Mikey and the crew turned politics into comedy by riffing on Barack Obama and John McCain comic books and cheering the possibility of Sarah Palin spoofing Tina Fey on Saturday Night Live. Their studio bits included hanging toy gophers to tease Skye, dressing Ashley's puggle Sammy for "Pimp My Puggle," and hearing Eddie insist he could block Chargers linebacker Sean Phillips once in ten tries. Mikey also previewed a serious discussion of his faith, arguing that the unusual 28-hour format made room for honest discussion of differing beliefs, before the group organized Mikey Idol and performed a Bauman and Woods parody. Danielle Turner and Jordan described his recovery at Rady Children's Hospital, while Adeline, Charlotte, and Skye's mother brought family chaos to the Mom Chick Challenge trivia game.
What happened, in order
Candidate Comic Books
The crew described biographical comic books about Barack Obama and John McCain, then mocked the candidates by inventing superhero powers and a dinosaur-fighting past for McCain.
Palin Spoofs Fey
The hosts delighted in a rumor that Sarah Palin would appear on Saturday Night Live to spoof Tina Fey's American Express commercials.
Gopher Assassin
Stuffed gophers were hung outside the studio for each elapsed hour while the crew cast Skye as an anime-style gopher assassin and she jokingly denied the charges.
Pimp My Puggle
Ashley dressed her puggle Sammy in a tutu, crown, bandana, and other outfits while the hosts delivered an escalating barrage of jokes about the dog's appearance.
Blocking Sean Phillips
Eddie claimed that given ten attempts he could block Chargers linebacker Sean Phillips once, even while conceding Phillips would destroy him on the other nine.
Mikey Talks Faith
Mikey announced a candid segment about his faith, arguing that the unconventional 28-hour show made room for a subject too personal and potentially divisive for the normal morning program.
Mikey Idol Draw
The crew prepared an outdoor Mikey Idol performance, boasted about their stage strengths, drew the singing order, and immediately began negotiating trades.
Bauman and Woods
The hosts launched into a bro-heavy Bauman and Woods parody about sales awards, luxury cars, tobacco spit, divorced parents, and a supposed trip to Milan.
Jordan's Recovery
Danielle Turner recounted how Rady Children's Hospital treated her son Jordan through a rare neurological illness until medication worked and he recovered.
Mom Chick Challenge
Adeline, Charlotte, and Skye's mother competed in a trivia game that produced wrong moon and tennis-elbow answers, correct responses about President Clinton's cat and the Great Lakes, and a chaotic dropped call.

And then the caramel apple was just money, man. Caramel apple. What? Caramel? What? He's offended. I'm very sorry. Don't you go to Caramel Mountain? Caramel Mountain Road? How dare you? It's Caramel Mountain Road. Oh, this one's helping me pronounce things. Oh, yeah. Maybe he's right, then. That could be. Wow, Jay, that is uncomfortable to watch. I'm just saying. Okay. Where is Mike? I need that guy back. Holy cow. Okay, good times here, everybody. What else we got on that docket over there? It's not a docket. It's just a piece of paper. I don't even know what a docket is. Okay. Let's see. Obama, McCain, comic books.
It stands today. What is... What? Whoa. Yeah, so these are comic books that are basically bios for Obama and McCain. There's an Obama one and a McCain one, and they'll be sold separately. And they also will have one in a bound edition that's kind of more like a book. And the cover will be each of the candidates standing in front of a U.S. flag. It'll tell their life stories. There'll be illustrated scenes in the McCain one of the time he was... Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? I've got other superpowers. At the time he was a POW. Well, McCain's is aging. He ages rapidly. Barack is hearing. Barack is actually nothing. It's being awesome. Do you smell what Barack is cooking? He'll kill you with his non-substance. Come on. Just shush. Come on. Oh, really? No!
The McCain one will show the time McCain fought the dinosaurs. That's interesting to read about. You got him that time. I sure did. Why do we disagree on that? Is there anything else on that sheet we disagree about? I'm sure you're upset that the jet safety Eric Smith lost his appeal of the one game suspension. $50,000 fine by the NFL for his helmet-to-helmet hit last week on Anquan Bolden. Oh, I've been wondering what happened. Yeah, I know you were. I keep checking ESPN.com. So that's upsetting this guy. Yeah, I'm just mortified. Okay, well. Beside myself. This is a lot of weird stuff here. Oh, rumors that Sarah Palin. is going to make an appearance on Saturday Night Live spoofing Tina Fey's American Express commercials. That is awesome. That would be awesome. That is awesome. I would love to see that, yeah. Saturday Night Live won't confirm nor deny the rumor, but the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that, yeah, Sarah Palin will spoof Tina Fey by doing her American Express commercials. Awesome. I love it. Genius. Yeah. Okay. Totally.
Brilliant. Total brill. Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? What's going on with the Johnsonville? The brotties? The brott thing. I'm starving. Not there. Are they cooking them up, Sean? Can you tell? Hold on. Can you see? You see some smoke coming out of that bad boy? Oh, there it is. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Does it look like they're cooking stuff? Yeah, they're definitely cooking right now. Oh, dude. I cannot wait to have a brat. Oh. It sounds so good right now. In fact, it looks like there's a secondary truck up there that has all the brats. So they have two trucks up there now. My favorite basketball player is LeBrat James. Really? That's how much I love brats. Wow, that's a lot of love. I feel refreshed. Oh, good. What did you do? I washed my face. Did you feel poo? No. I washed my face. I tinkled. Oh, this makes me feel better. I will. I will later. Come look. You'll think this is cute. Rebecca threw Jake on the video camera. Oh, he is so cute. Isn't that cute? Oh, I love him so much. I wish I could get the volume. Oh, I love him so much. I'm taking time to look at the little kid because I don't get to see him today. Freaking adorable. All right. What were you guys talking about? We just talked about that Tina Fey, Sarah Palin thing. What was it?
