The show opened with Mike noting a deadly tornado in Iowa and previewing the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, then segued into light‑hearted banter about 'nanny nanny boo-boo.' Later, Eddie shared his recurring killer‑whale nightmare, which Sean inadvertently triggered with a misplaced sound effect, prompting the cast to imagine the orcas speaking kindly to him. The program also featured listener calls about what three possessions they’d save in a move, a debate over bridal magazines sparked by Sky’s discovery of a friend’s stash, and a feel‑good story of Tom Hanks rescuing a wedding in Italy.
What happened, in order
Opening tornado and US Open tease
Mike mentions a deadly tornado that hit a Boy Scout camp in Iowa, previews the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson teeing off, and jokes about the phrase "nanny nanny boo-boo".
Nightgown compliment and Sean's camera prank
Mike tells Sky she looks gorgeous in her mom's old nightgown, then reveals Sean changed the camera settings to show only sky, which upsets her.
Eddie's killer whale nightmare
Eddie describes a recurring nightmare of being in a dark wave pool with orcas, and Sean's ill‑timed sound effect triggers his fear.
Orca voices paradigm shift
The cast imagines the orcas speaking friendly lines to Eddie ('Hey, Eddie, we're not here to hurt you') to help him overcome his nightmare.
Staff introductions and roles
Mike introduces Sky as the news girl, Sean as the sound‑effects guy, Ashley as the napper, notes Boston Rob is out, and says Roosevelt Zethian Oates is filling in for Rob.
Black Mountain Ranch vandalism
The crew discusses spray‑paint vandalism in an upscale neighborhood, quoting HOA president Carrie Lee Stone who calls it minor despite estimated $10,000 in damage.
Tone‑deaf karaoke tease and Duff McKagan announcement
The show promotes its tone‑deaf karaoke segment where Ashley sings and listeners guess the song, and announces that Duff McKagan of Velvet Revolver will be a guest.
Padres historic home runs
Khalil Green and Edgar Gonzalez hit back‑to‑back home runs at Petco Park, the first ever for the Padres there, leading to a 4‑1 win over the Dodgers.
Three‑item moving game
Listeners call in to name three irreplaceable items they would take if moving, sparking debate over whether whole collections (e.g., DVDs, Star Wars) count as one item.
Tom Hanks saves Italian wedding
Recounts how Tom Hanks halted Da Vinci Code filming in Rome to escort a bride and her father past the set into their church.

A tornado ripped through a Boy Scout camp in western Iowa yesterday, killing four and injuring 50. U.S. Open kicks off this morning at Torrey Pines. I'm going to keep you updated all morning long. Tiger and Phil tee off just after 8 o'clock. Phil says he's totally prepared. I see the pressure as a challenge. It's a challenge for me to play my best golf this week, and so I've done everything I can preparation-wise, whether it's preparing for the golf course or whether it's preparing my own game, to give me the best opportunity to play the best golf this week. Can we watch it? It starts at, I think the coverage starts on TV at noon. Noon? I think. Like on the big networks? On NBC. Yeah. Well, we'll watch a little bit of it to see what up. I hope it clears up out there. It was kind of cloudy. I know. It never does. It's La Jolla. It's always sucked in. I don't know. I don't know how they're going to do that. I would like to see sunshine out there so that people all over the world get to see how beautiful San Diego is. Get to be jealous. Yeah. Yeah. Nanny, nanny boo-boo. How do you suppose that the term nanny, nanny boo-boo came up? Do you suppose it has something to do with a nanny? No. No?
I think it's just a funny word. Just good. Just works. Just good time. Rolls off the tongue. Yeah. Welcome to the program. And don't forget our phone number, 570-1053. Our text number, 35253. You can either text us or call us. I'm going to tell you right now, Zeth has his work cut out for him today. Oh, no. Be running around. That's right. B-Rob is out with mouth disorder. We'll stop. We'll stop. We've been telling him for two weeks, Guy, you're not going to be feeling up to coming to work. I'm good. I'm good. I'll be good. I'll be good. Well, I wrote him back and I said, I hope you're proud of yourself. I mean, what kind of work ethic is this? So hopefully, I don't know, how long do you guys think it'll be? You should be okay tomorrow. Yeah. I'll be back tomorrow? Yeah. It depends. I mean, hopefully everything went okay. I don't think so. I was out for a week. A week? Like, yeah. You had, like, problems, though, right? Yeah, well, I couldn't take the Vicodin because I was allergic to it. I don't know that. Now, wait a second. It made me sick. Yes. Made you nauseous. Made you nauseous. So I'm allergic. And then I, you know, was on no medication. And then I made the mistake of drinking out of a Jamba Juice. So, like, sucking a straw, which gave me dry sockets. Ew.
I just want to let people know that are new listening to the show, if you have to learn to speak Ashley, if Ashley does not care for something, she's allergic to it. She's allergic to Zeth. No, I like Zeth. She likes him. I'm fine with Zeth. All right. I'm allergic to Mexican food. That's right. She's allergic to a couple of news anchors in town that she watches. She's allergic, you know what I mean? Yeah. 570-1053 is our phone number, and the text is 35253. This Seth is going to be running around today. You're doing great. You're doing good, Seth. You are, man. When you say run... Sante. Sluggishly. So, yeah, we have a lot of stuff to get to today. It's going to be busy. Oh, boy. It's going to be busy. Well, he's got to do his job and Rob's job. Yeah. Sky looks prettier today than maybe... See...
I want to say, okay, I'm just going to say it, and then if she gets upset, then I'll have to deal with it. But I think that's the prettiest I've ever seen her. Holy cow. But see, then she can go, but then she can go, well, wait a second. So does that mean the other times when you said I was pretty that it wasn't that great? No, no, no. That's like I can't find fault in that compliment. That's very nice. Is it, Mike, because she's wearing her mom's old nightgown? Don't tell me that's the deal. What? Don't you remember that beautiful thing? Sky. Don't do that. Model it. It's hot. Oh, hello. You look great. You look really good. Eddie thought it was so creepy when she said that. I didn't know that's what it was. It looks like a top. It's like a longer frilly tank top, but technically actually used to be my mother's lingerie. Okay. No. So I accept your compliment. No. Thank you very much. I feel beautiful today. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, wow. So anything's wrong with that? Yes, there is. I don't see anything like it. Mike, talk to Sean. He upsets me. Sean just changed the camera settings that we all look at so that it is showing sky. And she hates that. You're the one saying she's gorgeous today.
I just want to get a good look. Oh, man, Sean, you're such a perk. Why? Because I like hot chicks? If you wear their mom's nightgown. Hey, that's right up Sean's alley. Weird. It is? Weird. He's into that kind of stuff. Oh, man. He is. I didn't know that. It's true. Sean and I talk about that. It's true. It's true. What's going on? You know what things have been done in that nightgown? Eddie. I'm just saying it's nothing. Sky just gave Eddie a hurt look. It's been washed. You never slept in your parents' bed when you were a kid? No. Oh, yeah, right. Never. If you wash it, it's all good. Okay. Thank you. Oh, man. I used to creep my mom out. I would stand right by the bed when I was scared. And just stare. Just stare. Stand there. That's the best. I thought I would wake her up. That's the best. Creepy as that. I would pry my mom's eyeballs open. You would? Because she, this is when I was like two and she would try to just take a nap because I was a crazy kid and I wouldn't want her to sleep and so she'd be sleeping and I would just start to pry. Who was watching you while she slept? Her eyeballs open. Who was watching you? She would try to be taking a nap with me. She'd fall asleep first. Okay, gotcha. And then next thing she knew, I'm prying her eyeballs open.
Mommy, play with me. My name's Mike. I'm the host of the show. I'm getting real brown, man. I got the... Seriously. You were born that way. Oh, I know. What's your color? Is that the deal? Because I looked at myself the other day for the first time in four years and I went, wow, man. You're very, very Mexican looking. Yeah. Now, I am Mexican, believe it or not. Especially if you're a first time listener from out of town. You're like, wow, that's not that funny. That's kind of a racist comment. But no, really, I'm Mexican. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. I don't know that I'd go that far, Michael. But BMW Encinitas is letting me drive a convertible M3, and so I've been sleeping in it, you know, just staying in the car. I got the top down on that thing all the time, and I'm getting some color in my face. Yeah, I can tell. Put some color in your face. Put some color in your face.
I am 38 years of age. And yesterday we had a guy over to the house who helps us do our financial planning for the future. And he was talking about things. And he is a very, very smart person. He's a very smart person. And I'm not kidding you. I honestly felt like he was speaking Greek. I'm not saying that to be to exaggerate or whatever. It was really like I was listening to Greek. He is a very wise man. And for the most part, I could tell my wife was following it. Thank God. She's smart. She's really smart, though. I felt so embarrassed, man, because with my birthday, A lot of you guys gave me Amazon gift certificates, so I ordered some stuff. So I got a new lens for my camera, and it came in right before he got there. And so the box was sitting in front of me at the dining room table. And so, of course, I don't, you know, and all I can do is focus. And so finally, her and him started to talk about something kind of, you know, back and forth, like a volley. And so I got the box. No, Mike. Mike.
I took out the little instruction manual and I was kind of looking through it a little bit. While the conversation is going on? Dude, I didn't get anything. And I couldn't help it. It was like a force field. I didn't hear you on that. Oh, man. So appropriate. I'm not kidding you. It was like I was 10 years old. I didn't understand. But he's smart, man. He gets it. Eddie is our producer, sports guy. 35 years old, and he is Italian. That's what I got to tell you. Guy's Italian. He had an awful dream, though, about killer whales. Oh, no. Black and whites? I don't want any jokes to be made. Why would we ever? If I'm going to tell this. It's a safe place, Eddie. Please. Ever since I was young, I have recurring nightmares about orcas. Yeah? You're afraid of them. I don't like them. They're scary, and they hurt people. Rarely do they hurt people, though. Eddie just took his headphones off. Why did he do that? Eddie took his headphones off right now, and then he looked at Skye, and the look on his face said, that kind of hurt me. Sean, you know what you're doing. I'm just trying to add to the... Sean, he asked for a safe place, remember?
Sean, you know that scares him. That was my mistake. That was my mistake. He said it was his mistake, Eddie. That was my mistake. Sean was trying to add texture, you know, with audio. That's the job. As a sound effects person. And then he realized, oh, wait a minute. I can't do that particularly. That was a bad call. Wait a second. Hang on a minute. Hang on a second. He's very sensitive. Sometimes bad dreams can get to you. I made a mistake. I understand. Okay. It's on now. Okay. So, Eddie, no, no, no. Eddie, go back in time. Go back in time. It's not even 6.30 yet. Pretend it didn't happen. You can't be like this yet. What was the dream? I have an enemy. What was the dream? No. No, you don't. What was the dream? Mike, I was in a giant, like, wave pool. Yeah. A circular wave pool. Circular. Oh, those are fun. And I had, it was pitch black at night. How big? Giant. Like, as big as an Olympic-sized swimming pool. Bigger. It's gigantic. That's creepy. Kind of like the ocean. And it was pitch black at night. That's not cool. No. And I was in this thing, and I had to hold on to the side where I'd be swept away. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's scary to me. I'm already shaking my boots. And out of the depths of the darkness of the water come two willies. It's okay. A couple willies. Eddie's. It's okay. It's not sharks. Nope. A couple dominoes. Dominoes. They were the beasts. Black and whites. Oh.
The black and white. A couple referees jumped out of the mic. You know those things that kiss kids at SeaWorld? Yeah, you know. Yeah, those. Yeah. They got a show right now going on called Believe. They're called Killer Whales. I believe that they're jerks. They're called Shamu, Ashley. Did they try and kiss you? No. No, they didn't try and kiss you. No, they would swim by me. Yeah. And then all of a sudden, somebody released two seals. in the wave pool. Then you're good to go. Well, the whole time I kept thinking they're going to confuse me for a seal. That sucks. And I was panicking. Yeah. Oh, no. And I woke up and I was in a giant pool of flop sweat. Oh, my goodness. That's really gross. That kind of sweat. It is. I would know. It was awful. I'm going to change your paradigm. What if we change your paradigm? Why don't we imagine that The whales had a voice. And if the whales had a voice, they would say, Hey, Eddie. We're not, we don't want to. Hi, Eddie. There's the other one. Hi, Eddie. Hi, Eddie. We're not here to hurt you. Hi, Eddie. What are you doing today? Yeah, what are you doing today? We're not here to hurt you. We're coming out.
We're your friends. Do you want to be my friend, Eddie? Well, don't hate us, Eddie. You kill people. No. Yes, you do. We're not going to kill you. Let me give you a kiss. Get away from me. Let me give you a kiss. Hang on. Hang on, buddy. Hang on, my friend. Hang on, other orca. Don't give him a kiss. He's afraid of us right now. But we're going to teach him we're friends. Why are you all of a sudden Southern? I was Southern right from the beginning, 105.3. Why don't you pull the tape? The whales are now out there arguing with each other. They don't even know who they are. You were from Kentucky. It's all good. I'm pretty sure we're in California. I know we are, but I started that way. Are you from Southern Waters? I'm from Southern Waters. Okay. Good day, mate. Wait. What's wrong with your friend? You're such a dumb head. You are. Anyways, Eddie, come and pucker up. Anyway, Eddie. Pucker up. I hate you guys. Maybe that's not going to work. It might not work. It's not going to work. Tried. Well, the best thing you can do, they say, is to face your fears. Although, I don't want to do that. Are you crazy? Never, ever, ever, ever, ever. Ever? Ever. Eddie, if you were to go to SeaWorld. Mike. No, no, no.
And then you were to be proven that they were friendly? That wouldn't change it? I'm going to put a rat in your bed. See, that's the thing. I don't want it in my bed. I'm going to put it in your bed. Okay, what if it's in front of me? And when your legs go down to the bottom, you're going to feel it run up your leg. Now, I'm not suggesting we stick one of these guys in your bathtub. Nibble on your inner thigh. I'm not going to go there. He's right. Sticking you on a couch? Uh-uh. I'm not saying anything, bro. Yeah, I know what's going on. Don't flash out at Sky. I don't blame you. She looks hot today. Yeah, she looks beautiful. Yeah, thank you. I get a pass. 570-1053-35253 is the text number. That's all I'm telling you. Ashley slept for three hours yesterday. Now... I took a nappy. She doesn't want... I know. She just said... I was so tired. Oh, my gosh. Well... Something happened. I guess she changed philosophies. You have changed philosophies, right, Ash? Napping is a good idea. No, I'm really trying to stop. But you do it every day. Oh, I'm so tired. Every day. Every day. Every day. What is that point? That's my favorite one. I felt so good to sleep. Did I introduce everybody yet? Did I stop at some point? I stopped after I ate. Sky's on Newsgrove.
