Boston Rob announced that he would work a paid appearance during Sky's birthday barbecue and arrive late, so Sky, Mikey, and Eddie argued that he was putting money ahead of friendship. Eddie confessed to playing Guitar Hero alone, Ashley described Sammy bringing home a dead bird, and Sean defended Dina's decision to dump merchandise on a Michaels counter during a coupon dispute. George Chamberlain gave P1 Broke concrete debt advice, while the cast played P1 Password and debated P1 Shortcake's wish that her highly groomed boyfriend act more traditionally masculine. The crew also compared last-day fantasies and Starbucks orders before a serious split over Proposition 8, with Sky opposing it and Mikey supporting it despite challenges to his equality argument.
What happened, in order
Eddie's Guitar Hero secret
Eddie admitted that his wife Debra and their college-age niece caught him playing Guitar Hero alone, then proudly described beating Tom Morello and naming his virtual band Lemon Drops and Sandals.
Rob flakes on Sky's birthday
Boston Rob revealed that he had accepted a paid Saturday appearance even though Sky moved her birthday barbecue to accommodate him, setting off a long argument about money, friendship, and how late he would arrive.
George tackles a collection agency
George Chamberlain advised P1 Broke to keep sending the $150 she could afford despite a collector demanding $200 and to contact nonprofit credit-counseling services for help.
Sammy drops a dead bird
Ashley said her dog Sammy calmly carried a whole dead bird into the house, leaving Ashley screaming while a neighbor disposed of it and the crew mocked her fear of instant bird-related disease.
The Michaels coupon revolt
Sean defended his wife Dina for dumping their bag of merchandise back onto a Michaels counter after a clerk refused to split the purchase so they could use two coupons.
P1 Password winners and wrecks
In P1 Password, Eddie and Ashley raced through five words, Boston Rob and Sky failed spectacularly, and Seth helped Mikey recover with a winning round.
Is her boyfriend too metro?
P1 Shortcake asked whether it was wrong to want her fashion-conscious, sweet-smelling boyfriend to act more traditionally masculine, prompting the cast to argue over whether style, grooming, and disliking football say an
The last 24 hours
The cast imagined their final day, with Eddie choosing a 49ers game, Sky and Mikey considering Maui, Boston Rob favoring family and Boston, Ashley picturing a beach ride with Sammy, and Sean simply staying home with his
The Starbucks personality oracle
The crew entered everyone's elaborate coffee order into an online personality oracle and roasted Sky, Ashley, Eddie, Mikey, Sean, Boston Rob, and Seth with its insulting results.
The Prop 8 divide
While discussing same-sex couples marrying before the election, Sky said she would vote no on Proposition 8 and Mikey said yes, leading the others to challenge his claim that he still believed everyone was equal.

Currently fires burning. In place for Camp Pendleton and Oceanside, as well as down by the border in Campo. Two home runs in the eighth inning seals the Dodgers' fate as the Phillies come back to beat them 7-5. Thrips one into the night. 7-5. The Phillies now hold a 3-1 lead in the NLCS. Is that a surprise, Eddie, or is that the way it was supposed to go? I think it's a little bit of a surprise. I think the Dodgers had a lot of momentum going into the NLCS. And so it was a little bit of a surprise, yeah. Well, it's not looking good for the World Series that I was hoping to see. I want to see the Dodgers and the Red Sox. I don't know what's going to happen if it's the Tampa Bay Rays versus the Philadelphia Phillies. I mean, that's going to be like the lowest rated series of all time. That sounds pretty boring. Sounds bad.
Sorry about that Philly's Finest. I know he'd be really excited about that, but that doesn't seem good to me. I was talking to a mutual friend of Rob's, Josiah, last night, and he goes, dude, have you talked to him? And I said, talk to who? And he goes, you don't know what I'm talking about? He just assumed that when he called and said that, and I go, what are you talking about? He goes, to Rob, sorry, to Rob. I go, oh, no. Because I didn't know. And I just took it from when he said that. And he goes, yeah. He goes, I had to talk to him about some other stuff, but I didn't know if I should even try to reach out. I said, oh, no. It's because we weren't texting. Well, there it is. You know, Rob put in his yesterday email, today, you know, Boston Rob. Boston, born and raised.
Just the biggest supporter of that Boston, you know, sports culture there is that I know ever. It says here, nothing much to report. Watched the socks and decided that maybe Eddie and I should text during the games. Whatever works, huh, kid? I want to see that smile on his face, so I want those stupid socks to win, you know what I mean? Because I want to see him all happy. I want to see him in here, the jubilant, excited, happy Rob, not the... Mike, I can't even hear you right now. I'm working, Rob. Should have locked someone in the bathroom, dude. And now this. Now he's trying to get the computer to work. One thing after another. What's next? It's one thing after the other. Gosh. I'm going to go sit back down. Talk to me. It's just one thing after another this morning. My email won't work. Sean won't come up on stick-am. What is with these computers?
See, that's why I go inside the bank. You can't trust these things. A bunch of robots running our lives. What? Are you guys happy with that? What is he saying? Skynet, dude. Total Skynet. Is that what it is? It's like, it's Skynet. Obviously. Let me tell you something. The first step is direct deposit. Next step's the machines. World domination. World domination by the machines. You guys are on board. Mike and Eddie know me the best out of anyone in my life. We're being sarcastic, though. That was a joke. I swear I will not kill anyone. Can't you score on not getting direct deposit? I like to play the leader. Thank you. Well, we are going to give you information on this fire. Are these fires all morning long? All morning long, we got stuff.
Because there's fires going, man, the front of the UT has the most amazing wide angle picture of Los Angeles. And the fires there are enormous. And there's a fire burning in Camp Pendleton. And where, Sky? Campo. Campo. What's the current... situation like where are we okay let's talk about uh north county uh oceanside camp pendleton that one's called the juliet fire now that started yesterday on an explosives training range on the base at camp pendleton now they're not saying if explosives training was actually going on or not or what actually sparked it but they are saying that's where it started um So far, more than 3,000 acres have been burned on the base of Camp Pendleton. Military housing on parts of the base have been evacuated, and they're telling the military, if you've been evacuated from your home on base, that you want to go to the Stewart Mesa Housing Office on base. That is your evacuation center there.
Now, people who live in Oceanside around the base who have been evacuated, that's about 1,400 homes that have been evacuated in that area. Your evacuation center is El Camino High School in Oceanside. Luckily, no reports of injuries, no reports of structure damage in the Juliet Fire in Oceanside. And the wind is blowing out there. Yeah. As of yesterday, you know, we had the red flag warning in effect. Everybody be extra careful type of thing. And that was supposed to expire, I believe, 6 a.m. this morning. But since the winds came in later than expected, they've now extended the red flag warning, which will go till 10 o'clock tomorrow night. You know, it's kind of like when 9-11 happened and they had these things called, you know, like they had a terror watch. Yeah, and they had those... The red, level... Level orange, level... You know, the only problem with red flags and all that stuff is that we don't really know what they stand for and mean, and we don't really know what we're supposed to do when we hear it. Yeah.
Okay, so it's a red flag warning. What does this mean we do? Yeah, I can assume it means don't throw my lit cigarette into the brush. Wouldn't I do that anyway? Yeah, but outside of that. Green level, should I go ahead? Yeah, green level means anything goes. Start fires anywhere on the side of the road. Right, wherever you want, really. Level green is an anything goes policy. Gasoline and sparklers. Yeah. That's it. You can light your own gas under a level green. Oh, good. You can light your own. Let's get back to that. That's right. So the Juliet Fire in Oceanside has burned more than 3,000 acres. And like Mikey said, we'll keep giving you updates on that this morning. And then we woke up this morning to a new fire, which broke out just before 3 o'clock this morning in Campo, down by the border. Now, 300 homes in Campo were ordered to evacuate. Basically, this is a fast-moving fire. It's on both sides of Highway 94. They say just west of Shockey Truck Trail.
So that one is currently burning. That's a new one that they're working on this morning. All right. Well. That's what we got so far. We'll let you know. We're going to keep watching it. And not only are we going to keep watching it, but we have various sources that we're going to be talking to throughout the morning to keep everybody updated. And this time of year, this is when it happened last year. It was in October. And so, yeah, those winds are. I don't understand how they work this way, how at this time of year, wind blows a certain way. I mean, I'm sure it's easy to understand if you understand the weather a little bit, but I don't. I just know what happens. Yeah, it's really scary. Like, all that smoke from Oceanside, I mean, I went out in my backyard in Escondido, and I thought the west part of Escondido was on fire because there was so much smoke. I thought the fire had to be that close. It looked kind of like... It was close. Oh, yeah. If you're in North County, it looked like it was right there. Yeah, so I can't imagine those four people in Oceanside. Mm-hmm. 570-1053. And our text is 35253. And let's see. Yeah, do that. Do phone, do text. And if one person calls and says it's the first time that you've laughed in days, I am telling you right now.
I will throw the smack down. Stop it. You should smack everyone. Oh, yeah. Fires haven't even been going on for days yet. That's what I'm trying to... Okay. Yeah, this is actually the first time I've laughed, like, I don't know, in the past couple days. Sky, you've done it again. You just said it again. Why did you say that? You just said it again. I just don't understand. Is that necessary? Let's all calm down a little bit. Eddie is our producer. He's our sports guy. He's our guitar hero. All right. What a title. That's right. Thank you. Wow. That's right. He's the guy in Guitar Hero, Rob, that doesn't have the game stop on him for lack of ability. Wow. I really look up to those people, Mike. Thank you. I do, too. You know, green's not your color, Rob. That's right. Neither is orange or red or blue. Apparently. The cookie monster button. There is no cookie monster button. Yeah. You can make fun all you want, Rob, but it's a fun game and I'm starting to become addicted to it at home. Don't do this. Have you moved up in level? Because I don't understand how it works. Go ahead, Eddie.
It's embarrassing, okay? I like Guitar Hero now, and I play it at home by myself. Although this weekend I got caught playing Guitar Hero by my wife and our freshman college niece. In your underwear like Tom Cruise in Risky Business? Mike, please, the humiliation is already difficult enough to deal with. Oh, no. Wow. It's fine. What song? What song? What do you mean what song? That doesn't make any sense. When you were captured. Oh, gosh. When you were captured. Yeah. What song was on? I know I just finished a guitar battle with Tom Morello. Oh, wow. How'd you do? I beat him. No, you didn't. Of course I did. Tom Morello. I beat Tom Morello. He's good. Yeah, I know, but I'm better. Yeah, yeah. I'm that good of a guitarist. For sure you are. And then you got to play Bulls on Parade, which was really fun. Right. I was sweating. Yeah. It's a lot of work to get those notes jamming. Yeah. I think that was right when they came in. Oh, no. I was furious because I wanted to just do it by myself. Yeah. That was it, but no. Stop laughing. Yeah, they laughed at me. When a cool college kid comes walking in and sees a 35-year-old man play Guitar Hero. Yeah, yeah. I mean, it's humiliation. You're a homeowner, okay? Yeah, I am. But I rock.
So what do you want me to do? I've created my own band. We're playing gigs right now. When you complete a gig, Mike, you earn money and you can buy different outfits for your band. Some new songs and stuff like that. It's pretty kick-ass, I'm not going to lie. Yeah, and so what's the band name? Uh-oh. Oh, he's smiling and shaking his head. Well, you already know what my band name is. Is it Lemon Drops and Sandals? Well, it's the best band in the history of rock. Let it go, bro. Why are you acting like this? Lemon Drops and Sandals. Do you want to join? No, thank you. It's a very sweet offer. I'm thinking about getting rock band. Oh, my God. Wow. You are shocking. Well, Rob, you can play. You can do. Uh-oh. But I want you to. No. It's a lot of fun. I will not come to your house and play imaginary drums. I'm sorry. It's not imaginary. You actually have a drum kit. Yeah. Yeah, you have like a, you know, virtual drum kit. I'm trying to keep my blood pressure at a respectable level. Rob does not. It's a tough thing. He doesn't appreciate it. It's a tough one. What happened to you, man? I'm cool. This guy's our news, girl.
She's 30. Oh, my God. He's doing the fingers for the buttons right now. And he's doing the blue, red, green, green, green, yellow. He's really good. Red, green, yellow, red, green, yellow, yellow, green, green. That was Foghat. That was nice. I haven't memorized. It's awesome. Sounds just like the original. Thank you. You're so nice. Skye has a birthday coming up. I do, Mike. Next week's her birthday. How long are we going to mention this? Well, this weekend, well, this is a good question because this weekend we're celebrating her birthday. Yeah, we're celebrating early this year. Yeah. Get the celebration in. So we're going to celebrate her birthday on Saturday. Yeah. I get some horrific news about that. Whoa, Robert. What? Boston Rob. He better not say what he's about to say. Well, I'm assuming everyone's going to be there. Of course. Until late. Until the early.
morning hours, right? Yeah, so I'll be there Sunday, just late, you know, late Saturday. Oh, they asked me to work. Glad we did this on the air. You're a bad person. Well, because I wanted to do it the following Saturday, the Saturday after my birthday, but Rob had to work, so I specifically scheduled it this Saturday because he said, Sky, my schedule's open. My schedule's free. I'm putting you in it. Then you told him, right? You said, hey, I already have plans. I said, hey, man, I am going to be doing two things on Saturday. Wow. What time is your 5 to 7? You're the worst. You're the absolute worst. 7.30, I'm there on the dot. What are you guys crying about? Have you ever heard of Fashionably Late? This is like a thing. Where's your appearance? Right next to my house. Oh. Right down the street. It's about 40, 50 miles from Skye's. That's great. That should work out perfectly. I'm sure you'll be there at 730. Awesome. Skye and the hub will be asleep. Don't you guys judge me. Wake up. I need this money. Wake up, guys. I'm here. Let me in. Yeah, where's the red cups? I would like some dip, please.
Well, this is just lovely. He's something else. He really is. Right here on the air. I mean, I don't get how it works. Happy birthday. I mean, you tell a friend, oh, yeah, change it to this date. I'll come over on your real birthday. What do you want to do? Hey, Rob, at least, you know, you picked a person that, you know, doesn't really matter if you're, you know, choosing one thing over. I could have said nothing and snuck in at about 7.15, 7.30. Yeah, right. I'm sure it would have gone unnoticed. He really broke the booze heart. He's going to be very upset that you don't get to see the backyard. Him and his hair. It's true. Shawnee, oh boy, is our sound effects guy. I'm sure Shawnee will be there at five. On the dot. Shawnee is in the San Francisco Bay Area, so he gets a pass. He doesn't live here. And we see him on a little camera. Look at him. He's doing a little cheer for us. Hip hip hooray. Hip hop hooray. I don't have to go. He doesn't like social situations. That's very true. Does not like social situations. Ashley is our assistant producer. And she's something else with that dog Sammy. I'll tell you more about that later. I'll tell you what. You can see pictures of Sammy.
We did Pimp My Puggle on the 28-hour show. Just don't eat beforehand. That's right. Don't look on a full stomach. Keep the kids away. Yep. They're doing an article on Sammy in the volunteer newsletter. The Nugly Magazine. The shelter that I adopted her. What? What? I say that my adorable Puggle, who I adopted from a shelter, the shelter that I adopted her from, They got wind that she's doing really well because when I adopted her, she was antisocial, scared. Hope it was downwind. I submitted a picture. They're going to do an article in the volunteer newsletter. You don't want that. She's getting featured, Mike. Don't you want people to adopt dogs? Yes, and she is a prime example of why you should adopt. This is bad. That's right. It's a pretty big deal. Boston Rob is the guy. A horrible person. Let's just put that out there. Yeah, that's facts. This guy. I'm going to make it up to him. Oh, is that what he's doing, Eddie? He's doing the, like, you guys, I'll play the martyr role. Yes, I'm terrible because I guess I'm a bad person. We know your game, bro. Get out of here. That's it. Why don't you go play some guitar? Bring it to the party. We'll all have fun. Then I'm not showing up. Oh, okay.
You aren't anyway. Really? I'll double not show up. I won't show up on Sunday either. Yeah. I won't show up to the second power. Oh, my gosh. Not show up squared. Thank you. Oh, man. They're a game that day. What's going on? What's a real story? Something's up. Yeah, I think there is a game. Oh, really? It's all starting to make sense, Cheddar. But that's even if we get that far. We're on the verge of getting handed to us. Hey, if they make it, he still has to come over. Are you guys like thick? Are you guys thick? It's her birthday party. We're sturdy. Pause. Pause. Time out. I'm thick. It's thick in the head, Captain. Listen. Sorry, Colonel.
I can't focus with this guy over there. What's your problem? I can't focus with him. What's the matter with you? Do you think I'm making up that they asked me to work? No. Do you think that I'm taking it because I don't want to hang out with you guys? I'd rather, hey, if you guys want to pay me to be on Skies, then I'd gladly go there. I'm so mad at him. Dude, Thanksgiving is right around the corner. I've got to buy a turkey. If I don't start saving now, you think I'm kidding? This is a joke to you guys. I have to start saving right now. Hey, as your friend. That's not even funny. As your friend, when you buy your $250 phone purses, it hangs out. Oh, really? Hey, I'll buy your turkey for you this year. Yeah, I'll buy your stuffing. Be at Skies at five. Three. If you guys are going to buy my Thanksgiving stuff. You kick in some cranberry sauce, I'll be there. Thank you. You fry, I'll fly. Oh, my gosh. Oh, jeez. This guy. Don't you disappoint our girl. Whatever. That's what I have to say to all of you. Yeah, I'm a terrible guy. You guys are thick. Yeah. Rob's 25.
Yeah, yeah. That's all I can tell you about him. Well, I'll be there for his birthday. Just like every year, right? We don't do nothing for my birthday. I don't have people over it because I know that my place is filthy. Well, and you want to know the reason that we're doing a barbecue at my house instead of going out to a nice dinner like we normally do every year is because I want to be considerate of certain people who don't have enough money. As you started to say, and he did the, and there you go. I basically made this party so that Rob could go. This is actually my birthday party. So Rob and Seth wouldn't feel bad about it. It sucks. We go to church Saturday nights at five o'clock. And I told Skye originally when she asked, I said, nah, we can't do it. We got to go five, right? And I thought about it. I'm like, dang it. You know, Skye's got it. I got to put that priority, you know? So I go, listen, I told Rebecca, we're going to church Sunday morning. Nice. And so we're going to go Sunday morning. Now, Sunday mornings, football, blah, blah, blah. Hey, my girl Skye, she comes first. You know what I'm saying? Well, we're friends. See what I'm saying? This is how friends interact. Look at Rob right now. How's that look like? Football.
Dude, are you comparing me making enough money to eat on Thanksgiving or football? Give me a break. Give me a break, coach person. Give me a break, coach person. Wow. Wow. So full of it. This guy. I'm sorry. I can't go out and get a new phone. I had the same phone for three years. Three years. The thing was falling apart. Sprint didn't want to give me a new phone. Yeah, because how many have I got in the past year? That throat one? Maybe you can go to more sporting events. Besides that one, all right? What did Skye say? Maybe you can go to more sporting events. What sporting event? She's the best! What sporting event did I go to? Huh, Skye? What is it? No, no, no. I'd love to know. Didn't you guys put $160 aside or whatever? I put that aside and I couldn't do it. I had to spend it on tattoos, dude. We got tattoo bills around here. Let's have a good cigarette bill.
