Mikey, Skye, Sean, Ashley, and Boston Rob moved between prepared comedy and long arguments, with Flounder's 'B-Rob Talks' parody mocking Rob's quietness and Ashley's 'War of the Curls' winning Reality Bites. Mikey and Skye sparred over women's tattoos, à la carte cable, and whether apparent ghosts are demons or possibly benevolent spirits, while the group later split over conventional medicine versus echinacea, tea, and vitamins. The crew ridiculed Tom Cruise's psychiatric-drug claims, private sonogram machine, and 'silent birth,' while Missy argued that Katie Holmes seemed afraid of him. Mikey also admitted relapsing to two or three cigarettes a day because Rebecca was smoking again, and the show closed with celebrity-birthday punches for Boston Rob and a Lost debate over Jack versus Sawyer.
What happened, in order
The tattoo line
Caller Johnny, Mikey, and Skye argued over whether sleeve tattoos make women less attractive and whether the real issue is the artwork, its location, or gendered expectations.
Cable by the channel
Mikey and Skye debated an à la carte cable proposal, weighing lower bills for viewers against the likely disappearance of little-watched channels.
B-Rob Talks
After Boston Rob admitted that bad timing and low confidence keep him quiet on air, the crew played Flounder's elaborate parody song mocking his silence, accent, dreadlocks, and breakfast runs.
Reality Bites
Skye read three deliberately outrageous reality-show pitches written by Mikey, Sean, and Ashley, and Ashley's body-hair contest 'War of the Curls' won the audience vote.
Borat answers Kazakhstan
The crew explained Kazakhstan's threatened lawsuit over Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat character and laughed as Borat's mock response doubled down on the country's supposed backwardness.
Tom Cruise under fire
Mikey, Skye, Sean, and Missy dissected Tom Cruise's claims about psychiatric drugs, Katie Holmes, their private sonogram machine, and Scientology's 'silent birth,' with Missy arguing that Holmes appeared frightened of hi
Ghosts, angels, or demons
After Iraq veteran Jordan described alarms, magnets, and a stereo behaving by themselves, Mikey and callers debated whether ghosts are demons, protective angels, dead relatives, or simple malfunctions.
The singing flight attendant
A discussion of airport rules turned into Mikey's furious complaint that jokey Southwest flight attendants and chatty pilots interrupted Lost on his iPod, while Ashley defended their attempts to entertain passengers.
Mikey starts smoking again
Mikey admitted he had relapsed to two or three cigarettes a day because Rebecca was smoking again and said his plan was for the couple to quit together, possibly with hypnosis.
Medicine versus herbs
Boston Rob and Ashley defended avoiding painkillers and relying on tea, vitamins, and echinacea, while Mikey argued that effective medicine is not suspicious merely because it changes how the body feels.
Birthdays and body blows
During celebrity birthday guesses, Bobby Kernels filled in for Eddie by punching Boston Rob for wrong answers, including eight blows after Rob badly missed Dick Clark's age.
Jack versus Sawyer
The crew previewed 'What Kate Did' and split over Lost's love triangle, with Mikey and Ashley calling Jack humorless while Skye defended him as the island's burdened doctor and leader.

6.03. Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Poway's 49 right now. T.R. Santa's 55 degrees. Alright, welcome to the show, everybody. It's a Mikey program, and you are in San Diego, and you're in traffic, probably. And if you're not in traffic, you're probably just waking up, and you're trying to get in the shower, or you're trying to get ready for work. And you better because you need to make money to get people presents for Christmas. I hate to remind you that. It's just a reality. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 35 years old. I'll be 36 next May. And I've been married for less than a year. Got married in February. February 10th be my one-year anniversary. My wife's name is Rebecca.
Eddie is our producer and our sports guy. He is homesick today. Sky infected him with the virus. Excuse me. That's what he says. Bird flu. You gave him the bird flu. But I'm not sick. So how can I get someone sick if I am not sick? You had a turkey that had the flu in it. You're the host. I'm not the host. You're the host. You carried the disease and gave it to Eddie. Yes, you spat in an open sore and now look at him. Oh, Sean. He's in the hospital. Are you glad? He's not in the hospital, first of all. He was admitted last night. What? No, he wasn't. No, he's not in the hospital. That's a lie. He was in the hospital and then they let him out. All right. This guy's our news girl. She is... She is 28 years old. Skye, did you see the mailer we're going to be sending out? Yeah. You look very pretty on the cover of that sucker. Oh, well, thank you. I was thinking the opposite. Are you kidding me? Thank you. That is one of the prettiest pictures of you ever. Are you being serious? Yeah, dude. My eyes are like practically swollen shut because they're like so puffy. It's so weird how we see ourselves, man. Yeah, it's true. But all of you guys look great.
What picture is this? It's the one that we took a long time ago. It's the one that's on the website. When you first sign on the website, you know that picture of all of us? Right. But there's more to it, too. You haven't seen it, Ashley? There's some in the office. I thought I left one. You don't have a space in the office. You've got to have your own little space in there. But I never really go in there. Yeah, that's our space. I guess that's your office. This is my sanctuary. Yeah, that little studio there is your office. Totally, yeah. Sean is our sound effects guy. We've got to have you sign on to iVisit, Sean, because Eddie's the one that lets us talk to you. So Sky is trying to get her computer hooked up so we can talk to you. Sean's 35, knows everything there is to know about computers. He is our sound effects man. And he thinks like a serial killer. Boston Rob's 22. He's our stunt boy slash friend. He's our friend slash stunt boy. And he's 22, and you've got to love him. And Ashley's, no, I'm sorry, Boston Rob's now 23. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's right. He just had a birthday. Getting old. Ashley's 22. She's got blonde hair, and she's real cool. I like her. She does a lot of busy work for the show.
You know, I was thinking about it the other day. There's a lot of stuff that goes on to put this radio show on the air. I remember when I was doing nights years ago, and all I wanted in life was to do a morning show, and I wanted a bunch of people on it. But I never really thought about how much work is involved in having that be the case. And now, here it is. Welcome, everybody. Okay. Lost is on tonight, or is it? Yeah, yeah. What the? Today in the USA Today and the Life section, there's a whole bunch of crap about Lost. Oh, yeah. And Michelle Rodriguez, it says, Michelle Rodriguez, who plays new castaway Ana Lucia, sees Josh Holloway, the guy that plays Sawyer, as a brother. This is a quote from Michelle Rodriguez. I feel like pinning him down and farting in his face. Oh.
We have that kind of sibling energy. She disgusts me. Normally you have to pay like $150 for something like that. Okay, Sean. That's true. Do you see what I'm saying about Michelle Rodriguez? She's so foul. Stop it. I mean, I look at it. You know what? Every time I look at her, I already was thinking of farts. No. No, you're not. Seriously. I'm not kidding you. There is not a feminine thing about her to me. When I look at Michelle Rodriguez, I'm looking at a dude. A sweaty soccer player from Brazil. That's what I think of when I see Michelle Rodriguez. And she just helped. It's confirmed now. For shizzle. 5701053 is our phone number. You can call about anything you want to. Mikey Show.
Mikey, P1 Crash here. Hi. Hey, you said that, I'm confused, Michelle Rodriguez is Anna Lucia and she said that Sawyer's like a brother to her? No, no, no. Michelle Rodriguez, the actress, said this about Josh Holloway, the actor, not the character saying it about the characters. Oh, I got you now. She actually said it. He thought that the character, like Anna Lucia said that about... Sawyer? No, not in the show, dude. I'm talking in real life. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, the actress that plays them said that about the actor. So you're telling me the writers of Lost did not put in the script for Anna Lucia to say that she farts on Sawyer? That she liked to fart? Yeah, no. They didn't. They did not write that. They did not write that into the... They did not. Or did they? Thank you. Mikey Show. Hey, I have a question about Lost. Go ahead. Yeah, I met somebody who lives in Europe, and they said that they already seen the whole ending, The Lost. They already played the whole show over there. I was wondering if you heard anything about it or if she was just BSing me. Something about Canada does their week ahead or something. Yeah, we received a bunch of emails with clips from people who say that in Canada, they're like a few episodes ahead of us, and they were sending us trailers and stuff for the next episode.
I don't know. Is it a trick? All right. Did you, Ashley, did you load the Kip song? The Kip song? Yeah. The Kip song. Song. Song. Song. So cute. You can say things are getting pretty serious. I'm telling you, I'm going to lose my mind. Uh-oh. Oh. I'm not going to get mad at you. Listen, I'm not going to get mad at you, but I'm going to tell you this, Ashley. It might be time. Seriously, I'm not doing this to be a jerk. It's just prudent. It might be time for you to get here earlier. I should not be here earlier than you and I am every day. I shouldn't be. You should be here before me and making me look like a slacker. You should. The host of the show shouldn't be making you look like a slacker. So if you get here early, you'll see those things and then you'll be able to get them in there. I want to play that like pronto. I'll put it in right now. I forgot. All right. Load that up. It's so freaking funny. It's Kip from Napoleon Dynamite singing a song. It's just funny.
Later on, Flounder, the guy that does all of the production work for the Mikey Show. We got a guy on staff. All he does is stuff for the Mikey Show. How great is that? Awesome. He is good. That's right. Hey, he wrote a song making fun of Boston Rob. This is how good Flounder is. Making fun of me? Yeah. This is how good Flounder is. I can go to Flounder and I can go, dude, here's the idea. I just tell him, I swear, I told him. I go, here's the idea, Flounder. Write a song about B-Rob because he doesn't talk on the show. Nobody ever hears Boston Rob. Write something about that. I said, can you do it to Jesus Talks by Kanye West because I think that song is cool. Okay, so you know that song by Kanye? Yeah. All right, coming up in a little bit, I'm going to play you the song he wrote for B-Rob. You're not playing it now? No, no, no. I'll give you two seconds of it. Okay.
Yo, he's at war. He's at war with cleanism, Yankeeism. Most of all, he's at war with himself. Yeah, I'm going to play. Did they say cleanism? Awesome. I'm going to play you B-Rob Talks. Oh, that's awesome. A little bit later. Oh, I can't wait. I don't know about this. I do. Oh, yeah. I don't know. Hey, Sky. What up? You see this jacket I have? I like it. I did, too. I really like this jacket. It makes me feel like I'm somewhat of an adult. Yeah. Like I'm kind of a grown-up. Yeah. It's like a sports jacket blazer or something. It's your professor's jacket. Is it? Yeah, the professor? Yes. And? I don't know if it's the smell of the dry-cleaning stuff, but I don't like the way it smells. And every time I put it on, it bothers me. Can you smell it and tell me if I'm crazy? Okay. If it just smells like nothing, just tell me that. But don't do a bit and try to make me insecure. You know what it smells like to me? It smells like gasoline. What? It does. And that would be the cleaning stuff? What does it smell like to you? To me, it reminds me of like that stuff you use to get stains out of your carpet. Right. Like carpet cleaner. So, yeah, my first guess would definitely be the dry cleaner. Because it does. It does like have kind of a...
It really bothers me, man. Well, yeah, and I don't know how healthy that is either. I'm not concerned about anything of the health hazard because you know me. You don't give a risk. No, I put so much chemicals into myself, you know. By the way, I'm really, I'm wondering to talk about this. What? I was in Shauna's office yesterday. This is not a bit. Okay. And Genius walked in there, and I ignore him like I always do. I pretend that I am the stapler on her desk. Right, right. Uh-huh. When he walks in there. You are the lamp in the corner. Yes. I sit there, and I don't, like, nothing on my body moves, and I don't say a word. Uh-uh. And he went in there yesterday, and he is going on vacation to Honolulu. Ooh. I know. Well, whatever. Yeah. I mean, whatever, whatever. All right, all right. He said that he just happened to be looking online because he's looking for things to do there, right? Okay. Him and his wife are going there or whatever. Uh-huh. And he was just looking for things to do there. And guess who's in concert while he's there? I swear to God, this is not. Shut up. Shut up right now. I'm not doing it. Sky, I'm going to turn the microphones off. What did I just say when I turned the mics off? You said you were not doing a bit. I'm not.
Okay, continue, please. Who's in concert like I don't already know? Motley Crue. Oh, what a surprise. Oh, oh. And he probably just happened to get some backstage passes sent to him by the label. Do you know what Shauna said? Happened. Do you know what Shauna said? What? She said that he got a hold of Tommy Lee's email and that he has written Tommy Lee. And I'm like, you've got to be kidding me, man. It's so embarrassing for the station. Genius is... For those of you that are just listening, Genius is a manager upstairs. Dude. And he is... Man, he didn't get it. He's a dickhead. He's not, like, a rock guy. He doesn't have any... Like, he is in charge of all the radio stations. And the ones that he really likes are, like, the ones that make money. The ones that make a... ton of money because of like advertising. And a lot of those are like old people stations. Well, he likes a lot of the safe stations, the stations that will not say anything controversial, will not make waves, nothing like that. Yeah. So anyway, yeah, maybe later. I don't know that I even have the energy to get into that. And I swear to you, I'm telling you with my hand raised, like to my Christianity, I am telling you that what I just said is the truth. How can he walk into Shauna's office?
And say, oh, yeah, I booked this trip to Honolulu. And I just happened to like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like anyone believes him. Sky, I swear to you. I swear to you that that's the way that he did it. It was like, oh, yeah, I'm going to, you know, I'm going on vacation. And she goes, where are you going? He goes, to Hawaii. Oh, and I just, you know what? It's so funny. I happened to check online who was going to be there. And it was, you know, Motley Crue. Oh, oh, oh. And she just kind of smiled at him, you know, like, and you know what's going on in her head. Like, man, you're embarrassing us as a station, you know? Yeah. Like, because the managers of Motley Crue and the record company people are going to be like, why is this Clear Channel guy? Yeah. First of all, why is there a suit backstage is, like, question number one. And then question number two is... Why is this same suit backstage everywhere we go across the country? And is Tommy Lee not rolling his eyes at this point? Like, oh, no. And Tommy Lee, in his mind, in Tommy Lee's mind, it's like, you got to kiss this guy's ass. Yeah, this is business. It's business. Like, you got to be. But yet, this guy's, like, acting like it's not. Like, he's acting like we're all friends.
But if I weren't in a band, you know, I wouldn't, like, I'd have nothing to do with you, bro. Right. He's probably going to strain his eyes from rolling them so much. Yeah. Oh, man. His eyes are like a shark about to attack prey. They roll back in his head. Shark eyes. Yeah. Likey show. Hey, this is P1 Johnny. Hi, Johnny. I got to ask your opinion on something, man. It has to do with tattoos. Go ahead. Look. I was in PB yesterday. It was a beautiful, beautiful young woman. She's got tattoos all over her arms like sleaze. And I just, I don't know, man. Enough is enough. I do not enjoy tattoos on women in that fashion. It's just, you know, she was so beautiful. She could have been, you know, a supermodel. And it just, you remember Sesame Street, that song? One of these things just doesn't belong. Yeah, yeah.
I was in rehab. Let me tell you something. I was in rehab, and all the guys had a big crush on a girl that was in rehab. And she had one of her arms completely sleeved, and it was like a dragon and daggers and Chinese guys committing suicide. And it was a bunch of weird stuff all over her arm, right? Yeah. Really nice artwork and everything. And this girl looked like Betty Black. Is that her name, Sean? What's the pinup girl? Oh, I know who you're talking about. Betty Page. She looked like Betty Page. She looked like Betty Page. She was a beautiful girl. And I'm telling you, all the guys in rehab, man, they were all buzzing about this girl. Yeah. And I could not have found her any less attractive. And it's because of that. And listen, some guys are really into it. Some guys really dig it. But to me, it's doing something very masculine to a woman. Yeah, I think, you know what I think? Hang on. Let me, I want to. Finish explaining because Skye is squinting at me like she wishes that my head was on fire. True. I do like tattoos on women, Skye. I like tattoos like the one that you have is feminine. Like, I like tattoos on women that don't emasculate them.
Your tattoos don't emasculate you like the one that Ashley has on the small of her back. But these women that tattoo their arms. What defines that though? Arms. Well, so is it the location or is it what they're getting tattooed? Location, location, location. So a dragon on the lower back is okay, but a dragon on the arm is not okay. I wouldn't prefer a dragon, but. So it also then has something to do. So you would prefer a flower over a dragon. Yes, I would prefer something feminine. I would prefer a feminine tattoo like a dolphin. Here's tattoos that are okay for women. Dolphins, butterflies, unicorns, rainbows, and puppies. Those things. Now, this isn't me saying I think that this is right or wrong. I'm just telling you personal preference. I see a chick with a tattoo on her arm, and I think she should be playing tennis or professional golf as a woman. Or she should be in an arm wrestling tournament. Oh, okay. Or working a jackhammer in the middle of a street. Yes. Or wearing Doc Martens with a white wife beater. And Ben Davis khakis. Or rolling up a pack of Palmol cigarettes in her Fonzie white t-shirt. Fonzie. Or having slick back hair making out with another chick. Or coming out of a barber shop with her new crew cut. Okay.
What do you think, dude? I think that there's probably a large number of young women out there just waiting until they can turn 18 so they can do this. And I'd just like to say, wait five years, please. You've got beautiful young skin. Let us look at it. And then when you decide, you know, it's more conformativism nowadays than it is individuality. Tattoos are such a tough thing anyway. You really got to think about them. My brother is like 44 years old. No, he's got to be older than that. He's 44, 45 years old, and he wants to get a tattoo. And I told him, I said, Sam, wait a year. From the time you get it in your head you want one to the time you actually ink it, wait a year. And I'm telling you, because things just change. I love my tattoos. There ain't a tattoo on me except for maybe one that I would change. But you got to let it sink into your head that that's what you want to do. I'm saying wait five years. Yeah. I don't know. Five years seems a little... I mean, for a young girl, yeah, I don't blame you. I don't blame you.
All right, thank you. Well, it goes the same way. I mean, at least personally, you know, I see some men who are just tattooed and it's disgusting, you know, but then I see some tattoos that I think are sexy. So, you know, I don't think it's a men-woman thing. I think it's... What are my tattoos? The choice of your ink and the artwork and where you put it. I like your work. You do? Yeah. What if I just had found out that you didn't like my work? I would have really been hurt by you. Yeah. Well, I was a little skeptical. She could be lying. She could be, but I know her really well, and I was just studying her. I love the arm. To be honest, because I was there when you got that Mayan calendar put on your leg. Like, when you were getting that done, I was like, um. That's pretty weird. But once it was finished, it's nice. It doesn't really go with your other themes, kind of, but it's cool. I still got to finish my arm. I still got to finish sleeving my arms. I have a lot of tattoos. An awful lot of tattoos. A lot of people listen to the Mikey Show. I think you'd be surprised what's behind the mic. Short shaved head Mexican with a goatee. Sleeved. You're surprised at the mic behind the mic. Hey, Sky. How about you over there? Mikey Show. Uh-oh. Mikey Show. Yeah, turn your radio down if you're calling in, please.
I'm 20 and I have six. Where are they located? I have one on my ankle, one on the back of my neck, one on each shoulder blade, my small on my back, and one in my front area. Front area? I know what that means. What is the front area? Not you, Boston Rob. I'm asking this girl. Where is the front area, miss? Below your belly button to the left. Below your belly button to the left. Now, what is that tattoo? A small Chinese character. Now, what does it symbolize? AIDS. I'm sorry? It symbolizes an A. An A. AIDS? No, Sean. You wanted to somehow symbolize AIDS through a Chinese symbol. Now, does your name start with an A? Yes. Is it Anna? No, it's Ashley. Ashley. Well, there you go. Ashley, I approve. All right. I'm sure you were looking for that. Thank you. So you're cool with shoulder blades and... Yeah, if it's in the back and I don't see it. Back of the neck, hair goes over it. That's fine. All those things she said, that's fine. If you hide them, that's cool. You're cool with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like if you have one like in the back of your knee where when you sit down and bend your knees, you can never see it because it folds up in the skin. I'm fine with that too. What happens when you walk? Arm pits, that's good.
Nothing wrong with that. All right. Here's some of the stuff out there. Last night was that Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People thing. Did you see any of it, Skye? No, but I read about it this morning. What a sham. I got to start using my America Online Remind Me feature. That's the only way that I remember anything is if America Online sends me an email that says, hey, remember this? You know? I mean, practically to the point where it's like, put on deodorant. You know what I mean? Yep. Because I forgot about it last night, and when you said it this morning, I was irritated at myself. Yeah. I would have loved to have seen that. Barbara Walters talking to Kanye West. This is the audio we have, cut one. George Bush doesn't care about black people. Do you think what you said then you still feel today? I spoke from my heart, and I stand by my statement.
You know that people have said that you're arrogant or overly confident. Yeah, because my game is media press. So I'll say something I think is funny. And then they'll take it and take the joke out of it and just put the cocky statement. In media, they try to sensationalize things. And I don't think they have to do that for me because I'm entertaining as is. You don't have to add anything on. Just let me talk. It'll be entertaining enough. That's not overconfident. Yeah, as long as that's what you take it as. Oh, man. As long as that's what you take it as. I mean, you know what I mean? You've got to take Kanye as entertainment. Ego alert. Yeah, he's out there. But, I mean, if you believe what he says, but that's part of his shtick, you can get the phones. Get the phones. That's part of his schtick to be an egomaniac? Yeah, like the whole thing is like, hey, everything I say is entertainment, you know? Like he's Kanye West, the product, you know? I don't think you're getting any real guy out of him. I think it's all supposed to be like schtick. I don't know. So that, there's weird stuff in the paper today, man, like for real stuff. Sean, did you see this thing about how they're thinking about regulating cable? A la carte cable.
