Jay gets a new mic and no longer sounds like a robot! Tony Kornheiser ridicules Hanna Storm’s outfit and gathers a diverse reaction. Women are now allowed to be on Navy submarines for the first time ever. We learn that whatever you do, don’t call Lauren a broad. Mikey reads an email asking if it’s cool to wear fake wedding rings to get the slobbering perv’s off your back. Woods slays it next as “The Incorporator” prank calling Jethro’s bait shop. Yes, I made up the Jethro name, could have been Toothless Larry’s bait shop, either way it was a hilarious bit. Mikey can’t stop fingering his huge red zit. Lauren tells the horrifying story of freaking out when “She accidentally got beef in her mouth”. The next segment asks the crew and listeners “What Have You Done That You’re Not Proud Of” and M1s call in with some doozies. Mikey talks about his golfing outing. Tom Tom Girl reveals she’s lonely so Mike sets her up with Movie Phone Guy! Not only is Woods not a hippy because he doesn’t recycle but he takes heat for chewing anything and everything plastic within his reach. Neil Diamond returns to bag on Lord of the Rings geeks in song. Lastly Sienna reads news about things that are bad for your heart to which Woodsie blurts out “speedballs”!

KBCT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Welcome to the program, everybody. You can call in if you want to. Our phone number is 570-1949. You can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. What day are we on, Woodsy? It's day 18 today. There you go. Very exciting. 18th day on the air. We got a lot of stuff to tell you about, man. Day three for me. Day three meaning that you get married in three days. Yeah. T minus three. T minus three. Sienna is getting married in three days. I can't believe it. Amazing. How's UJ doing with it?
Yeah, he's doing great, except there's supposed to be a huge storm coming in. His friends are all coming from Pennsylvania, and they're saying this storm is quote-unquote crippling. Really? So now we have more people flying in tonight, earlier, and staying with us when they were supposed to be coming in tomorrow and staying at a hotel. Wow. Yeah, to avoid it, because they're worried that if they stay, they're not going to be able to make it. Smart. Is your fiancé okay with us calling him UJ, Uncle Jerry? He doesn't care. He doesn't care? Yeah. We went to pick up my car the other night, last night, at a... And the guy called him UJ, and he's like, what? And the other guy working there was like, oh, that's Bronco Joey, huh? You know, I don't really think you look like him. And I said, he's a lot better looking, right? And they said, yeah. Spreading like wildfire. It is. It is. That's awesome. I love it. Okay, let's get this thing rolling. My name's Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 39 years old. Woodsy is our sports guy. And just... Let me tell you, yesterday when we went golfing, he's one of these guys that can play guitar. He's very funny. And then he gets out there and I watch him hit a golf ball straight about 200 yards. And I go, you know, man. It's a renaissance, man. Yeah. Dude, those clubs that you have are amazing. And we're going to talk all about it. Yeah, we'll talk about it in a little bit. But I was swinging the wrenches pretty good yesterday. He was. He definitely was. There is no doubt.
About that. And we got another surprise for you to tell you in about a minute, too. We got Lauren on the show. Lauren is 29 years old. And wait till we tell you about her story last night. A little bit later on. Yeah, it's quite a story, right, Lauren? Yeah. We'll tell you about it. We'll tell you about it a little bit. Sienna is our news girl. She is 24 years old. And like she said, she's getting married in a couple of days. It's the biggest thing going on in her life. She's, I think, handling it pretty well. I'm feeling better today. Yeah. I got a lot done yesterday. Dude. Did you guys see her list? Her to-do list? Yeah. Looked like the Ten Commandments. Well, I know we have a long meeting today. It does look like the Ten Commandments. I was running around like a mad woman yesterday. I got a lot done, though. I'm feeling good. So I know we have a long meeting today. So I wanted to get as much done yesterday as I could. Yeah. Don't get me wrong. I still have to pick up Todd's wedding band today and all the groomsmen and bridesmaids gifts. Why doesn't Todd go do it? I was thinking it. Didn't say it. Glad you said it. Thank you.
Well, that is definitely to the point. Todd's like, shut up, Woods. No, no, no. His main thing that he's been working on is the house because we have this back third bedroom that when we moved into a new house over the summer and the back bedroom hasn't gotten any attention. Right. So because all these people are coming to stay with us, his job has been to paint it, to fix it up. He put all the furniture in it. Like, last night, it's done. And it looks amazing. So he's been working really hard on that for the last, like, two weeks. So I have to give him that. That's awesome. Yeah. Very handy. We have a surprise for you. Jay, we have now gotten a working microphone for him, and we're going to try it for the first time. How's this sound? It's like Barry White in there. I'm no longer yelling at you. How crazy is that? It sounds so different. I know. It's like Barry White. I know. Hey, baby, how are you doing over there? I think Jay should, like, sing a little song. Sing us a song, Jay. Come on, Jay. Hey, dude, come on, do it. I'm in the mood for love. I changed my mind. Let's put him back in the well. Is that John Mayer in there? Yeah, I think I changed my mind. That sounds good, man. Sounds really good.
So there is some real big stuff happening in the world, and you can call in about this, 570-1949, or you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. The Tony Kornheiser thing is probably the biggest thing going right now. It's huge. Tony Kornheiser used to be one of the guys on Monday Night Football when they switched to ESPN. And he's no longer on there, right, Woodsy? He's no longer a Monday Night Football guy. And they take him off the broadcast? Dude, I thought he was. I thought they took him off the broadcast. He's definitely still PTI, right? He does PTI, which is where he got in a little trouble for talking about a colleague. Now, did this just happen because he is, what, suspended? Yeah, he's been suspended for two weeks, and it's pretty riveting audio. Yeah, yeah, yeah, here it is. I want to point out, for those of you looking at ESPN, I'd like to point out. Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She's got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt. Way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. I love it. And she's got on her typically very, very tight shirt. So she looks like she's got sausage casing wrapped around her upper body. Wow. I mean, you know, honestly, I know she's very good.
And I know I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people. I point out that, you know, people who say that they lost 50 or 60 pounds have actually gained all the weight back. Yeah, I mean, I'm not supposed to do anything like that, so I won't. Can you? Sausaging? Was that her? He works with her. Sausage casing. Sausage casing. It sounded like a female voice. Was that her? Yeah, that's what I was saying. Okay, because it sounded like I heard, like in the very beginning, I thought I heard a hee-hee, which made me think, oh, you know, like they're communicating and she can hear all this at the time or, you know, I don't know. Yeah, he started his suspension on Monday, and he is suspended from PTI, which is his show, for two weeks. What was he thinking? I don't know. Well, I mean, let's say, for instance, that you're her. You know, you're, like, you work there. You know, you do your thing. And, like, all of a sudden, Kornheiser's, like, he's slaying you. Oh, my gosh. I mean, he's just laying you out. Yep. And you're like, whoa. What did I do? Did I steal something from you and I didn't know it?
Yeah. Like, you know, I didn't get the memo. You hate me. He has called her to apologize since and is not releasing any details of how that call went. But, yeah, he's out for a couple of weeks. That was like one hit after the other. I know. I think it was cruel. Yes. I think it was cruel. Yeah. Sienna, are you down? I mean, he should have done it, but. He thought it was funny. I thought it was funny. Oh, man. I mean. He basically came out and said, nobody should take anything I say about them personally because I am a troll. I mean, if I were her and I was sitting there, I'd be like, who are you, jabroni? What's this tie you're wearing? You know? Yeah. And then it would have been fine. See, what I can't get is, Woodsy, do you know if she was like split screen or if he was, you know, talking like she could respond? The way he made the comments on the radio. So I think what happened. That wasn't on PTI? Right. No, I think what happened was he was on the radio and he was talking about, you know, where he works and his colleagues. And he goes, oh, and then, you know, you saw Hannah Storm today if you watch SportsCenter. Right. And you saw her in her blah, blah, blah. And he goes on to, you know, basically say she's got sausage casing around her body, which is unbelievable. Well, maybe he's trying to bring in the ratings. Could be. Maybe. You know, check it out. I mean.
For all we know, he could have said the same thing to her and they laughed about it earlier that day. I actually brought that up, Sienna. Like, you know, because we were talking about it before we went on the air. And I said, it's so crazy what he's saying. Yeah. You know, when you're talking about a woman and you say that her body looks like she's got a sausage casing. And you're talking about a woman. Right? Ballsy. Oh, yeah. Well, see, I'm on the other fence with that. especially because it's a chick, I don't think that's ballsy because it's a chick. Like, I'm like, oh, dude, you're a dude. That's what I mean. You know people are not going to like you, especially women now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I meant by that. I get what you're saying. He could have said it about Barkley and Charles Barkley. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But when you're, like, everybody knows that, like, if you're making fun of a woman's weight. Hi, Jay. Yeah, that was Jay. We're going to figure that little thing out. But anyway, you're talking about a chick's body? Like, you know it's going to hurt her feelings. Like, there's no woman in the world that isn't going to be hurt feelings if you say she's fat. Like, there's not a woman in the world. No, here's the deal. I thought she looked kind of sexy. I did, too. I did, too. But anyway, what Sienna was saying, I kind of agree with. Like, I almost thought to myself, it's so crazy what he's saying about her. Like, that she's...
Basically, he's saying, you know, you look fat because your body looks like it's in a sausage casing. Yeah, and if she's one of those people like a Roseanne Barr or something that points it out about themselves as a source of humor. Right. See, I don't know any backstory about who she is. Roseanne would not wear, like, tight little cap and school short skirt. But even, like, Kirstie Alley wears stuff like that and makes fun of herself for wearing it. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know who she is. The executive vice president, John Skipper from ESPN, has said, Tony Kornheiser's comments about Hannah Storm were entirely inappropriate. Hurtful and personal comments such as these are not acceptable and have significant consequences. Tony has been suspended from PTI for two weeks. Hannah is a very respected colleague who's been an integral part of the success of our morning sports center. So he saw her on the show. He went on his radio show in D.C. and dropped that bomb. Poor thing. Oh, it's one of those deals where, okay, but just to further that thought, because I want to get that thought out there that Sienna said, because I actually thought it too could be possible, that it was so crazy that maybe that she knew about it. No way. Like, she knew that it was going to, like, he's like, hey, I got to kill you on that outfit you're wearing. And she may have been like, okay, I don't care. Don't you think that she would have issued a statement or he would have said that in his statement? That's what I'm waiting for.
That's what I'm waiting for. And he called her later to apologize. Right. Then that means no. They didn't. There's no way. You don't call her later. Do you think he had some, like, cocktails before his show or something? I mean, it's pretty, it's pretty. A little loose lip there. I think it's crazy. I thought she looked, she looked cougarific to me. Really? Yeah. I don't know. I want to look her up because I don't know who she is. She's cute. She's an attractive lady. The thing that's. She's a handsome woman. She's a handsome woman. And it's like either way, even. That was my wife he was talking about. dead if that was my sister that's the creepy thing is that it is somebody's wife and sister and daughter oh my gosh she's gorgeous yeah oh what the heck he's just joking man like there's nothing wrong with her Yeah, not at all. If it was Kirstie Alley, then, yeah, he would look like a jerk. Right. But, like, she's a hot woman. Easy jobs. He's just, you know, making some comments, playing around. Maybe she made comments about herself, and he thought, because she said it, he had the liberty to go on and, like, poke fun. Don't get me wrong. You know, if someone said that about me, I would, no matter what I look like, it's going to be hard to hear. So I'm not saying he shouldn't have said it. Here's the outfit.
Oh, my gosh. Shoot. He's just making fun, like giving her a hard time. Jacef, AJ, is there, you know what we should do? Let's get that picture that he has and put it on MikeyShow.com. She looks great. So that people can see what, you know, the deal and, you know, not, by the way, I got to make the distinction. It's not because you're supposed to look at it and decide if his comments were okay. They weren't. Right. You know, it's just, you want it. A point of reference. Yeah, a point of reference. There's context to it. But here's the thing, too, is that, just like Sienna said, man, if, and I'm a dude, you know, if somebody said the same stuff, and here's the thing, too, he's not joking. Yeah. How do you know? Listen to it. Well, I don't. So let's listen to it again, and then in your mind, as you listen to it, go, is he like, Do you think that he believes it or is he just joking around? I just think the way he described it is so different than what she's actually wearing. I think he's just trying to be funny. Yeah, yeah. It just makes me wonder if she made a comment like, wow, I'm probably getting a little up there to be wearing this. If she maybe said it and he was trying to actually give her a shout out and be funny. It wasn't funny. It didn't go in his favor. To me, I thought it sounded like he was making a commentary.
Like he was making a, you know, like he was making a commentary. It'd be like, for instance. He sounded like Perez Hilton, how he describes people, you know? Yeah. A little bit. But, I mean, you know, like when somebody's telling a joke, you kind of get the sarcasm in their voice, you know, and they're kind of like making something in their voice so you know that they're joking around. This sounded like. Serious. Commentary. See, I picked up a little. For those of you looking at ESPN, I'd like to point out. Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. See, who's that that giggles? That's what I wonder. Somebody on the radio. Catholic school plaid skirt, way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s. Right above her knee. And she's got on her typically very, very tight shirt. It's not even tight. So she looks like she's got sausage casing wrapped around her upper body. I mean, you know, honestly, I know she's very good.
That hurts. And I know I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people. I point out that people who say that they lost 50 or 60 pounds have actually gained all the weight back. Yeah, I mean, I'm not supposed to do anything like that, so I won't. That's either a reference, by the way, to Mike Golick, who does the commercials for Nutrisystem, and he's lost a bunch of weight, or I think also Chris Berman is a... Nutrisystem endorser that lost a bunch of weight. But, you know, you listen to it and you go, he sounds bitter. Well, you heard him say, I know I'm not supposed to be critical and I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I'm going to do it anyway. I wonder what the leading conversation, like what led to that, what they were talking about. Strange story. Anyway, it's everywhere today because he's suspended. Open mouth, insert foot.
Yeah. Yeah. I want to see what he looks like because I don't know. He's a troll. He called himself a troll. He did. He's 61. He's like. Well, that's why he's doing it. I mean, he's just he's trying to be funny, but it wasn't funny. You know? Yeah. But I think after listening to it again, I think you're kind of right. Like it wasn't. And so it sounded like someone almost stopped him. Like, that's not. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Tony, maybe you're sounding crazy. Yeah, seriously. Hey, Tony, you might be sounding a little bit... Because the fact that he said, I know she's very good. It was like, you know what I mean? I know she's good, but, you know, she's talented. I'm not supposed to do this, but I don't want to do it anyway. She looks great. She looked great. And it wasn't like, look, Hannah's a friend of mine. Right. It was kind of... Dig, dig, dig. She's my girl. The other big thing, and you can call about any of this. Tell me what you think. Like, eh, no big deal or eh, something. 570-1949 or you could text us 949mikey at gmail.com. And Tony Kornheiser is a controversial guy. Yeah. I mean, that's what you got to know. His job. Yeah, his job is to be kind of controversial. And so that is the deal. But about sports. Right. I mean, about sports. Right, about sports. There was a shooting in Colorado. Now, the reason that it's significant.
is because of its proximity to Columbine. What happened to them? Three miles away from Columbine. This happened yesterday afternoon. A man basically just came up outside of Deer Creek Middle School and confronted a couple kids, asked them if they were students there. They said yes. A guy and a girl, both middle school, so that's like 12, 13 years old, and pulled out a gun and shot them both. A young boy and a young girl. And he killed them? No, they didn't die. Oh, thank goodness. But the teacher, you know, people heard it, and there was people around just right outside of a school, and a teacher saw the guy try to reload his gun, and this teacher just ran out of, just bolted and tackled the guy to the ground, held him until the police came, and then the police, you know, arrested him. And, I mean, he must have just lost it. No one knows what his motive was, but the kids are fine. They were taken to the hospital, and they're expected to survive. Oh, wow. Very crazy. It could have been a lot worse. From what I understand, it was like a bolt-action rifle. So he had to reload. Oh, really? And as he was reloading, that's when the, I guess he was a former college athlete, too. The teacher, yeah. And he just leveled the guy. Nice. So people are portraying him as his hero, you know? Oh, he is. For sure. That's so awesome. Oh, my gosh. What's wrong with people? I don't know. Yeah, that's crazy. These kids, you've never even seen them before. Terrible. Like, what?
Terrible, terrible. I just wanted to know specifically, too, that they were students. Yeah. So, yeah. Did you guys, didn't you guys say that you knew people that were at Warren? I did. I don't know someone specifically, but someone close to my boyfriend, Matt, was actually in Columbine. On the day it happened? On the day it happened. And made a split decision when she left the room, go left or right. And the way that she went saved her life. If she had gone the other way, she would have headed. towards the library um yeah but she still has like problems this day like even with like she has to be able to see a door yep she has to be in pure right line line side of the door sure wow that's terrible my parents lived in littleton um and they had moved right basically a year before i think a year or two years before i think my brother would have been a senior Because he would have graduated the same year. I think my brother would have been a senior at Columbine. Really? Yep. Oh, my. That was one of the worst things I've ever seen. We are getting text messages. And M1 Scott says, Hannah looks great in that outfit. That skirt isn't even short at all. It's very unprofessional to speak about coworkers outside the office to other people. I don't know.
I think it's kind of unprofessional to be talking about anybody regardless of whether or not they work in the office or whatever. If it's a chick, you know, it's gnarly. It's a chick you're talking about. It's just gnarly. Judging that by the description, she sounds like one of the people that dresses like a whore. And then men are staring at her. And you can't read that word. Commentary like that doesn't happen often from both sides of the sexual fence. It's M1MK. I don't understand. I mean, listen, M1MK, I'm like, is that, and I don't want to read into it too much, but is that saying she was asking for it? Oh, boy. And that's gnarly, right? That's gnarly. Is my can of worms around here? Yeah, yeah, right? 570-1949. You can call in. I mean, if you think that, you can call in. You're entitled to your opinion. 949mikey at gmail.com. And women are now allowed to work on submarines. Uh-huh. After decades. Submarine sandwiches? Yeah. They can now put the salami, the kota. Really? The kota. Mm-hmm.
