Thank you show. Lou Bush here. He's on vacation today. Don't mind all this. We're going to have some fun this morning, guys. Lou Bush covering for Mikey, as I said. We're going to have some fun today. I'm going to have some trip ups, I'm sure. Jay, keep it up and see what happens. I'm pretty quick. That's what your wife said. Oh, not good. fingers, side of the face. Sienna. Yeah. Guiding my day. I'm going to try. The Oracle. She's the Oracle today. She is. Woodsy. Yes. I'm not going to use Woodsy. I think that's too close to you guys' bromance. I don't want, you know Mikey's listening. Yeah, he's right. Yeah, I don't, it'll be a jealousy thing. I'm going to call you Woods. That's fine. Or Wood. Jay calls him Wood. Don't call me Wood. Wood. Easy Wood. Call me Woods. Wood. Okay, Wood.
L.O.B. Yes. I like the smile. How you doing? Oh, my goodness. This is going to be fun. First time on the mic. It's been a while. I'm usually doing sports. TV, right? Yeah, a little TV, a little bit of this, but this is different. I appreciate it. I want to tell you guys, it's a great honor to be with you guys amongst all these professionals. It's an honor to have you, Lou. Thank you so much. I do appreciate that. Word of the day. You're kidding, right? No. In honor of you. Ribs? What do you get this from? You're a man behind the barbecue. Yeah, exactly. You do make some mean ribs, man. You know what's up. I do appreciate that, but there may not... Is there like a bias, maybe? No! Like, are you racist? What? I didn't say that. I didn't say that. No! He made his barbecue, and that was his specialty. Okay, I should just say thank you. Yeah. You're welcome. Ribs. It's meant to be a compliment. And you have to use it in a sentence. Yeah. Ribs. Later. Later. Later. Slip it in. I'll slide it in. Whoa. Oh, God. Come on. Mikey just threw up in his trash can. Mikey had nothing to do with her. Yeah, sign me up for that. L.O.B. is just over there. Is she? This is like, for L.O.B. today, is like a fat kid in a candy store. Oh.
You're going to have to explain that. We're going to have to go into a little detail. Oh, my gosh. I almost painted. Oh, my goodness. Okay. Okay. And you're a married man, right, Liz? Yes, happily. Honey, I love you. I have nothing to do with any of this. It's just entertainment. It's jokes. It's a bit. Yes, yes. So I want to know how you came about sitting in this seat right now. The godfather seat. Mm-hmm, the godfather seat. Me and Mikey go back some years. And ones are probably like, what's he doing there? You know, me and Mikey. Go back some years. I have my restaurants and things of that nature. He'd have me come on. We do cooking things and a lot of different things when he was at that other station. Weird. Mikey and food? No, no. What do you think Mikey's doing right now? Vomiting. He's vomiting in his trash can in his office. In his Tommy Bahamas? He's pacing. In his Tommy Bahama PJs. He's probably pressing his Tommy Bahamas shirt. The emails just start flying in at any moment, I'm sure. Or the call. Maybe he calls in. You think? Call in and welcome us. Say hello. Happy birthday, Mike. This guy's the voice, though. I think we all know if it was him. No, he needs to call. He can call and say, bon voyage. Yeah, bon voyage. Or hasta luego. He flies out today. He flies out today? He flies out today. This morning. Yeah, he's getting ready. He's so nice. Nice little vacay. Yeah. Tommy Bahama. Just Tommy Bahama. Tommy Bahama luggage. Yeah. Oh, Tommy Bahama luggage. Luggage. The whole thing, dude. He's having a virgin pina colada right now. In a coconut shell. Yes.
Tommy Bahama's a cook in the show. Exactly. He's listening to Jimmy Buffett in his office right now. He's texting Tom right now. TB. Get ready for my visit, big guy. He's transferring some money over to his debit card so he can just blow the whole lot on Tommy Bahama. The gift card. If Mike were here, he would be saying, I don't wear Tommy Bahama. Don't you? What kind of trunks do you think he has? Tommy Bahama. Tommy Bahama. Hawaiian print. Hawaiian print. The flowers. With the yellow tank top. Bright yellow. It says Maui. Yeah, Maui. Sleepless. There you go. So, Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Really? Right off the bat. Right off the bat. Dude, I'm telling you, I'm straightforward. Good. I'm to the point. I like it. I need to know. I like it. I like that you like sports. Like me. You think? We like sports. We're men. We are men. And you know what? I've got new cable. And so I can't watch the Padres. Who do you have? I got U-verse. Oh, they don't have the local. You're right. I love it, though. It's the greatest. It is the greatest. But if there's one bad thing, I can't watch the Padres. Now, the Padres last night got pretty much owned.
by Tim Lincecum, who is, you know, the guy's won two seconds. He's absolutely filthy and struck out 13 Padres last night. So I've been watching a lot of highlights. I've been reading a lot about the Padres because I'm really into the way they play the game. They play the game right. They scrap. They fight. But I'll tell you, dude, they're not hitting right now at all. Not one bit. As a team, they're batting only 213, and that's not going to get it done, man. There's one guy. Nick Huntley, he's batting .500. The rest of them batting, collectively, .164, which is just... You're not going to win a lot of ballgames, man, if you're not batting over .200. Is it the Padres, or is it the fact that they're playing the World Champions? Well, I think it's a little of both. I mean, it's early in the season. You want to get out to a hot start, but, dude... Hitting a baseball ain't easy. And, you know, when you're facing Tim Linscombe and guys like that, it doesn't get any easier. But the great teams are able to overcome things like that. And they have the potential to be a really great team this year. But they've got to start swinging the sticks. I agree. They've got to. It's a long year, though. It is a long year. There's a ton of games left. So they lost yesterday 8-4. Made a little run in the ninth inning off Brian Wilson. But other than that, man, it was a pretty forgettable game.
This is like my favorite time of the year. Mine too, dude. Mine too. Tell me why, bro. Well, I got baseball. I got the NFL draft coming up. We'll talk about that too. And then, you know, towards the end of the summer, you got college football. That's my favorite time. When college football is hitting, the World Series is coming, the playoffs, the pennant race, and then the NFL starts, it's like, it's heaven on earth. It's heaven on earth. The NFL is going to be an issue. We'll get into that. I don't know if it's going to start on time. It will start, but I'm not going to say probably on time. Yeah. What else is going this week? The Masters. Masters starts today. I don't proclaim to be either a good golfer or a huge golf fan, but I'll tell you, the one thing I do love, and it was ingrained in me as a kid, is the Masters. And that if you're a man and you have a wiener, you need to be watching the Masters. It's a great show. It's absolutely phenomenal. My dad went to the Masters a few years ago, and he told me he would get up at 5 in the morning and he would walk the course. And he said, walking that course at Augusta, there wasn't a cigarette butt. There wasn't a wadded up piece of gum wrapper. There wasn't a blade of grass out of place. It is so perfectly manicured that the care and everything they put into it, he said it was like nothing he'd ever seen. It shows, though. When you see the show, it really shows. It does. It really comes through. It does.
So, Sienna, anything in the news going on? Yes. OK, so we talked about this a little bit yesterday. If you have heard, which I'm sure you have, the incident on the 163 that happened Tuesday morning. Now, Ashley Simmons, a college student at USD, was driving on the 163 near Balboa and all of a sudden experienced sharp pain in her torso. Now, she didn't know what happened. So she called her mom and said, Mom, you know, I'm in so much pain right now. I'm in so much pain. And her mom actually called 911, who met her at the campus, USD. She continued driving all the way there. Not knowing she had been shot. Unbelievable. Now she was just driving on the freeway. So we don't know. This is a crazy story. Is there a sniper? No one knows. But the police were asking if anyone has any clues, heard anything, was on the road at that time to call them. So yesterday we found out a 42-year-old Rancho Bernardo man found out his car was also shot. Now he remembers driving on the freeway because he was listening to the news and he heard about this girl's story. He was like, you know, come to think of it, I remember.
hearing a loud noise around that same time at that same part of the freeway. So he goes in his garage, looks at his car, his 2010 Volkswagen Passat, and right on there, there was a bullet. A bullet hole in the door. How trippy is that? I would be so freaked out. It was a single bullet lodged in the left rear window pillar of the car. Was the bullet still there? No, I think it was just... Well, a single bullet lodged in. Yes. It was stuck in there. Let's hope they get some fingerprints off. Oh, yeah. Ballistics. I was driving here this morning. Oh, terrible. Ungodly early. Just like, oh, my goodness. What if? Yeah. What if it's like the D.C. sniper thing all over? It's so scary. I mean, these people are just driving on the freeway. And then, you know, this girl who's driving, she called her mom because the last thing she thought was that she would have been shot. Yeah. You know, she's just driving along. That's that's still crazy. I mean, it's crazy. How do you not know you got shot? You know, it's a good question. I think everyone's wondering it. But I think you're just so stunned and you don't expect it. You don't see it coming at all. And it'd be the last, I guess one of the last places you would expect that that would happen. Maybe shock. Yeah, probably a little bit of that. And you know, you guys... You probably, have you ever been driving or walking and just get a sharp pain out of nowhere? Yeah, so, you know, I get them, you know.
Kid used to abuse his body back in the day. So I get him now. I'm like, ah, you know. I thought it was her appendix. Semi-pro stuff. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Just returning. Beating myself up. Me and you were like this. Also, another big story that happened earlier this week was the... burglary shooting that happened in Chula Vista at the Otay, I can't find it now. Otay Mesa. The ranch stores down there, the mall. Yeah, the mall over in Chula Vista in Eastlake. The Otay Ranch Town Center happened around 6.40 a.m. on Monday. Three people tried breaking into the Apple store. Now, one person was like the getaway driver that was waiting in the car. Two people smashed the window to try to get in and get Apple products. Now, there was a security guard there, caught them, turned into this whole shootout. The man that was the getaway driver was actually shot in the head. Wow. He was killed, right? Yes, and killed. The two other people were later found in a neighborhood nearby by Border Patrol agents. And now they have been to court yesterday, and the two people are pleading not guilty. Oh. How? Good luck with that. Yes. Good luck. Damn good lawyer.
Yeah. The charges they face, well, first of all, they held on a $500,000 bail. In addition to attempted murder, the main man, Johnny Chanda, who's 25 years old, is charged with conspiracy to commit a burglary and robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, attempted robbery, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, along with gun and gang allegations. He's facing more than 50 years in prison. Enjoy jail. Have fun. Don't drop the soap. Don't drop the soap. Hope you're cuddly. Crazy shooting stories. People are losing their minds. I know. It's scary. Kind of makes sitting home on the weekend watching movies with the missus sound pretty good. Netflix is a great thing. It's a brilliant thing. I was laying there trying to go to sleep last night. I got to tip my hat to you guys. I cannot see how you... I laughed, honestly. When you guys talk about how early you go to bed, I'm like, bunch of sissies. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Is it? Yeah. Jay. What are you insinuating? What are you trying to say? Is it because I'm black? What? Did you say something? But as I sit there, I'm trying to go to sleep and I'm listening to the news so I like to go to sleep with the TV on.
The government shutdown, what is going on with this? Oh, my gosh. Well, Obama actually said last night that progress has been made in the budget talks, but that no deal has been reached yet to avoid this government shutdown, which is supposed to be happening on Friday. And that's going to be happening if there's no agreement. Yeah, this has been a big story right now. Obama told reporters, quote, I thought the meetings were frank. They were constructive. And what they did was narrow the issues and clarify the issues that are still outstanding. But it affects San Diego. And in particular, it affects local military members, because in the news this morning. It says thousands of military members based in San Diego could go without pay just temporarily if the looming shutdowns of the federal government actually happen on Friday. Now, the question isn't whether the sailors or Marines or airmen would be paid. The question is how much and when they're going to get paid. So this is, you know, you have a family. This is affecting a lot of people. And I sat up and took attention to that. I mean, how do you not pay someone? You're talking about guys, you know, people being deployed in their interviews.
and their wives and like, we can't have that. Yeah. You know, they got to get this thing wrapped up. It's ridiculous. Something that's happening on a federal level shouldn't affect people that are out there doing their job. Well, it's this tit for tat thing. Yeah. Get it done. You can't say that on the radio, by the way. You can't, you can't. See, you know what? It's because of the first word. All right, Woods. We don't have an issue here. You miss Mikey, I know. Wood. Wood. Woody. Word of the day, as again, is ribs. Yeah, what do you win with the word of the day? What do you win? Yeah. Where is that at? I'm just kidding. A pair of tickets to the San Diego Padres game versus the San Francisco Giants Sunday, April 10th. That's a nice little prize. They'll turn it around, get things going. Plus, they're entered in the winning for... What? I'm joking. They're entered in the winning for a pair of tickets to Strikeforce MMA. April 9th at Valley View Casino Center. Diaz versus Daly. You're an MMA guy, aren't you? You know, a little bit. A little bit. A little bit. You know what's funny? First one I actually went to. Had no idea. I'm a big boxing fan. Me too. And, you know, MMA was coming around. And so my boxing guy, I'm like, hey, dude, I need some tickets. I want to go to the show. I never asked him the price. I just was like, oh, I'll just see when I get out there. I go to meet him to get the tickets. He's like, that'll be $4,600. And I'm like, what? No way.
What? No way. Well, I want good seats. I don't want to be sitting... Were these seats in the ring? Yeah. Yeah. No, no. These were like on the lower floor. You know, look, a good boxing seat, honestly, you know, you got to pay about $1,500 for a good seat. I was like... That's the freaking Sugar Ray Leonard against somebody. That's like, that's worth it. Well, it's a championship fight. But you got to remember, though, at the same time... Who fought? I don't even remember. Exactly. I mean, it was just like... $4,600. I didn't pay it. I was like... Can we just sell these and I'll just watch it from a hotel room? But you get 10 fights. I mean, if you think about it, it kind of makes a little sense. That's true. It's amazing how much those fights are. That is insane, dude. I wouldn't pay $4,600 for a Yankees World Series Game 7. Yes, you would. No, I wouldn't. Yes, you would. What's the most you've ever paid for a ticket? I think we talked about this last week. I think I paid $200 a piece for police tickets. For who? The police when they reunited. The police. Every breath you take. The band. Not the team. I don't. Okay. The team? I don't listen. We were talking about sports and I think Lou's brain was still on sports. So what are you trying to say here? I think you have a one-track mind. Are you saying a black man can't like music a little bit? Yeah, exactly. I just didn't. No, I don't listen to the police. You know who the police are. Okay. I think I do. Every breath you take? Oh, okay. Yeah. Roxanne. It sounds like Roxanne. Yeah.
I speak, you know. Oh, L-O-B, what's going on? I expect, that's the last thing I expected from you. Really? Something is wrong with this girl. If you're just waking up, Mikey is on vacation and we have Lou Bush. It's a takeover. Filling in, sitting in the big boy chair and you're doing a great job. Former charger. How do you say big boy chair? Mikey's not big. Here's the name. That's the boss's chair, the big boy. Awkward. Why do you have to put me on the spot like that? I'm just trying to introduce you. I'm still a little annoyed the day I was here last week and you told on Mikey. Who did? The camera thing. Oh, was she ratting him out to his wife? He ratted himself out. It's my job. I'm his radio wife. Mikey bought a very expensive camera that he did not need. Was it 14 megapixels? He better take a lot of pictures with that. He won't. Underwater? Yeah. And then Sienna ratted him out. At Tommy Bahamas? Well, he comes in and he tells Lauren and I about this camera he bought, but he buys every single product available. And so I was like, really? Does your wife know about this? And he was like, oh, funny you said that. And he bought it. And he's on an allowance, so he wasn't supposed to. And for the good of the show, I...
felt it was my job to let everyone know. Yeah, he pulled some maneuvers to get that camera. Yes, he did. Some swindling. Shenanigans. In case you're wondering what color it is, it's a metallic blue. Turquoise. Someone call it teal. Are you serious? It's almost neon teal. Neon blue. Something a teenage girl would have. It's like a Barbie color. I didn't say that, Mikey. Barbie color? Like the Barbie car? That's pink, but it's like a Barbie. It's a shimmery, shimmery light. There's specks of glitter. There's glitter on it. There might be a Tommy Bahama sticker on the back. I think so. I think it just says TB with a palm tree behind it. Oh my goodness. This is going to be. Tell us a little bit more about you. Kids. What do you want to know? Kids. Oh, yes. Their ages. Married. I'm married. Been married for a while. What's a while? We're on the radio. You've got to be detailed. Very specific. You've got to be specific. You're going to put me on the spot like that. Yes. 12 years. Wow. Married 12 years. 12 years. Little angel? Yeah. A little lady putting up with me. What's he going to say? Putting up with me? Come on. I mean, yeah. Four children. Three boys and a girl. Ages.
7, 10, 14, and 16. Three boys and one girl? Where does the girl fall? She's the oldest. She's 16? You're living it. I need your opinion. I had an episode last night. She's at that fragile age. Oh yeah, my sister's 16. I can't say anything. She hates you. Yeah, dude. She hates everyone, basically. No, it's me. She hates dad. What happened? Can we talk about it? I don't know if I should. If she hears this, I'm going to be in trouble some more. I'm on a diet. I told you, I'm trying to lose some weight. I'm trying to get in shape. And I went to the Frazier's Market, which is like Whole Foods. They had these beautiful strawberries. I know this sounds really... They were just absolutely beautiful. And I bought them, you know, I'm thinking, okay, the kids and we'll enjoy these. Well, put them in the fridge, left yesterday, did some work, came home. And, you know, she's standing over the trash can, just dogging them out. Just like, enjoy them. She's feasting on strawberries. I'm like, oh, that's great. You know, whatever. So I like, I go upstairs and I came back down later and I'm getting ready to cook dinner. And I look, you know, just as a parent, you notice.
She ate like a whole little, you know, the little things that come in. Like plastic bags. She just crushed it. I'm like, oh, dang, okay. She's hungry. Stepdaughter can do that really good too. And it's fruit. It's not like a big meal. Yeah, it's good for them. So it's not like eating candy. Well, I get up this morning at the ungodly hour of 3.30 and I'm packing some stuff for our little thing today, the hot sauce contest. And I look in there and in the back of the fridge, there's only one left. One strawberry? No, one of the little... How many containers did you buy? There was three. Three, okay. Okay, and they were full. I mean, overflowing. Bouncy flow. Bouncy flow. Bouncy flow. And I was like, I don't know if I should be annoyed because I was very sensitive. I was like, she just dogged. You have to approach any girl, even if it's strawberries, if you're eating a lot of food, you have to approach it delicately. Oh, yeah, especially coming from a dad. Oh, yeah. Especially, I mean... You're a big guy, so it's like, if you say something about how much somebody eats, it's like, what? But I'm not, it's not about so much what she, how, I know what it means because my dad, when we were a kid, his family literally ate one time a day. And when I say one time a day, I'm not kidding. They ate dinner. For breakfast and lunch, his dad had a banana and an apple.
