Wednesday 2/17/2010
News about Merriman Vs. Tila Tequila starts the day which leads to talk about facebook lovers and bookface haters. Mikey tells of his amusing trials to find a good suit for Si’s wedding that fits his frame. 46 year old Jay’s ultra coolness prompts Woods to say “Grow up Peter Pan”. Woods reports UFC owner Dan White is not down with 50 year old Herchel Walker fighting. In the Things You Learned Wrong bit Lauren says for the longest time she thought Rhode Island was a real island. The biggest thing of the day hits next, the Family Guy/Sarah Palin story where FG made fun of people with Downs Syndrome. This caused quite an informing serious discussion on what’s funny and what’s not ending with a great analogy by Mikey drawing an analytical comparison with Palin and President Obama. Boob Jobs, yay or nay? Sign spinner Corbin calls in to school us on that fine curbside skill. The weekly cast review of Valentines Day movie creates a new rating system and the results upset Sienna. Mikey then reads an email about whether or not it’s cool to drop an F-bomb in front of your spouse’s parents and Party Girl Jenny slurs out some great advice. Sienna then rats out Lauren’s behavior at the KBZT office party. Mikey’s mother in-law calls in on the topic of calling in laws mom and dad. Adam Lambert stops his show to yell at a girl on her cell phone. Justin Timberlake stops by to tell us how dope he is. Mikey closes the show discussing “farty girls” which are chicks you don’t want to use the bathroom after.

Later, the team debated cargo shorts, reacted to a Family Guy sketch mocking Sarah Palin's son with Down syndrome, celebrated Herschel Walker's MMA victory, and gave a mixed review of the film Valentine's Day.

KBCT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Hello. It's Wednesday. It's Wednesday. It's called Hump Day. They call it Hump Day. I don't know why. I know. You do? Yeah. They call it Hump Day because it's midweek, you're over the hump. You don't know why? No. Some people, man. Some people... My old news girl used to think it's because people actually make love on Wednesday. It's a big day to make love. You know what I mean? So that means there's different, there are varying opinions out there. You know what? Not that you can't make love on hump day. That's true. You can make love on hump day. You know, it's just some people, I guess, think it's an order. Make love. You have to. To make love. And you don't necessarily, that's not the deal.
Welcome to the program, everybody. It's the Mikey Show. And open phones for you, 570-1949. And we would love to talk to you. So you can give us a call right now. And you can also text messages. The text is 949mikey at gmail.com. And Sienna's got on her 949 FM 94.9 sweatshirt today. I love this thing. It's a handsome sweatshirt. They are. They're comfy. I sleep in mine. It's comfortable, right? It's warm. Mm-hmm. Man, we got a lot of stuff to tell you about Merriman. We got the Merriman thing to tell you about. I'm going to tell you how King Tut died. Actually, Sienna's going to tell us. I don't even know, but she's got the story. And then have you heard about the chick from San Diego that wants health care so bad? She says she's willing to marry somebody for it and now is kind of reneging on that. Yeah. So we'll tell you all about that, too. Make sure that you check out MikeyShow.com because if you do, you can check us out on a webcam. We all have webcams going on. So you can go there and check that out. It's really cool. 570-1949. Call us right now. Beginning and end of every show, you can call us and we'd love to talk to you. So get in here. Those are the topics that are out there. Sarah Palin thing is a big story. She's responded to the family guy for taking a jab at her.
Because she has a daughter. Is it a daughter or a son? Son. Son with Down syndrome. And yeah, the family guy did something with that. She's responded to it. Everything's open for grabs right now. You can call about anything you want to. And then later on in the show also, we're going to be reviewing the movie Valentine's Day. Yeah. Which we saw yesterday in theaters right here in San Diego amongst others. For almost the first time. Because usually when we go to the movie, there's no one in there. Because I picked the good ones. Yeah, you picked one that was popular. It's like the number one movie at the box office right now. And everyone's in it. I think my parents may be. I saw your dad in there. Yeah, he's in there, I'm sure, at some point. And so, anyway, 570-194-949-949-mikey at gmail.com. If you want to text us, we will take either one. Sean Merriman was actually suing. Tealer Tequila. Now, if you didn't know, Tealer Tequila accused Merriman of assault. They went out one night. They got drunk. A bunch of people went back to Merriman's place, and the DA dropped the charges. He looked at it and went...
That happened back in September. They were partying at Merriman's house, and apparently Tila Tequila had a little too much to drink. Sean Merriman tried to stop her from leaving the house, and she said he was getting rough with her. So she filed a lawsuit. The DA dropped the charges. However, and that was back in September. This past December, Merriman's like, dude, I'm not going to just take that. So he filed a copyright and trademark infringement lawsuit against Tila Tequila because she on her website was using Lights Out and all this, his trademark things. And probably in a very negative way. Oh, of course. Obviously, because she's on a rampage against them. So they just finally went to court and all the charges were dropped. Really? The attorneys for both of them wouldn't go into detail. They said that the situation was amicably resolved. That's good. So good that it's over with. So they don't want it around. Yeah, absolutely. By the way, an M1 is a Mikey Show listener. Listens for long periods of time. When you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, don't cuss. That's what an M1 is.
It's an exclusive Mikey Show listener. You love the Mikey Show. You're passionate about the Mikey Show. You believe in what the Mikey Show is all about. The Mikey Show makes you laugh and you dig it. And if you are an M1, you're a part of the M1 Nation, which is an exclusive group of people that love this radio program. And so hopefully that's you. And one of the things that we're going to be doing is just grassroots campaigning and getting the word out by you getting the word out however you can. Go to the Facebook Mikey Show fan page and get on that if you're into adding stuff to your Facebook like the fan page. And I'll be honest with you, not everyone is. I mean, some people are. The strangest part of it for me is that I'm not really the guy that likes to become fans of different things, although some things I do. Like some things I will see as a cause that I'm like, yeah, I want to get behind that because I believe in that. Does that make sense? Yes. You're really picky when it comes to who you're a fan of. Extremely picky. So am I. When it comes to what I'm a fan of and what I want to get behind and all that stuff. But once I do find something that I'm really into, I'm all over it. Because you want the updates and stuff. If you're not an actual fan of something, you get inundated with updates. Yeah. I don't like that. And, man, lately...
It seems like everybody and their brother say they have something to complain about with the Facebook. I love Facebook, by the way. Me too. Me too. I love the Facebook. The Facebook. But there are some people that just have an issue with it. And for those people, I dedicate this song to you. Please enjoy from the bottom of my heart. Is that sounding weird in your headphones? CJ Thomas. One. On the right. I don't either. I don't want to present it until it's right. I think I know why. Why? It has to do with the editing. Loading it in? It's not loaded in. Oh. It's straight from my computer. Well then, I don't know why. It's weird, right? They didn't do it right on the computer then. Here, let me test out another song that's really good. Nope. Yeah, same thing. It's so weird. Is your thing plugged in all the way? It's probably something to do with the board. Really? Yeah. Push it in all the way. That's...
Probably one of those levels of high. Here comes Jay to the rescue. He's got his duct tape and a knife. Yeah. That's it. And a coconut. And a coconut. A half of a coconut. Here. Plugged in here. Here, here, here. Yeah, the that one. That's got to be on? No, I would think, yeah, one of those, or else the one next to you. So what? No. How you doing, love? Oh. Pretty good. It's good to see you. You look lovely this morning. I don't think it's like one of those. I look very Texan today, don't I? You do. Very Western. Yeah, I got yogurt on my shirt. Is it weird that I remember when was the first time I met you, you were wearing that shirt? No, I wasn't. I was wearing my brother's blue Pearl Snap shirt. What's up, dude? Is it just like that? It's exactly like that. It's Pearl Snap. Kid likes the Pearl Snaps. That's right. Please don't rip off your shirt. He just unsnapped his shirt. I'm on webcam, too. Oh, wow, Woodsy. Wow. All of a sudden, I looked up, and I saw Wood's bare chest. You saw my breasts. Hey, Mardi Gras. That's Mardi Gras. I do not shave my chest. I don't have any hair. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 39 years of age. Woodsy is our sports guy, and he is 34.
And his wife is coming into town soon, right? My wife, Jamie, will be here tomorrow. Nice. She's bringing two of our dogs. Very excited. Very excited. You got the little ones? Yeah. Little teacups? Yeah, Penny Bell and Lucky are making the trip. There you go. And Lauren O'Brien, she is 29 years old. Yes, I am. Her birthday is the day before my wife's on December 2nd. And it seems like everybody on the show, their birthdays are like a day before people that I know. My mom's birthday is April 4th. Sienna's birthday is April 3rd. How do you like that? I like that you remembered. Yeah, of course. It's easy to remember that way. Yeah. Sienna is 24 years old, getting married in a matter of days. Ten days. Ten days. Oh, my goodness. And I may be stressing out more than you. I know, right? Trust me. Every day once I leave here, it's meeting after meeting after appointment after the post office, and it's just, ah. I got the most humiliating message on my voicemail yesterday. What? Well, I went to get a suit, you know, for your wedding. Yeah. And I got a phone call. And when I was there to get the suit, right, they were like trying the jackets on me and I wear like a 44 small. Yeah. Because I'm tiny. You are not that tiny. I don't understand. And so the girl goes, well, we don't have.
that size but i'll call around to the other stores and i'll you know i'll just have it brought here and i'm like okay so i get a call from her yesterday and she goes yeah um well i called all the other stores and they don't have that size anywhere at one of our stores here in san diego and so um and i'm just like and and i'm listening to it privately I'm listening privately to the voicemail. There's no one in the room. There's no one around me. And as I'm listening to it privately, my face turns red. Listening to it by myself. Why? Yeah, I've been there. I'm mortified hearing a message by myself that no one else can hear. And she goes. So, you know, I could call a couple of our stores, you know, from out of town. And now my face is, like, purple. We have some stores and chains in other countries. Yeah, maybe we should consult, like, the Philippines or Japan. Find out where Tattoo Shop. Yeah, exactly. I have a jacket that I could learn to you, Mikey. I don't think that's going to fit. Yeah, Tattoo. Might be a little big. Tattoo. Tattoo. Yours is too big for me. No, it isn't.
Boss. Oh, I'm boss now? I'll call you boss. Boss, I have a dragon that will feed you because I am a little person. So, she's now got a... Or she goes, but we do have a couple in gray. You know, we have a couple in gray. Grace is really nice. And I'm like... I now have to switch colors because, you know. Like a light gray with, like, a blue shirt? It's money. Have you bought anything else? Like, you don't have the shirt or the pants already? No. Well, then go with the gray. Go with the gray. Gray's sharp, dude. It's universal. I like that. Should I go with gray? Just let the kid go with you. I'm going to go with the gray. Just bring the kid with you. Yeah. Really? Yes. Yeah, but what can you do about my size? Nothing, but we can find something in your size that looks good. Like a cool shirt that goes with it. Belt, shoes, the whole bit. Because you're not wearing your suede orthopedic shoes. You're just not. You got to have some nice little. Yeah. We'll get you. Those are lugs, bro. Those are cool. Lugs. Lugs are cool. Are they? They're cool for Mike. They're not cool. Are you saying they're not? No, do you. Let me see. You can't wear those. I don't even know what lugs are. Lugs are rad. You can't wear those to the wedding. Uggs. No, yeah. They don't. They don't. They don't. They don't fit. They don't? No. Fine. Can't wear those in a suit. I'll take you. Let's just go.
I can actually see Mikey's heart breaking through his chest. Here, I'm going to show you what lugs are. L-U-G-Z. Look at those. Those are cool, different shoes. That's yours. Third one down, third row. Do you have to do it with that face, Lauren? Because I know that face of yours. They're platforms. That's a judgment face? They're suede platforms. You're like, hey. strange guy. Hey, little guy. Hey, little guy. Hey, little guy. Let's go great with your chain wallet. Yes. Boss, I'm not kidding you, man. I wouldn't even wear those. And I had to wear the same suit on Fantasy Island every day. That's true. And I wouldn't even wear that. Yeah, you would. Yeah, you would, Tattoo. Why would you not wear it? Because it looks like orthotics, boss.
It doesn't. Woods says that. I don't know why. It doesn't even look like orthotics. It'll add a few inches. They're orthotics. I think George Costanza had those. Oh, really? Yeah. The Timberlands? Yeah. Timberlands. And then Jay is our producer. He is 46 years of age. Very healthy. Very healthy person. Can we say what he's wearing today? Yes. Bring it. Here we go. He's rocking the cargo shorts. It's actually the trifecta today. Much more than that. What's the trifecta, Jay? I have the cargo shorts on that are camo, and they're also frayed at the bottom. And I bought them that way. They came frayed. Amazing. I think they look awesome. I love them. Come in here, Jay. Excuse me. I got... Oh, he's showing them off on the camera. They look great. He actually kind of rocks him, right? He does. Lauren and I got an email from your wife, Rebecca. He looks rad. Yeah, he looks amazing. I don't like the Frayed. Yeah, everything but the Frayed. I love the Frayed. They're a really good band. Yeah, is that the name of a band? Yeah. The Frayed. What's the matter with his shorts, you guys? They're Frayed. They're cargo. They're genius.
everything but the frayed. Because that camo print is actually kind of cool. The thing is, Jay can just like, he's one of those guys that can just pull anything off. He's also wearing it with a bright yellow shirt, you know? Like, who else can do that? I actually had to check the shirt out with my wife. I said, hey, is this shirt too much? She's like, no, it's perfect. She's like, I'm sleeping. Get out. He's got his independent hoodie on, too, in the other room. Yeah, Jay's cool. Grow up, Peter Pan. Lauren and I got an email from your wife, Rebecca, yesterday. And it said, even Jake knows that cargo shorts are out. And it was a picture of Jake wearing plaid shorts. Jake, your three-year-old son. Yeah. Whatever. With a better fashion sense than you. Yep. I would be okay with it if whatever's taken its place is something I could rock. I'll help you. Did you go check out my blog? Because I put lots of shorts that I like up there. Go to MikeyShow.com. Go to Sienna's blog. Go to Sienna's blog. Here we go. Hey, listen. If you're just tuning in for the first time, we announced it the other day to all dudes listening. Chicks think our cargo shorts are out.
Chicks say cargo shorts work on a guy that goes, if he's mountain biking. Hiking. Hiking. Construction. Eating granola. And it's 1995. Can't wear him to a ball game, though. No, you're a dork if you do. Can't wear him to a ball game. That's for sure. Maybe. Maybe a ball game. Cargo shorts aren't like a fit. I don't wear them to dinner. I wouldn't wear them to Pamplemousse. I would hope not. Sienna, I think Lauren's on the fence about cargo shorts. I think she is, too. That's fine. Because Matt's back in on him. Matt is her boyfriend. No, he never left on him. Yeah, you made him leave on him. Yeah, you did. Well, his are particularly bad. Well, he took regular cargo pants. No, no, he didn't. He turned them into shorts. I thought that he did. They're actually just that old that they're frayed on the bottom, and they're missing buttons, and, like, they're just all around. Do I have to copy and paste these into a browser? You just click on them. No, they're not clicking. Well, then, I don't know. I'm not computer savvy. We know this. Okay, let's see. But can I say one thing? Is that cargo pants.
are absolutely 1,000% done with. Done. Never again. So why are cargo pants okay with them? I don't know. Not okay, but cargo shorts are. You're right. They look weird. They look way weird. I don't know if they were ever in. These are perfect for fat guys like myself. These little slim. Just admit it. Cargo shorts are your skinny shorts. 100%. I look good in them. That's why I wear them. I'm not an idiot. And that's okay. If that's your reason, it's okay because everyone's allowed to have a fat day where they put on something. San Diego Chester. shorts. They're like painted on. You can see my piece in them. It's no good. Maybe that's why girls like them. And you're being inappropriate. Of course he is. It's woodsy. I couldn't do it. Hey Sienna, how did King Tut die? For those of you who don't know who King Tut is. For those of you that don't know who King Tut is. He became pharaoh at the age of 10 in 1333 B.C. He died at the age of 19 years old. He had a cleft palate and club foot, which is why he had a cane at the age of 19. But no one knew why he died. It was such a young age. It was crazy. So they've been doing DNA tests and cat scans. That's awesome.
Family members that they found of him and just doing all kinds of stuff. And they found out that he died from complications from a broken leg, exacerbated by malaria. Or exacerbated. Exacerbated. Either way, you know, potatoes. He was excavated. I can't believe they can take that out. That's awesome, dude. I love that stuff. Yeah. Broken leg? He died of a broken leg? Mm-hmm. Dan Green or something. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, back then. He wasn't rubbing honey and ginger all over it to make it feel better. Did Jay decide that you could put a potato on there and make that better? Well, there it is, ladies and gentlemen. Now we know. Fascinating. You hear about the San Diego chick that needs health care so bad that she said she was willing to marry a guy for health care. Yeah. She has a condition called C4. It's complement deficiency. So, you know, she's constantly in and out of the hospital. She needs to get a lot of doctor's care. But it's not like a life-threatening disease. It's just something that needs attention. So I'm going to show you a little picture of this girl first. Let's see her. Let's see her. And tell me what you guys think. I'm in. 100%. Oh, she's really cute. She's cute. Blonde. She's 45, a divorced mom. Yeah, she's real cute. Blonde hair, shoulder length. Yeah, she's very cute. So she made this known throughout the world saying, look.
For health insurance, if you have health insurance and you're a man, I will marry you because I'm tired of I've been spending so much money. I can't live like this. Right. So she got over 10,000 responses from men throughout the country. And they said, yes, absolutely. Some of them had marriage proposals. Some of them said, you know, let's date. Let's go on a date. Let's see how it is. And since she's gotten this quick response over the last few weeks, she's just said that, you know, I think I'm going to hold off for a little bit. I should be able to find love, too. So maybe I'm just going to go on a few dates. And also, I was offered a reality TV deal that I may want to be doing. Of course. And they want to follow me and my adventures of all of this. So sorry, guys. I don't. I don't. I love it. I don't. Hey, those guys should be happy. You don't want to marry a girl. You don't know her. You just look at her and you go, oh, she's good looking. I'm going to marry her. What a mess. Her name's Terry Carlson from San Diego. You don't want to just marry Terry Carlson just because she's cute, guys. No, you don't. I think they might want to. I think a lot of them did. I wonder if she's an M1. Yeah, maybe she's an M1. We can get her on the air. Terry, call us. Speaking of that, guess who Jay is going to get on the air? Who? Uh-oh.
