Mikey, Woods, Lauren O'Brien, and Jay mixed serious stories with long comic confessions, moving from Betty White's 90th birthday and the Costa Concordia disaster to a child stabbing and a dog rescuing a beaten UC Berkeley student. Lauren supplied the biggest personal stories: her father's secret Paul Young recording, a dangerously naive Craigslist headshot session, a fake-number prank on Woods, and a solo dance injury. Woods admitted waiting outside Wendy's for a cheat-day burger, while the group and callers fought over whether SOPA protected creators or handed government and Hollywood a censorship tool. The show closed with graphic caller accounts of nail-gun wounds and an eye injury caused by flying wood.
What happened, in order
Betty White at 90
The hosts marked Betty White's 90th birthday with Barack Obama's birth-certificate gag, Amy Poehler's age jokes, and a debate about whether life at 90 can still be worth living.
Childhood Fight Turns Fatal
The show discussed the fatal stabbing involving 10- and 12-year-old friends in East County and wondered how the juvenile justice system handles a child who kills.
Cowardly Cruise Captain
Mikey and the crew condemned the Costa Concordia captain for leaving the wreck before his passengers and mocked the reported shoreline salute that may have led the ship off course.
Dog Finds Beaten Student
A neighbor's dog found an 18-year-old UC Berkeley student after he was robbed and beaten from behind in San Diego, likely saving his life.
Dad's Secret Car Concert
Lauren recalled finding her father's business recorder and discovering that he had secretly taped himself belting out Paul Young's 'Every Time You Go Away' during his commute.
Craigslist Headshot Lair
Lauren admitted that she answered a Craigslist ad for free acting headshots, changed clothes in a stranger's apartment, posed on her knees, and then rode with the increasingly agitated photographer to the beach.
First in Line at Wendy's
Woods confessed that he waited 15 minutes outside a closed Wendy's to become its first customer of the day despite claiming to be on a diet.
Wikipedia Goes Dark
The hosts and callers argued over Wikipedia's SOPA blackout, with Mikey demanding a concrete harm while others warned that copyright enforcement could enable censorship and punish ordinary online sharing.
Mystery Texter Prank
Lauren used a Google phone number to send Woods a flirtatious mystery text, sending him into a reverse-lookup panic before she revealed the prank.
Solo Limbo Injury
Lauren hurt her neck and back while practicing a solo limbo-and-hair-whip routine for a planned Pussycat Dolls performance at the House of Blues.
Nail-Gun Horror Stories
A carpenter and several callers described nails through fingers and hands, while Hillary topped them with the story of her husband needing stitches after a wood splinter pierced the white of his eye.

Just like that. It happens so fast. Welcome to The Mikey Show. The Mikey Show is now heard Monday through Friday from 530 to 9. And if you're listening right now, we'd love to hear from you. Our phone number is 570-1949. And you can also text us. It's 949mikey at gmail.com. You can give us a call. Talk about whatever you want to talk about. Since yesterday was a holiday and a lot of listeners were not around, we're going to cover some of the stuff that we would have covered normally, like the Golden Globes. We didn't really touch on that very much yesterday, so we will. And anything that you want to talk about, of course, 570-1949. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's L-O-B. That's Jay. And our phone screener is Nicole. She's 19.
Okay, so Betty White. Betty White, a lot of people may be saying to themselves, I'm over Betty White. Because Betty White is a media thing now. Did it start with a Super Bowl commercial? Is that what started it all? I think so. Yeah. That brought her back into the... Back into the mainstream. Into the mainstream. She was the Tebow of last year. Yes. Yeah. Perfect way to say it, and that's true. By the way, today is her birthday. HBD. Yeah, HBD. She turns 90. Wow. Turns 90 years old. She's very sprightly for 90. I'll give her that. Hey, listen. I mean, I like Betty White as much as the next guy. It's just, how much Betty White can you tolerate? We all went, what, 20 years without hearing her name? At least? Like, not a peep. Well, yes. Not a peep. And then now, they're doing like a TV special. for her birthday. This is President Obama. Ladies and gentlemen, an official birthday message from President Barack Obama. Dear Betty, you look so fantastic and full of energy, I can't believe you're 90 years old. In fact, I don't believe it. That's why I'm writing to ask if you will be willing to produce a copy of your long-form birth certificate. Thanks, and happy birthday, no matter how old you are. Pretty good. Thank you.
That didn't sound like he was reading it at all. Comedy is always the funniest when it sounds off the cuff. Wow. Well, yeah, so apparently she's that big of a deal. This is Amy Poehler talking. about Betty White. I'm so excited to get the evening started and I'm so happy to be here tonight to celebrate a true comedy legend. Some people call Betty White a pioneer because of her trailblazing work as a woman in comedy. I call her a pioneer because 90 years ago she literally arrived to California on a stage. Betty, you're going to hear a lot of jokes tonight about your age, but take comfort in the fact that come tomorrow, you won't remember any of them. Oh, wow. That's pretty good. Oh, man. That's pretty good stuff. That's genius. And then, of course, Betty herself got up and made some comments. I simply can't tell you what it means to have the kind of friendship and the kind of privilege that I have in this business.
I don't know where the breaking point comes. When you're 90 years old, you're bragging about it. But where does the breaking point come in there from the time you would just assume people don't know how old you are? And then all of a sudden, there's a breaking point where you start to brag about it. I don't know when that happened, but boy, is it happening now. Thank you, thank you. It's such a privilege. And to look around this room and see all my wonderful friends and all the wonderful friends that have been up here tonight. It's a privilege and I'm not going to get heavy about it. But I want you to know that I appreciate it more than I can possibly express. Because to be able to spend a lifetime in the business you love with the people you love and get away with it.
It's just marvelous. Thank you, my dear, so much. She's born in 1922. Wow. Holy cow. Dude. Sometimes I wonder, do I want to be that old? She sounds great. She does. I mean, if you're like that, why not? It doesn't sound like there's one ounce of her lost. No. She's completely there. 90. I just, you know, have you ever wondered, do I really want to be that old? It depends, yeah. It depends on what you're like. If you're laying in a home or something, I don't want that. I do not. Jay, you don't want to be that old? No, 83. That would be a great age for you? Not 84. Not 83. Not 82. I think at 80, I'm going to pretty much, I mean, I just want to go out in a ball of fire. Well, in 81, you're good, too. At 81 years old, you'll be good. At 82, things will be great. But at 83... You hope to die. It's a tipping point. Put me in a boat and set it on fire. Wow. If you could pick your age, because you don't want to be too old. Right. None of us want to be 104. We just don't, do we? It just depends. I don't. There's 104-year-olds that are hanging out. Asians, though. They're mostly Asians. Not always. Mostly. No, pretty much. It's about 97% of Asian people. If you hear 104, why? What are they doing?
I don't know. Maybe rice is good. Every time you see it, like they do it on the Today Show, I think it's the Smucker's old guy of the week or something. It's always some Asian guy. He's old. Like 112. Maybe it's the Omega 3s. Yes, which I have next to me. I'll tell you this. I'll tell you this. Being too old, every single day is the same yada, yada, yada. Who wants the same yada, yada? I mean, it's going to be boring. If you've got... grandkids and stuff like that, then it's a wheelchair. No, it isn't. Yes, it is. No, L.O.B., think about it. Okay, so you're a 95-year-old woman. Your grandkids, they probably don't want anything to do with grandma at that point. That's not true. My grandmother, she'll be 94 in a couple months. When's the last time you called her up and just had a convo? Last week? Yeah, she's waiting for this one. No. She's been sitting there six days by the phone waiting for you to call. She has 25 grandkids. 12 great-grandchildren or something like that. Now she's on her great-great-grandchildren. I would love to interview her. You should. And ask her how much the grandkids call and how often. Like, what is a day like? She has Sunday dinner every Sunday with all her, the aunts and uncles and the grandkids around. That's not bad. That's good. Yeah. If you did one big thing a week where you could look forward to it, great. She's more social than I am, and that's not, that's a true statement.
She's in one of those. Well, she would have come over and watched the football game with Woods and I. Yes, she would have. Exactly right. You know what I mean? She was out until 1.30 in the morning on Christmas Eve. Wow. Just doing Jaeger bombs? Just hanging out. Irish car bombs? Ecstasy. No. Tripping. She's just taking a pint glass of beer and dropping a shot of Jaeger into it and gulping it down. No, she likes Manhattans. And calling you a P word because you want to do it. Come on. Oh. I never knew my grandparents, man. They spoke Spanish, and so I couldn't talk to them. That sucks. And I was scared of them, man. Really? Oh, yeah. My grandparents were awesome. Really? Awesome. Yeah. We lived, you know, they were like, we were always there. Always. No idea what that experience is like. And, you know, I actually in some ways think it's good because I didn't have to go through any. When they passed, it wasn't no big deal to me.
Because I didn't know him, you know. My nanny used to watch Dallas with me and wrestling. I loved wrestling when I was a little kid. So she would sit there and gut it out because that's what I wanted to do. That's pretty cool. She's rad. And we'd watch wrestling every Friday night. And, you know, I think about it. Like Rebecca's mom, Grammy. And, you know, it's weird because you have different names for different ones. You know. To Rebecca's mom is Grammy. My mom is Nana. Uh-huh. Yep. You get to pick. I guess so. You do. Now, here's the thing. Yeah, as the grandparent, you get to pick what you want to be called. Right. Now, Jake went over there on Saturday. He spent the night at Grammy's. He went there and got there at noon. And she played with him the whole time. Yep. That would drive me bananas. Five-year-old play. And maybe I can tolerate that for an hour. Yeah. But after an hour, it's five-year-old play. Grandparents enjoy it. Yep. Yeah, because they don't get it every day. Right. They don't get it every day. They're starving for kid play. They love it. And I'm thinking to myself, wow, what would that be like? Be that old and enjoy playing over and over again, chutes and ladders. Yep. And that's just a good time. For hours.
Let's go connect four for the 15th time. Because you know little kids, you do something fun, they want to do it again immediately. Immediately. Let's do it again. Let's do it again. Sad story here in San Diego is about this 10-year-old kid that killed a 12-year-old boy. They were friends and got into a fight in East County. And this 12-year-old stabbed this 10-year-old friend of his. Oh, my gosh. And killed him. Sad. Ridiculous. Homicide's kids that age, really rare. And they're obviously not releasing this kid's name because he's a juvenile. But he went to W.D. Hall Elementary School. What happens to that kid? I don't know. Obviously, Woodsy was a kid that had emotional issues and everybody knew it. But, yeah. What do they do? They put him in juvenile hall until he's 18? No, no, no, no, no. No? Oh, no. Just released to his parents? Oh, no. He'll stay in juvenile hall well, well past 18. Really? Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. I didn't know that. Oh, he killed someone. Yeah. So he won't be out when he's 18. They have people older than 18 in juvenile hall? No. They go to jail. Ah. You go from juvenile hall to jail. Oh. But if you murder someone, you know, you're not, you're Michael Myers. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yep. You're, you're, you're not.
staying, you're not going home because they consider you a threat. Who knows what was up with this kid emotionally? And it's kind of weird because they were saying that he would throw temper tantrums and stuff like that, but he wasn't violent like this. You can't see that coming. You can't see it coming. And the other thing that they said, he did what all kids do. You get into an argument with somebody when you're a kid. And then an hour later, you're like best friends again. Right. You're friends again. Which was something really great about childhood that I kept for years. I don't know about you guys. Oh, I'm still that way. Me too. Yeah. You know, where like you get into a fight. And for me, I'd rather be like an hour later, pretend like it didn't happen. Absolutely. I had to learn from my wife that that's not the way that adults argue. But it should be. It should be. Well, your wife, I think, is a different story. Yeah, it's different with the missus. With the missus? Well, they hold those things, and they tally those up, and they hold those as currency. Generally, because they're real problems. Right. Yeah, well. It's not just over, like, a train or a toy truck. You guys are different, you know? You're from Venus, we're from Mars. That's right. You're from Venus, we're from Mars. And on Mars, you could just pretend nothing happened in an hour. Mars.
Guys grew up a lot. Yeah. But Venetians, what Venetians do is they say, hey, I'd like to carry this around with me like luggage for a while. Yes. And I'm going to hold that currency over your head a little bit. Oh, look what I've got. Oh, here's a problem. Hey, do you remember when you did this? Yeah, this is, you did bad, remember? Yeah. Makes me wonder what the hell's going on on Venus because I go, you know, wouldn't you guys like to adopt the Martian philosophy? Yeah. No, we walk right. Yes, well. I would like to have an official meeting with the Martians and the Venetians. And we just, we try to make a settlement, you know? But really what it is, it's the Palestinians and the Israelis. Absolutely. It's never going to, you're never going to completely agree. That's right. You just got to agree to disagree. Or just adopt our philosophy. Well, you know, we wish. It's not for a lack of trying on your part. We try to get along with the Venetians, but the Venetians sometimes, and by sometimes I mean, You know, sort of like on a, well, a cycle. There's a cycle of a pattern, I would rather say. A pattern that happens with Venetians that doesn't happen with Martians. Right. Kind of a flow. Yes, it's kind of, well. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Ebb and flow. There's an ebb and flow to the thing. Nope. No? Not. Hmm. Everhead. You know what will make women wacky? Some women. Other women, it doesn't affect them at all.
The birth control pill. Because the birth control pill, I think, gives you a big old blast of hormones. What would happen if a guy took one? Would we grow moobs? I don't think so. Bigger moobs, you mean? Yeah, right. I'd become an F cup. Yeah, you're both taking it, aren't you? Yes, good solid C. Yeah. Congratulations. You're supposed to trick your body into thinking you're pregnant. Well, my body's already been fooled. As has mine. Shame on me. Right here. Man, it's so sad to be you guys. My chest actually looks like a man's. Mikey can damn near donate. Mike, you should look into becoming a donor. Mike, have you got it written into your will that when you pass, they can take your moves, put them into an Igla cooler, and fly it to some place where...