Okay. All right. I see what you're doing here. Get out of here. Get out of here. Get out of here. You're playing a guitar hero. I'm trying to make Thanksgiving turkey on the side, all right? What are you, smoking it? All right. That's cool. Yeah. It's hilarious. Almost done. He's blowing cigarette smoke at his turkey. You ever have a smoked turkey, Mike? I don't think that's how they do it wrong. Gabe, hurry. Go buy another cotton. Whenever you guys are done. Are you glad now you decided to do this on the air? I am. I am. I actually am, all right? All right. Then finally, there's the artist formerly known. As Sir Roosevelt, Zethian Oates, the third, junior, Esquire, MD, DDS, president and CEO, as seen on TV. I'll be there, Sky. Thanks, Seth. You're a friend. Poor Seth. He's the killer. Let me tell you. This guy? Really? The guy that was dying on stage?
during the 28-hour show, and I'm the first person to run up there and save his life again from looking like a fool. And he's going to try to... What did he do? All he did was to the party. I'm sorry, Zeph. I don't know why that makes him a bad guy. Why does that make him such a villain? Look at Rob. It looks like he's like, I'm coming off of three losses. Here we go. He's like a tea kettle. It's ready to boil. You know what I mean? It's like a tea kettle. But it's been like, the flame hasn't been on high. It's been just simmering to a boil. Oh, it's there. We turned it up this morning. I'm about to whistle like McCain over here. 570-1053 is our number. You need to go to the mall. Our text is 35253. Bo Bice. That always makes you feel better. 570-1053. And to wear the tuxedo, which I'm convinced was invented by a woman. Well, they're all the same. We might as well dress them all the same. The tuxedo also functions as a wedding safety device for the bride. In case the groom chickens out, everybody could just take one step over. And the ceremony continues. That's why they don't say, do you take Dave Williams to be your lawfully wedded husband? They say, do you take this man? This is the Mikey Show. Please don't. Please check out what I'm telling you. Because it's for real, man. That check engine light on in your car is not good. And sometimes it's nothing. And Amco is a name that I can trust. They didn't come to me and say, hey, do you want to advertise for Amco? And I just said, yeah, sure. Take money and let them do it. I basically said, I got to go down there. I got to talk to them. I got to see how they do business. And when I was all done, I was willing to have my family go there. And so I'm telling you, as a member of the family, go over there.
If your check engine light's on, they'll diagnose it for free. If any additional diagnosis is required, mention your P1. You'll get 10% off on all repairs. Amco is double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Better mileage tips presented by Chevron. Here's an easy one. To improve mileage, come by Chevron and fill up with air. That's right, air. When was the last time you checked the air pressure in your tires? Can't remember? Then it's definitely been too long. Did you know even tires in good shape can lose about one pound of pressure a month? And underinflated tires make your engine work harder. lowering your mileage, but don't over-inflate them. You can usually find the recommended tire pressure on a sticker located on the driver's side door jamb. And speaking of air, air conditioning is not so hot for your car's mileage either. Whenever you turn it on, it puts an added strain on your engine. Now, at highway speeds, it's probably better to use the A.C. rather than roll down the windows because of the aerodynamics. But around town, enjoy the fresh air.
And that's another great way to get the most out of your Chevron with Tecron. Learn more mileage tips by visiting chevronwithtecron.com. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I am extraordinarily sensitive to Keith. Eddie. I'm a married man. Sky. Thank you. Sky. There's girl here. Sean. I routinely forget to zip up my fly. Boston Rob. I'm a go-getter. And Ashley. I don't watch the news. Yeah, check it out. It is 640. Ringo Starr has issued a statement saying that he will no longer autograph things or accept fan mail. Rob, I'm sorry, but the Red Sox got trounced by the Rays yesterday 9-1. Tampa hits four home runs off of John Lester. The Rays hold a 2-1 lead in the ALCS. Matt Garza talks about his performance. My job was to get as many outs as possible.
And I came up with a game plan, and it was what I did tonight. Stay hard and make them hit my fastball. Make them beat my best pitch. Maybe I might see them again in a week, but you never know. So my job tonight was to get as many outs as possible. That's pretty simple. He makes it sound very easy. He makes it sound like anybody can do it. You just go out there, that's what you do. All right, you do one, two, three, and we're done. And that's what they told me to do, and they paid me $9 billion, and it's great. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. And you can call us at 570-1053. Or you can text us at 35253. I got to tell you about this more me and McCormick stuff. Marsha Brady. Let me read you a couple text messages first. This one says, Eddie, Josh Koscheck. Koscheck. Koscheck. To replace Diego Sanchez due to injury. A better fight? Please comment. P1 Roy.
What is he talking about? I don't know, but Eddie's furiously going on the interweb. Oh, web the buffer. Buffer it. Try to buffer up the space or something. Yeah, it's a space show. Buffer it. This next text says, hey, you guys can buy Rob's turkey at the mall. Let's be one banana check. Wow, yeah, it's true. What's up? Diego Sanchez has been forced to withdraw due to torn rib cartilage. Oh. That's probably when I hugged him. It probably is. Yeah, bear hug. When he was in here. Wow. That's a manly hug. Yeah. That's crazy. I said, come here, you. I gave him a big hug. He was like. You need to be careful. He was like, hey, man, that hurt a little bit. I said, oh, sorry, dude. I don't know my own strength. I love you, brother. Now look. Holy moly. It's still a good fight. I mean, Koscik is a top five ranked fighter. So, I mean.
It's still a great fight. Yeah. That sucks for Diego. This text message says, hey, Mikey, remind Eddie it's not that bad because when Debra walked in on him playing the game, it was the first time she'd laughed in days. Mikey, tell Eddie I will totally drum for him. I'm pretty good. I'm saving the spot for Rob. I'm sorry. Rob's being offered a gig in a band. Man. I appreciate it. A great band. A great band. We're really up and coming. And, you know, I'm honored, but I just, I can't do it. I can't. I think you should think about it. I'm working. Does he want to be lead singer? Is that the deal, Rob? Are you holding out for lead singer? Oh, my gosh. Go for it, man. Power struggle. Yeah. Just think about it before you. You know what I mean? Yeah. Before you say no, I'll will and nilly. Sky's the Yoko Ono of our group.
This is going to break us up. It's true. You guys were asking for it. Mari Payton will be calling us between 7 and 7.30. Cool. To tell us what's going on with the fires. They have her obviously very busy. 7.39 this morning. Running around. Telling us what's going on with these fires. Sky, what's the latest that we know? Okay, so the latest on the fire in Oceanside, the Juliet Fire, has burned over 3,000 acres. We still have all the evacuations in place, the ones on the military base, and about 1,400 homes in the area in Oceanside. They did just announce that they have the fire 25% contained. So, you know, prior to hearing this, there was no talk of containment whatsoever. So now they're saying they believe they have it about a quarter contained, which is great. Let's just hope those winds don't pick back up.
The fire that broke out this morning in Campo, over 300 households were ordered to evacuate there. This fire is raging on both sides of the 94 west of Shockey Truck Trail. And I did just find out that Mount Empire High School in Pine Valley is your evacuation center for the Campo fire. So that's Mount Empire High School in Pine Valley for that fire. Okay. And we're going to be getting updates throughout the morning. Sky's going to have updates. Like I said, we're going to be talking to NBC 739 reporter Maury Payton between 7 and 730. She's out there right now. Yeah. In the field, as they say. Yes. Wearing a yellow slicker. Is that right? Well, that's standard issue, I believe. Is it standard issue? For reporters. All right. So that and then. I don't know. Later on, we might have Ashley just go out back and see what she sees. Okay. You know what I mean? Like Sarah Palin. Yeah, yeah, yeah. See if she can see Russia from her backyard. That'd be good. Shawnee, give me the Brady Bunch theme if you got it, please. So, Maureen McCormick, she played Marsha Brady on the Brady Bunch. Easily the prettiest, you know. Eddie just gave me a look like, whoa, are you not considering Jan? Are you not in the Eve Plum? Are you not?
Shocking. Listen, as an older, more mature guy of 38 years old, I can't deny that for her time, Alice was a looker. Yeah. Alice was a looker. Wow. She was pretty. It depends on how you define, you know. You grow to appreciate Ann B. Davis. That's right. Okay. That's right. How dare you. Eddie dropping a little Ann B. Davis on us. But anyway, so Maureen McCormick, the actress that played Marsha Brady, has written a book and says that she has had relationships. Sky, with whom? Brief romances with Steve Martin and Michael Jackson. Wow. Come on. Can you believe that? Back in the day. Michael Jackson. Yeah, the book's called Here's the Story, Surviving Marsha Brady and Finding My True Voice. She talks about walking hand in hand with Michael, little pecs on the cheek, stuff like that. Yeah. It's pretty crazy. Yeah, there's lots of crazy stuff in this book. Drug, sex. She says she missed a one in a lifetime meeting with Steven Spielberg because she was too high.
Get out of here. Holy cow. I wonder for what, do we know? For the girl, for Chrissy in Jaws, the girl that gets eaten in the first five seconds. Yeah, I don't know. It doesn't specifically say here, but I'm sure she goes into a lot more detail in her book. Peppa! What the heck? What is this? If you must know, it's true. Michael Jackson? Wow. It's a shock. It's Michael Jackson calling. Yeah, so you dated Marsha Brady? Various times. That wasn't said. I wrote a whole bunch of songs about her. Like what? Billie Jean, Thriller, Q.I.T. I don't believe this. Gotta be starting something bad. No. She said this was during the time you were in the Jackson 5 is when you guys stayed. Black or White was originally called Black is Dating White. And then I changed the name to Black and White.
You're trying too hard, Michael. I'm trying to not believe you. Come on. Oh, wow. That was weird. Scott, what were you saying? Well, I was saying, Michael, that Maureen was saying that when you guys hung out, that that was back in the days when you were in the Jackson 5. Yep, I was still black. That's true. I'm not going to deny that. Okay. I still had a nose. Oh, wow. Congrats. Thank you. That must have been a neat time for you. It was fantastic. Oh, wow. By the way, I have a question. Yeah. Am I slowing my words? Oh, wait. What? Oh, gosh. This is not good. That's all. This is not good. You're concerning us. Maybe you need a nap, Michael. I'm super tired, you guys. Yeah. I stayed up throughout the entire 28-hour show, and I never went to sleep. Really? That's right. Good man. Right now, I'm resting in a hammock inside of a kangaroo's pouch. I don't. It's really wonderful. I love it. Are you all right, Sean? Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks. All right, guys. Well, thanks for calling. Thanks for clearing that up, Michael. See you later. I love Maureen McCormick. Okay, still? Wait, what? Okay. Wow. That's really odd. Okay. Hey, George Chamberlain. Oh, thank goodness. Here he is. He's our savior. George Chamberlain.
This guy, let me tell you, he knows money. He's our money man. He's an angel with money wings. That's right. I like that. You can see him on NBC 739. Is it every morning, George, that they do that with you? Every morning. Every single morning. And what time can we see you? Wow, we started between 5 and 7, do reports between 5 and 7 during the morning news show with Marianne Cucci and Jason Ostell. Jason Ostell, he doesn't know what he's talking about, huh, George? You leave Jason alone, we love him. Eddie says that because he knows him. Eddie knows Jason and our friends. Hey, let me ask you, George, is there something in particular every day that you check first thing? Wow. First thing I do when I turn on the computer, well, first thing I do, I always get in trouble when I say this around the Clear Channel group, but the thing I do when I'm in my car driving down here is I use satellite radio. And so I'm able to listen to CNBC and Bloomberg and stuff like that while I'm driving down here. So I do a little bit of my show prep while I'm driving down to kind of find out what the heck. Never heard it. Never heard it. What do they do there? I don't even know. I'm not going to be able to tell you what they do on that. Well, it's the guys that are on, you know, the CNBC.
network on TV. What do they do on that thing? They just talk about money stuff all day long. And they don't do a real good job of it, but at least it's a resource. And so I catch that out. Then I get here, I open up the computer, turn it on, I go to marketwatch.com as my kind of go-to place. What is it? What do you see there? It's just got all the financial news. Everything that's going on, everything that's breaking stuff is right there. There's a bazillion dollars and cents, money, investing websites, but marketwatch.com is my go-to. You know what it reminds me of? It reminds me of looking at the racing form when Del Mar is here. I look at that thing and I go, it's a lot of numbers. I don't know what any of this means. Yeah, very similar. And I've said that more than one time. The only difference between the stock market and a horse race is that at every horse race, there's a winner. You don't always have that with the stock market. Thank you very much. Tip the waitresses. Thank you. Good job. Very well done. Two shows for George. And, you know, so it's crazy out there. But one of the things we learned yesterday and we're learning again this morning, everybody, everybody that chickened out last week, you missed it, guys. You missed it. You should not have gotten out of this market. I don't know that we're cured. I don't know that it's straight up from here, you know.
But we had an amazing rally yesterday, and there were people. I was with a lot of people over the weekend, and I can't tell you how many people said, Chamberlain, I give up, man. I can't take this crap anymore. I just can't do it anymore. I'm getting all my money out of the stock market. And so what do they miss? They miss, like, right now we're up about 15% from where we were on Friday morning. No, we're up about 20% from our lowest point. On Friday morning, it looked like we were going to hell. I mean, it really looked like it was the end of the world. And the Dow fell below 8,000. This morning, we're a tick away from going over 10,000. 2,000 points. 2,000 points in less than two days. Money, money, money. Wow. That's huge. 20%. Question. Is it still a good time to buy, or now has it kind of gone up to a point where it's like, eh? It's not as good a time as it was Friday morning, but it's still, again, if you're in this thing for the long run, if you're not a day trader, if you're not going to use the money to buy a car in another... A couple of weeks. Yeah, it's a place you got to have. You got to be in it. You don't have to be in it up to your neck, but you got to be in it. You got to have your foot in the water. This is amazing stuff. Show money. Yeah. That's right. Call us right now at 570-1053 if you have a question for George Chamberlain because he knows what's up. What's up? He knows what's going on with this money business. Money, money, money. All right. So the stock market.
Went back up. Yeah. And what is the number again? Tell us again. Well, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the most widely watched index of them all, is just a little bit below 10,000 right now. On Friday morning, about this time Friday morning, we fell below 8,000. And isn't 10,000 kind of like the safety, like the... Like the low. Like if we go below 10,000, people start getting antsy. You bet. Okay. You bet. So 10,000 is kind of the magic number. Like we're doing okay if we're above it. But once we start to go below it, it's scary. And to go all the way down to 8,000 is crazy scary. It was flat out scary. It was flat out scary. Did these numbers exist during the stock market crash in 1929? Oh, no. Back then the stock market, the Dow was trading at like 120. Mm-hmm. It was a much different index. And they have this big complicated thing that I don't even understand how they calculate the index. It's kind of weird anyway. Hey, one thing that was interesting is General Motors announced yesterday, and it didn't get a lot of attention because of all the stock market stuff, but if you want to buy a car from General Motors, you practically have to be a Rockefeller in that they have decided we are going to tighten down on credit quality.
We're not just going to sell a car to anybody. You've got to have a credit score of above 700, which is like very high. And so you're going to have to go scouting around to find money if you want to buy a car from somebody other than the car company itself. Money, money, money. You're going to have to go to your credit union. You're going to have to go to something like that. So that's changing big time. 570-1053. Call us and ask a question of George Chamberlain. This is P1Towboy. Towboy, how are you? Good morning, guys. How are you doing? I'm good. Now, when you ask your question, explain a little bit about what it is, and then I'll have George answer. Maybe he can help. Okay. I was wondering about IPO investing, initial public offering. I mean, today's market's really volatile, but, I mean, are there any good deals out there, and what are his thoughts on actually investing in IPOs? What's that, George? Yeah. When a company wants to become a publicly traded company, they have to sell their stock. They have to have the moment in time where they, for the very first time, sell their stock to the public, called an IPO, Initial Public Offering of Stock. I remember back, I mean, Google was the classic one most recently. When Google went public, the stock came out at $85 a share, and by the end of the day, I think it was trading at $300 or $400 a share or something like that. So it's crazy stuff, just crazy stuff. I don't even think we've had an IPO.
for about three or four months. They're so few and far between because, first of all, companies are scared silly. They don't want to bring out their stocks when the markets are low. They'd rather bring them out when their markets are high. So there hasn't been much to pick and choose from lately. That'll change, but a lot of the thrill has gone out of the IPO, the initial public offerings of stocks. But, man, I can remember some crazy ones, some really crazy ones. And the problem is, the problem is... None of us can get in. When Google went public at $85, there's nobody in this room. There's nobody in this building. There's nobody in this town, probably, that got it $85 a share. Because that's the original price that the big guys get it at. Then we have to buy it in the market. Well, it was priced at $85. The first trade was probably $200, which is the cheapest we could have bought it at, probably. Oh, wow. It's one of the more stinky things, to use a technical term. Here's the deal. George has to go do some television and radio hits, and then he's going to come back with us. So if you're on the line, just either hang on the line or call us back. It's up to you. And George will be back in a little bit. Thank you, George. We appreciate it. 570-1053 is our phone number, and our text number is 35253. Mari Payton will be on NBC 739. Mari Payton's going to call us between 7 and 730.
She's a friend of the show. She's a P1, and she's going to let us know what she's seeing out there as she's been reporting this morning from all the different locations where the fires are going on. So we'll do that coming up as well. And then don't go away because when we come back, I want to tell you about who says that they're not going to be signing any more autographs. I think we need to change the name of our band. What's wrong with Black Angus?
It's a great name for a Scottish death metal bagpipe band. But Carl's Jr. is selling $6 burgers made with black Angus beef. Well, fine, what do you want to call the band? How about hairy naked legs and bagpipes? Well, it's not as good as black Angus, but it does have a ring to it. One, two, three, four! $6 burgers made with 100% black Angus beef. It is 7-0-3. Due to the dry weather and strong winds, the red flag warning has been extended until 10 o'clock tomorrow night. Monday night football last night. It was a shocker. The Browns beat the undefeated Giants 35-14. Braylon Edwards talks about the Browns' victory. Oh, this is a new season. This is giving us new life. If you look right now, everybody in the country watching this game forgot about the first three games. Right now, we're 2-0 in a new 14-game season, so we're ready.
Yeah, how about that? But if you're a Browns fan. I'm not sure that made any sense, but all right. If you're into it. By the way, George Chamberlain will be back. He's our money guy. He had to go do a quick little hit on TV. And then he's going to come back in here. That's right, Georgie. You should call him that, Ash. See what he says. I was going to last break, but I didn't get my spot. Yeah, pick your spots, man. 570-1053. That's our number. Our text number is 35253. So I told you that there's a celebrity that says they're not going to sign any more autographs or do any more fan mail. It's not Zeth. A lot of people were texting him. He's a little overwhelmed. I was still upset. And they're like, what's up with him, man? And I'm like, no, he still does it. He'll still respond. It's Ringo Starr, actually, that said, I'm not going to do it anymore, mate. I think it'd be a bigger deal if I didn't do it at this point. That's true. Who's asking for this? Yeah. Well, I asked him for one in the hallway. It was awkward yesterday. Ringo? No. Oh, Zach. I was like, hey, dude, I know it's weird, but just for my kid, is it cool? Can you send my boob? Yeah. Luckily, I was wearing a plunging neckline. V-neck. V-neck. And he had a Sharpie. Oh, good.
He has to. He sighed and then he did it. What's up with Ringo? Ringo says that he just has too much to do. He has too much going on in his life. Starting October 20th, he will no longer sign autographs or accept fan mail. If he gets a piece of fan mail that is postmarked after October 20th, straight into the crash. Well, we have till Sunday. Yeah, so get those letters out, everybody. I wonder if he'll accept a postmark. In other words, if we, you know what I mean? Yeah, like if it was mailed out on the 20th. Yeah, like maybe he gets it next Wednesday, but it was postmarked Saturday. Does he honor it? It should count. Then if I write like 40 letters today and get them all postmarked today, but sporadically send them out, like send him one in three years, it's postmarked before the date. Yeah. Technically, he's got to honor it. I like it. P1 Amber. Good morning, guys. Hi. How are you? Good. How are you doing? Good. I just wanted to ask Oracle Eddie if he had any wedding advice. I'm getting married on Saturday, and I am extremely nervous. Oracle Eddie. Yeah, Eddie got married 7-7-0-7. Yeah. What are you nervous about? I don't know. I've been pretty much coasting up until this week, and now I'm just kind of going crazy.
