Mikey opened the show by showing off the T-shirt Woodsy got from a Dallas Mexican restaurant, while Lauren O'Brien revealed she became an auntie twice in three days. The team then dissected a harrowing Prius accelerator‑stuck incident on the 8 freeway, praising the officer’s cruiser maneuver that stopped the car. Later they celebrated Alice in Wonderland’s record‑breaking $116.3 million opening weekend, highlighted Aroldis Chapman’s 100 mph debut, and noted Antonio Cromartie’s trade to the Jets amid jokes about his seven children. The segment closed with Sienna’s confession that she loads up on junk food when shopping hungry and Woodsy’s quip that marriage adds a 'relationship 15' to waistlines.

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. Welcome to the program. Give us a call. Our number here is 570-1949. You could also text message us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Love to talk to you this morning. What do you got on your mind? You can call us and tell us. It's The Mikey Show. Mikey Show is made up of five... And I would say that we are definitely five very different personalities. But that's kind of the way that it is with your friends. You find that you have a group of friends that's usually very diverse. And that's what we got going on. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 39 years old and wearing my new favorite T-shirt. Which is the T-shirt that Woodsy brought me back from a Mexican restaurant in Dallas.
called Esparzas. And I've never had a shirt from a Mexican restaurant with my name on it before. So I'm very happy about that. I had to do some wheeling and dealing to get that shirt too, dude. Because they don't sell merchandise there. Yeah. And so they had it because that's what the kitchen staff wears. Those are kitchen staff shirts. I had to wheel and deal with the manager. Good thing the kid's good at sales. You are. You could talk somebody in. I mean, you got to hear Woodsy working on people. It's pretty awesome. He could sell a... Catch a popsicle to a woman in white gloves. That is great. That is the truth. That's a kid. Yeah, Woodsy is 34 years old. His history, when I met him, he was in sales. Yes. Young buck. That's right. You were brand new at it, right? Yeah, I think I'd been there three or four months. I'd worked promotions before that. And then they said, this guy's wasting his talents over there in promotions. Get him on the phone. I told Woods, I said, he should have been.
on the radio his whole life. He's just founded at 34. Yep. But he should have been on the radio his whole life. Now, let's see. Sienna is 24 years old, now married, and designed her own wedding ring. Not mine. You didn't? No. He got mine. I designed his. You designed his. Yes. I designed my other ring that I wear on my right hand, though. You showed me that one, and it's really cool. Thank you. I do not have the ability to do things like that. So that's kind of cool. Lauren O'Brien is a stand-up comic. And she's also our assistant producer. And now she is an auntie. Twice over. How about that? Twice in three days. That's insane. I know. That is crazy. How weird is that? No. It's pretty awesome. 3,000 miles apart, but two little cousins. Your brother, your brother's wife had a baby. On Friday. Friday morning. And then your sister had her baby yesterday, right, here in San Diego. Yeah, Cecilia Carolina. How happy is your mom? Oh, my gosh. She's beside herself. How fun is Christmas going to be in the next couple of years, man? That's the best. I know. Our house is, like, all the kids have grown up. So it's literally a bunch of, like, people sitting around pretty uncomfortable. Yeah. No little kids. Each opening one present. Yeah, no little kids running around. So, Lauren, when are your parents going to, where does your brother live?
My brother lives in New Jersey. Is that where your parents live? Uh-huh. Okay, so they're there enjoying the baby. When are they coming out here to see the new baby out here? Well, my sister was two weeks early, so they're not coming until the first week in April. Got it. They already have, like, reservations all taken care of and everything. They're probably going nuts. I know. I'm sure. Good thing for Skype. Yeah? Oh, yeah. Yep. And good thing for emailing. Gazillions of pictures. Yeah. And picture messages on phones and whole nine yards. Can you do me a favor? What's that? Can you take the jacket off and let us see the T-shirt you're wearing today? Because Lauren O'Brien is wearing a T-shirt every day this week. She is proving to the world that women can wear a man's T-shirt and be proud of it. It's Matt's. Are you sure? Pretty sure. Is this medium? It doesn't look real big. We didn't put guidelines on how big it has to be. It's not the T-shirt. It's a T-shirt. T-shirt says bus drivers do it between runs, which is interesting. That's strange, odd. Can I just say, too, that my niece saw me for the first time yesterday wearing a giant wolf T-shirt?
Was your sister like, what are you wearing? She was out of it. I pointed it out to everybody in the room and they were all kind of like. Yeah, that's funny. I have to say something now. I'm just going to go ahead and say it. Go ahead, Sienna. So the whole reason Lauren's wearing a shirt is because. T-shirt. A T-shirt. Right. hopefully she wears a shirt every day, is because last week we were talking about, you know, things that you wish you could do that the opposite sex can. I said, I wish I could wear a loose-fitting T-shirt. Lauren said, you can. All women can. So this week she's wearing this shirt every day. However, she said, you know, she was going to do it comfortably. She wasn't going to feel sloppy. She's going to feel normal. That's right. As soon as Hillary, midday DJ, comes in yesterday. Lauren says, oh, by the way, I'm wearing this for the show. Oh, I love it. This is a bit. I love it. I love it. She had to explain why. I nailed her on it. Well, it was more than just a t-shirt. It was a wolf t-shirt. It was a wolf t-shirt. But you chose it. Don't matter. And she looked at Lauren, too. Like, she kind of was like, hi, Lauren. Sweet outfit. How are you doing? I said, by the way, I'm wearing this for a bit. Of course. Because she looked at the wolf t-shirt like.
What? You were coming out of your skin, I bet. Yeah. You were coming out of your skin. I wouldn't say anything about this particular t-shirt. It was just the wolf. That one's cool. I hate the wolf t-shirt. It's the worst t-shirt ever. It's my fault for wearing it. I know it. You know what is even better about it is that she tells her boyfriend, don't wear that shirt, which makes it even better that she had to wear it yesterday. To the hospital. I know it. I have to wear it. I chose to wear it, which is worse. That's worse. Yeah. Well, I give you props. And today, it looks like she's attempted to roll one of the left sleeve up. And the right sleeve is completely rolled down. She had her smokes in there. Yeah, she had her smokes. I have my pleather jacket on over this. That's fantastic. That's awesome. So we'll take a picture. And each day, we will post a picture of L.O.B. wearing her guy shirt. Did we get the wolf yesterday? We took a picture, but we got to get it posted. Okay. As long as we got the pic. Yep. Jay's our executive producer. He is 46 years of age, and he is here with us as well, and you can call us if you'd like. Our phone number, 5701-949. Something you can know about Jay, he is extremely healthy. Jay is a very healthy eater, and the guy does a lot of exercise. He surfs. He does that kind of stuff. He really does. He does a lot of it. Give us a call, though, and text messages. Did you hear about the Prius yesterday on the freeway?
This is one of the biggest stories out there right now. Dude, this is... Insane. There was a Prius over in Lakeside on the 8 freeway here in San Diego. It was a hybrid electric sedan, actually. And the accelerator got stuck. We all know Toyota's been having problems with over 8 million vehicles, which have been recalled. So this guy starts going over 90. Cannot control the speed. Keeps getting faster. He's panicking, calling 911. Oh, my gosh, my Toyota. The accelerator's stuck. This is happening. What do I do? What do I do? They got a police officer over there caught up with it. him pulls up next to the car as it's speeding down the highway right over in lakeside and the guy gets on his loudspeaker and instructs him what to do and he's like all right what you're gonna need to do is um you're gonna need to use your emergency brake and then turn off the engine no way to just pull the emergency brake wait what's he no way i don't know what i i would probably ride the
The guardrail wall until the car stopped. I could not do the emergency brake at 90. But what if it was traffic or something? I mean, it was 1.30 in the afternoon. There wasn't really any traffic, you know. But what if it was traffic hour and you can't stop? Dude, I'm telling you, I do what I am told. No, Woodsy. You would be like, I don't trust it. I don't trust it. I'd be scared to death. I would be too. I would have to do it on my own. Really? Yep. I would have to. Dude, that means that if you're in an airplane. And you put the things on because the pilot died, and they're like, okay, this is going to sound weird, but I need you to shove the yoke forward really fast. That's different, man. I've never flown a plane. I drive a car every day. I mean, I would have my natural instinct to slowly ease into the guardrail and slow myself down. No way. I would do it because it's my control. Well, here's the deal. I bet these cops have been. instructed in case such an event comes up. I'm sure this guy did awesome because it worked when the hybrid slowed down and was almost stopped. The cop car got in front of it so that the hybrid's front bumper hit the rear bumper of the cop's car so that it didn't pick up again. It was stuck. He felt like he had to go to that extreme of measures.
The most interesting thing about this story to me is that I didn't know Priuses went 90. That's really the thing I was most surprised about. I had no idea. Topped on it like 60. Like they're just booking it at 60 miles an hour. So James Sykes was the man driving his hybrid and he did great. 61 years old. He's the man. I would have flipped out. Here he is talking about it. Trying the brakes. I was on the brakes pretty healthy. It wasn't stopped. It wasn't doing anything. It was speeding up. It just kept going. Dude, the thing that's even scarier about it is that you're thinking to yourself, eventually I'm going to run out of freeway. Yeah. It's like speed. Yeah. Eventually I'm going to run out of freeway or I'm going to have to turn. Oh, dude. to get onto another freeway, and it ain't going to be a 90-mile-an-hour turn. Imagine just driving in your car on the freeway to Diego in 65. I'm sure he was going around there. All of a sudden, your car just starts picking up. Your foot's on the brake. It just keeps going faster than you're over 90. Well, you know that feeling when you're, like, let's say you're heading up to Carlsbad. Isn't that the, that's the 8, isn't it? No. What is that? The 5? The 5. You're on, I don't know. Well, it's just moved here from Texas. You're on the 5.
You're on the five and, you know, like you kind of come around a turn and sometimes there'll be traffic. Right. And it's, you know, there's somebody pulled over. So everybody's slowing down. Can you imagine hitting that turn and going, oh, perfect. I'm going 90 and I can't stop. And there's cars slowed down in front of me. There's a lot of in and out traffic on the eight. Yeah, for sure. So many. Oh, it makes me sick. Makes my stomach turn. That's why I can't wait for flying cars. Once we have flying cars, we don't have to, you know, just fly around everywhere. You can just go up. You can go down. You can go down. Never. Just go around in circles. Yeah, just crash in the air. Go around in circles, too. Give you no chance of survival. Oh, man. The whole thing is scary. They held a vigil last night for Amber Dubois. Yeah. And what was the deal? I guess a whole bunch of people got together, and was it a candlelight kind of thing? Yeah, it was. There was over 1,000 people there, and it happened right outside the Escondido High School, right by the spot where she was vanished.
And a lot of people came out there. Her dad spoke. Her mom spoke. And her dad talked about Amber's favorite animal, which was a wolf. And he said, you know, wolves hunt together to catch their prey and that parents must band together to protect their children. You know, every time we see a child walking alone now, it scares us. And I mean, it was really sad. And John Gardner, now the lead suspect. Yeah. Police didn't really go into detail about it. But they said that their main focus right now is John Gardner in the Amber Dubois death case. Really? So, man, he is linked to at least three different incidents right now. What a dirtbag. At least. What a dirtbag. Yeah. I mean, it's nuts. It's brutal. You couldn't just, where she was found, you couldn't just happen upon that. So I'm sure if he didn't directly give that tip, it's somebody close to him or something. He lived, yeah, less than two miles from that spot. Unbelievable. Really? Yeah, and it was like less than 10 miles from where Chelsea King was found. I mean, they're just, you know, all relatively close. 570-1949 is our number. If you'd like to text us, you can text us at 949mikey at gmail.com. Later on in Woods on Sports, Woods is going to be talking about a dude that throws smoke. A hundred.
miles an hour smoke and gas and cheese and everything else that you want to call it he throws it now woodsy's a pretty good you know he's not professional but woodsy's a pitcher in uh you know in a guys league here in san diego and you throw pretty good i threw i did the when i did my tryouts about a month ago and i'm about 6'1 220 and this guy's about 6'4 probably 185 yeah and i threw i think i hit 69 on the radar and he hit 100 That's so insane. And I was throwing because I was a tryout. So I had all these coaches watch me. I was throwing with everything I had. Every bit of juice I had in my arm I was throwing with. And I hit 69, maybe 70. And on a good day in the middle of summer after I warmed up, I can hit 70, 72. That's 28 miles an hour faster, though. I mean, it's ridiculous. How does somebody hit a ball moving 100 miles an hour? You start swinging when he's still holding the ball. You start swinging before he gets dressed. Yeah, exactly. Got it. That's why I've always said, man, hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do. It just is. Yeah, bunt. That's a good suggestion. Yeah, bunt. My brother, who sees every movie that comes out, saw Alice in Wonderland and said that it's good. It's in 3D. That didn't sound.
Really good. What's that? It didn't sound very convincing. He said that it's good. That's basically what he said. But he said that he's not necessarily a fan of that type of movie, but he sees everything. Could that be because he's like 45 or 50 years old? Yeah, could be. Could be. But I sometimes like to see movies that, you know, anyway. What? I liked Lord of the Rings. Oh, God. I did. What's the problem with it? There's nothing wrong with that. You're saying grow up Peter Pan? Yeah, grow up, Pete. I've just shortened it to Pete now. Yeah. It's okay that you like Lord of the Rings. A lot of people do. Yeah, I know they do. It's really great, Woods. You should give it a shot, man. It's a 0% chance, dude. I don't watch fantasy stuff. You know that. What if it's a beautiful story? Yeah. Great. You know what else is a beautiful story? What? Goodfellas. That's a beautiful story. It's not beautiful. Godfather Part 2. It's a beautiful story. Why don't you turn the subtitles on and it'll really help. That's what helped me. To Lord of the Rings? Yeah. No. What if Megan Fox got naked in it? Well, then I would watch it. Yeah, you would watch it. Well, he would fast forward to that part. Yeah, exactly. But you can't fast forward in a movie theater and I guarantee you'd go to that theater. I'd let Frodo, just fast forward through Frodo or whatever the rest of those clowns. Well, Alice in Wonderland did really, really well.
Sure did. Setting new records, Mike. It did? Uh-huh, for the debut of a 3D feature. Yeah. Came out on Friday, in case you didn't know. Over the weekend, from Friday to Sunday, there were 116.3 million viewers checking out Alice in Wonderland. Wow. Insane. Wow. Did they say how much it made? Multiply that by $15. No, no, no. I'm so sorry. They brought in an estimated $116.3 million, not $116. That's a lot of dough for it. A lot of dough, dude. Week one? Yeah. Can I just tell you, Avatar fans, I'm very sorry. Yeah. Avatar, its debut weekend only brought in $77 million. Wow. Which was a ton still. So that just shows you people are all about Alice in Wonderland. It was the biggest ever March opening. There you go. Yeah. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. And M1 Jason's on the line. Are you there, Jason? Hey, Mikey. How you doing? Good, man. What's up? Hey, I just wanted to comment regarding this hybrid Toyota thing. Freak out if you do or are on the highway, what you should be doing. Because my wife has an Ultima hybrid. Yeah. And I've done some research on two things that are the best things that you can do. Okay. One is that all these cars have smart teeth now. So, A, hit the start spot.
Okay, now explain the smart key concept. Okay, the smart key, instead of having a normal key, it's always transmitting. So it has a battery in it, which it'll always transmit. So when you get within a specific distance of your car, you can unlock it. You can hit your start, stop button to turn the engine on, all that good stuff. Got it. Now, if you're on the highway, you hit that button, it's going to be a little bit more difficult to turn the wheel because there's no power assist anymore. Same thing with the brakes, but if you turn it off. The car will shut off, and you'll be able to still move, but you'll be able to brake. There's no gas going to the car anymore. Or some of the other cars, the Prius, I know specifically it's kind of hard to get it into neutral while driving. My mom has a Camry hybrid. You can put it in neutral and just let the engine go. Really? That's good. Yeah, if you just let the engine go, then, hey, Toyota, you got to fix it. Yeah, because M1 Rooster just texted in right now and said, can't people put these vehicles in neutral? Yeah. And I guess in some of them you can. In a Prius, it's a little more difficult. I know the camera you can because it has a traditional shifter rather than just like a stick on the dash like the Prius has. But my wife has that. And if some people don't know, the Altima Hybrid uses Toyota technology. It has Toyota electric motors with the rest of Nissan parts. So I wanted to research to make sure she would be safe. There you go. Hey, thanks for the call, Jason. I appreciate it. What a good hubby. Thank you, man.
5701949 if you would like to call in this morning. There was some shootings yesterday that happened. If you didn't see this shooting in Dallas and a shooting on an Ohio campus. And the shooting in Dallas was happening kind of live while we were on the air yesterday. And it was a real big deal. It was happening about 8 o'clock our time, 10 o'clock Dallas time. And as it turns out. The gunman went into this building in North Dallas and was targeting specific people. Yeah. I believe, right? A father and a son in Dallas. So this guy just walks in to the building. He has a, does it say what kind of gun? I don't know. This was a North Dallas deal, which means that this, it's not downtown Dallas. In fact, North Dallas is far away from downtown Dallas. It was at the United Take. Texas Bank. And the gunman stormed into the office specifically looking for a father and a son. They didn't release the names of the people, but it was a 63-year-old man and his 39-year-old son shot the dad in the legs, the son in the neck. They both survived. They're both alive. They're in the hospital right now. And then the gunman pointed his gun at the police who came storming in. Right. They fired at the gunman, missed, and then he shot himself. Really? Perfect. Yeah. He didn't die. The gunman didn't die. Right now he's in critical...
condition in the hospital unbelievable yeah what's the deal with the ohio thing well the ohio thing apparently they weren't students or anything but there were three people that were shot um early this morning in ohio one person one person's dead two injured um they don't really know very much other than it was inside a maintenance building near the campus power plant and uh one person pronounced dead at the scene and then the two other people were taken to the hospital that was in columbus was that ohio state i guess Ohio State University. Unbelievable. Can't help but think that some of this stuff is like copycat stuff. Yeah. Because doesn't it seem to come in like a cycle? Waves. You know, when stuff like that happens, other stuff like that happens, you just see it all the time. Trips me out. The suspect has been taken into custody. No one knows what the deal was yet. It just happened like an hour ago. A Mikey Show listener is an M1. So if you call into the Mikey Show, you turn your radio down, you get to your point, and you don't cuss. That's what makes you. So check them out. We want you to look at all of them. There apparently is a woman who was at a zoo and she thought that it might be a good idea to play with the animals, which I'm not really sure how many of these stories you can hear before you kind of figure out, oh, maybe I shouldn't do that. Yeah, no, it was really not a smart idea. A 47-year-old woman was at the Wisconsin Zoo. She was with her granddaughter, who was three, and there's signs everywhere saying, do not feed the animals. Do not put your hands near the cage. Does there even have to be signs? You would think, no, it's a bear in the cage. It's a bear. Yeah, so she... Decided, you know what? Screw it. What's it going to do? She stuck her hand in there and didn't get some of the fingers when she pulled back. Oh, wow. She lost her thumb, her forefinger, and two other fingers were partially severed. Yeah. That's so gnarly. I guess she had her boyfriend with her, and her boyfriend was trying to rip her hand out of the bear's mouth.
