Dirty Dancing commentaryMikey Thonmovie plot riffsprojector failurelistener callsfaith on airWaterworld screeningdirty dancingmovie commentarybabyjohnnyfinal lift
The Mikey Show crew live-commented on Dirty Dancing during the Mikey Thon, with Woods relentlessly mocking the film while L.O.B. defended a favorite she had watched as many as 100 times. They riffed on Baby exposing her relationship with Johnny to clear him of theft, Robbie being revealed as responsible for Penny's pregnancy, Johnny's return and the famous final lift. A failing projector interrupted the movie and later left Woods and Jay complaining of headaches and motion sickness as Mikey pushed ahead toward a Waterworld screening. Callers including Rona, Nick, Manny and Gabby said the broadcast kept them laughing or awake, and L.O.B. later discussed using her stand-up slot for Christian testimony while rejecting the claim that the show itself was religious.
What happened, in order
Baby's father backs down
The hosts ridicule Baby's father for abruptly announcing the family will leave the resort and then immediately reversing himself when challenged.
The projector dies
The Dirty Dancing picture disappears while the sound continues, leaving Mikey and the crew improvising jokes as Jay tries to revive the projector.
Baby gives Johnny an alibi
Baby protects Johnny from a theft accusation by admitting to her father that she was having sex with Johnny when the wallet vanished.
Robbie is exposed
Baby's father learns that Robbie, not Johnny, was responsible for Penny's pregnancy and realizes he backed the wrong man.
Nobody puts Baby in a corner
Johnny returns during the resort talent show, pulls Baby from the corner and introduces her to the room as the person who changed him.
The lift lands
Baby and Johnny nail the climactic lift, prompting celebration from the movie crowd and sharply divided reactions from the hosts.
Worst movie or favorite
After the credits, Woods calls Dirty Dancing one of the five worst movies he has seen while L.O.B. calls it one of her all-time favorites.
L.O.B.'s hundred viewings
L.O.B. says she has watched Dirty Dancing somewhere between 50 and 100 times, and caller Rona says the live commentary was hysterical.
Testimony after midnight
L.O.B. says her upcoming stand-up set will include her Christian testimony, while the crew argues that critics wrongly describe their program as a religious show.
Waterworld endurance test
Mikey insists on continuing with Waterworld even as Woods and Jay report headaches and motion sickness from the hot room and fuzzy projection.

Apparently. Ew. Hurry up. Law and order. Law and order is on. Dad, you work in SVU, right? I'm white. I'm not supposed to be running in the dark. Oh, disgusting. He's like, okay, see you later. Everybody's here. Oh, gross. Look at the blood. Yuck. Holy cow. Oh. I've got something here called Vicodin. Yep. I'm not a doctor, son. I just stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. I wonder if he thinks I look sexy standing here. I'm going to kick my knee out. I told you I'm not a doctor. I'm not shaking your hand. Refuse to shake a hand. You're from the wrong side of the tracks. By the wrong side of the tracks, I mean gay.
No, and take off those white jeans. You don't deserve to wear them. Yeah, what are you, some sort of rebel dancer now? You joined some sort of dance gang? I didn't think I'd raised a dancer. I thought I raised someone who would marry a doctor or a lawyer. Not a dancer. ducktail dancer. What are you going to do for a living? I'm just going to cruise around my shirt off. This is how I always answer my door. Can we finally make love, you homosexual? I've been putting it out there for you pretty much the same day. I've been half nude. We've been in the lake. I've been in the backseat of your car. I danced in my panties. So, you want to play backgammon?
Do you have a bed or just a bunch of rugs? It's just like his loft in Roadhouse. Sorry, I was just reading Nietzsche. What are you crapping around here, a coffee can? I'm sorry about how they treated you. You know, like half human? Yes, but I mean the way he was with you. He acted like you were from the thunder from down under. Because my father... No, the way he saved her... I mean, I could never do anything like that. That was something. I mean, all I can do is mamba. All I can do is merengue. That's not true. All I can do is the pulse of Dolce. You don't understand the way it is. I mean, for somebody like me. Last month, I'm eating juju bees to keep alive. This month, women are stuffing diamonds in my pockets. Do you know where I grew up? Cleveland. Ever heard of Akron? I grew up on the tough side of Akron.
