Sienna reports on a touching story about a baby reunited with parents after being buried under rubble for four days in Haiti. Are there more earthquakes than normal? Jay and mike discuss their acupuncture experiences. Woods and jay went to media night at Petco Park and The Kid got to hit from home plate. A M1 calls in after getting food at a restaurant with a B rating and Mikey gets skeeved. Woodsie is a goofball and needs his wife to tame him. Nobody can make Pepper’s bed, but she finally taught Matt. Michael Shannon returns to post some songs. Things you do for your spouse you don’t like doing is next. Woods and Sienna eat ghetto spaghetti at least once a week, and Matt sends in a picture of Pepper’s bed, to the amusement of the rest of the cast. A Chinese boy sounds just like (maybe even better than) Whitney Houston audio! Hoyle lays down some funny but necessary ground rules for the Meet & Greet. The Kid is not a fan of Arizona’s tough Sheriff Joe. M1 Amber calls in about getting her nose pierced behind her boyfriend’s back looking for sympathy but Mikey calls her out then calls up her boyfriend to tell his side of the story. Mikey considers shaving his goat while keeping a full mustache. The nose ring debate continues as M1’s weigh in. Pepper tells poor Matt that he bought a pair of mom jeans. Next is tips for getting a good night’s sleep which leads to a comical session of pod jokes at Mikey’s expense. Mikey plays Tim & Eric’s classic song “Sit on You”. Yawning is Woodsie’s bit, so don’t tell him he can’t do it! Email about people who leave dogs and kids in a car touches off a big debate. What was the moment you fell in love with your spouse?

The show opened with Mikey, Woodsy, Pepper, and Siena sharing ridiculous childhood wake‑up tactics, from a Texas mom’s “T‑T‑G‑U” chant to a dad’s orange‑juice‑kick routine. They then moved to serious news, recounting the Haiti baby‑survival story, the Massey Energy coal‑mine disaster with 600 safety violations, and a preview of Tiger Woods’ Masters appearance, while debating the effectiveness of acupuncture after Mikey described a painful “needle‑twisting” session. The hosts detailed Mikey’s obsessive nine‑pillow bed‑making ritual and promoted the upcoming Stone Brew meet‑and‑greet where limited‑edition stickers would be handed out. Finally, they played a viral clip of a 12‑year‑old Taiwanese boy singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You,” prompting awe and jokes about the boy’s potential stardom.

KBZT San Diego. A Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. It's a Mikey Show. Rise and shine, sweet pea. Wakey, wakey, eggs and bakey. A lot of your alarms clocks go off this time. And so, you're waking up to the sweet and sultry sounds of The Mikey Show. Did you ever have a really annoying wake up? Like... Something that your mom used to do to get you up out of bed and used to drive you batty? Like, wake up, wake up, you sleepyhead. Yeah, something like that. I have the worst one. It wasn't me. It was a friend of Jamie's. His mom or her mom used to come in and she used to go, she's from Texas, so she used to go, T-T-G-U. Time to get up. Oh, wow. Would that drive you batty? That would drive me nuts. Drive me nuts. My mom wasn't the sappy.
funny, let's make jokeys. Yeah, mine neither. I had friends that were, their moms would do that, but not my mom. My mom would just slap the foot of the bed, get up. My dad used to do military thing. He'd kick the bedpost, the frame of the bed. You are kidding. Yeah, you'd kick it. Wow. I always slip on my stomach. I slip on my stomach and my dad would take a cold glass of orange juice and he'd just... right in the center of my back. No way. And before he would leave, I'd have to down the whole thing of orange juice because he knew that I'd just go back to sleep. So he's like, drink it. I got where I could pound a thing of orange juice to go right back to sleep. That is an awesome story to me. I know. That's like a scene from a movie. I know. That's great. Welcome to the program, everybody. That was the sweet, sultry sounds of our producer, Jay. My name is Mike, but I go by Mikey on the radio. And wish I could change it, but can't. Uh-oh, Pepper. Are you okay? Yes. I got a little pepper up my nose. She did. Had to sneeze. That's right. Let's see. I already told you. I'm 39. Woodsy's the guy sitting across from me. And Woodsy is 34 years of age. He's our sports guy. Pepper O'Brien's the one with the Jim Morrison t-shirt on today. She's huge. She's 30 years of age. No.
29? I'm sorry. Wow. Oh, my gosh. You can't just end my 20s like that. Just like that. Just like that. I just cut them off like a siphon. You know why I did it? What? Because I'm going to Siena, and I know Siena just had a birthday. Right. And birthday was in my head. Rounding up. I was rounding up. But Woods was still 34, not 35. That's true. I'm perfect. His birthday's first. That's right. Siena is our news girl. She is 25 years of age now. She's been 25 for a couple of days. Yep. And so live with it. Love it. Call us, by the way. 570-1949 is our number. You can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. And don't forget to spread the word that on Friday we are going to be hanging out at Stone Brew with you, doing our first meet and greet, our chance to go out and hang with everybody. And we'd love to meet you. So come on out and hang with us. You know what drives me crazy? What? This is not going to mean anything to listeners. This is a self-indulgent moment. There's a lot of processing on my microphone, which means that...
My voice is changed through the different instruments that we have. But you fixed that. Kind of did. Kind of fixed it. But I'm noticing that there's still processing on my voice, which is great. I mean, to the listener, it sounds, you know, beefy. Does it sound like Barry White? Yeah, it sounds like, you know, 94.9. Yeah, FM 94.9. Hoyle? Yeah. But I need it to be. I need to talk to him, see if I can make it to where it's naked. Completely naked. Weird that you would like that. Let's get a laptop on top of your microphone, too. That's right. I'm just glad he wears his clothes in the studio. Whatever. Whatever. So, what was I talking about? Sorry, I'm distracted by the tingling in my hands. Going to the chiropractor again today. He's doing wonders for you. I'm like, he's just sitting here throwing punches. Yeah. Seriously. My fingertips are all tingly. Yeah. Now it's gone into my left right hand. Ooh. The tingliness. Perfect. Maybe I should see an actual doctor. Yeah. How about an MD? Yeah. You should see my chiropractor. He's a voodoo witch doctor. Are you sure? It's because I had that tingling and it turns out I had a vitamin B12 deficiency. Maybe I do.
How are you deficient of any vitamins? I don't have the correct enzymes, the digestive enzymes to break down the vitamin B12. You know what? I had gastric bypass surgery because I was morbidly obese. How are you? I'm just, you know, clinically letting you know. And so I had the gastric bypass surgery and they told me when I had it, they said, you know, you're going to be B12 deficient. They told me that, but it was never an issue. Maybe that's what it is. It started with me and it was really irritating and scary. Yeah. Oh, I know what I was telling you. I was in the middle of telling you how on Friday we're going to be out at Stone Brew meeting you. We're going to give out our brand new M1 Nation bumper sticker, which is really cool. If you want to see it, go to MikeyShow.com. And it's after work, too, 5 to 7. So you don't have to leave early. Just come hang out. Happy hour. It's a good way to kick off the weekend. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be insane. So come and hang with us. So this is an uplifting story right away. There was a baby that has been reunited with its parents that was buried under rubble. I'm going to guess in Haiti or in Haiti. This is the craziest story. It makes me want to cry just even talking about it. This little baby, she's five months old, was survived in rubble for four days on her own. Oh, my gosh. Right after the earthquake in Haiti. During the earthquake, she and her mother were separated. And her mother was frantically looking everywhere for this. It's a newborn baby. Right. You know, at that point, the earthquake happened in January.
And someone found her five days later, pulled her up from the rubble. She was alive. Right. I mean, which is just amazing. No food, no water, no nothing. How old, you said? Tiny baby. She was like a month old then. Oh, wow. A little more than a month. She's five months now. And she was found with a fractured skull and broken ribs. They took her to the U.S. to the hospital for treatment of her injuries. They did a DNA test because, you know, eventually the story came out. The mother was still looking for her baby, her husband. You know, they were trying to find their child. And yesterday they were reunited for the first time after DNA tests. Incredible story. Incredible. I mean, just a little, little baby. And she's so cute. That is so awesome. Baby Jenny. She's a survivor. It's a miracle. I mean, I just, I can't even imagine. Can you imagine how? emotionally charged that reuniting must have been? No. So cool. Wow. So cool. Also, we have a update for you on what's happening with the...
Coal mine situation. Yes. And the coal mine, the West Virginia coal mine, which had the big explosion on Monday, killed at least 25 people. They are in a little bit of trouble for some safety violations. Apparently, over the last year and a half, they have set a record for safety violations. Yes. They've been cited for 600 violations within the last year and a half. And I'm talking about not properly ventilating the. The highly combustible gas, methane, which is a big part of it. And the mine owner, Massey Energy, is accused of putting production before safety in his mines. You can never do that. I mean, especially in that industry. I'm surprised that they weren't hyper anal about making sure that stuff was taken care of because they would never want to get jacked. 600 violations in 500 days. Crazy. That's insane. It's a violation a day. Yeah. And what makes him look even worse is that their profit has doubled within the last year. You know what I mean? It's not looking good for this guy. They're about to kiss it goodbye. I mean, at least 25 people just died in that mind. That's insane. 570-1949 is our number. And you can also reach us by text, 949mikey at gmail.com. Now, why I give that number out, because you can call us for any reason.
And here's what we know. We know that there's a lot of you listening. Here's what else we know. There's a lot of you that are shy and you don't pick up the phone to call us about anything that you want to. What I want to reassure you of is that Jay is a very kind man. So when you talk to him, he'll be nice to you. And then when you get through to us, we'll not bite you either. We'll be nice to you as well. So you can give us a call about whatever. Questions, comments, anything going on in the news that you want to talk about. Something that you saw on TV that you want to talk about. Whatever. You know what? One thing that I think is really interesting right now is the earthquakes that are happening all over the place. Everywhere. Yeah. I think part of it is that they kind of trigger each other because the world's plates are moving around. Yeah. So it does this to this and it just unsettles everything. Because, you know, the earthquake that we just had in Mexico was 7.2, which is huge. And then we just had another one, right? Yes. In Indonesia yesterday, a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck. Now, I'm just going to, you know, I don't want this to be the downer hour right away because, you know, so far there's been no damage reported so far. No deaths, no nothing. Right. But it did trigger two tsunamis. Really? Yeah. The earthquake yesterday. Now, they were small tsunamis. They say they're about a foot in height. You know, like I said, nothing crazy. But the initial shaking from the earthquake was pretty big. It lasted about three minutes. You know, people definitely felt it. That's crazy.
Crazy, a three-minute earthquake. Yeah, right after the earthquake, the tsunami warnings were issued. Wow. In Indonesia, off the coast of the city? Yeah. All the residents in the coastal towns, they went inland to higher grounds and stuff. Well, no one earthquakes from living in the Bay Area. That's where I grew up was the Bay Area. The longer they go, the more nauseous they make you feel. I'm sure. Oh, yeah. Three minutes? That's a long time. That's the longest earthquake I've ever heard of. That's a long earthquake. Yeah. I don't like them when they're 30 seconds. It seems like an hour and a half. It does. But anyway, so that's what that is. We got a text from somebody, M1 Rowan, who said, Mikey, you may be getting carpal tunnel. It's my left hand, though. I don't work with a mouse or anything. I don't do it. You know what I mean? I don't know why. I thought it was related to my back, but people are saying, no, the nerve endings that run through your hand. originate from your upper back. So who knows? Well, it's weird that it happened when you injured your back. I mean, I'm sure they have something to do with each other. Well, I'll tell you what, though. I was in a car wreck and injured my back, and I started to get that tingling down the leg, the sciatic nerve. And then, like, a couple months later, my hands. So I thought, obviously, they're correlated. Not at all. It was the B12. Really? Not that I'm a doctor or anything. They start giving you B12 shots and it change?
Oh, yeah. Really? I'll tell them. They were like, we usually see this in Senior Citizens. This is very strange. Thanks. They're like, do you sit in your bed a lot on a computer with no clothes on? Do you go to cafeterias at 3 for dinner? Yeah, I do. Get the happy. Are you at Applebee's all the time between 5 and 7? Early bird. Early bird. Do you play backgammon? Yeah. Let's see. M1 Sergio. Is that right? Yeah. What's up? What's up? How are you doing? I'm good, man. Well, I'm just, I'm 18, and I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do when I get out of high school and stuff like that. And I started, I like drawing and stuff, so I decided I'm going to start doing tattoos. Really? Well, that's cool. Yeah, so I've been on the internet and looking up and seeing how to make a tattoo gun and stuff like that, and looking through schools here in San Diego. Did you say how to make a tattoo gun? Yeah. Now, you don't mean actually make it from scratch, do you? You mean how to buy the different parts to make a real one and then make a real one? Because you don't want to make like a prison tattoo deal. You would probably want to have a real tattoo gun. Well, I was going to make a prison tattoo one first, just to start off. Just to see. Just to practice on your buddies. Practice on, yeah.
That's usually the way everyone starts is on their friends. Yeah. Oh, wow. Yeah, I knew someone who's real big in L.A. And they started like that. That's how he started, just tattooing all of his friends. And then his friends, I mean, he just gets better and better and they do it for free. Yeah. And then you have pictures to show, you know, of tattoos that you've done. You know what I've always wondered? Huh? How nerve-wracked are you if you're a tattoo artist and it's your first tattoo? Oh, my gosh. Seriously. Or you cut hair. And it's your first real haircut? But you're a doctor. It's your first surgery. Yeah, your first surgery, more importantly. Yeah, you're a heart surgeon. Vomit. This is my first heart, just so you know. Pilot. You're my first heart today. Pilot. First commercial flight. Well, Sergio, what were you calling? Were you calling to ask something? Oh, I'm just calling to see, like, if anybody has advice, like, how to, like, get started and stuff like that. Like, where to get the ink and, like, how to get supplies and stuff like that. I know that you, a lot of people, they... They tattoo oranges and citrus and stuff like that to practice. Yeah, I was going to say, yeah, practice something besides skin. Mm-hmm. But if there's anybody listening that can answer that question, they can call 570-1949 and Sergio, you can listen and find out what they say. All right. Thank you, Mikey. Good luck with that. Good luck, dude. Thanks, dude. Maybe you could intern at a tattoo shop. They could try that. Apprentice. Yeah. M1 Charlotte. Hi, Mikey. I was wondering if your...
tingling in your finger was down in your pinky and ring finger. It's all my fingers and my left hand. All of them. I had the same thing and I went to a chiropractor for quite a while and it didn't help at all and I finally went to a physical therapist and I was complaining more about pain in my neck and my back and he said oh well are your fingers tingling at all? And I said yeah that's weird. And then he said, okay, well, you have a pinched nerve in your neck. And he gave me some exercises to do, and I've been cured for about three years. That's awesome. Awesome. That is awesome. Good for you. And I'll look into it. You know, I got acupuncture, which I felt actually helped me, but it skeeved me out. Yeah, it's really creepy. I can't picture you. No. Of course you can't. I can't either. You're supposed to be all calm and not think about anything. Well, let me tell you something. First of all. Awesome acupuncturist. She's great. She says, we walk into the room. She says, you've ever had acupuncture? I said, no. And she says, okay, all I need you to do is roll your pant legs up. Like Huck Finn? Roll them up to the knees, Huck Finn. Stand on your head. Remove your shirt. Yes. Lay face down here on the table. Well, yeah. She's a doctor, Mike. I know it. No, she's not a doctor. She's an acupuncturist. She had to go to medical school.
And all I know is that that made me very uncomfortable. I'm sure. Did you have to take it off in front of her? No. That's more awkward. Can you imagine humiliating? Can you turn your back, please? Yeah. Can you pretend that I have a shirt on when you do this? Seriously. And, yeah, it felt like little throwing darts, like little... And then they put the needle in, and when they put the needle in, then they twist it. You know, they twist it around so that it gets the perfect, you know, gets the perfect whatever. And then they leave them in there for 15 minutes. And then they come out. They take them out. Taking them out was nothing. Putting them in made me a little uncomfortable. Did you have them in your face? Nope. Head? No. Just back. No, they ask you where the pain is. They know where the little pathways and highways travel. Do they? Yeah, they do. Do they? You have to go to school for it. They have a map. You don't believe it? Dude, I'm telling you. I said I can't. I can't really. fight it because i think it worked i'm just too scared a lot of insurance companies starting out on the east coast are beginning to accept that as you know it's insane i had it from this one guy and he put it with the top of my head he's like okay you know let me just see how this works and just you know relax he goes i'm gonna turn it up a little bit and he says if it's too much just just tell me and it i swear it felt like the top of my head was just gonna i like a it was gonna blow off turn what up
He was spinning the needle. This guy travels the world. He travels the world doing this. And that's what he says when he twists the needle. He calls it turning it up? Turning it up. And he turned it up, and I was like, what? And he's like, he just turned it down. He's like, okay, that's a little much for you because I couldn't even communicate. Yeah. I don't understand how it works. It's all the nerve paths. The nerve paths. And the chiropractor, he said to me, he goes, when I was 16, my dad did acupuncture. He goes, like any kid, I was, you know, being mischievous, found his acupuncture needles. And he said, and I just wanted to test it on my hand. And he said, so I put it in my hand. He said, the whole right side of my hand went numb for a day. And he said he was so worried, but he was afraid to tell his dad what he did. And so he just hoped that it would, and a feeling eventually came back. Thank goodness. Yeah. But I mean. Don't mess with that. There's stuff in there. There's real nerves that do real things. Yeah. Did she use any like different like oils or medicines or anything or just the needles? She just used the, just used the needles and she put a, she put a bunch of herbs. Woods is already laughing.