You know, he was bitten, too. Didn't lose any fingers. But, I mean, could you imagine the little three-year-old, like, grandma? Yeah, yeah. Unbelievable. And, you know, it's one of those deals where, you know, you think you're feeding, like, a little chihuahua? Like, you're not feeding a chihuahua. No. It's a bear. The mayor's office also released a statement saying that alcohol played a factor. Oh, really? Yeah. That's good. That's fun. Take your grand out of the zoo after a few drinks. You get hammered. You get tanked. Yeah. Let's go. Feed some bears. Yeah. Let's take the kid to the zoo. Just start blasting back some Budweiser. Yep. There were even barriers that she had to climb. Oh, my gosh. You are kidding me. Get to the cage. Great idea. I want to feed the bear. Great idea. Hi, Bear. I love that. 570-1949 is the number. Oh, goodness. When we come back, we're going to have Woodsy tell us about this dude that's throwing smoke. Smoke. 100 miles an hour, we'll tell you about this guy. And Sienna has something that I think we can all pretty much relate to. And it has to do with, there's something that we can all do that's probably going to put some weight on us real fast if we do it. We'll tell you what it is.

the crucial research that represents the hope for a cure. Please call 1-800-533-CURE or go to jdrf.org today. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. More of the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Everything, everything, everything gonna be all right this morning. Oh, yeah. 570... 570-1949 is our number. You can call us. And you can also text messages. 949mikey at gmail.com. That's some good stuff. That's a jam. I love that. I just don't like the grunting. You don't like when Woodsy's grunting in your face? No. Surprisingly. You don't like it when Woodsy looks right at you. I won't look at him. He looks right. I know.
Lauren keeps looking straight forward. He's rocking back and forth. Looks straight at Lauren and goes. Really awkward. What's a mane? I'm a mane. He's a mane. I'm a mane. There's a mane. There's a woman. We got two womanes in the studio right now. So this story about this dude is fantastic. And I want to get right to it. I want to hear it. There's a new phenom in Major League Baseball, Mikey, and he is in Cincinnati. And this guy, he's a legitimate badass. Yeah. 22-year-old left-handed pitcher from Cuba. His name is Aroldis Chapman. Yeah. And this dude is an absolute beast. Basically, he tried to defect in 2008. He was arrested. Then he somehow made it to Amsterdam and defected there. Yeah. And then he signed with the Reds for...
$30 million. Never thrown one pitch. Never thrown one pitch. That's what they saw in this kid. So he made his major league debut yesterday in a spring training game. Right. It's staggering. Touched 100 miles an hour, two scoreless innings, struck out three or four, which amazes me he didn't strike out more. But this kid, he's... Tall, he's lanky. It's effortless when you watch him pitch. Cut three is Bronson Arroyo, who's the Reds pitcher. He's kind of their ace, talking about the new kid. Yeah, I mean, you know, it's hard to tell from the side just about, you know, his changeup and his breaking ball. But he's definitely getting on the hitters. And, you know, I mean, as uncomfortable as a guy like myself can be out there this time of year for him to be coming, you know, from where he's coming from and just getting used to. Crowds being around and knowing that everybody's watching him, for him to throw strikes and not walk too many guys is pretty good. How tall was he? 6'4". 6'4". Lanky and just, I mean, when you watch him pitch, you saw guys.
He's a lefty. So there was a left-handed batter in the box. Right. And you saw this guy jump back and just kind of wave at it. Just like, I don't want any part of this. A hundred miles an hour. Just heat. Oh, I want to see that. I want to see it so bad. He's one of those guys. I think he's going to be one of those guys. There's probably a handful of guys in Major League Baseball that you'll say like, all right, I'm going to pay to go watch Tim Lincecum pitch tonight. Absolutely. Or Danny Heron. And this guy's going to be one of those guys. Dude, that's rad. So he'll be here at some point this year. The Padres yesterday had a surprise visitor to their spring training home in Peoria, Arizona. Muhammad Ali stopped by for a little visit with the guys, and the general consensus around the clubhouse was just one of awe and inspiration. Cut to his Padres' Chase Headley. He's the third baseman talking about what it meant to him. I know enough about him to know that he's the best, if not the best, one of the best ever. You know, just a tremendous personality, very, you know, outgoing, you know, very confident in his abilities. But, you know, just an unbelievable guy to watch. Woodsy says, April 1st, it all begins. I think that's the date. I'm almost positive that's the date. And I know that Yanks Red Sox is going to be the opener. So I can't wait. Really? Can't wait. That's awesome. Cannot wait. Chargers fans can breathe easy.
Just made a big, big splash in free agency. Oh, man. Are you going to say something? I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. What? They claimed Marcus Mason off of waivers yesterday. I don't know who that is. You know why? Because he's been on the practice squad of the Ravens. Are you kidding? And the Redskins and the Ravens. Look at Sienna. Just put her head down and just put her head in her hands. He'll be competing for the backup running back job. What is going on? Are you kidding? He played with Norv's brother, or played for Norv's brother at Illinois. Then he transferred. Played with A.J. Smith's son at Youngstown State. So there's obviously some ties. They probably know that this kid maybe has a little something. Hopefully. You know, because there is some family ties there. This story blew me away, man. Blew me away. The Jets traded for Antonio Camardi. Right. Former Charger. Yeah. And the word on the street is they allegedly floated him about 500K because Antonio's got a little child support to pay off. And so they signed him into this deal. But they floated him a little bit up front. Did you know that this guy has fathered seven children by six women in five states? That's got to be a record. Yeah. I mean, has that ever been done? It's almost hard to do that. Well, yeah, you've got to work at it, it almost seems like, to do that. So the GM of the Jets, his name is Mike Tannenbaum. He says, quote, we don't usually talk about these things. All I would say is we're working with Antonio to give him his best chance to be successful. It's still the same one-year deal.
I don't want to go into the specifics, but I think it's one of those situations where hopefully he can resolve some things, go into the off-season program, and concentrate on being a Jet. Yeah. And also learning what a condom is. Maybe wear a condom. Yeah. Maybe the guy likes kids. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah. And that's, it blew me away, though. I had no idea. So, Cromartie's come out and said, yeah, I made some mistakes my first couple years in the league, and I'm going to work on getting better. He had some fun. And that is Woods on Sports. That's a lot of kids. I'm just telling you, it's quite a few kids. Seven with six different women in five different states. Five different states. Someone's partying. So Sienna said that she, and we, if you've done this before, you know what the deal is. If you go to the grocery store when you're hungry. Forget it. Stupid. It's not a good idea. It's the worst idea. You're going to buy stuff. I mean, listen. Lauren O'Brien will walk out of there with more alfalfa sprouts than she needs. Celery stalks. Celery stalks. Just jamming the celery stalks in her mouth. Just wheat. Grains of wheat everywhere. Flaxseed oil. Flaxseed oil. Fish oil. Gorging yourself on pears. No, I go right for the sweets. Turkey patties. Right for the sweets. Meaning what? Rhubarb? Like you're just sucking down the rhubarb because they're a little bit tangier. Like they're going out of style. That's right. Well.
The deal is, is that, yeah, when most of us go to the grocery store, if we're hungry, we're going to buy junk. Yeah. And junk that we wouldn't normally get. Never. In fact, we stock up on it. It's not like we buy a bag of something because we're hungry. No, no, no. We go, you know what I need right now, I think, probably, is four or five boxes of ice cream cookies. Yum! Yeah. No, I mean, we had our Monday meeting, which we have every week, and normally we have food delivered. I'm... I actually texted Woodsy about it last night. He felt so bad. What happened? Well, okay. Break it down. Break it down. Pull the curtain back. Yesterday was our Monday meeting. Yeah. I usually provide refreshments. All right. Lunch. It's not your job to provide it, though. The problem is we get off the air at 10, and there's no places open at 10. San Diego Sandwich Company is open at 10. And they're delicious. Nobody wanted that yesterday. Everybody was in the mood for pizza. Yeah. So we couldn't find a place that would deliver. You know. They were open. You know, and I wasn't really hungry at the time. But then towards the end of the meeting, I was like, oh. Probably because the meeting was three hours long. Yeah. And we'd been up since three. Yeah. I was starving. I was. My stomach was. We were in the meeting. We were going through some ideas. And I just. My stomach was going. Sorry. My stomach has an idea of its own. So I.
Dipped a whole can of Copenhagen. My lip is going to fall off. It's all crinkly this morning. Woods got a bag. Woods was doing a thing that we've all done, okay? I was a baby. He was doing angry eating. Have you ever done angry eating? Yes. Where you get a bag. He got a bag of Doritos out of the vending machine. And he was like. And he was eating them. And you could tell he was irritated with every chip that went into his mouth. He was like. Serious. No, I mean, even when the meeting was over, Woods and I left at the same time. We were going down the elevator, and he's like, I'm going to go to the grocery store. I'm like, ooh, what are you going to get? What are you going to make for dinner? And he's like, I'm thinking like chicken parmesan. No, not chicken parmesan, chicken alfredo. And I was like, oh, a pettuccine alfredo with chicken. Listen to what Sienna got. She said she never gets this when she goes to the grocery store. Pop-Tarts, ice cream, chocolate chip cookie dough, Nestle quick, strawberry. Good Lord. I mean, just all of this stuff. Todd, dude. Watch out, man. It's the married bit. When Todd got home yesterday, I was like, babe, I went to the grocery store and I did it right. Yeah. Now. He's like, oh, God. Woodsy, are you saying that when we get married? Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. I get you. Yes, you know exactly what I'm saying. You guys are getting married? No, no, no.
I packed on 60 pounds after I got married. Well, there are five people on The Mikey Show. Myself, Sienna, Woods, Lauren O'Brien, and Jay. And only one of us is not married, and that's Lauren. Let's rub it in a little more. She's practically married. Ironically enough, though, she's the healthiest. Her and Jay, they give each other a run for their money in terms of the health nut aspect. Try this wheat barley. This one's low fat. What about that? Exactly. But anyway, the point Woodsy's making, I think, is that sometimes when we get married, our eating habits change. Yes. I think when you get in a relationship, it's like the relationship 15. Yeah, the relationship 15. It's just like the freshman 15. Well, when I got home, I was like, oh, man, I'm going to... dig into all of this. It sounds so good. I'd never have this stuff. But I'm happy to say I poured myself one glass of strawberry milk. Good for you. And I had one spoonful of the ice cream and I put the rest away. M1 Pete, are you there? Yeah. Go ahead, man. You guys were just talking about Cromartie and all of the kids. I think it's Travis Henry, Chris Johnson, someone. He has 11 kids by 10 different women. It's 11 because a set of them are twins. I mean,
Are you, if I wonder this, I wonder if you could actually say to that guy, if you could go, I want you right now to name every one of the kids. Could he actually do it? No way. No. No. And what city they live in. And what city? And their mother's name. Oh, no. You couldn't do it. Well, dude, I'm going through your guys' names right now. I got to almost have them written down in my hand like memento. I know. Seriously, 11? That's crazy. All right, Pete, thanks for the call. There was a basketball player, Sean Kemp, was in the same boat, maybe eight, but he had a nickname, very interesting nickname. Yeah. They call him the Bastard Factory. Really? Isn't that awful? It's awful. Isn't that awful? It's terrible. It's funny, though. Oh. Let's see. 570-1949. If you want to give us a call, you could also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com.
There was an earthquake in Julian yesterday. Yeah, 4.4. Are you serious? Let me see. I think it was either 4.4 or 4.0. Is he hearing earthquakes everywhere? Everywhere. It's nuts. I heard an earthquake off Hawaii. There was obviously the earthquake in Indonesia. There was an earthquake in Chile. Turkey. Turkey. Yeah, Turkey. There's earthquakes everywhere. It was a 4.0 earthquake that shook Julian last night. No injuries, no damages, but pretty crazy. I mean, that's a shake. Yeah. Where's Julian? Julian's up in the mountains. It's about an hour. Yeah, as you're leaving here, it's up in the mountains. You'll love it. They've got good pie. Yeah, you'll take your guitar there at some point in the summertime and write a couple of tunes. Sea lions are dying because they're eating too many salmon. Yeah, in Oregon, there's a special salmon that's, I guess, becoming more rare. And these sea lions are just going to town on the salmon, and they go to the same spot.
Every season, kill all the salmon and people are just losing their mind. The wildlife officials are like, we need to keep these salmon. And so they're watching the sea lion. And I guess there's like certain ones that they know and they track and they're just out of control on eating the salmon. So they want to kill the sea lions to save the salmon. It's ridiculous. Doesn't that seem nuts? Natural selection. Isn't it? That's exactly what it is. So why are people freaking out? It says that last year, 11 sea lions were euthanized. Man. That's ridiculous. That's awful. It's so sad. They're so sweet. I would, if I were a sea lion, I would, I'd probably eat beef anyway. Yeah, me too. Salmon's the grossest thing in the world. And chicken and, yeah. I don't like, do you like salmon? Yeah, I can eat salmon. You can? Yeah, for sure. The cooked salmon, not the smoked salmon. I can eat, no, not smoked, cooked. That's smelly. Dude, cooked salmon. Cooked salmon stinks too. I like salmon. It's like eating cat food. Salmon steak I can eat. I love it. And I can eat it too. You're ruining it for me. I'm not that in on it. I'm telling you, every time I eat it, I'm like, oh my gosh, this is nine lives. I really like salmon and eggs. Oh. That was repulsive. Why did you, why did you, my day just left my body. Oh my goodness. How about salmon and wrapped in bacon? That'd be good. That'd be good. Yeah, but I'd take a dog biscuit wrapped in bacon. I would too.
Let's see. Scientists say that they know why dinosaurs got wiped out, which you hear this every few years. I know, I know. Well, they didn't know if it was an asteroid or if it was a... Volcanic eruption. Those were the two things. And they're saying scientists from Europe, United States, Mexico, Canada, and Japan have all gotten together, conducted studies over years and years, and they discovered that it was an asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. The asteroid hit nine miles wide, slamming into the earth, and it caused tsunamis and earthquakes and all kinds of fires and landslides. Well, how come that hasn't happened? Since. Yeah. Can you see? I can see like eight or nine scientists in a room just throwing darts at a board. Exactly. It's been four years. Right. How about a flood? Yeah. How about a flood? They throw it. They're like, giant fart. Okay, let's go with it. Let's just say that's what it was. Let's just say it. Why not? 570-1949 is the number, and you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. You know that movie, The Cove?
That is a lot of people are talking about. It's a documentary about the illegal killing of dolphins and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And people say it's a pretty good movie. Well, they are really causing an uproar that I'm sure SeaWorld wishes would go away. Yes, they have publicly voiced their opinion now that SeaWorld should be stopping. All of their shows, especially after the death that happened with the killer whale in Orlando's SeaWorld, you know, that killed the trainer a couple weeks ago. Right. So they're saying not only should the Shamu shows, the killer whale shows be canceled, but also all dolphin shows. Well, when you think about it, man, who was the first dude that went, I got an idea. That was 950 ton black and whites. Why don't we stick one of those in the back of this boat? and like build a theme park and stick it in a pool. That's crazy. And then we'll have people get in there and make it jump through rings. I think it's amazing. I love SeaWorld and everything. I think it's cool. I'm just saying, I'm talking about the actual first dude that was like...
There's a lot of people that I'm like, who was the first dude? Because it wouldn't have been me. Yeah, like Joe Seaworld. Yeah, Joe Seaworld. Where is that guy? It wouldn't have been me because I wouldn't have the rocks to do it. No way. I would go, well, that's insane. You can't take a black and white and stick it in a swimming pool. It belongs in the ocean. Yeah, and then you especially can't get people in a wetsuit to go in there and tap it on the tongue. That's not going to happen. Like, who figured that out? A genius person. I guess a genius. Probably a fisherman. Yeah. With a name like Joe SeaWorld, he'd have to be. Exactly. It's kind of fate. Yeah. You know? I mean, his name is SeaWorld. Right. Obviously. So the filmmakers are saying, you know, they're blaming the captivity for the tragedy of the trainer's death a couple weeks ago. And they are asking the public, please do not buy tickets for any of the dolphin shows. You know what? SeaWorld is great. I love SeaWorld. I think I might like it better than Disneyland. Really? Because you can do it in a matter of, like, hours. Yeah. By do it, I mean walk the park. Yeah. You know? Yeah. And it's just, Chase, look at me laughing. And, yeah, I mean, it's a good place. Forget it. Never been. Still want to go. Let's go, would you? I'll go with you this weekend. We'll take you. Not this weekend. We'll take you. We'll take the kids. Yeah, I'd go anytime. Kids love it. Do the whole thing. Go to Pet Stadium. There's a guy in Ohio that says that he has.
captured evidence of UFOs. Oh, yes. What is the deal with that? I have pictures, but they didn't turn out very good when I printed them. But the guy from Lake Erie, Ohio, his name is Eugene Ehrlich. Yeah. He took some pictures, half a dozen photos of unusual... objects floating in the sky. He said that they emitted brilliant colors and were flying solo and occasionally in group formations. They appeared to be making line formations and triangles in the sky. He also has video of this. And like I said, my picture didn't turn out very well, but it does look like a little bit of something. Neither did his, okay? Neither did his pictures didn't turn out very well. Yeah, they did. That's right. Mikey, don't you have a video of UFOs? Yeah. I was just thinking right now, I wonder if Lauren O'Brien is going to bring up the only YouTube video that I've ever made. Unbelievable. My little UFO video that I made for YouTube. Yeah. When you first emailed me when you were putting the new show together, you sent me a message on YouTube. Because that's where I found you. That's where you found me. Yeah. And you said, hi, this is Mike Esparza from The Mikey Show. I'm like, yeah, right.
Yeah, right. And you went on and on, and I said, well, let me see what this alleged Mike Esparza is all about. Yeah, and I clicked on your account. One video of funny lights in Carlsbad that look like a UFO. Yeah. What did it turn out to be? It was ATCs. ATVs? ATVs. Four-wheelers. Four-wheelers. ATCs. Or ATCs. That's what they were called when I was a kid. Really? Were they really? They really were called ATCs. All-terrain cars. Where are you from? Where? Yuma, Arizona. Just in Yuma, then. And they used to go out into the desert where they filmed Return of the Jedi, and they used to ride them, and they were called ATCs. What was the C for? A car? I have no idea, but I'm telling you they were ATCs when I was a little boy. You sure that's just not what you called them? Right. Maybe. They filmed Return of the Jedi in Yuma? No, but... 15 miles out of Yuma. Really? Yeah. That's where I met. No idea. That's how I met the entire cast when I was 12. Invited Harrison Ford to my house for tacos. Of course you did. And for what else? It's a true story. For tacos. That's it. He gave you his Indiana Jones rope. No, but he did show me a watch that he had just bought. A little stopwatch. That's killer. A pocket watch that he just bought. Had you said enchiladas, he probably would have come. Yeah. To your house. He probably would have.