This guy's our news girl. She's 30. Sean's our sound effects guy. He's 38. Ashley is our... Napper. She's our napper. I'm so tired. Yeah, she's 24. She's got a birthday coming up in a couple weeks. She is going to be 25 at that point, but right now she's 24. She's blonde. She's cute. Southern California girl. Tan. Let's see. Then there is Boston Robert. He's out today. He's got messed up teeth. They did surgery on his mouth. I like your mouth. Yeah, they did some mouth stuff on him. And now he's home and he's got Vicodin going in him. What have you got in your mouth? You have a pretty mouth. The antibiotics going on. Wow. You need more sleep. That's right. And then there is Roosevelt, Zethian, Oates, the third, Junior, Esquire. He is. He's in the other studio. We can see him through the glass there. He's in the other studio where Rob usually is. He is over there. Or is he just slouched? He's super slouched. No, the chair. No wonder Rob always looks so short. Don't blame him on the chair. Just be the chair. Normally he's standing up, let's be honest. He's usually standing on the chair. Hey guys.
So there it is. Roosevelt, Zethian Oates, the third junior Esquire is going to be filling in for Rob today. And so when you call at five, seven, no, uh, no, Mr. Huckabee, it's actually Zeth. A lot of people say that they say Seth, but it is Seth. No, Seth with a Z. Okay. No use trying to correct him or anyone else. Cause they always say it no matter what. Where does that work? Well, yeah, you go, hey, Bill, this is my friend, Seth. Hey, Seth, how are you? No, no, no, Seth. It's with a Z. Never heard of it. It's with a Z. Ah, forget it. 35253, the text, 570-1053, is the phone number. We'd love to hear from you. Lots of things going on. This vandalism story is a big deal. It was in a pretty nice neighborhood. It's kind of an upscale Black Mountain Ranch area.
What's it called? Is that? Yeah, that's the name in the community. Black Mountain Ranch. Yeah. The area where the homes were vandalized, those homes sell from between one and two million dollars. Yeah. Well, what's really weird about it is we got a piece of audio from the president of the HOA. Her name is Carrie Lee Stone. Listen to the reaction. Cut 33. The community, of course, is upset. We don't want to have this type of thing in our community, and we are going to work on taking action to prevent it in the future. It really seems very minor to me. Seems very minor? I thought there was 25 acts of vandalism. Yeah, spray paint used on cars, mailboxes, light posts, and fire hydrants in the area. They believe that the damage may be over $10,000 worth, which would make it a felony. For whoever did this. Very minor. Yeah, so. Yeah, why minor? Does anybody have a take on why? I'm thinking maybe she's just assuming it's like a kid who got his hands on a can of spray paint and just kind of went to town. But why would she say it's minor? Still not minor. He may be a minor, but the act isn't minor. Yeah.
I agree. I would not like that. I didn't do it, dude. We didn't even say you did, Beto. No, I just wanted to tell you I did it. Yeah, but now you're making me think that maybe you had a little hand in this. I didn't have anything, dude. I don't even know where Forest Street is, dude. We didn't even say that that's what the street is on. I didn't say it either. You just did. No, I didn't. Beto, Beto, come clean. I didn't do it. It's your only... I didn't do anything, dude. You want to go to juvenile hall? I was in L.A. last night. You weren't in L.A. I was, bro. For what? I was partying at the whiskey. That's so stupid. Oh, my gosh. You're 14. I was, bro. No, you weren't. Me and Bret Michaels, dude, he gave me his cowboy hat. Oh, yeah. He did, dude. I'm sure. That would be cool. Eddie, don't. But I don't believe you. He did give it to me. He did? Yep. Let me see it. I lost it on my bike ride home, bro. You rode your bike? You rode your bike. Yeah. Okay. To the whiskey dude. All right. I had to leave yesterday morning at 10. Uh-huh. And I got there at 5, and then we partied till 3, and then I just got here. That doesn't add up. Well, even if that was true, Beto. That would only take you three hours. The vandalism happened early yesterday morning, and you said you didn't leave yesterday till 10. But I woke up to you at 9.
I woke up at night. You're so busted, Beto. You're a goner. You're a goner. This isn't adding up. I didn't do it. It's okay. Get out of here. Man, it's freaking out already. Let's see. Your phone calls. P1 Brett. Hey, Brett, tell everybody what a P1 is. It's Brent, right? Yeah. Tell everybody what a P1 is. Somebody that turns the radio down, doesn't cuss, and gets right to the point and listens exclusively to the Mikey show. That's Weekend. Made my weekend. Made it. What's up? Yeah, I was listening to, watching the news last night, and they said that that paint that they did was water-soluble. So all they had to do was really hose it off and wipe it off. Oh, that sort of answers some questions. No wonder it's minor. Yeah, no wonder. I don't even know that I'd classify it as minor now. It's a minor annoyance. Yeah.
Yeah. It's like the kid passed gas on a bunch of cars, you know, to make a news. Give me a break. Right. Way to go, Skye. Well, I haven't read the full story. They start off saying it was fluorescent pink spray paint, and then now I just read the very end of it. It was probably Cyndi Lauper that did it. It can be washed off if you use a power washer. So not just like spraying it with a hose and you need a power washer. Can you take a power washer to a car? I don't think you can. Yeah, it may take off some paint. If they sprayed it on the paint of the car, I don't think you can take a power washer to it, which means the car's messed up. You just scrub it real good. It'll come off. Well, listen, somebody's saying that it's $10,000 worth of damage. They know. Yeah. So if the cops are saying it's $10,000 worth of damage, it is. And that means it's a felony. So, I mean, if you could spray it off the tires maybe, but forget it. If it's on paint, you're done. You're really messed up. 570-1053 is the number. You call about anything you want. Hey, Uncle Eddie. Me and Bret Michaels went to eat at Mr. Chow's. Yeah. And we sat with George Clooney. No, you didn't. Hey, name dropper. First of all, you're 14. You weren't in L.A. You didn't meet Bret Michaels. You didn't eat at Mr. Chow's. You didn't sit with George Clooney. You're right.
I'm 26. We ate at Spago's. Okay. And I bought Lindsay Lohan drinks. Okay. That's not good being she's a recovering alcoholic. That's all. I know. It was wrong. Okay. The shit in the dining. As long as you know you did wrong. And we talked about Siriana. Really? I love that conversation, Mike. George Pliny said it was a mistake. But he won an Oscar for it. He said that his agent, Maury, made him do it. Maury. Maury. Of course. Yeah, he said anti-Semitic things about him behind this. Oh, my goodness. That is not true. You can't say things like that. Yeah, that's really bad. Those are lies. And I was all, whoa, ER, dude, that's messed up. No, you didn't. No, none of this ever happened. And then he gave me a pair of scrubs from the set of ER. Really? He has been on that show. With a Sharpie. He carries them with a Sharpie. 15 years. Years.
And he signs his name on them. Okay. Okay, let me see them. They fell off my bike. Oh, okay. Along with Bret Michaels' hat. And then, dude, it was weird because he was talking to all his papas about Maury. And Maury walked in when he was doing that. Oh, awkward. And it was... Is everything okay? Beto? I don't know. Beto? He's crying again. Uncle Eddie. What? Do you know who it was? What? It was Maury from Maury's Wigs. You're so stupid. So stupid. No, you're done. You're done. You're ejected. You're done. Get out of here. Get out of here, Betta. That's so stupid. That's so dumb. That is so stupid for him to even say that. Oh, for goodness sake, man.
Our text number is 35253. On the show today, tone-deaf karaoke. I want people to know, Zeth is plugging in the songs today. No, I'm not. I am not. No way. Can I do it? Ashley is. Can I do it? I had a whole talk with her about it this morning. It's the new Carrie Underwood. Can I do it? Her new single. What did you say, Eddie? I gave her suggestions. It's looking pretty good in our freeway so far this morning. Hopefully we'll get by with the commute like we did yesterday. That was just phenomenal, man. We had just no major problems and smooth rides pretty much for a while at the county. This morning we're doing pretty well. We've got a bit of a slowdown heading down the coastline on South on top of the 5. Some folks are heading to the open here this morning at Torrey Pines. South 5, we've got some slow traffic developing out of Carlsbad, kind of off and on down towards the Cardiff area right now. South by the 15th, a little tight coming out of Escondido up to 78th of your Rancho Parkway. Slows again through Rancho Bernardo. East County and South Bay rides are up to speed. You will see some volume, though, on Friars Road near Qualcomm Stadium as folks head there to park to get their shuttles on up to the U.S. Open. And you've got very well organized here. You've got the cones out there and lanes pretty much squared away, moving right along into Qualcomm Stadium where you'll park and you go through security, and then you'll head up on your shuttle.
up to the open here, but so far it's looking pretty good. It will get tougher though as the morning wears on, so keep that in mind. More to wait until we're an hour and a half at San Ysidro. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. P1 Allen? Yes. You went into sleep train in San Marcos. I sure did, Mikey. Went in there, was going to get the Queen, told them I was the P1. They upgraded us to the California King and took $1,200 off the price. That's pretty amazing. Yeah, it was nice. And they gave us the pillows. mattress cover, sheets, everything for free, free delivery, all of that just because I said I was the P1. There's certain things in my life that I considered no-brainers. You know, at the time that I married my wife, I knew that one was a no-brainer. Nobody's going to put up with the stuff she puts up with and is still real cool about it like her. But there's also things like when I talk about AIS and when I talk about Sleep Train, these are no-brainers in life. If you're doing anything other than, Sleep Train or AIS, it's not the best decision you could be making. Sleep Train is the best decision you could be making if you need a mattress. It's an awesome mattress, too. The Beautyrest Plush Paris, I mean, it's gorgeous. That's nice, dude. That's nice. Sleep Train in San Marcos. Sleep Train is your ticket to a better night's sleep. Thanks, dude. Back to the Mikey Show featuring Mikey. I try not to do dangerous things.
You guys know me. I'm the most practical person. Sky. Well, I enjoy spicy food. Sean. I'm always one who has to save. I always want to save. Boston Rob. I thought I was being as gay as I could get. Okay, get a little gayer. And Ashley. That's me. She's like the retarded Juliette Lewis. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. It's a Mikey Show. It's 640. Okay, hold on to your hats, boys. Katherine Heigl has declined to be considered for an Emmy this year, saying that the material she was given this season on Grey's Anatomy doesn't warrant a nomination. Oh, she is the worst. Now, does that mean, is she saying that because the writers drank? No, Mike, because the material they gave her this season on Grey's Anatomy wasn't good enough. I hate her. She's going to take herself out of the race before she's even like, they haven't even done the nominations.
Oh, she bagged on Knocked Up, which made her a movie star. Now she's bagging on Grey's Anatomy, which made her a TV star. It's like, who wants to work with that? She goes on to say, in addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such material. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me. That's so screwed up. It's pretty out there. She's a bizzo. Cleo Green and Edgar Gonzalez both went deep last night, leading the Padres to a win over the Dodgers 4-1. Did I say that I was going to do the gas thing when we came back? Or did I say that that was just on the show today? You just said it was on the show. What it is, I woke up today and I could tell that my brain wasn't really doing the deal. This guy looks great today. Oh, man. Doesn't he look pretty? Why don't you give her a little CPR, Mike? Eddie. Eddie, we said that was never, ever, ever.
That will not be misconstrued. That will not be twisted. It will not come up again. Ugh. And then Skye totally misunderstood me and was, like, saying off the air. Well, yeah, he was, like, grossed out by my answer. That is not true. He, like, almost vomited on himself. What? That's an untruth. It's true. It's true. He was, like, saying yuck and stuff. Oh, for goodness sake. Like, flailing his hands. We were doing the Mikey Show questionnaire. And the question to Skye was, and you can only answer with the person on the show. It's the only answer you can give. Who would Skye have performed CPR on her? She said me because I've taken the class the most recently. Soft lips. Stop that. That's not. And so.
I said, you know, I couldn't believe it. You said yuck. No, I didn't. You said yucky gross. Well, first of all, my reaction to it was I couldn't believe that Skye would actually allow me to give her CPR if it were necessary. And that was my reaction. And Skye is like, I can't believe you don't want to. That you wouldn't. What if she was wearing that top, Mike? Whatever. P1 Sean. Yeah. What up? Got to take on that paint you're talking about, about that neighborhood that got tagged up. You know something about that paint? Well, I know a lot of utility companies use really bright fluorescent paints that have like a 14-day life to it. So when they come in, they mark your street. It fades, so it doesn't stay in front of you. Oh, yeah, yeah. I know what you're talking about. I know exactly. It's that orange stuff when they are marked. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Orange, yellow, green. They got all these bright colors for it. When you do it, if you spray it right on, it'll power wash right off of it as soon as you do it or even when it's dry. So I'm pretty. I'm guessing it's probably something like that. Well, maybe it is, but... I don't want that joke played on me. We talked about bad practical jokes the other day. That would be one of them. P1's Tim and Eric, they have a new... They wanted to suggest a new theme for Eddie. They're a big fan of Eddie and his sports. And so they wanted to suggest a sports theme. Eddie, I want you to listen to it and see what you think.
Uh, I wrote P1 Tim and Eric back and I said, I think it's okay, but I feel that it's a little long, you know, like it, it seems like it takes a while to get to the, and then the actual writing of the song and all that. Tell me what you guys think. Care for it. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe we got to live with it a little, just live with it a little bit. And then after you live with it for like, let's take like a couple months and then after a couple months we'll take, A couple more months, and then we'll talk about it. Okay. But it's about sports. No. No, it definitely is that. Khalil Green and Edgar Gonzalez both went deep. How about that? Look at these guys. Edgar, first home run. Padre. Wow. That's pretty cool. Making him feel better. Yeah. Because... Name's Edgar. Oh, my God. That's Adrian's brother you're talking about. You took it the wrong way. You took it the wrong way. You took it the wrong way. What I meant is it's not the most...