And then they had a big dinner. So my dad grew up like not eating. So my brother and I would go in for a snack and he'd go, what are you doing? I'm like, I'm getting a freaking snack. And he's like, you're eating again? And I'm like, oh my God. So I think the dad that had to shell out the dough doesn't want to see his kids gorging on anything. It's not that. It's more of like, look out for everyone else. You know, you go, what about your brothers? You know, because I always get on the voice. You got to, you know, make sure everybody gets a piece. What's your grocery bill a week? It's got to be 300 bucks a week. Honestly, my kids are the most pickiest eaters. Really? I sit there. I tell them all the time, like, you know what? You're going to get to college and you're going to regret. Not eating this food. Well, when they get to college, they start smoking marijuana and then they eat everything. That's just how it goes. Late night burritos. Burritos, pizzas, whatever. You don't care. Ramen. I lived on Top Ramen. Easy Mac. I'm a Top Ramen connoisseur. It's so good. So disgusting. The frozen vegetables, little pieces of chicken. And your Top Ramen. Oh, you spice it up. I would hook it up. What? Girl, when that's the only thing you're eating, you find ways to make it better. Yes. No, but I tell them all the time, like, look, you know.
But should I be mad about this? No. You shouldn't be mad about it. Not mad, but it's annoying. Yeah, it's annoying. You should definitely tell him. That's my hard-earned money. No, it's not about the money. It's not about the money. It's about sharing. It's just the point. I'll bring home food for me. It's like I've got this thing for me that they know I like. they will eat it before I even get a chance to eat it. Put your name on it. Kids have an ungodly fat metabolism. They do it on purpose. I don't think it's on purpose. No, come on now. If she's a picky eater, maybe that's one of the few things that you've stocked in the fridge in the last couple weeks that she's like, oh, finally, something I like. I will find things that I'll buy intentionally that I know they don't like, even though I don't like it either, just so I can eat it. Yeah, I do that too. Kids, I remember my mom used to just be like, It's unbelievable. I can't keep food. I had five kids in my family. When you're a kid, you're burning so many calories. You're just eating nonstop. Eat and eat and eat. My dad would just go, just eat it all. Just eat it all, guys. We'd be sitting there making a sandwich and he would get so mad about it. It's the upbringing. It's how you brought it up. It is, man. We have an abundance. That's why I have a problem with...
self-control with food because I grew up where I couldn't just go in and make a sandwich if I wanted to. Now I'm like, hey, my dad's not here. I'll eat a whole cheesecake. My parents were like, what are you doing? You better ask. I didn't have a snack drawer, girl. What's a snack drawer? I don't know. I don't know. That means... Time to go to commercials. No, I know that. No, I'm in myself. You're killing it right now, Lou. Am I? Yeah, you're doing awesome. Yeah, it's great. You guys are just being nice. Nope, you're doing good. It could be better. All right, Jay, keep it up. Okay, first part down. When we come back, you're going to hear about a performance from a girl, Pia. Is that right? American Idol. Yeah. To you, I do not watch American Idol. She's like the one that everyone's saying is going to win. She's hot. She's beautiful. She's a little bender. She's like Celine Dion voice. I'm going to have to record that. I'm going to have to record that. But last night. Really? Not so good. Saying that everyone thinks she's so great, as you said. Do a performance so bad. Was it that bad? It was pretty bad. Oh, my goodness. Steven Tyler tells her she murdered it. Yeah.
For Steven Tyler to say you murdered it? He is a nice guy. He doesn't say anything wrong about anyone. He's getting too nice on there now. That's what it is. No. I miss Simon Cowell. I'm telling the truth. I do miss him sometimes. Yes, indeed. You will be back. It's the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Kawasaki's Ticket to Ride demo event is rolling into town. It has come to Honda's attention that our television commercials for the Really Big Thing sales event are causing some confusion. In one commercial, Honda salesmen have really big promotional buttons pinned to their shirts. Some viewers have gone to their Honda dealership wanting one of these really big buttons.
We're sorry. We don't actually have any really big buttons. What we do have are deals, really big deals on the full line of Honda vehicles, including Odyssey, the best-selling minivan, and the CR-V, the best-selling crossover in America. We've even got 0.9% APR financing for qualified buyers on a new Honda Accord or Civic. So while you won't find any really big buttons at the Really Big Thing sales event, a really big deal on a new Honda is a far better thing to take home. Hurry, the Really Big Thing is only here for a really short time. See your Honda dealers of San Diego County today. Best-selling based on Polk U.S. Retail Registration's Polk Minivan and IHS Global Insight Entry CUV segments January 2008 through December 2010. See dealer for finance details ends May 2, 2011. You like the arm kit? Yeah, it's family. Woods. I love the breasts. Zienna. Three puffins is a classic. And Jay. Yeah, I shaved my legs one time. On FM 94.9. Yes, yes, we are back. Word of the day once again is ribs. Yes, Lubos joining you here. Coming from Mikey while he's out of town on vacation. Vacacion, as he would say. What is it? Vacacion. Vacacion. Vacacion. Is that Spanish? Yeah. I'm just saying. Except he wouldn't say that because he's now, if he's listening, learning that that's what that means. Yeah. Wait a minute. He's learning what? Spanish. He doesn't speak Spanish. He's Hispanic and doesn't speak. No. How do I get that? The only thing he can say are the foods. Tu en espanol.
No, he can't even say that. He doesn't know the bathroom. I remember that from high school. Like high school. The only thing I could say was I got to go to the bathroom. He knows like all the food in Spanish. Like tortilla, barrito, javule. And he says them with the correct pronunciation. Jalepeño. Jalepeño. Jalepeño. What was the word? Yesterday was what? Bean. Bean. Dean, so ethnically motivated. Someone who's on the phone and wants to ask you a question, looks like Lou. M1 Juliana. No, I don't. You can come over and show me. Be patient. I'm learning. I'm learning as we go. Are you there, Juliana? Are you there? P1 Juliana, how are you? I'm good. How about yourself? P1. Hey, I am really nervous because I have an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old that they're playing in their first football game Saturday. And I was wondering if you could just wish them luck for me. You know what? I wish them the best of luck. I mean, ooh, they're playing. Is it spring football? Yeah. So they started, you know, they're too pretty for football. So I kind of like waited and waited, but they insisted. So they started, you know, they wanted to do it in the spring to get, you know, prepared for fall. And I get so nervous. My lips.
get dry. I can imagine. It's a tough sport. As a former Charger player, do you have tips for them? I have a tip. I'm going to say this. I have a tip, one for them. Have fun. Let them, if they want to do it, I mean, I'm not going to let my kids probably play until they actually want to because I just, to me, I just think there's so much pressure these days. Make sure it's fun. Don't let them get all, please don't be one of those parents that throws them in the, you know, the workout. programs and lifting weights at this age. Let them just enjoy it. And if they want to do it, great. But at the same time, I want you to make sure you know that coach. I just said the same thing that you said. I want to know if they want to play or I want to know if the parent wants them to play. And they both want to play really bad. Why is it so important to know the coach? Because there's a lot of fanatics out there that live through. They want to be the next. Vince Lombardi. Can I give her a piece of advice from a coach? Maybe let the coach do his job. I don't get involved at all. That's the best way to do it. That's the best way to do it. I'm not saying anything or anything. I'm just saying my experience growing up.
So that's your coach's coach. Yeah, sure. If they can coach. You have to evaluate that. Or it doesn't really matter if they can coach or not. They are the head coach. Well, no, he doesn't know everything. But he is taking the time out of his week. Oh, I agree. He's not getting paid for it, you know. Maybe. No, not in Pop Warner and Little League. Never mind. One of our coaches doesn't even have a kid. He just does it because he loves it. That's what I do. You know what? That's great, though. That's awesome. That's great, though. But just, you know. Just tell them to have fun. Make sure they have fun. Bring some Valium for yourself. I know. I didn't know it would be appropriate if I showed up sporting a buzz. With a whiskey. With a bottle of whiskey. I would think some of the parents out there are sporting a buzz. Maybe some herbal tea. All right. Well, good luck, Juliana. Can I give a shout out to their teams? Yes, please do. Okay, Alex with the lichens and Christian with the titans. The lichens. I like that. All right, good luck. And Christian, the 11-year-old, he's going to sport a mohawk first. There you go. The boss. Most famous mohawk of all time. Thank you so much, Louie. And it means a lot coming from our charger that went to the Super Bowl. Thank you so much. Hey, wish you the best of luck. Take care of yourself. I remember that. Okay, you take care now. You know, he's hanging out with the big dogs, you know. Okay, bye-bye now.
Wow. So did you watch American Idol last night? I don't watch American Idol. Don't you? Everyone does at some point in the season. No, I don't. It lost me a couple years ago. It never found me. You watch it once. I do not. I watched Pia's performance because I was in the room. That means you watched it. That means I have seen it. I do not watch it. It found you. It was that brutal. Well, Pia, okay, let me explain. She's a little better. She's the one that everyone says is going to win. She's gorgeous. She has the whole package. She is a great singer. One of those Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion. I say it every week. Who does she look like? Tell me that. Who does she look like? Compare somebody. She's exotic. She's J-Lo. She's J-Lo? Kim Kardashian. Kim Kardashian. Kardashian. She's dark skin. Got a little booty, boobs, the whole deal. A little bit of a beak. Oh, stop. A little bit of a beak. I like a beak. Come on now. Oh, my gosh. Well, she's really pretty, and it's effortless for her to hit these high notes. And every week, the judges are like, Pia, you nailed it again. I mean, you're just killing it, killing it, killing it. So she's gotten comfortable. So she's gotten comfortable, and apparently, I haven't watched this. It's on my DVR. She did not do so well last night. Let's hear this. Sounds so bad. I think he means she killed it as in she did fantastic.
Sounds great. She's nailing it. He said she murdered it. That means good, I think. That means good. Come on, it's Steven Tyler. Damn. Is that country? I don't know that song. Sounds like show tunes. Jay, anything? I think it's good. Yeah. Oh, that's Tina Turner, dude. River Deep Mountain High. I believe. Oh, it's great. Well, she's going to have some down time. Well, I know. That ain't bad, though. It's not bad. She's not. I want to hear what Steven Tyler said so I know if he's saying murdered it in a good way. Jay, you got that? Here we go. Yeah, and it says that Pia gets a positive review. Yeah, usually in the world of comedy, if someone says you killed it, it's good. Murderer! Murderer! You killed it! Yeah, it's good. There's a million guys out there in a million bars having a million drinks about you today. At least he's honest, Tom. He is the nicest judge. You can't not love him.
But Casey Abrams, who's Mike's favorite. Stand-up bass guy? Yeah, stand-up bass guy. He did that like one time. But he's good. Oh, yeah. No, he doesn't watch it. He listens to it through the clips that we play. He listens to it through his Tommy Bahama coconut shell headphones. He has his favorite, which is Casey Abrams. And he was voted off, but the judges saved him a couple weeks ago. Oh, come on. Oh, it's back. He's saying, have you ever seen Lorraine? Someone sold me long ago. I already don't like it. I like it. It's pretty good. See, I think it's way better than P.O.'s. But P.O.'s hot. That's true. This guy's not so hot. He's a max. He's a max. You can just do a John Fogarty ripoff real good. He's good. I just like him. He does. So they're in the top nine. So tonight, one of them gets voted off. And all these people are already chosen to go on the American Idol tour. Yeah.
They're good. All of them are good. They bring it. When is it over? Yes. When is it? In like nine weeks. You know. Stop getting mad. But then a new one will start like three weeks after that. Then it's X Factor, Simon Cowell's new show. That'll be interesting. That'll be good. And then there's the one with Christina Aguilera, the voice. It's terrible. You're terrible. Lou, I saw your performance and it was. outrageously. It was putrid. It was repugnant. This is your Simon Cowell? That's my best Simon Cowell. It's terrible. Really? That's your Paula. Sienna doesn't like my voice. She thinks it's terrible. You are an idiot. Have another martini. Paula may be a judge on Simon's new show. I saw that interview when they asked him. I'm not so sure. He's like, ah, we're talking. Yeah, he's talked to, because, you know, he's done the X Factor in the UK. Now he's bringing it here, which is why he left American Idol, because he's producing and has, you know, he's doing all the, everything behind the scenes, too. Well, he's making more money. Right. And he's asked Paula Abdul, who, so she may be doing it. And she also, he also asked Jessica Simpson to be a judge. Oh, God. I'd like to look at her for an hour. He thinks that she's very underrated. She's a little, she's an angel. She just wants to see her.
Every day. She has a good voice. Yeah. I'm sure that's what it is. Ooh, Jay. What? Come on. Nice beaver. Oh, my. If Mike were here, he'd be a dead man, Jay. I have nothing to do with that. He knows. That's great. That is so good. What's going on? That's great. No, dude, that's Jay's thing. We talked about this. He was going to, you're going to. police this. I can't. I'm not the right guy to police it. That's for sure. Woods loved it. I wish Wood was in charge of it. Wood? Wood? I'm calling him Wood today. Can we talk about what we figured out Jay does this morning? His nervous twitch. It's not nervous. It's hard to describe. It's not nervous. He takes the two opposite corners of his shirt. One on his left shoulder and one on his right bottom. It's not nervous. I've done it all my life. That means it's nervous. I'm itching my back. What do you have, back crabs? What do you need to hit your back up? It feels real good. If you do it, pull it tight. When he's talking about something uncomfortable, he'll be like, I don't know what we're doing today, okay? Shut up. Quit asking me. Lou, shut up. He does it all the time, and I've always seen him doing it, but never really made it like a conscious note that he was doing it. And then today I was like,
Anytime you bring up something uncomfortable, he does the shirt. It's a shirt shuffle. That's what it is. It's incredible. Shut up. Stop. Move forward. You should read Jay's recap from yesterday. Jay, really? Yesterday, I ran 17 miles. I swam six. Did 200 push-ups. You are a beast. That is a bogus recap. Excuse me. No, it's not. No, it's not. There's more. There's more. Did 120 minutes of yoga. What? In a 130-degree steam room. What? By yourself. I know. Did a P90X workout. Made love six times with his wife and built a new shed. I'm Rick James. That sounds about right. And, you know. I think he said, I felt a little lazy, to be honest with you. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. You are the man. Yeah, you know, I'm trying to get in shape. Well, you see what happened is...
Someone decided when the cat's away, the mice will play. And Jay did not send me a recap. Happy birthday to all you guys. Who's putting the best stuff together for next week? Who's the executive producer? I'm putting the best stuff together. Thank you for doing your job, Jay. Congratulations. Here's my recap from yesterday. I sat at the computer all day. Hey, it's better than giving us a list of your favorite bands. You did yesterday. What you did yesterday. So I wrote Jay's recap for him because I figured I could guess what he was up to. That's incredible. But at least she complimented you. Made love. Now that I did. She's a sweet girl. I did that. Is she? Time for the t-shirt shuffle. Go ahead. He's uncomfortable. No, no. He's uncomfortable. I cannot wait to do the hot sauce thing. I'm telling you. You're going to love this. It's so flavorful. You've talked me out of it. Oh, come on. Yeah, you screwed this up, Lou. You screwed this up. If you had not said anything, he would have done it. Lou brought in some hot sauce, which he says, one is, we'll kill you. It's so hot. It's called Beyond Death. Beyond Death. That's what it's called? Beyond Death. So we're doing a hot sauce challenge at 8 o'clock. Zero. I think we need to get zero. Yeah. Zero in our promotions department. He'll do it.
He's become our new step boy. Really? He's probably listening right now. Oh, really? You guys know he drives in from TJ every day? He lives in TJ. You said that last week. That is insane. That's insane. That's insane. That's devotion. Think about what time he has to leave. Oh, I know. Lines. Borderlines. He's just shirtless in his truck driving in. He drives shirtless? Probably. Wind in his hair. Top down. Stallion in the backseat. L-O-B just coming out of nowhere. I like that. He's got a stallion in the backseat. Yeah. We have a text. We do. Yes. Is that correct? Yes. We get texts. We get texts, right? Yeah. Okay. There it is. Have you guys heard Bruno Mars' Lazy Song? I heard the song and it made me think of what? Oh, wow. M1 Springtail. I've heard that song. Why don't you feast, Springtail? We're going to have to play that. And by lazy, you mean going to the gym. Sexy. Going to the gym, taking care of business. Just because you stand in the garage does not make you a car. I don't know what that means. Going to the gym and doing nothing. Oh, dude, I haven't been doing nothing. I've lost three pounds in three days. Oh, my goodness. The world has changed. That ain't easy. Did you find the lazy song, Jay? Yeah, here it is. Let's hear it, please.
Is this about words? Woodsy. True statement. Put my hand in my hand. That's true. It's really about all of us. This could be one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Cool voice. He's got a cool little... Not for that. I'm with you. I like the melody. It reminds me of Tommy Bahama. My lazy days are over, by the way. I'm going to have some lazy days, but my lazy... I have a ton of energy now. What did you do yesterday? Yesterday, I... Well, this thing I'm on, I have to be really strict with my diet. And I have been. Like, I haven't cheated. I haven't even had a sip of soda. Now, you know me. Fresh Dr. Pepper every morning. I'll suck down three, four DPs a day. Nada. Wow. I'm sucking down protein shakes now. Instead, I drink four protein shakes a day. And now I've gotten to where I just do this. I make them and I go...
I just drink the whole thing in one drink and then I'm done. Are they not good? They're good. They're good. Put some fruit in it. No, I can't because I can't have carbs after a certain time. Mine is legit. It's legit. Woods is like shoveling donuts usually and eating Dr. Pepper. He goes from one extreme to the next. You're a big McDonald's guy. I was. Did you ever see Super Size Me? Yeah, I did. It's repulsive. It's repulsive. But you can do that with anything. You ate vegetables for 30 days straight. You'd be... But no, I'm on a cleanse. I'm on a... What cleanse are you doing? It's called Detoxin. It's part of the same program. It's called the Contour Stack at NutriShop. It's really good. I got to drop like 30 pounds. I'm obese. No, you're not. I am clinically obese. Clinically, one of my many past careers. I worked for New York Life for a minute. Based on their little scale. So I'm 6'1". I should be around the 190-200 range. No, actually about 185. What? For their ideal, it's ridiculous. Ideal? Honestly, for my height, it was 6'3". 6'3". It was 205. What? I haven't been 205 since I was in high school or something. There's no way. That seems very skinny. I weighed myself Monday. I was 220. Okay? That's obese. I got on the scale this morning. I was 217. I was like, bam!
And now that I've seen results, literally, I'm like, oh, my God. It motivates you. Now I'm going to hit it real hard. That's good. And I'm going to work out. I'm going to hit me a workout. I think you'll like it. You got one for me. I know. I did some supersets yesterday at the gym. For legs, I was dying. dying when I left. But you will get so strong. Yeah. It'll make you, because of the pace. I need to drop weight. Yeah, that's what it is. It's a good pace. I'm not ever lifting over 245 pounds. I'm not lifting over 95 pounds. So, no, I do good with my legs. I did two 45s on each side. I almost have to lift now because my body's kind of falling apart. Yeah. And you can't pay too much attention to weight because muscle weighs twice as much as fat. Yeah, that's true. You have to look at your overall picture. Yep. And so my new bid is our new house that we got, they have a hot tub, which is awesome. So I get home from the gym, make my afternoon protein shake, and I go sit in the hot tub. There you go. Oh, my God. And I'm like, oh, yeah. I got the tunes on. It's the greatest. New and improved ones. Yeah.