Remember the other day, it was late in the show, so maybe a lot of people missed this, but yesterday we were talking about some of the dangers of going to Mexico. Yeah. Yes. And I talked about how I saw a TV show called 48 Hours Live to Tell. Now, that is a great show. You've never seen that show. It's a great show. It tells all these really compelling stories about people that have been through situations that they shouldn't have lived through but did. You didn't talk about that. No, I don't think you did. All of us are looking at you like, oh? You know why you don't think I did? Because I probably called it the wrong name. Instead of calling it Live to Tell, I called it I Shouldn't Be Alive, which is another show. Oh, you did. It's another show. I Shouldn't Be Alive is a completely different show. But this one is 48 Hours Live to Tell. And they take these stories, people that shouldn't have survived something or that they did live to tell the story. And this was one of them. They went down to Mexico, were pulled over. by the federales. They were taken hostage. They were kidnapped and lived to tell about the situation. Well, one of the girls that was in this family was also alive and at Santana High School the day that the shootings happened at Santana High. So not only did she live through that, years later, lived through this harrowing experience in Mexico. She's an M1.
Wow. You're kidding me. She's a part of the M1 Nation and emailed us. And Jay, our producer, is going to work on getting her on the air. Really, really compelling story. That's awesome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I love those live-to-tell stories. And so hopefully we'll have her on the air. M1 Will is part of the M1 Nation. Go ahead, Will. What's up, Mikey? What's going on, dude? Nothing, man. Hey, you guys always talk about pample moose. How do you spell that? Pample Moose has an interesting spelling. P-A-M-P-A-L-M-O-U-S-S-E. Yeah, it's with an A. P-A-M-P-A-L. Hold on, dude. Cool. And it's a Pample Moose grill. Are you on their official website? I am. It's an E, not the A. It's P-A-M-P-L-E-M-O-U. S-S-E. Is it pgrill with an E dot com? Yeah, Pamplum is grill-y. G-R-I-L-L-E. Yeah. Grill-y? Yes, grill-y. I love when they throw E's on the end of stuff. That's the easiest way to find it online. Cool. Thank you, brother. My anniversary. I appreciate it. Awesome, dude. I need to call them because I'm going tomorrow night. You are? Yep. You're taking your watch, James? I am. Sweet. Now, check this out. I love that song. Herschel Walker got into MMA.
And he won his first fight. He did. I don't know who they put him up against, but he won his first fight. It was me. He fought you. Now, is he going to be in the UFC? Want you to know that you can go to FM 94.9 SD.com. They got some cool stuff there, man, where you can get in on concerts.
before they even come out. You can get an early pre-sale on some of that stuff. Be a 949 Insider. That's right. And I also want to let you know that you can be an M1. M1 is Mikey Show listener. And if you're an M1, you're a part of the M1 Nation. And we are a group of people that have come together that are all about the Mikey Show. And so if that's you, you are an M1. There is no official registration to it. What an M1 means is that when you call into the Mikey Show, you turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. You know the rules. Those are the rules. You listen exclusively to the Mikey Show. You listen for long periods of time. Why? Because we don't do the repeat thing. All our stuff is fresh. We got more ideas than Mapple. Is that what I'm saying?
It's hard to do. It's hard to do. It's hard to have more ideas than Mapple, but we do. All right, Woodsy, so Herschel Walker decides that he wants to be an MMA guy at the age of 175 years old. He's actually only 50, but, you know, he did get involved in mixed martial arts. Right. And he went, and he had a fight, and he won. Right. But UFC president Dana White is none too pleased. Right. We got some audio of Mr. White. Which one is it? It's the one that says Dana White. I don't have it here. Weird. I don't have it. It's in there. I'm looking at it. Really? Yeah. Is it this refresh thing? Do I have to hit something? I don't know, man. Where's McGruber? McGruber to the rescue. I'm looking at it. I'm still trying to figure this stuff out, man. I know, dude. Me too. I'm still trying to figure it out. It is so different compared to where we were before. I mean, it's 100% a different system. Yeah. And I'm telling you, man. Is it up there?
Yeah, it is now. Boom. I'm telling you, I think I have it figured out, and then I don't. UFC president Dana White. And then the whole Herschel Walker thing, man. I mean, listen, I give the guy the props. He's almost 50 years old, and he's still in great shape. And he went out and trained in mixed martial arts and came out and had a fight. You know, he beat a guy who had no athletic ability, no stand-up, no ground. But on the flip side, Herschel Walker's 50 years old. I just, you know. It's a cool little fun hobby. You know what makes me crazy is the media attention you got. ESPN will cover Herschel Walker fighting when you got guys like George St. Pierre, Anderson Silva, Brock Lesnar, BJ Penn. You know, all these great athletes that have been training for years and are the best in the sport. You know, and talking about Herschel Walker. I think he's 100% right. I do, too. But, I mean, obviously, Herschel Walker and, you know, a clown like Jose Canseco, they're going to have some cachet. And a lot of that is to probably see him get beat up. I mean, wouldn't you love to see Jose Canseco get beat up? Yeah, and you might get an older audience watching. And, you know, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. But like you said, he's very protective over his sport. And he, you know, he wants the pure fighters.
And he knows that those guys are great, man. GSP is a physical specimen. Those dudes that he's talking about that are at the top of the UFC game, those dudes are awesome. They would kill Herschel Walker. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He couldn't. There's no way. He couldn't hang. I just can't get over what a deep voice Dana has. Yeah, he's got a really sexy voice, right? He better for a dude named Dana. That's right. Yeah. Dude, let me tell you. When we were raising money last year for Rady Children's Hospital, Dana called in. He goes, hey, man. He goes, I was just checking out your website. I saw how much money you guys have. He goes, I'm going to give you three grand right now. That's awesome. Just pow, threw it down. Just like that. Just like that. He's a good dude. Also, Mikey, the Winter Olympics are going on. You ready for your daily medal count? Yeah. Are we still in the lead? Where are we? We are not. No. Germany? The Germans are beating us by one, and the French are right behind with seven. So it's nine for the Germans, eight for the U.S., and seven for France. And Canada? Nipping at their heels with five. Really? But today's also going to be a really, really big day in the Winter Olympics. Tomato. Yeah. The Flying Tomato Zeppelin will go today. The Men's Half Pipe Qualifier is at 1.05 p.m. All these times are Pacific times.
The semis are at 515, and the finals are at 715 tonight. Nice. So, actually, I think I'm going to watch all three. Yeah. Well, I mean, if I get to see Flying Tomato, I'm in. Yeah. And then the women's downhill with Lindsey Vonn is at 11 a.m., so as soon as we get out of here, we can go check that out. Also, the Lakers have won their fourth straight without Kobe, which is crazy because he's the player of the decade, and he's not even playing, and they're still schooling people. So watch for them to repeat this year. I've got some audio of George Carl, Mike. If you hadn't heard the story, George Carl, the coach of the Nuggets, has been diagnosed with throat cancer. And he is, they're saying it's treatable, but he's obviously very nervous and there's some emotional, emotional audio. No emotional audio. MacGruber? Nah, we'll get it later. Okay, we'll get it later. I gotta figure it out. Okay. The U.S. has beaten Switzerland 3-1 in men's hockey. And then one of your old favorites, Seabass, Sebastian Janikowski, is now the highest paid kicker. Are you kidding me? In the NFL. You know how much money that dude's going to make for a kicker? How much? $16 million for four years. Are you kidding me? Yep. So $4 million a year? $4 million a year. In the NFL, it's not all guaranteed. He is guaranteed $9 million, though, over the next four years for kicking field goals and extra points. That is gnarly.
That is awesome. There's two things that have been driving me nuts. One of them is trying to figure out how to do the audio thing here. Yeah, because I'm looking at it right there. I can see it. It's not here. That's so weird. The other one is my stupid America Online, or as my dad would call it, American Online. Do your parents call things what they're not? Yes. They do? Mm-hmm. This is American Online. He calls... Stater Brothers, Statler Brothers. Isn't there a Statler Brothers somewhere, though? They're a musical group. I knew I heard it somewhere. If it doesn't sound right in his head, call it something that he thinks it is. I love it. You guys mess stuff up like that all the time? Like what? What do you guys have? Jay said something the other day. What? What were we talking about? We were talking about something with Alzheimer's. And he said... Alzheimer's. It's Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's. You thought it was Alzheimer's? I did. Oh, I didn't know. Which is so crazy. Coming from Jay, 46 years old, entire life, Alzheimer's. Alzheimer's disease. Alzheimer's? No, it's A-L-Z. Yeah, he thought the Z was pronounced with a T. Alzheimer's. Did you do any other ones? Oh my gosh, yes. Kim actually fixed me. She used to say clift. Yeah. I fell off a clift. Yeah. Giraffe.
Oh, Jay. I was young. I'm from Texas. I'm from Texas, too, dude. You're obviously from a different side of the tracks. From Dallas. That's right. I drove my wife crazy because I would say somebody stole something. Stole it. They stole it. That's like something your son would say. That still sounds right to me, though. Stole. Stole? Stole. Still sounds right to me, even this moment. You're on the radio, Mike. You've got to drop that. Shocking. If somebody came in and took that stapler that's sitting right next to me and I came back in and it was gone, I would go, somebody stole that stapler. Shocking. And that's wrong. It's stole, right? Yes. Somebody stole or it was stolen. See, that sounds wrong to me. It's not wrong. It's right. They used to say in the East Coast, running across the street. They still do say that on the East Coast. Mm-hmm. Drove me nuts. I got a cousin that calls pictures, pictures, pictures. Pictures. A lot of people say that. Like a picture of beer or a picture frame. Yeah, a picture. Mm-hmm. I have a friend that says bagel instead of bagel. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. That's like an East Coast thing. No, she's from here. That would drive me nuts. She's like, oh, can I get a bagel with cream cheese? I'm like, what? Is she joking? Is she joking, though? She's dead serious? She said it forever. The British don't call it basil basil. They call it basil. Basil. Yeah. And garage.
The garage. Yeah. My mom still says my face instead of my face. No way. She cannot get it right. She can't get my space. I'm actually more surprised if my mom does get something. Like if she makes a pop culture reference and she gets it right. Yeah. I'm like, wow. I was on that my face last night. Oh, yeah. Even though I've made a joke about it and she's seen the joke that I've made about it on YouTube. It's like. What is it? What is it again? The my face or the face. Yeah, what did she do? She said that she wanted to get a MyFace account. Right, right. She was asking you about it. Yeah, and she said, you know, I had someone at work that was telling me about it, and people look at pictures of you, and then they want to tag team you or something like that. I'm like, what website is that, Mom? Oh, see, my mom's like. You're like, Mom, don't tell anybody else that they're going to tag team you. Don't tell anyone else that. That's a whole different ballgame. My mom brags about how she tweets and stuff. I tweeted today. So she gets it and she says it right? She gets it. Not my parents. I'm very proud of my mom. She listens to us on her iPhone with her 94.9 app. Amazing. I know. She was in her hospital bed the other day listening.
How did the surgery go? Surgery went well. Mama Woods is doing very well. That's awesome. Miss you. Love you, Mom. What was the surgery for? Her bladder had fallen. It's a weird thing. It's happened a few times with her. And they had finally, the last surgery was like 45 minutes and they fixed it and then it fell. And this was like four hours. They cut her from hip to hip. So the recovery time is going to be a little longer, but she's doing well. Is that the thing that you were talking to me about where, and people can relate to this, where... You have a surgery and they tell you, take it easy. Yes. My wife is the same as your mom. Drives me nuts. They say, if they say to my wife, you know, four weeks, don't do anything, blah, blah, blah. She's like, I'm sure that means two weeks. And then I can start lifting suitcases. And my kids. And my kids. Yeah. My mom will be back to work probably in two weeks. I mean, that's just what she does. She's always been that way, which kills me. M1 Herald has one. Go ahead. Hey, I'm like the sixth. I'm a member of the show, man. That's right. But I got to meet my daily quota. What is it, two or three a day now? That's right, man. Yeah, my mom calls washcloths washcloths. Oh, yeah. That's a Texas thing. That's a Texas thing. No, it's, I think, a couple regions. Oh, really? Really? Warsh. Warsh. I'm going to wash your clothes. My grandma's from Texas. She says, I was driving the BMW. W. W. Yeah, BMW. She doesn't have a BMW, but. 5701949.
If you have any of those that your parents mess up, that you mess up, or even that you thought it was. I have something embarrassing. What? Up until about maybe two years ago, I thought Rhode Island was an actual island. And I'm from New Jersey. Really? Like right down the street. Yeah. And the reason that I found out is because I took a train from Philadelphia to Boston. And one of the stops, it went through Providence. Yeah. And... Lauren's like, how can I get onto the island? This is even more embarrassing, though. On the stop, I was like, wow, those train tracks must go across the water. Oh, Lord. Wow. And then I realized that's not possible. So once I got to Boston, I brought up to my friends, did you guys know that Rhode Island's not an actual island? Yes, Lauren, we've known that since third grade. Everybody knows that.
Classic. You guys, do you have any, Sienna, that you thought it was this and it wasn't? Well, when I was little and stuff, I remember being on the freeway and always thinking the carpool lane was for moms driving carpool only. You had to have soccer cleats in the back seat in order to get in that lane. My dad thought that you drive in the HIV lane when you have more than one person in your car. We were driving. You can drive in the HIV lane. I said, Dad, I don't think you want to drive in that lane, first of all. Second of all, that's not what it's called. It's the HOV lane, Dad. And he goes, oh. Let's see. M1 John, what was yours? You know, I call them, it drives my wife nuts. I call them underwears. Underwears. You're underwears. Yeah. That is not correct. I have a duty. Underwears? And, you know, with the HOV line, it's funny. My dad used to think you had to be over 18 in the car to be in the HOV line. So if the kids were in the car in the back, you wouldn't take them in the lane because they weren't over 18. Oh, my gosh. That's so great. Yeah. How about irregardless? Irregardless kills me. It's not a word, is it? It's not a word. It's regardless. It's regardless. I told you I worked with a guy that used to say, he used to say.
Forbatim. Instead of verbatim, he used to say, listen, the guy said that forbatim. I used to fall out of my chair. You're like, well, who's batim? Why do you say it for him? Why is he speaking forbatim? I have a feeling I do that all the time and nobody calls me on it. Really? I think I say forbatim now. As a joke, we've done it so long. Oh, dude, this one I've heard a lot. M1, M80, what up? Are you there, M1M80? Especially. Oh, gosh. Especially. That slays me, too. Especially. Especially. Especially. The X is added. And people that say, oh, it happened instantaneously. Well, instantly suffices. Instantaneously. Combusted. I love it.
Thank you, M1M80. That was a good one. Instantaneously is a word, though. That's a word. You can use it. It's a word. It is? Yeah, instantaneously. But I agree with him. Instantly will suffice. Instantly works fine, yeah. M1 Bill. Hey, what's happening? Which one you got? I got the pillow and palo. We call it palo instead of pillow. Palo. I've heard a lot of people say palo. Where's my palo? Jamie says pilo. Palo. Jamie, my wife, says pilo. She does? Yes. People say pilo. My pilo. M1 Adam. Yeah, I got one for you. My wife's full-on Pennsylvania Dutch from East Coast, obviously, and she doesn't see the difference between a pool or to pull something or to dance on a pole. They're all one word. It's pole. It's pole. Whether you're pulling it or whether you're going to a swimming pool, it's a pole. It's awful. My fiance's from Pennsylvania, too, and it's like, not a creek, it's a crick. And it's not a wolf, it's a woof. It's like, ugh. I do that. Lauren got me a woof the other day. I did a little woof. There are people that say Missouri instead of Missouri. That drives me. What is it? Missouri. Batty. Batty. Is it Missouri or Missouri? Depends on where you're from. It's Missouri. Missouri. Even people from that state disagree on what you're supposed to say.
Let's see. 570-1949. 570-1949 is our number. And if you'd like to text in something, you can do that too. 949mikey at gmail.com is how you get a hold of us. And yeah, sometimes people get a little messed up with how they're saying it. My dad is a king of it. He does it. American Online, Statler Brothers. bunch of them, though. He does a bunch of them. Yeah, I wish I could think of more than my parents do. My dad says Charlie instead of Charlie. I don't know what that is. That's like dialect, though, maybe. Charlie. Charlie. Charlie bit me. Let's see. M1D, are you there? I'm here. What is yours? My mom always says sandwich. Sandwich. Yes. Sandwich. And then her mom, which is my grandmother. Always says, you cherape. You cherape? Yep. You shut up. Instead of you shut up? Yep. I like that. You shut up, bae! You shut up, bae! You shut up, bae! It's a bigger story that somebody's saying to somebody, you shut up. No kidding. You shut up, bae. The cherape. The cherape. The cherape. I'm one Giants fan. What's going on, Mikey? Not too much.
