The Mikey Show - FM 94.9 - 02/12/10

Friday 2/12/2010
Poor Mikey, he barely starts the show and the cast is zinging off short jokes at him. The Cargo short debate just won’t end, so Sienna suggests a poll be put up on M1 Site and Danny wasted no time. Mikey gives his take on Danica Patrick, then Woodsie’s insecurities about Seany O’big coming back to take his job resurfaces. Bromance duo M1 Sanjaya and The Kid then discuss their date where they exchanged pleasantries (and furtive glances I presume) over steaks and beers. Then it’s time for M1 dating game with M1Site’s very own M1Tim going up against an Irish Elvis impersonator with big biceps. Sadly, Megan did not pick our boy Tim but probably would have if she was allowed to see the contestants. Should breast feeding be done in public was the next topic, which lead to an uncomfortable caller (a chick at that) who talked about anime breast milk porn! Dave Matthews enjoys his free grub from Windmills so much he sings them a beautiful ballad. Then the Kid Woods takes heat from everybody about his dippin’ habit. Todd, Sienna’s fiancé called in to out her poor dishwashing technique. The love song contest sees it go down to the wire with Sienna snatching victory from the jaws of defeat winning lucky clown Sanjaya yet another prize! Then Mikey and the gang bash Woods’ Valentines Mix cd. I guess Mikey wanted some Iron Maiden on there because I thought it was pretty cool. You can see it on The Kid’s blog on mikeyshow.com as well as catch the podcasts of another great week in radio.

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Come on, come on. And we got people in the studio. Love it. Got The Mikey Show Backstage Pass going on right now. What is a Mikey Show Backstage Pass? You can find out if you go to MikeyShow.com every Friday. We allow listeners in the studio. They get a backstage pass. They also have a little food brought in. It's a pretty cool deal, man. And so, yeah, we got Brock in this morning. And the other name I'm going to forget. BJ. BJ. Right on. Welcome, guys. Brock is a regular now. I know. Two days in a row. That's right. Brock brought in some cupcakes yesterday that were awesome. Brie Dick Ulus. Oh, yeah. And today's a big day, man, because today we're doing the dating game. And we're going to have Megan back in here.
It's going to be really cool. She's coming in. She's going to have two guys to choose from. We've picked a couple of guys, and she'll have two guys to choose from. And it's not Brock and BJ. That's right. So we're going to have a full house today. Yeah, we are. Full house. Yeah. 570-1949. You can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Friday's always a good day, and I want to get you in here. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show, 39 years of age, taking it easy this weekend with my wife. And we're celebrating our anniversary and Valentine's Day all at the same time. It's wonderful. Solid. Paddles. Paddles. It gets you. You know, they took a look at her neck. She went to they.com, obviously. Oh, I've been wondering. They.com. And they said that she had some sort of a strained muscle that she pulled something. And so she's doing okay, though. She's taking some meds. She's doing all right. I think she's going to get better. It's probably lugging those kids around all day, man. I was thinking too many hickeys. Yeah, that could be it, too. All the hickeys have actually pulled a muscle. All the Latino hickeys I give her. She carries that papoose around her neck, and she's got a kid in there. She's probably just got a drain on you after a while. Yeah, that. And it does take a lot out of you when I try to spell the word mine in hickey. Mine. In hickey. On her neck. On her neck.
She tries to lean way over, too. That's right. She has to lean down. Aw. Lean down. Man, Jay is getting you. Get on an apple crate. That's right. While I stand on an apple crate that's balancing on top of some phone books, I'm short. Mark it. Shut it. Mark it. There, you guys. That's great. Woodsy is our boy, man. He's our sports guy. He's 34 years of age. Man, he's something else. He's got something written in his recap email today that's just something else about his car. I can't imagine. I'll tell you about that in a little bit. Dude, I got to tell you, I'm kind of bummed out it's Friday. I know it, right? Because I don't get to hang with you guys until Monday. I'm thrilled. What are you talking about, lady? I'm just kidding. I'm like bummed. I'm like, sit around for like two days before I can get back to work. If it wasn't romantic weekend.
I'd tell us, I'd say, hey, you guys want to get some food? And Lauren would be like, I can't. Sienna, there's this thing I have to go to. But yeah, my boyfriend's going to be doing something dot, dot, dot. And me, I'm just like, hey, what's everybody? I'm like the cable guy. Yeah. You guys want to hang out? I mean, whatever you want to do. Whatever you want to do. We're looking at shoes. Sienna said she needs to go look at shoes this weekend. I don't have any shoes for the wedding yet. I have nothing to do. Really? You can come with me. I'll go with you. You'd be a good shoe shopper. I'm like, Woods, we're going to like a maintenance supply store. Pick me up, dude. Pick me up. I'll help you carry the bleach out of the car. Lauren is our assistant producer, and she bears with us. I think that's a good way to describe it. She bears with us. Get out of here. She'd had it yesterday in the office. We were still talking about... The discussion was still going on. I don't know if I can call it a discussion so much as a bickering fest. She packed her stuff and left of going somewhere else. She came back in like five minutes later. We were still discussing it. She goes, you guys are still talking about this? I'm out.
We had a big debate about cargo shorts and whether or not they're cool. I got a lot of heat for that because I said, you know, they used to be cool. They're not cool anymore. And I even made a phone call to order groomsmen gifts. This is what a nice future wife I am because he can't do it. And I ordered groomsmen gifts for him. And the guy said, oh, and by the way, I wear cargo shorts. Mikey, I told you we were still cool, dude. Matt said he was going to call into the show yesterday and say that he was bringing cargo shorts back. Really? Back. See, you need to bring them back. You shamed him right out of his cargo shorts, right? I know, but I think it was his way of taking a stand. Yeah. Good for him, dude. Maybe he's taking his cargo shorts back. And he's going to say to you, listen, you can't shame me out of them. I'm taking them back and I'll bring... Maybe he's bringing cargo back. Like I said, dude, I set the trends. I don't follow them. No, you don't. I'm bringing them back. Cargo shorts were just in like...
a year or two years ago. Now they're not, so you can't bring them back right away. You have to give it a few years. I think cargo shorts are kind of timeless. They are timeless. It's a carpenter's. It's called a classic look. A carpenter's. If you're going to have a hammer hanging out of your shorts, maybe. They're not jean shorts with the hammer rope on them. They might as well be because the pockets are so big on the side you could fit an entire hammer in it. Sienna is our news girl. Sienna's our news girl. He'll explain after the year with a diagram and a doll. Oh, my goodness. A picture. Oh, please. Please don't. Yeah. Sienna's our news girl. She's 24 years of age and just as sweet as pie. Really? Yes. Sometimes. Well, listen, you two have your things, you know. I'm sweet to most people. Woods, man, he knows how to push the buttons. You both do with each other. Yeah. Not like you don't. That's true. This is true. Woodsy wrote in his recap email, he says, Great day yesterday. Another great show in the books. I love fighting with Sienna. Both of those girls are like my sisters already. It's so weird. Lauren's like my older sister, though. What? Yeah. Even though I'm older than her. I don't know how to take that. And Sienna is totally a little sister. Yeah. 100%. Well, Lauren, you're very mature. She's very mature. I am? Yeah, you're pretty mature.
Well, you walked out of the office yesterday because there was too much bickering. You know what I mean? You guys are still talking about this. I'm leaving. I don't know if that makes me mature or just irritated. It's like when you're eight and your older sister's like 11 and she's mature. Right, mature. And she's like, you guys being immature, I'm leaving. She's like my older sister. Yeah, it's the truth. Sienna is my little sister that I kind of have to watch out for, but she also kind of has to watch out for me. Yeah. We pester each other. We do. But if anybody ever messed with you, they'd be dead. Just dead. 570-1949. 570-1949 is our phone number. Beginning and end of every show, we open the phones up for you to do whatever you want. Call about whatever you want. 949mikey at gmail.com. Let me tell you something. The tide has turned. I am so, so grateful. For a lot of FM 94.9 listeners that in the beginning were really didn't want to have anything to do with us that are now changing their minds and digging the show. That means a lot to me. They're really, really, really passionate fans. And I like that. I love that. They all have passion about the station and music, which is great. It's a great station. It's a phenomenal station. It is the... Listen.
There's no doubt about it. It is the coolest station in San Diego. No question. Just cool. Mm-hmm. No cargo shorts here. Okay? Wait a minute. You said you wear cargo short wearing. Well, Owen, our promotions guy, said no on cargo shorts. Yeah, he did. He did. Killed it. He writes the book on cool. He'll be wearing them this summer. Oh, stop. Just get them a pair. I'm going to. You should. It's like I bought Matt a fogless mirror. I'm going to be handing out cargo shorts all summer long. That's awesome. M1 Steve. Yo, Mikey Show, what up? What's up, dude? M1 Steve-O. Hey, so I want to know, are you guys going to be watching on Sunday either the Olympics or the Daytona 500? If I had to choose between the two? Neither. Yeah. If I had to choose between the two, I'd watch racing. Yeah. I would watch the Olympics. If figure skating's on, I would watch that. You got to support your boy Jimmy Johnson plus Danica Patrick. Oh, yeah. Dude, Danica Patrick is going to be in the Daytona 500. I love her. It's the first time a woman's ever raced in the Daytona 500. Is she any good or is she just good looking and people play her up? I think she's decent. I don't think she's... No, I may be going... This may be totally false. But I think the deal is she hasn't won very many races. I think that's the deal.
But she's a good driver. I mean, she comes in. For a woman, I think she's a really good driver. Well, she's not, like, putting her makeup on in the mirror. Look at Lauren. Immediately, Lauren is like, oh, my gosh. I'm really jealous, I think, of Danica Patrick. Absolutely. So am I. I'm just like, dude, she's so cool. Like, why couldn't I think of doing that? She's really pretty and remarkable. You know why you couldn't race cars? Why? The steering wheel is, like, this close to your chest. There's no way. I can't fit. You make one turn right into the wall. That's right. Damn. Darn it, you're right. She'd like airbags, though, so she would be safe. She'd be very safe. Safety cushions. That's right. Thank you, M1 Steve. All right, later, guys. Later, brother. See you. Yeah, 570-1949 and 949mikey at gmail.com. Former President Bill Clinton went to the hospital. He did, yesterday. But he's all right. He's all right. He actually already left this morning. So don't panic. He's out of the hospital. But he underwent an angioplasty surgery. He had a blocked artery. And I don't know if you remember, like five years ago, he had a quadruple bypass surgery. And one of the arteries was clogged. So he was having some chest pains over the last few days. They raced him in there. His wife came. His daughter was there over in New York. And he was just released today. It was an hour-long surgery. I thought it was a shot of penicillin. Maybe he needed it.
You know who used to love him a lot was my sound effects guy, Sean. He was a big Bill Clinton guy. How is Sean, man? I miss that guy. I wish you were here. He's great. He's so cool. He's great. He's the coolest. Well, you know, Woodsy gets like that whenever I mention Sean. Because you talk about him all the time. Every day I hear some comparison. I don't compare. Off the air you do. Off the air I don't compare. In your own little way. Maybe the picture on your desk has something to do with it. Mikey, what did Woods do to that picture on your desk yesterday? Well, he turned it upside down. He turned it so that on my desk, he took my personal affect and he turned it upside down so I couldn't see Sean. And I said, okay, I see what you're doing here. I see what you're doing, but I'll turn it right back up. I know you did. Didn't Wood say he was going to go out and get like a Nacho Libre mask or something? No, I'm not going to copy. Well, in the photograph, Sean is wearing a Nacho Libre mask, which is hysterical, isn't it? Of course it is. It's so funny. It's just so funny. The best thing about it is that written on the frame a hundred times, all it says is amigos, amigos, amigos. In case you didn't know. That's what Sean and I are. Amigos. And we're just coworkers. No. We're buddies. We're associates.
M1 Sasquatch is on the line. Hi, Sasquatch. Hey, how's it going? You guys are talking about Danica Patrick, and I ran into her in a Home Depot. Get out. Des Moines, Iowa, of all places. And she was cool with me, but my girlfriend was wearing a Jeff Gordon shirt. She loved Jeff Gordon, and she would not talk to her. She was actually rude to her. Really? Wow. She told my girlfriend that her anus smelled like broccoli. What? No. I'm out on Danica Patrick. You just sold me. That just sold me. Yeah. Maybe it meant that your girlfriend was funny or she was funny. I was going to do it. I was practicing and you beat me to it. Want to hear what Sienna's finally worked up to? So nervous. Come on, let's try it. I love it. Intellectual comedy over here. What is this sound effect? And I can't, I couldn't do it. Lauren is shaking her head. Like, it's like a puzzle to Lauren. So above all of it. She's eating wheat stalks and just shaking her head. I've never heard a sound effect like that before. So he had to show me how to do my lips and how to... Lauren's like, I'll be over here eating raw barley.
Well, they would go all day back and forth. They did yesterday in the office. Yesterday in the office, it was an instructional. I actually literally dropped my keys on the floor. I said, you ready? You ready? Okay, I'm bending down. She had a dying laughing. He did it to himself yesterday, too. Yeah, he did. It's a preemptive. Because I always do the, you know, like that. But I like the. It's much more subtle and classy. This happens back in the office yesterday where Woodsy bends over and gives himself a... And Sienna dies laughing. Lauren, dead quiet. At her computer, no emotion, totally emotionless, working on her computer. She wanted to laugh on the inside. She's my older sister. Yeah. Who thinks I'm an idiot. Yeah. I'm not your sister that's like, teach me the noise. Teach me the noise. Buy me some beer. Teach me the noise. I'm more of a that's fan. That's is brilliant. Let's see. So 570-1949. Call us right now for anything you want. Do you drive a Prius? No. You do not. I don't. You do not.
Lauren doesn't drive a Prius, but would love one. She said that she was on the waiting list, you know, right? You got to be on a waiting list to get them. You do. I don't know if you still do, but at the time you did. So what's the deal, Sienna, with the Prius? Well, we announced a couple of days ago that the Prius is among eight and a half million Toyota vehicles that were recalled for problems with their gas pedals and brakes. Now, Steve Wozniak, you know who Steve Wozniak is, right? The co-founder of Apple. He is now the voice of concern saying, I have a Prius, a 2010, and there are some serious problems with the cruise control. Apparently, when you're on the freeway and you set your car to cruise control, it accelerates. And he explains that it's taking you on a wild ride. That's horrible. And when you're on cruise control, obviously, it shouldn't be accelerating. It shouldn't be slowing down. It should be going the same speed. Right. But now he's voicing his concern. You know, Prius, Toyota hasn't acknowledged this yet, but he's making it known. This cruise control thing is an issue. No one's listening to me. This needs to be checked out. You know what they should do? What? Just make it wireless. Yeah. They should. You know, at Apple, we're actually trying to work on that right now. We're designing something specifically for the Prius because what we did was we brought one in. Brought one in to the Marple design studio and I took a look at it. Right. And I said, this is wonderful, but...
With the cruise control sticking like that, somebody could end up in Wyoming before they know it. Yeah, just keep going. Because you just keep driving, right? Right. So what do you do? We took a look at it and we said we've got a simple solution. It was there in front of us the whole time. What was it? You do it wirelessly. Wireless cruise control. I didn't even think of that. No one thought of it. That's awesome. Bill Gates didn't think of it. You guys are brilliant over there at Mapple. Mapple gets it. Yeah, Mapple gets it. That should be the new slogan. That is it. That's the new slogan. Mapple gets it. Lauren, did your parents ever get back to you and let you know in New Jersey whether the power came back on? They did. They were without power for 23 hours. Oh, my goodness. Which I'm told that that's not even that bad compared to what some people had back there. Do you know what the temperature is there? Like, without power, without heat? It's one. One? Probably like a degree, one degree. Well, I know they took everything out of their fridge and put it on the deck in the snow to keep it cold. We've done that. It's the worst. Oh, my God. I've never lived that life. We've done it. We did it in Connecticut. I've never had to deal with snow. It's worse. Wow. I lived in Rochester, New York, and it was like that. Oh, yeah. They get like 30 feet of snow up in upstate New York. It's ridiculous. It's awful. It's awful. Well, they're supposed to get more on Monday night is what my mom said. Yeah. It's like never ending.
And did you say Dallas, too? I got a text from my wife this morning that said there has been 13 inches of snow in Dallas. That's insane. That's insane. I have five dogs. None of them have gone outside in three days. How do you go? What do you do? They go right outside to the concrete and pee on the concrete. They won't go in the yard. They're probably like, what? What is this? Oh, my gosh. In the rain here, my dog won't even go outside. Well, that's perfect for San Diego. Not happening. I'm going to go in the house. Must be a native San Diegan. Yeah. She is. She is born and raised. M1 Nation's calling in. 570-1949. We got M1 MacGyver on the line. What's up, dude? Hey, can we call Wood Sean number two? There you go. I don't like number two, dude. I'm number one. Sean number two. Numero uno. Let's see. So the blizzard. Oh. How about this? There is one NFL team. Of course, there is one NFL team that is going to be working out Pac-Man Jones. Wow. How about that? And Woodsy will tell us who it is next.