It was raining yesterday. I was sitting in a hot tub. I was like, this does not suck at all. It was awesome. You guys, I haven't had any coffee. Notice, I haven't been drinking coffee. I've been like, my energy is great. I get in the gym and I want to work out. It's been phenomenal. And now that I've seen a little something happen, I'm like, I'm really on board. I need all of your support. Don't tempt me. Actually, I couldn't even be tempted the other day. Wow. Don't say that. Well, Mikey brought in Reese's and donuts and stuff. Mikey brought in a basket with ding-dongs. Ding-dongs. Pringles. Ding-dongs. And rice crispy treats with peanut butter in them and chocolate on top. What do you... This guy. He just laughed at ding-dongs. Reach for the sky, honky. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Ding-dongs frozen are the best. Oh, real? Cut them in the freezer. I'm just, I got kids. Come on now. I've never been a big Ding Dong fan. Haven't you? Haven't you? Isolate that. Isolate that. Isolate. Isolate. Isolate. Unity. Woods likes to sing. Isolate. Do I? Isolate. Just have some M1s call in and say hi. Yes. Welcome, Lou Bush. Tell us how we're doing. Former Charger. Tell me how, Lou. Tell me what you want. Gosh, man. I'm going to be here tomorrow too. Yeah. Like you would not let me sing. I wanted to sing.
Sing. Why can't you sing? You want me to play? No. Maybe tomorrow. We should do that. What do you sing? We should do that. Huh? What do you sing? I sing it all, girl. Wow. Do you really sing or do you like? Look, I sing. Do black guys ever sing? Do white guys play basketball? No. No. That doesn't really work. You guys get mad about that. That doesn't really work. I'm just joking. I have a decent outside shot. That's about it. Oh, stop. Stop. Decent outside shot. Okay. Please give us a call so we know how we're doing. So I know how I'm doing. I need it. I need some love after the next break. Got some weird stuff to play when we come back. There are a lot of new shows on TLC called Extreme Couponing. Yeah, that's a new show, Extreme Couponing. Actually, I'm cutting that right now, and that's ovation. What's that, like some kind of drink? No, it's for your hair, actually. Like a drink for your hair? You've got the color therapy shampoo, you have the cell therapy, and then you have a cream rinse that you put on after that. And it's going to help you grow your hair. Oh, grow? I can grow some more hair. But yeah, my hair has grown back thicker, stronger, longer. That's... I'm really happy with Ovation. You have to go to OvationHair.com and put in FM949 to get that special introductory rate. Don't forget, you want to get that color therapy shampoo, the Ovation Cell Therapy, and the cream rinse application. That's OvationHair.com and put in FM949 at checkout to get that special rate. This report brought to you by the City of San Diego Public Utilities Department. You know, we import water from hundreds of miles away. The City of San Diego Public Utilities Department reminds San Diegans water restrictions are in effect rain or shine. San Diegans waste no water. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial radio station. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. Last time I stole, I was five. I used to stick bubble gum down my pants. Lauren. And... Today would be so much better if I had my kombucha. Would. What I like to do also is I clip my toenails sometimes as a little treat. I like to put them on Jamie's pillow. Sienna. When they're real, you know. And Jay. Oh, I've pumped water from ditches that you would not believe. On FM 94.9. Yeah, sounding good. We are back. Sienna, what is going on in the news?
Well, the San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant is going to be testing its emergency preparedness next week. They're doing a drill that's going to be simulating the release of radioactivity. Now, this exercise was actually scheduled before everything went down in Japan. But just so you know, you know the San Onofre Power Plant. That's the one that's up the freeway, right? Dolly Parton Memorial. It's scheduled for April 12th through the 14th. Also, Alec Baldwin made some shocking news, an announcement. He told New York Magazine that 30 Rock is going to be ending after next season. It's going to be our last year. However, the network source told another news station, E, that... They've never said that out loud. Alec is just being Alec. Power play for money. So we kind of like, I don't know. I think it's a good idea hanging up while it's still good because it's going a little south. Yeah, I have a feeling. Yeah, I have a feeling that it's going to be over here next year. Woods Sports, what's going on? Well, if you didn't hear earlier, Tim Linscombe, nicknamed the Freak, was dominant last night against the Padres. Struck out 13. He was just incredible as he...
oftentimes is. Padres lose 8-4, but that's okay, man. The thing about baseball is... It's early. It's early. We got another day. This was an interesting story I just found. LeBron James' mother, Gloria, was just arrested in Miami last night for... Getting into a scuffle with a valet, a hotel valet. Now, she's been in a little trouble before. She's been arrested on drunken driving and disorderly conduct. She's been in state intervention programs and stuff. She's kind of a wildcat. So I want to definitely watch this story and see how it affects King James, who's a little bit fragile as a human being anyway. How do you figure? Really? Really. Why? Did you not see him take to Twitter after the decision? Dude. And he was freaking out. He really was upset at what Bill from Akron thought about him. I mean, you're LeBron James. But come on, man. He's a human being. He's a human being. He's a freak of nature, dude. He's that good. It's amazing. We do have a call. Yeah. M1 Nubian Prince. L-O-B. You there?
Mikey Show. How are you guys? What's going on, bro? Can you hear me? My head sits a little funky right now. We can hear you fine. You sound good. All right. Hey, you guys sound fantastic this morning. Lou, you're killing it, bro. Oh, dude. Thank you. You're so good. Lou Bush filling in for Mikey while he's on vacation. It's like my second home. Hey, Sienna, Sienna, but that one of the day, I almost cut myself shaving this morning. See? It was intentional. Today's word of the day is ribs. We haven't said it yet. He's a barbecue man. I was about to. He is a barbecue man. She's trying to make me feel comfortable and at home. You used to own some restaurants here, right? Yes, and I've never... ever doing it. Never again. Why? The happiest day is when you open and when you close. That's the same thing they say about buying a boat. Exactly. I love it. I love the interaction with fans and people that come and enjoy the food. But the day-to-day, oh my. Did you make some good dough? No, I did not. Really? You know what? I take that back. Initially, the only thing I'll do now is consult.
That's cool. I miss it, but it's like the thing you love the most will kill you. Yeah. You make such good barbecue, though. It was Sweet Lou's barbecue. Oh, it's delicious. That'd be like me opening a donut shop. You know what I mean? It's just not a good idea. I'll be getting high off my own supply real good. Thank you for the call. Hey, guys. Hey, real quick, before you let me go, let's say, what up, black people? I was just commenting on how many brothers listen to the show. Yeah. Isolate that clip. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Jay, what's going on? Jay's getting carried away. Jay, you don't have to blow them all out in the first five minutes. He's got new toys in there. Man, Jay, Jay, Jay. Word of the day, once again, I just want to touch on it since I didn't say it, was ribs. Yeah. With the word of the day, you qualify for a pair of tickets to the San Diego Padres versus the... Dodgers made a mistake earlier. It was not the Giants. They are completing the series with the Giants for Sunday, April 10th. I'll be there. You going? Yeah, we'll be there. I think I'm going to try to catch a game. I got to hook up. I know a couple people. Easy big time. Plus, you're going to qualify for a pair of tickets to Strikeforce MMA. April 9th.
At Valley View Casino Center, Diaz versus Daily. So you want to listen for Lou to sneak in the word of the day. I'm just saying, man. Sneak it in. You might have to remind me. I've been hitting the head a few times. So we have this new show on TLC. Always TLC, isn't it? I love TLC, but I'm also a girl. Women love TLC. Girls do, yeah. It's called extreme couponing. Oh, wow. And if you're one of these people, I want to know if you cut out the coupons all the time. But these people on the show are just extreme fanatics. Our parents. Listen to this chick. My name is Jamie, and I'm known as the diva for coupons. I have dedicated 100% of what I do, my time, my talent, to couponing. This is my special stockpile shower. In here I have 450 rolls of toilet paper and 250 rolls of paper towels. No one needs to yell, bring me a roll. We've got you covered. My 11th commandment is thou shalt not pay retail. It's not necessary with the use of coupons. My mom needs to be on this show. Whatever, though, it works.
She saves so much money on this episode. Yeah, she talks about saving $1,900. She pays for $100. It was a $1,900 bill that she paid $100 for. After a grueling two-hour checkout, Jamie walks away with a haul that includes 35 cans of soup, 40 boxes of cereal, 90 packages of cold cuts, 100 cups of yogurt, and 150 condiments that came to a grand total of $1,902.63. With coupons... She paid $103.72. Wow. Maybe I start couponing. That's freaking great. How much time? It's a lot of time. How much time it takes you to go through? I'm sorry. It's not working for me. I'm showing them a picture right now. My parents. That's ridiculous. Post it on Facebook. I will. They have a pantry at home dedicated only to pasta products. So it's all pasta, tomato sauce. There's some Parmesan cheese in there. Jen didn't eat that in a lifetime. Oh, they'll, they'll eat it. But my, when I was a kid, I mean, we had five kids in my family and it would be on your list of chores to clip the coupons. And my mom has a, she doesn't do it anymore because she didn't have the time, but when she had kids to do the work for her, a recipe box where she categorized and alphabetized. We'd add it too. Yes. My mom, my dad had a plastic box. Yeah. A plastic box. With the little tabs.
come home and she would report to my dad because she was a stay-at-home mom. She didn't have a job so it was her job to like pay all the bills and do the coupons and he would come home from work and she'd be like, guess how much money I saved today? And then they'd be like, woohoo! And high-fiving. With five kids, though, I have four. I can only imagine. My wife does. She's a coupon. I don't mind it. My daughter, it embarrasses her so much. Oh, yeah. It's mortifying. She'll be at the grocery store like, I'm going to walk away. I don't even want to be. It's mortifying. It's so easy now, though. Yeah, you put it on a card. You basically go up, and Kim just hands it to them. They go, and they're done. The hardest part, though, for me is. No, I think they used to have to enter men. Hold on, hold on. But if you're going to be standing there with a stack. If I was in line behind that person, I'd be so irritated. That was my mom, and then she would take her receipt, go down there, and make sure that she got the discount on everything. And if she didn't get it, she would turn us all around, and we'd have to go back into the store. How embarrassed were you? Oh, mortified. I remember one time, my mom, it was, she didn't save, I'm not kidding you, it was six cents. And she goes, mm-mm. And she turns around, and I'm like, Mom, I have six cents in my pocket.
I will give you the sixth sense. She's like, it doesn't matter. It's the principle of it. And you will learn that lesson. My dad was always a big coupon. His favorite days... He was always a big coupon? Big coupon cutter. His... Easy, Kathy. Call out over there. God. You do it to Jake. Really? You do it to me continuously. Yes, you do. Fingers. Side of the face. Slap. His favorite day, Christmas, was double coupon day. They would give double coupon. So he'd be like, oh. I didn't know that either. A double, triple sometimes. I don't mind. I actually enjoy cutting them out. It's like therapeutic. It's the using them part. But no, the part where you're in the aisle and you're looking like, which is the one? This is 12 ounces. Is this only for a six ounce? It's mortifying. That takes forever. I can't. I actually like the grocery store. I do too. It's one of my favorite places. I love it. I just walk around and go, oh, it's on sales. You know what? Have you been to the Walmart, the Super Walmart and Vista? No. They have groceries now? I love it. Oh my God. It'd be incredible. What is the most? They're stepping it up now. You need to go. They stepped up their game. Target, too, has a lot of groceries. I don't care. I don't care if it's cheap. I won't go there. Why? What? Walmart. Have you ever watched a Walmart documentary about how they just ruined small towns? They did it to my folks' town. Okay. Okay. I'm not even going to. They ruined it how? They come in. Do they provide jobs, though? They come in. Well, basically, they run all the small businesses out of business, and then they elevate their prices. All the time, getting like a five-year tax break. Right when the city's about to start making money on it, they...
pack up their building and move it just outside the town so they never receive a tax benefit after they got all this tax shelter. They don't actually elevate their prices, though. No, they absolutely do. Well, if they do, it's by pennies because if you shop around, they do have the lowest rates and they'll honor lower rates. And I guess if we want to send all of our money to China. Yeah. I'm not a Walmart shopper. It was in the movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape. It was like the big super mart closed down the little tiny grocery store. That's corporate America, though. That's how we do it here. Not right. I don't agree with it. We want everything bigger, better, and cheaper. Maybe they stopped getting all these displays out of the aisles, though. My God. I know. It's hard to walk through there. I put Sage's car seat in the grocery cart, and so I can't see directly in front of me. I knocked one over there, and it was like, oh, my God. It's right in the middle of the aisle. About 450 rolls of toilet paper. It's pretty gnarly. That's an addiction. Well, they're buying for five. They're still stuck in that mode? I have a sister that lives at home and my parents, and they still live in the same house I grew up in. And when I go back to visit there, they live in New Jersey. They have that cabinet that I just showed you. I'll put it on Facebook. They also have an entire bottom shelf of their cupboard dedicated to gravy.
Oh, my God. Gravy meaning pasta sauce. No, gravy meaning brown gravy. How many times a year do you use that? Once. Thanksgiving. Yeah. Wow. Are there different kinds of gravy? Different kinds. Whatever was on sale. My parents in the laundry room, there's a thousand bottles of detergent. All different brands. No loyalty to a particular brand. Just egg. The cheap kind. No, whatever was on sale. My mom cannot pass a deal. And my dad was always the kind of guy that would do this bit when we would go. He was a bargain hunter and we'd go to get school clothes and he'd be like, look, we go to Ross or Marshall's and he'd be like, the shirt's a dollar. And I'm like, dad, it's bright yellow. It's missing a button. He's like, but it's a dollar. And my bit was, okay, buy it. If you want it for me, buy it. I've never. wearing it he's like well you're not getting anything else i would get like oh my we get all my school clothes it'd be 650 yeah and uh i would be like i'm not wearing i'm wearing what i wore last year and then my mom finally was like you know what
Take my credit card. You have a $200 limit. Go have a ball. What? And that was the bid. Oh, no. Wow, that's one exchange to the other. Well, because my brother and I would come home from school shopping with my dad and be like, There's no way I could ever go. My dad would get Chuck Taylors, which is funny how now they're in. I don't think they ever went away, though. No. Back then, come on now. I remember Adidas top tens were like the number one. Or Nikes. Leather Nikes. And back then they were like 30 bucks. You remember the Bo Jackson cross trainers? Remember the cross trainers? Bo knows what? I had to save. My dad bought me. They were like $130. His hand was shaking when he gave him the credit card. I had Jordans when they first came out. I used to carry those around in the box. I would not wear them in the car because I didn't want to scuff up the heel. Oh, wow. I got Jordans now. I have... every pair of Jordans ever made. Are they still in the box? When my boys understand and appreciate what they have, I will pass them on. Did you ever have the Reebok pumps? I had a contract Reebok. Did you really? Honestly, my wife can attest to this. I had probably 600 pairs of shoes. I believe in rotation. I would wear them no more. Never two times in a row.
I mean, as far as during a week. You would match them perfectly, too. I still have shoes. You've got to coordinate. I would never. I still have shoes from probably early 90s that still look good. Oh, my goodness. That still look good. So is your closet bigger than hers? Yes. Is she listening right now? I hope not. Can we get a picture of your closet? We need it. Maybe she calls in. Is it perfectly organized? I need to see this. Honestly, I just this year. A month ago. A month ago we moved. Gave away stuff. I had bangs of clothes from when I was in Kansas City. Winter jackets and all these. I think I'm borderline. When I want to wear something or I want to coordinate, I would plan my outfits. I'm going to wear that jacket with these boots. What are you talking about? You do that. Come on. Women. I do it if I'm going to a wedding or something. Yeah, or out to dinner. This would look good with that dress. I know you're gay. I'm wearing sweatpants right now. Because you macrame yourself a pair of jean shorts. You know what, dude? Why? I don't know, really? I'm Rick James. I thought you were Lou Bush. Yeah, Lou Bush. But I'm feeling like, yeah. I'm in touch, man. You are. In touch. You know what brought me to wake up? My wife finally goes one day, she goes, you know what's funny?
Have so many clothes, but you wear the same stuff every day. And I finally was like, you know what I do? I'm the same way. That's bad. Well, with this gig, it's the greatest because I remember when we all first started, I was wearing literally jeans and like a V-neck sweater every day. Cowboy boots. That went out real fast. Now I'm all about the track pants. Workout shorts. I'm wearing gray Victoria's Secret pink sweatpants. I have workout boots. We all have workout clothes on. I honestly would roll out of bed. I would have my clothes on the floor. throw them on, and I would time exactly how long it took me to get here, and that would be my little, because I would never wear anything worth, it'd be a t-shirt like you have to do, and some running shorts. I'm telling you, I know how many times I can hit sleep on my alarm, and which one I have to get up, I get up at that time, it takes me the same amount of time to get ready, like five minutes, and I'm out the door. You shower the night before. I shower in the morning. I have to shower, I do.
I'll shower usually in the morning. To wake up, to wake you up? I can't wake up. I should not do that, dude. I just, no. It's just, that's time I could be sleeping. It gets cold. Yeah, time I could be sleeping. You know what the worst part is? When you hit that snooze, you're not even asleep. No. You're just laying there, you're like. I don't snooze anymore. I used to be the biggest snoozer of them all. I snooze for an hour. Oh, no way. I set my alarm an hour before I was supposed to get up. Why do you set your clock an hour before when you get a sleep? Because I love it. It's interrupted sleep. But I don't like the worst sleep. You know what's sad? It takes me an hour to wake up. Sage. It's my seven month old baby. And when she was first born, I never hit snooze because I didn't want to wake her up. Now I will wake up because she still gets up at night. I'll wake up. I'll get the phone from the charger, put it in my hand and I'll fall asleep because I know when it goes off, I'm going to hit snooze. And that way I'm ready to turn it right off. But I won't stop the snooze and I will risk waking her up, but I'll be quick about it. Wow. It's pathetic. I'm so paranoid about sleeping through something that I just get up. Me too. I'm afraid if I hit dismiss instead of snooze. There you go. I've been there. Me too. It'll get me one day. Okay, that was good. That was good. Now these top 10 first date ideas, what's that all about, Sina?
All right. Now, let me just say this is from AskMen.com. This is from Sienna.com. This is from Sienna.com. Where do you come up with these? Every time, Lou. It's TLC. It's TLC. No, anytime I do a list, they yell at me. I wonder why. I don't come up with this stuff. Okay. But. Oh, did you hear that? What was that? Did you poo? Did you poo? Don't say poo. You poo too. I said my children. Okay, now I won't do it. I'm sitting on an exercise ball and my foot scraped against it. That old story. That exercise ball is crazy. Please try to control yourself. Stop. Sienna! It was my foot screaming the wall. Was it? Yes. Okay. Okay. Let her continue. Go ahead. Let's go. Let's go. Oh, children. Okay. This is from askman.com and it's for first date ideas. Where would you guys, I'm going to ask you first before I go through the list. If you were to go on a first date, you weren't married, where would you guys take a girl? My apartment. Oh, God. Chateau of Love. Well, seriously, what would you plan out? I'm a dinner guy. I'm a dinner guy. Bowling.
Just go to dinner? No, I'm a dinner guy. I'm a nice dinner, though. Like, I'm a Donovan's Pample Moose guy. What kind of... Okay, like, what kind of... I would. You know, it depended on the girl, the woman. It just depended on how she... What kind of relationship would I... Do you remember where you took your wife on your first date? Oh, no. We were at dinner. We were at dinner, and I was actually... I was at a golf tournament, and she came down for the golf tournament. She liked you. Yeah, it was... Yeah. She... She did not talk to me, literally. She blew me off for like a week and a half. Did you guys French? No. You didn't? No. Her friend was there and ran interference and it drove me crazy. I told her we'd never leave and I was like, hey, come here. You can never come to my house ever again. Don't ever come back. Oh my gosh. She's a mother hen. Yeah, you know. Jay? Somebody here. Where would you take a girl on first date? Probably on like the beach or someplace. Oh boy. Something free. You go to yoga. No, we go out to eat and then go to the beach. Where would you go to eat? Gosh, I'd go to... Wendy. Something simple. A wiener schnitzel. Something simple. I don't know. A grass field. Woody's. Let's see. A lemon grove. La Speciale Norte. It's a good Mexican food place. Jay, why are you so serious in there? You're so serious today. He's rubbing his hands. Why don't you have fun? He's like, I have a lot going on in here today. I know. Mike's gone. He's on vacation and Lou Bush is in here filling in. He's carrying it.
