The show featured Mikey hosting with Woods, Lauren, and Jay discussing various topics. They laughed about Jimmy Fallon’s Jim Morrison impressions and Pete Weber Jr.’s bowling triumph. Lauren shared an emotional reaction to Sex and the City, while Mikey described his father’s chili recipe. Mikey’s brother Steve recounted filming a helicopter crash that aired on Good Morning America. The team debated Rush Limbaugh’s controversial remarks about Susan Fluck and his subsequent apology. They also celebrated Scarlett Johansson’s casting as Janet Leigh in a Hitchcock film. Finally, a caller named Janelle told a harrowing story of being rescued from a clown‑dressed serial killer.
What happened, in order
Animal and IHOP
Mikey jokes about being an animal who loves military tank marathons and eats a spinach omelet at IHOP for exercise.
Jimmy Fallon Jim Morrison
The crew praises Jimmy Fallon’s spot‑on Jim Morrison impression and discusses his impersonation of the Doors frontman.
Sex and the City tear‑up
Lauren and Mikey describe how the first Sex and the City movie made them tear up, mentioning Ella B., Sienna, Todd, Jamie and Mikey’s self‑proclaimed “Joe Sushi” nickname.
Dad’s chili recipe
Mikey walks through his father’s method of char‑grilling peppers, steaming off skins, blending with tomatoes and spices to make a homemade chili he calls “ketchup”.
Brother Steve’s helicopter crash
Mikey’s brother Steve films a fiery helicopter crash in Arizona that airs on Good Morning America, describing the explosion, rotor blades flying and the crew walking away unharmed.
Rush Limbaugh Susan Fluck controversy
Rush Limbaugh calls Susan Fluck a “slut” and “prostitute” for advocating birth control coverage, later offering a half‑hearted apology while defending his original remarks.
Scarlett Johansson as Janet Leigh
The hosts announce that Scarlett Johansson will play Janet Leigh in the upcoming film Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, opposite Anthony Hopkins as Hitchcock.
Janelle serial killer clown story
Caller Janelle recounts how, as a child, she and her neighbor were lured by a clown‑dressed serial killer offering candy, but she pulled her friend to safety and the killer was later caught.

All I can do is tell you what the weather service says. Oh, God. Mike! Already? It's not me. You guys, I just tell you. Why are you obsessed? I pass along to you my friendlies, what I read in the newspaper and on various weather apps that I have. Various. Isn't this from your Weather Supporters Anonymous group? Yes. WSA. Yes, that could be true. Did I just blow the lid off that? Yeah. I'm not supposed to talk about it. The truth of the matter is that I have no less than four, no, excuse me, five weather apps. Why? I consult with four of them, but I have five. Just cross-reference and all that? Yeah, what do you bring to us? Is it an informed overall look based on the five apps? Yes. That is true about me. That must take you a while. No, it takes five minutes. To look at all of them and then cross-reference and make sure? One of them, my favorite one, is on the iPad. My favorite one. And that is a satellite view of Earth. That's all it is. It doesn't say any words. It's just the Earth with a satellite image. And you get to play meteorologist. I don't get to play meteorologist. I become meteorologist.
You look at the fronts and like what? The movements. Patterns. High pressure. High pressure. Low pressure. I take a look at all the different models and then I report to you on what today should be. Should we be aware of any fronts or high pressure systems? Well, I don't want to bore you with the details, but what I will tell you is that today should be cloudy this morning. Okay. Then it'll clear up a bit, but there's still going to be some clouds. So you'll have a little bit of sun poking through today. And then later on, what you can expect is a high of about 78 degrees. Holy smokes. There is not a cloud in the sky yesterday. It's gorgeous. It was beautiful. 80 degrees. Wasn't that gorgeous? Beautiful. Man, I'll tell you what. If it wasn't for the National Geographic Channel, I would have enjoyed some of that. I will tell you that. Humans.
despise me if it wasn't for the military channel's marathon of great tank battles. I'm an animal. Wow. That was harsh. Wow. You're a guy that you love it when it's sunny outside, but you don't like outside, but boy, you like it to be sunny. You love it to be sunny. I love it. So much. Because when I do go outside, in those moments that I do, I prefer Sun. Heat and sun. You open the door to let the food in and then shut it. You're like, look how nice it is outside. Thank you, delivery guy. I went to get my food yesterday and didn't have it delivered. I needed the exercise from the car to the IHOP. Oh, no. The IHOP? It's true. I got myself a... Hey, I eat really healthy, though. I put spinach in my omelet. There you go. Make a little Popeye over there. Yep. That's right.
Just a health note. Was Jay here when I said that I have decided that I'm going to start the exercise? Yeah, how'd that go? I didn't exercise yet. But you've decided. Yes. That's half the battle. I did walk on Thursday. I did walk on Thursday. And today, I plan on going to get my stuff. Woodsy told me where to get it. I'm going to go get some stuff. What do you need? I need... Oh, wow. I need some shoes and I need some shirts and shorts. What'd you wear in here today? Are you barefoot? No, but I can't. These are not walking shoes. He wants some new tennis shoes. Surprised you didn't get them online. Sneakers. Yeah, these are sneakers. Yeah, you're walking those. I know, but it's not very good for you. I know about losing weight. I just don't do it.
Isolate that. Save that. Keep that one for good. That's a definite keeper. Walked right into that. She's called the keeper. Okay. The song Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO. Imagine what that would sound like if Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young sang it. Well, imagine that Neil Young was actually being played by Jimmy Fallon. That's great. That is unbelievable. He's so good. He should do a tour. Yes. Where he comes out, does five minutes of Morrison, comes out, does five minutes of Neil Young, comes out. He does better. I guarantee he's got a ton of them in his arsenal. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He does a bunch of guys. Lauren, say what you were saying off the air. What I was saying was I guarantee when he was on SNL.
He was trying to pitch to Lorne Michaels, like, hey, I got this killer young voice. And he was like, all right, Jimmy, you be the guy that can't keep it together. Yeah, you be the laugh guy. The token white guy. We don't need another impressionist. It's too bad. And he probably had all those just sitting there. That Morrison that he does is second to none. It's better than Jim Morrison. I'd rather listen to Fallon than do Jim Morrison. It's phenomenal. Yeah, he did. What would it sound like if... Jim Morrison sang the Reading Rainbow theme song. What's remarkable about Jimmy Fallon's Jim Morrison is that Jim Morrison has two types of Jim Morrison. There's this Jim Morrison, and then there's this Jim Morrison. Very well. Pretty cool. Very cool. Strike to claim it. Strike to claim it. And he goes! Can I tell you a nugget of information I found out? About that bowler? About that bowler. What's his name? Pete Weber. Pete Weber. He is actually Pete Weber Jr., son of the great Pete Weber, who he's the equivalent of the Michael Jordan. Really? A bully. Yeah. And it was the same thing we were talking about. It's like being Michael Jordan's son. Like, gosh, how do you live up to that? Well, he only had four championships. Pete Weber Jr., with that strike and championship, that made number five. Really?
That was why he said the thing about M5. That was why he lost his mind. He beat his old man. His big F you to the world. And his old man. Hey, you thought you were hot ass. Look at me. Look at me. Four, five. Five. Wow, you did all that research. No, I got an M1. M1 Moose sent me a little message and was like, here's an interesting tidbit. Knowing that makes it all the better. It does. Claim it. A strike to claim it. I wonder if his dad ever said, who do you think you are? Yeah. Who do you think you are? I am. Yeah. I finally figured it out, L.O.B. Because it sounds like he says another five. He says it's number five. Number five. Number five. And he says to Pete Webber Sr., who do you think you are? As Pete Webber Sr., I am. Hey, Dad. Remember all those times? Who do you think you are? I'll tell you who. Hey, Dad. Remember that time that I wanted you to hang out with me and you said that you couldn't because you had to go to the alley? Yeah.
Who do you think you are? I am. Hey, Dad, remember when I got number three and I was admittedly being a little bit of a sassy pants about it? And you got kind of pissed at me and you said, who do you think you are? Remember that time? Do you remember that? When you have four, then you hit me up, son. Right. Remember when you said that? A strike to claim it. A strike to claim it. And... Calls his dad. His dad says hello and he goes, did you say that? He goes, no, I'm in Mexico right now. What's going on? With your mother. We're watching Jeopardy. We're watching Jeopardy. Your mother and I are playing Pinochle right now. I've been watching Jeopardy playing Pinochle. USOB. I knew it. Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are? Oh, I love it. I just got five, you bastard. That's fantastic. Yes. When I got that piece of information, I went, oh. And it all falls into place. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Tomorrow is Super Tuesday. So there's going to be 10 states going to the polls tomorrow. Alaska, Georgia, Idaho, Mass, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia. They're all going to the polls tomorrow. And by the way, California votes June 5th. So this is going to be a big year because this is the year that Barack Obama has to defend the White House and try to get elected again. But anyway, that was big news. Speaking of elections, over the weekend, Vladimir Putin was reelected. Now, he was reelected. Finger quotes. He got 63% of the vote. You're finger quoting. Like a madman right now. Yes. And the opposition is saying, this is all voter fraud.
Whoa, none of it is real. And we are going to mass protest today because what you are doing is wrong. It is a corrupt government. You tried to keep your job after 2008. Do you remember that, Vladimir? 2008, you were president from 2000 to 2008. And in 08, we forced you out because you could not be in there anymore. And you know what you did then? You became prime minister because you just couldn't handle it. Do you know anything about Vladimir Putin? No, nothing. Let me tell you a little bit about Vlad. Vlad's a weirdo, okay? Vlad is in his 60s or 70s, and he's cut like a 25-year-old gymnast. Really? Yes. So he works out constantly. And then he takes pictures of his old self doing things.
For instance, he published a picture of him fly fishing with no shirt on and waders. Huh. Yes. That's very odd for a head of a... Head of state. Head of state. Yeah, it's very strange. He's real into himself. Like if he could have a MySpace, he probably does. Yeah, he's got a MySpace. He's got a MySpace. He's got a MySpace. It's called Vlad the Impaler. Vlad the Impaler. And you know what he's talking about. Absolutely, you do. He ain't talking about stabbing people with knives. No. Or daggers. Nope. But I'm sexy and I know it. Right. And so, yeah, it happened to be a hot day. I took my shirt off. Why do you make big deal out of it? I got to find this picture. Oh, yeah. It's very easy to find. He has a calendar out, I hear. January. Yeah. Yeah. This is him harvesting wheat. Yeah. He's pretending to be a firefighter. Yeah, he's a firefighter. Just his handers in his shirt. I turned on two things. Village people turned on their tour. I said, I can't do it.
And then the other thing I turned on is Playgirl. Well, obviously. The best picture of you, Vlad, was the one where you were laying on that velvet couch. You had all those puppies all over you with your shirt off. It was very odd. I disagree, Woods. I like the one where he was a Chippendales dick. That one was pretty good. That one was pretty cool. Even though it was full frontal, it was still good. I appreciated it. Everyone did. He's like a 25-year-old. College kid in PB, dude. Vlad Putin. Take a shirtless picture. Freaking Vlad. Putin all over there. Real good. Putin it up. That's classic. You've been Putin it up for years. So there's that. Any of you guys, you guys have a good weekend? What'd you guys do this weekend? I was low key. I enjoyed the sunshine. I watched some Sex and the City with my girlfriend that was visiting. Ah. We got some takeout then. I took care of... The movie Sex and the City or the old show? The movie. The movie. We watched the movie. It's a good one. The first one or the second one? The first one. I've never seen the second one. The second one's ridiculous. I keep hearing it's bad, so I don't want to tarnish my... What's the cinema? Yeah, it's ridiculous. It's stupid. That's what I keep hearing. It's stupid. Don't watch it. The first one's really good.
I might have teared up the first one. The first one is amazing. Yeah, it is. I might have teared up at it. You're awesome, dude. I might have teared up at it. Listen, look, there's one kind of human being that's able to admit that if they're a guy. A, guy with a big hug. Otherwise, you can't admit that. Okay? And B, a guy that's secure with himself. And that's that. Period. Amen. This guy, this man sitting across from me. watched Sex and the City, the movie, and teared up. Dude, there's one part in there that will get you. You know which one I'm talking about, Ella B. You are not human if you don't tear up. You know which one I'm talking about. Oh, I know. Is it emotional terrorism? No. Yeah. I'm like... Yes. It'll get you. It goes from tears to you almost laugh because of that face that he's talking about. She must have broke up with Mr. Big. Yes. Don't they call him that because he's got a big wiener? Yep. Big. Yeah, they just call him big. There's a lot of reasons they call him big, yeah. That's one of them. That's one of them. What about you, Woods? I actually saw our old dear friend Sienna Friday night. Went to dinner with her husband Todd. My wife Jamie went to Happy Fish in Encinitas. Weird. My favorite place. I am Joe Sushi.
Yeah. That's all I think about. I thought it was a bit, Woods. It is, but I love it. You get the same thing or do you get different stuff? I get the exact same thing. It's called the Boneyards Roll. What is it? And it's tempura shrimp in a roll. I don't do seaweed, so I get it with soy paper, which is phenomenal. On top of it, it's wrapped in rice and soy paper. The tempura shrimp roll. Then there's tuna on top and pineapple on top. And dude. Sounds real good. This SOB. I mean, I'll eat it in five seconds. So is it all cooked or is there any of it raw? It's raw. The tuna's raw. The tuna's raw. Okay. So you like the raw fish now? I love raw fish. It's not a bit. And I eat the, it's called Hamachi Happiness, and it's just tuna with jalapenos and stuff. Jalapenos? Jalapeno. How do I say it? Jalapeno. Jalapeno. Jalapeno on top. Sashimi. It's outstanding. And then I ate some shrimp nigiri. which is shrimp on top of rice. Wow. I'm Joe Sushi now. Ella B., do you have a go-to? Not really. A lot of times I get a crunchy roll. I like the crunchy stuff on there. Me too. You know what I've never had in my life? The cone. Hand roll. Zero percent. I don't like the cone. Zero percent. It seems like too much. It's way too much. It's way too much. Hand roll, there's nothing better. That's a professional. If you go that far, you're Japanese. Yeah. I eat two of those. I order them every single time I go in.