Yeah, you know, I mean, for me, it was kind of like the way I would just calm down is just say to myself, well, what really is going on right now? Nothing really. I mean, we're just, you know, we're pledging our love for each other in front of our friends and family. And that's not weird. If it were strangers. Then it would be real awkward and scary and all that stuff. But, I mean, you love the guy. You're marrying him. And so, I mean, there's nothing big deal about it. And then you're going to party afterwards. She's like, oh, no, no, I forgot. I don't love him. I forgot to mention that part. I met him yesterday. That is a bad part. Just keep talking to yourself. You'll calm yourself down. Or get wasted. Or not. The first thing doesn't work. Definitely don't. Hey, Amber, what makes you nervous when you think about it? Well, yesterday I reminded my fiancé to tell his...
his groomsmen and his best man about our rehearsal on Thursday. And he's like, what rehearsal? Oh, yeah. So I'm like, are you really going to remember to show up to the wedding? Come on now. Hold your hand. So he didn't know that the rehearsal was Thursday? Oh, he did. He just forgot, I guess. I don't know. I just, I feel stressed. He should get one of those calendar deals on his phone. That's what I do. I'm going to put it on his forehead. That's right. Good idea. So how about besides that? Is that it? Yeah, I think so. I mean, and with these fires, like, I'm just worried because, you know, San Diego, anything could happen. And the place that I'm having it at was actually shut down last year because of the fires. So now it's just, like, all building on top of each other. I think it's going to go fine. Yeah. Don't stress about it. You can't control it. No. I know. Thanks, guys. All right, Amber. Have a good morning. You got it. See ya. That's Amber. So, Tara Reid, she didn't know the writer's strike was over. She's not really in Hollywood anymore, is she? She thinks it's still going on. Honestly, she really did. She was at this event last week that was being thrown at Eva Longoria Parker's place. It was like a charity event or something. And so, of course, the paparazzi was there.
And she started talking to the paparazzi, telling them that she's excited to get back to work once the writer's strike is over. And that she totally plans to get back into acting once the strike stops. Shut up. So we can all cross our fingers for that. She said that she's hoping that President Clinton just ends it all pretty soon. Get back to work. Get back to work, all you people. That is special. That was way off. Do we know how old Tara Reid is? She's got to be at least 30 now, right? You would think. She strikes me as a nice person. I mean, she really does. Every time I've seen her, we interviewed her once. I think she's a nice person, but, man, she just has a tough time figuring out what time it is. Sometimes. You know what I'm saying? George Chamberlain's back. Oh, he's back. Oh, he's back. Georgie. Yeah, that's right. Ashley calls you Georgie. That's just weird. What are you going to do? Yeah. I've been called worse. Yeah? Yeah. 570-1053 if you have a question for Georgie, as Ashley calls him. Yeah, George Chamberlain's in here. He's the money guy. You see him on NBC 739, and he helps you out with stuff. He tells you, like, what kind of things you want to be looking for if you're going to buy stocks. He's given us advice on stuff like saving for your kids and what you want to do with your kids and that kind of deal. Yeah.
I've got a question for Georgie. Go ahead, Skye. Okay. So it was just announced that the president is supposed to make an announcement today that they're going to be spending like $250 billion of this big Wall Street bailout. We, you know, or I shouldn't say we approved. We didn't get asked to approve it. No. They're going to start spending it in chunks. And the first chunk is $250 billion. Is this a good way to spend the money? Yeah. They're buying stocks or something? Absolutely. Well, they're not actually buying stocks. They're not buying stocks the way you and I would buy stocks. There's a special class of stock that is being issued that they will buy from the banks. And this puts money into motion. So this is good. What's been absolutely missing has been the liquidity. There hasn't been any liquidity in the system. This does it. It looks good. I mean, it really makes sense. Now, again, it seems every time they've done something in the past, we thought, wow, that's good. That's going to do it. And it never has. This one seems to have a little bit more stick them to it. And we'll see what happens. You know, it's just this is what I don't get about it. If the government put us out, you know, they they they are using that money to do that. Right. That money came from somewhere. I guess the Department of the Treasury. We have it in the Treasury.
Do we know as Americans how much money is in the Treasury? Do we know that? Is that information made available to us? I would assume we do, yeah. Because I think to myself, okay, what's it for? What do we use it for? We got a budget, and we got a budget that we do stuff with. And so, you know, because it always strikes me. Who has a budget? The United States, right? I guess not so much. Well, they go through the motions. But we're deeply in debt. This country is deeply in debt. Okay, so we don't really, whatever that budget says is not really what's happened. It's what we want. Pretty much. Then the bozos in Congress have to vote on this thing on a regular basis. They don't know what they're doing. I'm finding stuff out all the time. I heard the other day, I always thought that the United States money was backed by gold. That's what I always thought. There was a time. There was a time. There was a time. It was backed by gold. Now it's not anymore. Now it's just based on how successful are we. How much can you print? Yeah. I mean, there used to be time that dollars were called gold certificates or silver certificates. Those were the days, George. Those were the days, man. I remember them well, yes. P1RICO. Hey. What's your question? In the housing market and everything, when are the interest rates going to, when are we going to start seeing a drop in interest rates for refinances?
First-time buyers. Oh, you are. I mean, when the Fed cut rates last week, that brought rates for short-term rates down. Rates this morning are moving a good deal lower. So, you know, historically, man, historically, rates are still awfully low right now compared to when I bought my first house. It was 12%. I was thrilled. Oh, no, that was back in the day. I almost vomited. You know, the only reason I got 12% because the guy that owned the house was carrying the paper. Otherwise, it would have been about 15. Hey, all the folks listening out there and everybody in this room, ask your parents what the first interest rate was on their first home loan. And it was double digits, I can guarantee you. Yeah, now granted, the house was $104. Pretty much, yeah. I remember the first time my wife and I looked at buying a house. We saw this house in Vista. A friend of ours said, he was a builder. He said, I built this house. We went and looked at it. It was up on a hill, top of a massive hill in Vista. You could see the ocean from this house. And we went home. So we looked at it. It was spectacular. We went home. We kicked it around. We didn't sleep for several days. And we said, finally went back to him and said, we can't do it. We just cannot afford to buy a house for $29,000. That's when I was my first venture into radio. I was making a whopping $500 a month.
Some of you get paid now. Yeah, we're from this town in Northern California called Gilroy. Yeah. Small town. It's kind of blown up now. There's all kinds of stuff going on out there. And there's this really nice area out there. It's really nice. Well, when my dad was young, he was just a couple of years in the Navy. Somebody offered him to buy a piece of it. And it would have cost him $2,000, which to him was like a hundred thousand million gazillion. And now that land obviously is worth millions and millions of dollars. From $2,000 to millions and millions of dollars. It blows you away. But it makes you think, like if you put it in context now, what if somebody offered us a piece of land that is $2 million? Well, we think to ourselves, what? How would we do that? I know. Well, 20 years from now, it could be worth $200 million. That's right, yeah. 5701053. P1's Sean King is on the line, and he's actually got a very good question. What's going on? I have no experience with the stock market, and I was wondering what the best way to go about getting into it for the first time and to begin doing trades and all that other stuff and learning about the market in general. George has mentioned it before, but it's always great to hear this advice, George. What would you say? Well, two ways to get started. Number one, you can make an investment in something where you own a big chunk of the market.
Vanguard, Fidelity have what are called S&P 500 index funds. So you invest in that. You own the 500 largest stocks in the United States all in one fell swoop. No commissions, very low expenses. It's the simplest, easiest way to invest. Now, another way to do it is invest in things you know and understand. You know, your favorite soft drink, your favorite fast food restaurant, whatever it may be. These are mostly going to be publicly traded companies. I mean, Pepsi came out with an earnings report today. They do it every quarter. And it was really a pretty good number. They're doing well. They're doing everywhere in the world but the United States. So that's what you want to own. It's a company that can benefit from other stuff that's going on, not just what's going on here. And eventually, they'll do great in the United States. So if you're a big Pepsi fan or if you prefer Coca-Cola, look at those stocks. You can invest $100 in those stocks by going directly to the company. buying through what they call the direct purchase program so you can avoid dealing with a stock broker who will only make you broker. So, you know, that's the way to do it. All right. Now, you people in your 20s that are listening right now, they're just getting started. And Boston Rob, you're going to love this call. This is a call that you really got to listen to what George is about to say. We got P1 Broke on the line. Are you there, P1 Broke? You got credit card debt of about 200 bucks a month. Yeah.
Actually, I have a credit card. It's at $3,500. And when I got out of the baby, I had a hard time getting a job, so I wasn't making ends meet. And I was pregnant, having a baby. So it went to collections, and then I got a job, and then I was trying to call them to pay it off. Well, at that time, it went to a law firm, and they were telling me, no, we'll only accept $200 a month. We'll accept nothing else. I really want to pay this off, but they won't accept my offer. I'm offering them like $150. They won't even go there. So, I mean, I don't know what to do. All right. Try this. There are a couple of really good organizations in town. One is called Springboard. Another is Consumer Credit Counseling Services. Just look them up in the phone book or online. You'll find them there. Credit.org is one to go to. That's for Springboard. Credit.org. It may be too late, to be honest with you, as far as doing any kind of debt consolidation or reorganization. I don't know what they can do in a situation that's gotten as far as yours has. But you know what I would do? Keep sending them $150 a month. Ignore the $200 thing. Just keep sending it because that will show that you are making the effort. And I was going to use the term, but just do it.
And they're going to take the money. They want you to pay $200 a month because they get paid a commission on what you send in there. So they want you to pay as much as you can. You send that in. Trust me, they'll cash the check. And that's all you'll need to verify if they ever try to get even nastier. Say, look, I've been sending them money. They've been cashing the check. I don't know what more I can do. This is what I can do right now. I love it. That's great advice. Do you think it's a scare tactic? Of course it is. Like I said, they won't take it unless it's $200 what they're asking. Oh, they'll take it. Trust me, they'll take it. Interesting. Who knew? I didn't know that. I thought that they were doing, you know. Listen, seriously, if anybody else out there has got credit card bills and they don't even open the envelopes when they come, they're just scared silly. Get in touch with Springboard. Get in touch with Consumer Credit Counseling Services. I won't even identify my relationship with this person, but somebody I know was pretty far gone. They were just not going to make it. They were even thinking about foreclosure or bankruptcy. And I said, call these people right now. When she called me back, she was crying because within about 15 minutes, they had said she knew that she had whatever the amount was in her lifetime. She probably wasn't going to pay this stuff off because every time she made a payment.
She got the statement the next month. She was deeper in debt because the interest rates were so damn high. She called these people up. They set it up. And she's going to have her debt paid off in four years and at a much reduced amount. Wow. That's great. So do it, guys. Don't keep stewing this stuff. Get it done now. I got a question for you, George. Fire away. My wife and I just got life insurance. Now, the reason that we did it is because if I croak. I want my wife and my kid to be safe. That's what it's all about. That's why you have life insurance. I want them to be safe. Yeah. Same deal with my wife. I can never do what she does. And it's crazy what she does with my son, you know, how she's able to manage it. And if I ever lost her, I need help. So we got some on her. Hers is short term. It goes for 20 years. Term. Term. Yeah, term. So it goes 20 years and then kaput. Mine is forever. Somebody is calling in right now, and they have a question about this, and I think that my, you know. You're not going to like my answer. Okay, but let's take a listen. P1 Vicky, are you there? Yes, good morning. Go ahead and ask George your question. Okay, about seven years ago, I purchased whole life insurance through Prudential. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. That's a bad sign. He's already upset.
And it's like, you know, the way it was given to me at the time, it made sense. And, you know, it's tested and it's this whole, you know, you can get money out of it. Blah, blah, blah, blah. So now all I'm here is, no, get rid of it. You know, if you're going to get it, it should be term. But, you know, I'm 32 now and I've had this since I was like 25. And now I'm like, okay, so now is all that money just going to go down the drain that I've, you know, spent every year paying this insurance policy? No, it's not going to go down the drain. There is some residual value there, but not a lot, I'm afraid. Man, anybody out there who is under the age of 50, don't you ever buy anything but term life insurance. Please don't ever buy anything other than term life insurance. You want to know, I'm sure there's people out there in the insurance industry listening and saying, Chamberlain, don't do it, don't do it, don't do it. I'm going to do it. That first check you write to them? Yeah. 65% of it goes to commission. On who? To who? To the wonderful person who told you what a great thing this was to do. My guy told me he gets 1%. Oh, he's lying to you. Come on. You know, 1%. Come on. Now, you know, if he say, that's fantastic. I want to prove Chamberlain wrong. Show it to me in writing where I only had to pay 1%.
It was in writing. I think it said 1%, and he went to it and showed me. I think I'm going to write my wife. All right. I would just be very careful. I mean, the whole range of products in the whole life area, it's one of those things that sounds so good on paper, but when you dig into it a little bit deeper, you're really paying the highest possible fee that you can for insurance. Term is the kind of policy you want to have. Now, I don't... I don't even, this sounds so bad, I don't know what my life insurance is. Like, you know, we get options here through the company, and I just picked the one in the middle because I figured, you know, I can spend that money, but I'm not the richest person, so I can't pick the top tier. So I have like four times life, but I don't even know what that means. Is that a term life insurance or not? It's probably a version of term, yeah. Yeah, it definitely is term if you bought it through the company. All right, so now here's a question. I remember that there was something that was said that was like, you can cancel this if you want to within so many days. Yeah. Now, what would you say? Life insurance is good, just not whole term. Yeah, I mean. Short term is good if you're under what age? Term or whole life. Well, if you're a healthy person under the age of 50, you can still get very cheap term life insurance.
And if you're over 50, you really have to question why do you even have life insurance other than maybe for some estate planning purposes. But certainly you don't need term life insurance just to protect your family. It's sort of the bell curve thing. Just to be real quick, you need life insurance when you're young, you've got a family, and you've got a mortgage. The kids go off on their own careers. They're doing well. The house is paid for. Why do you need life insurance? You know, you really don't need it. And then when you go start going down the bell curve, you need life insurance maybe to deal with estate planning things. But that's so far down the road. What about this whole thing about, you know, and if you need to take out money and if you need to use money on it, you can always do that. What about that stuff? Is that for real? It's, yeah, it is. But you don't like it because you say there's a better way to do that if you want liquid money. Well, I'd rather not sock a lot of money into life insurance and then say if you need to borrow against it, you can. I'd rather just pay them a couple hundred bucks a year and forget about it. Right. You know, buying term life insurance. You know, nobody ever wakes up, looks outside, man, what a beautiful day it is today. I think I'll go buy some life insurance. Right. Life insurance is sold, not bought.
And so you've got to be really careful about this stuff. Statistically, based upon expenses and all the things, you'd be better off to take the difference between the term and the whole life and invest that in an S&P 500 fund. You're going to come out so far ahead at the end of time, it's not even going to be funny. Now, in terms of that whole liquid money thing, in other words, what we've been told is like five to ten years from now. this will have built to a point where we can start using against and all that stuff. You say, forget that. Just pay what you need to pay for term. Yeah. And just put the rest in the bank, you know. Just put the rest in the bank and save it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever the difference is. Yeah. It's got to be fairly sizable. And you can do that. You can go and just... Get insurance that is like a very small amount per month instead of doing it the way. Yeah. Yeah. Well, that's what you're doing for your wife. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Sure. That's what I should be doing. One guy's opinion. Yeah. Yeah. I like money, money, money. This was interesting stuff. Yeah. On any insurance policy, you have a 30 day. Here's your policy back. Give me my money back. Right. Right. So.

by Sleep Train Mattress Center. We got some slow stuff out here this morning. The South 15 pretty jammed up out of Escondido. That's just bumper to bumper now from the 78s down to Villa Rancho Parkway. Starting to see some brake lights down the coastline as well on South 5 coming out of Lucadia. Slow down to Solana Beach. A little bit tight on the westbound 56 as you move out of Rancho Penasquitos in towards Carmel Valley. The westbound 52 seeing some reduced speeds coming up the hill out of Santee. Westbound 8 now backed up from the 125 through La Mesa out past Lake Murray. The 94 King Freeway, you've got a bit of a slow drive in the downtown, but the main story in the 94 is that it's shut down in both directions here in the Campo area because of the fire burning out there between Church Road and Buckman Springs. And also, I-8 is closed down to high-profile vehicles and motorcycles between Willows Road and the county line because of the high winds gusting out there. 805-5 northbound, both these freeways a little bit jammed up now out of Chula Vista up to National City. 805 continues slow again off and on through North Park and now is starting to slow down one more time into Kearney Mesa. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rock 105.3. Can you hear that? San Diego's Rock. Is this Ryan?
Yeah, this is Ryan. Ryan, what's the deal? You went to AMCO? Yeah, actually, I took your advice. Last week, my check engine light came on, and I heard the radio ad yesterday morning on the way to work, and I went to the Mission Gorge location, and Nick hooked it up. He found out that my number three spark plug wasn't firing, so I told him, hey, you know, I can fix that myself, but I told him, you know, even though he wasn't able to do the service on my truck, that he has my service. down the road for when my transmission goes out. Because he did that for free, right? Yeah, he did it for free. See, I mean, how can you not respect that? You didn't end up having, and most people, they would have charged you just to tell you that. And then, you know what I mean? And now that guy's got a customer for life. And that's basically what Amco's philosophy is. Amco diagnoses you for free, just like this guy. It's double A-M-C-O. Grilling out, huh? I couldn't help but notice the apron. It says I love steak. Big deal. I'm a steak man. What do you know about it anyway? You're just a burrito. That, my friend, as any real steak man will tell you, is not the question, but the challenge. Taco Bell's new triple steak burrito.

You can see it. He's up in there. He's getting that sucker. That was a tough transition. Welcome back. It is 737. There are currently fires burning and evacuations in place for Camp Pendleton and Oceanside as well as down by the border in Campo. How about them cowboys? Tony Romo is going to be out for at least four weeks with a broken pinky on his throwing hand. More bad news for the Cowboys. Felix Jones looks like he has a torn hamstring and their punter broke his foot. What? All in this past game against the Cardinals. That's a lot of bad luck. Head coach Wade Phillips talks about Romo's injury. Tony Romo fractured his fifth finger on his throwing hand. We don't know how long that he'll be out. You can see a pinky. It's okay. It depends on how fast that heals. But he did do it on his throwing hand. At the end of the game. He can say throwing. The one that went wee-wee-wee all the way home. We got Mari Payton from NBC 739. Hi, Mari. Hi, guys. Good morning. How are you? Good. How are you doing? Good. We're actually just about to go into the main gate at Camp Pendleton. They're going to give us a tour of the burned-out areas after this fire. Well, it's still going on, obviously.
So we're hopefully going to get some good shots of that with a pool camera. So we will be showing everyone else. So what are you seeing out there right now? Is it all smoky? Well, you know what? It doesn't look that bad. And the wind has died down. I know here in the North County, the wind has died down. But in Campo, that's where that fire broke out a few hours ago. That's where the big problem is right now. Right. But here at Camp Pendleton, it doesn't seem that bad. We were at another area. in Oceanside earlier this morning, and there were some flare-ups and some hot spots that we were looking at, but overall, it seems like they have good control of the fire there, but obviously still keeping an eye out for it because of the weather and the Santa Anas. Because you're a reporter, because you're a reporter, I think what your schedule indicates for the rest of the morning kind of gives us an indication as to how serious it is. Are you staying there at Camp Pendleton this morning? We are. I mean, we're going to take the tour right now and see how that goes. But basically, you know, during fire season and especially during Santa Ana's, we're all on standby. We know we're probably going to be working longer hours, maybe coming in early. So, you know, we have all our fire gear ready just in case.