I would prefer the laid back restaurant for the first date. I would get too nervous if the first date was like a big fancy place. Well, that's why I said, I mean, it just depends on the kind of how we met. There are certain factors, I think, play into that. Todd and I went to Little Italy the first time. And it was, I loved it because you could like walk down the street. But he was in love when he met you. That's a great call. That was a great call. Okay, well, the suggestions that they give. They give AskRed.com. Sienna's suggestions. These are Sienna's suggestions. They say that a good first date allows for conversation, but at the same time, take some of the focus off you so that you're not under pressure to talk incessantly. Now, they say bowling. Bowling is a good day. It's kind of old school. That's what I said. It's fun. It's jokes. Sweat. You know, sweat boys. Yeah, you do. But see, I'm a competitive. I see. If she was good, I would be annoyed. Yeah, me too. Yeah. Uh-huh. Okay, maybe bowling. She would throw some gutter balls on purpose to be like, oops, can you show me how? Yeah. By she, I mean me. Jay and Lauren are going to be all in on this one. A good first date would be hiking. Oh, yeah. Sweating. Put on your riding shoes. We're going hiking. If I met her at the gym, on the treadmill, maybe.
Maybe. That would never even think about it. If you knew of a good hike with a good view, you would impress her. Then you have sweaty butts. You don't need to be touching butts the first date anyway. If I'm taking a girl out on the first date, I'm trying to close the deal. I'm trying. I'm trying. On the first date? I'm going to try. You're saying if she says yes, you're going to be like, no. I can't do it. No, no. I'm knocking it out of the park if that's the case. No. What? Jay. But I'm not going to intentionally try. Yes, you are. Jay. No, you're not. Not if you really like the girl. No, I mean, if I meet her at a bar, probably. Yes, exactly. But if I'm trying to set something up, like a love connection. There's girls you take home. There's girls you take home to mom. That's right. I just came up with that right now. You're trying to close the deal. You're a guy. You're trying to close the deal. You're hoping that you do. I'm sorry. I'm trying to close the deal. I mean, don't you do like a little bit of extra preparation when you're getting ready? That's why I'm not going hiking. Exactly. I mean, my blood's going to chafe. My boys are going to be all raw. Why don't you go on a hike, go home and shower and then meet up for dinner after that? No.
Girls want to have the makeup on, maybe look fresh. The exercise does something for you. Exercise is in your own time. It's about trying to get you in fact. Can you help me? I need help. I'll hold my hand. Maybe push my little tush up the mountain. Bust out some food out of your backpack at the top. Maybe a little wine or something. Edamame. Jay, you are so cheesy. No, dude. Trust me. Hiking? No, a lot of people would love that. It's a terrible list, yeah. Lauren would love it. Sienna, come on. Oh, God. This list is terrible. Should we finish? We should finish the list. Okay. At least. We should take a break, so we'll come back. Take a break. We'll finish the list. Yeah. Don't get so mad at Sienna. She put a lot of time into this list. No, I didn't. It's a two-car crash, and it was a rear-end collision. The 805 northbound between Balboa Avenue and the 52, it's slow in the upper 20s, and it's really slow here in Escondido on the 15 southbound between the 78 and Center City Parkway in the teens. This report brought to you by the California Highway Patrol. Hey, if you're driving, texting, checking your Facebook, or returning emails, and they catch you, you're going to get a ticket if you don't kill yourself first.
worth it a message from the california highway patrol i'm stacy cohen fm 94.9 it's time for the fm 94.9 authentic surf report good morning to you this is bird from bird surf shed with the fm 94.9 authentic surf report for a thursday morning being brought to you by joe roper surfboard repair today we have an increase in swell so southwest swell has picked up quite a bit uh since yesterday not giant but definitely more noticeable in that chest shoulder high zone with some larger sets of standout spots Unfortunately, under cloudy skies, we've got some soft westerly winds. So even those areas that are usually more protected from that direction are still feeling a bite from those winds this morning. Combine that with a low tide, and most spots are pretty trained out and textured, and they're not looking all that good right now. As the tide fills in, though, we could see some improvement. Again, those areas most protected from those southerly winds. Looks like more bad weather on the way as well, too. So this time of the year, got to take it as it comes. For up-to-the-minute surf reports, forecasts, go to surfline.com. And for surfboard restoration and repair needs, you go see Joe Roper. Of course, the surf report can only be heard three times daily, right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I mean, listen, I'm a conservative.
I'm a Republican. Zienna. I knew I loved Todd when he imitated a fireman. Woods. I bathed myself in ranch. Lauren. I hate talking on the phone. And Jay. Look, I like to climb and I like to eat edamame, okay? On FM 94.9. Love that song, man. I don't listen to this. Yes, you do. As Jay, the man I'd love to punch in the ribs. Why? He is, I don't know. The hiking fit. Come on, man. He's cruising for a bruising. He's going to have a flashback fourth and one or something. Just rack him on this beanbag in here. Wow. Let's do it. Jay said that he's all on board with going hiking for a first date. Of course he is. It's free. I'd like to know some opinions on that. It's free. Let's go hiking. Huh?
Why can't you be an athlete and not want to hike? Because I did enough run. I'm never running again. He plays real sports. He's not trying to be the best at exercising. You know why? Honestly, can I say this? He's not trying to be the best at it. I enjoy it. I got paid to. You got paid to? Yeah. I'm joking. I mean, yeah. I like to be active. It makes me feel good. I agree. I ride a bike. It's nice. Oh, hiking, I would be on board with. What about a bike ride? Oh, I'd go on a bike ride with you. Just on a first date, you're sweaty and like... Jay, did you say something? I said I'd go on a bike ride with you. Let's go. What? Shay, what? Did you say something? I'll take you mountain biking. Let's go. You can go with him. I wouldn't try to go with him. Why would I do... That's just... There's a lot of bromances in here, you know? Yes, there are. Two guys... They're bikes. Oh, see? Is that weird for two guys to ride a bike? Yes! I go riding with my buddies all like, you're out of your mind. What if they were on the beach? No. What if they're riding on the beach versus next to each other? I'm talking mountain bike trails. That doesn't bother me, two bikes, two guys on a bike. They're not like kissing over a piece of spaghetti in between them. Okay, if you're walking down the beach, you and your guy, and you see two guys riding side by side on bikes. Just visiting. Just talking like, hey, yeah. They're probably buddies. Maybe their lives are shopping. Wood, what would you think? I would say absolutely I'm not riding on the boardwalk with some other dude. No. On the boardwalk is different. If you're just like.
I'd ride behind you. Yeah, fine. Not side-by-side. Side-by-side? No. Okay, side-by-side. I see what you're saying. If there's a big open space, though, like the beach, if the beach is low tide and you got two guys side-by-side yucking it up, it's fine. Yeah, it's fun. Yeah, I would expect that. No. You guys. I'm just comfortable in my hand. I don't know. I just, I don't know. We do have a caller. Caller number? Caller number... Nine. What is that nine? The word of the day. Is this the word of the day? Yeah. He's a big winner. Big winner? Or she's a big winner. She's a big winner. M1 Allison? Hi. Hi, how are you? What's the word of the day? Ribs. Yeah. Good job there. Thanks, Sienna. Yeah. What? No, no, it's just ribs. Oh, yeah. Congratulations. Because I made that one. Please hang on the line. Did you just put her on hold? Yep. Yeah, put her on hold. Bear with us. All right. This is Lou Bush, the man in charge. I'm hitting hold. I am the godfather. Yes. Okay, got her. Lou played on the Chargers. He's owned a very amazing restaurant. Yeah, a couple restaurants in San Diego. And Mikey is on vacation right now. Vacation taking over. Yeah, so Lou's going to be in here for today and tomorrow. So please bear with us. Bear with me. Mikey's off to Tommy Bahama land. Yes, he is. Yes, he is. So we were going over this list.
The list. Sienna's list. Sienna's list. That she made up. It's from AskMan.com. You invented the list. We wrote it last night. And it's first date ideas. We were already talking about bowling, hiking. What do you guys think about this one? Aquarium. I like it. I would go there before hiking. I was not sure what you guys were going to say. I like it. On a Saturday or Sunday maybe? Oh, it'd be cool. What? Yeah, aquarium. No. Yeah, it's cool. No way. No SeaWorld? Why do you hate fish? SeaWorld's different than an aquarium. Just an aquarium walking through, like... Oh, that's an interesting species. Like...
What are you going to say to each other? It's like a hike, but with fish. That's cool. The Stephen Birch Aquarium is awesome. I love the aquarium, but for a first date. I think it's rad. Hiking up to a great view. What's the difference? Because you can be talking about other stuff. If you're looking at the fish, you have to be commenting. No, you don't. What kind of hikes are you guys going on? Maybe you need to get Jake. Why are you breathing? Smoking Marlboros. Smoking Marlboros. That'll do it. to get in shape. Do you smoke? No. I smoke a cigar occasionally. No. Occasional cigar. Another first date idea. The theater. Get. Can't talk. No. I'm out. This is a TLC. This is you. Why do you love the theater? Santa, come clean. This list is terrible. You guys see this to me every time I do. This list is terrible. Okay, alright. What about this one? This sounds like a guy thing. The driving range. Oh, that's... Weak, dude. I would never do that. I go to the gun range. I think it's fun. He can be like, here, now align your hips. Now let me just come behind you. There's a movie called I Love You, Man. I Love You, Man. And he says, he goes, I don't play golf with women.
He goes, it's my nightmare. She hits him with the ball and hits him right in the shin. And he goes, this is my nightmare. This is my nightmare. Golf is for you and your buddies or she and her girlfriends. It's the driving range. It's not 18 holes. I went to the driving range and did like one swing in front of Woods and Mike. I missed the ball. It was horrific. You almost fell down. I know. It's fun. You have to film these things. Oh, we did. Oh, my gosh. He tried to get into golf last year. How long did that last? We shot a round with him. It was the worst round. It was hideous. I think men play golf to get away from them. Yeah, absolutely. You know what's really funny, you guys? I don't even know if I told you all this. What? I had a tournament with Jay. I went and played in a tournament, and Mikey got these ridiculous golf clubs. And I mean ridiculous, these title lists. Weird. Yeah, I know. And I go, hey, dude, can I swing those? Will you let me swing them? And he's like, yeah, yeah, sure. So I go over and pick them up, take them out to the course, love them. I mean, they're the best of the best. You hit it. Everything is just crisp. It's perfect. And I'm like, gosh, darn, these are great clubs. About a week ago, he's like, hey, dude, can I get my golf clubs back? I'm like, I go, for what? And he goes, well, you're not going to keep them. I'm like, do you need them? And he's like, I want my clubs back. I'm like, OK, pal, I'll give you your clubs back. So I brought them. I gave him his clubs back. Well, you should give them back. I know. But what was funny was like, hey, man.
Like he was going to use them tomorrow. A year later. A year. Wow. Another first date idea from AskMan.com. An art gallery. From Sienna.com. Git. Yeah, Git with the art gallery. A local music show. That's cool. I like that. Not a lot of conversation. But how old are these people? Let's say 25. Let's say 25. You're thinking if it's a first date, you're assuming it's people that haven't been married yet. Well, yeah, but... They're obviously young. This isn't a list for people getting back in. It could be. It's just a first date. It doesn't say age. It could be 60. Yeah. No. That's a great view. Just a couple more. Another thing you can do for a first date, they say you can play tourist. Go show them around the hometowns and all the cool things in the car. Get on Segways. Take pictures of your food. Okay. And the last one I'm going to give you guys, ice skating. Yes. I've done it. I love roller skating. Yeah. Either or. Would it be the same? Yeah. Ice skating was my go-to bit in high school. Oh, my dude. Ice skating, roller skating, bowling, and the driving range all fall into that thing where, like, someone's not going to know how to do it, so you're going to laugh about it. It's going to be fun. But if you're the guy that can't do it, we've talked about this before, if you're the guy that cannot do it and she's good, you're like, well, normally it's a girl. In her mind, though, she's like, oh, I'm dating a big P word. He's a big P. Could be, absolutely. Big B.
Big P. If I was a better golfer than you. So you ready to, Jay? Are we ready for this, Jay? There's a jingle. There's a jingle? Jay, the old man, huh? The old man that does acting. What is the scene today? I'm going to let the jingle play and then I'm going to tell you. Yeah, you need the jingle. The jingle, please. Jay's the old man who does acting. He's the old man with the poetry. He's so good he's on the money. An actor with ability. He blinded me with acting. Yeah. But he failed to pronounce clearly. Get some. Have you ever heard this before, Lil? No, I haven't. Well, Jay has a tendency of flubbing words from time to time. No, it's not true. We all do, but Jay does it a little more often. And so we give him a script of a well-known movie. and he needs to be a character and read the script. Now, what are we doing today, Woods? He just puts him in his leg. All right, so I got to tell you. Turn that off. There we go. Look at Lou over there pressing buttons. Running that board. When we started this game, Jay was picking his own scenes, and he was coming in, and he was all prepared. That's not true. It's absolutely true.
I volunteered to be the guy that picked the scenes. Thank you. So last night, Sienna's husband, Todd, picked the scene last week, which was brilliant. Good Will Hunting, Jay, completely botched it. That's not true. I thought it was fantastic. I was laying in bed last night looking for scripts. I must have looked at 15 to 20 scripts. I'm not kidding. Now, the movies I went to, I knew the movies. Now, what I found were rough drafts of the first script. So it was all wrong. So I had to find one that was very accurate. So I went with The Return. Of the Jedi. Now. Have you ever seen it Jay? Yes. There's two people in this scene. The old wise sage. Sage. Ben Kenobi. Oh. And the young wild bronco Luke Skywalker. I of course will be the young wild bronco. You will be the old crusty Obi-Wan Kenobi.
And so, and Lauren will be our narrator. You guys sit back and laugh and enjoy. Here comes Obi-Wan. To be a Jedi, Luke, you must confront and then go beyond the dark side. Hey, it was a pregnant pause. The side your father couldn't pass. Impatience is the easiest door for you, like your father. Only your father was seduced by what he found on the other side of the door, and you have held firm. You're no longer so restless. Or reckless. Reckless. Now, Luke, you're strong and patient. And now you must face Darth Vader again. I can't kill my own father. The Emperor has already won. You were our only hope. Yoda spoke of another. The other he spoke of is your twin sister. But I have no sister. To protect you both from the Emperor. To protect you both from the emperor. You were hidden from your father when you were born. The emperor knew, as I did. If Anakin were there to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him. That is the reason why your sister remains safely anonymous. Leia? Leia's my sister. Your insight serves you well. Bury your feelings deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they have made you...
But they could have made you serve the emperor. Luke looks into the distance, trying to comprehend all this. When your father left, he didn't know your mother was pregnant. Your mother and I knew he would find out eventually. But we wanted to keep you both as safe as possible for as long as possible. So I took you to live with your brother, Owen, at Tauni. Or Tatooine. Okay, close enough. And your mother took Leah to live. Leah. Leah as the daughter of Senator... Organa. Organa. Thank you. And Alderaan. Luke turns and settles near Ben to hear the tale. Good Lord. Could there be more? Okay. Pause. You're in a boardroom. George Lucas is there. You're reading for the part of the crusty Obi-Wan. Impressive. I would have had the script in advance. Impressive. Impressive. Cold read. You got this. Suck it up, man. Okay.
The Oregon household was high-born and politically quite powerful in that system. Leia became a princess by virtue of the lineage. Lineage. Lineage. No one knew she would be adopted, of course, but it was a title without real power since Alderaan had long been a democracy. Even so, the family continued to be politically powered and Leia... Powerful. Powerful. Following in her foster father's path, became a senator as well. That's not all she became, of course. She became the leader of her cell in the alliance against the corrupt empire. And because she has diplomatic immunity, she was a vital link for getting information to the rebel cause. That's what she was doing when her path crossed yours for her foster parents. I've always told her to contact me on Tatooey if her trouble became desperate. Luke is overwhelmed by the truth and is suddenly protective of his sister. But you can't let her get involved now, Ben. Vader will destroy her. She has been trained in the ways of the Jedi. She hasn't been trained in the ways of the Jedi. The way you have, Luke. But the Force is strong with her and as with all of your family. There is no avoiding the battle. You must face and destroy Vader. Bravo. Bravo. He's acting. He's the old man with the poetry. Yeah!
He's so good he's on the money. My, my, my. An actor with ability. Incredible. He blinded me with acting. This is incredible. It's called a dictionary, maybe. I'm joking. It was good. Well done. He gets real flustered. He did. Public speaking, maybe? That whole time he was reading, he had his legs crossed and his thighs were like pushed tight. I was waiting for the shirt to be loose. When Jay gets nervous, he shuffles his shirt. It's great. T-shirt, shuffle, shuffle. That is Groot. Isn't that dynamite? Are you ready to tell us some stories about Charger days? Dude, we can talk all day about these stories. We want to hear a Lou Bush story. Let me see. I'm going to settle in. Love Bush stories. Let's see. Oh, boy. Gather around the children. No, I'm joking. Let's see. What about Ryan Leaf? I know he's been thrown on the bus quite a bit. Yeah. For good reason. A lot of the time.
This is one time. For those of you that don't know who Ryan Leaf is, he was the second player picked behind Peyton Manning, right? The Chargers' first draft pick. Which we traded up to draft him. Have the rights to draft him. Who else was available in that draft? Do you remember? Who else could the Chargers could have had? I can look. Check that out. That's a good question. That's the fascinating part, too, is that they took this guy. But at the same time, when you base what he did in his college career. At your alma mater. Yeah, at my alma mater. And that was why I'm telling you a story. I don't know if everybody knows. When you're drafted and you go to a team, pretty much whoever played from your school is kind of responsible for you, so to speak. They've got to show you the ropes. Because you go to that guy. Hey, you went to Washington State. I didn't know that. Yeah, some little tidbit. He comes down, first pick. We started the season. We started out gangbusters. How long have you been in the league at that point? I was in about six years. Okay. You're a veteran. Yeah, I was a veteran guy. It started out rough from the jump. He came in and, you know, a first-round guy is responsible. This is unwritten law. You have to pay for everything. Wow. Okay? Yeah, that's the rule. I mean, it's just the rule. Everybody does it. Okay. I'll tell you my little story once.
We go out to dinner, usually after the guy signs. We will go during training camp. Hey, we're going to meet you at Chapangos at the time. It used to be our spot. We'll meet you there and bring your credit card. And he literally was like, why? And I'm like, Ryan, come here, man. Let me talk to you. Let me tell you. Let me show you the ropes. Hey, look, dude. Everybody goes through this. Just go there. We'll hit you hard one night. And that'll be pretty much probably the end of it. And you'll be done. He refused. Oh, you are kidding. And I'm literally going, Ryan, you're not, you're not listening. Okay. No, this is, I'm like, no, I'm just like, dude, no, you're a first rounder. No, you have no, there's no, you have no choice. You're the number two pick in the draft. You're the bonus baby. We know how much he'd got like $15 million to sign. I mean, come on. Jeez. So he still, this is like on a Monday. We're telling him we're going to do this Friday. And he's like, oh, I'm not, oh, that's bull. I'm not going to. Well. Between Monday, where we used to have to walk to go to training for meals, there was a big field. And every morning about 630, those sprinklers would go off. And there was a big light post, right, before you walked over the bridge to go to eat. Well, we taped a couple of guys to that post. So the next day, of course, he's walking in. They see, you know, rookies are seeing these guys taped up. And I'm like, Ryan, unless you want that to be you, you know how embarrassing that would be? So finally, I was like, oh, all right, then. Well, Junior was like, no, you know what?