Sarah Palin may do Saturday Night Live. Oh, really? And spoof Tina Fey. Which is awesome. Serves that jerk right. Dude, that would be so hilarious. That's very funny. I bet she will. Isn't that good, Sky? Dude. Who brought the... Edible Arrangements. That's the name of them? Yeah, that's the company. And there's P1s that work there in our band. Well, let me tell you something. So they sent us a bouquet. That company is smart because... They knew that if we tried it, we'd love it. That's good. Oh, so good. So bomb. And it arrived like ice cold, which is really awesome because it's like frozen. Well, it's like chocolate and like bananas dipped in chocolate. Oh, Mike, it was kind of like what I was trying to go for during the cook-off. Wait a minute, Ash. I don't know that you necessarily were headed that direction. Even close. Even close. Screwed it up. That would have been practically identical. For the record. I don't know.
Doubtful. I don't think we can really say that. You're doubtful. You are a doubt. You are. We got a legal ID here. Legal it. Hit it. Let me legal. You're listening to the 28-Hour Mikey Show, brought to you by Johnsonville Bratz on KIOZ, San Diego's Rock 105.3. The following takes place between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The word of the hour is 28. We missed a word. Well, we didn't miss a word, but the people out in the parking lot did. So, let me see. Let me find out what it was. I got a number of them. Find out, Mike. I know what it was. Was it Mikey? No, it was the one after it. Oh, did we just hit the legal? Yeah. Yeah? What was the word? I didn't get it. Rob, you're not eligible for the $1,000 gas card. By 10 tomorrow morning, Mike won't know. That's true. Kind of true. What was it, Oates?
Show. The word that the people outside missed while we were out there was show. What did we just play? Zeth? 28. Okay. There you go. Rob, write it down so maybe you can get the $1,000 gas card. Will you tell Eddie to stop throwing stuff at me? We are doing the word of the hour. Write down the word of the hour. And tomorrow... When we come on the air, when we sign off at 10, if you can tell us with the whole long sentence that we've been, you know, given all these words, what that whole thing says, $1,000 gas card. Super cool. It's huge. How's Sammy doing? I had Kaylee take her on a walk because she's just, she's done. I'm ready to pimp that pogo. Are you? I'll call her. I'm ready to pimp that pogo. Yes! Can I just say I have not broken the seal yet today? You haven't peed? No. That's bad. How have you not? Yeah, how have you not? I'm like Iron Man, dude. Iron Man. I'm like Cal Ripken Jr. They're the most random people. I'm like Shad, dude. I'm like Stevie Wonder over here. I'm like Leona Helmsley over here. Check it out, Mike. I'm like Jack Del Rio. I was going to say Florence Hennepsen, but that's poo. Mike!
I haven't gone peeps. I haven't gone peeps. Number one. I haven't gone number one. Who played Mr. Bentley? Yeah, what was his name? Yeah. He didn't pee either. Or, shall I say, rather rarely. I'm like Alan Thicke. Yeah, I'm like Alan Thicke. Infrequent urination. Why do they salute every time they put a gopher up? Because it's dead. They sang goodbye to it. Was it in the military before it died? Outside of our window, they are hanging gophers every hour that goes by. They have these stuffed animal gophers. On nooses. On nooses. And every hour that goes by, they hang another gopher because Skye is a gopher assassin. Yes. She lives to kill gophers. She likes to murder them in cold blood. She's like...
She's just like Lucy Liu's character in Kill Bill. She's a female assassin, and she's on the top of a building with an assassin's scope and rifle. In anime. Yeah, like in anime. Yeah. And you hear, like, Zamfear whistling in the background. Come on. Tell us. And there she is looking at the gopher, eyeing it up. I've never killed a gopher. Neither have I. I'm not guilty. You can't prove I killed a gopher. I got my stuff back from a gopher. That's right. I got my what? My stuff back. At gunpoint. Well, it's mine. What would you do? If somebody took your stuff, wouldn't you commit kidnapping, larceny, and burglary? Attempted murder? And assault with a deadly weapon. Well, the gun wasn't loaded. Okay. Hey, listen. If that makes me guilty, then so be it. Guilty as charged. But I didn't do it. But not guilty. Guilty yet not guilty. Are we ready to pimp the Puggle? Oh, no. This is going to be awesome. I don't know about this. Okay, I'm going to hit the ladies' room. She's so antsy. Ashley's dog is a Puggle.
And it's the most hideous animal I've ever seen. It really is. Listen, we make fun. Dude, that thing is hideous. It really isn't that awesome. It's not good looking. Something is wrong with it, like physically wrong with it. You've seen those ugly dogs. Oh, God. Oh, gross. Sammy just came in. What happened to you, dog? That poor dog will never get married. This guy's Mike. Wait, put her up to the mic. Let her lick it. Oh, it smells. Ew. Oh, no. Say hi to everyone. Say hi to everyone. That guy's mic. All right. What we're doing is we're doing something called Pimp My Puggle. And so what we're going to do is we're going to take this hideous dog and we're going to dress it up. Make her pretty. Yeah, we're going to make her pretty. She does all the stuff over there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Ash? Yeah. Were you pimper? Yeah. All right, so in the corner, in the corner, in the corner, we have a little pink doggy basket, you know, that they sleep in. Oh, look at this. And the first outfit. What is that? That's hysterical. The first outfit is a pink doggy. A ballerina? Well. What is it? It's like a baby seat. Ashley or the dog?
Oh, wow. It's like a tank top. It's a pink tank top with like a tutu at the end of it. Oh, isn't that precious? Is there a tiara for it? Good girl, Sammy. Why are you talking like that? That's how she talks to her. That's how she talks to her. That's how they communicate. Sammy Duff. Oh, this is a little snug on her. Oh, that's not a little snug. Okay. That's so fat. Oh, she's so fat. Listen, that's not quite her size, but it's okay. They're videotaping her and taking pictures of her. Rob, are you okay? No. What are you going to put on her? That's so funny. Go to MikeyShow.com. Yeah, you can see all this online. And you can see this all online, MikeyShow.com. And you can see all this live video. It's strangling the dog. I think so. What is this? Oh, it's the head. It goes on the head. Oh, that's the dog's head? I thought it was his butt. Control your head. Control your head. Let's see the final problem. Oh, my. Oh, that's so. Mike, we're making a snuff film here. No. No. Yeah.
