On Election Day, Mikey, Sky, Eddie, Sean, Boston Rob, and callers sparred over Barack Obama and John McCain, including sports reform, taxation, capitalism, Proposition 8, and sagging-pants laws. George Chamberlain told young investors not to abandon their retirement accounts during the market crash, warning against day trading and urging long-term, low-cost investing. Boston Rob interviewed voters with deliberately ridiculous questions, Jake showed off his knowledge of both tickets, and the show later spiraled into infomercial testimonials, inspirational-movie guesses, and jokes about Ashley's improvised sweat control. The crew also dissected the breakup of Deanna Papas and Jesse, with Rebecca defending their chemistry while Mikey and the others argued that their incompatibility made the reality-TV romance predictable.
What happened, in order
Candidates Fix Sports
John McCain proposed tougher action against performance-enhancing drugs, while Barack Obama called for an eight-team college-football playoff and won the hosts' approval.
Prop 8 and Jesus
A rambling listener message prompted Mikey to clarify his belief that Jesus would oppose homosexuality, while the caller argued that people need freedom to fail, repent, and find God.
Taxes Become Socialism
An Obama-supporting young business owner argued that wealth depends on reinvesting in the middle and working classes, while Mikey defended low taxes as a reward for success and labeled redistribution socialism.
Invest Through the Crash
George Chamberlain told nervous callers to keep funding retirement accounts, avoid short-term trading, consolidate old 401(k)s, reduce fees, and buy quality investments for the long haul.
Jake Knows the Ticket
Mikey's young son Jake correctly named Obama, Biden, McCain, and Palin and knew the voting and driving ages before abruptly ending the quiz with his father.
Boston Rob at the Polls
Boston Rob entertained voters stuck in a three-hour line by asking them to cast McCain and Obama as movie characters and wrestlers and invent absurd ballot propositions.
Infomercial Product Fever
Mikey, the crew, and callers enthusiastically compared purchases including Midnight Special DVDs, ShamWow towels, the Magic Bullet, Mighty Putty, green bags, and the Pancake Puff.
Inspirational Movie Meltdown
A top-ten inspirational-movie list dissolved into frantic guesses, mangled titles, Holocaust-wedding jokes, and a prolonged failure to recognize the name Hoosiers.
Ashley's Paper-Towel Fix
Ashley revealed that she had stuffed paper towels under her arms to absorb heavy sweating, horrifying germaphobic Sean and launching a debate over whether sweat is basically water.
Obama on Saggy Pants
Barack Obama said laws against sagging pants waste time needed for jobs, schools, health care, and Iraq, but added that men should still pull up their pants out of respect for others.
Bachelorette Breakup Autopsy
The crew and Mikey's wife Rebecca dissected Deanna Papas and Jesse's breakup, arguing over whether chemistry could overcome incompatibility and whether reality-show engagements ever last.

It took forever to get here, but we're finally here. Today's election day. Both candidates will vote and wait for election results in their home states. Monday Night Football last night saw the Steelers defense do a nice little filibuster on the Redskins winning 23-6. Oh, you're so political. Ben Roethlisberger was hurt in the win. Byron Lefkowitz talks about coming in after Roethlisberger's injury. I didn't really know until halftime. They just told me, get ready. And then when I came back out, I knew he was getting the ball. And I was just ready to play, man. You know, I've been waiting on this moment for a while. I know I can play in this league. I'm healthy for the first time in a while. And I'm just happy that I got the opportunity to play today. You sure that's not Ben Roethlisberger? Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is. They sound identical, though. I mean, it's hard to tell. First thing that my mind went to when I woke up this morning, I was like, wow, we're electing a president today. Don't know if you've heard, but Barack Obama is urging people to vote for Sean McCain. It's the weirdest thing in the world. Oh, that is not true. Well, that just changed my mind. Parents last night on Monday Night Football. So good. It was a little irritating for me. What? Are you sure? Well, because both guys got asked about what they would change in sports if they could change something, okay? So here is John McCain talking about what he would change in sports. Cut seven. I'd take significant action.
to prevent the spread and use of performance enhancing substances. I think it's a game that we're going to be in for a long time. What I mean by that, there's somebody in a laboratory right now trying to develop some kind of substance that can't be detected, and we've got to stay ahead of it. It's not good for the athletes. It's not good for the sports. It's very bad for those who don't do it, and I think it can... Attack the very integrity of all sports going all the way down to high school. Thank you, Mr. McCain. I wish he was a real maverick in that and said the opposite. I wish we could create some kind of steroid that has no repercussions. That would be maverick-like. See what kind of superhuman we can get to hit a billion home runs next season. Yeah, sort of super soup. Steroids. Thank you, Mikey. And then they asked Barack Obama what he would do if he could change one thing in sports. Cut five. Senator, let's bring you to our arena for a moment. If you could change one thing in sports, what would that be? I think it is about time that we had playoffs in college football. I'm fed up with these computer rankings and this and that and the other. Get eight teams, top eight teams right at the end. You got a playoff.
Decide on a national champion. And your thoughts, Mike? Irritating. Why does that irritate you? Because it's such a great answer. Yeah! Who knows that is because we talked about it earlier. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Get out of here. Get out of here. Don't act all high. But I know Obama's awesome. You don't know anything. You don't know anything. I know he's awesome. This is ridiculous. Let me tell you. I just was. Here's what I was. I thought. Because, you know, what happens is, especially when they're, you know, high powered political figures beforehand, they're they ask ESPN, which can ask our guys. And then they say, what you doing at the courthouse? They say, what you going to ask our guys? And they say, well, we're going to ask this. And so. John McCain's people. Penciled people. Penciled people. By the way. Yes, I think you should say steroids are the problem and then you should eliminate steroids. And of course, B.O. Who's B.O.? B.O.'s got a bunch of young, hip. His name is Barack Obama. Obama.
B.O.'s means body odor. So B.O.'s people are like, don't start using that. B.O.'s people are like, dude, you know what? Like, you know, all the guys listening are like, they hate the BCS. They hate it. Like, go for that. And then they fist bump. B.O. and his guys fist bump and blow it up. And then he goes on and says that and it sounds great. And kills it. Yeah, he kills it. But what about when McCain really killed it by doing some of Berman's catchphrases? I got that. You want to hear it? That was so awesome. Cut eight. Shut up. I want them to think he could go all the way to the White House. Well, he thought it was funny. And even though some pundits have written me off, that's why they play the game. Yes! No. Listen. Wow. Communicating is not my strong point. What happened? He can't tell a joke. I think he can run the country. I don't think he's a good joke teller. Man. So we'll see you later, everybody. So have a great day. What time? Are polls open now? Can people vote? I think they opened at 7, right? 7? I thought it was 7, too. It's too bad that...
You know, voting can't just take place in one hour, and we know at 8 a.m. who the next president is. Just want to know. Well, for the Democrats, it's tomorrow they vote. That's right. That's tomorrow, you guys. No, you guys. I thought it was the Republicans. No, no, you're incorrect. Democrats vote tomorrow. Republicans vote today. You have to vote Democrats. Republicans are at the day off. And if you vote Democrat today, like Starbucks is going to give you coffee. And if you vote Republican tomorrow, you get a year's worth of free coffee from Starbucks. Wow, I didn't even hear that. Have at it Republicans. Whatever. 5701053. Let's see. What can I tell you? Let's introduce. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am. 38, right? Yes. Yes, you are. I ask my wife questions about me all the time. If we're talking to another couple and they say, when did you live in Dallas? I look at my wife. And she goes, 2002. And they go, oh, when did you leave? You know, what did you leave in the winter? Look at her. Oh, that's right.
Eddie is our producer and sports guy. He is 35 years of age. He is giving Boston Rob a thumbs up. Right in his face. That's right. Wow. Rob and he are what you call boys, and they fist bump and glow it up, too. Yeah, I got to tell him who to vote for later. Yeah, that's right. You need to know what's important. Rob has already decided who he's voting for. No, he's going to do what I tell him. Well, no, he said the other day he was voting for Obama. And Palin. Is he even registered? No. Yeah, he just registered. Yeah, yeah. He just got registered. Checked it online. Like right under the wire. Hey, by the way, our comment line, P1 Answering Machine, you want to make a comment? You know, you can say funny stuff, leave a comment, ask a question. It's for anything. It's P1 Answering Machine. Yes, I'm on the phone. 858-715-1923.
And we're already getting some. Do we have any up yet? Where are they, Ash? Yeah, there's three up in white on the right front page. Got it. You have an open, too, for that. I do? Oh, nice. Oh, I can look that up. That's right. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Stand by. We are very fancy here. I know it. Skye is our news girl. She is 31 years of age. And I am so conflicted with her today because I love the headband. Did it on purpose. I love the black headband. So you wouldn't get angry. So I'm, like, totally in on Skye. And then I look down and she's wearing an Obama T-shirt. And so I'm like, well, I love the headband, but I don't appreciate the T-shirt. It's tricky. This isn't fair. It's tough. What's happening here? And so that's our girl. She's very left. Shawnee O'Boy is her Libby friend. Yes. Piss bump it. Next to the end. That's right. Shawnee O'Boy is 38 years of age. and lives in the Bay Area, and we see him on a camera every day. Ashley's our assistant producer. She's a blonde girl wearing a yellow shirt. Mustard yellow. Blonde girl in a yellow shirt. And she's right here in Clear Channel San Diego's building, and she's our assistant producer, and she does a lot of stuff, and she's pretty good. Boston Rob.
25. He's getting another thumbs up from Eddie. And he is not wearing any kind of t-shirt or shirt that says anything about Boston sports today, which is really different. That rarely happens. In fact, I haven't seen it happen for months. But he's here today and he's representing. I don't know. Laundry? Laundry time? Yeah, I got some laundry, but I found this was like the next shirt in my drawer. It's from a clothing brand called Structure. I think it's my brother's shirt. Is that right? Yeah. Mix those up every once in a while? All our clothes are just kind of... That's so crazy. Oh, Shani doesn't like that he's a germaphobe. Poor guy. Terrifying. That must be debilitating. That's right. Somewhat. There is the artist formerly known as Sir Roosevelt Zethian Oates III, Jr., Esquire, M.D., DDS, President,
and CEO. Ash seen on TV. There he is. There he is. That's right. That's Rosie. He's our phone screener. P1 paparazzi is on the line. Hall of Famer. Hall of Famer. Oh my gosh. P1 paparazzi. He's in the Hall of Fame. First ballot Hall of Famer. Sorry. What's up popsies? Popsies. Strange. What's going on? Political debate going on with a buddy of mine. I thought I'd get your take on it. Okay. What's up, Papadopoulos? Nah. Go ahead. We're talking about, let's say McCain wins the presidency here, and because he's older than dirt, he passes away, and Taylor takes over presidency. My thoughts were the U.S. is ready for a female president. However, I don't believe the world is ready for a U.S. female president. Well, the world's already seen a female leader. Yes. Correct. And the Philippines and such like that. Now, Margaret Thatcher led the United Kingdom. She was the prime minister of England. For a long time. For a long time. Big ally of Reagan. And so, yeah, the world has seen this. Correct. But how much of the rest of the world is getting involved in everything international as much as we do?
We stick our nose where it doesn't belong. I think the Brits were definitely, you know, a big part of the global picture and still are. And, you know, they've always been an ally of ours. And so, you know, here's a, globally, the deal that worries me is, I wonder what Obama's, nobody knows the inside of a person except that person and God. So I don't know what is inside of John McCain. I don't know what's inside of Barack Obama. I wonder what Barack Obama's thoughts on Israel are. I really want to know what his internal thoughts on Israel are. Is he a fan? Is he not a fan? Will he protect Israel? Will he go, hey, that's not my deal. You guys figure it out. Does he like Tabasco sauce? That's a big one, man. Like, you know, Tapatio. That's right. Dude, if he's Tapatio, there is no joke. I'm even more out. Oh, I'm in. I'm even more out. I'm in if he's Tapatio. Tapatio is not good. I don't like it. It's my favorite. Wow. Thank you, Papa Watson. So good. Yucky. Mom made tacos last night. I made tacos last night. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Mom made tacos last night. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh.
Eddie, how were they? They're all right. Pretty good. We had some friends over, and these friends let us know that in their freezer, they have a lot of deer meat. No one except for me was willing to try it. What? Nobody wanted it. Why? Nobody wanted to try it because they're scaredy cats. This is good, man. That's right here, man. Bambi. Yeah. Thank you. Bambi tastes good. I actually heard that at the table last night. Yeah. Bambi. A little mixed grill. What up? That's right. Why not? That's right. Hey, text us. 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. I'm not your enemy. I am your friend. Not today, pal. Forget it. Do we have the theme up there? Where is it? It's right next to... I am you. I didn't, actually. It's right next to what? The messages in white. Got it. Check this out.
It's time to check out what the P1s are saying. This is the P1 answering machine. Love it. Let's take a listen to what people have to say. I think you guys really suck really bad. You guys are going to get a new job, okay? You guys suck! That's our first one. Wow, I feel inspired. Great job today. I like it. Listen, the thing that I like about it is that they're talking, you know? They're giving us their feedback, and I like it. Just use that sucker. Just use that line. Let's see. Hey, Mikey, you guys are really cool. I love listening every morning. I had a point on the yes, no on eight vote that you guys were debating on the air. And, Mikey, you said that if Jesus were alive, that you absolutely believe that he would vote yes just because this is the law and it's the life. So you're talking about Prop 8? Yeah.
the love and everything that he believes in and he wants everybody to live by. I didn't say that, by the way. I didn't say that Jesus would vote yes, that I think that he would vote yes because he believes in the love and the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But didn't you say you thought he would vote yes? Oh, yeah. Okay. But you didn't go on with all that other stuff. No, no, no. I didn't say that it was about the love and the blah, blah, blah. I just said he would vote yes because he says that he thinks that homosexuality is a bad thing that we shouldn't do it. He didn't want us to do that. Alcoholism back in the day, you would not have been able to make your failures and you would not have been able to make your fall down to the bottom, be able to find God and then change your life. God put everybody on his plan. No, that's not true because lots of people find God without, uh, you know, alcoholism or any kind of pain or any kind, you know, a lot of people find God. They're just finding God. No, no, no. He said, hey, if they had outlawed alcohol back in the day, Mikey, you would not have been able to find God. And the truth is, is that there's a lot of people that find God and they do it without the use of like drugs, alcohol, or without hitting rock bottom. So that's not necessary.
Adam did not have the Ten Commandments. He didn't? No. I saw Charlton Heston play. No, he didn't play Adam. He played Moses, who did have the Ten Commandments. Dwight's cousin. No, that's Moe's. That's Moe's. That's Moe's. Get your commandments off me, you damn dirty ape. No, it's a long movie. That is the quote. That is the quote. I remember that. I think it's too different. Make our failures and fall. And then find out where God really has a point in people's lives. And then have the right to come back and actually live a life according to God's laws. But that means that they have also the right to fail. and have a reason to go back to God and repent. Everybody has the right to fail. I mean, everybody... I gotta, I gotta... Disagree with that? You do not have the right to fail? No? Yeah, what are you saying? Just like when they outlawed alcoholics. Yes. You shouldn't be able to fail. All the time, at least. Lies and making it to where people can and cannot do certain things that God may like.
God put us here on this planet to make those mistakes, specifically so we could appreciate heaven. By you making it, or by anybody taking your way to what we're voting on something like this, that means that there's an element of life. What's going on in this moon? They die not knowing because they were never allowed to. He's running on the gerbil wheel while he's making it. You guys are awesome. That's all. Thank you. Hey, listen, I appreciate it. Confused. I appreciate it. And yeah, he was running on a gerbil wheel, Rob, is what you're saying? It was an exercise. Wow. That's incredible how you do both. He's auditioning for Stomp. Do you think he made it? I hope so. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sounds lively. P1 Answering Machine, do you want to leave a message for us? It could be about anything. It could be a question. It could be a comment. It could be anything. 858-715-1923. We want to hear it all. The good, the bad, the ugly. Just give us a call and leave a message on that line. By the way, same P1 rules apply. Turn down your radio, don't cuss, all that business. Turn down your radio, don't cuss, and get to your point. And don't run on a giant wheel. Yeah. The cool thing about the P1 answering machine is that if you don't get through on the request line, or even if we're not even on the air and it's the middle of the daytime, or if it's at nighttime,
You can call P1 Answering Machine anytime. Like 2 o'clock today, you go, oh, I need to tell Skye she was wrong about who she voted for. Yes. Boom. Yes. Why would anyone say that? Please do that. Please. Hey, guys, what's up? Skye, you were very wrong in who you voted for. That's right. Okay, bye. 858-715-1923. Not so much. Peace. Hey, what's up, Sky? I can't believe how wrong you are. What's up? Opposite? Whatever. We will wait and see who is wrong. Big ups to my wrong girl, Sky. Let's see. We got some final campaigning going on here. This is John McCain. New Mexico. Oh, boy. Cut one. If I'm elected president, I'll fight to shake up Washington and take America in a new direction from my first day in office until my last. I'm not afraid of the fight. I'm ready for it. Barack Obama was in North Carolina. Cut three. In these last 24 hours, we can't afford to slow down or sit back or let up. Not one hour, not one minute, not one second, not now.
Not when we've got so much at stake. We've got an election to win, North Carolina. Well, he's a good speaker. I love it. I love it. I love him. I love those ears. Sky, what would you think of the message if he was like, let's go to the White House and let's do this? Same message, but that voice. Because that's what we're dealing with, okay? Well, that with a lisp. Yes. Yes. Good luck. Let's see. Here's some of the text messages we're getting. Mikey, birthday wish here. Eddie, say P1 Vinny is the bomb, please. I love you guys so much. P1 Vinny is the bomb. Hey, Mikey, I have to know, does Sean still greet you every morning with the bird? That's P1 to the last man. No, he doesn't. He greets us with a different thing every day. And today he sat up really, really straight and he got a very benevolent little like fairy type look on his face and he twinkled his chin. Mikey, is Skye going to be the one that tries to wear her Obama t-shirt to the polls where it's not allowed? P1 Eric. Nope, already voted. Absentee. What up? So it doesn't count.
