Monday April 5, 2010
The cast talks about the earthquake on Easter Sunday and their different experiences with it. News of a poor ostrich loose in San Diego is taken down by cops. LOB, Jay, Mikey, and Woods went surfing and Woods nearly killed himself on the walk back up the cliff. A M1 calls in to tell about his awkward trip to a nude beach. Woods refuses to mention the Yankees losing to the Red Sox during Woods on Sports, but tells the weird Tiger Woods kindergarten story. Mikey announces the M1 Meet & Greet Sticker party. 911 call of a dog who stole a car featuring “Officer Weener” is next. Dude Yer Dumb takes on ponytail guy, texter guy, etc. Lauren talks about getting hit on while pumping gas. Next we get a lesson on how to eat wings and shrimp. The Kid busts a rhyme with Vanilla Ice and Sienna loves herself some Yum Yum donuts. WoW (no, not World of Warcraft you geeks, Woods of Wisdom) sees The Kid doll out the dating advice that involve breaking the bro-code and how to get over a heartbreak. What makes you weird? Sienna gives energy saving tips that irritate Mikey. Hoyle declares he’s a radio genius and to prove drops some more hilarious Yo Mama jokes. Steven Tyler and Neil Diamond audio from Fenway Park makes Woods cringe, then Neil comes on to defend himself, but Pepper gets his goat! Sienna reads a list of mistakes dudes make on dates. The girls get upset and propose a “female free” Mikey show before Name That Tune game begins. Woodsie wins anyway.

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. I was just looking at Sienna's musical playlist today. Wow. I love when the reaction is, yeah, yeah, yeah with your music. Are we in for a treat today or what? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Welcome to the show. It's a Monday. It's a Mikey show. Our phone number here, 570-1949. Text us to 949mikey at gmail.com. So much to talk about, obviously, with the earthquake yesterday in Mexico. So we'll be hitting that up, talking to you about that. You can talk about that. You can talk about anything that is on your mind. So, you know, topics are up to you. 570-1949. Five people on the Mikey Show. Myself.
Our boy, Woodsy, who does sports for us. Pepper O'Brien. She is our assistant producer. We have the gorgeous and lovely Sienna. Thank you. Wow. That's right. Quite an intro. I like to mix it up. I'll call you gorgeous and lovely every once in a while. I feel like a turd right now. Yeah, seriously. Woodsy's looking good, man. He's got the stuff in the hair. What do you use on there? Crew fiber. Crew fiber, of course. You know that. And then we got our boy Jay. And Jay is our producer. You get to talk to Jay if you call in because he also serves as our phone screener. So you can call us right now. Fingers still numb. Did some acupuncture over the weekend for the back. And it worked. My back doesn't really hurt so bad. But my fingers are still tingly. Don't know why. Doesn't have anything to do with the back, I found out. So I have tingly fingers for no reason at all. Not normal at all. But neither am I. Some Mikey side effects. That's right. What's the bit with fingers? We now have three injured fingers on our squad. Yeah. I got tingly fingers. Yep. You pulled your finger surfing. I almost lost a finger surfing. Literally. Yeah. And it tore the nail off, right? No, the nail's still on, but it hurts so bad. And Pepper did something to her nail. No. Sienna, what'd you do? I just went to the little mini fridge and stuck my snack in there and slammed the door on my finger.
What the hell's going on? Ouch. I was rushing. So, well, let's talk about the earthquake. Let's get into it because I did not feel it. What? I didn't. Depending on where you were, different people didn't feel it. Didn't either. Wow. I thought like everyone without a doubt was going to have felt it. Well, what's so weird too is that my parents were over at our house and we were getting ready to go over to some friends and they were in the car. They felt it. And we were getting the kids ready. We didn't feel it. In the car they felt it? They felt it. That was my excuse because I was driving back from getting my wings at Hooters. Yeah. And I got home and all these people were standing in the street. I'm like, what's going on? So I walk up and I had to avoid my neighbors. Yeah. And so I like slunk up to my apartment really quickly. I walked inside. I had, I don't know, 75 messages on my Facebook. Woodsy, you okay? Your first earthquake. How? I'm like. What are these people talking about? Then I lay on my bed. I felt the aftershock. Pepper, did you feel it? I felt like a little queasy. Like all of a sudden, I thought I stood up too quickly. I was like, whoa. But then everyone at the, I was at an Easter brunch and everyone started flipping out. Really? Yeah. But you didn't feel it. I mean, I did. Had you had some cocktails?
Yeah. I figured as much. I had a mimosa or two, but that's besides the point. You're Irish. It's okay. That's right. That's right. How did that second one hit you, Woodsy? Scared me to death. Yeah? To death. I was laying on my bed, and I had my laptop on my big, fat belly, and my bed just started to shake. And I'm like, and then I was like, oh, my God, oh, my God. And then I wrote, I was like, was that an aftershock? And everyone's like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. on my Facebook. Can you just see Woods' face? Yeah. Oh, my goodness. It shook. I mean, like, shook, shook. Yeah. Did it scare you? Yeah, it scared me to death. First earthquake? Yeah. Yeah. That was the first real one that I've felt, felt. Like, I was sitting in my parents' living room, the whole family's there, and Todd was the first to go, do you guys feel that? Then all of a sudden, everything started swaying, and my whole family just sits there like, Whoa, it's an earthquake. Whoa, check this out. I can feel it. And we didn't even move. No one thought to go outside or go into a doorway or anything. Jay Bird, did you get some? Yeah, I was actually filing papers when it happened. No way. Weird. And I thought at first, I thought I snapped a vessel in my brain. I was like, uh-oh, going out like Elvis. Going out like Elvis. Nope. Oh, no. And then I hear from the other room, I hear Jasper going, woo!
Best time of his life. Oh, yeah. He's like, make it do it again. No, thank you, pal. You're going to get into a doorway or outside. I'll throw you in the dryer if you want to feel like that. So what did it turn out to be, Sienna? Where was it at and how big was it? It was a 7.2-er. That's big, man. That is the 89 Loma Prieta World Series size. Yeah, that's what that one was. It was the largest earthquake to strike in this region in nearly 18 years. Yeah, man. Weird. Weird. You get here. Right when I move here. Of course. I actually thought that yesterday. I'm like the Grim Reaper, dude. Just walking around with my sky in front of my back, just looking for people to mess up. Yeah, it struck about 38 miles southeast of Mexicali. And yeah, followed up by three aftershocks, 5.1, 4.5, and a 4.3 aftershock. CNN was showing swimming pools and the water coming out of the swimming pools because obviously somebody was recording it as it happened. Yeah, that was in Hemet. When things happen now, instant. Yeah. Instantly get to see it. You know, unlike even 10 years ago where when stuff happened, you heard a report about it, but you didn't see it. People have fancy phones now. Yeah, they do. Record immediately. Oh, I had an allergic reaction last night too.
I can tell your eyes. You look like it, dude. Do my eyes look kind of googly? Yeah. They look really puffy. Not googly. Yeah, puffy. They look sad. They're sad? Are you okay? Well, they're puffy. You know, my eyes puffed up. My eyes were really red, goopy. Yeah. It was awful. Lovely. What a weird Easter. Yeah. So weird. It was a weird Easter for us because, well, first of all, my mother-in-law has shingles. Perfect. Oh, yikes. So she was going to. spend Easter with us. And my wife, Rebecca calls her and says, are you coming over? She says, no, I found out I have shingles on my back. Now we know that shingles, if a little kid comes in contact, it gives them a chicken pox. And so immediately Rebecca wants to look at Jake and the twins. She starts looking at them and there's a little rash on Ryan's back. And she comes upstairs and says, I think Ryan has chicken pox. Here's the story. And I'm like, oh, great. We're going to lose Ryan. Okay, we've got to do something right now. This is tragic. And we're both running around like chickens with our heads cut off. Yeah. You've got Care Flight on the line. They're flying copters in. For real. For real. Cutting holes in the roof. Yeah, basically. And so we get a hold of the pediatrician who says, take it easy. You're fine. So everything's okay. He doesn't have chicken pox. If he did, this, this, this, this, this. And we're like, yeah, none of that. He goes, yeah, he might take it easy.
Maybe you guys try going to have some dinner. Try some baby aspirin. You'll be okay. Should throw some teething tablets in that guy. Maybe his shirt's too itchy. So nothing is wrong with him. Amazing. Nothing. Amazing. So 570-1949 is our number. I have a question. Yeah. Now, if you're an adult and you never got the chicken pox, is the shingles the form of chicken pox for adults? I think so. I think it is. I bet it is. That's what Dreeville told me. Yeah, because I know that when you're older, if you get it, it's supposed to be so much worse. Oh, yeah. That's why they have those chicken pock parties and stuff for little kids. Weird. That's weird. That's not weird at all. They have parties to give other kids. You bring your chicken pock. I would bring my cow there to get it over with. Oh, I would not. There's no way. No. Get it over with. Yeah, yeah, yeah. In fact, Sienna's the one that taught me this. I didn't even know that this happens. Yeah. They have something called chicken pox parties where one kid gets it and then they have a party where they bring all the other kids over to get it so that they get it over with. Yeah, my little sister, I forget what birthday it was, her fifth or something, and she was having a party and my mom had to call everyone the morning of the party saying, Avalon has the chicken pox, just a warning, you know, don't bring your kids if you don't want them to have them. And every parent showed up. Maybe one didn't with their kids, but everyone else wanted their kids to get it. Unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah, weird. I've never, ever, ever heard of that. Weird. Ever.
But I think she's right. And Dreevel, by the way, that's what we call our program director because he looks just like Dr. Evil. We just condensed it to Dreevel. Dreevel. Which sounds a little better than Dr. Evil. For sure. He had his shingles and he gave both of his boys chickenpox. Yeah. Both of them had it. How strange. And he got the, well, he thinks he may have got the shingles from hitting his head on a lemon tree burner. That's so weird. What? What's going on? So weird. You sit there and you try to make sense of it. You're like, oh, yeah, totally. You know what? Since I've hired you, I've gotten chicken pox. I've gotten shingles. Both my kids had chicken pox. We're having earthquakes over here. What the hell's going on? It's true. Oh, man. I felt so left out not feeling that thing yesterday. I've never seen Facebook blow up so quickly. Oh, my gosh. I know. I was standing right next to Matt, and he was like, what? I didn't feel anything. And you're like, yeah, that's because you've been down in mimosas for the last hour and a half. Did you guys hear about the ostrich loose in San Diego? No, I wish I did. That's the greatest thing ever. Yeah? Now, this thing was spotted in Chula Vista. Apparently, it was first seen on the loose Saturday night in someone's backyard. Are you kidding? Yeah, they see this bird. They said that it's 5 feet, 5 inches, 5'5", and it weighs 100.
Yeah. Of course. Little Mikey running around the backyard. Yeah, it's me with feathers. And it weighs 150 pounds. Not me. Not me. I mean, it's a pretty good-sized bird. If you saw that in your backyard, you'd not think it was the Easter Bunny that much. Basically, 5'5", as a human being, should weigh 150 pounds. So that... Ostrich is actually a very healthy human being. Yeah. It's like a high school kid. Yeah. Yeah. But the person who saw it in their backyard called 911. They said, look, there's some weird looking bird. I think it might be a peacock. By the time the cops came, it was gone. And then they found it again on Sunday morning. How do you not know the difference? I don't think you're like, what are the odds of you seeing an ostrich in your backyard? What are the odds of you seeing a peacock in your backyard? That's a good point. No, dude. No, it's not that. That's a... Oh, man. No. It's an ostrich. They don't even look anything like a peacock. Yeah, so it was spotted again Sunday morning wandering through Discovery Park. Of course it was. Officers saw it, and also there was animal control there. There was like four different officers that had cornered this poor thing. They had it up against a wall, then they got it. Freeze.
Yeah. This is sad. I don't like this. They frisked it? No. They tased it? They tased it. No, they didn't do anything really bad, but just from the picture, they have it pinned down. Oh, come on. They pinned it down. They tied its legs. Well, they have to. Do they? I guess. Well, if you don't, he'll get away. Yeah, run it up in the back of a truck or something, dude. Really? Pin it down. They tied his legs, and they put a covering over its head. Oh. I know, and he was struggling and kicking. They don't want to hurt him. They don't want him to peck. Yeah. Now he's with animal control. He was carried away to the animal control truck. You see one of the cops with his knee on his throat holding him down. Yeah. Don't tase me, bro. Don't resist me. Don't you resist me. Don't do it. It does say one of the sergeants did report that the bird was unharmed, but one officer suffered either a scratch or a bite on the finger. Do we know what? Do we know? Do we know? Where did it come from? Why? Where did it come from? No idea? No, no one knows where it came from. They got an Escondido and stuff. They do? Yeah. Well, what was it doing? Hitchhiking from Escondido to Chula Vista? What was it doing in Chula Vista? Probably. That's the dangers of hitchhiking. Yeah. Right there for all of us to see. Little bird. They don't. I'm looking over the story. They have no idea where it came from. They don't know. Somebody's missing a pet today. Yeah.
Why would somebody own an ostrich? Why not? Meat. The eggs and the meat. And the meat. They're everywhere. Ostriches are delicious. They are? Yeah. Ostrich steak? Delicious. All out by the Wild Animal Park, there are thousands of them out there. Oh, my God. He does have his knee on his throat. I know. Good Lord. Dude, they're trying to help him. Dude, that's a big, grown-ass man with his knee on that skinny little throat. Good God. They know what they're doing, man. Okay, you said that ostrich steak is delicious. It is delicious. And you're mad about this guy having him. Because they kill them humanely. They don't tase them and put zip ties on them. Do they? Don't they? What do they do? I don't know. Yeah. They give them a Xanax to relax them. How can you even tell that's a bird? I know. It looks like a fur coat or something. I thought it looked like a rubber chicken. A rubber chicken or a Muppet. Let's see. How was your Easter? You can call us, 570-1949. This is M1 Redbeard. Hi. Hey. You guys talk really fast. I feel like it's old news already, but the other thing, I slept right through it. Didn't feel a thing. And for the shingles thing, my girlfriend actually got shingles this last summer. And it's supposed to be something that if you get it when you're a kid, you're supposed to get it when you're older, like in your 50s, 60s maybe. Really? But she's like 22 and she got it.
Have you ever had chicken pox? I don't know. No, you'd know, bro. You'd know. Red Beard, you'd know, dude. Yeah. I've got scars from that. Me too. You guys have scars from that? Yeah. Under one of my eyes. Really? You're not supposed to itch. I know. I had it when I was a kid, and I remember they put that little pink stuff on there. Calamine. Yep. Calamine. Did you take an oatmeal bath, too? No. I did that. I do that now. Yeah, Pepper does that now. It's very relaxing. And he eats the bathwater. Eats the bathwater with a little brown sugar and raisins. Yeah, you would know Redbeard for sure. I had it. It didn't bother me so much when I was a kid. I got the day off school. They put the little calamine. It's great. I hear it's awful, but I don't know. A lot of stuff happened when I was younger, and, like, it's just. I've been lied to and all sorts of fun stuff. I've been lied to. Did you just say lots of things happened when I was a kid and I've been lied to? His parents maybe don't know. I have one really good story about my thumb that is pretty unique. And because of that story with my thumb that I'm not sure what's going on anymore. So it's like, I don't know. I might have had chicken pox, might not have. I don't know. All right. It's an old family secret, Red Beard. None of that.
Makes sense necessarily, Redbeard, but you know what, man? Hopefully you don't get shingles. Good luck. We love you anyway. We love you, dude. We love you. Get it together on Monday morning. That's right. Maybe we can have a segment on Redbeard. Fact or fiction? Fact or fiction. You got to figure it out. Figure out whether or not. The lies that his parents told him. Yeah, his family would have to call in. Then this one is a trip. This ambulance chase. You guys hear about the ambulance chase here in town? Great San Diego stories over the weekend. It really was. Well, apparently on Friday, a man was found drunk. It was either Friday or early Saturday morning. It isn't specifically stated here. Found drunk, taken to Sharp Hospital in a private ambulance. He later, Saturday morning, checked himself out of the hospital, was walking out, sees an unattended fire department ambulance with keys in the ignition. What is this brilliant man named Paul John Sauce? Try to do. Get out of here. No, it wasn't. It's SOS. It was Paul Captain Morgan was his name. SOS. Someone help me. Well, he hopped on in the ambulance, turned the keys on, started driving away.
The brilliant, brilliant man doesn't realize. You said his name was Paul Hooch. Is that what you said? Paul Hooch. Paul Moonshine. Paul Moonshine. Exactly, exactly. Paul Boons. Hopped in the ambulance. He doesn't realize, hello, it's an ambulance that has a GPS installed into it. Police quickly found it. He refused to stop. It turned into a chase. Oh, no. Yes, and then the police outsmarted him. They put spike stripes. It's not too hard at that point. It's not that hard. Maybe the dumbest dude around. They put the little spike strips on the street in a residential area where he was driving. So, obviously, once he hit the spikes, it can really go far. Every time I see those slow speed chases, I always think to myself, dude. You're not going to get away. No, and you're in a giant ambulance with a GPS. There's a helicopter above you, man. Are you going to outrun that? You're not. It's not going to work out. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com. Big basketball stuff over the weekend. We went surfing on Friday. I cannot wait to hear about that. We did. Yeah, we did. It was Jay and Woodsy and Pepper and me.
Well, Sienna's pregnant. She can't get out there and be surfing. But it was really fun. And I walked down stairs. And that was... Those stairs. That's the worst part of surfing. I dread the walk back up to the car. Because I'm like... I slipped and fell. Remember when I slipped and fell? I almost broke my neck. Matt was like, are you guys going to talk about that on the air? I'm like, that was near death. I don't know if that's even funny. You were either behind me or way in front of me. And I was carrying that... 90,000 pound board. Yeah. The 70 footer. Yeah. On my head. Yeah. Up the stairs. Yeah. And my foot hit the edge of the stair and I slipped forward. His little booty slipped. And I, the board pitched forward. I pitched forward. I was like, I'm going to die. You have no hands to catch yourself. Yeah, no hands to catch myself. Well, he put his hands, the board somehow like stayed, I was thinking that the board was going to fly back at me because his hands went down instinctively to catch his fall. Uh-huh. But the board was like, the board was like pinning him down. Yeah. It was awful.