Some poor girl is in need of breasts. Yeah. And they say, hey. They call her in the middle of the night. They go, we got good news. Good news. You're all set. We found a donor. You're stacked. We're flying. You're stacked. Girl, go out and get yourself that little black dress. Yeah. Woo. You can finally fill it out. You're going to fill it out. This boy, God rest him, is going to donate you. You can probably have some for reserve. Give some to your friends. You give some to your friends. Back up. Holy cow. No, literally. Holy cow. Although this morning, I woke up and lifted some weights. Nice. Yeah. In the closet. In the closet. Still just very strange to me. You don't have to be ashamed of lifting weights. You can come out and do them. Yeah, you can do them. You don't have to be in the closet. I'm in the closet, and I'm not coming out. About it. When Mike says in the closet, that's a true statement. I've seen the weight bench in the closet. I have a walk-in closet. What are you doing in Mike's walk-in closet? He wanted to show me his weight bench. We're both in the closet now. Yes. Yeah, Woods and I are both in the closet. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. Well, I work out at Choose Fitness. I'm not in the closet as far as the lifting weights goes. Though I should be because I don't lift real heavy weights and it's kind of embarrassing. Didn't that wake your wife up in the morning when you're there pumping? Yeah, because I grunt.
You know, Jay, obviously, right? They make noise when you put them down. They don't. They don't. They don't. They don't? No, I got the Bowflex dial weight. They're nice. Those are nice. They're nice. And they're plastic, and so when you put them down quietly, they just slide right in. How many rips? You know, Jay. What exercises are you doing? Yeah. Press. You do the press? I do the press. Do you do overhead? Press? I did not today. Today I did two exercises. What'd you do? Bench press. Bench press. Donut lift. I did that yesterday. It's true. It's actually true. Donut lift. Explains a lot. Over and over. I did the cleaning jerk yesterday, Mac. If you get my drift. We need to adopt if you get my drift. We need to adopt that.
That needs to be the Jay thing. If you get my drift. If you get my drift. So, okay, you did bench press. What else? Curls. Bicep curls. Bicep curls. Nice. Maybe you guys just leave me alone. No. It's not your job, Jay. You haven't been appointed like Mike Watcher, and you do. And Woods Watcher. I'm just keeping an eye on you. How come you don't watch LOB? Because she's perfect. Thank you, Jay. To Jay's defense. She is perfect. But, you know, that's still no reason to not give her a hard time. I was telling Mike this story this weekend of last week I went to the gym one day. And I do about four exercises and I do super sets. So I do three sets really quick, barely any time in between. So my workout takes about half an hour. So I came back here. I was meeting a friend here to throw the baseball with. And this SOB, Jay, calls me and goes, what are you doing back at the station?
And I said, I'm waiting on my buddy. We're going to throw the baseball. He goes, you're already back from the gym, huh? Gosh, darn it. Yeah. My things take about 30 minutes. He goes, that's a quick workout. I was like, dude. I think I might have punched my steering wheel. Shut up. You have papers. Woods has papers. You just watch your papers. Watch what's on your plate. I went to the gym. I lifted weights. I worked out. I came back and I threw the baseball. Boy, that was fast. I said off the air. You called me special to tell me that. Yeah, I called you. Called me. Just thought maybe you forgot something. God. I said, I think he's going to come walking out of my closet and be like, you still wear these? No, dude. I know for a fact you haven't worn these sandals in a year. Yeah. It's time to get rid of them. You have perfectly good sandals. Donate them. Dude. Busy body. Nicole is our phone screener. Nicole, let me ask you a question. Okay. Do you have to go to the gym and work out? Yeah. You do? Yeah, I work out. Because at 19 years old, I would think you don't even have to work at it, but you do. You got to go to the gym? Yeah. I think if you adopt that, just going to the gym early so that later on you don't have to really deal with it. How often? Three to four times a week. Wow. But I go to hot yoga also. Gosh darn it, man. You're developing good habits and you should keep those up. Those are nice habits.
You don't want to look like this, my body, when you get to be 36 years old. It's disgusting. I was putting my pants on this morning, and I was disgusted. You realize that every time you call yourself disgusting, you're calling me disgusting squared. All I know is I saw cellulite in my belly, and it hangs over now. It's so hard for me to hear you call yourself disgusting because I'm like, gosh darn. What does that make you? I was 180 pounds. Six years ago. It's like a dolphin talking to a gray whale and going, I'm so giant. I'm so giant. I have no dolphin. And the gray whale has to sit there and nod and be like, wow, that's, yeah, it's rough. It's really not fair to dolphins. No. I'm no dolphin, pal. Comparison. I got out of the shower and I went. It's disgusting. Thanks. Dude, I was 180 pounds and like svelte. I can't.
team the wiener anymore. You know what I mean? It's time. You're getting there. I'm getting there. I haven't been 180 pounds since third grade. Second grade. You're shorter, Mike. Yes, you're shorter. Does that make it better? Do you have a quota, LLB, of how many times you're going to point that out to me every day? Yesterday she hit on my height thrice. Three different times she had to let me know how short I am. I didn't. I was just reminding you that the weight thing is different. Wait till we tell you later on what L.O.B. did to Woods yesterday. She got him. I got him. God. She got him good. Guess we're opening the can of practical jokes now. It wasn't that bad. Really? No, it was pretty awesome. He's freaking out. I was freaking out. Oh, my gosh. I hate that bit. I won't tell you yet. Listen.
She's trying to get this guy divorced. Yeah, she really was. She's trying to get me divorced. I was giggling and my boyfriend Matt was like, you better stop it. Leave him alone. Thank you, Matt. She's just always just stirring it up. Stirring that pot up. Poking that tiger, dude. She's poking the tiger. All right. So here's what we're going to do. Got a lot of good stuff today. We didn't tell you about the Golden Globes yesterday, and I kind of feel like a douche because I should be the guy to fill you in on that. Yeah, I mean, you watched the whole thing and had that Golden Globes party. I didn't watch a second of it. With all your friends. You didn't have a Golden Globes party. You didn't watch a second of it. And then we're also going to fill you in on the latest on that Italian cruise ship. It's all coming up. This is The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. I believe I can do anything. I wear like a 44 small. Woods. I'm so lonely. Lauren. I'm very clumsy. And Jay. I'm wearing Dockers right now. Oh, my God. On FM 94.9. I want to let parents in University Heights know that Alice Verney Elementary School is closed because of a fire. I guess overnight there was a fire that was breaking news and did hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage to two different buildings.
So, if you have kids that go to Alice Burney, there's not going to be any school today. You know, they're out there and SDG&E went out there and cut power. And, you know, they're working on it. It happened in like the cafeteria area. So, not really sure what it was. If you want to call us, 570. 1-949-9 is the phone number you can call. And you can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 41. Woods is 36. He's our sports guy. Lauren O'Brien is 31. We call her L-O-B. Jay is our producer. He is 48 years old. And our phone screener is Nicole. And she is 19. Let's see. We got a lot of stuff. to tell you about today. There's a lot of news going on out there. This teenager that's from UC Berkeley that got beat up here, big story in San Diego. I'll tell you about that in just a bit. An M1 is a Mikey Show listener. When you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. That's what makes you an M1. And you're always making new M1s. You're joining this M1 revolution. And don't for a second think that we are...
not the underdog. Because the truth of the matter is, we are the freaking underdog. All of the other radio stations in town here are backed by giant conglomerations. And it's effective. And so we need you to be the Ron Paul grassroots kind of deal for the Mikey Show and spread the word. Word of the day, trespass. When I say that between now and nine, caller nine, I'll give you tickets to the Monster Energy AMA Supercross. and qualify you for the grand prize, which is parapet passes, lunch, and a track walk. So we did not fill you in on a lot of the Golden Globe stuff, which you might want to hear because the Golden Globe stuff goes on to be, a lot of times, the Oscars. Same stuff that happens to the Golden Globes happens to the Oscars. And I'll just run down a couple of quick things that you want to know, just enough to arm you when you go to work today. you'll be able to go, here, here, here, here, here. Great. The Descendants. Great. The Descendants artist, great. George Planner. Yeah, I'm so smart. And then, Woods, he told me this this morning, I could not believe the development in Denver. Yep. Tell everybody what has already taken place. Well, John Elway did a press conference yesterday. John Elway is one of the executives and, you know, obviously a former.
Great quarterback for the Denver Broncos. And has come out and already said, look, Tim has earned the right, Tim being Tim Tebow, has earned the right to be the starting quarterback going into training camp next year. I think it's a good move. It helps quell some of the media circus that will be around Denver next year at the beginning of training camp. Not all of it. Obviously, Tebow Mania is at a peak right now. Even though the guy's out of the playoffs, still at a peak. It's still all you hear. Tebow has come out and said, look, my goal this offseason is I'm going to work my butt off and I'm going to try to get a lot better. And John Elway has committed himself to actually getting down on the field with Tim Tebow to help him. I mean, John Elway was a brilliant quarterback. And if you look early in Elway's career, he was a lot like Tim Tebow. He was a scrambler. He was very evasive. Once he learned how to be a pocket passer, that's when the Broncos started ripping off Super Bowls. Wow. Yeah, so they're still going to look at other options at quarterback, but they're not going to bring in one of those high-priced veterans to be a backup. They're going to just continue to grow. The backup right now is Brady Quinn. I don't even think he's under contract. It says John Fox, who's the head coach, did not rule out the return of Brady Quinn. I wonder what you think as Brady Quinn going into training camp going, doesn't matter how well I perform or play.
I have no chance of competing for this job. Yeah, unless he gets hurt. Unless he gets hurt. Right. Wow. Yeah, I mean, basically, Tebow, he does need to work on his footwork and his passing accuracy. Denver had the league's best ground game, but they were 31 out of 32 teams in passing. Wow. Yeah, but he has already been named the starter. And again, like I said, it's going to help stop some of that madness that always accompanies a quarterback controversy. 17 million people watched the Golden Globes. Wow. Shocking. Ricky Gervais was the... Ricky Gervais, Ricky Gervas. Gervais. He was the host, and I'm going to give you a couple of quick facts about it. 17 mil watched it. Jimmy Fallon pissed off Adam Levine. They were on stage together presenting an award, and Jimmy Fallon did a bit where he started dancing like Mick Jagger because... Adam Levine and Marin 5 had a song about Mick Jagger. Moves like Jagger. Moves like Jagger. So Jimmy Fallon started doing a Mick Jagger imitation, right? And he was doing the rooster thing right in Jimmy Fallon's face. I mean, Adam Levine's face. What does that to me? Yeah. And Adam Levine is such a serious artist that he could, God forbid, he ever laughed at himself. I wouldn't want somebody in my face. I don't like people in my face. I hate it. If you're Mick Jagger, that's what you do, though.
Yeah, maybe. I just, I don't like when people are like space invaders. When somebody's close to my face, it trips me out. It makes me weirded out. Did Adam Levine throw his pashmina at Jimmy Fallon? No, he did not. Slap fight broke out. Slap fight. Yes. Out of my face. Stop it. He's so stupid. Rob Moore, or excuse me, Rob Lowe and Julianne Moore, older redhead. Yeah. There was a teleprompter malfunction when they got up to do their bit. That's the one part I saw. Yeah. And so they had to hand Julianne Moore a piece of paper to read off of. Oh, no. It was real awkward. Rob Lowe goes, hey, when's the last time you did a cold read in front of Steven Spielberg? Oh, wow. And it was just kind of like... That's a pretty good line. Yeah, it wasn't bad. Yeah, it was good. So Ricky Gervais got bleeped. Weird. He was introducing Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. And it's not really clear what he said, but apparently it was some kind of like curse word in a different language. George Clooney came on stage to introduce Brad Pitt, and he did a bit, and they're friends. He did a bit where he started walking up on the stage with a cane because Brad Pitt is in real life injured right now. He busted a ligament in his knee. Don't know how, probably making that zombie movie.
He fell with one of the kids is what I heard. Maybe making love to Angelina Jolie. Yeah, it takes a lot of work. Maybe kicking her out of the house. It gets pretty wild with her, I bet. You don't use your knee. Hey, he may. Maybe he does. You never know what she's into. Yeah, you can definitely use your knee. Yeah. Oh. You're doing it wrong, Mike. Yeah, because you're doing it wrong, pal. Get into, you know. I actually don't think I'm doing it wrong. I think you might be. I think you might be. You've never torn a ligament in me. You may be doing it wrong. Kelsey Grammer said backstage that him and his wife are having twins. So there you go. I thought he was like 80. He's an old dude. He's a pretty old dude. Yeah. Good luck. You know, Brad Pitt's making a movie right now about zombies called World War Z. Mel Brooks' son, Max Brooks, wrote a book called World War Z. I'm reading it. I've been reading it for five months now.
Slow, just can't get through it? It takes about a year for me to read a book. I didn't take you for a zombie book, Guy. Me neither. I didn't either. But my brother read it and said that it was really good, and I started to read it. And it instantly got my attention because of its realism. I know that sounds ridiculous, but they're talking about outposts in Israel that are real. You know, Kazakhstan. I like it when they mix the real in with the fake. Yeah. That's why I like Twilight. Because it's talking about, you know, actual places that exist. Like Oregon. Yeah. And real things like werewolves. And vampires. Vampires. Right. You know what I mean? Sparkly people. That's right. I couldn't tell you what the film The Artist is. Nor could I. It's black and white. I know that much. Can't tell you what The Descendants. Me neither. That's a great show. I just watched it. It's not a show. Oh, that's one of my pet peeves. It's a show. It's a movie. It's a movie, Jay. You know what a show is? Seinfeld's a show. Yeah. Makes me insane. It's a movie. Makes me insane. Ah, no. See? We're going to go to the show. We're going to go to the picture show tonight. It's about a husband whose wife is in a coma. Oh, sounds amazing. And they live in Hawaii. That's George Clooney, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. And it's how they deal with the grief. Oh, gosh.
