The Friday episode of The Mikey Show featured Mikey welcoming listeners and introducing the word of the day 'automobile' for SeaWorld tickets, while Woods sported a poncho due to the cold studio. The team played Catch Phrase with teams Jay and LLB versus Mikey and Woods, using a ticking device and giving clues for phrases like 'senior prom' and 'basketball dunk,' ultimately awarding Daniel from Oceanside tickets to see Portugal the Man. Mikey challenged himself to eat cantaloupe with tahin seasoning after a caller suggested lemon, chili powder, and salt, which he eventually tried and found surprisingly good. The show also covered the Michael Jackson/Conrad Murray trial with security guard stories about propofol and a condom catheter, and discussed Trump Casino's $25,000 plastic surgery prize mix-and-match options.

Yeah, welcome to Friday. Ready to get this thing underway. Oh, Jay, can you tell... Did Chris already go down? Not yet. Tell him that there is a guest in today, too. Yeah. Chris, there's a guest. Yeah, there should be a guest that's coming in today. Won an auction. The person won an auction a long time ago and gets to sit in on the Mikey Show today. Email at home, jacked up. My email here at work, jacked up. And it's my personal email, but I use it for work. So I got to figure it out. I got to figure out what's going on with it. And our number, 570-1949. If you want to text, 949mikey at gmail.com. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. And I'm 41. Woods is our sports guy. He's 36.
And it's so cold in the studio that Woodsy has taken to wearing a poncho. Your poncho. My poncho. I'll get it back to you. We've got to dry clean it for you. I promise you, I will not spill on it. Now, that's a little misleading. It makes people think that I own it and wear it. I don't. It was a costume. Well, not anymore since I now wear it. You do own it, though. It is yours. I bought it as a costume for Halloween. You bought it as a jacket. Yeah. L.O.B. looks really nice. Oh, wow. Thank you. You know that I've been so busy and so doing stuff this morning. This is the first moment I've really looked at you. Really? Yeah. I did sneak some makeup on my face. Did you do something to your hair? A couple weeks ago. Okay. Thanks, Ovation. Thank you. Four packet tickets to SeaWorld. And it's going to be Halloween Spectacular. And it's happening all the weekends in October. And they've got the real silly and spooky shows like Pirates 3D. So that'll be the word of the day prize today. And the word of the day is automobile. So when you hear me say that between now and 10, if you're caller 9, I'll give you that prize. You just got to be listening closely for it because it could come really at any time. And so you got to be listening for it. We are less than a week away from Mikey Thon, October 6th and 7th.
And it's going to be a mammoth undertaking this year. We have put so much time, so much time into getting this thing rolling for you. And you are going to love Mikey-thon this year. Not to mention the fact that for us to raise dough, we're really auctioning off some great prizes. We're going to be auctioning off some really fun and cool prizes. I had a dream last night about Mikey-thon. What was it? And I hope it's a dream come true. What is it? It was we were in our last hour and we were at $49,000. Oh, wow. Wow. And we were trying to reach $50,000. That would be so great. I know. I was so happy when I woke up and I was like, oh. I would say this, you know, it is possible because last year we raised $25,000. And the reason I say that it is possible is because last year, In terms of auction items that we were, and by the way, all the money goes to Rady and their Autism Discovery Institute. But when we were doing it last year, we had some cool auction items, but we didn't really have a lot. We didn't have a ton of stuff. This year, listen to some of this stuff. A signed Fender Strat from the band Audioslave. Tire Band has signed it.
Signed NFL football from Drew Brees. Signed NFL football from Antonio Gates. Photo book from the motion picture Crazy Heart signed by Academy Award winner Jeff Bridges. A humorous photo portrait of myself. It's really just a portrait of you. in Tommy Bahama gear. It's called Saturday Afternoon. Saturday Musings. Relaxing. Relaxing at home. How dare you. Oh, it's legendary. It's been a joke for many years that I wear Tommy Bahama. I actually don't, but for this photograph, I put on Tommy Bahama. I wore it. And they took pictures of me. It's not even ironic because it's just another day. So basically, are you leading us to believe that you are now, in fact, just auctioning pictures of yourself? Mm-hmm. Just on a Saturday at home, man. Well, lest anybody believe that I like Tommy Bahama stuff, all one will need to do is take a look on my face in that photograph.
That's a true statement. And you will know. You're acting, though. Yeah, you're an actor. You're a good actor, aren't you? You're a real good actor. We also have dinner for four. Dinner for four people. So you'll be auctioning. Maybe you can go in with another couple, but you'll be getting dinner for four at my house with the cast of The Mikey Show. And it'll be catered by Pample Moose Grill. Oh, man. Good, good, good food. It's the best restaurant. It's my favorite restaurant in the world. It's my favorite restaurant in the world. It's not just my favorite restaurant. It's my favorite restaurant in the world. Out of all the different places I've been. And it's right here in San Diego. It's in Del Mar off of Via Del Valle. And so, anyway, dinner at my place will be up for auction for you and three people that you choose. An INT surfboard. I don't know anything about surfboards, so I defer to Jay. Yeah, it's a great starter board for a kid. There you go. Probably about $400 board. We got a solid body Taylor electric guitar that we're going to be auctioning. We got a signed drum head from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. We have a signed Hello Hurricane collectible photo book from Switchfoot and a size medium Switchfoot hoodie that'll go along with it.
We have a signed lithograph from Muse. Muse! We have a signed baseball bat from the 2000... No, that's priceless. Listen, I am happy to donate a signed baseball bat. Maybe you should. Maybe you should, Woods. Dude, you know how embarrassing it would be if it went for like $6? I'd be mortified. Well, why don't we do this? Maybe I get the crows to sign it. Why don't we get a baseball bat? Okay? And we'll have you sign it, and we'll start at $25, and we'll see where it goes. Okay. It'll go backwards from there. You mean SOB. Just love me today, please. So it's a signed bat from the 2011 San Diego Padres. We got a signed Padres backpack that's been signed by all the Padres players. And inside the backpack, an unopened 2010... Topps baseball cards, a pair of game-worn cleats from Heath Bell, a Heath Bell autographed Padres baseball cap, a Heath Bell autographed baseball, a Heath Bell autographed All-Star baseball, a signed baseball from the whole Padres, and a Padres program. Suffice it to say, we got a lot of cool things.
I mean, it's unbelievable the stuff we got. That's a giant roster. Yep. There's still stuff coming in, too. Yeah. Let's see. M1HB from Scripps Ranch. Hi. One more question for you guys. Weirdo. You have not mentioned shirts this year, Mike. Oh, man. I saw the shirts. Do you think, Jay, that we can post the picture, or do we need to keep it a secret? It was up to you, I think. What do you want to do? I think we should let people see it. Yeah. Let's see it. All right, I'll get to work on it. Give him a taste. I haven't even seen him. I haven't either. And is it $50 again? Jay, we haven't really talked about it, but it's going to be the same deal. It's going to be an online donation, and then we will mail the shirt out to you. Okay. So last year it was $50. Okay. Same bit this year. If you donate $50, you get a T-shirt thrown in. This year the T-shirt is white, and it is the coolest design.
The Mikey-thon 2011 design looks like a vintage tattoo. Sweet. And it was done by, who else? Jared. Jared. Aha. At createyourdesignonline.com. It's Jebediah is the one donating the shirts this year. Yeah, so they're the maker of the shirt. They make killer shirts. Soft. Soft. Real nice. They made last year's shirts. They were awesome. They were. And so, Jay, where are you going to put it on the Facebook page? I'm trying to figure out if I can copy this art, and I'll paste it on the Mikey Show Facebook page. It's really a cool shirt. I'm glad you asked. I'm glad you asked. HB. Thanks, guys. You got it. We should say thank you to our big sponsor, Tulip, for making this all possible, making it commercial-free for 28 hours. Thank you, Tulip. Thank you, Tulip. Hey, HB. By the way, I like the questions because it helps. There are a lot of people that are thinking the same things and wanting to know the same things. So by all means, I love it. So please, if you have any other stuff, let us know. Do women ever ask questions? Huh? You shush is right. Thank you, HB. She's speaking for the people. She's a representative. Yeah. That's right. Riddler.
Let's see. We have a very sad piece of news to tell you if you're a San Diego Charger fan. Yep. And it is. You all will not be watching the game this Sunday. It is official. The Chargers have been blacked out. The Chargers and the Dolphins will not be shown on local television. However, you can watch the Patriots and Raiders starting at 1 p.m. There you go. So, fabulous. So, on Tuesday, we announced 7,200 tickets needed to be sold by the blackout deadline that was 1 p.m. yesterday. Guess how many were sold? I would say 1,000. Under that duress? 1,000. Oh, no. Not even 1,000? Not even 1,000, my friend Mike. Oh, 500. 700 tickets were sold. More than 6,500 tickets. That's 10% of what we needed. That's right. More than 6,500 tickets remain available for sale. This is the first blackout of the year. 2010, three of the first four games were not shown on local TV. So we're doing a little better than we were last year. But still, we are blacked out. In fairness, it's not the greatest matchup in the world. I mean, it is the Dolphins. It is one out of 16 NFL games that you can see, though. That's true.
It's a Dolphins. Don't brightside it. I mean, it sucks. They're not really... They're watching football in St. Louis this weekend. You had the Dolphins over the Patriots, Mike, so you obviously believe in them. That is your team. Well, you know the only reason I root for them is because Gloria Stephan is... Just a partial owner. Is a partial owner. Along with... Lopez. It's a bummer, man, because I've got an appearance to watch the Chargers on Sunday, and now we will just be playing basketball and watching other games. You won't watch basketball. Play basketball. It's at Dave & Buster's. We shoot hoops for like hours. It's awesome. I'm sure you're very not competitive. I am competitive. I'm very competitive. It'll be fun. You'll have lots of good games that'll be on that you'll be able to watch. There are some great games this weekend. Let's see. So there it is. Then also, this was big news today. There are some fees that are going to be added to people that have debit cards from Bank of America. Perfect. And so they have wasted no time. There was a new federal debit card rule, and it's not going to kick in until Saturday, but Bank of America said, look, we're on it. Feast. And they're announcing a $5 monthly fee.
for purchases to make up for an unexpected drop in revenue. How about that? On the bright side, I did hear that some of the retailers might be combating this by giving people discounts or faster checkout to use their debit card. Really? Oh, nice. You know, my wife, we had that money guy on the air a while back, and we might have him on again. We might look for that guy and have him on again because we've gotten a lot of good feedback from listeners that said, hey, I want to get that guy's book, or let me know more about him. And he actually, Rebecca listened, and she thought that it was really good information on how to save dough. So she went back, listened to the podcast, and got all the information, and she was like, she made some changes for us. They're saving us a pretty good amount of dough. That's awesome. Yeah, we don't use our bank debit card anymore. She found out that there was a, from this interview that we had,
That there's a credit card that gives you points and gives you all this stuff and saves you money. And so, yeah, we're saving a little bit of money by doing that. Well, they tell you also that the more places you use your debit card, the more susceptible you are to identity theft. And with identity theft, with a credit card, there's usually some sort of like, you know, there's protection. But with your debit card, that gets right into your bank account. And there's not protection there. So it's better to be using your card as. She's going to get rid of my debit card. Five bucks a month. I am a Bank of America member, and I will pay it and never think twice about it. Yeah. Just whatever. Jay, are you Bank of America? No. I am, and I'll probably bitch and moan for a while, and then I'll eventually do something about it. Not notice it anymore. And then, what was the ATM story? Because I couldn't find it, but it was good. There it is. ATMs, yeah. Fees are setting a record high. Seventh year in a row. Banks now charge an average of $2.40 for non-customers to use the ATM. I'm telling you, when you're trying to get cash out and you see that, oh, by the way, Mr. Woods, this charge is $3.50. And you're there, and you're stranded, and you're like, I could drive two miles to my bank to save $2.50. I'll just do it. And it just kills me. And I do it every time.
3% increase from last year, by the way, when it was $2.33 was the average that they were charging for fees. You ever get money in a casino? Oh, dude, there it's like $20. Strip club? Years ago. Not in a while. I don't know what it is now. I wouldn't know about either one of those. All I would know is like, you know, $96, $97. Right. It was expensive then. I can't imagine what it is now. I don't think ATMs were invented then. Yeah. That's true. Ten years ago, by the way. That average for those deals was $1.36 for the fees. $1.36. Just, gosh darn it. What a racket. What a racket. We should just go into business, open ATMs. Just own ATMs. Yeah. Gosh, clean house. You know, think about that, dude. They are making $2.33 or $3 or whatever basically for providing you with absolutely nothing. They are providing you, Mike, with what is yours. Yeah. You are paying them to take what is yours, my friend. They save you a trip to the bank in their mind. Yeah. And I guess the way that they rationalize it is, well, we have to do maintenance on those machines. And also, you know, it costs us quite a bit of money to put those receipt, the paper, you know, for the receipt. That does it, Mr. ATM guy. Yeah, Mike, you've got my keys. Here's $3 for me to get them back from you. Yeah. It's ridiculous. I actually, I responded to a Craigslist ad weird about,
Maybe two some years ago about a business opportunity. Guy called me back. It was going into business to put ATMs out there. Really? I could be a part owner in an ATM. Bet it's a good way to make a living. Absolutely. 570-1949 is our number. It's M1 Cam from Oceanside. What's up, Cam? Good. I used to be a banker. And one of the things that they told us that consumers don't really know. Not only do you get charged that $250 or $40 from the non-bank ATM, your bank charges you an additional up to $250. So you're ending up paying like $5 for a $20 withdrawal. Unbelievable. 25% in your bank to get $20 out. Just go to your bank, man. Go to your bank. I'm just going to keep cash. I used to give that guy such a hard time, the guy that was like, no, I've got to find a Bank of America one. And I'd be like, just come on, I'll give you the $2. But it adds up.
in the app on your phone just to find out where your ATMs are. It's just worth it. Hey, you know, the stupid thing is that in most cases we know we're just lazy. We're just lazy. It's convenient. There's one at the end of my street. I will not cross the street. I'll go to the gas station so I don't have to cross the street. It's more convenient. It's across the street. That's most of us. Most Americans will go. You know, I just don't want to think about it. I don't want to think about it. I'm just going to go. I know it's too fast. I don't want to think about it. Time is money. I'm sitting here. I'm not going to go through that light. I never can make a left here. The light takes forever. I'll just pull right in, pull right up. Extra five minutes. Get out of here. I'm telling you. And now, just to reinforce Jay's thought on how lazy we are. Yeah. This is actually true. I mean. and by we, I mean Americans, not just me and you, Woods, I mean Americans, is that they've now got drive-up. Because you don't want to have to get out of your car to go to the ATM. Y'all raise the bar for laziness, alright? Yeah, gotta drive up to the ATM. And that line will be no less than ten minutes long. But you're like, well, at least I don't have to get out. They got the drive-ins now for CBS at the drugstore.
You ever been in line at a CVS drugstore and the person in front of you apparently is having them make the medicine? Yes. With a mortar and pestle. Yeah. And you're like, how about this guy at CVS? When you go to pick up your prescription, the guy that wants to do his shopping and pay for everything up there. Yes. So he's got two of those red baskets full of deodorant and tampons and condoms. Sorry. I apologize. Oh, my God. You're kidding. Why? I'm going to go two lines? No. You can grab your prescription and take it up front. Yes. I'm with you, LLB. Oh, my God. Happy birthday to both of you. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Yeah. Is that designed for that? Let's talk this through. Let's talk it through. Let's talk it through. Wait a minute. You can't. You can't take your prescription up to the front. Yes, you can. Absolutely. You cannot. Yes, you can. No, you do not. You take that bag and say, I've got some shopping to do. I'll see you later. Oh, yeah, you can do that. See, I didn't know that. And then you go to the front. Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, L.O.B. What he's saying is you can pay for your prescription. No, you don't even have to. They won't give you the bottles of medicine. Yes, they will. I don't think they will. I'm telling you. I do it every time. Let me ask you a question. Me too. But let me ask you a question. Just theoretically.