Dude, I just got a great idea, Mike. Oh, my God. We got to make a Sammy calendar. Oh, dude, that's fantastic. Sammy calendar. You know who will buy it. Yeah. We'll sell it on Halloween. Oh, that's hideous. Yes. We should go into the performance studio. Ashley, what's wrong with her face? What's wrong? Oh, it is? No. I thought there was, I thought, does somebody have an iron? I thought there was, like, some cruel experiment. I thought she was part plant. Has she been in lime juice for an hour? Dude, that's not a dog. That's ceviche. Oh, my gosh. Oh, dude. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Dude. It's about ready to feed. Be careful. Ashley, what are you putting her in now? The small intestine.
I thought those couldn't be out in sunlight. Oh, my gosh. She's partly digested. This outfit is called the lower colon. Oh, that's fantastic. This is more manly. This is not her. What is that? That's hilarious. Please go to MikeyShow.com. Please go to MikeyShow.com. Oh, no. And look at these pictures of Sammy. That looks like a box tee. It looks like bangers and mash. Minus the mash. Well, I think the mash is all up front. Yeah, the mash is right up here. No, no, number two. She's number two. She's definitely number two. Definitely number two. It's like stew. Wow. Yeah, she looks like your bruschetta. Dude. Her face has been boiled. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Now, which one is this? Dude, look at this.
She got on a little red bandana. A little red bandana. Oh, she yawned. She's over it. What is that? And a pink crown that's been bedazzled. That is beautiful. Humiliation is the worst form of torture. You have kids someday. She's got snakes growing out of her head. She is so cute. She's a kraken. Or a crack addict. Crack addicts are like, hey, that's not cool. You're thinner than that. Wow. Is that all the outfits? You've got to save that one, Ash. That one is delicious. It's huge. You've got to take this. You had to take Sammy to the dog park. Ashley, it's got a little something on it. Hideous. Never mind. Hideous. Forget it. Come here. You're doing so great. Wow. That was crazy. Look at her. That is so awful. You should put her into modeling. She is cute. Yes. Is that all the outfits? Thank God. Thank you. That was brutal. A dog just ran under. That's not a dog. It's a bat. She's coming after you.
She's over there now. Uh-oh. Can you get your beast out of here? She's now under the table. They're both under the table. Oh, gosh. How do you love that? I know it. You're number one. No. It's like Sharon Mask. Wow. Yes, please. Please take her home. To Transylvania. Put her back in the coffin. That was crazy. Oh, my. Wow. That was interesting. Kate Blanchett cut that thing's head off in Return of the King. Can you turn the lights off? That was incredible. I'm hoping that the lights will kill my memories. That was really perfect.
Wait till you see those pictures. No, do not do it. Don't wait. Do not wait. Do not do it. Unbelievable. Holy cow. All right, let's do this email. I got an email. Before you do that, actually, Sean Phillips is going to call in in like two minutes. Does he? Yeah. He does the bowling move. Yeah. The what? After he has a sack, he pretends that he's bowling. Does he know that's a different sport? Mm-mm. Don't tell him. Don't tell him. I will. Yeah, let him know. I will. Let him know what's up. Dude, did you know you're playing football? Mm-hmm. Please. Eddie, could you get by? Do you think you could get by? Or do you think that you could protect the quarterback against Sean Phillips? If you had 15 tries. I don't need 15. You don't need 15. If you give me 10. 10. 10 attempts to block him. 10 attempts to block him. I think I would stuff him. Wow. Not only would I just block him, I'd stuff him. We're talking about Sean Phillips. One time. We're talking about Sean Phillips. He'd beat me nine times out of ten. I'd like to see that. He would destroy me nine times out of ten. But that tenth time. But you're saying that tenth time. I'll get him. You'll get him. I'll get him. I'll run wide or something. I mean, I know what I'm doing. Fantastic. I mean, guys are great. One of the best linebackers in the league right now. Of course. You know, come on. Please. Man. I know what I'm doing. Okay. The kid knows. I still don't believe that, but okay. Bye, guys. I'd like to see it.
We've had guests hanging out. They were cool and quiet. Sean likes it when guests are really quiet. Well, otherwise they just try and take over the show. I don't like that. If you were good enough to be on the radio, you'd have your own show. You consider someone saying hello trying to get on the radio. Trying to take over the show. No, that's not true. If someone says hello, you say they're trying to take over the show. That's not true. If they grab the microphone away from you to try and get on the radio and say hello. That's ridiculous. At that point, they're definitely taking over. You're being ridiculous. We just got word that we have some pictures from the shenanigans this morning are up on MikeyShow.com. Already? Oh, no. First thing that comes up, dude, look. Mikey running with the ball. Let me see. Mikey's outfit. Let's see. First picture that comes up. The running of the bulls outfit. Oh, that is classic. Really funny. Go to MikeyShow.com. Where do you find the pictures? It's underneath the donation page. Underneath the donation thing. Oh, so you click on 28-hour show. Yeah, it says 28-hour show photos. Got it. They'll make it bigger. Oh, wow. Look at me. Dude, that is hysterical. Rob playing the bongo drums.
We've already had a pretty crazy day. I want that to be my screensaver. The picture of me with the two bowls behind me. Yes. I want that to be my new screensaver. And they got pictures of that girl Nadine that came in from Channel 5. Yeah, dude, Nadine. Yeah, great, dude. Yeah, Nadine. She's great. That's some nice tea. Oh, real good. What are you doing? No, no, no. What is that voice? What do you suppose that voice is? I think she's trying to do the fast time iced tea. Oh, it's Damone. Yeah, it's Damone. Can anybody give her a break here? Right. But I have ears. Yeah, it's our bad. We're going to be talking to Sean Phillips here any second. He's the linebacker for the San Diego Chargers.