Did you see that? Yeah. So they're thinking about it. Congress is thinking about talking to the cable companies and forcing them to make cable available to us a la carte. In other words, like picture this. Picture you going on to a website that had every single cable channel that you get on it. And you could either click. or unclick on it. And if you click on it, you buy it. And if you don't, you don't get it. See, right now they offer it to us in bundles. So you get a bundle and you get a whole bunch of channels that you never watch. Because the truth is I watch about six channels and that's it. I've got every, I have the premium thing, right? Anytime I ever get cable, I always tell them I want everything that's available.
that I can view, I want it. So I have every Showtime, every Cinemax, every HBO, the movie channel, Encore, all of them. I never watch them, ever. In 365 days, maybe four of those days will be spent watching any of that programming. And that's either sports on HBO or some cool show on HBO that I'm into. And that's it. That's the big ones. Now talk about the Nickelodeon. Come on. Here's what I watch on television. The networks. So Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC. I watch those. Outside of that, I don't watch any UPN. I don't watch any WB. But I do watch the Food Network and ESPN. And that's about it. Food Net and ESPN. As soon as I come home and I sit down, 232. Or excuse me, 231 on my satellite dish.
That's the Food Network. And I'm either watching Paula Deen and her homemade cooking, or I'm watching Alton Brown teaching me science and food, or I'm watching... All of it is food to Giada De Laurentiis and her Italian stuff. Yeah. Tyler Florence, Food 911. Ooh, he's hot too. And that's it. And so the Congress is thinking about making it that way. Now, if they do make it that way, the only thing I can think is that the big ones survive and the rest of them go away. Yeah, do they go into the whole explanation as to why they do it that way? I think they think that we're getting bilked. That's kind of what I was reading. Yeah, but the reason why the cable companies and the satellite companies package the things the way they do is because some of those lesser watched channels simply would not survive. Without their, you know, without their adjoining channels. Right. And consumer advocate groups are coming out saying, that's okay if they don't survive. Because consumer advocate groups are looking after you and me saying, yeah, you shouldn't have to pay so much money. If you're not going to watch it, you shouldn't have to pay for it. And the cable companies do have some deals where they go, okay, well, you know, you pay 12 bucks a month and we give you...
This set of channels. Well, there's still ones I'm not watching. Right. So make it even cheaper. Because that's what every other product out there has to do. It either has to succeed or fail on its own, you know, based on consumer demand. What do you watch? So why should this be different? You watch the networks and then what? I watch the networks. I watch WB. I watch CNN. I watch Discovery Health. And then I do like Starz and Encore. Now, see, things like Discovery Health would be in jeopardy. Yeah. There are some things that I will watch super peripherally, like Bravo. I'm okay if I don't get it. I'm okay. I'm okay if they go away because nobody's supporting it. I'm okay with that. If my food network went away, I'd freak out. But I don't think FoodNet would. No, I don't think it would either. I'm telling you, I think FoodNet is real popular. Everybody likes food.
This is the deal. All those things that you just mentioned, Skye, how much do you think that that's worth a month? For what, the channels that I just watched? That you just named. God, it's so hard to know the way, you know, the way they charge us, but what do I think that's worth? Uh-huh. God, I don't know, maybe like 40 bucks a month. Wow. See, I think it's worth, I mean, you're asking me. Like, what is it worth to me, or what's a fair market price? What do you think is fair? Yeah, $40, I think, is a fair market price to get the networks and, like, you know, three specialty channels. What you heard me mention, ESPN, the big networks, and FoodNet, I'm willing to pay $10 a month for that? Yeah. I think that that's $10 a month. I don't know, maybe I'm really wrong, but I know I'm paying about 90 bucks a month. Right. Well, if you figure, like, most of the satellite networks, their base package is like, what, 100 channels? Something like that? Uh-huh. And the base price is 30 bucks? So, 30 to 100? I mean, you know, we're talking 50 cents a channel. Yeah. If you watch six channels, you should only pay $3. Yeah, I agree. Wow.
Let me tell you something, man. I never thought of it, like, in this life. Because, Skye, they're making a lot of money. Yeah, because this has never been, like, an option. Like, I pretty much, you know, concede to whenever I get into a new house or a new town or whatever, you're going to have to put down at least, like, $100 a month for cable. Right. All right, I'm going to play that B-Rob talk song. We got some news headlines. Really? Like, I was freaking out when I heard that Eddie wasn't going to be here, no sports, blah, blah, blah. It doesn't matter. And B-Rob comes in. I go, do you want to do sports? And he goes, I looked at USA Today and there's no real sports, Mike. There's nothing. I thought he was being a slacker. I did too. I go through it and I start going through our local paper. There's no real sports that are, nothing's going on. So I'm not going to, you know, give you a bunch of crap. So anyway, we'll be back. Live three. I'd be a lot better off if I would have studied more when I was growing up, you know. But you know where it all went wrong was the day they started the spelling bee. Because up until that day, I was an idiot, but nobody else knew, you know? And the spelling bee day, you know, popped up. All right, kids, up against a wall. It's time for public humiliation. Spell a word wrong, sit down in front of your friends. You know, that's great for little egos. Hey, look at me, I'm a moron. I wasn't even close. I was using numbers and stuff. That's why I admired that kid who spelled it wrong on purpose so he could sit down, you know? He knew he wasn't going to win, so why stand there for three hours?

Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Oceanside's 50 right now in Coronado. It's 59 degrees. There was some really weird revelations made by Jamie Foxx. You know, the dude that played Ray in the Ray Charles movie. He was in Stealth. Everybody knows Jamie Foxx, I guess. I don't know that I need to explain who Jamie Foxx is. I don't think so. And by the way, Bobby Kernels has an explanation about some of this. cable stuff we were talking about. Oh, Colonel. He did a little research project on it. I bet he did. So, I'm going to tell you about these weird comments that Jamie Foxx made right after we talked to Bobby Colonels. Are you there? Yeah. Hey, my brother wants you to format his computer, by the way. I mentioned that to you the other day. Oh, yeah. Yeah, no problem. Let's do it. Just let me know when. Okay, talk to me about this research project you did. Well, it was for a media...
like a mass media class that I had. And the research project is basically how much people watch TV because I kind of stopped watching TV last year and it just freed up a bunch of time. And so I just kind of wanted to see what other people, how much other people watched. And I found out that the average person, I did the survey, the average person in San Diego has like 70 plus channels on their cable. But the average person actually watches on a regular basis, about three to five of those. And so in the project, I basically kind of had this whole idea about the Oli Cart, you know, type system. And I even, like, proposed this huge thing of the payments of it. And it was going to be just basically, like, $10 for the first, like, kind of an initial first channel. Now, this is Bobby Kernel's proposal. This is it. This is it. And then it would be $5 for... Shut up, Boston Rob. How dare you? You know... This is what he did in school? He should be hitting on girls and going out and partying and going to cable. Excuse me, at least Colonels is adding to the show this morning. That's right. Unlike someone who doesn't even talk. That's right. They were proposing cable phones. Yeah, that's right, Boston Rob. At least Bobby Colonels has got some ideas and some thoughts here. All right, let's hear it. Go ahead, Bobby Colonels. What do you think we should do? And a lot of people are wondering, who has said...
Bobby Colonels. Bobby Colonels is an intern on the show. I swear to you, I'm telling you, one of these days, I'm going to be telling you. Oh, yeah, did you guys hear? Bobby Colonels is now heading up GM. Yeah. And I'm firing a bunch of people. That's right. Go ahead, Bobby Colonels. How much do you think it should cost? And wrap this up quickly. Okay, so it was going to be $10 for the first kind of premium, and then it would be $5. for the next like five or ten channels. And then each additional channel would be like a buck or two. There you go. And so what that would do is that it would get those channels that you guys are talking about that would just go away, like if no one wanted them. But it would make them like better for people because they wouldn't have to pay as much. Thank you, Bobby Colonel. People would be like, oh, let's get a couple of those channels that no one watches. Thank you. All right, that's it. That's all I need from you. Thank you, Bobby Colonel. Thank you. Quit looking so bored in there, Boston Rob, when he's telling his story. These little kids, they're so jealous of that girl. I know it. Ashley and Boston Rob are so jealous of Bobby Colonel's. I'm not jealous. He's got good ideas, you two. I'm a little jealous, but I got a better idea. What? It's like iTunes on your TV. How does it work?
Every time you watch a program, you got to pay for the program? Yeah. 99 cents a show. Brilliant. Exactly like iTunes. Well, yeah. Look at that. Problem solved. Let's wrap it up. Go on to the next one. But Colonel suggested a dollar for a month's worth of one whole channel, and you're saying a dollar a show? Yeah, right, you goofball, where you don't have to order it every time you watch it. No, you order it for the year. For the season. That's not what you just said. For the seasons. Yeah. Just like iTunes. Yeah. That's actually nothing like iTunes. But that's great, Boston Rob. You keep up those good ideas. I know. You're a genius at work. Oh, God. You guys, okay, so let me tell you. So this Jamie Foxx goes on Oprah, and listen to what he says. Cut 10. When I was on The Living Color, I would always tell King, I'd say, yo, I'm telling you, Oprah. That's my flavor. Really? Because you're a woman. You know, you're a woman. You have your body. And I'm from the South. I like it thick. He always hits on her every time he's on her show. I guess he's into Oprah. No, this is not a new thing. Every time I've seen him on Oprah. Because you're big on Oprah. You love Oprah. And I've seen Jamie Foxx on Oprah. How does she react to that? She's always just like very like.
Oh, ha, ha, ha, ha. I mean, she doesn't play into it. Really? Mm-hmm. But he literally hits, hits on her. Like, mm, Oprah. I think he's into her. Yeah. Every time. It's so funny because he's a handsome guy. Yeah, he is. Let me tell you something. This guy would, anything, would love to enjoy a Jamie Foxx or two. Yeah. I agree. A little sigh to Jamie Foxx. Some good stuff. Yeah, that's right. Oh, yeah. Pour me a little. A little extra chocolate on my dessert, thank you. What? I'm Sky. Because he is black. That's right. Did you know that there were rumors about Jamie Foxx and Oprah? Tell me. Cut 11. I set the record straight because, you know, I get asked all the time. Tell the people the truth. What's really going on? The truth is that I'm just waiting, you know, for you and Stedman to clear everything up. He's not kidding. Yeah! I bet he's not kidding at all. But the truth is, there was so many rumors that, like, there was rumors that you were, like, in my neighborhood. And I'm thinking, like, was he here? Was he here? But we got a thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's our thing? We have this thing. I don't know what it is, but we do have a thing. Is that where you've come from? We've both come from some of the same. You were raised by your grandmother. I was raised by my grandmother. The whole transition. This whole time he's staring at her breast. You know, everybody wants it.
But it really is something to deal with, isn't it? It is. It's a lot to deal with. And you're going, see, you're going, I see where you're going with what you think it is. I just cut more to that, you know, you're attractive, you're pretty, and at the same time you're successful, and I dig, you know, how you look. Thanks. He's like, hey, listen, you can make it whatever you want. I think you're hot. And he's not kidding. You know what? Oprah is more attractive. She used to look... I was going to say something the old Mikey would have said. I'm editing myself because I think that sometimes that's prudent. Yeah, probably shouldn't do that. Let me put it this way. Oprah prettier than Oprah used to be. Yes. Yeah, because you know how she's going on Letterman. My wife thinks she had a nose job, by the way. Really? Yeah, so you know how Oprah's going on Letterman tomorrow night. Which is a big deal. Yeah, it's a huge deal. So, you know, on Letterman, they've been talking about it and promoting it forever. So they were showing clips from the last time Oprah was on Letterman, like back in the late 80s. And I see what you're saying about much prettier neck. Oh, yes. Much, much more. I'll tell you, the most drastic change I see, you're going to think it's the body or whatever. No, it's from the neck up. Yeah.
From the neck up is the biggest changes in Oprah Winfrey. Right. She used to have hideous, like, Max Headroom hair. Oh, that hair was so bad. And now she's got these, like, pretty blonde locks that are painted black. True. Seriously. Yeah. It's like Nicole Kidman's haircut painted black. Yes. She does it all kinds of ways, yeah. Let me tell you something else about Jamie Foxx that maybe you didn't know. What? Did you know? that he had something very scandalous stolen from his home. Cut 12. I heard that just before the Oscars, some construction worker had been in your house and found photographs. Were you upset about that? Not really, because the photographs were, I guess, you know, nude photographs. But there was no animals involved. And I wasn't doing anything crazy. So the thing, and then, you know, nude, I'm comfortable. With how I look nude. Well, it's not a very honest answer. Nobody wants anything very personal stolen from their house. No. But maybe he is comfortable with himself nude. I am not. I am not either. I'm not comfortable with myself nude. I'm not comfortable with him nude. No. I am. When I am laying on my bed at night nude and my wife walks into the room, I throw a sheet over my private parts.
Because I'm ashamed at how they're not something to be proud of. And so I cover them up so that she can't see them. And she thinks that's funny. I can't even be nude in bed without a sheet on by myself. I cannot sleep because as soon as I close my eyes, I believe there's people who can see my junk. I love it. Really? Even if it's the hottest day of the year, If I'm nude, I'll have to have a blanket on me because I think people are watching me. Yeah. I don't even really, when nobody's home, I'm always nude, but I don't like it. I don't feel exactly comfortable. Now, my wife, my wife always sleeps in pajamas. Yeah. And I said to her, why do you do that? And she goes, because when I feel naked, when I'm naked. Thank you. Perfect. Perfect. Yeah. How about you, Ashley?
I completely, I feel the opposite. I, I really love, um, like being naked and I'm very comfortable with it, like in my own home and stuff. It's just like, I wonder if, if, if you were, if your body changed when you were older, I wonder if it would change. Cause man, for me, it's just that I know that I'm so hideous when I am naked and I feel hideous. You know, I look at it and I go, Oh, this is not pretty things. If I had Brad Pitt's body, are you kidding? I'd go get my mail that way. See, I don't know, because even when my body's been at its best, I still am, you know, because that's just who I am as a person. Right, right. That's what it is. Don't like to be uncovered. Right. Yeah, I love it. In the buff. I think more people should do it and feel comfortable with it. P1 Brandon is on the line. Are you there, Brandon? Brandon, are you there? Okay, time to... Punch Boston Rob right in the head. Oh, no. P1 Christian. Yes, this is P1 Christian. I had a comment about Oprah, how she looks so much better now. Well, I agree that she looks beautiful on TV now, but a couple months ago, she did a show where she spent a day with the Amish family, and she wasn't allowed to have any of the makeup or hairdressers or anything. You thought you were watching The Color Purple. It was horrible. I thought I was Color Purple all over again. I thought she was silly. That's right.
She looked horrible. Don't wake up nothing. That's right. All right, thank you. I've changed my opinions about Oprah. Really? Ooh, really. Yes, I do believe that Oprah is a good person. I believe that. I believe that she's a good person. I also believe that too many people have told her how wonderful she is and that she believes it. But don't you think she's earned it? Some of it. I believe that she's earned some of it. I do not believe that she has earned. Well, here's what she hasn't earned. Even if I were to have answered your question, Ashley, by saying yes, unequivocally, it still is not okay for her to buy into it. Right. Even if she's earned it. Even if it's earned. Because some of it is like, you know, I understand what Eddie is saying when he's saying that she has a little bit of a God syndrome. Yes. A little bit. I understand that. And maybe it's earned. But that doesn't mean you've got to have it. I agree with that. Know what I mean? Yeah, I do. Okay, we're late. Yeah, Ashley's filling in as producer today. She is taking that assistant producer thing to heart. Go, girl. She has given me the sign for break. I wish we could describe what that sign is to listeners. Eddie does the same sign, and Ashley knows that sign.
It's like you're taking a piece of PVC pipe in your hand and breaking it in half. Yeah, I envision a loaf of French bread. That's too big. Or a twig. You're breaking a twig in half. No, a twig's too small. It's PVC pipe. Hmm. But see, you can't really break it with your hands. Okay, we really need to break it. Let's take it. All right. We'll be back. What is it? Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Vista's 54. Right now in Point Loma, it's 59 degrees. All right, folks, welcome back. My name is Mike Esparza, but it was changed years ago for the radio to Mikey. And so now I just go by Mikey. Which, trust me, if I could change that, I would. I wouldn't go by Mikey. Hey, random thought. Did you hear the chick yesterday that won the $1,000 Rewind? Oh, it's so funny because you know how yesterday for the $1,000 Rewind, we played back that chick calling in, talking about how she was waking up in Boston Rob's bed and all this and that. And then we made fun of her. Yeah, and so Missy got the winner because it was during her show yesterday. And then I guess, you know, she asked the chick, oh, so, you know, would you want to wake up in B-Rob's bed? And she's like, hell no, that guy's a dirtbag. It's like, yeah, girl, you go. Hey, you win something, you lose something. That was awesome. Mostly winners, though. Oh, God. Boston Rob, let me ask you a question I want you to answer as honestly as you can, okay? You will face no reprisal from me by answering completely honest. Pretend you're sitting in a psychologist's chair. Well, I pretty much am when you ask questions. Let me ask you. Yes. Why is it?
that you do not talk very much on the air. Even though we've had many conversations where I've asked you to, something is still keeping you from doing it. What is it? I don't know. I don't feel I have the right timing. Sometimes when I go to talk, somebody else is jumping in. So I back off. And then I think that's it. Because B-Rob's funny. I'm not really, though. No, he is. You are. No, really, I'm not. Yeah. No, really. Come on, don't. Please. Nah. He really is, but he doesn't talk very often. And it has become a joke. So Flounder wrote a song about him. I can't believe he wrote a song about me. Me and him have been... Yo, he's at war. He's at war with clean-ism, Yankee-ism. Most of all, he's at war with himself.
We'll be right back. Not the chronic. Never put tonic. With the ladies with the rabies. Yeah, that's just signing. Now he's throwing out these threads up there on his dirt dome. And talking like Englishmen with Down syndrome. Say, hear ye, hear ye. I'll go get breakfast. The boy's life is an idol. The boy needs the Bible. But most of all, when he talks, the boy needs subtitles. And if Simon ever seen him on American Idol, he'd be like, D-Raw, you sound like such a fool. You should be like Billy Madison and go back to school. I know. Big Black Talks. Sure to be a hit. I think that'll be a big hit with a bullet. Every week, it'll be at a higher place on the charts than it was the week before. Maybe it won't crack the top 10, but it'll go higher than it was a week before. Well, maybe now with the song, it'll motivate B-Rob to talk finally. It was a little inspiring. Oh, good, B-Rob. You feel inspired? A little bit, you know. That's super.
Kanye singing to me? Well, um... All right, let's take a break. And then in a little while, B-Rob will do what he does absolutely best. He'll get breakfast for everybody. All right. Oh, man. You know what I'm going to do when we come back? What? We're going to play Reality Bites. Yes. But I'm also going to play you that Kip song. Yes. Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. Eddie does a kip from the petroleum dynamite imitation that kills me. We'll play that coming up. Hang on. Break it up. Kearney Mesa Toyota Scion is easy. Easy to work with. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. Well, the ride is slowly getting busier out here this morning. The shoreline ride on South Bond 5 has some scanner brake lights now out of Carlsbad from Cannon Road all the way down towards Lomas NFE Drive and Solana Beach. No surprise, South 15 is just pretty messed up in the 78 on down past the Via Rancho Parkway. We have an accident clearing westbound 78 just before Barham Drive, and that's why you're seeing some brake lights on the approach here. A little bit slow through San Marcos coming off the 15 in towards Barham. East County community looking pretty nice here for the most part here. The westbound 8 is starting to see up back up, though, from East Main Street up to 2nd Street. Slows again from spring out towards Lake Murray. One more time up to 8.05. And both the 5 and 8.05 northbound out of the South Bay. Pretty tough now already at Achilla Vista up to National City on both these freeways. 8.05 backing up again through North Park. Featuring Mikey. Anybody realize we tell dick jokes for a living? Eddie. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful. Sky. Shut up. Sean. I hate you. Boston Rob. Live life by the skin of my teeth. And Ashley. I'm a really grammatically correct person when it comes to yes, thank you. On Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show. Welcome back to it. It's 7-0-8. Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low-70s. At the airport, it's 59. Right now, in Carlsbad, it's 56 degrees. All right. I said I was going to play this, so I want to play this for you. I think that Kip character from Napoleon Dynamite is so freaking funny. And Eddie actually got this yesterday and sent it to me. Hey, guys. Yeah, you know Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. Am I if I spit some lyrics? All the world really needs is the little kip. Not a lot, baby girl, just the little kip. I can show you how to date with the little kip. You can find your soulmate with the little kip. You wanna grow a mustache with the little kip. Train for a cage match with the little kip. Wear some really high socks with the little kip. Dang, my whole style rocks with the little kip. And I'm coming out just stereo. I need a ride into town. Wanna give me a tow? But make sure we're back early, though. I got a chat room meeting about four or so.
