Woods once again grabbed his acoustic and belted out some stoned Dave Matthews then Lauren killed it as a ditzy Jersey shore girl. Not to out-do herself, Lauren rips it up next as “little Maggie”. Mikey announces a future “Meet N’ Greet” with him and the new cast members forthcoming! ‘Things that should be banned’ becomes a new awesome bit. The Mikey Show ends this hump day on a barrel of laughs. Woods and Sienna react to one another like they’ve been at it for years! Lauren has settled in as a huge contributor. In this episode of The Mikey Show, host Mikey and his team—Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay—covered a mix of entertainment news and personal anecdotes. They spoiled the Lost premiere by revealing Locke as the smoke monster, listed the 2009 Oscar nominees, and debated the etiquette of using coupons on first dates. The conversation turned to relationships when Sienna discussed her fiancé's desire to tan before their wedding, and a caller posed as 'Jersey Girl' to share Jersey Shore season two spoilers. The show also featured a remarkable story of a teen shark attack survivor, an analysis of Dwight Freeney's ankle injury ahead of the Super Bowl, and kicked off a humorous 'things that should be banned' segment targeting items like male eyeliner and novelty truck ornaments.

KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Hey, good morning, everybody. Hello. Good morning. It's nice to be here. It is today. It's today. It's Wednesday, brother. Is it really? Yeah. Can you believe it? That happened really fast, right? It really did. It happened very fast. It's been a lot going on. It has been. Yes. Well, welcome to The Mikey Show. You can call us if you want to, 570-1949. You can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. And as day three gets started, it's starting to feel better and better and better, which I absolutely love. The show is starting to feel a little bit more comfortable. I'm getting a little bit more used to everything, and it's good to go. There are five people on The Mikey Show. I am the host of the program. My name is Mikey.
And I'm wearing a green Puma t-shirt today, just so you know. Sharp. That's right. Thank you. Sharp. It's from Milan, huh? It really is. It's from Milan. Made sure I got this thing flown in today from Milan. It's beautiful. Woods would know. The shoes he's wearing are from Milan. That's right. That's right. Let's see. What else can I tell you? There's so much happening in the news. I want to introduce everybody. So much happened in the news that we got to get to. And open phone lines for you. 570-1949. You can call about anything you want at the beginning and end of every show. So you can call right now and talk to us. We'd love to talk to you. Woodsy is our sports guy. He's 34 years old and now out of the hotel. Right? Yes. Got my own place. Got your own place. It's so 1970s San Diego. It's amazing. I feel like Jack Tripper in Three's Company. Nice. Jay got to see it, brought me a beautiful chair. Yeah. So I have a chair and an air mattress. Yeah. And that's it. And that's all. Does the internet work and everything? No. Oh. That's not. I got it all hooked up. They're coming next Monday. Got to go buy a couple TVs this weekend. I'm going to need a loan like ASAP from you. Okay, great. Super.
And I need to get plates, forks, knives, cups, the whole bit. So I'm actually going to go to the grocery store today after work. You're going to get your forks and your knives over at the grocery store, huh? Yeah, the plastic variety. More than likely to start. Bed, Bath & Beyond, they have the kind that go in the dishwasher. Well, it's for grown-ups. All right. I'm hoping that when I get married, I'm going to get some upgrades. So when I get those upgrades, you can have the leftovers. Oh, you're such an angel. Everybody's been so nice. bringing me stuff and, like, taking care of me. So, and I made the best purchase of my life yesterday, which was a Garmin. So now I will no longer get lost. That's good. A Garmin. What's that? Yeah, Lauren is, if it's pop culture, Lauren's usually kind of like, hey, what? She actually navigates by the sun. Yes, exactly. That's how she gets around. I try to look for the night star at night. So Garmin's turn into little monsters after midnight if they get wet. Yeah. Right? Is that the deal? They're furry. They can't eat after midnight. They can't eat after midnight. They don't get water on them. Don't get water on them. Ever. It helps me get around. GPS. It's like a tom-tom. It's like a tom-tom. I like to say it like that, by the way. Tom-tom. Whenever I do it, I say tom-tom. So thank God. Lauren is our assistant producer, and Lauren's doing something a little different today. Lauren is wearing glasses. Oh. Which we don't.
You guys, it looks like you have the same glasses on. I know. Yeah, great. It really does. Wow. Either mine are for women or hers are for men. You're wearing the same glasses. Mine are by a guy named Giorgio Armani. Oh, yeah. He goes to Milan to get his goods. Yeah, straight from Italy. Real nice. Real good. Those are fancy. I am not wearing Milan clothes. This is the ghetto portion of the show. Thank you. Let's see. Sienna is 24 years of age. Yes. And she does not get to pick the movie that we see today. I do. Next week. I'll explain to you what that's about in just a little bit. And Sienna is, she is our news girl. And she has a good time kidding around with all of us on and off the air. When she's around. That's right. Stop it. I'm always around. You took a little grief from the kid yesterday on that, didn't you? So I missed a couple outings. You know, there's a lot going on. Have you ever planned a wedding? No. It's exhausting. No. My wife did it. Yeah.
And that's probably what you're doing. That's what's going on with my situation, too. I thought your mom was a wedding planner. Yes. Thank goodness I have her. She's amazing. But Todd, he only wants to be involved in meeting with a band so that he tells them what music to play. And the bartender. It's the only thing. That's all he does. He trusts me with the bar. He knows I'll make it right. That's a girl. That's great. That's great. And the date that you're getting married? The 27th of this month. Oh, my goodness. I know. So soon. Way to think it through. I know. My friends are like, so you don't want a diet or anything? Like, oh, yeah, I had a nice donut when I walked in this morning. I haven't done anything. I'm like, I need to go to the gym. You're welcome. I haven't gone one time. Thanks, Jay. That was Jay that you just heard. Jay, well, you know, when we came to FM 94.9, it was not necessarily set up with all the microphones that we needed. And so Jay is in a separate studio. That's him. Is that Darth Vader? Yeah. Yeah, we hear him through that little thing. It's a strange noise. But that's how we hear Jay every day. Okay, 570-1949. And you can call about anything you want right now. We do open phones at the beginning of the show. And then also, if you want to text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. It's starting to feel good. The tide is starting to turn. We are getting more and more support.
um every day and what i'm really digging is that a lot of the uh 949 listeners that at first were a little shaky on us are now starting to come around and actually listened and said you know i had a perception of you that i didn't really uh that wasn't really accurate and uh had a percent like a lot of people associated me with the station that i came from right so they thought that i was all about rock music and you know that stuff and Boobs. Yeah. And that's not necessarily the deal. I like some rock music, but I like all kinds of music. Boy, don't we know it. You know what I like the most, I think, musically? My oldest brother, Mark, is like this, too. I like soundtracks. Hey, nothing wrong with a good soundtrack, man. There's some really good ones. Yeah. But I like the kind that are just the movie score. Just the movie score? No words? Really? I have a couple of those in my iPod. You do? Mm-hmm. Cool. Meet Joe Black has really nice. Yeah. I have those. Isn't the Goo Goo Dolls on that one? I don't know. Yes. It's really sad. I really do, though, and I think people must think that that's a little bit strange. But my taste in music has nothing to do with the station that I came from, although I like some of that music. Sure. I like some of the music that they play here. I like some of the music that they play on country stations. I like a little bit of everything.
And so it's just a little bit about me. I'm a strange person. Just so you know. I'm letting people know that right from the very beginning so that there's no confusion. Let's see. We got so many things to talk about. So many things to talk about. The parents. of the kids in haiti got the kids back they're getting them back yeah they're right now on their way to the village where the children are nice and they're going to reclaim their kids now not all of the kids have parents that have been found or who have come forward but the majority of them have really um and you know what they say is this baptist group that have that took the kids and tried to take them across the border. Apparently the kids were not well-dressed. They were found dehydrated and in need of medical assistance. So it's just looking worse and worse for these Americans who are held over there. After they were with this Baptist group, they were found that way? That's terrible. It's awful, man. It's awful. That's terrible. And I can't believe that the, you know, I don't want to believe that the Baptist group was doing anything purposefully to hurt anybody or anything like that.
That'd be hard to imagine. It would be. And I don't think that's the deal. I just think the whole thing is sad. They shouldn't have taken those kids. Yeah, the kids were very traumatized, as you can imagine, in the beginning because they didn't know where their parents were. They just saw a huge tragedy, you know. And I guess a lot of the kids were openly saying, we have parents, we have parents. But, you know, to the Americans' defense, they didn't know. Well, they didn't know if the parents were alive or not. Right. Yeah, they don't speak Asian. Sorry. You know, they might try getting an interpreter, you know, that somebody could say, hey, what is he saying? It might be important. I'm sure one of them knew. Might be really important for us to know. Let's see. What else we got going on? Oh, the Oscars were announced. Oh, yes. My brother sent me a text message like the minute after they were announced saying that up. is nominated for Best Picture. And this is only the second time an animated feature has been nominated for Best Picture. And the first one was Beauty and the Beast in 1991. Wow. So this is a huge deal. And you guys have seen Up, right? No, of course not. Absolutely not. I'm... I won't. I'm upset. I'll tell you why I won't watch it. You won't watch it? You have kids. I know, but I won't watch it. Why? I'll explain. Maybe you'll have mercy once I explain. Let's hear it. Well, number one...
I don't, I'm not a really big fan of cartoons. No, just got the thumbs up. Just got the thumbs up from my friend Woodsy. Just got the thumbs up from him. So, thank you. So, I'm not really a big fan of cartoons. Neither am I, but this is out of that element. It's amazing. Then, the other reason that I won't see it is because people have told me that it's really sad. It is. In the beginning. I was crying within the first, like, five minutes. Oh, forget it. That's exactly what I heard from Jesse this morning. I don't want to cry. I don't either. Because you know me, I'll cry at the drop of a hat. Yeah. Everyone loves a good cry. Come on. Well, not everybody. Some people actually really detest a good cry. No. I'm really turned off by a good cry. It feels good. It feels hurtful. You're relaxed after. You're feeling good. Really? Yeah. Do you want to know some of the other Best Picture nominees? I actually think I have audio of them making the announcement. Oh, cool. Let's take a listen.
And finally, I'm pleased to announce that the 10 films selected as Best Picture nominees for 2009 are Avatar, James Cameron and John Landau producers, The Blind Side nominees to be determined, District 9, Peter Jackson and Carolyn Cunningham. That's been nominated for Best Picture? The Blind Side? Oh, I thought she said District 9. She did. Oh, yeah, she did. District 9 is nominated for Best Picture. Best Picture, yeah. I thought so, too. I thought it was just kind of dorky. You know? I thought it looked really cool in some parts. Like, it looked very realistic. Like, the spaceship looked all realistic. But it was just kind of goofy. It was so predictable, too. It did, though. The spaceship looked realistic. The spaceship looked realistic. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it actually did. Did you see? Those aliens were dead on. Dead on. They were like the most realistic aliens I think I've ever seen in my life. As far as you know. That's right. Well, you'd have to see it, though. And I just thought that the other stuff was goofy. I'm like, I'm watching a cartoon with this, too. Oh, look at that. I don't even know what that movie is, District 9. It's about a spaceship. Yeah, no, some of these I've never even heard of. All right, here, let's hear some more. And education.
Vanola Dwyer and Amanda Posey, producers. The Hurt Locker, nominees to be determined. Somebody said that's great, The Hurt Locker. I don't even know what it's about. A bunch of people have actually said it. Lauren, maybe you were one of the people that said it. Probably. I was told by somebody if there was one movie I saw in 2010 on video to see that one. You really liked it? Yeah. It's a plot. I mean, generally, it's about the roadside bombs. Over in... Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, I think it's Afghanistan. Okay. Yeah, I think it's Afghanistan. All right. That sounds a little sad, too, though. Yeah, but it's very realistic, and it's, um... I like it. All right. Let's hear some more. Inglorious Bastards, Lawrence Bender, producer. Good movie. Didn't finish watching it, though. Good movie. Not done with it. Brad Pitt. Precious. Lee Daniels, Sarah Siegel, Magnus, and... Precious is with... I can't wait to see them. Shame gum, I think. Mariah Carey. Precious. No, Precious is Mariah Carey. Yeah. And I've heard great things about that, too. Also, it sounds kind of depressing, though. Really? The sad movies sometimes are tough ones. They always make it on the list. People love the things. Breakout performance for the main girl. A serious... For who? Which one? The main girl? Yeah, I don't know her name, but they found her in a high school. Yeah.
Her mother is a subway singer, and so her mother's in the movie. I think she has, like, a really small appearance. I love stories like that. I do, too, man. They scoured the country looking for somebody, because it had to be someone who was very obese. Oh, really? Yeah. It was a big girl. I did not audition. Joel Cohen and Ethan Cohen, producers. Up, Jonas Rivera, producer. And up in the air, Daniel DiBiochi. Ivan Reitman and Jason Reitman, producers. I saw Up in the Air, and I didn't necessarily think to myself, wow, best picture, but to each their own. That's a George Clooney movie, right? Yep. A little depressing on that one, too. Yeah. Sounds like a little bit of these are a little depressing this year. It's been a bit, you know, 2009 was a pretty depressing year for a lot of people. Yeah. We have a lot of people on hold right now. Welcome. It's the Mikey Show. And we got a lot of stuff to get to. Packed. I know it.
I know it. We could stay on today until 3 in the afternoon. Probably longer. I think we should. We actually should have done the 28-hour show today. I know it, right? With what we have. Exactly. Okay, now, I don't want this to spoil anything for anybody. I really don't. I mean, I can already tell that Sienna's freaking out. I'm freaking out. She's wigging out. I don't want her to freak out or anything, but last night was the premiere of the TV show Lost. You're wedsy. I love it. I know a lot of people do. Dude, people flipping out about it last night. Yeah. People love Lost. And so I said to Sienna, Sienna, there's some really cool things that happened on Lost last night. And Jay got me a couple of clips. Do you know which ones of these would really make people stoked? And she's like, I don't want to see them. I DVR'd it. We wake up early. I couldn't stay on that.
So she didn't know, and she doesn't know. She doesn't want it to be ruined. You totally ruined it for her, too, going over these. He said, would this be big? And the first one he said, I almost fell to my knees and started crying. This is the biggest thing I've ever heard. She said, that's huge. Yeah, she did. She's totally bummed out. So I'm going to play for you what Locke revealed last night. I'm sorry. So sorry. There's so much happening. I'm sorry you had to see me like that. He revealed that he is the smoke monster. I don't know how that's possible. I need to watch this. I need to analyze it. I need to maybe watch it a few times because I don't know how that's possible. The smoke monster, Woods, stop rolling your eyes.
Stop looking at the ceiling. This is really, really interesting. I'm speechless right now. The smoke monster is something that's been a huge mystery for the entire time Lost has been on, all the last five seasons. And everyone's like, what is this thing? It's literally a smoke monster, grabs people, pulls people into, like, caves. Look at what's... It's emotionless. Just looking at staring at you, emotionless. He's staring with his mouth open. Just staring. I'm just... Seriously. What's your favorite show? I just don't get it. What's your favorite show? The Office. That's right. Seinfeld. I can't really make fun of that. You can't because it's a great show. Arrested Development. Yeah, The Office is not what it used to be. That's crazy. Lost, excuse me. If you have been watching Lost since day one, you're hooked. You are hooked. It's just, I don't know.
There's like all kinds of secret stuff that you got to know. I'm sorry you're not intelligent enough to follow. You need a decoder ring to follow. You do. You need a decoder ring. You don't because I follow. And I'm 35. You're not 35. Almost. You want to be 35? I do. Why? I don't know. I think that Lost is the perfect name for the show because that's what I am. I'm lost. 100%. Because you haven't followed from day one. Yeah. And I don't want to have to tune in to something every single week. Or like. Everybody will be talking about it, and I'll miss it. I don't like the things that really everybody is just obsessed with. I agree. American Idol, Dancing with the Stars. I agree. That is a downfall to the show. I will give you that because it is hard. You can't miss an episode. It's kind of stressful. I didn't miss an episode, but one day they're on the island. Next day they're off the island. It makes no sense. Two months back, somebody's alive, now they're dead again. What? It's so complicated. It is a great brain workout, okay? 5-7-0. 105.3. If I want to work. Excuse me. 5701949. I'm going to say that. I'm sorry. I just want to apologize. I've worked at a place for 14 years, so I do that occasionally. It's muscle memory. Yeah. 5701949.949mikey at gmail.com if you want to text us. Okay. Let's do the movie thing. Let's do the movies.
