The episode centered on promoting tomorrow's live House of Blues broadcast where LOB and ten M1s will dance like pussycat dolls. Throughout the show, the hosts debated topics ranging from the acceptability of married men looking at other women to bizarre food aversions like mudfish and durian. They featured a planned trivia segment where Jay would be tased for wrong answers, highlighted odd food stories such as blood collection in gourds, and plugged LASIK surgery. Later, they discussed doomsday prepping, the 'linning' meme of Jeremy Lin fans, and concluded with a shocking anecdote about an exploding e-cigarette.

5701949. I am shot out of a cannon and I am ready to go. I have never been so ready to do a radio show as I am today. Wow. Right. Is that right? I don't know, I just pumped myself up. Yeah, I'm just giving myself that extra shot of adrenaline. I'm there with you. There you go. Whoa. Thank you. That was too much. That was a little bunch. We're on 530 now. We do 530 to 9. And, you know, tomorrow when we broadcast at this time, we will be broadcasting live from the House of Blues. And it will be LOB. It will be LOB Day. Basically, tomorrow is LOB Day. She is going to be dancing like a pussycat doll. And it's open to every listener.
So we want you out there early. I would suggest getting there early. House of Blues, it's free. So you get in there for free. And then you got to pay for drinks and food, which is easy. Can we do like a little... Sales exercise, Woods and I will be good at this, Woods especially. If people have an excuse of why they're not going to come tomorrow, I will tell them exactly why we can overcome that obstacle. Yes, absolutely. So in other words, if you, okay, let's practice. Okay. I have to work. Did you ask for the day off? I didn't. What do I do now? Take a sick day. Yeah, get somebody to cover your shift. Get somebody to cover your shift. I like it. Or just go in late. Yeah, man. We're only on until 9. Only until 9. Yeah. Say you'll be there at 9.15. Yeah. Can you work till 6 tomorrow to make up the difference? Yeah. I'd like to ask, I'll do that. Okay, there you go. I mean, there's a million different things you can do. We're only on until 9. Yeah, 9. Well, it's the only time that we've done is, this is the first time we've done a live broadcast. Up until now, we have not done a live broadcast. It's a big deal. First one, man. So, come on out. You know, because a lot of people go.
When can we hang? When can we get to meet you guys? Tomorrow's it, man. It's a great opportunity. Yeah, dude. I was thinking about it last night. It's a meet and greet. You get to see a badass show. We got so much cool stuff planned. There's going to be hot chicks there, guys. What else do you need? There's booze there. There's food there. It's the House of Blues. You don't get into the House of Blues for free. There's going to be good parking tomorrow. Yes. You know, because it's early. You get there, get good parking. And by the way, there's going to be a couple of the ladies that are going to be dancing coming. Well, the instructor's coming in today. The lady that's been choreographing this entire thing. Nikki from A Bitter Burlesque. Yeah. Or a bit of burlesque, as Jay calls it. Bit of burlesque. That is a true statement. Plus, it is President's Day weekend. Yeah. So take a four-day weekend. What better way to kick it off? Have a breakfast burrito, a mimosa, see some hot girls dancing on stage, and then just go feast for the next four days. How great is that? I mean, it sounds like a freaking Caribbean cruise to me, LLB. It sounds badass. Yep.
Well, she's going to bring, when Nikki comes in today, she'll bring one of the girls, maybe Lush, maybe some of the other girls will be calling in. Lush is looking fantastic. Wait until you see, I mean, all the girls, but she got a new piece of her costume yesterday, and I was like, I'm a C-diff. Yeah. Woods and I found out she was married and made us jealous. We're married, too. We're already married, but it still makes you jealous, you know? Yeah, you look around, you see these really pretty girls, you're like... Yeah, she's freaking married, but so am I. So am I. Still makes you mad. That's right. You're still a man. You're still a man. You're not, you know, when you get married, it doesn't take away your manhood. I wrote about it one time. I said, you know, it's like we're lions. Yes. And even though we have been tamed, we're still lions. Right. And we still like to prowl. Doesn't mean we're going to pounce and attack, but we still like to prowl. I hope you lions are hungry for some Victoria's Secret. Oh, my goodness. This lion is. The girls made some trips. What's a line? Yeah. You know, line. The king of the jungle. Like the lion king. The lion king. You're lying, Jay. Tell the truth. You're lying. I'm not lying. L-O-B? Yes. I had a girl chew me out, read me the riot act because I described you as sexy and I have a wife. Oh, please.
I was like, gosh, man. My mom is the most straight edge person you'll meet. She told me a long time ago, just because you get married doesn't mean you stop having eyes. Right. Who's that person? Well, and here's the deal. It's not even that, because having eyes implies a little bit to me. How do you see it? Well, here's the deal. Like, there's a difference, I think, between observational and. like lusting and wanting it and, you know, picturing doing it and all that stuff. I'm not doing that. But I, you know, I think Woods and Jay are good looking guys. Yeah. You know, that doesn't mean I want to have sex with them. Well, that means you can see things. Yeah. And you can discern, yeah, if that's an attractive person or that's... And that's it. L.O.B.'s super pretty. That doesn't mean that I want to do stuff. I have an idea. Maybe quit reading us a riot act for stuff.
Maybe you keep your riot act to yourself. Gosh, man. Maybe you take that riot act and you... Yeah, I've been riot acted. I have a quiet riot. Quiet riot. Once you have a quiet riot. Have a quiet riot act. I've been too rioted. You get rioted more than anybody. You get rioted the most. I've been rioted. Probably would. I get a good riot. Jay doesn't get rioted. And I will say this. It is time for some fun tomorrow. Oh, I can't wait, man. It is time for some fun tomorrow. This is M1 Pete. He is downtown. Hi, Pete. Hey, what's going on, Mike? What's up, dude? Oh, not too much. Hey, I have a procedure at the hospital tomorrow, but I'm trying to make it to see L.O.B. Yeah? And the Pussycat Dolls. Yeah. What time is she going on exactly? L.O.B. will be going on towards the end of the show. So it's safe to say, let's just put it this way. It'll be in the 8 o'clock hour. Oh, dang. Yeah. All righty. Thanks. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Where are you going? L.O.B. said that she's going to want to sell you on this. Are you getting the procedure done? Yeah. Okay. It's actually me, and I have to be there at 9. You have a scheduled procedure. But is it downtown? No, it's up there right by you guys at the Sharps. S.O.B. Dang it. Well, you can come for a little bit and just say what's up to us. Believe me, I will. Come at 5.30 and hang out. Maybe she'll give you a peek.
That's what I'm going to do. Yeah, maybe I'll give you a peek of the costume. Sneak peek. I like that. There you go. All righty. Thank you. I am fascinated to see what is going on with this girl. I can't wait. What is going to be happening? And guess what else is going to happen tomorrow? We're going to do a little trivia contest with our boy Jay. And if he gets a question wrong, do you hear that? You know what that is? That's a taser. And he will get tased. Don't tase me, bro. Oh, you will get tased. Don't tase me, bro. Don't tase me, bro. That's a freaking taser. Let me tell you, if that hit Woods' body, because here's the deal. Everybody has an aversion to certain things. Hey, Jay. Hey, Jay. Don't. Don't you dare. I know. I know. Everybody has an aversion to certain things. Woods' aversion to getting shocked is...
Real bad. It's bad, bad. Nice Bieber. Oh, stop. It doesn't make me a woman. No. Because I don't like to be shot. Who would want to get shot? That's right. Nobody wants to. Only sex perverts like him. He probably uses it in bed. Jay, you have an aversion to be doing karaoke. Apparently not anymore. Yeah, not anymore. You faced your fear. Yeah, boy. You faced your fear. You looked it in the eye and now you've conquered it. I got a couple things that just, it's snakes and shocks. Yeah. And dude, to where I'll have a panic attack and I'll probably cry. Yeah. Jay's is mudfish. Jay's is mudfish. He definitely references the mudfish. Everybody's is mudfish. Jay has said. I'll do a lot for this show, but I ain't eating no mud fish. What is a mud fish? It's a disgusting fish, dude. Like it tastes bad? Well, first of all, it's a freshwater fish, isn't it? I just know, yeah. Here's what I can tell you about it. It's a freshwater fish, and it tastes like what it swims in, which is mud, and it's disgusting. I don't mind the taste of mud that bad.
I would eat mud before I eat this. It's really bad. It stinks and it just sticks with you and makes you gag. Yeah, it's awful. Really? It's among those weird foods that you would see Andrew Zimmern eating that are weird and awful. Yeah, he'll tell you. And that guy will eat everything. You know what bothers him the most? Processed stuff. So he'll eat... the most disgusting things that occur in nature, meaning foods, plants, all that stuff, the thing that makes him gag is stuff that we make, like spam. Wow. Because spam's not natural. Spam is something that is made. So he probably eats all organic on his own or something. Well, he, I think, feels that if something is fresh, it's not that bad. Not as bad. Yeah. I mean, that guy's eaten balls of every kind. So's Jay. Oh, gosh. That you can think of. Has he ever said no? No, he's never said no, but I know what his Achilles heel is. His Achilles heel is a plant called durian. And he says that it tastes like rotten onions. It's not a vegetable. It's a fruit that is so potent that where it's grown, they will not let you on public transportation if you have it. Wow.
You can't take it on public transportation. I liked it. I didn't mind it. Yeah, now he says, here's what he says about it. He says that, now I'm talking about Andrew Zimmern, who does a show called Bizarre Foods. In fact, he was just in San Diego, I read in the paper, he was just in San Diego filming an episode because he's doing a Bizarre Foods American Cities. So it'll be Bizarre Foods, Dallas, Bizarre Foods, San Diego, all that kind of deal. But what he usually does is he travels around the world trying the different foods of the different cultures. And I'm talking about rats. I'm talking about all the weird and bizarre things that you could possibly imagine. He's eaten it. And so much that he will at times reference how this blood is, you know, it's not bad. It's not bad. It's a little bit tastier than, say, duck blood. And it's because he's had everything. Of all the different places that he's been, Japan is the worst. You know, just personally. And we'll have him on the show eventually. I'll ask him what's the worst. But his Achilles heel is durian. Now, here's what he says. He says, when you try weird foods, the thing that you got to do is, no matter what.
Two bites, no matter what. So if you take a bite of it and you don't like it, you have to give it another try. And sometimes you'll see him on the program and he'll reference his own rule and he'll say, well, I got a rule that you got to try everything twice. So here goes. I'll do another one. Man. And I've seen him try durian three different times because I've seen every single episode of. Bizarre Foods. Weird. There's five seasons. I've seen them all. And trust me, I've scoured. I've scoured Netflix trying to find one that I haven't seen because to me, they're little gems. And yeah, he'll try everything twice. I've seen the guy eat fresh camel meat. Fresh. Like not raw. Yes. Ah. You know, they'll do it right there. Oh, gosh. Yeah. Mean to the camel. Mean to the camel? Yes. Mean to a cow? Yeah. Or a fish, or a chicken. Camels are cute, though. Yeah, camels are cute. They're not really that cute. They're pretty cute. They're kind of sweet looking. Don't they look like they'd be sweet? Yeah. They spit on people. That's okay. Yeah, they do. So do I. They actually spit. But yeah, Japan, I'll tell you what, man. People in Japan will eat some real weird things. Real weird things.
One story about the blood gourd where they stab it into the cow. It's like a rubber band. It's like a rubber band. So imagine stretching a rubber band from your flip-off finger and your thumb, stretching a rubber band, and then pulling the rubber band, and then it's got a little sharp instrument on the end of it. A barb? Yeah, and they go, and they pop it right into the... And it's so sharp and so quick that the cow doesn't feel it. And then they, you know, gather the blood. And they will patch it up. That'll do. They will patch it up with a little patch. They put the patch there and the animal's good to go. And they drink the blood. Well, yes. But, you know, what they do first is they put this blood inside of a container that is... Or an organic container. So it's like the husk of a coconut. Kind of picture something that looks like that. Cross between a coconut and something made of wood. Like a gourd. Like a gourd. Picture a gourd that was made of wood. And inside of it is this fresh blood. Now, Andrew will tell you, it's good when it's fresh. When it's fresh, he said it's not bad at all. And the words that he uses are great. He'll say...
It's quite minerally. Oh, good Lord. He'll say, he'll say it's quite minerally. He'll say, this one tastes a bit like river rocks. And when he says things like that, you really get, it's very, he's real good at description. But anyway, he'll put it in the gourd and he's got a big wooden stick and they will chop up and down with the wooden stick inside of the gourd. And what they want to do is they want to get it to coagulate. And then they'll give that stick to the children because the kids love it. Yeah, it's like when our moms used to make cupcakes. And they'd give us the mixable thing. Lick the mixer. Woods, culturally, no difference. That's crazy. It is culturally exactly the same thing. And the kids all fight for it. Yeah, they're waiting around for the blood stick. The blood stick. Disgusting. That is true. Now, what is really good is when they'll mix the fresh milk with it. And they'll mix the two together.