Big game coming up on Sunday, Mike. Who are we playing? Oh, just the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Oh, my gosh. Huge. Huge. And we got a lot of good stuff coming up, too. We really have a good show today. Today? I would hope so. Yeah, please. We're going to do the Mom Chick Challenge this hour. It's going to be good. Mom, please don't embarrass me. Who are the moms? Skye's mom? Skye's mom, Rob's mom, and the debut of Ashley's mom. Oh, hi. Hi, Sarah. She's really nervous about coming on, and, like, she really wants to make sure she's by her phone, and she's like, okay, so are you going to call me, or am I calling you? Okay. Am I supposed to call you Ashley on the air, or can I call you Sarah? How does she say hi to you when she calls? She says, say hello to my little friend. Every time I pick up, she goes, hey, Sarah. That's how she talks, I swear. She's the best. I am doubting this. She's the best.
Well, we're going to do what we call the dumb chick challenge with the moms. And the dumb chick challenge is where we ask one, two, and three-point questions. Ones are easy threes. They're a little tougher. But they're very basic knowledge kind of questions. As the crow flies. That's right. And, you know, we just see what people think. Let's see. Where do I have this? What? That looks good. Eddie got some good stuff. Oh, that's nine tonight. I'm going to let people know something now that we're going to be doing tonight that is going to trip some people out. Tonight at 8 o'clock, I'm going to talk about my faith in a really almost shocking way. I give my testimony and everything at the end of the show on Friday. But tonight at 8 o'clock, I'm going to talk about my faith. And the only reason I say shocking is because I just never heard it on the radio. I'm just going to...
Talk about my faith. And I think that the reason that it'd be good radio is you never heard anything like it. You, if anything, if you don't, if you don't believe the way that I believe, you know, it's just info. You're just hearing some info and you go, Hey, now I know the way that they believe. I met a Jehovah's witness a couple of days ago and I got some information because I didn't know anything about Jehovah's witnesses and I wanted to. I wanted to know. I mean, I want to know what's the difference. I mean, I think it's interesting to know what's the difference between my faith and your faith and what do you believe and what do I believe and all that stuff. And I think it's important. And so anyway, so because that is the biggest part of my life, it's the biggest part of my life. I'm going to talk about it tonight at eight o'clock. The reason that I am is because it's one of those things where I kind of feel like, man, people miss out on. The biggest part of my life, you know, people get to hear different parts about me and stuff like that. And then the other thing, too, and I got to make it a point to say this, because if I'm in the spirit of honesty, it's not appropriate for the morning show for me to talk about it like I'm going to tonight. And the reason that I felt that it was the only reason I felt that it could be appropriate is because the 28 hour show is so unconventional. It's so different. It's so.
It's already so odd and so weird and quirky and strange what we do. We go on the air for 28 hours. And I thought, what if I were to talk about the biggest thing in my life, which is my faith? And here's what I hope. I hope people don't get upset. And I know that there is, for whatever reason, man, that's one of those buttons. It's one of those buttons. And, man, I sure don't want it to be a button. But I also want you, I think that you guys will trip out and go, oh, this dude's really into it, man. He's really into it, you know, and talk about it a little bit. So we'll do that at 8. 9 o'clock tonight, we, this looks so good, Eddie. I wanted to go into it right now, but it's for 9 o'clock tonight. I am going to read to you. Stuff white people like. This is good. I'm just looking at it right now. I got to give you a couple of these. Stuff white people like. Sushi. It's so white. It's so white. Marijuana. Marijuana. Very white.
I don't know about that one. It's pretty white. I don't know. I know some brothers that smokey smoke. Some Mexican. Harold and Kumar, hello. Please. Please. Okay. Some other stuff that's white. There's got to be something about Starbucks in there. Arrested Development. Oh, yes. Yes. Extraordinarily white. Yeah. And genius. Apple products. Apple products. Yep, yep, yep. I feel you. You know what else white people like? 80s night. So true. Sean. Sean. Sean. Sean is white. Sean. Sean's very white. Sean was telling me yesterday that he used to live in Oakland, which is predominantly black. Oktown? Oh, yeah. And when he lived in Oakland, He was really good friends with a lot of black women, and they made fun of him all the time. It was so bad, you know, because we'd just be having a regular conversation, and, you know, they'd say something like, oh, I saw this movie. It was really great. And maybe I'd seen it also, and I'd go, oh, yeah, man, it was cool. And they'd turn around, and they'd look at me and go, yeah, man, cool. All the time. That's fantastic. It was hard. That is funny.
Phone lines are blowing up. 570-1053 is our phone number. Our text number is 35253. Are you checking text Boston Robert? Mm-hmm. Let's see. Okay, so what were we going to do? We're waiting for Sean Phillips to call. We're waiting for Sean Phillips to call. Yeah. We haven't even done new releases, huh? From yesterday? No. We never did them. Uh-uh. Oh, wow. What is he doing? He didn't do anything. He was just standing by you. Eddie was just standing by you. He was not. What were you doing? He was standing next to you. What were you doing? Oh, man. Look at Sean. Seriously. He was really upset. What? Our phone number. Mike, is there something on my back? 570-1053. No, he was... Seriously. No, what he did was... Oh, boy. Oh, someone's freaking out. You didn't realize it, but his face was about half a millimeter from your head. He was just saying hi. He was just saying hi to you. Hi. You're okay, Sean. You weren't touched.