We know how it is, especially after last October. I think that was a real wake-up call for everyone. Be ready at any time and just be ready to work around the clock. Mari Payton's online. She's a friend of the show, and she helped us out during the 28-hour show and actually ate some of Ashley's food. Have you recovered? Yeah, you okay? Yeah, I'm feeling good. Have you guys recovered? Yeah, we're good. We got some sleep. Now, we didn't have to have that bruschetta soup, though, that you had. It was not that bad. The mush? Yeah, the mush. I had some too, Mari. I know it was a little garlicky, but it was not that bad. Rob called it stew with croutons in it. It's okay now. Just tell him. Pretty close. That's pretty close. Okay. Hey, Mari, thanks a lot. We appreciate you coming on and giving us an update on what you get to see out there. No problem, guys. And if you want to see some of that footage, we're obviously going out of the base right now. It'll be on at 4 o'clock today. So check it out. Cool. Thank you, Mari. All right. Thanks, guys. We'll see you. It's Mari Payton, and she's out in the field. It was interesting watching all the reporters last night report on the fires because they couldn't get access to be on base. They weren't allowed to be on base. So what they were doing is going into the backyards of homes that backed up to the base.
So they'd be in somebody's backyard that would have like a wrought iron fence. And then on the other side of the wrought iron fence would be the base. But that's as close as they were able to get. Well, see, my dad can take people to go grocery shopping. And so that's what they should have done. They should have just called my dad and been like, hey, can we go to the commissary and get some bacon? And he would take you to the commissary. FYI, your parents offered us to take us Christmas shopping at the commissary. No tax. What? No tax. Can I go? Sky, first of all, it's cheaper, and then there's no tax on it. Wow. I had no idea. It's pretty awesome, man. We take a base run every year. We just go in there because you save a lot of money. What's it like in there? It's like Disneyland. Does it look like Vons? Does it look like Walmart? It looks like Vons, and it looks like a department store. What does their money feel like? What is this no tax you speak of? What country is this? Is the money lighter in your hand at all? Since there's no tax, does a five feel like a five? The question really is, is the ham taxed or not? Do they sell ham?
Yes. Please tell me yes. Is there a honey baked on base? Is it called honey base? Honey base. Honey based ham. So basically you're telling me it's like the mall. Never gets old, right, Skye? Never. Beautiful. I love it every time. Never gets old. I heard you do. That's awesome. This guy's going to be a 31-year-old woman pretty soon, you guys. Oh, Bice! What the heck happened? That's right. Spicy. What are we doing? What are we doing at your place this weekend? Are we talking a little board game action? Yeah, what's going on? What are you doing? Get out of here, you. Dirty mouth. What's happening at 7 o'clock? Is that when the Twister board comes out? And if, Boo, if you're just waking up, you should know that Rob is flaking on Saturday. Yeah. I'm going to be there. I'm going to be there late. He's got a set of rocks on him. Well, thank you, Mike. Oh. Thank you for noticing. It takes brass balls. Unreal. Well, we're just doing a very simple barbecue. Maybe some...
Burgers and dogs, you know, just the simple stuff. Burgers and ducks? Yep, so burgers and ducks. Everybody's favorite. Nice. And we're going to... Is the boo making, like, specialty burgers? Oh, I knew it. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. Hey, he realizes foodies are going to be there and judging. And non-foodies are going to be there. There are no such things. I only met myself or Rebecca. Talk to me about what he has discussed in terms of burgers and dogs. He's a foodie. Burgers and ducks. Of course, when it comes to the dogs. Burgers and brats. He keeps talking about brats. And sausages. Sausages. Sausages. Sausages. And whatever. I just want a normal hot dog. No. And then. You want brats. And then when it comes to burgers, he has started talking some talk about like. Fresh ground beef. Fresh ground beef that he will make them himself. Oh, well, of course. But he's talking about like stuffing them with like blue cheese. Can we get some bacon on there? Can I order mine?
Maybe I'll fly in. So I told him I do not care for any of that. These are all horrible ideas. What do you have to say about it? I want regular hamburgers and regular hot dogs. That's all I ask for. Come on, Sky. Why are you ruining your birthday party? So we'll probably end up doing a little bit of both. He'll make some fancy foo-foo. We'll do some regular for the normal people. And then what are we talking like board game action? Well, we're going to start at four. And because, you know, the backyard is semi-done, so I'd like people to experience the backyard. Do you have chocolate coming out of that fountain? No, there's no chocolate. Fondue. Fondue. Fondue. Fondue. Fondue. Fondue. Do it with us. Yeah, they bought an $8,000 fountain for $8.45. It's really awesome. It's our Mexico fountain. It's a Mexico fountain. It's gorgeous. Yeah, so we'll be hanging out. Corchata will be flowing through it.
An illegal jumped out of it the other day. I'm free. I would love to have some croquet or some bocce ball or something. You are the best. Outrageous. To enjoy. I ain't playing bocce on that gopher graveyard. No way, man. I'm not going to be walking. We use the head of a gopher as the ball. Not funny. Plenty of them. No, we don't. Plenty of skulls. No, we don't. Should we get a necklace out of them? Oh, no. I'm drinking out of them. No red cups. Put them up on stakes in the front yard. This is what will happen to you. That's right. Beware. And then once the sun goes down. Shut up. We're going to go inside and either play some cards or some board games, whatever people are up for. And then Eddie has informed me that we'll be watching. I've changed my mind. You changed your mind. I've changed my mind. We are no longer watching the fights. Well, I don't feel comfortable in your environment watching UFC.
I'm sorry, Seth. You can watch it, but I can't do it. What's wrong with my environment? You will be there. Buzzkill. Any action. It's a bad idea. Like the time boxing was on at Eddie's house and I thought we were watching the UFC. Yes. It was so weird. How about the time there was UFC on at my house and you thought you were watching UFC? It was upsetting. Dude, it was one of the bloodiest UFC matches ever. It was the worst. And it was like the first one she'd ever seen. It was like somebody was throwing hamburger meat around that. We didn't believe her! That was awesome. And she was not having a good time. We'll have a lot of fun without Rob. Yeah, Rob is going to be there a little late, but I'm bringing the party stuff. Party. Well said. Obviously, our friendship has a price, and Clear Channel's met it. Sold. See ya, guys. I'll be there. Monopoly's a long game, right? Monopoly. Risk.
Ashley came home yesterday with her infant dog. Aw, her baby. My baby moose. Her toddler dog. What? That thing is fat, Mike. She's a moose. I've decided. Its name is Sammy. Yeah, she's a baby moose. Pictures of her on the website. Yeah. It's huge. It was featured in the movie It's Alive. That is. You can go and see her online. Actually, Sammy is online. At NikeShow.com. I put new pictures on my MySpace page of her, too. Oh, no. 18 and over, please. Anyway, she gets home yesterday with Sammy, and she had something in her mouth. She thought it was bark. It turned out it was a dead bird. Okay. Is that not what happened? It was crazy how it happened. Is that not right, what I just said? Mike, you don't even understand. I came back from taking Sammy out like I always do. I'm on the phone with my brother. No big deal, right? She's acting like everything's fine. She's in front of me. So I walk through my door, and she kind of turns around and looks at me, and it looks as though there's like a little piece of bark, maybe, sticking out of her mouth, like a little piece of wood. So I go, Sammy, drop it. And she goes, opens her mouth, and an entire bird, a full bird. An ostrich. Yes. An ostrich came flying out. Just plops.
onto the ground. It was like the size of two bits. And the rest of the souls of her victims came spilling out all over the dock. Yeah, it was crazy. You don't understand. A license plate from Louisiana. She had no whole thing in her mouth. I didn't even see it. She opened it. The whole bird fell out. You know what kind of bird it was? It looked like a bald eagle. It looked like some type of a dove. A big bird. You know what I mean? Yeah. A dove. So Ash, I'm sure you picked it up right away and disposed of it. I put it in my bruschetta. Would have been better. You should have seen me. The bird is just lying there. Once I realized it was a freaking bird, it was on its back with its little legs in the air, just covered in slobber. I am not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Ketner voice spill out all over the dock. That's exactly what happened. And I fling the leash. I'm screaming. I'm like, oh, my God.
Can you imagine the scene of Ashley flipping out? You were on the phone, right? Yeah, with my brother. I go, Stephen, I got to call you back. My brother's, like, freaking out because he doesn't know, like, what happened. And I just hang up with him, and my neighbor starts coming out. Hey, for the record, I didn't have anything to do with it. I wasn't anywhere near it, man. I'm in jail. I didn't do a thing, man. It sounds like you. I didn't do it. Well, I think that proves there's a real killer running around. Yeah. And it's Sammy. Yeah. No. Sammy's the killer. I was watching JoJo Brown. That's right, man. Sammy's in Akita. And Ashley lives in like a house in the pool by the pool or something. Brentwood? Brentwood. Something like that. Yeah. I've seen that dog. It's a stone cold killer. That's right, man. Hey, man. Look, all I'm telling you is look at Ashley's neck. Fully intact, man. That's it, man. Yeah. All right. Evidence. Was that dove white? Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. OJ. That's weird. So what'd you do? You pick up the bird, throw it out? I, I, I.
I did not pick it up. I couldn't do it. My neighbor came out, and she was like, give me the bag, give me the bag, because I was freaking out, and she picked up the bird for me. I couldn't do it. You're an adult. You're a grown, full adult woman. I swear, if she had not come, I don't know what I would have done, because I tried to pick the bird up. I couldn't do it, because it was dead, and I couldn't pick it up. It was freaking me out. So she took it away, and it was awful. Imagine that sight. And now I have to get Sammy heartworm medication. Oh, for goodness sake. Because I think she might have some, like, bird rabies flu. Mike. That she's, like, spreading to me now. Eddie, she thinks that she could have the bird rabies flu. Call cops. Yeah, on Ashley. He was acting weird for the rest of the day. Oh, what do you think? She kept trying to jump off the couch and fly, Mike. It was not. Ash, do you think that she acquired some sort of disease and within hours it was already... If she survives eating your cookies, I think it'll be fun. What's a P1? What group is this, Seth? Say again.
Welcome back. It's 758. Two staff members for the Beckham family have been arrested and accused of stealing stuff from their home and then selling it on eBay. Tony Dungy admits that Peyton Manning actually had a second knee surgery before the season started. Cranium. You guys got to play the game Cranium when you're at Skies. What is it? How does it work? I don't know how it works. I don't remember it. It's that one that you have putty and you make stuff with the putty and then you sing and you do impressions. What does it do? You pull a card and it says make putty? They have the different categories. This one will be like make a sailboat out of this putty. Great. It always looks like a thumb. I'll bring that. That sounds like fun. You've never played Cranium? I know. We haven't done it as a group together? We haven't played that? I've never molded anything as a silly buddy. I thought we did. Maybe we didn't. Mikey, will Sky have a gopher pinata? I don't know. That's a question for Sky, really. I don't know. P1Pimp wrote that and wanted to know. Listen, I couldn't begin to imagine. Little bits of ham fall out of it. That's right. I'm fast.
You're so dumb. Actually, all the men go, so we can get a little crack in there, and then I'll go. Release the ham. Have the birthday girl. Release the ham. Mikey, does Ashley still kiss her dog? That's pew and gross. I don't know. Ash. That was the thing, because I... for the rest, because normally I do kiss her all the time, all over the place. I love her. And so, but yesterday, because I was so freaked out that she had had that dead bird in her mouth, for the rest of the day, like, I refuse to let her kiss me. Like, I would not kiss her. You're crazy. And I was literally, like, looking for, like, toothpaste to brush her mouth out. Yeah. Dude, I don't know what to do though. Because that gets rid of the flu. Yeah, it gets rid of the bird flu. Yeah. Bird rabies flu. Yeah, I got some pet toothpaste at home. I'll bring you some. You don't encourage this behavior. Do you have that finger rubber toothbrush that you put on your finger? No. No, I just used an old toothbrush. Why don't you just go to Petco? I'm going to go today after work. That's great.
She was going to try to brush her dog's teeth. Yeah, or some mouthwash or something. Mouthwash. Okay, rinse and spit. Dude, that dog is more of a pain for her. I'm telling you. Every week she comes in here with a new story of something Sammy has done. You should put it down. Get rid of it. She seriously is like my kid. Let her go free. Yeah, she comes back to you then. Then it was meant to be. Then lock the door. Yeah. She comes back to you, don't open. Oh, I don't know what I'd do without her. Like, I love, I cannot imagine my life without that doctor. Enjoy life again? I can't. I feel that. I can't imagine my life without her. Not be scared. Love her. Let's see. This was kind of funny. Ashley said that her mom was hinting to her that she'd read more. Oh. She always does. She always does that. Oh, really? Sarah, you said before you got a bad. You didn't know that? Well said. Sarah. Like reading what? Yeah, I say. Anything? Anything at this point? You should watch Reading Rainbow. Sarah, I got your subscription to Highlights. Highlights. I'm begging to read it. I'm going to quiz you later. She called me last night, and she's like, Hi, Sarah.
I'm like, hey, mom. See, I think she really does talk like that. Like, when we had her on the air, I thought she really did sound like that. I thought she was like, I'll try a couture partner. I didn't hear that. I heard it. You guys have to, like, you've got to, she was nervous when we had her on last week. But when she calls me up, the first thing she says, I go, hello? And there's, like, a pause. And she goes, ah. And she can't get, she can't get, uh. A lot of people are wondering, why does she call Ashley Sarah? That's Ashley's real name. What? Yeah, you guys. That's crazy. I know it. Nobody calls her Sarah except their mother. She's Ashley, please. She doesn't like it when you do, though. She doesn't like it. She prefers Ashley. Let me tell you. Wow, Sky.
Oh, you're dumb. So her mother doesn't know the difference between her voice and her sister's. Oh, no. Gets us confused all the time. When her sister calls, she goes, what? Her sister called her after she was on the 28-hour show, after her mother made an appearance on the 28-hour show, and said, you know, hey, Mom, it was really great. And she was like, Kara, why are you calling me right now? Shouldn't you be on the air? No, Mom. This is not Sarah. It's your other daughter. Wembley. I have another daughter. Isn't it Wembley? Brittany. Brittany. It's close. Wembley. My mom will always hint to me that I need to read more. But she'll, like, do it in ways that she thinks I don't catch on, that she's, like, subtly trying to hint. Parents hinting is terrible, man. It's the worst. Like, they don't get that we get what they're doing. Every time. We're dumb. We're not dumb, man. You know? Yeah, mom. And I'm, like, talking to her last night on the phone, and she's like, what are you doing? I'm like, I'm actually getting ready for bed, mom. And she's like, oh, you know, that's cool.
You know what I like to do before I go to bed every night? I just like to pick up a good book and I just read it till my eyes literally just close. And I really love it. It works so good to get me to sleep. Any book. I'm like, okay. You really should try. I'm like, that's a good suggestion. I actually have a book next to my nightstand right now. Read it! She's like, okay, bye. Oh, my goodness. Matt. P1, Matt. Oh, hey, Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. How's it going? Matt has a great idea. I have a great idea. Ashley. Yo. Next time your mom calls in, record the message so we can play it on the radio. Please. Yeah, I know. So we can really determine if she sounds like that. Absolutely. Yeah, we will. Because it's the best thing in the world. And when she gets laughing, because her and I like laugh identical. It's like where I get my laugh from. It just would put so much together. We had her on the 28-hour show last week. I remember. And Eddie and Sky disagree.
But I really didn't think she showed a child like that. You've got to get her in her element. Exactly like that. She does. Sorry. Later, guys. Thank you. That was P1 Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Matt. Sean had an incident with his wife. Oh, gosh. What? What the heck? At the store Michaels. Now, what's bigger news? The fact that he had an incident in a store. Or the fact that he was shopping at Michael's. My wife, she likes to do... The holiday season's coming, Mike. We gotta get the arts and crafts together. Right now, in my mind's eye, I just imagined what it smells like when you walk into Michael's. With your wife. With your wife. Or your girlfriend. Because no dude ever goes into Michael's. The only reason that a guy ever goes into Michael's is either if he's punching a time card or...
He's got a wife or a girlfriend. Or he's extraordinarily gay. No, they have the little boats and cars that you can do. I'm a scrapbooker. Yeah. What do you want? That's very masculine. That sounds gay. I enjoy that. It's prom, bro. I'm in crafts. Hey, man, I'm going to make some wreaths. What's up? Hey, dude, what's up? Hey, if there's anybody listening right now and wants to get some cool reads or any kind of crafts coming up this holiday season. Homemade. Everything's homemade. Yep. Anyway, it's Brad's Crafts, man. Just go on bradscrafts.org, dude. Just picture me weightlifting and doing crafts. With my glue gun. Yeah. My two passions in life are my glue gun and doing curls. Curls. So what happened, Shawnee? So, you know, we go in there, and my wife is very thrifty, Mike. She doesn't buy anything without a coupon. Oh, wow. And she normally gets, like, multiple coupons for Michaels. So they have, admittedly, they have a policy where you can only use one coupon per transaction. Like most places.
Yeah, so usually when we go in there, they're real cool, and my wife has a couple of coupons, so they'll just take everything, split it down the middle, and do two separate transactions. No big deal. So we go to this Michaels that we don't normally go to. Yes, we normally go to Michaels. Wow. Wow. So we go to this one. Okay. So we go to this one that we don't normally go to, and the guy just absolutely won't do it. He's like, it's against policy. And we're like, bro, we do this all the time. No, it's against policy. I won't do it. And so by this time, he had already bagged everything and put it on the counter for us. So my wife grabs the coupon out of his hand, takes the bag, turns it upside down, spills everything on the counter, drops the bag, and we walk out. Are you crazy? I was so awful proud of her. Question. Question. What the heck? We have questions. Press conference. Press conference. Press conference, please. Press conference. Mr. Sean, I have a question, please. Yeah, I see you. The short one in the back. Go ahead. I am from the Short Mexican Guy Times. Uh-huh. And my name is Mike Brownlee. And my question is, if you get...
pulled over for speeding and a cop gives you a warning two times, does the guy that finally gives you a ticket, a jerk, or is he just doing his job? Um, I believe he's, uh, I believe. Yes, sir. Yes. He is doing his job. But he doesn't have to be a jerk about it. Murmur, murmur. Question, question. I have a question. Go ahead, Sean. You call him out. I have a question. Yes, the one with the goatee there, the strapping man. Yes, go ahead. Yes, hello, Sean. My name is Eddie from the Panda Times. Were you, in fact, buying stuff for your furry outfit at Michael's? No. Were you buying stuff for your furry outfit at Michael's? Murmur, murmur, murmur, murmur. that has a voice like a trumpet. Yes, my name is Skiba D from the Thrifty Shopper Times. And I was wondering why the overreaction and why not just take the order, split it in two, you use a coupon and Dina use a coupon.