No, I don't know. Finally. No, they can work in the Navy on the subs, right? Yeah, yeah, they can go in submarines. Now, this has been going on for decades where women weren't allowed. I bet I know why. I didn't know that. I bet I know why they weren't. I want to hear why. I want to hear. My thinking on why they were not allowed to work on submarines was because they thought that there would be too much. Boom, boom. Yeah, I agree. That's exactly it. I agree. Too much boom, boom. So, of course, things need to change. And they are saying that the Congress has 30 days to weigh in, but it looks like it's going to be in action and women are going to be on subs, which is good. Literally. I know that like at the Naval Academy, they have rules where if a man and a woman are going to be in the same room together, their feet have to be on the ground. Really? Yeah. It's like at both feet on the ground at all times. Wow. Yeah, that'll definitely stop sexual intercourse. You know what I mean? Like they're going to be like, okay, yeah. There's ways around this. We won't hook up because our feet have to be on the ground. How'd you like to be the one girl on the sub? Like Sienna, they put you on the sub with like 80 dudes? I'd be like, oh, hey. Yeah. Looking over your shoulder. You know what I mean?
Well, they're going to be allowed on the larger subs, so that way it's easier to retrofit the co-ed quarters and everything like that. But you know what? I think if they can work together at work, I mean, hooking up goes on everywhere. Yeah. On a sub or on a plane. Okay. You can have green eggs and ham on a bus. With some jam. Yeah, there you go. Big name charger going to be going to jail. Oh, no. I got details. More bad charger news. I know it. And we got new releases. It's next. I don't know what I did without my GPS. Good morning. This report brought to you by Advil Cold and Sinus. Did you know that sinus pressure from colds is often nasal swelling? That's due to inflammation. It's not just mucus. Get the right medicine for the real problem. Advil Cold and Sinus. Ask for it at the pharmacy counter. On the 125 southbound before Spring Street, an accident over on the right shoulder. It's a car that hit a cone. It's in the middle of lanes right now. On the 5 southbound, not like any of my relatives, one of those traffic cone things. But you knew that. 5 southbound between Oceanside Harbor Drive, Cassidy Street, just a little slow in the mid-40s right now. This report brought to you by Account Temps, providing clients with cost-effective staffing solutions to their peak accounting and finance workload needs. Call or visit them at AccountTemps.com and equal opportunity employer. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. Fun and funky. You're in luck. It always starts out fun and then it gets weird. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. 570-1949 is the number. You can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. We got new releases coming up here in just a second. But first... I'm really nervous about this. I know. I would be. I would be because... Well, first of all, Sienna, you're already kind of reeling from the news LT. It hurts. It hurts. It does. And I blogged about it this morning. You can actually read all of our blogs at mikeyshow.com.
And we urge you to do that. That way we feel like we're not writing it for no reason. But what's going on, Woodsy? Well, don't flip out yet. I mean, it's a big deal, but it's not that big a deal. Vincent Jackson, wide receiver for your San Diego Chargers, has been sentenced to four days in jail. Five years probation for his second offense. He's got two DUIs. I can relate. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Got a thing on his past. Kid had a bad year. Don't drink and drive ever. Do not drink and drive, especially if you're Vincent Jackson. But because it was his second DUI conviction, he'll also be subject to the NFL's personal conduct policy. He'll probably be suspended a game or two. So that's going to be tough starting the year without him. He should be like you and get a cab to go to 7-Eleven. Woodsy gets a cab, you know, pretty much for everything. He's like, yeah, Vons, please. You know, for everything. You know what I mean? You sound like I'm drinking all day every day. No, I'm just saying, you know, I mean, it's a good thing, though. It's a very good thing. You're responsible. Well, you learn your lesson and you actually got off a lot lighter than I did. Yeah. Since Woods has been here two different times, I've been in.
involved in him getting pulled over by the police. Really? Are you serious? Yeah, he came to this little party I had, like, I think it was before we went on the air. Yeah. Yeah, it was before we went on the air. I didn't tell you about this. It was like a pre-wedding shower and I invited him because he has no friends. And he made it out and then he left, you know, after just a little bit. It was just a shower. And he called me and said, the kid just got pulled over. Yeah. Ran a stop sign in La Jolla. Because I had no idea where I was. None. Yeah. And the police officer was so nice, he actually gave me directions back to my hotel. Yeah, so he was good. Yeah, I didn't do anything. I don't drink and drive. And the second time we talked about this before is he threw his cigarette butt out the window as I'm on the phone with him. And I hear a cop screaming at him. And I'm like, Woods, you are such bad luck. Yeah, you have police bait on you. Like police chum. Yeah, well, whatever. It happens. It happens. So the former Oakland Raiders assistant, you remember this? Randy Hanson, who back last year got a fractured jaw and broken teeth, allegedly by head coach Tom Cable. They punched him, man. Punched him, his face hit a table. Yeah. You know, knocked the dude out, broke his teeth. Right. He is now suing the Raiders.
And Tom Cable. And what he's suing for. He's suing him personally. Yeah. And the Raiders. He's suing for emotional distress, general damages, past and future wages, medical expenses, punitive damages, and court costs. Because basically he said, hey, listen, I'll let bygones be bygones. I want to come back and coach. And Al Davis said no. So I'm wondering when they're going to shut the doors on that franchise altogether. I know it, man. I'm telling you, dude. That is a messed up dysfunctional organization. Tell me about it. So we played some audio yesterday of Kobe coming back from a sprained ankle. And he came in last night and Kobe was doing his thing. He's going to be brought in by Ron Artest. Kobe is going to be guarded by Rudy Gayna. Not O.J. Mayo. He's got the pick. He's got the pop. The three. Yes! Yes! Kobe! That was with four seconds left. 99.98. Are you kidding me? And they won 99.98. They won 99.98. Kobe comes back. He's a beast. Trains a three. Unstoppable, that guy. Dude, is it just filthy? That's gnarly. Literally. Do you remember, it happened about five years ago, the former NBA All-Star Jason Williams played for the Nets, was accused of shooting and killing a limo driver? Yeah.
was finally sentenced yesterday to a minimum of 18 months in prison. He had a five-year sentence, but he will have to serve 18 months. Cut to is Jason Williams. I'm not a bad man, but I acted badly on February 14th. I will work endlessly to improve myself, to continue to help others, and again make positive contributions in our society. That's who I am. And that's who I want my daughter to be proud of. Is this a deal where he is just barely now? Now. So this has been going on? Five years. Oh, dude. Five years. Wasn't he like just kind of playing around with his gun, like showing it off or something? It was one of the craziest stories I'd ever heard. And there was about 10 different stories that came out. Bottom line is it was his gun. He pulled the trigger. Accident or not. I mean, he's going to do.
He'll probably do the 18 months and be set free. But, man, it's been dragging out for five years with this poor guy's family and all that. So he got his day in court, and he's going away for a little bit. And finally, Eli Manning had a marketing deal with a hospital in New York. The hospital is $700 million in debt. Are you kidding me? I don't like Eli Manning at all. And this is a good story. Well, basically, they owed him about $500,000, and he said, never mind, just keep it. But this is the hard part about playing in New York. There's a couple of emails that went out to WFAN, which is the big sports station up there. They said, this is probably why they're going down to begin with. Eli should have returned all the money he took and then dedicated himself to saving a much-needed hospital. What a schlump. So even when he gives his money back, they're like, you should have never taken a nickel from him anyway. Welcome to New York City, kid. Oh, wow. See, I just read the headline that says he told him to keep the money. And I was like, oh, that's cool. It is cool. They owe him half a million dollars. He's like, eat it. Forget it. Damned if you do. Damned if you don't. Right. What was he supposed to do? Like, if somebody offers you an endorsement, are you supposed to go, hey, yeah, sure, I'll take it. By the way, can I see all your financial records to make sure that you're not in any debt? And I'll do it for free. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll do it for free.
Weird story. Hey, you guys want to do some new releases? Yes. I got some new releases. Sienna, what is out there right now? What do we got? Well, should we start with the music? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, this is something we were going to get to yesterday, but we had such a huge show yesterday. We didn't end up getting to it. So they all came out yesterday. High on Fire came out. Snakes for the Divine. This is a lot of yelling. This is a lot of yelling. I'll be humming this in my head later on. It's definitely got that... Imagine humming that. Yeah, it's almost like a Backstreet Boys song. Yeah. He's dead on. Is that Nick Lachey? Yeah. Later on in the day, you'll be humming that. He was 98 degrees. All right? Does it matter? Get it right. Does it matter? I thought it was all the same one. No doubt. O-Town? Mm-hmm. Sarah Buxton by Sarah Buxton. This is some country.
I think she sang backup for the first band that we heard, which is really weird. You would never imagine her in that. Are there any good new releases? How dare you. Easy. The soundtrack to the new movie, The Wolfman, came out. Also, oh, we have it. That's it. That's Danny Hoffman. The Wolfman is that movie with, oh, what's it, Anthony Hopkins? Yeah. It looks good. Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro. Our friend in Dallas. Mark Bauman, told me an interesting nugget about the wolf man. What? Did you know all the wolf noises? So he says, I need to verify, so don't go crazy. Yeah. All the wolf noises were made by two people, Gene Simmons and David Lee Roth. What? All the growlings and the wolf noises. Really? In the movie? I'm going to find it right now. If that's true, that's pretty interesting. Isn't that cool? Yeah. Movie or soundtrack? In the movie. In the movie. Oh, okay. Like the actual sound effects. Why wouldn't they just... But I'm super gullible. Yeah, I don't know about that. Yeah. They're like, he tells you, he's like, hey, man, did you hear that Estelle Getty is actually, you know, the person that they use, the chick from, you know, it is true. It is true. Really? Wolfman uses David Lee Roth and Gene Simmons growls. That's so cool. I could see Gene Simmons being good at that. What about David Lee?
Right? That's true. Wow. Danny Elfman, by the way. Yes. Is that Jenna Elfman's brother? No. No, it isn't. Oh. Danny Elfman used to be in the band Oingo Boingo. Did he really? Yeah. I didn't know that. He's the lead singer at Oingo Boingo. He does a ton of soundtrack. Yeah, movies. Yeah. He's like the big movie dude. Also out. Who is that? Jay. Oh. Jay's out of the well, remember? Yeah, Jay, you can now hear... Say it again, Jay. I'm out of the well. Yeah, you can hear him now on a microphone. That sounds really weird. You said something like that. I know, it's strange. I like it. It sounds so clear. It does. Story of the Year is out, The Constant. Is that a movie? This is all music. Most of it I've never heard of. Weird. I know. I like it. Yeah, it's so fun. I like it, it rocks. I like it. The Irish Tenors, Ireland. Please tell me yes. Just in time for St. Paddy's Day. Yes. Wait, listen. I feel like I'm watching The Wizard of Oz. If my dad is listening, he's pumped right now. Yeah. I've gone and, like, sang Irish carols before and stuff, yeah. Nice. Oh, Danny boy. Sounds just like it.
I love it. EPMD, Strictly Business. Not there. EPMD is still putting out music? I guess. It's new music. What else? The West Coast Blueprint. It's called Snoop Dogg. Don't have that one. Easy E, Easy Does It. Too much cussing. We couldn't put it on release. Sounds about right. How many times are you going to release that album? Master P, Ghetto D. Couldn't do that one either, right? Jay? Explicit lyrics. A lot of people re-release them and stuff, so I think some of this could be that, but this was all on the list of coming out yesterday. They mastered. Morgan Page, believe. Oh, look at Wizzy. Doing a little dance for that. Yeah, you'd need a glow stick and pacifier. You want a candy necklace? You want a t-shirt from Baby Gap? Alkaline Trio, The Addiction. Good band. I like it. I like that, too. Yeah. That's good. I would never buy it, but I like it. Why not? Because it doesn't have a melody that I can sing along to. Sure it does. Really? Yeah. I'd have to hear it 50 more times. Yeah. Probably like it. This one you'll like, Woodsy. Ain't No Grave. It's a Johnny Cash one. American Six. Yes. That's cool.
That's another Rick Rubin record. Is it? Yeah. That's real. That's just real. That's real. Yep. Is it real? That's real. I get the feeling it's real. I thought it was fake. You guys can all get it. I dig it. I love it. You know what, though? For me, music is a... I have to be in a mood for something, and I'm not sure when I would throw that on. He sounds a lot like Pavarotti, doesn't he? Yeah. Yeah, he kind of does. And the last three real quick. George Jones, The Great Lost Hits. This is his second CD. And Daniel Merriweather. Did you know, by the way, Woodsy, did you know that I'm like a George Jones freak? Really? Yeah. In fact, when I lived in Dallas, that's where I met Woodsy. When I lived in Dallas, I was so bummed out that I missed this big George Jones concert. And I told everybody, I'm like, I really would have wanted to go to that because a bunch of people from the radio station went. He probably missed it too. Is he from Texas or is he from Bakersfield, California? I don't know. But he was playing in Fort Worth, Texas. Did you just, like, is he from Dallas or is he from Madison, Wisconsin? Why would you say Bakersfield? Because Bakersfield has a big, like, it's a different kind of country sound. Oh, really? Yeah. That's a weird question. I love George Jones. What's a George Jones song? He stopped loving her today. Okay.
Wait a minute. I'm going to give you some George Jones so that you have some context. I need to know. I'm already in love with it. Is he dead? No, he's not dead. You can't just say things like that, Woods. You don't know who I am. Yeah. He's from Texas. FYI. You know how I found George Jones? You know how I fell in love with George Jones? The movie Swingers. Oh, yeah. In the movie Swingers, they play this song. I heard this. I heard it. I could tell instantly it was 50 years old. Didn't care. I secretly went, I love this. Eat your heart out, Kenny Chesney. That's what country music sounds like, pal. Sounds like Patsy Cline. Yeah, it does. I love this stuff. That's country.
But see, I also like the stuff that Woodsy doesn't like. That's country. I like it. There's all kinds of stuff that for whatever reason, it just gets in my gut. That's why you're allowed to like whatever you like. Brad Paisley. I love you some Brad. I've heard those names, but I don't know it. I've heard those names. See, if it's new, Woodsy's out. You're such a snob. Get out. I'm from Texas, dude. I know. And finally, Daniel Merriweather, Love and War, and Of Men and Angels, The Rock Summer. There you go. That's all the music. Now, movies. Yeah, what's that? These movies came out on DVD yesterday. Brief interviews with hideous men. Cirque du Freak, The Vampire's Assistant. That has Selma Hayek in it. Never heard of it. Everybody's Fine. Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore, Kate Beckinsale. Motherhood has Uma Thurman. Sorority Row. Mike, you're going to love this one. Oh, I'm sure. I'm sure. It has Audrina Patridge from The Hills and Rumor Willis. Oh. Oh, is this the one that they've been showing previews for where she's, they do the, it's a horror? Is it a horror? Yeah, I think it is. The Box, which I kind of wanted to see, but I heard it was so bad. Why are you laughing? I'm not.
Well, yeah, you are. I can't just say the box. He's seven years old. The kid is seven years old. Is that an adult film? The box is the one with Cameron Diaz. Remember the previews? And you're being inappropriate. Of course he is. It's our boy Woods. The box with Cameron Diaz, James Marsden, and Frank Langella. Langella? That looks so bad. It looks so bad. I was like, I wonder, maybe it'll be good, but people said no. It's out on DVD. Even the people that said, I'll wait till DVD are like, I'm not going to buy it on DVD. Oh, it's out on DVD? These are new releases on DVDs. Now they say, oh, wait till it's on TNT on the weekend. And even then they're like, I still don't want to see it. No, these are all movies to DVD. I'll say it again since Lauren didn't understand. I do movies in theaters on Friday. The Informant's out with Matt Damon. and the vicious kind. This is Brittany Snow. She's a cute girl. Is that it? Yeah, video games now? Yeah. Which is like another language to me. Heavy Rain on PS3. Endless Ocean, Blue World on the Wii. Napoleon, Total War for, I guess, Windows' computer game. Yeah.
Borderlands, the secret armory of General Knox. I know there are people that understand this. I know. Every time I hear it, I'm like, greetings. But I know that there are people that get this, like it, and, you know. They're into it. They're stoked. I love video games. I play all the time online. You do, Jay? Xbox. 360. Night. Call of Duty. Oh, yeah. Bring it. Grow up, Peter Pan. Oh, yeah. You play online with people? Almost every night. Almost every night? Yeah, I've actually, it's called Prestige. I've already gone all the way around one loop. I'm full on fighting. Yeah, it's killer. And you've got like, do you have...
Do you play with complete strangers or do you play with people? I have a group of friends that we get on and play. So then you can totally talk smack. And I don't like listening to a little 12-year-old boy. Hey, I killed you. I got to go. Right. Like, stop talking to me. Well, that's because 12-year-old boys are the only ones that go on there. Negative, negative. I have all kinds of friends my age on the system. Come on, Count Shockula. Hey, learn the technology. A lot of people are into it. What is that one game, World of Warcraft? People get crazy. No. Say wow. Something like that. You know, it's cool for Jay because Jay owns a home. He has a job. He has a family. It's probably a nice release for him. But when you're 16 and that's all you do, maybe get out of the house. Yeah. Go run around the neighborhood. Maybe pick up a girl. Do something. Yeah. Not everyone needs to be like you, Woods. You can do both. That's right. Also out on video game, Last Rebellion on PS3. Risen on Xbox and Xbox 360. Remington Great American Bird Hunt. Oh, man. That's the one that sounds good to me. I know. Maybe you get one of those little guns and you shoot at the duck hunt. Do you remember Duck Hunt? Yeah. How fun was Duck Hunt? The dog would go like this. Duck Hunt was a Nintendo thing, right? Yes. Amazing. This one's on Nintendo Wii. So I got a friend in a big, big national Christian band called Third Day. I play their song at the end of the show on Friday, right? Yep.
