Mikey, Sienna, Woodsy, Lauren O'Brien and Jay moved between serious stories about Fukushima's radioactive water, Southwest's cracked planes and a deadly Apple Store robbery, then turned each into pointed studio debate. They dissected Lindsay Lohan's Betty Ford 911 call and Charlie Sheen's disastrous Detroit show, with Mikey drawing on his own rehab experience and the crew blaming Sheen's audience for expecting more than recycled catchphrases. Lauren defeated Jay in their BB-gun, push-up, Shake Weight and running challenge, while Woodsy was mocked for wearing stained casual clothes to listener Mark's charity dinner. Mikey also aired his old country-radio and Howard Stern tapes, and the group had memorable arguments about Tommy Bahama, Gary's bare feet in a public restroom and flushing leftover food down the toilet.
What happened, in order
Tommy Bahama exposed
Mikey's wife revealed that the supposed Tommy Bahama skeptic had repeatedly eaten at the brand's Maui restaurant, prompting a sustained roast from the crew.
Fukushima water crisis
Sienna reported plans to release radioactive water from Fukushima, while Mikey argued that dumping contamination into the ocean was intolerable and kept proposing duct tape or welding for the leak.
Hole in the plane
The crew covered Southwest grounding planes after a five-foot fuselage rupture and imagined the absurd conversation a passenger would have with a flight attendant beneath the open roof.
Lohan's Betty Ford call
They played the 911 call from Lindsay Lohan's altercation with Betty Ford staffer Dawn Holland, with Mikey using his own time at the center to explain why the conduct was so disruptive.
Underdressed for charity
Mikey, Sienna, Lauren and Jay roasted Woodsy for arriving at listener Mark's expensive Children's Hospital benefit dinner in stained shorts, flip-flops and a V-neck while everyone else dressed up.
Charlie Sheen bombs
The show played furious reactions from Charlie Sheen's Detroit tour debut and argued that anyone paying hundreds to hear his familiar winning-and-warlock routine should have known what to expect.
Soap-drinking robbery
Sienna described a Winchell's robber who forced an employee to drink dish soap in the mistaken belief that it would erase the witness's memory.
Battle of the sexes
Lauren O'Brien beat Jay in a chaotic physical challenge involving a BB gun, push-ups, a Shake Weight and a final hallway race in which she received a short head start.
Mikey's radio archives
Mikey played tapes of his earnest 1993 country-radio persona before revisiting old San Diego prank calls and the marijuana-arrest hoax that got him onto Howard Stern's show.
Barefoot bathroom
Caller Gary defended walking barefoot through an AM/PM restroom, while the hosts argued over germs, urine, marijuana and whether dirty pavement somehow cleans feet.
Apple Store shootout
The show cut to breaking coverage of an armed Otay Ranch Apple Store robbery that left the getaway driver dead, two suspects captured and several nearby schools temporarily locked down.
Flushing the leftovers
Mikey and Woodsy defended flushing bedroom leftovers down the toilet to avoid walking downstairs, while Sienna and Lauren called the habit filthy, lazy and dangerous for the plumbing.

Welcome, everybody. Monday morning, ready to rock and roll. It's the Mikey Show, and man, do we have big plans, things to unfurl and tell you all about. We also have open phone lines for you right now, which is something that we do at the beginning of the show and the end of the show. 570-1949. And text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. We make it very easy for you to get a hold of us. There is five of us on the Mikey Show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the program. And I'm 40 years of age. Woodsy is our sports guy. He's 35. Big Yankee fan. Happy about their wins this weekend. Yes, sir. Lauren O'Brien is a comedian and also our assistant producer. We call her L.O.B. And she is 30 years of age. 26-year-old Sienna.
Ladies and gentlemen. There it is. It's all downhill from here. True statement. She is 26 years of age. She's got the sexiest, smoothest pipes in the biz, and she's our news girl. Jay is our producer. He's 47 years old. He's wearing a cool t-shirt that I don't know what it is. Dragon. Some kind of dragon on it. Tried my dragon shirt on yesterday, as a matter of fact, and it did not fit. It didn't? It was skin tight. What size? It's a large. Super large. I think mine's a large, and it was like wearing a Baby Gap t-shirt. It looks like it's a small large, though. They are, but still. It's even tight on Jack. When I started here, it fit. A large? It's a large. It fit, and it fit okay. Yeah, it did. I put it on. I was like, we've worn large since the second grade. I was like, maybe because of the dryer? No, it wasn't the dryer. All right. No. By the dryer, you mean the donuts. Yeah. Our phone screener is Chris. It's crap. It's crap. So phone lines are starting to light up, and we'd love to hear from you. We're going to be talking about the Final Four being over, and now we got the championship game tonight. We're going to talk about it. We're going to talk about the latest with Japan, which, oh, boy, it's scary. Yeah. What's going on with Southwest Airlines?
Call me if you know about Windows 8 because we're going to talk about it. It's a big deal. It's coming out. It's an all-to-do. I'm a Mac person, so I don't know anything about what Windows 8 does or any of that. My guess is that it's mimicking something that Mac does. That's very presumptuous. It is, but I'll stand by it. My guess is that they're... they've seen some good ideas that Mac came up with and they're like, oh, let's do that. We'll just make it a little different. But we'll see. I could be totally wrong. Maybe they're innovating. Maybe they're going to do something that Mac hasn't thought of. Are they? And then Mac will do it better. What? Yeah. M1 Oscar from Chula Vista. Hi. Morning. Good morning. Good morning. How are you guys? Good. Good. Hey, I just wanted to say happy birthday to Sienna. Aw. Thank you. Yesterday was her birthday. Thank you. You're welcome. I got so many nice messages. That's sweet. M1's the best. Yeah, I was there Friday morning. Nice. With you guys. Yeah. Very nice. Thanks for coming in. Thank you. We love you, Oscar. Thank you. All right. M1 Surf Daddy from Encinitas. What's up? Hey, guys. I just hope you guys all had a good weekend. And I wanted to wish you a happy birthday. Thank you.
Another wonderful week on the radio. You guys pair it up. I love you guys so much. Thank you, bro. We love you. Love you. Today's my mom's birthday. Yay. Yay. She's 71 and, yeah, got married to my dad when she was 17. Oh, my gosh. I know it. 17 years old. They've been together that long. Wow. They've been together probably four times longer than they weren't. Four times. They've been, you know, a couple. at least four times longer than they haven't been a couple. That's incredible. 570-194-9. Okay, so at 7.30, Jay and L.O.B. are going to have the male-female challenge. What this is, is anything you can do, I can do better. Can you? Yes, I can. Yes, I can. No, you can't. Yes, I can. No, you can. No, you can. So, yeah, they're going to square off against each other in three different challenges, right? Yes. And we will see who's better definitively for the rest of eternity, men or women. This will determine. This is it. The final task. This is the last one. At 8 o'clock this morning, you will be experiencing a little gold nugget that I found over the weekend. I was going through an old...
cabinet that we have and hadn't hadn't been in there didn't know what was in there and saw two boxes that said cassette tapes and i went oh really and i pulled them out and they were old tapes of me on the radio now all i've played so far of me on the radio from the past was when i used to work at the uh Dance top 40 type stations. But this is me doing country. I want to know where to go. I want to go. Give me the gold. You're going to get it. You'll get it. Oh, yeah. Sound like Jay. Let's see. I'll let you hear one second. One taste. One little taste. Just to just to wet your beak. I got more Reba coming up right after this on Double Play Thursday. Oh, my God. I got more Reba coming up after this. That's right. Get. Wow. Yeah. How about that? Twang. I got more Reba coming up after this. Now. Now. There's some twang in that. There is. You should be ashamed of yourself. I am. I am. It should be. I am. Oh, my gosh. I am. Oh, my gosh. Okay, so.
Final four is over. Yes. The championship is tonight. Tonight, my friend. Tonight at 6 p.m. at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. It will be on Channel 8 this evening. And it will be the UConn Husky against the Butler Bulldogs. Wow. Nobody would have guessed the Butler Bulldogs would be playing for that. Well, you know, dude, they lost in last year's title game on the last shot. Oh, they did? Yeah, so they're a strong team. They're a pretty strong team, but it's still a David and Goliath situation. UConn's still better, right? Yeah, I think UConn is going to take it. I am pulling for Butler because it's always nice to see somebody that's never won one. Win one. But, man, UConn's tough. I don't feel as bad now that San Diego State lost to UConn. Yeah. They made it all the way. Yeah, they made it all the way. And if they win it, it's like, oh, great, we lost the champion. Yeah, exactly. But, yeah, man, it was, you know, I did not get a chance to see any of the final four games because I was at an event. Don't have cable now anyway. You just moved. I haven't even seen highlights. You've been living in your new house two days. Yeah. And you don't have cable. You don't have. Tomorrow.
Internet. Right. I have no internet. You know how hard it is without cable or internet? But it's not bad because you've got your phone. You know, that takes the place, no? No, no. It doesn't take the place. I can check my email, and it doesn't take the place. Yeah. But it's okay. Yeah. It's like wanting a steak, and somebody gives you a piece of ham, like a little piece of Oscar Mayer ham. You're like, all right, I'll eat it. It's okay. We know that. Wow. That was early, right? Whoa. Yeah, I mean, just right out of the gate. Right out of the gate on the Monday. It's killing me! But, man, it should be a really good game tonight. The championship game is always, always tight. Everybody's game. Everybody is ready to rock. And it's really a good matchup. I have a feeling it's going to come down to three or four seconds left. Somebody has the ball. They make the shot. They win. It's going to be awesome. Won't get to see it. What do I do? Go to the bar. I'm not going to the bar. And there's nobody in your...
immediate area that has an unprotected internet signal that you can get wirelessly? Exactly. I'll be watching on my phone. Like, updates. Oh, boy. Perfect. Let's see. Oh, word of the day, by the way, is Poncho. Of course it is. Of course. Who are you pointing at? Today wasn't me. Who picked it? Sienna? Who do you think? Of course Woods did, right? It came right out of his mouth. Yes. Poncho. Poncho. What's wrong with just a normal word? Why does it have to always be some sort of... Because it's more fun that way. A normal word like taco or... It is a normal word for you. Poncho is. I'm trying to make it easy for you. I'm trying to pick words that you say all the time. Yeah. Well, I don't say that word all the time. Don't you? Well, not all the time, but a lot. A lot of the time. He just wears them. He doesn't really need them. Yeah, you don't really like walk in and say, hey, look at my poncho again. Right. Yeah, but you know what, you guys? I'm Mexican, and I don't speak a word of Spanish. What about that? But that's, you know, that's an English word now. It's been adopted. All right. What if Tommy Bahama made ponchos? Oh, Sienna, you just blew my mind. What if Tommy Bahama made ponchos? I bet they do. Well, the one that Mike has on right now. It's got to be Tommy Bahama, right? Or else you wouldn't wear it. That's Tommy Bahama. If Tommy Bahama made a poncho, I wouldn't know about it because I don't wear Tommy Bahama. Don't you? Can I pull the curtain back? Can I pull the curtain back? Yeah.
If Tommy Bahama had a restaurant, would you eat at it? You're such a jerk. What a, what a. If they did. If they did. I don't think that he does. Would you eat at it? Would you eat at it? Remember his chimes? If they had one. Is there or is there not a sign on this tree that says trust tree? No. You wouldn't eat at it like four times. Yeah. Right. You would never go back more than once. Especially if you're not a huge time Bahama fan. Who would go to the restaurant? Who even knows about the restaurant? I didn't even know there was a restaurant until this weekend when I found out that Mikey has eaten numerous times. Friday night, all of us had dinner at my house because we had M1 Mark over. He's the guy that bid on the dinner from Pamplemousse, which was incredible. Incredible. Oh my gosh. We all ate till we were like going to pop. I'm still full. Yeah, I know. And such a fun night. He was really nice. And he brought two friends that were really nice. And we just had a blast. And my wife gets one glass of Cabernet down and starts talking about how one how when we four times.
Hey, babe. I can't believe it's taken this long to come out. Tell them about when we ate at the Tommy Bahama restaurant in Maui. Ha! Ha! The needle skipped off the record at the dinner table. Excuse us! Yeah. I don't like the place. She does. Oh, sure. If you didn't like it, you wouldn't go back. I don't. You are a foodie snob. I don't like it. You love it. You know why we go? Because she has to have this cheese turd. Yep. It's a log of cheese that looks like a turd. And it's been rolled in macadamia nuts. And she likes it. And we gotta go and eat it. Pork. Poor you. Oh, it's like paradise. Yeah. You must feel really at home, though. Oh, yeah. Head to toe in Tommy Bahama with everybody else. Does Tommy come to the table? No. Hey, Mr. Sponsor. Hey, Tom. It's good to see you again. Every year, every year. You know Tommy. Just call me Mike. I don't wear Tommy Bahama. You do, Mike. You love it. Looks good on you. I'm not wearing it. You look good at the restaurant. It really brings out your eyes. Yeah. You look great at the restaurant.
You only have one shirt from there ever. And you've been to the restaurant multiple times. Yeah, and you wear that shirt every day. Sienna, what's happening in Japan? Really, you're going to bring us down now? Yeah. How dare you? Man, it's a mess over there. It's a mess. The Japanese government officials made an announcement yesterday that it will likely be several months. before the cooling systems at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant are completely restored, several months. And even after that, they're saying it's going to be years of work to just do the cleanup in the area around the complex and figure out what to do with it. There's also a story that... It came out this morning. The operator of Japan's nuclear plant said that they plan to dump thousands of tons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean as the government was accused of covering up the extent of the radiation levels. He said, quote, we have no choice but to release water tainted with radioactive materials into the ocean as a safety measure. How do you like that? Yeah. Well, they're dumping all this water into this radioactive tank.
To cool down those rods. And the tank has a leak. Yeah, they found the leak. An eight inch long crack was discovered over the weekend. We put duct tape. And I'm not kidding. I would have one Japanese guy hold a piece of duct tape while the other Japanese guy wraps around the container. Hundreds of times. But it's dumping in there. It's dumping in the water. Well, yeah. Okay. Well, they found this one crack in the maintenance pit and it was sending a stream of water into the ocean. So now workers have tried to seal the leak with concrete and then they're using other materials as well. But that failed, meaning they're likely targeting the wrong trench. Listen, I'm not an environmentalist. I don't jump up and down about the environment, even though I think I'm like everybody. Yeah, good environment. That's a good thing. But even though I'm not an environmentalist, doesn't it freak everybody out that we're pouring a bunch of doo-doo into the water? Killer doo-doo. Killer doo-doo, man. And like last year, this time, tons and tons and tons and tons of oil spilling into the Gulf. It's awful. It makes me go, I know the ocean is a big place. I get it. But you can't stick. I mean, listen.
Your swimming pool is a big place. But if you put some poison in it, it's going to mess you up. It just freaks me out. Imagine if that ocean had fish that you eat. Wait, it does. It does. Exactly. I mean, we're eating stuff out of there. It just is so freaking creepy that we're doing this. And by we, I mean the Japanese because they're a part of the world. It just is scary to me. Maybe we only use power that we can actually control. Yeah. I'm fine with that, man. I mean, I'm fine with that. Shut them all down before we make any more mistakes. Well, I feel weird about shutting them all down, too, because they're actually serving a purpose right now. I wouldn't be all right with shutting them down until we have something else. Yeah. But that's what we got right now, you know? But it's all dumping in the ocean like a big toilet. That's scary to me. And I get, what I don't get is how come a bunch of people aren't like, how come like president, how come the president of every country in the world isn't jumping up and down like they're with chickens with their heads cut off going, we can't do this. This is going to ruin everything. Because I think until they can propose an alternative. We don't have a choice. Yeah. I guess we have to. It's such a, just a reactive situation. No pun intended, but.
There's no plan in place, you know, if something like this happens. So he's like, well, let's just pray that that doesn't happen. What about duct tape? I'm not kidding. Tell me why duct tape wouldn't work. It's because it's going to go right through it. How would it go through it? Because it's radioactive. What if you put a bunch of it? It'll burn through it. It'll burn through it. Kevin Costner's going to fix it. He's going to fix it like he did BP. You've got to understand. It's not radioactive material that's spilling out of this thing. It's water. Right. That's got radioactive material in it. It's just water, though. It's going to eat right through it, pal. It'll eat through it? Yeah. It's just water. It's just tape, though. But what if you put a bunch of tape? No? They're not going to tape it. I just go to those tape and tile or cock guns and fill it full. Cock gun. Yeah. Why don't they weld it? Why don't they weld it? I'm just a person. That's all. I'm just a guy. I'm a 40-year-old Mexican talk show host, and I'm like, how come they don't weld it?
Well, today they're trying something new. They are using like a milky white dye to try to trace the water's path to find the source. Yeah. Use a milky white dye or something. You're a solutions guy. This is Uncle Victor for using milky white dye. Fix the leak. Fix it. Fix it. Yeah. How come you're pouring a bunch of stuff in there? Stop pouring it. It's going to get all the fish sick and everything. They're dying. Sushi. Yeah. I'm trying to eat a tuna sandwich over here. I'm trying to have a number four with chips. Carnegie Deli. And then you Japanese people, you're pouring a bunch of water in the ocean that affects my number four with salad. Sourdough bread. Sourdough is the best with it. What's the matter with you? Hey, why don't you put a piece of tape on it? There's duct tape over here. There's a duct tape on there. Oh, my God. I just don't understand it. Southwest is going to cancel about 100 flights. Yeah. Well, they've already canceled about 600 over the weekend because I don't know if you heard that on Friday, a Southwest flight was taken off from Phoenix and headed to Sacramento. Eighteen minutes into the flight, there was a hole discovered at the top of the plane. A five foot long, one foot wide opening, which caused the cabin to lose pressure.