Greatest name. Oh, wow. That's how we took it. They took it that way? Okay. I didn't mean it like that. What I meant it like. But you're okay with Khalil? I love Khalil. I love Khalil. Wow. It's a very common name. Yeah. Khalil Green, Edgar Gonzalez, they hit home runs. They beat the Dodgers. Four to one. In Petco Park. Nice. We hit two home runs. Get out. It's a record. In Petco Park. First two home runs hit by Padres in the history of Petco Park. In the same game. Wow. Put it in the box. Jake Eavy today. Oh. Two for one day at Petco Park. Nice. And two for one hot dogs. Two for one tickets, two for one hot dogs. So good. Such a good deal. Things are looking up. I love it. I like the whole thing. Let's see. Poor Boston Rob. He's home today. I kind of do, too. I don't want to, you know, upset him or wake him up or anything. Yeah, maybe we'll wait a little while. I called him this morning. You did? Oh, yeah. You called him? Oh, yeah. What time? Five. No, you didn't. Why? He's such an exaggerator. He didn't call. Let's see your phone. Let's see your phone log. All right, I'll bring it in. Why would you do that? It would be crazy if he did that. Maybe he had a question. Maybe he had a question for us. He had a question. He told me what he asked him.
You want to know what day it was? Oh, no. Rob told him it's Thursday. Rob wouldn't have known. Rob said to him, it's Thursday. It's Thursday. No, he didn't call him at 5. He called him at 447. Seth, I had a question. How about what you have asked us? What was the question? No, because I needed his login for this. Oh. Because it has the information for the stickam already on it. Yeah, that's a good reason. Well, Seth, I needed it. I wonder, how did he sound? Like he had entire bags of cotton in each cheek. Oh, I got to hear it. At some point, you know. Yeah, later. At some point later. I really do want to hear it. Oh, good time. Poor kid. Let's see. U.S. Open. It's getting started, man. Do this. Noon today, Eddie says they're going to show it on TV. Dude, Qualcomm's team is going to be crazy today. Because that's where they're making people park, right? People are parking there and they got these buses, these shuttles going every like 10 minutes. It's nuts. What? I'm really starting to get the enormity of this thing. Oh, yeah. It's gigantic. I really didn't get it. When I first started hearing US Open coming to San Diego, it was almost like, oh, yeah, you know, they're setting up a hot dog cart and this guy's going to sell some hot dogs. No.
I will be one of like 60,000 volunteers or something. I don't know if it's really that many. I don't think so. But there will be 100,000 people out there. No, but 60,000 of them are volunteers, I heard. That would be weird. No, there's 40,000 spectators. Which is cool for the spectators because they got three hot dog cart people for every person, which is great. This guy's going to be out. there selling hot dogs. Tomorrow, I'm going to have to come here to work in my uniform because I'm going straight from here. Get uniform out of here. What? Yep, I got to wear khaki bottoms. That's crazy. I have to wear a white polo and I have to have my hair all pulled back because I'm serving food. So, ponytail tomorrow. Look at you. Footlong. Rocket. Who's got the footlong? Is that what you're going to say, Sky? Will that be your call? No. Footlong. Who's got the footlong? I'll probably just say, what would you like? And then I punch him. P1B-Dub is on the line. B-Dub. Hey, how you doing, Mikey? Oh, no, it's not B-Dub. It's D-Dub. Oh, that's different. D-Dub. D-Dub, what's up? Hey, I was just looking on my TV guide, and PGA Tournament's going to be showing on ESPN at 8 a.m. Okay, cool. Really? We'll put it on there.
Yeah, because also Tiger Woods is teeing off at 8.06. Is it pretty important to see the tee-offs? Is that kind of a big deal? No, I mean, that's just when you're going to tee-off on the first hole. But if you want to follow him the entire 18. And Eddie, you said that Phil Mickelson, he's from here. Is that him? Yeah. I don't know anything. Phil Mickelson is from here, though. And so maybe it'll be good for him because he's played it a bunch of times or something. Well, yeah, I mean, this is his home course, you know. But, I mean, they really changed the course a lot to, you know, accommodate the U.S. Open and stuff like that. But he says he's familiar with it. It's cut 36. I just feel comfortable having grown up here. Even though the changes, the redesign, I feel like I spent enough time now in the last year getting to know those subtleties that I feel as though this is a course I grew up on again. There it is. Yeah, and one of the issues they say that they are expecting to be an issue this year is no smoking. Because I guess Torrey Pines is part of like a state park or something, and so there's no smoking allowed. And lots of times people smoke cigars, and it's kind of part of like the thing. Like the whole culture. Yeah, and people are going to be told at the gate, not allowed. A key member of Osama.
Stop it, Mike. Hussein. It's upsetting when you do this. Obama. Right. Martin? Is that what you said? Laden. Laden. Rude. Just rude. Please. You smell what Barack is cooking. His name is Barack Obama Laden. Yes. No, it's not. You got it. It is not. Sky was making such an inappropriate joke the other day. She said his middle name is Hussein. And we were like, Sky, that is so terrible. Not funny. Terry Bradshaw, that's not funny. Terry Bradshaw says that's not funny at all. Actually, the fact, his middle name is Hussein. Terry Bradshaw, don't you think that that's an awful thing for her to say? Not funny. So anyway, he is looking for a vice president and apparently a key member of the committee that's looking for a vice president for him. He's got a whole committee on it. Yeah. One of them has had to step aside over criticism for a mortgage that he received. Now, what does that mean?
Well, Jim Johnson basically got a really good deal, like a deal only for like family members and employees of Countrywide home loans. He got over $7 million worth of home loans through them at a special deal because he is a really good friend with the CEO. Now, Countrywide is linked to this whole subprime mortgage crisis that's going on right now. And so it kind of was starting to make. press, and I guess, you know, Jim Johnson figured it's probably better for Obama that somebody late to him isn't making press, so he stepped down. That probably is a good idea. Yeah, he's a good guy. Let's see. Duff McKagan of Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver will be on the Mikey Show today. What do you say next? Brian Wood, who's the general manager at BMW Encinitas on Encinitas Boulevard and Encinitas, the thing that I want to let people know is a few things that I want to really tell P1s about. Number one, that BMW has probably seemed like something, when you think about it, you probably go, oh, that's not attainable. Because you think of it as being too expensive. And they have something new called the One Series. It's all BMW. And it does not cost as much as your normal BMW. But right now, through Sunday, the end of Sunday, Brian, the GM over there, is doing something for P1s. It is very, very, very, very incredible. And in order for you to know what it is, all you need to do is go into BMW Encinitas and tell them that you're a P1. And they'll tell you about it. And it's really, really cool. What I'm hoping is that... P1s will go down there. They'll do this, and you'll start calling us, and you'll tell us about that experience. That is awesome. BMW Encinitas can be found online at BMWEncinitas.com, and they are on Encinitas Boulevard. It's just west of El Camino Real, Encinitas Boulevard. BMW Encinitas.

Did you know John McCain is getting blasted by these ads that are produced by John Cusack? What's up with that? Yeah, I guess John Cusack is not a fan of John McCain. And so he has put together two 30-second ads, which are kind of like in a pop quiz, they say, type of way. Like one of them asks, asks. Who supports keeping our troops in harm's way in Iraq, but not the bipartisan GI Bill of Rights to support them when they return home? Answer, John McCain. So these two ads, they say, should start airing in about a week. Really? Oh, my. John Cusack. The guy raises one boombox over his head. I know. This is like king of the world or something. What if we do this? She was. Ten seconds and she was on. It was 40 seconds. It was 40 seconds. She wasn't on 10 seconds. It's practically a minute. It's practically a minute. Wow. If you round up, whatever. They compared her to William Hung. They did. I'll take it. They did. No? Oh, really? Why? Why will you take it? Made a record. That's true. He's a recording artist. to my table, but it's, you know. She's still waiting. But you don't have a table, so. It could happen. Did you guys know that Rick Rubin called and offered to make a record with her? I don't believe that. It was Rick Rubin from sales. Oh. Oh, I do believe that. Rick Rubin. His name is actually Rubin Rick. I just read it off the... Oh, that's a weird name. Rubin comma Rick, so I figured it was Rick Rubin. Maybe not, though. Let's talk to our contestants. We've got P1 Instant Classic on the line. Good morning. What's going on? Nothing much. How are you guys doing? Not bad. Have you ever played tone-deaf karaoke? No, this is my first time ever playing. All right, right on. It's not easy. It is not easy. What you're doing is you're trying to figure out what Ashley's singing. You understand that, right? I do. You understand that. Okay. So I'm going to play a song, and you try to tell me what it is that she's singing. Just wait until the entire clip is done being played before you take your guess. And in terms of your answer, I'll accept the name of the song, or I'll accept the artist singing the song, okay? All right. Here we go.
Bomp, bomp, bomp, bomp. He said he would not give her play. Bomp, bomp, bomp, bomp. Well, I asked him please, he said you may. Bomp, bomp, bomp, bomp. She'll be into a train. That's your point. No, no, no. Okay. Can you, um... I didn't know. If you want instant classic, that was an instant classic. I'm going to guess that was the Beastie Boys. You are correct. You are correct. Are you joking? But what did she do with that voice? I don't know. No, he doesn't. Listen to this. There it was. Totally. There it is. I would agree with that. That was... Instant classic. Hang on the line, will you? I agree. She ruined it. P1 Gonzo's on the line. How you doing? Good. How are you? Pretty good. What do you do for a living? I'm a Navy corpsman. Who do you? What's a corpsman, like a doctor? Yes, correct. So we take care of the Marines when they can... There you go.
Good for you, bro. All right. I'm going to give you a little clip of Ashley singing. Okay. And then you wait for the whole clip to play. Title or artist, you win. You ready? Okay. Here we go. Oh, is that getting hit in the stomach? Got you. All right. We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. P1 Gonzo, can you give me title or artist on that? Title, rock and roll. Title, rock and roll. You got to come on. You got to come a little bit stronger than that. I mean, you're right. Soothe My Soul, something about rock and roll. I don't know what the art is. Wow, bro. It's tough to give you a break on that one. It's the easiest one ever. It's like the biggest, kind of easiest song of all time, that one. I know. I had a brain fart. Yeah. Oh, those are the worst. It's old-time rock and roll, bro. There you go. You guys want to see me dance in my underwear? No. No, no. I'll slide in. No, thank you. With a fire poker. Don't do it. Don't do it.
No, thank you. All right. P1 Gonzo, I'm going to pity you, and I'm going to give you the prize. You were kind of at it, so I'll give you some. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. P1 Robert. Yes, sir. How you doing, bro? I'm good. What do you do? I'm a mechanic. There you go. Where at? Alcohol and Ford. There you go. Very nice. Very nice. You ready to do this? Yes, sir. All right. I'm going to play the song for you. All right. Ashley's singing. Try to give me title or artist after it's done being played. Here we go. And I saw the surprise. And a few in his arms. When I took his glass of champagne. And I toasted you. Said on air with my butt through. But you'll never hear me complain. Oh my god. That was amazing. That's a song?
Hey, give me a minute, will you? That was amazing. Hang on. I can't. Mike. Ivy. I'm bending over. I'm sucking air. That person needs medical attention. Oh, yeah, for sure. Something special. That's a shame right there. That hurt me. Robert, can you give me title or artist on that? Is that cat in the blender? No. No. Garth Brooks. That was too, dude. Say it wasn't as many times as you want. It ain't going to make it not. That was him. I like that one. That's Garth. Wow. Sing it, Ashley. Sing along, Ashley. We got it. We got it. A little twangy. P1 Brad.
Yeah. You are the last contestant. Not too much. It's a rough day today, dude. You ready to give it a shot? I'm just glad I missed that last one. All right, dude. I'm going to play you a clip. When it's done, you give me title or artist, you win. You ready? I'm ready. Here it is. Standing on mama's floor. You don't know where my hands. But it was no one ever. Those were the best days of my life. She turned English. Yeah! Sky, you got that. I got that. I got some extra strength. I got that. Best days of my life. Not strong enough. I can't think of an artist. Sing it out, man. God, who is that? What's the name of the song? You can't give me the name of the song or the artist, brother? That's not the name of the song? Best days of my life? No, it is not best days of my life. Good guess. Brian Adams.
That's right, dude. Oh, you're crazy. Friend help. Thank goodness we're friends. Yeah. Yeah, dude. My last name's Adams. How did I not get that? How did you not get that? Come on. Idiot. He's your brother, man. Come on, for crying out loud. All right. Here's what we're going to do. We are going to take a quick timeout, but when we come back, I want you to answer this question. As you come down, approaching Point City, leaning Carlsbad. That's a slow ride in past Manchester. South Ponce out of the 15 has also seen some heavier traffic out of Escondido, up to 78. down the Via Rancho Parkway, reduced speeds again through Rancho Bernardo. The westbound 52, a little bit tight coming up to the top of the summit near Santo Road, where you lose that lane in towards Sierra Santa. The west 8, though, that's a good-looking ride all the way to Mission Valley. The westbound side of the 94, that's clear in the downtown. You are seeing some traffic, though, out of the South Bay, a little bit glitch. Actually, you know what? It's cleaned up for the time being, anyway. It's looking good through National City. Even the 805, looking fine through North Park. It does a lot of Kearney Mesa, though, heading up over the 52. And watch for volume around Qualcomm Stadium. You know, Cricket is the best wireless company, in my opinion, in America because they do a lot of stuff that the other wireless companies simply won't do for you.
And I'm talking about stuff like no contracts. That's amazing. Yeah. That's the best ever. Because with other wireless companies, any kind of change you make in your plan, you're locked in for another two years. You want a new phone? Another two years. Anything. Yeah, what about the other deal, too, where they don't charge you for the text messages, so you want to send text to your friends. You know how expensive it can be. Yeah, Cricket has unlimited plans at half the monthly cost of other carriers. Plus, Pedro and the Cruisers are going to be performing at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater this summer. What's the date? I believe it is July 28th or 29th. I can't remember. I'm not familiar with that group. But I'll tell you what, man. If you go see Pedro and the Cruisers. What kind of music is that? On the dark side. Oh, yeah. But in Spanish. But in Spanish. It's really good. It's Mexican fusion is what it's called. It's a blend of Latino and classic rock.
All right. Sky, what's the website? It's mycricket.com slash San Diego. Broadcasting from the Cricket Wireless Studios. The Key Morning Show. Without a doubt, the man who has more creative juices than a George Lucas fart. KIOC San Diego's Rock. The Mikey Show continues featuring Mikey. I love cars. Eddie. I think I'm immune to Captain Morgans now. Sky. I am the Google Oracle. Sean. I think about death all the time. Boston Rob. I'm getting real big into jujitsu. And Ashley. I want to eventually join a hip-hop group and, like, perform on the weekends. The Mikey Show's on. Rock 105.3. Let me try another one. What's this? What's this one, Ash? Away From Me. Who is that? Puddle of Mud. Puddle of Mud. Yeah. Is this a new one? This is, uh...