I might have dripped a little sweat, but no. He didn't. I'm sweating. It's still hot. You better fool him. You don't look like you're sweating. He didn't. I'm hot from the go-go. Guys. I'm going to change my shirt. No, you're not. Just squeeze some lime in it. Tonight, ladies and gentlemen, at 5 o'clock, Mikey Idol Live. Oh, my God. Wow. In the round. This is going to be ridiculous. In our outdoor venue. We're going to be outside on a stage performing Mikey Idol. I am not competing tonight, but I will do a special performance. Oh, you're our mentor. I'm your mentor. Got any advice for us? Yes, I do. You really have to feel those lyrics, guys. I'm dead. You really have to feel those lyrics. It won't be a problem for me. Any of you are singing. Yeah. We're going to perform. Oh, yeah. In which order? For sure. Yeah. So, Sky, can you make up one through six? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Even Zeth is going to sing. I think I'm going to do really good, and I'm not even freaking kidding. You're not even kidding. No, like, I have a song. It's my tone. Oh, good. Like, my whole performance, the fact that I get to perform and people can see me is going to make it so much better. How many times? You're going to do really good. That's my strength. Mike. My strength. Yeah.
Is the stage, you know. Her strength is the stage. It's a lead combination. I love it. I support it. Can anyone please? You know? I saw it on YouTube. Her strength is the stage. It's going to be good. All right. And what's that link? Let me read some text messages we're getting. Mikey, what's up with Bauman and Woods? Are they coming? P1 real nice. We're here right now, dude. What's up? It's great. Yeah, we're here all the time, all right? Yeah, dude. Tell them what happened. Tell them about Kibler, dude. She got blown out? What's the deal? Nah, dude. She won't let you come, bro. Yeah, Kibler won't let me come. Yeah, dude. Important meeting or something. I don't know, dude. Whatever. It's a big meeting going on, and I've been top sales guy here in Dallas for four quarters in a row. Okay, great. Show off. Four quarters in a row. Whoa. Oh, did you see that? Yeah, dude. You're spitting tobacco all over my car, bro. Who is? You are, bro. What? Oh. Dude, please don't spit tobacco all over my Alcantara leather. Dude, why are you showing off, bro? My BMW. I'm not showing off, dude. Yeah, real cool, dude. I'm not showing off, dude. You know I love you. I drive a Saturn, bro. Okay. That's great. That's a nice ride, dude. Don't make fun of me. You know what, dude? All right, you're my friend. Don't put it down, all right? You're my friend. Dude, my parents bought it for me, okay? That's great. That's great. That's right, dude. You know what? It's real great to have parents who care and love and respect you enough that they would do something like that for you. They're divorced, dude. Thanks, bro.
Thanks. I forgot, dude. Keep bringing it up. I wasn't bringing it up on purpose. That even got on me. You just spit. Nah, dude. I rolled down the window. You're acting like a diva. I'm not acting like a diva. You just spit all over my BMW. Whatever, dude. Come on. Why aren't we going to see Mikey and Eddie, dude? All right? Mike and Eddie have been asleep for nine hours, bro. Okay? That's great. It's four o'clock in the morning. Whatever. We're in the middle of Beaumont. Let's go see him, dude. All right? Let's go see him. We're not going to knock on their door. That's rude. You knock on Kiosk's door. You go, hey, Kiosk! You act like a gentleman, bro. Make me a cocktail, bro. All right? Kiosk! He's got neighbors. He's got neighbors. Mind your manners. Come on. Oh. Oh. Where are we going, Greenville? What's up? Sit up straight and act like a gentleman. Come on. You're embarrassing me. Can you scratch my back? What? I'm not going to scratch your back and pull your boxer shorts down into your pants. It's ridiculous. What are you, male model? What are you doing? You're a clown, dude. Yeah, dude, Milan. Look at that. That's Milan? Yeah, take a look. Why does it say Walmart on it? Yeah, dude, whatever. Sorry I'm not rich like you, dude. I'm just kidding around with you, brother. Sorry I can't actually go to Milan. Let me tell you something. Milan, France, or wherever you go.
Just because Clear Channel sent me to Milan on an all-expenses-paid trip. Okay, here we go. One time two years ago. You're better than me. I get it. Because I had been the sales guy of the year four quarters in a row. There's no reason. That's great, dude. I love you, dude. You know that. You're like a brother to me. You're like my little brother. I love you. Come here. Give me a kiss. Get out of here. Numbers. Let's draw. Let's draw. No, you're not drawing. Let's draw. Yeah. Mike goes first. You're doing the mentor performance. Oh. Oh, I get it. I thought you wanted me to draw. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What am I thinking? I got to go. Who draws first? Doesn't matter? No, it doesn't matter. It's all luck of the draw, right? Yep. Come on, first, Rob. Rob will be performing. Fourth. Ooh, bad spot. A bad spot? No, good spot. I don't know. Hey, hey. Sean, are you big? Sean, you are performing. Uh-oh, first. Fifth. Yeah, Sean, right after me, dude.
Sean's performing fifth. I think the vaunted spot would be last to make the impression. Sixth. I don't want one. Anything but one. I don't want one. Sky's cheating. Sky's cheating. Sky's going four. Sky right before me. Eddie? Eddie's either going first or last. No, there's three left. There's three left? I want last. Zeth has not drawn. Oh, Eddie. Anything but first. He put his hand in there and then he drew back. It's scary, dude. He's reaching. He's reaching. He's pulling it out. And he's going. Come on, lotto ticket. He's going second. And he's going second. Hey, you didn't want first. I don't want second either. But you didn't say that. You said, I don't want to go first. He's so superstitious. He has rules about everything. I don't want to go first either. Well, Ashley and Zach. Come on, Ash. Pick that one. Either one of those, actually. Pick that one, Ash. Is Ashley going first or last? Oh, she looks so nervous. Pick that one. Wait, there's a trade going on. We just have a trade. There's a trade. A trade? You can't trade. Someone just moved up in the draft. Yes. Ashley just picked her number. Ash. Yes!
