Monday March 1, 2010
The week started off on a very sad note because of the Chelsea King story and news of a suspect in custody. The crew talked about the Chile earthquake as well. Woods; on sports featured Neil Young rocking the ol’ blues harp at the Olympics and Gatorade dropping Tiger Woods like a sack of sand. Kevin Acee came on the phone to discuss the future of Charger running back Darrin Sproles. Fat Shaq is out for the rest of the NBA season…AGAIN!! Sienna reported on Sea World resuming the Killer Whale shows and Mikey played audio of SNL making fun of the new We Are the World song. Next is a recap of Si’s fabulous wedding that had even The Kid tearing up during the ceremony. Even though we all do it, it’s still funny when a dude cries! Voice of Fat Albert and pudding pop pusher Bill Cosby goes off on a publicist in a bizarre audio clip. Next up is a funny conversation between Tom Tom Girl and Movie Phone Guy with Mikey as mediator. MPG is so smitten with TTG he had his vasectomy reversed! Sienna’s repot of eight ways to wake up leads to Mikey’s revelation that he goes to bed at 6pm every afternoon. A picture of Woods eating a bowl of cereal while sitting on the toilet freaks Lauren out and leads to talk about folks who eat in bathrooms. M1 Woodchip debut’s his Mikey as Re-run video. It’s on Mikeyshow.com if you haven’t seen it, it’s awesome! Lauren accuses Tattoo of being antagonistic towards her and says he has a bad case of Napoleon’s Complex. More “Bannings” is next with “that’s….” being agreed upon yet everyone continues to do it. Mikey tells about how he was nearly robbed as Pizza delivery boy until the robbers recognized him. Woods wins the Movie Game by playing it cool, and the show ends with the cast debating proper tipping etiquette. Note to all waitpersons in San Diego: if you see Woods walk in your restaurant expect a huge tip!

KBZT San Diego, Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. Hello, everybody. It's The Mikey Show Monday, and phone lines open for you. If you want to give us a call, you can do that right now. The number is 570-1949, and text message open for you as well. Text message number is, or the text message is 949mikey at gmail.com. And we have so much stuff to get to. I mean, it is a full pack news day. We have so much stuff to talk about. Really quickly, let me introduce everybody on the show. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 39 years old. Got three sick kids at home right now. Three of them are sick. And I have three kids.
That means percentage-wise, I think we're about 100%. So good for us. It's really wonderful. Woodsy is our sports guy, and Woodsy is 34 years of age. He's the guy sitting right across from me who's got the Yankees cap on because he is a Yankees fan. I am. Whether or not you are a Yankees fan, I don't know. Baseball fan first, buddy. That's right. And then the Yankees. That's right. Lauren O'Brien is our... assistant producer and she is 29 years of age. And although she appears to have a bit of a wall, at times she can be a little bit sensitive. More on that in a moment. Sienna is our married, married news girl. Wow. That's right. You're married. She's a wife. It's crazy. You're married. I keep looking at my hand and now there's two rings. Does it feel any different?
No, not at all. No, I just have two rings. Probably the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen. Thank you. No question. My mom has a gift. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's what she does. So that was like that. It was like your wedding was like one of those deals that like little girls dream of wanting that. I mean. Jay came in this morning and he said, how was it? Because he was out of town. And I said, well, you know what? I honestly can tell you, I wouldn't want to change one thing. Yeah. It was amazing. It was. Amazing. Did you see the rainbows, Sienna? Oh, yeah. It was raining, you know, and I actually was feeling the rain. It was okay. Like, I like rain and they say it's good luck if it rains. And then, like, minutes before the ceremony started, there was a huge rainbow. Yeah. And a big full moon, amazing moon. I mean, it was a cool night. You probably have a million pictures of it, but I took one, too, for you, and it was beautiful. I haven't seen a single picture except for the one that you sent of all of us. Really? Yeah. I got a picture of you dancing with your dad. I took all these pictures on my phone, but I got a picture of you dancing with your dad. I got a picture of the rainbow. And I was like, wow, this is, like, memorable. Yeah. Did you get me dancing with her dad?
I did not get that. You missed that one. I missed that one, but I'll try to get that one on later. We had a really nice slow dance. You did? I was wondering, what's going on over there, Woodsy? That is so sweet. Leave my dad alone. Seriously. And then we have Jay, who is our executive producer, separated by glass, but not by heart. Had to be separated. That's right. And we have you, the M1 Nation. The M1 Nation, Mikey Show listeners are referred to as M1s. And if you want to call into the show, turn your radio down, get to the point, don't cuss. If that's you, you're an M1. And M1s also turn new people onto the Mikey Show. This is a grassroots thing growing this thing. And so we want you to create new M1s. That's what we do. And you're part of the M1 Nation. The number again, 570-1949. The big, big story out there today is that... There is an update on the Chelsea King story. Chelsea, 17 years old. And if you don't know the story, Sienna, update us on what happened and where we are.
This is just nuts. Chelsea King is 17, like Mikey said. She's from Poway here in San Diego, and this has turned into a nationwide search. Can you tell my voice is a little bit raspy? A little bit. I'm suffering from the wedding celebration. It sounds kind of cool. Well, yes, Chelsea has been missing since Thursday. Her parents last saw her on Wednesday when she left Wednesday night to go to a school concert. Then she woke up early to go to school. She had a peer counseling meeting at Poway High School at 6.15 a.m. Right after school, she went home. home she went for a run by herself and she never came back by the way most i mean other than her being missing all of those details that you gave i didn't know this is the first time i'm hearing this stuff uh and so wow that's how it all went down okay so where are we now So right now we have a suspect who has been arrested, and all we know is he's a registered sex offender on Megan's Law's website. Really? And this guy, yeah, his name is John Gardner. He's been arrested, and right now he's the primary suspect. He was at a restaurant in Escondido around 4.30 yesterday when they got him. Wow.
And yesterday, her parents spoke. We're going to try to find some more audio of that later on. Yeah. But they spoke, and it was just so, so sad. Oh, my goodness. You know, just saying, you know, she's an angel. It's so unlike her, all of this. Like, she is a very safe, cautious girl. She never runs off course. Of course, we don't like that she, you know, runs alone, but she's a 17-year-old girl. Yeah. I mean, who doesn't do that? Mm-hmm. So it's just, it's really scary. Yeah, it makes you kind of go as a parent and just in general. You know, are we living in a day and age now where if you have a daughter or even if you even if you're an adult woman, do you run by yourself and you just take precautions? Are we living in a day and age where you just can't do that? What do you think of that, Woodsy? I think my wife is a big runner and she's you know, she's done triathlons, marathons. So you have to run a lot to train. So it drives me nuts when she runs in the neighborhood. Go to the gym. Hit the treadmill. Run around a track. Find a track somewhere. Can't you put a program into the treadmill where it'll take you on all kinds of elevations and things like that to try to recreate it? And Lauren, you're a runner, so maybe not. I mean, it's not the same thing. I grew up running cross country. I run half marathons and everything. And my parents used to say the same thing when I would leave. And I remember one time my dad actually went out.
driving looking for me because i was feeling good so i just kept going for like an hour and a half and they were like don't you ever do that again and same thing i kept you know when i was in high school i kept doing it because i thought they're crazy i can take care of myself you're like a bucko five yeah so Good luck taking care of yourself. Did you take anything with you, like mace or anything like that? No, I do now sometimes. I've gone on a lot of trips by myself, and I'll go hiking and stuff, and I have pepper spray. But still, I don't even know how to use it. I don't even know if it works. Really? Yeah, I mean, I think it's kind of one of those deals where maybe even if you run and around your neck you have a whistle that someone can see, that may be enough to scare people off. This is where we are. Like Sienna said, we're going to have more information in terms of the press conference, hearing from her parents. And we don't know much about John Albert Gardner. We don't know much about him, right? No. Other than he's a sex offender. He's a sex offender. And this guy's 30 years old and he was arrested yesterday. Front page of the San Diego Union Tribune today is that story and photographs of Sheriff Bel Gore.
um announcing to authorities that they had arrested him and uh oh man you know here's what is really uh incredible to think about in order for somebody to be arrested there has to be evidence yep evidence physical evidence it said too physical evidence this guy oh man i mean it's just it was one of those things all weekend long i was Just praying that a miracle would happen and that she would be found safe. And the thing is, is that we don't we still don't really know what's going on. No, they're still looking for no signs. I mean, no one knows what's going on. So hopefully this John Gardner can help. I mean, if anything. Yeah. The other other giant news that's out there today is. Well, first of all, if you didn't hear. There was a giant earthquake in Chile. Yeah. And I mean, it's the biggest earthquake that I've ever... I can't remember ever hearing of an earthquake over 8.8 on the Richter scale. I mean, that is ginormous. And there was 90 aftershocks. 90 aftershocks. Like, when are there ever that many? Oh, my gosh.
Yeah, that's a humongous earthquake. Yeah. And so we're going to have some more on the Chilean earthquake a little bit later. Because of the Chilean earthquake, there were tsunami warnings that were issued for Hawaii. And so we got all kinds of stuff on that, too. Olympics last night. Closing ceremonies of the Olympics last night, right? Yep. And did you guys know that Neil Young was a part of the... Closing ceremonies last night for the Olympics. Woodsy, a little bit later on, we're going to be talking to you about the big hockey game. Can't wait. Did anybody else besides Woodsy and I see the Americans play Canada for the gold medal yesterday? Of course not. No way. Neither of you? Jay Bird? Did you see it? Jay, did you see any of that yesterday? Is his mic working? No, I'm back. I'm back. There you go. Did you see any of that? I did. I saw, like, right when they went into overtime. I was just screaming at my TV. It was just so good. We'll tell you what happened. It came down to overtime with those guys. Neil Young performing at the closing ceremonies. One of his many memorable compositions, this is Long May You Rock. Toronto-born, Winnipeg-raised, Neil Young rocking in the free world. Shut up, Costas. Please.
Please. The guy's a legend, man. Zip your lip. Please. Still rocking in the free world. After some 40 years. I have to say, I think he sounds pretty good. He is amazing. I think he sounds pretty good. Sienna is like, what's Neil Young? I'm like, what is happening right now? So good. Guy's a legend. I'm not really, I don't speak Neil Young. That's weird. Sienna, you don't either. You guys are like, this is amazing. It's incredible. Guaranteed, if that was on CD, you would never listen to it in your car. I have tons of Neil Young. I love Neil Young. Oh, I love Neil Young. Oh, dude. Neil Young. I have a Neil Young Pandora station. You do? Do you really? Yeah, of course. I've got a lot of Neil. I've got a lot of Neil. For those of you that don't speak Pandora.
Pandora is a free application that you can get on your cell phone that just plays your... It's like a radio station for you. On your computer as well, you can get it. On your computer? Yeah, I mean, I'm not a big fan, but if that's what's on the closing ceremonies and dudes from Canada, whatever. What is the... Is it the voice? Well, I mean, Woods, we talked about this. Is there really no Canadian that's sort of... Is this back to the Super Bowl argument? Yes. Oh, it is. Okay. It is. You know, the who? Really? Well, Neil Young, he's a Canadian treasure. I didn't know he was Canadian. Yeah, for sure. He's a Canadian treasure. Okay, great. Isn't there another Canadian that maybe has some songs out right now? Avril Lavigne? Avril? In fact, I think I may have even seen that Avril was being, like, kind of promoted for the closing ceremonies of the Olympics. That makes sense. I mean, she's got music out right now. I get it and everything. They're trying to appeal to every age group, and I get it. I understand, but it's just like... You're bordering on sacrilege here. I just want to warn you. You're on very, very thin ice. The only reason I'm okay with Neil Young is because it's the Olympics. It's the closing ceremonies. He's from Canada. I understand. I get it. It makes sense.
It's not the halftime show of the Super Bowl where I think it should be about relevant musicians. It makes more sense for him to close it than it would to open it. Thank you. You know what I mean? So they can have like the little poppy whatever to open. To close, you want like a legend. All right. He's a legend. I got to figure that Neil Young is in his 70s. Would you agree or disagree? 60s, I believe. He's in his 60s. Well, the cool thing about Neil Young. is that when he was making music in his 20s, he sounded like he was in his 60s. So when he sings it now, it still sounds exactly the same. It's timeless, is what you're saying. That's the beauty. That's the beauty of it. He's great. Thank you, Neil. Do you want to hear a little trinket of information? Sure. Woods, you might be interested in this, or you might already know this. You know that song Horse With No Name by the band America? People often think that that's Neil Young. First time Neil Young's mother heard that on the radio.
She said, I can't believe he wrote the song, released the song, and didn't tell me. Wow. No kidding. She even thought it was Neil Young. It does sound like Neil Young. That would kill me. If my mom called me and said, I love your new song, and I had to go, that's not me. Singing that song. I assume that's the way it sounds. I assume. 570-194-9 is the number. 949mikey at gmail.com. Tiger Woods. There is new Tiger Woods news. He's been dropped by one of the biggest sponsors on planet Earth. Tell you about it. And why do Padres fans want Jake Peavy to zip it? Zip it. It always starts out fun and then it gets weird. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. 5701949 is the number. M1 Ryan, what's going on, man?
Hey, good morning, guys. I just want to say last week when you guys had that owner from Mama Testa come on the show. Yeah. We went there this weekend, me and my wife, and that place is excellent. Yeah. I've never been to a Mexican restaurant without, like, all the grease. Actually felt, you know, not sick leaving afterwards, you know. Dude, that place is so good. Mama Testa's? Oh, so good, dude. It is so good. I have one question for Sienna. Yeah. I got to ask, did she sing at our wedding? Good question. Because I remember from last year on the other show where you guys made her sing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sienna, he wanted to know if you sang at your wedding. No way. No, she did not, and she should have. Your friend did, though, like an angel. Like an angel? She is an angel. Who is your friend that sang? My friend is Emily. She's been my best friend since kindergarten.
She's singing at last. She's singing at last, yeah. She lives in New York. She's doing the Broadway thing. Yeah, it was really good. She is awesome. Did she cry too? Everyone cried, yeah. Oh, yeah. It was good. Thank you, Ryan. We'll get to the crying stories. Oh, yeah. You've got a few. Oh, yeah. There's crying stories. I don't even know about them. Crying stories to come. I almost cried, but I didn't. Did you not? No, it was hard. You did not cry. No, Todd. I think he almost did. Really? He got pretty close. Yeah. We were looking at each other just like, oh, don't lose it. We're going to lose it. Yeah. We got stories to tell you about this wedding coming up in the next 45 minutes right now. Every time I hear this. I know. Hey, Woodsy. Yes, sir. Who dropped Tiger Woods? Gatorade. Holy cow, dude. Gatorade. Basically. They said we no longer see a role for Tiger in our marketing efforts, and we've ended our relationship. Oh, my. Just like that. Dude. He's not golfing now. Yeah. I mean, that is a big one. I mean, that is probably, I mean, would you say, do you think that's probably one of his biggest? Absolutely. Yeah? Absolutely. I don't know what he's got left. Dude. I really don't. Maybe like some lawn and gardening place in Florida. Like, I really don't know who else is using him for endorsements these days.
Man, we had a big sports weekend. Obviously, the Olympics closed down. Final medal count. I guess, did we win? I guess we won the Olympics. Did we win? Are we the Olympic winners? I don't know if that's how you say it. See, you can say that, that there is a winner. If you've got the most medals, you won the Olympics. I guess we won. We had 39. This is a big deal. This is a really big deal. I think so. We finished the U.S., when I say we, the U.S. finished with 37 total medals. Sweet. Little caveat to that, though. I have some Canadian friends. They were all excited because they had 14 golds out of 26 total medals to our nine. Oh, wow. So they were like, you guys won the second and third place. Great, great job. Great job. Nanny boo-boo. Yeah, exactly. So it was fun. I actually enjoyed it. There was a lot of good stories that came out of it. We'll talk about some of those later as well. But the most interesting one to me was the gold medal game yesterday, the hockey game, U.S. against Canada. Absolutely phenomenal. So I know, Mike, you watched it. I watched it. Canada took the lead. They were up 2-1 with time running out. There was 25 seconds left to cut one. Patrick Kane able to filter it across. Ryan Suter has it there. Threw one that rattled around behind. Pavelski there. Slipped one in front. Kane a shot off. They score! Zach Parisi out of a netball scramble! And the game is tied!
I had my family over at the house when this was going on because, you know, most of us as Americans, we don't really know much about hockey. But when the USA is playing for a gold medal against the Canadians and there's 30 seconds left in the game and the Canadians know they've won it. And in the last 30 seconds, the Americans score a goal. That's pretty exciting. Tie it up. Kick it over into overtime. That's pretty exciting. My heart was. Beating out of my chest. Me too. And I could care less about hockey. Me too. I was an American. Yeah. Yesterday, I was an American. It was cool. It was cool, man. So they go to sudden death. Basically sudden death. First to score wins. It was so tense. Sidney Crosby of Team Canada. In the final. In the final. Back ahead now comes Sidney Crosby. Crosby tries to dance through. Miller guides it away to the corner. Crosby up with it there. Punched along to Jerome McGinley. Crosby scores! My heart just sank, dude. But you know what, Mike? Our boys were not even supposed to medal. They weren't even supposed to medal with Finland, with Russia, with Canada. We weren't even supposed to come home with the medal. Really? And we came home with silver. There's nothing wrong with silver. Did you watch the presenting of the medals? No. I was too upset. You were? Yeah. They're putting the silver medals on the Americans, and you can tell that a lot of these guys are younger than some of the other guys.
they were not looking happy as the silver went around their neck. And I understand. I do too. Some of the guys were like, hey, it's a medal. That's cool. To get that close and lose in stinking overtime. Mike, we got a caller on the line, Kevin Acey from the San Diego Chargers. Tell us about Darren Sproles and the situation with those guys. From the Union Tribune, this is staff writer Kevin Acey. Kevin, are you there? I'm good. I'm good. How you doing, man? Listen, here's the thing, man. We want to ask you because... There's a story out today that involves Darren Sproles. Now, a lot of people, ever since the LT thing went down and LT no longer a Charger, people going, okay, well, it looks like Darren Sproles is going to be the guy. What's the latest with Darren Sproles? Well, you know, he was never going to be the guy, but you're right. It was like, oh, at least, you know, at least we got Darren Sproles. Darren Sproles was going to be a restricted free agent, which meant the Chargers had control over him. He could talk to other teams, but if another team signed him, then the Chargers had the right to match that. Plus, if they didn't match it, the other team had to give the Chargers draft picks. Pretty high draft picks. Anyway, because Darren was due so much money, because the Chargers made him the franchise player last year, blah, blah, long story, too much for FM radio. He made $6.6 million this year. He was due 110% of that.
