Mikey returned from the holiday break by joking about a presidential campaign for his toddler Jake and describing how he challenged a conservative radio host's claim that powerful cars could not also be fuel-efficient. The emotional center was Boston Rob's Christmas engagement to Sarissa: Rob admitted proposing in his bedroom, Ashley argued that he had selfishly ignored his friends and brothers, and Mikey countered that the decision was ultimately Rob's while interpreting Ashley's anger as hurt. New Year's comedy included Mikey's countdown being derailed by a TiVo channel change and the crew debating unexplained lights seen over Clairemont. The show also condemned a mother who helped fake an Iraq-death essay for Hannah Montana tickets, reacted to the death of police dog Striker during a Coronado Bridge chase, and replayed a woman calling 911 for a babysitter.
What happened, in order
Jake for President
Mikey's father suggested turning 15-month-old Jake's jobless-toddler photos into a mock presidential campaign, complete with a high-chair press conference and arguments about Huckabee and immigration.
Hybrid Muscle-Car Showdown
Mikey called a nationally syndicated conservative host to challenge his claim that fuel economy and horsepower cannot coexist, citing a 438-horsepower hybrid Lexus.
Boston Rob's Secret Engagement
The crew learned that Boston Rob had become engaged to Sarissa after only six months of dating, while Mikey explained that he had first heard the news indirectly from Rob's mother.
The Bedroom Proposal
Rob revealed that he proposed quietly in his bedroom on Christmas night, prompting relentless jokes from Eddie and the others about the setting and whether he got down on one knee.
Ashley Confronts Rob
Ashley called Rob selfish for getting engaged despite his friends' and brothers' concerns, while Mikey argued that Rob could consider their advice and still make his own decision.
TiVo Ruins Midnight
During Mikey's New Year's countdown, the television abruptly switched to a baby channel at the crucial moment, leaving the room stunned and scrambling for the remote after midnight had passed.
Lights over Clairemont
The show played witness audio about a curved formation of lights over San Diego that even astrophysics students could not identify, leading Mikey to suspect a secret military explanation rather than aliens.
The Last-Name Debate
Sky said she had asked her husband to consider taking her surname because his carried little family significance, and Mikey fiercely insisted that his existing name was still part of who he was.
The Fake Iraq Essay
A Texas mother helped her six-year-old falsely claim that her father died in Iraq to win Hannah Montana tickets, then defended the lie by saying the contest never required a true story.
Striker and the Bridge Jumper
A suspected drunk driver fleeing police grabbed police dog Striker and jumped from the Coronado Bridge, surviving with serious injuries while the dog died.
Nanny 911 Call
The hosts replayed a Wisconsin woman's bewildering emergency call in which she insisted that 911 should provide her with a babysitter and some friends.

Just like that, we're back. Welcome back. It's 6-0-6. Even though the writer's strike continues, late-night talk shows are returning tonight. As the Chargers prepare to take on Tennessee in their first-round playoff game this Sunday, they reward general manager A.J. Smith with a five-year extension. Oh, wow. Well, welcome back. 6-0-6. It's 2008 now. January 2nd. And I feel fresh. I feel refreshed. Invigorated. It's exactly what the doctor ordered. Right at the end of the year, this is what I do. I think of the year at the end of it when we get there. I always think of it like a book. And you're like, at the end of the book, you read all the chapters. There's 12 chapters and you've read them all. You're right at the end of the book and so it feels kind of weird. You get a little nostalgic. You get a little this. You feel a little bit like this. You feel a little bit like that.
And so then when it's the new year, you know, I feel all invigorated. Like, okay, I got some rest and, you know, I finished that book. Let's start a new book and the whole deal. That book was terrible, by the way. The book for me, hey, I got to halfway agree with Shawnee. The book for me in 07 was challenging. I had challenges in 07. 05, 06 were like the greatest years ever. 05 was great. I got married. It was a great book. Good read. 06 had a little kid. My son Jake. 07 had challenges. There was stuff in 07. So my dad had a heart attack on the 4th of July. And there was stuff going on. But now, looking forward, I'm like, yeah, this is going to be good. I'm going to figure this sucker out. And the Chargers are going to the playoffs. Padres signed Mark Pryor. And if he ever plays, maybe he'll be good. And all kinds of stuff. You know? So I'm ready to go.
570-1053 is the phone number. Give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. Open phones, whatever you want. It's up to you. You can ask questions. You can make comments. Whatever. Yesterday was one of the days where I felt like I got legitimate rest. During a lot of the break, I had stuff going on pretty much every day. I had something to do almost every day. And then yesterday, I took the Union Tribune, and I was laying in bed reading the Tribune, and I thought, you know, this is good. This is relaxing right now. I was reading the sports page, which for me is like eating cookies. You know, it's not the stuff that's good for you. It's just the, I love it. It tastes so good. Lifestyle and sports for me is like eating cookies. It tastes delicious. It's not necessarily feeding me, giving me vitamins and minerals, but I love it. It tastes good. And I always take seconds.
And so I did a lot of that yesterday. And today, my wife is embarking on this weight loss and personal stuff. And I'm like, good for you, kid. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's been gearing up. Oh, wow. So she's going to go for it. Cool. Jake's doing good. His hair is real long. I'm not sure how long Rebecca's going to keep growing it, but that's kind of the style right now. Like, think of an alternative band. Or think of... Riggins. Think of Riggins. Yeah. Well, she's not going for the Riggins look. It's Sebastian Bach. No, she's not going for the Sebastian Bach look. She's going for the, like, Josh Duhamel look. That's what she wants. Long and then with gel in it. Kind of swept forward kind of thing. For all the ladies? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. For the ladies. And my dad made a suggestion yesterday that I think I might do. I'm thinking about it.
Because it sounded, I couldn't believe my dad had this idea. And it sounded really funny to me. You guys got the email that I sent you about Jake needing to get a job, right? Yeah. I took a picture of Jake, my son, who's 15 months old, laying on the floor. He's just spread eagle laying on the floor watching TV. And I sent the picture to everybody. And I said, I told him he needs to get a job. And I said that he told me he's getting applications. And so my dad thought that was really funny. And my dad said, you should make one of those YouTube web space places for him. I swear he said it. And I go, you YouTubed it? I said, you know, that's where you watch the videos. You mean MySpace? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, make him a website and say that he's running for president. And I said, that's funny. I said, that's really funny. I said, I, you know, I might do that. Oh my gosh. That'd be really fun. That's hilarious.
Have him be a, like, serious candidate. The thing that I think is funny, though, about Jake is that, and I didn't send you guys this one, but I took a picture of him sitting in his high chair, and I wrote an email that I just sent to my dad, and it said that he was announcing, he was holding a press conference at the podium that also served us as high chair, and that he was announcing to reporters that he, planned his intention as filing as a Democrat. And that I was really upset about it and that he said, you know, it's about socio and economical issues and, you know, and that reporters asked him, well, what do you think about your dad supporting Mike Huckabee? And he said, you know, I think Huckabee's stuff on immigration speaks for itself. Dad doesn't get it. And it was just, you know, so my dad said, yeah, that could be funny to do. So I'm thinking about doing that. Let's introduce everybody on the show. We'll take your phone calls. Everybody, like, man, do we have stuff to tell you. Everybody was doing stuff. Like, you know with seven people, crazy things happen. And they do. Crazy things. So let's get into it. 5701053. The seven people on the show are myself. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 37. I have a shaved head. I'm careful to phrase it shaved. I prefer to say I shave my head, which I do. An easier way to say it is I'm bald.
So what happened? We went into this break when you were growing it out. It looked hideous. It looked hideous. Why do you say that? Now were you expecting it to grow in and look like Josh DeMille? Betty, I had no idea. It had been so many years since I had had hair, I didn't really know what to expect. But isn't that why you shaved it in the first place? Yeah, because I wanted to see. Well, no, you shaved it because you thought it looked hideous. Right. You hated your hair. Oh, yeah, yes, yes, absolutely, yeah. Why did I shave in the first place years ago? Yes. Oh, absolutely, it was hideous. So maybe you thought since giving it some time off from growing, it would, like, grow in full? I'll tell you what I thought. I'll tell you what I thought. I honestly thought to myself, foolishly, maybe something's changed. Right, yeah. You know, I wanted it to believe that maybe something had changed and that if it regrew, You know, I thought to myself, okay, so somebody poured bleach on the lawn. But it's been so many years since that bleach was poured on that lawn. When the lawn comes back, that's going to be beautiful, green, you know, St. August. Yeah, lush. But it was radioactive bleach, Mike. Pretty much, yeah. It was radioactive bleach. 10,000 years. Mm-hmm. And so I said, it's coming off. I shaved it off again. Yeah.
Tough love it is. Tough love. We had the neighbors over the house. They got a three-year-old, and we were sitting there at dinner, and halfway through dinner, the three-year-old said... Oh, man, that's funny. That's funny. That's pretty good. Eddie is our producer. Eddie's our sports guy. He's 34 years of age. He's married. He's married. He's got a beautiful wife named Debra. Sky is our news girl. She is... 30 years old now, with naturally curly hair and a husband she calls Bunny Boo. Love him. Sean is our sound effects guy. He is also 37, and he'll be 38 on April Fool's Day. Whoa. Wow. What a crazy birthday. It is. What are the chances? Yeah, every year. April 1st.
I mean, of all people on the show, too, for Sean. I know, April Fool's. Because he's so weird. Hey, Sean, that's probably a new one, too, huh? Weird. Then you got Ashley. She is 24 years old, and she is your typical Southern California girl. She's got blonde hair, tan skin, all the time. I mean, here we are. It's January 2nd. Her skin still has a very... Is it because her birthday is Martin Luther King Day? It could be. I think it could be. My birthday's not. It could be. Summer. My birthday's in the summer, maybe. So the pigmentation. Oh. So the pigmentation. Okay. Hey, Ashley, before we went to break, you were talking about considering taking the hair darker. Is this still a consideration? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You're still considering. Yeah, no, I went back in and, like, talked to my hairdresser because it's just a really drastic change. I've been blonde since I was, like, 14, except for that one period of my life when I was fat and, like, depressed, you know? And, like, I had dark hair, but it was, like, black, like, red, like, black cherry red highlights, you know, or whatever. And I was fat. So that just literally, like, screwed my whole look off. I'm fat.
I was 19. 18, 19. Yeah. How much? How much are we talking? How much are we talking? Oh, I was like probably 170. No. 165. Come on. I showed the picture on New Year's Eve. I had my friend over. Okay. I had Kaylee over, Rob. And she is super blunt. And she had never seen my fat pictures. I was telling her how I might dye my hair brown. So she wanted to see. So I showed her my brown haired pictures when I was fat. And she had a couple glasses of champagne. And she was like, oh my God, you're a hat. Wow. Like, completely. I heard fat and depressed is in for 08. So anyways, yeah, I think I'm going to do it next time I go in. Oh, wow, Ashley. You just hit your headphones and they flew off your head. Next time I go in. Boston Rob. Rob. He's 25 years old. That's right. Opposite of fat. How old is he? He's 25. Okay. And later on, we're going to tell you all about Boston Rob's vacation. It was very eventful. It was awesome. And Boston Rob is wearing a New York Yankees hat. Yeah, he's a New Pro 8. He's a Yankee fan. He's a Yankee hater. Well, now that the Red Sox... It doesn't say Yankee hater. Does it say Yankee hater? Yeah, on the side it does. It's so tiny where it's written, you can't see it. Well, it's got the Yankee logo, the NY Yankee logo on it. A bunch of jerks.
You know it's not a Yankee. Oh, hi. You're so teeny. But, Rob, it's got the Yankee logo on it. No, it doesn't. It's a Y-H. Oh, it is? Oh, yeah. Is it really an H? You can't tell? Dude, I swear to you. You're getting old then. Yeah, it's getting mad. Rob, I swear to you. I'm telling you. It looks like a Yankee set. Eddie, is he doing it better? Is it really shaped differently? Because I swear it looks like the regular. Very subtly. Very subtle. Really? You're not supposed to be able to tell. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. You can. But I don't. Why would you want that? It's a Yankee hat. Why would you want to look anything like the Yankees? I don't get it. I had no idea it was an H. Anyway. Okay. Boston Rob. Or New York Rob. Whatever you are. Bronx Rob. Bronx Rob. Welcome back. Manhattan Rob. That's right. The new evil empire. That's right. There he is. And Zeth is the seventh person on the show. He's 22 years old. Kid got a flat tire again over the brake. I mean, he just... Man. That level blues. Never heard of it. That kid is constantly, constantly getting himself into trouble with that car. I would get a bike at this point. Just get a bike. Rickshaw. 5701053 is the number. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, Mikey Show. Happy New Year. Happy New Year.
Hey, I want to say congratulations to Boston Rob for the Patriots, 16-0. He's answering phone calls, but I'm sure that he appreciates that. Yeah, I heard it. Thank you. Feels good. I also want to say Chuck Liddell is back. Oh, yeah, buddy. Talk about it. I didn't see it, but Eddie said it was fantastic. One of the greatest fights I've ever seen in my life. So awesome. No question about it. So awesome. Eddie. Just back and forth slugging each other? It was like a Rocky movie. The two guys just decided, you know what? Who cares about anything else but let's just stand in the middle of the ring and punch each other in the face. See what happens. Did you watch it on TiVo? Well, yeah. I was flying back Saturday night and so I didn't get to see it until the next day. And so I come in here Sunday to do the pregame show and I didn't know anything about it. I avoided the internet. I didn't want to know nothing. We were there for like an hour and Lou Bush stands up and he goes, dude, Chuck Liddell. And I go, shut up. Don't say anything. I go, I haven't watched it yet. I have a TV. As soon as I watch all the football today, I'm looking forward to it. Please don't ruin it for me. Okay, no problem.
You've got to know Eddie's personality, too. He's not joking. Not at all. You know how some people might say that, but they're kind of tongue-in-cheek. They're like, don't tell me, but hey, maybe it's kind of cute if you did. Eddie, you know he's not joking. Please. I begged him. Please. Do not spoil this for me. So, like, a half hour goes by, and he decides to go, dude, let me just tell you one thing. No. And I go, no, Lou. I go, Lou, please. I don't care. I don't want to. He goes, it won't ruin anything. Oh, here we go. I go, fine. What? And he goes, dude, it is three rounds of the best action you'll ever see. And I go, so it goes the distance? You idiot. Because they're three rounds. No, thanks, dude. I didn't want to. He couldn't help himself. He had to ruin it. Of course. I don't understand. I was so pissed, I bet. P1 Leonidas is on the line. Leonidas, how are you? Good morning. Good morning. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. say that every time you guys are gone, it is the longest day of my life. Oh, wow. Those mornings are long. I've been listening to you since day one, even when you were in Fremont, or I'm sorry, Milpitas. That's right. That's right. But San Jose, I actually lived in Milpitas. Yeah, actually, I lived in the armpit I like to call Fremont, and that sucked. Yeah, that's bad, too. That whole area is just a toilet. Did I mention that?
Start. Not all areas. Go ahead. All areas. Positive in 08. Positive in 08. Positive in 08. Our new slogan. Leonidas, happy new year to you. Happy new year. I'm looking forward to all the greatest hits you guys are going to have at the end of the year. Thank you. Another 28-hour show. Oh, hey, you're getting ahead yourself, guy. Hey, come on. One day at a time. Thank you very much. Oh, no. I thought you were done. I hung up because I thought you were done. Well said. No more Christmas music at our house is allowed. The wife said, that's it. That's all I did yesterday. We put all of our Christmas stuff away yesterday. Oh, what a nightmare. I was real lucky. I came home, and the tree was... Everything was off of it, and it was laying on the floor, so she did all the work. Wow. You're lucky. Nice. You had to take it down. It's still worth it for you. And then, you know, we've got to put everything in our attic. Yeah. And so, you know, dragging all those big boxes up. Oh, that was a nightmare. Is it worth it? It is. But, you know, when I was putting it away, I'm like, did I...
I didn't even get to enjoy it that much. It's like, you know, it was there a month, but, I mean, that's a lot of work for a month of stuff. Yeah. And we got, like, a ton more now. And I'm like, so we had to get more boxes. And I'm like, oh, next year's going to be crazy. Yeah, yeah. P1, Big John's on the line. Good morning, Mike. Good morning. I got engaged over New Year's Eve. I went to Robbins Brothers. Get out of here. How about that? They treat you nice? What's that again? Did they treat you nice? Dude, they were the best ever. I went in there on Friday, December 28th, I think it was, not really knowing what I wanted as a ring and not really knowing exactly how I wanted to do the whole day and the whole evening. The only thing I knew is I wanted to propose to her on Sunset Cliffs Beach at midnight. And I went and I saw Michael. Michael's guy there hooked me up. He walked me through the whole thing.
show me some solitaires individually by themselves, and show me separate rings and bands and stuff, and finally settle down on what I wanted. And then he hooked me up with the Perfect Proposals people, this lady named Steph. And we talked things out and went through a bunch of different things about me and her and how we met and stuff that we like to do. So cool. And we decided to go see P.S. I Love You. Oh, my goodness. So cute. Wow. You went to see the movie P.S. I Love You? We went to see P.S. I Love You. Oh, look at you. And after that, we went to P.S. Chang's for dinner. That's good. Rented balls of fury. That's right. Stop it. Look at you. How old are you? I'm 29. How old is she? 24. Good for you. Good for you. Young lady. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Congratulations to you, man. That's awesome. I wish you the best. Thank you. Thank you. We're planning on doing a pretty short engagement, like a few months. It's going to be worth it. All right, brother. That's cool. All right, thank you guys. Have a great New Year. Great New Year, and I can't wait to hear the best of the Michael show later. Thank you, man. All right, bye-bye. We'll see you. So where do we begin? We have so much stuff to tell you. Where do we begin? I called into a nationally syndicated radio show over the break. You can't, like, stay away. On politics. I couldn't.
No, I know you can't. I couldn't. You love radio so much. I love it. That's so cool. I was so ready to be on vacation. Right? I was so ready to be on vacation, and I really did get some needed rest and everything, but I love this. I love this microphone. I love you. Okay. You're getting weird now, dude. I love you, you little thing. Stop it. You little microphone that I can talk into you, and that noise that has resonated goes to the cars, and I hear. I love you so much. I love you, radio. I love you, radio. I love being on it. What are you doing right now? I wanted to tell you, radio, this forever. And now I feel that after 37 years, it's time for me to finally pull you aside, take you to Robbinsboro, sit you down, and let you know. My feelings for you, radio, are so strong. I miss you when I'm gone from you. Beautiful.