Welcome to California. Seriously. Good Lord. You put a bunch of herbs in a bag and microwaved it. What? I'm just telling you my story. Did you make a bag of tea? You ever hear of an MD? How about that? There are other ways besides Western culture. The best way is to boil salt water. And stick your face. Just go get a massage. Chew on a wheat stove. It's been traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. We're not Chinese. Doesn't matter, though. You have to open your mind a little bit. It's an ancient Chinese secret. For Chinese. I can't deny it. It worked. But I'm just afraid to do it again. Did it work? As you're sitting here going, my fingers hurt. My fingers hurt. Sometimes it takes more than one application. It did give me relief. a couple of days later could have been the advil that you took also never know sounds like you're just throwing away money right now seriously no i'm just gonna go here i'm telling you it really did work i went i went to an md for my back and the md said oh yeah looks like we're gonna have to do surgery you know just you're you're done you're done so i went to my witch doctor my uh my chiropractor and bam he's like oh no no just what we do this crack crack crack
And I haven't had any back surgery. I haven't done any of that kind of stuff. You know, I go every so often just to do a little maintenance on it. But, man, I would have been having back surgery. I think it works. I'm weirded out by that. Sure it does, man. Just go get a massage. It cures everything. And when Nalu texted in to 949mikey at gmail.com. Say, hey, dude, let Sergio know to look in the back of tattoo magazines to help him out with how to become a tattoo guy. I'm picking the music today. Gavin DeGraw. Gavin DeGraw. Love of the Girl. It's Gavin DeGraw. And I'm going to tell you that. Gavin DeGit. Really. I'm going to tell you right now that today there is, with my music, there's a bit of a theme going on later. And the theme is occasionally like... Occasionally I like the little kind of, you know, Kixi love songs kind of thing. Oh, this is catchy. Come on. See, Pepper, she does this thing where she, oh, I'm not, I don't like it. Yet she knows every word of it. No, I don't know. I've never heard this song. You, Gavin DeGitt. You've never heard this song. I haven't either. No. I haven't either. Make love and I want to fight. It's fantastic. I know his eyes.
For a second, I thought Gavin walked into it. Oh, wait. What do I got for you? I forgot to tell you what I got. Tiger got his brain. Every professional golfer golfs with a couple of guys, so we know who he's going to golf with. And what time? Start today or when does it start? What's today? Wednesday starts mañana. And with that being said, I've got to remind you that we do have a Facebook fan page that you can find on Facebook.com. Just search The Mikey Show and become a member of our fan page. Very cool. So, I've got to hear it. I don't know anything about golf, really, but I know that I'm going to be watching golf for the first time this weekend because of the Masters. I'm interested because of the Tiger Woods story. And you're a golfer now, too. Yeah. We're going to get to Tiger in a minute, but I'm going to start the day. I'm going to give a little love to the ladies out there. That's what I like to do real good. In a display of complete dominance, the UConn Lady Huskies, they won the Women's National Championship last night in basketball. Cool thing about this story, it was their 78th victory in a row. That's unreal dominance. They are the champs.
The San Diego Padres have won their first game. Chris Young, their starter, was unbelievable last night. He gave up one hit over six innings through shutout baseball. Everett Cabrera had a huge night, knocked in four runs. Gonzo hit another homer in the ninth. That's two homers for him in two games. Good. Don't trade that guy. Yeah, I hope that doesn't happen. Don't trade that guy. You went there last night, right? Yeah, I went to media night last night. Jay and I did. How was it? Awesome. What did you do? We ate really good food, and then I got up to the plate, and I started to hit some balls. I didn't really get anything good to hit. Ask Jay. They were mostly high and outside. Was it a machine? No, it was a dude throwing. Who was the dude, did they say? Some dude. Actually, I heard he plays in my league. Really? Yeah, I heard he plays in my league, and he gave me one good pitch that I smoked to left field, and I felt good about that, but my finger hurts so bad. Because this is something that I would never experience in my life. What was it like? hitting a ball in Petco Park. Was that really cool? I texted Mike and I was like, this is the best thing ever. That's what was happening? I was on the field. I was shagging balls. And I was making some plays. And you're being inappropriate. Of course you are. Your name's Pepper. It was really, really, really fun. I'm excited. Everybody was so nice and ran into some people that were big fans of the show.
It was fun. It was a good time. And can't wait to do it again next year. It's cool. For sure. Donovan McNabb is now a Redskin. He had his press conference yesterday. Here he is talking about his new squad and his goals for the upcoming season. Cut one. I felt that I was treated fairly. Never have you heard me complain about any of what the fans are doing or the media. Because that's really none of my concern. I block that out. You know, you have to understand in this game in which we play. There's so many distractions. And if you allow it to affect what you do and what your team relies on you to do, you're never going to accomplish anything. You know, now, through my 11 years, you can't say that I haven't accomplished a lot. There's one thing that I didn't accomplish, and I look to hopefully accomplish it here in Washington. No way. Now, if that happens, that's outstanding. But how are we looking to try to win another one? I can guarantee you this, Pepper, and I'm sorry. I'll bet it right now. I will, too. I know exactly what you're going to say. Both games. Both games. They win. They win. They beat the Eagles. I mean, not only they beat the Eagles, I bet they embarrass the Eagles because he will be so motivated. And he's still a young guy. Yeah. I still think he's got a lot of talent. I know. I forget that he's still so young because, like you said, he's been there for 11 years. He's had a bum rap. He had a bum rap from day one. They booed him so bad on day one. And they wanted to take Ricky Williams.
And they took McNabb first. Or they took McNabb before Ricky Williams. Ricky Williams turned out to be a little clown. Yeah. And never really played. And McNabb took you to the Super Bowl. And they're still booing the guy. I never thought I would agree with T.O. on something. But Donovan's a bit of a head case. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've heard that. He's a bit of a head case. Who's not? Yeah. And especially at that level. Like, you're going to get people. T.O. really. He's gotten to the Super Bowl. He got there with the Eagles. He didn't seal the deal. It's okay. More than Kevin Cobb's going to do. Trust me. Well, we got Vic. Oh, my God. The dog fighter. You're in on him. By the way, here we are in San Diego where we're going, really? A Super Bowl, huh? Like you went and played in the Super Bowl? What's that like? Yeah. I mean, we did that. The last time we did that was in the early 90s. And who'd you run into? The 49ers. Who else? Like a buzzsaw. And you ran into the Cowboys one year, too, didn't you? Not in the Super Bowl. Did they not? I'm an idiot. All right. Are you sure? Yeah. Yeah. In the Super Bowl? Yeah. Yeah. No. Kobe Bryant went on Kimmel last night with the NBA playoffs for a couple weeks away. Had a pretty funny, some pretty funny audio. They're ready to take all comers. Cut to. The playoffs are less than two weeks away, I guess. Yeah, they're right around the corner. Right around the corner. For you, and I know that you just want to get to the finals and you want to win, right? But ideally...
You get Cleveland in there. Is that ideal for you? You get Shaq. You get LeBron. I don't care. You really don't care? I could be playing as E.T., man. That's great. Is he talking about Sam Cassell? No, no, because I know that. No, he's talking about the real E.T., but Sam Cassell could be E.T.'s twin. They always make that comparison. He's one of the only guys that can actually say that and mean it. Oh, yeah. He didn't care. It's Kobe Bryant. Yeah. Tiger Woods will play tomorrow at Augusta. Everybody, we don't need to cover what's been going on with Tiger Woods, but it'll be interesting to see him back on the golf course. He's going to tee off at 142. He's the second to the last group out. He's playing with KJ Choi and Matt Kuchar, a couple of really good players. Full coverage begins for Eastern on ESPN. By the time the coverage starts, he'll be on about the eighth hole. So they're going to air his first shot. Maybe his first hole or his first shot. And then they're going to cut away. They're going to come back, do the full coverage. He'll probably be around seven or eight at that time. I'm stoked to see. I mean, the Masters is pressure enough without all the pressure that he has from the outside right now. And then.
The Yankees won 6-4 over the Red Sox last night. Are you kidding me with you? Did I say sucks? Are you kidding me with you? I meant sucks. Wait, what happened on Sunday night? You never reported on that. I said sucks. The Red Sox? You didn't report on that. Anyway, the Yankees won last night 6-4. Yeah, what happened on their Sunday night game? I don't know. They're both 1-1. It's unbelievable. Yet they've only played each other for two games. They're both 1-1. You figure it out. I have an interesting call on the line here. This is M1 Billy. Are you there, Billy? Yeah. How you doing? Good. What were you calling to say? Well, first of all, I'm a first-time caller, but I've listened to your show since I was like a freshman in high school, and now I'm like a junior in college. Right on, dude. Nice. Right on. Very cool. I go to this bagel place up in San Marcos, usually. Hey, by the way, don't say the name of the place. Yeah, I won't. I don't want you to say the name of the place, but you go to a bagel place in San Marcos. Yeah, and for the first time today, like, Usually I always see like A ratings on food places. And today me and my girlfriend walk in and we notice it has a B rating. I've never, ever, ever seen a rating on an establishment that is not an A rating. Never seen that. And in the words of Woods, it really skeeved me out. That's so weird, dude. Did you go in there? Yeah, no, we went in there and we actually ordered food, but now I'm like freaked out to eat it. Did you ask about it?
No, because, well, that's the thing, too. Like, the people in there are always, like, kind of, like, sleepy-eyed and not very friendly anymore. So you didn't ask about it, but you did order something, and you haven't eaten it yet. No, it's sitting in my car. You know what I would really like to know is to have people call us at 570-1949 that know what it takes to get a B rating. I know what it takes. Well, one thing I wanted to mention to you, and I should have put it in my recap, Mike. I got turkey meatloaf from Whole Foods because I'm fat now and I can't eat regular meatloaf. Stop it already. There was a giant, giant, giant, long black hair in my meatloaf. And I just bought it. And so I pulled it out and I pulled it in the spars. I threw it in the garbage and I heated it up and I ate it anyway. That's what I would have done. No doubt about it. It was like $9 too. I was like. You can't throw this away. If it was that bad, it would be closed. Yeah. You guys are being weird. Yeah, it goes up to a C rating. I thought it was an urban legend. I've eaten at B places. Have you? Have you? That's surprising. There's like little Mexican hole-in-the-wall spots that you go to, you know? You ate with Mikey at a couple places? Yeah, we did. Stop it. Oh, you know, just because, just because doesn't mean that you... Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. She says you ate with a little Mexican. That's right. That's right. Well, let me tell you something. I ate at a little Mexican spot. You know.
That there is, if there's a little Mexican establishment, they may not know the necessary proper protocol in each situation of what you're supposed to have. Do you guys ever eat at like those taco stands on the side of the road? Would you ever? Of course. Those exist here? No problem. No problem with that. Yeah, I see them all the time here. Here? Yes. I've never seen them here. Mexico. You guys don't get out of the hood much, do you? You're talking about like a little cart on the side of the road? Not really a cart per se, but it's like a little tiny, like tiny little place. That's all they do. Oh, yeah, for sure. I would do that for sure. M1 Courtney is on the line and works at a place with a B rating. You don't have to say what it is, Courtney. Worked in high school. Oh, you worked at a place with a B rating. Do you know what got them to be? Yeah, the manager didn't have their food handler's cart. And none of us had gone through the class, so the manager didn't have the food handler's card. And somebody called in an ex-employee or something, and they gave us a B rating. Wow. So that's what happened. And it was kind of sketchy. Like, you know, people would come up to the window. It was like a little pretzel stand. Would come up to the window and walk right away. No way. It was not the cleanest place, I'll tell you that much. We had mice and stuff. Perfect. Do you know how long the rating stays?
I don't remember. I think I stopped working there shortly thereafter. Hey, Courtney. I think it's as soon as they get it. If they get that card, then it goes right back to an A. Yeah, I don't know. Hey, Courtney. So can they call them back and say, come back? Well, yeah, I'm sure they just say, you have this many days to get your card, or else we're going to lower you. That's really easy to do, the food handlers thing. Yeah, it's a really easy class, but our manager didn't have it, so as soon as they found out she didn't have it. They expired. Yeah. How are you doing? I'm not really that clear. How am I doing? Yeah. I'm doing great. Woods, what are you doing? On my way to work. Stop it. Woods, he creeps me out so much. Whenever there's a girl on the phone and she's got any kind of a cute voice, he does this thing where he says, how are you doing? And then he proceeds to smile with that smile over there. It creeps me out. It makes me uncomfortable. Thank you, Courtney. All right, have a good day. Yeah, thank you. Man, when Papa Driz is on the line, what's up? Hey, I've seen two restaurants. One of them deserved it. One of them didn't because by law, they have to provide the ratings. And one was downtown and it was an ice cream parlor type deal. And where they melt ice cream off the scoops, it was off by like a degree or something. Like something really stupid. But then the other one was up in Big Bear and we actually left that place because it was like dirty silverware and like just nasty stuff. That's filthy. That is so filthy. My go-to spot in high school. Oh, it was the best little Mexican spot right in La Jolla.
We went there all the time. They closed because their ratings turned so bad. Perfect. They closed it down. They went below a B? Yeah, they went below a C. They had to close. Oh, my God. It was awful. Dang it. Yeah, what would you do? You walk up to a place that's got an F. You walk. I don't think it goes to an F. It's only A, B, C. You walk if it's a C, and you probably walk if it's a B. Are you kidding? Imagine what we would have got at our house when we had our first apartment. Oh, dude. What do I have in my apartment now? We would have been closed. We would have been shut down. I have a C rating right now. You got a Z rating. Let's be honest. You got a Z, all right? We haven't even been to your house. I need to go before you move. I'm all set. You guys can come to the new crib. Thanks, Pep. I'll wait for the new crib. My favorite sushi place was a B rating in Big Bear. Are you kidding? I was going to ask Papa Driz if that was the place he went to. The food was insane. It was good, yeah. You just don't care. It was amazing. It was the only sushi. And you wouldn't think sushi in Big Bear, but oh my gosh. Well, most places in Chinatown in big cities.
I'm sure those places would be off the charts, but they're so good, and you just don't want to know. You would never eat in Chinatown, ever. Why? Come on. Disgusting. We're getting Chinatown downtown. Great. I'll pass. I actually looked up their rating online just to see what it was. Yeah. And it's a surprise inspection, and they exhibit some unacceptable things, which could be anything from their refrigerators not being up to temperature. to just some close to sanitary things like their hand washing sinks weren't set up correctly. We had people come in all the time and do those. I think that they should adopt the plus and minus as well. So it could be like an A minus or a B plus. That's just freaking people out even more. It does. It freaks me out. I've never seen a place lower than an A. And it would sketch me. For sure. I would be so freaked out by that. I would do the backwards block away from the door. Well, we always go to lunch on Wednesdays. And what if we picked a place and it had a B? We probably wouldn't eat there. Jay and I would. You know L-O-B would eat there. I wouldn't. I'm not eating there. I wouldn't. Oh, you just said you wouldn't eat in Chinatown. Never would I eat in Chinatown. Why not? What are you afraid of? That's ridiculous. Ducks? Among other things. Oh, please. You're being ridiculous. That's an urban legend. That's an urban legend. You goofball. That happens in Korea. Goofball. He's meowing. He's a goofball.
He is a goofball. I can't wait for Jamie to get here. His wife needs to tame him up. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. I want to wait until Jamie gets here to go to his place because I have a feeling it's not pretty. It's disgusting. Woodsy's wife is in Dallas. She's flying out tomorrow. Kid walks around blasting cigs in his robe all day. It's repulsive. Calls himself out. Yeah. There's cups with cigarette butts in them. It's awful. I'm lost without her. I want you to take pictures. I'm lost without her. I need her here. You know what I'm glad about? She comes out here. She tames him. Yeah, she does. She comes out here and she humanizes him. She was here for two days. He ditched the cargo shorts, polished up, looking real sharp. Like some polo shirts. I got a PHC yesterday because I knew she was coming in. What's that? Perfect haircut. Oh, I wish that Matt went with you. He got it all high and tight. Oh, it's a pH shirt. Let me see it. Let me see it. Oh, it's high and tight. It's not going to look good now. It's in a hat. Come on, please. It looks really short. There he goes. Oh, Woods. See, that's what Matt's look like. Why do they, like, it takes a couple days for the guy's haircuts to get normal. Did you get a haircut or did you do that yourself? Did you take a buzzer? No, it's not that short. It's the hat. If I put some product in, just wait until Friday, pal. Can I pull the curtain back?
Sure. Do what you got to do. Why do you look so nervous? I'm not. I really want to know where this is going. I'm not nervous. I'm not. She has him go on walks. What? Wait? She doesn't go on walks? Is that too much? Should I not? No, it's fine. She's already... What did you say, Mikey? Talk about it. She makes me go on these long walks. Oh, that's horrible. Probably now, it'll be the beach bit. So now we're going to have to get in the car, drive down to the beach, and then walk. That's great. I hate it. Sounds like my weekend. I hate it. Don't force me to walk. You want to go to the zoo, I'll walk around with you. We'll go to Six Flags and walk around. But don't say, let's go for a walk. Guys don't get that. I try to get Todd to do that all the time. And he looks at me like, no, and I'm like, fine. The things we do for love.
My bit is I blast cigs the whole time, so now she gets embarrassed to go. Because we're walking in tennis shoes and workout clothes, and I'm like... Yeah. She gets so embarrassed. I can see you just being way too anxious, way too impatient for that. I'll walk to the end of the block and be like, we done. We're going to watch TV now. See, Matt goes with me, but the whole time he's like, yeah, so we're the couple who walks. Yeah, we're the walkers. I want to hear from people that do stuff. What do you do for your spouse that you do it? You don't like it, but you do it. Every woman out there has a million things to call about. Rebecca was actually commenting on you the other day, Sienna, because she said that you and her are very similar, that you both do a lot for your man. Put Jamie in that category. Jay was asking me last night, and I do nothing. She does everything. So does Rebecca. Everything. But it's like, I don't...
necessarily want him to do a lot of the things that I do because I'd be nervous. Like the grocery shopping, he would come back with garbage. Yep. Rebecca, I'll tell you the thing that she does that I love the most because I don't want to do it. And she doesn't either. But she does it because she loves me is set that coffee machine up. What a beating. You're waving your head yes, Pepper. Matt doesn't even drink coffee, and he sets mine up for me. That's very sweet. Guy's an angel. I know. He is an angel. He is. He's like, I've never heard of a guy that does stuff like that. Guy's a saint. His newest bit. I think he's like the next Pope. What's his new bit? His newest bit is I'm like. Obviously, as you guys saw in the office, I'm a little OCD, weird about things. We've got to talk about that later. Slightly. So I have a certain way that I make the bed, and there's, let's see, eight, nine pillows on the bed, and it gets done a certain way. And now that I leave the house before Matt does, I'm like, well, I started coming home to either A, an unmade bed, or B, it wasn't made the right way. So I used to come home and be like,
throw everything off the bed and remake it. He'd be like, I already made it. I'm like, you didn't do it right. Question. Yes. Do you have a way that you make the bed that has to do with the placement of the sheets and the mat? Yep. Please describe. Well, first of all, there's nine pillows. So they have to be stacked a certain way. The ones that you actually lay on are flat. And then the ones that are for decoration are propped. And they're propped in a certain way. And then there's a barrier pillow that, you know, we separate the two of us so that his elbows don't nudge me in the middle of the night. That goes in a certain place. Barrier pillow. Right. And there's a little satin trim on the end of my sheets that needs to be showing and folded back for decorative purposes. And there's, you know, there has to be a certain length so that the bottom of the back, the box spring doesn't show. And, you know. I'm exhausted. Certain things like that. But now I showed him the technique. He's like better than I am at it. Really? Crazy. I am crazy. Now, Matt, this is how you tuck the sheet. This is the proper way. The way you tuck, not sufficient enough. No, I don't like the tuck. I like it loosey-goosey. It has to be tucked tight. Y'all are crazy. Is this what I think it is? Oh, yeah.