Don't even worry about going. We'll just bring you the receipt and you'll pay us later. Wow. So we go. So you disinvited him. He made it even worse. I mean, for himself, because we went and just racked him. I'm talking about we're buying bottles. How many guys? Probably 20. Holy cow. I don't know what the final tally was, but it was over 10 grand easily. Oh, my. Because we were buying bottles. We were like, give us that. Go get us a bottle. Lobster. We just cleaned him out. Ten grand one night. Yeah. Well, the season starts. You know, we kind of go on. We start out pretty good. He just tanks. We go to Kansas City. Just gets killed. Okay. So, it's going south at this point. Okay. And he got hurt. He got dinged up. You know, whether his motions or whatever, he got dinged up. So, he's injured. So he's not playing and, you know, we're still playing or whatever. We're getting ready to Kansas City for the second time. And what he was doing was he was going into the training room saying he was getting treatment. And then he would go into the weight room and say, hey, I got to go to the training room. So we would have to lift. Yeah. Well, Bobby Beathard, who was our general manager at the time, comes down and he catches wind of this. And I'm sitting in the training room. I've never seen anything like this in my life. I'm sitting in the training room and Bobby's like, hey, Ryan, you know, why don't you go in there and get your workout in? You know, he's pissed. You can hear he was irritated. Yeah.
And Ryan starts to walk away and he grabs the door to open to the weight room. He stops and he looks back and he goes, you know what? Who do you think you're talking to? You old S.O. I was like, oh, I have never to this day seen somebody talk to. somebody in personnel like that. Completely lost his mind. He ended up getting suspended for this. Four gains for conduct detrimental. And, you know, but he, I honestly believe, you know, he had, there was something, the pressure destroyed him. He killed him in his own way. He did not have, yeah, he was his own enemy. He got in his own way. It was so unfortunate. So his work ethic was not great. Was he a film guy? Was he watching a lot of film? Was he really trying to learn about the opponents? I think he came into the league thinking that it was going to be easier than it actually was. Right. Because it was easy for him in college. He was a Heisman finalist. Big fish. Yeah, big fish. You're just another guy. Hey, man, I'm just telling you, it's not as easy as you think. Good story. We'll continue that. You know, yesterday we were all talking about the seven-year-old kid that got pepper sprayed. Oh, my gosh. By a cop for threatening his teacher.
With a piece of wood. Did anybody find out how big the wood was? No, we were looking at all this video. We couldn't find out. I mean, he's seven. Well, anyway, he was on Good Morning America yesterday. So we'll play that for you when we get back. And we have the Panty Ho Challenge. And of course, Jay's doing that. Of course. We'll be right back, peeps. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. This is the FM 94.9 Bud Light Car. on your calendar. Hey, it's Hillary with some shows for you to go check out. Actually, I'm cutting that right now, and that's Ovation. What's that, like some kind of drink? No, it's for your hair, actually. Like a drink for your hair? Um, I guess you could call it that, but not exactly. You apply it kind of like a cream rinse. You've got the color therapy shampoo, you have the cell therapy, and then you have a cream rinse that you put on after that. And it's going to help you grow your hair. Oh, grow? I could grow some more hair. But yeah, my hair has grown back thicker, stronger, longer. That's... I'm really happy with Ovation. You have to go to OvationHair.com and put in FM949 to get that special introductory rate. Stop what you're doing, because I'm about to ruin the image and the style that you used to. I look funny. What would you do when this was out? Being born. Being born? I was born in 85. Oh.
I just told it myself. Oh, my goodness. That's the beat. I still know it, though, and love it. Jay, that's the greatest. Thanks, Jay. Get it, Jay. Hit it, Jay. Cut it wrong. I can't do it right now. Too much pressure. Why do you go like this? Do it now. My name is Humpty. I like my oatmeal lumpy. I'm sick with this. Isolate. Again, so we get a clean cut. Oh, my gosh. Yesterday, Mike, you said that we wouldn't use that clip. Yeah. Maybe we'll do it tomorrow. Yeah, we'll just do it tomorrow. Try it one more time. My name is Humpty. I like my oatmeal lumpy. I'm sick with this. I wish you guys could see his face. He's all, he's like, you gotta get into that. Cena, what's going on in the news? Well, would you like to know what the most peaceful states are? I would be interested in that. This is a big poll right now, and how they tested this was just, you know. I know how they tested it. How?
You would think. No, but it's just based on the levels of violence, you know, murder rates, percentage of population behind bars. Marijuana. Smokers. But the most peaceful states, I'll give you the top five, North Dakota, Minnesota, Vermont, New Hampshire, and numero uno, Maine. What? Where? Maine. Oh, yeah, a lot of weed up in Maine. They're growing into the sticks. And I lost my other sheet. Right here? No. Peaceful, huh? Oh, here we go. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Also, yesterday, Gaddafi asked Obama in a letter to end Libyan airstrikes. Now, Muammar Gaddafi appealed to Obama in this letter that he got yesterday. Apparently, he quotes an unjust war. And according to the Associated Press, the letter read, quote, you are a man who has enough courage to enol a wrong and mistaken action. I am sure that you are able to shoulder the responsibility for that. And Hillary Clinton has spoken out and said, I don't think there's any mystery about what is expected from Mr. Qaddafi at this time. Oh, wow. Hello, Barack. Maybe what a few bombs will do, huh? Barack, you need to stop bombing. The country can't get any sleep and people are running in the street.
And my 7-Eleven that I like is closed now. I can't do anything. It's all your fault. It is not my fault. It's my people. It's my people. Stop bombing me. But you're wronging your people. I did not wrong anybody. I murder and kill for sport. It's sport in my country. That's sick. Not sick. Woodsy Sports, what do you have? Well, there's a bunch, man. This weekend is going to be a blast out of Petco Park because the rival Dodgers are coming to town. Sienna's husband is a big Dodger fan. Big Dodger fan. He wears Dodger clothes like every day. So first game is Friday, 7.05 at Petco Park. It'll be Ted Lilly against Clayton Richard. Should be a good series, man. Sienna's going to go check it out on Sunday. Yeah, I'll be there. That'll be rad. And also, the Masters have kicked off, and we just saw Tiger Woods nut one down the fairway. Just blasted one down the fairway. So he teed off a few minutes ago. And we'll keep you updated as to who's in the lead. Some dude I never heard of is in the lead right now. I'm rooting for him, dude. I think.
I'm rooting for time. It's time. Yeah, he's paid his time. All the haters. Oh, come on. How much time does he need? Come on. Ever hold a grudge? Okay. Well, I mean. LB, he's black. Yeah, but I want to see some fresh blood in there. What? I'm not saying he had his time because he cheated. He's a talented golfer. There's plenty of people out there. Tiger had his time. I smell hate. Yeah, but there's not a lot of tigers. Exactly. It's hard to think that he had such great skill and now it's just gone. He's heartbroken. Lou has a theory. I'm rooting for the comeback. He'll come back. I'll tell you my theory. Lou's theory is pretty good. Okay, this is my thought. What? After what he went through. Not just so much even the embarrassment and all the prep. Who cares? I mean, honestly, I think, honestly, being in a fishbowl, it bothers you some. But at the end of the day, you can always go. You guys know what I'm doing. Give him the finger. Whatever. But having to write that check to that, although it's his fault, I do not question that whatsoever, but to write a $750 million check, you go get your game together.
Yeah. Try that. Let me know how long. Let me see how long it take you to come back. Yeah. I mean, that hurt. That would hurt. Half. Every morning you wake up like, oh my. But even half the guy's living large. Absolutely. But man, that's the most expensive piece he's ever had. Yeah, I would have drowned myself in some old granddad. I would have been sitting there. That's hard. That's hard. I bet he's just holding back. I never saw her pick up a golf club. I mean, I'm just joking. Well, I think you reap what you sow. I agree. It was a foolish move on this part. He needs to get back to... The Perkins girl got me... The Perkins girl. The Perkins hostess. You took her back to the house. You bring trash to you, trash will come back to you. You lay down with dogs, you come away with fleas. That's a great one. Pia! He needs to get, you know, if he wants to get back to his game, he needs to go back to being the self-confident, egotistical guy that he was. He needs to get butt naked, go to strip club. Listen, I'm just, I'm joking. It's true. It's true. But whatever, don't, I'm telling you, he's thinking it right now at some point. He's going, you know what? He's like, I got to get on Craigslist.
getting back to his Buddhist beliefs. He wants to be a good person, not just a good golfer. Do you think, I agree, I believe it to an extent, but he's so good at telling you what you want to hear, though. You can't be a good person and slay? You can. Yes, you can. Just don't do it while you're married. I bet his area doesn't work anymore. Oh, wow. It's mental. He's got a mental golf game and a mental bedroom. Well, he's working with a swing coach. Maybe you can work with a peace coach. Yeah, there you go. I guarantee you. Hello, baby. I mean, as long as I get a freebie from Matt, then, you know. Oh, wow. It's her boyfriend, Matt. I don't think Tiger's not your style. Would that be the one? Tiger? Would that be your one? No. Who's your one? Oh, there's so many more. Deshaun Jackson. So many people on the list before him. Blue Bush. Sweet. Stop it. He's a married man. The rapper that was here last week. Oh, babe. You had a rapper in last week? Oh, babe. An emcee. Stop it. He's just a local guy. Also a married man. No. What? He's what? He's a married man. What? Really? Yeah. That wouldn't matter? I don't dabble in the married pool. What?
You're having a lot of fun with it. Gigantic. I love that. I do. Okay. Okay. Okay. You want to talk about the second grader? Yes. Has anyone seen the size of the stick? Nope. Okay. The size of the stick. I mean, he held. Sorry. Okay. If you haven't heard this story, this is out of Colorado. There was a second grader that was in a, he was in a behavioral, you know, a class with, for children that had some behavioral issues. Now, he apparently. threatened his teachers and some other students in his class with a sharp wooden object. He held it like it was a knife. The police were called and they pepper sprayed the seven-year-old second grader in Colorado. Obviously, his mother is very upset by this and is like, really, are you going to pepper spray a seven-year-old? Which, you know, you may be wondering the same thing. But the police are defending what they did and saying, you know, he was... He was being attacked. He was threatening us. And who knows what he would have done. And so he was actually on Good Morning America yesterday. Well, why did you get so mad that morning? You said a lot of really awful things to your teachers and to the police. What made you so mad? It was really the teachers because I just got really upset at them. Wow. Did you mean it, though, when you said that you wanted to kill them? A little.
And when you took a piece of this board from the wall, did you have any intention of using that as a weapon? Um, kind of. He took a piece of board from the wall. So it was, what, a ruler probably, maybe one of those? No, he probably took it, like, if the wall was made out of wood paneling and he found a crack. He ripped the panel off the wall. We're speculating. She said you picked a piece of wood from the wall. You ever exploit a kid on Good Morning America? Yeah. Good God. Come on, man. That's probably his mom. That's his mom. He needs to tell his side of the story. He needs to tell his side of the story. This is his mother speaking. Hello, Aiden's mother. Hello. Why are you on Good Morning America? I'm on pills. What? Oh, I'm also on Good Morning America. Have you ever heard of 15 Minutes of Fame? Is that some sort of barbiturate? If so, sign me up. It's a sad story. It's pathetic. I'd like to think a police force would be able to control a seven-year-old, but Jay made the point that if they went after the kid and then the kid got hurt, then the cops are in more trouble. Jay hates that kid. He has a t-shirt with that kid's face on it with a red line through it. What I hate is what the mom's letting that kid do. I blame his mother. My dad would have...
I wouldn't have even considered. There's no way. First of all, if I was in that class, I'm done as it is. I'm done. If I was in that class for my behavior, oh, dude. Oh, you're already dead. Oh, I'm dead. And then my mom and dad would not let me go on Good Morning America or whatever it is the next day. What? The next day, I would not be able to walk. No. No. It was different, man. Jay and I both went to school in Texas, and we used to get paddled in school. And I'll tell you what. It stopped me from doing a lot of stuff that I wanted to do or thought about doing because I knew I'd have to go get licks. And then I'd have to go home and get in trouble. So, yeah, I got licks. What was that old saying? It takes a nation. It takes a village to raise. That's so true. I mean, I didn't do anything in my neighborhood, literally, because the woman across the street used to sit out. She was always on her porch. Watching. And would tell my parents. I saw him. He was throwing rocks. He's like, you got a tail? Go in the house. What is wrong with you? But she would tell everything. But, you know, no one cares like they used to. People are so concerned. They're worried about their own little world. It's not my business. Yes, it is. I know. I'm torn with that, too, because, you know, I don't necessarily like the watchdogs either. You know what I mean? You know, I don't like the watchdog, but.
It does take a lot of people to be concerned about kids. And it's just, you know, it's a weird, it's a weird place we're in. Like I just moved and I finally met, I met a neighbor after two days in my house and he's rad. Surfer, very cool. The, my previous neighbors, two people on either side, never met him for a year. I lived there. Did not even shake their hand. Hey, how you doing? I'm your neighbor. Nothing. I've been in my place for a year and I don't know my neighbors. That's crazy. That scares me. I just, I want to know. If somebody's sniffing around, I want to know. Two nights ago, I was upstairs in the bathroom. I'm looking out the window, and there's a truck parked on the side of the road, kind of right in front of our house with his little running lights on, headlights off. Nighttime? Yeah, nighttime. It's like 10 o'clock. I'm like, what is this guy? I don't think about it. I looked again like 30 minutes later, and he's still sitting there. I'm like, what is this? I go outside, stand by the car. Look over. I would be terrified. I walk out and I'm like, dude, can I help you? And he's like, no, man, I'm waiting for somebody. And I was like, why are you in front of my house then? And he's like, oh, okay. And then he drove off. That's weird to me. He was there for half an hour? He was there longer than that. I just noticed him at that point. Maybe he was waiting for your 16-year-old daughter to sneak out. Maybe he's treating himself. Oh, Jay. That's disgusting.
I cannot imagine. I'm going to catch a case. You will catch a case. I'm going to catch a case. You will. I would put my hands. I got a funny story. This is funny. Yeah. Our house got teepeed. Okay. My daughter's friends come over. And this is how stupid kids are. He put it on Facebook. Oh, my God. So I literally come home. So stupid. I get up early, you know, to go out of case. I walk out the door and I'm like. Are you kidding? You don't TP a former Super Bowl player. I know. Like a linebacker. Absolutely. You don't TP a big black guy. No. So I'm like, you better, you guys clean that up. And I want to know who. And she's like, dad, it's just, it's just, they're just teenage jokes and pranks. And I went, let me tell you something. I said, we'll talk when I get home. So I thought about it and I thought about it and I waited and I waited and I got home and I said, this is what I want you to do. I want you to have that kid. Tell him exactly what I tell you, and he will never do this again. He's like, what are you going to say? I said, you tell him if I ever see him anywhere near the vicinity of my home. I'm going to go to his house, and I'm going to beat up his dad. Oh, wow. And my daughter looked at me. I know she didn't tell him, but just so she understands where dad is coming from. That kid will never come to my house. I will never see him again. Devil's advocate here.
That was a bit of an overreaction. Now, it's not like... By a bit, you mean a huge one? It's not like they threw eggs at your house or threw a poop bag on your house. I don't care. Yeah. It's just the point. It's disrespectful. I'm sorry, man. Is it? Who took it down? I am. I may have gotten a little upset. We used to actually call the other parents and say, hey, our kids are coming today. You wouldn't tell your kids, though, so they don't get in trouble. You were a small town guy, weren't you? It was the right thing to do. It's not fun. One time I was house-sitting a house and the family was out of town and I was taking care of their dogs or something. Their house got teepeed the night I was there. I woke up in the morning and I was like... You have got to be kidding me. I signed up to take these dogs outside a couple times a day. And now I was teepee everywhere. And to make it worse, it had rained that night. So it's all in the trees. So you can't just pick up.
toilet paper. It's wet. It's like glued to the floor and you pick it up. Paper mache. Tiny, tiny pieces. Tiny, tiny. Did you clean it up? I cleaned it up because otherwise, if I didn't, it would have been like that for like a week until they got home. Yeah, and then that's a dead giveaway. They're out of town. Yeah. What a nightmare. That's true. Yeah, I didn't even tell them that that happened too. I should have. My dad used to set it on fire. He'd burn it up into the trees in Texas. They would just burn it up. It wouldn't burn the tree. Oh my God. Instead, if you couldn't reach, you'd light it on fire and it would go whoop and disappear. Oh. They do things different in Texas. That's not dangerous, is it? In Texas, everything's kind of wet. That's a little different. Wow. Thanks for the input. Don't feed it to him. Don't do it here. Teepeeing was fun the one time. It was fun. We should go teepee somebody's house as a show. I went teepee. As a show. We should do it. Can we do it? Please let me do it. Let's get your daughter's friends. Let's get a van. Oh, yeah, this is the old Mikey Show. Go teepee his house. That's what we should do. Let's do it. I want to get that kid. I will do it. I want to get that kid. Wes has a really good arm. I do have a good arm. I know. Semi-pro. We're in the fraternity. I'm over here. You're pro. I'm semi-pro. We went teeping for my friend. She had a sleepover one time. And so we're like, oh, let's go. We were in Scripps Ranch. And we had to have her mom drive us because we were going to this kid's house that was far. And the mom was so strict. And it was only, she only agreed to it because it was her daughter's birthday. She was a principal of a school, like the strictest mom. And then like halfway through the teeping, she was like, you know, this does look kind of fun. And so she got up. She was like, give me a roll. And we're all looking at her like so excited. Like, oh my God.
She's going to do it. And she goes to throw the roll and just farts. What? Wake up the house we are TPing because we are... She got nervous. She got nervous. She got nervous. And just released. She was trying to relax. Just like the most strict of the moms I've ever seen. Never going to forget that visual. Oh, wow. It's a safety hazard. It was like that. It was like that. That's the best one. Short and sweet. Short and sweet. Power pop. No, the silent but deadly of them. The creepers when you just go. Jay knows about those. Yeah, he does. I heard about that, Jay. We have a caller. Oh, Oceanside location. M1 paparazzi. Paparazzi. All right. You guys have got to TP Mikey's house.
Oh, my God. You know he's listening. See, he's not. He's on a plane. Oh, that would be good. Come on, he's on a plane. We'll TP him, and I'll leave barbecue on the front porch. Sienna goes to throw a roll. It wasn't me. It was the mom. You know, the funny thing is, Mikey wouldn't clean it up anyway. He has people house sitting for him. Rebecca. Rebecca, I gotta go to sleep. Nita, Nita would do it. Mike, I would clean up the toilet paper. There's people house sitting, so the same thing would happen. I couldn't do it. He doesn't have any treat. Well, he does in the back. Oh no, we could just wrap the house though. You have to wrap the house, teepee a good, take some pictures, and then every once in a while when Mikey walks away to use the restroom or something, make his background picture on his computer. Oh, my gosh. We should just put a roll of toilet paper in his mailbox and write, you've been warned. And freak him out. Who did it? Who did it? Who did it? Who did it? He would be so freaked out.