Beautiful bride. Yes. P.S. I love you. Are you going to take radio to Sunset Cliffs? That's right. Hold her hand and say I love you on Sunset Cliffs. Romantic. So I don't think it would be any surprise. I'm listening to a conservative talk show. Oh, that's nuts. I'm listening to a conservative talk show and the guy on the radio says, you know, these liberals want to take away your rights. Well, let me tell you something. I want to be able to drive whatever I want to be able to drive. And I want to be able to have my muscle car. And I want to be able to have horsepower if I want it. And the liberals want to take it away from you with this new stuff that they're doing. Your car has to get 30-some miles a gallon by 2020. And he's saying this stuff. And he goes, and you can't have both.
And I went, oh, that's not true. So he got you on two levels. Yeah. He upset the car guy in you and the political guy in you. Yeah, well, he's a political guy, and that upset me. Yeah. And so I couldn't help myself. Nice. I called in, and he goes, let's go to Mike in San Diego. Mike. This is exactly how he says it. Mike, tell me about this hybrid muscle car. What is this hybrid muscle car? I go, well, first of all, I said, I feel like I just walked into a bar and you're drunk and you want to fight. I don't want to fight. I go, I've never heard you or your show. I don't want to fight with you. I'm just calling to tell you there's something called a Lexus LS. It's 438 horsepower. Wow. Oh, that host had no idea what you were getting into. And he goes, that's not the point. And I go, that's exactly what you, that's your point. That's what you just said. I said, that's what you said. But there is. I said, listen, I got a friend. I was talking about you, Sky. I go, I got a friend who used to talk about this hybrid stuff all the time. I told her she was a kook. And I said that as soon as a car came out that had plenty of horsepower that was hybrid, I would drive it. And I would. It's fine with me.
Listen, if they make a sports car that'll give you all the horsepower and looks really cool, and I'm not kidding, I do want it to sound a certain way. They've got to figure out how to make it sound a certain way. But I love cars. You don't want to hit the gas and have it silent? No, I don't want that. It takes away the experience. It does take away the experience. Bubbles come out of the gas tank. And it's dangerous for blind people as well. Nah, it's true. Mike's concerned about it. That's what I'm most concerned about, if we're being honest. So did he agree with you, or did he get mad at you, or what happened? No, he was in this whole thing about how global warming is a lie, and it's BS, okay? And in the Republican Party right now, there's only two candidates that don't believe that. And that is Huckabee and McCain. All the other candidates believe global warming is BS, is phony. And there's very compelling evidence of both. You can find stuff on the Internet that will tell you that it doesn't exist. You can find stuff on the Internet that will tell you that it does. And so it's up to you to decide whether or not it exists. Me, personally, I'm not really 100% sure either way, but I'll say this. Why don't we just do something? Just be safe. As long as it doesn't, you know, why don't we take care of it?
And then we don't have to worry about it. That's my personal thought on it. Everybody's different. I want to get into so much stuff, but we have to take a break, and I don't want to. I want to just stay on the interesting break. Eddie's one of my best friends since we were kids. He said you had a stranger over for Christmas. Well, yeah, you know how we were talking about that right before we left? Yeah. You know, people showing up that you don't really know, and they kind of ruin your good times. Right. It actually happened to me. Who was it? It was a friend of my cousin. And it wasn't really his fault. I guess my cousin called and said, Hey, I think we're going to play poker tonight after we do our family Christmas and open all our gifts and stuff. So you should come over around this time. Well, I mean, we were smack dab still in the middle of our Christmas. And we're doing our thing where we do the Secret Palace thing. We're doing our poems and all these goofy things that we're doing.
And this guy shows up, and I'm like, oh. This is awkward and weird. He's privy to it all. He's just standing there. It's so weird. He's like a voyeur observing. Yeah, I hated it. I was like, get out of here. You can't know our Christmas things here. You're not allowed here. Who are you? What's the password? You're not welcome. Some people said that they saw UFOs in San Diego on New Year's Eve becoming New Year's Night. All right. And we have some audio. We actually have audio of the video because somebody took video of it. Where did this happen? Well, where the video is taken is from the Claremont area. Did you see it, Skye? Yes, I did watch the video. Do you believe that you're looking at UFOs? I believe there was something very interesting going on. That does not answer my question. Hey, I'm just going to say it's something strange that didn't look like a star, something I've never seen up there before. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen the video.
But I hear it's compelling. Oh, yeah. It's weird. So we will play you the actual audio from the video shoot. You'll hear from a college student describing what he's looking at. This just happened. And we'll get into everything that happened. I mean, stuff happened. Today on the show, Sean Merriman will be on. Yes. Talking about the playoffs, where he's going back to playoffs. He's going back to play Tennessee. Well, we're here in San Diego. He's going to play Tennessee again. Same team where all the controversy came from, where he said Jeff Fisher put a hit out on him. So that's happening this weekend. That's crazy. We're going to play Lyrical Gangsta, which is if you know lyrics to songs, this is really fun. Eddie's going to fill you in on what happened with some of the bowl games, some big bowl games, the Cotton Bowl, the Outback Bowl, the Gator Bowl, the Capital One Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Mikey Bowl.
The cereal bowl, dog bowl took place over the weekend. The dog bowl's a good one. And so we'll get into all of that. And the toilet bowl is tonight at 7.30 Eastern. So you want to T-Boat that. So it's all coming up. We're going to talk about all of that. And Sean TV is back. I can only imagine what. I can only imagine what Sean must have been watching. Sean watches weird shows we'd never heard of. And he tells us about them, plays a little audio from them. So we'll do that. And P1 Trivia, so somebody can come hang out in here on Friday. It's not Monday, you guys. Wait. Huh? I thought it was Monday. It's not Monday, you guys. I thought it was Monday. Can you believe it? It's Wednesday. Friday's a couple of days away. Whoa. Yeah! So we've got to find somebody that can, you know, answer some Mikey Show questions and then come hang out with us in two days. And we're going to recap the craziest audio you heard in 07. I mean, crazy stuff that we played that happened in Dog the Bounty Hunter. Just all the weird stuff. I'm saying what he said. So we'll do that. All of it. So it's all coming up on the Mikey Show. And Brian Regan's in the stand-up spotlight. The Mikey Show stand-up spotlight on 5-3. No one ever seems to call them on. I'm sorry.
Not taking questions today. Oh, okay. Wait, wait, wait. Oh, that's a question. Oh, I think you're not taking questions. I wish I'd have known that was an option when I was a kid in school. Brian, how do you find the square root of a fraction? I'm sorry. Not taking questions today. Life is a lot easier when you just stop taking questions. Where were you last night, honey? I'm not taking questions today. This is the Mikey Show. So you're the guy who pooped in my tuba. Hey, welcome back. It's the Mikey Show back in the studio live after taking a couple, a couple, a week off. We had a week off to celebrate the holidays with our family. And now we're back. It's nice to be back. It is 6.39. Today's the last full day of campaigning for candidates before Iowa's caucuses. It was familiar results for USC as they beat Illinois 49-17 in the Rose Bowl yesterday. I wonder what's going to happen. What caucus is going on tomorrow? Being our president. How weird is it to think that somebody's going to be new that's not going to be the same guy anymore? It's kind of freaky. Thinking the transition may be kind of weird. All kinds of weird stuff happened. We were gone. That lady, the former prime minister.
Pakistan got shot in the neck and killed, assassinated. I said to my wife, I go, those Pakistanis, they must think we're really stupid. Like, they must think America is really stupid. And I think they think that, you know, because they don't tell their people anything. They came out the day after she was shot in the neck. And they go, she wasn't assassinated. Everybody. I know everyone thinks that she, this is the Pakistanis. She was not assassinated. To America and the Western world and everyone who thinks that she was assassinated, she was not assassinated. As you know, when she died, she was sticking her head out of the top of the car, okay? And then when the gunshots go off, she was scared and tried to duck into the car and hit her head on the sunroof. That's a true statement.
I'm not making that up. But there's video showing gunfire going directly at her car. Yes, she was scared. When the guns go off, she ducked. Guns were shooting at her. Yeah, yeah, but luckily, you know, Guy Badshot, he did not hit her. He did not hit her with guns. So she died of sunroof injuries? She died of massive head trauma to the head of hitting the sunroof. That sounds wrong. But the current president, I mean, and their political parties have clashed and there's been death threats. Yeah, definitely, for sure. But he was watching the Sugar Bowl. At the time, it had nothing to do with anything. He did nothing to do with this. He's watching the Sugar Bowl. Can you believe they say that? It was a head injury that hurt him. Idiot. Well, P1s, if you are new to the Mikey Show, if you're new to the Mikey Show, you've never listened before, there are seven of us. Myself, Eddie, Sky, Sean, Ashley, Boston, Rob, and Zeth. There's seven of us here on the show. And some voices you hear more than others. Some you never hear, like Zeth. He never talks. Not even once. Rob, the guy barely ever talks.
And Sean will interject from time to time, but Sean doesn't talk as much. The voices you hear the most are obviously you hear me the most, and you'll hear Eddie and Sky, and Ashley every once in a while will say, I'm smart. She'll pipe up and she'll say that. And so you'll hear her cute little voice a lot. You're smart. This Boston Rob, though, you don't hear him very much, but I've got to tell you, he's a really funny person. Yeah, it's when he talks. It's when he talks. He's very funny. Yeah. Now. I'm going to tell you that that Boston Rob is like family to us. He's like family to us. And those of you that are just listening, I just want you to know that. Now, those of you that listen on a regular basis, you P1s, sit down. Oh, no. Yes. I'm talking to all you Hall of Famer P1s and all of you people that listen regularly, have never called into the show, but you listen to us every day, and you're on the freeway right now, and you know us well, and you hear me describing Boston Rob, and you're like, yeah, yeah, yeah, get to it. I know who he is. He got engaged while we were gone. Wait. Wait, what? He got engaged to be married when we were gone. Yeah. Sean, you hearing this for the first time? Sorry, what?
Yeah, Sean. Are you, or did anybody text or call Sean about it? No, I had no idea. Yeah, I didn't call you. What? So let's discuss. First, let's discuss how I found out. Well, can I get my breath first? Yeah, I know it. To clarify, how long has he been with his girlfriend? That's a good question, Ash. Six months. Didn't you just have your, like, five-month anniversary? Five and a half months? You guys have been dating for six months, right? I think it's rounding up. All right, all right. Six months. Okay, five to six months he's been dating her. Okay, okay. Five months was a month ago. Now, let me ask you a question. Why is she coming at me all big already? Listen, I don't know. Everybody relax. But let's get some ground rules here. Let's get some ground rules here. Let's get some ground rules here, okay? Please. First of all. Yeah. This is a safe place. Thank you. Is it? It's a safe place. It's a safe place. That didn't sound like a safe place. Hang on. Before you get all riled up over there, Robbie, we're on your side. Hang on a minute. Wait. We're your friends. Yes. Are we? Yes. Yes, Eddie. We are? Best friends. Okay, wait. Let's give some context. So five to six months is how long they've been dating. How long have you actually known...
Your fiance, Sarissa. Oh, let's see. Two years now? You've known her for two years. But you guys started dating about five to six months ago. Six months ago. Six months ago. Six months. Listen, six months. It's on the record. It makes a big difference, the five and the six. You guys, half a year we're talking about here. It's on the record. It's a safe place, right? It's a safe place. Hey, we put it on the board, Rob. It's six months. It's on the board. Sure. Now, this is how I found out. I'm in my son's room playing Duck Hunt on the Wii. Like usual. I'm in my son's room. I'm playing Ultimate Duck Hunt on the Wii, which I'm good at. That's not even a question. I'm good at it. I just want you to know. So I'm in there. Shoot you. Got you, you SOB. How about you over there? And my wife.
pops in, and she starts to talk to me, which I'm immediately put off by. I'm playing Ultimate Duck Hunt. You have to concentrate. I got to concentrate on these. Dick Cheney shows up. That's right. Don't shoot there. I got you. And my wife says, and this made it even worse. Like, she's not even doing a buildup. Like, she's not even like, babe. Right. Holy cow. She comes in and she goes, guess who I just got an email from? And I go, and I'm not looking at her. I'm shooting ducks. Yeah. I go, who? Bang, bang, bang, who? Bang, bang. She goes, Adeline. And I bang, bang, bang. And I could barely, like, I could almost give two cares. Like, okay, whatever. Adeline is Boston Rob's mother. And she goes, yeah.
Rob and Sarissa got engaged. And I go, okay, pause. I pause the game. And I just look at her. I just look at her. I'm just looking at her. And she goes, yeah, yeah. And I'm thinking in my head, I'm thinking, this is how I'm finding out that one of the most important people in my life This is how I'm finding out one of the most important people in my life got engaged. And I'll tell you genuinely what I felt. I instantly felt guilty. I thought, what have I done? What have I done that has made him feel this way? That he can't shoot me an email or call me. Come over to the house. What is it that I have done that has made him fit? And I think you heard a little bit of it. He said, are you sure? Is this a place? He's worried that he's going to get attacked. And so I went, oh, man. So I call him, and he goes, hello? The way he answers that phone. It doesn't matter. Whenever you call him. Accurate. And I go, hey, dude, it's Mikey. Listen.
I just want to say I'm really sorry. For what? I've obviously done something to make you feel that I'm not safe and you can't tell me that you're engaged. Oh, yeah, dude. Yeah. I'm engaged. And I was going to tell you about it, you know, when we got back from the break. Well, too late. Rebecca already told me. My wife, Rebecca, already told me. And Rob says, well, you know, I figured that you and Eddie was going to give me the business and everybody was going to give me the business. And so I figured I'd just wait till we get back. And I said, oh boy. And I'm thinking to myself, well, either way, you know, you either get it now or later. What's the difference? Rather it later. But my honest, here's my honest opinion about it. My honest opinion about it is, this is just my thoughts. Everybody's going to have real different thoughts here. Some people may have the exact same thoughts. These are mine. Personally, if I would have heard this two years ago, I would have said, I mean, you're right. You might as well fill out the divorce papers now, I would have said. Because he was a wreck. He was a complete wreck. He was drinking. He was irresponsible. He was a ladies' man. He was a kid. He was a punk kid. And today...
I honestly don't feel that he's a punk kid anymore. I think that he's grown tremendously. I think that he's more responsible. Some areas of his life he's still a little irresponsible, but I think he's become more responsible. I think he's grown up a bit. But the main reason that I'm like, okay, the main reason is her. I've met her. I've met Sarissa. And the girl that he's marrying, top of the line. She's intelligent. She has got her act together. She's got her head on straight. This is what I know about her. I mean, I don't know her very well, but from what I know about her, beautiful girl, she seems to have it all. And so he's not marrying somebody that's irresponsible. He's not marrying somebody. That's the other thing. If I knew her, And the girl that he was marrying was like a party animal that didn't really know what direction she was going in life. And she was kind of floundering herself. And I'd be worried. I'm still worried. The reason that I'm worried is because they're both young. How old is Sarissa? 26. So she's older than you. Yeah. So he's 25. She's 26. And I don't believe anybody should get married before 55. Never old enough. You're never old enough. Marriage.
So it'd give you some issues, you know. This guy wrote me an email one time. He said, Mikey, take everything that you have issues with your wife about and multiply them times ten. That's what happens in marriage. He was right. He was right about that. But you've got to go, well, the good better than the bad and all that and all that and all that. I heard me say. But I support him. Whatever. You're going to get married. You know, you know you're a big boy. You know the deal. And I think ultimately that you're very young and, you know, why rush? It's up to you and Mazel Tov, or whatever they say when you're saying, have at. I want to get Sky's opinion. I want to get Eddie's opinion. I want to get everybody's opinion. I actually want to hear everybody on this show's thoughts. Everybody. I want to hear how he actually did it. What should we do, Eddie, for his time? Well, we can keep going. We can? Okay. Rob, how'd you do it? It was Christmas Day night, and it was...
Me and her had kind of discussed this leading up to it. So she pretty much knew it was coming, and it was just real quiet, just in my room, just me and her, when, you know, I asked her, and her mother came up. You proposed in your bedroom? Yeah. Okay. On Christmas Day? Yeah. Christmas, okay. Like, what time of day is it? It was... Eddie, what are you laughing at? Eddie, what are you laughing at? I want to hear everything. Now, that's a tender moment. Eddie, why are you laughing at me? Is this not a safe place? Why is it a safe place? Rob, it's a safe place. Why is he laughing and making me feel like a jerk? He's not. He's not. You're making me feel like a jerk. You're reading into it. You're reading into it. You're not even near him. You didn't tickle him. I have a tickle wand. There's no such thing as a tickle wand. I'm sorry. Go ahead. You're on your beanbag. Go ahead. It's a love sack. You jerk. Hey, Rob. This isn't a safe place. Try not to analyze. Try not to analyze his laugh. I'm reading into it. Don't read into it or you'll drive yourself crazy. He's a grown man. Was the bathroom occupied? There were a bunch of people in the house. Somebody on the porch? I want to hear. We went out there after to smoke a butt. Please. I want to know how it went down.
Did you get on the knee? Now all the romance is lost. No, it's not. I just said to us pie to what? Did you sit on the bed or did you get down on a knee? Did you sit on the bed or did you get down on a knee? Don't shut down. Don't shut down. Stop. I'm fighting to stay with you. You can do it. You can do it. Except for Mike. Okay, wait. Come on now. You haven't even heard any one of us talk yet. Nobody's talked yet. All I heard was giggling from you. Listen, let's not. I'll turn his mic off. Now stop it, Rob. You're in the bedroom. Do you sit on the bed or do you get on one knee? I'm sitting next to her. Oh, you're both sitting on the bed? Yeah. Did she know this was coming? Yes. Okay, so she was just wondering. I wonder when we'll go to the bedroom. Yeah. Are we about to make out right now? Yeah. What did that elicit laughter? Why is everybody... I don't know. Is that a joke? She knew, so she's going, you know, at some point he's going to take me into the romantic bedroom and ask me to marry him. Okay, so... What's that?
Nothing. You go in there. You're both sitting there. And you say. What do you say? You say. Anything I say you guys are going to laugh at. Well, listen. Only because it's romantic coming from a guy with an accent. I don't know about that. But you say. It's the accent. Listen. Give me the paraphrase. Give me the paraphrase. Give me the short version of basically what you say to her. Basically, I just asked her if she'd be my lady forever, but that's just basically. Eddie, take your hand off your mouth to stifle a laugh. It's not funny. You know this is... And she says yes, right? And then do you go out and tell everybody... Stop it, Rob. Stop it. No, I feel stupid. It's a romantic... Top of the Empire State Building. I'm sorry. Hey, listen. I guess you can say things are getting pretty serious. Eddie, all he could afford was his bedroom. So just give him a break. Yeah, Eddie. Very similar things to what I said. When you suggested where he should ask somebody to get married. Well, you know, and then the saying of, will you be my lady forever? Right. I was paraphrasing. He's paraphrasing. So, okay. So she says yes. Romantic. Do you immediately guys go out and start making the announcement to everybody in the house? No.