I'm picking the music today. I told you. We're going to get it light. We're going to go light. A little light and easy. There will be some light and easy favorites. Talk it up. Talk it in. Talk it in, Mike. Let me start it over. Start it over. I'll give you a little Michael Shannon. Yeah. Action on this one. That's my favorite. K-Wave 97 FM. Just want to remind everyone that the Food and Wine Festival is going on this weekend in downtown Monterey. Hopefully everybody gets a chance to come down and check out some of the treats that we're going to have down there tonight. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. I didn't lock out with the call letters, though. That was amazing. I didn't lock out with the call letters. I got to lock out with the call letters. You got to, dude. Let me give you that. How about a time check? Yeah, that's right. Time check, right? Wait, how long is the post? Time and weather. Time and weather. Maybe like 12 seconds. Yeah, somewhere between 12, 17. Somewhere in there. Get time, weather, and the Jazz and Wine Fest. You got it.
Jazz and Wine Festival coming to Monterey this weekend. Just want to remind everybody about that. It is 6.57, three minutes before 7 o'clock. And I want to give a little request for Melissa. This is Boz Skaggs on K-Wave 97 FM. That was like watching. That was like watching Derek Jeter at the play. That was like unbelievable. Yeah, so like watching Da Vinci paint. Yeah, seriously. Nervous. My heart was racing. My heart was racing too. Ridiculous. Really? Yes. I was like, he's not going to make it. Will you do that on every love song today, please? Absolutely, yeah. I'll give you a little Michael Shannon on each and every one of those songs. In fact, I'm going to play. I love it. I'm going to play one of the greatest slow songs coming up next. In fact, as I was playing it this morning, I thought to myself. Before that guitar part was written, it didn't exist. This guy made this up instantly recognizable to every human being on planet Earth. There are people walking in the Amazon right now that if you play this song, they go, oh, that's... So we'll do it next. This is The Mikey Show, FM 94.9.

Did you just put that check directly into the ATM? Yep. No deposit slips, no envelopes? No need. Whoa, you just stuck a bunch of 20s in there. What is wrong with you? Me? I'm not the one feeding the ATM like a hungry Sasquatch. Sasquatch? Really? I don't know. It's Chase Deposit-Friendly ATMs. Deposit checks and bills. And it shows you a picture of the checks on the screen and on your receipt. Wow, ATM machines that practically read your mind. My bank doesn't have that. Chase does. Do you suffer from ED or simply want to last longer, but pills or other medications just don't work? Try the Boston Method.
For over 10 years, the Boston Method has helped thousands of men regain their intimacy, last longer, and perform better, all from just one office visit. I used to avoid my wife because of my ED. Love me some dust in the wind. Kid can shred this. Yeah. Yeah. But it doesn't sound the same. No. Mikey's show's got five people on it. Myself, Woodsy, Pepper, Sienna, Jay. What we're asking you is things that you do for your spouse that you don't like to do, but you do it because you love them. What do I do? My wife would have to tell you because I can't remember. I know I do something. I'm telling you, Woodsy, I know I do something.
Do you? All right, maybe I don't. No, I think I do something. I don't know. I do something that I don't like doing. Like anything she asks you to do and you're just like. I hate asking. Jay, call Rebecca. You went on a walk. Now I need to know. You went on a walk a couple weeks ago. Yeah. And you loved it. No. They always like it. I never like it. It's the getting them there is the hard part. Call us and tell us what you did or what you do. 570-194-9. M1 Jason's on the line. Jason, are you there? Hey, how are you guys? Good. Well, you know, like you said, everybody does stuff. You go on the walks and you do that stuff. And, you know, my wife does way more for me. I mean, I drag her all over. We go to boat races and all the stuff. And she has absolutely zero interest, but she does it with a smile. So, you know, every once in a while, though, it bites her back because she's been wanting to go.
To a play, and I'm not a play guy at all. I found these tickets. We went to Pechanga. You know, it had been a long week. It was on a Friday night. She'd been up with kids all week and had a long week. So we go to this play Friday night. I don't even remember what it was. Yeah, but that's what I wanted to know, what it was. I couldn't even tell you. It was like Amadeus or something. Something I had zero interest in. But I went, and I was sitting there, and, you know, it started at 8.30, and I look over about 9 o'clock. And she's down to sleep. And I'm sitting in a plane going, what am I doing here? So when intermission got up, everyone got up. And so I woke her up. I was like, hey, that was a great plane. She was so embarrassed that she had been sleeping. She didn't even notice it was intermission. We left. Oh, that's fantastic. You're a brilliant man. I mean, that's okay, though. I mean, you should have told her, like, look, you're asleep. Let's get out of here. No way. That's a good move. You know, she was wondering, well, wait a minute. How come it's only like nine? It's called the one act. It's called the one act play. Rebecca did that. My wife fell asleep during Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway. Sacrilege. Liev Schreiber is in it. Alan Alda is in it.
In fact, my wife is on the phone. Hi, honey. Hello, my darling. Hi. I felt sweet because that was boring. Oh, really? Oh, really? How dare you? It was fantastic. Rebecca, ABC, always be closing. Always be closing. A, always B, B, C, closing. Sweetheart, is there anything that I do for you that I don't like? Anything that I ask you to do. Yeah. Yeah. I understand that. You have to put up with a pout, and then you're like, you have to give them the reasons why they should do it. Is there anything? I was thinking about it, and I'm like, oh, man, I hope there's... Yeah, what's he shaking his head? No way, pal. I don't either. I have a bunch. There's not... You can't think of anything? There's things that you do for me regularly, but I don't... I don't think that you mind. Like what? Yeah, like what? Well, this is semi-regularly. Sometimes on the weekends, you'll bring coffee up for me. I'm a monster. That's the best she can think of. That's the best she can do. I want to hear what she does for you. There isn't enough time on the show to tell you the stuff that she does. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Why are women like that? I know.
Honey, why are you married to me? Yeah, Jamie, same thing. I do. She does a lot. She takes care of those kids. This was me yesterday. I had Ryan. I'm holding on to Ryan. I'm sitting on the bed. I'm holding on to Ryan. And I go like this. Babe, Ryan's got a stinker. And she goes, does he? She goes, are you sure? And I go, I think so. She walks over. She goes, let me see. Yep, he does. And she switches me Luke for Ryan. I take Luke. She takes Ryan. She does. Michael Shannon. Stop it. You're a saint. Right, babe? She is. That's right. She's a good wife. You helped me with the kids for a little bit. I wouldn't do that. Yeah, this was like, this was a scheduled help me with the kids. Like she scheduled it. Wow. Because my mom's sick and she normally helps me out on Tuesdays. What are you applauding yourself for, Mike? I don't know, Mike, because you've got to do something. I take care of my kids. I take care of my kids. That's what you're supposed to do. That's so great. Oh, gosh. After, like, 15 minutes, like, I could tell, he was like, I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. I powered down. I powered down. He was still doing it, but, like, he was completely checked out. And he's like, I'm done.
And I thought, I wonder what would happen if I left him alone with them for a day. Terrifying. Has it never happened? Oh, dude, I hear guys be like, yeah, you know, so I had the kids all day, blah, blah, blah. And I look at them like they're a superhero. Like they have a special appendage that I don't have, like an extra arm. I'm like, oh, wow, how do you do that? What a trip. I don't say it out loud. I just look at them like, I shake my head like, oh, yeah, do that regularly. You're my idol. I'm like. There's no, I mean, take the kids for all day? Like, that's crazy. What if Rebecca had to leave town for a weekend? What would you do? Seriously, you just struck fear in my heart. Nanny would be there. Grandma would be there. Oh, yeah. Poison control. Yeah, poison control. The whole deal. Like the army. Like, because Jamie and I want to have kids. And I know there's going to be a weekend when she's like, hey, I'm flying to Austin to go see my family. Are you? Really? Are you? I would be stoked. When they're little. Really? Yeah. Twins is hard. Oh, man. Twins is hard. Yeah, for sure. But when they get a little bit older. My goodness. Twins and.
And the three-year-old, it's hard for me. I appreciate help every day. Make that right, Mike. Yeah, change a poopy diaper every now and again. Come on. Oh, for sure. You guys shame him. Shame him. Michael. Shame him. Tiana, shame him. I know. I'm going to off the air. He's not going to hear the end of it. Listen to that angel in the background. Little angel, right? Little angel. He doesn't like to be sitting in his own poopy-doopy. I know. Hey, poopy-doopy. Hey, baby doesn't want to sit in his own poopy-doopy. No, we're talking to you, buddy. Oh, you're talking to me, honey. Yeah, we're talking to you. Oh. I love you, honey. I love you, too, man. Love you, too, babe. Bye, Rebecca. Weird. I thought of a good one that I do. What? One of the many. What do you do? Todd likes, we have spaghetti a lot. He loves Italian food. Oh. Yeah. And he loves this spaghetti sauce that's like. Oh, it's awful. It's like the ragu. Ragu. Ragu with meat flavored. Oh, yeah. Delicious. Meat flavored. It's like, it's like SpaghettiOs. Like it came from a can. It's so good. And that is the only one I buy. And I have it like twice a week. What would you get if you didn't have to do the. Something delicious and fresh. Right. Pesto every now and again. Oh, yeah. He doesn't like that. So I don't get it. Like there's so many good foods I don't eat because of him. Rebecca does that for me.
What she wants to do, and she'll try it every once in a while, I go, I'll look in the pan and I'll see this pink, like light pink, hamburger meat. And I go, that's not a cow, hon. She goes, I know, it's a bird. Disgusting. No, I'm not. No, babe. No, no. I don't want turkey spaghetti. I don't want turkey spaghetti. I've done that to him, though. I finally was like, look, I'm pregnant. We're going to make a couple of changes here. She goes, do you tell him? You can't even tell. Yeah, you can. One's a bird and one's a moo. Jamie swears that she has thrown fastballs by me with turkey spaghetti and turkey meat. And I'm like, no, you have not. Guaranteed. He fought the ground turkey thing, but now he likes it. You guys, I defy either of you ladies to make me a turkey spaghetti and a beef spaghetti and have me.
Like, not new. Well, when you do apples to apples. Okay. Well, apples to oranges. Apples to oranges. Yeah. I'm telling you. But when it's the Pepsi challenge, you can tell that it's beef. But if you weren't expecting it, Mikey would know. I would know, too. I would think you could get it past Woods. No way. Jay, for sure. I know a move. I know a move from a bird. Mikey's picky when it comes to his food. Yeah, I mean. If you're going to eat it, you know, just if you're going to have spaghetti, have spaghetti. You know what Jamie and I call it? Because we do the same, but we use prego instead of ragu. Yeah, we use prego. We call it ghetto spaghetti. That's what we call it. I want the good stuff, you know? I want the garlic flavor in there. Newman's Zone. Newman's Zone is good. Yeah. I just do two separate sauces. Because it's too much work and I'm the one that makes it every night. Yeah. She would say the same thing. Rebecca would say the same thing. I'd rather not hear him complain and just eat it, you know? Yeah. Yeah, but guys, when it comes to food, we want what we want. They do. I know. I eat four things, and that's it. So does he. Spaghetti, steak, chicken, pork chops. Wow. Oh, pork chops. It tastes good. See, I'm lucky. Matt will eat anything you put in front of him. You're so lucky. Literally. Do you cook? Yeah. You do? I cook, and he cooks, too. Pretty regularly?
Not as much because I've been tired lately. Who cooked last night? The pizza place that we bought the pizza from. Yum. How about the night before that? Angelo. The night before that. Mr. Appleby. Yeah. Yeah, John Appleby. John Appleby. Cooked. And then the night before that, it was Ruben Chili's. No, I can't remember. It was a guy named Rubio. Yeah, it was a guy named Rubio. Mike on the border. Did he cook? He did? What did he make? Yes. What did he make? On Monday night. He made spaghetti, I think. Can you imagine cooking for her? Can you imagine? No way. Can you imagine him in the kitchen going, oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God, oh God. He's like, I gotta... She's gonna hate this. She's gonna hate this. He's like, first of all, I have to mill some corn. Homemade wheat pasta. I'd be like... Forget it. It's brown rice pasta that we've moved on to. It's better than wheat pasta.
I made homemade chicken soup last night, and I was on the computer doing some work, and I yelled to him, Todd, can you stir the soup really quick? And he's like, I'm busy. No, dude. He did it. That's his bit. I'm busy. I'm busy. Not in my house. I was just like, man, he did it, but man. I taught him how to cook. He wanted to know how to cook. Really? He didn't know how to boil water when we first started living together. Shut up. He didn't? Uh-uh. He really didn't. Or make grilled cheese. Or eggs. Are you kidding? None of that. How did he get through college? Was he raised by wolves? Yeah. I love to cook. I think he did a whole lot of peanut butter and jelly. Really? So good. I ate brown rice last night. It's the worst, dude. I wish I could have seen your face. It's the worst. Yeah. My face looked like I was sucking on a lemon. It's the worst. No, it's not. Just need to season it right. Really? You know what I seasoned it with? Soy sauce. Because I wanted to try to drown out the taste of the brown rice. Yeah. I seasoned it with chocolate. It still tastes bad. Dude, I was the worst last night. When I tell you this, Pepper, especially Pepper, she's going to be like, are you kidding me? So here's me trying to eat healthy last night. I mix brown rice. Okay, so Rebecca had a meal prepared for me. Brown rice with a nice chicken breast on top of it. And I'm like, yeah, you know what that'll go really good with?
that orange chicken and the batter and the orange chicken sauce. So I warm that up and I throw that in with the healthy chicken breast and the, what do you call it? And I wash that down with some water and Doritos. Unbelievable. I got off my diet. I had a soda last night, by the way. I broke our pact. I had a small Sprite. How good was that? So good. You guys are trying to do this extreme thing where it's like, nope, no more soda. When you guys drink soda every day, just do it and treat yourself every once in a while or else you're going to go crazy. I treated myself to a creme brulee at the ballpark as well. How good were those? You had a creme brulee? They had a freaking torch out. Shrimp burritos. Shrimp tacos. Little mini calzones. It was unbelievable. Woods is trying to lose weight. And so yesterday we're back in the office and finally Jay goes, how many of those little candies are you going to eat? I was stressed. There was a little bucket, a little Easter basket that M1 Veronica made for us. And I've just been killing these candies. And so has Woodsy. No, I left mine here so that I wouldn't slay them. I had four little Milky Ways. You went through a basket.
You are out of your mind. How many did he open, Jason? Four. Don't talk about it. Woods is going to become insecure. Four. I had four little Milky Ways. He was knocking them out. And a Reese's egg. They're like bite-sized. And a Reese's egg. It's not even the full size of one candy bar. And maybe a Kit Kat. Woods, you're surfing now. It's okay every once in a while. You're playing ball. M1, Lindsay is on the line. Hi, Lindsay. Hi, good morning. How are you? Good. What did your husband do for you? Two years ago, I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Celiac disease is I'm allergic to wheat, rye, barley, and oats. No beer, no bread, no nothing. And two years ago, when I found out I had to go gluten-free, my husband went gluten-free with me. Wow. That's so cool. So does that mean you had to get rid of bread? Yeah, no bread. Oh, wow. What a trooper he is. That's what's in bread. That's what's in a lot of stuff like that. It's in almost everything. Cereal, you name it. So what do you eat? Just dirt? Yeah, what is left? I eat oatmeal every morning. That's good. And I eat other gluten-free things. Eggs, bacon. Those are gluten-free. You can have rice, potatoes. But he went gluten-free with me. And so every once in a while, when I'm at the store shopping, I'll bring home a nice loaf of bread and say, look.
That's a good man. That is a great good man, dude. It's a good woman, too. Did you hear that? She brings home a loaf for him. She says, feast on this. That's right. Feast on this. Try the oatmeal at Jamba Juice. You can thank me later. You'd love that oatmeal. That's shocking, by the way. Whose phone is this? Look at the picture above the bed. What is the picture above the bed? It's like a Buddha. It is. Her boyfriend, Matt, just sent a picture of their room. which looks like it's out of a magazine for a resort in Bali. It looks like it's at the W. It's a perfectly, like, first of all, the room is completely feng shui. White. It's white. Just a humongous Buddha above the bed. Yeah. Do they do lab testing in this room, too? Seriously. It looks like clockwork orange in there. My younger brother. said that he goes... I need to see it again. He came over and he goes... It's great. You guys don't have a lot on the walls. It kind of looks like this room is where people go to die. Let me describe it. I got to describe it. There's little candles. So there's a queen size bed, right? Yep. With perfectly... Like the sheets are...
white and they're perfectly pressed around. No, no, no. The sheets are like a sky blue on top of a white comforter. I apologize. That's right. They're like a sky blue with the comforter that's white and perfectly pressed around the corners, each corner. And then the pillows are perfectly positioned and perfectly placed on each side of the bed is matching sort of bamboo looking. They're not even bedside tables. They're not. They're like shelves. They function as bedside tables, but there's some sort of shelvery. They're not big enough for my crackdown. They're made of wicker. I hate those things, and Matt wants to keep them because they're too lightweight. They get pushed around all the time. And then directly in the center of the bed is a picture of Buddha. It's like a... That's what they wake up to every morning. Yeah. And then there is, and then there is these. We got to post it. We have to post it. We have to. I asked Matt to send this to me because he says in his text message.