7.3 million. Chargers said no. Darren Spoles, an unrestricted free agent. So essentially, he could easily, and I think he will, but the Chargers think they could still sign him. What he's going to do is Darren's going to go out and take all these visits. One of the places he's going to go, the Washington Redskins, they want him back. They got a lot of money too, by the way. Going to go visit all these other teams. Hopefully then, for Chargers fans, for the Chargers, For me, I like Darren. He's going to come back and say, hey, this is what another team or his agent is. Darren will probably be in Bermuda. His agent will take care of this and say, hey, this is what we're getting from another team. Can you guys match it? And then when the Chargers will say, hey, D, don't you want to stay in San Diego? Phillip Rivers got all this. We can make it. Maybe they can get the San Diego discount, like the Union Tribune gets me with the San Diego discount. Exactly. And maybe, maybe Darren will stay. I will tell you this. A little known fact, I reported it last year, though, that Darren's agent last year wanted Darren to sit out mini camp, wanted Darren to sit out training camp, because there really wasn't, not a protest or anything, you know, but there really was the franchise tender sign and all that guaranteed money. There was no reason to risk injury. And, you know, the Chargers kind of accepted that. But then, you know, Norv Turner and A.J. Smith talked to Darren and Darren.
decided against the wishes of his agent to come in and participate in those. I tell you that story to tell you the kind of guy Darren is. And so maybe, just maybe, the Chargers could still keep him. Kevin AC, staff writer for the San Diego Union-Tribune. Last question. Percentage of chance, in your opinion, that he is a San Diego Charger come opening day? 10%. And that's all based on Darren possibly wanting to stay here. Thank you. Thank you. All right, Kevin AC. Hey, we appreciate it, Kevin. Thanks for calling. Thank you, man. Thank you, man. Right on. Take care. We'll see you. Yeah, how's that feel? Well, it feels like a sock in the gut. I don't believe it. You don't? No, I can't believe it. You think maybe he'll do the thing Kevin was talking about and stay for the San Diego discount? I mean, I just can't see him leaving. They can't both leave. Like, what the heck? It's gnarly. Are you kidding me? That's the business world of sports. Speaking of guys leaving. San Diego fans apparently want Jake Peavy to zip it. Yeah, Jake Peavy, who is, you know, all-star here in San Diego, beloved Padre, he has his sights set on Adrian Gonzalez coming to Chicago to play with him on the White Sox. Chicago's in desperate need of a new power-hitting left-handed first baseman. They've got Paul Canerco, who's...
He's pretty good. He's getting up there in years. Gonzalez is in the absolute prime with no protection around him in the lineup. He still hit 40 bombs last year here at Petco, which is a very hard part to hit in. What a great fit for the White Sox. And Peavy has told the GM, Kenny Williams of the White Sox, hey, he's a character guy, he's a class guy, and he's a hell of a ball player. I can't take it. We've got to get this guy. I can't. I can't take it. I moved to San Diego, and there's been a mass exodus of all these San Diego, like the best players here. I know it, man. No way. It was pretty crazy, man. But also, Shaquille O'Neal is likely done for the regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers Center. Probably done. He hurt his right thumb, asked about the injury. Shaq said, oh. Yeah. That's a pretty fascinating clip when you think about it because. Well, he calls himself the big Aristotle. He does? Yeah, he calls himself the big Aristotle. He proclaims that he's a really, really smart dude. And by that interview, you can tell that he is. I think I got a lot out of that. I mean, I'm reading between the lines in a lot of what he's saying, but let's listen to it again. Yeah. Very articulate. Yeah, he is. Way with words. He does. And that's Woods on Sports, Mike. That's what it is. That's what it is. You can call us if you want to, 570.
One ninety four nine is our number. You can text us as well. The text is nine four nine. Mikey at Gmail dot com. A couple. OK, so we're going to get into the full on breakdown of what happened at Sienna's wedding in a little bit. She's now a married woman. So crazy. I know it. Your voice just took a beating. Yeah. I couldn't even walk like two steps without talking. And the music was so loud. So. What do you think most of it was with The Voice? Was it the partying with the Bachelorette group? No. I mean, it was just Thursday night, such a long night. Friday night, such a long night. Saturday night, such a long night. And we still have people staying with us at our house. Are you serious? They're going to be there until Tuesday. Oh, my. I know. I love them, though. So it's fun. Again, we're going to have some audio in a little bit, update you on what's going on with Chelsea King, the missing 17-year-old from Poway last night. If you're just tuning in right now, they announced, and it is the front page of the San Diego Union-Tribune, man held in search for Chelsea King. The man's name is John Albert Gardner III, 30 years old. He's from Lake Elsinore, and he is a registered sex offender.
And so we're going to give you more information on that. And Sienna said they have physical evidence. Physical evidence is involved in that. And so more on that. Well, that's what we assume. There was not any information released. But in order for him to be arrested, there has to be some sort of evidence. OK, so we'll get to it in just a bit. We're going to have more on it. And of course, your phone calls and text messages. Very interesting night for our boy Steve Woods, who came and hung out in the studio here at FM 94.9 with Tommy, right? Yeah. You hung out with Tommy, the afternoon guy. Had a blast, man. There were some guys here from, and I'm going to mess it up. Stone Brew. No. No, Ballast. Ballast. Ballast Point. Ballast Point. Love those guys. And they collaborated with Cafe Calabria, who actually does our coffee here, the delicious coffee. Yeah. And they made like this. Coffee, beer, fusion. And it was delicious. So I got to hang with those guys and try some beer. And it was a good time. Went out with Owen after that. Owen, our promotion director. You had a great time. We did. We did. We had a great time. 570-1949 is the number. If you want to, you can text us. The text is 949mikey at gmail.com. Also in a little bit, have you heard the controversy with Bill Cosby going off on a...
on a publicist while he was doing an interview at the Playboy Jazz Festival. Bill Cosby doesn't get mad. Oh, he got mad. And we got the audio. And we're going to be doing it for you in just a little bit. This was a weird thing. Oprah Winfrey interviewed Jimmy Fallon. And during the interview, asked him about, because he's got relationships with Jay Leno. He's also got relationships with Conan O'Brien. And so she wanted to know. You know, how is Conan doing? Because you've probably talked to him. I never got your take on the whole Late Night Wars. I haven't heard what you have to say about Jay versus Conan. Where were you and all that? We didn't hear from you. Yeah. Well, I mean, we had a show to do when that was all going on. We were on every night, so I just kind of concentrated on just being funny and keep my head down. I'm just happy that I have a job. I love Conan. And I love Jay. I just talked to Conan yesterday. I talk to Jay all the time. It's just, I think everyone will work out. It'll be fine for everybody, but it was just unfortunate it just worked out the way it did. How's Conan doing? Horrible. Horrible. Strange reaction from the crowd. Strange nervous laughter from Oprah. And you know what I think? I think he's being serious. Yeah, right? Yeah, he sounds dead serious. Horrible.
I think Jimmy Fallon is being serious. I think that Conan is actually doing horrible. And now Jimmy tries to, now that Jimmy's heard the laughs, he's like, he really is doing terrible, so I'm not sure what to do. He has a beard now. He's really, no, he's going to figure it all out. You know, it's just, the whole thing is, he's still funny. He's a funny guy. Yeah. I feel like he seemed like he was annoyed that Oprah asked him about it. I do too. His advice of just kind of keeping his head down and worrying about being funny, it's pretty good advice. I think I'm going to take that for myself. Yeah. Yeah. It is pretty good advice. I'm going to worry about six to ten. Absolutely. From now on. That's a good idea. A little bit later also, we're going to be telling you about the tsunami. Well, tsunami warning. Tsunami warning that went out for Hawaii and what actually happened with it.
Defense chief in Chile is blaming the Navy for not issuing. A tsunami alarm. Yeah. What does that mean? What did we not do? Well, apparently along the coast is where it got hit the hardest, obviously. And there wasn't much warning to some of the small towns along the coast. And that's where 541 people died was right on the coast. And they're saying that the Navy should have been stronger about issuing these warnings. They should have gone off earlier. You know, like it was just they were not prepared at all. Really? And then this is an interesting story. Military is okaying Twitter and Facebook. Now, this falls into the category of, I didn't really know what was going on there in that regard anyway. I didn't know what Twitter and Facebook policy was with the military, but what's the deal? Well, they're now approving it because they're saying...
The benefits outweigh security concerns because that was their issue before, that there was always security concerns because, you know, people can log on, people can see what they're doing. I don't know, get too much information. So now the defense secretary, Robert Gates, is saying that he wants to use social networking to help the Pentagon interact with members of the military. What? Yeah. How about texting, bro? How about a phone call? I know. Now it's, you know, MySpace, Facebook, any of that Twitter. It's all okay. Do you think that's stupid? I think the more information that's out there between Washington and our soldiers that are maybe overseas, I don't think that there should be much exchange of information in a public forum. No. You know what I mean? Like zero. Zero. You down with that, Lauren? I mean, I feel like the government should be able to make their own form of Facebook and Twitter that's private. You would think they could do that. Yeah, I mean, that's gnarly. Tom did Myspace all by himself. I mean, come on. Yeah, exactly. How long is it going to take for there to be a stupid screw-up and somebody says something on Facebook or Twitter that's just stupid? People getting kicked out left and right. I see that every day. Absolutely. The killer whale shows are going to resume at SeaWorld now, we are finding out. They've already started.
resuming. Really? And they kicked it off in Orlando and they had their show and obviously that one, I forget his name, like Tilakumu or whatever. Yeah, Tilakumu. From Chile. Well, he was not in the show, as you can imagine. But the other killer whales were, and they started off with this whole montage memorial for the woman who was killed, Dawn Branchu in Orlando, the trainer who had all that experience. So now it's back in San Diego. The Shamu show is back. That's open too. Yes. However, trainers are not allowed in the water with any killer whales right now. They're doing it all from the platform. Yeah, that's the deal. At the different places, all the different SeaWorlds, because a lot of people don't realize there are SeaWorlds not just here in San Diego, but also Orlando. San Antonio. San Antonio. And this is the CEO of SeaWorld talking about it. We will resume performances of our killer whale show, Believe, tomorrow at SeaWorld parks in Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio. But our trainers will not enter the water. The trainers aren't getting in the agua. Boring. Yeah, right? Boring.
snatched off the platform? Exactly. That's what I was thinking. She wasn't even on the platform. No, she wasn't even on the platform. Yeah, I know. So here's what he has to say about that. The findings of this group and the changes to our interaction procedures that result from our review will be made public in due course. We will only resume in-water interactions with our killer whales after the review is complete and... I love the phrasing, by the way. I love his microphone. Popping the P's, man. Yeah. Our what do you call them? Our whales after the review is complete and... We have implemented any changes in procedure we feel will assure the safety of our training staff. So there will not be any in-water interactions. I like seeing the flips and the standing on their back and, you know. Of course, right? Yeah, but I understand. I mean, it is, after something like that, you have to take precaution. Yeah. I've never been. Never been to SeaWorld. Have you? Yeah. I've never been. You cannot call yourself a San Diegoan until you go to SeaWorld. That's right, dude. You got to do it. Hey, Jeff Goldblum, what do you think about this? They don't want to put on funny hats and do tricks for us, and I don't want them to. I'd like them to honor them in their best life. I love animals. If you're a SeaWorld trainer, and I know you know what you're doing if you're a SeaWorld trainer, and you're in Orlando where this just happened, are you freaked out about getting back in the water? 100%. Right? You're not really psyched to go to work, I would imagine. I would think so.
Even though, you know, you know what you're doing and you trust the animals, Lauren? I would say if they're at the level that they're at, they probably know the risks involved. So they probably know that, you know, that could have easily been them and they still know that it could be them. But that's a risk that they're willing to take to be in that profession. Of all people, Matt Damon weighing in on. the animals. You should go see The Codes. It's a fantastic documentary that came out. A lot of it is about those taking some of these animals in captivity and what that means for the rest of the dolphins and whales out there. It's horrible that this person lost their life. It's absolutely horrible. That's right. That was Matt Damon. I heard you the first time I knew who that was. That was Matt Damon. I know it. Thank you. All right. Thank you. You've seen The Cove, right, Lauren? Yeah. The documentary? Yeah, I've seen it. It's pretty heart-wrenching. What is the deal? What is the plot? Well, it's with the dolphins that are, I believe, in Japan. Right. I don't know. Everything's kind of running together now. And it's, like, illegal. All this illegal, like, I don't know what the word is. Harpooning? Yeah. I don't know if that's a word. Of dolphins? Yeah, and there's, like, blood and, yeah.
And so what's the movie about? Like how they're doing it illegally? Yeah, doing it illegally and, you know, getting them in for tricks and stuff like that. Really? Yeah. Did they do a show on any killer whale stuff? You know, I didn't see the whole thing. You didn't? You fell asleep? I saw parts of it as well. The government looks away. I mean, everybody knows about it, but the government just kind of looks the other way. Really? Yeah. Were there any killer whales? I can't remember, Jay. I don't remember any killer whales in it. No, but I see what he's saying. And, you know, I like what SeaWorld does from a humanitarian perspective. But I have to say I'm with Matt Damon on the tricks and everything of wild animals. I'm just not into that part. Another big story today. Apple has admitted to using child labor. I mean, I don't understand. What's the deal, CNN? Well, they announced that at least 11... 15-year-old children were discovered working there in the factories in China last year. Question. What? I worked when I was 15. I did too. Me too. Is there something wrong with working at 15? I don't know. I worked when I was 14. And that's what some people are saying. They're like, well, what's the big deal? They're 15. They're not like eight years old. Sienna, what was your first job? I was, well, I babysat at like 13, you know, but I worked as a hostess when I was just turned 15.
So we worked. Yeah, we did. I did too. I mean, hey, listen. My parents made me. Yeah. I mean, if it was nine-year-olds or whatever, okay, I understand. That would be bad. But at 15 years old, I was getting yelled at by a retail guy at a clothing store that I worked at selling really bad Michael Jackson faux leather jackets. I think there's some big companies, though. I appreciate the applause. Thank you so much. Thank you. But I did that. I think there's some big companies, though, that you need to be 18, you know. And they're not saying necessarily in this article that they needed to be 18 in Apple. They're just saying, you know, from now on, we're going to be reviewing all the employment records a lot further in detail. And, you know, we're sorry we didn't know that they were underage. I bet it has to do with things like benefits and stuff like that. And, you know, they were working and they weren't making very much money and yidi yidi yidi. Hey, listen, I worked when I was 15 years old. Working when you're 15 years old is... I wouldn't have gotten my job when I was 15. They told me afterwards when they found out how old I was that I wouldn't have gotten it, but legally they can't ask. Really? Can't they ask you to fill an application? They thought I was older.
Because my very first day, I had to punch in. I was a hostess at a restaurant. And they were like, okay, just punch in your social security number. And I'm like, I don't know it. They're like, you don't know your social security number? I was like, no. Really? A couple days later, it came out. I was only 15. And they were like, oh, my gosh. Really? We thought you were like 19. They didn't make you fill out anything, like paperwork? I filled out paperwork, but I guess they overlooked it or something. Oh, my. Oh, my. All right, let's do this. This is pretty good. I've taped. Saturday Night Live, watched it. Most of the time I'm like, whatever. This was pretty funny. Saturday Night Live did a skit on that We Are The World remake where they apologized for it. Oh, no. Can't wait for how bad it is. And they do like a parody of it where they're singing and I got it for you. And then we're going to tell you about the, we're going to tell you all about Sienna's wedding and the,

The Mikey Show is myself. My name is Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Also, Woodsy. He does sports for us. And we have Lauren, who is our assistant producer. We have Sienna, our news girl. And we have Jay, our producer, who you can hear the sultry sounds of his voice by calling us right now. 570-1949. And if you want to text 949Mikey at gmail.com. Mikey. Yes? Sienna's now a news woman. I know it. A news woman. Now that she's married, she's no longer a news girl. Mrs. Newswoman to you. Mrs. Newswoman. Mrs. Newswoman. Somebody on her Facebook page, I told her Friday, because Sienna was out Friday, and I said, we missed you today, Juggs. And he goes, well, once you get married, you've got to call her Mrs. Juggs. That's right. Mrs. Juggs, we've missed you. People like to call me Juggs now, thanks to you. You're welcome. Super. Saturday Night Live, they do a bit where they're talking about the new We Are The World song and how most people, the sentiment is that it stinks. So they got a guy doing Quincy Jones talking about it on Saturday Night Live. Here was the skit. I'm Quincy Jones. Recently, the music world came together to release We Are the World 2, a song to raise awareness of the Haiti earthquake disaster. Sadly, the song itself was a disaster. While the original We Are the World brought together stars like Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, and Tina Turner.
This new version was a sloppy mess of half-famous randos, like Busy Bone and Nipsey Hussle. It was bad, but we will heal, as we always do through song. That's why I've assembled another group of musicians for We Are The World 3, raising awareness of the We Are The World 2 disaster. I don't know who they have. I love it. I don't know who they have that does the Gwen Stefani voice. But whoever she is with the like random yell outs that Gwen Stefani, you know, Gwen Stefani has those little whatever it is. They got somebody that does that. Take a listen to this. This was from Saturday's Saturday Night. There comes a time when we heed a certain call and the world must come together as one. People singing. Some famous but most not. We got to do one. I think we should do one. We should. We are the world was good the first time.
That's fantastic. Can we get the video of this up somehow? Oh, yeah. We will. So, Sienna, there is so much that you missed at your own wedding. I know. You know what I mean? I mean, that's the hard thing. I can't wait to see the video because people were like, oh, your stepdaughter was so cute when she was walking down the aisle. She took it so seriously. I'm like, oh, I wish I saw it. Oh, that, by the way, is the part that. Got Lauren. I know. It almost got Todd too. Really? Yeah. Yeah, I bet. It's his daughter. It's his daughter. And, you know, so we're, well, first of all, we get there. It's absolutely gorgeous. And there's this big, beautiful rainbow. Took up the whole sky. It did. It was like a half circle. Yeah. Let me start by saying. I got there first, weird, because I'm always half an hour early everywhere I go. And I'm standing there and I'm waiting for my crew, my entourage. Yeah. And I see Mikey walking towards me in a black suit, perfectly tailored to his little body. Yes. Looking sharp. Looking sharp. That's right. Paisley tie, just sharp as a tack. Yeah. Just, I was so impressed. I didn't have anything to do with it.
