That song is... Amazing. That's a Grammy winner right there. That's incredible. That's absolutely incredible. Good morning. Good morning. My peoples. We're here with a live studio. Who is up at this ungodly hour? There's no studio. We have the rose for ourselves. There's no studio audience. We don't have a studio audience today because Mike is on vacation. So what's he trying to say? I know. People would be thrilled to meet you, Lou Bush, but people may also be upset that Mike is not here. Upset?
He's had people that have been following him for teen years. The nation. When M1s finally get their opportunity to come in and if they come in, Mikey's not healed, they'll be sad. And they meet Lou Bush. It's just not the same. I know it's not the same. That's true. You guys do look very similar. The body build. If by similar, you mean complete opposites. We've got Bush. Jay! We do have Bush. We've got Bush. We don't have Mikey, Jay. Who do we have? We've got Bush. We talked about me playing. Oh, there it is. You love that one. My peoples on the air with me today, Sienna, the lovely Sienna. Thank you. It would not be possible, this show. The great things we did yesterday without seeing it, I'm telling you. Keep you on track. Yeah, keep you on track. Focus, man. Woodsy. What's up? My man in sports. That's right. In L.O.B. Fantasy time. I got a booty. Oh, there you go. Hello. Let's jump right into it. Oh, you forgot two people on our show. I don't know those guys. I don't talk about Jay, first of all. And Flounder. How dare you. He wore a Bone Thugs and Harmony shirt for you today. He's trying to make me feel gay. He is. He's trying to make you feel comfortable.
I hate Bone Thugs and Harmony. He was trying to assimilate. I know. My mom said just say thank you if you can't say anything nice. Exactly. Hey, thanks, Jay. It's Flounder. It's Crouch. It's Crouch. Dude, he looks like, look at that. That's not a Flounder look to you. I don't know what it is. What is the Flounder look? Look at that. Right, that's Flounder. That's Chris. Stop, that's Chris. I'm joking. He's feeling good. Look, he's smiling. I have a feeling Chris is about to start getting his real good. From the lady friends in the audience. He's newly single. Ooh, okay. Making some love connections. We've been talking him up. We've been talking him up. And ladies are all the way in. You're on the air. You're getting some air time. LL Cool Chris. LL Cool Chris. I would go with Flounder first. Ladies love Chris. They love Kral. It's Kral. It's Kral. I Kral. Okay, before we get going, I got to go ahead and put out the word of the day. I completely disagree with this, but... Sienna. Yeah. The word is flannel. Flannel. Flannel. I don't know why everyone's making such a big deal about it. It's just a word of the day. It's just a word of the day. You just got to work it in somewhere. Just work it in. I don't get it. Okay. You can do that. Can you write me a sentence to put this in? Flannel. You guys, you are so overreacting. It's just a word. Started with you yesterday in sports. I'm going to go, Sienna, what about what's going on in the news? Well, big.
Shocking news last night on American Idol. This is incredible. I'm going to just, I mean, people that, you know, you may not be the biggest fan of American Idol, but a lot of people love it. And everyone knows who Pia is. Pia is gorgeous. She has been the one that everyone's been saying is going to win the whole thing. Flawless performances week after week. We listened to her yesterday, right? Yeah. She was voted off last night. She was voted off last night. The person who leaves us tonight. After the nationwide vote is Pia. Shocking. Stefano, you safe. That's why that show sucks. She's great. Yeah. Well, people voted. People voted. It's a democracy. Stupid. So what happened? They voted her off. First of all, she's... So she had one poor performance, would you say? No, no. Listen to them, boo. It wasn't even poor. Okay, here's what happens. They'll bring her back. I think.
They're not going to bring her back. They can't. They saved the stand-up bass guy. That's terrible. But she'll have a contract. Yeah, you don't have to win to do good on the show. Yeah, she'll have a contract. She'll be fine because she's so cute. You're almost better on American Idol if you don't win. Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, I think they've been more successful, the ones that have been runners-up. Yeah. What's his name? Clay Aiken. What's he doing? He's in a bathhouse. No, but people like Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson would, I know Kelly Clarkson broke her contract with American Idol because they have some crazy contract. Like they get half of your money. Half of your money. And like when you're making big money like Kelly Clarkson was making, you're losing so much of it. So they had to pay off American Idol. And really, you know, if you don't have that contract, you're going to be fine. Yeah, you're almost better. Yeah. And so this girl's going to be fine. But my theory to what happened is that. Everyone just assumed she was going to be safe and didn't vote for her because they thought she's not going anywhere. And they voted for other people that they liked and didn't think maybe had as good of a shot. Yeah, because they don't vote against you. They vote for other people. So they're voting for... Did you see it, Sienna? How'd she do on her final performance? Like last night? Yeah. She did good. Whenever they're voted off, they sing. I wouldn't do that. I just walk off the stage. But you sign a million papers saying you're going to...