Yeah, you didn't grow up in Des Moines. I'm scared of everything. I'm scared of bras. I'm scared of panties. I'm scared of pee-pees and wee-wee. I'm scared of bare-chested gay guys. I'm scared of them all. You ever try to turn a homosexual straight? Love to me. I want to slay you, you moron. I don't know how to say this any more clear. I'd like to make love with you. I guess I'll be the aggressor. Let me show you. Okay. You're not going to make me do something like guy-ish, are you? He's like, oh, God. You're ready. I am so scared. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Please don't.
touch me there. Please don't. Please. You're making me so uncomfortable. No, don't do that. Please. You're making me freak out. And what does he do? He dances with her. You know what's more sexy than dancing? Making love to somebody. That's sexier. Ah, there's the woman I'm sexually attracted to. I'm so excited. I'm Turned on. Mm-hmm. Very turned on. With any luck, that'll be my child. Oh, yeah, that's the spot. Nobody puts baby in the boner. We still haven't kissed. Kiss her. I'm going to make out with your back, if that's okay. Where'd she go? You don't. Do not. Don't touch my behind. I'll just put a bag over your face. It'll be fine. And I'll pretend your name is Phil.
this. I hate it. How do you work one of these? I have one just like it. Get some. I have to pretend to take these bleens off. These bleen shorts. Still dancing, by the way. Yeah. Just get to it. All right. I got to go. I'll see you tomorrow. Hey, you really don't need to seduce her anymore. I think you got her. You win. Yes, you get it. You can dance. I'm ready. Come on. If this is what he's into, then this is what he's into. We just danced all night. Here we go. I know, Susan. I mean, I threw myself out. He just wants to dance. Question. Has anyone ever made love that slow? Yeah. Nice touch with a Japanese lantern. This is a really nice apartment. Who did the decorations, Mr. Miyagi?
They know I do. If I look laid back, it's because I slayed last night. I know that look. I was a slut once. It took your father months to have sex with me. We're leaving tomorrow. What? We're what tomorrow? Daddy, I missed the show. I said we're leaving tomorrow. But, Daddy, I was going to sing in the show. It's the big event. I got my sideburns waxed for this. I need you for props. Do you? Why would you want to leave early? Because I'm tired of baby making love to everything. Whoring around, dancing with everything. Gay man. It was just an idea. We can stay if you want to. Oh, wow. Who wears pants in that family? So, Lisa, what were you planning to sing? I feel pretty. Always a classic. Can't stand a word you say.
Or my dad wears blue pants. I can't decide. We get to stay. Is this almost over? I could always fast forward again. You look much better. I feel better. I've had morphine. Just pounds and pounds of morphine. Jeremy Quayles. Are you guys slaying too? Is he slaying her too? I don't think so. I'm okay. You sure seem to care a lot about her. Hey, you made love to me. I'm standing right here. Maybe give me some bacon and eggs. Why'd you tell me to leave before it got light out? Why'd you tell me you had an early meeting? You're a dancer. You don't even play squash. So, this is awkward. So, yeah, okay, well, all right, see you, bye.
We're back to this. Yeah, I'll call you. I totally will call you. All right. Give me your numbers. Write it down and I won't throw it away right when you walk out. Don't let the door hit you in there. Yep. Wow. Good thing she's gone. Can't believe I slept with her. I had a lot of beers. She was the worst. How many times do you tell me never get mixed up with them? Two. What? She told me she was a dude. You didn't tell her I was a guy, did you? Stop it now. No. I wanted to. I wanted to tell her you were a guy. I can't believe I gave it up to that guy. Guys, I slept with a gay guy. Does this look desperate? Yep. Oh, yeah, no problem. It's okay. I'm going to a Barbra Streisand look link contest. I was just standing here. I wasn't waiting for you. I didn't even care if you came out. I was looking at this hanging plant. Why are you yelling my name like that? I don't really like you, but I like you. Oh, man. I don't like you, but I... Seems like an appropriate time to smile.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Hello, Wendy. There's a lot of nipples in this movie. Remind me not to take my honeymoon at Niagara Falls. So, you go to Acapulco. It'll be fine. Wear blue pants like Dad. Hey, Dad, let's do a puzzle. I know I put it in the store. You know what's cool, Dad? Whoa, what happened? Hello. I didn't do it. Woods. I swear I didn't do it. Now we just have to pretend like we know what's going on. Oh, look at that. We can hear, but we can't see. If you're listening at home, we can't see the movie. What do you think of me? I've had thousands of men. I make love to literally hundreds of billions of women a night. Many men, but you're the first woman. You know what it's like, baby. A couple of streets and suddenly you're up here and these women... Yeah, tough life, pal. What are you crying about? Just girls throwing stuff at me. They were just having a projector that didn't want to work. Probably from 1986. Jay, did you build this projector? I was there when it was created. Are we going to do something about it? I'm working on it. It's got to relax for a minute. It's relaxing.
