Mikey, the host of the program. And we come on at 5.30 a.m. now. And I like it. We've been hearing from a lot of people that just dig it. Went to pick up sticks the other day. There was a guy in there and said, are you Mikey? I said, yeah. And he said, dude, I just want to say thank you for coming on at 5.30 a.m. That's huge. And I was like, right on. Yeah. He said, yeah. He goes, I've got to be at work at 6. And so I'm driving. It's kind of cool to be able to hear you at that time. So we are. We're stoked about it. 570-1949 is the number if you want to call. We would love to talk to you. And you can call about anything that you'd like. We do that again at 6 a.m. You know, when it's earlier, somebody said this to me about our coming on at 530 as well. Somebody goes, I think it was M1 Herald said, I like how you guys are just sort of like chill.
And we are. At 5.30, we just have sort of a more chill kind of thing going on. We're chillaxing. Yeah, we're chillaxing. And it's kind of a warm-up. Yeah. We're taking grounders before the big game at 6. Yeah, it's the equivalent of that or stretching. Yeah, we're stretching. It's like we're stretching. You're running fly patterns, and I'm just throwing bombs to you. That's right. And LLB is just throwing blocks into Jay. Mm-hmm. Just getting ready. There you go. Jay is hitting LLB's shoulder pads. Yep. Getting her pumped up. Slapping her helmet. She's doing the hardball. That's right. So this made news yesterday. Kevin Federline, the dude that used to be married to Britney Spears, he's on a reality show in Australia for losing weight because the guy weighed 232 pounds at the beginning of the show, which is probably what I weigh now except for the fact that he's probably 6'5 and I'm 5'6.
But anyway, yeah, they rushed him to the hospital for chest pains. He was filming the show. It's called Excess Baggage. Catchy. Yep. And according to a spokesperson for the show, 33 years old, by the way. Wow. According to a spokesperson for the show, they had to give him oxygen with the on-site paramedic team, which Woods is very familiar with on a reality show. Woods and Jay were both on the TV show Wipeout. Yes. And when on Wipeout, Woods broke his ankle. Cracked my head. Yep. Vomited. Paramedics had to pull him out of the water. More vomit than they'd ever seen. Oh, gosh. Did they say that? Yes. I mean, I yacked hard. A few times. Violent? Violent. And any time I throw up, it's violent. But this was very violent. What did you eat? Nothing. I hadn't eaten anything. Which is the worst. Which is the worst. Because I was nervous. Yeah. Well, so was Kevin Federline. Chest pains. Probably yakking himself. They had to give him oxygen. And then took him by ambulance to the hospital. And so here's what they said. They said he did his challenge. He was running and catching a ball.
And then while in his challenge, when he's trying to do something here with his partner, he starts to get a racing heart, chest pains, blah, blah, blah. His partner's fine and is like, something's going on. They call the paramedics, and they said that it was minor cardiac arrest, and they had to take him to the hospital for it. Man, my heart beat beating like crazy, man. You all right, Kev? I'm getting to beat out my chest, man. You feeling okay now? I need some oxygen, man. How do you do? Oh, man, my heart. You're still jacked up. You're still jacked up. It happened. Oh, man, you need to call the doc, man. You're a white guy, Kevin. Kevin, Kevin, even now in the state of distress, you're still able to keep... Oh, my heart. Your heart. My heart. Your heart. My heart, man, my heart hurt. Kevin. Popo's out. Popo's out. Did you just say popo's out? Popo's out. Maybe loosen up your cornrows. Oh, my heart. You're saying that your heart hurts so bad that you're saying popo's out. Yo, what's up? Shut up, man. Listen to this jam, man. You feeling better? I feel much better, man. When I used to work at the W as a go-go dancer girl, you know, standing on top of the pillars, you know. They paved you. Yeah, 11 p.m., you know.
What I would do is I would wear, because I have junk in the trunk, I would wear those, like, leather black shorts. They have the laces up the front. Yeah. They tie them real tight. Yeah. I like those. I would wear that black, you know, thigh-high boots. Wow. And I would... They had a really, like, chunky, tall heel on them, I remember. Yeah, yeah, they did. Very chunky. Chunky lucky. Very chunky. As chunky, really, as... As it gets. So there you go. Guess what? Right now on television, they're making the announcement for the Oscars. And right now they're talking about the nominations. It's the nominations for the Oscars. They do it real early in the morning. And when none of these people are awake. Yeah. I know. I don't know why they do it so early. Why wouldn't they do this, you know, at a time when people... Noon. Yeah. East Coast, maybe? Yeah.
Yeah, for East Coasters. We get forgotten, man. I'm telling you, we get forgotten. We're behind. Yeah, but you know what the weird thing is? Modern Family is on at freaking nine here, which I hate. I hate that. I hate that. I hate that. And it's on at seven. No, it's on at nine there as well. Oh, it is? Yeah. Why isn't it on at seven here then? If it's on at nine there, that's what I would like. Because the network wants it on at that time. The network can feast. Yeah. I need to watch it so I can go to bed. Yeah. for best performance by an actress in a supporting role are... Best supporting actress? Berenice Bijou. Who's that? Oh, Berenice Bijou. She did get the number. Melissa McCarthy in Bridesmaid. Oh, good. McCarthy did get the number. Janet McKeer in Albert Knobs. Oh, Albert Knobs. And Octavia Spencer in The Help. Good. Jennifer? Thank you. Yeah, Jennifer's like, I don't know who they are either. I never heard of them. We know who they are. Do... Yeah, I've seen those movies. You did not. Oh, wait a minute. Yeah, you did. Did that help? Yeah. Well, I forget that Jay is married to a woman who's part of the Screen Actors Guild, and he gets to see, you know, before everybody, he gets to see some, you know, movies. Listen to this. Here we go. Best Supporting Actor nominations are being announced. Nominees are Kenneth Branagh and My Week with Marilyn. I know him. Jonah Hill and Moneyball. Right on.
Nick Nolte in Warrior. Good movie. Christopher Plummer in Beginners. And Max von Sydow in Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. A lot of Sydow fans. He'll win because he's the oldest. In a leading role, the nominees are... Actress. Glenn Close in Albert Knob. Weird. Viola Davis, The Help. Rooney Mara in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Wow. Meryl Streep in The Iron Lady. Weird. And Michelle Williams. In my week with Marilyn. You know, that's the deal. If you play somebody that was a real person, you're getting nominated. Marilyn Monroe, Michelle Williams, Meryl Streep, Margaret Thatcher. If you play somebody that you're getting a nod. That dragon tattoo girl. got nominated for Best Actress. That's pretty gnarly, man. That's a big deal. Have you seen it, Jay? No, I haven't seen it yet. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? Isn't there two of them? There's two of them. American version and the original version. You've seen the original. Yeah. Now, from what I've heard, because I've talked to people that have seen both, from what I've heard, the original's more graphic. So you might like the...
No, no, Woods. You might like the American version. I like the American. I don't like graphic. You don't like some graphic violence. No. And, uh, yeah. It's kind of a P word. Uh, so anyway. For best performance by an actor in a leading role are Damien Beshear in A Better Life. I knew it. George Clooney in The Descendants. Jean Desjardins in The Artist. Did they really think that Desjardins... He earned it. Wasn't going to get it? Desjardins. I think he's got family members that are like... Gary Oldman in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. And Brad Pitt in Moneyball. Wow, dude! Nominated for Best Actor. Now, this is all breaking news. We didn't know this. They're telling us right now.
I think Brad Pitt would get a nomination for Best Actor. That's pretty awesome. He's playing somebody. He's playing somebody real. He's playing somebody real. Look at you. And directing. Michel Azan Avichizos for The Artist. Michel's a guy. Yes. They're showing him. This is a French name. It's Michel. And the pain for The Descendants. Martin Scorsese for Hugo. Weird. Woody Allen for Midnight in Paris. I thought that it was pronounced... Marty Nesgorsis. I thought that's how you said it. I thought that's how you said his name. And Terrence Malick for The Tree of Life. Come on, picture. Give me picture. I don't care. I don't care about screenplays. I want to know who's nominated for Best Picture. And it's coming right now. Here we go. Askar Fardai for Separation. All right, that's screenplay. Here we go. For Adapted Screenplay, we have... Alexander Payne. Maybe not. Maybe they get. Yeah. There's so many awards that they should just do, you know. When it comes time for the Oscars, they should do Best Supporting, then Actor and Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture. Yeah. I'd be fine with that. I would totally be in on that. Be fine with that. I like Song, too. I like Best Song in a Movie. I can do without. Really? Well, I'd rather read about it the next day than see it. I think that you can have...
A one hour. No, forget it. A half hour. A half hour. That's just one guy's opinion. I'd be fine with a half hour Oscars jam-packed with awesomeness. That's pretty rad. Man, it'd be quick. An hour. Give it an hour. Okay, now. One hour. All right, an hour. Top. Instead of three. Oh. Four. Three hours of beating it. And that's pretty much what it is now, right? Yep. That's a... Kick all the thank yous to the curb. Just come up and say, hey, this was a tough thing. Tell me about it yourself, but don't thank everybody you know. Everybody on the freaking set. I could care less. Give me the answer either Grammy or Oscar. Which would you rather win, Jay? Oscar. Woods? Oscar. L-O-B? Oscar. Me too. I'd rather win an Oscar than a Grammy. Me too. You know, if I had the ability. Man, there seems like something pretty awesome to holding that freaking statue in here. Here comes the best picture. War Horse, Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy, producers. Best picture. The Artist, Thomas Langman, producer. Moneyball, Michael DeLuca, Rachel Horowitz, and Brad Pitt, producers. The Descendants, Jim Burke, Alexander Payne, and Jim Taylor, producers. The Tree of Life.
Nominees to be determined. Midnight in Paris, Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum, producers. The Help, Brunson Green and Chris Columbus and Michael Barnathan, producers. Hugo, Graham King and Martin Scorsese, producers. And extremely loud and incredibly close, Scott Rudin, producer. Please join us on February 26th. when we celebrate the magic of the movies. Thank you. Thank you, Jonathan. I've seen one of those. Moneyball. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, that's all I've seen. The help is good. It is. And so is The Descendants. The Descendants is great. What's The Descendants about? About two hours. Besides that, though. It's a man who, it's really a sad, sad. Sad. But a guy loses his wife. Oh, boy. She's in a coma. Come on. And while she's in a coma, he finds out that she was... Oh, Jay! Jay! There's a whole lot of story in there. Don't tell me. He just started to give something away. But it's kind of on a family that's on the verge of kind of falling apart. Okay. Gritty drama. I'm in. The Artist is a black and white movie, isn't it? Yeah. And it's supposed to, it's like, hello, my baby times. Like, hello. Don't you love me anymore? Yes. We haven't watched it yet. I've been having trouble putting it in there. I'm going to put it in. Oh, wow. I'll watch it. I'd love to see it with you, Jay. Come on. Hear ye, hear ye. Why don't you...
Put it on in the parlor. And then later today, all of your pals here will come up, except for Lauren, of course, who'll have to sit in the back. Fix me an old-fashioned. She's a woman. Oh, no problem. Fix me an old-fashioned. And we'll watch... Make us some sandwiches. We'll watch the talkie. The artist. I will never see it, I promise you. It's way too highbrow for me. Way too highbrow. Tree of Life, same thing. I'll let you know. Oh, yeah. Way too highbrow. Have you seen Hugo? I have not seen Hugo yet. I wonder what that is. It's like a cartoon, isn't it? Animated Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Yeah. Woods, how you doing with your Facebook thing? Woods yesterday has taken up a challenge that he will not go on Facebook for one week's time. Sucked. And LOB changed his password and only LOB knows the password, so Woods can't. Mm-hmm. Cannot log in. Cannot log in. Can't do anything. And yesterday, after the show ended, I, out of habit, how many times? At least eight. Yeah. Logged in. Like, tried to get on. Really? Just out of habit. Like, I would go to the bathroom, I'd come back and sit down, and I'd go. Yeah. And I'd go, LLB. Goldfinger. I just did it again. I just did it again. It truly illustrated the addiction. Yes. He sat here under 20 minutes time. Eight times.
At least eight times, yeah. Do you miss it? Yeah. You do. Okay. Let's, you know, why? What is it that you miss the most? The interaction. The camaraderie. My quips. I had some good quips yesterday and I wasn't able to put them out there. Woods likes quips. When things happen. I'm quippled. Yeah, he's quippled right now. I love to comment on the news and sports and all kinds of stuff. He blew up my Twitter feed yesterday. I almost thought about unfollowing him. Yes. Because he was just so. My whole feed was just filled with Mikey Show Woods. Anyways. Right. To somebody. And then I'm like, what did I say? Now I'm going to go see what they say. How do I respond without everybody seeing it? I guess I can't. I don't respond to everybody because the response shouldn't be warranted for everybody. And hopefully, Woods, you said on Twitter, you're off of Facebook. Oh, yeah. And people know. And I got a lot of followers on Twitter yesterday. And I was conversing with them. But it just lacked. People need their Woods. It missed something. Mikey Show Woods. Something was missing. If you want to follow him on Twitter, it's Mikey Show Woods.