Did you do that? Did you do that? We'd be like, what are you talking about? You're paranoid. Thanks, paparazzi. Thanks for the call, paparazzi. Oh, my gosh. We got another one. It's HB. HB. HB. HB. HB. Hi. Hi. My sister had a whole crew that they used to go out and do this all the time. Nice. They hit a teacher's house, and he found out who it was, and he sent them fake letters from a courthouse. Oh. My sister freaked out, called my mom, who worked for attorneys. She was home sick. Went down and found out the letter. Found out it was the old courthouse address because she knew the addresses. She went and ripped the teacher a new one. Really? Wow. The teacher was just payback. Oh, yeah. Payback's a B. Yeah, my family ended up knowing personally most of the members of the school board. Oh, my gosh. Because of that incident. That's good, though. Yeah, she went off on him. That's awesome. That's awesome. Yeah, he never... That's funny. That's a good move. We love you. That's wrong, though. It was just payback. Yeah, just payback. I mean, what would you expect them to do? You got him. He got you. I one time prank called somebody, and we got this guy. It was on a Super Bowl Sunday, and we kept getting him over and over again, and he goes...
I just want you to know, we're on mute. Just want you to know, I've already traced the call. The police are on their way over to your house. We were like, it's freaking out, like looking out the window for about an hour waiting for the police to come. We used to do, we used to do this. There was a, at the end of our street in our subdivision, there was a clubhouse that had like a racquetball court, a pool, and they had a phone in there. And that's where we used to. to go after school. My parents are like, are you going to the clubhouse? You take your racket with me and be like, yeah, we're going to go play racquetball. And we would make prank calls for seven hours. Okay. In one, Lizzie, we're going to get to you when we get back after this short break. Boy, I love that music. Yes, indeed. When we come back, I'm going to play you a quick snippet of what a 45-year-old woman sounds like outside a nightclub where she caught Charlie Sheen's Shirt in the audience. Oh, wow. Love. Winning. It's just love in the room. Winning. Tiger button. Ow, Donis. That was our chance. Let's do it. More from the Mikey Show coming up. Be a part of the show. I don't think it's that simple. 570-1949. Be on the wall, be like, yeah, girl. I'm Rick James.
Did you, um, did you, uh, what was I going to say? I completely lost. Be married. Welcome. It's a celebration. Celebration. In case you're wondering why Mikey sounds a little different today. Wow. He's on vacation for the next two days. We have covered this, Sienna. Uh-uh, we have new listeners. I think when the voice comes up, the smooth, silky sound. Well, you have a very smooth voice, but people need to know that Lou Bush is a studio former charger. Mikey has a history of not reappearing on the station that he's been on. We need to explain. Well, good thing for us is we've got Bush, so we're all happy. I thought it would be Jay that came with that one. I did. It was last break. I love Bush stories. I wasn't listening to you. We've got Bush. Lou Bush. Charger here. Holding it down the fort. Doing a great job. I love Bush. I just cannot commend you guys enough. You make this so easy. The hardest part is waking up. That would be very difficult. Once we get on the air, it goes pretty smoothly. Sometimes in the mornings, dude, it's like frenetic in here. Everybody's like freaking out, trying to get their stuff done. It gets gnarly.
We work a lot of times right up until 6 o'clock. It's interesting to get the behind the scenes. What brings this to you? Is it different than you would have expected? Different than I expected, yeah. A lot different than sports. I don't want to say it's not hard, but I can get on the internet real quick. I always wondered how it would be to come up with material and topics and to keep that energy flowing. Yeah, it's definitely the most challenging thing for me is coming up with new ideas. You can just look at Jay, though, a lot of times. That's true. He has provided us a lot of bits. Look at our boy back there. Look at the hair, dude. What's going on, man? Let's get back to these callers. Talking about toilet papering. Toilet papering, yeah. TP'd not too long ago. That's funny, though. She's got a prank for us for Big Mike. Oh, no. I can't take the credit. It was Winder's idea. Nice. What do you got? What do you got for us? He had the idea of taking those Tommy Bahamas signs that you see, you know, sale signs, and on, you know, when Mikey comes home from the airport, have him, like, lead to his house. Oh, my God. And then put one...
Put one right in his front yard. That's brilliant. How do we do it? He could not be upset. He could be upset with that. You just got to steal him in the middle of the night. Tell Winder if he's up for a mission tomorrow night that I will go with him. Or if someone makes signs and wants to do this for us. I'd rather steal him, though. Stealing is wrong. Stealing is wrong. I'll borrow them. Well, let's not say steal. We'll return them. And then, you know, as soon as he gets home, have somebody, you know, take him down real quick. Somebody actually finds his house. I want to be there. We'd have to get on camera. His face would be bright. He'd be like, oh, there's a Tommy Bahama sign. I wonder. Oh, there's another one. Oh, wow. In his front yard. And we're all just standing there with lace. Drinking out of a coconut. Yeah, that is awesome. That is good. Great call. All right. Thanks, guys. Bye. Let's take another, shall we? M1 Dave from Oceanside. Good morning. How are you guys doing? Good. What's up with this teepee prank going bad? Teepee prank. We saw this house and we were going to go for it, but our neighbor had their garage door open and they were just hanging out inside. So we figured, oh, that's not going to stop us. So we're going to split our group up into two waves. We'll hit them twice. They'll never know it. So we go up with just me and my friend. We throw the teepee and everything. We don't run away from the house. We just walk away to get away.
Second wave comes in. They start chucking all the TV at the house and everything. We've already almost made it past that neighborhood at their garage open. We're like, okay, we're on the clear, guys. All the other little kids come running up to us, just taking off running and go, that was a good house, wasn't it? I was like, what are you doing? Just looking at us and go, hey, it's the kids. And then they go, there's TV in that house. And I was like, oh, no. So we had to hide in the park and wait for all the cops to leave. Oh, no. The cops? Yeah, they ended up calling the cops on us. We had to hide. See, that's too far. I wouldn't do that. No, you don't call the cops. You just beat the crap out of somebody. Yeah. You don't even beat the crap out of them. No, I would get a water gun or something and squirt them in the face. That was a very passionate teepee story. He was very excited. He was loud. He was pumped up. Yes, we did. Cocaine's a hell of a drug. Yeah, cocaine is a hell of a drug. Cocaine's a hell of a drug. Yeah, he's funny. Let's take one more. M1 Cam from Oceanside claimed the accident. What's going on, guys? Hey, so me and my buddy were in high school right before 9-11 when all of the law enforcement websites were still public. And we, my buddy is this really good computer dude, and we accidentally hacked into the CIA mainframe. What? Yeah, he actually ended up going on and graduating from MIT and blah, blah, blah. Oh, he's brilliant.
We got busted so hardcore. There was a message that flashed on the screen saying that we were in breach of the new Computer Crimes Act. They pinpointed my house and said that they were sending a unit to my address in Oceanside. They had a timer that flashed up on my computer screen. They told me to do this in exact order. Close out my browser, unplug my, you know, T1 or my, you know, internet, shut off my computer and unplug it from the wall. Wow. So it's like the movie. And so what happened? And so, like, we didn't believe it. The timer started flashing from, like, two minutes to one. And I swear that we heard and saw a unit roll up my street. It was a really long street up at the top of a hill. And we saw them drive past the intersection with the lights flashing. Oh, my God. Did they get you? Uh, no, no. We unplugged. And I ended up, like, not using my computer for, like, a month. Oh, yeah. Easy. I wonder why. I would be the same way. I'm so terrified. Thank you for the call. That's a good call. That was great. He said unit. Unit? Yeah. Oh, boy. That's a reach. That's a reach. What is? I'm not even going to even ask. He's a child. You know what it's time for? Well, first, no. First, we have the tidbit of the woman.
Yeah, we have some audio. I was going to say, it's time for the audio. No, he wasn't. Yes, I was. He's talking about the pantyhoe challenge. Pantyhoe challenge. Yeah, we're going to do... Wood versus Jay. You're tornadic. Me? Yes. I'm not tornadic. You're tornadic. Go ahead. So there was a woman that, you know how Charlie Sheen is on tour right now and doing all these shows. Winning. Winning. Duh. And this woman was apparently standing outside of a nightclub and she had... had caught Charlie Sheen's shirt in the audience. And this is her and her reaction. I think we're in good shape, you know? Good shape. Charlie's clearly in it and his female fans are loving it. I got his on and I smell those marbles and I love the smell of that sweat. What? I have one word that's coming to mind. Hello. Trailer park. Yes. TP? Yeah, that's... Or WT. White trash. White trash. L-O-V. Scoreboard doesn't lie. It never has. I want to know, like, did he take his shirt off? Yeah, probably threw it out in the crowd. I bet it was maybe his jersey. It was probably the jersey. Yeah, but it was the Wild Thing jersey. He probably had his t-shirt on. He had a little white beard underneath him. That would make more sense. I'm going to hang out with these two smoking hotties. Marlboro's in sweat. That is... Some stank. That's some funk. Yeah, so Jay came up with a new game this morning, and we're going to give it a try. You must explain and describe this show, please.
Okay, you take two pair of pantyhose. Let me say it. Two pair of pantyhose, and you tie them together. And then you each put one of the pantyhose over your head, and then you tug-of-war apart. Like a burglar. Yeah, like a burglar. Or like a rapist. What? Whoa, what? So Woods is going to put one set of the pantyhose over his head. I'm going to put the other set over my head. Now, you got husky size, right? For your head. Yes. And then we're going to do a tug-of-war with our heads and pull apart the pantyhose. I'm in. Let's do this. You guys are going to break your neck. Oh, my gosh. That sounds like a winner. It sounds like a very sore neck. Those have a hole in it. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, he ripped a hole in it. So tug of war with pantyhose. These are the brand new ones I just said together. So tug of war with pantyhose. Two pairs of pantyhose tied together at the feet. Now, the waist is going over each of their heads, and they're going in opposite directions. Well, Jay might hurt him. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. You guys are so scary. Jay works out. I mean. I feel like they're going to hurt their neck. I do, too. I do, too. I'm getting out of here. The key of it is to hold this down. You guys look like birds. Oh, my God. Who's going to judge? There you go. Don't run. I won't run. Just everyone's a winner in this game, I think. Are we ready? Careful, Sienna. Ready? One, two, three. Go. It's going to break. What is he winning? What is he winning? I'm telling you. Wow. We have a winner.
He's too strong. But Jay was winning. Jay was your scrimp. Their noses were completely flat. What does the matter with you? He likes wearing that stocking cap. What a creep. You got one on your head too, dude. Pictures and video will be up in a minute. That was very fast. Tell me about the experience. It hurt my nose a little bit. Your nose was completely flat. It hurt a little bit. You get used to it. But it forced you to smile because you were going... It did hurt a little bit. But it was hysterical. That video should be funny. I wanted it to snap and someone to get hurt. Or like snap and run into the door. Yes, I really did. Oh, wow. That's bad. Why didn't we always wish for people to fall? It's the only thing that makes me laugh out loud. And I hate... My grandmother fell when I was little. Oh, my God. Come on, let's be real. You can't laugh at grandmas. I laugh my, oh, my goodness. I got beat so bad, but it was so funny. Lou, dear, this is your grandmother. How dare you laugh at me.
Grandma, it was just you slipped and you tried to catch yourself. That's what did it. I broke my hip. That was not very funny. You didn't think the hip thing was funny, but you fell. It was hilarious. I had to pee into a bag for a year. For a year. I don't mean, but you know when people fall. That's hilarious. Not when grandmothers fall. Or like when people walk into a pole or something. It's the best. It's so primitive. Those uncensored moments where you just go, did you? Did you guys see that video where the lady tripped? Oh, yeah. Texting. That was hilarious. This woman was walking through a mall. She worked in the mall and she was like on her break. Yeah, she's walking through the mall and she's texting on her phone. And what she doesn't realize is there's like a shin, a fountain that was like up to her shins, the height of it. And so she wasn't even paying attention. Banged into it with her legs and then... fell into the fountain. Well, she barely raised her hand to catch herself. She thought it was like, oh, it just was in. The funniest thing was the next day when she found out that they put it on. She was upset. Did you just like, I can't believe they didn't come to my aid? Really? Really.
You fell into a fountain. You work at that mall. How many times have you fell into that fountain? Lou, you know, one of my most embarrassing stories, I've told it, but it was a long time ago. I was in summer school and college. Take the stocking off your head. Please. Please. Do a snork. I don't know what that means. A snork? You don't know what a snork is? It's like a Smurfs, but they're underwater. It's a spinoff. I loved it. So I was riding my mountain bike. freshman year of college through campus, and I see about 50 yards away, this girl, Kelly Kevron. Never forget her. Oh, Kelly Kevron. Oh, dude. She was like, hey, do you want to study one time? And I was like, oh, God, oh, God. So this is after the studying incident. Nothing ever happened. She had a boyfriend. I'm riding my mountain bike across campus, and I see her, and she sees me, and I go to wave. I raise my hand to wave, one hand off the bike, and I go, my hand hits a stop sign and goes, as loud. as it could feasibly be. She and her friend laughed so freaking hard, dude. And then, of course, since my hand hit the side, I got squirrely on the bike. I was like, oh, God, oh, God. Dude, she was like, oh, oh, oh. Oh, my goodness. Oh, that's good. Squirrely on the bike. Squirrely. Oh, my. Oh, what? That's bad. That's very mortifying. The timing is fantastic. Oh.
You stayed up though, right? I stayed up. But I think a foot might have come off the pedal. Did you talk to her as you keep writing? Oh, I was like, I don't remember. I think I was like, hey. And then just like turned and went down the quad. I didn't remember. I wanted to make sure you stopped. It was mortifying. My face went. bright red. And I started sweating immediately. The color of the stop sign. Exactly. That's funny. Another quick one, speaking since it was wrong for me to laugh at my grandmother. I had a bike. My dad was in the military, so he got transferred to Korea. So I'm living with my grandmother for like a year. And all my two other cousins were all a year part. We're living there too, because, you know, whatever. Anyway, I got a bike for Christmas. And we had this big hill. By the ground of this house. And, you know, first thing she's saying is, don't you ride that bike down that hill. I'm like, sure I won't. Okay. Do not ride that bike down that hill. The worst part is my cousin was like, I'll get on the handlebars. Oh, let's go. We start down this hill and probably about 20 yards into it. It wasn't a good idea. The front.
The front wheel starts shaking. Oh, no. And I'm telling him to get off. Like, how is he going to get off the bike? There's no worse feeling. And I just know we're going down. We hit a car. Oh, my God. The bike completely. I'm surprised we didn't break. I'm surprised I still not. Oh, my gosh. The bike flipped. We flipped off and flew into these bushes. Oh, no. I got scrapes. The bike is tore up. I'm pushing it. I mean, the wheels off. I get up to the house. I'm like, grandma. She's like, yo, what did y'all got? Tell her what we did. She goes, go in the bathroom and take your clothes off so you can clean you up. That's always the answer. We're standing in the bathroom. And we're in there a little too long. And I thought, and my grandparents were old school. Okay. When they told you something, if you didn't do it, they were getting a switch. And it was on. Yeah, you cut your own switch. And I was in this little narrow bathroom, mind you. And I'm sitting on the bathtub and I look and she walks around the corner and she's got a switcher. I'm sorry. Insult to injury. She tore us up. And then she's, you know, putting band-aids on us. I'm like, what about my welts? I told you, baby, I love you, but I told you not to do that. I'm with my grandma go get you every time. I bet you didn't do that again. Chances your grandma could cook like a madman, dude. My grandmother taught me to cook. That explains a lot. She didn't cook. My grandmother, older people cook by taste. They didn't measure anything. She'd say, you know,
But she had you taste... My grandmother could taste anything and make it. Oh, yeah. That's rad. She used to make all the church cakes. So, like the... The coconut cake and the red velvet cake. Stop it. Grandma's cooking bulk, too. They have that big bowl. It's like 50 gallons. Grandma, who's coming over? I don't know. She makes her own peach preserves. That's what I miss morning. Peach preserves and her fresh buttermilk biscuits. Grandmothers always want you to eat. They're like, here, have some more. I would gain so much weight when I go home from college. It'd just be like... You go to my mom's house, eat breakfast, go over there for lunch, then dinner, and you just blow up. Truckloads of butter in everything they make. She cooked everything in lard. Everything was cooked in lard. They all lived to 100, too. That was the weird thing, man. Maybe they were on to something. Beautiful. What should we talk about? Sports? I'm trying not to think about it. There's a story I want you to tell. You told me off the air. Everybody in San Diego, and really everybody in the country, saw...
We got to go back to Ryan Leaf because there's just so much. We can talk four hours about Ryan Leaf. Yeah, this is the last line. I don't want to throw him under the bus. I feel bad. Don't you? Yeah. No, I don't because he cost me games and I, yeah. Yeah. No, I don't. No, I don't. Well, the big blow up. It was his rookie year and when he freaked out at the media, like freaked out, top 10 freak outs of all time. Oh, yeah. By far. It's still, they still show it to this day. All the time. We, as I was talking about before, we had finished. That game in Kansas City. Matter of fact, we were 3-0 going into the game. It was for first place in the AFC West and blah, blah, blah. Well, he went out and had the worst game of his life. I mean, literally. He was like 4 for 30 or something. Something ridiculous. He couldn't even complete a swing pass to the running back. Wow. Game got over. He did not talk to reporters. So, you know, he literally went in. I think he watched his phone. I don't know if he took a shower. I mean, he was the first person. He took a horse bath. Yeah, on the bus. I remember going out and I got on the bus and I'm like, Ryan, listen, man. You got to talk to the press. Look, you're Cinderella guy. This is what you got to tell him. You know, we, you know, so I'm like, look, tomorrow, you know, let's talk again. So the next day, what was his reaction when you told him? No, he was literally like, no, he was like, yeah, yeah, you're right. I will, I will. So, you know, the next day we come in, the press doesn't come into our locker room until about 11 o'clock. So we got time to lift and get all that stuff out of the way. So me and Junior kind of grabbing, well, Junior kind of was talking to him. We kind of sat down. We're like, you know, Ryan, you just got to tell him this. This is how you got to do it. You know, Junior was really trying to give him,
Dude, this is how you got to play it, okay? They expect it. You know, you're a rookie. This is how you spin it, you know, whatever, whatever. Okay, well, what people don't realize is when he got up and walked over and sat on that bench, we were literally sitting on that corner. You had prepped him for how long? Probably 45 minutes. We were just sitting there talking, having coffee, you know, whatever. And he goes over there and sits down, and the first question he's asked, he's like, what is it? What's funny is you see Junior walk over there to grab him. I wish they had panned out just a little bit. I was walking to the left going, you got to. I give up. I'm done with this guy. He just, I just, oh man, he just, I just couldn't, I felt, he felt bad for him. No, he didn't even so much lose cannon. He just would just, he would implode. Yeah. And pressure, I mean, pressure, it's tough. I mean, it's really being in a fishbowl like that, especially when you. had early success in college and you're expecting to continue. You're expecting to be the man. Judging eyes on you. Well, I just, you know, he honestly believed to a degree too. He thought because he got paid, he said this one time, well, the kind of contract I got, you know, I'm better than like, I'm like a Dan Marino or a John Elway. I'm like, what are you, what? Dude, are you crazy? Ain't nobody scared of you? That's why, dude, that's why the, you know, the thing with all the labor stuff that's going on, the rookie wage scale.