participate with all this stuff. And then you get to go on tour with them. Yeah. Take the top 10 and go on tour. That would be rough. That would be so degrading. I don't think so. It's like the last dance on the little Dancing with the Stars. It's like two weeks notice. You get canned or you quit a company and they make you work the last two weeks. Like, I'm not working. I'm going home. But you know what? We wouldn't know who she was if it wasn't for that show. Like, that show got her out there and she has that show to think. But Jacob and Stefano were in the bottom three as well. They were obviously safe. Jennifer Lopez last night said, I have no idea what has happened here after they found out Pia was voted off. Steven Tyler said, I'm shocked. I'm angry. I don't even know what to say. Maybe you don't use that save on that clown and use it for something that actually can sing. Casey's good too. He sucks. It's American Idol. My wife showed me last night. She goes, you have to watch this performance of Casey. And he was singing. He was good. Oh, he was singing something. It was from the other night. It was raining. It's something with rain. No, he was singing a Johnny Cash song, I think. Don't be jealous, Woods. Oh, I'm not. He has a beard. A red beard. Yeah, yeah. And he, I go. He has a red beard? Uh-huh. Yeah, I go, babe. She goes, isn't it so good? He was doing Folsom Prison Blues. Uh-huh. And he was playing it. And I go, wow.
That's terrible. Johnny Cash is rolling over his grave because he was like, I hear the train coming. It's rolling around the bend. And I go, dude, that ain't good. Oh, we got to fight. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Yeah. Steven Tyler said, I don't know, America, man. Mistake is one thing, but lack of passion is unforgivable. They're wrong. They were mad that Pia got voted off last night. But she seemed fine. I mean, she did her performance. She's going to get paid. She knows that. She's going to be like in Maxim probably next month. Playboy maybe? Playboy? She looks good. She got out of it when she wanted to get out of it. Yes. If I work for Playboy, first call I make today. So listen. Saw you got voted off. I'll make it right with a fresh million bucks for you. I know. Well. Playboy's already gone to, Karina Smirnoff from Dancing with the Stars. She's going to be in the magazine coming up in May, the May issue. Now, which one is that? She's one of the dancers? Yeah, she's like a little Latina mama. She's pretty cute. She's engaged. She was with Mario Lopez, wasn't she? Yeah, she was. Oh, wow. He's gotten everybody. I tip my hat to him. He's gotten everybody. I listened to an interview with him on a radio show and this host.
named Howard Stern, was asking him and rolling down the list of girls, and he's like, yeah. Why do you think it is? Because he was A.C. Slater? He's just a sharp dude with a good body, man. Oh, easy. Yeah, it was. Man. I mean, in Hollywood, there's a lot of sharp dudes. He's got a great man. He has a great body. I mean, he's not a good actor or whatever. No. You know? Look, he's on TV. Thank you. Yeah, but there's plenty of people on TV that don't pull in as much as him. Not as much as him. The dimples, I think. He pulls some. And you got to be out there to kind of, you got to be trolling to get it. I saw him in Vegas. How tall is he? He's about the same height as Mikey. Are you serious? So, very tall. Yes. Oh, yeah. About 5'6". Mikey is listening. Right now, in his hotel room, and he just dropped his fork on his plate when he said that. Well, you guys said, how tall is he? I'm giving you a frame of reference. All you heard is this. I can't believe you just said it. Mike, I hope you're enjoying your rice and eggs. Yeah, feast on it, pal. So he was talking about rice and eggs. He was looking so funny. Like fried rice? No. White rice with a fried egg. White rice with a poached egg or a fried egg? I don't know. That's what he was looking forward to the most, yes.
He goes, that's all I'm looking forward to on this trip. Not all he's looking forward to. But mostly. You're going to go to Maui for fried eggs and rice? Correct. Well, and the air conditioning. Yeah. And don't forget the Tommy Bahama. And the Tommy Bahama restaurant. Biggest, world-renowned Tommy Bahama shop. There it is. And the restaurant. And the restaurant. How long do you think he was in the Tommy Bahama store yesterday? Oh, hours. He left the plane and took the limo. Went straight there. Straight there. Yeah. He was on Tommy Bahama Airlines to get to the Tommy Bahama store. He actually told me a secret. I probably wasn't supposed to share it with you guys. You're going to. I'm going to. Because he is who he is. And because he's dropped so much coin there. The man. They shut it down for him for two hours. The Jordan treatment? Independent shopping. It's just him and Rebecca. He's basically doing a shopping spree. Never looks at price tags. What's the price tag? They bring him things and they're like, will this suit you, Mr. Esparza? No, get that out of my sight. I want more coconuts. He's like pretty woman. He sits and drinks virgin champagne because he doesn't drink. And they have the body double that tries the clothes on forehead. So he can see it.