Lauren is Mikey Show Lauren. I'm Mikey Show Mikey. And Jay is Mikey Show Jay. You should make one, Nicole. You should do one for yourself. Make Mikey Show Nicole. You probably have your own. I have a Twitter, but I don't really use it that much. You can have multiple accounts. You can have multiple ones. Okay, I'll make one. What a headache. You can have multiple accounts? Yeah. Oh, goodness. Different email addresses? No, I don't think you have to. Wow. Because I know that I had two. I had one that was, and I was like, it was when Twitter first came out. And I was like, this is, I don't need this. It wasn't the same. It's not the same, but it was cool. I got some, you know, some nice people. People seem to be a little nicer on Twitter. They only have 140 characters. That's it. Yeah. So they were nicer. It's hard to be mean with 140 characters. I tweeted. Properly mean. Yeah. I tweeted a couple celebrities. Yeah, you love the words big on the celebrity tweet. Tweeted Antonio Cromartie, who used to play for the Chargers. He said that he and his brother had watched the football game at Big Wang's. Yeah. Which I guess was a bar, but I tweeted him and asked him, is that an all-nude male review? And I didn't hear back from him. Wonder why. Which was weird. Tweeted Jose Canseco. Yes. Real good. Nice. You know, just do my bit. Just hang. Oh, my God. Gosh darn.
Every hour. Oh, yeah. Did it make you uncomfortable when I said to you this morning, hey, Woods, I changed my profile pic. Yes, it did. Because I go, to what? To what? I want to know. Like, well, what is it? Well, I want to know what people are saying. Can I make fun of it? Is it something cool? You know, like Facebook, man. I feel like my hands are tied behind my back. I really do. Yeah. And I got home. Yeah, I got home and I was like. What to do? I watched Lethal Weapon 2 twice. Oh, what? True story. No. Yeah, it's a true story. It's a true statement. It ended, you started it again? Steven Woods. Yeah, I caught it with, like, I was 30 minutes in, so I watched the rest of that, then I watched the whole thing over again. What is wrong with you? Man. Why? What's the matter with that? Oh, nothing. I mean, there is nothing to matter with it, but to me, if I did it, I'd be bored. I love that movie, dude. I love Lethal Weapon 2. This would be my thought process. I just saw it. Patsy Kenseth? You don't think to yourself, I just saw it? No, because I get to see Patsy Kenseth's boobs again, which is awesome. Hey, listen. If there's somebody out there right now in the known universe besides Patsy Kenseth who knows who Patsy Kenseth is, God bless you. She's married to Liam Gallagher from Oasis. She's an actor. I know that name. Well, she's only in Lethal Web 2. It was one of the biggest movies of its time. Yeah, she's only Mike Patsy Kenseth.
Maybe you go to PatsyKensit.net and figure it out. Is that a Z or an S? It's an S. K-E-N-S-I-T. Patsy Kensit. Woods knows. She's so foxy. Woods knows so many actors and actresses. Well, if there's boobs attached. Yeah, then I'm in. Definitely a good chance. We should develop a game. Okay. Because you do know actors and actresses. I have a weird memory for songs and movies and TV shows and stuff like that. It's weird. Because I'm into it. If I'm into it, then I give it some attention. A Carlsbad cop is in trouble because he was stealing narcotics from the in-pound room. I would do that. L.O.V. What's it doing there? It's just sitting there. Wouldn't you be scared that you're going to get caught like this guy? Michael Koch? Yeah, just take a little taste. I wouldn't get too greedy. So you would take your pinky? Yeah. Just make sure it's real. Yeah, what do they do with all that stuff? Yeah, you just let them out of tickets, so it'd be easier. Like, hey, I'm going to confiscate this, and this one time only, you're getting away free. That's what I would do, yeah. I would be very nervous about myself that if I went on like a big bust, a big bust, and there was just like...
stacks of dough, then I wouldn't be like, I know myself. There was a movie with Ethan Hawke, I forget what it was called, but got himself into real trouble. By doing that? Doing that kind of stuff. He turned real crooked. Took a little taste. M1 San Diego from San Diego wants to thank Woods. Go ahead, San Diego. Yesterday, this is the guy that called and said, do you have a cure for a hangover? Something greasy. And Woods and Jay said, yeah, eat something greasy. Eat some Mexican food. And it worked. Yeah, you know, thank you very much. I survived lots of water, lots of pain. Yep. There you go. That's why drinking on a Sunday is never a good idea. Learned your lesson, though, didn't you? No. No, he didn't. The guy I was with, he called me about 3 o'clock and says, I'm hurting. And I said, I feel your pain, my friend. He goes, what happened? What kind of beer were you guys drinking? Well, very dark 10.5% stuff. Oh, no way. Yeah, it was crazy. Dude. So were you drinking beer out of a jug? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. We did these little taster trays, you know? Oh, man. That'll get you. It gets away from you sometimes. You know, it gets away from you. You're like, uh-oh. It starts as just a taste, and then you're all the way in. Yeah.
Yeah, but then we went somewhere else, and then it was the margaritas, and I guess we did a kamikaze or something. Oh, gosh. My head hurts just hearing it. You're hearing it. It makes my stomach queasy. Well, I'll tell you what, man. I'm going to take a little rest here. Well, you better get ready. You got the Pro Bowl this weekend, so. I don't think so. All right, buddy. We love you, San Diego. Thanks. You guys have a good day. Thanks. You too. Man, we got a heck of a show for you today. I feel so bad for Kyle Williams, San Francisco 49er Kyle Williams. I'm the host of the show. I am 41 years of age, and I'm wearing the type of shirt that, as a guy, you would really like. It's one of those deals that's a thermal, but it's stitched into the T-shirt. Ooh. I like that. So it looks like I'm wearing a thermal with a t-shirt over it. It's actually stitched that way. Wow. It's the best. I wish I had 50 of these. I've never had one of those. It's great. It's so warm and it works. Woods is our fiending for Facebook sports guy. Yes. He's wearing a Suicidal Tendencies t-shirt today. Not really. Social distortion. I always mix those bands up. I don't know why. I'm like, eh? I always say, I will always do that. Social D. Woods is wearing a Slayer shirt. L.O.B. is Lauren O'Brien. She is the blonde girl to my right, and she's a stand-up comic. Diver. That was, uh... Yeah. That was not... I didn't play that. Greg Louganis in the studio today. I am not playing that sound effect. I got a boner. That is Jay that just played that. Greg is a pervert.
Greg loves dude. Jay is 48 years of age. He is our producer. One interesting fact about Jay, he can at times be a bit hardened. You know? No. I mean that he can sometimes be a little insensitive. Yes. No compassion. He may have a giant black lump of coal for a heart. As a heart. Believe. I don't know what you're talking about. And the blood that runs through his veins is actually motor oil. I'm just very honest. Let's just put it this way. Very honest. Let's just put it this way. If you're Jay's kid and you have chores to do, you're not getting out of it. Oh, no. You want to stay home sick? Nope. You better be in that bed, chained to that bed. Yes. No TV. He doesn't allow TV. If you stay home from school, you don't get to watch TV. And if you stay home from school, he needs to see a temperature. Yes. If one doesn't exist, sorry, pal. Going to school. School it is. He is a tough dad. You wouldn't think it if you saw him because the guy looks like a professional skater. Right. But that's the way he rolls. And Nicole is our phone screener. She's 19 years of age. And if you would like to talk to Nicole before you talk to us, call 570-1949, open forum, anything you want.
Yeah, talk to her. Word of the day is textbook. Okay. Textbook. It's textbook. So when I say the word textbook between now and nine, caller number nine, I'm going to give you dinner for two at Pamplemousse. Tonight. Now, this is what you need to know. It's restaurant week. Pamplemousse is my favorite restaurant by far. So good. You know, my next favorite restaurant is like way below my first because it's that good. Now, if you're caller nine, when I mix the word textbook into a sentence, you'll be going to Pample Moose tonight. Just remember the reservation is at six and you're responsible for booze and gratuity. And when I say gratuity, don't mess with your waiter or waitress. Please be nice because Pample Moose is nice enough to do this for us. Let's see. So, Woodsy, tell everybody about what's going on. First, tell us, who is Kyle Williams? Kyle Williams plays for the San Francisco 49ers. He's a wide receiver, and it's his second year in the league. His dad is actually the general manager of the Chicago White Sox. I don't know if you knew that, Kenny Williams. Didn't know that.
He had a rough night in the NFC Championship game. He let a punt graze off his knee, which the Giants then recovered, scored a touchdown. Then in overtime, he fumbled a punt that the Giants recovered, kicked the game-winning field goal. Had a very, very rough night for a second-year player, for any player. The guy could have been in the league 20 years. It would have been a terrible night. This guy is absolutely atrocious. Well, well. He had a rough night. He's a good player. He's got a lot of upside, but he had a really tough night. And some San Francisco 49er fans let this kid. And I say kid. He's a kid. They let him have it on Twitter. And it was not. Gosh darn. It was not good. You ready for this? At Kyle Williams 10. You should jump off the Golden Gate Bridge for that one. Come on, man. Next one. Hope you run into a bullet. No way you ran into that ball. Brilliant. Oh, wow. And then. I hope you, your wife, and... Sorry, I'm going to start that one over. I hope you, your wife, kids, and family die. Oh, my gosh. You deserve it. So the last one came from a guy named Jav Pasquale, and it went viral. It was everywhere yesterday. I went, I looked for this guy that had already been shut down. And the tables turned on this guy, Pasquale. Guess what he said? What? It wasn't me. My account got hacked. I would never say that. Who would hack you? I would never say that.
And that's the one that said the die thing? Yeah. He's the one that said, I hope your family and wife and kids die. So other Twitter users started firing back at this guy. I mean, honestly, listen, you may think that people may think that this is extreme. But I think that all of those that you read, I believe that this is a true statement. Every one of those people has mental illness. Absolutely. I believe that. If you tweet that, you have mental illness. There's something wrong with you, man. If you're normal, you don't do that. You're not being funny. You're being weird. Weird. Yeah, that's not funny. I mean, another guy, this one, I was like, oh, boy. He said, hey, Coach Harbaugh, you should give Kyle Williams the game ball and then hope it explodes when he gets in his car. I was like, gosh, darn, dude. These people are vicious. They're vicious. It's so weird. Yeah, it's very strange. Why does football mean that much to you? I know. I mean, I know. Listen, you're talking to a guy that absolutely... Because you have mental illness. Yeah, that's why. I mean, I am passionate about the teams I love. Very passionate. Would probably go to blows with another passionate fan. There's no question. But to hit a player up in that way, a lot of times they do deserve criticism. They get paid handsomely to get criticism. But they don't deserve...
That threat. And listen, and I believe, and people say, well, what's the rules then, Mikey? What are your particular rules? I guess I'm okay with criticism, but, you know, can't you be, can't you do it in a way that isn't hateful? Right. 570-1949, this is M1 Camille from Oceanside. Are you there, Camille? Yeah, how are you guys doing? Good, go ahead. I just want to say, I've, uh... I'm down here for work. I'm from the Bay. I've been a 49er fan since Lord knows I can walk. As far as all the death threats and everything go, that makes me sad only because all the 49er fans that I know had nothing but outpouring of support. We came back from so many losing seasons and just so much negativity. To go as far as we did, our defense was awesome.
Like, everybody's trying to focus on the bad, and I'm just personally glad that all the 49er faithful that I know had nothing but good things to say. Camille, can I, and I want to ask you this, because maybe I'm too harsh. Do you believe that if somebody tweets something like the ones that you heard, that they suffer from mental illness? Or is that, do you think I'm going too far in saying that? Well, I actually went to college church. In psychology, I have my BA in it, so I won't go that far. I will say that they probably do have some sort of built-up anger issues that they just release in sports because they think that, oh, I'm one person tweeting something. It doesn't matter. It won't get to anybody, just my friends. Yeah, can you imagine the kind of anger that must be bottled up inside that weirdo? It's crazy. Oh, my goodness. It's crazy. Well, I didn't know.
It's one of those things I just didn't ever think about. I didn't know that. You assume every fan is, you know, of a team that's really passionate about the team are a little nuts. But, dude, the Niner fans, I'm reading articles and I had no idea. Okay, now, Woodsy, that's why I think that Camille made a great point. You know, this is not 49er fans. This is a bunch of. Dopes. I get it. I get it. And there's a bunch of them. Exactly. Well, but you will give me the fact that there are some fans that are more peaceful than other fans in certain sports, right? Yes. Like a Padres game is different than a Yankee game. Absolutely. But I mean, I grew up a 49er fan in the Bay Area. I mean, I remember going to games. Well, they arrested 29 people Sunday. at the game, and they threw out another 110 for unruly behavior. They had police officers dressed as Giants fans trying to lure 49ers fans into saying something so they could arrest them. It's been out of control at the stick, I guess. I'll give you this. I can't say what I'm saying because I haven't been there for years. Dude, it's a small thing. It is a small thing, but I just realized, well, Mike, you're commenting on stuff that you remember from back in the day. Sure.
Things have changed. And you may have a point here because one thing that I thought was so disrespectful was that as the national anthem was being sung, they were showing the television broadcast on the Jumbotron there at Candlestick Park. And every time they showed a giant player, the crowd would boo during the national anthem. And then they would show a 49er player. on the Jumbotron during the national anthem, and they would all applaud. And I wish that you could just say to all of them, and I don't know who that guy is, because there was a lot of that guy in that audience that day, but you wish you could say to that guy, hey, maybe mama didn't teach you. That you've got to shut up during the national anthem. Right. Respect. Yeah, I bet there were people. That was probably the cause of some of the fights. Yeah. Probably some people. They should have just stopped it and said, okay, hey, we're not going to continue until everyone behaves. Yeah, man. I mean, gosh darn. It doubled the arrests from the previous weekend at Candlestick. But it's gotten crazy there, which I had no idea. M1 Scott from Lakeside. Go ahead.