I'm pretty good friends with their bass player, Ty. And so I recommend a game for Wii called Duck Hunt. He gets it. He's like, dude, what is this? And I go, it's Duck Hunt. And he goes, I sat there for two hours waiting for a duck to come by, bro. And I go, yeah, isn't it cool? I go, well, didn't you use your duck call? You've got to call him in. He goes, I thought it was like Nintendo Duck Hunt. Yeah, where they just shoot out. He goes, I sat there and fell asleep waiting for a duck to come along. It was the worst thing I'd ever seen in my life. There's more. There's more. Really quick. And Deadly Premonition is the last video game. Also on Blu-ray today, Bonnie and Clyde, Goodfellas. Nice. Goodfellas has got to already be on Blu-ray, you would think. I guess not. The Botany of Desire. Oh, I saw that. Buford. Weird. The Conspiracy. The Conspiracy. I Hate Valentine's Day and Motherhood. Did you hear that? Simon Cowell made a gay joke to Ryan Seacrest on TV and there's like this awkward reaction from the audience and even the people on the show are like, can't wait. Dude, it's so uncomfortable and so awkward. I'll play it for you next. Is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

Or the fact that you keep saying chick instead of woman. Very demeaning. I was going to say something about that. I had a boss that would, if we said chick, would flip out. Really? Young lady. Young lady. See, here's the thing. And this kind of goes along those lines of, well, I think you've got to get to know me a little bit. Because I think, you know, if somebody, and it's just like any friendship. You know, when you're first getting to know somebody, you don't really know somebody. And when they say something, you may take it one way. But it's sort of like this. It's sort of like I'm pretty okay with people calling me a dude. And, you know, instead of a man, which I am a man. Chicks and dudes. You know, and. That broad needs to lighten up. I think that one she's probably. I got the glare. You got the glare from Sienna. I did it. And Lauren. Look, she's furious. I hate that one. Lauren hates broad. Broad is so, like... How about that skirt? Skirt's... That's just dumb. That skirt needs to chill out. Broad doesn't bother me. That's funny. It doesn't bother you at all. She despises it. I think I'm just... I'm weird, though. Most girls, I think, would. You're like a dude. Thanks. Broad is just so, like... I like Colin Barsky. Yeah, see? It's Jimmy Cagney. Yeah. Well, that broad needs to do something.
That little dish needs to come over here and do mine. Are we doing Jay's commercials again from yesterday? I don't have a problem with chick if we're talking like in a casual sense. But if Garrett were to like our program director, would it be like, yeah, we this new chick, we hired this chick and referred to me as a chick in a professional sense. Yeah. I'd be like, back it up. Yeah. And I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't do that either. I mean, you know what I mean? You're in entertainment and you're just kind of throwing it out there. Yeah. But I could see why someone would have a problem with it. I think my wife is the coolest chick I know. There you go. And she would be totally okay with that. My old lady's very cool too. It's the counterpart to dude. It's dude and chick. Chicks and dudes. First Simon Cowell, what do you think of these comments? It's like your first kiss. Your first kiss has got to be something you're going to remember, not you. But that's what it is. You've got to come out here, do something, and prove to everyone watching this show, I am different, unique, and I'm a star, rather than indulging yourself. And that's the problem. I didn't think of any of that during my first kiss. That was Ryan Seacrest that just said that. Oh, gosh. And here's what Simon says back. Really? No. I think I probably went both ways. Oh. Oh. Well, that's not necessarily a gay reference. I didn't think so either. No.
Now, you got to hear the crowd reaction. Went both ways. Whoa. Well, I need to hear it again. That's Randy Jackson going, whoa. And that's the problem. I didn't think of any of that during my first kiss. Really? No. I think I probably went both ways. I don't know. It could be. It means like the girl. She didn't enjoy it either. Yeah. It's called a double entendre. It's got two meanings. It's got two meanings to it. It could, or it could have just been a coincidence. We say things all the time. We say, oh, no pun intended, or I didn't mean it like that. Randy for sure thought that that was a gay joke. So why the big, oh! Because maybe there is some ambiguity around his sexuality. I don't know. I don't watch American Idol, so I don't know. It's not the first time that Simon has taken little jabs. at Seacrest. Well, they do it at each other. They do it at each other. Yeah. And so, you know, he takes, Seacrest takes jabs at Simon for having a hairy chest and, you know. His tight shirts. His tight shirts. He gets to the baby gap. His part in his hair. Yeah. I love his part. His part. Simon Cowell has like, if you look at his hair, he has like this random part that looks so weird. And they'll take shots at him. Yeah. They take shots at each other. So does he make
references all the time to him being like... I wouldn't say all the time, but he definitely makes references to the fact that maybe he likes guys. Oh. But you do that with Woods. Yeah. Yeah, you know I don't like guys. Yeah, but I know Woods, he doesn't like guys, and I think that there's a thing out there that Seacrest is gay, and so he'll make these little comments, and when he does... So there's a whole new meaning to Seacrest out. Seacrest out. That's right. I think... It shouldn't be a source of shame for him. Absolutely not. I think. Yeah. You know, if he's going to come out, he can come out. Yeah. But the thing is, is that there's like there's a TV commercial out there that plays up the fact that Seacrest is gay and Seacrest is in it. Yeah. So he's almost like. He's almost drawn attention to it. Or maybe he's just laughing at the fact that everybody thinks that he is. And so he's just like, why not make some extra bucks? Yeah, it could be. Just slaying a lot of chicks on the side or what? Yeah, maybe. Could be. Yeah. It's up for you to decide. I think Seacrest probably has the cutest, like, well-designed house. No? 100%. Like, he just, you know, I just can see that. It's the exact opposite of what my house looks like. Yes. You don't think he has any spit cups laying around or anything? I don't. Pizza boxes? I don't get the feeling that Seacrest is spitting into plastic cups. Martha Stewart's collection. No? Yeah. 100%. Tell me what you think of this. 570-1949 or text 949mikey at gmail.com.
Email says, Mikey, just wondering what people, both women and men, think about this. I'm considering buying a fake cubic zirconium wedding ring. No, no, no, no. You started with cubic and I was blowing my eyes. Weird. For those of you that don't know what cubic zirconium is, it's supposed to look like a diamond, but it's not really a diamond. I don't know if Sienna's going in there. You can definitely tell that a guy wrote this, a fake cubic zirconium. It's not fake, it's just a cubic zirconium. It's a CZ, yeah. I'm considering buying a fake cubic zirconium wedding ring for cheap to stop random. Oh, it's from a chick. Oh, to stop random guys from hitting on. Yeah, 100 percent. I have one. Really? It says, well, let me let me finish. What is the percentage of women that wear wedding engagement rings but are actually single? So what do you think of that? I have one. You do? Yeah. What do you mean?
I actually have it more for when I did like acting things and I was supposed to look like motherly or something like that. I would wear the fake ring to just look more believable as a mom or something like that. Really? But then I thought, why not? And I have a friend that used to wear one out all the time and it's just, it doesn't necessarily stop them, but it creates the, you know, if you're getting hit on and you have to use a thousand things to get someone to hit the road. You just point to the ring. That doesn't necessarily make them go, whoa, whoa, whoa. Sorry, I'm done. But it's at least it's a definitive for you to be like, look, how many times do I have to tell you? I'm married. Get. Yeah. Get. Well, I think it kind of depends because. Like the diapers? Yes, like the diapers. I think it kind of depends because I don't think that you're going to really stop. certain men from hitting on you because you're wearing a wedding ring yeah but it gives you a line to get them to scoot gives you an out yeah i am i've have for years i've worn since i was 21 i got a little diamond ring that goes on my right hand ring finger and um people all the time especially guys thought that it was an engagement ring because guys aren't like so your left hand or your right hand you know and so i think that they consciously they do look you know i would think
I could be wrong. I thought it would be a small percentage of dudes that don't get that that thing goes on the left. No? That's probably a very small percentage, I would think. Even girls would say, oh, are you engaged? Really? If you're looking at it, from your perspective, you don't always think, oh, wait, it's reversed. It looks like an engagement ring. I mean, enough. If you're standing in front of a mirror, they definitely don't know. Some guys I know think it's a challenge. They're like, oh, cool, she's married. I think so. I think it's a challenge. But I've done what Lauren does, and I've taken that same ring and put it on the left finger of people are being creepy, you know? Really? It just gives you, like we said, that out to be like, I don't have to make up a thousand excuses why I want you to get out of my face. I just have to keep saying, I'm married, I'm married, I'm married. I've never had a problem getting people to go away. I'm just like, just turn your back or something. They're all going to be like, wait, wait. It's never gotten to the point where I'm like, okay, look. I'm married. I heard that a wedding ring on a guy in a lot of cases for a woman is, you know, it's a... Bait. Yeah. Same thing for a man. I've heard that too. It's not true at all. I think it's just, we all like the chase. So I think it just ups the ante a little bit. The thing that I heard about the men wearing the wedding ring and women being attracted to it is it shows a woman.
that that guy is not afraid of commitment, and therefore he becomes attractive to her. Now, I will say this. Absolutely, I agree with you, 100%. It's never happened to me, but only because I'm not very attractive. But I would think that to a guy that is, you know, really attractive, that that could be a thing, you know, if you've got a ring on. Oh, that's something I've thought about. Like, Todd's going to, my fiance's about to start wearing a ring, and I'm like, man, I feel like more girls are going to start hitting on him now. Because I know, like, you do. Something clicks. And it's happened to me before. If there's a good-looking guy and I see a ring, like, oh, he's married, huh? You know? Really? Like, oh, he's not afraid of commitment. Yeah. And you do think that. Obviously, I don't think that anymore. Lauren? I think maybe it makes you think, like, oh, that's sweet. He's married. But it wouldn't, for me, be like, ding, ding, ding. No, yeah. No, neither would I. But you're kind of, like, curious. You know somebody can stand the guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's good for something. We got a woman. Almost said chick. Don't. A chick on the line that has a fake wedding ring. M1 Mariona? Actually, I don't have the wedding ring anymore. But I used to, when I was 21, I used to work at a certain store. And guys wouldn't leave me alone. And I was just 20. I had just turned 21. And my boss was a guy. He didn't feel comfortable leaving me alone.
He's like, you know what? So he bought me a fake wedding ring. And I would just wear it and I would take it off. But it didn't really work. Like, it would work with some guys. But some guys would just want to go further. So I was just like, forget it. I just took it off after like a year of wearing it. Creep's a creep, right? It must be super hot. A creep is a creep. Yeah. They don't care if you got a wedding ring on. They're going to go for it. So what are you doing later? Speaking of this, my wife was coming out to visit me. And she was here last weekend, as you guys know, and sat across the aisle from a pilot on a certain, what do we call those? Airline. He was a pilot and he was getting a ride. What do you call the thing that fly in the sky? And this clown hit on her for the whole three-hour flight. The entire flight. And she's like, look, dude, this is my wedding ring. I'm going to see my husband. He's at the airport and he's psychotic. She had to say all that? Yeah. I mean, he was like, well, I'm in Dallas a lot. Let's get a drink. The psychotic part, right? It's just unbelievable. I think it's cool she told you. Well, yeah. Yeah. Right? I would tell, Matt. Yeah, for sure. It's cool she told you. Of course, me. I'm like, where's this guy? Where's this guy? Where's this guy? I injured my finger about six months ago, and I couldn't wear my ring for a while. And then when my finger got better, I didn't put it back on. My wife was finally like, hey, yeah, put that ring on. Yeah.
How would you guys feel about your husband or how would you feel, Woodsy, about your wife if she didn't wear her ring? I wouldn't feel good about it. I'd pay a lot of money for that ring. Todd keeps joking because I'm going to pick up the ring today. Oh, I don't need it. You don't need to pick it up. Like, he's joking because he knows I'm going to get mad. I'm like, you are wearing that ring and it is staying on your finger. Mine never comes off. I never take it off. Yeah. I think it just depends on if you know that person. Like, my sister is really forgetful. Yeah. Weird. She's related to me. Yeah. Todd. But she always, like if she's going to take a shower or something like that, takes it off or washes her hands as the dishes and she forgets to put it on all the time. So her husband is just like. He knows that that's the way she is and it doesn't bother him. Yeah. Well, I work with my hands all the time and it's always getting hung up on the wood or something like that. Yeah. And I don't need a ring to remind me that I need to be faithful. That was faithful. I don't either, but I think it's a symbolic sign that's kind of cool. I have a friend that, I forget what the metal is. It's a hybrid metal. It's, like, supposed to be stronger than titanium. And he has it basically, like, saddered onto his fingers. So the only way he can ever take it off is to get it, like, basically cut his finger off. Really? Yeah. That sounds awful. That's terrible. What's that? Doesn't it hurt? I would think so. He says it's loose enough that it can move, but he's got really thick knuckles. What's he? What if he gained weight? I know. Swollen. Yeah. What's he?
did something that i need to investigate further yeah thank you he said something that i need to investigate further what you said yeah i want my wife to wear my her ring and then in this very you know what i think was not this is what i suspect i don't think it was the real deal you said because i paid a lot of money for that ring yeah it's expensive ring sure it's not the fact that it would really make you kind of jealous i i'm because of the fact that the thing's worth Five figures. I don't want it sitting on the counter. Really? Yeah, really. It's not about the fact. And it looks really good on her. It isn't about the fact that she's married. I trust my wife implicitly. Implicitly. Listen, if my wife didn't wear her ring, it wouldn't make me think it's because she's out there trying to get some. But I would think to myself, hey, babe, we're married. That hurts my feelings you don't wear the ring. Doesn't bother me. Really? Yeah. Man, you are strange. I know. You know that. Like, I just can't. Nobody can. Understand. Nobody can. He's an enigma. That's right. And a renaissance man. M1 Jamie. Hey. Is that my wife? Hello? No, it's not your wife. Okay. We talk a little more. I can't recognize the voice yet. Sweating bullets. Go ahead, Jamie. Hey. My dad's been married for the past, what, like 28 years? Yeah. And I think he tried to get a penny through his wedding band and it got stuck, so he just hasn't even worn it.
the past 20 years. Really? Yeah, so he just hasn't worn his wedding band the past 20 years. So he's got a penny stuck in a wedding band in a drawer. Oh my gosh. Wow. He doesn't wear it. Something I would do. Wow. He's like, oh. I wonder if a penny could fit through here. Yeah. And he's like, well, not coming out. There goes that one. He just doesn't wear it anymore. How's your mom feel about it? She doesn't care. Really? I don't think so. Some people are confident. I'm from the East Coast, and I kind of notice. It's not about confidence. Some people aren't psychotic. It's about, it's a meaning. Really? It's symbolic. If your wife doesn't wear your wedding ring, you're psychotic if you happen to not like that. Then why even get one? Lauren? As I was saying, I'm from the East Coast, and I noticed when I moved out here that more guys on the West Coast, are married but don't wear their rings and i think it might be because it's an active culture you know maybe a lot of surfing what does that mean that in the east coast it's a cultural thing to not wear your wedding ring well i think a lot of guys take their rings off maybe to go surfing to do certain things work outside with their hands a lot more or i don't know maybe it's just not anything to do with the active part and it's just
On the East Coast. West Coast. On the West Coast. Gotcha. They wear them more on the East. Got it, got it, got it. Because I worked for a software company. I go to a lot of networking events with guys that, you know, they wouldn't be wearing rings and I would... be talking to them for a little while and they'd be like, oh yeah, my wife, da, da, da, da, da. That's probably because they flew away on a conference. You can't figure that move out for yourself right there? No, but why would you drop the my wife if you were trying to work a game, you know? Because they probably talked to you and they saw this giant wall and they're like, eh, not going to get this one. I'm not getting through. Not getting through to this one. M1 Sweet Pea. Good morning, Mikey. Good morning. My sister-in-law wasn't too happy that my brother never wore his ring. So my brother had a ring tattooed on his finger. He had a ball and chain. Yes! Wow. That's pretty awesome. Wow. A ball and chain. I love it. I love it. Yeah, she's happy now. She's happy now? She is. She doesn't care what it is? Yeah, she doesn't care what it is as long as it's there.
That's hilarious. That would make me laugh, though, too. I'm surprised that there is not more traditionalists, you know? I'm very traditional, and is that the word? Traditional? Yeah, I'm traditional. I wear my ring, and my wife wears a ring. Symbolic. So do we. It's a symbolic thing. Symbolic. Here's the deal, Lauren. I play baseball. I play golf. I never take it off. Really? And, you know, it's dented. What about in the water, though? Never. I shower in it. I go in the water. Yeah, but that's a band. Like, for women, it's different. When I go in the shower, I always take my ring off. And actually, this morning, as I was getting ready to come to work, I noticed, oh, my ring's still sitting in here. Normally, I always put it on right after the shower. But, no, I put lotion on. And any time I do the dishes, the ring comes off. Really? Yeah. You're not going to want to surf with that ring. It attracts sharks. Really? Yep. Oh, wow. You just said it. Yeah. What's just got a look on his face? Are you kidding me? Am I right, Jay? No. I save my ring all the time. Shiny things are supposed to look like fish. Dude, I am petrified of sharks. Pause. Pause. You just said, you shouldn't wear that. That would attract sharks. And it wasn't. He had a look. It stayed frozen. Yeah. His mouth opened. Yeah. He looked her straight in the eyes and he said, really?
Scared to death. I'll probably never surf anyway. Well, that's what I've been told. Oh, 0%. If they see a little glimmer of something, it's supposed to look like it. Never, ever, ever, ever. No, no. It's reflective. Honey, I'm sorry. I'll be at the beach, but I'm not keeping that ring on. If you put a wetsuit on and you're in the water, you look like a seal. That's even more likely to get a shark to come to you. Maybe I just bathe myself in chum before I go out. Yeah, why not, right? Blood. I take my wedding ring off every day when I get home. And I put it back on every day when I go to work. Really? Why do you take it off? It's uncomfortable. Because I, yeah, I don't like stuff on. Me neither. I take my watches off. You walk around nude? Yeah, I walk around nude. I know without a doubt you have a special place that it goes the same day every day. It's my special place. It's not. Her special place. I want to hear about the special place. The special place is our kitchen island. I put it there every single day. You have people in and out of your house all the time and kids. That could be Michael Esparza. The kids can't reach it. Put it in the memory jar. How dare you. How dare you take this opportunity to bring up the fact that I gave my wife a little jar one time. Favorite memories. Lauren.