It's kind of like Laverne. Remember Laverne used to mix Pepsi and milk? Disgusting. You are a smelly pirate hooker. It's like a disgusting Laverne. It's a really disgusting Laverne. They called it Laverne. That really makes my stomach burn. You know, some people have a reaction like that. It makes me so ill. It makes me weak. I guess I shouldn't talk about it because I guess some people really can't hear it. It makes me dizzy. You know, when I hear about farts. I can't stand to hear about it. You hate it. I don't like to hear about it. It makes me sick. You don't like to hear them? Yeah. Live? No. In here? I don't like it at all. And I wonder, do people have the same reaction? But they have a whole show about it. A successful show, yeah. Yeah. Bizarre Food's very successful. I thought you meant a show about farts. No, they don't. They don't. I'd watch that. Woodsy, should I not? No, it just makes my stomach turn. Man, it freaks me out. I think, man, I don't want to be upsetting people. No, I think people. It's like me. I'm fun. I'm titillated. Titillated. And I'm like, but I'm like. Don't do it. Don't do it. Please do it. Don't do it. Please do it. Yeah. Yeah. Stop talking, but keep talking. I can't. I can't get enough. I can't get enough. The only thing that we ever talk about on this show that makes my skin crawl is injuries. Yeah.
And it really gets you. And it makes, when somebody's like, yeah, I hammered a nail into my patella. And I'm like, I'm done. I'm done. To me, those are documentaries. Yeah, I know. You love, it's documentary radio. Those get me the worst, too. They make me weak. They make me weak. I get lightheaded. I thought you guys were having fun. Oh, I'm having fun. I am, so. That guy, there was a guy that posted a picture on our fan page yesterday of his dislocated knee. Oh. And I almost. I almost left my body. Nothing to me. Oh, it just, it made me. Interesting. I said, I can't, I can't look at it. This guy posted a picture on our, on Facebook.com slash Mikey show. And it was his knee. And apparently what had happened was he had been somewhere and there was a lot of bats and the bats scared him. And because of the bats, he tripped and injured himself. Nice beaver. Bats. Yeah. Bats. Yeah. It's a double whammy. Hey, Jay. I'll tell you what. They are scary. They are scary. Hell yeah. Well, let me tell you. Speaking of television shows, Man vs. Wild, right? What's his name? Bear Grylls. I've only seen that guy afraid a few times. His version of electric shocks is bats. Everybody's got their thing. Everybody's got their thing. You know, Woods does not like being shocked. I don't like rodents. Oh, God.
Bear Grylls does not like bats. Really? He don't like them, man. And so one time, one time he was spelunking, which is the, it's going through caves. And he's in this cave and he gets down way deep down into the crevasse. And there's running water down there. And he's walking in the dark and he's made himself a torch using tree sap. and some kindling. He's like Rambo. Yeah, he's amazing. He was in the British Special Forces, so he knows how to make these things. And so there he is, and he's going through this underwater river, and he's got the light with the torch, and they're filming it while the torch goes out. And so now the cameras are having a film in the green night vision. And you see Bear's eyes bright white through the... through the night vision. And all of a sudden, these bats get stirred up, and they're hitting him. Oh, God. They're hitting him in the head, and he's batting him away, and he is losing his cock-a-doodie mind. I gotta see it. I gotta see that. He's losing his mind. They're filthy. He's a calm and cool, collected guy. And he goes, I don't like bats. I don't like them. I don't like bats. I gotta see it.
I get it. That show's pretty badass. Yes. It's another one. Have you ever seen the fruit bats? They're like foxes with wings. Yes. They are disgusting. LLB said it. Dude, they look like foxes. With wings. Did you guys, on the East Coast, I grew up in Connecticut, and there's a ton of bats. We had a field at the end of our street. It was our football field. We played every single day after school and into kind of the evening. And the bit was, if you took a rock, the sky was... you know, black. Yeah, covered with bats? No, nothing. There was nothing there. You threw a rock up as high as you could go, and out of nowhere, bats everywhere. Swoop in to grab it. Swoop in to grab it. To grab the rock? Yeah, they thought it was food. Yeah. Oh, yeah, because they used sonar. And we would sit there and just be like, all right, ready, ready. And they would come, and you're like, and then you run away and go back and do it again. In Austin, Texas. Once, I believe, once, it's a certain time of year. Every night at that bridge? It's every night? Yeah, it's every night during a certain period. I know it's during the summer. There's a bridge in Austin, Texas, where literally millions of bats fly from underneath this bridge in Austin, Texas. It's awesome. And it blackens the sky.
Carlsbad Caverns have the same thing. You go out there and sit and watch the Bat Show. It's just insane. The Get Show. Yeah, the Get Show. You wouldn't be anywhere around that stuff, right, guys? I'm having fun. I like just talking about this stuff. Maybe we come back and we just talk about stuff. Talk about what's going on in the news. We'll just talk and have fun. I'm in! Constant Contact's turning February, February, that's the real name of the month, into Fan Brewery. Oh, small business. It's early, guys. This is your month to make social media work with social campaigns. A new tool from Constant Contact. Visit ConstantContact.com. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I don't want to cry.
I don't want movies that make me cry. Lauren. If you don't use it, you lose it. Woods. I like to grease the maitre d's from time to time. And Jay. Yeah, I'm not going to play games with him. Just point blank ask him, then I'm going to break his leg. On Anthem 94.9. One more day. Oh, L.O.B. Yep. When you're going to be dancing at the House of Blues. Oh, yeah. We were just talking about it off the air, and L.O.B. is... Starting to go from nervous to a little excited. Yeah. I am excited. She's got a little confidence, a little swagger in her step today. That's good. I like it. Because I got my moves down and now I can just concentrate on adding the sassiness. That's right. Get real sassy. And there's going to be 10 other girls that are M1s. You know, I'm going to tell the genesis of this because I think a lot of people are like, how did this happen anyway? Right.
L.O.B. had no intention of this happening. No. She wrote in a recap one day something that she just said observationally, which was that she thought that her window of being able to dance like a pussycat doll was slowly closing or quickly closing. Sorry. Quickly. And that she was going to go from the point of being just a normal, average, everyday girl to a creep. If she danced like a pussycat doll. Yeah. And so since that window was closing fast, she was trying it out at home. So we got to talking about it. Well, it turned out that there was a lot of girls that felt exactly like L.O.B. So we were like, let's do this. So the House of Blues, they called us and said, we'll host it. Let's do this. Have them come down here. We'll host it. So now it's turned into this gigantic thing tomorrow. We're going to actually have the entire House of Blues to ourself, to the Mikey Show and M1 Nation. And so you come down there, it's free. And you'll be able to eat and drink. They'll charge you for the eat and drink, but getting in is free. So tomorrow at this time, we'll be doing the show live in front of you. Awesome. On stage. On stage. And then towards the end of the show.
Getting close to nine o'clock, L.O.B. will do her dance with these girls. Now, we don't know anything. No, I wouldn't even let you guys. I had a video and Woods was trying to look and I was like, she's kidding. I tried to look again. She's like, I'm not kidding. And I don't think we should slam that thing. I think it should be. I think it should be all veiled in secrecy. Yep. You won't even know. I mean, you guys know some of the listeners. and the girls because you were at the audition. But we're not going to tell you who the girls are ahead of time. They're just going to be mingling and you won't see their costumes until we're on stage. Know this. If you're listening right now and you can't make it there tomorrow, I am going to do my very best to be as descriptive as possible so that no one feels left out. I want you to be able to feel like you are there. I want to be your eyes and ears. I will be... leaned up against the stage just watching. Your mouth will be wide open. Yeah, my wife will be there. My wife Jamie's coming with me. It's weird. But I'm just going to watch and just enjoy. Yeah. I'm going to soak it in. Really good pictures. No, Jay's not allowed to take the pictures. I would like my wife to be there, but doesn't it make you a little uncomfortable that your wife is there and, you know, there's these gorgeous girls dancing on stage? Absolutely.
And yet Rebecca can't go because she's got the kids and there's stuff going on. I'm going to have to do the bit of like, I'm going to have to like, I want to like enjoy it. She'll let me enjoy it. She's pretty rich. My wife's pretty cool. She's going to let me enjoy it. She was at the audition while you were saying stuff and she was like laughing at you. Yes, that's true. She knows your bit. She knows my bit. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 41 years old and I'll be 42 at the end of May. Woodsy is our sports guy. He is 36 years old. He's the funniest scene in any movie. That's the best way to describe the guy. He only has one gear, and it's Woods. Yeah. He didn't have a fake bone. I got zero and 100. He didn't have a fake bone in his body. He is who he is on the air is who he is off the air. It's the same guy. True story. I'm very outgoing on the air.
Off the air, I'm an introvert, and it's very difficult for me to meet people. Very difficult. Blows my mind. Yeah. It really does. Even my brother said that. It's crazy. Like, you're like the funnest dude in here. On the air. If we're at Rubio's having a taco, you're like looking over your shoulder. I am? Yeah, dude. You're like, I'm like, that's my boy. You're so outgoing in here and funny and like. We go somewhere. I'm like, I feel like, I feel the need to like, what's up, dude? Don't get too close. You know what I mean? Yeah. The first time I met you, I was like, is me juggling? Yeah. Yeah. Riding a unicycle. Yeah. Meet Beto or what's up? Yeah. Hey, what's up, dude? What's up, L.O.B.? Yeah. Very reserved. When L.O.B. said that when I first wrote her, she didn't believe that it was me. I know. I thought to myself, well. What do you mean? Because you had a weirdo YouTube account. Well, I know. I mean, I know what you literally mean. But I but I stopped the question like, well, why would anybody question me being me? I'm like, I'm a Mexican, short Mexican dude. You know, it takes a second for me to I am the opposite of the guy that's like, hey, everybody.
You know Mikey's here now, right? I mean, I'm just, I cannot be any further from that. It scares the crap out of me. But then when you called and I heard those golden pipes, I was like, ah, yes. That is me, Mikey. I am calling to talk to Lauren. This is Lauren. Lauren is 31 years old, and she is our assistant producer, and she does not look 31 at all. No, you be careful. You can get the right act read to you again. I described her as sexy the other day, and I got in trouble from a listener. So weird. She wrote me, and she was really upset with me. So weird. Are you listening? I instantly felt, oh, no, what have I done? No. Jay is our producer. He is 48 years of age. Today, I would say, is a... benchmark day a watermark day a uh life event day for jay and the reason is one of his kids is leaving the nest little boys all grows up yeah i know it you only think of it you probably still think of him as a kid right yeah i mean he's he turns 20 this month and we've done everything together i mean finn
We rode motorcycles. We've, you know, I helped him learn to ride his bike. I mean, he's been everything. Yeah. And he's leaving. He's leaving the nest. He's going to London, going to the UK. Wow. That is... For, I don't know how long. Indeterminate. Yeah. Open-ended. Open-ended. He doesn't even know when he's coming back. Oh, my gosh. He's got a rail pass, and he can go see 22 countries, and he's planning to see them all. Is he going alone? No, he's got his buddy that he went to kindergarten with, and they've been buddies forever. That is cool. I could not be, I couldn't be more green with envy. Really? I could not be. Sounds awesome. It's one of those things that I look back and I go, you stupid SOB, why didn't you do this? Man. Why didn't you do it? And I... Oh, man. All I picture is red money. I picture. Weird bathrooms. Weird bathrooms. Not knowing where you can sleep. Humans are so adaptable. You'd be surprised how quickly you're like, this is just my reality. You couldn't have done that when you were 20? I'd rather adapt to Lemon Grove. Yeah. He's got a backpack.
He's got a skateboard, a little small skateboard. He's got his rail pass. And then he's got a little wallet that's on a neck thing that he can wear underneath his shirt. So he has his money. Money belt. That's adventurous, man. So he's just sitting ready to go. Although I did wake up this morning. I was like, I walked downstairs early. The lights were on. And I was like, I'm already weirded out because somebody's been kissing my car window every day. Somebody's been kissing Jay's car window. Still. So here's a long story. But anyway, I got up at midnight, first of all. And I went down and checked my window. Nothing. But the lights were on and the door was unlocked to the house. I was all freaked out. But this morning, nothing was there. But then I woke up this morning at 3.30. Did it look the same? I mean, I know it is the same. No, this time it looked different. It's smaller, like very petite this time. It was big and juicy yesterday and now it's small. Maybe it's your son as a going away. It's a neighbor. I don't know what's going on. It's by a neighbor. But anyway, Finn has been sick all night long, so now I'm wanting to get the flu. Do you know your neighbor's good? Yeah, but they're older and... They're not pranksters? They're not pranksters. And that, you know, they're more like, get off my lawn. Blair Witch Project. We'll see. Maybe if it's not there tomorrow morning, we'll know it was your son. Yeah. He'll be gone. He's going to Europe. He was sick to his stomach all night long, so I don't know if he's got the flu, he's getting on a plane, he's got the flu, or what's going on. Our phone screener is cross. It's cross.