Wow. It doesn't seem like overkill. Oh, it's so creamy. Can't you get the same thing but have it in a... No, it's something about the texture. And I say, make me cry. Make it that hot that it makes me cry. And they do. They chop up little pieces of jalapeno and put it in. I ordered a roll last week and it came with jalapeno. And the guy's making it in front of me. He cuts the jalapeno. And he cut it into strips that look like bell peppers on a pizza. Wow. I'm not kidding. He cut it into strips that big and I watched him put it in and I was like, there's no way. Like, well, what are you going to do with that? Who's that going to? Oh, that's mine. Oh, okay. I mean, I know it said jalapeno, but it didn't say like in all caps with exclamation points after it. Like chicken strip sizes of jalapeno. Was it too much? Yeah, but I ate it. Yeah. I had jalapenos over the weekend, and it took my breath away, and then I started to have hiccups. I couldn't stop hiccups. It's that hot. It's funny. I'll tell you what. I'll give you a real quick recipe. And this is dad's, so you know this is the authentic and real deal. If you go to one of these cookplaces, they'll sell a grill that you can put right on top of your gas stove, you know, if you've got a flame and not the coils.
But if you have the flame, they'll sell these little grates. They're like a, you know, like a little grill and you put it on top of your stove. Now, make sure there's nobody in the house when you do this. And I mean it because it'll hurt you. You got to open windows and stuff when you do this. But you take a Ziploc bag, put it to the side, take a bunch of peppers that you enjoy, like jalapenos, banana peppers, any of these different kind of peppers that you like. And you grill them until they're black. Then you stick them inside of that Ziploc and zip it up and you let the steam take the skin off. Strip the skin off. Throw that into a blender. Throw a can of chopped tomatoes in there. And then whatever you like. If you like cilantro, I don't. It tastes like soap to me. But if you like cilantro, throw that in there. If you like onions, throw that in there. If you like garlic salt, throw that in there. Whatever you like. Salt and pepper. Blend it all up. And stick that on anything. Stick it on eggs. Stick it on anything you want. I love it. That's good. Oh, dude. My dad makes it like ketchup. So there's never a time that you go to the house and it's not there. It's always, you know, it's always there. Is there a name for it? He just calls it his chili. Chili. And so I've always known it as chili. Solid. And he'll make two.
One for mom and one for the rest of the family. Mom can't eat it as hot as we do. And so the one for the rest of the family is made with habaneros and jalapenos. I could not handle the rest of the family chili. It'll blow your head off. Really? You probably couldn't handle moms either. I probably couldn't handle moms either. No, I think you could. It's just so tame, man. If it was made with bell peppers, I could. Yeah, he uses peppers that don't have real heat. Bell peppers are a bit spicy for your boy here. Yeah. Okay, then you would. Ketchup. Ketchup's hot for him. Yeah, that's true. It's too tangy for him. But my dad's, when he does it with the, he uses seven habaneros. Oh, my God. Two jalapenos and a couple of these big long yellow suckers. Wow. Later in the show, I'm going to be telling you about how my brother, Steve, made nationwide news over the weekend. Yep. It was, it was really. Just incredible that he happened to be at the right place at the right time and captured something on video that was on Good Morning America and all these different news channels. Really incredible. I mean, when he told me about it, I thought he called me up Saturday morning and he goes, what time does Good Morning America come on there? I said, seven. Why? He said, turn it on because you're going to second story after the tornado is going to be me.
Sure enough, Steven Esparza, Echo Star Cinema, up in the right-hand corner of the screen. Unbelievable. We'll tell you about it. And I had to tape him on my phone because he's not available today. He's on a cruise ship on an assignment going to Jamaica. What a D. Rough life, right? Wow. Plus, we're going to be playing Buzzword. Is that what we play today? Yeah, Buzzword. On FM 94.9. Jay is back. That's right.
Got Jay back. He is our producer. He's 48. I'm 41. I'm now that guy. What I mean by that is I saw a commercial over the weekend that said, are you over 40 and experience tiredness? Blah, blah, blah. I'm like, wow, these are commercials targeted to men over 4-0. Yep. I'm a kid. I'm a little kid. No. Who's over 30 and doesn't experience tiredness? I know, right? Who's over 20? Yeah. Who's over 20? That's true. Woodsy's our sports guy. He played baseball this weekend against 18-year-olds. Yes. Didn't go well. No, it did not. Woodsy pitched. Got lit up. And you happened to hit a guy in the back. As hard as I could humanly throw a baseball, I hit him, and I hit him square in the back. It was a good, like, oh! Oh, wow.
Luckily, he's 18, so he'll recover in a couple days as opposed to us, which would take three weeks. He was fine. When we all rolled out there yesterday morning and saw these kids warming up, they all went jogging together as a team. They ran, and we were like... So they must have been pro if you guys are semi-pro then, right? They have the potential to be pro. They're still semi-pro. They're just a little younger. They're semi-pro? Yeah, they're younger. They're younger semi-pros. Lauren O'Brien. She is 31 and engaged to be married. And our phone screener today is Emily. And she's 19. Hi, Emily. So cheery. That's right. She's a sweetheart. Let's see. Today is Penn Jillette's birthday. Dude turns 57. I've actually seen the Penn Jillette, the Penn and Teller show in Vegas. Funny. Yeah. You know, here's my assessment. After about a half hour, I was good. That was all you needed. Yeah, it was about a half hour too long. You know, I was like, okay, I get it. Is he the tall one? Yeah, he's the one that talks. Ponytail guy? Yeah. Okay. Today is Eva Mendez's birthday. She's 38. She was in training day. Oh, hot. Yeah. Got that mole right there. Oh, God, she's smoking hot. Oh, yeah, she is. It is also this man's birthday. When I tell you how old this guy is.
You are going to feel old. Eddie Grant? Eddie Grant. One of my favorite songs when I was a little kid. Electric Avenue? Yeah. Woods. Does it make you feel old to know that he's celebrating his 64th birthday today? Very much, dude. Very much. He was like the darling of MTV when I was a little kid. Oh, yeah. This video is on every 25 minutes. Oh, yeah. 64-year-old guy. Grandfather's age. A-A-R-P. Yeah. Holy cow. That guy was legit. Happy birthday. Yeah, happy birthday, man. On this day 11 years ago in 2001, and I remember this as if it were yesterday, Santana High School, right here in Santee, was the site of those shootings. Remember that? Mm-hmm. Gosh darn. 15-year-old freshman opened fire at Santana High School. Wow.
He killed two students. He wounded 13 students. And he was taken into custody because they had cornered him in a bathroom. And that was 11 years ago today. Holy cow. According to the National Weather Service, you're going to see some clouds out there this morning. And then later on, you're going to see some sun. And then it's supposed to be 78 degrees. Now, because it's impossible to predict the weather, that's all I can tell you. That's about it. I can tell you this. The price of gas is pretty high. $4.37 is the average price of gas here in San Diego. And so we're going to be giving you away $50 gift cards today. Yep. For gasoline. Lindsay Lohan was the guest on Saturday Night Live. What was that, Jay? I don't understand. Why the fart sound effect? She's farty. She's farty. She's so not farty. She's very farty these days. Yeah.
Well, this was part of her opening monologue. Oh, no, it isn't. I apologize. It's like Jimmy Fallon. Your voice has gotten really deep. Yes. Well, it has. Here we go. Sorry, here we go. I know, right? I feel lucky and grateful to be here tonight, and that's why I really want to thank all of my friends at SNL who trusted me enough to have me back. You know, this studio feels like a home to me. Leave the stage? I thought it was only if I left the studio. I thought you guys trusted me. Hey, how's it going? Hey, Keenan. Hey, so good to see you again. I forgot how beautiful your eyes are. Thanks, Keenan. Can I see them? Okay. Yeah, can I see your eyes, please? She's good. Keenan, I should be checking your eyes. Oh, I'll save you the trouble. I've been stoned since Good Burger. Well, the overall performance did not get a very, it wasn't received well.
Yeah. Most people said it stunk. Stunk. Stunk it up real good. I didn't see it. She sounds like she has emphysema. Yeah, she does have. It sounds like it's actually difficult to breathe. People were on Twitter all over the fact that she was relying on cue cards, on exceptional comedy chops, just blasting her. Now I have to watch it. Plus, it looks like her face has been injected with plastic of some sort. Yeah, a lot of collagen. treatments, possibly. You know, this shocked me this morning to see this in the UT. The guy that killed Kathy Sharbarth killed himself over the weekend. Local story. It was a really, really sweet girl. In fact, our good friend Lori went to school with her growing up. One of our M1s is really close to her. It's her best friend. And she was killed the day before Thanksgiving. Well, the guy that killed her killed himself. In jail. In jail. He hung himself. And the family had this to say. We'd prepared ourselves for a long and emotional trial. Now we're dealing with another series of emotions too difficult to describe at this time. Today we pray that God's peace will comfort both families as we heal and move forward with our lives.
But that was huge news. Yeah, yeah. Huge news over the weekend. 570-1949 is our number. Did you guys hear about Rush Limbaugh being in trouble? Oh, yeah. I mean, big trouble. Yeah, he's lost it. Well, yeah, you think to yourself, has he lost it? Like, in what world did you think you were going to say that and it was going to... Everything was going to be cool. And say it over and over. Right. That's true. Here's the deal. This woman went before a congressional committee and she was lobbying to make sure that under President Obama's health plan, birth control was covered. Now, that's been a big controversy, this birth control thing. Her name is Susan Fluck. It's spelled fluke, but I've only heard it pronounced Fluck. But he says, this is a quote from Rush Limbaugh. He says, what does it say about the college co-ed, Susan Fluck, who goes before a congressional committee and says she must be paid to have sex? What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? It makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex, she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me.
and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps. Wow. Now, he didn't want to come off it either. No. He wanted to stick to it, stick to it, stick to it. Well, he finally is now coming off of it. Here's his quote. For over 20 years, I've illustrated the absurd with absurdity. Three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluck. Didn't? I mean, you didn't? Didn't you? How didn't you? He says, I think it's absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we're discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. Now, I'm going to pause there. Because on one hand, he's saying, hey, everybody, I'm just a comedian.
I do the absurd. I'm about making absurd news absurd. But now he's going to proceed to say something serious. He says, I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit? In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what's going on in anyone's bedroom, nor do I think it's a topic that should reach a presidential level. Well, that sounds like you meant it. Right. That all sounds like you mean it. It's a backhanded apology. What cards you're showing us is that you meant it. There's no contrition. He's not taking it back. A hundred percent. He's justifying what he said. I think he wants his loyal followers to know, like, oh, don't worry, I'm not backing down off of my stance on it being ridiculous. But it wasn't a personal attack on that girl. Right. His ditto heads. Yeah. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir.
I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluck for the insulting word choices. Hmm. Well, this was, I mean, you could not turn on the news and not see this over the weekend. Yeah. It was humongoid. President Obama says that he will attack Iran if it's the only option left to stop it from getting a nuclear weapon. Nervous anyone? Yeah, of course. He'll meet in Washington today with Benjamin Netanyahu. That's Israel's prime minister. And this is the purpose of the meeting. He's going to try to persuade him not to bomb Iran. He's going to do. And now this is something I'll say about President Obama. I think he's good at that. Yep. I think he's good at the schmooze. The diplomacy. Yeah. Yep.
I think Clinton was a great schmoozer. Oh, yeah. The best. Yeah. The best. Hey, let's just, let's have, hey, y'all, I'm going to have my Secret Service leave. You have yours leave. Let's just talk, man. Just me and you. What do you like to drink? Let's visit, man. I like, how about scotch? You want scotch? I got it. Hey, before y'all leave, get them a scotch on the rocks. You want it rocks or straight? Straight up, please. Let's get them straight up. There you go. What do you like? Johnny Walker Black at the Private Reserve. Johnny Walker Black at the Private Reserve. From your personal collection, Mr. President? Absolutely. Spare no expense. Bill, do you have any marijuana? You want some? Hey, when you're out there, grab some weed for him. From the legal stash or from your personal? No, the stuff we use on the congressional committee to show us. Do you have a hookah pipe? We got a hookah. Melinda? I have one. Melinda, can we use yours? Yeah, you can use mine. Great. This is a great meeting. You want Melinda? I'd love to have her. No, Melinda, would you be all right making love to Vladimir Putin? Sure, Mr. President. Wow. Obama is going to try to persuade him not to bomb Iran. And this is what Israel is saying. They're like, that's easy for you to say. Right.
They're not telling you they're going to kill you. Exactly. They're telling us they're going to bomb us with a nuclear weapon. We take that kind of serious. Think about the guy driving in his car today that thinks he has a big meeting to go to. Right. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Think about Barack Obama right now waking up, pouring himself a cup of coffee like, this is one of those. He's looking himself in the mirror going, all right, this is one of those days. This is what we trained for. Holy cow. You're going. Imagine. You're driving right now going. I got to close this deal today, man. I got to get this thing done. This is my whole second quarter. Michelle's just giving him a back rub. Yeah. Smoking it cool. You got this. You got this. You're going to be good today, babe. I don't know. I don't know. It's a tough one. No, you are the president. Okay? You are Mr. President. I feel a tickle in my throat. I think I'm going to call in. No. Will you do it? Will you call? No, absolutely. You call and say that I'm so sick. Will you call and say I'm so sick I can't even talk? Yeah, baby. Rocky. Yeah. Stop it. All right. It's a thing we have. When she says stop it, I say I'll write it. Can you imagine? That is a day. That's a day. I was thinking about him, about all presidents. They don't get out much. No. Because, you know, their work is done in the same place they sleep.