So theoretically, if you could, if they give you your medicine and you can pay for it up front, what is it that keeps you from not paying for your medicine? What do you mean? I don't know. Morals or ethics or, you know, not being a criminal, not wanting to have hidden cameras above you, capture you walking out without paying. Because I take the bag because I'll pick up Jamie's prescriptions. I will pick them up and put them in my red basket and go, OK, thank you. I've got some shopping to do. And I'll go and grab some deodorant and some other stuff I need. And I'll go pay up front. And they give you free medicine with a receipt and everything in the bag? They put it in the bag and they staple the bag. And I said, thank you. And I just take that up front and pay for it up front. You can get a sandwich from the deli. You can do the same thing. You go to the deli, you order a sandwich, you're like, I'm just going to pay up front. But they have registers at the counter. Right. And that's for people that just have a prescription. I don't know about that. Yeah, if I walk in, all I'm doing is picking up Xanax, I go to the back. Hey, thanks. They've never let me walk away with a prescription. You've never tried. I have. You've never tried. But maybe it's just the wrong one. Those registers back there are for people that need prescriptions only. They're not for you to do your daily shopping back there. You look suspicious too, Mikey. Just get a few things. It's okay. A few is okay. I'm talking the guy with two red baskets. Hey, listen to this. M1 Anonymous from San Diego. Are you there? Good morning. What did you want to do?
Which one? The audio slave one? The Taylor. I don't care. It doesn't really matter. Wow. Wow. Okay. Wow. Wow. Dude. Dang. Well, I mean, I don't know how to physically get that going, but, I mean, it's noted. Yeah, and badass. And awesome of you. Shoot me an email, Ammon Anonymous, and I will put you down as the first bid. I'll tell you what. I'll take it a step further than that. We will put you on hold, and we'll take care of getting your info. Yes. All right? Hang on the line. Thank you. Wow, man. Thank you. Really cool. Mikey Thon has officially raised $1,000. Wow. That's nice. That's really great. Thank you. So that's a good way to get things kicked off. And we'll only make more. Now, if we get $24,000 more, Woods will have to shave a fryer cut into his head. It's not have to. It's wants to. Wants to. I can't wait. Happy to. Will. He will shave a fryer's cut into his head. How about that? So here's what we got.
There is a person who I will not mention until we come back from his break who said that he is a, first of all, he's very famous and he's very famous for being tough. This guy is probably 6'2", 260, giant, made his living, pummeling men. Says that he was verbally and mentally abused by his wife, his ex-wife. And I'll tell you who that is next. Shop less, get more, make one call to an Allstate agent. Some backup here on the 5 northbound before 6th Avenue. Somebody's trying to put gas in their car and they're in the middle of lanes. On the 15 northbound after Mira Mesa Boulevard, there's a car stuck. It's blocking the right lane. And some delay on the 94 eastbound at 25th Street. This report also brought to you by Kohl's. Kohl's new Encinitas store at Villa Molina and El Camino Real. It's open. Don't miss Kohl's grand opening sale. Storewide savings. It's going on now. The more you know, the more you Kohl's. Kohl's expect great things. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I know a lot of girly stuff. Woods. I've bathed myself in radish. Lauren. I'm all about the discounts, the previews. And Jay. Whenever I go to a party, I'll bring beer, but I bring beer for myself. On FM 94.9. So if you want to play a new game that we're going to be doing called Catch Phrase, give us a call right now, 570-1949. You're going to pick a team. The teams are Jay and LLB or me and Woods.
And it's kind of fun. What we're doing is we're practicing. We're going to see how well this works on the air because we're going to use it during Mikey-thon. And if it goes well, we'll end up using it here on the Mikey Show from this point on. So it's catchphrase. What's the prize, Jay? Today's prize is tickets to see Portugal the Man tonight at House of Blues. Okay, cool. So give us a call, 570-1949. And I am absolutely... terrible at explaining how it works. And so when we come back, or when we get to it, who do you think is better at explaining catchphrase? L.O.B. or Woods? Probably L.O.B. L.O.B.? I can do it. Okay, cool. But first, who is this big giant dude who says that he was mentally and verbally abused by his ex-wife? His ex-wife, Linda. Does that give you a clue? Hulk Hogan. Oh, 100. Hulk Hogan. Listen to this. I bottomed out. I was in a weird situation where there was a lot of verbal and mental abuse, which I didn't understand at the time. He's referring to his very public divorce from Linda Hogan. In an excerpt from her new book, Wrestling the Hulk, she wrote, He tore my shirt. He threw lamps, held me down on the bed with his hands around my throat. I was always afraid he would kill me in one of his rages.
And you tried to kill her? Yeah. According to her? Yeah, I mean, that's insane. Does that hurt you when you hear that? No, it doesn't. It just makes me feel really sad for her. It really does, because we pray for her every night, and we pray that she finds closure and happiness and gets rid of this crazy delusional situation that she actually believes, I think, what she says at this point. Just sounds so jacked up. The family, unfortunately, was just a mess. His son, Nick, His son, Nick, was involved in a car crash where him and his buddy were racing. His buddy got killed. It was sad, man. I mean, just that family has just had one thing after the other that's just been bad. Didn't his wife, wasn't she dating somebody like 30 years ago? Yeah. Something ridiculous. Yeah, she was. It's a curse of the reality. Don't put your family on a reality show. True. Things can go south. Inevitably.
John and Kate Plus 8. Jessica and Nick Simpson. Broke them up. Maybe it's very stressful. Absolutely. Or Nick Lachey. Nick Simpson. It's fine. No, broke them up too. Yeah, but his name was Nick Lachey. Nick Lachey. Jessica and Nick Simpson. Yeah. Got it. M1 Daniel from Oceanside. Would you like J and L-O-B or me and Woods? L-O-B. You got it. Maybe you get it, pal. Hang on the line. Let's see. M1 Lisa from Lakeside. You get me and Woods, okay? Okay. Hang on. All right. All right. Now, L.O.B. is going to explain to us how the game works. Okay. So we have this little device here. It's kind of like a hot potato because it's ticking and it's going to go faster and faster and faster and eventually it's going to go. And whoever is, excuse me, holding it.
The other team gets a point, so you lose if you're holding it. You've got to get it out of your hands just like the opportunity. Get it out, yes. And Jay and I are going to be working together. We can only guess for each other's clues, and you two are going to be working together. What you get is a word on your screen, a word or a phrase, and you have to give clues to your teammate to get them to guess the word. Okay, cool. You cannot say any part of the word. Say it was school bus. You couldn't say you take this to school. You can't say it starts with an S. You can't say it rhymes with. Got it. And if you do, the other team immediately gets the point. You stop it and immediately get the point. And the fun part for you is that you get to play in your car right along with us. So as L.O.B. or whoever is giving clues. Hear me sitting there going, I know this, I know this, I know this. You idiot. Idiots. Yeah. All right. Hey, me and you. Same page, mind meld. Right now. Let's go. Okay. Yeah, but we're not. Are we the ones that are going? No, we're going to start. We're starting, and then I'm going to pass it. But we need to be right here. Got it. You're watching. Got it. All right, here we go. But we don't get to say anything on this one. On this one, yeah. We're locked in. We're locked in. Oh, I'm scared. I'm locked in. So we are team one. And it's everything. Yeah, so we're the everything category. Jay and I are team one.
Y'all are team two. I'm locked in. I'm locked in. Ready? Okay. This is what you would do when you were a senior and... You graduate. Well, you would go... Party. Senior. Prom. During the day, instead of attending school, you would go... Skip school. Yep. Skip class. Yeah, that's fine. Okay. Yes. Now I press next. Yes. If you're very upset about something, you're... Furious. Angry. Pissed off. You're this about it. I'm furious. I'm mad. I'm angry. I'm bitter. It sounds a lot like a journey song. I'm very about it. Stone in love. I'm faithfully. I'm open. I'm with you. I am angry. I'm mad. I am so upset that I am about this. I am so, I'm fired up. It's, can I say how many words are in the phrase? Sure. It's three words are in the phrase. Up in arms. Up in arms. Damn it. Sounds like a journey song. Team one gets a point. All right. Yeah. Team one has a point. Okay. Here we go. I'm going to go. We're doing everything again. That's kind of fun. I love it. And I bet people in their cars were like L.O.B. Make sure you hold it up close. People in their cars were like L.O.B. They were like, open arms, open arms. Say it. Here we go.
If I start early. Offsides. Premature. If I leap into the air, what am I doing? Jump. Jump the gun. Yes, thank you. Oh, my God. Okay, so you're a guy that you set these. You don't follow these. The rule is set the bar. You said the word. You say the word. Part of it. So stop the game. Hit stop. Come on, man. Team one gets a point. Choking. I'm choking. We have two now. I feel like a red sock right now. I feel like a red sock. Normally the game goes to seven, but we want to play to four, three or four. Yeah, let's play to three or four. Let's decide one, three or four. We're playing to four. Four. Four, okay. All right, ready? All right. Oh, man. Bill and Ted would say this. Excellent. Party on awesome. It's like not excellent. It's like, oh, this is stupid. Bogus. Yes. Pass to me. A basketball player does this. He dunks. He jumps. He shoots. He dribbles. A foul. He dribbles. It's this sort. A gun does it. A shoot. He shoots. A three-point shot. And if you're in the air. I'm doing a layup. I'm doing a dunk. Or you're making a. I'm making a basket. Or.
Something else. There's another basketball term. It's two words, and it's a... I'm making a free throw. Very close. I'm making a three-pointer. I'm making a jump shot. Yes! A jump shot. Give me that. It's like in concrete. It kind of goes like this. Crack in the sidewalk. Yeah, but I do it with this. Smile. Ah, yeah, yeah. Crack a smile. On the board. Okay, so now I pass it. Now, team two. Team two gets a point. Okay. So there you go. Team two gets a point. So what's the score? Two to one. Two to one. Team one is in the lead. Who is that? Jay and Ella B are in the lead with two. Okay. Yes. All right, pal. We need to get this one. Are you ready? Uh-huh. It started up top. Okay. You don't like when this happens to you. Something might make you sad. And it does this to you. Depressed. No, it makes you very sad. You're not angry. You're not mad. You fall and you do this to your knee. Ouch. You hurt. Pain. Painful. Hurt. Pain. Fear. Sadness. Hurt. Sadness. Fear. Anger. I don't want to jump the gun. I don't want to ruin. I don't want to let you down. Soothe. My body. Hurt.
Hurt. Soothe. I don't want to fall. Fall in love. No, no, no. You don't like when this happens to you. I don't like when people throw me off. I don't like when people... I don't know, dude. I don't like when people hit me. I don't like when people curse at me. What does that do to you? Hurt your feelings. Yes. Yes. Hurt your feelings. Team one gets another point. We're at three points. This could be it. We'll be right here. This could be the one cat. Jay? I'm sweating. I'm sweating. Oh, okay. Gosh. This is like someone let the cat out of the bag. Who let the dogs out? No. Oh, gosh. It's like, oh. Oh, I'm an idiot. All right. So it's two words. And the second one, it's like it's a weapon that you shoot. Gun. Yes. Gun. The gun would be doing this after something was revealed. Top gun. It's what Woods does with a cigarette. Puts it out. No. Smokes it. Smoking gun. Yes. There you go. Oh, boy. This is in New York.
The Empire State Building. Nope. The Statue of Liberty. No, keep going. The Yankee Stadium. The World Trade Center. It used to be the World Trade Center. Right in the middle of town. Midtown. Central Park. What's that area called? Central Park is Manhattan. The other big tourist attraction, right, with all the lights. Damn it. Rockefeller Center. No, where all the lights are and all the plays. Oh, Broadway. Broadway. Time fair. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I'm like. What can I do to say? I would go. I would go. I'd point to my watch. Point to the watch? Yeah. You don't have to. You can be outside. Hey, you know who a big winner is? Yeah. We're the big winner. Yeah. L-O-B and J pretty much dominated Me and Woods. Destroyed us. M1 Daniel from Oceanside. I hate that game. I love winning. Daniel, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. You won, bro. Nice.
Good job, you guys. Thank you. And what did he win, Jay? Tickets to see Portugal the man tonight at House of Blues. I'll see you there. There you go, bro. Hang in line. Hang in line. Joseph will be there. Yes, I will. It is a good game. It is a good game, and I like it. We got a mind meld better. Me and Woods got a mind meld better. I want to keep L.O.B. as a teammate. Yeah, you too, Jay. He's good. They're going to just kill us every week. I know. A couple of idiots. Yeah. Well, we will. You know what we'll do, Woods? We will rent an apartment together. Family show. No, that's not what I meant. We'll rent an apartment together, and we'll spend so much time together that we will mind melt. We won't even need to give clues after a while. I'll do this to you. Just look, and I'll go, oh, hairbrush. Yep. That's how if my sister and I play. It's a fruit. Rhubarb! Yeah. Oh, my God. That's so awesome. I love that. Rhubarb. Let's see. So Trump Casino is offering $25,000 in plastic surgery as a prize. $25,000 in plastic surgery as a prize at the Taj Mahal. Which, you know, when they built the Taj Mahal, I remember it was a very big deal. And it was, you know, obviously a multi-million dollar construction deal. Big to do. Now when you look at pictures of the Taj Mahal.
resort and casino, it looks like an old, worn-down Tropicana. I mean, at least this is me. Cheesy as all get-up. Now, LOB is from New Jersey. Have you ever been there? Atlantic City? Yeah, Atlantic City, Taj Mahal. Have you ever been inside the Taj Mahal? Yeah. What is it like? Is it cool? Or did you think of it as... What was your... It used to be cool. Now, like, the new one there, the Borgata, is kind of on level with the Vegas places. But, yeah, it's antiquated. It looks cool from the outside. It's definitely like the mark of, oh, yeah, I'm here. Yeah. The Taj. So, anyway, this is what they're going to do. They are planning to give 20,000... $25,000 worth of plastic surgery to a winner from a player's card contest. And they can mix and match surgeries. Here's what the mixing and matching will be. A boob job, tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, till the total hits $25,000. Wow. Really? Oh, yeah. No way. You could use a little tummy tuck. Oh, wow. I could use a little boob job.
Oh, L-O-B. Play together. I wouldn't say no, L-O-B. All right? Wouldn't say no at all. Wouldn't say no at all. To a boob job? For her. You are, you are, don't put that thought. I'm not, I'm not. He's not putting it in there. But isn't he reinforcing some sort of cockamamie thought in your head that you would want one or need one? No. If it were my boyfriend saying something like that, then I'd be like, oh gosh, that's what he wants. But, you know, I've got, Woods has no vested interest in me. And he likes every boob. He does. And he likes a boob job. Real or fake. Doesn't matter. I like him or I could do without him. It doesn't matter. I'm in on the whole thing. In on the breast. A facelift costs $7,000 to $9,000. Could use one of those. Nose surgery is anywhere from $5,000 to $6,000. And eyelid tux. That's right. Eyelid tux are $4,000. to $5,500. For your eyelid? Where would you tuck it in? I don't know. Why do you need to? You make them all smooth because they get gnarly and wrinkly the older you get. Or they start to flap down or you can't open your eyes all the way like gold people. Well, I know. Woods you don't need. You look great. I look like a whale. Yesterday I saw Goldie Hawn on TV.