That's crow. That's right. Let's see. Woodsy got an update for us on Tony Gwynn? I do. Doctors operated on Tony Gwynn yesterday. If you didn't hear, he was back in the hospital to get surgery on his mouth. He had cancer. They took some of it out. He was okay for a while. Then it came back. They are saying that he's resting. He's doing great. Pretty sad, though. They said it could take 18 months for him to regain movement on the right side of his face. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. But, you know, that's Mr. Padre, man. He is one of the greatest hitters ever to walk this earth. So that M1 Nation knows, next week I'm having surgery and the members of the program here are going to still be here. And what they're going to do is they're going to intermix some best of clips and they'll be here to give you live updates with sports and news and stuff that's going on. And so it's kind of a happy medium of being able to have your Mikey show. And I'm having my gallbladder taken out. I've never had it done. I do know this. I do know that it changes the way that you eat, which is good for me.
You can't eat greasy foods after you have it. Really? Yeah. That's sad. Well, you can, but it's not good. Not a good idea. Really? You should have as many greasy foods as you want in the next couple days. You don't have to tell him that. Grease it up. Yes. Now, so I will have my gallbladder taken out. I believe that it's about a one or two day, you know, you're down for one or two days. I know I'm going to spend the night in the hospital. And then I'm going to try to be back here really quick. I'm going to try to be back on Thursday. Hopefully I'll be back here on Thursday. But we'll see. Okay. Happy birthday to LeVar Burton. You know who that is? No. Greetings. He is the black dude from Star Trek The Next Generation. Oh, the weird head. The weird that has the glasses that go around the eyes thing. Unlike other glasses, which go around your knees. Right. He's 55 today. The rapper Ice-T is 54. John McEnroe. Oh, yeah. One of my favorites. He is 53 years old today. That's identical Woods. Identical Woods. Yes. You cannot be serious. You're the John McEnroe of radio. There's no question. Woods, if you were a tennis player. Yeah.
you would get kicked out of games. There's no question. Matches. Matches, yeah. They would kick you out because you would be so furious at the line judge. Oh, yeah. Especially if I thought that I saw the ball was in and he called it out. I would be identical McEnroe. Yeah. Without the fro. Today, this is, I'm getting this from multiple sources. Multiple sources say that today will be sunny. Multiple. Oh, boy. And in the mid-60s. Freddie Forecast over there. Yeah, Freddie Forecast. Multiple sources say that tomorrow will be sunny. Mikey. Don't you do it. Don't do it, dude. Humans despise me. And multiple sources say that Saturday will be mostly. I say mostly. You're a monster. Don't you do it to me. You're a fanged monster. Mostly sunny. Let's see. By the way, if you have to buy greeting cards, Greetings. You know, greeting cards is somebody's birthday or whatever. What do you do when you've got to buy a greeting card, Woods? Like, where do I go? Yeah, where do you go? I go to CBS or I go to Stater Brothers. How about you, L.O.B.? I would go to, like, a Hallmark or a gift shop. I always do that. Never. That's always my bit. It's too fancy for me. Hallmark. Well, there's three of them closing, so, you know. Skin off my back. No more Fashion Valley Mall. No more...
mall in North County. What's that one called? North County Fair. And also UTC. They're shutting their doors. I have a loud cry. You're very upset about it. I wonder if more people are buying their gifts online. Little trinkets and whatnot. Could be that that's the deal. I like to make a card. If you went on a IRS website yesterday. They have this thing called, where's my refund? And it tells you exactly when you're going to get the thing. Well, over the past couple of days, people that have been going there looking for their refund have been getting a message that says, we're sorry, but this website is not working. This page is not working. And it's been a big issue. It's been a big glitch. People are really upset, but it doesn't have anything to do with your actual refund. Still going to come. Yes. The webpage will be all fixed in a couple of days. There's no problem with your refund. It's not going to be delayed. It's coming in the mail and the whole bit. However, the IRS is having a problem with that webpage and people are flipping out. Freaking taxes, man. The worst. They will get you. Just doing them. Do you know?
how much crap I have to do this year because of the failed adoption we had last year? Oh, boy. Do you have any idea of the stuff I got to track down? Do you know that I have to call that birth mother and get that kid's social security number? Yeah, I'm going to vomit. I got to do that this weekend. Yeah, they got to prove he's a real kid. That's awful. So I can get some money back. I'm like, oh, my God. Yesterday, traffic was backed up on the 8 for miles. Why? Because there was a robbery. a few weeks back, and they had one of the suspects, at least they knew his car, was pulled over to the side of the freeway on the 8. So they surround the car. They break the back window. They send a dog in there. Canine unit goes in. The whole nine yards wasn't in there. Oh, boy. He wasn't in the car. In fact, he's still on the run. So there you go. But it had cars, oh my gosh, it had cars on that 8 backed up forever. If you want to see Whitney Houston's funeral, you can. It's going to be broadcast on the internet. Sounds horrible. It doesn't sound like a lot of fun. Who's that guy? Oh, people. Lots of people. Remember Lady Di, Michael Jackson? Livestream.com. Yeah. If people...
if people want to see it. Maybe people are really Whitney fans that want to pay their respects or something, you know? Sitting in front of your computer. I think it's a morbid curiosity. Oh, my gosh. There was pictures of the bathtub that she'd just been taken out of. Now, the only reason he knows that is because he saw them. Yes, a news source. I was looking at a news source, and it showed this thing. It said, why was there a gravy boat in the bathtub? Oh, I read that. I read that. I know why. I know why, too. It wasn't a gravy boat. It was a gravy boat, but do you know what was in it? Olive oil. Olive oil. Why? For her skin. In the bathtub? In the bathtub. She was taking a bath, and she filled the gravy boat with olive oil. She probably asked for it from downstairs. She was rubbing it on her skin to keep her skin soft. I think I'm going to try it. Mikey's thinking about it right now. I'm thinking about it myself. It seems like it wouldn't come off. I feel like I'd be slimy. It gets really slippery in the tub itself. You can have an accident. before her death, apparently. She said you could have an accident in the bathtub. Yeah, it could slip and feel slippery. Whitney had an accident in the bathtub. Yeah, but she died. I know. Yeah, and it wasn't that. She didn't fall. I mean, like, I've slipped before. You've used olive oil in the bathtub? Yeah. Have you really? Mm-hmm. LB, there's so much we don't know. Oh, yeah. There's reams of information that we don't know. Why would I share that with you guys? Dude, there's warehouses of stuff about her that we don't know.
Gosh darn it. I know. I do too. I got to keep my thoughts and secrets in storage. I pay extra. Was anybody else in the bathtub with you when you had the olive oil? Okay. I was doing it to keep my skin supple. Oh. That's a great word. Supple. Great word. This woman has been trying to contact me for multiple days. M1, Susan or Suzanne? Susan. Susan. Go ahead, Susan. Good morning, Mikey Show. Good morning. So my son has been diagnosed by his pediatrician with a severe eating disorder, sensory motor integration, food aversion, I don't know, all this stuff. And upon talking with, we're in the process of getting treatment for occupational therapy through RADIs. We're trying to wait for insurance to approve it. But in the process, we're talking to people and some people have questioned if that is a sign of autism. Yes, it is. It is. Yes.
Yeah, food aversion. My son Jake has autism and he's five years old and he has food aversion even still. So it's a sign. But, you know, it doesn't necessarily mean, hey, my kid doesn't like something. He's got autism. Yeah, it doesn't mean that. So, you know, ask your pediatrician and let your pediatrician and the great folks over at Rady be the ones to diagnose. Okay. Okay. He's really sad right now. Well, hey, it doesn't mean that he's got autism. Yeah. I mean, it doesn't mean that at all. Everything else is, he's fine. Well, you know what then? It could be that the kid just doesn't like artichokes or something. You know what I mean? Tons of kids don't like food. Some of my kids, we're all different. Absolutely. So don't worry about it. I wouldn't freak out, even though the inclination is to start freaking out. Don't freak out. You're going to be fine. Thanks for the call. M1 Jesse from San Diego. Hi. Hey, good morning, guys. What's going on? Hey, I wanted to get back to the IRS thing. The reason that people are freaking out is because what happens when you go to that web page is you enter your social and all that information, and it comes up and says, I'm sorry, we don't have any record of your return. Maybe you entered your information wrong. That's scary. The article that I have did not say that, but I can understand that making people upset. Don't worry.
You're fine, and it is... The one thing they are very clear about is that your refund's coming. Your refund is coming, and you're going to be fine. Right. Okay? All right, dude. Just talking people off the ledge this morning. I know it. I know it. Let's play a game. Let's play catchphrase. Team Fat or Team Fit? Team Fit is L-O-B-N-J. Team Fat is me and Woods. Minus the Woods. Yeah. Hey, gang control pals, Woodsy. And it's me, L.O.B. That's right. My little, uh, my friend over here, the pussycat doll, Lauren O'Brien.
Can you imagine if you had to get up on stage tomorrow and your glasses? Oh, my gosh. No. And I can't imagine. I have to wear all that makeup and everything. If it gets in your contact lens, you're a goner. If your contact lens pops out while you're, say, dancing or doing anything. You're toast. It's a day ruiner. Yeah, it'll ruin your whole day. Listen, we don't have to worry about that anymore. Both of us went to Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center. We got a free consultation first. We talked to Dr. Sandy T. Feldman and her staff. I can see the ball now. I don't have to mess with my contacts. I can go surfing. I can do all kinds of skiing, snowboarding. Everything. And I don't use this term lightly. Well, we've got a little slowing as you come into El Cajon, starting to drop on the 54 southbound at the 8 Connector, about 19 miles an hour there. Also, the drive on the 905, slow on the 905 westbound from Corporate Center Drive to the 125 north. Those speeds are 34 miles an hour. And pretty slow on the 163 southbound past the 8 east due to a tree that's in the middle of the road. This report also brought to you by your San Diego County Toyota dealers, Toyota owners. And Jay. All right, now don't go getting cocky with me. I'll come down there and give you a good spanking. On FM 94.9. I don't know that I gave the word of the day. That would be good. You can take pictures with us. Yeah, you can. You can take pictures with the girls. Okay, so how did the people survive in the car? For three days. They did it with Girl Scout cookies. Okay, now this was up by Sacramento. Immediately reading it, I thought to myself, why would you guys do that? Mark and Jeanette, all right, they're up in Placer County. It's up by Sacramento. They're going down a remote road. It hadn't been plowed. They thought to themselves, hey, that looks like it'd be a fun road to go down and see what's out there.
Explore. Too inquisitive, Mark and Jeanette. Too inquisitive. You're way too inquisitive. Too inquisitive. So this guy said that they had to hike out six miles in two foot deep of snow. Oh, my God. They're trying to get cell reception. They don't have a battery charger for the cell phone. They kept warm by every 30 minutes turning the car on and letting it warm up and then turning it off. That's how they were staying warm. Wow. Again, they were out there for three days. They survived on Girl Scout cookies and peanuts. And they're lucky. They're very, very lucky that they're alive. Boy, if I was stranded, that's what I'd want to have to eat. I actually kind of want to get stranded a little bit just so that I could do that. You know what happened? They were finally able to get to high enough ground to get 901. I know how freaking lucky is that.
James, catchphrase, two sides play. Mikey and Woods versus L.O.B. and Jay. Describe a phrase without using any words like buffing a poop instead of polishing a turd. Catchphrase. Is it actually called, it's a celebrity golf thing? I mean, softball? We're calling it celebrity, yeah. So wait, you called Woods? Yeah. Hollywood! Did he win an auction to get the spot to play with celebrities or how did he... Yeah, how'd you get? Did you win a raffle? Yeah, a raffle. You won a raffle. Oh, who was your favorite celebrity? I didn't win a raffle. Easy celebrity. Your name was in a drawing then. Hey, is that why you were practicing signing your signature? That was why. Because remember yesterday when you were practicing signing your name? That's right. Remember that? Do you have your sunglasses picked out that you will wear? Yes. Have you alerted people that...