Seth goes last? We're so sorry, everybody. All right, so what's the order? Actually, I'm fine with that. We'll kick it off strong. All right, so what's the order? Well, there's been a trade. Oh, no. There's been a trade. Sean preferred to go sooner rather than later. I'd rather go later. Okay. So I'm getting the fifth spot. Sean is getting the second spot. So Eddie performs then. Then last is Seth. So I got to follow Sean's clown school performance. Oh, I love it. There won't be much to follow. Oh, I'm sure. I'm trying to get it out of the way. I feel so much better. Oh, wow. Riz, we're going to rock this joint. Yeah, dude. All right, let's read some more texts we got. Let's see. Mikey, it's so awesome to hear you guys past your normal time. You're as good as it gets. No surprise there. I'm glued to every second. P1 Leonidas. Awesome. Mikey, we couldn't hear the word of the hour at 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock in the parking lot. Can you let us know what it was? P1HB. 1 o'clock was the word show. 2 o'clock was the word for. We are giving out the word of the hour at the top of every hour. And tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, we're going to ask you to call us and tell us what all 28 words were. They form a giant long sentence.

Speaking of, on the inside line there, we have Danielle Turner who has a story about Children's Hospital. Danielle, are you there? Yes. Danielle, how did you come to know Children's? My son was actually in the hospital for a month and one week, so that's how I got to know. What's your son's name? Jordan. And how old was he when he was in? He had just turned eight. Just turned eight years old? Like a couple months after his eighth birthday. What was he in there for? He had a neurological disorder called Sindenham's Korea. It's a post-strip throat or rheumatic fever. What is that? It's... It's like a one in a million chance of getting type thing. It's normally, oh, there's like 300 cases in the country last year. It's really rare. I guess if you have strep throat and not taken care of or rheumatic fever, it's something you can get without antibiotics. Oh, my. Yeah, it's involuntary movement. You know, like you can't stop moving your face, your whole body.
So what happened? We were coming home from a trip in Big Bear, and we noticed some just different facial movements in him. And we took him in, and they diagnosed him with what he had. And it was real mild, but it progressed to be worse to the point where he just couldn't, like, walk anymore. He couldn't really talk. And he got to the point where he couldn't eat. And it was something they said, you know, three months to a year could last. But he ended up being hospitalized because he couldn't eat. And so he was on a feeding tube and IVs and those sorts of things. And then they finally got medicine that finally worked because at one point they didn't know if he would be 100% again. And the medicines ended up working, and he's all better now. That's fantastic. And how were the people there at Rady's Children's Hospital? They're amazing. They helped us a lot. Emotionally, they were very good, the nurses. And the doctors were awesome at trying everything they could to get Jordan better. Because, you know, in the beginning, they tried different medicines to help it work and, you know, different things. Because it's such a rare illness that, you know, you don't know the right answer at all, you know, all the time. But they were really great to us. And we also, you know, had people really intrigued by maybe Jordan's story or his illness. And they got to have...
He got to have Chargers come into the hospital to see him. Nice. There you go. So that was pretty cool. He's a huge Charger fan. Attaboy. That's great. Well, these are the types of stories that are inspiring, and I'm hoping that there are people listening, especially people that have kids. Well, Jordan's right here if you want to say hi to him. Yeah, let me say hi. Sure. Hold on. Hello. How you doing, Jordan? Good. Are you doing all right? Hey, tell everybody. About the people at Rady's Children's Hospital. Were they pretty cool to you? Yes. All the nurses were nice to me, and they kept giving me different medicines. That's awesome. That's awesome. So how old are you? Nine right now. Nine years old. You like the Chargers? Yeah. Who's your favorite player? I really don't have a favorite player. You don't like LT? I like all of them. Yeah, you do. Aw, he's a good guy. What kind of stuff are you into? What kind of stuff do you like to do? I like to play football, baseball. That's cool. That's cool. How about those video games? You like those video games? A little bit. Just a little bit. What do you like? Which ones do you like to play? The Xbox 360. There you go. Oh, yeah. Bill Gates over here. That's right. It's a regular Bill Clinton. Nice. Oh, that's great.
Hey, well, listen, Jordan, we're really glad that you're feeling good and that things are better for you, and we are glad that you made your radio debut today, man. Oh, yeah. It was really cool. You want to give a shout-out to one of your friends? Yeah, you want to say hi to one of your friends? Yeah. Who do you want to say hi? I want to say hi to my family because you're in the car right now. Oh, that's cool. Attaboy. That's cool, man. Okay, well, let me talk to your mom real quick. Okay. Hello. Mom, thanks for hanging in with us, and thank you for everything that you've done, you know, in your support of Rady's Children's Hospital and you calling us and letting us know this story. We appreciate that. Oh, you're welcome. Anything. They've done so much for us. We're doing really, you know, not that much, so it feels good to do anything they ask. That's cool. All right. Well, hey, thanks for calling us, and we will talk to you soon. Okay. Thank you. All right. We'll see you. That's Danielle. Very cool. Really cool. Go to MikeyShow.com. Click on that keyword, donate, and you'll go to that page where it's going to show you what to do. And people that give $50 or more are going to get a limited edition 28-hour show t-shirt. Yeah. Awesome. It's the 2008 28-hour show t-shirt. It's an awesome t-shirt. It's top of.
Yeah, man, children's hospital is one of those things that you hope you never, ever, ever have to use. But thank God it's there if you do. Because the work they do, man, it's beyond words. It really is. Those are like real-life angels. It's true, man. It's so true. Stop it. It is. In a little bit, we're going to be playing the mom chick challenge. Getting the moms on right now. Skinner. Eddie, tell me again. Sky's mom? Sky's mom, Rob's mom, who is very wicked smart. She's wicked smart. And I want to say, can I talk to Robert? Robert, you and the boys. Robert, I love you so much, son. I love you so much. And let me tell you something. Wash behind your ears. Read a book. Read a book. Drink your milk. Change your underwear. Every once in a while, please. Please. Please, son. For the love of blood. But mom. For the love of everything. And the debut of Ashley's mom. Oh. Playing the dumb chick challenge. Well, excuse me. The mom chick challenge. The mom chick challenge. So very similar in rules. First prize at Cadillac Eldorado. We'll find out. Second prize is second prize set of steak knives. Yeah. What's third prize? Second prize set of steak knives.