Oh, my gosh. What in the world happens to you, my friend? Name it. He goes, of course. Weird. Can anything ever just be normal for me? No. No, it can't. I wish video cameras followed you around all the time. That would be the greatest reality show ever. It's fantastic. M1 Mean Gene. Hey, what's up, guys? How y'all doing? Where are you located? I just got back in Oslo this morning. You just got back where? Oslo, Norway. You're in Oslo, Norway? Last time he called from Barcelona. Really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. How was that whiskey on the beach? Dude, I partied so much, man. This is crazy. This guy's a friend of ours on the Facebook fan page for The Mikey Show. He called us on Friday from Barcelona, Spain, where he had been partying, having a little whiskey, and now you're calling us from Oslo, Norway. Yeah, this is where I work at. I'm here for another week and a half, and then I make it back to Georgia next...
April 13th is when I go back. The state or the country? Yeah. I'm going to guess the state with that accent. Yes, me too. What were you calling about? Man, bro, what I didn't tell you guys on Friday is the reason why I was calling you is because I was coming back from the beach. The reason I was coming back from the beach it was an early day was because I didn't realize that the beach was a nude beach. You didn't realize the beach that you went to and... In Spain? No, I didn't get the memo. Nobody forwarded me the email on that. Of course. It's completely legal to be nude on any time on the beach. So what's the problem? Did you take it off and just join the party or what? That's why I went back to the room. Because I was like, there's no way I'm just going to strip down right in here. So I got to go back. I got to get ready. Some manscaping? Yeah, I got to get prepared. I'm serious. I'm in the room for an hour trying to figure out what I could do to make my body not look like my body. I think you did the right thing. Whiskey. I think that's exactly how you do it. Well, with the whiskey, I only came up with two solutions, and that's push-ups and a trim, if you know what I mean. Gross. Weird. Well, hey, dude, did you see anything good?
Oh, dude, dude, okay, so. Yeah, a bunch of old white guys, right? Was it old white dudes? Dude, he's in Barcelona. Dude, I'm telling you, like, I go back to the beach, and I, you know, I don't want to, because I'm still dressed. I'm the only, you know, dude there that's not, you know, that's still dressed. I feel like a weirdo because I'm the only guy with clothes on. Yeah. So I'm thinking, okay, okay, I could fly solo, put my cooler and my towel down, and I could fly solo. I could get near a group, and no one, because, dude, I'm telling you. I feel like I'm on Broadway about to give a concert with my genitals. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. I sit beside this group and the group is like, there's probably like nine or ten of them. They're really young looking. They're so hot. Dude, Spanish people are so hot. It's ridiculous. I'm totally surprised because in America, it's not young, good-looking people. It's always older dudes. Hey, dude, we got to take a break. Thank you, Mean Gene. I appreciate it, dude. See you, brother. I love Mean Gene. Love him. The guy lives a charmed life. That's right. Sienna's picking the music. I love me some Jason Derulo.
Donovan McNabb has a new home. If you don't know about this, we'll tell you what team he's going to. And guess what? They're not called the Raiders. And wait till I tell you who the latest person to pile on to Tiger Woods is. This is a weird story. Weird, weird, weird. And when I heard it, I was like, I got to know more because it just doesn't make enough sense hearing it the way that I am. And then I heard more and I was like, it is what it is. It's weird. We'll do that in Woods on Sports coming up. And how about a little dude you're dumb? You got any dude you're dumbs? Call us. It's that guy. That's what dude you're dumb is. You call us and you go, you know the dude that does this at the ATM and da-da-da-da-da? That guy. That guy. I want to hear from you. 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Mikey Show now. Rex in effect. Rump Shaker. Oh, my goodness. Rump Shaker. Look at it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do it, Woodsy. Does that have a name, that dance? What? Roger Rabbit? Is that the Roger Rabbit? I don't know. Okay, but this, right? I mean, it's Monday morning. Yeah. All you need is Rump Shaker. I like it. Fair enough. Yeah, dog. So here's what I got to tell you. On Friday, The Mikey Show is going to be doing a meet and greet with you. Woo! And we're going to be giving you our brand new Mikey Show M1 sticker. And that's going to be happening on Friday. Yeah. I want to see you out there. Come on. I want to meet you. I want to meet you. I want to give you a big bro hug. I want to be on you. Thank you, Ron. I want to watch you all sleep. I want to wear your skin like a hat. Don't scare them. That's right. So we'll tell you about it coming up just after. I'm stoked. Just after seven o'clock, we're going to be telling you about it. Want to hear our new little piece of audio that we have that we'll be playing from time to time? It's a little kid from the Little Wiz Pop Quiz with Sienna. What's his name, Jay? The kid we talked to, the kid we interviewed was Chase. Chase. What's the laughing guy's name? The laughing one was, I think his name is Keone. Keone. Yeah. That's fantastic. Oh my goodness. Cute. So there it is. And why don't we do a little bit of this? Because there's so much I need to know about. There's a ton. what's going on in the world of sports. There's a lot of stuff happening out there. And then there were two, Michael. There are two teams left in college basketball for the championship game is tonight, and it is going to be Butler taking on Duke. The Cinderella story, Butler from Indianapolis. They're going to be playing on their home court. I got a root for them tonight that's going to be awesome. Here is their head coach, 33-year-old Brad Stevens, on his squad. Cut one.
Guys really, really dug in. We had a lot of guys that had to and did a great job. And, you know, this team and this program has been built on guys ready to come in and contribute to the good of the team. And it makes me proud to be their coach. He's only 33? Yeah. That's amazing. That's awesome. Isn't that great? Yeah. Also, Donovan McNabb, we talked about, he has a new home, and it is not in California. Yeah, we thought it was going to be Oakland, right? It's even worse. It's worse for Pep. I texted her immediately. He'll be playing in our nation's capital for the Washington Redskins. Deadskins. The Eagles got the 37th overall pick in this year's draft and either a third or fourth in next year's draft. Basically, the Redskins have the overall fourth pick in this year's draft. They're probably going to take a wide receiver. to help Donovan McNabb because they don't have a lot of talent in the receiving core. Pepper's an Eagles fan, so that's why she's so upset. She was so ready for fresh legs in Philly. I know. I was being a typical Philly fan. Now that it's actually solidified and he went to my least favorite team in the league, I am like...
It hurts. What do you think, Woodsy? You think that's a good move? Absolutely not, dude. Your quarterback now is Kevin Cobb. Well, we got Vic for a backup, so maybe. Great. So the starter will be Kevin Cobb, and the backup will be Michael Vick in Philly. What do you think about the Redskins? It's a great move. Yeah? Yeah, you got a veteran quarterback. You got Mike Shanahan. Okay, he's your new head coach. That's pretty salty, man. I think so, too. West Coast offense. It's a dead end. It's going to be pretty crazy. What else going on? How about this? Oh, it's so sweet. It's coming out of just my left ear. That's okay, dude. Don't worry about it. Seventh inning stretch. That's right. Are we all just... Everybody, if we can, just go over to the left side of the stadium. If everybody can just move to the left side of the stadium, please. We're going to balance it out. Well, today is opening day in baseball. It is my absolute favorite day of the year. More than my birthday, more than Christmas. More than your birthday? More than my birthday, like way more. Is that why you came in so happy this morning? Don't worry about it. The first place, San Diego Padres, will be taking on the Arizona Diamondbacks. Easy for me to say. The Arizona Diamondbacks. They should have their hands full, though, because the Diamondbacks will be throwing.
They're ace Danny Heron today. But the pods will counter with John Garland, who is their new acquisition. You going to talk about it last night? Yeah. The Padres have some really good young players and great managers. So you never know what can happen. But I want you to be in on it because it's your national fast time. Back it up. Why did you come in so grumpy this morning, Woods? Meanwhile... Are you not going to mention the Red Sox-Yanks? Meanwhile, this may be the weirdest story that you've ever heard. Okay, you guys need to follow me on this story if you will, right? Sorry. I can't believe you're not going to mention the Yankees and the Red Sox. Yeah. It's the biggest thing out there. What happened in that game, Mike? What do you mean? Well, he's a big Yankee fan. There's no game. And they lost. They lost to the Red Sox. They lost. Eject. Everybody eject right now. Okay? Oh, wow. Eject. He's going to get really mad. He's not going to talk about it. He's going to get mad. I'm scared. I want you guys to listen to this Tiger Woods story because it's going to trip you out. Okay? All right. So Tiger Woods, his kindergarten teacher, has hired Gloria Allred to refute some of Tiger Woods' accusations. All right. So Tiger Woods did some interviews years ago with Barbara Walters. He also told Charles Barkley about how he...
discovered what racism was. What he told Charles Barkley was a group of sixth graders tied me to a tree. They spray painted the N word and then threw rocks at me. That was on my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything. Well, the teacher, Maureen Decker, none too pleased about these accusations. Here she is talking about this whole ordeal. Cut for Mike. When Tiger Woods went on the talk show circuit, I was shocked, saddened. and disappointed by his false accusations of physical and racial abuse on his first day of school in my kindergarten class. I first heard Tiger's statements when he was interviewed by Barbara Walters. Shortly after that interview, I spoke with some teachers at Cerritos Elementary School, the principal, and the president of the Savannah Elementary School District Teachers Association. They all felt as I did, that the accusations were false. That. This is weird. That to me is a lady that ain't right in the head. No way. I had two other stories, but I don't even want to read them because I want to talk about this. Of course we got to talk about this. I want to talk about this. Let's talk.
First of all, you think she really, like, remembers the incident? No, there was no incident. There was no incident. But even if there was an incident, you think she's going to remember exactly? Well, I think if some kid got tied to a tree and thrown rocks and spray paint, I think you'd probably remember it. That's why her whole point is, this never happened. And she went around to all the principals, all the other teachers. You guys remember any of this? Never happened. Did he say it happened on school grounds? School grounds, first day of school. And he said the teacher stood by and did nothing. Isn't it strange timing? Well, that all aside, dude, like I was on the tiger camp. Now I heard this and I was like, well, the guy is kind of been lying a lot. You know what I mean? And it's like. But don't don't we all, especially tell some embellished stories like when you're with the guys to be like. And by the time it gets down the line, it's like. Is Barbara Walters one of the guys? Oh, he told Barbara Walters. Yeah. It's crazy. He told Barbara Walters, and he told Charles Barkley, and Charles Barkley wrote about it in his biography. That's what I was getting at, the Charles Barkley thing. I wasn't listening, I guess, when you said Barbara Walters. Weird. Thanks, Pip. Well, I don't know. It's just, it's really, isn't that really fishy? Well, first of all, Woodsy, we have to go, does she remember Tiger?
Maybe she does. Tiger was on Johnny Carson when he was four. So, yeah, she probably knows. Okay, so she remembers Tiger. Yeah. And so you're saying she would remember if that happened or if it wouldn't happen. I guess she would. I mean, that's a pretty monumental thing. As would the principals, as would the other teachers. I think it's a fake bit. I think it's a fake story. I think she kind of sounded weird there. I do, too. I think something was up with her. Maybe it did. Maybe it didn't happen. Right. Let's say it didn't happen. I don't think it happened. I just think it's odd that you're like, hey, since we're all having a tiger burning. For sure. Since we're all bringing our tigers to throw into the bonfire. Here's mine. Oh, you know, like, how about the guy that, you know, he stole his, you know, cassette tape. Bro, she responded to this in when it first came out in 97. She responded to it. Got no publicity. None. To me, that makes it worse. Like, you already did it. So now that we're throwing him on the bonfire, I don't know. Maybe she's trying to bust his credibility by saying, like, remember back over 10 years ago when I said he was a liar?
Tigers don't change your stripes. He's still alive. I've got to give it up for that. I put that one on a tee for you. Well played. It's like, man, you were his kindergarten teacher. Shouldn't you have his back a little bit? Not only that, but she's trying to point out that his... credibility should come into question. Really? Like, that hasn't been done enough? I know. Like, it's not already shot. I mean... We know he is exactly the greatest guy. It's just a weird story. Like, I couldn't name you my kindergarten teacher. She came out and said, Steve Woods doesn't... Mrs. Whalen, 100%. Mrs. Roddy. That was like seven years ago for you. Yeah, that is true. She came to my eighth grade graduation to see me graduate. Are you kidding? Why? My eighth grade teacher was at my wedding. Uh-uh. Uh-huh. Really? I was close with my teachers. They liked me. How? That is, that's pretty cool. Well. It's a weird bit, man. You're clearly. I just think it's weird. Aren't you team kindergarten? You're team kindergarten teacher. Yeah, you know, I'm really not team anything. I just think, boy, that sure does sound like a made-up story, dude. I mean, they tied me to a tree through rocks me and spray-painted the N-word. Spray-painted.
Like, hey, you know what? There may be a new black kid at school. Bring the spray paint, the rocks, the duct tape. We're going to tape some dude to a tree. As a kindergartner, it seems strange that other kindergartners are running around with spray paint. But maybe it was older kids. Maybe it was older. See, I don't know. The thing that does seem weird to me is just that. I think he did say it was sixth graders. He did? Yeah. The thing that seems weird to me is. her timing. She's already done it. Maybe someone called her up, though. They were like, oh, remember that other weird sex camp? This seems like a likely story. Remember that other weird story that he had back years ago? So they go, remember that other weird story that you told about that nobody listened to back in 97? Why don't you, first of all, hire... Call Gloria Allred. If I were you, I would call Gloria Allred. Maybe Gloria Allred called her. Speaking of credibility, isn't hers kind of in the toilet? Gloria Allred, she takes any and all sensationalist clients. I mean, like, everybody. Yeah. But I just, the whole thing is like, hey, why don't you hold a press conference? Well, maybe the teacher's being called a racist now. I don't know. Maybe for years. For not doing anything? Yeah, because.
He clearly said the teacher didn't do anything. So maybe for years she's been called a racist. That's true. He had his first practice yesterday at Augusta and went out and hit some balls. And, you know, he's got to be like, oh, my God. And Sienna had actually flipped me a story, too, that kind of ties with this. The dude is hired, and this is what the story says, 90 security guards. Wow. What they're really concerned about, they're really, really concerned about some of his mistresses showing up at Augusta. All these dudes have portfolios and pictures of all these women. And they're like, if you see these women. Is that true? They're like, get them out. It is true. They really have portfolios with former women. With their pictures. That means that Tiger would have had to produce them for him. They know. They know. Well, most of them have been in the entertainment industry. It's really easy to type in Google. Some of the adult entertainment. Really? And he seems to attract the crazies. Yeah, that's true, too. Or go after the crazies. That's true. I mean, look at all of them that have come forward. 12. They're like, he broke my heart. You know, he won't even respond to my text. I was working. What do you think? I was just a humble host at Perkins Restaurant, and I don't know why he...
He told me we were going to run away together. But what about that one chick, the porn star? Like I saw pictures of her in front of like a fire engine and she had like long black extensions and she was wearing like a bikini. And then in her press conference, she had like a short cropped Mrs. Brady wig. That's why they do that. And like a button up shirt. So how could you tell if that lady came all disguised like that? I know, I know, right? But these guys are on the lookout for these crazy women. I think it's awful what Tiger did, but I want people to leave Tiger alone. It's time. I'm done with it. I'm over it. I'm done. It's time. But Tiger won't leave Tiger alone. But this is the story today with the kindergarten teacher. That's not Tiger. This stuff is all like, I'm just, hey, listen. He messed up royally, no doubt about it. It was awful what he did. I agree. But I'm just sick of raking people over the coals. I don't like it. I think it's gross. It's old, dude. And I've, you know, I haven't cheated on my wife. But I've done other stuff. I don't want to be raked over the coals. We've all done stuff that's really bad. We all have. And, like, when it's done, you want mercy. And imagine if people are just like, eh, eh, eh, eh, eh. Just kicking him when he's down. Like, okay, okay, okay. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. Yeah, he did something bad.
I just feel so gnarly being like, you filthy blah, blah, blah. I know. Well, maybe I'm just saying, being a devil's advocate, maybe this woman has been getting, like, eggs thrown at her house and all this stuff for years for something that she didn't even do. And then she sees Tiger getting all this, like, mercy. And, well, let's take a poll. 60% of people think that Tiger should be forgiven. And she's like, well. What about, I mean, I don't know what she's suing for. I agree. I don't even think she's suing, to be honest with you. She's not. She said that she doesn't want to sue. Maybe she's just like. Dude, I mean, do you really come out if that story is true? Do you really come out in the press conference? I definitely think that if this woman, if that never happened and she has been victimized. She's claiming that she had like. Yeah, I get it. Some physical symptoms or whatever. There's more audio. It makes sense. If a woman is being persecuted herself because of a lie, I understand. I do understand. I think it's terrible. But enough with the Tiger. He's just done with it, man. He'll be teeing off on Thursday, so he'll be back to where he feels most comfortable. We'll see how he does. I've got to talk to my old man, see who the favorite is going to be at Augusta. You don't think it'll be Tiger? No, not the favorite. Because he's out of practice? Yeah, dude. I mean, he hasn't played in six months.
How weird will it be if Tiger Woods wins the Masters? It will be. Can you imagine? What do you think? The biggest story in the world. I'm trying to remember what network it's on. Golf? Yeah. But they're crossing their fingers hoping that this is what happens. It's already done. If he makes the cut, which he most assuredly will. It's going to be Saturday and Sunday are going to be the highest rated Masters ever. Isn't it already? It's got to be. It's already the highest rated Masters. It hasn't even happened yet. Tiger Woods is playing. My wife goes, who cares? I go, well, besides everybody on planet Earth, no one. Yeah, no one cares except. Earthlings. Besides Earthlings, though. I don't care. Yeah, nobody cares. I'm not an Earthling. Come on. You don't care. You're not interested in the least to see how he does. I'll be interested when you recap it on Monday, but I'm not going to go out of my way to watch that. No way. I want to see what the most pressure in the world on a human being's body produces from that human being. Yep.