My cousin, okay, he's 30 years old, and his entire life he is called barbed wire, barbed wire. Oh, dude. Barbed wire. Kryptonite. Yeah, it was me nuts. Barbed wire. Barbed wire, yeah, apparently it's his friend. 570-1949. We're getting a few barbed wires and barbed wire. It's actually barbed. Yeah, barbed wire. Barbed wire, yeah. I thought it was barbed wire. You did? Yeah. Barbed wire. Like my friend Barbed Dwyer. That doesn't make any sense, but I'll go with it. 570-1949. Tom Tom lady, you never screw up words. That's what I like about you. You're programmed in a way that you're not going to mess it up. I know how to enunciate, Mikey. Thank you very much. I like that you do it that way. Yeah, it's not greasy. Not greasy at all. My buddy Mark tried them. What'd you think, Mark? I tried the El Pastor tacos. What's up with the pineapple? Let me tell you about the El Pastor tacos, man. We marinated for 24 hours. Hey, Brian from the Nervous Records. What are you doing here hanging out with Mark and Caesar? Hey, Tim Piles. We're just eating some food. Really? You call them, 1-800-777-4-AIS. Now, it takes a few passes, and here's what I mean by that. It takes a few times, a lot of times, for me to tell you this before the message actually sinks in. And you go, you know what? I got to do it. It's in there in your brain. You just haven't taken it from your brain to your thumb where you actually dial the numbers on your phone. Now, you can do it right now. You can actually call them right now. Now, you may be in a position in life, though, where you say, you know what? I don't need to save money. I've actually got so much money.
that I actually, Mikey, I prefer spending thousands of more dollars per year or hundreds of more dollars per year on my auto insurance than the next guy. And so I don't have any need to call. Now, that may be you. Now, if that's not you, let's say you're the guy that goes, you know, it would actually be pretty cool if I were taking that thousand or whatever I'm getting in savings and I put it towards something else in my life, if that's you. Call 1-800-777-4AIS because the average annual savings is $650 per year on your auto insurance. Huge. That's a lot of money. The thing that really gets me is that if you call AIS, they will call your previous auto insurance and cancel for you. And take care of it for you. That is the most amazing thing. I'm like, oh, because I don't want to call. It's awkward to call and do that. Well, not only that, you don't have time. You don't want to spend the time on that. They do it for you. Love it.
Yeah, so give them a call, 1-800-777-4247. There's more to life than a Volvo. That's not a statement any other car company has the confidence to make. But for Volvo, a brand that has always been synonymous with safety and trust, it's simply what we believe. As our founders said over 80 years ago, cars are driven by people. The guiding principle behind everything we make at Volvo, therefore, is and must remain safety. This principle. to build beautifully designed cars that protect you and the ones you love still holds true. In fact, we are so confident in the cars we put on the road today that we now have a best-in-class coverage plan to protect you from unplanned expenses. It's called the Volvo Safe and Sound Coverage Plan. It provides five years of warranty, five years of factory schedule maintenance, five years of wear and tear coverage, and five years of roadside assistance. This means next to no cost to you for the first five years of ownership, and it's complementary with every new Volvo. Volvo, the brand you can trust, has now made the cost of owning the car as safe as the cars we build. There's more to life than a Volvo. That's why you drive one. Apparently, the family guy did a deal where they were mocking Sarah Palin's son that has Down syndrome. Yeah, this happened on Sunday. They aired the episode. And, you know, watching it, it...
Isn't a direct insult. But what happens is, is there's a girl that has Down syndrome on the show and she makes reference to her mom being the former governor of Alaska. Is she a is she a regular character on the show? No, no. She goes on a date with Chris. Really? So, I mean, it's just that she's just said, you know, my dad's or my mom's a former governor of Alaska. And it's nothing too crazy. But still, I mean, it was directly a dig. Well, yeah. I mean, if if the character. is if the character is in any way supposed to be messed up or something, and they say that, and people know that the governor of Alaska has a son with Down syndrome. See, and that's the thing. The thing I always thought was no matter how shocking you are, no matter how, and I'm talking like I used to be the shockiest shock jock in the world. When I was on at night, even when I worked with Woodsy in Dallas. Oh, yeah. Shock jock. Just filthy. Filthy. And when I think back to even all the dudes that I know in radio that have been the most shocking or, you know, the Stearns and all of them. Man cows. Man cows of the world. There's always been, and even comedians that are shocking. There's always been kind of an unspoken rule.
that you don't mess with people's kids because it's creepy. Well, I wonder, I mean, did they go on to, like, make fun of the character more? I just saw one clip in the news article that posted the clip, and it was just Chris on a date with this girl, and she, you know, obviously has Down syndrome, and she makes a comment saying that my mom was the former governor of Alaska. I'd have to see it. Because, I mean, it's everywhere. I can put it up on my blog. You can check it out. They have the audio of it. Now, when you listen to the audio, it's very clear that it's being positioned as humor. Yeah. Now, you know my take on it. My kid has autism. And so anytime somebody that is disabled is being made into humor, I think it's monstrous. You never poke fun at that. Never. Well, you know, I mean, it is what it is. Lauren. My sister has Down syndrome. And I saw there was an episode of the Glee Club where they had a Down Syndrome girl in it. I only saw that one episode, so I don't know if she's a recurring character or not. But it looked like they were going to take that road and go make fun of that character. But in the end, it was actually kind of teaching a lesson. Really? So I'm just wondering.
I don't know. I want to know the context because I like Family Guy and I would maybe not like it anymore if I saw what exactly they were doing. Here's the audio. We're finally going out, Ellen. I've really liked you for a long time. Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing? Sitting down? Get up and put my chair out for me. Oh, goodness. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. That's better. You're going to be this rude all evening? You haven't asked me anything about myself. Oh, sorry. So what do your parents do? That's better. My dad's an accountant and my mom is the former governor of Alaska. Oh, that's cool. It's real cool. Now, here's what I got to tell you. Just as a normal observationalist, I get humor. When I first hear stuff like that, my inclination is that's funny. It instantly hits me as that's funny. Now, that's without the benefit of seeing it. I don't know what it is. Now that I know what it is, I'm like, you know what I mean? If it's anything that somebody cannot help, I'm like, ooh. Dude, instantly when I heard that, I got super tense. Really? Super, super tense. I was like, Mike, you get the dump button ready. Really?
That's completely wrong. But did you think it because now you know the context? I think. Now you know what it is? I mean, dude, if I had played that clip, you didn't know anything about it. When you heard the voice. I wouldn't have laughed. Really? Yeah. I wouldn't have laughed, but for obvious reasons. For obvious reasons. But you also know what they're doing. Like, if you didn't know what they were doing. If you didn't know, yeah. Let's say you didn't know that that's somebody with Down syndrome or that that's somebody. Let's say you didn't know that. Right. The average person would, of course, laugh. Yeah, I mean, that's that I think is the initial reaction. But here's the thing. And this is something I've talked about for a while. Even when doing the Mikey show, I have a choice every day that I come in here. I got choices. OK, my choice is to change culture. And here's what I mean by that. The culture around me says all kinds of different stuff about what's funny, what isn't funny. OK, and I got a choice with doing the Mikey show of what I can decide I position as funny. OK, now, in saying that, I poke a lot of fun at myself. You hear that, that I'm pretty self-deprecating, you know, all that's always been my deal has been to be self-deprecating, to not take myself very seriously. What I'm always trying to reevaluate, what I'm always trying to think about is.
are my words hurting anybody because i never want my words to hurt anybody and whenever i've had anybody call me and say hey it really bummed me out when you said blank i say dude i am really sorry and i mean it you take it very very to heart oh dude i'm very to heart i i sent woodsy an email this morning that we got from a friend of ours that we both know that was bothered about something yep and Woodsy and I both had the same reaction. Our heart sank into our stomach. My gut dropped immediately. After I read the email, I was just like, oh, dude. And it's pretty innocuous. It's not a real big thing. But I wrote the guy back and I said, dude, I am so, so sorry. Because part of the thing is, is that when you're doing a radio show for four hours and the context is comedy, there are going to be times where somebody may. Not dig something. Sure. You know what I mean? Every day. And a lot of what we say is off the cuff. And this was written, like, scripted. Right, right, right. Animated. Planned. Somebody had to do that voice. I mean, that, to me, that's just, it's one of those areas where you just don't go. Now, I'm the most, I can be the most inappropriate person in the world. You know, like I said, I laughed all the way through Gran Torino. Right. When they were making jokes. I just, to have somebody say things like that, I found it just really.
tense but funny right that to me wasn't funny at all at all yeah and uh i mean listen i'll tell you having a kid with autism changes a lot of things absolutely i mean it just it just does and the reason that it does is because he's my baby boy yep i look into his eyes and i'm in love with that little boy i just love him so much all of us are you know and uh to think of anybody hurting your child It breaks your heart. 100%. It just absolutely breaks your heart. So, you know, and a lot of this stuff that you're hearing, it's just growing up. You know, you grow up and, you know, you realize some things. And it could be that in an attempt to be sensational and to get some ratings, it could be that dudes that were the dudes that were writing the show, they've never experienced it in their family. Lauren's sister has Down syndrome. My son has autism. Maybe they've never experienced. that kind of thing before but there's got to be enough like i i had to have pretty thick skin about it because if people just didn't know you know they weren't trying to necessarily be malicious it's just they didn't know they had never experienced it it was different you make fun of what's different but this is like you have to have a team of people to sign off on this to be like oh yeah that's funny that's a great idea
Yeah, Sarah Palin and her family responded to all of this yesterday. Sarah actually got on her Facebook and posted something that her 19-year-old daughter Briston responded to. She's saying that Bristol's response was much more restraining and gracious than I would ever make. And what Bristol wrote was, if the writers of a particularly pathetic cartoon show thought they were being clever in mocking my brother and my family yesterday, they failed. All they proved is that they're heartless jerks. Wow. It's heavy. Yeah, absolutely. It's heavy, man. I do, too. 100%. And I really like Family Guy. Yeah. I don't like cartoons. They didn't need to go there. That's the thing. That show is so funny and so successful. You don't need to do that under-the-line stuff like that. You just don't. I mean, everyone watches Family Guy. Everyone loves Family Guy. That's just going to turn away a huge portion of your audience. Mm-hmm. Let's see. M1 college student. Hey, what's up, guys? What do you think, man? What I wanted to say is first off is yeah the joke was pretty tasteless but what new dynamic does it bring if it's an actual down syndrome person doing the voice and i think it was actually was it really i think i think i think it was them getting their 15 minutes of fame what what does that do to the whole situation wait a minute
What do you mean? It's them getting their 15 minutes of fame and so... I mean, they get the voice act on Family Guy. Who do you mean by they? You mean Down syndrome people? Like a Down syndrome voice actor. The actor, the actress. Yeah, the actor. But I don't think... What if that person gets to do that? I'm not saying that what they did was right, exploiting their condition, but maybe that's what they... That's their rationale. But I don't think they would ever want to put down someone else who has the same thing. You know, I don't I don't think. No, I completely agree. I was just I would say I was just. food for thought yeah no that's good well before i heard the clip that's what i thought too because glee club they had someone they had an actress with down syndrome on there and i thought oh wow are they really gonna go there and exploit her but they didn't it was just an equal opportunity and a chance to actually bring awareness so i thought before i heard the family guy clip maybe that's what they were doing too but after actually hearing the dialogue it's clear that they were just
They're trying to go for a reaction of some sort. Yeah, and they're trying to make fun of Sarah Palin. Yeah. In quite possibly the most hurtful West. Yeah. In fact, I almost want to go borderline hateful. Mm-hmm. It's almost hateful. It's so low. If you're making fun of somebody's kid that's disabled, that's... I mean, and listen, I still have memories. It's not like I forgot who I was. Yeah. It's not like I forgot what we did in Dallas, you know, but there was I don't know, man. I don't know. Maybe I'm missing something. But I, you know, I didn't hear the part where they were making fun. Well, they are drawing it. They're making a joke out of the fact that Sarah Palin has a kid with Down syndrome. I didn't get that. I didn't get that at all. I just I got the fact that it was a kid with Down syndrome that was on the show. Now, do you think that. the kid with Down syndrome is the same in the way that they're presenting it? Do you think that the kid with Down syndrome that they're presenting on the show is being presented as somebody that has brown hair, no different than anybody that has brown hair? Or are they pointing out the fact that the person is different? I didn't get the point that they were, I didn't see the point where they were actually pointing at that. I thought they would just say, hey, here's, and the way I took it was like, hey, here's the kids with Down syndrome on the show.
But why the reference? Why the reference to my mother is the governor of Alaska? Isn't that a joke? I absolutely see where Jay's coming from, and it was not a direct insult. Just the fact that they treaded towards that territory, they just shouldn't have done, you know, because it's a really touchy subject to a lot of people. It's an animated show. I didn't see it. I don't know how they're showing the person with Down syndrome. I'd have to see the rest of it, and I'd like to hear their statement on it, because if it was just merely... pointing it, like the last caller was saying, if it was just saying, well, why can't there be a Down Syndrome character? Why can't there be? Why can't a kid in a wheelchair be on? I mean, they can, but I think it was that reference that kind of made people listening probably go, ooh. M1 Chad. M1 Chad, you there? Yeah, how's it going, guys? Good, man, go ahead. I think the point of bringing it up in the show, you know, Sarah Palin is becoming this big superstar. They were merely to pull them a scab off the fact that beginning in her campaign, she tried to hide the fact she had a Down syndrome. It was a hidden thing. She tried to pass it off. I think at one point she may have even tried to pass it off as somebody else's kid. Hey, Chad. Yeah. Chad, she never tried to pass the child off as someone else's kid, but you may be right that in the beginning she may have tried to hide the fact.
that she had a child with Down syndrome. Would you like to know why? Go ahead. Or do you think maybe you figured out why? You haven't figured out why. No, I don't understand why you try to hide it. Maybe the reason that you try to hide it is because if you were successful at hiding it, somebody on the family guy wouldn't make fun of your child. I don't think he was making fun. In fact, if you listen to what the character's saying, she's upstanding. She demands that her chair be pulled out. She's just like everybody else. Oh, so you don't think that it was meant to be funny when they referenced the fact that her mom was the governor of Alaska and nobody laughed at that? He was pointing it out again. If you know his politics, he was pointing it out that Sarah Palin was the type of person to hide such a thing or attempt to hide such a thing. And if you listen to the character's dialogue, you know, Chris... Well, let me ask you, Chad, because, I mean, I'm just being honest with you.
Had to think long and hard before I talked about the fact that my son has autism. And maybe me coming out, you know, I've talked about it, I've been open about it. But imagine if somebody found out that I did something as dastardly as hiding it from you. Not letting you know that my son has autism. What kind of a monster would keep that from his audience of thousands of people, some of which are a little bit insensitive and cruel. What if I did that? What if I was such a monster that I tried to keep that from people? Would you be running for political office? What if I were? Okay. What if I were? And you're the kind of person that would hide important things that maybe the public wouldn't want you to hide? Really? And why is it that the public wouldn't want me to hide that? Talk to me about the dirtiness of hiding from the public that my child has disabled. The reason that maybe people don't want to talk about it is because they don't want people to make fun of their child. Yeah, absolutely. I would not want people to make fun of my child. But you know what? I also wouldn't want a politician who would want to hide such a thing, who would seem ashamed of such a thing. What does that have to do with her competency as a candidate, the fact that she has a Down syndrome child? Why is that important information that needs to be revealed? I don't think it's...
Insignificant to her and her family, but why is that so important when she's running for political office? Personality trait? I don't think so. How is that a personality trait? Somebody that hides things in general. Am I completely condoning the action of pointing out that she would hide something in her private family? No. But the show is not making fun of people with special needs. Simply pointing out that Sarah Palin herself is somebody that would hide something. Now, we may be using different words, though, Chad. You're using the word hide. Somebody else may use the word protect. Sure. And honestly, I think that that may be what it's about. Chad, do you have kids? Yes, I do. How old? Two years and one on the way. Man, we are so similar because I got twins that are six months old and my son Jake is three years old. Now, I got to tell you. I'm going to assume that your kids are normal and healthy and that they're typical kids. But if you have a kid and your kid has any disability whatsoever, it is very difficult to talk about it. And one of the reasons that it's difficult to talk about is because there's a little bit of shame. And I'll tell you why there's a little bit of shame. The reason that there's shame is because one time or another in our lives,
We've called somebody a retard. One time or another in our lives, we've made a joke or laughed at people that are less than. One time or another in our life, we've laughed at people with a disability. And so when our own child has a disability, we're kind of ashamed of what we've done in our past. I know I was. And there was a lot of shame involved in it. You've done it too, Chad. Even when they're healthy. Yeah, I know. I'll finish the point and then you take it. So when you have them, there's a little bit of that. But there's also the deal where you do want to protect your kid and you don't want anybody to mess with your kid because it's your kid and you love them. Go ahead. And don't think that I'm left-wing. I'm merely pointing out the attempt. I didn't feel that the show itself was. making fun of people with special needs. It wasn't pointing it out. In fact, I thought the character herself from the dialogue that you had on the radio was merely pointing out that they're just like everybody else. But the reasoning for the comment about being the daughter of the governor of Alaska was exactly what I'm pointing out. Am I saying it's right to do? No. Are you saying it's wrong to do? I feel that
I feel that if you're going to run for an office, I feel you need to be open with the public. And I understand wanting to protect your child. And I'm not saying that she shouldn't run for office because she has a child she wants to protect. But I'm merely pointing out that in politics, it's dog eat dog. And if you're going to hide stuff, if you're going to be somebody that hides stuff and you're found out that you hide things, stuff like this is going to happen. And no, I don't necessarily. Don't you hide affairs? Well, did somebody write an article about the fact that she hid the fact that she had a down syndrome kid? Maybe they maybe somebody maybe somebody with very poor judgment would phrase that they hid it. But I think to say that somebody hid it is a very poor choice of words, because the fact of the matter is that you may hide an affair because you don't want people to think that your morality is in question. I don't think the semantics has anything to do with this. Hide and protect. You hide to protect yourself. We're not saying this. You're speaking on a semantic basis. I'm pointing out that. We've already established it's not about protecting yourself. It's about protecting your child. A journalist wrote an article about this, yes or no? I have no idea. What's the article you're talking about? A journalist reported the fact once the public found out or somebody found out that Sarah Palin herself had a special needs child.
