All right, so welcome to The Mikey Show. We now have a new Annoying Friday song. It's not annoying. It's amazing. It's brilliant. It's absolutely gorgeous. I'm Mikey, and I'm the host of the show. 40 years of age, and it's hard for me to say where I'm from because I'm from Yuma, Arizona, and I'm also from Gilroy, California, the garlic capital of the world, and was born. on a military base in Guam, in the Mariana Islands, a place called Aganya. How about that? So you're from Guam? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So it's really not that hard to say where you're from. Well, no, I'm not from Guam. He was born in Guam. I was born in Guam. We were there for two months, and then Dad got transferred. And so, yeah, I think I might have been made in Japan, if we're being honest. Could be. Oh, fair enough. If we were trying to figure things out. Rewind the clock up. Yeah. All right. You ever do that, by the way? Somebody? No, it's disgusting. I don't think about my parents making love. Not me. Not me. I don't do it with myself. But sometimes people tell me, you know, like the other day, my aunt said that all three of her kids were, my cousins, were born in the month of February. And it instantly made me go, something was up. Their anniversary must have been, you know, in May or something. Yeah. Well, June. June. June. Wow, look at you. I figured it out.
She said it. That's creepy. I know, but it made me go, what were you up to? Yeah. What was so special? Feels real good in June, I guess. Apparently, you know, June. It is the wedding month. To me. It's summer loving. Oh, yeah. It's warm. Springtime. A little more skin showing. Yeah. I would think that that is not the time because it's so, like, who wants to be? You're seeing some skin. Everyone's a little bit, like, sun-kissed. Yeah. Oh, yeah. What do Jay's kids think when they hear dad go, oh yeah. I think they're used to it. I guess they are. That is probably a true story. That's why his daughter Maddie doesn't bring her friends over to the house anymore. How old is Maddie? Maddie is 22. 22? Yes. Maybe 23. Let's see. Woodsy is our sports guy. He is 35 years of age. He's got a beautiful wife named Jamie. Very beautiful. Lauren O'Brien is a comedian. I found Lauren on YouTube.
And I was thinking about it the other day. I was actually thanking God for the blessing of this show. And how weird some of it was. Like how it all came together. And how it just happened the way that it did. Very serendipitous. It is. It was and it is. Anyway, we call her L.O.B. She likes black guys. Oh, wow, Jay. Oh, wow. What was that? Oh, babe, ooh. Tom Tom Girl. Oh, babe, ooh. Oh, my gosh. That's going to get a lot of use. Oh, my gosh. That's the Tom Tom Girl reading lyrics of a song. Oh, babe. Ooh. That's my ringtone. That's true. It's probably true. Yeah, it is. I am flustered. Probably true, by the way. Sienna is our news girl. She's 25 years of age. And let's hear it for Sienna since Sundays. Her birthday!
Oh, wow. Next time you say that. Downside of your 20s. Yeah, like, you don't, like, I was not worried about 25, but now, like, after 25, it's just downhill. Oh, 100. It's just downhill. You're getting into your late 20s. Yep. Yeah. Oh, no. Hey, by the way, anybody that's listened to The Mikey Show for any length of time will know that I will say 25 for a while. Yep. It'll take me a while to clue in. Yeah, oh, I know. You'll correct me. Yeah, I know. And, you know. That's with everybody's birthday. Absolutely. It's hard for me to remember. Actually better than I would think you would do. You usually remember birthdays. Mike, make sure to send a text to our friend Bark Malman tomorrow as it's his 39th birthday. 39? Never married. Never been married. Never close, my friend. Bachelor for life. Yeah. 39. Talked to him last night and I go, what are you doing today? He goes, going on a date with my ex. And I go, oh, really? And he goes, I go, where is she? She's taking you. He goes, she's taking me to Nick and Sam's. What's that? Steakhouse. Delicious. High end. She's taking him. I'm like, how do you do it, pal? How do you do it? Ex-girlfriend. Maybe he settles down. Why do you need to when you're just loving life? You can't tame a Bronco, dude. Yeah, it's true. Oh, wow. Jay is our producer. He is 47 years of age.
And he is, when is your birthday, Jay? June. June what? 20th. June 20th. Too soon. And Jay will be 48 years old. Wow. Holy mackerel. My goodness. My mom's age. Is it? Oh, my gosh. Yeah, my mom's 48. Oh, boy. Yeah. I may be. I may be. He could be my dad. Oh, boy. The dog daddy's little girl. Our phone screener is Chris. It's crap. By the way, our studio audience is, and I want everyone to know this, our studio audience is always welcome to join in with that one. Yes. Let's do it again. Our phone screener is Chris. It's crap.
You're just making noise. Anything you want to do. Burp. An M1 is a Mikey Show listener. Everybody that's in here right now is an M1. You're fanatical about the Mikey Show. You go overboard about the Mikey Show. You buy a diesel truck and spray paint on the side of it. Mikey Show, M1. Buy four Yorkies. You buy four Yorkies. You move just because Woods is moving. Because I move every three weeks. That's right. You try to change your birthday to April 3rd so you can be more like Sienna. Yes. It's true. You just eat alfalfa by the bushels to be like L.O.B. Yeah. You just work out all the time so you can be like me. That's right. Or Jay. Or Jay. Or Jay. Or Jay. Everyone likes to freaky deek. Why does he do it? Freaky deek. You don't like to freaky deek? I can't turn his mic off. I can't turn his mic off. I can't turn his mic off. I like the freaky deek. We've explained him a few times. I like the freaky deek. And M1 likes to freaky deek. Well, I like to. We've never said that once. Never. Well, the word freaky deek hasn't been used since 74, 75. Is it a dance? No, it was probably like... It was slang for lovemaking. Yeah, it was slang for lovemaking. It was probably like, far out. Want a freaky deek? Oh, my. You know, it was like that.
So we play a game on the Mikey Show called Let's, all right? And today at eight o'clock, let's rap. We got something real special though for you. The guys aren't going to have anything to do with it. Sienna and Lauren are going to rap. Oh boy. We're going to try to rap. Well, and you're going to have help. Yeah. We have a real live. Yeah. Hello, boo. Hello, boo. A black rapper. A black rapper. Sign me up for that. Yeah. Coming into the studio to teach them how to rap. Yeah. I talked to him yesterday and so did Jay and he is fantastic. And they're going to be rapping to this. They're going to rap Lose Yourself by M.I.M. Should be interesting. I'll tell you what. I see this as dead. even. I know, so do I. Dead even. And I'll tell you why. Because both of them know and are familiar with the music. You know? In fact, occasionally they will lose themselves in the music. The moment. Yeah, you own it. You want to never let it go. Lauren has one advantage and it's that the black rappers coming in to teach us. However, I might get distracted. That's true. Advantage Sienna. Advantage me.
The word of the day is burrito. Weird. And when you hear me say the word burrito between now and 10 a.m., you call us here and caller number nine will win the $40 power card at Dave & Buster's and a four-pack of tickets to the Good Guys Car Show. So you're listening for me to weave that word in. It is April Fool's Day, so don't get fooled again. Fool me once. Fool me twice. You're fooling me. You can't get fooled again. Then you're a fool. Won't get fooled. That's the way it goes. Be on the lookout. Yeah. Today is also Sean from my old show. It's his birthday. Happy birthday, pal. Happy birthday. I miss him. Happy birthday, pal. I miss him. Aw, sweet guy. Yeah. That's what he would say if you were here. Great. Just talk about him some more. It'd be great if you were here instead of just talking about like... Just talk about it. Yeah. Well, Woods, why do you get upset? He had nothing to do with what you do. Didn't he? No. It's because people long for him. And no one knew who you were going to pick to be on this show. And Sean was off of your old show. And so people were like on Facebook, please tell me it, Sean. Tell me it, Sean. And meanwhile, Woods is reading these comments like, great, great, great. Drop that zero and get with the heat. Yesterday was...
opening day in baseball. Now, I'm going to hit you with a curveball. You didn't know I was going to ask you this, so if you don't know, it's totally okay. But do we know how many people were present at that baseball game in St. Louis for the Padres and the St. Louis Cardinals? You don't have to. I know it was sold out. Yeah, it was sold out. I wanted to tabulate the amount of people that were. We're actually at the game. No, I don't know the capacity for Bush Stadium in St. Louis. Jay just put his mouth up to the microphone and just smiled. You beat me to it. It's a preemptive strike on Jay now. But yesterday was opening day in Major League Baseball. And as usual, it did not disappoint. Every game was. Dynamite. Dynamite. And I watched three of them. Yankees. That was the first game televised. First game televised. They did win. 6-3. Mark DeShera hit a bomb. Mariano Rivera in his 800th season came out. Perfect ninth for the save. They played the Tigers. They're a good team. Tigers are a good team. And the guy that was throwing yesterday, Justin Verlander, consistently 98, 99 miles an hour. He is lights out. It was...
It was touch and go for a while, but Bombers put them away, and it was very exciting. Baseball's back. It's back in full force. And the Padres in their game, what happened? I didn't see a minute of it. Dude, it was pretty slow, and it was a lot of back and forth. So it's 3-2 St. Louis in the ninth. They've got their closer in. They need three outs to win. Want the music? Yeah, give me a little taste. I'll give you the right music for this. This is what we do when it's a great story. Here we go. Three to two. The ninth inning. Two outs. St. Louis closer Ryan Franklin on the mound. Into the box. Steps the brand new acquisition. Cameron Maben. Two outs. Bottom. Top of the ninth inning. Certain situations dictate, you know. Fly ball to center field. Rasmus giving ground. That ball's hit well. And he will touch them all. Maben. His first hit.
As a San Diego Padre, a 420-foot home run to center field. It's tied at three. Drilled it in the ninth. What a clutch, Homer. In the ninth. In the ninth inning. So all those Cardinals fans are like, we got it. Yeah, we got it. We got one out to go. It's Maven, and he hadn't gotten a hit all day. And he comes up and cranks the tying Homer. And then Heath Bell came in in the bottom of the 11th when it was 5-3 and got a, you know, three up, three down. First save of the year. Wow. Padres comeback. Scrappy win. Great defense as usual. Dude, this is what this team is about. Scrapping wins out. That just gave me such a great feeling. Let me tell you something else that will blow your mind. They handed Albert Pujols, I think it's safe to say, the worst game of his career. Really? He was 0 for 5. He grounded into three double plays. Padres pitching shut him down. Wow. It was a treat. There you go, Padre fans. I tweeted Cameron Maben last night and told him that he needs to follow me because we're big fans on our show. I'd love to have him on sometime. Did he immediately respond? Nope. Not yet. Direct message? Nothing. Just working for the show, man. Trying to get people on. You know what? His loss. You know what I mean?
Well, I think we'll get him at some point. But it was pretty incredible, man. It's his first game in a Padre uniform. How about that? Big clutch hit. Sienna, tell us about the lottery ticket that was bought in San Diego. Well, this happened in Chula Vista. A winning Super Lotto Plus ticket was sold. Now, there's no winner that's come forward. So if you're listening and you were at Seafood City. in Chula Vista, and you bought a lottery ticket, you may have won. The winning numbers were 18, 20, 22, 26, and 41. And this person got all six numbers in Wednesday's lottery. Oh, my gosh. Which was worth $19 million. Oh, my gosh. You walk into Seafood City. Wow. You walk out a millionaire. Multi-millionaire. Yeah, multi-millionaire. I know. It's probably like an impulse purchase. Like, I'll take half a pound of scallops. I know. Give me one of those. So the owner, whoever is the owner of this winning ticket, has 180 days to claim their prize. Also, Seafood City is getting a bonus of 5% or $95,000 for selling the winning ticket. They do? Yeah. Really? Yeah. 5% is $95,000. Not bad. I didn't know that. It's awesome. Oh, my gosh. What would you guys do? What would you do? With 19 mil? Oh, my gosh. Oh, boy.
Vacation. Buy a ton of Copenhagen, that's for sure. Oh, boy. Yeah, definitely pay off my car. Yeah. That's one thing. L.O.B. Now, I'm interested specifically in you, L.O.B., because you're so frugal. You're so frugal. What would be your big purchase? Probably a house. A house. And a beach house. A beach house. So you would go that far. You know what I would do? You guys are going to think I'm crazy. I would get a house on the Jersey Shore. You would? Not where they film that. the show. Not in Seaside Heights, but yeah, because I have a lot of family there and I would love to be able to like... Go back and forth. Go back and forth, yeah. And so I would definitely get a house there. And then she would furnish it with... She would furnish it with all furniture from Craigslist. Because she would want... True. To make sure she got the right deal. Oh, yeah. I would still be... Even if I had a lot of money, I'd still be very careful with it. That's the deal. I mean, they say that you are...
with the lottery what you are without the lottery. So if you're the type of person that saves when you win the lottery, you'll still be the type of person. If you're the type of person that is really irresponsible, you'll be broke. I'd be in here about three months later going, hey dude, can you spot my breakfast? I forgot my wallet. I used to be when I was a kid, like my brothers and sisters would always hit me up for money even though I was younger than them. I'd be like, okay, and pull money out of my piggy bank and be like, you owe me. And if you don't, you have to owe me an extra dollar if you don't get it by this time. My mom used to say to my sister, money burns a hole in your pocket. Yeah, yeah, it's true. So how about this one? They have found the cobra, the deadly Egyptian cobra that was missing. It went missing last Friday, and they found him yesterday around 9 a.m. He was coiled up in a dark corner, like they thought, suspected of the reptile house. And so they say that he looks like she actually looks like she's in good condition and everything's everything's good now. She has a deep voice, though. I know. Yes. Yes. But, you know, she did escape and it's a 20 inch long venomous, deadly Egyptian cobra.
It was at the Bronx Zoo, after all. The Bronx Zoo, yeah. It was there. It never got away. No, but the zoo is reopening the reptile house, and this is kind of funny. Since this news came out about the cobra disappearing, a Twitter account was created at Bronx Zoo Cobra, and it already has over 200,000 followers. Oh, my God. And the cobra tweets and stuff? Yeah. It's hysterical. We actually have the cobra on the line right now. Hi, Cobra. Hello, good morning. How are you? She does have a deep voice. Yeah, deep voice. I've been better. I'm in a freaking cage. Back in the cage. Just here for little kids to poke the glass. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Here, here, here. Right. It must sting for you because I would bet that when you call and order food, what have you, people oftentimes think you're a guy. That's true. That's very true. I have a very deep voice. Yeah, very deep voice. I'm not in a great mood, Mike. No, you're not. How old are you? I am 147 years old, much like Jay. Yeah, much like Jay. Much like Jay. He's a little bit older. A little bit older than you. So now you're back in captivity. Yes. Turns out you never left. You stayed there close to where you're from. I only went out at night to get a little action, if you know what I mean. I don't know what you mean. You know exactly what I mean. Well, there's no Egyptian cobras out there for you. I went to go to Times Square. Yeah.
Get a prostitute. Okay, weird, weird. And drive home and sleep in my hole in the Bronx Zoo. Right, okay. Well, now you're found, Egyptian, deadly Egyptian. No more prostitutes for me. Okay, deadly Egyptian cobra. Well, thank you for clarifying. Why would a female cobra? I know. I have both male and female parts. A lot like woods. A lot like woods. I heard you do. All right. Well, thank you, Bronx Zoo, Dudley, Bronx Zoo, Cobra. We lost the connection. I don't know what happened. Somehow lost the connection. So, you know, it's so weird. So, so strange. Then, how about this one? They opened up a brand new exhibit at Legoland. It's the Star Wars exhibit over at Legoland. Yes. kids going to be real happy about because we go there a lot. I know. You're going to go there this weekend? No. It's going to be too crazy, huh? No. But stormtroopers, X-Wing, fighter pilots, Jedi, bounty hunters, all of these people are now at Legoland. More than a million and a half Lego bricks were used to build the miniature versions of the places in the galaxy. A million and a half. Yeah. Wow.