That's nice. It's all coutured to him. Yes, it is. It's perfect. So he had that last night. I think he's going to go back three more times in the nine days he stays. They don't shut the whole store down, though. It's just the Husky children portion. Jay's really trying to lose his job. Oh, wow. We need to show Lou where the crooked button is. Yeah, show me that so we can... Nope. Nope. Come on. I think it's purple. There, at the bottom. It's gray. No, it's right there. Okay, yeah. Okay. I'm going to have to learn this board real quick there, Jay. Have that handy, dude, for when Jay talks. You're going to want that. Yeah! He keeps it on the Rick James drop. Yeah, I like that. Sounds more like myself. That's true. Oh, we got a caller this early in the morning? Oh, yeah. Okay, M1 Bear calling in from La Mesa. What's going on, dude? Morning. I've actually already been up for four hours, but you guys have been probably working harder than I have.
After you guys talked about Tommy Bahama yesterday, I have a friend, and I was able to acquire, I probably got about 12 to 14 different size signs of Tommy Bahama. Oh, my gosh. I got it. You're going to drop him off? Drop him off at the studio today, and I will take care of the prank. Yes. And the video. One of them's a banner. One of them's a banner. It's about four feet wide. I don't know where he got it, but he promised me it was all legal because he works with advertisement and stuff. There you go. Dude. Okay, we can't. I don't think we can talk about any more. Just in case he's listening. If you're listening now and you're confused, we'll explain all of this later. Yes. When we get back. When we get back from vacation. When we're finished pranking. Yes. Hey, can you bring them to the station today? Yes, I'll bring them before noon. Do you know where we are? Yeah, if you could do it right at 10, we could just load him right up. I'll be here. You're the man. You are the man. This is going to be hilarious. All right, guys. Hey, please hold on the line, okay? We're going to put you on hold. All right. All right. Brilliant. Yep. Love him. That is sweet, dude. Wow, look at you. And one bear. That is perfect. We'll explain all this. He's going to lose it if he sees that. No, don't worry. Just don't say anything. We can't talk about it. We'll explain it all. I'll handle it. I'll handle it all. Yep. The setup. Yep.
And then if I can, I'm probably going to take the flip with me. Okay. And I'll hide in the bushes. All right, well. And you're going to hide in the bushes? Yeah. I'm going to go. I'm going to be there for that. You want to be there? Okay. You got bush. You know what, Jay? Come on, y'all. Just. Oh. Oh, no. You shut me up. Jay. Yay. You stopped. You can't stop the crickets. What, are you going to smack me back? You are stupid. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. Oh, my mind. Oh, my goodness. Anything else? What's going on? Okay, well, we talked about this a little bit towards the end of the show yesterday. I don't know if you heard, but there was breaking news. Yesterday, a major aftershock hit Japan, one of the strongest aftershocks since the 9.0 earthquake last month. This one was a 7.1. It did not cause a tsunami, thank goodness. However, three people have been reported killed and 150 people injured so far. It knocked out power to some large areas in Japan.
the latest on it right now, but just so sad. I mean, keep Japan in your prayers. Just, oh, wanted to stop. Also, Obama was in a meeting last night with some other congressional leaders to try to avoid government shutdown, which would be happening at midnight tonight. The leaders failed to reach a budget deal, which would avoid this shutdown, but Obama did tell reporters after the meeting, I expect an answer in the morning, meaning this morning. So we just hope everything's going to be okay. I've got nine holes to play. You guys let me know. Really, Obama? Yeah. It's my best Obama. I've got to fill in for Mikey. He's not here. Cape. That's not bad. That's not good. That's not good. Local military people here in town. Yeah, a lot of people affected in this. They're saying roughly 800,000 federal workers would not get paid because of this government shutdown and just a lot more. They're saying in the district, trash pickup would be suspended. National parks would be closed. Everything that's government related, post offices, all that stuff. That's perfect.
They're saying you'll still get social security checks but don't expect anyone to be around to answer any questions you may have. How can you just shut off the government? They said if you didn't file your income tax online that you would not get it. You'd be delayed or something. This is a big deal. I hope everything's going to get worked out. Can we just try to call Obama? Do you think that he would listen to us? Hello. I do have his personal number. I should give him a call. Yeah, call Congress. Like, dude, what's up, man? Bro, man, what's going on? Yeah, just kind of have a heart to heart. Because you know, when he got elected, we all got that number. Yeah. That's how we roll. I'm just saying. Well, did you give me some sports news? Well, man, it was a big day. I'm on the golf course yesterday. And this kid, I love this kid, Rory McIlroy. The name of him. Rory McIlroy. He's a stud. He's from Northern Ireland. He fired a 7 under 65. That's how he opened the Masters yesterday as a 21-year-old kid. It was just incredible. And there's a Spaniard behind him, Alvaro Quiroz, Mikey, matched him as well. So, dude, it's going to be a really great weekend for sports. A lot of good basketball games on. Of course, I haven't talked about it all week, but I'm really excited because today...