Now, back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. That is a jam, dude. It's growing on me like crazy. It's from the new Switchfoot album. Hello, Hurricane. Getting some text messages in here. M1 Jason wrote in and said, Mikey, Danica is actually racing in the Nationwide Series on Saturday night. She's not in the Daytona 500. Which is a big difference. As your sports guy, I knew that. Of course. You know I knew that. Of course you did. Mikey, I wear cargo shorts every summer for work. I work in construction installation. Hammer.
Acceptable. Yeah. He says, my wife bought me plaid black and gray white shorts to wear during non-work hours. Cargo equals great for work. Plaid equals great for style. Yeah. Sounds like a perfect little combo there. That's my boy. M1 avocado. Well, you can wear them to work then, Woods. Yeah. I can have my snuff here, my cigs here. Your headphones hanging out of one pocket. My headphones hanging out of one pocket. Yep. My hammer. That's right. Now you've got to place it. Get your laptop. Exactly. Got a place to hang in. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? There's a ton, man. This weekend is absolutely packed with sports. Top story, obviously, the Winter Olympics begin tonight. They return to Canada for the first time since 1988. And there's always a big mystery about who's going to be the final person to light the torch. Odds-on favorite is Wayne Gretzky, Canada's all-time number one hero, bigger than the prime minister. So they don't tell you? Uh-uh.
Is he still playing? No, no. I think he owns teams now. He's a beast. So the Winter Olympics start, Lindsey Vonn, who is the very foxy. That's what you said. Yeah, she's really, really cute. She's a skier. She has a deep blood slash bone bruise in her shin. I've got some audio of her. When I tried my boot on, I was just standing in the hotel room, barely flexing forward. And it was excruciatingly painful. And I've got to try to ski downhill at 75, 80 miles an hour with a lot of forces pushed up against my shin. You know what I love about this time of year? When we do the Olympic stuff? What? Is that... This time of the year every four years? Yeah, every four years. It's always names I've never heard of in my life. Like, I've never heard of Lindsay Vaughn. She's really foxy. Yeah. Yeah. She'll be a household name for a little while. Exactly. Absolutely. For the next, however long they're on, we'll know the name Lindsey Vonn. I'd never heard of Michael Phelps in my life. And then the Olympics come around, and I know, and now everybody knows who he is. But before that, I couldn't have, and the guy was great. He said no idea. I read a, staying with the Olympic trend, I read an article about Sean White, who is absolutely the greatest snowboarder.
In the history of snowboarding. He's an absolute beast. He's a local guy from San Diego. The funny thing is they used to call him the Flying Tomato. He's got this bright red hair. They want to change his... That's what we're going to start calling Sienna from now on. I don't have bright red hair. It's your bright red face. The Flying Tomato. His buddies want to change it to Red Zeppelin. Which I love. I love. I think that's so great. Does he like Led Zeppelin or something? No, but he's the Red Zeppelin. Like the Zeppelin flying with the red hair. I think it's brilliant. I like it. I like it too. The flying tomatoes. So any Padres fans in the room? Yeah, dog. Full house. Good. Come on. So they're trying to win your hearts back. And this weekend is Fan Fest down at Petco Park, and it is free. You can go down. They're doing clinics. You can meet Tony Gwynn Jr. Heath Bell's going to be showing you how to pitch. You can tour the clubhouse. And it's free, and it starts tomorrow at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. You can meet the manager, Bud Black, and 18 former players, plus 22 current Padres players. Do you know if it's all ages?
Oh, yeah. It's all ages. It's not like a strip club or anything. You can go in, take your kids, whatever you want. So you're saying they're not doing shots with everybody? No, no. They're not doing shots. There's no lap dances. You just, you know, got to make sure. You never know. So I was actually thinking, if my day doesn't get away from me, I'm trying to go stop by and check out the scene. I've never seen Petco. You should go. It's awesome. I think I'm going to. It's awesome. So, again, the big weekend in sports. We've got the all-star game, the NBA all-star game, which is at Jerry World in my hometown of Dallas. Is that when they do the three-point shootout, the slam dunk competition? It's going to be awesome. I used to like it a lot when I was a little kid. Yeah. Remember like Jordan and Dominique and all that. I mean, now it's kind of gotten away from me. They always have guys I've never even heard of. Yeah. But it's going to be a really, really big weekend. Actually, I've got some audio of Mr. Sean White, the new Red Zeppelin that I wanted you to hear. Yeah, okay. I had put down that. first finals run and I remember looking at my scores around like a 96 and I'm just like I couldn't even describe what the feeling was at that point and I didn't want to let the kind of game face go at that exact moment. That was at his last Olympics when he pulled off his 1260 McTwist which I actually saw you and I working on in the parking lot yesterday. Yeah, Woodsy and I were.
We're working on our 1260 twist. I did a 104 McTwist. I had the McTwist for McDonald's. That I do. And so, Pac-Man Jones, the much maligned, make it rain, degenerate, criminal, got a workout with an NFL team. And that team is? The Cincinnati Bengals. Of course. Imagine that. Of course. And they're also working out Matt Jones, who was kicked off of the Jaguars for substance abuse. A guy like the cocaine. Dude, we were counting the amount of arrests of Cincinnati Bengals. It was either 8 or 13. I can't remember. It was 800 or 1300. 813. I mean, it's a lot. It's a lot of people. And Marv Lewis should probably go, well, you know. Pac-Mans are just not a guy you want to bring on your squad. You just don't. Unless you've seen a change. Unless you go, oh yeah, I've seen something that's really happened. Can a tiger change his stripes like that that quickly? It just depends. Can a bangle change his stripes? Can a bangle change his stripes? Amazing. And that is sports, my brother. We did the ban list yesterday. Caused a little bit of controversy. Things we should ban. Things that should be banned. And when we said cargo shorts.
It was World War III. You never know what's going to spark the fight between Woods and I. Something so random. Could be anything. And that's what it was. Okay. Now, you can call in with things that you think should be banned. All right. The number is 570-1949. Or you can text us. Text. It's 949mikey at gmail.com. Things that should be banned. We said popped callers. Yes. Absolutely. Which I don't see anybody popping their collar anymore. I don't know that it needs to be banned. I think it's... It's already been banned. But that's the way it comes, right? Okay, all right. That's the way it comes. He didn't pop it. He has like a track jacket and the collar sticks up. I guess it's not his fault it doesn't fold down, but it is popped. Yeah, popping a collar is when a collar can go down. You're never going to wear that jacket again, are you? No, you got shamed. Lauren just popped her collar. This is a voluntary movement here. Yes, that's voluntarily popping of the collar. Jay's got his popped.
Yeah. The Jesus fish on the back of the car. Yeah. What's wrong with that? And the Darwin thing. Just stop. Either way. Just get both of you. Yeah. Knock it off. There are folks that like to fly the Jesus fish. I'm not a Jesus fish flyer, even though I love Jesus. You love Jesus. I'm not a Jesus fish flyer. And when I see them, I'm like, yeah, okay, whatever. I never would think anything badly about it. I don't think it's bad. If you like your sports team, you put their sticker on your car. If you like Jesus, you put a fish on your car. I guess. Mikey, what about the My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter sticker? Never seen it. Are you a fan of that? You've never seen that? I've never seen it in my life. I've seen it a million times. Really? Yeah, My Boss is a Jewish Carpenter. Never seen it. What's that sticker of the little boy? Calvin. Calvin. Calvin with the Wiz. You know what he does. With the Wiz. Just say the Wiz. The Wiz. Doing things on other things. Yeah, you don't have to say that. You can just say Calvin and the Wiz and I think we... I think we get it. Yeah. Calvin and the... It's a 14-year-old boy. Come on. What about jacked up trucks? What does that mean? Oh, they're lifted? They're lifted. I'm kind of torn because I think they look kind of cool.
But I couldn't pull it off. I think one thing when I see a guy driving a huge lifted truck. What? Tiny. Yeah. Tiny. I ran across a little. Because he's overcompensating. He's overcompensating. When I first got that Honda S2000. Yeah, I remember it. I loved the S2000. And I had a friend named Tim who sang in a band. One of the coolest dudes I know. And he goes. Dude, why don't you just get an extension instead of getting that car? And I go, really? Really? I don't know what any of these things are. A jacked up truck? No. What kind of car is the Honda S2000? It was a sports car. A little sports car. They don't make them anymore. They stop making them. Tiana, do you like the jacked up truck? Because I know that you had an affinity at one time. No, I didn't. For the cowboy. What? For cowboys. The cowboy. What cowboy? Did you and your friends, did you or did you not? I knew this would come out. Did you or did you not go through a little cowboy phase? I did. In high school, I went to the rodeos. There's nothing wrong with that. There was four girls. You don't have to get so defensive. Hey, there were four girls and they all had a cowboy. We did. What? Mine's name was John. And your friends, his name was Dallas. My friends had one named Dallas. What do you mean by had one? He was my, like, we dated.
Oh, really? Yeah, when I was in high school. We went to the rodeo and we met up with them. She had a cowboy face. I thought it was like, oh, pick a horse. Ride a cowboy. Pick the cowboy. No, she had a cowboy. They all had a cowboy. We did. We each had our own. We loved it. There was. Let's see. Did you wear wrangler jeans? No. You spunky little monkey. I have a black Stetson hat. It looks slick, let me tell you. Oh, my. What's wrong with that? My family's from Texas. You should appreciate it. You have the defensiveness in it. Yeah, she just gets so mad. I still have it. It's beautiful. I was in high school. Why don't you wear it one day? We'd all like to see it. I will, but my headphones won't go over it. Woods, what are you doing? What did you just do? Five hour energy. That was the most gnarly shot. I look over. If you were watching Woods on the webcam. Go back. I look over at Woods. He's got his head tilted back and he's going glug, glug, glug, glug. I don't even know what that is. It's the energy shot. It's a five-hour energy, I think. There you go, pal. Let me see that. That looks like poison. It's a little black bottle. My goodness. It's called five-hour energy, extra strength, sugar-free, only four calories.
The way he did it, though, he didn't put the bottle up to his lips. He held it up so we could see. And it's just, it's falling like 10 inches. Right in the middle of while we're on the air. You're now resorting to little bottles of 7-Eleven five-hour energy? Yeah. What do you do? Play poker until three in the morning? What are you doing, Woods? Take a nap, my friend. I get up at three o'clock in the morning, dude. What are you up to? He has a TV now. That means he's up late watching marathon TV. Here's the thing. Grey's Anatomy was on last night. Here's what you have to understand. I have a piece. I don't watch that show. Here's the deal. Here's what you have to understand about Woodsy. The kid doesn't like to be told what to do. Exactly. Okay? And I try to be sensitive of that. I really do. So I don't go, Woods, go to bed.
You know, what time did you go to bed? Like 10. Oh, my gosh. Is that bad? I went to bed at 6, bro. Yeah, but you wake up earlier than all of us. I get up at 1.30, 2 o'clock in the morning, but what gets up at 3? I get up at 3. I'm here by 4 every day. If I was getting up at 3 a.m., I'd be going to bed at 7 p.m. I lie in bed at 8, but the TV's on, and I don't fall asleep until like 9.30, and I get up at 3 every night. Dude's in here glugging. five-hour energy drink. Is that the first time you've done that, or do you do that every day? Every now and then. I already had a monster this morning, too. Stop. You're going to be sweating. This is not what I need when we fight. We'll get back to the things that should be banned list, and the reason is because last night, Woodsy went on his bromance date. I did. I'm all a Twitter. And he went with M1 Sanjaya and said that, I don't have any details, but all I know is you had a blast. We had a blast, man. He is just a really down-to-earth, genuine dude. We went to the Turf Club, which is straight out of Goodfellas. Did you open the door for him? I did not. Actually, I beat him there because I'm always on time. All right. He's on the line. Is he good? Bring him up. Sanjaya, what's up, dude? What's going on, brother? What up, dog?
What up, Woodsy, my new BFF? That's right, new BFF. I think it's just BF. That's right. Hey, he said that... Boyfriend. Hey, Woodsy says you guys had a good time, man. Yeah, dude, freaking, you know, dude keeps it real. And, man, we just got along, dude. I told you you'd love Woodsy. Yeah. I told you. Yeah, it's easy, man. We got in. We ordered some food. You cook your own steak at this joint, which is pretty cool. Did you have an appetizer? What did you order? You know, the funny thing is the menu has like three choices. It's literally like breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Whoa. And the sides, you can't get. There's no sides. You'd hate it, Mike. Really? You get garlic bread and salad. Just pick your meat. You're like, can I get a potato? And they're like, yeah, we don't have potatoes. Really? Yeah, it was really weird. But it's delicious. Yeah, you want to order a steak, that's all you get is a steak. Yeah, but it was good. It was really good. Yeah. So we had that, a couple beers, home by, you know, 8, 830. Now, if you just take a look at Sanjay, you think, I don't want to mess with this. Absolutely not. Right? Just tatted up, like, big, you know? I was like, I'm glad I got a dude like this on my side blocking for me. Oh, yeah, for sure.
For sure. In case we got in a scrap, we'd be good. Sanjaya says he doesn't want to get in a scrap, though. He just has the hard look, right, Sanjaya? Yeah, yeah, man. I try to talk things out, you know? He's a lover, not a fighter. He is, he is. Usually, I don't even go that way, so. And he brought a buddy, too. Wow, he brought a buffer. He brought a buffer. That's what that's called. Are you nervous, Sanjaya? That's an escape route right there. Hey, I didn't want to make things uncomfortable, man. Well, you know, two dudes having dinner looks a little weird. Three dudes, not at all. Yeah, yeah. Not at all. I bet he brought his buddy Aaron, who was, again, just cool as could be. Really? We had a ball. That's cool. Sanjaya, right on, bro. Yeah, dude, kept it mellow night, you know? Yeah. But, uh, so, yeah, dude, we're going to have to do it again. We'll get together soon, brother. Thanks again, man. Thanks, Sanjaya. All right, brother. Later, we'll see you. Good, good dude. Things that should be banned. M1 Dash? Hey, uh, so, basically, I think Crocs should be banned. Crocs? Crocs. Yes, crotch. You can't ban the crotch. No more crotches. Should be banned. I think we have crocs on that list. Yeah. Oh, you do? Yeah. We haven't said it yet. Yeah, it was on a prior list. Yeah, we talked about it with Gardner. I think they're really cute with little kids when they have them. Yeah. Little kids wearing them. Didn't we actually have people call in and say it was cruel to put your little kids in those? Yeah, we did. I think we've talked about crocs. Yeah, we did. And yeah, we have Jake in the crocs.
They're adorable. They're cute on little guys. You want to know why? They need to be able to exercise, not look crazy. Not Danish clogs? You can run around in them. Jenna, Todd's daughter, has them. You don't want your kid in wooden clogs? They're not wooden. They're really comfortable. They're made for comfort. They're easy to put on. Are they built for speed or comfort? Both. Spoilers on a car. Get! What, a race car driver? What about the drag racers out there? It's illegal. Neon lights should be banned. What does that mean? Oh, have you ever seen those cars that have, like, you can only tell at night there's neon lights that are underneath the car. Never seen it. So that, like, there's, like, bright blue lights coming from underneath. Down lighting? Is that what you call it? Like pink or, like, blue neon? Yeah. I was leaving downtown a couple weeks ago, actually, and I was literally surrounded by a group, and they must have all been friends because it was, like, pink lights, blue lights, red lights all around me. And then there's your little Volvo.
There's my little Volvo. Like, oh, man. I feel so left out. Family photos with matching outfits. Yes. That was mine. Awful. Because. Yeah. Come on. Now, wait a minute. Do you, when you say matching. Like, okay, everybody, everybody. You're going to show up to the family photo and you're going to wear a white t-shirt and jeans. On the beach. Yeah. You have those, don't you? Let's all jump in the air at the same time. I don't have those. What Rebecca did was she made sure that there's a difference between matching and color coordinated. Sure. Rebecca wanted it to all, with the eye, not be like I'm wearing red, she's wearing something that doesn't match. Okay, I get that. Color. But the exact same, like let's all wear a white polo with jeans. With jeans. And go barefoot on the beach? I think that's our next photo shoot. I think it's cute. We should. We should. We should. We should. See, I think it might be okay for a Christmas card. I think it's fine. It wouldn't bother me for a Christmas card. It kind of bothers me, too, a little. It does? If you have a really, really adorable little family, just the cutest picture. Do you guys know what blue bonnets are? No. It's the state flower of Texas, and they grow wild along the highway. They're gorgeous, right? Yeah.
person has their kids sitting in the blue box. That's all you see for like six months. Yeah. So just have an original thought. Glamour shots. Oh my God. Somebody's gotten real quiet over there. No, I immediately thought Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah, exactly. I don't do glamour technology. What are you using for? Your head shots. Glamour shots. You've seen them in the mall? Yeah, but what does somebody go... What do you use it for? Like, because you're going to be a model? To give your boyfriend or something. To give your boyfriend. To give your boyfriend or Facebook. I would laugh so hard. How about lingerie shots? I would laugh so hard. That's goofy, too. That's goofy. You don't want to ban lingerie pictures. Look at his goofy smile. That's creepy. Ooh, boudoir photos. He's staring at his girl, Sienna, because Sienna might. You would consider it. Oh, that's what he's talking about. You would consider it. Right? I don't need to answer this, do I? No, you don't have to. I've done it. I've done it. I've done it. The boudoir photos. The glamour shots are just really... It was an old radio station I worked for. They were there doing the photos. So, whatever. I did it. You're not going to look young. Always. I hope my family's not listening, but my aunt and my cousin actually went and did glamour shots. And they had... My brother and I were dying laughing because they had, like, these lace gloves on. And my brother and I was... How long ago?