I was making the bed during that last bit and I started cracking up. For an hour and a half, I was making the bed. Is she going to get mad? There's a wrinkle here. So I told him to send it to me and he did a nice job. It's the perception I had of Lauren. And this is nothing. I mean, the perception I had of Lauren was not that. Really? Yeah. I thought it would be her and Matt like on a little mattress on the floor, like a potato sack, bamboo. Yeah. Like on bricks. Uh-uh. You know, like just very earthy, like a futon, maybe. We should all take a picture just like that. That is a girly girl's bed. We should all take a picture just like that of our beds and kind of see the bedroom. I love that. And have people guess which room is whose. Oh, done! Yes! Done! Yeah. So I'll go home and we'll do it. Babe, I know my... Except you'll know... Everyone knows mine already left. I know my wife is listening. Your husband already left? Yeah. Sienna? I can do it when I get home. All right. Yeah, we'll do it tomorrow. Honey. Take a picture. Yeah, we'll take a picture. That's great. Genius. Put the adult swing away. Creepy, creepy. Put that lotion back in the medicine cabinet. Well, here's the thing. I'm thinking that when Matt makes that bed, he's got to get the measuring tape and ruler out. The protractor. The protractor and iron. He's better than I am. He showed me his technique.
karate chops it and then folds it over. Do you come home and go, I don't mean to make a big deal out of this. I'm just going to say about an inch and a half off on the right side of the bed. Honestly, I used to come home and see it all the wrong way and I used to go and have to make it. Now I come home and I'm like... Smile. Ear to ear. It makes my day. Todd is the best bed maker. I will give him that. Like, you do it, please. I've never done it. Me either. If I make it, I'm going to get back in it. How do you like my light music? I love it, dude. It's fun. Oh, yeah. Name that movie. Footloose. Bam! Woods, Footloose. You are the only one that quizzed yourself. He loves Footloose. And he's like jumping up and down that he got it. Woods mentions the movie Footloose. You guys notice? He'll mention the movie Footloose once a week. He will make a reference to the movie Footloose once a week. If we don't learn to trust our kids, when will they ever become trustworthy? You can do it all day. If you don't like this song, I don't want to know. You're an idiot. It's so good. Pepper.
Please tell me. Oh, I love this. I've been waiting. I've been waiting. Let's see. Okay, okay, okay. I've got to stop this for a second because I need to really drive this point home. I have maybe one of my favorite pieces of audio since being in radio. Wow. Coming up next. Don't oversell us. Yeah, don't sell me, dude. I know, wow. Because I don't like it when Woodsy oversells stuff. And I'll say, dude, you're overselling it. Just me. I'll say, well. I don't like it when anybody oversells because then I'm like, my expectation is too high. It's okay for your expectation to be high for this. Really? Yeah, because when we come back, I'm going to play audio of a Chinese boy singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. I love it. I can't wait. I can't wait. You're right. I already know it. Of course you can't wait. Is it going to be bad? Is it going to be good? Who knows? Just wait.

Cesar, hey, Cesar Gonzalez, I went by Mama Testa's, and the corn tortillas, they're the way to go. Tell me about the Yucatecos. We take pork, we marinate it for 24 hours in anato paste and orange juice. Then we wrap it up in roasted banana leaves, and we steam it for six more hours. Tender pork, sweet, sour, and spicy all at the same time. That sounds yummy, Chico. Tell me about the Mojaros de Carne. Mojaros de Carne, dude? Their roll tacos are of Guerrero style. They're serving the spicy beef broth. If you have one too many bruskies, they're the cure for the hangover, bro. Okay, now, Flavio, tell me how you beat that Bobby Flay guy from the Food Network. Bobby Flay, he challenged me to a fish taco throwdown. But did you win? Get on that way. I'm Cesar Gonzalez from Mamatesta. Of course I won. If he challenged me to a cabbage and potato soup, he would have had a chance. Hey, jefe, you're here legally. Listen, Sancho. On Mamatesta, we do everything you can do to the taco. This is an important announcement to the American public who owe more than $10,000 or more in credit card debt. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. What's happening? This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf 440 Wednesday morning, being brought to you, of course, by Guayaki Urubate. Rainforest-grown, certified organic, and life-fulfilling. So try some out and share it with friends. Surf-wise today, kind of a combination of some old windswell out of the west-northwest, a touch of southwest out there, too. A little bit cleaner yesterday in terms of surface conditions, but still kind of broken up and discombobulated. Beach breaks being your better bet, really, as there are some scattered little corners. Not a lot of power to them, some weak little takeoffs, and a little bit steeper on the inside faces. But at least the winds are offshore, so again, overall conditions are looking cleaner. Nice sunny day at the moment right now, a couple scattered clouds. Reef breaks at the lower ties, they could have a couple corners as well. Once again, just kind of one of those in-between swell kind of days, rideable if you have nothing else to do. But for me, I'm going to make a buck or two.
For up-to-minute surf reports, forecasts, go to surfline.com, and for everything you need in order to go surf, check out one of South Coast Surf Shops, five locations, or go online at southcoast.com. This surf report is brought to you by Guayaki Yerba Mate, and of course it can only be heard three times daily, right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I like a skinny fry. I don't like thick. I don't like thick fries. Woods. I don't know what it is. My point is on that, but I just felt like saying it. Okay? Lauren. I washed my hands like a thousand times. I do too. I love salami. And Jay. I was the guy most voted most likely to snap on FM 94.9. You know what that is, Wiz? Whenever I call you. Really? I begin to think I love you. Well, I know this. You're the only person that I, I mean, there's no way in the world I thought I stumped you. You guys being perfect? Yeah, it's a perfect world.
This is Kenny Loggins and Stevie Nicks. I love both of them. You know that. Whenever I call you Fred. Is this yours and Sean's song? Yes. We dance and we sing it. Yeah. Well, I wonder what that guy's up to. Me too. Miss Sean? Me too. Woodsie gets jealous of my friend Sean. I love the guy. Could be that picture on your desk. You know, me and you have a nice picture where we were coming out of the surf and... We had our boards, and we're walking up, we're talking, we're having a moment. Maybe you should give it to me in a frame like my friend Sean did. Nowhere to be found. You guys look so distant in that picture. There's just not the connection that you had with Sean. It's probably true. It's so weird. You and Sean, it was so obvious. It was like brothers. You're saying that the picture of Woodsy and I, we just look. You guys aren't connected the way that you and Sean were. There's a distance. I never even met Sean, which is weird. That is weird that you know so much about it. I know.
Yet you can tell just from... Exudes. From the pictures. It exudes. From all the stories you tell. There's love and there's a... I always thought you guys were related. Yeah. It's crazy. It's like you're one. He's a Mexican too? No, he isn't. That's what made it weird. You'll always get Lauren. I mean Latino. Sorry. You'll always get Lauren if you make a Mikey. Yep. That's all you gotta do. I know. Mikey's short. She's like... Welcome back. You know what I need to do. I'm going to play this audio here in a second, which is some of my favorite audio ever. Before I do that, I want to tell you about the couple of British women that got arrested for trying to smuggle a dead body on a plane. Yep. Right? Uh-huh. Which is a movie with Samuel L. Jackson, strangely enough. Dead guy on a plane. Nope. Right? It's called Dead Guy on a Plane. Snakes on a Plane. My goodness. That doesn't even rhyme. I don't know how I thought that. What's the deal, Sienna?
Well, these two British women, they arrived at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport and they had a dead body with them. It was a relative of theirs and put the guy in a wheelchair, put some sunglasses on him and decided that they were going to just wheel him on board a flight to Berlin. They were going to try to get him home, you know, do the funeral because it costs money to get a dead body on a plane. You have to, you know, get them. and do all this stuff and has to go into the plane and it's a big ordeal. So this is why they didn't want to do all of that. What do you tip the sky cap on that? I know. Here's a five, pal. Make sure you get to the right place. Exactly. So the women were obviously caught since it was a dead man that they were pushing. Yeah, you can't do that. You can't exactly get away with that, yeah. Not away with anything in the airlines anymore. I wonder what that 911 call would have sounded like. Emergency services? Yes, hello. Good morning. Yes, I'm calling because I'm at Heathrow Airport. Right. And my dear friend who's dead has been confiscated from me and my good friend Helen. Right. And it's dreadful. Right. Hello? Hello. Emergency services? Yes, you said that already. I wonder if you could help me. You said Helen?
Yes, that's my friend. Are you paying attention? Not really. I'm calling because they've detained my dead friend. Right. Mine and Helen's friend. Right. And he was a particularly odd man. Right. Are you there? Yep. He was detained from us for being dead, and neither of us can understand it. I'm going to pass the phone to my dear friend. You can call her Helen. Right. Weird. Yes, good morning. Emergency services. Oh, hello. Good morning. She told you no. Right. Tell him. Tell him what? That they've taken Frederick. Oh, yes, they've taken our friend. It's such a bugger. It's so ridiculous. Sounds dreadful. Maybe you've seen this. There's an American movie. It's called Weekend at Bernie's, which makes it legal. Delightful movie. Delightful. Delightful movie. Well, our friend, this man, he's called Frederick. He was wearing a Walkman, so we thought, why not just bring him on the plane once we turn the music on? He'll be up and about doing his thing. Oh, jolly-oh. Right. And all of a sudden, this bloody official said, oh, sorry, he's dead. Let me take him. Right. What would you like me to do? I'd like my friend back, sir. It's awful. What can I do about it? It's awful, darling. It's awful. It's so awful. Well, we'd like a friend back, so...
Do you know maybe where we could find him? Do I look like I'm in the friend recovery business? Come again, sir. Do I look like I'm in the friend recovery business? Well, you are emergency service. I work for emergency services. This is an emergency. Frederick is gone missing. It's an emergency for you, not for me. Oh, my dear. Okay, just a second then. Stop being a twit. Give him back. Right. Do I look like I'm in the emergency services, recovery, human body, delivery, recovery system? You're behaving as an idiot. Stop it. You're a scallywag. Give our friend back. Help us. Right. What's your name? Charles. Really, Charles. Why don't you try giving our friend back? Do I have your friend? It's an emergency. Do I have your friend? No, you don't have him, but you've got to help get him back. Bring a scallywag yourself. Right. I bet you're sitting there with your chew cup just spitting tobacco into a cup, I bet. How did you know? Stop eating penguins. And while you're at it, stop eating your friend's pens. You must go. I don't know what friend he was talking about. I don't know. Sounded like someone we knew. Amazing. Really, really interesting. That's maybe what it would have sounded like. All right, you ready for some audio?
Yes, more than anything. I'm going to play for you a little Chinese boy singing Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. Do we know how old is he about? I have no clue. Where is he? Where is he? He's in China? I mean, I guess. I don't know for sure. Well said. I think. That's Larry. I'm not sure. Let's see. No, that's not it. That's Japanese. That's Japanese. Winnie Houston, I will always love you. Thank you. Thank you already. Nothing's happened yet. Thank you. Wow. Wait a minute. I'm not kidding you. That's him. Instantly looked at me. His jaw dropped open. What? His eyebrows went up. His eyes stretched. He was like.
Wait, that's the kid? That's not Whitney? Yes, it's a boy. It's a boy. It's a boy. It's a boy. I need to see a piece. I will always love you. No way. Yes, it is. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Chinese boy. What? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Holy crap. This is amazing. That's it. I'm ready for this right here. That's amazing. How crazy is that? How crazy is that? How crazy is that? That's ridiculous. I want him to come sing at my birthday. Oh. I want that Chinese dude. Can we get that kid from China? Yes. Mom, I want you to fly in the Chinese guy that sings like Whitney Houston. I want to hear the hi that... I want to just... This is amazing. Does he hit it? Oh, of course he does. And he sings right. Here we go.
Is it going to get louder? It's so good. Here it comes. Here it comes. Every jaw is open in this room. That's shocking. Please, get that high. That's a guy. That's a guy. His mom is. I actually am very proud. Are you? Yeah, I am. I am actually very proud of you. Oh, my goodness. I'm going to find out this kid. I'm going to find a picture. I need to see the video. I need more than this. It's one of the greatest things I've ever heard, ever. Wow. So good. It's great. So good. Whitney Houston. We have the video. We'll post the video on MikeyShow.com. She couldn't even do that performance right now. No. She couldn't even hit those. Dude, stop it, Woods. Oh, my goodness. Stop it. I can still sing. Stop. And I can sing. Oh, he's a Taiwanese boy, it says. I love you. Wait until you see what he looks like. You know that.
Taiwan has a lot of talent, Mikey. Is that right, Tom Tom Girl? I've been trying to tell movie phone guy that, and all he does is just make fun of the language. That's right. You're from Taiwan. Look at the picture. That's right. Tom Tom Girl. Oh. I'm guessing he's 12. Oh, my gosh. I'm not kidding you. I'm not kidding you. If I were 12 years old, that would be like looking into a mirror. It's like a little bowl kind of haircut. Yeah, Nicholas from 8 is enough. Yeah. He's from Taiwan. I want to hear it again. He's so cute. He has a little bow tie on. How incredible is that? They have a show that's called Superstar Avenue. This is what this is saying. And he won it. A million dollars. Why wouldn't he? He's phenomenal. I mean, if that kid were here in America. It's a woman. Yeah, if Whitney Houston. Stop it. He's wearing a bow tie and a suit.
You ever see RuPaul? You ever walk through North Park? He's 12 years old. Woods. He's 12 years old. If Whitney Houston had to cancel a show, he could fill it. And they would be even more happy. She could just pull a Milli Vanilli. That's right. This is going on the website? Because they'll stick it up. I have to see the video of what his face looks like. Here, this video right here. It's unbelievable. Mute it. It's great. That's, that's just, it's just, it's, it's unbelievable. I have the video up right now. I'm watching him sing. Oh my gosh. I'm coming around. I'm coming around. I'm coming around. I'm coming around. I'm coming around. Oh. Okay, we're coming, Mike. Here we go. Oh my gosh. Look at him. Look at him. Everyone's gathered around my computer right now. Oh my gosh. He squintes his eyes. That is so cute. Oh, he's so into it. Oh, my gosh. And people are swaying in the audience. It's all dark. There's a spotlight on him. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. He has a red bow tie on. It looks like he's singing to someone he loves. Jay, we got to get this on the website. I wonder what the dude that he's in love with thinks. I'm putting it on my blog. Stop it.
Woods, don't ruin his moment. He's an angel. He's a millionaire now. Well, he doesn't need clowns in America. Some Texas clown. It's on my blog right now. I just took it and put it there because it's amazing. It's amazing. Oh, my gosh. Wow. He's on point, dude. MikeyShow.com to see this video. Wow. Woods, you're not going to really make it better. Yeah, he's on point, dude. She's on point. I want to be his best friend. It's incredible. It's just absolutely incredible. I just want to pinch his cheeks. Is that too much to ask? It's not too much to ask. So cute. Did that disappoint? No, that made my day. I'm going to watch that. It's like the Charlie bit me thing on YouTube. That's going to be bigger. Did you guys ever watch Paul Potts? Oh, yeah, the opera singer. Yeah, you thought Paul Potts was heartbreaking? Look at this guy. What is Paul Potts? He was the English guy on Britain's Got Talent. He probably sent it to Mikey to watch, and he probably wrote back, that's amazing, and then never watched it. You're so jerk. It was like Susan Boyle, like that, you know, that underdog story, and then they just felt out. Yeah, there's a big Italian opera song, like Dammambierto or something. Did you guys hear who wants to jam with Susan Boyle? No BS. Who? Rage.
No way. They're playing a festival in England and they're like, we want to jam with her. She's awesome. Rage Against the Machine. Yes. Wow. Isn't that awesome? She's amazing. Is she okay? Is she okay, you ask? Wasn't she like checked into some facilities? Oh, no. That was a long time ago. After she, you know, the whole Britain's Got Talent thing happened, she was like surrounded by paparazzi all the time and it was a little overwhelming. So she needed some rest. Can you imagine her on stage with Rage? Now I'm rolling down the street with a shotgun. Awesome. We love it. So great. We're posting it on MikeyShow.com. Oh, it's up. It's up already? It's just amazing. It's amazing. Mikey Show, who is this? Hello. Hi, Amanda? Yolanda. Yolanda. Hi, Yolanda. How are you? Good. Hey, Mike. I was fine. until you said, that kid is so cute, and you made me tear up in my car. He is. You have to see it. Wait till you see it. I want to run home right now just to download it. Oh, you have to see it. He's so cute. He's so cute. It gives me... Oh, look, she's got the goosebumps. You know those kids that you see on the street, and you're just like, oh, I just love them. I want to give them a hug. And you're funny. You want him to be your best friend. He already is my best friend. He just doesn't know it.
I just think that it's so incredible when someone has this just God-given ability to be able to do something freakishly awesome. And you would never think. He's a unicorn. He's a unicorn. I say this. There are a few unicorns in the world. I think that Michael Jackson was a unicorn and that his talent was so different than everybody else's. Steve Woods. It means it's like not of this world. Yeah, it's so crazy. Other people have to decide that. Tiger Woods, did you say? You can't just decide that on yourself. Yeah, Woodsy, other people have to nominate you. Yeah, you have to be nominated. Let me ask you a question. You ever met anybody like the kid? That got weird. Wow. You meant that to be funny, right? No. You didn't? You didn't? I'm serious. I'm sorry. I thought that was one of the funniest things you've done. Is that right, pal? I used to be a consultant, kid. Oh, did you? That's right. What didn't you do, Hoyle? Yeah, what haven't you done? Really? Really? The only thing I haven't done is climb to Mount Everest, but that's on the agenda. I'll do it. And probably had intercourse with a woman. That's probably another one. That was unnecessary. That ain't funny, Pepper. Hoyle, you're married. You're married. No, I'm not married. What's his name? Is that right? You have a ring on your left finger. Why is that?
Keep the ladies off. Otherwise, I can't go to Dave and Buster's and have any peace. I think the Dockers will do that for you, bud. They're called the woman repellers. No, Hoyle's such a nice guy. Who wouldn't want to talk to him? Oh, that's so patronizing the way you say it like that. Well, I'm just trying to be nice, Hoyle. You don't have to feel sorry for me. Can you sing Whitney Houston? I get hit on, y'all. Where? What was the last line? Baby busters, I get hit on. By what? The waitress trying to ask your order? Bus boy. There was a woman that came in there last weekend that I practically had to beat off with a stick. What was she doing? What was her pickup line? She was wandering around with a white cane and a pair of wayfarers. Wayfarers. Wayfarers? She's a healthy girl, I bet. Oh, she's a healthy one. You like them healthy. I like them healthy. Thick and healthy. That's repulsive. It's not repulsive. It's great. Woods, you wouldn't know. You wouldn't know, buddy. You haven't spent time. All right? Really? Yeah, really. You want to go over resumes? Yeah, sure. Mine's so long. You won't be able to read the whole thing. Okay. All right? I was shagging them when you were stealing diapers. That sounded creepy. Shagging them, huh? Not only that, but your mama's so fat.