There are six different scenes from the Star Wars movies and one from the animated TV show, Star Wars, The Clone Wars. So it is now open as of yesterday morning, so go check it out at Legoland. How about that, man? Wow. Crazy. I want to see it. Yeah. I told Jake that when he turns five years old, which will be September 9th of this year, he'll get to see Star Wars. And he has a Star Wars pillow, so he kind of knows about it. And he's really excited, which has got me really excited. Yeah, it's cool. Why wait? I don't know. I just thought he needed to be older to understand. I think he probably would understand now, but I just wanted him to be a little bit older. I don't want it to scare him. Either way, I think it might, but it's Star Wars. It's a rite of passage. It's a rite of passage. He'll like it. Because the lightsaber, you can get him one. It's a lightsaber. She said saver. I said saber. You did? I think so. A lot of women. We'll pop off with that saver bit. It's a lightsaber. Lifesaver. Lifesaver. 5701949 is our number. Now, let me tell you something. Carlsbad police officers say several people called 911, including people at the residence where this happened, after hearing some type of commotion just around 1 a.m. Now, you're looking at a live picture right now from NBC San Diego News Chopper. You can see there that detached garage in the backyard of this home. Police say the suspect or suspects fled the scene, and so far, no arrests have been made. But this is interesting. San Diego police... just put out an alert for all stations to be on the lookout for a silver pickup truck with palm trees in the bed, possibly with three occupants, wanted in connection with this homicide here in Carlsbad. Several witnesses have been taken to the police station for questioning. Officials wouldn't confirm whether the victim was a resident of this home or perhaps knew the people living here. Officers say the detectives are just getting their first opportunity to walk the crime scene right now, and that man's body has still not yet been removed.
from that outdoor detached garage. Now, we are in a residential neighborhood. If you can look back here live, you can see in the driveway of the home several detective conferencing here. We're in a residential neighborhood just a few blocks north from Carlsbad High School. Valley Street has been closed off from Brady Circle north to Chestnut. And so if you do live in this area, that's something you want to keep in mind. Here in Carlsbad, as you head out the door this morning, as this homicide investigation is still very much underway. I'm Monica Dean, reporting live NBC, San Diego. You know, would you be able to, you know, would you ever be interested in that type of work, homicide detective? No, I don't have the stomach for it. I would, you know, I wonder if you can do ride-alongs or if that's like... Maybe not for homicide. Probably too sensitive in nature. I think I would like to do the detective portion. Weird. The gruesome portion. Good God, it'd take her like two days to solve a crime. Of course. I watch the first 48 hours all the time. She watches the first 48 hours. She's like, really? She took you 48 hours? She figures it out. I do sometimes. I do. I'll watch it with that. She's like, why don't you ask this? Yeah, I do sometimes. It's a great show.
I know that cops will do ride-alongs and stuff, even for people that are DJs. I would love to do the homicide thing, but they probably won't let you because you would mess up the crime scene. You could. Would you like to go into a warehouse and see a dead body? No, I wouldn't want to do that. But I would want to be there when they're investigating. What about when they're questioning people? Like when they're going up to somebody's house, knocking on the door. Hey, it's the cops. Got a lead. I would like everything but the crime scene. I would do the questioning and I would give the eyebrow to them. They were, you know, they were showing a I was watching one the other day about a guy. It was a cold case from 1968 where a guy had been murdered on a He'd been murdered on a ship, a military Navy thing. And he was the dude that was in charge of the dough on board. And so he had the safe and all that. And when they went and investigated, you know, they couldn't find him. And his safe was open and all the money was gone. And so it was clear, you know, what had happened. But they questioned everybody on board. And years and years later.
They were able to use DNA technology to narrow it down to this one dude. But the problem was, is that this far out of the crime, it was going to be really hard to get this guy without a confession. So they brought him in and they got him to confess, but they got him to confess on a technicality. And what they said was, they said, listen, we just are trying to let this family like have resolution. We just want the family to have resolution to what happened. You know, we know that you did it and, you know, you don't have to worry about you don't have to worry about anything in terms of like how long ago it was. And the guy goes, well, doesn't the statute of limitations not cover murder? And they said, not as long as not as long as there was no premeditation. They said, if there was not premeditation, then it doesn't. And so he came clean. Well, here's the deal. If he walked into that room and the guy had the safe open and he saw an opportunity to steal the money by killing the guy, premeditation. And so he did premeditate it. But they were able to get him that way. Is that a lie though? It wasn't a lie. They proved that it wasn't a lie. What happened was he appealed it.
They tried to appeal it and say, you know, it was coercion. It was blah, blah, blah. And when they first did the appeal, they won and the guy was free, but not for very long. Wow. Not for very long. Prosecutor went back at him and said, you know, and they got him. And it really sucked for the family because when this happened, they thought that the guy had gone AWOL. And so he was dishonorably discharged. And so his family had two black eyes. Right. A, they lost their son and their brother. And then B, he had the indignity of being called dishonorably discharged. And so when they buried him, they didn't get an American flag, anything. And so the sister, man, she made it her mission. The sister kept on it and kept on it and kept on it until finally she found somebody that was willing to like dig the case up. They prosecuted this guy and they show the footage of her receiving. The American flag. Pretty solid. Yeah. It was really cool. Grey's Anatomy. Very popular show. My favorite. Yes. Millions of people watch it. And one guy. Yes. Yes. Because it is a girl show. I mean, mostly women watch this show. And I guess taking a cue from Glee, that's what I think. I believe that they are looking at the show Glee.
which is wildly successful as well. Yeah. And they went, listen, we're going to do a little bit of that ourselves. Yeah, and they have some actors that can actually sing and have a background in singing. So they did something called Grey's Anatomy, the music event, and they had the rocks to do this. You can do this one step at a time. One step at a time. Step one. You say we need to talk. He walks. You say sit down. It's just. And they're showing him operating. He smiles politely back to you. They incorporated this into the episode. I'm not a fan of her. I can hear like the way to your right. As he goes left and you stay right. Between the lines of fear and blame.
Are you kidding me? Yeah, Woods is taking his headphones off. They're operating on the operating table. Balls it takes to... I saw the preview for this last week and I was like, oh no. And I know it's just they're doing it one time. Stick to operating. Are you kidding? Are you kidding? That's McSteamy. It is? Yeah. Wow, Lauren, you're just... Give me a tie. Brain is decompressing. Balloon is advanced. I'd rather watch a turd drive. Yeah. I'm watching it today. I have it on DVR. My wife will probably watch it four times. Yeah, mine too. If it gets... Let me ask a question. If that gets great ratings, are they going to keep doing it? No. No way. They know better. The Simpsons used to do it. Maybe that's why they're doing it. The Simpsons did a thing on Glee? No, they would always do musical episodes. That's a comedy. Yeah, you're right. A drama? You're right, you're right, you're right. A drama? If any of your favorite shows ever say, hey, we're going to do a musical night, that's what I'm like.
Oh, yeah. Must miss. There's one of them, though, that's supposed to be, like, have a great voice. And I think they just wanted to, like, highlight that. Really? Sarah Ramirez? Maybe have her sing at the crafts table at lunch. And the thing is, is this is, like, supposed to be one of the most intense episodes. I saw the preview, and one of the main girls who's pregnant gets in a car accident. And as they get in a car accident, her, she's also a lesbian, her girlfriend. Is that the black girl? Yeah. I saw that. I saw that. Mexican. But she proposes, her girlfriend proposes to her. They get in a car accident. She's pregnant. Like, you can't get more dramatic. And I'm like, oh my gosh, is she going to die? And now they're singing about it. I've been kind of lesbian. I told you, Rebecca loves the show. And the very first time that I saw it was with Faye Dunaway. It was 104. Do you know who Faye Dunaway is? Yeah, she's Mommy Dearest. She's 104. Sweet girl. Would she behave when you babysat her? She loved to spank him. That was not good. It's my fault. You can't top that. I'm done away with you. Okay, here's another one.
I'm going to just, I'm going to rub this episode. Just rub it in. Callie singing or Sarah Ramirez. Callie. Yeah, this is the one that's supposed to be really good. Callie, Owen, and Bailey sing Chasing Cars. Oh, no. Which they've already used in an episode. It's like the. It's their bit. Yeah. Oh, I'm already annoyed. Instantly. She's one of the good ones. I kind of picture Woods at home in bed with a snuff in going. Crying. Is that right? Wiping away a tear. Never watch the show. I'm watching the show. Would never watch it. We'll cry at home makeover, though. Real good. Who doesn't? It will get you. Yeah, it's emotional terrorism. Oh, my gosh. I asked her to marry me and a truck came out of nowhere. If I lay here. Wow, Sienna, it's getting Sienna. It is. It's getting her. I love this show. Would you lie with me and.
She's a good singer. Yeah, if she dies on the show. I'm going to be really sad. I like her. Hi, Bryce. Hello. How are you? I'm fabulous, as usual. Guess what? What? I was using the computer today and noticed that your email was open and I wasn't snooping. Weren't you? No, I wasn't. Weren't you? I was looking for an email because I had gotten us the Jamaican vacation. Ooh, fabulous. When do we leave? We don't. Why not? Because I got the email that you got from Bark Maumann. Oops. Uh-oh. Who is Bark Maumann? He is a dear friend and nothing more. A dear friend is...
Yes, he is. He's a dear friend. Yeah, he's also extraordinarily handsome. Very handsome, yes. Good body, good figure. Drives a BMW. Correct. How dare you lie. How dare you? How dare you lie. Why are you sniffing around? You're always sniffing around something. Just mind your own business. What does it have to do with Grey's Anatomy? It's the Grey's Anatomy music you're playing. It's emotional terrorism. This is emotional terrorism. This is gay man's emotional terrorism. You know, I love my show and I was hoping you guys would, you know, be on the next episode. You know what? You're just sitting here trying to do your sides with Bryce Taurus. Did you like Bryce Taurus? Can't beat Bryce Taurus. Can't beat that guy. Bryce Taurus. Old Spice. It's very over the top. It's a safety hazard. I know. I love it. I've said it before. It is going downhill a little bit, but I'm excited. This episode was supposed to be really dramatic. Yeah, it sounds like it. Sounds great. With them singing the songs. Yeah, I wish they didn't do that. Sounds real good. Rich and slide. Thank you. I'll let you know how it is. Lauren watched a documentary last night on bottled water. Weird. Weird. True story. Wow.
Good times. What was it called? Tapped. Yeah. Of course it was. Catchy. I put it in my blog. I'm not buying bottled water ever again. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Because it's just water, right? It's just out of the tap. Well, a lot of... That's... Oh, gosh. That's only part of the story. There's so much. The packaging that they use for it, you know, the plastic, the... PET and the PET one. What are you talking about? The type of plastic that they use to make the bottles that the bottle water goes in uses all kinds of oils and fuels and the process to make it emits all the stuff that is making people that live near the packaging plant in Corpus Christi, Texas, making them sick. It causes so much waste. Hey, baby! We're getting sick from the plant, man. We're going to move. I don't want to play this game, baby. I really am sick. You're acting like you're sick because you don't want to go to work. It's that plant. It's making me sick. And I ain't buying that bottled water. Y'all know what's making you sick, baby. You're probably pregnant again. You're probably pregnant again. Look at that belly. I love that belly. Rub it. Rub it.
Yeah, there you go. I love it. You love it. I love it. But yeah, and it's like companies, Nestle is the one that they put in the company, I mean in the documentary, but that branches off into all the different ones and Coca-Cola and Pepsi, those are the big players. They take water, which is only 1% of the water that is on the earth is actual drinkable water. Wow. Really? And they take it out of the sources of the communities, and then they take it for free and sell it as profit. Did they mention one water company that sells, like, the good stuff? They said that, well, no. I mean, it was really slanted. It was slanted against the bottled water. So how do you prepare for a natural disaster? That's great. Oh, you got her there. What do you do? I have, like, at home, I have a big... You grow your own water. I have those big gallon things, and you can go fill them up at places, which takes tap water and filters it. But is it still in plastic? Yeah. At home, I have... It's kind of like the things that go upside down, the jugs, but it actually stands right side up with a little spigot. Lauren, was this the same one that says by 2031 or 32 that...
Coca-Cola or somebody will own all the rights to water. You know, I didn't get all the way through it, but it could be, Jay. Yeah, they talk about how expensive water's going to be because they're going to own all the rights to it. Right now, you're paying 1,900 times the price if you get a bottle of water over if you just got water out of your tap. But it tastes better. That's what you say. It does. I can't tell the difference. Can't you? I run it through a little filter at my house. Homemade. It's fun. Homemade. Yeah, what I do is every time I grill something, I just take the charcoal. Yep. Now you're talking. I crush up the charcoal and I stick it in a sock. Yep. And then I put that over the... I put that over the... The spigot. The spigot. And I tie it with a rope. Oh, my. And then if Jasper wants something to drink, I just turn it on. It filters through the sock and through the charcoal. She's water. Into homemade glass. No. Into his hands. Into his hands. Glass. What am I, Donald Trump? You're finally getting it, buddy. I ain't paying for no glass. I ain't paying for no glass. Y'all know that. I don't even get it from the faucet. I get rainwater. That's right. I have a little bucket in the yard. My yard's covered with socks and charcoal. I got plenty of palm fronds to catch a bunch of rain. Dug bone well. I drain all my neighbor's pools, and I just filter out the chlorine at the end of the summer. Jay's siphoning his neighbor's pools into his yard. Oh, my gosh. Jasper is sick. Jasper's a... Oh, no.
Potentially. Jay's eight-year-old. Yeah. Potentially. Kim has been sick all week. So now Jasper, it's coming to the weekend, and I'm thinking, okay, everything's kind of turning around for us. And, of course, he starts to get the signs of Kim had the flu. So, and he had, like, a swim party and a sleepover. Did she have the throw-up flu? Oh, yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. That's the worst one. Because there is a flu where you don't actually throw up. But the ones when you throw up, it's the worst one. Woodsy says, you were telling us that even when you throw up now, even as an adult, you still do the thing that you did when you were a kid where you cry. I cry. Every time. Yeah. You just want it to stop and it won't stop. And you're just like. I do. Tears just flowing. Well, I know this. I know that when we were kids, the reason that it made us throw up was because. we didn't understand it. We were like, what is this? Your stomach is betraying you. It's so scary. It's a weird feeling when something won't stay down in your stomach, you know? And you don't understand. Why are you doing this? I hate it. It won't stop. Do you guys remember the ones where you were like, I don't think I can breathe. So you'd be like...
Oh, wow. Wow. Oh, wow. That was awesome. It would go forever, though. And you were like, I don't think I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm 100% sure. Yeah, those are the worst. Nothing worse. I just always remember going, I ate that? Oh, gross. God bless. Weird. Is that what you remember? I do. Walking down the hall in elementary school and I was throwing up like every 15 feet and I was like, what is that? Where they had to put the sawdust. Oh, sawdust. The janitor was just following me. It was a big deal where you're like, did you hear Billy threw up? I know. This is Jones. That was like a big, it was a huge deal. You're like, yeah, it was me. I'm sorry. No one felt bad for the sick kid. They just made fun of him. I remember on test day, we were all sitting down to take a test and Peyton Skipworth. The teacher, I'm going to throw up. He didn't skip what. You said, no, you're not. Just take your test. He threw up on the kid in front of me. And then everybody started throwing up. It was the best. Do you think that the teacher said, skip what? Was that your vomit?