10 years? Yeah. Yeah, I feel like... My brother and I were like... It was cool back then, though. Well, that's the thing, man. I mean, they got to change with the times. Yeah. Kind of like our cargo shorts pegs. Exactly. I don't even think there's a glamour shots in a mall anymore. I don't think they're still around. Really? Yeah. When's the last time you saw one? New Jersey. We should do that. Oh, maybe they're there. We should do that, too. Glamour shots, all of us. It would be amazing. Oh, my gosh. Let's do it. Let's do it. I'm in. Wearing matching outfits. I would do it. If it's still there, can we go down and do glamour shots? Only if I could wear blue eyeshadow. Yeah. Lace gloves. Me too. Oh, lace gloves, bro. Lace gloves. I'm going to perm my hair. Oh. Yeah. Get a permanent. Yeah. I've been threatening to do like, you know, as a show, to do like an 80s prom. It would be amazing. Well, Sienna would have no idea. I have like eight dresses lined up. Ask Todd what to wear. Yeah, I've been to a couple. It would be awesome. Just crimp your hair. I had the worst prom. Nobody wanted to go with me. Well, it wasn't that nobody wanted to go with me. I figured nobody wanted to go with me, so I wouldn't ask anybody, which is a difference. But really, nobody wanted to go with me. Yes, they did. What color was your tugs? Uh-oh. We were almost in commercial, dude.
And you got to ask that. Stay tuned. Light blue? No, it wasn't even the, it wasn't the tux, it was the cummerbund in my tie that was the... Light blue? You probably looked handsome. Was it like the Corona logos or like Tabasco or something? Paisley. Busted out for the wedding. Busted out for the wedding, Mike. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wear it again. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sienna found some audio of John Mayer trying to apologize for the comments that he made in Playboy. And if you don't know the story, I'll tell you, fill you in, let you know all about that. And then give you the audio of his apology at the concert in Nashville. And we'll be getting to the dating game, man. Was he crying? Oh, wow. Oh, please. We also have the dating game. That's right. All week long, we've been telling people to go to MikeyShow.com, take a look at Megan. And she's still there. You can see pictures of Megan right now. She's going to be choosing a guy. We got two guys in the studio. She'll be choosing. It's coming up. Listening to The Mikey Show. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

Yeah, it's not greasy. Not greasy at all. My buddy Mark tried them. What'd you think, Mark? I tried the El Pastor tacos. What's up with the pineapple? Let me tell you about the El Pastor tacos, man. We marinated for 24 hours. Hey, Brian from the Nervous Records. What are you doing here hanging out with Mark and Caesar? Hey, Tim Piles. We're just eating some food. Really? Are you sure you're not cutting a commercial? No, man. We're just having a conversation. Really? Yeah, are we supposed to be cutting a commercial? I'm a musician. I don't endorse things. Oh, this is awkward. Maybe I should write a jingle. It's time for What's Cooking at Cox with Sam the Cooking Guy. Everyone loves lots of choices when it comes to great food, right? Well, recently he was interviewed by Playboy, and he made a few racist comments using the N-word. Ever since he said that, he's obviously been receiving a lot of slack from people very upset. And so he was performing Wednesday night in Nashville and he stopped halfway through a song to apologize for what he did. And you have the audio, right? In the quest to be clever, I completely forgot about the people that I love and the people that love me as I had begun to do into a wormhole of selfishness. You know, the apology.
This is just an observation. The apology, in my opinion, had I been counseling John, I would have said, you know, John, I think it's a good idea to apologize. I don't know if you need like the band. I know. Seriously. I want to say that, I mean, maybe he just decided I need to do it right now and they didn't even know. I know. I might have tried. Hey, guys. Let's stop. Let's make this sincere. Your body's a blend of it. And greediness and arrogance in thinking that if I would just continue to be speedy and witty and pull together as many fast words and phrases as I could. That I could be clever enough to buy myself another day. How is that clever? Without thinking that anybody had finally pinned me down and said, you're a creep. And when I should have just given that up and played the guitar a little bit more. So I decided that I would try to be as clever as possible all the time. Stop saying clever. Tears to the eyes are watering now. His eyes are watering now. Yeah, because he cried, right? I tried. And some people that I love.
I like an apology. I do. I like an apology. And I'm willing to forgive people. I love the apology. Say it, though. And it's weird with the music behind it. So weird. Get to the point. And he has, even in his own music, this is a song from John Mayer. I like his voice. Don't be jealous, guys. He clearly doesn't talk like that. Why does he sing like that? Because it makes girls... Hi, Mikey. Hi, John. How are you? I'm fine. Why are you... I'm good, man. Oh, so creepy. Why do you talk like that, John? That's the way I talk. Wait. Do you like the little body movement we've got going on? Yeah, why... John, why when you talk do you swoop your shoulders down? That's the way I do it, man.
You do like that? Yeah, man. I got the soul in me. I'm clever. And so you... Sounds nothing like John Mayer. First of all, you're doing... First of all, you... Can you sing something for me, John? I think... Oh, girl. She was... Yeah, I'll give you your music. There you go, John. Thank you. I love your voice, really. Thank you. I love it, too. I think it's a nice voice. It's very soothing. Inside of my world. Oh, that's great, man. Beautiful. Thanks, man. Okay. You go ahead and go to the bathroom. Okay. That's our boy. That's our boy, John Mayer. He's really cute. He's really handsome. I don't think he can recover from that. You don't? No. I think he will. He always makes stupid things. But that's kind of a big one. Yeah, he kind of does dumb stuff a lot. Look at Kramer, whatever his real name is. That was a little hardcore. He's never recovered. I think he's working at Target.
It's the truth. In the stock room. Is Megan here? I don't know. She is. I think we're going to be able to hear her in... I don't know how we're going to do this, actually. If she's there, put her on the mic, Jay. Yeah, Jay, if she's there, let's get her on a mic. I don't know where that would be. Let me look. We can't see anything. We're all tarped off. Jay did such a great job of... Oh, here he comes. Jay did such a great job of like making sure that we couldn't see in there and that Megan can't see us. I can't back. There we go. She's here and she smells great. Oh, awesome. Now, are we going to hear Megan the same way? Hi, Megan. Are you there? Can you hear? There she is. There's Megan. So Megan's in the other room. And so what we're going to do is we're going to do the dating game. And the way that this is going to work is she is going to have a chance to ask all these different guys. Different questions, okay? She's got different questions for contestant number one and contestant number two. Are you guys nervous? You guys nervous? Very. Should we bring him up here? Yeah, yeah. Let's bring him up. Step up to the mics, boys. Here we go. All right, so we have contestant number one. He's sitting right next to me. And we have contestant number two. Say hi. Say hi, contestant number one. Hi, everybody. And say hi, contestant number two. Hello, Mikey.
There you go. And now, Megan, you've got some questions for each of them, right? I do, yes. And so you're going to ask them questions, and you can address them as contestant number one and contestant number two. And then we will allow you to, you know what I think we should do, is we'll probably go to commercial break. And then after we come back, we'll have you tell us which one you pick, okay? Okay, sounds good. All right, go ahead and begin anytime you're ready. Okay. Hi, guys. Hello. Hi, Megan. I just want to start by saying Woodsy's romance seemed to work out, so I'm hoping maybe that's a preface for what's going on here. Yeah, it did. He had a romance last night. Romance went real good. Real good. So we'll see. Okay. She doesn't sound like she's in a well. What? Because she is. She's in the same room that Jay is in. But she doesn't sound like she's in a well. You have to talk right into that microphone. Oh, she doesn't sound like she's in a well. Okay, go ahead, Megan. Okay. Contestant number one, where would the perfect spot be for a first date? For a first date, usually something where you can get to know each other, usually dinner or definitely somewhere where you can walk and talk maybe. Do you have a favorite restaurant? I'm just going to interject here. Yeah.
I like Mexican food mostly, so pretty much anywhere where it's good Mexican food, I'll go there. Great answer. Great answer. Yeah, that was. You got a favorite Mexican place? No, not off the top of my head. He has a favorite Mexican place, but he doesn't want to say it because it's not a good first date place probably, right? I like Mexican food. There's nothing wrong with that. Like the hole-in-the-wall Mexican places are so good. Yes, they are. Every San Diegan loves Mexican food. That is true. Anything that ends in Berto's. You can't go wrong. You can't go wrong. Okay, now for, you got a question for contestant. Yeah, contestant number two. You're stranded on an island. What three things would you wish you had with you? I think I'd have, first thing, plenty of sunscreen. Smart. Because I am Irish and I have some very fair skin. Yeah. A bunch of matches to build fire, of course. Yeah. And someone to be with. Nice. Someone to keep me company. Wow. Well done. Well done. Now, you guys, by the way, have both seen Megan online, correct? Yep. And anybody that wants to see Megan can see her by going to MikeyShow.com. One thing I can tell you about Megan. Well, first of all, she's very pretty. But the other thing about Megan is that she is so confident. You know, I mean, she just. Thanks, Mikey. She is. I mean, when she starts talking, she's just like very herself, you know, just, you know, puts it out there. And so.
And I thought that was really cool about Megan right from the very beginning. Absolutely. All right, Megan, go ahead. Cool. Okay. Contestant number one. Your house is on fire. What do you grab as you run out? If it was almost completely on fire, I'd probably... Oh, it's definitely very on fire. It's very on fire. It's about to go down. It's en fuego, dude. I'd probably just grab... I don't know, probably nothing. Get out. He only cares about himself. I don't really have anything that's prized enough. He's a minimalist. You're a minimalist. True. Do you have any pets or anything? No, I don't have any pets that live with me. Pictures of your childhood? I think all those are at my parents' house. Really? Yeah. What about your favorite pair of jeans, bro? Yeah, I'll grab some clothes and run out. Hey, you're honest. That's okay. Yeah, he's a minimalist. All right, contestant number two, what do you see yourself doing when you retire? Hopefully moving to a tropical island somewhere, living it up, drinking Mai Tais on the beach. Bring your sunscreen and matches with you? Absolutely, yes. Nice. Nice. Okay. Contestant number one, what do you look for in a woman? Usually just someone who seems very truthful and easy to talk to, as long as we get along.
How do you discern a truthful woman? Sometimes I can just feel a sense that someone's being genuine instead of not, instead of trying to put on a front, I guess. So you can kind of pick up on it. Yeah. There's nothing else you look for originally? Yeah. Come on, man. Are you guys having something? Come on. Of course looks are effective. Anybody who says they're not is lying, though. I know. You can speak the truth. The fact that Megan is a good-looking strawberry blonde doesn't hurt at all, right? That doesn't hurt at all. There's a reason he looked at the picture, right? Right? Of course. Okay, contestant number two. You need to cancel your weekend plans because of rain. What do you do instead? Oh, if I have weekend plans, that is. Let's see. Now, as the question, I'm canceling the plans I have to make other plans. Well, it's raining, yeah, so you can't go out. So you've got to do something. A whole new weekend. Perfect. You've got a whole new weekend. So whatever you do has to be, you know, it's got to be an indoor thing. Stay at home, watch movies. I'm a huge movie buff. I'll watch the Turner Classic Movie Channel all night. Yeah? All right. What kind of movies do you like? Love old movies, classics, watch anything I haven't seen before. Favorite movie? Godfather. Nice. Without hesitation. Well done.
I like it. I like it a lot. Cool. Contestant number one, you're driving and get lost. What do you do and how do you handle it? I like that. I would pull out my phone and get the Google Maps. Nice. So I can figure out where I'm going. And by the way, let's get ages of contestant number one and two. Contestant number one, how old are you? I'm 25. And number two? 25. There you go. Both 25 years old. That may have been said, but as you know. I don't think it was. Oh, it wasn't said? No. Okay, cool. So, yeah, you would use the Google Maps that you have on your phone and get your way out of it. Yep. It means you don't have to ask for directions. Yep. Exactly. Guys don't like to ask for directions, and now we don't need to. Woods would ask. If you call me, you will be even more lost. Don't call your boy. Yeah. I still get lost driving home from work. I won't call the kid. Don't worry. Don't call the kid. Don't call him. Don't call the kid. All right, Megan. Okay, contestant number two. If you could invite anyone to dinner, who would it be and what would you talk about? Like celebrities? Yeah, like someone famous. Yeah, someone famous. Okay, okay. Maybe I'd invite John Mayer, see what's been going on. Yeah. I don't know. I think a celebrity of some sort, a singer. Yeah, but you have to pick one. Yeah, you gotta pick one. Oh, man. Can he be dead?
Yeah. Elvis. Elvis Presley. Why Elvis? I've been idolizing him for forever, and I think he has some great stories to tell. Okay. Okay. Love his music. Cool. Megan, do you want to sing any Elvis songs for us? Yeah, you want to? Yeah, I want to hear like an impersonation. Oh, he just got so... When you said that, Megan, the look on his face was like, oh, no. You can sing John Mayer. Look at what he's playing. He's some... Tunes. You got this, man. Give me some Elvis. You know this one? Is that That's Alright Mama? Okay, so am I really supposed to sing? Just a little bit. Well, that's alright mama That's alright for you That's alright mama Just any way you do Now that's alright That's alright That's alright now mama It had like the little lip thing going on, you know, lift up. And it took rocks because, you know, it's not so easy to do. That was really well done. Good job. Contestant number two. Thank you. Megan's like, but I like guitar players. Who was playing the guitar on that one? Go ahead, Megan. Okay. Contestant number one. What three things do you never leave the house without?
It's tough because he was already asked, what would you take with you? What would you take with you? I should have switched the questions. Right? Too late? Too late. Too late. You have to answer it anyways. What would you? Wallet, cell phone, and... I know what the third answer is going to be, but he doesn't think he can say it. Say it. I guess my key so I can get back in. Sienna, you have a dirty mind. I do. Because whatever it is, I know it was dirty. It was. It was this condom. This is what I thought. That's what it was. I didn't say condom. That's what it was. That's what I thought. These are three things I never leave them. You got to be safe, you know? All right, Megan, go ahead. All right, last question. Actually, I'm going to throw an extra one in there if I can. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, contestant number two, what are some nicknames you've had? Oh, I might give away my name and my legacy. I could give a few. Do you have any nicknames that don't have your name in them? T-Bone, Zilla. T-Bone, Zilla. How'd you get T-Bone? Because of your name. Yeah. And Zilla because you're like Godzilla? There's a story to it. Like you're Godzilla? That involves my name.
You don't need to tell it. I might give it away. Great nicknames. Okay, cool. Alright, this is the last question and both of you guys have to answer this one. Godzilla. Go ahead. Okay, so contestant number one. You can go first. But I'm an absolute Will Ferrell fanatic. So both of you guys just give me your favorite quote from a Will Ferrell movie or an SNL skit. Contestant number one. I like when Will Ferrell played George W. Bush on Saturday Night Live, so anything in there, I was always laughing out loud. Okay, cool. Contestant number two. I loved Will Ferrell's Harry Carey from Saturday Night Live. That was great. Yeah, that's one of my favorites. It was pretty great. Yes. Are you guys Will Ferrell fans? Yeah. It helps. What about Frank the Tank? Frank the Tank? What a hefty lips. It's just, oh, so good. Tastes so good. I think my favorite is...
Great show, folks. Compelling, rich. How about Cowbell? I need more Cowbell. That's Walken, though, isn't it? That was Walken. That's Walken. Yeah, that was Walken. Shut up, Woods. Hey, but Will Ferrell was great in that with the gut hanging out, banging on that Cowbell. Amazing. He's my ideal man. I could go for days. Is he your ideal man in that cowbell scene? His body is amazing. His body is a wonderland. Yeah. His body is a wonderland. She'd like us then, Mike. Yeah. Oh, yeah. You get along great. What? You like big guts, huh? All right. He punted Baxter. Super sexy. You like man breasts. Yes. Man breasts. She's attracted to guys that have to wear a bra. You like boobs. I like something to bust my head on, you know? Yeah, yeah. That's sexy. Of course it is. Did you have any other questions for these fellas? No, that is it. Guys, do you want... Contestant number one, do you want to add anything to this? Do you want to... Tell us why you think that you would be a good match for Megan. That's a hard question. Yeah. That's... That's... I don't know. I'm just a regular, normal, nice guy, I guess. Yeah, and why do you want to go out with Megan? When you guys talked to her on Monday, she seemed really cool. I went on the website to tell the pictures. She's definitely cute. Yeah.