When you get married, are you going to be a traditionalist or will you take that ring on and off? I'm actually a little bit nervous about that because I don't wear rings, jewelry. I don't get my nails did. I don't like things. It always gets caught on stuff, and then it's, like, uncomfortable. Every time you wash your hands, you have to take them off, so. Well, you can take, you can, a hemp ring will slide on and off easily. Yeah. You don't have to worry about it. Bamboo. We were over this yesterday that I don't like hemp. Yeah, but won't your, won't your wedding ring be biodegradable? So, I mean, at some point, it's just going to melt off, isn't it? I want it to last forever. I don't want it to be biodegradable. You can just grab another corn husk and wrap it around. Some wheatgrass before it's blended. You'd be surprised how traditional. Oh, she's going to want a huge rock. I could see you putting it on a chain and wearing it as a necklace. I like that bit. What do you mean we'd be surprised at how traditional you are? What kind of wedding ring would you want? I would want a nice ring. Yeah? Yeah. And what kind of cut? I don't know. I don't know what those are. I mean, I know what they are, but I don't know. Princess, emerald. Yeah, I've heard the terms that he's throwing out. I've heard them before. Okay, like I knew I wanted a circle.
You know, I didn't want round. I didn't want pear. I didn't want square. What's the square one? It's a European cut, I believe. Yeah. Circle. You know what else I don't care for? I am not down with the let's go shopping for real. No. Me neither. Don't like that. We had two choices, and we went and picked. There was one, and then there was one. There was X, and then there was X plus, like, 3,000. Guess which one she picked. Didn't you want to do the thing where you like, you pick? No, I'm not an idiot. I'm not an idiot. I had no stinking idea. None. And I was like, pick something that you'll love. And she loves her Rick. That makes sense. I would want nothing to do with picking out process. No. But I wouldn't have necessarily trusted Todd on his own to pick out my ring. Yeah. Is there anything worse than picking something out? No, no, no, no, no. But what happened with me was the most ideal situation ever. My mom and Todd went together, you know, and my mom's like, I really like that one. And Todd was like, 100% saw me in the setting. Really? And he was like, that's the one. And I couldn't want a different ring. I love it. Yeah. But just grab a good girl to go with you. I had to do it myself.
Did you really? Yeah, I had to. How long did you obsess about this? I was obsessed about it for a while. Did you consult anyone? Any consultants? Yeah, well, here was how it happened for us is we knew somebody that had an in at a diamond retailer or wholesaler. Yeah. So we could go to this, but you had to know the person. Like a pawn shop? No. You had to get a password and stuff? You had to get a password. It was like Club 33. Club 33 at Disneyland. Exactly. And so we went to the place, found a, you know, I obsessed, like Woodsy said, and I finally picked something that I thought she would really love, and she did. And it's so funny, too, because her girlfriend is getting married, and her fiancé did the same exact thing, and her and her girlfriend are so similar. They really are, man. They have the same taste in everything. and her fella picked out it looks identical to my wife's ring, so it just worked out that way. It's nerve-wracking, though. I would not like that. M1 Nate, are you there? Yes, sir. You have a response to the surfer thing? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, in a way, they are accurate. Something shining on your hand will attract attention in the water, but there's a bunch of guys like myself who, when I got married, dude, I went out and got it tattooed on.
So even when the ring comes off, it's there. I like that. That's cool. My dad is a surfer, or used to be, and he buried his ring in with some clothes in the sand, and then he lost it. Are you kidding me? Yes. He's like, before he got in the water, he always had this ritual where he would put his stuff and bury it in the sand. Oh, man. Lost it. Brilliant, Dad. Hey, the president of Toyota had to answer some tough questions at a hearing yesterday. When I play you this, man, one of the questions is, will the recall solve the acceleration problem? The answer ain't good. I got that. And we're going to do something brand new called the Incorporator with Woodsy. You're going to love this. It's next. That's Friday at 6 at night. That's nice. He is awesome. And you can go to our website. That's 949SD.com. That's right. Check it out. Woodsy's going to be doing a new thing called The Incorporator. Yes, sir. And I want to explain to you how this works so you can call in with some words. And I'm going to play you what happened yesterday at this hearing about Toyota. So over the last 10 years, Woods has worked as a salesperson. Yes. Slash recruiter. That's right. And, you know, they would kind of get bored around the office every once in a while. And so in order to kind of break up the boredom.
What his boys would do is as he was talking to somebody on the phone, his boys would have him incorporate random words and phrases. For instance, he would be on the phone talking to somebody and one of the guys in the background would go, corndog. And Woods had to work the word corndog into a sentence. Maybe they would go, Patsy Cline. So, yeah, I'd be talking to a... It really happened a lot in recruiting because we were literally chained to our desks, making between 60 to 100 phone calls a day, talking to candidates. And you do that five days a week for three years, you tend to lose your mind. And so we had a big whiteboard and they would write down words and phrases. So I'd be talking to a candidate and be like, you know, have you ever heard the song Crazy by Patsy Cline? That's kind of how I'm feeling right now. And I'd have to work that into my pitch. And it was a really, really fun game. And it's really, really nerve wracking.
So I'm standing right now and I'm bouncing around. I know. Got to get ready. Now, Jay. Jay. Yes. What are we going to be, what type of business are we going to be calling? Calling a bait shop. Yes. In a little Bodunk town. All right. Far, far away. All right. So we're going to be calling a bait shop. Now, here's the thing. Woodsy is going to just talk to these people. You know, he's talking to the bait shop. And we need you to call us right now. 570-1949. And what we want you to do is we want you to give us random words and phrases that he has to work into the conversation. Yeah, real words, real phrases. Not skididdle. Yeah, not skididdle, right? But it could be skittle. Yeah, you can do skittle, sure. Or phrases, you know, top of the morning. Taste the rainbow. Mind your P's and Q's. Right. Things like that. I can do it all. He can do any of it. So call us up right now, 570-1949. I'm nervous.
Oh, it's great. I can't wait to see him give it a shot because I've seen him do it before. I know he can do it. You've seen it? Well, he's done it with me and him. You know, like he's just started talking to somebody. And I go, because I want to see if we could do it. So I just started throwing words at him. And he does. He works them in seamlessly. It's pretty fun. So call us right now, 570-1949. So Toyota. They are, I mean, this story has become so big, like we said yesterday, criminal investigation into Toyota for trying to hide the fact that they had some faulty equipment, things like that. And so the president of Toyota was up in front of members of Congress getting asked very tough questions. Very, very tough questions. And he had to answer. Do you believe that the recall on the carpet? changes and the recall on the sticky pedal will solve the problem of sudden unintended acceleration? Not totally. What do you need to do? We need to continue to be vigilant and continue to investigate all of the complaints that we get from consumers. I actually feel bad for them. Here's why. Because I believe that they probably had good intentions.
And something real bad is happening to them right now. And I don't think they really know how to fix it. I'm not really sure they know how to fix it. And I think they're in this position where they're like, we don't know what to do. We're trying our best. We don't know what to do, which is a terrible place to be. And it is awful what's happening. And at the same time, you're like, hey, you guys better figure it out. People's lives are at stake. Yeah, it's a snowball effect. Absolutely. It's awful. But anyway, so that's a deal with Toyota. And it has turned into a big, gnarly issue. We got a lot of people calling in that want to do this. So we're going to be getting to those here in just a second. Are you guys ready to do this? Yeah. We're just silent, obviously. Yeah, you guys just stay quiet. You guys just stay quiet. I will be the person that is going to be giving the words. So here's how this is going to work. We're going to call this place and we are calling a bait shop. The person on the phone will not be able to hear me.
The person on the phone will only be able to hear Woods, but you guys got to try to stay quiet. Yeah. Okay? You guys got to try to stay quiet. There's certain buttons that Mikey can push because I'd be like, wait, why can't they hear you? Yeah, we took the thing out so they can't hear us. Yeah, there's certain buttons you can push so callers can't hear. I hope you don't mess it up, Mikey. Me too. He won't. This is going to be awesome. I hope those buttons are done so that they can't hear me. You're going to give me... The ones that I have, you're not going to be throwing them at me, right? Or are you going to give me like five right now? No, throw them. What have we got? I thought that's what you wanted me to do. Throw them at him. Kid's a pro. I'm not worried about it. Write that down. I got three words right now. Let's go M1 Silical. Are you there? Yep. M1 Silical. Are you there? Cecilia. Oh, Cecilia. Cecilia. Does it say Cecilia or does it say Silical on the screen? It's a Silical. I'm a little rushed right now. He's rushed. He's rushed. Frazzled. Woodsy. Yes. I'm going to have you leave the room until I tell you to come back. Okay. No listening. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go right there so I can see on the other side of the glass. You got it. He is so nervous. He's so nervous right now. I've never seen him this nervous. Okay. Cecilia, what word do you want him to incorporate? Houses. Houses. Got it. Thank you very much. Mikey Show, who's this? This is Anthony.
Anthony, what's the phrase? You ever get that not so fresh feeling? Not so fresh feeling. Love it. That is a good one. Love it. Yikes. Woodsy is so nervous out there. I'm writing these down. Okay. And finally, M1 Grand? Grand Poobah. Grand Poobah? Yeah. All right. What's your phrase? Quit your lollygagging. Oh, I love it. That's great. Quit your lollygagging. Yeah. Awesome. Thank you. I have one. Can I add one? Yeah, you can add one. Panther. Panther. I don't know why it just came to me. Lauren, you give me one. Give me a phrase or something. Money bags. Money bags. Oh my gosh, I love it. We're just looking through the window like a little child. He is so nervous. I want to throw something at him. Come back in. He's doing like Lamaze exercises. He's practically like...
All business. Are you nervous? No, I'm not nervous. You're not nervous. Okay, I'm going to have you do the dialing. Okay. Jay. That's scary. You cannot hear me. I feel like I should turn my mic off. Yeah, you guys mute out. Should we? Yeah. Just turn them off. Here we go. Here we go. Yeah, is this the bait shop? Yeah. Hey, my name is Steve Woods, and I had a few questions for you, man. I'm kind of a novice fisherman, but it's something I wanted to get into. Yeah, not a problem. Are you local? Are you visiting? What would you like to do? I was thinking about visiting. My family's got some houses there, so I was going to come out that way here shortly. Okay. What are you looking at? Not so fresh feeling. Well, you know, man, I've never really been into fishing. I went fishing once. I kind of got stuck with a not so fresh feeling afterwards.
You know, for me, I'm really just kind of tap dancing around the whole thing to see if it's even something I want to get into. Okay. Quit your lollygagging. Fishing from a boat or from the shore or would you like a guide? You know, I think the guide would probably be best for me. Like I said, I went fishing the one time and my dad, he was just chewing me out the whole time. He's yelling at me from the shore. You know, quit your lollygagging. Get over here and get in the boat. You know? Yeah. I couldn't understand that. Panther. We have guides that leave every morning. We can do a half day. We can do full days. Okay. And if you're into bass fishing, we can do that. We have trout fishing. That's pretty solid. That's pretty solid. Yeah, you know, I've been mostly a hunter in my career. I've hunted mountain lions. I've hunted panthers. I've hunted deer. I've hunted, you know, damn near everything that you can hunt. But fishing has just always been kind of something I really wanted to get into. Okay. Well, great. Moneybags. Make an appointment with one of the guys. In fact, I'm available. Are you? Well, you know, my nickname around the house is Moneybags, so I really don't have, you know, I got money to kind of burn. So we can get a big boat. We can get a bunch of rods and reels and make it right. The boat's only 18 feet. It's not a big charter offshore kind of fishing boat. We're talking about a tracker boat.
You know, I'm planning on coming out there with a bunch of friends, so let me kind of round them up and find out what they want to do. And as soon as we can, man, we'll give you guys a shout back and we'll get something booked. Okay. All right, brother. I appreciate it. How many are you talking about going? Probably like four or five. Like four or five dudes. All right, man. All right, brother. Good talking to you. Okay. Take care. Oh, my God. Wow. That was great. Incorporated. My mic was off that whole time. I was dying. Not so fresh. That. I'm beaming right now. See, I was like, how are you about to get panther in the mix with your fishing? I've hunted deer. I've hunted panther. Can you even hunt panther? Probably not. I want to call every place in the world right now. I want to just start calling every place in the world. We need to get more words in there, like 10 next time. Oh, my God. Because I was on a roll. I could have gotten 10. I don't know where.
Jay had us calling, but I love the bait shop that answers, hello? Of course. Of course. He probably only gets like five calls a day. I know. What's this like? Is this the bait shop? Is this the bait shop? Is this the bait shop? But what would we have done if he was like, no? Sorry. Sorry. I want to call every place in the world right now. I want to call every place. Beauty salon. Oh, that was fantastic. Good job, bud. And we used to do this to candidates. We're recruiting them for a job. And I'm throwing Teletubbies into a conversation. That's awesome. That is awesome. I am in love with that. 570-1949. Well done. Thank you very much. You know what I think we'll do? You know what I think we'll do? Is that we got to figure out a way at some point where we can like. give you prizes or something. Yeah, the listeners? Yeah, you call and you got a real goofy one. Stump him. If I can't get it, they should win a prize. Absolutely. That's how we do it. Absolutely. Because that's going to come up, at least at that, you're going to come up with some real creative, weird... I don't think I can be beaten. I don't think I can be stumped. Your friends ever give you one? Never. I've never been stumped. Ever.
Because what it would look like if he was stumped is that he couldn't do it. And I'd have to bail on the call. He'd have to bail on the call. He wouldn't be able to come up with something. You did a good job, too, Mike. I was like, when are you going to tell him these words? I'm like, come on. I know. I know. What's he's looking at? Give me something, please. It's best to, you know, I say a sentence, let him talk, and then give me another one to get in the next sentence. That's what makes it most fun. But there's no, like, silent pause, really. Right. So you've got to find a way to get it in there. The fun part about incorporation is that. you want it to sound seamless and you want it to sound like a conversation. And that guy in his head right now just hung up the phone and goes, did I just say he had a not so fresh feeling? No, he's like, dude, that guy's money bags. I'm about to score this, dude. He's like, I just got off the phone with someone who hunts panthers. Yeah. Well, the dude's got money. Of course he can afford to hunt panthers. That's probably expensive, number one. Number two, he said he got money to burn. So, you know, and I love how immediately he said, hey, how many people you got? How many people you got coming to your party? You're like, 27. That was awesome. Wow. Oh, boy. Now, could Woods lose if a guy says something like... What are you talking about? Yeah, what did you just say? Yeah. That's the other deal. You know, the guy that gave the not-so-fresh feeling, that's my baseball coach. What do you mean? Anthony Otto. He goes, I'm glad you were able to get my not-so-fresh feeling. What up, dude? That's awesome. Isn't that cool? That's great.
Well, more bad news for people that like to go on cruise ships. My brother loves cruise ships. And my brother, for the record, is the guy that will find the deal and then use a coupon with the deal and then use it. So he ends up paying like $20 per person to go on like a four-day cruise. And he's inside, like he's in the belly of the boat, you know. He's in the very bottom. Right, in a closet. And he doesn't care. Yeah. But anyway, more people got sick on a cruise ship. Weird. This is scary. An outbreak basically broke loose on this celebrity cruises line. It left from South Carolina on February 15th, went to the Caribbean, and now it's on its way back. It'll be back on Friday. Oh, boy. And an outbreak of gastrointestinal illnesses. Which could mean, yeah, I mean, yeah, it's exactly what it is. Upset stomach, vomiting, number three, all of this on this cruise. People are trapped on a boat. Over 400 people.
got this illness. Is number three in your news story? No. Oh, okay. I just don't want to say the word. Right, right. Because I don't know if I can. I know what, I think everybody can kind of figure that one out. Number three. Yeah, we got it. I've never had a desire to go on a cruise. Me neither. It's just solidified it. I love cruises. Oh, never. Yeah, well, here's the thing. You know why everybody gets sick. Why? Well, it's because there's a lot of, when you go eat, there's a lot of community. You know, it's cafeteria style, which means people are going up to, say, on a cruise ship. What kind of cruises are you going on? Oftentimes, on a cruise ship, they will have, like, an ice cream machine. Soft serve ice cream machine. So everybody's putting their hand on it and pulling on the lever, right, and getting their ice cream. Just like at any restaurant. Not any restaurant. A lot. Any frozen yogurt place throughout.
Well, you might have like three or four people handling it. And the cruise, you have hundreds of people touching it. And you're right. You're right. Now, at those places where a lot of people are actually putting their hand on something, you know, like, for instance, if you go to a, if you get a fountain drink, you're not touching anything. You're touching your cup. Yeah. You're not touching the lever. Some you have to push a button. Some you have to push a button. And that creeps me out. I use my elbow. I never really thought about it. Well, if one guy's sick in the kitchen, too, he's sick the whole trip. And so he continually touches your food so you have a chance. And then you're trapped with those people in that little boat. And a lot of crew members got it. I mean, something's going around. So all these tests were sent to labs and people were put in isolation on this cruise. I got another one for you. What? You're on. You're there. And you know when they have a lot of different breads out to make toast? Uh-huh. Well, a lot of times they don't want you to just touch the toast. So what do they put out for you to grab the bread? Tongs. Right. And so you grab the... Now, hang on a second. I'm on the boat, right? I got the... I'm sick, right? Yeah. So I grab... I just wipe my nose on my finger, okay? And I pick up the tongs and I put my toast in and then I put the tongs back. Now, I'm the next guy and I grab the tongs and I put my toast in and I rub my eyes. I rub my eyes. Scratch your butt. Yeah. And what did I just rub my... What did I just rub into my eyes? Pink eye. The mucus from your nose.
Wait, but, okay, you're making people think cruises are bad. Like, you go to cruises and you order dinner and they serve it to you most of the time. Okay, and you're right. It's like a restaurant. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But what about when you're in the galley, okay, where they got the tongs, where they got the tongs, right? That's starboard or port? That would be the port side of the ship. Okay. But that's how it happens. And that's why it's more prevalent on a cruise ship. You're all together. You're all going to the galley. You're all using certain things that everybody touches. But think about the airport. Yeah, well, I think that there are probably areas where there are more of this that are happening. That's why they have automatic sinks and there's no doors on airport bathrooms. Think about on a submarine. Oh, yeah. Hey, dude, that's for real. Like on a submarine, it's probably going to happen. I mean, but what we're talking about is things that people are touching and it's community touch. That's why I keep the antibacterial hand gel in my purse at all times. Thank you. Write that down. Yeah, write that down. Mark that. Yeah. Listen, it's a good idea. I'm 50-50. I'm myself. I'm 50-50. You've never been? No, I'm like, am I a freak about this or is it prudent? Have you been? On a cruise ship? Yes. Yes. Did you get sick? I didn't, but... Seasick is a different story. Seasick's different. I didn't get sick, but...