Skip what? He already had a nickname because he pooped his pants. Woods. Just called them Woods. More proof that the world is mentally disturbed when we come back. Wait till I tell you what they're making gummy bears into. And apparently a very famous person's very famous daughter, little kid, just picked some up and was eating them. And I want to know, as a parent, What would you think of this? I've been roaming around, always looking down. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. You've got to go. Call 570-1949. They fell hundreds of feet over Paris Valley Airport in Riverside County. The men's parachutes collided and deflated about 300 to 400 feet in the air. Just awful. Woodsy, what's going on at sports? Well, the San Diego Padres took the season opener from the Cardinals yesterday, 5-3. Cameron Maben hit a game-tying two-out home run in the ninth inning. Here he is after the game cut two. Certain situations dictate how you want to be in the box. You know, down one late in the game. You know, if you get something good to hit, you got to be ready to hit, especially against a guy like that. You can't really fall behind, you know, a good guy like that. And also Commissioner of Major League Baseball Bud Selig says that in the next collective bargaining agreement with Major League Baseball, he wants to ban smokeless tobacco in the Major League. That should go over good. That should go over real well with the players. And I would tell Bud Selig to get it.
Good thing they don't impose that in your semi-pro league. Oh, thank God they don't. That would really affect your semi-pro league. That's true. There's nothing like a little pinch-in. P-E-N-I-S. Oh, wow. Come on. Grow up. You can say penis. Just got to spell it. I would do the same thing you should. You would? Yes, girl. Ellen's generous. It's not a dirty word. There's kids watching. There is? Watching Ellen? Yes. Didn't it mean school? No, little kids. I mean, it's not wrong to say the word penis. She didn't say like C word or something. Oh, my God. She should have said wee-wee. That would have been more appropriate. What about wiener? I would have done the same thing. Why can't you say? Yeah, you can say what it is. And I was like, oh, oh, okay. I said, oh, wow, those aren't Swedish fish. Even I know that. Get it? You get it. Well. Listen, you can have whatever kind of gummy bears you want, but shouldn't you sell those at a place where it's grownups? Yes. It's weird that they sell it there. It's weird. Yeah. I remember seeing pictures of her eating them because, of course, paparazzi see this. She's, you know, in Katie Holmes' arms on the sidewalk and she's eating these gummies. And it was all over, you know, Katie Holmes gives penis candy to her kids. It's like, oh my gosh. Yeah. Scientology.
Oh, wow. Really strange right there. Real strange right there. Wow. Jay says really strange things. Wiener time. Why is it that guys are the ones that have to do the following things? These are from askmen.com and they're things that it's always guys that have to do this. Now, these are the things that we hate the most, by the way, fellas. Getting stuff out of the attic. Awful. The worst. The worst. We're not going up there. Oh, my gosh. We're delicate. We don't put stuff in our attic. We had a garage that had extra space. And so we blocked off that extra space so we could store things in there. But if we didn't do that, I would have a shed before I would have an attic. A hundred percent. My parents have an attic and a crawl space. Crawl space is creepy. Crawl space is like the attic of the basement, but there's only room to crawl in there. And are you supposed to store like...
things there? Is that what the crawl space is for? I don't know if you're supposed to, but my parents do. What's the use of it? What's the point of it? What's it supposed to be? I believe that it's there in case there's any maintenance that needs to be done and the worker needs to get in there, but they definitely used it for... As a kid, I was like, cool, but now I'm like, yeah. So scary. Just cobras in there real good. Just a bunch of rat poop. Yeah, rats and cobras. You know what else we are in charge of? We're in charge of checking strange noises out at night. Yep. I like it, though. I'm fine with that. I'm fine with that one, too. I'm fine with that one because it involves an element of, you know, sort of... You guys feel tough when we're like, babe, I heard something. I heard something. You're like, oh, okay. Yeah. If something weird goes on, Rebecca, she'd have to admit to you, it's got to be kind of sexy that I've got a pistol in my hand. Yep. And I'm in my underwear. Footie pajamas. My footies. You're in a nightgown. In a nightgown with a gun. I haven't worn my flannel nightgown since we talked about it. Yeah, you still have it. How dare you. If you get a pocket, you can just store your pistol. You should get a built-in holster. Just in case. Just had the girdle. The other one that we hate is taking out the trash. Yeah. Which is ours. It's ours. It's mine too. It's like my only chore. Why have big kids? Uh-huh. That is true, Jay.
Washing the car, changing the oil, and anything that has to do with the car. Yeah. Now, I don't change the oil, but I take it to get changed. And it's my responsibility. I just ask Rebecca one thing. Can you tell me when it gets to this many miles? That way I know. Can you tell me? And then I get in the car. It's been 17,000 miles since the last oil change. I go, babe. How come you didn't tell me? I'm busy. I forgot. At least of her worries. It's true, but my dad always said, change oil every 3,000. You ran into the ground. All you got to do is change the oil. Yard work. We're in charge of yard work. Don't like it. Todd does all of these, everything you said. We're talking about normal guys. Reading instructions for new gadgets. I will not go through one. pamphlet of instructions. I won't do it. Hate it. That's me, and I have to follow it. It has to be done the way that it says it on here. Let's not go all wheelie. Matt will just open up the packaging and start to just figure out where stuff goes. I'm like, no, no, no, no. That's a bad move. Bad move. Yeah, because then you get legs on a table, turn the wrong direction. You always end up with one extra screw lying, and you're like,
Oh, well, I guess I don't need that. I mean, I don't know. And it's the most important piece. Yeah, and then there's shrapnel in your butt cheek because of that one extra screw. How about killing spiders and bugs found in the house? Always us. Nope. I do it. You do it? Yeah, if he's there, he'll do it, but I do it. It's not a big deal. You don't mind? No. I don't do any of these. Grab a tissue. If there's a spider in the house, Jamie gets it. If you see it, will you call him? Yep. True story? True story. Oh, my gosh. Walk me through it. I don't, like... I have killed cockroaches and stuff before, but if you see... Okay, you walk in the bathroom and there's a spider in the tub. Deer! Really? Oh, yeah. Oh, gosh. Ew, it's on me. Does she laugh? She laughs. She knows she married a young lady. When she comes in, does she... She'll grab toilet paper and... Throw it away. You don't carry it outside? Yeah, you gotta put it on a piece of paper and let it free. No, I'm flushing down the toilet. You set it free. If it's a daddy long leg. Set it free. I'll set free a daddy long leg. Put it on a piece of paper and let it... Thou shalt not kill. That's a dead spider, bro. It's not dead. Yes. Why is it good? That SOB's dead. I'll shoot it. If you see... Please don't. I dynamite it.
Yeah. You got to set those guys free. Why? So then it comes back? Yeah. It's going to bite you. He's just trying to kill the insects around your house. It's going to bite you. I let the spiders, like, as long as it doesn't get too far down in the shower. Like, I had a spider that was my friend for like a week in my shower. Yeah. Are you kidding me? Oh, my God. Yeah. As long as he didn't come too far down, I wasn't going to freak out. And then one time I did have to drown him. He got too close. Well, L.O.B., imagine if you came in and he was gone. That would freak me out. Where are you? He's in your pillow. Kill him. He's crawling in your mouth when you sleep. They're helpful when they're outside. When they're inside, they're trespassing. Put him on a little piece of cardboard and shuttle him outside. I don't want to shuttle him anywhere. I've tried that and then one time it... slid down the cardboard piece of paper and went on my finger. And I was like, never again. My favorite part is when you grab them by the string and they're just like a yo-yo. It's not a string, though. It's a web. It's a web, you know. But it's like a string. I'll just grab them by the strings. I'll pinch a daddy long leg, like the leg, and I'll just plop it up. Oh, that's creepy, Sienna. God bless. They're nice. We're in charge of unclogging the toilet.
By the way, the reason we're unclogging the toilet is because women use a full roll of toilet paper when they go to the restroom. Fair enough. We know and we won't change. They're not going to change. They go number one and they wrap their hand like a mummy. You don't want any sort of seeping through to happen. I know, but it just makes every guy think to himself like... Isn't there any part of your brain that thinks that that might go wrong in our plumbing? It's not going to go well. And they don't care. It's worth the sacrifice. We're aware of it. We don't care. A woman thinks to herself, it'll be fine. I've done it before. It'll go down there. It'll be fine. It's meant to go down there. It can handle it. Even though it can't. Men are in charge of fixing broken toys, unless they're me. Or me. Jay can fix broken toys. I build them so I can fix them. Yeah. I mean, I didn't buy one of the toys. Not one of them. I made them all. I have a bunch of elves that work in my house. Yeah. But I don't pay them. No. I don't pay them. They get CDs. I gave them Mumford & Sons. FM 94.9 t-shirt. Yeah. Lincoln Lawyer Passes. Lincoln Lawyer Passes. Angel or Anarchy Sunglasses. They're all hooked up with Anarchy Sunglasses.
If you ever see an elf driving around town with angel or anarchy sunglasses, you know that that's where they came from. They work for Jay. It's dudes that are in charge of assembling furniture, unless they're me. Or me. It's dudes that are in charge of removing sticky lids from jars. That is me. I do that. Sticky lids? You know, jars that are hard to open. Although I did buy a great device, Sir La Table. Weird. I've never even been to this place. How have you, it's a cook's paradise, but what it is, what it is, it's a device, and you jam it onto the jar, and you just very lightly, and it pops it right off. You can just take a spoon and tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, around the edges. It works. It's better to have a device. It's a bit. You need a device. Or a butter knife. Doesn't work. I'll try it. Banging on the counter. Yeah. Yeah, I like bing. I didn't say it. Yeah, you did. You might as well have. You might as well have. It is our job to clean windows and sweep the driveway. Since when? Maybe on the East Coast or something. I clean the windows. This one is universal. We do this. It is the guy's job to carve the turkey.
It is the guy's job to carve the turkey. Specifically the dad's job. What? Are you kidding? You don't carve the turkey? Nope. Why? Who carves it? I bought a turkey last year. Already carved. But haven't you carved it? I've never. Who does it? My dad. Your dad. It's time, isn't it? It's cute. Does it? I think so, yeah. You need to pass the torch. You're married. Yeah, I don't have any kids. I know, but when you get married, I think it's the rite of passage that you become the turkey carver. You don't know how, do you? No. My chunks would be like this. Yeah. Would you say something if you went to someone's house and like the wife cut it? Would you be like, wait a minute? Yes. You're like, oh, your husband's a homosexual. Yeah, undoubtedly. You wouldn't just. If I went to your house. Yeah.
And, well, I don't know Todd well enough. Yeah. If I went to LOB's house, I don't know BFMC well enough. How about my house? I would bust his balls. How about my house? If Jamie's in there. Of course. Of course. Of course. If Kim was carving the turkey, I would say something. No way. What would you say? I would say, Kim, excuse me. Can I get everybody's attention? I'd get everybody's attention. Can I get everybody's attention? Yeah. No doubt about it. And I would go, uh. I'm just trying to get everybody's attention, if everybody can just pay attention, please. Why is Kim carving this turkey? And I would make the biggest deal out of it in the world. Plural, because we have two turkeys. That's right, they do. Of course. I love two turkeys. They do. Todd does carve the turkeys. I don't get that at all. You're supposed to. If you're a guy, you're supposed to. Yeah. You should never be having a woman have to do it. Excuse me, can I get a radio studio? 570-1949 is our number if you want to give us a call. Let's see. Oh, so I told you, I've been real transparent about this, about the fact that I don't know really what's going on with the Libya situation, although I do know that it's a very big deal. Now, what a lot of people are saying is that, and this is a Democrat talking.
This is a representative, Dennis Kucinich, and he is in Obama's party. He says that what Obama did was wrong, attacking Libya. Take a listen. The administration deliberately avoided coming to Congress and furthermore rejects the principle that Congress has any role in this matter. This. is a clear and arrogant violation of our Constitution, even a war launched ostensibly for humanitarian reasons is still a war. And only Congress can declare war. Do you think Bush would have taken any heat? Oh, my gosh. I think Obama should take heat, and I'm an Obama supporter. Yeah. I mean, that's saying a lot. Yeah.
This is Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Republican, talking about it. This is probably the worst handled national security military action I've ever seen. From announcing, when he didn't know what to do, that Gaddafi must go. Then making that speech the other night, which was internally contradictory. You cannot say we're there to protect the Libyan people. But we're not going to be for regime change with Gaddafi. Because the reason we're there to protect the Libyan people is because of Gaddafi. I heard that, too. Before he did this, he should have thought this out. And you're absolutely right. The choice might have been, this is too murky, too difficult. That's why, listen, in so many ways, it's on-the-job training. Yeah, it's a lot of armchair quarterbacks out there, that's for sure. Well, you're hearing it from both sides. That's the thing that's so trippy to me. That happens with everything. I mean, there's always going to be... This is a big everything. Well, absolutely. But, you know, partisan, nonpartisan, doesn't matter. I mean...
You can't please everybody all the time. But starting a war is a big thing. This is Lindsey Graham asking the defense secretary a question. Would it be unlawful for some nation, including ours, to drop a bomb on him to end this thing? Is that on the table or not? I don't think so because I think it would probably break the coalition. Well. We sent rockets. Yep. We sent a lot of rockets. Shouldn't we be sending, if it's for humanitarian purposes, shouldn't we be sending like food and other stuff like that? Well, maybe we're strapping food to the rockets that we're launching into Libya. You never know. I doubt that. The turkey rockets. Probably not. Probably not. Probably not.
Chris Rock was actually talking about it with David Letterman, and it was pretty funny. I look at Charlie Sheen. You know, if Charlie Sheen was Muslim, the United States would bomb his house. You know that, right? He's a madman. I don't understand. What is our country's foreign policy? We drop bombs to help people. Does this really make sense to you? It's like I'm in a restaurant. A guy's having a heart attack. Oh, my God, he's having a heart attack. I should go kick him in the... He makes a bit of a point. Yeah. We're going to help you out, and the way that we're going to help you out is to send some rockets. Now, what do I know? I don't know anything about this stuff. Oh, you're going to. By the end of the day today, pal, I can guarantee you. You will. I can guarantee you. It's heating up. So, yeah, that's him talking about that. Chris Rock also had some pretty funny stuff to say about his daughter meeting Justin Bieber. A couple of weeks ago, I took my daughters to a Nick game. Took them to a Nick game. And my kid Lola met Justin Bieber. Got Bieber fever. Yes, see, right there. Justin Bieber. And Justin Bieber gave Lola the shades he was wearing that day. Oh, that's right. Purple shades. They gave them to her. And she's, you know, she's going to be nine. And by the time we got home, she was pregnant, Dave.
That's pretty good. So, okay, here's the thing. I'm going to paint a picture for you. First of all, we're going to do the dead arm duel when we get back. Oh, no. I don't remember. Do we do contestants for the dead arm duel, or we just do it just for fun, right? We do pick winners. Yeah. The three of you have to put your names in a basket. We're going to draw two names. Yeah. So the three guys put their names in a basket, and then on the phone we get... Who do you want? Who do you think will win this? Okay. So we'll do that once we pick who's going to be getting punched. But let me paint this picture for you. Middle-aged weatherman, okay? Works for AccuWeather.com. I want you to picture this in your mind. Tightly trimmed salt and pepper hair. Go on. Glasses. Oh, my gosh. This guy delivers the weather in a WWE style. Oh, wow. Okay?