It's like you own a liquor store, but you live there. You live above it. You live above it. I go nuts. Not me, man. Oh, I'd hate it. Oh, that'd be my dream. I'd hate it. Everything's right there. You have a little 7-Eleven downstairs. Yeah. And when you do go, no wonder these guys love this job. When you do go somewhere, you walk out onto your lawn in the backyard. No joke. Walk out onto your lawn in the backyard. A beautiful, gorgeous helicopter. Takes you wherever you're going to go. It's a true statement. You're just whisked away. That is true. Sounds awesome. It's a, yeah, but, you know, it's not the, it sounds glamorous, sure. But then again, he also has to meet with the prime minister of Israel to talk about. And try to talk him out of bombing somebody. And how do you approach that? Yeah. Very delicately, I think. I mean, but how do you, I guess you start with the weather and you start with just, you know. Redskins, maybe. Maybe. You know. Man. How's the family?
Listen, I and then there's an interpreter, maybe. I don't know. Possibly. But I mean, he's saying to him, listen, I know that for whatever reasons you feel nervous. I'm very nervous that you're going to be bombed. It's very, very nervous. First of all, nerves about being nuclear bombed these days are very overrated. This is you. Well, it's true. Says me. Why are you even bothering to talk to me about this? Well, we want to keep it to about $4.50 a gallon. You know, that's our thing. Fair enough. Fair enough. Fair enough. So let's just get this thing done and you go back there and don't bomb them. And then we'll meet again this time next year. We'll have some, what do you like, caviar? Absolutely. All right. And Melinda was fun, right? Yeah. Great. Good time. Melinda was a knockout. She put it on me. She put it on you. She put it on me pretty good. Pretty good. I'm a little tired. You know. When I went to Austria, they put it on me. But not like Melinda. Melinda, she's something special. National treasure. That's why they call me the putter on her. The putter on her. That's what they call it. Catchy nickname. That's right. 570-1949 if you want to call in. And anything you want to talk about, we'll talk about with you.
$4.37. That's the average price of gas in town. The LA Times is reporting that the Apple App Store has reached 25 billion downloads. With a B. That is unbelievable. 25 billion. Wow. So they put on their iTunes today, a billion thanks 25 times over. Wow. The App Store has reached 25 billion downloads. Thanks for getting us there. And you're like half of that. Yeah, at least. Yep. McDonald's started counting at a billion. Yes. You know what app I downloaded this morning onto my iPad? What? The UT. It's free. How crazy is that? It's free. Get the news alerts. Yeah, you can read the paper for free on your iPad, the UT, for free. It's killer. On your iPad, and the reason is because they run an ad underneath, and so you get it for free. It's cool. How rad is that? It's awesome. Awesome. I mean, it's unreal, man. They have to change or die, though. Yeah. The printed word is quickly fading. Adapt or die. They seem like they're ahead of the curve. That's a good paper. Yeah. I mean, they're good paper. Really good paper. Anyway, so that was the big news. Since they announced their big app promotion February 13th, they were saying, listen, we're almost there. We're almost there. They're counting down to $25 billion. And boom, there it is. $25 billion. Mm-hmm. Now.
The cool thing about a lot of these apps now is that if you download it on your iPhone, because of iCloud, iCloud stores all your junk. Everything you like is all in the cloud. So you download an app on your phone, it shows up on your iPad. That's pretty solid. Yeah, it's pretty cool. That's how I'm able to have my five weather apps. It's amazing that they're free. The amount of free apps. Yeah, there's some really good ones that are free. And my nephew told me, he said, that sometimes they offer the... They pay ones for free on certain days. They do app specials. I was like, oh my gosh, how crazy. They also do a thing that they call, they call it like the essentials or something. And it's a picture of a toolbox. You click on it, it's all the apps that they believe you gotta have. The must-haves. The must-haves. I guarantee you I have none of those. Do you download any apps, Woods? Yeah.
Games. I play some boxing. Yeah. On mine, I play a home run derby game. Yeah. Play a field goal kicking game. Yeah. And a quarterback game. How about you? And Monopoly. Lauren? Games, no. No, no. Do you have any apps? I do have apps, yeah. What do you like? I have a white noise app that I'm addicted to, that I sleep with. Really? Uh-huh. Instead of buying a sound machine, I've got a free app. I use my banking app. I use the Amazon app. I use my Verizon to pay my bill. I do a lot. It's pretty cool. The fact that you could do all that on a phone, it's pretty amazing. My dad, though, when he goes to the iTunes, he calls it the iTunes. When he goes to the iTunes, he can't figure out that the search button up there is not Google. You don't want to put in projected Padres lineup. No, well, he thinks that you can Google anything if it says search. If it says search, it's a search engine to my dad. Same with my dad. So he will get confused as to why he can't find out about a local election when he typed it into iTunes. So frustrating. It makes him insane. I typed in Escondido poll results.
Into iTunes. Into iTunes. And nothing came up. My dad told me. An Aretha Franklin album came up. Right. I don't understand. My dad was telling me over the weekend how upset he is that he can't get savings bonds in the bank anymore. You have to get them online. And he's like, I don't know the foggiest how to do that. They're driving me out. Where to find them. Oh, dads. The greatest thing about it is that's going to be us. Oh, yeah. Woodsy, what's the latest with Vincent Jackson? Well, this was in the UT today. This was surprising, I think, to a lot of people. But the deadline to franchise VJ today is 1 p.m. And sources are saying they don't think they're going to put the franchise tag on him, which would pay him $13.7 million, all of which would count against this year's salary cap. 13.7. For him, for one year. For one year. For one year. Isn't that half of their... Yes, of what they have. To spend. Yeah, absolutely. As much as I love Vijay, what's dough you think? I can't give him 13-7. You can't give him half the dough you have. Well, and he's let it be known that he wants to stay here, which is not good for bargaining power. But, you know, if you're happy somewhere and you want to stay, he's still going to make tons of dough.
So they are saying that they're going to let other offers come in, and then they're going to counter. So they're rolling the dice, but I think it's a good move. I don't think you pay them 13-7. You can't ask for that without a championship behind you. That's half. Yeah. Yeah. Half? Half. So we'll know. We'll know today. They have until 1 p.m. to franchise them. Scarlett Johansson is going to be playing a role in a movie that I think will be badass. And I'll tell you about it when we come back. The word of the day is goat. Give you tickets to go see the NASCAR when it comes to California Speedway, otherwise known as the Auto Club 400. So before we went to break, I said that Scarlett Johansson is set to play this role. There is going to be a new movie called Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. Whoa.
Dude. All in. Because what I already know about it is fascinating. So it'll be like a behind the scenes? Yeah. A movie. But a movie about it. Yes. So they'll have somebody playing Hitchcock. Yes. That's rad. In fact, they say that Anthony Hopkins is going to play Hitchcock. Oh, wow, dude. I couldn't be more in. It's going to be a good movie. Oh, yeah. And Helen Mirren is going to play his wife. Oh, yeah. Yeah, incredible cast. Hitchcock, he was a very odd guy. You'd have to be. In order to do those types of movies. But one of his bits was he had kind of a crush on Janet Leigh. I believe that too. She was a peach. She was a real peach. He had kind of a crush on her. And she didn't reciprocate. Because he was... Old and creepy and doughy and the whole thing. And so, have you seen the movie The Birds? Yes. There's a scene in The Birds where she gets trapped. Janet Leigh gets trapped in the attic. And the birds are getting her. And she, in the film, loses her mind. Okay, well, what you're seeing is real.
because he kept at it for 19 hours. Oh. He kept at it and forced her to do that for 19 hours. Was that after Psycho? I don't know. I was going to say maybe he was bitter. I don't know. Well, but the reason that he did, they say that it was because he was bitter. I don't know if it came before or after, but it was because he was bitter. But his defense was, well, I got this amazing performance, which he did. When she appears to be losing her mind, she is. Because for 19 hours, she had real birds flying into her hair. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I would have made it 19 seconds. Yeah. Set them out. I would have gotten the same response she got after 19 seconds. You would think that you would have, like, post-traumatic after that. Yeah, you probably do. Yeah. What a jerk. But anyway, Scarlett Johansson. is going to play Janet Leigh. Outstanding. I can't wait. Yeah, it's called Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. That's going to be a good movie. That sounds outstanding. Uh-huh. All right, Jay, what do we have as a prize today? Today's prize is a copy of the Monty Python and the Holy Grail on Blu-ray. Let's do some buzzword. Get a word. Buzzword is a fun game. Give us a word, then he'll give us clues about the word. Now, with this one...
There are certain people on The Mikey Show that are better than others. And what I mean by that is, I'm the worst. That's what I'm trying to say. You're getting better, though. Yes, you are. M-I. Memorial Day is the correct answer. Oh, wow. L-O-V. Wow, Lauren. All right. The last holiday of summer. Flavor Day. Crap. Dang it. It sounds so loud when you're by yourself. Don't forget. Mother's Day. L-O-V. What is your problem? Who do you think you are? I am. I am. January 1st. L-O-V.
Woods and I are tied at three. Oh, boy. Ah, I'm tied with no one. You have zero. I'm tied with the invisible person in the room. Get in the game, Mike. Get in the game. Punxsutawney Phil. Wow, I'm going to give that a tie to L.O.B. and Woods. Woods, do you think you got cheated on that one? I didn't say a word. I know, but I can tell in your body language. I didn't say one word. December 25th. Christmas Day! Mike, I'm surprised you didn't get that one. Yeah, you're so close. All right. In honor. Veterans Day. Martin Luther King Day. The discovery. Columbus Day. Darn it. Dang it. Of the new world. Why didn't they just call us holiday? Can we have a new word? One more on this one. Gosh.
Trees are the... Arbor Day! Oh, Tree Day. Arbor Day? What was it? Arbor Day. Arbor Day. Or Tree Day. We have a new word. Tree Day. Tree Day. Oh, gosh. All right. The new word is Bill. All right. B-I-L-L. Okay. Bill. Bill. Hillary's husband. Bill Hickok! Woods. Annie Oakley knew him. Wild Bill! Wild Bill Hickok! Wild Bill Hickok! Wild Bill Hickok! I'm still waiting for the correct answer. Buffalo Bill? I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. What's the score? I have five. Woods has eight. Mike, you have zero. Oh, my gosh. L-O-B. M1 O-Cider? Oh, yeah. L-O-B is in this game. I'm in it. She is in this game. Hang on. M1 Uniform Man? Well, you have to get one. Come on. I have to get one. You have to get one. I know. I know. Hang on. We have a dream. Here we go. One.
Of the original. Bill of Rights. Ghostbusters. Bill of Rights. What? What in my head? I hate this game with every ounce of my being. It hates you too. It hates me. It hates me. It does. Most money. Put the bill. Dollar bill. Is not as crooked as this. $2 bill. $5 bill. $100 bill. $20 bill. Stop saying denominations of bills. Most money is not as crooked as this. $3 bill. There you go. What? Crooked as a $3 bill. Crooked as a $3 bill. Gosh darn it. I only went through every number. Every denomination. $107 bill. Stop going through them. Microsoft mogul. Bill Belton Gates. I think it was Mikey that one actually, yeah. I have one point. I said Bill. I have one point. It's okay. He saves me. Saturday night live Play-Doh guy. Mr. Bill. Bill. There you go. He's heating up. The voice. Bill of Rights. Of Fat Albert. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. The Irish Bill McCosby. Yes. Irish Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby. Bill McCosby.
Woods is sweating. Oh, he is sweaty. Just took off his jacket because he's sweating. Here we go. Oh, no. Lawrence can get you. 1989 movie about two goofy time travelers. Nice, weirdo. Isolate. Isolate that clip. I need a score, Lauren. Mike, two. Lawrence, seven. Woods, ten. Ten. Here is... A three-pointer. Oh, gosh. This could end it. This could put us at a tie. The first ten amendments. Bill of Rights. L.O.B. We have a tie. We have a tie. We have a tie. We have a tie. Whoever gets the next one right wins. Yes. I've been saying Bill of Rights for five minutes. For the last ten clues. Here we go. Oh, gosh. Now I have nothing left. This is it. Oh, gosh. Shipping document. Bill dumps sale. Shipping bill. Bill of payment.
Bill of goods. Pay your bill! Shipping document. Bill of... Bill of sale. Bill of goods. Bill of goods. You said it! Payment bill. Bill of order. Bill document. Order bill! Bill of lading. That old story. Bill of lading? Yes, here we go. We got a new word. Oh my God! Still a... You are... Still straight up. Wait, wait, wait. What? It's still... You guys are just to one point. Here we go. The word is... Pony. Okay. P-O-N-Y. All right. Pony. Long hair drawing. Ponydale! Woods. Yes! Yes! That guy. Someone. P-E teacher hung up. Oh. Call back. Call back, P-E teacher. I mean, if there was a way to practice, I'd practice. Yeah. Seriously. L-O-B. I mean, I am this close to saying.
It's just better if you guys play. I'm only slowing this bit. You're going up to work. Yes. Watching you two compete is worth it. It's worth the price of admission. Maybe you read them and Jay plays. Might as well. His responses would be classic. That is true. A wiener. Guys know the creepy story of the 41-year-old teacher who is hooking up with the 18-year-old student. Yeah. This story got even creepier over the weekend. Like, all kinds of news about this. If you don't know, dude, best way I can describe him, rectangular glasses. He's 41 years old. Rectangular glasses, and he cuts his own hair with a number, probably number two. Yeah. Sounds like Jay. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Identical Jay. Identical Jay. The girl looks like his daughter. Yeah.
Clearly. Could be a granddaughter, actually. Yeah. Could he? No. No. She's 18. No, she's 18. He's 41. So he taught in Modesto at a school called Enoch High School. And he has left his wife and three kids to be with this 18-year-old student. Her mom is flipping out. Yeah. She's got a Facebook page that says that this guy is a master manipulator. And guess what? They just moved in together. And he resigned. I can't believe it's taken him this long to resign. No kidding. You think that guy's popular at the, you know, just walking in the grocery store there in Modesto? Just chilling at the Little League field or, you know, holy cow. Well, police are investigating whether there was an inappropriate contact before she turned 18. Of course they're going to. Well, and how is it possible that there wasn't?