Yeah, Mike, I just want to say that I think those tweets kind of show a deeper issue with people. I think the way the economy is and stuff, people are getting a lot of hope is missing. It may seem like I'm going overboard, but I think people put more hope in their teams. And I know that stuff's been around for a long time, but I think that's ridiculous. Dude, I agree with you. I think you're right, Scott. And it's a bummer. It's a bummer, man. Hey, thanks for the call. It's a great point. Now, this next story is going to shock you. In fact, it was so shocking that when Woods gave me this story, I said, do me a favor, bro. Just double check it. Double check your sources. He did. He said, it's legit. The Italian cruise ship, right? The one that capsized. They announced that they are going to be giving passengers that were on the ship a refund. But they're also going to offer them a 30% discount on future cruises. That is true. I'm sorry. I thought you said 30%. Yeah. That's correct, Woods. On future cruises? Yes. With them? Yeah. Only them.
Only the passengers that were on board. The survivors. Yes. In other words, if you're a survivor, we're not going to offer you five, not 10, not 25, but 30% off your next cruise with us. Wow. That sounds great. Let's book today, honey. Yeah. Hey, there's no time like the president. Hey, let's roll the dice. Well, we had such a great time. I had a blast. So. I always wanted a breath. Up until that last. The last one was I always wanted a breaststroke to shore off of a cruise ship. We got some exercise. Question, guys. Question. You're in, obviously, a conference room. Someone makes the suggestion. There's more than one person in that room. And, obviously, there were people that went, yeah, that's a great... 25? No, that's not enough. I say... No, this is not, no. 20%. No, not enough. Come on, these people. 50? This is too much. We want to be respectful of the fact that they did not get to see the magic show or go to the casino that night aboard. 45. Oh, for goodness sake, Antonio.
You know, this is a too high a price. Marco, we got to give these people what they want. Let's ask Leslie. Leslie. Yes. How much discount should we give the passengers that survived this traumatic incident? I may be at 30%. This is not my best accent. You whole bag. She had just moved here from Hungary. What is your problem? That's why I was sitting on the sidelines, not joining in. I see this, but... But I still have to hear it. Maybe now I regret. Marco, ask Tony what he has to say. Tony, Tony, how much of a discount should we give to the band? Hey, give him nothing. I was not joining in either. How about you leaving me alone?
Into your meatballs. You were on the sideline, too. Hey, I was just hanging out here. We're thinking, capisce. Hey, hey. Hey, babe. Hey, Mike. Maybe when I'm not joining in, you take a hint. It doesn't mean I'm not very confident. It means I'm not very confident in my Italian accent. I don't want to play your game. Sign al fresco. Oh, my God. So check this out. So they're offering a 30% freaking discount. It is not being met well. In fact, there's a class action lawsuit. Yeah. Could be up to $1.5 million against these clowns. Again, how does somebody make the suggestion? And by the way, why 30? I know. You know, why not 35? Why not 25? Why not 50? Why not free? Free. Yes. Well, obviously. But how did they arrive at that number? Who the hell wants to go on a cruise again anyway? Right. Nobody. No. Never. I couldn't. No. Oh, I guarantee there's plenty of people that are like, well, well. Hey, it is 30% off. 100%. I've been on one cruise, and I did not like it. Never been. I've never been on a cruise. I probably never will. Never will. I've been on a few. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it isn't. To me, it just seems like a giant cesspool. It's a trap.
It's a trap. You're trapped. Yeah. I like it better when we get off for the day. You get off and you're like, hey, this is a blast. Yeah. And then you got to get back on. Then you got to get back on. If you consider the way that people get sick, which is by, you know, touching germs and then, you know, wiping your eyes or something like that. Well, listen, it's not like people have a choice. Everybody's using the same, you know, ladle for the soup. Right. Where's the water coming from and how clean is that water? Oh, God. Oh, boy, you just blew my mind. There's a reason everything's free. It's all-inclusive. It's all-inclusive. There's a reason. Because they were able to buy it in bulk and just feast, everybody. Stock up on it. Just feast. I mean, I went on a booze cruise one time, and that was enough to be like, I'm done. Me too. I'm on a freaking boat. I've been on a couple of those. I will not turn my nose up at those. So, M1 Nation, what do you think about that? 30% discount. Holy Toledo. They got some balls. They do. Tonight's...
Obama's the state of the union, so he'll fill us in on how bad we're doing. He's going to be talking about the economy. He is planning on talking about how he's going to fix the economy. He's going to talk about clean energy, education, and American values. Solid. That's on the docket. He has an uphill battle. By and large, Americans are not pleased with the job that Obama has done. The thing that they have going for them is the GOP. The thing that he has going for them is the GOP. Couldn't be more of a mess. There is not a candidate who stands out as just the greatest. I feel like the biggest platform that any of them have is they're touting themselves to be the ones that can beat Barack Obama. Right.
That's not a good reason to campaign. That's not a good reason to be president because you can beat the other guy. Yeah, there's got to be more depth and you've got to talk to me about issues. But, oh, by the way, Mitt Romney said that he was going to release his tax returns. He has not done it. Well, we have it. Nice. Apparently, Mitt Romney paid 14% income tax in 2010 after making... $3 million in tax-deductible charitable donations. $21.7 million in income. He paid $3 million in federal taxes, slightly more than the $2.98 million that he made in charitable donations. And at least $1.5 million of his charitable donations went to the Mormon Church. 2010 showed that he had... a financial account in Switzerland that was closed in 2010 and that he generated income from overseas investments. Now, this is what... Try to take this into consideration. If a guy is making $21 million a year and he wants to be the president, to me, it just shows that, you know, listen, I have everything. I got all the money in the world.
I just want, I have some ideas here. I mean, that's one way of thinking of it. Maybe you disagree. I'm not even sure I'm bought into that. I think it's because it's during a recession. And if you see someone with that much money, you're like, you're out of touch with us. You don't even understand. Not the average guy, that's for sure. None of them are, though, you guys. None of them are. But a lot of them are better at hiding it. And I think they, you know, all the other... candidates running probably knew just how much this guy made. I think that right now in a time of Occupy where everybody's, you know, it's on the radar, it's a great time for people running against him to say, oh, you're so entitled. Right. But look at this guy's running his life this way. This is the kind of money he's making by whatever he's doing. It's not a bad guy to have in there. He's doing something right. He's doing something right. Now, why? Does that have to do with the tax bracket that he's only getting taxed 14%? It means that he's got a very creative and good tax guy. Hmm. I need that guy. Well, listen, I mean, his whole deal from the very beginning has been, I'm not going to apologize for being successful. Right. Yeah. Nobody should. And nobody should. And that's kind of been one of the undertones of the Occupy movement. People have been asked to apologize for being successful. Yeah. The fact that you make dough.
And I don't is not cool with us. They debated last night on NBC, Mitt Romney on Gingrich. We're talking about Freddie Mac. And that one did a lot of bad for a lot of people. And you were working there, making over a million dollars for your entities, entities controlled and owned by you. Owned by you. I don't know whether 100% owned by you, but I presume owned by you. Hey, guys. Hey, guys. How are you going to run the country? I know you guys are bitching to each other about your money, but I don't care. What are you going to do with the economy? Can you guys talk about that? Can you guys talk about that? Over a million point six. And you said it was three to a thousand. It was a million six. Sounds like two guys arguing in a coffee shop. Guys, talk about the country. Stay on task. Please. That's the difference. What's the gross revenue of Bain in the years you were associated with it? Bain.
Bain, what's it called? Bain Capital. Bain Capital is a company that Mitt Romney used to work for and made millions of dollars while he worked there. Who cares? Who gives a rat's ass? Who gives a rat's ass? That was the bane of his existence. That's right. That's right. Bain in the ass. Happy birthday to Neil Diamond. 71 years old today. Wow. Shove it. Mary Lou Retton. You know, little Mary Louretton. What is she, 14 or something? She's 17 now. She's actually 44 years old today. Wow, wow. He's 71. Ed Helms is 38. Nardog. That's Nardog. That's right. It happened on a TV show called Watch What Happens Live. I have not heard of Watch What Happens Live. Nor have I. But the movie The Help. L.O.B., what is... By the way, we found out this morning that The Help has been nominated for Best Picture. But what is the film about? It's about Mississippi back before... I guess, I actually don't know if it was before the Civil Rights Movement or not, but it's about people who are African American that were maids in rich white people's homes in Mississippi. And kind of the way that they were treated and how backwards it is and how one person kind of reaches out to them. Well, I don't know who this actress Yvette Nicole Brown is, but she wasn't in the movie The Help. Unfortunately, this caller thought that she was. Okay, we have a phone call. Caller, what's your name and from where are you calling? My name is Ashley, and I'm calling from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Hey, Ashley, what's your question? I first want to say thanks for having me on TV. And I have a question for Yvette and Sherry. And my question for Yvette was, I'm so proud of you right away. And what was it like working on the movie The Help? Oh, you know, it was great to watch The Help because I wasn't in it.
That's Octavia Spencer. This is so funny. This happens. Me and Sherry always get confused. Wait, hold on. So do people think you were in the health? Me, Sherry Shepard, Lonnie Love, Octavia Spencer. And you're black, girl. I don't know why you think. We all look alike. I will tell Octavia that you loved her in the health. But they. That is the same moment as when you go, oh, when are you due? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You're not due. You're not due. I saw an interview one time of a, I think it was a graduate student, film graduate student, and she was talking to John Cusack and she thought he was Kevin Spacey. Oh, gosh. She would not let it go. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. About him being in American Beauty. She's like, you're in that. And he's like, nope. She probably thought he was doing a bit. Yeah. She's like, come on. Come on, you're in that. Makes it even more uncomfortable. Know your stuff, man. You get a word to play. All right. Jay, what are we playing for? It's dinner for two at the La Jolla Shores during San Diego Restaurant Week. Why? It's ended two weeks until January 28th. There you go.
Three-course meal. Get some. There you go. It's like a meal, but it's different. You know what it is. I can see. I'm looking at you. Touche. All right. Let's see. M1 Whitney from Encinitas. Who would you like to represent you? I'll take Wood, please. You got it. M1 Daniel from Oceanside. Who do you want? Yeah. I bet you do. It's so strange that I've been taken last. M1 Chris from Mira Mesa. You got me. What's that? I picked you first. I'm going for you. I feel confident. I feel confident. Hang on. Now, Jay's going to give us a word, then he's going to give us a clue, and we have to yell out what the phrase is that that word's in. Okay. Here we go. Today's word is glass. Glass. G-L-A-S-S. I love when he spells it. Helps you read the fine print. I got a 90-packing glass.
That's it. Whatever you say. Wow. All right. A boxer's glass jaw. Yeah. Gosh, darn it. Invisible barrier. Glass ceiling. Weird that I got that. What? Glass ceiling? Yeah. I've never heard that phrase. What? I haven't. I haven't. What does that mean? What does it mean? I mean, she can't get through the glass ceiling. There's a ceiling that holds her down. It's for women. Is it really? It's for, like, anyone you could consider a minority, but mostly women. It means that, like, you can see what's going on up on the floor where the bosses are, but you can't ever get past that. And how would you say it? I've hit the glass ceiling. Yeah. Or, like, I'm being hindered by the glass ceiling. I had an Asian buddy that would say I hit the bamboo ceiling. Oh, my. I would say I've hit the tortilla ceiling. Yes. Absolutely. Now you're getting it. There you go. Now you got it. All right. Let's do this.
Here we go. Spectacles. Eyeglasses. Eyeglasses. I think Woods got eyeglasses first. I said glasses. Oh, did you? She said eyeglasses. Eyeglasses. That's called honesty right there. Nice job, Woodsie. I was hoping that you would come forward. I came clean. The question that determines if you're an optimist. Glass half full. Is the glass half full or not empty? He got it. I'm giving it to him. Gosh, darn. Was it all? Did he get it all? What was the answer? It said if the glass is half full. Okay. All right. All right. I said glass half full. All right. He gets it. I missed the if though. Here we go. These are long answers. Prosthetic optical. Glass eye. Gosh darn it. Dang it. Annie Lennox. Broken glass. Dancing on broken glass. Walking on broken glass. Walking. Who said walking first? Oh, come on. I think it was. Did I get it? Yeah. It's not dancing. No, it's walking. It's walking on broken glass. Oh, come on. Walking on broken glass.
Oh, that song sucks. You need some better judgment, my friend. I was saying I thought it was you, but they both agreed that it was Woods, so. Here we go. Weird. Cathedral windows. Glasses! Stinglass! Stinglass! Woods. Dang it. Woods, by the way, just so you know, Woods doesn't do the pelvic thrust anymore because he punched himself in the balls yesterday. With the hands on the hands. I went, quack! Oh, man. All right, here we go. The word is still glass. Goblets, tumblers, flutes. Glasses. Drinking glasses. Goblets, wine glasses. Just repeat what I said. Fancy glasses. Goblets, tumblers, or flutes. Champagne glasses. Alcohol glasses. Glasses for cocktails. Cocktail glasses. Glassware. Glassware. Here we go. New word. Thank you. If I was getting married and registered, maybe I'd know that. Oh, gosh. That's true. Our new word is horse. H-O-R-S-E. Horse. Oh, boy. This could get bad. No. Woods, it's horse. Horse. You know, like the animal. Horse. Like heroin. Yeah, not like prostitutes. Right. Not horse. Here we go. Horse. Pungent mustard. Horseradish. What a mustard. Or horseradish. Horseradish. Horseradish. Horseradish.
Nonsense. Horseplay. Stop horsing around. Nonsense. Foolishness. Horseplay. Horse S. Horse tuning. Horse tuning. Horse hockey or horse feathers. Oh, I've heard horse feathers. That's horse feathers. What's horse hockey? Never heard of horse hockey. That's horse hockey. Here we go. That's garbage. That's horse hockey. That is horse hockey. Horse. Don't look him in the mouth. Gift horse! Gift horse! Yes, that's it. All right, scores. Mike, one. Lauren, three. Woods, six. So, we need a couple of three-pointers here. Thank you. Oh, God. Harp at a hopeless cause. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Booyah. There you go. What? We already had that one. We just had it. Booyah, there you go. Oh, no, wait. Hold on a second here.