A lot of times on cruises, they're, you know, they're really diligent about making sure that everything is cleaned. Yeah. And that's what they said on this cruise, too, that the crew staff, you know, the staff stepped it up and were cleaning like crazy the entire time. But cruise ships, for the most part, are really clean. It isn't about it isn't about it isn't about necessarily like when you look around, you go, is this clean or is this dirty? It ain't about that. It's just the stuff you don't think about. Take a blacklight to it. Let's see how clean it is. That's anywhere. That's a hotel. That's anywhere. Hotels? Yeah. So foul. Yeah. Don't even talk about it. It's just scary. So foul, dude. Stuff scares me. This will keep Mikey in his home for the rest of his life. These things. Well, I used to have a sound effects guy named Sean that was a germaphobe. Gosh. And when he would go to hotels, he would sleep in a body suit. That's cool, dude. He sounds normal. So I was actually on the cruise with Mikey. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you were. And Mikey never left his room. Mikey? Mikey. I wouldn't. At all? I did, but. Well, he came out when he had to, but otherwise he locked himself away. Why? Afraid of getting sick. Yep. Are you kidding? You get sick is when you're in your room.
No, it's when you're touching the thongs. Stop. Don't you go on the cruise. Mikey acts like they're picking up toast with their butt cheeks. See, I got sick anytime I would ever, because I've been on a few cruises, and it's when you go in your room, and you're like, but I got seasick. You did. I have no desire. This all sounds terrible. It's so fun. Cruises are so fun. They can be fun. Party. There's gambling. What's fun about them? There's pools. I go to Vegas to get the same thing. They take you to different places every day. Where do they dump their waste? Right in the ocean? I believe so, yes. I don't know, though. Lauren has to think like that. I know. I love it. You're in the middle of the ocean, Lauren. I mean, it's... What, eight tons of doo-doo? It's not eight tons. It's not eight tons. How many tons, Mikey? Three and a half. Is this you, too? Yes. You have no idea who is it. I like it. The song is called Words. Mine? You are correct. Is it? Who is it? I don't know. It doesn't say it on there. Chill out. Now, listen to this. I have America's most unhealthy French fries. I'm talking the actual places where...

Our phone number is 5701-949. Let's see. Mikey, don't know if you know this, but Mike Patton from Faith No More did the noises of the creatures in the movie I Am Legend. Really? Yeah, did you know that? I did not, dude. Mike Patton's great. Yeah?
That's kind of a cool fact. That's a cool fact. I like that a lot. Thanks for writing in. The reason it came up is because we were talking about the movie The Wolfman, that new one with Benicio Del Toro. They said that when he's changing into The Wolfman, they use David Lee Roth. And who else was he? Gene Simmons. Gene Simmons. That's so cool. To make the noises. Why don't they just use an actual wolf? I know, right? Well, because I wouldn't be talking about it if they used an actual wolf. I don't think that that's what we're talking, though. I don't think it's wolf. Is it like that? Yeah, that's it. In between. That's it. There it is. Mikey, been listening to you for over three years. Great to know you're back on the air. Thank you. M1 Lynn. Thank you, Lynn. You can. You can. Text us, 949Mikey at gmail.com. Now, these fries are in different categories, like worst curly fries. Any guesses? Not a fan of the curly. You know, I have to be in the mood for the curly. Me too. Like at Arby's. Yep. You got to really. Arby's was going to be my guess. You just got it. Is it Arby's? I just got it. Worst curly fries ever. Health-wise, they have 640 calories. However, they also on this list, they give you an alternative, a healthy alternative that you can order at Arby's. And that's the large curly fries, by the way. Instead, get the homestyle fries in a small. I always get the small. Well, you're not everyone. I always get the small because if you get the small, you feel like you're eating it all. Yeah. And you're good. Yeah. You're good to go. Wedge fries? Do you ever get wedge fries? No. I love wedge fries. I hate wedge fries. But they come with cheddar and bacon and stuff. Crazy. Delicious. Dude, first of all, wedge fries are way too crunchy on the outside. And they're soft on the inside. Sometimes they're cold on the inside, I've noticed. It's like baby food texture on the inside. What? It's all soft and ew. Full of squash when you bite. Yeah, it's like biting into a squash. It's like too much goodness and vegetable. Gross!
Well, it is. It's too thick. Well, the worst wedge fries are at Jack in the Box. Worst for you. And they are the bacon cheddar wedges. Of course. 715 calories. And would you like to hear the alternative that they offered? Sure. Water. Yeah, water. They say, instead, get this. Grilled chicken strips with fire roasted salsa. That sounds like my mom saying that. Like, that's what your mom does. She's like, don't have that. Have this spaghetti squash instead. I know that the grilled chicken is better, which is why I'm ordering the potato wedges with cheddar and bacon. I want fries. Yeah, I don't want chicken strips. By the way, have you guys met my friend? Who? This one right here, right here on my face, that red, big, tiny little zit. I don't even see what you're talking about. You keep touching it. That's why it's red. Bright red. Oh, you're annoying. I'm annoyed by you. It's a big old bright red zit. I didn't even notice it until you just shoved your finger into it and made it worse. You didn't notice it? No. Don't touch them. You're still touching it. That's, that's, that's. It's because. It's on overload. That's, that's, that's, that's. What else?
Worst fries for your blood pressure. They come from Dairy Queen, and they're the chili cheese fries, and they are good. Never had them. I don't like chili on my fries. Oh. I don't. Okay. I don't like crinkle fries. Oh, that's my favorite. Like orida? Oh, my favorite are crinkle fries. Really? They have a place in Texas called Brahms. Yeah. The best crinkle. I will eat a bucket of crinkle fries. Don't. Jay, you know Brahms? Mm-hmm. Delicious. Is that in Texas? Are we in Texas right now? Are crinkle fries actually potatoes? Yeah. Yeah. Are you talking about waffle fries or crinkle? No. I'm talking about crinkle. I don't know what crinkle is. I know what waffle is. Picture orida. Orida. What's orida? Okay, LJ. What's orida? Orida is a bag. that they sell at the grocery store of french fries, but they're frozen. Frozen fries. Oh, okay. All right. I got crinkles in them. She said, I think I've seen, you know, the...
No, I haven't. Indigent eat those before, I'm pretty sure. We ate lobster fries at our house. Yeah, yeah, lobster fries. With caviar. I have a bag of those, but they're like the little diced potatoes with peppers for breakfast. Those are called hash browns. Those are O'Brien's potatoes. They're not. Yeah, those are home fries. They're not fries. They're tiny little potato squares. Right, you call them home fries. No, they're not home fries. Fries are like strips. What else? Well, the fries at Dairy Queen, the chili cheese fries have... 1,240 calories. Wow. They recommend getting the French fries regular, which only have 310 calories. Worst regular order of fries. Now, do we have a Five Guys here? Oh, my gosh. Five Guys burgers and fries? I've heard of it. Started in my boyfriend's hometown of Herndon, Virginia. Really? Amazing. I've heard of it. Amazing. Really? Yes. Well, they have the worst regular fries. 1,464 calories. Their burgers will make you slap yourself. They're so good. Really? No, I can't. I don't want to bag on anybody else, but they are delicious. I know what you were going to say. And it's sacrilege. I know what you were going to say. That's exactly what I was going to say. It makes it look like a joke. Let me see if I'm right. Go ahead. Makes In-N-Out. Yes. Nothing makes In-N-Out look like a joke. Five guys does. Nothing. I want them to fly one into town. Absolutely.
Hundreds of times. I want it right now. My wife's birthday, that's what she asked for, to go to In-N-Out. And I like it and everything, but you know how I have that sugar reaction? Yeah. It's got a lot of sugar in it, so I get the sugar reaction. Todd doesn't like In-N-Out, and it ruins my life. Hey, listen, I'm a burger connoisseur. Look at this. What makes a good burger? Well, that's a good question. Probably the meat and the bread. The bread and a good sauce on it, too. But like the bread. And the fresh lettuce. Like Thousand Island? Yeah, I love Thousand Island. Even though it's on there, it's on Five Guys, too. Delicious. How about you, Sienna? Are you a Thousand Island girl? Eh. You don't like it? I like it. I mean, it's okay. I like it. I just, it's not very good for you, but it's not like that matter. But you're eating a burger. I know. That's why I tried to stop myself. Look at Lauren looks disgusted by the whole conversation of a hamburger. She's like, is there any coconut in there? That doesn't sound... I like a hamburger. It's made out of a cucumber. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. No way. Write that down. How do you accidentally get beef in your mouth? Matt ordered something and I said, oh, I'm going to have a bite. I didn't listen to what he ordered, so I took a little bite.
That's not right. What did it look like? I thought it was just like marinated. I thought it was actually pork. I do eat pork. Yeah. And so I thought it was just marinated in a dark sauce. Can we talk? Woods, take it easy, 12-year-old. Can we talk? No, I'm laughing because... Why does one eat pork but not beef? Right. I just don't like the way beef tastes at all. Really? Yeah, and I had a little incident, too. Pork chop steak's good. Yeah. Bacon tastes good. I had a little incident with... With beef in my mom's refrigerator, and we haven't been cool since. Write that down. Write that down. What does that mean? All of this. I saw a little gathering in the packaging, little drippings. The red? Yeah. The juice? Mm-hmm. And it bothered you? Oh, yeah. So you haven't been able to eat beef since then? Mm-hmm. But I also just don't really like the way it tastes at all. Like, I had it in my mouth, and I was like, ugh. Really? That's... But you eat chicken. Mm-hmm. I had a chicken the other night, and I had to cut the package open and cook it, and I almost vomited. I almost didn't eat it. Yeah. Because I was just slime. It's tough to cook it. You guys, it's life. Now, you know what? It's the food chain. I was about to say, what's the matter with you? Are we children? And then I just, I want everybody with me right now to picture going to the grocery store and buying the chicken with the yellow.
Styrofoam. Yes, which is what I buy. With the clear plastic wrap over it. And what do we all do? We either take a knife or you take your finger and you go up and pop through it. And you pull it apart. And then you've got to stick your fingers into the slime of the chicken. It's disgusting. It's gross. You guys, it's not. It's so foul. It doesn't gross you out, Sienna? No, it's like... Do you lick your fingers out? It's gross. Gross. Get out of my face with that comment. That is so vanilla. No, I wash my hands with soap afterwards. Yeah, you got to be really good. I have these special little kitchen scissors and I cut out the fat and everything goes down the garbage disposal. Do you really? Yeah, I get into that chicken and I make it right. I wash my hands like a thousand times when I cook. I do too. Yeah, I'm like, oh my gosh. Really? Yeah. Freak out. Gross. I made that... I made that stuff the other night, man. You got to put your fingers in it. Tell us what you made. Michael Shannon, what did you make? You got to stick your fingers in it. You got to get it all dirty. I made something called Chicken and 40 Cloves. That sounds fancy. Chicken and 40 Cloves. Sounds delicious. It is. It's great. And it's like you got to get your fingers all gross and stuff. And it's pretty disgusting. M1 Boots, are you there? I am. What up?
What's going on, guys? Not too much. Bye-ya. Woodsy, man. Five Guys is coming to Diego. Nice. Are you kidding me? When and where? Well, go to their website, man, and it already shows that there's one listed for Escondido. We are going to go on a field trip, and you guys are about to be blown away. I still haven't been to Sonic. Oh, Sonic's delicious. I know. Sienna's like, I still have menisque and dito. I have it. Wait, really quick, let me finish the list. Worst fries in America come from Chili's. They're the Texas cheese fries with jalapeno ranch, and they sound good. I've never had that. Oh, man, they'll sound good. In the best fast food fries, that was a mouthful, best fast food fries in America, where do you think? Best for you, health-wise. Mickey D's. I would actually say, you know where I think it would be good for you is actually In-N-Out because they use real potatoes, do it right there. Kid. That's why I say. I think you're right. I'm not a fan. I'm not really a big fan of the In-N-Out fries. And I know people right now in their cars were like, what are you crazy? What are you nuts? Hey, have you lost your mind? What's the matter with you? Are you legally schizophrenic? Mike, what's your problem? Let me tell you. Unless you get those In-N-Out fries when they're piping hot. Because if they get, if the temperature drops even a little bit on the In-N-Out fries, I'm out. Well.
This answer is going to make a lot of people very happy because it's the McDonald's fries. Yes. And they are good. They're delicious. The best. I don't think there's a better fry in America. They used to cook them in beef fat. I wish they still did. They changed it. The beef fat. I wish they still did. The beef and chicken drippings. They did. I don't know if it was beef stock or fat or something, but vegetarians were obviously upset about that. Weird. Really? While they were eating their quarter pounder, they were upset? No. If you go to McDonald's and you're like, okay, well, I guess if I have to choose something, I'll get the French fries because they don't have any kind of meat or anything. And then you realize that there's beef all over your French fries. Yes. It's gross. It's delicious. Don't ruin it for the rest of us. They don't anymore. Now it's vegetable. Well, that's what I mean. That's why they're healthy, though. That's why they're healthier. So the McDonald's small french fry, like Mikey gets, it's the best for you out of all the fast food fries. Mike, what's going on, man? Hey, Mikey. What's up? I think I've been living under a rock, man. I just found you again. Yeah? Let me guess. It was the billboards that we don't have. No, it's a combination of working graveyard shift and going near the 9-4 area on my dial.
Well, awesome, dude. Hey, you found us. This is what we need you to do. Okay. Paint a big mural on the side of some wall somewhere. Of your car. On the side of your car, all right? If you can. I'm sorry. Hey, can I ask you a question, Mike? Absolutely. Do you own a company that flies messages behind planes? Oh, that's a good idea. If you do, will you put The Mikey Show is on FM 94.9 and fly it above San Diego? I'll work on that. Or maybe this. If you own a t-shirt company, make one for every friend that you have and stick it on them. We'll give you a six-pack of CDs. That's right. We will. You know those air ads are cheap, too. We could just go do it right now. They're not very much. Really? Like $250. I love it. Really? Isn't that how Todd proposed to you? Don't make me laugh. My wife would die. All wives would die, too. Now, some women, I think, would think that that's really chivalrous. You would like it? I wouldn't, but some would. Some ladies like that. Some ladies are the jumbotron. Yeah, the baseball game guy. Jenny McCarthy did that for Jim Carrey on Valentine's Day. She could do about anything she wanted and it'd be fine. Little angel. You're either the jumbotron gal or you're not the jumbotron gal. Not. Some ladies are like, oh, my gosh. I would totally do it.
You would? I totally would. You're cheesy. Well, there's no question. Not me. I'm not the Jumbotron guy getter. Well, have you seen those ladies out there that say no? Really? At basketball games, like halftime and stuff like that? No, sometimes. Like, there was actually a story about this in the news last week. And people were freaking out because this girl said no at a basketball game. And it turned out that it was like a fake thing. It was a bit. Yeah. Well, they probably copied the original, which is actually true. I'm sure it happens. That would be a really, really mean girl. Yes. I would say yeah and then say no later. Well, the times that you do that, well, no. I won't say that. I will say that maybe there's a percentage of the times that you do that. The reason that you do it is because the relationship that you're in, you're not so sure she'll say yes. And so you want to do it like that just so that you're, like, hopefully guaranteeing that she'll say yes. Yeah. But we've all been through those relationships where, like, the breakup is... You ever done something really to humiliate yourself in a breakup? Sure. Well, of course. We all have.
Why does Sienna have a look like she hasn't? I mean, not during a breakup. I've done things during a relationship that are embarrassing. But, like, we never broke up after it. You've never had a breakup where you're breaking up and you do something because you're so sad or whatever that you humiliate yourself in front of them? I mean, I'll, like, cry and I, like, maybe will yell or something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't have one that really stands out when you did that? I haven't been in that many relationships, though. Only a couple. 5701949, if you have. Woodsy? Legendary story. What'd you do? You want to hear it now? Yeah, please. Okay. I was in college. I lived in high-rise, right on Lake Michigan. And my college was right on the water. And in my building, all the students parked on the fifth floor. Oops, sorry. And I lived on the fifth floor. Yeah. And my girlfriend at the time lived on floor eight, same building. To get to her apartment, she had to literally stand in front of my door to wait for the elevator to take her up to eight. No. Yes. So we break up. She, I hear her. I'm sitting in my apartment drinking by myself because I'm so upset. And I hear her.
talking to a dude standing by the elevators waiting to go up to the eighth floor. No. I flip. I run down the hall. I stick my eye into the peephole, and I'm looking at them like, oh, my God, oh, my God, oh, my God, here they are. They're there. And I'm like, I can't believe this. It's still two days after we broke up. I still had a key to replace. Oh. Oh. So I pace and drink and smoke cigarettes and pace and drink and smoke cigarettes, and I'm like, I'm going up. And I'm in my boxers, Mikey. I'm in my boxers. Yeah, that was me. I'm in my boxers. I think I had a t-shirt on. Maybe, maybe not. Right. I was wearing my glasses. I remember that. I walked upstairs. Boxers? Boxers. You're in boxers and your glasses. And I was about a bottle deep in the Jack Daniels soap. No way. Yes. So I walk up. I put my ear to the door. Oh. And I'm listening. Psycho. And I hear music. And I hear wine glasses clinking. And I'm like, I was like, this is the end of me. I was so... We'd been together forever. Yeah. Wow. Then I hear... They're laughing. So anyway, dude, I open the door with the key. And I walk in and I am... I'm a wreck. Yeah, and you're in boxers. I'm in boxers. And I'm like, how could this happen? How long ago was this? I was in college. I was probably 21. So it was 13 years ago. Can you still, right at this moment, remember the exact look on their faces?