Yeah, that was when I was... Even then, I knew that I wanted to be a DJ on the radio. And when I was 12 years old, I was talking up records. That's what you should be doing now. Oh, no. Hey, Hoyle. Hoyle's our station manager. Y'all should be talking up records now. You should. We don't play records, per se. Well, when you play a song, y'all should play more music. I would suggest playing more rock and roll. Okay. I got rock and roll under my fingernails. Oh, do you? We're like a talk show and kind of like a comedy show. So we don't play a lot of music. We'll play bits from time to time. I know, Woods, but when you do talk up rock and roll records, y'all got to learn how to be better DJs. Oh, like disc jockeys. A disc jockey. We're not disc jockeys. What you need to learn how to do is talk up the record, Sienna, if you're going to play a song. But we don't play songs. Well, you should. After 10 o'clock, we play a lot of songs. You should be playing more Jethro Tull. I told Garrett, the program director of 94.9, I told him this yesterday, more Jethro Tull.
I think you should be playing more Iron Butterfly. I think you should be playing more Deep Purple. Y'all laugh. I'm telling you. Mobile, Alabama. 18 bucks in a row. WWCTYB. I was number one there four years in a row. Wow. Okay. Where is that? WC by D by D? Mobile, Alabama. You want to hear me? I'm going to show you how to do it. Let's see how we do it. Can I come up to the microphone? Yeah, of course. Mike, get out of the way. Hoyle's coming up. I'm going to do this on the microphone, all right? All right. Now. When you talk up a record, you got to have the intro to the record, and then when the person starts to sing, you got to stop. Yeah, that's the post. That's called the post. That's right, Sienna. Yeah. So you want me to show you how it's done? Yeah, show me how to do it. I want to hear. All right, let's use KBZT. That's call letters here at 94.9. Correct. I'm going to show you how to do it. Here we go. You start the record up like this, and then you do one of these. Go. CT, we are FM 94.9. You understand how it's done? Wait, wait. That's how you do it? Hold on. What's the deal? Did you not notice that your voice is completely different when you did that? My voice wasn't any different. I was using my radio voice, but that ain't much different than my regular speaking voice. It's completely different. KBZT FM 94.9. Thanks for listening. What are y'all laughing at? Wait, you can't hear that? The difference? Yeah. Your voice is really deep when you do it. I have no... What?
You don't hear it. It's really deep. Yeah, your speaking voice is not quite as deep. Whenever you go on a radio, you have to change it just a little bit, but I only change it just a slight smidge. No. FM 94.9, KBZT, welcome to... What's the deal, y'all? Oh, man, that's one of the greatest radio voices I've ever heard. And you're listening to KBZT, FM 94.9, listening to some deep purple here. I hope y'all enjoy it. Over to... Hillary. Dude, that's amazing. Mikey. Does that hurt your voice? No, don't hurt my voice. It's basically the same voice. It's just one octave lower. It's just one octave. Just change it one octave. It's a lot more than one octave. Thanks, y'all. I hope y'all figure it out. We'll take that to heart for sure. Mikey, you need to knock that out. Yeah, I guess you really got to talk up the post. You know what I mean? Yeah, we don't really play on this. Wow. We don't. 570-1949 is our number. It's from the new Switchfoot album.
This is from the new Switchfoot album. That's right. Is that right? This is from the new Switchfoot album. Get out of here. Get out of here. Get out of here. That guy knows his stuff. A professional newscaster on television said Obama couldn't sell watermelons. I know. I know. I know. I know. Wait. Wait. When we come back, I'm going to play the audio of who that is. Wow, Cesar Gonzalez from Mama Testa Taqueria. Hey, Ryan from the Nervous Records. I wanted to stop in here after hearing Tim Piles talk about Mama Testa. Tell me about your chorizo. Oh, man, let me tell you about my chorizo. We make it fresh every day in the restaurant. We spice it up like only the way Mama knows. We don't use any of that greasy stuff you get at other places. Yeah, it's not greasy. Not greasy at all. My buddy Mark tried them. What'd you think, Mark? I tried the El Pastor tacos. What's up with the pineapple? Let me tell you about the El Pastor tacos, man. for 24 hours, and then we grill it with grilled pineapple. Delicious, sweet, sour, spicy, all at the same time. Hey, Brian from the Nervous Records. What are you doing here hanging out with Mark and Caesar? Hey, Tim Piles. We're just eating some food. Really? Are you sure you're not cutting a commercial? No, man, we're just having a conversation. Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Beautiful girls all over the world. Number one hip-hop song in the country is B.O.B.
Still nothing on you. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. You can call us 570-1949 or you can text messages 949mikey at gmail.com. So you got to hear this clip. It's from the Chris Matthews show. Okay. It is Dan Rather who was let go by CBS and he wasn't too happy about it. And Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks hired him. for the HD network and put him on as like the main guy. He said, hey, listen, I don't think you're done. I think you got a lot more left in the tank. So he hired him. Well, he was on the Chris Matthews show and they were talking about how Dan Rather feels that Obama really hasn't done much since being president and can't really get that health care put through and said this. Part of the undertow in the coming election is going to be President Obama's leadership.
And the Republicans will make a case. And a lot of independents will buy this argument. Listen, he just hasn't been. Look at the health care bill. It was his number one priority. It took him forever to get it through. And he had to compromise it to death. And a version of, listen, he's a nice person. He's very articulate. This is what's going to be used against it. But he couldn't sell watermelons if you gave him a state trip. You can't say that. You can't say that, Dan. You think anybody pulled him aside afterwards and they were like, hey, Dan. You can't, you know. Imperial wizard. Yeah. They just started to say it at the end of the clip. You can't say that. Chris Matthews said, yeah, maybe we find, I think it was, what it sounded like, or is it Chris Matthews? Yeah, Chris Matthews. Yeah, I think what he was saying was like, let's find another word that we can use. Yeah, maybe you say he couldn't sell ice to an Eskimo. No, that wouldn't work. Nobody could. Couldn't sell a, except for me. You couldn't sell, I don't know, something.
Catch a popsicle to a woman in white gloves? That doesn't work. Nobody would do that. Couldn't sell water to someone in the desert. There you go. That's what we're looking for. Wait, wrong sound effect. That's the one. That's the one I wanted. Thank you. Very good, very good, very good. That's a little... That made me very uncomfortable. Can I tell you about something that made me uncomfortable right now? Sure. In the restroom. There was a single square on the floor. Now, I am a neat freak and I'm also a germaphobe at the same time. So I'm conflicted. A, that's the filthiest thing I've ever seen in my life. A square of toilet paper? Just a square. Why is that so filthy? It had a dot of water on it.
It had a dot of water, and I don't know if the dot came from hands dripping because they just washed their hands and a drip of the water went onto the square. Okay, I don't know. Or I don't know if that drop is something else, and I don't want to take it to a lab and have a culture developed on it or anything like that. I'm just saying that when I see a square of toilet paper, I don't want to see a square of toilet paper laying on the ground in a bathroom. A public bathroom. Step over it. I do, but I don't want it there. Just the fact that it's there, it makes me come unhinged. I'm like, oh. But at the same time, it's so gross. If you drop a piece of something, of anything in the bathroom, pick it up. Are you picking that up off the floor? I took a paper towel. And I scooped it up and I threw it in the trash. I would have done the same thing. You would have? Yeah. Zero percent. No? No, dude. Walk right over that thing. That's the worst bathroom etiquette. What? Ever. Ever, dude. Hey, at my bathroom? Yeah, I'll pick it up. Right. But I'm not going on that.
Nasty. Get a couple paper towels. Pick up a square? Oh, with a dot of water and it's sticking to the floor? Why doesn't someone just sweep it up later? You just wasted two paper towels. Yeah, on a square of toilet paper. On one square of toilet paper. It doesn't gross you guys out to see that? No. I mean, if there's something on it, yeah. But I'm not touching it then either. Yeah, exactly. I want Barnes & Noble to offer a book about, in general, bathroom etiquette. And like what to do when you walk in, because not enough people know what to do when you walk into a bath. First of all, the bathrooms with the stalls, the bathrooms that are the single bathroom. What to do when you're in a public. Petrifying. It's absolutely petrifying. Yeah. From number one to number two is petrifying. Yeah. Yeah. Petrifying. Petrifying. Petrifying. For a dude, it's petrifying. Give me an example. Let's say you're doing your thing. Okay. Filing some papers. Okay. You're going to be there a while. Yeah. And how about the guy that comes up while you're in there? You're filing your papers. Yeah. And he's trying to open the door. You clench. And you're like. So there's an old email that came out. I think I might have forwarded it to you. And it's a little bit of etiquette. It doesn't touch everything.
The best thing to do is when right when somebody walks in the door and you're in there taking care of business, give it one of these. It's called the camo cough. Yeah. Or you give it what they call the a stare where you give a little toe tap. Like Fred Astaire. You do a toe tap. Tap, tap, tap. So the guy knows. Dude, I went into a, I went into Jack in the Box to file some papers. This was a couple of weekends ago. Lauren O'Brien's now coming unhinged. I don't blame you. I'm just saying, let's all be adults about it. I'm just telling you as an adult. Let's be adults about talking about our poo. No, hang on a minute. I'm telling you as an adult. First of all, I was filing papers. It's a bodily function that we all have to do. Do we? We don't all have to talk about it. All males do. Hang on a minute. Now, here's the deal. I went into this Jack in the Box, walked in. It was a single stall. And the guy... that was in there did an interesting thing. He took the toilet paper roll and he just started spinning it. And I was like, okay, there's a human being here. Wouldn't that get all the toilet paper on the floor? No, he's probably spinning it in the direction where it wouldn't. You know what I mean? He was just making the noise, I guess. That is so weird. But I could hear it. And I was like, okay.
So I decided I would wait him out. Oh, no. Did he go somewhere else? I'm going to wait him out. You don't wait him out. So I walk out of the bathroom. Okay. I walk out of the bathroom and into the dining hall. The dining room. The dining room. And I'm doing the astare myself. I'm like, okay, let's make it happen. Let's make this happen. It doesn't take, just do what you got to do. And yeah, Lauren. If you're going to use the bathroom at the Jack in the Box to file papers, you've got to go pretty bad to have to use it. Why are you waiting around? Because I thought that I was dealing with a human being. That's why. That's the answer to the question. You really want to walk into that aroma afterwards? See, I would have left purely because I would not have gone in after a smell. I just needed to file papers. It had to be done. That's all I wanted to do. And so I go back in and I waited at least four minutes. And I'm like, because it's fight or flight. Like I'm either leaving and going somewhere else, which I don't want to do. Or I'm waiting. And I'm like, this is a human being, I'm sure. I'm sure I'm dealing with a human being who in just a moment will be done. You heard the toilet paper spinning. So you thought you were probably wrapping up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Literally. Yeah. So I go in there and he's not.
Done. And so I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. Did you say anything? No. So I'm standing there with my arms crossed, and I decide I'm going to let him know by pacing. Oh, wow. You had to go back. You know what that's called? What? That's called an Uncle Ted, and I don't know why. I don't either. He just hangs out. Yeah, Uncle Ted was pacing. He hangs out in the bathroom. And so I hear, and I wanted to go, I don't care. I get it. I know. I know you're there. I know. And by the way, I'm the same guy. I'm not a different customer. I'm the same person. Other people need to use the restroom. Why didn't you just go in the girls' bathroom? Oh my gosh. I've done it. I've done it. I've gone in the boys. You've gone in the girls and the boys? Yes. Well, you got to go. You just go. No way. If there's only one bathroom in there, you go. If it was like stalls, obviously I wouldn't go because I'd be like, what's up, dude? You go in there, you'll be on the sex offender website in two minutes. No, it's not that big of a deal. I've walked in the girls and seen the guy in there. I'm like, oh. Oh, excuse me. Pardon me. But I understand. I don't, I'm not upset by it. There needs to be a book on etiquette.
We need to figure out what we're doing. What about when you're in the stall? Say there's a row of stalls, and you're doing your business, filing papers, and there's plenty of empty other stalls, but someone goes to the one right next to you. You need a buffer stall. Get out. Go as far away as you can. Nothing makes me more tense as if I'm in there, and it's a full house, and somebody comes in, and all I can see is his shoes, and he's waiting me out. And I'm like, oh, God, I've got to hurry. I've got to hurry. I can't sit. I've got to go. I start sweating. And I'm like, I guess I'm done. But if it's a full house, who cares? I care. Because then I got to walk out and see that guy. It's called the walk of shame. If it's a full house, they don't know what I'm doing. They don't know who else has been in there or how long they've been there. I'm going to hang out as long as I want. Sometimes I'll try to wait them out. You will? Yeah, yeah. 20 minutes. Just on my phone, like, working, making calls. Yeah, you wait. Well, if there is a, and everybody that's in a, everybody that works in a building, or anywhere at work where there is three stalls, if you go in, there's a bookend, you go to the other bookend. Yeah. Nobody goes right next. They do. Who? Why? A lot of people do. I was in Target the other day, just to let you know, and there's like, you know, eight stalls in there, and I swear, it was me and one other person in there already, and then someone walks in, goes right next to me. They're nuts. Like, get out. Scoop down. They're nuts.
Women have it lucky because they always are in stalls. Men have to do their business sometimes in a giant trough in front of 60 other dudes at a sporting event. That's true. I have nightmares about going to concerts. I won't drink at like a big show. I just won't drink. I'm like, I'm not drinking anything. We know that's a lie. So I don't have to go to the bathroom. Women don't have to deal with the mortification. It's mortifying. Of what they call the trough. I mean, the first time I ever saw it, I walked in, I'm like, is this Athens in 1525? Like the Coliseum? What is this? Imagine if you guys had to go pull your boobs out every time you went to the bathroom in front of other women. You know, but women don't care about that. Women do it, though. Women don't care about that stuff. Women are not embarrassed of their bodies. Men are very embarrassed of their bodies for good reason. No, they're embarrassed of their bodies. You are? Yeah. I thought women will get undressed in front of other women. Mikey, that's just in... horror movies. No. Where they're having topless pillow fights. Yeah, they do. And tickle fights. Tickle fights. Not all women do the whole naked thing in the locker room. In front of each other? Yeah, but a lot do. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the other deal. Whenever I walk into a gym, when you go into a gym, Woods knows this. You walk in the gym, you walk into the bathroom, there's always one guy who's 58 years old. He's always older. With gray hair.
Gray hair everywhere. Combing his hair naked in the mirror. And you're like, dude! So put that little guy away, okay? Nobody wants to see that little guy. Well, there has to be the age that people hit where they don't care anymore. Yeah, there's an age where you go, I don't care. But also, guys, when they're in the trough. Trough. Trough. Isn't it like it's a rule that you don't look? Girls would look because we don't have that rule. Yeah, it's a rule. It doesn't make it any easier with your piece hanging out. With a million pieces hanging out down the road. I must be at that age because I don't care. I would drop trail right now. I get stage fright. I don't think that Todd would care. Jay, was there a time, though, when you did? You know, I don't think so. I mean, I think back to I was climbing. We were climbing this big rock, me and a buddy. And we were on this tiny ledge. And I was like, dude, you need to look the other way. And I dropped trowel two feet away from this guy. And he's like, never tell anyone about this again. I was following papers like you would not believe. On a rock.
Well, there was no choice. Yeah, it was like a rock in the middle of nowhere. You know, I was a thousand feet up climbing. I was filing papers like you wouldn't believe. Like you wouldn't believe. I was going to explode. Well, good thing you stayed true to your word and didn't tell anybody. Yeah, I told somebody since I got down. I was like, you're not going to believe this. He was standing right next to me. I've heard a lot of things. I've never heard that. Me neither. I've never heard that. But there should be an etiquette thing of what you do and what you don't do. You know what? Maybe a pamphlet. Yeah. Maybe a pamphlet. In every bathroom. I would pick up a pamphlet in the bathroom. There should be like a poster on the back of every stall door. Here's the last thing you do. Here's the last thing you do ever if you walk into a place where there's a stall. Never do this. Don't ever. You know someone's in there. Ever not. Hey, pal, how long are you going to be? No, what do you say? Everyone says something different when someone knocks. Mikey, what do you say? I thought everyone says the same exact thing. No. Someone's in here. No one says get. I do. Don't we all say someone's in here? I thought everybody says someone's in here. I've heard. I'm in here. I've heard. Occupied. I've heard. Don't come in. Question. Have you guys ever been walked in on? Yes. Of course. Do we all say the same thing? Dude.
I thought we all say, someone's in here. I just screamed. What do you mean someone? It's Mike. It's Mike. Don't say someone, Mike. You're Mike. The someone is you. You don't want to tell them who you are because you don't want to tell anybody. But they're staring into your eyes, your deadlights. They're looking right into your soul. Doesn't matter. There's someone in here. You do the cover up. Yeah, dude. Yeah. It's the most. Humiliating thing in the world. What if you got walked in on in a single bathroom, no stalls? When you were at work. Yeah. But when you were at work. Yeah, I'm sure it's happened. Nothing more awkward than that. To everyone. M1 Ronan. Hello? Ronan, are you there? Yes, I am. Go ahead. Hi. Hi, guys. Hi. I was just going to comment. I think that Mikey would absolutely love bathrooms in Japan. Why? They have the most amazing, pristine. You could go into a public park and it's like going into a fancy hotel's bathroom. No way. All the toilets have all these buttons like some sort of airplane gadget. It's got a million buttons on it. All the seats are heated. What do you suppose are heated? That would freak me out. So if you're going to the bathroom, it covers up sounds. They have buttons for sound. They're brilliant. They're brilliant. The toilet is the lazy boy. Why is it that culturally, like...
All you have to do is picture going into a Chevron gas station. You know, because you really have to. And there's like graffiti that somebody did with a knife. And it's so old, it's like rusted over. You're like, who is that guy? For a good time call. Yeah. You know what I mean? You're like, I don't have time. Who had time? You want to get in and you want to get out. You want to get in and get out. Go ahead. Time. The Japanese have it figured out. They're brilliant. That's what I'm saying. Mikey, it's almost I've never really wanted to go to Japan. I kind of do now. I'm telling you. I told you. They're very innovative. They have a lot of things going on. M1 Chicken and what? Chicken. Yeah, say your name. M1 Chicken and Waffles. M1 Chicken and Waffles. Go ahead. Yeah, man. Hey, I like it. I kind of like. work with the whole uncomfortable thing i like to go in the bathroom and stand next to the only guy at a urinal and i kind of look over like start a conversation like you're that you're that guy you are a monster chicken and waffles yes you're him and we know that guy where if there's a row of 19 urinals you're the only guy in there and someone will come and stand next to you you're like
There's Big Brothers Big Sisters program. What are you doing? I mean, if you need a friend this badly. How you doing, pal? You know, please. Can I help you with? I don't need to hear you shuffling down the boardwalk, pal. Yep. A hundred percent. Dude you're dumb. That is dude you're dumb. Call us right now.