Thank you very much. My wife did all of it. Nicely done, Rebecca. Lauren came in a dress. That was the first time any of us had seen her in dress. She looked stunningly beautiful. That's right. Her boyfriend, Matt, looked sharp. Everybody looked good. I had my pinstripe on. I didn't wear pink. Thank you. Just for Sienna. That's right. And so we all file into the church, okay? And this thing gets going, and it's so beautiful. And listen, looking at that program, you had a program. I know. I'm like, this is the classiest thing I've ever seen in my life. I mean, she had, like, actual violinists. Yeah, like a string quartet. That quartet was amazing. They were great. It was great. See, and I didn't even get to hear, you know, so much of it. They were so good. And, yeah, we did. I mean, I had to alphabetize things. It was crazy. I had to write a thing on the back, which hopefully you guys read from Todd and I. Yeah, I did. It was awesome. And it was, I mean, every little detail. It was so stressful. So. The wedding procession comes in. Cannon in D. That's right. Cannon in D. Pachelbel's cannon. Everybody comes in. Sienna's the last to come in. And when Sienna comes in, we all stand up. And I, I mean, I am anticipating this moment like you wouldn't believe because we've seen everyone else come in. They look radiant. And I cannot wait to see what Sienna is going to look like in this dress, right? Yeah. So Sienna walks in and everybody is craning.
To look and get a glimpse of you, including me. Woodsy leans down to me and goes, do you mean me lift you up? Oh, my God. What? He laughed this loud. Like that. He asked me if I need a boost. People probably thought you were laughing at me. No. I know it. Right in his ear. Can I just tell you something, though? I need to pick you up. So I'm standing in the room right next to the church, like watching everyone go in, waiting, and the wind starts picking up like crazy. Like their dresses are blowing. They're like, it's freezing. It's freezing. And I'm like, oh, great. Oh, great. The second the last person goes in, my last bride's maid of honor walks in. starts pouring rain, you guys. You may have wondered why it took me a little bit longer to get out. It took a little bit because I was standing there like, is it going to die down? And it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. It started pouring rain. Here I am ready to go, veil and all, just like, oh, with my dad. And we had to go with a special back way to try to avoid rain. Is it true that you wore the same veil that your mother wore in her...
wedding. Yeah, an antique lace veil. It was beautiful. How awesome is that? It was classy. It was just really classy. We had a lot of family ties. I also had a little coin in my shoe that we had to tape in that my grandma, great grandma, aunts, mom, cousins, everyone have had in that shoe. The same coin. Wow. That's pretty cool. You know what got me? What? At the wedding. And I knew, I get emotional. I'm an emotional guy. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. Easy, Nancy. The first the first time I teared up was when Todd, who's Sienna's now husband, was standing up there and the guy looked so sharp. I wrote her a text yesterday about how sharp the guy looked. He looked great. He looked dynamite. So her first bridesmaid walked down the aisle. She looked up. She looked at Todd and she started crying. Oh, yeah. And I was like, I didn't know that. Oh, yeah. She started crying. And I was like, she's so happy. that her best friend is marrying this guy. That made me really happy. That's right. They all love him. So I teared up then. The next time I teared up is when Sienna stopped down the entire ceremony and gave Jenna, who's her stepdaughter, that necklace. And I'm sitting there. I'm like, don't look at me, Mikey, because I was like. Sienna, tell the story of how that happened. Tears.
You know, days before the ceremony happened, I mean, the whole time I've been thinking, I need to do something with Jenna. Like, you know, do I do a vow with her? And then the minister didn't recommend that, you know, because I do the vows with Todd. And then do we all light the unity candle together? And people didn't recommend that. So I was like, I need to do something. Your husband's daughter, you're now stepdaughter. So I had a special necklace made for her. And she was technically the flower girl, but she likes to. consider herself the junior bridesmaid. Yeah. And so I got her a little bridesmaid silver necklace and it said her name engraved with the wedding date and like a couple of little things on there. And she didn't know, right? She had no idea. And I couldn't, we couldn't rehearse that. I didn't want anyone to know. Not even my bridesmaids knew I was doing it. And Todd knew at the last second because he had to put the necklace in his pocket. Okay. Because no one else could see it. Right. And so the minister stopped after she... He said, I now pronounce you husband and wife. And before he did, you can kiss the bride. He said, now, you know, Todd, you're going to have to hold on a sec because Sienna wants to do something for her stepdaughter. I lost it. I lost it. I couldn't do it as much as I wanted to. Like, I wanted to give her a kiss and a hug and all these things. But I knew if I had kissed her, I would have just started bawling. So I put the necklace on and squatted down. And she had no idea. And she was like, oh. I'm tearing up right now. Let me tell you. It was one of those moments where.
You're in a room, and the emotion of the moment is palpable. You can feel it. Everywhere. And as you're looking around in this beautiful church, you can smell the antiqueness just of the church. You can see all these beautiful flowers everywhere. Everyone looks great. Sienna does that as just one of those moments. It was so hard to do. I was just like, ah! Because I was going to lose it. I just love her. And she, I mean, people always ask, oh, you know, how's the whole, like, stepmom thing? Are you excited about that? And it's, I could not be more excited to have her in my life. She is, I mean, an angel. My best little friend ever. We just, I'm so lucky. Mikey was your best little friend. Well, he is too, but. I thought I was your best little friend. Tattoo, you are as well, but. You know, she is in my family now, and I'm so—I love her. Is it okay if we make a deal, Senna, where she is your best female friend and I am your best male friend? Well— No, wait a minute. What about Woods and Mikey? Well, yeah, and I'm saying— And Jay. And Jay. Sorry, Jay. They're in the room. I mean little friend. Oh, well, what about Mikey? What about me? What about Mikey? What about me?
Kind of excludes me. What about your boss? I'm saying it's not a thing to you, boss. Don't you think if Sienna is to have a little friend, the girl's little friend should be her daughter-in-law, but the other should be me? I think it's appropriate. Stepdaughter. Baldi? Tap 2, I think this is kind of a special moment, and you're stepping all over. I don't know why you're acting like this. Did you just call me Tattoo or Tap 2? Or what did you even say? I can't even figure out what. Hey, Tap 2. She called you Tap 2. No, I didn't. What is that? Is that the sequel to Tap 1? Okay, if anyone wants to talk about not being able to be understood, it should be you, Tattoo. Whatever, man. Say whatever you want, Laurie. Hey, Laurie. Hey, Laurie. Hey, Lauren. Yes. Why don't you tell everybody about your little crybaby moment that you had? Even Lauren cried? Even the dark heartless. The woman who doesn't give her boyfriend a valentine. That's right. Thank you for mentioning that, Diana. The darkest heart in the world. Oh, my goodness. The part that got her, the part that got her was.
When you, what was it? I just saw Jenna, your stepdaughter, walking down the aisle and she was such an angel. It was like leading, everything was leading up to it. Your bridesmaid that cried. Everything about the church was so beautiful. The candles and the flowers. And then she came down and she was so serious and sweet and beautiful. And I just. Oh, she's so funny. You know, before we're like, are you nervous at all, Jenna? And she was in one of my friend's weddings in October. She's like, no, I've done this before. Ain't no thing to me. Awesome. She's so cute. It was it was a great the the reception was fantastic. Everything at the reception was great. There was no way in the world that I was going to dance because I don't dance. And Woods kept. Woods kept encouraging me to dance, which was making me so uncomfortable. Okay, okay, okay. Hold on. Begging. I stopped at the reception, grabbed Woods, and said, let's dance. And he panicked like a little five-year-old girl. I was like, no, I don't dance. No, I don't dance. Get away. No. I was like, what in the world? Can I just tell you the only small thing, too, as Jenna was walking out? Other than me.
Exactly. Other than that, too. We were supposed to have another flower girl, and she was two, and there was a lot of tears. I saw her. And she backed out at the last minute. It was okay, but... I saw her. Yeah, if you saw on the program, there was supposed to be two flower girls. Was the ring bear her brother? Yes, and that's the little boy. I've told you guys that I was a nanny for a long time. That was him. Yeah. My little ring bear. The whole church cracked up at him because he... He just came down the aisle with like an agenda. He was hauling ass down the aisle. He is the cutest. Oh, I love him. He's almost six and I've watched him since he was like eight months old. He's almost six? He's a little guy. He looks like he's like three. I know, he's a little guy. So, did you ever get Woodsy to dance? You didn't? No, he ran away from me. I didn't drink at the wedding because I didn't want to make him. ass out of myself, so I just didn't drink. Therefore, I did not dance. You ate the donuts, though. Boy, I ate some donuts. I feasted at her wedding. Best wedding food I've ever had, bar none. Sienna had a thing there where they were making donuts. Like little mini donuts. That's for the late night food. You gotta have something after. Fantastic. I woke up the next morning, and you guys know I'm not a big junk or sweets person or anything like that. Or normal food person, right? Yeah.
I woke up the next morning. First thing I said to Matt, my boyfriend, was, those donuts last night were so good. You have no idea. I woke up, too, and I was like, why didn't I eat more donuts? Oh, they were so good. That's so awesome. They were so light. They weren't, like, big, you know, big, puffy, dense donuts. They were delicious. It was a company called Party Donuts, and Mikey and I were talking to their owner, Mike Logan. Let's just pull out his card. Yeah, I've got his, dude. This guy is my new BFF. I'll put all the vendors on my blog. I need to write a long blog today, and so I'll put them all up there. They're all phenomenal. Those freaking donuts I'm dreaming about. But I have to say, especially my mother, who is a wedding planner, just... I mean, absolutely killed it. She was perfect. Did everything perfect. I had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Richards, Keith Richards, Sienna's father. And I said, well, the good. Real name. I said, the good news for you, man, is you only have two more daughters that you have to do this for. And he looked at me like I just kicked him in the stones. My dad is hilarious. He goes, I'm about to start collecting aluminum cans to pay for the next one. I said, yeah, you should. He has already started. He's got a few more daughters to go. Yeah. I don't know if you've heard about this, but. Bill Cosby.
He's the nicest guy in the world. When you think of Bill Cosby, what do you think of? You think it's sweet, right? Jello. Pudding. Jello pudding. And what's the little... What is that thing called? The Cosby Show? No, no, no. Not the Reading Rainbow. It's got the pen, the magic pen. And he's like, I don't know. We're going to attach the letter A to an apple. What is it? I have no... If anybody knows what Lauren O'Brien is talking about right now. Well, here's what I'm going to tell you about Bill Cosby when we come back. First of all, we'll have a listener call in and tell us what the heck she's talking about. But Bill Cosby is doing a press junket at the Playboy Jazz Festival. Now, I got audio of this. He's doing a press junket at the Playboy Jazz Festival. He gets asked a question about parenting in the black community. Gets irritated. He gets real irritated. Can't wait. Gets mad at a publicist and freaks out. Plus, I'd kind of like to get an update on what's going on with the Tom Tom girl and the movie phone guy because, you know, I don't know how their love is progressing. And I want to. We'll do it next. The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Your car or truck may be keeping a dirty little secret.

And we're going to be updating you on everything going on with the arrest of a suspect in the case that has pretty much riveted this city. The country, too. It's all over. Yeah. Chelsea King was turned up missing on Friday.
Thursday. On Thursday? Was it Thursday? Yeah, her parents reported her missing Thursday. That's right, on Thursday, because we reported on it on Friday. And there has been an arrest now of a man named John Albert Gardner III. Do we know anything more now? Police are saying there's a possibility of connection with Amber Dubois. Now, you remember her. She was 14 years old, taken outside of her Escondido High School last year. Now, they didn't say what connection, but they're saying there is a connection. And we also know, and I didn't mention this earlier, that when she never returned home, her car was found at the Rancho Bernardo Glassman Community Park, where her cell phone, iPod, and school clothes were found in the car. Wow. Yeah, but right now, John Gardner is in jail right now, and we're going to try to find out more information, but nothing else has been released. They're still looking for her. There is an arrest, though. Yeah. So, okay, so this is making the rounds. It is... Apparently, there was something called the Playboy Jazz Festival, which don't ask me. Playboy? Bill Cosby? Bill Cosby at the Playboy Jazz Festival? What is that? I don't know, man. But he's getting interviewed by the AP, the Associated Press, okay? And somebody asked him about parenting in the black community, and he gets a little bit irritated. A problem exists when you're up to, in a big city,
400 and some murders of teenage kids, kids in their early 20s. So he's getting angry. Apparently, I guess a publicist has done something that's really upset him. Yeah, but I'm trying to answer. And if you had shut up, I would have I really would have finished it. I swear. Stop. That's the publicist saying, OK, OK, dude, Bill Cosby, say it. It takes him 40 minutes to answer. Well, yeah, dude. What about Bill Cosby yelling at a woman like that? What is that? Hey, dude. Shut up. He just starts yelling at her. I don't know who the publicist is or who the publicist is. Mr. Cosby, we don't have an hour and a half to wait for the answer to your question.
Yeah. Do we know what she did? Did she give him the wrap it up sign? Did she give him the break sign? I guess. He's always been like that, though. I don't know what the surprise is. Is he really? I mean, he's always slow talking. What a freak out, man. It wasn't that bad of a freak out. Well, he told her to shut up. Yeah, but have you guys seen the clip of the I heart the Huckabees or I heart Huckabees with Lily Tomlin? That's a freak out. Yeah. That's a freak out. Well, all I'm saying is, Bill, you really got to start telling people. Yeah, but I'm trying to answer. And if you had shut up, I would have, I really would have finished it. How do you really feel? In 2011, you would have finished it. So. I don't think it's that bad. You don't? No, I mean, we don't know what kind of relationship they have with each other. You know, maybe they're really close and he's just kind of, I don't know. He powers me down. I have no tolerance for that dude. Really? None. Bill Cosby? None. Why? Ever since he filleted my boy Eddie Murphy. What did he do? For cursing. Oh. Remember? Eddie Murphy Raw. He calls him and fillets him for cursing. Yeah? Yeah. So I'm out on the game. And Eddie put it on the CD, didn't he? Yeah, he did. And it was one of the greatest comedy bits of all time. He's telling the publicist to shut up. Shut up! Okay. Shut up! Shut up! M1 Alicia.
Alyssa. Alyssa, what's up? Hey, just about Chelsea King. I just want to go. Good morning, everybody, by the way. Good morning. I just wanted to let you know this is such a freakish thing. I hope you got this cut and dry. But my co-worker's daughter was attacked in the same area Chelsea King went missing from. She was attacked on December 27th. I think they released that in the news yesterday. And she elbowed this guy in the nose. Pretty much broke his nose. Huge dude. She's super small. He gets away. So she went in and did a composite drawing with the police. And that's the guy that got arrested. You're kidding. So I, you know, God, I hope it's fat cut and dry. I mean, you know, innocent until proven guilty. But if it's him and, you know, they're trying, they're thinking he might be linked to Amber Dubois. That's what Sienna was just saying. Yeah. Sad. Let's keep this clown off the streets. Would he really be that careless, though? You know, they know that the police, it's a sketch directly of him in that same area. He's going to do it again. It's just ridiculous. He's a sex offender. Yeah. Sick. So, I mean, I don't know. So I just wanted to put that out there that, you know, I know innocence is so proven guilty, but if he's the one, then I just hope to God this is a done deal. I agree. I agree with you.
Thank you for the call. That is M1 Alyssa, 570-1949. And if you want to, you can text us. The text message is 949mikey at gmail.com. That's how you get a hold of us. TomTomGirl, did things go okay with the movie phone guy? Are you enjoying the movie phone guy? Things went better than could be expected, Mikey. That's fantastic. Tom Tom Girl is in the studio with us right now. And the movie phone guy, did he prove to be a gentleman? Actually, I was very surprised at his warm approach, Mikey. What does that mean exactly, that is a warm approach? What do you mean by that? Mostly I deal with other robotic voices, Mikey, so I don't see a lot of emotion. Yeah, I get you. I get you. Let's call him. Let's call the movie phone guy and see what his side of it is. Let's put the romantic music on, too. And welcome to Movie Phone. Hi, Movie Phone. It's Mikey calling. How are you? I'm fine. You know why we're calling, right? No. Okay. Weird. We're calling because we want to talk to you about TomTom Girl, you know, your guy's date. Of course. Yeah.
Now, if you weren't listening on Friday, we said, you know, we're trying to get the two to communicate with one another and tell each other personal things. And movie phone guy let Tom Tom Girl know that he's had a vasectomy, which we thought was really, you know, hey, listen, you thought it should be out there. And Tom Tom Girl, how did you feel about that? As I said, Mikey, it was kind of a deal breaker for me. Really? Yes. Because you want to have little Tom Toms. Exactly. Wow. Movie phone guy. How do you feel about that? I've actually had my vasectomy reversed. Wow. Recalculating, Groot. Over the weekend, you had it reversed? I've actually had my vasectomy reversed. Wait a minute. Did you have it reversed over the weekend? Yes. Okay. All right. You don't have to yell at me. So you had it reversed over the weekend, and how are you feeling now? I'm a little sore. Yeah. I can imagine.
I would guess, but look at that. That really, it looks like you're pulling at the heartstrings of TomTom Girl. He was a very brave soldier, Mikey. That's wonderful. Hey, movie phone guy, what are you going to do moving forward? Are you still interested? Absolutely. What do you think that you guys should do now to further the relation? I'd like to take her to the temper trap show. Actually, correction, temper trap. Yeah, it's temper trap. I've actually made that mistake myself. Pardon me. I'm an idiot. That's okay. Don't beat yourself up over it. You meant well. What do you think of that, Tom Tom girl? Would you like to go see temper tramp? I would very much. Temper trap. I would very much like to see temper trap, Mikey. That's wonderful. What do you think of Fiona Apple?
Apple Store located in Fashion Valley Mall. No! 27 miles. What do you think of Fiona Apple, the music artist? Not comprehending. He's trying to get to know you. He just wants to know what you think of Fiona Apple. Do you like her? Do you get into her music? The artist formerly known as Prince located in Los Angeles. No! 110 miles. Movie phone guy, she doesn't understand that. You gotta try to... talk to her on a level that she'll understand a little bit. I have to leave. My stones are killing me. Thank you, movie phone guy. Thank you, Mikey. I'll call you later. Thank you. Goodbye, sweet prince. Wow.
You got his vasectomy reversed for you, Tom Tom Girl. That's so sweet. It was quite amazing, Mikey. Fiona Apple is a Sony recording artist. She's done a lot of famous songs. One of them's called Criminal, and, you know, she's... Shadow Boxer. Shadow Boxer was a big one by Fiona Apple. You've never heard of her, probably, because you're a machine, but I'm telling you that I think you would really, really like the music. I would appreciate if my boy Woods put that on circulation in the car, Mikey. Woods, can you do that? Yeah, I can do that. I've never heard this before, TomTom Girl. It's called Criminal. It was a huge hit when it was out on the radio, but maybe Woodsy can put it on in the car. Yeah, I'll jam it today for sure. Excellent. Woodsy, I don't know that you really jam, Fiona Apple, but hey, you want to call it that? You can say that you're going to jam to it today. I'll turn it up very loud. It sounds really good. Speaking of Woodsy. Oh, God. Again?