You pay money to go into that? No, no. We get it for free. Oh. That's right. Your wife is a member of the... SAG. SAG. Mm-hmm. So you get those movies. That's not very nice to say about his wife. I didn't say she SAG. First of all, I didn't say that. She's in really good shape. Really good shape. Screen actors. She's in really good shape. Screen actors. Mm-hmm. There's no SAG on that woman's body. There's not. Why do you know so much about it? What a terribly depressing film. Yes. It was fantastic. Was it? Made you feel good in the end. Shut it. I don't want to know. Yeah, I don't want to hear. And then when the zombies come onto the island. Oh, my God. George says. 29 people are still missing on the cruise ship disaster. The Costa Concordia with the cowardly captain. Wow. Well, the reason I say that is because he abandoned ship before all the passengers had. It's unbelievable. Yeah, it's unbelievable. And he wouldn't go back on. They were trying to get him to go back on. That's unbelievable. What is Sally? He's in jail. And the reason they think this happened, by the way, the cruise ship hit a reef. And the reason that they think it happened is because he was deviating off of his course. Now, why would he? I've heard a bunch of stuff. Give me what you got. Tell me what you got. I heard that one of the people on one of his crew wanted to do a standing salute to his family that was going to be on shore. No. Yep.
Way. I read that too. I don't know if it's real. I don't know if it's real. It had something to do with Facebook too, didn't it? Did you see that part? What does that mean? It was not necessarily a prank, but one of the crew members' family had sent him a Facebook message like, hey, we're going to be on the shore. You guys swing close to the shore and do your standing salute for us and we will be there. I'm like, gosh darn, dude. I hope that's not true. It sounds so crazy, but Anything's possible. Yep. Yeah, he was arrested. Is it for manslaughter? Yep. Manslaughter. And being a coward. Being a coward. Because not everybody would do that. You know, some people would stay on that boat. Yeah, you're supposed to. The captain goes down. Yeah, the captain goes down with the ship. That's why they have the saying. If the band plays on, you as the captain stay on. Yeah, remember Titanic? The guy walks in the room, shuts the door, and goes down with the ship. Yeah, you don't abandon it.
You stay on there until, what's her name? Rose. Yeah. Is on the. On the door. Yeah. Gets on the door. As soon as Rose gets on the door, you're probably good. You're fine. All the people are blue. You're wondering why. Yeah. Not very comfortable in there. That's right. In the pool. The pond, as they call it. Maybe scoot over. Yeah. Maybe lose a couple of LBs so the rest of us can get on the door, too. I would like a space on that door, too. Maybe I'd lay on top of you. Wouldn't be the first time. Maybe the body heat of the two of us on that door. Saves both of our lives. Saves both of our lives. But I'm just, I'm cool just bobbing in the water. Just take turns? Yeah. If you just want to stay on the door, I guess I'm cool just bobbing here. Yeah. And that phrase, never let go. Yeah. You clearly let go. Well, you were heavy.
We're starting to retain water. Right. But yeah, I had icicles on my eyelashes. Yeah. And now I'm sinking to the bottom of the ocean. How do you expect me to hold on to a block of ice? It's true. It was never let go under, there was a couple conditions. And I shouldn't have to state that as one of them. The caveats. Yeah, I shouldn't have to state as a caveat that my lover. One time lover. It's not like we were. Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. There was Cal. Fair enough. I made love to him several times. Yeah. Fair enough, but lover nonetheless. You would think that you would move your fat A over. Well, I was going to do like eight hours on for me, eight hours off for you, but you only lasted like an hour. So it was kind of like par for the course. Maybe we take this whistle that we have and we blow it earlier while I'm still in the water. Right. Maybe you blow that whistle while I'm holding your hand. Yeah. Because after I sink to the bottom, you have no problem blowing that whistle for the rescue boats. Maybe we blow it together. I didn't have the energy. Rose, maybe it's Essie here in the water, you know, and I just want to get. Maybe it sucks in here. Maybe it sucks. You told me to get up here. I mean, just doing what you asked. Right. Just trying to be chivalrous, but maybe. How's that whistle doing for you? Yeah. I had this. Yeah. Good thing, huh? She pulls it out of her bosom after he sinks to the bottom.
Oh, yeah. I forgot about this. Yeah, great. It's really nice, Rose. Yeah, keep blowing it. Keep blowing that whistle, Rose. I'll be in here. I'll be down here. If you have an electric blanket that hasn't been invented yet, then just pass that along if you have it. A nip of whiskey, please. Please. Any freaking thing. Oh, Rose. There's another sad story out of San Diego is this teenager from UC Berkeley. This is a really, really terrible thing that happened to him. He was out here visiting some friends and he has a girlfriend that lives here as well. 18 years old, freshman at UC Berkeley. Comes out to visit friends a couple of days after Christmas on December 27th. Drops his girlfriend off and goes to his friend's house where he was staying in the college area. And apparently he gets out of the car and these cowards attack him from...
Behind. 1235, 1255, somewhere in between that time is when it happened. And he was attacked from behind because he had no defensive wounds. Wow. He was robbed. He was beaten. And really, really a sad story. Woodsy, in terms of, I know you love dogs. Listen to this. He was discovered by their neighbor's dog. That dashed out the door of its house and ran over to him. Not surprised. And the quote was, if he hadn't been found by the dog, he probably would have died. Oh, my God. Not surprised. So the dog's owner came over, put a blanket on the kid. Oh, dude. And so the kid is now at the hospital here in San Diego at Scripps.
Mercy. And please pray for that kid. Hopefully he's going to make a recovery from this. Man. Yeah. Just tough. What a bunch of P words. Gosh darn, man. Come on, dude. I mean, you can't wrap your head around it, man. No, you can't. You can't. It's like one thing if you hear about a one-on-one attack, there's a crazy person. How do you band together and do something like that? Yeah, let's go ruin somebody's life today for... $18 or $18,000. It doesn't matter. And you know, if you're that group of people, you don't think that way. Imagine, but if you're listening right now and that's ever been you or it is you, imagine if it was your mother. Right. Imagine someone doing that to your mother. Or your brother. You know what I mean? It's just, it's unbelievable. Terrible. Last night was another debate.
Gosh darn, the GOP is a freaking mess. Just a mess. It's like the Jersey Shore of politics. It is. Rick Perry, who has not called it quits yet, going after Mitt Romney, saying this. My record is one of those that's been open to the public for quite a few years. And as a matter of fact, my income tax have been out every year. And, Newt, I think you're going to let your income tax come out Thursday. And, Mitt, we need for you to release your income tax so the people of this country can see. Well, why don't you say it? You seem to know something. What is it? Yeah. Is he a criminal? What's your beef? Yeah. What did he do? Is he evading taxes? Yeah. But don't just put that out there and just let it hang there. Let's say he made $200 million. Yeah. Okay. All right.
Cool. Well, we actually have it. I can actually tell you. Mitt Romney is worth between $85 and $264 million. Wow. By the range. Yeah. Most of that's dividends and interest from his investments. Wow. And from giving speeches. Wow. Newt Gingrich. He's worth between $7 million and $31 million. He's got a whole bunch of businesses. And he's got stakes in a multimedia company. You just hear the words multimedia company. You know, it's dope. It's dope. Ron Paul. Guy's worth between 2.4 and 5.4. He invested in 20 mining, gold, and silver companies. Nice. Rick Santorum. Remember him? Million to 3 million. Rick Perry, million to 2.5 mil.
Barack Obama is worth between $2.8 million to $11.8 million. The salary went up for presidents, by the way. It used to be $200,000 a year. Now it's $400,000. Wow, doubled. The majority of his income comes from book sales, though. It's a good idea during a recession and when we have trillions of dollars of debt. Right about to double the. No. Well, you will not ever get my agreement on that because I'll tell you why, because it's the president of the United States. When it comes to the press, I'm always like, hey, listen, I'm surprised the press doesn't make a million bucks a year. Whatever. You know, I don't think it should be like this crazy amount. But dang, man, you're the president. Alex Rodriguez makes 25 million a year. Yeah, but for how long did we determine that $200,000 was fair? That's a long time. How do you justify doubling somebody's salary like that? Yeah, doubling. Nobody ever gives you a double. Yeah, probably. Like, how about a 3%? You guys are tough. That's what corporations normally give. Tough boss. Imagine if L.O.B. was Barack Obama's boss, and he goes to her and says, Hey, listen, it's been this for decades and decades. I think it's time to give me a raise. Okay.
Well, what's inflation? Do you know, Barack? Not off the top of my head. You know that. You know I don't know that. Well, then that's a problem. Well, fine. So how does 5% sound? How does 100% sound? No. No. Barack. What about 100% of a raise? Barack. Meaning I make 200 now. No. And I'd like to make 400. Yeah. Why? Has your rent gone up? You're being passive aggressive. Right. Groceries. Gas. Cell phone. Cable. You know I don't pay for that. I ran out of things, but I know we take care of a lot. Travel. Magazines. You're being fast. You know I don't. Suits. Travel costs. I live in the White House. Suits. I don't have rent or mortgage. Haircuts. Fine. Manny petties. Fine. Skin care. Gym membership. Gym membership, yep. How about as soon as the country's out of debt? Oh, boy. We'll go up and we'll give everybody money. I agree. Until then. Everybody has to sacrifice. How are we still getting money loaned to us? That's what I want to know. I can't get an extension on my credit card. I'm worth trillions of dollars in debt. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just keep going. Muhammad Ali is 70 years old today. Jim Carrey is 50. 50? Jim Carrey? Can you believe that? That's it. Oh, my God. Jim Carrey is 50 years old. Oh, yeah. James Earl Jones. He's 100. 81.
We already said Betty White's 90, Kid Rock's 41 today. More like Man Rock. Vidal Sassoon, if you don't look good, we don't look good. That's right. He's 84. I met him. You did? What? How'd you meet Vidal Sassoon? Because I used to work for a student loan company. One of the biggest clients we had was the Paul Mitchell Schools. Yeah. And Vidal Sassoon was there. And did you talk to him? Yeah. Hey, Vidal. It's hard to understand. Did you say, hey, Vidal? I said, hello, Mr. Sassoon. Is that a true story? Yeah. You said, hello, Mr. Sassoon. And he was like, ooh. I would give $100 to see L.O.B. go, hello, Mr. Sassoon. John Paul DiGiorgio, the guy that's in the Paul Mitchell commercial. Oh, that guy. With the ponytail? Yeah. The white salt and pepper ponytail? Yeah. Nice guy. Oh, wait a minute. I got to do this. I got to do this. Paul Young is 56 years old today. Love this song. This guy. Every dad. Oh, I have a great story about my dad and this song. Holy cow. It'll top any dad story I think you have. We'll hear it next. Dwayne Wade's 30. Michelle Obama is 48 years old. HBD. Is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Hey, gang control pal Woodsy.

It's the best thing I've ever done. You can do so many more activities with clear vision. Oh, yeah. And without contacts and glasses. Oh, yeah. It's the best. I was playing baseball this weekend. I'm the host of the program. I'm your diminutive friend. Woods. I am real talented, but I'm not stupid. Lauren. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. Yes! And Jay. I like my coffee black. On FM 94.9. Ella Bee just taken to the house? Yeah, I think she's done for the day. What do you think, Ella Bee? I don't know. What do you think? What's your take? Identical. Oh, goodness. Word of the day is trespass between now and nine. I'll say that when I do. Call her nine. We'll give you tickets to go see the AMA Supercross February 11. So, my, how things have changed. For my birthday, I would, in the past, have been asking my wife, hey, can we get tickets to the Deftones or Van Halen? Yeah. Two of my...
most favorite bands. I turned Rebecca on to the Deftones during the White Pony album about a decade ago, but this year she'll be taking me to see Peter Cetera at Copley Symphony Hall. I see nothing wrong with that. Thank you, Lauren. On purpose? I mean, you have to go? Yes, on purpose. I thought you said that you'd be going to see Peter Cetera at the Copley Symphony Hall, but that couldn't be, right? Because I'm looking at a... Man that has a goatee and sleeved up tats real good and bald, hard ass. Guy looks like he just got out of Chino. Listen, you can make jokes all day long, but I know one thing for sure. Jay Isbell and Stephen R. Woods love them some Chicago songs. There's no question. There's driving in my car. There's no question. But I'm not going to go see the...
bleach blonde, super white toothed, Peter Cetera live in concert. Why? But you love the music. I like it. No, no, no. You freaking love it. I'm not going to go see him in concert. Why? Because you worry about what people think? No, because it'll be lame. It won't be as good. Yes. The music will be good. I have the music. The voice. I'd be prepared for, like, a lot of mom genes. What do I care about the mom genes? A lot of swaying. Most importantly, be prepared for this. Ready? A little time away. He's not going to be able to hit those. I heard you say. I heard you say. Yeah, that's true. From your body. Peter, it's from each other. Gosh darn it. What are they freaking? Where's my agent? I mean, when they're still out there, there's something weird about seeing somebody that was really famous 25 years ago, and they're still out there ripping through the same old standards. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. Hey, I don't give a crap what anybody thinks. I like what I like, you know what I mean? Dude, you can like all you want. Well, the same can be said about Van Halen. That is true, Jay. That is true. Except Eddie can still shred. Yeah, he can. I'd rather watch the DVD.