I'm interested in that. My poor wife, who's coming to visit this weekend, is like, really? We're going to watch golf all weekend? I can't think of any bigger beating than to watch golf. Can we still do, what if I make carny? Can't do it. No? I thought you were the one that suggested it. It was my idea, but she's leaving Sunday. I can't do it. Oh. And I got a game. Man. It kills me. Make what? Carne asada. Oh. I was going to make, I was going to grill on Sunday. I wanted to. Dude, I'm beating for it. Man. Brilliant idea. Jay's got something. Yeah. Hey, there was just another earthquake. I just got a phone call from Stacy who does our traffic reporting. Like 19 minutes ago, another 5.0, 17 miles south of El Centro. Really? Yeah. I didn't feel it, but there's another big one. Jesse felt one this morning. Yeah, they got that one documented too. There was one at like 4 or something this morning. Yep. And that was a 5.4, and then there was just another 5.1. Crazy. Perfect. You figure, man, the earth has to settle. I don't like it, dude. Well, now I'm like, it's all that psychosomatic. Now I'm like, wait a second. What is that? I'm watching my water in my bottle. Jurassic Park style. Yeah. Seriously. It's one of those deals where...
You feel a little nauseous. I felt a lot nauseous. I was like, whoa, what was that? It's crazy how different some are too. Some are the ones like you're riding a wave. In the other building we were in, I felt like I was up on top of a wave and then back down. No way. That happened like four or five years ago. Maybe we dragged the mics downstairs to the parking lot and ripped this from the parking lot. Yeah. What would happen? I think all these buildings are retrofitted. We're on the seventh floor of a... building in Mission Valley, but I think all these buildings are retrofitted for earthquakes. I think we're fine. They talk about how different it is here with everything so earthquake set and everywhere else. If something like that happens in Haiti, say for instance, the town is just toast. Yeah, they're not prepared for it. This is Tony, Tony, Tony. You know why? Because Sienna is picking the music today. So you're going to hear a lot of the R&B slash hip-hop. Janet Jackson was on Oprah, and she said what Michael Jackson's last words were to her, her brother, Michael. What was his last words to her? Don't understand why a fart would be a part of that. Unnecessary. Bad timing. That was his last words? He's very, he's kind of, you know, into little kid humor, so it could be that that was the deal. Like, the last thing that he did could have been possible. And did you hear about the dog?
That stole the car. I wonder what a 911 call from that situation would sound like. We'll find out together. And we'll do it next. This is the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. You always know when Sienna is picking the music. It's got a little bit of that hip-hop. She's jamming out. A little bit. A little bit of that hip-hop thing going on, right? Heavy D and the boys. Nothing but love. Welcome back. It's The Mikey Show. Our phone number here is 570-1949. And you can also reach us by text 949mikey at gmail.com. And we are going to be hanging out with you on Friday. Now, The Mikey Show. Started here at FM 94.9 on February 1st. That was our very first day on the air. It was February the 1st. And here we are on April the 5th, and we finally have a real time that we're going to be telling you that we're going to be hanging out with you. Ouch. Which is great. Hurts for Woods to clap. He hurt his finger real bad. No more paddles. Paddles broken. So here's the deal. We're going to be hanging out with you. At Stone Brew. Yeah, Dom. How great is that in Escondido? It's delicious. This is so good. This is going to happen on Friday from 5 to 7. We're going to have the new sticker out there. And if you want to see what the Mikey Show M1 sticker looks like for M1 Nation, just go to MikeyShow.com.
And there's a place so you could click on to see the brand new sticker. It's really cool. And we'll just be hanging out with you and wanting to meet you and wanting to say hi. Just a cool hang. And it's happening on Friday. It's going to be in the garden area at the bistro. If you've never been to Stone, the food is incredible. Mac and cheese. Holler. Oh, yeah. Mac and cheese. It's got the sausage in it. It's so good. Freaking good. And all the food there is really great. They make their own beers. And just where it is. It's beautiful. So gorgeous. Michael, what are you going to wear? I don't know. I'm thinking about a unitard. I'm thinking of maybe just a complete one-piece unitard. How about everyone on the show dresses up in a unitard? I think that's a great idea. I already have my outfit picked out. You do? I do. What is it? Can you tell us or no? It's a little strapless long dress. Look at you. Wow. Fancy. I got some new maternity clothes for my birthday. Very nice. Very nice. Let me tell you, wait till we tell you, speaking of Sienna's birthday, Sienna's from La Jolla. A little while later, I'm going to tell you what incredible lengths her mother went to.
For her. I love my mom. She had like 50 Cent playing at your birthday party. That's right. I want 50 Cent. Did they film an episode of Sweet 25 on your birthday? They did, as a matter of fact. Is this an Aston Martin? I wanted a Bentley. Yeah. It's just BS. That's right. We went Easter egg hunting on Sunday and I found three Aston Martins and threw them away because I already had five. Mom, you got me this last year. Please. So there it is. Meet and greet is happening. On Friday, Stone Brew, want to see you out there hanging with us. It's going to be a good time. What was the last thing Janet Jackson's brother Michael said to her before he died? Let's see. AJ? Yes. This is not dialed in right. No. You would really have to pick your brain for a while to try to remember that because he died unexpectedly. Yeah. It's a lot of pressure to have to come up with it. I think you would know, and the reason I think you would is because you would really think about it. If somebody died, you'd be like, what is the last thing they said to me? So what was it, Janet? Do you remember the last thing you said to him or the last thing he said to you? I love you. I love you. Really? Isn't that a good thing? Isn't that a good thing? You don't believe it? You don't believe she would remember? Maybe they always said that when they got off the phone, so it was very easy for her to remember. There it is. Maybe it never happens. There it is. Stop it.
I'm one of those, yeah. Every time I talk to someone, I love you. I love you. I love you so much. See, and I talk to my brother every day, my brother Mark. We don't say it because it would weird us out. Two dudes, you know? Yeah. It's kind of different with guys. Weirds me out. Say, hey, man, I love you. You tell me you love me. I know, but it's because of the dynamic. You and I have a dynamic where that, you know, you were always that way, and so it made me comfortable doing that. My brother and I, we don't. ever say that so all of a sudden it would be weird break the walls down pal really yeah how would you what if he what if you lost him tomorrow and you never told him i would understand that that's not our dynamic i wouldn't feel a strangeness i do love him but i think maybe we need to get used to it Maybe I start telling it. Hey, dude, I just want you to know it's never been our dynamic, but I just want you to know how much I love you. Oh, you just got me scared. You just freaked me out. You're my brother. I love you, dude. I'll tell you right now that I don't say that that much to my brother either because it's not really our dynamic. It's not your dynamic. He knows that I love you. Yeah. Right. It's nice to hear. Really? It is nice to hear. Can you tell me about it all the time? Every day. Really? Yeah, every time. I tell you that, I couldn't tell Sienna, Pepper, or Jade. I told Sienna, I love you.
That's your dynamic. That's your dynamic. I do too, but that's your dynamic. See, my dynamic with Sienna and Pepper and Jay is not that. So if I did it, it would be like... Wait a minute. How often do you guys say I love you? Every time he leaves, when we hang out in person outside the station, when he leaves... Woods initiates it. Woods will always... He's the dominant one. He will always put his arm around me. I'm the dominant one. Dominant one. It is weird. Weird, weird, weird. What? And you're being inappropriate. Of course you are. Your name is Woods. But he will always go, love you, dude. And I say, I love you, man. And, you know, we try to make our voices deeper so that it's sweet. I love you. Love you. Love you. I wish you would hug me. He just pats me on the bottom. I give you a hug? No, you pat me on the bottom. I gave you a hug yesterday when I left the Easter thing. True, that was a good hug. Some people over-say it, though. Like, if you are kind of friends with them, you know, but you're not really. And some people are like, okay, I love you. Yeah, for sure. I love you. Like, you don't want to not say it. No, man, me too. There's the over-lover. I'm probably an over-lover. Over-lover, over-hugger. There's the over-lover, over-hugger. I'm an over-hugger. We hugged after we surfed. My dad. On Friday. Oh, dude, why not?
Where did the lines get blurred? Like, we never hug when we leave the show, but whenever we're in an outside place, we always hug. Who initiated hugging at surfing? Woods. Probably Woods. Yeah, yeah, he did. He goes, all right. I'll see ya. And then we all had to. And then we stood there for another, like, three minutes. Well, I love hugging you guys. Was it a wetsuit hug? Yes. I hugged Rebecca. I had my wetsuit on and I hugged her and I was like, wow, I never realized how hard it was to reach my arms around in this wetsuit. I had no shirt on and I hugged Rebecca. Awkward. Weird. Weird. Weird. Hairy armpits. Sienna, tell us the story about the dog that stole the car. No way. Okay. Well, this happened in Wisconsin. Yeah. And apparently there was a dog who was left in the car. The owner went inside for lunch on Thursday, left his dog in there, you know, rolled out the windows. And while his owner was snacking away, the dog climbed into the little front seat and shifted the car's gear into neutral.
The car started moving and hit, smashed into a pickup truck across the parking lot. And apparently the damage is like thousands of dollars. And the cop even said when he first heard about what happened, he thought it was an April Fool's break. Because it was on Thursday. Really? Yeah, April Fool's Day. I wonder what that 911 call would have sounded like if somebody saw the whole thing. 911, what's your emergency? Oh my goodness. He's, oh, oh. Oh, he said something else. Yeah, hi. I'm calling because there's a black chihuahua that's driving down the road. I saw him. He jumped out of a purse and then into the driver's seat. And I don't know. There's no way he has a license. He's backed up into a few things, and now he's crashing into things. Oh, my goodness. Now he's rolling down the street. It's a chihuahua, you said? Yeah, it's a black chihuahua. Why does it have to be a black chihuahua? Hello? Are you a racist, ma'am? I mean, I have an uncle by marriage that is African-American, so if we could just leave it at Chihuahua, it would be great. Okay, well, I'm just telling you the color. It is by Chihuahua. So tell me what's going on. A Chihuahua is still in the color. Yeah, I'm telling you, I don't think he has a license. It's an African-American Chihuahua. Are you with one of the officers right now?
Yeah, yeah, he's right next to me here. Let me talk to the officer, please, ma'am. Okay, okay. Thank you. Hello? Hi, Officer 9-1-1. What seems to be the problem over there? Well, things are kind of under control now. I just took the dog into custody as a chihuahua driving the car. Officer, what is your name? My name is Officer Jeff Weiner. Officer Weiner, can you tell me exactly what you have? Sorry, it's Jeff Weiner. It's W-I-N-E-R. I'm sure it is. Officer Wiener, again, tell me what exactly is going on. You said you had the dog in custody, Officer Wiener. Excuse me, sir, you keep calling me Officer Wiener, and my name is Officer Wiener, and this is the third time I've told you that. It's W-I-N-E-R. Okay, Officer Wiener, is there any way I can talk to the dog? Can you stop calling me Wiener? Sure, Officer Wiener. Let me talk to the dog, no problem. Let me let you talk to the dog. Okay, great. It's Wiener. Okay, Officer Wiener. Yeah, this is the African-American chihuahua. Yes, it is. What's going on over there, man? Did you get taken into custody? Yes, I got taken into custody because I jumped out of a purse and I stuck the door in the car. Okay. Are you okay?
Si. Si. Okay. I don't really speak Spanish. I'm assuming that's yes, but what can I do for you guys, man? Is everything under control? Are you going to be okay? Everything is cool, but could you please keep Wiener from trying to... I wish I could. He doesn't sound like the nicest guy in the world, Officer Wiener. Do you have somebody to come bail you out? I'm going to call the Bear Bounce right now. Okay. Knock that out. And if you need me for anything, man, I'm on your side. You know, I'm a big fan of the African-Americans. Thank you. All right. Take care. That's a weird accent. That was the weirdest. Maybe that's what it would have sounded like. It's really, really strange. It's really awkward. Yeah, great. You've known them. Wait, wait, what? The officer's name was, just so you guys know, it was Jeff Wiener. Wiener. Wiener. We'll just go with Wiener. You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. It's that guy, right? It's that guy, dude. It's the, you know, the 40-plus guy with the ponytail. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What are you, a professor, dude? An English professor? I have no problem with that. You don't? You work at Berkeley, dude? Why, what?
neighbor or friend of yours or uncle do you have that has... What grower do you know that has the ponytail? There's plenty of people that have it. Who cares? There shouldn't be rules on guys who should have to have short hair. Does he roll his own marijuana cigarettes, that guy? Not hurting anybody. Alright, fine. What else? Cut your hair, dude. Come on. Wait, not hurting anybody. Who else? He's hurting me. Okay, this is actually from M1 Nicks. She said she's going to call out her husband on this one. He texts while driving, using both hands while driving with his knee, with pregnant wife in the front seat, and two young children of four and six in the back seat and thinks it's fine. Please call him out on the air. I'm hoping hearing it from you will make him stop. M1 Nix, your husband, dude, you're dumb. Yeah. And not only that, Nix, wait till Sienna tells you what could be in the works for you, texter guy. You got some precious cargo. I do that, though. You do? I text. Well. You can't. I know. Because it's illegal. It's illegal. And, Sienna, didn't you say that there's, like, new stuff? Like, there's some senator or congressman here in California. Yeah, California who's going to be upping the prices if you get caught. Yeah. Wow, dude. Really? So you get in trouble for it. Now they're going to make it more expensive as a fine. I know it. For texting while you're driving. That's good. Now, I have tried to wean myself off the texting. Mm-hmm. Not easy. But I still, like, will hit a button to open up, say,
the email on my phone, and I won't type to them, but I can read what the messages are on my email. Is that the same thing as texting? It's the same thing. I look, but I don't touch. Yeah. Isn't that okay? It's still not okay, but I do it. I know it's not okay. I didn't put my phone in my trunk. Yeah, me too. I do. It's a good thing to do. There's also the guy that can't fit in his parking spot. And when he parks... He can or he won't? He won't. Yeah, he won't. It's definitely that he won't. He's a little bit askew, which makes the next guy askew, which makes the next guy askew, and then you pull up and you don't have a spot. Yeah. Okay, dude, you're dumb. Yeah, the last person to show up to always looks like the bad guy that did it. Yeah, yeah. And he didn't. He didn't.
Didn't know what else to do. Yeah. I definitely am the I will pull. I'll back up. I'll take five minutes to park correctly. Me too. Oh, yeah. Me too. Me too. And the only reason that I do it is because I don't want people to be upset at me. I don't want people to dislike me. Spit on your car. I've talked to people that have nice cars that have admitted that they take up two spots. Oh, it's awful. So that their car doesn't get hit. That's awful. They need to just park far away. Punch them right in the face. I've left notes on people's cars that do that. Yep. Have you really? Of course I have. Of course she has. It's like people in Hummers that take up three spots. Yeah. Sienna is fearless when it comes to letting people know what's going on in her head. Oh, no. She'll tell them. The most recent one was a car that was parked in my alley. And there's no room. So he just thinks he can just park right in the middle of the alley like it's not an important street. But I still need to get through. It's where I live. Sure. You left him a note. Kill me. I would slash his tires. I left him a note. It was not nice. For a second, I thought Woodsy's next one was going to be dude that eats banana at work. Because Lauren had a banana. And it was the...
Distracting. I love the smell. I love the smell of a fresh cracked banana. It just caused a wreck. That skin started to smell like feet. Oh, please. Next to me. How about a guy that dips in the control room? Yeah, exactly. What about a guy that dips in the control room? What do you think your dip and your chewed pen smell like? Better than cigs. Yes, I smell your cigs first thing in the morning. The lesser of two evils. It's true. It's true. Well, one of them's illegal. Come on. Come on, group up. You can't smoke inside the buildings here. I know. Bunch of hippies. How about the guy at the gas station who, there's a lot of lines in California for gas. I've noticed that. Like, I'll wait two or three cars. I've never had to do that before. It's expensive here. Exactly. But I don't know what that has to do with it. Why is there a line? People will go to the cheapest place that they know of. Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. Yeah, don't ever try Costco. But the guy that freaking takes forever, he goes in, he does his grocery shopping. He comes out, cleans his car out, does his windshield. And I'm sitting there, like, obviously waiting for him. Patiently, obviously. Rocking back and forth. Blasting cigs at the gas station, which is never a good move. You know what, Woodsy? Wow. You're giving me a little conviction. Because I do it. And I think in my head, it's okay because this is my space right now. Because I got the spot. I'm going to use it. But I can't. You can't do that. I have to get out. Get in and out, bro.
I agree with both of you, kind of, because I think if you're at somewhere like Costco, they have the stuff to clean the windshield wipers for you to use. You're supposed to use it. You're not supposed to use it? No, you are. But while you're gassing up your car. You do it, yeah. I clean my car and do my windshield as gas is pumping. I've been behind clowns that will... Clean their window. Then go put gas in the car. And I'm looking at them like, I'm going to shoot. That is annoying. Texting on their phone. They're just sitting there in their own world. In their own world. Some guys are like creeping on women. They'll just literally lean against their hood and just be like. It's a great place to meet women. How about that guy? This is a new thing. When you're at the gas station and someone comes up and starts checking your windshield for chips. Has that happened to you? Leave me alone. A little ding in your windshield. I'm like, dude, I don't want to deal with this right now. Get out. the case. Hey, ma'am, can we interest you in a free... Yeah. Leave me alone. It won't bother me, though, if I actually have a chip in my window. Really? It won't bother me, too. Because they do it real quick, and it's like... And you don't have to pay for it. No, I do have a chip in my windshield. And I was like, no. Really? Like, he's asking my insurance questions. I was like, ugh. Mike, just... I just want to be left the hell alone. Is that too much to ask? Just pretty much all the time. Yeah. Just leave me alone. See, I have a couple dings in my car. Actually, three dings. Two, a result of someone hitting me and running.
while I was in a parking lot. But I get people that creep up on me all the time. Excuse me, miss. I could knock that out for you. And they scare the ever-living crap out of me. I'm, like, getting out of my car ready to, like, ninja-chop them. Yeah. Telling me that they can do, like, you know, they could fix it up for $100 or this or that or whatever. And they get you as soon as you're getting out of the car. Oh, yeah. They scare strangers. Strangers probably scare Lauren. Oh, yeah. Oh, I'm so jumpy. Just say get. I'm so jumpy. I'm like, no, no, no. Thank you. Say get. Pep, have you ever had the guy that hits on you while you're getting gas? Oh, yeah. What woman hasn't? I want to hear this. Yeah. How does he start conversation, that dude? One guy, I had my license plate. I guess I got my car in Carlsbad. Yeah. And I didn't even know. It comes up, he's like, huh. Carl's bad, eh? Wow. And I was in Mission Valley here outside of work getting gas. You go, yeah, you want my number? I had no idea what he was talking about. And I go, I just gave him like the one eyebrow of things. Excuse me. That's the scary pepper side brow that says, what?