My neck, my wrist, my ears is froze. Cause I made some sweet gula with Uncle Rico. You must have heard about how I roll. So step back, cause I'm getting a little T. And you know I love technology. But not as much as you, you see. When I sit on the couch, I turn it out. Not just with extra cheese. That's what I'm talking about. When you see me on the street, it's high fashion. Cause I rock a polo shirt like no one can. That's right, it's Kip. You thought it was 50? Let's see what happens when you come down here and try and hear me. All the world really needs is the little kip Not a lap baby girl, just a little kip I can show you how to date with the little kip You can find your soulmate with the little kip You wanna grow a mustache with the little kip Train for a cage match with the little kip Wear some really high socks with the little kip Take my whole style off with the little kip Peace out Suburban homeboy That's funny That's funny Is there a video that goes with it? I don't know. I want to see a video. I want to see it too. Come on. I wonder why I find his character so irresistible. I don't know, but you try and get Eddie to do the impression all the time. I know it. In situations, we'll be in the office, and I'll try to do anything to set him up to do it. Please do. Please imitate Kip. Or where you're just blatant and you go, God, I wonder what Kip would think about that.
We'll be at the urinal and I'll go, I wonder what Kip would say if he was urinating right now. And I'll go, dude, enough already. And I go, come on, dude. And I'll do Napoleon to try to induce it. Yeah. Hey, what are you thinking at the urinal right now? I'm not going to do it. Please. Do it. TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV. Friends on the Nike show. Shut up. They stand alone watching TV. But they're not digging with the show or no. Reality Bites. Yeah. Bites. All right, Reality Bites is cool. What we do is myself, Eddie, and Sean. We'll do these reality show ideas, and we give them to you, and then you vote on which one you like the best. Well, there's an integral part missing there, though, Mikey. I think I forgot to mention that Sky is really politically incorrect and says awful, horrible things when she reads them back. Exactly. What we do. And in some cases, completely rewriting all of them. Right, Sky?
No, that's actually the opposite of how it happens. You guys write them and send them to me. I am specifically told not to alter them in any way. And then I just read verbatim what is sent to me. But somehow they always come out changed. Well, it's not me. Well, Eddie is not here today. And so Ashley. This is awesome. Ashley has written them. Actually, I've read before I even allowed this. I read some of her stuff, and I think she's pretty funny. She actually wrote some funny stuff. Oh, yeah. Very impressed by this girl today. Very nice. She may not be the brightest star in the galaxy, but she's funny. And she wrote some funny stuff. That's crazy. So you get to pick who you want. P1 Angie, who would you like to hitch your horse to? I think I'm going to go Mikey today. All right, hang on, Angie. P1 Jason, who would you like? I think Sean. You got it. What about me? P1 Anthony, you got Ashley, okay? You're screwed. Sean. Do you want to know what they're playing for? Yes, what are they playing for, Ashley? Today we're going to do a pair of tickets to the Chargers versus the Raiders. And that's this Sunday. So they're going to get a pair of tickets today. Holy mackerel. Great prize. All right, what we do is we factor phone votes in with text votes. You can text us. I love the technology.
I love technology. Mark, are you okay? Not as much as the sky you see. Oh, okay. Always and forever. Okay, all right. Sing it, Kip. Get back to the game. Well, see, the technology of being able to text message is what has really taken Reality Bites to the next level. You know why, Sky? Why? Because I love technology. Oh, okay. All right. That's great. But not as much as the sky you see. Hey, no. No, we're not doing that right now. We're doing reality bites right now. That's what we're doing. Hey, it's very sweet. All right, so Boston Rob is our official young person on the show along with Ashley, and he will now describe to you how you kids and even some of you people that are up there in age, meaning in your 30s like me, can text or 40s or 50s, can text message us. Who you would like to vote for in Reality Bites. How does it work, Boston Rob? And don't mess it up. Nope. I fixed it. I got it this time. Thank you. So you're going to text 2. This is the number you're texting 2. It's Mvote. It's 68683. Okay. It's the number you're texting it to. And what you're going to text to us is what show. So you text the word show, S-H-O-W space 1.
Two or three. Got it. Whatever show you like to M vote. Because we're going to give you three show ideas. Yes. So you're going to text the word show space one, show space two, or show space three, whichever one you like. All right, Skye, give us show one. All right. Reality show idea number one is American dirt bag. I like it. American Idol goes disgusting as they search for America's biggest dirt bag. That's right. The show that brought you last year's winner, Boston Rob. We'll be looking once again to find a giant scumbag. Do you have what it takes to lie to girls just to get them into bed? Will you make yourself look as ugly as possible, even if you are a good-looking guy? How many VDs can you possibly spread in one night? That's true. Well, if this gross description describes you, then you too can be like Boston Rob and become the American Dirtbag. There you go. Don't forget, producer.
The officers will be looking up your police record, so you better have at least one DUI on it. So get Filthy America and become the American Dirtbag. There you go. There you go. Now, if you like that one, at the end of this, you can text us. You would text show space one because that's the first one. What's show two? Reality show number two is Darko Polo. Shattering the myth that black guys aren't good swimmers, it's Darko Polo. What? The game we all enjoyed as kids is back with a vengeance. Denzel, 50 Cent, and Chris Rock make up Team A. And Al Roker, Snoop Dogg, and that guy who played Benson make up Team B. The whole thing takes place at the Beverly Hills YMCA and sets water sports back 400 years. All winning proceeds go to FRO or the Free Ramsey Organization. That's right. All these hot black dudes coming together to free my black manservant, Ramsey.
And who are you? Whoa. I am Sky. That is Darko Polo. Oh, man. So if you like that one, show space two. Yes, you would text show space two if you like that one. To mvote. To mvote. All right. And reality show idea number three is War of the Curls. War of the Curls. Oh, man. Part reality show, part game show, and part peep show. It's War of the Curls. Oh, no. Five Earth Mama Granola Girls compete to see who can grow the most pubic hair. Oh, God, no. I didn't think you could hear. No. Ew. Watch each week as these razor haters fill their bagel hair with as much. crotch shavings as possible. Come on. If you like furry thighs and hairy chick pits, you'll love A War of the Curls.
It's nothing but wooly women and fuzzy females to satisfy your unshaven cravings. Yes, it's all the bushy babes and bewhiskered bitches your sick effing minds can handle. Oh, my God. If stubby sluts and... Fluffy fillies are your thing. Skye, did you just laugh? And be sure to catch these unshorn hair factories on War of the Curl. Oh, my God. Some decorum. Yes. Please. I'm only halfway done with this. No, you're not. Are you kidding me? What? As a final reminder, it's all super pubes, shag carpets, buckwheat headlocks, and downy groin pillows on War of the Curls. Just to make double sure you understand, we have 70s style crotch cuts, billowy strands of lady cotton, and thick-ass armpit dreadlocks. Get it?
Okay, we get it. Hosted by me, Sky. Because I have them all beaten in the hairy legs and shaggy underarms departments. So much so, it would be unfair for me to even compete. They would not stand a chance against my primate-like calves. Oh, my. Wait a minute. Skye, you're saying this right now on the air? Big puffy armpit thickets. Oh my gosh. I am super hairy and I don't shave at all. Wait a minute. This is a statement by me, Skye, because it's so unbelievably true. That is war of the curls. Now, Skye, why would you say these things on the radio? Well, because one of you jackasses wrote that whole entire monologue for me to read. Wait a second. I think there was some creative license taken there by someone in Skye. All right. Now, Skye, run down the reality show. Now, if you liked that one, now you can start texting us. If you liked the first one, you would text showspace1. So, American Dirtbag, showspace1. That's right. If you liked the second one, what is it, Skye?
Darko Polo. If you like Darko Polo, you would text SHOWSPACE2 to M-Vote. And if you liked... War of the Curls. War of the Curls, you would text SHOWSPACE3 to M-Vote. So, a quick recap. American Dirtbag is American Idol style looking for the biggest dirt bag. B-Rob, last year's winner, of course. Reality show number two, Darko Polo. Black guys in a swimming challenge. Yes. Very interesting. Yes. And reality show idea number three is War of the Curls, a show with women who don't like to shave. All right. Now, we are looking on the computer to all the text votes that are coming in right now. Right. And we are going to factor those in with ten phone calls. Are we ready? Yep. Mikey's show, which one do you want to vote for? Darko Poro. Hang on. Mikey's show, which one do you want to vote for? American Dirtbag. Mikey's show, which one do you want to vote for? Second one. Darko Polo. Darko Polo? Okay. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? Hairy Sky. It's called War of the Curls. War of the Curls is what it's called. For the record, I do shave. Thank you very much. There you go. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? War of the Curls. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? Darko Polo. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? War of the Curls. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? War of the Curls.
Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? War of the Curls, baby. How many, Sky? Well, we have our 10 votes, our 10 phone votes. Now we're going to factor those in with the text votes. Yeah, but I just have to get the data from the text votes here. We are tabulating. Tabulating. Yeah. Tabulating, tabulating. It's pretty cool, too, because we get so many. We get thousands of the text votes. Right. Our winner today is P1 Anthony. for picking Ashley and War of the Curls. I could not believe that when I read it. Yeah, you're telling me. Well, she's just going along with the style that has been written in the past. That's all she's doing. I got to make the competition good. Sky, come on. You know I shave, Ashley. Come on, Sky. It's okay. All right. We got to take a break. Just a joke. We've got to take a break. We'll be back. It's The Mikey Show. This man doesn't crawl. He stands tall. Tall, not, you know, literally. It's The Mikey Show on Rock 105.3.

Definitely some tough spots on our freeways here this morning. There's a bad accident involving several cars here blocking lanes westbound on the 54 South Bay Freeway just before Rio Drive. And that's why you're all backed up here even before Briar went to the accident scene. Both the 5805 northbound. Pretty tough here out of Chula Vista up to National City on both these freeways. The 805 continues slow here all the way up to North Park.
A very tough ride coming out of Mission Valley. Actually, there's an accident at North Eagle 5 at the 8 freeway, keeping it slow here. And then it remains slow here up towards Murray Ridge. Then again, coming out of... Go right over the 52, huh? The westbound 94 King Freeway, that's getting tougher now as you come out of Lemon Grove. From Massachusetts all the way to the 805, pretty solid with the slowdown there. Then again from 28th Street to the downtown. The westbound 8 is also pretty backed up here as well here. You've got a heavy ride from Severn Drive over the Grossmont Center Summit. That is slow and go in past Fletcher Parkway. Backs up again at Waring to the 805 Freeway. I'm Rick Lawrence on San Diego's Rock Station, Rock 1053. I remember that look like, what are they riding on? But it started a movement that just couldn't be stopped. The early days of snowboarding can never be duplicated. It's like rock and roll in the 50s. Now, the new motion picture tells the story of the snowboarding revolution through the eyes of five of the most influential boarders of all time. They're athletes now. They're not punks anymore.
Sean White, Nick Parada, Terry A. Hawkinson, Sean Farmer, Hannah Teeter. I think every day is going to be like the best day of my life. This December, Universal Pictures and MD Films invite you to go on a journey with the world's best. Holy shizzle. As they make history on the country's last untouched terrain. Unless you're fully prepared to be in a situation of life or death, you shouldn't be up here. First Descent, the story of the snowboarding revolution. Rated PG-13. Maybe inappropriate for children under 13. Starts Friday. Hey, look, it's the Mikey Show. Oh, no. Oh, no. Starring Mikey. I have a lot of insecurities. I wear my emotions in my sleeve. Eddie. Hardest working man in sports. Sky. I love you, Ramsey. Sean. How about I wash my fist in your face? And then you're nuts. Boss and Rob. I'm clever. I know I'm clever. And Ashley. Bend me over. Man, you ain't... The Mikey Show's on. Well, start talking. Rock 105.3. It's the Mikey Show. Welcome back. It's 7.30. Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Mission Valley's 51. Right now in OB, it's 55 degrees. All right. Phone line's always open. 570-1053. You want to call in? You know who Allie G is? Yeah. I've never seen the show, but I've heard it's really funny. I know Sean's really into it. Dude, it's hilarious. Yeah.
What is it, like a variety show? No, what he does is he has a set of like three or four characters that he goes around the U.S. or even in Europe in some cases and plays like almost like practical jokes on people. Okay, because, and by the way, the redhead from the movie Wedding Crashers is married to him. Oh, really? That's her husband. Really? Yeah. is with in Wedding Crashers. That's who his wife is. But anyway, I've heard that he does this Kazakhstan tourist that goes to like Alabama. Is that true, Sean? Yeah. He's like a Kazakhstan tourist in Alabama. And Kazakhstan is a real country. And I guess Kazakhstan said that they were going to sue him because he does this character. On the Ali G show. He went on the MTV Europe Music Awards as this character. So I don't think this character had been exposed to Europe as popular as it is here in America. But when he went on the European Music Awards as this character, started talking about how shooting dogs is fun. He always says these horrible things about Kazakhstan. Really? About how just backwards they are and how they do awful things to women.
And so they're threatening to sue him. His real name is Sasha Cohen. So anyway, apparently, he released a response on his website after they said they were going to sue him. Now, is he doing it in the alley, or excuse me, in the characters, as the character? Yeah, it's as the character Borat is his name. Borat. Yeah. All right, so let's hear this. Cut 15. In response to Mr. Ashikbaev's comments, I'd like to state I have no connection with Mr. Cohen and fully support my government's decision to sue this Jew. Since the 2003 Tulyakov reforms, Kazakhstan is as civilized as any other country in the world. Women can now travel on the inside of bus. Homosexuals no longer have to wear blue hats.
and age of consent has been raised to eight years old. Please, a captain of industry, I invite you to come to Kazakhstan, where we have incredible natural resources, hardworking labor, and some of the cleanest prostitutes in the whole of Central Asia. Goodbye. Thank you. Oh, no. Maybe you made it worse, you think? I think you made it worse. A little bit. That's horrible. I love it. That's hysterical. That's hysterical. Oh, man. All right. Other stuff. Chad Kroger, lead singer of Nickelback. Now, where is... I only have one page in my audio. Yeah. Well, I gave you two pages, but... Where's the other? Yeah, the other page was blank. There was nothing on it. The last one cut 16, but Sean, were you able to get that Chad Kroger clip? Yeah, it's on there. Oh, okay. 17. Okay, cool. So we got it. Okay. Chad Kroger is suing his old drummer. Now, you remember that we had on Josie Scott, the lead singer of Saliva, and they don't like each other. Because Josie Scott feels like he got gypped from Chad Kroger. Yeah. For singing on the song Hero. Yeah, from Spider-Man soundtrack. So it sounds like there's a...
like a lot of issues when it comes to Chad Kroger and money. Yeah, and that's what I was going to say. It's always about money, you know. It's not about, you know, creative differences. It's always about money. So he's filed a lawsuit against their former drummer because he says that their former drummer is attempting to collect royalties from, you know, their songs. And he said since the guy's no longer with the band, he's not entitled to any money. So he's filed a suit, and earlier when he had initially fired the drummer, Chad Kroger was talking about how really difficult it was to fire this guy, Cut 17. This wasn't a bomb that was set off. I mean, we had three different meetings, and that is very tough to do, and it is very divorce-like. You know, when you're in a band with somebody, it's like having a family member. It's like telling someone to leave the family. He's got quite a voice, doesn't he? Oh, yeah. He looks like a silverback gorilla. Whoa. No, no, no. I don't know if you've seen the videos. I don't say that to be mean. I say it as an observation, you know. In what way? Have you ever seen a silverback gorilla? Well, I'm just picturing a gorilla. Well, you've got to see the silverbacks. He more closely resembles the silverbacks, indigenous to some parts of Southeast Asia. Now, Chad Kroger, as Skye said, he's had these issues with money.
With these people. Why did the drummer even leave? What was the problem? They're not saying, but it doesn't sound like the drummer leaves. It sounded like they fired him. So, you know, I guess he, I don't know if he wasn't performing up to par or maybe, you know, money issues were already slowly starting. I don't really know, but I know the courts are involved now. If he performed on those songs, shouldn't he get royalties? That's what you would think. Yeah. Yeah. Of course he should. He did it. He performed. Well, that was my thought, too. But Chad Kroger says, nope. What a strange guy with money. Yeah. Yeah, dude. He was on him. He should get him. Right. You get a new drummer, the new drummer will get royalties from the new stuff you make with him. All right. Unless they had some sort of shady contract in the beginning with this drummer saying that he doesn't, you know, have a right to royalties if he's no longer in the band or whatever. But that doesn't sound cool. Sounds like something that Chad Kroger would have wanted in a contract for that drummer, though. Right. Okay, so 10 most fascinating people, right? Barbara Walter Special, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Hear, hear. Apparently, Camilla Parker Bowles was the most fascinating person of 2005. Give me a break. I mean, shouldn't it be? First of all...
I don't know. I mean, you would think that the most fascinating people to Americans would be Americans, but I don't know. She's a British lady that's married to Prince Charles. We don't even really, I don't think we hear that much about her. How could she be the most fascinating person to us if we don't even hear that much about her? And talk about looking like a silverback gorilla. Yeah, well, because we were kind of talking about, you know, what a Crockett is off the air. And Bobby Kernels is like, who is Camilla Parker? You know, like. She's married to Prince Charles. But people like Americans don't even. We don't even really know. She's not even on our radar. Like, it would make more sense to me if Saddam Hussein. Yeah. Was a fascinating person in 2005. True. We know who he is. Yes. Yeah. We've heard of him. Yeah. Some people are big fans. Yeah, and some of the other people who made the top ten who, you know, obviously Camilla beat out were people like Tom Cruise, Jamie Foxx, Dakota Fanning, Terry Hatcher, Beth Holloway Twitty, who's the mom of the girl who went missing in Aruba. Strange mom. Well, that's a strange pick. She made the list? But at least we know who. Did she make the list? Yeah. That's odd.
Yeah, so... I don't know what's strange of her making the list on her last name. That's true, too. Okay, you guys. Come on. So, Camilla Parker... And I swear it looks like bowels when you... Cut nine. This April, they married 56-year-old Charles and 57-year-old Camilla. The idea that love can endure over time, that loyalty and faith... Matter more than appearances. If that's the stuff of fairy tales, then this too was a fairy tale wedding. And Camille, a fairy tale heroine. Her triumph, not about taking on the world, but taking on one man. A triumph of patience and understanding that is seldom rewarded. So we're going to do that tonight by choosing her as the most fascinating person of 2005. What you are, you twerp. You're the most fascinating person to you, I guess, Barbara. No one cares. And, like, am I not remembering what happened correctly? Wasn't Camilla Prince Charles' like mistress? Yeah. And then they got married because Lady Di died? Yeah. And so Barbara Walters is going on about how we should reward her for her patience and her loyalty to Prince Charles, and we should acknowledge her? What about her patience and loyalty to Princess Diana? Yeah, what about her loyalty to the sanctity of marriage? Yeah.
Oh, my God. That sounds great. That makes me even madder. Oh, junk. We got a lot of Tom Cruise stuff. Oh, really? He's jumping on couches and knocking up teenagers practically, and he's not the most fascinating person? Thank you. He was pretty fascinating. Dude. Let's hear Tom Cruise talking about the argument he got into with Matt Lauer on the Today Show. Cut four. It began to have people saying, This isn't the Tom Cruise we know, or this is a Tom Cruise who's a little wacky. Do you regret anything you said or did? Yeah, you do. No, it's truth. You look at, you know, what has occurred. over this past year. What is a turd? Where you have the kind of labels that have been put on these psychiatric drugs. Since I started talking out about it, since the Matt Lauer interview, over 465,000 children have come off the yeast depressant. So I think it's exactly the opposite. How do you know that, Tom? And how do you know that? All of them are logging onto a website when they quit? Hi. I'm nine years old. And I just want to thank you, Mr. Cruz.
I no longer take psychedelic or psychotropic drugs like you talked about. I'm off of my Effexor. I'm off of my lithium. What is he? Is he nuts? P.S. Screw Matt Lauer. Yeah. I'm no longer glib because Tom Cruise has shown me the light. Yeah. And in closing... F. Brooke Shields. I hope she kills her baby. Oh, my God. Sean. Well, they wrote it, not me. I'm just reading it. It was the nine-year-old that wrote it, not Sean. I'm just reading it. Sean's just reading the letters. Oh, my God. Whoa. Tom Cruise on his relationship with Katie Holmes cut five. This has been so fast with Katie. I mean, you just met her last April. How do you know so fast? I just knew. I really just knew. It was an explosion. And she's just, she's magic. And I really, I think that all men should celebrate their women. They should all jump on couches for them. I really, when you find that woman, you should absolutely be unabashed about it. That's how I feel about it. That's so sweet. So I really mean it. I will forever be jumping on couches. And now we're going to have, you know, children. It's beautiful.
First of all, Tom Cruise does regret the things that he said to Matt Lauer. Let's take things one at a time. He does regret what he said to Matt Lauer. I'm doing an interview with a radio industry magazine today, and there may be something that I say in that interview that maybe I regret later. It may be something I believe in, but you have to be honest. Maybe you believe in something, but you might regret it. And I believe that when everybody hated him, he regretted it. Nobody wants to be hated. And why did he fire his publicist and hire a new one if he didn't regret those decisions? Yes. Hello. Thank you. And in regards to his relationship with Katie, I believe, too, that we should celebrate our women. I do not believe that we need to jump on couches. You don't. We don't, right, Skye?