No, you waited to tell people. Yeah, I waited. When did you tell everyone? I told my mom, well, her mother came over. Her mother came over? After that, a little after that. We were planning for her mom and my mom to meet and all that. We had like a nice little... So did they meet and then you told them together? No, her mom found out right away and we waited to tell my mom till after. Till after what? Till after the mother had, her mother had heard. Yeah. Okay, and then she came over, your mom came over to the house and you said, hey, here's the deal. Sarissa's mother came to my house. Okay. And you told her. Yeah. And then your mother came over to the house. Or she was already there. Yeah, my mom stayed with me. Got it, got it, got it. And so then after the mother-in-law's told, you tell mom. Everybody's happy, right? Oh, my mom's ecstatic about this. Brothers. How did the brothers find out? My brothers were kind of the only people that knew about it the whole time along. And my brothers are both...
My youngest brother, Al, is not a happy camper because he's just hitting that party stage where he wants me to be his running mate and all that. But love sometimes is a lot... Conquers all, Mike. Conquers all, and it's bigger than the partying. Yeah, well, listen. So, your brother's having a hard time with the fact that he needs to find a new running partner for the partying. But that's not true. How's that not true? Well, you don't really, like... go out and he's not even 21. No, but he's brought this up to me many times. That when he turns 21, he wants to be able to experience that with his brother. Gabe has been kind of fine with whatever I've run by him, right? Al is the one that's having a different... But you're saying the reason why is because you don't... Because he's not going to have a running mate to go drinking with? That's the reason why he's mad you're getting engaged? No, I'm not saying that's... the reason that I'm not going to be able to go out and drink with him. I'm saying he's thinking this is the end of partying for me. That's why he's mad. Why? Why? Continue on with your truthful story. I'm just trying to change the mood. Well, this went well. There are feelings. So we find out, I don't even know when.
I don't remember when I found out what day it was. Do you, Eddie? It was the next day. Yeah, it was the day after Christmas. The day after. Because when you called me. Through a text message for me. Oh, well, for me, 10 minutes ago. Oh, wow. I texted you. You did not text me. I have it on my phone. I sent it with Eddie's and Zeth's. He sent a mass text. Ashley, how did you find out? Through a friend. Come on. He didn't text you? I found out through Gabe's girlfriend, Kaylee. Who's my friend. He didn't text you. What, him? Yeah, Rob. No, because then I immediately, right when I found out, I immediately called him. See, I was trying to not, like, my mom, my brothers, and her family was all I wanted to know. Uh-huh. Yeah. I wanted to tell you guys when I got back. Right. Tell you guys in person. Right. But then when you called me, I was like, well, I don't know how he's finding out. And she's texting me, like, right after you called me. You texted Ash? You didn't call? No, because I was at the airport. Like, I was about to board my flight. But, like, I found out from Kaylee, who found out from Sarissa. And then, so I immediately texted him. Seth, how'd you find out? Through text from Rob. Same text that he texted Eddie and... Because I was like, well, now... Eddie and Sky. Okay. And so who do you hear back from, text-wise?
I heard back from Seth and Eddie. What did Eddie say? He thought I was joking. What did Seth say? Seth said he had a dream about it or something weird. He was like, I knew you were going to do something on Christmas. And for whatever reason, it never made it to Sky. Sky, you did not know. No, I mean, I'll have to go back and check my phone, but no. I sent you a couple texts. I have never got one text from you. So you just found out on the radio, Sky? Yeah, well, I kind of knew because, you know, I've been talking. Rob and I have had some private talks, you know, where he's talked to me about how much in love he is. And this is something that he sees in his future and to get my input. And so and just knowing Rob, I kind of had a feeling this was going to be coming. So this morning, Seth said to me, did you hear? And I knew immediately what he was going to say. What did you tell Rob? In our private talks? Yeah, about love and about that stuff. Just my feelings. You got married young and it worked out. Yes, I did. Is that your kind of take? No. My take is there's really no problem if this is something you want to do and is important to you getting engaged. That doesn't mean you have to rush a marriage. I always recommend living together first. That's something I think is very helpful. They're young and there's no need to rush.
You know, he has to trust his heart and his gut and, you know, go with that. What Eddie said. Don't give me stink eye, Eddie. I want to hear what Sean thinks. I want to hear what Ashley thinks. I want to hear what everybody thinks. Listen, I want to hear what Eddie thinks, too. You haven't heard yet, right? I don't know if you do. Yeah, you haven't talked, right? Uh-uh. No. Yeah, look at his face. Very interesting dynamic. Looks like he's upset. Oh. I'm not upset. 570-1053, P1s, what do you want to say congratulations? Wish him congratulations. Ultimately, that's the deal. The ultimate deal is congratulations. Yeah, well, you're getting married. I am. Now, you don't have a date yet, right? No. Okay. So, 570-1053, ultimately, the guy is getting married, and so you want to wish him a happy marriage and all that stuff. This one's going out to Sarissa.
All right, so let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll take your phone calls. I want to hear what Eddie thinks about the whole thing and then get into it. Come on. The Mikey Show is on. There's nothing better than Johnny Cash doing Soundgarden. Gonna break my rusty cage and run. Gonna break my rusty cage. Did you guys see any movies when we were gone? Nothing in the theater. No, I can't. Saw a lot of DVDs. I didn't either, but you guys know me. I'm never going to the movie theater again. I sat on there a couple of months ago. I thought you were going to go see There Will Be Blood. Well, that's going to hit a wide release here, I guess, pretty soon. That's been out in New York and whatever, in Amish country and Pennsylvania, but that's it. Those are only two places. I think it's come out. It is 7.08. Eddie Murphy got married yesterday in Tahiti. Speaking of.
Sugar Bowl yesterday, Hawaii had to put away the Cinderella slipper as Georgia beat them 41-10. And Boston Rob got engaged. He is 25 years old, and he's going to get married. Listen, a great woman, and he's a great kid. Eddie, you found out by text. And what was your initial thought? Did you really think he was kidding? No, no. I said what I put was, Really? And then Rob had to put his usual jackassness in there as serious as the Pope is Catholic or something like that. Well, let's do this. Because of time constraints with Sean Merriman, we have Sean Merriman. I want to talk to Sean, and then we're going to talk more about B-Rob getting engaged. This is the Bud Light Sean Merriman Report. Sean, how old are you? I'm 23.
23 years old. So Sean is two years younger than Boston Rob. Boston Rob's 25 years old, and he just got engaged, Sean. He's on our show. And he just got engaged, and he's got no date set or anything like that, but it's kind of what we were all discussing on the show and trying to figure out what everybody thinks and got people calling to say congratulations and all that stuff. What about you? You ever see yourself as a married guy? Yeah, no time soon, probably, but only someday. What about kids? Do you ever want to have kids? Yeah, yeah, I want a few kids. Like I said, no time soon, but one day. You're pretty good with kids, right? You do the thing with the coats every year in Maryland where you supply some disadvantaged people with coats and stuff like that, right? Oh, yeah, I love kids. I love kids. Just not really have any of my own yet. Yeah. So this is playoff time. Are you driving to the facility right now? No, I'm actually already here. You're already there. And how are you feeling? How is the knee? How is everything? I feel pretty good. I mean, when you get this late in the season, you're going to have some small nagging injuries, as a lot of people do on the team. But, I mean, it's really about four games now. And playing these four games and finishing them out the way we want to.
So your knee is maybe feeling a little twinginess, but you're going to expect that, and that's just the way it has to be. Yeah, when you get this late in the season, I mean, everything from your ankles to your fingers and all the little smaller things start to ache and hurt on you. I mean, we played 20 weeks already, so, you know, it's tough, but you got to fight through it. And, you know, we'll get a lot of guys back healthy this week again. So Tennessee is coming back. Now, this is the same Tennessee club. that was so physical when you guys met a few weeks ago in Tennessee. So physical. It was the game that you were saying on the Mikey show that you thought that Jeff Fisher was telling players to go get you out of the game. And these same guys are coming back. How do you feel it's going to be this time? Are both sides kind of pissed at the other? Well, I think it's going to be a physical game regardless. It's because of the nature of the situation and the team. We're both fighting for something now, and the loser goes home, and we're not ready to go home yet. So it's going to be a physical game. I think the first time, the whole thing was just blown out of proportion. And I think it was a lot bigger than probably what it should have been. Well, what do you think the atmosphere is going to be like this time? And what I mean by the atmosphere, I don't necessarily mean at the stadium. I mean leading up to it because...
There's so much pressure, man. Do you guys feel the pressure of winning this game? No, it's really not pressure. It's kind of almost taming yourself slowly as the week goes on because you don't want to peak on Wednesday or peak on Thursday. You want to start peaking at an intensity level to get ready to go out and perform on Saturday and Friday, Saturday, and go out and perform on Sunday. Do you have to prepare for both Vince Young and who's the backup, Eddie? Kerry Collins. Kerry Collins. Yeah, do you have to prepare? Yeah, we do because you've got two different kind of quarterbacks. But I think even with Vince, and Vince was the play, which we all think he will, he's still a little banged up. So I don't think that he'll probably try to run around as much as he normally does. Eddie, you got a question? Yeah, do you prefer one or the other, Sean? Not really. Not really. I think that obviously it might be a plus if we had Kerry back a little bit. He doesn't run as much as Vince. But, you know, we're prepared to see both quarterbacks. We've got to go out and save whoever's at quarterback, period. Now, Sean, I know you're downplaying this a little bit, saying that, you know, we're playing Tennessee. It's going to be physical and this and that. But there's got to be that twinge of, you know what, those two guys that cheap-shotted me and took my knees out, there's got to be a little twinge of, you know what, I want to get them back a little bit. Well, I don't really want to get just those two guys back, period.
You know, I feel that the league handled it, and that part of it's over. I'm going to try to have a good game against whoever was playing, because at first we didn't know whether it was going to be Cleveland, Jacksonville, or whoever was coming to town. You know, I want to go in and have the best game possible, regardless of who we're playing. Do you guys really take the philosophy of, I'm not going to look ahead, or is there any part of you that goes, bring on Indianapolis? Oh, no, not at all. I mean, as you've seen... the teams, how we played them during the regular season. It's going to be a tough match. We're going to go out and have to play them guys, and they're going to fight us. They're going to fight us just like they did in the regular season, and we're expecting a very physical game. Hey, where were you at for Christmas and New Year's, Sean? I was actually here. I just got some rest and got a lot of rehab and snuck in the training room, the weight room a few times, and just get prepared for this run we have to make. Did you have a fun New Year's Eve? Yeah, I did. I had some cousins and some uncles in town. It's been a while since family came out for the holidays, so I had fun. And, yeah, now your family's still in town or they already go back? They're still in town. They're still in town. They're going to stay for the first playoff game, and I think my grandmother and my mother will come in for the game as well. So did you kiss anyone at midnight on New Year's Eve? Wow.
Maybe he kissed his grandma on the cheek. Maybe it was some hottie in a nightclub. Sky would like to know if you made out with anybody at midnight, Sean. No, I didn't. I didn't kiss anybody. What about firing off of automatic weapons into the air and lighting off dynamite and explosives? That's not legal. That's not legal. No, no, no. I didn't do that either. I see. Well, listen, Sean, hopefully you got all the eggnog you could drink during the break because eggnog is now moratorium on eggnog. No eggnog until next holiday season. Yeah, I know. But listen, best of luck against the Titans. Go in there and knock some heads off. And this is going to be a really big weekend for the Chargers. Hopefully you guys get through this and then get to go to Indianapolis, and we can't wait to see it, man. We appreciate you coming on the show. I appreciate you. Thanks. All right, that's Sean Merriman, everybody. Catch the Bud Light Sean Merriman Report exclusively every Monday on The Mikey Show. On Rock 105. Back to Rob. Thank God. Eddie said that when he got the text message from Boston Rob that said that he was engaged, you didn't really think that it was a joke. You knew. Yeah, he's done it. Yeah, I did.
And I immediately was bummed out. And I wasn't bummed out because he got engaged. I was bummed out that that's kind of how we found out. And I had that same kind of hurt that Mike did. And I was bummed that he didn't feel like he could tell us. And I kind of wanted to just tell him, like, dude, what did you think? I was going to try and talk you out of it or whatever. And me and Rob had a lot of private talks, too, going up to it. And I told him my feelings. Rob is Rob. Rob does whatever he wants. Well, what do you feel? What are your thoughts on him getting married? What did you tell him? I said, congratulations. No, no, no, no. I mean when he asked you about it before he got married. I said, basically, what's the rush? I go, you're a young kid. You got a lot going for you. There's no real reason that you have to rush into anything like that. I do think that's a good point. I do think that's a good point. And, Rob, what were your thoughts on that? Because, see, I think that when people are in, when you're in love, man, you're just like, I'm so in love. I want to show the world and her and him. You say to each other, I want to show the world, like, by making this lifelong commitment and, like, what, why not just let everybody know that I'm in love? But what about that, Rob? Like, what is the rush? Why not wait?
you know, 14 more years and then get engaged. This is what I think you should wait. 14 more. No, why not wait a little bit longer? No, and I took everything Eddie said into consideration. I appreciated all those talks that we had because we had quite a few. But, you know, I don't know. This is how I felt about it. I couldn't see my life without her. And, you know, I felt like taking that next step. To me, it's like I don't see it as rushing anything. I'm just, I'm ready to Commit to her and she's ready. So, you know, why not? P1 John wants to know whose car you're going to live in, yours or hers. And I don't know if that's been decided. P1 Steve says, how many cans did you collect for the ring? I think that's a private question. Thousands. To know how many cans were collected. I don't think that's any of our business, how many cans he had to collect. So, Eddie, ultimately. you wish him the best kind of thing yeah i mean you know no matter what he does i'm going to support him i mean i i really uh you know i consider him one of my uh one of my better friends that's why i'm a little i don't know how i feel i'm i'm kind of bummed out you know more than anything that this is kind of how it played out you know and it's uh
It is what it is, you know, and I have these thoughts of like, oh, man, maybe I'm not as close with Rob as I thought and all these things. And, you know, I'm happy for the guy if that's what he wants, you know, but what can you do? How about you, Sean? What do you think of the news? Well, I mean, you know, it was really a shock, obviously. My only thought about it is I would really like, just like Scott, I would really like it if they tried to live together for a while. Really figure out if they're compatible because liking someone outside of the context of being together 24 hours a day, it's just so different. And you find out a lot of things about people when you live with them. A lot of things that you otherwise could not find out. Now, I told them the exact opposite. Everybody knows where I am with that. My faith dictates how I feel about stuff.
God has rules for us. He says he doesn't want us to live together before we get married. And if we do, he doesn't punish us. He just says, you're on your own. I got rules. And this is what he would say. I got rules. You follow my rules. I'll bless it. If you don't, you're on your own. I'm not going to punish you. I'm not going to make bad things happen for you. It just means that you're on your own and you live with whatever the consequences are of living together. And doing that. So that's what I told him. Listen, he takes all of it into consideration. He thinks about all of it. And he ultimately will decide what he wants to do and what he's going to do. I don't know that he does. I honestly don't. I think Rob does. He beats to his own drum. I think he does what he wants to do. Yeah, he does. But don't you think he listens to what you had to say and considers it? I really don't. So you don't think he even considered it? Okay. No. I don't. That's how I feel right now. Do you, Robert? No. I absolutely do. Yeah? I absolutely, 100% do. I think you had a game plan all along. You were going to do it no matter what. I agree. Was it a game plan, Robert? Was there a genuine time? And I kind of feel like a fool. So wait a minute. I think I'm just getting this. I think I'm just figuring this out. If what you're saying. Tell me if I'm on the right track. And I swear to you, I'm just at this exact moment.
7.21 a.m. Wednesday morning, just figuring this out. What you're saying is that you feel like Rob went, I'm going to ask Sarissa to marry me. And then went, I kind of want to feel out how people are going to react to this. So he went to you under the guise of, what do you think about this? Hoping to hear that you would be kind of supportive. Heard you being not that supportive and was like, well, it doesn't matter. I'm going to do it. I just wanted to know what he thought. And same with everybody, kind of. Pretty much, yeah. I wouldn't say that I wasn't supportive. I would say that I gave my opinion on what that is. Well, your opinion was, what's the rush? Don't get engaged. Pretty much. I didn't say don't get engaged. I said that at 25 years old, I mean, You go through so many changes from 25 to 30, and you're a different human being. And I have the same thoughts of you don't really know each other yet. You've only been going out for six months, and there's a lot of reasons not to do it. But ultimately, I did say, hey, you're going to do whatever you want anyway.
Whatever. But the thing that I'm bummed out about is, yeah, I do believe that Rob, in his mind, when we were having these talks, knew he was going to do it anyway. So I'm kind of like, well, what was the point? Why did you even bother having this talk with me if you knew you were going to do it? Rob, you're saying, no, that's not the deal. I genuinely was thinking about it and wanted people's input. Tell me what the deal was. When I spoke with Eddie, I genuinely... wanted to know exactly how he felt about it. I believe that. He had just got married. I believe that. But what I want to know is... My agenda was never like, I'm going to definitely propose this break on Christmas. It kind of changed. I knew this is the girl for me. From the first time I met her, there's some kind of connection with me and her that I've never felt like this in my life. Never. I'm 100% sure of this. But when he was telling me there is no rush, I took that into consideration. I definitely wanted to commit to her, but I wanted to get...
Like an older, you know what I mean? Like an older person's take on it and see what they were going to say. Like, I asked many people about this. Many senior citizens. Shut up. He didn't just say that. He has an old guy. He went down to the senior center. I said older. He went out on the golf course and talked to anyone with a walker. Yeah. Or plaid pants. Pulled up to the middle of their stomach. Old. I'll have you know that I met with pretty much the entire geriatric community here in San Diego before making a decision. I will tell you, he talked to Eddie about it. He talked to Sky about it. I talked to my therapist about it. He never talked to me about it. He never talked to me about it. Listen, I know that I wouldn't have... I don't know. I don't believe that my thing would be, you shouldn't do this. My thing would be exactly what I said. Well, if you would have said this to me two years ago, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Why did you not say anything to me? Why did you not talk to me about it, Rob?
I don't know. Usually the times I would talk to Eddie or Sky about it was like way later in the afternoon. Like when it was just me and them just kind of hanging out and we'd get to rapping about it. What is that? What is that? Can you like answer one question truthfully? Like one question truthfully. Like the reason why you didn't talk to Mikey about it is not because it was later in the freaking afternoon. You're telling me a big fat lie. You're such a liar. Like just be honest. And then maybe we'll all give you more credit. Be honest. I gotta say, like, Ashley has been, Ashley's been sitting over there, coming out of her skin, and I'm like, and I'm kind of wondering, like, shaking. I'm like so freaking irritated. That's 100%. That is not really because Mikey's not here later in the afternoon, because Skye, I'm pretty sure, leaves right when Mikey leaves every day. So how is that?