No, it does count. No, it actually does count. Take it out and say, that one's no good. No, they will not. They'll say, let's count this one twice. It's so dang good. No. This text says, hey, guys, just got out of federal prison and missed your freaking show. I love you, Ashley. That's P1 Matt Damon. Wait. Well, he doesn't know. He's been in prison, so he doesn't know there's already a P1 Matt Damon. I mean, I don't think. Matt Damon. He can be. You can be P1 Federal Prison. Our phone number is 570-1053. If you want to call us, give us a call right now. 570-1053. You can call about anything you want to. And you can text us. 35253 is the text number. So we would love to hear from you on both. So give us a call. Mikey Show, hello. Is this Rock 1053? It is. This is Mikey. You're on the air. Uh-oh, hello, Mikey. My name is T1 Rude. Hi. Hey, how are you doing today? Good. I just got to say you guys kicked some serious butts. I've been listening to you for about five years off and on. Right on. Right on. Well, I just had a basically quick on the voting that's going on today for the presidential race and the economy. Yeah, have you voted yet? Are you going to vote right now? No, I'll be voting after work and Obama all the way. What time you get off? I get off at...
You get off at what? I get off at 4 o'clock. Oh, isn't it true? Polls close at 3. No, Mike. They're open until 8 p.m. 8 p.m. So I guess don't bother. I'll do it on my lunch break. Yeah, they're open until 8 p.m. Don't worry. There you go. Well, congratulations to you. You, Sky, and Sean can have a Libby lunch. Let me ask you a quick question when it comes to the economic status of this nation. Go ahead. Bush administration and McCain administration. You know, Bush and McCain both believe in high tax cuts for corporations and, you know, giving the money back to the wealthy, more or less. Definitely, they don't believe so much in the middle class. McCain, McCain, just let me correct a little bit. Sure. McCain believes in leaving the tax structure the way that it is and Yeah, the Bush tax structure. He believes in, well, it's a conservative tax structure. Yeah, the Bush administration's tax structure. It's Reagan's tax structure. It's Bush Sr.'s tax structure. It's the tax structure that does not penalize people for being successful. It's the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. How does it let the rich get richer?
It means that you don't get penalized. It doesn't go... You got the poor, you got the middle class, and you got the wealthy. You got your three structures. How do you think the wealthy get wealthy? Well, they get wealthy because of the poor spending habits of the poor and the spending habits of the middle class. They get wealthy. Let me tell you how they get wealthy. Let me tell you how they get wealthy. They get wealthy by one of two ways. Either they make their wealth by doing what I did. I got out of high school. I didn't even graduate from high school. I got out of high school. I got a job in radio. And I worked for a long, long, long time honing this thing that I do. And I worked for a long time to get there. And now I'm making a pretty decent living. And there are some guys that they go to college. And everybody has an opportunity in this country. In fact. If you study hard and you get good grades, you can get grants in this country and you can get scholarships to schools. And if you get out, you can get a good job. And the whole idea that I think that we're going for here is that we're shooting for the big American dream. We're all trying to make a great living. And if you make that great living, you shouldn't be penalized for it with these taxes.
Now, if it were up to me, it would just be a fair tax where everybody pays the same thing across the board. But I don't think that you should be penalized for it. And I think that the whole thought of Republicans being for the rich and the wealthy and Democrats aren't. They're not for the wealthy. That's a bunch of non-truthism stuff. Thank you. All right, well... You know, you'd be Obama. My brother's Obama, too, and Skye and Sean. The good people are. Oh, stop it. Stop that. Please with that. You said about the, you know, live the American dream. I fully support that. I'm 22 years old. I have not graduated college, but I am a business owner myself. I sell some novelty lamps, so I completely understand that. Hope you don't start getting successful at that. Do you sell those leg lamps?
Well, no, I don't sell Legoland. Just so you know, man, just so you know, if your guy wins, if your guy wins, Obama. There'll be a tax increase on people who make over an X amount of money per year. Yeah, and I know in your mind you're like, oh, that money is so high. If you made that money. You better get health care for your employees as well or you're going to get fined. Right, but the way that I'm looking at it is this way. Your business is feed off of the middle class and the poor. They sell a product. They sell a service. What about Joe the Plumber? Please don't mention that. Wait a minute. You just made it sound like they're somehow victimizing the poor. What they're doing is they're making this terrible business. They make this terrible business, and that business feeds off the poor. And the poor are like, I have to buy it. I have to buy it. He said they feed off the poor. Did you use the word feed? I might have accidentally. Okay, my bad. What I'm simply saying, though, is we get our source of income from the public. You're poor and your middle class over the past eight years. You get it from everybody, bro. Well, the poor and the middle class are the majority here in America. What I'm trying to say is that, look, if you're chopping down trees to a forest and you don't replant the forest, well, you're going to run out of forest. So you've got to take a little bit of money, put it back to the well that you're sucking from.
That's socialism. That's socialism. And everywhere that socialism has existed, it's crumbled, bro. Everywhere socialism has ever existed, it doesn't work. The thing that works, the reason that this country is great is because the system of government that we have, capitalism, it allows people to be incentivized. It makes you want to do well. That's the whole reason it works. Socialism, it don't work. Marxism doesn't work. It's bad. I like you, sir. Sexism is all right. No. No, sexism is all right. That one doesn't work either. It's all right. No, it's not. It's all right. No, it's not. It's in the circumstances. No, sir, I've seen the posters. It's not okay, especially in the workplace. You never know. There's posters in the kitchen, Eddie. You'd be a better start reading them, pal. If I have to see her victimizing Eddie one more time, it's going to break my heart. 570-1053 is our phone number. We sent Boston Rob out with a microphone just for today. Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you. I'll say it is. By now you should have somehow realized what you gotta do. Yeah, no kidding. I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now. That is true. No.
570-1053 is our number. Our text number is 35253. And you can read our blogs right now by going to MikeyShow.com. Don't read Eddie's blog. Yes, read my blog. Everyone avoid Eddie's blog. And the way that it happened was they came to the show and said that they wanted to be a sponsor on the Mikey Show. And I said, yeah, sure. Let me just call as a normal customer and ask for a quote. And I did. And they saved me $1,600 over the phone not knowing who I was. That was pretty cool. And from that day on, I was like, yep, I will be an endorser for AIS. And ever since I've been telling you about it, and I've been telling you about all the people that are P1s that have saved money, and there's a lot of them. Rob, Boston Rob from the show, saving $1,400 a year. Because Rob just told me that it wasn't $700 a year. I'm true, Mike. We've discussed this many a time. Which I thought was fantastic. I think, oh, don't go in the bathroom when she's coming out. I don't know what it is. You know, the whole thing that I have? Eddie. But I am very uncomfortable being a prize mate. Sky. Yeah, I do not like to answer the phone and I do not like to talk on the phone. Sean. I honestly, legitimately believe that William Shatner is a really good actor. Boston Rock. I don't lose all the time and I don't lose at every time. And Ashley. Combined with my ADD and the fact that I'm just like a social butterfly, I'm all over the place.
The Mikey Show's on. Dude, you took a second. You thought about it. Sheboygan. Uh-huh. Rock 105.3. Political songs today. Handlebar thing is Prop 49. Welcome back. It is 643. Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour hits Petco Park tonight. Allen Iverson is changing teams again. Denver sent AI to Detroit for Chauncey Billups and Antonio McDyess. What are those guys like, Eddie? I don't know anything about... I don't know anything about Allen Iverson. I don't know anything about Chauncey Billups. And I don't know anything about Antonio McDice. What are these guys all about? Allen Iverson is one of the greatest scorers in league history. I mean, that's all the guy does. You know, he's got one of the best averages ever, which is kind of surprising. But, you know, that's what he does. And, you know, he didn't really fit in Denver because they kind of have a guy.
There in Carmelo Anthony, he kind of does the same thing. He wears a headband, right? Correct. That's why I know him. Yeah. And so, you know, it was a good move by Detroit. You know, they've got a big-time scorer now. Big time. Big time. And Chauncey Billups, he's just a solid point guard, and, you know, he'll get the ball to mellow. Chauncey Billups is a point guard. Yes. There you go. What about that Antonio McDyess guy? Well, from what I understand, the Nuggets, now that they got McDyess, are going to buy out his contract and let him be a free agent. So he might not even be on the team. Really? Yeah. What a trip. And in other sports news, the Lions signed Dante Culpepper? Yeah. All right. He's got to pass his physical, but once he does that, he will be on the Lions. And they need some serious quarterback help because... The guy that's been starting right now, Dan Orlowski, is going to be out with a thumb injury. And so Culpepper may come in and start right away. The candidates are going to vote themselves today, obviously, McCain and Obama, and await the results of Election Day in their hometowns. So what are the hometowns, Skye? Obama will be in Chicago, and McCain will be in Arizona.
Prescott, Arizona. Nice. Yeah. And watching on TV. These are pretty good. I think you're going to enjoy these. Now it's time for the YouTube clip of the day. First, John McCain putting his foot in his mouth at a campaign rally. Cut 36. I think you may have noticed that Senator Obama's supporters have been saying some pretty nasty things about western Pennsylvania lately. I couldn't agree with him more. I couldn't disagree with you. I couldn't agree with you more than the fact that Western Pennsylvania is the most patriotic, most God-loving. Who do you agree with? I don't see what he said wrong. Pennsylvania is a horrible place. No. Oh, no. That did not go wrong.
And then, of course, Mr. Ideas Man himself. The guy who always has the right thing to say and says it so eloquently. If it's on a teleprompter. Cut 37. Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma. They end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs when if you they just gave you gave. Treatment early. Teleprompter went out. And they got some treatment. Oh, no. And a... Oh, gosh. A breathalyzer. Wait, is he drunk? Not a breathalyzer. Little babies. I haven't had much sleep in the last 48 hours. Well, that and the teleprompter is not on anymore. What they'll say is, well, it costs too much money. But you know what? It would cost about the same as what we would spend.
Over the course of 10 years, it would cost what it would cost us. What? Okay, well. We're going to. It would cost us about the same as it would cost. It's in your head. For about. Hold on one second. I can't hear myself. Uh-oh. But I'm glad you're fired up, though. I'm glad. Great ideas. What? Breath of Lies, the youth. That's right. Ladies and gentlemen, there are your two candidates for president of the United States of America. We're back. That's right. We're back. Ron Paul. Writing in Joe the Plumber. Joe the Plumber. That's right. Ladies and gentlemen, a lot of you have been waiting to hear this. And so I have held off until this moment, even though I've been getting cards, even postcards here at the radio station, emails.
Letters and snail mail. Text messages. Message in a bottle? Message in a bottle. Pigeon? Perhaps. Smoke signal? Everything. Every possible way of communication people have communicated with me and been asking for it. And I have purposefully held off until election day. Paris Hilton now talks about why she's excited to vote. On the Letterman Show, cut 21. Are you excited about the voting tomorrow? I'm very excited. This is the biggest election in history. Yes, it could be historic. That's exactly right. And have you voted in previous elections? Yes. Voting tomorrow. And then you race home and you and Benji will watch the results on TV? He's actually in Africa on a UNICEF trip. Oh. So he'll be back on Wednesday. Yeah, he'll be back on Wednesday. So he's riding a bike with one we own. So he'll be alone tomorrow. She's an idiot. Cut 32. Well, it's exciting, you know, to be involved in the biggest election in history and to be involved in history like this. And with doing these political videos, I think it encourages a lot of young voters to speak their voice and to vote. And also, I was talking about issues and actually making sense, but still playing with my image at the same time and kind of doing it in a ditzy way.
Actually saying things I think could really help the world. I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don't have that. And I believe that our education is such as South Africa and Iraq, everywhere like such as. I think that they should, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or should help South Africa. It should help Iraq and the Asian countries. Time's up. So we will be able to build up our future. Thank you, miss. Thank you very much. And ladies and gentlemen, the vice president of the United States of America. No. Eddie filled out his sample ballot. He is ready to go. What's up? Let's do this. Ready to rumble. I'm going to do this. Why do you got to do those sample ballots? I don't get it. Practice. That way when you go in there, you know what's up. You know what to expect. You can go in there and check, check, check, check. So instead you go, which one was this? What was it about? What way my voting? So you don't hold up the line. Rob was really, he just got like, you swayed him. Yeah. When he first asked the question, you could tell Rob was like, this is stupid. No, no, no. And then he was like, no. Stupid. Oh, come on. It helps you. It helps.
So you can make an educated decision and so you don't hold up the line. You're not going to remember what you're voting for? Dude, there's so many propositions. There's a lot, bro. There's state propositions. There's local propositions depending on where you live. Yeah, but I know how I feel about each thing, you know, and if I'm changing my mind going in there. So what are you voting on Prop 7? Which one is that? See what I mean? Exactly. I thought you knew. I thought you had it all figured out. Thank goodness for the sample ballot. I'm voting no on it. Oh, gosh. I dare you. You see, on the ones that I know that I'm going to vote on, on the ones that I don't know, then it's kind of a toss-up and it's whatever I'm in the mood for. Okay. Well, Boston Rob's take on... I guess sample ballots, you know? It's stupid. If you don't know it, if you haven't read up on it... It's just a time saver, bro. Well, you should read up on it. When you're in there, you shouldn't be rushing. All right? Time saver, time saver. Take your time, dude. If you're in the voting booth and you're not in that 45 minutes, you ain't doing it right. You need 45 minutes and you need 45 minutes. We cannot be rushed in our voting process. That's why you get this stuff in advance, so you can take your time, read over it. But what if other people don't get to vote? He's going to take the thing that explains it all. He's going to go into the booth and he's going to say, let's see, Rob Pill.
Page four. Wait, no, it says it's on page seven. Page five. Page six. Here it is. Let me read. This particular proposition. Oh, wait, I messed up. Let me start again. Can you imagine how long it's going to take? Take as much time as you need, folks. Don't let anyone rush you. All political songs today. 570-1053. Text... 35253. Want to read our blogs? Go to MikeyShow.com. Type in the keyword blogs. George Chamberlain's coming up. Oh, yeah. Georgie, right? Georgie. Yeah, Georgie's coming up. He's going to tell us all about money. Sitting in my car yesterday at a stoplight, and I look to my left, and I see from, like, about 50 feet away this big blob of black. And I'm like, what is that? It's moving. It's moving. It's bees.
And they move like, you know, like I have my windows rolled up. Don't tell me about that. They're all over my, outside of my car. Shut up. And they just keep moving. And I'm like, if I hadn't seen that and I had my windows down, they would have just come right into the car. That's my hugest fear ever. Like everywhere I go, whenever I'm outside, I'm always scared that there's going to be a huge swarm of bees that just come through. I've never seen that before. Have you guys ever seen that? Yeah. One just missed me. A swarm? Yeah, a swarm. Someone warned me that there's a swarm and I was on my bike and I got out of the way. Swarm! I lived it, all right, lady? Oh, dude, I'm so glad you're over. What member of the Padre team is leaving after seven years? Wait, what? Tell you after this. Join the P1 Text Army. Text Mikey to 35253. Standard rate supply. We have Dr. Alan Henderson, a professor of public health and former state president of the American Cancer Society. Welcome, Dr. Henderson. Thank you, Mary. How will Proposition 10 make Californians healthier? Well, studies by leading universities link exhaust fumes to dramatic increases in the rates of asthma and cancer. The good news is Proposition 10 will eliminate 4.1 million tons of these pollutants from our air every year. How will it do that?
Prop 10 will get old, polluting cars and trucks off our roads by investing in vehicles that run on clean, alternative fuels. It also invests in clean solar and wind power. Sounds impressive, but how do we know it will work? Because Proposition 10 requires strict performance audits, and it won't raise taxes. Is there anything else, Doctor, you'd like to tell our listeners? Please vote yes on Proposition 10. Paid for by Californians for Energy Independence. Yes on Proposition 10, a coalition of renewable energy and alternative fuel companies. Major funding by Clean Energy and Chesapeake Energy. Barack Obama says vote no on eight. It's divisive and discriminatory. Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger says it should never happen. Senator Dianne Feinstein says no. We must always say no to discrimination. Eight would be a terrible mistake for California. That's why California teachers say no on eight. Prop 8 will not affect teaching in our schools. And to marriage, our teachers say that's a lie crafted to scare people. Every major newspaper says no on 8. It's intolerant, offensive, and the law should not discriminate. On Tuesday, we have a chance to do what Californians always do. Stand up against intolerance and discrimination and make our votes count. Senator Feinstein. No matter how you feel about marriage, vote against discrimination and vote no on 8.
Paid for by No on 8. Equality for all. Major funding from No on 8, Equality California, and Human Rights Campaign. HRC California Marriage Pack. No on Prop 8. The best stuff is always in the back. I have Star Wars cereal boxes on my refrigerator. Very easy. Sky. I love the troops. I love America. I just don't agree with what we're doing over there. Sean. I realized over the weekend that I absolutely love the store Bed Bath. Oh, dude. Boston Rob. This is the time of year where I become OCD and have a lot of complexes because of my baseball team that plays. And Ashley. I hate to be told what to do. The Mikey Show's on. Oh, I hate you guys. Rock 105.3. Zeth is making a political statement today with a song she's loading. I agree, Zeth. Thank you. It is 7 o'clock.