And, I mean, there were calls in coming from the flight attendants. Like, they could see the sky through the roof. What? Through the roof. And, like, the cables and stuff. Yeah, I mean, it was a mess. So they had to turn back, go emergency land back in Phoenix. And now they're looking into more of these types of jets. Oh, gosh. And they found three more big, you know, sizable cracks have been found in three more Southwest Airline planes that were similar to that one that, you know, made them lose pressure. What does it matter with this world? I know. So about 600 flights in all were canceled over the weekend. Southwest grounded 79 of its planes. What, to look on there and go, well, if you have that problem, you might have this problem. Yeah. And so they're just, you know, trying to be safe, rather safe than sorry. About 40% of... of the outgoing Southwest flights in San Diego were canceled over the weekend. Now more than a dozen Southwest flights out of Limburg field are still delayed and passengers are still standing by from the weekend. So this is, you know, if you're flying Southwest today over the weekend, I mean, you're still waiting. So good luck. I mean, it's a mess. Listen, passengers, we're sorry, but we realized that one of our planes had a propensity.
To open up while in mid-flight. How scary. And by open up, what I mean is the roof of the aircraft flew off into the sky. Oh, my God. To land where it will, where it wilt. And what happened was the passengers inside, they could see outside. I can't imagine. I would lose my mind if I were on that flight. Flip out. What if you're on that flight? Yeah, if you're flying. And you can see the sun. You can see the sun. Birds flying by. I would just think it would be like, like you've seen in the movies where you're like, and the oxygen comes out of the cabin and you're just. You know what you do at that point is that you hit the little button for the stewardess. And she goes, you'd be her coming by. Yes. Can I help you? Yes. There's a hole. Where, where, where, where? I'm on... No, no, no, no. I just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing. The gaping hole?
Where the sky's coming through. Yeah, the gaping hole in the aircraft. Yeah, sir, we're aware. You do know? I'm on the phone with ground control right now. Our arms are burning. Yeah. Like there's a hole. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're getting suntan. And the other thing is my eardrums exploded out of my ears. Yeah, I know. Sorry, what? I can't see you anymore because my eyes have now blown out of the socket. That's how I am. Can you get us a couple scotch and sodas ASAP, please? Free, free. I'm in the house. I'm going to smoke, by the way. I'll get you some vouchers for the next flight. And I'm going to smoke. Is it okay if he smokes? I'm going to smoke. You know what? Do whatever you got to do at this point. I don't think we're going to. I need some sort of like a wet nap. I have bird poo on my forehead. I can give you a hot towel. Oh, perfect. I have a question. Yes. Since there's a gaping hole in the roof and we're going 530 miles an hour, 30,000 feet. Right. Is it okay for me to pee? I have to pee and I know that they don't get up and pee signs. The seatbelt signs on, sir. So don't be ridiculous. Really? Don't be ridiculous. You're actually asking. You know the answer to that question. Fine. Just pee out the hole. Rules are rules. Just pee out the hole. Yes, that'll work. I have a question. Another question. Before you go. Okay. Is there any, is everything cool? I think the captain has it under control. Okay. Yeah. But I just wanted to make sure that we're okay, right?
You might want to see if your cell phone works up here. Oh, wow. Can you get us those scotch and sodas, though? I'll get you the vouchers for free. Vouchers for next time. I just want them now. Since there might not be next time. Yeah, there may not be next time. Seatbelt signs on. Okay, sorry about that. Should I put my seat all the way up? Calm down, sir. Just shut up. Can I wear my iPod? She's like, you need to turn that. Laptop off. Approved electronics only. There's a hole in the roof, so I think I'm good. There's a gaping hole in the roof. I'm going to listen to Deftones while we're going down. Does that change the rules? Kind of, because there's a gaping hole. I just saw Mary Poppins fly by on the roof. And your Deftones is going to interrupt the pilot's communication with ground control. Is it? Well, asked and answered. I would love for somebody that knows about Windows 8 to call us and tell us what the deal is because it's coming soon. I want to hear you all excited about it. Yeah, I mean, I don't know anything about it. I've used Mac for years. What I'm seeing is that web forums apparently lit up last week with the news that the PC manufacturers had just gotten their hands on a new Windows 8 test build. And they're doing these tests right now, but they're saying Windows 8 is coming and people...
Are excited. Just like you get excited for new Apple products. Well, if anybody knows anything about it, I'd love to hear it. I want to know what the big deal is and what the whoop is. Do you? Sure. Well, what I want to know is, you know. If it's even. If you're missing something. Yeah, I'm missing something. Maybe go back to PC. And I also want to know why they get so upset, the Windows people. Because when we talk about Mac, they get real upset. And I'm like, hey, you like your Windows? I like my Mac. No big whoop. They're defending themselves. Yeah, they're very defensive about it. So we have the audio of the 911 call made in December when Lindsay Lohan was accused of assaulting somebody at the Betty Ford Center. An employee. Yeah, as an employee. I kind of have an interesting take on it because I was at Betty Ford. And I listened to this 911 call. And I had to ask myself a couple of questions, and I'll explain what I mean because I know kind of the layout. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949 or text 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up on FM 94.9.

This morning at 7.30, we're going to do the male-female challenge between L.O.B. and Jay. All right. Now. These are the two most fit people on the Mikey show. You know, they're both very athletic and very active athletically. Barely, though. Barely. Barely? What do you mean? Woods is a close second he's trying to do. Yeah. Oh, God. Yeah, we all are. We're just nipping at their heels. I'm not. Maybe you are. No, I'm not. I am not. Heavier than I've ever been. Yes. Not me, sadly enough. As heavy as I am.
It's not the heaviest I've been. Well, that's something to look forward to. Yeah, gastric bypass surgery. I weighed 324 pounds. The doctor that was performing the surgery was Dr. Meyerowitz. And he said to me, Michael, I need you to lose 20 pounds before the surgery. And I thought, if I could lose 20 pounds. Yeah. Why am I here? I mean, if I had the mental wherewithal. Yeah. To drop 20? Yeah. Why would I be in your office? We wouldn't be in this situation. So I gained five pounds, you know, when I came. And he was angry. He was angry and he let me know it. I told you that you were supposed to lucid. And here you are, five pounds heavy. I am considering not doing the surgery. Are you? Yeah. He told me that. That's scary. He's like, I got my debit card, pal. Here, let's make it right.
This was back in the days where they put, instead of, you know, now when they close you up, it's the coolest thing when they close up a big surgery now. They use super glue. They use a medical super glue. Which is, no, dude, that's really cool. Yeah. Not stitches? No. Less scarring. Less scarring. Less invasive. Yeah, and it doesn't look very bad. I mean, they just use a super glue. Don't have to go back and get it taken out. No. And that's the thing. Back in the day when I did it, Woodsy, They had to suture me. And then, because the wound was so big, then they used staples. They put staples in there. They tried to kill me. Now, let me tell you. The surgery was fine. No issues with the surgery. I'll tell you what hurt. Taking those staples out. And you know what he used? And I'm not kidding you. Needle, nose, pliers. Oh, God bless. He used needle, nose, pliers. They didn't give you painkillers? No. And he was, I'm convinced of it, that he.
was sadistic and that he enjoyed taking those things out because he yanked them out. Okay, okay, that's enough. Was it the word yank that took you over there? Makes Woods his butt hurt. He does this thing where you say stuff and he experiences the pain in his head. His butt hurts. It's the weirdest phenomenon. I kind of know what he means though. It's like it's ouch, ouch. It hurts down there. It clenches so much that it hurts. And then I'm going to play you me on the radio when I used to do country. We're trying to adjust the sound. Tell us if you're hearing it just out of one channel. I am, but I wonder if listeners are too. I've made fun of the video. I've made fun of Reba. Do your thing, Jay. Jay's going to start messing with it. Ah, there you did something. What exactly? No, you did something and then you'd stop. There it is. There. No. No. Wait. What'd you do, Jay? It was good. Keep messing. Because there's no way for us to do this off the air. We have to do it this way. This is Mikey. Back in the day. Back in the day. Country DJ. I got some great stuff coming up for you. Sounds different.
Jay, whatever you did the first time worked. Pull it out and then put it back. Getting it in both ears, but it's just fuzz in the right ear. Is there... Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's going to try it over here. Sorry about this, everybody, but we have to do this because we can't do it off the air. And our engineers are all out of town. You know, you just don't come in contact with them very often, these people. There you go. You should just play it. And like a real man, I stood up straight and tall. Jay's got, Jay's going to do something. He's the old man that does produce them. He's the old man that messes with radio. Most guys, you said, Mike, most guys would probably say, at least look up, say hello, say something. Oh, yeah. You have the strength, the willpower, the stamina, the chutzpah to be able to just walk on by. Oh, you're right. Now, maybe, though, we can, if we can get an engineer. There's an engineer, one engineer on duty today, right? If we have one engineer on duty, all we got to do is figure out how to mono this out. And then we'll be mono-y mono. Huh. He just blew on the tape.
He just blew on the tape. He blew on it. Like when you played Nintendo and your thing would... Hey! Jeremy! Jeremy! Can we mono out over here? Can we somehow make that like mono it out? Well, I think we're good because he blew on the tape. So I think we're fine. He blew the dust right off there. Blowing on there helped. That's... Billy Ray Cyrus. You did country too, Sienna, didn't you? Yeah. Was it awesome? Did you change your voice? No. You didn't? Same voice. All right, Sienna, here's the new one from Reba. I would throw in like a y'all every now and then. Oh, wow. It was fun. I wish I could say y'all every day. Okay. Do what you're not supposed to do on the air? Yes. This just sounds good. It actually does. Do I have a Y? It's compelling. I loved hearing behind the scenes. That's what you're hearing. We're pulling the curtain back real good for you. I don't think so. Just give me a coconut. Coconut and a rubber. I'm on out. No, we need you to work on this now, Jay. While we're doing it, let's do Lindsay Lohan's call. No? It was going back and forth between ear to ear there for a minute. Yeah, how'd you do that?
You scientist? You mad scientist? Hmm. I don't get engineering. Nope. You're good, though. Nor do I. I don't. I get just enough of it. All right. Well, while he's thinking about it because he's over there messing with some stuff, I will give you this. All right. 9-1-1 call back in December. Lindsay Lohan. Yeah, Lindsay Lohan was at the Betty Ford Center, and she got into a little altercation with a staffer there named Dawn Holland. And this happened in December, and Lindsay and two friends got in trouble from Dawn for sneaking back into the facility after curfew. Weird. Well, that's stupid. You know who doesn't get in trouble for that? Yeah. Dawn claimed the girls, quote, reeked of alcohol, but they refused to take breathalyzer tests. And so this is a 911 call. Here we go. Sheriff's department, we got a 911 call from there? Don't go with her. Thank you. Hello? What's going on there? Hello? I'm sorry. I'm really uncomfortable with the woman that's in our house. I've never seen her before. She's freaking me out. Okay, what's the address there? That's Lindsay, right? That's Lindsay, yeah. She's a check on Daisy Lane. Did she say Daisy Lane? Yeah. Yeah, a check on Daisy Lane.
Yeah, they're called techs. They're called the person that's in charge of the dorm. There's four dorms at Betty Ford. And there's two guy dorms, two girl dorms. And the person that's in charge, they work an eight-hour shift. The person that's in charge is called the tech. Are you allowed off the premises? Depends on what you're there for, I think. Yeah, well, it depends on... If you have special permission to leave there and if you're trusted to leave there and if you, you know, it's that kind of deal. Yeah. But you do have a curfew. What's weird to me is the whole, see, this is what you got to know about Betty Ford. And this was, I was going to tell you, that's kind of a unique perspective because I was there, is that there are phones that you can use. But you can only use them during certain times. And so I'm wondering, like, what phone she was using to do this. She may have been using the text phone. And if she was using the text phone, that means she went behind the counter, which is a flip-out move. It was the text phone. It was? Yeah. That's a flip-out move. It says that Lohan allegedly ripped the phone from Dawn's hand. Oh, boy. Oh, I'm sorry. Hello? Her name is...
Officer, I am definitely willing to speak with you as long as... That's Dawn. That's the tech. She gets off the phone so that we can talk. Let me just tell you this. If that... Because, I mean, I know the way, like, the atmosphere, the attitude, all that there. If something like that happened, the person that did that, they would be kicked out immediately. Absolutely. That night. I remember, like, they would be gone. I saw people get kicked out for less than that. Get ready to be sued, she said, the tech said. And Lindsay goes, so it's about money?
You are different. I'm told JLC was having to be Johanna right now. I'm done with her. She hit me with the phone. She called the sheriff. I'm trying to talk to the sheriff. He has to speak to me. And I said, I'm willing to do so. As long as she stops barking in the middle of our conversation, she tried to snatch the phone for me, hit me with the other phone that she had. And then here she puts me in front of Kelly, in front of Catherine. I'm done with her. I'm going to Johanna. Oh, wow. That's crazy. You know the worst thing about coming back if you smell like booze is that what you do to everybody else here, you flip them out. Yeah. Because I was in there for booze. If I smell booze on somebody's breath, when I was in there, I'd have flipped out. You want booze? Yeah. You can't even take cologne in there. Really? No, it's got alcohol in it. Can't have anything with alcohol. And they check it, you know, make sure. Mouthwash?
No. Cost syrup? No. No. Scotch. Scotch is okay. Scotch is fine. Okay. Scotch, oddly enough, is just fine. That's fine. Which is wild, yeah. Gin. Gin. You would think that would not be allowed. Yeah. Can we pull the curtain back? Yeah. Yeah, let's pull the curtain back. Friday night, as I said, we had dinner at my place. A guy named Mark, during the Mikey-thon, he donated a lot of money. And won dinner at my house with all of us here on the Mikey Show. And Jeffrey, the owner of Pample Moose Restaurant, the greatest food that's ever touched your lips. It's so, so good. He came to the house and, you know, personally cooked. Lobster risotto. Oh, my gosh. That was so good. Unbelievably great. Now, this guy.
You know, he spent a lot of money and it all went to Children's Hospital. Woods was the first to arrive. Now, I'm, you know, getting ready for this thing. I'm putting on the fresh duds. I'm getting all scrubbed up. Sienna shows up looking gorgeous. L.O.B. shows up looking gorgeous. Jay, let me tell you something about Jay. That dude cleans up. He looked really nice. He does, man. That guy puts on a sharp pair of jeans and a nice button-down shirt, and I go, that's a good-looking guy, man. Sharp dude. He is. Woods showed up wearing an old... I'm so surprised by this. Yeah, me too. Like, so surprised. An old, dirty pair of shorts. No. Flip-flops. That's true. A white T-shirt. V-neck. V-neck. And it had stains on it. I think there was like grease stains. Grease stains. Holes. Show up for a nice dinner. First of all, there were no holes. It was a Banana Republic V-neck. And the shorts were fresh. Ish. They were? Ish. How did Jamie let you leave the house like that?
I have an easy explanation. If you monsters would listen. Yeah, I would like to know the explanation since you knew about this for, I don't know, seven months. We were moving that day. Did you just find out about it that day? No, but I didn't lay out a night's worth of clothes to go to your home. and have dinner at your house. For a listener. Right. I didn't know that I was... Catered. Catered. I didn't know I had to wear a tuxedo to your home. Oh, no one did. No one did. Just pants would have been nice. Pants. They were packed. Maybe a nice shirt. Maybe a pair of socks. They were packed. Oh, my gosh. It was all packed. Why? Everything was packed. Why? Because I had packers and movers. I know, but why wouldn't you... take a pair of socks. Why would I wear socks with flip-flops? I saw Woods. The first thing I said, I was like, oh, nice of you to dress up. Yeah, very nice. I couldn't hold it in. And I had said to Sienna, he's not very dressed up. Very nice, ladies. Very nice. Sorry, I was moving all day. It was very nice of you to dress up for our special listeners. Yeah, all day. Especially since you wear, like, cowboy boots to the studio, you would think, you know. I wore exactly what I wear to work. I wanted them to have me in my work mode.