Not true, but... Similar, though. Like, Sky, would you say that you're here late in the afternoon? What I was getting to about that is the times that... Hold on, hold on. One second, please. I think I'm available is all. Or could it be because he doesn't want to hear what Mikey has to say because Mikey's going to tell him the truth and tell him maybe this isn't a good idea. And he knows Mikey's not going to support it. And he's going to be honest and he's going to try to talk to you like a man and give you something that maybe you don't want to hear. But that's not what Mikey was going to say. But you didn't even know that. But maybe that's really the real reason. Like, don't. And what I told Mike on the phone when we spoke is. Full of crap. All right. Say the truth. All right. Say the truth. Say the truth. And Mike, when you and me talked, what exactly did I tell you? You told me that I don't want to bother you. That's one of the things. I don't want to bother you. Let's time out. I believe that by the time you got to the I didn't want to bother you, I'll be 100% honest with you, Rob. Yeah. I believe you when you say that you thought that I was going to tell you something that you didn't want to hear. I didn't believe you when you said that you thought that you were bothering me. I just didn't buy that. I don't feel that I ever put you in a position. Maybe I do. I'm really going to have to evaluate.
evaluate that later whether or not i feel like i ever make you feel like i don't want to be bothered by you i mean bro look at all this stuff that we've talked about and been through and done together me and you together you know uh not and i'm not just talking about on the phone i mean together me and you being in the same room and going places and doing stuff you know so that i wasn't sure about i i didn't necessarily think that that was the case But I also think that you're a very honest person. And so I'm really going to think about that on the drive home. I'm going to go. Like, dude, you want the honest truth? Like a few years ago, you and me were so tight. Yeah. Like, dude, and I'm being honest with you. Yeah. We went to church together. We went to small group. Dude, like that was one of the best times in my life. Yeah. In my life. Because I had someone that I felt like no matter what happened in my life, I could fall back on. This was someone that.
No matter how warped my life gets, I can come to him and he's going to lay things down for me. Things have drastically changed from that. I'm not trying to be mean, dude, but I feel like that is not there anymore. Dude, you have a life with a family. Dude, my life is twisted. I don't know how I get into my weird predicament sometimes. I don't feel like I want to call you up and be like, dude. Like, you got a nice life, dude. I don't want to bug you. And that's honestly how I feel sometimes. And that's just the person who I am. Like, I don't want to bug anyone besides maybe my mother with, like, the weird stuff that happens to me. And the way I feel. And, like, my thoughts and feelings. And, like, that's why I was going to a therapist. Because I don't want to come and ask people for... I hate asking for help. I hate asking for money. I hate all these things. And, like... You guys have told me about this. We don't mind. Come to us. We're your family. I can't even ask my mom for help. I feel like I have to be the provider for her. This has been something I've thought about. This is something I've thought about. There have been times where I've thought to myself that we don't have the connection that we used to have. We don't. I know. I know. I know. I have to ask myself how much accountability each of us have there.
I think that mostly I'm going to be accountable for that. Because I think that it's sort of my job as the older guy to make sure that you know that it's okay. And I'm going to tell you right now, bro, I enjoy the conversations. I like being a therapist. And I genuinely and honestly feel like I have a lot to share. And I have some genuine wisdom that I'd love to be able to give to you and pass along. And I'll tell you what. That's going to be one of my new 08 things. If you're okay with it. If you're okay with it, I would like to, you know, reform that relationship. Dude, like, when you and me, like, dude, I lost my dad. And that was one of the toughest things to cope with in my life. And when you were taking me to church and you, like, you've done. We'll do it. We're back. From this moment on, we both know that we can reinvest in the relationship. All right. And I guess the thing that I wonder about this particular thing is it's one thing to go, I don't know that I want to pick up the phone and call him. He's got a kid. He's got a wife. Blah, blah, blah. But when I'm sitting there in the office, and I think that's what Ashley was getting at. Dude, I've had days when I was sitting there in the office, I think that what Ashley was saying was you didn't want to talk to him because you thought. Now, I would have never got mad at you. I would have never.
I would have never said, you're stupid. I would never say that. What I would have said was, I don't think you should live together because I don't believe that God wants you to live together. And if you do live together, you're on your own. And if you end up living together and you guys, I did it too. I would tell you from experience, before I was where I am right now spiritually, Rebecca and I, we lived together and we paid the price for it. Fought like cats and dogs. And when we got married, and I'm sorry, honey, if you're listening and I'm admitting it, but that first year of marriage was brutal. And part of the reason why was because we lived together and created an atmosphere living together that fed into that. And I can tell you, couple upon couple upon couple, I can name them off, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, name them off of people that I knew.
that were not living together before they got married because God said not to do it. And I can give you example upon example where we saw them physically happy and not fighting. And if you want to say, well, how do you know they weren't fighting? Because they told me they weren't and they weren't freaking lying. And I know they weren't lying because I saw them together and I saw how happy they were. And I thought to myself, if I had the chance to do it again, I would do it differently. My opinion. Just sharing my opinion. My opinion is worth what it costs. Zilch, zero. It's just an opinion. But I happen to subscribe to that one. And so I would have told you that. But I'm not going to yell at you. I'm not going to whatever. And I think that there's a little bit of both. There was the factor of, well, we're not as close as we used to be. And then there's also the factor of, well, I'm probably going to get a good earful of God stuff. And I don't know that I necessarily want to hear the God stuff. That's okay. That's fine. I understand. No, dude, I'm being serious. Like, I didn't say that sarcastically. Like, oh, whatever. I meant it. Like, I get it. You're a young man. You're only 25 years old. When I was 25, I wouldn't want to hear any of that. No, but that's what, like, when I come to you, like, that's what I like to hear. Well, but, bro, a little bit of what Ashley's saying is the truth. I get not picking up the phone because Mike's busy. I get it.
But when I'm sitting there in the office, bro, we talked about plenty of other silly things. Dumb stuff. Making fun of Skye until the end of the day back there. Throwing footballs at the back of her head. That's true. Which is a lot of fun. I have to admit that right now on the radio. Throwing footballs at Skye in the office is a good time. But a lot of horsey play was going on back in that office, and we never talked about this serious thing. So now to Ashley, whom has been very quiet. But has been full of emotion. She's full of emotion. And I just, I want to know so bad what all of the emotion is. And I'm sitting here wondering, I wonder if she'll tell us what like, you know, what's like really what is the emotion going on there and what's happening. Ash, can you hear me? I want to know all of it. Take a quick time out. Take a quick time out. I promise we'll make it quick. And then we'll come back and we'll hear. And P1's.

The lawyer for the two survivors of the tiger attack in San Francisco claimed that the zoo waited over a half hour before calling 911. The Chargers reward General Manager A.J. Smith with a five-year extension. Our boy Boston Rob got engaged over the holiday. Hear, hear. Well, yeah, you know, I mean, ultimately, congrats. The reason that you hear some... Sarcasm is because we found out, most of us, through either our wives or through text message, or in Sky's case, Zeth, this morning. That's crazy! Yeah, found out that Rob was sending all these texts to me over the break to my old cell phone number from San Jose. Oh. So someone in the Bay Area was getting some random texts about Rob being engaged, and I'm sure there were probably some ham jokes. I'm surprised they didn't text back and be like, hey, you know, congratulations. Congrats.
We have not heard from Ashley or Zeth, but it's mainly Ashley that I'm interested about. Ashley, you found out at the airport getting ready to leave to go to the Bay Area. No, the way I found out was weird. Before I even went to the Bay, I forget who had told me, but someone had told me that Rob had got a ring. And so I knew that, and I didn't know if he was going to be a promise ring or engagement ring. I didn't know what. I just knew he'd bought a ring. The person knew that he bought a ring, but the person that was telling you didn't know what the ring was for? Right. Really? Yeah. All I knew, it was a ring from Robbins Brothers, it was expensive, and that he had bought it for Sarissa. And that was all that I knew. And the person telling you that's all they knew? Yeah. That's weird. That was all I heard. And I don't even remember who I heard that from. I don't know if it was even from Rob or who it was from.
zeth or someone i don't know but anyways so i heard that went on went to break like whatever went home and then it was like christmas or christmas night and i got a text from kaylee who was like oh wow sarissa's got a ring on her finger and i'm like oh here we go and so then the next day when i was at the airport um i i texted rob are you so are you engaged and he texted me back yeah how'd you find out i'm like well you know There was various sources. She's like, I just heard Missy say it on the radio. Damn you, paparazzi. Yeah, Brad told me. So that was pretty much it. And then through text, he was like, yeah. And then he's like, we didn't really talk much. I got home. Wait, wait, wait. When he confirmed it, you guys did not talk immediately on the telephone? Did we? No. No, because I jumped right on the flight. I was at the mall. And then, oh yeah, because that's how I wanted to see if he could pick me up from the airport. That's how it started. So I get home, land. Could he? Could he pick you up? I don't know his response. What? Did you text him, can you pick me up from the airport? Yeah. So wait a minute, you're at the airport and you don't have anybody to get you? No, I don't really have any friends. How many times with this? Like no friends. That's not true. You have a ton of friends. You do have a ton of friends. It really is true. You don't understand. First of all, you have everybody here on the show. You have tons of friends outside of the show. Well, but.
So, Rob and I, like, so I texted Rob this evening. What did he say? He said, no, but I'm with Al. Do you want me to ask him? What? I was at the mall. My brother drove. I was like, what did you text back to that? I said, no, don't worry about it. I was like, what, are you really engaged? So, we get, I land, I get in the car with Kaylee because she picked me up. And she and I talk about it. And that's when she was like, yeah, you know, I talked to Sarissa. She told me that they're engaged, but that's the plan. They're keeping it super under wraps. It's not really a big deal. I'd say this is pretty super under wraps. Sure. So whatever. Yeah, so that was it. Okay, so how did you feel about that? It's just really hard for me. I feel, first and foremost... Did you see it coming, by the way? Yeah, I guess. Did he talk to you like he talked to Eddie? hey, what do you think of this? No, Rob and I haven't really had a good me and Rob talk like we used to have all the time in a while. We don't really talk like that anymore. So I didn't have any idea that he was planning on doing this. It's so crazy because six months ago, before he started dating Sarissa, it baffles me that he never talked to me because six months ago, I would have been the first person he came to. So it's just changed a lot.
No, so, you know. Which, it's been well documented on the show. She's been very hurt about that. It's been tough. I'm not going to lie. It's been really hard. So, how did you feel? I feel like Rob, this is, I'm just going to wrap this up. Of course, Rob is an adult. Of course, I care for him. Eddie, why are you wincing? Eddie's wincing. I'm so scared. Eddie's wincing like he. I'm so scared what's coming. I'm a little afraid too. Are you afraid, Sean? Yeah, a little bit. Sky, how are you feeling? What's coming? What's coming here? Like, I don't know. To me, it's like when they report a storm is coming to San Diego. You never know. You could get some drizzle or a friggin' tornado can roll through O-Tide. It could go either way right now. Those poor people, they got hit by the giant typhoon. I could see the giant wave coming. And I'm like, well, where am I going to go? So I might as well just break down. Let me get underneath this desk and see what happens. You know what? Hope for the best. Yeah. Pray. I know something devastating is about to happen to the community. It's about to happen. I'm going to hang on and hope for a bigger boat. Oh, man. Hope rescue finds me later. Go ahead, Ashley. Okay. So, no, I just, to wrap it up completely, because like I said, I have a lot of thoughts, and this is like really, you know, a lot for me. So, to wrap it up.
I basically love Rob very much and support anything he does, of course, always. I swear to God I would die for that kid. I would. I would give him my freaking lung. He's older than you. I would give him my freaking lung if he needed it. I'd transplant that crap for him. That's how much he needs me. Of course, I support him in whatever he does. But you want to know what I think about this? I think Rob is being extremely... extremely selfish. I think in the past six months, he has become the most selfish person I've ever seen. He says this, but he does that. He says he cares what Eddie thinks. He says he cares what you think, Mikey, what Sky thinks, what I think. He says he cares what his brothers think. Rob, don't read into this. I'm just telling you right now. Don't read into it. Don't try to analyze it. Take it at face value. Take it at face value, Rob. I would consider all of us like his family. I would consider all of us the people closest to him in his life. The fact that not one person was like, that is a great idea, Rob. You should absolutely go for that. And that he still did it. And then tries to claim that he cares about our opinions. Well, but Ashley, you do recognize it. When you say, and then he still did it, you do have to realize, hey, it is his life. And he gets to do what he wants. And that's totally 100% true. We all need to realize, me, you, Mikey, Eddie, Sky.
and Rob's two brothers, we all need to realize that even though we've been in his life, there, his rock for however many years per person, he is absolutely bypassing all of our thoughts, feelings, and everything to do what he wants to do. I'm going to be Phil Donahue. I'm going to be Phil Donahue. Wait a second. Now, hang on a minute here. Now, hang on a minute here. Oh, man. Just because... He has decided to make a decision about getting married doesn't mean that he's bypassed our input. It means he's taken it into consideration and he has ultimately come upon a different decision. I've been in those shoes, Phil Donahue. I went through this exact thing. I had a friend, a co-worker, who tried to rain on my parade. Very well documented that number one arbitrated rated Mikey in the Bay Area was very against the marriage of Skye to her husband. Yes. I was too young. She was 21 years old, 22. That's very young. Now, Mikey at the time didn't realize that she was actually 48 mentally and emotionally and, you know, whatever.
So, you know, in retrospect, did he make a dumb call on that one? Sure, but I heard what he had to say, and I internalized it to the point of tears. But, you know, the love in my heart ruled, Mike. Listen. You lose. It's like a politician. It's like a politician. You lose? You are going to listen to all the different candidates and their opinions. But ultimately, you're going to decide for yourself. And the other candidates, they can't get mad at you and say, but I told you that I thought this. How could you not vote the way I told you? Because ultimately, after taking it into consideration, I'm not down with your policy. It's not that something's wrong with your policy. It's just that it isn't my ultimate policy at the end of the day. Right, Ash? You don't agree with that? No, I think that's a valid point. I just feel like we all need to understand that he is completely swept off his feet right now. And he's completely in honeymoon phase with his girlfriend. And she is awesome. Fiance. Or fiance, sorry. And she is awesome. I swear to God, I probably really could not pick someone better for Rob. But it just kills me because when he tries to spat off that Al is upset because...
You know, Rob and him can't be running mates anymore. That's the biggest load of crap, like, I've ever heard in my whole life. Like, what's the truth? Like, Al and Gabe are his brothers. Like, they're his, like, if you want to talk about, I mean, he would die for his brothers. I mean, it's insane. He would do anything for them. But if that's not true, what's the truth? So, I'm, like, shocked that you don't know what the truth is. Because I had a really, like, I heard, like, reasons that were different than that. for why he's really upset. And, like, they're both really upset. Like, they live with Rob. Like, they're not going to have a place to live. Like, if Rob moves out with Sarissa... Hey, by the way, by the way, by the way, by the way, I want to say something. By the way, that is not Rob's problem. But Rob is the one who had them move out here. Do you know that? Like, that's the whole thing that pisses me off. Rob, like, literally, like, rallied his brothers to come out. Actually, no. Hold on one second. You completely rallied out to come out here. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Hang on. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Because Rob's standing up and he's real upset. Hang on. Just hang on. Well, the tidal wave is officially hit. Hang on. I'm up in a palm tree. Rob, hang on a second. Hang on a second. Rob, stand up for crying out loud. He's practically actually standing on his chair. I think he should stand up for this because I can't. He's on his tippy toes. Rob, hang on a minute. But why is he not laughing? Just hang on. Look at that face.
It doesn't matter. Now, Rob, I'll give you the opportunity to say that that's not true, and here's actually what the deal is. I'll give you the opportunity to, but I'm just going to tell you, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter if, even if, which he didn't, but even if he had said to his brothers, I'm begging you to come live out here. I'm begging you to, for me, for my personal, I want to feel closer to you guys. Please, I miss you. Even if he had done that, even if he had, it doesn't matter. Because these guys are over 18 years old, and they need to be adults. I agree. They've been blessed that Rob's been taking care of them. Absolutely. I agree. So Rob owes, trust me, he's paid off anything he owes. And then, and then, and then, and then some. I agree. To these guys. I agree. Okay, but Ash, it did sound like your overall tone was like, Do you know, Mikey, that he begged these guys to come out here and now he's deserting them? That's what it sounded like. Because it baffles me that the only reason that Al would be upset is that he can't be running mates with his brother anymore when that is just so not the case. Like, that's so not the number one reason, like, or any reason why... So, pause, pause. Is the number one reason I'm upset at my brother Rob because what am I supposed to do now that he's getting married? Well, no, I mean, like...
Honestly, I don't want to speak for either of them directly. Well, you already have. I don't want to speak for either of them directly. You already have, though. You've spoken for both of them directly. Hang on. I'll give you a chance. Stop giving your freaking attitude, bro. Like, you swear to God. What is she doing? She started the attitude. Wait, wait, wait. The two of them, you must know. There is a little history with the two of them. A little bit. There's a little history. There is. They used to be very good friends, and some... Well, one of them actually did say that if it weren't for the fact that they worked together, they would have been together two years ago. One of them believed that. One of them believed that. One of them said that. That's crazy! One of them said that. The other one... So right now, as I'm looking at the two of these young people... Oh, we've got to take a picture of... I just have to tell you. Right now, they're looking at each other with very angry eyes. A lot of emotions. And we know... Hey, listen. What have I said a million times about anger? What have I said a million times about anger? What is anger? You're mad. You're hurt. Pissed offness. So angry. Anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. So which one of them is he or she? He's fearful right now. I don't blame him. Listen, he's fearful that he might kill her himself. Oh, bring it. Hang on. Stop it. I got to turn the mic off. I got to turn the mic off. I got to turn the mic off. I got to turn the mic off. I now I got to say something.
And you guys may disagree with me. You guys may disagree with me. I do believe that there may... This is just my opinion. I may be completely wrong about this. But it is my opinion that there are maybe some feelings inside of Ashley that even she doesn't quite understand. And that she's having a hard time working out. And that some of these feelings may be coming out as anger. In other words... Maybe I could be wrong. Maybe I'm wrong. I think you're right. And I think the majority of this has to do with her being hurt, that they're not close anymore, and that she didn't know that this was going on. And she found out all this stuff like we did. And the way it's coming out is like, I'm going to rip your face off. If you say anything wrong. I'm going to have a grenade in your mouth and duct tape it. I mean anything wrong. If you make the slightest error in judgment in speaking to me. Like breathing. Yes. If I hear you hiccup, it's over for you, buddy. Do you understand that, Rob? Do you understand where that's coming from? Why she's like this right now? Do you understand that she's unreasonable? Put your anger away. Put your anger away. I'm trying to. She's shelving. I'm going to turn her mic off for a second. Let me talk to you. Wait. Listen to me. Top shelf. Okay. Rob.