If your husband loves you, he doesn't have to jump on a couch about it, right? Well, he doesn't have to. Unnecessary. It's nice, but... Unnecessary. But unnecessary, yes. Tom Cruise says he doesn't know the sex of his baby even though they bought a sonogram machine. How much do you say that sonogram machine costs? They say that a sonogram machine can range anywhere from $15,000 to $200,000. Okay, so Kooky and Katie Holmes. Bought their own sonogram machine. Oh, yeah. Cookie Cruz. Cut six. Okay, the baby. Yes. Do you know if it's a boy or a girl? No, we're going to know. You're going to know beforehand? Yes. They actually bought a sonogram machine. And? I'm going to donate it to a hospital and we're done. Wait, you're going to do your own sonogram? Yes. So you know whether it's a boy or a girl, don't you? No, I don't. But you're looking at the sonogram. Barbara, I would tell you, I would say...
I know if it's a boy or a girl, and I'm not telling you, okay? I thought you would say that. Oh, God. So I'm trying to picture Tom in the house with the sonogram machine snapping on white latex gloves and slathering up the end of a sonogram machine with that Vaseline and smearing it on Katie's belly. And, like, Where do you, like, do you think they set up a room specifically for this? Did they put it in their living room? That's a good question. Is it in their billiard room? Do you do that in the bedroom? Where do you do that? Well, most people don't own sonogram machines, so you do that in the OBGYN's office. That's where you do it. And does she lay down on, like, a massage table that they bought? Or is she on the couch? Or is she on their bed? The bed and the couch don't make sense to me because they're going to slather her up with grease. Grease.
And the end of the sonogram machine with grease. Where did they put the thing? What does she wear for the sonogram appointment with Dr. Cruz? I don't know. What does she wear? What do you wear to your sonogram appointment? What a freak show. It's weird. And I don't care if you're going to donate it to the hospital after you're done with it. Don't have a sonogram machine, bro. It's okay to not have a sonogram machine. He explains. The silent birth. Oh, thank you. The Scientology silent birth that Katie is going to go through. We read about what we heard a silent birth is. Let's hear Tom Cruise say what silent birth is. Cut seven. Is there a Scientology way of having birth? Like anything, you want to be as quiet as possible. And I know there's been misinterpretation in terms of the woman can't make any noise. I mean, that's just nutty. No. But just...
calm and quiet. I want Kate to be as comfortable as possible. And whatever she's going to go through, she's going to go through. If she makes a noise, she makes a noise. Oh, she's going to make noise, I'm sure. I don't know of any... I mean, I don't know. We're going to go through it. That's very different from what we heard. It's called silent birth, bro. It sounds real different from what we've heard it is. Well, from what we've heard and read. It's not make any noise you want, birth. Right. And it's funny because did you hear him when he was saying, oh, for her to not make any noise at all, well, that's nuts. Yeah, that's nutty. You know, the fact that my religion was created by a guy who was a fiction writer is not nuts. Yeah. But for her to have a baby and not make any noise, that's just crazy. Yeah. The fact that the only thing soothing to a newborn child is its mother's voice and we will not allow her to speak. Now, that's nuts, Tom. Right, right, right, right, right. Nutty nut bag.
And why does he say, you know, like anything, you want to do it as quietly as possible? Yeah, I noticed that. What do you mean, like anything? Like anything. You know, like when you make a number two or... Have a conversation. Yes. When you yell at your kids. You know. When you get shot with a pistol. Sing opera. You want to do it quietly. Well, like anything. Yeah, like when I... This interview right now, Barbara. When I act in my movie roles, like Mission Impossible 3. Right, yes. Quiet. During the scene where I get shot. Just like anything, you want to do that quietly. Give me a break. Yes, Tom, but shh. Oh, my God. Because like anything. Okay, Tom, but what about like demolishing a building? Now, Missy's IMing me. Call me Missy. Come on, Missy. Missy's saying, see how secretive he is? Me and Missy have a very, we have very different.
feelings. What is this about? We have really different feelings about Tom Cruise. This is funny, Sean. Okay, Missy believes that Tom Cruise has pulled Katie aside and been like, you little effing bitch. Say things to the media. I want you. And she believes that he's like forcing, and I don't believe that. I believe that maybe she is, here's what I believe. I believe that Katie Holmes is like, ah, Google Gaga over Tom. And, you know, is trying to conform to whatever he's into. She believes, Missy believes, our midday disc jockey believes that Katie Holmes is under some sort of, like, stress under him. Yeah, the impression I get from Missy is that Katie Holmes is living in fear of Tom Cruise. And that's why she acts so weird when she talks to the media. And because she's living in fear of Tom. Right. That he will, like, physically... Like he's got some kind of psychological hold over her? No, that he'll hurt her. Like, physically, emotionally, like he's abusive. Now, see, I think that Missy's take on it is crazy, but I am willing to let her tell us what she thinks is going on. That's crazy! Now, just IM'd her to call in. She says, she says, see how secretive he is? He's a certified cuckoo clock. Certified.
Watch the bird come out of his mouth once an hour. And she says, and that poor girl is going to end up chained in a basement. Sean. Sounds good to me. Not in a good way, Sean. P1 Dawn has some sort of, oh, she's gone. Damn it. Damn, bitch. Sean. Take it easy. He's just saying. Tom Cruise talking about when him and Katie are going to get married. Him and Katie Holmes. Cut eight. I don't have a film after Mission possible. I'm sure. Well, that's a good time to get married. Yes. We're going to get married next summer or early fall. Next summer or early fall. Yes. I wonder if the glean of him being Tom Cruise will wear off for Katie. Because she used to have posters of him, Top Gun posters of him in her room as a little girl. Right. That's how the difference is in the age. Hi, Missy.
Hi, baby. Okay, tell us your take on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Well, you know, you and I have discussed this many times. Yes. I mean, look how evasive he is when he's in interviews. He's almost like he beats around the bush when they ask him a question. He just looks at people like, how dare you ask me that question? Right. Am I that crazy? But don't you believe, though, that... that you believe that Katie is afraid of him physically, that he has, like, got her in a place where if she says the wrong thing, he will, like, assault her. Right. Okay, you know, for example, like, when she's out and about, which is rare now, right? Yes. And if she's out and about, she's usually in a hurry to get from place A to place B with as little paparazzi around her as possible. She doesn't smile anymore. She always has that look on her face like... Oh, my God, please just let me get from here to here as quickly, you know, so nobody talks to me and I don't say anything. See, I don't see Katie Holmes that way. I see her. She used to be like a social butterfly. She used to be walking around. You don't think, miss, you don't think that she's like always giddy with a big giant smile on? No, that smile is so. I'm going to look like I'm really happy so I don't get my ass kicked when I get home. Oh, that's great. But you think that if she did say the wrong thing, he would kick her ass.
Well, you know what? Honestly, I think he'd pull out a Sean and chain her to the basement. There you go. Oh, my. It could be. Sean is into that. I resemble that remark. Maybe he's a Jedi and he's using mind tricks. There you go. There you go. He's doing Jedi mind tricks on her. Okay. Now you're being weird. I didn't even think about that. You're the best. I love you, miss. I love you more, baby. All right. Goodbye. So, anyway. That's what Missy thinks, though. She really believes that. You know what I mean? And she believes that she she told me one time she said, I think that because you love your wife as much as you do, Mikey, you can't understand why he is crazy. And I said, well, Miss, I said, Missy, I do think he's kind of cuckoo, but I don't think that he's like, you know, abusive, abusive. And she's like, I'm telling you. That guy, man, he's like knuckle sandwiching her. That's news to me. That is hilarious. I love it. How was he not the most fascinating person of 2005? Give me a break. Of course he is. That's so stupid, Barbara Walters. Shame on you. Cheese whiz. Cheese whiz. Terry Hatcher's one of the most fascinating people. Beth Holloway Twitty is Natalie Holloway's mother.
She's got some real interesting stuff to say about Natalie that goes against what we had heard before, which is that she believes that Natalie could still be alive. When she said that, I started getting these emails from nut jobs saying, Mikey, how dare you say that you think that that's crazy? There are people that are sold into white slavery. Well, I think they're kind of misrepresenting what went down. The conversation started out because she got a voicemail. She got a voicemail. Where in the back, she heard somebody saying mom. And she believes that it could have been her daughter. She believed it warranted being looked into. But she in no way ever came out saying, I believe that's my daughter. She didn't? I thought she kind of did, Skye. I thought she totally said I thought it was Natalie. Well, I wasn't here the day you guys talked about it, but I read some of the emails. But what I read on CNN is she got this message. We heard audio of her talking to Dr. Phil. Oh, okay. And to Dr. Phil, she's like saying she believes that that's Natalie. Because the quotes I read from her that she gave to CNN said that, you know, she believes it was most likely a wrong number, but she did want the authorities to look into it. Sounds to me like she's probably.
stepping back from the kind of more bold statement she made of Dr. Phil. Okay, I didn't hear that, no. And they were really bold. And I said, what I said about these comments to Dr. Phil is, I said, I believe that this is, I feel really, really bad for her. Because it sounded like a woman who wanted to believe with all of her heart anything that could maybe let her daughter be alive. You know what I mean? And I started getting these emails from people going, you prick. How dare you, Mikey? This, you know, she could be alive out there. And there is white slavery. And yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, okay. This person writing this, you think Natalie Holloway is a white slave right now? Being whipped and, you know, like told to, like, you know what I mean? Told to, what kind of slave is it? Like sex slaves. You're in a whole different area, Sky. That's a whole other thing. What do you mean? White slavery is a real thing. A white woman being abducted in a foreign country and sold as like a sex slave. That happens. You're absolutely right. That's not what she's talking about. That's not what these people... White slavery is a real thing. Although it may be more of an urban legend. I don't really know. But the idea of white slavery is different than a sex slave.
The idea of white slavery is that people are actually made to be indentured servants. They do stuff. Well, either way, both things exist. And in both instances, white people have disappeared and become slaves in either fashion. So how can you be confused why people would argue that? Because it is a fact. Because I don't believe Natalie Holloway is a white slave. Granted, it's more of the exception. I think she got killed by that little monster. Right. It's more of the exception than the rule, but it's not something that should be completely ruled out like you're a nutbag if you think that's the chance. Because it is a chance. It's a small chance, but it's a chance. Sweet. Right? What do you think? Think she was killed by that little monster? Most likely, yes. I do believe that. So I'm sorry that I'm not... But to say that it doesn't exist and there's no way that that could have happened. I'm not saying that. I'm saying Natalie Holloway ain't a white slave. Well, see, you are right now just saying it. No. You're saying there's no chance that she's... I'm not saying that it doesn't exist. I think that maybe white slavery does exist. But you're saying... What I'm saying unequivocally is I don't believe that Natalie Holloway is one of them. That poor little girl was taken away... But you don't know that. ...by that little monster. You don't know that. I mean...
A gambling person, all odds. And so I'll say it again. I'll say it again. So am I supposed to go on the radio and freaking give any credence to that white slavery bull-ass crap that we're... I don't understand. That some whack job that wrote me an email? But you admitted it does exist. They're coming up with that in their mind. But you have admitted it does exist, right? So how could it be whacked out bull-ass? Let me give you another one, then. Let me give you another one. What if somebody writes me and they says, Mikey. I think what happened to Natalie Holloway and what happens out there in the world is that she could have been sold as a Korean to some country. Things that actually. I'll be like, what is that whacked out? Hang on. What is that whacked out like Oliver Stone theory that you have? That's all it is. It's a conspiracy theory. Let's look at what the actual. everything is actually pointing to, which is that a poor girl was killed. And what really pissed me off was that I'm on the air saying, this poor lady, there is no, all the stuff that was coming up on Dr. Phil had nothing to do with white slavery. You know what I'm saying? And so I'm saying, wow, this poor lady is believing that somebody that was on the phone was her daughter. That's sad. I start getting emails from people going, you ass.
She could have been sold into white slavery. And I'm like, you're crazy writing me with that. So I don't see where we're disagreeing, Skye. Well, what I'm saying is that... If I'm hearing you, you're like, well, Mikey, maybe she was. What? Well, yeah, like, okay, if we're going to put odds on it, 99% chance, unfortunately, she was... What should I have done different then? Written that person back and gone, hey, I'm really sorry. Maybe she was sold into white slavery. What I would have done is been like, you know what? Yeah, there are instances of white slavery in the past. In my opinion, in this case, it looks like to me this is what happened. But not to tell the person they're crazy. I didn't. I clicked delete, which was my personal way of going crazy. Killing me, man. We got to take a break. We'll be back. They said monkeys could do this job. And we prove it every morning. You're on the air. Oh, Mikey, hey, this is P1 Chris. I've been trying to call in for a month talking about a... On the phone, I did a radio survey, and they're surveying all of San Diego stations. Is he allowed to talk about that on the air? I have no idea. Well, no, I just wanted... Hang on, Chris. Chris. Hold the phone. Hang on, okay? Okay. Sean, is he allowed to talk about that? Do you know? If it's the big company, hell no.
Yeah, I don't think he's allowed to talk. I think it's illegal for you to talk about that on the air. I just want to say I gave you. I don't want to know. I don't want to know. I don't want to know what you did. We can't know. There's all these laws about what you're allowed to say and what you're not allowed to say and all this stuff. It's so weird. It's really weird. The ratings are real weird how they do them. And I'll tell you what, I don't like that company, Arbitron. I don't like the way that they got to take the ratings. I think it's flawed. Yeah, it's not fair. It's not a fair system. No. And there are Nazis about it, man. Uh-huh. What they should do is, and with our age of technology, it should be easy. Especially given the fact that, I love technology. Hey, hey, we're not. As much as the sky you see. We're not going back to that. We're not. Always and forever. We're good. Thank you. We're good. Always and forever. Stay on topic, please. They should be able to create some kind of deal that is embedded in your radio and it tells people what you're listening to. Yeah. See, the problem is that I believe that there are probably a lot more women that listen to the Mikey show that don't say they do. Right. Because they want to put something. Like, you know, there are probably some men.
that listen to girlier shows and they don't want to say that either. And I just say it should be fair and everybody should know what you're listening to and that's how they do the ratings, but it don't work like that. Right. And that would help because a lot of the issue that people have with the ratings is the issue of Hispanic listeners because they count Hispanic listeners more than they count Caucasian listeners. And if Mikey, like Mikey said, if the technology was right there in the radio, they can count everybody the same. Well, the cool thing is that now a bunch of Mexicans are listening to us too. Yeah. We're stealing listeners from all kinds of... We stole listeners from Jammin' Z90. We stole listeners from 933 and The Morning Show over there. A lot of the people that used to listen to them are listening to us now. A lot of it is they just didn't know that we existed. Now they listen and they go, oh yeah, I find that show really interesting. Those people are real weird. And we are. Yep. Mikey Show. Hi. Hi. I'm calling in to see what Mikey's take is on ghosts. Okay. Do you just want me to give you my take on ghosts? I'm sorry? Do you just want me to give you my take on ghosts? Well, I've grown up Christian my whole life. Both my parents are in ministry and my older brother's in ministry, my little brother's in ministry. And I'm in the military, but...
Recently in my house I've been having a lot of weird things happen and a lot of people that I'm friends with are saying that they think it's ghosts. So I want to know what Mikey's take is on it. My take on it is that they are real. It's just that my personal opinion is that they are evil. And that if they are masquerading, if you think that, like, for instance, let's say my pop dies, okay? Right. And let's say that I suddenly start getting these... feelings that my dad is around the house, I could create all kinds of scenarios for that and tell you, oh yeah, I believe that my dad is watching over me. And there was a time in my life where I did believe that. In fact, there was a time in my life where I believed that there was a very dear friend of our family who was around watching over me like a guardian angel. Right. And here is what I believe now. I believe that if you are saved that you go to heaven and that if you go to heaven, you ain't hanging around earth. That's just my belief. You're in heaven and you're, you're in heaven. Um, and I believe that if you see something and it looks or sounds like your dad, what it really is, is something evil lying because my belief and Bible talks about demons that lie. They lie.
And they masquerade and they sound or whatever like something else. That's my belief. I think Sky believes something different. Right. I believe more in the fact that there are bad spirits and good spirits, just like there's good people and bad people. But either way, none of them can harm you. You know what I mean? I feel totally comfortable. If there would be a spirit around me, I wouldn't have a problem. My question, though, is so like what things are starting to happen to make you think there may be a ghost in your house? Right. Well, first, like our alarm started going off every night at midnight, even though we'd set it for 6 a.m. so I could go to work. And that was kind of weird, but it didn't really do too much to make me think anything out of the ordinary. And then my digital watches, I have four alarms on each or two digital watches, and they all started going off at midnight, all four alarms. Whoa. I was like, well, that's weird. And then it started on my cell phone. After my alarm clock and my watches stopped, my cell phone alarm clock was going off at 621 at night and then 941 in the morning. Wait a minute, wait a minute. 621 p.m. And 941 a.m. Huh. I don't know that there's any significance to that. That's what I thought, too. I was thinking friends that have died. I just got back from the war. So as anybody that I was close to was at their birthday or was at an age or a time or anything, I could not come up with anything.
Yeah, that's pretty trippy. Like one thing malfunctioning, but to have like, you know, a lot of different electronic stuff, that's kind of trippy, man. And the electronic thing, I'm thinking maybe it could be a phenomenon. Maybe I live in a weird part of the county and I got some weird signal. And so I just kind of wrote all that off. But my mom was over at the house for Thanksgiving and everybody had kind of left. It was just my wife and my mom and I. And I was playing with the magnets like a four-year-old on the refrigerator. And I left them in a very certain way because they're all car magnets. And when I looked back over, nobody else had been in the kitchen. There was only three of us. We were all sitting in the living room. I looked back over at the refrigerator, and two of the magnets had been moved completely around. They went from the front of the refrigerator to one on each side. Are they words? No, they were two different cars. They were both Hummers, H2 Hummers. And that really freaked me out. Did you ask anybody else in the house about it? Yeah, I talked to my mom and my wife about it right there, right then. And they're like, well, that is weird. Well, the next morning, which was yesterday, my wife got up late for work. My wife ran into the kitchen and made me some toast so I could eat it on the road. And while she was in there, the stereo on the kitchen counter turned itself on. Where do you live? I live out in Lakeside. Oh, man.
Well, yeah, my belief is that I do believe that, you know, spirits, ghosts, stuff like that, I believe that they exist. It is just my belief that they're not good. Now, I also have this belief. I'm just going to tell you, this isn't going to be popular with a lot of people, but this is my belief. I believe as a Christian that some people are saved. What that means is that some people are going to heaven. Those people are the people that believe that Jesus Christ died for their sins and are their Lord and Savior. It's not by good or bad deeds that they did. It's just that those are the people that are going to heaven. There are now people that do not believe. Whoa. Hello. Yeah. Are you there? You still there? That was Boston Rob. Sorry. I thought it was one of your ghosts. My mom upstairs. Yeah. Anyway, the people that are not saved. are not going to heaven. And I believe that those people are the people that sometimes haunt. Right. See, because my dad, I would call my dad and talk to him about it, but he's in Africa right now doing missions, so I didn't have the opportunity to talk to him. But he had talked to me when I was younger about tormented souls. And just because, I mean, I know you know this, Mikey, just because they're not Christian doesn't mean they're bad people.
Oh, they're not bad people. They're absolutely full of like a good person. Yeah. Yes. Yes. I believe that, too. I don't believe. I mean, listen, people that are not going to heaven, not only are they good people, they're wonderful people. They they have not been saved. And so, yeah, I mean. So do you think that? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. But hang on, Jordan. It's Jordan, right? Yes. Okay, here's my other thought. Like, unfortunately, if they didn't go to heaven and they died, they went to hell, and that is not a good place, and that is a place filled with demons. Right. And, like, they were good people on earth. I still believe that they may be good people in... There may be good people in hell because they weren't saved, but they are tormented. I do believe that. I believe that hell is a place of torture and torment. Right. I have another question. This is kind of outside of the religious aspect of it. But so you said that you were gone in Iraq or whatever. Is this are you new to this house or did you live in this house before?
We moved in in October, and so I thought about that too, Scott. I called my apartment manager, and she's like, well, I've only been here eight months. Let me call the old manager to see if anything else has happened prior to me getting here. And she called the old manager who has been here for years, and he said that he has never had any kind of complaint, and he can remember everybody who had ever lived in my apartment in the years that he had worked there, and he said nothing. There was nothing that he could recall. Jordan, there are people calling in that have different opinions about it. Some people think that it's crazy. Some people may think that it's for real. Would you like to talk to some of these people? That'd be great. All right. P1 Tony is on line five. Go ahead, Tony. Hey, what's going on? I'm glad you served and everything in Iraq, dude, but you're flipped in the dome. There's no such thing as ghosts, man. There's no such thing as ghosts, brother. You're crazy. Why do you think that, Tony? I just don't. If you die and you go to heaven and all this stuff, I think when you die, you become worm food. That's my personal opinion. But everybody's got their opinion on it. I think the dude's probably getting drunk at night or family members getting drunk at night and not setting his clock right. That's why alarms are going off. That's P1 Tony. Well, that's interesting. That's disrespectful. That's his opinion. You know, you don't have to buy into it. Worm food. You get that, right, Ashley? You get what he's saying? Yeah. He believes that when you die, you're put in the earth and nothing happens to you. You don't go anywhere. Right. Some people believe that.