Off their second album? Really? Yeah. Remember it was on the O.C. Sky? Oh, yeah. Welcome back. 722. Unsafe levels of lead have been found in Hannah Montana jewelry for kids. No. Come on. What? What's wrong? It struck me as funny. I don't know why. That's not a good thing. No, not at all. Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burris is unhappy about his contract and has been sitting out. Oh, come on. Come on. Welcome back to the show. It's a Mikey show. You can call us at 570-1053. You can text us at 35253. We'd love to hear from you. I think John McCain's going to be on the Today Show today. Oh, really? Yeah. In fact, I think I just saw them starting to show him a little bit up there. Okay, so you're moving and you can only... I don't like this. I know it. Yeah, I don't like this at all. You're moving and you can only take...
Three things. 5701053. Hey, Zeth, pull some texts if you can. He's getting phone calls, but if you can, get me some of those too. He's going to be very busy today because Boston Rob is out. Eddie, what did you do? Okay. Break it down. First thing I would take is my PlayStation 3. That is not true. Why is that not true? What do you mean that's not true? That's false. Why is that false? That's replaceable. You can just go buy another one. Why would I want to? Well, you probably have at least three things in your home that are not replaceable. I'm getting to those. Can you let me do my list? Your first one is the end. No, Skye's making sense to me. Wait a minute. Now she's making me reevaluate mine.
So that means that we can only take material items that cannot be replaced. Well, no, you can take whatever you want. I can do what I want. I'm taking my PlayStation 3, bro. But you're dumb if you're taking things. I have all of my stuff saved on the PS3 that I have. Wait a minute, wait a minute. All my games, where I am in my games. So should we do this? Should we? Does that mean? You got me totally freaked out now. Well, my second item is irreplaceable. What? My Star Wars collection. There you go. That's a collection of things. Yes, it is. He's counting a whole collection as a thing? That is not fair. What do you mean? It's an entire collection. You either get a box of cereal or... No, it's an entire collection. I have them all in one space. You either take a Lifesaver or you take a box of cereal. Lifesaver. Get out of here with that. Don't do that. I'm going to take one thing. So we're going to let him do this. A whole collection? I think that counts. Thank you, Ashley. It's a collection. Well, if we let him do that, then I have collections of my own. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. Yes. Question. So if he takes, if he chose, according to your logic, Sky, according to Sky's logic, he shouldn't take a PS3 because it's replaceable. Right.
That means that if he takes his Star Wars collection, he can go on eBay, find those items, and replace them. Yeah, some of those are hard to find. Okay, I can't wait to hear Skies then. But you're not done, Eddie. What would you take next? Third item is tough. What about all my DVDs? Can my DVDs be... No, that's pushing it, Eddie. That's a DVD collection. No, that's pushing it, Eddie. No. What? It's a whole bunch of them. Why are you trying to, man? No, dude. Why not? Why not? Why not? Why not? That's one thing. No, it's whatever's in it. That's one thing. I want to know what P1s think of that. 5701053. P1 Pinto's going to give us his, I think. Pinto, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Is this Pinto? Pinto. Yep. First of all, Pinto.
Do you think that it's fair that Eddie takes a cabinet full of DVDs? Well, definitely not. What do you mean? It's wrong. So if I say I'm going to take my wedding pictures, I can only take one picture? The album, that would make sense. It's not in an album yet. Well, then you are in a pickle. Yeah, do I just get one picture? Or can I take my pictures? Yes, you can. Thank you, see? What the? Skye is only doing that, Eddie. She is only doing that. Because it's going to have to do with her. Pinto, what would you take? My Bible, laptop, and purse. Bible, laptop, purse. I didn't even think about my purse. What do you need your purse for? The purse shouldn't count. That's already with me. Yeah, the purse shouldn't count. The purse doesn't count. The purse is on her shoulder? Is that what she's saying? You can only take three things. I left it at work. I left it in my car. It's cool. It's cool. I love that. Plus, if you take the purse, it has to be empty. Yeah, you got to empty it. Hey, Pinto, empty the purse. Want something in there? Okay. Then I pick.
You're done, Pinto. You are, forget it, dude. You are so done. Credit card? Credit card. P1, Clint is on the line. Clint. Hey, what's up, Mikey? How's it going? Pretty good. What are you going to take out of your house? You get to move, you're moving, and you get to move three things with you to the new place, but everything else, trashed. Burnt. They're putting it in a big landfill. Lighting it on fire. You get three things. I would take my turntable, my record collection, and a couch. See, he's taking the collection. He gets to take the whole record collection? No. What do you mean no? This is ridiculous. No, we got to allow it. We got to allow it because we have to allow it. But that makes it too easy. No, we're going to find out. We're going to find out what Skye's collection is. Ridiculous. It's going to be her collection of clothes. Yeah, that's weak. Do you see what I wear? Okay, maybe not. My collection of stocks and bonds. Gold bullion. Yes. Skye, let's have it. Well, it was tough. I got five things on my list, but I had to pick the top three. So here is the top three. Number three.
I would take my jewelry box, which houses my dead grandmother's jewelry. Thank you very much. Are we allowing that? No. Yes. He gets to take the whole jewelry box? Yeah. You can take the box, just not what's in it. Yeah. I thought we agreed. Record collections, Star Wars collections. Oh, then I can change mine. DVD cabinets. You allow it. Of course. So you can take your DVD collection. Yeah, of course. Number two. Dude. I would take my file cabinet, which is full of all of my personal documents. There's a bunch of stuff in there, too. Social security card, wedding license. Finally, my third item, I would have my house lifted up and I would take my home. Oh, I wish. Your wedding license. Yeah.
Well, in case somebody asks you for it. Yes, I have to ensure that me and the bunny are married. My passport. You can get all these things, you know. What if someone at some point tried to prove that me and the bunny were not legally wed? Dude, I'm crazy. Show me your license. Yes, I would have. What if we were pulled over by the wedding police? Dude, like I'm crazy about my file cabinet. Like right now in my file cabinet, I have cell phone bills for the past three years. Why? Just in case. Just in case I need to reference them. Yeah, I keep all my bills for three years. Can you imagine all this stuff that's going to accumulate over the years? Crazy. And then finally, the number one thing I would bring would be my collection of photo albums. No, no, Eddie. That is not a collection. That is not a collection. That is not a collection. That is a collection. Not allowed. That is not a collection. Pick one. Pick one. Pick one. No. You get one. No, I will not pick one. I can't allow this. You'll have to burn me with the house. Wonder which one it's going to be. No. Wonder which photo album. It's not a collection. She only gets to take one. No, it's a collection. Everyone vetoes that. Yeah. It is not a collection. You have your collection of wedding pictures. Why is that allowed? That wasn't allowed.
I get my Star Wars collection. Thank you. You got your DVD collection. Yeah. We gave you your jewelry collection. But photo albums aren't a collection. Yes, they are. No photo album collections. They are. No, they're not. P1 Joan. Nope. Good morning, Mikey. Good morning. What would you take? I would take one photo album. Of course you would. It's the rules. It's fair. A small metal box of important papers, not a whole cabinet. Yeah, thank you. Especially if it's got three-year-old credit. What is your problem, lady? You get your list, I get my list. Get off my back. Have you ever heard of the computer system? Thank you. Why are you being mean to her? Someone has a lot of anger. There's no need for the two lists. Yeah, anger issues. She would take her father's urn. Very nice. You should leave your attitude there. Who cares? Why don't you dump it in the ashtray, all right? Be cool. P1 Car Nut is on the line. What's going on, dude? Oh, it's the greatest. They're letting me drive the M3 right now. Are you serious? Oh, it's the funnest thing in the world. It's the funnest thing ever.
That's a good word to describe it. It's fun. It's so fun. So true. It's an adult toy. It is. And they're making me give the toy back on Monday. I asked him, I begged him yesterday if I could have it until Monday. And he goes, you can have it, but you have to tell people that you drove it and they can come buy it on Monday. Otherwise, I don't know what I'm going to do with the mileage on it. And I go, okay. Right. So on Monday, you can buy the one I'm driving at BMW Encinitas. Anyway, what would you take with you? What I would take with me, let's see. First and foremost, I agree with Eddie. My PS3. Okay. Smart. The second thing would be my computer. It's got all my documents on it. It's got all my pictures on it. Yep. And I built that thing with my own hands. Third one, kind of in a pickle. Do cars count or are cars kind of like in a given thing? Oh. No, because it's in your house. It's in your house. Okay, then it'd be the photo album of my fiancée and I. Oh, you are so sweet. Wait a second. Don't you have those pictures on your computer? Most of them. Then you get another choice, bro. Well, no. He's got them already. But he says he doesn't have all of them. I was trying to think of another choice. You know what? Since I have these in my house, they don't belong to me. They belong to my mom. But my grandpa's World War II medals. There you go. There you go. Very nice. Well done.
Yep. Thank you very much. P1 Philly's Finest is on the line. What's happening, Mikey? Not too much, dude. What would you take? Let's see. Well, first of all, I agree with Eddie that if the DVDs happen to be in the cabinet, then I think you should be allowed to take the cabinet. Thank you. Well, my photo albums are in a cabinet, too. I'm taking that one. They sure are, and I'm taking that cabinet. Then, Sky, you could say that you got all your important papers in the cabinet. Why wouldn't you just put everything in the cabinet? Yeah, put it all in the cabinet. That's a great idea. Jewelry box is in the cabinet. I got two more picks. Whatever. No, no, no. Sean, what about you? Well, Mike. This is going to be so weird. No, it's not going to be weird at all. Take my cauldron. My colon cleanser. That's in the cauldron. So that counts. That's what's in the cauldron. And my cape. My Depeche Mode collection. Oh wait, that's wrapped in the cape. Which I keep in the cauldron.
A pint of Old Harper. Come on, Sean. You come back. Are you ready now? This is going to be fascinating. He was making sense. No, Beto. No, he needs to take this. Stop it. Stop it. Oh, Sean's pissed. Be quiet, Beto. Sean, don't turn the camera. No, no, no. Don't turn the camera. No, no, no. Don't turn the camera. No, don't do it. No, he's turned the camera. Let me read some text messages while we get him back. Mikey, I would take my 62 Cadillac, my full snap-on toolbox. That's important. That'd be good. And his next item is one of my items. His bed. Do I get to bring my wife and kids? That's P1 Adam. Yeah, of course you do. A bed is one of my items.
My bed is very important to me. So I take my bed. The next one says, Mikey, I would take my professional photography equipment, my iMac, my purse, not getting too far without my money. That's P1 Stand Strong. That's my other item. Your purse? The iMac. Yeah, the purse. I would take my bed and my iMac, something else. This one says, Mikey, I would take my wallet. My Brett Favre memorabilia. Yes. And a bottle of booze because I'm leaving everything else behind. That's P1 Rhino. That's a great call. And this next text has my third item. Wow. It says they would take their bed, their toilet, which is ridiculous. He just wasted some. Every place you're going's got one. What is that? Yet he's carrying out his big toilet. That's weird. And finally,
They said they would take their Bible. I would take, I have a very specific one that's got a bunch of stuff written in it and highlighted and stuff. So I'm taking that. 570-1053 is the phone number. P1 Tiffany, you there? What would you, what? Tiffany has a, Tiffany? Tiffany's got a very little voice. Tiffany, how old are you? I'm 21. You're 21 years old. She's 21. You would take your, what? My external hard drive. Got it. It has all of my pictures on there. Yep. And the pictures that aren't on there, I would just scan and put those on there. Smart. That way it's one thing. I like you. I would bring my Bible and I would bring my memory box, which has stuff in there from like forever ago. Very, very good. Very good. Thank you very much. Thank you. I appreciate the phone call.
I would take her memory box, too. You would take the memory box? Her memory box. Would you like to hear a song about hamburgers and hot dogs by P1 Tim and Eric? Yeah. Would you like to hear that? First question I was asked is, if I were very ill, who would I let give me a sponge bath? Ultimately, I chose Rob. I'll tell you why. We can make this happen, Mike. No, we can't. Was because out of everybody, I thought that he would have the least judging eyes. Who's making bubbles? All right. See? The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Yes. Billy Joe. The place of Billy Joe. Yes. Welcome back. It's 7.51. Well, a California doctor was almost choked on my spit. Okay. Well, then. That was a close call, everybody. Hi, how are you? That was a real close call. CPR, get over there. Stop it. Stop it.
Stop. Okay, no, I'm okay. A California doctor was arrested this week after he allegedly threatened a guy with a tire iron after the guy cut in front of him in line at a gas station. The Cubs' Alfonso Suriano is going to miss six weeks after breaking his hand. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. Duff McKagan will be on the show momentarily. Oh, oh. Yeah. Duff from Velvet Revolver. Awesome. Probably got so many good stories. Are you kidding, man? Of course. That's someone's mind I'd like to be able to read. He's a bass player. He played for Guns N' Roses. He plays for Velvet Revolver right now. And yeah, man, we want to ask about Scott Weiland. Want to ask about Axl Rose. Man, he's had a lot of luck with lead singers. Yeah. No kidding. Want to ask him about, man, there's all kinds of stuff going on.
We had a clip the other day that I never got around to playing that I really wanted to play of Slash talking about doing an intervention on Steven Adler. Oh, wow. Yeah, because Steven Adler is going to be on the second season of Celebrity Rehab on VH1. Wow, well, he needs it. Yeah. He came in the studio. We had him on the show twice. Both times. He was something else. Both times he was pretty intoxicated. So we can ask about that. Let's see. So anyway, Duff will be calling in here pretty soon. I don't know that I've ever talked to Duff, but something in my head makes me think I have. Have we talked to Duff? Not with me. No? Uh-uh. Duff McKagan. For some reason, it's, uh, I may have met him. Really? Yeah. Did we ever do a show with Velvet Revolver? One of the stations? No? I don't know. Did you want to hear that slash audio? Yeah, yeah, you got it? Yeah. Let's hear it. I went to Vegas to go get Steven out of the situation that he was in, which for 17, 18 years, ever since he was kicked out of the band, he's been a diehard junkie who's pretty much had one foot in the grave and one foot amongst us all this time. I went to go see him, and he was in a really bad way, so I got him out of Vegas and sort of did like a mock intervention on him. Hmm. Yeah, I want to check in on that with Duff and find out how Steven's doing.