I'd rather watch the DVD than go. You know why? Because there's going to be drunk people throwing up horns and throwing beer cans and you're out on that. Gosh, man, I'm 41. I'm a grown adult man. Just because you're 41 doesn't mean you have to give up and go to Peter Setera concerts. I feel like giving up and going to Peter Setera. I mean, that's what I prefer. I prefer giving up, calling it quits, and saying, look, what's the deal? Listen. If I were, God forbid, suddenly single, I wouldn't tell people that I was going to see Peter Cetera, but I would want to go see Peter Cetera because I liked all that music. That's the difference. Woods likes it secretly. No, I like it openly. Yeah. I am way out of the closet on Chicago and Peter Cetera. So why not see a show? Because it would be a waste of three hours for me. Yep. If you leave me now. You'll take away the biggest part of me. So you wouldn't go see the Rolling Stones? No, absolutely not. I've never seen them. I never would. But you're not that into them? I like the Stones, but I don't want to see a 97-year-old Mick Jagger that can't sing anymore. Well. But I'll tell you what I will go see. I will go see Van Halen because I never got to see him. So it's just personal preference. Yeah. Isn't that all it is? Isn't that all it is?
570-1949. If you want to play buzzword, call us right now because we're going to be playing. Well, hang on because I got other stuff to do. We're going to do that, but call us now. 570-1949. Settle. If you want to play buzzword, call us right now. You got to pick me, Woods, or L-O-B to represent you in buzzword. It's super easy to play. We'll explain it in a sec. So today is Paul Young's birthday. Another one of the, you know, dorky. 80s dork fest. Great tune, though. Yeah. The song is Every Time You Go Away. Sitar? Yes. Sitar. Sitar. So, Lauren, tell everyone about your dad. It's so good. He was so embarrassed. So, good thing my dad does not listen to the show. He had one of those little hand recorders.
Big in the 80s. And he was a, you know, quote unquote businessman. Yes. Never really knew exactly what my dad was up to. I just knew he was going to the office with the tie on. Right. So he would like, he had like an hour and a half commute and he would make these notes to himself while he was driving. Yeah. And tell himself or like he would record meetings and stuff like that. So of course me, I'm like 10 years old and I'm messing with his stuff. I'm in his office. I'm looking and seeing what he's got. Yeah. My dad used to have a like. He worked for a spaghetti sauce company. And at one point he had like a plastic mold of like spaghetti being held up on a fork. And so I used to just like go and be like, what is this? Look at all this stuff. So I found this recorder. I'm playing it. And at first it's like boring stuff. And I figured out you could like speed it up, slow it down. So as I'm speeding it up, I hear it go into like... I'm like, what is this? So I stop. My dad in the middle of driving. So it ends on like, ask Bill to get the shipment out by Tuesday. And then it goes to. So long and no free baby to me. My dad recording himself in the car singing Paul Young every time he goes. I would assume because he felt he did it. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I mean, not.
Not okay. Not decent. So good. Where is my recorder? Where is it? I gotta capture this. You know what? Because later, I'll... This is an out there thought, but if I ever have the occasion to meet a record producer, here you go. Yep, take that. When he did the, I can feel it, he goes... What did I do to take it a step further to... embarrassed my father once I found this. I knew this was gold. That's like finding the jewel of the ocean. Solid gold. So instead of just showing my mom in private or showing one of my other five kids in my family, I decided I was going to wait until we were all having Saturday breakfast. Oh, wow. And my dad was sitting there with his paper reading and I said, everybody, I have something for you. Holy cow. And I played it.
And everyone was dying. And he's chasing me. His face was the color of a tomato. He's chasing me around the table. Oh, my gosh. You're a monster. No, he was laughing. He was actually laughing. But he was trying to explain himself. He was like, I'm a long drive. Yeah, you lose your mind. Get bored. I guess you do. Apparently so. But the good thing about it is, when my dad is long gone, I will still hear that song. Yeah, and think of your dad. And all I think of it, yes. Absolutely. You get a word. Answer is what you do. Woods excels at this game. No, I don't. I'm all right. He guarantees a victory today. He is sure he'll win. He's so good. I'm getting this head, pal. No, you can't. Right up in that kitchen. M1 Gloria from San Diego. Who would you like to represent you in buzzword? You got it. Bob. Hang on the line. M1 Josh from Fallbrook. Who do you want?
It's in the bag. Wood. Probably is. In the bag. M1 O-Sider from O-Sider. You got me. Hang on the line, okay? Lucky. Okay. Okay, Jay's going to give us a word. After he gives us a word, he's going to give us a clue. We've got to scream out the phrase, the whatever, that that word is involved in. This game is fun for a couple of reasons. One, we've got to shout out the answer. But two, Jay... Sometimes has English as a second language. Isn't that true? That's a true statement. It's perfectly spoken. Last week he said, being in a state of consciousness. And that's being. Being. David Bowie. Follow me. Ready? Being. Being. Right. Being. Being. Yeah, you got it. There you go. So we're playing for a $50 gift card to Dave and Busters. Dave and Busters. Eat. Play.
What's the word? The word. And. A-N-D. And. It's a connecting word. It's a conjunction, right? It's a conjunction. And. Oh, no. I don't like it already. We'll try it. Here we go. They went up the hill. I'm going to give it to L-O-B. I said ants. What the hell? I shouldn't have eaten that hashish this morning. Ants do go up the hill. That's true. Especially in a sandwich. Yeah. They're delicious. Give them a shake at the dinner table. Shaken and stirred. Salt and pepper. L-O-B. Shaken and stirred. Here's a tough one. 80s TV lady detectives.
Oh, Cagney and Lacey! Yep, there you go. There you go. I didn't hear you. For those of you that don't speak Woods, he said Cagney and Lacey. Had a big thing for Time Daily when I was a kid. Oh, man. You were the one. Yeah, just one. Love that butch haircut. Yeah. Here we go. Basic. Like this simple food. Bread and butter. Ding, ding, ding. Weird. How dare you? How dare you? How dare you? Richard Gears. Pretty woman! Soldier flick. An officer and a gentleman. Make off with the loot. Grab and run! Take the money and run. Damn it! Oh, gosh. That's it. Take the money and run. L-O-B. Hate this word. I love it. So stupid. Everything. In reference to a gun. Locked and loaded. Nuts and barrels. The kitten caboodle. Stock. Locked, stock, and barrel. Mikey got it. What is it? Locked, stock, and barrel. Locked, stock, and barrel. Is that what he said? Locked, stock, and barrel. All right. Here we go. Nuts and barrels, I said. Nuts and barrels. I combine two. What's the word? And awaken. Rise and shine.
Oh, my gosh. And sparkle is what it says. Gosh. Here we go. NBC cop and lawyer show. Law and order. Dang it. Dang it. Kids sandwich. People's jelly. L-O-B. All right. New word. Got a new word. What's the star? What's the star? Mike three, Lauren five, Woods two. The word is star. S-T-A-R. Here we go. Captain Kirk show. Star Wars! Star Trek! Star Trek! I got it. Woods. Nerds. Yeah. Dang it. Five-pointed. Marine. Five-star general. Creature. Starfish! Starfish! LB. She's red hot. She's red hot. She can't be beaten. Oh, here's Steph. Lawyer and former TV host of The View. Dad! Darren Star! Star Jones! LB. Star Jones. Darren Star. Yes. Darren.
Star. He's somebody, I think. Okay, what's the score, L.O.B.? It is Mike 3, Lauren 7, Woods 3. Wow. He wrote The Sopranos. Okay. Got a couple of four-pointers here. Four-pointers. That's fair. Meteor. Star! Falling star! L.O.B. Is it? Ding! Ding! Ding! That's hot. She won. Name that tune yesterday. Yeah! Buzzword. This is her week. It's my week. Fine. M1 Gloria. Yes! She did it for you. Lauren is absolutely awesome. She's on fire. Yeah, so are you. She's on fire this week. Sitting over there in that tie-dye tank top. True story. Yep. True story. This girl is something else. She told us a story the other day. I could not. I think Woods and I were the most shocked. Yeah. About the headshot deal. Oh, yeah. I've never. I've never heard. We looked at her and said.
What are you doing? What is wrong with you? It was a different time then. It was the early 2000s. Oh, when life was safe. Right. This is the same girl. You're about to hear the story. This is the same girl who, while she was in Hawaii by herself, got into a car with a stranger. Let a car. A stranger into my car. Yeah, let a stranger. Let's get the story straight. Yes. That's so much better. Wasn't he shirtless? Yeah. Yeah. Didn't he have no shoes on? No. No shoes. Wasn't there a pouring rainstorm happening? No, no. Wasn't it raining? It was just dark and it was in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, just keep driving up this way here. Just keep going. Somebody said, no, no, not this one. Not this one. Over here. For all intents and purposes, you should be laying in a field in Kauai. Wait till you hear this one. Oh, yeah. That was Maui. Maui, sorry. Road to Hana. Yeah, Road to Hana. Yeah, it was Hana. Most isolated area. Of the island. Just keep going. Keep going. The Hantavirus is less scary than being in a car with a stranger. Yeah. He had a loincloth on. Smelled like patchouli and BO. Oh, good. Perfect. Great. So tell everyone what you did in the early 2000s. All right. I was starting to get into acting.
As everyone knows, you need headshots to be an actor. But I didn't have any money, and I wasn't going to invest in these, like, fancy headshots. I was looking for free ones. Weird. Free. Free headshots. Yeah. I wonder what type of person does free headshots. A budding photographer. A budding, yeah. Or a budding sexual pervert rapist. As the ad said. So, first, so I went to this place in Oceanside. Wait, wait, wait, wait. How did you find him? Craigslist. Craigslist. Creepslist, yeah. Yeah, Creepslist. It was a different time then. I'm budding. Trade for print. I'm budding more than you could ever imagine how much I'm budding. I am budding so hard. TFP, which I had to Google it, meant trade for print. Yeah. And I was like, all right. Trade sexual favors. Right. Against your will for print. I'll give you 8x10s if you give me 8x10s. Exactly. So I went into his apartment. I'll be right there. You here for the headshots? Where is it? I'll be right there. You here for the headshots? Yeah. Oh, hi. You must be a Lauren. I am, yeah. Are you Ted? Yeah, I'm Ted. Hi, Ted. Do you have a studio? I do, but...
You just have to put on my shirt. I have to put clothes on, actually. Okay. That's normal. Oh, what was that? The moth. Oh. Want me to swat it? Swat it. It's beautiful. It's the most beautiful I've ever. Ever. Still free, right? You knocked on the door of a stranger that you found on Craigslist in Oceanside. Yes. House or apartment? Apartment. Oh, my. I know. Oh, my. And then you walked in there. Yeah, I went in. And then what? I got changed in the bathroom. Holy. I got a bonus. So what did you change into? I had a couple different looks. What were the looks? One was I had a pair of jeans with rainbow back pockets, which I was not like. expecting them to be in this because I want to, you know, headshot. Don't just move on. Yeah, you want a headshot. You had a pair of jeans. A pair of jeans and they had like rainbows like stitched onto the back pockets. They were my favorite jeans. Jordache? No, some random brand. I don't know what they were. What am I going to wear today to this creep's place to take these pictures? Well, more importantly, what am I going to take as my costume changes? Those are like my everyday jeans. I wore them. I wore them so much that I can't wear them anymore because I wore them out. And what was the other outfit?
So I had like a white wife beater, like a black. Yeah, something to turn him on. No, I had read that you just wear like solid color tops. So I brought all these different solid color tops to like change. For those of you that don't know, Lauren's so foxy, she was put into a Barack Obama promo video. Yes, true statement. She's a blonde girl. Blue eyes. Pretty. Yes. Goes over to a Craigslist guy. She's changing into her jeans with the... rainbow on the butt in his bathroom. Yeah. And so I wanted headshots, but then all of a sudden he was like, if you could just like kneel down and then turn around and like look over your shoulder. He wanted headshots too. Yeah. She wanted headshots and he wanted her to bend down and look over her shoulder back at him. He took like the headshots and then he was like, okay, now just like, okay, so face the wall. I'm so uncomfortable. And then he's like, oh, you're too tall. Get on your knees and then look over your shoulder. And I was like, ah. Listen, I know you want headshots. I have an idea, though. Can you turn around and show me your nude behind? Okay, I know you want headshots. Just an idea. Just spitball in here. No idea is a bad idea right now at this point. It's okay to say no to the guy in Hawaii.
This was before the Hawaii guy. And it's okay to say no to free headshot guy. Free headshot Ted. At this point, I was getting worried. I was getting worried. I want this story to continue. Okay. And I mean every bit of it because I'm sopping it up. I'm sopping this story up. It's like gravy. Yes. Don't do it, ladies. It was a bad move. Oh, there's more. There's more. There's more. There's more. Bye, gorgeous. Good job. Here's traffic. Mikey. 570-1949. Or text. That is funny. At 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up in just a couple. FM 94.9. There are different types of fresh. Because I have to eat oatmeal. I know. You hate it so much. I don't want it. You're eating a bran muffin, Mike. Yeah. I just had yogurt and the hard-boiled egg. Yogurt's great. You know, the only reason that I ate that oatmeal was because of Jay. And shame, yeah.
Shame. I can see it in your face. Nicole comes in. Nicole's our phone screener. When she comes in and takes a breakfast order, I can see it in your face. You get nervous. Listen, I'm not even ashamed to order, like, the most fattening food to Nicole, who's a 19-year-old girl. Yeah. That's not what gets me. No. Jay. Because if I sent her out to get what I want. Chorizo burrito. Yes. Jay would go, I can't take that look that he has. He has this look. It's the look. Just tell me to mind my own business. You got to start. We tell you that. We do. We tell you that every day. Every day. But then off the air, you'll say something like, you know, I just want to make sure that I'm around for my kids. And I'll go, oh, OK, good. You know, scale it back. I'm doing five good days and two just terrible days. Want to pull back the curtain? Jay, tell everybody what I just asked you through the intercom. He asked me if he should have surgery in February. Well, I'm slated to have surgery in February. Right. You know why? Gallstones? Yes. Painful gallstones. I don't even know what they are, but they sound terrible. Sounds bad. Well, they hurt like a SOB. Yeah. How long will we be out? About three days. Oh, boy. And he can't do it on a weekend. Oh, boy, here we go. The surgeon only does the surgery, I believe, on Tuesdays. I know a guy in Tijuana that will do it on a Friday. You know a guy in Tijuana do it on a Sunday. Night. Sunday evening. Isn't Tijuana, doesn't that mean you have an aunt named Juana? Tijuana. Tijuana. Tijuana. Yes, L-O-B. It means that I have an aunt. Named Juana. I meant that Jay was pronouncing it wrong. Can we just isolate that clip of him doing that, please? I wish I had a video to go with it. So you know how Jay responded to me when I said, do you really not want me to have surgery in February? Jay hit the little intercom back and went, you should probably do it.