I've been all night thinking about, what is Mikey going to pick? I have no idea. We did it purposefully this way. We would just do it on the air. I don't even know what half of those even mean. Yeah, half the movies. All right, so. And you can pick anything you want. And we have to go. We got to go. No, there's no vote. All right. All right, here are the movies that I have to pick from. Alvin and the Chipmunks. The Squeakquel. I want to see it. I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. That was a joke, actually. Avatar 3D. Oh, God. So long. I'm like, oh, God. Mike's already seen it, haven't you? I think we may be good. What's that? You're reading the wrong number. I know, I know. I just, I apologized profusely. Jay, our producer, just said, dude, you said the wrong number on the air. I said, I know, I'm really sorry. Please forgive me. He knows not what he does. I mean, there are people that are so upset, and I am really sorry. I don't mean to be a, I mean, I'm working.
On this, okay? Nobody's perfect, pal. Thank you. Avatar 3D. I've seen it. Yes. Thank God. The Blind Side. The Book of Eli. The Blind Side's still out? Yep. Just got nominated for an Oscar. Daybreakers. Edge of Darkness. Extraordinary Measures. It's Complicated. Legion. The Lovely Bones. Sherlock Holmes. The Spy Next Door. To Save a Life. The Tooth Fairy. Oh, let's do The Tooth Fairy. Up in the Air, When in Rome, Youth in Revolt. Genius movie, by the way. Youth in Revolt, yeah. And we're going to go see it when it's my pick. Again. Again? Hopefully it will be out of the theater. Sorry it's not made in Manhattan. A lot of people have been writing me emails because they know that I'm big into my faith. And so they've been saying, what's your take on the book of Eli? What's your take on the book of Eli?
And all I know about the book of Eli is it's a futuristic movie where, oh, look at that. Already Woodsy is falling asleep with that. Really? I haven't slept in like three days, so that'll be perfect. Gary Oldman, Denzel Washington. It's your choice. We have no say. Gary Oldman's a bad guy. And apparently Denzel Washington, it's the end times. There's been like nuclear war. The book of Eli it is. Oh, wow. Are you serious? Just like that. Well, I haven't gotten any sleep in a while, so it would be nice to catch up on my Z's. I may hate it. You don't have to decide right now. I don't? No, you do. This is the deal. It's done. We have the rest of the day. He can think about it. Back away. Why are you smelling your armpits? I didn't remember if I put deodorant on, but I did. Thank you. Where's your t-shirt?
KOL. KOL. Is that a band? Yeah, it is. Kings of Leon. Oh, that's how they do it? That's how they roll? I thought you were just trying to be cool. There'd need to be another O and a C in front of it. I was trying to be cool. Can we talk about... You know what I want to talk about? What? And phone calls. We've got a lot of phone calls coming in, so we're going to be doing this bromance thing. We've been talking about the bromance thing. Very nervous, by the way. You are? Yes. About making a friend? You should be excited. We're going to have Woods meet a guy and, you know, and in a totally straight way become friends with him. Forced friendship. I feel like I'm joining a fraternity again. Please be my friend. You be my friend. And so we have people that were, you know, that heard us talking about it. And you guys will do, we'll send you out on a bromance date, which is just like. You just going to give us your credit card? Cool guy stuff. Uh-uh. Nah. I'm trying to get all the money from Mike. I'm going to. Sanjaya. Good morning, San Diego. Listen to him. Sanjaya. He sounds just like Sanjaya. That's amazing. That's awesome. How you doing, buddy? What's up, brother? Not too much, dude. How are you? Pretty good, dude. Welcome back, dude. I feel like I'm addicted all over again. Oh, that's awesome, man. That's awesome, man. I'm doing good, dude. So what do you think? Would you be a good bromance partner for our boy Woods?
I'm like a bromancer, bro. That's right. A bromancer, bro. Yeah. Let me tell you, dude, I got a bunch of guys, man, that are my bromancers over here. I mean, some of them might get jealous, but whatever. Here's what you have to know about Sanjaya. He can do that voice. Like, do it again, Sanjaya. Good morning, San Diego. I got to describe Sanjaya to you. Sanjaya, he looks like Vin Diesel. There's a few dudes that he looks like. He looks like Vin Diesel. He looks like the UFC fighter Brandon Vera. Who else do they tell you that you look like? Daughtry. I've never heard Daughtry, but okay, maybe. Who else do you look like, Sanjaya? Oh, man, any freaking dude out there with a shaved head. Yeah. But he also, no, he's much better looking than I am. He looks like, are you Mexican, Sanjaya?
Yeah. He looks like kind of a... He's got tattoos, you know. He's Mikey. He's like a taller Mikey. No, no, no. People could mix it up with me and kill me in a second. I wouldn't want to mix it up with Sanjaya. I mean, dude looks tough. You know what I mean? Nice. I need a tough, like... It's a good solid wingman right there. I need a good solid wingman. That's right. The thing about me is I look tough, but I'm really not. Really? Yeah, that's me too. It's half the battle though, dude. Just looking tough. I'm a lover, not a fighter. Sanjaya, what will you bring to the table, though? Why are you better than any other guy for a bromance? Dude, I'm freaking fun to hang out with. We can hold a good conversation together. I can take this guy out in town, show him a good time. We can watch the sunset go down. Oh, wow, that's gorgeous. We can grab a bite to eat after. When you go to a bar, do you drink, first of all? No, not really. Okay. Actually, what I was thinking, there's this place called, which I think would be cool for Woodsy over here. It's called the Turf Club. You guys heard of it? Oh, I love that place. Yeah, the Turf Club. The horse races? No, it's down in what? Not North Park. It's right off of like 30th Street and C. It's a place where you, it's a small place. They have a bar and on the other side, it's a little like an eating place, like a little restaurant. You cook your own steaks.
Cook your own steaks, cook your own burgers, whatever. Sounds good. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That sounds great. You win. My treat, dude. That's huge, dude. It sounds gay. No, it sounds great. It sounds like, you know, it sounds like you guys will have a good time together. I think we will, man. That'll be cool. It's, you know, moving to a new city, you got to, you know, it's hard to meet people, man. There you go. Yeah, that place is fun, dude. It's kind of like rockabilly style kind of place, you know? Yeah, very much. Yeah, it's pretty cool, though. All right, Sanjaya, we'll work out the details and get you all ready to do this thing, man. Right on, brother. All right, dude. Looking forward to it, man. AJ, do I need him to hang on the line, or are we good to go? I got his stuff. Okay, cool. Thanks, Sanjaya. Later. You're welcome back, brother. I love you guys. Thank you, dude. Love you, man. Burn to shine. Hey, what do you think the Jets head coach, Rex Ryan, did at a MMA event that got him fined $50,000? Sanjaya. Well, I'll tell you. Woodsy will tell you. Next. I'm 94.9. Pete, open up!

Escondido's kind of tied up here, too, on that 15 southbound between Valley Parkway, Center City Parkway. Traffic is in the lower 40s. An important message for Toyota owners, there's been a lot of people wondering about the Toyota recalls. Well, to get the facts and... all the latest information, please visit toyota.com. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. Back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. What are you doing? I'm giving you cash. It's a Mikey Show, which you can call, by the way, just by picking up your phone and dialing 570-1949. Very easy. We'd love to talk to you and get you on the radio. 570-1949. 94.9. And the other thing is the text. You can always text us. Very easy to text us here. 949mikey at gmail.com. So the Jets head coach has done something that has got him in quite a bit of trouble. And Woodsy, what is that? You know, the other day we talked about Herschel Walker at the MMA fight. Right.
He's fighting MMA, Hershel Walker. And he won. He won that match. But what kind of stole the show that night was Rex Ryan, who you Chargers fans know and loathe, I imagine. So I got some audio of it. Of what actually happened? Of what happened. It's on page two. Oh, page two. Of your array. Oh, I love it. I love it. Coach of the Jets was at the MMA event on Saturday night. There's a stunner. Here in South Florida. That's where Herschel Walker actually fought and won. And he won, yeah. But anyway, Rex Ryan, the coach of the Jets, is there. And so they do an interview with him in the arena. And it's sort of... put up on the screen in there. Right, he's on the big screen. So there's a lot of fans there of the Dolphins, of course. And the Dolphin fans start booing him like crazy. And so Rex Ryan says, I just want to tell everyone in Miami we're coming to beat you twice next year. Right. Which is all well and good. Sure. But then clearly he takes it a step too far. He gave, basically gave the whole fans the finger. He flipped them off.
Oh, wow. So they come up to him. They come up to Chubbs with the live mic. And they put it in his face. And, you know, he's in Miami. Right. And so he's like, well, listen, you know, we got you once this year. We're going to come back and we're going to get you twice next year. Right. And the whole place just erupted with, you know, boos and hissing. And so he just reaches up. Gives a finger. Yeah, makes it right. It's $50,000. $50,000, dude. That's a lot of money. That's a lot of jack. Now, he might have that in his couch because he's a head football coach. He's probably got sandwiches in his couch, but I don't know if he's got 50K. That's a lot of money. Meatballs. That's a lot of money. What else going on? Man, today is a really big day in college football. Today is National Signing Day. So all of those kids around the country that have been getting recruited, they're making their choices today. And, of course, they do it for a full year, but they change their mind. They decommit. They commit. So today is the day where. I didn't know they did that. I thought once you said you're going somewhere, you've got to go. Dude, college football is a year-round sport now. I mean, it just doesn't. And these coaches, I mean, that's all they do is recruit, recruit, then game, film, and coach. So it's a year-round deal now, and it's getting crazy. There's a guy out of St. Paul, Minnesota, his name is Sean Trail Henderson. He's kind of the – him and another guy are tied for one and two. The number one guy, Ronald Powell, has already committed to Florida. Imagine that.
But this guy's going to be making his decision today. I'm happy to say that the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in the mix. But I'm going to guess he's going to go to either USC or Florida like everybody does. Yeah, so National Signing Day today. Stay tuned. I can let you guys know later if we hear anything. Yeah. Also. Peyton Manning, as you guys know, will be the starting quarterback for the Colts in the Super Bowl this weekend. Right. And his owner has come out and said they are going to break the bank on his next contract. Really? Yeah, just came flat out and said. So I was trying to think about this morning, the strategy. Is that motivating to him or is that going to distract him in the Super Bowl? What do you think? I think if you say that, you show a lot of confidence in your guy and you let your guy know that. He's your guy, and not only is he your guy, but you're going to make it right. That's huge. I think so, too, dude. I think that's probably a good move. Yeah, I do, too. So he signed a deal in 2004 for $99.2 million for seven years. Holy cow. And he's 33 now. He's a year younger than the kid. Really? Yeah. And so they want to sign him up for another probably five to six. Are you ready for some football? Apparently.
Was that W? Yeah, it was. It was. So they are going to break the bank for Peyton, man, which is, you know, hey, the guy deserves it probably more than anybody in the NFL. He's the best quarterback in the NFL. He's huge. He's absolutely huge. And really, man, right now, I want to save my Dwight Freeney audio for later because it's that good. All right. It's that good. We'll do that in just a bit. Speaking of Woodsy. I had an interesting day. Yeah, a very interesting day yesterday. Woodsy was over at Fashion Valley Mall walking around looking for some stuff. Yep. Guy's got a new apartment with nothing in it. Yep. So you were walking around looking for some stuff and noticed some interesting people as you were walking around. I did, dude, and it really got me thinking back to the day. I saw a couple guys walking around, probably 15, 16, just giant. splotches of hickeys all over their neck. Oh, gosh. Yeah, hickeys. Like purple. So I guess they still do that. Yeah, they do. That's the thing to do when you're young. Hickeys still? Still. I never was in them. When you're young. Yeah, I don't think I ever was. It's like proving, oh, yeah, I got some action. Is that what it's, because I was sitting there, so that's the way my brain works now, is I'm like, I got to talk to everybody about this because I don't see the point of it.
Wait a minute, I just, when I was a sophomore, I wanted this girl to give me a hickey because I was, you know, fat and unattractive. And I remember thinking that if I got a hickey, it would make people think, oh, look, you know, he's somehow desirable. And so I do remember wanting a hickey. I think everyone thinks something like that. Is that why they want that? Because I'll tell you what, it doesn't feel good. No. I can think of a lot of other things that are better. And it's ugly. It's ugly and you got to hide it from your parents, which is I remember being I was like 14 and I had one. I was sick. I like roll neck sweaters in the middle of June. You know, I remember I had one and I just forgot about it and rocked it. And my mom was like, what is that? And I don't remember. I don't remember what I said. And she like bought it. That's my birthmark. Can I ask if there's any woman in the world? That's ever burned themselves with a curling iron. Yes. On your throat. And it's looked like a hickey. That's probably what I said. It doesn't look like a hickey. It doesn't look like one. But that's what every girl says. It is the best excuse. Can you think of something better? I think that's what I told my dad. He didn't buy it. Dad, I burnt myself with a curling iron. He didn't buy it. You have a shaved head. Yeah. You know what, Dad? Sorry. Sorry. I got hit with a baseball on my neck. It's like a badge of disgust. It is. Disgusting. Badge of filth.
It's filthy. They just feel cool. They're like. And no, but it wasn't like one little one that was like fading away. It was like bam, bam, bam, bam all over his neck. It's so gross. 570. Maybe he was a leper. 570-1949. Now you feel bad. Yeah, now I feel bad. 570-1949. I want to know what your take is on hickeys. I want to know what your memories are of hickeys. Have you ever woken up after a night at the bar recently? And had a hickey. No. And if you did, what did you do? You were so bummed. Oh, my God. What would you do? Past the age of 16, 15. 15, 16, 15. I'm going to say 15. Yeah, because you have your license when you're 16. It's not acceptable. You can do a lot more. It's gross. Get a car. Once you have a car, you can do a lot more. You can do a lot more. You're not making out in basements anymore, okay? It's the grossest thing. It's so gross. I don't get it. 5701053 or 570... Sorry. 570-1949. You know what we should do is I should stop saying it. I should just have a recording of me on 570-1949. No, you have to learn to. Yeah. You have to figure it out. It's okay. It's going to take a little while. People understand. Old habits, brother. I know. I remember at one time I was on on these different radio stations where my show was being put on in different markets.
And I would do that every once in a while. Call that syndication. Yeah. Is that what it's called? That's what it's called. And oh my goodness, would I get in trouble for that? I really got in trouble for that. Ashley is on the line. Hi, Ashley. Hi. I had a story about a hickey. It wasn't actually mine. I had a friend that was married and we went to a party and she got really drunk and made out with a guy. and she had me burn her neck with a curling iron the next day to cover it up. That's what I would do. Wow. And you did it? I did it. That way you don't have to lie. You're a sadist. How old was this girl? Oh, gosh, how old were we? 25, 26? Wow. What 25 or 26-year-old dude gives a hickey? Maybe she was making out with a 16-year-old. Yeah, she didn't know it. I don't remember. I don't remember how old the guy was, but I do remember standing there for a good two or three minutes, willing myself up to actually burn her. Absolutely. It was hard. Oh, God. Oh, it was bad. Did it sizzle? Yeah. It sizzled. I burned myself in it before on accident. It doesn't look like a hickey, though, does it? But for her, she had to hold it on there.
Oh, that's... Once you burn the skin, pretty much, I mean, the skin bubbled over. Oh, my God. Did her husband ever find out or did anything happen? He eventually found out, but not because of that. Oh, see, because that way she doesn't have to lie. She can say, I burned myself with a curling iron. That's the reason she shouldn't be messing around this way. That's true. All right, thank you for the call, Ashley. That was awesome. You're welcome. We appreciate it. Okay, so I have a... somewhat official thing to tell you. After everything that was going on yesterday on p1site.com, with all the folks kind of wondering like, well, what are we going to do? What are we going to do in terms of calling ourselves, we can't call ourselves P1s. The lawyer said we can't call ourselves P1s. So we got to come up with something different. Well, after a lot of people talking about it, P1site.com has determined that it should be M1. So it's going to be M1. Very nice. And what does that stand for? I guess Mikey 1, I guess. But there's talk of militia. Well, here's the deal. The deal now is what will the community be called?