Is that all you got? Who has a station manager like Hoyle? No one. You've already used that one. I love the weekend. Yeah, you said it a couple times. You got up there. That's a woods one. Let me tell y'all something. This weekend is a momentous time for y'all. You're doing your first meet and greet. On Friday, yeah. You going to be there? I'm going to be there because I'm the station manager. Good. Thank you. So we can see all these ladies coming on to you. I'm going to wear the wedding ring so they won't. Oh, all right, gotcha. But I'm going to be there. Don't y'all be giving me the break signal, Jake. Don't y'all be giving me the break signal. I'm on a roll. I'm going to tell you what y'all are going to do this weekend at the meet and greet. Oh, you are? Yeah, I am. Because I know radio. I worked with Booger and Twitch.
I know every great comedian. I know every great morning disc jockey and the way that they're wired. I know your psychology. So I'm going to tell you what you're going to do. We have to do something special at the meet and greet? Everybody's got to do something special at the meet and greet. Okay. All right? Now I was thinking about it. Pepper, since you're a comedian. Yeah. We're going to have you out there smashing cantaloupes with a snitch hammer. No, no chan. Cantaloupe. No chance. Hasn't that been done before? Why would she do cantaloupe? I hate cantaloupe. Hasn't been done before. It hasn't. No. I thought Gallagher does something like this. You dummy. Gallagher did watermelons. Oh, that's what I was thinking of. I bet you're a huge Gallagher fan. As each M1 walks in, Gallagher's a genius. As each M1 walks in, we're going to give them limited edition 94.9 raincoats. Limited edition. So that at some point, we can have Pepper smashing cantaloupes. Not going to do it. It's the stupidest idea I've ever heard. I think it would be pretty funny. All right, clown, what if we throw pies in your face? Are you talking to me? Yeah, you're a comedian. We have people throw the pies. Maybe she wears some cool rainbow suspenders, too. That's not wacky at all. That's not a bad idea. Should I wear some floppy shoes?
Flour that squirts water, yeah. That's good. Now, we're also going to have Mikey in a little tamale. Wait a minute. You want Mikey to make tamales? Yes. I am on board with that. The tamale assembly line. Yeah, he's going to make M1 tamales. Sounds delicious. Couldn't someone else do that? Mikey's going to be kind of busy. Mikey's Spanish. He's Mexican. He'll do the best. Sorry, I mixed him up. Mexican, Spanish, he'll be out there making his tamales. I guarantee you Mikey doesn't even know how to make tamales. I bet he does, and then he'll speak Mexican to people as they walk up. Spanish. Right, whatever. He'll walk up. So Mikey's going to be rolling tamales. When is now cheese? Yep. Come on. I'll do the tamales. No way. I'll do the tamales. You can't do the tamales.
Why can't I do the tamale? You can't say stuff like that. Get out of here, Hoyle. It hurts. I just drooled. My wife actually requested that I use this thing. Well, you need to send a shout out. Dedication to her. Yeah. That's what's going on, too. Rebecca this morning. It's Michael Shannon on K-Wave 97 FM. I'm afraid this is You Found Me on K-Wave 97 FM. I haven't even said what y'all are going to do. I haven't even mentioned the rest of you yet. I can't wait. When we come back, we'll tell you. Oil, why don't you wait until we get back? Oh, sure. You're the boss, man. Do whatever you want. Tell them when we get back. That's what I just said. All right. That's what I just said. Go ahead, Spanish boy. Hit the button. Mikey Show now. 570-1949. KBCT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Is this Daughtry? Cutlass. Hoyle has been giving me the weirdest eye over the commercial break. Yeah, I don't know why. You have an idea. I don't know if I want to know. You want to know. We were talking about things that we, because Friday we have a meet and greet at Stone at 5, and Hoyle has some really...
brilliant ideas of things that we should do as kind of like skits and bits. I wouldn't go as far as calling them brilliant. Lauren's going to smash cantaloupe with a mallet because that's never been done before. Mikey's going to roll tamales, which makes total sense. That's going to happen. That will happen. That just, I think, is something that he should just do. He should just do it. Just to keep them fed and, you know. Keep everybody happy. Yeah. And plus, I mean, who can roll a tamale like Mike Esparza? Of course. It's in the blood. It's in the blood. Did y'all do your top of the hour, your mama's so fat? No. No. Your mama's so fat, her cereal bowl comes with a lifeguard. Your mama's so fat, when she fell over, she rocked herself to sleep trying to get back up. Your mama's so fat, when it was raining, she used the... Interstate 8 for her slip and slide. Slip and slide. I got one, Will. Go ahead. Your mama's so fat, her blood type is ragu. That's good. That's disgusting. I'm really getting these. I'm picking it up. All right, so when we go out to the meet and greet, we've got to do something to entertain. You've got to blow them away.
Shanna, what if you put lipstick between your cleavage and put lipstick? Oh! That's why you were looking at me creepy, weren't you? Now he's talking. I just want to make sure it would work. Like she does in, what's that movie? Breakfast Club. Yeah! Claire in the Breakfast Club. Molly Ringwald played her and she killed everybody in the library. I don't even know if I can do it. That was like 20 years ago. Well, she's about a quarter of your size. I'm sure I can. I'm sure I can. You got two days. You got two days to work it out. I thought you were going to say she's got two something else. I know. I did too. She can do it. I don't think anyone wants to see that. That's because you're a sick pervert over there in woods. You know that. That's true. Weirdo. Bunch of weird ideas. Now, Jay, what I want him to do is wear a kimono, but nothing underneath it, and then just open a kimono. Oh, good. Yeah, I'm in. Like James Gunn. 100%. Jay likes to be naked. Like James Gunn from Silence of the Lambs. We announce him. Here's the producer of our show, Jay Isbell.
And then Jay comes out and he's hot. I'm in. And he opens the Komodo. Wow. That would be actually great. I'm down. I'm sure your wife would love that. Oh, that's right. We'll just paint. Put like a nude. It'll be paint. Yeah. It'll be paint. We'll do full body paint. Let's not. No, I don't think. He has kids. They don't want to see that. Sorry, Jay. Who'd I leave at? Woods. Woods. You're going to dress like a girl. Why? Why? Please do it, Woods. I'll tell you why. Like Chaz Bono, maybe? No. Stop. Stop. She's a man. We're going to dress you like a girl. She's a man. She's a man now. We're going to dress you like a girl. All right? Oh, great. And then you're going to fool people. It'll be great. People will be like, you know, oh, my goodness, I want to meet Woods. And then you'll be like, oh, yeah, I don't know what Woods is. Oh, which Woods was here? Oh.
Where is he, y'all? Wouldn't it be weird to see a girl with a dip in her mouth, though? I think people would know. That's what makes it funny. We'll put a hat on him with a little sales tag hanging out. Like Minnie Pearl? It'll be great. Will he wear a dress? Yes, that's what I say. He dresses like a girl. Oh, my God. Will he have to shave his legs? Yeah. Well, we'll put stockings on. Gross. The hair will come out of the stockings. Make you wear... High heels and walk around. Where's Woods? Where's Woods? Woods, I think you actually should do that. Anything for the show. I'll do it. It's a bit. It's just my bit. I don't really like dressing like a girl, as far as you know. You have enough moisturizer to pull it off. I haven't moisturized in days. I'm dying. I know. I am too, actually. Why wasn't that a clean cut? I haven't moisturized in days. I'm dying. Say it again. I haven't moisturized in days. I'm dying. Not as good as the first time. No. That's funny when it's planned. That's true. Did I tell you guys about Sheriff Joe? Sheriff Joe? If you have a problem with Sheriff Joe, it's only because you're working for the dark side, Woodsy. I don't have a problem with him now. Every time we tell a Joe story, he's like... Let's say that I did have a problem with Sheriff Joe a few years ago.
Arizona's not my luckiest place, as we all know. No, it is not. I didn't even know who Sheriff Joe was until Woods told personal stories about him. He's not a sheriff in La Jolla, honey. He's from Maricopa. He's well known because he made the inmates wear pink. He's well known because he's a sadist. No, he's not. He's not a sadist. He's a sadist. He makes it so that you don't want to do it. Does he find enjoyment in the cruelty to others? Well, first of all, it isn't cruel. Really? Wearing pink is cruel? Leaving people outside 125 degree heat for days is not cruel? Really? So he went to the mall and rounded up innocents and took them out there? No, no. But you know what he did do? What? Guys that maybe shoplifted something or guys that had a few too many beers and drove. They got to go sit in the desert for weeks. You know who doesn't wear a pink one piece? You know who doesn't? Perfect people, though. Oh, really? People that are perfect don't get in trouble. The only people that aren't there are perfect. I'm not perfect, and I have never been to jail. I'm not perfect, and I'm not in the pink jumpsuit. Perfect people don't. The guy is a sadist. Straight up. Well, do you want to know what he's doing now? I can't wait. He wants any inmates in jail to, they can watch TV. Don't get me wrong. They're allowed to watch TV, but they need to pedal. I bet they don't even get a remote control.
No, probably not. But they have to pedal on stationary bikes to generate electricity for the TV sets that they use. So they can watch an hour of TV, but they need to pedal on the bike for an hour in order to do so. That's great. They need to generate 12 volts of electricity to get the TV to work. I couldn't be more on board with that. Of course. That is genius. Oh, Woods, what's wrong with that? He's a sadist. No, he's not. He's a creep, and he's a sadist. A sadist is somebody that would do that to an innocent person. He's doing it to his inmates to try to keep people from wanting to be in there. Television is luxury. Nobody wants to go. I don't even have TV. I wouldn't even give them a TV. Please. Most people are not having to do that because they're not ending up in Joe Arpaio's jail. And Joe Arpaio's. Arpaio. You know what it costs us to keep them in jail each year? Exactly. A lot. Yeah, a lot. Great. I think state officials across the nation should take a page out of Joe Sheriff's book. Sheriff Joe's book. Just shoot him, I think. It isn't that. It's just that the guy's trying to... Nobody makes mistakes. I mean, you should just shoot him. He's trying to crack down and be tough. Yeah, he's a tough guy. Oh, man. He's a tough guy. He brought back the chain gang. Love it.
Okay, so he had them all shackled and wearing the, you know, he started out, they were wearing the stripes. Then he changed them to the pink outfits. Listen, people don't want to get in trouble in Arizona because they, you know, he's really reduced crime. That's right. He has. He has. You have to give him that. He is a bit of a jerk, but. I'll give him something. Dropping the hammer. I'll drop the hammer. Wow. Wow. Let's see. M1 Amber is on the line. Hi, Amber. Hi. Hi. What are you calling about? Okay. Well. I kind of need you guys' help. My boyfriend freaked out because I got my nose pierced. Did you talk to him about it? Did you talk to him about it? No, but it's my body. Like, why do I talk to him about it? That's one of the things he freaked out. He, like, yelled at me because I didn't consult him first. Why do I have to? It's my body. You don't have to. You don't have to, but if you don't, then he might get upset. How long have you guys been dating? Two years.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's worth a conversation. Sure. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely it is. You don't have to. I'm wrong. Yes. Not permission. No, I don't need permission. Not permission. You say a heads up. After two years, you need to say, hey, hon, this is something I've been thinking about doing. I think it looks really cute and I want to do it. No, Sienna, you do not. No, no, I'm talking for her. Oh, I thought Sienna did. No, babe, yeah, you know, I've been thinking about this for a while, and I think I'm just going to go ahead and do it. You don't need to have him say, yes, I agree. What if he said no? I don't like it. Yeah, what if he said no? Then she can't do it? Do it anyway. Yeah, you could do it, but you just know that you're doing something that is going to turn your boyfriend off. And you can still do it if that's what you want to do, but you just know. Like, are you kidding? If it were me. I don't want to do anything that's going to turn my wife off because I got what I got. I got to hold on to the three things that I might have. You know what I mean? It's like me. I have breasts now and, you know, it's kind of a turnoff for my wife. You don't have breasts, Woods. I was Skyping last night and I looked in the Skype thing and I have boobs. I'm sick.
Is it like a tiny stud or is it a ring? No, they're big boobs. I saw them. He took his shirt off. Her nose ring. No, it's just a little tiny diamond. I had one of those and the men liked it. Really? Yes, they did. I kind of like it. But I still think you should have told him. I'm not a fan. The men in the U.S., Michael. Now I'm all worried because I feel like he's not attracted to me anymore. He may not be. Maybe he's bit. It's a small piercing. It's not like she got a tattoo across her face. Every time I see them, this is just me. Ladies that are listening with a nose, it rings. Please don't get upset. Please. I'm making an observation. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Everybody has a right to their own opinion. It's just not my thing. Whenever I see it, I always think there's something there and I want to go, oh, you got something right there. Well, there is on the inside. Yeah, no, that's what I thought. It's a little hook. I know. Reminds me of a bug. I know. A bug on the outside. Eventually why I took it out. Kind of like a bug, right? You had one? You're a little wild child. Yeah, I think I still have a scar. Yeah, you get those little hole scars. Another brick falls from the wall. Rebel. I was single at the time, but I wouldn't have asked permission. I guess I would have discussed it. But you've been with Matt for years. You wouldn't just do it. Yeah, you would say, so I've been thinking about this. Jay? Yeah, I love them. I think they're hot, but my point would be, is it worth the relationship, Amber? I mean, are you going to keep it no matter what? Well, yeah, now, I mean.
Okay, I agree that maybe I should have talked to him first, but now, I mean, if he tells me to take it out, then why do I want to be with someone who wants to control me? Or the shallow enough to be like, I'm out. Yeah, exactly. Like, he's going to dump me because I pierced my nose? Come on. Well, what if he came home and pierced his nipples? Yeah. And he didn't talk to you about it? And you had to go to the beach with him and stuff? Summer's coming up? You thought it was lame? Well, I mean, I don't think I'd break up with him over it. I'd tell him maybe I didn't like him or anything, but that's his body. He can do what he wants. Is he saying he's going to break up with you? Do you think he will? No, I don't know. I mean, I wanted you guys to call him. Hang on the line. I'm totally down to do that. I'm doing it right now. Wait, you have his phone number? No, I'm going to have Jay get it. Get it. I want to know what he thinks. Find out if he's there because I don't want to. Do that bit. Yeah. If you'd like to make a call. If you'd like to make a call. Nightmare. Guaranteed. Guaranteed. Is there anything we need to know about this guy beforehand? Like, you know, is he at work? What's his name? I don't know. She's on, I put her on hold. Okay. So Jay could get some info. See, I think it would be like one of those things like where Matt, if Matt did something like, like the nipple piercings or something, I'd.
I'd give him hell. Yeah. And be like, hey, I mean, it is your body, but you look like a tool. Yeah. So. That's the thing. That's why you should discuss. It's your mate that is going to be attracted or be. You're potentially doing something that will turn off your mate. You guys ever date anybody that come home with a radical new hairstyle? Ew. Yeah. Dude, in college, the girl with the Jack Daniels and I broke in her apartment, that girl, crazy time. Yeah. She cut about, I don't know. Three feet off of her hair. And I looked at her and I go, yep, I'm next. Because I knew changes were a coming. Really? No way. That was February 13th, dude, when she cut her hair. It does not come back to you. She wanted to change herself. No, she was going through something. Yeah. And she went with your boy. Shedding her old self. Shedding her skin. New start. Shedding her skin. New start. That's not necessary. But I'm trying to think from her point of view, the callers is. Jay's trying to call them. Yeah. From her point of view, I mean, it's a tiny little stud. It can be taken out. It's really not that big of a deal. Mikey's a tiny little stud. Stop it. Stop it. But guys, I mean, they change their facial hair all the time. Yeah, it's true. Like some guys grow mustaches, beards, goatees, whatever. Porn stars grow mustaches. Mustaches are in San Diego. I know. Big curls. I like them. I think it's cool. Do you? Yeah, I do.
Is that Burt Reynolds over there? Yeah. You can't see too well. Is that Burt Reynolds or is that Chewbacca? Is that Tom Selleck over there? They're rad. They show personality. Is that a miniature person that looks like Chewbacca or is that Tom Selleck? I really can't tell. Is that Hervé Villachez? Is that Cheecher Chong? Yeah. Is that Cheecher Chong or is that Tom Selleck? I really can't tell. Will you please shave your goat up and just rock a stash? If my wife will let me, yes. If she'll let you. Yeah. See, that's what I mean. You got to talk to her. I will ask my wife for permission. Can I text her right now? Yeah. But the facial hair goes back so fast. Dude, I'll do it today if she says yes. Yes. For me. Please say yes, Rebecca. Yeah. She'll say yes. And I'll grow up bushy. I'll grow up bushy. How about a full man too? With just like the love. Yeah. Just in time for the meet and greet. Want to see a picture of that? Yes. Want to see a picture of me with that? Mikey, I am honest when I tell you, if I was single right now and a guy came up to me with a full mustache, he would have my full attention. I'm serious. That is pretty manly. I think it's rad. It's like, you know that guy has a good personality if he's rocking a full mustache. I'll do it. Does it tickle, Rebecca? Like, when you kiss her? Easy, creeper. I'm sure she's used to it. Oh, my. Who's the creeper? You're such a creeper. God, Lauren. I'm just saying, with that. Lauren, you're such a sick.
Pervert. When Matt has facial hair and he kisses me, sometimes he scratches my cheek. 570-1949. This is taking a long time. What's his texting art? Can Mikey please grow a mustache? Can Mikey please shave? If she says yes, I will do it. Oh, my God. I can't wait. I will do it for sure. Can we do it right now in the air and get a razor in here? Sure. Yes. I will go to CVS. If she says yes, I'll do it. Jeremy. Jeremy. We need you. You want to see a picture of me with that? Yes. Come over here. Oh, my gosh. Full name, Jill? Yeah, but you still have this guy. No, that's no. Bro, just that. Okay. I will. I'll do it. Wait, why did you have that, Mike? Oh, wow. That was a strange way to ask me. Were you auditioning for a role of this? Look at this. Look at this. I want the full, thick mustache.