No. It hit me. I'm going to do something about it. Where are you going? Everybody doing all right? All right. We are working on the projector. Ladies and gentlemen, we are working on the projector. I've decided to go all the way up front. No, no. It's someone like him. Do you think if we came back here for our 10th anniversary, it would be free? It's just wrong this way. She'd be with someone, someone of love. You wouldn't care if I humped the entire army, as long as they were on the right side of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. What you care about is that you're not daddy's girl anymore. He listens to what I've taught now. Dad. My friend, where's my pleasing arc?
Spaghetti arms. Would you give me some tension, please? You're invading my dance space. This is my dance space. That's yours. That's cha-cha. Don't look down. Look right here. How do you call your lover boy? And if he doesn't answer? A lover boy. And if he still doesn't answer? I simply say... Johnny. Yeah? Taking dance lessons? I could teach a kid. Johnny, my grandfather put me in charge of the final show. I want to talk to you about the last dance. I'd like to shake things up a bit. You know, move with the times. I got a lot of ideas. I've been working with the staff kids on this cross between this Cuban rhythm and this soul dance. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, boy. It's way over your head here. Now, I thought you always do the mambo.
And why not dance this year's final dance to the Pachanga? Well, you're free to do the same tired numbers last year if you want. But next year, we'll find another dance person. We'll be only two. Sure, Neil. No problem. In the season with the Pachanga. Great idea. I plug this one. Sometimes it's hard to talk to, but the way they seem to like it. See that it gives you the full half hour you're paying for it, kid. All right. Well, it looks we're back up and running. She ever wear jean shorts? She borrowed from her mom and even her mom's like, what was her dorky? Yeah. Ever just wear a black tank top with black jeans and a black belt? Yeah. Because I need this goddamn job lined up for next summer. My dad calls me today. He says, good news, you know, he says Uncle Paul can finally get you in a union. What union? Western union. The gay dancers union. Okay. It's a genius union. What do you think? Don't.
Touch me. Repulse me. Get down. Get down quick. It's my hairy sister. The only way we can kill her is with a silver bullet. Your dad thinks I'm ethnic, huh? Is that what this is about? We'll never make love again, will we? We never made love the first time, did we? With my father, it's complicated. I will tell him. I don't believe you, baby. Look. The first rule of dance club is you don't talk about dance. Dance it off. Just leave me alone. I just need a minute. I just need a minute. I'm going to go dance my ass off by myself. Just give me a sec. If I'm not back in 15 minutes, send a dance rescue unit out for me. She runs like a freak. I guess I know where to find you. He's dancing in here. Why? You told him.
Told her I was a man. Can't dance your way out of this one. Uh-oh. Oh. Ah, look at what we have here. It's okay, baby. I went slumming, too. Get him. He doesn't dance. I'm going to dance your face off. I'm going to dance your ass. Oh. Oh, wow. Ready to talk. Get you right in the pachanga. Mambo. Cha-cha. Easy what? Are you a shark or a jet? Who wears a sweater to a fist fight? If you don't stop, I'm going to hold you down and kiss you. I swear I'll do it. I will butterfly kiss you to death. You know what Eskimo kisses are? I will foxtrot on your grave. Oh, God. I thought she just said something. I almost just flopped. I was like, whoa, LB. Holy crap. Foxtrot. Foxtrot selling something else. Yeah. It was coming out of her mouth. I was like.
Oh, man. It's like Rebecca speaking alpha into Mikey. That's what that sounded like. What is that on the front of her shorts? More jean shorts. Different set. Shorter. I can't hear myself. Am I out of tune? You ever just wear a purple shirt? What's this? New dance schedule? Hello, dear. Why is she with him? They kill you in your sleep. Great money. Oh, gosh. Hey, dance boy. $25 tonight? The hard way. Hey, everybody. We're all going to get laid. Hey, everybody. It's the 60s. I love her. That's so creepy. All right, cans McGee. She looks more like a man. Maybe I should go for her. Uh-oh. Someone asked that dying sheep to stop mewing. I think that's you. Oh, yeah, thanks. You're a butt pirate, right? The pirate hat you requested, sir.