We actually thought of that by that time, but by this time, we were too far into it. The guy was obviously being a jerk, so we upended the bag. It was the only thing that we could do. Let's go for the dirt bag there in the middle. Yeah, yeah. Right here, Sean. Yes, I can smell you from here. Go ahead. It's B-Riz from the Sean. I know you can't see me, but I'm mouthing bulb ice to you right now daily. That's great. I actually hate your publication, but go ahead. Well, we're actually the only newspaper here in support of you today. Can we stop talking about your periodical thing? Murmur. Murmur. I think the guy that worked there loved his job too much, and good for you guys. Oh, jeez. Well, thank you very much. Finally, the blonde in the back, I believe, has a question. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Go ahead, yes, the one with the ugly dog. Yes, you. Oh, wow. My name is Ashley from the Bruschetta Soup Review. Thank you for having me here today. Whatever. I was just wondering. Your magazine's a mess. And my magazine is wondering as well. Love your croutons. Haven't you ever just heard of being the bigger person? Yeah. Murmur, murmur. Murmur, murmur. She put the whole tomato in. Murmur, murmur. Murmur. With a stem. With stems and all. Murmur.
I feel that we were being the bigger person by trying to teach this idiot a lesson by upending the bag and pouring everything on the counter. Do you feel better about this? Two wrongs make a right, sir. Two wrongs make a right, Gazette. And I will have everyone know that we immediately after that went to our regular Michael's and there was no problem splitting the order in two and using both coupons. Thank you. The bald guy from the Bad Karma Times. Why are people calling on themselves, man? Oh, sorry. Sorry. Anyway, since you called on me. With the orange-sized hands, go ahead. Thank you. That's me. Yes. Well, sir, don't you think it was bad form to dump that stuff out on the counter like that, sir? I think it could be misconstrued as bad form. However, I think, again, if we are actually helping someone by teaching them a lesson, I think that... Aren't you showing kids how to be monsters? We did him a service. Thank you. Follow up. Why didn't you just ask for a... Follow up. Why wouldn't you ask for a manager? Dang it. Guess he's gone now, man.

I have a whole DVD collection of Red Sox, though. And Ashley. I do my part to help global warming. On Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It is 8-19. There are currently fires burning in Oceanside Camp Pendleton as well as down by the border in Campo. The evacuation orders for Oceanside have now been lifted. Kentucky Derby horse winner Big Brown suffers a foot injury and has to retire. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. Yesterday we were in the office and Bromo from the Dave Shelling Chainsaw Show. Oh, I love him. He stopped by, and he's walking through the hall, and he saw our door open, and he said hi to us, and he started talking to us, and it was me, Sky, Zeth, and Rob, I think. Is that right, Sky? I don't know if Rob was in there, but it definitely... Yeah, I was in there. Oh, okay. And he is referring to... The story is about... I think the story was about Dave talking to Zeth. Yeah, Dave running into Zeth in the hall. In the hall. During the 28-hour show. And Bromo is...
referring to Seth as Seth. Yeah. Over and over and over. He must have said it over a half a dozen times. Yeah, at least. He said it at least seven times. Yeah, because he kept saying, yeah, and then Dave ran into Seth, and then went on the air and was like, Seth. And I said, oh, yeah, how did it get started? And he said, well, he saw Seth in the bathroom. Well, Seth. As he was leaving, and then Seth told him that you guys were, you know, doing your, Marathon show. Well, Seth. And, you know, Seth is blah, blah, blah. And so he left. And I said, please don't anybody ever tell him. No. Yes. Please don't anybody ever tell him. So good. It's just too good to, you know. It's the joke with Seth, you know. Right. Well, Seth. Thank you. We will play P1 Password in just a minute. Hang on. Oh, hanging on. Can you hang on a minute? Eddie, what kind of bagel do you always get? I get a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with butter. Do you ever get the kind of bagel that is not sweet? And if so, what? I will occasionally get a plain bagel toasted with chive spread. That's good, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't care.
I love bagels, and I'll eat them no matter what they say. And what they say is it's like eating five pieces of bread. Right. But I don't care. They're good in my mouth. What's wrong with eating five pieces of bread? I think if you're watching your carbs, that goes straight to your butt. Okay. Odors is back. Yeah, odors. So we're going to play P1 Password. Oh, Seth. We're going to play P1 Password in a second. Let's rock this joint. Yeah, we're going to rock and roll it. Should we just play? Let's do it. Now it's time for P1 Password. Yes, it's time to play. P1 Password. Yes, it's time to play. P1 Password on the Mikey Show. This is P1 Password. For the listener, it's so easy. All you have to do is call. And we put you on the air. And what we are going to do is reach into a hat and draw two names. There are seven people on the Mikey show, but Sean does not play P1 Password because he's not here in the studio. He's up in San Francisco, and we look at him on a little camera as we broadcast. However, there are six of us here in the studio. So what we do is we reach into a hat. We draw out two names, and we're going to try to communicate with one another in a game of password.
This is where I get a little confused with the directions. Here we go. You explain. Work it out. What do you want me to explain exactly? Well, how the actual game itself, you know, in terms of like what you have to describe and all that stuff. You have to get five words in 60 seconds with only passing. You can only pass up to two times. Five words, 60 seconds. You can only pass two times. All right, so I'm going to draw names. The first name I draw is the communicator. The second name I draw is the listener. Oh, and by the way, I said that no matter what, that Eddie was going to play and be the communicator. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah. All right. What do we got, Mike? All right, the first name I'm drawing is Eddie. There we go. There it is. Well, then, perfect. Dead and dead. So no matter what, it's happening. Who's my partner? Okay, calm down. Eddie, you're going to communicate with... Who's my partner? Ashley. Yes! Oh, Eddie just... Eddie just mouthed something. What was it, Mike? I got saved a few years ago, Sean, so I try not to... Well, you know what I'm saying? Here's Ashley. Look it, here she is, Eddie. She wants to high-five you. Oh, she just tried to, but then she missed your hand and she just went flying. Oh, she's still trying to high-five. Oh, there she goes.
I'm on team, Eddie. Man hands. Oh, gosh. Okay. We're yelling. Here she is. Now, here's how it works. Let's get a couple of people in line here. First up. P1 Carnet. Hey, guys. How's it going? Dude, you are going to be just kicking back, waiting to see if Ashley and Eddie can do this. Nice. And here's the deal. What do you want me to do, Ash? Turn it down? Make sure your headphones are turned down. Turned down. Everybody turn your headphones down real low. this for real. Turn your headphones down real low. Now, here's how it works. I'm going to, you don't have to do anything P1 Karn up, but sit back and see if Eddie and Ashley can do this. They have 60 seconds and basically what they're going to try to do is communicate five words to one another. Eddie can only use one word to describe each word. Alright, does that make sense? Yep. Eddie can only use one word to describe each word. I get three. That's right. Gets three. He gets to describe a word by using three singular words. There you go. Make sense? That is how we do that. All right. We're dead. Yeah. Are you ready, Eddie? No. Yeah. Eddie's communicating with Ashley. Here we go. No, the audience will hear the words. No one else will, except for Eddie. Here we go. Saw. Oh, gosh.
Tool. Hammer. Cut. Saw. Correct. Sweater. Clothing. Shirt. Winter. Sweater. Yes. Giant. Huge. Large. Andre. The Giant. Yes. Grill. Barbecue. Skewers. Mouth. Yes. Wow. Spork. No, forget that one. Here we go. Pineapple. Fruit. Strawberry. Tropical. Punch. Hawaii. Pineapple. Yes. I'm telling you, it comes from years of you guys work, you know, having to figure it out when you're talking to one another. Hey, P1 Carnot. Right? How about that, dude? You just want Eddie what he went?
Skewers. Skewers. We got those Leo Hamill gift certificates, $50 gift certificates. Perfect for Christmas shopping. You are welcome. I love that. $50 gift certificates of Leo Hamill. Hang on the line, all right? Oh, thanks. Nice. Wow. The word that they passed on, by the way, was spork. Spork? I don't know. That was infuriating. Up next is P1 Chump Change. How are you? Yeah, I'm good. How about you? Good, man. Okay, so I'm going to reach into the hat and I'm going to find out who is the communicator and the communicator. The communicator is Rob. Yes! The communicator. Okay, Eddie went to give a high five and Rob oddly fist bumped his high five. I thought we were going to fist bump. That's what we usually do. Next time, just shake the... Fist pump. All right. Rob, you're communicating with Sky. Oh, I like it. Bad combo. Yeah. Bad combo. Rob is communicating with Sky. Oh, well. Doesn't that happen this way all the time? Sometimes, yeah. This is a day of days. All right, turn down your... I know. Sky, you got to take your headphones off. Whatever. And turn them on. Turn them down. That's so true. Keep them on. All right, turn down your headphones, everybody. Stop it. All right, are you guys ready? Not really. All right.
The audience and everyone listening will hear this. However, Skye will not. Here we go. Video. Rob is having a hard time. VHS. He's talking to her with his eyes. Tape. Record. Pass. Oh, this is a bad start. Me. Rob. Take. Steal. Take. Oh, no. You missed two. Subject. Rob's like, school? Yard? English? That's the only word there is. Education? Math? Courses? Subjects? That's it. Sorry, guys. That was the worst job ever. Wow. Video was the first one? Video was the first one, Sky. You know when he looked at you for 20 seconds and finally said, VHS. VHS, one word?
You're an idiot. No, you can't do that. You can't? I figured that. We allowed it, though. It didn't help you. Oh, my gosh. Then we moved on to theft. Theft? Me. By the way. You don't say theft right away? No. Wow. Then we moved it. The last one, Sky, was subject. When he was so upset, he was so upset. Like, subject? I don't even, like. You gave good clues? I did. What's wrong with you? This time, Zeth is going to be communicating to me. You guys are always together. Come on in here, Zeth. Oh, no. Thank you. Hey, chump change, I'm sorry you didn't make it, dude. Sorry. P1 Brooke. Brooke, I'm going to be playing for you along with Zeth, all right? Zeth and I are going to be playing. Are you ready? This is a strong couple. All right, hang on, Brooke. Hang on. Power couple. All right, where do I go? Where do I go? Sky's chair, I think. Oh, okay. And where are we on this? Well, after subject. Yeah. Sheboygan. Not that difficult. All right. Sean? I'm ready.
Everybody ready? Okay. Is everybody ready to play? I am the person that has to try to get the words, and Zeth is the person communicating the words. Okay. Here we go. Screen. Me? Lazy. Phone. What? Phone. Screen. Booth. Studio? Oh, wow. Creamer. Coffee? Mug. Ashley. Breath. Fridge. What? Fridge. Oh, cream. Archery. Arrows. Indians. Olympics. Oh, bow. Challenge. Archery. Needle. Thread. Needle. Glove. OJ. Kill. Fit. Rage. Hand.
Glove. You got it. I love it. That was really good. Wow. Wow, Zeth is so much better than Rob. What was the one I didn't get? What was it? Creamer. No, I got Creamer. What was it? Booth? Booth. Booth, yeah. I didn't get Booth. Yeah, I didn't get Booth. Booth. I don't think I was going to get that. I would have said John Wilkes. And then Wilkes. Oh, dude, that would be perfect. That would have been perfect. Let's see. Brooke? Brooke, are you there? Congratulations. You won. You just won. Hey, Eddie, do we have to move on or can we do stuff here? Hang on a second, all right, Brooke? Okay. You won a $50 gift certificate to Leo Hamill. Yeah. You got to hang on a minute. What is this? Sean is so offended. I do not know this 80s song. You don't know Yaz? It's Yaz. What?
Yeah, this is Beverly Hills Cop. I love this movie. This is the theme to Cheerios and Fire, right? This is an actual movie. It's 8.34. Don't go away. When we come back, we're going to do some more cool stuff for you. In fact, we have more fire information for you of what's going on out there with these fires that are going on in Campo and also in Camp Pendleton. And I got an email to read to you next from a gal that claims that her dude is too metro. Dear people of the world, The Mikey Show is on. But at what cost? At what cost? This is The Rock. I was like a shaken puppy. That's a very common terminology. You guys don't use that? Maybe it's an East Coast thing. And Ashley. I'm always hydrated. The mic show's on. Rock 105.3. What is this? No, let's listen to the number one iTunes song right now downloaded. We got Elton John, Bill Joel. Who's number one these days? Really? Number one downloaded song on iTunes right now is Britney Spears. I would love to hear Britney Spears sing acapella, the national anthem. Yeah. Yeah, that'd be rough. I wonder what that would sound like. I wonder if she has a voice. Yeah. No? I don't think so. Because I kind of agree with Ashley. If you get the right producer, Ashley can get in the studio and make a hit record. Wait a second.
Eddie, don't you think if you get... Well, I mean... I'd kill it. I think you have to have some sort of... I don't know how to put it. Hello? I'll pay you to stop that. It's not synced up. Let's do it. Let's do this. Let's try this. Let's try this. It's called sampling. I want nothing to do with this. I'm pretending I'm deaf right now. Well, maybe her deal is like she's not really a pop singer. She's more of like a rock singer. Somebody rescue that girl. Somebody help that gentleman. What about rap?
Is this Lenny or Squiggy? Hello. Hello. Without me. Wow. That's really good. That is the bomb. Yeah, that was really, really good. So check this out. Mikey, I've heard you mention in the past that you're kind of metro. Well, you wouldn't even come close to my boyfriend on the metro style. Guy takes longer than me to get ready. He even smells better than me. Oh, wow. He's really into fashion and knows about designers and stuff. It blows me away. I sometimes give him a hard time about it, but the reality is I sometimes feel like I want him to be more manly. I'm not a diehard football fan, but I like to watch the Chargers. He won't even watch the game with me. Am I out of line for wanting my man to be more like a guy? What do you guys think? Signed, P1 Shortcake. Eddie's giving me tootie fruity fingers.
It's clear. It's clear. Yep. Little jazz walk. He's the queen bee. Jazz hands. Doing some jazz hands. Well, listen. I think that women, they want their dude to be manly. Yeah, sure. They want him to smell good. They want him to look good. You could be both. But they want him to be both, you know? Yes. They want him to be both. But here's my question to her. Didn't she know what she was getting when she started dating the dude? She must have liked him because he smelled good and he wore cool clothes. Yeah, but sometimes things kind of snowball and get out of control. You don't realize that, you know, he doesn't like football. Yeah. How did she not know? Singing Clay Aiken songs. What's going on? If I were invisible. You know what I mean? As a fellow gay man. Like Clay Aiken's like, he sounds gay. I don't know. Well, first of all, call if you can relate. And call if you're a... Call if you have the rocks to be that dude, you know, and you're like that guy and you want to call and talk about it. Put the lip gloss down for a minute. Sure. Put your compact down. Quit trying to put that on in traffic, fella. That's dangerous.
Come on, Mike. You're pretty close to your baby. I'm just saying. The guy moisturizes, yes, specific websites for his grooming products. He is a gay man. There's no doubt. He's very Seacrest. No doubt. Well, he wants to be Seacrest. I do not want to. I do not want to. You've said it a hundred times. A million times. I do not want to. I would like to be Seacrest. But Mike likes sports. He attempts to try and do manly things. Yeah, like gardening. He's a temp. He's a great cook. Yeah. No, I'd like to be Seacrest. I admit it. I am very, very Metro. He can make a great spinach dip in a bread bowl like no other. That's true. You should be proud. Oh, wait. They're not helping. Oh, yeah. No, it's true, man. I do like clothes, and I'm very metro. I like shoes a lot. I love shoes. And I know you're really into giving that memory jar for a gift, which is super fancy. See, that was wrong. Wait a minute. Rob, you know what I'm saying. That I felt was wrong. I thought that was money. It is. The tubal feelings. Hey, you can't make fun of me with your hats on like that for crying out loud. I needed to, no, because my hair needs to break.
I'm serious. Oh, who's queer now? She got permed. I was thinking about it. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, well, here's the deal. I do like shoes. I like clothes. Let's see. What else? I don't like purses. You do have a man purse. I don't have a nurse. She loves nurses. I don't have one. You do? I thought a nurse was one of those. It has your name on it. I have a computer bag. I put my computer in. He doesn't carry his makeup in there. Yeah. What does he carry his makeup in there? Well, he's got a new bag for that. The makeup bag. What else do I do? There's the woman I'm sexually attracted to. I like to cook. Yes. I do gardening, right? Yeah. I grow vegetables and stuff. Very manly. With your shirt off. Hello. Yes. Hello. Your straw hat on. But I do like sports and I like things like cars. What other things? Watches. There you go. I'm into watches. Yeah. I'm into leopard print shoes. Yeah. I have rock and roll under my.
fingernails? It's true. 5701053. You can grow facial hair? Yeah. That's right. You're cool, man. That's right. Now, I moisturize it once it grows out. Listen, what do you want from me? If you pull into a gas station and your girl gets out and pumps the gas... You're too Metro, bro. You're gay. You're filing your nails while she's pumping the gas. Or if she's out there changing the tire, come on, bro. Sack it up. 570-1053. Thank you. Oh, thank you. P1 Tim, you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Well, I heard you talking about that email, and I could have sworn at first that it was probably from my wife. I was trying to figure out if it was her or somebody or not, because you mentioned the Chargers thing, and because she complains I won't watch football with her, and she complains that I'm too Metro. Oh, thank you. Thank you. I like to play the leader. Thank you. And do you also like clothes and that kind of deal? Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
I'm wearing $2,000 to $3,000 every day I go to work. That's right. Look at you. What are you, Bill Clinton? Yeah. What are you, the owner of Krispy Kreme? I just want to defend the reason why. I'm already married, so it's not like I need to impress anybody or try to get girls to like me or anything like that. I'm very happily married. The thing is, when you look nice, it helps you to get up in the morning because you actually look forward to... You're looking at yourself every day. That's right. Totally. That's right. Hey, if you got it, flaunt it, right? Well, to me, it's motivating. If I just leave in jeans and a t-shirt, I have a different attitude all day. Yeah, to each your own, man. I mean, take a look at Rob. I mean, this guy. What? I look crisp. Crisp out of a dumpster? No. Come on. The shirt I'm wearing underneath here. I washed it last week. Oh, my goodness. Last week? Wow. I haven't worn it since. He's wearing a Red Sox t-shirt. It smells like laundry. It's the exact same Red Sox hoodie he's got over it. Yeah. Same color. It's getting chilly. Don't you feel good about yourself? Thank you. That's right. You came in here feeling like a million bucks. 570-1053. Our text number is 35253.
Well, you want a guy that's right in the middle, right? Don't you want a guy that has little aspects of it all or something? I do. Yeah. Yeah, don't you want it all? We did that in the office yesterday for two hours straight. All singing in unison. I have a question for you. Once this is over. Is your... Is your Starbucks order longer than your wife's? No. I have venti half-cash. If your Starbucks order is longer than your girl's, you are too metro. That's true. That's a good point. I love that. This is true. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I want to hear what those are. Eddie, what do you get at Starbucks? What do you order? Mocha Frap. Mocha Frap. No whip. What do you get, Rob? I go to McDonald's.
What's Starbucks? What am I, J.K. Rowling? Thank you. Who am I, Daniel Radcliffe? I can't afford that kind of stuff. What do I have, Bumblebee Tone over here? I'm not David Beckham, all right? These are all rich people. Yeah, extremely rich. I own Jerome's furniture over here. What am I, Siegfried? Seth, what's your Starbucks? What am I, Danny Gans? Out of all people, Danny Gans. Am I Danny Gans? What do I look like? Vegas' number one entertainer, Danny Gans. Oh, that's awesome. Dude, 570-1053. What's your drink at Starbucks, Seth? Just a grande americano. Are you quick? What about you, Sean? Is it hard to order wearing that Carmen Miranda hat? It is, actually. Sean, what do you get at Starbucks? I usually get a mocha. A mocha what? Yeah, don't. I know. Everybody's ordering. I like a mocha. Yeah, give me a mocha. Mocha. Make it in a sturdy cup.