She's had everything done. She looks like a fish of some sort. Her lips are so rubber. And you can see the person she was inside. That's what scares me. People with that much money have botched up surgery jobs. Well, I just want you guys all to know that I love you just the way you are. I don't think you need anything. Woods, you got your perfect haircut, your PHC. It looks fantastic. LLB don't need no boob job. Woods is... pulling on the bottom. You're making it bigger. He's taking the skin on the bottom of his neck and he's pulling on it and he calls it his gullet. Gobbler. It's absolutely hideous. It's not hideous. Get a chin bra. Jay, he doesn't need... No, just sleep in it so it'll tuck and support. They do make those, I think. Can you imagine, Woods, you go to bed, you got on some chin bra. Night, babe. Night, babe. Want to make love, babe? Can you get rid of some water, please? Let me check my bra off. There, let me check my bra off so we can kiss. Well, apparently Trump Casino knows what people want. By and large, people do want to get stuff done. Hey, I did it. I got...
I've had tons of stuff done over the years. I had a body lift when I had to get my hernia repaired. I don't know what that is, body lift. What's a body lift? They take everything? Yeah, because when I got my gastric bypass surgery, you had a lot of extra skin, and a body lift removes it so that you're nice and... Ow, how painful was that? What? The skin, the removal of the skin? Well, I wasn't awake while they did it. When I woke up, they'd given me some medicine to make it so that it didn't hurt so bad. It was like open heart. You know? What they do is they remove the excess, and then they pull your skin up like pants. Stop it. Dude. Stop. You're going to ruin my day. What's the matter? Stop. How does it do it? Because it's attached. I mean, do they have to go in and remove it? Where did it go? Where did it go? Well, what they do. Mike. What they do is they will take the scalpel. And what they do is they make an incision that goes all the way around your body. All the way around. And then after they do that, they take the bottom half.
And they yank it up just like pants. And then they cut the excess off. And then they take the top part and they pull it down like a taut shirt. And then they remove that. And then they suture it all together. And it's held together in place by large industrial staples. Medical staples. What they do with all that extra skin. Big top for the circus. Yes. Yes, Jay. Car cover. A big top for the Skirkus. Skirkus. I bet they fed some Ethiopians. Ew, stop it. The whole damn country of Chad. Stop talking about Mikey's extra Skirkus. Didn't they, Mike? I'm sure they made some kind of big top for the Skirkus. Didn't they, Mike?
Jay's been known to flub a word or two. Every once in a while. A lot of pressure. From time to time. Boy, he was sitting on that line, too. And I was like, just couldn't deliver. He couldn't wait. Probably might have had a couple of them. Well, he gets so excited. He's just like a German shepherd that's jumping up and down. Just waiting. Like, let me attack. Let me attack. He's waiting on it. You should have just had him put a drawstring in. You could just keep tightening it. Actually, that would have been a... Great idea. Would have been a really great idea. Let's have a little bow right here. Let it in, let it out. How come that, you know, I've never understood why people can't hear these things. You know, I mean, for me, it's like, you know, you're not looking at it. You're just hearing it being described. Makes my skin feel like a fabric. When you guys were talking yesterday about splintering bone, I thought about it all.
Day long. Bone on bone rubbing together, you mentioned. Yeah. Which just makes me pucker up. For me, I think that I do have some of the traits as a psychopath because I can hear these things all day long. They literally have no effect on me. You apparently have, chemically, you are empathetic or you are not. Right. Well, I'll pretend. You pretend? Yeah, like Dexter. Like Dexter. I'll pretend. I'll go, oh my goodness, that's absolutely terrible. Do you think you could maybe use a scalpel on a human cadaver and it wouldn't do anything to you? Not at all. The only thing that would bother me is the physical smell. The smell. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Alleviate the smell and you could go in and just go. You could not. Dude, I couldn't walk in the room. I had to excuse myself in biology class from cutting open the frog. Me too. I couldn't do it. Really? I almost threw up. I think I could stitch somebody up, no problem. Put stitches in. I could do it. Yeah. Don't want it done to me. I don't like needles. I don't like shots. Oh, I just looked down at our schedule and realized what Jay is going to do next. He's going to make me live up to something that I said to somebody on the air yesterday. He doesn't forget. No, he doesn't. He's an elephant that does not forget. Or like a wife. That's right. Yesterday, I... It wasn't even yesterday. It was a few days ago. I flippantly said that...
My worst, my absolute least favorite food in the world is cantaloupe. And a guy called in and he said, yeah, Mikey, that's because you've never had it with lemon and chili powder and salt. And I said, well, you talked me into it. You know, that sounds like something I would actually try. And I said I would. And so Jay's going to make me live up to that next. And you'll be able to check out the Halloween Spooktacular. It's running weekends in October. Mikey-thon less than one week away. Mikey-thon is going to happen on Thursday and Friday of next week. In fact, at this time, next week,
We will have three hours left in Mikey Thon. At that point, we will have been on the air for 25 hours. You know, there are people that pull all-nighters and stuff, but I guess the deal is that, you know, for that 28 hours, you know, you're pretty much performing for 28 straight hours. That's what makes it difficult. Meth heads pull all-nighters and stuff. I've done both sides of this, just watching and participating. Being the person on the radio, I don't know. It just kills you. It is. I'm crying. It's harder. I'm taking my way through it. There is a mother in San Diego from Tierra Santa who is in a lot of trouble. In fact, she was sentenced yesterday to a year in jail after she pleaded guilty to child endangerment because her two-year-old son was mauled by their family dog. She had come home.
And she'd been out. She'd been drinking. She usually puts the dog in some sort of a crate, but she was too tired. And so as a result, she's going to be spending a year in jail for pleading guilty to it. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? I want to fill you in on a very surprising move that I have heard is coming down the pike today, as well as give you some Padres information. But I wanted to tell you that sports is brought to us today by our friends at Expressly Gourmet. They are delivering San Diego's favorite restaurants to your doorstep. They are awesome. The Padres have come out with some news that they have fired their hitting coach, Randy Reddy. He is the fifth hitting coach in seven years for the Padres. Also, CEO Jeff Morad has said the player payroll next year will be between $53 and $55 million, which is up a little bit from this year. Also, he said he is strongly opposed. How much is it up? Well, I didn't know.
because it's not in this article, but I think I remember it being around 48 to 50 last year. So it is going to be up a little bit. They are expected to get some TV money this year. Is that going to help us? Well, he also said that our goal is to break even every season. He said they're going to lose about $1.6 million this year, which I find very hard to believe. I really, really do. I'm not calling the guy a liar, but I know how much money they got in luxury tax last year, and they got a lot of money, and I know what they put on the field, and it wasn't a lot of money. But I guess with operations and everything else. Come on, man. Yeah, so he said, hey, our goal is to win the World Series, and this is all part of rebuilding. Also, I just saw this on the news. I saw an article this morning. It looks like the Boston Red Sox are going to let their manager, Terry Francona, go today. Are you kidding? Listen. When I look in the Boston dugout, it makes me retch with hatred that I can't stand him. Terry Francona is the only guy on that field. I'm like, that gets me because he's a really, really good manager, and he's such a great baseball man. Think about it. These clowns hadn't won a World Series since 1918. Who brings you two? Terry Francona. And now you're like, no, you're out. He's missed the playoffs two years in a row with a big payroll. I get it.
His players had been calling him out this season. David Ortiz said, well, this guy needs to be in the rotation, not this guy. So once you start losing your players, maybe it is time to go. But I'm ecstatic. As a Yankee fan, I am ecstatic that they let him go because he is a kick-ass manager. Yeah, and who do they have that's better? Exactly. Exactly. They're going to have to go outside the organization. This could be a whole rebuilding bit for them, which is just great. Oh, wow. I am. Floored. I bet you're excited. I am. Mikey Show and Tell coming up in a minute. That's a great thing, man. You get to find out about stuff that we're using and liking. New stuff that we discovered. It's where Bala Powder came from. That's right. Had we not done Mikey Show and Tell, you would not know about Bala Powder, which I found at groominglounge.com. I think my brother told me about it. It's great. It's good stuff. I mean, a lot of good guy stuff, but a lot of just stuff. L.O.B. is going to be, everybody gives one. This was just printed out for me. This is a text that we just received. Now, I got to believe it's an important text. Jay doesn't print out texts very often. It must be urgent. Is there a donation for Mike-y-thon? No. Let's see. He's sniggling and breathing hard into the mic. The text says...
Funniest thing I have ever heard. I had to download podcasts last night and replayed Jay's song while getting ready this morning. Quote, even if they're hanging to your knees, knees, unquote. Jay is the best signed M1 Punch. He's referring to Jay's parody song that Jay wrote about himself called Welcome to the Jay N'Gole. But we weren't. just talking about parody songs or anything, were we? It's not really on par with what we're doing. It kind of derails the show. When an urgent text comes in. When an urgent text comes in. I have to get it to Mikey Statt. That's what he said. Right away. He's got to get it to me right away. It's about this song. It's a song about Jay. You know where you are, baby? You're in the jangle. What's a jangle? I stepped on a cat. Right on the mic. It's like a jungle. Yeah, baby. But Jay. You're in the jangle. Jay in gold. Django. Welcome. We didn't say thanks. Oh, he's saying welcome to the Django. Oh, got it. Oh, karate moves. Excuse you. Oh, easy. Welcome to the Django. I got whips and chains. That's creepy. I got everything taunts, honey. If that is the game, I'm a person that likes to look. But touching, there's no need. If you've got big boobies, honey, please show them to me in the Django.
Welcome to the jangle. I want to see them, even if they're hanging to your knees. Knees. I want to watch you. Please. Welcome to the jangle. I do push-ups every day. If you want to skate or surf, bring cash in, come with me. Of course you do. Whose name is Kimberly. You can have it any time you like, but let's get freaky dicky deep in the jangle. Welcome to the jangle. Peel off my shirt, jeans, jeans. I want to fulfill your dream. Shirt, jeans? Shirt, jeans. Shirt, jeans. Shirt, jeans. Shirt, jeans. Creative license. Creative license. It's his parody. He can do with it what he wants. Welcome to the jangle. It gets better every day. I learn to live with animals on the mic show every day.
Mikey and Woods are hungry. They eat everything they see. They can eat anything they want, but they better not take it from me. In the jungle. Welcome to the jungle. L.O.B. is waiting for Matt to get on his knees. Knees. I think hell is going to freeze. Wow. Not over yet. I think it is. Now it's over. You can tell because it just ends very abruptly. There's no fade out. No. It just stops. Just sit. So there it is. Text came in and said that it was the greatest thing the guy had ever heard. What choice did I have to print it? Of course. Of course. 570-1949. Guy needs to get out more. Yes, he does. All right, let's get this over with. I got to eat this. I got to eat this cantaloupe because I said I would. Now, this guy called in and he said that he didn't like cantaloupe either, just like me. My thing with cantaloupe is I think the cantaloupe smells spoiled. I got some for everybody. That's all right. I passed. I'm allergic to it. I don't want any powder on mine. You got to have powder on it. I don't want it. You get it. You're ruining cantaloupe.
It smells like rotten milk. It smells so good. Yeah. It smells like a Southern California summer morning. No, it doesn't. Jay, gosh, thanks. Gosh. He's sprinkling the stuff on there, and he's just absolutely no, like, care for... Oh, wow. Wait a minute. I just put a dip of snuff in. Take it out. Hey, Jay. I'm allergic. This is also supposed to have a little bit of salt and lemon. It's all inclusive in this batch. Everything's in here. Lemon, lime, salt. Oh, okay. You can do it the other way. I made some, but this stuff's better. Can I have a fork? Can I have a fork? No, you have to pick it up like this. Oh, gross. Pick it up with your hands. It's got rind on it still. What's rind? It's like rind. It's like rind, but different. Holy mackerel. I don't like chili powder. First of all, I've always said that when you... Woods and Jay are digging in. Gross, Woods. Sick. Oh, don't make that noise. Ew, stop slurping it. You want a little more, don't you? Moss, yeah. Moss, moss, moss, moss, moss. Ew. See, I'm turning you on to something new. Look at you. Gosh darn. Give me that stuff. Can I have the stuff, the sprinkle? Mmm. Mmm. Mmm. Jay, Jay, you. Man. Mmm.
Jay, when it came to applying the seasoning, he had no touch. He just willy-nilly doused it. He unloaded. I unloaded. This is delicious. It's so good. The powder is called tahin. Tahin. Classic seasoning. Come on, L-O-B. Come on, L-O-B. It's not my best. Just try it. Yeah, it ain't for a lot. She didn't have to. She hates... Oh, but you should try things. You should be open-minded. I've tried cantaloupe. It makes a gag. It's not the cantaloupe that your mom gave you. Oh, it's good. You'll like it, Mike. She doesn't like cantaloupe. My mom didn't give me cantaloupe because she's not a sadist. Well, yeah. Mom didn't give you cantaloupe because you didn't like cantaloupe. Yeah. Well, easy, Woods. Look, he's doing both sides. Hey, Woods, it's not going anywhere. He's eating like a crazy person. I'm not going to escape from you. Man, that's good cantaloupe. The only thing grosser than eating cantaloupe is listening to somebody eat cantaloupe. It tastes like listeria. Oh, my gosh. I don't know what that is. Listeria. It's a deadly disease. Yeah, 949. 949, Jay. I thought he said hysteria. Did you? Listeria is the disease that's spread throughout the country in some areas because the cantaloupe has got this deadly.
bacteria called Listeria in it. That's good. Wasn't that where the Desperate Housewives lived? That's Listeria Lane. And why do I know that? Rewind. Same reason Jay knows it. Yeah, exactly. You are cutting it. Mike's cutting a piece with a fork. It's very classy. Classy. You're all lady. Here he goes. I feel that I've sacrificed my own morals by... I'm resorting to this just because it's a ratings getter. Well, you know, you guys will often say to me, Woods, don't just say stuff because it gets you in trouble. Yeah. And I do it still. And now you did it. And you got to pay the piper sometimes. I did it. And Jay is the piper. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Thanks, LLB. Here I go. I can't believe you won't try it, LLB. We drank your algae. Hang on. She shouldn't have to at all. She should want to. She was smart. She didn't open her trap about it. I did. Here I go. He's losing it. Mikey likes it. There's a glint. There's a glint. Mikey! Give it to Mikey. We may have turned him around. We may have turned him around. It's damn good. Really? Now I kind of want to try it.
It's damn good. If Mikey likes it. Let me explain. Describe. When it first hit my mouth, there was cantaloupe involved. And I didn't. I hate that flavor. But then that stuff that's on there somehow changed it a little bit and made it very bearable. Yeah. Now, I'm not going to do it as recreation. You won't do it at home? No. How about on something you like? You like watermelon? Mm-mm. You don't like watermelon? No, I don't. I don't. That seasoning is good, L.O.B. It doesn't change it at all for you, L.O.B.? I mean, hey, listen, I'm not going to do it recreationally, but that helped me get that down. It does change it. It does change it. If you hate cantaloupe, that stuff will help you get it down. If you love cantaloupe, it makes it excellent. It makes it so good. I am...
Blown away. This cantaloupe does taste sweeter than what I remember. That is some fresh, ripe cantaloupe. I just have such a mental block for that fruit. So good. I don't know what it is. It's tasty. Is there anything, is there a food that you hate? Oh, there's a million foods I hate. Really? I don't like Brussels. Brussels sprouts make me gag. If I put one in my mouth, I will gag and throw up. Yeah. Mushrooms. Oh, my God. You don't like them? If I get a mushroom in my mouth, it's over. Really? Hideous. Olives. Olives. I hate olives. Do mushrooms have a flavor to you? Do they remind you of something? No, it's interesting, though, but I like chicken marsala loaded with mushrooms. I like the actual flavor. I scrape all the mushrooms off and just eat the chicken. Really? Which is weird, but I will not put a mushroom. The texture. Yeah. The texture is bizarre. Rubbery. Did I tell you guys my recipe for making the perfect turkey burger? I can't remember.