Yeah, but no, but I, to strangers, I'm always like, what? I do that. The nervous laugh all the time. You ever been hit on Sienna at a gas station? Yeah, I think guys just think it's okay there. I don't know why. You know why? They say stuff about your car, like, oh, so how do you like that car? No, it's a good bit at the gas station. This is it. Because they're trapped. Yeah, they're trapped. They can't leave. You're both leaning against your car. Right. And you look, you're like, how you doing? I'm good. And then you're like, freaking gas is expensive. Isn't this getting ridiculous? Dead on. And then it's, bam. Five minutes later, kids writing down a phone number. I have to say, when Woodsy does it that way, it seems very conversational, very normal. It seems okay when he does it that way. But what Lauren's talking about is the guy that wants to be that thinks he is that and goes, Carl's bad, hey? No idea what he's talking about. Carl's bad. Carl's bad, Carl's bad, Carl's bad, Carl's bad. Right, right. What the hell is he talking about? I would just say, what are you talking about? I did, I did. You like that car? Yeah, I do. That's why I own it. Yeah. Is it getting good mileage? Oh, the best. You're so pretty. You're creeping me out. You're so pretty. Weird, weird, so weird. Got any other ones? No. All right.
570-1949, if you have one. I've got one. What? How about a dude that stands right outside the main doors into the building smoking, so you have to walk through his smoke? It's called secondhand smoke. You'll be fine. Smoker versus non-smoker. I've got one more. Go ahead. I've got one more. Go ahead and see what's written on your sheet there, guys. There's this team in, I think they're in the New England area. Whatever. If you like these guys. Whatever. Dude, you're dumb. Are you talking about the Patriots? No, I'm not talking about the Patriots. He's talking about the Red Sox. Because they beat the Yankees last night? Yeah. Because Woodsy is a Yankee fan. Eject, eject, eject, eject. Woodsy. Yeah. I have to ask you about it. Fire away. You got, did you go get your naked wings that you talked about? I did. I got 25 naked wings. I put down 21. You slayed 21 of them. Mm-hmm. Delicious. Delicious. I don't know. What are naked wings? They don't have that real thick breading on them. So they're literally just like the chicken wings and you just bam, bam. And I get drums. I get all drums. Really? Got 25 naked drums. I prefer wing over drums. I hate the wing. You got to break it apart. I just take this, dip. No, my problem is with the drum. What? To me, the drum is too. Delicious. It's too hard and too tough. Too tough. Delicious. The wing, I like to pull it out.
Tender. All right. And break the two little parts apart. Disgusting. I hate the breaking of the bones. Love it. Disgusting. I eat the cartilage. I eat the cartilage. I do. I chew it up. I love it. It's so yummy to me. I was trying to eat my shrimp tails the other night. We were at dinner. I'm trying. I did. Yeah, you did eat them. Yeah. Did you swallow? No. That sounded like a yes to me. No. I just. Here was the deal. Here was the deal. We went out to dinner. And Woodsy ordered a. dish, a pasta dish that had shrimp in it. That's a dude you're dumb. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go ahead. When you order a pasta dish, I had penne pasta with vodka sauce and shrimp. What do they do? They throw the whole shrimp in there with the tail. With the tail. And I'm going to be eating. And I'm like, so now I've got to get my knife. And I've got to cut the tail off in the big dish of pasta. And I'm like, you lazy SOBs. And his knife is sinking down into the bowl. And it's not working. It's not working. I'm beating my head against the wall. You have nowhere to put the tails on the edge of the plate. Well, lucky for me, I had the tail scavenger over here. Mike, he was like, you going to eat those? I'm a shrimp hyena. Do you take the meat out of you? Oh, yeah. With my teeth. But he used to.
What came out was that this clown used to eat the tails when he was a kid. Yeah, the whole thing. The whole thing. Yeah, crunched them up real good. Delicious. It's like a fingernail. No, it tastes like ocean. It's great. I eat the shells of the sunflower seeds sometimes. I chew that. I chew those out. That's normal? Okay. People think I'm weird. But it's good for you in every way. It's good for your digestion. It's good for everything. All right. But wait, you were saying something. Yeah. Before I interrupted you. About the shrimp? Something. Something should be. Is that a short joke? No. M1 dog bait? M1 dog bait? M1 dog bait? Yeah. Responds to the female voice. Is that it? That's right. What's your dude, you're dumb? That's what that was. My dude, you're dumb is the guy who's got his pants down on his butt, and he's wearing, like, multiple shorts and, like, walking like a penguin holding his... If I could do it, I would. You can look like a fool with your pants on the ground. Yeah, it's on the ground. Pants on the ground. You can look like a fool with your pants on the ground. That's what I mean. It's like, not only does that not look right, but how are you even walking? And is it fun to walk? Mike just said he would do it if he could. Why? To demonstrate. Because I think it looks cool. Stop it. Sorry. I apologize for being me. You are kidding. I hope you're kidding.
I think it kind of looks cool. I would do it because I want to be thin. I want to be thin so much that I would do things that even skinny guys would do. Like some skinny guys would date overweight girls. I would do it just to be skinny. Not everyone that has their pants like that is skinny. That's so weird. Don't. I just... I would. Sorry, dog babe. No, I agree with you, dog babe. Dude, you're done. All right, thank you. My brother, it's my brother's least favorite thing in the world. Pull up your pants. In fact, I... I lost a lot of weight, and I wore my pants a little low one time, and my brother goes, really? Really? I go, what? He goes, with the pants on the ground? Yeah. Looking like a fool. But even, like, the people, the guys that sag, they're board shorts at the beach. Yeah. Isn't that Jay, our producer? No, he doesn't sag. But they also have boxers on underneath. It's like, really, you have underwear under your board shorts? I think it kind of looks cool in hip-hop. Stop, Mike. Apologies. Apologies. Crisscross, maybe. This is the best song ever. Good morning to you. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Support for a Monday morning being brought to you by Guayaki Yerba Mate. This morning we're looking at kind of the same as what we've been seeing over the last few days. Maybe a slightly decreased in size out of the west, northwest, and some more south actually showing than it has been. But nothing to override that dropping size. Condition-wise, looking fairly poor and spotty out there as well. Dropping into that lower tide will cause all areas to become... More broken up and even shiftier. And we do have a little bit of a southwesterny wind on it with cloudy skies. So all in all, looking pretty weak and junky. Beach breaks, a couple corners maybe by the more structured areas that are rideable, but just that. Reef breaks, a couple sections there too, but pretty much just a drill. March Music Madness Championship here at FM 94.9 is happening today. You know who it is? 3 o'clock. Who is it, Woodsy? Zeppelin against Pearl Jam. My two favorites. I have no loser. That's awesome. It's awesome. All right, take your vote. Who do you vote for? Zeppelin. Zeppelin. Now. I don't care. Okay. Mine. Mine. I will go Pearl Jam. Really? Jay? Zeppelin. Yep. I like them both, okay? You guys know that. Somebody made a good point. They said that without Led Zeppelin, there would be no Pearl Jam. Great point. Wow. Could be true. That's a really good point. It's a great point. Plebeians. Plebeians. Farmers. So the iPad came out on Saturday. Yeah. I'm interested in it. Weird. I know. I know. It's technology. Oh, wow. I've been thinking about it. Uh-huh. And I think that I can replace my laptop with it. It's a very... Easy thing to use. And it does everything I need. Internet access and reading. Yeah. Can I have your laptop? Yeah, I want it. Yeah, I want it too. Sounds good to me. Sounds good to me. Mike, you need to watch the new Modern Family episode. You can watch it online. He has an iPad in it. He won't. You'll see how ridiculous he looks. He won't. But he loves it. I'll try to watch it. Why are you anti?
Okay, this is a perfect segue into Mikey's new bit. Let's get to it, but I got to hear what they said about the iPad. Well, there were lines. Fans lined up before dawn to get the first iPads, which came out on Saturday, April 3rd. Amazing day. It's your birthday. Obviously. You know that. An estimated 600,000 to 700 iPads were sold at Apple stores across the nation. They cost $400. How many? About $500. It was like $499. I went and dropped all that coin on this. I could have waited and got an iPad. No, you'll be happier with what you have. Probably. It's $400? Yeah. I could have gotten seven of them for what I paid for that. No, but that's good. You can burn CDs. It has lots of editing systems and stuff like that, which are really going to be good for this job. So why do I need the iPad, then? You don't. I want it, though. Why do you need a remote-controlled airplane? You don't. I want the iPad. I'll tell you why. Tell you why I want the iPad. Why? Because it's nice when you're sitting on the couch to not have to have that cumbersome laptop. That two-pound laptop? Okay. I still think it's better. It's easy. It's like a big oversized iPhone. I think it's easy. This is surprising, though. They said that the iPads had not sold out by the evening. Wow.
Uh-huh. That is surprising. Right? I mean, those iPhones were gone within hours. Yeah. I saw online pictures of, like, Jake Gyllenhaal with his new iPad and stuff like that. See, that's going to make it popular, too. Oh, all those celebrities get that stuff for free. It's not fair. Yeah, they want people to take pictures of them using it, so they give it to them. Yeah. And they use it, and it becomes cool. What were you going to say, Woodsy? Mikey has a new bit that he does. And so, all right. We caught him this morning. Since we're on, you know, we try to be funny every day. Like I've started watching a lot more funny stuff. Yeah. And I'm like trying to become a master of my craft. So lame. So what I'll do is I'll find something that really tickles my funny bone and I'll send it to Mike. Or I'll say, hey, you need to watch this episode of Modern Family. And I'll send him the episode, the name of it. All he's got to do is download it and watch it. You don't even have to download it. You just watch it. You can click on it and go to Hooler. You can go to NBC.com and he won't do it. I'm like you. So Mikey and I have a good bit of The Silence of the Lambs. The guy, James Gunn. That guy. Right. So there's this band and they put out this song called Lotion. Right. And the song is basically, it's about that movie. So I send it to Mike. Yeah, it's not this song. But I send it to Mike. I'm like, dude, you have to watch this. Please watch it. He doesn't watch it.
Then you guys sent him something. Who sent it? You? No, a listener. Can I just say, wait, hang on. I have to say, I watched the first 10 seconds of it. And they show a scene from Silence of the Lambs with the girls down in the well. And it creeps me out. And I'm like, I'm out. So then what did I tell you to do? You go, keep watching it. It gets really funny. I said, minimize it, but listen to the words of the song. Yes. And I'm going to play it on my bumper music. But I'd already deleted it. Weird. And so it would have taken a lot of hoops to jump through to get it to happen. Or you could have just gone to iTunes and typed. Like I told you, the next time I said, fine, go to iTunes and download Lotion by the Greenskeepers. You'll flip out. It's hysterical. Mike? Yeah. What about the email I sent out last night after we had the earthquake? I thought it would be funny to have the Carole King song. I feel the earth. Move under my feet. And you wrote back this morning when you woke up, totally, let's do it. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. And then this morning. But then. When we got into the studio. When we got into work, I was like, so are we going to play that Carole King bet or what? You were like, what? No idea. No idea. How does that go? What is it? To have Mike's back a little bit, though, I think he does. I mean, I know that he reads it or else he wouldn't have responded the proper way. I think he just forgets. No, no. You guys, wait a minute. It's half and half because she is part right.
Half of it is that I don't remember anything. Like, you know, honestly, you guys know that it'll be a. Yeah, it'll be a situation where I go, what's a Snuggie? I did. And you guys. What's my wife's name? Yeah. I mean, I forget everything. I forget stuff really easy. The other half of it is I don't want to deal with the shaming that's going to come. What's he is beating me up about watching? Listen to lotion. Listen to the song lotion. I'm like. I'm not into it. No, I can't. I can't. I can't do that. Mikey gets so many emails for work stuff, for church stuff, for family stuff, for friends stuff. The kid takes priority. You know that. I know. Oh, wow. And he'll tell me that. And I'll go, let's reenact a conversation if I said to you, I'm not into it. I don't know, Woods. I just, I don't think that's my thing. What, are you kidding me, dude? Listen to it. Trust me. You're really going to like it. Dude, listen to it. Don't be a Sally. Listen to it. I think I'm going to pass on this one, Woodsy. No, I think I pass on it. The only people making money passing are NFL quarterbacks. You don't have a number on your back. Fine. I'll watch it. Listen to it. Watch it. See what happens? He's a pusher. See, but then you know what happens when he gets home. There's kids playing. They're yelling. There's food being made. Mike, you're enabling the pushing. Here's what you do. You write back and say, hey, man, I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.
It's time-consuming. You don't write back, ha, ha, ha, ha. No, that ended it. That ended it. Exactly. It ended it. It was over. Think of how many times he's gotten away with it, and it's fine. You're busted now. I know it. I got busted. I got busted red-handed. See, I do it too, Mike. I mean, I'll watch a second of it, and it's like, ugh. The ha, ha, ha, ha bit. So you didn't watch any of those Bruno interviews I sent you, did you? Yeah, he did. I actually did. See, and you can ask me. You can go, what was it? Tell me about it then. See, that's like it. I'm treating you like a four-year-old. I know, but I have to be. I'm showing you. I'm going to start doing it. I think you should just stand up to Woods and say, hey. No, it's not just me. He did it to you. Takes too long. He did it to you, too. You don't care? That's true, but you can't continue to just push. Oh, I'm going to. That one, though, the Carole King, I feel the earth move under my feet. I think that was a Lunesta days. That was my, seriously. You were up back this morning when you woke up. At 1.30? Yeah. Still in a Lunesta days. He's not awake yet. I'm not awake. Honestly, I didn't read that far into the email. I just said we should talk about the earthquake. I was like, good idea. I didn't read any more. I included, I embedded the video. I'm just not going to waste my time. I'm just not going to waste my time. Gosh, it would have been really clever. Yeah, I'm just not going to waste my time. Let's do Settle It Back. Call me right now, 570-1949. Now, you're going to pick a horse. You're going to pick me.
Sienna, or Woods. And one person's going to get to play for themselves. We have a CD six pack or something that you'll love. No, we've got better than that. We've got tickets to see Green Day. Oh, wow. September 2nd at the Cricket Amphitheater. Great. There you go. You want to see Green Day? Call us right now. 570-1949. You're going to pick Sienna, Woods, or me. And one person's going to play for themselves. And the way that Settle a Bet works is that we send Pepper out into the community. Also known as Lauren. She really, really loves, loves doing it. I had fun yesterday. You did? Good. You know, all it took was some willing and able bodies and some really nice people for me to all of a sudden. And a few mimosas didn't hurt. No. That doesn't hurt. Doesn't hurt. When she's asking questions. First of all, there was like a few mimosas in the morning. All right. It's okay. You're Irish. Here's how it works. You call us, and I'm going to play you, Pepper asking a question. And then you're just going to guess whether or not they'll get it right. It's pretty easy. Let's do it. It's pretty easy. M1 Brandon. Yo, what's up? Mikey, I'll pick you. You take me? Come on, Horace. We need Green Day tickets for my daughter and wife. They'd flip out. I'll try to do it. Hang on the line. I'm really nervous. That's a lot of pressure. That made me so nervous. M1 Harold. Hey, how's it going? Good.
What up? Give me Woods. You got him. Hang on the line. 570-1949. You're picking me, Woodsy, or Sienna. Me and Woodsy are taken. Somebody's going to get Sienna. And somebody's going to play for themselves. Yeah. You just have to wager on whether or not these people will get these answers correct. It's very easy the way that it's done. M1 Steve. You've got Sienna. Hang on the line. All right? Awesome. Hang on. And then we need one person that will play. For themselves. 570-1949. We got her. It's a her. M1 Megan? Yeah. You're going to play for yourself, okay? Cool. Sounds good. All right, cool. That's Megan from The Dating Game, I think. Is it Megan from The Dating Game? No. It's not. It is not. All right. Sounded like her. We will begin with me, and here is Lauren talking to the first person. Okay, I am here with? Tom Allen. How old are you? 26. And what do you do for a living? Ocean lifeguard. He sounds smart to me already. Already, Cat sounds like he is sharp. Yeah, even though, I'm telling you, dude sounds sharp. He's doing it to raise money for college, guaranteed. At 26? I don't think he's running down the beach like Pam Anderson in a red bikini. For what city? Encinitas. Which is the greatest city in the... Did he have blonde hair or brunette hair?
He had dirty blonde hair. Was he attractive? They're listening right now. Yeah, I know. Just kidding. I know. Was he attractive? Yeah, he was attractive. California? In the world. Are you from here? Are you from Encinitas? Yes, ma'am. Born and raised? Uh-huh. Wow, you're like one of the rare ones. Yeah. The game is called Settle Bet. I got one friend. Lord, flirt to them. I laughed during all of them. Is he attractive? He was attractive, right? Yeah. He's great. You can hear it in your voice. Was that Theodore Roosevelt? Another that says JFK was the youngest president. So I need you to settle a bet for me, which is Roosevelt or is it JFK? Did you guys hear the question? Yeah, I did. Who is the youngest president? Theodore Roosevelt or JFK? The answer, by the way, is Theodore Roosevelt. Now, we're going to go around. We're going to guess whether or not he's going to get it correct. I will start. I say yes, he does. Sienna. No. Woods. No. Megan? I'm going to say yes. So two people say yeah. And two people say no. JFK. Nope. Megan, what are we thinking? I don't know what we're thinking. I don't know. I'll tell you what, though. I'll tell you what. What? The youngest president was Roosevelt, and he came into office at 42. Wow. Kennedy was 43. Really? So it was a tough question. That is a tough question. Kennedy looked so young. Yeah, he did. You can talk about a sharp cat. Obama was 46. Really? Yeah. Okay.