He probably knows. So we'll do that in just a little bit. So a doctor in La Palma, which I had to ask Guy, where is La Palma? Yeah, it's west of Anaheim. This doctor is in La Palma, and a guy cuts him off for gas to get gasoline. Yeah, I guess what happened is the doctor was waiting. for gas, and the woman who was pumping gas at the time said, hey, could you please back up a little so I can move my car out and you can pull in? Awesome, of course. So he pulls his car back, she pulls out, and immediately the guy behind him comes and cuts right in front of him and takes a spot at the pump. And it really upset him. Trouble began. Now, I think what we're going to hear is the guy that cut him off. Okay, yeah, because is it the 911 call? Yeah, because the guy who cut him off called 911, but the way it went down, according to the doctor. I think he explains it, right? Does he? Says, well, I got two clips. I got the 911 call, but then I got one that says Dr. Reyes tells his side of the story. Yes, that's correct. Okay, so first the 911 call from the guy that cut him off, cut 30. Police farmer, can I help you? Yeah, I'm at the Cypress Costco.
I wonder if dude knew what was going on, but he was like, well, I'm getting gas. I'm going to get in there. Well, listen to the doctor side of the story. This is interesting. Maybe that will explain. Cut 31. You have to go back to your line because you're very impolite. He grabbed my shirt and he said the F word. And he showed his middle finger on my face. And he told me, you back off or I'll kill you. And so I was, no, you can't do that. So I went back to my car and grabbed my iron tie iron. And I told him, sir, you have to go back to your car.
And then he said to me more of the word with the F, right? Right. And he was pointing the finger in an upward direction, okay? The middle one. Yeah, this one in the middle. But the one that you put your ring, right? No. No, next to that one. Next to the ring finger. It was next to that one where you put the ring on. The longest one? Yes. And at first I thought he was saying to me, Said number one. And I said, one, one, one. I am at pump three. Yeah, I said, I'm at pump three. And I thought he was saying to me, pump one. And I said, no. No, no, no. I get my iron tire and I say to you. No, it's a tire iron. No, you will not. Tire iron. No. So this happened west of Anaheim and La Palma, and I wonder what's going to happen if there's going to be any illegal action taken. Well, he was arrested. The doctor was arrested. Oh, the doctor was arrested. Yeah, on suspicion of brandishing a deadly weapon in a threatening manner. Yeah, it's threatening, all right. But, I mean, that sucks. If he's telling the truth, if the guy threatened to kill him and grabbed him by the shirt. Well, I don't know if you're supposed to get a tire iron. But on the other hand, he was attacked. Maybe he was defending himself, right?
Who knows? Plus, he's a doctor. Eddie knows all about that. You get special tire iron privileges, I think, if you're a physician. Right, Eddie? I thought I read that in the manual. So, Skye, why does Mark Wahlberg not like the Beckhams? Well, I guess he's neighbors with the Beckhams in Los Angeles, and he says that... He's sick of the paparazzi like trying to go through Mark Wahlberg's backyard to get shots of the Beckhams. Yeah. So and then a reporter asked Mark Wahlberg if he's ever met the Beckhams. And he said, quote, no, but that effer lives down the street from me. He has got to go back to the UK because he has the paparazzi all over my house. So he is not happy. They don't like him. No. That guy's a Southie dude. You don't want to mess with him. Yeah, don't mess with him. Kind of a hot hair. Yeah, a little bit of a hot hair. I'm not afraid of him. I'm going to tell you straight off. You don't sound very tough. I don't sound tough, but I'll kick him right in the face. I'll bend it like his face off. Bend it like his face off. That's what I'll do. Madonna's brother, who is on the outs with Madonna, is writing a memoir.
Yeah, Madonna is not very happy about this. I guess, you know, her and her brother used to work very closely together. Her brother actually, like, let me see what his title was. He was the artistic director of her documentary Truth or Dare. I am hoping that Madonna will be a very good father for it. Which I'm sure every brother wants to see their sister in that light. But anywho. So they've worked together for many years and recently are on the outs. And so he's writing this biography. And Madonna's spokesperson says that Madonna is not cooperating in any way with this biography. I see. Yeah. This guy has a list of the hottest celebrity dads. I am number six. Really? That is a fact. Thank you very much. How many people are on the list? I have the top 15. Brad Pitt is number one. Of course he is. That's so simple. That's right. Let's go. Come on. Alan Thicke. Yes, Alan Thicke on the list. What number? Please. Which number? Ryan Phillippe. Dick Van Patten. Number six, actually. Dick Van Patten had eight kids. Yeah, he's a great dad. Hello. Hello. Tom Bosley. Tom Bosley. Do the kids have to be born? Yes. He had two kids, guy. What about Puffy? These are easy. Joni and Richie. These are easy. Come on.
And the other, the older brother that disappeared after one year. Yeah, remember that guy? Oh, yeah. Went to college. The good-looking one. Oh, his name was Philemon. Philemon. Philip. He went to college, right? University of Wisconsin. He was a good basketball player. Philemon. Philemon. His name was Philemon Cunningham. Roberto. His name was Roberto. No. Umberto. Umberto. And he went to University of Wisconsin to play basketball. Wisconsin lacrosse. You're the only one who played. He didn't have the grades. He wanted to go to the U. That sucks. He couldn't get in. Is it John Cusack? Is he on the list? He's really hot. Matthew Broderick? Is he on the list? Matthew McConaughey. He's not a daddy yet. Oh, did something happen? What about Khalil Green? Has he got a father? Does he have a father? He has a father. He does? Then he should be on the list. I don't understand. No, it's if you are a father, not if you have. How about the refrigerator? Yes, William the Refrigerator Perry. Oh, that was a good one. I like that one. That's a good one. That's a good one. Oh, oh. Go ahead, Eddie. Philemon. Robert Reed. Robert Reed. Oh, yes.
I don't think he had any kids. I mean, this is a good list, you guys. Robert Stack. Can you please just really guess? What about Steve Buscemi? You're such a jerk. He's got a bunch of crooked children. All in his mouth. Yes, Ashley. Will Smith is number four. Of course he is. Will Smith. We're doing good. We're doing good now. Well, Ashley's got three. Lauren Green. We were just talking about one of these people. Colin Farrell. We were not just. We were just off. No, we were not. P1C. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon. Matt Damon is number five. Ben Affleck. Ben Affleck is number seven. What a dumb guess. That's stupid. He's a jerk. Yeah, he's a jerk. No, he's not.
Tom Wolpat. Is he on there? Mark Wahlberg. You got to check it. We were just talking about it. Mark Wahlberg's on there. David Beckham. Number one. David Beckham is number two. We're just talking about it. Number two. Number two. Oh, yeah, number two? Yep. David Beckham. David Beckham. It's David Beckham. George Michael. Oh, yeah. The one from Arrested Development. George Takai. I'm not on the list. You're not? You're not a father. I'm not a father. You're not yet? No, I'm not. What happened? Have you tried? I actually don't even have a father. You don't? No. Ever? No, I was born from an egg. That is uncomfortable. I wasn't actually born. I hatched. Okay. One of these people is a presidential candidate? I lost my egg. John McCain. My egg tooth. Yes, Barack Obama is number 11. Thank you very much. I used my egg tooth to break through the tiny little membrane. Stop it. You quit it. One of these people is married to one of your idols.
Gabe Kaplan. Come on. Is Gabe Kaplan on the list? Oh, Gavin. Yes, Gavin Rosdale's number 12. Gavin Newsom. What about Maury from Maury's Wigs? Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise is 13. I know he's got kids. Peter Dinklage. Peter Dinklage on the list. We have a pirate and a superhero on Johnny Depp. Johnny Depp's number three. The pirate is Gary Schoenwetter. No, it's Johnny Depp. Gary Busey. How about the superhero? It's got to be Gary Busey, Eric Bana. Take care of your head by wearing your helmet. Tobey Maguire. Yes, number four. He's a dad? He's a dad? Yeah. Really? Sorry. Mikey Show. Hello? Heath Ledger. Too soon? No, Eddie. Too soon, bro. He's not alive. Spring of 09. Too soon. Go ahead. Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg? No. Snoop Dogg is not one of the hottest dads. Guy? Is he? Oh, my goodness. Ashley just, I am me, Terry Schiavo. That's an awful thing, Ashley. I didn't say that. I didn't even say that. I didn't even say that. Oh, what a terrible thing. It's awful. Al Pacino.
One of these people is named after something that we whales eat. Sean, too soon. Did he say that? Yes, too soon. Write that down. Yeah, I'm writing that down to talk to him about later today. It's 8.06. Never say that again. Not funny jokes. That warrants a call. Shorthand. That's really bad. Mikey Show, hello. Hey, what about Tom Cruise? Tom Cruise. Already said number 13. He's number 13. I think we have Duff McKagan on the line. Oh, hello. Duff McKagan, how are you? Hey, guys. How are you doing? We're good. We were just doing... Our news girl, Sky, had the list of the hottest celebrity dads. And I was one of them. Well, are you a dad? Are you a dad? Yes, I'm a dad. Sky, where is... Duff McKagan on the list. Well, unfortunately, I only took the top ten, so I don't know who else was on the list. He's clearly number 11. He's probably number 11. Clearly number 11. Good job. I'll take it. Well done. Duff is the bass player for Velvet Revolver and used to be the bass player for Guns N' Roses, and he's promoting a website. It is www.nutsy.com, and it's a digital music website. How'd you do that?
Well, you know, I just came on as an advisory role of this company, Nutsi. And I got a business degree back in 2002, and right when Velvet was starting up. In my industry, over the last few years, I've been offered different positions in different ventures, and nothing really ever spoke to me. You know, I've got to put my name behind it, and that's a big deal to me. So why this one? What do you love? Okay, so I'm 44. And about two years ago, I went, you know, I grew up. And then everything changed to CDs in like 89. I had a whole new music catalog on CD. And the last couple of years, I had CDs rattling around in my car. And I just hated that. They were patched up. I'd never read the CD booklets anyhow.
Right. They're too small. If you grew up on records, they were just too small. So I switched everything to just my iPod. I have an iPod connection in my car, and I have some docking stations in my house everywhere. Right. And so I'm that guy. I switched over. Wow. And Nutsi came along, and you can access your music from your cell phone. And so all of a sudden, I was going from my... having an iPod and a cell phone to just a cell phone everywhere. You know? And I'm that guy. And Nutsi allows you to do that, to access your iTunes library from your Blackberry. You're so futuristic. And it's free. And performers will start getting paid for music on people's iTunes libraries that perhaps, you know, you borrowed a CD from a friend and put it on your library. Which to me is amazing.
It's easy to use, and it's free. That's pretty cool. We're talking to Duff McKagan from Velvet Revolver, and the band is still together. They're looking for a lead singer because Scott... Well, first, let's go back to that. Why did Scott leave? We fired him. Why did you guys fire him? It was a tough year on tour. Well, you know, not to cut you off, Duff, but we were just saying that he is back with... Stone Temple Pilots, and he was, Sky was reading that he was stumbling on stage and stuff. Was this a drug alcohol thing? Yeah, it wouldn't come out of his bus. Some old habits came back with him, and it's just, it's really hard to work when that's going on. Is it impossible to talk with him about it when it's going on? Is it impossible to pull him over and go, hey, bro, you got to get it together through this tour? It became impossible. Yeah. You know, when it first started happening, You know, we had some talks, you know, and he was going to get back and it just never happened. It got worse and worse. And I'm not going to, you know, I love Scott and I wish him the best of luck. And the guys in Stone Temple Pilots are really great guys. But, you know, for Slash and I, we've just been through enough in our lifetime. Oh, man, the luck with the lead singers with you guys. Yeah, I think, you know, I don't know what we did in a past life.
Well, you got great lead singers. You got great lead singers. We made the only decision we could make, and that was to move on without Scott. Was it just the two of you that told him, or was it the entire band? Slash and I are kind of the mouthpieces. You know, Matt will definitely speak his mind. Don't get me wrong. Yeah, Matt's a drummer. He's a classic drummer. Well, he's kind of a bull in a china shop. So was it you, Matt, and Slash all sitting him down, or did you guys kind of delegate one of you to do it? You know, at the end, there was no really talking to Scott. We were really in two camps. He was traveling. He was getting to the gig and leaving right after the gig. He had his own dressing room, his own, you know, everything separate. But the separate stuff, it didn't start out like that. No, no, we were broke.
We were brothers, and it just drifted. It drifted apart. Things like drift apart, so you don't see them right away. There was no nipping it in the bud. It just kind of was a deterioration. Once we realized what was going on, we really tried to nip it in the bud, as you say. Tried to make things... But it just didn't. And that's life. And Slash and I and Matt and Dave were writing some amazing... Situations like this where things would get really tough always worked great for Slash and I music-wise, creatively. We started writing some amazing material on this last tour and found our singer yesterday. Really? Just the scoop? How did it happen? We started trying out getting in a room with some guys this week. And the guy who came in yesterday was pretty amazing. He's a semi-known guy.
Who is it? This guy came in and just killed it yesterday. Who is it, Duff? Yeah. I can't tell you. Give us a hint to the band that he used to be in. Led Zeppelin. Oh, stop it. How dare you? How dare you? Rush. ATVC. What key does he sing in the best? Okay, well, okay. Give me that. Give me that. A baritone. He's a baritone. Come on, stop it. He's not a baritone. Baritone. Is it... Is it... The guy from Crash Test Dummies. Yes. Duff McKagan. Yeah. Is it Chris Cornell? It's not. Not lying to you, man. I can't tell you who it is, but you haven't guessed right. He can't be a baritone, though. Why? Yeah. He can't be...
Because baritone's like... Baritone's got the baritone. Oh, really? Yeah. I didn't know that. Who is it? Yeah, you guys are going to go crazy. When are you going to tell us? When are you guys going to make an announcement? You know what? If we make an announcement, how about this? I'll call you guys. Will you? Please do. That's Hollywood. Duff's doing a Hollywood thing. Y'all totally... My people, call your people. I swear to God, I'll call you first. Okay. That'd be really cool if you would do that, Duff. Yeah. Yeah, well, you get... your number to my person there. Okay. Eddie, do we have his person there? Yes. No, we don't. We don't have a person. Nope. That's a Hollywood deal. I'm a man of my word. All right. Okay, cool. Yeah. If you don't, you can have a, if I don't do it, you can have a Duff McKagan flag day. Okay. So, the website is nutsy.com. It's a digital music website. Duff is putting his name behind it and he believes in it. Yeah.