Surf-wise today, really blown out and stormy as we've got that west wind howling about 15, 20 knots, maybe even more. Blowing up all the palm fronds and blew up the car covers. It's just a mess out there. There is surf, though. West-northwest wind and groundswell combination. Touch of southwest out there, too.
Running in that chest ahead of range, maybe some overhead setways, but really hard to even establish accurate sizes because it is pretty much a victory at sea. This is not a dream. This is reality. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now, more of the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Santa's husband just had the greatest story I've ever heard in my life. And it was... I mean, that would mortify me. He just sent me a text. Just sent a text that they went to... a local establishment, and he had to file some papers at the local establishment, went into the stall, was filing papers, and when he went into the stall, the little latch that latches the door locked wasn't working properly, which, by the way, would send me into terror. Absolute terror. Cold sweats. Cold sweats. But you think it's okay, though, because you can catch the stall when it opens.
First of all, I would never trust that. My little legs are too short to push up against the stall. So while he's in there, the door bursts open and in walks their waiter. Amazing. Who is obviously embarrassed. Oh, I'm so sorry, sir. There goes your tip, pal. When Todd came back to the table, he told us the story, and his daughter was with us, too. And when the waiter later came back, Jenna said, Is that the guy, Dad? No! No! No! No! I would have left. I would have dropped a $100 bill and ran out. We live right there, and we haven't gone back. Oh, my gosh. I would have moved to Arizona. Yeah, for sure. I'd have gone online and just started looking at houses in Scottsdale. Because he came back to tell me because he was like, this was the worst. That's so bad. That's awful. Like the guy comes to take your order and you're just looking down. You're like, I'll have the, honey, just order for me. No, he sent someone else over to drop off the food right after. Of course. And the check and the drinks. Yes. No, he did come back at one point.
And that's when Jenna said that. Yeah, he comes over. He's like, oh, you're the guy that I just walked in on in the toilet, right? Isn't that you? Poor John. When I waited tables, I didn't even want to be seen in the bathroom. I've been washing my hands. Right? I know. Right? Yeah. I mean, don't you instantly have a thing where you're just like, I don't want any part of that? Yeah. Snoop Dogg, by the way, doing comedy. Speaking of Lauren, Lauren's a stand-up comic, and Snoop Dogg is going to try his hand at your craft. Lauren? He's teaming up with Mike Epps, and it's called Imagine That. They're portraying former nightclub performers in jail who are trying to break out. What? I don't know. Snoop Dogg said, we've worked together in the past on some projects and knew that our audiences would love to see us bring hip-hop music and hip-hop comedy together on stage. Their tour begins April 27th right here in San Diego at Harrah's Rincon Casino. For real? Yep. August 27th. It's faux shizzle, Mike. Faux shizzle. Faux shizzle, Mike. Shizzle.

M1 Allen, what's up? He's talking about being in the bathroom. When I was in boot camp, we didn't have walls in our stalls. Oh. You didn't have walls? No. I went to Paris Island, South Carolina. There was no walls. Like, you just had to make eye contact. Oh, my gosh. Dude, it's like prison. It's like prison. I mean, you know, you got your cellmate, but there's a toilet in the corner of the room. How would you do that? Well, what would you do in a time of war? I guess so, right? Dig a hole. Time of war. Can you close your eyes? Walk up and down. And they would just look at you while you're using the bathroom. Oh, my goodness. I would say, can you close your eyes, please? Yeah. I would buy a big sheet. Yeah. And I would just. Yeah, I'd hold it up. I'd hold up the sheet. A little tiny arm. A towel. You would buy a towel. It would make me feel better, though. Shut up. But you'd have a towel, a dish rag. It is so true, boss. Tell them the truth. You would do that. Tattoo, shut up. Why do you say that?
Because you know that you are so small. You know what's the worst is tattoos telling me. You're so small that you would have to hold it. You know what, Buzz? You don't even have to hold a towel up. You could hold up a Kleenex. What do you know about small tattoo? Yeah. Oh, what do you know about small tattoo? Because I'm a little person, Laura. Yeah, so why are you making fun of Mikey? Because that's how short he is. He's so short he can hold up a Kleenex to hide himself. It's not nice to do. Are you ready for a little bit of this? You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. Let's see. Guy on the plane. The plane is descending, and this guy is getting out of his seatbelt. He's getting his stuff out of the overhead compartment, and he's running down the aisle as fast as he can. Where's the fire, pal? You've got to wait for the door to open. You've got to wait for everybody else in front of you to get their stuff and go. I don't care if you have a connection. I don't. I don't care. You wait it out.
Dude, you are dumb. That's you, Sienna? I don't, like, run down the aisle or anything like that, because obviously you can't get out, but I'm definitely getting my stuff together. Oh, me too. Before the plane hits the ground? Never have you waited longer to do anything than to get off that plane. Wait a second, though, Jay and Sienna. They tell you, don't get out of your seat. They're like, you've been instructed to put the seat up. Even the kid stays in his seat until the plane lands, and I wait for the... and then I go. I hate flying, though. I mean, I absolutely hate it. Who doesn't? Everybody does. Well, I know, but I would just, whatever. Besides Maverick and Iceman. Yeah, exactly. When I know we're about to descend, I will organize my stuff properly so that when it hits and the ding, I am up and out. You get the ding. Hey, just wait for the ding, pal. I get the ding. But you know what? Don't run down the aisle. Don't jump aisle. What do you mean? I mean, you're in aisle six. Yeah. Five aisles go before you go. Out the door. Oh, that drives me absolutely crazy. Me too. It's the rudest thing in the world. I'm more important than you. Excuse me. Yeah, pardon me. I know I was in aisle nine, but I'm going to move up to aisle six. I'm going to get three rows ahead. Who's that guy? Dude, you're dumb. It drives me batty. I'll say something too. I'm not that person because I do feel bad to be that. Because that's bad. Yeah, that is bad.
Sticking with our airport theme, the baggage claim guy, the guy that has to position himself right in front of the belt. And he's waiting and he's waiting for his bag like he's in a race. And then not only that. He's got to pick up every freaking bag that comes out. No, that one's not mine. Every black one. Every black Sam's not mine. No, that one's not mine. Maybe tie a little ribbon on it, dude. Okay? Tie a little ribbon on it so you know it's yours. Maybe a camo scarf. Something. Dude, you're dumb. I am the positioner. That's what I call myself. You start boxing out like you're Carl Malone? Yes. Yes, I do. There's elderly people around. You're knocking them over. Now, wait a minute. Got to get your bag. But I don't, I don't, the only thing that I don't do is pick them all up and go, oh, is this one mine? But I do, I do. Well, you want to make sure no one jacks your bag. I just want, you've got to get your bag, right? Why not stand in front? Everybody's got to get their bag, pal. Everybody. So wait, what's the proper thing to do, Woods? Wait, stand.
in a circle if everybody made a big circle around there'd be room for everyone there'd be room for everybody yeah there'd be no elbow no elbowing no jostling around right you could everyone could stand and see nope that's not mine nope that's not there's mine and i'm out you know what i hate is the the people that bring their little kids up to the front i'm like get your kids out they're gonna get hit by the bag there's a lot happening get them off the belt this is not a ride That is pretty maddening. It's maddening. I am right up front with Jasper every single time. Of course you are. The kid digs the thing. So I paid for it. He's going to get the full experience. Well, not only that, but you don't want to let your kid be running around willy-nilly and you've got to get your bag. What are you going to do? You wait by the pole out here. Usually it's the big groups of people, you know, and they all huddle. It's like, get two people up there. The rest of you get back. Assembly line people. Yes. Exactly. I'm going to do that now. I've honestly. Just been taught. Good. Honestly, just been taught. It's all fun and games until your kid loses a finger in the conveyor belt. It's true. But even when you hit him with a bag, you pull the bag back and there's little kids, you can't see him. Hey, guys, it's not a ride. Again, it's like a moving sidewalk. It's not a ride. But I want to so bad. I know. Hey, I'd love to lay on that thing all day long and go around in circles. I'd love to see that. But it's not. Like the lazy liver. 5701-949. If you have a dude, you're dumb. Or you can text him in if you're too shy to call him.
949mikey at gmail.com. Back to the bastion of Dude, You're Dumb. The grocery store. I've never seen so many dumb people in one place. This guy kills me. Loads up his cart. Goes up to pay. Realizes he forgot to catch it. He's so low. He's got no kids there with him. Nobody to go run it. Now listen, I've sent my wife before and said I had the cold sweats and they're like Oh, God, we're about to go, and we don't have ketchup. Run and get ketchup. Right. So run and get ketchup. Right. But this guy is about to swipe his credit card and goes, ooh, I forgot ketchup. You guys hang on one second. And walks to get ketchup. I want to draw and quarter that guy. Dude, you are dumb. What if he asked you first? I'd say, no way, dude. I got to go. You would not say that. I have not been the guy that's at the put the credit card through. Ready to pay. But I have been the guy that's next in line and realizes that I left something and I sprint. Yes, little chubby Mexican bald guy sprinting through the store to go get the Windex. As long as you make it back before it's your turn, so be it. You're okay with that. Yeah, but if you're the swiper. You could swing from the roof. I don't care. As long as you're back when it's your turn. Right. When you get to that checkup.
You have all day. Don't check out till you're ready. Dude, you're dumb. What do you do, Woodsy? You go all the way back through the thing? What I would do if I totally forgot something is I would literally go put the stuff in my car, come back in, grab what I needed, pay and go. Because I'm not an idiot. Wow. That takes too much time. Oh, my gosh. You're really considerate. Absolutely. That's really considerate. Do any of you guys, I mean, dude, you're dumb because we got some people. I have a question. involving the grocery store. No. Have you ever gotten up to the little checkout line and then you realize, I don't really want this? Mm-hmm. There's always like one of those little hand baskets like sitting on the floor. Right. And I'm pretty sure like you just put the stuff you don't want in there. It's called buyer's remorse. Is that true? I do it all the time. I'm like, I don't need $35. croissant, which biscuit, you know, croissant, which is for breakfast. I'm going to put this big box of frozen Owens back. Yesterday, I saw a box of hamburger helper leaned up against the magazine. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I've done it a million times. Maybe I'm dumb. I mention it to the lady. I say, hey, can I? Oh, I'm embarrassed. I'm embarrassed. Well, I was like, what am I supposed to do with this? You can afford it. I've worked in retail before. That's someone's job to go put all that stuff back. It is.
Yeah. So is that okay? I think it's okay. You're down with it, right? Yeah. Do you mention it? If it's something that's perishable, I'm either putting it back myself or I'm mentioning it. Yeah. I can honestly say I've never put anything back myself ever. I've never. And if I did, it didn't go where it was supposed to go. Yeah. It may go back on the shelves, but it ain't where it's supposed to be. I have one. Let's say you're second in line with your grocery cart and there's a guy in front of you and he's... getting to the end of his groceries, and he doesn't put the separator in for you, and you can't, so you're just like, hey, can you, I'd like to get started, but I, I can't. I'll wait for you to be done. It drives me crazy. I'll wait till you're completely done. You're like, do you want to buy my groceries, pal? Yeah. That always happens, too. Oh, I know. In five seconds, you're going to say, that's not my pineapple. Yeah. Yeah, it's my pineapple. You know why it's my pineapple? Because you didn't want to put the separator there for me. I know, they make you feel like the bad guy. Right. It's like, dude. You're like, you see that gray rubber thing sitting right there? That's called a separator. Let me show you. With the Virginia Slims. That was such a great invention. I was at the grocery store yesterday.
come up with a new invention that we need is we need periscopes on carts because I must have run into 15 people going down and they're coming one way, like perpendicular. Right. And we just timed it out. I think we need periscopes on carts. How fast are you going down? Or beepers, like some sort of sonar maybe. Can you imagine? Some sonar maybe. Why do they not have those big mirrors that they have in hospitals? I know, dude. I need them. I need them. The giant round mirror? Yeah, it's because you come blazing out of that aisle at 80 miles an hour. And there's always a big display of, you know, wheat thins at the end of the aisle that you can bang into. And nobody ever says, excuse me, but me. Yeah, I feel it. Ever. M1 Burner, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Give me one. The guy that's right behind you talking on your phone feels like he's right on your heels just cackling away, yelling. At whoever he's talking to, but it feels like he's right breathing down his neck. At the grocery store? At the grocery store, anywhere. Even just walking down the street. The guy that's on his phone?
Yeah, the guy that's just right there behind you and just wants to yell and scream on his phone. It's so funny, Berner, because when you said that, I looked at Woodsy, and Woodsy immediately had a look of guilt. Yeah. He's that guy. I'm that guy. He's that guy. I talked to my wife, Jamie, yesterday for probably 30 minutes in the grocery store with just no regard for anybody else. So, dude, I'm dumb. It's the worst when you have the Bluetooth in your ear and you're talking on that in the grocery store. Because in the grocery store, you're like face-to-face with people, and they don't. Are you talking to me? No. What are the options here? What are we supposed to do? Call when you get in the car, but I don't. No, you're bored at the grocery store. I'm bored, yeah. You want to talk. I keep wanting to take my iPod to the grocery store, and I keep forgetting. Wow. I don't want to talk to anybody. I want to put my iPod on and shop. iPhone. Can I ask you? If you have an iPod in at the grocery store, are you rude? No. No. No. Because I get looks sometimes like, what? You put your iPod in? Yeah. Really? Yeah. My iPhone is an iPod. So I'll put the little earbuds in and do my shopping. That's brilliant. See, I want to start doing that from now on. And I always forget. Not that I don't want to hear Rocketman 80 times on the grocery store.
Shouldn't you be aware of your surroundings, though? What if someone's trying to say, excuse me? I think that's way overrated. Especially in the grocery store. You're not going to hurt anybody. I always feel, no matter what, even if I was walking by myself outside, and I have my iPod in, and I'm like, oh, gosh, I'm going to miss something. Someone's calling my name, and I can't relax. M1 Vic. Hey, how's it going, Mikey? Good. Hey, I got an issue with baggers. Okay. Grocery store baggers. It seems to me like every single time I go to the grocery store, they're always trying to put, like, my bread or eggs in the bag or something. And then before you know it, they're throwing in, like, cans and whatever. And before I don't, like, I won't even notice it, and I'll get to my car. And, you know, I'll go home, I'll pull everything out, and then, you know, I got a dozen smashed eggs in the bag now. Smushed bread. Smushed bread's the worst. You can't even make a sandwich out of good smushed bread. I'll tell you something, dude. When I was 15 or 16, I was a bagger. And we had to watch a video. And we had to do practice. We had to practice. I'm a master bagger. This brings up a whole other thing. When you get your groceries out to the car, okay? And you got your groceries in the, not the paper, but the plastic. And you get out to the car.
Woodsy, do you put your groceries in the passenger seat? No, never. Never. Always in the back. The trunk. Because I got an SUV, so I put them in the back with my baseball gear and all that. Even when I have an SUV, you know, when I'm driving my wife's SUV, I put them in the passenger seat. That is weird. If there's enough room, I do. You do too? That is weird. If there's enough room. If I just have a few things. But it's a little bit maddening because it's maddening putting groceries in a trunk. It's maddening getting them out, too. They fly everywhere. They fly everywhere. And who doesn't do this? You're putting your groceries in the trunk, and you're thinking to yourself, that's going to get smushed. Yep. This is a goner. Yep. That Wonder Bread is done. This is the last time I see you live. I never think that. Hey, Wonder Bread, it was nice meeting you. I'll never see you the same. Fly it on top of something. My new bit, because I live on the second floor in an apartment. And I have to walk like a quarter mile now because I can't park in my spot anymore. It's a whole nother story. But I shop and I'm like, this is going to be too much for one trip. So I have like literally I have 30 bags in each hand. My hands are red and they're white. Like I'm losing blood. I'm like walking up the stairs. Like, oh, God, I got almost there. Never. I never buy bottled water anymore ever because I'm not going to go back and get it.
And do you do the thing, because you have 80 bags in each hand, do you do the thing where you have to have one hand lifting up onto the counter? Yes. Right? Yes. You got to lift it up? Teamwork. Dude, you're dumb. M1 SoCal, what do you got? The guys that wear sunglasses inside the mall. Or in a nightclub. Yes, I actually don't get it. Easy Corey Hart. Yeah, it drives me nuts. Yeah, there was a guy that accepted an award at the Academy Awards with... Wayfarers on. No. Don't wear sunglasses inside. Maybe if you're a poker player. Maybe. And really, maybe not. Yeah, even then, you're like, come on, dude. Maybe. Come on. How about this guy? The M1 Ryan, are you there? Hey, morning, Mike. How are you guys doing? What's up, brother? Hey, it's the guy that's near at the fountain, and you're getting your drink. You're filling up your Coke. You're almost full, and he's got to walk right next to you and put his cup in front of you and fill his ice like he's got no patience. Oh, I know. Oh, yeah. You better back up because I'm almost done. So you're talking, you're at the fountain machine filling your Coke, and he's like, I'm going to get ice. I'm getting ice. Oh, I do that. It's not the same thing. I'm not pushing the same button as you so I can get ice. Sienna, there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah, there is. Wait your turn.
Wait your turn. Wait your turn. Wait your turn. Can't we both be? It's like being at a buffet. Like you saying only one person could hit up that station? No. If the buffet was a foot wide, then I would understand. This thing is one foot wide. There's five choices. Wait. We can be friends and share. Yeah. You can't share your space. I wouldn't be mad if I was there first. I want to see what everybody's take on this. So we know Woodsy says no way. I say yes. Sienna says yes. Lauren? I say no. You say don't. You wait. Wait. Wait it out. No way. Just wait. You either, right? Get right in there. There's, like, multiple space. I did that, yeah, to Jay the other day. We were at Rubio's, and he got his drink. I was like, I'm going to get my ice right now. Shoot, I'll lean up over you. If you're, like, taking too long, I like the guy that just stands there looking at the ice, like, gosh, there's so many choices. How about the guy that fills up about three quarters away? Takes a couple drinks, and then goes back for more. That's my boyfriend, Matt. Matt, he does that? What about the ones that get the mixtures of drinks? No, the suicide. They're never done. That's disgusting. My brother does it. Grow up, Peter Pan. Grow up. Coke, cherry Coke. Fully adult, man, putting, you know, Gatorade.
Coke. Sierra Miss. Mr. Pibb. You're like, hey, fella. We're in a little league game now, okay? That's where we used to do it when we were kids. You're going to get a suicide? Let's do it, man. It's called a suicide. Wow, you had a name for it. Yeah, everybody knew that. Of course, man. M1 Eddie. Hey, what's going on? Mikey, I love your show. Thank you, brother. I can't stand a guy when you're on the freeway and you're cruising about 75, 80. And he cuts you off and then goes like 60. Yep. That's number one on the list. Absolutely. I just want to like shoot him or something. Well, I don't shoot him. You'll shoot him. We're not in Texas. Yeah. Wouldn't go the shooting route, but I understand what you're saying. That was me yesterday. Sometimes I try to get in front of the person on purpose. Yeah. And then we'll see how they like it. Well, I go 10 miles under what they want to go. I love this. Lauren yesterday, she's rushing to the hospital. Her sister had a baby yesterday. Right. Yeah. So we start the show meeting yesterday and she had to leave to go to the hospital. And I mean, her sister's about to have this baby. So you're rushing. Uh huh. And you're just laying on it to try to get there. I was like, I've never said so many curse words in my life. Right. I was like, what's your problem? And it's just like.