You got rained out, poor guy. He was supposed to play his first baseball game and he didn't get to play. It's two weeks in a row, brother. And I'm out of town next weekend, so I'm probably going to miss my first game. This is not what San Diego weather is usually like. It's really perfect here. Really happy I moved. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. It's not usually like this, I'm telling you. All my friends in Dallas yesterday were sitting out on patios drinking and watching the Olympics. It was beautiful here. I'm pretty sure we were doing the same thing yesterday. It was chilly. It was wet. It was wet. It was rainy. Yesterday? Yeah, it was. Two words. El Nino. Where were you? I was in North Park. Yeah, depending on where you were, there was some... It was raining. Oh, I didn't get any rain. Where do you live? North County. None? No. It was nice and sunny. I went hiking and I got a sunburn. That's weird. Yeah. We sat outside all day. It was beautiful. You did? Yeah. LJ? Uh-huh. Sweet. So, let me talk to you about this. I don't know if you guys know that the largest statue head ever has been found of King Tut's grandfather. Yes. Now, this is cool to a dude. Now, if you're a dude, this is like guy stuff. So boring to me. I know. Like, we told the story. Lauren and Sienna were both like. Yeah.
But dudes love when they dig stuff up. That's cool. He has this 3,000-year-old statue head of Amenhotep III, the grandfather of King Tut, has been discovered in Luxor. And it's red granite. In Vegas? No. At the Luxor? Not that Luxor. Oh. That one. Yes, it was discovered yesterday. It's red granite head that is just over eight feet high and belonged to a huge statue of him in the standing position. But yeah, guys, let me correct myself, are very excited about this. Of course they are. And like one girl. Dudes love it. Love it. A statue head. It's like Indiana Jones. How boring is that? That's why we're excited because it's like Indiana Jones. Hey, when we come back... A lot of people are going to want to know this. When we come back, Sienna has eight steps, and they're supposed to be easy to stay awake. Oh, wait, excuse me, to wake up. Yes. She's got eight easy ways for you to wake up. I got no problem with it. A lot of people do. I need seven right now. A lot of people in this room do. Listen, man, my eyes wake up. I open my eyes before the alarm goes off. But for those of you that have a hard time getting up, we'll tell you about it.
And then Dog Chapman. Dwayne Dog Chapman. Mullet. Hammer pants. Racist. Yeah. Now, he lives in Hawaii. And when the tsunami warning happened, he talks about the weird stuff the animals there started doing. Who is this guy? Creepy. It's so weird. Dog. The bounty hunter. Oh. Yeah, dog. Mullet guy? Yeah, that's right. Mullet man. Play it for you next time. On FM 94.9. This is the FM 94.9 Bud Light Concert Calendar. The show's coming up this week. Woodsy, our sports guy. Lauren O'Brien, she's our assistant producer. Married news girl, Sienna. Mrs. Newswoman. That's right. And Jay, our executive producer. 949mikey at gmail.com is our text. If you want to text us, we would love to hear from you. So these are eight easy ways to wake up. What do you got, Sienna? Well, you need to make a nighttime routine. Do all of you guys have a nighttime routine? Absolutely. A hundred percent. The nighttime routine is very important. What do you do? Go to bed at the same time. First of all, I go to bed at six o'clock on the diet, go up six o'clock in bed. I know everybody left because everybody else staying awake till, you know, late. You're, you know, trying to readjust, get the thing going. But I always go to bed right at the same exact time. So when you and Rebecca leave the early bird.
At the cafeteria. When you come home, do you go right to bed then? Yeah, after we get our $2 prime rib with the awe juice, we come home and... Just nuzzle and crawl into bed. Yeah, daddy goes right to bed. Six o'clock. But I think that going to bed at the same time is a big key part of it. What are they telling us, Sienna? Well, they say that you should do things like write in a journal. You know, things that your body will know as you're doing them, that bedtime is next. Take a warm bath, have a cup of chamomile tea, do some deep breathing maybe. Doesn't tea, okay, regular tea, and I don't know, but doesn't regular tea, it's got a lot of caffeine in it, doesn't it? Yeah, black tea does. Yeah, it'll keep you awake. So the chamomile must be decaf. It's herbal. Yes. Settle down. That's right. Well, whatever you want to do, it doesn't have to be chemical tea, but just something so that your body knows after this it's time to go to sleep. Get a little routine happening. Another thing is turn off the TV and the computer because people have, you know, I'm kind of opposite of this, though. But people have a hard time falling asleep. If the TV's on, it's distracting. You know, the computer light is flashing. Just get up and turn it off. Woodsy. I thought these were how to wake up.
To make it easier to wake up. Yeah, if you do these things, you'll wake up the next day a lot easier. Yeah. These are all routines that you go through that will help you out the next day. Oh, yeah. I got it. Did you think I was going to be like, punch yourself in the face? Try some crystal meth. Like, okay, anyone can do that. But if you get into a habit of doing these things the night before, you'll get up easier. Yeah, they say have a light dinner. I would think have a heavy dinner because then you're like... My brother taught me that years ago. My brother said, what are you eating before you go to bed? I said, eight pounds of hamburger meat. He goes, yeah, you might try scaling back on that a little bit. Yeah, the lighter you eat before you sleep because your body is basically working hard to digest the food overnight. You eat a ton of stuff. You have nightmares too. Yeah, it does. It makes you have bad dreams. The obvious one, lay off the caffeine. This one says open the curtains. Now, this is for most people that wake up when the sun is out. It doesn't really qualify for us. But if your curtains are open, then the sun's going to be shining through and you're going to wake up a lot easier. Did you guys know that I, in order for me to be able to sleep really well, I have to sleep like Dracula? Me too. Dude, no light. And my wife, Rebecca is the exact opposite.
Basically a lighthouse built in the bedroom. Sleeping on the sun. Yeah, she wants to sleep five feet from the sun. And so if there is even the light from the satellite receiver in the room, I'm like... Me too. But you have little kids. That's probably why your wife doesn't want to do that. Because they come in and out at night. If they walk in and they can't see anything, it's hard. That's a deal. But it's so tough. I'm telling you that a gnat... can pass a little wind. It'll wake me up. Forget it. See, I could have the TV on and I'll fall asleep. It almost makes me fall asleep. Rebecca, too. You could shoot off cannons in the room. She's fine. I used to sleep in a mask. You did? Yeah, in Chicago because my room, the light came in so much. I was like, I can't get a wink of sleep. Me, too. When I was at the other station, my wife called in on the air live and threw me under the bus that I wear what she called the Red Baron mask. Because I look like the Red Baron with the scarf and the big goggles flying in a biplane. Nice. And yeah. Over the weekend, my son Jasper came in and he full on was poking me in the face and I didn't wake up. He finally went over to his mom and said, Daddy won't wake up. Are you serious? Oh my gosh. Wouldn't move. Do you sleep in a mask, Jay? No. I'm a man. No way. For God's sake. I one time wore one of those little eye.
And I felt so claustrophobic and miserable. I couldn't do it ever again. I love it. Me too. I love it. My perfect, ideal sleeping condition would be in a coffin. Yeah. Ice cold, shut the door, pitch black, quiet. I'm telling you, in Japan, at the airport, when you go to Japan, I'm telling you that this is the truth. You go to Japan, they've got these things that look like lockers in the airport. You can rent them hourly. You slide them out. They're big lockers. You get in there and you close yourself into this locker. This is not true. This is a totally true story. I'm telling you. They're like drawers. I love it. They're drawers, Sienna. You rent them and you sleep in there for a couple hours. Like in Seinfeld when Kramer rents out his dresser drawer. It's a big one. It's like a morgue. It's like a morgue. Man, they should do that on planes. I would never do that. It's horrifying. I would. Oh, me too. In a heartbeat. Way too claustrophobic. I think women are more claustrophobic than guys are. Put me in a coffin. Ice cold coffin. What else have you got? Know your motivation. So, you know, when your alarm is going off and you're like.
Oh, I'm so miserable. No. Just be like, oh, well, you know what? I'm just going to get up and I'll treat myself to my favorite coffee at Starbucks or wherever you want to go. And just kind of give yourself a little treat every morning. Maybe buy really good breakfast. I do this sometimes. Buy really good breakfast at the grocery store. So when I wake up and I know that there's like Cinnamon Life cereal, my favorite, in the pantry, I'm like, I'm up. I want that cereal. You know, mine is a fresh Marlboro. That's disgusting. I'm laying in bed and I go. I got to get in the shower, get dressed, get all my stuff together so I can go get myself a real fresh Marlboro. Yeah, you know the deal is because you haven't had one for eight hours while you slept. You're dying. Your body's screaming for it. Another thing, and this is not an everyday thing, but if you need to, say if you work at nine in the morning and you can make an appointment at the dentist or something at like eight, that'll get you up earlier because you know you have to be there. Someone else is relying on you and like you have to be there. So it's earlier and I guess it wakes you up earlier. That's what they say. If there were a computer program that you could go on to and you can change the function of your brain with this computer program, I would have to go into mine and tell it to have me stop thinking so much. Because my brain is so constantly moving and operating and thinking of things that it keeps me, I think, almost in a state of constant awareness. And so my alarm goes, my alarm is set to go off.
at 2 a.m. Never does. I'm always awake at 1.30. You guys get emails from me starting at 1.40. 1.25. Yeah, 1.25. I keep mine on silent now. You do? Yeah. You have to with me. Yeah, for sure. Because I'm... Please. Sienna, what time does your alarm go off? It goes off at 3.15. And does it go off or do you wake up before it goes off? Sometimes I wake up, but I don't get up. I will sleep until the last second that I need to. You do? Yeah. Let's see. How about you? What time is your score? Mine's set for 315, which is really 245. And I hit snooze like six or seven times. What does that mean? It means that he actually probably sets it. Half an hour faster. So when I wake up and look at it, I go, oh, it's 3.30. I'm like, no, it's not, dude. In my head, I'm like, it's 3. I play mind games with myself all the time. I hardly ever push sleep or else I'll just keep sleeping. There is a complete section of people listening right now driving in their cars that purposefully set their clocks ahead of time. I'm not one of them. I am. My wife is. It makes me crazy to know that I'm not working on the polarized radar from Colorado.
The official time that's being kept like milliseconds has to be accurate. Do you know what a treat it is to wake up and the alarm goes off at 3. It says 3.30 and I'm like, or whatever, 3.15. And I'm like, oh, yeah, dude, it's really 2.45. I can go back to sleep for a while. You interrupt your REM cycle, though. And that last half an hour of sleep that you get is useless. It takes me 45 minutes to wake up. LOB. What time is your alarm set to? Mine depends on. what I have to get done in the morning or if I'm going to shower, if I showered the night before. So you change it up? Yeah. She uses a sundial. Yeah, she does. An organic, healthy sundial. I'll tell you what. On the weekends, I will take like a half an hour to get out of bed and be like, no. But when my alarm goes off for the show, I am like, and just like on autopilot. That's how I woke up at. 9.45 p.m. the other night and started getting ready for work. She did. That was the best. I don't ask questions. I just go. Lauren accidentally woke up at 9.45 at night, thought that it was the next morning for work, and proceeded to get up, make coffee, take a shower, and get ready for work. It was 9.45 the night before. And the other day that I filled in for Sienna, the day that I spilled coffee everywhere because I was such a wreck,
She has a lot of work to do. And I was up until like 11 o'clock doing that work. And then I told you, it was lucid sleep the entire time. The whole entire night was like, four people discovered. That's how I am every single night. Going through my head. I think that every night. And I'm like, wait, was it four people or five people? Where's that story? And I do. And you think about it every night. Are you serious? Because if I mess something up, you know, which happens sometimes, I get a million emails and I don't want to give anyone the wrong news. And especially for Lauren, it was probably worse because she's filling in. So, you know, she didn't even really know what I was doing to begin with. For sure. Is there any more of those on there, by the way? Yeah, the last one is just to remember that motivation, they say. And I would never do something like this. But is write down all the reasons and the things you need to do in the morning. So say you have to get the kids up. They need to be at school. If they're at school, they're going to learn. You know, you have to be to work because that's what's going to get you the paycheck. Like write down a little just everything, your morning routine and remind yourself. Hey, by the way, if you have any of these, you got any hints on how you wake yourself up or you have some funny, weird way?
of how you make sure that you get up, 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. For some of us, it's a lot harder than others. My wife, it takes her a long time to wake up. And my wife is also the person, and a lot of people can relate to this, she doesn't like to have serious conversations the moment that she wakes up. Now, picture you and your spouse, your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your husband, or your wife on the weekend. When you wake up, if they try to talk to you about something that's like actually, you know, something that has to do with substance. My wife is like, can you please? She wants an hour to be able to get her. And I'm like, babe, have you heard about the stimulus plan? And she's like. Please get. Please get. I'm right there with her on that one. You are? If it's the weekend and, like, you don't, like, for you, you know, this is routine, but she doesn't need to be thinking about the stimulus plan first thing in the morning. Well, I've been awake for seven hours by the time she gets up. You're like the little kid, like, get up, get up, get up, get up, get up. I'm bouncing up and down. I'm like, babe, do you remember four years ago that time that we went to that place for vacation in Texas? What was the name of that? And she's, like, literally one eye opening up, fluttering. Stop it. And she goes, and...
I know the score, but she's still, babe, I don't, hang on. Yeah. But I'm still trying. All right, let's get a little news on traffic right now. Good morning. It says, why is it that when we fall asleep during the day, we wake up and feel like it's the next day, even if we wake up at night? I don't know what it is, but we do. And I hate taking, you ever done the thing where you take too long of a nap every day? You wake up, you want to vomit. So drowsy. Every single day since I moved here. It's the worst. This person says, Mikey, I wake up and the first thing I do is open a monster energy drink. No way. Could never do that. Mikey, I set my alarm very loud and put it on the other side of the room. Me too. I have to. M1T for two. You have to physically get up and walk across the room. Oh, yeah. If it's next to me, I'll snooze and then I'll wake up and it'll be noon and I'll miss the Mikey show. Your boyfriend, Matt, must really love you. Yeah. I'd be like, turn it off. He doesn't. Half the time he tells me he doesn't even hear it. I have a question for you. You've been in radio a long time. Yeah. Anybody ever sleep through a show? No. No. Never? Wow. God, I don't want to be the first. I'm going to start setting records. I am petrified of waking up and it being.
10.30 and looking at my phone and having 300 missed calls from Mikey and texts and all kinds of stuff. You can't sleep through a show. I'm letting you know. You can't sleep through a show. You've never had anyone? Never? No. Oh, I was on a show and almost everyone, like, there was not slept through. On an AJ show? Yeah, not slept through the whole show, but one person got fired because of it. Did AJ ever do it? He came in late one time. Really? Yeah. Oh, my goodness. It's hard. I mean, you know, it's hard. I can't believe you never have. It's like sometimes one day you're going to have that day, I think. And I think if you were, like, furious that someone did it one time, I don't think you should be. Like, I think you have to have one, like, okay day. A freebie. One free get out of jail. One free, yes. All right, let's discuss. Let's discuss. Okay, because it's like, dude, we wake up so early. No one else gets up that early, like, and there's no other signs of light that can get you up. Let's discuss. Power goes out. Okay. Power goes out. Yeah. My alarm is blinking midnight. Yeah. And I wake up and it's, let's say it's 730. Got an answer. Answer. You have to have a clock that has a AA battery in it as a backup. That was part of our, that was like we signed on board to have two alarms. One being battery operated. Yeah.
Oh, 100%. And what if the battery dies? The only reason the battery died is because my boy Steve Woods forgot to put in a brand new battery every six months. See, I think stuff like that will happen, but I also think that... Sometimes, I mean, we're all human. You may be so out of it that you turn off your alarm on accident instead of hitting snooze or something like that. I've done that. Like, everyone's done that. And then say you don't wake up until 6.15 and you see these missed calls because your phone was on silent like Woods does because he doesn't want to hear your emails in the middle of the night. We also live in a day and age where a lot of us don't use our home phone anymore. Yeah. Don't have one. You don't have a home phone, Woods? I don't either. None of us do. I don't either. What for? I feel like a retiree right now. Because I have a home phone. Jay, do you have one? He does. I do because mine's all packaged together. It actually would cost me more for the package if I didn't have my home phone. There's one thing, too. For kids, you guys have kids and the school sometimes need those numbers, really. So it's worth it. Every day I get a phone call from Finn's school. Your son was...
absent, or tardy to one or more classes. Really? Yes. Me and Jay, the two oldest guys on the show, by the way. Yeah, you shout it, Mikey. Yeah, apparently we're from old-time radio days of the... Yeah, see? That's why Catherine Hepburn is now offering... Cold Bond. Yes, she's offering Cold Bond medicated powder over the radio and also letting people know that you can now get a clock that has two separate times. Absolutely wonderful. So what's the bit? What happens? Here's the question. What's the latest anybody's ever been? He just said no one. Wait a minute. One time. I remember one time Eddie had gone out and he had done it up pretty good the night before. He still showed up, but he showed up like seven. Seven. Yeah.
The show started at 6. What happened? Oh, that for him, that was like he wanted to. The worst thing that could ever happen. Oh, yeah. He was so upset. And it was like, and I knew he like felt terrible about it. But now people don't have home phones. So if you call, it can't get a hold of you. I don't know. I mean, you got to have a couple alarms set. Yeah, I have too. But it's still, I mean, I've been doing morning radio for four and a half years and it's never happened to me. I know, but that's what I'm saying is I think one day it will. And I know one day it will. Yeah. M1 Lag Spike. Yes, sir? What up, dude? How's it going? Good. Right on. You got ways that you wake up real easy? Oh, yeah, yeah. Pretty much what I do is I have three alarm clocks. I use my phone, my girlfriend's phone, and my watch.
So I put my girlfriend's phone on one side of the room, my phone on one side of the room, and then my watch wakes me up first. That doesn't wake me up. So then one phone goes off. I have to get up to go turn it off, and then I go back to sleep. And the other one goes off, and I have to get up for that one. By that time, I'm already like, okay, it's been three alarms. I'm up. I bet your old lady hates you. Dude. Right? I know it. She wakes up three times. What's going on? How is it that hard? I want to hear something like, I wake up and do 12 backwards somersaults. Like something really weird. It works. Try it. I'm telling you. You're right away. It's going to be interesting when Jamie moves out here. My wife Jamie is moving from Dallas soon. I mean, things are in motion. So this is going to be a new bit. You know, we've got four dogs and they're going to be up and she's going to be like, I...