He looks young in all of them. There's your basis for comparison there. There you go. Next person, next question. I am here with... Mike. Mike, are you an M1? Yeah, I'm an M1. Come on, Mikey. How long have you lived here for? Oh, boy. 33 years. Are you born and raised here? No. Where are you from? Van Nuys. Oh, outside of L.A. You said you're Christian. What are some other hobbies that you have? I DJ. I do artwork. I raise my 8-year-old son. Playing a game. It's called Settle a Bet. Question is... What's going on? That's on a call, I think. It is? Oh, okay. One friend says that the speed of light travels faster. The other friend says that the speed of sound travels faster. Great question. Can you settle a bet for me? Which one is it? The correct answer is light. And I think that that is the easiest question in the world. Do you? I do, but we're going to start with Sienna. Sienna, what do you think? Will he get it right or will he get it wrong? I'm going to say he gets it. Woods? I'm going to say he gets it. Megan? I'm going to say he gets it, Gerald. I'm going to say he gets it. I should be playing the odds and going against it, but I'm going to play the odds. We're all saying that he's going to get it correct, that he will get it light. Speed light. Star Wars, what's up? Yeah. There you go, dude. By the way, he said that was a stupid question. Really? Because he said, well, he just said.
Y'all are stupid because that's an obvious answer, which I didn't think was that obvious. That's not that obvious. But let me tell you guys, the speed of light travels 186,000 miles per second. Oh, my gosh. The speed of sound, 0.2 miles per second. Wow. Really? In air, in air, yeah. Wow. So, yeah. I like how you said, Star Wars? Yeah. Big shout out to... What up? Yeah, big ups to Star Wars. Big ups. All right, Liz and I are up two. All right, here we go. I am here with... Karen. Oh, can I just say something? Sure. This one gets a little tricky, so I want to tell you guys. Well, I guess you'll hear. Okay. This is Karen, and she was babysitting some kids, and they helped her out. Okay. How old are you? I'm 56. Do you live here in San Diego? I do. And have you lived here your whole life? No, I haven't. I just moved here last May. Oh, congratulations. You like it here? I love it. I came from New Hampshire. Oh, okay. I'm from New Jersey. Northeast. 56-year-old persons are smart. Persons. 56-year-old persons have wisdom. Depending on what the question is. All right. Okay, so the game is called Settle a Bet. And I have one friend that says the longest river in the world is the Amazon. Another friend says that the longest river in the world is the Nile River. So I need you to settle a bet for me. Is it the Amazon or the Nile River? I did a thing for South America. Is that Jace? Mary Lee.
It's the Nile. It's the Nile. And what's your name? Mark. And Mark, how old are you? Twelve. Great information. All right, so we have a lot of data here. Yeah. We have one kid that is telling her. Wait, what's her answer? The correct answer, by the way. We don't have it yet. The correct answer is the Nile. Wow. But we have a lot of cool data here. What we have is we have one kid telling her the Amazon, and we've got another kid telling her the Nile. The correct answer is the Nile, and we are now going to guess who she believes. And will she get it correct that it's the Nile? By the way, Mary Lee was younger than Mark. Really? So I don't know if that adds anything to it. And Mary Lee said what? I didn't get her age. She said the Amazon and said she did a report on it. And was younger. And was younger. The correct answer is the Nile. Megan, what do you think? Will she get it right? I'm going to say she gets it wrong. You're going to say she gets it wrong. I'm going to say she gets it wrong as well. Because I thought the Amazon was the longest. So did I. I'm so dumb. I did too. It's the largest. But I think she's going to get it wrong and say the Amazon because that one kid was so passionate about it. I know it. You can't say that they're wrong after they did a report on it. Right? You feel like a monster. I'm going to agree. So we all say. She's going to get it wrong. She's going to get it wrong. By the way, the Amazon is the largest in area, but the Nile just tips it out.
A little longer. Just a little longer. I'm going to make you stay with us. Because I'm going to take a quick time out, come back, and play the answer for you. I like when Sienna's picking the music. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. She had to pick some music on Monday, but I kind of messed up there because I didn't get the next one queued up. The next one was Soul for... No, Soul for Real. Yeah, that's why I said... Do I know this one? Yes. Candy Rain. Don't think I've ever heard it. Chocolate Rain. I think it's different than Chocolate Rain. Is it? It is. How old?
I don't know, 90s, early 90s, late 80s? I've never heard that. Let's get Megan back on the line. Megan, are you still with us? Yeah. All right, we're playing a little game of Settle a Bet. The way that the game works is Lauren goes out, she talks to people, asks them a question, and we wager on whether or not they'll get it right. I'd like to replay it for you so that we sort of reset what had just been asked. She asked her, what is the longest river in the world, the Amazon or the Nile? 56-year-old woman. The correct answer is the Nile. And we have to now wager on whether or not she will get it right. Did we do that yet or no? Yeah. We did. We all said no. We all said no. And here is her answer. I'm pretty sure it's the Nile. No, that was Mark. That was a little point. But they elected him as a spokesman. So that was their answer. Yep, that was their final answer. Got it. We all got it wrong. We all got it wrong. We all got it wrong. Can you believe that? Holy crap. So Woods and I tied for two. Well, there's one more. We got one more. Oh, okay. Got one more. Let's see. Here is the next question. I am here in Pacific Beach with? Patrick. And Patrick, how old are you? 26. I turn 27 tomorrow. Oh, happy birthday. Happy birthday, pal. So are you from San Diego? Not originally, no. Where are you from originally? D.C. area, Nova.
Nova? He sounds smart. Nova heard of it. Wow. Like Villanova? I don't know. I think Villanova. Oh, okay. Okay, so you know a lot about politics? Oh, yeah. You know, big time, you know, friends with Obama. You know, Biden, I guess. Now I'm questioning. He's smart. Oh, Mikey. It's probably not going to help you for this question. I'm trying to settle a bet between two friends. I got one friend that says Ulysses S. Grant. Is on the $50 bill. Another one that says Alexander Hamilton is on the $50 bill. So I need you to settle a bet for me. Which is it? Hamilton or Grant? Seems easy to me. It's Grant, isn't it? The correct answer is Grant. Hamilton's on the $10 bill. Yeah. And I think I wouldn't have known that, but I knew it wasn't Grant. I mean, I knew it wasn't Hamilton on the $50. We're going to start with you, Megan. Does he get it correct? I'm going to say yes. Sienna. Yes. Woodsy. Yes. I will say no. The correct answer. I'm going to go with Grant on the $50 bill. You got it right. You got it right. What does that mean for us? So it means Woods and Sienna both won. So whoever had them, I think M1 Harold and who had Steve? Steve had me. Steve had Sienna. Sorry about that, Megan. Try again next time. It's all good. Have a good one, guys. We love you. That is M1 Megan.
Don't forget we're going to be meeting you out at the Stone Brew on Friday. Come and hang with the Mikey Show, man. Five to seven. Going to be out at Stone Brew. It's going to be nice. The hubby's coming. Stepdaughter's coming. Let's have everyone bring their spouse. Well, my parents want to know if they can come. Of course. They're flying in that afternoon. Really? My mom's like, maybe there's a bit where you have Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien come in. She's like, I can do my fish face. I'm like, that's not going to change. I'll do my mime. I'll do a really good mime. I'll do it on the radio for you. It'll be great. I'm sure my mom and dad will go. I'm sure my mom and dad will want to be there. It's going to be great, man. It's going to be awesome. It's our first M1 event, and I want to have you come out and get this sucker done. Speaking of parents, just how...
absolutely sweet, is Sienna's mom. This made me laugh out loud, Sienna. She's a sweet, sweet woman. For those of you that don't know, Sienna is from La Jolla. She was born and raised in La Jolla. Yes, I was. La Jolla is one of the wealthiest communities, not just in San Diego, but in the world. Yeah, in the country. In the world, in the country. And this was the cutest slash funniest thing to me. Sienna wanted Yum Yum Donuts real bad. They're lacking. There's a donut shortage. There's a donut shortage. It's not a shortage. It's a non-existence. I told you, we had a Yum Yum Donuts when I was growing up. Every sleepover we ever had, we woke up in the morning to Yum Yum Donuts. Rainbow sprinkled donut holes, in particular, were my favorite. It burned down. It burned down, and I said, oh, that poor community. We should do some sort of a fundraiser. Can we? No. Can we? No. We have no donuts. Ask everyone in the community to give $5. There's no donut shop in La Jolla. I used to have donuts every day. I can't tell you the last time I had a donut. It's been a long time. God forbid I ever leave La Jolla to go anywhere else to get a donut. Dude, that's exactly what her mom did. She says, my poor mom drove all the way to Linda Vista Road. It was on my birthday early in the morning. That's right. Just to get them for you.
And I thought, oh, my goodness, risking carjackings. Exactly. You know, risking bullets flying, the whole deal. Suicide bombers. She woke up early. She got in her car. She brought all sorts of protection. That's right. Put on a flak jacket. She was ready to go, and she brought them back. What time did the butler get to Yum Yum Donuts to get the donuts? I don't know, maybe like seven. It wasn't the butler. It was the driver. The driver. That's right. No, my mom went up and she got them and she brought them for me and I had, she got 28 rainbow sprinkles. So, question. What? Where are they? They're gone. They're the holes, not the whole donut. Just the little hole. What do you mean, where are they? They're in my belly. Yeah. Not all 28. I did share. I'm not a sprinkles. Oh, God, I love sprinkles on donuts. Grow up, Pete. Easy. Okay, Mikey. Sorry, it's not Menudo, pal. Some of us like regular breakfast, all right? If I could eat one meal for the rest of my life, it would be... That was your last meal. I know. She's about to get lethal injection. You get one meal, she's like, I want Yum Yum Donuts. That's exactly... That's all I want. It can't be from anywhere else. Yum Yum. It has to be from Yum Yum. What about a health nut like you, Pepper? What's your favorite donut? Um...
Yeah, wheat flavored. Wheat glazed. Like the cinnamon sugar one. Which is really plain. That's mine too. Yeah. You like them glazed with okra? Do you get those every once in a while? No, they don't make those anymore. Not like they used to. Hard to get. You know, we didn't even mention, we forgot to mention John Forsythe. Good morning, Charlie. This is a tough one, angels. Doubt if I could do it myself, even if I wanted to. Needs the feminine touch. John Forsythe. Wasn't even seen on Charlie's Angels. It was just his voice. He was Charlie. And he passed away over the weekend. Is it Forsythe or Forsythe? Forsythe. Forsythe. This is him from Dynasty. Those banks are going to find out that they've got more than they can handle. It's Blake Carrington. Blake Carrington. Dude, come begging to me. Never saw an episode of Dynasty. Yeah, really? Never did. So you can actually see his face? Yeah, in Dynasty for sure. Oh, yeah. Very distinguished. Older, salt and pepper, gray, you know, just sharp dude. Sharp dude. Sharp dude. Well, he died on Thursday, April 1st. At the age of 92, his family announced that he was battling pneumonia and cancer. He was a good dude. Yeah, he was. So, yeah, John Forsythe has left us at 92. Our phone number, 570-1949. And if you want to text us, 949mikey at gmail.com.
Get a hold of us if you would like. Here's how would you rather works. It's real easy. I ask you a question, you answer it. Do you rather get stranded in the jungle or in the desert? Jungle. Jungle. Jungle fever. There's water there. You know why the jungle? Because you can make bedding. Mangos. There's so much more you can do in the jungle. You can get eaten by a snake, too. That'd have to be a big snake. There's rattlesnakes in the desert. There's shade. I guess I gotta go with jungle, too. Yeah, jungle, right? Oh, for sure. You can make a treehouse. Of course you can. The shade in the jungle. You can build a plane out of palm leaves. If your name is Jay Isbell, you can make a treehouse. Jay ties two palm leaves on his arms and flies out of the jungle. If your name is Mike Esparza, you cry and you shiver in the rain. What would you do in the desert, though? You'd shrivel up. Yeah, it would be awful. I would be so sunburned. What's worse, heat or cold? Cold. I think cold because it makes you shiver and then you ache. It's the worst. I think heat.
I love you. I think he too. No way. You can bundle up in the cold. Would you rather always have to wear wet socks or wet underwear? Oh, dude. I got to go with the undies. Really? Yeah. Oh, I have to go with the socks. Socks make your feet itch. You'd be so cold, though. Think about the humiliation of wearing wet underwear. Every time you stand up from sitting somewhere, people are like, dude, just peed on his... On his chair. Yeah, you just sold me on the socks. Right? Yeah. But if you wear wet socks, you're going to get those sores on your feet. Oh, God. You're going to get sores. My feet are itching thinking about it. But you would get sores on your nether regions, too. Yeah, you could. Nether. Where the chafing would happen. Yeah. Nether. Your nethers. Nether's. What would you do, Woodsy? I got to get those socks. No, underwear. You'd wear wet underwear? No way. You would go through people going, did you guys know that Wood stands up from his seat? He'd wear some thick pants. Still, it would feel so uncomfortable. It would feel great. It would feel great? Refreshing. What would you do, Sienna? Socks, 100%. Really? Yeah. I don't want anyone to think it looks like I went to the bathroom in my pants. Every time you walk, it's going to slosh. And it's going to make like a...
Dude, the feet, though, it's so itchy and gross. Itchy? Yeah, like wet socks. If you've ever been, like we played some ball games in the rain, and you get home and you pull those wet socks off, and you're like... Wrinkly toes. Wrinkly toes, you got a fork, and you're itching your feet. Ew. You guys have never done that? I'd still do the socks. Me too. No way. It's a humiliation. I couldn't stand the judgment of people going... He did something grody. What about the discomfort? Don't you think it'd be more uncomfortable to have that on your... Not the judgment. The judgment of people going, oh, look at wee-wee guy. I got wet jeans on right now. Weird. Seriously. Weird. They pulled them out of the dryer. They weren't dry. They're a little wet. Oh, I would never do that. Oh, no. What are you going to do? I'd wear a plaid bikini before I'd wear wet jeans to work. Yeah. That would look so good. Go. Go. And you're being inappropriate. Of course. Your name's Jay. Doesn't bother me. Wow, Jay. Yeah. Would you rather have brown teeth? Oh, jeez. Brown teeth or a hairline an inch above your eyebrows? Oh. An inch. I got to go to the hairline.
Are you serious? You want the hairline? Yeah. I think I do too. Over the brown teeth? Spirit of the brown teeth means that you don't have to smile for people to know you have brown teeth. They can see your teeth. Dude, yeah. You can still score chicks with a low hairline. Yeah, exactly. You're not scoring anything with brown teeth. Nothing. Very true. If you have a low hairline, if Lauren's doing it, she's putting her hair right, if you go to MikeyShow.com and you click on the camera, you can see us in the camera. You can get away with it. You can get away with it. You're talking about the actual hairline itself. Like it starts. It's where your hair actually starts. An inch above your eyebrow. But you can get a fancy haircut to make that look better. You could pull a Bret Michaels and throw a bandana and then put a cowboy hat on it. And a wig. Staple it to your hat. You'd be fine. You could get the swooped over bangs. That's like the look for like all the college kids in the Southeast Conference. I don't think there's anything that you could say that would make me pick something. Like that would make me pick having brown teeth. Brown teeth are gross. I can't do any. I'm stranded. You're done. You're done. You would never take brown teeth. No way. Never. Nobody would do it. 5701949 is our number. Jay, teeth? Oh, no. Hairline for sure. We're unanimous. For sure. Is there anything nastier than some jacked up teeth? Nothing. Especially brown. Tell me how the once.
fourth largest lake has shrunk 90%. 90. Wow. Yeah, crazy. Which lake is it? One of the Great Lakes? It is the Aral Sea in Central Asia. Really? It said it was one of the world's fourth largest lakes, has shrunk 90% since the rivers that fed into the lake were diverted into a Soviet project to boost cotton production. Weird. And this is ruined, you know, like all the fishing and everything for them. Their economy is going down over there. And now all it looks like is sandy wastelands with just little amounts of water. But the sand is being blown into like Scandinavia and Japan. And it has plague symptoms for the local people that live there. It's like the butterfly effect. You change one little thing in an ecosystem. All of a sudden there's a plague in Japan. Really? I wouldn't know anything about that stuff. You know why? Exactly. Because I'm slaying spaghetti on the couch. On the wreck. That's all I do. On the wreck. That's all I do. You know how the butterfly effect is, right, though? If not, if it doesn't have anything to do with spaghetti and me sitting on the couch. It could. It sounds smart. It could have. Whatever it is, it sounds like smart people. I thought it was a movie with Aston Kutcher. It is. It is. It is. Want to do some Woods of Wisdom? Yeah. M1 Cody says, Woods, I need advice, man. I have this girl that I'm into, and she's really cute. I've only known her for a few weeks. She's really nice.
I'm definitely getting a good vibe from her, and my intentions are to ask her out on a date. Now, this is something every guy has been through, probably girls too, says, though I recently was with a good friend of mine, he pointed out the exact girl to me and said how he thought he would ask her out in a couple of days. On the spot, he should have been like, actually, man, I'm already working that. Okay, now that's a good angle. Find out what you think. I, myself, am a pretty charismatic guy. But my friend rarely seems to talk to women at all. Kind of throws an angle in there a little bit. Yeah, give it to him. Because now you're like, oh, do I feel bad for him? Part of me wants to just move on, but I'm starting to think I'm really digging this girl. Keep in mind that if this was one of my better friends, I would back off immediately because I'm not one to break the bro code. The bro code? That's right. What do you say, Woods? Someone Cody. Oh, dude. Tough one, huh? You do? Go for it. No. No. Go for it, pal. What? Really? Yeah, hey, the guy's feeling the vibe. The guy's feeling the vibe. She's feeling the vibe. They need to be vibing together. And you tell the guy, listen, dude, sorry.