You know, what will the community call itself? Got to have another vote, Danny. Yeah, yeah. Well, there's going to be an official vote on MikeyShow.com. Huge. We're going to do an official vote on MikeyShow.com. And it's going to be really awesome. What you'll be able to do as soon as we can get this thing going is you will be able to go there and you'll be able to vote on, I think, four different deals of what you would want it to be. There's like Mikey, there's M1 Militia. There's M1 Tribe. No, Delicious Soldier's not there. That's out? Yeah, it's out. We're the Delicious Soldiers. Yeah, these are the top ones. M1 Militia, M1 Insiders, M1 Nation, and M1 Tribe. And so pretty soon we're going to have it so that you can vote on MikeyShow.com, and we'll make it official. If you go to MikeyShow.com right now, you can watch us on a webcam because we have a thing that says Watch Live. where you can actually watch us on MikeyShow.com, all members of The Mikey Show. And I have to, I'm so late, so I really have to. Jay is panicking. Yeah, he's panicking. He's a dude right now. He's not around sweating. You've got to get off, man. Shooter's not in there, but he won't fit on the bed. Oh, Shooter. Just so you know, Woodsy, even as we speak, has a giant dip of Copenhagen and he's been spitting into a bottle for the last hour. And if you go to MikeyShow.com, And see the dogs. I'll give you the order from left to right. It's Sonny, Savannah, Lucky, and Penny Bell. How can you tell them apart? Because they're my children. Do you ever mix up the names? Never. Never. Like Sonny Bell. I mean Penny. I mean Shooter. Never. Of course not. Never. Those are your kids. That's right. Lucky kind of looks like Chewbacca. Yeah, he has, without a doubt, the worst breath in the world. It's easy to mix up your kids' names, though, when you have a bunch. Like, Mikey, you probably say, Jake, I mean, Luke, I mean, Ryan. I haven't done that yet, but my parents did it all the time because I have three older brothers. Oh, yeah, I'm one of four. My dad constantly, he takes them four times to remember me. I never do, man. We never do. Your parents never mix up your names? My mom did. I got called, like, my brother's names. You did? Yeah. Taylor, I mean.
Avalon. Avalon. Waverly. Sienna. Sienna. That's it. Sienna's siblings' names are Waverly, Avalon, and Taylor. Yeah. My mom claims Taylor used to be unique back in the day. They're awesome, too. They're awesome. I met them briefly. Lauren, your parents do it, too? Oh, yeah. They call you your brother's names? My brother's names. My mom has, like... Brothers and sisters, sometimes she calls me by their names. My mom, I'm Steve, and my brother's Brent, and it was Steve, Brent, always. Brent, always. Yeah, the dogs are up. They're amazing. I can't wait to see them. Jamie's coming to visit in a few weeks. She's bringing two of them. She's bringing... Jamie is Wood's wife. He's back in Dallas. Yeah, we had a talk about it last night. And I said, you're lucky I'm not making you bring all four of them because I really want to see them all. But we're going to take... You said you have five dogs. Well, we do. But Shooter's not going to travel. He's big. So I said, you have to bring the originals. And that's what we call Penny and Lucky. They're the originals. The first two. And they had puppies together, by the way, that Jamie's sister now has.
Really? Yeah. You guys are a little too dog intense. Well, you know, do what you got to do. So the Oscar nominees were announced yesterday, and they asked Joe Biden, hey, Joe, do you have a favorite? First of all, Joe, can you remember movies or anything? As a matter of fact, we do. And I think one of the odds-on favorites, Jill didn't go with me, but... Go ahead. What is it? This... Yes, totally. Oh, my God. Right, yeah. Say it. New program that I looked at. New program. And he stood. Say it. I love the program. Burning of time while thinking of it in 3D. Say it. And you sit there and you watch this. You sit in a chair in the movie theater. That's usually what you do when you go see a movie. Yes, and you're looking at a screen as the projected image is rolling in front of you as you watch it. You pay to get in. You pay to get in. You can buy your tickets online. He remembers Fandango, but he can't remember Avatar. It is fiction.
thing unfold in front of you, I think. Avatar? Avatar. Right, right, yeah. The magic of it is kind of overwhelming. Why did she give it to him? I know. He would have gone on for 15 more minutes. He'd be like, you know, the aliens, blue, ooh, aye. Like password. It was like playing password for somebody. Amazing. I want to hear it again. As a matter of fact, we do. Say it. I think the... Which one? You haven't answered the question. Say it. This new program that I looked at it and wished I was seeing it in 3D. And you sit there and you watch this science fiction thing unfold in front of you. Say it. The magic of it is kind of overwhelming. Yes. It's overwhelming magic. That was amazing. First of all, I disagree with that. I don't know that the magic of it is sort of overwhelming. I'm going to need that burned under a CD so I can get that in my car later. I want that to be my new ringtone. Absolutely. To drive people crazy. Exactly. Let's see. So Congress announced something that made us all feel really warm and fuzzy yesterday.
And that is that they believe that al-Qaeda is likely to attempt an attack on the U.S. soon. Yes, they're saying that they expect some kind of attempt in the next three to six months. That's what the senior U.S. intelligence officials told Congress yesterday. Really? Mm-hmm. Did they say why they believe that? The terrorist organization is sending operatives to carry out new attacks, including ones... who don't have much of a trail. Basically, they're saying that they think there's a lone wolf out there, some guy on his own, and that's what the biggest fear is. They said it's nothing that's going to be 9-11 related at all, so people don't worry. But you know what? I don't even know if I should say it. Whatever you're going to say is going to be scandalous, and it's going to make me worry. I just think that there's... They're just wanting to say it so that they are trying to show us that they're being preventative. Yeah. We've got to find these guys, man. You know what I mean? Like, really? You know, I don't know why else they would say that. We've got to smoke these guys out. Maybe we need the smoke monster. Get Locke over here. We need him, whoever Locke is. I'm so upset. We need the smoke monster. I can't believe I didn't watch it. Now I know that. Yeah, well, it comes on too late.
Lost. I know. I have to get up at 3 o'clock in the morning. What time does it come on? 9. 570-1949-textus-949mikey at gmail.com. So, Woodsy was talking to Sienna yesterday. Oh, my God. Woodsy was talking to Sienna on the phone? On the phone. Yeah, he gives me a nice little ring. Mm-hmm. Afternoon? Yeah, I checked in on both the girls yesterday. Just say, hey, what's going on? That's how I do, man. Yeah. Woods calls all the time. He does the daily check-in. I'm a team guy, dude. That's what I do. Yeah. I'll get texts from him. My text to you yesterday. Text me. I talked to Jay. Actually, I talked to everybody. You did? Yeah. My phone rings, and it's Woodsy, and I'm in the car just driving along. With Todd. With Todd. He's in the car. UJ, as I call him now. UJ, Uncle Joey. Let's call him UJ. UJ. I immediately thought Ugg. And I was like, why is he Ugg? I'm calling him Ugg. But it's not G. I thought, you know. Santa's fiance looks like Uncle Joey. But much more handsome. And way cooler than that dude. Super. Way cooler. So what did he say? So he gives me a call. And we're just, you know.
How's your day? It's going good. Yeah, I'm going to do a little bit today. I asked him to go in with me and help. And he's like, absolutely. And within the first minute, I hear Woods go, uh-oh, uh-oh, hold on. Puts the phone down. And I hear... Screaming. Screaming in Woods' face. Really? Screaming. And I'm sitting here like... And then the phone goes... No, no. Hangs up. I was sitting at a light and I was talking to Sienna on my phone. Right. And my window was down. Beautiful San Diego afternoon. He was driving around learning the area. I was learning my new neighborhood. Yeah. And I see a police officer approach my window. One of California's finest. On foot. No. No. He was parked in his car. Yes. We were stopped at a light. We were stopped at a light. The cop got out of his car to approach Woods. Didn't just roll down the window yell. He got out of his car. Came up to his door. Tried to rip the door open.
My door was locked. He was trying to open. He tried to open the door. Wow. And I go, whoa, easy. Easy, pal. I thought he says it. I did. I go, easy, pal. And he goes, get off your phone. This is, you are not allowed. I'm breaking the glass. Yeah. Because you are not allowed to talk on your cell phone in the state of California. I said, I'm sorry, pal. I had no idea. And the guy. I hope you didn't call him pal, you know, because cops really like to be called pal. Buddy, dude. But it was, my heart was racing. And it's official that I have, I get caught for everything. I will be, from now on, sitting in my apartment. If anybody needs me, that's where I'll be. At least you had the Texas plates, though. Oh, yeah, and he, it was, I'm getting California plates, like, tomorrow. I'm going to get a new license. What's so funny is... Sore thumb, dude. He hangs up on me, and I'm thinking, what is going on? I'm like, Todd. I was talking to Woods. He said, what, you're already off the phone? I said, no, he hung up on me. Didn't you hear? He said, I heard someone yelling. And I said, I was a cop. I was a cop. You're like, I don't know if he's drowning. I don't know what's going on. I didn't know what was going on. You'd be getting carjacked for all I know. Exactly. Dude. Then Woods calls me back like a minute later, back on the phone. I'm just never leaving my house. This is why Mikey did not want to bring me here. He was scared to death. I could go for everything. Just get the Bluetooth.
Well, check this out. It's official. We have the studio version of that dude, Larry Platt. He's officially recorded in the studio. Pants on the ground. Pants on the ground. From American Idol. That is from a girl.
Weird. It's M1 Sundance. Thanks, Sundance. That's right. You're an angel. Could be a guy. You never know. You never know. You never know who Sundance is. Sundance is very ambiguous. It is. It really is. No Sundance. Okay, let's see. Okay, so I got this email that I'm going to do for you. But first, the studio version of Pants on the Ground. You ready? Yes. Sounds like Rocky. It does, right? Yeah. I don't like it, dude. You don't like it? No, it's too tricked up. I like the old school version. The demo? Yeah, the demo. I like the demo. I like the acoustic. They can't play that in the club. That's true. Can't play that in the club. Can't do acapella in the club. That's enough of that. I like that. I thought maybe you would.
That's what I wanted to do, just in case people were digging it. But I want to see what people think of this. Mikey, I would love some advice on this. You can call in, 570-1949. Mikey, love some advice on this. Last week, I went on a first date with a guy I met at the gym, and he took me out to this really nice restaurant. We actually had great chemistry right from the very start, and we seemed to be hitting it off. Then the bill came, and he pulled out a coupon. She was out with my dad. Would your dad do that? Yeah. I love you, dad. On a first date? I love you, I love you, I love you. But your dad would do that? 100%. And you're being inappropriate. That's completely inappropriate, as me. There's no question that's inappropriate. It says... It's just too early. It's way early, dude. I was really surprised and honestly embarrassed by the whole scene. I mean, really? Are you seriously going to bust out a coupon on the first date? My girlfriends think it's not that big of a deal, and I think I should see him again.
Help me out, guys. What do you think? M1 coupon queen. She could see him, and she's got to call him out on it. Got to. Got to call him out. You would say something then? Yes. What would you say, Lauren, if it happened right in front of you? If it happened right in front of me, I probably wouldn't say something right away because you got to feel it out. But maybe on the next phone call or the next date we went on, I would say, like, you got a coupon for this one, too? Oh, wow. Oh, yes. I would say something right away. Would you? Oh, really? Really? Is that a coupon? Would you really? Nice. I like that approach. You're like, maybe we should just go Dutch. You know, want me to just cover the bill? I got this. I got it. Is this a problem? Dude, your first date with a girl, you really need to pull out all the stops. I mean, you never get a first chance. What is it? You only get one shot at a first impression. Thanks, Eminem. Thank you. That's right. You know what? I would just sneak away and go to the red street straight away. Yes, exactly. If you're going to do it, you got to do it. Funds are tight. Then you do that. How many?
Excuse myself, go to the restroom. Hey, dude, throw this on the bill. Yeah, give it to the waitress on the sly. Nothing wrong with that. No, you don't even do it. Well, if you're going to do it, don't get caught is my deal there. Yeah, if you're going to do it, don't whip it out of your wallet. Yes. I've been waiting for this all night. Yeah. I can't wait to show you my coupon. I know. Unbelievable. I found it in the reader. Yeah. What do you think? My wife said there's nothing wrong with it whatsoever. Are they at Applebee's? Like two for 20? I don't get it. No, she's at a nice restaurant. My wife Rebecca goes, what do you care? If that's who he is, then he's going to do it anyway. I said, babe, it's a first time. That's probably why that dude goes on a lot of first dates. Oh, I guarantee you. A lot of people would think it's fine. They would think, oh, that's actually really smart. I just think it's not. It's not. It's not. It's not. It's the worst. It's the worst. That's bad. 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. You know, you could have just taken me to McDonald's. Yeah, fair enough. The dollar menu. Yeah, I want to go there next time.
What if you're the type of person, though, that says, listen, I'm going to be the genuine me right from the very beginning. Why should I hide anything from you? Why should I hide from you who I am? I'm a cheapskate. Well, you're not a cheapskate if you use a coupon while you're married to somebody, right? No. No. I will say if he was clever and put that little caveat and was like, look, funds are tight, but I really wanted to go out with you. That's good. I've been dying to try this place. Uh-huh. And I won this at work. Yeah, something. And then like. Or maybe even say it in the beginning, and because I have this coupon, let's pick out a really nice bottle of wine or something. I don't know. But if there was some sort of caveat to it, then I would probably be like, okay. He should have said something right from the go. Like, just so you know when they're in the car. Just so you know, I got a coupon to this place. Really? And I'm not afraid to use it. And I am using it. I got a coupon for this place, and I'm not afraid to use it. Sense of humor goes a long way. Sure. Which is why, like, if he didn't say something and then he pulled it out at the last minute and I would be like, really? A coupon? If he were to be able to laugh and be like, oh, you know it. What would be a great move is to reach in his back pocket, he pulls out the entire page of the newspaper and rips it. Rips the coupon. Rips it out. Oh, I just forgot I had this. There we go. That's the one I wanted. There we go. Waiter.
Hey, look at this. This week is two for one. Yeah. I guarantee a lot of girls would not find a problem with that. They'd be like, oh, you just ripped part of this other coupon. No, no, no. Rip it like that. M1 Jeff is on the line. What's up, Jeff? Hey. What's going on? Hey, I had a similar situation. I was at work, and my boss calls me into the office one time, and he says, hey, I want to take you out to lunch. I think it'd be really fun. You've been doing a really good job lately. And we get to lunch and we finish up and whatnot. He did the exact same thing. He pulled out a 50% off coupon. And I was like, this is ridiculous. This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life. Were you trying to sleep with your boss? No, the guy, bro. I know, dude. That's what I'm saying. I would never. Listen, if it was a boss, it wouldn't. I don't know. I don't think it would bother me. If it was a boss, it wouldn't either. If it was a, you know, it would bother me. You just said you want to take me out to reward me for my hard work and you're going to bust out a coupon. Yeah, maybe you're right. How is this rewarding me? Want me to pay? Jeff, OK, you're right. Yeah, good call. Good call. Thank you, bro. All right. Take care, man.
Yeah, so maybe that would bother me a little bit. Well, I might give you an indication of where the company's headed. Yeah. What if? Seriously, he's pulling out the cookie. Yeah, is there something you should tell me, bro? It's one thing if he didn't say he was going to take you out for a ward, if they were just buddies and they were going to go to work. You know, then it's cool. But if he was, like, thanking him. Bauman was the king of the radio trade. I can't tell you how many meals I ate at Wendy's over the years. Whataburger back in Texas. I got a coupon for so-and-so. I'd be like, I'm in. Let's go. Never mind it if it was him. Well, you guys were buds. You weren't getting taken out for a promotion. That's true. You guys weren't officially in your bromance at that point. We were in our courting phase. You were in courting phase. It's so funny when you get, like, what is the appropriate? time in other words uh let's say that you don't break out a coupon once your boyfriend a girlfriend a year real yeah a year a year give it a year what you don't think give it a year people break up within months and they're already comfortable with each other you know once you're comfortable
Not that comfortable. Woods said that the other day, by the way, in one of our meetings. He's like, oh, yeah, I haven't started doing that yet in the studio. I said, yeah, you're not going to. Yeah, you're not going to start. You're not going to start. I laugh every time. Oh, my gosh. Yesterday, we're in a meeting, right? We're doing a show, an after show meeting. And Sienna. Oh, I got her. Dude, she laughs hysterically at every fart. Yeah, I do. Hey, Sienna, crop dust. Yeah, she goes, what is that? Crop dust. She goes, I've never heard of that. I've never heard of that. What? You haven't, Lauren? Oh, my gosh. It's the greatest thing ever. I got it. It's A&W flying out of her nose. Yeah, she, dude, she almost spit Diet A&W. Out of her nose. Like it was coming out of her nose. I would have never guessed that's what it was. And it's perfect. It's when you walk. I missed it. I stepped out of the room. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Crop dusting is when you walk into a room and you silently. And no one knows. You're just walking. And you're walking while you do it. And it's like dusting crops. Ew. Or like down the aisle. A whole bunch of cubicles. Down the aisle of.