Flash photography will not be allowed. Not be allowed. You're not taking pictures. Are you afraid that the paparazzi might meet you there? Oh, my gosh. Oh, man. I wonder if this will be in Us Weekly. Get it all out of your system. Just, hey, I'm just trying to do stuff for charity. Wow. So I like charity. Who's this charity, girl? Thank you. Thank you for telling us about it. Great. Thank you. PE teacher. When is it? Next Saturday. Oh, we'll have to go. Next Saturday. What's the date? The 25th, I think. Hey, what other famous people are in it? Yeah. I don't know. We have a couple other DJs that are playing, ex-ball players, and a whole lot of teachers from our school. Yeah, watch. It'll be Eddie and Sky. Yeah. Hang on the line, please. I like my chances, though. M1 Lisa from Lakeside, are you there? Yes. You've got Team Fit. Hey, how about not start any? I'm not. I'm just saying I'm a good ball player. All right. All right. Are you guys ready? Yep. All right. I get to pick the category. Yes, you do. Start. Use your head here. Come on. We're mind-melting. Use your head. I'm going to pick one that I have not picked. He threw it. He threw it. Yeah. You know what would have helped? If you wouldn't have been, hey, this is easy. Hey, you would have had a lot more time. Spit it out. What are you telling me it's easy for? Just get to the point. I know it. Killing me. Team two gets the point. I'm sorry. We need a mind meld. I'm going to stay with world. That was kind of fun. Was it? Here we go. Oh, if. Oh, my gosh. Take it. If I'm an out.
Law? Yes. And then they do this whenever there's like a blackout or something bad goes on. They call it. It's a certain type of that. It's a curfew law. No, it's I'm Matt Dillon. I'm the born identity. I'm a different kind of cop. Matt Dillon. A cop. I'm a cop, but an old Western. So that law. He's a gangster. No, it's a. Oh, gosh. Out mandatory. Mandatory out. It's like if the government brings down the... Smackdown. Throw down a curfew and the state troopers come in. It's a different name. Shut down. Lockdown. There's another name for a cop. It's another name for a cop or a police officer. Not a sheriff, but... Deputy. No, he's the... Yes! Martial law. Martial law. It's tied. One to one. First. I can't hear... out of my headphones. First team to four is going to be the winner. Well, turn your volume up. I am changing the category. I'm all off. It's a sports and game. Here we go. Sports and game. You ready? Yep. Snowboarding is one. Skateboarding. Extreme. X sports. X games. You're right. You're right. Extreme. Yep. And then what are those called? Extreme sports. Yep. Okay. Wow. You would do this. You would put up maybe like 250 pounds. You lay down. Oh, base press. Yes.
Oh, wow. Oh, famous golfer cheated. Oh, Tiger Woods. Yep. Oh. Oh, I have this in there when we do a game and I will shoot you with it. BB gun. Wow. You wear this when you surf, when you swim. Sweat suit. Second word is right. Skin suit. When you take a very luxurious. Bath. Bubble suit. No. Bath suit. Bath suit. Your bathing suit. Yes. Oh, my God. Oh, gosh. Oh, it's three words. It's the thing that you smell out of on your face. Your nose. And then the first word is not hello. It's goodbye. Yeah, but just short. Good. Good nose. Buy a nose. Oh, you win by a nose. A horse wins. I didn't have much time. All right. Team one or team two? They are team one. Team one. Team one. Okay. All right. We're up two to one. We're up two to one. Two to one. Two to one. Okay. We got this. We got this. We got this. Whatever. You don't need your headphones because we're all in the same room. I know, but then I can't hear my own voice. Am I projecting enough? Yeah, yeah. You're good. Explore the space. Yeah, explore the space. Whoa, easy. Okay, it's two words, and if this and this go together, what do you call that? A breast leg. Or you light it. You light it. A match? Okay, that's the second word. Match. A shooting match. Yes. Holy cow. Oh, my gosh.
Oh, if I get in a pool. Swim laps. But it's like, teach me. Swim lessons. Yes. Wow, wow, wow. Okay. Brian Urlacher plays for them. The Chicago Bears. Yes, sir. Oh, my gosh. I'd never get that. Okay. Bowling. Yes, it's bowling shoes. Bowling shoes. Oh, it's tied up. Two. Two. Two. Two. The category will now be. Hey, P.E. teacher. Your celebrity softball player is keeping this thing close. Well, now he's a celebrity catchphrase player. That's right. Are we just a regular citizen? Yeah, you guys are regular catchphrase players. Hang on the line. I'm going to go world as well. Here we go. Oh, wow.
I think she wrote a book about this Jewish family. And Frank? Yes. Oh, wow. That was great. Not the upper or the lower. The middle. The middle. Middle child. No. You're sitting in a school room. So what would that be called? Weapons of destruction. What would that be called? That kind of nuclear weapons. That kind of warfare. You were right there. You were right there. What was it? Chemical warfare. You were right there. Oh, my gosh. Oh my gosh, you guys. Team Fit is up by one. There you go. Three to one. They only need one more point and they win. Get! We're going to stay with the same category. What's a category? Same thing as Matt Dillon. Matt Dillon. No, Matt Dillon.
At Festus is a... He's Matt Dillon. He's an old actor. He was a character. Oh, yeah. He was in Entourage. No. No, he was in Something About Mary. No. He's in Kramer vs. Kramer. No. Matt Dillon was a famous marshal. Yeah, he was a famous marshal from Gunsmoke. Oh, but wait. Who's the guy from Entourage, then? I don't know. Matt Dillon. Adrian Grenier. Here we go. Here we go. Oh. They did it here. It's everywhere. I'm going to give you the second word. What do I do with scissors? Cut. And then if I have to balance my... Sheets? I balance it in my bank book. Accounting? But it's called... I have to put this together so I don't spend too much. I can only have this much of it. Budget cut. Yeah, wow. Fake bit. It was a real bit. God. You have this. It spins. It spins. There's countries all over it. A globe. Yeah. That's a derivative of that word. Like warming. Blank warming. Global warming. Global warming. Just that word. Just the first word. Global warfare. That's it. Oh, okay. You join this because it's not what you can do for your country. Oh, identical. You join this? You join it because you want there to be, oh, come on, man. Let's have some. Okay. You join a political party. Yeah.
What am I doing? You want a ticket in your pot? Peace Corps. Peace Corps. Peace Corps? You don't really estimate on that. Oh, man. As soon as she went, yeah, man. Yeah, man. Oh, man. It held up the V. I was like, oh, look at that. We're two. Okay, we're two. Now it's 3-3. 3-3. Okay, so team one. Now it's 3-3. Hey, man. Hey, man. We're tied, right? Yes. Ask not what you can do. That's identical Kennedy. I screwed it up. Ask not what your country. Yes. SciTech. Oh, like this guy. Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. What do they call it after an atomic bomb? What happens? Mushroom cloud. That's right. Whoa. Oh, I'm kind of nerdy, and I go and collect these. These are insects. Another name for insects? Bugs. Bug collector. Wow. That was right? Yeah. Oh, God. The little smiley faces on your iPhone are called what? Icons. Close. Digicons. Nope. Keep going. Emoticons. Yeah! Oh, my gosh. Oh, gosh. Oh, dude, you're getting a... You're getting a wave. Dale. These are getting good. You are a winner. I don't even know what you won. Hamburger? I don't know. What was the prize? Walking Dead. Yeah, first season of The Walking Dead. The first season of The Walking Dead. If you haven't seen it, it's great. It's about zombies. It's good. Yeah, it's great. Hang on, PE teacher. Not only do you get the prize of getting to play softball with this celebrity. Oh, yeah. Gosh darn it. But you also, you also are going to get the first season of The Walking Dead. Which just pales in comparison. Well, yeah. That's really what the real prize is. The real prize has already been won. The real prize has already been won. Hey, Hollywood, I'm a huge fan of yours. That's right. Thank you. Hang on the line, PE teacher. Do you think I could get an autograph or would I have to pay for it? Well, you could, but you'd have to bring a softball. Could you sign the one that's on your backwoods? Yeah.
Okay, that was brilliant. That was brilliant, and there's no two ways about it. I'm sorry, you're dealing with a professional comedian. Woods on his back has a tattoo that he's not proud of, and he calls it a flaming softball. It's actually a sun, but it looks... Oh, is that what it is? It's a sun, and Woods says he calls it a flaming softball. How ironic that you're playing in a celebrity softball game, Woods. Wow. Are you going to wear your shirt or are you going to keep it off? Notice I didn't tell anyone. It'll be like you have on a uniform because the logo will be right there on the back of your shoulder. You should just wear like a wife beater so that people can see it. You know? Holy cow. I was asked to play by local musician Josh D'Amigo. Oh, wow. And I accepted. Yeah. And it's for charity. You'll be like Kid Rock out there. Oh, my God. With a wife beater on. Oh, my God. That is so fantastic. I've been outed. You were not going to tell us. No, I wasn't going to tell you. You were not going to tell us. Gosh, darn it. I've been outed. I can't wait to see the coverage of it. Oh, my God. By the way, I need to.
Make sure that this information gets out there. Katy Perry and Russell Brand have, in fact, settled their custody agreement for Krusty the cat. This is a true story. I'm not making this up. This is a true story. Krusty the cat is their cat, and she's gotten custody of Krusty. Wow, it's as it should be. Yeah, yeah. Usually the mother. Yeah, well, the judge always favors the mother. She also has a cat named Kitty Purry. Yep, Kitty Purry. Kitty Purry. Isn't that genius? There's something that we all use, and it's pretty important, that is going to get cut because of the budget cuts from President Obama. And believe it or not, the sound effect that you just heard kind of plays into it. What? This is The Mikey Show. I like it. I like it. Be a part of the show. 570-1949. San Diego, a Lincoln financial radio station. This is The Mikey Show. All right. Let's start with Mikey. I don't trust anybody who has a P.O. box. Woods. It's against my will. Lauren. Pretty much every morning I think that somebody's going to jump out and kill me when I get into my car. And Jay. You know you're in trouble if you can't outrun your grandma. Yeah. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's L-O-B. That's Jay. Screening phones for us today is girls. Tomorrow, L-O-B is going to be dancing at the House of Blues. Beautiful girls. It's going to be 11 beautiful girls. L-O-B and 10 other M1s up there dancing. Yeah. So if you want to see these girls, what you need to do is go down to the House of Blues tomorrow. We're going to be there and broadcast live from 530 to 9. We want you there. Come out. Hang out. Have a good time. Woods, controversy at TCU. Yeah, absolutely, man. Texas Christian University is in Fort Worth, Texas. Great football school. That's where LT went. Yeah, LT. Yeah. Daniel Tomlinson went to TCU. Two of its defensive stars have been kicked off the team for selling drugs. Oh, gosh. Tanner Brock and DJ Yendry were removed from the roster after being arrested on Wednesday morning.
This has been a six-month undercover sting. They've been selling pot and other drugs to undercover police officers there. More stuff is coming out. One report I saw was that one of the undercover cops asked one of these guys, I think it was DJ Yandri, he said, hey, what about a drug test? Don't you guys have to pass a drug test to play? He goes, 60% of this team would fail a drug test. Oh, my gosh. Dude. This is only the tip of the iceberg about what we're going to hear about TCU. Also taken into custody were cornerback Devin Johnson, offensive tackle Ty Horn. They've all been kicked off the team. Thirteen other students have also been arrested. Oh, my gosh. Absolutely crazy. And then in news that wasn't so surprising yesterday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have released Albert Hainsworth. He was claimed off waivers from New England in November, but they'll save $7.5 million by releasing. That load. It's a lot of dough. Albert Haynes. Yeah, and that guy is always trouble. Yeah, dude. How many times do you learn? So Obama is going to, you know, he released his budget. Well, one of the cuts is going to come here in California. And all it's going to eliminate is the program that tests fruits and vegetables for things like E. coli. Oh, gosh. You know, that kind of stuff.
Deadly pathogens. You know what I'm talking about, right? I hate pathogens. Oh, pathogens are bad. Salmonella, E. coli, Listeria. So we have a habit of testing our stuff to make sure that it's all good. Sure. The budget plan that's being sent through to Congress, well, it's going to ax the Agriculture Department's tiny microbiological data program. That's perfect. Yeah. So I won't be screening that stuff anymore. Just wash real good. Can't we just wash it? That's what I was going to say. Yeah, you're going to have to. I do anyway. It's basically like living in Mexico, you know. It's going to be like, it is. In Mexico, they don't do that. You can buy anything. How well do you wash? That's what I wash. Like, I wash it. Wouldn't you have to scrub that stuff off? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We scrub it. We actually have soap we spray on our fruit. So does Rebecca. She's got some thing that you spray on there. It's like. It's like the stuff that comes out of an orange rind. Really? And it cleans vegetables. Can you taste it? Yes. Tastes a little bit like orange. Yeah, forget it. Yeah. Ow. She does, though. She cleans all the apples and stuff like that. Really? Yeah. I don't have enough time in my day to clean my fruit. I know, man. Cleaning apples. Well, then you'll be in trouble. It's fine. This email says, Mikey, my coworker swears he, quote, loves being alone.