Total WWE theatrics. You have to hear it to believe it. When we come back, dude goes off on the missing Cobra in New York and taunts the Cobra by saying, snaky, snaky, snaky, snaky. I'm not kidding. Cohen, FM 94.9. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. This is Bird from Bird Surf Shed with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report, sponsored by the Academy Awards. Today we are looking at some surf out there, running in the about, I don't know, 6 to 12 foot range, solid offshore, swell, looking a lot like Hawaii and pipeline combined together. Water is about 85 degrees and the weather is sunny, straight offshore winds, and there's nobody out. April Fool's. Small surf today. Looking kind of fun, though. West-northwest, southwest combination. Keeping us in that waist-to-chest-high zone. The occasional shoulder-high set wave. And it is looking fun. Sun is out. Smaller but softer conditions overall. A bit walled up with the beach breaks looking best right now. And the reef breaks improving as the tide heads out. So, get past that April Fool's Day prank and go surfing. For up-to-the-minute surf reports forecast, go to surfline.com. For all your surfboard repair needs, you go see Joe Roper. And it is Joe Roper Taco Friday. And this surf report can only be heard three times daily, right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. For those of you that have never seen me, I'm a short, chunky guy. Lauren. I was the creep. Yeah. I was kissing boys when they were sleeping. How old? I was four. Woods. I like being out in the country, too, man. Throw a dip of snuff in, have a couple beers, kind of feel like a man, right? Sienna. I want to fly to New York.
Just to go to the Pop-Tart store. And Jake. I can cry now at the drop of a hat. Something just sad happened. On FM 94.9. Hello, darling. It's been a long time. Let's make some noise in here. You think our listeners would like it if we just let this play and didn't say anything? Like the whole thing? Maybe. Because I'd be all the way in. Oh, I love it so much. You're doing fine. Just to know. And so. Think that guy has a favorite pair of broken-in boots? Think he knows how to pack a pack of cigarettes? Think his doctor's ever warned him about smoking? Think he has a variety of belt buckles? Think he knows how to sharpen a knife? Think he's got a dead deer tied to the head right now? Think he's ever ordered a double? Think he knows what venison tastes like? You think he has a favorite taxidermist?
I'm so sorry. I've never seen this guy perform live. It's one of the things that I would love to do before I die. Bucket list. Hey, you don't have long, pal. I know it. I know it. He's maybe like a week. Yeah, seriously. I thought you meant something was wrong with Mikey. No, no, no. George Jones, you know, he's just not doing as much as he used to be doing. Okay, so I want you to know. At 8 o'clock, we're going to be playing Let's. And by we, I mean CNN and L.O.B. And a real rapper just showed up right now. I told you, don't say rapper. Say MC. God, you look so white, dude. You're embarrassing us. L.O.B. MC. That's right. MC. Do you prefer MC? Is that right? MC. I'm a mic controller. A mic controller. There you go. There you go. I walked outside because Woods gave me a lesson. I walked out and I was like, hi, are you our MC? So what? Are you our MC for today? Yeah. He goes, no, I just got hired in sales. Why didn't you tell me that yesterday when I'm trying to find a rapper? Does anyone know a rapper?
I think I did. That's funny. He did. I think I did. So, okay, so here's the thing. We'll be doing that at 8 o'clock. Want to say thank you to M1 Nikki. She made the most beautiful birthday cake for Sienna. I just posted it on my Facebook page. It's the most amazing cake ever. There's chocolate covered strawberries inside the cake. Oh, my gosh. The lid of the box. is made out of Rice Krispie patties. Does she know us or what? I walked in and that was the first thing I said. I go, ooh. I know. I also want to say a special thank you to M1. Danny HB, who's here right now, brought the presents. Barbara, M1 Lush, Michael, Romaine, Jesse, Veronica, Renato, and Dante. They hooked it up with a huge bag of presents. Bunch of cool stuff. Bunch of cool stuff. Oh my gosh, you made my day. Thank you guys. Really cool. And by the way, if you go online, you see that cake, you like that cake. M1 Nikki has a website and it's elegantdessertdesigns.com. And remember, there's two S's in dessert. That's my trick. Yeah. I learned that when I was a kid. Desert and dessert.
You want two servings of dessert. Go back for seconds. Go back for seconds, and so there's two S's. That's how I always remembered that. Weird. I remembered it that way, too, Mike. That's deep. Mike, you didn't have to think of any way to remember it. Are you sure it doesn't have six S's, Mike? For you, it has eight S's. Dessert. Dessert. Dessert. You know it's true, Mikey. Thank you to El Pollo Grill. They came in and they are a family run place. They've been in business for over 23 years in Lemon Grove. They specialize in healthy flame broiled chicken. They also specialize in delicious goodness. Let me tell you something. Last time they came in here, I took some of those home. And I may have munched on them the entire drive home. Easy, Jay. There's an M1 offer, by the way, for El Pollo Grill. And here it is. You mentioned the Mikey Show. You get 50% off any combo meal. Wow. And that is nice. They brought me some Chile Verde, which I was just explaining to. He's saying it the right way. Easy Verde. They brought me some Chile Verde. Oh, wow. Beautiful. Chile Verde.
What is that? It's like a green hot sauce that they braise pork in. Oh, it's so good. And it's mom's special of the day on Thursdays. But they brought it special for me today. They know I love it. They also serve arvondigas. Ah. Now, let me tell you how that's spelled, Woodsy. Because you would have never been able to say that. A-L-B-O-N-D-I. G-A-S. Albondigas. Albondigas. It's my favorite soup. It's like meatballs in it. Albondigas. Albondigas. Yeah. They also specialize in tamales. I know tamales. And chile relleno. Chile relleno. All in. That's how I say it. Real good stuff. Relleno is what I say. Chile relleno. Yeah, chile relleno is good. You ain't never had them? Okay, so we're going to do the Dead Arm Duel in just a second. Hang on. Hang on before we do Dead Arm Duel. We are going to play you this audio of this weather guy flipping out. So apparently it's his bit. His name is Jim Kosek. And he works for AccuWeather.com. And he's becoming extraordinarily famous.
This is a new flip out. Here we go. Snakey, snakey. Snakey, snakey. Snakey. I got something for you. I'm going to pound you with two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen as we stroll on in through the nighttime hours. And then I'm going to drop the snow hammer upon you. Scaly little tailpipe of yours. So then what are you going to do? Well, let me tell you what you're going to do. You're going to find the ground-up pig schnouts, horses' tails, at Yankee Stadium tomorrow at 105 for first pitch with the Tigers. They're called stadium dogs. He's standing in front of a blue screen. By the way, in a suit. A tie, middle-aged guy. Oh, boy. Glasses.
Oh, they're all so delicioso. I saw it. Get the ketchup, fellas, and mustard while you're at it, too. Then I will pound you again with more of the snow. No, this is bad. This is his deal. Oh, wow. For some reason, they haven't caught your scaly tail yet. You think that the cobra is watching this going, oh, man, I'm dead. He's serious. I think he's freaking serious. I get you soaking wet again. Earlier next week. So what do you say to that? Snakey, snakey. Oh my gosh. Snakey, snakey. I'm coming out of my skin. He's a cobra? Eh.
I can promise you Jay will play back that snakey snakey at some point. There's no doubt about it. I can promise you that. His kids are like, well, we have to go to school in Massachusetts because we're mortified. Yeah, because when we go to school, because of our father, we're going to hear snakey snakey. Actually, they stopped doing the snakey snakey. They just beat the crap out of the snake. I would never know what the weather was like if I lived there because I couldn't watch that guy. No, there's no chance. Ready for the dead arm duel. What we're going to do is we have three names. We're going to pick two of them out of a basket. L.O.B. is going to reach in and pull out two names. Those are the people that will have to punch each other in the arm. Oh, God. Okay. Wow, you really balled these up. You better make sure that all the names are in there. They are. Woods? Yeah. Every time. Every time. Here goes the second name. Come on, Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, Mikey, Mikey. James! Yes! I want to play. Thank you. Thank you. Jay is known for being a hard puncher. He punches like a mule kicks. Yeah, but I've also been losing everything we've done lately, so please, God. Please. Oh, boy. I even took my rings off in anticipation that I was going to be punching, but I'm not. Son of a... Wow. I am not going to... Oh, look at... Oh, my God!
Jay is flexing his muscles. Don't unbutton your pants. Oh, for goodness sake. Oh, my God. Let me tell you something. Jay punches hard. He really does. He's mighty. What are you doing, Jay? Getting the surface ready to whack him. You don't know that you're going to beat me. He's rolling up Woods' t-shirt sleeves right now. God, he punches hard. Move the microphone and step in front of the camera. They're flexing, posing. All right. All right, here we go. Good radio. Now, here's how it works. Here's how it works. LOB is going to give them a question. Three of them. Three questions. And the person that comes closest to the right answer is the winner. Now, the best out of three. Best out of three. So we'll begin with Woods. How many seasons of Seinfeld were there? I'm going to say there were. I'm going to say there were. Eight seasons of Seinfeld. Okay. Jay? I'm going to say there were ten seasons. Well, there were nine. So, without going over, I guess it would default to Woods. It's okay. Wait, wait, wait. Here we go. I thought nine, too. Here we go. Here we go. I thought nine, but I thought I don't want to see. Here goes... Sad thing is, I damn near broke my wrist on that one. Oh, my God. He wound up. It didn't hurt. It didn't hurt. It didn't hurt.
Oh, look at Jay. Look at Jay. It's like a side of beef. Okay. Second question. Second question, Jay, you get to go first. About time. What year was the original Ghostbusters movie released? Freaking great guess. Woods. That's my guess. 84? Correct answer, 1984. Yeah! Wait, wait, wait. All right, we got to get quiet. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Let's wait, wait, wait, wait. I got to make sure that I got the right mic on. Right mic. There you go. Oh, boy. Once he gets to punch Jacob. He's using the same arm. That one hurt. That was like hitting a baseball on the sweet spot, dude. That one, there was no pain in my wrist, nothing.
Jay, did that one hurt? Yes. Oh, my gosh. Yes. I just want one. I just want one. Two out of three, I win, right? No, no, no. We got all three. Damn it. I can't use this arm again. We do have one more question. We got one more question. You're going to die. You better win. Go Jay. Go Jay. Final question is, how old is Madonna? Madonna is... Madonna is... Come on. 40... 48 years old. Okay. Or Jay? 47. She's 52. Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! He's 52? Woo! Jay Woods, you didn't have to take one punch. She looks really good. She does. Now, hey, Jay is now switching to the right arm. Oh, I'm so sorry, Jay. Yeah, me too. He knows he doesn't have to punch now. That one wasn't that bad. Oh, my gosh. Dang it, Woods. I want to punch you so bad. Oh, my gosh.
The worst game in the world. Mikey came up with it. Dead arm duel. Wow. I'm sorry, Jay. That second one, I got him. No pain in my... It was like the perfect spot. It was the sweet spot. And I could see his arm. Oh, yeah. I got him good. Well, happy birthday. We got that on video, right? Wait till you see that second one. Oh, boy. It was when you hit a ball into the gap right in the sweet spot. I mean, it was perfect. Can we... pull the curtain back, by the way? Oh, I think we need to. You can't poke a tiger who's already... I'm going to pull the curtain back. Is there anybody in the room right now that was listening the other day when we were playing Buzzword and, well, I don't know if there's anybody that was here when we were playing Buzzword. Buzzword is where Jay gives a word and then he gives clues and we have to yell out what it is. Are we still talking about this? Yes, we are.
This came up off the air. Oh, he's going to spin. This came up off the air. Now, was it because... Oh, yeah. I'll tell you what it was. L.O.B. goes, can you believe that I am getting emails from people saying... And when Ian was on the Mikey Show page. Yeah, and said that Woods got robbed. As usual. When we were playing buzzword. Now, the word was pull. P-U-L-L. Pull. Pull. And L-O-B said, pull the cord. This was the game winning point. The clue was to remove a power source from the wall. And I said, pull the cord. And I said, naturally, pull the plug. Which is when you want to take someone off life support. No, it's pulling the plug. That is definitely one of the definitions. And Jay goes, Lauren. He did not say it like that. I did not say it like that. You're crazy. Lauren. I know you're crazy. He did. And I go, hmm. Internally. Internally, I went, pull the cord. Right. So did I. So did I. Who's ever heard of pull the cord? Hey, scoreboard doesn't lie. Never has. But the scoreboard in this case.
was J. Right. And you got to understand that the way that we play buzzword is by using cards from the actual game. It's a real game. Right there. Black and white. There's no gray area. So... Oh, there's some gray area. There's some gray area, right? There's currently... There's a lot of gray area. There's currently some gray area. Where's the gray area? Well, yeah. Well, there won't be any gray area as soon as J produces the card that says pull the cord. It is in that box. They found a card that says pull has... pull, but it doesn't have that one. Jay, I'll give you $100 if you can find the card. We actually found one that says pull on it. It's none of the same ones. And listen, there are repeats. I found three blacks. Weird. There's a bunch of repeats in there. Except for pull. We can't find that pull. Now, has it been, have we on the Mikey Show, has Jay been known to try to Kudetami from winning a game. He's never raised a point value. He does it for all of us. This is a box of a ton of cards. And they're both sides. Can I also raise this point, by the way? When we went in to get the box, was Jay a little bit...
Yo, get away from here. So here's the deal. Here's the deal. I'm trying to keep the cards. I'll find it later. I'm trying to keep the cards in order so that we don't have repeats. There's like 8,000 cards. I know. I don't want to get them out of order. There's approximately 300 cards in that box. We've played four times. We've played four times. But I go through the cards and find really good ones. Well, somebody else went through the cards. Mikey went through the cards, and L.O.B. went through the cards. To try to find this pull card to see what the deal was. The attention span of a gnat. That's true. Guess what? He's right. He's right. Did you find it? We found a card that said pull, and on the card, pull the cord isn't on it. But none of the same clues that he gave us. There's another pull card somewhere out there. Where is it? I don't know, but Jay, I have your back. He hit it. It must have disappeared. He hit it because he let Lauren win the game. No, he did not. What motivation would he have to do that? To kudetami. No. Wait a minute. Now, you guys say he didn't say any of these. Now, if anybody was listening, they can call and tell us. Here are the clues. Once you do it, throw the grenade quickly. That's pull the pin. Recover from a life-threatening illness or injury. Pull through.
Do your share of the work? Pull your weight? I remember the... We had pull yourself up by your bootstraps was definitely one of them. That was one. And then I definitely said pull over, which was something with no zippers or something like that. I'm telling you, the card is in there. Well, it's not. We couldn't find it. I went through twice. Just produce the card. It's all good. Just produce the card. And we're done. If as soon as you produce a card, we've got it. Just produce the card. He's getting done. You guys, he's not going to make it up. I believe you, Jay. Did you guys look through the cards? Yes. Did you find them? We looked twice. Now, I don't, I'm not saying that we didn't, we couldn't have missed it. I'm just saying we did look twice. I'm saying it. We didn't miss it. Yeah. It's not in there. Woods. Woods is scrolling through. I'm looking again. You're not going to, I mean. Listen, and here's the deal. Jay. Yo, yo, yo, yo, yo. Oh my gosh. Where'd he go? Oh boy. Did he just leave? Oh my God. Chris says he just bounced or something. Did he leave? Oh, Chris is... He kissed my A. Is he out there? Is he out there? I brought it up in his defense. He left? Where is he? He went out the door? Oh, wow. Oh, that's cute. That's great. He, like, threw those headphones off. I saw. He did? Yeah. And you heard that noise. He kicked a chair. No? He feels so bad. He kissed my A. He kissed my A. Maybe don't.