Well, he's planning a spelunking trip right around then. I need to book those dates. It's just, you know. You enjoy surgery, though. You've made that statement. It's not elective. It's like a vacation for you. It's not elective, though. He's not getting a gym job. I do enjoy being able to be catered to. 100%. What else are you going to have done while you're in there? Breast reduction? Ouch. Nose job. Oh, wow. Hair implants. Oh, wow. Maybe some lengthening of your legs. It's going for the... It's going right for that jugular. I didn't see that coming. Neither did his wife. One minute, she was just top of the world. Yep. Next minute, married to that guy. Shame. Lucky. It's a damn shame. Catch my drift. Holy cow.
When I talk to her tonight, I'm going to apologize. We do our texting that we like to do. I called Rebecca yesterday, my wife, and I went. She answered the phone. I go, hey, girl. Yeah, you did. Hello? She recognized my number. Did you guys go get lunch after the show yesterday? Who's we? Mike and Woods. No, he did it in here. No. You were in the bathroom or something. I was just trying to catch you doing something bad. Nope. Okay. Oh. If you don't what? Oh. Was cheating. Come here. Uh-oh. Did I? Come here. And then I want you to write an amount down. Uh-oh. Oh. He called me and said that he would be less embarrassed if he were at an Asian tan. Yeah. This was not yesterday. It wasn't. He would be less embarrassed if he were at an Asian tan about to get. Yes. You know. The old number two.
Woods is supposed to be on a diet. I'm supposed to be on a diet. I am on a diet. Yeah. I have cheat days. Weeks. He pulled into a Wendy's drive-thru. Friday. Before they were even open. And they had to tell him in broken English that they weren't open yet. That's a low point, my friend. That's rock bottom. That's rock bottom. I thought they were open 24 hours. It was 9.45. And I pulled up. We're not open yet. But I waited at the board where you order for a minute and a half. And it was silent. So here's me sitting there, cars running, radios going. I'm like, hello? Hello? Nothing. There's nothing. There's nothing. Yeah. So then I go up to the window. Can I help you? The window opens. I'm like, hi. Can I get that, try that new W burger? Oh, my gosh. Tell everybody what it is. Oh, my God. Tell everyone what it is. Oh, my God. Tell everyone what it is. Wendy's has a new burger. It's called the W. And first of all, they've improved their- It's as big as the actual W Hotel. Yes. They have improved their burgers so much there. They have the buttered buns now and the better meat. It's so good. Buttered buns. Paula Deen thinks that we're out of control.
This thing is like an In-N-Out burger or a Big Mac. It's got the special sauce on it. And so when I pulled up and saw it, I went, oh, sweet Jesus, I got to have it. I got to have you right now. 945, they weren't open. I sat in the parking lot and waited for that. 15 minutes? 15 minutes and waited. I was the first guy in line of the day. I was the first customer served at the Wendy's in Encinitas on Friday. You'd think, especially if you're on a diet, if you get all the way there and you have to be told that they're not open yet, that you'd go, this is ridiculous. It should have been a sign. It should have been a sign. And he said that he was mortified because he thought that an M1, one of our listeners would see him.
Mortified enough to sit there for 15 minutes. You can't get him to sit there and do anything for 15 minutes. He'll wait on a hamburger. Oh, like a mofo, dude. When I saw this picture, I went, I got to have you. And let me tell you. I was so proud of him. Let me tell you. Hey, I have cheat days. I eat. Through the week, my diet is impeccable. There's no donuts. There's no Dr. Peppers. There's no nothing. Dude, come Friday after this show, it's feast time. So Friday, Saturday, and Sunday? No, Friday and Saturday. Sundays are back to normal. All right. M1, Mike from Tennessee. Hey, how you doing? Are you listening to us online? No, I listen by podcast, man. I've been trying to call in. I tried to call before Christmas, and I was running a couple days behind, so I missed y'all to wish y'all a Merry Christmas. But I've talked to you and Woodsy on Facebook before. Right on. I'm trying to spread the word, man. I love you guys. You guys are hilarious. You're awesome. Thank you. Thank you very much. That means a lot to us. Back to L.O.B. Don't think I forgot. Oh, I really thought we had moved on. Oh, no. Before we left, we told the story about how L.O.B., the foxy blonde, she responded to an ad on Craigslist from a guy that was willing to take free headshots. Free headshots. On the house.
On the house. Gratis. Just come on down to my apartment. Yeah. Change in my bathroom. Please. There is a camera installed more than likely. Now, L.O.B. Yes. Did he have a studio there in his apartment? No. No? Just not a lot of furniture in there. LLB, did he have those things? Not a lot of furniture in there, by the way. Oh, of course not. That's his creep pad. Yeah. He's married with a family, guaranteed. It's a lair. It's a lair. Did he have the things on the stand with the big umbrellas behind it that like soften the light? No. He didn't have one of those? Just like a point and shoot. Was it a Polaroid? No, it was a point and shoot. Yep. No, no, no, no. For real? Yeah, doesn't that just mean you just take a picture? No, no, no. A point and shoot is one of those cameras that you carry in your pocket or your wallet. Or you mean, excuse me, your pocket or your purse. Okay, it was a little fancier than that. It had a lens, a detachable lens. It did, it did. Got it. Yeah, and it came in like a purse. He had like a black purse. That he carried it in. Yes. So we did some shots there. I was getting uncomfortable. I was. Why?
Did you take your top off? No. No hand bra? This is where I would turn Jay's mic off. Don't scare the bunny. You're going to scare the bunny back into her hole. I did not take my top off. Why were you uncomfortable? Oh, well, I was on my knees. In his apartment? Yes. Looking backwards. Living room? Smiling at the camera. No, it was like the kitchen wall. Kitchen. Let's go into the kitchen. Sexy. Hey, I've got an idea. Before we do your head shots, let's go into the kitchen, have you get on your knees, and then turn back and look at me. Oh, yeah. She's doing it now. There it is. Oh, wow, wow. Oh, my God. I see what he was going for. Okay. Oh, God. Okay, okay. And so you took a couple of photos. Yes. Okay. And then? And he did some of the headshots, but he would be like, yeah, yeah, sure, sure, sure. And just like go through them so quickly and then be like, now I'm going to try this. And do all these like. I want you to pretend that you're a deer. So get in the deer position. He had like a magazine and he would be like, see, look, you know, and like try to get me to like pose like this. Oh, yeah. The magazine was Hustler. Yeah. No. The magazine was Hustler. And he went.
This is very artistic. Yes. I want to try to recreate, well, this. This. It was like Vogue, but I was so stiff and awkward. I have to see if I can find these pictures. So was he. But it gets worse, Mike. How could it possibly get worse? Because then he had the idea of let's go to the beach and do some shots there, which I was actually like, whew, that makes me feel more comfortable. Get out of here. Yeah, it's in public. But his suggestion was. I don't want to get separated. Let's just take my car. Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah. Let me get my shovel and my lime. Yep. That's pretty much it. Where's my chloroform? Have you seen my rope? Did you just have no ability to say? I had no ability to say no. I tried to. I was like, oh, I'll just follow you because I'll probably have to leave from there. He's like, the sun's going down anyway. It's going to be just a quick trip. And then he was getting lost.
while we were driving there. My heart's pounding. He's getting lost, and then he started having freakouts because he was getting lost. What did the freakouts... Oh, gosh. And, like, smashing, like, the dashboard, and I was like, oh, my God. Yeah. I was surprised you didn't just open the door at a stoplight and run. That's what I would have done. The only thing that I had working with me was it was daylight. And so I was like... That's it, though. That's all. Other than the sun. She didn't have anything else going on. Girls have been abused, abducted, and killed in the daylight. You know that. I know this, and I was naive. I'm trying to put this couch in the back of my room. I know. I know. So then we did some shots at the beach, and then he got more than wrong. What kind of shots? Tequila? No. Yes. Or Jaeger. Yeah. What kind of shots did you do? They were much more normal at the beach. And then I told him that I was cold and I felt like I got all that I needed and I wanted to go home. He wanted to take pictures of your face finally at the beach? No, I was like, like one, I was like laying down. Oh my God. Laying down. On an elbow. Like laying on my side with like a, yeah, my hand.
My head like in my hand. We need to see these. And then propped up on one elbow. And then I was like, then I was supposed to look like I was like contemplative. So I had a sitting with my knees up and my arms like wrapped around my knees looking. On this next one, try to pretend you're biting a pipe. Yeah. Bigger. So terrible. And then. Pretend the pipe is larger. Bend over, touch your toes, and grab your butt cheeks, please. The only reason I'm saying this is because I'm submitting some photos to a contest. Yoga Weekly. It's about yoga. But I have my clothes on. Take them off, then. Oh, man. It was very stupid. Very, very stupid. You should not be alive. That should be on an episode of I Shouldn't Be Alive. Yes. A thousand percent. God. I would not recommend it. As soon as we got back to the house, I didn't even go in. I just got right in my car and I was like, you have my email. Bye. Did you get the pictures? Yeah, I did. Were they any good? No, they were awful. They were awful. You've heard this story millions of times. Girls going to take what they think is going to be some sort of modeling for.
But are they in fact modeling photos? Jersey Gone West is next on 48 Hour Mystery. Very stupid. Wow. So glad that we still have our LOP. No kidding. Needless to say, when I finally paid for headshots, I went to a woman. Yes. You did not do the free guy from Craigslist. Do you still have those pictures? I am sure I have them somewhere. I'd have to dig them up. Can we please? See them and post them online. Yeah, if I find them, you can definitely see them. Oh, my God. I've seen some years, Mikey. You don't have room to talk. Did you do a grab-your-butt-cheek shot, too? No. I saw one that you still had hair in. It's pretty funny. Although my daughter just found my headshots, and they're like, I was never more embarrassed than my entire life. Let's put our headshots on. What headshots? You bring your headshots. I'll bring my headshots. Done. I have a ton. I've been to a couple of photographers, and they're all.
There's some embarrassing stuff. I guarantee you, hers are not as embarrassing because she looks hot and all of them. I'm wearing jorts. I'm wearing a vest and a top hat. I'm wearing a vest and a top hat. Are you serious? Oh, yeah. Were you trying out for the Chippendales? Oh, no. The guy had props. Yes, because the Chippendales wear top hats. Don't they? No. No. Sorry, Mr. Chippendales aficionado. I like girls. Why are you wearing a t-shirt that says the thunder from down under? I'm not. is the Mikey Show. I like it. I like it. Don't really like to swim. Unlike most Latinos. Woods. I can put down a 20 pack of chicken nuggets. No problem. Lauren. I got a little pepper up my nose. Had to sneeze. And Jake. No, I didn't cry. Come on, man. On FM 94.9. Cry my best to decipher what's going on with Wikipedia. I want to hear this. Okay, because it's a big story today. Wikipedia is going to go. offline for a period of time. They're going to shut down access from midnight Eastern Standard Time tonight until midnight tomorrow night. Why? They're protesting an anti-piracy bill. Now, when I heard that, I thought, what would you have against anti-piracy? Why do you hate pirates? Piracy. Why do you hate pirates? No, the deal is, it's about...
Music and movie people not wanting their stuff being sold overseas illegally. Right. But apparently, people like Wikipedia are saying that it's going to, quote, hurt the technology industry and infringe on free speech rights. If anybody gets this, by the way, 570-1949. It'll hurt the technology industry and infringe on free speech rights. Among their concerns are provisions that would weaken cybersecurity for companies and hinder domain access rights. The most controversial provision would enable federal authorities to blacklist sites that are alleged to distribute pirated content. That would essentially cut off portions of the Internet to all U.S. users. But I don't get where the rubber meets the road on that. I don't understand, like, what is Wikipedia doing right now that a anti-piracy law would screw up? What are they upset about? I wonder if there'll be information because...
Wikipedia is kind of like a community. People can add things about it. And I wonder if it will just lead to like certain politicians won't want information about them out there or the government won't want things. And it'll be like, well, if we allow this, where's the line going to be drawn? That's just my assumption. I don't know. I don't know if that's right. Well, the music and film industry, that's who's really supporting it. And they say that they need it because of the intellectual property and jobs and stuff like that. I know this. You can go on Wikipedia and you can like, I can say, I can make a Wikipedia page for you, for Woods. You have to have at least. My Wikipedia page was not done by me. No. But it has to be three legitimate like news source links to even start the page. So it can't be all, there has to be some fact base there to start it. Yeah, but all the stuff. You can add to it. The stuff that's on Wikipedia.
about me is not true. Some of it's flat out a lie. Yeah, I don't know. I guess maybe you're not important enough for people to delete it. What do you mean? People at Wikipedia will be like, they'll debunk things. Like if I went on there and I wanted to add that Brad Pitt was caught with a dude. in a bathroom in San Diego, that's not going to get through the filter. Because it would say, what's your source? And then, or Brad Pitt himself could refute it. I mean, I'm sure you could refute what's on there about you. How do I do it? Right, contact them. Yeah. Or change it yourself. Just wait, though, because they're going to shut down the house for 24 hours. Then you hit them up, maybe Friday. That's like something, I'm surprised that the federal government will be able to blacklist. That's like what China does. Yeah, that's true. That is. That's communists. Well, I mean, we're not supposed to be able to give stuff away for free, like, content that's, like, copywritten. That's jacked, don't you think? That's true, too. Don't you think that's jacked? Yeah, I think so. Because what I... Wikipedia, they don't have pirated movies on Wikipedia. I don't understand this. I don't either. Today is Wikipedia... Here we go. We got people that... No, what's up? M1 Jesse, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead.
