On Halloween, Mikey, Eddie, Sky, Boston Rob, Ashley, and Sean turned Mike Singletary's pants-down halftime speech into a running joke, then lost control of both a movie-title game and a scary-movie acting contest. Callers brought real stakes: a 19-year-old worried about his fiancée's first ultrasound, the Porter family had already won $20,000 on Family Feud, and Kathy described her daughters' E. coli illnesses and Gwen's recovery from kidney failure. Sky and Mikey argued over whether racist anti-Obama graffiti could have been staged, while the group agreed with Seth Rogen that violent imagery is treated more permissively than sexual imagery. They also looped Ashley's mother's 'Hi, Sarah' voicemail and Jon Hamm's bathroom-ham sketch before Mikey closed with a frank account of childhood abuse, alcoholism, Christian conversion, and hope for people in crisis.

What happened, in order

  1. Singletary Drops His Pants

The crew ridiculed 49ers coach Mike Singletary for pulling down his pants during a halftime speech meant to illustrate how badly his team was being embarrassed.

  2. Movie Game Meltdown

A simple movie-title word-association game collapsed into arguments over the speaking order and invented answers such as 'Big Little Daddy' and 'Little Giants 2.'

  3. First Ultrasound Nerves

A 19-year-old caller said he was nervous about his pregnant fiancée's first ultrasound, hoping to hear a healthy baby's heartbeat but not discover twins.

  4. Family Feud Winners

A caller from the Porter family revealed that they had already won $20,000 in Family Feud's Fast Money round and were returning to tape another episode.

  5. Sex Versus Violence

The hosts backed Seth Rogen's argument that American media standards tolerate the gruesome Saw V poster while censoring the suggestive poster for Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

  6. Mother Explains E. coli Cases

Kathy said both infected Carmel Creek students were her daughters and described how Gwen survived kidney failure, dialysis, and a blood transfusion after contracting E. coli O157.

  7. Hi, Sarah Voicemail

The show repeatedly replayed Ashley's mother's unusually musical 'Hi, Sarah' greeting and proposed turning it into a remix.

  8. Obama Graffiti Argument

Mikey suggested racist anti-Obama graffiti might have been staged to smear Republicans, while Sky rejected the theory and admitted her own stereotype that a racist would more likely be Republican.

  9. Scary Movie Theater

In the Halloween edition of Mikey Piece Theater, the crew mangled scenes from The Blair Witch Project, The Silence of the Lambs, and Scream while callers guessed the films.

  10. Jon Hamm's Jon Ham

The crew played Saturday Night Live's Jon Hamm bathroom-ham sketch and extended it into jokes about mustard soap and treating ham like a drug.

  11. Mikey's Story of Hope

Mikey disclosed childhood sexual abuse, linked it to his later alcoholism, and said his Christian conversion gave him recovery and a message of hope for listeners in crisis.