A journalist did or did not write an article about that. Not to beleaguer the point, what's that say about Sarah? What do you mean, what does what say about Sarah? If she didn't run for vice, you know, getting announced as the vice presidential candidate, and she didn't get up on the podium and say, Folks, I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much. I'm very pleased to be running for the vice presidency of the United States of America. I think I can serve my country very well. I've done very well as the governor of Alaska. Oh, by the way, I also want to make it known that I do, in fact, have a son with Down syndrome. I also feel that I, as the vice president, can do this. Is that how it should have gone? Probably not. Yeah, I don't think so either. So I think that if you don't say anything about it, I don't think that that calls your character into question personally. Lauren? Oh, I just want to say I know that he was a baby at the time that this was all happening. I don't know exactly how old and I don't know exactly what article he's referring to. But I know from my own mother's experience and probably.
with you and Rebecca, Mikey, as well, you're not sure what to expect. There's no handbook. Yeah, we didn't get a diagnosis until he was three. Yeah, so, I mean, she was probably still trying to figure out, as a mother, how to handle having a Down syndrome child. And it really wasn't the business of everyone in the world to deal with that as she was dealing with it. I mean, I make fun of Sarah Palin all the time because she's a public figure with characters. But I think that's just somewhere you don't go. Oh, yeah. And like, listen, I'm down with the, you know, the Sarah Palin stuff with the, oh, yeah, I can see Rasha from my, that stuff's funny. Right. I don't think that that stuff is hurtful or hateful. I don't think that there's anything within that that is like, you know, I don't think there's anything hurtful or hateful within that stuff. I think that when you're talking about people's kids with disabilities, you get into a different area. I appreciate the phone call, Chad. So we still have the what age as a dude and even as a woman. Let me ask you this, ladies. When do you cut the hair short? That's what I've been trying to figure out. Don't do it, Sienna. My hair is super long. When you're a dude, when does it become okay for that waistline of your jeans?

Surf-wise today will make you happy too. Kind of fun dropping off a little bit as the swell combination out of the west-northwest-southwest continues to taper off slowly but surely. We do have waves running in that waist-chest, shoulder-high zone on occasion. Likely to see a few head-eye-plus setways out there when you can see. We actually have some fog along the immediate coastline right now, making a full visible view a little bit difficult, but my spider senses are tingling. That means there are definitely waves to be had. Tide's low right now. Reef breaks looking pretty fun, as are some of the better structured zones. Watch for the beach breaks to improve a bit more as the tide fills in. Swell seems to be a bit more broken up today, so less closed out at those beach breaks. Watch for the fog to clear away quickly. In fact, there is even a website, m1site.com. Complete fan website. It's awesome. Check it out while you're checking out fm94.9sd.com. Become a... FM 94.9 Insider. Just let this roll, dude. Some pretty good stuff, right? Woo! Welcome back to The Mikey Show. We're getting a lot of text messages about this Family Guy stuff. Yeah. This is an interesting text message. It is from M1Anthony. He says, it's funny how everybody freaks out about a Family Guy episode, but nobody ever talks about the propaganda that comes from Fox News or the GOP. I think that's an interesting point.
I think his name is Anthony. Anthony, I think that's an interesting point. Because as a conservative Republican, I have said on the air before a million times, Fox News is not fair and balanced. A lot of people say that. I mean, just as a Republican, I can tell you, as a conservative, I can tell you, Fox News is not fair and balanced. They swing extremely right. Now, Anthony, it's goofy if you think the CNN. is fair and balanced. Will you open my can of worms for me? Can you? I can't get the top off. Can't get the top off of that? Will you open that for me? Please. Pop the top of that for you. I like that words. But I'm going to tell you right now that CNN is over to the left, okay? Now, but let's forget that for a moment because I want to just ask Anthony this because it's become a political. He's making it a political thing. Okay, so let me ask you this one. Let's say that the Down syndrome girl in the episode of The Family Guy were a Down syndrome girl that was black. And she says, you know, he says, tell me a little bit about your family. And she says, my father is the president of the United States. And let's say that Obama had a kid with Down syndrome. Would that go over well? Probably not. Yeah, sure.
My guess is that that would not go over well, you know? And so I think that regardless, or as some people would say, irregardless. Forbatum. Forbatum. Yeah, I'm going to quote this forbatum. You know, it's one of those deals where you're just like, come on. So the topic is, and I want people to call about this, 5701-949. Or you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. What is the age or what happens when people sort of give up? Now, this is what I mean by that. This is what I mean by that. There comes an age. If you see the dude that is in his front yard and he is mowing the grass in jean shorts that are pulled up to his, you know, over and above his belly button. And he's got on a belt. Like a rope belt. A rope belt with a t-shirt tucked into it. And he's wearing Crocs. Okay. That guy didn't always do that. No. But at some point, dude went, I don't care. Who cares? Who cares? You know what I mean? Woods, he's pointing at the wedding ring. Yeah, man. At some point, the ladies.
have the long, gorgeous hair that they put the big curlers in sometimes. Yes. The hair's long with the curlers and everything. Flowing. And it's just gorgeous. I haven't used curlers since, like, 1987. Well, I love curling my hair. I love it. It's beautiful. My wife does it all the time. Now, but the women will cut it. See, but... Like for me, I don't know. How long is my hair? You look like Crystal Gale. It's pretty close to getting towards my butt. Yes. Let me let it down. It's in a pony right now. Sienna. Goodness. Sienna. Her hair is way down past the middle of her back. I'm putting my head back a little bit because I have a hood on, so I'm counter. Sienna, don't. Cut it. At some point, though, she will be like, I'm tired of this. I'm married. I don't want to mess with it. I'm going to get a bob. Right. Because it's easy. Well, the thing is, I don't straighten it or really do that much that often, so it's not that big of a hassle. To me, mainly, I'm like, am I too old to be, like, rocking this long hair? Like, is that a high school thing? Lauren, you have hair past your shoulders. Yeah. If you married your boyfriend, Matt, would there come a point?
No. No? No, because I don't keep my hair long for guys. I do it because I'm lazy, so I don't like getting my hair cut that often. Yeah. And also, I don't look good with short hair, so it's not for guys. I don't think that... I mean, some people can rock the short hair. If I could, I would. It would be a lot easier. I wonder if it's that women get older and they go, I'm sophisticated. Do you ever see any women over the age of... 60 with long flowing hair. Sometimes you do. I mean like one out of 50, maybe. But each of those women, because you know all of the elderly women have the short hair that they go to the beauty salon once so we can get it fluffed up. Now, each of those women one day had to go, is it time to have that hairstyle? Yeah, is it time for the old lady to do? Is it time? Like, am I there now? It's time. Nothing worse than long.
Long gray hair. Well, they dye it. Wait a minute. What if it was long and gray, but they did something with it? Would that be weird? No, it's just your hair when you get older, it's harder to brush and maintain and look good. And I wonder if the stopping point gets, because I know everyone has a stopping point to which their hair will grow. Like, not everyone can grow their hair as long as Sienna's. Right. So I wonder if the older you get, it just won't grow. Do you guys remember Titanic? Yeah. Yeah. When she takes her hair down and it's really long. I was like, ooh. And she like, she does. She like shakes it out. I was like, ooh. I was like, have a look at my hair. It's so creepy. Oh, that was creepy. Cobwebs. No creepy. Cobwebs. It was creepy. Creepy. But I have, my other grandma has hair that's shoulder length and it looks really good. I'm trying to think. I have a grandmother that's bald. And dudes, man. I mean, dudes do stuff, too. Oh, big time. Dudes will do this stuff. I'm 50 pounds heavier than I was when I got married. Todd's doing one right now. What? What? Now, his entire life, he was like, mister, I was in the minor leagues. I work out. I play sports, whatever. He's going to kill me.
sorry babe and the other day he was like sitting there with his shirt off and he's like man I'm starting to get the Farrar gut you know like it's a genetic thing and he's like Whatever. There's no fighting it. It's going to come. So, I mean, whatever. He's getting the what gut? His last name is Farrar. And so he's starting to get the gut that, like, every man in his family eventually gets. And so he's like, I'm starting to get it. And we haven't, he and I haven't gone to the gym in a really long time. We know this. But he's like, I mean, whatever. There's no fighting it. It's going to come. Everyone in my family gets it. Just let it flow. I'm telling you, man. And it isn't just the body stuff. I mean, sometimes it's just the way that we. We'll wear our clothes. And what we wear. Yeah. Like, you know, there comes a point where a guy doesn't mind if the crotch of his jeans are pulled way up into his crotch. Is that, though? I mean, I don't think I'll ever do that. You will. What about when you get the fupa? You'll have no choice. Now, wait a minute. Let me ask you this. Do you think that there's one guy in the world that ever went?
Oh, yeah. Eventually, I'd really like to have my... I can't wait. I can't wait. No. I don't know. And I think the opposite end of that spectrum is a little weird, too. When you see, like, the 60-year-old guy in the DJs, which is what I call designer jeans. He's got his DJs on. And he's walking around, and he looks all hip. And you're like, dude, you're creepy. You're old. Don't wear DJs anymore. Really? Yeah. It creeps me out, too. M1 Vladimir. Hey, guys, what's going on? What's up, dude? Real quick, I want to say Jay has instantly become my favorite guy on the show. Yeah? Yeah. What is it? He makes me feel at home whenever I have to wait like 10, 20 minutes to get a call through. He's like, hey, you want a drink or something, man? It's going to take a while. I love it. Props to Jay. Hey, I heard the story about the hair. Yeah. I met my wife. She was, like, early 20s, and she had short hair. And she looks good, but she doesn't... How do I say it? Have you ever... Be careful. Be careful. Very, very careful. She knows my name on the radio, too, so... Do you hear that creaking? He's really wishing he didn't care. That's the ice becoming thinner and thinner. Is that what it is?
And if you've ever seen, like, you know, some guys who are Asian have really clear, really clear, nice skin. And so my wife, when I met my wife, first thing I thought to myself, she looked really young. I was like, and she was wearing, for some reason, she was rocking bib overalls. I was like, well, you know, great. Teenage boy came, but we were at church. I was like, well, a teenage boy came to church. Did you meet her on the railroad? Did it say Oshkosh on the side of it? Actually, I think it did. So anyway, we got married. She grew her hair out long. And I was trying to get into martial arts. And she said, I'm getting sick and tired of this hair. She's not a high-maintenance girl at all. I mean, she likes to look pretty, but she does not want to mess with her hair. She rarely does it. She just throws in a ponytail, calls it a day, and that's what she does. That's sexy. And then we got into this discussion. She's like, I'm going to cut my hair short again. I'm like, no, you are not. And you there? Hello? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm just listening, bro. Quiet there. No, I'm still with you. Is anybody out there? She went from having long hair to short hair.
Yeah, well, it was actually, she cut her hair. And I didn't speak to her for a couple of weeks. Wow. I was like, you don't look like my wife anymore. You look like my nephew now. Oh, man. Yeah, it was real bad. So I don't think it's an age thing. It's more of, you know, how do you want to look? You look like my nephew? You told your wife that? Yeah, that's creepy. You look like my nephew. She creeped him out. Listen. Guys like their wives to keep the long hair. I love my wife's hair. I mean, unless you met her with short hair and she looks amazing with short hair, yeah, you don't want any drastic, drastic changes. Would it trip you out if you met her, she had short hair, then she grew it out real long? Yeah. That'd trip you out too, right? You guys are ridiculous. No, that's true. You shaved your head bald. Oh, but he looks so weird with hair. You guys could go bald and we have to deal with it. We get better with age. Wait a minute. What if when you do something, it's for the better? She thinks that too. She knew it was for the better. Have you seen Mikey with hair?
It was thinning up at the top up here. It was thinning. It was the most hideous thing. I'm just using you as an example because like, you know, my sister has a boyfriend and he just got a horrific haircut. I'm sorry if you're listening right now, Joey. But he did. And she was like, Joey's like, really? I'm 15. And my sister was like, oh, man. But she was supportive and she dealt with it. She didn't even tell him. Except for I'm telling him now. You're telling him how great it looks. That's hot. Love you, Joey. You're a cute kid. 570-1949 or you could text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Ladies, don't change your hair. Keep it the way that it is. So what's the age? When do you give up? It's different with everyone. Yeah, it's situational. I say it's the minute you put that little guy on. What have you done since you got married? I've added 50 pounds, number one. I didn't when you were dating, by the way. Mikey, you knew me 10 years ago. Yeah. I was half the person I am now. I don't think you were half. I was like 170 pounds of just hair on fire. 170? Yeah. Really? Yeah. 175. You're too tall to be that. Kid looked good back then. Sharp. Kid looks sharp now. Kid looks fat now.
No. And creamy white. I don't think so. You should be like 177 for your height. Yeah, 6'1". I should be like 180. Dude, for my height, I should be 84 pounds. The height. But I think you just, when you get married, and hey, there's nothing wrong with being married, but once you get married, you're like, eh, I don't really have to let, you're not out all the time. You're not worried about how people perceive you as much as you are when you're single. That's my only point. Things that should be banned. You tell me. Sign spinners? Yeah, they're on my nose. No way. I love them. They're creepy. They creep me out. They're so entertaining. Everyone chuckles when they see us. They stare at me for some reason when I park next to them. Why are you parking next to them? At a light. At a light. Oh, I see what you're saying. They're looking at me and I'm like, dude, don't look at me. They're not just looking at you. They're dancing with their iPod. Some of them are more entertaining than others. Some of them get after it. Yeah, they do. How do they sustain it? How much do they get paid? I want to know. Yeah, call me if you're a sign spinner. I'm going to take the thing out and get some audio from sign spinners. Do it. Find out what's going on. Yeah, I want to find out the deal. How'd you get this job? Yeah. Why do you have this job? How much does it pay? How much does it pay? There's jobs on Craigslist for sign spinners. Really? There's a full-on company. That's all they do. They provide sign spinners to places. I saw a guy pull onto a backflip off of a container. That's killer. See, that's cool. That guy's going the extra mile. That should make $20 an hour. No question.
I think they do. I think they make killer money. Why do you think the age tops out on a sign spinner? I've seen older dudes and older women. It's kind of creepy to see that one. Yeah, you do what you gotta do. I don't think you should be age discriminant. You should be 18 to 21. No. You should be. This was suggested by women for the banned list. Padded bras. Don't get it. Oh, girls are going to be mad about that. They're going to be mad? I can't stand them. The thing is... I don't even know when I'm seeing one. That's the thing. False advertising. Oh, you can tell there's like a cliff. Yeah, there's a shelf right at the top. I'm like, really? I'm wearing a sock in my pants as well. The shirt tucks into the space. Honestly, you're hard to find a bra that doesn't have padding. When I'm shopping for new ones, I'm like, really? Really? What is this? Maybe next time don't wear one. They have bras. That's even worse. So are you saying that most bras... That's just the way they come down? They're made that way. Some are more extreme than others. Some have, like, water and pudding in them. Jell-O. Jell-O. The custard. The jell-O. They do. And it makes them look good. Amazing. It makes the sisters look good. Pudding. Chicken cutlets. You know what? They're just working with what they have. Just whatever. Just guys I think are bitter because they can't do that, too. That's the thing. Listen. When I see the... Petted.
Well, here's the deal. When I see the breast augmentation that is so obviously, gigantically breast augmentation, my thought has always been, isn't that kind of like if a guy put some kind of vegetable in his pants and tried to pass that off? It's so noticeable. I'm a big fan of the breast augmentation. You are? Yes. I'm only a fan of the breast augmentation when I can't tell. No, I like them all, pal. Really? All of them. I do think that there are two different guys. I think that there are the guys that go, I know that's a boob job and I think that looks great. That's me. I'm the guy that goes, why don't you just put a cucumber in your pants? It's the same thing. It's so obviously that. I want to go. I can't tell. It looks like you've got great breasts. You know what's funny is when I play ball, I wear a cup. And cups are giant. And before I go, I'm in shorts and a t-shirt before I change in my uniform because you don't want to drive around in baseball pants. Right. It looks hysterical. You look like Robert Plant, dude, walking around. Big bulge. It is hysterical. You feel very uncomfortable. They're really uncomfortable. They're really uncomfortable to drive in.
Or to hang out in there. You would think a cup would be uncomfortable to drive in. Yeah. But you can't put the cup in at the field or else you're a perv. It's true. Okay? You put the cup on at the house. Yeah, you're by your car trying to put your cup in real quick. That sounds wrong. You're wearing a cup right now. Don't lie. I have a cup on right now. 570-1949. If you guys had the option to get that surgery, but for you guys, a little addition. How many guys would do that? They have that. I actually had a reduction, but that just started killing me. It's a Mikey show. Let's see. We were doing things that should be banned. And you can always call us with things that should be banned. You might get a debate out of it. Because we don't always agree on things that should be banned. In fact, most of the time we don't. Cargo Shorts was the one that came up that's been the biggest one ever. Five, seven. Oh, we're going to be doing our movie review here in just a couple seconds, by the way. We saw Valentine's Day. Let's see. A couple of text messages that we're getting. Mikey, personally, if I'd heard Sarah Palin talk about her kid with Down syndrome, I would think that she was trying to take advantage of her child for her own political gain. That's M1 Edge. A lot of people would have felt that way.
I guess, I mean, it doesn't matter. Any way you go, people are going to say that you're doing something wrong. Yep. To lose, lose. She doesn't say anything about it. She's hiding it. If she says something about it, she's exploiting it. She's playing that card. She's playing the card. This text message says, Sienna, with your long hair, wait till you've got a six-month-old swinging from your hair. That's a good one. Put it in a bun. You know what I'm saying? And that's a deal with my wife. I know that. She's keeping that long hair, even though those kids are grabbing and pulling and yanking at that hair all the time. Also, when you have a little kid, you're supposed to lose a lot of hair, too. Yeah. I bet women cut it then also because they're like, oh, it's too much. It could be. M1 Corbin. Yeah. Go ahead. Hey, I'm a sign spinner. Are you really? Yeah. There you go. Yeah, dude. On the radio talking trash, man. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We want to ask you about the sign spinning. We want you to tell us about the sign spinning. How old are you? I'm 19. So how do you get the sign spinning job? Well, I was working at my aunt's deli over in Escondido. And we were running low on business. We got this new kid. His name's Cody. And he was standing out there and he was just going nuts. Yeah.
She started throwing all the boys out there, so it's just me, Kid Bryce, Cody, the ones that do it on the weekends, how that came up. Yeah, Corbin, I don't have a problem with the sign spinner. Some people have a problem with you and your job. I personally do not have a problem with the sign spinner. It's okay. You know, even if you did, I would be friends with you. Thank you. Corbin. Thank you, Corbin. Corbin. Go ahead. What is the sickest move you have with that sign? Yeah. What's like? Check this out. Your signature move. Yeah, what is it? You know what? I do a little bit of Michael Jackson. I get the little spin at a moonwalk. Nice. Can you moonwalk? I can moonwalk. That's huge. Corbin, you sound older than 19. Well, I've heard that I sound like a 40-year-old man on the phone. But when you said, we got some other boys out here or whatever, and then I was like, yeah, he's 19.