I wanted them to have the real Woodsy there. I'm not trying to fake these guys out. Excuse me, the real Woodsy loves dressing up. Not anymore. The real Woodsy may be dressed more appropriately today than he was Friday night. I almost wore a hat. Cleaner clothes. He's wearing cleaner clothes right now. What had happened was, with my shirt, why I had stains on it? Yeah. I was across the street at our friend's Dom and Amy's, and I was playing with their kids, Luca and Gianna. Uh-huh. And got dirty playing. I was playing with them. Oh. And so I had a couple stains that I didn't even see until you guys pointed them out. Then how do you know that's where you got them? As usual. Because that's what I'm assuming, because it was a clean shirt. But it had to be from me playing with the kids. Oh. Well, maybe you don't. You're going to play with them if you're going to get all dirty or something. It was all right. Were you guys playing in like... Mud pit. Mud pit. Were you guys playing in the engine of a car? It helped me change the oil on my car. Why don't you guys all suck it? I saw Woods and I went, uh-oh. Oh, wow.
he's dressed down a little bit. He decided he's dressed down a little bit. Yeah, I want him to get the real me. I'm not trying to throw curveballs by anybody. You're not trying to be a phony out there, man. This is going over the real Woods. I want you guys to experience Woods as Woods is. I might have had a dip of stuff in, too, at one point. It's not the real Woods, though. That is the real Woods. You're Mr. like, oh, get a fresh new pearl snap. No, see, I'm out now. I'm casual now. That's my new bit. That's right. If Woods goes, can I borrow a shirt? Yeah. I thought he was going to get changed because he got there first. So I was like, oh, he probably still hasn't showered yet. You're like, oh, he must have gotten a new job working for an air conditioning company. I was moving. All my stuff was packed. I was exhausted. Yeah, you should have had something prepared. He must have gone on a hike before this. You know what I was thinking about? I was thinking about how I'm going to pay for this. Where's this stuff going to go? I was preoccupied. I was so preoccupied with moving, I forgot Sienna's birthday yesterday. I will say it. I'm a monster. I'm the only one that didn't text her. Yeah. Thanks for that. Because I don't have... Yeah, it is true. I don't have internet, so I didn't get my Facebook reminder. I was very aware of it, too. You need a reminder from Facebook for my birthday? Yes. Please. I need a reminder from Facebook for my wife's birthday. I need that reminder, and I don't have it. No. I didn't have it. It doesn't show me birthdays. I was so apologetic, and I even...
texted her this morning. I'm fine. You were sitting across from him when you texted her. He said, oh my gosh, I forgot. I'll text you right now. So I did. I wanted to make sure that she got it. A little too late. No, it's not too late. It's all good. Thanks anyway. It's all good. You're tornadic. I'm not tornadic. I didn't do anything. I was moving. All weekend? Yes, all weekend. You're unpacking now. Unpacking. Yeah. Moving and unpacking. The worst. Hey, I know that you spent time with Trevor Hoffman on Saturday night. I did. Did you wear shorts and a dirty t-shirt? No, I wore a tuxedo. You wore a tuxedo? Yeah, I wore a tuxedo. I rented a tuxedo and wore it. Wow. Well, wait a minute. That would mean that you would have had to have planned ahead for that. Right, but I went and picked up my tuxedo on Saturday. What about the shoes and socks and underwear and all that stuff? They give you the shoes. They give you the shoes. Underwear? I had clean underwear and I had clean shorts on that night, you deez. You were able to take a shower? Yeah, I showered before I came to Mikey's. You did? Yes. Untrue story. No, BS, I did. That's loosely based on a true story, but mostly- If I showered, you would jump in a pool. No, I showered. I showered. Ask my wife. You showered the morning before work. No, I showered before Mikey's. I even styled my hair. I do believe that at one point in your life, you've showered. Yes, before that night. I hate all of you. I've never seen- You always look real sharp. I was in shorts and a v-neck. Talk about dressing up. Talk about-
cleaning up good. The kid cleans up real good. He does. I was in shorts and a v-neck. That's why we're giving you a hard time. It was at your house. If it was at Pam La Luce, it would have been different. It was the same thing. It's not the same thing. We're not out in public. If Jay walked in wearing what you were wearing, none of us would have flinched. The three girls were all in heels and dresses. Oh, yeah. If Jay had shown up and you had worn what you usually wear. Oh, yes. You mean shorts and a v-neck every day? Nice. pair of DJs. DJs. Designer jeans. Couldn't find them. If he had walked in wearing flip flops. Wouldn't have said a word. Not one word would have been said. He's come from the beach, pal? Not one word. I would have said, hey, it's good to see my friend. Hey, guess who's on the line? M1 Mark, the guy that Actually got the dinner. Are you there, Mark? What's up, guys? How you doing? Good, and you? I'm good. I'm good. You know, listen. We apologize for... For Woods. Lack of manners. You guys ripping on Woods. Who is the one that put the food on the shirt? Mikey? Yes! At least I know how to eat. That was an accident. It's different between an accident. That was an accident. I was moving all day. Maybe a client ahead. Mike spilled on his shirt. I did. Two minutes into it. Uh-huh. Big glop. Right on my shirt.
Yeah, the nice thing at the end of the night, when Woods is full, lifts up the shirt, shows the belly, like, look. You know that. Yes. Everyone sees that thing. That's what happens every day in the studio. So yeah, I wanted him to get the full experience, and he did. He did. Mark, were you upset? When you saw me, were you like, oh, wow, he didn't dress up at all? I saw the wife beater shirt. I'm like, really? Not wife beater, the V-neck. And you couldn't see it because he was covering it with a shirt that he borrowed. He goes, can you borrow a shirt? I'm keeping, by the way. I love it. Might have worn it the next day. Oh, wow. You couldn't see it because it was underneath all those grease stains. So you thought, like, oh. I have a question, Woodsy. Is that a black shirt you're wearing? Can I have that shirt, by the way? I love it. At any point, did you go... Yes. You did? Yeah, dude. I knew. I knew. I was going to catch some grief. Yeah, I knew it. But at this point, it was like... I was knee-deep in boxes and moving, and I go, babe, I got to go. I got to hit the shower. So I hit the shower. I styled my hair even. I was literally going to throw my hat on because I was so frazzled. I'd been up since 3.30 and moved all day, just shelled out an ungodly amount of money. I was like, all right. I go, babe, do I have any clean T-shirts? She's like, you're going to have to find something. So I'm like.
scrounging around looking, found it, put it in the dryer with shorts. That's like somebody gains. Put it in the dryer. That's like somebody gains 10 pounds and you go, you gain 10 pounds and they're like, you don't understand. I've been eating Big Macs. It's not really the same. It is because you go, why did you? Moving is the worst. It is the worst. Agreed. So I couldn't find anything. Still can't find anything. All right. Mark, you were a great guest. Oh my gosh, the best. That was so fun. That was fun. I appreciate it. And I hope that next time when you go to the auction that more people do bid on it because it really was a really special night for a really special cause. Yeah. And I'll wear a tuxedo next year, just FYI. Nice. Thank you, Woods. Hold on, tuxedo. You're the best. You're the best, Mark. Thank you, bro. Thank you. Thanks. We appreciate you. That's sweet. Charlie Sheen started the tour. You know how he's touring? Oh, yeah. Yeah. And Fox 2 in Detroit. Detroit! They were talking to people as they were coming out. And... They were furious. No. Wait till you hear, by the way, how much it costs to go. Wow. That's next. On FM 94.9. Kawasaki's Ticket to Ride demo event is rolling into town. For instance, when your best friend asks you if you think his fiancée is pretty, you may not want to say she bears a striking resemblance to your Uncle Gary.
And if your mailman Jim asks, how are you today, sir? There's no need to tell him you've been busy passing a kidney stone for the past six hours. Just say, doing good, Jim. And if your aunt asks you if you can attend her one-woman four-hour performance art show entitled For the Love of Sheila, You might want to say you already had plans. However, at CarMax, when a customer asks us to appraise their car, we know we have to be as straightforward and honest as possible. Just bring your car in. Charlie Sheen started his ridiculously stupid tour this weekend in Detroit. Detroit! Detroit! And people were not happy as they came out. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Well, this month is the state's first distracted driving awareness month. So California Highway Patrol and more than 225 local police agencies across California are increasing patrols, targeting drivers using cell phones and ticketing. All of those caught in the act. So look out. Don't be talking on your cell phone. They are really trying to get you, especially this month. That's convicting to me. Yeah. Because I do it. Maddie just got one. She did. She was sitting at a stoplight, just sitting there, and her phone, whatever, she looked at it, and the guy pulled up right next to her on a motorcycle and gave her a ticket. Oh, my God. All she did was look at it. Happy birthday, officer. Yeah, it says that the base fine for breaking the law is $20, but when fees and everything else is added in, it's way more. A second offense for drivers is $200 to $250.
This is just for talking on your phone. Mine was $165 the first time. That's what they're saying with all the fees and everything. It adds up to about that. Also, on Friday, the San Diego Zoo showed off, unveiled their new entrance. They've remodeled the front plaza. Also, this month, the zoo is doing something called Play Days, where for 23 more days, visitors can experience the animals differently. You can go and feed the giraffes yourself and watch elephants get manicured. Doing cool stuff, and that's going on this month. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, tonight is the final game in men's college basketball. It is the Butler Bulldogs against the UConn Huskies. It is at 6 p.m. It'll be on Channel 8. And, man, it is going to be a really good game. Here is UConn guard Kemba Walker talking about how they've been successful. Cut one. These guys, listen, that's why we've been so successful this whole year. They always come to practice, you know, ready to go hard and, you know, always come, you know, with their ears wide open and, you know, taking in new things every day. Yeah, I love it. And tomorrow is the San Diego Padres' home opener. Now, they took two of three from the Cardinals in St. Louis, which, man, I think they've won.
10 games in 10 years in St. Louis. And they played really, really well. So tomorrow will be the Giants are in town, the world champion Giants. Madison Baumgartner will be taking on Aaron Harang. And that game is at 335 at Petco Park. Charlie Sheen got his tour started this weekend. All right. He had made an announcement that he was going to tour. Now, a lot of you may wonder, well, what will he do? He'll do the same thing that he does on his... Ustream? Is that what it's called? He'll just sit there in front of the, you know, what he does on the Ustream. He sits in front of a camera and he talks. Nonsense. Winner, winner, Sheen dinner. Yes. That stuff. Hello. So instead of doing it from his home, he's just going to do it in front of people. So here's the reaction from Fox 2 in Detroit. Detroit. As people were walking out. The guy who opened for him was absolutely horrible. He got booed off the stage. Charlie Sheen, thinking he was the president of Warlocks, babbling on and on until I wanted to throw up in my seat. That's terrible. What exactly? Did you think Two and a Half Men was going to happen in front of you, sir? I think people initially were like, oh, yeah, we've got to see him before he flames out. We have to see this. We have to. I can't imagine what they... It was a great show. He did all his...
You know, all our favorites. He walked out and said, winning, duh. Making the hotties here. There were 5,000 people in the crowd. I can tell you some of the things he did. Well, let's get the rest of the reaction. I sat around for an hour, didn't get to see nothing, and he comes out and I could have watched this on TV. Why would I spend that much money to watch him in person when he does something? Me? Well, I brought it online. I paid $300 to be here. $300. Dollars. What he said is exactly why I would never go. Of course. What's he going to do on stage that he hasn't done on Good Morning America? Of course. Or whatever. Everybody walked out. Everybody's booing on. They walked out. There's more people smoking than there is in there. I'm sorry. That's a dumb person convention. Yeah. Yeah. I texted my husband and said, grab her coat and we'll meet you at the front door. It was not entertaining. And I like him. Why do you like him? What do you like? And B, what did you think it was going to be? I thought it was going to be bits of the Wild Thing thing from the Major League thing and the, what was the other war movie he was in? Platoon? Yeah, I thought it was going to be that. You thought he was going to do scenes from Platoon? Yeah, and he was up there saying winning and warlocks and I was like, what is this? Winning? Yeah.
At this point, if you go to see a concert from Charlie Sheen, I guess you think he's going to come out and just go through his... Warlock. Warlock blood. Winning. Tiger blood. Duh. Hello. All right. And for my encore... Winning. Winning. It's going to just be basically a diatribe about why he's the best and everybody else is out to get him. Yeah. Oh, boy. I would still... I'd see it. Hi. I would have to see it. Well, he began the show with... Question and answers. Q&A session. Which could be interesting. During which Charlie answered questions on subjects like porn stars and crack cocaine. Later, his goddesses came out and they were making out. Okay, well I'd pay to see that. Charlie ranted and burned his two and a half men bowling shirt. You know he was a bowling shirt in all the episodes. Yeah, then Simon Rex. Can you imagine, by the way, the conversations, probably with the goddesses or his buddies, where they're putting together the show. Yeah. Where they're in a meeting. Yeah, they're in a meeting, you know, at his house, deciding, like, so what bits are we going to do? Yeah. And he's like, hey, what if I burn my bowling shirt? Well, I think I'm going to open with hello. And then probably go right into winning and then duh.
Well, we got to change the set list, too, though. Tomorrow night we're in Cleveland, so we start with Dawn. Well, let's start with Goddess is Warlock. Goddess is Warlock. That'll be a good segue into Tiger Blood, and then we'll go to Dawn. I think you'll get a decent response in Cleveland, because that's where the Major League, that movie, which was, he was phenomenal in it. He played Wild Thing, and that's where it was the Indians, Cleveland Indians. I bet he gets a decent response there. What are you not going to be doing? The Wild Thing. I bet he comes out in his Wild Thing jersey 1,000%. Oh, yeah. So then he brought Simon Rex on stage to rap. Who's that? You know that clown? Yeah. Used to be on MTV. Yeah. Good looking guy. He's a pretty sharp dude, but very douchey. He's white, right? Yeah. He's white as I am. And then Charlie played winning his new track with Snoop Dogg, and the crowd was booing even more because Charlie nor Snoop Dogg were on stage at the time. Oh, my gosh. Just played the tracks. Yeah. Just pop the tape in. Yeah. I'm going to take a break. Here's the crowd booing. Hey, shut up. Who hates me? Just sit back and enjoy the show. Oh, you want to sheen about it? Oh, I've sheen about it. You guys are sheen about it. Really, dude? Really? You've been warned, dude. Back to Jay. Boom. Oh. Bye. Jay. Back to me. Go, Mike. It's on. Yeah. Oh, shut up. Shut up. You got me. Stop. Move forward. No, you got me there. You got me.
Jay moving his mouth the whole time. I can't get enough. You cannot play a clip without mouthing it. We can't. We got to get a camera. And it looks just like a wooden mannequin. I don't even realize I do it. I don't even know I'm doing it. You can walk up with a camera. We need to flip on him the whole show. 8.05, we're going to be doing, we're going to be playing back the tapes of me when I used to do country radio. Oh, boy. Prepare yourself for that. But right now. Well, it's Mikey, it's Mikey, it's Mikey Show and Tell. We're dropping knowledge on some hot product if they do it well. Well, here's the thing. Mikey Show and Tell, we tell you about new stuff that we've discovered. And maybe you like it, too. And you go, oh, I didn't know about that. Winning. Maybe you go out and get it because you think it sounds cool. Okay, so today I'm going to be playing back the cassette tapes of when I was on the radio back in the day. Now, I was thinking about it and I'm like, you know, I don't want to lose those things. And it's from cassette tapes. I hope I don't lose it. And so I found this device from Grace Digital. And it's called tape. It's all one word. Tape.
The number two, USB. The device is called Tape the number two, USB. What it is is it's a device that you plug your cassette tapes into, and then a USB plugs into your computer. You press play, and it tapes all your old cassette tapes onto your computer, which you can then burn onto CDs or just have them on your computer. That's the best. Yeah. And it's got a little auxiliary deal. And that's where it records. It works on both PC and Mac. It's got a little record level indicator. You can control the record level on there. Records and plays in stereo. So it's pretty cool. I mean, you know, if you've got old tapes, especially like, let's say you got old cassette tapes of your kids. Stuff like that. And you're like, oh man, I don't want something to happen to these. I don't want them to get messed up.
I don't want the tape to come flying out of the cartridge and try to wind it back in there. And who has tape players these days? You know what I mean? Very few people. You might have an old boombox lying around. That's about it. That's the deal. That's how we found this one. We found it in a room. Exactly. I wonder if you have similar technology for VHS2. They do. They do. They do. In fact, LOB, when I was getting it, it said... Customers who liked this product also liked this, and that was one of them. I think a lot of people probably have old videos. Yep. That's cool. You don't want to lose it. Sienna, what's yours? Now, this is something that I've heard from numerous people, and it's in LA. I'm going to say that right now. Oh, wow. But if you are in the LA area, this is worth a trip. It's called Diddy Race, and it's a cookie ice cream place. Oh, yeah. Oh, like my friends that know food and love, they knew to send this to me because I'm going to go and I'm going to report back. I haven't been there yet, but they make fresh cookies, like any kind of cookie. And they have homemade ice cream and you make these amazing ice cream sandwiches. Oh, wow. And they've been around since 1983. You guys, have you seen the picture? Not fat free, but worth the trip. Look at this picture.
You can build your own ice cream sandwich with home hot, freshly made cookies. I don't think they, it can't be that. What do you mean? Well, think about it. You would think they would have to get room temperature. Otherwise, you got a sloppy mess. You take two hot cookies and you press ice cream between it. Well, they're all made that day. I know that. It's all fresh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But they got to let them cool down, right? No, but if you think about like the pizookie at BJ's. What is that? What did you just say? Yeah, pizookie. BJ's. You guys have never been to BJ's. What is BJ's? BJ's is a pizza place. Yeah. And they have the pizookie, which is like their most famous dessert. And it's a warm, hot cookie. Any kind of cookie, it comes in a dish, like a tin. Yeah. And they pile ice cream on top of it. Stop. You're making me. And it's so good. Is the cookie hot? Yeah. And that's fine because it sounds like it's contained. Well, yeah, you're right. This one, like I said, I haven't had it before. I've only heard good things. And people say this is like nothing you've ever had before. And it's called Diddy Reese. And it's right by UCLA. No calories. Millions of calories, I'm sure. But, you know, sometimes you need to treat yourself. You got to treat yourself. Yeah, you got to treat yourself. Oh, wow. Woodsy, what do you got? Well, so. Oh, and people can call us, by the way. If you have one, if you found something.
that you want to let the world know about that we don't know about? 5701949. As you guys know, I like my music really loud. Yeah. Like as loud as it can go. Well, when I play music at home, I like it really loud. That's true. I'll crank my amp up and blow out. I'll try to make it as loud as I can. Oh, my gosh. Well, it drives my wife insane. Neighbors must love it. Oh, and I'm jamming, you know, deft tones change as loud as it'll go on my guitar because I just learned to play it. I've stopped by Woods' house before I can get out of my car. I can hear it out. Oh, yeah. I will shred. So I decided to compromise because I still want to play my electric guitar, but I can't really play it through my amp super loud. So what I did is I bought a Marshall MS-2. It's a portable Marshall stack. How big are we talking? Fit it in your pocket. No! It's this big, and it's a Marshall stack. It's really cool. You plug in your electric or your electric acoustic, and you can play, and you have a little amp there. It's like a practice amp. Really? It's called a Marshall what? It's a Marshall MS2 portable. It's like $40. You can get it online. And it'll literally fit in your pocket? Yeah, fit in your pocket. No, and it's got clean mode and overdrive mode. Wow. So clean mode sounds like it's very clean, and then the overdrive is the...