For the first time in 24 years, San Diego has gone blue. There are now more registered Democrats than Republicans in the county. It's Brady time. Brady Quinn will get his first NFL start for the Browns this Thursday against the Broncos. Sky, did you replace your husband's phone yet? Yeah, we had to go yesterday, and I had to explain to the guy that, yes, I washed my husband's phone with the clothes. Can you please give us a new one? They help you out? Yeah, they were very, very cool and helped me out and got a new phone for the boo without having to pay too much money. That's pretty awesome. I didn't have the insurance. George Chamberlain's coming up on the show here in just a second. And before we went to break, I said, what member of the Padre team is going to be leaving after seven years? And we got you. What? Eddie, who is it? Matt Vazgergen. Oh, my. Goodness. Matt A.V. That's right. Santa Maria. Terrible news. He's leaving his TV job of calling the Padre games. Matt Vaskurgen, we are really lucky to have that guy here in San Diego because he is ultra talented, does a lot of national stuff for NBC, but it is a swan song for Matt. He is gone. He has not announced what his job is yet. He said that's going to come in the next couple days, but...
He is going to be leaving Channel 4 Padres and no longer be on that broadcast. And he is really good, man. He's awesome. He called the Raider game this weekend, which I would have had no interest in were it not for fantasy football because they were playing the Falcons and Addy White. So I was interested in the game. I don't know who his partner was that day, but his partner did an imitation like just very randomly. of Mike Singletary, he goes, can't do it. And Viscursion starts laughing and he's like, you got to do the rest of it. And he psyched him out and so he wouldn't do the rest of it because he got him all psyched out. He's like, come on. He's like, do the other stuff that you do too. And he's like, I want winners. He did that and that was all he did. I want winners. He did can't do it and I want winners from Mike Singletary. And I have a feeling that
Mike Singletary's can't do it is going to turn into they are who we thought they were. Can't do it. I mean, you almost want Mike Singletary to become the permanent head coach of the 49ers because you know there's more sound bites to come. Absolutely. For the bits. You know what I mean? Yeah. Of course. Who we thought they were. Thank you. There's Denny Green. Calm down. Let's see. Sky said it. That. For the first time in 24 years, San Diego is now blue, and the majority of voters are Dems. What a trip. Yeah, they say, let's see, what's the difference? Three, four, five, six, seven. So about 4,000 voters is about the difference. Less than 4,000 voters is the difference now between Democrats and Republicans. First time in 24 years, you know, they... I think a lot of new voters, a lot of youthful voters who are coming out to the polls in support of Obama is the reason that San Diego County has now gone blue. There were people out in the street corners last night. Last night we'll probably be seeing that, thank goodness. Let's see, here's some of the text messages we're getting at 35253. And don't forget, P1 answering machine open to you, 858-715-1923.
858-715-1923 is the number for P1 Answering Machine. Leave a message, leave a comment, leave a question, whatever you want to do. But the text that we have here is the old redskin rule. Because the Steelers won, so will Obama. P1 the Wolf. Now, this is a real thing. And it's kind of like a real thing in the same way that you like the Madden deal. Like you sit there and you look at it and you go, you can't argue with it. Yeah, 17 of the last... 18 presidential elections have fallen in line with this game thing. I don't know. They say if the Redskins win, then that means the incumbent party will stay in power, which would give McCain the win. Well, the Redskins lost last night, so according to that, Obama's. Except for last year, or last election, 2004. Oh, was that the one out of the 18 elections? Really? It didn't work that way? So it won't work this year. And that was the one where Florida... Right. Yeah. Oh, no. Just kidding. So the skins must have lost last time, right? Because that would have been incumbent. Interesting. Thank you, Jake. That's my son, Jake. Jake, I want to see. Call my wife. See if you can get my wife on. You got to hear Jake and us asking him.
about the politics because he knows more now. Yeah. It's really funny. It's pretty funny. We got to get him on. Mikey, I did not want to wait till 2 to call the message machine to let Skye know she is wrong for voting for Obama. Well, you're wrong for voting for McCain. Oh, we accomplished a lot there, buddy. Wow. Hey, Mikey, got to my polling place early. Turns out the polls don't open till 7 a.m. Thanks for making the weight bearable of the show. That's P1 Pathfinder. Awesome. Let's see. Mikey, can we talk about how Zeth is getting to work now? His blog stated that his car is impounded. Lemon. What? Total lemon. It's a P1 Kung Fu. It is? Yeah. Zeth, what is the deal? My car got impounded early Sunday morning. No. Yeah. I wasn't driving it, luckily, so I didn't get arrested. But a car got taken. I had to go yesterday, do the whole run around. And I got it out yesterday, but it cost quite a bit of money.
Why did it get impounded? The temporary registration tag had been expired for two days. Well, that's not going to work. Yeah. That's not good. Mikey, Rob is right. Vote no on 7. Yes, I told you, Skye. You've got to go no on 7. You don't even know what 7 is, though. That was the point I was trying to make. You can vote however you like, but at least know what you're voting for. That's right, and you're welcome to call and say vote yes on 7 if that's what you want to do. I also say yes on 7, though. Well, see, that's because you don't know what it is. No, but it just depends on your stance. You're giving me a headache. that texted, it says, it takes business away from small companies that are trying to make renewable energy. Smiley face, P1 me raid. Mikey, tell Rob not to vote for anything he doesn't understand. Please. That's P1 worries. Well, that would mean that he doesn't vote. That would just mean that he doesn't vote. Do whatever you want, man. Who cares? Hey, honey. Are you right there with Jake? No. Oh, he hasn't woke up yet?
Well, yeah, he's in his crib, but I haven't gotten him out yet. Do you think that you could take the phone in there and say to him, you know, don't put the phone right up to him because if he sees the phone, then he'll know that he's like on, you know, the stage and he'll get stage fright. But do you think that you could go in there and that you could say to him or at least call us back when you're ready to go in there and say to him, you know, who's running for president? Oh, sure, but you know what? I should call you guys back, because if I go in there right now, he's going to be like... Right, right, right, right. Okay, call us back, because I also want to ask him who the running mates are. Okay. Cool? I'll call you back. Hi, hon. Goodbye. That's pretty funny stuff. What else is going on out there? There's a new study of kids with deployed parents. And it says that those kids are more aggressive than other military kids, which to me seems like another, duh. You know, no mom around or no dad around. When you're missing one of them, then the kids are going to be kind of acting out, I think. Yeah, they said the study found that kids between the ages of three and five who have a deployed parent scored five points higher on average for behavioral problems.
than other military children whose parents were not deployed. So again, duh. Madonna's at Petco tonight? Yep, sticky and sweet. I wonder what she's going to have to say because she's going to be taking the stage about the time that the election results are going to be coming out. So it should be very interesting. Is she collecting Social Security yet? Is she eligible for those? Has she become eligible for those? Not quite yet. She's on a fixed income now. That's right. I understand. She likes very bland food and usually mushy stuff. 570-1053 is our number if you want to call us. You want to text us? 35253. When we come back. There's a new study out. And this is going to interest. Sean. Sean is a germaphobe. Don't do anything with germs. There's a new study out. Whose hands are germier? Men's or women's? Whose hands are germier? That's a no-brainer. Men's or women's? And that is when we come back. Mikey? Hello? Never called in before, but I love your show, and you guys rock. Oh, that's awesome. 9053 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. So looking at a bit of a wet commute out here this morning. We do have some white rain and drizzle coming down in areas of the county, making the roadways slick enough to cause some problems. So just be careful out there. We've got one injury crash here where a car went over the side. I'm laying on its side, actually, as well, on the La Costa Avenue on-ramp to northbound 5. So use some caution there. It'll cause some delays getting onto the freeway. A matter of bad injury crash being reported now on the Escondido Avenue on-ramp to eastbound 78. So be careful there as well. South 15, you've got the usual slowdown developing out of Escondido. Slow off to 78 in Pockets down at Villarancho Parkway. East County is not too bad here. Maybe a minor delay in the westbound area around Lake Murray. West 94, a bit of a slowdown into downtown. And you've got slow traffic a little bit as well developing out of the South Bay. Both the 5, 805 northbound up through National City. High wind advisory don't affect through the East County mountain areas and deserts along I-8 between Ocotillo and the Imperial County. So use extra caution if you're driving a high-profile vehicle out there. I'm McLaurin on Rock 105.3. It's another Mikey moment. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Barack Obama. Cut 14. I want to invite Senator Obama because he needs to do something. He needs to do something about those skinny legs. Make him do some squats. Yeah. That was a good one. Yeah. Do me a favor, will you? Hit the gym a little bit more. Put some more weight on that. Mix it a chili dog every once in a while. So skinny.
American Gladier, the name is toothpick. Back to the Mikey Show on The Rock. Rock 105.3. Yeah, welcome back to the show. It's The Mikey Show. And if you have a question for our money guy, George Chamberlain, call us right now at 570-1053. We would love to hear from you. And let me tell you. George Chamberlain, he breaks it down into regular guy talk, so you can understand it. 570-1053, call us right now and ask George a question. He's in the studio, and it is 7-15. A jury decided yesterday that Keanu Reeves was not responsible for injuries to a photographer who claimed he was hit by Keanu's car while taking pictures. Tennessee Volunteer Head Coach Phil Fulmer is not going to return to the team next season. Before we went to break, we're going to get to George Chamberlain here in just a second, give you a chance to fill up those phone lines for questions for George 570-1053. Before we went to break, I said that there was a study. And Sean, our sound effects guy, as you know, is a germaphobe. And there's a study out about whose hands are more germy, men's or women's. And before we went to break, Sean said, no brainer, no brainer.
And, Sean, that would be men's, right? Well, I mean, I wouldn't have said that. Is it men? Sky? No, it's not men. Sean, you would have been correct. It would have been women. Thank you. He is the Michael Jordan of germaphobes. Yeah, this study is pretty creepy to know. They say, on average, each hand... men or women, has 150 different species of bacteria growing on them. They said there were about 4,700 different kinds of bacteria they found during this test. Only five of those bacterias were common among all volunteers. So there's tons of different kinds of bacteria out there. Out of all the people, there were almost 5,000 different types of bacteria found, and only five of them were common for everybody.
I would say women have more different types of bacteria. That actually is 100% correct. The study also found that women have more what they call germ diversity than men, meaning that they all have around the same amount of bacteria, but women have a lot different types. of bacteria. High five, Sean. Yeah, Sean, that means that we're good to hug. I don't think so. Don't freak out, but they say in general, hand washing did not seem to affect the diversity of bacteria on the hands. That's awesome. There you go, boy. See, so you're good, man. You're good. Yeah, come on. Okay, wait, hold on. Guy hug. No matter what you do, there will always be a virus on you. Shut up, shut up. What about hand sanitizer? Did they mention anything about that? They don't. They just talk about hand washing. I haven't read anything about sanitizer. Sean's big on sanitizer. Sean, just get over it then. No. I don't think so. 570-1053. I don't even want to touch my hands.
Give us a call. Your own hands. You don't want to touch your hands. I know. He's not kidding. George Chamberlain is in the studio with us. Hello, George. Hey, guys. George is the money guy that you see on NBC 739 every morning. Top of the hour, right, George? Yeah, top and bottom. And when can we see you? From what time to what time? Between 5 and 7 weekdays, and then I do some stuff on the weekends, too. That's cool. Yeah. Now, George, what would a typical morning like, for instance, this morning, what is it that they are asking you and what is it that you're telling them? Do they go to you and just say, George, what are you going to tell us today? Or do they have a specific question? No, no, it's pretty much. I just kind of, what I do during the week is just kind of a recap of what's the news of the day, how are the markets doing and stuff like that. So it's kind of just a current news kind of thing. So what is the news of the day? There's an election going on. I don't know if you heard about that or not. Yeah. That's right. It's kind of a big deal, I guess. I don't know. So what's weird about it is that we've got a big rally going today. And you would think that with, you know, the election, well, you would think that that might not be the case. I mean, there's still enough uncertainty about the election out there.
Were you self-editing right there, George? Yeah, I really was. Big time. I thought you were. I don't have to on this show. I know. I respect that. I respect that. This is what I think may have been going on in George's mind. Let's see. This may have been going on in George's mind. He was going to say he was going to talk about the political party that he believes may be elected and how he would think the markets would go... Yeah, that's about it. That's about it. And then he said, you know, but I don't need to editorialize in such a way. Let me just say this about that. OK, it really doesn't make a bit of difference who's going to live at 1600 Pennsylvania. The new president is inconsequential. What will determine how hard our pocketbooks get hit is the outcome of the congressional vote tonight. And if we get veto proof. majorities for the Democrats. And it applies as if we remember it wasn't that many years ago, 10 years ago. So the Republicans had veto proof majorities and it didn't work out real well. Same thing would happen this time around if the Democrats can have complete control of the House and Senate and the White House. So that's what it is. That's where we are. Sky has a question. Are there specific stocks that we should be interested in depending on who wins? Yeah.
For instance, assuming that the scenario I just painted out becomes a reality, one of the things we're looking at right now is you probably would want to own a lot of the alternative energy stocks, you know, the wind power, solar power kinds of things like that. that would probably be a smart place to be. They've been very volatile. They've been real hot for a while, then they cooled off, and now they're kind of getting some momentum. Like Mike, you can buy stocks and rainbows and unicorns. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, because I know that that's another thing he promises. And then on the slight hell freezes over Republican chants, what should we buy? Can we buy stock in happiness? Joy. Yeah, joy. Happiness. You know, it depends on what your definition of happiness is. I think I may have mentioned this. before there's this one mutual fund out there called the vice fund and it invests in all bad things you know like tobacco alcohol gambling you know and it is and and this this fund has just
knock the socks off of every other investment out there. It really has. Yeah, it's just how weird it is. Wouldn't you feel weird buying? I know. Weird. Yeah. They don't buy, they don't invest in anything that's illegal. So, you know, it's one of those things. So with McCain, would we want to like buy stock in oil companies or what are we thinking if McCain wins? I don't know. You know, McCain has hardly been a friend of the oil industry. So I don't know that that would necessarily apply. You probably would. You know, you might want to see a little bit probably defense-related stocks. Oh, okay. Viagra. That's right. That's right. Yeah, that's a good one, yeah. Let's take some of these calls. P1 Paul, are you there? Yes, I'm here. You're on the air, man. What do you want to ask our money guy, George Chamberlain? How's it going, guys? Love the show. I just have a question. I was thinking about starting to trade some stocks, and I want to know... where he advises to go trade them out, like TV Ameritrade, E-Trade, Options Express, any one of those, Charles Schwab. Yeah, my preference is Viejas because usually you can get a free drink out of them, you know, because trading stocks is exactly the same as going out to a casino and putting your money on the red. I mean, it's the same thing.
That's funny. You know, about 11, you know, there was a study done on this. And, you know, I'm not going to discourage the guy from doing it. But about 10% of traders make money. So, you know, you got a better chance, you know, playing blackjack. Wow. There you go. But wait a second. Wait a second, George. I thought that you said that now's the time. It's buy or sell prices out there. No, no, to buy for the long term, yeah. This guy wants to buy stocks and sell them the same day, you know, because he wants to be in and out of stocks, make some quick money in here. Oh, no, buying them for the long haul, this is as good as it gets, yeah? Are there people that can get into the stock market and, like, let's say they get into the stock market today, they buy some stuff, It goes up that day. They sell it. They make money. And is there a way for them to see that cash that day? No. Not in theory. There's what is called settlement on a trade. When you buy a stock, you have three days to pay for it. Right. But when you sell a stock, you have to wait three days to get the money. Right. Okay.
So, you know, unless you have some kind of an agreement worked out with the trading house to do it, which very few people do, there is that little bit of a lag. Right. So you have to wait a few days. Not like a guy can go buy himself dinner the same day he makes a couple of bucks off of a Starbucks trade or stock. P1 Ryan, are you there? Ryan, what's your question for George Chamberlain? My question is, right now, me and my fiance, we're putting in the maximum amount in both our IRAs and our 401ks. Great. But we're getting... largely negative returns. Sure. Her 401k is like a 40%, my IRA is like 30%. Should I decrease the amount that I'm putting in and put it in like an online savings account where I can actually get a positive interest? Hell no. How old are you? 27. I got ties older than that. You know, you really, you got to be doubling up now, man. You really got to be doubling up. You are going to look back in your lifetime. You know, you've got a 50-50 chance. Maybe not 50-50, but you've got a pretty good chance. When you and your fiancé have kids, your kids will see the Dow Jones Industrial Average at $1 million, okay? We're at $9,000 right now, okay? Your kids are going to see it at $1 million, all right? So, yeah, you've got to get in this thing, and don't back off, please. Even if the IRA is like, because I'm going through the same thing this guy is, and I kid you not, George, this week going to stop putting money into my IRA temporarily until...
When do you know the time is? I always like that. People are going to stop putting money in until... Well, so my mom told me. Hi, Cher. You're never going to pick up the Wall Street Journal and see on the cover of the paper, rally starts tomorrow. You know, you never know when this thing's going to turn. And I don't want to say we have, but there's been inklings and indications that this thing has found some support in here. So I don't know. You've got to stay with it, guys. You've got to stay with it. I just want everybody listening and for George to know that the woman that suggested that Ashley stop putting the money into the IRA is also the woman that said this. I hope you have a good week. It's raining up here. So give me a call. I want to know how you're doing. I'll talk to you later. In fairness. That's all I was saying. In fairness. No, but I see what George is saying. He's saying... You're putting it in there and it's fluctuating how much it's worth, but we're going to recover and it's better to have more in there than less because we're going to recover. Okay. So my money isn't like disappearing, George, just because it's underneath. It's not going to go to zero. I can guarantee it's not going to go to zero. Okay. And so you're going to, but what you're going to be able to do is buy some stuff right now, you know, and it's going to appreciate this market goes up more than it goes down and you can't let these little things. Believe me.