Like I said in my recap email, I was like Mario Andretti. Right. Just like weaving in and out of people. You made a very interesting observation, though. Yes. Tell everybody what that was. I was just thinking we're so egocentric sometimes. It's like when you're driving, people that are pedestrians, you're like... Why are you walking now? Idiot. But when you're the pedestrian, you're like, look at this driver. Why does he have to drive so fast around the corner? I have the right away. It's 100% correct. I got called an a-hole yesterday, by the way. I was driving home with my groceries. Woodsy, I haven't been called an a-hole for 17 years. How do you get this happen to you? Damn near daily, dude. He's a crazy driver. Well, this guy was walking across an intersection. where there was no crosswalk. And I was driving and I was like, I'm not stopping, dude. Right goes to the pedestrian. I'm not stopping, pal. And I just didn't stop. And he had to stop in the middle of the road and look at me and he goes, A-hole! I would have said the same thing. I just waved. I say that exactly. Maybe you wait for the car to go by. Then you skedaddle across the street, old man. The right goes to the pedestrian. It's California, man. You wait. You would have gotten in big trouble if a cop had seen you. Weird.
It's true. You would have been in big trouble, mister. That gets caught for everything. I know it. Slow down, bro. Slow down for five minutes. Nah. He doesn't know what that means. I know it. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com. So if you're a dude and you say to a girl, we should hang out sometime. What do you really mean by that? Now, this is what's interesting. Sienna says, we're talking about this. She just read this article. I go, you've got to talk about that on air. Sienna says that she has a thing that has figured out what we mean when we say. So when a dude says something, this is what he means. I'm like, really? And Woodsy's like, let me hear him. I go, no, save it, save it, save it, save it. So when we come back, we'll get all of our opinions on this. What does it mean? What are they saying? All that stuff. That's next.

We had an earlier accident in a car that hit the center divider. Another car that was in the same spot involved in the accident. Is that right? Yes. And by we, you mean guys. Dudes. Yes.
Guys, okay, so you're going to tell us what it is that we say and what it is that we mean. Yes, some popular lines that you guys give the ladies. Okay. One is, we should hang out sometime. Right. What guys really mean is, and this isn't my opinion, this is from a legitimate list. Okay. What guys mean by we should hang out sometime is, I'm afraid you'll say no if I ask you out. Well... Isn't it the same thing? Aren't you asking someone out if you say we should hang out sometime? Woods, do you say no? I disagree. I think if a guy says to a girl, hey, we should hang out sometimes, that means more of let's keep this casual. I don't think so at all. That's what I think. Absolutely. I think if you're at a bar and you just meet a guy and he's like, you know, we should hang out sometime, then the girl's response, the guy's hoping, will be, yeah, sure, let me get your number. Yeah, he's asking her out. Isn't that how a guy asks a girl, he goes, we should hang out sometime. But then he's putting it in our court, the girl's court, to say, oh, yeah, sure, yeah, let's exchange numbers. See, I think he is, in fact, asking a girl. Do you think it depends on the context? What do you mean? Like, if the girl is pursuing him and he's kind of like, yeah, we should hang out sometime. That's casual. Yeah, maybe that's the git that you're talking about. That's the casual, yeah. So if she's flirting with him.
No, he would never say that if he wasn't interested. If a guy wasn't interested in a girl, if she was flirting with him and he was like, oh, boy. He would never say, we should hang out sometime. Yeah. Yeah, I think he would. Why? I think he would. Maybe if he just wanted a piece. Yeah. Just a taste. Just a little taste. Really? Yeah. It won't hurt you. Ever. I would be like, oh. This is so filthy. This is filthy. Lauren O'Brien and Woodsy just high-fived each other like a couple of sophomores. I was waiting for her to say it so I didn't have to, and she did. It was like ESP. Wow. Give me another one. Okay, Guy says, I'll call you later. I'll never call you. He means I may or may not call you at some point between now and three months from now. Well, yes, absolutely. I think it's more like he may or may not call you ever. Of course. I just told you the answer. Of course. Absolutely agree. Yeah, I'll call you later. I'm never going to call you. That's scary. He says my ex is crazy. If he says my ex is crazy.
That means he's crazy. Yeah, he means I messed her up and she got upset. Yeah. I agree 100%. Yeah. He says. Yeah, if he says my ex is crazy, it means I cheated on her. So would you hear that a lot? 100%. He says, that guy seems like a good friend of yours. I'm jealous. Oh, for sure. He means, was there ever a thing between you guys? Absolutely. 100%. He says, it's a long story. It means I went to jail. I don't want to talk about this. I'm a dirty dog. It's a story that makes me look bad. You don't want to hear about that. He says, that's a new look. It means I hate it. Please never do that again. Please grow your hair out again. Do not wear that outfit. Say it again. He says... That's a new look. Can you ask me before you ever do something like that? Just ask my opinion about what I think you should do with that. Lose the skinny jeans, please. He means you look weird. It means I don't think Esprit pants are as cute as necessarily you think Esprit pants. Are you talking about Capri pants? Like he's buried his head in shame right now. Esprit's a brand that was popular in the 90s. Or the 80s when I was in high school. Early 90s, late 80s.
Hey, those are nice Jordache jeans. What are those, bongo? Are those stone or acid washed? Wow. Oh, hi. I like your Reebok high tops too. Your wind song stays on my mind. You're wearing your members only jacket right now? You're the last member left. Oh, I'm blessing. All right, we're doing a translation list. What guys say what it really means. Give me another one. Why are you being so emotional? Stop crying. Why are you being so emotional? Yeah. It means I messed up and I'm going to blame you so that it takes the attention off me. I like that answer better than what's written here. That's the true state. That's the true answer. Well, it says here, he means, why are you acting like a psycho? Absolutely. She's acting like a psycho probably because you acted like an insensitive jerk. It hurt her feelings. She started crying. You didn't want to deal with that. And so you said, why are you so emotional? Or because it's in the DNA. One of the two. I really like this next one. Or a mixture of all of them. All of them. I really like this one. He says, that's not what I meant. That means... That means that's what I meant. That's exactly what I meant. That means that's exactly what I meant. He said...
It means that's totally what I meant. But now that you're mad, I wish I hadn't said it out loud. I wish I had a time machine. Yeah. I wish I could get the DeLorean up to 88. He says, it's fine. It's not fine. It means that really bothered me and I don't like it at all. You screwed up. He means it's not actually fine, but I'm in no mood to discuss it. Yeah, nor will I ever be. Most of the time with men. You guys are going to get it. This is the last one, number 10, and you guys are both going to get it. Can we talk about this later? It means we never want to talk about this. I never want to talk about this again. Pretty much the gist of this list is whatever we say, just believe the opposite. That's exactly, whatever we say, believe the exact opposite. It's a long story. It's a story that makes me look bad. Yeah, I don't want to talk about that. I've never been the I don't want to talk about it guy. In fact, I'm the opposite. Me too. And it would drive a...
People that I was with crazy drove Rebecca crazy, and then she realized we have to talk about it. But I'm definitely a, no, no, no. We can't wait one more second. We must talk about it right, right now. Me too, dude. I don't do the cooling off period. I'm like, now is when we talk about it. You know the people that say, oh, I just need space right now? Oh, it drives me batty. I just need time. Like, you know what I need? I just need time to cool down. I'm like, you can't have it. I need to talk. You can't have it. We're going to talk. You know why? Why? Sienna, are you the I need to cool down person? No. I mean, I've gotten a lot better because Todd is the I need to cool down person. Yeah. He does. If we're in an argument, like he needs a moment away to think. Here's the problem with I need to cool down. Oh, really? And then after you've done said cooling down, you're obviously going to come back to me and go. well, I've sufficiently cooled down now, and I'm prepared now to talk to you about something that's going to make me very uncomfortable. So let's discuss it now that I'm cooled down. I hate it. See, I used to be, I mean, I am more like you guys in the sense that I want to talk about it right now, but since I've been with Todd, and I was always, let's talk about it, it made it worse, especially with him, because now I know how he is. So if I give him time to cool off, like...
10 minutes, he'll come back in a whole different person. Oh, 10 minutes is fine. But a lot of times the I need to cool down person, they need longer than 10 minutes. Really? Yeah. And they're not going to bring it up again. They just want it to go away. Yep. Todd brings it back up and he comes in a whole different person and then it's resolved in 30 seconds. Now I could deal with 10 minutes. Yeah. If it's 10 minutes. Woodsy, can you do that? No. You can't deal with 10 minutes. No, man. I need to get it. Let's just get it out of the way right now. That is so, let me tell you. But it's going to turn into screaming. I've seen, I've seen Woods. And I mean this, I mean this literally, not figuratively. Woodsy will literally pace up and down a hallway. Sick. Yeah. With a phone in his hand. Like pounding it against his leg. Like he's so passionate. It's crazy. I can't let things dwell in me.
I won't sleep. I won't eat. I like that too, though. Like before Todd and I ever lived together, like if we were in a fight or something, forget sleeping the entire night. The entire night I was awake. Lauren. What are you like in that situation? I'm like, I'm exactly like you guys. And if someone says they need space, I'll be like, okay. And then like 30 seconds later, I'm like, is that enough space? You ready? You cool now, dude. Is that enough space? Yeah. Have I given you sufficient space? Matt and I, a couple weeks ago, he was like, I just need 10 minutes to not talk to you right now. Because we live together. That is rude to me. That's rude. And what did you say? Every two minutes, I was like, you know. keep saying i used to i mean that used to drive me nuts and i still there's sometimes where i can't give him his space but for the most part i can and now it's like if i'm in a bad mood i'm like just leave and give me a couple minutes and now i do it too and it helps it really helps if you can just be like okay that person loves me this is going to be okay you know just chill for a sec makes me crazy crazy yeah if if if we're if i'm fighting with somebody or
I'm waiting for something that, like, I want to, like, resolve. Yeah. And the phone's not ringing. I lose my, if I'm waiting on a text back, I'm, like, beating my head against the wall. It's the worst thing. I need Xanax. 570-1949. Or you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. I think that's funny that Lauren is that way, too. I pictured her, just, I pictured her as. I need 10 minutes to myself, Matt, but I totally pictured her as the need to cool off because she's Irish. She's an Irish cyclone. I just unleash and then sometimes I eat my words. Mount St. Lauren. Yeah, exactly. Mount St. Lauren. Then I'll eat my words and be like, ah. Do you, are you, I regret my words, girl? Yeah. How do you address it? Do you say, oh, by the way, I probably shouldn't. You do? Yeah. I'm really open about it. And I'm like, I was a jerk. I'm emotional. You know me. My heart's on my sleeve. That's my bit. Once a week. You guys know the same language. Once a week. Once a week. Listen, you know how I am. We've been together a long time. Okay? I'm sorry. I didn't mean to call you that. All right? I didn't mean to say that about you. And she now, Jamie, my wife, lets it.
Pretty much just lets it roll off. She'll look at me and be like, you're an idiot. And I just know I'm an idiot. That's why she's my perfect puzzle piece, man. Perfect. Yesterday, I was so stressed out. I was trying to get, like, balloons and flowers from my sister and then send a care package off to my sister-in-law. And I was just, like, running around town and trying to get back to the hospital before she fell back asleep. And the baby got fed and all these things. So I'm, like, running around town. And I call Matt and him and my brother in the car together. And they're on speakerphone. And I'm like, hey, can you do me a big favor? Like, I'm running around. Can you just pick up dinner? And they're like, ha! You think Carly would like Mexican food? Carly's my sister, and I'm like, you guys are a couple comedians. A couple clowns, huh? You guys funny? Yeah. Am I funny? Yeah, this is funny. Hey, it's a funny day, huh? I'm here to amuse you. And they kept cracking jokes, and I'm like...
That's great and all, but I got to go. She's listening. Yeah, so then, like, I get off the phone 30 seconds later. I text Matt, and I'm like, I'm sorry. I'm cranky. I'm hungry. I'm stressed. And he wrote Peck, and you're cute, dot, dot, dot. Oh, Matty. That is a nice response. He knows. He, like, gets it. I'm sure him and my brother were, like, hung up the phone. We're like, whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo. I thought they were being real slick, dude, real funny. Yeah. You're having a great time until somebody loses an eye. Love it. Oh, no. I love it. I love that when Lauren pulls that little crazy curtain back just a little bit. It gets bigger and bigger. It does. It's there. It's there. 100%. Well, when you look at her, you know, she's got this sweet little demure. Calm. Hi. Yeah, very calm. I'm very calm. Very well put together. Put together. Classy. Hey, that's real funny, guys. All right? It's real funny to ha-ha right now, ain't it? Jokes. Yeah. Who's going to get the dinner tonight? Today's joke day, I guess. Hey, you know what? Maybe the Mexican will get itself, huh? Maybe the Mexican food will just buy itself and deliver it to our sister, huh? Yeah, maybe you faked yourself as...
Grilled cheese sandwich when you get home, okay, pal? Because I'm not cooking. How about a knuckle sandwich? Yeah, knuckle sandwich. Delicious. We're going to play a new game right now. You ready for this? Yes. Buckle up. 570-570-1949. Now, all we need is two people. And as time goes on, you will understand how this works more and more. But we stumbled upon gold the other day. We were talking to Sienna and we realized, look, Sienna's getting all pumped up. You got to get pumped up. Got to get pumped up. We were talking to Sienna and we realized that Sienna doesn't know a lot of music. A lot of music. You guys, I'm a lot younger than you. She is. It's true. She's 24. She's 10 years younger than me. That's right. She's like 15 years younger than you. And five years younger than, yeah, and then like 30 years younger than Jay. So.
Jay is a year younger than my mom. That is correct. Sorry, Jay. We'll throw songs out and the whole group will be like, dude, that song's bad. I love that. I remember that. And she's like, what is that? I just lean back. Who's poison? Yes. And we're like, what? Yeah. It's so great. And so what we're going to do is you're going to call right now and we have a CD six pack. We need somebody that says that Sienna will know the song or not know the song. Now, the way that we're going to do it is we brought the song up on the computer on YouTube, and it's like the karaoke version. And so the words are going to go across the screen, and she's going to sing the song. Now, if she knows it, obviously she'll be able to sing along. If she doesn't know it, it's going to sound pretty awesome. I'm going to make up my own. I mean, what else do I do? Woodsy was like, because we started talking about it, and she didn't know these regular songs that we were bringing out. And all of a sudden, it was like the light bulb went off for both of us. And Woods has his computer in front of us. He dials up a song. He goes, come here, come here, come here. He goes, sing this. Now, this is what he pulled up yesterday, was a karaoke version of a song. A karaoke version. So, on YouTube. So, all it says are the lyrics, and you hear the music instrumental. Right. And I don't know when they start singing or how they sing it, so I just...
It tells you when you do karaoke, but unless you know the song, you can't do a karaoke song cold. If you don't know it, you cannot do it cold. I see when the words are supposed to go, but I don't know how quickly to go. How they sound. If it's high pitch, if it's low. Let's say that it was TNT by ACDC. She would be like, TNT, dynamite. She doesn't know it. She doesn't know the inflection, the harmony, nothing. The melody, I love it. Let me just say, though, because if I don't know the song, I'm obviously going to sound like a train wreck. So I'm going to apologize. But for the most part, you guys have heard me sing and it's not that bad. Oh, you sing great. You're a great singer. There's no doubt about that. Because I know if I don't know, I have no idea what song you guys are about to tell me. And if I don't know it, it's going to sound bad. Pavarotti would sound bad singing a song he didn't know. Okay. Nobody would be good singing a song they've never heard before. I know. It's embarrassing. I'm 24. Yeah, 24. The prize is a four-book box set of Twilight if you have a daughter that's still in high school. Or a 30-year-old friend. Or a 30-year-old friend named Lauren O'Brien. A 34-year-old wife named Rebecca. Plus a Band of Skull CD. So, let's see. M1 Megan. Yes.
What are you going to guess, that she knows it or doesn't know it? I'll say she knows it. Okay. Thanks, Megan. Hang on the line. M1J, Matt, you get doesn't know it, okay? Sounds good. Do I have to sing the whole song? No, I'll cut you off when I'm good and ready. Are you guys going to tell me right now what the song is? You're going to see it on the screen, and you're either going to know it or not know it, and we'll know in some pretty short order. Oh, I'm nervous now. You're like Karaoke Incorporator. Yeah, I want to come around and watch. Yeah, you need to. Go ahead. You guys. Go ahead, start playing it. Oh, I'm so scared. What is it? Yeah! Do you guys all know? 100%. Are you kidding? Oh, no. Butterflies, butterflies. Bumblebee, bumblebee. Sienna grew up listening to pop music. Knows very little rock. I worked on Channel 933 for years. That's right. Here we go. What's that sound? Full blast and top down. Burn it down the avenue. Auto citizen. Zero disobey. Don't you know she's cup? Oh, I can hear it. You'll lose her in the turn. You can kind of hear it. I know, I know. Okay, well, I can't hear it enough. Holy cow, dude. I love that.
I love that. I love that. Was I even close at all? That bad for not knowing it. Was it? Well, I heard at the end of the Panama. So I tried to save it like my last line. Sienna, my guess is unfamiliar with that song. Very. But it comes out, it's like, oh, oh yeah. And I'm like, do I speak this? No, it should be. Now, Sienna, you don't know that song, right? No. Panama, who sings it? Do you have the original? Van Halen. Do you have the original? Yeah, can I hear it? It really sounds nice. Of course you do. Van Halen. It was, like, and seriously, she doesn't know these songs. No. She didn't have a brother that listened to it. She didn't, you know, like, you know, if you're young. My brother was older. He listened to, like, Nirvana. I know some Nirvana. This is the original. Still makes, still gives me goosebumps. Of course. Why? Because I love it so much. It's the greatest. I was nine when this record came out. This is my brother-in-law's go-to karaoke song. That's the best. It's the best. Well, let's see. M1J Matt, are you there? Twilight. Twilight, bro. Have fun, pal. What does that mean? Well, I just want a Twilight four-pack of books. Oh, lucky guy. That's right. Maybe you can use them for kindling. Or your daughter. Or your daughter. Hang on a minute, okay? Hang on a second. That was so rad. Oh, dude. I mean, let me tell you.
But I might know some of them. Maybe you will. Because the deal is that we're picking them. Yep. Woodsy and I and Jay and Lauren are going to get together and talk about what we think that she won't know. Yeah, she cannot be in on any meetings in that regard. All I know is we named so many songs yesterday. And she was like, huh? Huh? Huh? And we would play them. And we're like, no, no, no. Listen to this. And we would play it. She's like, never heard that in my life. I'm telling you, I worked on 923, which is like a top 40 hip-hop type station. And I worked for a country station. That's fantastic. So, you know, although I may be in radio, I may not have the biggest music background. But randomly, you will know stuff that I'm shocked about. Well, I'm married to a man that's a lot older, too. That is true. That is true. But he doesn't listen to, like, heavy rock. He doesn't, right? Not really. Good. It'll make the game a lot more fun. That was awesome. Let's see. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com is our phone number if you want to give us a call. Let's see. What else has happened in the news? 300 illegal immigrants arrested near the border over the weekend. Did anybody hear about this? What's the deal with it, Sienna?