He and I are buddies at work, but he says he just doesn't like to socialize. Do you guys think that there's actually people out there that are like that or am I naive and he just doesn't like me but pretends to? I'm one mouth. Yes, I believe that there are people that do, in fact, I don't know, putting it, loves being alone. I mean, that's pretty, that's pretty. Crazy. In fact, we do know this. Studies have shown a person cannot live by themselves. They will die. Forever? Yes. You actually need contact. You can live for a while, but it will eventually kill you. Being alone? I don't know, man. I mean, Woodsy, do you think people are just wired that way? They like being alone? Yeah, I think we're next to one of them. Right now. Yes. Our name is Lauren R. O'Brien. Wow. The part of the email that really struck a chord with me was the part that it said, you know, yes, we work together and he says he likes me. Yes. But I never see him outside of work. I love you guys. You. You. I do. I like a lot of alone time. Yes. I really do. Alone time's good. Alone time is very good. What's what? What? What? Yeah. She likes a lot of alone time. She knows you a lot.
Yeah. She likes a lot of time without her friends, Mike and Woods. How come you hate us? I don't. I love you guys. Do you? I do. Do you? I don't like to hang with us. I don't like just being the three of us because you guys do bits. That's such a week. We do bits with you. The three of us do bits all day long. No. Not when it's out of the workplace. When you're out of the workplace, it's like. You only have eyes for each other. I don't buy it. I don't either. The three of us in this room, when those mics go off, we do bits the whole time. All of us. Usually it's the two of you. No, it's not. Who just off the air made a comment about a male's anatomy that was really... I did. In fairness to you, I did. Lauren R. O'Brien. She's a comedian. She can hold her own. She's a comedian. If you look at her Facebook page, she's got pictures with all her other friends. I know. She's always hanging out with somebody. She does? I do not. She's always out at a casino. That's not true. You think it creeps around your Facebook page? Out at a casino was a gig. I did. Go look at my Facebook picture. I don't have pictures of you and my friends. Do you have a bunch of friends you hang out with? No. I don't have any friends. Oh, my gosh. No, I really don't. E-Meryl. Meryl from the belly up is my one friend. So there's...
The people that M1 Mouth is talking about, they exist. Look, people have their work friends, and then they have their other friends. We have to resign ourselves, Mike, you and I, and Jay probably, to the fact that we're just work friends. Well, sometimes you don't mix those worlds. In my other jobs, I didn't really mix those worlds. And you don't here. Oh, boy, no. No. Some jobs I did, some jobs I didn't. Here, it's just like, you know. You guys do bits. We see each other on a very intimate level. Yes. At my other workplaces. Well, because we're nude right now, it doesn't necessarily make it. We're together all the time with nobody else to mingle with. I see you guys more than I see anyone in my life. That is a true story. That's a true story. That is a true story. We do spend a lot. And a lot of people, as you're listening right now, just ask yourself, when you're at work, you spend eight hours or, if you're like a lot of Americans, Even more than eight hours. You spend a lot of time with the people that you work with. Absolutely. So if you're not hanging with them outside of that, does that make it that you like your alone time? Or does it mean that you don't like hanging out with your work? Maybe it's not that you don't like it. You've got a family. Most people have like family members. They've got other friends. They've got the gym to go to. You know? I... Why are you looking...
See, I'm looking at Woods and I'm thinking, well, Woods, you like your alone time too, don't you? Yeah. Yeah. But he does like to hang out. I love to hang out. Yeah, I love to hang out. Yeah. 570-1949. Where are you with this? Dude, here's the deal. I can knock out, because of what we do for a living and our new schedule, I can knock out everything that I have to get done by noon. So most of my days consist of me at home going... What's on pay-per-view? Oh, haven't seen this one yet with Tobey Maguire. You don't go on 14-mile bike rides with Jay? I do not. I go to the gym and then I go home and I eat and cook. Sometimes Lauren and I will get together and pick wheat. Yeah, that's true. We do do that. Braid alfalfa. You guys actually have never done that. We'll just braid alfalfa. We'll braid each other's hair, too. Braid each other's hair. We should get back to where we're hanging out for lunch at least one day a week. Too much going on now. Gosh darn it. She hates it. She won't do it. On me, I love you. You only have to pay. I've got too much going on now. I'm a busy person. I'm watching my knees. Got a very busy life. We can't get it.
We could say Taye Diggs is over here. He's nude. Yeah. She wouldn't come because we were there. Send a pic. Yeah, send a pic. Tell myself what's up. Your monster. This is all over the news. The Oceanside sea lion. Very sad. This poor little sea lion got shot. And it was found in Oceanside on the beach. Five to ten years old. They think this sea lion was. They called SeaWorld. Some people found it near Wisconsin Street, so they called SeaWorld. SeaWorld came down there, helped out, and that's another reason to love SeaWorld. No doubt. Absolutely. This poor little thing was in bad shape, real lethargic and stuff. And they had to stabilize it, give it antibiotics. Oh, my gosh. Before they did a surgical procedure. It's a female, weighed about 100 pounds, and was about 30 pounds. underweight, at first wouldn't eat, but then did start eating. And, yeah, had a fairly sizable wound on her left flipper. Who's the D-head that shoots a sea lion? They're saying that it was either just a person that was, it was a random act or a fisherman that was trying to protect his catch. Right. So, one of the two. Either way, monstrous. Yeah, beheading. I'll behead you.
Beheaded. I will behead you. If I find out who you are, I'm going to behead you. Oh, my gosh. This is sad. Let's see. This is M1, I believe. Mitch? Is it Mitch from Miramar? Mitch, yeah. Yeah, Mitch. So you're calling to talk about the person we were just talking about. What kind of person is that that doesn't want to hang out? What do you think? You know, I think that that guy, he just likes, he likes hanging out with, you know. some pretty down-to-earth people. It sounds like this person sending his email seems like they're kind of nitpick in this situation. They probably bug this guy all the time to hang out with them. Kind of reminds me of my old roommate, and he would always come home, and he'd want to hang out. He'd want to go do something. I was like, yeah, you know, I just feel like hanging out tonight, just being by myself, but really, I just wanted him to leave the room. Kind of sounds like that kind of situation. Now, let me tell you, the phrase do unto others is you would have done unto you. I like the phrase because honestly, like if I'm at some place, like let's say I go someplace by myself and I'm going to eat at the bar, which I can do now without, you know, getting a drink. But if I do that, I'm not the guy to start up conversation with the person next to me. If I'm on an airplane, I'm not the guy to start up conversation with the person next to me. Now I feel like I'm doing them a favor.
By not bugging them. But Woodsy says no. But Woodsy is extremely outgoing. He's a very outgoing person. Loud. I like to visit. I'm not that loud. Would you visit if you were sitting next to the person at the bar? Oh, yeah. Oh, gosh. And if the person said something, you would definitely strike up conversation. Let's say I'm at Outback Steakhouse and I'm having a steak. And the guy next to me is there. And, you know, Jeremy Lin from the Knicks comes on. And the guy goes, can you believe this kid? Oh, dude, 45 minutes later, I'll be sitting there talking about it. That exact thing happened to me about Jeremy Lin. Really? That's how I knew who Jeremy Lin was the first time. English guy was from Manchester and was sitting next to me as I was having lunch and said that exact thing. Brought up Jeremy Lin. Yeah. Yeah. Now, I'm. I'm a keep to myself guy. Yes. You know, I'm a very shy off the mic. So I was quiet. Well, did you talk to him? What did you say? I go, oh, that was it. That was the extent of it. I was like, oh, wow. I'm looking at you. I know. I know. I'm looking at you like, what is this thing? What is this thing? I know. Yeah, different strokes. The thing, I think the thing that we do with LOB, that, you know, in that case.
We over ask. Yeah, you do. Now, but here's the thing with Ella B. If we do something and she wasn't invited, she gets real mad. If you guys have a party and don't invite me. Anything. If we had a gathering, if we did. You guys go to lunch all the time. If we did something. We don't go to lunch all the time. This is M1 Casey from San Diego. What was the word of the day? Airport. How did I say it? You snuck it in there. I don't remember what I said. I don't remember saying. You're talking about having a drink next to somebody. Or if you're riding in an airport. Or a car or something. And I said airport? Uh-huh. We said airplane. I said airplane. Well, you said airport. I did? Uh-huh. I had like 30 people here listening with me. Okay. All right. Hang on the line. I thought I said airplane. I did too, but. I think you said airplane. Well, let's give it to her. Have at it. Yeah, you can have it. At least she's listening. Yeah, she's listening. You can have it. Feast on it. You're about the 14-year-old here in San Diego who got stun gunned. Korea Middle School, Point Loma Heights. He stole some iPods. 20 iPods were stolen from the school. What are you doing? So the cops come up to him, and he had a few of the iPods on him, so they wanted to arrest him. And he said, no, you're not putting handcuffs on me. Wow.
He was ordered to put his hands behind his back. He didn't want to, so they stun-gunned him. Now, he's 14 years old. He's 5'10", 150 pounds. Well, yeah, you're going to get stun-gunned if you don't put your hands behind your back. You don't resist arrest, man. No. You don't steal iPods. Yeah. Yeah, you don't steal iPods. I don't have a problem with them tasing a kid that was not, you know. Doing what they told him to do. I read an article. I read. Oh, he pulled the barbs out, by the way. Yeah. And they got him again. They had to get him again. Oh, they got him. He yanks him out and then they get him again. Yeah. But I read the article this morning that people were like up in arms. And I'm like, well, their their bit was, hey, he's just a kid. He's 14. And shouldn't they be able to, you know, hold him? And it's like, look, if this guy's fighting around, just tase him. It's done. You handcuff him. No long term effects from that. You know. That's the same person that says, why don't they shoot the gun out of his hand? Give me a break with that already. Shoot the gun. You know? Anyway, so this kid, he has been detained. A couple other wacky things that are happening in San Diego and in your world that you may not know about. Dave Matthews coming to town. September 7th, he'll be a quicker.
Cricket Wireless. Green Day is recording a new album. We know that because yesterday, Billy Joe Armstrong tweeted, Happy Valentine's Day. What's Valentine's Day? Oh, no, Maya. You did not. What is Valentine's Day? Happy Valentine's Day. Oh, no. Officially started recording my own record today. Did you know? That one in 12 marriages are interracial. L-O-B. L-O-B. Mikey. Yeah. That's true. Interracial marriage. Yep. I'm not. I'm not either. But I would be. I'm married to a black woman. No, you're not. You're married to a blonde woman. I'm married to a blonde. I am Mexican. That's right. Yeah. A lot of white girls are attracted to brownies like me. You know?
I think that that's just the opposite to track deal. I don't know why it's being made such a big deal out of. But it's a record. Record numbers in the United States. Listen to some stats. More than 15% of new marriages in 2010 were interracial. More than 25% of Hispanics and Asians who were married in 2010 had a spouse of a different race. Compared to 17.1% of blacks. and 9.4% of whites. Do you guys, does that surprise you in any way, way, shape, or form? 63% said it would be okay if a family member were to marry outside their race, which means they were asked the question. How many percent? 63. 37%. Would not be. No, it's not okay. How crazy. Wow. How crazy is that? It's just backward thinking, man. Maybe they're asking in the South.
Yeah, for sure. A judge ordered a guy to take his wife on a date. I'll explain. Happened in Florida. And there was domestic abuse involved. And so the judge said, all right, here's what you have to do, Joseph. You got to take your wife, Sonia, out. First of all, you got to get her flowers. Then you need to get her a birthday card. Then you're taking her out to Red Lobster. And then you're going bowling. Wow. And then you have to see a marriage counselor. He dictated where they were going. Yeah, Red Lobster. It's affordable. It's unbelievable. Yes. He didn't make it too pricey. No. You know, he made it reasonable. Yeah. First, flowers, birthday card, dinner at Red Lobster, bowling, then a marriage counselor. Wow. I think all you can eat crab. How's that? I'm just saying.
Woods, that's your friend. That's your friend. You hired that guy. That is your friend, Jason R. Isabel. Everything he says, I have to process. Is that sexual? Is that sexual? Is that sexual? I had to. Well, yeah, because there's not all you can eat crab right now at Red Lobster. It's sexual. Everything is sexual. Everything. There's my zinger. I got you, Mike. He's a big fan of zingers. Oh, he loves the zingers. Zingers are a big player for friends. Telemarketers may be a thing of the past. Thank God. Dude, wait till I tell you about this. Smaller across the board, but a little bit more rideable with some east-southeast winds out there trying to clean things up for the most part. Beach breaks look kind of fun right now. Pick and choose corners, some hollower spots on some of the inside sandbars, otherwise just a bit shifty. Kind of a tough paddle out in some areas as well as that windswell is causing it to break real consistently.
few quarters as well a little bit more broken up in the higher tide this morning is slowing them down but it's a lot cleaner and more surfable than yesterday bear in mind though that the water is pretty darn dirty all that rain we had that's nothing but flush all that nasty stuff right back out the ocean where we surf for up to the minute surf reports forecast go to surfline.com and this surf report can be heard three times daily right here on fm 94.9 this has been the fm 94.9 authentic surf report and now back Back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. Got it. 8 o'clock day and 4, so take care of it. You know what to do. So check this out, man. The FCC is cracking down on telemarketers. Yes.