She... Can he get a stool? Can he get a stool? Maybe the second show. Rob, listen to me. I'm being serious. Rob, she's being unreasonable. And the things that she's saying to you are unfair and unreasonable, in my opinion. And I think that she's saying these... She's so mad. And it's not really all the stuff you're hearing. She's hurt. She's hurt. I'm going to turn the mic on now. No, I am mad about these things. He did this to his brother. That's what I'm mad about. Oh, I'm furious. Shelf it. Second Shelf it. I did bring brother stuff in, Rob. Absolutely. Absolutely, I did. Can I just real quick? Absolutely, I did. Go ahead. It's Rob's turn now. I support my brothers, whatever they do. Gabe got in a lot of trouble in Arizona State. I said, come with me. I'll take care of you. You regroup, and you'll figure out a game plan. Whatever they want to do, I'll give them money. I'll lay my life down for those kids. Al had scholarships to go to school in Massachusetts. He wanted to come to the West Coast. I said, you come out here. You live for free for a little while. I'll take care of you. You did. You took care of them. We know all this. We know this. I don't appreciate you coming at me.
Making it seem like I convinced these boys to come out west and now I got the love of my life and peace. I would never do that to my family. And I don't think I would never do that. And you even put that in my mouth. I never said that you would, Rob. I never said that you would. I never said that you would. No, I did not hint at that. It's disgusting. I did not hint at that. And if you want to talk about something, it's disgusting. I swear to God. Rob, you know what? You know what? I can't help it. Happy 08. Happy 08. What a way to bring it to New Year, huh? I can think of a couple other things that are more disgusting. Ladies and gentlemen, now the award for Comedy Morning Show of the Year. Comedy Morning Show of the Year. Come on, I need to hear this. I really think it's going to. Oh, I'm so nervous. It actually went to Jeff and Jer. I don't know why. I was pulling for Tony and Chris, but they don't do comedy either. Next award goes to most dramatic and uncomfortable show of the year. I don't want to win this one. We don't deserve it. Right. This one goes to the Mikey show for sure. This one definitely does go to the Mikey show for sure. Maybe in 09. Are you giving me the breaks? What is that all about? But wait a second. Mikey show continues. Thank you for being big enough to laugh at yourself this morning. Cricket. Cricket's great. It's one of the reasons that we are in partnership with them. We feel they are great. And that is why we have decided that we're going to sell our best of CD.
At cricket locations. And all the money that we raise, only $9.99. And all the money that we raise is going to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It's really cool, too, because while you're at the cricket stores, you're going to probably be blown away with the amount of things that they have. I mean, we're talking, like, Bluetooth stuff. They even have this new docking station that to me is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. You dock your phone in there, play your MP3s. It's just amazing stuff they have right now at Cricket. It's not just phones. They have everything. It's cool. Whatever songs you have on your phone, you have a ton of songs on your phone. You play them right through this device. You dock in your phone, you play them through the device, and it's a really cool thing. Sky, what's the website? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Hello, has this guy ever used an ATM before? Seriously, they aren't that complicated. You know, let's just go to McDonald's. I'm thinking Big Mac sandwiches. Why do you think I'm getting cash, dude? I've always got enough of Mickey Deeds in my pocket. Yeah, right, Big Macs for both of us. Just let me get through this line. Listen to me, two Big Macs are just three dollars. What? Yeah, two Big Macs, three bucks. Now, how is that even possible? It's McDonald's. They're the home of everyday value. I'll cover you, and by the time we get back... This guy will be long gone. Now's the time to revisit a delicious classic.
Because the Big Mac is just two for $3. Each with two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun. No way. Oh, he's still here. Clearly, he doesn't know two Big Macs for $3 is for a limited time. Oh, man. We do have enough for more. Let's do it. Price and participation may vary. I get them from restaurants. And Ashley. Go above and beyond. The Mikey Show.
on Rock 105.3. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. It's 8.03. Wow. Nicole Kidman has issued a statement saying that she is not pregnant. Jacksonville's Fred Taylor says Pittsburgh's field is terrible. It always trips me out when people go, it's really weird, man. I feel like you guys are all of our friends. I can see why we do. It's all on the radio. It's all on the radio. We have not spoken to each other about this at all. It's all happening on the radio. Thank you. Thank you.
Hello? Yes, you're on the air. Is Mikey there? Uh-oh. All right, thank you. You're not good. Baby DJ. Mikey Show, hello. Hello, I was wondering if I could just give some advice. Yeah, you're on the air. Oh, hi, I'm sorry. I'm Peter and Riannon. I just wanted to say, I want to say something for Rob and something for Ashley. Okay. I got married when I was 21. I was with, who's my husband now, for, Four years. And I just want to say to Rob, you know, people are going to give you advice and they're going to say you're too young and you should take your time and you should wait. But, you know, honestly, it's up to you. It's up to you. You know how you feel. Nobody knows how you feel but you. And I think that you. How old are you? How old are you? I'm only 23. Okay. So I know you guys are going to be like, oh, she's so young. No, no, no. Well, you're describing the exact, you just articulated exactly what happens in a young person's mind when they get married real young. When you just said, nobody knows how you feel but you, you are, that's why instantly I said, well, how old are you? What that is, is nobody understands. Nobody understands.
know is I've we've all done it we've all been there so when I'm making the comments that I'm making not only do I know what you're thinking I've thought it too I've been there I've already thought and now I have a few years of like reflection and I'm not saying just my own personal reflection I mean like as a human being being older to reflect on humanity you know people stuff all right thank you for the call um I wanted to get stuff in. Rob had to go smoke a cigarette. Rob just came back in the studio and wanted to smoke a cigarette. And I took the call. And so, you know, I wanted to be able to say things without the benefit of Rob hearing. It wasn't necessarily... I didn't want to say anything bad. I just kind of wanted to articulate my feelings of what happened during the break. You can... I'll leave. I don't care. Leave the studio. Come back in like a...
Three minutes. I have another one, buddy. I will. Can I go smoke a cigarette? Yeah. Don't do it in the same place. Separate them. Separate them. Separate them. Can I go smoke a cigarette? I've never smoked one. You guys, I'm going to go smoke a joint. I'll be back. But you don't do drugs. That's true. I don't do drugs, so. It's weird. But I'm considering it right now. Yeah, but I'm considering. Okay, now that they're both. Look at, she smokes the dirtiest cigarettes I've ever seen in my life. Those parliaments. What? It's like she's an 80-year-old man. Or from the Middle East. Yes, exactly. Ashley, get on the mic for a second. Ash, why don't you get one of those long brown cigarette holders to smoke with those things? Oh, yeah. Really? Parlor Lights. So crazy. That's such a weird brand. All right, go smoke. She won them in prison. Exactly. Gross. Oh, wow. Okay, so both of them are gone. This is a lot easier now, right? Yeah.
Man, oh man. I feel so much better. I feel like we can talk openly and honestly. Now the truth can come out. I feel better. Okay, so P1s. So here's what I think. First of all, Rob comes in during the break. And his eyes are filled with tears. His eyes are red. He's red. He's so mad at Ashley. And he's like, how dare she. Say that about my brothers and I tried to get my brother. And I said, Rob, Rob, Rob, Rob. I said, I get it. And he goes, no, dude, I don't think you understand. And I said, Rob, on a scale of one to ten, it hurts you at a thousand. Sound about right? And I could see that he was like, oh, okay, maybe you do get it. I said, she is hurt. She's wounded. And so she's just. reacting as a wounded it doesn't matter what she says like everything she's saying is just it's all uh eddie what did you say she's wounded she wants to hurt i said you know she's hurt she's hurt so she wants to hurt you back so she's gonna pick the thing that will hurt you the most right which is saying that you don't really care about your brothers or whatever exactly which is you know the biggest it feels like it feels like she's already like she's come to the conclusion that rob doesn't care about any of us
So he does still care about his brother. So that's the weapon I'm going to use. And I think that she kind of got to a place where saying that he doesn't care about us wasn't effective. No, it wasn't effective enough because she tried that. She tried it and he didn't care when she said that. And so she's like, that's not working. So what's next? Brothers. Brothers. And she went to that, and when she went to that, he stood up. We couldn't tell. It's hard to tell. But he claims he stood up. He claims. I saw his little eyes pop up over the little board there. And I was like, oh, what's going on? Hi, little guy. He said, oh, look, a jack-in-the-box just shot up out of the box. Smallest jack-in-the-box. Is that a gopher? What is that? Hi, little eyes. Hey, little meerkat. What are you doing here today? Pop your head off? Okay, wait, this is how we're going to use our time. Okay, so anyway, the cigarette won't last that long. Right. So anyway, she's hurt. She is really, really hurt by a lot of things. Now that I can say it, I think that she's a little jealous. She's not sitting there now, so I'll say it. I think she's a little jealous. I think that there may be a part of her that thought, you know, maybe one day the Sarissa experiment will end. And, you know, that's what I think.
And when it does, who knows? I don't know. Maybe blah, blah, blah. He'll chase me. I'll let him chase me for a while. Maybe I'll give in. I really like the way it feels when he likes me so much. And so that'd be fun to have again. And then he'd be my little buddy again. And then he'll like me and I'll like that. And who knows? Maybe we'll end up. This put an end to all that. The engagement put an end to all that. It meant I'm definitely not getting my friend back. he's never going to chase me again. He's not going to want me ever again. And that felt so good. And he's not going to do that anymore because now he's got somebody. And I think that there's a part of it of like, I think that she might take a lot more satisfaction. I just had to shoo him out of the studio. He popped his head in his studio and I had to tell him to get out. I think that she would have taken a lot more satisfaction in the fact that he was engaged. If the person that he was engaged to wasn't. so awesome yeah and i think that part of the fact that she's as awesome as she is is playing with her head she doesn't like that she wishes that she was a little less pretty and a little less smart and a little less better off and drove a little less of a car and all that you know it would make her feel better and so all and on top of that you didn't call me and tell me yourself and i am furious with you
And you hurt me so bad, and I'm going to hurt you too. She's back. Are we done? Or do you want her to go more? No, I'm good with what you said. Do we cover it? All right, she can come back. Where's Zeth? He can wrangle him up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so he's bringing him back in. Oh, man. Well, the thing is, is that this is what I think needs to happen now. They're both back on the radio now. First of all, little time needs to go by. You know, a little time. Right now, it's very touchy. A little time goes by, and after a little time, maybe both sides could agree to give just a little bit and say, I'm sorry if this hurt you, and the other side could say, yeah, and you know what, I said a little of this, and I'm sorry if that hurt you, and I'm sorry, and both sides will be sorry, and hey, you know what, let's work on being buddies again. That could be a plan. Ash, what do you think?
A little time goes by, and then maybe you guys can make up. Rob, do you agree? Yeah, maybe after some time. Well, this went well. No, it didn't. No, babe, I don't know that it went that good. Well, I'll tell you what it was, honey. It was a lot of emotion happening live on the radio as opposed to off the air, which is what we do. We usually discuss stuff on the air, and it got discussed. I wonder if this is what Barbara was afraid of. But I know it sounds crazy, dude. I really am happy for you. I know that sounds crazy. I really am, though, at the end of the day. That's crazy! I'm so excited. Yeah. You don't know when. It's a beautiful thing for two people to be this much in love as they are. They're crazy in love, these two. They are. I think it's beautiful. I just hope this isn't all too good to be true. Hee hee. You guys have no idea when you're going to... She wants to get married in the fall.
Of 08? Of 08? We haven't discussed yet. She knows she wants a fall wedding. How come your nose is growing when you said you haven't discussed it? That was like Pinocchio. All of a sudden, I saw his nose growing when he said, we haven't discussed that. That's all I know from her. She said the word fall, and I just didn't want to... I would like it to be 08. Do you know where you're getting married? We're going to get married in San Diego. Are we going to get invited? Yeah. It's going to be an e-vite. I'm just asking. It's going to be a mass text. Mass text, through text. Save the date. It won't tell us where. Did you ask your dad for permission? Yeah, on the bed, in the bedroom. I said, sir, can you come in here to my room? Right. That's where I had all my business. That's it. My office. My office slash bedroom slash bedroom.

Similar, not really. Totally is. Well said. So, right on. Mikey Show. Hey, B-Rob. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. Who's speaking? It's Mikey. It's Mikey. It's Mikey. Hey, I got something to say. It's Mikey. If Ashley's such a good friend of yours, wouldn't she be happy for you? I said I was happy for him. Yeah, I came across loud and clear. She's ecstatic for him. Let you guys hug. He used to eat a lot of natural food until he learned most people die of natural causes. Mikey. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. This is Tom. What's up, Tom? Hey, I want to let you know I just bought a new truck through a local dealership and I had never had insurance before. And if I would have went with the insurance that they offered, I would have been paying $1,500 a year. So I figured I'd check out AIS.
I got the same coverage through AIS for like $400 and change. Are you serious? That's for the whole year. I couldn't believe it. Oh, dude, I love hearing it. I can't thank you enough, man. Now I can actually make my payment. 1-800-777-4AIS. No, it didn't. In my car. I listen back to shows, and I have the reaction of like, and I catch myself. I go, what are you doing? It's weird. It's 821. But as far as I know, they haven't said, you're out of here. She's on a kid's show. Yeah. That's crazy. Are they going to work her pregnancy into the storyline? Oh, no. I've seen on a commercial they're doing some, like, maybe goodbye to, I think her name on the show is Zoe on Friday. Really? Yeah, some, like, TV movie.
Well, they say that the season finale will air on Friday, and they say that next season has already been filmed and will start to air in February. That's a missed opportunity. If they don't do something with the pregnancy, they've got to say, hey, kids, don't get pregnant. I think they did that. Except not in the context of this show. Yeah, a public service announcement or something. Yeah, I think they did a couple of specials or something on that. If the character's name is Zoe, Zoe should get pregnant, and it should be a real bad thing. Make it into a lesson. Like, hey, look how bad this is. But it's a good thing in her life. She's acting like it. So why would she want it to act like it? Oh, I see what you're saying. Well, this is what I would say if I'm James Nickelodeon. James. I thought it was John. Well, professionally, it's James. And his friends on the golf course call him John. Yeah, that's how I know him. But James, John, whichever. Right. Mr. Nickelodeon, I would go, well, listen, sweetheart. You're pregnant. That doesn't work because you're only 16. You may be very happy about your kid, but most people are disappointed that you're pregnant, including me. And Ashley. And Ashley is really mad at you. Very emotional about Jamie. She's very emotional about Jamie Lynn Spears. Oh, no. And so what I will say to you, Ms. Jamie Lynn Spears, is I won't fire you, but we got to do this storyline where, like, you know.
You're a loser for getting pregnant. She's not well right now. We got it. We got it. We got it. Now, you be heard, Skye. Give me resistance. I'm Jamie Lynn Spears. You're Jamie Lynn Spears. But birth and the creative life, creating life is a beautiful thing. It is when a couple of people are, you know, first of all, it is if you're an adult. You're just a kid. You're under 18. You're not even an adult. Well, the father of my child is an adult. I know, and he'll be prosecuted. I mean, but I'm living the life of an adult. Well, yeah, that's what we've got to show on TV. That's what we've got to prove. We've got to show that for sure. You're living the life of an adult. That I'm very mature? That's what we're going to show? Oh, no, we're going to show how immature you are by getting knocked up. If you want to keep your job. If you don't, you know, sayonara and all that. Well, isn't that illegal to terminate a woman's employment due to pregnancy? Holy Toledo, I didn't even think of that. She's got you there. She kind of got me there. You know what? Best of luck to you. Thank you. And an extra bonus for me. I wonder if that's true. I wonder if you can not fire her because she's preggo and she... No, no, no. Yeah, you can. You know why you can? Why? It has to do with that thing that's in our contracts that says that if you do something detrimental to the programming, even us, like if we get a DUI, if one of us gets a DUI, we can get fired from you.
Oh, no. Like a morality clause. Actually, it's like a morality clause. But on our show, you could almost actually get a DUI and be okay because it almost fits the format of rock music. But there would be something that you could do. If you did something real illegal, yeah, you're done. And so I think that may be their thing to the courts, maybe if anybody wanted to raise any whoop. Like if Rob got pregnant. If Rob got pregnant, it won't fit the show. Is she pregnant, Rob? No, she's not, though. Yeah, is she pregnant, Rob? No. Your fiance? Uh-uh. Okay, we're just checking. Just double-checking. P1 Steve. He's like, oh, yeah, I didn't tell you that? Oh, yeah. By the way, I'm a dad. I texted you. You guys, I texted you the sonogram. Yeah, you didn't get that? The sonogram. Steve, are you there? See his little pekka. It's a boy. It's a boy, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's a little Winkle-Doo. Okay. Something like me. Go ahead, Steve. Steve. Steve. What's up? What's up? I've been seeing on Nickelodeon, they've been running a commercial, kind of like a public service type announcement thing, where it's just an announcer's voice saying that they're going to have some special show.
for kids about teens and sex and pregnancy and all that stuff. Is she even going to be in it? Is she even in it? No, they didn't mention her specifically. They're just saying that there's going to be a special show on Nickelodeon to address issues dealing with teen sex and pregnancy and all that. So it's obviously because of all this stuff. What a mess. Wow. What a mess. The last place I want my kids learning about sex and teen pregnancies on Nickelodeon, you know? Like, if you get pregnant, you'll get slimed. Exactly. Thank you for the call. Right on, bro. Thanks. So, apparently, midnight on New Year's Eve, weird stuff happened here in San Diego, UFO-wise. It was interesting because I actually stayed up until New Year's. I never do that. Wow. I was at our neighbors across the street, and we're sitting there, and we got the light in the loafers, Ryan Seacrest on, and we're watching the ball drop. About that Dick Clark, though, huh? Dude, so they didn't know that Dick Clark had a stroke, and so they're like, what is up with Dick Clark, for goodness sake? And I'm like, you guys, he had a stroke. And they're like, oh. Oh, wow. Which I don't know. I think it's time. Come on.