Well, there were 294 immigrants to be exact. They were found hidden in vehicles and using fraudulent entry documents or documents legally issued to someone else. Yeah. And among those, 16 of them were fugitives, one battery burglary. I saw that, posted that on Facebook. No way. Yeah. Do you get the news people? Yeah, all the time. The news people? I do every once in a while. None of my people. Johnny Vegas is a news story out. Three times. It's another thing that there needs to be a book written about the etiquette. Facebook etiquette. Facebook etiquette. All the way up. So they were arrested at border checkpoints near San Diego over the weekend. So, yeah, almost 300. It's crazy. Sienna, is there anybody that you will not accept on Facebook if they do it? Or do you accept everybody when the invitations, the friend requests come through? I accept everyone. You do? Unless it was maybe someone that I didn't like growing up that I knew or something. How about you guys? Yeah. Do you have a Facebook thing that drives you crazy? Several. I do. Several. What's yours, Jay? I've got the weirdest ones lately. It's some girl who's hardly wearing any clothes. Perfect. But she knows no one I know. And she's only got like 38 friends. And she's like.
Just check to see where I got pierced. I just got it yesterday. Yeah, it's weird to say it, but there's got to be an advertisement. I never accept them, though, if they don't know somebody that I know. And, I mean, I'm getting a ton of people, obviously, from the show, but it's just such a strange. Easy big time. Well, I used to follow the mutual friend role, but now with the show, it's like, well, I don't know. I accept everybody. Well, yeah, it's people that are coming in that are fans of the show, and you want to accept them. And by the way, The Mikey Show has a Facebook fan page. And for those of you that have been in before for the backstage pass and this wasn't the deal, don't worry. We'll have you back sometime. It's awesome. So much fun for us too. Yeah. So much fun. We'll take a picture and we'll email you the picture and it's cool. It's kind of a fun thing to do with M1s.

Well, GEICO has saved millions of drivers hundreds of dollars on their car insurance. You should be one of them. So let's get you onto GEICO.com, yeah? Now, back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. You don't like that. I don't want to know you. Seriously. Makes two of us, maybe three of us. Three. Yeah. Sienna, have you ever heard this song? I'm giving it a sec. Yeah, give it a sec. It's actually me on the guitar. Sure. Yeah, nope. Never. It's so awesome. You guys have heard it? Yes. Yes, ma'am. It's so awesome when you see the, it's an instant like, nope, never heard it. I love it. Yeah, that's a big no. That would be a no. God, I love it so much. I am such a fan of that dude, Lindsey Buckingham. Mm-hmm.
Like solo Lindsey Buckingham stuff. I do, too. I do, too. That's how much I love him. I do, too. You know, he never plays with a pick. Everything with his fingers. Fingers. It's amazing. Maybe he has long nails. Could be. Like Lestat. A lot of people that finger pick their left, right hand. Right hand. Well, I guess it depends on what hand they are, but yeah. Gnarls. When you see the big old claws that they grow so that they can do it. That's right. Let's see. All right, what do we got? Oh, do's and don'ts. M1 Veronica. M1 Veronica, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Give me your Facebook do's and don'ts. I hate when people update what they eat all day. Well, they update everything, right? So they'll tell you what they eat. They'll tell you when they leave the place. They'll tell you what they're doing in the car. They'll tell you what they do when they get home. It's like an instant message away message from like five years ago. Yeah, it is. Like if you were to text them and say, sorry, went to blah, blah, blah.
Yeah, now at the grocery store. Now in aisle seven. Wow, the brand looks pretty good today. The brand. You know what I mean? Yeah. Veronica, that's it though, right? That and then also like when they go to the gym, they had a good workout. Oh, seriously. Gotta let you know they were at the gym. Now that one for my wife specifically, like the ones that it doesn't make a difference to my life, that one makes my wife crazy. And I... I am in a very small majority that I'm such a voyeur in terms of what people are up to. I really do find the fact that they had a good workout fascinating. Really? I'm being completely honest. I think I've done it, though. I think I've said had a nice workout today in 87. To me, it isn't about the workout. It's that they were just at the gym. I'm like Sherlock Holmes, and I'm interested in all the exterior parts of it rather than the actual part of it. Because I love philosophy. I don't care. Like, oh, really? You were at the gym then. They're letting you know that they worked out and they're feeling and looking good. Maybe they are, but what does that really say about them? I think if it doesn't make me laugh, it doesn't inform me, or it doesn't make me go, aww. If it just makes me go, huh. Huh.
Then I shouldn't have put it up. I'm a big fan of the inspirational stuff. Yeah. If it's like, if it tugs at the heartstrings, if it makes me laugh. Woodsy, like what? I'll read you a real live Woods Facebook from this week. I remember seeing it. And you probably thought it was cheesy. Probably. I was wondering if there was some sort of innuendo, if it came from out of the blue. No, it... Okay, here it is. A good friend of mine told me once that when you're young, the days fly by and the years crawl. Once you get older, the days creep and the years fly by. Live each day as if you won't see tomorrow. Help people. Love your children and one another. Don't waste time on petty things. Love your family. Hug your mother. Hug your friends. Love your spouse. Enjoy things that make you happy. Very inspirational. Are you inspired? I was... concentrating with all my mind to keep following it. If a police sketch artist came in here right now and said, what can you tell me about? I go, he said, I don't know. Why? Love family. It's hard. Love your spouse. It was good stuff. There's no doubt about it. It's hard for me to follow certain things. That's why you like Twitter. There's a character limit. Yeah. There's a character limit too.
Only it's like five times longer on Facebook. Oh, my gosh. I reached it on this. Wow. I am the question asker on Facebook. So I'm the guy on Facebook that likes to go, what was your first concert? I love it. I love that bit. Why do people do that? I hate that bit. I love it. I want to see what they say. I want to know. I'm fascinated. And I laugh. Oh, my gosh. Like, I laugh at some of the first concerts. Really? What was your first concert? New Kids on the Block. That's funny. That's funny. Now that's funny. So you actually chuckled that bad or you went, huh? The New Kids on the Block, maybe I wouldn't have. Maybe I wouldn't have on New Kids on the Block. But I remember a former boss of mine saying that he went to see a little known band called the Jackson Five. And I thought that was really cool. Yeah. That was interesting to me. But like, are you? Collecting data? Are you conducting a survey? That's what I want to know. Oh, I thought that was a real question. Oh, yes. I did one the other day on 94.9's page, and I just said, what are the albums that you love that you can listen through from beginning to end? Well, that's a music fan page for our station. So you're saying that makes sense? A little more sense. I still didn't like it. It still drove you nuts? She didn't respond?
I want to know what Lauren liked. I want to know because you know what? There's a lot of bands and albums that were listed that I'd never heard, but I wrote them down and I'm going to hear them. Here was another one I put on Facebook. I said, what is the most humiliating thing that you wore in your youth? Genius. Don't you get updates though on your phone? I hate when I get like 87 updates. That's why Rebecca said, babe, she goes, do you know that every day you'll lose a fan or two? on the Mikey Show fan thing? And I said, yeah. She goes, why does that happen? I said, because they don't turn off their notifications. They get sick of... And they don't want 900 emails coming in that say, you know, just turn that off and you won't get an email every time somebody responds to it. But sometimes I want it. That's why I avoid those particular posts. Oh, man. I like them. I love it. Dude. I love the survey questions. Love them. Lauren, can you answer that? What's that? What's the most humiliating thing that you wore as a kid that you're embarrassed to admit that you wore as a kid or in high school or whatever that you were into? I don't think I'd be embarrassed to admit it because I don't think anything I was wearing wasn't what anyone else wasn't wearing or was. Still. Yeah, it doesn't matter. I have one. It doesn't matter. When you think back on it, there's nothing that you're pretty humiliated about? Probably the doubled up socks.
Like the purple on top of the turquoise blue tube socks over top of stretch pants. Amazing. With a giant sweater off one shoulder. Amazing. Yeah, it is. I love that. Amazing. I want to know that. You too? Yes. I wore off-brand. Suspenders. Not the cool ones. I wore off-brand knockoff parachute pants. Wow. That I... Can't touch this. Yeah. That I was too chubby and short to wear. Warm anyway. And so it looked like five pounds of potatoes in a two pound bag. Yours was a real parachute. Yeah. They used a real parachute to make my pants. And by they, you mean you.
Mrs. Esparza. Yeah, by they, I mean my mom. Sewing machine. That's a sewing machine. I wanted, more than anything, I wanted a jean jacket. Okay? Just a plain old jean jacket. Easy footloose. Yeah. So, my dad, God love him, goes out and buys me a jacket made of denim, but it's not a jean jacket. Why? Because it had stuffing in it. It was a oversized, thick, I looked like a strawberry. Oh, my gosh. But I wore it, and it was a jean jacket. And I remember opening, I think I got it for Christmas, and I almost cried. That's fantastic. Because then it's like they did what you wanted, and they tried, and they failed. And you have to wear it because they feel bad. Yeah. My favorite movie, by the way, of all time, this is it. Kevin Bacon. Love it. It's why I started smoking. Such a rebel. Such a rebel. That's right.
It's the worst. It's the best. Sienna, most humiliating thing that you wore that you hate to admit it. I was such a dumb boy. The biggest. So I would wear my brother's clothes. But I remember when I was eight and my sister was born, my mom was going to the hospital to give birth. So my grandma had me and she took me shopping to get me something because the baby was coming. She wanted to reward me. I picked out royal blue cotton. boys shorts that went to my knees with a matching with a matching royal blue t-shirt royal blue cotton shorts with like the pockets that bulged out on the sides you know what position were you in softball and I had and that was my favorite outfit I wore it like almost every day yeah with I don't like air pump Reeboks or something like that. Oh, man. I loved it. It was the coolest outfit. So many pictures of me that age. I'm wearing it. My friend Mike Duke. Sounds made up. That's the truth. Sounds made up. That's the truth. My friend Bob Smith. My friend Mike Duke wore the Michael Jackson red leather jacket with zippers. Had it. You had it. Had it. Have pictures of me in it.
No way. Can we get pictures of all of us? Let me tell you something. My nanny made me the glove, by the way. She made you the glove? She made me the glove. True story. Dude, I'm just telling you, there's nothing funnier than a white kid wearing a red Michael Jackson jacket with zippers on it. There is nothing funnier than that. This was me going to middle school. Listen to this every morning. Lauren. I just remembered something embarrassing about myself. Unfortunately, it was not an outfit that I could just take off. I had a mullet. What?
Is there photographic evidence? I don't think that there is. Please, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien. Please, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien. Please, please, Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien. Or nobody should put her face on somebody with a mullet. Yes. Nobody should do that. Nobody should go to MikeyShow.com and find a picture of Lauren and Photoshop a mullet onto it. Nobody should do that. No one should ever do that. It's the worst haircut. How old are you? And email it to us immediately. No one should do that. 10, 11? I would give up a paycheck. I swear I would. It was like right when my hair was turning from like that little girl, like poker straight, thick, thick hair to like wavy, weirdo, like awkward hair. Yeah. So you figured, just give me the Katie Lang and I'll be fine. My mom was like, oh, I want to get that new layered look for her. Let's get the new layered look. Yeah. You know. And it ended up being, I would like, I would go out and play. And then my hair would, like, frizz up in the summertime. Easy. I love it. Seriously. It was, like, Billy Ray Cyrus. Can't see too well, Toby. And, like, a mushroom on my head. I love it. Question. At 29 years of age, someone walks in here right now with a black Samsonite suitcase and plops it down on top of this console. How much needs to be in that Samsonite suitcase in fresh $100 bills bound in paper that say 100s? How much?
Cash money would it take for you to allow yourself to wear a mullet today? Oh, like really cut my hair? Real money. Like have a mullet now. For how long? Oh, until it grew out. Until it grew out. Gosh, at least five figures. How much? At least five figures. So it would take at least $10,000. I think so. Really? So if somebody said $9,500 in cash, but you got to do a mullet. Only because I cried almost every day until that haircut grew out. It was humiliating. I would have shaved my head. Oh, yeah. I was already like flat chested, kneed, awkward, buck teeth. And then my mom gave me a mullet. Oh. And I was like, really, mom? Really? I would have caught mono. That's what I would have done. I would have caught mono on purpose. Other girls were like budding into beautiful young women. And I had a mullet. Budding. It's becoming just little angels, you know? Oh, Lord. I had like a small form of a mullet when I was in kindergarten. You did? Yeah, because my mom dropped me off at the haircut place and she told the girl what to do, but I was the tomboy that it was and I said I wanted it a little bit shorter. So it wasn't like, it didn't have like the long in the back of the neck, but it like was short above my ear and then went long. I mean, I have pictures. It was hideous. My mom cried when she picked me up.
I had the mom in eighth grade that wanted me to be like presentable and preppy. Yes. Mine too. And so I would wear little fat corduroys. Fat little corduroys. Okay. And then I would wear like a polo shirt over it, you know, but tucked in. Yeah, for sure. And then over that, like a baby blue sweater. crew neck, sweat, no, not a sweater, sweatshirt. A baby blue crew neck sweatshirt over it with the collars pulled out of it. Amazing. I mean, just mortifying. And because it was the corduroys and I was chubby, I'd walk and be like, it's like somebody rapping. Your thighs just rubbing. Yeah. My little fat little 12 year old thighs. My legs used to, I was like super skinny when I was little. And even when I wore those corduroys, it was a Do you guys ever tight roll your jeans? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Peg leg. Peg leg. Peg leg. Peg them. I used to wear a multicolored Chuck Converse, too. I'd wear a blue one and a pink one or a black one and a white one. Yeah, same time. I remember that being cool, though. I want pictures of that. And four or five, remember, swatches? Yeah, yeah. Four or five on one arm. Oh, yeah.
At the same time. Do you guys remember parachute pants? Yeah, that's what I was saying. Mikey had a real big call. I didn't hear it. Oh, yeah. Yeah, that was my first one, man. I had a red pair. Oh. Oh, that's rocking. And I used to tie bandanas on my legs. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. That's how cool I was. There was a video. We have to all get pictures. Oh, yeah. Mikey, there was a video for You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi. And John, who was my idol in sixth grade, he walks out on stage. They're ripped. Like just shredded. Kid got the scissors out and tried to make my own Bon Jovi jeans. That's awesome. I did that to my one-piece bathing suits. I tried to make them bikinis. I was like seven. Yeah, you can't do that. My mom was furious. You tried to make a one-piece into a bikini with scissors? Yeah, exactly. I did it to like four new bathing suits and I was like seven years old and I was trying to look like the girls on TV. That's awesome. Call us with the most... Humiliating thing that you wore in high school. That you now, when you look back on it, you're mortified knowing that you did it. I had Ferrari shades that folded up into a little tiny thing. And they went in their own case. And they were Ferrari brand. They were about that big. They were about five inches tall. You're going to be spot welding later in the day. So embarrassing, dude. That's awesome. Ferrari. I wish I had them now. Ferrari. 570-1949.
call us with the thing that you are so embarrassed that you did, but you did it. You used to wear it. Thought it was cool. You rocked it and you thought it was cool. There was always a lot of bracelet things that were in. Slap bracelet. I used to have that. The slap. Yeah, I used to have the big plastic pacifier necklace. Yeah. And I was like, you don't remember those? The pacifier? It was like a pacifier, but it was plastic. Were you taking ecstasy? Were you swinging glow sticks? No, I was like in fourth grade and they were so cool. The plastic pacifiers. I do not remember. I was a senior in college when you were in fourth grade. I was a sophomore in high school when she was born. Unbelievable. I know it. So was my husband. I know it. The funniest one that I saw on that Facebook thing when people were responding to it, this dude wrote back and said that he used to wear the Flava Flav clock necklace. Clock necklace around his neck. Flava Flav. I had a dangling earring. Oh, really? I had a dangling earring. You did? My dad was like, if you want to wear an earring, it better not be dangling. It better be a stud, and I'd really prefer that you didn't wear anything since you're a dude.
Did you guys both have your ears pierced? Yeah, my dad wanted to kill me. I had both. M1 Bruce? Hey, how's it going? Good. What did you do? I went through a period of time in high school where I was working for Polo Ralph Lauren. And I don't know what got into me, but there was a point in high school where I remember going to school one day wearing a black polo and a hot pink polo, one on top of the other. Layered polo. That's probably so cool then. Layered polo. Did you pop the colors? I don't think I popped the colors. I think you did. I definitely had like the black one over the pink one. Amazing. Leaves rolled up so they had like a pink ring. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. Thank you. That's brilliant. I love it. Absolutely brilliant. M1 Ben. Hey. What did you do? Oh, boy. For prom, me and my buddies, we all pegged our pants. Oh, gosh. Your tuxedos? Yeah, you pegged a tux? Yes. Oh, man. We were at Argyles, and it was pretty horrible, but we thought it was cool at the time, you know? Oh, yeah. I bet you were the guy, too, like me, that styled his hair before he put a hat on. You know, like you had the wing, and you laid the hat on top, and you had the wing of hair that went down. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I, yeah, yeah, yeah. See, I sound like Mikey.
I put my hat back, like, way back, so, like, the bill was, like, way up in the air. My hair was, like, spiked underneath the bill. Mine was more of a wing. I saw those ridiculous swoosh. I had a swoosh that was, like, you could get it bigger and bigger and bigger. It would become, like, a wall. It's like a cowlick. Yeah. Let me bring in a picture of my beautiful wife when she was in high school and her hair six feet out on either side, the big Texas hair. You showed it to me. I think I did. Yeah. M1 Kyle. Back in like 85, those black kung fu shoes everybody had to wear. I do not remember the kung fu shoes. With the split toes? They weren't split toe. They were just black canvas shoes, like cheap canvas with a brown bottom. I don't remember it. I don't either. That may have been a fad, but I don't remember it. I totally remember them. Do you? They were hideous. Really? Yes. M1 Scotty. I know it. That's when Sienna was born. Scotty, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. What did you have? I remember back in 7th and 8th grade, probably back in 78. I used to wear the, to the dances, the angel flights with a silk shirt. What are angel flights? Yeah, they're like slacks. They had like a seam running down the middle of them. Kind of like, think John Travolta. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's pretty bad. That's pretty bad. Thank you. 5701949. I don't know where you are. I'm so humiliated about Think America. I used to have this hat that had the word jobbers written on it.