Like an airplane? And this is funny? Let me tell you. It's supposed to be funny. No. I don't know that it's supposed to be. I don't know that you do it as a practical joke. I think people do it because they're just doing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had an office. You're laughing at the term. I had an office in my last company. And guys used to walk into my office and shut the door so that they could, so they wouldn't have to do it in front of the other girls. It was great. That's what my fiance does. Opposite of great. All right, moving on. Girls do not. understand nor care for fart humor. Am I not a girl? Well, I will make a caveat to that. Sienna loves it. If it smells, I don't love it, but just the idea of it is hilarious. Any kind of humor that involves it. Right now, Lauren has a look on her face of just pure disgust. I'm sorry. I'm kind of on the same. It kind of grosses me out. No one does it, Mike. You giggle. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I giggle. I giggle at the humor. I don't giggle at the real thing. Yeah. All the real thing makes me crazy. And you're trapped in a car, then that's awful. Don't want to have anything to do with it. Even that noise makes me throw up in my mouth when you're being inappropriate. All he does all meeting long is make that noise and make Sienna laugh. And we're finally like, Jay will, yeah, Jay finally goes. Jay bent over and picked up a pencil. Can we get to work? Yeah. And was like, do the noise. Yeah.
And Jay finally will have enough. And Jay goes, all right, moving on. All right, moving on. Time to get to work, dude. I want to go home. I got a family. Yeah. He's about to say that to us right now. And of course me, I never want to leave because I don't want to go home to my empty apartment. So I'm like, let's hang out, man. What do you guys want? I'm like the cable guy. You guys want to hang out? If we had an empty room, I'd have you move in with us. Sienna, yesterday was like, when we were talking to the phone, she goes, will you come help me do this bit tomorrow? I'm like, absolutely. I'm in, I'm in, I'm in. She's like, hey, will you help me move a mansion to another mansion? Absolutely. Yeah, sure. Absolutely. So anybody who needs anything, just call your boy, dude. I'm there for you. The phone lines are blowing up. Yeah. 5701. 949, if you want to give us a call, if you want to text messages, 949mikey at gmail.com. Want to know what you think of the coupon thing, if you think that's tacky or if you think there's nothing wrong with it, or if it's ever happened to you. If you're a dude and you've ever whipped out a coupon on a date. Dad, don't call in, please. No, please do. Yeah, actually, Dad, call in. I love you. I would love to hear that. I would not. I would not. Let's see.
Did you hear about this thing that Simon Cowell did where he got a bunch of people together, a bunch of stars, and they remade R.E.M. Everybody Hurts for Haiti? Yeah, to raise money. They're going to sell it probably on iTunes or something? They're saying it's going to be the biggest hit ever. Really? The biggest hit of the last 10 years. No. Other people are saying it's going to. It just released yesterday, and it's going to be platinum by the end of this week. Do we have the song? Yeah, we have it. We can play it? Yeah. Okay, okay. I want to hear their remade. Okay, here are the people that are singing on it. A couple of them. There's a huge list. Yeah, there's a bunch of people. But we got Miley Cyrus, Jon Bon Jovi, James Blunt, Susan Boyle. There's a couple of woods. And you're being inappropriate. Weird. So we'll play that. And then we're going to do a thing that you can call in about, too, about when you misunderstand the lyrics to a song. You think it says something it doesn't? Some good ones. All coming up. Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Good morning, GF. This is Bird from AdroitSolar.com with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Wednesday morning. Brought to you, of course, by Guayaki Uramate. Tastes good, good for you, and gives you that little energy that you need so often when your day starts to run you down. Surf-wise today, starting to run us up. We've got a new swell filling in out of the northwest. It's on a slow increase, and we are coming off of a negative low tide at dawn, so don't expect monster surf out there yet, although we do have more sides coming throughout the day. Right now, running in that knee-weight chest-high zone, some shoulder-high to head-high sets on occasion as that tide fills in. Look for some improvement across the board. Beach break's pretty walled up right now. Swell direction isn't really favoring them, and the negative low tide at dawn is hurting them as well.
Reef break's looking okay, just not that much size. Condition's looking pretty clean, though, and it should just get better, once again, as the day does fill in. So keep an eye on it. For up-to-the-minute surf reports and forecasts, go to surfline.com. For everything you need in order to go surf, you check out one of South Coast Surf Shops' five locations. This surf report is brought to you by Guayaki Yerba Mate, and it can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. 570-1949 is the number. 949mikey at gmail.com is our text. If you want to get a hold of us by text, love to hear from you. It's Coldplay. Here's the deal. Because of what's going on in Haiti, Simon Cowell got a bunch of people together and big stars. And they did a remake of Everybody Hurts by R.E.M. Yeah, came out in 92. It's a great song. Yeah.
So it was kind of like in a We Are The World fashion, he got all these people together. So many people. Do you want me to tell me? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Tell me some of them. Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey, Rod Stewart, Miley Cyrus, Susan Boyle, Cheryl Cole, Michael Bublé. Every time. James Blunt, James Morrison. Just big people. I mean, it's like 30 people. All right, let's hear what it sounds like. Exactly the same. He produced it? Is that the deal? Yeah. They're saying it's going to be platinum by the end of this week. The biggest UK seller in a decade. Really? Yeah. You know who that is? I think it's Celine Dion. Celine Dion's a unicorn. I describe, this is what I describe as a unicorn. A unicorn is somebody that has a talent that is so weird. Like it's so, like there's something going on in their throat that's so different and they sing in such a different way. Yeah. That it's as like strange. As a unicorn running down the street. Like when Mariah Carey sings, I go, whoa. And her speaking voice is so low, which is crazy. It's still alive? Stop. She has a cigarette dangling from her. Mariah, don't. The money's going to go to Haiti? Yeah. A quarter of it. A quarter of it? Simon takes the rest. It's all going to Haiti. Better.
I'd be so mad if anybody got money from it. If Simon got a nickel. Oh, dude, I would be so upset at that. I know. That's Mariah. Yeah. 15 years ago. After fantasy. Is this somebody else or still her? Still her, of course. Where's Chris Martin from Coldplay? You know he's in this somewhere. I'm just over her. James Blood, I think. God. You're beautiful. They gave him one word. They didn't let him do one word. No. That's all. Done, dude. You're out. He's like, you had me sing the whole song, though. You just used the word. You used the one word. That's it? That's all you used? We picked what we could. There's a lot of you. Yeah, we took what was good. Love her. Get. Rod. No. Why so much Rod Stewart? He's a legend, Mike. Can you imagine all those divas in one room together? How much sushi did they have to buy for this steak, dude? Caviar.
God, it's like a fish market. You walk in there, it smells like Yellowtail. No, I guarantee they all went to their own record label and recorded the whole thing on their own, and then they just... No, that's not the way they do it. No, they got to be together, yeah. They get them all together. Did you? They really do. Well, actually, you're right. Sienna doesn't remember We Are The World back in the day. She was six months old. Yeah. No, you weren't even born. Yeah, she wasn't even drinking the rice formula yet. They've redone We Are The World, too. They did. I'm trying to find the song, but we have all that also. It's the same thing, Money For Haiti. No, let me keep you hearing. James. It's awful. Nobody knows who that is. It might be Michael Buble. Comfort in your friends. Sienna's grandmother was actually there too. My grandma's really good. She would be on there. That's right. That sounds like the boob, yeah. That's the boob. Billy Idol. John Bon Jovi. Billy Idol. Do you guys know who Joe McEldery is? I think that's him.
Really? It sounds like John Bon Jovi. It's John Bon Jovi, maybe. Oh, yeah, it is. Is it? Yeah. When you're living on a prayer. Rod, again? Again. Are we going to listen to him? Dude, he's probably in his contract. He's shoving people out of the way. He's like, hey, he's grabbing the microphone. Get out of me. Get out of me. You guys know nothing. Give me the microphone. My gosh. You are. Miley Cyrus is only saying, like, one word. Good. She needs to get back in the mix. She's not even going to be in the picture in, like, a year. Stop. Trust me. Yes, she will be. No, she won't. Yes. It's the Jonas Cousins. They couldn't get the brothers. No, the Jonas Brothers are in the We Are The World one. We'll hear that later. Pretty, though. Beautiful. I like it. Yeah. It's always been a good tune. Susan Boyle. Yes! That's Susan Boyle? Yes!
Beautiful voice. Gorgeous voice. Hey, just keep her behind a screen. Stop it. And you're good to go. She's lovely. She's a lovely person. She's a cat named Pebbles. And you're being inappropriate. She doesn't have a cat named Honey Bell. Oh, she's done. Maybe Leona Lewis? Maybe. Or is it a guy? It's Nicholas Shea. It turns out it's Nicholas Shea. No, it's actually Rod Stewart changing his voice a little bit. Fighting for more time. Mikey's just guessing. Yeah, yeah. 100%. Yeah, 100%. I recognize those pipes anyway. I have no clue. There's so many people that have sprinkled in that I don't even recognize their names, so that's the problem. That's the nogre. It's the nogre. No, she's not on it. Thank Christ. We just start naming random people that we think. Is that Ashley Judd?
Tom Hanks? Yeah. Is that Tom Hanks? Kevin Spacey? That's James Gunn. Is that Kevin Spacey and James Gunn? Is that Obama? The serial killer from The Silence of the Lambs? Everybody hurts. Sometimes. Sometimes. Sometimes. There's one. Can I have a leg there? Yeah, I have a leg there. She would know about that. Is that Kevin Towers, former general manager of the San Diego Posters? Is that Kevin Towers? I think it is. Oh, my stomach. Hold on. I'm trying to hold on to it. Hold on. Hey, Lerder. I imagine them all together swaying. Yeah, they probably are. They had to have filmed it.
Right? There's got to be a video. Absolutely. I can't wait to see that. It's Simon Cowell, dude. There'll be a special. I have a video on my blog right now, but it's not of them performing it. You can just hear the song. They actually did tryouts for this, and they had judges. Exactly. Yeah, to get in there. Simon Cowell judges. Yeah. Oh, that was absolutely dreadful. Horrific. That was painful. If you were chosen to be in one of Simon Cowell's songs, though, I would feel like I am one heck of a singer. If he's like, I want you to be in the song that I'm producing. Of course. Man, that was great. I can't believe we went through that whole thing. Yeah. It was like five and a half minutes of the song. We still haven't got to the misunderstood lyrics, so we'll do that. I got to tell you about this 14-year-old girl that fought off a shark. This is crazy. So great. This is from the Foo Fighters' first album. Every single instrument being played is Dave Grohl. No. He did every... Yeah, the whole... This is a demo.
The actual version of the Foo Fighters first album, the whole thing's a demo. Really? Yeah, they just did the demo. So there's no musicians. It's all him. He's so good. That's crazy to me. It's amazing. So anyway, we'll give you that story coming up. And still got to do the misunderstood lyrics. It's Mikey Show. It's FM 94.9. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. The new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. So, Sienna, tell us about the 14-year-old girl that fought off a shark. This is crazy. This girl lives in New Zealand and she was out in waist-deep water.
Wow. Waist deep water with her little brother. And she said she didn't see anything until she was being attacked. A shark came right up to her hip, took a bite out of her hip. She had a wetsuit on. And she said when she saw the look on her brother's face, she turned to the side, saw this huge gray thing in the water. And then she just immediately, by reaction, grabbed her boogie board and hit it on the head. And it swam away. Yeah. And she said that she read about a surfer who fought off a shark with their... the surfboard, and so she remembered that and just hit it. This 14-year-old girl, it's a freshman in high school. Always happens in the shallow water, too. I can't wait to go surfing. Yeah, she said that she went back on the beach and showed her dad, or told her dad the story, and her dad's like, oh, yeah, okay, and then she turned and showed him her hip, and it was bleeding. Oh, my gosh. But she didn't even need stitches or anything. Wow. She just took a little nibble. Yeah. Just a little nip. Could you imagine? I'm afraid of the water, and it hasn't, I mean, yeah, sharks. Yeah, sharks. But everything. I'm afraid of stepping on shells. That freaks me out. Everything freaks me out. About the beach? Yeah. I asked you the first day you picked me up from the airport. I was like, do you guys go to the beach? You're like, no. I love the beach. I can't wait to get into it.
When I was little, my mom just, like, threw me in there. Yeah. There's no beaches. There's no beaches where I live at all. Lauren surfs. Yeah. Let's go surfing. It freaks me out, though. I'm afraid of stuff in there. Jellyfish, fish. Everything in there freaks me out. I'm a really big shuffler for the stingrays. Yeah. You shuffle your feet? You have to shuffle. Yeah, don't walk. Can I wear shoes in there? Aqua socks. I don't want to step on rocks and stuff, though. You can wear, if you're surfing, there's booties, yeah. Do they have a nice thick sole? Are they like a nurse's shoe? No. That's what I need. Like a big thick sole. You're a wimp. Get in the water and stop it. I'm with you, dude. Do they have like Gene Simmons platform booties? Yes, that's what we need. That's what I would want. Mikey and I just trudging out in the water like a four-foot platform. They'll still hit you in the leg, though, too. They just don't hit you in the foot. Yeah. They'll pop you in the leg good. They can get you in the ankle, the calf. I don't want to get got by anything. No. Well, then be a wimp and lie on the beach and tan. I've got a chum bikini for you, Woods. Yeah, there you go. Any of you guys ever stepped on anything in there? No. You have, Lauren? What?
I never know what it is. I'd rather not know. But it feels all fleshy. It'll just quickly move under you and you're like... Gross! My uncle from Texas came to visit and he is the biggest not beach person ever and he went out, walked into the water trying to be all cool and he got stung by a stingray and I just remember him jumping up, lifting up his leg going, ooh, it smarts! Ooh, it smarts! Scares me to death. I went snorkeling in Barbados, and they threw, when I was kind of swimming up to the boat, they threw all the chum right at my face as a joke from the boat. So about a billion fish just swarmed. Oh, wow. I literally shot. I was like, Jesus, dude. I shot out of the water. I was walking across the boat. It was awful. Never been so scared. Never want any part of it. 570-1949. Good job. 949mikey at gmail.com if you want to get a hold of us by text message. What are the words to songs? Yes, Jay. What's dad's on the line? Oh, yes. You are kidding me. Daddy-o. What's your dad's name? Gary. Gary? Hello? Hi, Gary. How are you? I'm good. How are you? Well, I can attest to the water problem. We were out at our lake house trying to scrape some poles.
swore that he felt a snake at his feet, so he left. Yeah, that was it. That was done. Hey, Pop. How are you? I'm good. So you called Steve. You call him Steven. We've always called him Steven. But he's back into the fold. Everybody calls me Woods or Woodsy, so he's melted into that fold pretty well. That's right. That's fantastic. Do you miss him? Are you having a hard time? Absolutely. My wife wanted to fly out this weekend to see him. It's been a whole week, you know, so we got to get out sooner rather than later. And I hear he's got a loft that we can stay on. You know, it sounds like the floor, there's some carpeting we can crash on. My dad's a big spender. He'll get you a towel to lie on. Our producer Jay helped Woodsy yesterday put some stuff in the house. And one of the things that he helped him put in there was... Like a chair or whatever. And Jay says, you know, it's got three-inch shag carpet. 1970s shag carpet. It's 1970s for sure. Hey, Gary, did you know that Woods actually uses you as a cosigner? He just signs it himself. I'm on all kinds of things all over the country. He has no idea about all the stuff that he's been signed up for illegally. I'm just kidding, Dad. He's just kidding. People are chasing me all over the country. That's fantastic. Well, hey, listen, Mr. Woods.
Yes, sir. Thank you for calling in. And Mr. Wood, right? No, it's Woods. Is it Woods? Yeah. It's Woods. How long have you known me, dude? I know, but I didn't know if it was Wood. And we just call you Woods, you know? Mike Aspars? Yeah, Mike. Mike, hi, everybody. Mike Aspars. Yeah, it's Woods. W-O-O-D-S. People, that's a common mistake. No, it is not. Some people say Sienna Richard, and it's Richards. Yes. Get. Thank you. Bye, Gary. How are you? I'm doing good. I can't wait to meet you. Well, likewise. You all sound great on the radio. Thanks, Dad. I love you. You sound great yourself on the radio. Thank you, Gary. Hey, Dad, who do you like for the Super Bowl, by the way? I kind of like the Saints. There you go. I think they've got a good shot. Like father, like son. There you go. Love you. And I don't use coupons for everything. Good man. He says you do. No, especially not on dates or anything like that. Yeah. Stephen said. Stephen. Nobody even here knows my first name. Stephen said that you would break out a coupon on a first date and then drop dead second. In a heartbeat. Absolutely wrong. All right. The second date or beyond. Yeah, exactly. Love you. Thank you, Mr. Woods. All right. Talk to you later. See ya. What lyrics did you screw up to songs when you guys were kids? I had so many, dude. One of the best that I've ever heard, though, was actually Bauman's Dad. You know the song. Do you want me to tell you the song?