Eddie, come on. No. It's a tradition. I have to have my Dick Clark on the... You don't have him anymore. You don't have him anymore. Just because his jaw looks like it's going to fall off, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy him. I enjoy seeing him there. He's not the same guy. He's like my family member. I accept him. What? They did not accept him in that household. That's terrible. They did not accept him. They said, what happened here? What happened? What happened? So anyway, the ball's dropping and we're all counting down. Five, four, three. And we all had on little hats. And we had on those poppers that you pop, you know, you pull the string and they pop. And we had streamers and we had those things in our mouth that you blow and go. And five, four, three, two. And their TiVo changed the baby channel. Shut up. It was a funny thing, man. Like we all, like all of us, there was a stunned silence. Yeah. The stunned silence. And then somebody in the room said, what happened? What happened? And then we just laughed. And then there was like a fumbling of the remote control. Frantic. Trying to get it back. And by the time we did, they're all kissing on TV and it's all over. So then we started popping stuff. But I left pretty shortly after that. We were playing poker and it was down to me and Dom.
and I went all in blind on one hand, and he beat me. And so I said, all right, I'm bitter, and I'm out of here. And when I walked outside, I noticed how absolutely beautiful the sky, like not a cloud in the sky, and you could see all of these stars. Well, I guess in Claremont, there was like weird stuff in the sky, and they were saying it was UFOs, and people filmed it. Here's the audio, cut 77. Whoa! Quiet! That's them seeing these strange lights over San Diego. And that was more than one light, Sky? Yeah, it was like a string of lights. Send me the link. I forget. Okay, hold on. I'm sending it right now. I think it was like seven or eight, they said. I don't know. Sean, there's another clip, right, of the guy describing what he's seeing. Yeah, this is a college kid that's saying what he saw. Seventy-eight.
They all moved uniformly in a uniform speed. They moved in an arc. They didn't move in a straight line. Like I said, we live with a couple guys who are astrophysics majors. They're sitting there running through the list of possible things and ran out of things before we could identify what it was. I've seen weird lights over Phoenix before. Really weird, unexplainable. strange UFO sightings. I've seen it with my own eyes. Weather balloon. Yeah, those reminded me of the ones in Phoenix. These are not... Weather balloon. This is no boating accident. No weather balloon. Let me see. It's loading. Does anybody else see... Eddie, did you see the strange sighting? No. Anybody else besides Sky and Sean see this stuff? Rob lives in Claremont. Yeah, I didn't see it. Oh. I was in my room. I was in my bedroom. Okay, now I'm looking at it. Posted in his bedroom. That's not normal. Yeah, you see that? That's not normal. No, it's not. I wish this guy would send me the link. Oh, you want the link, Eddie? Oh, well, we were just talking about it. Well, everybody else asked. That's not normal. Look at it, Eddie, when you get it. Eventually, I'll take a look. Send him the link. I just sent him the link. Sean, stick it on MikeyShow.com. Calm yourself. You calm yourself. Whoa! I think it's UFOs. Man. You know what? And when I say UFOs, I don't think it's aliens from another planet.
I do not believe that. Military? I think it's something we're doing and it's weird. People stuck in space. Yeah, I think it's people stuck in space trying to find their way out with a flashlight. Like lost in space? Lost in space. Trying to find their way back here. That's right. Where are we? Mr. Smith. Can anybody help me? Help, help. We're finding our way back. Danger, Will Robinson. Dear boy. That was so creepy. He was so creepy. Damn boy. He would only hang out with that kid. Weird. Never wore underwear. He did not. You don't know that. We know it. There was that one episode. You didn't see the underwear episode? He goes, damn boy. I'm going commando. There was a Twilight Zone marathon on it all weekend. I saw plenty of that. Scary stuff, Sky. The scariest episode ever to me is called Living Doll. It's a doll that comes to life. And every time I would watch The Twilight Zone, I would think, is the camera going to pan down? Because the camera pans down the start of every show. From space, it pans down. And I would always think to myself, is it going to pan down and we're going to see the station wagon pulling up? Because if we do, that's Living Doll.
And I was like afraid of it and wanted it. And I was afraid of it and I wanted it. And I was like, don't do it. Don't do it. And I watched it. So I was on the TiVo going ahead to see what all the episodes were. And Living Doll was there. I taped it. I was scared to watch it, but I taped it. I taped that one. I taped it after hours, which is scary. This lady wakes up in a department store like Macy's. And she's lost. And the store, it's after hours. Everybody's gone home. She's in this department store and it's locked. She can't get out. She woke up there on the couch. She must have fallen asleep. And so the mannequins in the store start coming to life. Does she fall in love with one and put it on the back of her motorcycle? She does not. That's another mannequin. I thought that was a love story. That was not scary. The girl from Sex and the City.
So it turned out at the end of the show that she was a mannequin. Oh, no, she didn't. And once a month, one mannequin gets to come to life and go out in the real world, and she hadn't come back yet. And they were pissed because somebody was missing their chance to get out there. So she came back to the department store just to shop and fell asleep. So at the very end of the episode, you see her as a mannequin. in the department store. Oh, he did? Wow. Yeah, he did too. Dang. You don't believe me, I'm being completely serious. And then William Chatner shows up and is like, ah, here's the mannequin. That's right. The mannequin's on the wing. You guys want to play Lyrical Gangsta next? Yes. Oh, yes. Let's do this. Let's take a quick timeout. And then when we come back, we're going to play
Lyrical Gangsta. Call now if you want to play. 570-1053. You must be the type of person that really knows lyrics. 570-1053 if you really know the lyrics to songs. Because we ask you questions about lyrics to songs. And we've got a cool prize for you. Still got to tell you a bunch of stuff about things that happened to us on the show while we were gone. It's next on the Mikey Show. Welcome back. It's 842. Even though the writer's strike continues, late night talk shows are returning tonight. Pittsburgh beat Buffalo in an outdoor NHL game 2-1 in front of 70,000 people in the snow. Sky, you in on this song yet? Or are you still undecided? Yeah, it's kind of funny to me.
breathing out of a hole in his lung. Like, okay, so am I. Did he say that? That's like the first line. Right out of the gate. Well, don't we all kind of breathe out of a hole? Oh, yeah. So why did he have to mention it? Yeah, but what about the ooh-ooh part? That's pretty good. When he starts talking about walking on a straight line, that's good. Friday test? That right there, that's delicious to me. I hate it. You got to give it more chance. I don't want it. It sounds like he's breathing helium. I like it. It gets in my head. It's not garbage. It's not garbage. Thank you. That's Silverchair, by the way. Believe it or not. I don't believe it. It is the truth. Now, the Mikey Show presents the search for the truth behind the words and the logic behind the lyrics. It's time to play. Snow was obviously white, right? That was the name of Snow. Hence the name. Well, it doesn't stand, you know, it's not like, it's not like logical. It's not like iced tea was made of iced tea. He was. He was. That's not true. Iced tea was just a black wrapper is all. Ice cube comes out of the freezer. He was actually made of ice. Vanilla ice? Vanilla ice was actually vanilla flavored ice. Flavored, yeah.
Lyrical Gangsta, it's one of my favorite things to do. Basically, the idea is that we will ask you questions about the lyrics of songs. If you get them right, you win. And, Eddie, what is the prize? This is a great prize. We got entries to the big Harrah's Rink on Poker Tournament, where Sky's going to be playing on January 9th. What up? So you get to play against Sky. Come on, I'm the best. She's not the best. That is true, Eddie. That's a week from today. Yes, it is. That's a week from today. Sky calls everything. She likes to see a lot of flops. Her strategy is to see flops and then to try and do stuff after that. I was practicing. Yeah, you get her out before the flop. I was practicing over the holiday. I did really good. I'm sure you did really good. Did you play with your husband? And other people, yes. So you teamed up, right? So you teamed up on everybody. The two of you guys. They have an alliance. Well, yeah, they have an alliance, and it's kind of a system. That's not true. They get everybody else out first. Yeah, they get everybody else out until it comes down to just them, and then either way they win. Right. But it never really works out because this guy's not that good. Well, she calls everything, Eddie. Oh, God. That's how you beat her. It's not true. I do not call everything. And I came in second.
in the tournament and wasn't after the tournament. Who was first? Who was first? Who was first, guy? Who was first in the tournament? Who was first in the tournament? There is no shenanigans. There is shenanigans because it came down to me and the husband. Oh, really? What a shenanigans. He immediately claims the game is over and he won just because he had more chips than me. And I'm like, hey, bro, the game's not over. This is the super scam I've ever heard. These two. Idiots. I want to say to them, we're all friends here. You know, we'll just play. Let's just play. Can we just play? We do just play. We just start and go, look, Skye, I tell you what, how about we give you the 80 bucks and then we play, okay? That's what it's about. So you don't have to think of it like you're making money here. Right, that way it can be fair. We just have fun, you know? It's always fair. P1 Mark. Hey, what's up, Mikey? Not too much, dude. You ready to play Lyrical Gangsta? I want to beat Sky in poker, so I hope I win. Nice. You will, trust me. Here we go. Here is your question. Hi, bro. In Billy Joel's song, My Life, you're supposed to go ahead with your own life. What else? Leave me alone. You got it. Yeah. Leave me alone. Come on some bodies. And I'm 10 and I want to be a second traveler. Sadio, I tell.
Buffy and Hildegard. That's right, Eddie. Oh, nice. There you go. Kip and Henry. There you go. Again. That is correct. More like a guy I love but a buddy. Hang on the line. Okay, Eddie. No more. Wow. For goodness sake. Why are you screaming at me? For goodness sake. P1 Tonloke. What's happening, Mikey? Happy New Year, everyone. Happy New Year to you, bro. Are you ready to play? Yeah. Here we go. Your question is, in the Nickelback song, Never Again, what does the living room become? A chateau. I think you win. A chateau. That is not correct. The living room very gaily becomes a boxing ring. Picking your ass would be a pleasure. Yeah, it would. Yeah, it would. I mean, who's... says that? What tough guy says that? Chuck Norris. P1 Shannon? Yeah. Do you know the lyrics to songs well? Yeah, I didn't know that Nickelback one because they suck. Is that Shauna? We can agree on something. Well, you know. I am a P1. You ready to play? Yeah. Here we go. Your question is, in the song Come Sail Away by Styx,
Where has an open course been set for? Set another course for the... Oh, shoot. No. I know. You know it. For the Virgin Sea. No. Open for the Virgin Sea. She was so close. She knew it. She did. And I... Get it, Mikey. No, no, no. No, no, it's not. We'll be free. That's not how this game goes. The young, come on. It's a different game. To get... Hey, guys. Hey, we're not playing with rock. Jeez. You win with rock. I've wanted to do that all vacation long. You could have. Why did you stop? I had to be in here. No, you don't. Thank you. Whatever. P1, Brian, are you ready to play? Brass rail.
Everybody, welcome to Gay Karaoke. And here is Mikey singing Come Sail Away. Again. Another Tuesday night. He's here. I don't know that it's Tuesday night. I don't actually know. Did you know? All right, are you ready? Is that why you're so sleepy today? All right. Are you ready, Brian? Yeah, I'm ready. Your question is, in the song Patience by Guns N' Roses. Why does he shed a tear? Very close. Very close. He sheds a tear because he's missing you. Eddie, you don't have to move back and forth and sway. I don't know what you're saying. You don't have to. Sorry about that, P1 Brian. Wow. That's all right, man. He was close. Been a lot of in and out heartbreakers today. That's right. P1. Brian. I was going to say that. Oh, shit. P1 Giants fan. I love it when Mike just agrees with me before actually listening to you guys. Wait a minute. You know what? You and Rebecca were talking about that the other day. He does that all the time. Hang on a second, Giants fan. Hang on a second. I love it. We were talking about the human phenomenon of doing this. Yeah. The human phenomenon of doing this.
If you talk to somebody and like maybe you don't know them that great, you know, and you're having a really good time and you're talking and you're talking, they can almost say anything and you're like, I know, right? You know, they could be like, and you should kill people. And you're like, yeah, you know, yeah. Like you just do it. And that happened yesterday. We were at a party and somebody made a joke to our, we have these friends, guy and a girl. They just had a baby. The guy makes a joke to. The girl, and he goes, hopefully he doesn't grow up to look like blank, her husband. And it was kind of awkward. And before she even processed what she'd heard, she goes, I know, I know. And then you hear her kind of go, you hear her figure out what was just said. P1 Giants fan. Are you ready, bro? I am ready. All right, here we go. Your question is... In the song Irreplaceable by Beyonce, where does she place everything you own? Wow, I have no idea. Oh, dude. Everything you own in a box to the left. Wow. That was a jam. Thank you.
These are easy this week. Yeah. I think so, too. P1 Mike. Hi, yeah. How's it going? Good, man. You ready to play? Yes, I'm ready. Here we go. Your question is, in the song Outside by Stained, he states that on the inside, you are ugly. Ugly like who? Sky. Hey, you dog face. So uncalled for. Eddie. I don't know. Eddie, it's not Sky. It's not Sky. Eddie, why are you laughing so hard? I'm your friend. Eddie, what? Eddie, you're not ugly. No, Eddie, you're not supposed to laugh when you defend me. Ugly like me. Purple, sir. Purple. Beautiful human being. Thank you, Eddie. Eddie, control yourself. The guy didn't even think about it. Oh, that's Scott. Give him the prize. How dare you?
How dare you? That's messed up, sir. P1 Slammer? Sure. Slammer, are you there? Yeah, I'm right here. All right, you're our last player. All right. Are you ready? You ready, man? All right, here you go. Your question is... It's not funny. In the song Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. Yeah. What does she hear while lying in her bed? Guys. Sky, you know the answer? No, you just answer Sky forever. Oh, it's just Sky is the answer. There it is. No. Friends in 08. Oh, you're also funny. You can't just keep saying friends in 08 forever and then not be friends in 08. We're good friends in 08. That's our thing, right? Well, until a second ago, when you found the insult against the hilarious.
Like the funniest thing you've heard all year. So far. Here's the clock ticking. I have to take a quick time out. So Sky has a list of the new laws that went into effect in California yesterday. There's a whole bunch of new laws. Like stuff that you better know. Because now, if you do it, you're breaking the law. I'll tell you what they are next. This is the Mikey. Yes? Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's 9-0-1. Eddie Murphy got married yesterday in Tahiti. Well, Chargers reward General Manager A.J. Smith with a five-year extension. I said when we came back, Sky had a bunch of new laws that got passed that go into effect as of yesterday. It could affect all of us. Yeah.
Now, the big ones that everybody has been talking about involve cell phones and driving. Now, I was hearing lots of stuff that those laws took effect yesterday, but what I read today is actually the laws in regards to driving and cell phone don't take effect until January the 1st. That is January the 2nd. July the 1st. Uh-huh. Yeah. Yeah. What? Right? I know. You're right. Because, yeah, I read it three different places because I thought it took effect yesterday. And I was getting all ready with my Bluetooth and whatever, but the two laws are talking on a cell phone while driving. Yeah. You now have to use the hand-free thing like the Bluetooth or whatever you've got, but you can't be, you know, starting July the 1st. And then the other one is kids under the age of 18 can't be on the cell phone at all, even hands-free stuff. Okay. Yeah, are you double-checking, Mike? Please do, because everyone was telling me, you know, January, January, and from what I read in three different places this morning, July 1st, for both of those cell phone laws. Sweet. Dangerous roads for six more months. Yeah.
So just keep in the back of your mind. It'll take me a while. Yeah, Sean says he can corroborate that. So keep in the back of your mind. In July, you need the Bluetooth. And if you're under 18, no sort of talking on the phone while you're driving at all, even Bluetooth. No, that one's only going to happen. They pull you over. Like they pull you over for something you happen to be over 18. I don't think that they're going to indiscriminately just start looking for people talking on their cell phones and go, I wonder if that person looks under 18 to me. Yes, I'll pull them over. It's only if they're pulling you over for something else. And they saw you on the cell phone. Right. But then there are a lot of laws that took effect yesterday. What if I'm just checking my voicemail? No, Eddie. I'm not talking to somebody. Is there a voicemail stipulation? No, no. You cannot use your cell phone. Can I text? No, no, Eddie. Everything has to be hands-free. What if I can use something else? Can I check my email on it? No, none of this applies, please. Okay, so new laws that take... Surf the web? Please stop. New laws that... Can I pass gas into the cell phone as a funny message to my brother? Yeah, that I know you can do. I think you can do that. That will never be illegal. This is America, isn't it? Hello. It better be illegal or I'm getting put to death if that is illegal. Why don't you just go to Canada?
That's true. You can do it in Canada. You can do anything there. But you choose death. Yeah. Look at my brother Steve. Oh, look. It's a message from Mike. Again. How many times of that? Just a little one, too. That's right. Okay. It's all I can muscle. Really? You know, it's like five seconds of silence and then... Because you were waiting so long. Right. And it went away. You got a dial. You have to wait. By the time you could hear the message, and then you're like, oh, is it there? It wasn't as funny as I'd hoped. As you're dialing, you're like set. You're ready to go. But by the time you get, hey, this is Steve. I can't come to the phone right here. You're like, hurry. Come on. And it kind of goes back up in you. Are we really having this talk right now? Bro. Are we really? Oh, like you don't know what I'm talking about, Sean. Well, I do know what you're talking about. That's what I mean. Are we all adults here? I know, but. And then it's lost forever. Yeah, and then you're like, dang it. I have to wait. Dang it. And then when you're ready again, what are you going to do? Call back? Like your point's lost at that point. That's why. So then you call Rob. No, that's why you need next help. I can't believe it.
This is really grossing me out. So, the new laws. Yeah, yeah, yeah. New laws. They all say the same thing. July 1st. July 1st. So, July 1st for the cell phone, hands-free, all that. 20 bucks for a first offense. 50 bucks for a second. Right. Okay. So, stuff. That's not bad. That's not bad? No. It's not. I mean, think about 20 bucks. It's worth it. Yeah. So, it is worth it. You guys are just going to roll with it. For Sky, very few things are actually worth $20 a cash. She's like, what? You give up. That's a $20 phone call. Never part with a Jackson. Ever. I need toilet paper. Mr. Jackson, if you're nasty. That's right. Oh, my God. Okay, so do you want to hear the new laws that took effect or not? Or do you want to talk about parking for another hour? Oh, that's gross, guys. Grow up. Okay, so starting yesterday, you are no longer allowed to smoke if there are minors inside your car. You cannot smoke cigarettes with children in the car. What? Can you imagine how filthy that was in the first place? You have kids in your car, you're smoking a cigarette. Well, it doesn't stipulate.
This is smoking. But yeah, this is another one of those ones that they can't specifically pull you over for that. But if they pull you over for something else, you can be fined up to $100 for that one. A new law went into effect in regards to gift cards, which is really cool. They now say that if your gift card has a balance of less than $10, they can give you cash for it. So instead of them making you go down to like 25 cents on your gift card, you know, if it's under $10, they're now obligated by law to give you cash. I guess some people were really upset about it. That's crazy. Arnold's not messing around. Nope. Why? Why were they mad? Like, what was the point? I don't get it. I don't know, but I've been peeved when you, like, get down to $1.50 on a gift card. I've got $1.14 on my Barnes & Noble card. Right? I'm pissed off. What am I supposed to do with this? What do I do? I can't buy a book. No. You know how much Freakonomics costs? Not $1.14. You're still kidding.