What Wall Street wants you to do is panic and get out now. That's what the big guys on Wall Street want you to do is panic and get out because they're buying like fools right now. And so they're going to make a lot of money on this thing long term. They know what's going on. I just got into it for the first time last week. Yeah. And it was an amazing thing because it went up right away and it's stayed up a little bit. But my thought on it is it doesn't matter to me because I'm not going to see any of this until I'm retiring. Exactly. George, I said to my wife the other day, we put a little bit aside and we put it into this deal and we're going to just sit on it and wait until I'm retiring. And I thought to myself, like you just said, right now the Dow Jones is at 9,000 and you said that there's going to be a time where it's going to be at, you think, 1 million? Well, that's what Warren Buffett said. And Buffett said... Somebody asked him where he thinks the Dow Jones Industrial Average is going, and he never makes predictions. And he says, it's going to go to a million. The guy said, when? He said, well, sometime before the end of this century. Well, that gives him 92 years, to be right or wrong. None of us will be around to know. But then the punchline comes, and he says, for us to get to a million by the end of the century, the Dow has to go up by an annual rate of 7%. The Dow goes up by an annual rate of 10% to 11%.
which means we'll hit 1 million about 2070. What gives me chills almost is to know that my grandkids are going to see the Dow Jones Industrial Average at a million. Wow. That's just, like, awesome. That means put those stocks away for your kids. Oh, man, and how? When they sell them, it would be worth... See, I would like to be able to enjoy some of this while I'm retiring. Why not? Sure. Well, you can enjoy it because you invest in good stocks that pay dividends. You're going to be getting the cash flow all the time along. And that's the way I invest. That's my strategy. I love dividends. So that's what you got to do. You got to do stuff that rewards you right now, gives you that instant gratification in the form of money, cash, and then the long-term growth is there too. This is a very vague question that I think will be interesting just to hear your answer one way or the other. It's P1 Tim. Go ahead, Tim. Yeah, I have some money to invest, about $6,000. And I was looking to invest either maybe in Pepsi or Home Depot because I was taking your advice and looking at the direct buy programs. Good. And I'm just wondering which one do you think would be a better one because Home Depot has a lower, I can buy more stocks now. Yeah. But Pepsi is a long-term, stronger company. So just wondering which one do you think would be better? Do them both. Do them both? Why do one?
3,001, 3,000 and the other. Yeah, sure. All right, all right. Or maybe even do this. Let's just be a little cautious in here. Put $1,500 into each one of them now, and then wait a month or two, see what happens, see how things settle out after the election, and throw the money in right around the end of the year. Good idea. All right. And I was also going to set up an automatic. debit from my account. This guy is good. This guy's been paying attention. This is awesome, man. What is that? What's an automatic debit? Automatic debit is that, okay, you go ahead and say, okay, let's just take one of them. Home Depot is an example. You go ahead and you put some money into Home Depot now, and then you authorize them on the 15th or first of the month, whenever you want, to go ahead and take another $50 or $100 out of your bank account. And they do it automatically and buy more shares on the 1st or the 15th or whenever you want them to. Money, money, money. It takes all the pain out of it. It takes all the emotion out of all of the decision-making process. It's just done boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. Can you do that if you have a Fidelity account or an E-Trade account? Can you do it with that as well? Talk with them about it. Some of them do let you do it. Some of them don't. But if you use the direct plans like this guy talked about. And remember, folks, if you want to see all the stocks that allow you to buy the stock directly from a company without going through the broker,
go to a website called dripinvestor.com, D-R-I-P-Investor.com. And when you get to the homepage down to the bottom side, it says read more, click on that, and then you'll see a spot where it says no load stocks. They call them no load stocks. And it's a great way to go. It's the most economical way to invest. You get to Drip Investor and you go where? Bottom of the homepage, it'll say read more. You see that down there you're looking at? Yep, I'm looking at it. Down to the right-hand corner. Yep. Okay, click on that. Okay, now about the right-hand side, halfway down, you'll see something, a list of no-load stocks. Yeah, a list of no-load stocks. There you go. Wow. I did that without any net. I did that completely without a net. You're good. It's like you've been there before. Yeah, I've been there before. Thank you very much. Tip the waitress. These are stocks that you can invest in directly. Go right to the company. You don't have to get a broker involved. That's very cool. That's great. Let's see. Let's take another call. About 400 of them. Let's take another call from P1. Tommy? Yeah, what's happening? Go ahead, Tommy. What's your question for George Chamberlain? Got a quick question for you. I recently graduated from grad school and got a job. I'm sitting on about $20,000 in school loans and then another $12,000 that I racked up throughout the six years of college. And I'm wondering what the best option for me to do. I'm 25. I'm looking in the future. I'm thinking.
I got these loans until I'm like 40 years old for these school loans. What's the best way to get rid of them? Or what would you do in my situation? Probably move back in with your parents. But, you know, you got to get this stuff paid off, man. And it's got to be your priority. I know you just graduated from grad school and you want to get a nice car and all that stuff. But live mean. Live lean and mean in here. And be frugal. You'll get out of that hole faster. And then you can get serious about making some big-time cash. Well, thank you very much. Good luck to you. There you go, man. P1 Janelle is on the line, and she has a couple of different IRAs and is curious about having a couple of different IRAs. Go ahead, Janelle. Hi. I have been through a couple of jobs in the last few years, and each one I had started up a 401k. I'm wondering whether or not I should roll all those together or whether I should just leave them in their individual accounts. Fantastic question. Yes, absolutely. Get them out of there. Roll them into one IRA account. Do it in a way so that it doesn't trigger any tax liability. You can do what is just called a custodian to custodian transfer. Here's the reason you got to do this, okay? Each one of those accounts is charging you money. Each of them is charging you an annual fee. Could be as much as $100, $150 for each of those accounts, all right? Now, you multiply that out times four, five, ten accounts.
And you're spending $1,000 a year and getting absolutely nothing for it. Consolidate all of these accounts into one account, and you're going to cut your cost way down. It's going to make it a lot easier for you to make money. If you're spending $1,000 a year on fees and expenses, it's going to take a long time for you to start earning money for yourself. I actually didn't know that. That's great. Thank you very much. Good luck. There it is. I have a question on that same thing. My husband has, you know, one that he no longer has, and so they just keep sending us letters going, what should we do with this? Can I transfer it into mine? No, because it's an individual account. It's his account. Okay. I would assume you are the custodian or the beneficiary of the account. But no, it's like an IRA. An IRA is an individual retirement account. So what do we do with it? Roll it into an IRA. Get it out of there. Just like, okay. Yeah, just go to any brokerage firm or bank and they can help you with it. Thank you. Very, very cool. That is George Chamberlain. You can see him every morning from 5 to 9 at the top of the hour on NBC 739. Excuse me, and he's our money guy.
here once a week as well. He breaks it down into normal people talking. I love it. Thank you very much. You bet. Good stuff today. Good stuff. Thanks. That's George Chamberlain. People were allowed to go out to the polls early, and he was out there talking to people, so we'll do that next. Also, when we come back, don't go away. There is a suspected peeping Tom that was arrested yesterday morning, and I'll tell you where in San Diego this was happening. Next. What's a P1? What are you doing? Hey, buddy, who is Obama's running mate? Biden. And who is McCain's running mate? Palin. That's right. Hey, buddy, how old do you have to be to vote? 18. Wow. Hey, Jake, how old do you have to be to drive? How old do you have to be to drive? 16. That's right. Hey, Bubba, who are you going to vote for?
All right, we got to start again. Bub, who's running for president? Who's running for president? Bubba, who's running for president? And who else? And who are you going to vote for? And who's Obama's running mate? Who's Obama's running mate? And who's McCain's running mate? Who's McCain's running mate? He's saying, bye, Daddy. Okay. He's done. He's done. He's done. Later, Dad. Showtime is over. Smart, man. Yeah, he is really smart. I love that. It's so cute. It's so cute, man. I can listen to him do it all day. I like how when you ask him who he's voting for, he always says McCain in the same way.
Wade. Yeah. That's so funny. I don't know how I'm doing that. My gang. My gang. Yeah. That is great. Hey, Ash, will you send Sean those so that he can get some clips out of that? Of course. That's great. All right, honey, I love you. I love you, too. Bye. Okay, you guys want to hear some of this stuff? Absolutely. So we send B-Rob out to the polling places. First of all, what was it like out there yesterday? Dude, it was a zoo. Line was completely wrapped around the Registrar of Voters building. Really? And I was talking to a couple people that worked there and just kind of finding out, you know, how long have people been here and all that. And they said the wait at that moment that I got there, it was like 130, was three hours. Are you kidding me? Yeah. Three hours. That's crazy. Just skip it. No, Eddie, don't. So we got together and we were talking about what kind of stuff should we have them ask. And we wanted to get unusual and different kinds of stuff out there just to see what people would say. And did you get some pretty good reactions from people, Rob? Yeah, dude. I was, you know, a lot of the people that are out there are very adamant on, you know, why they're voting and who they're voting for.
Very political, but, you know, I kind of dumbed it down for me and made it real fun. There we go. If you were to cast Senator McCain in a movie role as anything other than a politician, what would you cast him as? As a farmer. What would you cast McCain as? Gollum in Lord of the Rings. Oh, wow. Wow. That's a Democrat. Wow. Really? Yeah, I wonder who we're talking to there. Yeah. What celebrity do you think would make a good president? Arnold Schwarzenegger. Who would you have run as his VP? I can't think of his name. Probably... Boston Robb. Are you thinking of the guy that played Mr. Belvedere? Because I can't think of his name. I'd say go with Tom Cruise. How about Tom Selleck? Tom Selleck would be even better. Definitely better. If Barack Obama was a wrestler, what would his pro wrestling name be? Mr. Stick. Mr. Stick. Mr. Stick. I love it. If John McCain was a pro wrestler, what would his wrestling name be? American Bulldog. There it is. They already have The Undertaker. That's right. It's already taken. Dang it. What about... Pippet. Come on, Pippet. Come on, Pippet.
Let's see. Next, he's asking them about if they had the right to create some stuff. If you could create a prop, any proposition, you could make up your own, put on the ballot, what would it be? Let's have a prop to end promoting propositions. Yes. I'd love it. Elect that guy. Proposition that would not let you run commercials or have these people holding signs about any other propositions. Exactly. Yep. I'm down with you, sir. That's great. Let's see. Asking another person. Same question. If you could create a prop and put it on the ballot, what would it be? No more reality TV shows. I'm not voting for you. You've got some opposition. Take umbrage with that. Definitely. That's right. The Hills. Can we get rid of that altogether? Can we just eliminate them from the planet? Even Survivor? What was she, Rob? A Republican or Democrat?
I think she was a Democrat. I talked to a lot of people. A lot. I would think so. Pretty good. It was all right, but after Survivor 29, I think they lost their touch. I honestly think that Skye is a Republican at heart. I think we really got to get in there and we got to change her mind. What are you talking about? This person, I bet you, is a Democrat. And clearly, Skye, you love reality TV. That should sway your vote. Well, not all of reality TV. You should become Republican. You love a lot of it. But I do care for it. Big bro. Hello. So good. That's a Republican show. Thank you. That's right. For sure. They do do them. They got to do them for like charity. Do it for free. They don't do anything anyway. There you go. Let's see. He's talking to somebody else here and he's asking him the celebrity deal again. What celebrity do you think would make a great president? None of them.
None of them? None of them. If I had a choice, I would pick Frazier and have Murphy Brown run as his VP. Because I think they're the smartest people on television. Murphy Brown, he couldn't come up with anything more relevant than Murphy Brown. She was wicked smart, dude. Do you remember that? What about Hawkeye from MASH? He didn't even mention him. You know what I mean? A buffalo butt. Yes. The politics now is becoming about being a celebrity and not about the real makings of a politician. Oh, wow. Eddie's giving it. Where today's political atmosphere has become way too Hollywoodized. The guy's well informed. What do you want? Take your little Sean Penn know-it-all self out of you. So true. The guy's involved. Yeah, great. Yeah, great. And that's the big fault of our democratic process right now. Thank you. I run on vegetable oil. Do you think there's no chance for Warren Beatty to run in 2012? I hope not. See, that's the whole thing where politics is becoming about being a celebrity. If Matt Damon ever ran for Senate or anything. Matt Damon.
He would have my vote. I wouldn't even think about it. Him or Ted Danson. Ted Danson was on a show about Boston. He wasn't actually in Congress. I didn't vote for him over anybody else. Again, I think that the politics of America has to move away from being a celebrity more to the education of actual makees of a politician. If you were to cast McCain in a movie role, What would you cast him as? A Romulan. Stop. A loving grandfather. There you go. Thank you. There you go. That was weird. The guy's sincere. Now, this one, Boston Rob says the talk escalates just a bit. Oh, no. Just a bit. It was friendly, though. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. Murmur. If you could make any celebrity president... Who would you pick and who would you have run for VP? Michael Bloomberg. He created Microsoft, right? No. City Mayor of New York. What movie was he in? He wasn't in any movies. He created Bloomberg Entertainment. Bloomberg. He worked with Steven Spielberg. No, he didn't. Who would you have run with him as VP? Geez, I don't know.
Walt Disney. Nope. Steven Spielberg. Nope. Indiana Jones. Nobody. Batman, but Michael Keaton is Batman. If there would be Batman, it would be Christian Bale as Batman. No way, dude. Way. Oh, it's getting heated. Let's agree to disagree. Why not? Michael Keaton is so much better, dude. He's a better actor. Have you ever seen him in Multiplicity? No, I saw him in Mr. Mom. I didn't see Mr. Mom. You didn't see Mr. Mom. A fiery political debate. You didn't see Mr. Mom? I love this. I love this. I love multiplicity. I want this whole two minutes to be my ringtone. If Barack Obama was a wrestler, what would his pro wrestling name be? Oh, jeez. You got to give me time. I can't. I'm not that quick. All right. I'll give you some time while you think about this question. If McCain was a pro wrestler. That is awesome. I love it. I love it. What does his nickname be? It would probably be Sergeant Slaughter's sidekick or something like that. That's really funny. If you were to cast McCain in a movie role, what would you cast him as? Probably a landlord. He could be the super instead of Joe Pesci. If you could cast Obama, what would you cast him as? Like a creepy guidance counselor.
I would cast him in the role that Ice Cube got in Are We There Yet? I would make him the father. Either that or I would cast him as Vanilla Ice's childhood buddy. I would cast Obama as Martin Lawrence in College Road Trip. Now you go. No, I think that Vanilla Ice's high school sidekick would be pretty good. And then he turned out to be MC Hammer. No, and then he turned out to be the square he is. Dude, dude. I had so much fun. Dude, that was great. Hey, I didn't get to it. When we come back, we will tell you. There was a peeping Tom that was arrested in San Diego County yesterday morning. And I will tell all of us what part of San Diego that happened in when we come back. Text numbers 35253. Text us. The cops came. The dude took off on a motorcycle, went down Carlsbad Boulevard, heading east, then on Carlsbad Village Drive. And then I guess eventually his motorcycle ended up, like, hitting the curb during the chase. thrown from his motorcycle and ended up being arrested. We were on this thing called Wonder Radio, and then Clear Channel contacted them and said, no, no, no, you can't do that. And so Clear Channel has their own called iHeartRadio, but all the radio stations are not on there yet. I got iHeartRadio thinking, oh, cool, here it is. Sevens. Dude, it sucks. I know. It's ridiculous. What is that? Just like seven of the biggest markets? No, not even. No, not even. Yeah, you're right. Hey, before we went to break, I was saying that there's free stuff being offered on election day. What? What is it, Sky? Okay, well, lots of places are offering, like, discounts and specials, 20% off this, a free dessert with that. So it would take forever to go through all those. But, you know, if you're going out to eat today, just check and see. Who knows? They may be. But some of the national ones, Starbucks, a free 12-ounce drip coffee. All you got to do. Who's that? It's like the leftover. A small coffee. A tall? A 12-ounce drip. What do you mean? I think a drip is how they make it normally unless you specifically ask for French press. That's what it's called. What's going on here? It's just regular coffee. Oh, pardon me. I'm not so fancy. We don't know your tough feeling.
Oh, it's a drip. What are you, John Stephanopoulos? Thank you. Stephanopoulos. He's the richest guy in the world, dude. So just go into... Stephanopoulos money. So just go into Starbucks, tell them you voted today, and you will be entitled to a free 12-ounce coffee. Yeah, but it's the drip. Yeah. Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip, drip. Okay. Ben and Jerry's, if you want some ice cream between 5 and 8 o'clock tonight, go into Ben and Jerry's, tell them you voted, and you will get a free scoop of ice cream. Don't you have to have a sticker? Don't you have to have a... Well, that's initially what they started, but then they found out that that's, like, illegal. Because, you know, not everyone can vote. So it's like not fair to only, you know, so all you have to do, they say, go in, say you voted, do a little vote dance, whatever. They'll give it to you. I'll do it. Where is there a Ben and Jerry's? I know there's one in RB, or at least there used to be one. I went there a couple of years ago in Rancho Bernardo. Oh, look at fancy pants. Too good for Baskin Robbins.
community there in Rancho Bernardo. What am I, Brian Cumble over here? Got that kind of dough to be able to go there? Excuse me, Daughtry. Yeah. And then Krispy Kreme. But this one's kind of weird because they say about 85 of the 200 Krispy Kreme locations are doing this. I went to their website, and they don't specifically list what locations are doing this. But 85 Krispy Kreme locations around the U.S. today are giving out free red, white, and blue sprinkled donuts, which normally would cost you. Where's Krispy Kreme besides the sports arena? Clamont Mesa. Yeah? Right across the street from you. I'd like to call them and make an appointment. Rob, while you're shopping at Circuit City, stop over and get a free donut. Yeah, dude, I'm going. I made a list. There you go. So lots of cool freebies and discounts out there today. Rob will be eating donuts and ice cream for lunch, his meal today. And coffee, don't forget.