What did you say? Booyah. No, no, no. You're wrong. Harp at a hopeless cause. Horse in their knees. Harp. Harp. Booyah. There you go. Hopeless cause. I looked at the answer down below it. Or above it. Horse hockey. I don't know. Beat a dead horse. Beat a dead horse. Yes. People are screaming in their cars right now. Screaming. I get so threatened. Somebody is slapping their radio right now going, are you guys stupid? Oh, gosh. Okay, here we go. Booyah. There you go. I'm so hungry. I can eat a horse. I can eat a horse. Three pointer. It's game. No, no. We got a couple more here. Here's a six pointer. Oh, you stupid. Thank you. Thank you. In backwards order. Horse. Reverse horse. Horse style. Horse style. Yes, it's horse style. Reverse cowgirls. You creep. You're such a creep. It's worse. It's a bizarre creep. A horse's ass. Oh my gosh. In backwards order. Horse hunky.
What is wrong with you people? Cart before the horse. How is that reverse order? Yes, don't put the cart before the horse. I say that all the time. I did not think of that. Hush! All right. Reverse cowgirl? I don't know. Wow. What a creep. I don't know. Here we go. This is the last one. Oh, gosh. It's really hot in here. The locomotive. Horse train! Horse train! The horse caboose! Get on the horse carriage! Get on your freaking caboose horse! Get on the horse! Horse time! Horse dance! Horses it around! The locomotive. The horse train! The horse head! The horse carriage! The horse stop. This is going to win by default. Yes! What is it? Oh, gosh. Wow. Iron horse. Iron horse. That's what it's called. Oh, my gosh. It's the greatest name ever. It's one of the greatest buzzwords. In the history of all the cowgirls. In the history of mankind. She is a deviant. That woman. I'm sorry, he said something about a reverse horse. You're a deviant fetishist. Cowgirl. Horses are not even in there. Not even in the word. M1 Whitney, you made a wise choice. Yes, you did. Oh, wow. What's going on over there? Yeah, what's going on?
I'm a nanny, and these are all my kids. Oh, there you go. Sorry about the reverse cowgirl. I thought maybe you guys were having a pillow fight. Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. Sorry. Woods won for you. Congratulations. Thank you. Hang on the line. Those were the hardest ones. Those were the hardest ones. I would throw a bunch of cars to find easy ones, too. I could not stop laughing at Booyah. There you go. And we don't know who he's talking to. It could be any one of us. I thought that was a clue. Booyah. There you go. That was great. Booyah. So it's going to be warming up here in San Diego. Yesterday it was all rainy and it just looked garbagey everywhere. But the temperatures are going to start warming up. In fact, downtown tomorrow and Thursday should get into the 70s. And it's going to start today. The winds are picking up too. So expect a windy day today. And they say that it should start getting up to about 65 degrees at Lindbergh.
Feast on that. Don't know if you've heard about it, but it was on the cover of the UT today about this guy that has now joined a list of six women claiming that Officer Anthony Aravalos groped him. That's right. He's joining a list of six women, and he's saying, yes, he groped me, too. Now, here's the deal. He filed a claim on Monday. Is today Tuesday? Today is Tuesday. Yeah, yesterday. Filed a claim yesterday. That's the first step in doing a lawsuit. And according to the claim, this guy was stopped in downtown San Diego on September 3rd, real early in the morning. And he did an interview with 10 News and said that, yeah, this cop was searching me and groped me. Now, his name is not being released.
Because you can't release the names of people that were sexually assaulted. But this is the interesting part. This is the interesting part? The whole thing interests me. It interests me what the cop looks like. Yeah, I want to know. Big time? Yes. It's a game changer for me. Sounds Italian. Yeah, if he's tall, dark, and handsome, L.O.B. I welcome the group. Yeah, welcome the group. Now, the DA's office said that it doesn't anticipate filing any charges relating to this report. Now, that's the part that makes me think it's fishy because the DA's office is going, no, we're not going to do anything like that. What if he's bi-curious? Maybe he patted the guy's chest and they're like, well, there's nothing there. Nothing there. Yeah, nothing there. Maybe he patted his wiener and there was nothing there. It's also possible. Could be cursed. If you're going to hide something, that's where you'd probably hide it. He didn't tell anybody about it because he says he was too embarrassed.
But then went to the authorities after he heard about this guy getting arrested for the other incidents. Yeah, I was really embarrassed, so I just thought I'd do an interview with the news. And so, yeah. Yeah. I filed and everything, but I'm super embarrassed. So, I'm not saying that this is what he did, but is it possible that... Perhaps he's trying to get out of whatever he's in trouble for, and that's the way that he's decided to get out of it. If he was arrested for something, yeah, totally. Now, a jury on November 17th already found this officer guilty of eight felonies, including sexual battery, asking for a bribe, four misdemeanors related to five victims. Did you say five misdemeanors? No. Jay, I actually didn't. But your timing was impeccable. You know, Mike. Yes. Sometimes. Sometimes sexual battery just isn't funny. Sometimes groping a woman is not amusing. Yeah. And when Lauren O'Brien is actually feeling sorry, then I know that maybe Jay's gone that extra step.
Now, if any of the engineers are listening right now, any of the engineers, and you wonder why I wanted a microphone I could control with Jay. You would have never known to turn it off at the time. Oh, it would already have been off. You know, that would be just a proactive move, you know, just because I would know what the subject matter is and I'd go out. You know, just in case, just in case. But, Mike, in. Yeah, go ahead. In Jay's defense. Go ahead, Woods. Go ahead. You could be talking about. Yes. Chapstick. Yes. The story could be on Chapstick. Yes. And you wouldn't think, hey, I got to turn his mic off. Yeah. However, he'd go, oh, I love when they twist the bottom of that. Yeah. And he'd say something weird. Something creepy. Yeah. Yes. Like a dog has Chapstick. Yeah. Don't you want to turn her. You can't turn her mic off. No, because she said it in your voice. In your voice. Oh, okay. It's always okay if it's said in your voice. Perfect. We know that. And then I always say it in my voice, so everything's fine. Mike, what's your favorite flavor, champ? So gross. Mike, what do you like? So gross. Hey. Ew, that's creepy. That is super creepy. Speaking of, speaking of Jay, he found a killer new app over the weekend called Catchword. And it's like Catchphrase, or as Jay wrote in his recap, Catchphase.
Oh, I did. I wrote that a few times then, didn't I? Damn you, spell check. I love you. But it loads on your phone or your iPad. It's got a lot more categories. And he said his favorite part is there's also a mature catch word. Holy mackerel. And that's for, I'm guessing, older guys like you, like mature, meaning senior citizens. No, no, no. Very adult in nature, like phrases that refer to. Okay. Give us a few. No, no, no examples. Okay. No. He gave me a few and they made me blush. Yeah. Some I'd never heard, but it's funny to see some of the people that are on staff in the game scribing. I would have loved to see that. Oh, my gosh. I have a question about Lauren O'Brien's recap. Okay. I've heard this. I've heard it, but I don't actually know what it is. So teach me what an earwig is. It's a bug. Sounds like some kind of a...
hairpiece for your ear, but it's not. It's a type of bug that actually crawls in your ear. They like to live in there. No way. Yep. Oh, God. Yep. Do they look like miniature centipedes and they're black? No. Okay. They are black, but they don't look caterpillar-like. They crawl in your ear? They're a little bitty, right? Like microscopic? No. No, you can see them because she said she saw one yesterday crawling around her head. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I saw one on a couch. Oh. And freaked out. And Matt, my boyfriend, killed it and threw it outside. But all day I kept feeling like there was an earwig in my head. Of course. Yeah. They're probably laying eggs in her brain. Shut up. Oh, my. They are not. You know. Do you hear like a little. There it is. That was the sound that it makes. I heard Jay's text message alert as well. That's right. And they're very similar. They sound almost identical. That's how you know you have an earwig. Yeah. Jake is a tag, so I get an earwig. That's right. Little. What are the... I call them stink bugs. Infestation of those right now. They look like little black... They're long, little black insects, but when you step on them, they stink. Oh, and their legs are kind of weird looking. Stink bug. Stink bug. Yeah. They're all over right now. Are they? Yeah. The rains...

Well, there's a lot of activity up here. It looks like the 15 just south of Rancho Penasquitos Boulevard. There's a car that hit another car there over on the right shoulder. You live and breathe and eat the Mikey Show. And that means that when you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, you don't cuss. So it was actually 50 Cent that tweeted this. It was after the 49er and Giants game. And I'll tell you exactly what it was that he tweeted. But first, Woods. Tell everybody what we saw in the UT this morning about the San Diego State Aztecs. Well, the Aztecs are having a great, incredible season. They are the number 13 team in the country. And they were going to travel to Wyoming to take on the folks over at University of Wyoming. Right. Well, they had to stop and get gas in Utah, and they got stuck, my friend. They got grounded by a snowstorm. They were about 476 miles from Laramie Regional Airport. I've been to, and it's pretty much a turd. And so they got stuck in Utah. But they're confident they can get to the game for tonight. And that game, like I said, is this evening in Laramie at 6.30 p.m. There you go. Also, the San Diego Chargers have made kind of a switch with the defensive backs coach. They have hired Ron Meeks from the Carolina Panthers. And what had happened was Steve Wilkes left the Chargers.
To go to the Panthers. Really? The Panthers guy, Ron Meeks, came over to the Chargers. Same position. Weird. Meeks knew Norv and Wilks knew Rivera a little bit better. Whoa. They're just switched teams. Let's see. So, yeah. So, Fitti. Fitti sent. He bet half a million dollars on the Giants-Niners game. And he won. And tweeted, just watched a $500,000 football game. Wow. And then he wrote, I'm giving this money to my Nana. She gonna faint LMAO. All she do is go to church again. I'm giving this money to my Nana. She gonna faint LMAO. All she do is go to church. Oh, hey, listen.
It's his money. If he wants to spend a half a million dollars betting on a game, he can bet on a game, right? So is he going to have to pay taxes on it now that he's announced that he won $500,000? Probably. Yikes. That's a lot of money. That's a lot of money. That's a lot of scratch. And I can't imagine. I've bet a couple hundred on a game before, and it's no fun. It's not fun at all. It's not fun to watch. No. Imagine losing half a million dollars. Terrible. Well, his Nana's going to be happy. because all she'd do is go to church. Right. So, therefore, she will be happy when given the half mil. What's the rationale there? What? In posting what your winnings are? Well, is she going to be happy? Wouldn't she be happy even if she did more than just go to church? That is a terrific point. In fact, that is a great point. I wish that I would have...
said that to him. You should go on Twitter and say that to him. Be like, wouldn't she have been happy regardless? Does he mean that she lives this little life where she doesn't do anything and she doesn't go to church? But that's a great point. Wouldn't she be happy anyway? Maybe I'll go tweet him. You should. What if it leads to intercourse? Oh, wow. That just shocked me. I didn't think you were going to say that. No, that's not what I meant. No, uh-uh. No. Well, I was going to say, what if it led to some dialogue between the two of you? If he's going to dialogue me, he would, you know. Oh, wow. Excuse my French, everybody in America. Why are you screaming? They're screaming to me at the top of your lungs. I don't know if you heard about this. This is a real story. And I only point that out so that you don't believe that I, in fact, made it up. I didn't. I'm not going to tell you what this thing is because most people know. Before I tell you this, you got to know. The Mikey Show is not a show for children. It's a show for grown-up people. Too late with my last comment. Yes. It's a show for grown-up people. In fact, it's actually a show.
It's geared towards men, which is why I thought that some men may find it amusing that a 32-year-old Alabama man is being charged with sexual battery after teabagging someone. You see, again, don't need to necessarily explain because I think most of us know from America. Home of the teabag. Yes. Well, I think the English brought it over. Yes, on the Mayflower. Land of the free, home of the teabag. Yeah, it's the first thing they did once arriving at Plymouth Rock. Well, at the tea party, the Boston Tea Party. Yeah, that's what that was about. The Boston Tea Bag Party is really what it was. Well, apparently this LSU fan had passed out after the BCS championship. And the man that is in trouble apparently teabagged the man's neck. Oh, man.
Well, that's part of the problem. You see, this happened at a Bourbon Street restaurant while a crowd of fans wearing University of Alabama colors were looking on. Cheering him on. Well, they didn't stop it. They captured it on video, which went viral on the Internet. You never show your face. And so Brian Downing surrendered to New Orleans police. And was booked on $10,000 bond. Oh, that's expensive. I hate. Why? How is this guy asleep in this restaurant? Passed out. Passed out. Dude, his team. It's not a hotel. It's a restaurant. His team just lost the national championship. He was drowning his sorrows. Yeah. And just, he was way over served. Yes. And by way over served, you mean teabagged on the neck. Look at the fun bags on that horse hound. Oh, man. That is not the way that you want people to learn your name nationally. Brian Downing, no. No. No, Brian Downing. The teabagger? Brian Downing. Well, the other guy, too. Well, the other guy's name is... Being held because he's a victim. He's a sexual assault victim. Thus changing what Woods said earlier.