Yeah, check it out. Just check it out. It's free. It's easy. And if you're like me, you'll dig it. Duff, what are you going to do the rest of today? Well, it's only, what, 7.30? No, sorry. It's 8.15. Yep. Well, we're going to go work with this guy again today. You're going to sing with him again? Yeah. What was he wearing yesterday? Pardon me? What was he wearing when he worked with him yesterday? That's not going to give you any clue. Yeah, well, was he wearing boots and jeans? Or was he wearing tennis shoes and jeans? Duff. That question must have... He knew it was going to give him away because he was wearing an... No, he didn't. He was wearing an Audioslave T-shirt. Yeah, he was wearing spandex and... A Van Halen T-shirt. Is this Sammy Hagar? No, he's not a baritone. He's not a baritone. Who's a baritone? You know what? There's people listening right now that know music. So... It's a passion bot. Yeah, that's what I said. He's not a baritone. No way. No, he's not a baritone. Maybe that's Duff calling back. Duff, is that you? Hi, this is Eddie. It's Mikey. Ah, this is Dave calling for Eddie. Okay, hang on. Hang on a second. I wonder if he is... Call us right now. 570-1053. Call us at 570-1053. If you know... If you have a good guess, if you know music and you can think of who's in Barrett Town. Whatever it was, though, Duff thought... Oh, we're getting too many questions. We're getting close. Yeah.
570-1053 is our number. It's Daryl Hall. It's Daryl Hall from Hall & Oates. Our text number is 35253. Be right back. I think it might be that cat from the Idol show, maybe Daughtry, or even the new singer for Creed after they broke up. They're both baritones. Their range and register is really low. You mean Scott Stapp? No, the guy after Scott Stapp. Well, the guy after Scott Stapp, well, first of all, there was no singer for Creed after Scott Stapp. There was a new band that they formed called Alter Bridge, and they got a singer in Alter Bridge, but he's the lead singer, Alter Bridge. Yeah, it might be him. He's a baritone. Alter Bridge isn't doing much. Yeah, could be. Hit me. Oh. No. Please no. No. There's no way. Daughtry is like a cash cow right now. There's no way. There's no way. He doesn't want to be in a band. Well, no, he is in a band, Mike. The band is called Daughtry. The band is called Daughtry. I gotcha. I gotcha. Please. Don't even go there. Garbage.
He's upset. You're upsetting Daughtry. Thank you. And if he gets really upset, he won't shave for a week just to punish all of us. He won't shave that perfect line on the beard. You know, that perfect one centimeter beard will not be shaved if you continue to do that. What about Neil Diamond? Yes. I'm playing my guitar right now, actually. I just wanted to say... Welcome all you kids here at TRL in the middle of Times Square. I like your new band, Neil. It's good. You mean the Velvet Kickers? Well, no, you guys are... Velvet Lantern? I thought you were Velvet Revolver. That's right. I'm the new lead singer of the Velvet Revolver. There's no the in front of it. It's just Velvet Revolver. There's that guy in the top hat right next to you.
That's my black and white friend. Wait, I don't think that's very... No. He's got either a black mother or a black father, one of the two, and the other one's white. Well, does he have a name? Well, my agent told me he's a mulatto. But doesn't he have a name? Yes, his name is Zipper. He has not a name. Slap. No. His name is Slap. No, it's Slap. Screwdriver. Oh. His name is The Screwdriver. Okay. They call him Splash. Ladies and gentlemen, my guitar player. Take it away, Splash. Speaking of, can I get one? One what? One of those things he's got there. The Screwdrivers. Give me one of those. I'll take a double. Thank you. That's not a good idea. Yeah. You seem a little tipsy already. Stop the music. Stop it. Stop it. Stop the music. Stop the music. What's going on, Neil Diamond? I don't like any of you bunch of beatnik, hippie draft dodgers to begin with. I don't like any of you. All you people do, you kids, is you sit there and you smoke your LSD.
I don't believe that's true. I normally don't smoke it. You make naked love in those VW buses. Oh, you are. And you smoke. Really? You're out of it, bro. For 30 years. Yeah. You smoke marijuana cigarettes and you just, and you vote for, and you, oh, down with Nixon, down with Nixon. Okay. Let me tell you something. Let's do it. I'm going to tell you something right now. Kennedy's not here anymore, all right? You're old. You know. I didn't realize that. And none of you would have even been old enough to vote for him anyway. You're old. So get over it. Move on. Take off the bell bottoms and get to work. Get a job. And put on some deodorant. You all stink. Neal Diamond. We're taking baths. We're good. Get out of the VWs. And go to work. I think it's time for Velva Revolver to find another singer. They don't have the best luck with singers. You drop your angel dust. You smoke your joints and you go in the army. What? Get in the army and quit dodging the draft.
They're going to find you anyway if you try to go to Canada. Hey, there's no draft meal diamond. Splash, tell them. You can take your uppers and your downers and your leods. I know what you're about. Put on some underpants. Put on some underpants. You take your pixie magic dust and you put it in your ears. Nobody does that. Filthy. Hippies. Okay, calm down, guys. I am so thirsty. Where is Ben with my drink? Ben? Who's Ben? He's that Jewish kid that we brought in here who's going to bring out the drinks. That's not very PC. You shake it a little and bring it over here, will you? Come on already. Oh, I need a nap. Go take one. I'm going to go take a nap. I have a U.S. Open update. I'd love to hear about... I'm Neil Diamond. I'd love to hear about the U.S. Open. After the first hole, Tiger Woods double bogeyed. What does that mean? He's two over par. Really? That's really not good. I can't even tell you the last time I've seen Tiger hit a double bogey. Is it because of his knee? He's just rusty. It's going to take a while for him to get in shape. Watch him win it. He probably will.
Rounding the shape, you know. That's a bummer. U.S. Open Extra. Is it on now? Yeah, I put it on. Oh, okay. Put it on, put it on, put it on. Fine. Thank you. Double bogey. That's bad. It's like me. P1 Cheddarhead. How about John Carabi? He sang for Motley Crue back in the late 90s. Whoa. He's a high baritone, right? Yeah. Thank you. He's a baritone. I think everybody's clamoring for him. Brittany. Yeah. What do you think? Jared Leto. Jared Leto. Yeah. He sings in that band three something. Will you put down Teen Vogue and give me a break? Three minutes to Mars. Seconds to Mars. Three minutes to half past ten. Hey, Mikey. Yeah. Just got something to do with it. Say what? Tell me again.
Just got clean and sober. Nice. Nice. You rock. You all kick ass. How long? How long? Six days today. Good for you. That's awesome. Good for you, girlfriend. You go, girl. You go, girl. Thanks, babe. Appreciate it. Okay, bye. I can tell you who the internet is saying. Wait, I'm going to play 30 seconds. The intercon. The intercon. Skye, are you on the intercon? I was WWA. Are you blogging the web or what? This is Jared Leto. Ooh, eyeliner. Lots of it. Ah, black hair. Smoky eyes. Ah, zippers. Hot. Oh, Eddie. Oh, Eddie is doing the look. Eddie's got that look to Jared Leto. Oh, he's pooping the lips out. That's weird. That is weird. Oh, my goodness. Dead on, but weird. Even Sean thought that was weird, and Sean's got a cape on. I don't have a cape on. You do have a cape on. Yes, you do have a cape. You have one. You do. We're going to take a quick timeout. It's not that kind of cape. It's a vampire cape. 35253 is our text. Red on the inside, black on the outside. What a freak. Just like you guys are going to be. Yeah, whatever. There are three capes in my coffin.

From a guy the other day that said that he went out on a date with a girl and every time they went out on a date, she had her girlfriends around. So he was out on her. And he went on to say something about, How he finally talked to her about it, and then the girlfriends would just kind of show up anyway. Which to me is like a sign of immaturity. Yeah, I see that. It got me thinking about stuff that would make you be out. Stuff that could happen that could make you be out. Like the way you hold a fork. Oh, thank you.
No, I think she was trying to make a point against you doing that, Eddie. Oh, really? You want to go out with a girl who's, like, stabbing her food? Well, she held a fist, and then she held the fork in her fist when Eddie went out with her. Well, that's like an animal would do that. Thank you. Well, I don't know that an animal could use a fork. Like a paw, like a hoof. Like a hoof, a paw, yeah. Can I borrow this? You can't marry somebody like that. Hey, ma, I bought this. I'll bring it back, you know? We'll just use it. Get the paw out of the grill. That reminds me of a friend of mine. Yeah! Look at him! I can't believe it! It's totally him! What? 5701053. What makes you out? What caused you to be out? For Eddie, it was going on a date with a girl one time, and she held her fork in her fist and stabbed at the stake. There was another girl who answered her cell phone during our dinner. That is a big... Done. Get out of here. Forget it. In the middle of our dinner, phone rings, picks it up, starts having a conversation. In the middle of the dinner table. Not good. Get out of here. Get out of here. It could have been important. It wasn't. You know what that would make me? But it could have been. If that was me and that happened, I would be like, that's something that a guy does that's rude. Any guy that would do that is rude and no girl should ever go out with him again.
If a girl did that, I would be like, what am I, a chick? And you're like a guy on an important sales call? Get off the phone. A very odd take. So would it have been okay if she would have glanced at the cell phone just to see who was calling to make sure it's not important but not answering? Because it was a first date, I would expect the attention to be completely on me. So the phone should be off. It should be off and in your purse and put away. Okay. She did do that. It wouldn't completely turn me off, but answering it while at the table, get out of here. Get out of here. You're done. One shot at the title. I went on a vacation one time, and when I came back, this chick had left like eight messages in a row on my machine. Crazy. Forget it. And she was mad. What? That I hadn't called back and how rude and blah, blah, blah. You got problems. Mikey Show. Hello. Hello. You're on the air. How's it going, guys? I love the show. Thank you. So I just got this one thing that really turned me off. I've been going out with this girl for a couple of weeks now, and things were going really well. You know, I thought we were hitting it off okay. And then one night last week, she invited me over to her apartment, and I went there, and I went upstairs, and I was sitting down at the coffee table, and she was making something for us to eat. And I looked down.
And the coffee table was covered in stacks of bridal magazines. I mean, you know, three or four inches deep. Are you exaggerating? Like a subscription to these bridal magazines for a couple of years. And why is that a problem? Yeah, why was that weird? They're not engaged. Why would she have bridal magazines? That's kind of weird. If you're a single girl. A girl's been thinking about marriage and nothing else. Wait, wait, wait. How do we know that's what they're about? Please. Heck yes. Well, how do we know that's what it's about? Like, what do you mean? What if she had a stack of bridal magazines because her girlfriend's getting married, her sister's getting married, her cousin's getting married? Come on. Either or, you know, it just scared the hell out of me. Wait a minute. Are we jumping to... Wait, hang on. Sorry. Hold up. Wait a minute. Hold up. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Are we jumping to the conclusion that this girl wants to get married so she's got stacks and stacks of bridal magazines? Well, first of all, like, what girl doesn't want to get married? Like, why is that scary? That's true. It's weird to have bridal magazines when you're not in a relationship, not engaged. Says who? It's weird. Did you ask her about it? No, I didn't even have the heart to because I know that she hadn't made mention of anybody that she knew getting married. You know, this was like a private hobby of hers.
How do you know it's a private hobby? It's clearly a private hobby. Every subscription tag on those magazines had her name on it. And if it stretches back for more than a year... Sky, that's weird. You don't think that's weird? You know, maybe she's like into fashion. Maybe she's helping a friend pick out a dress. What are you talking about? Do you get a subscription to help your friend? Maybe as a joke, her friend signed her up for a subscription because she's not married yet. That's probably what it is. Well, that's just as likely as your crazy scenario. Wait a second. What? I was on board until I heard that her name was on them. What's wrong with that? That's weird, dude. What's wrong? Did you get out of there? I got up. I said goodbye and I walked right out the door. Liking weddings. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Pause. Stop. Everybody hold up. Wait a minute. Hold up. Wait a minute. You got up and left? I got up and left. What did you say? I was that scared. You know what? It probably wasn't a bad idea. I mean, he should have been more polite about it.
Why, Mike? I can explain that. Why? Just because she likes wedding dresses? She's a murderer? No, she's not a murderer. She's an axe murderer. I don't think he should have left without saying anything, but I think leaving was appropriate. Why? Because you know that girl's not for you. She's not for you. Because she subscribes to Bridal Magazine and she's not for you. This guy, she's not getting married. So maybe she's like, she always is on the lookout for the dress of her dreams. That's right. I think she is. And what's wrong with that? I think that's strange. I think every girl, I think every girl has done that since, you know, the beginning of time. You've never got a subscription to a bridal magazine. No, not a subscription. But you're always on the lookout for your dream wedding dress. I can see that. Cave women. Yeah, hunched over the fire looking at their stone bridal tablets. That's true, Sean. That's a historic fact. Medieval Bride magazine. You ever see that one? Medieval Bride magazine? Medieval. Medieval. All right. I think everybody's freaking out a little bit here. That's not true. It's just a magazine subscription. I refuse to believe.
that you think it's okay. It is okay. For a woman's guy that is not, she's on a date. That's even stranger. The fact that she knew somebody was coming over and she didn't get, put them in a way. You know what? Women subscribe to Vogue and they're not supermodels, okay? Like, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Like, Sports Illustrated, you're not a professional sports player. She's right, guys. Okay, okay? Give me a break. You guys are freaking out. You're freaking out. You're better than that. You're way better than that. I believe in you, Sky. This is one of your poorest performances. Sky, I believe you. Your time was on the first hole. Dude. That was a triple bogey right there. Oh, that was terrible. I'm sorry, dog. I'm not feeling it tonight. I'm not feeling it tonight, dog. That was terrible. Terrible defense. Atrocious. Sorry. Sorry. I actually... Oh, no. Thank you, Paula. Thank you, Paula. That means a lot. That means a lot. Models. That was the worst. Come on. Worst argument ever. That Vogue is for models normally. Okay, what about Sports Illustrated? They follow sports. Is that only for people who play professional sports? No, it's for people that enjoy sports.
Well, maybe she enjoys wedding dresses. She does. What's wrong with that? That's not weird. That is not weird. You enjoy wedding dresses when you're getting married. No, you enjoy them all the time. That's crazy. I still enjoy them to this day. Really? Do you have a bridal subscription? No, but I will walk past a bridal store and I will window shop. Of course you will, Skye. You're normal. I just can't believe that. You browse. You look. You don't get a subscription. That would make you legally insane. I can't believe that's a deal breaker. I know. You guys are stupid. That sucks. What if she's a great girl and you're missing out? She might be a great girl, but she's definitely a great girl with some real issues. Just because of that. It's just like porno for single chicks, you know? Porno for single chicks. What does that mean? I agree. I agree with him. Maybe he is crazy. What does that mean, porno for single chicks? You know, it's like something she fantasizes about without any necessary attachment. So bridal magazines are the equivalent to like... Okay, if I'm a guy and I had porno magazines and a date was coming over, I'm not going to leave them out on the counter. But see...