I don't literally hate you. I want to have another house, a separate house. I think they'll get used to it, though, because I have a dog, and the dog sleeps on the bed, her bed, right on the floor of our bedroom. And she knows the routine now. She knows, you know, don't get up and follow her. She just lies in her bed and doesn't make a sound. Wow. Yeah. If your guy's routine when you wake up is off by one little thing, does it ruin your day or are you fine? No, I'm cool. We're not schizophrenic. Mike's day would be ruined. A hundred percent. Me too. My now husband, Todd, the same way. Ruined. Really? Oh. Oh, yeah. I can't. I'm telling you, man. I wake up and, uh, like, uh, today. Uh, I got up today and I forgot to set the, I forgot to set the coffee thing. Mm-hmm. Oh, no. Yeah. You okay? No. I'm the same way, Mike. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the moon, dude. Eat that clip. It's the worst. Makes me cringe. I've never wanted to punch a girl. I want to punch that broad in her face. Whatever. I hate her. I'm telling you, if something is off in it, forget it. Oh, by the way, got a text message from somebody that said that they finally tried kombucha, which is the drink that Lauren drinks that smells like vinegar. And they tried it and didn't know that it was carbonated and spilled it all over their lap.
Did they say that it tasted like deer urine? Yeah, because it does. Because it does. Yeah, you know, you can actually take kombucha and put it on trees and attract elk. It's really great. I bet they didn't say anything about the taste except that it was delicious. Is that right? Do you honestly believe that it's delicious? Delicious, like apple juice in the morning. Like, ooh, I can't wait to get some kombucha. Yeah. We were talking about those little treats. I haven't had kombucha in my fridge for a week now. And this morning I woke up and was packing my little lunch pail and thought, man, today would be so much better if I had my kombucha. Why don't you just make some homemade kombucha? We can have somebody go out and get some apple cider vinegar. Well, I don't know. We'll get some mushrooms and get a food processor. Get a mass and gill. Yeah, get a mass and gill. Squeeze it into a glass. Yeah, squeeze it into a glass and then chop up some mushrooms and stick it in there. It's the exact same thing. Put a little soda water in there for carbonation. Said from the two guys that have never tried it. That's true. No, no. No, I didn't try kombucha. No, he tried the essential greens. M1 Brett. Yeah. Go ahead. Usually I wake up from the bus stop. It's in front of my house.
There's a bunch of kids that, you know, especially on a Monday, they all wake up and tell their stories. You use it as an alarm? Yeah, we kind of, well, we have an alarm just in case. But, you know, hey, the kids are here. So I don't even have kids, but my wife and I would just wake up and, hey, there's the bus stop. You hear the brakes screeching. Right now I'm so jealous. Right in front of my house. Right? I'm so jealous because you're sleeping while kids are going to school. No kidding, dude. We used to have a homeless guy outside of our window in Chicago. They sold these newspapers on the street, and he would sing. At the top of his lungs, he would sing, help the homeless, help the homeless, as loud as he could. And I would wake you up. My brother used to go nuts. Oh, yeah. What do you think about this? You can call us, by the way, if you want to on this, 570-1949, or you can text us, 949Mikey at gmail.com. Hi, Mikey Show. I thought of something that you guys might find some interest in. I was out shopping and heard some lady talking on her cell phone so loudly about her husband's sex drive. There she was just selecting her perfect apples and talking about whether or not he should be on Viagra.
I would have a hard time hearing most people I know talk about this kind of stuff. I don't want to be in a grocery store hearing about a woman's intimate sex life, especially not if my kids are around. Just wondering if you have touched on things like TMI yet. M1 SD Bolts mom. Yeah, TMI. Too much information. Yeah, too much information. You're thinking of TMJ. Very similar. Only one of them you tell people too much. Yeah. You guys had this happen to you recently? Oh, yeah. Woods did it one time. Woods did it? Like, more than one time. Oh, please. Woods eat all the time. But the same, like, a lot of people will say this, and it makes me really uncomfortable. What? Like... Great. What? About how they go commando and stuff. Oh, yeah. Yes. I'm imagining your package, and I don't want to. Yes. I... Lauren. I'm really going to throw you into the bus. No, what? Please. I don't want to. Please. You better not be bad. And you're being inappropriate. Well, this was a really big TMI, like, made me, like, recoil. Do the days? Yeah. All about me, too, I guess. Perfect. We were out to dinner as a group when Woods' wife Jamie was in town, and I didn't hear the leading up conversation, and all of a sudden the...
Phone was being passed to me. And it was a picture. It was the greatest thing ever. It was a picture of Woods on the toilet eating cereal. How have we not talked about this yet? I can't believe that that slipped by. We've all seen a picture of Woods eating a giant bowl of cereal on the toilet. It made me shatter. I wasn't expecting, and I was like, what are you guys talking about? And all of a sudden, the phone came my way, and I went, oh. Oh, see, I thought it was hilarious. I mean, it was really funny, but I was like, wow, that's going to be forever emblazed in my skull. Woodsy will let you know things about him, whether you're prepared for them or not. I love that Jamie thought it was hilarious. She was, like, proud, like, showing it off. This is my idiot husband. I immediately knew that Jamie and I would be friends because she had a picture of Woods sitting on the toilet on her cell phone. You know what it's called? It's called killing two birds with one stone, dude. Woods, does it make you uncomfortable that your wife has a picture of you having cereal on the toilet? I don't really get that uncomfortable, dude. She didn't notice. Yeah. What's the last time you had somebody give you something that was a little too much information? Damn it, Lauren. 570-1949. Thank you for bringing that up. No kidding. I know. Of course. 949mikey at gmail.com.
Yeah, my mom has definitely told me too many things about my dad where I go, Mom! Yeah. Your parents ever do that? Of course. And you're like, Mom? Oh, yeah. One of my friends, her mom was around when my dad was in high school and she told me, yeah, I guess they used to live together and like they were dating for a while. I was like, oh! Your dad hooked up with everyone. Oh! Like the worst, you know what the worst is too? Is when, because parents will use adult. Like, you know, like we don't speak. And they'll say things like, when making love. You're like, mom. When people say making love, it seems worse to me than anything else. It's way worse. Making love. So creepy. I know. Like, please don't say that. Please. See, my mom uses like more explicit terms than I would even use. Really? Does she really? I want an example badly. Well, yeah, but can you say it? Well. Yeah, I can say this one. This isn't necessarily a TMI. This is just like an awkward thing that my mom did. My brother-in-law, at the time he was just my sister's boyfriend, came to stay with my parents for the first time. And it wasn't the first time. It was the first time my parents decided that they could stay in the same room. And my mom said, okay, well, Sean.
I'm going to let you do this, but you got to keep your snake in this cage for the next 24 hours. Are you serious? Yeah, like straight from meet the parents. And she was like. Oh, my. He was mortified. He goes, I'll do what I can. That's even worse. That's when you just respond. Mom. It's like parents will do it. Parents will kill you. M1 Pascal. Hey, the woods thing is funny, the eating and exiting. Right. Ew. It's sanitary. Yeah, it's just weird. Yeah, yeah, it's totally weird. It's all right. My friend Brandon was caught brushing his teeth while on the toilet. Anything than doing what you need to do is a little bit weird if you ask. Can't say that. Can't say that. You can't? I was relaxing. It's a place to go and reflect. Wait, really? So is the library, bro. It's open. You can't take cereal in there, pal. That's why he uses his personal bathroom. Because he can't take Cocoa Puffs into the library. Here's the deal. God love my wife, but my wife is...
I don't get a lot of down time, like alone time ever. So cereal in the bathroom is your answer? Yeah. That was my answer. Hey, bro, get a man cave, will you? I need some woods time. No, no, no. I have to have his back here. Yeah. Because I guarantee you, this is a good guy thing. And Todd doesn't go into the bathroom and eat or anything. I've eaten sandwiches, all kinds of stuff. That's their place to escape. And, like, guys go in there forever. Oh, I do. I'll be there for an hour. You guys take so... I'm like, are you done yet? Yeah, I do. Like, I haven't even seen you. I do. Yeah. I do, but... Take a sandwich with you next time. It's a treat. No, no, no. Can't do that. It's a treat. I don't think it's that gross. Thank you. It's a great place to, I think, answer email. Yeah, I do it all the time. So you'll take your computer in there. See, but will you wash off your keyboard? Right, exactly. It's just as bad. He's not using his hands to eat it. My computer's called an iPhone. So it's not, you know. Well, then there's plenty of doo-doo particles on all of these then. Remind me not to touch your phone. 100%. No. No. I'm much more careful. I use little. I have gloves. How about locking the door? Huh? How about locking the door so she doesn't come in with a camera? I did. I did. But she's like, are you really eating in there? I don't believe it. And I open the door and she goes.
Snapped a picture. Hey, by the way, there are some spouses that are offended by the locking of the door. Mine's one of them. What are you doing in there? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get, dude. What do you think I'm doing? Yeah, I mean, it's a private time. I want to lock the door. Really? People get offended? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, definitely. For sure. That's strange to me. They feel like, you know, you should be... In there hanging out? I guess. I guess so. Gross. Do you ever... Like, smell something so bad that you feel like you can taste it. If I were in there eating, I would feel like my cereal tasted like doo-doo. Honey, your cereal probably does taste like doo-doo. Guarantee you. I guarantee you. It's twigs. It's twigs. It's compost. Twigs and barley. It's barley wheat. Your cereal is sort of made of very organic parts, you know. Yeah. This used to be a rhinoceros. Ew. She's like, I don't know if it's this or if it's the food I'm eating. Right. So I'm in good shape. By the way, Jay Leno returns tonight. I don't know if you know that, but Leno is back tonight. Is that the deal, Sienna? He's been off now for a few weeks. Yep. Back on the Tonight Show. Big controversy, but now he's back? Yeah. He's going to be having Jamie Foxx on, Lindsey Vonn, the Olympic skier, and Brad Paisley.
Really? Uh-huh. Tomorrow night, it's Sarah Palin and Sean White, the snowboarder, and a performance by Adam Lambert. Oh, wow. So lovely. All of that tonight. Mm-hmm. I can see Jay Leno from my house. Thank you, Sarah Palin. Is that true? You can actually see him if you... On a clear day, you can see him, right? I can see his chin. Yeah. If it's nice and clear out and you don't have any clouds, sometimes you can see the chin. I like it. Dave Letterman tonight, though, has Jay Leno's BFF Jerry Seinfeld on. Really? They're BFF? Yeah, they're like really good friends, yeah. Remember when Jay switched time slots the first time? His first guest was Jerry Seinfeld because they're like such good friends. Jerry's like, of course I'll be on your first show. Yeah. And now, during Jay's comeback, he's on with a competitor. There you go. It's a big deal. It's beef. Check out MikeyShow.com if you get a chance. They have, when I was... When I used to do working on Light Rock Radio Station years and years ago, back in the 90s, I used to go by the name Michael Shannon on the air. And it was a different time for me. I was, you know, a little bit overweight. And at the time, it was very fashionable for men to wear suspenders. I still think it's fashionable, but go on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, maybe it's coming back. And so I used to wear, you know.
The suspenders. What else did you wear? Dockers. And what else? I wore cosmetic glasses. Explain to me cosmetic glasses. Tortoise shell. Giant tortoise shell. Big giant tortoise shell glasses. And I went by the name Michael Shannon. What was your prescription? There was no prescription. Oh, yeah, you didn't have one. They were cosmetic. Okay. They were just for cosmetic. Because it looks cool. One of the initials, Michael Shannon is Miz, okay? I don't think there's a coincidence there, pal. Well, Lauren, I guess it happened to remind Lauren of a rerun on what's happening. So if you go to Mikey, if you go to MikeyShow.com right now, you can see a video of the opening to the TV show, What's Happening. Only it's a special version with my face photoshopped in. It's very, very special. Very special. It's unbelievable. Was this your theme music back then? At K-Wave or wherever? How you doing? It's K-Wave 97 FM with Michael Shannon. A lot of you are probably wondering why I'm playing the theme music to What's Happening Right Now before I get into the Celine Dion songs.
The reason I am is because I'm wearing suspenders right now. I'm 350 pounds and I have on glasses. Best to you. It's the greatest story ever. Check out MikeyShow.com and you can see this video, which is there right now. It's horrific. There's one of the M1s, M1 wood chip. I think I've said it before. This guy needs to be working for NASA. Whatever he's doing, he's wasting his time. He's a beast with all this stuff. He's awesome. Movies that came out this last weekend. Sienna's got an update on what the big movies were at the box office over the weekend, which I have no idea. I don't know what came out. What do we got? Leonardo DiCaprio's movie Shutter Island. Which I hear stinks, by the way. I did too. I heard it stinks. That's what you said, but it's doing well. God, that's what I heard. It's doing really good.
Awful. Well, it looks, you know, from the trailer, it looks real creepy. It looks kind of good. You got big stars, blah, blah, blah. Martin Scorsese directed. You got Leonardo DiCaprio. I've talked to a few people that have seen it. They all go. Yep. Came in number one with $22.2 million. Then Cop Out was number two. Which we've seen 80,000 times before. Yeah. Bruce Willis movie that he's done 80,000 times before. So bad. And I hadn't even heard of this, maybe because I wasn't here on Friday, but The Craziest is what it says. The Craziest? Yeah. The Crazies. The Crazies? The Crazies. That would make sense. Sienna. What is that? How's it spelled? Well, I want to say The Craziest, but there's no T, you know? Honey, I love you. You know that I love you, right? But it's The Crazies. But it's The Crazies. Okay, well, I've never read Crazies before. From now on, is it okay if we refer to it as The Craziest? It sounds better, in my opinion. It actually does. I like it. And I can't believe Avatar is still hanging in there. It's number four. Nerds. Come on. Avatar made $14 million. This last week it's been in theaters for, like, 15 weeks. There's something crazy. Please. And that's the top four? Yeah. There it is.

That means when you call in, you turn your radio down, you get to the point, you don't cuss, that makes you an M1. You're a part of the M1 Nation. which is growing bigger and bigger day by day. You know the rules. You call in, you turn your radio down, you don't cuss. That is what being an M1 is. By the way, earlier, Lauren was talking about something with Bill Cosby that she couldn't remember what it was. And you were saying, you were trying to sing it, you were trying to do the whole thing? I said that he used a little pen that was like, beep, beep, beep, boop, boop, boop, beep, boop.
Picture pages. Yes. Picture pages. Picture pages. Open up your picture pages. Your crayons and your pencils. Still no idea. It was on TV, right? Yeah. I remember it as a little kid. It was on Nickelodeon? Yep. I remember it. And it says the magic pen sound that she did was perfect. Wow, that brings back memories. A Mikey show. I love antagonistic tattoo. And I love how antagonistic he gets towards Lauren. I'm not sure why he gets so antagonistic towards her, but it's funny how that worked out. That's M1 Night Scream. I don't really think I'm antagonistic to her per se. I think you are. A little bit. What have I ever said that makes you think that I'm antagonistic? I brought you flowers the other day. Really? Yes. But I gave them to Hillary. Hey, dude, you need to keep your distance from Hillary, pal. I think that is a little bit creepy, Woods. I think when you just defended her honor, it got a little weird in the room. You don't worry about her. Creep anybody else out besides me? Me. Thank you. Creeped out. You don't worry about her.
Stop, because it's creeping me out. Yeah, me too, man. Excuse me, sir. Stop, because it's creeping me out. Like that man just said, it is creeping him out. Stop, because it's creeping me out. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Sorry about that, sir. Laura. You don't worry about her. See, that's exactly what we're talking about. Just the way you say my name, that's antagonistic. What do you think is antagonistic about it, Laura? What one thing have I ever said to you? It's the tone of your voice when you say my name. Oh, really? There's a tone in my voice now? Yeah. Like, what is it? What kind of tone? Can you explain it to me that you're such an expert on tone since you work for the FBI and you must go through voice recognition classes? I'm sensing a little bit of the Napoleon complex here. Oh, really? Is that the complex where you're short and you get...
Is that Lauren? Yeah. Take it easy, Ted, too. Seriously, just simmer it down. He's freaking out. Let's see. 570-1949 is the number. You can give us a call. Text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. So, Sienna, how do you save $250 in 30 days? What is that? There's a whole bunch of ways you can save $250 in one month. Like, if you are one of those people that gets Netflix all the time, just borrow some DVDs from friends. Like Mikey, who has millions of DVDs. I do. I love movies. But probably won't let you borrow. And I'm fine with it. You will. No, please. When I was over there the other day. Well, for the Super Bowl, he said, you know, I'll probably give you a lot of DVDs. I have so many I don't even like. You can just have them. Yeah. I'm still waiting for you to bring me a little baggie. I have a lot of DVDs from the old days. Bring some in. Yeah. I would love to go through them because I'll like them. Of course. Anything that you don't like now, I'm in on. I'm sure you. I guarantee you. Yeah. Bring them in. 100%. You can save $14 doing that, borrowing DVDs instead of doing Netflix. Yeah. Per month. Also, you can save $40.
Okay, a lot of bars now, they have these things that they'll serve an appetizer and you get a free drink with the appetizer. Right. So you can save 40 bucks by going out and just doing that. Just eating at a better... If you're going out, go to Happy Hour, man. Check. I mean, there's websites, I'm sure, that say where really good happy hours are. Yeah. And it's such a better deal. It's nuts. Absolutely. El Cheapo, dude, is what I say to these. What are you talking about? Yeah, but Woodsy, it's the same food. Why not pay less for it? Whatever. It's just so much work. Maybe just steal food from the grocery store if you want to save money. Why do you think the rich stay rich? Borrow DVDs. It's so weak. Sorry, money bag. I'm going to cancel my Netflix and borrow DVDs. Hey, I'm going to need somebody to pick me up for work tomorrow. All right. I'm not saying you have to do all of these. I'm throwing out suggestions. Yeah, it's trimming the fat. Trimming the fat. Exactly. Don't worry about my fat. Now, apparently, you know when you go get a haircut, this is mainly for girls, and the stylist will say, all right, do you want me to blow dry your hair? And you usually say, sure. Or you say, no. Well, if you say no, then they should give you money back because the haircut cost includes a blow dry. Are you kidding me? That's what it says. I never knew that. And I always say no, and I never got money back. Weird.
Because I always say no because I don't want to paint when I blow dry. There's so much stuff in the world I had no idea about. I didn't know they did that with you. No. I think it depends on the place, though. Some places it's not included. Well, check it out now. Now you know to at least check it out. This is something that I do. I go to the supermarket and I get things like the sliced, pre-sliced vegetables and apples and stuff like that because it's so much easier. Really? It's also so much more expensive. It is? Mm-hmm. But it's like, you know, they have apples that come in a sealed bag and they're all pre-sliced. And I eat a lot more apples if they're just at my convenience ready to go. Yeah. I had no idea of that either. Really? There's a lot of things in the world I was just unaware of. You need to look at the, when you're at the grocery store. Go to the healthy area, Mike. But when you compare the prices, look at the unit price. Don't always look at, because sometimes it comes, one thing will come with like. 12 items, and then the similar thing will come with 8 in it, and you'll be like, oh, and the one in 8 obviously is a better deal, but if you look at the unit price... Really? I have no idea what she just said. Brain on breath. I don't either. I was like, what does that mean? You just need to check out the unit price. I was like, what? Take the square root and add a quotient of... So much work. A mole.