No, but I'll hear it. The perfect turkey burger. Turkey burgers are normally really dry when you cook them. At least when I cook them, I can't get it right. So now what I've started doing is I get mushrooms and onions, and I chop them up real fine, and then I saute them in a pan with butter, and then I mix it in with the turkey meat. Oh, my God. It turns a turkey burger into the best burger you will ever eat. Does it taste like mushrooms? Not at all. You can't even tell they're in there. My kids don't like mushrooms. They don't even know they're in there. Rebecca used to do that. And she had this little device that you put over the onions or mushrooms and you stomp on it. And it dices it all up. And she would do that until it was practically powder. The mushrooms. Because she hates mushrooms. Me too. But when she used to eat turkey. She would make turkey burger, you know, just saying. I never knew that. I've been doing it for the last month. That'd make a regular burger better. It holds moisture in it. I do the onions and green peppers. Now, she didn't do the thing that Jay does, which is to saute them. She just put them in there and they soaked up and, you know.
Got made it juicy. But anything with butter, you can basically make a turd taste good. You can saute a turd. I mean, I'll give it a shot. Well, I'll give it a shot. Here is three ingredients that will make anything taste delicious. Butter, garlic, and wine. You put butter, garlic, and wine on something, and you pretty much can't mess it up. It's true. You pretty much can't mess it up. All right. Well, I'm glad that's over. I'd rather do show and tell. I'd much rather do Mikey show and tell. So this is where we're going to share something with you that we know about that is new to us that we want to kind of let the whole world know about. Now, we don't have an open for that, do we? Yeah, we do.
Yeah, so we found something and we want you to know about it. Because we like it. And we think maybe you will. Alright, mine is called Just Mobile Xstand Go. Okay, now here's how you spell it. So if you're looking for it online, here's how you spell it. It's the letter X-T-A-N-D. Xstand Go. Alright? And what it is, is it's a holder. For your iPhone. And you put it in your car. So it'll attach to your windshield or it'll attach to your dashboard. Brilliant. And you put your iPhone on there. And so if you use your iPhone for GPS. Which I do. I need that. There you go. You don't have to touch it. If you can view something on there. You want to watch a video or something like that. You just connect this little device and.
For $40, it is rocks. I mean, this thing is rock solid. It will not bump off. You hit a bump or whatever, it's not going to fall off. That's cool. But it will hold that thing and turn it into basically a TV monitor. It turns your iPhone into a TV monitor. Droid, or is it specific to iPhone? Specific to iPhone. I bet there's got to be one for Droid, though, now that they've got that. I'm sure they do. More of the vendors get on board with the iPhone. Sorry, Jay. Yeah. Jay, what do you got? Mine, I've got one for each of you. Now, it's not as high-tech as Mikey. Weird. That does not look high-tech, whatever you've got. It looks like a toothpick. It is a toothpick. It's called... Hold on, I'm going to pass these around real quick. Never seen anything like this. It's called a gum soft pick. It's from... The company is G-U-M, and it's called a soft pick. Yeah, these are my... The floss thingies I use are this brand. Right. So basically, if you had braces at one point, they gave you the tree brush. This is just like it, but you could floss. It gets right in there, and it massages the gum. It goes all the way through. And they're disposable. And they're disposable. Dude, this is cool. My sister gave it to me. I feel good. It feels really good. It gets snuff out of my teeth. You know, when you're driving down the road or wherever you are, it's like, oh, it gets right in there. They're like toothpicks, but so much better. There's a little thing at the end of them. It's like a tree. It's got little spines.
Oh, this is good. Little green spines, and the end of it is this green rubbery deal, and it's got little green rubbery spines, and it really gets in between your teeth, and it's mobile, and you can take it with you. You know what would make this better? Minty or cinnamon flavor. Yes. I think they do have flavor. Minty or cinnamon would be good. You get this at the drugstore? Get it at the drugstore. It's great, dude. Comes with a little plastic carrying case, so you just kind of carry it in your pocket or whatever you want to do. Made by a company called Gum. I like this. All right, Woods, what do you got? As you guys know, I broke my ankle on ABC's Wipeout. Yes, she did. And this SOB will not heal, and it's so tender still. It's so tender. That makes me irritated too, but not because you didn't break it. I know you broke it. Yeah. But I can't keep you off of it no matter how much as a friend I plead and beg and say, Woods, just rest that thing. Dude, it's been, I've waited so long and I really want to get back. You do everything on it. You do everything that you would normally do on an ankle and more. Like it's almost as if your activity has increased since breaking your ankle. And you know why? Because the doctor said, just let it rest. You can't tell the kid what to do. You tell him go this way, he'll go the other way. He's been surfing. He's been.
Skating? Skating with Jay? He jumps around. He just... He competes in the strongman competition? Basically. I don't do that. But I have been back on the baseball diamond. So the first couple weeks of playing ball, I had my brother-in-law taping my ankle every day. And it cuts off circulation. It hurts. It's a beating. I found, without a doubt... The greatest ankle brace ever. It's called the 3M Futuro Custom Fit Ankle Brace. It's $40. It's got dials at the back of it that you can turn the dials for top support and lower support. Really? This thing will fit right over your sock. So it does the same thing as taping yourself up. Absolutely. And if it's too tight, you can release it and let out a little air. It doesn't swell up. It just tightens. So you can put your cleats on over it, your running shoes. Great. And you just turn the dials for more tightness. And you can adjust it like in the middle of a game. You're like, oh, hold up. Less effort, less waste. I like it. It is $40 for an ankle brace. You didn't bring it in. It's in the car. I want to see that. Oh, I'll give it for you. It's awesome. And we saved the best for last. When we come back, we're going to let you hear what LOB's got for you. And also, we ain't even close to being done.
I got our NFL picks coming up for you. We'll tell you how we're doing. We'll do it next. This is the Mikey Show. I like it. I like it. Be a part of the show. 570-1949. Did you try plugging it in? Did you turn it on, Mike? Yeah. What'd you do to it? What'd you do to it, idiot? All right. I am going to not mess with it anymore. If it's not going to work, it's not going to work. Okay. 5701949 is our number. And LOB is about to tell us what her show-and-tell item is. I love mine because it's for Halloween. Okay. Okay. It's a spray. You know how the pumpkins, when you carve your jack-o-lantern and it starts to rot and carve and cave in? Yeah, and get all wrinkly. And all moldy and everything? This is a spray that you put on it? Yeah. It's called...
Dr. Frybrain's Pumpkin E-Bomber. You put it on there and it extends the life of your jack-o'-lantern. I saw one. One of my neighbors has it done and I was like, that thing is not going to last. It's still September. She was telling me about this stuff. So it removes the moisture. It stops bacteria growth and it keeps bugs and little critters away from it and everything. That's pretty cool. Yeah, it is pretty cool. And it also sounds like it would have uses other than just a pumpkin. Right. Spray it on your body and your body will not mold or wrinkle. You'll never get a wrinkle. Have you ever used it or you just heard about it and you like it? No, my neighbor had it because I saw that she already had her pumpkins out and I was like, oh no, I hope that makes it to Halloween. And she was like, check it out. It's a spray. It's called Dr. Frybrain's Pumpkin Ebalmer. Ebalmer. What did I say? Ebalmer. Pumpkin embalmer. Yeah, pumpkin embalmer. Embalmer. That's wild. It's got to embalm stuff other than just pumpkins. Yeah. Pet dies. That'd be cool. Don't put it on your food. I would assume it's not. No. But there's got to be stuff that you use that you don't want to start going bad. And you don't want to eat it, but you want to display it. Like a sandwich.
Yes. You're like, hey, I'm a little hungry, but this sandwich is good. I don't want to put it in the fridge. It's going to get all soft and gross. What about flowers? Flowers, L-O-B? That is what was stuck in my brain. I was like, there's got to be something. There's got to be something. Flowers, L-O-B. Decorative corn? Decorative corn. Thanksgiving. You know, you put the corn on the table. How did you say it like a Canadian? Thanksgiving. Decorative corn. I know what he's talking about. And wreaths for Christmas trees. Perfect. Christmas trees. But you buy the decorative corn. You don't make your own decorative corn? No, I make my own decorative corn. Of course you do. It's a family thing, y'all. We all do it. I ain't going to pay for anything like that. Listen, here's how it works in our house. Jasper steals it. Maddie shucks it. Kim washes it. And then I embalm it. That's right. I diet. I diet. And then Liberty embalms it. Yeah. We ain't never bought no Christmas tree. Yeah, no, hell no. And that's the other thing. First of all, y'all, Christmas tree don't have to be pine.
Our Christmas tree the last four years has been a Japanese maple. It's out in the backyard. We just stand around it. We call it a Christmas tree. Right. And I'll just run out there early Christmas morning. I'll put all the gifts under it. We just do it outside. We're an outdoor family. Yeah, we wear parkas. We go out there. I build fire. And, you know, as far as decorations, I steal toilet paper from here at the building, and I'll put that on there like it's garland. I take all y'all's foil. When you come in and you wrap things up, I collect it, and then I make my own tinsel. Yeah. I took all Mike's popcorn that he just leaves laying around his feet, and I string them together and wrap them around the outside maple tree. Let me tell you, that once... I don't know that we've ever debated about Christmas trees, but that... is a great on-air conversation about the way that a Christmas tree should be decorated. Oh, and. Oh, yeah. All that stuff. We'll tail that for sure. Yep. And also the whole conversation about when the Halloween stuff needs to come out and when it needs to go away and all of it. Our phone number is 570-194-9 if you want to give us a call. And I am...
I'm entirely unprepared to do it, but I'm going to do it. And the reason is because even though my email isn't working properly, the show must go on. That's how dependent I am on my email. Yeah, you're losing it. It's okay. We're here for you. All right, you ready? Yeah, let's go. Do some football picks for you. You are killing it, by the way. I don't even know. I don't even know. And if you want to do football picks with us. We've got a pigskin pick-em online. Let's tell people how to do it. It's brought to you by Expressly Gourmet, and you can go to mikeyshow.com or fm949sd.com to sign up. All right, cool. It's killer. Okay, so Detroit at Dallas this weekend. I say Romo's banged up, and those lions, like I said before, they are not your father's lions. I say the Lions go in there and take care of business on the road. They've got a lot of firepower in Detroit, and Romo is banged up, and Miles Austin will not be playing either for the Cowboys, so I'm also going with Detroit. Battle of the one and twos. Carolina going into Chicago. I say Chicago's D is too much for Cam Newton, and they win at home. I agree. Chicago over Cam Newton and Carolina. New Orleans in Jacksonville, and you've got to ask yourself,
Why does Jacksonville stand any chance of winning that game, even at home? Of course Drew Brees takes care of business. On the road, New Orleans. Do I even need to say it? New Orleans over Blaine Gabbert, the rookie, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tennessee goes into Cleveland, and Peyton Hillis is over his flu. So I say Cleveland wins at home. Woodsie? I actually took the road team, Tennessee. They've been playing a little better. Chris Johnson has not had that breakout game yet. He gets it against Cleveland. And you've got Ryan Fitzpatrick and the on-fire Bills heading into a woefully bad Cincinnati. And guess what? I take Cincinnati at home. Woods? That's right, Woods. I'm not even going to dignify that. I know it. I know it. I'm taking them. I'm taking Cincinnati. Fred Jackson is running roughshod over people. Oh, yeah. Guys lead in the NFL. Stevie Johnson is phenomenal. Ryan Fitzpatrick is great. Crap out of the Bengals. You know what? Can I just give you my take on this? It's psychological. Cincinnati, everybody's betting against them. It's a letdown. Everybody says they're going to lose at home, and they're going to get the whole this is our house bit going, and they will beat the Bills for their first loss. By the end of the weekend, the Bills will be 3-1. I can get behind that. Then Minnesota goes into Kansas City. Kansas City stinks. Minnesota wins. Minnesota wins. The battle of the 0-3s.
It's called the Turd Bowl. That's right. And Minnesota will win that game. San Francisco traveling to Philadelphia. Vic's hand, they say, is not as bad as people thought. And Vic is not as bad as people think. I will take Philadelphia. I also took the dream team, Philadelphia. Washington's going into St. Louis. And it looks like Rex Grossman isn't as bad a quarterback as everybody thought. But he's also got some help from guys like Tim Hightower. I'll take Washington on the road. Yeah, Sam Bradford and the Rams have just not been able to get it going. They don't do it against the Redskins defense either. Washington win. Steelers are heading to Houston. Houston is a good football team, but they're not as good as Pittsburgh's defense. I'll take Pittsburgh on the road. Yeah, Houston's actually... picked to win, and I said Roethlisberger and the Steelers are not going to go into Houston and lose. I also took Pittsburgh. Atlanta heads to Seattle. Seattle couldn't be worse. They are a terrible football team, and Atlanta will take care of business on the road. Yep, absolutely. Matty Ice and the boys beat the Pete Carroll-led Seahawks. Giants head into Arizona, and even though I hate to say it, I'm going to take Eli Manning's New York Giants to win on the road and beat the Arizona Cardinals. Absolutely. They're coming off of...
Huge win against the Dream Team, Philadelphia Eagles, and they will take care of business. Denver goes to Green Bay, and do we even dignify that one? Absolutely not. Green Bay wins. Green Bay and a laugher. That's right. New England goes into Oakland. Are you ready, Woods? I'm ready, man, and this took me about 15 minutes to decide. Oakland wins. I thought so, too, dude, but I picked the Patriots because I'm a giant P-word. Miami heads. To San Diego in the game that no one in San Diego will see. It's blacked out. If you want to see the game, just hop on a flight to Miami and you'll be able to. I take San Diego to win that game. Also did take San Diego myself. Indianapolis at Tampa. I say Tampa finally starts throwing the ball to their star, Mike Williams, and that that game is a blowout that Tampa Bay... blows Indianapolis out at home. Yeah, for you guys that didn't know, Mike has Mike Williams on his fantasy team. I have LeGarrette Blount, so I think Tampa Bay really starts running football this weekend, but they do beat the Colts. And finally, in a very low scoring game, the Jets will go to Baltimore, and I think that's going to be a low scoring game, but I will take Baltimore at home. I did too, and I picked them to win 17-10. Alright, Woodsy, what is your
Guaranteed win. What game do you think is a guarantee? Well, I got knocked out of the survivor picks, but if I had to pick one, it would be the New Orleans Saints over the Jacksonville Jaguars without question. Take the Saints. And I will take the Green Bay Packers against the Broncos in my sure thing. it'll be the Green Bay Packers that will definitely win that game. Good call. 570-1949 is our phone number. And you can give us a call right now if you want to. Dr. Michael Conrad is being sued. He is in court. More than being sued, actually. Sorry. Dr. Conrad Murray is on trial basically for manslaughter. in the death of Michael Jackson. And it isn't looking good for him. Things right now are not looking good for him. And, you know, I don't know if you've heard any of this stuff, Woods. Have you heard any of the audio? I haven't heard the audio, but I read a really interesting story from one of the security guards at Michael Jackson's house yesterday. Really? That is insane. What was it? That he, L.O.B. actually sent me the story.