Why is vice president, she must have just voted, the vice presidential candidate, Sarah Palin. And I do recognize this is an historical event. No matter which ticket, of course, prevails. And there, too, it bodes so well for the progress that our great country is making. And barriers, of course, being removed and glass ceilings being shattered. It would be great if a moose walked by and she just pulled out a gun and blasted it. Right in the middle of this thing. She is so pretty. She's gorgeous. If you work hard and if you are prepared for opportunities and open doors in front of you, you're going to be able to progress. You're going to be able to succeed. And I think that that is what this day for me represents. The hub, first husband. He would be first husband. First dude. So before we went to break, I was asking you about if anybody bought infomercial stuff. Yes. I ordered infomercial stuff while on the boat when we went on a cruise to Cabo. I'm laying there in bed, 1 o'clock in the afternoon. You're a party animal. Yeah, I'm a party animal.
And they had this infomercial on for this thing called the Midnight Special. What? It was these DVDs of 70s bands that used to be on this TV show called the Midnight Special, and they would perform. Okay, that's what you got to tell yourself, bro. And it was like, you know, Captain and Tennille, Kiss, like every, you know, it ran the gamut in terms of... What kind of music from R&B and soul to rock to classic rock to like John Denver to everything you can imagine. And I love those DVDs. I love them. I don't watch them all the time, but I've watched them a lot. I'll think about them and I'll go, I want to go see Helen Reddy sing. Oh, gosh. You know, I am woman. Hear me roar. Yeah. You know, I think my father-in-law has those because he showed them to us once. And the funniest part about those is just watching the people in the audience. Yes. Because, like, they, like, sit on the floor and they're dressed all. Dude. It's 70s out. Oh, it is awesome. You see the big, giant glasses. Oh, yeah. Like, eyeglasses, you know? Back in the big, giant, like, you know, John Denver glasses stage. Yeah, dude. Turtlenecks, you know. It's fantastic. Turtlenecks. I love it. 570-1053. I just got.
An apple corer and peeler. It's this device. You stick the apple on there and twist the handle. So awesome. It cores it, peels it, and cuts it all in one motion. My experience with stuff you buy on TV has been good. It works really good. Sometimes I'll use it two times and never touch it again. See, I want to know about the ShamWow. What is that? I'm very interested in the ShamWow. I want to know if it really does what they claim it does. Somebody's calling in and says they got the ShamWow. I want to talk to them. P1 Combat Cook. Yes, Mikey Show. Hello. Hi. Can you tell me, because I don't know, what is a ShamWow? Okay, the ShamWow absolutely works. And I use it for my cars. I use it at home. I actually... clean houses for a living, and it works there. It works with the build and the carpet for pets, everything. What is it? It's like a spongy kind of a towel thing. It kind of feels like a yoga mat. Yeah, like on the commercial, the dude will have like a strip of carpet, and he'll pour like a whole soda on this like strip of carpet. The whole thing. He'll put a ShamWow on it.
It'll soak it up. He'll wring it out. He'll put it back on just one more time, and it soaks all the soda up. He lifts the piece of carpet off and even the floor underneath the carpet. Come on. For real? Seriously. That's what I did. I didn't believe it, and then on base where I work, they were actually doing a demonstration, so I was like, well, why not? And I watched it, and then I got suckered in, and so I ordered it online, and it didn't come, and I got upset, so I ordered another one. And then the other order came in, so I ended up with like eight. Seth, what were you going to say? Go ahead, Seth. Just that the infomercial is the most hilarious, most ridiculous thing you've ever seen in your life. Maybe we should see if we can get it on YouTube. When I first saw it, I thought it was like a fake commercial. I thought it was a spoof of an infomercial. Yeah, he is genius. Is he a British guy? No, not this one. He's from like Jersey. Oh, really? Yeah, but if it really works like that, I'm all in on the ShamWow. ShamWow. OxiClean. I got that stuff. It worked. Oh, you have that? I've had OxiClean. It works. I didn't know that was an infomercial. The one thing I really want to get. Yeah, I think it started out as an infomercial because I got it when I was in Dallas. Now it's like everywhere. It's money, dude. Yeah, I see it in stores. I'm always like kind of iffy on buying that stuff. It works. You say it works. It does, dude. It works. It's magic. P1 Matt is on 8th. Oh, hey, Matt.
P1 Matt. Hey Matt. Hi Matt. Call and say that I'm the last person to buy anything and I bought the Magic Bullet. What is it? I got that. What is the Magic Bullet? The Magic Bullet is the most amazing little blender and it fits in a suitcase. It's tiny and I keep it next to my desk and I use it about four or five times a day with frozen fruit and I got the two for one. And five years later, I'm still on the first one. So I am the first to say I'll be the last to buy, but the first to buy that again. What do you blend up? Give me an example of what you would throw in the magic bullet. Smoothie. You make a smoothie with it? Is that the deal? Oh, yeah. I keep this thing next to my desk. I think anything you'd use like a blender for. Like protein powder and frozen fruit and a little milk. And you just turn that thing on. And every other blender I've had burns out after about. four months of using it and i've had this one for five years i haven't even used the second one and the great thing about this is because my brother actually bought this and we have it yeah you know it's real small but the thing that you pop onto the top to blend up all the fruit when you take it off you just flip the whole thing upside down and it's a cup oh really yeah so you don't even have to you know what i mean you don't pour it out into nothing
You just flip it over, kind of unscrew it. I like the idea because I don't like cleaning big blenders. Yeah. You got something a cup size. That's no big whoop. Right. Awesome. Awesome for parties if you're going to make smoothies. Do you stick up? You mean for the smoothie parties? Throwing the smoothie party? What do you do? Do you throw ice in it? No. Yeah. I mean, it depends what you're making. But anything you would use a blender for, this thing. You can do it. So you throw ice and a couple of bananas in there, right? And then you blend it up. Yes. Is that right? Yes. Bring your magic. Do you have one? Yeah. Bring it in. Okay. I have to find it. I want to try it. Yeah. I want to try the magic. Oh, you know what else I got? Use it almost. I probably use it four times a week. What? At least four times a week. The vacuum food container thing. The vacuum sealer. You bought that too? All the time. We use that thing all the time. You have it? I bought that for my dad. I don't know if I bought the infomercial brand because I bought mine at Kohl's or whatever. I think it's Food Saver. Yeah, that is the brand. I want the Hercules hook. What is that? It's that same guy, Billy whatever. Yeah, Billy Mays. It's just a hook and it's unbreakable.
You can hang anything from it. Like Bruce Willis. You can hang Bruce Willis from it? Hang humans from it. Wait a minute. Hang on. This is my neighbor, Kate. Kate, you there? Yeah. Which one do you use? Obsessed with the magic bullet. Really? Obsessed. You can use it breakfast, lunch, dinner. My whole family has one. Brunch. Brunch. Can you do brunch with it? Snack. Give me an example of what you would do. When's the last time you used it? This morning, I'm about to go downstairs and use it right now. What are you going to put in there? I'm going to make a smoothie with it. Smoothie? What kind? Tell me what you're going to put in it. I'm going to put in frozen berries, ice, banana, flaxseed, protein powder. And then you close it up, you blend it, and you drink it straight from the cup? And I just stick a straw in it and I drink it. I make pesto for dinner. It's so much better than a blender. I mean, it's so instant. I grind my coffee in it. You name it, you can do it in the Magic Bullet. Oh, you can do coffee in that? Wait a minute. Let me understand this right. So the cool thing about the Magic Bullet is that it's not as big as a blender. Well, and it's just more efficient. Like, I can finish things in a Magic Bullet way faster and better than I can in a blender. That's cool. Bring mine over. You can try it, and then you'll go buy one. I want to check it out. Okay, I'll bring it over. All right, thanks. Okay, bye.
Yeah, and the food saver vacuum deal, we use that like when we open bacon up. You know how when you open, first of all, bacon's disgusting, okay? Thank you. What? Well, I don't know how they haven't come up with a better method of delivering bacon. I agree. Okay, because think about it. All right. It's in the sealable vacuum pack to begin with. Right. And to open bacon, you got to get a pair of scissors, which is stupid. Oops. Dude, use your teeth, bro. Hey, hold on. Hold on. Talk to me. Talk to me. The Oscar Mayer bacon has the pull apart bacon. Yes, they do. Was that the Ziploc thing? No. There's like a little thing and you just pull it and it opens up. Okay, but there's no Ziploc? No Ziploc. You have to use it all. Why do you suppose they don't do Ziploc? Wait a second. Go, go. They do have a new thing where it comes in like a kind of a small plastic little container where you can reseal it. Really? It's new. I believe it's Oscar Mayer. Because nobody is usually going to open up. Okay, but let's go through the ones that aren't like that. The traditional bacon thing. Yeah. If there isn't that thing, you've got to take a pair of scissors to it, which is stupid, okay? And you're usually going to cut through the cardboard, the yellow cardboard Oscar Mayer sign as you're doing it, which means you've now cut plastic and cardboard together. And then you open that up.
And the inside of it is all greasy and sticky with stuff. And then you have to grab the cardboard and pull it up to separate it from the bacon and put your fingers in there. And now the top of your fingers are coated in bacon grease as you take the bacon out. That's the traditional method of bacon, which is stupid. And so I don't know about those ones that you're talking about, but I'm going to find them. I'm going to find that. But what we do now is we just take the food saver, and we just stick the old bacon in there, and we vacuum seal it. That's good. Yeah, the food saver's great for, like, anything. You open a block of cheese, you put it in there, some cereal. Hey, man, I'm not kidding you, too. When you stick it in there, it can stay in your refrigerator for 49 years. Really? If there's a good sale on meat, buy a bunch of it, food save it. It stays good. What kind of meat? Steaks. Yeah. Wow. Yeah, right. Chicken. In your face. Now how do you feel? I've been enjoying 1986 Easter ham. For years. Let's see. A couple of other infomercial things. Which, this is so great. The George Foreman grill.
You have to own one of those. You have to. You know what? I never did. Let me ask you guys about the George Foreman grill. Because obviously it works and obviously it's successful. The guy has sold to date 470 billion of those things. It's an actual figure. Why are they cool? To me, isn't it better to grill? outdoors on a grill oh man you are missing the point so you're saying like break them off talk to me what is good cooking a hamburger okay all right you put it in the foreman and it it it closes on it and all the fat and grease yeah from the burger drains out so it's it's like a health thing and it's also quick Because it's, like, it's real quick. And for people who don't have, like, a backyard with a barbecue, this is perfect. If you live in a little apartment or whatever, this is legit. Well, Rob has a coffee can that has a bunch of, you know, like, clothes hangers that he's used for grill top, and he just grills hammers. It's really great. And then the other thing, I don't know if anyone's got this, but I want to make this purchase. The Magic Putty.
Is that it? Oh, yeah. I've wondered about that. Dude, I have to buy this. I don't know what this is. What is it? Put stuff together. What is it? Dude, it's some putty that, like, he makes a chain link. Yeah. And pulls a, what is he pulling? A truck is, like, dragging something. A trailer or something. Yeah. With the chain link. Unbreakable putty. Yeah. When it hardens, like, you know, it's like green on the outside and it's got a white center. What are the practical uses for that? Well, he says you can do anything. Like, say you get a crack in your PVC pipe for your sprinklers. You can put it on there wet. Yeah, you can just put it on there wet, and it'll seal it. Or you need to stick something to something else. If you've got, like, a real noisy child, you put it right over their mouth. No, Sean, I don't. No, you don't. I did not say that. Do any of you have the Dr. Steve Brule Panini? Yes, I wish. That's really good. Sean, you want to roll that? Hi, Kathy Mitchell here in the kitchen with a brand new exciting product called the Griddleman. And I have a friend to help me introduce it to you. The Griddleman. From Channel 5 News, Dr. Steve Bruhl. Oh, good. Have you ever bought a panini at a restaurant? I mean, it's a sandwich. I wonder why you call it a panini. Well, panini is Italian, I think. It means grilled in Italian. What's Italian? That's a country in Europe. It looks like a boot, kind of shaved out. Like a cowboy boot. Let's make your sandwich. You want to hand me one of those spatulas over there?
The purple one. Just, they're all yellow. The purple spatula. Here, I'll get it. Oh, that one. Okay, that one, yeah, okay. How about some meat? Do you like turkey? Well, you call them turkey. Whatever you like, your own little touches. Do you like pickles or? Yeah. Okay, very good. Let's put some pickles. All right. Those are olives. You like olives? Those are olives. Okay. Okay. We need to put a little of this grease on it now. What type of animal does the grease come from? Well, this is horse. Sounds expensive. We're going to brush it right on there. Do you like sandwiches? Have you had a panini before? In a cowboy boot. Okay, and we're going to close the lid. That sandwich is going to be ready in about five seconds. Look at that. Doesn't that look amazing? Kathy, I can't wait. I have to take a bite of this panini. Be careful because it's hot. My tongue. Oh, maybe just a little bit at the edges. It smells like a horse. There it is. It's the Dr. Steve Rolpenini. People are blowing up the phone lines like this is the hot... Okay, we're electing a new president today. Our phone lines are blowing up right now. Love it. With people that have bought infomercial stuff.

Let me wrap up the infomercial thing because people are calling in and talking about their favorite. Ebony, have you ever bought one? I bought one for my dad. I've never bought one for myself. What'd you get? The Food Saver. Oh, yeah. That's right. All right. Well, I got a list of the top 10 late night infomercial products. Oh, awesome. And so I'll read those to you here in just a second. First, let's hear what you guys are saying. What do you have? P1 Andrea.
Actually, my friend John is an inventor and invents stuff for infomercials, like the pancake puff. He invented that. Get out of here. There's a guy on line one right now that is calling because he has a pancake puff. Let's see. P1L Ray, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. You have the pancake puff? Yeah, that thing is awesome. Yeah, dude. This lady that we're talking to right now. She has a friend that's the inventor. Whoa, what is going on? Are you there, Gabby? Yes, I am. So, is it your friend that... No, it isn't. What is going on here? The phone. Zeth screwed everything up. No, no, no. Check this out. Call back, lady. Call back, lady. You know how we have two different phone banks? Yeah. We do? Yeah, usually you could hit one line and go over there and hit another line and the other one. It's now hanging up on the first bank. No. Well, that's really bad. It's real bad for what we do. Yeah. Let's see. Okay. El Rey, so you have the pancake puff. I do. What does it do? What is it? Well, you put pancake batter in it, and it makes the pancakes, but in the form of balls. So you get like seven little balls instead of having one round pancake. But you can also use it for like...
Cake batter, or to make little pigs in a blanket, all in the form of little balls. Yeah, and it comes with an injector. Gabe was trying to convince me to buy this last weekend. Want to hear the pancake puff commercial? Yeah. Let's hear a little bit of it. Go ahead. Then you'll love pancake puffs. Why are they always like that? Completely round and revolutionary. Introducing the pancake puff pan. Pause. Pancake puffs are easy to make. Pause. You know what else I love about infomercials? What? it's always the biggest losers that are using the original version. Oh, yeah. Like, they'll show you some knife, and they'll be like, are you tired of trying to cut potatoes? And they'll show a person that's like, ah! SNL has the funniest skit about it. It's trying to open a jar, and so she can't open the jar, and the jar slips out of her hand. Hits her husband in the head. So she has to drag her husband's dead body out. Seriously. They're like, are you tired of digging ditches and burying bodies? Yeah. Because you can't open a jar. Get the handy glove or whatever. Oh, dude. So funny. Every time. And he just got the fingers. And it wasn't the kind of finger that you like. What was that for? You know what it's for. Take it back. It was for you. I was supporting. Okay. Lies.
Hey, in Italy, that's a friendship finger. Oh, well, that's you. We're friends forever. Let's see. Hey, Sean. Yeah. Do you have the infomercial for ordering pants on the Internet? Yes. I'd like to know how you can order pants on the Internet. The Internet. Well, what do you think? Tim, I am blown away by the internet. And you know, my favorite part is the shopping zone. Tim, you definitely need a new pair of pants. Guilty as charged. Well, come on. Let's click on the pants. Now select color. What about pleats? Parachute or non-parachute? Cuff or no cuff? Now your size. Now print your order form. And then fax it over to Cinco's Internet Receiving Center. It's so fun and easy. Just fax it. You know I'm a music net, okay? And that's why I love the Internet, because it features net tunes with over 100 songs available. Over 100 songs. It's so hot. My wife likes rock music, and I love country music.
How can one CD-ROM contain enough music for both of us to be satisfied? I've heard it a million times before. The music on this CD almost feels limitless. You've got rock. Country for this guy. Guilty as charged. Tim, you know my daughter Susan loves children's music. Let's listen to a sample. Let's not. Let's see. 570-1053. Call us right now and tell us. What stupid thing you've bought on the internet or on these infomercials? Make your voice heard, San Diego. Listen to this. Number 10, green bags. Don't know what that is. Oh, I've seen those. Important for people who like to eat healthy but don't always have the time to run to the supermarket. These vacuum bags do the veggies. Keep the veggies fresh for longer.