I'm not a piece of meat. It costs a lot more than this for me to slay a woman, by the way. When you're done playing Pinochle, maybe. He did it for me. Please don't do that. Please don't do that. Please don't do that. Please don't do that. Is this HD? It is. Are you not wearing the glasses? Headache definition? You forgot to give me 3D glasses. Yeah. Splitting headache. Yes, the Pointer Sisters were around in the 60s. This is the servant's quarters, right? I can't believe I'm slumming over here. I have enough birth control. Check. Isn't that a towel on the door? That means don't come in. It means I'm making love to a man. Towel on the door means it. Oh, boy. They shacked up? Who was that L.O.B.? It was Robbie the Creep and then the old cougar. That old cougar. That old Robbie gets around. Well. They don't call him Robbie the Creep because he's sweet.
Robbie the Creep. They also call him Robbie the Herpes, but... Or just the Herp. Not back then. You get the drip. Oh, God. Do you ever just look at the ceiling and think you see shapes? L-O-B. I got a question. You think we'll ever kiss? You just kicked me out so fast. No, I think... It's because I don't have plumbing. We should have a meal sometime. Walk of shame. He messed with the wrong Coug. I'm telling. I always have my shirt off. That dude always has his shirt off. He's like me. Wouldn't you? Yeah, probably. And enter white people's name. I'm really enjoying the smell of that cigar at breakfast. Yeah. Thank you. You know what goes best with eggs? Macanudo. A Cuban cigar. A swisher sweet. A nice Cohiba.
It was in his jacket hanging on the back of his chair. He had it at 1.30. I'll settle for you since Robbie the Creep passed me up. Vivian thinks she remembers this dance kid, Johnny, walking by. So we ask him. He knows about dance club. He says he was alone in his room reading. There are no books in Johnny's room. Just rubbers. There have been similar thefts at the Sheldrake, and it's happened here before. It couldn't have been him. We were making love. Stay out of it, baby. Wait, don't put those tables together. Come on. What, are you crazy? What, are you some kind of dumb idiot? Daddy, I need your help. I know Johnny didn't take Moe's wallet. I know. Oh, how do you know? I can't tell you. I was naked with him. Sorry, baby, I can't. This thanish is pure protein. Mr. Kellerman, look.
Maybe Johnny didn't do it. Anyone could have taken it. Maybe it was... You know, it could have been that little old couple of the Schumachers. I saw her with a couple of balls. I saw Mikey sniffing around here. Baby, you don't go around accusing innocent people. Yeah, but I saw them. I even saw them at the Sheldrick. Didn't you say something was stolen at the Sheldrick? I got an eyewitness and the kid has no alibi. Come on, Neil. You'll learn what it's like to fire an employee. No, Mr. Kellman, wait a minute. I know Johnny didn't... Take the wallet. I know he didn't take it. He was making love to a cougar. He couldn't have. No, he was making love to her. Sweetly. You know, like that. Like that, yeah. I like him, like him. Like him, like him, like him. I like like him, Dad. Like like him, like him. Look at Dad like, oh my gosh, my daughter. Like fold my legs up behind my ears like him. All of a sudden it's fall. Like I like him. And freezing cold. Dad ever just stare out of a lake all weird? How long have they been here? They're going through a season change? They've been there three months, LLB.
Three month vacation. A season change. Yeah, I got three months off. Dad popped the collar real good. I'm sorry I lied to you. Again. Your stupid sweater doesn't fool me. I know who you are. And where are your jean shorts? You told me I was a like and deserved affair, but you met everyone who was like you. But you're president of the dance club. You told me you wanted me to change the world, make it better, by becoming a lawyer or an economist. Not a whore. Or not a dancer. I'm not proud of myself. I'm not proud of you either. Are you still talking? If you don't mind, I'd like to stare blankly out at the lake for a few more hours. Is this Gone with the Wind? How much longer is this movie? I love you. Is this heat? I'm so sorry. Uh-oh. You let me help. Fake cry, bitch. I'm not going to cry. I'm a man. No, go. Go ahead and go. Wake up, stupid. What? What? Oh, my gosh. What? How'd I get here? They found the Schumacher.
Of course they did. They rip off dance clubs. That's what they did. They rip off dancing vacation spots. You know, you've turned out to be a real weirdo. Is it because of my perm? No, it's because of your perm's perm. You lost your job anyway. I did it for nothing. No, no, not for nothing, baby. You can't see too well. Is that Meryl Streep? You've never done anything like that for me before. You were right, Johnny. You can't win no matter what you do. You listen to me. I don't want to hear that from you. You can. I used to think so. What should we do? Should we dance? Let's dance. Trusted you with everything. My parent, my lutes, everything. Oh, wow. You rip off people's looks. Everything I own is black. I'll be back.