Some people do. Let's see. P1 Dredd is on the line. Go ahead, Dredd. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? Good. Hey, I was listening to what you were saying, and I agree with a lot of it, where the people that are saved do go into heaven, but the people that aren't saved, when they die, they stand before Jesus, and he judges them, and they go to hell. So there's no lingering of humans on earth after death. It's only angels and demons that linger on earth, and the demons are trying to lie and make people believe in things besides God. So they're trying to make the people believe that the aliens are haunting. Now, the only thing that, here's the deal. No matter what I say and no matter what Dredd is saying, no matter what, these are all like opinions. I'll tell you, the truth about what you want, if I really want to know what the truth is, I got to do some work. Right. And that's a pain in my butt sometimes. But the truth is, if I want to know, I've got to get in the Word. I've got to read the Bible. But I'm a lazy fat guy a lot of times. It's the truth, man. I'm just being honest with you. I'm lazy. And if I really want to know, why don't I read? And that's what I should do. That's what I should do. I should read. But, I mean, so, Dredd, I'll tell you this. If that is in the Bible, I am down. If that's in the Bible. But I don't know that it is, Dredd.
Yeah, well, it actually says that everyone stands before Jesus when they die. Does say that. When you're absent from the body, you're present before the Lord. So anyone, when they die, they stand before the Lord. That is true. And he judges them. So the only thing that would be on earth lying to people would be demons because the angels wouldn't do that. And we know humans stand before the Lord and get judged. Sounds logical. It does. It does sound logical. So what are the angels doing? So what are the angels doing? Who is moving magnets, angels or demons? Who moves the magnets, the angels or the demons? That's what I want to know. The demons, because the angels wouldn't try and confuse humans. The demons are out to confuse us, to try and make us believe in other things besides God. Okay, Dredd, answer me this. Riddle me this. Yes. If there are angels on earth, and the Bible says that, right? Yes. What are the angels doing? The angels are trying to protect the people. They're trying to protect the saved people and trying to defend them from the demons. I like that. Do the angels ever let us know that they're present? That's what I'm saying. Because, I mean, really, I think if it was a demon, it would have done something like, you know, kept my refrigerator over on me while I was trying to eat my cereal or something. But, you know, setting off my alarm clocks, I think, would be more of a way of just saying, hey, I'm here. We're here. See, they're trying to do, like, subtle little things to make you think, hey.
Maybe my grandfather is lingering around and maybe there isn't really heaven because he was a good guy. And then you're not thinking about God and the way that you should live a holy and pure life. Let me tell you something. Are we in the 50? Are you kidding me? No. We're in the 50 break? I thought we were in the 810. No. Oh, geez. We are late. We are late. I got to take a break. I want to keep talking about this, though. Jordan, can you hold on a line? I can. All right. Hold on. And Drett, I appreciate it, man. All right, no problem. Thank you, bro. Now, I know a guy. Guy's name is John. And this dude knows the Bible. He knows it. And I think a lot of this stuff, when you talk about ghosts and stuff like that, there's a tie-in. And so I'm going to ask this guy. Let's take a break, though. We'll keep talking about it. I'd love to hear your opinion. 5701053. Or if you have stories that relate to this, stuff happened in your house. And maybe you have an argument for or against it being positive or negative force. 5701053. He's unstoppable. He is. Mikey. The Mikey Morning Show. The most sacred thing I do is care. Rock 1053. Oh, man, I wish I should have called John to see if John wanted to come on the radio. Let me, hang on a minute. Send colonels in here. Colonel. Where's the colonel? He's coming in here. All right, colonels, write this number down. Guy's name is John. Call him and tell him we're on the radio and tell him what we're talking about and tell him that I would like to see what his take is on the air. If he wants, tell him. that if he would rather not come on the air, that that's okay. Because I'm just kind of hitting him up with it. I don't know what he's going to think. So call him. Hey, Mike. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead, Sean. I just got a call from my wife. Yeah? She is glued to the radio right now. Really? Well, the streaming. She says it's fascinating. Yeah, and I'd love... See, this guy John that I know, disciples to me. He's teaching me a lot. God, this dude, he's tatted up.
He's badass. This guy's bad. And this guy knows, man. He knows stuff. Because he's, like, he does the work. He's not a lazy guy like me. He actually does the work. And so I would love to hear what his take is. Because I don't really know anything. I read some stuff and I tell you what I know. And I tell you what my opinion is. But we got Jordan on the line. Jordan called in and says that you wanted to know what my take is on ghosts. And you wanted to know because I'm... I'm Christian, and you kind of wanted to know what my take was from that regard, right? Right. And can I clarify something real quick? After talking with Dredd, I just want to clarify that I don't think that it's a good ghost. I don't think that it's a good spirit. I really, Mike, I have no clue, and that's why I called in. Yeah. I don't want people thinking that I'm out there and I am some whack job thinking, there's a good ghost hanging out with me. He's going to help me do good when I go to work, you know? Right, right, right. You don't know, and you're kind of interested in whatever.
Very. Okay, and I understand that. So anyway, there's a lot of people calling in, and they have opinions. So would you like to hear some opinions? I would like to hear some opinions. All right, let's hear some opinions. This is P1 Michelle. Yes. Go ahead, Michelle. Hey, I'm reading the Bible right here, right in front of me right now, and in Psalms 91, it states, this is going back to the angel situation about angels on earth, and it says, Yeah, Psalms 91, 11, it says, For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your food against the stone. So basically what that means to me is saying that, you know, angels are on earth to make sure that we do not do anything wrong and that we always follow in the path of God and that follow Jesus and the way we're supposed to walk as Christians in life. As for demons on earth, I know that in the Bible, I don't know the passage right now, there are demons constantly surrounding us, and they're the ones who lead us to doing bad things in life and lead us to, I mean, I was saved just a year ago, and prior to that I was a drug addict and whatnot, but I know that demons were always around me. I could feel their presence, and they did little things to make me know that they were there, like similar ideas, my cell phone ringing at weird hours.
My alarm's going off. Lights turning on randomly. And then ever since I've been saved, nothing's happened to me. Really? That's interesting. All right, thanks. You know, I had a story like that. Really? When I was in Dallas. Let me tell you something, man. I was in the middle of it. I was like, ooh. Was I bad in Dallas? Oh, yeah. And I was going to strip clubs and stuff. And I had this dream one night that terrified me. It was this dream. It was like, it was one of the most terrifying dreams. I dreamt, I remember this club that we used to go to, like it was so vivid. And this club, I was dreaming this club like it was, it was exactly this club, but it was like a dungeon. And the women that were in the club were like demons. And I was having this dream. When I was like driving a sports car, money, drinking, I was like, and the show that I was doing was all about sin. That's what I did at the time. And I remember wondering like, why did I have this dream? Like these strippers were demons and I couldn't get out of the club. Like I was trapped in this club.
And they were like demons. Well, I remember that right around that time. And I, everybody remembers it. I even talked about it on the air at the time. Eddie would remember this. Eddie's out sick today. But I, this actually happened. My television turned on one night in the middle of the night and woke me up. And it was blaring. Like, I don't listen to it like that loud. And in my bedroom, my television turned on. Blaring. And it scared the crap out of me to the point that what I started doing was I started sleeping with my television on so that that wouldn't happen again. Like stupidly thinking to myself, if it turns off, I'm going to be just as scared. In fact, then I'll be more scared because then I'm in the dark with no sound. You know, the truth is that I was in the dark in my life at that time. And I didn't, you know, I was asking listeners what. could this have been people were calling in with theories of why my television would have turned itself off blah blah blah and to this day i i don't know why it turned on by itself i don't know uh i know that i was living a sinful life see i've never experienced that stuff you know like something like that's never ever happened to me so i i don't know but
You know, I know, Sean, your in-law's house is, like, you know, rumored to be haunted. Right before you go to that, right before you go to that, I do have to tell you one thing. What? I am saved, and I had an experience in my place last year. Oh, that's right. And that's after being saved. And, I mean, it scared me so bad in my house. I wanted me and my wife to get out of there right then and there. I remember. I wanted us to move out. I wanted us out of that place. Do you want me to tell that story? Sure. Like, I'm just interested in this whole electronics angle. Yeah, yeah, we'll get to it. We'll get to it. The cat is doing the cat thing where the cat looks at stuff that isn't there. And I'm watching the cat do this thing where the cat's looking at stuff that isn't there. And we have a garbage can that looks, you know, it's one of those garbage cans that's like shaped like a tube. And on the top, it's got the... arm that swings back and forth like, you know what I mean? Cat's looking all over, like following something with its head and looks over to the garbage and the garbage thing goes, and I screamed. 30, 34 year old guy at the time. I go, and I called my wife down there because that cat's following something on, in the,
Like, that doesn't exist. And then looks into the bathroom door. And is just staring into the bathroom door. And I'm like, come on. I don't need this. But anyway, okay. Jordan, you're still with us. Listen to some of these stories. Go ahead, Sky. What were you going to ask? Well, I was going to ask Sean because Sean's told us many times about his in-law's house and like seeing things like people from the past, like an old-fashioned dress and the animals doing weird stuff like you described. But, Sean, have there been any like electronic instances like TVs turning on and off, alarms, stuff like these other people are describing? No, there's never been anything like that. It's always doors slamming, you know, heavy footsteps. You know, people walking up the stairs and then nobody arriving at the top of the stairs, that kind of thing. Wow. Nothing electronic. Jordan, I hope you don't have to go because I'm late again. I have to take another break, but we'll come back and keep talking to you if that's cool. That's fine, yeah. All right, hang on the line, and we'll take some calls. People are calling in. They got their takes on if angels and demons, if they exist.
If you are experiencing ghosts in your home today, is that a good thing or a bad thing? Is that evil? Is it good? So hang on the line. We'll talk about it. Don't go anywhere. We will be back. It's a Mikey show. He's not what you'd call an overachiever. More of an under-attainer. Mikey on Run. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Center. This ride continues to be a very tough one here this morning, especially out of the south. You've got to slow and go traffic out of Chula Vista on the 5 and the 805 northbound. The 805 heavy from Chula Vista all the way up into pretty much North Park solid. And then slows again out of Kearney Mesa past a crash at Governor Drive. This northbound 5 is suffering as well. This continues to slow into National City up towards Harbor Drive. And then a busy backup again coming out of downtown past the airport in the Mission Bay. The westbound 94 is just suffering pretty much from the 125. Actually, they'll make that Lennon Grove Avenue. That's a solid slow into the 805 connector. Then more brake lights from 28th Street into downtown. Same situation in the westbound 8. That is busy and in trouble here, starting at La Mesa Boulevard. That is solid brake lights from here all the way in past Texas Street in Hotel Circle. And South 15 has its share of problems as well here. Still backed up from Otto Parkway down to West Bernardo Drive out of Escondido. And then you'll find a very heavy ride from Ted Williams Parkway down to an accident clearing just past Mira Mesa Boulevard. I'm Rick Lawrence on San Diego's rock station, Rock 1053. Sean. I'm getting aft in my head. Boston Rob. Why can't a guy hook up and then, you know, maybe not call abroad after? And Ashley. I recommend bare-nippled shirts. It's the Mikey Show. It looks like you would find it in a baby diaper. on Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It is 839. Partly cloudy today. High temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Encinitas is 56 right now here in Kearney Mesa. It's 57 degrees. All right, folks. Interesting conversation going on. We had a guy call in. Jordan, are you still there? Yes, I am. And Jordan wanted to know, what was my take on ghosts? And, you know... And I'm guessing your question is whether or not they are good or bad? Yeah, pretty much. I mean, if it's bad, I totally don't want it around. But if it is something like an angel, I'm perfectly comfortable with it being there. Like I said, it's not done anything to really scare me or my wife. It's just kind of freaky anomalies happening around the house at this point. All right, lots of people calling in with their stuff. One person is P1Sophia.
And P1's Sophia said she had to move out of her place because of ghosts. Yeah. Go ahead, Sophia. I was living with my best friend in a condominium, and at first it just was like insignificant, kind of like pranks, kind of like little things that you just wouldn't take too seriously, and then it got really, really bad where I finally just left. Unfortunately, she's still there, and she's actually suffering a lot, I mean, but she chooses to deny it and live in this denial where... It's not going to hurt me, but it does. You know, it affects you. And so things were going just really bad. And it started like I was telling Mikey, you know, it started like with the lights turning on. You were telling Rob. Oh, I was telling Rob. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry, Rob. I was telling Rob. What am I, insignificant over here? I'm a human being. What am I, some kind of a ghost? Yeah, like you can't even see me over here? Are you looking right through me? Yeah. Are you looking right through the red bee on my baseball cap and T-shirt?
And sweatshirt. And wristband. And belt. Because I am a stupid idiot. That may have been gone too far, yeah. Anyway, Sophia. Sophia, do you think that those are good or bad things? No, well, you know, I come from the same belief. I'm a Christian, and so I was always taught to believe that, you know, Satan was basically... thrown away or thrown out of heaven. He was originally an angel. And so everything that came and followed Satan down to earth is a follower of his. And so I believe that those that roam here on the earth are demons. And the angels that are here to protect us are only summoned to us through prayer, like if we need protection and stuff. And so I never believed that it was good. And I think that if I was Jordan, I would probably leave because I think initially they try to mask themselves as something like innocent. and try to play with you and play with your mind. I mean, to the extent where I thought I was going crazy, I was just like, you know what, I need to get out of here. And I left. I consulted with some people that are also, you know, Christians or elders in the congregation, and, you know, they advised me to leave, and I did. And, you know, as soon as I left, you know, I just put it in prayer, and, you know, I was done with it. I'm living in a new apartment now.
I'm safe. You know, I can tell, like, when I go into homes and stuff, and I get this vibe. I mean, to the extent when I would come home from work and I would go into the apartment, I would get instant headaches, and I'd have headaches, like, all night. Wow. Because it existed, and it was there, and it was very real. You don't have headaches anymore? No, not at all. Thank you, Sophia. I appreciate the phone call. No problem. Yeah, I moved out of that place that I was telling you about where that weird stuff happened. We moved out. We were forced to. We had to move out. But in the new place... Nothing. Nothing going on in the new place. Now, I don't know if the answer is to move, but I know that in my situation, it changed things to move. And Sky and I were having the conversation off the air. You know, she said, hey, you know, we should have other opinions, too. I'm open to them. I just, you know, I'm open to other opinions. There are people calling with different opinions. And I don't know that it's an opinion thing, if that's what you meant, Sky. Well, it sounds, you know, a lot of the calls we're getting are from people whose beliefs are based in Christianity. So I kind of feel like we're only hearing one side. Now, maybe that's really, you know, all that's. Yeah. And I'm open to hearing the other and I'm open to hearing the other thing. I mean, but are you saying like you want to hear from people that are like satanic and they like maybe what they think? And I'm cool. I mean, I'm cool with whatever. I just don't know what you mean by the other side. Well, you know, I just think a lot of.
People have different opinions on this. You know, the atheists. Totally. Or even just, yeah, people who aren't Christian. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm totally, I mean, I'll take anybody's opinions. I mean, whatever. Right. P1, Donna is calling with a story about her niece dealing with her mother's passing on line three. Are you there, Donna? I'm here. How are you? Go ahead. While I was calling, I was brought up Roman Catholic and from a very staunch Italian background. And my parents have always taught us that. It's okay to believe in ghosts, that there are good ghosts and there are bad ghosts. And it was actually my cousin who passed away in January from breast cancer at the age of 39. And she left two very young children, a 4-year-old and a 12-year-old. And I'm godmother to the 12-year-old. And she knows that if anything happens that she can call me. And one morning she called me panic-stricken and had said that some really weird stuff has been happening ever since her brother Jonathan had a birthday. And I said, well, explain to me what was happening. One of the things that happened, she said she was getting herself some breakfast and put something in a toaster oven, turned around to get a plate, and when she turned back around to put the plate on the counter, there was already a plate and a napkin there for her. It wasn't there before. And I said to her, I just kind of chuckled because I didn't want to alarm her, and I said, well, maybe you thought you didn't put the plate there. Maybe you forgot. She said, well, okay, but...
Then how do you explain when I was in the shower the other day, I like to take a shower in my mom and dad's bathroom because they have a big screen TV and I can, you know, kind of watch the TV while I'm taking a shower. And I was watching MTV and singing to Mariah Carey and all of a sudden the Discovery Channel was on. And I said, oh, you know, just trying to make light of it. I said, well, maybe your brother came inside and changed the channel and ran out the door. And she said, well, I asked the nanny and the nanny said, no, Jonathan has not been up there. So I said, well, I don't know how to explain that. And she goes, well, this morning I'm really freaked out because I was downstairs talking to the nanny. They had to hire a nanny to take care of the kids. And she goes, I thought I heard Jonathan coming down the stairs. And she said, he kind of walks the same way my mom does with her slippers where she kind of drags her feet and it makes a thump all the way down the stairways and they have a wooden staircase. And so she said, I hauled it out to Jonathan and said, I'm in the kitchen if you need me. And he never showed up into the kitchen. So she said, Jonathan, are you there? And the nanny got up and went to go see where he was, and he was fast asleep in bed. And so I said, well, you know, I think what's happening, you know, I kind of wanted to, at that point, stop making light of it and kind of talk to her and say, you know, I think what's happening, Christina, is your mom still thinks that she's a part of your life and she wants to be a part of your life. And I said, and it's ironic that your birthday is coming up and this started when JJ's birthday.
um, happened. I said, and what you need to do is you really need to just stop and say, mom, I love you. You're still very much a part of my life, but I'm okay. And it's okay to be with God. So you don't have to, you know, try to. And Missy said that Missy, uh, sent me our midday girl. Missy sent me an instant message said, tell the thing. To go be with God. Exactly. And that's what I had been told. And what was really weird is I was telling my parents about this story. And I lost a brother to leukemia when I was young. And so, you know, I had the experience of having to go to the cemetery every Sunday and put flowers. And so I said to my mom, I drove over to my mom's after this conversation. You know, we shed some tears. And I turned around and my cousin's picture was on the counter. And the picture, I don't know where it came from. My mom started crying. My father started crying. And I said to my mom, I go, what do you think she's trying to tell us? And my mom said, I think she wants us to not forget her. So I drove to the cemetery, spent some time, spent some tears, and, you know, it's so hard. Oh, I'm sorry. Has things stopped since you guys have started communicating with her and telling her it's okay? Yeah, you know, I am sorry about that. Oh, no, it's okay. We all understand. Yeah, it has stopped.
And, you know, she would have been 40 in January, and I went to the cemetery. And it's gotten a lot better in terms of being able to talk to her and, you know, kind of myself be at peace because I didn't even know that she was suffering. Wow. You know, she wanted to keep that to herself because I did lose my brother. Well, listen, Donna, that is, man, that is really, really strong, deep stuff you're sharing. Yeah, so. I do believe that there are good ones and there are bad ones. And my cousin was a great person in life and as well in eternity. And she's just still trying to look out for her kids, but she has not made a presence. And she knows. She knows her kids are doing fine. And as long as I'm alive, I will always be there for them. Thank you, Donna. I appreciate the call. Thank you. Jordan, what do you think in your heart, Jordan? Really, I don't know. I'm confused. Obviously, I have friends being in the military that are secular and not Christian, and they're telling me that there are good and bad ghosts and that if it is a good ghost or spirit, then I could just ask it or tell it, go to the light or go be with God, and it will leave me alone. But honestly, with getting into the spiritual side of it, if it is an angel, there's no way in heck I want it to leave. I want it to be with me.
P1 Sarah is on the line, has input. Go ahead, Sarah. Sarah, are you there? No, Sarah. Uh-oh. All right. Well, listen. That could have been my wife calling in. Oh, really? It would have been really interesting. Oh, man. Well, listen, Jordan, it's an interesting thing. I'm going to find out more about it because it's interesting to me. It is. So I'll find out more. And keep us updated. Let us know, like, if more weird stuff keeps happening or if you decide to move or whatever. Let us know. Sure. All right, bro. All right, man. Thank you. All right, Jordan. Bye-bye. We'll see you. What a trip. Yeah, what a trip. Some interesting stuff we're talking about on the Mikey Show today. All right, we'll take a break. We'll be back. Short.

20 years ago, snowboarding was called the worst sport ever invented. I remember that look like, what are they riding on? But it started a movement that just couldn't be stopped. The early days of snowboarding can never be duplicated. It's like rock and roll in the 50s. Now, a new motion picture tells the story of the snowboarding revolution through the eyes of five of the most influential boarders of all time. They're athletes now. They're not punks anymore. Betty. That's where I usually do the stabbing. That's where I got stabbed. Betty. Sky. Just talking with my penis, Mike. Sean. Viv, your balls will throb. B-Rob. And movie knowledge. I got knowledge. And Ashley. Like, what distracts me is my own brain. It's the Mikey Show. That's a creepy good noise. On Rock 105.3.