This is something that I've done and is actually really good. If you have a pair of heels or guys, like a nice pair of loafers or whatever you call them. Mikey's got some platforms. Platforms, yeah, stuff like that. We'll say the heel gets messed up or you scuff your shoes. Just take it to a shoe repair shop. They buff them out. They look brand new and they'll fix the heel if it's messed up. And it'll cost you like 15 bucks as opposed to buying a new pair of shoes. Oh, you don't throw them away? I know. I just recently found out about this too. Yeah, shoe places. Woodsy. Holy sneeze. Excuse me. Pardon me. They say that many health insurance plans will reimburse you partially if you have a gym membership. Really? Yes. Look into that also. You know what else you can do? What? You can go through your neighbor's garbage and pick out anything in there that maybe they didn't use. Now you're going overboard. Why? I mean, if you want to save money, what you do is you go through their garbage and you find stuff that maybe you can use. One man's garbage is another man's treasure. Jeez. Is that it? No, there's a couple more. Take turns hosting dinner parties once a week with friends. Instead of going out, it's nice to go with your friends. And it's their turn to cook. And then the next week, it's your turn. And then someone else. Yeah, yeah. I've always wanted to do that, but. You're married now. Get ready for dinner party hell. That's right. We're in. We're too lazy, I think. Would you throw a good dinner party? Just have your mom do it. Yeah, I would. Have my mom do it. It'd be awesome. No, I would. I'm a good hostess. I love the dinner party. Yeah.
You ready for a little Woods, Woods, Woods? Yeah. So ready. Favorite part of my day. Woodsy's got some sports for us. I love it so much. I like how subtle and understated it is. Absolutely. You know? I got an email from a guy that said that he was singing Woods, Woods, Woods all day long on Friday. All day. Do you think there'll ever be a day where we don't laugh at it? No. I don't think so. It's stuck in my head. Yeah. I don't think so. All right, turn it down a little bit. What's going on? All right, man. So we talked a little bit earlier about Team Canada beating the United States. Funnily enough, from a losing team, the tournament MVP was U.S. goalie Ryan Miller on how he feels. This is how he feels about losing. Cut three. Big game experience. Able to go treat any game like it's just another hockey game and enjoy the moment. Stings right now, but for the most part, pretty good.
Guy's money. Well, he is. I feel bad for him because he blew the winning goal. I mean, did he? Sidney Crosby scoring is not an anomaly. You know, it's not like you let one slide right through his legs. It came from, you know, center eyes or anything. I mean, he's a really good goalie. He's great. Hence, the tournament MVP. So, we were talking, you had teased, Mikey, a little bit about who is the NFL star that is not going to be offered a contract next season by his... team he's currently with now. He's not a Charger. He's not a Charger. The only one. Brett Favre. No. His name is Terrell Owens. I'm familiar with him. Terrell Owens. Really? Yeah. The Buffalo Bills are not going to be offering him a contract. They're done after a year. And he has tweeted, I would like to thank the great fans in Buffalo, Ralph Wilson, and the Bills organization for all their supports this past season. Whatever that means. I wonder if it's over. I hope so. You're not a fan, right, Lauren? No. Somewhere else. You know where we talked about a couple of weeks ago? I think they mentioned that they want him in Cincinnati. So can you imagine being Carson Palmer, and now on one side you have Ocho Cinco, and then you have Tio on the other? Didn't he say he was going to legally change his name to Ocho Uno or something? If he goes to Cincinnati, he said he would change his name to Ocho Uno. So Carson Palmer, they'll find him hanging in the locker room at some point, having to deal with those two guys. Like, he's going to lose his mind.
What would people think of Vincent Jackson on one side for the Chargers and T.O. on the other? Boy, so you hate him until he comes to your bunch. You know what I mean? No, I wouldn't like it. You wouldn't? No. Would you? Not for one season? No. Would you? It depends on if there's any vapor left in the tank. Guy's a talented person. Very. Not a Charger, though. Kind of an idiot. No? That would make you sick, CNN? It wouldn't make me sick, but I wouldn't be able to fully get behind him. See, for me, I'm used to it. I grew up a 49er fan. Yeah. So I dealt with it. And listen, as long as T.O. is scoring TDs. I dealt with it in Dallas, and the dude produced. Yeah. And he produced. He scores touchdowns. U.S. snowboarder Scotty Lago went on Jimmy Kimmel to talk about the big medal scandal. If you guys hadn't heard about it, he won a bronze medal and went out on the street, went partying with his friends. And he took a very salacious picture of a young lady. He had the medal around his neck. The young lady had the medal in her mouth on her knees. Have you heard about this? Yeah. It was a pretty controversial thing. This is about the picture and who the girl might be. Cut five. Now, tell us what happened. Now, this photograph that I didn't think was a big deal, I really didn't. I mean, in fact, I was expecting, you don't even have, there's not even a bong in your hand in this thing. There's no bong. Who is this woman, first of all? I don't have a knife up to anyone's neck.
I don't know. I don't know who it is. She's just a woman that was at this party? Yeah, yeah. Allegedly, I was talking to one of my friends, and he said that he was talking to Michael Feltz. And he said that Michael recognized the girl, and she said she was a reporter, and that she tried to make out with him. Really? For a photo. Wow. So you think maybe you've been set up there. What do you think of that? Backpedaling, backpedaling, backpedaling. But Sienna, what if? He could get away with it? No, no, no. What if that's what the chick did? I believe it. She's got an Olympic groupie or something. Well, she's an actual reporter. So she's got access. And her thing is, I know what I'll do. I'll get a crazy picture and then I'll, you know, have a story. She's a muck raker. There you go. A muck raker. What is that? She rakes muck. Someone that rakes up the muck. Oh, look at that. Stirs the pot. Stirs the pot. So what happened to Scotty is they... He left voluntarily, but it was kind of one of those things where they're like, yeah, you don't really want to be here anymore, do you? And they kind of pushed him out the door. Cut six is about him not being able to be at the closing ceremony.
Now, who told you that you were not allowed to be at the ceremonies, at the closing ceremonies? It was a USOC and USSA decision. So United States Olympic Committee and U.S. Snowboard Association. And did you get to say over this? It's really not that. Do you think this is that pretty good? At first, I was pretty emotional, you know. I was like, what? You know, like, this is ridiculous, you know. But, like, I kind of got my cool about it, you know. And, you know, it is what it is, you know. They're passing out condoms all over the place. Hundreds of thousands of them. Yeah, for God's sake. Seriously. I wonder if that's a deal. I wonder if he really was set up by a woman that was taking a picture to try to get him all a big story. And even if he wasn't, it wasn't that big a deal. They weren't naked. They were on the street. They were partying. They were having a good time. I mean, the Canadian women were smoking cigars and drinking on the ice after, and they still got to go to the closing ceremonies. Yeah. Ridiculous. I mean, it was... Yeah, no. I mean, I agree with Wiz. I don't think it was that big of a deal. No. No? Yeah, I don't either. I just wonder... if he was being set up. That's creepy. I'd believe it. Got a couple more stories. Jimmy Johnson won his second race in a row at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. Yeehaw. Very exciting. And I had to pull this audio because it really tickled me. Why? Jason Richardson plays for the Suns. And the Suns and the Spurs were playing. And there was a steal. And the time was running out. This would have been the game-tying layup.
He didn't want to lay it in, though. Guy wanted to dunk and show off. Cut four. Richardson ahead of the field. Goes up for the dunk. One hand. Bam. Misses. Game over. They lose the game. That's when you say there's no I in team. There's no I in team, sister. Yeah, he was trying to show off. That's Woods on sports. Dude, how do your teammates feel? I know. It was crazy. Oh, that is so brutal. I was really tickled. Reading it yesterday. That's pretty brutal. Oh, my. So our girl, Lauren, we talked about it earlier. She was at Sienna's wedding and there was a little tears, a little bit of tears. It was like a faucet. And all she saw was the flower girl walk down, which is Todd's daughter. Flower girl walked down the aisle. She's an angel. Yeah.
Lauren lost it. And you guys have never seen her before, huh? Did you know immediately that that was her? Oh, yeah. Yeah, she's really cute. I saw, I mean, I've heard you talking about it, and then I saw the program. Yeah. Woodsy actually cried more. I did not. I did not. A tear never rolled down, but my eyes did well up, and I might have had to wipe something away. I think that that did happen. See, I cried when my sisters gave their little speech. They're like my babies. I love them. It was pretty cool. They're so cute. My mini-me's. Hey, why did Johnny Depp, why was Johnny Depp on 48 Hours? What is that story? Oh! Is this the West Memphis Three deal? Yeah. Johnny Depp is really into the West Memphis Three, which there's a documentary about called the... Free the West Memphis Three, I think. Right, right, right. The three young men that were convicted of murder of three eight-year-old boys back in 1993. And Johnny Depp is convinced that they are innocent, especially one of the guys, Damien Eccles. Yeah, he said that they share the same feelings of being a freak or different as an adolescent.
And he's just telling everyone, basically, that they're innocent, they're innocent, they're innocent. Yeah, I think it's called Paradise Lost, the Robin Hood Hill Story, right? Yeah, it's about these three guys, the West Memphis Three, they were called. And it is, if you haven't seen that documentary, it is incredible. It's riveting. Riveting. It's a story about three, basically, kids that were convicted, not on any physical evidence, but... over the fact that they thought that they were devil-worshipping kids because they listened to Metallica. Right. Blame the music, for sure. They blame the music, and these kids got convicted. There's actually two documentaries about it, and it's a very interesting story, but I guess Johnny Depp is really taking it up as one of his causes. There are, I mean, it's star-studded, the people that are on board with these guys. Winona Ryder, Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Joe Strummer, Killing Joke, Eddie Vedder. All of these people are like, you got to get these kids out of there. I mean, it's absolutely ridiculous. So very cool story. I haven't seen it. Yeah, you need to. A big part of it was that they just didn't have very good defense. Yep. As they were going through the process, they just, they didn't really have very good defense. They didn't have a lot of money. They're poor kids. Yeah, they were using public defenders, that kind of deal. Yep. And you said Paradise Lost? Paradise Lost. Is the name of it? Is that like in reference to the Milton book? Probably.
And there's 874,000 people right now going, Milton wrote a book, and it's called Paradise Lost. I'm one of them. I've never read anything. But you know what? I have the Paradise Lost cliff notes. That's a true story. Yeah. That's a true story. There was another movie with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino. It referenced it. Keanu Reeves' name was John Milton. That was Devil's Advocate. It's a good movie. Brilliant movie. So this is a clip from the 48 hours that Johnny Depp is on. Oops. Oops, sorry, wait a minute. You've got to give me a second on it. The commercial? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They always have those commercials. I hate that. Now when you watch everything, you've got to... Everything. Everything. You watch YouTube videos now, you've got to watch commercials. I can't believe that. It's ridiculous. It's because we make money. Crime was horrific because of the victims and how innocent they were.
Eight-year-olds beaten to death might have been part of a satanic ritual. It was very much like the Salem Witch Trials. Once they zeroed in on Jesse, Jason, and Damien, they didn't have to look anywhere else. I firmly believe Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jesse Miskelley are totally innocent. That was Johnny Depp. That was Johnny Depp. Yeah. It's very interesting, too, the kid that was beaten to death, his adopted father has come out and said that. Those three guys, those three kids are innocent. Really? It is fascinating. I fully expect those dudes to walk out one day. It's a really, really crazy story. When did this happen? 1993. They're on their last appeal, I think, before they're put to death. Wow. That's why it's getting really heated. Yeah, it happened in West Memphis, Arkansas. And we may be able to work a few angles with that because we had one of the people that was featured on 48 Hours Live to Tell. We're going to have somebody else that was on that show. Nice. Fascinating show. It was right here in San Diego, the story that we're going to have them coming in and talking about their ordeal. Happened right here in San Diego. And we'll be doing that. 570-1949 is the number if you want to text us. The number is, the text is 949mikey at gmail.com. There was a Pennsylvania guy that died during the snowstorm. It's bad back there right now. Really, man? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And this dude apparently called 911, but nobody came to help. His girlfriend called. This is during the early mornings of February 6th. His girlfriend called 911 and said, look, my boyfriend has severe abdominal pain. We need to get someone over here right now. But we know the storm was crazy. Snow was falling. It's hard for them to get. The operator said help is on the way. Nearly 30 hours later. The man died in his home. Oh, my. She called 911 ten times. 911 called her four times. And there was at least a dozen calls between 911 and the paramedics. Curtis Mitchell was the man who died. He died at his house. And now Pittsburgh officials have ordered an investigation. Clearly so, because it's like really 30 hours he died later and no one got to him. So I guess twice the ambulances were close enough as close as a quarter mile from the guy's house. And they were saying, you know, you guys walk him out to us. We can't get to you. There's a big bridge. We can't get across this bridge. Then finally someone got over the bridge and they were.
the distance of a football field from the house and they were like we can't get to you you guys walk us out here but why couldn't they walk to them they're the healthy ones yeah so that's the question and get him and now public safety director um from pittsburgh is saying you know we failed this person oh update on uh well the latest we'll give you the latest uh that we know in the update uh for this case of um right here in san diego with chelsea king She's the missing Poway teenager. There has been an arrest, right, Sienna? Yes. 30-year-old John Gardner. And happened, they arrested him, held a press conference. It's the front page of the San Diego Union-Tribune today. And he is a registered sex offender, correct? Yep. And the other deal that they're talking about is that they also are saying that there may be a connection between him and the Amber Dubois case. Yeah, from a year ago. Mm-hmm. And so they are investigating that. And they have physical evidence. We don't know what it is yet. And a caller in M1 called earlier and said that someone that she knew had almost been abducted in December a couple months ago. And she called and she escaped. She kicked the guy and she called the police and reported this guy. And they did like a sketch of the man. And I guess it matches this John Gardner perfectly. Really? Yeah. Really glad this guy's on the street.
Oh, it's scary. I know. After that, what's he still doing? Just really glad, man. He's, you know, he, I think his, in his prior was lewd and lascivious behavior with somebody under the age of 14. So this is a guy we really want on the street. How did that happen? It always happens. People get, you know, they get released. Even if they do their sentences, people will get released. There is a website that you can go to. It's Watchdog, and you can put in your information, and you can see people that are registered sex offenders living near you. Try it. If you want to blow your mind, try it. It's scary. It's scary. You can see their pictures and their convictions and details. How close they live to you, too. It's so scary. Yeah, but it's good information. So police are still looking for her. The search is now nationwide. Keep your eyes open. Want to hear about the drinking, smoking chimp that was sent to rehab? Me too. We'll also let you call in on the list of things that you think should be banned. And we'll give you something to chew over as well. It's next on The Mikey Show. You're listening to The Mikey Show. And he is our producer. We're going to get to the banned list in a second. And it's not B-A-N-D. It's B-A-N-E-D. So it's what should be banned. It's actually B-A-N-N-E-D. Yeah. Well, I didn't spell check that. English major. That's right. Things that should be baned. Yeah. Things that should be baned. Yeah. Banned is so late.
570-1949 is the number, and 949mikey at gmail.com if you want to text him in. But first, I want to know about the chimp that was sent to rehab, the drinking and smoking chimpanzee. Oh, yes, chimpanzee, like as in at the zoo. Well, this was a chimpanzee that used to be in the circus, but one day he became a little too aggressive. His name is Zora. Sorry, that makes me laugh. Nice. So he became aggressive at the circus and was transferred to a zoo in southern Russia where he became a father to several little baby chimps. Sure he did. He also learned to draw with markers. But then he picked up two other vices. Let me tell you, Mike. Why were they giving him booze and smokes? He would pester the people at the zoo and they would give him this stuff. Like I've heard people going, hey, don't give bread to the birds. Hey, don't give vodka to the chimps. Don't give Marlboros to the chimpanzee. Again, this was at the zoo in Russia, and people would walk by and give beer and stuff to the chimps, cigarettes to the chimps. Genius. But they would have to light the cigarettes, right? Yeah. What if he lit himself on fire?
And so how did they discover, like, that he had a problem? Because he was showing up to work late? Like, what was the deal? They didn't say what it was. I guess, like, they would see that he was constantly doing it. I mean, I'm sure he got lazy. His girlfriend said that he would fall asleep on phone calls. Classic. I mean, are we really talking about this? Like, this is in the news. An alcoholic chimp. So he has now been transferred to the city of Kazan, which is right by Moscow. And he's in... A rehab center getting treatment for his smoking and drinking addiction. Yeah, he's the one chimp in the chimpanzee rehab. He's behind bars already. Just stop giving it to him. What's happening? Do you really have to send him to rehab? Everyone goes to rehab. Yeah. He'll come back. He'll be on the cover of People Magazine going, sorry. Right. My bad. Monkey had to go to rehab. Well, he can now write with markers, so he'll release a statement soon. I wonder how his public apology will be. I thought it would be better than Tiger's. No, that's right. Chris, my dad, and Woodsy will think that it was an insincere chimpanzee apology. Yes. There's no doubt about it. He will not like the chimpanzee apology. Maybe he'll cry. A couple of items on the banned list.
Okay. Things that should be banned. Never seen this in my life. Already think it should be banned. Dog strollers. I've seen them. I mean, we've got five dogs. Put them on a leash. We don't have any strollers. Walk them. Well, we do, but it's kind of a pain in the ass after a while. Don't get four dogs then. They make strollers for them though? Ridiculous. I guess. We don't have them. We have little bags for them. They have four legs. They're meant to walk. Yeah, dude, if you have a stroller for your dog, you should be in chimpanzee rehab. There's no doubt. I've seen them, like, on the back of bikes, like people that ride bikes, and the dogs are like... That's cute. That makes sense. That's for babies. Yeah, why don't you walk them? I know. The Bedazzler. Oh, I love the Bedazzler. Do you? You like it? Who doesn't like it? Have you ever bedazzled anything? I have. You have? Not recently. But you like it? No, when you were six. Well, I would bedazzle things now. I just had a bachelorette party and we had shirts made. I could have used a few gemstones. It's a chick thing, right? Guys never... Do you ever have one, Lauren? Some dudes do. I don't think Lauren would bedazzle anything. Some dudes wear bedazzled shirts and whatnot. That's true. We've seen them. We've seen them out. Guys that dye their hair should be banned. Now, this is a list that we get. We'll get these from listeners. You will text us. You will email us.