I'm totally confused. Yeah, feed it to me out of a German shepherd's mouth. Why don't you just throw it in my face? 570-1053. Okay, Eddie. That is the greatest point about the Starbucks. If a dude's, if his thing, if his order's longer than his girlfriend's, forget it. Have, have, double twist. Oh, you know what? I have got Starbucks before. Soy. Soy chai. Talk about it. Lookie dookie. I forgot. Because Starbucks does this cider thing where they make hot cider. Yeah. So I got that. Before? No. Look at how tough you are. We stopped the whole show for that. Hey, guys, guys, excuse me. Excuse me. It's amazing. Have you tried it? I'm sorry. Cider interrupt. Spiced. Excuse me, guys. I put whiskey in it. I mean, Rob, you know it's just apple juice heated up, right? No, it's cider. Oh, no. It says cider. Okay, it's cider. Mocha. Mocha.
Mocha, please. Why don't you just throw it on the ground and I'll lick it up? I'm a man. This is the Mikey Show. Wow. If he says one more cool thing, he's in. This is the rock. It's a proven fact. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. It's 9 o'clock. Ringo Starr has issued a statement saying he will no longer autograph things or accept any fan mail. Sean Alexander may be back in the NFL. Reports are he may sign with the Washington Redskins. Really? Back up Clinton? I guess. Let's see. Let's see what you guys think of this. Sanjaya sent me this. See what you guys think. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. I'm going to have you play it, Sean. This is Barack Obama. Obama. Obama. Obama. And what he's talking about in this clip that you're about to hear is pie. What? Now, in one minute and 30 seconds, speaking out at this outdoor event,
At a pie rally? It's probably a pie rally. He says it like 15 times. You really got to listen for the audio because the audio is not the greatest quality audio. But I think you kind of get the idea. Just count how many times you hear him say the word pie. Cut 17. So I had coconut cream pie. The governor of Ohio, he had lemon meringue pie. So we ordered our pie. And I decided that I'm going to take a picture with the wait staff because they all say that the owner is a diehard Republican. So they want to take a picture with me so they can give him a hard time. And just as we're finished taking the picture, the owner comes out with our pie. So I take my pie. And I say, I hear you're a diehard.
Republicans, sir. That's a lot, right? Dude. He's really into it. Wow, we should kick him out of the country then. Who are you going to vote for? Yeah. Based on that clip. Well, Jake's not old enough to vote. I don't know if you guys know or not. He got a fake ID. Oh, he did? Hey, Bubba. Who's running for president? Obama. Who else? McCain. Who are you going to vote for? Yeah! Freaking cute. Did that change your mind? About what? Who you're going to vote for? Did he sway you? No. He was equally cute when he said Obama. You have no heart. He was equally cute. I even, so I get a hold of him, right? Yeah. And I start teaching him stuff. And now it's even tripping Rebecca out. Yesterday I go, Bubba, how old do you have to be to vote? And he goes, 18.
Oh, my gosh. And I go, how old do you have to be to drive? And he goes, 16. And she just shook her head. She just looked at him and shook her head. Wow. That's amazing, man. I mean, basically, at this point, we can teach him anything, you know? I mean, his little head's like a sponge. Who's Ringo Starr? Not going to sign any more autographs. Cute. 570-1053 is the number. And our text is 35253. Mikey, I just cranked up the radio and you guys got my whole office rolling. Now we're all comparing Starbucks orders to see who's more metro. It's P1 Hellenicus. Mikey, Starbucks actually adds caramel to their cider. Oh, Rob, you're a tutti frutti. Hey, I ain't no mocha, right? It says, but it's a kid's drink. Yes. It's a little boy drink. Do they give you a crayon while you wait for it? They actually order coffee, so he's like, well, might as well go to cider. Oh, that is funny. Mikey, what about Sean's crafting? Doesn't that sound a little natural? It's a P1 Staminator. You mean starting a riot in the middle of Michael's? No one started a riot. Oh, you just lit the place on fire. That's right. Guy started.
Screaming at the top of your lungs. Brutal. Kicking over displays of twine. Twine? Yes. Twine flying everywhere. Throwing face paint. Get these fake leaves out of here. Take this puffy paint. Shut it. The bedazzler's not on sale. Get out of here. How dare you. This one says, it sounds like that guy had petite feet. Oh, my. It's true. You never know. It did sound like he had petite feet. You never know. I haven't heard that in a while. It's too bad I can't find it. Oh, man. Come on. It'd be fun if you could. That should never be taken. It'd be so fun if I knew. Punch it up. We sing. We dance a little. Here it goes. Here it is. A song about petite feet. A little tiny feet. This is a good deal of song. I'm going to Michael's. No. I'll take a mocha. No. There it is. Little petite feet. Rob orders apple cider. It's delicious. You guys got to try it. Eddie, totally serious question. If you had 24 hours to live, realistically, what would you do? If you only had 24 hours to live, realistically, but not the whole 24 hours, what would you do?
He only got about 23 hours left. I would... You're so stupid right now. Come on. You would fly wherever the McRib is located. How could you go without a McRib? My mouth is watering. Wasn't somebody going to send you one, by the way? What? I don't remember. We had an internet listener that said that they lived in Indiana and they had them on sale. They were going to shrink wrap them for you and send them to you. Wow. What day of the week is it? What the heck? Does this matter? No, that makes a big difference. Oh, because of football? Oh, lame. For real, dude? So if it was Saturday night, you would watch football? Well, no, I would probably fly to San Francisco, get scalp tickets to the 49er game, and die cheering for my favorite football team. Yeah. With my wife. I guess she can come along. I don't know what I would do. What would you do, Scottie? That's so hard. I know it. Well, I would take some time, maybe an hour or two, and shut up.
and gather the family and say my goodbyes and hugs and kisses and I love you all. Toast. Toast to me, I'm about to die. So that would be my first couple hours. And then I... Money, money, money. I would take whatever liquid money me and the boo have. And just roll in it. For 23 hours. Make a perfume out of it. Why is that injected? Try to snort it. Yes. Build my coffin out of it. I would take whatever liquid money we have because obviously the booze is about to get a nice little life insurance payout. So that's okay. We can spend what we got. I will take that money, and we will take a first-class flight over to Maui or Kauai. I don't know. Oh, man, you're burning. You're burning like eight hours. Yeah. That's okay. We're together. We're snuggling. We're talking about life on the plane. Boring. And then once we get there, I'd have the fattest sweet right over, look in the ocean, maybe do a little husband and wife stuff. And you took it and died.
Should have not taken that flight. Husband and wife stuff? Yeah, and then hopefully pass away in the booze arms. Like the notebook. But he doesn't go. Exactly. He collects my life insurance money. Let's go look for some chicks. Money, money, money. See, I would have gone those lines, but I don't want to burn the time in the plane. I'm concerned about the plane. Well, what would you be doing otherwise? Not in the plane. Husband and wife still. Well, see... The thing is, too, is like, yeah. Oh, yeah. Eddie just gave the glug, glug, glug. Oh, yeah. I'd be all in on that. I'd be faking out of my mind. If I'm dying, you know, like I can't drink now. But if I was dying, listen, me and Rebecca, we'd have a couple of beers. Get the funnel out. Me and Rebecca are beer bonging. Well.
I don't know. See, and the other thing, too, is, like, don't you have to sleep during some of that? Like, no. No, it's your last 24. Yeah, but when we stayed up for 28 hours, it was brutal. Like, you got to get a little nap. Vegas would be cool. Vegas? I would love to go to Vegas and blow all my money. Come on. You don't know nothing. I'd have a heart attack before I died of whatever I was dying from. Why? Gambling away all my money. You're going to be dead. Are you going to miss it? I can't handle that. What if you triple it? She wouldn't miss it, though. And I wouldn't want to die. She wouldn't miss it. What would you do, Rob? I'd pay you a million not to die. What would you do? And we're talking about the funds and resources we have at this moment. Oh. Because in this case, I'd probably go home and just sit there because I'm broke. But if I had... He'd go home and sit there. You're so dumb. I'm broke. What am I going to do? Rob a bank? Well, you live in San Diego. It's a beautiful place. You're in love with your fiancé. Yeah, I'd just wait for someone to text me. Oh, if I was here? Yeah. Well, you are...
I would pay off my cable bill. Yeah, I wouldn't want to leave Gabe and Al. I'd see if Shawna had any, like, trade at SeaWorld. Yeah. I would still not show up to Sky's birthday party. So I'm off the hook, right? I know it's my last day on Earth, but see if I can schedule an appearance. Yeah. That'd be great. Try to get one last appearance. Well, if it was right now. Oh, my gosh. I would have to ask him a question. It really is hard. Because it's like, if I had 24 hours to live, if I left here and in one day I was going to die, I have zero dollars. Go jump in with the polar bears at the zoo or something. That's not how I... I don't want to spend my time with animals. That's stupid. Hey, listen. I would hang out with my brothers and Sarissa and I would watch the game tonight. And I'd be happy. Kick back a couple of hard-siders. Hard-sider. Hey, you know what's great about Rob's is that basically he could do what he would do in his last 24 hours right now. Ours, you know, are a little bit more complicated. I don't have options. If I could, I would get a flight from me, my brothers, my fiancé to go back to Boston.
You're going to lose a lot of time that way. Yeah, dude. Six hour flight. Six hour flight. That's it. Six hours. Plus three hour time difference. And JetBlue, I get to watch all my TV shows on there. Now, wait a second. Yeah. I just thought of something about Skies and Robs. Yeah. Because I need to accomplish getting a nap. Maybe that could happen on the flight to wherever. Oh, wait a second. There you go. And you lose time going back to Hawaii. Yeah. Or you gain time. You gain time. I'm cheating the system, bro. I just keep flying backwards. Yeah, I just keep going. Keep going. 24 hours never happened. I'm still alive. I'm in China. That's right. Okay. Ashley, what would you do? I don't know. Get rid of that ugly dog of mine. That's right. Oh, come on. I don't think I would go anywhere. I think I would just stay here. I live right by the beach. I think I'd probably take Sammy. Put her at the sea. Put her in a bottle and throw her at the sea. I'd take Sammy and I'd put her in my basket and I'd ride my bike. Your basket? This is bad. You're going to die before you even get there. My basket on my bike. You're the female Napoleon Dynamite. She's like the hot female Napoleon Dynamite.
Are you guys having a killer time? I would obviously be with my family. I'd put my dog in the basket and ride it at the beach. Then I would come home and I would do puzzles. But my lips hurt real bad. I would write. Puts the dog in the basket or it gets the hose again. Then I would drop pictures of Sammy. But she would be part Sammy, part tiger. No. A cyger. A Tammy. I think I would spend a lot of time by myself. Finally reading. Learning to read. Let's see what that New York Times is all about. Who else? Sean, what would you do? Oh, boy. Michaels. I'd go to Michaels. I'd kick over a couple of displays. Yeah, dude. Sean. Take some of that puff paint. Throw it right in that guy's face. That's right. No, I'd probably just, you know, hang out with my wife, stay home, wait to die. What else am I going to do? That's exciting. This is very romantic. I'm not sure about anything else. Very romantic. How about you, Oates? Oh, boy. Realistically speaking, I'd probably spend like half of it with my family, and then the other half I would probably go on a bender with my friends. I don't know what I would do. Come on, Mike. I don't know.
I think I'd stay home. That's what I like to do. Yeah. I don't like going places. Give me an example, Sky. Maybe I'll think about it, but I probably won't like it. Pamplemousse. That's pretty good. I'd probably want to do Pamplemousse. I totally picture you in Maui, like Mama's Fish House for your last meal. Yeah, I could see that. Please. So, okay, I'd take Rebecca. We'd go to Mama's Fish House. And what about Jake's? We'd fly to Maui. Yeah, Jake's coming. He's coming. We'd fly to Maui. I would talk about the Bible for six hours. I wouldn't even sleep. I'd want to talk about it. Okay, I'd talk about the Bible for two hours. Then I would get a four-hour nap, wake up, get off, go to Mama's Fish House, have a meal, go to, what would then, go to the beach? Wow, this is a hard question. What would people do? What would you do? Why the beach? Because I want to see it one last time. I want to see it one last time. It's kind of nice looking. It looks nice. And plus it makes you feel so small. The ocean is so huge. I don't have that problem. But I get what you're saying. It's nice. You want to see it one last time. It's a nice way to go out. What's the prettiest place to you, Rob? Some foliage. What the heck? Mike.
Well said. Talk to your boy. Some foliage? Yeah, what's wrong with that? Like what? Like, give me an example. You know, the Green Mountains up in Vermont or something. You are. Green Mountains. Dude, you know you would be at Fenway. Without a doubt, dude. Top of the Green Monster. Hey, guys. Go Lades! 570-1053. The text number's 35253. Let's hear from you. Check it out. The Mikey Show. The Dodgers are in big trouble. They lost to the Phillies last night 7-5, and the Phillies now have a 3-1 lead in the NLCS. This is a white guy with red hair singing. Good, man. You know, Rick Astley broke a bunch of records. It trips you out. Like, it trips me out to hear about Rick Astley. This guy right here. Listen, I love the music. I actually like it. But it just, he's a tall, white guy with red hair. And he brought the funk. Yeah, he did. Where is he now? That was it. Right? Guy disappeared. We told you we were going to be giving you updates on what's going on with the fires this morning. And so, from Cal Fire, we have Captain Nick.
Shuler on the line. Are you there, Nick? Yeah, good morning. Good morning. Can you give us an update on what's going on? Sure. I'm at the fire here in Campo. About 2.45 this morning we received a report of a vegetation fire on Highway 94 near Shockey Truck Trail. The fire spread quickly approximately 100 acres. We did evacuate roughly 300 homes. Fortunately, with the rapid response from crews throughout San Diego County, no structures were damaged or destroyed. Okay, and that's awesome. Currently, that fire is burning right now. You know what? Yeah, that fire is still burning, but the rate of spread has really stopped. We've really put this fire in check here in the southern portion of the county. That's awesome. There's also the fire that's up on Camp Pendleton. Fire crews are making excellent progress on that, and they will continue to do that. One thing to point out is the fact that several days ago, before these wind events even started, Cal Fire brought resources down from Northern California and pre-positioned them throughout the southern area, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego County just for incidents like this, and it's really paid off. Also, we've done that in 2007 and 2003, and we do it any time there's a significant Santa Ana wind event. Well, that's pretty cool. I didn't know that. They had people ready to go on this thing. So are you saying that the Pendleton Fire...
See, I don't know the terminology and everything. Is it fair to say it's contained? Is it fair to say that, or is it not contained? You know what? I haven't been there since last night. It's not 100% contained. They are making good progress on it. But what you've got to remember on a fire like that that I believe is roughly 3,000 acres is there's still a lot of work out there to do. What you're seeing is the classic Santa Ana wind event. We talk about this every time a big wind comes through. Be careful about fires. Have your defensible space. watch your barbecues, don't clear your property at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, all those types of informational stuff. But what's happened is because the large amount of resources, not only on the ground but in the air, we've really been able to jump on these fires quickly. Now, the people that are, you know, if you're starting to get worried, like let's say fire's coming close, I've heard that it's kind of dumb to spray your house with water. It doesn't do anything, right? Yeah, you know what we prefer you do is we prefer, for you just to leave your home, because what happens is you're trying to do the right thing, but unfortunately, sometimes you're realistically, you're getting in the way, and then at the time where you really feel in danger, you want to get out, and now our fire engines are blocking you in, and we want to be able to concentrate on saving your home rather than taking care of you. Now, if you are, let's say you haven't been asked to leave yet, and you're still at your house, and you're worried.
Is it or is it not a good idea to spray your house with water? Yeah, you know what? Spraying your house with water, you see everybody do it when there's a fire, and I understand that it seems like a logical thing to do. But really, I would think you should focus more on getting those things that really mean most to you should the fire consume your home. Those important pictures, the important documents that you have, what are you going to do with your animal, things like that. Let the professionals go in there and protect your home. Just evacuate when you're asked to and, you know, obey the evacuation orders. Sky's got a question. Yeah, I heard that the evacuation order for the city of Oceanside has been lifted. Is that true? You know what, since I'm on this fire in Campo, I'm not sure on that. Yeah, I did just read that they told the people at the evacuation center, just in regards to Oceanside only, that it's okay for people living in the city of Oceanside, not the people on the base of Camp Pendleton, but the people who live in the city of Oceanside, that they're allowed now to go back to their homes. Yeah, when I was up in Oceanside yesterday, when those fires were really coming close to the homes off the base, one thing to point out is that Camp Pendleton...
The base itself did a great job prior to these fires starting and putting huge fire breaks around their base. And what that really did yesterday, and I witnessed it firsthand, is the fact that that really provided all those homes in Oceanside defensible space. And I feel safe to say that if it wasn't for those huge fire breaks, it could have been a lot different. Oh, wow. Well, hey, that's really great information, dude. I really appreciate you coming on. Yeah, no problem. Call me back if you need anything else. Very cool. That is from Cal Fire. That's Captain Nick Shuler. Thanks, Nick. No problem. Have a good day. We'll see you. Wow. That's awesome. Better news. Yeah. It's better news than I had expected because I always tend to think bad stuff whenever stuff's going on. Well, I mean, after last year, I mean, I think we're still kind of shell-shocked. Fires again. I think everybody's like, oh, gosh, here we go again. We start tripping out. Oh, for sure. Well, yeah, because last night, you know, I was seeing the smoke from the Oceanside Fire, of course, seeing the coverage on TV. And then all of a sudden, breaking news, a fire broke out in Rancho Penasquitos. And I was like, no, no, here we go. You know, but luckily that was a small one that they were able to get under control real quick yesterday. But it was freaky. I'm learning all about anxiety. Yeah. Because I have anxiety. And so I'm learning all about it.
And one of the dumbest things in the world is you just have to breathe, which I stop breathing. I start holding my breath and don't realize I'm holding my breath. I think a lot of people do that. You don't even realize it. Like when you're stressed out, if you start taking, and you've heard that a million times, you're like, that's the dumbest thing in the world. Like, okay, I'm going to breathe. No, really, you really do. When you're stressed, you drink water, Ashley says, and breathe. She's the world breathing champion from 1998. I tell you, she won a belt in 2004 for breathing. She loves to breathe. I've been telling all of you about breathing for many years. See, my problem is I over-breathe. Yeah, it happens, too. Ashley has a breathing blog. It's breatheblogspot.org.breathe. Slash breathe. They have a theme song, too. Ashley, would you like to sing that? Just breathe. Breathe again. Breathe again. Oh, you mean breathe again? Breathe again. Breathe again. Breathe again. Breathe again. Exclamation. Exclamation. Breathe again. Exclamation. That's creepy. That's good advice. If you get stressed out, take a deep breath in. Deep breath in. Deep breath in. That's not really a deep breath. Got a text message that said, you guys are so lemon today. Oh, thank you. I definitely think that was a compliment.
Absolutely. Says it's awesome. I freaking love you guys. Lemon. Lemon. You're so lemon today. This one says my girlfriend called me gay because I order a Vente iced caramel macchiato. Wow. That's a little queenie. It's P1 Anonymous. It is a little tutti frutti finger. Mikey, better question. What would your friends do if you had 24 hours to live? What would your friends do if you had 24 hours to live? P1 Beverly. We support you. Yes. Thank you, PB&J. Yes. Support you, wink. Okay. That's right. Didn't Sky have that Starbucks thing? Oh, yeah, Sky, do you have the Starbucks thing? Yeah. Sky, where's the Starbucks thing? All right, well. Sky. Sky. Hall of Famer P1 Quimby sent Sky a link. Yeah, whoever that is over there. Yes. To type in that one.
That one. Hey, guy. Don't you think ditching out on my birthday party is enough? I'm going to be there late, and if you're sleeping, I'm banging on that door. Sky! Eddie, what is the over-under time on Rob arriving to Sky? Give me the match game theme, please, Sean. Eddie will now give us the over-under time on Boston Rob's arrival at Sky's birthday party this weekend. 7.45. And that is good. Okay, Boston Rob's appearance ends at 7. And the appearance is where, Rob? In PB. Longboards? Yeah. I take the over, and I'll put any amount of money on that over.