He's not a good buddy of his. It's like Fast Times at Ridgemont High, the dorky kid that says he likes a girl, and then the other guy goes and hooks up with her. You can't do that. What if it was rat? These guys are good pals. You have to talk to your buddy about it and be like, look, dude, I mean, it's still your friend. Hey, Woodsy, what about bro code? Yeah, this guy's not a buddy of his. He's an acquaintance. He called him a friend. So it's called bro code, not acquaintance code, right? Right. All right. They're not bros. They're not bros. The only thing that would change is if they were bros, right? Well, the difference is, too, is that he and this girl have some vibe going on. Right. Which is a big deal, man. So you would assume she'd say no to the acquaintance. And then maybe if that, maybe let the guy. I'm upset. I'm upset by this. This guy who emailed in, what's his name, Cody? He's obviously playing down his friendship and calling it an acquaintance. Would you just say to your acquaintance that you would like someone and want to ask them out? No, you'd only say that to your boy. Dudes do that, don't they? I'll meet a stranger and be like, I'd like to ask that girl out. Especially if this is a guy who doesn't get girls and he's shy and it's not an easy thing for him. He's not just going to tell anyone that he wants to ask someone out. Sorry, pal.
You're mean. I think it's funny that Cody really didn't have any interest in her until the guy pointed her out. No, he did. He's been vibing with her. Well, he should have said something then. He should have pulled the trigger a little early. Pepper had a great point. She goes, say it right away. Yeah. If the guy goes, I'm thinking about asking her out in a couple of days, you go. I'm already on that, pal. I'm already on that. I'm on it, dude. I got dibs. He let it fester, and now he's in a predicament. But I still, I say, man, if you have a chance with this girl, shoot for it. Now, I wouldn't do the thing where you let him do it. And let him fail. You can't do that. Because if you let him do it and he fails and then you go for it, now you look like a jerk. Like you just, ooh, look, you didn't get her, but I did. Yeah, it's like, ha ha. Yeah. Right? Or maybe just call the dude and be like, all right, man, something that you said the other day has really been tripping me out. I've been having a hard time. I've been having a hard time with it, man, and I just want to get your take. I've been talking to Katie and where we really hit it off, I was going to ask her out too, dude. What do you think? I should have said something right away. I should have said something I didn't. Yeah. That's the best thing to be. But see, then his friend can be like, oh, really, dude? When you hear I like her, that's when you like her. And he's like, no, I swear, we were vibing. And he's like, where are you? Look, he already has a problem right now. Yeah, he's toast right now. You know what I mean? Like, the best thing you can do is just call your friend and just confront him. What about passing on her then? No, he's feeling her. Well, you know, Mike, you might have something. What about that? You might. Because Cody.
He's a charismatic guy. And he said he talks to girls all the time. Yeah. Go make it right with somebody else. Yeah, it depends on how strongly he feels. If he thinks she's just another notch on the belt, maybe you pass. Just another notch in his lipstick case. That's right. That was weird. That's Pat Benatar, Mike. Yeah. I know, Mike. Why'd you say that? I don't know, because I thought it'd be funny. I know, but that's not a guy. It's a girl, dude. You said a girl's name. That's weird. Did you know Pat was a woman? Did not. Didn't know that. You ready? Woodsy? How can I get a girl, how can I get over a girl that I can't stop loving? I can't ignore her. It's not right. Plus, we go to the same church. I don't have the guts to tell her to get. How can I get over a girl that I can't stop loving? Dude, time. That's it. It's the only, the only way that you're going to get over is by time and avoidance. Well, you know, I heard if you jump backwards 45 times. Yeah. There's no way. It's time and avoidance, dude. And what you're going to do, if you're like me or you're probably like Mike, you're going to torture yourself. And you're going to make sure you show up at the 615 service, which is the service that she goes to. Yeah. Don't do it. So what you need to do, bro. How do we do that, by the way? Because we're idiots. But what you need to do is you need to avoid and ignore. Avoid and ignore. That's my advice. Yeah. Just, dude, if she is out on you, she's.
chances are probably going to stay out. A lot of times, though, if you act aloof and act like you don't care, they come running back. Works every time. Why is that? Because they're as crazy as we are. That's right. Maybe crazier. I'd say meet somebody else. Yeah. But he says he's loving this girl. He's really in love with her. Dude, you got to get her out of your head. Don't rush into something. Don't rush into something with somebody else, but get her out of your head. Don't run into her. Hang on to your friends. Guys are a good thing to have around. It's so hard to do. M1Boltfan619 says, Woodsy, there's a girl I just started seeing. Things have been amazing until after one awesome night, things went weird. We don't text or talk to each other as much as before. She says that she's stressed with some recent drama that's happened to her and that all she needs is some space. I want to try and help, but she just says that she wants space. Give it to her. Do you think I did something wrong? What should I do? Thank you, Woodsy. That's M1BoltFan619. You did nothing wrong. You did nothing wrong at all. The last memory you guys have was of an awesome night. And if this girl needs space, give her her space. Trust me. It'll work. Give her her space. Don't text her back right away. Don't call her back. Let her do her thing. And when she gets mad at you for not returning calls, say, you wanted space. I'm going to go live my life.
Let me know when you're ready. And it's going to be really hard, especially when you see her calling. Don't answer. Yeah. Get back to her later. It's true. What's that? What? You look like you have a lot of thoughts going on. Well, I do have like a kangaroo in my mouth, so I was playing around with that. I know. I have this weird, well, not me, us, human beings. We have this weird thing that happens to us when somebody says that they want space. We have this weird thing, if we love them, that kicks in where we smother. We can't help it. Well, I played that bit before. And for space, to me, that translated, I want another dude. Yeah. The space bit, give her space. Be a D in this situation and let her do her thing. Has there ever been a time somebody said they wanted space and they really didn't want somebody from the opposite sex? I'm sure. That's a good bit to get out. Isn't that always what it is? Sometimes they just don't want a relationship. Well, who needs space from somebody they really dig and love to hang out with? Especially if you're stressed out, you want someone to talk to. If you really like that person, you want to be near them. You don't want space away from them. Fist bumps. Fist bumps all around. Is this Vanilla Ice again? No. This is N.
The number two, deep. Back to the hotel is the name of it. So here's the deal. If you talk on your cell phone and you're driving, California's got some plans for you. All right? And I'll tell you what it is. I bust Miss Sienna every day at the stoplight. She's like... Also, I want to know what makes you weird. Think about this. And then I want you to call me with yours. 570-1949. In fact, the best one, I'll give you something. Brace yourself. When I go to sleep at night. Brace yourself. This is going to be a lot worse than I ever imagined. No, no, no. I think you've heard it. You turn the music down. Brace yourself. When I go to sleep at night, I'm not looking at any of you.
I'm diverting my eyes. What is happening? Like a Band-Aid mic. Just say it. I pretend. Oh, that just made me uncomfortable. Just saying I pretend. I'm a 39-year-old man. Why are you pretending, Peter Pan? I pretend that I'm in a pod. Okay, that was enough. That got me. Oh, boy. Oh, eject, eject, eject. I pretend that I'm in a pod and that it's slowly filling with oxygen. I'm done. I'm done. This is real? It's real. This is real life. And the oxygen puts me to sleep. Oh, my God. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Rebecca, don't talk to me. I'm in a pod. What makes you weird? 570-1949. Call me. What makes you? What do you do that's weird?

Woods. I can put down a 20 pack of chicken nuggets. No problem. Lauren. I have a very keen sense of smell. Sienna. Todd and I went downtown Malaya to Prospect. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. The music today. This is the script. Is that what they're called? The script? Yeah. Man who can't be moved. I instantly like it. I knew you were going to say that. I instantly like it. You never heard it in my life. Instantly like it. Shannon knows my type of stuff. I do. That's good. So, if you talk on your cell phone while you're driving, I can't imagine why you would. Come on. Well, Woodsy, they got those earpieces, dude. Those things are awful. How come? They can't hear anything. They can't hear you. What if you got to get a good one? I got a really great one called the Jawbone.
Mine always drops. Yeah, mine too. So it's disconnecting. The little Bluetooth signal isn't strong enough. You don't want to eat in granola bars. Weird. That was like a gooey granola bar. Delicious. It was very gooey. I'm on a diet, dude. Are those good for you? I don't know. They're better than the nine burritos I eat for breakfast. It's way better than burrito into DP, isn't it? I don't know. It depends on what you mean by better. There's seven grams of fat in there. It's got a lot less sugar, though. Really? Hey, by the way. I'll come back to the cell phone thing because Sienna said that there's a few things that you can do to be cutting down on, you know, calorie-wise, which I'm trying to lose weight right now. I hate it. I have a trainer, a personal trainer. I look like Chaz Bono. You do not, dude. Yes, I do, dude. You don't look like Chaz Bono. Yeah. One listener told you that, and you've been fixated on that lady that told you that. I can't sleep, dude. Stop.
Stop it. I'm doing sit-ups in my bed. Don't listen. Whoever said that, man. That was mean. They were mean. That was really mean. You mean I don't look like a transsexual hermaphrodist? No, you do not. Are you sure? No, I'm telling you, you don't. It's like looking in the mirror, dude. It's not. And they even posted a picture of it. Yeah, and it was identical. It was not. Sick. Pepper, tell him. Sienna. Tell him he doesn't look like Chaz Bono. Tell me all you want. Woods, you know, I'd be honest with you. You do not look like Chaz Bono. You are a very good-looking person. Pepper just started laughing. Well, it's because it's just so ridiculous. Pepper, does he look like Chaz Bono? No, I'm laughing because I have goo all over me. Well, maybe you don't eat your granola bar. I didn't know. She ate the same one I did. You didn't know where in the air? I didn't know there was going to be sap coming out of it. It is. It's like she just bit into an oak tree. Sap. If anybody would, it would be her. That's right. I just sucked the sap out of this oak tree. Look, it's sticking to her hand. She's got paper stuck to her hand.
Okay. I'm serious. I feel bad now. I don't like that you feel like that. You don't look like Chaz Bono. I've got you, babe. You're a good-looking guy. You surf. I'm a fat pig. You're not. You surf. I'm a Raphrodite. You play baseball. Write that down. You play baseball. You're on a league. You're a great pitcher. You have a beautiful wife. I'm a transsexual. You're very good-looking. You're very stylish. Am I? Sienna. You're good looking. Tell us. People like you. Yeah, seriously. You're a likable guy. Tell us the six ways that you can cut out the calories. Okay. Well, one you guys are doing right now, Mikey and Woods, is skip over sweetened drinks. Now, for the most part, you, Mikey, drink diet sodas. But you guys have cut that out altogether. And Woods is not drinking his Dr. Peppers. I haven't seen any Gatorades. He did get the sugar-free Red Bull this morning, which is an improvement. I did. You know, stuff like that is easy to cut out. That's, it's. It's the simplest thing. I just cut out the diet stuff. By the way, we got people on the line that are calling to tell us why they're weird. Okay. And we want you to call us and tell us why you're weird. 570-1949. And Wood's going to tell us something. But go ahead. I want the other ones too. Okay. Eat protein at every meal is another way to cut calories. Absolutely. That's what I'm saying with the burrito. The eggs will fill you up longer than like a sugary granola bar. That's right. Yeah.
Protein takes longer to break down. So if you guys are going out to eat at a restaurant or if you're, you know, have a lot of things in your kitchen, have like a brothy soup before your main meal or some nuts. Really? Yeah. No, it's on here. I'm going to bubble up some miso before I have dinner. Is that what I'm going to do? If you did, you just toss it in the microwave real quick. Is that right? Yeah. Really? I'm going to make myself a nice little broth. Okay. Well, we both know. We all know that you go out to eat almost every night, so you can easily order a seat. Rebecca just looked at her radio and went, thanks, Sienna. Thanks again. Well, Rebecca's taking care of two twins and a three-year-old, so it's okay. And a 39-year-old. And a 39-year-old. Her fourth kid. Yes. Yes. Well, okay. I mean, I think that makes sense. It fills you up quicker. What's the last one? Have a V8. Gross. Please. Those are really, really good for you and filling. I'd rather eat. Brother, I eat my own toast. Then why do you guys ask me to tell you that? I know, because I want to get mad at it. Because I want to pick it apart. I want to pick it apart and get irritated at it. Because you wanted bacon to be on the list. Yes. Oh, can you imagine? Feast on bacon. Can you imagine if that's, they're like, you know, you want to know how to get skinny? Cake and bacon.
Well, they did say bacon's a protein. They did say eat protein every meal. I have turkey bacon a lot. I'm so disgusted with myself and what I want to eat. All I want to eat is stuff. I want pancakes and potatoes. I want to slather cheesecake all over myself. You guys, let's say 21 days makes a habit. Really? If I eat soy and tofu for 21 days, I'll become a habit? Soy's not necessarily good for you. Well, bean curd, whatever you eat. I don't know. What do you grace? See, what Lauren thinks is not good for you. it would be so good for us. Absolutely. Because the alternative from us is we're not, I'm stopping cheesecake and fudge-striped candy. That's true. If I started drinking soy milk, I'd be like, no. That would be, yeah, that would be good. I just started taking vitamins again. I'm like, I'm a fat pig. Yeah, but just try it for 21 days. The soda thing, I mean, you're what? You're already like five days in or something like that. We are, dude. No soda. We went to dinner the other night and when it was time to order, I looked at Mike and he looked at me and I was like, I didn't even get water. I know. It was a bummer. I go, do you have tea? And she's like, yeah, we have passion fruit tea. I'm like, do you have regular tea, please? Passion fruit tea? Delicious. I got sparkling water. Yes. Did you squeeze some citrus in there? Yeah. Should I be doing that? Yeah, that's really good. 5701949, what makes you weird? M1 Rabbit, are you there? Yes. Hi. Hi. What makes you weird? Well, I don't think it's actually weird. Like, I have something very similar to Mikey.
I lay down in bed, and I envision this ball of light. And the ball of light sits at, like, the absolute bottom of your feet. And you're laying perfectly still, nothing's crossed. And the ball of light slowly creeps up your body. And everywhere you envision the light, you feel, like, a warm, like, flowing, like, oxygen sensation, kind of like his bubble. And you let it go, like, all the way up your chest. Like, you feel it. in your lungs and spread down to, like, fingers and toes. And, you know, it's very relaxing. Yeah. From this, like, meditation book my dad had in his hippie days. Yeah. Do you eat mushrooms before you go to sleep? Yes. Thank you. Thank you, M1 Rabbit. She's right. And so are you, Mike. Those are both, those are meditation techniques. Really imagining that you're in a pod? Yeah. Yeah, totally. Well, maybe not a pod, but imagining like the oxygen coming into your body, going all the way down to your toes. That's me. That's what it sounds like. I'm going to try it tonight. Yeah. Both of them. Watch me just zonk right out. Yeah, for sure. Woodsy, why don't you tell, why don't you tell the class, because he told me this. We're driving.
And I go, you have got to say that. Tell everybody, there's a couple things that you do. Well, when I was a little kid, I used to love taking showers. I thought it was like this magical world. And one thing I discovered is if you take a little shampoo and rub it on your lips, you can blow the sickest bubbles. The sickest, like better than anything that you can buy at the five and dime, dude. You put a little shampoo on your lips. And you can blow the craziest bubbles. You open your mouth. And you just rub it. And then you just go. Don't you get soap, shampoo in your mouth? Delicious. He does it as a 34-year-old man. Yeah, I do it every now and then. I'm so not surprised. He does it every now and then. He's a grown man. He does it. In my shower, there are literally, you can see where the splotches have hit. And it leaves like that little film. I'm a weirdo. Woodsy is the funniest scene in the movie. He is. Yeah. What else do you do? I mold my rice. What? Okay. I mold my rice. Like when you're cooking it? No, like if I, I've been, because I've been, Jamie's been gone, so I cook for myself every night. And I eat a lot of rice because it's really easy and I'll eat it with like chicken or whatever. But I'll always mold it into like a dome. With your hands? Yeah, with my hands. And I'll put on my. Like they do at like Benihana? Yeah, but I can make it. No, you do not. Yeah, I can make it. She's a grown adult man. Why? Yeah, I mold it into like a little igloo of rice.
A little tiny little pat of butter on top. Delicious. Do you do that out in public? No, I wouldn't do it in public. That would be wrong. Right. What kind of moron would do that? What kind of moron would mold his rice? He's at home. He'll put the rice on his plate and he'll make little igloo, whatever. Maybe a heart. A heart? Because they do it at Benihana. They do the heart and then they put the spatula under it and they do it like that so it beats. Mickey Mouse. Yeah, it's really cool. I can't do Mickey Mouse. I don't eat that much rice. What do you do that makes you weird? 570-1949. I eat processed ham every now and then. That's how crazy I get. I do something weird and Tiana called me. I didn't know it was that weird. I thought she was going to be like, yeah, totally. But I was like, do you ever wear Todd's shirts after he's worn them because he liked the way they smell? Weird. Stank shirts. I was like, no, I don't actually. That haven't been cleaned? Yeah, no. Like he wore them the day before. Yeah. Don't they smell like B.O. a little bit? No. No? Not my man's. Man, mine would. Mine would too. I'll wear them like to bed or sometimes I'll just wear them around the house the next day.