Maybe don't make me hit the button. Yeah, don't get dumped. Did you hit the button? Over a stupid game. Well, you guys are accusing him of lying. Are we? He didn't lie. Or are we poking him? He's not lying. No, he's not lying. You're jeopardizing. The only thing I said is I think he might have hid the card because I think we busted him. Don't you? Don't you think we busted him? Why would he give me pull the cord? We went through the whole thing, dude. We did. It ain't in there. I bet we should have the studio audience go through this. They can. Yeah. He left. He left. Hey, do you know how to do the thing? You do? Chris knows how? We have to go to commercial. Just go to commercial. Oh, God. Let your voice be heard on the Mikey Show. That stuff's hooey. I went in the bathroom and there was somebody in the stall and I'm like, I wonder if that's him. And so as I'm walking out, I go, Jay, nothing. But Jay is angry and left. Holy cow. I'm sweating. Dude, I text him. He always texts. You know him. He has his phone holstered to his belt. Nothing. Keys aren't out there either. I called Garrett and got voicemail and left him a message and said, Jay left. That's happened on my show before. Really? Blunder did it. Like you guys made him mad and he walked off? Yep. Sean did it and Blunder did it. One time, that one time, Woods did show up late, but we never had anyone leave. Oh, boy. It's not quite the same thing. When did you show up again, Woods? What time did I get here? It was like 6.45 or something. My power went out. Just trying to redirect. Were we... Or were we too mean? Was that too mean? What's your name? Corbin. Corb. Dude.
It was too mean. It wasn't. It wasn't, Sienna. That's what we do, though. Was that not anything we would have normally done? Nothing worse than we've ever done to this guy. Fair enough. Absolutely. Or not really worse than we've ever done to Jimmy Carter. But you're... I just think, you know, we're questioning his honesty, and I think that that's... Well, then where's the card? Right. I think he probably in a... And we weren't like... seriously attacking his personality. He's got a ton of responsibilities out there. He probably accidentally threw it away or it's in there somewhere. But he doesn't need to show us the card. We shouldn't be like, show us the proof. April. Fools. Suckers. Get, dude. Are you kidding me? You're a D-head. You are a D-head. Thank God. Winner, winner. Chicken dinner, you son of a... Oh, my God. Feel my heart. Really? Feel my heart. I'm that big a baby? He's so mean. Feel my heart. I thought when you came back and said April Fool's that you were still mad. No, no. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God. Like he's having an arrhythmia. I want nothing to do with you, Jay, as well. Jay! Now you're on my list. Where'd you go? At the studio. I've been listening the whole time. You son of a... I kept hearing the door, and I squat down because I thought somebody would be coming through.
Please don't ever do that again. That's not funny, dude. Shane, you made it like you hit the don't button, you D. Oh, my gosh. He's good at it. It's not his first time. Please disregard the text I sent to you that says DBB. Don't be a baby. What time did you hit that button, by the way? I'm going to have to edit that out. I don't know. I'm sweating. Are you crazy? Are you really mad, but you're using this? I feel like he's using it. I am not mad at all. You know how Mikey gets spun out. He was mad. I could care less than you guys don't believe me about the card. I have a theory. I have a theory. We've all looked through it. I have a theory. He was not April Fool's. He was mad. I agree with you. I'll get fired. Really? I agree with you. If I was really mad, I would have just quit. I would have just quit if I was that mad. You can't just quit. Your wife called. She's like, we need the money. You get back in there. Yeah. You go in there. It's almost a joke. I'll bet he was in his truck and he went.
I bet I get fired. Maybe talk to the engineers because I made sure that somebody was around just in case you guys couldn't do it. Is that true? Yeah, 6 a.m. Talk to Jeremy. Chris couldn't find anybody. Get Jeremy. I know. Get Jeremy. I even want to test to see if that's true. I can show you the text messages if you'd like to see them. Please. You freaking trickster, dude. You're a monster with things. You're a monster with things. You have blood. Tiger's blood dripping through your mouth. I said, what time are you in? He goes, I hate it when girls ask me that. Oh, wow. Then I said, he goes, no, he had to rush to the transmitter. He goes, on the way back, Chris just texted me in a panic. It's hilarious. I'll be in in five minutes. M1HB, who's in the studio, said, people are texting me, is this April Fool's? And I looked at her, and I thought about it, and I was like, there's no way. There's no way. Jay is the man that does acting. The guy can't act. Yeah, he can't act for anything. Apparently, I can. You kicked a chair and swore on the air, dude. Look at Mikey. How does that text prove it? Yeah, what does that prove? That Jeremy... See, now here we go again. Damn it, y'all kiss my A. I'm out. I went...
Hey, question. Where is the card? It's in there. I'm telling you that much right now. Okay. I'm still not completely sold. It's not in there. I'm not sold on the fact that this was a real April Fool's bit. On your... I don't like when you do that. On your house. On my testicles. They don't mean anything to you. You know you're going to lose them. Yeah, it was a prank. How dare you and your face. I knew I would start off this morning. I put that fake nail polish thing on your laptop. It didn't work. And that's why it looks so fake. I was like, here we go. I can trick him. He'll think, that's it. Dude. And he thought, oh, that's his big April Fool's joke. Yep, there it is. They dried nail polish on a piece of wax and put it on Mikey's. Keyboard. Mikey's checking his pulse. Mikey's checking his pulse. My heart. Mine too, dude. I'm still not believing. I'm looking through the cards again. Hey, Jeremy, since you're listening, would you call in? Who? Jeremy. I still feel like... Yeah, because that text doesn't say it was a plan. I'm still feeling like you got mad and now you're covering it up. Because that's not a funny prank. It's not funny. He took his keys. That's a prank? He's gone again.
No, he's right there. I was talking. I'm going to give Jeremy's number to Cross. Look at him. That little freaking prankster. Either way, you're fired. You can't fire me. April Fool's. April Fool's? Hey, y'all. You need me for the rest of the show. Nuh-uh. We figured it out. I don't like pranks. Mikey hates pranks. I don't want any more. The whole cast of my old crew walks in. They're like, just kidding. Boy, we let you sweat that one out for a year and a half. So, Mike, we were going to put all of your pens and highlighters that you use every morning in a jello mold. Would you or would you have not thought that that was funny? Like if you came in in the morning? I would have thought it was funny. Would you have? I'm just saying that. Yeah, he's just saying that. Actually, I was going to get replicas of everything. Yeah. Anyway. I found two cards that are full. F-U-L-L.
Fool. That's what I was saying. Fool. There are definitely repeats. I thought I was going to walk to my car, and I'd just be walking after the show, just shaking my head, and just a blindside whack right to the jaw. My mouth is dry. Yeah, get some of that in you. I didn't open it. Bottled water, you devil. It seems like this has been opened. It hasn't been opened. This is another April Fool's. It's like poison. Sorry, Nick. It's vodka. It's vodka. Jay's like, April Fool's back. Guess who's off the wagon? Relapse. Relapse. It's vodka. Mikey, you can see beads of sweat on his forehead. Has Jeremy called in yet? No. Weird. He will. Willie. Jeremy's in Australia. Yeah. If it was a prank, I tip my cap, sir. Well done. If it was a prank, I don't tip my cap. I tip my cap. I don't either way because I almost screwed up the AIS. I've never been more distracted doing AIS. Yeah. You don't even know what you said. You blacked out. You said the number about 17 times. I was panicked in the other room thinking, okay, are they going to be able to do this? I've showed Chris. I've showed Lauren's seen it. You showed me like the first week. Jeremy's here? Jeremy's here. Come in here. Pull that microphone up. Are you scared?
Are you scared? Was it really, did he really get a hold of you beforehand and it was legitimate? Total bit. Total bit. And you believe, I believe Jeremy. You have to believe Jeremy. He's the old man who does acting. He's the old man. He's the old man who does acting. I guess he can act, he just can't read. He's the old man with the poetry. He's better at free form than improv. Yes. He's a method actor. Method actor. Holy crap. When did he tell you? He told me about six o'clock this morning. Okay. He actually caught me while I was getting on my motorcycle. What did he say? He basically said, are you in? And I wrote back, I hate when girls ask me that question. Right, we heard that. Clever. While you guys were doing some sort of bit, I was standing over here in obscurity, and he said, dude, I'm going to prank Mikey. This could end bad for me. I need you to be around. That almost ended bad for me. Yeah, Mikey almost died. I'm pretty sure by the end of the day it's going to end badly for Jay. He's going to get a talking tip. From Demick. Oh, wow. I just looked at every card twice and it's another. Fake bit. It's there. So should I take the victory now? Just call it mine? No. No. We'll find the card. Pull the card does exist. Yeah, we looked it up in the Urban Dictionary and the definition was none too flattering. Yeah.
It was a synonym for doing something in the privacy of your own home. Should we do Let's? Should we play Let's? Yes. I'm all flustered now. I know. You expect us to wrap? Can I go take a break? I need a break. F this. Let's talk to Daniel. It will make us feel better. For a second, I was like, who's Daniel? I'm so spun out. We're really sorry. Daniel. Wheel on up here. I guess that chair doesn't have wheels, so never mind. Daniel, you're a master of ceremonies. No. MC. What does it stand for? I'm a mic controller. Mic controller. Yeah. An MC. Now, you are going to teach the girls this morning what it takes. What I want to know is when you're rapping, what is the proper way and what do you have to have motivation-wise? What do they need to know? What's important?
I think one of the big things is when you're rapping, you probably pretty much got to get like, well, let me see. You got to know what you're talking about for one. That's main topic. Great. And you got to have a topic. All right. Whether you're talking about your background, where you come from, what you plan on doing in life. Right. Or just other sucker MCs out there. Oh, talking smack. Sucker MCs. Now, your name is Daniel, but do you go by a name? Yeah, I go by Dick. MC, do you go by MC Dick? Nah, just Dick. Just Dick. Dick. Dick. Dick. Dick. That's it. Gosh, right? Gosh, dude. I didn't know if it was Dick. I didn't think of it like in a dirty way. I know, but Dick. Dick. Just Dick. It's like that. D-E-K? That's it, D-E-K. How'd you know that? How'd you know that? You know. I just, you know. Hello. I found out you were coming in and Googled you. No, I didn't. She looked me up. No, I didn't. I'm on the MC. I didn't. I didn't. No, I'm on the MC level. I speak, you know, MC. That's it. She's an MC. She'd probably win this. No.
Can you explain D-E-K? What is that? D-E-K. Well, it's not really a major meaning behind it. I started rapping when I was in high school with this little group. Actually, a big group. It's like the modern-day Wu-Tang Clan. Nice. And they just hooked me up with the name Dick. That's cool. It's cooler than D-E-C-K because that means like a patio. Right. Exactly. Okay. Now, here's the thing, though. Okay. The girls are not going to be doing their own. They're going to do a cover. And so even if you're doing a cover, is there something you need to know in terms of like attitude? Attitude? Not really a major attitude. I think it's just you got to know the melody, the rhythm of what the person actually saying. You got to get it down right. Okay. Now, even though it's not their story, because they're going to do Lose Yourself by Eminem. It will be my story. So you're going to make it your story. I'm going to feel Eminem. I'm going to become one with him. I'm going to be from Detroit. Yep. You know what I mean? Now, what we need. Eight Mile. We need two. Sucka MCs. We need two people to call right now. Easy. We need two people to call right now. You're either going to pick Sienna or you're going to pick L.O.B. And then what we'll do is after they each have a turn at it, we'll open up the phone lines to M1s and best out of five will...
Will be the rap winner. You realize we're two white girls. Yes. I'm from Mahoya. Yeah. By the way. You got to harness your inner hood. That's what it is. All right. All right. By the way. A lot of hood in LJ. There you go. When they told Dec what they were doing yesterday, he laughed really hard. LLB asked me this morning if I thought it would be better if she sat on his lap and did it. If it would come out a little bit better. Didn't you? I mean, I thought it. M1 Craig is on the line from San Diego. And Craig, who would you like to take? LLB. LLB. Oh, shit. Hang on the line. She knows more than I know. I'm straight thug. Yeah, she's from Jersey, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel like they know more over there than La Jolla. M1 Pico from Mission Valley. Sienna's your girl, okay? Okay, yeah. You picked me. All right, hang on the line.
So Daniel can, like, kind of coach and motivate us as we're going. Like hug us and stuff? Or maybe, yeah. Yeah, maybe give us baby kisses. Can we, like, do, like, a quick rough draft and he'd be like, no, like this, and then we perform? It's up to you. You can throw in maybe some, like, uh. Okay. Oh, yeah. I'm going to stand over there because I'm really embarrassed. I'm so embarrassed. I'm so embarrassed. Should we? Oh, my God. Question. Should we, should we, do you girls want to stay while the other one is here? Yeah, we're going to battle. Okay, all right. We'll battle. You're ready to battle? Yeah, oh yeah. All right. Do we have the words? Woods has the words. Woods has the words. I do? Yeah, give it to you this morning. It's another coup d'etel. Keep it safe. Yeah, April Fool's. Okay. All right, who gets them first? See ya. Well, we know. We have to do it the right way. It's eight miles. What is that? One. Slip a coin. Heads is L-O-B. Tails is Sienna. Okay. Both sound pretty good. L-O-B? Heads. All right. L-O-B. Yo, DJ. Spin that ass. All right. I need the word. I need the word. I have no snare in my headphone. Yes, you've got one. Wait, is this... He's already talking? No. No. About to come in now. You're ready. Tell me when it's coming in. All right. All right.
He's sweating. I'm so nervous. I'm so nervous. Ready? Go ahead. Go. Palms are sweaty. Knees weak. Arms are heavy. There's vomit on his sweater already. Mom's spaghetti. He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs, but he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down. The whole crowd goes so loud. He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out. He's choking. Oh, everybody's joking now. The clocks are now. Time's up, overblow. Snap back to reality. Up, there goes gravity. Up, there goes gravity. Choked, he's so mad, but he won't give up that he is. Keep going, keep going, keep going. Don't stop. Don't matter, buddies. Gosh, I lost my spot. You gotta keep going. You gotta keep going. Find your spot. Okay. She goes back to his moment. That's when he goes back. Self-involved. You better know. You only get one shot. Do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime. Yo. Is that good? Is that good? That's pretty good. That's good. Not bad. I mean, hey, you had your mess up, but you're doing real good. Key thing, if you mess up, you just got to keep going. Well, then I lost my spot. Sienna, are you ready? No. Okay, perfect. I was shaking the whole time. I feel like I'm going to stop.
Here we go. Yo, DJ. Spin that ass. Yo, yo. This is DJ Sienna. I'm the MC up in the heezy. I'm from LJ. Stop, boys. I'm trying. I'm in a gangsta right now. Eminem. Sienna. Snoop Dogg. It's you. One shot. Really? Ball is ready. Mom's spaghetti. That's all right. Because you just slipped. Mom's spaghetti. Okay. There's ball in a sweater. Mom's spaghetti. Good job, Mom's spaghetti. Keeps on forgetting what he wrote down. The whole crowd grows so loud. He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out. I'm at the wrong spot, but I don't give up. This is the worst thing ever. It's so hard. I distracted myself. Is that it? Okay, wait, hold on. I'm going to wait until I'm going to go. Here, I'm shaking. You see this paper? I was doing this thing. Now you know how I feel when Jay left the studio. Wait, oh wait, the curse is coming. You're going to who? You better lose your music the moment. One shot, do not go. Let's go. Oh my gosh, that was the most scared I've ever been. Now, here's the thing. Before we even started, I said, I see this as completely even, and I was right. It was. We're both awful.
I don't even know if I win, if I can accept a win. Well, here's the thing. You won. When Lauren went, she starts good and then completely jacks it up. I lost my spot. My palms are sweaty. And in my head, I'm thinking to myself, Lauren just lost. I mean, she lost. And then Sienna starts, and she starts so strong. She did start strong. I'm like, oh, she's got it. And then she falls apart. It was completely equal. I knew I was going to have to do something else to step up my game and it just made me lose. I don't know about that. In my mind right now, I have no idea. I'm so humiliated. I'm mortified. What do you think? What do you say about that? Well, don't even get... Yeah, I don't want him to sway anybody because... Okay, okay, okay. 570-1949. Can Deck do it the right way? Well, he has... He said... I can... Like I said, you can think about or talk about anything. Like, something pop in my head. What if I were to play that music? Could you, like, do something freestyle to that? I don't really know about that beat. I sent you an instrumental that's from him. Yeah. And he can do something with it. It's on your email.