Third prize is you're not my mom anymore. Oh, ouch. That's a little harsh. Put that coffee down. Coffee is for closers. I want to take bets and odds on who's the smartest mom. Who do we think is going to be the smartest mom? My mom's a teacher. Yeah, I think all our moms are really smart. Third grade. Okay. What? Why are you laughing at that? I think they are. I don't know. I've never one time talked to Ashley's mom, so it's hard to gauge that. Yeah, that's true. But, I mean, it is Ashley. She's just your typical mom. She's really, really smart. But her brother went to Harvard. That's true. Yeah, and my sister's currently going to Davis. Hello. Oh, another Ivy League school. Another Ivy League. Shut up. You shut up. And if you ask my mom, she'll tell you that I am very smart. You're smart. Does she ever talk to you? Okay. Do we have them all on the line? They're all on the line. Hey, Eddie, do we have anything for that or no? That one I don't think so. I don't think we have one. All right, well, let's do this. Let's get all the moms on the line. First of all, let's say hello to Adeline. Hey. How are you? I am well. I am watching you guys here in New York. Look at you. You're the best. Hi, Mom. Hi, darling. Can you see me on the camera?
Mom, I'm waving to you on the camera. You sound like Mike TV. For total Mike TV. You know what I mean? Hi, Mom, out there in radio land. You guys are having a blast. Oh, yeah. Adeline. Hi, Mom. I see you. That's so cute. Adeline, it's great to have you on. I know for a fact that you're very smart. In fact, Adeline has her own radio talk show. Oh, excuse me, Rush Limbaugh. Oh, look at this. You're smart. I do. And, all right, let's get the other moms on the line. Ashley's mom is on the line. Ashley's mom, are you there? She's not there. She is not there. Ashley is dying laughing. That is the best. Wow. Of course she's not. Of course she's not, Karen. That is perfect. That is, of course. Sensational. Dude. That's fantastic. Oh, hi, Karen. I thought you were a town marketer. Who is this? Who is this? Who is this? Okay, we have her now. We have her. Let's find out if she sounds like that. Is this Sarah's mom?
Yes, it is. Oh, there she is. There she is. Now, I have to ask you, have you ever heard your daughter do an imitation of you calling her? No, I haven't. It's fantastic. Let me have her do it now. Go ahead, Ash. Well, Mom, you know, like, whenever me or Stephen or Brittany mimic you, we'll be like, her, Mom. That is terrible. Sounds nothing like her. That's great. She has a normal voice. She's a great woman. How are you, Ashley's mom? I'm fine. I can't wait to see. I can't wait to see. Yeah. how you're going to do on this thing. Her name is Charlotte. Her name is Charlotte. Sorry. Let me write down. I'm nervous, too. I'm not very good at trivia questions, but I'm willing to try. Don't worry, Charlotte. Neither is your daughter. Runs in the family. Charlotte, you're going to do great. Okay. And then we've talked to her before. In fact, she gave us the lowdown on all of Skye's antics as a kid. By antics, you mean illegal activities.
Yeah, that's true. Oh, no. I was a kid, please. Different time. Finally, let's talk to... Skinner. Leonard Skinner. The Skinner. Hi, guys. How are you? I'm fine. A little nervous, though, today. Don't worry. No need. Come on, Mom. Can you read the news? Wow. Wow. Every time. Wow. Don't worry, Mom. They're just a bunch of clowns. Don't be mad. Yeah, Mom, don't worry about any of them. Okay, let's do this. Let's do this. All right, so this is the way that it works, ladies. We're going to go in the following order. Adeline, Charlotte, and Leonard Skinner. That's the way that it's going to go. That is Rob's mom, Ashley's mom, and Skye's mom. Come on, Mom. Now, what we're doing here is we're trying to get to five points. So you can take a one, two, or three-point question. Ones are easy. Threes are harder. And however you get to five points is up to you. Whoever gets their first wins. That's right. Easy. Do you understand, Mom? Yeah, I understand. She's not dumb. Hey, do you guys remember when my mom was on the air? I mean, I think Ashley is okay. I just need to make sure that she's okay with everything. I really want her to win. That was crazy. My mom was answering other people's questions.
I was a little confused that day. It happens. All right, we're going to start with Rob's mom, Adeline. Adeline, would you like a one, two, or three-point question? Okay, but so my cap is five points, correct? You have to get to five points, and you can get there any way you want. You can take a one-pointer, which is wicked easy. You don't want to do that. Mom, just go for it. Get the three-pointer out of the way. Then we'll go for a two. Let's conceal the win. Adeline, that's what your son tries. Mom, I won on Monday. I did a three-pointer, a two-pointer. I put everyone to shame. Come on. Show off that big brain he was, Mom. Let's do this. You're going to do a two-pointer. Two-pointer. There you go. All right, your two-point question, Adeline, is... Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon. Who was the second? Alan Shepard. Wow. That's a great answer, but incorrect. Who is that? Arthur? That's unfortunate. That is not correct. Buzz Aldrin was actually the second guy to walk on the moon. That's why you got to go for three-pointers, Mom. Those are harder. All right. Ashley's mother, Charlotte. Come on, Mom!