Eddie just called in right now. He sounds miserable. Dude, this thing's going around and it like goes straight for your vocal cords. It goes straight for your vocal cords. Ask Skye. She's the one that's passing it. Skye's the host. Skye is the one that has started this bird flu. My dad has it. My mom has it. My husband has it. Of course, because you've been spitting into all their open swords. No, Sean, I'm good. I haven't got sick at all. Knock on everything possible. How have you been around your husband? Dude, you said he called my mom and dad the other day and they didn't recognize him. He has been sick since the day before Thanksgiving. And so he's been waiting to return your dad's phone call because he sounds like he's like a 13 year old boy going through puberty. Either he has laryngitis or he's going through puberty. That's like what his voice sounds like, a little combo. And so he's been waiting to call your dad back for him to sound more normal. So yesterday he's like, okay, I think I can do it. And your dad had no clue who he was. He's like, I don't know you. And my husband's like, no, it's me, you know. It's me. He's like, let me switch phones. Maybe I, you know, it's like, oh, man. It's me. But an Eddie sounds like he's, you know.
beginning stages of this as well. Well, the thing about this is it literally takes you over, like, within a second. Like, you're fine, and then all of a sudden, you are deathly ill. Yeah. What happened with me, too? Don't spit in any of my sores, Skye, please. Yeah, Skye, don't spit in my sores, either. Yes, Skye, stop spitting in people's sores. I'm not spitting in sores. I mean, Ashley just acknowledged that she had it. You know, one of the poor FedEx guys was walking through here the other day. He had a sore. Skye saw him, ran over, spat in it. Like a camel. I did not. It was awful. You're a terrible person. That's right. And when she did it, she went, bird flu. And then she pointed right in his face and went, ha ha ha ha. The only thing you were missing is she was pointing when she did that. And she kicked him in the balls. That's right. I hope Eddie feels better. Welcome back to the show. It is 857. Today we're going to see high temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Rancho Penasquitos is 63 right now on PB at 62 degrees. Not a drop of news. We haven't done anything. I haven't told you about anything happening in the world. Not really. I haven't told you about anything happening in the world, and for that I apologize. So let me tell you some stuff happening out there today. The Supreme Court is going to hear this abortion case. Now, we know that...
So locally, what happened with the tell people sky what we were voting on in November about this abortion thing and whether it passed or didn't pass. So when we had our special election back on November the 8th for, you know, our all of the governor's propositions, one of the propositions on the ballot, not one of the governor's ones, but one that was on the ballot for the special election was a proposition for parent parental notification for abortions for minors. So basically what they were trying to pass. In California, if you were a minor, you would have to get parental consent before getting an abortion. What does it mean, hanky-panky? And right now in California, you can go to, you know, a Planned Parenthood or whatever, and you don't need parental notification. So that was on the ballot, and that did not pass. It was very, very close. It's pretty apparent that California was split on that issue, but it did not pass in California. Now, an identical law passed back in 2003 in New Hampshire, and that's the issue that's heading to the Supreme Court this week, the parental notification. Now, what they're arguing to the Supreme Court in regards to New Hampshire is that this law, parental notification, puts an undue burden on a woman or a girl who is in the process of choosing to end a pregnancy.
So the reason that this is big news, first of all, any sort of abortion issue hasn't gone to the Supreme Court in the last five years. So that's just interesting, number one. And number two is that we have the new Supreme Court Chief Justice, John Roberts, in place now. And so this will kind of show how is the Supreme Court leaning. Are we going to have a conservative Supreme Court or are we going to have a liberal Supreme Court? So there are some of those answers probably will be answered before the end of the week. People will be on the end of their seats like we were waiting for the answers to what was going to happen to Terrell Owens. Well, wait. That's right. Okay. We'll all know soon. The Washington Post is claiming that by the end of the week, airport security across the nation is going to make some big time changes. Yeah. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, lady. Yeah, an inside source has told the Washington Post that the Transportation Security Administration, which is basically the agency in charge of all the security at the airport. All the dudes at the airport that are walking around with the blue jackets that say TSA and gold in the back. Exactly, yeah. So they're saying that on Friday that the TSA will make an announcement saying that they'll start allowing sharp objects back in your carry-on luggage. So things like scissors.
nail clippers and whatever. According to this inside source, they say that they're going to change their focus and focus on, you know, things that explode rather than sharp objects. They didn't specifically address lighters, but, you know, if this is all true and they make the announcement on Friday, I'm sure on Friday will happen. But, Sky, hold on. The only thing I'm concerned about is the lighters. Well, no, hold on. I get a valid point. Excuse me, Madam Sky. If I may. Yes, Miss Sky. I have a query for you. And it is thus. Okay. Because even if you got lighters. Vow be allowed to bring a vine lighter aboard a vine aeroplane. Yes. And wood dye lighting device. Not just any lighting device, a Red Sox lighter, and they took it from me. Yeah, they took my lighter too last time back.
Well, my guess, like I said, we'll find out on Friday, but my guess would still be a no on lighters because they say their main focus is things that explode, the shoe bomber. So a lighter could explode? Or you can light something that will explode. Well, then why are lighters not allowed but matches are? That's a good question. Matches are not allowed. Yeah, they're not allowed. That's not what the airport security guy told me. Are you sure, guys? I think... I think matches are allowed. I saw someone get their matches confiscated. He said to me, it's a new thing we're doing. Lighter's no longer allowed, but matches are. I've had matches taken from me when I was trying to smuggle them on board. Make up your mind. Ashley's a liar. No, I'm not a liar, Sean. Oh, you should have seen Ashley's face when you said that. She got this like... Like Ashley... Ashley... For your information. Why would I make that up? Hang on. Jerkhead. Immediately angry. Sad you have to lie for attention, but it's okay. Shut up. So dumb. Now, how about this? A bunch of people are calling in about this. Mikey Show. I have a comment about the lighters and the matches. Please. Yeah, they're...
They take them both away, but when you get in through past security, you can just go into the bar and grab matches. They've got them at the bar? How crazy is that? Oh, how dumb they are. I love this country. It's kind of retarded. Gosh, darn. You guys are great. All right, thank you. That's awesome. You're great. F-ing idiots. P1 Fred. Hey, another. crazy thing. It's PSA. They're taking away the explosives, but it was no explosives involved in 9-11. It was only Sharp Objects. I understand that, but after 9-11... Another great point. But after 9-11, there was that Yahoo that was... Well, there was something that was attempted, but you see his point. Right. The days that everybody died was Sharp Objects. Measley Razors. That's who we're looking for when all the guys with Sharp Objects took over everything, and that's not what we're looking for. I don't get it. Oh, you're so smart. Makes a lot of sense. Yeah, I mean, what are we talking about? We're talking about fingernail clippers, right? I guess they have the little file that's kind of sharp. Right, but something they did state in, you know, according to their, well, there's not a list, but according to their source, they were saying things like scissors will be allowed.
Come on. I know. And to me, scissors are like a knife. It's very dangerous. So I don't know. This is all according to the Washington Post. Maybe it's those flat scissors that you cut construction paper and make little nice things with glue and paste. In kindergarten, the kind of scissors they give the kindergartners. You know why? Because most of us Americans need our scissors. Right. When we fly on a plane. When we travel. Yes. Because I can't tell you how many times I've been traveling and I thought to myself, I would really like to make a wreath right now. Yeah, when I travel, I crave making those string paper dolls that, you know, you cut the paper and then you open it up and there's like 15 paper dolls. How did you make the snowflakes? Yeah. Oh, yeah. The snowflakes are good to make on board Southwest. Good time. Can somebody tell those air waitresses on Southwest? Is that what they're called? I don't think they're called air waitresses. To quit singing? Hey. No, I don't. Uh-uh. No. You know what? You're the Grinch of airplanes. You know what? No, no. He's got a point. Can I tell you my Southwest story? Sure. Oh, I love it already. This air waitress starts singing to all of us. I don't think they're an air waitress. Stewardess, okay? Yeah, stewardess is politically incorrect, sweetheart. That would be incorrect as well. They'd like to be called. Flight attendant. Flight attendant.
Let's get it right. Let's get it right. Yes, I agree. Let's get it right. You're an air waitress. No, a flight attendant. You know all those stupid rules you give us when we're taking off? It's not their rules. Yeah, you plane maids. Yeah. Oh, shut up. No, we're more than just an air waitress. We're there for your safety. Oh, really? I've been flying 150 years. You've never been there for my safety. What's your complaint with their singing? I got iPods to listen to. I was trying to watch Lost on my iPod, and this dingbat on the flight that we took from Phoenix to San Diego. Oh, so this was recently. This was Thanksgiving, coming home. This dingbat is singing like, it was like, she was making up like a parody, which, by the way, she'd worked on. I'm sure. And she was singing some parody to I don't know what, some Christmas song. Nice. Like, here comes Santa Claus. Something like that. I don't know what. Sounds creative. Yeah, real cute. Can you shut up now so I can please watch Lost on my iPod? Hey. Same deal with the captain, his time to shine.
His time to shine is 15 minutes. I just want to let everybody know that the Salton Sea, which takes approximately 140,000 visitors per season, you know, sometimes the air temperature down there gets up to 124 degrees at times in the season. Shut up! And when they try and, like, be funny and tell jokes, if you look to your left, you'll see the Egyptian pyramids. I just wanted to see if you were paying attention. It just happened with everybody anyway. God, I love it. Not me. You know what's so great about it is that, you know, it keeps you entertained and it makes you laugh. I got an iPod. I got an iPod. Jeez.
You got a real bad vibe about these flight waitresses. You're that broad on the plane that is giggling when they're doing that. I love it. I love it. If I was flying with you, Ashley, I'd put my hand over your mouth just so you didn't encourage them to do it more. I'll be bummed out if they don't. Your laughter is making them want to do it. Oh, absolutely. The second I can tell it's a joker, because sometimes you get normal ones, I'm like, I'm all in. And then if they're being all serious, I'm bummed out. Do you give them a little congrats, too? No, I just, I'm busting up, like cracking up laughing. P1 Monica? Yes. Go ahead. I took a plane a couple months ago, and I had a zipper on me, and they took it from me, and they told me that I could use matches, and they said the reason is because they can smell the sulfur when you light a match. Oh, so it gives you away. Oh, gosh. Look who is not lying. Hmm.
Yeah, how about take that, Uncle Nana. Yeah, Sean, do you have anything to say to Ashley? Yeah, do you have anything to say to me? A little apology in order? Yes, I do. Please stop lying. That was not in the form of an apology. You misunderstood. Hey, what is this, the 850 we're in? Yeah, we need a break. We got a break. Have I been saying that all morning or what? Yes. All morning long. This is the talkiest talk show. Ever. God, don't we get tired of it? All the time. Gosh. Gosh, should that be our new slogan? Yeah, the talkiest talk show. Put that on a billboard. Why don't you guys shut up every once in a while with your talkie on the talk show? You walkie and talkie? He's out of his mind. Feel free to leave a message. Mikey. You're right. Rock 105.3. Rock 105.3 Traffic. Brought to you by Sleep Train Mattress Centers. This ride's been a tough one here this morning, man. We've got several new accidents to watch out for. There's an accident northbound 163. Just passed the 8-3-way car facing the wrong way in the Senate of 5.
That's got you slow and go here through this Balboa Park area. And then on the southbound of the 163, there's an accident near Park Boulevard here, slowly right in the opposite direction. North 805 and the 5 freeway out of the South Bay. Dude, still struggling heavily out of Chula Vista up to National City on both these freeways. 805 continues slow through North Park down in the Mission Valley. This was all due to an earlier accident near the 8 freeway here. And now some reduced speeds left over here from Claremont Mesa Boulevard up towards Governor Drive. Westbound 8, that is... Suffering, man, from Jackson Drive to La Mesa all the way in towards Texas and Mission Valley. Westbound 94 is improving a little bit. Now tight from Federal to the 805. Still going to find a few more breaklights into downtown. South by the 15 is all messed up now from Auto Parkway out of Escondido. And that continues slow and heavier pockets all the way down the stretch. from an accident declaring near Mira Mesa Boulevard. That caught up at the commute and made that one toast now. And the coaster ride, southbound 5, is still quite heavy here from La Costa all the way down and towards the racetrack at Del Mar. I'm Rick Lawrence on San Diego's rock station, Rock 105.3.

Welcome to the turd, everybody. Now back to the Mikey Show. And we're the turdy boarding show. Featuring Mikey. I wear women's underwear. As long as you say I'm handsome, I'm all right. Sky. Journalism at its finest. Sean. To be honest with you, I couldn't be more limp. Austin Rob. Who's that handsome devil? And Ashley. Every day I miss my mouth at least once in the morning. It's the Mikey Show. God, we're animals. On Rock 105.3. All right, welcome back to the show. It's a Mikey show at 915. Today we're going to see high temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. San Carlos is 58 right now in La Jolla. It's 63 degrees. All right, folks, welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. Welcome back. Your dreams were you to get out.
Okay. Welcome back. What's going on, Sean? To the same old place you laughed about. I'm scared. Welcome back, welcome back. No, no, no. So it's not okay for the stewardess. It's okay for Mikey. Welcome back. Great call, Ashley. Hypocrisy. That's right. Contradictacy. You know why? Nobody's trying to listen to their iPod right now. Say that thing. Penalty on the show. Ashley, illegal use of words. There you go. So, I want to play you the Boston Rob song that Flounder did. Because Boston Rob has a very funny New England accent. Nuh-uh. No, I don't there, Mike. What does daust mean? You can just park it. So, Flounder, who does a lot of stuff for us here on the show, wrote this song for Boston Robb. Wait a minute. I'm hearing a lot of different things. That's not my song. That's not it anymore. No, it's up top in the blue next to the other parodies. Oh, for crying out loud. Oh, my goodness. Heavens to Betsy. See how they're all color-coordinated. Yo, he's at war. He's at war with cleanism.
Yankeeism. Most of all, he's at war with himself. Mikey show him the way because his brain sort of let him down. You know what the Northeast is, where his peeps is, where the Red Sox. But if he want to get hooked, he should be hooked on funny. Not the chronic, never platonic. With the ladies with the rabies, yeah, that's just honor. Now he's growing out these dreads up there on his dirt dome. And talking like Englishmen with Down syndrome. Saying, hear ye, hear ye, I'll go get breakfast. The boy's life is an idol. The boy needs the Bible. But most of all, when he talks, the boy needs subtitles. And if Simon ever seen him on American Idol, he'd be like, B-Raw, you sound like such a fool. You should be like Billy Madison and go back to school. I know. B-Raw talks.
I like it. B-Rob talks funny. Kind of true, B-Rob. Hey, you know what I decided, Boston Rob? Oh, shoot. For today. You know, Eddie's not here today. You want me to do sports? No, no, no, no. No, I was thinking about when we do celebrity birthdays and you get punched. Oh, no. Is this guy going to hit me? He's off the hook today, huh? Yeah, well, actually, no. Because Eddie isn't here, we'll still have to do it. Is Bobby Colonels going to hit me? You got it. Oh, no! Are you kidding me? What are you talking about? Are you serious? I'm going to have Bobby Colonels do it. You're a bastard. That's baloney. That's awful. Yeah, I said it. Eddie's not here, Ashley. I heard it. Eddie's not here.
I'm speechless that you would do that to him. Excuse me. You're a bastard. But Eddie's not here. I don't care. Bobby Kernels? That's right. Following your train of thought, Mikey, with Eddie not here, wouldn't it then make sense for, like, you know, B-Rob to move up one rank and then Bobby Kernels would be in? I mean. Thank you. Well, I mean, I'm just trying to help. I don't understand the choice. I mean, granted, your way's much funnier. You just put Bobby Kernels right on the pedestal where Eddie was. How did you be, Rob? I think that's what we're going for. Go ahead, Sean. If I understand the genesis of this whole thing, it wasn't Bobby Kernels that opened his big fat mouth about knowing everybody's birthday. It was a certain dread loss. That's true. I believe it was Boston Rob who said, yeah, I'm pretty good at those birthdays there, Mike. So in my mind, he should stick to it. Well, not to brag, but yesterday, I think I got a couple right. He's bragging again. What are you talking about? I'm not bragging. I'm speaking facts. Saying that yesterday, and he's right. Did I not get? No, yesterday. And I was close to another one, so that's like one and a half. Well, there's no halves. Yeah. Well, whatever. Bobby Kernels is, like, not even strong. So, B, you have nothing to worry about.
It'll be like a vacation. Oh, boy. That's not very nice. Because his arms are puny and weak. Oh, you are making it worse. Isn't that your friend? What? Yeah, isn't Bobby Kernel's your friend? Hey, this is the Honest Show, right? I'm just being honest. Yes, it is, in fact, the Honest Show. I thought it was the talkiest talk show in San Diego. Yeah, it is. It's the talkiest talker. The talkiest Honest Show. Formerly known as the Mikey Show. That's right. That's what I'm doing. Okay. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, this is P1, Matt. Go ahead, Matt. Hey, I got a suggestion for B-Rob, man. Go ahead. Instead of him getting the punches, how about next time do Celebrity Birthday and he punches Eddie? Yeah, that's not as fun. Come on, man. Cut him a break. That's not as fun. Not to mention the fact that it's B-Rob that is supposedly the stunt boy of the Mikey show. Yeah. And official friend. That's right. Official friend of the Mikey Show. Look at that. How's everybody doing? Good? All right, great. Mikey Show, hello. Good job, everybody. I was wondering if you guys could play Kip's remake of 50 Cent. Yes, I will. Oh, yes. Oh, thanks. Yes, I will. Kip from Napoleon Dynamite, everybody. Hey, guys. This is Kip. Yeah, you know Kip from Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah. You mind if I spit some lyrics?

That's right, it's Kip. You thought it was 50? I like it.
You guys like that? He's sweet. Was that Kip? Yeah, let's hear you do Kip, Ashley. Kip and Ashley's studio? I heard him for a second. Well, it was Kip tonight. Then what? Yeah, go ahead. Then what? She does the worst voices I've ever heard in my life. I love it so much. It's amazing how bad they are. It is. It really is. Because you go, how did... Now, come on. I love him. She's got to be able to do it somewhat more, you know. So, Mikey. Oh, boy. And you know what? I was watching South Park the other day, and every time Cartman speaks now, you know who I think of. Ashley. Yes. Let's go get my chapstick. Let's go get my chapstick.
Why do you say that? Because every voice she does sounds exactly like Cartman? No, it doesn't. Everyone sounds like Cartman and talk like this. Oh, man. Okay? Obviously. Even her Cartman sucks. No, it doesn't. That's the weird thing. She does Cartman and it stops sounding like Cartman. You should do Clint Eastwood. That'll sound like it. Okay. You should. Yes. The next time you're trying to do Cartman, imitate Clint Eastwood. Hey, everybody. This is Clint Eastwood. We got to take a break. We'll be back. For like two seconds, all of a sudden I blacked out. I'm back, though. It's the Mikey Show on Rock 105.3. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show at 931. Today we're going to see high temperatures from the mid-60s to the low 70s. Ramona's 57 right now at the airport, 62 degrees. All right. They stole Gregory Peck's star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. What? Personally, I don't think that they were targeting Gregory Peck. You don't? No, I think they probably picked one. Oh, and just randomly it happened to be Gregory Peck? Yeah, I don't think somebody had a Gregory Peck agenda. But, I mean, if you're going to go to steal a star, like, you have a lot of options. Why Gregory Peck? Maybe Gregory Peck's had, you know.
Like it was loose. I don't know. Or there's like less security. Oh, less security. I don't think, I mean, and I could be wrong here. But I don't know that there are a lot of people out there that have a Gregory Peck thing. What? You don't? No. Oh, that's odd. Man. Especially when you consider that Ryan Seacrest has a star. Oh, that's true. Well, your voice just went real gay. That's right. Yeah, they say this is like the first time they've ever heard of any stars from the Walk of Fame disappearing. And they say that the estimated value of the star, like to resell it, is five grand. But they say it'll cost them seven grand to replace it, like to do the work to actually have it like set in the sidewalk or whatever. Maybe that's precisely what was stolen. It'll show up on The Price is Right. And Bob Barker will have people bid on it. Nice. So who knows? Anyway, it was stolen.
Hope they get it back. Yeah. Good luck, Gregory. I wonder what it takes to get on to the prices right. I guess you just have to have a ridiculously stupid outgoing personality. Now... You really have to jump up and down. Do you? I think that they screen everybody before the show starts. They do. And they talk to everyone. And then, you know, if they get a good vibe from you, then they'll make a note of it. Well, Eddie and I... We get chosen. Eddie and I have been to New York a few times, and we like to go see Letterman taped. We always get put up front. And it's because they do a pre-thing where they come and talk to you, and we act like retards. You're jackasses. Yeah. And they love us, and they put us up there. They're like, what are you guys' names, and where are you from? I'm Mikey. I'm Eddie. And we're from California. Oh, my God. That's so dumb. And they're like, oh, these guys are real excited. Let's put them up front. But that price is right. What kind of person does it take? What are they looking for when they're trying to spot a person that's good at guessing how much a can of tomato sauce costs? I don't know, but for the longest time, I wanted to go on that show so bad. Really? Yeah, like I knew the prices of everything. Put on a college sweatshirt and head to L.A. Yeah, so I don't know. I may give it a try. Actually. I think they tape now. You're shooing. I absolutely.