Yeah, definitely. Contestant number two. Why do you want to go out with Megan? Same reason. She's a very nice girl. I love the strawberry blonde hair. Very, very pretty. Thanks, guys. Now, let me ask you, fellas. Have either of you guys ever asked a girl if it's okay to give her a kiss? And don't lie because we've all done it. Tell the truth. We've all done it. Contestant number one. I think I have. Yeah, if you think you have, that's a yes. Yeah, I was like 17. That's definitely a yes. Can I kiss you? Yeah. You've done it, contestant number two? I think I have, too. I think I've actually gone in for a kiss and been denied. Yeah, yeah. Lauren has a story about that. Lauren had a guy ask her if he could kiss her, and she gave him the head to the side, squinted the eyes just a tiny bit, smiled really big, and went, no. But I gave him a second chance and then I shook his hand. Then you shook his hand. I've had to do that too, though. Is that really that abnormal? Oh my gosh. Megan, you shook his hand. No, like I gave him a hug. But if like a friend goes in to kiss me? You've had a friend go in for the kiss? Yeah, after he had a few too many beers. Right. Who hasn't? She actually had to fend Jay off like two minutes ago. Jay, you're married. Come on.
You're a married man. Okay, so here's what we're going to do. Take a quick time out. When we come back, we will let Megan make her decision. And two of them are going to be going out to Pample Moose. Megan, they're both good choices. They're both good choices. You can't make a wrong answer. Yeah, they're both handsome guys. Yeah. And so let's do this. We'll take a quick time out. She'll make her choice when we come back. 94.9. Attention to all Americans overwhelmed with $10,000 or more in credit card debt. Looking pretty small out there, kind of a lull before the proverbial storm in terms of surfacy. Weather looking really nice, kind of in that ankle-knee waist-high zone on average. Not much more than that, getting hammered down by a high tide this morning, dropping off to a negative low. As the day continues, we might start to see the first signs of a series of these swells fill in. Of course they look nervous because they know that she's about to make a decision. Mikey, they didn't speak for the entire break. Not one word. Both of them stood in complete silence that entire break. They did. They did. Right by the microphone, ready to go. Contestant number one, what was going through your head during that break in silence as you just stood there? What was going through your head? Everything. Yeah? Like, you know, what happened? It's like, why did I say that answer? Yeah. Oh, I shouldn't have said that. If only I had something I'd have come out of the house with.
Contestant number two, what was going through your mind while that was... I can't believe I just sang on the radio. Yeah, of course, right? You did great, man. Not many people can say that. That's right. That's right. Well, it's come down to this. Megan, you've had a chance to consider things during the break. Which person is it going to be? Well, I just want to start by saying it was a really hard choice. You guys both seem like really cool guys. And I honestly didn't get nervous at all until I had to choose one. So, can I get like a drum roll? I wish I had my stupid drum roll. We gave you more of a motorboat. Okay, so the guy I pick is... Contestant number two. Contestant number two. They were really, really cool.
Now, if you would like to try Windmill Banquets and Catering, you can find them online. Windmillcatering.com. And they're located in Carlsbad. And the number is 760-431-0364. And they really do have a very, very awesome menu. And, you know, if you're looking for catering, it's the way to go. Windmillcatering.com. Thank you, Megan, and thank you, Trey. Thank you. Yeah, yeah, you bet. Good job, guys. Very good job. Let's get Woodsy and Lauren back in their regular places because we've got some stuff to do. Well, first of all, Siena has a list of the best countries to live in. If you had to guess, the best one on the list. America. America actually went down. It was number three last year. Number three? Mm-hmm. Get it. Now it's not. Now it's number seven. What? Because of the economy. Is Australia on there? I'm going to it right now. China. Guess the number one. Afghanistan. Number one is... I'd say Australia. See, China is actually... Their economy is actually really doing well right now. They're doing great, China, economically. They're doing really good. Oh, look at this. They're not on the list. Look at this. Windmill Catering is bringing in plates for everybody right now. Gorgeous place.
This is what they did. This looks like a gourmet meal. That's a gourmet meal. Oh, my goodness. A gourmet meal. Wow. Thank you. And it's all warm and everything. What is this? Tell me what this is on the microphone right here. Right here. Tell me what you brought. Well, what you're going to be enjoying today. I have to get right up on this. I'm sorry. I apologize. Not getting fresh. It's all good, man. It's all good. She's used to it, dude. She works with me. Oh, no. Well, what you're having today, we're going to be starting with a pear and gorgonzola salad. It's got some gorgonzola cheese. Yeah, it does. Fresh spring mix and a white balsamic and pear vinaigrette. Wow. Very nice. Also, what you'll be having today is a classic chicken marsala, sauteed boneless, skinless chicken breast with shiitake and baby bella. mushrooms, deglaze with a little bit of port, excuse me, not port, shambord.
Marsala wine and a touch of demi-glazen cream. The potatoes are a scalloped gorgonzola potato. So enjoy, everyone. Do you have any organic corn husks? Yeah. I saw this in the hallway. I didn't know it was for us. And I was like, oh, somebody hit the jackpot. That's right. It looks really good. Actually, you know, you guys have to let me know what Dave Matthews thinks of this. Dave will probably sing a little song about it a little later. And for the record. Cargo shorts have never been out. Thank you. I was just going to say that I had your salad and liked it, but now I'm not going to. Let me tell you something. That cargo short thing has charged the city of San Diego. I think it's going to be on the front page soon. Cargo shorts back. Cargo shorts never left. That's the headline. Cargo shorts never gone. Please, those of you who know that they are out, just... Voice your opinion as well. Can we get a poll on the M1 site? Yeah, let's do it, please. Danny, make it right now. Danny, make it right, dude. Go on M1 site. Put up a poll that asks dudes. And women, please. And women. Please show up in votes. Yeah, everybody. Just a straight poll that says cargo shorts. In or out. In or out. In or out. Yeah. If I'm right, Mikey has said he will give me a budget and money and his sizes and I will shop for him.
As long as you keep the sizes really private. I'm going to post them all online. Yeah. Okay, so the cities. It's the countries, right? I mean, the countries. Sorry, yeah. Lauren was right. Australia is number two on the list. In terms of best country to live in, do they say why? Well, the reason for the number one country is the health insurance and all the healthcare systems. Canada. I was reading that. If you're pregnant, you get five months maternity leave, and you can take up to a year off. I mean, it's just nuts. Can I tell you something, Mike? Yeah. I recruited, I launched our office, my last company, and I launched the office in Canada. I recruited every person there. It is Canada, right, Sienna? No. Oh, it's not Canada. It's France. Canada did worse than the U.S. Well, never mind then. I'm an idiot. France is the number one. I was looking at my chicken marsala. It goes France, Australia, Switzerland, Germany, New Zealand, Luxembourg, the U.S. Belgium, Canada, and Italy. Really? Italy is the number 10. Anywhere in Europe, but anywhere in Europe. No. France, by the way, they say is the number one country to live in. You get so much time off there. Really? Yeah. Anywhere else but here, you get so much time off. Well, that's what I'm saying about Canada. They literally get, they freak out if they don't get their holidays, their vacations. And they take vacations. They don't take their cell phone. They don't work on vacations like we do.
Really? No laptops. They actually enjoy vacation. I worked on my honeymoon, so. I know. My honeymoon's a weekend. Yeah, it's just how it goes. What is the deal like with the vacations? Like, why do they take so many vacations? Because they think that life, you know. It's called quality of life. Live your life. Work is, you know. You work to live, not live to work like we do. Yeah, and like Sienna said, you can get up to a year off maternity leave. I mean, it's nuts. That is one of the things I love about living in France was that over there you get to take so much more time than if you live in the United States. I was always on holiday. Where was your favorite place to do a vacation? Definitely Cancun because the girls did not wear the tops. That is pretty nice, huh? Yeah, in the Cancun. So I would go there. But I would have a hard time because I did not speak Spanish. Why did you move to an island if you love France so much? Before boss. I did it for boss. Oh, okay. You loved your boss. I loved boss because boss always said to me when I got older he would take care of me. Did he? No. It turned out he was a big fat lad. He did not take care of me at all.
In the end, I was having to feed myself on walnuts and water left in balloons. Oh, that sounds delicious. Water left in balloons sound delicious to you? Well, of course it does because you eat barley every day. Bark. Bark. Lara. Lara. What was that tattoo? Lara. It's Lauren. That's what I said. No, you said Lara. I know. Lara. Oh, okay. That's a little better. Got a little something caught in your throat there. Yes, it's called a bullet. That's really nice of you, Laura. Oh, that's nice. I'm so sorry. So nice of you. He's a nice guy. He's a really nice guy. I always hurt his feelings every time he comes in. You do every time. I know. I got to back off the little guy. He's taller than I thought. He is taller than you thought? Yeah, I thought he was like three foot. He seemed like three and a half feet. I got to read you this email. He was wearing Mikey's shoes that Mikey had on yesterday. That's real funny. His orthopedic nursing shoes. Yeah, that's funny. Mikey's shoes have lifts on them. They do. Should they be banned? They do not have lifts. A nine-inch sole. Look like Gene Simmons walking in here. Yeah, that's what he said. He goes, hey, dude, nice Gene Simmons shoes. She had teeth on them. When are you going to start spitting blood and blowing fire? He was already spitting blood yesterday. I was spitting blood yesterday. All right, I got an email for you.
And you can call about it. 570-194-9 is our number. And it says, Mikey, enjoy the new show. And I think I have a pretty interesting topic for you guys to discuss. Last weekend, I was at a Super Bowl party at my buddy's house. There were a few kids at the party running around, and one of the wives pulled her little boy aside and said, it's time to eat. I kid you not, this woman started breastfeeding her son in the middle of the party. I'm not sure how I feel about breastfeeding in public, just in general. But this kid had to have been four to five years old. No, that's like kindergarten. I'm a dude. I'm telling you, Sienna, this happens. I'm not kidding you. It says, I'm a dude and I have no kids, but I'm pretty sure that is just too old. What do you guys think? When should you cut the cord and stop breastfeeding your kids? M1, pants on the ground, pants on the ground. Looking like a fool with your pants on the ground. I was at a restaurant. They had outdoor seating. Right. And I saw the same kind of thing. This kid was like running around, you know, like holding his toys in one hand like a donut in the other hand. And he went up to his mom, stood. Stood? Stood while he was breastfeeding and just.
Tilted his head. Got a little snack. And then guess what he did when he was done? Can you say? I think I can. What? He smacked it out of the way. Yes. That is disgusting. Are you serious? He was done with it and he was like, no. Just smacked it. No more. Yeah. I think any Super Bowl party you go to where somebody pulls their boob out, I think is a successful Super Bowl party. Yeah. If the Super Bowl party's taking place on Bourbon Street. But if it's at somebody's house, inappropriate. And you're being inappropriate. Oh, yeah, of course you are. Yeah, weird. I was a waitress a long time ago. Yeah. You guys aren't even going to believe this one. That you were a waitress? I don't. I know. I don't believe it. I know. I thought you were a waitress? Yeah, for like three years. Sammy's wood-fired pizza. Really? Uh-huh. All right. And I was waiting on a table, and it was a family. Yeah. And when I came up to the table for the first time, the woman was breastfeeding. Yeah. And the kid was like kind of under a blanket, thankfully. You couldn't really see the kid or the boob or anything. Right. And then as I was asking everyone what they wanted, what I didn't expect was for the little boy to detach and then tell me what he wanted. Yes. No. Yes. No. Yes. He said. No. He said. No. Can I get the filet? No. No. Medium rare. Oh.
Medium. But think of me. I'm sitting there like trying to get a good tip, you know, and I'm like. Side of bacon. Okay. I'll take a side of bacon, please. Amazing. Is that disgusting? That's the most hideous. I wanted to scream out loud. I think it's beautiful. You do not. Yeah, it doesn't bother me at all. They're eating. It's just a baby eating. But he's like six, dude. Oh my gosh, it's a boob. Oh gosh. If we can talk, they're dumb. Jay, if you have a mustache, you shouldn't be broken. Don't judge me. I mean, that's crazy. I'm guessing like it was like three. Yeah. It's a pizza. I don't know. I don't know what the cutoff age is, but I feel like if the kid can say yes or no to it. then it's wrong. I don't know, yeah. Well, and there's got to be, maybe there's a pediatrician listening right now. You can call us, 570-1949. Yeah, what's the age that you recommend that the ladies stop with the breastfeeding? Nine. Nine. Because I think physically, I mean, I don't know. I could be called off way wrong on this, but as long as she keeps breastfeeding, the supply will keep coming, right? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, it will. For sure.
For sure. I think it's about two years because Kim did it until they were like two. And the longer you can put up with it, the better they are to fight infections and all the silliness that goes on. People that don't breastfeed have more risk of disease and all that kind of stuff. I don't know if I'd want teeth anywhere near my situation. Yeah. You know, like, uh-oh. The kid's going to be the most well-fed kid around. Sienna's kid. Ridiculous. Chronic overeater. Chronic overeater. And you're being inappropriate. Well, of course. Of course I am. Yeah, our kids are six months old. Our twin boys, Luke and Ryan, are six months old. They're already eating, like, rice, you know, cereal. Ryan eats, like, corned beef. Yeah, pretty much. Corned beef and hash. Chicken number 64. Give me the slaw, but don't put too much mayo in that. Give me the slaw, though. You got whiskey? Give me a whiskey. What do you got? What do you got that's old? I don't want any of the new stuff. What do you got that's been aged in a barrel, smart guy? I got a Cairo appointment in 20 minutes, so make it quick. That's my son, Luke. But, yeah, they're already eating the rice cereal on the spoon. Yeah. Six months old. The one you mix with water. Yeah. Looks really delicious. Looked at it the other day and went, oh, oh. But they love it. They do. Babies love it.
570-1949. We have M1 Shelly on the line. Go ahead, Shelly. Shelly, are you there? Oops. Sorry. Go ahead, Shelly. Hello. Are you there? Go ahead. What were you calling to say, Shelly? Oh, I was just saying, like, this whole fascination with, like, the, you know, the whole boob-sucking thing. And it's, like, in Japan, there's, like, this anime that's out there where there's, like, this superhero dude. And in the middle of a fight, if he needs to replenish his strength, he has, like, this chick with him that just whips out a boob. No. How are you aware of said anime? Oh, dude. Okay. Well, there's, like, a website. She's like, I'm on a couple of websites, Mike, that feature it. I think I might have to. I think we got to go. I think I have to hit the button on that one. But I think I know what she's saying. Listen.
It's weird. It doesn't matter what way you paint it. I want to hear from a person that knows. Person that's in the know. If you know the cutoff age that you're supposed to stop with the breastfeeding. I don't think there is one. I think there's just, you know, maybe recommended. It depends on recommended. Roxas too. Yeah, it could be. Can't be older than that. No. Two seems too old to me, even. I don't know. I've never had kids before, but. Like I said, I think if they can refuse it, they can talk about it. You know what's really crazy is none of us know. Well, if they can quote Shakespeare, they shouldn't be still on the move. You know what I mean? Yeah. If they're naming off their favorite Fellini films, it's probably time to stop. They're getting carded at the bar when you go out together. Yeah, it's probably time.
Let's see. This is M1AK. What's up? Yeah, I don't know 100% for sure like you were looking for, but I'll tell you, anything after six, eight months, it starts getting a little weird. I've got three kids under the age of five, wife, all of them, and it didn't take it past about seven months or so. I don't know. It gets a little weird after that, if you ask me. I want to say, yeah, like eight months is when most people stop. Yeah. M1 Barbas. Hey, Mikey. It's Barabbas. What's up, dude? Hey, I just think, like, if you're in your 20s and you can, like, remember your mom, you know, breastfeeding you, that's just wrong. So I think the cutoff should be, like, no later than, like, one, you know? Yeah, I think that it has to be. That's a really good point.