I guess sometimes it might have some humor to it. And if that happened at a frat party, it'd be a-okay. Well, you know who that doesn't? Yeah, you know who that doesn't happen to? You know who that doesn't happen to? Them's the rules. You pass out. You get T-back. People right on your face. Remember that. I'll tell you what. I don't have a problem with it. Whatsoever. I don't have. And this guy. And why do you not have a problem with it? Because it's just guys being guys. Now, what if the guy didn't know the guy? What if it was a stranger? I think it was. It was a stranger. That's what I mean. I still don't have a problem. It still doesn't change it. If I'm the guy that got teabagged, I'm like, you S-O-B. Wait a minute. But if it's your pal, like, okay, it's one thing as a pal. It's another thing if it's a strange bag. I don't know that bag. Well, they're all strange. You shouldn't know it anyway. He only did it because it went viral and he was embarrassed.
Really? I guarantee it. See. He's like, you want to teabag me? It'd be one thing if Woods or Jay did that. It'd be another thing if... John Simpson off the street did it. But again, you know who doesn't have that happen? Right. If you passed out because you were doing whatever in a restaurant. Right. You're drunk. First of all, what kind of place is it? Yeah, what kind of restaurant? It's New Orleans. It's New Orleans. I've seen way worse than New Orleans. He's tea bagging. My wife saw a guy tie his wiener into a knot in New Orleans, and that is a true statement. And I am not kidding. You're looking at me like I'm kidding. I'm not kidding. That's not what I'm looking at. That's a true story. Wow. She saw that. There's weird stuff that goes on down there. There's voodoo. There's all kinds of weird stuff. That is voodoo. That is voodoo right there. That is amazing. You don't say woods. No, you don't have to promise. I swear. That would insinuate that I have a hard time believing you, which I don't.
It lends credibility to this story. Well, thank you. Because without that story, I'm not sure I would have believed the Associated Press's story about this LSU fan. So thank you for bringing into context with what your wife saw. I just, you know, but I'm not sure I understand. That's a feat. It is a feat. Wow. I wonder if it's the same guy. No. Probably not. No. One gentleman was African American. Guess which one? Not Brian Downing. Don't you wish you could turn off Woods' mic? He can. Oh, wait. But he sits right across from me, so. He should reach over and turn it back. Talk louder. Yeah. Maybe we put him back on Facebook or something. Yeah. That's strange. He's clearly lost his mind. Every once in a while.
Woods will say something that's really out there. It's not out there. It's a little over the top. You said, what kind of place is this? It's a little over the top. And I said, New Orleans. Stuff like this goes down there. It was a rhetorical question. I didn't literally mean. I thought you wanted an answer. I didn't literally mean. Let me get my pen and paper. I'll write down the rules. Hey, listen. Oh, wow. I've never heard of New Orleans, Louisiana. Is anyone here? Is anyone here? familiar with New Orleans, Louisiana. Oh, Woods, you've been there several times. I went to... No, no, no, I didn't ask that. I went to Mardi Gras one time. I understand what happens. I understand. We went as a show. Minus Mike. Minus Mike. And I didn't see anything like that crazy. I'm just telling you, weird stuff goes on down there. Obviously. Voodoo. Yeah, he followed that story up with voodoo. As if it's in the same ballpark. Just trying to lend some credibility to your story, pal. No. Maybe he was doubling as a voodoo doll. Yeah, could be. All right, so let me put this out there. Let me put this out there and see who we can get. Are you out there? Are you 30 or over 30 and living with your parents because you want to?
Now, understand this. This is a safe place. Do not, under any circumstances, feel that you will be judged. You will not. We simply want to talk to the person that is 30 or over that lives with mom and dad. Now, the reason is because we find that interesting. My brother, Steve, he has on and off done that. And here's what I am not looking for. Necessity. If you're living with mom and dad out of necessity, it's not the call that we can take. Because I think at one time or another, maybe we've all been there. But what I'm talking about is I like it. I like it. I'm happy. Sometimes it's cultural. Yeah. Maybe it's a cultural thing. Yeah. I know a Thai guy that lives at home. Really?
And it's a cultural thing. Yeah, and he gives a lot of his money back to the fam. Yeah. That happens a lot in my culture, which is the Mexican culture. Now, 570-1949. You're 30 or older. You live with your mom and dad. We just want to know why. And we want to talk to you about it. And we want to discuss and knock that around. Wacky and crazy stories you have. Yes. That is out there on the docket, and so is this one. Tracy Morgan. As you know, Tracy Morgan is wacky. Yes. I mean, wacky as all get up. And apparently, there had to be a 911 call placed because he was at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, and here's what that sounded like. We heard the Blue Iguana. What's going on? What's going on with him? He has a fever. I don't know if he's been drinking. Did you hear that? All right, so it's actually a celebrity. He has a fever. He has a high fever. He has antibiotics. He has an infection in his foot. This is all happening today. And so he's passed out. Okay, how old is he? And how old is he? About 30, 40.
40, 43. 30 or 40? Yep. Quite a range. 20 to 70. Is he awake? He is, looks like right now, he's stressed out. He is not awake right now? No, he's not awake right now. Yeah, I'd put him between 20 and 70. He's somewhere in there. Well, he's 43 years old, Tracy Morgan. And apparently, he got altitude sickness. He was in Utah on Sunday and he got altitude sickness. I guess it's a real thing. Is altitude code for a new vodka? No, I've gotten altitude sickness. Really? I've never passed out though. Apparently it's a real bit. Well, if you mix the altitude with beers, that might do it. I usually do. I know. He suffers from diabetes as well. Yeah. Infection in the foot would be bad if it was all encompassingly. Mark the time. Put the time down to save that one. You can't just throw out big words, Dave. It's a fake word. All encompassingly. That one as well. Save that one too. Here's what he put on Twitter. Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook this kid from Brooklyn up. Thank you to the hospital staff. Back at work tomorrow shooting 30 rock.
There you go. Tracy Morgan. Guy's had a rough year. Has other stuff happened too? Oh, yeah. Remember the whole racist? Yeah, that was last year. Oh, that's right. Yeah, that was last year. It wasn't racist. It was against gay people. Oh, against gay people. That's right. It was gay-cist. Gay-cist. If you were not listening earlier, Kevin Federline, the guy that used to be married to Britney Spears, put on a tremendous amount of weight. Woods. He had bloomed. To 232 pounds. I just made that up. I've never said it. I like it. It works. It definitely works. He bloomed to 232 pounds. That's bigger than me. Wow. Barely. He was filming a reality show in Australia called Excess Baggage. Man. That's what I call my ex-wife. The fact that a chick said it is even better.
He's 33 years old. They had to give him oxygen. He was doing some bit where he was, like, catching a ball running up a hill, and his heart started beating real fast, and he went into minor cardiac arrest, and they took him off. Wow. I mean, he just had a sudden realization of who he was. Yes, that he was Kevin Federline. What show he was on. Popozao. Popozao. Our phone number here is 570-1949. We have a guy, M1 Brazil, from PB. Are you there? Yeah. Now, you're calling about your brother. I have two brothers. One is 32 and the other is 28. I love this accent. I love your accent. Turn your radio down. Thank you. So, one is a lawyer and the other is a doctor. And they still live with my parents. They live there because they rather finish school and have money to... Purchased their own place instead of to struggle. And they ran like I see the kids leaving mom and dad's house when they turned 1918 over here. Wait, wait, wait. Question though, M1 Brazil. Is this here? They do this here in America or they do it back home? No, they do this back home. Back home in Brazil. Yeah. Is it a pretty regular thing? You see it regularly? Yes.
I don't see anyone actually having roommates in Brazil. Okay, so here's my next question. If you live with your mom and dad, do girls, they don't have a problem with that, right? No, not at all. They don't think it, because in America, there's a stigma attached to it. You live with mom and dad and you're over 30. Well, and we're just picking a number. It could be even younger. I understand that, yeah. But the older you get, there's a stigma attached to it, and it's like, oh, man, what's up? How come he's living with mom and dad? Uh-huh. Every once in a while, I will have bad dreams, and the bad dream will be I'm in jail or had to move back in with mom and dad. Oh, wow. Which would be worse for you? Oh, that's a good, well, jail. That I would rather be living with my mom and dad if I could. Well, now I have my family, I have my kid, and... I wish I could have my kid with me until he's like 20, 21. Yeah. Let him leave my house once he has money to pay for his bills, have his own place. Got it. Hey, thank you, M1. Thank you, M1 Brazil. Thank you. My wife would probably say the same thing about our kids. You don't have a choice anyway, so. Yeah? What do you mean you don't have a choice? Well, when they're going to school and they're trying to make a full-time student here in California.
So they're going to, I mean, it's hard to work a full-time job and afford a place to live here. Oh, they have dorms. Yeah, there's, you know, it's so much more expensive to stay in a dorm. I mean, you're going to be paying for those bills, especially when there's not jobs really available right as you get out of school. Yeah, I just think you like having the kids around. Yeah. I think so, too. You make excuses, but the truth is you love having your kids around. No, Maddie, I was glad when, I mean, I love Maddie. Maddie, if you're out there, I love her, my oldest daughter, but it was time she definitely wanted to spread her wings and go. You miss her. I was happy. You miss her. I'm just glad she's close. She can still come over and then she can leave. Well, her boyfriend works here now, so he keeps really close tabs on them. Yeah, he does. You think that's uncomfortable? Yes. Jay's future son-in-law? Maybe. Possibly. It better be. It better be. It better be. Yeah, he's trying out the cow for free right now. Oh! That's... Holy cow. Oh, gosh, Nicole. Open for business. Milk is not... Milk is... Oh, my God. You get the samples, and then you've got to actually buy that cow. Oh, wow. That's his dog. You know, at that age, I was a milk sampler. Didn't really buy anything until I was 32. Yeah. Yep. You'd been waiting a while. You'd been coming by my house. It would have ended relatively quickly. That's why she didn't live in your house anymore. She didn't give away free milk. Have you had any conversation with him or anything? Not with him. Would you?
At some point. Would you do it on the air? At some point, you really would, Jay. At some point, absolutely. You would say, hey, listen, pal, what would it sound like? I'd be afraid of it. You know, it just depends on the situation, but it would be, hey, you need to, you know, make this right. Can we pretend I'm him? Yes. Sure. My heart's racing. Me too. What do you, does he call you Jay? Yes, he calls me Jay. I don't know. He worked for me forever. I know, but... I've known him forever. Hey, listen, in some situations you would say Mr. Isbell because you're... No, I'm not Mr. Isbell. Well, okay, so here's our role play. Okay. We'll actually have to do it right after this. My daughter's going to kill me. I can't wait. My wife's going to kill me. Oh, yeah. The whole thing. Yeah. Nick's going to kill me. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Another one on the 163 southbound right before the 5. I don't see a backup, really, from either one of those yet. I do see a backup, though, over here. Let's take you right over here with this map. It would just work for seven seconds. There you go, the 805. It's not even where it was, but there is a backup here. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. This is Bird, Bird Surfshed, with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Tuesday morning. Brought to you today by Joe Roper's Circle Repair. It's right down there on Marina Boulevard. You ding them, he fixes them. He does a great job of it, too. Go see Joe down on Marina Boulevard. Today, looking at a slow decrease in a combination of west and northwest really windy and groundswells. Looking pretty sloppy out there, as you would expect, after yesterday's strong winds and rain that we saw. Water quality somewhat suspect as well. And we do have continued pretty strong tide swings from high this morning to low this afternoon. That being said, chest, shoulder, head eye waves just about everywhere. Overhead waves at standout spots. The problem is trying to find someplace clean enough literally to go off surfing. Beach breaks you're better betting out, but they're pretty junky and closed out. Paddle outs are pretty tough too. Should improve some throughout the morning if the winds stay offshore and the tide slowly goes out. Reef Breaks has some pop-up peaks right now, too, but not a lot of organization to them. So there's going to be ways today. It's just going to be kind of hard to find a good place to paddle out. For up-to-the-minute surf reports forecast, go to surfline.com. And for all your surfboard restoration needs, go see Joe Roper. The Authentic Surf Report can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Tickets, please. With Mikey.
I'm a pretty honest guy and I've been a pretty honest guy for many years. Woods. I'll never forget it as long as I live. It was some village in Africa. She had like 60 of those rings around her neck and just boobs hanging out. Lauren. You know what I think the scariest thing is about clowns? They don't say anything. Yeah, that's right. Even though they can talk. And Jay. Just a man trying to do the right thing. On FM 94.9. Jay's our producer. He's 48. Father of four kids. That I know of. Oh. One of his kids is Maddie. And how old is Maddie? Maddie's 23. Now. But can we use just like, we don't have to say it's Maddie, just like any of my kids maybe. Yeah, but didn't you already say? That it's Maddie. I mean, you said that already. Let's just call her Madeline. Yes. Okay.
Oh, this must be the cutoff time. This must be when Jay's family starts listening. They start waking up and this is when he turns into super dad. Super husband. You have to take the costume off. You have to wear it all the time. Yeah, as soon as he knows that his family is beginning to wake up, suddenly Jay is like, why? Fatherhood is so wonderful. It's a gift. It is a gift. Why? Women. The better species. That's right. The stronger half. That is true. I only have eyes for one. I like to retract a previous statement where I said I like to look, but I don't like to touch. I no longer like to look or touch. That's right. I like to look. By the way, I retract my statement from 620 this morning when I was talking about that Charger girl. Hooters. Hooters. why that horse sound effect I played, that was in no way related to my own personal equipment. Yeah, just forget it. Don't even worry about when I said that. Well, anyway, his daughter is dating a guy that actually works for this radio station. Living with. And is living with his daughter? Yep. And Jay said that if he...
meaning the young man, doesn't propose to his daughter, he would eventually have a conversation with him. At some point. At some point. Which will remain unnamed, undated. So I said, can we do a role play here? I'm the young man. Yes. And I'm just curious how you would start this conversation. It would go something like this. I'd go, hey, man, what's going on? Not too much. Not too much. Hey, man, you know how important my family is to me, right? Yeah. Well, I just want to make sure that you have my daughter's best interest in mind. Why? Did something happen? No, I just want to make sure that, you know, are you happy? Is everything going good? You like what, you know? Yeah. You're mad you're getting along? Yeah. Did she say that we weren't getting along? No, no. I'm just wondering because, you know, I know that Maddie, you know, she'd like to, you know, have a family, start a family. And I was just wondering, do you see this being somebody you could spend the rest of your life with? Well, I don't know. I mean, that's so personal. I know. It's my daughter. So it's very personal. Well, I know. Well, what do you, I don't understand. What are you getting at? I just want to make sure that you're not seeing this as a free ride. I mean, it's going to be, you know.