Corbin, chances, percentage of chance that you could teach me to moonwalk. Percentage of chance. 100%. 100%. We got to get him in studio. Corbin. Bring your sign. Corbin, do you wear cargo shorts? No. Oh, my goodness. See, you're done. You're done, Woodson. He's a child, though. He's a child. Yeah, he's 19. He gets it. He gets it. He knows what's cool. He knows what's cool. Corbin, you're awesome. I haven't worn shorts. Since, like, seventh grade. So you're out on shorts completely? Completely. It's just my legs. I'm, like, blinding white. I am, too, dude. I got chicken legs, too. Oh, the glaciers. They're called the glaciers. The glaciers. The icebergs. But sometimes if it's hot, you got to put them on. Thank you, Corbin. Wear board shorts. Thanks, brother. M1 Josie. Hi, I was calling about the boob thing. But, you know, I'm a fan of cargo shorts, too. That a girl. Thank you, Josie. When you take your shirt off, you've got boobs. But when you put your pants down, a cucumber would be a huge disappointment. Okay, now wait a minute, though. Now wait a minute. People pay money. Huh? Now wait a second, though. The idea, Josie, is the same. With an over-exaggerated boob job, the idea is to represent that you've got very large breasts. Well, they paid their money.
I understand. I understand. But what I'm trying to get us to agree on is that the idea of an over-exaggerated boob job is to represent that you have very large breasts. Am I right? Yeah. You have very large breasts. There's a lot of girls that have natural breasts that are very large. You know, I know. I know. I know. I know. Sienna's one of them. But here's the deal. Here's the deal. I don't think that anybody looks at Sienna. And goes, oh, I mean, so obviously fake. I really don't think that people do that. No, I would hope. I mean, I don't. When they're real again, no. This is what science has not been able to do yet. And when I say science, I mean the boob job people. Okay? The boob scientists. Boob scientists. Boobists. Boobists. Yeah. Here's what the boobists have not been able to do. They have not been able to recreate. Boobufacturers. The boobufacturers. Yes.
The booby fractures have not been able to somehow recreate that sense of organicness. Boobness. Boobness. They can. They're a lot better now. They're a lot softer and squishier than they used to be. They used to be like little rocks. I've never seen them that they don't look like rocks. Really? When they're really, really large. I have a friend that's got some good ones. Can we talk about this for a second? Every girl, every girl, when you ask girls about, when you ask girls that either have a boob job or are considering a boob job, and you go, who's got the most awesome boob job? Who do you, what name do you think that you hear? Carmen Electra. Or? Which is it? Because I'll tell you the one that I've heard a lot. Who? Or at least back in the day. Pam Anderson. That was the name that I heard all the time of people that thought that she had a great... She did at one point. At one point she did. She's had reductions since. She's had reductions, additions. At one point they were magnificent. Yeah, they were pretty nice for a while. But I like the ones that don't look... They look phony? They look obviously fake. They're awful. That's okay. But I think Josie called to say, you know...
With a guy, if he were to pull down his pants, there's going to be a cucumber and it's going to be fake. If a girl has fake boobs, then they're still there. They're still there. But I think why Mikey originally made that reference is because we were talking about padded bras. And the girls may have a lot of padding, so the guys may think, whoa, big boobs. And then when the bra comes off, they're not really there. Which is a huge disappointment. Josie, the thing I think is that when a girl has an obvious boob job, there's only one conclusion to make, which is, oh, well. Looks like you had a boob job. I'm in. Her boobs are huge. I'm in. You don't need big boobs, though. Big boobs don't serve a giant purpose, you know? Speak for yourself, pal. Roll with what you got because they're fantastic in all sizes. I do agree with that. I do agree with that. I prefer, just as a personal preference, the natural-looking breasts over the... Big fake breasts. But you also can get boobs. It's clownish. It's clownish. But you can also get boobs like, I know someone who had one boob that was over one size bigger than her other boob. You know? Yeah. Stuff like that happens all the time. Why not get a boob job that looks natural? Get a lift.
Sometimes, obviously they want to, but sometimes it doesn't turn out that way. If you have small boobs and you want like a C cup or something, they're going to look a lot less natural because your skin is stretched. It doesn't fit the body. Only if the doctor goes too far. Yeah, but that happens all the time. Yeah, I mean, that just depends on, sometimes the girls say what, the girls always say what size they want. It's like getting a haircut and you're like, can you, you know, just take an inch off and they do four inches. Always. I'm so scared of that. What happened? I'm doing my haircut on Friday. Let's talk about the movie we saw yesterday. Yes! Let's talk about... Mikey had a standing ovation. He clapped at the end. There's so many funny bits. Well, yeah. Now, Sienna, you realize that when I did that, I was being a little bit facetious. No! Yeah. No, you were not. That was a bit. I was being a little bit facetious. I know, I know. We saw Valentine's Day. We have to stop giving the movies that we saw a thumbs up or a thumbs down. I don't think that that gets the job done. Okay. I think that what we need to do is we need to start giving movies one to five stars. Oh, that's better. That's way better. Can we give zero? We can give zero stars. If we feel that a movie is zero stars, we can absolutely give it zero stars. Lauren, I hope you mean that the zero is not because she cried. Hang on. Hang on now. We're getting ahead of ourselves. I'm excited. I give...
The movie Valentine's Day, out of five stars, I give it almost three stars. What? I give it two and a half stars. Okay. I give it two and a half stars. Okay. I'll tell you why I give it two and a half. Because I thought it was cute. I thought it was exactly what it was supposed to be. If you don't know anything about the movie Valentine's Day, first of all, it's the number one movie in the country right now. Sienna picked it. Every week, each of us rotate. We get to pick a movie. I thought it was cute. It was exactly what it was supposed to be. Cute. What did you think of Taylor Swift? I thought she was one of the better parts of the movie, actually. So hot. She was an awful actress, but she was cute. I thought she was great. So hot. Didn't think she was awful.
at all. Really? No. I don't even know how you can say so hot. I felt like I had to scrub the dirt off myself. Really? She's pretty cute. She looks prettier than I've ever seen her in that movie. That's the word you have to use for her. Anyone over the age of like 22 that calls Taylor Swift hot? How old is Taylor Swift? She's like 20. She's legal. She's like a Q-tip. You can just pick her up and put her in your ear and clean it out. Ew. I actually, well, first of all, let's just go around the room and then we'll discuss. Two and a half stars? I give it two and a half stars. Woodsy. One star. Lauren. Half a star. You cried! Sienna. That's why. We'll get to it. We'll get to it. Sienna. Let Jay go. I like to give that one star. Yep. Sienna. I'm going to give it three and a half. Three and a half? Yeah. I wasn't, you know, it was... I'm telling you, I wanted to see it, but I wasn't like, this is going to be the greatest movie. It was longer than it should have been. Oh, yeah. By like an hour and a half. No, it wasn't. No, by like, it was an hour and a half longer than it should have been. No, and then it wasn't really funny. Like, I was supposed to laugh. It wasn't funny. And I was like, I laughed at like two parts because I tried to laugh, you know? But it was a cute movie. I definitely recommend, you know, girls seeing it. There was a guy sitting next to me.
Who was laughing? Yeah, his name was Mikey. No, no, no. There was a guy with his girlfriend, and he was laughing, like, the whole time. Dude, Woods made me laugh in the theater so hard. Woods got me laughing in the theater so hard that I was embarrassed because I couldn't stop laughing. And I was trying to. And I was, like, I was trying to stop laughing. But this is what Woods did. So we're watching the movie, and you hear a couple of... I'll do it for you. You hear a couple of obligatory laughs. And Woods goes, ha, ha, ha, ha. It's my Vince Vaughn swingers laugh. All these people were like, ha, ha, ha, ha, at this one part. After it was silent again, I go, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, like that. Laugh as I could. Like five times. I didn't even hear you do that. I heard Mikey go, hee-ho-ho. He died. Mikey died. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. It was so vanilla. I mean, it was so vanilla. What does vanilla mean? Boring. Boring as it could be. The old couple. The young couple.
It was just like, come on. Not predictable at all. One, there was one, the little boy. Don't say anything. What I'm saying is there was a little boy who was probably like nine years old, and he was like in love with this girl. And the whole thing was him trying to get her flowers on Valentine's Day. And he was the worst little actor I've ever had. He's cute. I agree. He's cute. But I couldn't even watch him. He was cute. The acting of this little boy, they could have found. It was so bad. There was one redeeming. And we all know what that is. And it was very touching. I actually had a tear pop up. It did not fall. I had a single tear. I had a single tear, too. I don't know if I can say I cried. You had a tear come out of your eye, right? I had a single tear. Did you have a tear come out of your eye? Did it come out of your eye? Yeah. Or did it well up? Mine did not. Mine welled up. No, it welled up. It didn't roll down. Oh, really? We were wellers. That's different. Welling is... But it was the only, only, only redeeming quality of that movie. That literally... That was it. You knew that was coming, right? No, I didn't know it was coming. I knew it was coming the whole time. I had a gut feeling. I told Jay. I leaned over and I whispered in his ear. Hey, baby. You kept doing that, too. I could not get comfortable in that. I just couldn't get coming. We were in the back of the theater. There was no row behind us. There was a wall. Five minutes into the movie, Lauren elbows me and I look at her and she sticks her finger down her throat.
No, I don't think it was two minutes into the movie. It was, like, such a blatant display of overacting. Like, I can't imagine how everyone's heads fit through the studio of all the egos that were on that. They probably couldn't film any of the scenes together. Well, apparently one of them was using a time machine, too, because the movie took place in L.A., right? Yeah. Well, then she zips up to San Fran, and then she zips back down to L.A. in time for dinner. It's a 45-minute flight. Yeah, but still, it's not like you pop in, get on the plane, pop out. I mean, there's travel time. I mean, there was no way that's going to happen. Yeah, it's easy. No way. I flew to San Francisco in a day and back. You've got to be there an hour early, okay? When you land, you've got to go to where she went. Oh, hey, hey, take it easy. Then you've got to go back to the L.A. Take it easy. Take it easy. I think she was in a DeLorean. Can I just say, Jennifer Gardner. I never really thought she was that cute. I do. She looks so pretty in that movie. She did look cute. I think she looks very cute. There's a lot of cute girls in that movie. She looks really good. I mean, she has two kids. There's a lot of cute girls in that movie. Jessica Biel, good lord. Jessica Alba's hair was not cute. Jessica Alba, angel. Get rid of the blonde hair. Mikey's shaking his head. Anne Hathaway, who I never thought was attractive, all the way in now. She had a good character. She was...
Probably the best actor in that movie. The last time I saw a mouth like that, it had a hook in it. I don't get it. Fish? Huge mouth, dude. Huge. Whatever. Who did you think was cute? Do you know that young girl, Emma Roberts? That's Julia Roberts' niece. Which one? The one that kept saying how she and her boyfriend were going to do something that day. Oh, she was cute. Oh, come on. She's cute, too. Oh, I think she's really cute. I think she's cute. I can say somebody's cute. I think Jake's cute. She's probably 47 years old, Lauren. You're freaking out about it. No, she's like 19. Ugh. You know what my favorite part of the movie was? The end. When Woods ran into the door on the way out of the theater. You did. I almost broke my nose. You did. It was like hands flat against the screen. Well, the other thing too. Hottest person. I thought Shirley MacLaine looked really good. What was that weird, weird scene with her in the crazy outfit? That was so weird. I liked it. She's dramatic. There you go. It was a total, total snoozer. Guys, you won't like it, but girls. Rent her for girls. If you're like me, rent it. M1 Rob.
Yo, brother, I give it a five stars out of any chick movie I've ever seen. Oh, really? Wow. What did you like? What did you like? Everything, dude. It had romance. It was sad. First of all, I took my chick on Valentine's Day to see it. Good move, man. Yeah. And how was that dude in the theater that was laughing really loud, by the way? M1 Rob, let me ask you. Just about everything in the movie, didn't you go, well, this is going to happen, and then this is going to happen, and then this is going to happen? Yes, but it was the most entertaining chick flick. I mean, it might have been cheesy, but it was the best chick flick I've ever seen. Go see Notting Hill, pal. Watch Notting Hill. Anything with you, Grant. Woods is going to give two things. No, just Notting Hill. Just Notting Hill. Thank you, bro. Notting Hill is really not that good. It's so funny. It's so funny. There is no chick flick. There is not one chick flick in existence that I really dig. Titanic. Titanic. Titanic. First of all, Titanic is too long. It's like three hours long. I know what's going to happen at the end. Pretty Woman.
First of all, I've never seen Pretty Woman. Really? It's a good movie. I've never seen it. There doesn't seem something to be interesting about it. It is. Julia Roberts at the end of Valentine's Day. That was funny. Don't ruin it. I'm not. You're going to tell people. The movie's over. It's in the trailer. I was going to say she does a little bit. during the credits, you know, shows the mess-ups and stuff, and she does a little bit from Pretty Woman, and it was great. It was funny. Pretty Woman's funny. It's a funny movie. I saw it in the theater. Mikey, did you like how every, like, five seconds Julia Roberts was on screen, I was counting how much money she made? Yes. The whole thing. Lauren would lean over and go, $455,421. $500,000. One million dollars. Julia Roberts was in the movie approximately six minutes and she made three million dollars. That's five hundred thousand dollars a minute. How bad is Ashton Kutcher? He's awful. No, he isn't. He's awful. Disagree. He's awful. I don't think he's a bad actor. You guys think he's a bad actor? No, I think he's a good actor when he wants to be. When he turns on that cheesy over actor. That was so over. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's true. It was so.
Well, I think a lot of that... I wish I was as tall as he is, though. I wish I looked exactly like him. Every time I see Ashton Kutcher, I'm like, man, that'd be cool. He's a sharp dude. Yeah, he is. He's a dapper fella. He's very dapper. He's a jabroni. What is that, a jabroni? It's a dork. Really? Yes. You get that vibe? He just, you know, he's like, I'm a demeanor. Sienna? I'm going to. I'm punk you. Let me tell you. You just got punked. Let me respond to this. Let me respond to this Sienna comment about Ashton Kutcher being a jabroni. Yes. Because every once in a while what you'll get is you'll bring up like a good looking girl. And dudes will go. And like it's somebody that a lot of people consider to be really attractive celebrity. Yeah. Okay. And you'll hear dudes go, oh, no way, blah, blah, blah. Here's what I always say. I go, I use what I call the sales guy or sales girl technique. And what that means is if that dude were a sales guy here at the radio station and he came walking in here with our general manager to be introduced as a new person working here in a suit, don't tell me you wouldn't think he was hot. Just like I say to the guys.
Whenever they say that, I mention, like, a good-looking actress, like, that I think is good-looking. Like, I'll give you the perfect example. I think that Allison Hannigan. From American Pie. Yes, the one with the flute. One time at band camp. That girl. Disgusting. Now, you say that because all you think of is the band camp character. Although, if you Google image Allison Hannigan, she's good-looking. Now, this is what I always say. That guy's like, oh, yeah, right. If she walked in here right now, all dressed up, sales girl, you would go, she'd walk out and you would go, I don't know. Who does that? I promise you. Wow. I think we found Mikey's cat. But that's the truth. I'm telling you, you've got to use the sales guy. I don't understand. If Ashton Kutcher came in here right now, and you'd never heard Ashton Kutcher, he'd walk out and you'd go, oh, I forgot. Well, trust me, there have been times that I think he looks good. I think he's a good-looking guy, but I still know his personality from the punked and from Demi Moore. Nah, you've got to take that out. You're allowed to just have an opinion. I have an opinion, and that is jabroni. See, I don't think she's cute. She's like half nude. My wife is on the line. Hi, honey.
Hi. How are you? Hi, good. Hey, I wanted to remind you, there's a chick flick that you actually love. I knew it. I knew it. What is it? I know what you're going to say, and the last time we saw it, I was like, I'm out on this movie. No, you love it. We've watched it like five times. Oh, I think I know what it is, too. It's Love Actually. Yeah, and the last time I saw it, I was like, eh. Stop it. I'm out. You've been shamed, haven't you? Yeah, it's the fifth time we watched it, by the way. She was out. That's her? That's Allison Hannigan, bro. Your wife is on the line talking to you. You're holding up a picture of Allison Hannigan. My wife is all about Matthew McConaughey. Am I right, babe? I thought it was... Wait a minute. He used to be hot. Now he's like, I run on the beach. I thought Matthew McConaughey was the guy that you thought was real hot. Hey, Marky. Who is the actor, honey, that you think is real good looking? Brad Pitt. It's a Brad Pitt. Yeah, Brad Pitt. It's hard to find something wrong with Brad Pitt. I really like Gerard Butler, too. He's a pretty sharp dude. Oh, yeah, he's cute, too. 300. Who's the guy that played the football player in the movie?
Oh, Josh Duhamel. Josh Duhamel. Josh Duhamel. Josh Duhamel. He's married to Fergie. Yeah, when Josh Duhamel comes running down the beach with no shirt on. Oh, that's not Josh Duhamel. Oh, that's Eric Dane. Eric Dane. Eric Dane. Dr. McSteamy. He's gorgeous. When he came running down the beach with no shirt on. I looked over at Lauren. I go, this is like looking in a mirror. You know, and he was literally the worst actor on. Taylor Swift out-acted that guy. Yeah, he was terrible. Brad Cooper's a stud, dude. Love Brad Cooper. Rebecca, my wife, wants to see Valentine's Day. You should take her again. Rent it. Rent it, Rebecca. Jamie will go with you. Rebecca, I was excited. and it didn't live up to what I thought. But I still thought it was cute and worth seeing. Yeah, I want to see it. It's so fun that Mike got to see it. He never watches movies like that. Well, the only reason I did is because Sienna was picking yesterday. He had to. I know, he had to. She can come with us sometimes. Yeah, you can come with us if you want to. Yeah, next time it's a movie I want to see. For sure. Always on Sienna Week, probably. Love you, babe. Never on Woods Week. Bye.