I don't know why it said jobbers. I have no idea. But what it was, it was like one of those hats that they wear in the Outback. So it was like a... Was it a half up? No, no. It was like a baseball cap, but it had flaps. Panama Jack. Panama Jack. I had it too. You did? Yeah. Mine said jobbers. And for like three years, people called me jobbers. I had a Panama Jack one. Panama. Do you have the shades to wear with it with the vents on the sides? Yes. Yes. Listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Long day, honey? Uh-huh. I desperately need a trip to Blissville. Let's go. I'm totally craving a frappe at Mickey D's. A frappe what? Frappe. You're not making any sense. A frappe, as in McCafe frappe? What are you talking about? McDonald's takes a little coffee magic iced tea.
Serious sweetness. Then puts it on a blender and makes a delicious cup of perfection. Wow. In mocha or caramel flavors. Nice. I drop a straw through the whipped cream and chocolate or caramel drizzles. And suddenly, I'm on a fast train to Blissville. There room for two on that ride? McDonald's new sweet blended iced McCafe frappes. Made with a hint of coffee and real whipped cream. Your day just got a little cooler and a whole lot sweeter. I think it's Kane, isn't it? Kane West. Kanye. That's good. 570-1949 is our number, and you can also text us, 949mikey, at gmail.com if you want to. Let's see. We were talking about stuff that embarrassed us. Stuff from our childhood that embarrassed us. The list is long. Yeah. Lauren said she was very, like, legitimately upset at her mom for the haircut, the mullet. Until that haircut grew out and a little thereafter. Yeah. I could see how that would happen.
Are you guys ready for a little bit of this right here? Let's get fired up. Lauren was doing the cheerleader. Arm, arm, arms. Okay. Okay. We talked yesterday about Ben Roethlisberger and some of the trouble he's in. Earlier in the year, I'm sorry, earlier last year, he was accused of raping a girl at a Lake Tahoe casino. He's not been charged in that case. And then recently this weekend, He was hanging out at a nightclub in Georgia, and he has been accused of sexually assaulting another young lady. Yeah. So he went and hired an attorney named Ed Garland, who has said Ben is completely innocent of any crime. And for those of you guys that don't know Ed Garland, he was Ray Lewis's attorney when Ray was brought up on murder charges.
He got Ray Lewis out of it. He did. So why does Big Ben need such a high-profile lawyer if he's innocent? Well, he knows it's a second time, so people are going to look badly upon him. So he wants to make sure everything is scratched clean. Yep. I'll tell you, if it's me and there's that kind of heat going around, like, stay out of certain places. Yeah, exactly. Because if you go into certain places, who knows what will happen. What was he doing in the middle of Random Town, Georgia? You know, I asked that question yesterday, and I found out he's got a house about 20 miles from there. Is that where he's from? No, he's not from there, but that's just where he resides. I knew there had to be a reason. Yeah, exactly. I still, I don't know, makes no sense to me. But 2010 has not been a good year for Allen Iverson. Basically, we talked last week about Stephen A. Smith, who was the, he is. a columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer. Also, he's on ESPN a lot. Stephen A. Smith has come out and said, listen, Allen Iverson has a serious drinking problem and a serious gambling problem. Really? So, it's just not been his year. His wife has filed for divorce. His daughter is said to be seriously ill. His NBA career is in sharp decline. He's not playing the rest of this year. The quote from Stephen A. Smith was, Iverson will either drink himself into oblivion or gamble his life away.
So Iverson wanted to respond to these charges. And if you guys can guess, where did he go to respond? Twitter. Yeah, Twitter. To my fans, you all know that my life isn't perfect. I'm going through some very tough times right now, like I am sure that we all do from time to time. However, I will stand tall like always with rhino thick skin. Even though I have become used to hearing people say things about me that aren't true, it still hurts and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Thanks for your support. Thanks for your help. That's uncharacteristically big of Iverson. You're right. And it's, like I said, though, it has not been his year. That is sad. Finally, in UFC news, Kimbo Slice is going to fight Matt Mitrione at UFC 113. That's going to be in Montreal. We talked last week about Super Chubbs, James, Tony joining the UFC. Yeah. And so they thought Kimbo was going to fight Tony. They said no. They sent out a press release yesterday and said it's going to be Kimbo against Matt Mitrione, UFC 113 on May 8th in Montreal. And that is Woods on Sports. Got a text message from M1 Sanjaya. And Sanjaya said that this morning at 9.30, they're going to be doing a live media coverage on the Amber Dubois case. My guess, they're probably going to say something definitive.
About this guy. John Gardner. John Gardner. That's my guess. Yep. That it's an official words coming down that they're going to charge him. But I don't know. We'll see. Something tells me if that's the case, they obviously struck some kind of a plea deal with the guy. But we'll have to wait and see. Let's do, and you guys need to just settle down. We're going to do some Name That Tune. Oh, boy. There we go. Call and pick your horse, Sienna, Woods, or Lauren. It's going to be a little name, that tune. Right. We are going to do this today with what? Is it movies today that we're doing this with, Jay? Or what are we doing it with? It is TV themes and movie songs. TV themes and movie songs. Oh. A combo. So who do you think will do better on this? Do you think it will be Sienna, Woods, or Lauren? And they run pretty even.
I'd say any one of them is your bet. There's not like a clear favorite. They've all won a few times. I knew it. Isn't there a clear favorite? Haven't you all won quite equally? Two. You won two, Lauren? I've won like six. Oh, really? Yeah, really. I've won 15. All right. Thank you very much. All right. And when I said two, I meant 200. Yeah, 200. Yeah, take that, Woodsy. 5-7-0. 194.9, if you want to give this thing a try. 570, 194.9, you're going to pick Sienna, Woods, or Lauren. It's up to you. M1, SoCal, who do you want? Sienna. You got it. I love you. Hang on the line. He's picked me before. I think he has. Sienna just stood up with authority. I did. She's ready to do this. Sienna, you know what you're going to be hearing a lot of? What?
That's what I like to hear, Mike. You mean when I answer the question right and you hit that button? That's right. M1 Henry. Yep. Who do you want? What? Attaboy. Weird. Weird. M1 Winder. What's up, guys? You get one. Hey, I won for him before I won. You did. You did, actually. Let's go, girl. That's right. Hang on the line. Winder was in here on Friday. I'm playing golf with Winder next week. Is that right? Yep. Another little bromance. I need to borrow your clubs, by the way. He didn't pick you, though. He didn't pick you, though. I know. All right, you guys ready? Yes. They yell out their name. If they get it wrong, we deduct a point. You yell out your name. This is TV theme songs and movie themes? Mm-hmm. It's overwhelming. Okay, Mikey, you're the judge. My word is final. Your word is final. And one more thing. I know. I know. Don't yell my name and then the answer. Wait for him to call on you. Yes. Fine. We're like babies. Woods goes, Woods, Sanford and Son. I'm like, Woods, wait. You didn't win, dude. Hang on. You ready? Yeah. I'm so scared. Me too. I'm about to vomit. Here we go. Be your mom. Yeah.
That's right. I don't have to jump. I have to jump. She gets so excited. She jumps up and down. Boobs flying everywhere right here. You're welcome. You're welcome. Here we go. Here we go. Mark. Lauren. What? I think it was Lauren. Weird. I could have said I think it was me. You can't. Jay. Jay. Make the call. I'm sorry. I was answering the phone. What if we all pick a number? Dumb and Dumber. Really? Oh, no. Look at Woods. Just threw his pen in the air. Like a child. Seriously? Who's the child? I'm not kidding. We're like in preschool. Seriously. Are you ready? Here we go. Sienna. Sienna. Wait. Jungle Book. It's those moments of truth. You ready? Woods. Damn it. No idea. Got to deduct a point.
That was Robin Hood, Men in Tights. They're men. We're men in tights. I knew it. We're men in tights. We roam around the forest looking for lights. I thought they said tight tights. They do eventually. This is a good one to play. I got some work to do. We've got from the rich and give to the poor. That's right. We may look like sissy. We're fine to say more else. We'll put out your lights. We're men. We're men in tights. Always on guard, depending on people's rights. You ready? Yes. Lauren. Growing pains. Holy cow. That was good. Damn. Ready? Yeah. Woods. A team? Wow. Got it. This is now at zero. Back at zero, yeah. I'm at zero. Oh, yeah. You ready? Yep. What's the score? Sienna, two. Woods, zero. And Lauren, two. Here we go. Lauren. Pee Wee's Playhouse. Nice. That is correct. I was like, I should know this. It sounds little kiddish. I know. Seriously. I was like, I'm out. Here we go. Full house. That is correct. Was it? That was full house. Play it again. I just erased it. I instantly took him off so I don't plan it. Here we go. Lauren. Parches family. That is correct. Oh, my God. I'm getting slayed. Sorry, Henry. Just hang up. Just hang up, dude. You ready?
Look at Sienna. Look at Sienna. Her face instantly glowed. Sienna! Jurassic Park! Yes. Wow, good pull. That is correct. I was like, I know this. I'm picturing a jungle. Is Woodsy mathematically eliminated? Yeah. He's standing there with his hands behind his back with that look on his face like, yeah, this is fun coming to work today. Yeah. Real good. He's just staring at the scores. Ass kick. You ready? Lauren. Lauren. Married with children. Dude, she's a beast at this game. Man. Ready? Winder. Woods, Miami Vice? Woods. No, he doesn't get it. He doesn't get it. It's a point deducted. Point deducted. Point deducted. Point deducted. You can't say your name and then the word. If I'm the only one that says something, I can. No, I have to call on you. You have to. We went over the rules every time. I even made a joke out of it. Remember that part where I go wood Sanford inside? Is it negative? No, it's not negative. Of course it is. It is? I know, Mike. Such BS. You ready? Yeah. Lauren, The Simpsons. Of course. How did I not? How did I not? I don't watch cartoons. Here we go. Sienna. Toy Story. You've got to see Sienna.
I was, like, dancing along. But she gets it. I thought Buzz Lightyear in my head. When she gets it, she turns it. She's dancing, right? And then when she gets it, she turns around like a light bulb. She's got this giant smile on her face and screams her name out. Are you ready? Wait. Does it matter now? I don't know. I don't know. Lauren's winning by a lot. Yeah, Lauren. Well, it's like. Let's keep going. I'm having fun. Well, we got two more, and I think we should. Hold on. Let's just go. Oh, yeah. She just got the fourth one, though. She did? Yeah. No, she can't. I could not try. She can't. But I can coup d'etat somebody, maybe. Let's play it out. That guy is... Woods. Woods? Tommy Boy. Good job. You did it, Woods. Yay, boy. You guys are too young. I remember this instantly. I feel like I know it is, but I don't want to do it. Woods on Golden Pond. How dare you? How dare you, sir? Congratulations. to M1Winder again. Sorry, SoCal. Lauren killed it for you again, Winder. Sorry, Henry. I just got punked. I just got punked. Good job, dude. What up, guys? What up? You just won. CDs, nuts. What did he win? Did he win CDs, Jay? Stapler. Yeah, six-pack of CDs. Six-pack of CDs. Nuts. And a set of steak knives. Hang on the line. First prize of Cadillac.
Cadillac Eldorado. Second prize? She said steak knives. Third prize is you're fired. Yeah, you want to know what second prize is? Second prize set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired. I wish I knew what you guys were talking about. Are you serious? I am. Come on. Now you know how I feel every day. Oh, that's some of the greatest stuff ever. It's the greatest scene in any movie ever. It's in Glengarry Glen Ross, and it's Alec Baldwin teaching these old clowns how to sell. You might as well just have said, Nagasa? Really? Oh, man. Some of the greatest stuff ever. 570. Tell me you got it. 194.9. I do somewhere. Tell me you got it in there. It is somewhere. Oh, the clip? I have to look for it. What is it? Kramer versus Kramer or something? What did you guys say? Glenn Gary, Glenn Ross. Oh, yeah. I remember Alec Baldwin in there. Always be closing. Always. B closing. Amazing. ABC. A always, B, B, C closing. Yeah, I know that one. Yes. It's a pretty good movie. Brings me back to the good old days of sales. I'm out. Like Kiss? Do you call yourself a salesman? Yeah. All right. Love it. What are we going to do? I got a lot of stuff to tell you. So much stuff we have not covered that I need to before we go. What about... Hey, I didn't even know this.
What's Simon Cowell and Sting have a feud about? They have a little bit of a beef going on a while back. Now, I want to say like a year back. Can I guess? Yeah, go ahead. Is it because one has talent and the other one has none? Is that it? Who has none? Yeah, who has none? Guess. Simon freaking Cowell. Oh, I think he's... I disagree with that. Oh, dude. He's the only one on that show that I think knows anything. Exactly. I agree with everything he says. What about Randy Jackson? No. No. Stop it with that. He always has a... Simon, I think, is the only one that's honest. Yeah. And he's always really honest. And he's confident. He knows that, you know, he speaks his mind and it's accurate. Yeah, he's no Sting. Well, last November, Sting... I almost said Steam. Steam. Steam. Steam's brother. Yeah. Steam. Poor guy, right? All through high school, they're like, Steam. He got the cool name and then his brother... You got Steam. Sophomore year, he finally transferred to Sting's school. I'm sorry, Sting is a cool name? Yeah. Sting? Hey, Steam. Hey, bro. Your brother was just looking for you, dude. He's the one with all the girls following. I was combining Sting and Simon. If that makes sense at all. So why is there a few? Well, apparently, yeah, last November, Sting kind of went off on Simon Cowell, not to his face, but behind his back, of course, saying that American Idol and The X Factor were basically poposterous.
And they were televised karaoke and whatever. Simon never even responded to that. But Sting was a little bit harsh. But now Simon has responded randomly. And he said, first of all, anybody who at the age of 60 who calls himself Sting is an idiot. I find those kind of people who come from quite humble beginnings and they're now living in these stately homes, professing to know everything about everyone in the world. I mean, he just goes on basically calling Sting an idiot. I was listening to Kixi 96.5. They play light and easy favorites. And they were playing a little sting music. It was this song right here. It's Fragile from Sting. And I was like, wow, this is a really nice easy jazz moment. I wonder what people would think if they knew that I was driving right now enjoying this song as much as I am. Because I'm telling you, I cranked the sting in the car. I love it. Oh, Fields of Barley. Yeah, that's good. Or Fields of Gold. It's a good one, too. You know what's on Lauren's mind? She's thinking about lunch. You hungry? Hungry, Lauren? I'm feasting on fields of barley. Doesn't he say barley? Yeah, he does. I knew what you were talking about. When you're in the fields of barley, when you're in the store, and you want to get a sandwich. Wouldn't that be great?
Wouldn't it be great if barley was nowhere in the song? I don't know that it is. It is. It is. Right here. Barley. Wheatgrass. She's thinking about lunch. Maybe one of the greatest lines I've ever heard, Jay. Oh, yeah. As we lie in fields of barley. Lion fields of wheat. I love how I said it with such conviction. You're like, yeah, fields of barley. Amazing song. The kombucha is sweet. It's one of the most amazingly composed songs. It tastes like feet. It's like reading somebody's blog and they're really serious about something and they totally jack up. And you're like, well, how do I take it seriously now? Because, you know. I did that in one of my blogs last week. You did?
I realized that I accidentally wrote gluten instead of glutton. And it was up for a couple days. Yes. Yeah. The misspell. I've broken up with girls because they couldn't spell right. It just kills me. It was spelled right. It was just the wrong word. The wrong word. Yeah. Woodsy was an English major. I was. And so speech is very important to him. Spelling is very important to me. Mm-hmm. What was the word that Lauren said last week? Deter. Deter. I'm sticking with it. It is not right. I know you say it's deter. She goes, you know. I don't even know if execution will deter criminals because there's no... And then she followed up with... I'll stick by it. There's really no real evidence that it'll deter. I think it's a regional thing. I don't know. Like, I say carrots. Carrots. Or, like, Florida. Florida. Carrots. Carrots. She says her own name, Lauren. Lauren. Yeah, that's because that's what it is. Lauren. It's Lauren. 5701949. There was a ugly dog contest in Del Mar. Oh, come on, dude. What's wrong with that? There's no such thing. There's no such thing as an ugly dog. Oh, there's such things as hideous dogs. Do you want to see the picture, Mike, before I tell the story? Yes. This is the winner? Yes. He's adorable. That's not an adorable dog. I thought Mikey was going to go, oh, God. That's one of the most unfortunate things. No way. You know what it looks like, honestly?
A little angel. Looks like a little angel. Not a little angel. It looks like that dog would be found at the end of a pencil. Ah, can I see it, Mike? He's adorable. It's like Yahoo Serious, but a dog. Oh, my gosh. They have no idea what you're talking about. No, they don't, right? It looks a little bit like Sting or David Bowie or something. It's like he's singing Fields of Barley in that picture, isn't it? He's so cute. Those big browns. You think that's a cute dog? I love dogs. NBC 739 is where you can find the picture, right? Yeah. Oh, wow. Well, this ugly dog contest was on Sunday in Del Mar. And Little Rascal, that's the dog's name, won. And he's a descendant of Chi-Chi, who is listed in the Guinness...
book of world records for winning the most ugly dog contest. That's the ugliest dog in the world, that Chi Chi dog. Is that the one with the gnarly teeth and all that? Yes, and the one blue eye. It's really weird. Well, that's one of Chi Chi's kids. And proceeds from the event benefit the Helen Woodward Animal Shelter, so it's for a good cause. But yes, their owners put them into the contest, and she is an African sand dog. But I guess he's, oh, it's a he. But he's listed as a purebred Chinese crested on the website. Yeah. They're, like, hairless, but they have, like, random hair sprouting out in weird places. Oh, like me. Like me, too. My arms. No hair on my arms. Yeah. My arms are like a 12-year-old boy. Rascal has three other titles in ugly dog contests, like in Texas, in California, in other places, too. Yeah. Well, it's unfortunate. It breaks my heart. If I saw that dog, I would buy it, though. I would, too. Because I would know that most people wouldn't. This was Tim McGraw on the red carpet. Who made it? Roberto Caballi. Asking Faith Hill, what are you wearing? Caballi. How about you, Tim? What are you wearing? And who's dressing you tonight? Dolce Cabana. Wow. Did you say Cabana? How is it? Cabana. Gobana? Gobana? Wow. Cabana.
Dolce and Cabana. Unbelievable. Welcome to Tennessee, pal. I wonder what his wife's face looked like. Dolce and Cabana. Isn't it, baby? Baby, is this Dolce and Cabana or what? Hey, you say tomato. Yeah. My wife says it's Dolce and Cabana. What? She for sure wears the pants in that relationship. Faith Hill? I'm calling it 100%. I'm so hot. She's really hot. Jano, Carrie Underwood. That's for sure. I think they're both beautiful. Me too. Every woman's beautiful. All women are beautiful, inside and out. All women are beautiful inside and out. Now I'm trying to get out. So here's what we're going to do, kids. This is my promise to you. If it doesn't happen in 30 minutes or less, it's free. I mean it.

And it says, hey, Mikey, I was paying over $200 a month for auto insurance and my wife had never driven because it would have been another $200 to insure her because she had zero years of driving experience even though we share a vehicle. I shopped around and none of the other companies were much better, so I gave up. And then I heard you talk about AIS. AIS literally changed our lives. They found us an insurance company that only charged me 400 bucks every six months. And instead of going by how many years of driving experience my wife had, they went by her age. Since we share a vehicle, AIS was able to get my wife coverage for $6 a month. I know people procrastinate like I did, but I urge you to do like I did. And next time you're bored, call AIS.