Now, listen, I'm not a pro and I never will be a pro. I'm semi-pro, but I'm not a pro. You're in the fraternity. Right. Paid adult baseball league. Yeah, I don't pay, but some guys do. I don't have to. But the deal is, is that that doesn't bother me, dude. And I know you as a player probably feel differently because, hey, man, you worked your butt off in college to get drafted. You should be paid. Now, the way I've always looked at it is. Shouldn't you be paid on your merit? And shouldn't you be paid on your production? It bothers me. Jeter just signed a huge contract. He's 36 years old. He's in the downswing of his career. And so they paid him this huge contract for what he's done in the past. And I don't necessarily agree with that. But you know what? It's the system. You look at the good years you got from Jeter. And look at a team captain. He had a down year. One year. One bad year, yeah. A lot of teams would kill for a shortstop to bat 270. You know what I mean? So, you know, but for a rookie to come into the league and get $50 million, come on, what's your motivation? I mean, look at, like, DeMarcus Russell. DeMarcus Russell's a perfect example. He got $50 or $60 million. He could care less than he got $32 million from the Raiders. He doesn't care. I mean, what's your incentive to continue to work hard where you got that veteran guy who, like myself, was a fourth rounder?
Worked his way to be a starter. Worked your butt off to be a starter. You know, and you go, because I'm going to tell you something. As soon as you start getting paid, if you're not in that rookie pool, as soon as you start getting paid, they are looking to kind of replace you. That's just the game. Yeah. Because every year you play and you start, you know, your body is getting beat up. It's getting worse. So it's an investment. Like a new car. It is. It's an investment. These people, you know, the company is making an investment in you and they're betting, okay, how long is he going to last so I can edge my bet? So I can get out and I don't lose money. That's just the name of the game. Business. It's a business. It's a business. And unfortunately, what's unfolding now, we're going to touch back. We're going to take a quick break, but we're going to touch on this again when we get back. But this labor thing is pretty interesting. Very, very interesting. Very, very interesting. Indeed. Mikey says this is good, so we'll see. But Jared Leto did a video of himself dressed as Kurt Cobain. In honor of the anniversary of Kurt's death, which was a suicide, am I correct? Yes. Allegedly. Allegedly. Mike said, you got to play this and tell M1s to watch the video on our Facebook page. When we come back, we'll play the audio. It's Jared singing Penny Royal Tea. Great song. Great song, I guess. All right. You're not a big Kurt Cobain fan? He was grunge. He was in Seattle. I may have saw him once. I think I had coffee.

So there's some breaking news right now, and I wish I did not have to report that, but I do.
There was a powerful earthquake which struck Japan this morning, triggering a tsunami warning. Yeah, just awful. The U.S. Geological Survey is saying it's a 7.1. There were no reports of casualties from anywhere in the earthquake zone as of right now. Workers that were evacuated at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, they were evacuated there. They're saying there's no Pacific-wide tsunami expected, but we'll be getting updates from this. I mean, just like, really. When it rains, it pours. When it rains, it pours. Exactly. So this is breaking news this morning. Oh, gosh. It's so sad. I feel so bad for them. Gosh, that's definitely not going to help with the, you know, fixing up the reactors. Right. The cleanup. I know. Just getting them back on track. You know, I didn't realize, and I know this stretch, but how it affects not so much what's going on with the nuclear reactor, but our economy. Oh, yeah. I was talking about that, too, and getting them back on track, how it's going to affect us. Because they carry a lot of weight over there. I feel bad. It's horrible, though. I mean, yeah.
It's just awful. So keep Japan in your prayers. Keep him in your prayers, man. Yeah. So let's see what we got next. You know what? The Jared Leto as Kurt Cobain. Kurt Cobain, excuse me. Do you know Jared Leto? No. Jared, well, it's either Leto or Leto. I always say that. I never know. It looks like it would be Leto. Where would I say that? Okay, he's an actor. Fight Club. He was in Fight Club. He got beat up. Big time. He was also in My So-Called Life. American Psycho. No. He's a good actor. He's a good actor and he has this band. I know him for someone. He wears eyeliner. You won't know the band. He's in a band called 30 Seconds to Mars. I like the name. They're a good band. Have you seen Fight Club? Yes, but it was a long time. He's the guy that Edward Norton decides to beat to a pulp. Here, Lou. And he gets the disfigured face. Oh, okay. Okay. Showing Lou a picture. So apparently he's a big Cobain lover. He looks kind of like Cobain. He looks kind of like Cobain. He does a little bit. In that picture. Just gorgeous blue eyes. Oh, and he doesn't age. Yeah. He looks exactly the same. Looks marvelous. True story. I want to hear this. So he was singing. He covered Penny Royalty. Penny who? Yes.
We've got meat out here with hot sauce on it. Meat, huh? What are you doing out there? We're having a hot sauce challenge in a minute because Lou brought in hot sauce. The hottest hot sauce in the world. Blow and blow. What is it called again? One's called spontaneous combustion. The other is beyond death. Beyond death. They're going to eat... and try. We have three contestants that are going to try this and they're going to describe what they're going through. Can I just say that the one bottle is sealed with wax so you don't accidentally open it and put it out? It's like, hey, make sure you know what you're doing before you even open this thing. I've tried both and it's brutal. Did it ruin you for the day? No, you'll come back. You'll be fine. But your tongue will be throbbing. You'll have that little like, I can't like that. So we're going to do that after this audio. It was the anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death. So Jared Leto, perform the song. I've never pushed that button before. Where are you going, Jared? Here we go. Running in here. Running in here. Take care of it. See, tell me. Oh, that sounds phenomenal. That sounds really good. That was really good. That guy is like a triple threat. He's such a bastard. He's good looking. He can act. All of the above. I've seen them live a couple times.
And, you know, I have the CD and I really like that band. And the CD, he sings really high and loud. And I'm like, I go to the show and I'm like, there's no way he hits these notes. Nails it. The whole show. You have a guy crush? I've had a crush on him since I've been like 13 years old. He was in that show, My So-Called Life, as Jordan Catalano. Oh, yeah. Every girl wanted to date him. Oh, yeah. In the world. Who did he pick? Claire Danes. Yeah, right. What happened? Was he like 5'4"? Yeah, he's a little dude. No, he's not. He's a little buff. Yeah, yeah. He's a little buff. he's a little but at least he can sing wear his makeup and play guitar the actors that do it just as like this is my hobby I like to do like Eddie Murphy my girl wants to party all the time oh that was so bad Jamie Foxx Jamie Foxx is talented yeah that's true I like Jamie Jamie's got some talent he's got some talent a couple people have pulled it off Jennifer Hudson
She can't act, though. She got an Oscar. Oh, yeah, she did. That was a good movie. She did? Yeah. Did you see it? What? Dreamgirls? No. I have a penis. Come on. Oh, Lord. She won an Oscar for that? Yeah. Here's why I say that. I watched her in... Oh God, I can't believe I'm going to admit this because I have a penis. Sex and the City. Me too. And she was terrible. Like terrible. But she wasn't supposed to be like a great actress in that. Yeah, exactly. You're terrible. You watched that? Yeah. That was her first ever project. He did like it. So you can't say that anymore. I know. But why did you watch it? Did you watch it to see some hot women? No, I watched it because I liked the show. Oh, did you watch the series too? Yeah, my wife and I used to watch it all the time. I know. Hey, let me tell you something. For the men out there, you want to learn something about women? Watch that friggin' show for a while. You can learn. You can learn. It mirrors our lives. Oh, really? Yeah. So close. Well, except for the designer clothes and always looking hot. Yeah. That's a good show. This is a really good show. Craig Gass was in it. I mean, it was a funny show. Oh, his scene was, you don't want to talk about his scene. I just, no. You'd like it. I would not watch it.
I try. I can't see it. You ready for hot sauce? Let's do it. Are they ready for hot sauce, Jay? No, we're not ready. Come on, Jay. They're not going to. You guys come in here. They've got to do it. They've got to come on in here. Once again, three contestants. Oh, I brought some homemade sausage in. That's not enough. That's enough. Come on. You can't taste it. He said a toothpick. Come on. But it's on chicken, though. So he's going to have it. Come on, man. So who's eating this? Zero. Introduce yourselves, gentlemen. Adam, are you eating it? Yeah. Oh, my God. What do you have in the cup? Is that milk? We should get to shoot you guys a baby, guys. Half and half. Are you kidding? They brought half in it. Look, I told them they had to have something. Spontaneous combustion. What's the smell? I don't do it. Just smell. No, that's not bad. That's not bad at all. Just smell it. Oh, God. So what do we start with? First of all, dude, let's put some. Look, you're not going to even taste that, dude. That's what I want. Okay, at least put it on the edge. So you can at least bite it. Start with the spontaneous combustion. Go spontaneous combustion. It clears your sinuses just to smell it. That is not enough. You are such a wimp, dude. This is spontaneous combustion. And they're eating it on a piece of sausage. Sausage. Sausage. Sausage. You guys are. That's terrible. They're looking. Everybody looks pretty good. They look pretty normal. That's just not even. They like it. It's more tingly than hot, right? You guys are terrible, dude. You try it then. Okay. You eat what I eat, though.
Tough guy. Okay. Okay, give me that. Give me that. Give me that. Get him a piece of sausage. Lou looks scary. No, give me that right there. Give me the chicken. Get the sausage. No, no, no. The hot one's on there. No, that's what I want. Okay. That's what I want. This is beyond death. Since we're going to do it. Oh, boy. You're going to do... You guys are going to do what I do. Give it to me. Get over here. You too, right? Yeah. Zero. Yeah. Get over there. A piece of sausage. You don't eat it. You're dieting. I can have a piece of sausage. It's protein. You just lost three pounds. It's protein. You're going to get it right back. Yeah, he is. He can't help himself. Not too. What are you doing? Protein. Oh, my goodness. Protein. Okay. Come on, gentlemen. Get over here. Okay, guys. It's protein. No, get over here. Where's the sauce? Lou, where can you find this hot sauce? I got it online. Oh, see, I got some of my fingers. This is called Beyond Death. Don't get it on your fingers and touch yourself in the face. So they don't even sell it in a grocery store? I think I had to sign a release for this one, actually.
What? Really? Oh, that's a little too much. Don't rub your eyes afterwards. Everybody wash your hands. I'm not going to do that. I'm going to go here. Oh, my God. He had to pour some of the excess onto other sausage. We're going to be men today, guys. Okay, here we go. Oh, there it is. Oh, my God. He put a dollop. He put a huge dollop on a piece of sausage. Can somebody give me something for my hands? I'm going to burn myself. Okay. Are we ready? Oh, we need one more. I'm good. No, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, don't do that. Don't do that. Jay? Jay, what are you doing? Lou's going to hook it up. Okay, here we go. All right. This stuff is called Beyond Death. Lou said that when they used to mix wings in it, they had to wear a gas mask. Oh, my gosh. That was not for you. Now, see, Ciro can handle hot stuff. He did the real hot stuff. He ate a bunch of it, too. Okay, Ciro, then you get that one. Ciro, take your shirt off. Yeah. What? It's for you guys. Okay, we ready? There you go. Grab yours. Oh, my gosh. You guys are not. Oh, God. I'm going to vomit. Oh, my. Cheers. One, two, three. They all put it in their mouth, and they're all cheering. Jay, check it out. Jay, check it out. Jay, check it out. I got to talk. I can't do it. Look at Cyril. Cyril's dying. Cyril's dying. Cyril's dying. Adam's dying. He can't swallow it. Is it bad? No. Cyril said no piece of cake.
Why did you guys take it out of your mouths? Drink some milk. Oh, my goodness, dude. I got to talk. I can't do this. Drink some milk. Oh, man. Is it bad? What happened? It's not bad for me. Okay. I wish I did some more. Give him a napkin. There's a napkin right here. Jay put it in his mouth, took it out immediately. Immediately. Oh, he's losing it, too. You got the hiccups? I got the hiccups. He's drinking half and half. He's drinking half and half. He's drinking half and half. He's drinking half and half. Oh, he's drinking half and half. How's it feel? Does it feel good? Oh, God. Oh, God. He's going to vomit. How is everyone else? Oh, my gosh. Adam? I'm all right. Are you okay? You guys, I feel like someone's going to die. Cyril says it's fine. I am sweating. Jay looks like he's going to die. He looks like he's going to die. It touched the roof of my mouth. I put it in and it touched the roof of my mouth. Stats. Stats. It's a tip. Oh, my God. Beyond death, it's called. Is it awful, Jay? And it's getting worse. Is it getting worse? Oh, no. That half and half is not going to help. You're drinking half and half straight. After you put sausage with hot sauce in your mouth, you're drinking half and half.
Oh, dude, that's not fair. Oh, Lou, you're a monster. I didn't mean to throw it in my mouth. I was trying to just like... That is what she said. Hello, baby. Let's take it down a notch. That was insane. Jay will do most everything. He put it in and goes... Nope, I'm done. Dude, that is... Can I smore that sauce? I can see beads of sweat all across your forehead. Oh, my God. I didn't even chew it. That's right. Oh, my gosh. You're sweating so bad. I feel so bad for them. Jay, are you dying? Jay's dying. It is all over in there. It's just like... It is on fire. Where are the boys? They're in his pants. Yeah. Oh, boy. I meant our promotions, boys. Zero, where'd you go? Louis' wedding. I gotta go home early. Yeah. Is it getting bad, Adam? I want to see them. I want to see them. He chewed it, though. See, it just stays with you. Send them back in. Send them back in. You want them back in. Both of them. Take your clothes off. I did not. I want to see if they're sweating. I need to see their foreheads. Dude. This ain't right. This ain't right. This is shoveling peanuts in woods. I'm used to saying woods is shoveling food in his mouth. How's it going over there, bro? Zero. Zero looks okay.
He's great. He looks handsome. But it's building. It's building, and at first it was okay, but I got to say, yeah. Really? I'm kind of struggling right now. What does it feel like? I don't know. It just hurts. It stings. How can somebody enjoy this? My tonsils hurt. How did you hear about this? Did they extract it from a bee? People used to come into my restaurant and say, oh, I want hot wings like I'm hot. So I'm like, oh, really? I went home and literally, I had Capsin, pure Capsin, which is the heat in a pepper. And we would mix it with that. We'd mix both of them together. And you'd stand there and go. And I would just sit there and laugh. It was so funny. People would just, oh, these are gray. I'm like, dude, you can't even see. And you're over here killing these wings. I mean, I don't know why people just punish themselves like that. I could probably do more, though. It wasn't. Oh, I'm sure you, yeah. Oh, my God. The more of it you eat, just think, though, that was a little bit. Imagine that being covering a wing. That's just, their lips is what gets you. If you're biting something with that on it, oh, you forget it. You guys got to make sure you wash your hands before you rub your eyes. Yeah, I'm not going to touch anything. Or any other part of your body. Jay, want to tell that story there, Jay, since you brought it up? Yeah, one time my buddies and I, we grabbed these sandwiches. We were on a road trip. We grabbed these sandwiches. Jay, what'd you say? What? We had these super hot peppers in our sandwiches. So we're eating the sandwiches. It was hot, not that bad. Pull over the road to have a pit stop.
and, you know, relieve ourselves. We're like, we get back in the car, we're driving on the road, and I'm like, all of a sudden I'm kind of squirming in my seat, and he's kind of squirming. We're like, what the hell? We had the pepper juice on our hands, and we had touched the boys. And you like to stretch yours out. You probably got it on a lot of yours. Well, there's a lot of me, so. Is there? Oh, boy. That is not right, dude. That is bad. I got Bengay on my boys one time. Rubbing some on my inner thigh. What about cologne? Have you done the cologne thing on X? Have you done a splash of cologne on? No. That's not cool either. Lou's dying. Lou's sweating. I'm just trying to focus, man. I feel so bad. I want to wipe my face, but I got it on my hands and I'm like, oh. I can give you some hand gel. There's barbecue wipes in a drawer out there.
Oh my goodness. It's not so bad. It's not so bad anymore. Come out the other side. Drink a half gallon, a half and a half. That would put me in the hospital. I'm not even kidding. It would put me in the hospital. Woods has a hard time eating a Listerine strip. Yeah, those are too spicy for me. I just had a bite of sausage. I have heartburn. Imagine if I was smothered. Dude, you dog N-asses all day, though. Sorry about that. That came out of nowhere. Nice, Jay. Burn, can you taste it still? Yeah. Maybe my eye's watering it. Is it still with you, Jay? Oh, yeah. It's still with me, but I'm coming out to the side. You're coming down. Okay, I'm regrouping a bit. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. Okay. Okay, we got a little audio from us. He's lost it. Pierce Morgan says that tonight, huh? Russell Brand says his marriage is more important than doing a movie with Tom Cruise. A little audio? Jay?
Come on. Russell Brown was on a meeting of pretzels. Oh, thank you. Go ahead. Because we can. The internet is going crazy with rumors that you are teaming up with Tom Cruise to do a movie version of Rock of Ages. I'm glad you finished that sentence. I don't know about all that. Teaming on Tom Cruise to make a movie. Good. Fair enough. We've been talking about Rock of Ages for... a little while, but I think we're trying to work out scheduling because, as you know, as a man who is married to a person that can often be on another continent, I need to put my marriage first. If we can work out the scheduling, then I'll do it. You're going to put your marriage before a movie with Tom Cruise? Yes. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Really? Good for you, Russell. Hey, if I had Katy Perry at home, dude, I wouldn't be going anywhere. Here would be me. Yeah. For days. What is, doing what? Did this just happen? Motovoting. Motovoting. Yeah. Gosh, it's hot. That's... You motorboating son of a bitch, you old sailor, you. Oh, wow. Yeah! 100%. She's so hot. You're so lucky, Mikey's on a plane right now. She looks like a doll. I know. She looks like a doll. It does look like a doll. I love her. Like what, Betty Boo or whatever? Oh, yeah. Nice. She's cute. The porcelain doll. Exactly. There it is. I'm still sweating. You have sweat all over your face. I'm afraid to touch my face. I know. I saw some of my hands. I'm so sorry. I feel sorry. We're getting into commercials soon. You can wash your hands. Thank you. Tastes good.
Okay. Should we play buzzword? We got something for Woodsy first. Oh. We had something at the little incident. You talking about my recap? Either that one or the gym thing. Yeah, it's in there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's probably part of his recap. Oh. Yeah, I wrote it in my recap. I need to read this? Yes. I need to read it. You can read it, yeah? You can read it or Woodsy can tell it. Go ahead and tell it. I like if you're... Let me tell it? Yeah, you're good at it. So I'm drinking a lot of water. And I'm drinking a lot of shakes and stuff. You're cleansing. I'm cleansing. Protein. You guys know me. I used to go a whole show. I would not have to get up and go to the bathroom. I'm in the bathroom every break now. And I'm just going number one. And I go to the gym yesterday. And I'm literally like a four-year-old holding. I'm like wanting to hold it because I have to go that bad. And I run upstairs. I do my check-in bed. Check the tanning beds. Make sure I still get a slot when I'm done working out. Oh, you're a weird man. Take a little bronze voyage. So I run into... No, I'm not joking. I run into the bathroom and I mosey up to the stall. I'm sorry, to the urinal. And I start doing my business. And I just glance over my shoulder. There's a guy in the stall. Door open. What? Sitting down. Playing on his iPhone. Sitting down. Use your imagination. What kind of person do you have to be?