Open the door if you want to live. I'm looking for John Connor. I've been sent from the future. I mean, I want to dance. You don't know anything about me. I stare out of the lake all day. You didn't know I had two rocking chairs on my porch. Don't you tell me what to see. Right now, all I see is a dirty social greaser. Well, he moved on to an innocent young girl like my daughter. Stupid haircut. You probably infected her with some sort of crabby, greasy thing. Yeah, I probably did. I'll be back. You ever misunderstood, Rebel? Real good. Well, I guess this is the last time we get to dance. I guess this is goodbye.
Do you think will we ever kiss? Shake hands. I'll just put my hands in my pocket. Nice beaver. I'll just pretend to feel your stomach. We won't kiss, but can I just... I cut off a piece of hair while you were sleeping. Oh, my gosh. I couldn't wait for that to happen. Hey, Patrick, not only do we want you to act, we want you to sing the theme song. Oh, this song is fantastic. Fantastic. Just a fool to believe I give everything that she needs. Please tell me this movie's over. Please tell me this movie's over. So what did you guys think? Wow. That was a good one, huh? Thanks for coming out. How many scenes can I wear a sweater? Yep.
Well, I guess I'll just stand here and dress like mom. Yep. I've been here since June and now it's December. What is that? Well, I guess I'll just turn myself into a mummy. Just put the stacking on my head. Rob some banks. Oh, don't. Oh, sorry. You're not Johnny. Do you like my perm? Kiss me. You guys make out real good. Oh, they're sisters. That's gross. Don't take this the wrong way, but would you ever consider just one perm? She's a man. Edward Cullen just called and goes, gosh, that girl's pale. Blah. Blah. Wendy, whenever I'm in here, you see me writing. It's like Pee Wee's Playhouse. I am a huge nerd. Welcome. Oh. Playhouse.
Make it like a high. She appears to be in the corner. You know what they say. That's the worst freaking talent show I've ever seen. How did Dance Club get excluded from this event? It was worse than the Mikey Show talent show. Whoa. Oh, wow. Look at the pirate. He's like, gosh, I should have a drinking problem. Yeah. I do this every summer. Every summer. I stand up here. in this stupid pirate outfit. A little captain in you. Oh, there's the creep. Hey, Bob. I'll talk to you. Here's your $50 retainer for being a jerk. I had some money laying around. And I wanted to thank you for your help with the Penny situation. Because we've all gotten into messes like these. Oh, wow. What? I thought maybe he told you. Look, I'm not sure. I mean, Penny said so, but you know with girls like that, they're liable to pin it at any guy around. You know the play loose thing? You're not Cordell material.
L-O-B. L-O-B. I talk chive. The first pasteurized milk. I didn't always have this turkey gabbler on my neck. It's my twin. When my gullet starts hanging like that. It's good. Gabble, gabble, gabble, gabble. Moods? Well, they want trips and marijuana cigarettes. Right. Dance vacations. Welcome to Camp Waiter. If you can't sing, just talk with music in the background. It's just the worst cougar place I've ever been. Wow, this corner is so suffocating.
I feel like I'm dying. Where's Johnny? Here he comes. I told you I'd be back. Hey, Johnny, good to see you, buddy. Hey, high five. Hey, Elvis. Man, how long can this song go on? How long can this movie go on? Too long. It's almost over. I love it. Nobody fits big corners. Yeah, dog. That was what I've been waiting 25 years for. Why can't she be in the corner? What's the deal? Because she deserves to be in the spotlight. Yeah. Oh. They had her tucked away. That's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. She's a hidden gem that they don't know about yet. He knows about it. Intimately. Sorry about the disruption, folks. We just wanted to stop the bad singers. I want to tell you, the Peach Pit After Dark is now open and David Silver will be spinning for your pleasure and Donna Martin graduates. She's also incredible in bed.
Somebody who's taught me all sorts of nasty things. About the kind of person I want to be. Miss Frances Houseman. Don't you call her by her real name. This is her moment to dance. So we're going to show you the reverse cowboy. Oh my God. Oh my God. What are you doing? We didn't rehearse this. I've never felt this way before. Ooh. Hands. Pas de bourree, pas de bourree. London. Don't screw it up. They're all watching. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Pop it, pop it. Pop it live, pop it live. I can't stand this guy. Remember when you first taught me this and you kept beating me up?
I didn't pay $150 to see my daughter's panties. We should play this tomorrow when we get off the air. This should be our closing song. Let's spot. Never thought you'd be dating a gay stripper, did you? Yeah. Did you see that? You just stand up there and I'll do the dancing. Oh, yeah. Sweating? You had your time. Now let me have mine. Oh, look, she's just so proud of him. Look at her. How much coke was Pat Twizy doing when he did this movie in order to do this movie? Oh, she's so funny. What? Oh, he's having a fit. Oh, my God. Oh, hello, baby. Oh, wow, the first thriller video. Yeah. Oh, that's the worst. Look at that. Yeah, what is she doing? She should look more awkward. Look, it's Pat Benatar.