Sure. You know the song Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top? Sing it. I need to hear it. Every girl crazy about a sharp dressed man. Bauman's dad, Dirk, Dirk Bauman, said, he walked into Mark's room, he goes, all the girls are crazy about Shotgun Sam. Brilliant. And if you hear it, it sounds, I mean, it does sound like it. It's brilliant. 570-1949-949-mikey at gmail.com. Here are some of the top ones. We looked up some of the top ones. Zeppelin Stairway to Heaven. People thought it was, there's a wino down the road. Yeah, and as we wino. Oh, that's perfect. It does sound like that. It does. Do it again. No. I can see it. I can see it easily. I can't do. Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit. Smells Like Teen Spirit. People thought it was. Here we are now. In Containers. Now. I can hear that one. I don't get that one at all. It's Entertain Us, right? Entertain Us. Yeah. In Containers. Nickelback. Perfect. How You Remind Me. Because they thought that the people were singing because little women must have damn near killed you. And the real lyric is because living with me must have damn near killed you. Little women.
Little Lemon must have damn near killed you. Smoke on the Water, Deep Purple. Smoke on the Water and Fire in the Sky. People thought it is Smoke on the Water. Small Cousin Walter is firing this guy. Wow. You know one of the ones I always used to think? You remember? Excuse me while I kiss the sky. Right. I thought it was Kiss the Sky when I was a little kid. Hendrix. It does sound like, excuse me, I'll kiss this guy. I mean, it was the 60s, dude. Yeah. Who knows? Maybe that's what they were doing. Maybe a dude slipped in there. That's right. 570-1949 with the lyrics that you messed up. Lauren, did you ever screw any up? Never. No, I never screw anything up. Yeah, of course. No, but nothing's coming to mind right now. I remember my mom used to say during that, I think it's a Billy Ocean song.
Caribbean Queen. She used to say Paragold's Twist. Paragold's Twist. That doesn't mean anything. What's a Paragold? Is that something? How about Tiny Dancer, Elton John. This is a suggestion from little brother Brent. Yeah. Hold me closer, Tony Dancer. Yeah, that was on something. That was on Friends. Phoebe sang it. It was it? Yes. Well, you don't have to take away from the joke. It was Phoebe's joke. It was Phoebe's. That was not original. I just said it was from my brother. Yeah. He got it from Phoebe. Oh, my God. Thanks. Sorry, Brent. Yeah. Hey, Debbie Downer. What's up, dude? You know, everyone in the car went, no, it's not from your brother. It's from Friends. So I'm speaking for them. We're trying to make plays over here. Okay? We're trying to make plays over here. Yeah. We're trying to make a couple completions. Well, you could just say, you know, Phoebe from Friends. All right. Okay. I didn't know that, though. I didn't know that. I knew I'd heard it, though. I can help you out. Ollie the Seal is what a lot of people thought Our Lips Are Sealed was by the Go-Go's. Ollie the Seal. Really? Ollie the Seal. Yeah. Do you know the song Lunatic Fringe? Mm-hmm. Another one of Bauman's friends said it was Let Me Take French. Let me take French. Pretty good. That's a jam. Never heard of it. Didn't we? We have a bet. Yeah, me and Woodsy have a bet. I'll find it right now. Woodsy says the lead singer of the band that sings Lunatic Fringe is who? I think it's Red Ryder.
Baby Gun? Well, yeah, yeah. The band is Red Ryder. Right. And the singer for Red Ryder is Tom Cochran, who sang Life is a Highway. And I said, no, I don't think that's right. I think the lead singer of Red Ryder. Tom Cochran and Red Ryder. Really? You owe me one dull hair. One dollar bill. One dollar bill. The former band Red Ryder. The kid is right. You got one thing right today. You missed the Phoebe quote. I didn't know it. Let's go. M1 Woodchip. What's going on, guys? What's up? Love the new show. Everyone sounds awesome. Thank you, bro. Thank you. My mom, when I was little, there's that song, What's Love Got to Do With It? Right. And she used to always sing, White Sluts Gotta Do It. White Sluts Gotta Do It. Oh, that's awesome.
Your mom thought that, by the way. You're like, Mom, please stop singing. It took about a couple weeks for my dad to correct her, and then she felt really embarrassed. That's great. Thank you. Thank you for the call. Thanks, man. Let's see. M1, Surfer Wife, what's up? Hey, I used to think that song Secret Agent Man was secret Asian. I did, too. I've done that, too. Wait a minute. You're telling me that it's not Secret Asian Man? So I'm finding out a secret right now. Yes. Secret? Asian, man. Just a very sly Chinese dude. Yeah. That dude is awesome. Jackie Chan. Yeah. He works for like the Japanese CIA. He's like that guy from The Hangover that jumps out of the trunk. Yep. Oh, that part was awful. Oh, no. I think everybody messed this next one up. Everybody messed this next one up. M1 Miller time. Yeah, I got one. Yep. Don't know what the name of the song is, but... Blinded by the light. Oh, yeah. Wrapped up like a douche. That's what I thought, too. It's called Blinded by the Light. Is it revved up like a douche? It's revved up like a douche. Yeah, what's that mean? What's a douche? Like a two, like a douche. I thought it was douche. It sounds like douche. Yeah. Revved up like a douche. Wrapped up like a douche. A.K.A.
what Lauren drinks in the morning. It's wrapped up like a Chambuca, a Chewbacca. She doesn't have it this morning. Thank God I know there's a very non-Summer's Eve smell in here today. Every morning Lauren drinks a drink called a Chewbacca. Kombucha. It's vinegar with mushrooms in it. Vinegar with little tiny bits of mushrooms. She says it's real good for her. I didn't know that it was mushrooms. That's what Wikipedia said, but it might not be right. You drink it because it's good for your digestion. Well, among other things, yes. I say, well, I need a piece of broccoli, but I eat your own. Don't knock it until you try it. The problem is I can't try it. I can't try it. I can't even get it to my lip. Yeah, because as soon as I see it, I... M1 Youth Man. Are you there, Youth Man? Yes. Go ahead. We're going to say... Give me the Beach Boys to free my soul. Yes. So great, dude. I always thought of that. Give me the Beach Boys to free my soul. Beach Boys. It's Beat Boys? It's Beat Boys. That's what he says, give me the beat? Give me the beat, boys. Oh, yeah, it makes sense. Thank you very much. That's a good one. Can't find the butter man. The butter man? I can't find the butter man. It's in the fridge, bro. It's just in the refrigerator.
They say it ain't butter, though. You nut. Have you ever seen that, what is it, Yellow Lead Better Day, the Pearl Jam song? Yeah, Yellow Lead Better. It's one of my favorites. There is an interpretation of what that guy thinks all the lyrics are? Yeah. Oh, it's great. Let's hear it, Woodsy. Let's see your skills. But those are the right words? There are no lyrics. Yeah, can I just make up whatever you want? He makes them up every time. On a wizard on a whale. It sounded great, but I couldn't understand anything. Don't keep it down out there, man. Is that Dave? Yep. Is that you? Is that you, Dave? Yes, sir. That's Dave Matthews. He's jealous. What? Wait, did you just climb up? I've been...
I've been asleep under the board all day, man. You're loud as hell. You're telling me the whole time we were on the radio, you were sleeping underneath the board? I slept here last night. You did? I went out, I came home, partied with Jesse. He was working the board all night, and I slept right under the board. Overnight DJ. He didn't even know it. You were under there sleeping. I had no idea. Dave Matthews just popped in the studio. He's not wearing anything but a robe. He's just got a robe on. Yep. Looking good, man. Thanks, man. If by looking good, you mean haven't shaved in eight days. No. So, looks great, Dave. It's the first sleep I've had in eight days, too. Yeah. Hey, can you sing us a song about donuts? Sure. We have donuts in the studio, and they are good. Delish. Dave Matthews, everybody. I love some donuts. Yes, I do. Oh, that's awesome. And you do, too. That is true. I do, Dave. Definitely do. Thank you. Good job. Where's my joint? We're in a radio studio. Yeah. Remember yesterday when you came on? Nope. Don't say no. I like it here. You don't remember? I like it here. I gotta go pee. First of all, you don't have to say that. Second of all, you do remember when you were here. When you came in, I said, if you're going to play, just don't say the stupid stuff. Dave, are you going back under the board? He's crawling. He's going back to bed. He's going back to sleep.
Please don't be under there. I have a list of the most beautiful cities in the world. Did San Diego make the list? Had to have. Better. I have a Jersey Girl spoiler. Jersey Girl? Yeah, you know, or Jersey Shore. Is that what it's called? Jersey Shore spoiler. I have a Jersey Shore spoiler. Worst show ever. I don't understand it. I'll tell you about it next. It's the Mikey Show now heard on FM 94.9. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. You also have Steve Woods. You got Lauren O'Brien. You got Sienna Richards. And you have Jay Isbell. And you also have a TV show out there that's real popular right now. And it is called Jersey Shore. Now, I don't know anything about it. I watched maybe like five minutes of it. It's like the new Hills on MTV. You know the show The Hills? Yeah. Well, it's fiercely popular. And I know that. But I know that if it's on MTV, there's no way I'll like it. Right.
You don't know that. I know it for a fact. Did you ever watch Real World? Yeah. And you didn't like it? I mean, when I was 20, I watched it and I was able to watch it. But I can't watch it as an adult because it makes me so nervous. Like it makes me, I get anxiety watching those. We are like the same person. Really? We really are. I'm the same way. It makes my heart just race. Yeah. Watching all the drama from young people makes me upset. And when are we going to realize that these reality shows are... All scripted and fake. Right. It drives me batty. Right? Batty. This is a trailer clip of the show. A lot of things. Yeah, yeah. I can't. I can't. It makes me nervous. My heart's racing. Oh, yeah. Well, they just did their first season, and it was huge. I mean, people just went nuts over this show, and now they've just signed on to do a second season. So everyone is very excited. They'll do 100 seasons. Well, you know what? This cast was actually pretty smart. They decided, look, we're going to stick together, and we're going to do this as a team, and we're going to make sure we all get paid the exact amount of money, each of us. So they all make the exact amount per episode. I think it's like $10,000 an episode.
But, like, the people on the hills have a big variety, and that was always a big issue. I'm sure. Now, the thing with the hills was that it was kind of a known thing that it was a reality show that definitely had a storyline and was sort of scripted and so forth. And everybody kind of knew it, right? Yeah. Jersey Shore is not yet. It may turn into it. Oh, so right now it's a true reality show. No way. That does not appear to be. Well, that's what they say. That's what they say. Have you seen it? It's so over the top ridiculous. I watched one episode like a girl gets clocked in the face. Punched in the face by a guy. By a dude. At a bar. Oh, I don't want any part of that drama. They say it the guys that are like best buds. They say something called GTL, which is what they do every day. Yeah. Gym, tan, and laundry. Oh, I don't do that every day. Are you speechless? No, no one does that every day. Actually, I know a couple guys that do that every day. That's terrifying. Those are my two of my best buddies back home. They could be on that show. GTL. GTL, baby. GTL. D and Dub will get you. Jay, what's the name of the girl on the line here? She calls herself Jersey Girl. Jersey Girl? Yeah. Are you there? That's me, Mikey. How you doing? I'm doing great. How are you? I'm great. Actually, they call me MC Meldog. MC Meldog.
I am great friends with the cast members. And I'm calling in because I have some amazing spoiler information for season two. What can you tell me? Wait, you're friends with the cast of Jersey Shore? Yeah. I'm like that. I'm like so tight you wouldn't even imagine. Who do you know? You know them all. I know them all. Right now, they're not doing me right so much. So I threatened to call in if they didn't give me some money. So you know what? Here I am. I'm making the call. This is making me nervous. Already, I'm nervous. Already, I feel like I've been punched in the face. Well, are you ready for this? Yes, I's ready for it. All of us. All right. So, Mike. Mike, can I call you Mikey? No. You can call me Mikey. You called me Mike twice. So the answer would be no. You can call me Mikey. I prefer Mikey. Okay, yes, then do that. Say Mikey. Yeah. Okay. So, Mikey, here's what's happening. Okay. The whole cast, they're getting on the road, shooting down the turnpike, picking up some sausage and peppers, going down to Florida. Uh-huh. Going down to Florida. You're going to see more gold chains, more gorillas, more muscle milk than you've ever seen. Okay, that's gross.
More muscle milk. Protein powder. It's a protein powder? It's going to be off the chain, Mikey. Yeah. It's going to be off the chain. And if you thought Snooki getting punched in the face was crazy, wait until Pauly T has an encounter with an alligator. Wait a minute. Wait, wait, wait. I may watch. What do you look like, Jersey girl? Oh, I'm insane. I'm insane. Mikey, I got my tan on every day. Yeah. I've got my nails did. Constantly, at least once a week. Yeah. I could put Snooki's poof to shame. Do you do the gym and the tanning and the laundry? I don't need to go to the gym. You don't? No, this body is what God gave me. I'm rocking it. Yeah. I'm loving it. And it looks great no matter what? No matter what. No matter what I wear, but don't worry, I'll always be looking fly. Yeah? You'll always be looking fly. Always, Mikey. What do the nails look like? The nails? Right now they're, I don't know what you'd call this, cherry red? Mm-hmm. Yeah? Yeah. How long? They're probably really long, huh? Oh, I don't know. I guess, what would you call that? Maybe like an inch there off the bed? What's a hot dude look like?
He's Italian. Yeah, first of all. Let's just start there. He's Italian. Okay. He has got to have some amazing muscles. We call them gorillas. Yeah, gorillas. Yeah. Okay. Oh, I thought you meant when you go to Florida, they were actually going to see some gorillas. No, no. We're talking about some hot Italian men because they love to frequent Florida as well. Yeah. Miami. Oh. Don't even get me started. Oh, sorry. She just said Florida. It had nine syllables. Is that Sierra on there? That is not Sierra. Sienna. That's Sienna. Yeah. Oh, sorry, Sienna. Sienna Mist. Yes, exactly. Sienna Mist. That would be Sierra Mist. That is your Jersey Shore name. Oh. Yeah, your Jersey Shore name is Sienna Mist. Sienna Mist. Okay. I'm cool with that. I've never had a Jersey Shore name. What's my Jersey Shore name? Well, I got the emcee, so you can't be having the emcee. You know what, though? Mikey is good enough for the store. Absolutely. We like to add the wives onto everything. You got Nikki, you got Bobby, you got Mikey, you got Paulie. So if I was Mike, it would have to be Mikey.
Absolutely. So I'm Stevie then. Yeah, you're Stevie. Stevie, Woodsy, that'll work. Huge. I got a double. I like it. And you know, Sierra, we're working on you. I think Sienna Mist could be a good one for you. Sienna is her name. My name is Sienna. Her name is actually Sienna. And the drink is actually called Sierra Mist. It's all right. Sorry, my bad. It's okay. Hang on, I'm taking a drink of some... Monster milk. Is that what it is? Muscle milk. Muscle milk, Mikey. Come on, you know that. Muscle milk. I did know that. I was messing with you. Mikey, I got to go, though. I have a cleaning appointment. I'm already late for it. I just wanted to call in, and I hope that the rest of the cast is listening to me, and maybe they'll take me seriously. Thank you, Jersey girl. All right, thank you. You're a delight. She's a delight, isn't she? She's amazing. She's really a delight. Just listening to her talk made me nervous. I was, like, so fast. I was like, this is Southern California. We do it slow. That's right, man. We're all laid back. Just chill. Very different. Very different. Lauren just came back in the room. Where were you, Lauren? You seemed like you were in the... Oh, I just had a little... I had some issues next door, but I'm good. Got it. Got it. Good to have you back. Good to have you back. I missed you. 570-1949. You can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. I'll never watch it.
Jersey Shore? I love the Jersey Shore. There is a... Wait a minute. How does it... Gay military ban being ended. I didn't think that there was a ban. I thought that the deal was don't ask, don't tell. It was, but I mean the openly gay. If you say that you're openly gay, then you're not allowed in the military. That's how it's been for 17 years. It's ridiculous. They're trying to end it right now. I am not gay. I never have been gay. Nobody's asking, so I don't know why you're telling me. That's the deal. Well, so but now what they're saying is, is that you can open that they'll make it so that you can openly say the chiefs of state chairman has announced this. He told the Senate committee yesterday that it's time to get rid of this ban. But they did ask for about a year to study the impact of the don't ask, don't tell theory. So it's not going to go into effect right away. But they're saying hopefully it will within the next 11 months. I love it. I love it. Yeah. Well, I mean, listen, if you want to be openly gay, you can be openly gay. The thing is, is that there's probably going to be people in the military that are going to be really upset about it. And they're probably going to, you know, do whatever. But, you know, listen. President Obama has pledged to end the band. I mean, I think it's going to happen. Yeah. What if they were, you know, bilingual or had, you know, some amazing talents that most people don't have? Well, I always thought the don't ask, don't tell thing was just weird. Yeah. It's like.