Yeah, he tried to get hard with me, and that wasn't going to work. So I kind of pushed him down, and he stuck in between the coffee table and the couch. So his legs were kind of up on the coffee table, and his butt was pushed down the floor. And I just said, you need to stay there because you don't want to mess with me around. My jaw is dropped open right now. And she was like, get out of my house, the same bit. And I was like, all right, later. So I left. We've all been there. When I woke up the next morning, I... I wanted to die. I wanted to pack my apartment and move home. And I think I actually called my mom and was like, yeah, I'm dropping out. My mom had to talk me down from the ledge. Truly. Did you see both of them on campus after that? He didn't go to school. He was like a hippie and grew vegetables or something. I don't know. Sounds cool. Call us right now. That was bad. 570-1949. Basically, my wife could call right now and go, well, which time should I mention of you, honey? Where do I start? Yeah, which humiliating thing did you do in front of me a million? My wife is the most composed woman I know. They all are. Like, she's the most composed woman I know. Like, she never did the weird thing, you know? 570-1949. Call right now if you had just the most humiliating moment.

And listen, I do not begrudge it. I think that when, especially when we're younger, you know, we do stuff that we're, you know, not that proud of. 570-1949. Lauren, what did you do? Can I give a little shout out real quick? Sure. Okay. I want to give a shout out to my girl, Ella. Yeah. She's my favorite fifth grader. She's got a big basketball game this weekend. Sweet. Yeah. She right, yeah? Yeah. Well, her mother did. Sweet. And she wanted me to give her a little shout out. That's nice of you. Yeah.
Good luck. Stop stalling. Okay. Well, my first love broke my heart. Went through a little breakup. You're so nervous to tell this story. You're very nervous to tell the story. Yeah. It can't be worse than mine. Yeah. More embarrassing. I know, but it's just like. Like breaking and entering. Yeah, I guess so. Best way to do this. Is just jump in the water. Yeah. It's going to be cold. It's the same guy who, when we got in a big fight, like two days before the breakup, I took like his remote control, his key. So that he'd have to see you. So he'd have to come. So he does come see me. Right. There ensues the breakup. And I was, I was on the floor and it was in my living room in my apartment. And I was like, I got down on my knees on the floor and I was like, no. And I was crying and everything. He's like, look, I gotta go. I gotta go. And he left. And I cried in that same spot for like a half an hour. Curled up in a ball and fell asleep on the floor. Cried myself to sleep. Been there. Yeah. Now when I think about it, I'm like, wow. Why? Why, why, why? But I was young. Woodsy. Dude, you heard mine. Yeah. I probably got him.
I've got a bundle. Oh, yeah. Kid was a little unstable back in the day. I'm definitely a crier. Like, I would just hysterically cry. But once I got home, you know, I was already home. I mean, I definitely cried in front of him, but not like I got to that point where I was like, you know, but it was when I was home. Like the. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I've done that. That's humiliating. I have too. Yeah. Way worse. Yeah, I have... Oh, I've left some messages. Oh, the messages. Some very pathetic messages. Oh, the messages. Have you left voicemails for people? Dude, yes. Now? Yes. Yeah, what's the one that... Ten in a row. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And then it's like, you go through the whole spectrum of emotions, but... The problem is you do it in 10 minutes, and you do it in 10 voicemails. Like, I can't believe this is happening. Why are you doing this? And then it's, you're a bee, and I can't stand you. I hope I never see you again. I'm going to go out and fight another girl tonight. Right. Two minutes later, I'm sorry. I don't know what to do. I'm lost. Why don't you just call me back? Just call me. Just talk about it. Why don't we just talk? This is killing me. And then, like, after that one, right, like, totally lucid and rational.
Listen, it's Steve. It's Steve. Why don't we just talk? Let's just talk. We're friends. We've been through a lot. I think we should just talk. Just call me back. Call me back. And then 10 minutes later, you still haven't called me. This is BS. Wow, these are a lot of messages. M1 Dory. Hey guys, good morning. My story's kind of like Woodsy's. I don't know if it's a guy thing or what the deal is, but basically I had just broken up with my high school sweetheart, you know, my first love. And my friends decided they wanted to take me out, you know, kind of get my mind off things. But they took me to a bar that literally the only thing separating the bar from her apartment was an alley. And so, you know, the night was over. It was about 2 in the morning, you know, had a couple drinks, and we all said our goodbyes. and I'm sitting in the parking lot, and it's kind of like putting food in front of a starving kid. You know, I mean, I'm looking at this alley like, all I got to do is cross it. All I got to do is go see what she's doing. And so I went up to her apartment, knocked on the door, and she came to the door. She wasn't wearing any clothes. And I basically said, hey, you know. She came to the door and answered the door? Yes, she answered the door. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I do that all the time. Wait, wait, wait. She answered the door naked?
Yeah, she kind of hid behind the door, you know, your head shows, but I could tell that she sleeps naked. Oh, dear. Well, I asked her, hey, can I come in for a little bit and just kind of, like you said, talk about it. You know, let's talk, let's talk. And she was kind of refusing to let me in, and that was kind of weird, just because, you know, on a normal night, I'm thinking, okay, we come in, we'll put some clothes on, we'll talk. As we're kind of having this spat about why I'm not being let in, I hear... bathroom toilet flush and my heart like dropped right into my stomach and i got so upset you're like that you're like that's an that's a new dog you got right yeah please tell me please tell me that's a new dog you got oh look at me with this face like i'm sorry you weren't supposed to be here and i'm i i literally left i went to my car and i just could not stop shaking i was like tremor like every single second i just had involuntary muscle spasm i was yep freaking out. It was horrible. You left, though. Yes. You're a better man than I, dude. I had to. I mean, honestly, I wanted to go in there and just rip this guy's head off, but I was in such a bad shape at that moment. Emotionally, I was so just wrapped up in my own world. Right. Now I get it. She sounds like a peach. So what happened down the road? Anything? Yeah, we still kind of talk here and there, but really mainly just...
friends um it still kind of stays as the last you know image of of our relationship and it really definitely put a nail in the coffin if you know what i mean it's brutal when you humiliate yourself in front of somebody it's the worst he did a lot better than i would have done in that situation she's naked so you know what they're up to yeah you would have busted the door down there i would have kicked the door down and that guy would have like a crazy guy thrown out the window yeah yeah Hey, buddy. Get out. Beat it. Yeah. Get. Get. Woodsy has had some less mature days. Oh, man. I'm an adult now. Yeah, you are. Mark that down. That's pretty funny. 570-1949. I don't skateboard with jukeboxes or anything, but I'm an adult. Or play World of Warcraft all night. Hey, play that. Skateboarded with juice boxes in his shorts one time. He fell. And you're not going to let it go? No. 949mikey at gmail.com. Or you can give us a call. 570-1949. People are too afraid to call with us. I don't blame you. It's rough. When you do it, it's rough. What else have I not told you about?
So much happened in the news today. The Tony Kornheiser thing, in case you missed it, Tony Kornheiser went on the radio and talked about his colleague at ESPN, Hannah Storm, and said this. I want to point out, for those of you looking at ESPN, I'd like to point out Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today. She's got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt, way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. And she's got on her typically very, very tight shirt, so she looks like she's got sausage casing wrapped around her upper body. I mean, you know, honestly, I know she's very good, and I know I'm not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, like point out that, you know, people who... say that they lost 50 or 60 pounds, have actually gained all the weight back. Yeah, I mean, I'm not supposed to do anything like that, so I won't. I wonder if he wants to be fired from ESPN. He's got to be trying to get out of a contract. He's got to be trying to get out of a contract, right? So he's just doing it to get out of a contract. Because that's crazy things to say. At the expense of somebody else, though, that seems a little low. Yeah. Well, and the worst part of it, too, is now Hannah Storm has to answer that question. Oh, no.
No. In interviews. So tell us about Tony Kornheiser. Tell us what that, you know, how did you deal with that? She should just be like, I can't believe he said that. Have you seen that dude? Yeah. Like, not even, don't say that, but just take the high road and just kind of laugh about it. Be like, look, I'm comfortable with what I'm wearing. I'm comfortable with the way I look, you know? She could probably call Tiger Woods a speech writer and get like a really good, like, something. So mean. Like, get something like, you know, just get something that's out there. She should just try to kind of laugh about it, and people will think she's rad. Whatever she says, she's going to be the winner. Yeah, for sure. M1 Simone. Yes? What happened to you? Oh, gosh. Okay. I was a senior in college. I had been dating my boyfriend for four years. I go over to his place, and it's the typical break-up-with-you conversation, but I was not having it.
Can I interview you and walk through the process? Because this fascinates me. Fascinated. I am fascinated. Me too. So can I walk through the process with you? Sure. Did he call you and say, hey, can you come over? And was that out of the norm, the way that he asked you to come? Well, it was, let's see. Things were just, you know, when you know things are going kind of bad, but you just aren't paying attention to the signs. And he was just not that into me anymore. But I was not having it. By the way, when you just asked the question, you know when, you know, you know things aren't going well and Lauren was shaking her head. Yes, I do. I know. I remember those times. Yeah. It's not that you don't pay attention to the signs. It's that you choose to ignore them. It's in denial to the nth degree. Yeah, you're in denial. So you went over and when you came inside, did he say, can you sit down? No, but it was, you know, that look on their face when they're about to do it. And he was very calm. Very together guy. And I wasn't crying or anything yet, but I just knew it was coming. It's like brace for impact. But so he says all of the cliche lines that guys say to girls when they're breaking up. Like what? You know, we're graduating soon. I don't know what my plan is. I should focus on that. I might be moving. It's not you. It's me. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Right. Very, very gentle and nice about it. But I was just like, no, no. I love the refusal. Yeah.
I was very calm because the panic hasn't set in yet. And so I was like, no, no, no, no, that's not going to happen. Amazing. So I'm sitting there and I decide, oh, my God, this is awful. I know how you feel. I love her. Okay, Simone. It's a safe place. It's a safe place. Okay. I pick up my phone and I call his mother. Oh, my God. It's great. It's fantastic. It gets better. This gets better. Wow. So I'm called Mrs. So-and-so. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Stop. What? Do you take your cell phone out of your purse? Yes. And does he look, does he know who you're calling or is he just looking at you like, what are you doing? I can't quite remember if I said I'm about to call your mom or. Okay, so you call her. I guarantee a lot of people have done this, by the way. Really? Oh, girls especially. Like, they're like, well, I know what will stop you from breaking up with me. Your mom loves me. She's going to be so mad. I'm going to tattle on you. I won't let this happen. She adores me. I'm perfect for you. Blah, blah, blah. Right. I call his mom, and I'm just like, Mrs. So-and-so, this person, your son, your son's trying to break up with me. And she was, I was doing all the talking, and she was just kind of like, oh, well.
I'm really sorry, sweetie. Oh. Right. And he was just kind of staring at me like, you've lost your marble. Right. Right. And then this gets better. So this is really late, and I was at his place, and walking distance to mine, I could very well have gone home. He's just like, dude, I don't know what else to tell you. I'm so exhausted. I've got to get up early tomorrow. I'm going to bed. So he goes into his room and goes to bed. I fall asleep on his hardwood floor. Oh. Yeah. Oh, man. That is rough. So wait, wait, wait. That is rough. Morning comes. Yeah. You're lying on the hardwood floor. That's when the crying started, so I'm sure he heard me, you know, crying. He knew, oh my gosh, she's still here. She's here. Yeah, I want every guy right now, I want every guy to imagine you wake up to the sound of your now ex-girlfriend who you've broken up with. I mean, if he had any question of not breaking up with me, I blew it. Oh, man. Oh, man. So I can't really quite remember. I think I came to and then just walked home before he got home. Oh. We've never talked since. Never? Wow. Can you blame her? No. I've gotten better. This was 10 years ago.
That was 10 years ago? Yeah. So embarrassing. Are you married now, or are you in a relationship? I'm in a very healthy, good relationship, and I learned from that, and my psycho chick is gone. Yeah, that's good. I was young. I was really young. Everyone does crazy stuff. It happens. That was a rad, rad, rad story. Simone, Simone, it was great. It was great. I know. And Simone's not my real name. There's no doubt in my mind that your name is not Simone. I was thinking the same thing. Simone. Thank you. Thank you, Simone. I love that she's driving. She's like, I have a really good story. What could my name be? What could my name be? I've always liked the name Simone. You hear something? I know. Simone. Simone. It speaks so unusual. Simone. Yeah. Did you have to pick a name that was so, like, crazy? I love it. Yeah. Veronica or something. Yeah. That was awesome. This is Jitsu Ansa. Thank you, Simone. Of course. Simone. That was rad. I love her. I think we could be friends. Let's get her up in the studio. I love her. She's awesome. Can she come in on Friday? Yeah, please. Simone, call back. Simone, call back. Come in on Friday. We want to hang out. We won't tell anyone that you were really Simone. We'll put a bag over your head so the webcam won't see you. Yeah.
Call us with your... M1 Nikki, are you there? I'm here. Hi. Hi, hang on just a second. I just want people to call us if they have their crazy stories. 570-1949. This was playing in my head as I was riding up the elevator with her key in my hand to go break into her apartment. Oh my gosh. I'm crazy for feeling so lonely. Listen to that velvet voice. It's one of my favorite songs ever. How many of us right now that are listening have ever been on our knees crying over somebody? Everyone. On our knees. Were you begging him? Like begging him not to go? Yeah. See, I've done it. I've been on my knees crying. She just wasn't there.
Yeah, that's the same as me. I never, like, begged, I don't think. And then I had, like, the breakup song where I would, like, play it and be like, I can't believe it. You were like Brenda in 90210 that played Losing My Religion over and over and over and over. And it's sad that I know that. I can't listen to sad music when I'm going through a breakup. That's all I do. That's all I do. The Cure Disintegration. I make a breakup CD. Yeah. Really? Yeah. Lauren and I are, like, two peas in a pod. Doesn't it kill you? Yeah, but you need to get it out. Really? Nikki, are you there? I'm here. What did you do? I was 16 years old and I ran away from home to make him feel bad. Like for just like eight hours. Like I was just gone for eight hours. Where did you go? And I knew my mom would go, do you know where she is? Just to make him feel terrible. But then when I got back, like there was cops. Oh my gosh. Backfire. I felt so bad, and I didn't even care what he thought because I felt so bad for, like, my mom and everything. He did end up calling me and asking me if I was okay and, you know, that sort of thing. But I did the whole thing just to make him feel bad. That's out of control. Where did you go, Nikki, for eight hours? No, I just walked.
I remember I walked to, like, Target. She's a little runaway. I used to run away all the time. For what? When I was little. Oh, my God. I did. I would go, like, to my neighbor's house. My neighbors had this, like, little access to their roof. Yeah. And, like, right by our backyard. And I would just go and, like, sit on their roof. And no one would know that I was there. And then I would go home, finally, after a lot of time passed. And no one even noticed I was gone. She's up there blasting cigs on the neighbor's roof. I remember, no, I was like a little kid, like eight or something. My wife, my wife will kill me for telling you this story. I can't wait. She, when she was a kid, oh, right now she's like, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't. You have to. You have to. You have to, you have to, you have to, you have to. Is she really going to be mad? Sorry, babe. She's not going to be mad. She's going to be really embarrassed I tell this story. When she was a kid, when she was like seven. or eight she packed her little suitcase it's like seven or eight packed a suitcase and was leaving and her mom goes where are you going and she said i'm going to yube and her mom was like what is that yube and she told her you know you know like all sassy and rebecca thought that that song i'll be making my way back to you
And so it's the only place she could think of when her mom said, where are you going? It's the only thing she could think of to say. But she wanted her mom to know, like, I have a destination. Yeah. And I am, like, I'm leaving and you're, sorry, you're daughterless. That is so cute. And the only thing that came into her head was the place that she knew on the song was Yube. And her mom was like, you know, where is that? And she was like, you know. You know. And later, she told her later, it was because I've been making my way back. Working my way. Working my way back to you, babe. Right now, she is cringey. Why? That's an adorable scene. Oh, shoot. Oh, she does not. Like, that story, I knew her eight years before she told me. See, I was a middle child, a.k.a. the forgotten child. Yeah. So I used to, like, I had a little tiny suitcase, too. And I'd be like, just so you know, I'm packing my bag. I love. Nobody cares. They're like, all right. Nobody cares. See you later. Good luck. Lauren has told us stories before that often begin with, just so you know. Yeah. Right, Lauren? Oh, yeah. For sure. It follows you. Yeah, she's a just so you know. Just so you know, I'm deleting your number right now. Like that kind of thing, right? Or maybe it will be like a more controlled, just so you know.
Yeah. I have decided that I'm changing my email address. It's all dramatic. And I'm not going to give you the new one. And they're like, okay. Yeah, basically. But I want you to know that I'm not. Like, I know I've done that before, but this time, I'm not kidding. I'm really changing my email address this time. Okay. But seriously, I am. Okay, I said it was cool. Okay, but you probably don't believe that I am. Go ahead, dude. Kick rocks. Beat it. Okay, you're going to see that my email's changed. Okay. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out. Fine. Try to email me tomorrow and see what happens. Hear about what John Daly's endorsing? I'll give you a hint. It has to do with undergarments. Oh, yeah. That's nice. Well, there's hope for you and I, buddy. Yeah? Because if John Daly is going to be endorsing underwear, then you and I definitely have a shot. Absolutely. There's a company called Slix. S-L-I-X. Slix. Slix. It's a good name for underwear. Is it? It's an online company. It's an online company that began about four months ago. And, you know, he just had lap band surgery. He's lost like 100 pounds, so he looks pretty good. Oh, really? But he is going to be their new pitch man for their new man panties. Really? Yes. Mantis. Mantis. Mantis. Yes. Do they say anything about them, like what they look like? No, but I'm dying to see them. Yeah. My guess is...
You know, full cut. Full back. Full back? Full back. No thong or teabag. Okay. No boy shorts or anything? Well, of course they have to be full back. What if they're briefs? Gross. I love briefs. What do you mean gross? Briefs are gross? Yes! Why are they gross? They're like the shorts? Those are boxer briefs. Those are boxer briefs. Briefs. Oh, I'm talking boxer briefs. Yeah, I don't have those. Nobody does anymore, dude. I'm sure my dad does. Everybody's dad does. I don't even think my dad does. My dad wears boxers. Oh, my dad has bought the same underwear from JCPenney his entire life. I just go commando. Ew. Ew. TMI. Also, so if you're thinking about Philadelphia Eagles. Yes, I am. Besides Donovan McNabb, who's kind of the face of that franchise? Brian Westbrook? Exactly. And he is no longer an Eagle. Did you know that? I didn't know that. They released Brian Westbrook. No way. That's why I was thinking maybe LT. Hey, maybe it's a good fit up there, man. No way. Yeah, they released him. He's had some injuries. He had some concussions last year. He's a two-time Pro Bowler. The guy's a pretty stand-up dude. Good, good guy. Really good for the team.