Okay, so basically what's going on here is that this is going to extremely ramp up what checks have to go through, you know, for something to be posted online. But it's also going to make punishment really severe for really minor things. Like just streaming a movie online, just watching a movie online, which you might not even know that that's illegal, suddenly becomes an actual crime that you can go to jail for. That's a felony. Wait a minute. Hang on a second. If you are streaming a movie online that's in theaters or something, or not, forget even, we all know what that's about. Yeah, but you think if you get caught, you're like, I'm not going to go to jail for that. You'd think you'd get some sort of slap on the wrist, maybe a fine, if anything. This, to me, is the entitlement generation. The entitlement generation says, Well, I get to decide what my punishment is. Well, and I get to decide. That's too severe. And I get to decide what I want to, in essence, steal. Yeah, I can steal. If I decide that I want to steal. I can. I can. And I can pretend that I didn't know that it was wrong. Yeah. And if you want to punish me, I should be able to decide what's too much or what's too, you know, give me a break. Well, didn't we all like.
You're taping things off the TV. You know, I mean, we all know we can do that. We know that we can do that. Well, you're technically not supposed to be. I guess you can't sell it if you're doing that. Well, yeah. And we all know that. Like, we know that. Right. It's a good example of when, you know, the Chargers games were blacked out last year and there's a few of them that were blacked out. I would get link after link after link after link of these places where I could go watch these games. Yeah. On one occasion, I was like, yeah, I want to watch the freaking Chargers today, man. It's Sunday. Tried to pull it up. And it was just real sketchy. You know, it was like a foreign website. And immediately I go, this isn't for me. And I got out of there. But there are people that live and die by it. You know, live and die by streaming music, stealing that music, downloading that music, downloading videos, you know, watching them on illegal channels. And you shouldn't be able to do that. Yeah, but it's not just that, though. It can be something official, too. It could be, you know, somebody uploads a video to YouTube, like a music video wasn't their video. Jail, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Or even just clips of movies that you go, like, you want to see that one part or sound clips? Right. You know, they all send everything. Yeah, exactly. Like, you know, you guys love, I'm sure, you know, seeing all the parody stuff on YouTube that people like to do. Jail. Yeah. If we watch it, but not, if it's on YouTube, then we can watch it. Yeah, but, you know.
Stuff can go up to YouTube, onto YouTube without a filter. Now I think that might change. Well, here's the deal. YouTube has some things in place that don't let you do that. For instance, we did a video for autism with my wife in it. And we used the song by the fray, Don't Let Me Go. Well, when we, somehow YouTube instantly knew. And they said, well, you can do it, but here's how you have to do it. Okay, fine. We'll jump to the hoop. You know, but they allowed it. Really? Yeah, they allow it. I mean, there's stuff that they allow. And if it's not allowed, they let you know it's not allowed. And so I don't know, man. I mean, I'm a rule guy. Yeah, but this is the ability to put the rule in place. It's not a rule yet. So you don't, I mean, you're not following a rule that's already in place.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. They but they just you can understand. I don't know. Maybe maybe you disagree. But L.O.B., don't you think that it's kind of messed up that people can like sell movies and junk like that? And I don't think that you like the selling of stuff like that, that should there should be maybe some more crackdown on that. But I think when you put like clips of songs and movies and stuff like that on YouTube, I actually think it. helps the sales in some way. I do too. Makes you want to go out and be like, oh, now I want to go see Dumb and Dumber. Yeah. Like, I just saw that little clip. And, you know, people, artists give away songs for free specifically for that reason. You know, I'll give you this free song. You'll want the album. And by the way, this thing has a name and it's called SOPA. Are you there, Jordan? Yes, I'm here. Jordan's from Alpine. Why is it called SOPA? What is, explain. You know, I don't know what exactly SOPA means. I know a lot of basically what the flaws are in the idea of SOPA. Basically, the problem with it is going to be that it's going to make the police essentially big business. So they can shut down a site for, you know, whatever reason, and they don't have to answer to anybody and tell them.
you know, why it's being shut down until after. So basically, if you're running, you know, anything and you have music on there, they can shut your site down without basically any provision. Who's they? Government? No, no, no. Actually, government won't be much involved. It's going to be the record companies. It's going to be movie companies. Basically, Hollywood. Wow. So you're saying... That if I have a website and I got a song on there from Journey, Columbia Records will shut you down. I don't believe it. I'm sorry. I just don't think I don't. You know, it's kind of like the the the the Patriot Act where they could listen into phone conversations. What do I care? You know, I'm not doing anything wrong. I used to be surprised. There's all little, like, programs now. Like, my friend had a company for onesies, like, baby onesies. And it was, like, My Rockstar Baby. And within six months, she got contacted by some, like, hair metal's wife. And was like, yeah, you got to take that down because I copyrighted, like, My Rockstar Baby something, something. You know, so there's no way that that lady was just sitting at her computer searching for that. There's little, like...
I think they call them, like, spiders or something like that, that, like, search until the end of the Internet to see if anyone's messing with their stuff. SOPA, by the way, is the Stop Online Piracy Act. Miguel? Yeah, I don't think anybody's, you know, against, you know, or for. For online piracy, right. It's just about, you know, you're basically putting the Internet in the hands of Hollywood. Yeah, it's saying right here. And that's what people are against. It's saying that it violates the First Amendment, is internet censorship, and will cripple the internet, and will threaten whistleblowing and other free speech actions. How? That's all I want to know is just like the how part of it. Like he goes, well, they can do... Who's they? They.com? Who's they? Whoever's in charge of stopping piracy. I don't know who that would be. It makes me think that this... I'm always suspicious when people don't want to explain themselves. Maybe they don't know. Yeah, I think it's... No, no, no, no. What I mean is Wikipedia. Oh, yeah. Wikipedia is doing a deal. If you're just tuning in, they're going to shut their website down. And it's going to happen tonight at midnight Eastern time. And it's going to go until tomorrow night at midnight. Now, I've read three stories on this at least. And I have yet to read a story that very clearly and concisely says...
From Wikipedia's point of view, we don't like this law. And the reason we don't like it is because we do this right now and that might stop. And I've read it. It's not there. And when it's not there, that makes me suspicious. Why is it not real clear? I just want to know. Well, they also they'll provide historical information that might now be able to be censored. Stuff that's not necessarily in some of your textbooks when you're a kid. Where does it say that? That's just inferred. And also, I think if they shut that down for a day, so many people go to Wikipedia every day that it'll create this awareness. You go to Wikipedia. Awareness about what? That's my other beef. The SOPA Act. We don't know what it is. But now we're talking about it. I know, but we don't know anything. We're talking. We're always talking. We're always talking. I think they're doing it to get people's attention and have people. You ever just get attention, but you're not getting attention for anything specific? It doesn't make any sense. Sounds vaguely familiar, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. Sounds like... Sounds like a certain movement. Mm-hmm. It doesn't make any sense. I just want Wikipedia... I want John Wikipedia to call. And I want John Wikipedia to say, well, yeah, dude, you know what you got right now on Wikipedia that you're not going to have anymore if this thing goes through? What, John? Yeah, that's a good call. There could be a... I know that I've been... I go to Wikipedia.
several times a day. You're guessing though, LLB. You're about to guess again. I'm telling you, at the top, there's been a message that I've been ignoring for the past couple weeks. I've seen it. It says, here's a message from the founder. Let me see. It's from Phil Wikipedia. John just does the legal stuff. Phil is the idea man. I'm on Wikipedia right now, but I don't see it. Let me go to the English version and it says... Welcome to Wikipedia. Please note, in less than 14 hours, the English Wikipedia will be blacked out globally to protest SOPA and PIPA. Super. What the hell is Sopa and Pippa? Pippa's Kate Middleton's sister. Yeah, she's cute. Oh, that's right. And she is a huge thorn in their side. Oh, wait a minute. That's the redhead. No, that's Pippa Longstock. I think Sopa is like soup. It's soup in your homeland. Small little noodles. I thought Sopa, you could put honey on it. It was kind of like a fake. That's the Sopa Pia. Oh, Sopa Pia. Let's see. M1 OJ is on the line from San Diego. Hi, OJ. Hey, Mikey. How are you?
Good, good. You can explain SOPA to me? Somewhat. Okay. So, again, SOPA's Stop Online Piracy Act. You mentioned, you know, this is the entitlement generation. It's also the regulation generation where we look to the government to solve every problem. It doesn't work for every problem, especially on a federal level. Second, you know, you mentioned... Okay, but just explain SOPA to me. It's another way for the federal government to get their paws all over the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Okay, but be specific. What will it mean to Wikipedia? Well, Wikipedia is trying to bring awareness to this. It's like doing a sit-in. Oh, so it's not going to affect their actual website? Probably not. I don't know how it would affect their actual website right now. They're doing an Occupy. I suppose it could if you take this to the end. You know, the government is going to be able to censor the Internet, and that's the problem. It's not stopping piracy. Everyone wants to stop piracy. Censor the Internet how? It said they could blacklist certain sites. For what? They're going to create another agency. What do you mean for what? What will they censor? I think that's why people are against it, because it'll be up to their discernment.
Oh, we don't like the content on here as the federal government. Okay, now, if that's the premise, it's absurd. And this is just one man's opinion, but the reason I think that's absurd, it's like filling in a blank that hasn't happened that we assume will happen. Right. We're assuming that that's what's going to happen, that the government... is somehow going to want to do something that will... But once you give that power, it's a lot harder to take it away. It's a lot harder to deregulate. How is it going to affect what I look at on the internet? And my life. How's it going to affect my life? The verbiage in there is it leaves it up to the interpretation of whoever's in power. So when I go to Fox Sports and I read my sports stories, it's going to be censored? Yes. That's what I mean. For me, personally, I'm like, censor whatever you got to censor. It's not going to affect me personally. But you know what? The truth is they're not going to. They're not going to go freaking censor. They're not going to censor the stuff that we care about. What are we talking about? The WikiLeaks thing that were out there, that was a big thing. And the government would absolutely not allow stuff like that to be out there. WikiLeaks was jackasses.
I don't care. I still want my access to Jack Act. Wait, wait, wait. It's freedom of speech. WikiLeaks is also a threat to our security. They're giving away, like, secrets about our security. Maybe we should have better security than that. How about Kitty Porn? You guys want that on there? If he can do it, if he can get into it, then why can't foreign governments get into it as well? Well, I'll tell you. This brings up an interesting point, and it is this. I've said for a long time, the Internet's the wild, wild west. Oh, yeah. It's seriously like back in the 1870s, and anything goes. They're flying by the seat of their pants. That's why Internet bullying is able to happen, which, by the way, I think should be punishable by prison time. Internet bullies should be punished criminally. It's the lowest form of cowardice, and it also really hurts people. So if somebody says something mean to you? Yes. If somebody writes something mean. Whatever happened to sticks and stones? Well, it doesn't work because sticks and stones actually break freaking bones. Yeah, sticks and stones do, but words should never hurt you. Words actually can hurt worse. Words can actually hurt worse. See, I think as a parent, don't let your 14-year-old on, but as adults, we should be able to say anything we want to each other. Listen, once it's your kid, I got a kid with autism. I don't want anybody making fun of my kid. And if anybody went online and made fun of my kid, and they would. Yeah, they would. They would. There's ghouls.
Dude, there's ghouls. How is your five-year-old on? No, not my. He's eventually going to grow older. Yeah, 18, 18 years old. 14, 12. There's kids that are committing suicide because they're being bullied online. You should be looking on to see what he's doing. It's your job as a parent. My job as a government to help your son grow. Wait, so you're telling me that because there are bad parents out there who are not going to be governing what their kids are doing. and they're bullying my kid, you think that that's okay? No, I think that it's your job as a parent. It's not my job as a government. I don't want the government coming into my house going, hey, no, no, no, your son does not get to see that. How about this? Do you have a problem with the government saying, if you bully someone online, not only are we going to censor it. Absolutely. I don't want anything censored. But we're going to punish you. At this point, you can report it, though. You can still you can report that kind of stuff. There's an ability. Absolutely. Pay attention to what your kid's doing. If he's moody and down, you need to know. Let's let's talk about. OK, let's say and I agree with you, by the way. But again, what about I got a kid? I'm watching what he's doing. Right. But Bob isn't. And his kid is hurting my kid.
I would absolutely go. Then in that instance, if you see it, I don't want government going, oh, wait, look, we've detected. Look, okay, here we have it. There's a trace on this. Okay, let's go to Bob's house now. I don't want that. I don't want a trace. Not only do I want them to go to Bob's. Not only do I want them to go to Bob's. Oh, I want to report him. Report it to the website. And that can happen now? You can do that now? Yeah, you can report things like that to Facebook. Absolutely. You can report that. If you leave it up to the subjectiveness of what one person thinks is bullying, maybe another person is like, well, that was a joke. You took that out of context. Well, sorry. But that's taking away people's freedom of speech. Put them in jail. Listen, that, to me, you've got to draw the line, man. Listen, this bullying thing online, I guarantee you, there's going to be laws. Yeah. There's going to be laws. I wish that if I were in any kind of political power, that would be one of my big things. There is nothing worse to me than a bully. There is nothing. And I don't care if it's online. And, oh, my gosh, are there some spineless people? Oh, yeah. Well, like political ads, too, talking, you know, mudslinging and all that stuff. That's okay. They're bullying. That's true. And it's sick. Okay, well, let's arrest them. Half of my tweets, I'd probably be arrested for. Yeah, let's take both. Put her away. Well, hey, listen, man. I've never been more passionate.
about something than internet or even real life bullying. It's terrible. I mean, it is the absolute worst thing. And it's so strange. Here I am, a guy that used to be really, really affected. When I was growing up, if I saw anybody with special needs, it was so difficult for me because it hurt. It hurt me. It hurt my heart. And then to have a kid with special needs. Then to go on to have a kid with special needs. That's why you have someone with special needs. It could be. I mean, it could be. You've got the compassion. It could be. But at the same time, it's hard. It's really difficult because somebody says something about your kid, you want to slit their throat. It's over. You want to slit their throat. It's over. Which there should be laws that allow us to slit their throat. And by the way. There are people that will go online and say crap about me. You know, think about it. I'm somebody's kid. Yeah. Yeah, man. I'm somebody's husband. You're somebody's father. You're somebody's friend. Yeah. It's be different dot org. Be different dot org. Go to be different dot org.