But again, you can find any food vacuum bag. You have to see these commercials. Yeah. They're disgusting. Really? Oh, yeah. Well, they show like carrots that bend like that and all this poultry or produce that's just disgusting. Hey, we got P1 Gabby on the line. Are you there, Gabby? I'm here. That's the number 10 is the one that you have, the green bags. What is it and do you use it? Yes. Okay, I use it. And actually, I have my five-year-old to thank for that because she kept saying, Mama, you got to buy a Debbie Vine green bag so that our strawberries don't go bad. Did it work? And they work, I swear. How much longer does it keep the stuff fresh? I tried it with iceberg lettuce, which is notoriously known for going bad quickly. So I put a piece of iceberg lettuce in there. It lasted for two weeks in the fridge. Weird. It's almost weird. Yeah, it has something to do with, like, when fruit off gases, it, like, gives off gases. That makes it... Cider ice, please. It makes it ripen. Joke grenade. It calms the fruity gassiness. Yes. And it works. You can get them at Target for $10. I love it. Can you step on a duck? That'd be great for you, Ash. That's huge. I love produce. I think your grandpa was trying to say something. Try them. They work. Love you guys. Thank you. Love you guys. I love you guys. Your show's great. Number nine. The Little Giant.
I don't know what that is. It's a ladder. That thing's awesome. It's really expensive, it says. Is it? It says it's real expensive. It's a little ladder. Yeah, it's a ladder, but it bends every which way, so you can actually make a sawhorse out of it. You can make a hat, or you can make a boat. Whatever. Sorry, I helped. Number eight. The Bug Zapper. I mean, isn't that what you could get at any Home Depot for like 20 bucks? Does it say why it's like special or good? It says it's cool but dangerous. Oh, good. This is like a tennis racket except you put batteries in it and it zaps bugs. So buy it for your kids for Christmas. Yeah, apparently. And it says it is $9.99. That's not that bad. $9.99 would kill bugs. Let's see. Number seven, OxyClean Foam. There you go. There it is. You talked about it. Stuff works great, man. Booyah. I use it. Booyah. Never heard of this next one. Never heard of it. It's called Grab It. Grab It. Really useful time saver for anyone who does a lot of carpentry or any activity that involves a lot of screws. Is that like the Easy Reacher? What is that? No, it's not. It doesn't sound like it. No? The Easy Reacher was a product that my grandpa sold.
And I would go to Orchard Supply Fairs and help him sell the Easy Reacher, and I would show people how it can pick up anything from a dime to a 10-pound brick. Can you imagine? I would love to see a little Ashley doing that. I would love to see that. With my Canaan Companions for Independence dog that I was raising to assist someone in a wheelchair. You are something else. By my side, and I'm assisting my grandpa. I'd go every fair. Like, we'd do, like, three or four a year. It says that maybe it is like that, Ash. It says, instead of sapping the thing off or just giving up, this magical product allows you to drill a hole in the end of a stripped screw and pull it out. No problem. Okay, that's different. Yeah. That sounds way cooler. Yeah, it does. How about the Popeil Pocket Fisherman? What? What? Pocket Fisherman? Yeah. I don't know about that. I went on that. It's a family show, Mike. He's pulled plenty of fish on the local lake, blah, blah, blah. I guess it's just a little small, little tiny... fishing pole you could fit in your pocket. That is great. Take it out and catch fish. The Mighty Putty. I think that's probably that stuff you were talking about. Mighty Putty. That's it. I'm sorry. Mighty Putty. I'm sorry. Mighty Putty. Mike, if you have a wooden chair and the leg breaks off and while it breaks off, it also chips, you can mold this putty to make it look like that and let it dry. And then you have a chair that looks terrible with much of putty on it. No, and then you paint it.
And it looks perfect again. Oh. And it will also fix the chair. Dude, this stuff. Oh. I'm on MightyPuddy.com. Everything. I'm on MightyPuddy.com. Oh, how exciting. The same guy is the infomercial guy for every product. Billy Madison. Billy Madison. No, that's a, I think that's a movie. Billy Madison. That's it. Billy Madison. Remember Adam Sandler? Billy. It says, fill it, mold it to any shape. Seal leaks. Sand it. Paint it. Support up to 350 pounds. Smack it up, flick it, rub it down. Oh, no. I mean, are you going to try and work that in every day? It's working, though. No, it was perfect there. I'm not going to lie. Smack it up, flick it, rub it down. Oh, no. Let's see. Number three. The Hercules hook. Eddie talked about it. Hello, there it is. Hercules. Yeah. This thing you can hang pictures of. You can hang pictures with it. Shelves with it. Anything, Mike. You can hold anything. Bodies. Leatherface loves it. That's right. Just throw it on the wall and you can stick stuff on it. Just jam it in the wall. Number two, ShamWow. Let me hear some of the ShamWow commercial. Let's hear it. That's you, Sean.
Hold on. I know it's me. I was kidding. Come on. Let me hear it. Do it. Sean, play it. Oh, no. Sean. Everybody relax. Sean, play it. Sean, can you play it? Hi, it's Vince with ShamWow. You'll be saying wow every time you use this towel. It's like a shammy. It's like a towel. It's like a sponge. A regular towel doesn't work wet. It's like a wow. This works wet or dry. This is for the house, the car, the boat. Why don't you just use paper towels? Why do you want to work twice as hard? Doesn't trip. Doesn't make a mess. You wring it out. You wash it in the washing machine. Made in Germany. You can cut it in half. Use one as a bath mat. Drain your dishes with the other one. Use one as a towel. Olympic divers, they use it as a towel. Put a wet sweater, roll it up. It dries your sweaters. Here's some cola. Wine, coffee. So why is that different than a towel? It absorbs everything. Yeah. More? It absorbs a lot more. A lot more. It absorbs your soul into it. Sucks it right in there. Yep. Number one, Magic Bullet Blender. Oh. Really? That's number one. Wow. Dude, I'm going to give you one of these things. No idea. Everybody's talking about it. I bought my sister-in-law one. I've got to ask her how she does it. I'll make some smoothies. Oh, yeah. I'll make a little smoothie. Yeah, I'll make a smoothie. I'll make a smoothie. I'll make a smoothie. So we got Andrea back. Yeah, she. Hi, Andrea.
Hello. Your friend's the one that invented the puff? Yes, the pancake puff. Did he give you a bunch of free stuff he invents? No. Yo, Andrea, isn't that just a donut? Yeah. He invented a jelly donut? Really? Come on. What does it do? You can put, like, hot dogs in it to make, like, cheese to make, like, um... Picks in a blanket. People love that. Wait, wait, what? Well, you put the little mini hot dogs in there and you pour your batter in and make a little pig in a blanket. You know, the little hot dogs wrapped in the... I thought pigs in a blanket are even sausage. Sausage. Sausage. Sausage. Well, everyone just calm down. Sausages. Sausages. I'm so confused. Yeah, it sounds like a jelly donut maker. I thought this thing pours batter onto a skillet for you to make perfectly round... Also... Oh, puffs it up. You can put stuff in it as well. Yeah, also you can put stuff in it. It's like a panini maker. It's like the food of Italy. Right. It smells like a horse. It smells like a horse. Thank you for the call, Andrea. Congratulations. Thank you. Jelly donut. Jelly lady. Oh, you're so jelly. It's election day, you guys. You turkeys. You bunch of turkeys. You out there voting or what? When we come back, we'll do the list that we have of the most inspirational movies of all time.

According to moviephone.com. Of all time. Rudy, put it on the board. Number one. No. It's in the top 10. No, it's not. Well, Sky, that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. The guy was so small. Yeah, hello. He wasn't really even on the team. Yeah. Just on, like, the practice squad. And then the whole team was like, oh, you can take my spot. And he gets out there. One play, Sky, sacks the quarterback. Yeah. Should be on there. Just like that. Braveheart. Good Will Hunting. Remember the Titans. Rocky. Remember the Titans. Rocky is number five. I said Rocky.
You did. Mike said it. I didn't hear it. What about? Field of Dreams. Oh. Full Runnings. You're telling me Braveheart is not on top 10. Full Durham. Chariots of Fire. Raging Bull. Kate Mile. Guy got out of the ghetto, man. Green Mile. Kramer versus Kramer. Mike. You son of a... Forrest Gump. Thank you, Mikey. You're welcome, Mr. McCain. Deliverance. So he knows how to say thank you. That's impressive. I don't see Obama saying thank you. Well, if there's a teleprompter up, he will. Otherwise, he'll sit there for five minutes and try to remember how to say thank you. At least he does go around insulting people. Thank you. Please. John McCain. Hey, West Virginia, you guys suck. There's West Pennsylvania. Oh, you're so smart. Anyway. Is Jaws on there? No. Demolition Man. New York Minute. Tell Mama the babysitter's dead. Oh, yeah. Or my mama from the babysitter. Yeah. One of these movies we always see around the holidays. Oh, Planet of the Apes. You see, that's because that's who I am, and you're nothing. Charlie Brown and the great coffee down. It's a Wonderful Life. Yes, Ashley, number four. Oh, look at that. All right, show off. 300, I am you. 300? Oh, 300. Oh, yes. What about that for inspirational? It's not on there. You are a something. You're a something. One of these movies. Always be closing. Always be closing. Some kind of wonderful. Arachnophobia. One of these movies always reminds us of Sean's wedding. Eight-legged freaks. Yes, actually. Schindler's List is number six. Yeah, it's because the guy that was marrying them referenced the Holocaust. It's the truth.
He was saying that's how much in love you guys were. It wasn't specifically that. It was about how you guys were in love. You guys could survive the Holocaust. He was referencing a movie. He was talking about the ovens. He said you love your wife as much as Hitler hated the Jews. That's what he said. He didn't say that. He said something almost identical to it. It was really close. Whatever it was, all of our jaws dropped open. That is true. How about You've Got Mail? Oh, it should be. So good. So good. The Patriot. The Patriot. What Mel Gibson. American Movie. American Pie. No. American History X. No. America. Team America. Wolf Police. Yeah. Friday. Mikey Show. Next Friday. Friday after next. Hello? Yeah, I've got a pic for the movie. Go ahead. Caveman. It's a good one. It's a great movie. Star Wars. Here are some of the text messages that we're getting. Okay. It says, most inspirational movie, what about Apocalypse Now? Put it on the list. That's P1 Kamikaze. Surprisingly not. Mikey, what about Powder? Remember the Titans, I Cry Every Time, P1 Funky Bunch. Whatever.
Ashley, by the way, no more deodorant or tissues. Just you, ShamWow. That's B1Z. Seriously. That makes a lot of sense. Dude, just make a shirt out of it. Do you guys even see today? Oh, Ash. Oh, come on. And I have paper towels underneath. Seriously, stop. You do not. Yeah. Do you really have paper towels? You are so gross. She just reached in underneath her shirt. This is my second round because the first ones were sopping wet and I had to throw them away. And this is my second round of paper towels under my arm. Look at Sean. He really is going to lose his name. Honestly, I almost got sick. No. I'm not joking. I don't blame you, Sean. It's a dysfunction. I don't want to hear it. Shut up. It's a dysfunction. It's something I have to struggle with every day. It's a struggle. I will not. I wish you would. How about this text message? Mikey, whatever happened to producer Jen P1 12 years ago? You know what? Producer Jen became a successful radio boss. She's a program director. She's a program director. Yeah. She became a program director. 5701053. All right, what are we missing? Edward Scissorhands. That's a good one. Yes. Inspires me to have scissors. Seabiscuit. Number 10, The Grapes of Rat. What are you doing? Mike just asked me, what did we miss? Yeah.
Number nine. I wasn't either. Number eight, Norma Ray. A Muppet Christmas Carol. Number seven. I missed nine. The best years of our lives. Who's there? Leatherface. What? Number three, The Miracle Worker. Number two, Glory. And number one, My Left Foot. I hate you and your list. What was nine? What was nine? What is that movie? What was it? What was it? What is nine? I couldn't hear you. You know what I mean. I don't. What was it? Seriously. I was on the phone. I missed it. What is it? Say it. What is that? Yeah, this is great radio, Sky. Sky is holding up a piece of paper. I said it like time. Say it one more. Honestly, I did not hear. What? I couldn't hear. The movie, you know, Eddie was talking and somebody was talking. I was talking. What was it? Shut up. I'm serious. I didn't hear. I will not say it again. I don't know what you're saying. He was talking. I swear. I can't read your writing. I was talking. You can read my writing. I can't. Just say it. No, I will not give you a clean cut of that. Uh-uh. Come on, what is it? I told you! It doesn't make any sense. Read that. You read that. Can't read your writing. I can't read your writing. It's all messy. You read my writing every second of the day. Seriously, what is it? Seriously. I already told you. Give it to us one more time. What? Give it to us.
I can't understand you. You're saying it too fast. Are you calling me a loser? Hoosers. Hoosers? You are phenomenal. Scott, come on. You've heard that movie. It's called Hoosiers. Hoosiers. Hoosiers. Hoosiers. Get out of there, you hoosers. Hey, hoosers. You hooser. Wow. Scott, you've never heard of Hoosiers? I'm just asking. Hey, hooser, eh? Don't you hoosers, eh? We're all adults here. You can't talk. Okay. Shut up, Sean. At least I can shake people's hands. To her defense, she can't shake people's hands. I'm good at it. Okay, whatever. I vote that we get those paper towels from Ashley and send them to Sean in the mail. You are an idiot.
I'll burn your house to the ground. Sounds like a threat. That's a fair deal. It's just water. It's not water. That is not. It is because it doesn't smell like it. Let me ask you a question. That if we were to take a ShamWow to that and we were to also put water in a vial, we sent it to a scientist. He would test both of them and say, hey, these are both drinkable water. Okay, okay. Okay, well, maybe it's... Let's get a chamois, put chamois on one side and paper towel on the other, see if it works. No, well, maybe it's recycled water. But it's water. So you... It doesn't... It's not like it's... So do you think that maybe the scientists would say, well, what we have here is we have water and we have recycled water. Yeah. Because it's water that, like, I guess is in my body, but it's coming out. It's filtered through your armpits. Yeah, but my armpits are clean. I think that the scientists would say... You guys sent us the wrong vial. This one has armpit sweat. Yeah. It's really not a big deal. Oh, yeah. I just can't believe that after this amount of time, she hasn't found something that will work on that stuff. That's bad. Dude, it's been forever. I mean, we've tried everything, man. We've tried sawdust. We've tried special deodorants. You know, the only thing that she hasn't done.
It's got those Botox shots. And ShamWow. Mitt Romney's hair. Yeah, we tried to shop it up with Mitt Romney's hair. It didn't work. I wonder what the Botox does to the sweat. It kills them. Kills the sweat glands? Oh, nice. Like freezes them or paralyzes them. You don't need to have... Sounds like a horse. What? You don't need to have sweat glands? Not... Well, you do. You can have them throughout your body. But yeah. But in your armpits, it's not necessary? No. You should try it. I will not. I'm looking into it. Of course, I don't even sweat one-tenth of my armpits the amount that our girl, Ashton. It was freaking crazy yesterday, Mike. I was in yoga, and it was a packed class. It sure is. It was a packed class, which just makes it even hotter. Normally, it's like a 95-degree room, but they were saying it was over 100 degrees. Sounds like a horse. So it was like a 105-degree room, and I couldn't breathe. I was so hot. I was sweating so much that the yoga instructor came by to, like, help me and slipped in my sweat. That is nice. And she was like, oh. And then she, like, kind of uncomfortably laughed, and she's like, oh, here's your sweat in the way. Oh, that is great. You got your sweat on me. I got your sweat on me. She paddled over her. Yes. Oh, come on. A one-man kayak. Gnarly. Wow.
The girl can sweat. You are gross. No way. She's not gross. Mike. Ash. What? You just have a little extra work and little. You can't even say it. I can too. She's got a little extra work and sweat clan there is all. Let's see. Mikey, what comes out of Ashley's pits is just water like farts or just air. Oh, my God. It's just air. It's P1 Hilarious. Oh, wow. Your armpits are farting. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't smell. To her credit, it does not. 5701053 is the number. It's raining up here. It's just sweat. It's just sweat. It's not raining. It's just water. It looks like condensation, but it's not. It's just water. In the news today, Jennifer Aniston calls Owen Wilson brave. I think we were all thinking it. Yeah. Only one of us had the guts to say it. Today, Jennifer Aniston. Tom broke off back from retirement. Owen Wilson brave. That is sweet. Let's go to NBC's Jim Mikliszewski to report on why. Reporting live.
So, yeah, Jenny Aniston and Owen Wilson, you know, did this movie together, Marley and Me, which is going to come out around the holidays. But they filmed it. You know, it was the first movie he filmed after his suicide attempt. And so she was doing an interview and was asked about it. And she says she thought it was very brave of him to go through the year he went through. Well, of course, you know, she says things a little weird. She says, quote, I feel like how brave of him to walk through the year that he walked through. So I guess he won't. I hate her. No, you don't. I do. I love her. I love her. She's annoying. That is a strange thing to say. Very weird. That's a strange thing to say, especially in light of what he did. Right? Yeah. I mean, wouldn't that be what you, like, I honestly, I could say that about her. I think she was pretty brave. Of going through the Brad Pitt stuff. Dude, she went through some gnarly stuff, and she actually came through it pretty strong. You know what I mean? I agree. Like, she came through it pretty strong, and she did the right stuff, and she got over it, and she's, like, kind of a... You can look to her and go, hey, she got over it. You know what I mean? Yeah. But I don't understand the statement. Yeah, I'm assuming, you know, brave of him to, you know, come back to work. Let everybody know, maybe? And to be in the public. Well said. I don't know. Maybe it was a... Yeah. He was open about it. He didn't try to hide it. Could be. Okay. Sky has new releases.
That are out today. Dude, Get Smart coming out today. Are you serious? I can get it now? Like if I go to the store? I cannot wait, dude. I had no idea. I really want to get great reviews. Skye is holding. Oh, she is so mad. This is deteriorating. I think she's upset that you've given away, you know, like you've sort of like. I mean, obviously you spent a half hour yesterday finding all of these. It's like you stole his condo. It's like the fourth week in a row. So go ahead. Go ahead. To my defense. To Eddie's defense, Scott. I'm just excited about your new releases. Thank you. Well, why couldn't you just say that? I did. I just did. No, but you said like. I know. I'm so excited you're going to say. I can't even remember. I can't even remember. Just get smart. Sky is trying to hand you the information because she's upset you stole the thunder. This is her segment. There's only one movie out this week. That's the only new release this week. Is it the Hoosers special edition? Now she's really at it. She is taking... No, don't do it. Don't you dare. Sky, do not. I'm sorry. Get Smart is not coming out today.