Let me tell you about the El Pastor tacos, man. We marinated for 24 hours. Hey, Brian from the Nervous Records. What are you doing here hanging out with Mark and Caesar? Hey, Tim Piles. We're just eating some food. Really? Are you sure you're not cutting a commercial? No, man. We're just having a conversation. Really? Yeah, are we supposed to be cutting a commercial? I'm a musician. Default. Profile. Profile pictures. Yeah, the default. And I'll tell you what's interesting, you know, without getting into it because I've got to read this email and get people's input. But without getting too into it, what I will say is what we would pick for ourselves is probably not what other people would pick for us. There's no doubt about it. Like, Woodsy, I guarantee you if you let your sisters here go through the pictures of you that you have. Right. and you let them pick the picture that they think made you look the most handsome and the most whatever, I will say with 100% assuredness, they won't pick what you pick and they will not pick what I pick. You're right. Of what I think is the, you know, my wife, if I show my wife 10 pictures and I got one in my head that I'm like, that's the one that I look the skinniest in, which is always how I pick the best one. Me too.
The best one is which one makes me look the least fat. That's the picture I'll go with, right? My wife will never pick that picture. It'll always be something different. That's just the way it works. Because you're probably way too critical on yourself of what you think looks fat. I definitely have learned that that's the case. But the hard part with that is that I always think that that's the case. Doesn't matter what it is. Me too. Okay, so here's our number. 570-1949. And the email is 949mikey at gmail.com. Tell me, guys, what you would do. Mikey, I have a problem and I was wondering if you could help me. Recently, the girl that I've been dating met my parents. Needless to say, they totally hit it off, which was awesome. However, she got so comfortable around them this last weekend that she casually dropped an F-bomb during conversation.
What should I do, man? It makes things really uncomfortable as I don't even say the F word around my parents. How do I confront her about this without sounding like a jerk? That's M1 Mama's boy. Our phone number is 570-1949. If you want to text about this, 949mikey at gmail.com. Well, if a girl that I was dating dropped the F bomb. In front of my parents. Now, let's take who I am now out of the picture because we know now I don't curse. Okay? I don't curse anymore. But I used to curse like a sailor, man. Woodsy remembers. Now, even then, if I had brought a girl around my parents and she had even casually dropped the F-bomb in front of them, it would have weirded me out. I would dig a hole. Oh, yeah.
And when he says, what should I do? How do I confront her about this without sounding like a jerk? I think what you do is you say, I need you to know that it made me very uncomfortable when you said the F word to my mommy. Oh, stop. She's an adult. They're adults. Get over it. She said a bad word one time. Really? It's a big freaking deal. Really? The parents like her. She's a cool girl. It's not like she's, you know, every other word is F this. Oh, man. Oh, you know, and she's going off like one word. Really? That's a pretty strong word. He's never said a bad word in front of his parents. It's called respect. I'm going to be like you. I'm going to be like, what's grow up? Peter Pan.
It's called respect. You'd never said a bad word in front of your mom. Oh, I can. That's my mom. But this guy says, I don't even say the F word in front of my parents. My mother hates it when I say the F word. Well, yeah, but you're a grown up and sometimes it comes out. Just a word. You guys, it's not very ladylike. Well, I'm not saying it is. I'm not saying everyone do it. Keep it classy, dude. It's the best thing to do. It's not, but like this guy's sending an email into us about it. Dude! He said it one time. I think it's worth mentioning to her at least once. Oh, jeez. If I was the girl, I'd be like, grow up, loser. Really? Yes. Wow. If you cursed in front of a dude's mom and you dropped the effer. It's one thing if I said it a lot. But if this guy felt the need to. talk to me about one time. Do you know how easy it is? You have to push the dump button on Woods all the time and on the radio. I've never said F on the radio. Ever. That's a way different story. But like, she's a grown woman. Not only that, but he's got a big dip in his mouth right now. What do you expect from that guy? Exactly. But I just don't think it's that big of a deal. I would never do it. If it's something that becomes routine, yes. But the fact that he's even writing in about one time, it's like, what if she says it once and then she just keeps pushing the envelope because nothing was brought up?
Well, then that's fine. Then you can talk to him about it. But she said at one time, dude, you're overreacting. No. How many times... Sorry, wait. Let me get a piece of paper and a pen. I want to make sure that Sienna explains to me how many times it's appropriate. If it becomes routine. Okay, so let's see. What's routine? Is that three F-bombs in front of mom? He must like her enough to have introduced her to his parents, and that must not be in her character, or else she wouldn't have even made it to the meeting the parents level. If she was a swearer, he would have known by now. Okay, so is that four? No, it's routine, Michael. I'm just trying to find out how many is appropriate. But I'm a swearer, and I don't do that in front of my own parents or my boyfriend's parents because I think it's disrespectful. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Find out what it means to me. But that would not bring me around his mom because he thought I was going to drop the F-bomb. I think he'd know that I wouldn't. No, and I understand, and I think that you're right. It is a lack of respect, but I also think this guy's being a, and I'll say it again, jabroni by, like, one time. One time?
What does it make a difference? Does it make a difference, by the way? Because I was the one that pointed out that it was a girl and it wasn't very ladylike. So let me play devil's advocate on myself. Okay. Is there a double standard? Absolutely 100%. There is? No. 110%. No. If Matt did that in front of my parents, I would 100% call him out right away. Oh, Todd does in front of my parents all the time. My dad is a sailor himself. Todd fits in great. And yes, I, you know, I'm the debutante. I know not to say that stuff, but sometimes you just do. And it's who you are. But isn't it one thing? Oh, this is annoying to me. When your dad does it too. Maybe. That makes it, like, that's one thing. Like, if your boyfriend did it. I've never met a dad who doesn't. My dad doesn't. My dad doesn't. At all. My dad doesn't. What? I've heard my dad say F once. And he said GD one time about 15 years ago. And that's it. That's like ever. Yeah, I've heard my dad say the S word. Yeah. Very regularly. Stop. Seriously. You guys. I'm serious. I'm dead serious. My mom. In fact, every single one of my parents, my friend's parents will drop a word. Not moms, but dads always. I curse like a sailor. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, back when I used to swear.
I would swear in front of my mom and dad. Me too. I don't anymore. But I would say words that even my dad didn't use. I was filthy. But this is also an example because Lauren says that she doesn't call her boyfriend's mom by her first name. It's kind of like you don't know what to say. Other people, like, I don't remember, I think it was Wood, says that you called Jamie's parents Mr. and Mrs. something. Yeah, I did. And for me, never in my life have I had to say Mr. and Mrs. something to one of my friend's parents. Even when I was little, it was always call me by a first name. What about your fiance's parents? They're not in the picture. He doesn't talk to them. Okay. If they did, though, you would not be dropping Fs. Well, not in the beginning. You don't drop Fs anyway. I don't really hear you say Fs. No, no, and I don't, but, I mean. I just don't think it's that big of a deal. I think it's absolutely a double standard. And that's, I think, why I'm sticking up for this girl who said it one time. Let me tell you. Go ahead, Lauren. Well, like I said, if Matt did it, I think it's situational to the type of people. If, like, Sienna's dad is obviously okay with it, then Sienna wouldn't be sensitive to Todd saying that. But my parents don't say it. You said your parents don't say it. Yours don't. So it's like, if you're kind of...
tuned into that sensitivity of like that just doesn't happen in your household and then you're trying to bring someone into the family and have them accept it and then they start you know like speaking like my mom says i have a mouth like a truck driver because i say things like that you do yes but i try to tone it down in front of them like when i was a teenager it was a lot more my mom absolutely if i say something bad she's don't say that but I think it's different. I think this girl said it one time. M1 Whoopi is on the line. Whoopi's about to get mad. Okay, first of all, I just want to say, Sienna, I hear what you're saying. I understand what you're saying. But really, I think, and I don't want to piggyback on the whole... You know, you live in La Jolla thing. Because I live in Bird Rock. I live in Bird Rock. We're neighbors, Whoopi. We are. I live in Bird Rock. Okay. I see this. And I see this with my son's friends and how they react to their parents and how I've taught my son to react to other people's parents. When Jalen goes, when my son, oh, sorry, he's M1 Boo Boo. When he goes over his friend's house.
I've taught him, you don't call an adult by their first name. You're a child. You don't have that right. So it would be Miss Sienna or, you know, when I say, you know, go over to see Miss Lauren or go over to see, you know, Mr. Woods. Now, if the adult addresses him and changes that, that's one thing. But that's a level of respect. So even now, I don't go to, you know, an adult situation or a parent or someone of my friends and family and call them first name. It's miss this or miss that because that's how I was raised. But I think that this girl dropping the F-bomb, the first thing you're going to do, because it's shocking, I'm quite sure he was shocked, he's going to give her the look. Because I'm giving anybody who curses in front of my parents for the first time, they're getting the look. See, I would be too uncomfortable to give the look. Yeah. I'd be shocked. I'd be shocked. Everything that you're saying, Whoopi, I 100% agree with. You should always teach your children to use Mr. and Mrs. And you're right. 100,000%. But for me, I'm just saying the way I was brought up and with my parents, friends, all like in the same area you live, they always said, no, no, call me Peggy. No, it's Jan. Call me Lisa, you know.
And you know what? That's fine. But my son's little friend, oh, no, it's Miss Marion. You don't... Whoopi, let me ask you. It's just not right. Let me ask you, though, Whoop. Let me ask you. What would you think if your kid was 24, brought a girl around, you loved her. Oh, and Whoopi's going to hate it. You loved her, Whoop. Like, you think this girl is the one he should marry, and she casually drops an F-bomb in front of you. Well, first of all, I would give her a look. I'm giving the look. And second of all, I know my son was raised right, so he's having a conversation with her after that's done. No doubt. To let her know that's not acceptable in that tone. Now, if we're telling a joke or if we're watching Cat Williams on TV, something where that's up, that's fine. I don't use that in everyday conversations. I don't. And I can have a mouth who's filthy as a sailor. I know stuff. But it's just not something. It's a respect thing. And I think that when it comes to somebody's parents, the first time meeting them, yeah, it might have been a one-time thing, but it's not going to happen. You have to earn that level of comfort. And if your parents don't have that in everyday conversation or make use of that kind of vocabulary, you have to respect that. I don't care what kind of adult you are in your own life, but you're going to respect.
Thank you, Whoopi. I agree with her. And I think that, you know, I didn't realize that you parents didn't swear. I mean, my parents are very, you'll meet them at the wedding. They're like, have a drink. What's going on? Like, my mom's a party planner. F this, F that. There's no way. My mom's not F this, F that, but my dad is. Even when my dad's at work, he, like, gives, you know, little. seminars and stuff, and he always says, look, I'm going to go ahead and apologize ahead of time. I have a little bit of a mouth of a sailor. Even party girl Jenny knows, right, Jenny, that you're not supposed to talk that way in front of somebody's parents, right? Yeah, Mikey, like, I just, I turn on a filter when I need to. You turn the filter on, right? Yeah, I turn it on. Because you don't want to upset a parent if you're just getting to know the guy, right? No, I am totally respectful at all times. I may do a little party thing. Tell me about your favorite boyfriend. Do you have a boyfriend right now? I don't remember. I mean, well, we got in a fight last night, and so I don't know if we're still actually together. Because you party a lot, and I know he probably... I party. But you would never, in front of his parents, would you say something like that because you realized that would reflect poorly.
No, like, even if, like, I trip over something, because I do that sometimes. Right. I'll just be like, oh, dang. I would never be like. Right. Bleep. Bleep, right? Beep. Right. You would never say that. No, I'd never say that. Do all of your boyfriend's parents like you? Not all the time, because, like, sometimes I wear things that I think are totally fine. Right. And then they'll be like, uh, I can. I see a little bit too much of the skin. Right. I can see where you're coming with that. It's Party Girl Jenny. And sometimes she does sort of go over the line. A little bit. In fact, I would even say right now, some people would even call into question a little bit of what Party Girl Jenny is wearing. Well, this is in style. Everyone's wearing mini skirts. Yeah, I know. But that's...
Woodsy, wouldn't you say that's a very short... I like it. Sienna, wouldn't you say definitely that that's a little bit... When you can see the cheeks, you're seeing a little too much. That's all Sienna's trying to say with us. Fair enough. You know what? You're the boss. That's all I'm saying. You're the boss. That's right. That's right. Thank you. 570-1949. Yes, Sienna? I just want to point something out. What? A couple weeks ago, we had a work party, a first work party initiation. Somebody is about to get slayed. You see this bus coming? Slayed. I'm going to do it. Slayed. I'm going to do it. I'm going to go there because this is proof that it's okay sometimes. That wasn't parents. Not parents. There were parents in there. You just said, we just got off the phone, Whoopi. You guys all agreed that when you're doing, it's a first impression. You're getting to know someone. You want to show them a sign of respect because you're just getting to know them. They're letting you into their home. Right now.
Right now, Lauren O'Brien is looking at Sienna like really... It's just really interesting because Sienna wasn't even there, but I would like to hear... Yes, Sienna! Yes, Sienna! You weren't even there! Well, the thing is, and I know that you guys will go back on your word here, because I wasn't there, but I hear a girl on our show got up and was dropping the F-bombs during a karaoke song about 20 times. You couldn't tell. You couldn't tell. And she did. And you guys all called me the next morning to tell me how funny it was. It was brilliant. And she sang it in front of our entire brand new, been on the station one week, staff, bosses, general manager, program director, sales people, promotions people, everyone. Context. HR. Okay. HR. Context. First of all, go ahead. I'm not saying it's the wrong thing to do. I obviously think it's hilarious and I give you props for doing it and I love you for it. But I'm just saying you guys are saying you shouldn't be dropping F words in a new place when you're trying to leave a good impression. It's the same thing. But you have to have context here. Oh, stop it. It's much more intimate, first of all, with parents. Second of all, half the people are already gone. Third of all, I actually asked the person that put the party on.
Was that offensive to you? Because if it was, I would have apologized. I probably would have publicly apologized if it was offensive. I was doing a bit. It was a bit. Now, let me explain. Because you know me and my quiet sensibilities. Yes, and if you had pulled me aside and said, look, not really. My wife and I were sitting there. See, and maybe the parents of this guy who emailed, maybe they didn't think it was a big deal. Parents. You have to think maybe that's true. Now, wait a minute. I would have been more OK if the girl had gotten up in front of parents at like a what do you call it, like a party like we were at and done that before casually dropping an F-bomb. But let me explain. So we go to the company thing. OK. And I'm there with my wife. I mean, we're all there, the whole company. And not only was the HR director there.
The HR director was directly in front of LOB. Oh, yeah. And the majority, 90% of the room, we had never even met before. Brand new work. 100%. Lauren is wearing a little sweater, okay? She's got on a little sweater. She's got her hair back and little buns. She's got on glasses. She looks like a demure little angel, right? Like a little librarian. Yeah. She looked like a little librarian. She did. It's a little bunny rabbit. And karaoke's going on. And it's like towards the end of the night. And everybody's kind of winding down. And there's like everybody. It's slow. The people getting up to do the karaoke. So Lauren gets up and does the scene from Old School. Genius. And I don't see it coming. And obviously I don't see it coming because it's demure little. blonde glasses librarian. She gets up all sheepishly. She's holding the microphone with both hands. They had to give me a second microphone because I was too quiet. Her voice was so little. They gave her another mic that would work better and she's holding her little mic with both hands and suddenly they start playing Total Eclipse of the Heart. And she does the turn around every now and then I get a lube. And she's like her voice is real soft and every once in a while she throws in the
Every now and then I effing a little bit. It's genius. It is genius. Now, when it happened, I didn't even, like, I honestly was like, did she just? It was just like the movie. It was just like the movie, which I hadn't seen, by the way. I know. I couldn't believe that. I couldn't either. I hadn't seen the movie. That's the Dan band. That's the Dan band. The Dan band, yeah. Now, all these people for the company, I'm telling you. 75% of them had no idea that it even happened. The other 25% were going, did she just? I had tears. Tears. Both my wife and I laughed as close as you can get to actually throwing up. Yeah. It was genius. You see, and I, let me just say, 100% Lauren. I give you props. That is hilarious. I would have loved something like that. But the thing also is, Mike, you wouldn't have loved a lot of people doing that most of the time. You would never appreciate it. Wait, wait, wait. I wouldn't want her to do that. I wouldn't want her to say that word in front of my parents. Stop! Let's see. Here's the deal, though. I see what you're saying. What are you talking about? But if my parents had been there that night, I wouldn't have had any problem with it. I'm being honest. I'm telling you 100% true. I got a question. What if it was me that did it?
It'd be different. I know. It'd be totally different. But that's what I'm saying. It wouldn't have been okay. Mikey would have filleted me. This girl in the email, maybe she was telling a joke or doing something and it was okay. It was one time. It's not coming out all the time. And part of the reason is, part of the reason with Lauren is you guys know her, which made it funnier. No, that is not what made it funnier. Yes, it is. Sienna, what made it funnier? was the look. Yes. I could have never met her in my life. The fact that this girl, in fact, she looked different that night than she normally looks. Right now, she looks like hip, young Lauren. I'm being serious. The night that she came, she was librarian Lauren. She was librarian. And so for her to get up, and I'm telling you, I'm being honest, if my parents had been there that night, not only would it have not offended me, it was as if we were at the comedy store. Okay. And I agree. I think it was hilarious. I think most people did like it. But yes, there probably were people that were offended that were in there because they don't like that, like this guy's parents. So I'm just trying to be the one helping out the girl who all of you guys say is wrong when we weren't in the situation. And if it becomes routine, yes, he should talk to her about it. But it was one time. Get over it.

You called my radio show. This is Jack Box. Right, sorry, Jack. I'm a little out of it. See, okay, you've caused an internal meat conflict inside of me.
Ron, I'm pretty sure neither one of us knows what you're talking about. Okay, right. The thing is, I can't decide which of your new grilled sandwiches I like better, the turkey, bacon, cheddar, or the deli trio. Okay. So I'll do this Adam Lambert thing for you in a second. But first, this just came up off the air. And I want to get people's take on this. So I'm saying I was telling CNN and Lauren and Woods and Jay off the air how it totally creeps me out that my brother Steve will drop the F-bomb in front of my mother-in-law.