Yeah, right. By the way, the guy's name is, I'm not making this up, James Hooker. Hook her up real good. You are a smelly pirate hooker. Yes, he hooked her. He hooked her real good. What do they talk about? What do they have in common? Well, it would be as if, Mike, you, at 41, were to date our phone screener today, Emily, at 19. Well, not just date, L-O-B, move in with. Move in together. Almost the same, except the person would be a year younger. Exactly. And Lee's a little older. Every reference that you ask her if she knows we're talking about, she doesn't. Right. No. She was born while you were well into your career. I was a top 40 DJ. When she graduated. When she was born. When she was born. When she was born. I graduated high school 17 years before her. You, Mike, same age as this gentleman, about 24, 23 years.
Before her. No, I didn't graduate high school 23 years before she was born. I graduated high school four years before. Well, right, but more than me. When did you graduate high school? 88. 88, yeah. Yeah, and I didn't graduate. Well, had you had. Hypothetically. Had I, you know, if I'd graduated. Hypothetically. Yeah. The year you were supposed to. 23 years apart. Yes. Oof. That's the creepiest thing. What do you talk about? You live a quarter of your life before they're born. Water. Babe, do you like water? Yeah, I really like it. I like it when you freeze it and make ice. Yeah. They're not talking much. That's probably the bit. Or he's trying to be like cool dad. I mean, cool boyfriend. Cool dad. He's like, I like Katy Perry. Yeah, I love Katy Perry. And she's like, babe, stop it. I bet she calls him baby. Oh, I know what she calls him because I read over the weekend that here's how they found out. They found out because she had a relative that was sick and went to the hospital to visit and he was with her. And so one of her relatives was like, something's weird about that. Why is Mr. Hooker? You are a smelly pirate, Hooker. Why is Mr. Hooker with her? Why is Coach Hooker here? Yeah. Shouldn't he have practice? And so they looked at her phone.
And she had sent a message. Oh, I just remembered. She sent him a message calling him her boo. He's like, and what does boo mean? I'm not familiar with this new terminology. I'm your boo. I'm your boo. Yeah, I read that there was about 8,000 text messages. 8,000 text messages that they found between the two of them before she turned 18. Sayonara, pal. If they investigate it and they find, well, they can't. How can they prove it? They can't prove it. She is saying, hey, he never touched me before I turned 18. And he's like, yeah, I never did. What can they do? Unless they say anything explicit in their text. Still, that's not proof of any sexual contact. Question for Lauren O'Brien. Yes. If I'm going to paint a hypothetical, I want you to tell me okay or not okay. Okay. Unmarried man, 41 years old.
meets a girl at the gym who's 18, and they hit it off, begin dating, and move in with each other. What are your thoughts? I'm skeptical as that guy's friends and as that girl's friends, but it's possible. There's nothing wrong with it. It's not for me. It's weird. It's not for you. Yeah, but I'm not like, how dare you? I say there's nothing wrong with it. Right. Morally, there's not. What do you say? I say morally, there's nothing wrong with it. Well, I wouldn't want them to live together. Right. Until they got married. Until they got married. But I think it's very creepy, for sure. I mean, but if he's a single guy, look, I got a friend that's about your age, Mike, 41, still single in Dallas. You know, I had a date with a 22-year-old. That ain't much different. It's not much different, yeah. That's not much different. There's exceptions. Like, some 18-year-olds are very mature and, you know what I mean, they're ready to grow up real fast.
What about an 18-year-old guy and a 41-year-old lady? There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. It feels real good. There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. So that one's easier for you to call than the other way around. Yeah. Right, because men are disgusting creeps. And women, you know, are just sexy when they're older. Good for her, you know? Good for her? It doesn't happen that often. Good. Good for her. She must have money. Now, listen, his buddies are telling him, hey, not bad, pal. Not bad. I guess. Aren't they? This guy's buddy? Or the 18-year-old? Aren't they? The 41-year-old guy's buddies. I bet you some of his friends have, like, teenage daughters. Oh, you're right. I bet they're jealous. Gosh, that's creepy. It is creepy. Nerds were pretty upset, man, over the weekend. Comic-Con selling out. And Comic-Con, they messed things up. There was a problem with the online deal. Oh, no.
There always is. Well, here's what they did. So, first of all, you had to get your wristbands to even be able to buy them beforehand. And if I'm wrong, somebody call me and say, no, you're getting it all wrong. You had to get an ID. You had to get something before you could even buy them online. And then they went on sale online. Well, the way that you were supposed to do it is Comic Con sends you an email. You click on the link and you go there. Right. You buy your badges. The link wasn't clickable. I think that somebody does this on purpose. Yeah. I think they do. Just to freak people out. Just to, like, there's a couple guys sitting there like, watch this. I'm going to send this out for a little bit. I'm going to make this link unclickable. Watch the freak out. Well, here's what you had to do. You had to copy and paste the thing into the browser. And then it would work. But you couldn't click on it. Well, you figure most Comic-Con people are nerds, so they would know that. I, that crossed my mind. Right, yeah. Because I even would know how to do that.
You're not smart enough to figure this out. I wouldn't think about it. One person took to Twitter and said, thanks for that email link. Can't believe I'm not going because you guys can't operate your business correctly. Oh, my God. I bet, like Woods is saying, it was probably another nerd that was like, watch this. If they don't know how to copy and paste, they don't deserve to be here anyway. Wait a minute, wait a minute. You're saying Tiger Woods is one of the people that run? Yeah, get his cameras out of my face, damn it. So I told you we were going to tell you about this. Woodsy is going to tell you all about Sean Payton in some hot water. Hot water. Well, man, we want to say congratulations to the San Diego State Aztecs. They claimed a share of the Mountain West Championship with New Mexico, and they will be the number one seed in the conference tournament that starts next week in Las Vegas. It was a crazy game in Fort Worth, Texas.
They were down 18 points. They blew an 18-point lead, came back and won in overtime 98-92. So congratulations to the assets. Also, Denny Hamlin took the checkered flag in Sunday's Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix. This is Denny Hamlin after the race talking about how good it feels to win and be a part of it. You know, a new surface is not particularly my forte. And so to be competitive under these circumstances, it just... Kind of reminds me of 2010 where we were winning at tracks that no one expected us to win at. Yeah, that was the race that they were all worried about getting to. Yeah. Remember, they postponed Daytona a little bit and they're like, dude, we got to get our cruise to Phoenix. Right. So everybody got to Phoenix. Denny Hamlin is your winner. There you go. So this story, man, is dominating SportsCenter. It's dominating. It's like news. It's everywhere. Bounty Gate. is what they're calling it already, Bounty Gate. Greg Williams was the New Orleans Saints assistant coach and helped with the defense there. Apparently, they maintained a bounty pool of up to $50,000 for the last three seasons. Now, what a bounty pool is means, hey, you knock out Kurt Warner, you knock out Brett Favre, we're going to give you an extra $1,500. If they get carted off... $1,500? Yeah, $1,500. If you get a...
A card off. Doing serious damage to somebody for $1,500. Correct. And if they get carded off, we're actually going to jack that up a little bit and we'll double or triple that if you do it in the playoffs. Holy cow. So they're telling them, you know, before games, hey, look, Bounty on Favre is $1,500. He gets carded off. We'll throw an extra grand in there. If it's a playoff game, it's double or triple. He's admitted it and said, yeah, I did it. He says, quote, it was a terrible mistake. And we knew it was wrong while we were doing it. Now, the interesting part is he left the Saints. He was hired as the defensive coordinator for the Rams. He's going to be working with Jeff Fisher, maybe. But Sean Payton, the head coach of the Saints, knew about all this, didn't do anything about it. It's a major, major problem. They're also investigating all the other teams where he's ever worked. He was the defensive coordinator in Tennessee. Washington, and Jacksonville, and was the head coach of the Buffalo Bills. So this guy has been doing this bit for a while. And it's, I mean, look, 22 to 27 defensive players involved in the program. Oh, wow. And, I mean, gosh darn, you can't do that. Don't you get fined, though, if you make a dangerous hit on, like, especially a quarterback. Right. Yeah. So how do you get away with it? I mean, you're fine. I mean, the fines are, you know, 10, 20 grand, aren't they? Yeah. They are. And they're, I mean, they pay the fines, but.
It's one of those things where you don't have to hit a guy dirty to knock him out of a game. You just want to knock him out of the game. Isn't that the goal? I mean, not the goal. Isn't that part of the game? I mean, not if your point is to take him out of the game, but your point is to hit him as hard as you can. You know, Mike, it's interesting that you say that because I watched that documentary on Joe Namath. It shows guys that respected Namath and respected the game. If they were going in for a sack, it was almost like they babied him a little bit because they realized, hey, with Joe Namath out, that's not good for the game of football. It's better with him in. It's a respect, right? And Peyton Manning, you know, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Phillip Rivers. Do you want to see Billy Volek play or do you want to see Phillip Rivers play? And I think that's why the NFL started to. make the fines as bad as they are because they want to stay profitable. They want to stay profitable. And the way that you stay profitable is having big superstars play the game, not sit on the sidelines in a cast. Well, think about this. Let's say it's baseball. And let's say I'm a pitcher that can throw 100 miles an hour like Steven Strasburg. So let's say that the Yankees' best hitter comes in. Why wouldn't I just throw at him every time? If that's the goal, to hurt him and knock him out of the game, why wouldn't I just drill him? Well, the goal is to strike him out.
The goal is to strike him out. So if you're just striking him out, you're doing your job. Right. But I'm, I'm, I could hurt him really badly. And it's their best player. I could hurt him. It's contact with football. Yeah. The goal is to always get him down. So it's like. You got to get him down. Get him down extra. Dirty. This is getting him down dirty. You know, and it's just such a massive. I can't, I can't imagine that they're going to let this guy continue to coach. I can't. Am I a monster if I don't think that there's anything wrong with a bounty? Yes. And the reason that you're a monster is because, by definition, the bounty is about hurting someone. Correct. Or it could be like a sales commission. Yeah, right. It's like a commission. Yeah. Can you just do the same thing? Like, hey, every time you sack him, you get $1,500. Yes. Why did they do that? Why didn't they say that? A lot of sacks.
You don't have to kill them. That's what I'm saying, man. $1,500 to these guys? That big a deal? Chump change. It's pride. It's a pride thing, too. Maybe the guys that, like, don't get a lot. No, these are the big names. I mean, if you're a starter, these are big names. Guys like Roman Harper. I mean, this guy was fined $15,000 for roughing the passer, $7,500 for unnecessary roughness. And he's doing this stuff because he plays under this bounty mentality. Yeah. M1 Travis from Encinitas, what was the word of the day? Goat, brother. That is right. Word of the day was goat. And you just won yourself a four-pack of tickets to go to the Nationwide Series when it comes to town, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the Auto Club 400. Oh, hell yeah. Hang on the line. Right on, brother. There you go. You can call in about that. You can call in about. What you think about the bounty. You could also call in with am I a monster stuff. I love the am I a monster stuff. Am I a monster if I do blah, blah, blah? You got one, Woods? Oh, yeah. I told you guys earlier that I pitched yesterday and I drilled a kid. He's a 21-year-old kid. I drilled him in the back as hard as I could. Oh, Woods. And I did it on purpose. Why? Because his teammate broke an unwritten rule of something that you don't do. What did he do?
I was pitching. He was the leadoff batter. I went to 3-0 on him. So I'd thrown three balls, no strikes. So I was, you know, gearing up for my fourth pitch. Right. And he leaned out and did the bunt thing where he moved his bat, like a little Bush league, little leaguer. And he was doing this bit, and I walked him on four pitches. And I was mad. So the next guy just hit in the bat. Wow. You don't do that. On purpose? Yes. What? So wait a minute. I thought the unwritten rule was that they do dirty for dirty. Not to the same, it's your teammates going to get got. Right, right. But I thought it was like if they hit your guy, you're going to hit their guy. Oh, yeah, that's another part of the unwritten rules. I've never heard of this particular. Oh, yeah, don't be Bush League. Bush League is, if my team's up 15 runs and one of my guys steals a base, if I'm at bat, I'm going to get drilled. I'm expected to get drilled. Because you don't steal bases, you're up 15 runs, douche. But how can you help what your teammate does? That's the deal. Everybody has to know the rules or your teammate gets in trouble. And I know this. I've heard this about baseball. It's part of the game that I don't like. That's okay. That's okay. We're all different. It's them's the rules. They ain't written down, but they're the rules. Did he want to come after you after the game? No. He's a kid, but he probably knew. Idiot. Don't do that in the box. Their picture should have thrown a ball at you. Absolutely. They could have. No.
They struck me out three times. They have better sportsmanship than you, is what you're saying. No, I know the unwritten rules. I'm a good sport, but don't do Bush League stuff. That's not a good sport. It's in the rules. It is the unwritten rules, though. I wouldn't teach my kids that rule. I don't agree with it, but it is. I wouldn't teach my kids that rule. Well, you don't have to, Jay. You know who does? Major League Baseball does. Why don't you guys play football if you want to play a contact sport? It's not contact. Question Woods. It is. Would you teach your kids the unwritten rules? Absolutely. I'm teaching my kids the unwritten rules of baseball. That is dirty. You're a monster. Look. If I hit a home run and I stand there and admire it like some D word, if I hit a home run and I'm like, oh, yeah, and I flip my bat, you know what happens to the guy behind me? He takes one in the ear. And why? Because I'm a douche. In the ear? In the ear. You could kill him. In the back. You asked if you were a monster. Yes. I'm not a monster. Check, please. I reserve my judgment. For the unwritten rules. For the unwritten rules. But I just want to walk you through it. I got some questions. Okay. How do you teach your kid the unwritten rules and at the same time teach him to be honest and honorable? It has to do with being honorable. Not being Bush League is being honorable. Not taking an extra bag. Not admiring your home run. That teaches him not to be honorable. Now, if my son is a pitcher, and there's a kid he plays for the Nationals. His name is Bryce Harper. They call him the natural.