I would feel like it's sticky or something like it. I feel safe. You know what my wife does in that same vein? It's the weirdest. This is the weirdest thing ever. She wears your skin like a hat. There's plenty of people out there, though. But I will lay down in bed and I'll have my arms behind my head. Like, you know, when the cops have a gun to my head. Yeah. They totally put my arms behind my head. Right. Same look. She will stick her face into my armpit. Weird. Weird. So strange. Isn't that weird? And she always says the same thing. Always. It smells a little suspicious. Oh, that's so creepy. Right now, she wants to kill you. I know, she does. That's so creepy. And she'll look at me and go, it's a little suspicious. See, I was going to say, I'm kind of on board with that. Yeah. Like, Todd's deodorant smells so good. Better than his cologne. And so I like to smell it. I'm like, like when he has his arm around me, I like turn. I'm like. Yeah. And then do you say, smells suspicious? No, because I've never felt B.O. on that guy one time. It's funny. Smells suspicious. It smells suspicious. Come on, J. Hammer. Yeah, I got something weird that I do. What do you do? I bite my fingernails off and then use it like dental floss or a toothpick. Weird. Do it. Weird. Weird. Do it. No, I don't do that. I do it too, dude. I pick the snuff out of my teeth with my fingernails. Yeah. Yep.
After you chew them off? Yeah, I'll bite them off and then I'll be like, get little almonds and stuff out. I've said on the air that I'll pull out a hair off my head and I'll use it as floss. She does. When you're in a predicament, you got to get it taken care of. I didn't think there was anything gross about that at all. And people thought that was hideous. And so I said, I'll do it right now. He's flossed with my hair. You use Sienna's hair? Give me one, I want to. There's nothing wrong with it. It's clean. She's got very clean hair. It's got her oils from her scalp all over it. But she washed it. Doesn't matter. That's what everyone said. I'm getting a hair right now for Woods. Look at that. She just pulled off a piece of hair. You could actually hear it. He licked a $20 bill. Oh, weird. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's weird when you do it. Normal when I do it. Weird when you do it. Normal when I do it. Yeah, it broke apart. You have to be real gentle with it. Honey, you need to try some different shampoo. Your hair is breaking. That's right. It's breaking. M1 tree. Tree what? Wizard. Tree Wizard. What's up? What's up? Yeah, I let my, actually I request my wife pluck my nose hairs with tweezers. I tried that one time. How come you, what you did with yourself? No, on Todd. You did it to Todd? And his face went, like he had just been electrocuted. Please, the next time you do that.
Please videotape it. Please. I got to bust myself, too. What? Because I'll pick my own. Yeah. And I'll, like, I'll, I get mad. I don't know why I have bad nose hair. I'm learning way too much about you right now. I, Jay, I'll be driving. And I do things just to, you guys know me. Like, I mess with her. She messes with me. Right. But I'll. Dank a tuft. I just wham. And I'll go, here's a little bouquet for you. She flips. I call it the bouquet. And she flips out, dude. Oh, my God. She flips out. She's like, oh, my God. Now, I call it the bouquet. See, Todd does stuff like that, too. When you pluck your nose hairs, does your eye fill up with water? No, I just got four right there. And I'll go, here's a little bouquet, honey. She hates me. I'm the worst. Please don't touch anything in the studio until you use that. That is so funny. You want a little bouquet? Come here. Come here, little angel. Oh, that's so funny. Come here, little angel. Lauren is moving far, far away from him. As far as the microphone will allow me. So whatever. M1 Callie. Hey, how are you guys doing? Good. So this isn't going to sound really weird, but it's a lot weirder than it sounds. First of all, I'm not a fatty, I swear. Okay. But I have like the sickest love affair with sugar.
And the more people I meet and the more people that I hang out with, when they see my sick love of sugar, they get, like, progressively freaked out. Now, are we talking you go to a restaurant and you order iced tea and you put a lot of sugar? No, we're talking, like, yesterday I was at brunch with my mom and we had a nice little lunch together. We're getting into deep conversation and the dessert comes and I just tune her out completely. You're like me. I just dive into that dessert like nobody's business, and she's, like, really concerned. So the weirdness is that you get really, really involved, and you, like, shut everybody out when it comes to a sugary treat. Yeah, it's a love affair. My Easter basket from yesterday is gone. No way. Wait, I have a question. Favorite candy. Go. What's that? Favorite candy. Favorite candy? Reese's Pieces. Favorite ice cream. Any. It doesn't really matter. It doesn't even matter. What about cake? Cake? Well, I'm a pastry chef, so I go through a lot of cake. You're a pastry chef? Have you been getting high off your own supply? Exactly. It's like a Coke dealer that just, you know what I mean? I have to struggle to not eat all the stuff I make. It's a serious problem. That would be so hard. What's the best thing that you make?
I'd make a banana cake with a cream cheese frosting. I was just going to say, that is what I have every single year, banana cake for my birthday, and I have some in my house, and I meant to bring it to you guys today, but I forgot. Callie. I want it. Bring it. Callie. Coming on Friday. Callie. You guys want some cake? Please. Oh, we know that. Please. I don't, because I look like Chaz Bono. I do. But these other guys can eat some. I look like Chaz Bono's older, fatter brother, but I still want some. Are there nuts in it? No, I don't have nuts in it. Yes. Yes. But I would add nuts if you wanted me to. No, we don't. Don't do it. Callie, will you do that and bring some? You want to come in on Friday? Hell yeah. Callie, email me at woods at mikeyshow.com. Woods at mikeyshow.com. You got it. We'll make it right for you. We're not even joking. Callie, we love you. No, we're not joking at all. Love you. Like, that's my all-time favorite cake. I'm so happy. I want that cake right now. I was going to bring it in today, and I forgot. I have leftovers for my birthday, and it's so good, too. Sounds great. Same thing, cream cheese frosting. Thank you, Callie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Write Woodsy and we'll get it all set up. In fact, I'm going to put you on hold. Hang on. We're going to hold her to it. Oh, for sure. And we're going to make her come in. You know what was so great is that Pepper could not have been less interested in that. She's like, I don't want that. Banana cake. She's writing prose over there. Yeah, exactly. She's like, hey, if she was talking about walnuts and...
You know, Brussels sprouts, I'd be totally in. If she was going to roast walnuts and Brussels sprouts and bring that in, she'd have totally been into it. This weekend, Pepper spent her weekend drinking kombucha with her boyfriend. Weird. Saw the picture. Yeah. Kombucha. He drinks it. Yeah. Kombucha is like a vinegar-based drink. He calls it the booch. Yeah. The booch. Yeah, he's like, give me the booch. I'm reading directly from her recap. Easter Sunday, I started off right drinking coconut water and running on the beach. Oh, my. Of course you did. Of course you did. Really? She says only picked up one balloon this time, and it was latex. Yep. That probably wasn't a balloon, kid. Put together. It was. Put together. And you're being inappropriate. For sure. Your name's Woods. Nice call. That's funny. Sure it was a balloon? Yeah, I'm positive. Was it a ribbed balloon? Trust me. And you're being inappropriate. For sure. Your name's Woods. She says, I put together an Easter basket for my niece, in parentheses, who is a child. Yeah, I'm waiting to hear if Matt got his basket. Of course not. She does not believe. Where was my basket from that? It didn't exist because we don't buy each other Easter presents. And nobody in the world except for the four people in this room do I know. You are crazy.
Nobody buys each other Easter gifts. Everybody does. Not in the world. Everybody does. I went to an Easter brunch with like 30 adults. Was it at a commune? That's crazy. Well, they're boring. Seriously. None of them. They all gave their children things. Come on. You're supposed to give your loved ones something sweet for Easter. Can we talk about this? Mikey, did you get a basket? He begged and pleaded on the air for one. It's different. You didn't get a basket? Did she not hear you on the air say you wanted one? The woman's a little busy. I know. With her 39-year-old son. Yeah, her 39-year-old son named Mikey. Wow. Yeah. I don't blame her. Were you upset? Yeah, he was upset. Did you pout? No. I stole stuff from my sons. So she says that she put together an Easter basket for her niece, headed out to an Easter brunch. Kids were hunting Easter eggs. The adults were having a fun time.
She said that she spent the weekend having kombucha with her boyfriend. I ate donuts all weekend. Did an exotic dancer just walk into the room? I smell an exotic dancer. It's that. I'm a little gassy. No. Woods picked his nose hair, so I needed to give him antibacterial hand gel. It's from Victoria's Secret, and it's called Amber Romance. Yeah, I smell like Amber Romance right now. Hey, Mike, you know what I did? I forgot to add to my recap that I did. What? I made Dorian and Winston Gio's jalapeno poppers for that Easter brunch. How'd they come out? They weren't as good as his. No one can do it. Yeah, I put them in the oven, and I went downstairs to go get something, and apparently the house almost burned down. All the bacon fat was, like, dripping down onto the oven. Yeah, because your oven's never experienced bacon fat. Yeah, exactly. Jay actually can make them really well. Yeah, I mean, they were still good, but they just weren't. I mean, they were a hit. Everyone was like, what are those? And they just flew off the plate, but they weren't anything. I ate six. I made 40 of them. I ate six of those 40. I made 25.
I got one. They're so good, man. We got to get M1 Sanjaya to give us a recipe so we can put it online. Yeah. For people to try it. Maybe you can just bring them every day. He has a newborn baby. That's all right. I think he's a little busy. Why were marshmallows falling from the sky? I'm in. Because it's an awesome thing to do. What is that all about, this thing? Where's Wayne County? Wayne County. What does it say? Jersey, right? I don't know. There is a Wayne, New Jersey. I don't think there's a Wayne County. Wayne County, this was the 26th annual Wayne County Parks Marshmallow Drops. This happened on Friday in Trenton and Westland. Yeah, that's Jersey. Jersey? All right, it is Jersey. Well, apparently what happens was more than 10,000 people went to this park and a small helicopter, which they pay like $800 to fly over the park, and they drop. marshmallows on the kids and the adults at the park. This is the coolest thing ever. Apparently one year they did it and they forgot to put flour in between the marshmallows in the bag. And so they dropped it like one huge. So there's like all kinds of little techniques that you do. But how cool would that be for a kid? You have a bag and it just starts raining marshmallows above you. That'd be great. 10,000 to 15,000 marshmallows. I got ways to lower your electric bill I'm going to give you. I'm also going to tell you about the...
Alabama high school senior who got suspended for her skimpy dress that she wore to the prom. Wait till you hear what happened. Tell you all about it. I also have, I also have audio of Neil Diamond singing at the Red Sox Yankees game. Who won that game? Actually, the Boston Red Sox won the game. I thought so. Nine to seven. They won 9-7 against the Yankees. He checked. Against the New York Yankees. The Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees at a score of 9-7. So you're saying the Yankees lost. Well, what I'm saying is that's another way of saying it. I know the Yankees are Woodsy's favorite baseball team, but the thing is, is that the... Are we going to do this 161 more times? No, man, I'm just trying to give out the scores. The Yankees were leading the baseball game for a good portion of the contest. Oh, really? Yeah, and then... Those Red Sox, those, you know, those rascals. Those talented little guys. Those little guys came back there and they just beat them, you know? Free me. We'll give it away in a wild. We'll be back. Welcome back. I can do that thing that Mariah Carey does. Can you get up there? Yeah, I need to be. I'm going to turn your mic down. And I want you to try it. I need to be more. Go in the corner of the room. Oh, wow. No, I need more like water and stuff. Okay. I'll provide that. Next time. I can provide that. Do you have coconut water? Write that down. I bought one of those at Henry's. Thought it was filthy. Oh, my goodness. Are you kidding me? Filthy. It's like music to my lips. Wow. Man. Six ways to lower your electric bill. Oh, don't forget, we made an announcement earlier. We're handing our sticker out to listeners on Friday. And we're meeting you. We're going to be out at Stone Brew on Friday. Stone Brew in Escondido. It's 1999 Citricado Parkway. Beautiful place. Can't wait. Can't wait. And we'll be out there in the garden area from 5 to 7. We're going to be handing out our stickers.
Love to meet you. Be really cool. All right. You got ways to lower your electric bill? Mm-hmm. What is it? Well, your refrigerator sucks up 20% of your household electricity use. What do you do? Turn it off? Well, no, you can change the degrees. They said that when you want to set... Why? I want my milk ice cold. That's why. You want little frost bites in it? Yep. Thank you. You get it. There is one thing you can do. What? For those of you who don't mind your milk being frozen, you can set your degrees between 38 and 42 degrees in the fridge or 0 to 5 degrees in the freezer. Also, Mikey, if you have an energy saver switch on your fridge, make sure you flip it on. I do that on my dishwasher. Yeah. I don't know. The energy saver. Not all of them have it. I don't do the heat dry. No. It's bad for the environment. Yeah, it's bad for the environment. That's really thoughtful of you. It saves energy. Well, it saves energy. Well, here's another thing you can do with your dishwasher. Instead of having them dry, having the dishwasher dry them, just turn it off and let them air dry. So wait, you have to like sit there though and watch your dishwasher and be like, okay, it's about to go to the drying process. Okay, stop. Not only do you have to do that, but now you have a dishwasher that isn't serving its purpose. Well, when it stops, open it up, bring the drawers out. Let it air dry. Who has time to?
Who does this? Okay, do it right after dinner. And then when you're ready for bed. Really? Pull it out. That's what the world has come to? I do mine on a washboard. We're weird. To save water from the environment. Yeah, sure. See, I wouldn't do the dishwasher thing. And then I use it for my bath water. And then I filter that for my drinking water. And then you brush my teeth. You drink in your bath water. After it's filtered. I made a homemade charcoal filter. Jay taught me how. Using some rice. Some dry rice. And some old charcoal briquettes. Impressive. And he does the whole thing inside of recycled tires. Which is really great. You recycle them. Oh, wow. Don't use hot water when you're doing the laundry. If you must, do the warm water. Agreed. I never do hot water. You don't need hot water. Yeah, you do. Gotta get the stains out. I never do hot water. Mike, do you know that from all of your laundry experience? Yes. Yes. Actually. Back in 89 when you did your own laundry. Whatever. I'm telling you, man. My wife does not. This is my wife, sir.
philosophy on laundry. Let me get this done and over with. My philosophy on laundry was very dainty, very precise. I did laundry. I approached laundry like a serial killer's mind. You were only washing your own clothes. She's washing your clothes, her clothes, three kids' clothes. That's a bit in my house. And a million towels. She's always been the same. My wife approaches laundry and food in the same way. It's a necessity. Right. It's not something that needs to be babied. I'm with her on that one. Bro. I, on the other hand, babied everything about my laundry. I'm like, dry clean only? Yeah. Well, what I did was very, very, Important for me to have snuggle soft clothes. Write that down. Yeah. I was a snuggle guy. That is worth an applause. A self-applaus. If it says one cap full of snuggle. Three. You put two. Three. Wow. Three? Smells delicious. Smells so limey. No, it used to make my t-shirts like butter. Oh, it was great. And my wife, you know, whatever.
She's not, yeah, yeah. I won't let. Just drift. I don't. Oh, gross, dude. Drift. All natural drift. It's like sand. I know it. We just put sand in there. Yeah, go big. Why don't we just put some rocks in? Isn't that for babies? Mm-hmm. Well, that's why she uses it. She uses it for all of us, though. I keep mine separate. I don't like when Jamie washes my clothes with her clothes. Weird. Is that weird? And she's like, can I throw a couple shirts? And I'm like, no, you can't. Right. I'm like, why would you? You don't want them to smell like perfume or what? No, I just, I don't want them getting mixed up. Yeah. I'm a weirdo. Some more on how to save your electricity. Yeah. Your bills from not being so high. Don't use hot water when doing laundry. He said that. Lower the temperature of your water thermostat to 120 to 130 degrees. Clean your air filters regularly. Air conditioners work a lot harder if they're dirty. The filters are dirty. So just change them. And while you're sitting in front of the computer, turn on the sleep mode. That's a big one. Really? Yeah. I'm not doing any of that. Less power drains when you're not using it. You do any of that, Sienna? These are not difficult. I don't, I rarely, rarely use hot water when I do the laundry. I always do. Yeah, you got to. Towels, sheets, yeah, baseball gear. If you want stuff to be really clean, you got to do it. Warm water will suffice. 570-1949 is our phone number if you want to get a hold of us. Let's see. What else I got for you? Oh, the Alabama high school student.
that got suspended for her skimpy dress. Yeah, this is crazy. Why? What was the deal? Now, this happened in Oxford, Atlanta, Alabama, I'm sorry. She's a senior. She showed up to prom, so excited to go to her prom, and she gets stopped on the way in from school officials, saying that her dress is too short and the top is too revealing. Now, the school's dress code says you cannot have cleavage falling below the breastbone or hems more than six inches above the knee. Now, the breastbone is where? Right here. Where your breasts are. Yeah. So, like, I'm revealing too much right now, and, like, there's nothing you can do. You know? Alabama. But it's like, in her dress, she looks fine. Look at the picture of her dress, the top. It's fine. If you have big breasts, there's nothing you can do about it. Absolutely. There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. There's nothing wrong with that. She can't help that. She's well endowed. Why are you playing that then? Because it is a little bit backwards that they're pulling her over for that. Well, yeah. It's in Alabama. And Mobile, Alabama. The crazy thing is, out of the 352 students who attended the prom, 18 of them violated the policy. 17 of them...
chose to be paddled apparently they give you an option if you got in trouble for dress code violation you can either be paddled yes paddled like they did in the olden days or suspended a three-day suspension so this girl who got in trouble for her dress who the article's about is like well obviously i'm not going to be paddled i'm too old to be paddled this is ridiculous this is not the 1940s i'm okay with paddling Stop it. I'm okay with paddling. I'm fine with it. Your children? I'm fine with it. She's a high school senior. From parents? If my kid gets paddled at school, it's because he did something he wasn't supposed to be doing. It's called discipline. What if there's just a creep that decided to be a teacher? That's a whole other story. Shouldn't you be the only one that's paddling? Y'all, let me tell you something. This is Hoyle, y'all's station manager. I used to be a principal in Mobile. You did? I did that for years before I was a radio genius. Wait, radio genius? I am a radio genius. Oh, you are? Yes, I am. Obviously. Booger and Twitch. That ain't funny. That horn is for when funny stuff's been said. What did you say again? He's a radio genius. I am. Say it again. I'm a radio genius.