Rebecca's mom. Rebecca's mom. That's weird. Why? Dude. He's a grown man. Oh, when he does it, it's so creepy. Because you know it bothers her? Yeah. No, no, no. I bet you it doesn't bother my mother-in-law. I bet you it doesn't bother my mother-in-law at all. You guys were raised. If I were taking a guess, she could care less. It makes me uncomfortable because I'm like, I don't say that in front of her. And like. But you don't say that in front of anyone. No, I don't. But still, that's weird. So if you're at a bar or you're out at a restaurant and there's someone swearing at the table next to you, are you going to go up and say, please don't swear? No, no, no. My son's sitting here, and he doesn't hear those words. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, dude, how many people go to a football game, and you can't stand that dude behind you that's like, F and F and B, you know, and your kid's there. You're just like, dude, shut up. I play in my men's league baseball team. I mean, there are guys that will strike out. I mean, we pay to play, right? Right. They'll slam their helmet down. They'll drop an MF on you, and there's 10 kids standing there just.
Your kids are going to hear the words in their lives. That's when you teach them not to say it. Of course they are. Yeah. Well, you have to. You do have to teach them how to say it. Not to say it. Not to say it. You have to teach them how to say it. Teach them the proper enunciation. Yeah. You have to teach. You know, there are going to be times where you're teaching them not to say it for sure. But what I'm saying is it still stinks that like. You just want to go to a football game. You don't want... Like, I don't need this Charger game to be a lesson for my boy. Right. Of course. Of course. I wish it didn't have to be a lesson for my kid today. Like, I just wanted to see a game and I got, you know... Now you got to play the profanity police. Super drunk fan behind you. Oh, dude. But anyway, so when my brother does it, it drives me crazy. Now, I bet you if we asked my mother-in-law, she would say... I didn't even notice. I've heard it before. I don't care. It doesn't bother me. Blah, blah, blah. She would probably say that. Makes me weirded out. But what was so crazy was I'm telling the story to all of them. And I go, I go. And yeah, my mom, she probably doesn't even care. And they're like, wait, he does this in front of like your mom, mom? And I said, no, my mom, my mother-in-law. And they're like, you call her mom? Yeah. And I did. Yeah, I call her mom. It's weird. And everybody.
thought everybody thinks it's weird i don't it's weird but it's it's also cool i think it's weird you do you've got a mom i know but like isn't that what you do they're a family now once you're married i think it's that's what i thought the deal was depends on how comfortable you are and if you're comfortable enough to call her mom and she most mother-in-laws would love for you to call them mom yeah i thought that was the thing that you do I don't know. That's the thing. Do you have the conversation of, what do you want me to call you now? Or does it come organically? And I called her mom before me and Rebecca were even married. That's weirder. That's weirder. Really? Nice to meet you, mom. No, I didn't do it like that. I didn't do it like that. When did you do it? What compelled you to do that? In all... Genuineness, I don't remember when I did the first time, but I know that I was really comfortable around her. And just, I know I was really comfortable around her. And I thought... Not that comfortable. Never that comfortable, sweetheart. I'm getting good at it, huh? Very good. You would never do that in front of your mother-in-law, right? Toot.
No. No. No. Not even my fiance would do that. He did in front of my sister. Oh, really? So an F-bomb is fine, but farting out of the question. One day he'll do it. One day he'll do it. So is it weird? Like 570-1949-949-mikey at gmail.com. Is it weird to call your in-laws mom or dad? Yes. It depends on if. If you both like it and you're comfortable with it, for me, not so much. What? Let's talk to me. It's weird, man. You know, my poor, poor wife lost both of her parents last year. And when I did meet him, it was Sue or it was Mrs. Bilbrey. And it took me months to be able to call her Sue. Like, months. And every time I said it, I was like, thanks, Sue. Oh, God, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Like, I felt so weird doing it. She's your mother. In-law. Yep. I'm not going to call her mom. It's weird to call your mother-in-law Mrs. something. Like, how informal is that? It's very formal. And it would be weird to be on-law. I mean, sorry, you know what I mean. It seems like you're a family now. You don't need to call her Mrs. something. I don't know. I don't know. And like I said, my wife lost both of her parents. And what would weird me out is if she called my parents mom and dad. I think that would, if she was like, hi, mom, hi, dad. Even though they are, like.
Literally now, they are her parents. I mean, that's all she has. If she called my mom mom, I think it would weird me out. Yeah. But you're not going to say, like, mother-in-law. She calls her Marsha. M-I-L. M-I-L. Yeah. M-I-L. I mean, Todd doesn't call my mom mom unless she brings him, like, a tray of food. He's like, thanks, mom. That's a joke. Yeah. But. No, but I think if he ever did, I would think it was cute. I would like it. I think my mom would love it. M1 Adrian thinks I'm weird. Adrian, are you there? Hey, how's it going, Mikey? Good. It's weird to call your mother-in-law mom? Yeah, you know what's funny is that, I don't know, I guess that's how I guess my parents are always telling me that you meet a dog who's home this year. Sorry, he's calling from jail. He's rolling down a wheelbarrow right now. Yeah, what's going on, Adrian? I'm watching my kid. You what? He's watching his kids. I'm watching my kid. Oh, you're watching your kid. That explains it. I have hands-free there, but it's not working, obviously. That's right. But, yeah, so my mom, my mother-in-law, my father-in-law, I still call him Mr. and Mrs. Bennett. Yep. I've been married for like four years. Weird. Weirder. Yeah, see, that's weird, too. I like it. It's respectful. Yeah, see, my parents like that, and I don't, if, God willing, if I'm ever a mother-in-law, I'm going to make it easy on whoever it is and say, you know what? Just call me Lauren.
Call me L-O-B. Just put it out there. L-O-B. What you want to be called. They can call me the kid. The 85-year-old kid. No, not really. Let me change your diapers. Do you want your son's wife to call you Mr. Woods? No, you call me the kid. No, they can call me Steve. Steve. Nobody calls me Steve. That's weird. I'm in a pickle. I don't want her to call me Woods either. What if she called you dad? Creepy. That's what my wife calls my mom and dad, too. I would love it, though. She says mom. She says dad. I would want if I had a son and his wife called me mom, unless I didn't like her, but hopefully I would like her. I would like it. It is your son, Mom. Mr. Woods, I think. Mr. Woods. Get out of here. Get out. Oh, my gosh. So stuffy. So stuffy. M1 Mike. Hey, a little bit different scenario, but I was helping my mother-in-law move some stuff. It was, like, just before me and my wife got married. And, you know, she was thinking all that, and my wife says, you know, it sounds like, oh, that's my Mikey. And her mother-in-law put her arm around me and says, my Mikey. And I didn't do anything.
Yeah, I didn't really respond, but I wanted to. Just like, oh, no. Yeah, that's creepy. Okay, wait. I can't really understand you, but I think you said that. Thank you for saying what I was. Yeah, I was like really confused. But I think you said that your mother-in-law said, oh, that's my Mikey. And your birth mother said, no, that's my Mikey. No, my wife said, that's my Mikey. My mother-in-law put her arm around me. They kind of pulled me in and said, my Mikey. Weird. Very weird. That's whatever. I've seen some adult films like that. And that's very weird. You know how it gets. I'll tell you how it is a little bit strange in my situation. It's when my mom and my mother-in-law are together. There you go. So many moms. Hi, mom. Hi, mom. Hi, mom. And I go, mom. Mom. And they both go. Yes. Yes. It's a mom sandwich. It's weird. That is strange. Oh, my mother signs her cards when she sends Jamie and I a card. Mom and Marsha. Really? Mom and Marsha? Yep. Every single time. After she puts Marsha, does she put in parentheses, just so you know it? Every time. Love you guys, Mom and Marsha. Every single time. We have one call. This is weird. We have one call from people, from a guy right now that says he calls the mother-in-law mom. One.
Everybody else says, I'm a weirdo? Yeah, we're going to shame you out of it. Shame me out of it. M1 Brian. Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. Well, I call my wife's stepmom, Marianne, but I call my wife's mom, Mom. I think because she cooks good. I don't know. I'm kind of stuck. You don't know why you started? Yeah, I don't know why I started. I've been dating my wife and married for so long. It kind of became, I didn't call her mom until we got married. But, you know, she always was kind of like a mother-like to me. But my wife's stepmom, who took me a while to kind of get used to, I still call her Marianne to this day. That's like 11 years down the road, you know? Like when you guys were growing up, didn't you have friends and you called their mom, mom? No. Yes. No. Sienna, it's regional. I said to Lauren off the air, is this regional? Lauren's like, no, no way. I'm thinking maybe it's regional. Maybe it's a thing. But you moved all around, right? I know, but I grew up in California. I'm still open to the idea that it's not regional at all. I'm getting emails from one of my best friend's moms that I've known. I've known her since I was four. And I'm getting two emails from her this morning. Like, I'm very close with her. I'm very close with a lot of my friend's parents. And if I, you know, she's like my second mom. And I tell her, like, when I sign cards, I mean, it's like. Now.
You guys got to tell me because Lauren and Woods were raised in New Jersey and Dallas. Texas and half Connecticut. So I had a little bit of both. So let me ask you, would it have been very strange for any of your friends or for you to have called any of your friends' moms, mom? Yes. Yes. Yes. Maybe a lot of people called their parents' friends by their first names. But never mom. That's weird as hell, too. Then I'm telling you, it might be regional. Hey, Betty. Hey, Mike. I mean, that's weird. It's weird. Because when I was growing up, a lot of people would call their friends moms. If you know them really well, you know, you would call them mom. Anytime I would visit my family in Texas, I would notice. I mean, sometimes the guys my cousin would call their friends. mom by their first name, but the dad was always Mr. Jones. Because in Texas, they're taught to be so formal, ma'am, sir, all the time. Isn't it real formal, right? Yes, ma'am. No, sir. I still do that. 570-1949 or text Mikey. Now the phones are blowing up off the hook right now. M1 Dan. Yeah.
Go ahead. So I, well, by the way, I love the new show. Thank you, brother. Thanks, man. Loving it. And I grew up, well, I was born in San Diego. My parents, or my dad was in the military, so I grew up all over. But mainly first grade to eighth grade, I grew up in the South. And you call everybody Mr. and Mrs. You have to. Yeah. Like, you have to. Like, you never call an adult by their first name. For sure. And so, like, I come back to San Diego for high school, and then everybody calls their... Like, one of my buddies even calls his dad by his first name. Regional. That's weird. Regional. Hey, Mike. Like, he doesn't even call his dad by his dad. That's weird. Now, that is a little strange. My dad calls his mom by her first name. Really? Yeah. I think it was ever since he was really little, they were at a party, and he was yelling, Mom, Mom, and she couldn't hear. So it was just, Flora, Floored, Floored. It turned into Floored. My dad calls his mom Floored. Her name is Floored. Really? Uh-huh. We do it as a joke in my house. We go, Marsha. Yeah, we do it. What, Marsha? Really? Yeah, as a joke. But that don't happen very often, right? It's Mom or Mama. Let me tell you something.
One of my kids ever popped off with a mic? You listen to me, Mike. Yeah. Not my real dad, Mike. Give him the milk. M1 Kevin. How you doing? Yeah, we call my in-laws, all the brothers-in-laws or son-in-laws, call them by their grandparent nicknames, which is Honey and Papa, just naturally. Everyone just, you know. That's how it rolls. Yep. I've heard that before, too. Yeah. Yeah. Mama and Papa, I had in my family, and everybody just called Mama and Papa. And they called each other Mama and Papa. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. It just flows naturally. And I agree with Mikey. I think it's a regional thing, too. I didn't realize it until today that it isn't a possibility that it be regional. Because I just thought... You know, you always think whatever you grew up with was the thing. You guys are so laid back here. We're very laid back. You got to remember, you got to really remember there is Southern California and then there's the rest of the country. You got to remember that. That's true. There's Texas and there's the rest of the country, too. And that's true, too. I want to know if Jay is, I mean, he has kids that are older. Does anyone, does your kids call you Jay? Their friends? My friend, their friends call me Jay. Really? I mean, I'm in the surf. Hey, Mr. Isbell, is it your wave, sir?
It's not going to happen. But even your wife, do they call your wife by her first name? Yes, Kim. When you guys are all on the half pipe, they call you Jay? I think it's just, it's a lot more informal here. Well, dude, you got to realize, like, he is the most laid back. No question. Jay is 100% like a mini version of my dad. Really? My dad's the exact same way. I'm from Texas, though. I know. And even in Texas, I mean, you know, he's right. It's a little stiffer. But here, everybody's so young at heart. M1 Sky 10, you there? Yo, Mike, M1 Sky 10. Now, are you actually the dude that flies Sky 10? Yeah, yeah, it's James. Yeah, man, this guy flies the helicopter for Channel 10, man. Nice. What's up, bro? Hey, I'm doing real good. Hey, I've only been married for six years, but my wife calls both my parents by mom and dad, and I call her mom, Mom. Where are you from? East County. Did you grow up here? Born and raised, and all of our family lives like within five miles of each other. Regional? Yeah, we see each other. So usually once a week, and it's not weird at all. Thank you, man. Thank you for the call. It's a regional thing. It's not strictly regional, though. No? No. I've heard it done. I'm from the East Coast. I've heard it done, just not as common. Even in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, he's like, you know, he calls him by his first name, and then he goes, Dad. Yeah, but he calls him by his first name first, and then he calls him Dad. Then he calls him Dad. I forget what his first name is.
It's brilliant. It'd be an awkward thing to start, you know, like, do you have that conversation? And that's why I can't believe you don't remember, because I can't imagine this one day saying to an in-law, so mom, and like having it be normal, like they did in the movie Father of the Bride. All of a sudden, he's calling Steve Martin dad, and he's like, what? I hear you're a real whiz at the barbecue, dad. And you see Steve Martin's face, look at him like, who the hell are you, dude? I've known you for two days. Should we try to get my mother-in-law on the line? Yes, absolutely. I guarantee she loves Steve Martin. What is her name, by the way, her first name? Her name's Jean. Jean. But I would, you know, I don't think I've... Have you ever called her Jean? No, I don't know. Here. Here's what we're going to do. We'll take a break and we'll try to get my mother-in-law on the line. Or mom. Yeah, we'll try to get my mom on the line. Which one? And we'll see... What if it's been uncomfortable to her this whole time and she's never said... She loves it. 100%. You have nothing to worry about. We'll see what she says next. FM 94.9. Mike, I wish we never had to break. Our best stuff happens off the air. I even got the general manager involved in that conversation. I was like, it's my ease. And he's like, that's corn, right? I said, yes.
In Spanish, it's corn. That's what I was talking about. Just like hola in Spanish means hello. Why else? I said before I left the room, I'm going to look it up in Spanish. You're going to grab your Spanish to English dictionary? I went on Google. You said Google it. I said, okay. You said Google. Well, me and Woods go, do you mean maze? Maze. And she goes, no. It's maize. She goes, maize. She's screaming, maize, maize. And we're like, huh. You said you pronounce it maize. And I'm like, why is there an I with an accent? Because you have white skin. That's why. That is the truth. Dude, you're from Texas. You don't know Spanish. I know Spanish. I've been raised right by the border. I don't know what we're yelling about. Neither do I. Look at Lauren. She almost. She got her, dude. She's done. I got her. She's done. I got her. She's done. Oh, that's awesome. Hot. Hot searing coffee coming out of her nose. Hot searing coffee out of her nose. Oh, my gosh. I don't know what we're yelling about. I need to start sleeping more. I'm exhausted when I leave here. Very grouchy. I'm telling you, man. I don't sleep enough. That almost went all over the mic. Wow. That's so bad.
And my computer. Oh, that's awesome. Is your mom on the phone? Oh, we're trying. He's trying. Which one? Which mom? I don't know what we're yelling about. That's hilarious. Which mom do we have? Well, we're working on getting my mother-in-law on the line. I thought it was just mom. He's explaining. I got you. Oh, Rebecca says try the home. You don't have it? You got her? Oh, you got her on the line. Oh, he's got her. Hi, Mom. Hi, Mikey. Hi, Jean. Hi, Mama Jean. Hi, how are y'all? Good. So, were you listening? Do you know what the topic is? Yes, I am listening, and I love it that you call me Mom. I knew it. Now, I don't remember. I don't remember, but do you remember when I started to call you Mom? You know, I really don't remember when. I kind of want to say that maybe about the time that Jake was born. Oh, really? See, I thought I called you that before we were married, but maybe I did start calling you that way after. I don't think before you were married, but after at some point. But somehow it seems like when you have kids, that's when you start feeling a little more comfortable with each other, you know? Yeah. What does Jake call you? What does Jake call me? Calls me. Calls you what? Grammy.
See, and I'm surprised that you don't say Grammy, Mike, because normally that's what you pick up, is what your kid says. Yeah, what Jake calls you, you call her. So Grammy, you know. Really? Yeah. When you talk to Jake, you call her Grammy, right? Yeah, I say Grammy. Yeah. Now, and Jake calls the different grandparents different things. Yeah. Like he calls Gene Grammy and he calls my mom Nana. Yeah. No, I guess that's normal that you would still say mom. But when you're talking to Jake, you always say Grammy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Mike, I completely understand this discussion because I remember being in agony trying to figure out what to call my mother. Right. What did you call her? Well, we were married for like 13 years and I never was really comfortable calling her mom. And I wasn't comfortable calling her Betty. So I tried not to say her name. Hey, you. That's the boat I'm in. That's what Lauren does. Lauren just tries not to say her boyfriend's mother's name. Yes. Just, hey, hey, hey, hey. Yeah, exactly. It was uncomfortable. Hey, you in the purple. I feel disrespectful calling, like, well, I'm an adult, but calling an adult. By their first name. By their first name, yes.