If you have memories. You can't have memories. You can't have memories about it. No, it's something you block out. And memories, I think, I mean, I think memories start at about three or four. Right. You start to remember. It's like, how far back can you remember, Sienna? Preschool. What is that? Three or four. No, four. Four? Yeah. How about you, Lauren? Sorry, I was eating my delicious chicken, Marcella. I'd have to say about three, yeah. Yeah? Yeah. How about you, Woodsy? Yesterday. Woodsy barely remembers yesterday. Now, I was about three or four. First memory I have was stopping an escalator in a department store. Your shoelace got caught? No. There was a button that you could press on the underside, on the undercarriage of the escalator, and I pressed the button, stopped it. Everybody was having to walk up and down that aisle. Up and down the escalator. Do your parents know that you did that? My parent, my mom, knew that I did it and got the arm yank. Yanked up by the arm. Let's get out of here! Yeah. I stopped an escalator with my foot. How? Well, I didn't actually stop it. What happened was it more like it stopped me, but I was trying to stop it. I have horrific pain going through my body. I know. It was one of those silent cries. Like, I couldn't...
even tell anyone but my shoe got caught and it was one of those cheap like little canvas shoes that they used to have so I was like it just kept yeah all it did was knock off a toenail but at the time I was like all it did yeah could have been worse I had a friend lose a toe when she was in preschool yeah people get tortured with their nails well no I mean it was a gradual it was later but oh wow you know if you've ever bruised That area, and then later you lose it. Tell me more about it as I shovel this chicken marsala in my mouth. Tell me about your toenails. Did it turn black? You really want to know? No. Let's see. M1, Brayden. Hey, what's wrong, Mikey? Not too much, dude. So what do you think? With the breastfeeding, once the child's able to sustain them themselves, that's when you can wean them off the breast. Yeah, dude, that was me at 31 was when I was finally able to sustain myself. It doesn't count, but what you desire, it's what you need. So, you know, if it were up to me, I'd be breastfeeding now. But that goes back to the classroom. That was Brayden, who I just hung up on here. But, Brayden, I appreciate the time we spent together, all 25 seconds of it. Wow. Let's see. M1 Dora is on the line. Hi, Dora. Hi, it's Dory. Dory, what's up? Mikey said he wanted to know what the cutoff age is. Well, an anthropologist will tell you that based on...
Other animals or other creatures that breastfeed or breast, you know, feed their children young. Yeah. Humans are supposed to breastfeed for seven years. Wow. Based on that standard. And the number one problem. But I'm not a cheetah. I know, but listen. There are too many people in this country who are shaming women and embarrassing women out of breastfeeding, but you guys are not helping. Well, it's not me. I say pull them out. Hang on a second, Dora. Hang on. Dory. Wait, wait. Dory. Dory, Dory, Dory. I'm sorry, sis. Dory, I'm sorry. It's okay. Dory, you're saying shaming women out of breastfeeding. Yes. Nobody's shaming anybody out of anything, but how old do you think that it's appropriate? Okay, my personal opinion, because I'm, is it Lauren that's like real au naturel? Yes. Okay. Yes. As long as you can breastfeed that child long enough to wean them and transition them to cow's milk, I'm good. So I do agree that there is a stage where you're like, okay, we're done. But I was just sharing what an anthropologist would tell you.
Well, an anthropologist could tell me all kinds of stuff. But like I said, I'm not a giraffe. You know what I mean? But I do want to make sure that you guys understand that there's a bigger issue when it comes to breastfeeding. And there are too many people that give it a negative connotation. And even if we're talking, you know, yes, I agree that when you're talking about a five-year-old who can pull it out themselves, then maybe that's cut off. It's ridiculous. The bigger issue in this country especially, and it was interesting when we were listing off these European countries. Yeah. I guarantee you the reason they get as much time with their children is because those countries are more about breastfeeding than we are. It's true. She's right. Absolutely. Oh, really? It comes down to breastfeeding? Well, they need much more maternity leave than this country gives them. Mothers, that is. You know what? Then let's all be Johnny Depp and move to Paris to live. Whatever. Love this country. Why was Alec Baldwin hospitalized? And we got the, uh, Sienna does the Little Whiz Pop Quiz. It's coming up. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. AT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Back to The Mikey Show. Hey, Mikey. Hey, Dave. How are you? It's Dave Matthews. I got a hangover. You have a hangover? Shocker. Yeah, it doesn't surprise me. I went out with Jay last night. You did? Really? Our boy Jay? Yeah, Jay didn't even tell us. Sure did. I asked you a question, Dave? Yeah. Did you get to try any of the delicious food from windmill? Amazing. It's really great food, isn't it? Oh, it's so good. You got your guitar with you? Always. You want to do a song about windmill? I love the windmill. Steve Matthews singing about windmill. It's so good. That's great. When you're stoned. Wait, wait, wait. Dave, Dave, Dave, Dave, Dave. Yeah? Remember I said don't do that. Get a grilled veggie sandwich. There you go. That's nice. That's beautiful.
Or a windmill club. Maybe some roast beef. That's good. Or some pesto. That was, he did, he handled himself first. I think he's starting to get it. Yeah, I think he is. I think he is too. Thanks, Dave. It's nice of you to stop by. Sure. He's wearing a robe. Rough night. Okay, Dave. Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. You need to do that in another studio. Sorry. Wow. Wow, Dave. Wow. You should take it easy. Can I get secondhand from that? I think you probably could. Oh, my gosh. You probably could. It's harsh. You ready to hear Sienna dealing with the kids? Yes. How about this for an open? What happened? I have no idea. What happened? I have no idea what just happened. Oh, no.
Technical meltdown. That was upsetting. Let's try again. Let's try it again. You ready? No. No, don't. You know what makes an opening theme really good? What? First of all, when it doesn't work, when you first do it, that makes it good. And then the other thing that makes it good is when the actual open is 45 minutes long. It makes me feel like dancing. Yeah, it does. It's cute. It's catchy. Sienna, what were you talking to the kids about? So I went to the park, actually, and talked to some kids who, I'm going to apologize, they were very rowdy, but adorable. Really? I mean, in this bit, you're really going to get to see what I deal with. Yeah. Which is, you know. Let's take a listen. We'll see. What's your name? Trey. Taylor. Nora. Nora. Ava. Ava. What's your name? Caleb. Caleb. How old are you guys? I'm four. Seven. I'm seven. Wow. They're fighting.
Have you guys ever heard of a show called American Idol? No. I have. You have? One of them has heard of it? No, there was more of that. Like when I explained it to them a little after and they were like, oh yeah. Right, right, right. But yes. In the beginning. Do you know that there's a new judge on American Idol and her name is Ellen? I love Ellen. Can any of you guys sing? Yes. Let me hear. Can you sing? Always one, right? Oh, yes. Of course I can. Of course I can. Song for me? Wow. I know who that is. Taylor Swift. My name is Taylor. Okay. Wait, don't push any buttons. Don't push any buttons. Are they grabbing the microphone? Oh, listen. Oh, my. Oh, my gosh. Okay. Hello? Can you tell me the judges' names on America? This is why kids make me nervous. I love them. Yeah. This is why kids make me nervous. I was like, don't push any buttons. Stop it. Stop it. He's just going. Heating the microphone. Yeah. Can Idle? Simon. What do you think about Simon? Is Simon the mean one? Simon's the mean one, yeah. Simon is mean. Yes, yes, yes. Do you know he's going to be gone next year? This is his last year. Really? You don't like him? Uh-uh.
Do you like Ellen? Yes. She's nicer, huh? Mm-hmm. Can I make up a song? Sure. Same kid. Oh, yes. The performer. Of course. She's the performer. She made this up on the spot. Get ready. Why can't I? Birds, they fly so gracefully. Wow. Wait. Wait. Just keep going. Why can't I be like anyone? Or something like that. Why can't I be an animal or something like that? Wow. Do you like Ellen? Are we starting that over? I have to hear it again. It's amazing. Can I make up a song? Sure. Okay. Why, oh, why can't I fight the birds? They fly so gracefully. Why, oh, why can't I be like an animal or something like that? Something. Something.
But it's just the same. I know that. Unbelievable. That was beautiful, darling. Wow, wow. That was a nice judge. I like how she ends it. Sounds like John Mayer. Yeah. That's a future Sienna right there. That little girl. I know, I know. So that was my day at the park. Very nice. They didn't really know much about American Idol. No. You're so good with those kids, though. It's amazing. She's a kid whisperer. Well, the little boy, he was so cute. Speaking of Sienna, she has an unspoken war going on right now. I do. And here's the deal. Sienna is, as you know, getting married in a few weeks. Two weeks. Two weeks from tomorrow. Weeks. Two weeks. Yeah. From tomorrow. Yeah, from tomorrow. I got to get down to the men's warehouse pretty soon. We need to go there. They're going to have to tailor your stuff. All right. They're not going to have it. Dude, they're not going to have it off. I get what you're saying, all right? They're not going to have you off the rack, pal. Okay? You have a tent section for my boy here, okay? You got a tent section? Yeah. My little Mexican friend here. Latino, dude. Latino. Don't say Mexican. Don't offend anybody. Don't want to offend anybody.
It's okay. I'm Mexican, Woodsy. It's all right. So anyway, Sienna says that she has an unspoken war going on right now. I do. This week, the dishes at her house, they just keep piling up. And neither her nor her fiancé, Todd, are doing anything. Oh, I've been there. It's a standoff. It's a standoff. It's a standoff. I do this with cat puke all the time. She just walked back and stepped over it. I will basically build a brick wall to jump over past the cat vomit before I'll acknowledge it. And I'm seriously, I'm like a cat vomit camel. I can go forever. I can go forever and ever without ever looking at it. You can puke on your pillow, dude, and you're not going to clean it up. I'll be like, hey, listen. I don't believe that. That's going to entomb itself before I do anything about it. It's going to form into a hard disc that you can pick up and throw off your bed. Basically. But she says the dishes keep piling up. She says when I got home from work yesterday, she could tell that he had kind of organized them. Getting them ready for you to wash. Exactly. But he didn't wash one. He didn't wash one. Do you have a dishwasher? Yes. It needed to be unloaded. Oh, that's the bit. Yeah. She says neither of them have cracked.
And she was going to find out who's going to crack first. But it's still there. We haven't even talked about it. Like, normally I always do it. But this week I've had a very. And you guys will have a conversation at least. We haven't had a conversation. No, I know. But in a normal situation. Are you going to do them? Right. And this week I'm like, you know what? I have been having a. I do a lot. There's a wedding in two weeks and he hasn't done anything. Todd. Except for meet with the band yesterday. Wash the dishes, pal. Yeah. Okay. It'd be a lovely Valentine's treat for your Valentine's. So I just. I'm not going to complain. And he's not going to complain because he knows he's in the wrong. Right. Well, he's organized. I think that's a start. He organized him. Put him alphabetically. It's my turn now to do something. Dude, you pushed him aside. Todd, you better watch it, dude. She is on fire. Do you think he's listening right now? I hope he is. You know, well, first of all, in our house, it would never happen because Rebecca is a neat freak. So is Todd. That's probably why he organized him. Really? Yes. Todd, call me this weekend if you need to get away. You can always crash with the kid, dude. It's fine. Rebecca's gotten better at it. Uh-huh. But she'll, like, wash the dishes before she puts them in the dishwasher. Well, you have to. It's like cleaning the house before the maid comes. I don't rinse. She does that. She does that, yeah. Oh, she, like, soaps them up and everything? Oh, yeah. Out of the way. I've got to mop the floor. The maid's coming. Yeah. I've got to vacuum. I've got to mop. I've got to do all the laundry. Rebecca has me clean my office before our housekeeper goes through there to clean it.
You know why? She doesn't want to be embarrassed like we're filthy. We're filthy, babe. That's why we have a baby. Because we're filthy. I was thinking she wanted you to do that so that no paperwork that you needed got thrown away accidentally. Oh, yeah. No, please. It has nothing to do with that. She wants it to look clean before the house cleans. Because the last thing you want is the house cleaner to think that you're dirty. Right. There's a reason we're not cleaning the house. Right. It's dirty. It's kind of like not picking up your trash in the movie theater. That's what those guys get paid for, right? Stop it. What? Oh, okay. Stop it. You're never going to win it. Isn't that the same thing, though? Don't even do it. You've been shamed out of that. How good was I, by the way? You left it, and I called you. I said, what? And you're like, oh, yeah. It took reminding. He wants a pat on the back because he picked up his dip cup from the floor of the theater. That is such an evil laugh. What did you eat there at the theater? Popcorn and milk duds and a Coke. And he made me go get the courtesy cups. I did. Did you do it? Yes. Because I was going to the restroom. You went and got him a cup to spit in? I got him a couple. I said,
Um, hi. Can I have some courtesy cups? She goes, some what? I go, just some little cups to put water in. My little sister chews tobacco. I would have never called them a courtesy cup. That's what they say on the side. He goes, hey, will you give me some courtesy cups? I'm like, okay. And yeah, and she goes, do you want some water in there or just the cups? I'm like, just the cups. I felt so dirty walking away with them. Woods does a thing where he takes the cup and he puts napkins in them. And the reason for the napkins is in case it spills over. Right. Like in your living room? Oh, we haven't discussed that yet. Great. My wife doesn't know about this. Great. She does now. No, she does. Is she listening? It's happening right now on the radio. Hit the dump, dude. Woodsy was at... Dump it. Hit the delay button. That sounds wrong. Hit the dump. We were at... We were at my house and we were all getting together to talk about the show before we came on the air, right? We were all talking about the new Mikey show is going to be like and everything. Right. And Woodsy all day long. It's a filthy habit. I tell him I wish he would quit the smoking and the chewing of the tobacco. But he's there and he's got this cup and he's got his little wadded up napkins in there and he's doing his thing. It was in an Ozarka bottle.
It was in a, yeah, it was in a water bottle. And we'd been going on about four hours. So it was getting full. Yeah. And he was getting more and more nervous, Purvis. Yeah. And so he had to step out of the room to go get something in our living room. And I hear, and it starts to spill out all over our fireplace and run down onto the carpet. And it's going down like the ledge where the crown molding is. Do you think right now? Rebecca is running. She's looking. I'm so sorry, Rebecca. She's running over there. It was like the Kennedy cover-up, dude. I didn't see. Who called him out? I did. My sisters. My sisters did. In person you did. At that moment. Who called him out at the moment? I did. I said. Yeah, way to go, Woods. Way to go, man. Yeah, great. She goes, Mikey. What's your spill? What's your spill? Spit cup everywhere. I met Woods like five minutes ago, and I'm like, look what he did. Look what he did. Cool, man. Oh, look, there goes Woods' spit cup all over our fireplace. He caught it, you know. I mean, it could have been a lot worse. Could have been a lot worse. He did have pretty nice reflexes. You know what I thought was great about it was Woods immediately downplaying it. Oh, no. That was cool. That's fine. I got it. I got it. I got it. Don't worry. Don't worry.
I'll pick it up right now. I got a towel. Don't worry. It's fine. And he comes back frantic. Sweating. Bullet. And he's just wiping it all down. You can't even tell, dude. You can't tell. Don't tell her. Rebecca's on the line. Is she on the line? No, no. Todd is on the line. Oh, no. Sienna's fiance. Oh, no. Hi, Todd. Hey, how's it going? What up, UJ? I thought you would be at work. Are you at work? I'm at work. Oh, you have to drive. Yeah, I heard you talking about the dishes. So what's the deal, Todd? I mean, you did organize them, right? It sounds like you did do an organization of the dishes. Well, yeah, I was just trying to make it look a little neater. Because somebody wasn't going to do them. Well, I've been busy. Well, I realize that. like to rinse her dishes. I have people for that, darling. I need to clean the dishes after she doesn't rinse the dishes. I hear you. I do rinse the dishes. Sometimes. She puts all the dishes in the sink. So then when I go over to rinse my dish, there's already dishes in the sink. Ah, food sink. Sienna, you either rinse the dishes or you don't. I pile them in the sink. You don't rinse them. So you don't rinse them. I do sometimes. When it's something like...
Like, say I had rice in there. Then I put a little water in. I don't, like, clean it. I just put a little water so it doesn't stick. Yeah, but it's horrible for me because then I go to the sink to rinse my dish because I'm used to doing that. And there's no place for the stuff to go because the sink is full of dishes. I'm the one that always does the dishes, though, so who cares? Who did the dishes last night? Not last. Oh, you did. He did do him last night. Oh, he finally did it? Yeah, I forgot. That's awesome. Sorry, I totally forgot. Because I fall asleep early. So when I'm typing my email, you know. Yeah, while you were sleeping, I finished him up. What a boy, dude. Happy Valentine's Day, by the way. Thanks, babe. I love you so much. Love you, too. Thank you, Todd. I love you, too, Todd. Man, I bet you wouldn't spill any spit cups over at their house. Never. I'd sit there for a month. I was really worried when he said he was on the line. I was like, oh, no. He's like, listen, I've been thinking. It's been an unspoken war. I said something wrong. I don't think this is going to work out. No. Let's see. 570-1949 is our number. 570-1949. Let's see. Where's my little news sheet? Here we go. A couple of things that we haven't told you about yet. First of all, movies that are coming out today. What do we got in theaters today, Ciena? Great movie. Yeah.