Yeah, I like this tune. Story we were seeing up on the TV about a guy that died from getting pepper spray. Yeah, man, he was in jail. And they said that it was a trespass thing. Yeah. Trespassing, he got tossed in jail. At like an Arby's or something. It was an Arby's. Weird. But hey, who hasn't trespassed at an Arby's? You ever had one of their sandwiches? Oh, yeah. I'll trespass like a madman. Forcy sauce all over the place. Trespass like a madman at Arby's. I'm Mikey. That's Wizzy. That's L-O-B. That's Jay. Our phone screener is Nicole.
Let's see. Woodsy, what are we missing in sports? Man, this is an absolutely crazy story out of New Jersey. And this one's from my friend Lauren O'Brien, who is from New Jersey and is a big Eagles fan. New Jersey politician had to apologize on Monday for a Facebook posting in which he called the Philadelphia Eagles, quote, gay birds. Oh, wow. A politician? Yes, but apparently he's a seven-year-old politician because who has said the word gay birds in forever? So here's what he said. On his Facebook profile, quote, we're not just going to lay down. We come to play. Who the hell do you think we are? The Dallas Cowgirls or those gay birds from Philly? No, we are the New York Giants. So somebody, you know, from the CEO of a gay rights group called them and said, hey, listen, those quotes are inadvisable. So then what does this guy do? He says, look, I didn't actually compose the gay bird portion of the message. But I'll take responsibility since it's under my name. Yes. See, I wrote the first part of it. Then an assistant came in and wrote another part of it. My assistant, Bryce, came in and thought, you know, I need to add to this. It's just not strong or controversial enough. I'm a Facebook editor. And he came in and he spiced it up.
Also, really quickly, Peyton Manning's dad, Archie Manning, is still speaking for his son, who is about 36 years old, has come out and said that Peyton wants to stay in Indianapolis. There are a million rumors swirling around of him being traded to possibly the New York Jets or even the Washington Redskins next year to be their starting quarterback. Really? Yep. Wow. How about that? M1 Sarah from Oceanside, what was the word of the day? You just got tickets to the AMA Supercross at Qualcomm on February the 11th. And I'm going to, yeah, you're welcome. And I'm going to enter you to win the grand prize of a pair of pit passes and lunch and a track walk. So hang on the line, okay? Okay, so what do we have as a prize for Dumb Drunk Dare, Jay? We can throw down a, let's see, a $50 gift card to Dave and Buster's. Dave and Buster's Eat, Play, Drink. Okay, now here's what we do.
We are going to play the Dumb Drunk Dare. As you know, I do not believe in getting drunk. In fact, this only highlights the dumbness and stupidity of the drunk guy or drunk girl. But in a fun way. Now, here's the deal. We need one of the M1s to play for themselves. And then the rest, we need somebody to call up and say, I think Mikey will win. Woods will win. Or Lauren will win. No, Jay. No, Jay. Jay. That's right. Sorry, sorry. I think it's completely wrong. I think what it is is we all say, are they going to know or are they not going to know? And we each go around and the listener has the same name. Yeah, there's three people that pick a horse and one person guesses themselves. Right, yeah. Yeah. Is that what you said? Yeah. It sounded totally different when you said it. You stopped smoking marijuana cigarettes during break, please. I can't. They're free out here. You're wrong, Mike. You're wrong. No, Mike. No, what it is is you pick a horse.
But I just said you pick a horse. I said you pick me. But you got it wrong, Demi. But you don't pick a horse. Yes, you do. Yes, you do. Yeah. You pick me or you or Woods. And then one person plays for themselves. So one person plays for themselves. One person plays with themselves. Yes. Okay. What? Yeah. That's it. You got it. Okay. M1 Ninja, are you there? I'm here. Okay. You are going to play for yourself. Okay? Okay. All right, hang on the line. Hang on. Let's see. M1 George, are you there? Yep. George, who do you want? Lauren. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Sorry, you can't have Lauren because she asked the question, so I'm going to give you Woods. Hang on. Okay. And then up next we have M1 Julian from Fallbrook. Julian, are you there? I'm here. You got Jay. Cool. All right, hang on.
Now, we do have to have Ninja on the line for this. Ninja, you're going to be listening. And here is the first question. L.O.B. talked to a girl first. Can you tell me your name? My name is Virginia. And Virginie in French. Oh, very nice. Meet Virginia. Can you tell me your age? 27. So how many drinks have you had? That's six drinks. I weigh 102 pounds. Whoa. Wow, she's holding her own for six drinks and 102 pounds. A little miracle is what we call that. All right, now here was the first question that Virginia got. What former Godfather's Pizza CEO was the first to drop out of the race for the GOP nomination? The answer is Herman Cain, and what we must decide is, will they get it right? Now, I'm going to say yes because she sounds so lucid. She sounds very with it, Jay. I want to say yes as well. Woods. Yeah, she did the French pronunciation of her name. She knows Herman K. Let's see. Penelope Cruz. Penelope Cruz. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, gosh. Oh, no.
You forgot about me. I'm sorry, Ninja. I'm sorry. Ninja, what did you think? I thought no. You thought no. Well, good going. 102 pounds? No way. No, you played the wrong one. Well, I played the wrong one. Look. Q1, A1. Q1, A2. Q3, A3. We have a new system here, everyone, and we're still getting used to it. You don't know, huh? I don't know. Oh, shoot. It's all right. It's all right. A Ninja. Yeah. You got to bear with us because we have this whole new system of recording and stuff. It's wackadoo. And it is, man. It's all wacky. And so it's really hard to figure out. Yeah, I don't know. And L.O.B., you don't know. When I loaded everything. It was normal. It was normal. I tell you what we'll do. But if we start playing clips, then we're going to give away answers. I know. I know. So let's try this. Let's go to the guy. Can we do that? You think that one's messed up, too? Yeah. How about I just answer some questions? Let's do some trivia with you. L.O.B., you're pretty sure the guys are messed up, too? No, I'm looking at answer four, and that timing is way off of what it should be. So weird. So weird. Our system. Our system. I can do some trivia. I spent like 45 minutes. Well, all the info is there.
It's all actually there. We have all the clips. The problem is they don't match up. They don't match up. The answers don't match up to the questions. Yeah, and I can't play them because it'll give it away. Let's do this. Let's get Ninja's information. Let's wait to get him to hang for a little bit. And after we break this next time, then we'll come back. It's a good idea. Hey, Ninja, are you cool with that? Or do you have to go? I kind of have to go into work. I'm sorry. Well, we'll give you a prize. Yeah, we'll give you a prize. We'll give you a prize anyway just for your time, okay? All right. I love you guys. I love you. I love you, little angel. Wow. That's so big. Wow. Did you know that Burger King's going to try home delivery? It's the last freaking thing in the world I'd need. Yeah. On a Sunday morning going, ooh, don't hit the spot? A freaking double Whopper. Yeah, let me just call up. They're starting it in Washington, D.C., and then they're going to try to expand beyond D.C. if it goes well in D.C. It's actually pretty. I was trying to think of who's that lazy, but. You're looking at two of them. Right here, right? Oh, I will really, if that happened, I would go, Mike, come on, man. I mean, you can't do this. You can't do this. That is like calling a prostitute to your home, pretty much. You're like, look, I'm at rock bottom, okay? Well, here's the thing. Most people are going, fries don't travel. They don't keep. Yeah, they don't. Fries don't keep. Part of the fun is eating them in the car. Eating them in the car. Maybe they have a hot bag, though. That's the deal.
Burger King is saying that they can get this stuff to you and it's still going to be good. And they're showing that there are other Internet sites that are able to do it. Amazon in certain areas is able to deliver their stuff the same day. Crazy. It's awesome. You can order something on Amazon and get it that day. And Burger King would see a spike in Mikey's neighborhood. Well, there's a website here that I've used before, Expressly Gourmet, and they're awesome. But it's not fast food. It's like really good restaurants. So in other words, it's nothing like this. Well, then the fact that they deliver random stuff to your house, you can get a bunch of different stuff. Yeah, but don't they, in fact, deliver healthy food? No. You can get anything you want from a million different restaurants. Except for places that don't offer delivery direct to the customer, they'll go pick it up for you. They'll go get it for you. I know this place. Called them this weekend. I had a hankering for some Italian. Yes. I called a place. They delivered.
Fresh to my home, a pizza right out of the oven. Unbelievable. Right out of the oven. You're telling me that they had pizza to your house? Go ahead. Yes, they did. They even had a man that drove it and delivered it right to my door. Hey, do you like Indian food? My door. Do you like Indian food? I do. Oh, do you? Yes. Well, with this website, you can actually get Indian food delivered to your home so you never have to leave your couch. What? Wait a minute. But don't they deliver Indian food now? They do not. They do. Not from five-star restaurants, they don't. Oh. Easy. Gourmet. Gourmet. It's in the word. Like, Burger King's not gourmet. Right. It's fast food. But they can keep, what my point is, is they can keep anything good and hot for you. Yeah. Fresh. Real fresh. Right. You just suck at it, my friend. It's one of my favorite things to do. Having a party and being like.
I got delivery for everyone, and when it shows up, it's a fish filet or whatever they have at Burger King. No, try the fries. Try those fries. Try those onion rings. I know a great little plate. What if it was Wendy's? I'd be broke. No, I'd be broke, I'm saying, because I love Wendy's. Yeah, but this is Burger King. Ah, wait, wait, wait. What, L.O.B.? What? If McDonald's did it. Did I just blow your mind? Did I just blow your mind? Caramel sundaes? Is there something you like more than the other? Yes. Wendy's is number one. What if Jack in the Box did it? What if they did? U.S.O.P. Think about this. What? Carl's Jr. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to blow your mind. Taco Bell. No way. Delivers. Wait a minute, Mike. You're telling me the Burger King song about delivery? Are you kidding me, man? You know what, dude? I actually know this place called Expressly Gourmet. Why? Expressly Gourmet delivers the best and freshest most food right to your door. Delicious. Hey, Woods, isn't it true it's five-star? That's right. Yes. It's five-star food, Mike. Yes, Thin Dong, it is five-star. Hey, Mike, you think you like burgers at Burger King? Why? Try Dave & Buster's. They've got the tastiest burger in town.
Eat, drink, David Mustard. That's right. Hey, Mike. You forgot play, Woods. Ah, play. Is this a story about a fast food restaurant that's going to deliver? That's crazy because just the other day, I was at Sports Chalet getting my baseball bat and a hand-woven glove. Hey, Mike. Yes. Yes, Woods. You should spend less time talking about... eating fast food, and more time thinking about going to your old pals at NutriShop. Why? These guys will deliver a fresh meal plan for you to help you lose weight. Why? NutriShop. You know what, Mike? Speaking of fast food restaurants delivering to your house, I used to walk in and I couldn't even see the menu. But after going to see Dr. Sandy T. Feldman, why? Now. Yeah, it was. Here's the thing. I used to go in looking like a pud to any place I ordered food, but lately I've been using Ovation. Why? OvationHair.com helped me get on track and look nice. One of the things I love about it is how fresh and clean it makes my hair smell. Why? They'll even deliver to your house in a box. I'm just kidding.
Getting Woods is one of my favorite things. And I told him the other day, I got him the other day. Woods is, and I mean this, one of the greatest comics when it comes to sarcastic humor. When it comes to sarcastic humor, he will get me and it will make me laugh so hard. Because when it comes to sarcasm... He's got his PhD in sarcastic humor. I get it all the time. So when I can get him with a real sarcastic thing. God, it stinks. That's why I'm pranking my old pal Woods. Oh, yeah. You little SOB. Listen to this girl. Guess what Lauren did to Woods yesterday. Jay doesn't even know. You don't know, huh, Jay? Yesterday, Lauren decided that she was going to play a little prank. On Woods. Yep. So she started texting him from a different cell phone. Not her cell phone. I have a Google phone number. What the hell is that? What is a Google phone number? You are a weirdo. I've had this Google number for a while. Right. And I just downloaded the app the other day. Yeah.
So it'll, I can call and text people and it shows up as that number. Right. I tried to get my boyfriend too, but it didn't work. He wasn't answering the text. So he passed the test. What did you put? I went, hey, with a smiley face. No. Oh my God. He didn't answer. He passed the test. That's genius. You're a monster. And then I sent a question mark like two hours later and he still didn't answer. He probably knows you. He's like, this is probably my girlfriend trying to bust me. What did she do to you, Woods? Yesterday at 12.01 p.m. I got a new toy on my phone. Yeah. Yesterday at 12.01 p.m., I get a text message. I am, of course, laying in bed watching TV. OMG, you are so funny. I respond immediately. Immediately. Who's this? All right. Are you serious? Are you serious? OMG, LOL. I go, oh boy. Right, right, right. And I know the oh boy means somebody's screwing with me. Yeah, and I don't like it. And I don't like it. Boy, question mark. Yeah, right. LMFAO. Yeah. So I respond, wrong number, question mark. She writes back, woods, exclamation point, exclamation point. Oh, God. And I write back, yes, too funny. I say, who is this I'm speaking to?