starts the first Yankees-Red Sox series of the year. Oh, boy. And there is no better rivalry in sports, period, than the Yankees-Red Sox. Lou, do you know about Woods' affinity towards the Yankees? Do I really want to know? Oh, come on, the skin. I got a skin on my computer. But you're from Texas, right? I grew up in Connecticut in the heart of Red Sox Nation. My dad's a Yankee fan. His dad was a Yankee fan and passed on to me and been to World Series games and been to the Yankee Stadium a bunch. Those are my guys. So they take on the 0-6 Boston Red Sox. Have not won a game yet. Are you serious? Spent about $200 million in the offseason. So nice work so far. But you know what? It's setting me up for a really disappointing weekend. Because you know that with that lineup, they're going to bounce back. I just hope it's not against my guys this weekend. What's the Yankees record? How are they doing? 4-2. 4-2. They're looking pretty good. There's some holes. But, you know.
And I'm sure everybody wants to know what Tiger did yesterday. Yeah, the notables. And Phil. Phil Mickelson shot a 70, so he was two under. Tiger made three birdies and shot a one under 71. Three shots worse than his opening round last year. Not bad, though. So, I mean, not bad. What Tiger needs is to be about... The old Tiger needed to finish Saturday at about three back, right? If he wasn't going to be the lead, he needed to finish about three back. Because you knew that surge was going to come. This new Tiger, we haven't seen that Sunday surge. The red shirt bit. We haven't seen that surge from him where he just dominates on Sunday. Does he have a chance? Absolutely. The guy's won 14 majors. He's got a chance. But he doesn't look like Tiger Woods anymore. He just has no confidence out there. He whines and gets upset. Whereas he used to be able to kind of rise above that stuff. Woods, I told you.
$750 million. $750 will get you, dude. $750 will get you. I think he needs an outlet. Strip club. I think he needs a few outlets. He needs a strip club and call back to hookers. Yep. Go to Perkins. Yeah, go back to Perkins. Get a wager. Be single. Go do what you want. He probably is doing that. No. I don't think he is. He's trying to remake his image right now. Yeah, he's had enough of that for a while. So my theory is, you know, when he was working with Hank Haney, was his swing coach for years, and he was, I mean, he was dominant. I don't know what happened with those guys. There was a falling out. And, you know, it's like we talked about it yesterday. If I'm playing professional baseball and you're playing professional football and you got a coach that really brings you to the top of your game. Once you're at the top of your game, you're not going to be like, I'm going to go kick the tires and see what else is out there. I mean, and that's what Tiger did in his new swing. It ain't the same, dude. It doesn't have the same. He's in the woods a lot. He's off to the right, off to the left. No pun intended. No pun intended. But, man, it's a different guy out there. It really is. But I'll tell you, I'm pulling for McIlroy. He is a little stud, dude. He's a good player. You know, Tiger, it's this thing. When you get to that level and you've had that much success, it's got to be probably difficult to stay humble where you're going to go. Especially when the world was going, it's all about you. You know, when he said in that little...
that little thing after he got caught all up, I felt entitled. Yeah. You know, I think maybe he's kind of got a little disillusioned. He'll find himself. He's too talented not to get back on track. I think so, too. I think so, too. He should just call Charlie Sheen to even get some Tiger blood. There you go. Winning. Winning. You would think that Tiger would be the one giving out the Tiger blood. Well, they used to. His blood's a little tainted now. Yeah. It's not really, doesn't have the same weight as it used to. But man, it's going to be a great sports weekend. You're a big basketball fan. You got a big game on Sunday. You're a Celtics guy. Celtics got beat down by the Bulls. A long story. I used to hate Larry Bird with such a passion. He's great. But I'd watch him. Because you don't like white people. That's what you told me off the air. You said you didn't like white basketball players. You said white guys can't play basketball. You told me that. But they're an anomaly. I'm kidding. It's just so rare. I mean, a good basketball player. But Larry was just... Larry talked trash. Oh, yeah. And would just put 40 on you in a heartbeat. Do you know that I spent about nine hours at a bar sitting right next to Larry Bird drinking with him for about nine hours? You're going to have to tell me. I would love that. I got some stories for you about that night. It was gnarly. And I sat there and I asked him... You know me. I'm not shy. I asked him... Jock Sniffer. Jock Sniffer. 100%. I asked him...