M1 Sanjaya, what should be on the banned list? People that wear socks with their flip-flops. Unless you're Mr. Miyagi, don't do it. Would not be done. Would you add on that? 100%. 100%. Don't like the socks with the flip-flops? No, never. Get some moccasins. Just get some moccasins. It'll save you that problem. I think it looks relaxed. It's so hard to get the little tongue in between your two toes when you have socks on. It's so crammed. Graphic tees? 100%. Explain. What are graphic tees? Banned. Banned. Banned. They have to be banned. T-shirts that have skulls. T-shirts that have, you know, the dragons. Woods loves the dragon. I have a big problem with. I think I just have a big problem with any T-shirts with. Giant words or like giant dragons like carrying a dead rabbit on them. You know, like the bald eagle holding claws, clutching the dead rabbit. But it looks fierce. Does it? No. I like them. Do you? I do. I think that maybe the time has passed, but I do like them. Like, I don't know. Do I want to mention the brand? Affliction. Affliction. I mean, isn't it tired now? Head hearty. I think it's over. I think it should be.
Do you? I don't know what Affliction is. I mean, I know what. They're like $200 t-shirts. I know. That's the funny part, man. Skunk stripe in girls' hair. That was mine. I put that in there. You guys know what I'm talking about? No. The girl with like the dark hair, but she has like the one like skunk stripe. I saw a girl when we were at the Ocean Air that had one. And that was like, oh my gosh. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. Is it dyed blonde? It's dyed blonde. It's like lacking any color pigment. It's just like white. Really? Yeah. It's really weird. I don't know that I've seen it. It's really weird. I've seen like the really dramatic highlights a lot. Like it's like one stripe though. It's really weird. I'll find it. I'll find you a picture. I don't want it. I have one that isn't here, but it was mentioned by Lauren the other day. And it was the, we were having this conversation off the air about how Lauren doesn't like it when people put deer. Such and such. Oh, yes. On their Facebook status. I think it's clever. Oh, my gosh. Give us an example. Yeah, I need an example. Oh, okay. Dear Term Paper, please finish writing yourself so I can finish watching American Idol. I love it. Thank you. I'm all in. Samantha, it's clever. I'm all in. Oh, my God. And she hates it. So overused. That's funny. It's pretty overused. Dear Sunshine. Yeah.
Please come out today so I can enjoy a day in the park. Thank you, Matthew. You said something similar, though, and I laughed out loud. I thought it was funny. You said, like, oh, hello, Nap. I wasn't expecting you today. I love it. And you did the same thing. I guess it's the salutation at the beginning. The dear. I guess hello is the salutation. Yes. Dear San Diego, when will the sun come back out again? I know. I miss you. Yeah. Mikey. I think more band, I just thought of this, is I hate when girls wear like the white, maybe a white feet or a tank top or something, and they have a dark bra underneath. Oh, it drives me nuts. I think it's hot. You would. Oh, Woodsy. That is straight out of Arkansas right there, buddy. I don't care. I've noticed it. It doesn't bother me. If you see a bra under a white tank top. Like a bright pink bra or some girls wear them. Black. The black is the worst. The black bras do not go under anything white. It's a thing right now, right? You see it. I just say don't wear one. There you go. Of course. There you go, Jay. Weird. M1 Hector. M1 Hector, what should be banned? Okay, leaving the stickers on your new air hatch. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Leaving the sticker underneath your baseball cap, right? Where it says the price. Is that the deal? It's that silver sticker, right? Yeah. Shimmery. The shimmery one.
I had a buddy that told me, you do it on events so people know it's original, so they know it's legit. It's the real thing. Like anybody's questioning the validity of people's hats. Yeah, right? Is that original Padres? Yeah. Oh, is that a knockoff? Get out of your knockoff. Does it say Dodres on it? The Dodres. Which is what my mom would have got me when I was a kid, by the way. Madres. Yeah, Ocean Pacific. Those are great OTs, dude. Those are great OTs. Nice. Really nice shorts, bro. M1 Maiden fan. What's up, Mikey? Good morning. Good morning, bro. Don't be banning any of my Maiden t-shirts, man. Never. Never. Don't ban the Maiden. Nothing wrong with Iron Maiden t-shirts, dude. Mikey, nice to hear you on the radio again, brother. Thank you, dude. Thank you very much. Lauren, did you just say what's Maiden? What's a Maiden t-shirt? Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden the band? That is correct. Iron Maiden the guitarist. I don't know. You guys are talking affliction, asphyxiation. Iron Maiden, the old tool that they used to use to torture people back in the 1400s. That's right. He said Maiden before he said Iron Maiden. Everybody knows what Maiden is. It could very well be a band. It is a band. Not a band, a brand. That's right. M1 Dash? I think Smart Cars and John Gardner. Smart Cars. Where are we with Smart Cars?
They're clever. The little tiny car? You know, you could park anywhere. I want Lauren's take. Smart cars on the freeway, all that goes on in my head is... You think about 18 Shriners are going to come pouring out of them, right? My wife, Jamie, will actually, every time we see one of those, we'll go, what does she do? What does she do? Something like... It's like that, something like that, some little noise that she makes for like a little clown noise. Yeah, they get 400. No, neat, neat. That's what she does. Neat, neat. They get 400 miles to the gallon. I would want that if I lived in like San Francisco. Yeah, right? And you plug them in too. Or New York or like somewhere where you have a big parking problem, Chicago, you know. Maybe they live downtown. M1 Saxman says, girls who wear leggings as pants. I'm doing it right now. I like it. I do it all the time. I'm in on it. I don't have a problem with the leggings as pants. You can have a problem, and I'll still wear them. That's right. Let's see. 570-1949 or 949Mikey at gmail.com. I think I know what he means now, though. Some girls, like, I wear them with, like, a dress, the leggings. Some girls wear, like, a T-shirt or something. So, like, these leggings that I'm wearing.
It would show my entire butt, and I'm just wearing leggings. That's weird. That's a little bit weird to me. Okay, I get what you're saying. They use them just as pants, and they wear a regular shirt. Like, I use them under a dress. Right. I think that's fine. I use them as regular pants. Your leggings? Yeah. When you go to your gymnastics. Yeah. That's right. My leggings have leopard print on them. I like leggings, though, in general. Mine have Tabasco bottles on them. That should be on there. Tabasco ties, if they're not banned already. 100% Michael Shannon used to wear a Tabasco tie. You got that right, buddy. You got that right. Do you guys remember Tabasco ties? No, yeah. Sienna has no idea. They still make the boxers and the pajama pants with Tabasco on them. I'm like, who are the big Tabasco fanatics? They're like, gotta have it. I am. Have you seen my Miracle Whip tie? I haven't seen it in forever. No, honey, but I've got your French's mustard tie if you want it. Who the hell decided to put condiments on ties? Babe, how many times did I have to tell you to get my Wonder Bread tie back from being pregnant? Because I'm freaking out. This guy messed it all up. If there was a shirt and it had Tapatio on it, I would wear it. I don't know what that means. Tapatio is a hot sauce. Frank's red hot sauce, I would wear it. Cholula? Cholula is delicious. Not as good as Tapatio. See, I'm kind of like that. I'm kind of like that with...
You know, because people will have their thing. Everybody's entitled to their thing. I'm not a big fan. Like, when I'm going, the one time that we went to Disneyland, and I see the big, like, you know, T-shirts with Goofy's face, you know, on the front of it. I say, hey, you know, okay, it's cool, but, you know, I don't know. You're at Disneyland. I know it. That's the only time it's okay. Listen, I know. I'm just saying, Lauren. I just thought of another thing that should be banned because it drives me crazy. Things that just say, like a t-shirt that just says in big letters either the name of the brand or the name of the store. Just for the sake of being like, this is a juicy t-shirt. You don't like that? What's the point? They're like Tommy. You shouldn't be buying things just because they're made by a certain brand. You should be buying them because you like them. Because they're organic. What if it was a brand that you'd never heard of? Oh, have you seen my wardrobe? But see, then it's okay. What if it said something on it, it was a brand, but you'd never heard of the brand? I wouldn't. That means nothing to me. I would never purchase that. But what if, would it bother you? Yeah. It would. What's the point of words across the front of a shirt that if it's not saying something clever or like the name of a band or something? Because the brand says something about you. Oh, yeah? Yeah. Yeah. What if it's... Your hip. Yeah. What if the brand says Tommy Bahama?
Which I have one of, by the way. More than one. I do not. I have one Tommy Bahama. Does it say Tommy Bahama across the front? No. Just so everybody knows that that's not a knockoff. This is a real Tommy Bahama. Some people really dig the Bahamas. Well, I'll tell you what. My mom, when she used to try to pass the polo chaps off, because I wanted the horse. Yeah. I wanted the horse. Yeah. I wanted the horse. I wanted the horse. I wanted the alligator. For Lacan. You didn't get the outlet. No, I had some dude, and he wasn't playing polo. He was shooting pool. It wasn't Ralph Lauren. It was a stick figure shooting pool. Yeah, that's what I got. Yeah, Mom, don't worry about it. It's the same thing. Go ahead and get me a chalk guy shooting pool. Because when I go to school, that's going to look just like that little dude on a horse playing polo. Yeah, great. I'm going to get the crap kicked out of me now. See, though? That's a problem. I got a billiard shirt on. Hey, Mom, you know what? Me not having a little green alligator and having that little brown koala is the total same thing. It's the same thing. It's the same thing. My friends are going to think it's just as cool. Yeah, just as cool.
I think it's okay if it says the brand across because if it makes you feel good, then, you know, you should wear it. Like some women, lots of women have like the coach bags that have C's all over them. It clearly is for coach, but it makes them feel good. And I have sunglasses that have like, you know, the designer on them. It incidentally has it on there, but you're not out there looking for. I need it to say coach across my sunglasses or I'm not wearing them. Yeah, but maybe they weren't looking for it specifically. Maybe they were just like, oh, this is a cute shirt. Hey, Sienna, you don't have any boots that say rugs across the back of them, okay? You got the real deal. I got the Uggs. You don't have the rugs. I don't mess around when it comes to my Uggs, okay? You know what I mean? 570-1949. M1 Lauren? Yes. Go ahead. Ugg boots with short skirts. I love it. It's sexy. It's the worst thing ever. It is? We're going to hear that forever. Listen, the only people, Lauren, that call in and say that are girls. For whatever reason, it's women that say it. Emma and Lauren, guys tend to like the short skirts and the Uggs. Our Lauren. What do you think? I'm not a fan. You're not a fan? It's a woman thing. Doesn't bother me. I like it. I think it's true.
I think it looks sexy. I think Jay's out on it. I'm out. If the weather is that you can be wearing a short skirt, it also shouldn't be the weather that you can wear legs in. Fair enough. Yeah. Fair enough. Yeah, your feet are all sweaty and smelly in there. Yeah. Wear some socks. How do you know they're not wearing socks, Jay? Because they're wearing a short skirt. Because they're wearing Uggs. Do you wear socks inside your Uggs? Yeah. Don't lie to me. I do every single time. She wears those little slip-on fake, like, they look like panties. I wear them with my moccasins, too. Oh, wow. She just showed us. Emma and Lauren, are you there still? Yes, I am. Now, tell me what it is about the Uggs with the skirts that you don't like. It's just, it doesn't make sense. Like, aren't your legs cold? You don't think it's sexy? No, I don't think it's sexy at all. I think it looks dumb. Those are the girls that wear the shirts with the skulls on the front. The skirts with the skulls? No. What did you say? The shirts with the skulls. Okay, that's dudes that, oh yeah, yeah, yeah. You don't dig that. You don't dig that. See, with me, it's just...
Not necessarily, oh, I think I look really cute. And I don't do the skirts with the Uggs, really. I always have tights on. But I don't know. I just think it's comfortable. Yeah? I do it for the comfort, not the style reason. Wear what you dig, unless it's a graphic tee. What is your t-shirt today, Woods? That's a banned t-shirt. Lemonheads? The Lemonheads. M1 Winder? Yep. What do you think? Johnny! What's up, guys? What up? What should we ban? Well, Lauren just stole mine. I thought Uggs and Daisy Dukes. But there's one other thing that should be banned. What? The word that's because Lizzie says it every word. What's he? I can't say anything. No, in one Lizzie, every word out of my mouth is that's, that's. His girlfriend, Liz. Yeah. Everything she says after he says something is that's. She says that's. My boyfriend does the same thing. Yes! Same thing. I've even checked out on the that's because I felt like it was getting a little overused. We need to save it for the really, really good ones. You got to save it for the good ones. Or else you can. You can do it at the end of every sentence. Right. She wakes up in her sleep saying it. Sorry, Johnny. I'm telling you. M1 Mika. Mika, are you there? We lost Mika. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. Did I tell you about the two dudes in Georgia?
They went into Domino's. They were looking for money. All right. They were trying to rob the Domino's. They wanted money. The delivery guy. Yeah, the Domino's delivery guy. Yeah. They wanted to rob him for money, but couldn't get any money out of him. No. So what happened? Well, these guys had a gun, a chrome pistol, held it up to the delivery man who was just 19 years old delivering some pizzas. And he said, give it up. Mm-hmm. The guy said, I don't have any cash. These aren't even pizzas. These are just wings. And they were like, give me the wings. And they left with $36 worth of hot wings. Are you serious? Quite a score. They took wings instead of money. In lieu of money. That's fantastic. When I was a Domino's pizza driver, I was 18 years old. I was almost robbed. Really? The guys realized that it was me. And they were like, Mike? And I go, yeah. And they were like, dude, we were just going to rob you. Like your buddies? Well, it wasn't my buddies, but they knew me. You know, they knew me from school. No way. They, like, told you? Yeah, I was, like, shaking. You were kidding. I was going to get robbed. And they were like, Mike? And I go, yeah. And they were like, oh, dude, sorry. We were going to rob. And they said, we're going to rob you. Wow. Perfect.
Thanks, guys. All right, well, I'll see you later. See you Monday. See you in algebra. It's the creepiest thing ever. Did you ever, like, tell on them? No, are you kidding? Guy's not a rat, dude. Guy's not a rat. One thing you don't do, you don't rat. Oh, man, that's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. It was super, super scary. What is the grocery store thing, Sienna? You were talking about how you had this thing where it's like a map. No, it's not really a map. They're just kind of telling you the little ins and outs of grocery store savings. What do you mean? Like sale items. They strategically place them at the end of the aisle so that you have to walk through an entire aisle to get to the sale items. End caps. Why don't you just take it from right there? They always have a bag of Tostitos sitting right there at the end of the aisle. You just grab it. Yeah, but then they say, but they also put more stuff in the back. So if you're searching for like a specific item on sale with a coupon or something. Right. Then it's in the back. Okay. But I don't think so. Like even right when you walk in, they have like the cutie little oranges out and all the fruit. Yeah. Yeah. I don't get it. Yeah. Well, that's what they're saying. They say beware of pricey payers. Sometimes they match up two or more grossly items that fit together so that you have to buy both. Yeah.
Stuff like that. Search high and low. Shelf positioning is an important factor. I mean, they're just little grocery store things that we all probably know. Hey, you're going to love this. There was a guest from the USGS because the big earthquake happened in Chile, right? Right. So this happened. The earthquake was on Saturday morning. It was an early Saturday morning. Friday night. Friday night, Saturday morning for us. I guess that Geraldo is wanting to interview one of these guys from the USGS, right? Dude doesn't realize he's on the air. And apparently he's kind of pissed because he's been waiting so long to get on the air. So Geraldo goes to him and the guy's mad and doesn't realize that he's on the air. Greatness. I have the audio next. It's fantastic. This is the new home of The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. For over 70 years now, Geico has been helping people save money on their car insurance. My alarm is set to FM 94.9, and when I hear the opening song, I know it's time to wake up. Nice. Thanks for keeping me on time. That's M1MorganM. Thank you, Morgan. We appreciate that. I hope the rain is done soon. I don't like it. I'm done. Dear Cumulus Clouds, please stop producing rain. That's right. Love, Mikey. I would put that as my status. You should. I think it's clever. I like the rain. Really? Yeah, it was fitting that it rained on my wedding day because I like the rain. Yeah. I feel bad for Woodsy because Woodsy got out here from Texas, just moved to San Diego, thought he was going to get a bunch of beautiful sunshine. Even joined a baseball league, which he's been rained out two days or two weeks in a row in San Diego. I've heard nothing but like just it's perfect, perfect, perfect all the time. And most of the time it is. It's pretty perfect. But the weekends, this driving rain has really been bad for the kids' baseball career. Dude.
It's so weird. Career. I can hear myself getting fatter. Let's see. Okay, so you want to hear this Geraldo thing? Yes. This is pretty funny. So it's a dude from the USGS, which is, they're the department for the government that measures how big earthquakes are. Geraldo's going to have this dude on the line. This guy has probably done, this is probably the first interview this guy's ever had in his life. And apparently he was on hold too long, and he didn't like it. Jason Mitchell, thank you very much, Global Radio News. Walter Mooney, a USGS geophysicist, joins us now from San Francisco. Walter, thank you for being here. I don't know if you guys can hear me, but I can't just sit on the phone for this. Oh, I think our audience just heard that. Who is this on the phone now? This is Dale Grant at the USGS. Oh, hi, Dale. I thought it was your colleague, Walter, but thank you. We're live on television. Millions of people now can hear your impatience, but thank you for being with us. Tell us why the... It's time money, bro, over at the USGS. Time equals money, dude. Is that what the deal is? I didn't think it was that bad. That's pretty funny. I think it's funny. For a USGS guy. He's a physicist.
Take it easy, bro. Easy, Captain. Easy, dude. I'm kind of a big deal, you know. Hey, I just can't sit here and wait on the line all day long. Geophysicist joins us now from San Francisco. Walter, thank you for being here. I don't know if you guys can hear me, but I can't just sit on the phone for this. Oh, how are you? Yes, Lauren. What do you think? Mike Esparza. Yes. If you had to call into a show. Yeah. You're a little impatient. Yeah. If you had to wait on the line for, say, half an hour. No way would I do that. No way in the world. I would. I wouldn't go. I can't just sit here all day. Really big time. Really big time. Hey, why don't you take the Kanye glasses off USGS, dude? Why don't you take off your giant mirrored glasses and just calm down a little bit?