You know, it's got a little juice behind it. Yeah, so you can put it in your pocket. And it's a Marshall. That's pretty awesome. It's pretty cool. You might have to put that on Matt's birthday list. There you go. 40 bucks. Get you in and out. L-O-B. I have a place. I was going to tell Sienna this morning, but I wanted to wait for show and tell. It's a rooftop bar on the 40th floor. It's like a lounge area, too, so you can get food there in the Hyatt, downtown San Diego. And I... I kept saying, I went on Saturday night, and I kept saying, I didn't know our city looked like this. Because you can see all around it. It's on the 40th floor. So you're way up. Is that the air bar? No, it's called Top of the Hyatt. So there's a Manchester Grand Hyatt is the hotel, and it's at the very top of it on the 40th floor. You see these crazy views. So yeah, I mean, it's a lounge area, so there's food you can get there and drinks too. But it's like... A view of the city I've never seen. I've been there before. I want to see it. It's so cool. I want to see that too. I love the rooftop stuff like at the Rio in Vegas where you look out over the whole city. I think the one bar is called the Air Bar. It overlooks Petco Park. That's cool. Okay, so call us right now if there's a new product, if there's a new thing, a new TV show, anything that you've seen or that you've tried recently.
that you're like, whoa, didn't know about this, love it, want to tell the world? Jay. I have one that is great with dogs. I've got this big, crazy dog, and he likes to drag me along behind him. And I've tried the choke collar kind of thing. Nothing. He would choke himself out. So I got this thing called the gentle lead, and it's just a little loop that goes over his muzzle. And then when it pulls, it pulls on the leash, and it makes him go sideways. And he just stops. He stops going. He's like, okay. Oh, wow. Control him. So now I can ride my bike, and he can't pull me over. Yeah, it's gentle. The gentle lead. It just goes around his nose and kind of pulls him sideways. It's so cool. Oh, that's killer. The gentle lead. All pet stores have it. I thought of Woodsy this weekend, and I wondered what Woods would think about this. the outlets in Carlsbad and we were walking around and stuff doing some shopping and there was a guy sitting on the fountain because the fountain was off it wasn't running and there was and so a lot of people were sitting around the side of the fountain and everything so this guy's sitting on the fountain he's got two dogs okay and they're on leashes they're on those leashes that look like fishing poles that you you know pull the button and it spools it out or whatever and uh
I was looking, you know, Lukey and Ry-Ry are running around. We're letting them run around. Rebecca's watching one. I'm watching the other. That's our twin boys. They're a year and a half old and they're running around. We're watching. So I'm in charge of Luke. He goes over to the window. He's looking in the window. And all of a sudden I hear this crazy barking. And I go and I look and somebody else had their dog. Yep. And they were walking and this guy's two dogs and the person's one dog started kind of going after it. And both of them were having to pull him back. And my immediate thought was, get out of here with your pets. Yeah, I agree. It's a mall. It's an outdoor mall. Go to a dog park. Go to a dog park. Yeah. And then I walked into a store and there was a guy in there with his dog. You know. Where? What store? Oh, like in the mall? In the store. He's shopping. Was he holding the dog or was he walking? Yes, he was holding it. That's all right.
I'm like, why don't you... I think if it's a small dog and you're holding it or it's in a bag, it's fine. But if it's like a big dog cruising around sniffing everything, it's different. It's fine, I think, and I don't really. I'm saying this because I'm afraid of people. You're afraid of me. I'm afraid of you and I'm afraid of people. I don't think it's fine in any circumstance. I just think that, you know... I don't think it is. People will take their dogs in the bag and I guess, you know... If they're in the bag, they're not bothering you. They're not doing anything. But what if, you know, listen, man. Inside of stores, especially when it's busy, it's tight. Sure. And if you're walking by and that dog takes a snap at you or something. In the bag. Well, their heads are sticking out. The dog wouldn't be out in the store if it would bit people. Yeah. If a little tiny dog scares you, snapping at you. If their head is sticking out, they could jump out of the bag and bite somebody. But you're not going to breed. If you have that kind of a dog, you're not going to breed. They're wild animals. They could jump out and bite somebody. They're domesticated. They're little bitty. They're not wolves. They're animals. Animals are always unpredictable. And that is true. If you saw me at the Gap and I had Lucky in my arm, just holding them, walking around, you'd be like, oh, wow.
I would think I have a dog allergy. I'm not. I don't. But I'm saying if I had a dog allergy, I would assume that the sweater that I bought from the Gap would not have dog hairs on it. But it might now. Thank you. I didn't even think of that. Because Joe from Escondido decided to bring his dog into the Gap. You're right. You should wash that shirt before you wear it anyway. There's probably chemicals in it. Hey, wait a second though, Jay. She makes a good point. What if you're just there, you're trying stuff on, all of a sudden it's got dog stuff on it. I understand where you're coming from, but I just am a dog lover, and I won't change my stance. I'm a dog lover as well, but I also came from my sister with Down syndrome has thankfully overcome her fear, but she had a phobia of dogs. She was scared to death. She would throw caution to the wind and go running out into traffic if she needed to to get away from a dog. And you go to a certain place, and you don't expect. Like she became, you know, like agoraphobic because she didn't want to leave the house. That's what it's called. Dogs are everywhere now. Agoraphobic is when you don't want to leave the house. You don't want to leave the house because she was afraid everywhere she went. And, you know, luckily she's fortunate where she's overcome this fear mostly. My first thought was, oh, HPD, happy birthday. Yeah, to that guy. To that guy. I think it's a little weird at an outlet mall. I'll give you that. But, I mean, if I, you know, we'll take Penny. Usually Jamie will take Penny and Penny only in a bag.
with her head zipped up in the bag, and it looks like a purse. If they're inside the bag, what do I care? Yeah, if she's zipped up with her head and everything, it's like, okay, well, that's fine. She's been to Benihana with us, under the table, in the bag, just sitting there. I would say not in the store, but just walking outside the store is fine. She's sitting there. She just sits there, in Benihana. Walking outside the store, I think is fine. Yeah, walking outside. If you're inside the store, I would say no. I don't even think you take them to a mall to walk them around a mall. I really don't. I've never even done that. A lot of dogs. A M1 cave dweller from Wisconsin's on the line. And he wants to tell us about, because we mentioned this earlier, Windows 8 is coming out. I don't know a thing about it. And so when we come back, you can tell us. Oh, whoa. Mike, have we done that? Oh, gosh. Maybe I do that all the time. Hey, Cave Dweller? Hi. Hey, can you wait? Can you wait, bro? Yeah, what's another 10 minutes? All right, hang on. Hang on. No, no, no. We'll get to you. Hang on. We'll get to you in just a second here. Shake me down. Not a lot of people left around. Who knows now? Hey, let's play Name That Tune. Oh, yeah. 5701-949. Pick me, Sienna, Woodsy, or L.O.B. And what's the theme today, Jay? Ukulele. Oh, wow. Ukulele. And what is the prize? The prize is a pair of tickets to see Back and Forth the Foo Fighters documentary. Wow. Call us now. Yeah. And...

This is Bird and Bird Sir Shed with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Monday morning brought to you by Joe Roper Surfboard Repair and Restoration. Today we are looking at a smaller but still decent combination of northwesterly windy groundswells with some secondary southwest joining in as well. Overall a bit smaller than yesterday, a little less consistent, but still we have waves. Running in that knee-to-waste chest-high zone on average with some pluses. Top open spots, still seeing occasional shoulder-high waves. Coming up a low tide at dawn this morning, so look for some improvement throughout the morning as the tide fills in. Beaches semi-walled up now, they will improve. Reef breaks a little bit sectiony, but they have some waves at the moment as well. Mostly sunny skies right now. Looks like another beautiful day and no winds either. So, chip it up to be a good one. For up-to-the-minute surf reports and forecasts, go to surfline.com. And for all your surfboard restoration and repair needs, you go see Joe Roper. The surf report can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. Tom Brady. Lauren. I like it. Why not? You like the armpit? Yeah, it's manly. Woods. I love the brass. Zienna. Your compass is a classic. And Jay. Yeah, I shaved my legs one time. On FM 94.9. Let me play Name That Tune here in just a second. And we're going to talk to Cave Dweller. My microphone sound weird? A little bit. A little bit. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. See you. Bye-bye. Sounds like somebody's got a case on a Monday. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays. Punch her in her lips. Sienna or the lady? Not Sienna. Name that tune coming up. And I'm going to play tapes of me when I worked at a country station in about 20 minutes. Don't go away. Our boy Jared at createyourdesignonline.com is amazing. Please go check out his website, createyourdesignonline.com. The guy is amazing, does websites, does...
posters, does anything you need graphic design for, and he's the best at it. He did my billboard. Yeah, he did. CreateYourDesignOnline.com All right, let's do Name That Tune. Oh, boy. Prize is what? Prize is a pair of tickets to go see the Foo Fighters documentary, Back and Forth. And before we do this, let me talk to Cave Dweller, because I've had him holding for a long time. Cave Dweller, are you there? Morning. Cave Dweller from Wisconsin. Good morning. Yeah. Nice to have you. All right, so you can tell us about, tell us what Windows 8 is. What has it got? All right, well, first off, happy birthday, Sienna. Thanks. Love you. Windows 8 is basically going to be Microsoft's operating system that they use on tablets and smartphones from now on. That's it? That's what it's geared toward. It's going to have facial recognition software and automatic. What is that? Facial recognition software. Tell me what you mean.
Well, it can be used as a security feature where the tablet or whatever will be able to detect your face, so you won't actually have to input anything that could be stolen and used for identity theft. So like the front-facing camera on the iPad 2, if it had the facial recognition software, you wouldn't have to sign in or anything like that. I don't. It would be able to. I don't have to. Don't get defensive, Mikey. stolen so often, the iPhone. Yeah. It's kind of like a user protecting the owner or whatever. No offense, Cave Dweller. No offense if you're a Windows guy. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. If I had an iPhone 4, I don't want to hold it up to my face and go, hi. I think it's cool. The camera can detect it at different angles and at much greater distances. It's not like you have to stare into it for five minutes.
And if you have prying eyes looking at your stuff, only you can use it. I thought you were just punching a code. Well, there's a bunch. I mean, there's other things as far as the security concerns, but that's my first guess. Windows 8 is also going to be a lot heavier on the 3D graphics acceleration. Anything put out by Microsoft more than likely is going to be geared more toward... video games. So if I'm doing like some sort of Excel report or something and I really want to get those 3D graphics working real good on there, Windows 8 is really going to help me with my 3D graphics. Not necessarily Excel, but for video games. Video games. That's like a $21 billion industry. So it's pretty important to some people. Now that I do get. I do understand that. Yeah. You're going to be able to play like You know, some pretty high-end graphical games. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm all in. Anything else, Cave Dwell, that you know about the new Windows 8? It's basically the reason that Windows 7 isn't used on all these tablets and stuff is it's not made for the same kind of hardware. So back to the tablet. So here's what we're talking about with this thing. You're going to be able to use your tablet with it, and your tablet can detect your face.
Don't be so mean, Maya. You are, in fact, a Mac snob. Yes. Listen, all I know is that the Windows folks beat me up on the intranets and they go, why are you always talking about how great Mac is? Everyone's allowed to like what you like. Like what you like. Yeah. You like what you like. I'm just saying, for all the people that give me such a hard time about liking Mac. You're doing it right back to them. Yeah, you're doing it right back. Be different. Be different. The Windows is still huge amongst businesses, enterprise applications. And gamers. Well, but huge for people that, you know, companies that use it. And then that's why, you know, the BlackBerrys are still widely used by, you know, all the people, like sales reps and stuff like that. Am I missing anything, Cave Dweller? Well, the PC versus Mac stuff has been going on forever. And the only thing that irritates me as a PC user. is I know everything about my computer because I built it. And I built it real cheap, and it's just as stable and just as good. In fact, it's probably, as far as processing speed and graphic stuff, it's better than a Mac, but it cost me about $1,000 less. And that's, hey, Cave Dweller, my answer to that is, you know, I have a busy life. I have things going on in my life, and I would love to be able to,
build my own computer. That sounds like a blast. But what I'd rather do is put it in the hands of people that know about computers, and they just make stuff that works, and it works really, really good. And I don't have to build it myself, and I don't have to... Some people build it to save money, though. A lot of people can't afford it. That's what Finn did. I get it. Or they get it. We don't necessarily get, you know... I use the computer for internet and music. You make a good point, L.O.B. That's it. So for those of you that are out there that do get it, that really understand computers and really enjoy building a computer from the ground up, PC is the way to go. Yes. Now, if you're the type of person that just wants to buy a computer and it works amazingly and real easy and right away, right out of the box. You stand up for Apple like Steve Jobs. You're Steve Jobs, yeah. Steve Jobs is related to you. I found a product. I found a product that's darn near bulletproof. Yeah. Well, look at the industry you're in because Apple is known for their multimedia, all the different software. So that's a lot of extra stuff. Like my mom, if she got a Mac, she'd be like, I don't need GarageBand. I don't need this. I don't need that. She just needs like to do Word documents and answer email. But they have that.
Yeah, I know, but there's all this extra. You can't really have a personalized one. And I'm, look, I'm a Mac person. I'm not saying, like, PC is better. I'm just saying there's an old saying, what's good for the goose isn't good for the gander. Whatever the hell a gander is. Thank you, Cave Dweller. Mikey. Yeah. You know, I've got the time to do this stuff because I'm not spending all my time in the tiny Bahamas store. Fair enough. That's fair enough. Mike, you gotta give him that. You gotta give him that. You got to give him that. You got to give him that. He got you. Game set match. Game set match. You got to give him that. Well done, Cave Dweller. Thank you, Cave Dweller. Well done, sir. Thank you. Thank you. Love you. Guys at home building computers, you're out buying t-shirts. Tommy Bahama. Button downs. Button downs. Not really t-shirts. Sandals. Yeah. Coconut necklaces. Dinners at the restaurant. Hard laid. We found out this morning, Mikey's a huge fan of Tommy Bahama Restaurant. Didn't even have existed until now. I had no idea. Mango salsa. Oh, love it. Name that tune. Here we go. M1, P-Dog from Encinitas. Who are you going to select? Gotta go Woods. Woodsy. You got it. M1A1 from Carlsbad. Who do you want to represent you on Name That Tune?
L.O.B. Yo. You got it. M1 Jimmy from San Marcos. Me or Sienna? Let me get you, Mikey. All right. Oh, boy. Not even like a birthday. Just a freebie. Just a bone. Just a freebie one day. Someone pick me, but, you know. It's a bone. It's all right. You know, I'll just keep score. M1 Zero Cool from Chula Vista. Are you there? Oh. They've hung up. They've hung up. They don't want me. Sienna. What? It's okay. We're going to get somebody on the line. Somebody that wants Sienna. Just call in. I come to work. I feel not well. 5701949. I could have gone home. I stayed. You're muscling through it. You're fighting through it. Yeah. It's making it a little more difficult now. You're a trooper. You got this. Yeah, sure. All right. Somebody call in and get Sienna. Oh, boy. Yeah. Stop it. Now, Sienna. Yeah. The topic or the theme today is ukulele. Don't just tell me. It's fine. It's ukulele. I don't even have it.
Yeah, you do. Phone lines are blown up. Oh, there it is. Oh, look at that. Don't even worry about it. Mikey Show, who's this? Hey, someone, Chris. I'll take the piano. There you go, Chris. Thank you, Chris. Hang on. I love you. There you go. All right, let's do this. Title artist, what? Yes, title or artist. Either or. Here we go. Here we go. What? Life would still go. Oh, believe me. That is the Beach Boys. Well played. A little bit of cheating. How's that cheating? That was a cheating. Just keep on. Just take three seconds. I know the song. Lauren. Florence and the Machine. Wow. Oh, wow. Yeah. No. Oh, yes. Darn it. It was. That's The Killers. Darn it. It was not Florence and the Machine. It sounded like the beginning of that song that we play on our station, FM 949. LLB is like, that was.
A side B from the soundtrack of the movie Sharky's Machine starring Burt Reynolds. It's the main song in Eat, Pray, Love, a multi-million dollar movie. Also a song that's played on our station. Here we go. Let's be friends. Mikey. Either Everest or Grizzly Bear. Is that two points? It was Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zero. Be friends. Just because I have an open mind. Oh, boy. That was the Counting Crows Accidental Love. I knew it was from Shrek, but that's all I knew. And I know the girl that sings that song. Accidental Love. The score is Mikey and Lauren both have negative one. Woods has two. I have zero. I'm going to battle back, Ella B. At least you guys got picked. Here we go.
Lauren. Beatles. All my love. Here we go. Lauren. Paramount. Paramore. I know what you're saying. Mike, negative one. Lauren, one. Woods, two. Sienna, zero. Now's our chance. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Mikey. Queen. Damn it. Mikey's back at zero. Is this all the Julia Nunes or whatever? Not all of them, no. Those first ones were. I don't know what that means. Lauren. Oh, gosh, darn it. Dang it. You knew that one was coming. Here we go. Slides. Guns N' Roses. Wait, was it? Yeah, Sweet Child of Mine. That's not what I was going to say. Lauren has the I'm winning smile. Oh, yeah. What's the score? You guys are just going down. It's just a spiteful look for Mike. What's the score? How dare you? Score.