I'm looking out for my daughter's best interest and I want to make sure that you are as well. Absolutely. But shouldn't that be between her and I? Well, you know, I don't think so. He would say that. He would. He would say it. Yeah, he would. There is no, I mean, there's no doubt, no doubt in my mind. I hope you don't hate me. This man would go for it. I just wonder what the time period would be. It's Saturday. No. This Saturday. Oh, gosh. I mean, I know they've got plans. I mean, that's the only reason I'm, you know, I don't know if they even had the conversation, but at some point they've bound ahead. Hey, I got the song and dance of the plans bit, too. Yeah. Well, that's why Dad's going to step in at some point. Yeah. If you want me to step in with Matt. That's going to happen on this end, too. Yeah. Wow. This is going to carry a heavy hand. If you would like Jay to have a conversation with your boyfriend, Matt Commerce, he would be happy to talk to your BFMC. He...
is good at those conversations. And by good, I mean hard as nails and terrifying. He's terrifying. Yeah. He's a terrifying guy. Donkey kick. Yeah, donkey punches. Yes. Not that. M1, Catherine from Oceanside. Are you there? You want to comment on the whole Jay situation? Oh, yes. Actually, I had moved in with a boyfriend when I was 23 years old. And he never talked to my dad about it. We just kind of popped right in and got an apartment a month. You know, we just took a month and made the decision, moved in. Well, that relationship didn't work out. My dad had no respect for him, just absolutely didn't like him. Well, earlier last year, my boyfriend, my current boyfriend and I had decided to move in together. Well, he didn't want to move in with me until my dad approved. So we drove up to my hometown in Pismo, and he...
Asked my dad up for breakfast. And when they went out to breakfast, he said, you know, I just want to let you know I have the most respect for you and your daughter. And I just want to ask you if it would be okay if I moved in with her. And I wanted to let you know that I do have intentions to marry her. So two weeks ago, he actually proposed to me. We've been living together for about four months now. So my dad is very excited. So, I mean, you know, as long as he has respect for, you know, as long as the guy that's dating Jay's daughter, taking her for a test drive. is respecting his daughter. You know, he should also show some respect to Jay and just kind of let him know his intentions. And Jay, listen, that's Jay's feelings too. I mean, Jay is very open about the fact that even as a dad, he doesn't have a problem with his kids living together with someone. The milk. Yeah. Yes. Kids are going to do what they're going to do. Kids are going to do what they're going to do, but you don't disapprove. And that's, you know, cool. That's Jay's way, and my way is different. I would do it different. Thank your lucky stars, my friend Mike Esparza, that you have three boys. I'm still going to tell the boys. I know you are. I know you are. I know you are. I know you're going to tell them, but when they're off at college doing their thing, it's not going to make you as crazy as thinking about your daughter. Absolutely. Hey, thanks for the call, Catherine, doing creepy stuff.
With guys like your boy Woods. Here's the thing, though. You know, as a parent, my job is to instruct. And whether they take my advice or don't take my advice is up to them. They're going to do whatever they're going to do. But I'm always going to be telling my boys, hey, listen, I want you to wait to have sex until you're married. What about you, Dad? Did you wait until you were married? No, I didn't. And I wish... now, in hindsight, that I had. Sure. Here's why, da-da-da, you know, I think, you know, what my beliefs are. And they're going to have that rap all growing up. Oh, yeah. I had it all growing up. Didn't exactly pan out. Hey, listen. Kind of went the other way. And I get it, L-O-B. Listen, I get it, you know, and that's what I meant. Your kid's going to do what your kid's going to do. They're going to do what they're going to do. But at least, at least your dad had told you.
Well, my mom told me several. She did the cow bit for years. Turns out I turned into the cow. So she would say the cow thing even before you lived with a guy? Oh, yeah. Oh, starting from when I was like 15. How would she say it? Why buy the cow when you can get the milk? I know, but how would she? But that conversation. Remember. Just remember. When you would have a boyfriend, she would say, hey, just remember. When I would leave the house pretty much every time I left the house. I get that. With a box of condoms. Now, let me ask you this. Did she ever explain, like, did she ever, was it just that phrase and left it that? No. Well, she was basically explaining that the way that guys operate. Yeah. And it could be fun and it could be fine. And yes, it would feel good. Yeah. But if you want them to respect you and if you want an actual boyfriend, here's what you should do. Wow. So. So I was on the wait till marriage bit for a while, and then I got peer pressured by a boy. It's tough, man. That's what boys do. That's what guys do. It's innate, and it's inborn in us to know how to do that. Yep, I was on it for a while. I mean, and I did good. Did you? Yep. See, I have more faith in the fact that you did.
I appreciate that. That she heeded that advice for so long. I got a bad rap as a prude. Oh, so this guy peer pressured you? No, no, no, no. People knew, like, oh, yeah, well, if you date her, you're not going to get it. Because she followed it to the T. That is badass, though. Yep, but then, you know, sometimes the guy that you really like goes, like, all right, well, it's been cool. And I'm like, wait, wait. Man, dude. Maybe I take my mind. It's in us. It's in us. We all know how. It's called the takeaway. And we all know how to do the takeaway. Yeah. And it works. It absolutely works. We took away with, you know, all of the cuddles and the snuggles. It's all gone. They were getting old for him. Oh, it gets real old. I got addicted to those. It hurts a little bit. Yeah. And I was like, come back. I've reconsidered. Okay, I've reconsidered. Oh. I know. No shame. If I. If I were a dad and I knew that some guy was doing what I've done a million times. Oh, my dad knew. My dad knew the first time he met the guy. Yeah, you want to strangle their face. But you can't strangle their face because then it drives a girl right to his arms. I have such an issue with kids playing house, like 22, 23-year-olds. It makes me insane because I never lived with a woman until my wife, ever.
I was 32 years old. The first time I ever lived with a woman. I have such an issue with it. Wait, wait, wait. But. Yes. That being said, my friend. You. Is it fair to say that before meeting your wife, you were a bit of a player? Yeah. Like the buffet. Yeah, absolutely. But I always live by myself. I never like. You kick them out. There's. Listen. I have a problem with that. Wait, wait, wait. Playing. I have a problem playing house. I don't have a problem with serial fornication. Wait a minute. And I do. I don't. You don't, I do. Right. But here's the point that I'm trying to make here is that it isn't like, what do you say that your problem is with playing house? That it puts unneeded pressure and there's a time and place for it. And it's going to come. It's going to come for everybody. There's no need to do it when you're 22 years old. You've got to worry about, hey, we're playing house. There's no reason to live like man and wife. And that possibly could include sex. I think that Jay nailed it when he said, but you wanted the buffet. Oh, real good. It wasn't like...
Hey, listen, you know, I don't need to mature. I, you know, I don't need to mature this much at this young age. It was that you were gone. It wasn't practical for you. We were having kids at that age. When you were in your 20s, Woods, you were capable of some ladies. Yeah. But the deal is, you weren't going to live with one. Right. Because it would get in the way of business. Yeah. And business was good. Business was real good. But. People are living longer. Take that into consideration. But all I'm saying is, look, I've seen so many of these situations. And I'm not talking about Nick and Maddie. There's somebody that I know right now that's going through this situation. Yeah. And my advice to that person was, look, you have years. ahead of you before you have to worry about the pressures of acting like man and wife why don't you wait till you're really man and wife to put those pressures on yourself go out i'm not saying go out and slay everything you can but go out and have fun and learn to be a man on your own who can live by himself cook for himself clean for himself do whatever you know and and that's my issue really why what
Why? Why do you have to learn all those things? Why can't you learn them together? And people are living longer, LLB. Why would I want to spend more time with my wife? Well, statistically, people that live together first, the divorce rate is higher. You say that. I checked. Last time you said it, I checked. I could not find a single anything that showed that. I'll get it for you. People that get married after 30, statistically, have a lower divorce rate. So I do have one thing going for me. Bam. Just like that. Jay, my thing is it's pressure. I lived with Rebecca. I lived with Rebecca before we got married. How long? Were you engaged? I believe we were engaged. I don't remember. That wasn't a part of it. These are opinions that I developed afterwards. In hindsight. I said the living longer thing. Because people have oats, you know? They have learning to do, stuff like that. You can get bored quickly. You can get married and, you know, let those oats just go crazy. You can't. In some ways. Like, you can travel together. Well, Mike, some days. You can't have key parties. Some days with oats. Some days you want strawberries in your oatmeal. Some days you want brown sugar. Well, I know. That's what I'm saying. Just wait.
Make sure you absolutely want to have Wheaties every single day before you buy a lifetime supply of Wheaties. Yeah. Wait a second. Are you saying that in order to enjoy the Wheaties, you got to eat a bowl of it first? No, I would try like Cheerios. I would try Rice Krispies. I would try Wheaties. Lucky Charms. I would never buy a lifetime supply of cereal without trying it first. Oh, I agree with that. You definitely want to taste that cereal. Sometimes cereal is not as good as other cereals. You know, sometimes the cereal is better. Sometimes the cereal is better and lasts for 54 years. Sometimes it lasts for 72 days. You know the ingredients. In fact, since we're talking about statistics... It lasted a lot longer. Boy, they don't make them like they used to, do they? The cereal back then. The cereal back then. It was better for you. Yeah, it was better for you. The other thing is, there was less access to a bunch of different cereals. Yes. And they weren't so easy to find. It's definitely more taboo for you to have.
cereal before it was time to have breakfast. That's true. You couldn't leave your cereal. Right. Which I agree with that. Don't leave your cereal. And people didn't. They stuck with that cereal. Stick with that cereal. Now cereal is delivered to your house. You can have cereal anywhere you want. You can order it online. You can go to websites that are dedicated to cereal eating. Yes. That is a true story. We have a couple flavors at the same time. But all I'm telling you is, is that back in the day, when you stuck with one cereal, it worked out real good. Absolutely. Maybe if you were certain that you like the ingredients in the cereal, then you don't need to try other ones. I think we know what the ingredients are. No, no, you don't know it. Don't we? Do we? Oh, really? We're going to be surprised. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Absolutely. I have some cereal that blew my mind. Cereals have padding on them. Yeah. Oh, come on. Some cereals are different sizes. Give me a break. Some cereals are stale. I thought these were going to be like giant flakes, and these are just little specks. Oh, really? Yeah. It's a good thing I'm in love with this cereal. Now I got to eat this? Have you ever had, really? Have you ever had, Mike?
stale cereal. Just didn't do anything for you at all. Just kind of sat there in the bowl. Woods, Woods, that's a great question. No. Have you not? No. Because even when it's cereal, it's so good. You know what? It's cereal, man. It always tastes good. Yeah, it's better than a root canal, but sometimes it's better to just go to sleep instead of eating cereal at night. But if you're hungry, even stale cereal is good. Yeah. You better be real hungry to eat stale cereal. What about rotten milk? That'll do it. That laugh. She does it on purpose. You just witnessed on the air what I deal with off the air every single day. Only it's worse off the air. It's just, she'll get me off the air. Gosh darn it. Just the color drains from his face and his eyes get wide.
LV lives for it, man. I do. It's her favorite thing. It makes you laugh so hard. M1 Lizzie from Cardiff, you there? Go ahead. I just wanted to comment on your conversation right now. I found out on Facebook yesterday on my son, who is 21, on his girlfriend's page that they're moving in together in four days. What do you think about it? I was pretty upset about it because he had asked me. I don't know, maybe four or five months ago, if they could move in together because his roommate that he was currently living with was cutting out on him. How old is he? He's 21. He'll be 22. Why was he asking permission then? Well, because he knew I'd be upset. So he asked me a couple months ago. Whoa, whoa, whoa. We got to put the brakes on right there. I got to put the brakes on on that one. How? He's 21 years old. What's he asking permission? I don't think it was really permission. He was just asking what I thought about it. For your blessing? Yeah. And I told him no, and his dad lives out in Arizona where he lives. He goes to ASU. And I said, move in with your dad for a little while until you can figure out another roommate situation. So he did. And he's lived with his dad for like the last four or five months after I told him no. And it's just not working out at dad's house. And then I guess I found out yesterday on her Facebook. Oh.
That they're moving in together. Let's see. Yep. They're going to do what they're going to do. They're going to do what they're going to do. I understand it. But this is what I'm going to tell you. My parents have been married for 54 years. They didn't live with one another or sleep with one another before they were married. And they've been married for 54 years. And I'm not going to embarrass. They still are amorous with one another. pretty badass yeah you know they still they still want each other yeah that's awesome physically and i just dude that to me is is is amazing and i think it's i don't know man i i make a connection correlation and i it's not like i'm saying this and i'm not guilty of it because i i did this you know but that's gonna be my bit with my boys is hey guys this is what i want you to know yeah

Then you've got an incident here on the 163 southbound right before the 5 northbound. It was an accident. It stated that there was an 85% failure rate among those who lived together before marriage. There was another study done by the University of Denver. It was a five-year study. This one's interesting because this one took a smaller sample group. And what they did was they were interested in cohabitation over the last 15 years.