The guard saw the doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray, picking up empty bottles of the propofol and what was the other? Lorazepam or something? Yeah, what Michael Jackson calls his milk. His milk was the propofol. He asked the security guard to get rid of it, basically. Yes. He walks in, finds Michael dead, finds all these bottles, picks them up, and gives him the security guard and says, get rid of them. Before he does any resuscitation. I think I've got that audio. Is that Alberto Alvarez? I believe so, yes. Here we go. Did he then instruct you to take some vials or do something with some vials? Yes. While I was standing at the foot of the bed, he reached over and grabbed a handful of vials. And then he reached out to me and said, here, put these in a bag. Whoa. Get rid of them. Yeah. Do you think that he was thinking evidence? You know, this is evidence and I don't want it to. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. More about logistics as he's testing. I was reaching for my phone in my pocket. And as I was doing that, Prince and Paris came behind me. That's his kids. Michael's kids. And Paris screamed out, Daddy. When you heard Paris scream out, Daddy, was she crying?
Yes, sir. Oh, man. Oh, my God. Terrible. That is haunting. But all of this is coming out now. What do you guys think? Do you think that this guy is going to get convicted? I think so. Yeah. Evidence looks pretty strong, right? And the security guard was saying, like, at the time, everything was happening in such a haste. He didn't know why the doctor told him to do that. And then he saw on TV the bag being removed by police officers as evidence. And he was like, huh. Maybe I should speak up about this. Wow, man. And can I tell you a gnarly detail that the security guard said that he saw? So he came in on the scene when he found Michael like that, and he was wearing a condom catheter, which you wear so that you don't have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. No way. Which is something you do with someone that's incapacitated. Elderly and incapacitated. It had gotten that... bad for Michael in terms of how badly addicted he was to the stuff? That's how knocked out he was. That's how strong the meds are that this doctor is issuing. Well, here's what I don't get. This is what I don't get. And I, listen, maybe Michael Jackson was paying, dude, tons of dough. But you gotta think that this doc said, Michael, we can't do this. I mean, you know what I mean? Yeah, dude. I mean, the only thing I can think of is just that
That status that you have and that inner, your inner circle with the biggest star maybe ever. Yeah. And you're in. You're his guy. You're his guy that gets him what he says he needs. And that outweighed. But if you're a doctor, you're like, you also have to know as a doctor, I'm going to kill him. Yeah, he's going to die and it's going to be my fault. Yeah. I guess a lot of people use that drug because it's supposed to knock you out for a short time. It really knocks you out. But then when you come back, you're like super refreshed and ready to go. That's what they're saying, that a lot of doctors use it, too. Doctors use it on themselves? On themselves, because what happens is... If there's any docs listening, by the way, 570-1949, love to get a doctor's take on this stuff. Short amount of time to recover in between. They're always at the hospital or whatever, so they'll take it. Kills you, knocks you out. Knocks you out, and then, bam, you're back up, and you're just totally refreshed and back to normal. I mean, it's the same stuff that they put. It's an anesthetic that an anesthesiologist, which, by the way, I mean, just so you know, an anesthesiologist, the person that puts you under, that is so specialized. I mean, those guys are serious doctors. And it's one of the most high-paying physicians that you can be. And they have to take out a serious liability insurance because it's so dangerous and so specific.
It's so different from what the actual doctor does. And you've got to figure, this is not an anesthesiologist giving this stuff to Michael. This is a doctor giving this stuff to Michael. And an anesthesiologist that gives this stuff during surgery, when they walk into the room, that's it. That's all they do. And every surgery I've ever had, they'll tell you. Anesthesiologist is going to come in. They're going to explain to you what they're going to do. They're going to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I mean, it is a very, very serious deal. But anyway, if you're a doc, want to hear from you, want to know how this stuff works and all of that stuff, I want to hear it. 570-1949 is our number if you want to give us a call. Did you know that Duran Duran is going to be playing at a casino in San Diego County? Might have to check that out. I'd go. If it's on a weekend, I'm in. It is. It is, Woods. You want to go? I want to go. You want to go? Let's go. I was thinking about bringing it up to all of us to see if everybody, because I thought everybody would be in. It'd be a fun night. I asked Rebecca. She's like, oh yeah, I want to go. Jamie loves them too. It was funny because she goes, when you say a band name and a lot of girlfriends or wives are like this, you say a band name and they go, I don't know. But they say, but what are the songs? Right. And you start singing them and they're like, oh yeah, oh yeah.
It's one of those deals. Hell yeah, I can see that. I've seen them before. Jay Leno asked some pretty ballsy questions to Jazz Bono. And we'll play them for you when we get back. But there's a downside to such excellence. Borshead Oven Gold is a magnet for lunch thieves. You open up the office fridge and find your oven gold turkey sandwich has been stolen, pilfered, pinched. So what can you do? Well, you could get a cheap turkey sandwich from a sandwich chain, something made from ground-up parts, preservatives, and fillers like seaweed extract. Nobody's going to steal that. Or you could stand by your oven gold turkey and take defensive measures.
Invest in a padlocked lunchbox, set up a fridge cam, or simply eat your lunch at 10 a.m. before anyone has a chance to steal it. Sure, it's a little extra effort, but a great turkey sandwich needs protecting, and oven gold is the best there is. Boar's Head, compromise elsewhere. We've got a full house in here this morning and we have doctors on the line that are going to answer questions because we wanted to know about a huge story going on right now with Michael Jackson and the trial against Conrad Murray, his doctor. And so we have people that are doctors on the line that can answer questions and tell us exactly what's going on with that. Most modern dudes cannot do even, according to this survey, even the most basic home improvement tasks. 72% of men said that they could handle very basic home repair or improvement stuff, but...

There's no question. 40% of men say that they either can't do anything around the house, or they probably could, but they would choose to call a handyman instead. That's your boy. It's good for the economy, right? Yes, it is. Just trying to keep people in work. That's right. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? The best day of the year. The Major League Baseball playoffs, in my humble opinion. The Rays at the Rangers at 2 p.m. and the Tigers at the Yankees at 5.30 p.m. And then tomorrow, D-backs at Brewers, Cardinals at Phillies. We do have the audio of Jay Leno talking to Chaz Bono in just a moment. First, I want to talk to a couple of these people about how this stuff works.
This is M1 Brendan from Claremont. Are you there? I'm here. So, Brendan, propofol, is that the stuff that the anesthesiologists use to put people out? I think it's probably one of the best. Now, Jay was saying that even doctors will sometimes use it. Jay, you were saying for what? Apparently, what it does is it knocks you out fast. and for a short period of time, and then you come back like you've had 20 hours of sleep. What do you think, Brendan? Has that been your experience? No, no, no, no. I don't mean using it. I don't mean using it. But is that the effect that it has? I don't know if it gives you an effect per se, but it's definitely got a quick onset and a quick offset. So it's not like...
A sleeping pill where you take it and you might be groggy for hours after you get up. Kind of once the effect wears off, you're awakened. So, I mean, that's why we use it a lot in the ICU and stuff. You know, if you need to take a patient off, you can kind of shut it off. And that's what I was going to ask you. So, in other words, when you want to wake somebody up from it, I'm guessing that you use a particular amount to put them out for a particular amount of time. But they call it drip. So it kind of runs continue and you can increase the rate. Wow. Okay. Hey, I appreciate it. Thank you very much. That's M1 Brendan explaining how it works. Let's see. So this was Jay Leno talking to Chaz Bono about exercise, of all things. Maybe he thought this was rude. Now, what happened to your knees? I saw them. They were icing you. What did you do? Did you fall? No, no. I don't really have like a, you know, I didn't.
fall or break something or tear something. It's just, I'm 42 years old, I'm overweight, and I'm, you know, dancing five hours a day. Let me ask you an honest question. Is this the first exercise you've done in a long time? No, no, no, no, not at all. The most intense, right? Well, I mean, who exercises five hours a day? I mean, unless you're getting ready for, you know, some kind of competition. Five hours a day? It's no joke, man. Those people shed some LBs on that show. Oh, my. What? What, huh? Five hours a day? No big deal. Probably isn't. It's not for him. That's the worst part of what he just said. Right. He's probably exercised for longer than five hours. Seems like a waste of time to me. Depends on how you're doing it. Like yesterday, I skated for about two hours. Made love for six. That's right. Mountain climbed. He's a good dad for 25. Yeah. 25 minutes straight. There's only 24 hours in a day. I make 25, believe me. When you say skate, what are you talking, skateboarding? Yeah, I have a buddy that has, in his backyard, he has a pool and a half pipe. Is your buddy Tony Hawk? Man, his kids are going to be. His kids are 12, I think eight, and there's another one in between there somewhere.
They have the coolest yard. I am so envious. M1 Tierza. I think it's pronounced Tierza from San Diego. Am I saying it right? You are concerned about me and my Apple thing that I, or my thing that I talked about for the Mikey Show and Tell. Like a woman. I'm obsessed with what, like a woman? With anything. ipod or apple or iphone i'm just over it i'm sick of hearing about it i have an android wow woods just went into wait wait hang on i just have to describe for the audience members woods just went into his coffin and put his folded his hands over his chest um okay you're upset why are you so angry no no no you don't sound it no no i'm
angry. I'm just over it. I'm over you talking about it. I'm over everybody talking about it. I'm sick of it. They don't work any better than anything else. It's a monopoly. This is communism at its best. Okay, hang on. First of all, Mom, I've told you not to call while I'm working. It's a monopoly. It's not a monopoly. In fact, yesterday, Kindle came out with their iPad. It's called the Kindle Fire. He wants that, by the way. He's going to get one. I would love to. But why are you so angry that I use Apple products? You probably hear it all the time. Apple this, Apple that. You go out to dinner. You're talking about Apple. You're in bed with somebody. You're talking about Apple. You open the fridge to get orange juice. It's true. When you and I are in bed together, you are always talking about Apple. You and I are not in bed together ever. What a fabulous idea! We're not in bed together. We've never napped together, actually. No, we haven't. Mike, don't hide your feelings. Never say never. It came off a little gay. If by a little you mean a lot, then yes. Well, I'm sorry that you feel this way. I like Apple products, and I talk about them because I like them.
Yes. You want to marry them. That's right. You want to divorce your wife and marry an Apple product. If you could. Tierraza? iWoman. Yes. Do you have a, what kind of cell phone do you use? Android. Yes. Greetings. Does it make you better? Are you dating? I'm dating Android. Yes. Are you dating your Android? Are you in love with your Android? He is definitely with me all the time. Okay. Even when I go to bed and when I shower, he comes into the bathroom. Okay. He's there when I wake up to sundown. Super. To sundown. All right. Well, maybe I can get your phone number and call and berate you for using your Android. No, the thing is, it's not like I talk. I don't go around telling everybody preaching about the Android. That's true. You are a preacher, Marjorie. You are a preacher. Wouldn't be the first time. It's funny because Apple people do have the feeling that they have to tell you all about it. No way. I don't. I don't either. I use them. Mikey likes to get up on the pulpit. Oh, boy. Oh, God. Oh, boy. I do. I do. It's always Apple every time we do the show and tell. What's always? What's always? Well, that's because that's the stuff that I like. Guy talks about what he likes.
I am going to be put into such a box about what I'm allowed to talk about. No, you are not. I want to know what is safe for me to talk about. You can talk about scissors. Scissors, okay. No, no, you can't because they can hurt somebody. That's true. Somebody will complain. I'm going to cut my scissors. Enchiladas. Can I talk about enchiladas? Can I talk about anything you want? Can he? I'm just overhearing about it all the time. It doesn't need to be talked about all the time. We get it. The world loves Apple. I got you. Everybody has an Apple. All right. Okay, you're screaming. You're yelling at the top of your lungs. If you had to pick a topic in your life that is something that you really like, what is it? Because I'll tell you what I'm going to do. Whatever it is, Tierza, I'm going to talk about it. In fact... like to talk about how the new generation of men are men children and don't man up and at 32 you should probably be manning up enough to like have a committed relationship and not still be looking for some fairy tale I think we're getting somewhere wow
I think we're getting somewhere. That was specific. A little bit specific. And she's all, Brian. If you're listening. Yes. Although you do talk about men, children. You say there's a lot of little boys that shave. Yeah, there is. I do say that. I say there's a lot of little boys that shave. When you get on your pulpit. Oh, gosh. Come on, Deacon. Come on. Easy with the holy water. Oh, God. That was maybe too far. Yeah, I mean. Jay ever just take it and just toss it? Stomp on it. Stomp on it. Jay's going to hell, so he's going to celebrate on his way there. Well, I agree with you there, Tierra. I do believe that there are a lot of little boys that shave, meaning that there's not enough men's men. I agree with you. What's happening to them? Apple products, probably. Apple products. Yeah. And sometimes, well... Sometimes women in their lives are a little overbearing. Sometimes. Whatever. Whatever. We're not projecting or anything. You are projecting. Whatever. Type it up on your Apple iPad. Let me know. Thank you, Tarissa. Is that for Brian or for Mike? Yeah. Is it directed at me or whoever the 31-year-old guy that you were talking about was? No, I'm not even typing.
It's not even in my life I have a man. No, no, no. Sounds like he's happy. Whine and complain about how they want their freedom and they don't want to be tied down and blah, blah, blah. And it's like, I don't even know what they're talking about. I don't want to disrupt his life too much, but the guy that you're with, are you willing to give his first name? What is it? Dean. Dean. So is Dean... Pretty stoked? Yeah, he's amazing. He's a great guy. Okay, so now is he your husband? No, no, no. Well, he hasn't committed then. He hasn't committed. He's a man-child. He's asked me. I am not ready. Okay. Hang on. You just berated. And by berated, I mean screamed at the top of your lungs about how there's too many...
man-childs out there and that they are not doing what they should be doing, which is manning up and getting into committed relationships. You've got one, but you don't want it. Well, I'm monogamous and I'm committed. I just don't believe in marriage. I can go with that. Says the man who's been married for 27 years. 24. 24 years. Well, how is it that you're so into this whole commitment thing, yet you don't want a commitment thing? No, no, no. I am committed. I've been with him 15 years. I'm as committed as you can be. I don't cheat. I only love him. He's my guy. He's who I'm going to be with forever. I don't want to get married. I don't believe in marriage. The origin of marriage is women and slavery. I am not going to go into that just because our culture tells us. Yes. I'm fine with the way I am. Hallelujah. I was talking specifically about my friends and the boys that they date. So your friends are dating boys that won't commit to them. You're dating Dean the man who is fully willing to commit to you, but you don't want to because you believe that marriage is some sort of a bit. It's a government bit. It's a government. It's a government bit. I agree. Maybe you should get divorced.
Apple is a government bitch. Now Apple knows all of your information and can track you, and that's what they're doing to all of us. This river runs deep. It varies. It runs deep. We could not be more on the same page. Is this your wife? I know it sounds crazy. No, I'm with you. See lots of people buying Apple. Okay. Well, listen, I want you and I to become roommates. Sounds like we would get along great. Famously. Yeah, it sounds like pretty much in every way our philosophies are right along the same lines. We couldn't be more different. How do you feel about the Bible? Oh, shut up, Woods. Well, Tierza. Abort, abort, abort. Abort, abort, abort. Tierza, I wish you the best. I wish you the best, and I hope things work out. You should call in all the time. With Dean. Thank you. With the man trapping your every movement. Okay. Well, I appreciate you and everything you stand for. Tell Dean that we are sorry. Stop.