Oh. Mike, zero. Me, zero. Lauren, three. Woods, two. All right. Here we go. What? Outcast. Here we go. Lauren. Katie Perry. It sounded like Miley Cyrus singing. Excuse me. I can assure you. Oh, what? No, I'm just saying. Here we go. Not sure what that meant, but all right. When you were here before. Woods. Couldn't look you in the eye. Oh, my God. Three. Just like an angel. Shut up, dude. Stop counting when I'm doing it. No, you're out. I'm not out. Lauren. It's Radiohead. Such a DJ. A DJ. Thank you, everybody. Here we go. We've got two remaining. Lauren, five, Woods, two. Okay, these are going to be three-point questions. Fights in the machine. Here we go. La Bamba. Damn it. Yes. Minus three.
You were going to say the same thing? Yep. Darn it. Yep. Here. Woods. Darn it. What's the thing? Lauren and Woods are like scary competitors. Yeah, they are. Oh, my gosh. And Woods was doing, Woods just did easily the most violent hip thrust he's ever done. And he does violent hip thrusts. That was the most violent he's ever been about his hip thrust. Oh. There's really no point to play the last one, but I guess we'll do it anyway. That's a Uke? Yeah. There's a Uke in there. Mikey. Mikey. Two. Lauren. Lauren. Ozzy or Black Sabbath. Yeah, Ozzy. And there's the game. So did Lauren get it right? Yeah, but I won. Well, then you guys tied. She missed three. I got three in the last one. No? You guys are tied. Did you take three points off for the ones you missed? No, I didn't. Of course I did. Oh, God. They tied? Yeah. There we go. Well, there you go. L.O.B. is a winner and Woodsy's a winner. Oh, gosh. Oh, no. Oh, gosh. Oh, no. Oh, let it count. Let's see. Jimmy? You had me, so... Sorry, bro. Sorry. Sorry, Chris. No, call back. Hey, the two people that had Woodsy and L.O.B. call back.
Did you hang up on both of them? Yeah. Well, no, they hung up. Oh, they did? Yeah. That's weird. Yeah. Well, one of them did. I don't know what happened. I think the one that thought that you lost, Woods, hung up. Why would they think that? They probably thought I lost. Because we announced LLB as the winner. No, other way around. Other way around. Other way around. They got so mad. They're like... Great. A1. Steakman. Come on, man. All back. 570-1949. The word of the day is poncho. When I say that between now and 10, call in nine. Four packet tickets to the college area taste, which is going on April 17th. It's about 20 restaurants from the college area. You get to go and eat a lot of good food. And we'll also throw in 40 bucks worth of Dave and Buster's power cards. So it's pretty good. All right. It's time to do the male-female challenge between L-O-B and Jay. Are you guys ready to do this? Well, I don't know that we have time. So we might have to wait until we come back. And then when we come back, we'll do it because we just don't have enough time. So we'll have to do it on the way back. What will it include, Jay? What are you guys going to compete? I've set a table up out here. There's going to be a shooting challenge because I have a BB gun. We're going to try to shoot cans off the table out here. We each have three cans we get to shoot off. A push-up competition.
Who can do 10 push-ups and the fastest? Lauren. I think that L.O.B. should have to do less push-ups because she's a girl. He says I get to do the ones on my knees. Yeah. That's it? I told her she could be on her knees. Yeah. Yay! Oh, God. I can do girl push-ups no problem. Really? Mm-hmm. All right. It's the only push-ups I can do. Yeah. It's true. And then we have the shaker weight competition where it's the most... how many shakes you can get in 30 seconds. I don't know. Oh, wow. I have strong arms. Creep versus creep. Yeah, creep versus creep. So that means that one of us will have to count LOB, one of us will have to count J. We'll have to do it one at a time because we only have one shaker weight. Okay. Alright, so we'll count how many you do in 30 seconds. And then anything else? That's it. Three levels. Alright. So... I'm ready to settle this age-old debate. Who's better? Men or women? Who can compete? Can a woman keep up with a man? Other way around, really. Oh, wow. No. No. L.O.B., I suspect that you'll lose, but... Oh, wow. I think this is going to... Now, hang on a second. Well, you're a woman, you know, and you're a girl. If it wasn't for women, you wouldn't be here. That's true statement. That's true statement.
But, I mean, when we're talking about competing and stuff. Lauren is fit. Yes. Yes, she is fit. I will give her that. Yeah, she is. We should put something like math in there, too. No. Maybe public speaking. Yeah. Nope. Karaoke. Nope. Spelling bee. It's not in there. She wears exercise clothes. I bet I could fit. In her clothes. Mikey just gave Jay the look like, buddy, you went too far. I don't know what you're talking about. It was a mean glare you got. That made my stomach hurt instantly. I lost my headphones and slammed my head in a little thing. Jay has come up with a new strategy. I'll stop them. Yeah. I'll just say something so filthy, they can't continue. And if that don't work, I'll just drop that bomb. No, I won't. Oh, like on Friday? All right, so when we come back, we got two things to do.
We're going to do the male-female challenge, and then we're going to play my country DJ tapes. Oh, yeah. This is the Mikey Show, FM 94.9. This is the FM 94.9 Bud Light Concert Calendar. At CarMax, we understand that honesty is the cornerstone of providing great customer service. However, we also understand that there are times when you're better off not being honest. For instance, when your wife asks you how you like her new purple dress, you might want to refrain from saying it makes her look like an eggplant. And when your boss asks you why you were late, there's no need to tell him you spent an extra long time in bed contemplating your cosmic insignificance. Rather say, traffic was a bear. And when your rebellious teenage son defiantly asks if you ever got into trouble, deflect his question with another question like, want to get some pizza? However, at CarMax, when a customer asks us to appraise their car, we know we have to be as straightforward and honest as possible. Just bring your car in. Get it appraised by one of our buyers, and within 30 minutes, you'll have an offer. Plus, you can take up to seven days to think about it or walk away with payment in hand. My women's intuition has never steered me wrong. Oh boy. Never. Woods. I'm a cuddle bug. Zienna. I've never been on a school bus. And Jay. Hey, I like to skateboard. On FM 94.9. L.O.B. and Jay, the two fittest people. Probably two of the fittest people I know. They're going to go head to head and we are going to solve the age old question.
Can a woman compete with a man physically? Physically. We thought it was over with Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs in the battle of the sexes, but it ain't over. It ain't over yet. Next week we'll do a battle of the wits and we'll see. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Let's do it. Jay will get you. He'll put that dagger in real deep. Let's all be friends. I know. It's like very Monday today. Yeah. You know, let's have some fun. Somebody's got a case of the Mondays. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Well, Mike, have you ever been to the Winchell's Donuts on Miramar Road? You know that. Once have you ever been to the Winchell's Donuts? Yeah, I've been there. Yeah, he's like store 221. He just asked for Fred at the front and he's great. It got robbed on Saturday. And this is weird. I don't know if you guys have ever heard of this, but the robber actually went up to the guy working there, forced him to drink liquid dish soap. Do you have any idea why he would have asked the guy to do that? Make him sick? No. Apparently, if you drink some of the soap, it messes with your memory. And he wanted to jog his memory so he didn't remember the guy.
What? I don't know if that's true or not, but it said the robber told the employee to drink some soap thinking it would jog his memory. And when it didn't jog his memory, he would force him to drink more. I thought jog your memory meant help you to remember something. He wanted to make the guy forget. Yeah, and it said he made him drink more because it wasn't working. I would be like, I don't remember you. I don't remember you. Where are you? Who am I? Oh, yeah. I forget where I am. I can't even remember why my mouth tastes like so. I go, hey, pal, take the frigging money. I don't want the show. I'm not going to say anything. I don't care about Mr. Winchell's bow. I'm farting bubbles here, buddy. Luckily, the Winchell's employee was taken to the hospital for evaluation. They said he's fine. But the guy did get away. It was a 5, 10 a.m. Saturday morning. What a jerk. Also, Obama has launched a new short video for his bid for re-election. That's how he did it? Yeah. By a little video? I just got a pen all over myself. Yeah, he made a video and he has a new campaign slogan. It begins with us. And it is very clear. He clearly identified that the candidates' names are Obama, Biden. Biden for vice president again. Good luck. It begins with us. It begins with us. Yeah. Last time it was just change, right? I think so, yeah. I think it was feast on change. Hope, maybe.
Hope or change. It was feast on hope and change. Feast on hope and change. And now it's, it begins with us. Begins with us. Okay. I don't really know what that means. It ends with them. It means it ends with them. It begins with us, ends with them. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, first of all, sports is brought to us today by Frank's Red Hot. Frank's Red Hot. Get some. All day long. Tonight is the national championship game. It is Butler against Connecticut. Here is head coach, Butler's head coach, Brad Stevens, talking about his amazing basketball player, his guard, Shelvin Mack. Cut two. The last thing that you're ever going to get from a coach is that a guy's met their expectations. I think you always think guys can achieve even more and more and more, and Shelvin's continued to do that all the way throughout his career. And finally, guess what this week is, man? It's such an exciting week. It's Masters week in golf. And there is no tournament. I don't watch much golf. I watch the Masters. And I love the Masters. It is the most beautiful course you'll ever lay your eyes on. And Phil Mickelson is the favorite to win. He just won the Houston Open. They're calling it the Masters tune-up. He won that this weekend. And so the Masters starts Thursday, April 7th. Be there or be square. Yeah.
How's Tiger going to do? Who knows? Dude, he is, you don't know with him. I mean, he hasn't won a tournament since his dalliances. And he is, he's kind of like a, I don't dare to say average, but he's an average golfer. Yeah. Maybe he gets back to doing his business. Oh, wow. That was a weird. Maybe it'll work. Yeah. The guy was on top of the world, man, when he was, you know. He's heartbroken. He doesn't have his family the same way he used to. Wear of the day is poncho. When you hear me say poncho, between now and ten, caller number nine gets a four-pack of tickets to College Area Taste, which is a bunch of restaurants out at the College Area. Forty bucks worth of Dave & Buster's Power Cards. Pretty cool. Oh, yeah. All right. Let's do this. The male-female challenge. All right. It's going to begin with, okay, that's L.O.B. and Jay competing. These are the two most fit people on the Mikey Show. Hello. And they're going to compete in various... physical drills. Now, the first one has to do with skill. And they're going to be shooting with a BB gun. And they're going to be shooting at... Taking my jacket off. They're going to be shooting at... Cans. Yeah, little soda cans. How many soda cans we got lined up there? We have six. She gets to shoot it. We only have to hit three of them. Where are you going there? Where do I have to stand? Right there at the door. Oh, wow. All right. LLB is...
Aiming the BB gun. I'm not confident in her stance already. Me either. That's okay. You leave her alone. We're commentating. We're commentating. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, well. Okay. She's going to be great. I know. You have to commentate. We have to describe. We have to commentate. Fine, but don't make fun. I'm not making fun. She had this gun for three centuries. Hey, put that butt. You're pointing at his piece for crying out loud. Poor Chris. This one. This one. There you go. She had the stock of the gun above her shoulder. Okay, the first shot is a miss. Cock it. You got to cock it. 12 feet away. 12 feet away. Stop it. I'm just, I'm commentating. We have to commentate. 12 feet away. Okay, here we go. Shot two. Okay, second shot. Nothing. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You got three. You heard it? We got one. Watch this. He'll do it with his eyes closed. Well, see, Jay, this is his BB gun from childhood. As L.O.B. said, he's had it for three centuries. Yes, three centuries. Jay just put it under his leg as if he was going to shoot like that. This was the first BB gun ever invented. There's one. All right, they're tied. Nope, he missed. He missed. Don't F this up.
Oh! Got it. Okay. Two out of three. All right, so LLB got one out of three. That's so unfair. He got two out of three. What's next? That's Jay's gun. Go to the push-ups. Push-ups. All right, how many push-ups are you doing? Ten. Right here. They're doing ten? And I get timed? No, we both go head-to-head, and we got to get to ten first. Oh. Whoever gets to ten first. Here, I'll go this way. Now, Lauren is doing it, you know, she gets to be on her knees, which are modified girls. She has to go down. She still has to go all the way down. All right. And whoever finishes first, right? Woods, are you going to count L.O.B.? I'll count L.O.B. Okay, ready, get set, go. Oh, stop. Stop, stop. J, jump the gun, L.O.B. Sorry, but J jumped the gun way early. Flag. Flag on the play. On your mark, get set, go. One. L.O.B. wins. L.O.B. won! Her first five, she was ripping. She was like, pow, pow, pow, pow, pow. Holy cow. They're tied. They're tied. One event apiece. Go, Lord. They're tied. Go, Lord. 30 seconds. Now it's the shaker weight. Get this on camera. Last challenge is the shaker weight challenge. And it's whoever can pump the most shaker weight pumps in 30 seconds. Is that correct? Yes. Get this on camera for the creeps out there. It's got to be, you know, go for it. How do you count it? How do you count it? I think if she can just keep a continuous motion for 30 seconds.
Jay just demonstrated the motion. But wait, Jay. I'll count it. How does she beat you? You'll be able to tell the difference between the two, I think. We'll get it. I'll get it. Okay. What does that mean? We'll get it. I got it. Shut up, Mac. I got it, too. Are you ready? I think that you'll be able to see if she slows down. Okay. You got this, Lauren. 30 seconds. On your mark, get set, go. Better than I thought. Lauren, go, Lauren. You're at 12 seconds. Don't give up. 12 left. No, you're 15 seconds now. You have 15 left. Don't give up. Don't give up. Push yourself. This is for women out there. For all the women out there, L.O.B. Come on. Finish strong. Come on, L.O.B. 3, 2, 1. Stop. Oh, my gosh. She's beet red. She's beet red. She's beet red.
She's beat red. There's a lot of creepers out there who are going to see this video. Look at her motion. Let me get this guy going here. Jason. Jason is rolling up his shirt. Wait. Oh, my God. I just warmed up. All right. You ready? Yeah. You're a creeper. All right. Now. He's doing it one-handed. Lauren did two. Don't you have to use two? You can just have your one. He'll end up with two. You can? I'll start with one. I don't know. how you win this portion. It's fun though. On your mark, get set, go. That's so weird. That's such a weird face. His face is... Now he's got two hands. Now he's got two hands. He has a real nice motion though. He's weird. He's really good at that. I've been practicing this all my life. You've been treating yourself. 10, 9, 8, 7. He's going to prove. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Stop. I got to give it to LLB. You know why? He switched it up at the end. You can do it however you want. LLB stayed strong and steady. Slow and steady wins a raise.
Jay was quick. She was steady. He had a real good motion. So I guess we haven't really decided. I guess it's tied. We'll have a tiebreaker. Let's have a tiebreaker. How about a spelling bee? Spelling bee. How about the tiebreaker is they have to race around the inside of the thing one time? He would beat me. We were both high school track stars. No big deal. What if you get a head start? Okay. All right. Out in the hallway. Oh, yeah. What if who can do squat the longest? We have a round. It doesn't matter. Whoever comes back in here first. We have a round building, square building, and it has a big hallway that goes all the way around the length of the building. Elevators are in the middle. Elevators are in the middle. So you go around the elevator. Now we're going to give, we're going to put L.O.B. on a corner of the building. And so she's got a pretty good head start. Where are you starting? She's going to start at the door. She gets the door? That's it? How far does she get? She's tough. Like when you guys did the thing. Okay. She was a track star in high school. Hey, L.O.B. Pretend that Jay is a creep chasing you. That won't be hard. Are you ready? I think so, too. Jay's 47. That's true. He's 107. On your mark, get set, go. They're off. They're off. Oh, my God. Jay's fast. She should have got way more of a head start. Let's be quiet.
I knew it. She's such a screamer. It sounds like Jay. I just lost 50 bucks on you. Women are better than men. Who knew? Not only can women compete with men, we have defined for eternity that women are better than men. They're better as long as they get a head start. Dude! They're better than getting a head start. You get to do knee push-ups. She killed you. She whooped you. I took my shoes off. My feet have rug burns on them. How are you used to that? I bet she... She is so competitive. I bet she gave that every... Oh, I did. Every time I heard him get closer, I would scream. I was gaining. I was getting close. Hey, we should do Chubbs versus Chubbs next, pal.
That was L.O.B. That was L.O.B. running. Chris is like, what am I doing with my life? I know. I know. This is our job. L.O.B., you beat Jay. I know. I did get a head start, so I don't feel like I've totally. You got a head start. All the head start that she got was from the door to where Jay usually sits, which is 12 feet. Yeah, that's true. She got a 12 foot. She got a 20 foot. It's only the 20 foot, Mike. I don't want to hear it. And I don't have shoes on. And Mike, let me tell you something. I don't ever want you to bring it up again. All right? Yeah, she won, but I don't need to hear it. I demand a recount. A recount. We're both out of breath. Man. That was awesome. You guys doing the shaker weight? It's so funny. Oh, wait till you see the video of that. Oh my gosh. So dirty. It was the creepiest thing I've ever seen. I was so embarrassed.