Basically what the study said was that out of 1,050 married people, 19% of those who lived together before marriage had talked to their spouse about divorce. In the control group who did not live together, 10% had brought up divorce. That means that twice as many people who cohabitated had wanted a divorce enough to bring it up. Again, that's a study from the University of Denver. And I fall into the latter because my wife and I live together. We live together as well.
Before we got married. But statistically, and those are real studies. I found just as many studies as well because I Googled it as well. Let's see what you got. I'll send it to you, but it says that most of these studies. Mike, I'll have to send it because I just wrote it. No, no. You can just Google it. Where is it from? Where are these studies from? IsabelProductions.com. Yeah. Can you name the studies like I did? I'll open it up. I closed it, but it says right here. I actually pasted it on the Facebook page from their site. It said these studies are put together by conservative groups that are trying to get. Oh, like the University of Denver. That conservative group. Who's behind it? Who's funding it? The University of Denver. I don't think it's not a blanket thing, man. It's not a blanket thing. And it's not it's not something that numbers can really explain. It's just not. It's it's it's different for every single person. Well, yeah, but statistics don't have anything to do with opinion. But, Mike, you're talking about 1,000 married couples. How many married couples are there? 70? You need to say to yourself, when you Google it, the Internet can tell you anything that you want to know. And it will confirm everything you want to know. Well, wait a minute. I didn't type in failing marriages because you're living together. You know, I didn't type that in. I didn't type that in.
Neither did I, and that's what I'm saying. Mine came up just as many, you know, like I could post to you. I'll print some out for you if that's what you want. Well, you couldn't name them. Well, I got to Google them again. I closed it. I will, though. Hold on a second. I'll Google. I'll Google. You're floundering, Jay. I'm going to Google. You're floundering. No. He's writing a textbook on it. Yes. That describes. So he can publish it. He's got a bit. His. That's what strikes me as humorous. He's got a very strong position of living together first. Well, absolutely. You know, which is fine. Because it puts a lot more pressure. Better than a divorce where you spend the rest of your life spending over 60% of your money to take care of somebody else. Why don't you know that it works before you get involved? Well, are you saying that you can't know that it works unless you live together? I don't think you can completely know.
Once you move in with somebody, it's a completely different thing. There's an adjustment period. Everything is different. Well, then how did they do it back in the day? I think that you were just thrown into it. There's so many choices. No, no, no. Wait, wait. What do you mean you were just thrown into it? Well, back in the olden days. Yeah, like my parents. Yeah. You didn't get a divorce. Period. Right. It was unacceptable. Right. Well, it's not unacceptable anymore, my friend. Yes. So now, now when you're in it, you just go, at one point you go, eh, I'm out. I agree with you. No big deal. Hey, listen, I don't disagree with you. What they're saying in these studies that I cited was that statistically, that's the way it works out. I'm in the bad statistic. It's not like I'm, you know, I'm in the bad statistic. Yeah, I mean, but again, it's your sample size is pretty small. No, in the. The second study, yes, it was. In the first study, it wasn't a small sample size. I thought the one was interesting because it was a small sample size. Where did you choose those candidates from, Mike? I Googled conservative Christian ideas. I Googled, you know, what would Jesus do? The ones I looked at were unmarried.org, which is an organization. Unmarried. I'm the president of that organization. Mike, that's a creep, Sat. Don't worry about it.
Marriage Builders. That doesn't sound biased. Unmarried.org. As the secretary. Yes. And president of that organization. That's right. Yes, you are. M1 Adam from Poway. What was the word of the day? Textbook. Textbook. Did you say textbook? Yeah. He did. He did. It sounded a little bit like Facebook. Yeah, I thought so too. Textbook. It's textbook. It still sounded like you said it even again there. I said Facebook. That's right. It's Facebook. Can you go to Pamplemousse tonight? All right, truffle fries. Yeah, there you go, dude. There you go. Oh, truffle fries. Truffle fries. Hang on a line. He's going to Pample Moose tonight. Hey, and don't forget to tip your server, okay? Yes. Okay. All right, hang on. You tip them up real good. That's right. Just a tip. And gratuity. Even USA Today has an article in it that talks about. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Here we go. Living together is not. What does it say?
It says that... Oh, gosh. You should read this because I'm not good at... No, no. Please, please. Go ahead. Please read it. While researchers say the overall divorce rate is higher among those who lived together before marriage... Thank you, Jay. That's all I was trying to point out. Now they don't blame cohabitation. Now they don't blame cohabitation. That's all I was trying to point out. There's been a sea change in social culture and individual acceptance upon cohabitation. True statement. Yeah. He just... Hey, listen. I agree. It says they don't blame cohabitation. I think it's both. You know, I think it's both. I think culturally it's become more accepted, and I also believe that marriages work out better if you don't live together first. Says the conservative. If you're engaged. Says the conservative. Dude, I mean, I did it. I know, but it doesn't mean you haven't changed. It's like the old, do as I say but not as I do. Well, yeah. If you're in that situation again, I bet you. Because what I'm saying, just because I did it doesn't make what I'm saying wrong. Just because I did it don't make it wrong. You know what I mean? I could still be wrong, and I did it. Well, just because you say it doesn't mean it's right. It's like drugs. I could say to my kids, hey, don't do drugs. Dad, didn't you do drugs? Yeah, but that doesn't mean that doing drugs is okay because Dad did it. It means it's still bad. It's still not a good thing to do drugs. Okay, so the Wahlberg thing. I got to tell you about the Wahlberg thing because he was making headlines because of what he said. Mark Wahlberg wants to have his tattoos removed because...
It's almost like the same exact thing. He is telling his kids that tattoos are bad. Right. Don't get tattoos. And he has Sylvester the cat tattooed on himself. Wow. And wants to get it removed. And he's going to have his tattoo removed. Now, I wanted to know what you guys thought of the whole bit. I mean, first of all. What do you think of Sylvester the cat on his leg? Oh, that's pretty lame. And also, what do you think of him saying to his kids, no tattoos? Woods. It's hard, man. It's, you know, my dad told me, don't smoke pot. I did it once in college and I didn't like it. And I go, yeah, yeah, I won't, I won't. And I went and did it. He'd give you anything on tattoos. No. Never gave you a rap on tattoos. I made my own decision. But it's much more permanent.
Yeah. And right now I have a tattoo that I'm in the process of getting removed. Yeah. I won't tell my kid that they cannot. Yeah. I'll say, just think, because here's what I did, and I'll tell them my story and my whole thought process of getting it to getting it removed and also what it feels like to get both. It's a rooster, but she's getting it taken off. It's a big one. She won't show us. No. She won't let me see it. She hasn't shown us in months. I know. She won't let me. A year, maybe. I don't want you guys to be like, oh, it's not even funny, and get all discouraged. Yeah. Keeping it to myself. It's like when people have, they're pregnant and they don't want to tell the baby name. Yeah. I imagine. I don't know. I've never been there before. That's true. M1 Matt from Tierra Santa. Go ahead. Yeah, I think tattoos look pretty trashy on moms. They look trashy on moms? Yeah. Wow. You know, we're getting into an age now where it was fashionable for women to get tattoos, and now they're getting older, and we're starting to see older women with the tattoos. Hey, listen, just one man's opinion. Nothing sexier than a tattoo on the small of a woman's back. When said woman is 65, it's not the same as it was when she was 25.
Yeah. I like tats. I think they're pretty, I think they're pretty foxy on girls. And I think that, what about a 65 year old girl? I've never seen it. And I can honestly say that with a hundred percent certainty, I haven't seen what you're talking about yet. I haven't seen the old, the older, I don't make love to a lot of 65 year old women like you. So I don't get to see that. Yeah. Right. Right. You are a creep. That was too easy, buddy. But you got to think about, this is a line crosser today. Yeah, he's definitely. Just going for it. Mike, you're going to be 65 with tattoos. That's true. Well, listen, my dad, and thanks for the call, man. My dad had a tattoo and he discouraged me from it. It worked well. Now, I'm not going to discourage my kids at all about tattoos. Really? Not at all. That's why I don't have any. What do you mean? Because your dad said don't do it? No, no. I don't have any because I don't want my kids to have any. Okay. That's cool. That's cool. Here's going to be my wrap with my kids. I'll say, look, first of all, you've got to be 18. Yeah. And I will just give them advice. The advice would be it's better to wait longer because then you have a clearer mind about it, you know, once you're a little bit older.
They want them though, man. They want them bad at 18. But imagine if you had like a softball, you know, a flaming softball on your back. Or like a sun. It's a sun. It's not a flaming softball. It's a sun. No, I've seen it. It's a softball. It's a sun, you D. Did you get that from when you played softball? You were in a league and you were really hot. You guys were called like fireballs? You know, I was going to go with the barbed wire tattoo, but I changed my mind. It isn't barbed wire. I mean the Asian symbol. Tribal. I mean the Asian symbol. Yeah, I do have that. That's true. And maybe, and I might have, I might have photoshopped it out of a picture of myself, yeah. What? You did? Yeah, the left arm Chinese tattoo. I like that one, though. That one doesn't bother me. It's the dumbest. What does it mean? Mugu guy pan? Yeah. Yes, it actually, yeah. Oh, gosh. It means Mugu. Yeah, it means Mugu guy pan. Your favorite dish. Your favorite dish. Right. I wanted to kind of memorialize what my favorite dish was. Woods, you are right on the money. And so what I did was I went and got a tattoo that said that. What does it mean, really? Balance? Peace? Harmony? It means... Heavy load? It means noib. None of your business. I was going to say that. None of your beeswax. Why can't I know? It's a personal thing. I have an answer for that question.
I have an answer for that question. The reason that you can't know is because you will make fun of me. Okay, what if I... You just called my son, which is super lame. It's the lamest tattoo. But you call it a flaming softball. No, my buddy Adam used to call it that. I got it from you, Dad. I am... Listen, as far as tattoos in the room go, I'm number one lamest. There's no question. And I'll tell you, it's even in a lame spot. It's on my right shoulder. No, it isn't. You don't have a misspelled tattoo. I do. I have Matt Hugh on my leg. It's true. Matt Hugh. Mine's still lamer. Matt Hugh is cooler than this son that I have. Yes. Is it cooler than Matt Hugh? What does your Asian symbol mean? It's going to make me insane. I won't make funny, I promise. On our friendship, I won't make funny. It is, I'm trying to remember. You don't know. No, I'm trying to remember. I know. Would you get it removed ever? No, I just cover it by having it blended. You know, I'd have another tattoo that would blend it in. It's like pride, family, strength. Nothing wrong with that. Strength, family, and joy, I think. I don't know. I have no beef with that. I don't, honestly. I like family and pride and strength. I don't remember. Let's see. M1 Kevin from IB, are you there? Yes, sir. Go ahead.
Hey, check it out. You guys are talking about living together before y'all married? Uh-huh. Do you guys remember me? Do you guys remember me? I came in and proposed to my girl on your show. Oh, yeah. Yes. That didn't work out the way I thought it was going to. Now, did you live together? Yeah. She's actually an awesome girl, man. She's a real good girl, but we lived together for a little bit too long before we got engaged in this and that, and it just wound up. being a real sour thing. You know what I mean? Do you think it was because you lived together, though? I do. I do because we kind of jumped right into it, you know, and we just went way gung-ho with everything, and thank you for letting me come on your guys' show and doing all that. That was huge right there. Did you actually get married? We were about a week or so away, and some incidences happened, and well, I'm... I'm real deep into my church now. I don't get it. I don't get it. Somebody cheated, I bet. Somebody cheated? No, no, no, no. We just wound up bickering like we were married for 50 years, and we weren't ready for that yet. We still wanted to have the fun times. So you never got married? We never got married, no. You broke up a week before you were supposed to get married? Well, yeah, we were going to go and get paper signed and everything, and it was way too bitter, brother.
Oh, wow. That sucks, dude. Sorry about that. I'm very sorry. Sounds to me like living together worked out then. No, it didn't work out. No, it didn't. No, it didn't work out because you found out rather sooner than later. Look at you. Oh, boy. It's true. I get to kind of wind up for the better because we didn't actually get everything finished through, you know what I mean? Yeah. Well, I think they still could have figured that out without living together. Nothing like being forced together in this tight situation where you go. That's what I'm saying, man. Wait to play house. Wait. I say wait to play house. Well, you're in good company, Kevin. Lauren. I live together with someone. Don't live with them anymore. Still unmarried. So there's that. Just throwing it out there. Yeah. I'm trying to make Kevin feel better. About himself. Yeah. By looking at my dire situation. You're dire. It's now dire. You're dire situation. That's a strong word, you know, dire. Well, when you talk about the eggs, then yeah, I guess it's dire. Wow. Well, no, they're still fresh. They're still fresh eggs. They're still fresh eggs. There's some fresh ones. Maybe I go to the doctor and get it checked out. You don't have to. Maybe save some. You're a young woman. You can save some. Freeze them. You can freeze them. It's expensive, but I would, you know.
A bird in the hand. Invest in yourself. Invest in yourself. This man, Matt. Longer than it's ever been. True story. Don't do it, Mike. So stupid. Damn it. Commerce. I've tried everything. What would I do if I were engaged or married? I wouldn't have a joke. My answer to you is yes. I'm staying single purely for the jokes. It's like why I'm losing weight. I got to take something out of Jay's hand. He said to me this weekend, if you lose weight, I won't have nothing on you. Yeah. I said, you'll find something. Yeah, I will. I picture Matt, her boyfriend. You know, he hears this each day. Does he? He doesn't listen? Not always. Would you? No. Would you? I would not. Every time the guy turns on the radio, we're talking about him. It's like, oh, great. Nice wake-up call. That's a great way. That's a good word. Wake-up call. Yeah. How apropos. Hilarious. How apropos. Apropos. Oh, my gosh. Lauren, you don't have to get that. Well. Excited about it. Good luck to Kevin. Yes. Maybe I join his church. Yes.