We're coming for you, baby. Even the dad wants to dance now. Don't screw it up. Oh, I bet they nail it. Of course. Of course they did. She didn't wear any panties that day. Oh, boy. Think chicks like this movie? Oh, my God. I don't get it. I'm so proud of her. She's coming out of her shell. We just saw Dirty Dancing. We just saw Dirty Dancing. Yeah, we just saw Dirty Dancing. You know, for about 20 years, I've heard about this movie, and I thought, And Woods, don't watch it because you'll probably like it. No. No. Oh, wow. Uh-oh. Let's get dirty. I'm kind of a lesbian. Oh, boy. Whoa. I still got moves, son. Fine. Where's that black waiter? Hello, bitch. Let's get out of here and make love. And by make my love, I mean not kiss. I figured it out. I'm wrong. I say I'm wrong. But I'm not wrong.
You are, in fact. You're still a dancer. You look wonderful out there. Please wear a condom. You want to date a fairy? Go ahead. Have a ball. Have two. Don't come dancing to me when you get hurt. No helping her. That is LLB. Is that creepy Bobby spreading gonorrhea real good? I guess I could get used to it. Let's get it on. Let's all get it on. We're all getting laid. Hey, everybody. I love you. Let's not kiss. Let's just lip sync. You know the words to this song. You're the sweatiest guy I've ever been with. Never fallen for a 17-year-old. Fix your tongue in there. Almost. All right, buddy. They've slayed before they've kissed. Coming back to dance camp.
You put it on the shelf. Nobody puts Baby on the shelf. One of the top five worst movies I've ever seen. Oh, it's one of my favorite movies of all time. That shocks me. I love Baby. You have to be a female. Well, that was great. Let's watch it again. That was great. We have finally seen Dirty Dancing. All right, we're going to take a little bit of a break, and then we're going to put in Waterworld in a couple of minutes. Take about 15 minutes. Do a little best of. A dirty dance. That was great. All right. Here's what I want to know. I want to know if anybody was following that with us. If they were watching the movie while we were watching the movie. If you were, call us. You can call us right now. 570-1949. Love to hear from you. L.O.B., how many times have you seen Dirty Dancing? No less than 50. Is that a true name? Probably closer to 100.
No, no, no, no. Come on. True story. I know all the words to it, which made it a little bit more difficult for me because I had to pretend like I didn't know the plot and fill in the blanks. That's badass. Dude, she has seen the movie. Did you cry? No, I just put drops in. Okay, okay. Are you kidding? I don't know. It was terrible. She has seen the movie. She thinks close to 100 times. Easily. That's insane. There's been weekends where I've watched it like four times in one weekend. Uh-uh. No, that can't be true. Oh, in college? We would make fun of our same thing that Woods just said, a hungover Sunday. Yep. What should we do? Should we watch it again? Let's watch it again. Oh, my. Man. Let's see. People are calling. Let's see. M1 Rona is on the line. Rona, are you there? Did you watch? We did. You watched it with us? We listened. with you. Oh, you listened. Okay. So you weren't watching it along with us? No, because we've seen it before. Okay. Was it fun to listen to? It was hysterical. Good. Good. We're going to do Waterworld here in a bit. That was, you know, mine and L.O.B.'s and Jay's first time to do that bit. It's fun. I love it. Dude, it's a blast. Maybe next time we get a bigger beanbag. It's a blast. I love it. It's so hot. Why does L.O.B. hate sitting with us?
She's claustrophobic. She's claustrophobic. I cried getting into a box. That's true. How do you think it feels sitting on a beanbag with four sweaty men? Sweaty, hot men. I don't mean hot like good looking. I mean hot in body temperature. Adam, how are you? I'm good. All right, let's take more calls. M1 Nick from San Ysidro. Hey. How you doing? Not too bad. Just listening to you guys. Did you watch along or just listen? No, I listened along. I'm just sitting in my car just cracking up. That's great. Oh, man. The yawns are coming on. I'm going to have to do... I'm not far from my regularly scheduled Adderall. Not far from my regularly scheduled sugar-free Red Bull. Ooh. Woodsy. Yeah. What are you doing? Nothing. You're doing something. No. What are you looking at? Nothing. Are you on there? Yeah. What are you doing?