It ain't funny. It's a little funny. It ain't. I listened to some Booger and Twitch podcasts this weekend. They're good. In Mobile, and they were talking about this. Number one, 18 bucks in a row. They were talking about this story. Really? Yeah. Yeah, because I was good. I made him good. Booger was nothing until I put him with Twitch number one. Should you give him that name to you? Booger and Twitch? Yeah. Oh, yeah. What is their real name? I think his real name is John Burgermeister. That's Booger. And that's Booger. And Twitch was Dennis Twitch. That makes sense. It's better than John and Dennis. Yeah, I just said, let's make him Booger and Twitch. I like it. Mornings with John and Dennis. Well, they get it, too, because they do the Yo Mama's So Fat jokes. I told y'all they're working. I've been reading the boards. Yeah, like the Facebook boards and stuff. People liked Yo Mama's So Fat. That's right, they do. She eats wheat. That's right, they do. And I... Got my own space book. I've been on there. Wait, wait, wait. What is space book? Space book is where you Twitter what you're up to. No. You're combining like three separate social networking sites. Space book is where you go on there and you can look at healthy girls. That's creepy. What does that even mean? Healthy girls. Y'all got such pervert minds, man. What does that mean, healthy girls? Healthy girls are like, you know.
Heavy girls. You like heavy girls? I do. Oh, boy. Don't we all? No. To each their own. No, we don't. We don't? No, we don't. Oh, man. Y'all are uptight. There's nothing wrong with that. Laidback Californians, man. That's right. That's right. Well, let me tell you something. I've been on the boards, and what I've been hearing is they want more your mama so fat jokes. Yeah, they do. Because it's a street cred thing, right? Yeah, I said to y'all last week, what you lack is the street cred. That's the only thing we're lacking. That's right. So I said, why don't y'all try out some? Your mama's so fat. So top of the hour, y'all. Okay. Every top of the hour. Yep. Let's hear it. Your mama's so fat, her clothes have stretch marks. Wow. Your mama's so... Your mama's so... I'm sorry, my voice. Oh, dear. It doesn't matter. This weekend, I went out with a healthy girl. Did you try these jokes on her? I had a lot of mimosas. Did you? A lot. Me too. You're hanging out with the O'Brien clan. That's right. Your mama's so fat, she buys group insurance. That one got you, Pepper. That one got you. That horn really got me. Right to my skull.
Your mama's so fat, instead of 501s, she wears 1,002s. Your mama's so fat. What are you doing, Sandra? What are you up to, girl? She popped her button. She did. Did she just pop a button? Two of them. Oh, my gosh. My goodness. I'm having a baby. They don't run in the family of the gallop. The gallop. Brestal region. Brestal. Let me tell you something. It's a button-up. You would get suspended if you went to the prom. In Mobile, for sure. Well, there's nothing I could do. That's why I have sympathy for her. I'll give you a palin right now. It's creepy. Wow. Wow. Your mama's so fat. Wow. When she wears a red dress, everyone goes, hey, Kool-Aid. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I got one for you, dude. Go ahead.
Your mama's so fat, she uses a tire as a headband. I'm getting it, aren't I? You get it. Your mama's so fat, when she dances, the band skips. The band. Oh, wow. See, I told you your words. Can you say our favorite one again? Your mama's so fat, she don't like wheat. She likes wheat thick. Your mother's so bad she eats wheat thick. That's right. I love that one. Coyle's got it dialed in. He is. He's starting to grow on me. That's right. He's smart. Maybe we need to do some of those. Maybe we need to run some more. Top of the hour. Top of the hour. You guys want to hear Steven Tyler sing God Bless America? Yes, please. He did it this weekend. He did it yesterday. Where was that again?
Fenway Park. Yeah, yeah. Toilet of the East. Who lost that game? The Toilet of the East. The Yankees lost 9-7. But Woods won't report on it because he likes the Yankees. They didn't even play. Yeah, they did. He sounds good. I think he sounds way different than Steven Tyler. I think he sounds like he's trying out for American Idol. Well, you know something. He had surgery on his vocal cords. Oh. He had nodes. He got them removed? Yeah, he had nodes on his vocal cords. From singing improperly? Yeah, yeah. Or the pounds of cocaine that he ingested in the last 35 years. That might have been part of it. I don't think that has anything to do with it. Really? Well, I'll tell you this. I think it changed the way he sings. Booze and whiskey. I don't think he sounds like a country singer. He doesn't sound good in my opinion. He drops the ball here in a minute. To the ocean. Pitchy, darling. When he said, God, that's what I like. My soul. Fun. I think she was pretty smoking. Really? Yeah. She had the lips, too, so I'm thinking she's a Tyler. She should have sang the whole time. He needed a little help. How about Neil Diamond? Oh, God. Neil's like a torture for me, dude. Neil Diamond sang, too. Torture. This song makes me sick.
Why? Because it's their theme song. Take the mic away. Wow. It's just talking. What's going on? It's just talking. Tell me about it. There you go. He's picking it up. Got this. Yum. Touching hams. Mayonnaise. Rye bread. You're all a bunch of architects of music, is that it? We are, Neil. Neil, I gotta ask you, dude. What? Why the Red Sox? Why? I'll tell you why, Sally. Because... Nice dig. Because I love them. Because the Red Sox are all American, alright? Are they? Yeah, they are. Are they? Yeah, they are. Are they? Yes.
They are. Are they? Let me tell you something, Woods. I was cranking out hits when you were still nursing on mama. Probably true, dude. You're like 90 years old now. I'm going to make up for that. I agree with you. I didn't sound good. But that's why I got this suit out of the dry cleaner this morning. It looks good. Yeah, it does. It's a cape. You look sharp. You look like the Jewish Elvis. Thank you. You're welcome. Let me tell you something. By the way, Red's popping out of that thing over there. Absolutely. She had to harness the girls. That's inappropriate. Oh, really? I'm pregnant. I had to get maternity clothes. Listen to me. It's not working out as well as I'd hoped. I am about to. Don't. Don't copy me. Pepper. I don't like it when you copy me.
We know, Neil. Neil, you need to just learn to ignore it. I can't block it out. Pepper knows how to get under his skin. Yeah, I don't like it when she does that. Stop it! You have to just pretend like it doesn't bother you. I can't pretend. Every time I speak, she does it. Okay, well, say something really fast. Something really fast. That was predictable. Neil. I'm trying to speak. Just make fun of her. I'm a ditzy blonde. You got her, Neil. Got you that time, didn't I? I'm going to make... Stop it! Let him make up for it with his beautiful, awful, Red Sox-loving self. Maestro.
You ready to do me a live performance right now? I'm ready, Neil. Everybody silence. Here is the deal. Oh, God. I am quite old and grumpy. Say that again. Eat lots of bran to make it right. I have a thing. I have a thing for redheads. Oh, yeah. Lucille Ball was my prompting. Oh, dear. Oh, my God. Old. Real old. Oxygen. And Ben Gay. Oh, wow. Feels so good. I'm still alive. Yes, you are. Even though I'm old as wood. That's true as well. You can't deny. Oh.
I amazed you when I stood. This is true. It is impressive. I'm getting irritated. Why? Because my Metamucil hasn't kicked in for four days. That's why. Get out of here with this already. Get that guitar out of my face. Please. Don't throw that easy with the tailor. Listen to me. There's a lot of people in the room. Let me just talk to you for a second. I'm in negotiations right now to play at Cosella. It's called Coachella. What's Coachella? Coachella is a great big music festival where they burn a big straw man. No. Right? That's Burning Man. That's Burning Man. I thought it was the same thing. You called it Coachella. I'm playing Coachella this year. I'm going to play with Nate Doggin. It's Coachella. Coachella. Light of my hookah. Sienna's picking the music today. That's why we're hearing a little John Kruger with Jack and Diane. That's right. Hey, dudes. I have a list of mistakes that we make when we're dating the ladies. Lots of them. Lots. When we're hanging out with the ladies, we make some mistakes. I have them for you. And I'll tell you what they are. We're going to do Name That Tune so you get to pick a horse. That's going to get crazy. That's going to get crazy. It's coming up next.

Quaker State, real durable oil. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. When I used to be on the radio and my name was Michael Shannon. And I wore suspenders. Woods. I buy sticker price for everything. Lauren. Yes, I'm going to get a wheatgrass shot. Zienna. That's why I keep the antibacterial hand gel in my purse at all times. And Jay. I love that. sappy movie on FM 94.9. I think this is a very underrated band. Very musical band. I love them. Love The Fray. Love The Fray. And it took my wife
Forever to get, she goes, because my wife's a lyrical snob. She loves the words to songs. She was responsible for me liking Fiona Apple. I don't know why I feel real girly saying that. No, I love her. She's great. Really? Yeah. She's a girl that guys can like. Yep. Is that right? Yep. Yeah. An artist, I should say. A female artist. I like that, Van La Frey. Welcome back. All right. I got a list of mistakes. That us fellas make. Woodsy, do you think that these will apply to us? 100. Really? Yep. All right. Woodsy and I are very similar in those ways. Morons. Mm-hmm. For sure. What do you got, Sienna? When guys are overly possessive. Yep. Yeah. Been there. Check. I mean, the girls. Girls are usually the ones. So that's why when the guys are, it's like even worse. I've never been like that, man. Yeah, really? Like that with me.
Yeah, man. I mean, I'm like that, I guess, with my besties. You're like that with me. You know, listen, man. Only reason I'm like that with you, dude, is because you do that thing, man, where your woman comes into town. It's like we're not even friends anymore. You know, dude, I got to spend time with my wife. Dude. I'm going to tell you from years of experience, it never pays off, all right? I'm married to her, so I think it's paid off. You can't just discard your friends, man. I'm done. Just because you and I have never actually hung out together doesn't mean that we ain't best friends, man, because we are. We haven't hung out either, Frankie boy. I want to be possessive of you. I don't want you. Come here. Let me possess it. Don't you touch me. I'll possess it. Let me possess it. You love it. Don't touch it. You know you love it. Don't touch me with your hands. Oh, knock it off. You got your hands. They're cold. Your hands are cold. Come here, you. Don't you touch me. Don't. Hey, I know you like bananas. Come here. You're touching me. He screams like a girl. Don't you. Okay, stay right there. Don't touch me.
Good lord. I think he really screams. He screams like a woman. No offense, Lauren. What do you mean by that? Another dating mistake guys make is when their place is disgusting. Check. Huge turn off. Never didn't work for me though. Ever. Doesn't matter how good looking or great someone is. If I walk in and your place is gross and I go in your bathroom and there's Hair on the floor, and the seat has not been cleaned. Don't you ladies just think to yourself, ah, he's a guy. No. Yes, you don't? I think he's a slob. Oh, I could fix him. Oh, Todd's place was so nice. The first time I walked in, I was like, wow. Really? Spotless. I grew up with brothers that were disgusting. Sorry, guys. But yeah, they were like, ugh, you know? And so when I dated somebody that wasn't like that, It dawned on me. No, it's not all guys. It's just guys that are lazy. Yeah. So Matt's festivious? He is probably neater than I am. Woodsy, you've never been that kid. Never been neat, dude. Ever. It's never. Kid closed. Did you get a lot of repeat customers? Yeah. Kid got plenty of repeat business. Don't worry about me. Oh, wow. They were probably hammered. Yeah. Most of the time. Kid closed a lot of biz back then. What else, Deanna? This is the worst.
When guys act like a tough guy. Oh, you don't do that. You don't. No, Woodsie, do you? Yeah, absolutely. You're the tough guy? I'm talking like when they try to get in a fight and stuff like that. It's like, dude, we know you're tough. See, Woodsie didn't try to get in a fight. Woodsie just got in fights. Fights try to get in with him. Fights try to get me. Yeah. Yeah. But not anymore. He's matured. Three for three so far. Perfect. Have I? What else? I hate this one. Acting differently when you're with your friends. Check. Check. You're with your girlfriend because you like her. Like Danny Zuko. Check. That's not true. Jamie is your best friend. There's no question. Frankie, don't get upset. Yeah, you don't have to keep saying it, man. When my boys are around, I feel bad for her sometimes. I don't make fun of her or anything, but like I'm totally. Yeah. I can be a little different. And she's different with her girlfriends, too. You just can joke around differently with your own sex, probably. Absolutely. Yeah, but boys, guys are more like... But women are always like... They make fun of us? I need your constant attention. What? Is that what we're like? Oh, really? Oh, okay. I feel very unmanly because I'm not that.
So I feel un-guy-like right now. You're a little bit un-guy-like. I'm as feminine around my guy friends as I am around my wife. That's who I am. You're transparent, though, Mike. That's good. Yeah, I don't act. But you know this about me, Woods. Oh, yeah. I don't expect you to, though. I'm not good at... I was about to say it, and I'm like, that will be recorded and played back. Say it. I am... You're more comfortable. More comfortable with the girls. Yeah. He has more girlfriends. Don't worry about that. We've already got that. We've already got that clip. A couple times. Yeah. It depends on what friend the guy's hanging out with because some, they're like really just try to be so funny and farty and annoying. Farty. But then sometimes they're like, you know, if the guy they're with has a girlfriend or a wife, they're a lot more touchy, kissy, nice. I'm not good at pretending to be guy-ish. Write that down. Yeah. I'm not. Speaking of farty, not to take us down a rabbit hole, did you see that farty movie? No. Okay. Oh, the Miley Cyrus movie? Oh, yeah. I heard that the movie itself would have been a lot better. If she wasn't in it. Yep. Yep. Weird. That's what I heard. Did you see it? Well, the reason that people are going to see it is because of her. Did you see it? I was going to. I couldn't have time. I had Easter and my birthday. There was a lot going on there. I was shopping for Bentleys. I couldn't. I didn't have time. I was finding Bentleys inside eggs, guys. Duh. What else do you think I was doing? No, it was not the number one movie. Clash of the Titans was. Nerd.
Followed by Why Did I Get Married To? How to Train Your Dragon. Miley Cyrus was at number four. Sorry to take us down the hole. I want to know what else I do. What else guys make mistakes doing dating? They act differently around their friends. When you're going to say you're going to do something, just do it. What if you're unreliable like me? Check. Yeah, it's a check for me. I'm unreliable. But that's a nightmare. If you're like, oh, yeah, on my way home from work, I'm going to stop and pick this up. And you don't. It's like, okay. That's just a person thing, though. That's not a guy thing. You guys aren't nightmares at all, either. Yeah. Not nightmares at all. Here's a better example. Say we have a work party or something. And I'm like, okay, don't forget my work party is on Friday. You're going. And he's like, well, I don't like the people you work with or something like that. And you're like, it doesn't matter. You're going. You're my date. You have to go. And then he blows out the last minute. Pepper. Yes. Go ahead. What? What's that? Never mind. That I said this is not a list about women, this is a list about men? Mm-hmm. Yeah. So you're telling that to Woods? I am. You guys aren't nightmares at all. Hey, this is not a list about women. You guys don't flake on stuff? Hey. Yeah, it's a people thing. Oh my gosh.
If you said, I want you to be my date to this work party, not only are we going to make sure we look smoking hot. You know why? We're going to smell amazing. You know why? And you're going to be stoked to be having this on your arm. Because you want to sniff around who we work with. No. 100%. You are the most. You guys want to pee on us so that they know that we are yours. Mark your territory. Yep. You are sketchy, Woods. That's a true statement. You know that that is a little bit true, right? Maybe they just want to know the people that you've been talking about for the past couple of months. Maybe Sienna doesn't let her husband have a Facebook. He doesn't want a Facebook. Why do we have to talk about this every day when he's at work and he can't call in and defend me? Flirting with slash checking out other women. I don't do that. I don't. You shouldn't do that. Once does every single one of these. Yeah. You do that in front of your wife? Yeah. You check out the lady in front of you. No. You know that. She knows that. She's like, really? D? Yeah. That is the worst. Like, way to make us feel like we're beautiful. Really? Yeah. Be secure in your own skin. Because I put a ring on it. Is that right? Yeah. Now, this next one has exceptions. Baby talk in bed. Check. If you're, like, if you're in love.
and like fully together, then it's okay. But if you just start baby talking with someone that you don't even really know that well, that's weird. Run this town, Jay-Z, Rihanna. Won't play a name in that tune. Let's do it next. Call, pick a horse. 570-1949. You're going to either pick Sienna, Woods, or Pepper O'Brien. Call now and do it. Woods, Woods, Woods, Woods. I got to get rid of the Woods callers. I'm upset right now.
You just hurt my feelings. Yep, mine too. You guys, I'm being honest with you. It doesn't matter. You don't need to be honest. Blame Jay. Are you going to say, Sienna and Lauren, you both look fat today? No, because you don't. No, because I'm the one that looks fat, Chaz Bono. You don't need to say anything highlighting one person. How can I make it better? I can make this right. You can't. It's already come out of your mouth. But I love you. I know. We love you too. But, you know, you hurt our feelings a little bit. We fight a lot. We yell. We jump up and down. If you know what it is, you got to say your name. If Woodsy wins this, I'm going to be furious because of what's just happened. Don't forget. I have to call your name out in order for you to. I haven't done that in weeks, so you don't need to bring it up every time. I'm going to play movies. He's a professional now. Jay? Yes, sir. Friday, we're going to be out at Stone Brew from 5 to 7 p.m. And we're going to be giving out our new M1 Nation sticker, which is awesome. If you want to see it, go to MikeyShow.com. You can click there on the M1 Nation sticker, see what it looks like. It's awesome. Be hanging out in the garden area at the bistro on Friday. It's going to be a good time. And, yeah, it's going to be cool. Hell, what do you got coming up? What are you going to be doing today? I'm some Clash. Clash, weird. Yeah. I did. I grabbed the Clash. Self-titled. I did grab Broken Bells in the new Phoenix record, but I'm going to play. The first song I'm going to play is probably my favorite Jane's Addiction song of all time. Nice. Mountain song. Nope. You have to listen and find out. Ocean size. Listen. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. And we will be back to do this all over again tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. The Mikey Show is out. Late.