Candy at the counter. Thanks. I'll take this Snoopy bookmark. Yeah. Thanks, Barnes and Noble. Even then I owe you 45 cents, which I don't have. Whatever. What a pain. I'm making it a law. Nice. Way to go, Governator. You're welcome. Starting today, minimum wage goes up to $8 an hour. Wow. Congratulations, Seth. You are on fire tonight, buddy. Making money. Okay, so other stuff. You're not allowed to buy anything that shields your license plate from red light cameras, Toluse cameras, anything like that. Oh, I almost got some of that stuff. Yeah, those are now banned for sale. It's spray. They sell this spray and all my... car magazines that I read. They sell this spray you can spray on your license plate and when they take a picture of your license plate it's reflecting so much that they can't read your license plate. So that's now illegal in California. They raised the fines for parking in a disabled parking spot. Wait a second. Think about it. Think about it. How are they going to catch you? It's true.
They go, oh, look, it's a Chevy Nova. You got any more of that spray? You know what I'm saying, Skye? So you can't tell that you have the spray on? No, it's clear. Only the camera can detect it? It's clear. I don't know. I'm not going to risk it, Mike. Me either. I'm not that guy. I would never. Me either. What's the website? So fines have now gone up for parking in disabled parking spots and handicapped. parking spaces. Unless you're just going to run in and run out. Unless you're Britney Spears. First-time drunk drivers who cause fatal accidents will no longer be able to plead ignorance to avoid gross vehicle manslaughter, vehicular manslaughter, or second-degree murder convictions. Some health stuff changed this year. Hospitals will have to provide hearing tests for newborn babies. Why? They just say more than 100,000 kids are born every year with their hearing not being tested. And so they're now making it a thing that they need to do. That's smart. Yeah. You have to? You must now stick little headphones on your infant baby and go beep. The hospital will have to provide hearing tests for newborn children. You're smart. Weird. I think that's smart. Yeah, I know. You're smart. My grandma's first child was born deaf. It just depends on how they do it.
Like if they honk a car horn or something. Like if they have like one of those little rubber on the end of it. I'm fine with that. Walk up behind it. Hey! Hey! Baby! Can you hear me now? I just want to know how they do that. Yeah, I don't know how they do it either. Let's see. Local governments cannot force landlords to refuse to rent to illegals. This is kind of on the heels of what Escondido was trying to do. So they say no one can do that. Contractors cannot refuse gay or disabled customers. Contractors cannot refuse gay or disabled customers? Yeah. Why? They used to? Maybe they did. I don't know. This is pathetic. Tanning salons are now required to get written permission for kids 14 years or younger. Really? To use a tanning salon, you've got to get parental permission slip or whatever. A new husband who wants to take his wife's last name can now declare that intention on a county-issued marriage license rather than having to go through separate paperwork. You can declare that when you get married that you want to take your wife's last name. Who does that?
Idiots. Why is that? You can, but who is that guy? Little Sunshine here didn't have her way these days. What do you mean? I don't know what you mean. If she got married today, you don't think there would be a discussion? I think she was the same woman then than she is now. Yeah, we had the discussion back then. You what? Oh, my gosh. Are you kidding? I rest my case. No, you did not. No, you did not. No, we cannot. No, that's not. I don't believe you. And this is where I really get upset. You did not. That's not true. Is that true? It is true. I told you guys this before. You never heard this story? You discussed with your husband him taking your name? Yes. Why? Why? You brought that up? Yeah. Why? Because there's not... Because I'm me. Hello. Shut up. Because there's not what? His last name, the significance isn't really there. He took the last name of his mother's second husband who he hasn't seen or talked to in like 15 years. So it's not his biological father's name. It's not...
the man he considers his father's name. So it really, the name has no ties in the family. You really brought it up. Yeah, and so I was thinking, why shouldn't we have a name that our children can trace? How did you bring that up? How did you bring that up? Why didn't you go for it? Well, we talked about, and then we started talking about hyphenating the names. And then he was like, that's going to be too long for a football jersey. And then I was like, he's not playing football. Thank you. And we know her son isn't going to if she has anything to say about it. How did you bring it up? No, we cannot. No, no, no. How? I don't even remember. It wasn't like anything. It's nothing we had to have a summit about. Hey, what would you think about taking my last name when we get married? What would you think of that? And he was like, I don't know. Maybe that sounds really good. Yeah, maybe. And you're like, well... Well, we talked about a lot of things. And I said, okay, well, do you think it would be a good thing to change our last name to who your current stepfather is? Because that is really who his father figure is and has been. And I said, maybe we should take his name. Because I'm taking the name of some dude that I don't know. I've never met. You're taking your husband's name. Yeah. You're taking your husband's name. But he got the name from some... Doesn't matter.
But it's not even his birth name. It doesn't matter. It's not even the name of his father. It doesn't matter. It's his name. I know you like him. I love him. I love him. So there's nobody else in the family with his name. It's just us and his random name. Okay, it begins now. But it's him. It is him. It's his name. It's your own history. Wait a second. On a piece of paper, yes. It's his name. Oh, you are the worst person on the planet. Even in 08. Not in 08. We're friends in 08. I don't know. No, we're friends in 08. I rescind. We're friends in 08. Let's stop. I don't want to get upset. Okay. Too late. Thank you. Is that it? Real quick, Mike, companies cannot require microchips to be planted in their employees. Knock it off. Segway riders who drive recklessly on sidewalks, it'll be easier to ticket them. You can no longer...
poop on tables at cafes. Now against the law. For a band to consider themselves the real deal, they have to have at least one original surviving member of the band to use the name in touring or sales. That's a lie. No. You have to have at least one original member, otherwise you have to be called a tribute group. This is on the law books. You cannot propose in bedrooms anymore. Somebody's going to jail. You guys get a lot of calls every morning that people will pick on Skye. The fact that I'm just like a social butterfly, I'm all over the place. The Mikey Show's on. You took a second, you thought about it. Sheboygan. Uh-huh. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's 9-19. The lawyer for the two survivors of the tiger attack in San Francisco claimed that the zoo waited over a half hour before calling 911. Wow. The Rose Bowl yesterday. Scintillating. USC beat Illinois 49-17. What about the Sugar Bowl? Sugar Bowl, Georgia beat Hawaii 41-10. What about the Smokable? The Smokable what? Sky beat. Yeah. There was only one good bowl game yesterday. Capital One Bowl, Michigan and Florida. Wow, it was a great game. 41-35. Let's see. Cotton Bowl, Missouri, Arkansas, right? Who cares? Missouri won.
Outback Bowl, Tennessee, Wisconsin. Bob Olinger, the only one that watched that game. 21-17. Who cares? Gator Bowl. Texas Tech upset Virginia 31-28. And tonight's a Fiesta Bowl. Yeah, West Virginia versus Oklahoma. West Virginia doesn't even have a head coach. So, I don't know how that's going to work. Weird. In the NHL, they played outside yesterday. Did you get a chance to watch any of that? Uh-uh. Yeah, there's only the second time in NHL history that teams played outdoors in an outdoor event. And they did it in Buffalo at Ralph Wilson Stadium. And it was snowing, so I was like, man, that's got to be hard to skate on. They were constantly bringing out the Zamboni and cleaning up the ice. But there were 70,000 people there showed up. It was crazy. That's crazy! Yeah, because it's different. Yeah. Let's see. So here's a bunch of stuff that happened in 07. Some stuff that you may remember or you may not remember happening in 07. Who could forget Ellen's famous cry over Iggy the dog, cut one. I was trying to do a good thing. And because I did it wrong, those people went and took that dog out of their home and took it away from those kids.
And I feel totally responsible for it. I'm so sorry. And I'm begging them to give that dog back to their family. I just want the family to have the dog. It's not their fault. It's my fault. I shouldn't have given the dog away. Just please bring the dog back. That's fine. Thank you. Who could forget Kanye West throwing a fit backstage after not winning at the VMAs. Cut three. That's Kanye because he didn't win at the VMAs. He's just a little bitter. He got really mad. Now this one we all remember. Mike Gundy. My favorite. Oklahoma State coach. It's garbage. He went off on a newspaper writer.
Who wrote a negative column about their backup quarterback, Bobby Reed. And he got really mad because they were writing about a young kid. Cut four. Here's all that kid did. He goes to class. He's respectful to the media. He's respectful to the public. And he's a good kid. And he's not a professional athlete. And he doesn't deserve to be kicked when he's down. Your child goes down the street and somebody makes fun of him. Because he dropped a pass in a pickup game? Or says he's fat? And he comes home crying to his mom? You don't understand. That's why I don't read the newspaper. Because it's garbage. When you let it come out, it's garbage. You tell them. That's so awesome. We need to save. That's why I don't read the newspaper, too. And anytime anybody on the show doesn't know something, that's what we'll play.
It comes home crying to his mom. It's garbage. It's garbage. That's where we got those famous, famous quotes that we play here on the monkey shows. Good times. Who could forget Dan Hawkins from the University of Colorado. Press conference. Parents sent a letter complaining about the amount of playing time. Actually, complaining about the amount of time players get off. It wasn't enough time. The mother didn't think that her son was getting to have enough time off. And wrote a letter to Coach Hawkins. University of Colorado head coach. Can you imagine? You're going to Colorado. You're playing football for the University of Colorado. And your mom. writes a letter to your head coach complaining about the amount of time off you get. Well, this is what Coach Hawkins had to say. Cut five. Well, we gave him a week at the start of the semester rather than the end, but here's my point, okay? No. Your position, Coach. No, Bob. I understand your position, Coach Hawkins, but my boy cuts.
When he was playing in junior high and when he was playing in high school, I had a very good relationship with all those coaches. And those coaches had an open-door policy, and I used to call them weekly. I used to call them weekly, and we'd talk about things like scholastics. We would talk about his scholastics, also talk about our goals and try to attain those goals for Jesse. And so I have to tell you, I'm disappointed. That you're taking this. Well, go play intramurals, Sam. Go play intramurals. It's Division I football, man. I think you should reconsider and give all those boys an extra week. It's a month. It's fine if you're going to yell in Division I. Go play intramurals. Hang on a second. Jesse, you're going to play intramurals. What are intramurals?
What does that mean, intramurals? What is that? I know when I started going to Cal State San Marcos, I was part of the first freshman class, so they didn't really have sports established yet. So what they would do there was intramural sports. So you would play against other schools, but I don't think it would count for any sort of... It's just fun time playing. Yeah, so you're just playing for fun. Right, funsies. It's cute. Do you guys remember... Now, this didn't happen in 07, but we got a hold of it in 07, where De Niro was filming a TV commercial and he got mad. Oh, yeah. Do you remember that? Yeah, that's great. Well, this is something that you've got to understand about Robert De Niro. He's not, even when he's acting in movies, he doesn't emit, emote, is that the word? Emote. He doesn't emote a lot. He's not real animated, just as an actor. And so he's doing this TV commercial. And that's, you know, and I got to say, in it, he sounds very unenthusiastic. There's no doubt. But he sounds like he's reading. But the director or whoever, actually, it turned out to be, I think we found out. It turned out to be.
An agency executive, like the advertising agency executive. It wasn't even the director of the commercial. It was some knucklehead who decides that he's going to give advice to Robert De Niro on how Robert De Niro should be emoting. That's like me giving advice to Michael Jordan how to make a shot. Exactly. For Tiger Woods. Yeah. He's going to be, like, yeah. Like, really? I'm good. Really? Cut six. When we created Tribeca, we wanted to capture all the emotion, all the energy, and all the power of a movie. See for yourself, Tuesday on Fox. Do another? Yes, that's all right. Good. I'm sorry, I got, that's energetic. You don't know what you're talking about. Yes, excuse me. Tuesday on Fox. No, sorry, I'm not selling cars, okay? Wow. Excuse me, that's energetic. You don't know what you're talking about. Why don't you shut your mouth? What'd you say to me? Shut your mouth. Come here, you. Really? I'm not admitting? Come here. Come over here. Let me have a talk with you. Come here. How about I shove this pistol down your mouth? Are you excited now? Is this exciting for you? Am I giving you what you want now? Are you excited?
Do I excite you? Why don't you bite the gun? Bite the gun. Is that good? Are you excited? Yeah. Bite on it there. How about I pull the trigger until it goes click? How about that? How about Alec Baldwin's call that he left on his... Oh, God. Yes. I missed this. Yes. His 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, disappointed him. And we all know that we've all disappointed our dad at one time or another. Yeah. It's just a fact of life. You're going to disappoint your dad at some time. But did your dad leave you the following message on your voicemail? Cut eight. I'm going to get on a plane, or I'm going to come out there for the day, and I'm going to straighten your ass out when I see you. Do you understand me? I'm going to really make sure you get it. Okay, well. Okay, Dad. We got the audio mixed up. That was Ashley's voicemail to Rob over the Christmas break. I thought it was familiar. When Ashley found out that he had gotten engaged without telling her. Let's hear that audio again. Well, I'm going to come out there for the day, and I'm going to straighten your ass out when I see you. Do you understand me? I'm going to really make sure you get it. Wow. Wow, Rob.
Better straighten up, Rob. She took a pretty hard line on you. Who could forget Miss Teen, South Carolina? Oh, greatest of all time. Yeah, one of our favorites. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Cut nine. Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can't locate the U.S. on a world map. Why do you think this is? I personally believe... that US Americans are unable to do so.
Because some people out there in our nation don't have maps. And I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and the Iraq, everywhere such as. The what? The Iraq. I believe that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa and should help the Asian countries. So we will be able to build up our future. Well, then, thank you very much. Really enjoyed it. We enjoyed your answer. That was Miss Teen, South Carolina. Obviously, a little thrown off, a little distracted. Who could forget when Paris Hilton came out of jail and went on the Larry King show. I wish I could. And started to talk to him about some of her writings. Her writings in prison. Cut 14. Okay, this is one of the notes that I wrote. They say when we reach a crossroad or turning point in life, it really doesn't matter how we got there, but what do we do next after we get there? Usually we arrive there by adversity. And it is then and only then that we find out who we truly are and what we're truly made of. It's a process, a gift, and a journey. And if we can travel it alone, although the road may be rough at the beginning, we find the ability to walk it.
A way to start fresh again. It's neither a downfall nor a failure, but a new beginning. And I just felt like this is a new beginning for me, just being in jail. And I just used it as a journey to figure out myself and who I am and what I want to do. And there's just so much more to me than what people think. I don't know if you remember, but some lady claims that she wrote that to her while she was in prison. Yeah, it's like an inspirational letter to keep Paris going while she's in jail. Yeah, she claims that Paris got her letter, read it, and then read it on TV and claimed it as her own. Yes. Whether that's true, we don't know, but that's what this lady says. Does anybody remember David Hasselhoff eating the hamburger? That was a hamburger? That was a hamburger. But wait, it didn't look like a hamburger. Very embarrassing moment for David Hasselhoff, drunkenly eating a hamburger while his daughter videotaped him, cut 11. You're going to stop. Promise? No. How old was this kid? I'm like 13 years old. Yeah. Super young. Something around there. When we come back, we have the audio of Allah Abdul when she did that interview where they said that she was wasted during the interview. Oh, yeah.
And what did she say? Like, what was her reason? The delay. Yeah, oh, the delay. Oh, there was a delay, and it made me sound wasted. Obligerated. Yes, so obligerated. When we get back, we'll play you that. This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. And now... A moment at the CarMax near you. So this used car is guaranteed? Absolutely. CarMax inspects and reconditions our cars, so only the finest make our lot. If I take it home and find something wrong with it, you'll give me a refund? That's right. For real? Sure. Aren't you worried I might bring it back? I'll let you in on our secret. CarMax can guarantee the quality of our cars because we thoroughly inspect and recondition them to begin with. So... Most people don't bring them back. Don't really need to. Now open. Balboa Avenue exit off the 805. CarMax. The way Carvine should be. Some traditional dealers are saying they're no haggle like CarMax. But are they really no haggle on everything? At CarMax, you start with a great low price. The fact that I'm just like a social butterfly. I'm all over the place. The Mikey Show's on. You took a second. You thought about it. Sheboygan. Uh-huh. Rock 105.3. It's 919.

This is the Mikey Show. You've given everyone a great laugh and a great way to start my day, so we thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Rock 105.3. And now, a moment at the CarMax near you. So most people don't bring them back. Don't really need to. Now open. Balboa Avenue exit off the 805. CarMax. The way car buying should be. Some traditional dealers are saying they're no haggle like CarMax. But are they really no haggle on everything? At CarMax, you start with a great low price. I said it's KIOZ San Diego. It's KIOZ and the first one in 08 hit it. There it is. I saw it. You saw it? Okay, so you want to hear this news anchor? That's great. We're going through some of the best stuff that we heard in 07.
This was a TV anchor named Jay Warren, Roanoke, Virginia. He's on the air. He's telling a story about a car crash that killed three people. And then this happened. Cut 42. A fire crash leaves three people dead. Police in Nebraska say a rental truck carrying two people lost control across the median and collided head on with a semi truck. Both trucks burst into flames and witnesses say there were several explosions. Excuse me. The two people in the railroad truck and the driver of the semi. This is a sad story. Excuse me. We're killed. Crews say they had fires contained in about 10 minutes. Early in our careers, Eddie and I used to do similar things to each other. It was when a lot of the times it was when we worked in Rochester on different shows. And we would do things in the glass.
That were inappropriate. But funny. But funny to try to make the other laugh. We do that to Boston Rob now when he does commercials on the air. He'll do a live testimonial and we'll go up to the glass and do stuff to the glass to try to get him to laugh. It's to make him more of a professional. Yeah, make him stronger. Yeah. Whatever doesn't make him laugh makes him stronger. Right. That's the saying. That's how it goes. Well said. Mikey Show. Well, thank you. Appreciate the phone call. Well said. All right. There's a bunch of stuff. We can do some more audio, and I will get back to it. But there's a bunch of stuff that I haven't told you about that I want to tell you about. For instance, the murder rate in San Diego went down 15%. No seven. Thank you. I was in charge of that. Thank you very much. Congrats, Mike. You did a great job with that. Well, I appreciate you saying it and recognizing it. Very nice. Well, from what to what? In 2006, there were 68 murders. Last year, 2007, 58 murders. So that's good. Like you said, the homicide rate overall went down 15%, but gang killings, they were on the rise. That's why come I'm not in a gang.