That you can twist on the side. You have to take it off the chin. That's uber creepy. No chin, Mike. Your chin will be bald. And maybe even... I can't wait. I'm picturing you. Put your hand like this. Did she text you back? No, I'm waiting. Put your hand like this. There's a blinking red light. Put your hand like this. Mike. It's going to look great. It's going to look great. Hey, Mikey. Yeah. I've got Amber's boyfriend, Stu, on the line. Stu dog. But we need a break. Yep. Let's... We'll take a quick time out. Come back and we will talk to him. No, no, National Lampoon. Vacation. Yes. Can't wait to see what Rebecca says. All right, we'll be right back. We'll talk to him. Okay, Shay. To the Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

I know, but that's what's weirding me out because you're 16 and you're a white kid. You're sitting there and you've got a big clock around your neck on a necklace. Girl, just come back. Why is your hat turned to the side like that and you have a big clock around your neck? My pants on the ground. Why are your pants hanging halfway off? They're like practically at your knees. You don't worry about it. I'm looking at boxer shorts, jeans with a belt, barely holding on to your waist. Kid doesn't like to be told what to do. How come every picture of you on your MySpace is a picture of you with those pants and no shirt on? Take a picture of yourself in the mirror. Yeah, with a picture of yourself.

Amber called us because she got a little stud in her nose. Old nose piercing. Oh, Mikey. And your boyfriend didn't like it. No, he did not at all. We have him on the phone. M1 Stew? Yeah. Stew dog. Hello? How come you didn't like it? It's not, you know, it's not not liking it. You know, that's not what it comes down to.
But it appeared out of nowhere. You know, I don't know. I just paid somebody for as long as we've been together, you know, you'd clear some sort of change like that with the other person so that they wouldn't be caught off guard by it, I guess. Amber, that sounds fair. It does sound fair. And I didn't mean to, like, go behind your back or anything. I just really... Didn't think it was that drastic of a change. I mean, it's just a little tiny diamond. I honestly thought you'd like it. I think it looks cute. Hey, you guys from back in my hood, I can tell by your voice. Where are you guys from? This is Frankie. Where are you from, Amber and Stu? Amber and Stu! Amber, where are you from? Where are you from? Both of you. I'm originally from Michigan. You are not. You're from my neighborhood. I could tell anywhere. What's your brother's name? What's my brother's name? What's your brother's name? Ricky? I have a brother named Kevin. I know every Kevin back in Brooklyn. Wow. She's not from Brooklyn. She's from Michigan. Yeah, did you hear that, Frankie? She said she's from Michigan. I know every Kevin in Brooklyn. Great. All the K-Dogs in Brooklyn. Stu? Yeah? It doesn't seem unfair.
that she decided to get a piece of jewelry. Well, you know, I mean, it's up to... Everybody can decide what they want to do with their own body. That's not it. I just figured, you know, being a part of a relationship had some sort of... I'm not trying to be controlling. That's not what I'm trying to be at all. That's almost how I feel. I feel like you're almost trying to be controlling. Like, I'm not allowed to do something to my own body because you might not like it. Well, that wasn't the intention at all. It's just, you know, if you were going to make such a decision, like, to be run by me, you know, not to say that I have any control over the matter, but just, like, a get ready for this decision that I'm making. Okay, and what if I would have asked you? What would you have said? Well, I don't know. I mean, that's something we didn't even have the discussion in the first place. So how do I know? I mean, if I would have come to you and been like, Stu, I want to get my nose pierced, what would you have done? What would you have said?
I have a question, Amber. Amber. Yes. You just said, what would you have said? What would you have said? And when you said that, I could tell that you already anticipated what he would have said. You know exactly what he would have said. Which is why you did it without telling him. Oh, yeah. Which means that you know what he would have said, and you decided to do it anyway. Well, you know, I mean, you have to look at it from both ways. How that makes me, I think yes, I think that he would have said no. And then it's what? He owns me? I'm not allowed to do something to myself because my boyfriend says no? You thought that he would say no, and then you decided to do it anyway. Which means you're inviting...
conflict. Amber, I just want to say we understand where you're coming from too. We're just trying to understand where both of you are coming from. I understand it's your body. You should be able to do whatever you want. I don't get where she's coming from. It's her body. She should be able to do whatever she wants. She is allowed to do whatever she wants. What I don't understand is the whole concept of And I don't understand the consequences of doing whatever I want. No, and that's the thing is you should understand the consequences. Yeah. Because it does sound like. She knew it. You knew that he was going to be mad. And Stu, I have a question. Yeah. Can you put your honesty cap on real quick? Put on the honesty cap. Are you going to put on the get me out of trouble later? I'm just going to ask. I'm going to ask a blunt question. She's going to kill him. No, I'm not. Yeah, you don't want to now? No, no, no, I'm not. Well, when Amber... No, Amber's going to kill... Oh, yeah. You didn't hear it. She's going to kill him, yeah. Yeah, you did. When Amber first called, she was worried that your opinion of her and your relationship had maybe changed. Like, maybe you were going to be leaning more towards breaking up with her because of something like that. Is that something that's maybe crossed your mind because you're that disappointed? Honesty, Cap. Well, you know, it's like we were talking about it. I mean, like, what is this?
representative of more so than, you know, I wouldn't end any relationship just because somebody wanted to pierce something in their nose. But as far as like what that means, as far as her opinion of what's in what I think, you know, it's just an act of rebellion, you know, like this constant. She was like testing you, kind of. It's an act of rebellion. It was a test. Well, listen, when I said it, Pepper recoiled like, oh my goodness, what a strong word. Well, it usually means that you are being Rebellious? No. It means in order to be rebellious or to rebel against something, something is controlling you or governing you. Well, I think that in order to be rebellious, you're doing something that you know is wrong. And I think that the thing that was wrong was not running it by. She doesn't have to follow his rules. He can say, I don't like it, and she can get it. The thing that I don't get is she's like, before she ever did anything. She knows this guy. She knew he wasn't going to like it. And she made the decision and the choice to do it anyway. But you know what? It's also like a father-daughter relationship in a way for her to do that. And it's like, why should, you know, if she's a grown woman, she shouldn't need her father's approval to do something. Woodsy. She's got to be ready for the consequences. Yeah. And the consequences is a bad word. Consequences is she did something wrong. Yeah, it's the wrong word. Wait a minute. No. Consequence of me.
The consequence of me picking up this piece of paper if it's got wet ink on it is that I might get some ink on my finger. Right. That's a consequence. It's a consequence. She's got to be ready for the fallout after. She's got to be ready for her to come home and him go, really? With the nose pierced once you grow up, Pete? Okay? You got a real job. You don't need to be getting your nose pierced. Yeah. And then he's got to be ready for her to fire back with, well, it's my body. I can do whatever I want. Stu, can we keep the honesty cap on? Sure. Do you find it? Attractive. Oh, wow. Obviously, he doesn't or else he wouldn't be upset. It's definitely youthful. Wow. There is a lot being said in that statement. Amber, how old are you? I'm 25. I was 25 when I had nine. You were? No, actually, I was like 27. Do you think it's something that you're going to keep for a long time, Amber? Or do you think it's just something fun to do while you're young?
I honestly haven't thought that hard about it. I mean, you guys are making it into like, I did this specifically as an act of rebellion because I was being controlled. No, no, no, no. And if I made that, if I painted it that way, I'm sorry. I don't think you did it specifically as an act of rebellion. I think you did it and it was rebellious. No. What Amber sees is that this is a small, small thing that you can take out and it's done. I just liked it. And I thought it was going to look cute. And honestly, the reason, I figured you would probably say no. Yes. I did figure that. Which in itself would cause a conflict. So my reasoning was, I'm just going to go do it. And then when I come home with it, I figured there would be some sort of discussion. Oh, a discussion. Maybe he'd see it and actually like it. Or, you know, it would be less dramatic than him telling me no when I was getting into this big argument over it. You knew you were going to. The thing is, is it's something it's something that's right on your face. And so if he introduces you to someone, you know, and he's already a little bit insecure about it, you know, because he didn't know it was coming. And that's just his friends. That's the first thing they're going to see now. M1 Ilana is on the line. Ilana, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. You have a question for Amber? Yeah, I was just wondering in the switch side how Amber would feel if maybe her boyfriend showed up all of a sudden with his ear pierced or something. How would she think that?
What about that? I honestly, I know everyone's going to think I'm just saying this, but I wouldn't care. Please. He comes home with a dangling cross from his ear. What if he had a tattoo across his neck? Well, obviously, but that's not what I did. It's not even like I have a huge hoop like Christina Aguilera or anything. It's a little itty-bitty tiny diamond that you can barely even see unless, like, the sun shines on it. Okay, so Stu comes home. and he looks like Barry Bonds when he gets home because he has a dangling gold cross from his ear. It's a piercing. It's a piercing he knew you wouldn't like, but it's a gold dangling cross. It's different. Why? First of all, the cross in and of itself is... Okay, it's a dangling... It doesn't matter about what the thing is. A hoop earring. It's a hoop earring. No, it's a dangling earring. How many people walk around with a dangling sandwich from their ears? It's a dangling star. Listen, Barry Bonds wears that dangling gold cross, and it's the cheesiest thing. It's repugnant. It's the cheesiest thing.
But that is so, like, gaudy, noticeable, and not really commonplace. A lot of people would think a nose ring is gaudy and noticeable. People used to not notice mine at all. Mikey thinks they look like boogers. My own dad, his eyesight is so bad that he didn't even notice it. What about this? What about if he came home and he had a hoop ring in his eyebrow? There we go. What about a hoop ring? He looks like the singer from Crazy Town. Yeah. He looks like Aaron Lewis from Stained. The thing is, he can do whatever he wants, and so can you, but when you're in a relationship, it's kind of like there's no I and team situation, especially after two years. You guys have been together. You should be able to talk to him about it. I just called my wife, and I asked my wife, hey, what do you think about me rocking a straight mustache? True. And she goes, and she didn't hear it very good. And she's like, huh? And I go, you know, just like a straight mustache, nothing else. And she goes, oh, no. And I go, done. Okay. Done. She's the one that's got to kiss me. But look at Amber. That's not the same situation with her because she doesn't want to be told what to do. She's not married yet. She's not married. She wants the ability to do what she wants. She's not being told what to do. All she's doing is getting feedback. That would be bad if he went.
You are not doing that. That's wrong. That's wrong. But what if somebody goes, ooh, babe, that's not my thing. Well, okay, you could still do it, but you know. But know that he's not going to be as into it. Yeah. Maybe if she asks his opinion, then yeah, he's entitled to it. Yeah. But if she just does something that is not affecting him, it's not a big, obtrusive thing on her face. I mean, guys that are listening right now get tattoos all the time. I guarantee they don't ask their... significant other if they can get one or not. I actually would not ask Rebecca about a tattoo. And a tattoo is permanent. A piercing is not. I would ask her more about shaving my mustache than I would about getting a tattoo. It's something different. But a stat is so small. Yeah, I don't know though, man. Mikey. Yeah. It's noticeable. You go outside, it twinkles in the sun. Sometimes it's notable. You have a really shiny booger on the outside of your nose. It could. I mean, what if Stu's like me and he thinks it looks like a little boogie? I think he should tell her that then. But it shouldn't be a deal breaker. I don't know that it is. But, Amber? Yes. Would you consider taking the nose ring out or is it staying? Well, considering that...
Just got it recently done and I paid for it and everything. I want to keep it for a while. I mean, I'm not saying forever. Maybe I'll get sick of it eventually, but it's just something different that I wanted to try for the summer and see how it goes. What if Stu gave you the $9 back that it costs you? It doesn't cost $9. $7. The $12. It costs like $50. Yeah, it costs way more than that. Really? Yeah, and depending on what kind of post, like I got a diamond in mine. How much did it cost, Amber? It costs 50. I bet you, Stu, would cut a check. Yeah, if he doesn't, me and Woods will chip in and cut a form. Well, she just got it. She can't change the fact that she's getting used to it herself. Stu, do you think, has this changed your opinion about Amber that she would do this to you? I mean, are you okay over there? Well, I mean, right now, I'm still kind of angry. It just happened recently. I want to give myself some time to cool down about it. It just feels more disrespectful than it does. I would run. I would run. Why would you run, Jay? She just has zero respect for Stu. The way she's even talking to him. A lot of snapping. I see fingers in his face. The Z finger. Respect. That's what men desire. Respect. Every person desires respect. Every person desires respect. Every person desires love. But for women and men, it's different. Women desire love.
in a different way than men do. Absolutely. For a man, love is translated through respect. Okay, and her putting a tiny little speck in her own nose is disrespectful? Yes, absolutely. How? How does it reflect on him? She didn't talk to him about it. She didn't respect him enough to say to him, hey, this is what I'm thinking of doing. She knew his opinion. She knew what he was going to say and she did it anyway. That's a lack of respect. She's not married to him. It's a little childish. She is not married to him. Well, if he likes it, then he better put a ring on it. And if he wants her, then he better put a ring on it. You're trying to think of the Beyonce words? I'm trying. I'm a single latest. I'm a single latest. I'm a single latest. I'm a single latest. Maybe it was a test to see if he would stick by through thick and thin. Sounds like he won't. Really? Thick and thin is something completely different than a piercing. That's not thick and thin. So is if she gains 50 pounds. That's really thin. Oh, she gained 50 pounds? No, but that's an appearance. Wait a minute, though. It's not like she's going to go. It's not like she's going to say. Woodsy. See you later. I'm out, 100%. See ya. You're a monster. Can I be done for the day? She's never going to say, a woman will never be like, darling, I don't know. What do you think? I'm thinking of putting 50 pounds on.
It's an appearance thing. I'm not saying that they're one and the same, but it's an appearance thing. Matt, please go get a mohawk today. Please. I see both of their sides, but I think in the end, if you want to be in a successful relationship, you need to be able to communicate with each other. There's no I in team. Matt came home last night with a new wardrobe that he picked out. He tried it all on for me. I told him that he got a pair of mom jeans. And he said, you know what, babe, though? I said, it's whatever makes you comfortable. Oh, really? After you tell him that it looks like mom jeans? He asked me what I thought. He still had the receipt. And you said, they look like mom jeans. But if you really like them, then keep them. That is so weak. Okay, he constantly says to me, I have zero sense of fashion. I have zero sense of fashion. Here, let me try these on for you. He's a stylish guy. I know what you mean. I know what you mean. Completely changed my man's wardrobe. He was wearing, first I said they look like dad jeans, and then for a final dig, I said they look like mom jeans. Yeah, so double slay, it's called double slay. I really want to see what they look like. He asked my opinion. You know what I bet it is? I bet they were hot, and she didn't want girls to see them in those jeans. You tell them to call the kid, I'll take him out and get him some never had a chances like these. He won't wear those. He thinks those are too feminine.
Never had a chance. Never had a chance. If I've got these on, never had a chance. Those aren't the ones. No, these aren't my never had a chance. No, yeah. I can tell. We'll see them on Friday. Stu, Amber, can you please, Jay, keep their numbers because I want to find out what happens to them. Thanks a lot, guys. Communicate. Communicate. Love is important. Run, Stu, run. Lauren, I think you should just buy Matt's clothes from now on. I keep telling him that. Todd stopped so long ago and it's the best thing that's ever happened to him. Can you imagine, by the way, if we just reverse and she goes, hey, can I get your opinion? You know what? Can you just tell? And he's like, yeah, it looks like your mom jeans. Yeah, those jeans are awful. I would say thank you. I'm not wearing these. I want to look. Liar! No, it's true. She would be sober. She's right. She'd be sober. She'd be sober. Maggie, don't you say all the time you can't tell somebody how they feel? That's not true. You wouldn't cry? I would not be mad. No. Not if I... Maybe she's right. If you ask, you have to be... I asked Todd over the weekend about a dress that I got because I got a bunch of maternity dresses for my birthday. Yeah. And I tried one on and I was feeling a little like, I'm not sure about this one. And he's like, yeah, you kind of look like you're a boxer or something like that. And I was like, thank you. Okay, good. I would get kicked in the...
Yeah. Okay, I didn't, Sienna didn't sew the dress herself. Like, that's a different story. If he were like, wow, your butt is enormous. But mom jeans is so rough. Hey, he didn't make the jeans. He just bought them from Old Navy and wanted to know my opinion. You don't have to sew. What? Do they have elastic on the back? You make it worse because she tells me. Did you buy him in the woman's section? He's crawling under the bed right now. Right now, Matt is sitting Indian style with a samurai sword. Matt, you're a good-looking guy. Very stylish guy. No, he's not. He asked my opinion. He's not insecure. He's not. And you know what? I am. Let me tell you. If my wife said... You look like you're wearing mom jeans. Mike, you said that she makes fun of a pair of your shoes that you wear and you continue to wear them. Which ones? They're like black nurse shoes. That was me. You guys killed me. Orthopedics. You brought it up and you said Rebecca does not like these shoes. She doesn't. He's never worn them since. She doesn't. No, I wore them once. Hey, you haven't worn your building climbers. What?
Sanooks. Yeah. The greatest thing ever. Yeah. These are so comfortable, dude. Yeah. My friend Robbie hooked us all up. You were shamed out of the Hugos. I swear to God I wasn't. With some Sanooks. You'll see them. Dude, I love those Hugos. The bottom of Woods' shoes. First of all, they have no laces. You slip them on in their tennis shoes. Yeah. They're European. And the bottom of them have suction cups. You guys are roasting Woods. Why is it so bad when I do it? It's every day I get roasted. Yeah. But why is this so bad when I tell Matt that he has mom? Because we don't make love to each other. Yeah, that's right. We can abuse you because we're your friend. He wants to look good for me as I want to look good for him. If he told me I had a pair of jeans that look like mom jeans, out. No way. She'd be like, I'm going to wear these. I'm going to wear the hell out of these. And I can wear what I want. I'm going to wear the hell out of these. You are 155% wrong. Guys also learn not to argue because the girls just know. Todd used to give me a hard time about my moccasins. Now guess who has a pair of moccasins? Oh, my God. Matt wears a wolf shirt. Matt wears a moccasin. That's a bit. No, it's not. He wears plenty of stuff that I hate, but I'm like, hey, you wear it anyway.
He wears a wolf shirt. He wears a wolf shirt. That's a bit, though. No, it's not a bit. It is. He does it to be funny because they do it back home and they all think it's a funny joke. That's a bit. He doesn't care, though. Right. He doesn't care. It's still a bit. Like, hey, look at me. Yeah, look at me with my wolf shirt. No, but he wouldn't walk down the shirt and want people to be like, oh, look at that guy. He wears a wolf shirt. If Lauren tried on a pair of jeans, it's one thing if he was like, babe, your butt looks really big. Right, right. No, you don't say that. You say, I don't know. They're not as, you know, I really like those other jeans on you. They fit better or something like that. I got some tips for you to get good sleep. Everyone needs to hear. The song is called Cheer Up. See if my theory is correct. Cheer Up. First words kill me. Cheer Up. You're worse off than you figured. That's correct. You like it? It's very deep. It's very ironic. It's really ironic.