I know it, man. Everybody hates telemarketers. And so yesterday they said that they're going to require to get written consent from people before they're able to call. Before. How many will they get? Three? I don't know. But before telemarketers used to call if they, quote, had established a business relationship with you. Now, they were able to do that through a technicality. You signed up for something. There's a business relationship. Right. That's like the Red Cross. They call me all the time. Do they really? Well, they're going to have to provide a way for you to revoke your consent to the calls by pressing a couple of keys on your phone during the call, which will automatically add you to the do not call list. Sweet. Boom. I'm on the do not call list and people still call. They're making it harder. Yeah. They're making it even harder. I get calls.
Right around when there's big football games, I used to gamble online a little bit. Oh, wow. And so I get calls. From your bookie? No, I answer the phone and, hello? Hey, how you doing, Steve? It's Tony from Vegas. I want to tell you the line tonight. And I'm like, ah! And I just hang up. Oh, my gosh. All the time. And I mean three times a week. Are you serious? Yeah. Hey, this is Tony with Max Sports Bet. How you doing, pal? I'm not interested. I have to go. It freaks me out. I paid. I paid. Hey, is this Steve? Hey, how you doing, Steve? That's exactly it. How do you like your legs? I get you minus two on the bills tonight. I'm not interested, sir. Thank you. Wait a minute, Steve-O. I got a big one for you. Are you kidding me? Are you going to walk away from this? No, please don't. Please. Who's the broad talking on the phone? Why are both of you? I think you guys are both attacking me. I don't want to bet. I'm done betting. That was me being a guy. I don't gamble. I don't gamble. Jay's car got kissed again. Shocking.
I was up all night, too. My neck has a crick in it. I was laying on my pillow kind of trying to listen. What's a pillow? It's like a pillow, but it's different now. Hang on a second. Now, you got up this time and tried to find out what was going on. Well, my dog was doing this growl thing. He was like doing this. And I was like, okay. What time? All night. All night. At midnight, I get up. Because he's like, he full on got into a barking spasm. And so I got up. I rushed down the stairs in my pajama bottoms. And I rushed out the front door and checked the window. And? Nothing there. The weird thing was the door was unlocked. The weird thing was the door was unlocked and there was a few lights on the house. And then I'm paranoid that somebody's in the house. Oh, gosh. And your wife is not a practical joke player? No, she's not. As a matter of fact, yesterday she was very angry. Whoa. With me. She was like, you know.
Everything you say. It was all I said was everything. It was my fault. Oh, yeah. All I said, I brought this on myself. I don't blame her. I would probably say the same thing. Well, how does he get somebody to kiss his window? Because he's always like making comments about send us a picture and like stuff like creepy stuff on the air. I don't see how that. send us a picture, it turns into some chick kissing her car. We as women would say, yeah, you invite this kind of behavior. And that is exactly what this woman said to me. You're open to that sort of thing. You sent out an invitation for crazy and they RSVP'd. Yeah, they did. Yeah, they did. They responded very kissy. So please stop. Oh, they're listening. Whoever's kissing your window is listening. There's no doubt in my mind. I do have to ask one question. Woods, is this you? No, dude. Come on. Like, I'm going to get up and drive to your house and kiss your windshield. That's so weird. Let me check your mouth. Let me check your mouth for a little bit. Yeah, do you have lipstick on your crepe? Well, a couple people said on Facebook yesterday, they said that looks like big fat wood lips. Well, a couple people are dip asses, too. How do people know what big fat wood lips look like? Yeah, how many people are kissing you? Yeah, my lips aren't fat. First of all. Yeah, first of all, my lips are skinny. Are you a serial?
Kiss her? Yeah, I set my alarm. I get up at, you know, 1.30, and I roll over to Jay's, smooch his windshield, go back home, crawl back into bed for another couple hours, and then I roll in here. Come on. Yeah, he's in front of a mirror. Yeah, every night. Jay has someone kissing his window. That is so bizarre. I don't like it. Stop it. Yeah, it's creepy. That's creepy, dude. Yeah, it's creepy. Let's see. The hottest pepper in the world is no longer the ghost pepper. It is not the ghost pepper anymore. It's the jalapeno. It is no. No, man. It's a child's blood. It is for me. It's a candy. Now, do you know what Scoville units are? It's like saying Fahrenheit. It's how they measure the heat of something. Got it. Okay, so you said jalapenos. Jalapenos, gosh.
2,500 to 8,000 Scoville units. See, I told you, that's high. In a jalapeno. Tabasco sauce. 2,500 to 5,000 Scoville units. Nothing. Can drink it. Mama Cita, that stuff's hot. The Trinidad Moruga Scorpion has been tested by New Mexico State University and it is now the hottest pepper in the world. One. 0.2 million Scoville units. It would kill me. Yeah, it would kill you. Because Woods thinks that Tabasco is really hot. I put some Tabasco on broccoli the other day, and you guys thought I was losing my mind. I was like, oh, my God, oh, my God. You are a clown. Oh, my God. Guinness Book of World Records used to say that it was the ghost chili. Have you had a ghost pepper or ghost chili before? I thought that that was the...
The scotch bonnet, the habanero, the orange pepper. That's what I thought a ghost pepper was. And I love those. You love them. Oh, dude, the flavor is delicious. The flavor of them is delicious. I always thought that guys that ate real spicy stuff were just trying to do like a dong contest. I really did. No, it tastes good. Some of them do. I'll give you an example. There's a pepper called serrano. I don't like the way it tastes. Right. I just don't like the way it tastes. But I see like, I see, I have friends in Texas. And in Texas, it's a big swing and D contest. It's not hot enough. And you'll see them and they're eating it. They look like they're in pain. They're sweating profusely. And I've always been like, that doesn't do anything. It's the same thing as saying. I've watched people go to these scary movies, and while they're in the scary movie, they're jumping, they look like they're terrified, but there's something about it that's like, yes, it is a little bit scary, but there's also something very, there's a good payoff to it, and it's the thrill. Hot stuff, it'll get you, but it tastes good. The taste, yeah, because I have, some of the stuff we've had, some of the little sauces that we've had in here, I had that really hot sauce one time. Remember when Jay switched it on me? Yeah. And I thought I was going to die. Yeah. So that's not.
That's not cool. We have some ghost pepper sauce. We do? Mm-hmm. Where? It's out there. No way. Yeah. Will you eat some? Oh, heck yeah. Would you? Oh, yeah. What do you want it on? Yes. Well, first of all, I ain't letting you put it on anyway. Yeah, no. I have to apply it. I know you. You douse. He'll rub it on his butt first, too. Well, he would douse it. You can just lick it out of my belly button. Our friend, Zero, who works in our promotions department. Is this... Just an excuse. This is just an excuse. For you to talk about syrup. He's from Mexico. He was in tears trying the ghost pepper sauce. So are you saying that because he's from Mexico, he should be able to handle it? He should be able to. And even a guy from Mexico. He's authentic Mexican. You're from Guam. Even a guy from Mexico. You're from Guam. Man. We should have a Mexican off. Yeah. Between Mikey and Sierra. Yeah, Mike. How Mexican are you? How Mexican are you? There's one hot sauce out here that Lou brought in, and it is... You can't even touch it. Really? Yeah, because I had to put a plastic bag over the top because I moved the bottle one time, and then I went to do the men's room thing, and then I was on fire. His junk was burning. I had to pull over on the way home. It was miserable. How have you been there? Hot wing. Hot wing. It happens.
I'll be right back. Got to go the rest. Yeah. Hot wings. I got jalapeno in my eye. It was a bad day. I got Tabasco under my tongue one time, and I thought that was over. I had a roommate named Christy who ate a Thai pepper on mistake in some Chinese food and started crying. Crying. My dad told me one time he went and ate kimchi, which is a Korean dish. I think it's disgusting. Oh, it's so good. But he ate it. He said the kind that he got, it was like the hottest. He said he couldn't eat for like four days. And he couldn't drink anything. It made it worse. M1, Janelle, are you there? Hi. Janelle's from Santee, and your husband knows a little bit about this. Actually, my boyfriend. But, yeah, he's growing the Trinidad peppers, the ghost peppers, and the butch tea peppers, and he is under the assumption that I'm going to try all of them. Wow. Will you try any of them? I might. The hottest pepper I've ever had was a habanero, and it turned my face purple, so I'm a little worried about it. Wait, wait, wait. With the habanero, did you just eat it, like, take a bite from a raw pepper? Yeah, I ate the whole thing.
Oh, gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's gnarly. Habaneros are hot. The white, like, stringy stuff, I don't know what you call that. It almost is like the cartilage of the pepper is what makes it really hot. A lot of people think it's the seeds, but it's the oil that collects in that white rind there. Yeah. The seeds are hot, too. The seeds have it, too. Oh, yeah. But if you cut that white stuff off and you take the seeds out, you're usually good to go. Yeah. It'll be spicy at that point, but it won't have the same kind of heat. I went to your house once, Mike, and you got me naked chicken wings. And the stuff that you were eating, I could smell through the box. It was so hot. And that was like nothing for you. I love it. Love hot stuff. Me too. It's gross. But I don't like Serrano. Serrano's. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of Serrano's. 570-1949. We're going to be talking to a doomsday, well, he knows a lot about doomsday prepping. There's a new show out. It's called Doomsday Preppers. And if you haven't seen the commercials for it, it's so rad. It's one of those deals that you can't take your eyes off. Listen to this. A bulletproof compound is not enough for Paul and Gloria. Like many preppers, they want the complete insurance.
of a plan B. Our goal, no matter what happens, except for in the case of something really extreme happening, is to actually stay in place. But if we had to, we could uproot and uproot really quickly. Let's get going. Let's get moving. In case the range compound is compromised, they have formulated an extensive evacuation plan, a bug out, that will take the entire team to a second location 12 hours north. And today... Face the sounds. Face it out. We're running a drill to make sure that we can load up in under an hour and bug out. They will drive specially customized bug out vehicles, secondhand school buses. We've got a house sitting on wheels. We took all the seats but a few out. We have a way for at least four to six people to sleep within the confines of the vehicle. Paul knows from Vietnam that being able to bug out quickly could mean the difference between life and death.
What you need to know. I've now seen a few episodes of Doomsday Preppers. The word bug out is a big player in the Doomsday world. I was wondering about that. Bug out is a big player. And so you will hear it so many times. Well, upon bug out, you need to be like you hear that word a lot. OK, bugging out means it's time to move from my house, work, wherever. And go to the safe place. Okay? Now, this is a lifestyle. This is not something that they do in their spare time. This isn't golf. No. No, no, no. Not a hobby. No. This is like you wear shirts. You know? That's a part of your life. You've got to put a shirt on before you go anywhere. Part of their life is freeze drying, packing, storing. These people, those guys, the ones that you just heard, they pack all this stuff in to a bus, a school bus. They travel, and it's like the whole family. So it's not just this guy. It's like his cousins, his relatives, okay? And they will bug out, and they'll drive to a specified location, and then they'll put the school buses in a box.
They want to have a perimeter. Yeah, you need one. Yes. That must. And they want to have a guard on each corner. Right, totally. Everybody has a weapon. Yes, everybody has a weapon. Wow. Now, there are some doomsday preppers that don't use weapons. And they don't believe in weapons. Well, they're just crazy. Yes. And there's a prepper community. If it gets that bad. I don't really want to be around. I thought that. I totally want to be around. I do not. If it's like it was in the Book of Eli. What is it? Book of Eli. Where it was just everything was destroyed. Desolate. Ashes everywhere. Just take me out. What a blast that would be. I don't care. Why do you want to live in that? It would be so much fun trying to survive. Trying. To survive. But what? A gray, ashy future? Yes. Like, that's your life? What is the point? Yeah, these people are putting up, they got gas masks. They have food. I mean, food storage. Some of these people that, like, the people that you just heard were one of the most fascinating. That family was one of the most fascinating. And every single day, every day, today, today, they will be boiling.
chicken, and then taking the chicken and canning it, okay, putting it in mason jars, and they do it in a way that is very, very professional so that it's not just willy-nilly canned. It's canned to be able to last for 15 years. They can eat that chicken in 15 years. There's one woman, she's kind of a heavyset woman, and she says, I'm going to be the only person at the apocalypse that still has 100 pounds to lose. And the reason is because she also enjoys gourmet cooking. And so what she's done is she's found a way to gourmet cook stuff that will last for, she had a party where everybody came over and was in the backyard and they were all feasting on this stuff that she had, you know, freeze dried or whatever. And she was trying to show them how delicious things are. Well, one of the things they were eating is one-year-old deviled eggs. Gross. Eggs that were actually a year old, but she knows how to preserve them so that they taste fresh. I have a question. Yeah, L-O-B. Woods, by the way, is looking, I mean, it couldn't, I said to Woods, it's 180 degrees from him. From what he would do. Yeah. The fatter you are.