She picked up Eddie's paper caricature. There is a P1 that made little paper caricatures of each of us. Oh, yeah. And P1 Corman made little caricatures of each of us. So there's seven little paper caricatures up on the studio window. And Skye just went over and picked the Eddie caricature up. I don't know why she's acting like this. This is a big day today. Yeah, what's coming out? I can't even acknowledge it. All right, new video game's out today. James Bond, Quantum of Solace, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PS3. Who got my name? Hey, Seth. What up? Oh, yeah, we drew names yesterday for Secret Santa.
We drew names yesterday for Extremely Public Santa. Not even close to Secret Santa. Eddie was upset because me and Ashley swapped. We did Yankee swap. Mike was very upset that he drew my name. Well, I got you last year, and you're not an easy person to buy for. Well, you are if you're Eddie. Eddie can get you a million things and nail them all. I already know what I'm going to get her. So me and... Me and Ashley swap names. I love shopping for Skye. And I got... Thank you, Ash. I got Zeth. What up? Oh, lucky you. Eddie, who'd you get? I have Shawnee. Skye? I have Ash. Rob? I got you. And Zeth? I got Eddie. There it is. Macaroni card. Eddie gets a card made out of macaroni. Sean's got me. Yes. Okay. New video games. ACDC Live Rock Band. Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Madagascar Escape to Africa, Xbox 360, PS2, PS3, and the Wii, NHL 09, PS2. Oh, gosh. I'm going to mess this up. I do every week. I say just go for it. Spell it. I'll help you out. Naruto. That was awesome. Save it.
Say that, please. Get after it. I tried my best, man. I tried my best for you. Ultimate Ninja Storm, PS3, Resistance 2, PS3, Gears of War 2. Oh, that looks real good, too. Xbox 360, Tom Clancy's End of War, Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Secret Service, Xbox 360, PS2, Dragon Ball Z, Infinite World, PS2, Legendary, Xbox 360. Okay, there we go, video games. There were a lot of those today. New music out today. We have Hinder, Take It to the Limit. You know people really into music get what's going on there with the Hinder deal? Do people, do you get what the formula is with Hinder? Nickelback. What do you mean? The formula that Hinder's working with here. They're doing a retro 80s hits. Like rock 80s hits. Now that you say that, I heard that. And it's real smart. I mean, you know. So, like, for sure, you know, for a fact, like, that's what they're doing? Yeah. Oh, really? They're doing a retro rock 80s ballad. You know, that's what their songs are. And it's a formula. And it works. That's awesome. Yeah, it works. I mean, it's the right timing and everything. Because, like, the second I heard that, I loved it. Yeah. What they do is, in the 80s, what they did was, in rock ballads, is they just, they had very, very,
memorable melodies. And a melody is just when you go, and you remember it in your head, that's a melody. They just do that. Your ear is just like hearing it in a pattern. It goes in a pattern. Your ears hear it and go, yeah, I like that. I can sing along with that. And it's a real powery 80s. They're probably going to be... super, you know, successful with that. And it'll probably spawn a bunch of, you know, like, yeah, because it's going to get, that'll become a popular thing. Who else? Also, today we have Q-Tip with Renaissance. Hip stuff. Ashley, Q-Tip, thumbs up, thumbs down. That, that sounds cool. Like, I only knew that one vibrant thing that he came out with. Oh, he used to be in Tribe Called Quest. Really? Yeah, man. Getting hot in here. So hot.
So I'll take off all your clothes. Wouldn't know any of that. Oh, you've got to get a tribe call question. All right. Get some of this stuff, dude. Also out today, we have the soundtrack to Twilight, which features Muse, Linkin Park, Mute Math, Perry Farrell, Collective Soul, Rob Patterson, and others. I like Mute Math. We play Mute Math on the Mikey Show coming in and out of commercials. Yeah. Okay, what do I have from them? Which one do I have? Do I have any? You have Paramore. Is that a girl? Can't do it. I can't play with them, the girls. Can't do it. Can't do it. No way. Hate to break it to her, but there's only one Amy Lee. There's only one Evanescence. Don't like girls leading rock bands. It does not scream. Can't do it. Doesn't scream like the whole vibe of rock and roll, which is like, you know, very masculine. Cannot play with them.
Yeah, for sure, for sure. No doubt about it. Can't play with them. Cannot play with them. Cannot play with them. One exception, Evanescence. Because she sings like a girl, at least. Like, she's not trying to be a guy. Well, she has just an awesome voice. Yeah, but she's not trying to be all guy-ish, you know? Thank you. But how can you, you know, like, imagine being a dude. You go to the concert, and you're standing there in front of the stage, and there's a girl up there singing, and you're, like, trying to, like, be... Can't do it. tough rock vibe. Before you know it, the whole audience is synced up. Can't do it. All right, calm down. All right, and then finally in music today, of course, you know, Christmas albums are starting to come out. Oh, yes. Harry Connick Jr. with What a Night, a Christmas album. Love it. Love this guy. I'm sure his former girlfriends hated it when he used to do this for them.
You know, when they were first dating and they'd come over to his place and he'd say, hey, sit down. I want to just put a little something together for you. It's probably a deal breaker. A deal breaker? Yeah. Talk to me. I was kidding. Thank you. Oh, wow. I thought you meant, like, seriously, that would be like, immediately my mind went to, that means he's doing it and has done that for too many other girls. No. Yeah, I think girls like that. Duh. What else? All right, new movies out today. Eddie has already announced. Get Smart. Oh! Steve Carell. That's out today. Oh, yeah. I heard it. Eddie was telling me. That's so awesome. I heard it from Sky. Gotta get it. I'm sure he did. Now, this is weird because this DVD is actually coming out on Saturday. Huh? Don't ask me why because all DVDs always come out on Tuesday. Why? That's crazy. I don't know.
Triple, quadruple check this because it makes no sense. But coming out on Saturday is Kung Fu Panda. Why? I don't know. But it's Tuesday. I don't know. Sky, I've got to ask you, why? That's crazy. I just have one question. Why? Okay. All right. Also out today, we have the Bourne Trilogy. I already have it. Well, this one has new featurettes and making of and blah, blah, blah. Also out today, Star Wars prequel trilogy. Again, has more featurettes and documentaries and stuff. You own that one? I own everything. Well, but it's only, I mean, it's being released today. I'm George Lucas. You went and bought it this morning? I made it. Okay. And then they have the Star Wars trilogy out. Out on Blu-ray today, we have A Christmas Story on Blu-ray. Oh, yeah, that's cool. Futurama, Bender's Game, Blu-ray. Get Smart also offered Blu-ray. Tenacious D, the complete Masterworks 2 Blu-ray and NBA Champions, Champions 2007 to 2008. TV shows to DVD, Fraggle Rock, the complete series. Nice. There you go. She's red. Okay. Jag, seventh season, Project Runway, fourth season, Shrek the Halls, Spin City, season one. Yeah.
Torian Dean in Love Season 2, WWE No Mercy 2008, NFL History of the New England Patriots, and Pride 2006 Total Elimination. There it is. Ladies and gentlemen, Boston Rob song to get you out and vote today. I needed this. You just asked the boo. The police officer outside your car is staring at you like you have two heads. Turns out, you do. You explain to the officer that the lobster costume you're wearing is a tribute to Rubio's for braving the cold blue waters off the coast of Chile to bring back succulent langostino lobster. Unfazed, the officer asks, why were you swerving? Tough to grip the wheel with claws, sir. He clicks his pen menacingly and starts writing. You continue to plead your case.
Honestly, who can resist the bold BeachMex flavor of a Rubio's burrito filled with decadent Langostino lobster, freshly made guacamole, and a creamy chipotle picante sauce? As you take the ticket with your pincher, the officer says, Son, it's a good thing Lobster BeachMex isn't expensive, because you're going to need a lot of fancy lawyering to get out of this one. Langostino lobster is back in tacos, burritos, and now a two-street taco plate for just $4.99, only at Rubio's. Let me tell you something. We got this new line open up for you called the P1 Answering Machine. 858-715-1923. Here's one of the calls we got. Is this thing on? Is this thing on? Hey, Mikey Show, I've got a wicked rattle in my truck. Prevents me from listening to the Mikey Show. You know, prevents me. Can Emco help me? Thanks, Mikey Show. P1 Tommy G. Yes, they can, Tommy G.
Why don't you take it in there? Listen, if you got a rattle in your car, you hear a rattle, or you get the check engine light to come on, don't waste any time. Take it to Amco. They're the world's best transmission place. If you got that check engine light on, go into Amco. They'll tell you why it's on for free. And if any additional diagnosis is required, just say to them, hey, I'm a P1. And then you'll get 10% off on all repairs. They do transmissions, oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, cooling systems. I take my family's vehicle there, and you should too. My neighbor, my brother, Amco's great. They're double A. Beep, beep. MCO. Why would you take it anywhere else? Now for a special report on Proposition 10, the Energy Independence and Clean Air Initiative. I have Dr.
Yes, on Proposition 10, a coalition of renewable energy and alternative fuel companies. Major funding by Clean Energy and Chesapeake Energy. That's still pretty tough on our freeway. It's because of this rain this morning, really causing a major backup on several freeways. South 15 still finding some reduced speeds and brake lights off and on out of Escondido. Down the Via Rancho Parkway, again through Carmel Mountain Ranch. The Coastal Ride South 5, a little bit slow still out of Encinitas towards Solana Beach. Northbound 163, there's an accident near University Blocking Lane, which has got you backed up through the park heading into Mission Valley. Plenty of traffic in the South 163 as well, coming out of Mission Valley through the park in the downtown. The Westbound 56, still slowing through Carmel Valley to the 5 connector. North 805, still quite heavy as well out of Kearney Mesa as you head up over the 52. Northbound 5, quite a mess coming past the airport. That continues through Old Town up into Mission Bay before you're back up to speed completely. This report is brought to you by Sleep Train Magic Centers. I'm Rick Lawrence on Rockwood 5.3. The Mikey Show continues with Mikey. I'm really, really impatient. I like to think of myself as particular. Sky. As we all know, like a deal. Sean. I don't like any of the major. Sports. Boston Rob. Bostonians are tight-knit people. And Ashley. Well, I'm actually like awake and like.
Mikey Show's on. Anyway. Rock 5-3. Back to you, Mike. It's the Mikey Show. It's 944. A Carlsbad man was arrested last night after he allegedly punched his elderly neighbors during a fight over a Prop 8-yard sign. Sorry, Padre fans, but no more Matt Vaskirchen. He's leaving the Padres' TV gig after seven years. Text message we just got. Mikey Show. Great show today. You guys have me laughing obscenely loud at my cube. That's P1's Sheena D. There it is. So, thank you, Sheena D. Our text number is 35253. Our phone number is 5701053. This is some old-time stuff, right? Some old-time stuff. I guess. Is this, like, from the 80s? No? 90s. 90s? Yep. Who is that, Seth? Who is that? Who is it? Tribe Called Quest. Oh, Tribe Called Quest. Oh. I thought that was a Cherry Hill game.
Here we go. Yo. Let's see. In an interview with MTV, Barack Obama is asked about laws banning saggy pants. Nice. You know, there are laws like that. Yeah. In different places, especially small towns. Or schools, not like laws. Yeah, schools, right? Oh, no. I thought they made ordinances in some places. Like, if your pants sag to a point where you can, like, see your underwear, they can write you a ticket. Later, Zeth. That's right. Seth would be doing time. Cut 11. Our next question comes from Eric out of Huntington Beach, California. There are numerous cultures and subcultures in the United States today. Powers that be set statutes with monetary penalty on how people wear their clothes. Do you find it intrusive on civil liberties to create such ordinances? Eric in particular is talking about a stance on sagging pants. I mean, do you feel like people should be penalized? Well, here's my attitude.
You know, I think passing a law about people wearing sagging pants is a waste of time. We should be focused on creating jobs, improving our schools, getting health care, dealing with the war in Iraq. Having said that, brothers should pull up their pants. Just pull up their pants. You know, you're walking by your mother, your grandmother, and your underwear is showing. What's wrong with that? Come on. You know, a lot of people may not want to see your underwear. I'm one of them. Well, I don't. Appreciate that, Mr. Obama. Oh, no. Because I kind of like the way I roll, you know? So I'm not supposed to be getting my groove on if you ain't going to let me get my groove out. I thought you was down, man. What's up? What's up, dude? I thought you was all that, dude. You tripping, boo. Boo. Let's see. Usher says he's going to TP John McCain's house. Oh, that's what? Sure. Cut 13. For you to stand up and allow your wish to be heard. We spoke with Usher on opening night of his Ladies Only Tour. For more dates, click on to usherworld.com. I'll do that. Ask for the Grammy winner's plans for E-Day. I'll be in D.C. and then after the show, we're going to have a good time. We're going to celebrate. All right, then we're going to, you know, T.P. McCain's house. Nah, just kidding. I'm joking. Just kidding.
I'll just play. Let's see. This is Ricky Jervis. I think he's funny. He's a British guy. He was on Letterman and he was doing the top 10 stupid things Americans say to Brits. Cut 18. Top 10 things, stupid things that Americans say to Brits. Here we go. You ready, Ricky? I'm ready. I'll read the number, then you read the entry, all right? Got it. Okay. Here we go. Number 10. Is it Halloween or are those your real teeth? Yeah. Number nine. Do you know the queen? I'd say that. Number eight. What language you speak in? I don't understand you. Number seven. Do you eat anything that doesn't come in pie form? Top ten stupid things Americans say to Brits. Number six. Seriously, are those your real teeth?
Number five. When are you coming to collect Posh and Becks? Number four. David Beckham. Are you speaking English? Because I've got no idea what you're saying. Wow, the writers really ran out of material. Number three. What do you mean, let's go and smoke a fag? There's a difference. There's a difference in the two languages. Number two. Okay. Say that one more time, but this time in American. All right. Number one thing, stupid things Americans say to Brits. Do you know what? England should do its own version of The Office. There you go. Good day, mate. Yeah, what about that? I was waiting for it. Don't they say that? That's weird. I want to know why I don't say that. I was waiting for it. Well, there's only one person that thinks that they say good day, mate. That is true. That is true.
You guys want to do this? Let's do it. Come on. Let's get somebody to come into the studio on Friday. If you can come in the studio on Friday, call right now for P1 Trivia. You could be in the studio with a backstage pass. We cater breakfast. We cater breakfast for you. You get a laminate that goes around your neck on a lanyard backstage pass. You get to hang out in the studio the entire show long. And all you have to do is answer trivia questions about The Mikey Show. Now, it's pretty cool the way that we break these up. We have one, two, and three-point questions about The Mikey Show. You only have to get to five points to win. So you can take one. Ones are easy. Threes are hard. Twos are right in the middle. So give us a call right now. And, again, all you have to do is be able to come into the show.
and hang out with us on Friday. You hang out in the studio. People really seem to like it. So the polls are open, right? People are able to go out there and vote now. Oh, yeah. Big time. Big time. They open, and they'll stay open until 8 o'clock tonight. Will we be able to sort of like, when will we get, I wonder when we'll start getting information back, where we can start watching the actual blue and red going back and forth and all that stuff. 4 o'clock, Eddie? 4 o'clock is when the national... Oh, look at me. You're giving the news to the news girl? Oh, I tell you about the Chargers next. Did you hear her mention? It's deteriorating. Zach Efron, what's this? Eddie's just handing her everything that he has. He's putting every magazine in front of her. Stop it. But did you see Zach Efron? Look how hot he is. Okay, all right. Same at Weekly. What up?
So it starts at 4 Eastern. Is that correct? No. No? The polls close at 8. Yeah. And so once the polls close, they can start giving us results. We are on the West Coast. We'll start seeing the East Coast results first. Five. But we won't see local stuff until 8 when the polls close. I don't know why, but I thought for some reason that they start kind of like... telling you early just what's going on now, and they keep doing it. Yeah, they do exit polls throughout. So we'll see that. So they ask people as they come out, who'd you vote for? Yeah. Do you guys think that we will know who the president is by tomorrow morning, or will there still be a, like, it'll be so close that they're still trying to tabulate it? I think we'll know by, Eight, nine o'clock tonight. Our time. Yeah. Wow. Now, my prediction was that it wasn't even going to be close. Well, yeah. I mean. Now, the polls are saying opposite. Polls are saying it's super close. Like, it's right there, blah, blah, blah. I hear that. Then I hear, no, Obama's, you know, running away with it. B-O. According to AOL's poll yesterday. Shut up with this poll. Why can't I say anything right here? Go ahead. Go ahead.
Well, we were arguing about this in the office yesterday. AOL had a poll, and McCain was winning by 57%. Really? Yeah. Wow. Yeah, but I voted on that same AOL poll, and I've checked it over the past few months, and it always has McCain winning, even though every other poll in the country shows Obama winning. For some reason, this AOL one always has McCain winning. Every other poll. I checked every single one in the world. Really? Yep. And they all came back and said? Obama. Really? Yep. Every single one. That's pretty compelling information. Yeah. I can't really deny that. I do a lot of research. I was right about to get discouraged. I spend all my free time researching. I was going to get discouraged and then she came and threw that one on me. Yeah. Not much I can do. Nope. P1 Chex Mix? How are you? I love your brand. Chex Mix. So good. Chex Mix. How old are you? Food, whatever. You knew what it meant. How old are you? 24. How long are you listening? About three years now. How long are you listening? Okay. Well said. Let's get your competition on the line here. Great. Let's see. You're going to be going up against P1 Mike. Wow. What's going on, guys? Not too much. Mike, how old are you? 31. And how long have you been listening? About a couple of years now. Two years?