We'll talk to you later. Thank you, Tierza. Poor bastard. That was Tierza from San Diego. Jay, it hurts me when you say that. It hurts Kim. It hurts your wife. No, it doesn't. She felt the same way. We could have just lived together forever. And still had kids, but my mom wanted us to get married. I think it's just a piece of paper. The government's way of controlling you. We would have stayed together regardless of whether. Then why do you celebrate your anniversary? Because we celebrate the time that we've been together. But you were together before we got married. But we celebrate that as well. And Jay, it doesn't make any sense when you say the only reason we're married is because mommy made me. No, because of church. I mean, well, because that was her beliefs, and I didn't want to break my mom's heart. Well, that's her beliefs. My mom's beliefs, yes. So it was easy enough to fall into this fake bit that, you know, you've got to get married. We talked about this a couple days ago, and I said to Jay, I go, well, Jay, your mom didn't make you. And he goes, oh, yes, she did. Oh, yeah, she did. Well, did she put a pistol in your ear? No, I did not want to break her heart. So you broke all your morals and beliefs? No, I figured, no hair off my back.
Or no skin off your back. Yeah, no hair. Either one. You can do either one if you want to. I could, actually. In that regard, you can do either one. There's no skin off my nose. No hair off my foot. That's right. I told her, hey, Mom, that ain't no hair off my foot. I don't care. I'll do it. It was easy enough to do it. And so we did it in the least, you know, we eloped. We didn't go into a big ceremony. And we did it at my mom's church because that's what she wanted to have done. He says it with such disdain. Disdain. Just damn hurt. My mom's church. You know how I feel about the big church with the big windows and collection plates. I believe in God. I just don't believe in the God that wants me to give my money to a guy who's embezzling from people. At my church, that's exactly what happened. The preacher ended up being an embezzler. Was he really? Yeah, that happened in my church as well. He was taking money from the church. That happened at your church, too? Yeah. He ran off to the Philippines with all the money. So I believe in God, I just don't believe in man. You're God. Yeah. It seems like a business to me. Yeah. Well, if you have some time off the air, I'd love to explain that to you. Good luck catching him on that one. You did file the marriage certificate, which your mom never had to see that. Yeah, but I wanted to do what my mom wanted. But you could have just had a ceremony in the church. Yeah. We didn't, so happy birthday to you.
Well, wait a minute. Great debate. There's a James Carville in there. I mean, I do think it's interesting that it would have broke her heart if he hadn't gotten married. Because, you know, think that one through. He's full of it. No. I mean, we lived together forever. You don't believe that, L.O.B.? No. Talk to him. Talk to him. What I just said, he went through the marriage certificate process. He celebrates his wedding anniversary. My mom wanted the whole package done. Your mom wouldn't have checked your wedding, your marriage license. I didn't expect her to, but I didn't want to lie to my mom either. I know you probably don't have a problem with that, but I didn't want to lie to my mom. You were married in the eyes of God. Why did you have to put it in the eyes of the state? Because I think that is just the way getting married is. It's a tax benefit, L.O.B. That is true as well, which I think is another big bit. Like, why do they want us to get married so we have a tax benefit? Well, he really does believe that about marriage, though. I mean, I've never been able to understand the mom part because he really does say the only reason they got married was because mom felt it was important. Yeah, we were already in love and we were already living together. What else did you want? So you're a mama's boy.
Yeah, absolutely. Love my mama. Now, I don't get it. I don't get it, but it makes sense to Jay, and I guess that's all that matters. Listen, the reason that I did it was because I felt that symbolically it was the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with. I don't want to be with anybody else. Now, Jay's other side to that is, why do you have to get married to do that? Yeah. I will no longer allow Jay to give me a hard time about not being married. He didn't believe in it. But you really do, so it's easy for me. Do I? Yeah. Don't you? Not necessarily. Wait a minute. But you do, L.O.B. I do. You do. I was just trying to debate. Oh, man, would I love to have that. See, now, personally, I don't think that what he brought up, I don't think that's a bad conversation for the radio because I think that a lot of people may think that. what Jay was saying. Oh, yeah. Maybe I should address it. Maybe I should address it because a lot of people think what Jay said. You know, it's the deal about they're stealing the money, blah, blah, blah. Plus, I want to know this Philippines story. Oh, yeah. Oh, do I want to know the Philippines story? I don't want to know all the details. Sorted details. Oh, I like sorted. So I know it is a good topic, and I know that it is a spicy meatball. whenever it's charged, and I have to say, hmm, should we talk about this? If I do that, I know it's good. But I also know that what Jay said is something that I think a lot of people would have questions about. Now, there are some people that as soon as they hear anything that has to do with politics or religion, they go, they're done.
And that's I totally understand that. I think that the reason that I want to address Jay's question is because it's something that I have a little bit of knowledge about. And so let's say that I worked for a lobbying agency and somebody asked me and a question came up about something. You might find it interesting as a listener to listen in on that, whether or not you believe in that politics or not. whether or not those politics are yours or not, it doesn't make a difference. You might just find it interesting as an outsider to get to hear it. And so what I'm going to offer you is not my opinion. It isn't an opinion. It's just a knowledge. It's a knowledge that I have, and it's a book knowledge. That's it. It's just a book knowledge, and I'll give you a book response. Now, whether or not you believe in that, Book response, totally your deal. I'm just giving you the information that I have. And then you do with it what you want. Okay, so Jay, your objection that you raised was that you believe in God, but you don't believe, and I don't want to speak for you. You tell me how you said it. I believe in God, I just don't believe in the church. Okay. It's just plain and simple.
It's a business. Spicy. Okay. He believes, you believe that it's a business and that they simply want your money. Mm-hmm. Okay. Now, my answer is that I can see how you would feel that way because there's been instances where people have actually stole money. Mm-hmm. Where they've, you know, like pastors have stole money. Many. Many. Even the ones who don't, though. I mean, it's like a very decadent. lifestyle, I would say, or the drapings of the church are very decadent. Yeah. And so what you're saying is, if it were legit... If it were legit. What would it look like? I think it'd be very humble. It would be... Most of the money would be going to charities, be going to help people. The God that I look up to does not want you to have a marble staircase coming into your church. Doesn't want... big stained glass windows. He wants it to be very simple. Yes, he wants you to have a comfortable place to worship, but it doesn't need to have the nicest pews in the entire world. It doesn't have to be mahogany pews. I agree. I can get on board with that. Now, I agree. Now, here's what it all comes down to, I think, at the end of the day. At the end of the day, me and you can have an opinion.
about whatever we want to have an opinion about when it comes to these things and that will be um basically whatever opinions that we have will be our opinion right now what do you do though if you got to solve the opinion if you have to solve the debate well it's the kind of thing where you agree to disagree i mean you know We don't have to see eye to eye. It's just my opinion. It's the same as your opinion. I have my opinion. We're not going to convince each other otherwise. I agree with that. I agree with that. But here is a couple questions. Do you think that there are some good churches? I'm sure there are. Absolutely. I bet there are some good churches. What would make them a good church? I think the ones that are doing a lot of good for the community. A lot of good for kids. They're not putting a lot of money into their own pockets. It's just like a good charity. Like there's a lot of good charities around, but there's also a lot of charities that are paying the president or the CEO $500,000 a year, which, you know, hey, if you can get it, then good for you. But if you were truly in for that company and you really believed in what you're doing, I think you would donate a portion of your salary. Yeah. Now, here's what I can tell you.
I agree with Jay that there are some crooked people and there are crooked churches and all that stuff. But I'm just going to give you my, you've heard Jay's take, here's mine. My take is, is that whenever there's a debate about anything that has to do with God, for me, I refer to the owner's manual, which is the Bible for me. Okay. That's my owner's manual. So I refer to the Bible. And I say, well, what does the Bible say about giving money? First of all, in the Bible, it's the most mentioned thing in the Bible, money. And the reason that it's the most mentioned thing in the Bible, in my opinion, is because he certainly knew what was important to us and what was a big deal to us, and it's money. Now, I can give you my personal story with it. First of all, the Bible says that... We should give a tenth. And the word tenth means in the original Hebrew, the Hebrew word for tenth is tithe. Okay? So we're to make a tithe. Now, I don't want to go to a church that I look around and I feel is kind of like what you're saying. You know, I want to feel that the...
that the church is using their resources in a in a good way that they're being a good steward with what they have that they're being a good manager of what they've been given i can tell you the church that i go to is a big church and that's not the reason that they're a big church is because people have enjoyed the church and more people came to it it started out in the guy's garage right and then it grew And it grew and it grew and it grew. And they needed more room. So they got a bigger space. And they were in that space for a long, long time. And it wasn't fancy. In fact, it was a warehouse. It was built in an industrial warehouse. There was nothing fancy about it at all. And they outgrew it. They literally had to turn people away on Sundays.
There were shuttle buses that were bringing people in, but they literally had to turn people away because there wasn't enough room. In terms of helping the community, once a year, we don't go to church because that Sunday we're actually out in the community doing stuff in San Diego. We're repairing fences and we're, you know, I helped to rebuild a house for adults that can't take care of themselves. Shame it's only one. One Sunday a year. Well, and that's our pastor's point, too. He says, we got to get out and actually do something as a church. Now, hang on. In addition to doing that weekend of service, which I don't know any churches that do that, okay? In addition to weekend of service, which is what they call it, they've also got their hands in tons of ministries. And by ministries, I mean areas where they're giving and helping. They've fed over a million kids all over the world. They've given clothes. I mean, they've got so many different areas where they're helping and giving back to their community. The thing that freaks me out about when it becomes a super church is it becomes a – you're going to probably hate this, but it becomes like this –
popularity contest. It's like, hey, look how cool this church is. I don't think church should not be a social scene, which becomes, hey, do you go to the big, cool church? It should be able to worship. I understand that. There's no part of that that I would disagree with. In fact, that exists even at our church. There are a few churches in San Diego that are gigantic. It's a popularity contest. In fact, sometimes you'll see bumper stickers on the back of people's cars saying what church they go to. Right. Because it's a cool church. But I have to step back from it and I have to ask myself, okay, so it's a popularity contest. Maybe it is. But then I have to also ask myself, well, is there anything redeeming about it at all? Oh, I'm sure. Absolutely. I mean, is there anything redeeming about it? I mean, because the truth is, is that I can't measure God by his fans. You know, people can't necessarily measure me by mine. You know, I have some fans that are cool and I got some fans that are douchebags and I got some fans that are crazy people and absolutely nuts and some fans that are really nice and really giving. They're all different.
But if you want to know me, you've got to get to know me. Now, what I can tell you about me is that because I'm a person, you know, I'm flawed. I'm flawed. And, you know, we all are. We're all flawed. But I can't measure God by some church. Yeah, and that's my thing is I don't feel like I need the church to have a relationship with God. You probably don't. But at some point you've got to ask yourself, well, you know, do I have one? And if I do, or if I want one, you know, where am I going to get it? I mean, the reason that I went to church is because I just wanted to know stuff. I just wanted to know stuff. I mean, I didn't know anything. I picked up a Bible in 2005, really, for the first time. And for those of you that are just tuning in, this isn't me going off on a, you know, tangent. Jay asked... I started this. Sorry. Yeah. I'm sorry. No, no, no. I mean, he had a... There's no fight going on. No, no, there's no fight. I mean, I'm not even... Honestly, all I'm doing is giving my answer to the question. I mean, dude, let me tell you. The thing that you brought up, that's actually something that is within our own church even. I mean, within our church, Jay, there are people that go...
Why are you spending money on that? Why are you spending money on that? And I mean, to the point where, you know, our pastor will make it a point to say, hey, you see this like setting behind me? It was volunteer work. Like it didn't cost very much because he knows that there's people that are going to write cards and letters and be like, why did you spend so much money on this? And what is, you know, it's like we get the same thing here, you know, where people are like. Why are you doing this bit? Why are you doing that bit? Why don't you do this? Why don't you do that? I mean, it's like at some point, you know, you got to leave it up to them to be able to decide and kind of trust that they're not crooked, you know? But the bottom line is that my giving to the church, it doesn't have anything to do with do I think they're crooked or don't I? I'm doing it because I'm trying to be faithful. with the money that I've been given, and I don't believe it's my money. I don't believe it's my money. I believe that I am a manager of what I've been given. Because if I don't think that it's his, it's like I heard a long time ago. I could walk in the middle of my living room, look up at the ceiling and go, hey, God, this isn't your money. It's mine. And if you don't believe me, try and take it from me. And I'm not willing to do that. I'm not willing to do it.
And so, you know, that's a deal. And I don't feel it's adversarial at all. M1 Youth Leader from Del Mar. How are you doing, Mike? What's up? Hey, I'm a youth leader, and I actually just started working at this church in February. And before I worked here, I didn't realize how much of a business church actually was. There's so much business. The business aspect is huge to a church. You know, growing up, I'm only 21, so growing up, I thought, hey, I want to be a youth leader, and it's all about just loving people, and when they come here on Sundays, love them, but there's so much that money, we need money. That's why we advertise. Actually, my church doesn't advertise. We don't ask for any money. We have offering buckets at the very back, so people will drop off money on the way out, but we never ask for money. Same bit with us, and not only that, but our church makes it a point to not bring money up. I remember one time,
walking into a church and the first like 20 minutes was about money and how much they needed it and i was like this isn't what i'm here for you know i don't want to hear about i don't really care how much money you need i think the same can be said for churches as anything it's like saying that all veterinarians just want the money all doctors you know what i mean and some churches are right i've said that and you're right and and uh You know, I've said that I believe that veterinary juices you. And there's got to be some vets that are actually pretty, you know, on the up and up. They're in it for, you know, helping the animals. I mean, but in the end, they do have to keep, there's a certain amount of money you have to ask from your parishioners. I don't know if that's what people still call it. Last time I went to church. Well, I mean, you got to pay the bills. Yeah. You got, I mean, you got to pay. You've got to pay power bills. But if you don't think it's a business, try to book a wedding or a funeral or anything like that and see how much they charge you. Yeah. Just to use it, because what else is your option? This is what I can tell you. I know the pastor at my church really good. There's two. I know one of them really, really well, and I know the other one very well. And I can tell you that...
He's an honest dude. But I can also tell you that we're all people. We're all just people. What I judge it by is, well, am I learning anything? That's why I go. I want to grow. That's the reason I go. I want to grow. And when I go there, I grow. And there is debate even within the church community about exactly what Jay brought up. Dude, there are some people, man. that in the, in like the church community that are like those big mega churches that sucks. It shouldn't be happening. It's wrong. It's blah, blah, blah. And there's some people that are going, you know what, man, we're bringing people in here. Like there's actually people, we want to make this a welcoming environment. And when I walk into the place that, that I, because my church is broken up into what they call venues. So you go to what type of music you like. which some churches would flip out about that. Oh, my gosh. You're going for the type of music that you like. Well, feast. It's where you feel comfortable. Yes. It's where you get it done. I personally like the ornate churches and the old architecture of the old. And I personally enjoy that experience more than a warehouse. And there are people and there are people that say it's a rock concert. Why? You know, I don't want to rock. OK.
You don't have to. It's very personal, and I don't think that people should judge other people for how they decide to worship. Yeah. Hey, man, if people want to do it in a little old house, that's fine. It's fine with me. In fact, we have one service at our church where they don't play music at all, and that venue's called The Message, and you go there for The Message. You don't actually go there and hear any music at all. So whatever. You know, but I've always been confused about, and I mean even before I was a believer, it used to confuse me, like, why people got so pissed. Like, it does. It confused me, like, why do people get so pissed? You have ideals about everything, you know? I was a lot like Jay before. I've had some really poor experiences at churches. Really poor. You know, just awful. kind of stuff has happened to me at church. And I, you know, I had a lot of those ideas. Dude, you told me one. You told me one that was just, it was awful, bro. It was awful. And that's what I, you know, that's why I always say, I'm like, hey, even if it is, even if you have a bad experience at church, don't use it as an excuse. And that's the deal. And it's being a human, you know, using the human element and having feelings and...