Don't you think? You're wrong in my theory. Yes, you are. Let me see. He looks a little bit like Daughtry. Really? Yeah, if Daughtry was way uglier. Oh, you're mean. He's got that going for him. I love this song. I'm just kidding. I don't know the guy personally. I have. I do. What's this slaying me right now? Not literally. That would be really weird. That would be weird. What is she doing? Can you imagine?
Can you imagine? I'm on fire when I drink. Really? I'm like, but I'm... No, she's like, no, literally. I light myself on fire. A burst of flame. Shoot out. That's a comedy bit. Yeah. That's my bit. That's my bit. That's my bit. I got to see it sometime. So we got some tips for you to get good sleep. Now... Is it obvious stuff? Work out. Like weed. Go swimming. Okay. See, I knew you were going to say that. This thing comes with two different categories. The obvious things like no caffeine after a certain amount of time, working out, blah, blah, blah. But then there's another category. Oh, I know. I know. What? Pretend that you're in a pod that's filling with oxygen as you're nude in your high school bed. That's what Mikey does. Pod door closing. Signing off. Take me home, mother shit. Okay. No, this is kind of like that, though. If the sleep doesn't come after you've, you know, had warm milk or whatever, then do it. Captain, we can't get enough oxygen into your pod. We're trying to get power restored. I can't believe you do that, Mikey. I do. Do you say anything? No, I don't. Doors closing. He's lying there in total silence.
She's like, and here comes the oxygen. Prepare for departure. Pod is closing. Oxygen initiated. Rebecca's like, babe, what did you just say? Nothing, babe. I thought you were asleep. Oxygen increase. 25%. It's 6-10. Pod, why are you working? 6 o'clock at night. Increase oxygen. Oxygenating air. Oxygen level achieved. Sleep initiated. Oh, my stomach. Are you sure you don't say anything? I don't say anything. What do you say in your mind? What does your mind tell you? You have to have a certain routine every night. I want to know. Now it's time. I imagine I'm in a pod and I imagine that oxygen, you know, deep sleep enriching oxygen is coming into the pod and I breathe it in and it puts me... Please nobody draw a picture of Mikey in a pod laying in bed. It should be like one of those pictures of babies that get in like the little pee in the pod thing. But Mikey with oxygen. You know what I think of? Do you get swaddled? I think of... Rebecca swaddles him at night. Yeah, his little legs are all wrapped up like a burrito.
His arms are pinned to his side. You know what I think of, Mike? Mike, the spinal tap pod. That they're in those pods. That's what I think of. That's what it is. Do you do this every night? Every night. No, that would be weird. Once is too many. What about on the weekends? Do you do it on the weekends, too? Of course not. That would be so strange. The weekends, you don't have to wake up early. Oh, man. Okay, so Mike, if maybe you're pod, the oxygen cuts out. It's not working. Try one of these. When your hoses is broke. I'm like, oh no. Rebecca's laying on it. Yeah, I'm like, oh no. Babe, can you move your leg? It's on my hose. It's on my oxygen hose. You're kinking my oxygen hose. She's like, what are you talking about? I'm sorry, honey. Oxygen hose cramps. Here's one of the things that Rebecca does for you is she just makes the noise. Thanks, babe. Oxygen hose compromised. Eject, eject. Eject, eject. I can't get out of this damn thing. I don't know what the hell's going on. Oh, my goodness. I can't breathe. Babe, babe. I can't breathe. It's my oxygen. Honey, my imaginary pod is suffocating me. It's clothing on me. I love it.
All right, well, if your pod doesn't work, here are eight other tips to do. What? Breathe deeply and slowly until you can't stand it anymore. Duh. What do you mean, duh? I don't do that. In through the nose, out through the mouth. I do that. Yeah, it works. Wow. Genius. Really? Breathing. That's creative. Okay. Can I just come up with that one? They're in fantasy land. Okay. All right. You breathe it. You exhale until your lungs are, like, empty. Mm-hmm. And then deep in. Deep exhale out. For me, my lungs are the size of an acorn, so it doesn't take very long time. Mine are filled with tar and nicotine, so it's perfect. I have small lungs. Ed Chaturanga. Okay, if your mind is racing, what is Ed Chaturanga? What is that? It's not Ed Chaturanga. Who is Ed Chaturanga? Is he coming in studio Friday? He should come in on Friday. I had to have a talk with Lauren last week, and I go, You have to be careful of saying things that only you understand. And then cracking up. What about your I'm a bandwidth and the barefoot naked ladies? And the barefoot consultants. Barefoot consultants. Oh, he got it. He was drinking water and now he's not. It went everywhere. What did you say? What did you say? Look, I told Lauren, you got to be careful and say, just try to say things like I'm a bandwidth and a consultant.
It was like Chinese. It was Ina Garten on the Barefoot Contessa. What is that? No clue. The Barefoot Consultant. The Barefoot Contestant. Whatever that is. Oh, man. Well, there was nine foodies in the audience that got it, you know? Oh, yeah. That was yesterday. Yeah. Okay. If sleep won't come, if your mind is racing, you're lying in bed, they say write down what's on your mind. Yeah, that's actually good. How are you going to sleep if you're writing? Now you're completely cognitively out. Once you get it out, you're like, ah, you feel better. Why don't you say it then? I'm laying in bed going, I'm so mad at Mikey. I cannot believe. that he did not answer my phone call. It was only 6.15. Well, that works for some people. And Jay, look at all this stuff Jay's making me do tonight. I can't even believe it. I'm never going to get any sleep. Oh, my God. And Wes's stuff is right next to me. Yeah, I hate it. Yeah, Lauren's just writing, if I have to smell that Copenhagen one more time, I'm going to vomit. Is that my voice the whole time? Yeah, I think I just got it. Really?
Yeah, and then, oh, I feel so much better now. You might. No. No, it's, okay, so it works. If you're like, oh, gosh, tomorrow, I'm supposed to go. I should definitely pick up groceries tomorrow. And, oh, I still haven't booked that flight. I didn't harness that wheat either. Yeah, I forgot to bail all that hay. I didn't get a wheatgrass shot today. I need two tomorrow. Matt did not husk that corn. What the hell are we going to do for dinner? What else? I need to return Matt's mom cheese. Without him knowing. And Matt's going, I need to refill my scotch supplies here. I have to reteach Matt how to make a bed. Tell him about that corner that he left. That's right. Okay. It's called hospital corners, dear. Hospital corners. You ever hear of them? You ever hear of it? This one might work for some people, but it seems like it would annoy me. Slather yourself with body lotion. Sounds good. Perfect. Absolutely. Done. It feels good. And also if you're having trouble sleeping because you're hot, it will cool you down. What if you already do that and your name is Steve Woods? What if your name is Steve Woods and you already sleep full of body lotion? Slathered in body lotion. What if James Gumm is your roommate? Yeah, what if that? What's that smell of vanilla? Get ready for mine. Hey, if you're having trouble sleeping.
Why don't you rub this lotion all over your skin? What happens if you don't put the lotion on the skin? It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again. Yes. It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the oxygen hose again. Initiating Jane Gamble. Woodsy's lotion levels are low. He ran out of his lotion, his Nivea for men. That's so weird, Sienna. I can't believe that's on the list. It's weird. Rubbing your body. Slather yourself up. And it says slather yourself. Slather yourself up in egg yolk. And butter. And butter. If your feet are cold, put on socks. God. Yeah. Some people are lazy and they don't. Okay. Stretch your body. Like get up and stretch. No way. Yeah, that works. That gets me fired up. Okay, you guys. Here's a favorite nighttime drink that this woman did.
It's a really quiet studio. Is there a baby? Yeah. So we just threw a baby in here and ran out. So we just stepped on a cat. Our door to the studio is very squeaky. Opened the door, threw an infant in, and left. Okay, you guys, do you want to try this drink tonight? Because I'm going to tell you, it'll make you fall asleep. What? Whiskey. One third a mug of milk. It's called Jack Daniels. This is true. One third a mug of milk, add boiling water, one packet of Equal, and a dash of vanilla. Bring it up to temperature and add a tablespoon of yeast. And then throw it down the garbage. It doesn't sound that bad. You'll feel much better. You'll feel great. It doesn't sound that bad. Gross. Ew. Hot milk. Make yourself yawn. That works. You can make yourself yawn easy. I can't. I never yawn. It's contagious. I can do it right now. Yeah. I never yawn. Yawning is so gross to me. Yeah, it looks like a cat, doesn't it? Well, just when anybody yawns, I'm like, oh, I bet that smells. He gets so mad at me when I yawn. When I yawn on the air, he gets so mad. Oh, it's awful. I look at him fumbling for the button. What if he was like, sorry, am I keeping you up? No, I'm not keeping you awake, Woods. Yeah, sorry. I had a teacher in high school. He wouldn't care if you cheated in front of him, but if you yawned, he would lose his mind. Yeah, that fires up a lot of teachers. He's like, that is so disrespectful. Sorry, dude. I have no control over it.
I yawn. No, I don't. It's called going to bed. No, I yawn. It's just I don't go to bed at 6. Yeah, dude. You go to bed at 11.30. I go to bed at 10. You're like watching Conan in your robe. I go to bed at 10. Conan, you're great, dude. You're the best. I go to bed at 10. Don't. I hope you don't give. I yawn all the time. I can't help it. Can't. I don't yawn on the air. It's not because I'm tired. I just yawn. Yeah, I can't. I do the same. Yeah, it's okay if you're at home or in your car. No, but you don't yawn on the air. Are you being perfect? You can't help if you have to yawn. Yeah, you can't. It's called getting sleep. It doesn't matter. Now that we're talking about it, I feel like I've got to yawn, but I'm scared. It doesn't matter. It does. Bro, I can sleep for 19 hours. I'll still yawn. It's just one of my bits. It's like you over slept and now and then you're... I'm going to go to HR. You wouldn't know. I'm feeling. I'm going to HR. You wouldn't know because you've never tried going to bed early. Maybe you get the kid a pod. Yeah, maybe I get a pod. Oxygenated pod to fall asleep. It doesn't work. I yawn anyway. Okay. He hates it. No, it's the worst. I yawn all the time. I can't, all I can do. I'm like, we're on the air and people are listening and they're like, oh man, I'm bored too. No, I turn off the mic and I turn away. I guess I just don't bring it. I can't help it. I thought I was bringing my A game, pal. You are, but you can't yawn. It sounds like you're tired. It's a bit.
It's not a bit. It's not a bit. Everything's his bit. Okay, there's only two more things that will help you sleep, and that's stretch your toes up and down a bunch of times. I like that. I'm doing it right now. Me too. My ankle just cracked. I like it. And the last one is, and this might work. Why is Jay laughing? I'm out of woods. Oh, I like it. I've never done that before. What's the last one? The last one is, tell yourself, I have to get up now. Imagine that you just hit the snooze alarm, and in a minute, you're going to be marching through the morning routine. Do it. Which immediately puts you in exhaustion mode, because when your alarm goes off the first time, you're like, no. No, this can't be happening. My alarm goes off three times a year. That's amazing. The other days of the week, or the other days of the year, I wake up before the alarm. I wake up a lot, like maybe 15 minutes before my alarm, but I will. Go back to sleep so I can get that extra few minutes. You know what my new bit is? It's the most delightful thing and it happens every night. What? I go to bed about 10 every night. And it kills you. And I... Get that big five hours of sleep, huh? Well, after I get three or four in the afternoon, I'm good. Do you? Do I get more sleep than you? Yeah. Are you napping? Every day. You know that. Every day. Every day. Well, that's good. I napped like a fiend. I got nothing else to do. Yeah, yeah, that's good. So I wake up and it's like midnight.
And the feeling that I have, I wake up like on my own and I look at the clock and I go, like I'm giddy. I'm like, I got three more hours. I'm like, I got three more hours. I'm talking trash to my alarm clock. I got you, dude. In your face. I got you. I wake up at midnight and I'm pretty stoked too. I'm like, I have an hour and a half left to sleep right now. See, now that I'm on the morning show and I'm terrified of oversleeping. Every time I wake up now, the whole bit is I'm scared and I'm jumping around. Like I took a nap yesterday for the first time in weeks. I took a nap. I woke up and right as I woke up in my dream, I heard them say, she missed the whole show. And I was like, oh, yeah, like she's super scared of missing. I have those dreams. I think if it's going to be anybody, it's probably going to be me. And what will happen is my dog will chew through my alarm clock. And move my cell phone to where neither alarm goes off. And I'll be rolling in here at 7. My boyfriend, Matt, is now having nightmares about the Mikey show. Oh, I know. He had a nightmare that Mikey didn't make it to his own show. And it was me, Sienna, and two kids that he went to high school with. And then Sienna bailed. And it was just me and them. And we were like, hey, how you doing? Good morning. Hey. It'll be a great show. Yeah.
This is what I do. I sit on you. Mikey! What in the world? Is this Jake's? This is what I do. I sit on you. Right on your lap. What is this? You know it's bad at books. It doesn't even have words. Right on your head. What the heck? This is what I do. This is what I do. This is what I do. Sit on you. This is what I do. This is what I do. Sit on you. That's really creepy. This guy I don't think is hot. It's from the show Tim and Eric. Sit on you. Is that on the Disney Channel? It's the weirdest show. No. It's on Adult Swim. It's real weird. Oh. How about this one? Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Is that the new Mumford & Sons? I knew it was. Is that you singing, Mike? No. No, it isn't. Plebeian, that's not Mumford & Sons. You know damn well. Yeah. Yes. Better. That's some good stuff. Name that movie. Phil Withers. Oh, no, don't tell me. Notting Hill. Yep. I've never seen it. It's when he's walking down that main street. Is this a part that you always messed up? What? Is this a part you messed up at? No. That I missed? I don't missed. He balls. The kid balls. Oh, he missed. He's a baller. I thought you were saying messed up. I messed. Me too. I was like, huh? Missed. You get misty.
I'm going to tell you what airlines charging $45 for carry-ons. Perfect. We stopped talking about those dogs, too. Oh, yeah. I didn't read you this email. I got to read you this email about the dogs. This is one of my favorite bands in the world, Starfield. That's your... Who is it? Yes, Starfield. It's probably my favorite band in the world. Oh. Like this band. Oh, dude. You know how Deftones gets inside my bones? Yes. That's this band. I love it. They get in every... They just... This band kills me. It's like the Jonas Brothers and me. You know? It's like what? The Jonas Brothers and me. That is not... It just... It is not like the Jonas Brothers. It is too, dude. And you. Uh, welcome back. Mike and Sean. Uh...
We're getting some text messages at 949mikey at gmail.com. Mikey, is one of the tips about sleeping thinking that you're in a capsule filling up with oxygen? That's M1R dot. That's Mikey's tip. It's just what I do sometimes. Crazy. I do it every once in a while. Crazy. Yeah. Crazy for sleeping in an oxygen pot. Mikey, it's killing me. What's the song with no words at the end of the show that you play every morning? I've searched and Googled my brains out. Yeah. It's this right here. Yeah. Name that movie. That's where I got it. Got it from the soundtrack to Kill Bill. Kill Bill. If I see a song in a movie and it hits home. They always do in the movie. They do. It's like Scorsese in The Stones. When he uses The Stones. Oh, yes. Kills me, dude. Right? Yep. You think it does the same thing for girls, or is that a guy thing? It's a total guy thing. No, it doesn't. Look at... Women don't have that. They're incapable of feeling that. Yeah, that's not fair. It's going to kill her. I know. Oh, man. Oh, dude. Blow. Right? As soon as you hear that. This is... It's from Blow, too. Is it? Yeah. Give me shelter. Yeah, they do it in Blow. I remember it in Casino. Me, too. And in Departed. It's Sharon Stone stumbling down the hallway in...
In Casino. Casino is one of my favorite movies. Oh, it's so good. Yeah. So good. So you guys just take that, all right? Yeah. Girls can like Casino. But, okay, that might be atypical for a girl, but, like, how many girls can tell you the songs in, like, The Notebook, Dirty Dancing? Like, it does the same thing for them. It's just different kinds of songs. That's true. Oh, please, right? Closer. Closer. Yes. That is a good movie. Creepy. And also Grey's Anatomy. Every episode of Grey's Anatomy. Doctor. I watched it yesterday. Grey's Anatomy? Yeah, because you were talking about Rebecca watching it. And I was like, I haven't even seen the most recent episode. And that was the one you were talking about. So I immediately got online and watched it. Doctor, am I going to make it? I didn't cry, though. I just want to know. I would tell you to sit down. I'm sitting down. You know that. You do know that I don't know that because I'm the only blind doctor working at Grace. You see me sitting down, do you not? Your dog just told you that I was sitting down. No, he didn't because I lost my dog last week. I'm sorry to hear that. Now, am I going to make it? There's no easy way to tell you this. You're not making it to me. Because I'm at Grace Hospital.
Exactly. Nobody ever lives at Gray's Hospital. No one has ever survived. We actually have the worst doctors in the history of the medical profession. Well, yeah, we were going to be shut down last year because everyone dies at Gray's Memorial Hospital. Everyone dies at Gray's Anatomy Hospital. Yes. 80,000 women just scream at us. You stupid morons. It's Meredith Gray. It's Meredith Gray. It's a Meredith... Jerk. Meredith Gray is the main character. It's a great show. So is this it? Or are we trying to work this out? Absolutely not. We made an agreement that this was forever. I haven't even told my parents I'm gay. Much less everybody else we work with. Well, maybe you should start telling everyone. Well, maybe you need to stop telling me what to do. What is going on? Damn it. This doesn't happen in Grey's Anatomy. This is every episode. Every episode. Every episode of Grey's Anatomy. Oh, it's so good. I said to my wife, I don't really yell out jihad. I get killed for that. I wonder why. They were like, why would you ruin that moment for her? And I'm like, I don't. I don't really ruin it for her. I don't. But I say to her, why do you put yourself through it?