This kid could be the greatest baseball player ever to live. They showed a clip of this guy last year. He hit a home run. Mike, when he hit third base, you know what he did to the pitcher? What? He goes and blew a kiss at him. Dude, the next guy, if I'm pitching, I'm going to, you're done. You're done. And then that guy has got to tell his teammate, you know, hey, dude, don't be blowing kisses at pitchers. So you're telling me that you will take your son aside? Absolutely. And you will give him this sort of. Wisdom. You're going to tell him. Wow. 100%. And not only am I going to teach my son that, I'm going to teach your son's that. I'm going to teach his son's that. You're officially not allowed. Them's the rules. No, he'd be grounded. If he did what? If he hit a player on purpose with a ball. You guys don't know anything about baseball. You don't know a damn thing because I'm going to teach him. I'm going to teach him to drill him right in the back. That's right. It don't hurt him. I mean, it's just.
It won't hurt him? It doesn't hurt him. That kid's fine today. I don't throw that hard. You fracture the spine. You don't break it. Come on. You're just fine. Let me hit you with a ball in the back right now. I mean, hey, don't do anything, you know, dickish and I won't drill the next guy. 5701949. I'm not a monster. I think you are. I'm not. I know you are. Gosh darn you guys. An eye for an eye. The whole world goes blind. You don't get it. Ella B. Yes. If you think that Woods is a monster. You got to think the whole Major League Baseball is monster. I don't see that happen all the time. Every time. No, I don't. Not in the baseball I've watched. You've never seen a beanball war? I don't know what a beanball war is. Guys throwing at each other all game. I've seen guys hit each other. Right. That's a great game to watch. And I think to myself, what a D that pitcher is. What a baby. What a horse. No, you know what that pitcher is doing? He's defending his teammate that got drilled. It's payback, and it does happen in the big leagues. And I'll tell you, if you're a rookie pitcher in the big leagues, and one guy on your team gets drilled, and you go out there, and you don't drill the first guy that comes up, you're ostracized. You're done. They're like, look, come on. You got to stick up for your team. Dirty game. Sounds like a great game. It's so great. Let's see. I'm not a monster. M1 Bobby does not think you're a monster. Are you there, Bobby? Hey, Mikey. Hi. Love you guys' show. Thank you.
Hey, I'm actually calling in about the bounty. Oh, the bounty, yeah. Yeah. Hey, you know what? I agree with you, Mikey, on this one. I don't really have a problem with the coaches giving out a bounty to players for knocking guys out of the game. I played football in high school, and, like, there's not really, I mean, obviously you don't get paid in high school, but, like, coaches give out incentives and stuff. Like, if you make big plays in the game or you're making sacks in the game and stuff, obviously it's not money, but they're putting stars on your helmet and they're encouraging that kind of thing. Sure. There's nothing wrong with making big plays. I think that where it gets weird is taking someone out of a game because by taking someone out, you probably have to do something dirty. Sweep the leg. Which is not in the, you know, that's where it gets weird. By the way, Woods mentioned earlier.
Is the deadline 1 o'clock today? 1 o'clock to franchise Vincent Jackson. So conventional wisdom says they're not going to. It's going to cost $13.7 to do it, which is half of their cap money. On one dude. Now, he's good, but that's half your cap money. You do it for Phillip. Yes. You do it for Phillip. Yeah. That's it. But you don't let him get that far. There's no way. Where do you franchise him? There's no way they franchise him because they also know he wants to stay, like you said. I don't think they franchise him. There's no way. I mean, you know, it's the weirdest football team in the NFL. You never know what they're going to do next. Truly. I mean, we all think they're going to go this way. They go the other. So surprised by nothing. We'll see. Contrary to popular belief, there's a new study that says that sleep actually improves as you get older, which that does surprise me. I would think you sleep better as a teenager. But you don't. Time Magazine just did a thing. They said that people in their 80s get better sleep than any other age group. Jay, right? Right. Not really. I don't think so. Yeah, they said that when older adults did complain about sleep, it was usually a sign of other health problems.
Otherwise, they've slept better than young adults. That's crazy. Wow. Crazy. Nobody sleeps like young adults sleep, dude. They'll sleep all freaking day. Apparently, 80-year-olds do. I don't know. They could fall asleep in a chair. My mom could fall asleep. She'll be talking to you. Like, how are you sitting up like that? It's so uncomfortable. Is there anything better than recliner sleep? Oh. Falling asleep in a recliner? You just melt. Yeah, you do. You become one with the recliner. Yes. Wake up in the same position. Still got your chips on your chest. Yeah. What's going on here? You wake up, you got a blanket over you. That is good stuff. Blanket fairy came in the middle of the night. Coldplay is having some regrets for naming their album Milo Zyloto or Milo Zyloto. They thought it sounded cool. It doesn't. It doesn't sound cool. No. They thought it sounded cool. Yeah, it doesn't. That's why they named the album that. But apparently in most countries where they sell the record, no one can say it. And you can't tell your friends like, oh, go pick it up. It's not a memorable thing to go tell your friends the name of the album. Have you guys heard Milo Zaloto? Say what? Yeah, Milo Zaloto. How do you? It's not like a weird band. It's Coldplay's new record, Milo Zaloto. Do you know how to spell it? I don't. Oh. Well, the second part, X-Y-L-O-T-O. Come on. Get over yourselves. Yeah. Who are you? They go on tour April 17th here in North America. No news on if they're going to be here.
I'd see him. Oh, yeah. I've seen him so many times. I'm out. Really? Yeah. I've seen him like four times. That's plenty. Over the weekend. Cold played out. The Lorax was the big winner. Dr. Seuss is the Lorax. $70.7 million. Wow. That's a huge open. That's a big open. You know, they released it on his birthday. His birthday was on Friday. Dr. Seuss? Yep. 109? I don't know. I think so. Project X came in second place. Made 20.8 mil. You know what that is? No. It's modern day animal house. It looks hilarious. All the way in. Yeah, it's about a bunch of... About two hours. Two kids who throw a party that are kind of nerdy. And I posted the link at one point. And it goes crazy. The trees are in fire in the neighborhood. People are jumping off the roof onto... There's donkeys in the backyard. All the way in. Jay gets real upset if he posts links and we don't see him. Then we don't see him. Why don't you look at my links? He gets very mad. Rotten Tomatoes, 20%. What does that mean on Rotten Tomatoes? That means it's terrible. Terrible? I don't think 20% is bad though. That is. No, it's awful. It's a clover and not a tomato. If it's good, it's tomato. If it's bad, it's a clover and it got a 20 clover. And it was like, Moneyball was like 94%. Wow. So was that Mission Impossible ghost protocol.
was rated real high. That movie's a heart attack, man. That Mission Impossible, that is a heart attack. I'm hearing conflicting reports on Act of Valor. It's the Navy Seals movie? Yeah. Some people say it's good, and other people say it sucks. It's absolutely terrible. It came in third place, made $13.7 million. Isn't there a Baldwin in it, and it's not Alec? I don't think so. I heard there was. It's a documentary-type movie, no? Act of Valor? Yeah. Uh-uh, it's a film. It's a film. About the Navy Seals? Yeah. It's not a documentary. No, it is not. Oh, I'm out. Oh, wow. I want to see real Navy Seals or I don't want to see them. Do you know Sarah Silverman might have a new TV show? NBC comedy? Jeff Goldblum might be playing her ex? How come you don't like Goldblum, Woods? She just annoys me. Really? Yeah, I've never liked that dude. Well, they just shot a pilot. Here's the idea of the pilot. She plays a 30-something woman adjusting to single life after a decade-long relationship ends. That's NBC's new bit. Yep. They've got Whitney Cummings, Chelsea Handler, I guess now Sarah Silverman. Yeah, you get your pilot. You're not a female comedian unless you have an NBC pilot. Yep. Make that right a little bit. I can't. Come on. Sarah Silverman does not belong on network television. She's dirty. She's too dirty. They will completely ruin her bit. Right.
She's too dirty. She's acting. She's not being herself. There used to be a redneck comedian named Rodney Carrington. He was dirty. He was funny. He was dirty. I only gave him a TV show. You can't do that. You can't put him on primetime because that's not what he is. You can't put Richard Pryor on primetime. Eddie Murphy. You know why? Because they're not cute. And that's what primetime is. Cute. And that's why you love them because they... Shock value. Yeah, because they're cute and they say dirty stuff, much like somebody that I sit next to in this studio. That's a true story. If I'm on the radio, I can be networked. Oh, yeah, totally. You're the exception to the rule. But the stuff I say on stage. I like the top. That is crazy. Stuff I say comes nowhere near Sarah Silverman is filth. Yeah, filth, filth. Pink has been on hiatus. Her husband, Carrie Hart. They just had their first kid, Willow Sage. But she's back. She just tweeted that her hair is pink again, and that means that when she does that, when her hair is, she's like freaking Puxitani Phil. Yeah. She comes out of her hole and her hair is pink. Literally her hole. Literally her hole in her backyard. Yeah. Her dirt hole. She comes out and sees that her hair is pink, then it's time to record. She should dye her hair a normal color and record something good. Yes.
You know, she is an exceptional singer. No question. Great voice. Incredible voice. She should strip down all that nonsense and do a real record. She said, okay, the hair is the palest pink. You know what that means? New record time. Let's go make some tunes. Looney tunes. She needs some help with her tweeting, but she does have a good voice. She's a great voice. That's a remnant of old west-northwestry swell, all but gone and buried in a mega high tide this morning. Most spots either flat or running in that ankle knee-high zone. Top spots might see an occasional waist-high wave or two. Again, tide is high, so look for some slight improvement later in the morning as the tide does back out. Beach break's looking really clean, just micro out there. Reef breaks for the most part, nothing to be had there. Harder cloudy skies will greet you. Calm the light offshore winds as well. At the lake. And Jay. Just because I like to be outdoors, you guys like to make fun of me. On FM 94.9. Ronnie Montrose passed away. Kelly B was very broken up about it. Yeah. Yeah, she was like, who is that? Sammy Hagar used to sing in FM. So my brother calls me on Saturday morning, and my brother Steve, and he says, what time does Good Morning America come on there? Because he lives in Arizona. I said, seven. Why? He said, the first story that they're going to do is about the tornadoes. The second story I was a part of. So I turn it on. Sure enough, big story was the tornadoes. But after that, there was a helicopter crash in Coolidge, Arizona. And my brother filmed it. He was there. They were filming a TV show. A Korean film crew was out there.
And my brother was there with someone else doing an assignment. By the way, I would have had my brother on the air this morning, but he is on a new assignment on a cruise ship going to Jamaica. I know. Terrible. Terrible. And so what you're about to hear was an interview that I did with him yesterday because it was on Good Morning America. It was all, I mean, people were writing on my Facebook page, just saw your brother's thing on headline news of this helicopter crash. When you hear the name Natalie, I want people to know that that's his girlfriend. So when you hear Natalie referenced, he's talking about his girlfriend. But I had to tape this using my cell phone. And so you're going to hear when I talk, it's a little louder than when he talks. But this is my brother explaining this helicopter crash that he filmed. And he's explaining who that film crew was.
You know, it was a Korean crew. You know, they had a huge jib. There was a guy in a lab coat just like on Top Gear. The way I could describe it is I was facing forward, and the helicopter and the Corvette were basically in front of me about 200 yards. But when the helicopter came back to make its path to line up with the Corvette, you know, it would get closer to us. But this time, it came next to us. I'd never experienced that. I was like, oh, my God, I've got to shoot this. I turned my camera on as he rolled over my left shoulder. And that thing just screamed over the left. And then it went down. When it went down, when it went down, was it like just super noisy? It was so violently noisy. And you know what, dude? I could have sworn when it tossed over me, I was like, man, that doesn't sound right. And then when it hit the earth, I mean, you just knew. And when you watch the tape, it doesn't sound right.
There's something about it. When it crashed, first instinct to run over there? No, my first instinct, when it hit the ground, there was just this huge explosion of dust. And rotor blades were flying. And if you can see in the tape, they're coming at me. Now, let me explain this. To the left of me were two guys in, I guess I would describe it as a bobcat. And I was looking through my viewfinder, so I didn't really notice. anything that was going on around me, other than the fact that I was being hit with dirt, and I was just kind of frozen filming it. And the guys next to me, I looked, I kind of took my eye out of the two-finder, going live on the left, and they're laying down screaming at me, get down, get down, get down. And Mike, I'm the stupidest guy on the planet, dude, because I'm looking, I'm just standing there like a moron, you know, filming. And I'm like, what am I doing, man? And then it hit me, you know. The dust was everywhere. And then I just see the one guy get off, run into the frame with his... He takes his shirt off or his jacket off. He runs over. I think he takes his jacket off because he thinks there's a fire and he's going to start patting stuff out. Right. Which, you know, awesome for him. The metal was just... The only way I can describe it is metal, dirt. I felt heat from the engine because I was so close.
Holy cow. Right. Yeah. Oh, man, what? Holy cow. And the guy in the back is turning the engine off, and he's kind of communicating with the guy in the front. He turns the engine off, and those dudes, those freaking guys, man, those studs, man, just crawl out of that aircraft. And you're like, how is that possible? There's no way. Let me tell you this. The guy that I went down with is an ex-military.
And he said, if you Wikipedia, a Cobra attack helicopter, or you watch any Discovery Channel, QE attack helicopter footage, they're going to explain that that thing is a tank. And the inside of that helicopter is built to take that impact. Wow. I know you've got listeners that know everything about that. They'll probably chime in on it. I don't know. Well, dude, listen, the proof is in what happened. Those guys came walking out of that aircraft, did. So did you have trouble getting to sleep that night because of the adrenaline? You know what? I met Natalie around about three hours after that. Now, keep in mind, we had to fly in a little Cessna back to Phoenix. So I was, you know, I remember asking my buddy, I go, Hippo, are you okay to fly? And he was like, yeah, thanks for asking.