Greatness. We'll make sure that we got all the M&Ms picked out backstage for you, bro. Your bottle of SoCo's back there. Yeah, your bottle of SoCo. We'll make sure that all the rose petals are taken out of your toilet back there. Look, I'm Nancy Nobody. And when I call like credit card companies or Verizon or something like that, and they put me through to eight different people, by the time I get to that eighth person and I've been on hold. Me too. But you're a customer. Me too. How about the times that you've done an interview with Geraldo? Yeah. Have you gotten frustrated? I don't know. I'm listening. I'm like, really, dude? You know what I do when I'm calling the credit card companies and things like that? I just put it on speakerphone and just keep doing what I'm doing. I'm folding clothes on speakerphone and I'm like, I tune it out. Oh, I take a vacation to Big Bear, come back. Yeah, come back. You know what I mean? I go whitewater rafting in Montana. Yep. I've done that and forgotten that that was there. I've just got to listen to the music and all of a sudden they come back to me. I'm like, oh, what? What did I meet? Who are you? Where are you coming from? You ever forgot what it is? No, that's probably just me. No, I do. I call people and forget who I'm calling. And I have to like, they say hello. And I'm like, and I look at my screen. Who am I calling? I would have never admitted that, but I do that too. I do it all the time. You guys do that? Yeah, and then I delay. I'm like, yeah, I'm.
calling about, and I'm like, what am I calling about? Who am I calling? You're like, oh, what's up, Mom? I do that. Yeah. I do that where I can't remember who it is. Yep. And I have to, yeah, and it's really embarrassing when you call them, Mom. 570-1949-949-mikey at gmail.com is how you get a hold of us. We're going to be playing the movie quotes game coming up. Chance for you to win a six-pack of CDs, so we'll be doing that in just a minute. Yeah. In fact, I think we could do it. Right, Jay? Can we do it? Are we ready or no? You tell me. Are these going to be movies that are in my generation? I think you're going to do fine. Talking about my generation. The age bit. You'll be great. You guys. We're ready to go. Listen, Sienna, I know you're going to kill it. Okay. All right. All right. I'm going to turn that frown upside down, and I'm going to be a trooper. 570-1949. You're going to call right now to win a six-pack of CDs. You're going to either pick Sienna, Woods, or Lauren. You're going to pick a horse. And you're going to be betting that they're going to win the movie game. What we're going to do is we're going to play you a clip. We're going to play the three of them. A clip from a movie. All they have to do is guess it. If they guess the right movie, you win. Just the movie, right? Not the character? Yeah, you just have to say the name of the movie. Now, here's the problem. If you get it wrong, we deduct a point.
All right. Who's keeping score? You going to keep dropping? I have it. You have it? Oh, okay. You guys, Sienna? All right. I'm the official scorekeeper. That's what I'm good for. Sienna, I'm looking at the movies I think you're good for. Okay. I'm going to stand up if everyone else is standing up. Oh, we have to. Competitive group. They're all standing right now. Like, Woods is pacing. Woods is pacing. He's ready to tear this thing up. Let's see. M1, John. John, who do you want to pick? I'm going to go with Woodsy. You're going with Woodsy. All right, hang on the line, will you? All right, it's a music six-pack up for grabs. That's what you're calling in for right now. M1 Ted, are you there? Yeah. Who do you want? Sienna. Hang on the line. My boy. I would just like to say to these M1s that I have won the last.
True games. That is true. Yet I consistently get picked last. Can I just tell you what Woods just did? Well, hang on, Woodship. You get Lauren, Woodship. Hang on. You get Lauren. What happened? Lucky you. M1 Ted calls and says that he wants to be partnered up with me, so I write down M1 Ted so I can make sure and remember. And Wood says to me, M1 John, who's his partner, for me to write it down for him. Did you or did you not just say you're the official scorekeeper? I'm the scorekeeper. I'm not your little personal assistant. I need a coffee, too. Stop it. You guys are going to freak out when we get into this. Good luck, M1 John and M1 Ted. That's right. Those names sound made up. Woodchip has Lauren. Woodchip's my man. All right. You guys ready? Here we go. Here we go. Stop me when you know it and say your name. Here we go. I am McLovin. Super bad. You didn't wait. Deductive point. Can't wait. You can't wait. You have to wait. I nailed it. You have to say, did you say your name? Yes. We all said our names. But I said mine first. According to you. Did Mikey call on you? He doesn't have to. Yes, he does. No, he doesn't. Absolutely. Mikey has to give you the nod. That means we deduct a point. No, wait. These are the rules. Every game this happens and you miss out. I'll beat you clowns anyway. Here we go. You ready?
The city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportion. Real rap of God type stuff. Woods. Ghostbusters. You got it. Now we're all at zero again. That's right. Even though I've gotten two right, that makes sense. You ready? Next. Here we go. Sienna. Oh, man. I just froze. Woods. Six cents. That's right. Woods, you got it. That's negative one for you, my dear. Oh, my gosh. They're freaking out. We need an official judge. Here we go. We have one. Mikey. Gentlemen. My lady. You will always remember this is the day that you almost caught. Lauren. Oh. Lauren. Sienna. It's Johnny Depp said that and it's Pirates of the Caribbean. That's it. Pirates of the Caribbean is correct. Now I'm at zero. Lauren's at negative one. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I love Sienna. Look at Woods is now editing Sienna's. She doesn't know math.
Why are you being so mean to me? What have I done to you? It's like she was on a trampoline. She was jumping five feet in the air. She was so excited. You're welcome webcam. I don't have sports bra on. All right. You guys ready? How many do we have? We have 15. Yeah, we got a few. Here we go. But they don't belong in the newsroom. It is Anchorman. Lauren? Anchorman. That is correct. Very good. So, Lauren's at zero. Woods has one. I have zero. Here we go. You're going to need a bigger boat. Lauren. Lauren. Jaws. Yes. Pretty good. Jaws is on every single game we play. I know. Seriously. Well done. Okay, Woods and Lauren both have one. I have zero. Here we go. I still love you. Lauren. Lauren. Terminator. Really? Really? I'm telling you, I got to call it like I see it. Here we go. This is going to be fun. We can see it late. See it up. Shrek. I knew I would get that one. Sienna's going to get every animated movie in the history of mankind. Here we go. Mr. Webb. Woods. Caddyshack. Wow. Holy cow. Wow. I even watched a whole thing on Caddyshack yesterday. Okay, the score is two to two. Lauren and Woods, I have one. You ready? So how do you guys feel about each other? Oh, my gosh. Sienna! That was nice to say. That was nice to say. Oh, my God.
You've got to go on the webcam. You have to go on the webcam. Go to MikeyShow.com right now. You guys told me to stand up. I'm telling you. So I jump. Flipping out. This is even. I can never even compete with you guys in this stuff. And I did it. Shrek and Bella Wednesday. It's a tie. It's a three-way tie. Here we go. Woodsy is about to lose his mind. Here we go. Looks like I picked the wrong week. Woods. Airplane. That is correct. All right. I don't like the hesitation. I know. Here we go. Excuse me. Sienna. Ace Ventura. Oh, my God. I can't not jump. Here we go. I can't. There's only three left. Lauren. Lauren. Billy Madison. Oh, no. Sienna. What? Gilmore. Yes. Oh, dude. I blew it. I blew it. All right. I blew it. Darn you. That's... Lauren minus one. We only have two more. Will that make it... All right, right now, can I just say something? Yeah. Woods and I are tied right now at three, and Lauren has won. I'm going to be the big spoiler. Here we go. Woods, Talladega Nights. That is correct. Every time Woods gets... I jump, and Woods does that. What's this called? He does it. Shooter McGavin. Shooter McGavin. Shooter McGavin. Shooter McGavin. There's only one left. There we go. By the way, I realize that I have a large mole on my face. Sienna, I'm just going to go with it. Revenge of the Nerds. Lauren.
Warren? Mike Myers. What is that? I win. There you go, M1 John. What is that movie called? I've never seen it. Austin Powers? That is right, but Woodsy wins. Woodsy has won for M1 John. John, are you there? Yeah, for sure, man. Kid tore it up for you. The kid tore it up for you. I'm sorry, M1 Woodchip. I even jumped and everything. Hang on the line. Congratulations, my friend. I played it very calm today. That was his version of calm. Yeah. That's as calm as he gets. Fantastic. I blew it. I blew it. You know, I'm telling you, I'd be the worst at that game. I'd be the worst. I haven't seen half of those. Happy Gilmore. I've never seen any of those. If you didn't do that, I could have won with Happy Gilmore, Mike. I just want to point that out. I know. I know you would have won probably, Sienna.

When we even met with the band, we had a little conference call and I suggested they play the song. I'm not sure if they did. I think it's played at every wedding. Love it. You know why? Because people like it. Because it's a good song. It's a good song. If you're at Tejano Station, you should probably still be playing this. You know what I mean? Yeah. Okay, so what are the rules of tipping? Well, this sheet that I have tells you... the suggested tip amount with who you're dealing with. Like if you're at a gas station and you're driving through and someone helps you, which no one does in San Diego, but if you are there, maybe in another state, the suggested tipping amount is nothing. Okay. Well, that makes sense. Uh-huh. A shampoo person. A lot of times when you go to the nicer salons, you go get a haircut. There's a different person that shampoos your hair. You have to give them like a $2 tip. We kind of talked about that. I can't believe that. I know you'd think that the main stylist would give him a piece of the action. They would tip out. That'd be like giving a busboy a tip and being like, nice work. Yeah. You know? Yeah. I don't know. Is that it? No, there's more the doorman. Yeah. He gets a dollar per bag at a hotel. Yeah. Skycaps. I didn't know what skycaps are. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like when you go to Southwest and you're checking in on the curb. Uh-huh, they're checking in the bags. That's the best way. Yeah, they are a dollar per bag. That's it?
I think I'm throwing five each. Well, they say, they specifically say don't skimp on the tips here. Don't ever skimp on a tip to anybody. But sometimes you don't know. Well, I'll tell you this. If you tip those Sky Cab guys, you know, like a five, your bags are going to get there. 100%. They're getting there. Those guys will take extra care of you. Don't ever skimp on a tip. If you don't know, over tip. Yeah. It's like being overdressed and underdressed. Always better to be overdressed. Like when you're picking up food to go. That one gets me every time. You're like, did it to go? I don't know. I do like 10%. I've got a sandwich and the receipt says tip with a line. I'm like, man, I've got to put something in here. I know. You get shamed. I think you should. I do too. I can't put the slash through the tip. I know. I feel like an awful person. Oh, yeah. It's bad. Lauren has no problem putting the slash. Lauren, really? Look. The reason that it's there is because it's a full-service restaurant, so sometimes there's to-go and sometimes there's wait service, so they just have it programmed to print out that way. It's a psychological thing. Not all places, though, because I go to this one place regularly to get sandwiches, and I always get them to go, and there's always the tip spot. I wish I had your courage, because you can do it. You can pull it off. I've been in the service industry. Sometimes if I just ring up an order, take a phone call, push a button, we do an easy transaction. Yeah.
I'm not expecting anything. I don't know. It's always nice, but it's not necessary. Yeah. Always over tip. Yeah, for sure. If you go to a coffee shop, this little random coffee shop, there's a tip jar. What do you do? You always put a dollar. One dollar. I always put a dollar. One dollar. You don't have to do anything. What? But when it's just a tip jar, and it's like staring you in the face, it's like, give me a tip, give me a tip. There's like stars and highlights and sprinkles pouring out of it. Listen, what it should say is put a dollar in here or you're a monster. You're El Cheapo. Well, it says you don't need to do it. No, you do it. But that's why, you know, their job is to serve you coffee, right? They're not like running around refilling it for you or anything. If the tip jar is there and you don't put anything in it, it doesn't matter where you are. You're a monster. I'm going to put a tip jar right next to this microphone. And anytime we have a guest in, I'll be like. How great would that be? My tip jar is right here. The tip jar. That's great. Bartenders. What do you tip a bartender? Dollar a drink? A little more. A dollar a drink? A dollar a beer. That doesn't seem right to you? What do you think it should be? I would think that you would tip.
Two dollars. One drink? Yeah. You're an over-tipper. Mike, for a beer? What are you guys, Milton Berle? Is this 1940? I know. Seriously. Yeah, you give two wooden nickels. Okay, so if a beer costs five dollars and you give 20 percent, that's a dollar. No, I wouldn't give 20. It says 15. A mixed drink seems different than a beer. It is. It's more work than popping a beer tab. So if I got a dollar, because I was a bartender. Yeah. If I got a dollar on a beer, that was great. And then if I had to make this clown four or five shots. A pina colada. Or a pina colada. Oh, dude. The frozen drinks. You better be tipping me a fin. A five. A five? Yeah. If it's a beer, come on. Lauren, if it's a beer a dollar, if it's a mixed drink, two dollars. No. No? What would you do? Chefs don't get more money for more complicated dishes. Chefs make more money than $2 an hour, though. Chefs don't work on tips. Yeah, but how many drinks transactions are you having within an hour if you're a bartender? Me? A lot. And I'm fascinated because... You're a bartender. I'm fascinated because Lauren just came from doing this at the belly up. They're like, shut up, Lauren. Shut up, Lauren. Right? I mean, that's the fascinating take on it. She says, hey, listen, that's the way it is, right? I mean, you were... I don't...
I think it's almost too intimidating to tell someone they've got to do that. Then it's like, you know, you're not going to ever order a mixed drink or you're going to be shamed out of even, you know, going to a place like that. How much do you tip on a mixed drink? I don't drink mixed drinks. Okay, what if you did? I drink, sorry. What if you were getting somebody a screwdriver? Dollar. A dollar. Absolutely. Monster. Jay, you too? Absolutely. Yeah. I mean, really? Oh, I got to. Mix a little Jack Daniels and Coke. Whoa. Hey, I'm sorry. Give me a break. I agree with your dollar, two dollar thing. Because, I mean, if you think about it, the more work that goes in, the bigger the tip should be. Thank you, bartender. It's so wonderful for you to make me this delicious cosmopolitan. And so, as a show of gratitude, I'm going to give you one, well, actually, four quarters. One.
Here's two from my change quest. Here's three, and finally the fourth. There you go. You guys might as well take the Sesame Street count with you as you count out your four. One, two, three. Yeah. Classic. Come on. I just think... You have to do the dollars because you can't pull out the change. Like, imagine if there was, like, a couple dimes up there. Like, really? Do people do that? Yeah. I think it's a dollar and the change. They do. That's what I used to leave. If there was any change, yeah. Yeah, that's true. Restaurant servers, what is it now? 25. 25? No. Yeah. No way. I'd tip 20 to 25. What, do you do 25? Yeah, for sure. I was a bartender. I was a waiter. You just shamed you. Not shame. Guilt. Now I feel like I'm a terrible person. You are. I do 20. You're not. It's not terrible. Mikey, you're above average. I'm telling you, Woodsy is a good tipper. He really is. I really know that about him. I am. But I feel like you, you know, like I thought that 20 was really good. It's good. It's not really good. It's not. It's good. I'm not doing it anymore.
I'm doing 25 if that's the deal. Well, if you get exceptional service, then go over 20%. I tip the same whether I'm served well or not. See, that's... 20 is my minimum. It's my minimum. Stop it. That's my wife. You guys. That's my wife. I believe him. That's my mom. I believe him. 20% is great. It is? Don't feel bad. Yes. This says suggested tip 15% of the pre-tax bill. Talk to me, Woodsy. What's the deal? Why is it bad? Dude, these guys make... Very little money. It's a hard job. I mean, waiting tables is a tough, tough gig. Bartending is a little bit easier, but there's a lot more volume. I was a much better bartender because I could move quickly. Waiting and waiting on people that asked me for this, that, this, that, this, that. That was harder for me. So, I mean, I am a tipper. I'm a big, big tipper. Always have been. Hillary just walked into the studio. Hillary, what is a proper tip? In your opinion, you go to a restaurant, you get really great service, right in the microphone, what's a proper tip? Well, at a restaurant, at least 20%. At a girl. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I was saying. I was thinking 20. But Woodsy says you should go as high as, as high as. I've gone as high as 30, 35%. If it was phenomenal service. Yeah. My minimum is 20. If they're awful, I give 20%. Me too.
I look at that as the bottom of the barrel. What is wrong with the norm is what I want to know. What is the norm? What is it? 15% of the pre-tax bill. It's too low. It's in the teens. I'm out on it. I know, but what about the people that don't have a lot of money and they don't make very much money in their job? Why do they have to pay so much for these people? Yeah, that's the thing, Woodsy. You're working in radio now. Yeah, I don't make a ton of shit. You're not going to be making. And when Woodsy wasn't making a ton of dough, I remember when Woodsy wasn't making anything, Kid always tipped. Always. Always. It's his thing. Some people, though, are of the mindset of you get what you give. In other words, you get good service, then you give a good tip. That's what I was going to tell you. Always tip. Here's a tip for tipping. Always tip your bartender bigger at the beginning of the night because when it's crowded, he's like... I'm going to that guy because that guy took care of me. I do it because I do not want to be judged by the person. And forget the fact that I'm on the radio. I could be in the middle of Arkansas somewhere and I don't want the person to look at me and go, y'all get out. Yeah, get out. I mean, I want them to go, oh, that guy was nice.
You know what I mean? Yeah. Great Arkansas accent. Thank you. That was nice. Thank you. Thank you. When I said he's on the radio now, I meant like you're not getting paid a lot anymore. Yeah, he's not right. I didn't mean like. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You're on the radio. We're making a lot of money. I meant like you're not making much money anymore. Yeah. And the last one on this list, which I really want to know your opinion real quick. Pizza delivery. Yeah, you tip. How much do you tip? You tip. But how much? Well, I mean, most people get a pizza. Most people. Instead of like three or four pizzas, most people get a pizza. At our house last night, we had two large pizzas. Except they got five bucks. Well, wait, wait, wait. Five bucks? You tipped 20%? No. Yeah, is it percentage or is it per pizza? Percentage, percentage. People order pizza, they think in their head you're supposed to give like... A dollar. Yes, a set amount. And I say... It's a percentage. It's a percentage. Yeah. And how much did two pizzas cost? Oh, I don't know. 25 bucks, 30 bucks. Really? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that six. See if it's 20 bucks, I'd grace that guy at five. Yeah. Yeah. That's 20%. That's 25%. I would. Yeah. Five bucks. It'd probably be one of the easiest combination of bills that I have. Absolutely. For sure. The suggested tip amount for ordering pizzas is 10%. However, if you have like a big confusing order, you give them a little bit more. Mm-hmm.
Because they had to, you know, get it all to you and find it all in the back of their car. It's true. Under the seat. M1 Old 94 Niner, are you there? I am. This is actually BG's mom. Oh, cool. What's up? I just wanted to say, you know, I'm a chef. Uh-huh. And I also work the catering industry. And so we rarely get tips. And when I do, I am totally stoked because I sit back there, I bust my ass, and I really put my heart and soul into my food. I just wanted to call in and say, hey, tip your catering chef. Absolutely. We totally dig it. Love it. Love it. Tip everybody is what I say. Hi, Beasy. Lovely and talented Hillary is coming up next. Hillary, what do you got today? What are you playing music today? I'm going to play a group called... Dogs and Strollers, and I'm going to play The Bedazzlers. The Bedazzlers and the Dogs and Strollers. It's going to be good. The new Bedazzlers is outstanding. Dogs and Strollers? What if that was a name? I thought you were serious. Actually, that's not a bad band at all. They're actually pretty good. We're out of Detroit. Those are the things we wanted to band. Can you spell it this time, Mike?
Well, it depends on what kind of band you're talking about. The one from Seattle is B-A-N-E-D. And the one from San Diego is B-A-N-N-E-D. There you go. Mikey Show back tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. A Lincoln Financial Media Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. M94.9. It's about the music.