Pornography can be looked at as gross or inappropriate or whatever, but weddings are weddings. It's a beautiful thing. In my opinion, pornography is wrong, and bridal magazines are not wrong. Well, so you can't compare them. I got one, Sky. I got one. I got one. Here we go. It's equivalent to someone who loves and is really into and one day wants to travel. So they've got all these travel subscriptions of different magazines about traveling around the world. They've never done it, but they just know that one day when... they're ready and when they've got the money and everything planned out, they're going to travel the world. They want to be prepared. They want to know where to go. Can I break your analogy down into little tiny pieces and smash it? Destroy it. Okay. What if it, what if the person, okay, I'll tell you what, what if the sailing mag, the traveling magazine is not travel magazine. It's traveling with your husband and she's got a subscription to it. So the guy comes over, he's like traveling with your husband. That doesn't matter. Whoa. That doesn't mean anything. It's all about commitment and marriage and living together and being in a relationship. You guys are talking about hobbies and interests. Getting married is not a hobby. But for some women it is. It's not a hobby. Yes, for some women it is.
Your wife even told me she loved planning your wedding so much she would love someday to plan weddings. That's a career. That's an occupation. Was that her job? It was my hobby in high school and I was actually a champion at it. I competed professionally my first year in college. I won the bronze. Bobby Kernels just IM me and said that maybe she's a wedding photographer. Is she? Guy on the phone. Yeah, what? Is she a wedding photographer? No, she is not. Oh. What does she do? She's a biological engineer. She's a what? Electrical. Psychological. She's a psychological engineer. You guys are wrong. Don't even know what that means. You're tripping. You're tripping. P1 Crystal. Yes. Go ahead. Oh, I was just going to say maybe she's a wedding planner or an aspiring wedding planner. No, she's a philosophical engineer. She's a tropical engineer. Yeah, she's... He just said it. Maybe she was engaged in the past and got the subscription and never canceled it. What do you think about that? Then why are they all over the house? Because she's reading them. She's paying for them. She might as well look at them. You're not engaged anymore. She will someday. Hi, yes. I've been married twice, and I've never gotten a subscription to a bridal magazine. I've never even bought one before. I think this is...
She's nuts. She should go on nutsy.com. My best friend subscribes to... Bridal magazines? No, she doesn't. That's not true. And you're allergic to Mexican food. Which best friend? Yeah, which best friend? My best friend, Jocelyn. She does not. She does not. Oh, she absolutely does. Get her on the phone. And she'll read them in front of her boyfriend. That's not true. They've been here four years and he still hasn't popped the question. So she'll buy bridal magazines to try to let him know. She'll buy bridal magazines, Eddie. She doesn't have a subscription to them. Or she might be subscribed. It's all weird. But does that make a difference? Like whether or not you're subscribed? It does. It actually... She does. You guys are weird. I'll get her on the phone. It's central to the point. You don't need to because she doesn't subscribe to Bridal Magazine. Also, then you don't care? Not if she buys the occasional Bridal Magazine. Not occasional. On the rig, dude. She buys them all the time? Yeah. She should just get a subscription already. And it would be the same thing. Issues. P1DDD is on the line. Yeah. What's up? You know, me and my girlfriend are considering marriage on a serious tip.
And even then, there ain't no bridal magazines coming in my damn house. Why? Why? You sound like a peach. Why? There's no need. I mean, there's really, I mean, it's crazy. Well, if you're getting married. Wait, wait, wait. I got to understand this. I'm just trying to wrap my head around it. If you're getting married, why would you be upset about it? Well, no. See, we're not getting married. We're considering that maybe after seven years of being together, that maybe we might get married. You're the worst. It's a serious possibility. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Mike. You've been dating for seven years. Seven, yeah. You've been talking about getting married. He's considering it, Mike. For about three, four months, yeah. Okay, you've been considering it for three or four months, and she's getting the bridal magazines. No. No, no, no. He'd be pissed if she got a bridal magazine. Oh, if she did, you'd be upset. I'd be weirded out. You said no damn way would I let those in my house. Yeah, you said... Tell them again, Skye. You said no damn way would I let that in my house. Unquote. Yes. I can't hear what she's saying. Oh, come on. Oh, wait. No, you can't. These buttons aren't turned on. Oh, I was wondering. Okay, wait. Nobody's been able to hear you, Skye. No, when we were talking to Duff, I was like... Go ahead, Skye. Say it again.
You said... I don't want to hear this yet. Anyway, you're a liar. Yeah, I don't know why you wouldn't let bridal magazines in your house. You've been talking about marriage, bro. Yeah, well, maybe just talking about it. That's what I mean. If we're just talking about it right now and then she goes out... Do you not love this girl that you're with or something? Yeah, get into this, Mike. You don't love her? Yeah. I do. I love her more than anything in the world. No, you don't. No. No, no, no. More than anything. No, you don't love her. Let me explain. Please. I love this woman so much that we could go to the courthouse right now, bang it out, get it done, no big deal to me. You should do it. You should do it. Then what's the discussion about? What's the discussion about? The discussion right now is about bridal magazines and how that works. No, clown. No, no, no, no, no. You said you guys have been discussing it for three months. Why? Is she not sure she wants to marry you? No, we're just not sure when and where and where we're at. So wouldn't that make sense for her to get a bridal magazine then? Why would that irritate you? And wouldn't you propose to her and then you figure out those details later?
Exactly. That's where the bridal magazine would come in. So he's waiting. He's going, I got to get proposed before any bridal magazine. Maybe he's saving money to get an engagement ring. No, but honestly, guys freak out at that bridal magazine because it's like commitment. It's like close doors and lock it and there you go. You're done. That's it for the rest of your life. Your life is over. You're stuck. So you get it. Dude, wait a second. I do get it. I do get it. It's one thing for this guy to be dating somebody seven years and they're having conversations. It's another thing for this dude on the phone, goes on his first date, What date? Third date? Second date? They were going out for a couple of weeks. A couple of weeks. Okay. They're going out for a couple of weeks. She's got bridal magazines to the house. That's weird. She's got more issues than the magazine. That's right. She's got way more issues than the magazine. You two would never do that. That's why I don't understand your takes. You two chicks would never do that. Yeah, I wouldn't do that, but not because there's anything wrong with it or because it makes me a psychopath. Like, if I had a friend who did that, I would see nothing weird about it. Like, I don't have a passion for weddings. Like, I don't really, you know, that's not my thing. I don't give a rip. I wore sandals to my wedding. I'm going to be barefoot. Pizer? Nice. Yeah? Go ahead. All right, I got one or two things. Either way, she's still psycho.
If she's cheating on whatever she's engaged with, if she's trying out the waters and stuff, I still say bail. Or, like Skye said, she was engaged before, but that just means she can't let go. You don't want to be second in her mind or in her heart or whatever. That's not what I said. He's got a point. Skye made that exact point. That's right. I thought maybe that's why she still has the subscription, not that she's still in love with the guy, that she just got a subscription. Whatever you say, Skye, I agree with you. Thank you, Eddie. Guy on the phone. Yes. Thank you for the call. My pleasure. You're a weirdo. You did the right thing. You're a weirdo. Kim. Kim, you there? Yes, I am. Go ahead. Hey, Mikey? Yes. Hey, you know what? You didn't think of the possibility that maybe perhaps she has an overbearing, domineering mother that... Then he should be out. Okay, great. Let's say that's it. Get out of there. Thank you. Good one. If that's the deal, bye-bye. Yeah, making our point for us. Yes. If she has an overbearing mother, she's going to be overbearing. Get out of there. You don't know that. Get out. A little bit of peace out. Thank you for the call. This is exhausting. I'll say it is. Yes, Eddie, you are right. Taylor, you got an analogy? Yes, sir. Go ahead. Okay, imagine going along with Ashley's point about travel magazine.
Okay. You have a bunch of travel magazines and you invite a pilot over or the captain of a ship. What's he going to think? He's automatically going to assume you're inviting them over for that purpose. So what's the guy going to think? Like you're trying to take advantage of him. Let's say the guy... So wanting to fall in love is taking advantage. Let's say that the guy operates a ski lift and he comes over and you got copies of ski lift weekly. Hello. Oh, I mean two and two together. Guys are the worst. Guys are the worst. Unreal. 35253 is our text number. Our phone number is 5701053. We would love to hear from you. It says, Eddie, my husband and I have been huge fans of these delicious brats for years. Put them into a bun with spicy brown mustard, sauerkraut, and cream cheese. Yes, everyone that is interested. Did I tell you I did that? With cream cheese? I did the cream cheese. She's saying everyone that has been introduced to it, they're apprehensive at first, but after tasting it, they love it. I didn't mention that embarrassment. I honestly didn't mention it because I thought you guys would think that was nuts. Well, I've had the cream cheese Philly over at the brewing company. It's so good. Hey, check this out. Got this email. Mikey, I have felt like a part-time P1 until yesterday. I went to sleep train so that I could have a reference to compare used mattresses on Craigslist. I took my three-year-old in there, which is typically a bad idea because she doesn't have the ability to self-calm herself yet. I digress. But my point is that they made it so easy to figure out which mattress I wanted.
that I ended up buying one at Sleep Train. I really wanted the Beautyrest world-class Paris plush, but it was out of my budget, which is why I felt I needed to buy a used one. The sales associate knocked off $1,213 and offered to deliver it today. We got this email. B-Rob, when did we get this? A couple days ago? Yeah, two days ago. Two days ago. That's awesome. Yeah, man. Paula, are you going to have Elmo on again? I love you. I just adored Elmo. That is so great. Before I knew it, I was talking to Elmo like he was a real person. That is so great. That is so great. The Mikey Show continues. Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It is 9.30. Unsafe levels of lead have been found in Hannah Montana jewelry for kids. Tiger birdied number four, so now he's only one over at the open right now. He'll be fine. He'll do good. He'll come back. He's good. Here we go, Casey. One more song. This one is about a man that has petite feet. Petite feet. He's got really petite feet. Eddie, are you interested in Top Chef Junior? 13 to 16 year old kids on Bravo. Top Chef Junior.
What's wrong with that? Pub Chef is perfect. Kids doing the same thing. No. Cooking. It's true. It's true, Eddie. Why won't it be good? They're kids. Yeah, but what if they make a good grilled cheese? Oh, come on. They make some killer SpaghettiOs. Yeah. Hey, I hope you don't have a Hulk Hogan Ultimate Grill. What is that? They got a fire warning issued about it. Did they even know there was this? Yeah. It's like a total ripoff of the George Foreman. He was selling it on TV. Hey, brother. Hey, brother. What up, brother? Who wants a burger, brother? You want cheese on that? Brother. Hey, I've issued a warning. With or without a headband. Hey, you better have your fire extinguisher by, brother. Yeah, basically. And your Rogaine, brother. This grill is $2.49 to manufacture. But I sell it for $4.95. Making a killing. Making a fortune. So they say if you have one, you should immediately stop using cooking oil on the grill prior to preheating because it would ignite. Nice. It just lights on fire? Oh, dude.
That is terrible. Terrible. What else is going on? Gibson is making their first signature guitar for a woman. Oh, petite feet. It's going to be for petite feet. Mike plays that hilarious. It's very funny. I mean, the funniest thing he's heard all day. I want you to YouTube. Petite Feet. YouTube Tim and Eric Petite Feet. And watch what goes along with the song. I'll do that. Your feet are not me. Why? You're a clown. Yeah, so Joan Jett. She's getting her own signature guitar from Gibson. Joan Jett. Oh, God. Why, Leather Tuscadero too busy? What do you guys have gone with?
Well, I mean, she's like from 1980. It's 82. Seriously. I mean, she doesn't rock. Well, okay. Kind of does. Throw Betty Ross in there, too. They're a more relevant chick, like Pink. I would have made sense if they were like Pink or something. I don't know. What chick rocks? Does Pink play guitar? Four non-blondes, Mike. Yeah, four non-blondes. The new signature four non-blondes. It's the new one of the chicks from Heart Gibson guitar. That's weird. Zeth is watching Petite Feet right now. Really good. 570-1053 is our phone number if you want to call us. Okay, so Daniel Craig, the star of the new James Bond movie, was just injured on the set of it. So what do you want? I don't know what you guys want. How many times? Yeah, they're filming the new James Bond movie, and he got hurt. So they're having some issues around the set. What do you guys... I don't know why you guys are making such a... Yeah. Yeah. Basically. Are they filming the movie Blindfolded? I think so. Yeah, well, so there's been two car crashes. One where a car ended up going into a lake. Another one where it was actually like a...
and people got really injured. Well, over the past week, Daniel Craig has been injured twice on the set of the new 007 movie. One was during a fight sequence when his right hand was cut open. They didn't realize, like, you could afford stunt people. Yeah. Get those guys, man. And then the other time was also during a fight sequence when they say that Daniel Craig's face was cut so badly that he needed eight stitches to close up the wall. That's a big cut. You don't think that this is, like, a bunch of, like, hype, do you? Like, they're just trying to make this stuff up so people go see it because they're like, oh, it's so dangerous. That he messed up. Look at his face! They can't do that, can they? Sure they could. Maybe you could. I know, I know, no. Who knows? Creepy. So how did Tom Hanks help somebody out at their wedding in Italy? What did he do? Well, right now they're filming the sequel to The Da Vinci Code in Italy. And I guess this chick, it was her wedding day at this certain church in Rome. And she went to get there, but it was all blocked off because of the filming.
So she like was having trouble getting into the church and Tom Hanks saw her and her dad standing there and she's in her full on wedding dress and she's like freaking out. And so Tom Hanks had Ron Howard stop filming. He went over, linked arms with the girl and escorted her and her father. He was even carrying, helping to refrain. All the way into the church. He carried a train? The train of her dress. The train of her dress. I didn't think that was possible to do. He is a gentleman. When in Rome, huh? Yep. That's where that saying comes from. Yep. What's up? Can you finish the phrase, Ash? When in Rome? When in Rome, huh? When in Rome, huh? What? There's not a... That's more to it. There's more to it. It is when in Rome. That's... There we go. And there we go. When in Rome, Tom Hanks saves the day. That is the correct phrase. That's all I'm saying. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Come on. Right. Do as Tom Hanks do. Do as Tom Hanks do. Do's. Do's.