Yeah, from 2006 to 2007, gang killings went up. I had to get out of it. They went up 56%. Did you get jumped out? I started getting afraid. Yeah, scary stuff. No, we did this weird thing where they threw pieces of peanut butter on bread at me. They just put peanut butter on bread and threw it at me. I had to walk down a corridor with men, and they threw peanut butter. That's how you got out? Peanut butter bread at me. When you're like. Crunchy. Oh, ouch. You get some scratches? That hurts. Bus fare in San Diego going up to two bucks in 08. Yep, two bucks today. Sky and Eddie are friends in 08. Yep, that's another two statistics. So far, not so good. What? I've been awesome to you. You've laughed at me. Did you not hear about giving your last name to your husband? What does that have to do with you? That's terrible. Makes me not want to be your friend. Well, you not sticking up for me makes me not want to be your friend. I stuck up for you. You laughed at me when that guy called me ugly. You laughed at me. He didn't call you ugly. Tears were coming out of your eyes. He didn't call you ugly. I was so upset. He didn't call you ugly. What do you want? You want the tears to come out of my eyes? He thought that Stain's lyrics were about you being ugly. Right.
Sky. Yeah, I mean. That's what the stupid listener said. That's what he thought the lyrics of the song were. And Eddie thought that was hysterical. He was wrong. A good friend would defend me. I was laughing that he made such a dumb mistake. That's right. Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Kidman is not pregnant. She's denying rumors that she's pregnant. Yes. Through her people. Her people have said that's 100% false. False. False. You're telling me a big fat lot. That she must have had like 30 babies by now, if you believe all the tabloids. False. Talk shows are back tonight. Yeah. Some of them have writers. Some of them don't have writers. Yeah, this is pretty crazy. I want to know who does and who doesn't, and I want to hear the material from those who do not tomorrow. So Letterman's company. Worldwide Pants. They're the only ones who worked out a private agreement with the Writers Guild. So he's going to pay them. Yeah. So Worldwide Pants does the Letterman show and also Craig Ferguson show. So those two shows will have writers. The rest of them won't. Leno, Kimmel, O'Brien, they won't have writers. So it'll be harder for them to book guests because
Basically, you're crossing a picket line if you go on Leno, Kimmel, or O'Brien. Whereas if you go on Letterman, you're not crossing a picket line because he's made a deal with the writers. Huckabee's on Leno tonight. I'm going to tape it. I'm not actually going to use tape. No? No. Weird. Now, videotape does your VCR. I'm going to set up the VCR to tape tonight. Is it beta or VHS? It's VHS, and I'm going to put it on SL so the quality is better. Yeah, well, you're going to have to stop the blinking 12. Yeah, to set the time to make sure it's going right. Did you guys hear about the six-year-old girl in Texas that got into this contest where you write an essay? to win hannah montana tickets and she won because she said her daddy died in iraq oh it was all made up no no dad in iraq died and they found out about it and it was and the little girl was in cahoots with her mother it wasn't even it wasn't even uh you know like the little girl's idea like the little girl did it without her mother knowing like when i first read the story
I thought that's what it was. Like, oh, this little girl was being bad and she wanted Hannah Montana tickets so much she made up a story. No, her mother put it together with her. Yeah. It ties back to the parents. Oh, boy. And her mom. The parents, Mike. And her mom is still defending it. Her mom's quote is, quote, we never said this was a true story. We do essays all the time. My daughter does essays at school all the time. It never did say that it had to be true, end quote. So, in other words, she's teaching her daughter something awful. And then, with the opportunity to teach her daughter something from the awful, she decides to be more awful. No, it's a creative story, Mike. Have you ever read Harry Potter? Do you think that really happened? I heard it was an essay idea. Yeah, and that's where it started. Then that J.K. Rowling was trying to win a contest. Yeah, but the company that did the award and tickets to Hannah Montana has rescinded the gift and gave it to like the second place. That's good. Jennifer Garner was named West Virginian of the Year. Oh, dang it. I was in the running for that.
Yeah, I wonder who else was in the running for West Virginia. I'm so upset I didn't win. Yeah, they said she was selected for her dedication, hard work, and service as an ambassador and role model. Bad acting. What? She's a bad actor. You're just mad at the kingdom. Eddie, have you heard that Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush are engaged? What? Have you heard that? That can't be true. I don't know. I heard it. Did he propose in his bedroom? Yes. He pulled her into the bedroom as all romantic proposals go. It works. I think it's hot in 08. That's the thing. It's kind of, you know, you may make fun of it, but it's actually, you know, it's really been the popular thing this year. I've heard that. It works every time. You know, sunset cliffs or on your comforter. Yeah. Rob, if you didn't hear him. On your Red Sox comforter. Yes, Boston Rob proposed to his fiancée over the break, and he proposed in the bedroom. He said, hey, listen, to each their own, you know, maybe it doesn't have to be a romantic setting to be romantic. Yeah, it doesn't. It doesn't. It could still be romantic. It's just, you know, different. That's all. Eddie said the bathroom was occupied. No. So are they engaged, Sky?
Well, according to PerezHilton.com, they are. So who knows, but they've been photographed, you know, holding hands, hanging out together. They're definitely an item of some sort, but neither of them are officially commenting if they are or are not engaged. That makes me very sad. That makes me uncomfortable, and I don't know why. Because the Kardashians are monsters. Right, that might be it. That's probably why. Yeah, that could be. They are. That's it. We're almost done with everything. Wow. 570-1053 is our phone number beginning and end of every show. You can call in about anything you want. About anything you want, cowboy. Did you guys hear about that guy that was drunk driving in Oceanside? Cops chased him all the way down to Coronado, over the Coronado Bridge. He stops in the middle of the bridge. They let a police dog out to get after him. He jumps over the bridge. The dog goes with him. No, no, no. The dog died. He didn't. He actually grabbed the dog. Oh, he did? Jumped off the bridge. Oh, man. Yeah. He grabbed the dog. He was taking the dog with him. Are you sure? I don't like this. I don't. Yeah, it says the driver actually lifted the dog up and then jumped over the side. Oh, my God. So both the driver and the dog went over. Really? Yeah, that's the way I've heard it and read it. Here's the dog. Now, here's the dog's name is Striker. Yeah. And here's the dog's part. Ashley's really upset. She used to train police dogs.
You know, I train dogs for people in wheelchairs. Cuts 79. It is a big loss. He was a great asset to the department and everything that he did and accomplished and that we relied on him for. He was very good at finding the bad guy. Finding the suspect that was on the run that we were looking for. Guy didn't die, the dog did. What a dog. Gosh, that makes me mad. Yeah, so the guy, the suspected drunk. driver, is in serious condition in the hospital with a collapsed lung, but like Mikey said, the dog didn't make it. So is that his only injury? A collapsed lung! Well, no, but he jumped off the Coronado Bridge. Yeah, that's true. What did he land in? He died. I didn't know you could survive. He jumped into a jumpy, like a big jumpy? To me, I believe it's the walk. They say it was a 200-foot plunge. It wasn't a jumpy? Yeah, you sure it wasn't a jumpy? Check! 200 foot drop. I can't believe he survived. Maybe he jumped into one of those garbage barges that you see in the movies. Yeah, and he wanted to get R2 to let him out of there. It's garbage! Maybe. Maybe because he was drunk it had something to do with him not controlling his muscles and it made him... Get me out of here! R2, quickly! This is no time. I already tried that. You're going to get us all killed! R2! Can you put that away?
What do you mean put it away? What is he saying? Put it away. Han, when he jumped in, he starts firing. He's like, yeah, I tried that. Put that away and you're going to get us all killed. That's dangerous, dude. You start shooting a blaster off inside of a garbage chute. It starts ricocheting everywhere. It's going to go everywhere. It's crazy. Gets shot in the head with a... Anywhere! Can you imagine how bad it must have stunk in that thing? Well, then you got the thing swimming around in there. Scary. Who knows what else? Eddie, question. Yeah. Was that... General garbage from the death star, or was there any sewage lines that were drawn into that? Because they were in water. Was there any sewage lines? Well, I think it was garbage from the detention level, Mike, specifically. And you know what kind of stuff goes on in there. The water was in there, so it made me think, is that sewage from the death star? I would say from the detention level, yes. It's garbage! It was like bad guy stormtrooper poop. Mm-hmm. Oh. Yuck. Wouldn't want to be in that either. No. Wookiees. Possible Wookiees use that bathroom? Well, I'm sure Chewy probably had to relieve themselves a little. Awful. It's awful. They should have made those Wookiees wear diapers. Oh.
Come on. It's not cool, man. I saw a documentary of the making of Star Wars, this guy. And those Wookiees drag their tails across a carpet sometimes and they get worms. That's just a stereotype. They do. They can take antibiotics. Yeah, stereotypes sometimes are based on reality. They get worms and they drag their butts across a carpet. Ew. The Wookiees do. Not true. No. That's not true. Ew. I saw it in the making of. No, you didn't. Wookiee got worms. No. Wookiee got worms. P1 Razorback. P1 Razorback, you there? Yes, sir. Go ahead, you're on the air. Hey, Eddie, I just wanted to see what's your take on the Chargers game this Sunday, playing in the rain and all the hostility with the dirty plays and stuff. Playing in the rain? Do you know something we don't? It's supposed to rain on Sunday. Did you travel into the future? Is it going to rain on Sunday? Have you heard that? Yeah, like a storm's moving in. I think tomorrow, and we're supposed to get a nice chunk of rain over the weekend. Come on. On Sunday? I know, in the playoff game. That's all right. Damn it! I think that's better for the Chargers. Why? Well, they have a great running game, which is what we do.
and it will cause Phillip Rivers to probably throw shorter, more accurate passes and plays into our defense. So it's actually an advantage, I would think. Okay. Phillip looks like he's 12. He really does. He's out of control, that guy. He really gets mad, right? He is out of control. He's real mad, such yelling. Dude, did you see him last week? Well, you know, obviously there was this stuff that went on in Denver, but then last week yelling at the Oakland crowd. It's like, that's not a crowd you want to get riled up to. A friend of mine goes, a friend of mine yesterday goes, is a big Charger fan. And he's a really intelligent guy. He goes, I'm starting to not like Phillip Rivers. And I go, really? And I go, is it the temper thing? And he goes, mm-hmm. And I didn't even want to hear anymore. Because I know that he can take me there if we have the discussion. Well, what do you mean? Just because a guy who's only been in the league a couple years is calling out other quarterbacks? You're going to get me there. All pros like Champ Bailey?
You think that that's bad for his image? It's all right. He's got a fire. On the sideline going, bye-bye. Stop it, Eddie. Don't do it. He's won a Super Bowl, so he can do that. No, you have. Oh, yeah. He's just emotional. You mean guys that have been in the league? Shows he's got a fire. Like Brett Favre would never do something like that? You mean like that? Oh, no. You're making me turn. P1 Talon. Hey, good morning, guys. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. Hey, I just want to tell you guys a little bit about this last Sunday at SEAVS. Okay. The P-1 Army got together. We all went there. We only planned to have, like, ten people show up. Uh-huh. But at the height of everything, we had about 35 people packed in the back room watching the HDTV Chargers beating the Raiders. Nice. That's cool. And when they called our table, they said, P-1 Army, your party of 20, you're... It was really awesome. That's cool. I wish I had that audio. Yeah. I would love to hear on a loudspeaker them going, P1 Army, party of 20, your table is ready. You can use it in promos. Yeah, it was great. Thanks, guys. Happy New Year. Thanks. 20 hamburgers at sales. What is that, $4,000 or $5,000 at least? P1 Fern is on the line. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's up? Hey, happy New Year, you guys. Yeah, you too.
Hey, a quick comment about the dog and the guy that jumped off the bridge. Right. I was on that bridge. I was stuck on the bridge. I got on it right when they pretty much stopped traffic. And they only stopped traffic going one way, by the way, which was kind of crazy. And everybody was getting out of their cars. And it was like a great time on the bridge because everyone's dressed up for New Year's, you know. And they're all taking pictures, standing on top of their cars. Guys are getting out of their cars trying to hit on other girls that were out of their cars. People are taking pictures with downtown in the background. Imagine guys taking the opportunity to hit on girls in their car. They know what's going on. Nothing stops men. It doesn't matter. Nothing. Wow. Thank you for the call. Wow. I got to play this one audio clip before we go. And this was from earlier in the year. A lady in Wisconsin that called 911 looking for a baby. She thought she was calling Nanny 911. Cut 66. 911, what's the address of your emergency? South Hill Road. What's going on there? I need a nanny. Yeah, this is a nanny 911. I need a baby pair and some friends. Yeah. I'm not understanding what you need.
I just need a babysitter. Okay, 911 does not provide a babysitter, ma'am. Okay. Thank you. This is a nanny 911, if I've ever heard one. Yeah, it's an a-nanny 911. This is a nanny 911. I need a babysitter. And some friends. Please. And some friends. And some French toast. Yeah. Some teeth. Oh, my gosh. That's crazy. We'll send someone right away, ma'am. Right. Common sense over here, too. P1 Quimby. Hey. What's going on? Good morning. What's happening? Well, you know, this year, this holiday, pretty bittersweet. Yeah. But there is a shining light at the end of my tunnel. What is it? That is American Idol. Oh, that's right. Coming back.
I just want to know, does Ashley happen to know maybe the San Diego tryouts? Ashley, do you know when they're going to show the San Diego tryouts? I do not. Ashley went and tried out for American Idol. Yes. And American Idol is back on TV in like eight days or something. Say what? January 15th. January 15th. And so, I don't know. Maybe we'll see Ashley on TV. Maybe we won't. We've got to watch and find out. Are you allowed to talk about it after your episode airs and you can tell us all about the tryout? As of right now, I just can't talk about it. I can't say anything. So that's all I can say for now. No, they said they'd assassinate her if she said anything. I signed my life away. So as of right now... I got nothing. Okay. We keep looking for you in the promo. Hey, you just stay tuned. Well, listen. They mentioned that there was a huge turnout and that San Diego may be the first one that they show. Oh, really? We'll have to see. Yeah, that's what I read. I don't know. I read she made it. I read she's on the show. I read that. I read she's in the finals already. Yeah. Like they bypassed the whole top 24 and then just put her through. I read that there was like a romance with...
Randy, what's his name? Where did you read all this? I read that she turned Ryan Seacrest straight. Yeah, she turned him out. I read that. I read that she did that too. And then I read he changed his mind. Well, his true feelings came out. That's right. Mikey Show. I'm homophobic. Hi. That's P1, I'm homophobic. Mikey Show. Hey, two quick things, Mikey. So good morning. Happy New Year. First, I want to say congratulations to Rob. And second of all, it is so good to have you guys back on the air. This is the first time I've laughed in about the past couple of days. Awesome. Really? Really? Really? Hey, Mike laughed. You know, it's the first time I've laughed in days, really. Yeah, we've all been there. We've been there. All of us have been there, dude. We've all felt that before. That's right. Thank you for the call. All right. Appreciate it. Yeah, Skye said that five minutes after the fires began, Skye. No, it was like three days. It was not three days. Okay, it was two days. It was not two days.
She said that on Monday. She did not. I said that on Tuesday. Thank you, Ashley. I said it on Tuesday. The fire started on Sunday. Face on Thursday. All right. The fire's been going 10 minutes by the time Sky made the announcement. 48 hours. Mikey's show. Stop. Hey, Rob, it's P1 Brian. Oh, what's up, dog? Engage. What the hell? Hold bell and change. What do you want to talk to Mikey about? I'll talk about my old lady. What happened to your Rob impression? Well, I'm getting married now. Totally different. Well, I'm more mature. Oh, it's the mature Rob. It's mature Rob. I didn't know. I didn't recognize it. Anyway. What's up, dude? Hey, what's up, guys? I just want to let you know that story that you were talking about. The guy jumping off Coronado Bridge. Right. I was actually back home up in Ventura at my girlfriend's house. We had the news on it. It came up on the news, and they're showing it up there on the bridge, and the guy actually had a P1 Army sticker on his truck. Really? Yeah, it was kind of trippy. You mean the guy that actually jumped off the bridge? Yeah, they showed his truck. Look what we're doing to people. Oh, jeez. He's upset about Rob, too. Yeah. Oh, wow.
It doesn't surprise me. I mean, everybody listens. Even criminals. Yeah, apparently we're number one with jumpers. Mikey Show. Hey, he does. They're showing. Yeah, I'm looking at it right now on the news. Yeah, Rob has the news footage of it. It's Denver's. CBS4 Denver. Well, that's cool. Send me the link. Yeah, send us the link. Hold on. So the nutty guy that jumped off the bridge was a P1 Army listener. Whoa. Yeah. That's great. Well, it's the truth. It's the truth. It's like, you know, everybody's listening, so what are you going to do? Yeah. Mikey Show. I just got to say, I got to hear at least one of those Sky songs you just put on before you went off on Christmas break. Like what? How about the... We can't do the Christmas ones. We can only break them out at Christmas. We can't do the Oh Holy Night. We can't do the Carol of the Hams. Those have to come back at Christmas time. It's what you look forward to. It's Christmas songs. It's not like you're going to sing Frosty right now. Exactly. But the day we're on after Thanksgiving, the Monday we're back from Thanksgiving, is when we start.
So Monday after Thanksgiving of this year, you'll hear the Carol of the Hams and Oh Holy Night. All of your favorites. It'll be fantastic. All right. We got to get out of here. A couple of things that we didn't talk about today that I want to talk about tomorrow. Sky had a real weird experience Christmas Eve where they just decided that they were going to open presents, which I want to hear about. Ashley. Oh, no. I was just giving you a secret. Sorry. I'm off of the computer. Were you giving me something on the computer that you wanted me to see? It's a hand gesture sign. Oh. But. To. Oh, shit. What do you want me to see? Well, I just put a clip up there for you. What? If you wanted it. And then I thought that I put it. Yeah, this is actually the first time I've laughed. Oh. Like, I don't know, in the past couple days. No. That's touching. Yeah. That was really touching.
That was five minutes after the fire had started that Skye said that. It was two days. It was two full days. Days. You hadn't laughed in those two days. It was scary. Yeah. That makes sense. See? Whatever, dude. So anyway, I want to hear that. Ashley had a really weird Christmas too. Hi. I want to hear about that. We'll hear about Lou Bush ruining the UFC for Eddie. Because Eddie didn't see the fight. Lou Bush ruined it. Talk about that. Of course, your phone calls. So we'll do it all again tomorrow morning. One last call. Mikey's show, last call. Yeah, I want to bring him home. Go ahead, dude. Yeah, I know why he jumped. What did he say? He knows why he jumped? You know why he jumped? Why did he jump? He was tired of sky mispronouncing everything. Oh, that's good. Well, I like the way he said it. Like it rolled off the tongue.
The best way to deliver a joke is slowly. Timing. The best way to deliver a joke is slowly and not really have the joke figured out. You just kind of make it up as you... The reason he jumped is because Skye, when she messes up the... mispronounces it. Tomorrow morning at 5.30 we'll get back together and we'll do this all over again. And something called Cheater's Hotel. And we didn't get to P1 Trivia today, so we'll get to it tomorrow. Somebody can come in the following day and hang out with the Mikey Show. Lovely and talented Missy's up next today on the show. She's got big hair Wednesday. Enjoy. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 530. Mikey Show's out.