It's been like a goal of mine to be on The Price is right. I like watch that show religiously and... Why haven't you got everything they want? It's just laziness. Pretty. And I think that, you know, they do their stuff like the same time we're working. You know, like she would probably have to take a day off of her. What would I give to kiss Bob Barker on the cheek? Oh, give me a break. Yucky, yucky. Come on. You wouldn't really want to. Would you really want to do that? Yeah, I'd kiss him on the cheek. And I would give him a hug. Lecherous old drooling guy. Hey. Oh, come on. You've heard about the sex harassment suits from the different chicks that are on that show? Yeah. You didn't know that? Oh, yeah. The models. Not Bobby. Yeah, all those models. They say that he tried to get down their pants. Oh, yeah. I knew somebody that was on The Prices, right? Yeah. Had boxes of stuff in their garage that they won. Oh. I've known people that were on game shows. That's cool. Sean, do you have somebody in your family that was on a game show or no? Nope. Take some phone calls, and then we're going to replay some stuff. Hello? Yeah, go ahead. This is P1 Gavin. I was just curious if Sky could say poetry. Can you say that for him, please, Sky? Poetry? Yeah, she can say that. She can't say P-O-E-M. Oh, okay. I know she can't say that, but poetry, yeah.
I was just curious. Skye, do you hear what's going on when you say that word? No. Try one more time. Poem. You know there's an E in there. It's silent. No. No. It is, in fact, not a silent E. Huh? No. Well, then why is it poem? What? It's poem. Well, that's weird. Poem. Silent E in the middle of a word. That's right. It's a two-syllable word, not poem. Poem. Lookit, Ashley is now. I've been around the block a few times. English minors strapped me on a couple English classes. I know my grammar. I know my syllables. And if we need to meet after the show, I can teach you. There you go, Sky. I go to the theater and then to the buffet. All right. Okay. I think you said buffet is what you said. Yeah. Mikey's show. Yeah, I was just calling to say how to get on to the prices right. How do you do it? How do you do it? Well, back in school, one of my teachers was on The Price is Right back in the 80s, and she said they picked people out by the color of T-shirt that they wear. Like, she wore a big black and white polka-dotted shirt. They have to have, like, an obvious-looking T-shirt or top so they could find them in the crowd easy. Huh. Hmm. That was back in the 80s. Something to do with it. Maybe it's changed. All right, thank you.
My brother was on a show back in the 80s called Real People. Excuse me? Oh, I remember that. Remember that? I do not remember that. Stupid show. What was the premise? Fran Tarkington was one of the people that hosted. Excuse me? Along with Kathie Lee. Gifford? No. Kathie Lee Crosby. I don't know who any of these people are. This was back when Nicholas was popular on 8 is Enough. So what was the premise of the show? I say that because all three of them had haircuts like Nicholas. Did you say John Davidson too? I did not, but yes, John Davidson was on there. Oh man, Sky, this is so before your time. What's the premise of the show? Real people showed little stories of hometown America. Right, Sean? Yeah, there was some of that. It was mostly just people doing very unusual things. Right. So what was your brother's deal? He got to get up and tell a joke. And that's unusual? Yeah. Before the show would really get rolling, they'd have people in the studio audience stand up and tell a joke. Oh. And they gave him the joke. Oh, man. And it was horrific, man. I'm sure. It was horrific. Good times. And he was really into it. All right. Want to hear this? Yeah. Reality Bites from earlier? Check it out.
TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV, TV. Let me tell you, friends, I know your show. Shut up. They spend a lot watching TV, but they're not digging what they see in TV shows. Reality Bites. Yeah.
I am specifically told not to alter them in any way, and then I just read verbatim what is sent to me. But somehow they always come out changed. Well, it's not me. Well, Eddie is not here today, and so Ashley. This is awesome. Ashley has written them. Actually, I've read before I even allowed this. What? I'm Sean.
Oh, okay. Always, forever. Okay, all right. Sing it, Kip. Get back to the game. Well, see, the technology of being able to text message is what has really taken Reality Bites to the next level. You know why, Sky? Why? Because I love technology. Okay, all right. That's great. But not as much as the sky you see. Hey, no. No, we're not doing that right now. We're doing reality bites right now. That's what we're doing. Holy thing forever. It's Mvote. It's 6-8-6-8-3. Okay. It's the number you're texting it to. Uh-huh. And what you're going to text to us is what show. Yeah. So you text the word show, S-H-O-W space 1.
Two or three. Got it. Whatever show you like, two M votes. The show that brought you last year's winner, Boston Rob, will be looking once again to find a giant scumbag. Do you have what it takes to lie to girls just to get them into bed? Will you make yourself look as ugly as possible, even if you are a good-looking guy? How many VDs can you possibly spread in one night? Well, if this gross description describes you, then you, too, can be like Boston Rob and become the American Dirtbag. There you go. Don't forget, producers will be looking up your police record, so you better have at least one DUI on it. So get Filthy America and become the American Dirtbag. There you go. There you go. Now, if you like that one, at the end of this, you can text us. You would text SHOWSPACE1, because that's the first one. What's SHOW2?
To M-Vote. To M-Vote. All right. And reality show idea number three is War of the Curls. War of the Curls. Nice. Man.
Part reality show, part game show, and part peep show. It's War of the Curls. Oh, no. Five Earth Mama Granola Girls compete to see who can grow the most pubic hair. Oh, God, no. I didn't need a good hair. No. No. Ew. Watch each week as these razor haters fill their baggy hair with as much... As much crotch shavings as possible. Come on. If you like furry thighs and hairy chick pits, you'll love A War of the Curls. It's nothing but wooly women and fuzzy females to satisfy your unshaven cravings. Yes. It's all the bushy babes and bewhiskered bitches your sick effing minds can handle. Oh, my God. If stubby sluts and fluffy fillies are your thing, then be sure to catch these unshorn hair factories on War of the Curl.
Oh, my God. Some decorum. Yes, please. I'm only halfway done with this. No, you're not. Are you kidding me? What? As a final reminder, it's all super pubes, shag carpets, buckwheat headlocks, and downy groin pillows on War of the Curls. Just to make double sure you understand, we have 70s style crotch cuts, billowy strands of lady cotton, and thick ass armpit dreadlocks. Get it? Okay, we get it. Posted by me, Skye. Because I have them all beaten in the hairy legs and shaggy underarms department. So much so, it would be unfair for me. to even compete. They would not stand a chance against my primate-like calves. Oh, my. Wait a minute. Skye, you're saying this right now on the air? In big, puffy armpit thickets. Oh, my gosh. I am super hairy, and I don't shave at all. Wait a minute. This is a statement by me, Skye, because it's so unbelievably true.
All right. That is War of the Curls. Now, Skye, why would you say these things on the radio? Well, because one of you jackasses wrote that whole entire monologue for me to read. Wait a second. Oh, my God. I think there was some creative license taken there. Yes, obviously. All right. Now, Skye, run down the reality show. Now, if you liked that one, now you can start texting us. If you liked the first one, you would text show space one. So, American Dirtbag. Show Space One. That's right. If you liked the second one, what is it, Skye? Darko Polo. If you liked Darko Polo, you would text Show Space Two to M-Vote. And if you liked War of the Curls, you would text Show Space Three to M-Vote.
So a quick recap, American Dirtbag is American Idol style looking for the biggest dirt bag. B-Rob, last year's winner, of course. Right. Reality show number two, Darko Polo, black guys in a swimming challenge. Yes. Very interesting. Yes. And reality show idea number three is War of the Curls, a show with women who don't like to shave. All right. Now, we are looking on the computer to all the text votes that are coming in right now. Right. And we are going to factor those in. with 10 phone calls. Are we ready? Yep. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? Darko Polo. Hang on. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? American Dirtbag. Mikey Show, which one do you want to vote for? Second one. Right. Our winner today is P1 Anthony for picking Ashley and War of the Curl. could not believe that when I read it. She's just going along with the style that has been written in the past. That's all she's doing. I gotta make the competition good. Sky, come on. You know I shave, Ashley. Come on, Sky. It's okay. We gotta take a break. We gotta take a break. We'll be back. I wanted to tell Mikey about Sleep Train. I got a deal there that will be anything I've ever heard on the radio, ever. You're the best. Oh, that's awesome. Yeah, dude. Sleep Train's great. What did you get? What kind of mattress? Okay, Simmons Beauty Rest. Isn't that what you have, Sky? Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Simmons Beautyrest. It was a $6,000 mattress they gave to me for half price. Whoa. That's awesome. And they threw in pillows, a sheet set, a bed frame, and a mattress pad. Word. What? For free. That's the way it goes at Sleep Train. That's true. Oh, I bet it's so freaking comfortable. Like a cloud. Oh, I want it. Salt in the wound, Mikey. I know it's salt in the wound because I don't have my sleep train mattress right now. It's in storage. I'm sleeping on a tomb. I'm sorry? Who's this? This is Mikey. Oh, Mikey, hey. I didn't know I was talking to you. Sorry. That's all right. But yeah, it's a Simmons Beautyrest. They even broke down the difference between the best ones and the lower end ones. And I guess the only thing better is what you got is a Stearns and Foster. I love it. But...

You can text in and vote for Do You Sound Hot? And Reality Bites. I know sometimes it can be hard to get through on the phone lines. That's why this way way more people can play. You text in 68683. That's 68683, which spells M-VOTE, and vote. And during the game, I'll give you directions on how to do it. It's really fun. Only 50 cents, and you can vote as often as you'd like. Don't spend a fortune with it on voting, but have fun with it. It's Mikey. Ah, there you go. Hello. Hello. For KIOZ San Diego. Who were those people that were in there? They were job shadows from a high school, and they wanted to come around and see. Who were they shadowing? They're shadowing Shelly. Aw. Isn't that cute? That is cute. That's cute. Oh, how cute. So I was just showing them my job, you know, and how things work. How you throw it down? Handle the biz. That's right, girl.
I've been smoking cigarettes every now and then. Hey, Chris Cornell is suing his ex-wife and manager. Turns out... Hold your horses. Back it up. Hey, now, sir. I don't know if you know this. Chris Cornell's ex-wife... How dare you? F off. F off. Hold. Thank you. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute, lady. Sending you a cease and desist. Thank you. All right, I'd rather get it over with. I would like to discuss this early. What did you just say? Please, let's get it over with. Let's do this as quickly as we possibly can. There are many questions I would like to ask. Go ahead, please. Okay, before you begin, can I just say, just so that I say it, and then maybe you don't even have to ask. I'm a monster, okay? I'm a horrible, monstrous human being. No, you're not. No, you're not. There, it's out there. Do you still have questions? You say that about yourself. Well, it's true, Ashley, but the point here is, no, you're not a monster. You're just very self-destructive. Okay. Listen, I didn't, okay, I'll tell you why. Yes. Why? How many times? How long? My wife has started smoking.
And I've been telling her, please don't do that. It's very difficult for me to be around it. Please stop it. Please. And how long has this been going on? A long time. Oh, okay. And it is very difficult for me to be around it. Understandable. Yes. So I'm smoking again. How often? Yeah. What are we talking? What's the frequency, Kenneth, for a day? The frequency is about two to three cigarettes a day. And I don't smoke the whole cigarette. Because it bothers me to smoke the whole cigarette. Okay. What is your plan of action? What is your thoughts on this? Are you going to become a full-time smoker again? Here's the deal. I can't smoke with her smoke. I mean, I can't not smoke with her smoking. Right. I can't. Well, you could, but it's too hard for you. No, it's hard. It's too difficult. I'm an addict. It's technically possible, but... It's technically possible. I know myself. I tried.
Yeah. When I found out that she was smoking, I tried and I was trying not to smoke. So doesn't she want to stop in so she doesn't kill you? Oh, no. Put you in an early grave. All right. All right. So what is your plan? I'm only asking. What's your plan of attack, Mikey? I want to get I want to try to get her to quit. You know, I even thought this morning of trying to hypnotist for her. You know what I mean? Oh, can they stop coming in your studio when we're on the air? I swear. Was that Shelly? No, it was. I don't know. Who is that? I think it might have been Dana, but she just opened my door and then left. Open the door, Skye, and ask who they are and what they are. There's a sign out there, too. So people are just inconsiderate, I guess. Who are they, Dana? Come on in. Who are they, Dana? More shadowers. What's a shadower? Let's find out. Hey, did you want to meet my job shadow kids for today? What is that?
They're from high schools, and they sign up to be able to come in and see what we do here all day. Let me ask you guys a question. Go over to the microphone. Let me ask a question. Let me try to expel a myth. I don't believe that a lot of kids... You're in high school? You might want to dispel it, too. Oh, shush. I'm only saying. Dispel a myth for me. You're in high school, right? Yeah. I don't believe a lot of high schoolers listen to this show. In fact, I would be willing to... How many there are you? There's two others over there. So there's four of you? Yeah. I believe of the four of you, one of you may have heard of The Mikey Show. I heard of it. You have. Me too. You've heard of it? I bet all of us have heard of it. Yeah, should we drag Shelly's down here too? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's get a poll. See, because I was convinced that high school kids are not interested in this program. It's an interesting poll. Mm-hmm. I don't think high school kids cared. They probably don't, but you've heard of it. You should probably send me out there and I can do speeches at high schools. Okay. No. That's okay. If we put you in a long-sleeved shirt and cut that hair, we might think about it. So do they listen? I don't know. I don't know. Do you listen to the show, Courtney? Yeah. How old are you? 16. Man. How old are you guys? How old are you guys? I'm 17. 17? Yeah. Raise your hand if you've heard of the Mikey show. Well, son of a bitch. Yeah. I'll have. Really? Yeah, I didn't think they would. Wow. Yeah, I just didn't really think they'd know it. Did you guys listen to it? Yeah.
Before school. You guys aren't supposed to be listening to this. We'd say stuff sometimes that's controversial for kids. Oh, shut up. Oh, come on, Sky. Yeah, Mikey. No, I know, but I mean. My mom said it was all right for me to listen to it. What age, Sky? What age is it okay? You know, I mean, seriously, me, my personal thought, 41, 42. Probably the starting age to start listening to the show. What is it? What is a shadow? Explain to me what a shadow is. What are you guys doing? We follow a worker. Talk in the microphone. Yeah, talk in the microphone. We follow, like, one of these internees or whatever. Oh, wow. I'm just kidding. No, she's, like, an actual worker. That's nice. You follow her around, and do you guys get to ask questions and stuff like that? You know, this gal here is a very well-respected person in the building. Seriously. See, if I were following around, I wouldn't know that. I would just think, oh, it's a young, pretty girl, but I don't know that she, you know, is important to the place. She helps the place tick.
Seriously. She showed us already. Yeah. You showing them cool stuff, Shelly? Yeah. Courtney, what is the class? What class are you guys in? What is this, the class that has you guys shadow? It's not really a class. It's like a program. And what school? School? Escondido. Oh, Esco High. Hi, what up? Escondido. Holler. Escondido is cool. All right. Well, I just wanted to take an impromptu poll of you guys. And see, what do you guys think of this place? It's pretty sick. Yeah? You like it? Not me, I'm going to be honest with you. I don't really care for it. You know, the first time I saw you, I was kind of scared. Really? Yeah. Why, because the billboard, like the billboard in me looks real kind of evil. Yeah. I'm really not. I was on the road. I never saw him before. The first time I saw you, I thought the same thing. That's what I always do every morning. No, but I'm a nice guy. You just, you got to get to know me. But anyway, back to this building.
You guys know what kind of, you know, see, you should have me teaching stuff. Go, Mikey. You know what kind of a turd big radio is? Say it with me, kids. What kind of a turd big radio is? I'm telling you, everybody thinks that working in radio is the greatest thing in the world. Ugh, this building. How many radio stations are in this building? How many radio stations are in here? Eight stations? There's eight stations. Let me, I'm going to teach you guys, okay? If you ever think about getting into radio. First of all, make sure that if you get into radio, that if Jeff and Jer are going to come into the building, that you allocate time from the engineers before they come into the building to have the things done that you want to have done. You know what I'm saying, kids? Otherwise, what you'll have is a chief engineer that goes, what are you talking about, Mikey? I don't have time. I'd like to be able to do that, except I got four monitors I got put in by tomorrow. You have that. And you go,
What do I care about those four monitors? I need a talkback is all I want. Tell him. You'll tell him that, and I'll say that to you. I got to go to the transmitter in Temecula. And then you'll wonder, why does he sound like Charles Nelson Riley? What's going on? What's that, Dana? Say it in the microphone. I think the kids can tell you, too. My office is like 115 degrees today. Yesterday, refrigerator. Today, hot. It's ridiculous. There's no control for it. We can't find it. Yeah, that's because Lewis and Clark are exploring the new side of the building, designing new things every day, putting up new walls that weren't there the day before. Oh, look, a toilet. Nice place to build a new amphitheater. Well, I hope that you guys have enjoyed looking around Clear Channel San Diego. This is the way big market radios run. It's really cool. If you guys go into the office, they'll take you into the office and you guys can have anything in skies already that you want. They go through their personal belongings. We like to do like a little public thing for the kids. We love the kids, so we like to do for you guys. What grade are you guys in? 16's junior, right? Any seniors? Junior, seniors? Seniors. What do you guys want to do? Courtney, what do you want to do with your life when you're out of high school? Are you going to college? You're going to college? Yeah. Where are you going to go? SDSU. And what do you want to study?
I don't know. You don't know yet? What is it, Joey? Joey, what do you want to do? Probably going to go to community college and get my AA. Okay. I want to make a million dollars. That's cool. I do, too. I want to drive a Lamborghini. I'm in, bro. I'm in. How about you? What's your name? Matt. I was thinking about going to music production. Matt, why did they put Matthew on your thing? Not too sure. They used to do that to me, too, bro. My name is Mike, and they would put Michael. It would drive me nuts. There you go. You're Matt. It's okay to be Matt. Adults. Grown-ups out there thinking he's got to be Matthew. No, you don't. You're Matt. I'm Mike. I have to go by Mikey, which is a longer name. And what do you want to do? I want to do music production. That's awesome. Like what? Pretty much anything. I wanted to start with studio engineering. Yeah? Going to music production. You can go to the lab with Boston Rob. Yeah. And you can do some of the stuff that Boston Rob does in the lab. He does some great stuff. Sweet.
How about you? What is your name? Marquez? Marcus. It's supposed to be an S. But it's Marcus. Wow. Go up to the microphone, Marcus. What do you want to do? Actually, I don't know. I was going to go to school first and then study video production or something. That's cool. You guys all look so smart. That's cool. No, Joey's shaking his head no, but I bet you are. I bet you guys are smart. You know, it's so funny. I was thinking about high school kids now. And like how lame, I can say this with all honesty, how lame it was when I was a kid. Like it was lame, man. Like seriously, we didn't have email. Isn't that gay? Like when you think about it, when I went to high school, I graduated in 88, which by the way, I didn't really graduate. I say that out of insecurity. I got a GED. Never do that unless you're really, unless one of you plays guitar really well and then you can do that. But if you don't stay in school, right, Skye? That's right, Mike. But when I was in school, there was no such thing as email. So if you wanted to talk crap about other students like you guys do on email now, you had to do it through notes, which was real lame. You know what I mean? Email has changed everything we do. Everything we do. You can get in trouble now by email. You can go to jail by email. You can do things that can get you in great deals of trouble, and you can make millions of dollars through email. It's really great.
All right, you guys. Well, listen, best of luck to you. I hope the other radio stations are cool to you. And keep in contact with me through email. And let me know how you're all doing in life. Now I feel like I have an emotional investment in Courtney, Joey, Matt, and Marcus. All right? All right. I love you back. What do you think of that? I love you back. I love you back. Can I give you a hug? Yeah. Yeah, come over here. Don't squeeze me really hard. Don't squeeze me really hard. Oh, this is so sweet. You've been hugging a lot of people today, haven't you? Have you hugged more people than me? Are you being a hug whore? He smells like pretty girls' perfume, like you've hugged girls. I know that rap. Hey, there you go, Boston Rob. That's your new thing. How you doing, sweetheart? How about a hug? All right, guys. Thank you very much.
It's Joey. I'm taking a picture. That's nice. All right. And for the luxury of being able to come in and learn, I get that camera. All right, guys. I'm just kidding. All right. Thanks a lot, guys. See you later. It's a bunch of high school students from Escondido. Yeah. How do you know about that? Stop it. I do, man. How did I know that was coming? I do. No. I used to be. Yeah, I know. Oh, shut up. What? You're wrong. Silly. All right. You did good, Mikey. I was proud of you. What do you mean I did good? What did you think I was going to do, urinate on the floor when they were in here? Well, crazier things have happened. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, it's P1 Web. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking I thought that the girls were going to be real pretty or something, right? Hey, hey. Sky. There was some in the hallway. Could have happened. You didn't get to see. What's that all about, Boston? What's that all about?