I thought it was an odd thing. I mean, if you're going to be gay, you say that you're gay. Yeah. But if you do, you know that there's people that aren't going to like it, too. Dude, show them your stuff, man. It seems so Stone Age to me. I'm not sure really what Woods meant by, you know, dude, show them your stuff. I don't really know. I'm not even. I don't think that's what they mean. Be your own man. Is that what it is? That's what it means. Show them your stuff. Yeah, show them your stuff. And you're being inappropriate. Well, of course. I mean, it's just weird. That's all I'm saying. Oh, the cities. We didn't do the cities. Does San Diego make the list? We'll find that out when we come back. San Diego make a list of the world's most beautiful cities. And we're also going to be talking about the most talked about ankle in history. Yes, I said ankle. What was the name of that sandwich place that Garrett brought us sandwiches from? That place was... San Diego Sandwich Company, I think. That was good. I want that now. Thanks. Now my mouth's watering. How great was that though, right? That was good stuff, man. So good. Garrett, I need a turkey on white. Go for a veggie? That's right. That guy was great. He ran out and got us some. Let's see what's happening in sports.
So I'm sure everybody's getting tired of hearing about the most famous ankle in the world. It's Dwight Freeney, the all-world pass rusher for the Colts. Went to Syracuse, a guy almost, almost, I mean, he would. He had a sack record in college. He's ridiculous. So that's kind of giving the Saints the upper hand in this game because Breeze will be able to stand back in the pocket and just sling it down the field. But I pulled some audio of one of your old boys, Deion. Were you a Deion fan when you were a Niners fan? When he played for the Niners. How good. Was that guy. Sick. He was one of the best football players ever. Absolutely. One of the worst interviewers slash media people ever. So I got some audio. Let's take a listen. Him interviewing. Addressing his ankle situation. It's a third degree sprain on his right ankle. He does have a torn ligament. Freeney says he probably won't practice all week. He'll be a game time decision. Now the normal healing time takes six to eight weeks. But Freeney's hopeful he'll be able to get on the football field. He spoke with our Deion Sanders one-on-one.
I saw you limp up here, and I can see the swelling in your ankle. How is your ankle, and will you play in the Super Bowl this weekend? Well, you know, the ankle's pretty much day-to-day. You know, every morning, wake up. Can you hold it out here? I want to see it. It's so awful. See ya? I don't know if it's getting swollen, but, you know, it's just day-to-day, you know, and hopefully, you know, towards the end of the week, it starts to get better. You know, it still has a little bit of swelling left, so. We're trying to get it out. Will you play sparingly? Or you think you can go the whole game? That was sparingly, by the way. That's going to be a decision that's going to be made later on in the week. He's like, I think I just answered that question. I think I just answered that. We definitely have some recovery to go. And, you know, it's going to be a decision really by the coaching staff, you know, come Friday, maybe Saturday. So Dion thought they were playing show and tell, and he wanted to see it. Yeah, exactly. Well, show it to me. I want to see it. He's actually, it's injured. I really don't want to be waving it around. Yeah. And maybe he didn't know what day-to-day meant. It could be, too. That's amazing. It's awesome. We have little, I think we have somebody on the line. Little Maggie is on the line. You guys want to talk to Little Maggie? Sure. Let's talk to Little Maggie. Hang on a second. Let me see where Little Maggie is. This should be fun. Let's see. Little Maggie, are you there? Hi, Maggie. Hi, Little Maggie. How are you?
I'm good. Can you guys hear me okay? I can hear you fine. How are you? I'm doing good. Today I was actually calling. I was hoping I could speak to Woods about some football. Yeah, yeah. Woods is right here. Yeah, I'm here. Hi, Wizzy. Hi, Maggie. Hi. You have a Saints in the Super Bowl, right? Yeah, I took the Saints. Okay, well, I just wanted to talk a little shop with you. Sure. I'm a sports guy. I'll talk shop all day. How old are you, Maggie? I'm five. Okay, good. You're five? All right, cool. Five. My mommy lets me listen to the show, Mikey, because she says you're the best, and I think so, too. That's wonderful. That's awesome. What was your question for Woodsy? Well, I just wanted to give kind of what I thought, because I heard you talking about Dwight Freeney. Yep. And here's what I think. Now, the Colts' run defense is excellent at getting off blocks and forming to the football. Yes, that's true.
And in the last two weeks, they held both the Jets and the Ravens to under 90 yards on the ground. What do you think about that, Woods? Yeah. Sure. You didn't know that. You probably didn't know that. I knew. You did. Of course. Yeah. Of course you knew. Of course. Now, Woodsy, this could mean a long day for Saints running back Pierre Thomas, Mike Bells, and Reggie Bush, don't you think? Yeah, for sure. Yeah, could be. Could be. Could be a long day. However. If Dwight Franey isn't there to pressure Breeze, I expect to see the Saints passing game really open up. Because if the Colts are forced into zone coverage, Drew Breeze and the number one scoring offense in the league are going to pick them apart. Is your daddy a big football fan? How much football do you watch? I watch every week at SportsCenter, but my daddy has to make sure that I watch it. People like Charles Barkley don't say anything too inappropriate. Right. That's a good idea. But I have more. Is that okay? Well, you mean you have more opinions, Maggie? Yeah. I still have a lot more, Maggie. It's Mikey. I said Mikey. I thought you said Mickey. Oh, no. I'm not Mickey, though. Mickey Mouse? No, no. No, no. Go ahead, Maggie. What else were you going to say to Woods? I'm blown away. Yeah, Woods.
the Colts offense versus Saints defense, it's going to be really interesting to see how the Saints defensive coordinator Greg Williams approaches trying to stop the Colts offense. Officially weird. Because his first priority has got to be shutting down the run. Now, with an experienced offensive line... What's this just sitting there? I don't even know. It's like another language. I'm blown away. He's going to keep the Saints on their heels. Because if the Saints have to respect the run, and Peyton Manning will have to fight targets all night long. But if the Saints can make the Colts one-dimensional, then you will see some six, seven-man pressure and a wide variety of stunts and blitzes. With Scott Fugita. And Bobby McRae in his face all night. Manning could end up joining Kurt Warner and Brett Favre as victims of Dak defense. Thank you. Thank you very much. That's little Maggie calling in. You're welcome. Anytime and talk sports with me. This is great. I feel my neighbor. I gotta go because my mommy's making mac and cheese for me. Thank you. But I love you guys. Thank you, Maggie. It's very nice to hear from you. And making me look like an idiot. Little Maggie. Wow.
It's little Maggie. Wow. She'll get a screenshot of Woodsy's face. Oh, my God. Maggie called in. I feel two feet tall right now. Yeah, well, you should. Little Maggie basically just taught you everything that I used to know about this weekend's game. I'll be calling her for updates. By the way, Woodsy and I have differing opinions on the Super Bowl. I thought you were going for the Saints. No. You changed your mind? Well, it's not a matter of rooting. I'm just, who do I think? Because I don't have a dog in that fight. I really don't either. I think the Colts will win, though. I hope not. You think they will, or do you hope that they will? I think they will. I hope the Saints win. You've got to go for the Saints. I'll root for the Saints. Well, let's root. It'll be your house, and I'll be rooting. I'll root for the Saints, but I believe that that Peyton Manning is unstoppable. That dude's ridiculous. He's sick. He's a witch. He's crazy. I've never been a fan. You've never been a fan of Peyton Manning? He's a nice guy. Who is a fan of Peyton Manning? He's so nice. I know he's not. If you see his endorsing commercials, he's hilarious. He's a big whiner on the field. He's a whiner on the field? You see him? He kind of throws his head around like... He kind of sounds like Maggie. When something doesn't go his way, he sounds like Maggie. The whole family. I know. I love Peyton Manning. Get over your football selves. Seriously. Man. Some haters.
What are the most beautiful cities? What did you say? I said Ing because you said, oh, man. Ing. Sorry. I don't get that. Oh, man, Ing. There you go. I know, I know, I know. Most beautiful cities in the world. Yes, the list just came out. Is it a list in order? No. We got to guess. Yes. Paris, France. Number one on the list. Of course. Florence, Italy. Yep. Number five. Can you see my list? No. Okay. I'm staying good guesses. Sydney, Australia. It's on there, number four. You're the top five right now. Good Lord. I live there. Easy travel channel. You've been there? I live there. You live there? Uh-huh. Okay, what do you think? Do you live there right now? No. That's a long commute. A long commute. There are 12 cities on this list. Do you think San Diego's on the list, Mike? No way. Lauren? Yes. Absolutely. Jay? Jay, would you say San Diego's on the list? What's happening? He's so overwhelmed in there. He is. Jay's reading the paper right now. He's reading the paper. To say yes, Mike says no. He's got both feet back up on the desk reading a paper. Eating the donuts. I say no way. Well, San Diego did not make the list. That's shocking. You want to know why? Because it was written by somebody that's never been here, I bet. How's that? It's got to be. I'm upset. San Francisco made the list. Vancouver. I think we're 50 billion times prettier than San Francisco. San Francisco is very green, though. Of course. Very green. If I was a city and I was wanting to date.
A good-looking city? I would think San Diego is one of the best-looking cities. It's so beautiful. If you were one city and you wanted to date another city. Yeah, exactly. Cape Town, Venice, Chicago, New York City, London, Cambridge, and Tokyo. Really? San Diego is better than all of them. Dallas is not on there. That shocks me. Neither is Williamsport, Pennsylvania, but, you know. That's shocking. Neither is Trenton, New Jersey, which has really kind of shocked everybody. Amarillo's not there. Why don't you recheck the list? Yeah, maybe we missed it. Merced, Bakersfield. Yuma? Yuma, not on the list. Not there. All right, fine. What is an underwater plane? Does anybody know what an underwater plane is? I don't even feel like that makes sense. Yeah, but it does. It's a real thing. I actually saw it on the TV. It's amazing. This thing scoots underwater. You know who the dude? Richard Branson is the guy that founded...
Virgin Airlines. Love him. Awesome. Great airline. Love to hang out with that guy for a day. Jump out of a plane. Yeah. Well, he made a plane for under the water. Yeah. What's the point? Why would you want a plane for under the water? It's amazing. It flies into the depths of the Caribbean Sea. It's amazing. It's like a torpedo tank. It's kind of like a... It has wings like a plane. It can go two to five nautical miles per hour, dive more than 100 feet deep. You can stay in for two hours. And basically, he's just saying, look, come to my island. It's going to cost you $300,000 just to stay on his island. Literally his island. His island. He owns it. It's called Necker. Necker? Necker. And if you want to go on Necker Nymph, which was the name of the underwater plane, it's going to cost you $25,000. Yeah. Sounds like Fantasy Island. Yes. Yeah, it is. When you get there, you got to get in a boat where you go under the water and look at the things in the plane. In the plane. And you go under the water, but you can only stay for two hours because then you run out of air and you start to choke to death. So this begins on February 20th, so only a couple weeks from now. Two riders are out at a time.
With a pilot. And yeah, you can take a plunge from land on his island or you can go in a boat and then into this. But basically what happens is... I will not go on it. Do you want to know why? Why? I'm no longer alive. You can already see under the ocean. The plane uses downward pressure on its wings to fly through the water. Like I said, you can go for two hours. And then it even has like an open cockpit so you can see a 360 view. Doesn't thrill me. I'm sorry. Look at the picture of it. It doesn't do anything for me. I would love to do that. I would do it too. See, I have an obsession with sharks and stuff. I just want to see what happens. You and UJ for the honeymoon. Oh, yeah. Make your ride. $300,000 just to go to his island. Come on, man. Don't they have stuff like that now in, like, Hawaii? You go to Hawaii and you get... It's called a glass-bottom boat. Yeah. Those are not the same. It is. It's the same thing. You're like underwater wildlife. Oh, boy. Wait till we come back and I read to you the email. He's got quite a story. Things that you've said and revealed here on the air. If he does after... Good relationship. Yeah, I tell this story. I'll do it next. This is The Mikey Show.

Recap email from Sienna. Can't wait. Yes. Sienna says that yesterday her fiancé, she's getting married February 28th. 27. 27. Yep. And she says that yesterday her fiancé, which by the way, you have issue with the word fiancé. I really feel like snobby. I did too. I didn't like it. I feel like a debutante. Fiance Knowles. He will not say it. Fiance Knowles, yeah. Fiance Knowles. Yeah, he won't say it at all. And I was like at first like, well, I'm fiance, you know, but then I was like, no, you're right. He said girlfriend the other night. Oh, he will. He'll he only says that. When Rebecca and I were engaged, it felt pretentious. Yeah, as if... I know. Eating some bleu poisson. That's exactly it. That's probably exactly what Mikey and Rebecca's conversation said about in a restaurant. The grape of fun. Ordering some delicious food. That's right. Carameled onions. Thank you. Caramelized. Caramelized. Oh, sorry. Step it up. You've been there. Sienna says she asked her fiancé, or yesterday her fiancé asked her a question that he normally would never ask.
No. He said, Sienna, don't freak out when I say this. But what do you think about me going to the tanning salon? Oh. A couple of times before the wedding. She says the initial reaction in my head was no. But I thought about it for a second and came to the realization that I think it's actually okay. I do. I'm normally very against guys going tanning. But we are getting married during winter. In Jersey? No, in San Diego. You're going to do laundry? No. You're not going to do laundry? So you're not going to tan and do laundry and go to the gym? Nope. Neither of us do gym at all. And I do the laundry. Okay. Sienna says, we're getting married during winter. Everyone looks a little better with a little color. True. He's really on the fence about it. So I told him, go for it, babe. I did. Okay. Now.
When I hear anything about a guy tanning, I immediately think, jabroni. Jabroni. Jabroni. What is that? It's a dork. What are you doing? Is that a code word? That's my word. Yeah, that's my... Never heard it. Jabroni. Jabroni. I made it up. I didn't make it up, but I heard someone say it and I thought it was perfect. Jabroni. So jabroni. And when he asked me that, he knew. He knew I was going to freak. Yeah. But the thing is, is... It's a wedding. It's his wedding. If he was a groomsman or something, I would say absolutely not. But, like, yeah, he wants to look good for his wedding. And, you know, neither of us are big gym goers. So if you can't tone it, tan it. What's happening? You guys are looking at each other really weird. I'm gonna. Don't. You or me. You decide. What? I don't know what's going on right now. Woods looks really uncomfortable. Woods is gonna burst. Don't get upset. You or me, which will be easier and softer on you? You. Me? Yeah. Woods was going to tan. What? Why? You guys have no idea how against it I am or was until I moved to California. What do you mean? I'm like the fattest, pastiest, white, like creamy, milky, transparent.
Let's go tan, big fella. Let's go. I knew I was going to catch heat. And I told Mikey. I was talking to him the other day. And he asked me what I was doing. I was literally sitting in front of the tanning salon. And I was going to go in and sign up for membership. But I just can't. I couldn't do it. I couldn't do it. Well, are you going to? Car started back up. He put it in reverse. Backed out of the space. And went to Burger King. Yum. Okay. We had a beeline for the gym. Dude, I was so close. I had the checkbook in my hand. I was like, let's go sign up for like 30 days. Who writes a check? Everybody pays by checks. Who writes a check? I do. I had my checkbook in my hand. And my driver's license just in case. I do. I write checks. How much will this check be for? How should I make this out to? I didn't do it. You didn't. But then, and this is part of my reasoning too, I said, It's kind of by work. And I was like, well, I really don't know where I'm going to live yet. So shouldn't I get something close to the house? But then I can just go right after work. And then I was like, why am I thinking about this? I'm not tanning. I'm a dude. So it's done. You're done? You're over it? Or are you still not sure? I'm still thinking about it. Why don't you just sit outside? You live in San Diego. Because it's like 40 outside. It's still kind of cold, though. And when we get home, I'm tired. I just want to lie down. Lauren, what do you think about a guy that tans?
Not much. No, no, no. I mean, I say go for it. You don't have a problem with it. If it were my boyfriend, he wouldn't hear the end of it. Even if you were getting married, see, I'm the exact same way and I'm so anti, but I'm like, dude, I understand where he's coming from. The wedding thing's different because if he wants to look good. That's the only thing I think I would ever be okay with. Okay, so you want him to look good for your wedding. Yeah, I want him to feel good. Therefore, tanning makes him look good. So wouldn't... He looks good without it, but he would feel better if that's how he feels. By that logic, wouldn't tanning make him always look better? Well, no, because it's winter and he gets tan in the summer anyway, just from being out. So maybe I tan from like January to March. But you're going to be on the radio. Why do you need to be tan? Yeah, because there's a webcam in my face. This webcam is awful. And I look like Casper. I'm going today. I'm going after our movie. I'm going tanning. I will report in tomorrow. You're going to be really sunburned. Done. Yeah, make sure you bring a sock for this. Do I need lotions of any kind? I am not gay. I never have been gay. I just tan. I did it. What? What? That doesn't surprise me. Mikey, why would you need to do it? You're permanently tanned. Yeah. Isn't it built into your genetics? Yeah, yeah. A Latin guy going to the tanning salon. First of all, never call me Latin again. Okay? My name is Miguel. Can we...