Jay's face was filthy. Oh, yeah. Oh, he's getting them. He was getting them, dude. You got to dig deep. Oh, my gosh. 5701949 is our number. All right, you guys ready for when I used to work at the country station? Oh, yes. All right, so this was when I worked. This was 1993, so 18 years ago. This was 18 years ago. And I was 23 years old. This was the tape that you would send to program directors to try to get a job. So you knew Royce before? Yeah, he hired me my first job in radio. And so this was our tape that said... Hire these guys. This is what they sound like. KCBQ. The greatest rock and roll hits of the 70s and 80s. 105.3 KCBQ. It's Royce and Mike. Good morning. 840. Hey, Pod's first win of the year already. How about that 1-0 on the season? We were out there on opening day and the Murph looks great. I was kind of surprised by that. Didn't you think there was going to be... All the construction going on and all those things being ripped down and those buff construction guys working around the clock out there. You know?
I was thinking about that guy. Yeah, we could tell by that envious look in your eyes. I'm serious, man. That guy walked by with those biceps. See, that's exactly where I was going with that. Because I've been pumping the Iron Man, and I think I'm ready to do that. You're ready to go on out and help the folks build the Murph, huh? I definitely could. What about your dress? What's going to happen to that? You know what? I could do it. I'm telling you, if I wanted to. You know what? I got their number, Royce. That's Eddie. He's our producer. He's our producer. The construction company? They're the guys that are building the Murph. You think you can get a job? I guarantee it. Five bucks, you can't get a job with them. Ten bucks, I get a job with them. Ten bucks. I'll call ten bucks here. Just zoo radio? Oh, yeah. Just bonk wee! I'm going to put on a voice here, so that'll work. Hi there, is this the construction company? Yes, it is. Hi there, my name is Frank, and I just moved down to the area from Los Angeles. Now, is this the construction company that's doing the work on Jack Murphy Stadium? Yes. Fantastic, Ben. That's exactly the one I was looking for. I need to get some work right away. I'm strong, and I am very agile and quick, and it's easy for me to get along with other people. The only problem is that I was working in Los Angeles, and I used to get teased a lot.
And I think that the construction companies sort of saw that as a liability. Because I tend to wear like skimpy clothing while I'm working. I'm just comfortable that way. But I'm a great worker and I get a lot done. And do I know the construction business? Hello? I'm here. Hi, my name is Frank. But I'd like to start as soon as possible. I've got my own tool belt. I'm here, sir. This is actually making me laugh. Oh, it's great. And I know where the mirth is. Then why don't you go up there and speak to project management. It's the project manager I need to speak to. Or the superintendent. Okay, I've got an idea, though. Is it possible to just hire me right now? No. You're calling the executive officer. Okay, my name's Frank. Okay. Well, anyhow, do you think it's hard work out there, or do you think... Sir, I really don't have time to answer all these questions.
You need to go out to the stadium and talk to them. All right, well, since you're going to be like that about her, I suppose I better. Okay. All right, do you think the gals would mind if I wore the short shorts? Sir, you know, you're being really strange. I think you're real weird. Don't call back. Hello? 105.3 to a CBQ. The greatest rock and roll hits of the 70s and 80s. Oh, for sure. You sure? I love it. Let's sit all day. I love prank calls like that. 105.3 KCBQ. Oh, my gosh. 105.3 KCBQ. Good morning, 806. Royce and Mike knee-deep in San Diego. This time helping out all the fire victims that were just recently devastated by the wildfires in North County, and we've already raised $23,000. Yes.
Thanks to you guys. We're not done. Not done. Doing it again this Friday night, 7 o'clock. Seau's the restaurant is the place. Here's what we're looking for. You got canned goods. You got any extra clothing laying around. You got some medical. This was on our demo tape. Yeah. So we were like, you know what? You know what is going to be good? Oh, my gosh. Us talking about a charity event. Oh, we're helping. Yeah, we're helping. Oh, is that what it was? Is that what our thought was? Yeah, you're showing them that you do a lot for the community. We do a lot for the community. And you can. Just give them the chance. That's all you need. Give me the chance. Give you the shot. Here's some incentive to come out there, too. We have confirmed Junior is going to be there. Junior will be there. Yes. Eddie, you've got some other folks lined up out there? Yeah, I also got Tony Quinn from the pod. Really? So you can come on out and let Tony Quinn. can. Also, from the Renegade TV show, Lorenzo Llamas. Very nice. Can we pet him? You bet. We've got a Royce and Mike Lorenzo petting area. I didn't even know about that. Oh, certainly. That's going to be perfect. Hey, we've got one of the... It's the worst. That voice. It's the wackiest radio. He sounds exactly the same. He does. He sounds exactly the same. Fortunate members of the families that were burned out in North County. Sheila is on the phone with us this morning. I'm not yet. What year is that from?
1993. I was a senior in high school. Man. Just a glint in your eye, pal. I was eight. I was in middle school. This tape says Howard Stern, Mikey Promo. So maybe this is when I was on the Howard Stern show. Yes. You want to hear it? Yeah, this is like the archives, dude. For those of you that don't know, I did a hoax where I pretended to smoke pot on the air and get arrested. And then... I had this whole elaborate plan that I would call Baba Booey. Yeah. And tell Baba Booey about it and then see if Howard was interested. And he was. And so I went out to New York and I was on the Howard Stern show. So cool. Baba Booey. Papa Pohai. Papa Pohai. Rock 105.3. You are now rocking with the best. Actor. Broadcaster. Menace. Adam. Yeah.
Do you have Big Brother ready to go right now? Dude, let's charge it, man. Fire it up, dude. Are you ready to charge it? Fire that bitch. Oh, my God. Mikey? Different time. Wow. Different, Mikey. Fire that bitch. Very nice. Mikey. Who's this? You know exactly who it is. Listen, man. We're going to clear this up once and for all. It's either my way or the highway, okay? That's my old program director, Tim Dukes. Yep. I suspect that this is a hoax of some kind because your program director, if he was really mad and you were smoking and you were encouraging marijuana use on the air, he wouldn't have come on the air with you and played along. The first thing he said when I walked in is, if you were not on the Howard Stern show this morning, your ass would be fired. Crazy. That is awesome. You're in studio being interviewed by Howard. Yeah. So cool. So I go in there and I think it's going to be this interview where he's going to be like,
Oh, wow, this is really crazy what you did. And immediately what it is is, oh, I think you're lying and it's a hoax. Yeah. And the only way that I got out of it was that I had brought a copy of his book. Yeah. And I had highlighted all this stuff and, you know, basically what I do with my Bible now. Right. Made notes. And he saw that and he thought it was the greatest thing ever. Yeah, for sure. And so he was cool. That's awesome. He had their late night DJ come on and sit next to me and go, this is the stupidest bit I've ever heard of. And I go, his name was Booger. Catchy. Of course it was. And I go, that's easy for you to say. You're in New York. Yeah. And he goes, anybody could do this bit. It's like the dumbest bit ever. And I go, I didn't know what to say. So I go, fair enough.
Howard thought was funny. And I also remember when I walked into the studio and Robin saw me, she goes, Mikey looks different than I thought. Mikey looks different than I thought he would look. So, yeah, it was a different time. It's great. Different time. I love the archives. I love dusting off the old tapes. I do. You've never heard Michael Shannon, right? Yeah, we have. Not the real. Not the real Michael Shannon. We've heard that. I've got those tapes, too. I'll give you all that stuff at some point. I want it. Oh, yeah, we'll get it. Let's see. Oh, I know what I want to do. I know what I want to do. We haven't done Woods of Wisdom. Let's do a little Woods of Wisdom. Why do I always do that? Why do I always do that? There we go. We got good questions today, too. If you have a question for Woodsy that's guy-related, call us right now. Well, I know you need your Woods of Wisdom.
We have a place on mikeyshow.com where you can go and you can ask Woodsy guys guy questions. And then we also allow you to call 570-1949. So you have a guys guys question you can call right now and ask Woodsy. But here's a couple of the emails that we got. Woods. Now, you've got to follow along with this. At first when I read it, I was like, do I get this? But then I did. I'm going to take some notes. One of my best friends is a female. I've known her 10 plus years. And there are three of us that are really tight. Me, a male buddy, and her. Two guys and a girl. Yeah. They're all good friends. Make sense? Yep. Okay. He says, well, the girl in our group started dating this guy.
Four years back, and I noticed that he was absurdly cheap. He never chipped in for a bar tab, never opened one when we would go out, but would take every drink offered. He tries to skimp out on the bill by collecting the split cash at dinner and putting the bill on his card, which, by the way, I don't get how that's skimping. That's not skimping, I don't think. If you put it on your card and you take everybody's cash and you put it on your card, how's that skimping? Maybe he waits to see like what the leftover is and people always put in a little bit extra. That could be it. That could be it. He says. Oh, OK. Here he does explain. He says he tries to skimp out on the bill by collecting the split cash at dinner and putting the bill on his card and not giving us change. Yeah. Cheap. When we go bowling, he'll never help pay for the lanes. I know it's very minor stuff.
but it adds up. I noticed how cheap he was very early on, and I told our other guy friend about it. Okay. He didn't notice it much until I pointed it out, and now he notices it all the time. Now, we really don't want to be around this guy, but we can't hang out with her without him. Should we tell her how cheap he is? I'm sure she already knows that he is. M1 Griper. Yeah, I think that because they've all been friends for so long and I can see the dynamic in my head a little bit because I had something like this in college. Yeah. With that kind of group of friends. A couple of us guys hung out with one chick. It wasn't like that at all. But we were comfortable enough that I could have gone to her and been like, hey, your boyfriend is a clown. The guy's king cheap. But I think, you know, there's a tactful way to do so.
But you got to, I think you have to let her know. Now, if she just goes, oh, I know. Isn't Jay something? He's just so cheap. Yeah. Isn't Jay something? The producer of the Mikey show, my boyfriend. Isn't he something else? Isn't he something else? Why'd you use Jay as an example? Well, I just, just throwing a name out there. No, we just picked a name. Is it random? Arbitrary. No, I think that. Isn't Jay Isbell, my boyfriend? Isn't he extraordinarily cheap? Yeah. Frugal. Frugal. We quit dating Mikey. All right. Well, I think that. If you want to hang out with your girl and her boyfriend's cheap, you might have to deal with it. What's going on? I don't know. It's on your way. It's out. Did your head sound mistake? It wouldn't be flashing there. But my hands have been where they are. That's weird. I can't hit things over there. It is pretty funny, though. I was like, is something monumental about to happen? unleash this beautiful diatribe. It must have been Woods' epiphany. Yes, yes. All right, I got another one for you. Ready? Hey, Woods, my husband is so loving and sweet and affectionate and cuddly at home. Woods? But we're in public, he doesn't like to show any type of affection toward me. I've asked him so many times why and if would try in public. Did Jay write that? If he would. And if he would try in public.
Poor Jay. Leave him alone. He said yes, but he never has. What now, M1 Joe? Well, you take the good with the bad, you know? I mean, what are you crying about? The guy's real sweet and loving at home. Yeah. And he's cuddling and he's affectionate. At least he's like it. Happy birthday, lady. Can I give my take on this one? Yeah. Hey, dude. Maybe you nut up and you become affectionate with your wife. Maybe he doesn't want to. He doesn't like PDA. Great. Really? Yeah. Sally? I'd do it. I'll French my wife in public. I don't care. And that's what I'm saying. Listen, does this not go back to the whole concept of love and respect? It does. She desires it. Yeah. Give it to her. Maybe compromise a little bit. Maybe hold her hand. Yeah. Put your arm around her. Don't treat her like she's, you know, got leprosy or something. But also, lady, I mean, he's very sweet, loving, cuddly, sweet at home. I get the feeling that he does hold her hand. She just wants more. She wants a little more. She probably does. He probably, well.
Does she want third base at the mall or what? I think she'd be writing us if he held her hand. I think she wants more. Who doesn't like hold their wife's hand or do something? I used to date somebody that didn't like any PDA. Any at all. Girl or guy? Guy. What? Girl or guy? She said she used to date somebody. Oh, you dated somebody. Yeah, so girl or guy? Well, that was in college. It was one time. It was no big deal. Yeah, but he was the same thing at home. He was all cuddly and then didn't want to because he said it was rude. Rude? For other people. He's like, nobody wants to see that. No, you do. Listen, guys, if that's what she wants, you do it because she desires it. She wants love. I wonder if someone ever, if in the beginning he did it and someone said something to him and now it's in his head that he can't do it. She gets love at home. Bro, she's asking for love. Yeah, she's getting it at home, sweetly. He's very sweet and cuddly. She's asking for it out of there. Yeah. Maybe he's not comfortable. He clearly isn't comfortable. Well, yeah, he's not comfortable. Maybe he sacks up. That's who he is. Sack up. Well, he's been like that all along, I'm sure. You giving him the rise above bit? Thank you, Woodsy. Woodsy said it. Sienna, rise above. Come on. It's not always easy for everybody. But maybe she just realized that's how he's always been and chill out.
Yeah, maybe she's just got a good man. He's real sweet and cuddly at home. Yeah, maybe you just keep your mouth shut and you just don't. And know your place. Just know your place. No, it's not like that. I understand her complaint, but you can't expect someone to change if that's not how they are. I'll give you what I'll give you. Hey, you get what you get. You take it. And you quit crying. Get my dinner on the table. You don't have to say it twice, Woods. All right, fold my shirt. Yes, sir. Is that that Facebook dude? Yeah. This guy wrote me on Facebook, and he said, I hope I didn't scare you the other day at Arco. He was very excited. And he said hi. He was a fan. And he said hello. And his name is M1 Gary. Are you there, Gary? Yes, sir. How are you? I'm good. Gary's from Encinitas. And he was a very excited fan. And he came up and he said hello. And he was a really nice guy. And he came. He just walked out of the restroom. And he saw me. And he came over. Very enthusiastic. Now, we've gone back and forth on Facebook, and I invited him to come on the air. And there was this thing that we talked about that I would not necessarily do, but Gary feels comfortable doing. And it isn't that. And it is that Gary is a barefoot guy. Okay? Gary is a barefoot guy. And he came out of that.
A.M. P.M. bathroom. Arco. It's Arco A.M. P.M. Yeah, same thing. And he came out of there and he didn't have any shoes on. He was barefoot. In the bathroom? Yeah. A public bathroom? Yeah. Now, we talked about that when we, you know, because I'm pumping gas and he said hi and we're talking and. Just no shoes on. And I go, dude, are your feet freezing? And he goes, no. And I go, my feet would be freezing. Besides that. Yeah, you didn't mean are your feet freezing. You meant in your head. In my head. Did you just come out of the bathroom with no shoes on? What's wrong with that, really? God gave his feet for a reason. Not urine collectors. PP. PP collectors. PP. No. How come? Okay. Now, Gary, in fairness, I'm going to be fair because Gary said, I'll talk to you about it on the air. I said, I would love to do that. Absolutely. Fascinated. Gary. Now, I did think it looked freezing cold. It did look freezing cold because it was a cold cement. Yeah. But aside from that, that's right. There's gumminess on the cement, like stickiness on the cement. In the bathroom, there's wee-wee. Yeah.
I have no problem with him being outside barefoot on the cement or even going in the AM, PM or wherever. The store barefoot. Don't have a problem with that. It's the bathroom that's gross to me. Me too. He said he doesn't. As soon as you leave the store or leave the bathroom, you're crossing across a mat or walking across the parking lot and the dirt cleans you up just fine. It's a little bit of gravel. It's fine. Can I ask Gary a question? Yeah. Do you smoke marijuana? Yes, Gary. Do you smoke marijuana? I can answer that question for you. I met Gary. He smokes marijuana. Gary smokes marijuana. Okay, okay. Then it makes a little bit more sense. He wasn't smoking marijuana. I don't have proof that he smokes marijuana. I met Gary. Gary, I'm going to take a wild guess that you occasionally smoke marijuana cigarettes. Well, as long as my phone call is not being traced, I'll say yes. Yes, you're fine. He said that he goes... I occasionally partake, yes. He said that he goes into stores like that. I'm going to stores like that in the summer. Yeah, me too. Just not in the bathroom. In the summer, I would. Mike. After the beach. Yeah, well, it's a year-round thing for me, because I'm chill. I'm cool with it. Yes, Sienna. Mike, you have a cat. Does your cat ever go, like, on your bed? Unfortunately, yes. Uh-huh. Now, your cat doesn't wear shoes, and he trots around in his own feces. Yeah. And then goes on your bed. Yep. You sleep in poop. So, you sleep in poop. Yep.
You're right. Do you eat in bed, Mike? And urine. Mike, do you eat in bed? I eat in bed, but I don't eat off the bed like a plate. Right. Do you sometimes drop something and then pick it up in your mouth? Would you pull the covers up and then maybe eat your sandwich? Poop sandwich. Cat poop sandwich. I can't believe he has five dogs that do the same thing. You're making my point for me. We need to get rid of the cat. Gary, can you hold on? Yes, sir. Hang on. We got to talk about this and love to hear your opinion. 5701949. Is it okay to just barefoot it up everywhere? Not everywhere. Okay, the beach and your shower. The beach, your shower, and you can walk into a store with your shoes on. Just don't go potty. Don't go potty. Don't go potty. Don't go potty. Yeah, you don't go potty. So we are going to go to this breaking news. It's breaking news happening right now in Otay Ranch Town Center. In Eastlake. In Eastlake. And this is happening at Otay Ranch Town Center. It's caused four schools to be on lockdown. They are Wolf Canyon Elementary School, Veterans Elementary School, Olympian High School, and Eats Lake High School. Now, Mater Dei Catholic High School is now back in session. We go live out to our Gene Cubison, who's there on the scene, to give us the details. Gene? And this started about 6.45 this morning as a smash-and-grab robbery at the Apple Store here in Otay Ranch Town Center.