Every question in the book, you know that guy blasts cigs? You know Larry Bird blasts cool cigarettes? He smokes cools, dude. I'm not kidding you. Smoking cools. He was sucking down drinks and I'm looking, I'm like, and his buddy that was with him was his trainer for years. They'd been together and he was kind of his assistant. And he told him, he goes, He goes, you should have seen how much he smoked when he played. He goes, he worked out twice as hard as everybody else because he had to. The guy was blasting cigs left and right every night. Deacon Jones one time at Junior's training, we're talking. He's like, dude, I used to put a cigarette out going onto the field. Hall of Famer. Defensive man. Hall of Famer. Deacon Jones. He said everybody smoked. He goes, it was just whatever. He goes, we went to training. He was like, off-season workouts? We went to training camp. They sold insurance in the off season. We went to training camp to get in shape for football. Yeah. That was it. That's amazing. Football now and all professional sports are full time. Oh, it's a year round. 365. It's a year round. You have to be. Like me. L-O-B, what's up? What's that? What's going on? This water, the thing just fell. Who? This pad.
I don't know why I called it water. I'm flustered. She's flustered. She's talking to her. I'm flustered. I said I'm flustered. I'm sorry I did that. I'm flustered. It'll be good. Look who's in the studio. Yeah, sign me up for that. Where does that come from? You need to explain that. Explain yourself. We'll talk about it next break. I'm a little flustered. She's red. I got a little flustered. Why? Because I called something water and now everybody's looking at me. Am I staring at you? There were post-its on like a speaker and the post-its fell off. She said I spilled water. It's just like water. It's early though. I thought maybe Mikey would be listening to think I spilled water on the board. Last time he was out I spilled coffee all over the place. You did? I'm really flustered. in the first break. My coffee hasn't really set in. I'm like, I don't make a whole lot of sense. That is an actual LLB scream. That is. Let's hear it again. I got scared. I scared her. Jay dressed up as a leprechaun and scared the crap out of her. That would scare me too. See that mask in there? Oh, you wore the hat too? Yeah, I got the hat. And big furry hands. And he jumped out. I have this thing with midgets. That's scary too.
Little people. Oh, you're about to get filleted online, Lou. You don't even know. Come on, dude. You're about to get killed. You can't make a mistake. You are done. Whatever happened to just telling the truth? Just go ahead and take it to the house. Yeah, you better just take it to the house. You're about to get filleted. I'm not going to read these. I'm not going to be here. I'll read them to you. Yeah, thanks. You don't have a Facebook page? See, I'm going to hurt you, dude. I'm going to hurt you. We're going to take a quick break. There's a reason why you see so many people walking around with earphones. We love listening to music. And aside from gothic doom metal, music makes us feel good. Well, the roads are wet. You got to be careful on the 56 eastbound, the ramp to the 15, an injury accident here. Two-car crash. It's a car and a trailer. The carpool lanes are blocked right now. Also, we do have some backup. Looks like the 5 southbound between Oceanside Harbor Drive, Las Floras Drive. It's pretty slow, about 40 miles an hour. And the 805 southbound between the 5, the North End University Avenue is still dragging a bit. This report brought to you by IHOP. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I don't really like to swim. Unlike most Latinos. Lauren. I got a little pepper up my nose. Had to sneeze. I can put down a 20 pack of chicken nuggets. No problem. I'm like a little bit Irish. Everything white, I am. And Jake. No, I didn't cry. I'm a man. On FM 94.9. If I fade it. I know. I think our fans like that. Is this the abrupt? Stop. I don't think they do. Jay, whatever. Mikey is on vacation right now. Happy birthday. And we got... Lou Bush. We got Bush. Lou Bush is filling in for Mike. I'm just saying, man. Sweet Lou. Don't wear it out over there, Kay. See?
Word of the day. I'm going to say it here. Flannel. You have to use it in... I'm not going to... No, no, no. I just... I told her. I'm not... Come on now. I got this, man. Say it. Flannel. There you go. That's it. That counts. I'll use it in the... Oh, wait. Call in? Yeah. We haven't even told them what they want. They could have... Oh, well... They could have won some chicken or something. It wouldn't be the first time. Some afro-shoot. There you go. We did give away tickets to a chicken dinner. A four-pack. It was when we first got on the air. You gave away a four-pack of chicken. No, it was lunch for four. Where? At Church's? I don't know if it was Church's. I think it was Carl's Jr. No, it was Church's. I don't think it was Church's. It was Carl's Jr. Yeah, it was Carl's Jr. You guys are terrible, dude. Thank you. Isn't that awful? Maybe bite the hand to feed you. You're so biased. Jay gets so mad, he takes it personally. Wait, why are we biased? Easy, big times. I'm joking. No, we're not being biased. We actually did, and we were like, really? That's all we're going to give people that won? But if it was good chicken, I wouldn't be upset. I mean, a prize is a prize, but we'd like to give a little bit more. Yeah. You guys were just starting out, though. Yeah. Sponsorship wasn't really there. I know. We got Caller 9, I think. We got Caller 9. Should I tell them we won? Yeah. Let's take Caller 9. Let's just do that first. How about that? You know he's already there. M1 Steve. Hit the button. And what line?