Can we please get that out of the way right now? I didn't want to say Mexican. Yeah. Well, that would be dirty. I'm actually Mexican, though. That's the thing. Is that offensive? Yeah, Mike. This is my Latin friend, Mike. This is my Mexican buddy. What sounds better? I'm Mexican. What are you going to do? Does that sound better? Yeah. That is Latin. I expect him to say, like... Yeah, exactly. That was really nice Spanish. Thank you. I'm not a very tan Mexican, though. You're pretty tan. No. You're really tan compared to the three of us. Yeah, compared to us. Jay's tan. Let's go arm to arm. Actually, he's not. It's the same color. It's the same color. We're the same pigmentation. Maybe I'm Latin. I am really white. Yeah, you are. It's a curse. Lauren's the whitest of us. What? You are. Are you Irish? She's not whiter than I am. What are you? What am I? Yeah. I'm a woman. Okay. I'm a woman. I got a bunch of European descent in there. I've got Irish, Polish, English. It's got blue eyes and blonde hair. You look Irish. Blonde hair, blue eyes. But that's not that white. It's pretty white. No, it's not. Come on. Put your arm next to me. You're Whitey McGee, dude. Come on. He's got arm hair to cover it up. The three of us are so white. It's not even comparable. I'm everything white about.
English, Scottish, Welsh, Polish or something. When I was 28, I was working at the other station, and I wasn't making very much money, and I got a job at a tanning salon. I've worked at a tanning salon, too. You have? Amazing. What? In college. Okay, that's a different story. Why did you not say that already? It's a different story altogether. Because now we're really being open with one another. We're at a different level of trust. A million times worse than going. A different level of trust. You have to tan by definition of working there. No, I never tanned once. You know why I worked there. Yes. I was in college. You did tan. I made like $3 an hour. I wanted to meet girls. And got 3,000 phone numbers. I'm being honest. I am too. I wanted to meet girls. I got zero phone numbers. Oh, I got a bunch. Well, I know. You're cute, dude. That's why. Okay, you're good looking. All right? Woodsy is 6'1". I'm 4'2". All right? You're not 4'2". Yeah, I'm like tattoo. All right? There's a big difference between the kid and the kid. I loved it. All right? I loved it. No, but I worked there. The kid and the tot. Yeah, the kid and the tot. But I worked there, and I was like, well, I work here, so I'll, you know. Yeah, I'll meet girls. I'll dabble. I met a lot of girls. I met a lot of them. In fact, I met literally thousands of them. I made out with exactly zero of them.
He made out. I scheduled them into beds one through ten. How many did you French kiss? How many did you French kiss? Did you French or did you attack? Did you French? That's so gross. Never say that again. I Frenched her. I just immediately think saliva. Yeah, lizard. That's so gross. Yeah, we Frenched. Sure did. Hey, how'd your date go last night? It was good, man. I Frenched her. You did. I did. Were you in the car? We were in the car. We were Frenching. We were Frenching. It was amazing. That's so gross. That is so awful. Oh, boy. Here's a text we just got from M1 Pro Tech. It says, does Woods live here or is he going back and forth between here and Texas? Yeah, I drive in every morning. It's a 22-hour drive. He goes home, sleeps for an hour, comes back. He comes back. Yeah, I live here. I live here in North Park. That's right. A lot of people want to know if we're going to be doing a meet and greet, and we are. We are going to do a meet and greet. We're just getting it together. Our program director says it will be soon. He wants us to get our sort of get the other stuff out of the way first, and then we'll be able to do that. He has the coolest radio voice I've ever heard. Yeah. Our program director, Garrett.
He says, just get the show down a little bit first, and then he's going to do the meet and greet. Where is Garrett? I haven't even seen him this morning. He's on vacation. What? He's on vacation. Thanks for tuning in. He's on his way right now to a nice little vacation. Cabin, I think, with his wife. Babe, I ever tell you about the time I got my start back in 85, back in Philly? Yeah, Garrett, you told me a couple times. I did tell you that, didn't I? Yeah. About the time I hired Mikey, did I tell you about that one? Well, it just happened, so pretty rare. I guess I must have told you about that one then. Yeah, well, I was there. You know, one time I worked in Detroit, did I tell you about that? The time I was working in Detroit? Yeah, I think I know about Detroit. I told you about Detroit already. That was before here, yeah. Babe, did I tell you about Philly? I mentioned that one already, didn't I? That's where we met, yeah. We met in Philly over at Cheesesteak. Let me tell you about the time I met Mikey for the first time. He walked in soon as I saw him. I already told you that I was here. I was home with the kids. That's fine. I forgot about that. And he's on the air now, so I know that it just happened. What about WTTY over there in Philly? Well, babe, I made you a sandwich. Well, we were at that station in Philly. Every time you woke up in the morning, I gave you the sandwich and you were off to work. It was a special one. Yeah, thanks.
He's got the best radio voice. He really does. That's right. Well, I can't speak that way. But what I can tell you is that I have a bunch of stuff I have not got to that I have to before we get out of here. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to tell you all about the Parkview Bombers. Do you know who this is? That's a terrorist group. No, dude. Parkview Bombers. That's what I thought. No. It's actually the name of the Little League team. That won the Little League World Series. Yep. Right here in San Diego. Chula Vista. Chula Vista. I was a Little League coach. Did you guys know that? Were you really? I was. I was. Were you also a mailman? Hey, it's called being a renaissance man. That's right. Nine lives. Tanning salon. Tanning salon. Bartender. Yeah. Sales guy. Uh-huh. On air. That's right. That's not very many things. That's a lot. My resume's long. So is my rap sheet. That's true, too. That is true. I'd say that's longer. I wish in their background check, they would have just checked the tanning salons you worked at. When we come back, we have a list of things that should be banned from this world. And you're going, like what? Like, what do you mean? Well, one of the things on here is mascara. Is it white?
Not Mascara. What is it? It's Guy Liner. I like Mascara. I like Mascara. I like Mascara. It's really good. I just want Mascara. Mascara. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Federally insured by NCUA. Now, more of the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Is it? It's a good job. I always sing this song at home, and my wife hates the song. Really? Ow! Who was I talking to? I talked to somebody yesterday, and they did the thing where they go, dude, I love your new show. And I go, oh, thanks. He goes, I really like the sound of Sierra's voice. Poor Sienna. It's funny. That's one of the compliments I get. And when I was younger, that's what I was made fun of the most. You sound like a boy. Really? Your voice is all raspy. Yeah. What about? Okay. Thank you, Jay. That's creepy, Jay. Uh-oh. Jay. Did he call her Sierra? Sierra. He said Sierra.
No one ever, I mean, no one gets it. What are they going to call your sisters? Like, Waverly. I've never heard of a girl named Waverly. Everyone calls her Wavy. Wavy. And what about the other one? As a nickname? Avalon. Avalon, I think, Avalon's unforgettable. She is hilarious. Yes, she is. Do I have the list? Yeah, it was a little creepy. She's like 14. She's just got a look on his face like, oops, oh, wow. Over the line, maybe. I said she's hilarious. Yes. Yeah. She's a star. She made me laugh. She makes me laugh. Okay, where's my list? Where's my list? Do I have the list of the... Things that should be banned. Yeah, the things that should be banned. Jay's coming in. I lose everything. I lose everything. I just gave it to you. And then... There it is. Yay. Jay's like, I'm done. Tape it to his forehead. He's going to no call, no show tomorrow. I do not agree with some of these. I agree with some of these. Things that should be banned. Trucks with nads. Love them. Oh, my God. That is hilarious. Did Lauren O'Brien just say, love them? I love them. You like the trucks with the testicles on the hitch? I don't care about the truck, but I like the testicles swaying to and fro. On the hitch. Yeah, they're hilarious. Swaying to and fro. Swaying to and fro.
It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen in my life. I love it. It's the most ridiculous thing ever. It's hilarious, yeah. Things that should be banned. Nickelback. Yeah. 100%. Is that the same thing as Creed or is that a different band? It's actually a different band. I like Nickelback. I like Nickelback. I don't like the lyrics, okay? I agree with my former program director that the lyrics are lame. Yes. They're beautiful. They're not beautiful. They are. You won't even... I don't even know what he said. Chad Kroger's in studio. That was great. It was like he was here. That's what he says, right? He does. He says he's so for sure. No, he's good. Oh, he's not. Let's see. Let me find one. There's one. I remember one music video of Nickelback that showed his girlfriend getting in a car accident or something, and it was so good. The song was so good. See, now you're talking me out of it. He and Todd have the same hair. Excuse me. No, they do not.
You know what it is? You know why I like Nickelback? I'll tell you why. I think that the melodies are nice. I like the melodies. Are you Henry Mancini? Yes, thank you. I'm Henry Mancini. I like melodies. I like something when it gets stuck in my head and I can go... Yeah, Wood says it sounds like he's trying to go... I agree. You don't think he has a nice voice? No. I don't. The lyrics are dumb. I don't know if he's singing or screaming at me. Or pooping. It's kind of relaxing. Most people say Nickelback band. Band. Out. Things that should be banned. Blades. The Oakley glasses? Oakley blades. You know what I'm talking about. I like my bike glasses. You wear those, Jay? When I ride my bike, you want something that kind of wraps around your eyes so you don't get a stick in the eye. Try some goggles, pal. How about us? When I'm riding my bike down to the granola shop, I like to wear blades. When I'm going down to get some wheatgrass, I like to put my blades on. I'm on the way to Bikram Yoga. Jay does do Bikram Yoga. When I'm going to do the 110 degree yoga room, I like to put my blades on while I'm riding my bike. Whatever. I mean, come on with the blades already.
Oh, Jay does have nice glasses, though, too. Oh, yeah. He brought us some glasses that were amazing. Oh, that's the thing. Like, he's got really cool glasses, but you can't wear those really cool ones that he has while you're riding your bike. Why can't you? You can. No, they've got a rubber piece. Like, the blades have a rubber piece for the nose so they don't slide off. And then it keeps you from sweating in your eyes and all the other stuff. How sweaty do you... So they're practical. They just look ridiculous. Oh, they look ridiculous. I agree. They look ridiculous, but they are very practical. I'm not out there going, hey, did you see me riding my bike? I love the guy that wears the blades on top of his hat. Ah, yeah. Because that's amazing. How about the guy that wears the blades backwards on his hat? Amazing. The back of his head. Just firing squad for those guys, I think. Just grab them and round them up. I think the white sunglasses, too, while we're talking about sunglasses. I hate white sunglasses. I do, too. I'm not. I can't pull them off. I just can't pull them off. That's why I don't. Yeah. Because I can't do it. You can pull them off, though. Who are the ones that can pull no blood? Oh, I thought you said you can. I thought you were saying I can. Kanye can pull them off. I was wondering why you're giving me that blood. Because, yeah, because I thought you said you can pull them off, Mike. Trust me. You can pull them off. Mike, he's like, oh, yes, yes. Really? I want to, speaking of glasses. So, Lauren, why glasses today for the first time? You've never worn glasses since we've known you. I had a particularly hard time getting out of bed this morning.
So you wear contacts the rest of the time? Yeah, I wear contacts. It's never new. Blind as a bat. How hard is it to put your contacts in at 3.30 a.m.? It's impossible. They'll see me in these for the next however long we're together. You have contacts, too? Yeah. I'm blind as a bat. But you don't wear the contacts. Yes, I do. When you don't see me in glasses. You don't wear the contacts. When you don't see me in glasses, you see me in contacts. All right, Woods just handed me his glasses. I'm going to try them on. They're Armani's, by the way. Okay, thanks. Get over yourself. What does that even mean, though, when people try on other people's glasses? Oh, no, no, no. Let me see. blind. No, no, no. I can't. Jay, hold up fingers. I can't see. No, it's a blob. Me neither. I can't see fingers. When you guys take your glasses off, you can't see. I can tell that you have a nose and a head. It looks like you have black stuff running down your face, but it's your goatee. I just put the glasses on. Take them off because they'll mess your eyes up. I think I might throw up. I don't let other people try my glasses off. I need LASIK, dude, so bad. Why? I'm afraid their head's going to stretch them out. I have a big head. Such an old wife's tale. No way. It happens. Maybe you just have a big head. Can you tell a story about the clothes before we move on? I can't see you. Are you looking at me? Yes. What? Can you tell the story about the clothes? What clothes? I think that was me. Was that you? That was me. I despise anyone wanting to borrow my clothes. And it's because they stretch them out.
Not because of that. I just don't want anyone's body in my clothes. And people always go straight to my closet and I was thinking, borrow something. And I'm like... Guys don't have that issue. No. I don't think. Hey, Mikey. Yes. There's no way they're stretching out her top. There's no way. People actually say that to me. I do know why. No, Jay, I actually know why. My sister's the only ones I'll let borrow something. I love them. Yeah. Because they gallop in your family. They don't run in the family. They gallop. That's right. Things that should be banned. Pink jerseys. Absolutely. 100%. Why? There's no pink football team. So you don't like when girls wear pink jerseys? I think it's kind of hot. I'm very anti-pink in general. You are? I think it's kind of hot. I love. I said I'm going to wear a pink shirt to her wedding. She almost fell out of her chair. I don't even wear pink colors. No, it's pink. It's not salmon, it's pink. You already wore a pink shirt. Pink is not a new white. Pink is the new white, by the way. Pick up an issue of GQ. What's up? Get out of here, Giorgio Armani. Oh my gosh, that reminds me. With a Yankees hat on. I was in a meeting about a month before D-Day at the old station. D-Day? Yeah. I was in a meeting.
We were talking about, we were talking about something and I wanted to, I'm telling this story. I go, yeah. I go, a friend of mine, he's a really funny guy, really cool. I go, he's got this big gregarious personality. And I go, he's one of these guys that would wear like a pink shirt, you know. And I don't realize that one of the business people that I'm meeting with that day next to me, he goes, he goes, I'm wearing a pink shirt. And I turn to my left and look and I'm like. Oh, my gosh. Hot pink shirt. He's wearing a pink shirt, and I don't know what. I'm like, I go, this is what I did. I go, oh, no, no, no. Yours is really cool. No, yours is good. Yours is good. That's like, what if I walked around wearing boxer briefs? No problem. What's wrong with that? Nothing. That's something only men wear. Boxer briefs are an item. Pink is a color. Well, I'm giving a comparison. Pink belongs on girls. Don't tell me. Pink is sharp on dudes. Wait till you see the kid. Don't worry about me. You can't wear it to the wedding. I'm wearing it to the wedding. Now I'm not wearing a pink shirt and tie. Maybe I wear a pink suit. Woodsy can pull off. I can pull pink. But if you're tall, this is a belief of mine. No, Mike. My belief is if you're tall and you're handsome, you can wear...
Whatever. And people aren't going to go, that's ridiculous. Where do you see it? It's sharp. I'm doing it now for sure. Ronald McDonald is tall. He's not that handsome, though. She's not handsome at all. Woods is scaring me. Woods is scaring me. He wants to tan. He likes pink. And his favorite movie is Footloose. Love Footloose. He has four Yorkies. Four Yorkies. Cries at the notebook. And he always slaps me on the bottom when I walk by him. Yeah, and say good game. What's wrong with that? But I follow it up with good game. He always says good game. You have to. Slaps Jane. Stops Jay right in the bottom. And he says, hey, dude, good game, pal. We're not playing a game. It's like good show. Like, good game, buddy. It's the first thing in the morning, though. When Woodsy texts you guys. I meant yesterday. When Woodsy texts you guys. Well, not you ladies. But when Woodsy texts you, Jay, does he start it out by saying, hey, pal? I always do that. It's always hey, pal. I love it. Oh, I love it. Hey, pal. What time do you need us in tomorrow? Things that should be banned. Time sheets. Yes. Dude, let me just tell you. Here at this company, Lincoln Financial, you fill out a time sheet. I go, what do I do with this? I haven't filled out a time sheet since I worked at Domino's. It was kind of like ordering from that thing the other day, that restaurant. But we were trying to fill out the time sheets. We were like.