Two men and women, two of the three armed with handguns. A security guard armed himself was on the scene. There was an exchange of gunfire, kind of a running gun battle out into the parking lot. The getaway driver was shot dead in the car. It crashed with the other two inside. And they left the shopping center on foot. Came into a nearby residential area, eventually were found hiding in the backyard. Those two, one of them injured, but not by a gunshot, apparently in the crash. So they're in custody. Police, backed up by Border Patrol, are now starting to release units. It appears as though the incident is over. They've got who they want, but sorting out how this all began and exactly the injuries to that one man, they're still looking into that. Gene, question for you, and you may have said it, I think I missed it in collecting details here, but a black Lexus, is there a second car? There is a second car, but the Lexus apparently is not involved. That's been ruled out according to Gary Ficacci of Chula Vista Police Department. And Gene, we are... Is that blood? Blood, dude. Holy cow. Is that? That's blood. It looks like it could be oil leaked. I don't think that's oil, though. It looks like there was one in the next spot, though. They don't, like, show blood on the news, usually. Stuff like that.
I think that's what that is, though. I mean... Looks like blood to me. And you know why there might be that much blood? Is because they shot the window? And there's probably glass everywhere? You know? What a strange robbery. You know, like, let's go blasting into the Apple store and steal merchandise. So weird. Get yourself killed over some Apple products. Do you have any information as far as the lockdown status of these four schools? Have you heard if those lockdowns have been lifted yet? The captain said just a few minutes ago it's going to be a matter of minutes before that lockdown is lifted. Okay, that's good news. And for an update on that, we turn now to Anthony Milliken on the telephone, Chula Vista School District. Mr. Milliken, good morning to you. What can you tell us about the four schools still on lockdown? Well, I'm at Wolf Canyon School, and we're no longer on lockdown. We're back to the business of educating students. Quite an eventful morning, however, and there are students who are still filtering into our school here. We were in a shelter-in-place lockdown. Our school was never... Nah, it must be oil. Yeah, they don't show blood. Boy, it looked like blood, didn't it? Sure did. Any danger?
However, many students could not get to school because the neighborhood that they were in was in the lockdown was closed off. And any other schools in your district on lockdown? We had a report of one other one other school very briefly was on a lockdown. But no, it's our understanding that the suspects that prompted this incident were captured. We're now. Again, trying to make sure that we get as many of our students back to school and are able to get back to campus through their neighborhoods as possible. Now, if you're just tuning in, it was two guys and a girl. They shot their way into the Apple store at Otay Ranch Town Center. And a security guard that was there shot the getaway driver. Dead. Was it the woman, I wonder? Don't know. I don't know. I just know that the other two people ran out and are now in custody. They've been handcuffed. They had guns, though. Yeah. Okay, Anthony Millican, the communications director for Chula Vista Elementary. Thank you for your time, Anthony. Thank you. Again, this all started about 645 this morning. It set a series of events, and we're still gathering information, and we'll bring you the very latest. We'll be back here in less than 30 minutes. And now back to the Today Show. Seems like...
That would even be national news. Yeah. And again, if you're listening and you're like, what elementary schools are on lockdown? It's Eastlake High School. The man just said Wolf Canyon Elementary is no longer on lockdown, but Veterans Elementary School is in Olympian High School. But don't worry because they have the people in custody. Right, they have the people in custody. Mater Dei Catholic High School is also no longer on lockdown. All right. I'm going to switch gears on you. How well do you have to know somebody to tell them something's in their teeth? Or on their face. You don't need to know them well. Oh, yeah, you know. No. I would want to know. Teeth is different than face. Teeth is different than face. If you had a little frosting on your lip or like something on your face and I didn't know you, I'd be like, oh, hey, hon, you got a little. Yeah, I would do that. But if you had pepper in your teeth, I'd be like, oh, wow, I'm not saying a word. I walk into a Wells Fargo and guy or girl has spinach on their tooth.
Not a word. Not a freaking word. You have to at least have a mutual friend who has introduced you. Yeah, that's in the rules. Jenna, you need to write these down. No, I would tell someone if there was something in their teeth. If it was a booger and I didn't know them, I probably wouldn't say anything because that's really embarrassing. So I'm checking you out at Stater Brothers. And I'm like, hey, how are you? It's good to see you. And I've got lettuce in my teeth. Oh, I would tell you. How? I would just be like, oh. Get a little something right here. Yeah, I would do it. I just got the shivers. Oh, yeah, I have a dead gum. I have really bad gingivitis. Thanks for pointing it out, though. Thank you. I would do it in a nice way. And they'd be like, oh, my gosh, thank you so much for telling me so many people wouldn't. And I'm here greeting people all day, and I would have had that for hours. They're like... I hear that all day long. It's because I have a condition called black tooth. They're not going to say that. Black tooth. It's called permanent black tooth. It's called permanent black tooth. One tooth was black and the others were not. If I had a piece of lettuce for every person that thought this was a piece of lettuce, I'd have a Caesar salad. Next time you guys have stuff on you, which Mikey and Woods is all the time. We know each other. I learned my lesson. I did that to one of our listeners. I thought there was a little something.
on his head that was not supposed to be there, and it was a scar. It was a bobcat scar. It was a bobcat scar. But it was clearly a scar. And I walked up to him, didn't even know his name, and I said, you have? And then I went, oh, I'm a jerk. That's different than lettuce in someone's teeth, though. You can tell that there's not supposed to be green in your teeth. She also walked up to Sammy Davis Jr. and said, I think you have a little glass in your eye. Yes, she did. And then she said, My name's Lauren O'Brien, and I'd like to feast. Yeah. You're a black guy. You're a black guy, and I'm L.O.B. I'm just a girl, you know. I'm just standing in front of a black guy. With a glass eye. I'm just a white girl that wants to have sex with a guy with a glass eye. Yeah. That's all. A black guy with a glass eye. Clarify. L.O.B. walked up to a man that clearly had a scar. I mean, it was a scar. It was pretty clear. It was a scar. He says people say it to him all the time. They say what? Blind people do. Hey. Blind people. Yeah. Helen Keller once walked up to him and even she was like, oh, look at that scar. Was it a bobcat? Bobcat gets hurt. It looked like ink. It looked like there was a pen mark. I thought he, because I had said something too. I know. And I was just trying to help because it was that rule. Well, it's not in his mouth. It's on his face. And, you know.
If something is that obvious... Or that old rule. That old rule. But in your teeth, you really have to be looking at someone and be like... You have to make the distinction. Like, is that dead tooth or is that... Is that dead tooth? Or is that pepper? I can't tell if you have dead tooth or pepper. If it's clear... Well, and also, actually, Matt's brother has a little bit. And I tell him, like, every fifth time I see him, I start to tell him he has something. It's a little bit of a dead spot. Wow. And you start to tell him. And you still tell him. Yeah, he's like, yeah. You're like, hey, you got something messed up. Oh, gosh, I forget. I always forget. Oh, wow. He has a discoloration. I would just keep it to myself. She's like, hey. I'm trying to help him out. Now you're making it feel bad. Yeah, she's like, hey, right here. It looks like you've been chewing on cement. Yeah, but you know what? Even if it was that, I would rather someone say it to me than just. stare at it and think it silently when you know that they're thinking about your dead tooth. Is there anything worse than knowing that you, like when you had pepper in your teeth, LB, when you have pepper in your teeth and you've been talking to people all day, you get in your car and you, oh wow, that's a big old piece of pepper. You trust your friends. I convince myself no one noticed. In my head, I'll be like, oh, they would have said so. They didn't know. I convince myself the opposite, that they think I'm a filthy animal that doesn't know how to check my teeth. No, but we don't think that. Sometimes.
Caught a piece of pepper. We didn't tell you. Yeah, thanks. But it was okay. I trusted my friends to tell me. It was okay. We weren't really friends then. We barely knew each other. I didn't even see it, though. And I would have told you. Yes, you did. It was like a meteor. It was huge. I did not see it. It was gigantic. Do you know what this one did to me after a week of being on the air? Like a week. We were in the elevator, and she's like, hey, you got a bat in the cave. I was like, oh, great. Perfect. She did. I will. I will tell. She told me. She's like, you got a booger. I was like. Weren't you glad that I did, though? No. Because then you would have gone around and everyone would have seen your booger and not have said anything. I could have made it to the car and I would have seen my booger. No. In the elevator. On the way down, she goes, hey, Woods, you got a bat in the cage. Oh, great. When it's drastically out there. Matt had something like something white. We were at an outside wedding and something was floating on the air and landed on the outside of his nose. So I started taking my finger and scraping it off. And he goes, can you not pick my nose? I was like, I wasn't picking your nose. It wasn't a booger. You know what men do not like? Men don't like it when we're at a wedding, okay? Somebody else's wedding and you're sitting there and your wife notices something on your face, licks her thumb and starts to clean it. Yeah. I didn't do that. It's so emasculating. What am I, six? Am I six years old? I was trying to help him out, but I couldn't. We'd be quiet at the wedding. There was a ceremony happening.
So I couldn't be like, hey, babe, you have something on your face. But you do acknowledge women do do that. Oh, yeah. I've never done the thumb lick. You haven't? Thumb lick will get you. That's a mom move. You have? Oh, yeah. I don't mind if we're, but it makes me feel like I'm not a guy. I want to be like, I'm a grown person. You're a grown man. I don't really do it when there's like, if we were sitting at a table of people, I would not do it. But if it was like, if we were walking down the street, I would do it. I didn't think anyone, everyone was focused on the bride and groom, not us. Yeah, not a big deal. We're just some insignificant guests. Yeah, I would have done that. It doesn't matter. He can feel the... There was no judging. Judging. He feels inwardly like neutered. You neutered him. He took his balls off. Yeah, he took his testicles off with your movements. He already felt out of place because as we were getting out of the car, we realized that there was a rip. On the seam of his pants. Where? Right along the seam. So the last time he took him to the dry cleaner, I guess something happened. You mean like where it gets hemmed at the bottom? No, around the knee. Right on the side here where it runs up. See? Right by his knee? Yeah, it had split. And so when he was driving, I noticed it. So he had his hand at the entire ceremony. Had his hand on the hole. Is there anything worse? Next time, were you at a hotel? Yeah. You just asked the hotel for a little sewing kit?
I know, and usually I keep that stuff in my purse, but it was a wedding, so you do the condensing of the thing. Can you imagine people going, oh, look at that poor young man with his holy pants. I can't afford a new pair of pants. I know, I was like, babe, just say you were getting out of the car and it ripped. Yeah, you ripped it. I would have found a stapler and stapled him up. He was trying to get electrical tape, and I was like, come on! Speaking of men and women, I'll tell you a story that just disgusted the women. Oh, yeah. My wife, L.O.B., Sienna, all the women that were at the house on Friday night. Filthy, filthy pigs. See, I don't think it's filthy. It's lazy, but my wife thought it was filthy. All the girls thought it was filthy. It's brilliant in my book. It's disgusting. Woods admitted it, and I said, I've done it. No. You did worse than that. He was setting up the story and you're like, I know what you did. And I've done it. And he said, yeah. Before he was even done. You predicted it. It was awesome. It was disgusting. It was amazing. Woods was talking about how sometimes he's too lazy to go downstairs and take his food plate downstairs. His example was Chinese food. His example was Chinese food. And I go, I know where you're going. And he goes, what? I go, you flush it down the toilet. And he goes, yeah.
They take the food that they don't eat because they know they can't just leave it in the bedroom. It will smell. And they couldn't possibly walk it downstairs and bring it to the sink because that's so far away. It's ridiculous. So what do they do? They stand up and go to the upstairs bathroom, scrape it off, and flush it down the toilet. What's wrong with that? Then what? It's filthy. Then what? It's like poo-poo. No, it's worse. It's disgusting. It's just like poop. No, it's not. What's the difference? It's food. It's a solid. It's meant to go down. What if you clog the toilet and then there's like... Better than poop? General Tso's chicken. Poop breaks down. Hang on, hang on. Water chest, let's break down. Woodsy, I don't know your technique with this, but I don't flush, you know, big items. Nor do I. What I flushed the night... Chinese food is perfect. Orange chicken, flush? No, no. Sienna, there was no chicken in there. I ate what I wanted. There was some rice, some sauce, some water chestnuts, a little bit of broccoli, and that was it. Perfect. I would have ruined Chinese food for myself forever. If I saw the visual of Chinese food in the toilet bowl, I'd never want to have rice again. If it was okay, then why is there a food disposal? Because it's all the way downstairs. No, because it grinds it up. That's good for some stuff.
But Chinese food's just like poo. No, it's not. I want to give him a plumber. Solid. This is normal. It's not normal. It's not good for your toilet. You're going to be sorry at some point. Well, wait a minute. I'm not saying that it's... I don't believe it's neither good nor bad. I think it's bad. I believe it's neutral. I don't do it all... And I don't do it all the time. Solid chunks of food will clog it. You guys, walking downstairs is like an extra 10 steps. Excuse me. It wouldn't hurt either one of you. Have you... This is a little graphic. I know. But have none of you ever thrown up? Oh, please. That's natural. What if you throw up Chinese food? That can clog your toilet. That can clog your toilet. Oh, so what are you supposed to do? Go get a throw up? No, you do what you do and you hope that it all works out. That's exactly what I did. But to purposely do that? That's what we do. Plus, then, okay. We hope. It all goes down. We wish it the best. Then Woods rinse it off in the sink. Rinse it off in the sink. How much longer does it take to just walk the thing down? Bathroom sink. Then if you rinse it off in the bathroom sink, little pieces are stuck in there. It's just rice. It's just little pieces of rice. What if I threw up in the sink? And it'll ruin my lazy buzz. You can't throw up in the sink. Don't throw up in the sink. My lazy buzz. I'm having a lazy buzz. Yeah, I'm watching the program. I'm all relaxed.
I'm watching a program. You should just finish it all until the point of being overstuffed and then lick the plate clean. Yeah. Because that's just as... It's way better. It's just as sophisticated as dumping your food in the toilet. Nothing wrong with it. Sienna, at this dinner, when this was announced, Sienna put her hand, she put her face into her hands, and L.O.B. looked at me and Woods. And my wife squinted. They all had this look on our face like we said, oh, yeah, what? You guys don't go doo-doo in aisle nine? You guys don't torture puppies? Yeah. Same thing. Not torture puppies, that's worse. Listen, if you get sick and you happen to go and you throw up, there's no difference. You wish it well. You wish it well. There's enzymes in your stomach that break down. Mike, when you throw up, you can't help it. That's where you go, to the toilet. That's what you do. You can't hold the throw up in. You can walk an extra few steps to a...
sink. It's really far. It's a long way. It's so far. You guys are not. You're going to walk all the way down. All the way down. Rinse the thing. Rinse it off. You know what? Rinse the sink. Maybe don't. Try to get comfortable. Don't eat in bed and you won't have that problem. It's filthy. How dare you? Eating in bed is filthy. I love eating in bed. I was tired. 5701949 if there's a man listening. That has done that. Oh, there are. There are. And don't you. I'm sure there are. It's disgusting. Don't be that. Don't be that guy. That guy. I'm so sophisticated. I'm so sophisticated. Are you? It's just civilized, really. Yeah, civilized. Oh, I'm so civilized. Chinese flushers. I know you're out there. Why are you eating in bed? Why are you eating in bed? That's the laziest thing I've ever heard. Ever. Spaghetti. I've done it. Oh, yeah. A hundred. A hundred. Do you just wake up with, like, marinara sauce on your back because you've eaten in bed? Mike is trying not to spit out your coffee. Rub your eyes and get tomatoes in it. What's that doing here? Just pesto on your lip? Yeah. Am I bleeding? Oh, no, it's just the tomato sauce. It's just my marinara for my cheese sticks. Why is there blood on my pillow? Oh, no, it's tomato sauce. It's ketchup. It's spaghetti. Wow. It's a brilliant move. Phones.
Oh, boy. Probably all against us. Hopefully to get you guys. Better not be. Better not be. Every woman. Oh, women. You're so cool. You're so delicate. You're so sophisticated. M1 Brian from San Marcos. Are you there? I'm here. Go ahead. laziest thing I've ever done. Thank you. Thank you, Brian. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Like Jay said, maybe you guys ought to just run up and down the steps a couple more. Yeah. Just for good measure. It's good for you. Oh, you're such an athlete. Oh, gosh. I can't see too well. Is that Carl Lewis over there? Maybe you guys just turn your stairs into an escalator, too, while you're at it. I play real sports, pal. I'm not trying to be the best at exercising. You take the empty plates into the shower with you to avoid having to take it. Oh, that's a good idea. Don't give him any idea. Mikey, in the shower. Then it all goes down the drain and you rinse it off at the same time. Anybody take coffee in the shower?
No. Put it up on the ledge. I have. No, that's weird. I've taken a beer in the shower before. I've taken a beer. That was at Mardi Gras. That was at Mardi Gras. Ever taken food in the shower? Ew, no. No, but I've eaten a sandwich on the toilet. You know that. Ew. I've eaten cereal on the toilet. That is disgusting. You've seen it. You've seen it. I know. I know. There's a saying. A lot of people do. You don't poop where you eat. Eat on the toilet. Thank you, L.O.B. I don't poop on the table. You don't poop where you eat. You don't poop where you eat. I don't poop on the table. Listen, I'm going to have an adult conversation with you people right now. I'm going to ask you a question. Yeah. Have you ever done it, Sienna? Yeah. Sienna. Yes. Let me talk to you. I've done it. I'm going to talk to you. Yes. I'm not proud of it, but I've done it. I don't listen. I'm not going to judge you. You're in the trust tree. I don't care. You're in the trust tree. I'm just telling the truth. Can I just ask? She hasn't slept in three days. We can get anything we want out of her. I'm just going to let it all out. Fine. I let it out. I need you to tell me. All right. Doesn't the smell of doo-doo get in the way of your tasty meal? Not at all. Not at all. Trust tree. Explain how it doesn't. I don't think about it. I don't think about it. Here's the thing. You don't have to think about it. It's there. I can taste it. I don't hang out on the toilet like guys do. If I am eating maybe a bowl of cereal, it's going to go soggy. I don't eat it on the toilet. I'll set it aside and I go quick and then I'm done. Do you guys not have any control that it's going to go soggy? I don't want to sogify my cereal.