Oh, it is? Yeah. He just told it to me in commercials. Oh, okay. So do you write anything? You don't like write down while you perform? I write down. I freestyle. I actually wrote something when I was driving up here on a five. Oh, that's so rad. I'll tell you what then. Here's what we're going to do. And it's clean, right? It's clean. Okay, here's what we're going to do. I am going to take five calls, okay? And all you're going to say is L-O-B or Sienna. L-O-B or Sienna? I want to just go away and never come back. My cheeks are so hot. Best out of five. 570-1949. And you're just going to say L-O-B or Sienna? Oh, my God. M1 Mike from San Diego. Who do you want? I'm MC Loeb. L-O-B. Really? This is M1 Andy K. L-O-B or Sienna? L-O-B. Uh-oh. Thank you? Best out of five, so she needs one more. Oh, wow. Oh, no. This is... Yeah, this is... Is it Nubian Prince? Of course it is. I can tell by his laugh. I mean, yeah. I wonder if he's going to pick. Is it Nubian Prince? M1 Nubian Prince. Who are you voting for? I love you, but L-O-V. The winner. Thank you, Nubian Prince. Good job. I don't...
If I hadn't tried to show off, I maybe could have read the words. I don't feel deserving of it. Wow. L.O.B. proves once and for all that she knows the culture. She's an MC. I am a true. MC L-O-B. That's right. I'm no second. And so MC Deck will do a little something for us. Yeah, he is. Okay. L-O-B is an OG. Okay. Yes, she is. All right. M1 Daniel, you ready to do this? I'm ready. All right. Here's your music. We have to do it after the break. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. That's right. People look forward to it. That's right. Okay. Let's take a little break. When we come back, we will have Deck. I know I'll be looking forward to it. Do his thing. I know you will. Let's make some noise in the studio. People are going to like this. The Mikey Show. It's a good time. You know what I mean? And walked out of the studio and basically had all of us running the program because he's the... He's the producer. Yeah, you know, as the producer, he presses all the buttons. Yeah. And they're...
Kind of important. They kind of are. He's kind of a big deal. Although we did kind of figure it out without him. Yeah, do we really need him? Good luck to you. Everyone just kind of pulled their weight. For a change. Oh! Yeah, some people pulled more than they had. Yeah, Woods, Mackie. They had to make a double load. Wow. It hurts. It cuts so deep. He doesn't like anything fancy. He doesn't like. I don't like fancy. Well, aside from. Yeah, I was like, no, mom, he doesn't like anything fancy. If by fancy, you mean new. Yes, exactly. He doesn't like new things. He doesn't like things that he's unfamiliar with food wise. Yeah. And so I go, Woods, you got to try this. He goes, uh-uh. I go, please. He goes, no. Which, I don't know what that phenomenon is that exists in the human brain when you want somebody to try something and they say no. You can't stop until they try it. You're a food raper. Yeah, you're a food raper. I'm a food rapist and I'm just enforcing myself on him. And I said, if you don't like it, I'll give you a $10 bill. He goes, done. So I handed it to him and I go, now, you have to be honest.
He goes, okay. He took a bite. He goes, mamacita. Mamacita. Killed the whole thing already. Nice. It's so good. They know what they're doing. It was so tender. Savory. Savory. It hits on the part of your tongue that controls savory. Really good. Anyway, thank you, El Pollo Grill. We like code in here. Deck is in the studio with us. Yeah. Sharp cat. Sharp cat. Dude, they just told me they listen. Their kids listen to us every morning. So Nasira, Natalia, and Anthony are listening right now. Hi, girl. Hi. And my little stars, man. That's awesome. Aw, little angels. Little angels. So, Dec, how long have you been doing this? How long have you been? I've been rapping since I was 12, 13 years old. Really? Yep. Trying to put words together, walking around with a rhyming dictionary through schools. That's so cool. Do you carry a notepad with you at all times? All times. Yeah. You can ask me. In the car. You couldn't sit down in my car without moving papers out of there. Really? Really. I was just going to say, what's your wife's name? Samantha. Samantha, do you find pieces of paper all over the place and stuff? Everywhere. My wife finds donuts all over my house.
which is weird. Tacos at your house. Yeah, tacos and taco wrappers. There are empty boxes of donuts. Empty Big Mac boxes everywhere. It's weird. There's pictures of black guys all around. All around my house. Which is strange, you know? So weird. Her mom growing up used to be like, darling. Yes. Again with Michael Jordan. I mean, come on. Okay, so you're going to be rapping for us and this is something that you just came up with on the way down here. Something I just came up with. All right, here we go. Yo, now ain't nobody messing with me. 40 calories, tear your arms off for trying to tussle with me. Lesson learned, don't ever try to wrestle with me. Little dummies, 50 cent you, 9 shots. Wrapped you like you was a mummy. Lay you in that pine box, then step on you for trying to front me. I bet life is crummy when you broke a living bummy. Probably why these dudes is hating on me, cause I'm spending money. Funny how these clowns always got something to say. But nowhere to be found when I'm around walking they way.
I got this lock like Master Wind clamping down on shackles and chains. And so all artists in this game all suck like Dracula's fiends. Searching for dollars in his land of milk and where's the money? That's a little something I'm saying. All day long. I have goosebumps, dude. That's impressive, bro. That's impressive. That beat is... On a 20, 30 minute drive down here. Can we be friends? You're like the West Coast Q-tip. Yeah, well, I'm from back east, so, you know. Do you ever perform places? Actually, I don't. I just do a little couple tracks. You need to now. Come on. Deck, I'm telling you, like, if I had a record company or whatever, I would go.
I'm going to put this guy in a studio. I'm going to get a great producer. He's a good looking guy. And I'm going to make money and he's going to make money. And if there's anybody listening right now that's like in a record company or whatever and you have the ways and the means. Sharp guy. Give him a gig too. Sharp guy. Nice as can be. Good dad. Make it happen for this guy. He was early. He was professional. He's ready to rock. You know what I thought was cool was like. The words are complex. Like, they're not. And you wrote that on the way here? On the way here. And you said that you're a Marine, too, right? Yeah, I'm in a Marine Corps, too. And it was clean. It was clean. Yeah, it was clean. I love it, dude. I want the disc in my car driving home. Just light. Just light as can be. Oh, yeah, I'm turning up so loud. For me, I can picture the video, okay? For me, the video would be that music playing. And it would be like, I'm driving. And in slow motion, I've got my right hand on the steering wheel. And in slow motion, I lift a burrito up. That's it. Yeah, there you go. You're harnessing your hood. I got a Big Mac out the window of my car. Yeah, exactly. I'm in my car and I stick my hand out the window and just look at my interior. And I'm just next to him and all of his friends in the video. Dude, that was incredible.
Incredible. That was incredible. That was great. Can you do more during commercials? Seriously. And maybe for the rest of the day. That was so cool, man. Oh, so cool. And now that's the thing that I think is really great about it is you could see that the reason that it's a talent is just try it. Yeah. I mean, if you go, oh, well, just try it. Try it. Right? Try to write that and try to do that. Clearly, Sienna and I had words written for us. I'm a real song. We've heard the song at least a hundred times. That was probably the second time I even did that. It's crazy. You have a gift. You do. I want to see you on TV. I think that the deal is that in order for somebody to... get signed and become famous, it just shows you how much luck is involved with it. And knowing people. Because you're clearly, dude, you could do with that for a living. You know what I mean? This guy's out there walking around. Yeah. You know, no deal. Yeah. Sometimes he has his shirt off. Sometimes it's on. Yeah. L.O.B. is like, this guy's out there coming out of a swimming pool soaking wet with just boxers on. That's all I'm saying. Think about it. Really think about it. L.O.B. is like,
Because I have. The phones are blowing up. M1, brown coat from Oceanside. Yep. What was the word of the day? It was your favorite food, burrito. Yeah. That is correct. On both counts. That's correct. Very well done, brown coat. You just won yourself a four-pack of tickets to the Good Guys Car Show, and you also won $40 worth of Dave & Buster's power cards. Just hang on the line, okay? All right, thanks. Very well done. 570-1949 is our number. And Woodsy is going through, I don't know, one of the things that I think we dread more than anything, moving. Oh, yeah. I'm trying to think, like, besides moving. What else? What's worse? I mean, there's worse stuff, but. Surgery, maybe some people. DMV. DMV. Yeah. Oh, yes. DMV is over. It's over. Planning a wedding. Planning a wedding is up there. Moving, there's packing, and then there's actually moving, loading into the car, and then there's unpacking. You forgot a couple of major, major steps in there. What? Because you can put all your stuff in boxes. You can box it up. Then you start walking around your house, and you're like, all this little crap that you don't think about. The lamps, the alarm clocks, the VCRs, the PlayStation you've got to unhook and box up.
But you've also hired packers and movers, right? Correct. So it's a little bit easier. It's a little bit easier, but still not easy. It's stressful because it's your stuff, and you've got to move your stuff from one place to another. Then you have to unpack your stuff. That's worse for me. Then you have to set it up in your new place. Then you have to get cable installed. Then you have to get your internet hooked up. Then you have to change your bills. Then you have to hang pictures. Then you have to organize. Then you have to wash and clean. Dude, I am about to lose my mind. We have moved since we've been married. This will be like, literally, been married three years. This will be like the sixth time we've moved. Because we've moved across the country. We've moved different houses. And you also moved with five dogs. Yes. Correct. That's true. Five dogs. Yeah, that ain't easy. And that ain't easy. They have to readjust. And there's a lot of accidents in a new house. Somebody spun woods out, too. Yeah, I got to. Thanks, Star M1s. Somebody wrote me a private message on Facebook telling me, hey, dude, I hope you hired a really reputable moving company. And I'm like, why? Like, I had a horror story. What happened? Moving company came, gave him a quote of like three grand. Said, we'll do the whole thing, you know, pack, the whole bit, three grand. Said, okay, sounds fair. Like, this is a cross-country move. It was a big deal. Josh's moving company? Yeah. They found it online, you know.
sent it in, got a call back, got a quote, and the guys came out and met them and took their stuff, packed it all up, said, all right, we'll see you in San Diego or wherever they were moving. And the guy called him later and said, yeah, that quote we gave you, it's not going to be. That's not right now. We're going to need $16,000. What? We're going to need $16,000 from you. They have your stuff. We have your stuff. We won't give it back. We'll sell it. We'll sell it. To make our money back. They can do that? Uh-huh. Well, if they're... Go to movingscams.com. This guy said they were holding his stuff for ransom. Oh, my gosh. What did he do? Paid it. He what? Paid it. He paid 16 grand? I don't even have 16 grand. Wait. It's kind of a big difference. Paid it. How? Paid it. Did he say? He didn't say. All he said was... What do you do? Write a check and send it to this address? And then what? How do you get your stuff? They left it in a storage facility for him. I would alert the authorities. Of course. Yeah. And write the check. Yeah. And I think he did call the cops, but he said I ended up paying the money to get my stuff back.
$16,000. So did that spin you out just a little? You know, I was, I'm not going to say I was smart, but I went to Facebook first and I asked them once, hey, who have you used? Who do you like? Who's good? Then I went to Yelp and I read reviews and I settled on green movers and they have been great so far. Oh, green. Yeah, and I do that for LLB. They're green. Why are they called green? Because they're environmentally conscious. Probably the packaging they use. Which is very important to me. Maybe they have diesel fuel. Very important to me, as you know. So it was the cheapest quote. Yeah. Okay. You know me. I heard that I had five or ten people tell me, hey, this is the one to go to. I went, called the guy. He sounded great. I said, all right, let's do it. I'm not a comparison shopper. I might have been able to find a better deal, but I just did it. Yeah. I like to get it over with. I've always used Mayflower. Yeah. And they've been great. They're good for, they're more of like a big, big, long move. Our move is literally four miles from our house. Dude, when I read that story, I was like, holy cow. People will hold your stuff for ransom. So do your research on your moving company. Check out Yelp. Look at reviews. Call us if you've ever had anything weird happen. 5701-949. I had a friend that moved into a place. Everything packed up. She got a U-Haul, packed it all up, got to the new place. And she moved in on a Saturday. And the property management company had left her the keys and everything. She got there, put the key in. Didn't work.
So they just, she had to wait and get somebody in the office on Monday to get her stuff in. Oh my. So she just had like a U-Haul and had to get a hotel. I think they ended up reimbursing her. But she had all these people ready to go, like pizza and beer, let's move it all in. And then the key wouldn't work for the place. There was no emergency phone number. I think they called the repairman, but he was like. I break a window. I would have broken a window. I would have broken a window. So do you pay for it? Yeah. The worst thing that's ever happened to me was my car was late. It was two days late. And so I had to sit, you know, I just had to stay at the apartment. You got it shipped to you? Yeah. Yeah, I had it shipped. I did the thing where I drove somebody else's car, cross country. Didn't you get that on Craigslist? Yeah. Somebody asked you to drive a car and they paid you to do it. Yeah, but it was through a company. It was through a company. Otherwise, I would have thought it was just someone trying to get me to get drugs. Smuggle drugs. Yeah, no, it was through a company and you had to like sign all this like liability and stuff like that. But still, you have somebody else's car. I was like terrified the entire time. Oh, yeah. Wreck it or get it stolen. Okay, questions. How much did it cost? We got paid. I know. How much did they pay you? We got paid, I believe, like $250. And then how do you get back?
We needed to, what we wanted to do was fly back, so it worked out perfectly for us. Because they don't fly you back, right? Yeah, no, no, no, no. We wanted to see the country one way together and make it like, you know, we took like 10 days or 12 days to get across the country, and then we flew back. So you're like, I'll make some money and also get to see the country. Yeah, exactly. It was cool. I did that for the Astros. Excuse me. We did that for the Astros. One of my buddies was a ball boy, and they would come out here, the players would come out here for the summer. Yeah. Or whenever they were off season. And they would pay us to drive it and then they'd fly us home. Wow. It's pretty rad. I know you give me the stink eye. I didn't give you stink eye. I just call it the Mikey eye. Jay's a strange guy. That's what we all call it, actually. Yeah. We just call it the eye. Spin him out more. We don't, Mike. I know. No one's ever said that. No, we don't. Santa does. Santa does. Oh, please. Me. Oh, you don't. Oh, you don't. I don't. Yeah. What's does? What's does? I never do. None of us do. None of us do. I was just trying to make you spun out. Okay. Is it hot in here? Mikey, when you do the slightest thing, it's really, really spun out. And so it's impossible, nearly impossible to get him back on track. Oh, yeah. Creature habit. I'm a creature pet. Yeah.
It's not your fault. That was a bad prank. It wasn't funny. It wasn't like a jovial prank. It was actually mean-spirited, I believe. It wasn't mean-spirited. I believe it was mean. I believe it was evil-spirited. He's an evil spirit. It's kind of my job on the show to try to destroy you. Isolate that. I'm your Lex Luthor. I'm your kryptonite. Tubs. You know, Woods, you didn't really have to throw in your tub. I was doing J. Then it's fine. Yeah, it's all right. I'd do it to myself. Now. That's what I heard. Oh, wow. You got to treat yourself, pal. You got to treat yourself. Stop it, you two. Stop talking about that. There's a microphone in your face. What? It's bad enough when you say it in front of us. Yeah. I don't even know what you guys are talking about. Yeah, you do. We need to have some breakfast. We know way too much about you guys. Yes. All family here. We know way too much about what you look like under your clothing. Yes. Fair enough. What you do when nobody's watching. Yes. Yes. I don't want to. I don't want to know. And I'll say stuff like that and Woods will go, don't you? And I go, I don't.