Now, here's somebody else that proposed on the Mikey Show. It's M1 Bender from Oceanside. Hi. How's it going? Good. Good, good. Well, basically, in December of 2010, I proposed during your 28-hour show. How'd it go? Great. We got married in September, 9, 10, 11. There you go. Wow, nice. There you go. 9, 10, 11. And everything's been going great. You know, we lived together about four years before we got married. Wow. No complaints. I'm lying. Well, good luck to you, brother. Thank you, guys. Enjoy your day. There you go. Good luck. Lauren has been very open about her relationship, and she's been with her boyfriend for four years. Yeah. And, you know, she's waiting for him to pop the question. And he hears us talk about it. Right. And, you know, just sort of goes, hey, you don't tell me what to do. Yeah.
You know, kind of thing. I'm on my own schedule. I'm on my schedule, not your schedule. Well, more importantly, he hears it directly from my mouth to his ears. Yes. Yeah. LLB called this year, 2012. Told her boyfriend, this is the year you pull your head out of your egg. Told him that to his face. And also Facebooked it to him. Yeah. Twice. Once. One in an acronym and the other in a funny YouTube video. Right. Just to patch things up. Now, in case you missed it, he gave her a purse for Christmas and said the real present is actually on the inside. You know what's the worst part about this? What? He now thinks that story is funny. I'm not to the point where I'm laughing at that story. But Matt thinks that that's funny. He's like, I can see now. I can see. Oh, I can see. Now I get it. He put in there, he put a nice gift. It was a nice gift. Yeah. It was for them to take a balloon ride together. But Lauren may have been expecting something different. Jennifer Aniston, they say, same thing happened to Jennifer Aniston over the break, over the Christmas break, is her boyfriend gave her a purse. Yeah. And exact same thing. The real purse, well, we don't know if he said that to her.
That's only something that usually happens in the movies. But in this case, it didn't. No, that's my life. My life is a running comedy. Oh, wow. If you're a guy, is there a show that you're willing to admit has made you as a grown man cry? I got one. You got one. No, I got several. When we come back, call us 570-1949. This report brought to you by your San Diego County Toyota dealers. Toyota owners with the new year upon us. Now's a great time to bring your car to your neighborhood Toyota dealer from batteries to tires.
Toyota's got you covered. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. YouTube puts up. Hours of video? Yes. 15. That's a... Wait, wait, wait. In an hour? No, no. 15 hours of video per minute. Oh, in a minute? Yeah, per minute. Yeah, that would be my guess. 15 minutes. L-O-B? I'm going to go a little higher and say like 40. It's actually 60 hours of video added to YouTube per minute. 60 hours per minute.
Isn't that crazy? How do they even house it? I know. That's insane. 3,600 hours an hour. And that's a good question. How do they house all that? I mean, all the video on YouTube, how do they house that? I don't know. And it never goes away. Yeah, unless you delete it yourself. It's always there. That's probably why they're adding advertisements. Yeah. Maybe people stop being so upload happy. Yeah, uploading every little thing. Yeah, but then you're going to miss some gold. Yeah, it's true. Yeah, you'd miss a lot of people falling down, which is my favorite thing. It's a good bit. Creepy kid talking sexy to his girlfriend. Cats on there. Yeah. We would have missed out on, like Jay said, we would have missed out on this. Hi, baby girl. Everything's okay, I promise. This kid's 14. No, it's not okay. Don't worry about it. Everything's going to be okay. No, it's not. I love you. Do you? I love you so much. I love you more than there are grains of sand on every beach. Now be funny. Of every planet. I'm skewed. Of every galaxy of the universe. Wow. JK, right? I need you in my life. I need you more than humans need water and food to survive. I'm moving. I'm moving away. You mean more to me. Than? Than. Than? Home Depot means to Mr. Lojorado. Thank you.
You mean more to me than just anything. You mean more to me than golden diamonds. What are golden diamonds? Oh, they're diamonds made of gold? To the greediest burglar. You're just the most perfect, most beautiful girl. By the way, this kid looks... I'm not kidding. Looks just like Dustin Diamond. Who played Screech on Saved by the Bell. Looks just like him. Doesn't have a shirt on. And is sort of turning in a circle while he says all this. World. And I love you so much. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Totally. I hope you enjoy watching this baby girl. No, I'm petrified. I wonder what it was like the first time he called her baby girl. Baby girl. Oh, that laugh. It's a rapist laugh. Is that like what Bieber says? I love you. Yeah, baby girl. Oh, wow. Ted Bundy said that laugh's creepy. I love you more than anything else in the world. Oh.
Returning Ramirez, identical, had the same laugh. Just for me. Oh, gosh. Ew, ew, ew. Oh, God. So, we would have missed out on that. Yeah. Yeah. In 2007, it was six hours. Then in 2010, we were at 24 hours of video per minute. Mm-hmm. Then 35, then 48. Now, 60 hours of video every minute is added to YouTube. It's more than a 30% increase. So is that an hour a second? No. No, a minute. It's an hour a minute. No, 60 hours. 60 hours a minute, so an hour a second. A second. Holy crap. Oh, an hour a second. Oh, my gosh. Someone just... Hour. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam. But most, they probably average like three-minute clips. Yeah, I know. It's just adding them up. There's not much... So that means like 20 people right now. Right now. Done. Now. Right now. Right now.
It's insane. By the way, Google bought YouTube in 2006 for $1.65 billion. Man, that's how they house it, pal. It's Google. I said to LOB off the air, what is Google in the business of? I know that we use a search engine, but in terms of employees, I would think Google would have one guy. All he does is make sure that the search engine is still there. He goes there and he goes, yep, Google's still there. Hey guys, we're good. You're good for lunch. Can you just type something in there about what's happening in Mongolia? Just so we make sure. We're good. Did you do it? Yeah, I did it. And it gave you info on it? Yeah, it gave the whole thing. Websites? Yeah, everything. Links, everything's working.
What are their employees, LLB? So much. What do they do? Well, there's so many different little apps and programs that go with Google now. First of all, the Gmail is a huge thing that they have, plus YouTube, plus there's all these little features. What's a human being doing? Well, they're developing. There's like little beta versions going on all the time. A beta version is the first and early version of anything. Yeah, and they're testing it out. All different, because people, if things remain stale, people get bored with it and they want the next thing. So you're saying there are people there that are developing like email? They're developing all little bells and whistles on every existing thing. There's people that make sure that nobody out there is writing algorithms to make sure. I don't know what any of that is. Writing code. They write a lot of code. Because you want to make sure it's fair. Like a search engine is fair. So when you search something, you don't want.
Because some guy wrote a code to be like, oh, well, he shows up as the top site. Well, they sell that. They sell that top site, too. The top sites that show up are what Reese Local did. That's what I did. They show up as sponsored. Yes. I didn't understand the last 60 seconds on the air. It is a true fact. I did not understand the last 60 seconds on the air. And they're constantly changing it, too. So that people can't just be like, I know how I'm going to get the most Google hits. I'm going to do this to my website. Adapt or die, Mike. Well, thank you. Plus, they do the voice recognition. They got phones now. Let's see. Where is my teletype? Jay. Yes, I'll come show you. Here it is. We interrupt this broadcast. This is Tom Brokaw reporting from New York. And we interrupt this broadcast to bring you this late-breaking news. This is a story brought to you by Stephen R. Woods, who just handed me this. There is a tiny village in southern China, and it is called Dog Poop Village. The reason that they have that name is because it was a big joke that only dogs had ever been there to poop. Eventually, this small village got a road.
and learned what people on the outside were calling it. Now the 69 local residents have banded together and petitioned the local government to change the name. And from now on, the village will be called Jinxing, which means prosperous and happy. We bring you this bulletin because it is late-breaking and coming across our desk right now. It was brought to us by Stephen R. Woods. People need to know that. Stephen R., by the way, is on day number two of no Facebook. Yeah, I'm at like 24 hours right now. Yeah, just about. You johnsy? Yeah, bad. And sit-ups in place of Facebook. He is going to stay off of Facebook for one full week. It's kind of a Facebook challenge of sorts. I feel the girls posted on your page, Woods. Really? You should see them.
That's something to look forward to. Yep. One week from now, you could be browsing at that. The problem is I have the passwords. I'll probably delete that stuff before you. Lauren. Oh, wow. Come on, get up. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I know a lot of... So it turns out Goodfellas has been green-lighted, and they may be making it into a TV show. Goodfellas, the TV show. How great would that be? It's definitely music to Woodsy's ears, right, Woodsy? I love it, dude. I love it. It's going to be the story of Henry Hill and his gang. It's going to be a series, like the freaking Sopranos. That sounds pretty cool. Mad Men. And, dude, here's the deal. They got the guy that wrote the screenplay to the movie doing it. Yep. He did a casino also, Nicholas Pelleggi. Yeah. So they got the good stuff behind it. Gosh, I can't wait. And so I think people are going to like it. Yeah. In fact...
Martin Scorsese was going to be a part of developing it, too. Martin Scorsese. Right. I say that all the time out of nowhere. Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Martin Scorsese. Okay. Martin Scorsese. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He's screaming. I gotcha, I gotcha. All right, let's do a new release. What do you got, Woody? Well, one of our favorites, Mike, Chino Moreno from the Deftones, has a new side project. It's called Crosses. There's not really a name to the album. It's just two crosses. I saw you hyping that up on Twitter. Oh, real good. Well, he can't on Facebook because he's off Facebook. I would listen to Chino sing the phone book. That's a true statement. That is true. It's a little bit of a departure from the Deftones.
Well, it isn't the Deftones. Right. It's the departure from that style of music, even. I like it better. Yeah. It's really, really good. Joe Cocker has a new record out called Hard Knocks. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. The audience. I'll tell you. I'll tell you. 65-year-old guy in the Golden Nugget. Yes. The casino. Yes, there he is. They're dancing. 65-year-old guy, slow dance. Slow, lazy dance at the Golden Nugget. Just jeans after his boobs. Yep. Oh, wow, wow, wow. This girl was on American Idol, I think, right? Kelly Pickler? Yep. Yeah, Kelly Pickler's on the record 100 Proof. My brother met her and said she smells great. And it runs in a family, huh? Yeah. Well, you and the Esparza boys just love smelling women. Is it real weird? Yes!
You tried to smell Taylor Swift at a concert. Yeah, you smell her. Were you trying to one-up your brother? Is that why you smelled her? Yeah, he gets Kelly Pickler and you're like, hey, I smell Taylor Swift. Doesn't everybody like the smell of perfume? You like it more than those. Boy, you like it a lot. That may be true. That's a true statement. Because you guys make me into be some Japanese anime guy. Like I'm into some weird fetish thing, you know? You're probably like the guy in the movie, the perfume. Yeah, perfume fetish. He's a serial killer because he is obsessed with the way women smell. Wow. Well, thank you. There's that. You could be. Serial killer. Yes. Oh, thanks. The new NADA surf records out the stars are indifferent to astronomy. They're here at 4th and B on Saturday. Love that guy's voice. Yeah. Oh, and then one of Jay's favorites, the Scorpions. It's called Comeback. Game covers. Cover. Tainted love. I'm buying it today. Are you? I love that German broken accent. Klaus Mein. Klaus Mein. The new Seal record is out. Soul 2. Not what I thought. Now I feel like I'm sipping Chardonnay or Rio Nidi on ice. At a boat dock. At a boat dock. The new Tim.
McGraw. Emotional traffic is out. Somehow it all worked together. That's probably what actually happens on stage. I wonder why. And then out on DVD today is Real Steel. That movie about the boxing robots. The Whistleblower. That's the one with Huge Jackman. Huge Jackman, yeah. The Whistleblower is out. today as is 50-50, which is Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paranormal Activity 3, Geet, and Restless. Let's see. This is a Japanese movie that I won't be seeing. Listen to this study. This is kind of interesting. They did a study, 60 different people. Now, this professor named Brian Wansink from Cornell University, he had done a study before.
that determined that if we eat on larger plates, we're going to eat more. Okay, which sounds like common sense, but listen to this. Came up with this study that used color. It said that if people ate food that was the same color as the plate, they ate more. And that if you used a plate that was a different color than the food that you were eating, that you ate way less. So, for instance, If you're eating a red marinara sauce on a red plate, you're going to eat, they found in this study, a lot of it. But if you put that same spaghetti with marinara on a white plate, you eat significantly less. Sounds like horse hockey to me. It ain't horse hockey, bro. Maybe you pile too much on because you can't see the contrast. I don't know.
I did not get this from a conservative website. I believe you did. I didn't. When that guy that did that study, when he goes out to the bar and he meets a young lady and she asks him, what do you do for a living? I study food. It's fascinating. Like how? I take plates and I put various different food items on them. All right. Well, it was good meeting you. Typical fat guy. We'll be seeing you. By the way, this is... Professor guy. Yeah, professor guy. Professor guy voice. Identical professor. I have no idea why. Well, you never had a professor, so. Yeah. Yeah, I have no idea why he talks like this, but that's the way I imagined that he would talk if he was doing a study. That sounds good to me. Yeah, that's for me. Study voice. I got it. So, what's your name? My name? Yeah. Katie. Hey, Katie. Hi. Are you from around here? I know. Where are you from? I'm from Cleveland, just here on business. Would you like to make love? Sure. Wow. Easy Katie. That's what they call her. That's right. So they call me back in college, ladies and gentlemen. Time to go. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Come back tomorrow morning at 5.30 and do it all over again. The Mikey Show's out.