He's no longer there. They let him go. It's going to save them $7.5 million. What do I do with my jersey? That's a good question, right? What do LT people do with their jerseys? Well, half the people still wear them, man. You still wear them. Should I still rock my Westbrook jersey? I guess so. It shows that you really loved Westbrook when he was there. I still rock my 49er Jeff Garcia jersey. Do you really? I went to high school with him. What are you going to do? You got it. Don't big time us, dude, okay? I'm just telling you, man. I stood on the sideline while that guy played. The guy was slinging heat all over the field. That's right. So also, the Chargers, we've been talking a lot about this week because they let LT go. Vincent Jackson's been in trouble. They don't know what they're going to do with Sean Merriman. We talked to Kevin Acey, their sports writer, sports writer yesterday. Yep. Darren Sproles is another question mark. Are you kidding me? No, there's another question mark with him. They're going to continue to talk a multi-year deal with him, but... It's going to be hard for them to justify the $7.3 million one-year tender that it would take to keep him. Do it. They're going to be busy in free agency. They're going to be busy on the trade market, and they're going to be busy in the draft. Make it happen. Yep. I think that's a... People are going to freak out. See, that's part of it. Like, I understand the business of winning, and I understand all that. But, man, there is, like, you do that. Oh, man. People love them. So Major League Baseball has a message for players and employees in spring training.
Yeah. Guess what it is? Stop using steroids. That's a good message. They've already done that. They've already stopped. It's a totally clean sport now, as far as you know. They've banned guns, knives, and explosives. Were they a problem? From the clubhouses. Finally. I know. I think why they did it is because of the Plaxico Burris situation in the NFL and then the Gilbert Arena situation in... The NBA, you know, he brought guns into practice and he brought guns into games. And it's just, you know, you just want to make sure they're covering all their bases. Yeah, you would think that would already be an unspoken thing. One would think. Yeah. Don't bring a trident to practice. Leave your tummy gun at home. That's right. That's right. Speaking of John Daly. Yeah. Speaking of chubby golfers. I went golfing yesterday. I'm really. I've been waiting all morning. I think a lot of people have. Oh, yeah. About the golf. Oh, wow. Let's see. And we have an email from my instructor. Oh, nice. Yeah, but we don't have the video yet because he videotaped me. While he was teaching you? Yeah, he videotapes your golf swing and works with you on your golf swing based on the videotape. That's great. So are you going to be able to get this video on the website? Yes, we are. Okay, good. Yes, we are.
He says, hey, guys, thanks for coming out yesterday. Really enjoyed working with you guys and excited about the future lessons together. I've tried to attach some videos from yesterday's session, but they are too big. Do you have any advice on how to compress them? Lauren? Use the YouSendIt program. Yeah, yeah, you got to email him. I'll give you his email address and you can tell him. I think you did well and that you show promise as a golfer. I want you to remember. You just have to be patient with this game like we talked about. See you next week, Lee. He was great. Lee, Lisa Nudo is his name. He was awesome. He really was. Awesome. Because what he does is he finds out like kind of what you, the way that you process information and the way that you learn, and then he does it that way. Yeah, we went to, Mikey and I went up to Carlsbad Golf Center. They could not have been nicer. cooler people, more supportive of the whole deal. It was really cool. It was awesome. You know, I knew Mikey was going to be nervous because you swung a club once in your life? Yep. Once. So we get out there, if you don't mind me telling. Yeah, go ahead. We get out there, and I'm nervous. Mikey is a dear friend of mine, and I'm like, oh, God, this is going to be bad. This is going to be bad. Yeah. Way to be supportive, friend. Well, it's true. I didn't say anything. He didn't say anything. I was supportive. I got his clubs out of his car for him. I was like his caddy. He was really cool.
So we get up there and Lee starts talking to Mikey and they work on their grip. And Mikey has a really good grip. Like it was almost a natural grip. Yeah. So Mikey steps up. We put the first ball down. Mikey swings and misses. Yeah. The very first one. Yeah. Let me tell you, though, he hit probably 60 balls. Did not swing and miss the rest of the day. Did not swing and miss. Hit. The fence was probably 100 yards out. Hit probably three or four over the fence on the fly. Was rad. That's awesome. It was rad. I loved it. You could be a professional. You loved it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Professional eater. No, I had a great time. I really had fun. We had a blast. That's awesome. We had a blast. And I'm looking forward to, I think we're going to go hit balls Friday. Yeah, dude. Going to go hit balls Friday. It's very important to practice because it is muscle memory. How crazy is this? I want to. Yeah. It's a good time. Yeah. It was fun. It was. It was a lot. And Woodsy almost didn't make it there. Why? He got lost. First of all, he calls me a half hour before we, you know, are supposed to be there. And I was just going in to get my little golf shoes. Your little golf shoes? My little golf shoes. Teeny golf shoes. Yeah. And so I called him back when I was done. And he was talking to me about something else. And I'm like, are you good? Are you like almost there? And he goes.
Yeah, I'm following the directions, whatever, blah, blah, blah. And he was using his TomTom, right? Of course. Using his TomTom. He needs it. TomTom lady, thank goodness you were there for the kid. I'm just doing my job, Mikey. Yeah, thank goodness you were able to get him right where you had to get him at the golf course. Yes, like I said, just doing my job, Mikey. Yeah, you said that the first time. But you sound... You don't sound like your normal self, TomTom girl. Well, Mikey, here's the thing, Mikey. I'm just getting a little bored of the routine. The routine of being in Woods' car? It's a lonely, lonely place, Mikey. I basically just live in a car. I don't have any friends. And I actually only talk to anyone when Woods gets in his car. Really? Well, that's very sad. And he sleeps most of the day, so I'm basically alone. Yes. That is sad. That is sad, right? Little tom-tom girl needs a friend. She needs a friend. I didn't expect to be programmed with feelings, Mikey. Yeah, but you have them, and you have to deal with that. I do. Well, I think I have an idea. I'm open to anything, Mikey. I was just going to ask if you were open to some ideas.
Because I have an idea. What I think, I think I might know somebody for you. What do you mean by somebody, Mikey? Well, if you allow, I would like to play matchmaker. I'm not programmed to understand what that means, Mikey. What it means, TomTomGirl, is that I am going to try to set you up with someone else and, you know, you may fall in love with them and then who knows, you could be, you could get married, you could live together, that kind of thing. I'm very interested in a romantic situation, Mikey. Then I think that this could be perfect. Well, I'm going to call him, okay? Okay. I'm going to call him. I'm going to get him on the phone. I'm going to use my rotary. Or not. And welcome to Movie Phone. Hi, Movie Phone Guy. If you know the name of the movie you'd like to see, press 1. Well, I don't really want to see a movie, Tom. I don't really want to see a movie, Movie Phone Guy. I don't want to see a movie. I actually want to talk to you for a second, if you don't mind.
What can I help you with? Well, the reason I'm calling is because I don't know if you're single. I am single. You are single. I think I might have somebody that you might be interested in. Sounds great. Her name is TomTomGirl. You may know her from the TomTom GPS device. No. TomTomGirl, say hello to my friend, movie phone guy. Good afternoon, movie phone guy. Good afternoon, Tom Tom girl. You know what's really interesting? You know what's really interesting about the two of you meeting is that it's morning, yet you're saying good afternoon to each other, which is really weird. Good afternoon, Tom Tom girl. In Woods' car, it's actually the afternoon because he wakes up so early, Mikey. That's right. Well, um...
Yeah, what I thought we would do is I would introduce the two of you, and maybe you guys will hit it off. You know, it's very possible that you guys could hit it off, as long as you're open to that. You know, why don't you guys get to know one another a little bit? Why don't you, you know, do you have any questions for, would you be open? First of all, would you be open to it, movie phone guy? Absolutely. You would? Okay, well, that's good. And TomTomGirls already said that she would be open to it. First of all, TomTom Girl, since you don't have the benefit of seeing movie phone guy, does he sound attractive? I like his voice, Mikey. Does it sound hot? Do you know what that means? Hot? I believe you mean attractive, Mikey. Yes, does he sound attractive? It sounds rather attractive, and I like the cheerfulness undertones. Yeah. Well, what do you think? Maybe I send you guys out to eat somewhere. Would you like that? I think that sounds appropriate. Okay. For Applebee's, press one. For Chili's, press 2. For TGI Friday's, press 3. All right. Let's see what selection she's going to make here. Let's see if she wants to make it. You have selected Applebee's. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Applebee's, TomTom Girl. As long as those are my selections, Mikey, I would actually prefer this pample moose you've been talking about, but I'll take what I can get. Yeah. You have selected Applebee's.
Applebee's. We didn't make a selection. You have selected Applebee's. No, no, no. I think Pamplemousse. She said Pamplemousse that she wanted to go to. For Applebee's. For Chili's. Press two. You have selected Applebee's. Okay. Well, I guess you guys are going to go to Applebee's, TomTom Girl. What do you think of that? I would say that sounds adequate, Mikey. Tom Tom Girl, do you want to get to know him a little bit better? You want to ask him any questions or anything? Yes. Would it be appropriate if I ask you some questions, movie phone guy? Yes. Yes, it would. Go ahead, Tom Tom Girl. What do you want to ask him? Well, this is slightly awkward in front of everybody. Movie phone guy, may I call you MFG? Yes. Actually, I think that would be MPG. Correct. Sounds like you guys really have a great dynamic already. This is nice. It really is. What kind of music do you like? For Kings of Leon, press 1. For Pearl Jam, press 2. Red Zeppelin, press 3. I'm not really sure I understand the question because I'm asking you.
What kind of music do you like? This shouldn't be options for me. For Kings of Leon. For Pearl Jam. Press two. For Led Zeppelin. Press three. I don't want to make a selection, MPG. I'd like you to tell me what kind of music it is that you like. He doesn't know what to say. For Kings of Leon. For Pearl Jam. He's confused because he's not used to telling things. He's used to more of giving out the options, I think, is the deal. Why don't you ask him something else? Ask him something about it. Okay. What kind of vacation do you prefer, MPG? For Hawaii, press one. For Europe, press two. For Colorado, press three. May I insert other choices here?
For Hawaii, press one. That's probably a no, then. For Europe, press two. It's a no, I would think. For Colorado, press three. Well, let's just leave that for later, then. Okay. Well, you know, I thought this was a good idea, and I still do. I just think that you guys sound a little awkward together right now. Perhaps it's the nerves, Mike. Yeah, it could be the nerves, because you guys sound like you're... nervous around each other, I got it. We'll send you to Applebee's, okay? If you know what time I should pick you up, press 1 for 6.30. Well, she'll know how to get there. TomTomGirl will know how to get there, right, Tom? 7 o'clock. Yeah, TomTomGirl, you'll know how to get there, right? Press 3 for 7.30. That's kind of my thing, Mikey. Yes, it is. So, movie phone guy, MFG, are you cool going to Applebee's tonight with your new girl, TomTomGirl? Yes.
This will be most exhilarating, Mikey. Yes, it will. It will. Well, thank you, movie phone guy. I really appreciate you taking the time. Thank you, Mikey. Okay, we'll see you later. Movie phone guy is kind of a mouth breather. Yeah, a little bit. Yeah, he is a little bit of a mouth breather. And it's so weird. It sounds like movie phone guy had a dip in his mouth. That's weird. So strange. Don't ruin it for me, Mikey. No, no, no. That shouldn't ruin it for you. If a movie phone guy happens to chew tobacco, there wouldn't be any problems with that, Tom Tom Girl. So long as he doesn't spit into my buttons, Mikey. What do you think that you'll wear, Tom Tom Girl? Probably plastic. Okay. Maybe black or silver plastic. What are you looking for in a man? Basically, if he can give me more than just options. Okay. I'd like him to be able to converse with me, Mikey. I think that's probably a good idea. I think that would probably be a really good idea. What'd I miss? Well, Woodsy, we just set Tom Tom Girl up. You know, you're Tom Tom. Yeah. We just set her up with Movie Phone Guy. As long as she's still there to take care of business when I need it, I'm in. That's fine. She needs a life. You know she always is. That's fine. She's always going to be there for you. I hope she has a great time. I'll be home by myself. You'll be great. Tom Tom Girl is the best. 570.

Just the fact that you get hit by a train once and then you're able to live through it to be hit by a train twice is sort of a story within itself. But how did that happen? Well, this guy in Irvine, he actually lost his hand after being dragged by a commuter train two weeks ago in Irvine.
And he has just been hit by a train again. He claimed that he fell from the platform on the tracks at the Irvine station and then was hit by a northbound train on Tuesday morning, yesterday morning. But people are like, OK, wait a minute. That's what you said happened for the first accident. Right. So he's being checked right now for mental health. Really? Yeah. Because it's a little bit weird. How do you get hit by two trains, you know, in two weeks? And he gave the same explanation both times. So it's a little weird. Not adding up. Yeah, the second accident, he injured his wrist. Yeah. It's very sad. It's just very scary. Lucky he'd be alive after both of those, you know? M1 Worm. Hey, what's up, man? What's going on? I've been listening to the show for like five years in that last movie phone bit. I was choking on a piece of pineapple laughing so hard. Even in the midst of not knowing how the choking was going to end up, like my body was still trying to laugh. It was hilarious. That's fantastic. That's fantastic. Thank you, Worm. All right, see you. We appreciate it. Let's see. Five surprising things that you can actually throw in the recycling bin.
We have some serious recyclers here. Yeah, we do. Let me see. Bologna and chunks of raw meat. I get filleted every single day for throwing my thing in the wrong bin. I follow you guys. Lauren and Jay. Like, Jay has a whip, like Indiana Jones. Yeah. It's a good thing to know, though. Oh, absolutely. I'm like, you can't recycle a pastrami sandwich? No. You recycle cans, paper, cardboard, water bottles. What about? What about a Starbucks cup? Yeah, you could recycle that. With a lid? I don't know about the lid. I'm always questionable about the lid. Well, take the lid off, throw it away, and recycle the cup. At least do one thing good. Which can't even figure out which trash can is. The blue can is recycling. How am I supposed to know? Well, it's blue. I don't get it either. Why am I the only one? You're just as bad as me, and I'm the only one that gets filleted for it. Because you're publicly open about it. And you're always like, I don't care. I'm like, come on, I care. So Mike is in the closet about it, and I'm out of the closet. Because you're like, oh, hippies. Hippies. No, I need to figure it out. I don't know what to do. And then I'm like, well, it's got a staple on it. Are they going to kill me for that? Yeah, I take the staples out. Oh, my God. It's too much work. Even the envelopes that have the little clear plastic, I take that part out. Oh, wow. Lauren O'Brien. Otherwise, it either contaminates the whole thing, or they just...
They can't use it. Or a dolphin will choke on it or something. Yeah, exactly. A beluga tuna will somehow lose its life somewhere. I cut the soda rings. Oh, absolutely. I cut the soda rings. No, you don't. You have to. Wait, what? Yes. What do you mean the soda rings? Dude, they'll choke. The exotic ones that hold a six pack together. They'll choke a dolphin or something. What about the tuna that can't choke a dolphin? They'll choke a dolphin. Imagine if you killed a dolphin. What about the tuna that gets stuck in those nets? Right. Those taste good, so they're fine. Yeah, that's okay. Okay. Yeah, it's good. But this is something we can prevent. I actually have seen birds with a bottle thing around their neck. Yep, exactly. And it's like they're choking. They slowly starve to death. So it's like it takes me two minutes with scissors to get the plastic up. Jay performs CPR on a pigeon. You know what? And I get that because I do that too, Jay. The plastic things I actually, because I chew everything, I actually chew those. Oh, you sure you do. Honest to God, I do. How do you still have teeth? I don't know. He chews everything. Look, I got a straw in my hand. And he dips and he smokes and it's like, oh. Don't worry about it. And I'll take solid teeth. I'll find like my pens and highlighters, which as you guys know mean a lot to me. Nod. I'll nod up. Look, I can't keep anything nice around the kid. Oh, yeah. Why do you think my pens are all on this side? It doesn't matter. He finds them. Like he gets my stuff.
And I find my stuff and it's all chewed up. Let me ask you something, Mikey. I stayed at your house for a while. Have you found any chewed up bottle caps or anything anyway? Of course we did. Well, his wife, I was telling, I was saying the story at dinner last week that after Woods leaves his studio, I clean up after him. And on Friday in particular. It was rubber, metal, plastic, wood. Like, every material you could think of was, like, chewed up underneath where he was sitting. And she was like, oh, you should see at home. She was like, I find it in every crevice of the home. Why don't we just bring a log in here and let you make a totem pole for us? I can do all of our faces? Yeah, you chew all of our... Whittle it with your teeth. Whittle it with my teeth. We'll put it in front of a barbershop. His nickname should be Beaver. That's fantastic. I'm not even going to touch that one. Beaver! Okay, so some of the things you can throw in the recycling bin that most people don't know is you can throw a phone book in there, but you need to be sure to remove the magnetic inserts or any of the non-paper elements before you toss it. It's a beating, isn't it? It's not! You're saving the environment. It's a beating. I know, it totally is. Aluminum foil is just as recyclable as aluminum cans.
But you need to check with your local waste department, which Mikey's going to do after the show today. What's he doing? Nothing. I don't know. He's getting ready to throw something away. Yeah, I'm trying to gather my recyclables. I thought you were getting your foil together. I'm getting my recyclables together. But you know what? I read along with the foil. It gave me this other little tidbit, and I didn't know, and I want to try it, but I'm a little scared. What? It says try crumpling up old foil and throwing it in with the clothes in your dryer and it reduces static. No way. Try crumpling up foil and putting it in your mouth and do that with it. Do you do that? No. It's like the worst thing ever. Really? Okay. So is everything else you put in your mouth. Fair enough. Aerosol cans. Just make sure they're empty. You can throw that in there. I did not know that. What is that? Oh, nice. Recycling paper. Now, where did that come from? Is that like an actual? It's like up in the building. It's in the building? Our promotions director, Owen, just came in and gave me a little cheat sheet that I'll now carry around with me in my wallet. I love this, Owen. It says City of San Diego curbside recycling, and it lists all the things you can recycle. Ceramics, plastic cups you can recycle, and plastic utensils. Solo cups and everything. Batteries.