And within three minutes, you'll have a quote. And when you see how low that quote is, within 10 minutes, you'll have switched to AIS. That is a real person. M1 Anthony. I like a beer belly. I'm going to tell you that right now. And Jay. Howdy ho, neighbors. On FM 94.9. My faves, brother. This is probably my favorite Pearl Jam song. It's up there for me, too. Absolutely love it. It just has a real cool sound. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show.
And we got some new releases to do with you here. What do we got? What do we got today, Sienna? I'm going to start with albums. All right. Coming out today, Valley of Neptune. Jimi Hendrix right back. Let's see. All the way in. I think it's great that he's putting out new music. That must be difficult. It must be difficult for him. He still sounds the same. He's part of the 27 Club. That's right. He is. Died when he was 27. Him, Cobain. Janis Joplin. Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison. It's creepy, isn't it? We're just saying names. No. James Gunn. No. Engelbert Humperdinck. Engelbert Humperdinck. Shirley Temple. Yeah. Also out today, the Gorillaz, Plastic Beach. Not a fan, Woodsy. You can dance if you want to. Love it. Do not get this band. I do not get it. I don't get it. You don't speak Gorillaz? I don't speak Gorillaz. Sounds like Depeche Mode. What's wrong with Depeche Mode? Nothing. I love Depeche Mode, but this is like remade Depeche Mode.
I'm out. I don't like Damon Albarn, anyway. I'm out. Broken Bells by Broken Bells. Sounds pretty good. Sounds good to me. Yep. I like that. I do, too. Little Gary Allen. Get off on the pain. There's a side of me that just won't stop. Yeah. Yeah, just get off on the pain. What's wrong with that? Out. Beat the Devil's Tattoo, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Yes! Don't think we have that one, do we? Oh, no? Nope. Also, oh, that one's... At the end, I think. I went out of order. Sorry. We have Ludacris, Battle of the Sexes. This one's on the radio right now. It sounds so different than anything. It goes, how low can you go? How low can you go? Not everybody can do that. I just did it.
Ben Harper. Yeah, but when you did it, it sounded like that, all right? It didn't sound like Ludacris. Oh, I want to hear the sound. It sounded like Whitacris, okay? When you did it. Very different. Whitacris. Yeah. White guyacris. Yep. Ben Harper is also out today, live from Montreal. Lauren's about to snap your neck, Mike. Why? I didn't say a word. I know. She was looking at... I didn't say a word. Unlike when I played Minerva and she stuck her finger down her throat. Remember that? She did? She stuck her finger right down her throat. I almost launched over this console. That song's amazing. It's the greatest song ever. Amazing. She was like... Why can't we all just get along? We never will. We don't like the same music. Have we ever all liked the same song? No. No, that's not true. That's exactly true.
We all like Woods on Sports. That's the only song we all like. That's the only song we all like. I think we all like Pieces by Red. Every time I play Pieces, you say you like it. Which is that one? Lauren says she likes it. It has the instrumental with the cello. It's a really pretty song. I like that. I don't know what it is. You do. You've heard it. It's this one. Surprise. It slays me. Oh, yeah. I already know it. Isn't that pretty? Yeah. All right. What else is out today? Josh Rouse, El Turista. Oh, yeah. I'm glad I'm picking this up later today. Are they going to break? We should do this. I think they're going to. Let's see. How do I bring this up? How do I bring this up? Right now they're doing a press conference about Amber Dubois because if you didn't hear, her body was discovered. What's going on here today? He said yes. We saw a little bit of going back and forth between the public defender and the deputy DA. But what we were able to glean from that is the preliminary hearing and where we move forward from this point with John Gardner in the case of Chelsea King, possibly Amber Dubois. We're going to have some other questions. They're going to have to be answered, though, but the date, August 4th at 8.15 a.m. Yeah, and you heard Michael Popkins, the deputy.
the public defender rather, he said, look, I don't have any of the police reports available to me. I want to request a date of September. And you heard the deputy district attorney say, look, I'm going to have everything to you within the next 24 hours. And the victim's family in this case doesn't want to have to wait any further. We need to proceed as fast as we can. And she requested a date of July. The judge did then settle on that August 4th date. We're, of course, going to continue to follow this story and bring you an update live from the courthouse there at 11. Sounds like there's a delay then. No, I think that's the trial date. The trial date is August 4th, is what it sounds like to me. It would not be August. They just said the defender wanted time, and then the prosecutor said we want July, so they met in the middle for August. They want time to be able to put their ducks in a row. I wonder. August 4th. I feel like those dates always get pushed back. Oh, yeah. I hope not. That's the defense strategy. It seems amazing to me that they would wait that long. I know. I mean, on one hand, you go, OK, if I'm getting accused of a crime and I'm innocent, I didn't do it, which is what you are in this country. You're innocent until you're proven guilty. So if we're presuming that a person is innocent, you go, well, how much time do you need to be able to put together my defense?
That's a long time. And I don't think he's eligible for bail, right? So he'll just be sitting. He'll just be rotting. Yeah, but, hey, listen, I think that the evidence is pretty clear in this case. I'm just saying in general, it's a long time. That dude doesn't want to be out of jail, trust me. No, he doesn't. He wouldn't make it to his car. No, and the deal is that I understand his family, too, or her family. They just want this thing. Let's get this show on the road. Get it over with. Absolutely. What else is out today? We didn't finish Josh Rouse, Altarista. I already finished it. Oh, okay. Little White Church, and that's a single by Little Big Town. Who the hell is Little Big Town? I've never heard of them in my life. I like it. Well, because you've never heard of them, they must be awful. Fair enough. I like country. I like good country. This is good. This is good. You're a sick snob. Yeah, sounds like pop. Yeah. Hate pop country. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Greatest Hits. Yeah, dude, come on. Really? I don't, I can't rock out to a girl singer. I'm sorry. Watch out. Hang on, hang on. If it's a chick lead singer rock artist, like rock, like, I can't get into it. Chick lead singers love girl singers.
But I like girl singers to be like sweet and beautiful. I don't like them to be like cookie monster. There's a new movie coming out about John Jack. I can't wait. That'll be my selection. They re-released them. The Runaways. I feel like Bauman with the glove on. Yeah, I could see that. Because to me, rock and like heavy metal and rock is like a very testosterone-y thing. So you weren't a big Warlock fan. Was it Warlock? What is that? Doro Pesh? That's a female heavy metal singer? No idea. Was it Warlock? I don't know what that meant. Do you like pink? No. For that reason, like the tough girl singers. She's farty too. The tough girl singers, I can't do it. She's really farty. Also on today, Big Echo, The Morning Benders. Big Echo, oh yeah, I have it. Is it like a pause? What kind of music is it? I don't know. Sounds like Outlast. Yeah, it does, but keep it going for a minute. Yeah, I want to see what this is. Sounds like Engelbert Humperdinck. What? I'm not out on it. I'm not out on it. Keep going. That's it. That's all we got. Christian Cain. Christian Cain. Self-titled. Put a bullet in my eye. I like new country. Oh, my God. I do. Sorry, I like it. I like it, too. I used to work at a country station.
Great. Waylon Jennings is rolling over in his grave right now. That's good, too. That stuff's good, too. Waylon Jennings, George Jones. I love that. But I like all the new stuff, too. All of it? There's not too much of it I don't like. Brad Paisley. Did you see his fall, though, over the weekend? Oh, yeah. Brad Paisley. If you don't know it, Brad Paisley fell on stage and he had to go to the hospital. I'm going to have to YouTube that. South Carolina. It's on my blog if you want to check it out. Perfecto. Are there any more songs up there? There's one more. Black. Rebel. No, I don't have it. Beat the Devil's Tattoo? Don't have it. What else? That's what I really wanted to hear. Yeah, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Beat the Devil's Tattoo is out and Tyrone Wells. Oh, we do have that. Metal and wood. We got it. I like it. Instantly I like it. Never heard it in my life. Weird. Weird. Does this surprise you that I like it? No. Why, because it's slow? What is the identifier? But they're getting my style. How did you guys know I would like it? I think when it sucks, I think I know that Mike likes it, right? Poppy and there's auto-tune all over that. Not the auto-tune that you talk about with the manipulation. Yeah, but they've fixed his voice. Yeah. Don't be a sheep, Mike. I don't know who Tyrone Wells is. I just know I'm buying it today. I like it. I'm buying it. Oh, yeah. Like, if I'm laying on a beach in Maui with my iPod in. You mean in your hotel room.
Looking at your computer. Looking at your beach screensaver? Yeah, yeah, yeah. If I'm looking over the room service, out the window, over the balcony, to the beach, from my bed, with my laptop on my lap, as I'm listening to this, it would be great. Perfect. Inside the air conditioning. You guys must have the most relaxing vacation. Yeah, they actually take a vacation. Yeah. That's great. Unplug. Nothing. Except for the computer and the cell phone. Are you ready for the DVDs? Yeah. The DVDs that are out today, Old Dogs with John Travolta and Robin Williams. Oh, wow. Planet 51. That was an animated movie with The Rock's voice, Jessica Biel, Sean William Scott, Justin Long. Precious is out today. Oh, really? And I want to buy it. It's too heavy. I want it. Too heavy. It's heavy. Nominated for a million Academy Awards. Don't make fun of her. I mean, it's, you know, it's a serious movie. It's serious, but it just looks too much. He didn't say she looks heavy. Oh. I was just like, don't make fun of her, dude. Okay. I mean. Not she looks heavy. The movie looks heavy. It's not cool. Up in the air. How dare you. George Clooney. I want to see that. Up in the air. Yep. The Boondock Saints 2. Oh, it's out today? All Saints Day. Yeah. Too bad. It's not your week. No, it's on DVD, kid. So it is my week. Lauren does not listen to the Boondock Saints. She's not even listening.
Every time she says something and it has nothing to do. I was talking about breaking earlier. Yeah, she's like, yeah, Kramer vs. Kramer, it's a great movie. You don't get to pick it up because it's not your week. But you don't get to pick what movie we're going to watch in the HBO cable when we check into the Super 6 Motel. Also... Wait, wait, wait. Oh, okay. No? Oh, we're good. Also, there's a movie that I had no idea existed with Richard Gere and it's called... It's called... What? It's called... It's called... Hatchy, A Dog's Tale. Hatchy? Really? It looks like a movie that Riley Cyrus would be in. I thought he was a good actor. Richard Gere, what happened? He is. Well, he's in that. Now we're on to video games. This is like Chinese to me. What do we got? Final Fantasy. What's X with three? Run through these. Get through these as fast as you can. Final Fantasy Limited Edition Pokemon HeartGold Version with Figurine.
Yakuza 3, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, Winter Blast Snow and Ice Games, Racket Sports with Camera, Calling, Salmon Max 2 Beyond Time and Space, Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Fight Stick Tournament Edition S Black. Okay, I'm reading it and you're snoring over there. I didn't snore, I swear. I did not snore. Well said. I did not snore. Blaze Blue, Calamity Trigger. Look at you read through that. That is like another language. The reason I have Sienna do those video games is because I get slayed if I don't. I know. I get a million emails and stuff of people going, what about the video games? Somebody's going to call and slay you. It's calamity trigger. What did I say? Calamity. Whatever. Well, you read them real fast. When I kicked it off to the video games, I said, I'm sorry. It's like Chinese to me. These are coming out. Mike, that is coming out today. Yeah. Well said. Nakasa. It's called Yakuza. There you go. Yakuza. Yakuza. There we go. That's your new releases. Yeah? Okay. Oh, my goodness. Oh, I shouldn't have done that. Oh, dear.

So, how old do you think the oldest person in the United States is that just passed away? How old do you think they live to be? Over or under is 104. What's he? I'll take the over. Lauren? Over for sure. Uh, Jaybird. Over or under? 104 years old. What would you take? Say it. Oh, he can't hear us. He can't hear us.
He just took the over. What did he say? He said over. He gave the thumbs up. The oldest person in the United States has just died. It is a woman from New Hampshire, and she was 114 years old. That's amazing. Yeah. Apparently, one of her granddaughters said that... You know, she enjoyed life. She never even thought about dying. She was actually planning for her next birthday party. Probably like Woods, blasting cigs. Yeah. Smoking. Smoking, dipping. Dipping. I know. 114. That's always a deal. Yeah. Always. It's the Keith Richards of the worlds that live to be 118 years old. Yep. My dad? Yeah. Sienna's dad's real name. Shocking. Keith Richards. I love it. I love it. So the latest with Conan O'Brien's Twitter friend that he's made famous? If you haven't heard about this, Conan O'Brien has a little spare time on his hands. And so he got on Twitter and just decided to change one of his followers' lives. This girl, her name is Sarah Keelan from Flowerville, Michigan. And Fowlerville, Michigan, before someone corrects me.
And Keelan has been interviewed. This girl is all over the place. And she just said that now since Conan pointed her out, she has like 20,000 followers on Twitter. Before she only had three. Now she's getting married in September, September 25th. And people involved in the wedding industry have contacted her. She's now getting shoes, a dress, a limo, wedding bands, like vineyard. are sending them wine. Like, she's having her whole dream wedding, and they weren't going to be able to afford it. And all because Conan O'Brien pointed her out on Twitter. That's pretty cool. Isn't that amazing? Mm-hmm. 570-1949, beginning and end of every show. Open phones. You can call about whatever you want, and we take your calls. So give us a call. Can I say one thing really quick? Sure. Because I'm really excited about this story. Sure. Betty White, you may have heard the rumors over the last few months. People have been campaigning on Facebook and stuff to try to get Betty White on SNL, Saturday Night Live. And she has just confirmed she will be on Saturday Night Live for the first time. Nice. How about that? 88 years old. Boy, she better not. What? She better not tank, dude. After all this.
funny. After all this? It's all because of the Super Bowl commercial. The Snickers commercial she was in. People just love her. What was the stuff from the Oscars that everybody was like... Asking questions about that they just gave all the answers to. Well, okay. One of the big things was why wasn't Farrah Fawcett included in the memorial montage they did at the Oscars of all the people who passed away? That was a real big deal. Really big. And it's still a big deal. The answer that was given in this article I found was basically that there just wasn't enough room. Ooh. Yeah. Wow. Was she any motion pictures? Yeah, dude. What? I don't know. Oh, no. Ryan O'Neal, her boyfriend of many years, he has voiced his concern and his disapproval. And he said it was a terrible decision and very hurtful. Farrah was a member of the Academy for over 40 years. And we could not believe she did not get a mention. That's shocking. I mean, it's Farrah Fawcett. Yeah. I know she was on Charlie's Angels. And other than Charlie's Angels, I don't know what she did. The Burning Bed. That was a made-for-TV movie. Yes.
So this is the Academy Awards motion picture. But she was an Academy member. They probably had some clown music director or something. You put Farrah Fawcett on there. Yeah. Another weird thing from the Oscars was... Really? Yes. She wasn't a big movie star. Yes. If it was the Emmys, it totally makes sense to me. Yeah, but they did Michael Jackson. Why? Why wouldn't they do Farrah Fawcett? Why? And she was an actress. Because he was an icon. He was in one... Well, I'll tell you this. She was an icon. Oh, I agree with you. They died the same day. I agree with you. But Michael Jackson was in one more movie than I can think of that Farrah Fawcett was in. Here we go. It's the truth. I'm just telling you the truth. IMDb. IMDb. I'm going to make it right for you, dude. And maybe I'll go, oh, yeah, I forgot she was in that. Well, why Woods is looking that up, I'll tell you a couple other things. Sandra Bullock, when she won for Best Actress, she gave in her acceptance speech, she kept mentioning how she and Meryl Streep have... kissed before? And everyone's like, what is... Well, apparently, they were tied for Best Actress at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards earlier that year, and they shared in a victory kiss. Also, Sandra Bullock talked about George Clooney pushing her in the pool, and he did with Tom Cruise years ago. I guess they pushed her in a pool. M1 Stephanie. M1 Stephanie, you there? There. I'm here. What movie? Cannonball Run.
Yeah, Cannonball Run. Great call. Classic. Here you go, Mike. Somebody killed her husband. Of course, you remember that one. How dare you? She did a lot of TV. Yeah, I mean, she was a television star. I had her poster on my wall. Everyone did. If it was the Emmy Awards, it would be a travesty. It's still a travesty. But Ryan O'Neal said she was a member of the Academy for over 40 years. I mean, if that's true. Listen. I'm not saying that it wouldn't have been great if they had included Farrah Fawcett. Who would possibly have a problem if they included Farrah Fawcett? My thing is that they're making a hoopla that they didn't include Farrah Fawcett at the Academy Awards, and the biggest movie that anybody can say that she was in was Cannonball Run. Dr. T and the women? I forgot. Well, I think it probably was her death was overshadowed a lot by Michael Jackson. I know.
And so... I kind of think it's weird that Michael Jackson was a big part of the Academy Awards, right? I don't know if you... Woods, are you okay? Woodsie? There's an almond in my throat. I'm dying right now. I have to tell you another one of these Oscar mysteries. Yeah. It's funny. Lauren and Jay will like it. Go ahead. Woody Harrelson showed up in a tux. And people were wondering, what's the deal with his tux? It looks very funny. Yeah. Hemp. It was made out of hemp. Are you serious? Yeah. Oh, that's goofy. It was made out of hemp. Of course it was. That's what Matt Lauren's boyfriend will be getting married in. That's right. And it'll match her straw dress. Yeah. Made out of barley. Yeah. Can I tell you, I saw that headline and I was like, ooh. Ooh. Yeah. Way to go. George Clooney, a lot of people were wondering why he looked so grumpy. He was caught with a flask in his pocket. Yeah, he probably hadn't had sex in five minutes, too. Oh, yeah. Probably had something to do with it. And a lot of people were mad that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie weren't there. They weren't nominated people. That's why they weren't there. Get over it. Hillary is up next. Hillary, what have you got? What have you got going on?
Hillary was just making a list of all the Farrah Fawcett movies that she's going to be talking about in tribute. What I think is interesting about that is they included an executive. If you were playing, I was really watching it for some reason. They included a guy and underneath it it said executive. He's a movie executive that nobody knows, but they didn't include Farrah Fawcett. The guy worked in the mail room at... you know paramount and they're like yeah let's put her let's put him in there an executive yeah i think it was an oversight and now they're backpedaling yeah for sure they probably forgot yeah but it's possible that they were like in a boardroom and they went well she was in cannonball run and then somebody was like i don't know man i don't know we should do that i don't know if we should do that but an executive and not farah an academy member I have Them Crooked Vultures I'm going to play. I picked up the Edward Sharp record, so I'm going to play that. I brought in some Sex Pistols with me, so I'm going to play something from Nevermind the Bullocks. It'll be good. Sweet. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Enjoy the rest of your day. We'll come back here tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. We'll do it all over again. Mikey Show's out. A Lincoln Financial Media Station. Mikey in the Morning. About the music all day and night. I'm 94.9. It's about...
the music.