Two people have been charged with giving Amy Winehouse drugs because they couldn't charge all 900 of them. What? Well, which is so whack. So this all goes back to that video that we saw of Amy Winehouse smoking something out of what looked like to be a crack pipe. Yeah. Right? And they hauled her in for that but never charged her with anything but charged the two people in the video for giving her the drugs. That's whack. Conspiracy to supply cocaine and the drug known as ecstasy is what they're charged with. I wish somebody would help her, man. Yeah. It's ridiculous. Seriously, it's almost like her celebrity status is pulling away from people helping her. You know, like with Kate Moss videotaped doing coke and they're like, oh, so you're good. Go back home. Can we try to get Rob on the phone? I think Zed's doing it, Ash. Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, is talking about his problem with sleeping pills and being intimidated by Brad Pitt, because Brad Pitt used to be the ex of his wife.
What's in the box? Yeah, he did an interview with Rolling Stone, and he was asked how he stays motivated for his music and his life. And he said, quote, if your wife went out with Brad Pitt, wouldn't you want to prove yourself? You know what I mean? So that's that. And then on sleeping pills, he says that his problem is he takes sleeping pills in order to go to sleep, but then he'll be laying in bed, he'll get all excited about a song, he'll get up to play, he'll go in his little studio in his house, and then he'll wake up in the morning, like, crouched in the corner, and he says, quote, I'm a little bit ashamed about it. Sounds like it might be a little bit of an issue with the sleeping pills. Could be. Britney Spears is still hanging out with Mel Gibson. So strange. Are they filming Lethal Weapon 6? Yeah, you know, they went on vacation. Where did they go recently? Like Costa Rica or something? Brittany is reprising the Chris Rock role that was in Lethal Weapon 3. So she's going to be playing Chris Rock's part, which is really weird because she's not black or a man. But we'll see how it works out. And we're neighbors. So this Tuesday, Brittany and Mel hung out for about two and a half hours at a Beverly Hills cigar lounge.
Called the Havana Club. Totally. Why not? Smoking some stogies. 1,500 people have been evacuated because of that Santa Cruz wildfire. Yeah, there's a new one. You know how there was last week, the week before? Yeah, but there's another bad one right now. No way, Jose! Yeah, the Bonnie Dunes area. Bonnie Dunes? Yeah. So about 900 acres have burned. Didn't she star in One Day at a Time? Yeah, she was the mother. Oh, that's right. This is yes. This is yes. This is yes. L.A. obscenity trial's been suspended over the judge's website. Dude, this is the weirdest thing I've heard in a while. Okay, so this judge in L.A. Wait a second. You just heard this, and you're saying that's the weirdest thing that you've heard in a while? Just wait. This is weirder than petite feet. So this guy is the chief judge of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. And he's overseeing an obscenity trial in regards. What is an obscenity trial? In regards to a guy who was selling videos of extreme fetishes. Okay. If you will, without going into detail. Sean.
Well, it turns out that the L.A. Times looked into this judge, and on his personal website, he had a video which they describe as a man cavorting with a sexually aroused farm animal. And this video was posted on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge on his personal website. When the judge was asked about it, he said that he didn't believe any of the images were obscene. He thinks the video is something odd and interesting, which is just part of life. He has since taken the video down, and the trial has now been suspended so everybody can assess if this guy is really capable of overseeing this obscenity case. Crazy. So Solana Beach has approved a one-year trial beach booze ban. Yeah. So they were one of two beaches left in the county. Oh, no. For your health. Where you could drink at the beach. I'm drunk. Oh, man. And last night they voted for a one-year trial ban effective immediately. Oh, dear. No way, Jose. So as of now. If you want a ban.
Booze on the beaches, why don't you not drink? Yay, turkey. Why didn't you think of that? You turkey. So they said, after all, like the San Diego ban went into effect, that their beaches just got bombarded with people drinking and partying and stuff. So right now, the only beach left that you can legally drink at is Silver Strand in Coronado. Dude, that beach is going to get more. Yeah, but you can still smoke weed on the beach, right? No, that is not allowed. That is not allowed. Not okay. This is John McCain. Cut 14. We just need a one-word answer, Mac or PC? Neither. I am an illiterate that has to rely on my wife for all of the assistance that I can get. Don't save that clip. Do we want that guy as our president? Yeah. He doesn't know how to operate a computer, Mike. He didn't say that. He didn't say that he doesn't know how to operate a computer. He says he's illiterate. Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? That sounded like his sense of humor to me. He's trying to have a good time. So you really believe he's illiterate, he can't read? No, I believe he's illiterate when it comes to computers. He cannot operate a computer. I bet you that the past three presidents couldn't operate a computer. Oh, okay.
I would say Bill Clinton probably went to certain websites. Yeah, but George Bush. I feel you on George Bush, and we see what happened to this country. Yeah, exactly. That's great. I love our country. It's great. Oh, I love our country, too, but it is in the... Tubes right now. Name one thing wrong with it. Thank you. Move on. The economy. We're into the door. We have huge debt. Global warming is not being addressed. What the heck is global warming? That's on the computer? Anyway. Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? The Mac. He uses Mac. See? That's what he calls himself. Yeah, he's illiterate to himself. He's all hip. He's making videos. Here's John McCain yesterday on the Today Show. Cut 13. And a lot of people now say the surge is working. Anybody who knows the facts on the ground say that. If it's working, Senator, do you now have a better estimate of when American forces can come home from Iraq?
No, but that's not too important. What's important is the casualties in Iraq. Americans are in South Korea. Americans are in Japan. American troops are in Germany. That's all fine. American casualties and the ability to withdraw. Make sense? No, Sean, no. What do you mean no? Sean, make it go away. So you want us just to leave after everything we did? We've been there this long. So it's not even important to think about bringing the troops home. It doesn't matter. Quoting John McCain, it doesn't matter. Did he say it didn't matter? That's what he said. No, he didn't. He said it wasn't too important. That's right. Can you smell what the man is cooking? It is important. Typical liberal. It's important to the families who are here waiting. for their spouses to return, waiting for their fathers and mothers to return. They could be stationed in Italy. They could be stationed in Greece. What are you talking about? Can you smell what the Mac is cooking? I hope you guys are proud of yourselves. I don't even know what that means. You guys, this is Barbara calling in. What's going on? I'm a part-time Obama supporter and a full-time black woman. Wait, now you're an Obama supporter.
You were a Hillary supporter. What happened? Hillary? Your girl? What is that? What are you? I'm sorry. This is typical Democrat. Flip-flopping on the issues. Shut up. At least we can use computers. As a black woman, I can support Barack Obama. And I'm really, really glad that you guys are seeing. What a louse that John McCain is. Thank you, Barbara. He's not. Thank you. He's a total louse. I'll tell you what's not too important. What? My Snoop Dogg collection. I'll tell you what. I sold it all off the other day. Here we go. Really? Why'd you sell it? Am I flying right now? Yep. A little. A little bit. So I mimicked you. I sold it the other day. That doesn't make you better. That's a little better. You guys. Yeah, what's up? You guys want to go swimming later today? Swimming? Where? I was hoping one of you had a ball. Uh-oh. This guy has a membership to a jacuzzi club. Oh, my goodness. I do not. That sounds really good. I sure do not. Hang on a second, guys. I was just going to tell you about this. That's true. Oh, she fell. Oh, Barbara. Hello. Barbara. Hello.
What are you doing? I'm over at Chris Martin's house. What? From Coldplay? Yeah. Really? When it's Paltrow's husband. Can you put him on? What are you doing there? No, we were just taking sleeping pills. Oh, that's probably not smart. That is nuts. That's all we can. Okay, bye. That was Barbara. Bye. What was that all about? And scene. She's nuts. Let's see. Have a U.S. Open update, Mike. What do you got, Eddie? Update it. This Justin from Torrey Pines. Yeah. Phil Mickelson has bogeyed two holes in a row, is now two over through six. Oh. Shut up. I mean, there's, I try not to talk about my personal life. You've had dinner with him a couple times. Not that you're going to break up with him, but if that happens, then it becomes more painful. Right? I just feel like every time you talk about anything in your personal life, it becomes like a headline. It becomes a different headline. That's not true. We have the U.S. Open on. How are you liking it, Mike? Well, Tiger Woods just hit a ball like right by the hole. Yeah, he's pretty good. That's cool. Not so much. He's three over now. What's going on with him? Did you see that? Did you see that? That was a replay. It was a replay? Yeah, missed a short putt for par. I mean, that's like mini golf right there. Yeah, that's like, oh, that's not good. Three bogeys in a row for Phil. Well, if he could choose to put it in the hole, why would he not do that? Why would he have it go right outside the hole like that? That's just bad decision making. I don't know very bad. Have it going there. That's all I'm saying. Go to your... Go, boy. That's a good one. Let's hear Petite Feet. What do you think? Petite Feet. So I tried to YouTube it? Yeah. coming up with is all these live, like, do they tour? I know, me too. Do they really? They tour? What? Yeah. I didn't know they toured. Oh, they tour all over there. They were just here a couple months ago. Really? No, because it was real late. What, Eddie? What just happened? Phil just hit the worst putt I've ever seen. No! That was the worst. What's he doing?
Do you think he's, like, distracted by something? It wants a cup of speed on its way to the cup. From the hole. That's so bad. Well, okay. Whoa. Can we save that clip somehow? Brilliant. He stumped him. I got to get that cleanly. Oh, man. Shut your mouth. And then they clap, which makes it worse. It makes it even worse for him, you know? He's like, I get it. Yeah, it was terrible. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. Yeah, so Skye searched it and all she came up with was the live stuff. That sucks. Yeah, me too. Just go to adultswim.com. I'm not going to go to adultswim.com. Just go to the website, huh? You know, they've got them all. They've got them all. So we should just go to the website. I would try it. I'm not going to try it. Shut your mouth. Oh, no.
I just tried searching Tim and Eric Awesome Show. Great job, petite feet. That doesn't work either. But petite feet is maybe one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Little. Besides this. I was talking to our program director, Shauna, yesterday. said something, and I go, man, you really sounded like Shauna right there. Really? She was doing an impression of herself? That's what I said. I go, it almost sounded like you were doing an impression of yourself. Where am I? It was something like... I know. Get Shauna on the phone now. Shauna does that imitation all the time. That's where I got it. That's where I got it. Terrible. It's not true, Bob. We love you, Shauna. Love you, too. I love Bob. That's our program record. I know you'll like him. I love him. Pirate, what's going on? Pirate. Hi, sorry. I'm on my cell phone. I'd like to sneak out of work. Mikey, I wanted to know, you have that scripture on your leg. What is it, and what does it stand for? Matthew 11, well, mine says Matt Hugh. Yes, it does. Matt Hugh. Because, you know, it messed up when they were doing it, when they were putting it on there. One of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Yes, Matt Hugh. It's one of the little known pieces of scripture. It's supposed to say Matthew 11, 28. 11, 28, okay. Yeah, and depending on what translation you have, it's Christ saying, come to me, all of you who are weary.
Give me everything you got because I can take it even if you can't. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you, Mikey. I love you, Skye, Ashley, Eddie. Sean, you're doing a good job. Love you. Who is that? You're doing a good job. Thank you, B-Rob. Love you guys. There you go. Thank you very much. We all got love. Good job. Awesome show. Great job, Sean. I love you, Skye. I love you, Mike. I love you, Eddie. Whatever. Maybe someday, Sean. Sean, you're my favorite. Jesus hates you, lady. Oh, no, he doesn't. He doesn't. He might. P1 Sitalish. Ashley, you just upset Eddie. Hey, guys. Sean, I love you. There you go. See you, Sean. See you, Sean. It's just radio. It's a bit. Go ahead, Sitalish. Hi, Mikey. I just wanted to call in and thank you for your blog. This guy's really my favorite.
Well, actually, I wanted to yell at you first, but then thank you. You wanted to yell at me? I was reading your blog yesterday about Jake singing Amazing Grace, and it totally made me cry at work. Oh, you're going to get me all crazy. Best blog ever. Oh, my gosh. I was just in tears, and my boss was like, what's wrong? I'm not supposed to listen to the radio. I'm not supposed to read, you know, the Internet. And I totally had to lie. And I'm like, oh, no, it's nothing. And I was totally bawling. It was so sweet. Oh, I don't want to think about that. It's the best story ever. Yeah. Love it. You almost made my lip start shaking. What do you want? You went for the tears to come out of my eyes? All right. Thank you for the call, I think. All right. Goodbye. P1 Hoey. Hey, what's up, Mikey? How you doing, man? Good. Listen, I wanted to let out all the drivers out there knowing everybody. I understand. Everyone's trying to save. Two days, but there's no reason to drive 55 in the middle of the freeway consistently for five miles. Wait a minute. What are they doing? What are they doing now? People trying to save gas these days, thinking that driving 55 in the middle of the freeway is going to help them save gas. All they're doing is making the freeway worse. What about throwing it in neutral when you're going down a hill? Okay, Sky. Sky. Sky does that.
She's so hot. Whenever I go down a hill on the freeway like it's a decline, I throw the car in neutral. And also whenever I get off on an exit, I throw it in neutral and coast all the way to the light. These are some of the tips that I give on my blog. I also fart in the gas tank on occasion to try to give myself a little extra gas. That's okay. Save the gas. I'm not above farting in the gas tank. Thank you. P1AO. You know, Mike, I just tried to call, you know, and I'm trying to become a Hall of Famer. I'm trying to take the necessary steps. You know, I just wanted to call and tell everybody hello and a special... Thank you very much. P1Justin, you are our final call today. Bring us home. There, Mikey. I got a quick question for you. I'm in the military, and myself and a lot of friends, we have a lot of tattoos, you know, whether it be on their legs and sleeves. How do you feel, you know, mainstream America feels about, you know, tattoos and white-collar jobs and everything else like that? Oh, boy, and white-collar jobs. I mean, it's tough. Isn't it? Yeah, it's tough. You got to be a DJ on the radio or in a rock band. Because I got to tell you, I mean, I'm college educated. I've almost got my associate's degree done.
and almost owned my military, but I love tattoos. I mean, it's an addiction. If they're visible, dude, if they're visible, a lot of jobs, they're going to frown upon it. I wouldn't be able to have these tattoos and work in a legitimate place. I have to work with a bunch of rascals, you know? I hear you. Well, but what about long-sleeved shirts and slacks? Yeah, that's what I mean, visible. What about a burka? If they're not visible, a burka. What about if it's on your neck? Yeah, what about if it says Boston on your throat? Well, who would do a crazy thing like that? A ridiculous person. Best thing I've ever heard. I am whipped and I love you. Thank you, Rob. Lovely and talented Missy is up next. She's got The Lost and Found. She's going to play songs that you haven't heard in a long time. So make sure you're listening to it. And then we'll come back here tomorrow for Friday. Chantal will be in the studio. Have some food in the studio. Have some listeners in the studio. And it'll be a real good time. So we'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out late. Love your mouth.