Nothing. Then I ride back. I let him sweat it out. You let him sweat it out. How long? Ten minutes? No, it was only like three or four minutes. It felt like ten. I ride back. Really? Oh, at that point, I was rolling. Oh, my gosh. My boyfriend is like, leave him alone. And then she says, it's L-O-B. And I still didn't believe it was L-O-B. Because I am such a paranoid freak. Right. I looked up some reverse phone number on my Google. I Googled this number. And it came up with some lady's name that I then went to Facebook and cross-reference. I'm like, this is creep. Did I make sex with somebody? Oh, great. I have some lady's number. Yeah, you have some lady's number. And she says, sorry, ha, ha, ha. And I wrote back, you monster. She texted me a picture of her phone getting you. I took it with Matt's phone. And he was like, you're going to wait till tomorrow. I go, no, no. I go, I just want to let him sweat it out for like five minutes. And then I'll tell him. I hate that bit. L.O.B., I have a question for you. Yes. Is there any response from your boyfriend besides not responding that would have been acceptable? Like, in other words, what did you type to him? I wrote, hey, with a smiley face. Hey, with a smiley face. And he doesn't know who it's coming from. Yeah.
It's a random number. And she's testing. What are you going to say back to me? If he would have texted back, who's this? You would have been okay. Yep. Then I would have kept going. And what would you have said next? Something like I did to Woods. Like, oh, come on. Like, you don't know. Something like that. You are monstrous. I know. Entrapment. It is entrapment. It's total entrapment. Now, what if he innocently would have thought that it was like someone he knows. Named Elizabeth. Yeah. If he wrote back, is this Elizabeth? Oh, boy. Oh, my God. There would have been hell, too. I would have driven to wherever he was and gone, who's Elizabeth? Wow. Yeah. She's a monster. She's the greatest. She should have done that. She's a monster yet. She's the greatest monster ever. All right. We're going to see what's going on with these clips. Still got the dumb drunk Derek coming out. I always have to look my sexy. That's why I'm wearing these. Height size 42. Be a part of the show. 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. I'm sorry, our time is up. What's up there, unicorn toot? She just said to us off the air, she goes, you guys want to hear a true statement? And I go, yeah. She goes, my neck and back hurts because I was limboing solo in my apartment. Yes. She was limboing by herself. Did you have a pull? No, it wasn't like I wasn't doing like the...
full-on game. I wasn't trying to like, how low can you go? It was like a dance move. What were you wearing? I was wearing workout clothes. That makes my mouth water. I went to go to Target to get the Pussycat Dolls workout DVD. Two Targets. Two Targets because an M1 told me that they were on sale. Thank you so much. Sold out, by the way. Probably because of you. Probably. Probably because I'm not kidding. Bunch of girls in San Diego getting ready for the big debut. We're going to be at downtown at the House of Blues. We're going to do a live broadcast from the House of Blues. And Lauren's going to do a Pussycat Dolls routine. With a hand-selected dance team that me, you, and Jay will hand-select. There is no less. I'm not kidding. There's no less than.
60 girls. No question. Yeah. I was getting so many messages that it was getting out of control. So I wrote a blog about it yesterday. So people just sit tight and know that it's going to happen. We'll announce all the details. We just don't have them worked out yet. Yeah. And there is when I there are girls that were pouring out of the woodwork that want to dance. Yeah. With L.O.B. I couldn't keep up with the requests from girls to join and the requests from choreographers that wanted to teach us. It's going to be amazing. It's going to be amazing. We just sit down, go through it, and then we'll make an announcement about where it's going to be and all that stuff. Yeah, we've got details we've got to hammer out. You rocked my life. Well, we know for sure it's going to be at the House of Blues. Yeah, but we've got to figure out where the auditions are going to be, when they're going to be, who's going to choreograph besides you and I, Mike. But I was going to try to get a jump start on getting ready for it. everything by doing this workout dvd and they sold out but i had i already had it in my head that i wanted to dance so you went home and uh you you put on some workout clothes yeah and then you went out into your living room yeah move the furniture out of the way moved the furniture out of the way and then tunes and then tunes obviously what what well i used the
Honest. I did. Well, I put in Usher on Pandora. And I had Usher. I had Rihanna. Friday night. Yeah. It's a jam. Yep. And I was limboing as a dance move. I was like going like this, trying to, you know, stay moving. And you injured yourself. I hurt my neck and my back. How did you do that? Because I don't know. You were bouncing too hard? Yeah. You got a whole, kid. You got a stretch first. Yeah, my back, I definitely went too low than I've, you know, been used to. My other limbos have been higher. I go, I go, I go, I'm learning so much about L.O.C. Unbelievable. I go, first of all, this was all off the air. I go, first of all, she's a sexual pervert. And Woods, before I even was done saying it, Woods goes, no question. Deviant. Deviant. I go fetishish. No. German. No. It turns out. Norwegian. Norwegian. As it turns out, there's plenty of ladies out there that have the same thoughts that I do. She flies to Norway. Yeah. She flies to Norway. They won't let her in Norway. Right. She's not allowed in. She's on a banned list from Norway. Germany and Japan. Which you know. You know. You're creepy. You've seen it. I know. I know. Needless to say, I'm sore today.
Because you are limboing by yourself. By myself. Shocking. It's part of my dance move. I thought it was a really good dance move. Can't wait to see this pussycat doll dance. That's why. No, it wasn't like that. I wasn't jiggling. What's just that? The shoulder shimmy laying down on his back. Shoulder shimmy. Plus, I was like Carmen Miranda. Oh, I love it. I got down really low. And then I also I kept whipping my head back up as like I was trying to be like a pussycat doll. And I think I maybe did too many whips. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. She's something else. It was good workout, though. You talk about a reality show. I laughed out loud reading her say. Yesterday I watched the movie Contagion and I think it ruined my life. No question. L.O.B. is one of the most worrisome and worked up. Anxiety attack kind of thing. And the movie Contagion is about this really, really virulent virus that gets out into the public and it's just going global and just, I mean, killing people.
And it's very realistic. And it's, I actually, when I saw it, I actually thought, hope LLB doesn't see this because it would scare the crap out of her. The cinematography wise, they made a point to like zero in on every single place that a person touched. Yes. And kind of like linger on it. And I thought about all the germs out there. Yeah. You need a SARS mask after watching that movie. I really actually thought about wearing one. You considered wearing a mask? Yeah. And gloves. I did too. For going on the plane or going, you know, out of the country. Wow. She's something else. She is. Gary. Ever shot yourself with a nail gun? I know a guy that did. First, we have a couple of people that have shot themselves with a nail gun. Wow. M1IB there from IB. Are you there?
Yeah, I'm here, Mikey. What's up, man? Not too much, dude. You shot yourself with a nail gun. Yeah, yeah. I have. I've been a carpenter for like 10 years, so it kind of comes with the trade, I guess, somewhat. If you shoot yourself with one with a safety on it, however, then it's kind of an idiotic thing to do. But when you do production carpentry, the quickest way to get nails in is to pull the safeties off your guns. Right. Not the safest way, but it gets the job done. So sometimes you get a little ahead of yourself. I've done it with a finished nailerware. I got myself an additional fingernail because I had a 16-gauge finish nail go through my finger. And the fun part is figuring out how you're going to pull it out. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. What finger? Oh, boy. Index, pointer, finger, main one. Left hand? Yeah. No, actually, it was right hand because I'm left-handed. Oh, my God. And, okay, so you're left-handed. You accidentally nail-gunned your right index. Yeah, I was doing door trim. I used to do production, like I built a bunch of the houses in Marietta. It used to be fields and everything up there. Manifee Temecula was part of the whole KB Home Cracker Jack boxes going up there. And so, at what point of your finger did the nail go through? It went around the bone, but it went right next to where my cuticle is, like right where the fingernail, right on the side of it. It hurts the most.
Okay, so that was my question. My question is, when it happens, you know how sometimes when you injure yourself really bad, you can't feel it? Yeah, it's a razor cut, like a razor blade. You don't feel a razor blade cut until you look at the blood. So when you did it, did you not feel it for a minute? No, just for a second, but it was, you know, the shock, and then you start feeling the warm swelling of the finger. And the heartbeat. Either pull it out and wrap it up and get back to work or stare at it and let it hurt a lot worse. How did you... Ended up wrapping it up, but I got a better one for you. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Before you tell me. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I still got to know about this one. How did you get out of it? Just yanked it out and wrapped it up. That's okay, man. My goodness. You're lucky. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I will never have to worry about. And there was a guy using a framing nailer and he was putting up joists. He was putting up like a load bearing beam in the middle of the building a house. He sent one straight through the middle of his hand into the beam.
and stood there screaming until an ambulance could get there because nobody's going to try to grab some pliers and pull a sitting nail out of this dude's hand. So he stood there and screamed for about a good hour. Did he ask anybody to do it? Did he ask anybody to do it? Well, everybody was kind of just in shock. And then the superintendents came and the people that were working in the house were kind of cleared out, you know, and whatnot. And the job got quiet for about an hour. It's better to just cut the head off the nail and pull it through. Hey, how long did it take for it to heal on you? On me? Well, I still feel it, man. If I bang it a little bit, you know, it feels like a little sore spot. How long ago did you do it? Five years. Wow. Filthy, filthy, filthy. Hey, dude, thanks for the call. That was great. I know a guy, not the Dom that you know, not my neighbor Dom, but I know another guy named Dom that was a roofer and used a nail gun. Got himself in the knee. It was one of the most fascinating x-rays I've ever seen. He saved the x-ray. And you can see this giant 16-penny nail in his knee. It was unbelievable. In the patella? I don't know what a patella from a... It's the kneecap. That's a mushroom, right? You can make like a whole... Portobello. Yeah. You can make like a whole sandwich. Patella sandwich.
Yeah, like a patello sandwich. No, it's a kneecap. Was it in the kneecap, in the bone? Yeah. But it went in between. Oh, for God's sakes. You're fine. You're fine. Let's see. M1 Denise, are you there? Yes, I am. Denise from Oceanside. How are you guys doing? Good. I just posted six photos of my husband shooting himself in the hand a couple years ago on your Facebook page. It's all the page. Go to Facebook.com slash Mikey Show. Again, Facebook.com slash Mikey Show. M-I-K-E-Y. And like our page. Oh. Oh. It's titled Mike's Accident. That's my husband's name, Mike. Oh. My, he looks so calm. How did he do it? How did he do it? How did he do it? We were helping, he was helping his dad build a wood shed and he was holding a two by four with his left hand and holding the gun with his right hand. And when he shot the nail, the wood splintered and went right through his two fingers. You can, she's got, she's got the most.
Graphic photographs. Oh, it makes my body. Horrendous. On mikeyshow.com, excuse me, facebook.com slash mikeyshow. Yeah. My goodness. And the x-ray ones are there, too. What's that? It shows the x-ray one. I have the x-ray photos of the x-ray, too. You can see it totally missed the bone, but it pushed the top of the top bone. How's your grundle woods? It hurts. It hurts so bad. It's sharp. The first finger that it went through, he actually cut the scan and got the nail out. That's a man. That's a man's job. It's a man's job. It's a man's work. Come on in. Oh, my gosh. Thank you for the call. Hillary, you got a story? I do. My husband was in our old house. Was we were remodeling our master bathroom and he does most of it himself. So he was almost done for the afternoon. Yeah. Took off his safety goggles. Yeah. And then realized that there was one more piece of wood trim that he needed to remove. Yeah. So he grabbed it and yanked it off the wall. You know, it was nailed in. Yanked it off and a...
shard of wood, a wood splinter shot into his eyeball. Oh my gosh. He had to get stitches in his eyeball. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Oh, wait, wait. What part of the eye? The white? Yeah, the white. The white. No, no, no. Not the cornea or anything. Thank goodness. The white. That's even worse. The white, though. But stitches. You could see that they were like the invisible, you know, the see-through thread or whatever. Well, here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's what I got to ask you because when they give stitches, I know that before they stitch you up, what they generally do is give you a little bit of an anesthetic so that it doesn't hurt as bad when you put the... So did they have to give him any sort of an anesthetic? Yeah, a little bit. We were just talking about this. That's why I came running in here, because he was just telling the story again. A little shot to the eyeball. Oh, my gosh. And then stitches in the eyeball. Now, imagine the doctor saying, you're going to feel a little stick here. A little pressure. You're going to feel a little pressure.
Did it make a popping sound? Now, hey, don't close your eye. Don't close your eye. Don't play. I'm going to stick a needle in it, so don't close your eye. Keep it open for me. They must have had to stick one of those clockwork orange deals on him. I bet. And that's the other thing that's so bad about it. You have to see it. You're looking at it. You have no choice. You have no choice but to see it coming at you. That'll do. Were you there? No, no. I was out with my daughter and his friend called and said, everything's fine, but your husband's bleeding from his eye and we're taking him to the hospital. It's never good when a phone conversation begins with the words. Right. Everything's fine. But. But. Comma. Oh, my gosh. Scale of 1 to 10, has he given you any indication of the pain level? You know, he said it wasn't, like, horrible. I wonder what was worse. He's a bruiser, though, man. He has gotten so many injuries over the years. Remember when the surfboard hit him in the face? He had to wire his jaw. Oh, yeah. Broke his jaw. He's a hard ass.
I wonder if the wood or the needle was the worst. It's got to be the needle. I'll ask him. The needle. The needle. I don't know. I almost want to interview him. I think wood would be worse. That's one of the worst injuries I've ever heard of. Isn't that gnarly? So, hi, guys. Hi. Oh, my gosh. That got my heart going. Thank God he's okay. That got my heart going. All right. The lovely and talented Hillary is up next. And that is a story for the ages. We will come back here tomorrow morning at 5.30 and do it all over again. The Mikey Show's out. Lincoln Financial Media Station. It's 94 at 9. Starting the worst day with a big block of tunes. We thought you'd like that. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