Write that down. I don't know. I can't. I mean, is it really going to lose that much texture? A lot of crunch. You lose a lot of crunch. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. My mom is probably ashamed of me. You're not forgiven. You're not forgiven. No, you're not. My husband does not want to be with me anywhere. Have you eaten cereal on it? I don't know. I just know that I've done it. I don't remember what. I've eaten a six-inch Subway sandwich on there before, and it's delicious. I'm telling you, I don't do it. I've done it. If I drive by a farm and I can smell cow manure, I'm like, I can taste it. I can taste it. How are you going to have a Subway there? And that's just within a mile. I can't be in the bathroom. To me, that's like sitting in a pasture and having a bowl of spaghetti. Who does that? A friend of mine brought her husband a sandwich while he was on it. He don't know. Hey, babe! I would divorce. The two do not mix. Hey, baby! Oh, chill out. Bring me, hey! Hey, baby!
Bring me the rest of my sandwich. It's disgusting. You gotta flush first. You want those particles on there. It adds flavor. I ain't flushing. Get those particles on there. Let's stir up my mouth. It's disgusting. It is, but sometimes you just do it. Chris, keep all these calls because a lot of people are calling and telling us. I think I'm going to have lunch on the toilet today just because I can. Yeah, Mike, you are on your laptop the whole time. You're not eating, but you're having fingers. That's gross as well. And then you hold it up to your face later. You should wash your keyboard every day. You're making love to your iPad. It's gross to my face. Like, who takes their laptop? Your iPhone. Your fingers are on it. You say that most of the emails we get in the morning are from the toilet. That's true. That's equally as gross. Pod squad's coming in, but we got a 570-1949. At CarMax, we understand that honesty is the cornerstone of providing great customer service. However, we also understand that there are times when you're better off not being honest. For instance, when your best friend asks you if you think his fiancée is pretty.
You may not want to say she bears a striking resemblance to your Uncle Gary. One of our trained appraisers will conduct a thorough inspection and have an offer for you within 30 minutes. You can take up to seven days to think about it or walk away with payment in hand. Why treat your customers so well? It's just the right thing to do. CarMax, the way car buying should be. Hey, it's Mikey for AIS. You've noticed. just like all of us here in San Diego County, that it's been raining a lot more than usual. Slicker roads, accidents, that means auto insurance. You know that. And having the right combination of price and protection, that's important. Not only that, what about gas prices? They're high right now. You're probably looking into ways to save money. It's even more important now than ever. Call AIS today. Don't put it off.
Big news right now. Auto insurance rates, they've just dropped in California. And the good news for all California drivers, the California Department of Insurance, they just approved new lower rates for some of those big, major insurance carriers. So how do you take advantage of it? You could be paying less for auto insurance, but only if you know which insurance companies are reducing their rates and that's where AIS comes in. Give them a call. 800-777-4AIS. That's 800-777-4247. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I'm the opposite of a football player. Lauren. I love taking care of boyfriends when they're sick. Woods. I do know my way around the jail. Sienna. I like a beer belly. I'm going to tell you that right now. And Jay. Yes, sir. On FM 94.9. There ain't no grave can hold my body down. There ain't no grave can hold my body down. We're going to be talking to the pod squad in just a second, so don't go anywhere. And we're going to be telling you about what kind of tickets we have to give away for the pod race. So don't go anywhere.
We were just discussing the difference between men and women. Yep, one of the many. One of the many. And we were talking about how Friday night, the topic came up that Woods and I, if we're having some sort of a meal in our bedroom and we're too lazy to go downstairs to take the leftovers downstairs, we'll flush it down the toilet. Yeah, easy. Have you ever done it? My wife was disgusted. You have? Jared's done it. And a lot of men. Say again? My wife had a similar reaction. My wife was disgusted. I can just hear the orange chicken clunk. Chow mein just sprinkling in. It's not nearly... It's not even one billionth as disgusting as what normally is in there. You may have ruined Chinese food for me forever. I want some P.F. Chang's right now. I could ruin more than that. I've done spaghetti. I don't... 5701949. This is M1 Avocado Tom from Escondido. Are you there? I'm here. How are you guys? What's going on? All right. So I thought everybody or I'm sorry, I thought I was the only one that did the Chinese food flush, you know, a little bit of leftover rice or whatever it is. But living out in Albuquerque, I had a buddy that came and stayed with me and I walked past his his bathroom and one he's down on all fours.
In one hand, he's got a dripping wet taco, and his other hand is in the toilet bowl trying to force a burrito down. And this is one of those guys that lives by the phrase, if it's yellow, let it mellow. Oh, boy. Well, I don't understand why someone would go to that extent. I mean, because you're exerting more energy doing that than you would taking it downstairs. Well, you don't understand why somebody would not eat a burrito or a taco. Yeah, why would you waste that? Let's be honest with each other. Because I'm Hispanic. Correct. Got it. Got it. You've never flushed a burrito or a taco down. No, I haven't. Spaghetti, Chinese, all good. Not a burrito. I don't flush cheesecake or donuts down. That's true. Finish those. I finish those. Welcome Courtney, Roxy, and Jerry from... Loxie? Loxie, Loxie. No, you had it. Roxy, Loxie. I thought it was Roxy. No. It's okay. I respond to anything that rhymes. What? Loxie and I went to high school together. That is a true story. So the same, you know, in La Jolla, we have very different names. Sienna and Loxie. Sienna and Loxie. Let's hear from them. They're in the studio. Yeah! Go Pods. Go Pods. And when they're in the studio, that means the Padres are back.
And the Padres are in business and we are excited. And they brought some stuff in here, man. They got this. Now, is this like the first official? Like Media Guide? Yeah, that's the first blueprint of the season. So last year we made a switch from more of a traditional program to this blueprint. It's free to all fans. There's a new one every homestand. So we have roughly about 13 of them. And the content changes, the stories change, the interviews change. So rather than just having a season-long program, this is a lot more relevant content that changes every homestand. It says laser-focused on 2011. It's got a picture of Heath Bell. That's right. Just looking mean. In our new military camo. How often will we see the military camo? Every home Sunday. Every home Sunday. So cool. Had them for a long time. We actually switched them up this year. And these are the new Marine. These are the Marine digitized, if you can say that three times fast, uni. So they'll be out there for the first time this Sunday when we take on the Dodgers military opening day. You know what those say? Hard ass. Yeah. Hard ass. Yeah. It looks good on Heath, man. Look at that. Dude.
That's pretty awesome, man. That is awesome. So, well, we're excited, man. We're really excited. And what did you guys want to tell us about in terms of opening day, Loxie? Well, we wanted to tell you guys. So we've got a huge homestand, this first homestand. We've got the Giants coming in for two games, Tuesday, Wednesday. And we've got Thursday off and the Dodgers coming in Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And then the Reds coming in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. So we've got a full week of baseball and then some for you. So on opening day, we're actually giving away those T-shirts that I put on your chairs behind you there. So it's got an SD over the heart right where it belongs. And then the Coronado Bridge and the Skyline on the other side. The red shirt. It's so cool. Super red shirt. So cool. And it's not just a shirt you wear to the game. I mean, this is a shirt for everyday wear. It's a nice shirt. I can wear it to the office. Whoever came up with this shirt is good and should be given a raise because this is cool. We'll work on that. And then we've got Jason Mraz singing the national anthem on opening day.
We got a ton of stuff going on that day. And that's actually already sold out, that game. But we want to get everybody in there, too, for the Wednesday game. We're giving away our schedule clings that Woods is already fixed to the countertop here. That's my new schedule. Now, will these things stick anywhere? You can pull it off, though. And it's a cling. Right on. So we've got those for the first 25,000 fans. Then we take the day off Thursday and we're back on Friday with the Dodgers in town and Friday night game. We're giving away rally towels. We've got fryer works going on. And then we're also, well, here's the selling point. Fiesta Mexicana. Mikey. Party at the park. Party at the park. We've got mariachis. There's going to be a low rider showcase. Mikey. I know. It's going to be, we've got Sonora dogs, which are like our, our hot dogs are like the bacon wrap craziness. Street tacos.
He does not flush those down the toilet. I would not. I would not. And then fireworks post-game on Friday as well. Oh, nice. Friarworks. Yes. Friarworks, right? Friarworks. Friarworks. I like it. Can I, if I go out to the game, would I be allowed to wear my poncho or is that? We encourage it. That is allowed. That is allowed. Okay. Then Saturday we're giving away our mesh caps, our little SD version of a trucker hat right here. It's pretty cool. Can I try it on? Yes. Very cool. And then we go into Sunday, Kids Day. First 8,000 kids get a Heath Bell poster. Jasper? 14 and under. Breakfast at the park, signings, that whole deal. And then the military opening day we talked about with the new... I got a 19-year-old that I'm going to put in a baby barn so that I can take him in there and tell everybody that he's a baby and get a free Heath Bell poster. You're getting it. Even though he's 19. Correct. So, Courtney, what else? What else can you tell us? Monday night is actually industry night. We're bringing it back again this year. For all the industry people in the restaurant bars and stuff, it's a night where they can come and be social with everybody. You'll have a special section. You can purchase a ticket for $22, and you actually get two drink tickets with that. So, $22. Think there'll be any little angels in there? DJs will be there. It's just a fun night to come and meet lots of people because you're not working. That's cool. Yes, and then, of course, the Reds are in town for Monday, Tuesday, and then finishing up on Wednesday. Question.
When is media night? Media night. Media night? Yeah. Is there a sex thing as media? We'll find out. You'll let me know. Because you're wearing our Padre hat. This year, I will actually be able to participate. Remember last year, I had that broken tip of my finger. I couldn't hit. Now, I'm putting one out. I'm going to put one out this year. Really? Yeah, I'm putting one out. It's great. You've been waiting all year. I've literally been waiting for a year to feel grounders. I didn't get to do anything. I'm so bummed. Was that a surfing accident or something? Yeah, surfing accident. There you go. Great memory. Quote, unquote. Yeah. Paddling. It was a paddling accident. Courtney, Loxie, and Jared, thank you guys. Did we miss anything? Because if we did. The only thing I would say, Mikey, is if you were one of those lucky few to have a ticket for opening day tomorrow, get down there early. Block party's starting as early as 10 a.m., but it's going to, you know, with a 3.30 game with 42,000-plus people there, it's going to be pretty hectic. So get down there early. Get some parking. The pedestrian bridge is now open, so that will make it easier for people to get over there as well. So I just want to encourage everybody to get down there early. And the Padres were cool enough to give us a pair of tickets that tomorrow we will be giving away for opening day. No, tomorrow. Giving away tomorrow for Wednesday. For Wednesday. For Wednesday. That is correct. Ladies and gentlemen, don't go anywhere. We still have a lot of stuff to do. Take your calls and...

They say that the sense of smell is the most evocative of all the senses, which means lingering somewhere in your brain's memory center is a smell that always makes you happy. And there's a very good chance that smell is attached to some sort of food. Maybe it's your grandmother's rhubarb cobbler or your dad's special omelet or the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich your sister made on your parents' bowling night. So Kaiser Permanente suggests, why not cook it for yourself? Fill your kitchen with a smell that you remember. Bake that cobbler in Nana's memory. Invite your sister over for a grilled cheese. Dig out your family's favorite recipes. While cooking can be therapeutic, cooking with a meaningful recipe is a moving experience. It's a visit with old friends, long-gone relatives, a way to sit down at a table with your past. And it smells so good. Kaiser Permanente invites you to cook something you remember and thrive. Okay, so a couple of things that I have not mentioned yet that I want to mention to you. First of all,
Sienna got her iPad. She sure did. iPad 2. Nice. I was never even like an Apple person. Now I am. All the way. Well, I don't even, I never had, I don't have a laptop really except for this one here at work, but I don't have any. Which is a what? A PC, right? Uh-huh. And I don't have, you know, the MacBook that all you guys have. How do you enjoy that PC? Does it have a freeze or? Do you ever try to print stuff and it doesn't work and just freeze up on you at like 4 o'clock in the morning? It freezes on me. What? How many times a day? At least four times a day. Happy birthday though, PC. And I get pop-ups constantly. Yeah, yeah, pop-ups. Viruses. Oh, like you wouldn't believe. On Safari, they, you know, on Mac, they have this little button you press and it just says...
pop-up blocker and you never get them. You need to show me that. So I literally, I got this yesterday. It was my birthday and my husband and my dad both got me this iPad. So today I get to play with it. I want to know this story about Woodsy, but... We have to save it. Well, yeah, we have to save it because it's time to go. I'll put it in there tomorrow. We'll get to it tomorrow. It's really... You guys are going to have a field day with this one. Woods hung out with... Trevor Hoffman this weekend. I did. I did a benefit for the Nativity School, which is the school where his kids go. Actually, I think Mike Sweeney's kids go there. He wasn't there. A lot of sports guys' kids go there. And our friends Dom and Amy, their kids go there. So they asked me to be the emcee. Full tuxedo. Black tie Monte Carlo party. And your boy, your boy did some stuff. It was embarrassing. No, I wasn't embarrassing. Weren't you? They asked me back. They asked me to do it again next year. They did? Yeah. I got a lot of people coming up saying, that was great. You did such a good job. Will you come back next year? Define they. The women that put on the deal. His wife. No, no. Trevor Hoffman's wife was one of them. Mark Katze's wife was another. You're good in front of a crowd. I like being in front of a crowd. Kid's a ham. I do not mind it one bit.
Did some stuff that is pretty freaking funny. If you do say so yourself. Well, it was, it was, it was schtick. If I could have given myself an award. I'll give myself a 10. I'll give myself a 10. If my arms were longer, I'd just keep patting myself on the back. It was, it was interesting. You're pretty awesome. I'm pretty amazing. Yeah. Wait, here's your horn. Do you want to toot it? I could easily say I'm the coolest person I know. Fair enough. Well, Trevor and I were talking and, you know. Oh, God, Trevor. Here you go. Here's your horn. Thanks, I love B. You toot it. How does your head fit in that hat? Pretty easily. Hi, Hill. Hi, guys. How are you? Hi. How are you? So. I'll have to tell you about it tomorrow. All right. I was an idiot. I'd made an ass of myself, which is I've been known to do. When Woods is in front of baseball players, he's been known to. be a boundary crosser. Yeah. He'll cross some boundaries, you know. He'll be like, hey, is it okay if I come over to your house and sleep in your bed with you tonight? Yes. And not your wife. Just you. Just you. Me and you. Watch a movie. Yeah. Watch Soprano. Hey, is it okay if I, would it be weird if I smelled your neck? It'd be weird if I take like a stray hair out of your brush. Yeah. And just smell it. And just smell it and put it in a Ziploc bag and with a Sharpie right on the bag.
Trevor Hoffman's hair. Not to be confused with any other of the hair samples that I have. I think it'd be safe to say I'm a jock sniffer. Yeah. Let's save that. We don't have to. That's like a replay constantly. Put me up on a spit today. You put yourself on that spit. And you know it. You know that you did. I was pretty freaking funny, Maki. I didn't say I was funny. What I did was funny. Yes, you did. No, I didn't. Run the tape. Run the tape. Roll. What I did was funny. I hate you right now. Sprint the tape. I want to pop this ball she's sitting on so bad. Don't you dare. More than anything. Please. No. Can I? Of course not. No. Don't ask him. Ask me. It would be inappropriate than I do. No. She's sitting on a... Exercise ball. Exercise ball. Oh, Hillary, what do you have coming up next? What did I grab? Monster. No effects. New Licky Lee. Death Cab for Kitty. Black Joe Lewis and the Honey Bears. Black Keys. Black Keys. Radiohead. Yes. And then the battle at noon. I just heard you guys talking about that. Who are you calling for? Are you allowed to say?
Yeah, I think so, because everybody's still going to vote for their favorite. It doesn't matter what I think. But The Clash. I love The White Stripes, but The Clash are The Clash. They're one of my favorite bands ever. And I love The White Stripes. That's tough. So that'll start at noon, the championship round. If you met The Clash in person, would you say, Hey, listen, Clash, I want a piece of your hair. Give me your guitar, too. Hey, Clash. Can you maybe play into my cell phone for my answer machine? I asked Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran to leave. Well, this was for a girlfriend. To leave a message for her. That's cool. Because my friend and I used to worship. That's a gift. It's a gift. You're doing for someone else. So that's fun. What if I had said, hey, Trevor wants to be on Be Different? Would that be crossing a boundary? Charity. Get. It's a charitable thing. I'm a charitable thing. That is true. Bye, Celine. Bye, Celine. I hate you all. Charity thing. He's on a roll. He doesn't lie. Never has. Oh, my gosh. You're the best, dude. We'll tell this story tomorrow. I'm not. You're a turn addict. I'm not. I'm not doing anything.
Lillian Thompson and Hillary's up next. And we will come back here and do this again tomorrow morning at 6. Mikey shows out late. Boom. Lincoln Financial Radio Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music. All FM 94.9. It's about the music.