And he was, you know, we went through the whole checklist. I met with Natalie, and she's like, are you okay? And I was like, yeah, I think so. She's like, you look okay. I got home, dude, and it was crazy. I watched the footage on my, you know, I edit with that Apple 30-inch monitor. Right. And I put the card in to watch it, and I just started crying again, man. I don't know if I'm just a big thief. No, dude. I mean, to see something like that happen in front of you, you're short. that lives were lost but uh anyway i'm gonna let you go man but thanks for uh telling me giving me all the details that was a great storytelling man pretty nuts huh wow wow dude gosh darn i mean just the fact now he and i are so different he he is the guy that will roll roll tape on everything i'm the guy that never has the tape rolling right And he'll tape stuff all the time. If he's got that video camera, he is running it. He is a talented, talented dude. He is. One thing, I'm so proud of my brother. I really am proud of Steve. I think he's such an incredible videographer. And he can't, he's not even hearing this right now. But his website's Echo Star Cinema. And he's just such a, he taught himself. He taught himself. He went on to like YouTube and figured out.
by watching YouTube how-to videos, how to become a Steadicam operator. And he's now a licensed Steadicam operator from watching YouTube. Dude's legit. He's legit. Yeah, I mean, and he's been able to shoot a couple of movies where he's the Steadicam operator. So cool. And he knows how to edit, and he just, you know. Listen, here's the deal with my brother Steve. He's not going to cure cancer. However, that guy can do some stuff with video. Like, you wouldn't believe. It just shows that he's a pro, that he kept, his instinct was to keep rolling. Yeah. And despite, like, what was flying at him and thinking, you know, there's a crash and possible danger, he's like, no. Yeah, he kept filming. It was so weird to me looking at Good Morning America. I'm watching Good Morning America, and it says, Steven Esparza, Echo Star Cinema. Wild. Your parents must be proud of you guys. It was so funny. My brother Steve goes. Have you talked to mom and dad? And I go, no. He goes, I've been trying to call him. It's busy. My dad put it on the cradle wrong. Oh, no. Yeah. So finally got a hold of my dad. Oh, no. Freaking dad. Yeah. And I know my dad so well. I knew what his reaction would be when I told him about Steve. I knew that his reaction would be very loud laughter. And it was.
I knew when I said Steve caught this helicopter going down, Dad, and it's on Good Morning America. Burst out laughing. That's my dad. That's pride. He's proud. Yeah. The laughter, a lot of laughter. Maybe pride equals laughter. Did he say no kidding afterwards? No kidding. No, he said something like, that Steve. Yeah. And he's right. Steve. My brother, he's just got a lucky thing. The dude will be on this cruise this week and there'll be some freaking killer whale mating and he'll get it. You know what I mean? He'll get like a shark attack or something. And he's also got this crazy luck where when he's trying to get his business going, he'll meet some guy that's friends with some guy and, you know. I've been to his house in Phoenix and it's cool. I mean, you see pictures of Bono and The Edge. where he was filming them, and he's one foot away from the Edge's guitar. And you're like, gosh, beautiful pictures. Great pictures. So, yeah. Anyway, he's going to Jamaica. He invited me. He invited me to Jamaica. He said all I would have had to pay for was my flight because he said everything else is paid for. That's legit. He quit his job. He used to be a sales guy at a radio station in Phoenix. He quit, and now he's just doing video. Wow. Having a ball. Having.
The time of his life. It's awesome. Good for him. Do what you love. Yeah. We did a segment on the Mikey show of I Shouldn't Be Alive and got the coolest calls. I mean, the coolest calls from people that were like, that dude that called and said that he was held up. Oh, man. Yeah. Riveting. So, we said we got to bring it back. We got to do Shouldn't Be Alive Part 2. So, call us. 570-1949. If. you have experienced something where it's a real life, I shouldn't be alive. Much like those helicopter pilots. Exactly. Ab-solutely. That was our inspiration. Dude, yeah. Like, there is no way in the world that those guys should have walked out of that plane crash, but they did. No, sir. I watched the footage. He nosedived the pilot, you know, nosedived into the ground, and then he walked out and was dusting himself off. How insane is that? With no gear or anything like that, just dusting himself off.
Steve said you could smell the fuel and everything. Just petrifying. I know. And then the other thing that I thought was so strange about it is having to get on a little Cessna afterwards. Forget it. Wow. Because they had to fly back to Phoenix. I was a hitchhite. Yeah. With all my gear. Greyhound. Yeah. Greyhound. Cab. 18 hours. Done. Done. I'll walk. Yeah. I'll hitch. A four and a half day walk, but I'm going to walk. I'm doing it. Yeah, I don't know that I'd be able to get in an airplane. After I just witnessed a helicopter crash to get in a Cessna. Your chances are pretty good at that point. Steve and I are also wired differently in that he's squeamish like Woodsy. Yeah, I'm way squeamish. I'm not squeamish, so I would have been right. Steve didn't want to see anything gross. What if somebody had their hand cut off? I don't want to see that. You'll never get to see that, though. Great. I hope so. I would never be able to sleep a day in my life. You can't do it. I looked into the back of an ambulance the other day in traffic, and I got squeamish. All I saw was the EMT. I love the rescue. Oh, not me. Oh, yeah. Not your boy. Came up on many car crashes where I've helped out.
Yeah, and I, well, he's taking the hero angle. I was taking the curiosity angle. You just want to look, you weirdo. That is weird. Morbid curiosity. I will call the cops. I will call. I'm a big caller. I'll call. But I ain't. I'm not going to go tying tourniquets in there. Well, yeah, Jay. I mean, I'm not going to, like, sit there and put, you know, fold my arms. Oh, I don't want to see it, but I want to help if I can. Oh, I want to see it. Oh, no way. I don't want to see it. That's the whole term. Looking at a car accident, people, that's what it comes from. Because people love to. That makes me crazy when people just pull over to watch and they slow down. I am not the slower down guy. I don't slow down. Anything I've ever come up on, the ambulance has already been there. Yeah, exactly. I can't imagine coming up, being first on the scene with something. Forget it. Let's see. M1 science teacher is on the line from OB. Are you there? I am here. What happened to you? Well, when I was in third grade, we had, the way our house was set up, our yard was on the second level, and the garage was on the first. Right. And we had a fence that went around, and I used to, like, lean on the fence and hang, you know, so my head was down by my knees, like, over this railing. Right. My mom used to say, don't do that, don't do that, you're going to fall, right? So she'd always yell at me and make me go out. Well, one day she wasn't home, we were with the babysitter. Uh-huh. And I did fall.
What happened? And I landed on the railing of the first floor. Oh, gosh. Oh, my gosh. But the way I landed, I kind of landed on my waist on the railing. Oh, gosh. So my head hit my knees. Oh, my gosh. And I got a bruise on my head, but I didn't die. Was your mom mad at you? Oh, my gosh. Yeah. That scared and mad and scared. Well, yeah, because anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. It's one of the three. She was scared. And now I'm a mom, and of course. Of course. You'd be pissed. Yeah. I tell my kids that story. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you for the call. Yeah, make me nuts. You tell them, and then they do it, and they get hurt. I was watching this weekend on TV. They had this, there's a whole show, but they take the comedic angle of like. Home videos of people getting, you know. Yeah. Hitting the nuts and stuff like that. Hitting the nuts always makes me laugh. Hitting the nuts is always funny. Hitting the nuts is always funny. The reaction of, oh, it's always good. It never fails. Yeah. Never fails. But they had some that were just crazy. A guy on a ATV hits something that makes the ATV stop, but his nuts don't stop. Oh, no. So the ATV comes to a direct stop. Right.
His nuts continue to plow into the handlebars of the ATV. M1 Dan from Fallbrook, what happened to you? Well, when I was on my first day of college, going out to Arizona ASU was the end of a Cardinals game when they still played at the stadium there. And I had no clue of the orientation of the campus. So I'm out with some friends trying to basically, you know, meet up and get. you know, some refreshments. Get your drink on. Exactly. Mind you, I'm 18 years old. I just bring my, I had a 1989 SR5 truck. You know, they had like a standard three inch lift. Yeah. Yeah. Story in a minute. And, and I had my two suite mates from, from college. You're like, yeah, let's go. So we go over, we meet, I had a camper shell with a tinted back and we go where one of our 21 year old friend kids that we met. and loaded the back up with a bunch of natty eyes, of course. And so we're like, all right, we've got to get back to the dorms. And we had bumper-to-bumper traffic all the way around. I had no clue around campus, so I make a left.
and like 20 people follow me. Meanwhile, I'm driving through campus on a sidewalk. Uh-oh. Not good, not good, not good. First day, first day. Yeah, first day. First day of college. All right, and so I'm getting nervous, and I'm starting to drive faster because I'm getting real nervous, and I'm having people go, whoa, hey, and like flipping me off, getting real pissed off. Yeah. And I don't know what's going on. Meanwhile, you know, the guy sitting next to me, sitting on my center console, because it was a bucket seat SR5, one of those single cab ones. So dangerous. So, oh, dude. So then the campus police pulled me over. And I'm like, oh, I'm done, dude. I'm going back home. You know, I'm like planning out my horrible future. And meanwhile, I left mom and dad at dinner who said, go be safe. Right. Oh, go be safe. First day. Identical safe. Because 20 other idiots. First of all, he walked around my truck. with his light looking through. And because it was a tinted camera show, he didn't see any of that beer. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, because you would have gone to jail. Oh, for sure. Yeah, and meanwhile, the guy's like, yeah, the guy that didn't know really well, I'm like, excuse me, I just put paraphernalia in your glove box. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. Wow, Dan, you were batting 1,000, weren't you? No, it was just the greatest day of tragedy. All right.
So anyways, he says, all right, I'm going to let you go because we need to get these cars out of here. So just go down that road and make a left. So he lets me go. I drive. It's just a warning. He took my information down, and I drove off campus and was making a right and then had to turn left on a U-turn. and it's still busy as all. You got to get to it, Dan. Come on, come on, come on. Make a U-turn, and I turned left, but it was a green light, not a green arrow. Oh, no. You have to heal, and then, boom, get T-boned. Truck turns over on its side. Oh, my God. I saw it in the last second. Braced my left foot down, and literally, it tipped my truck. There's beer all over the center intersection. Oh. Crawled out the top of the window all of us. First day of college. First day. First day of college. Be safe, honey. Wow. Thank you for the call. Hey, you paid off, buddy. It took you a while to get there, but you paid off. We have a call right now. I read the description and went, what? Serial killer saved my friend. Oh, yeah, we got to get this. No, is that not it? Is that wrong? That's what it says. There's a number you can call for free historical information and a free DVD. But first, it says that during the Great Depression, people were clamoring for gold coins because no one wanted to face economic turbulence without the security of gold. The government finally took them out of circulation, and a government meltdown was ordered.
That's why most of us have never even seen a classic U.S. gold coin. But recently a stash was discovered in Europe, gleaming U.S. gold coins minted between 1866 and 1933, all uncirculated. It says the New York Mint is releasing them to the public on a first-come, first-served basis when you call, here it is, 1-800-900-9517. Wouldn't that be amazing to hold U.S. history? It's an I Shouldn't Be Alive story where a girl saved her friend from a serial killer. Wow. Was the San Diego State going to be getting a stud? Yeah, they picked up another cast off from USC. His name is Bryce Butler and was just not a fan of the way that Coach Lane Kiffin was treating him. He will have one year of eligibility. He's 6'3", 195. Oh, wow. He's very mature. He's got the build, the speed, and he's going to be a great pickup for the Aztecs. He's going to be an Aztec. Well done, yeah.
A guy that would have been playing for SC, playing for the Aztecs. Correct. Pretty nice. Yep. Okay, so I got to hear the story. Janelle, are you there? Yep, I'm here. Okay, so what happened? Well, I got to tell you, I'm the same girl who called in with three stories before. Oh, my God. Being held up at gunpoint and being almost on the plane that crashed skydiving and being on the plane that lost an engine. During the commercial break. L.O.B. said, I think she's called in before and had a couple of stories. L.O.B. is like an elephant. Yes. She remembers everything. Poor man. That's me. So go ahead. What happened? I was really young and it was late 70s, early 80s. And me and my neighbor were just walking around our cul-de-sac. And there was this serial killer at the time who dressed up like a clown, had this orange-ish brown band. And he was for kids with candy dressed up like clowns. And he was trying to get us. And he started walking over towards the van. It was parked really near my house. And he starts running over there. And I run after her and I grab her. And she's pretty much right by the doors. And the guy is leaning out. And I just grab her hand and I pull her. And I run us into the house. And we run away. He starts trying to get out of the van.
And we got into my house that was able to lock our front gate, and we got in, and we found out from my mom and dad that that's the potential serial killer who's been out and had killed a couple kids. Oh, my gosh. Where was that? It was in Encino in the San Fernando Valley. How long ago? Late 70s, early 80s. Oh, my. Oh, man. Creepy. They ever catch the guy? Yeah, they did. That's good. Oh, my goodness. That is a wild, wild story. Oh, my gosh. Thank you, Janelle. Yeah, I was just taught by my parents to be very cautious. Oh, yeah. Stranger danger. Absolutely. Stranger danger. That's why clowns are so creepy. Yeah, I know it. I know it. That's why right there. Thank you. Let's see. M1 Winder is on the line from San Marcos. Winder, are you there? What's up, guys? What happened? It was a long time ago. I was about 18, maybe 19. I was surfing one day. It was really big. Oh, no. Oh, no. John? Did you hit the mute button? Mr. Winder? Yeah, I did. I'm not good with this iPhone. Yeah, he's got fat cheeks. He's got fat cheeks. I do that with my cheeks all the time. He's got fat cheeks. It was a pretty big out, and I was pretty wore out. I was paddling back out through the set, and kind of was beat, trying to catch my breath, and I tried to take off on this right backside.
And I was out of breath, and I took off on a lake, take off, and got pitched over the falls. And when I did, I don't know how it happened, but my leash got wrapped between, like, around my foot, my big toe, and then around my neck. Oh, wow. Oh, gosh. So my head was, like, tied to my foot. So your toe is, like, yeah, like, pulling your head down. And it's, like, it's wrapped around it, but I couldn't get out of it. Oh, my gosh. So I can see the sun, like, shining through, like, probably four feet away. Oh, my gosh. Five feet. That's worse. That's the worst. Tombstone. Oh my gosh. Dude. I don't wear a cord much anymore unless it's really, really big. He never does. He never wears a cord, ever. Dude, that is creepy. Yeah. That is creepy. And you shouldn't be alive. There's no way. Thank God there was some lifeguards there. Yeah, those guys. Yep. Thank you for the call, Winder. Dang. All right, guys. Have a good one. All right.