I'm going to talk to George Chamberlain, and I'm going to see how I can get liquid money right now. I'm going to say to Chamberlain, listen, I need thousands. Georgie, listen up. I want to put her on the over. If the over under is 745 of Rob's arrival, over, over, over. Eddie. I am going to say. Under. You're insane. Why would you do that? Why are you kissing up to Lemon? Why would I kiss up to this guy? He's worth nothing. I know. That's what I want. But I believe in him. I think he wants to hang out with us. He's got to make the money, but he will be there by 7.43. Sky. That's under? 7.43. Technically, that's under, right? Let's talk about this. No, that is under, but I don't believe he'll be there. Okay, let's hear it, and then we'll talk about it and then get our Starbucks things. Sky. Definitely the over. Give me a break. Like, if he's there. No, no, don't discuss it yet. Don't discuss how and what. Sean. Yeah, over. Ashley. That's definitely over. Zeth. Please. Under. Yeah. Yeah, there it is. Are you kidding? Rob is taking the over, I bet, for the record. Bunch of kiss-ups over here. I'm not going, so. This was fun. Let me explain. Let me explain. Rob's.
event is supposed to end at 7, but he's going to dilly-dally. You guys are not factoring dilly-dally. Although, he may need to get gas. Are you kidding me? And then there's some Sarissa time. We need to pick up Sarissa. We've got to make sure Sarissa's ready. Sarissa's going to be with him. In your face. All right, we still have dilly-dally to worry about. There's dilly-dally time. What is dilly-dally? Dilly-dally time is you wrapping up with the manager there and people that want to meet you. I'm like, do I got to be somewhere tonight? Nah, I'm fine. Don't be like this. I'm believing in you. All right, Skye, tell us about the drinks. What Skye did is she went to this website that you type in your Starbucks drink, and it'll tell you about what the drink says about you. Yeah, P1 Quimby sent us the link, and the webpage is actually titled The Oracle of Starbucks. Thank you. I created that in my spare time. Okay, so you type in your drink. Now, I currently have my drink in there. Do you want me to start with somebody else? No, start with yours. What do you drink? Yes.
I'll take the green, green, green. So my drink is a soy chai. That's it? A venti or a grande? Just soy chai? Well, I get a shot of vanilla. It's defeating the purpose. Mocha. Mocha. Mocha. Lemon. Okay. She is not boba. You're right. Here we go. Okay, personality type on the soy chai shot of vanilla. Loves money. Eats ham. Yes. The soy chai drinker loves ham products. Powerful to the sun. Money, money, money. The soy chai drinker loves vitamin yellow. Be sure and toast her. Are you ready? This toast enigma loves a good ham. Hates yard rodents and will kill them. Sky. Are you ready yet? Yes. Won't take a husband to a high school reunion. That doesn't even make sense. The sunshine drinker hates a husband at a high school reunion. And loves them all. Yes. And also loves to sit at the bar and pick up various men. Only in New Orleans. For money. Only in New Orleans.
Only at Harris. Are we ready? What are we doing again? I forget. Okay, soy chai with a shot of vanilla. Personality type, hippie. It doesn't really say that. It says, in addition to being a hippie, you are a hypochondriac and a health nut. You secretly think that your insistence on only consuming all natural products is because you're so intelligent and well informed. It's actually because you're a sucker. You've dabbled in Wicca and other pseudo-religions that attract morons. And you've changed your sexual orientation a few times this year. Oh, I wish. You probably live in California. Everyone who drinks soy chai shot of vanilla should be forced to eat a McDonald's bacon cheeseburger. Wow. They don't sell a bacon cheeseburger. Thank you, Eddie. Wow. And he gave straight face right after that. It was as if he just said that he's charged. So it says that I also drink beverages with lots of marketing that say they're herbal and organic. And I can be found. So far, all of this is true. I can be found at Whole Foods and indoor rock climbing facilities. Thank you. Well, except for the last part. Okay, so who do we want next? That was very accurate. I want to know Ashley's. I want to know Ashley's.
down. Grande Extra Hot Non Fat Vanilla Latte. Holy cow. It's a long one. What? Say it all again. Okay, it says Grande Extra Hot Non Fat Vanilla Latte. Sometimes I get it with soy. And always with a straw. Okay. Oh gosh, I don't want to read what it says. Rob, read it. I will not read that. Can you read it on the air? Okay, here we go. Is this going to make me cry? Cry, cry, cry. Cry, cry, cry. I can't do it. This is... Oh, I don't want it. This is Ashley's drink? Yeah, this is. This is awesome. And it describes her personality type. Loses camera. Yeah. Okay.
Tends to own ugly dogs. Better build an ark. Can't cook worth a lick. Shut up. You ready? Yep. Personality type. Fat. It says you're always worrying about your weight. That's because you're fat. You're constantly whining about problems that are your own fault. You are a total pain in the ass. Also drinks. Don't stop, Sky. Keep going. Also drinks Diet RC Cola and can be found on the Jerry Springer Show. Oh, my gosh. Wow. What does it really tell you? And dead on. Wow. Okay, who's next? I don't want to go. No, I'm scared. Let's do Eddie. How do you know what my drink is? You said it was a Frappuccino, right? What? What do you get, Eddie? What size? Grande Mocha Frappuccino. Grande Mocha Frappuccino.
Hello. Hello. I'm so scared now. Thank you. That was the word. Thank you. Ashley, thank you. Okay. Interesting. Oh, no. Okay. I hate this bitch. Here it is. Oh, no. Okay, personality type. Rob just ran over, read the screen, and started pumping his fists. Why is he acting like this? Oh, wow. This is my favorite thing to do. Wait until you put an apple cider there, queen bee. Yeah, exactly. You just calm down. You're going to appreciate this with me. It's going to say hello, darling. Okay. Personality type. Clueless. Oh. That's kind of true. I'm not going to do that. You don't go to Starbucks much. When you do, you just tag along with other people since you have nothing better to do. You would like to order a tozzo chai cream but don't know how to pronounce it. I don't even know what that is. Most people who drink grande mocha frappuccinos are strippers. Eddie can also be found drinking wine coolers and can also be found at the mall.
Yes! The mall. The mall. The mall. I'm there with Sky. Do mine. I want to get this over with. Okay, so you're a venti half... Calf. Calf. Do I just put calf? Venti half-calf. Okay. That's what it's called. That's all you get? Venti half-calf? Venti half-calf. Oh, no. Oh, that's awesome. Oh, my gosh. What's to be Seacrest? Personality type. You tell people that you're an executive at your company. You think that your repeated references to being addicted to caffeine make you seem intriguing and dangerous. People think you're a sucker because you spend 60% of your annual income at Starbucks. Everyone who drinks venti half-calf ends up addicted to crack. Mike also drinks Zima and can be found at karaoke booths. Wow. That would be true. That's good. So, Sean, what size mocha do you get?
Mocha. Mocha. Just mocha. Mocha. What size mocha? Tall. Tall. Is that the smallest one? He does. He gets like the little kid one. Yeah, a little baby one. Yeah. A little baby one. I usually get a short. A short. It's even smaller, right? Okay, I'll try that again. It's fruity doody. Why don't you get a little puff of vanilla or something in there? No. Sometimes I do, yeah. Sometimes I do. Okay, Sean's no fun. He's exactly the same as Eddie. Clueless, doesn't go to Starbucks much, drinks wine coolers. He's a stripper. What about cider? He's a stripper. Yeah, cider it up. Okay, what do you get? A venti cider clown? What do you get? A large cider. They don't have large. I say large. You think I'm kidding? He knows he's not large. I'm not going to stoop to their level. Oh, I'd like a fruity, tootie, fresh and fruity, fruity cup. So what is a large? A venti? I don't know. Yes. A venti. It's the biggest cup that they got. Yeah. A venti. A what? A venti cider is the same as Mike. You're an ass clown. Yes. Try and avoid caffeine because it makes you dangerous and different. Yes. And you will end up addicted to crap. Isn't it interesting that the two addicts on the show have the same exact thing? Isn't that interesting? Uh-huh. Okay. So what about?
Little guy. Little Zeth. Every once in a while. What do you get, Zeth? Grande Americana. Oh, man. Totally a crack addict. What's an Americana? It's so gross. You know what it is? What is it? They take water and they just dump espresso in it. They take hot water and they dump like two shots of espresso, right? Yeah, pretty much. It's so gross. Go ahead. Okay, Zeth. His personality type. Lame. Damn, that thing is good. You're a simple person with modest taste and a reasonable lifestyle. In other words, you're boring. Going to Starbucks makes you feel sophisticated. You'd like to be snooty and order an espresso, but you aren't sure if you're ready for that level of excitement. Wow. Wow. Oh, my gosh. So great. Let's see. Everyone who thinks America's Funniest Home Videos is great.
should drink a Grande Americana. Seth also drinks V8 and can be found on the couch at home. That is good. I love that. Thanks, Quimby. So, I'm sad. Well, that's not all it said. And a pain in the ass. That's right, it did say that. I'm a mess. This is... Oh, no, Mike. Yeah, it's actually T.I. T.I. No, Mike, you had it right. This is T.I., and his song is the number one hip-hop song in the country called Whatever You Like. And we've got to take a quick time out. But we invite you to come back, because when we come back, we'll do something funny. Step into something more comfortable, like a coma. It's Mikey. On a Rock 105.3. I was so stoked about this. Again, that's 1-800-777-4AIS. Oh, I want to hear the rest of that story so bad, but I have to wait. My mom makes the best sugar-free cookies because I can't have sugar. She makes them with Splenda. Yeah. That Splenda's like magic. Yep. Love it. You don't like Splenda, Sky? Mm-mm.
No, when we did the Mikey Show Biggest Loser a couple years ago, I bought a big old thing of Splenda. It makes me feel weird. I don't like it either. It makes me all creepy and like jittery and I don't know. Yeah, I don't like it either. And you know what I learned is it's actually not better for you. Like regular sugar, like if you get it at... You guys are haters. Henry's or whatever, and you get, like, the all-natural regular sugar, that that's better for you than Splendid. Well, maybe it's better for you. But what if you can't have sugar? Like, sugar gives you a, you know, reaction. Diabolics. Does it make you addicted, ass clown? Yes, that's right. Here's the deal. I can't see somebody making a choice between the pink, the blue, and the yellow and picking anything but the yellow. Oh, thank you. Oh, wait. The yellow? That's Splenda. Splenda is yellow. Yeah, Splenda is the yellow. Pink is sweet and low. Yeah, whatever is the pink one. Pink is sweet and low. Blue is not. That's extra. If I wanted blue, I would ask for equal. What is that, eh? It's a scene from Swimming with Sharks.
Did you see that? Is that the Kevin Spacey movie? Yeah. Wow. Where he's like the biggest jerk. He's the meanest boss ever. He's a studio executive. And the whole movie is about this guy works for him, and he treats the guy really bad, so the guy kidnaps him. But before he kidnaps him, he is treated poorly by Kevin Spacey, who plays the worst jerk ever. And that's one of the scenes. He tells him to get him coffee. He's his new assistant. Sweet and low instead of equal. So good. And he freaks out. This is a pink package, moron. Nice. And pink is sweet and low. Can you read? It says sweet and low. I want equal. That's blue. Do you know the difference between blue and pink? It's really awful. It's right up Spacey's alley, man. That's right, dude. That's what I'm saying. What were we doing? What were we doing?
Did I say we were going to do something specific when we got back or no? Nope. All right, here's some of the text we're getting then. Mikey, I drive to work to Escondido from Temecula and look forward to it because of your guys' show. Thanks for making my days. That's Bud Light's mom. Let's see. Mikey. Oh, no. I already read that. All right. We're KIOZ San Diego. Did I say that? KIOZ San Diego. There it is. That's what I was trying to say. Mocha. Sky has new releases. Oh, how are you doing, friend? Dude, Indiana Jones is coming out today. Are you serious? What? Hey, did you like that, right? Oh, wait a minute. Eddie, you just gave away. Wait a second. He was excited. I cannot wait. Eddie got so excited, I think he may have given away what won a Sky's big. Wait a second.
We can't just be excited about a movie coming out? I think that was definitely one of her big announcements. Go ahead. I'll let you take it from here. What do you got, Sky? What's the big movie? I think Tenacious D has a new album out today, too. Really? Oh, wait a minute. Now you gave away... Oh, that's two things. You gave away one of her... I don't understand. That's her big album announcement. We can't just say what's... What we're excited about? No, no, because you're taking the thunder away from what she's going to say. Oh, yeah. This is really hurtful. I don't want to do that, guys. Don't do that. So it's all yours, Sky. What else you got, Sky? All right. New video games out today. What do we got? Was it FIFA? Yeah, FIFA. FIFA soccer. That game's fun. 09, PS3, PS2, PSP. I don't know. FIFA.
Saints Row 2 for Xbox 360. Dead Space Xbox 360. Rock Revolution Xbox 360. We have Blitz The League 2 for Xbox 360. Golden Axe Beast Rider for Xbox 360. And then SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation for the PS3. There we go. New music out today. What do we have? We have Keen with Perfect Symmetry. Hey, do we have new songs up, Ash? Yes, we do. Where are they? Well, they're on the front page in light blue. Bottom right. I, I am dear. Don't tell me. Oh, no. Here's Keen. Oh, that doesn't sound very good. Is this Talking Heads? Or David Bowie? It sounded kind of good. It really sounds like Talking Heads. Dude. Then you may find yourself. Oh, that does not sound good at all. Well, not to your ears. No, I used to like that band. I don't like that at all, though. Tenacious D is coming out with the Complete Masterworks 2 DVD set. Really?
available on DVD and Blu-ray on November 4th. Awesome. So I'll make sure and remind you, Sky, on that day. Yeah, it's not November 4th, so they'll tell you that, Sky. So then we're cool, right? We're cool? I didn't ruin it. We're cool. Just so you know. Okay. Also, with a new album out today, we have Santana with Multidimensional Warrior. It's a two-disc. First disc, vocal. Second disc, all instrumental. Is it celebrities singing with them? So there's no, like, Rob Thomas or Michelle Branch or any of that business. That's boring. Who's singing him? It's another one not so great. Sounds like Ultravox. Yeah, it does. And then again, Christmas, obviously, right around the corner. We have Elvis Presley Christmas duets. He just went in the studio. He just went in the studio. Awesome. That's good. That's a girl. Where's the king? This is Elvis and Martina McBride. Yeah, the snippets had... I heard they always wanted to work together. Didn't have Elvis. Where's the king? Ashley. I don't hear the king. It wasn't in the clip. Ashley. Where's the king? Hey, man. It's an Elvis thing. Seth gives me. Oh, so it's Seth's fault. Seth's fault. Oh, wow. Damn you. Seth, how dare you? You are the worst. I'm sorry. Damn you. What's the matter with you? Carrie Underwood. There we go. Okay, so that's the music.
What's coming out on DVD? Well, Eddie, we have Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal. Really? Do tell us. Eddie, is it any good or not? Here's the deal. It's mostly good. Yeah. But there are parts that you go, eh, I don't really like that. How about that Karen Allen coming back? That's cool. Yeah. I mean, you know, if you're a fan of the Indiana Jones series, then yeah, absolutely. Are you distracted by Harrison Ford's age? No. You're not. Not at all. He seems like totally cool. He's cool, yeah. Hey, man, that old man can take a punch. He still seems cool. It's crazy. Yeah. Nothing gets him down. Well, a normal old guy like that would get punched and forget it. He's brittle. I don't know how he does it. He breaks and falls. No, that's cool. Does he fall at any point in the movie and clap? Mike, it's life alert, not the clapper. Oh, okay. No, I was thinking maybe you wanted to turn around. What if?
Okay. Also out today, we have War Inc. with John Cusack and Hilary Duff. Anybody? And anybody? Okay. Nobody. Not one. Nobody. Okay. Let's see. We have the 15th anniversary edition of Chaplin. You do. Can you do the good ones? Okay. The Ultimate Matrix Collection out today in Blu-ray. There you go. Blu-ray, anyway. If I had a Blu-ray, I would be very excited. You don't have a PS3? No. You need to get a Blu-ray player. I know. Trust me, I know. I do trust you. Trust me, dude. But Eddie trusts you already. I'm trusting. Trust me now, though. I'm very trusting. Okay. Other movies being released in Blu-ray today. We have American Gangster. Oh, nice. Casino. Who's in America? Oh, that's, wait, American Gangster. Denzel. Russell Crowe. Casinos on Blu-ray? Blu-ray today. Oh, yeah, dude. Shawnee, Eastern Promises, Blu-ray today. That's funny. One of the best fight scenes in the world. Jewel of the Nile and then Poltergeist all out on Blu-ray. Speaking of. Speaking of. Speak of it. Speak of it. Dude, I think that it's bad taste, that commercial on Sundays. The DirecTV. The DirecTV.
She's dead. Heather, whatever. Not Heather Mills. No. Whoever the little girl is that played the little girl there here in Poltergeist, she's dead. Heather O'Rourke. Oh, Rourke. And they have her in that. I was like, that's weird. It's not her though. It's like a lookalike. Is it a lookalike or did they use the movie? I think that's her. I don't know. I think so. That would be really, really double over the top. Dude, to me it was like triple over the top as is. Yeah. It's very creepy. Is that really Craig T. Nelson? How can it be? Because it looks like Craig T. Nelson 20 years ago. Hairdive, pal. Yeah. Is that what they did, do you think? Yeah, pal. Yeah, pal. All right, TV shows to DVD. We have that 70s show, the complete series stash box. CSI Crime Scene Investigation, the eighth season. How many years has that been on? Season three, Nash Bridges, first season, Partridge Family, the third season, Survivorman, season two, Back to You, season one, Little Bush, Resident of the United States, season two, Sarah Silverman Program, season two, WWE, Hell in a Cell, WWE, Unforgiven 2008.
And then finally, NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers, five greatest game, the Super Bowl victory. Enjoy. Eddie, how great does that, if you watch NFL Network, when they show the commercial for the greatest Super Bowl moments of all time video, where Cowher's chin quivers when he's talking about, have you seen this, Rob? Oh, dude, have you seen it, Zeth? Yeah. Cowher is talking about the Super Bowl win. And I can't remember what he says. First time I saw it, it gave me chills. Isn't it something about his family? Something about his family. He goes, I turned around, and my daughter was standing there. She said, and the chin starts to quiver. She said, you did it, Dad. Oh, wow. It's really great. And then they show Joe Namath, and he's totally drunk. Hitting on Tafoya. No. He's talking about... He's talking about their win in that magic Super Bowl. He's talking about the magic win they had in their Super Bowl against whoever when he's guaranteed the win. Johnny Unitas Colts. Johnny Unitas Colts. And they win when he's running out of there and they show in slow motion where he's doing the number one as they're running out. And he says, yeah, man, we did it. We did it. It's great. Have you guys seen that Nike commercial with LT and Paul Amalu?
Oh, that's awesome. That's a great commercial. That's an awesome commercial. And it helps me to get over the Chunky Soup commercial. Oh, my. I'm not really. I'm not that down with. Who would win in a chin-off between Cower and Jay Leno? What is a chin-off? Oh, dude, I think Leno is, yeah, I think Leno could take him. Yeah, definitely. I think that definitely Cower would hang in there for a few rounds. Yeah. Leno was ChimChamp99, 2000, 2001. Cower, though, man. Dude, Cower had some great chin years. He outchins most guys. Well, for sure. Don't chin me down. Don't chin me down, down, down. Don't chin me down. Don't chin me down. Mikey, now that the fires are being contained, I can finally laugh for the first time in three days. Put it on the board. It's a good point. It's P1 Eddie's biggest fan. Hey, guys, I'm a rare breed of straight men working for Starbucks. Anything other than straight espresso or plain coffee is straight up twinkle toe fingers. It's P1 Barista. That sounds gay. That's funny. Mikey, make sure Sky keeps laughing through the fires. That's P1D. This is actually the first time I've laughed, like, I don't know, in the past couple days. The whole county was on fire. Wow.