I have, like, this radar thing on me. I can't help it. I'm sorry. Listen, if my daughter is, before she's 18 years old, grows breasts, I'm going to tape them down. Stop that. I'm going to take electrical tape, and I'm going to tape them down like pancakes. And you know what happens when you do that? Makes a lot of cleavage. Oh, boy. Mm-hmm. Nike show. Yeah, can I speak about Nike smoking? Yes. Oh, I thought we were past. Oh, that's right. Thank you, sir. You're back to smoking. Come on. Hey, Mikey. I just stopped smoking yesterday. How dare you, sir. If I can do it, you can do it. Thanks. See, he did it. You forgot all about it. I totally forgot. I would have gone home today, and it had probably been like 5 o'clock tonight. I'd have been like, God damn it, that Mikey. So what's your plan of attack, dude? My plan of attack is to get her to quit with me. Hypnotize her. So it has to be a group effort. I can't do it if she's smoking in the house. I'm telling you. She doesn't smoke in the house. Well, what if she says to you, no? She won't. I know she wants to. I know it. I know it. I just wanted to get it out of the way with you. In the year 2005, you have quit and started smoking three times. Oh, I was done for long periods of time. Three separate times. Just in this year, you have quit and then started smoking again. You know, it makes my voice a lot deeper. That's true.
Does great things for my voice. Very rich. It's just that eventually it'll make it so that I come in and go, Hi, how are you? Hi, everybody. I had to have an operation. Welcome to the Mikey Show. Starring McGuette. Mikey Show. Hi, this is Laura. I wanted to tell Mikey about Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin, I know all about it. Unfortunately, that takes the lead right out of the pencil. Yeah, I tried to stop smoking. It totally took the rage away. You don't have a pencil, sweetheart. You don't have a pencil. I do. And it takes the lead right out of the pencil. Yeah, Skye got it. You guys didn't get it. Skye got it. I got you now. Well, Buterin takes the lead out of the pencil. Well, what about your girlfriend, though? Your girlfriend could actually go ahead and do that with a pad. Actually, I'll be honest with you. My girlfriend has. My wife hasn't. Oh, wait. That's the problem. My girlfriend's fine with it. Okay. Your wife. Your wife. Thank you. Horrible. That Welbutrin is supposed to make you not have such crazy cravings. What is it, a pill? It's a pill. Ugh. Yeah. I don't trust that. That's right.
Why? Are we learning something new right now? Yeah, why? A pill that takes away cravings? You're saying you're fine with that? All of a sudden, there's got to be some funky stuff in that pill. Well, I mean, how is that any different from a pill that, I don't know, like, stops disease? There's got to be some funky stuff going on there, too, Mike. To be honest, I don't really take pills or aspirin or nothing like that, so. Then what are you talking about? Well, wait, so do you not take pills because you're skeptical about what's in them? Certain ones. Like? I don't take aspirin. I won't. No, wait, wait, wait, wait, Boston Rob. Are you talking aspirin or Tylenol? Either. I don't take anything. He doesn't take things in pill form. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Is that true? You don't take anything in pill form? Don't do a bit with me. No, no, no. Tell me the truth. I've taken like the diet pills in pill form.
Wait a minute. So he won't take aspirin, but he'll take that stuff that jacks you up. Stuff that's not regulated by the FDA. I have taken that before. And vitamin C. Those are the only two things I'm taking a pill for. And other than that. Why do you not take Tylenol if you have a headache? Well, first of all, Mike, I don't get headaches. No, I do. And I just, I'll drink like tea or something. Drink water. Yeah, or water. I got a huge thing. Why? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you think, like, something bad is going to happen? Do you think there's something that's, like, tampered with, with the medication? Do you, like, I don't. No, I think because it works, and then I would just rely on it. I've seen people that always need aspirin or fiend for aspirin to get a headache, and most of the time I just work through. You've met a lot of people addicted to aspirin. Well, not addicted, but. Always need a bottle, and I've never... Always need a bottle. You know what I'm saying. Oh, God, where's my buffering? Oh, where's my buffering? I'm fainting. I get sketchy about over-the-counter stuff. I really do. I agree with B-Rob. I'm the same way. Oh, come on. You take Tylenol or whatever, don't you? Uh-uh. Nope. I do not take Tylenol for sure, for sure. And I don't take... Like, if I have a cold, then I will drink a lot of water and tea. I don't take any medication. What about birth control pills?
I take birth control. I don't take those. But I don't take any self-medicating pills. So you take a birth control pill, which does crazy stuff to your body. It tricks your body. I mean, I'm not saying it's bad for you. I'm not saying it's bad for you. I'm just saying if we're talking about things that do bizarre things to your body, that birth control pill makes your body think it's pregnant. But I don't do any type of self-medicating things for when I'm sick or for when I'm feeling this way. But haven't I given you stuff before? Mm-mm. Have you come in here before and been like, oh, where's Tylenol? I can't take Tylenol. Boston Rob, back to you. What is it about Tylenol? If you had a headache right now and offered you Tylenol, what would be your reasoning for not wanting to take it? You would think that maybe you would become reliant on it? Yeah, that and... There is something that scares me about it. Just the whole Tylenol, all of a sudden you take it and there's no headache. That whole thing sketches me out. Now, you realize that's called medicine. That's medication. And that's what medicines do. They have an effect on your body that make you feel well. See, I do the natural. You take tea? Yeah. I'll drink tea or water or juice. Jägermeister.
Or Jager. Are there other pills that you won't take? What about antibiotics? Yeah, I don't. It sounds like Mikey. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. He says he's taken, like, supplements and vitamin C. Like, that's a list of what he's taken in his lifetime. You know for a fact that if he gets, like, a sinus infection or a bronchial infection, he's going to take erythromycin or... My father always used to tell me or give me, like, stuff that would clear up whatever. And I literally, I still have empty boxes at my house of like Sudafedra. I mean, full boxes unopened at my house of like Sudafedra or whatever. And I just don't take it and I'll drink. I'll do like natural stuff like teas, herbs, all that stuff. Echinacea doesn't work. And in your opinion. No, I take Echinacea tea and then these like drops. You realize, you realize that the New England Journal of Medicine just released a report. Very reliable. That said Echinacea doesn't do nothing. It doesn't do anything. To each his own, because when I take my drops of echinacea in my water, that's what makes me feel better. When I was, like, deathly sick, I didn't take one medication. When I was deathly sick, like, two weeks ago, I didn't take one medication pill. What do you do, Boston Rob, if you have an infection? I literally, I rely on vitamins.
Honestly, I do. So if you've had a bronchial infection, a sinus infection, or whatever infection... I mean, I guess if it got really bad, I would have to. Right. You know, but that's not my first route. I'm not one of those people that, you know, oh, I feel something coming on. Oh, give me Cipro, man. I don't care what... Give me the strongest antibiotic you got. Yeah. And see, that can cause you problems later in the line. Yeah, I know, yeah, yeah. Well, if you were to... The first thing I do is I go to, like, GNC, like those... Whatever it is, the natural herbs or vitamins, that's the stuff I take. Oh, man, I'm not buying any of that. Anything else, I don't do. I just feel like it's going to affect my body some way. I do horrible things to my body. Especially, Ashley, when the New England Journal of Medicine is saying that's a bunch of hooey. Just because one source said it's about you? It's the New England Journal of Medicine. You can say that it's the Harvard Journal of Medicine, and I'm still not one to be convinced. Echinacea, for me, has always been a beneficial way to help me feel better. And I take it in the drops, and I take tea, and it's perfect. And vitamin C, and water, and sleep. Mikey Show. Hey, how's it going? Mikey on web. What's up?
Hey, I'm Strictly Herbal. I'm with B-Rub. Yeah, I know what kind of herbal you're talking about, buddy. Mikey Show, hello. Yeah, I just wanted to make a comment about the Welbutrin thing, man. Yeah? I actually took it when I quit smoking, man. It worked like a charm, dude. My pencil had, like, plenty of lead, bro. Well, aren't you virile? Aren't you a virile young man? I am. I'm pretty sturdy. Just got to keep in the right frame of mind. All right. Awesome. That's right. Congratulations. Yeah. You are hard wiener, man. Sounds pretty sweet. Mikey Show. Mikey, this is Boston Rob's liver calling. Hi, Boston Rob's liver. He's killing me, Mikey. I know he is. He's so thirsty. I know. He's lying to you, Mikey. He's lying? What does he say?
He's giving me all kinds of stuff. He's hurting me. I'm drowning. That sucks. Shut up, you. Thank you, Boston Rob's Liver. That was Boston Rob's Liver. Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey, this is P1J. Go ahead. Yeah, I got a kind of, I'm an herbalist. This guy's a feminist. And a herbalist. And a herbalist. And a herbalist, yeah, okay. You can take green tea and take green tea in big quantities and it will help you quit smoking. Thank you. That's so dumb. Why is that dumb? It's just hooey. Come on. It's hooey. You're hooey. I think it's hooey. Go back to hooeyville. Hey, listen. Give me some of that stuff and it cures me. I'll be all in on you.
Well, you won't even try it. You call it Huey. No, I will. I'll try it. I've done it before. You called it Huey Lewis in the news right out of the gate. Yeah, and it was... You didn't even give it a try. It was... Total Huey. I used to tell my friend Amy used to try to get me to drink, you know, that... What is that stuff that looks like grass that they sell at Jamba Juice? Wheat germ? Yeah, whatever. Wheat grass? Wheat grass. Stuff is dumb. It's all mental. It's a bunch of Huey. This is a good Huey song. You're telling me. Very topical. Hey. That was topical, dude. Yeah. Want a new drug? Hey, check this out. I'm going to play this song for you. This is Huey Lewis singing, and I want you to tell me who he's singing with. Big one. This is a cover tune. Sky. Stating facts. How do you know that Huey? News girl states facts. How do you know? Sources. Anyway. Tell me who Huey's singing with here. Remake. Smokey Robinson. I didn't know this answer.
I know a lot of people in our audience know, and maybe you, because you know stuff. The kids. Let me ask the kids. I love this song. Me too. Great song. Don't be confused. Would you guys like to take a guess? The kids, the young kids. Would you guys, Boston, Rob, and Ashley, like to take a guess of who that female is? I already know. Okay, if you know, then forget it. I think I know, too. You do? Boston, Rob, who is it? Because they play this in, like, Macy's and stuff. Who is it, Boston, Rob? Cameron Diaz? No. Don't say. Don't say. What happened? Well, I had to flip them off for that one. This is the Macy's version then. I've heard this. It's the Macy's version. I bought this CD just for this version of the song, and then when I found out who it was, I was really irritated. I was like, I just bought that. I'm shocked you didn't know. No, I didn't know. Yeah. That's Gwyneth Paltrow. From the movie. That's who it is. It's the same person.
Practically. Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow. Yes. You are mentally retarded. That's true, Mikey. That's an accurate statement. Thank you. No, Mikey. All right, should we do this thing? Yeah, let's do it and get out of here. Let's do it and get out of here. Celebrity birthday. And Bobby Kernels is going to give you the punches. I'm going to be on the money. Bobby Kernels is playing the role of Eddie today. That's right. The role of Eddie is being played by Bobby Kernels. Awesome. You are Eddie's understudy. Yes. Okay, who should we start with? Let's start with Billy Idol. Boston Rob for punches. Okay. You got this one, B. I think so. You know what? I don't know if I have this one. This is a tough one because you want to go real old. Oh, just guess already. 47. I'm going to say that he is 51. I don't know. Bobby Kernels. I'm going to say 48.
Ashley. You got to guess right around me. The 50-year-old Billy Idol. The 50-year-old Idol, I think, is what you were trying to say. Hold on, hold on. Take two. Yeah. The 50-year-old Idol. Okay. Go ahead, Skye. Well, you are correct, Ashley. Billy Idol is 50 today. Three punches for the whistle. Come on. Come on. Delivered by Bobby Kernel playing the part of Eddie. Bobby Kernel, don't take it easy. Are you left-handed? Yeah. Okay. All right, here we go. Two, three. Wow, Colonel. I love it. Colonel's talking a punch. Nice. I cannot believe this. Oh, that was the best. That is very cool. That was the greatest. All right, Clay Aiken. I will say he is turning 28. Boston Rob. 26. What's up with that face? Yeah. No, that really hurt my brain. You look sick or something. When he said 28, that threw me off. Bobby Kernels.
25. Ashley. 30. Clay Aiken is 27 today. What did I say? Somebody said 26 and somebody said 28. I said 28. But no one said 27. Good job. Stupid. Thanks, Boston Rob. Dick Clark. Oh, jeez. Boston Rob for punches. You got this, B. Hey, B-Rob. No, not OC. I know who he is. Oh, you do? The count guy. He's on the OC. Yeah, Marissa's new boyfriend, right? Yep. He is... Broke up with Summer. Yep, works at the bait shop. Go with your instinct. I don't even watch the OC, so that doesn't affect me. Go ahead. Go with your instinct. Oh, I'm so cool. I don't even watch the OC. Yeah. I'm into cooler things. Surprisingly, he's only 68. Not surprisingly, you're dumb. What? He is... 74. Oh. Bobby Kernels. I'm going to say older. I'm going to say like 78. Ashley. What did I guess again? 78, you guessed. 68. Are you sure? Yeah, I'm sure. I'm sure. All right, I'm going to go 67. Dick Clark is 76 today. So I'm pretty close, right? So you're 8 off. You get 8.
I thought I said 77. Well, no, you said 68. Are you sure? You add 8 to that. Who's keeping track? I am. It's written right here. Go ahead, Bobby. Make them quicker. 8. Got 8 to go. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. That is so awesome. He has like the biggest grin on his face when he punches. This is so awesome. You remember the first time I came in and did celebrity birthdays and I had that grin? Yeah. It was the same grin. I know it. Wow. Well, I'm really bummed that our friend Eddie isn't here today because today is Alicia Cuthbert's birthday. Alicia Cuthbert. Cuthbert. Cuthbert. Whatever. One of his favorite gals. Today's her birthday, huh? That's right. I will say she is turning 28. 26. Bobby Kernels. 25. This is a chick that was in The Girl Next Door. She's on 24. She's played Jack Bauer's daughter. Oh, I love her. Go ahead, Ashley. It's probably already guessed, so I'm just going to take a shot in the dark and say 27. She's so funny. What did I say?
I don't know. But you're all wrong. She is 23 today. I was going to say that. Oh, my God. How's that? She's that young? Yeah, I knew it. She's your age. That infuriates me. It makes me feel inflatable. It makes you feel what? My thing just changed. All my buttons. There, it's back. For the record, Ashley's inflatable. Is that what she said? Yes. Penalty on the show. Ashley, illegal use of words. Makes me want to do bigger things. Oh, okay. And our final celebrity birthday is Ben Stiller. Oh, I don't like him at all. Ah, Boston Rob for punches then. I thought you didn't like, what's his face? Who? The fever pitch guy. Fallon. Jimmy Fallon? Yeah. Yeah, that wannabe. I don't like him neither. So you hate both of them. Yes. For the record. Okay. Don't like him neither. All right. All right. Ben Stiller for punches. It's 38 today. I will say Ben Stiller's turning 39. Bobby Colonels. 36. And Ashley. 37. Ben Stiller is 40 today. So, Mike, you ruined it for B-Rob. Two last punches. Go ahead. I didn't say 40? No, you said 38. I tell you, I write it down. I'm not sure about that. Make them good, Colonels. Nope.
Two. Two. There you go, kids. So happy birthday to all of them. And real quick, lost on tonight. Don't forget. All right. I have to give the Mikey Show $1,000 rewind for today. Yes. Which Shauna just wrote and asked what it was going to be. I don't know why. Yeah, she emailed me too. Why does she want to know? I don't know. But I emailed her and told her what it was going to be. I think it's, well. What? This is a tactic I use many a times. She's not actually curious about what it's going to be. It's more of a reminder to say, hey, F her. Oh, it's a passive-aggressive way. You have not done this yet. It's a passive-aggressive way. Yes, something I do. Of giving information. Instead of coming on and saying, hey, can you mention this? I haven't heard you mention this. She says, what's it going to be? At least that's what I would do. Well, the $1,000 Mikey Show Rewind for today. is going to be us making fun of Tom Cruise. Right. And it happened earlier on the show, and it will happen again. They're going to replay it between 6 and 6.30 on BC and Clint's show. And when it's done, the 15th caller in wins $1,000. It's the $1,000 rewind. It's really a fun thing. Nice. All right, call us, 570-1053. And, Sky, I didn't miss anything big, right? We talked about everything that was, like, really super important, right? Well, we didn't give our synopsis of loss for tonight.
Which is very, very important. Or did we? Crap. So tonight's episode is called What Kate Did. Kate's original crime that started her life on the run is revealed. Meanwhile, the survivors lay one of their own to rest. Kate sleeplessly watches over a feverish Sawyer, and Mr. Echo has a surprise for Locke regarding the hatch. Think about it. What is that? What do you think that is? The surprise that Mr. Echo has? Stop calling him Mr. Echo. What's his name? Echo. It's Mr. Echo to you, sir. I hate when you say Mr. Echo. Love him. I don't know, but I'm all in on Lost tonight. Yeah, you know what? I don't need that love triangle crap with Kate and Sawyer and Jack. Oh, Sky, don't buy into it, will you? Don't buy into that. What do you mean? Don't buy into that love triangle. How can you not be torn between two handsome men who are complete opposites?
I mean, there's qualities about Sawyer, of course, she loves. First of all, I'm going to say something very unpopular here. Jack's a tool. Don't take your headphones off. I'm telling you, Scott, I'm telling you, the guy is kind of a tool. Don't flip me off. I agree with you, Mikey. I agree with you. Do you watch the show, Ashley? Of course. He's kind of a tool. Yep, and he kind of is always making me mad because he's always... paranoid and getting very in people's faces. Like, you never see a cool, fun side of him. He's always annoyed. They're in a plane crash. They're on an effing island. Have you not seen a cool, fun side? What do you want him to do? I'm going to give you some names. I'm going to give you some names, and I'm going to ask you, have you seen a cool, fun... Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Excuse me. That's crap. I'm going to bring up some names. I'm going to bring up some names. I'm going to bring up some names. And don't go the fat route with him just because you don't like that he's fat. I didn't say I didn't. I never said the words. I just said he played golf to get out of work. He didn't play golf to get out of work. He was trying to make people happy. I fooled you, didn't I? I'm going to give you some names. You tell me if you've seen fun moments with them. All right. Hurley. We just went through this, Mike. Have you seen fun moments with Hurley? Trying to get out of work. Yes. Slacker. Or no. Slacker. Have you seen fun times with Hurley?
Sense of humor from Hurley? Well, yeah. Okay, thank you. Have you seen a sense of humor from Charlie? Don't get, knock it off. Lawyer, attorney, you know you have. Heroin. No. Whatever. Sawyer. Unless you count fun when he was trying to make Kate make out with him. Just the fact that he calls her freckles is fun. Oh, that's awesome. Jack is just. I love Jack. He's got stuff going on, man. Can you get the guy a break? I don't like him. He's trying to save the island. He needs to relax. Yeah, he does. He needs to relax, and that character is so pent up. If you were in a plane crash. What do you like about him? What do you like about Jack? The fact that he takes care of everyone, that he's the leader. He's the only doctor there. If he did, he'd be a monster. So you don't think that comes along with some pressures? Sorry, your leg is broken. Not going to help.
I'll be over at the Tiki Lounge. Thank you. What's he supposed to do? He's doing what a human being would do. There's a lot of pressure with that, Mike. Oh, really? Or is it? Thank you. We got to get out of here. What? 5701053. I hope that she doesn't end up with either one of them. I hope she ends up with Jin and has Asian American babies. What do you think of that? Mikey show. That guy Jack on Lost is like the sky of Lost. He's a beating. Oh, the most important part. Mikey Show. I just want to know what happened to Chris Parnell suing his wife. Wow. Thank you for asking. That's funny. He's suing his wife because she used to be his manager, and he says that she's got a bunch of his personal belongings. He wants them back. and that she used to funnel money that belonged to Soundgarden and the band to different areas, and he's suing her. So they have a five-year-old daughter together, but, you know, they're trying to keep her out of it and just keep it all in the court. We'll see. Or are they trying to be? Mikey Show. Mikey, P1 Gingerbread Man here. Hi, Gingerbread Man. Oh, you're creepy. I just wanted to wish you and your wife the best in quitting smoking. Thank you very much. I appreciate you. Hey, have a good one. Love you. You too. Love you. Mikey Show, last call.
Last call. Bring us home. Hey, did you hear about the hot kiss between Kate and another guy who's not sore? Yeah, dude. Yeah, it's Jack. Yeah. They showed it on the previews already. It's Jack. Because he's awesome. I hope so. Oh, who cares? Oh, she kissed Jack. Oh, how cool. She's going to kiss him and go, man, you're a dead fish. Yeah, how boring you are. I don't really need tongue or anything. I bet it's going to be hot. I bet it's not going to be hot. How about we bet $5? It's not. Well, whose interpretation of hot? I mean, we know from playing... We both agree that when Sawyer tricked her into a kiss, which was so... us and Rob would have loved it. Yeah. He tricked her into it. He said he would save somebody's life if she made out with him. And he did, and he goes, I don't know anything. Oh, that's awesome. Good guy. I like him. Him and the dog. That's right. Vincent. All right, we got to get out of here. Lovely and talented Missy's up next. She's the best. She's got big hair Wednesday coming up for you in the afternoon. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 5.30. Mikey shows out late.