You get desensitized and you get bitter and you can get really bitter about anything, anything in your life. It doesn't have to be church, religion or whatever. And, you know, just some stuff had happened to me before. And, you know, I've had ups and downs, peaks and valleys just with religion and God my whole life. I mean, I always like peak and valley, peak and valley. And it's because of experiences like that. It's hard not to be cynical sometimes. Then other times it's like, you know, you're feeling it. You feel it. Feel it in your life. You know, when you're in an airplane and it loses one of the engines, suddenly people don't have that strong opinion. Exactly. Yeah, you're on your knees, man. You are. What's that saying about the foxhole? Yeah, there's no atheists in the foxhole. It's fair enough. It is fair enough. There's plenty of atheists listening right now going, I'd be an atheist in the foxhole. That's fine. That's fine. But, you know, I've always thought, you know, if... If you're an atheist and I were talking about anything that had to do with religion on the air, which, by the way, I save it for Friday at the end of the show and I just tell my story. That's all I do. I just tell you my story. But there are some people that, you know, get really upset about it. Even our general manager here at the radio station, until he looked at some hard data and realized that, oh, my goodness, when the guy gives his testimony, suddenly there's like triple the amount of people.
questioned it and wondered, you know, was there something negative that was, you know. And I've always tried to deliver it in a way that isn't, it's just my story. I don't try to shove it down anybody's throat. I really don't. I mean, I'll answer a question. If people have a question about it, I'll answer a question. And this is something that people don't know that I've said a couple of times. It happens to be the biggest passion in my life. But I'm gifted to do what I do here on the radio. And so I do my thing on the radio and I really, really enjoy it. But in terms of my hobby, my hobby and my biggest passion in terms of a hobby is theology. It just happens to be a passion and a really fun hobby of mine. Tony feels that Jay hit the nail on the head. Tony from La Mesa, you there? Go ahead. I'm like a media director, and I've worked there for about 14 years, been saved for about 19, got saved when I was a kid. But, yeah, Jay hit it on the nail. Church is a complete 100% business. It's all about money, generating money to pay for their rent, to pay for their lease, to do the different things that they've got to do. I do agree with you, Mikey, that it is important for us to get together and to learn different things. But a lot of that stuff, as a church grows and becomes a super church or becomes a bigger church,
It's all generated by money because there's no way to continue to have that church roll on if there is no money. Is it possible, though, Tony, that in addition to paying the rent, they're also really helping literally millions of people? The focus is them. It always will be them. I've been on board directors. I've been on all different types of sets. And the main focus is always them, because if they don't continue them, then they can't pay their payroll, they can't pay their pastor, they can't pay for the house. It's a vicious circle, man. It really is. It's a vicious, vicious circle. Well, I mean, there's no doubt about it. I mean, they do have to pay the rent, and they've got to pay the bills, and they've got to do all that stuff. M1 Orlando from San Diego, are you there? Yeah, Mikey. Yeah. Hey, I don't want you to take this wrong. I listen to you guys daily. You're my favorite show. I like all you guys. I wish your show was eight hours instead of four. You know, I've had God save my life. I don't preach to anybody, and I just kind of think you're taking it too far. You really need to maybe change the subject. I've heard that before. And were you turned off by it the second I started talking about it? I mean, it just keeps going on and on and on and on.
It just seems like it's not an ending thing. Well, let me ask you a question. Let me ask you something. And this is simply curiosity. Right. We will do, because I've now been talking about this subject for 20 minutes. Right. Okay? Now, we will do 20 minutes on a variety of topics, some of them serious. For instance, Michael Jackson and his trial. We'll do 20 minutes on that. Sometimes maybe I do 20 minutes talking about my kid's autism and I talk about what's going on with my son and his autism. I don't think so. You're way over the what? He's way older. I'm older than you guys. I'm older than Derek. Okay. I understand. But sometimes I'll do 20 minutes and I'll be talking about autism or I'll be talking about Michael Jackson or sometimes I'll do 20 minutes when I'm talking about whatever.
And that doesn't, you don't think that I'm taking it over the top with that. So what is it about this that makes you, I know, Jay, I know. What is it that makes you feel that this is over the top? Some don't. You're never going to get the ones that don't get it to get it. And I guess it might be because of my age. I've heard it all and I've got my own to deal with. You know, I go for a living. I'm in the semi right now. I'm dumping my load. When I get in my truck every morning, I never preach to anybody, but I say a prayer. I don't want to kill anybody. I don't want to hurt myself. But, I don't know, it just seems like it's just going on and on and on, you know, and I still listen to you guys. Yeah, well, I'm glad that you do, and hey, I'm done. And, you know, I was answering Jay's question, and I always say this, man. I think it pissed you off.
And I say anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And I think that there's some... Yeah, but it didn't piss me off. I just went to another station. It's just my opinion. Just my opinion. Yeah, my opinion is it did. And, you know, anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And I think there's something about the topic of faith that hits on one of those deals. Well, I got a problem if I get pissed off over that. Yeah. I didn't get pissed off. I just... Some people want to just laugh. Yeah, there's just some times where you expect the chuckles. Yeah, any serious topic is going to turn them off. I just want to dance. I just want to go. I do too. Well, thank you for the call. And I'm done. When we come back, we'll just get into seminary. Can you tell us about Ecclesiastes? Right.

The Lincoln Financial Radio Station. This is the Mikey Show. I know. Mikey. Everybody freaks out about guns and stuff. I don't freak out about them because my brother, I grew up around them. My brother had them the whole time I was growing up, so I don't freak out about guns. I like them. Woods. I flooded an entire Hampton Inn. Lauren. I used to be really into the Grateful Dead. Fantastic. And like the knob chompa. And Jay. I don't want to miss somebody calling this like, hey, let's go serve. Or let's go do something. Oh, Jay, shut up. This is the Mikey Show. Can you believe? We'll let you hear what it sounds like when you have a live studio. It sounds just like that. Welcome to the program. I want to let you know that there are some prisoners here in California that are really trying to rile up their wardens. California prison officials are threatening discipline to thousands of inmates who are participating in a statewide...
hunger strike. And apparently the reason for it is they say that, first of all, the solitary confinement cells are a problem and so are gang security measures, which they think are putting them in danger. And a strike started on Monday. 4,252 inmates in eight prisons and a previous hunger strike over the same issue happened in July. That involved 6,000 inmates at its peak. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, if you didn't hear the news earlier, the Chargers are in fact blacked out for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. There are plenty, plenty of good tickets available. Go to chargers.com if you'd like to go to the game. Now, if you go to the game, you're hoping that you're going to see Malcolm Floyd and Vincent Jackson play. They have missed the past two days of practice, but they're optimistic that they will be in there. However, Antonio Gates, Mike. Fantasy team. Don't start him this week. He's not playing? He's probably not going to play. Probably. He probably isn't. Is it a probably or is it a for sure? It says probably will be without tight end Antonio Gates. He's got ongoing plantar fasciitis. That stuff is just never cleared up for that poor guy. I heard something the other day about it. And they said, you know, he got surgery in the offseason. And they said that what he has to do now, and this made me pucker up, he has to tear through the scar tissue.
In order for it to get better. Oh, my gosh. I wonder how they will do that. Just doing what he's doing, playing. And the pain, they said, is unbearable. Now, they said if you and I had plantar fasciitis, we go in, we get our footwork done, right? They fix it. We're walking around. Face it. We don't do a whole hell of a lot. Right. So we're okay. We're not even feeling pain. But if we're lined up. and we're busting off the line, we're making cuts, we're getting hit, it's excruciating. I would love to see sort of a doctor explain, it's right here, and here's what it does, and here's why it hurts, and have that whole, I think it's in the heel. I believe it's in the heel. My wife has it. Does anybody in here know about plantar fasciitis and how it works? No. Okay. Because I'm curious about the thing and how it works. I will literally read anything that I can find about that topic because I just think it's so interesting. If it's an automobile magazine, I'll read it. 5701949 is the number. And I said that we were going to be going in a different direction. And we are. I'm going to tell you about five things that have been scientifically proven to arouse women. Scientifically proven. You going to do them right now?
He's going to read the list. I'm just going to read the list. You don't want to drive all those women in the audience crazy. Well, I actually could because the first thing on the list is a deep voice. Oh, you don't say, Mike. Deep voices aren't just signs of manliness. Is that right? But they also say that studies have found that they're more memorable. It would be like Mike Hansen from our station. That's right. He's got a very deep voice. That's right. A lot of bottom. Don't talk about his bottom. That's a little creepy. He's a married man. It's very weird, LLB. They say that women are biologically attracted to men that stick in their memories. I usually stick in a woman's memory, but not for that reason. At least you're sticking, though. Yeah. This next one will shock you. A feminine look. A feminine look actually is scientifically proven to arouse women. Now, wait. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Because all the women immediately go, they don't know what they're talking about. No, they don't. Just hang on. What they say is that women look for less masculine men when they want to settle down. Hello.
Because there's a better chance that those guys are going to stick around. Really? Mm-hmm. Full lips and gentle cheekbones. Gentle cheekbones. Hmm. Tom Brady? No, his aren't gentle. Are they not? He's got high, like, prominent cheekbones. That's not gentle? Yeah, what are gentle cheekbones? You have gentle cheekbones. Oh, boy. What about you? That's just fat. Fat. Yeah, Woods, you've got the gentlest cheekbones I've ever seen. So creepy. I need an example. It came off a little gay. Johnny Depp, does he have gentle cheekbones? Yeah, I think so. Woods is very attracted to Johnny Depp. He is. Extremely attracted to him. Admittedly so. I wouldn't say that I'm attracted to him. I think he is attractive. You're in love with him. You said he's your guy that you would. If I had to kiss a guy, it would be Johnny Depp. Isolate. We do have that isolate. M1 Nathan from Sorrento Valley. What was the word of the day? Automobile. Oh, gosh. I'm sorry about the loudness of that. Oh, wow. That is correct. It was automobile. And hang on the line, please.
Appreciate that. Okay. Number three, wearing red. Wearing red is a study that they did at the University of Rochester, and they found that dudes that wear red are perceived by women to be better looking and have a higher status. Men that wear red. Chances we get some red shirts. Real good. I have one, and actually my wife really likes it, and I think it's hideous. Yeah? Yeah. Matt has like several workout shirts, like red workout shirts. And when he goes to 24-Hour Fitness, that's what they wear. And he often gets mistaken as somebody that works at 24-Hour Fitness. Really? Well, that's because of his body. Yeah. He's got a really nice body. Rock hard. Woods. I've seen him do pull-ups. I know. It's a sight to see. It is. But it is strange when you talk about Matt's body. Right after talking about Johnny Depp's lips. Listen, I'm a married man to a beautiful woman. Too bad she's a woman. That's all you're saying. I love women. I know you do. My wife. Just my wife.
Yeah, I know. I don't love on anybody else. I know, I know. But whenever you talk about BFMC, which is Lauren's boyfriend, Matt Commerce, you always say, man, he's got a hot body. I don't say he's got a hot body. You've said it. He's a good body. Okay, a good body. He's got a good body. Listen, I can appreciate it. Okay. More than likely. This next one is going to get you. Oh, boy. Women are scientifically proven to be aroused by men that are moody. Yeah. 100%. In a study out of Canada, women were least attracted to smiling, happy men. It's true. God, they love a dark, moody. They basically preferred everything else. Guys who looked moody, proud, or powerful. Believe it. I would definitely say that. Well, here's the thing. When you're just going to a movie or a lunch or whatever with someone, yeah, you want them to be in a good mood.
Nothing gets me more when Matt's not giving me attention or it seems like he's mad. I'm like, what are you doing? What are you doing? What are you doing? You chase him. Yeah. So basically, girls like Draculas. Think about it. Moody. I'm thinking. Soft cheekbones. Still thinking. I'm still thinking. Well, I'm trying to imagine Dracula being like, you're not going to pay this or what? Dracula definitely wears red. Yeah, he wears red. See? Dracula. He wears black. The study was put on by Dracula. Yeah. So Jay brought that article up two weeks ago in a meeting, so he's been sitting on that. That line. Just came up with it. That line. Just came up with it. He's been sitting on that. I can't wait until he goes to that story. I'm going to talk about Dracula. Oh, God, that's a good one. Kim, do you like this line? Look at this article. I just came up with this. And the last one. This is the last thing that is scientifically proven to arouse women. Scars. A guy with scars. Scars. But they didn't like diseased men. Scars does it for me. Really like a guy in a health mask. A guy with scars on his face is more attractive to a woman in the short term because he looks brave and daring. How'd you get those scars? Can I kiss your scars? I fell off my bike when I was six. Poor thing. L.O.B. said yesterday.
That when her man is a little bit dangerous and talks a little bit dangerous, turns her on. Yeah, I'm like, oh my gosh, stop it, but keep going. Yeah. You're so crazy. He said he was ready to, what is it, swap paint? Trade paint. Trade paint with somebody on the freeway that was giving him a little lip. Yeah, and you were like, stop it. I was like, babe, that's so dangerous, but when did that happen and what did the other guy look like? What were you wearing? Yeah. Were you sweating when it happened? Oh, my gosh. Did it just happen? What is something that only a douchebag would say? Now, this is what I mean by this. Let me explain. What I mean is something like, don't you know who I am? Google me. Oh, God. That's the worst. Google me. That's the worst. And I've met one dude. Me too. That said, Google me. Woods, you got one? Well, you guys, I called you chief this morning, and you said that that's something that only a douchebag would say. Yeah. Color me a douchebag. How about, have you seen my car? Have you seen my car? Oh, God, that's horrible, dude. Has anybody ever actually said, have you seen my car?
Where would you say that? Like a John Hughes film, maybe? John Hughes? Yeah. What do you drive? In what context? They would say, what do you drive? Like, they're trying to compare. What do you drive? What do you drive? Drive a 90-01 Suburban. What do you do for a living, Mike? I don't think that's douchey to ask somebody what they do. Depends on how they say it. Hard K you on the mic? Yeah, if they hard K me, then yeah. Definitely. What's just something that's douchey to say that you just don't say? Oh, I think it is douchey to tell people how much you made last year. Oh, yeah. It's douchey to speak about yourself in the third person. Easy. Or add any... Easy. Like a nickname? Or add any, like, stir on the end. Yeah, it's the Bradster. Now that's horrible. It's the Mikester. Yes, very true. The Mikester. It doesn't bother me when Woods calls himself the kid. But that's different than Woods. It's not a self-appointed nickname. If Woods likes it, then you like it. If he said that, I'd be like it. Oh, God, that's hideous. You guys are dating. Hey, listen, you made Woods laugh. You can make anybody laugh. You made the Woodman laugh. You can make anybody laugh.
I would get my throat slit for that. Yes, by me personally. Yes. Ashton Kutcher did that. Yeah, he did it about Zach Galifianakis. If you can make the Kutch laugh, you can make anybody laugh. Really? What are you, the standard of comedy, Ashton? Yeah, hilarious. Yeah, Richard Pryor Jr. From Fox News, Demi Moore splitting from Ashton Kutcher as a woman comes forward with alleged affair. This was saucy. 23-year-old woman's come forward with a bombshell claim that she had a fling with Ashton Kutcher at a San Diego club last Friday. Yep. Also, Mike, him and Demi's, Demi or Demi? Demi. I thought it was Demi. I thought it was Demi. Well, whatever. Their anniversary, mind you. He's out blowing it out on their anniversary with some 23-year-old broad. It says the anniversary of his sixth year. That's it? I thought they'd been married longer than that. Dated for a while. Yeah. The unidentified woman has gone into hiding and hired a top Hollywood attorney. Gloria Allred, maybe? Probably. Why are you going to hiding? Oh, because you just don't want people asking. Jay, can we get her on? I already had her. Oh, wow. That wasn't what he meant. That's not what I meant. Very weird. What else could he have meant?