Man, dude. That's my biggest fear when I'm out there. I don't think about sharks. I think about getting held under. That is so creepy. Held underwater. Woodsy went out to a 7-Eleven and found a bunch of items that are close to the actual retail price of a gallon of gasoline. Right here in San Diego County. Right now, gas in San Diego, on average, $4.37. Steep. Oh, yeah. So what we're going to do is we're going to get somebody on the line. What do we get as a prize, Jay? We have a $50 gas card from the Mikey Show. Nice. All right. Who's coming on down? We got Rick.
From Escondido, come on down. You're the next contestant on the gas price draw. Sorry, I lost all my air there. Are you ready to do this? Yeah, I'm ready. All right, dude. So I'm going to give you the item, and you tell me if it costs more or less than $4.37. Are you ready? I am ready. One. 3.25-ounce bag of Jack Link's Beef Jerky. Is it more or less than $4.37? Man, is that the big bag or the small one? It's the 3.25-ounce bag. I'm going to say more. You are correct. Oh, yeah. Got to get three out of five. Got to get three out of five. Okay, here's the next one. You ready? Yes. Now, you got to guess if this is more or less than $4.37. One three-pack Trojan Condoms Pleasure Pack. Is that more or less than $4.37? Less. I'm sorry, but the actual retail price of the three-pack Trojan condoms pleasure pack is $4.49. I'm just going off memory here. You got to get at least three out of five, so try to get this one right, buddy. One bar of Axe dry deodorant. Is that more?
or less than $4.37. That's less. It's actually more. It's $4.99 for a bar of Axe dry deodorant. Wow. Now, you've got to get the next two correct. Come on, Rick. You can do it. You can do it. You got this. You got it, Rick. Are you ready? Yeah, I'm ready. All right. The actual retail price of gas right now in San Diego County is $4.37. What about a can? of tire inflator. Is that more or less than 437? That would be less. Less. Oh, no! So, so sorry. Ricky. All right, dude. Oh, poor guy. Ricky. He started so hot. It's a beautiful letdown. Yeah, it is. One for one. I know. First one right. Can a tire inflator. I thought he'd get that one right because that stuff ain't cheap. No. $5.99 for one can. Wow.
A pair of Pugs Gear work gloves. That's less. That's $199. Yeah. Go figure. I'll tell you. You got to know your stuff. I was talking to my friend this morning in 7-Eleven, as I do on occasion. Yeah. And he told me that prices of everything, because gas prices are so high. Prices are raising on everything. Yeah, it's true. Oh, no. Perfect. Because they've got to drive it. Yeah. It's more expensive to get it there. Oh, boy. Everything costs a little more because it takes long to get here. He's right. Awesome. He is 100% right on that. He was sweeping the porch of the 7-Eleven this morning, and I had been ready to go for about 15 minutes and standing at the counter. Wait a minute. And I mean outside. When you say the porch. Yeah, the outside. Do you mean where they keep the swing? Yes. They're where they keep the swing. Where the 7-Eleven keeps the swing. Do they have, like, flower beds? What do they call it? The sidewalk. I'm sorry. He was sweeping the sidewalk outside and I'm standing there. Driveway. Walkway.
Through the window going. That guy will complete his whole work schedule. He will knock out stuff and take a break before he will check me out. Wow. That's a true statement. It makes me insane. Every day. You haven't said a word. Not a word. The average price of gas in San Diego, 8.7 cents more than it was a week ago, 58.3 cents higher than it was a month ago, and 53.7 cents higher than it was a year ago. It's a dollar less in Texas. Yeah. How is that possible? More oil down there, Bill. Yeah. Really? More refineries. I mean, here in San Diego, last week, we had the highest prices in the nation. I think it's got to be the additives that we put into it to keep the smog down. He's always got a theory. I think California adds something to keep the smog down. That's true. So it costs more. Maybe. They treat it. In Beverly Hills, a cupcake bakery called Sprinkles is now opening up the world's first 24-hour cupcake ATM. You put in a credit card, and then you pick the cupcake you want, and it shoots down at two. Oh, my God. You're not only the member, you're a president of the club. He blew it. He blew it. It would have been fun. It would have been good. You're not only a member, you're the president. He had it planned. It was good. When he wrote it, it was a slam dunk. But in the presentation, when he actually had to get the PowerPoint out.
That's where things started to fall. He tripped over his tongue. You can hear him revving up for you. I heard it. I heard it. I'm going to get some breathing going on out here. I heard it rev up. Jay's still tired from the weekend. I heard it rev up. I twitch. You're not only the president, also a client. You're a client and an addition. You're not only a member, you're also the president. You're just the president of the members. You're a member, all right. Members only. Mike. Oh, the cupcake ATM. In. All the way in. I'm all the way in. It's my microphone. When I breathe too heavily into the microphone, it makes that noise for five seconds. Really? It's a product of the microphone. Oh, interesting. Wow. Who is the guy, though, that needs, he's got to have that cupcake? It's 1.30 a.m. It's in right there. In Beverly Hills is what shocks me. I know. I really need a cafe mocha cupcake from Sprinkles. Well, I mean, if you're there, why not? Well, we crave burritos here in the common folk area. But in Beverly Hills, they're like, I need a Sprinkles cupcake tailored to me. Wouldn't you be in on that? Oh, yeah. Of course. Survey of 18 to 25-year-old women say that they'd rather have big breasts than a higher IQ. Gets you more these days. Oh, boy. Well, probably all days, actually.
Well, doesn't it make you feel good, too? Yeah, I wouldn't know. I don't know. I don't have big breath. It does make them feel good. Yeah, they feel real good. Yeah, I mean, I don't know what you'd put up against a higher IQ anyway. I don't think, you know, even guys. Oh, I would love to be smarter. Really? Heck yeah. I'll give you 25 IQ points if I could have the perfect body. Done. I'll give them to you right now. You can take them. No working out, just good to go. No way. 100%. What do you do with all those brains? Right. I'm giving them away. Figure stuff out. Great. You're great at Parcheesi. What are you going to do? Master of useless knowledge. Perfect. Yeah, look at her. She can spell. That's all people would be like. Yeah, look at you. No way. You can tell me the price of tea in China. Yeah, higher paying jobs, cure cancer. Bigger breasts can get you higher paying jobs. Higher paying jobs, but it doesn't really do good for the greater good. That's true. If you go online to date, which that's a thing now.
It's a modern day bit. People do not think poorly of it anymore. Ten years ago, it was desperate if you did that. Twenty years ago, you were a sex pervert. Oh, yeah. Twenty years ago, you were driving a white van. How long ago did you online date, Mike? Well, Lauren, I've been married now for a number of years. So where does that put you? Are you the white van guy or are you just a freak? Technically, I suppose I would have. Would have been the white van guy. You were like a minivan with the wood paneling on the side. Yes, because I wasn't big enough to be the white van guy. White van guy, but you had like wood paneling on the side of your van. It was like an odyssey, like a Honda odyssey. Past the 90s, and we were like, why does that guy still drive that van? I was trying to close business. Yeah, trying to close business. Online, real good. No profiles, though. You just kind of started up chatting. Yes, I had.
Oh, you did? Yes. It wasn't the stone ages. When you would put ads in the paper, did you write them or did your buddies help you write the ads? I wrote them. M4W. Yes, M4W. Mature W. Oh, dang. She told you. So you were SMM, single Mexican male. Yes. SMM. And they would have to ask, what is the middle M for? Mexican, of course. Mexican, of course. SMM for SWF. So these are the things that you should not be putting on your profile. That you're down to earth. Yikes. Don't put that. It's what I would put. It's meaningless. I'm down to earth. Down to earth. What's the opposite of down to earth? Up to space. What? Up to space. Up to space.
Come on. What is it? Out to space. Woods, what's the opposite of down to earth person? Pain in the balls. Yeah. High maintenance. High maintenance. High maintenance. Yeah. So it's meaningless. You put down to earth, it's meaningless. Yeah. Doesn't mean a thing. Don't put this. I love to laugh. You're a dork. You're a dork. No one would pick me. No one would pick me if I was on my face. Oh, really? Yeah. You love to laugh, eh? I do. Unlike most people who just despise it. Who doesn't? I love to cry. Yeah, I love to cry. It's a priority for me. Above money. Oh, is it? Above money. Above money. I love to laugh. I love to laugh. I'm just out in the fields running around trying to laugh. The fields. Tickling myself out in the fields of Heather. Because I'm down to earth. Tickling yourself doesn't work. I've tried. Everyone loves to laugh. Don't put on there that you just want a nice guy or that you just want a nice girl. Don't put that. I can clue you in. They don't exist. Oh, Woods. No, they don't. Nice guy? Yeah, they don't. I'm engaged to one. Every man has a little dog in him, LLB. Matt at some point had a little dog in him. Every person has a little dog in him. Exactly. They don't exist. You're a nice guy. Am I? Aren't you? Am I? Is he? He is. Is he? Hey, for as much talk as this guy does, he would never do anything unscrupulous. No, I'm devoted to my beautiful.
Big-breasted bride. Unlike me, who says, I like to look, I just don't like to touch. That's right. But in reality, all I do is touch. All guys love to look. Don't lie. Yeah, all guys do love to look. I'm just honest. I like to touch so much. Oh, my gosh. I ain't honest when I say I don't like touching because I do like touching. Mikey's over there. I don't touch. I don't look. I've never touched or looked. I want to look and touch. Touch and look. I want to be called Mr. Touch because I love touching that much. I'm the guy at the concert that touches but doesn't let you know I touch. I touch and run. I do a touch and release a lot of times. Touch and release. I love a good touch by. You get in a crowd. They don't know. You grab a boob. Nobody knows. And let go. Ladies, you know how you always sometimes be like, hey, did someone just rub up against me? Right. Who was that? That was Uncle James. That was me. Y'all ever been in a mosh pit and them girls jump off the stage? That's the best time. You can grab anything you want. I'll grab mosh pits for that reason. That's right. I start mosh pits at any kind. Alanis Morissette, I don't care. I got one going out here right now. I go to Lilith Fair and all I do is mosh. That's right. I'm the one and only person to ever start a mosh pit.
At an Alyssa Etheridge concert. Alyssa. Marissa, dummy. Yeah, it's Marissa Etheridge. Marissa Etheridge. Dummy. All right, here's the last thing that you do not ever want to put on a profile if you're trying to date online. Don't put that you love life, dork. Don't put that. Such a dork. I love life. Oh, look at Lauren. Look, she'd do that one too. I would not do that one, but I can't tell you how many people I see on Twitter that are like, just a mother of four, just loving life. Oh, no. I love life. Just online shopper, blogger, and lover of life. Lover of life. A lot of lovers of life on Twitter. Oh, I love it. Don't love life. Don't love life? Just love it, but don't talk about it. Love it all you want, but... Love it, but don't tell me about it. Stop being so proud of it. Don't imply that I don't love it. Right. Yeah, and I don't need to know. Yeah. I assume you do if you're alive. You're alive. Your loving of life is your freaking business. Yep. Adopt a don't ask, don't tell policy. Yes. Love and don't tell. Love and don't tell. My freaking stomach felt dynamite this morning. Woke up this morning, felt dynamite. First day, hadn't experienced pain.
I sit in that chair, bingo, bammo. Nice beaver. I hope. I got a CAT scan this weekend. I hope it's something so that Jay, whatever it is, I hope it's something that Jay goes, son of a bitch, I am sorry. Dude, it could be cancer and he's not going to give you a breather. I could have cancer of the stomach and he would go, eh? That's why you should be walking more. Yeah, exactly. You need to walk it off. I told you so. You brought it on your shelf. You know who doesn't get stomach cancer? Eating McEats a lot. Yeah. The guy that walks. Fatty McFatterson. It's funny because he's fat. So, Justin Bieber was given a gift by Ryan Seacrest. And I don't know how meaningful it was for him, but Ryan Seacrest said, and I quote, I've known you for a few years. And I've been waiting for this moment because there's something I've wanted to give you on your 18th birthday. And I couldn't give it to you until you were 18. It's something that I love. My buddies and I used to use this quite a bit when we were roommates. It's a lot of fun. Wiener time. It only complements any type of relationship that anybody's in. I've gotten you a Costco membership.
Yo, man, it creeped me out. Man, when he did that long, like, what you call it? Like, preamble? Yeah. And he, like, I didn't know what he was going to be giving me, but. He thought it was going to be maybe like a. I didn't know what it was, girl. What did your mind go to, Justin? Something nasty, man. Dirty. Something dirty. Dirty, man. Right. I mean, you know. And you're just barely turning 18. I just turned 18, man. Still didn't get my cake. Do you see yourself going to Costco and actually picking up goods? Yo, man, I ain't. I got, man, I got people that go. Yeah, man, I ain't going to go to no Costco. You don't really need anything in bulk. Get me my hair gel and all kinds of stuff that I like. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. My rubbers. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Your what gel? My hair gel. The gel for my hair, you know, when you put it on. No, I don't know what that is. What is that? It's like, um, like I use crew. You ever heard of crew? Yes, it's a men's hair product. Right. But why are you talking that way? You're a white kid. That's how I talk. I ain't white, by the way. You are a white girl. I'm black. And you are infatuated. Black as night. With cake. I love cake. Yeah. I didn't get a birthday. Hey, man, what'd you get for your birthday? Did you get a cake? Yes. Yeah, well, I want one too. 18. It's a big era. I can buy cigarettes. I can vote. I can go to war. I ain't gonna, but I could. It's a big era. Yeah, it's a big era for me, man. I want a cake. Player? Player. Freaking Costco. You can get a sheet cake. Yeah, great.

Why don't you go to createyourdesignonline.com, have Jared hook you up. Or if you have a website you're trying to put together, he can do that for you too. But Jared over at createyourdesignonline.com is absolutely the best and will dial you in. So on the cover of the UT today is one of our sponsors, Jerome's, on the cover of the UT today. Why? And this, I mean, you talk about something that sells itself. This is part of the reason that I want to be in partnership with Jerome's. They're on the UT today because...