That is really touching. That's touching. Shut up. Where did you get evacuated to? She's giving you a look right now that says, I didn't get evacuated. Yeah, this is actually the first time I've laughed, like, I don't know, in the past couple days. I evacuated the boo. Where, too? I said, we're getting up out of this thing. I said, we're all getting up out of here. So hot. I said, Boo, it's getting hot in here. So hot. We're packing up hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. Boo, evacuant. Boo, I asked for a real fire hose. Evacuant? What is that? Evacuant. Boo, it's time to evacuant. Forthwith. Quickly. Warm up the chariot. We've got to get out of here. The chariot? That's right. That's right. We must. Get out of here. Fourth haste. Okay. Fourth haste? Fourth haste. Okay. Fuck you what? We must evacuate. We must evacuate. Who talks like that? No one. I know you're there, Eddie. Call the four Searsons and see if we can get a quick reservation before they fill up. The four Searsons. Get on the phone with them immediately.
We must tell them we're being evacuated and we've got to leave forthwith. If not the Forsyazons, say about the W-R. If the Forsyazons is fool, call the W-R and tell them we're being evacuated. Boo, don't just sit there. Get mother on the line. I'm starting to crinkle. Yes, call mother. Crinkle? Tell her that she is going to be an option. Everyone's full. I know she only picks me up from work, but please, please. She's used to picking me up during hot times. Have a son-boy. So hot. Tell her it's a fourth de gras. It's getting hot in here. So hot. So take off all your clothes. Warm up the vitamin yellow. Wow. That accent is something special. I'll tell you what.
Yeah, you're something else, Skye. Dallas and Seattle are playing on Thanksgiving Day and the Jonas Brothers are going to play at halftime. What did you just say? I said that on Thanksgiving Day, Eddie, when you're doing what means the most to you on Thanksgiving, which is watching football, during the halftime show, you get to enjoy the Jonas Brothers. I don't know what they sound like. Can you play a clip? I'd need one. I'd need one. But if you give me one. No, don't do it, Seth. I'm not. If you give me one. No. I don't know what they sound like. Wouldn't it make the sound quality of our show so much better? No, it wouldn't. It would make it worse. Come on. I don't know what they play, so I'd have to know. I think it's in poor taste to play Burning Up during this time. Oh, here it is. Yeah, we just got an email from Clear Channel. Corporate. Played this in my yoga class yesterday. I freaked out.
I was so happy. Oh, my gosh. They played this in my yoga class yesterday, and I freaked out. I got so into it. I was so pumped up. She is something else. Doing your downward donkey. That was. I was doing leg lunges and curls. She's outrageous. Outrageous. Damn it, dude. Which game? Which what? Which game? Dallas, Seattle. Oh, that's awesome. Come on, Nick. Think about that. He's my favorite. Who are they playing for? Who is this for? America. You know, the fans that are there, all those grown men. Yeah, loving the Joe Bros. Dude, you know what the demographic is for football? It's men, you know, 25 to 54. Same as the Jonas Brothers. Exactly, Jonas Brothers. The Joe Bros. I know that's who's buying Jonas Brothers. It probably is, actually, now that you come to think of it. It's probably a bunch of dudes buying it for their kid. Heck yeah. But they don't want it. Their kid wants it. It's like Faith Hill for Sunday night. It doesn't make any sense. It does not, dude. What's up with Faith Hill and I've been waiting all day for Sunday night? I can justify that. Please do. Faith Hill's kind of hot. She's beautiful. She's kind of hot. You just watch, you know. Dude, but there's nothing more like of a downer than rocking out to a girl. I'm telling you. I don't think you're supposed to rock out to her. Yeah, do you really? Then why is she going, I've been waiting all day.
Sunday night. I'm actually into that. Anything's better than pink. True. That's true. But dude, wouldn't it have been cool? First of all, I'm old school. Why'd they have to get rid of Hank Jr.? He does Monday Night Football. He does? Yeah. Oh, well they had to. Obviously. Who could they have done that though, that Sunday night thing? Linkin Park. Kid Rock. Well, first of all, Hate Myself for Loving You is just a dumb song to do it to anyway. Like, why is that the theme? Barely even a hit. Yeah. Why is that the theme to Sunday Night Football? Like, why not something? Why not other great Joan Jett songs? I love Sunday night. That's better. Football in the end zone, baby. Oh, you got it. You got it now. You're so good, bro.
What about, what if they would have, how cool would it have been if the Sunday night theme would have been, we will rock you. And every Sunday night was. That'd have been cool. Yeah. And they could have got some. Like Freddie Mercury. Well, they couldn't have got him. They could have got like LeVar Burton though. Somebody, somebody. Why not? I don't know. Okay. Jamie Farr. Like they could try to get Jamie Farr to do it, you know? Maybe Jamie Foxx. Cybil Shepard. Cybil Shepard, dude. Cybil Shepard's a great idea. That would be really good. The chick that played Agnes DePesto on Moonlighting. And there it is. And there it is. Why not El Toro? Sunday night. Yes. They do the Moonlighting theme for Sunday Night Football. Sunday night. We'll make some food. I love that. Dude, that would be great. Now that's good. I hate that. that Faith Hill thing. But you don't like the Hollywood premiere of seeing Antonio Gates. I like that. I do actually like that. I think that's super cool. I like seeing black dudes in expensive suits. Hey, Sky, calm down. I think that's cool, man. I love watching dudes in like a $5,000 tie.
They're sweet shades. They're watches that cost more than my house. I don't know why you guys are laughing. I think what Mike said right now was perfectly fine. Your watch costs more than your car. Minus the suit. Did you hear about Madden? No. Dude, Madden is not going to call this week's Sunday Night Football game. What? This is crazy. I guess this would be his third straight cross-country trip, and he just says, I don't want to do it. Are you kidding? That's why he's not going to call the game. He can do that? I know. It's his job. That's crazy. Well, okay, so if he's going to stay here, then that probably means he's in San Diego. No, he probably went home. He lives in the Bay Area, so he probably drove up there. I wonder where the next game is then. Find out where the next game is and where he's going to have to go. Yeah, I mean, it's weird because he was in Pittsburgh. And then came here to San Diego. Yeah. And then has to go to, I think, Tampa Bay. Right. And he said, no way. No way, Jose. Get in a plane. Get in a plane. He won't. He won't do it, though. I know. He should, though. Arizona. No, no, no. Philadelphia. Oh. So he's got to go back east anyway. I'm wrong again. Hold on. Wait a second. Hey, Joe Bro, figure it out. What week is this? Joe Bro.
Tampa. It's the 70th. This is... San Francisco. No. There is no Sunday night game. Eddie! There's no Sunday night game on Week 8. Why is Eddie toying with us? Why does he keep doing this? There's no Sunday night game on Week 8. That's weird. Why are you toying on the Marmotions? No. Wait. No, you're right. There's no Sunday night game. Well said. No. Hey. Hold on. Wait. Indianapolis Week 9. They're playing in... Wait. This is Week 8. Hanoi. Oh my gosh. Hold on. Yeah. Indy Week 9. I'm doing it. Indy versus Paris. You obviously can't handle it. Hold on. I got it. Hold on. Wait. What about LeVar Burton? Yeah, he's playing. Talk about it. Michael Dorn. What about Ken? Ken. She's the best. Would anyone like some more horn soup? It's delicious. Yes, thank you, Ken. I would. I mean, after all these years, it's still sitting out. Four years. Does it not ever get put away? It's the future. You had children, and they grew. I put them in there. They were adults. You put them in the horn soup? Yes. That's weird. Four and a half years. You didn't redecorate your house over 30 years? Yeah, that dresser is still there. It's been 30 years. Have you noticed that my wife, Ken, has the same haircut that she had? Her name was not Ken.
Very ugly. Who's Lee? Same heck. That's just as bad. That's just as bad. You're phenomenal. It's not bad. You're phenomenal. You are phenomenal. You are phenomenal. Don't talk about horn soup. It's not funny. What's the new Christian Slater TV show? Does that look any good to anybody? My own worst emnemy. Yeah, my own worst emnemy. Yep. Well said. Something like that, Mike. Any good? I don't know. Anyone see it? I don't watch it. What about Janet Jackson canceling more concerts? That looks good. Why'd she do that? Well, remember she got sick at the end of September and had to cancel some shows at the last minute? Well, she's basically been canceling shows ever since. And then just recently announced that she's canceling another pretty much week's worth of show. Now, this is the first time she's done a North American tour in seven years. Me too. And it's all junked up, Mike. But, of course, still not saying what she's sick with or what's going on. I wonder what's the matter with her. I don't know. Let's see. Helix High School has approved policy for student-teacher interaction so that they don't keep doing stuff with each other. Right. Well, that's what was happening. Yeah. I mean, they got in such trouble over there. Yeah, there were four different teachers over the last two years that were convicted of some sort of sex-related crimes involving students. Can you imagine? They're like, well, we better make some policy about this. When I read that, I don't know.
But part of the policy that was approved reads that unacceptable behavior includes kissing of any kind. Oh, really? How am I going to get an A? Yeah, I mean, they didn't have that written down before. If you have to say that. How would anyone know, Mike? Also, intentionally being alone with a student away from school or making sexually inappropriate comments. They have to say that? This is the new policy. It's very strict. Because of all the movies they were going to together? What a bummer. All the candlelit dinners. Yes, the candlelit dinners. Like, why do you have to say that? Right? I don't know. Oh, my. Yeah. There's a woman that has changed her name to URL. Well, no, no. Two-way URL. Two-way URL? Wait, what? Two-way URL. Wait. Two-way. She changed her name to a website. Oh, to a URL. What's the website? No, I don't want to give her credit. She's doing it because she's protesting animal dissections in schools, which I'm all for. Let me tell you why. Not because it's an animal rights thing. It's just gross. What's the point? Smells. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat?
When I was in high school biology, I dissected a cat. What was the point? You did? Yeah. A cat? Yeah, cats. What's the point of that? We dissected a pig. Yeah. Like, what's the point of that, though? Like, can't they just have one of those rubber dummies? You know what I mean? You got to get in there, man. What for? Really? Honestly, if they had a rubber dummy, check it out. If I have to perform emergency surgery on a cat. Would you eat your dog? What if they had a rubber animal laying there with a stomach open and you could open it up and you could, like, reach around and play with the... Eddie's right. It's not the same. What's the point? It's not as fun. It's not the same. Well, I don't think it's supposed to be fun, Sean. It's fun. Can't you just take out the stuff and go, oh, look, here's, you know, what's inside of this thing? I think it's cool to be able to actually, like, experience, like, see... The squishiness?
Like, seriously, you guys got to talk me into this and tell me why the squishy makes a difference if they put the exact same stuff. You want the sights and the sounds and the smells, Mike. It's disgusting. Also, with a rubber animal or whatever, you know, you can take it apart, put it back together like Mr. Potato Head. But if you're dissecting something real, once you make a cut, there's like no going back. I don't understand, though. Sky. Talk me through this. You got a rubber cat in front of you and inside of it, all the stuff fits together, the guts and everything. And if you want to, like, take the liver out, you just reach in there and you just pull it out, you know. But you don't respect it. You're playing with it. That's, really? Is that the deal? I don't know. I'm just speaking from personal experience. They give us a rubber thing. I'm throwing the guts at Seth. Yeah, like, I was really nervous when we did, I think we did a frog dissection. And I was really, really nervous because. Frog's child's play. Because I didn't want to cut the wrong... Redid my Uncle Phil. So this chick has legally changed her name to a website, which is an anti-dissection website. Go ahead. I don't care. Whatever. It's cutoutdissection.com. That is her legal name. So if you look at her license, it says dissection.com, cutout. So that is her new legal name. That will do nothing. It's not going to accomplish anything. Nothing.
That's a lady. Would you eat your dog? Would you eat your cat? If I was hungry enough. Oh, gosh. She needs MySpace friends. Duh. Meat is murder, and thank you. That's all I have to say. Yeah, coleslaw's definitely murder. Yeah, that's what I heard. Meat is murder! SDG&E is going to cut power. Or no, they're not going to cut power. Yeah, they didn't. Because remember a while ago, SDG&E had announced that, you know, if we have these severe weather conditions, the Santa Ana is one way that they're going to avoid wildfires is to cut power. That sounds really responsible of you, SDG&E. That's really awesome. Thank you. Yeah, so you would think that yesterday would have been, you know, the first day that something like that would have gone into effect. But SDG&E announced yesterday that they decided they weren't ready yet, about 45,000. They found out it would cost money, like they'd lose money. Yeah, about 45,000 customers in East and North County would have lost their power if SDG&E would have gone through with it. But the water districts in Valley Center and Ramona are suing to go against this. They don't like this idea because some of their systems use electric pumps. So they're like, hey, dummy, you shut down the power and we got a fire. Hey, dummy. That's what the technical report papers say. What do you think?
What do you think? So they're still working that one out. Gay couples are rushing to get married before the elections because they don't know what's going to... Why is Eddie going to high-five Rob? Well, him and Rob have an appointment for the rest of the day. What's the deal with that? Well, you know, this Prop 8 is all... You know, right now gay marriage is legal here in California, but Prop 8 is on the ballot for a vote in less than a month, which, you know, would want to overturn that and make marriage only between a man and a woman. So gay couples are nervous, you know, they don't want Prop 8 to pass, but they're rushing to the altar just in case to get in before the deadline. Eddie's illustrating. Yes, that is how it works. Eddie says in his neighborhood they have signs up all over for both, you know, for and against. I don't remember an election being this. Yeah, we got a lot of signs, too. Yeah, tons of signs everywhere, mostly for that Prop 8 and for the main election. So that's what Prop 8 is? If I want to keep marriage between a man and a woman, I vote yes on 8? Yep. Correct. All right. I know what Prop 8 is. This guy's going to vote no. Yeah, I'm definitely voting no. I'm definitely voting yes. Well, you want to take people's rights away, Mike? Yes. Yeah, Mike, way to go. Not everybody's equal. I get what you're saying, Mike. Great. Everybody is equal. I do believe everybody's equal.
Yeah, sure. You're not acting like it, bro. Well. Fight. I want to put signs in my yard, but my HOA won't let me. They won't? Really? Yeah. Well, you want to put a McDonald's sign. That's a problem. I want an Olga Diaz sign. Turn down this wall. Diaz sign, and I want an Obama sign. It's just a plant, dude. Just plant it out there. They don't need your HOA for that. Olga Diaz. What is Olga Diaz? Escondido. City Council Escondido. You don't even know anything about her. She's a Democrat. She owns the blue mug, the blue coffee mug. She owns the Blue Lagoon. Whatever it's called. Blue mug coffee. I forget what it's called. She's a Democrat. Well, my representative owns the Regal Beagle. What? You're making that up. No, I'm not. Vote for him. He's Larry Dallas. Larry Dallas. Yeah, he's running for city council in Escondido, and he owns the Regal Beagle. That's huge. There's a guy running in Carlsbad named James Bond. Oh, come on. It's the truth. Really? Yep.
I'd vote for him just because it was me. Yeah, me too. He'll probably win. I respect that he's not making a joke, you know. I respect that. That he's not playing up the whole James Bond thing. That would be kind of lame. He's just doing it normal. I disrespect that. You do? Go to the Regal Beagle and put a few back and tell me if you still feel that way. There's a guy running by the name of Duncan Hunter. Well, yeah. Is that true? Are you making things up? That's true. Well, yeah, his father was, like, here forever. Then his father ran for president. How's that? And now his son, who holds the same name, is running. Duncan. The donut. Duncan. That's weird. That's so cool. All right. Uncle Dunk. The same. Donkey Dunk. All right, weirdos. I think we're good. You're a weirdo. 570-1053. Go to the mall. 570. What if I have three? We take open phones right now, so call us. You can give us a call. We'll take it. Give us a call. We'll take it. I really love the movie Iron Man so much. Oh, really? Love it. Really, Mike? Actually, you're going to watch it? Yeah. It's really good. I really want to. Mikey Show. I had a quick question for Shawnee. Go ahead. I went to the dentist the other day, and I don't know if you guys talked about this right, but I just couldn't stop thinking about what he must go through.
When he goes to the dentist. Sean? When I go where? When you go to the dentist. Is it hard for you? No, it's not that hard. How come? Well, I got a good dentist. I trust him. He's very clean. But there's one hygienist that I only work with. What does he or she do? She appears to me to be very clean. She's an older lady. She's always gloved up. In fact, she does a thing where she takes the gloves and she stuffs her lab coat into the glove to make like a seal. So she's like totally sealed. And then she does the, shut your mouth, I'm talking. And she does the thing where she puts the goggles on and then she's got the mask.
It's good, man. It's good. What? What? Uh-oh. Sean, just give him a chance to ask you a question without getting upset at him. What about the tools? I mean, does he have to see them unwrapped out of the package? Yeah, I like it when they stay in the packaging, and then they bring them out. I like it when you call me big papa. I like it when you call me big panda. But yeah, they leave them in the package for me, and then I watch them open them. They don't mind. It's amazing if you just talk to people, you let them know that you're, you know, a little bit, oh, okay, whatever. Goodbye! Mocha! Mocha! That was a mocha moment. That was Sean Sinoff, ladies and gentlemen. Okay. Mikey Show, hello. Is this Mikey? Yes, it is. Hey, Mikey, how you doing? Good. Hey, I have a question for the Oracle. Okay. Hey, I just wanted to see how you felt about the NFL Network barely playing like a second or two of the Charger Patriots game. And, you know, why would they do that?
Are they upset about our beating and spanking of the Patriots? I'm not sure I understand your question, sir. Well, NFL Network, I mean, I was watching yesterday all day. I watched two hours of it, and only, like, for a split second, they showed the Patriot-Charger game. And then they showed everything else but our game for two hours. Even I don't know. Eddie doesn't understand. I don't know. And I don't understand. It's like when they're doing clips and highlights and their own little sports center thingy. Why are they covering all the other games but barely talking about the Chargers? They must hate the Chargers. It must be a conspiracy. Yeah. I think there's a conspiracy. I'll look into it. Cool. Thank you for uncovering that. Peter Parker is on the line, ladies and gentlemen. Why, hello to Mikey Show. Hello. Mikey, I have Iron Man 2 news for you. Oh, what do you have? They are replacing Terrence Howard with Don Cheadle in the second movie. Don't like it. No way. I don't want it. I don't want that. This is completely true. I don't want it. Prove it. Where's your papers? You can go to a website that gives you all your superhero news called superherohype.com. Oh, I just wrote it down. Thank you. No, thank you. As well as...
Perez Hilton confirmed it as well. No, he did not. Well, if Perez says it, it's true. Karen Tyler asked for too much money, so Don Cheadle stepped in because, you know, less of a good actor. There you go. Thank you for the call. P1 Buckley is on the line, ladies and gentlemen. Yeah, I'm a little confused about what's going on at Sky's Barbecue. I heard her saying something about burgers and dogs, but aren't they called hamburgers? That is true. Get it? That is true. She left out the most important part. Say it. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Missy is coming up next. And today, on the Nooner, she has the all-request lunch. It's going to be fantastic. You can call in and request whatever you want. It's really great. And we will see you back here tomorrow morning at 5.30. The Mikey Show's out late. Love you, man.