Can you live longer without food? Why are you looking directly at me? Mikey, why are you burning a hole through there? You watch the show. You're looking directly at me. Like, would your body eat its own fat, like, off the stored fat? Boy, you got 10 years. I'm saying you're hypothetically. I'm not saying, like, you're a body, Mike. I'm saying, like, hypothetically. 10 to 15 years. It's a fat. It's got to be there for a reason, right? Just a storehouse on feet. If a fat person were stranded, like that story we talked about earlier, the couple that was stranded for three days, would they have needed those Girl Scout cookies or could they just eat their own, would their body feed off their own fat? And you don't know the answer because you don't live in that world. How would she know? Yeah, she wouldn't know. She's got no storage. And so you're wondering. I'm just wondering, like, do you know anything about that? Yeah, you're wondering if I may know. Because you watch that show. Because I watch the show. Because they touch on that subject. Yeah, but you have a look on your face. No. That I can see right now. No, I'm just wondering. M1 Honey Badger from Oceanside. Go ahead. Yeah, I got something to add about that. Everyone's getting too crazy about that, if you ask me. I mean, the only way you're really getting able to, like, actually survive is kind of post.
apocalyptic world would be just to unite, you know? Go back to the basics of what actually... I agree with you. I agree with you. But these people, they want to... They don't want their... I don't really actually believe it has anything to do with the doomsday coming. Right. I believe that it's a psychological thing that goes beyond that. Like, their anxiety is kind of gone away on a daily basis because they're like, hey... I've got everything taken care of. Yeah. Like maybe it's some sort of... You're saying like Hollywood's kind of like exploiting that? Is that what you're saying? No, no, no. No, no, no. No. No. In fact, I would have to say to that, no. But I think what you're trying to say is, are they exploiting it for this TV show? Yeah. Yes. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, but for our benefit. That's reality, though. I like the exploitation because I want to see it. Oh, yeah. And do they secretly want something to go wrong? Oh, yeah. They do, for sure. How pissed... That's not secret, though. How pissed is that guy going to be if, you know, he keels over from a heart attack and he's laying in the hospital with two days to live? He's going to be like... I have a bus full of $100,000 worth of boiled chicken. Yeah. Well, one of the guys that really goes all out, the guy that turned his...
swimming pool into a tilapia. He grows tilapia fish and they fish them out every day and they have tilapia lasagna, tilapia, every form of tilapia every night. He is what they call a 2012-er. He believes this is the year that we're going to go. You've heard of that, 2012. And by the way, 2012-ers believe that it can stretch a little bit into 2013. Mayans. When do you think this switch happened for him from swimming laps and drinking Mai Tais to farming tilapia in that pool? That is such a great question that I want to ask our doomsday prepper expert. He's actually the guy that for this TV show, he rates them. And by the way, they filmed their reaction when they're told you're not doing very good in a certain area. And you can see in them. Seating. Brage. A combination of rage and insult. Rage and freaking insult. First of all, I already thought of that. I know that. I just choose. It's one of those. I want to say goodbye to my son, Finn. He's getting out of the car at the airport right now, and he's taking off to the UK. See you, Finn. I'm going to make you love you, son. There you go, buddy. I'm wearing these tight size 42. Part of the show.

When I was a kid, my parents would always say, you have to eat your vegetables. Now that I'm the parent, I say to myself, we have to eat more vegetables. That's why I'm so excited about Vaughn's new lower prices on fruits and vegetables. I've been trying to buy organics as much as possible, and Vons has even dropped the prices on organic produce. Their organic salads are now two for just $5. I can afford that. And I can get organic Haas avocados, two for $3. The kids love blueberries, and they're so good for you. Now, Vons has eight-ounce containers of organic blueberries, two for just $6. All the produce at Vons always looks so great to me. And with their low prices, it's looking even better. What is wrong with you? I don't know. I don't know. Dude, I couldn't have had a bigger mouthful of chicken in my mouth. I couldn't have. Earlier, he was eating oatmeal. We're on the air. I look over at him. Now he had half a breast in his mouth. Well, that's not it. Let's call that a Saturday night. Yeah, Jeremy Lin. Lin's sanity continues. Maybe it's just unneeded. Too many cooks in the kitchen. Scott Hunt is a practical. He owns a company called Practical. preppers now he's the dude are you there scott yes i am scott actually is the guy that on the show doomsday preppers you evaluate them and let them know how they do oh gosh there is a delay there's a delay with can you hear me yeah i can hear are you bunkered down no i'm not i'm above ground okay good good you had you didn't have to bug out i did not perfect so uh scott is a the owner of
practical preppers, and tell everybody what you do. What we do is a wide variety of things, but we consult with people to help them prepare for whatever they're preparing for, whether it be a storm, ice storm, hurricane, tornado, EMP. Our solutions are typically all the same. We just work one-on-one with a customer to determine what they're preparing for. Okay, now, but you also are the guy... that evaluates the people on the TV show. Yes, we were on the pilot. My business partner and I were on the pilot for Doomsday Preppers. We're the ones that were running the wood gas truck and some other crazy things. And then they actually hired us to be the evaluators. We've been preppers for a long time. And so we evaluated up to 50 preppers from around the country in Canada to evaluate how they're doing in terms of their water, food, security. and how it matched their strategy. Now, wait a minute. That means that you are yourself a doomsday prepper. Yes, I wouldn't. Doomsday was picked by Nat Geo, but preppers is kind of a term that's been used for the last year. It's just kind of come along before it was sustainability, off-grid living.
Permaculture has a lot of different names. Changes everything about this interview. It changes it so cool. Yeah. So I'm actually talking to a prepper. And in addition to helping other preppers, you are a prepper. You're a mechanical engineer. For a long time. Yes, I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering. He made a truck that runs on wood. Wow. It runs on wood. What is it, the gas that comes out of the wood burning? Yes, it's the gas that comes out of wood. Burning with a lack of oxygen produces gases, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide that can run any internal combustion engine. That's crazy. How fast does it go? It's not fast. Not fast. But it runs. They move. 30%. Yeah. He opened the hood. There was no engine. He had designed this thing that made the truck move and go with just wood burning in the back of it.
There's an engine. There's an engine. We actually run the engine off of the gas that is woodcast. Well, it's a weird-looking engine if it's an engine. Now, did you have something that was built underground? Do I? No. Okay. You didn't have, like, a bunker. Some people, no. Everybody, you know, we don't agree with the bunker mentality. We agree, you know, that you live your life normally. If you want to store some things underground, all that, you know, it does provide for some better environment to store food. It's cool, steady temperature. You can store your fuel underground. That's good. But we don't, you know, we're normal folks. We believe in living a balanced life. We don't hide underground. So the underground preppers are like a whole different universe of prepper. There are survivalists and then there are preppers. And we feel a lot more the survivalists want to hide than function. They want to kind of just bug out and never come out of the ground. Bug out. There's a lot of overlap, but there's a difference. Okay. Question, question. I know that part of your deal is the water supply and that you have to have a proper water supply, correct? Correct. Okay. Now, how much water do you have set aside?
Well, in my location, it's a continual water supply, so it's millions of gallons. But I pump about 20,000 gallons a week. Moving water is good water. Yes. And a lot of times, when my stuff is to help other people, I've got five or six different ways to move water, store water, pump water. And it's part of our business, too, so people can actually see how it works. Do you have a website? I do. Practical Preppers. Practical? Preppers.com. So if there are people listening now that like to prep, there are preppers. He'll get you all set up. If I want to get into prepping, is that a good place to start? It would be a good place to start. Also, we have YouTube channels that actually have about 150 videos that actually show you some of these crazy things about the wood, gas truck, and pumps and things. Give you some good ideas. How much food do you have set aside? A year's supply plus. A year plus.
And that's, you know, we grow our own food, but we have a year's supply of food for everyone in our family, plus some. I barely have enough to make dinner tonight. I know. Do you ever get mad? These aren't gourmet meals either, so this is food to keep you alive. This is long-term food storage. It's not what we necessarily eat every day, but we could. But when we're talking to Scott Hunt, he's an owner, co-owner of Practical Preppers. He is, in fact, a prepper. One of the things they talk about, Doomsday Preppers, the TV show. Now, my question for you is, what are you prepping for? Like, you know, what's going to happen? Whatever you're prepping for, the solutions from our perspective are the same. You need water. You need food. No, no, no. But I want to be real specific. What are you specifically, Scott, what are you prepping for? What do you think is going to happen? Okay, I'm prepping for. economic downturn. I'm not hoping for that. The way things are going, for me to store food or fuel or anything, it's financially smart because the food prices continue to go up. Whatever I put away, whatever we're storing, could get me through a job loss, could get me through a period of time where there was no income.
Do you keep your storehouses a secret? No, I've stuck my neck out there because I'm helping people. There are people that wouldn't want their operational security given away. Yes. The buzzword in the prepper community. But, you know, we're helping people. We've kind of like, you know, we've been on Nat Geo. We have a website. We're traveling around. We consult now in many states. We travel to five states and install equipment. We're just kind of, this is our business. We are helping people. And people always give us a grief because we are, you know, you've told everybody what you have. So, you know, we're just normal folks. Yes. Well, yes, you are. Yes, you are. But you are also prepping for, you know, something big. Something big. If something big goes down, you're the guy to know. Yeah. If something big goes down, you're the guy to know. But also, you know, I've helped with, you know, Katrina relief and emergency preparedness. And the people that aren't prepared cannot help themselves nor anyone else. So if something happened in our community, say it's a tornado or a storm, I feel that I would be ready to help other people and wouldn't be paralyzed. Now, your buddy, who's the guy that was on the TV show with you? David. Okay, now what's his specialty? His specialty, he is seven years in the military. He is Army infantry, and he has a lot of military.
training that he brings to the table. He's also a prepper. We overlap a lot on homesteading and, you know, kind of resupply plans for food. But his expertise would be security. Yes. And groups of people working together so that people don't get hurt. We kind of use the L.A. riots as a, you know, the Korean storekeepers that all kind of work together. We're able to protect from being looted. It's just we recommend people. whether it's in a subdivision or in a city or a community, if something did happen, that they had a network that they could trust, the people that would work together so nobody would get hurt. There you go. Well, Scott, thank you very much for coming on. He has a website. It's practicalpreppers.com. He's the co-owner of that company, and he is prepping and is a member of the Prepper community. Thank you very much. We appreciate it, Scott. Thank you very much. Thank you. I had no idea. I mean, listen, a lot of us did not know that there was a whole prepper community of people that are just getting ready for apocalyptic times. Anything can happen kind of thing. Now, he was playing it real. Very cool. He was playing it really cool. But I'm telling you, I saw him on the show. They were legit. They were like not playing it cool. I was going to ask him if he gets mad if his kids dip into the. Oh.
You can't dip into the... You can't dip in. You're down there getting a fruit roll-up and your dad comes down and smacks you on the head. They ain't going to have fruit roll-ups. Yeah, they wouldn't keep something so silly. Homemade fruit roll-ups. Only if it's canned. Yes, canned fruit roll-ups. Let's see. Oh, boy. I think Nikki's here. Hey, come on in. Let's send her in. Let's talk to Nikki. She's the girl that's training L.O.B. That's right. And all the other ladies to dance. Come over to the... Come over to the microphone, Nikki. I'm going to have you on this mic right here. Hi. Hi. So, how are you? Good, how are you? Good. So, you're going to notice that Nikki has an accent. Where are you from? Originally, I'm from South Africa. South Africa. First question I asked her when I met her. Well, yeah, because you can hear the accent. Especially when I say dance. There you go. I love it. Now, you have a business. And the business is called Bitter Burlesque. A Bitter Burlesque. What do you do? What do you do? It's a burlesque dance company. We've been around for five years. And we have a bunch of really talented performers, including the two ladies I have over here. Yeah. Sassafras and Tara Tart. Sassafras and what? Sassafras and Tara Tart.
Tara Tart. Tara Tart. Yes. Tara Tart. How do you come up with the names? Everybody gets to decide their own names. Okay. We actually did the exercise with the ladies too. Yeah, I have a name too. I'm Daisy. She is Daisy. You're Taco. I'm Taco. Yeah. So everybody gets a chance to... Woods is Snuff. Yeah, right? Snuff. I love that. I love that. Snuff in the movies he watches. Yeah. Now, let me ask you. You've been doing this for five years, right? Can you turn any girl into a burlesque dancer? Pretty much. What I need is personality. That's all you really need is a personality. She said personality. She said all you need is a bit of personality. Now, Ella B., how's she doing? Oh, she's doing so incredible. I will tell you what. If she can turn me into a dancer, she can pretty much turn anyone into a dancer. Because I was a hopeless case. She had the great personality. I just gave it a little bit of structure. Mike, I think we'd be remiss. I think we'd be. Foolish and remiss. I know what he's going to say. Not to ask our friend Nikki from a bit of burlesque about a certain incident that went down last week, perhaps. Yes, and what we're talking about is... I told everybody on the air. Yes, that there was a meltdown that happened. Slight meltdown.