I don't know. It seems like they ought to teach us that when you're an adult, it's okay to call. I know. That's the truth. I don't even second guess it. Thank you, Mom. Okay, bye. Talk to you later. Bye. See, I knew. I mean, I feel like they feel a warmth or more loving that you feel comfortable to say that. Yeah. So I should tell Jamie to call my parents mom and dad? Yeah. They are. They are. They literally are. And I think that they would like it. I think they would too. Not only that, they are her mother-in-law and father-in-law. My mom likes her better anyway. No, but that's the thing. I think that's perfect. You guys have been married for a while now and been together for even longer. Long time. And it's just like your mom and dad, without a doubt, love Jamie. And it would bring the family closer if Jamie felt like she could say that, I think. I think she'd be weirded out, though. Really? We'll talk to her tomorrow. It's going to be weird. It's going to be awkward, the transition, doing it. But I think overall it would be nice. Okay. Maybe I'm on board. So Adam Lambert is all over YouTube today for a performance that he did. And he's doing this performance. And in the front row, apparently there's a girl that is on her phone.
Adam doesn't like it. No. He called her out? No. He called her out, and not only did he call her out, but he basically, he stops everything. Oh. Okay, wait. Sorry. Sorry. Can you get off your phone? You're yelling into it. Sorry. We're going to start over. Oh. Sorry, guys. Really? Dominoes, we deliver. You're not watching TV, honey. It's a live show. Oh, my gosh. Get over yourself. I just went from liking him to despising him. Yeah, he's a total pud. I always liked him. Devil's advocate. Good. I'm going to try. Good luck. Good luck. Even Sienna and I agree. I know. Okay? You're up to three, pal. I'm going to give it a shot. Okay. He said, you're yelling. Now, dude has ear monitors in his ear. How loud must she have been talking? Isn't anybody here going to say,
How rude is it to be on your phone while somebody's performing? What if it was an emergency, though? An emergency is totally something different. Do you know how many gigs I've played with people talking? You're at a bar. What do you want? Everybody watching you? You got to have everybody looking at you? Hey, listen. It's one thing if it's I am, I am, I am, and the band is, like, rocking out. It was me and another dude on acoustics. It's a slow song. Can you guys stop, please? I've had just me on stage, and people are having full-on conversations. It's like, you can't. The minute you turn on your audience, the whole audience is going to turn on you. He just made himself look like a giant D. Giant. Can you get off your phone? Oh, God. Because I'm sure he's never talked on his little pink phone anyway. Domino's, we deliver. You're not watching TV, honey. Think about professional athletes. They get screamed at. You suck. Oh, yeah. Rise above. And you have to go through it. That's part of your deal, dude. That's what you do. Rise above, Sally. You'll be fine. Sally is right. Isn't it rude, though, to talk on your phone? It could have been an emergency. And that could have been his number one fan. And he just, like, ruined her life. Yeah, she obviously had front row tickets to Adam Lambert. God knows why.
It's not some clown that, you know, she's in the front row. She's probably a big fan of you. What if it wasn't an emergency? What if her mom was calling her like eight times and she just had to be like, look, mom, I can't talk. I'm watching my idol. Lauren, not everybody's mom does what your mom does during the show, okay? If it is, get up and get out. Go answer your phone somewhere else. No way. She's going to lose the front row spot. What if it wasn't an emergency? Who cares? It's a free country. You're on stage. You're not the president. So no one's going to say. No. There's not. I'm having a ball. I'm here watching my favorite dude dance around. Lauren, you're a stand-up comedian. Don't you think it's rude when people are talking while you're out there? I would, but it doesn't matter. They're not the ones on stage. I am. I'm the only one that needs to be accountable for what's going on. I'm there. Wait, they don't have to be accountable for... That's why they threw the... But them being on the phone, that's not a performance that we all need to worry about. That's their own personal business. If they stood up and started heckling me and actually like...
disrupting the act, I'd have to address it. She was disrupting the act. Not purposefully. Yelling on her phone. I didn't hear her in the clip. I didn't either. He had earplugs in his ear. You can't hear her. You just see her. He obviously did. He wouldn't even have been able to stop unless he did hear her. He did not hear her. He saw her lips. He saw her. I guarantee you he saw her. What are you doing? We think you're good enough to do. Yeah, you need to get all eyes on me, girl. I am, was almost the American idol. Yeah, almost. Me and my man Scara. You know what's worse, though, is being the person that's sitting right next to her. Oh, yeah. Everybody looks. Without a doubt. Everyone's glaring at you. Can we hear it again? Okay, wait, sorry, sorry. Can you get off your phone? You're yelling into it. The girl's... My mom is dying right now. Exactly. But what if she wasn't? What if she was yelling, oh, this is the big thing. It's rude. You know I have one word for Adam Lambert, right? What? Do it. You know what he could have done that probably would have been a lot funnier and people would have given him a break? What? Is if he had gone up and been like, let me see that phone. Grabbed the phone. He had talked on it. Genius. And been like, what's up? I'm just singing a song. Everything cool? You want to hear some of it? That's genius. That would have been funny. Then you would have looked at them and been like,
That dude, he doesn't take himself so seriously. And then the girl would have been like, I should get off the phone. I'm going to ask you guys a couple questions here. Okay. And I want you to pretend that right now in your back is a battery. And the battery says on it, emotion. I'm taking that battery out right now. Okay. I'm going to ask you a couple questions. Lauren O'Brien, I'm going to start with you because you're a comedian. Okay. Is it rude to talk on your phone during a performance? You just want like yes or no? In the front row, a yes or a no. Yes. Woods, you are a, you've performed music, you're in a band. I have been. You've been in a band, you've performed on stage. I have. If you're doing a slow acoustical number, okay, and in the front row is somebody talking on their phone, would you consider that rude? Yes. Sienna. Yeah. You're a good looking 24 year old. Thank you. That's all I wanted to say. Thanks.
I've been on stage before. Come on. What have you? I've been in talent shows. That's right. I've been in plays. Okay. I was Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. You were Jesus? Yes. Nah. I call my mom. Really? Call her. Okay. Now, when you were playing Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar. Yes. And a Superman shirt on. What's the fuss? Tell me what's happening. What's the fuss? Tell me what's happening. What's the fuss? Tell me what's happening. I'm telling you, it's the truth. So, what if you were right in the middle of your, and you look down, and there's somebody talking on their cell phone right there in the front row. Is that rude? Yes or no? Yes. Okay, now. But. Now, hang on. Hang on. Hang on. I'm going to let you put the emotion battery back in in just a second. It's killing me without it. I know. I know. The emotion battery is killing you without it in. But all I wanted to do, nothing kills L.O.B. like that. Nothing. Nothing kills her like a good that. As long as we can agree that it is rude to talk in your cell phone, that's all I really wanted. And the reason is because I will agree with you that he handled it the wrong way. Yes. Right. And when he did.
He sounded very diva-like. He did. He does that just talking normally. Yeah, he just, you know, he kind of, I think he handled it in the wrong way. But I'm just glad that we can all agree. It is rude. Wouldn't stop the song, though. Play through it, dude. I've had to do it. You play in smoky bars, people drinking, throwing stuff. Like, don't people throw stuff at you? Absolutely, dude. It's called Rise Above, dude. Don't be a sissy. I agree. Don't be a sissy. I agree with you. I think we can all agree on that. All right, you can put your emotion batteries back in. Thank you. Oh, I missed it. Good question. I missed her crying. Let's sit here. I got Billboard Magazine's Sexiest Women in Music. Woo! Megan Fox. She's not in music. Hillary. Hillary. Hillary number one. But for Volvo, a brand that has always been synonymous with safety and trust, it's simply what we believe. As our founder said over 80 years ago, cars are driven by people. The guiding principle behind everything we make at Volvo, therefore, is and must remain safety. This principle to build beautifully designed cars that protect you and the ones you love still holds true. Volvo.
The brand you can trust has now made the cost of owning a car as safe as the cars we build. There's more to life than a Volvo. That's why you drive one. Hi, this is Jack, founder of Jack in the Box. Let's go to Ron on line one. Ron. Yeah, what happened? You called my radio show. This is Jack Box. Right, sorry, Jack. I'm a little out of it. See, okay, you've caused an internal meat conflict inside of me. Ron, I'm pretty sure neither one of us knows what you're talking about. Okay, right. The thing is, I can't decide which of your new grilled sandwiches I like better, the turkey, bacon, cheddar, or the deli trio. Okay. I mean, I love the whole new grilled sandwich thing with the toasted bread, so one has roasted turkey and bacon, but the other, roasted turkey, sliced ham, and salami. Well, they're both delicious. I know, man. I'm torn. There's like a civil war going on inside the country of Ron right now, and I'm not sure which side I should join. Ron. Yeah. You've got some bigger issues, buddy. But right now, I need to turn it over to Tracy Alvarez, a real-life crew member from Austin, Texas. Try Jack's new grilled sandwiches, the turkey bacon cheddar, or the Deli Trio. And on Tuesday, February 23rd only, get one free with the purchase of a large drink. One offer per person at participating restaurants. Hey, Miguel. Yes? You know, I think it's funny that you say cuss.
Cuss? Cuss. What do you mean? Don't cuss. Don't cuss? You say curse? Curse. I say curse. Yeah. That's a regional thing. A little observation. While we were talking about regional things. I say all of the above. Sorry for the foxhole, rabbit hole. Is cuss not a... It's a very southern thing, I think. Cuss. He's a cusser. I would say cuss over curse. Curse sounds like fancy. I'm very fancy. It's true. A couple things that we wanted to get to before we split. One of them was that Billboard magazine's got its list of sexiest women in music. You know, men are on the list too, Mike. Do not discriminate. Sorry, can we stop this for a second? Yeah. Yes, men are on the list as well. And there's some sexy ones. Oh, I just looked at the first one on the list and I'm upset. Enrique Iglesias. It's a dude. Enrique Iglesias. Try to guess the number one person on the list. Phil Collins. Lauren got it. Adam Lambert. Oh, git. Are you serious? I already am over this list. Is that true? It's over. Yes, it says he is. It holds no water anymore. Enrique Iglesias is on the list. Lauren, is he sexy? No. No. You're thinking about it? No, I think I thought he was good looking, but not sexy. But he's a good looking guy. I am upset. He's attractive.
Chris Brown is on this list. Oh, really? Pastor at North Coast Church? That's a trip. What a trip that is. I won't even listen to one of his songs now. I won't either, dude. Scumbag. How did they even consider him for the list? Nick Jonas, Justin Timberlake, and Enrique Ganglacios. That's your top five. So that obviously wasn't based on musical talent. Yep. From a straight point of view, I would say that out of those men that you named, I think Justin Timberlake's the best looking at all. I met him in person. He's not that good looking. Enrique Iglesias is good looking. You met Justin Timberlake? Justin Timberlake. He wasn't that great in person? No. Hey, what's up, girl? Different from what you see on television? I think pretty much the same, but not a big bunch of fancy lights and cheering fans around him. Really? Yeah. And it changed it? Oh, it destroyed it. What changed? How was he different looking?
He was just so plain looking. Really? His voice was kind of lackluster, just a little bit. Really? Yeah. But I was like, I'm embarrassed to admit that I was kind of, I went through a really weird Justin Timberlake phase. Who didn't? Everybody did. So yeah, I knew like weird facts about him and I brought it up to him, so probably could have weirded him out. You did? A little bit, yeah. Like what? It was when UNC, the basketball team, won the NCAA championship. Yeah. And it was that night that they won. And I saw him out at his club in L.A. And I knew that he was a UNC fan. So I was like, yeah, right up. And like all that stuff. Right. And I was like, because you're a big Tar Heels fan, right? Yeah. He's like, yeah, girl, you know I is. You know I is. What's up, girl? You like my club? You like my club? What's up, girl? His voice was deeper than that. Girl, you like my club? What's up, girl? You digging my club? His girlfriend could take him down. Girl, what's up? What's up, girl? You like the tall heels, too, girl? What's up? What's up, girl? Yeah, Justin. Did anyone notice that his girlfriend, Jessica Biel, is extremely buff? She's ripped. Amazing. In that movie yesterday, Valentine's Day? Yo, girl, you've been lifting weights, haven't you, girl? What's up, girl? She has bigger guns than he does. Woof. Okay, guys, try to guess the sexiest women. Wait, I want to talk to Justin differently. Hey, what's up, Mike? What's up, man? What's up, homeboy? What's up, man? What's up, girl? What's up, boy?
Justin. Yo, what's up, dog? What's up, man? What you laughing at, boy? I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing with you. 100%. That's not. It totally is. See, I didn't know who that was in here. What's up, boy? I thought that was a Jackson 5 member. That's why I wasn't. I was like, I don't know. Tito, is that you? That is Justin Timberlake. Dead on. If you guys never heard Justin Timberlake talk. Dead on. 100%. Have you never seen the Punk'd? Where Ashton punts, he's like, yo, dog, man, they're taking my guitars, dog. Can you believe it, dog? They're coming and taking my guitars, man. As he's weeping, like the little Sally that he is. Dog, dog, get out of my face, dog. Dog, get out of my face. Dead on. Dead on. No. Okay, sexiest women. M1's call in. Sexiest women. Try to guess the sexiest women. In music? In music. Let's see. Joan Jett, Dolly Parton. Number one and number two. Loretta Lynn. Loretta Lynn. Pat Benatar. Pat Benatar. I'm taking this to you. Debbie Harry. Okay, okay. I know who. I know who. Beyonce. Fergie. Beyonce's number two. Fergie. No. Yes, finally. Miley? Yes, number three. Taylor Swift. No, number nine.
There's some really good ones on here. Madonna. Heidi Montag. Not Madonna. There's no way Madonna's on that list. Because she's 70 now. Does Kim Kardashian sing anything? No. There's a girl that looks a lot like her on the list, though. Oh, the Pussycat Dolls girl. Yep, Nicole Scherzinger. Justin, who's the hottest chick in music right now? Dude, doll, come on, doll. You know it's Beyonce. Beyonce. Is Beyonce on the list, Sienna? We've already said it. She said she's number two. Oh, yeah, number two. Yeah. Fergie's on there? No. Thank God. The number one I don't agree with, but she used to be. She used to hate Justin. Britney? Britney? What? Nuh-uh. Britney's body's looking pretty good. Britney's on there? Yeah, she's number one. Really? Mm-hmm. They say Britney Spears is the sexiest woman?
Billboard magazine. This was voted by people. Yo, Mike, I got that, dog. I got that. Okay, thank you, Justin. You never really got it. I got it. No, I gots it. You never went all the way. I got it. Yeah, you didn't get it. I got it. Justin, it's weird when you scream it out like that. Hey, relax. Tito. Thank you. Tito. It's more like it. Is it? Let's hear yours. Give me a couple more. Jessica Simpson. No. Really? No. Christina Aguilera. Oh, yeah. No. Oh, Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga's on there. Oh, really? She is a butter face. I think she has man parts, maybe. I don't know. She looks very dude-ish to me. Woodsy. Yeah. You're telling me. No, do not like her. Christina Aguilera. Not a fan, dude. Have you seen her recently? She's beautiful. Colby Calle. No matter what they say, she's beautiful. Colby Calle. Calle. That joke. Is she on there? Yeah. No. Okay, think of like the most beautiful blonde woman. Rebecca Esparza. She's getting married. Faith Hill. She's engaged. I don't want to say one big thing. It'll give it away. That's... I do my thing into the side of his pretty lady. Oh, Carrie Underwood. Oh, yeah. Carrie Underwood, of course. And what about... She's sexy. I'm on tonight and my hips don't last. Oh, Shakira. No idea.
Shakira! Oh my gosh, that's the best video. She's amazing. If there was a police sketch artist in here right now, couldn't tell them what Shakira... Shakira is a hottie boom body. Couldn't tell you what she looks like at all. Guys just crashed their car because you said that. Don't know. Let me get a picture. Another one on the list is marrying Russell Brand. Who? Russell Brand is the... The guy we saw in that preview yesterday. He's from Forgetting Samar, so he's brilliant. Yeah, he's engaged to someone, and it is. He's on the list? She is. I can't remember who it is. Who is it? Amy Winehouse. Katy Perry. Oh, yeah, Katy Perry. I like her. So out of the loop. I'm getting a Shakira picture up for Mike. You're going to die. Oh, mamacita. She looks really pretty there. She's gorgeous. She's phenomenal. I don't think she looks, you know. Not necessarily my cup of tea, but I understand. You should watch the video. Mikey won't like it. Here's another. This is all grody, dirty, filthy. He won't like it. You were talking to me. I can't see. She's wearing less clothes in this one. Definitely not my thing. Farty. Farty? Sorry. Can I tell you what that means in my mind? Yes, please do. Skeevy. There are, not saying it to be mean. Just saying.
That there's a certain sometimes where I go, oh, if they're coming out of the restroom, I'm like, oh, it's going to be bad in there. Really? I love that you said that. Shakira seems so flawless to me. That's how Aguilera is to me. Are you? I would not follow her into a bathroom. Are you? I wouldn't follow. Oh, my God. No. Never. Never. I love this conversation. Dude, you're going to go in there and you know what it's going to be like? Bath and body works in there. I'll be making a list tonight of party girls. Oh, no, you're so wrong. Oh, you're going to be more wrong. Number one on my list. The last girl who made the list is Rihanna. She's a pretty girl. Very pretty girl. It's more like Victoria's Secret in there. Absolutely not. Oh, yes. If Victoria's Secret was duty and fish sauce. You're such an awful, horrible, awful, horrible. I stole that from an M1. I loved it. Duty and fish sauce. Yeah, duty covered in fish sauce. All right.
Thank you for that. We got to go. That's how we end it. On that note. I'm so sorry. The lovely and talented Hillary is coming up next. Where is she? I don't know. Where is Hillary? Cross talk time. There's some cross talk. Where is Hillary? Make it right. There she is. She always makes an entrance. That's right. Remember when I just like walk in? You can. Always walk in. You can. You can always just come in. That's. How you doing, Holly? Great. How are you guys? Good. How's the hubby? How's the hubby? He's hanging in there. He's doing better. He's not? No, he's okay. He's on a lot of painkillers. He keeps me out. It takes him getting used to not being able to talk at all. No talking, no Frenching, no eating. Please don't say that word. Slip it in there. Please don't say that word. He's going to need to brush his teeth for like a day. We already have the dentist appointment booked for like six weeks and one day. I bet. I bet. Hillary's up next. Enjoy the rest of your day. We'll be back here tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. Mikey Show's out.