Why would you do that? To have the door open. Where do you think you are? Do you think you're at home and your wife's out of town? But you're butt naked with your iPhone. Dude, I just got hot sauce in my mouth. Was he naked? Oh, gosh. No. No, I did. What? How? It was on here. Oh, my God. What? He got some hot pepper on him. There was a speck of hot sauce on the desk which is now on Netflix's tongue. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Just light me up. I'll try to fight through. Oh, boy. Touch down there. Have some pretzels. He's got you in. I'm drinking out of the half. I'm spitting in the half and half cup that they drank out of. Have a pretzel. That's how you got it on your lip. This guy was doing his business and he wasn't going number one. And he was sitting there with the door open, chilling, like hunched over, playing on his iPhone in the gym. Have you ever seen that? Yeah. I've seen it in jail. That's it. Yeah. I mean, we had a gym where. There was just a little short wall between you. So if you were going to do your business, you might be looking at another guy doing his business. What kind of gym was this? Like a high school gym. It's called Huntsville State Prison. Yeah. The pen? And now in high school, there's no private showers. I remember that. That was maybe like 1875 when he came into high school. That's true. Back then, the floors were made out of dirt. The walls were made out of mud. Was he naked?
No, he had his shorts around his ankles and his boxers, and he was just sitting there chilling. Really comfortable in the gym, though. Yeah, why did he have the door open? I think I have a theory. What's the theory? The smell. Ew, no. You're sick. I'm not. You're sick. I didn't do it. Ew. Why were you looking at him? I didn't do it. Maybe it swung open and he was too afraid to stand up. He didn't lock it all the way. Goodness. Okay. When we come back, Carrie Underwood talks about how she took major grief because of her NHL husband got traded from Ottawa to Nashville. Isn't she in Nashville? Yeah, and that's what people are saying because he was from Canada and now he's going to a hockey team in Nashville. That's what they're giving her a hard time for. Wow. Okay. And people thought she was responsible. That's when we get back. Oh, my God. It's better than I thought.

What Denny's has done is they have decided to celebrate.
What is quite possibly the world's most perfect food. Now, I've heard bananas. No, it ain't bananas. It's bacon. That is the world's most perfect food. It tastes good on anything. Our friend Lou Bush is here today. He made some sausage. Lou, the only thing that's going to make that sausage a little bit better is if you wrap a little bacon around it. What Denny's has done, they've created seven new dishes. The ultimate bacon breakfast, bacon flapjacks, pepper, bacon, and eggs, triple bacon sampler, the BBB LT sandwich. Bacon meatloaf, which sounds so good. And the famous maple bacon sundae. It's a hot fudge sundae with bits of bacon in it. It's absolutely incredible. Get into Denny's. Celebrate bacon all ya. It's a two-month-long celebration of, like I said, the world's most perfect food, bacon. It tastes good on anything. Put it on everything. I'm out. What makes an auto loan great? I made reservations for us last night. And Jay. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. On FM 94.9. Who's this? Nice. Who's that? Grateful Dead. Grateful Dead?
I don't know, dude. Lou Bush. Oh, babe. Lou Bush is in here filling in for Mikey today. Thank you. Who is on vacation. Yes, he is. Yes. Yes. And we were just talking about me seeing a guy yesterday in the gym who was going to the bathroom with the stall open. And we have a caller on the line that says somebody at work does the same thing. Oh, no. Yeah, what's up? What's up, guys? What's up, buddy? Love the show. Yeah, currently I can't talk too loud because I'm in my car outside of my work right now. He's like two parking spots away from me. Old open door Oliver. Yeah, but this particular guy, he likes to go to the bathroom, number one, and the only way that you'll know is because the door will be open, the lights will be off, and you'll just hear a little going on.
I thought he was going to demonstrate. Have you seen my wiener? You can't see the toilet, though. He's sitting. Oh, he's sitting. Yeah, he'll sit. He's sitting? He's sitting. He's sitting, right, Andy? No, he is full-on standing. With the lights off. Which makes for fun times, because one time my assistant manager walked in, and all you hear from the whole store is, you know, this particular guy's name. You jerk! cracking up because we all know what just happened. That's insane. What in the world? What is wrong with that? Why? Did he not want to look at himself? Thanks, Andy. Thanks, Andy, for the call. That's one of the strangest things I've ever heard. That's very strange. That is weird. Very strange. Yeah. Hey, J.D., have the audio for the Carrie Wood from Jay Leno. Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood. Carrie Wood. Carrie Wood. See, Woodsy, I'm seeing you. You're forgiven. Okay, once. Thank you. You're forgiven. She's beating. She's just.
Eyebrow beating me, dude. Who, Sienna? I'm not. Sorry. Carrie Underwood was on Jay Leno last night. And in case you don't know, she's married to a guy who plays in the NHL. He plays hockey. And he is from Canada. And they've just gotten married recently. And now he's transferring to a team in Nashville. Didn't know she got married. And your anniversary coming up pretty soon? Yeah, we were a couple months out, a few months out. What is it, April? And the hockey player Mike Fisher, right? Yeah, very good, very good. He was in Ottawa, now he's been traded to Nashville. The Predators, is that what it is? Yes. Okay. And I listen to sports radio, Carrie Underwood, she made him go to Nashville. Yeah, it's my fault. I'm amazed. Even my friends were like, how did you pull that off? And I'm glad people think I am that powerful. If you play for any professional sports team, do not mess with me. I will get you training. Wow. Wow.
One station was calling Yoko Underwood. It just killed me. I know. I think that stuck, too. I can't wait till I go play Canada again. I'm probably going to have some signs or some Fisher jerseys like Carrie Slash. Wow. They take it very seriously. They do. They do. And I was actually banned from a radio station. You were banned from a radio station? Yeah, they quit playing my music. But they never did in the first place. I think it was... She's about as interesting to listen to as a box of hair. What? I like that. I love her. That was like watching my grass grow. What said her love? She's so cute. I didn't love her, but what she was saying was interesting. People are so fanatical about hockey in Canada that because he got transferred, it's her fault. See, L.O.B., the way she told it was more compelling. Yes. And more real. More real. Definitely.
I'm going to play a game. It's time for buzzwords. Oh, boy. Please, callers, call in. Pick your pony. Pick your pony. Pick your pony. I am participating today. Yeah. Taking the place of Mikey. I have a ton of useless knowledge. You might want to call on me. So do you know how the game works? Yes. I observed. Okay. Well, in case you don't know, Jay gives us a buzzword. And what's the example we always give? So the buzzword is egg. And the definition is... To be embarrassed. To be embarrassed. Egg on your face. We would yell out, egg on your face. So Jay's going to give us a word. We're going to yell, pick a horse, Lou, Lauren, Woods, or myself. Correct. I got to stand up. I got to stand up for this one. This gets really heated. It's on. It's on. Yep. Chris is going to take callers. Chris will take the callers. Chris will take the callers with the picks. Make sure we all have a... So I don't do the board and mess this thing up. Yeah. We'll go to the board when we get the winner. Yes. All right, Jay. So here we go. Are we ready? We got our callers? We got our callers. M1 Ninja has L-O-B. Woo! M1 Get Sticker Maker. He's got Woods, of course. Second pick. M1 Steve from Orange County.
Oh, dude, you're going to regret that. I'll tell you now. Lou got picked last. Go figure. M1 Doug. Baller. Taking Lou. Winning. Racist. Sweet Lou. He knows what he's doing. He knows what he's doing. Let's do it. Here we go. Here we go. Step away from the mic. Step away from the mic. Everybody shut up. You know what? Hold on. Hold on. I want to go over there. No, I'm good. I like looking at you. What's the word? What's the freaking word? What is the word, Jay? Say it! Why don't you know the word? Today's word is down. B-O-W-N. Down. Like down. Here we go. Boxing term about a fallen fighter. Knock down. Down for the count. Down for the count. Tarn it. Woods in the lead. Here we go. Knock down. Thick. Fluffy cover for a bed. Down for the count. Why did you do it like that? Yeah, don't do it that way. I'm trying to think of a word for thick. How dare you, Jay? I'll do whatever I want. Jay, Jay, don't make me come over there. God. Come on. Come on. Direct. Practical. Honest. Down to the earth. Down to the point. Lauren. What was it? Down to the earth. Down to the earth. All right. Lauren Woods and I have won. There you go. You got this. Whatever. Financially ruined. Down and out. Oh, good.
He's on the board. Everybody's on the board. Take that a point away. He did not scream. Come on, Dougie. You must scream. Got your dog. Got your back, dog. Here we go. L-O-B. To swallow. Take it down. Take it down. Take down a pill. Swallow it down. Chug it down. What is it again? To swallow. What's the word? Down. Down. Down the edge. He got you by a millisecond. Darn it! Dang it! See? My favorite clue. Here we go. Sad or depressed? Down and out! Down and out! Down and down! Down and down! Wait, that was L.O.B.? Yes. Okay, Lauren and Woods have two. Lou and I have one. I can't be there with you, Santa. Shut it! Be quiet. Pipe down! Whoa. Back like a foot away. You're so loud. You're too loud. That's the point of the game. He's overcompensating. That's what he's doing. That's how he wins in a tie. His level is up the ass as well. That's how I win. Yeah, crank him down. His level is way up. To be adamant. Put your foot down! Darn it. I want another word. Yeah, change the word. Come on. We still got more. Please. Please. Let me do one more of these because it's just fun.
A windy comment of surprise. What? A windy? A windy comment of surprise. Comment? Comment. Comment. Comment. Comment? Yes. Comment. A windy what? Downright honest. A windy. Windy. Comment. Downsided? Of surprise. Downplay? Ew. Ew. Hype down. Take it down. Take it down to Chinatown. Blow me down. Wow, that explains the gesture. Change the word. That explains the gesture. The score is Lou and I have one. Lauren has two. Woods has four. Four? Okay. A few more here. The word that you wish to hear is speak.
Oh, yeah. Speak up! S-P-E-A-K. Speak. Secret club during probes. Speakeasy! Powered it back, baby. Yeah! I got you, Doug. What's the score? I just said it. Lauren and Woods have two. Woods has four. I have one. Lauren and Woods have two. Lauren and Lou. Okay. Lauren and Lou. We've got three more questions. Deeds are more important than talk. What? Action! Speak louder than words! Nice! Thank you, guys! Point! No! Okay, I forgot the word. Point! These next two are worth three points each. What? I gotta get these. I gotta get these. Okay, okay. Okay, here we go. Okay. Talk louder. Speak up! That's three-pointer. Oh, I got a game on! Score, score, score, score, score. What's four? Or what's five? Sienna four, Lauren and Lou. Have six. Two. No, you don't. You have five. Come on, come on, come on. Oh, boy. Couples post-argument communication status.
Not speaking to each other. Not on speaking terms. Not on speaking terms. No speaking terms. Couples post-argument. On speaking terms. Damn it. Three-pointer for LLB. Who wins? Me and LLB tie. Yeah, you tied. Suck it. I'll take a tie. We need a tiebreaker. Let's do a tiebreaker. Tiebreaker! Tiebreaker! Tiebreaker! They're up. Let's go. So it's just between the two of them. Okay. Fine. One pointer here, guys. Oh, gosh. Here we go. It's a hard game. Too awful for words. Unspeakable! Lauren. BS! BS! That's horse S. The cards will be available for viewing after the game. That is horse S. Nicely done, Lauren. That was a tie. No. That was a tie. You stand so close to the mic. It doesn't matter. We both said it at the same time. No, I said... You ever just get hosed? Oh, boy. Hosing listeners. We got a break. Congratulations, M1 Ninja. M1 Ninja, my girl. Great job. We got to make sure she hangs on the line. Please hang on. Her prize. For your prize, we'll get to you. Got to take a quick break. We'll be back. Oh, boy. Okay.

Struggling a little bit. He's going to feel beyond death later. Nobody's going to go in the bathroom for about 35, 45 minutes. Hold on. Just one more. Just one more. That's his favorite one. I'm going to take that away. A little power poot. No. I don't like power poot. You know you like to poot. I hate that word. God bless. They love the farting game. Who doesn't? Everyone does. Instead of being like, Dad, here, poot. You ever buttercup yourself? What is that? Nobody does that. Oh, you are. How do you always ask that? Don't describe it. That's foul. He has yet to find someone who agrees with him, so he just keeps asking. If you did, I don't think I'd want that information out there. I pooed and smell since... You do it. No, you make a cup. No, I'm joking. Tom of Bahama. Yeah, he will. Yes, he will. Mikey, I love you. Thank you.
It's been a great day. Lou Bush is here filling in for Mikey. Just call me sweet Lou. You call me Lou Bush. Well, I know, but I want to properly introduce you to it. We've got both. So people know what a big deal you are. No, I am just a man. Former Charger. Great, great. Super Bowl. Kind of quiet today. I thought I was going to get a little bit more attention a little bit. Me? She's nervous. She's nervous around you. She's nervous around you. I'm not nervous. You're nervous. Are you eating more sausage? You are a savage, dog. Yeah, when people are married, I behave. Protein, dog. Look, you can't quit. This is safe. It lasted for two days. Wait, it lasted for two days. It's protein. I'm going to the gym after this. Woods is dieting. He just took a bite. No, you're not. You go to the gym. Yeah. We need to film him. This is why we're dressed like this. We're all going to the gym. No, I'm going to the gym. With a mouthful of sausage. Yeah. That's protein. Win me the first time, Lou. He just calls that a Friday night. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my God. Get it? We're so loopy with my gun. It's actually on my list of things I can eat. Sausage? Yeah. Smoked sausage? Top sirloin. Extra lean ground beef. There's nothing lean about that, bro. Oh, really? No. No, I'm just kidding. You'll work it off. Take it away. We don't want to know, actually, what's in there. Hey, tomorrow, we've got a good friend, Aaron Taylor, former teammate. Yeah. AT's going to join us first. Yes.
For a time tomorrow, about nine. Probably take us out. Guess where he went to college. Tell us. Indeed, baby. He is one of my heroes, man. Listen. Love him. Listen. I'm so excited. Listen. Don't embarrass me. I'm going to ask him for his number. Just please don't embarrass me. You know I'm going to ask him for his number. Don't be, you know, overstep boundaries. I know we're in the fraternity. I know you're a part of it. Yeah, I'm a semi-pro. It's fine. You're not. I am. It's your first time meeting him. Actually, it's going to be my second time meeting him. I met him in Chicago once. He doesn't remember asking me. I bet he'll remember. I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm going to ask him if he remembers. I know exactly where we were. Weird. You saved a piece of his hair. Well, I was a waiter. That would make me nervous. I was a waiter there. I'm going to ask him. When he gets here, ask him if you remember. Yeah, I will. Describe the scene and then see if he still remembers. I'm going to set up the whole thing for him real sweetly. He was, he is probably top 10 Notre Dame football player of all time. He was an absolute beast. Freaking. Guy's unbelievable. Good play. Great guy. Great guy. Super Bowl champ. Yeah, won a Super Bowl. Tell him to bring his ring if he would. Don't try it on. I'm not going to try it on. Yes, you are. Tell him that he's embarrassing. No, Lou. I've already prepped him. I've already prepped him. Lou. We talked for a long time. Tell him to bring his ring in, man. Not everybody gets to see a Super Bowl ring. Yeah. You know what? I will. That'd be good. And I'll bring my second place ring. You should do that. What do you get for second place?
Pat on the back? A ring. It sucks. I've never worn that ring. Never. I've never worn it. Why would you wear that? You wouldn't. You're an also-ran. No one cares. Yeah. I mean, really, who was in the Super Bowl? Who lost? Right. I don't know. We cared because it was the only time the Chargers went, so we care. Honestly, I thought we were so young, I thought we were going to be back. You're like, oh, we'll be back next year. I was like, oh, this is going to be a normal routine. We'll be here all the time. At least you went. Right. Would you rather have not gone than have gone and lost? That's hard. That's a very difficult question. Did you cry? No, I don't cry. He's a man. No, I don't mean it like that, but I left everything out there, so I have nothing to cry about. I'm not going to cry. But you're part of San Diego history. You'll always be. I wish we could have brought one home. I know, man. So would you have rather not gone at all? No, because I really appreciate that experience. I love that experience. But you freaking hate the fact that you guys lost. But the years when I left, actually when I left here, I never went to playoffs again.
You know, Lou, my team, my Tipsy Crows made the playoffs last year. And we also didn't bring home the trophy. Wow. Pay to play. I got, Lou, I got a, I did win a championship once. And it felt great. I got a beer mug. A big, giant beer mug. A ring pop? I didn't get it. We got a ring pop. But my wooden bat league back in Texas, we won the championship once. I'll tell you, I celebrated like it was the World Series. Rockstar. Yeah, we had a 16-game season. We went right through that thing and we ran the table. And it felt real good to win it all. It's like 10% of a real baseball season. That's exactly what it is. They're more like a football season and a baseball season. Yeah, exactly. This has been fun. This has been fun, guys. I really appreciate it. Excited. It made me feel so much home. You're a good guy. It was so natural listening to you guys. You sounded great. I've done a little bit of radio here and there. You're kind of a big deal. Kind of a big deal. Kind of something special. It's all because of you. Oh, no. If you weren't here, I just, oh, my goodness. It's just like Mike's here. When Mike, he says that, I mean, he's dead serious about that. Thank you. You make it so easy. Thank you. It's been real. I love you. Tomorrow's going to be fun. We're going to get a little crazy tomorrow. Tomorrow I'll be a little more crazy. A little tired. I just want to test you out, make sure you aren't going to be like a firecracker if I poked you. Give me a little attention. Yeah. Honey, it's just jokes. We're just joking. Yeah, we're all friends. We're all friends here. Yeah, my honey's listening too. It's just jokes. I want to meet him.
Hi. Maybe he can come in tomorrow. Yeah. He's not black. What? No. Unfortunately. Many people might think that he is. He's not. He's not. He's not. I love him just the same. There you go. Almost the same. Slightly less. Almost the same. So what's up, Hillary? Hillary, welcome. Thank you. I have all kinds of good stuff. New Strokes, new Arcade Fire, new Incubus. I'm going to play The Shins and some Vampire Weekend and even some Dams. Hey, play that band you played yesterday that I called the hotline about. Oh, what was it? Biffy Clyro. Oh, yeah. I loved it. Yeah, there's Scottish band Biffy Clyro, they're called. A Scottish band? And they're playing here next Thursday night for six bucks. I've already got my tickets. But I was playing it yesterday, and the hotline rang, and there's only a few people that called. She goes, hold ways. Well, I was about to call it.
Yeah, like 10 seconds. So, yeah. Just abusing the hotline real good. That's right. Where are they playing? Belly Up. Belly Up for $6. Yeah. I'm on vacation, so I can do it. I'm going. No excuse. But Wood's called to ask, who are these guys? Biffy Clyro. I want some vacation plans for tomorrow. What are you guys going to do? Oh, you got it. Yeah. So, one more thing worth noting. Biffy Clyro has been handpicked by the Foo Fighters to open their upcoming... Wow. Giant white limo tour. And you can see them for six bucks before they blow up. They sounded so good. So good. Yeah, I loved it. Looking forward to it. All right. It's been real. It has been fun, man. Four hours. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Will we? Trying to find the exit music desperately. I've been looking for this song. I can do it. I can do it. We can sing. I think it's on the right side, Jay. Come on, Jay. I think it is on the right side. Come on, Jay. Who messed with? I think he messed with. I ain't messed with nothing. Nope. Keep going. Come on, Jay. There it is. Bottom right. Bottom right. Yeah. There you go. It's been real. Peace out. Financial media sticky in the morning. The music.