Slight meltdown. Big meltdown. A giant temper tantrum. L.O.B. started crying and stormed out. Stormed out first, cried later. Yes, stormed out. And have you seen this before? Have you ever seen this happen? Not really? Yeah, yeah. Oh, my God. I just knew she was going to be like, oh, yeah, it happens all the time. Let me say this much. She actually was really calm about it. She didn't storm out really at all. Well, no, by definition, she wasn't calm about it. No, no, no, no. I mean, I think it was the opposite of calm about it. I was trying to step away from the situation. That's exactly what she did. She did it very calmly. She just took a moment and walked out, and that was fine. There was no temper tantrum. There was no storming. Maybe there was crying later, but we didn't see any of that. So she handled it like a pro is what I would say. I cried when Raven hugged me. It's one of my favorite stories ever, ever, ever, ever. So tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow's a big day. It's a huge day. Yeah. You've taught these girls a choreographed dance. I have. They are doing so incredible. Three minutes long in under like two and a half weeks. Yeah.
Is that pretty good? It is amazing. I can tell you that Sassafras was at rehearsal on Sunday helping out, and she just is amazed by what they can do too. Wow. Sassafras, how long have you been doing this? Can we have Sassafras? Why Sassafras? Can you tell me in the microphone, right up to the mic? part of my personality. You can share the seat. Or you can pull another seat up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're just trying to get you guys, you guys can sit down. Yeah, you're allowed. How did you come up with that name, Sassafras? Well, it was definitely part of the name. It was, it kind of took on a lot of different ways. Nikki definitely helped it with being like a first and a last name. So it's really sassy first name, Frass last name. So, yeah, it's a lot of basically personality. It used to be a nickname of mine because I'm originally from Chicago and assassin pressed people a lot. So how did you find out about it? I actually found out through other friends of mine that had done burlesque, and then they said that there was an audition to go and do that. So Tara and I auditioned at the same day. You guys are buddies.
Is that how you met? Or did you meet dancing burlesque? We met dancing, yes. You met through dancing. Which is weird because that's where you and I met. That's how me, yeah. That's how you and I met. And it was 10 years ago. Yeah, 10 years ago in burlesque class. It's so weird. So you can speak to this because you've actually gone through it yourself. Are you now, you're here. The two of you are here. So I got to. I think you guys are pretty good at this. The burlesque. They're pretty good at this. I haven't seen Tara Tara, but I've seen Sass Frass, and she is amazing. You know what you're doing now. Now? Yeah, yeah. In the beginning, no? In the beginning, I would imagine I was just like L.O.B. No, I don't think anyone's as bad as I am. Not true, though. I can't wait. I cannot wait to see L.O.B. Doing this thing tomorrow. And everybody is welcome. It's free. You can get into House of Blues tomorrow. It's free. They're going to have food, drink. You can buy that. But Nikki has taught L.O.B. and 10 other girls how to dance this routine. We don't know what song. We don't know.
Anything. It's all been kept a secret. Yes. There's girls on there that have been professional dancers that are just so impressed with the routine. Really? They're impressed with the routine. So imagine my amazement and your amazement. Wow. Well, it's all happening tomorrow. And listen, if you have something going on, cancel it. Yes. For sure. If you don't have something going on, then there is no excuse. for you to not be there tomorrow. I'll see you in full force. Nikki, you offer, like, classes and workshops, too. I actually teach workshops for exactly the kind of things that we've been doing. Right into that. Exactly the kind of stuff that I'm doing with these ladies. I actually teach workshops on request. So somebody can get in touch with me and say, hey, I want to learn how to do dance with a boa or dance with a hat. That's what I want. My deal is boa. I can teach you how to dance with a boa. That's so your deal. Always has to. I see a red one for you. A red boa. No? What color? Purple. Yeah, I was going to say purple.
Purple. Very nice. I was going to say that. I've been doing my dance moves for my boyfriend, Matt Comers, and he's like, yeah, you're going to keep doing this after. He's like, I want you to be a dancer now. He's very impressed. Makes you feel sexy, right? For sure. Yeah. I was going to say, too, it's quite normal for a lot of emotions to come up when you're learning how to do this dance. And so it was really actually to allow yourself to be that vulnerable, to feel whatever the emotions are coming up is a huge part of this process. That's what I try to do on the air. So it makes a lot of courage to let yourself feel that and to express it through the tears. That makes me feel better. It is. It's a growth process. It truly is. And you become more empowered in it. And then you own your sensuality. It would be good for you in the woods. Yes. Another part of your feminine. expression. Yeah, Mikey, like I said, be good for you guys. He is a good friend and a lover. He is. That's part of the process is learning how to feel that and to be empowered by it. But not to just feel it, but to own it, to own it, to feel it, to explore it. Explore it. And to kind of...
And to stand in it. Stand in it? Yeah. To really stand in it. Feast on it. And feast on it, I think, is an important thing, too. So you're there, you're standing, you're feeling, you're feasting. Yeah, treating. A lot of things going on. Yeah. And then you get to keep it afterwards. Right. Oh, it's all yours. There you go. Tomorrow. I can't wait. 5.30 to 9. Tomorrow, L.O.B. and 10 girls dancing on stage at the House of Blues. You've got to be there. It's going to be great. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. You got the giggles. I got it so bad. Got the giggles. Oh, boy. Okay. All right. I'm good. I'm all good. And we have a funny topic that we're going into. So, I brought up in our meeting the other day, is there anything that you have talked to yourself about while no one was in the room? And have you... You guys are clowns. Nobody knows what you're laughing about. Shut up! You're laughing that Mikey looked like a Hirozuku girl. We were taking a picture, okay? And...
All of a sudden, L.O.B. goes, why don't we all pose? Burlesque style. Burlesque style. Yeah. I look down. I look down and there's a woman. And I had no idea, but she's like. she's bent over right next to me. And I didn't realize that. And by the time I did, I was like, oh my gosh. And I was very, you know, like, oh. And so I was embarrassed. I was embarrassed. You're a winner. And I said, you look like a Hiroshima girl. Yes. L.O.B. said that, and I go, are you sure that that's what they're called, L.O.B.? Yeah, uh-huh. I go, and she goes, yeah, you know, Hiroshima girl. And I said, no, no. And she said, no, I'm positive it is. And then Wood said, well, you might as well say Nagasaki girl. Right. And L.O.B. said, no, no, it's, and then you remembered what it was.
Hirajuku. Hirajuku. That's like the little Japanese look. Yes. Because you were giggling. I was genuinely giggling. I was genuinely giggling and it genuinely got everybody laughing. Sassafras is limber. That was the thing. I looked down and sassafras. Sassafras, sassafras, sassass was right in your face. Sassafras got sassy. And she was sort of encouraging, and I was like, no. I can't. I can't do that. No, no. No, no, no. I'm a married man, and, you know. I actually tried to give her a piggyback ride. You weirdo. Oh, my goodness. You guys are embarrassing me in front of my friends. I know. I'm sorry. This is why I don't have any friends. This is why she doesn't hang out with us. This is why you don't have us as friends. Exactly. We're not. We're going to embarrass us. There's no two ways. Literally, you can't take us somewhere. You can't. We're going to embarrass you because something dumb is going to be sad. That's what happens. You guys giggle about everything, and then you get each other going. It's embarrassing. And I'm the dirtbag. Jay behaves. I did. Is that the most I've got you? That is the hardest possibly that I've ever laughed. Oh, really? Possibly ever. Oh, L-O-B?
When I first started, I had snot and tears, and I farted. I was laughing so hard. He couldn't help it. And that made him laugh harder. I'm glad I missed it. I was laughing uncontrollably. Well, you know what? My head hurts. I'm glad that everybody got to be a part of it. We will talk about this when we come back, and that is, and we want you to call 5701949. Obama is going to stop us from making a bunch of change that we don't need because it's more expensive than it's worth. Did you know that it costs more to make a freaking penny than a penny? Gosh, that's so stupid. Costs 2.4 cents. And what does 0.4 cents mean? How do you get a 0.4? It's like an average. Oh, is it? It is? Yeah. Yeah, it's the average of what it costs. 2.4 cents.
To make a penny. And it costs 11.2 cents to make a nickel. So stupid. That's ridiculous. Just go to quarters. So Obama is going to ask for permission to change the mix of metals that goes into pennies and nickels. I don't know why we have pennies anymore. I don't think we need pennies. No. If our country were to adopt a system of going, well. We're not going to have something be 99 cents. Yeah. You know? We just have it be... Well, then nickels would be... Then it would be... What the hell do I need nickels for? I think we'd keep that. I wouldn't even need the nickels. Nickels and dimes, but pennies are so... I hate dimes. I hate dimes. They're so thin and small. Much like Jay's wiener. Where do you... You can't use pennies. Like the pennies won't go in meters. No, can't use them in a meter. You can't use them for like any candy machines. You can do penny slots at the casino. Yeah. That's probably what's keeping the penny in business. Not only that, but if you don't have a penny, people let you slide. Yeah. Give a penny, take a penny. That means that it's not worth very much because people let you slide. We throw them into a fountain and make a wish because they're that insignificant to us. Yeah. You don't see quarters in there. You don't see people going.
Well, you're a dollar short. That's fine. You're good. Yeah, you're okay. A penny. I oftentimes, if I'm supposed to get three cents back, I go, you can just keep the change. Yeah, throw it in that thing. Yeah. I do that, too. I don't need it. Have you ever had the D that gives you the 97 cents back, though? You ever had that guy? Because I do. I have him. It's a buck three, and I give him $2, and he gives me 97 cents back. Oh, boy. Suck it, dude. Give me the dollar. Oh, you want him to? Yeah, I want him to front me three pennies. Three cents. Yeah. He gives me 97 cents back. Oh, I believe that that has to happen. What if he let everyone slide that was 3 cents short? Oh, he'd be $4 short maybe. Well, what if you're that guy and you're working someplace and you do that for everybody? I did it when I was a cashier at a liquor store. You did? Yeah. So your till was... Yeah, I would, you know, and if it's a dollar at the end of the day, big deal. I used to come in with like 50 cents. I hated doing the... Really? So you would just take money out of your wallet? Yeah, throw a dollar in or something. Yeah. Oh, wow. It won't hurt anybody. Not when you're making minimum wage. Well, just, you know, it seems weird that you're...
It didn't happen all the time. It's on the house. It didn't happen all the time. That's what I'm saying. You act like every customer that comes in does it. They don't. It maybe happens three times a day. Every other customer. No, three times a day. You're a strange bird. I am not. It seems a little strange. I'm not going to count out 98 cents for somebody. Skin to win. Okay. Let's see. What have I not told you? At the end of the day, I usually have a couple things left over that I wanted to get out and didn't get a chance to. Like the electric cigarette that blew up in the guy's mouth. This thing apparently had a bad battery in it. So blew off his front teeth, chunk of his tongue. Holy smoke. Burned his face. He was puffing this thing Monday night. It blew up. He said the best analogy is it was like trying to hold a bottle rocket in your mouth and it went off. Oh, my God. He says the battery flew out of the tube and set the closet on fire. Oh, my God. Electric cigarette. The guy was trying to quit smoking and he was.
Smoking on one of those electric ones. Cigarettes are safer. Right. That would never happen with a real cigarette. Exactly right. In that case, yeah. In that case, yeah. Holy cow. That's something that would happen to wood. That's exactly something that would happen to me. L.O.B., this will make you crazy, but apparently the Jeremy Lin is, the Linning is continuing. Well, insanity. Why do we need a shtick for everything? New York Nick, Jeremy Lin. Now people are going on Facebook and they're linning. Now what does that mean? Well, they pay homage to Jeremy's like nerd roots. And in his pregame handshake, he cups his hands around his eyes like thick glasses. Oh, like he's looking through binoculars or something? Yeah, yeah. Linning, linning. Now people are doing that like they're looking through binoculars and they're linning. That can't be true. Yeah. That's a true story. Putting it on Facebook. What's wrong with people? Well, so much. Why do you guys need that? Phenom. You don't have enough to do? I got plenty to do, but I'm in on Phenom. He's a Phenom. You in on linning? The bat phone. He calls it secret phone. I don't really have that. So you guys can't just make things up. Well, you call it your SP. My SP. Your secret phone. Oh, he's mad. He's so mad. He's so mad.