Three. Four. Four. There it is. Four. It's four. Hello. Hello. What's up, man? Nothing. I'm caller nine. You are caller nine. Congratulations. Yeah. What is the word? The word is flannel. Well done, young Padua. Well played. Well played. Let me tell you what you won. You have won a pair of tickets to the San Diego Padres game versus the Cincinnati Reds Tuesday, April 12th. Nice. Excellent. Yes, man. Also, you qualify for a pair of tickets to Strikeforce MMA April 9th at Valley View Casino Center, right? This is tomorrow night. We're going to draw that today. We're going to draw that today. Oh, we're going to qualify for the drawing, excuse me. Yeah, so within the next couple of hours, we're going to draw that one, right? Yes, indeed. Excellent. Yes, versus Daily. Good luck. So please hold on to the line. Thanks for the call, buddy. Thank you. All right, bud. Lou. I'm getting, I'm getting, he's kind of, you know, coming around. Sometimes, you know, it's hard to get used to talking and pushing buttons at the same time, you know, to answer the phones. No, it's hard. This is, this is a whole, this is a whole creepy thing. You want to just match something to you. What does this do? If you've never seen a radio board, the host sits behind, it's like a table with 200 buttons and you have to control all these buttons. I always want to hit the red button that looks like it does something bad. I like the big on buttons over here. Like it's on, dude.
That's what I'm talking about. So as we were saying before we left, we had the audio. Donald Trump actually went on the Today Show yesterday and had an opinion about Obama and whether or not he was born in the U.S. Who cares? People care he's the president. But he's already the president. That's my thing. Maybe he'd be the president. Maybe they should have checked that out before they elected his ass. They tried to. Well, they shouldn't have elected him. He's running for re-election, so maybe it's something we find out. Here we go. I spent a lot of time talking about President Obama's birth certificate or lack thereof. You don't seem convinced that he has one. No, I'm not convinced that he has one. I've had very smart people say, Donald, stay on the China issue. Stay on the Saudi Arabia issue. Stay on the India taking our jobs and the Mexico, which is NAFTA, which cleaned out New England. Get off the birth certificate issue. Why don't you? Because you know what? Three weeks ago when I started. I thought he was probably born in this country. And now I really have a much bigger doubt than I did before. But based on what? And you know what? His grandmother in Kenya said he was born in Kenya and she was there and witnessed the birth. Okay? He doesn't have a birth certificate or he hasn't shown it. He has what's called a certificate of live birth. That is something that's easy to get. When you want a birth certificate, it's very hard to get.
But it's considered the equivalent. It's not the equivalent. In the state of Hawaii, they said they have seen this document. It is evidence that he was born in the United States. That's good enough for them. A birth certificate is not even close. A certificate of live birth is not even signed by anybody. I saw his. I read it very carefully. It doesn't have a serial number. It doesn't have a signature. There's not even a signature. Do you believe he is lying? I'm starting to think that he was not born here. Do you believe he is lying, Donald? Come on, just answer. He spent two million dollars in legal fees trying to get away from this issue. And if he weren't lying, why wouldn't he just solve it? And I wish he would, because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. He may not have been born in this country. And I'll tell you what, three weeks ago, I thought he was born in this country. Right now, I have some real doubts. I have people that actually have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding. You have people now down there searching. I mean, in Hawaii. Absolutely. And they can. Go Donald is what I have to say. Oh, wow. That's shocking. Go Donald. Dude, show your birth certificate. He did. Certificate of live birth. It's different. Wow. We got a round table. Let's discuss this. What's your opinion? It's the same thing over and over again. It's ridiculous. Just show your birth certificate. That's all I have to say.
Speak your mind. Go ahead. No, I just, you know, Donald Trump is right. Why doesn't he just show it? He's right? Yes. And, you know, one of Obama's best friends was just arrested yesterday. It's just the whole thing is so weird. What does that have to do with this? Because he's hiding something. There's just too many suspicious things. And there's too many open holes. He got arrested for soliciting a prostitute. Yeah, well, you know what? What does that have to do with Obama and his birth certificate? Show it. He's got it. A certificate of live birth. It's not the same. I don't think that. Donald Trump has better resources than the federal government. Right. Thank you. They did their due diligence. Thank you. We signed him in. Then why is this still an issue? Because people are haters. They're looking for something. And they want to hate. They want to find something. Hate. Hate. Now listen. My opinion is, I voted for Barack Obama. Hasn't done the best job. Yeah. Hasn't lived up to all of my expectations for him. If he ran again, I probably wouldn't vote for him again. Probably. There's about to be a government shutdown. I probably wouldn't. But he is still the president of the United States. He is to be respected and revered. And because he's already in, dude, you get a pass. Let's say you weren't born in this country. Hey, man, they screwed up. It was a glitch. They did their research. They couldn't find it.