Really? I don't. He says rise above. Rise above. Yeah. Rise above. Rise above. And he'll keep going into details. Sorted details. Yes. Sorted details. Okay. So. I'm trying to figure out. Oh. Oh. Oh. I know what I want to tell you. So I have one story. About. And it isn't me. It was just me talking to movers. And that would be cool too. Like if you're a mover, you got a weird story that you want to tell us, 570-1949. I'm warning you, this is really, really creepy. So, fair warning. Before I've ever started to tell you this story, what you're about to hear is as crazy and weird and unusual and disturbing as you're going to get. Talking to a mover. I said, you've probably seen a lot of weird stuff moving people, right? And he goes, oh, yeah. And I said, is there, because, you know, usually when it's people like that, they have like the top three and they're like the, you know, these are the three worst in no particular order. And I said, so is there like an absolutely, and he goes, yes. And I go, you know what I'm going to ask? And he goes, oh, yeah. He goes, there's a worst one that I've ever seen. I said, what was it?
He said, a woman had a jar with a fetus in it. And I said, what? He goes, yeah. He said, I didn't know what we, how to pack it. He said, I didn't know if we should pack it in something that was unbreakable. I don't know. Woods is now in the corpse position, meaning that he's left his body. He goes, I didn't know if I should pack it in unbreakable stuff. I didn't know how I should pack it. Fragile. Fragile. Do not bet. He said, and he goes, and the other thing is, he goes, I wasn't 100% what it was. He said, because it didn't quite. He goes, so I asked her about it. And she said, and I'm trying to put this delicately, that she'd lost this early on and loved it and didn't want to dispose. And so kept it.
And it was in formaldehyde. And they agreed to do this for her. And I said, you? He goes, I don't know. They have to. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Now, the woman was completely normal. It was as if he were asking about a pair of boots. He goes, oh, yeah. He goes, I asked her about it. And she goes, oh, yeah. She goes, uh. Just make sure that it doesn't leak or anything, so just make sure that you put it and pack it in something that's good. You know, we've moved it a bunch of times, so it's fine. Oh, my gosh. Oh, it smells like carrots and throats. All right, Jay. It was bad enough without that. It was bad enough without that. Stop dancing, Jay. I can't look. I'm not even looking. I know. I'm still a little bit mad. Are you? We got new movies on the way.
Let's make some noise with our live studio audience in the studio. And you can call us 570-1949 if you've got weird movie stories. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Any guesses on what the average tax refund a person gets? $100. $100? That's the average? Lauren? $600. $3,000 is the average tax refund. That's what the IRS has reported. The IRS commissioner said this yesterday that they expect to give $250 to $300 billion in tax refunds this year. And the average refund is around $3,000. Oh, wow. I never understand what refunds are. Me neither. I don't get it. You don't get refunds? Why didn't they get it right the first time? What do you mean? Like, they take... The idea of a refund is they took too much out. Yeah. Why take it out? I don't get it. I do it. I mean, I intentionally overpay a little bit just so that I don't get penalized. Yeah, well, I'm a billionaire, so it don't matter. Yeah. Take whatever they want from me. You know, the guy that I liked for president wanted to do that. Mike Huckabee. Yeah, there's no such thing, but everybody pays, it was called the fair tax. Yeah. So, anyway. Also, this happened yesterday, and if you missed me, I talked about it a little bit ago, but I thought it was so crazy that a lottery ticket was sold in Chula Vista at the, it's called, where is it? The Seafood Place. The Seafood City in Chula Vista, and the winning numbers were 18, 20, 22, 26, and 41. All six numbers were one. As I usually play.
We're the winning numbers. And no one's claimed the prize yet. And if those were your numbers and you bought this lottery ticket at the Seafood City, it's the winning Super Lotto Plus. You've just won $19 million. Someone in Chula Vista. Maybe I go in there and I'm like, those are the numbers that I usually play. And I forgot to buy my ticket. Yeah. Well, that would suck. Can you just take my word for it that that's what my numbers always are? Not going to happen. I lost my ticket, but can't you just pull up my credit card and somehow find out? Yeah. If this was available, Woodsy, would you do this? Let's say you play the lottery like this. You go, I want to spend $1 per week, $52 a year, just to see if I win. Well, but wait a minute. What if you could do it? To where you go in there and you go, okay, here's my 52 bucks. Here's my numbers. Play them every week. And if I win, let me know. Would you do that? No. What about if it was 12 bucks? You play it once a month. No. You still wouldn't do it. I've never bought a lottery ticket. I bought scratch-offs. I've never bought a lottery ticket. Oh, actually, I did. I lied. I bought five at one time once. And that's it. On the big ones? On the big lottos? Yeah, on the big ones. You can't win unless you play it.
Unless you've got a problem with it. It's me, dude. I'm not winning anything. You know that. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Man, I think all of my griping at Padre fans last year might have helped. Let me tell you this. They got back 91% of their 2010 season ticket holders and added almost 2,300 new season ticket holders. I was kind of getting on you last year. He didn't fill that place up during the playoff run. It's kind of a bummer. It was a bummer for the Padres. They even said so. Well, last year's home opener did not sell out until the day of the game. It's been sold out for two weeks. Catch yourself on the back, Padres fans. Also, this week's sign that the apocalypse is near. They are now eliminating concussions in John Madden electronic football. What? So when the player gets injured... EA Sports President Peter Moore says it was wrong when the company's Madden game would allow concussed players to return to the field in the following quarter. That is no longer the case. It's not real. We have an obligation in our industry, he says, to recognize that brain injuries are one of the biggest on-field issues facing football at all levels right now. That's true. Absolutely. Yeah. This is a video game. Bye.
It's a video game. He also says the Madden game can help show proper tackling technique. Really, dude? Really? So if you have a concussion, if you're playing with Donald Driver and he gets a concussion, he's going to be out a couple games. The board doesn't lie. Never has. It's a video game. It's a video game. It's a video game. It's a video game. You want a sheen about it, Jay? Yeah. Shut up. Shut up. Stop. Move forward. Really, dude? Really? It's on. The next one goes in your mouth. He's getting you there. Just sit back and enjoy the show. Milk and hotties. You got me. All right. Let's sheen about it. Let's sheen about it. Let's see. 570-1949 is the number. We got packing horror stories from Don in San Diego. What happened? I used to work for Mayflower and we were doing a packed job and we tell people if you don't want things.
personal natures to be packed by us, we give you a chance to get rid of that stuff. And the most common things are in bedside nightstands. Hey, Jay. Hey, Jay. We got it. I'm playing a football game on here. Are you? Little ones, little football players rotate around on the top. Say what? Roll tape. And this lady was very uppity and very snooty, like she was better than everybody. Our packers, we went into the bedroom, and they were all on the bed. So we left them because I told the guys, don't pack it because you know where they've been. And when I went back downstairs to finish what I was doing... There was more than one? Oh, yeah. And there was a tub of stuff to use it with that would have put a porn star to shame. That was quite descriptive. And when I went back downstairs, the guys were pulling stuff out of her closet. I heard the most... blood-curdling scream because she walked in her room, saw that they were out on her bed. She came downstairs and started beating on her boyfriend saying, I told you to put that stuff away. Oh, wow. Now they know everything. And from upstairs, the guy goes, yeah, we sure do. Woods, I left my number for you. If you want to call, I can answer anything you want to know about the move that you're doing and who you're going with.
see if they're reputable or not. Dawn, question. It's a little late. They're at my house packing right now, but I got a text. My wife said that they're doing a fabulous job. Oh, good. Okay, good. Question, Dawn. Yes. Why are you whispering? She's at work, I bet. Yeah, but you know what? We could write a book about it, and it's just, I mean, the things you hear every single day and the things that I've seen firsthand. It's just, it's unbelievable. I mean, if I had strangers coming into my house, I know of things that I wouldn't want them to see or do, but some people just have no shame. Dawn, weird question. Sure. Why are you whispering? Because I'm at work. That's a great answer. Well, thank you very much. I appreciate it. Okay, have a good one. All right, we'll see you. Bye. M1 Rick from PB. Hey, man. So me and my buddies show up to move this. This one lady, she's got a one-bedroom apartment, and we walk in, and this place just smells like urine and dog feces, and she's got birds and cats and everything. And it's just a little one-bedroom apartment. So we walk in, and there's just enough room to walk from the living room to the bedroom, and there's just stuff piled up everywhere. Just ridiculous, right? Hoarder. Hoarder. Hoarder, right? It's hoarding. Hoarder. Oh, yeah, it was bad. It should have been on the TV show.
We go to pick up the first box and roaches just start scattering everywhere. Like, not just a couple. I'm not exaggerating. We look at the tape, that she used the tape over the boxes, and there's literally maybe 50 to 60 roaches trying to escape from the boxes. Every single box. My eye just twitched. My eye just did that little twitch thing, you know, like underneath the lid. Doesn't something pop into your brain that says, I quit? No. Got a job to do. Yeah, but like, is it worth it? What are you going to do? She's bringing those roaches to apartment number two. At that point, I don't think she's really that. I mean, when you have feces and boxes up to the ceiling. I don't know that really you're concerned about the roaches. They're just their pets at that point. Yeah. When we went to pick up the rug, the rug in the living room, it seemed like it was grown into the carpet. It was sitting so long, just mold, and we had to rip it off the ground. The carpet came along with it. Now, was this an old woman, young woman? No, she was in her 30s, and we asked her why she was moving, and she said to get away from all the bugs, and I was like, you're bringing them all with you. Oh, my God. What did she say?
No, she said she's just trying to get away from the bugs. She moved across the street, and it took us eight and a half hours just to move her one-bedroom apartment. I want to reason with her. I always do, though. I always want to reason with crazy people. I want to throw something at her and then run out as fast as I can. She seemed the same, too. She seemed like she was all there and all together. Obviously. She is. It's not. Well, she's got a thing. Got a problem. Do you remember what you did when you were done? Go home and take a 30-hour shower? Burn the clothes you were wearing? No, it was horrible. We were kicking roaches out of our truck for the next three weeks. Oh, my God. Because they get all on you. I would have bathed in gasoline. Yeah. I may have. See, now, you just made me think of something. Just made me think. I wonder if that puts your company at liability because the next person you move can blame you. They can say, guess what, buddy? We got roaches because of you. I'm sure there's waivers that people sign. Probably.
All I know is that that girl's probably still single. You don't really bring a new guy around to that. Our company just moved her again. And the last time we moved her was three years ago. And most of the boxes that we moved into her old place were still sitting there not even opened with roaches all in them and everything still. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. I'm losing my mind. I am too. I'm losing my mind. Thank you for the call. Poor roaches. I moved into a place and I moved in on a Saturday. Put all the boxes in. It was a brand new place. And then I went out that night. Came in. Just, you know, had a couple drinks. Passed out in the new bed. The only thing that was on the bed was the sheets. Woke up in the morning with socks on. There was fleas all over my feet. Little black things jumping onto my socks. And I was like, oh my gosh. Yeah. Then I go, oh, I'm sorry. It was in the middle of the night. Because I had to turn the light on in the kitchen. Roaches scattering.
Everywhere. That's filthy. I had to pay a month's rent and I was in there one night. Oh my gosh. I had to fight the guy tooth and nail to get my security deposit back because I was like, I'm not living here. No. I did. We bug bombed it twice. Oh my gosh. That's the worst. Fleas and roaches. Oh my God. It's probably that lady's apartment. Sienna. I got to read Sienna's recap. She got an email this morning. From Todd's friend's wife. Okay, your husband's friend's wife. Yeah, my husband has a friend who's married. And she works for the makeup company, should I say? It rhymes with Jerry Day. Yeah, Pink Cars. Yeah, it's a very well-known makeup beauty line. And they hire... anyone really, to sell their products. And so this woman works for them. That's her only job. And she sent me an email with some promotional items. This morning I get this email.
basically you know wanting me to buy the products and she's done this before and continues to do it and now it's just uncomfortable like we've gone to dinner and she's brought samples for me to try while we're sitting at the dinner table like the four of us is a double date you know and um i mean even for my birthday last year she gave me a little basket of samples to try and all she wants is for me to buy these products and it's like look I don't want to buy the products. And it's putting me in such a weird situation because she's like, did you get my email and stuff like that? And I'm like, look, I'm not going to buy it. And I haven't just come out and said that, but I want to, but I also don't want to be rude. And Todd's just like, oh my gosh, he knows that her husband is just terrified and hates it because she sells to everyone. And I think that, now this is just a guess. I'm going to guess she's probably used, probably. She probably. is used to hearing no. Yeah, I don't know. You need to tell her no. She's so sweet and I really like her and I don't want to be mean and I'm like maybe I buy like one thing but then is it going to get worse? It'll get worse. Don't buy it if you don't want it. I feel bad for her.
And I feel bad for you, too, because nobody likes to be, like, harassed about it. Like Jay does with us, with all that stuff, selling us makeup. Yeah, exactly. Candles, panties. But, like, I've worked in places, too, where, like, the dad comes with his daughter's Girl Scout cookies. Yes. And, like, will you buy the inside? Yeah, but that's okay. That's all right. Yeah, because it's cookies. Yeah, it's fine. I have no problem. Bring it on. But still, it's like you're overstepping boundaries a little bit. But you know what? It's pushy. The difference is that. I've been in sales and you're always looking for leads. That is a really hard sell. The rule is ABC, dude. Always be closing. Always be closing. Not at dinner with your friends. That's the thing. Always be closing, I agree with, but always be closing your friends. I'm friends with her. My husband's better friends with her husband, but you're going to give me for my birthday present a bag of samples? She's trying to sell. She's a salesman. Stop trying to sell for me. It just whips you, dude. It whips you. I hear you, but like, okay, I'll play devil's advocate here because my wife is in sales. She sells office supplies. So we go to sign our lease. She's listening right now and probably vomiting. We go to sign our lease and we're signing our thing and she looks around, big office. And she goes, oh, who does your office supplies? And I was like, for a second, I got mortified. But she's in a place of business. But then again, I go, it's badass.
My wife's a freaking seller. Look at her. She's a killer. And that's a place of business. Now, what if she was at our house and she says, hey, uh... Mike, I know that you're very particular about your stuff. Can I sell you a couple of crates of blah, blah, blah? Then I feel obligated. You would be mortified if Jamie said that. That's the position I'm in right now. Yeah, the obligation. We're not in a place of work. We're like friends at a restaurant. That's true. If she was hosting a party where she sold this stuff and you came, obviously the intention is to buy. Yeah, you're there to look and maybe buy. I think, Sienna, honesty is the best policy. You have to be like, listen, I like you. I'm not buying your stuff. Just say you have a particular brand of makeup that you're comfortable with. You have sensitive skin, which is true. You're all about being direct and honest. I am, but I have a thing. I was saying this yesterday. I'm all about being direct and I'm all about being honest, but there's one element that's missing that you have to add into it. Empathy. It's love. It's love and niceness. I will tell people no all day long, but I have to do it nice.
It's that concept of living in the truth. If whatever you're doing is okay, it's okay. And you don't have to worry about it. If what you're doing is in the slightest bit shady, you got a problem. But if what you're doing is completely all right and not wanting to buy Jerry May makeup products, that does not make Sienna bad. Not at all. And so for that reason, it's okay to... very nicely say no. That's a whole boundary thing. And see, so many people, man, they just, we get into this place where we're like, we can't, we can't, we can't. Woodsy has a tough time. Like, Woodsy, and I said to Woodsy the other day, I remember what we were talking about, and I go, dude, I will always tell you the truth. I'll never tell you what you want to hear. It was an endorsement opportunity. It was the endorsement thing. It was the endorsement thing. It was about, it was like a boxing thing. And the salesperson wrote both of us and said, do you, you know, either of you guys want to do this? And I wrote back and I said, if Woodsy passes, only if Woodsy passes. Now, Woods got in his mind, oh gosh, I'm stepping on Mike's toes. I don't want to step on his toes. You know, he needs to have it first. And Woods is like, no, dude, that's yours. I mean, you know, and I go.