Just checking out. Well, let's talk. The love. Let's put it down. Let's talk. Let's talk. Talk to me. I need you. I need you. I need you right now. I'm here. I'm here for you. I know. Let's talk. Let's do it. All right. Let's take some calls. I thought you just asked me how I was doing. M1 Manny in the parking lot. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Crap, they're hanging in. Let's see them. Look at you guys out there. Hanging in there. Gorgeous guys. Yeah. How's it going? Doing good. How are you guys doing? Yeah. We're all hunting around the carpet. You guys having a good time out there? Yeah. Very good. We love it. Flash him, LLB. She just flashed him. Holy cow. Did she? No. Hey, dude. Hey, dude. Thank you for calling. We love you, man. Yeah, we love you guys, too. Thank you. Let's see. Mikey Show. Who's this? This is M1 Gabby in Poway. How are you? Hi, Gabby. How are you? I am awake because of you, and thank you all. That's rad. Yes, I'm staying with you because you're staying with me. I have to work, so what better?
thing to work to than my favorite Mikey show. That's awesome. Sweet. Now, did you listen along or watch along? No, I've listened along all day. Okay, cool. That's awesome. Thank you guys so much for being on and staying strong and doing your thing so I can do mine. We love you. Love you back. Bye-bye. Bye. And one slide is calling from the Central Coast. That's right, Mikey. What part of the Central Coast? Paso Robles, right in the middle of wine country. Paso. I used to live in Shell Beach. Know the slow area very well. Used to work at Sly 96 FM. First place I ever did mornings was at Sly 96 FM. I love Shell Beach. That's right. I used to live there. Really? Yep. Right on the beach. My street went right to the water. I'm jealous. This is awesome. I lived in San Diego for about five years. I've been listening to you for about six or so. Here's a little known fact about me. Your area. is the only area that I would live, that I would want to live besides San Diego. Oh, I love it. It's the only other place in the world, really, that I'd want to live besides San Diego. I want to live in San Diego the rest of my life, but if I had to go to another place, it would be there. Shell Beach was one of the best places I ever lived. Where is it? If I'm on the lottery tomorrow, I'd move back to San Diego. I get you. Maybe we can trade houses for a week or something. Yeah.
Woods, it's on the central coast. So California, if you looked at the state of California, it's right in the middle on the water. And very different vibe. Real different vibe than Southern California or Northern California. Really? Yep. It's real peaceful. Really peaceful. I got the vibe it was like a fishing town. Is that so? Kinda. Kinda. I mean, I could not say no to that. Tight knit community. Yep. You can't say, yeah, it totally is. But you also can't say, no, not really. You know, you can't. Right. But it is real quiet, peaceful. It's not a rat race like here where it's, you know, real busy. And it's got all that beach vibe, man. Yeah. All that beach vibe. Woodsy. I'm in. I'm going to tell you something. What? We were in a life raft together. And I said, don't drink the seawater.
That's not it. I took a sip. That's not it. Listen. That's not it. I got a headache. That's it. That's not it. That's not it. You took. You took. You took. You took. You took. You took. You took. You took. I'm not crashing. I just got a headache. I feel great. I just got a headache. I have. I just took a leave. I'll be all right. I'm good. I have other stuff too. I have Tylenol if you need it. No, I got. I'm all set. In fact, I got to take something. I got to take something. What did you take? One or two, a leave? Three. That was good. Wow. Yeah. Should knock it right out. It will. It smells like cat urine in here. I know. It smells like a lot of things. Your ear is throbbing? Yeah, it hurts again. It's got a headache. He pierced his ear earlier today. I'm all right. Did you ever just get pains real good? Yeah. You ever just out of shape? Fat? Real good? You ever just give up? Chances I perform on that acoustic guitar at 5 a.m.? 150%. Oh, man.
I don't know if I can sing. I'll try. It's going to sound like cats in a bag. You're fine. LB, you stoked for your stand-up? Yeah. You're great. I'm going to do something weird. Like what? I'm going to do... I did last year, too. What'd you do? Do, like, my testimony. Yeah, you do that in your sleep, though. You can do that in your sleep. You know what, though? I changed it a little. For this thing? Yeah, I do. Was it just longer? I opened the phone lines. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Really? You bet I do. See, on the morning show, it's not appropriate for me to talk about God in any real way. Right. I'll mention, yeah, I have faith and I'll get my testimony on Fridays. But I don't what they call give the good news. I don't do that. It's funny when you read stuff about our show, when people say they don't like our show, they make it sound like we do. Yeah.