Whatever. He's in now. Whatever. Four years later, let's not make a big deal out of it. And of all people, the biggest douchebag in the world, Donald Trump. No question. I'll agree with you on that. I'm not the biggest fan of Donald Trump, but you know what? But you're not the biggest fan also of Obama. Well, I'm obviously not a fan of Obama. Have you ever looked at the list of things that Obama has accomplished? Oh, yeah. It's pretty amazing. It's not bad. Yeah. I mean, he was in a tough situation. Ooh, that was going to be my comment. Every president is in a tough situation. But he was left a bag of ass. Let's let Lou speak. Would anybody put in the situation that our country was in at the time of his election? do any better of a job, to a degree? Well, maybe they'll do what they said they would do. Obama's like, I'll do this, I'll do this, I'll bring back the troops. What president really does what they say they're going to do in the campaign? He tries. I mean, he's got a board of people that he has to run stuff through, and if they keep telling you no, there's only so much you can do. I'd like to know your expectations. What were they, Sienna?
Say what you're going to do. No, tell me. Obama is just a people pleaser. He just wants to say what everyone wants to hear. And then he backs away. So he's a politician. I'm going to send more troops back. He's a politician. There's a website out there that has a tracking record of the promises he's made versus the ones he's fulfilled. And he actually has a really high percentage rate for ones that he has actually fulfilled. Okay, well then we'll just agree to disagree. Because I think most people just start repeating what they hear. Like, oh, he's doing a horrible job. And it just keeps going. But if you really look at his track record, it's pretty amazing. I'm really amazed that you guys actually even talk about politics. Here's the problem with being the president of the United States. If for some... Okay, Bill Clinton, great president, bad president. What would be your vote? Well, great and bad, there's a big disparity between the two of those. Morally speaking? Okay, morally speaking, terrible. But everybody was like, man, we were in boom times with Clinton. What did Bill Clinton do to get us in boom times? It's the cycle and the circle of our country and its economy. The ebb and flow. It's the ebb and flow. And, you know, what people look at is they go, well, I'm making less money now than I used to. It's more expensive to live than I used to. Unemployment is up. You know, everything is not going great. And that stuff doesn't happen overnight. But you know who they blame? They blame the guy at the top. And that's what people like to see. And me, to a degree, are like,
Man, dude, I'm paying $4.50 a gallon for gas. We're at war. We're losing troops. It sucks. And, you know, one man can't change everything. However, he's the fall guy. And the president will always be the fall guy. He's human, but there's a few things like the offshore drilling and the hasty decision to send troops to Libya. Those are two things where I'm like, Obama, really? Come on. But overall, I think there is a lot of circumstance that plays into it where you're just like, there's the... You're the guy in charge. It falls on you. That's the unfortunate part. The Republican Party is going to have to show me a pretty good candidate because I haven't seen one out of them in years. Worth a flip. This is why I hadn't voted a whole hell of a lot since I was 18. Don't comment now. Why? I voted for Barack Obama. It's our fault as well. We put him in office. Not all of us did. I'm just saying, though. The majority. The majority. So you kind of can't sit back and go, dude, what are you doing? I mean, he didn't have a whole lot of experience. No military background. I mean, not saying all presidents did.
Hey, these are his growing pains. What do you call it? The Monday morning quarterback? Oh, yeah. The armchair quarterback. I mean, we can all sit on the sidelines and talk about what they should have done. And we do it. All of us do it. But the birth certificate thing is just so old. That's always, but it was brought up during the election. So obviously it was not that big of a deal. The powers that be, that do the due diligence to decide, okay, does this person, let me see, do I have all the people? I'm sorry, but it's like, I just think, you know, there's rules to being able to be president and he hasn't, He passed. He wouldn't be in there if he hadn't. He passed them enough. They found a way around it. He passed them enough. You can't trick. There's a lot of checks and balances in the government. There's plenty of tricks. I ain't listening to Donald Trump. Well, I'll tell you what. I'm not saying Donald Trump is the man. We have some calls. You are so upset. I'm not upset. He's the only one still bringing it up. We're going to go to the phones and find out what the callers think. How about that? In one cam. Line one. Hey, good morning. Morning. So I work for the county with Health and Human Services, and I'm an imaging specialist. And we process paperwork for the various government aid programs. And we have special templates that we use to differentiate birth certificates from Social Security cards, from driver's licenses, etc. And the template, vital statistics, vital information, is used not only for birth certificates, but for certificates of live birth.
So as far as the county of San Diego is concerned, they're the same. They're the same thing. Yeah. They're the same thing. So Trump doesn't know what he's talking about. So he doesn't know what he's saying. All those smart people he has, right? Yeah. Thank you. See? I mean, he doesn't have the government resources. Exactly. And I process hundreds of this stuff every day. Yeah, and he says his people, which, I mean, you just throw that term around. He calls up Ivanka. Hey, baby, I'm on your way home from, you know, the swan. No. Yeah. It's his people. No, look, I'm not the biggest fan of Donald Trump. But would you vote for him if he was running for president? Donald Trump? I wouldn't vote. You wouldn't vote? I don't want Obama, but I don't obviously want Donald Trump either. Oh, my goodness. Okay. Let's take another call. Let's go M1AJ downtown. That's pretty good. How's it going today, guys? What's up, bro? Question just for all of you guys. During the election and even now, something that never comes up with regards to President Obama's birth, how come no one ever talks about the fact that John McCain was born in Panama?