No, about a couple. About maybe three. Three years. Cool. We got a pretty even match here between Chucks Mix and Mike. Mike, you go first. And what do you want? A one, two, or three-point question? I guess I'll use Sky's tactic and go with the number two. You're going to go two. Love it. All right. Your two-point question is, what fruit was mentioned during the 28-hour show that's now referenced all the time on the show? Oh, man. That would be? That's very lemon. P1 Chex Mix. Would you like a one, a two, or a three-pointer? I want to go with a one. You want a one-pointer. Playing it real safe. Super safe. Who won the Eddie B. Rob Olympic Challenge? Eddie. That's incorrect.
I didn't? No. You would assume I did. One would assume. Come on. You would think that you won, but you did not. Was I there? I won my two events. How can you not remember? B-Rob won. I was dressed as Robin Hood. I was really sick that day. Yeah, I don't think I showed up. Right. P1, Mike. I will go for number two again. Number two? Who recently saw the movie The Sixth Sense for the first time? I would have to say Ashley. That's incorrect. It was actually B-Rob that saw The Sixth Sense recently, which is ridiculous. I don't know how... It's embarrassing. I mean, come on. It's embarrassing, yeah. Jimmy Stewart's in it, for crying out loud. That's right. A P1 Chex Mix. Yeah. What do you want? One, two, or three? Let's do it at two. You got it. Who on the show just turned 31 years old? Guy. That is correct. There we go. There we go. Put her on the board. Finally. Chuck's Mix on the board. She only needs three more, and she wins. P1 Mike. I'll have to go number two again. Another two. Come on, Mike. Mike, who on the show is newly single? Newly single, that would be Ashley. That is correct. Oh. We got a tied game. What's up? We got a tied game here, folks. Chuck's Mix. Three. You want to close it out. That a girl. Nice.
I like it. Makes me nervous. Which Hawaiian island has Mikey said he would like to retire in? Hawaii. Sorry? That is incorrect. My favorite island in the Hawaiian islands is the island. No, it is not the big island. Peru. No, it's not Peru. Cuba. It's not the Peruvian island. It's not Cuba. Haiti. No, it's not Haiti. The Bahamas. No, it's not the Bahamas either. It's actually the island of... England. Iceland. Okay. It's neither of those. Ireland. Greenland. Scotland. Arkansas. Okay. Lake Havasu. The letter W. It's Maui. It's just that. It's just that. Darn it. Be my mic. I was way off. What do you want? Number two again. I want another two. Name one other person on the show that is on the pregame show with Eddie. That would be... I'm drawing a blank. It'd be... I'm sorry. I'm drawing a blank on that one. Sorry, brother. Rough batch today. Rough batch. Lou Bush, Jim Laslavik, although Lou's not on the show anymore. I would have accepted Lou because a lot of people don't know. But now it's... Who is it? Robert Griffin. Robert Griffin. Sorry about that.
If you want Chex Mix. I don't know. I don't know this guy over here. You don't know about this guy, right? Yeah, it might go on forever if he keeps on with the two. I know it. You're going to take a three? Yeah. All right. If there's another one. Yep, you got one. Oh, my gosh. Who does the show lovingly refer to as? Skinnerd. Isn't that one of the old bosses or something? Oh, no, it is not. We actually refer to Skye's mom. Oh, yeah, that one. That is right. That is right. We refer to Skye's mom as Skinnerd. Sorry about that. Mike? Go for the three. I know I'm bombing hard on these two-pointers. I'm going to go for one of those again. Your two-point question is...
How old is my son, Jake? Come on. He is two years old. That is correct. Oh, my gosh. He's only one point away. Oh, please hurry. So what are you going to do here? Are you going to try to close it out, Chex Mix, or do you want another two? That's what I've been trying to do. I've got to keep going for it. You want to try it again? Yeah. Try it again with a three-pointer. All right, your three-point question is, what is the name of the game where members of The Mikey Show act out scenes from movies? This is a new game. We act out scenes from movies. I don't know. It has the word play in it. Something role play. I don't know. Dungeons and Dragons. Role play. Is it D&D? That's incorrect. It's not role play. It's not role play. We're burning through every question we have. Sim City? I know. Sim City is the worst. Warcraft. This is like the worst. It's Mikey Peace Theater.
It's Mikey P's theater. Ever heard of it? P1 Mike, you need only get a one pointer to win. Come on, dude. I will go for the one. Your one point question is, who on the show is a tomato gardener? That would be you, Mikey. That would be Corrine. All right. Pip it. Hooray. Pip it. Come on, Pip it. Pip it. All right. As the election results roll in, the only network with brand new episodes is The CW. First, on 90210, a girl's night in. It's about ice cream and cookie dough and face masks. Turns into a complete blowout. We're on the street is there's a party going on. Sure you don't want another one? Cheers. I have never had sex before. What are you waiting for? I'm up here now, though. What's going on? This is my show. Yeah? What's up, B-Rob? What do we got on your show today? Oh, man. What's on the docket? Well, I just fired Sean from not being there. Finally. Finally, somebody has a guess to do that. He's canned. Sky, your sound effects. You have to do them with your mouth. That's what she said. Let's see. Sean. Oh, there he is. Let's see. Did he say we were going to do anything when we came back? So this open board? Open board. I haven't put anything on the board yet, so it's an open board. Jeez. Let's see what we got for audio. There was something great that happened. Just say a number. Cut. 34. Hello. I'm Senator Joe Biden. I hope you're enjoying Saturday Night Live's presidential bash. I know I am. But I'm here to talk about something very serious. And I want you to listen to me. And remember that you heard it here tonight. Mark my words. Barack Obama will become the next president of the United States. And as sure as he does, during the first six months of his presidency, he will face a crisis. I guarantee it. And I'll tell you something else.
The cause of that crisis will be me running my mouth. You can count on it because I'm a one man gaff factory right here. And I just can't help it. I wish I could, but I can't. That you can take to the bank. There it is. Who plays Biden? What's that dude's name? Yeah, what is his name? Will Ferrell. Dan Aykroyd. Dan Aykroyd, yeah. Sherry O'Terry. I heard it was Sherry O'Terry. Let's see. How dare you? Bachelorette Deanna Papas. Oh, yes. Papas. What about her? Her and the dude she picked broke up. Really? What a surprise! What a surprise. Did you see the finale? That little midget she didn't end up with, really. No, the snowboarder. Yeah, he's a midget. They were so in love. Jesse or whatever. Hey, what's the deal? Dude. Gosh. The dude she picked was just opposite of everything that was there. He was really short. He was a snowboarder. And everything that she wasn't attracted to, that's why she picked him.
Because all the other guys she picked that were kind of the same. Oh, yeah. You know, she totally went the opposite route. This is all ringing a bell. Brutal. But they were so in love. Like the finale. No, they weren't. Oh, my gosh. It's a fake. Oh, my gosh, Mike. I seriously was like so, like, I just believed in love again. My wife is probably really upset because Rebecca. I hated that guy. I thought they were going to make it for sure. No way. And this sounds. Yeah. This sounds icky. No chance. Okay. Listen. I didn't watch, but Chris... You should have watched. It was good, Scott. They were so in love. It was the most dramatic rose ceremony yet. Yeah. Well, okay, so I didn't watch, but Chris... You're a disaster. Okay. I don't know what that means. Can't do it. But Chris Harrison was asked about this yesterday, about the breakup. You know, he hosts The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and he says that Jesse was stunned. and that he talked to Jesse several times, and he didn't see it coming at all. He also said that Deanna jumped the gun and leaked the news to the press. They had agreed that they were going to issue a joint statement on Thursday, and she went ahead and started talking about it to the press and doing interviews. Why does anybody do that show? So they actually got engaged and married. She says she's donating her multi-carat engagement ring to charity.
So on the finale, did he get down on a knee and give a ring? He didn't really have to because he's so short, Mike. He did, Mike. She said yes. How did you tell? And then when they did the recap show, they were so happy and so in love. The other dude, the single dad, was way cooler. I disagree. Way better for her. I disagree. But she is such a... I disagree. Something. Rebecca loves the... I think she loved the snowboard guy. He's the worst. They had this chemistry. Nothing in common. Zero. Except for chemistry. Zero in common. Except for chemistry. They totally had that. And that's what you need to make love work. Wait, what? Whoa, hey. That's right. And they made it work. They did not make it work. Until now. They made it work until today. I can't believe that. It's like four months. You've got to have chemistry in common. Get my wife on the line. Let me see if she knows the news. Brutal. Yeah, don't tell her. Don't tell her.
Don't tell her what we're calling. Yeah, we want her to be crushed on the air. Well, I want to hear what it sounds like live. I want to hear that live on the air. I knew it. You knew it? I called it. Pull the tape. I'll pull it. Deanna Bapas. Bapas. You talking Bapas. You talking Bapas. Yeah, Beto. No one's talking to you. Nobody even said anything. It's all good, dude. No. Hey, Beto. Beto. Uncle Eddie. What? Can you buy me some more airplane glue? Are you still working on your models? Yeah, dude, I'm building another model. Okay, yeah, I absolutely can do that. Eddie, you know what he does with that. He builds models. No, he does not. I've never seen one, but I know he says he builds them. Uncle Eddie. Yeah, Beto.
I'm building a whole bunch, so I need 15. 15? Let me write this down. Eddie, don't fall for it. 15 tubes of airplane. Him and his friends huff that stuff. Hey, Uncle Eddie. Yeah? Gosh. Can you give me a couple cans of compressed air juice? A couple cans of... I'm not sure how that will help you build. Got to clean out my keyboard. Oh, okay. No problem. I can put this on my grocery list. Eddie, don't fall for it. Two cans of compressed air. He's a little trouble, man. Yeah, yeah. What's that, Beto? Can you get me some spray paint, dude? What do you need that for? Service projects for the community. Oh, that is really nice. A service project. How many do you need that, though? 14 cans of spray paint. Thank you, T.O. You got it. No problem. Let me guess. All in red? Is that what you want? All red? Yeah, I'm sure you do. That's my nephew, Beto. He doesn't understand really what's going on. I like that he's reaching out to the community. It's a good thing. Honey, did you hear what we were calling already? I think so. You did? Aren't you happy?
No. He's dad. Aren't you shocked? Isn't it tragic? You don't think she should have picked that single dad? No way. Why? He was so nice. They didn't have the chemistry. No, there were red flags all over him. Like what? Because he had a kid? Come on. Open your eyes. Open your eyes. Why, Rebecca? I need to know why. What were the flags? Well, he was a little too eager to please. He was a little too cartoonish in his enthusiasm. Too nice. And he also, when she turned him down at the end, instead of, you know... Jumping for joy. He got very angry, which I had kind of anticipated, because he's just too, like... There was just something up there. What did you like about the snowboarder? He just seemed really genuine, and he seemed, although he... didn't necessarily fit into the, you know, typical kind of, this is the guy that you'd want to bring home. He was himself. He was, like, really nervous. And, like, he had a good mix of, like, being real, being genuine, being nervous. And he's giving a thumbs down. Rebecca, honestly, didn't you feel like she purposefully went for the complete opposite of every guy she's ever liked?
I mean, it's possible, but I think she was very honest with her feelings. I don't think so. She made up feelings. I think she did. I really do. I really do. They didn't make it. They are now... Dunzo. They're Dunzoville. Yeah, her quote is, but after the show was over and we settled into our normal lives, I slowly came to realize that we are two totally different people and it wasn't going to work out. Well, you guys, what is different between that one and every other episode except for Ryan and Trista? Every other episode, they all don't work out. I thought this one was different. Yeah, right. They never work out. Thank you, honey. I thought this one was different, too. It's really disappointing. I'm sorry, Rebecca. For the record, I didn't think this one was different. Mike! Never saw an episode. It was the same. Is Rebecca playing the xylophone? Yes, she is. Is that his new Elmo piano? No, it's just his other little piano, his little purple piano. Dude, you guys would trip out. Jake does, we do tone together, so I'll go like...
I have him sing, like, words. Like, I'll go, Jake, sing, mommy. And he'll go, mommy. And I'll go, sing, mommy. Do you want to do it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, hold on. You want to talk to daddy? Jake, sing, mommy. Say, hi, daddy. Hi, babe. Hi, Bubba. Sing, mommy. Now sing, mommy. I love you, Bubba. Did he say peace out? Yeah. Yeah, and he kissed his fingers. Oh. Nice. Do the peace out. What love. Bubba, are you still there, Bub? Yeah, I'm here. Oh, okay. That's not bad. Yeah, we're going to go. We've got to go to the grocery store. All right, I love you. Love you. Bye. Bye. That's funny. Oh, my gosh. I have all this stuff on my computer that I just haven't edited. That's him just doing, like, saying spaghet. Yes. Come on. Get that on. Yeah, him saying spaghet and saying, like, all that stuff.
That's so great. We're done. We're done. Yeah, we are. We like ran out. 570-1053 is our number. Give us a call. 570-1053. Open phones beginning and end of every show. We let you call in about whatever you want. Tomorrow we're going to do Lyrical Gangsta. More cool prizes tomorrow. And I got a crazy email from a girl who canceled her date with somebody for a... Crazy reason. Nice. Crazy reason. So that's tomorrow. We're going to have a new president tomorrow. Oh, my gosh. Wow. You're going to wake up tomorrow morning and there'll be a new president. That's so crazy. Weird. You know, I kind of think they take too long in terms of, you know, January is when it's going to happen, you know? Like, I think if the election happens today, like... I think it should be like a three-week process. I think that's a lot, three weeks. Like a two-week process. Like I think they should have been gearing up for this, you know. You know Bush is going to leave the White House in shambles. He's going to throw a razor. Dude. You know those restaurants slash bars that you go into and there's peanut shells all over the floor? It's going to look like that inside the White House. Like his old smash shack. Yes.
Exactly. P1 Notre Dame's on the line. Hey, what's up? I want to give a shout-out to my buddy P1 Roger, who has his eye tattoo on the work tattoo. Oh, right on. Four-year-old that drew it. Right on. Oh, is he the one that looks like the scribble? Yes, he's the one that's leading right now. That's the one Sky voted for, the scribble one. And you said his kid did it? No, no, no. It looks like a kid did it. Actually, what happened is a couple guys got drunk and they decided to use a tattoo gun. Shut up. He let drunk guys? Oh, they were all drunk. Oh, wow. Party, right? Yeah, must have seemed hilarious the next day. It's worse than it really looked like on, because it's faded with the skin and everything like that. Yeah, for sure. You're smart. Let's see. P1 Matt. as a match. What's up, Matt? Do you ever wake up in the morning and look at yourself in the mirror and go, man, I am Mikey from The Mikey Show. That is the weirdest question I have ever been asked. Let me tell you something, dude.
I am going to be so honest with you. All right. Be honest. Are you ready? I'm ready. No. All right. Thank you, bro. I appreciate your time. You're very, very welcome. Weird Rob does, though. Yeah, I always do. Yep. Wow. Mikey. No. That was like, wow. That was weird. That was really crazy. P1 Amber. Hello? Hi. Amber's the color of your energy. What is that? What is that? 311. Well, it's the I Love Unlimited guy, and he... He came in and sang that? Yeah, and he's over the I Love Unlimited thing, and he's now onto three 311 songs. Hey, I Love Unlimited guy, what's up? How come you changed it? Amber's the color of your energy. Hey, I Love Unlimited guy, are you just totally into 311? I love 311. That's what it is. That's what it is. Wow. This is Amber? Yeah. Hi, Amber. What's going on? I just moved back here from Tahoe like a week ago, and I just wanted to call and let you guys know how much I missed you guys. That's cool. For Christmas, all I wanted was your Best Of album. Hey. Right on. Hey, you ever go to that Zephyr Cove restaurant? No, not yet.
I'm poor. Zephyr Cove. What is Zephyr Cove restaurant? Tahoe, bro. There you go. Hey, you ever go to Dart Liquor? Nope. You didn't live in Tahoe, man. Eddie's a Tahoe guy. He goes there with his family. You ever go to Bill's? I think so. She's legit. All right. She's legit. All right. You can stay on the phone. We just had to make sure that you were really from Tahoe. All right. Amber, we're glad that you're back. All right. Thank you. North Shore. Yeah. Is this the big Rob show? Hello. Yes. Yes. Would you like to request something from the Rob show? Like a high schooler. Mikey should. Everybody's voting right now. He did that on purpose. He did that on purpose. Yeah, he did. He totally did. Told me. I'll reach right through his phone right now. Uh-oh. It's raining on your face off. Easy, guys. Wow. Mikey Show. Yeah, I just wanted to say, no matter what happens in the debate, presidential election, I'm cool without regard because my vote doesn't really count. All right. Appreciate it. America. Ladies and gentlemen, the nation of Cuba just called. Hey, when Kelly's on the line, he's British. You there? Yeah, I am. Oh, she's British.
Hi. Hi, Kelly. How are you? I'm good. What are you up to? Nothing much. What were you calling in about? I'm just thanking the Lord that the election's finished tomorrow. You're really tired of seeing all the political commercials? Yes. I'm sick and tired of adverts. Of adverts? Yep. Commercials? I'm sick of the adverts, too. Yep. Commercials. Where are you from? I'm from London. Let's go smoke a fag. So they call cigarettes fags. Well, thank you for calling. Thank you. You don't know what that was. You sounded like the keyboard player for Culture Club. Oh, a cigarette? That's right. You. What? Lovely and talented Missy's up next. I just got it. Today on the Nooner. I'll request lunch. You know what's great on voting day? Rain. Heavy rain. Oh, yeah.