We're all going to go see next week. Yeah. It's called Valentine's Day, my friends. She's made no secret that that's the movie that we're going to all have to go see. It's called Valentine's Day. Valentine's Day. Well, that's why I switched with Woods this week because that's the one I really want to see. Are you going to be able to refrain from seeing that this weekend? Oh, yeah. I can't wait to sleep for the entire thing. I never go to movies. Like she did to mine. Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't. I don't care. I'm six. You guys are going to. He's going to love it. I'm six years old. In Valentine's Day, Julie Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner. Here's Taylor Swift's scene. Here's the scene with Taylor Swift in it. So how did you guys meet? It's really funny, actually. Like, I was not in the universe. He used to shoot spit wads at me in Spanish class, which is, like, so junior high. But then one night I was brushing out my hair when I got home, and I found this spit wad. but it was really a note. What? And it said, what's up? And I was like, that is so cute. And then I liked it. They say her acting is not very well, very good. Oh, really? She's addicted to singing, but everyone else is huge. Was that Hamlet? Stop. Also out, The Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins. That one looks really good. And Percy Jackson in The Olympians, The Lightning Thief. Uma Thurman's in it. Nice. Still haven't told you why Alec Baldwin was hospitalized, so I will.

We don't use any of that greasy stuff you get at other places. Yeah, it's not greasy. Not greasy at all. My buddy Mark tried them. What'd you think, Mark? I tried the El Pastor tacos. What's up with the pineapple? Let me tell you about the El Pastor tacos, man. We marinate it for 24 hours, and then we grill it with grilled pineapple. Delicious, sweet, sour, spicy, all at the same time. Hey, Brian from the Nervous Records. What are you doing here hanging out with Mark and Caesar? Hey, Tim Piles. We're just eating some food. Really? Are you sure you're not cutting a commercial? No, man, we're just having a conversation. Really? Yeah, are we supposed to be cutting a commercial? I'm a musician. I don't endorse things. Oh, this is awkward. Mama Testa Taqueria, Richmond and University in Hillcrest. Maybe I should write a jingle. Taylor loves us.

Why was Alec Baldwin hospitalized? Well, his younger daughter called 911 yesterday. She's 14. Her name is Ireland. That's the one that he yelled at. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's had some problems with this one. And she called 911, said her father was unresponsive. And 911 came, he went to the hospital, and he was let go later that day. And they said he was totally fine. Really? So we don't really know why he was hospitalized. The rep just says it was a misunderstanding.
Sure it was. A misunderstanding. That's a stupid, like, come on, dude. Sounds a little weird to me. I passed out drunk. Why do they never cop to anything? They always try to sweep it under the rug, and it always comes back to bite them in the butt. I know. Yeah, you should just say it right from the very beginning. Anybody watch Survivor? Do you watch Survivor? No. I don't watch Survivor. My wife likes it, and the only reason that I even seem remotely interested to watch it this time is because it's people from the past that are heroes or villains. Oh. Where are they? Do you know? Where what? Where is the survivor? What island? I don't know. I think it's Manhattan. I think it's the island of Manhattan. Long Island. Yeah, Long Island. That's my thing with survivor. It's like they put these people on an island and see if they can survive. And it's like actual people live on this island year round all the time. Right. So it doesn't really seem that challenging. Exactly. Like there's people doing it, pal. Yeah. You know, let's see. Woodsy.
He has some sports for us to tell us about. What do you got going on, Woods? There's a lot, man. Like I said this weekend, we've got the Winter Olympics. We've got the NBA All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas. And, of course, I move right when we have them. We have the Super Bowl next year, and I move. It's a good move, kid. Get over it. It's a great move. You're moving up. And the Daytona 500 this weekend, too. So last night, Mikey, LeBron. And the Cavs won their 13th straight game. That's pretty good, isn't it? That's awesome. 13 in a row. To win any game, you know, 13 games in a row was a big accomplishment. Close to a record? Not even close. Really? Not even close. The 71-72 Lakers won 33 games in a row. Oh, my. That's awesome. That's a lot of ballin'. Did you hear about the North Carolina Tar Heels head coach? Uh-uh. Basically, he was getting a massage and a young lady had told him. I don't know where this is going. Go anywhere. He was at Asian Tan getting a massage. Happy ending. They were talking to him about the tragedy in Haiti. That's Roy Williams at Asian Tan. They were talking to him about the tragedy in Haiti. And the massage therapist said.
You know, Coach, what happened in Haiti is a catastrophe. What you're having is a disappointment. And he turned around and said, well, that depends on what chair you're sitting in because it feels like a catastrophe to me. How do we know this? Yeah. Because he left and the massage person jumped on the phone. Yeah, talk to her. The girl from E! News was under the massage bag. Yeah, seriously. Actually, Dave Matthews. Dave Matthews was under the table. And he called me. He let us know when he came in this morning. Yeah, he called me this morning and told me about it. So, also, guys, I want to remind the Padres fans, go out to FanFest. Show some support. I'm a Yankee fan, but first, I'm a baseball fan. So, I'm going to go tomorrow to Petco Park, and I'm going to go meet Heath Bell and have him teach me how to throw a slider. This is actually, I mean, a really cool thing that they're doing. You can go with your kids. It's free. Free. 10 to 5. Go meet some of the players. Tony Gwynn Jr. is out there. I mean, big players, so why not go? That's going to be awesome. I'm going to go. Sounds fun. I'm going to go. Are you going to go? I'm going to go. Okay, I heard you like seven times. You get. Don't you have a wedding to plan? I do. All right. Michael Douglas is talking about his son's drug arrest. Yeah, I remember when his son came in and was arrested.
What was he doing? He had a bunch of drugs. I don't remember exactly what kind. Was that funny? Was it funny, Woods? He had a bunch of drugs. Can you, too? I already know. I can tell, like, the first break we do, I can tell if Woods and Sienna are going to go after one another. That's right. I can tell the first break. But today, it hasn't been bad. It's been friendly banter. Yeah. But he did have some drugs. I believe it was cocaine on him. Cameron Douglas. So now Michael's opening up for the first time really about his son. Just basically saying, you know, there were a few years in the 90s. He's blaming himself. You know, I lost my stepfather. My dad had a stroke. My mother had breast cancer. You know, I wasn't kind of not around a lot during Cameron's adolescence. And so he's just saying, you know, he feels partially. at fault for his son's bad behavior. I think he had a little problem, too. Oh, well, yeah. And his son's in prison right now, federal prison. Angelina Jolie, will you adopt kids from Haiti? You will adopt from Haiti. Obviously, you're saying not now, but will you? Is that something that you're looking at? I'm always open to children around the world. We're that kind of a family. Brad and I talk about that. They've got like nine kids, right? Yeah.
But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means. We're not here for that. Octomom's like, you guys should slow down. I think they have six. I think they have six. Let's see if I think I can name them. Shocking. No way. I think. Shocking. Knox, Vivian, those are the twins. Shiloh, those are all three of their children that genetically. Genetically. Yes. Maddox and Pax and Zahara. Whoa. Wow. Well. You're welcome. You're welcome. You know that. And that's all of them. They have six. I've done gossip my entire radio career. It would be bad if I didn't know that. Stinker. I know. Hey, finally an airline that's doing something good for you. Southwest Airlines is lowering their prices just in time for Valentine's Day. Really? So people in San Diego, if you want to go to Arizona, if you want to go up to San Francisco, like the close-by flights, $39.99. $39. One-way ticket. Want to get away? Seriously? Yeah. I'm trying to find. The flight must be booked by February 11th, which is yesterday. Get the DeLorean up to 88 miles an hour and you'll be fine. Well, why was this just posted on CNN? Not CNN. Sienna.com. That was CNN. They said that you could book for $39. Man. I just saw it on Sine on San Diego last night. Yeah.
It was the 11th. Darn it. So, you know, if you did book it, good for you. Hey, did you guys know that the Super Bowl is coming up? It's the Saints against the Colts. It's going to be a shootout. 5-7-0. Everyone just got so excited writing things down. Oh, you idiot. Never mind. Sorry. 570-1949 is our number. You can also text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. I'm an idiot. I have no idea. who the inventor of the Frisbee is, but he has left planet Earth at age 90. Yes. Now, this guy, he was in World War II, and he and his wife made a little invention where they threw around this little metal disc, and they thought it was so fun. They'd go to the beach and throw around this little disc, which he called the Pluto platter. And then he decided, you know, I'm going to turn this into an invention. And then people bought it.
Wham-O Manufacturing bought it, and they turned it into the name The Frisbee, and now it's famous, and he just died. If we went downstairs right now, and Woodsy was standing 12 feet from me, I could not get a Frisbee to him. It would go back and hit you in the face. You're one of those guys. I always put it behind me. Right. I'd throw it behind me, or I'd throw it, you know. Like, I can't control a Frisbee. Did you ever do hacky sack? When you were a kid? Hacky sack. I did. When you were a kid? No. Yes. Played real sports, dude. Get out. Hacky sacks are really cool here. That's fun. I play real sports. I'm not trying to be the best at exercising. Okay? Jay, you did it? Oh, yeah. That and frisbee. I'm the master frisbee thrower. Weird. Everything that was a fad with kids when I was a kid, I couldn't do any of them. Bugs. Hacky sack couldn't do it. So hard. Yeah, I'd try one time, not be able to do it, and then never try it again. Hacky sack was like an art. Like, I remember guys sleeping on their hacky sack and stuff because you wanted to, like, cushion it down, you know, so it wasn't too fat. Yeah, so it was all soft and pliable. Yeah, and like... Yeah, no. And, no, it was like an art. They would wet it and stuff to make it... Stop! How am I supposed to go on with my stories? It's like every other word. Grow up! Nope.
And you're being inappropriate. Well, of course you are. Okay, so those, right? Yeah. Rubik's Cube. Couldn't do it. I took the stickers off it, dude. That's how I solved it. I took the stickers off. I'm still working on mine. I got it when I was 12. You ever see the YouTube of the guy that does it in like two minutes? I thought it was quicker than that. Maybe even quicker than that. It's amazing. Oh, yeah. There was kids at my school that were able to do it in like 30 seconds. Will Smith can do it in the pursuit of happiness. Really? That's true. Oh, yeah. He's a genius. Is there anybody in the room right now who knows how to do a Rubik's Cube? No? None of us are sure. No one knows. I took it apart. I took the stickers off. Yeah, I took it apart. There's books on how to do it. There's got to be a whole book on how to do a Rubik's Cube. Yeah, no way. There's got to be a trick to it. But, yeah, I did the same thing. I took it apart. It's always awesome when you get a puzzle that you have to cheat at. What sense of satisfaction do you take from that? But any of that stuff. Couldn't do any of it. Let's see what else is going on. In Florida, a woman was denied a protective order from a stalker before her...
Her own murder? Is that the deal? This is pretty crazy. This girl is 23 years old. Her name is Alyssa, was Alyssa Branton. And she used to be a waitress at Hooters. And when she was working there, she got this guy whose name was Troy, Roger Troy. He was 61 years old. And basically just started sending her letters, would come into Hooters every day. Finally, she left Hooters and she was married. She's a... Had a husband, left, started working at AT&T, and she just kept getting like hundreds and hundreds of emails from this. 61-year-old stalker. So she filled out like 70 pages of documents. She sent in emails to the court saying, look, I have this serious stalker. I'm scared for my life. And they denied her any protective order. Like she was asking for some sort of security, you know? Really? And a couple days later, he killed her right outside of her work at AT&T in the parking lot. He shot her. That's terrible. Isn't that just horrific? You hear stuff like that where people are, you know, where...
They're just not taken seriously for whatever reason. They just don't get taken seriously. Letterman on the Jersey Shore kids. Speaking of seriously. And with all the snow, you know the guys from the show, the Jersey Shore? Yes. Here's what they did. They took the chains from around their necks and applied them to their tires so they could get some trash. That's what they did. I'm the same guy as an adult. that I was when I was the kid that couldn't play the hacky sack. So as a 39-year-old adult, I can't put chains on a car. Not very many people can. You know, dude, I was going to go to Big Bear today, and then I found out I needed chains. I scrapped the whole thing. You did? I'm going to sit at the crib, watch some movies. I don't blame you. Well, if you live in San Diego, you don't have a huge need to have chains. Unless you want to go to Big Bear, like I do. Yeah, and people from San Diego. They did going up to the snow and doing all that stuff. It's just that a lot of guys, they just instinctively know how to do stuff. It's so easy. See? Weird that you know how to do it. Yeah, dude. He can take a cantaloupe and a shoestring and he'll make chains to go under your car. I could teach you how to do it in five minutes. It's because you're MacGruber, bro. I highly doubt it. Oh, done. Let's do it. My fiance, Todd, is just like Jay. Really? I love it. He can fix anything. So jealous. On Thanksgiving, we went to Big Bear.
My wife was so happy going to Big Bear. Took the whole family. Oh, what a blast, right? Sounds like it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I had to get one of those things that go on top of the car, on top of the SUV. A rack. I don't even know what it's called. I had to put that, right? So we get there, and we're in the cabin. And it's the day before we're going to leave. And, oh, my goodness, they're having a blast, the family. Rebecca's having a glass of wine and everybody's watching some movies on the DVD. And, all right, guys, I'll see you later. I'm going to go get chains for the car. And so I'm slipping on the snow, on the ice, you know, walking out to the car a little short. Chubby Mexican guy. I'm amazed that you went anywhere by yourself. I had to do it. I had to go get the chains. I can't believe this. Your brother went with you. Boy Blunder went with me. Seriously, he lives up there. He used to work on the show, but got fired for putting the F word on the air 50 times in a row. But it was, you know, did you know, Woodsy knows Boy Blunder. Yeah, I know Blunder. He lives up there.
In Big Bear. In Big Bear. Maybe the kid goes to crash with Double B. Yeah, how about that? He probably would. He'd take you. He'd love it. He would love it. But anyway, so he goes, I'll help you out. So we go to probably five different places at 9 o'clock at night in Big Bear. Kmart, you know, drugstores. And not only do we have to get chains, we've got to get chains for two different vehicles. Because we've got her mom's car. So you had to measure and know the size of the tires. Can't find them or anything. So finally we find them. We come back two hours later. Now they're on a second movie. Everybody at the house is on a second movie. They're watching the Godfather trilogy. Laughing, having a good time. Oh, brownies, ice cream. You can smell it. Warm, hot cocoa. Buckets of fun. Buckets of Fun. And yeah, Buckets of Fun was me, both the two chubbies outside with our frozen little hands trying to wrap chains around the tire. That sounds like the worst thing. And so we do. And the next day they close one of the roads. There's only one road out of Big Bear. So I had like.
I freakishly, before we went up there, I freakishly was like, we have to have, like, walkie-talkies and stuff, you know, when we go. Because what if we get, you know, we're, like, driving in the snow and everything. And so my mother-in-law comes along and goes, there's a strange noise coming from the chains on our car. On the walkie-talkie. Over. Breaker breaker. Okay, got you, rubber duck. Pull over and... I'll take a look at it over now. Roger that. Roger that. So we pull over in like the brown snow, mud, and there I am in my little jeans and my plumber crack. Chain wallet dangling. Chain wallet dangling. It's frozen. Frozen to your hip. Trying to, and I'm like, and you ever get to that point where you're doing something and you're just.
All you're doing is moving your hands around to try to make it seem like you're... Because you really don't know anything. Yeah, I did that for three years at my last job. Shuffling paper. I'm going to get this going here. Get on the phone. Yep. I'm going to get this here. So many people, that's what they do at work. Yeah, that's what I was doing. I'm so busy. Oh, what is it? Papers everywhere. You just threw all your papers into the air. That was you. What's going over at Woods' cubicle? Yeah, he's busy, dude. Leave me alone. I'm on the phone. Can't you see how busy he is? Making fake calls. All I know is he must be busy because he's got so many papers. He's been doing stuff with the papers for so long. But that was me. And so finally, I started seeing... I'm working on it for 45 minutes trying to get the chains on the tires, right? And I just noticed the cars that are passing by me. Not one car has chains. No way, dude. Unnecessary chainage. So I took the chains off. Did you throw the chains like that? Oh, I wanted to eat the chains. Let me ask you this. You don't curse. Did you curse? You didn't. I'm proud of you. No. Did you say, oh, fuck. Oh, fuck. No, no. Mikey just stood there. No, you know what I do? Why? I go into my own private misery. Yeah. When I get into that place, I just get real quiet.