Phone books are on there. Question. What? Just moved into a new place. Yeah. There is no recycling bin. I need to go get my... Buy one. Buy one, and then they don't have a pickup, though. Oh, they don't. Do I need to go to... Yes, they do. I promise you they don't. There's no recycling bin. Your neighbor does. Call them. Oh, God. I'm telling you right now, you got to because... I used to bring my stuff to work because my place didn't have a recycling, so I would... Put it all in the bag. Oh, okay. I totally messed up. I need to fix this. The sheet he gave me, half says, yes, you can recycle. Half says, no, you can't recycle. You cannot recycle batteries. People are probably enraged that I said that. You cannot recycle plastic cups and plastic utensils. Really? Yeah. You cannot recycle. Do you? You can't recycle. I thought you could recycle certain ones like the Solo cups. It says you cannot. Plastic cups. Nobody knows. You cannot recycle round plastic tubs like a yogurt thing. You cannot recycle grocery bags. You can't recycle milk cartons. Cartons? No. See, here's the deal, guys. Ready? What? Nobody has any flipping clue as to what they can recycle other than paper. Okay, here's a question. With no staples or magnetic strips. I'm going to quiz you guys right now on do you recycle or don't you? This is what's going to happen. Go ahead. Styrofoam. No. No.
You read the sheet once. I can't see it. You cannot. Well, I said the other day on air that you were trying to recycle styrofoam. I was like, no! It's such a hassle. It's a beating, dude. Every day, all this paper, I throw right in that garbage pail. That's horrible. Okay, I'll do it differently. Okay, plastic bottles. No. Yes. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. Mikey, stop agreeing with that. Absolutely. I don't want to be wrong. This is different. This is different by every county and state and everything, too. Phone books. Yes. You just told us. I was making sure you were listening. Of course. As long as you remove the magnetic strips. What about a t-shirt? Absolutely. I don't think so. I don't think you can do that. You might get caught in a whale's mouth. You cannot recycle a t-shirt woods. Goodwill. What do I do with it? No clothing or textiles or shoes to be recycled. Yeah, it could end up around a mastodon's neck. And he wouldn't want that. What about paper bags? Yes. Yes. Right. What about glassware? Mikey, stop agreeing with everyone. What? I'm just trying to... No one answer. Mikey's answering first. I'm going to be... If I was a teacher, I'd be mean. I know. 100%. We know that.
Thanks. Okay. Glasses. Like, say you have a glass in your house and it chipped and you want to get rid of it. What do you do? Can't do it. You cannot recycle it. Lauren, are you looking at him? You cannot at all do that. Okay, you're right. Mikey. Yep. You can't? No. What about beer bottles? Are those not made of glass? You can't, but not like glass. Not a glass you were drinking out of. You'd be crazy, right, Lauren? Hold on. I'm calling BS. Okay. Kid drinks a lot of Budweiser at his house. I shouldn't be putting those in the recycle bin? No, you are. No, what you should do is you should take the paper off of the table and recycle that first. Right. Then recycle the glass. Then I have to melt down the glass into a liquid form. And take the glue off and put that in the trash. I'm done. Recycle the glue. All right, so you just had some chunky soup. Mm-hmm. And you have the metal can. Why'd you look at Mikey? Mikey eats regular soup. I didn't look at Mikey. Yes, you did. I looked at you, and then I looked at Mikey. She looked at the two chunky guys. You guys are the only ones that would put the soup on the show. Yeah, look at the two chunky guys. We just call it soup. What do you do with the metal can? I'm giving an example, a visual. I think you do recycle that. Yes. Yes. You have no excuse, Mike. I know it, right, Lauren? I just need to be in this house at all times shaking yes, no.
The recycling... You guys, don't make me leave again. But this is a learning experience. I know. I'm trying to help. I'm actually learning. Okay, okay. What if you have... One more. What if you're in an office and you need to shred some paperwork? What do you do with the shreds? Of course you recycle. Good job, Mike. Yeah, of course. That one, that's paper. I'm proud of you. M1 Bilbo Baggins. Hello? H1 Bilbo Baggins. Hey, shout out to everyone. Hello? That's a half? Is that a half one? No, H1 is Hobbit 1. You don't know? Hobbit 1? Wow, I did not know that. Well, now you know. Now I know. What up? Mikey? Yeah. We're looking for Neil Diamond. Here at the Shire, he's been one of our positive role models, and we'd like to hear some more Neil Diamond. First of all, what the heck is a Shire? I don't even know what that is. Well, it's where we live. The Hobbits live. It's where the Hobbits live? Any girls there? No. Hobbit, what is that? There's girls at the shire. What is a hobbit? Is that when they bust your legs with some kind of a rake? You're hobbiting around you. Like the girl in Misery, she hobbited that guy. How could you say that? We love you. We're hobbits together. You're like that freak tattoo. All of you guys with your big feet trying to throw stuff into volcanoes. You make me sick. This one's going out to you, short stuff.
You are a freak. I can't begin to stand you. I wish you'd all just go away. Harsh, Neil. It's a true story. Listen. All of you geeks. Nice, Neil. With all your Lord of the Rings stuff, I wish you'd all go back to me. Are you people paying attention to me? Pay attention to me right now. Stop. Hang on a minute. Stop the music. Hang on. I feel like a phony sitting here trying to play with an orchestra and everything when I've told you that I'm a flutist. That's right. I believe it's a flautist. No, that's the things that you get over it. You're thinking of a flauta, aren't you? The taco stand, they have flautists. Those are delicious. It's a deep fried one. Those are delicious. It's the kind that you get over at Fidel's. They're delicious. Mama Testo's. Shut up with your testicles all the time. I mean, is it seven years old around here?
For crying out loud. Watch your mouth. Sorry, dude. I'm going to play a song and you're going to tell me what the song is. Do you understand me? Yep. Everyone be quiet. Shut up. I'm ready to hear it. Make it right, dude. Shut up. I haven't played the flute. I'm not going to play. Play the flute. Play the flute. Okay. Kneel, concentrate. Why don't you concentrate? I am. I know. I'm trying to play the flute. You're a beautiful flautist. I'm going to play the song. You tell me what it is. Ready? Woods. Use somebody by Kings of Leon. No, it isn't. You moron. No, it isn't. You guys really don't know what that was? Yeah, it's use somebody, isn't it? Lauren. No. Beck, loser. Yeah. Lose the loser now. Closing time. That is not it. Closing time. Oh, closing time. By Semisonic? Yep.
It was not Closing Time by Semisonic. Play it again. That way they know. Thank you. Gosh. Listen, you guys. It's good. Sienna, you have a guess. Can I answer it? Yes. It was easy. Fergie, London Bridge. You're brilliant. That was what it was. Yes. I can't even believe in people. Didn't you hear the part that said, oh, snap? Yes. He even included that. They even had the oh, snap part. You're like a bunch of children. If you did, I would have gotten a good ring. I never did you listen to this, Neil. See you here now. Sienna's going to be your best. You didn't hear the part where I said he'd love you long, Simon? You're starting to irritate me. You can't even get the songs right when I'm coming in here to play them. Didn't you guys have a fling, you and Fergie? Oh, really? You're going to start talking about flings now? Yeah. You're going to reveal my flings? It wasn't Fergie. Who was it? It was Ed Asner. It was one time. We were both in college.
Back in the 30s? Great kisser. Yes, 1935, Ed Esner and I were experimenting. Very nice. This song's called In One Ear. You know why they call it that? Why? Because it went in one and out the freaking other. Listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. If you're in the market for a new car, here are some important things to consider. A dimension of secure, fast and easy ways to make deposits through ATMs, of no longer having to fill out deposit slips or use envelopes. You've just crossed over into the Chase Zone. Did you just put that check directly into the ATM? Yep. No deposit slips, no envelopes? No need. Whoa, you just stuck a bunch of 20s in there. What is wrong with you? Me? I'm not the one feeding the ATM like a hungry Sasquatch. Sasquatch? Really? I don't know. It's Chase Deposit-Friendly ATMs. Deposit checks and bills. Then it shows you a picture of the checks on the screen and on your receipt. Ah, ATM machines that practically read your mind. My bank doesn't have that. Chase does. Hi, this is Jack, founder of Jack in the Box. Let's go to Ron on line one. Ron? Yeah, what happened?
You called my radio show. This is Jack Box. Right. Sorry, Jack. I'm a little out of it. See, okay, you've caused an internal meat conflict inside of me. Ron, I'm pretty sure neither one of us knows what you're talking about. Okay, right. The thing is, I can't decide which of your new grilled sandwiches I like better, the turkey, bacon, cheddar, or the deli trio. Okay. I mean, I love the whole new grilled sandwich thing with the toasted bread, but so one has roasted turkey and bacon, but the other, roasted turkey, sliced ham, and salami. Well, they're both delicious. I know, man. I'm torn. There's like a civil war going on inside the country of Ron right now, and I'm not sure which side I should join. Ron. Yeah. You've got some bigger issues, buddy. But right now I need to turn it over to Miles Taylor, a real-life crew member from Enumclaw, Washington. Try Jack's new grilled sandwiches, the turkey bacon cheddar, or the deli trio. Made with premium deli meats and cheeses and served on toasted artisan bread at participating restaurants. Now, more of The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. I played it like three times today, so it's just to hear it. Let's see. This text message at 949mikey at gmail.com says, I love during the break how Mikey goes and eats his burrito during work. Well, we need to eat. He is a Latino. That's why I eat it. We have a camera in here. If you go to MikeyShow.com, you can see us on a camera. And it says, and L.O.B. grabs for her mix of healthy snacks. Get. That's M1 child, please. Did he say get? Yeah. Nice. Yeah. They're gone because they were so delicious. Yeah. It's just like beef jerky, huh? It's like a tiny little Tupperware thing the size of an applesauce container. Yeah, really no difference between that and the taste of a Big Mac. No. It's the same exact thing.
Hey, guys. Fun talking with you this morning. Thanks for letting me relive that awful time in my life. I can't stop cringing. Anyway, keep up the good work and glad you're back on the air. That is M1 Simone. By the way, we're now friends on Facebook. Already? I told her that we could be friends and we are. Huge. That's awesome. I know a friend when I hear one. That's right. I loved her. Scariest times for your heart? Speedballs. No, like, you know, the times that you're... Sex is number one. No. Sex is not number one? No. Treadmill. No. Gym. For me, walking up the stairs. They say when it's during unusually vigorous exercise. Showering too vigorously for me. Running to the microwave. Well, Tiger Woods just did one of them, and he could have had a heart attack. Sex camp. No, cheating in sex camp. No, at a podium, you know, the nervousness raises your blood pressure, your heart rate, and adrenaline levels, which can cause secondary worry and make you have a heart attack. I would have vomited. As opposed to, you know, first degree worry. Yeah. What does that mean? I don't know. It makes the presentation itself a secondary worry. Weird. Maybe just...
makes the heart attack i don't i don't get it like the first thing you should be worried about is your heart rate and having a heart attack yeah and then well first thing the morning the risk of a heart attack increases 40 percent in the morning every morning great because of the adrenaline and your stress hormones just waking up you mean yeah first thing in the morning yeah i don't understand it increases blood pressure and a demand for your oxygen perfect huh Did anybody get that? You couple that with my smoking and my sleep apnea, I'm probably in pretty good shape. Oh, my God. They also said that your blood is also thicker in the morning and harder to pump because you're partially dehydrated. It's so gross to think that our bodies are all weird like that. I know. Like we wake up, we're all dehydrated with thick blood. Gross. Go to the Body Worlds exhibit when it comes back into town. I would never. Oh, it's amazing. I wouldn't either. It's amazing. I didn't think I would either. It's amazing because you're healthy. Fatso's like us. We're like, oh, good, great. I'm going to die. Like tomorrow. They should have a separate room for an exhibit like us. And we're like, ah! They have like black lung in there. They have obesity in there. Yeah.
Exactly. On Monday mornings especially is like when the majority of heart attacks happen because you're stressed about going back to work and depressed. Not us. Not us. I'm fired up Monday morning. Okay, well, we're very lucky. But think about, you know, people that have jobs that they don't like. Yeah. I don't understand. I wish I understood the waking up thing, though, because that creeped me out. Well, it jolts you out of your sleep if you have an alarm clock. Every morning I'm jolted out of my sleep. I never wake up to the alarm. You're lucky. I always wake up 10 minutes before the alarm. I have like a thing like with the microwave. I don't want the microwave to beep. You can't reach it in the morning? Yes, exactly, Sienna. You have to jump to push the button? Yes, I have a little trampoline that I have. Apple crate. Turn off your alarm clock. A little apple crate when Woods does that. When he does the jumping up. The whole studio is shaking. Yeah, what do you think the people on the sixth floor think of him doing that? Shit. Well, they say, since you're so concerned about the morning thing, they said that you should wake up slowly, meaning, like, push the snooze button a couple times. I do it 16 times. This morning, I did a...
record snooze button pushing for me. I get it. I get it like 16 times. I can't snooze anymore. And the last one is... Wait, wait, wait. Hillary just walked in. Hillary, do you have to wake up to an alarm or do your kid wake you up? I haven't set an alarm since she was born. Really? Because you've got to get up with a kid, right? I can't... I cannot wake up to an alarm. I don't like the... Oh, forget that one. I would never do that anyway. I have it set to either... I have it set to- Smooth jazz? Smooth jazz. Smooth jazz, 98 point. My fiance, Todd, wakes up to our intro song every morning. He says it goes off at 6.04. Nice. That's money. Yeah. I love you, UJ. I know. And I will, sometimes I'll get up and I will forget to turn the alarm off, you know, because I wake up before it. And so I go, take my shower, the whole deal. And I get out of the shower. And it's blaring. Question. It's blaring. My wife can sleep through the USC marching band. Like, you could bring in the charger cannon that they fire when they score a touchdown. Wouldn't wake her back up. So you don't wake up to an alarm? Nope. Why set the alarm? Just in case. Just in case. You have to. Just in case. Because the one time that I, you know.
Don't wake up to the alarm. It'd be 10, we'd be sitting here going, Mikey's not. I will say this, though. In the past year, there's been probably three times that I haven't set the alarm, and I wake up for it. We would do like four hours a day, Matthews. Yeah, pretty much. Waiting for you. But I'm telling you, man, I can't wake up to it, and I have my little routine. Do you guys do the same exact thing every day? Yep. Sienna? You do something different? I mean, yeah. I mean, I get ready so fast. I just run around like a freak and I'm out the door in five minutes. Dude. I shower at night. I spilled a little bit of coffee this morning and I was like, oh, no. That didn't happen yesterday. No. That's a guy thing. Really? That's like a total, like, we're getting wedding gifts coming in the mail. And Todd, it ruins his whole routine of when he comes home from work because there's a package sitting at the door. That's what he said. He's like, oh. No, what? And he freaks out. I'm like, dude, put it in the house and chill out. Yeah. I try to talk myself down. I can't talk myself down. It's the worst. It's the worst. What else? And the last thing on the list is after an indulgent meal, you could have higher risk for a heart attack. You know, because it's like high fat, high carb meals. Eight to ten times a week. Constrict blood vessels. Yeah, all the time. It makes your blood more prone to clotting.
Lauren, why don't you tell everybody what you did last night? Oh, about my little morning routine? Mm-hmm. Well, I watched a documentary last night on dreams. Weird. Yeah, weird. And I fell asleep, like, before I reached the end of it. And I actually, for the first time, was getting to bed at a reasonable hour, about, like, 8-ish. Wow. Yeah, so I went to bed. Woke up this morning, jolted from my sleep, and I wear contact lenses. So I was just kind of like fumbling around. Same thing. I go through the routine. I put the coffee in, take my shower, get dressed, put my contacts in, brush my teeth, all that bit. Then I'm like, okay, do I have time to dry my hair? Because I felt like I was in the shower for a long time. And while I was in the shower, I was actually asking myself these questions. I'm like, wow, I just saw that thing on dreams last night. I didn't have any dreams. That's weird. I wonder if I got into my REM cycle and all this stuff. Then I go to check what time it is to see if I have time to dry my hair. It's 10.05 at night. No way. 10.05 p.m. Are you kidding me? Yeah, I have this outfit on. My contacts are in. I've got a towel on my head. And I start cracking up. And so I wake up Matt, my boyfriend. I'm like, listen to what I just did. He's like, that's crazy. I was still awake at that time last night. That is awesome. I would have just like.
Yeah, and so I made my coffee everything. Last bit of coffee that I had, so I wasted the last batch. Really? What if you had, like, driven to the station? I know. Well, by the time I got in the car, I would have known, but I don't have any. I'm in a very, like, digital world, and I guess I'm really reliant on my, like, computer and my phone because there's no clocks around my house. I don't have cables, and I have a cable box, and I just, yeah. That is crazy. That is crazy. I'm going to go home tonight. Went through the full routine. I'm going to go home tonight and watch a documentary on wheat. I'm really excited about it. Are you kidding? Are you kidding, Lauren? Can you bring it in? Can you bring it in? Me too. I'm the same thing. I love documentaries. Me too. 570-1949. Give us a call beginning and end of every show. We do open phones. You can call about anything you want. M1 Winder, what up, dude? Not much, man. I hurt my back last night trying to reach the popcorn button on the microwave. Been there, bro. Been there. Hey, Lauren, that Triton comment was genius. Sienna. Good luck on Saturday. Have a great day. Oh, thanks, man. Keep doing what you're doing. Thanks, brother. I'm out. Thank you, brother. That was M1 Winder. I won CD tonight. He won yesterday. That's right. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Hillary, what do you got today? What are you going to be doing? Sorry about that. Sorry. No, please.
Well, I pulled out the XX record because it was so good. So good. So good. And Garrett played it Monday night for his 8 o'clock album, and I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop listening to it. It's so good, for real. It's so good. Just different. Like every once in a while, a band comes along that's doing something really different. Hillary, do you know what they said that album is perfect for? Making sweet, sweet like. Love making. I read that online. I really, I've never in my life, I've never in my life heard making sweet, sweet like. We will be back tomorrow morning at six. The Mikey Show's out. Financial media's day. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. About the music.