What are the dates? What are the weekends? I'm familiar with time sheets. I help all of you. I'll do it. I'll help you. Will you do ours every week? No, but I'll help you. We'll just sign them. Can you just bring them? I'll do something for you. What I think I'm going to do is I'm going to fill them out, the generic, the hours and stuff, because all of ours will be the same. Right. And then I'll just make copies, and then I'll hand them to you. So all you guys need to do is sign it and write your name. Oh, you're a wonderful person. That's not what you said. You didn't say anything about copying. Or maybe I just didn't listen to you. Yeah, probably. Yeah, maybe that was it. It's kind of like we're married. I feel like we are. Yesterday, I really thought you guys were married. And Sienna goes, why don't you leave me alone? Yeah, just leave me alone. Fine. Once he goes, fine. Fine. I feel like I've known him my entire life. I know. Both of these girls are like my little sister. Yeah. It's great. Things that should be banned. Basketball shoes. They're horrific. Unless you're playing basketball. No. Not even them. You have to have them playing basketball. Why can't they just wear, like, some regular running shoes? I have two of the ugliest pair. I'm going to wear them to work tomorrow. You're going to die. You're going to die. They're always high top, and they're always shiny. You know why? Because your ankles. It's ankle support, yeah. Get a brace. Things that should be banned. Oh, man. This one's fantastic, and I was shamed out of this. Uh-oh. Jeans shorts on guys. Jorts. Jorts. Jorts.
I was shamed out of them. Guarantee you, Mike, he has 15 pair of multicolored. He's like, hurry, honey, get him out of the house. No, not now. Get him out of the house before they come home. With the carpenter ring on him for your hammer. Oh, my God. Where are you going, dude? You going to build a house? I thought we were going to the mall. You building a dog house? What are you doing later? Mall. You put the thing up in a tree for us? Should we go play in it later? I've never owned a pair. Yes, you have. I swear to God, I've never owned a pair. They used to be cool, but they're not anymore. Cargo and army shorts, always. Those are not cool anymore either. Wait, where's Jay? Really? No. Everyone here wears, like, plaid shorts. Can I please break later? Yeah. No, I have to get it now. She's going to rip the cargo forever. The cargo's not done to Texas. Oh, I want to get to more of these. Are we done? No, but Jay says I have to go now. Jay, gosh, you're like the bearer of bad news. Hammer. Just kidding. It is. Well, when we come back, I'll give you more of these.
This is safety suit. When we come back, more things that should be banned. And call us and tell us things that you think should be banned. 570-1949. The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. James Morrison music off the air. Lauren loved it. I did. Woodsy hated it. Sienna loves it. Yep. Woodsy hated it. Yeah. Why? I don't like guys that sing like this. Why? That's how you sing. I just know it is not. Them's fighting words. I'm just going to fight. It's fine. But that's the way his voice sounds, won't he? Blows air to it. There's so much going on. There's so much going on. It gets hard to breathe. But all my faith has gone. You bring it back to me. Out. Make it real for me. Yeah, girl. Yeah. Yeah, it does have a little bit of that like Jordan Knight aspect going on. Did he just talk you out of it? Well, the more I heard it. You just shamed her right out of liking a song. I did.
No, the more he goes on it. I'm still with you, Mike. I need to do. I need to. He's going to brainwash you. She's easily brainwashed. Things that should be banned. Let's take a couple of calls, too, because people are calling in about the things that should be banned. Eric, are you there? Mikey. M1 Eric. What's up? How you doing? Good. I used to listen to the old show. I tried really hard to listen to the old show. Don't say anything negative about the old show. I'm not going to say anything negative. I'm not going to mention any names, okay? But I used to make it a point to listen on Fridays, you know, at the end of the show because I like listening to your testimony. I really enjoyed that a lot. But today I have laughed more listening to your show than I've laughed at the other show. Oh, well. And you guys are sounding so great together. And Dave Matthews is killing me. You're killing me, man. And you guys are just doing so good. And I'm really happy that you're on. Thank you, Eric. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I want to put claim to M1 Big E. That's what I want to be. You're M1 Big E. I like it. Thank you very much. Alan has something that I have that he says needs to be banned. Go ahead, Alan. Chain Wallet. Yes. Thank you. Agreed. What are you, in a ska band, dude? Hey, listen. He's tough. What if I lose it? They're hideous, dude.
Thank you. I love them, and I don't want to lose my wallet. You can't wear it to the wedding. Why not? Because it's the only thing that will go in my jeans. Are you going to wear a suit? Yes, I'm going with him. We're going to get him tailored. Men's wear. I will take you. You'll like the way you look, Mike. I guarantee it. You're going to need a little suit. I guarantee it. Yep. I got it. But the chain wallet. First of all, did you just say... Get a little suit. I didn't mean it. Yes, you did. First of all, you meant it. Get a little suit. Get yourself a little suit, little guy. Little tiny suit. You're a little man. No, I got it. I would have said it. It's so cute. Your little legs will go in the little suit, won't they? How about your little arms? Can you get your little arms? Yeah, can you get your little arms come out? Look at those things. Real quick. I didn't mean to say little. That's what she said. You're going to need to get a huge, huge suit. That's even better. Just a giant. See if they have a sale that they can actually tailor into a suit for you. See if a tent maker can make you a suit, Mike, for my wedding, you know? Mike, can you just get a suit for the wedding? Mike, do you know any carnies that you can borrow an outfit from for when you come to my wedding? You really don't have a suit? No.
No, I do not. Yes, you do. No, I'm telling you, I don't. Rebecca already told me. I'm telling you, I don't. He's been in radio 22 years. We could wear potato sex. We wouldn't care. Excuse me. There are appearances that maybe you need to dress nicely. He wears his chain wallet. And his chain wallet. You can't wear the chain wallet. It's Jantos. You have to just. It's George's shirt, a station T-shirt, chain wallet. I had to get a chain wallet because I literally would lose my wallet. And let me tell you. I'll tell you how uncool my chain wallet is. Grow up, Peter Pan. Come on, dude. Keep checking your wallet. This wallet is made of like the dumb fanny pack material. Hey, that's practical. There's nothing wrong with that. It's almost cool because of how uncool it is. No. Keep telling yourself that. No. Just, if you want, you can put it in mommy's wallet. Or you can put it in mommy's purse. Yeah. I'll put it in mommy's purse. Yeah, I gotta go get a suit. I'll take you, dude. Come with the kid. I'll take good care of you. No, you're going to dress him in pink. I will not. He'll be in pinstripes. Okay? Real good. No. What, is he a gangster? Yes, he is. He's a Latino gangster. Things that should be banned. Skinny jeans for guys. Yes. 100%. Unless you are in this band. You can pull it off. No. Kings and Leon. No band. No nothing. Yeah, they can pull it off. Oh, even Kings and Leon shouldn't do it. No. They can pull it off. All right. Pull up a picture. M1 Deed. Is this M1 Deed?
This is M1 Daid. Daid, sorry. That's okay. What should be banned? I think that Crocs shoes should be banned. Crocs? Yeah, Crocs. They're ridiculous. Yeah, they are, except on four-year-olds. I think they're kind of cute on little kids. Four-year-olds. I don't even like little kids. Really? No, I think that it's mean to do it to kids. We totally have Jake and Crocs. Yeah, Jenna has a pair, Todd's a daughter. Easy to put on, easy to take off. What's the advantage of Crocs? You shouldn't submit them to... Horrible fashion. That's horrible. I have a pair. I have a pair of Crocs. Can I talk about it? Write that down. Write that down. Mikey has a pair of Crocs. Write that down. Yes, the time. What time was that? 947. I use them for gardening. Market. For what? You don't garden. I do. I grow tomatoes. You grow tomatoes. Yeah, I'm Hispanic. I'm Latin, okay? Are you going to bring the tomatoes in? I'm a big tomato. Yeah. And so I use them when I garden. And you think that's okay? Yeah, I do, because no one sees me, except my wife. That is like the go-to gardening shirt. And all your neighbors? No, no, no, backyard. You've got your Crocs and your Snuggie and your cane wallet. Wow. I put them all on at the same time. Jean shorts underneath the Snuggie. While I've just canned. Every person that gardens does, they wear Crocs, just like every cook wears clogs. Yeah. Like the chefs all wear clogs. All the nurses, yeah, nurses and doctors, they're all in Crocs now.
Let's see. Oh, M1. Is it M1 Spider? I believe it's M1 Spider. M1 Spider, are you there? Yes, I am. What's going on, guys? Not too much. What should be banned? I think that tap out shirts. Yes. What's a tap out shirt? You want a tap out shirt? I'll show you right now. My man. Pull it up. That is a great. Great call. All right. Thanks. Thank you. I'll show you a tap out. You'll know as soon as you see it. It just says tap out huge. That's it? Is it MMA? It's MMA. I've never seen it. You'll recognize it right away. But didn't Sienna just say it says tap out on it? Yeah, but there's like a certain way it's written. Yeah, it's written in a certain way. This is it. Connection's a little slow. Oh, I was like, you may want to turn that. Maybe I do it over here. Connection's a little slow. Who knows what'll happen. Here we go. See? You seen that? No. I haven't seen that. You haven't seen that? If I did, I blacked out. Yeah, because a guy probably took you down. Yeah. Took you down to Chinatown. All right. A little drop kick to the head there. That's right. Other things that should be banned. What are Teva's sandals? Oh, there's those Velcro. Velcro sandals. My dad learned. Those are tourist Velcro sandals. Yeah. Take care. Let me tell you. Take care. I do some pretty dumb stuff. I couldn't do the Teva sandals. No. I can't do it.
Unless you have hiking through a river. Jay? Jacef? He has them. Jacef has a pair. Yeah. No doubt. What am I wearing? Do you have Tevas? Sandals? I had Tevas way back, but it was only when I was, like, river rafting or something. Don't try to explain it away. They're good for river rafting. They're good for river rafting. I was swimming in yogurt, and I had to have Tevas. Yeah, back when I used to floss with alfalfa, I wore my Tevas. But that was the only time I would ever do it. I did rock some Tevas on a hike. Along the Nepali coast. Oh, well, then it must have been okay. You guys are, like, so healthy and nutritious and green. M1A town. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? Not too much. What do you think should be manned? I believe no woman should be allowed to wear UGG boots with a miniskirt. Yeah, disagree. We live in San Diego. I agree with that. Disagree. With a miniskirt? Yeah. Well, I don't want to say in anything because... I think Ugg boots are sexy on girls. I do too, but not with a miniskirt. Okay, I have a question. Because I don't think that Ugg boots should go with a miniskirt. However, I often will wear like a little sundress or something with some leggings and Uggs. Like, I won't go Uggs with bare legs. Oh, yeah. I think that a sundress with Uggs, sexy.
Sexy? Not necessarily a sundress. Like, what I'm wearing today, I have, like, a black dress and black tights, and I have my moccasins on, of course, today. But I would have worn Uggs, too. I'm crazy by thinking that sundress and Ugg boots on a girl are sexy? Yeah. Really? No. What is it, then? What? Is it lame? Is it dorky? No, I just don't like the look. It's ugly. I've got one, dude. I've got one. What? Pantyhose. What's wrong with pantyhose? Pantyhose. Hold on. Not stockings, pantyhose. I wear pantyhose. What's the difference? The jump in, pull up. Do you wear that, Lauren? Yeah. If you wear them with open-toed sandals and I can see the webbing of the pantyhose between your toes, I'll vomit. I'm wearing black pantyhose in the pictures we saw. Yeah, exactly. I don't know what I mean. Yeah, but that looks like leggings that you're wearing. Right. Leggings have no footies. They have no footies. They're open. Yeah, then you wear pantyhose. These are leggings. I hate pantyhose. Like stockings. Wait, what's the difference between stockings and pantyhose? You know who wears pantyhose? Your grandmother. Everybody's grandmother wears pantyhose. Pantyhose are those things, they look like nylons, but you pull them. Are they sheer? Oh, yeah. I wear those. You do? I think what the problem is, is if you wear them with open-toed shoes. Yes. Because you can see the toe. What do you wear that for? If I go to a wedding and I wear like a...
Formal dress. Try some stockings. I was wearing them when we took our pictures. Yeah, most dress codes for an office, you can't just have your legs all nilly-willy, loosey-goosey, hanging out. Why wouldn't you wear nylons? It's the same thing. No, it's not. One of them you put on like your grandmother's. One at a time. And then you have these little clips that clip on. No, no. And we put our gun in the little holster there. Don't you guys wear like the stock? Okay, never mind. M1 Mac. Hey, yeah, just want to say this show is awesome. Thank you. But socks with sandals should definitely be better. 100%. 100%. Especially with the Teva sandals. Mikey's silent right now. Mikey. When I was in rehab. Mikey, you'll eat it. When I was in rehab, I had a friend from Dallas that was in there, that I met in there, and he wore socks with sandals. It wasn't me. It wasn't you. But I thought it was the coolest thing. Coolest? Oh, yeah. I thought it was cool. So I did it once when I got back and I was shamed. I was shamed. Immediately. Immediately. I was shamed so harshly. It was like being disciplined harshly. I was shamed so harshly. I never did it. I've been shamed out of so many things. I was shamed so bad out of the jean shorts. Yeah.
Thank God. I threw them away. Like, I threw them away. Good. In the garbage can. How many colors did you have? I didn't have colors. Black, white. You had black and white. I didn't. I don't like black jeans. I've never liked black jeans. Bleens? I don't like bleens. I like black jeans. Nope. Don't wear them. Zero. I like them for girls. Does anybody think that Ed Hardy should be banned? 100%. Get rid of every Ed Hardy shirt that was ever made. And maybe graphic tees, too. Affliction? Yeah, get rid of that. It's over, man. I'm sorry. They're too flashy. You guys were in. I never liked big dragons and unicorns on my shirts. I'm pretty plain, dude. And they're like $200. Yeah, and I was for $200 for a dragon clawing a baby rabbit. With sparkles on it. With giant bedazzles and affliction. I don't need it, dude. I'm out. I'm out. Why are you going to get the baby rabbit? Come on. P1 cream soda or M1 cream soda. Sorry. How you doing? What's up? First of all, I just want to say you guys are doing great on the show so far. I love it. Thanks, brother. Thank you. Good chemistry. I just wanted to say I went to Disneyland recently, and I have started seeing this more and more, and it definitely needs to go.
Parents to keep their kids on the leash. The leash bit. Yes. That's really strange to me. The leash bit. The leash is strange. I get it. I have five dogs. I don't get it. I get it. Yeah, I get it if you have five dogs. I get it. I don't get it if you have one kid. But I just don't think it looks good. Oh, it's weird. It's strange, isn't it? Like, get over here. Yeah. But what if you had a kid that just always wandered around? Like me? You should hold their hand then. You hold their hand. Exactly. Or pick them up. Put them in a wagon. But a leash is a leash. That's the problem. A leash? I mean, it doesn't matter how you... put it. It's a leash. They go to the bathroom in their diaper. What? A kid. Let's see. M1 John. John, are you there? Jonathan. Go ahead. Sorry. I absolutely hate the people who walk around all day long and they're never anyone important who has the Bluetooth earpiece. It's stuck in their ear. I mean, if President Obama doesn't need one, you know, the local guy at the mortuary doesn't need one. We're in the movie theater. I think you could take it off. What if you're talking on it? Because I go into Starbucks in the morning talking, and I'll be talking to my brother, and I'll have it in. I'm talking to him. Is it okay? Isn't that the issue? Like, they walk around, and they look you straight in the face, and they're saying something, and you're like, yo, man, you talking to me? You talking to me? See, I don't like Bluetooth guy.
That isn't on the phone. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I don't like the problem. How do you ever know that? I'm like, hey, greetings, dude. Beam me up. And then all of a sudden they start talking loud. You're like, wait, wait. I'm right here, bro. You don't need to start yelling. And they're like, no, sorry. Talking to Uncle Bob, you know. You're like, what? I get it. I get it. Thank you, Jonathan. I get annoyed when I see people on the phone. On the phone? Cell phone. Yeah. So did that cop yesterday. Yeah. The one that pulled you over because you were on it. Not knowing that you have to have the Bluetooth in California. Well, I'm not buying a Bluetooth. Yeah, you are, dude. You're going to get in trouble. You're just not going to talk on the phone in the car? Didn't say that. No. See, he's a rule breaker. He's going to be... Kid doesn't like to be told what to do. He doesn't. Kid does not like to be told what to do. Doesn't like it. Hey, don't we have to, like, go? Are we done? I don't know. Don't we have a movie to go to? Yes. Mikey's giving some guided tour here in a minute, so... We lead a tough life here. We do. Got to go to that movie, man. We're going to be late. Jay, we need you. Is that all she wrote? Are we, like, signing off? Yes, 10 o'clock. Okay, so we're signing off? We're saying goodbye. Oh, well, then I need to play this. Because that's a going away music. All right, we got to go. We're going to go see a movie later today. All of us, this is a show, and then we're going to talk about what we thought of it tomorrow. We're going to go see The Book of Eli.
Don't stop it. It's going to be great. Wait, wait till Sienna picks next week. I can't wait. Miss Congeniality 4. You already know what it's going to be and you're going to love it. All right, we got to go. Later. Talk to you tomorrow. Mike shows out later. The lovely Hillary is coming up next. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9.