And I start to feel sorry for myself. Yeah. And I just get real quiet, feel sorry for myself. And I go, I didn't want to do this. No part of me wanted to do this. I didn't ask for this. I didn't ask for this. All I want to be doing right now is be at home in bed with a wireless. I just want to be with my little laptop. Whenever the men are miserable like that, though, I guarantee it's worse for the wives because we have to deal with you. That's the worst. That's the worst part. It is the worst. Now, that is that is interesting, because one thing that I can tell is that, like, Rebecca hates it because she knows, like, she just doesn't want to deal with my. She knows you're going to complain. She knows I'm irritated. And you're not going to voice it to anyone else. You're only going to voice it to her. And so she's like, oh, she does the thing where she just goes dead. It's like the batteries got turned off because nothing she says is going to be right. Right. Oh, absolutely. We know. Yeah. be quiet when they're like that. Right. And so I get back in the car and, of course, I'm overplaying it like I'm colder than I actually am. Yeah. I'm like, oh, gosh. Like us at the photo shoot. Yeah. It's freezing. It was cold. It was 62 degrees. I know. I know. And we're all like, oh, my gosh. We're going to have to eat one another. How much longer? So I said, so when we got back home,
When we got back, like she waited a good week to go by to talk about it. And she said, I know that there were some challenges. So diplomatic. But we really had a good, and I said, Catalina, next year. Because she wanted to make a tradition out of it. No. I thought you said she's going to. It is. And you can't get out of it. I can't. I don't think I could do it again. Never again. I don't want to do it. Just say, if you put the chains on the tires, then I'm in. I don't want to put chains on tires. I know. That's why I'm not going skiing today. Why don't we buy a tank, babe? What do you think? Should we buy a tank down the armory? You would rather do that. I would rather buy a tank than put chains on a car. I know. I'm with you, dude. I'm with you. I don't like doing the guy stuff. Write that down. Just with a four-wheel drive vehicle, they don't even make you put them on. You just have to show them. If you have four-wheel drive, you're set. Oh, really? Yeah. Well, that definitely comes in handy in San Diego to have a four-wheel drive. My truck's four-wheel drive. I know. It is handy. Why not? I use it all the time. Jay doesn't worry about stuff like this because everything guy, he can do. He can do. I can't hang a picture in my apartment. They're leaning against the wall. Oh, if I were to hang a picture in my house, Todd would be like,
No. You put it in the wrong place. There's no more here. Yeah, stud, whatever that is. You need a stud finder, a hammer, a nail. I have none of them. I have a stud finder. He doesn't need a stud finder. I'm right over here. I can find four of them right now. Yeah, I can't do anything. I can't do anything handy at all. And I don't try to pretend that I can. My wife does 50,000 times more in the handy department. Mine too. She put together our grill. My wife did. You guys. Yeah, put together our grill. Weren't you embarrassed? I tried and I was like, and I dropped like five F-bombs and all kinds of words and threw all the stuff down. I was like, I'm done. I'm out. Every child's toy that we own, Rebecca. Yeah. Same here. We got nude dressers in our room. You got nude dressing? Nude dressers. Nude dressers? They're naked, yeah. Sounds like an oxymoron. And Todd was like, what we have is fine. And I was like, no, I want nude dressers. So I said, look, I'm going to get them. And I got them from World Market. Love that place. Cost plus. And everything you buy there, you have to put together yourself. So the deal was, if I get them, I'm putting them together. Yeah, he had to put the whole thing together. I started like, I can do it. Oh, man. Failed miserably. Forget it. I love it.
You do? Yes. I love putting stuff together. How come? I'm going to buy a TV stand this weekend. Would you mind coming by the crib, making that right for me? Your hands get red and they hurt and you have to twist tight and it's, oh, I hate it. You're doing it wrong. Probably. Wow. Really? Yeah, really. Did Garrett pick the music today? He sure did. Garrett picked Journey. Don't stop believing. No, can't be. Hey, dude, can we talk after the show? Absolutely. I can spell journey. I said don't play anything if you can spell it. No. You took that on. Give me your best Steve Perry, Mikey. You ready? I'm ready. Just a city boy. Born and raised in South Detroit. Wow. Not bad. That is good. You took the midnight. When I did karaoke the other night. Nailed it. Let me tell you. When I did karaoke, it was awful. But let me explain.
It was because they did the karaoke thing in a lower key than I'm capable of. I'm like, you guys don't understand. Just a city boy. Just a city boy. Johnny Cash. Born and raised in South Detroit. It was awful. Yeah, I did this song. It was impressive. No, it wasn't. It was good, though. I'm telling you, it was in a row. I could do it. We'll do the rest of the tour with you. We'll take care of the bus. Oh, the live version. Jay's freaking out right now. He's like, fine, Jay. All right. Gotta go. We'll be right back. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. What's up, buddy? Who do you want? Woodsy. Of course. You got it. Hang on the line. Woodsy's a popular choice. He did pretty well with the love songs, too. All you have to do, so now it's down to Sienna. I can't wait to get picked last. Why do you say that? How do you know you're going to get picked last? Because I got picked last the last time. I don't like Valentine's Day. I hate sappy boobies. I hate love. Let's do name that documentary. Yeah, let's do name that docudrama. Since when did I become a smoker? Doesn't like love. Doesn't like the sentiment of having to give a card. No, I like cards. I don't like buying one in the store. I don't like the cardboard cards. I like the hemp cards. I like to make mine out of macrame. I like to whittle my boyfriend cards. Dried macaroni on leaves. No. I like to take leaves and berries and make something natural from it and give it to them. I like to write something heartfelt. On the inside of a piece of corn like Native American. Your poetry. Yeah.
to put my poetry. All right, let's get to the lines so we can pick me last. Jay's flipping out, dude. My phone won't answer. I can't answer the lines. Hey, who's this? Sanjaya. Sanjaya, who do you want? Sienna or Lauren? I will take Sienna. She's last again. Sanjaya! Thanks, Sanjaya. That's my bromosexual. That's right. Made my morning. Mikey Show, who's this? M1. Militia General 573. There you go. You get Lauren. You get Lauren. You get Lauren. Congratulations. That's right. All right. Now, if you win, dude, will you pick Flight of the Concord Season 2 DVD or do you want the Inglourious Bastards DVD? Inglourious Bastards. Okay. Hang in the line, okay? Good luck. You have Lauren playing for you. I got the same score as Lauren last time because I knew Pants on the Ground. Here we go. If you know the movie, say your name.
If you get it wrong, you lose a point. Uh-oh. Here we go. Don't look. Sienna? Notebook. You got it. Very good. Sienna. You guys, how could I not get that? Because you're staring at the screen. I can't see it. Well done. Sorry, did I scream really loud? Yeah, but you got it. Okay, I get really competitive. You keeping score? Yeah. Okay, here we go. When I was a little girl, I would pretend I was a princess trapped in a tower. Sienna. Sienna? Pretty woman. Wow. Smoking. You guys, excuse me, who doesn't know that? Turns out finding that list is really working out. Yeah, no doubt. That's weird. Oh, really? That is weird. So weird. Really? Really? So weird. Here we go. You ready? I need something. I got nothing. Dirty Dancing. That's one of my favorite movies. Nice. I was like, what is this music?
It's a lot smaller, but it's just as powerful. That's what you want when you grow up, isn't it? A gun. No! What? Oh, my God. Legends of the Fall. You get it! Nice! Man, almost ran out of time. We're tied. So the name of the movie was Oh, My God? Is that the correct answer? You got it. You ready? Yeah. Get. Titanic. Oh, yeah. That's easy. That was easy. As soon as you hear that. As soon as you hear that. Get next to the likes of her. Get out of here with it. Makes me want to cry, that movie. Forget it, Boyo. Can't remember how it ended. The sequel's coming out, though. Here we go. I want to watch it this weekend. Are you ready? Yeah. A lot of you out here don't know Benjamin Barry. Well, shame on you. Because he is a very talented advertising executive, a knowledgeable sports fan, and a wagering enthusiast. No idea. But most impressively, he is one hell of a singer.
And he has prepared a little... All you guys took too long. What was it? How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. These are all the most... I've seen that. All in the list of the most romantic movies of all time. I don't even know what part that was. Here we go. Okay. I'm going to get the last brownie. Woods. Notting Hill. That was... That was effeminently impressive. That was awesome. I forget what were we talking about. Oh, when we went to see the movie that Woods picked, there was a preview that came on. And one of the guys from Notting Hill was in the movie. And I said, oh, he was from the movie The Replacements. And Woods was like, oh, yeah, he was also in Notting Hill. And I'm like, really, I claim the football movie and you claim Notting Hill? Love Notting Hill. What's the score? Mark that. Zero. It's three to three. I'm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her. Big fat goose egg. You haven't got one, Lauren? I haven't even chimed in. I can't even think of what that was from. Notting Hill. Oh, that's true. Nice, Sienna. So what's the score? Three to three. Woods and I. You guys are tied? Yeah. Is it a tiebreaker?
No, no. Oh, okay. How many are there? Do I have a chance or should I just leave now? No, you're done. You have a chance. Will you grab me a coffee? There are five more. There are five more. You have a chance. You get all of them. Here we go. I think I know. Oh, I think I know, but I'm so nervous. Wait, so if I get it wrong, it's minus one? Do you lose a point? Yeah, you lose a point. Oh, then it's not worth it. Woods, Braveheart. Okay. Officer and a Gentleman. Okay. Oh, I'm so glad I didn't guess. You see Lou Gossett where he's yelling at Richard Gere. And he says, why don't you just quit? I was four when that movie came out. I don't even know. I've heard of it. Ready? Look at Lauren. Just. Three to two now. Scaring into space. Couldn't be more bored. Yeah. She's like, you know what? She's in her mind right now. It's Whole Foods. My heart is breaking. Whole Foods. I'm actually making my grocery list for Whole Foods right now. Hemp. Chewbacca. Tofu. Kombucha. We've been over the fact that I don't like him. Grass. Seaweed salad. Twigs.
Biodebredable wastebasket. Whole Foods. Whole Foods. You ready? You might get this one, Lauren. Yeah. I haven't even heard of most of the movies. You might get this one. Okay, okay. Lauren, Gone with the Wind. You won! How did you, did you tell her what it was? You mouthed. I know. It's a classic movie. I know, for you to say you might get this. It's a classic movie. Yeah, I know. I don't know. Bad, cheesy, new stuff. No. Oh, like the ones I watch. I'm so refined. Like the ones I watch, you mean. Yes. They're so bad. And me. You ready? Yeah. Here we go. I've been doing a lot of singing. I love it. Woods. Lauren. When Harry met Sally. Woods and I are tied again. Back up to three. Three to three to one. There's only two more. This car could be systematic. Damn it. Damn it. I got it. Oh, Lauren, you could have got that one. I haven't lost a contest yet. I'm flipping out right now. You haven't lost yet. I haven't lost yet. Let me demoralize you. This poor guy is on the line right now, J-Mac, wanting Woods to win for him so bad. I can just feel it, how bad J-Mac needs. Wait, I just, you know, Woods needs to be dethroned. Here we go. I agree. Woods, as good as it gets. Wow. Wow, wow, and wow. Darn it. I am so...
tense right now. This is it, isn't it? We're tied four to four. Oh, you're tied? Yes. Is there only one more? No, that was it. Well, we're tied. We need a tiebreaker. Oh, because Lauren got one. Yep. Spoiler. And I missed one. Jay, I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do because we're tied. Flip a coin? You know what we'll do? I know what we could do. What? We'll take a break when we come back. The tiebreaker. We'll get a tiebreaker. Don't do it, Ryan Seacrest. Stop. I have to. We'll take a break when I come back. Do a tiebreaker one. Fantastic. Who knows, Lauren? Maybe you can pull it out right here at the end.

Try a tiebreaker here. Ready. I'm not ready. I'm not ready. You're not ready. Yes, you are. You can do this. Oh, goodness. All right. We were tied. Four to four. Four to four. Okay. Oh, wait. I had one. Four to four to one. Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's right. Lauren had one point. If this question was worth nine, then you'd be in good shape. Are you ready? Yeah. Love Actually. Never heard of it. Damn it! She's very humble when she went. She's hopping around the studio clapping. If she had a football, she would have spiked it. Oh, absolutely. Right. Sanjaya, I got you. That's right, baby. That kid's been getting hooked up left and right, dude. Good Lord. Oh, man. I'm really competitive, and I can never beat you. I finally did. You finally got it. Good job. That was good. And that's a good movie, too. He said, Kettle Sing Us. Never seen it. Never seen it, actually.
Your boy Hugh Grant. Yeah, I know. I can't believe you haven't seen it. He's not my boy. I like one movie he did. That girl who said Carol Singers was Keira Knightley. I like Notting Hill. Okay? Notting Hill is a good movie. Because I'm just a boy standing in front of a girl. You already said that. Asking her to love him. I switched it up, though. By the way, guess what I have? So get. Oh, my gay love you for playing that. I have Wood's mixtape. Yes. Oh. The ultimate. Valentine's Day mixtape. He's going to offer the ultimate Valentine's mixtape to all dudes listening right now. Then you write it on the little cardboard piece. And then you put it on there. And then you list all the songs in those really tiny lines there. On the back of the tape. Yeah. And you write mixtape so that when you file it with the rest of your cassettes. You can easily read in black writing on the white label, mixtape. I did. I made it. It's 20 songs. So is this like for Valentine's Day? Yeah. I've always been, I'm not bragging, but I've always been really good at making mixtapes. He's bragging. I'm bragging. Do you put your voice in it? No. Now that you work at a radio station, you can. I guess I could. I guess I could. So we'll be doing that in just a minute. But first.
Sienna has a list of Hollywood's most desired figures, meaning... No, I'm talking bodies. Body. Now, is this dudes and chicks? It's girls. Oh, it's chicks? It's girls. I'm going to tell you, last year... Roseanne Barr. Yeah, no, Jen Aniston. Yeah, she was the winner last year. Ava Longoria has been the winner before. Couldn't tell you what Ava Longoria really looks like. She's like a little mouse. She's a Latino, like you. Yeah, she's like me. Latina. Latina, I'm sorry. She's married to Tony Parker. Can't tell you what she looks like. So this year... Couldn't describe her to a police sketch artist. Couldn't do it. I don't know if I agree with this year's. Any guesses? Megan Fox. Megan Fox. Wow. Jinx. No, not Megan Fox. Now, they're going proportionally. They say the winner of this is the person who's the most proportional, which is what girls like the most. Charlotte Roos. Scarlett Johansson. Scarlett Johansson. Lane Bryant. Is that what you meant? She's in a band. She's in a band. Juliette Lewis? Courtney Love. Olivia Newton-John. She's a really good-looking husband. Faith Hill. Patsy Cline. Faith Hill. No, she's younger than that. Dakota Fanning.
Gross. A little older than that. She once went to the bathroom in her pants in San Diego. Fergie. Fergie. Oh, God. Gross. Fergie. She looks like she's... Never mind. Yeah, thanks. I appreciate that. She's just road hard. And everything Butterface. Yeah, everything Butterface. Butterface. And in second was Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady's wifey. Money. And I don't even know who this girl is. Olivia Wilde? Olivia Wilde. Wilde. Is actually her name. It's how it's pronounced. You would know. In Germany. Olivia Wilde. Olivia Wilde is wonderful. She's number three. She's the most wonderful girl of her scene. Yes. Is that it? A great figure. All right, Woodsy. Where's your mixtape? It's on my blog. Oh, it is? Yeah. Okay. Go to MikeyShow.com. I'm serious. You got 20 bucks to spend on your old lady for Valentine's. She's not an old lady. She's a beautiful, beautiful woman. First of all, dude, Mr. Romance is saying you got 20 bucks to spend on your old lady, okay? Go to iTunes. Put them in.
Very important. They have to be in this order. This was well thought out. Really? Yes. What, tempo? Just the way the flow. Tempo is very important. Actually, I talked to Garrett and Scott Shannon before I did this. Yeah, let me take a look at this. I used to work with Scott Shannon. I'll tell you what, just in terms of tempo, how well we could put this thing together. If you're going to do any Depeche Mode on there, make sure Ryan Adams comes right after it. Summer of 69? No, Ryan Adams. Whatever. Okay, are you ready? Yes. Number 20, By Your Side, Sade. You never heard of it. Yes, you have. Yes, you have. I think I need your time, baby. No. Never heard of it. It was my wedding song. Baby, no. I can't see too well. Is that Sade? Is that it? I can't think of the words. I think I'd leave your side, baby. I think I'd leave your side, baby. It's beautiful, but that is way too cheesy of a wedding song. Oh, that was my sister's wedding song. That was mine, too. Because it's so cheesy. Sorry, it's not. You'd better not say it. Take it easy. He almost blew a huge secret. Yeah, don't reveal it. This is it? It's a beautiful song. Woods looked like he had to put his head towards the ceiling and fan his eyes for a minute. It's my wedding song, dude. I used to work in a restaurant. This was on, like, repeat. Over and over. First time I've ever heard it in my life. Really? It's really beautiful, dude.