4,000 ads later, these guys are still in business, and it's the way that they've been doing business that's kept them there. First of all, they were called Streps Warehouse when they first started, Jerome's. LOB's in one of their commercials on television, too. Oh, three. Three, uh-huh. Black dress, white dress, red dress. There you go. Angel. Only strangers call Jerry Jerome. Yeah. Everybody calls him Jerry. But they have a new commercial where it says Advil, $9.99. Walgreens Generic, $3.49. What's the difference? Just the price. Same's true with memory foam mattresses. This is a business model that doesn't fail. I mean, that's just the way, that's the reason that they're on the UT today. But Jerry's gotten to be a very well-known celebrity here in San Diego. He didn't ever want to be on TV. His old man.
was same business, right? So his dad, back in 72 or 73, he can't remember, they're driving to a studio in Tijuana to go shoot a commercial. His dad's going to be in it. He didn't want to be on TV. And they get there, and apparently the actor that's supposed to be in it, finger quotes, doesn't show up. He thinks now, in retrospect, his dad planned it that way because his dad wanted him in the commercials. And he kept saying no. And so his dad went and his dad freaked out. What the heck's going on? You know, he's all upset. Where's the actor? I can't believe that no profession. Son, can you step in here? He stepped in. Now we're 44 years out. Business is still thriving. And it's one of the stories today on the cover of the UT. Wow. I will say that I don't have the memory foam type mattress, but I had back problems forever. And I got one of.
Jerry's mattresses. It was the most, it was the least expensive mattress I've ever bought and I wake up without back pain. That's pretty badass. Yeah, it makes so much of the differences in the bed. Yeah. So much. Uh, Jay, condoms are now required for porn actors in LA. Knew it. Yeah. What has that done for you? Like, do they make you buy it yourself? Yeah, do you have to buy them yourself? I'm not a porn actor. You get them in bulk. Do you get them in bulk? Like, are you like a Costco? I don't need them normally with one woman. But you always tell us off the air about your porn stories. Right, your porn stories. You rush out of here and go up to the San Fernando. No, that's you. You're your shoot. You're the porn actress. You call it your craft. Good one, Jay. You're the porn actress. You're a hooker. You are a smelly pirate hooker. Yeah, the mayor of L.A. signed an ordinance that said that now if you film in L.A., you got to wear a condom. What's that you say? So you're saying, in fact, emphatically, yes. I wonder if they'll be skin colored. Nobody else wondered that? I could hear Emily laughing through the wall. Everything is full motion. Damn. Nobody else wondered that. No, I hadn't wondered that.
Just to keep with the integrity of the film. Yeah, to keep with the integrity of the shoot. I'd say candy striped. Oh, no. Oh, no. I just got weak. I'm weak. There you go. I wonder, I wonder if there'll be skin color. That's what she wonders. I thought you guys were wondering. I thought everyone was going to be like, oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I wonder. I was wondering, too. Wow. Here are some myths. That, you know, your mom has always told you. It's just a myth. Right. About getting sick. Cover your head. You don't have to cover your head. 85% of moms believe that you're supposed to cover your head. You don't have to cover your head. It only feels that way because your face is sensitive to heat when you're sick. Right. Covering your head doesn't do anything for you. Makes you warm. Get plenty of rest and do not exercise when you're sick. 72% of moms believe that.
It actually isn't true. Getting your rest is true, but exercising actually makes you feel better. It's tough. Yeah, it's tough to do. I was taking care of my sick fiance this weekend, and I would not let him go for a run. Yeah. You should. You should. I told him he had a fever. I was like, nope. Burns it right out of you. You ever heard the starve a cold, feed a fever, or feed a cold, starve a fever? I've heard the starve a fever. It's a bit. I just feed them both. Yeah. Figure that's always a safe bet. You should always eat well. You should always be hydrated. 40% believe it. It's a myth. It doesn't do anything. If you go outside with your hair wet, you're going to get sick. No, you're not. Fake bit. No, you're not. My teachers used to yell at me in the middle school. Yeah, you're not. I wish you would have had this info. Yeah. That article. So you could have said to them, no, you guys are wrong. Cover your mouth with your hand when you sneeze. Wrong. Wrong. Elbow. Elbow. Elbow. The crook. The crook of the elbow. It's, you know, the hoof. The hoof, the paw. Paw. You won't go blind either. That is also a true statement. Doesn't have anything to do with being sick. Right. Jay just wanted to get a masturbation reference. No hair on your palms. Sometimes you need to. Yeah. I got the manliest dogs. I got the least manliest dogs. Oh, boy. Oh, boy.

Speeds in the teens right now. There was a car fire. They should be mopping that up and should be out of the way pretty soon. 67 northbound. Some delays from Maple View Street to Winter Garden Boulevard. Those speeds about 26 to 34 miles an hour.
And you do have a delay on the 805 northbound Claremont Mesa Boulevard, Balboa Avenue. It's going to take you some time. Those speeds in the teens right now. This report also brought to you by Wawanese Insurance with roadside assistance. They're one call away. Always 1-800-640-2920. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I'm not macho. Woods. I've never realized how fat I was. Until I got on a skateboard. Oh, wow. Lauren. I like it. A guy that's off Facebook is cool. And Jay. Oh, the recliner's mandatory. On FM 94.9. Imagine a world where no music was playing. It's not going to come as any surprise to anybody that the English Bulldog is the number one most manly dog. It's pretty hard ass. English Bulldog. Yeah. Rottweiler, number two. Another hard ass. German Shepherd, number three. I love them. I want one. They do seem sweet. They're so smart. They're so freaking smart. I like them when you put a little handkerchief around their neck. Absolutely.
Absolutely. That's probably our next dog. It's a good one. German Shepherd, yeah. But I thought you only liked the little ones you could put in a bag because you ignored your lap. I don't ignore my black one. But you ignored your lap. I don't ignore him at all. Because he can't fit in a bag. He doesn't fit in a bag. Yeah, I remember him. I see him and play with him every day. I know, but he's the one that you don't talk to. You don't like him. I love him. I know, I don't like him. I love him. I never said that. Usually you have like cute little ones. Yeah, I never see him. I've put him up there. He's been up there. Made me once. Cuddly. Great Dane, number four. Too big for me. Those are too big. Intimidating. Intimidating. I see a lot of women with Great Dane. Yes. I think it's like a protection thing. And Irish Setter came in number five. Gorgeous. Gorgeous stuff. Way too hairy. Much like Jay. These are the... Jay's the Irish Setter. Yes. J.P. Long Balls. Jay, the Irish Setter. 100. 100. Tippi Long Balls. Tippi Long Balls. Tippi Long Stocking Balls. You say it fast, it's funny. The least manliest dogs. Number five, the Shih Tzu. You can't say that. Did you dump that? Number four, something called a Papillon. Papillon. Great movie with Dustin Hoffman. They're so girly. They have a little pointy face and then a little...
Like a little lion's mane around with their little pointy nose. They're so cute. I thought that's what you had to get with your OBGYN each month. That's a pap smear. Oh, is that a papillon? It just flows off the tongue, doesn't it? He just delivered like Dangerfield. Stop thinking up lines ahead of time. Stop thinking up lines ahead of time. Just let them roll. It's like you can go to the OBGYN. There it is. You get the papillon smear. Papillon. That's me enough. Number three is a pug. There's nothing more. Oh, they're cute. Really? Oh, they're cute. They're so cute. I don't think of those as good dogs. Those aren't girly. Just with that bottom jaw just sticking out. So cute. Yeah. So cute. Love pugs. They're so cute. They're like pigs. Yeah. Poodle is the second least manliest dog. Yeah, yeah. Men should not have poodles. No. No. You shouldn't have a poodle, unless your wife passed away and you're still caring for that poodle. Yeah, you're still taking care of it. Yes. My neighbors have a fence up, and every time I run by, there's a sign that says, like, beware, and then there's a picture of a poodle. And I thought they were just being funny. I ran by the other day. This poodle came prancing down the yard, barking at me. I was just dying. You're like, come on, dude. Prancing. You're like, what are you going to do? Show dog me to death? You're going to do 360s. You're going to outperm me? Outperm me.
The least manliest dog is the Chihuahua. How many do you have, Mikey? Do your Chihuahuas wear sweaters or, like, vests? I don't have any. Do they wear... Tiny sombreros? Yeah, sombreros. I don't have a Chihuahua. Don't you? I know, you have several. You have several. Do they wear bandanas? Or do they wear Hawaiian print shirts? Oh. Oh, they do. Like their owners? Yes. I don't wear Hawaiian print shirts. Don't you? Do they make Tommy Bahama for Chihuahuas? They do. They do. I don't have a Chihuahua. Don't you have several? You have a couple of them. A hundred? You're a dealer. You're a breeder. Yeah. I'm not a chihuahua dealer. Then why are you trying to sell us chihuahuas right now? Constantly. I have enough. I don't need any more dogs. You're always telling us about the newest hot sauce and all your chihuahuas you've got available. Am I always telling you? Always. You're always walking around here saying yes.
Hot sauce. You're always saying, yo quiero Taco Bell. That's right. That's true. You think it's funny. Your shirt with yo quiero Taco Bell on it. All right, my stupid bobblehead chihuahua over there. My shirt with yo quiero Taco Bell. You're like jealous of Paris Hilton's chihuahua. Yes, that's right. You guys. You and your Mexican-ness. Can shove it. It's what defines you. It's what defines you. Let's see. The Lorax was number one this weekend. 70 points. $7 million. Shocking. Wow. I want to see it. I'm going to. Yeah. Take Jasper. Project X came in number two and Act of Valor came in number three. Safe House number four and Tyler Perry's Good Deeds number five. How are his movies still even getting made? And they just kill. Let alone being in the top five. They just kill. He just kills it. That dude's worth billions of dollars. Gosh. My brother Mark loves those movies.
I know. I bet you'd get him for that, too, so bad. I don't. You should. I don't. Is he like Big Mama's house, too? Oh, yeah. Martin Lawrence. Loves it. Big Mama's house. Just black guys dressed as women. Yes. It's his favorite type of humor. And I announced it earlier, but I think it's worth mentioning one more time. Ronnie Montrose passed away. Yep. Earlier, L.O.B. said, who's he from? He's from Montrose. He was 64. Say how he passed away. I saw a bunch of guitar players like Slash. People of that ilk were very upset. I'm tweeting about it. Big Ronnie Montrose fans. Oh, there is a quote. He passed today. He battled cancer. Man, so Davy Jones and then Ronnie Montrose. They were taking advantage of the Davy Jones thing on TV all weekend long. Did you see a lot of Monkees stuff? There was like marathons. How they love to do that.
We just, we are a society and a culture that loves to pick the bones. It was the day after Whitney Houston's death and I turned on the TV and freaking bodyguards on Lifetime. Then it's on pay cable. And it's like, I'm wondering, like, is there a guy in like Milwaukee that gets a call from his boss and he's like, he's like, yeah. And his boss is like, hey, you need to make sure you get the bodyguard into programming. He's like, but I've got something lined up. Yeah. But you got to get the bodyguard. You got to get it on. And when it ends, start it again. Start it again. Hey, we're not going to get hurt playing it. People are going to want to see it. Yeah, just keep playing it over and over and over again. I guarantee. Vultures. And when that's done, you know, like if it burns. Yeah. Just start playing our music. Yeah. On television. Just our videos. Just put our videos. Yeah. We're so weird. But we're stars. Like our channel is the stars channel. Why are we playing music videos? Well, because we have to take advantage. We have to leap. We have to. Get it while the iron is hot. Yeah, strike while the iron's hot. Yeah, or get it while the iron's hot. Or get it while the iron's hot. Either one. I was going to say, I don't think that's the same. Get it where the iron's hot. Where the iron's hot is not really. Jay was away for the weekend, and after visiting with his mom, drank a barrel of wine with his sisters. Oh, my gosh. I'm tired.
Barrel? Barrel. At least. At least. Oh, my gosh. We were drinking the black box of wine, the boxes of wine. Oh, my. A box of wine will get you. You guys classed it up real good. Oh, my gosh. There was wine spilled all over the place, and we stole glasses from the winery. I would have loved to have been a fly on that winery wall in a second. I bet that southern accent just starts kicking. Hey, girl. It's funny. This winery in Texas or this whole area is the number two in the world, just right behind Napa. For wine production? For wine production. Wow. Oh, my gosh. I had no idea. Are you for real? I'm for real. It's written on a plaque. I know. And that's what I was thinking. I wonder if they could just say stuff. Because, like, what are you going to do? Oh, yeah. Go count the grapes? Right. You going to check it out? No, it turns out you guys are fourth. Yeah. You can't. Liars. Yeah. I mean, you can't test it. Yeah. But fun weekend, Jay? Oh, my God. It was a blast. Yeah. My mom actually knew who I was. It was kind of a blast. That's awesome. His mom has Alzheimer's. She recognized you? Well, not at first. At first, she said I looked familiar. And then, which, you know, I mean, you take it with a grain. She's 90. It was her 90th birthday. So I get to hang out with her. And then before it was all said and done, she goes, hey, James J. Good to see you. I didn't expect to see you here. I was like, I didn't expect to see you here. That is very cool. Do your sisters think you're like a superstar? No, they know me. They do listen, though. They stream. Like one of them streams every day. I had no idea. And I was like.
Oh, no. Really? I need to watch what I say from now on. Yeah. She knew everything about all of us. That's cool. I live in, or my parents live in sort of a small town, you know, and so my mom works in a doctor's office, so she sees everybody in town. And so everyone's under this impression that like, oh, big superstar moved off to California. Yeah, I love it. I love it. It's great. Nope. Hey, we just started a thing on Facebook on our fan page. It's the J-Rap. So if you want, tomorrow Jay is going to sing a rap and M1 Nation is writing it. So go there and add to it. Start adding to it. Just add a line. Jay picks his own beats and picks the good lines. Yeah. Makes the good ones already. Getting some good lines. So go there right now and do that. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. We will come back tomorrow morning at 530 and do this all over again. The Mikey Show's out.