Four hours, like, you come on and you're like... In Romans 4. And you're like, okay, so in Genesis, here's what I get from it. It's hysterical. Somebody said it on L.O.B.'s page the other day, like, I hate that religious show. We're like, what? Religious show? I said, I'm on that religious, in quotes, religious show with several question marks. Yeah. Hey, listen, I'm proud to say, and I mean it, I'm proud to say that our show is not a religious show in any... Way, shape, or form. It's not the 700 Club. It isn't. Hi, Jaybird. Hey, we're trying to switch projectors up here real quick. That's fine. I need a couple more minutes. Oh, yeah. We're good. We're going to talk anyway. We're going to talk a little bit because we're talking about what's going to happen between now and six. I'm getting a little bit of a second wind, so I'm all right. How are you feeling? I am up and down during the movie. It was killing me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I couldn't get it set. Woods is trying to pretend he isn't crashing, but I know. I'm not crashing. I just got a headache. Yeah, I know. I have a headache from watching that projector. Yeah. I'm going to be straight up with you. Watch a 3D movie without 3D glasses. And it was really hot. It's unbelievably hot. Oh, man. I wonder if I can find a fan. It's not ideal condition. I'm going to go look around for a fan. I got motion sickness. This is harder than I thought it would be. How many hours is Waterworld? Long. It's long. You got some place to be?
No, it just literally was making me sick. It's long. It's longer. We got to figure something out. We need a better setup. M1 Kevin from across the street. What's going on? How are you doing? What's going on? Good. Nothing much. I was just thinking about Waterworld, man. I can't wait to watch it. Me too. That makes two of us. I liked it. Makes two of you guys, huh? I got two hours and 16 minutes I can kill with directors Kevin Reynolds. Is it 215? Kevin Reynolds. It's 216. Kevin Reynolds ever work again after Waterworld? He's at Chevron. Gene Triplehorn really did nothing good for that movie. You're a badass for the Gene Triplehorn reference. Exactly. However, Dennis Hopper. Dennis Hopper was bomb in this movie. He is. He is. It's one of the worst films ever made. It was one of the biggest Hollywood flops of all time. Of all time. Biggest Hollywood flops. Well, yeah. Yeah, exactly. And I can't wait to watch it. You know, it's going to be awesome. My compadres here are not feeling good. I know. They're not really feeling too up to the water world test. But, you know.
They feel like they have a little bit of a headache. We're changing projectors so that it doesn't get the fuzziness because the fuzziness is messing with them. It's giving them that kind of motion sickness kind of thing going on. Maybe watch it over in the parking garage with all the other troopers out there. It's cold out there. I would rather the fresh air. It's freaking freezing out here. All right. I'm going to let you go. Okay. L-O-B. Hang on. Let me give a legal ID. Legal ID. KBCT San Diego. You're listening to the Mikey Thon for Rady Children's Hospital on FM 94.9. The following takes place between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. Yeah, it does. L.O.B., because I love your face, I'll let you go get some fresh air. Do you want fresh air? It's just... You guys can if you want to take a breather and just get some freshies. If we could maybe, and we can discuss it if you're going to play a best-of clip, if we just maybe make the setup in there a little better. Like get some air in there or something? Yeah. Well, we are switching projectors so that it isn't all shaky. Yeah. And the beanbag, four of us rolled on top of each other. I kind of liked it. But I will figure it out. If I can sit in a chair. Okay. But then the problem is then I can't hear you guys either. You got to be able to hear each other. It's tough to hear you guys. Well, why don't we all sit on chairs? Oh. Well, then you'll be bummed. I won't be bummed. How about two of you guys sit on a beanbag and then we'll put two chairs next to it?
It's really not meant for four grown adults. You refuse to admit it to me. You won't give it up. It's not because of this. I've done it. I know, but I only had a sip. You don't understand. There's still stuff in here. That stuff's pretty gnarly. It's not like cocaine. I know, but that five-hour energy drink, it'll get you. It's just a sip, though. Jay had... There's still something in there. Jay's kind of going through the same thing. You guys can drink the salt water. Here's the thing. If you drink the salt water before... I want to drink an energy drink right now. I won't do it. I told you. I'll wait. It's hard because you want to. You want that pep. You want that energy burst. But what I've learned from doing it year after year after year is that if you drink the salt water before 1 a.m., it gets you going. And then right now, you want to freaking barf.
I'm following your lead and I feel okay. I was getting a headache from the bouncy screen. Are you going to do an energy thing? I'll probably do regular coffee, to be honest with you. Just coffee? Just brew it up.