Beautiful. All right. Woods is number 19. Sun Shower. Chris Cornell. Yep. Five people know it. I'm one of them. The mold can grow on my cheese. Yes. Is that the song? Yeah. That everybody in the world that's heard it likes but you. Number 18. Moldy cheese. My love for you is real. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals. I said, give me something I know. I begged you. I begged you that I know a song on it. I begged him. I said, Woods, please. He's an awful person. I said, please put one thing that everyone knows. Can I look? This is what he said to me. He looks at me straight in the face. He goes, dude, don't worry. Every song. Don't worry. Hey, listen. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals. My love for you is real. I put songs on that are going to work. I'm not surprised, dude. There's no Taylor Swift on there. No American Idol winners are on that mix. Because it's a good mix. Number 17. Go deaf? What it's supposed to do for you is make you ponder the question, oh, I wonder what that sounds like. What is this mix you made? Trust me. Just trust me. Oh, good. Here's one that everyone will know. Because everybody goes, you know what? When I think of the first song I want to dance to at my wedding, I think of Falling For You. By Seabird. What is that? I've never even heard of Seabird. You guys need to open up, dude. I'm telling you, this is a brilliant... I'm going to make this. You know what? I didn't put Cracker and the Hen on there. I was going to, but you know what? I didn't put him on there. I'm going to make this. I'm going to make you this tonight. I'm going to give it to Rebecca, and we'll get her opinion on it Monday. Yeah. The Cha-Cha Willies. How come you didn't put them on there? Keep going. Number 14. Set Fire to the Third Bar by Snow Patrol. Which, Sienna, is the song on the Dear John soundtrack? I haven't seen it. It's in all the commercials. Well, everyone's singing it in their head right now. No. So catchy. Number 13, Desire by Ryan Adams. This is awful. Is it awful? I'm yawning. I didn't put Belle Biv DeVoe in there like your man did. Wish you would have. We might know it. It doesn't matter. I'm telling you, this works. Who doesn't like Belle Biv DeVoe? This works. Number 12, Shattered by Remy Zero.
I wish I had something to throw. Shattered. Why don't you throw Matt's fogless mirror and see if it's shattered? Trust me. This works. It works. It works. It works. Do you have anything recognizable I could throw at you? Or maybe I should throw something at you that nobody would recognize. Throw his pen that he keeps clicking on you. Number 11. Fade Into You by Mazzy Starr. You know that song. I do? Yeah. What is it? How does it go? Are you reaching for the guitar? And the sun shines on the bay, yeah. Is this what it is? Is that right? You've never heard that. I have no idea what that was. I bet you guys have heard it. Never. Okay, let's sing. Next. Number 10, We're the Same, Matthew Sweet. Yep. Number 9, Can't Get You Off My Mind by Lenny Kravitz. What's that? The Japanese import side B? What is that? By Lenny Kravitz. It's American Woman in another language. You know this one. In French.
Get you off my mind. In French, it's pronounced can't get you off my mind. But in English, it's American woman. Exactly. I do know that one. You're awful. Number eight, Return to Me by Matthew Ryan. Is that your cousin? No. You guys are like, I guarantee people are like, oh, my God, that's a great song. Just hear it. Hear it first before you judge. It's not Taylor Swift. Sienna. I don't even like Taylor Swift. Sure you don't. It's not Michael Bublé. I love the boob. Number seven, Into Your Arms by the Lemonheads. I know that. I love that candy. It makes really sour. You know that one, Lauren? Yeah. Oh, I know that song. I don't. Number six, you're listening to Woods' unrecognizable most romantic songs. 100% guarantee. that they won't recognize. The ones that I have recognized, I've liked, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. This one I know. I'm making one for all of you, and you're all going to hear it, and I want an honest opinion. Make me one. I'll listen. I will. Yeah, as long as I'm driving to the Grand Canyon, and I'm in the middle of Nevada, and there's no stations I can pick up, and I'm like, well, I've got that mixtape of unrecognizable songs. I'll give it to Rebecca. Rebecca will give you the report. Okay. Okay. I recognize this one.
Joe Cocker, You Are So Beautiful. Finally, everyone in the room is like, oh yeah, I know that song. Number five. Lover, You Should Have Come Over by Jeff Buckley. That's a good one. You would like that one. I'm sure I would. You would like Jeff Buckley. Number four. Ready for Love by India Arie. Wow, you went there, huh? Yeah, that's the number four. I think I know it. How does it go? I'm not going to sing it. Why not? I'm embarrassed. Just do it. Prove your mix. Find it, Mike. India Re. I think I like that one. She's good. It's like the most, it's one of the most amazing songs I've ever written. Number three is called Gravity by Embrace. Yep. British band. Yeah, they're just like U2, only a little different. Yep. And I know the last two artists. Love Song by The Cure. And his number one.
Most romantic, unrecognizable song is Forever by Ben Harper. Good song. So does that mean that's the first one actually on the track? That's the first one that goes on the track, and then you go down in order. Okay. I pled with him. This is brutal. I begged him. To get recognizable music. He goes, dude, I got a great idea. How about for Valentine's Day? How about if I put together a mixture? And I go, but Woodsy, your taste in music is so clear. Dude, I get it. All right? What do you think I'm going to do to you? What am I going to do to you? I know. They got to be recognized. But, Woodsy, I beg you. I beg you. Please make sure. Dude, what am I going to do? Of course I'm going to put them on. It's a bunch of stuff you know. Dude, dude, dude, dude. Trust me. I've seen the picture of Woods on the M1 site that they turned Paul Blart. Have you seen it, Woodsy?
Woodsy, have you seen it? He's crying. Everyone go. M1site.com. Look at Woodsy. We'll be right back with the Woodsy bashing show. My wife had tears streaming down her face. She couldn't even tell me. I go, babe, calm down. What? What? She goes... Is it his face on Paul Blart? It's his face. Or is it just Paul Blart? Is it? Poor Woodsy. I know, you've taken a beating. I love you, Woods. 20 more minutes. A bit of a beating. I love you. All right. Did Woods pick this up? Yeah, Matthew's sweet. Sorry, it's not the black-eyed peas. There's some crap. It's about 50-50, Woodsy. What do you mean? Well, 50% of the people are just killing me.
For not knowing the music and 50% of the people are killing you for they don't know the music. Okay. Here's the deal. All I ask, it's kind of like we tell people, give it a chance. If you don't like it, I respect your opinion and you're entitled to it. But if you do and it works, I told you so. Listen, Woodsy is the more, Woodsy is the more musically refined. Yeah. You know? Lauren is, and Jay is too. Jay really knows music. Right, Jay? Yeah, I love it. How about you, Lauren? What's that? You know the music? There was some that I didn't know on there, but like I said, because I knew a lot of them and I liked everyone that I knew, I'd be willing to give it a chance. Thank you. Since I was seven years old, I've listened to pop music. I've liked pop music since I was seven. But dude, you also like the deft tones and harder stuff. Yeah. This is a Valentine's mix. So what I wanted to capture... are lyrics that are going to make your sweetheart swoon. Okay? And I got a text. Brian Adams, everything I do, I do it for you. I got a text that said, he tried it. Your brother doesn't count. It's not my brother. Obviously, it's someone close if they're texting you. It is not. He's an M1. He's a listener. Maybe you appreciate our listeners like I do.
I want to choke him. Best mixtape ever. My wife loves every one of those songs. Personally, I didn't know half of them even existed. That's the best part about a mixtape. Someone gives it to you and you're like, all of a sudden I know about these bands that I didn't know about. That is kind of the idea of a mixtape. It turns you on to good music. You don't want to put all songs that they know. It's turning somebody on to something else. Right. If they could have made it themselves, what's the point? Right. Thank you, Lauren. You're welcome. Team Woods over here. I would have never known Puff the Magic Dragon by Peter, Paul, and Mary had I not gotten a mixtape from my now wife, you know, with that on it. So I have to hand it to you. You are kind of right. I just thought I'd do something different on my blog and maybe try to help some of my fellas out there because it's always worked for me. When I tell you, Woods, who is topping the best-selling list, you'll probably want to puke. I'm just going to leave now. Who is it, Sienna? It's a girl by the name of Lauren Conrad. I had to ask who Lauren Conrad is. Lauren Conrad's from the hills, right? L.C. She's formerly from the hills and Laguna Beach. Never seen either one. That's this week's sign that the apocalypse is upon us. That's pretty bad. That's bad. Yeah, she's written two books, and basically...
They're books about her life, but they're fictional. You know, she has a character name, and it's basically, you know, a reality star in Hollywood, blah, blah, blah. She wrote, the first book was L.A. Candy, which came out, I think, like a year ago. I have no idea. That made the best-selling list, and now she has a new book that came out earlier this month, and it's kind of like a sequel to L.A. Candy. It's called Sweet Little Lies. So that'd be like Mikey writing a book about a talk show host that was Mexican. I mean, Latino. And then, like, calls himself, like, Miguel? Yeah. That was, like, a completely different name. It's like, he would be, like, Robert Sandoval. Her name is, like, Lori or something. Her name is Jane Roberts. Why do people dig it? I don't know. What's their fascination with reality in general? You know, it's like... It seems like such a stretch. 570-1949. We take calls at the beginning and end of every show. You can call about anything you want. And you can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Right now, it's an open forum. You can call about whatever you want. Let's see. A lot of people loving your mixtape, Woodsy. Yep. And somebody wanted to let you know, Woodsy, that there are no chains required in Big Bear today. No kidding. That's what they said. Dude. I guess you can check that out. I think I'm going to do it. Spontaneous. The kid is very spontaneous.
Mikey, what's your problem? You don't know Mazzy Star. Google it. Great song. You will know it. You know it when you heard it, dude. I think I recognized it when I heard it. Let's see. Take some phone calls and then we'll head on out. And did I tell you everything? I think I gave you everything I had to give you. I wanted to get through all the news today. I did too, man. I left it on the field today. You did? I did. There was a couple of pieces of audio that I didn't give you that I still want to. I played you the John Mayer deal. Yeah. Nancy Kerrigan was a story. The new movies that are coming out this weekend we got out there, right? Mm-hmm. Valentine's Day, The Wolfman. Oh, that would have been just for Angelina Jolie. Yeah, I think you did it all. Okay. I think we're ready to get out of here. 570-1949 is the number.
This is Jimmy Fallon on the cocaine they found in the roses. Remember that happened in Amsterdam? Yeah. Valentine's Day is only three days away, you guys. Just a reminder for you. And get this, officials at an airport in the Netherlands found 20 pounds of cocaine hidden in shipments of roses. Looks like Amy Winehouse has a boyfriend. M1 Birdman. Yes, sir. How you doing? I'm great. Yourself? Good, man. What's up? No, we like the show over here, man. We feel like we kind of get to know Woodsy now. We heard so much about him at the old place. That's right. You're finally getting to know Woodsy. I did that voice. We did the voice of Woodsy and Bauman for probably six years and then all of a sudden kids on the show. It's a dream come true, dude. How about that? Dreams do come true. You're telling me. That's right. Thank you, brother. Thanks, man. Good day. We appreciate it. We never did tell you the story about how Woodsy was parking in the space at his apartment.
And there's a tree, I guess. It's a bush, but it's like maybe five feet tall. And it doesn't look, you know, really sturdy or anything. And in my space, I have to back into it because I made the mistake the first night of pulling in front first and scraped like the side of my car. It's so tight. And so I had to back it in last night and I got stuck on the tree. I guess it caught my bumper, ripped my bumper off. I'm furious. Furious. The whole thing came off? It was like dangling. So I picked it up and like kicked it. You got any magic putty? Yes. Put some magic putty on there. I don't know what that is. It's the stuff they sell on TV. It's like 20 bucks. It'll fix it. I mean, I was like kicking it in. So there goes my weekend, dude. M1 Whoopi's on the line. Good morning. Hi, Whoopi. Hi, Whoopi. Hello, Cubby. How are you? If you want to see Cubby, you can go to MikeyShow.com. There's a picture that somebody did. It's a little Photoshop. My brother used to call me Cubby, so they made a little picture of it. Better than my picture, dude. Paul Blart.
Well, you know what, Woodsy? Sean used to love it when the fans made pictures and stuff like that. That is true. That he did. That is true. Sean used to love it. In fact, Sean actually had a knack for making them himself. He'd make his own pictures. Is Sean coming in next week? No, he can't make it. We just need to get you a furry costume and you'll be set. That's right. I don't know what that means, but I'm in. I don't want one. I just wanted to say, first of all, happy Valentine's Day. Happy Valentine's Day. And even for those of us who are single and don't get hooked up and free dinners at Pamplemousse where the foie gras is amazing. Yes. Just happy Valentine's Day to us. And that mixtape, awesome. Thank you so much. Like a mixtape for an indie romantic comedy kind of movie. Yeah. I'm loving that. Michael, I am shocked and appalled that you don't even know like Indy Ari. She's amazing. Tammy Terrell and Marvin Gaye. Marvin Gaye. Have you lost your ever-loving mind? Thank you, Whoopi. Thank you, Whoopi. Thank you, Whoopi. Tammy Terrell. Tammy Terrell. She hates me for like all week. What's this just like? I'm the best. I'm the best. I'm the best. Fair enough, dude. Tammy Terrell used to be a country singer, right? Back in the 60s. No, Michael. She sang with, no? Do not push that button, Michael. I'm just asking. Do not push that button. No. No. If the Italian shoe fits, dude, you wear it. Fine.
Maybe you do a little music research this weekend and, you know, go on iTunes. Don't purchase the new Taylor Swift, but maybe do the anthology of Marvin Gaye. Yeah. And, you know, immense yourself in what music really is and that we won't have to have this problem the next time we go. I'm beaming right now. Okay. You just made Woods fall in love with you, Woody. Thank you, Woody. Well, that's really not hard to do here. Now he's falling in love with himself. Kid loves you. Kid loves you. I want you guys to have a good weekend. Thank you, dear. You too. Bye. We'll see you. M1 Lizzie is on the line. Hey, guys. What's going on? Not much. Just wanted to call and say you guys had another great week. Love the show. And I hope all those boys out there are on their way to Tiffany's as we speak. That a girl. There you go. It's like the greatest day of my life. See? Can someone throw a tomato at Woods' face right now? M1 Bob Barker is on the line. What's up, dude? Mikey, how are you? Good, dude. Good. Hey, man, I just wanted to wish you guys a well weekend and tell you that this week you guys just smashed it, man. Dude, thank you. Thank you. Every day, every day I laugh more and more. So keep it up. Thanks for making my mornings good, bro. That's awesome, dude. Thank you. We appreciate the phone call. End of the show on Friday. I give you my testimony. I tell you my story. Tell you a little bit about myself.
And what God has done in my life. I take this opportunity every Friday because I believe that I have the opportunity to be on the radio for a far bigger reason than to just be a talk show host. Oh, that's cool. Love being a talk show host. But what I can tell you is that as a kid, I did not experience any kind of popularity. As a kid, as a kid, I felt like I was alone all the time, pretty much all the time. As a kid, I think I probably went through more feelings of insecurity than anybody I knew or at least anybody around me. I always felt that way. I always felt different. I always felt like nobody could relate to me. But there's a feeling that I had overall of worthlessness. I feel a worthlessness.
And the reason is because as a kid, the feelings that I had about myself were that I was ugly and I didn't fit in. As a kid, I desperately needed people to like me and to pay attention to me. When I got into my 20s, I was drinking a lot. And the reason that I drank as much as I did was because when I drank, I didn't feel a lot of the feelings that I had the rest of the time. And so I drank to excess. I was I was laying in my bed one night and I knew that I was going to I knew I was going to die. And the reason that I knew that was because of how much I was drinking. And so I asked God to come into my life and change my life. It didn't happen instantly by any means. It didn't happen instantly. Took a while. And every day he changed me a little bit more and a little bit more. But at one point I had I have had feelings of desperation. I've had eating disorders.
I used to make myself throw up. And the reason that I did it was because I wanted to fit in. And I never told anybody. For me, all of my stuff was secret. I was going through secrets like that when I was in my late 20s. I didn't tell anybody. Couldn't tell anybody I had an eating disorder. I was a guy. And I also would lie about stuff because I didn't want anybody to know. Jesus Christ changed all of that in my life. Today I have a wife who I've been married to for five years named Jake, who I love. I have two twins. Luke and Ryan have good friends. I have love in my heart. I used to not have that. I hated everybody. I didn't tell them I hated them. I just did. I will often say that anger is not real. Anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And I had a lot of that. But when I gave my life over to Jesus Christ, he changed that. And today I don't have that anymore. Today I want to help people. And if you feel any of those things that I've just described to you, if you've gone through any of that stuff, depression, eating disorders, any kind of addiction,
Go to Mikey show.com. And at the top of the menu, there's a thing there that says help. And if you click on that button, you can find all kinds of resources to depression, eating disorders, addiction. I don't tell you this story because I'm telling you that this is something that you need to do. I'm telling you the story because it's my story and it belongs to me. And I want you to know that it could be different than the way that it is now. And that you don't have to turn the ringer off on your phone and you don't have to. close the blinds, and you don't have to hope that your mom and dad don't call. MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. Go to the top of the page. It says Help. You click there, and it'll give you all of those resources. At the end of the show, I play a song by a band called Third Day, and the song is called Tunnel. Really listen to the lyrics of this song. Really listen to the lyrics of this song, because the song is about hope.
And that's something that a lot of people really desperately need. So listen to the lyrics of the song. Hillary's up next. We'll see you again on Monday. Mikey shows out.