And I go, and I had to, like, beat it out of him. He was, like, mad at me. Well, I had to beat it out of him. I finally go, okay, I just got as direct as I could. I go, Woods, would you do this? And he goes, 100%. And I go, well, there it is. There it is. Do it. And he goes, I don't want to upset. And I go, Woods, I go, I tell you. And I do. I'll tell you. I'll say no. You know, and that's why. There was a really difficult adjustment for everybody here on the Mikey Show when we were doing our meetings because my philosophy is whatever the ideas that we have are, shoot holes in them. I hope I'm not great. I'm teaching other radio shows. Stop it. By shooting holes, he means like, look. that could not work because of this. Yes. Or, you know, would people care about this? Yes. And hopefully, it still floats. I love to shoot holes. And you said, shoot holes in mine as well. Yeah. And it's not just the other way. In fact, I'll shoot holes in my own ideas. Yeah. I'll say something and I'll go, it sucks. We all do, yeah. And I'll go, here's why. I go, here's why this isn't going to work. And I'll say it and people will be like, no.
I don't know. That might work this way. Yeah. And we'll do that. What if we do it like this? Yeah. And if it still is standing after we've taken shots at it, now Woodsy, Woodsy's like, I love it. I love it. I love it. I love it. He's in on any idea. But the problem is with people that are being too nice or too passive or not setting boundaries is you end up pleasing everybody else around you, but then you're secretly resenting everybody else because you're not pleasing yourself. I can't say no to stuff. I can't. I'll get emails for things. Things you guys don't even have a clue about. And I'm like, okay. I know. He's right. He told me about one yesterday. I've got several of those. So everybody listening right now, if you're like Woods and people ask you stuff and you find it hard to say no, I'm going to tell you what my shrink told me. I'll walk you through this process. Okay, Woods? I need it. Okay. This is what she said to me. I'll say it to you. You answer genuinely. It's not a rhetorical question. I actually need an answer. Let's say that somebody asks you to go to lunch. Uh-huh. And you just don't want to hang out with them. Okay. Okay? It has nothing to do with you have time to do it. Right. You could if you wanted to. Right. You just don't want to. Sure. I know you. I go. You go. Period. No question. I know that. 100% of the time. I know that about you. Now, here was the question. And I used to as well. But here was the question my shrink asked me. She goes,
What happens if you don't? They're mad at me. They think I'm a D. They think I'm a jerk. Are you a jerk? Kind of. How come? Because that's how I feel. I feel like if somebody wants me to help them do something and I don't do it, then I let them down. But we're talking about going to lunch. Okay. So they want me to go to lunch. Hey, I'd love to buy you lunch at wherever. Okay. Yeah, sure. I'll go. Do you want to go? Not really. And if you don't go, are you a jerk? In my mind, yes. Okay. That's the part that when we come back, I'll explain. Because that's the key right there. He's not a jerk. Aren't I? Isn't he? Why did I know a jerk? By a jerk, you mean fat. By a jerk, you mean he's like the skipper from Gilligan's Island. Call 570-1949. Or text 949Mikey at gmail.com. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9.

Hey, let's make some noise with our live studio audience that we have in here. Great audience today. Welcome back. So the question is, and the topic that we were on, was how to say no to people. Right. And it's really difficult. There's a book about it called Boundaries. And for some people, it's very difficult to say no. Yep. And Woods is definitely one of these guys, man. It bothers them to say no to people. Well, somebody asked me to do something for them next Friday and he's listening right now and texting me. He goes, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. You ain't who I'm talking about. Okay. So the thing that he asked me to do is to speak to his Toastmasters group, which is something that I was involved in when I was in sales. And I freaking love talking about sales and ripping the mic and talking. So Cam, don't sweat it. Yeah. All the way in on that. And that's the thing, man. I mean, people ask me to do things all the time.
You have to be able to say no, you know. Now, so with the exercise that I was doing with my shrink, she says, well, what's the deal? I said, well, this guy says that he wants to give me something. Now, here's somebody that's wanting to actually give me something. Yes. But I don't want it. That's okay, by the way. It's okay. It feels so weird. I know it does, but it's okay to not... If I say woods, dude, I got a... I got 40 pounds of sheep meat, dude. It's fresh. Bad idea. I'm bringing it over. There is no way we can eat all of it. I'm bringing it... In your head, you'd be like, I don't want the sheep meat, dude. I don't want sheep meat. First of all, I don't have any place to put the sheep meat. I've got plenty of places to put it, but I don't want it. I don't want it. Because it's sheep meat. It's sheep meat. Or, you know, let's just say whatever. Like, you just don't, you don't want it. Yeah. If it was you saying it to me, I'd be like, yeah, bring it on over. I just, dude, I'm a pleaser. It's how I am. I need like. So let me walk you through. Because that was the situation with me. It's hard. Somebody want to bring you some sheep meat. Not sheep meat. Goat meat. No. And I said to my shrink.
This person said they want to give me this thing. And I don't know what to do. And I'm all worked up. I don't know what to do. You're freaking out. I don't know what to do. She goes, what do you mean? She goes, do you want it? I said, no. And she goes, why don't you say no? And I was like, it was like she was saying, why don't you ship them a turd in the mail? She might as well have said the same thing. I go, no. I'm not going to say no. And she said, what will happen? What do you think will happen if you say no? And I said, now, I didn't think what you thought. I didn't think, oh, they'll think I'm a jerk. Hurt their feelings. I thought to myself, it would hurt their feelings. Yeah. And she said, why will it hurt their feelings? And I said, because they're trying to give me something. I'm saying no to it. Right. And she said, again, do you want it? No. And you think that it'll hurt their feelings? Yeah. If you do say no, what do you think that the absolute worst, take it as far as it can possibly go, what's the absolute worst? I said that it hurts their feelings because that was the worst that it could be. Right. But that was enough for me. And she said, now, what is that? This was the key. What I'm about to say right now is the key. What does that say about you?
In your mind, what's that say about you? And I had the same answer Woodsy did. I'm a bad dude. I'm a bad person. And she said, now, because you don't want that sheep meat, she goes, are you a bad person? And I went, S-O-B. S-O-B. I'm not a bad person if I don't want it. That's true. Now, the key is the niceness. The key is the niceness. It's all good, man. It's all good. I don't need it and I'm all good. I'm good. Now, the first time I did it, I was coming out of my skin. I'm telling you, I was coming out of my skin. Now I'm like... I type it back now. Real nice. No problems now. But when I first started doing it, Woods, I was coming out of my skin.
What if someone were to buy you a present, like, for you, though? Oh, if they give it to you. Like, if somebody comes... Yeah, but they're like, oh, let's meet for lunch. I got you something, you know? Then what do you do? Like, they went and bought something for you. Like, that happens. Yeah, and if that's the deal, like... It's your birthday. I got you a little birthday, so I'm like, let's go to lunch, and I'll treat you, and, you know, I... Here's the deal. That's a good one. I love that one. If the person is a person... that got you something and wants to go to lunch with you you probably know them pretty well i'm thinking unless of course it's the type of person that you just are not interested in a relationship with and if you're not interested in a relationship what's the worst that can happen in this case the worst that can happen is they don't want to be your friend like Think about that. Yeah, but they got you some, you know, like there are friends like that maybe I want to break up with. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. You know what's key there? What? You know what's key there? They're probably. They're probably. Oh my gosh. You guys can't help yourselves. I could be in my father's eulogy and be going, my father probably, probably. He probably does. I know. Yeah, for sure. The person, if they.
The person probably is a there's a little manipulation there. Oh, yeah, I'm sure there's people that, you know, don't pick up social graces, you know, and like me. Well, no. Yeah, you are one of them, you know, but there are others. You can tell me no. No, I'm not talking about you. There are other people. I'm just saying as an example that you'll kind of politely say no to, and then they try again. And then you kind of politely say no, and then it gets to a point where it's like, okay, you have to lay it out for them, and then you do look like a monster. You do feel bad, and you make them feel bad. I did it yesterday. Really? Told the person. Nope. For them, probably. To begin with, it was. But I'll tell you, I believe that... That person is, I believe that person will thank me. I believe that person will thank me. It's hard. It's just hard, dude. And, you know, I love to be asked to do stuff because I'd literally say eight out of ten things that I get asked to do, I'm all the way in on. Yeah, me too. You know, I'm really, and I do them. And a lot of times you have to psych yourself. It's not about not.
spending time with that person. It's about like just wanting to rest. Yeah. Being exhausted. We all like being home. Oh my God, I love being home. And once you go, you're like, oh, this is a great time. So don't not ask me to do stuff. Yeah. Oh, but if you're tired, it's okay to say you're tired. Yeah, but sometimes you just have to muster up. Like you can't be a hermit all the time. It's true. You need to maintain friendship. As long as you're okay with that. As long as you're okay with doing it. But if you want any friends, you have to maintain them. You can't just take them for granted. Some people are... okay with not having a large group of friends. Yeah, but if you want any friends, you have to spend time with them. Some people, their friend is Rebecca, and they're, you know, and they're, and Lukey, and Jake, you know, they're all right. Bye, gorgeous. Good job. 570-1949. Or text at 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up in just a couple. FM 94.9. I haven't listened to the whole record, but I got a nod over there from a fan. Sounds good. M1, Samantha from Oceanside. Hi, how's it going today? Good. I just wanted to call in and thank you guys. I know on Tuesday you guys had read the story about Devin Allen and the letter that his dad wrote. Yeah, yep. Today would have been his birthday. And we really appreciate what you guys are doing and just getting the message out there because, you know, he was really important to a lot of people.
Tonight we're going to be having another fundraiser as well as tomorrow for him to raise money for his daughter and his family. But we really appreciate you guys just letting everybody know that we're trying to find anybody that knows anything else about what's going on. Are you a friend or family? I'm actually a really good friend of his. Okay. And so, you know, we really miss him, and we had a really good turnout on Wednesday night, and we're hoping to just have everybody come out and just support his friends and family. over the weekend for the three events that they have going on this weekend. Absolutely terrible what happened, and I'm so, so sorry for your loss. Yeah, well, we appreciate, you know, everybody was like, somebody's got to call in and tell them thank you, and I just wanted to make sure that you guys heard from us personally, the people that are close to him, that we really appreciate you guys taking the time out and putting his story out there and letting everybody know. Thank you. You're welcome. You guys have a good day. All right. We'll keep listening to you. Thanks a lot. All right. Bye. Thank you. Sad, dude. It is sad. And I'm glad she got that information out there. Yep. Tonight is going to be a really cool night for the Mikey show because tonight we are finally.
Doing the dinner that we've been wanting to do for a long time. From all the way back. Yeah. From all the way back. Yeah. Why don't you stop? Just stop. She doesn't show up tonight. I know. Hey, for fools. Hey, for fools, y'all. I went to Jasper's play. Yeah. Isn't that funny? You're a fool. Get it, man. You're a fool. Yeah. You know, during the Mike-y-thon, a guy bid. On dinner at my place tonight. And so it was dinner for four. So he had planned on bringing somebody that he's not going to be bringing. And he asked if Jamie Woods' wife could join. It was very sweet. I was really touched when he asked. Happy birthday, babe.
Kid's not allowed to go anywhere by himself, I guess. Smart. The rocks on this man. You know what I mean? As she's home moving. Yeah. And I'm here goofing around. Yeah. She's like, maybe I just slit your throat. Yeah. She doesn't have to go either. She's going to support you. She is very nice that that guy thought of her and invited her, I thought. Very nice. Anybody have anything going on this weekend that they want to promote or talk about? No? I'll talk about EBW's gig next week. Yeah, what is it? It's on April 6th, which is Wednesday night at the Belly Up, and it's free. You do her promo now? Well, she's locked out of the building. She's got some issues. She's not allowed in for the week. She's locked out of the building. Wasn't she going to be taking, like, she asked for a few weeks off? She did. She asked for some time off from Garrett. I guess she had to recover or something like that. I think she's writing a bunch of stuff right now. There you go. She said, Banging on Hell's Gate. Oh, wow. It sounds like a ripoff of knocking on heaven's door. I'll be trying to lead my Little League team to an eighth consecutive loss on Sunday. Oh, wow. So I'm really excited about that. That's uplifting. Can't wait. And I am speaking tomorrow night, actually. I'll be speaking at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. It's in Chula Vista. And it's tomorrow night, 8.30.
And love to have people come out and hear me give my testimony. Also want to invite people to check out my podcast, a Christian podcast. And it is called VOM. So if you go to iTunes and you just search VOM, you can find it there. And again, it's a Christian podcast. And so I put that out there right away. so that people know before they ever go there. I say that anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. And if you're angry, all you have to do is, next time you're angry or think about the last time you were angry, ask yourself, well, which one am I? Sometimes I give that as a caveat before I give you my testimony because it will elicit some of those feelings at times. Sometimes it makes people sad. Or scared. But I love you. And that's why I tell you my story. And telling you my story isn't the easiest thing. It's embarrassing. When I was five, I was sexually abused. And it's embarrassing as a 40-year-old man to tell you that. Every single time. I started telling people in 1996. Or in 2006, excuse me. And it's never been easy to do it. Every morning.
On a Friday morning, there's a small feeling of dread because I know that I got to tell my story. And there's a small feeling of, are the words going to come? Am I going to be really embarrassed when I say it? It developed shame in me. I had a lot of shame. I had hurt and sadness and fear. I was an angry person. When I was in my 20s, I drank a lot. did drugs, and never wanted anybody to know who I really was. Who I really was was a sensitive introvert that was really, really capable of having my feelings hurt. But I didn't want to tell people that. I want to tell people that because I thought if anybody knew it, they'd hurt me. So I didn't tell anybody about it. If you've ever experienced loneliness, like extreme loneliness, then I...
then maybe this message is for you. If you've ever experienced desperation where you feel desperate, if you've ever experienced hopelessness where you think, I don't have anything left to live for and I don't have anything to look forward to, you do. If you've ever been in a place in your life where you think to yourself, doesn't matter what I do, I'm so dirty and I'm so rotten and I'm so filthy, it doesn't matter anyway. That's not true. Because I used to feel that way about myself. In 2003, laying in my bed with tears streaming down the side of my face, I gave my life to Jesus Christ. And I said, I can't do it anymore. I've been trying it my way and it doesn't work. And as a result, he came into my life and he changed my life. Maybe you're listening right now and you can think to yourself, I've tried it my way and it hasn't worked. So maybe I'll try this.
Jesus doesn't have a website, but the church that I go to does. It's the coolest church I've ever been to. It's called North Coast Church in Vista. I only tell you because some people are looking for it. Somebody's listening right now that you've been waiting for me to say it. Somebody's listening right now that desperately, desperately, desperately wants to die. And I want to tell you I did too. And Jesus changed everything in my life. I wanted to die. I wanted to be dead. I would have rather been dead than live the existence that I was living. And nobody knew. Nobody knew I felt that way. Every day I would go on the air and I'd put on a radio show and everybody on the outside thought that everything was cool. And on the inside, I was broken. Completely desperate, hopeless, broken, and just felt worthless. And he changed everything in my life. If you need help with addiction,
depression, if you need help with eating disorders, just go to Mikey show.com and click on the word help in the upper part of the website and take you to all kinds of resources for that. At the end of the show, I play a song that the words are inspirational and will mean something to you. And I want you to listen to this song and I want you to, to hear every word of this song. And I want you to apply it to you if you're desperate or if you're lonely or if you feel like you need something. I love you. Have a great weekend. And we will come back here on Monday and do it all over again. Mikey shows up.