Good question. I didn't say, Jay, can we turn her on? Done. Anyway, she tweeted a photo of herself and said, I see through you. So weird. To me, she was vague tweeting. She's like 48 years old or something, and she's vague tweeting. That's a real term? It's vague booking for Facebooking. Vague booking. Vague booking. So vague tweeting is when you do something that's very cryptic. No one knows what you're saying, but they know that it's scandalous. I just can't believe that this happened to me. Oh, boy. It figures this would happen again. Yeah, it figures this would happen again. What happened? What'd you do? Makes my heart race. You know who you are. What? Me? What did I do? What did I do? Or, you know, when you think you know your friends. And then every friend that you have is like, I hope I'm not the bad one. Gosh, what did I do? Am I cool, though? Yeah, you're cool. And then the other people are like, well, what about me? You're not cool. Am I cool? You're not cool. And they don't respond. You didn't text me back, so I had to go to Twitter. Oh, boy. Is this because I told you I like Glee? I mean, what's that? Man, I thought it would be that serious. 570-1949.
New movies that are coming out today. I got a couple of clips from a couple of new movies, you tell me. The movies, by the way, I was looking at a list of the summer blockbusters. I'm like, gosh, nothing seemed all that cool to me this year. Not in on Thor, huh? No, dude, that was one of them. Weird. It was all a lot of those, you know, it was all that. Let's see. New movies out today. 50-50 with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Do you know who that is? He was the guy that was in Inception. So 50-50 is out in the box office today. Also out today, What's Your Number? Anna Faris? It's about how many dudes they've slept with. What's your number? Looks pretty weak. And Dreamhouse. Probably one of the scarier looking films I've seen in a long time. You haven't seen it? Uh-uh. Daniel Craig. Do you know who that is? Yeah, James Bond. Yeah, James Bond. Craig. Craig. Daniel Craig. A family moves into a new house only to learn that the previous residents were brutally murdered with the killer still at large. That has never been done.
What? No. The old previous house bit? But he's not a ghost. He's really still at large. Yeah. That's good. Oh, that could be. And there's two little girls in it that are twins. You use two little girls that are twins, forget it. You're done. It's over. It's the scariest thing. I've never been more scared in my life than those two little broads in the shining. Yeah. Ever. Never. And The Shining did it first. And anyone who copies... Sorry. Still effective. Still effective. Hello, Daddy. Do what you want to... No, Danny. Not Daddy. I know, I was doing these new twins. Oh, the new twins. Yeah, they're from this movie. Well, that's what they did. They took Danny, changed it to death. Hello, Daddy. Hello, Daddy. Would you like to stay with us? Yeah, we have to say it at the same time. Yes, say it at the same time. Can you imagine me and you trying to be twins? Identical twins. Identical twins. Like Danny DeVito and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Complimental words, I guess. There's actually a movie. There's a movie called Twins. Yes. With Danny DeVito.
And Arnold Schwarzenegger. So that's a good pull, Jay. Thank you. I will play some of the trailer until it starts to freak me out. All right. That's it. That was fun. Just one note. Just the F key. That was good. Let's see. All right. No, come on. Let's go. Let's hear it. Time to do two little girls. That's it. That's it. Keep playing it. Two little girls. You're so beautiful. Stay like that forever. Sweetie, are you okay? What are you so scared about? There's something out there. Okay, that scared me really bad. You live here and you don't know about the murders. What murders? The whole family was shot. The father survived. Who did it? The focus came down on the father. Peter. Lord. Slaughterhouse. Everybody who lives in this house. Forget it. Done. I'm gonna go see it in the theater.
I like to get scared. You do? Let's make some noise in a live studio. So, David Letterman had to apologize for something that Jay does every single day. And you'll hear what it is next. I'm a pretty honest guy and I've been a pretty honest guy for many years. Woods. I'll never forget it as long as I live. It was some village in Africa. She had like 60 of those rings around her neck and just boobs hanging out. Lauren. You know what I think the scariest thing is about clowns? They don't say anything. Yeah, that's great. Even though they can talk. And Jay. Just a man trying to do the right thing. On FM 94.9. We got Mikey's show live. There's a studio audience in here. Very nice. So, I guess it was David Letterman was talking about Chris Christie. And I think that's the, he's a politician. Well, I'll let you hear him, what he said.
Paul knows this. I'm in a lot of trouble, and I need to apologize to overweight people all around the world, as a matter of fact, because I've been making fun of the governor of New Jersey because he's overweight. He's close to 400 pounds. And I've been calling him fat. And then I later said, because the audience said, you can't call him fat. And I said, no, the guy's 400 pounds. You can call him fat. And I said, and if you can't call him fat, then the terrorists have won. I'm making a lot of snarky comments. Well, like everything else, I never fully understand the repercussions of what I might be saying. To me, we're just kids horsing around. But now people are worried that I make it seem like it's okay to make fun of people's weight problems. And that, in and of itself, maybe not the worst that could happen. But if it translates to kids in school getting bullied... Well, that's where the fun ends. So I'm terribly sorry, like everything else in my life. I don't think this stuff through. If I thought this stuff through, I'd have a real job. What do you think, Woodsy? What do you think? You know, man, there's two sides of me. There's two sides. Me too.
If that was the case, then Jay would be a monster. Jay is contributing to the delinquency of our youth in this city. However, I don't think that's the case. I'm with you. How many kids are up watching late night TV anyway? That's the deal, too. And I thought that. Now, when it comes to, let's say, exactly, with Jay and all that, you guys know me. I started a campaign called Be Different because I don't want there to be bullying. I'm very against bullying. Because of Jake, I don't, you know, my son, don't want him bullied. And I started the Be Different campaign for that reason. Absolutely. At the same time, people have to realize that there is like lampooning and, you know. Poking fun. Yeah. Good natured teasing. Good natured. You know, and it's hard. I, you know, I'm a big believer in the Be Different. I was bullied growing up. I was bullied. I'm speaking at a school about. you know, in January. And I'm so excited about doing that. But at the same time, do I make fun of people? I mean, kind of, yeah. I'll make fun of people for playing Dungeons and Dragons and stuff like that or for loving Star Wars or, you know, just being goofy about anything. Same people can make fun of me about having a New York Yankees pinstripe bathrobe. And that's a true story. It's weird, though, man. It's weird because the guys in the pinstripe,
bathrobe don't... Generally, those guys can take care of themselves. And I'm okay with it most of the time. Sometimes it gets me, man, and I get snarky back. And I'm like, screw you. I think to myself, what if Jake really loves Dungeons and Dragons and I see that he loves it and stuff? I don't know, man. You gotta support it. My rule with my stand-up, now this is just me, I've never made fun of anybody that can't change it. If they can't change something about themselves, then I don't go there. I wouldn't make fun of somebody's race or the way that they look. Now, if somebody's overweight, they can usually do something about that. If they wear a pinstripe bathrobe, that's a choice. If they play Dungeons & Dragons, that's a choice. Well, my general rule of thumb is I just don't want to hurt people. I know.
I know. Well, don't be hurtful with the remarks. I just don't want to hurt people. It's different than saying, oh, so you're eating a burrito again, than saying, hey, fat ass, you are way overweight. If Letterman was like, that guy disgusts me. I mean, I can't even. How does the state of New Jersey even take that guy seriously? Yeah, that's different. Yeah, it's hard. It's hard. We get that call out a lot. I thought it would be different. Look at how fat you are. Right, like that's hideous, Jay. I don't get it a lot. I get it. I don't get it a lot. But I don't put a lot of it out there. I try to not put a lot of it out there. I don't want to. I don't want to hurt people. Right. I love to hurt people. Why? Why do you like that? I'm kidding. I don't. I don't like it at all. No, I mean, it just happens. Ella B does. Ella B does. She does. She does. She has a shirt on that says, I love to hurt people. I enjoy it. I take great joy in it. I get strength from it. Well, here's the deal. Woodsy is considering something right along these lines, you know?
He is considering disabling the comments on his Facebook for the duration of the playoffs. Yep. Wow. Because he talks about baseball, and he's a Yankee fan, and he has put out there how much he, in his words, hates the Boston Red Sox. No, they're not an issue. They're not in the playoffs. They're fishing. They're not an issue. They choke, by the way. Hang on, hang on. They beat math. Okay. Defied math. They defied it. Nobody's done that since Will Hunting. Now, here's the deal. Woods has said that he hates the Boston Red Sox, and he, I would say, goes on about it. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I'm reveling in it. Now, if you left the comments on, and let's say...
that the yankees were to lose a game yeah which they probably will they probably will uh i would say that some of those red sock fans might want to make some comments i think they would yet their dog is not in the fight i can handle it from the socks fans it doesn't hey you're talking about a team that's in the playoffs and in fact you guys didn't even make it again yeah So I don't mind those clowns. I can handle that. I got those clowns texting me every night. Yeah. You know? But it's the... I think it's the Yankee haters. Just ignore them. I can't. I'm upset. You stir them up. I hope you know. Listen, I don't go to their page and say, look what we did tonight. Did you see us win? I don't do that ass, man. But you solicit people to your page. No, you do it on the radio. What do you mean? And he puts up statuses to fire people up. And they... An instigator. Yeah, an instigator. But then when... When the Yankees are going into the playoffs, he wants to disable the comments. I just want to watch the game. You know what's going to happen? As soon as you enable them, as soon as you enable the comments, they're going to save it. Should I do it? It will drive them crazy. It's going to make them nuts. You're going to make it worse, though. It's going to make them nuts. You'll make it worse.
for when you turn the comments back on again. For the record, this is on the record, I don't think that we'll get past the first round. I honestly don't. And like I said, I'm fine with it. The Sox are playing golf today, and they're going to fire their manager. So happy birthday to me. But I don't think we'll make it past the first round. I just don't need to hear it from Joe and Escondido. I know it. I'm going to be watching the game, pal. I don't need the update. Did you see that catch? Yeah, I saw it. I'm watching. Ignore it. I can't. I'm obsessed. It's in his head. Am I a giant weenie if I turn him off? Yes. They're on. Bring your worst. Bring your worst. I'll go with you all night. You just said bring your worst. Bring your worst. Come on. I'll take it. I want it. This is some of the new switchboard. When we get back, talk about Woods and his bold statements. Much more. Make some noise in our lives. I always have to look my sexiest. That's why I'm wearing these tight size 42 pens. Part of the show. 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. I'm sorry, our time is up. I am real talented, but I'm not stupid. Lauren. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. Yes! And Jay. I light my coffee black. On FM 94.9. I wait till I get my money right. I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven. When I woke, I spent that on a necklace. I told God I'll be back in a second. Man, it's so hard not to act reckless.
Let's hear it. And here it is. Welcome back. So Jay says in his recap that he was sitting in the hot tub with his sons Finn and Jasper yesterday. They were talking about a game. that they're both playing called Minecraft. Have not heard of this. But anyway, Minecraft apparently is, they thought it was kind of humorous that you didn't know what it was, right? I know what the game is, but I don't understand it. It's this big world you walk around in. I guess it's huge. You can never find all the edges and everything of it. And I just don't get it. I don't know what the objective is for the game. It was one guy that came up with the idea.
And they've sold over a million copies of it for $10 a piece. Just one guy. Computer? Like, is it on Xbox? No, it's on your computer. And it's like, they mine, and they have places where you have to sleep, and you collect things, I guess. I wish I knew how to come up with that stuff. That's what I told Finn. I said, do that. You know, come up with one of those, and I can retire. L.O.B. yesterday was babysitting her 18-month-old niece, and they had a little moment. Where they were talking about the train going by. And L.O.B. said that you almost cried or started to cry. Oh, I cried. You cried. They weren't rolling down because I didn't want her to think I was upset. Right. That they were welling up. And then you guys sat there and you were watching train videos on YouTube. She said choo-choo for the first time. Or the first time at least that I heard. Yeah. I think that I figured out why my son Ryan called me Mike yesterday I came home. He called me dad the other day. Okay, that's very weird. Weird. Definitely weird. It's very strange. The joke is, you know, Woods made love to my wife. No, that's not the joke. That's supposed to be the joke. No, that's not the joke. Oh, just that the joke is like he thinks you're dad.
Because I'm very attentive to him. That's right. When I see him. He's around a lot. That's right. Oh, he is? I come over about 6.45. You're already asleep. Okay, weird. Definitely weird. It goes back to the first joke. First joke. It's not to make love. It's to come play with the boys. Snuggle. Snuggle. Teach him how to throw a ball. So, yeah, it was our babysitter, Claudia. I came home yesterday, and she goes, Hi, Mike. And I go, I get it. Bing. Yeah. The light bulb went off. Because nobody, I was like, nobody calls me Mike. You're like, hey, Claudia, can I have a word with you? Can you call me dad? Dad or daddy. Call me daddy. Oh, that would be weird. Oh, he asked me to call him daddy. Rebecca walks in and you walk in and Rebecca goes, why is she calling you daddy? Yeah. Are you Arnold Schwarzenegger? What's the deal? I came home yesterday and overheard you asking Claudia to call you daddy. So funny. Why did you do that? Oh, wow.
Anybody got anything going on this weekend that they would like to promote or talk about? What do you got? I will be at Dave and Buster's not watching the Charger game, but I will be watching other games and playing fun basketball games with you from Sunday 1 to 3. It's Dave and Buster's Mission Valley. It's going to be all the games, by the way. Yeah, there's a ton of games on there. There's a lot of stuff you guys can be watching. I will be at the Special Olympics Summer Games tomorrow. Where is it? It's in Rancho Bernardo. So if you're out there. Come help cheer on the athletes. Say hi to me. Very cool. Good time. End of the show on Friday. I tell you my story. And you can do with the story whatever you'd like. Hopefully somewhere in the story you can see a little bit of yourself. Hopefully you are somewhere in the story. My history is in addiction. I've been addicted to everything. specifically alcohol. I went to rehab in 2004 for an addiction to alcohol. What led to the addiction was feelings of worthlessness and feelings of inadequacy, feeling unwanted and having very low self-esteem and wanting desperately to be liked and to be loved.
I think everybody wants to be liked and everybody wants to be loved. And I had those feelings all through my 20s. But I didn't know how to express myself and I also didn't know how to give love and I didn't know how to receive love. I isolated myself when I started drinking really heavily. My parents would call and I wouldn't answer the phone. I would turn the ringer off and I would... close the blinds in my apartment. Sometimes I wouldn't answer the door. I knew I couldn't answer the door because I was drunk. If you have experienced anything like this, I want you to know that there is hope for you. And the reason I want you to know there's hope is because I didn't think there was. I didn't think there was any hope for me. I never felt like I had anything to look forward to. I certainly didn't think that the things that I have now were possible.
I never thought that I would have a beautiful wife and a great job and a home and a family and a group of friends like I have. I would have never thought that. And the reason that I have this story is so maybe you have hope that if you feel desperate, you go, it worked out for him. Maybe I need to hang in there. In 2003, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. And ever since then, he's been changing my life. It is not a ticket to happiness. In fact, I've been diagnosed with clinical depression, but I'll get through it. That's the difference. See, between then and now, I know I'll get through it, and I know I'm going to be all right. If you suffer with depression, addiction, any of that stuff, go to MikeyShow.com, and right there at the top of the page,
There's a word that says help. And if you click there, there's resources for everything. For addiction, for depression, eating disorders, all that stuff. And I've experienced all those things in my lifetime. At the end of the show, I'll play a song and the song always changes. Never really sure from week to week which one I'm going to give you. So it's always just kind of make that decision at the end of the show. Today, it's red. The song is called Not Alone. And the lyrics to the song are great. And have a great weekend. And we will see you again on Monday morning. Mikey shows up late.