It's obviously wrecking your life. It's not. She's like this. I'm like, babe, why do you do this? For years, Todd thought it was. Greg's Anatomy. Greg's Anatomy. You guys get an amazing piece. Greg's Anatomy. He doesn't know what, you know, but he would always say, oh, Greg's Anatomy. And I would never correct him. Who is this Greg guy? Yeah. You're watching that porno, Greg's Anatomy again? Still to this day, like he may still call it Greg. I don't know, but it's one of those things I think is really cute and I'm not going to correct it. No, don't. Greg's Anatomy. That's like chocolate with my son. I told him, no, son, it's chocolate. My wife's like, don't. Fix that. It's so cute. Chuckling. Vince was shampoo. Shampoo. Can I give you the shampoo, Dad? That's cute. Greatness. Let's see. So I got this email for you. Should we do this? Yeah. Well, first of all, real quick, what airline's going to charge 45 bucks for the carry-ons?
Well, it's an airline I guarantee no one in this room has ever flown on. Thank goodness. It's called Spirit Airlines. Except Lauren. No, they crashed back in like the 90s or something. Did they really? Yeah. Well, apparently they never recovered from that because they're now charging up to $45 to bring a carry-on bag. One bag? On the plane. Now, you have your personal item. Like for a woman, it would be a purse that can go under the seat. It's like Mikey's purse is fine. He can walk right through with it. Mikey, your purse is cool. It's fine. But if you have one of those, like a... Like a small roll-on that you need to bring and put in the, what's it called? The bulkhead or the overhead? Uh-huh. You can't. That's wrong. Uh-huh. Get it. That's what I say to them. You have to pay. It's ridiculous. Where do they fly? Like from Akron to Toledo? Like I've never even heard of them. Yeah. Spirit. Yeah. And from Bakersfield. They only fly around. To Chico. Arizona. Every day. Round trip. Bakersfield to Chico. Tucson to Phoenix. Great. I think I'll make the two-hour drive for the same amount of money. Well, they're assuming that more of these airlines are going to start charging as well. And I'm sure they will because it's ridiculous. Because Spirit always sets the trends for the other airlines. The CEO at Southwest is like, I don't know, man. That guy at Spirit, you guys really got something. Look it. Obviously, they charge for checking bags now everywhere except for Southwest so far. Yeah. It will start.
charging for oxygen, Mike. Yeah, they will. Better. No more food on your flight. I'm going to take a nap on the plane. It's going to cost my wife about five grand to come here this weekend because she's bringing two of the dogs. Ridiculous. She wants to leave them at home and I'm like, absolutely not. They go on the plane or into the plane? They go on her lap in a carrier. And they're so good. They don't make a noise. They just want to be with her. What's up, dude? No! I'm just telling you, man, if I was sitting next to... You're not supposed to bring them out. If I was sitting next to... What's up, dude? What's up, dude? Come on. Eject right now. Please. Those are his babies. I know, but... Eject, dude. There's babies. She's trying to hang out here. Eject. My dog would be really good, too. She's an angel. Hit the button. Speaking of dogs, see how you handle this one, Woodsy. You'd think you were about to eject right now. Listen to this. Mikey, saw something the other day that I had to write you guys about and get your thoughts. I pulled up to a restaurant and there was two dogs locked in a car. But the windows barely cracked. And you see Woodsy. Like he just got tense. I can hear him. And? Says it was so hot outside too. They were both little dogs like Woodsy has. And it made me really mad. He's going to his.
I guarantee you Woodsy brings his dogs in the car. It broke my heart. I was so mad that I left a nasty note on their car and considered calling the police. Oh, my gosh. It's my turn. Is it? Is it? Is it? Is it? Is it? It depends how long they've been in the car. Yeah, maybe they're going in to pick up some takeout. That was an overreaction. Is this animal cruelty? Please help enlighten some folks out there. M1 dog lover. Why not just leave the dog at home? That's a decent idea. When they have shade and water. My dog loves to come, and then my car is shade. I mean, if the sun's blaring down on the car, I mean, this was in San Diego over the last two weeks. It hasn't been that hot. I'm pretty toasty, dude. There's a couple days. A couple days. Yeah, my dog loves to go in the car. You have a giant dog. How do we know that the guy didn't just run in and run out?
Yeah, how do we know that? We don't know. Because he had enough time to sit there and write a letter. Yeah, this person probably sat there and waited and then wrote a note, a nasty note, which I commend her for. Yeah, the person that wrote the note, I mean, or the owner of the dogs, obviously wasn't running in and out or else they'd be looking to make sure the dogs were okay if they were worried about it. And they would have seen some stranger checking out their car. This is when I wish I could curse on the radio. And I can't curse. Do you ever leave your dogs in the car? I will leave them for... Five seconds where I can see him through a 7-Eleven glass window. And that is it. You do it. I leave the car open. Running. I leave the car running. What if this guy said to you, keep your eyes on your own paper. I would probably knock his block off. Nobody gets in and out of any store ever in five seconds. I do. Five minutes. Five minutes at the most. Five seconds. So maybe that person was in there for five minutes. Five minutes. The most. What if they were in there for five? I leave my car running with the AC on. What Jamie and I will actually do is I'll take the clicker off, put it in my pocket, leave the car running because Lucky will get up by the window because he'll want to see where we're going and he'll lock the door. And so I'll take the key fob off, put it in my pocket, walk in, get my smokes, get my cigs, and then I'll walk out and inevitably the door is locked because Lucky locks it. And I unlock it and I get in. Maybe Lucky also jumps on the gear shift and the car starts. He's not. He can't. My car needs a button. My car, you have to push the button in.
Maybe he figures it out. They have a permit. They don't have opposable thumbs, fucker. We had a 911 call the other day. It's a cat. Like Mita. Mita. Yeah. Right. It's a line from a movie. It's a line from a movie. It's a bit. It still made me nervous. But some dog drove a car the other day. We heard it. Yeah, you can never be too careful. Can't I? Well, you don't know if your dog is going to put it in reverse and pull out of there. You just don't know. Your dog's in a locked car with the window barely cracked. Unless it's five minutes. But if it was cracked enough, someone could reach in and steal them. I leave the car on with the A.C. running. Not with my dog in the car. They won't. What if they did? What if they did what? Put the A.C. on. This person would have known if the car was running. No, you crack it about two inches. All the windows about two inches. And then let air flow through. And if it's not 90 degrees outside, if it's like 70 out, you're fine. I don't like that. Would you leave your kids in the car? It makes me sad. How about this? All right. Question. You have twin boys. Yeah. Would you leave your, would you, for five minutes, five seconds, 10 seconds, would you leave your kids in the car? No, because they aren't, they aren't, they're human beings. It doesn't matter. My dogs to me are human beings. We'll grow up in Peter Pan. But you can't say that your dogs are human beings because they're not human beings. It doesn't matter. To us, they are our children. We don't have children. Those are our children. They mean more to me. They mean as much to me as your twin boys do. This is true. I mean, there's people that like that. Here's the deal. If I saw a guy.
kick my dog, I would no longer be on the Mikey show. Because you know why? I would be in prison. There is no question. There's no question. Well, yeah, and I know that people get upset about their animals. There's no doubt about it. Look at me, I'm like beet red. I know. It's hard to discuss it with him. There's a difference between humans and dogs, but when you don't have kids and those are his kids, it's different. The man should have been... Arrest. Yeah. You know where they should send him? Tent City. No. That's where they should send him. To pedal to watch TV. Sing, sing. Done. Fine. If it's hot out, just leave your dogs at home where they have water and shade. Why do they have to be in the car? And if you do take them with you, take them to places that you can go. There are plenty of restaurants that are dog friendly. There are plenty of places that are dog friendly. Especially in California. Absolutely. Yeah. Gitmo is perfect for the... People that herd animals are... Idiots. Idiots. There's no other way to put it. I don't think they're trying to hurt. Well, he wasn't trying to hurt. Yeah. I'm sure they love the dogs just as much, which is why the dogs are with them. But to me, like my dog, my stepdaughter always asks, can we bring Zipper with us? And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. Because I just see her just whining and crying. And it's annoying to other people when a dog's like, you know, keep them at home. Get a good dog. My dog is good. But she loves me and she'll cry if I'm not with her. Yeah.
Especially if she can see me and I'm not there. It would drive her nuts. Flips them out. I just am tickled by the juxtaposition of this particular guy having little Yorkies. Of course. If you, like, let's say I met him. And somebody said, why don't you guess what kind of dogs he has? Rottweiler. I'd say Rottweiler. I'd say Bulldog. Boxer. Doberman. Pitbull. Lab. Do you have a lab? Four little Yorkies. Heavenly. Do you know this is one of mine and Jamie's songs? I thought you were going to say, did you know that this is mine and Penny Bell's song? You have multiple songs? Yeah. You're not allowed. Sure, other songs.
Just pick one. By Your Side by Sade. Weird. One day on my Thursday bumper music, I'm going to do 16 of them for me and the wife that we really enjoy together. Sweetly. I have those. Yeah, I have those. Yeah, but you will say it's one of your songs. This is like one, like I picked Sade for our wedding and this is like her favorite song and so we always jam it together. She sings Stevie, I sing Henley. That's really cute. Yeah. What's up, dude? Sorry, I care, man. Really? Is that a deal? We can't make any more fun of him right now. We're there. We're there. We're there. We're there. We're there. We're there. Nobody should Photoshop leather and lace. A picture of Woods and his wife singing leather and lace. Nobody should do that. Nobody better Photoshop a picture of Woods wearing leather. If anybody photoshops a picture of my wife wearing lace, they're a dead man. I mean that. Oh my God, it's better than I thought.

The new home of the Mikey Show. FM949. Top five, Mike. Ever, ever. I could be on my way to a funeral and hear this song and I'm like, really? Absolutely. Top five. That's a great song. Oh, wow. Pepper's out. No, no, no, no, no. I'm just shaking my head at our listeners and how hilarious they are. They're genius. Yeah, that. We have two, okay, exact same subject, Mikey Pod. Yeah. From two listeners.
We're going to put them up on Facebook. They're the worst. We've gotten some really, really interesting emails today. It's me in a pod. I have to save it as a different name on my desktop because it's the exact same. Wow, it's funny. They're brilliant. MikeyPod1, MikeyPod2. We'll get them up there. Make it right. My wife said that's what made her fall in love with me because she realized that I could only be hers. That's right. It was like, you know, that's another thing we should talk about at some point, Mike, is that how you know your wife or your husband is perfect for you. The way that I re-fell in love with my wife the other day, I think I told you guys this off the air, I was watching the Red Sox game, Yanks were losing, stupid sweet Caroline came on, and my wife, love of my life, writes me a text, and all it says is, F. Caroline.
Is that Mrs. Woods? I totally have those. I know the moment I fell in love with them. Is that Mrs. Woods or is that Mrs. Woods? It is. I was like, I freaking love you. I love you. That's awesome. Because that's the Red Sox song. Yeah, it's their song. She goes, F Caroline. I love her. What was the moment you fell in love with your husband? You guys are going to make fun of me. Probably. Probably. I'll guarantee. Yeah, because I'll make fun of me because I know it's ridiculous. What is it? You know how I like some farting humor. Yes. Oh, God. We were driving along. This was after a few months of dating. And there was a guy on the side of the road. This is so mean. He was struggling to pick something up. And he bent down. You know how Woods goes. Todd did it. Perfect timing. The timing. It's got to have the right timing. Because he knew I was looking at the guy like, oh, I feel kind of bad for him. I can't pick this thing up. This is in front of his house. And Todd just goes, you know, like a big juicy one. And I'm telling you, I have never laughed so hard in my life. Laughed so hard, you get it. Basically, yeah, in my life. And I was like, man, this guy is going to make me laugh this hard for the rest of my life. It's going to be great. It's awesome.
Can he still kill you with one of those? Oh, yeah. The fart stuff, anyone can get me, but he's really good at it. F Caroline. Save that. Yeah. That's a good one. Mine with Rebecca? Oh, I know when I fell in love with Rebecca. When? I was going to have surgery, and she lived in San Diego. I lived in Northern California. Mm-hmm. And she sent me, she was my girlfriend at the time, and she sent me a care package. Oh, yeah. What was in it? Everything. It's the best. Everything. You guys saw mine when I first moved here. The wife sent me a big one. Remember that? To the office. Mac and cheese and all kinds of stuff in it. I would never do that. And I know how much that would mean to her. I don't have it in me. It's not a guy thing. A guy thing is not a care package. That's a girl thing. And guys, ladies, if your guy's away and you send him a care package, he will fall in love.
You guys never would expect it, you know, because you guys don't think of doing that stuff. So when you do and you give it to them, they're like, that was so nice. These are all the things I like. That's probably a really good tip for a dude out there with his, you know, maybe his old lady's out on spring break or something. Yeah, call her your old lady and send her a care package. Give her the package. That's right. Give her the package. She'll like that too. Creeper. Yeah, girls would like it, huh? Yeah. Well, when I was in Australia, I sent a few things to Matt. And then he finally sent me something back, and it was hilarious. He, like, he drew a picture of me. Like, it was... Napoleon Dynamite. Yeah, it was exactly that. And then he apologized for how creepy I looked in the picture. Yeah. And then he included a picture of himself looking like a D and called himself out for looking like a D. He drew a picture of himself as a penis? No, he included... He did, like, a photo... No, he... She said, like, a D. Like a D. Not like a D. Oh, like a DB. Yeah. I thought you meant a D. I just shortened it. Like Matt's head on a D. No. But he did a photo shoot because he's a musician. He looked like a jerk in the picture. Oh, he looked like a clown. Yeah, he looked like a clown. And then he goes, I've also. Nobody photoshopped Matt's head on a D. I don't want to back up to that conversation at all.
I thought I was on the right track. You marked the time down here so I know what to talk to Woodsy about later. So you mean he drew a picture of his piece? He's trying so hard to just get bored. He drew a picture of his piece. And then the last thing. Who would do that? Matt would. I thought he was trying to be funny. No one would ever do that. No. No one would. No. I would do that. Woods would do that. That's why he said it in a really normal voice. This is not anything abnormal for me. He's like, oh, yeah, I did. Weirdo. How did you draw that? You've done it? Yeah. As far as you know. Can we talk about that? Sorry. The last thing he included was a strand of his hair. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. He might as well draw a picture of his hair. Lauren, when you get home? No, he was trying to be funny. And he said, surprisingly, it hurt more than I would have thought to pluck this out of him. Really? Yeah.
And then he sent one of his kidneys. Yeah, seriously. This is why him and I are together, not you guys. Yeah, that's why we're not with Matt. I think that is hilarious. I'd be like, where's the Sour Patch Kids? You know I like them. You're like, how about some Chips Ahoy? Where's a picture of your D? Hey. Listen. Hey. Better write her down, too. Somebody else is getting written up. 59 a.m. What? Why did you draw a picture of your piece? I didn't. Yes, you did. No, I didn't. You're backpedaling. No, I never did. Why'd you say you did then? I can't draw. And that's the show right there. All right. Well, great. Hi, Hillary. Nice having everybody here. Oh, my gosh. Hill, come here. Do you remember the moment that you fell in love with your husband? Oh, I do, but it's going to embarrass him, I bet. You don't want to say? Do you remember the moment that he fell in love with you? No. Has he ever told you? No, I don't. He's never told you? I don't think so. No, I don't think he's ever told me. You should ask him. That's a good question. What was yours? You don't want to say it? It was actually before we even hooked up for the first time. That's awesome. You fell in love with him before you guys ever hooked up. Yes. I knew that, yes. Something he did just slayed me. Really nice thing? Tell us. What did he do? Oh, my God. Yeah, guys want to know this stuff. Yeah, these guys are getting their pens and papers ready.
No, no, no. It wasn't something he did to me, actually. He used to be in a band for a long time, Transfer, and before that he was in 10 Pembro. So this was 1999. We lived in Mission Beach, and his band was playing somewhere down there. Yeah, so I had just met him and I was like, hmm. And his drummer had moved in downstairs from me in Mission Beach. That's how I met all them. They invited me to go to their show. So I went because I knew a bunch of my friends would be there. So I just went by myself and I walked in and he came up to me and he gave me this huge hug and was like, and I didn't really know him very well. I just knew that I thought he was cute. And he was like, awesome to see you. Right on. Thanks for coming. Blah, blah, blah. And we chatted for a little bit. And then he took off. And what made me sort of like realize that he was super awesome. The one. Totally different. The one. Was I watched him do that to everyone. Hug him. High five him. Like he's so kind. He's like the kindest person I know. Most open hearted. Like makes everyone feel good. That's a really good story. You know what I love about that story? It's not.
what i expected me neither no does he know that how he treated everyone like i just noticed that's great talking to everyone and being he's always got a smile and he's always positive and so um yeah i was like that guy is awesome That's cool. But he doesn't, you know, he makes everyone feel good. It doesn't matter who you are. I thought he was going to get on stage and do a bit. That's exactly where I thought she was going. I want to send this one out to a beautiful blue-eyed lady that's very special. She doesn't really know how I feel, but hopefully this song will tell her. It's called Hillary. Does he know that that's the moment you fell in love with him? I don't know. That's a great thing. That's a great thing to know. So cool. My wife, because we were talking about it once, so I told her the thing about the care package. And then I wanted to know. Can we finish talking about this in the morning? I like this. I do too. It's a good topic, right? I want to know when Rebecca was with you. I just told you. Like, I don't even know. No, but when she knew she fell in love with you. She told me that night and I can't remember. She said it was the pod thing. I'm not kidding you. You're a weirdo. Pod.
I'm not kidding. She said, that's the only reason I've ever told the story. She said that when I told her the pod thing, she goes, he's so weird. She said this in her head. He's so weird. He can only be mine. I love that. Wow. I got to ask Jamie. I have no idea what Todd's is for me. No clue. Let's ask Jamie when she comes in Friday. Yeah. Probably when I took my clothes off, I would imagine. Really? When Todd fell in love with me, too. She likes transvestites. Okay. That was the only way Kim could keep me from stalking her is just to give in. This conversation keeps going sour. Yeah. Yeah, it really does. I love it. Well, folks. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Woods just dropped his phone for maybe the 400th time. All the time. There's no glass on the front of his Blackberry. There's no glass. It's all broken off. When you see the wives on Friday, you are going to die. She ran over it with a car. You are going to die. I can't believe it still works. It doesn't. Oh. That's a major saving. Tell you want to say anything about what you got coming up next? The Clash. Good stuff. Grizzly Bear. Them Crooked Vultures. Oh, and my favorite Gorillaz song from the new record.