Charlotte is next. Don't mess up. Hey. That's not very supportive. Charlotte, what do you want to do? Do you want to play it easy and go one, or do you want to play it a little tougher and take a two- or three-point question? I'll take a two. Don't worry, Charlotte. There's just thousands of people listening right now. That's right. Why would you do that to her? Hey, my mom's scared of public speaking. Oh, gosh. All right, here we go. She has a huge fear of it. Charlotte, what was the name of President Clinton's family cat? That is correct. Wow. Apparently the apple falls light years away from the tree. I mean, unbelievable. Charlotte, I just want to let you know you lead the game with two points. All you need to do is answer a three-pointer next. I actually thought the moms are probably going to be smart. We should make it seven points. I think we should make it seven because I bet the moms are going to be a lot smarter. We're going to go with seven points, all right? Okay.
Leonard Skinner. That was my mom. That was Charlotte. Yep. Leonard Skinner, you're next. Let's see if the apple falls far from the tree. Whatever you're comfortable with, Mom. All righty. Well, let's try a two-pointer. Oh, really? Good strategy, Mom. Unbelievable. That's exactly what your daughter does. Unbelievable. That's a great strategy. That's exactly what your daughter does. Jeez. Okay, your two-point question is, how many lakes make up? The Great Lakes? Top of my head answer, I'm thinking five. You are correct. Skinner, we're talking Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, Lake Michigan, and Lake Ontario. Oh, no. Okay, Sean just spit out of his nose. Sean just spit out of his nose. That really hurt. That is terrible. Oh, yuck. All right, Adeline. Come on, Mom. Coming back to you. What do you want? A one, a two, or a three-point question? Okay, let me try a three-point question. Adda, girl, Mom. There we go. There we go. Sweet Adeline. Adeline? Yes. Formerly known as Atario Epican... Oh. This is going to be tough. Well said.
Listen, this is hour number nine. Hour number 10. Sound it out, Mike. Repeat that. Okay, I'm reading it just to make sure I can say this right. Uh-oh. Formerly known as a tarot epic. If you can't, I'm calling shenanigans. If you can't read the question, then we shouldn't use it. Epicondylitis? Epicondylitis? What is this? Who wrote this question? Eddie, did you write it? Rob, did you write it? Who wrote this question? Let me see it. Are you sure? Come here. Read this. What is he talking about? Zeth wrote it? Zeth, did you write this? I don't know. Did you write that question? It makes sense once you finish the question. Well, I know, but I can't say it. I've got to say this word. Get close. Mike, do you know the answer? Formerly known as Adderall epithelitis, what condition of the elbow is often associated with a certain sport? With a certain sport.
What condition of the elbow is associated with a certain sport? Okay. The elbow. Football. She's thinking. Football. What condition? Oh, no. Arthritis? No. She was going to say bowling foot. She was going to say bowling foot. Yes. It is... Tennis elbow. Mom, that question was bogus. Mom knew that before, right? That's the number three, ladies. Get, get, get. That's right. They're tough. My mom's got tennis elbow. Up next. I'll go for the socks question. There we go. Up next is Ashley's mom, Charlotte. Charlotte, would you like a one, a two, or a three-point question? What just happened? What just happened? Mother. Charlotte. Charlotte, hello? Mom? Did Charlotte hang up? What just happened here? What's going on? Ashley is laughing. Ashley is laughing. I don't know. She gets confused sometimes. Wait, wait. She heard that question and she hung up. Right. She's like, I'm out of here. She's like, I can't do this. Goodbye. You have to hang up the line. Can't you give us any political... Hang up. Wait, wait. That was Charlotte. Was that... Hey, Charlotte? No, that was... Hello? Wait. Hello? Mike. Hello? Who's online?
No, I just hung up, and that was Charlotte. So Charlotte was on the line. Hey, Adeline, are you there? I'm here. Uh, Leonard Skinner? Yep, I'm here. Okay, then it what? It was. Yeah, it was Adeline who was talking. Yeah, I think it was. Yeah, that was my mom. No, that was me. I said, give us the political question. Okay. All right, well, okay, we have her. We got her back? Yeah. Do we have her back? Yeah, she's here. Charlotte, Charlotte. Oh, no, what time? Charlotte, are you there? Oh, no. What are you doing? Charlotte, are you there? Yes, I am. Okay. So who did you hang up on? Adeline. We got to get Adeline back. I hung up on Adeline. A mistake. We're getting her back on. Charlotte, are you okay? Yes, I am. My phone, my cell phone, it does this one. I don't know why it's doing it, but it did it again. I'm sorry. That's okay. We got worried. Okay, well, we can ask Charlotte her question. Yes. Well, she has to pick a... Yeah, you got to pick, Charlotte. One, two, or three. One, two, or three point question. Two. You want a two-pointer. Planet safe. Yep, I like it. It's good. Charlotte, your two-point question is, name the soup which is popular in Japan and made from fermented soybean paste. So good. Soybean? I don't know. That's an American-friendly soup. I don't know. It is not. First of all, it's top ramen, mom. Okay.
Mike, we should go back to five. Stop Raymond. Drop it back down. My mom calls Pellegrino, Pellegrino, or Pelligrino. It is not, it is not Top Raymond. Everybody loves Top Raymond. That's right. On an all new, everybody loves Top Raymond. It's actually miso soup, mom. It's miso soup. That's right. Let's move on to Leonard Skinner. It's okay, Mom. I'm so hungry. That's right. And we have Adeline back on the line. Hi, Adeline. Hi, there. Yeah, Mom. All right, next up, Leonard Skinner. Come on, Mom. Go big. All right, bring it on. What are you going to do? A one, two, or three-pointer? A two-pointer, please. Mom gets the strategy. She does exactly what Sky does. Exactly what Sky does. Did you talk to her beforehand? No. She's just a huge P1. She knows how this works. Skynyrd? Shenanigans. I'm ready. Skynyrd, who was the, I know, she told her. I told her what? What did I tell her? 2-2-1. Does she have to team up with the boo and her mom? I mean, can't she just let anything play out? Just let it happen. Can't she let anything happen? Whatever. I love to win, Mike. At all costs. Yes. Even over friendship. Mother. Mother.
Two, two, one. Just repeat after me, mother. Two, two, one. Stop it. Say it.