Because he has a U.S. birth certificate. Was he born on base? Yeah. It was in the military, yes. Like, Mikey was born in Guam, but Guam was... But he's still a U.S. Sovereign, yes. Yeah, but technically, the rules are you have to be born within the U.S. Yeah, you have to be a natural-born citizen in the continental United States. That's a good point. But when you're in the military... It's different if you're in the military. That land where our base is is sovereign. And which is with the United States. My dispute always was even if Obama was born... in Kenya, which I don't think he was, but even if he was, his parents weren't living there. They were there visiting. So there's got to be some sort of stipulation. If your parents are in Europe and they give birth to you, and your baby's not European. It shouldn't be. It shouldn't have to be. You're still a U.S. citizen. The baby gets citizenship there. If he wants to. But not if the parents didn't have the intent to live there. There has to be the intent to live there. Good call. Thanks for the call. Let's take M1 Satina. Hey, what's going on? Good morning. How are you? I'm good. How are you guys? Good. Right. Pretty much what I think about the whole thing is that they have made no other fuss about any other president in the history of the United States except for Barack Obama.
Because he's African-American. Oh my gosh. That's it. That's all it is. They have made no other fuss about any other president. People are still pissed off. Well, hold on, hold on, hold on. How about Bill Clinton? There was a fuss made about Bill Clinton. Not about his background. Don't even go back that far. Look at Bush. Look at George Bush. Look at George Bush. He was the worst president. Including Obama. She's talking about his birth and trying to get him out for... Well, because... Snorted cocaine, am I correct? Cocaine is a hell of a drink. Every president is criticized for something. The more visibility you have, the more... More people try to take you down. That's like the super fishbowl. I can only imagine that. It's the hardest job in the world. Everybody's talking about you. And blaming you. Everything's your fault. You don't make that much money. This one I don't agree with, Mike. Let's take Mike. We take people we don't agree with. Mike? Hey, what's going on? What's going on, buddy? What's your opinion on this? Well, first and foremost, I 100% agree with Deanna. Just saying. Okay. Someone. There you go. There's plenty. I know that there's a lot. If Mike was here, he would, too. He would, Josh. Okay. He totally would. Go ahead, bro. Pretty much the thing is, like, as far as where Obama's sitting now, everything that's happening right now is a reflection of Bush's
I actually should say is the product of Bush's administration. So, I mean, everyone just puts the blame on him because he's the one sitting in the hot seat. But in all reality, these are issues and problems that were created by the person before him. So, I mean, personally, I don't really like the guy. But it's been that way. It's been that way since through history. I mean, you're going to have to pick up the other person's life. I think the economic issue. But I think our foreign policy and things we're doing abroad, I wouldn't say because Bush had a firm policy abroad. And we don't have that anymore. Attack and kill. Knock them out. Knock them out. You want to mess with us? Knock them out. We're going to come get you. Yeah. We don't do that anymore. I mean, you have to judge. You have to judge somebody. Okay, for example, I'll use our radio show as an example. We've got a contract. And if at the end of that contract, we haven't done what we were supposed to do, our contract won't be renewed like a football player. If he hasn't done what he's supposed to do at the end of his contract, they don't re-sign him because he hasn't done, you have to judge them from the day they step into office based on their performance. And what they were given. Now listen, so Lou Bush went from San Diego to Kansas City, new system, new scheme, new players, new teammates, new city, and
That didn't matter. They didn't care. They wanted Lou Bush to make tackles. Period. That's it. Period. And they're going to pay you well to make those tackles. Or you don't get paid. Or you don't get paid. And so, you know, from day one, you stepped off the plane into Kansas City. You were expected to be Lou Bush, starting linebacker, knocking people's heads out. You know, and that's the way. You're only as good as your last performance. Right. That's all anybody cares about. George Bush. What is it? Oh, the picture of him getting on the helicopter wave and knowing they're going, bye, George. Right. I think some of the problems that Obama does face is he wavers a little bit because he tries to be too diplomatic. He's a people pleaser. And at least with Bush, hate him or love him, he took a firm stance and usually stayed by that. I would agree with that. And Obama wavers a little bit and goes against and he makes what I think are sometimes hasty decisions because he's just trying to please people. It's interesting. It's interesting. But he is such a young politician. Yes, he is. He was only in the Senate for 323 days. I'll tell you guys another one. There's another one that people look at as just somebody that should be revered forever, and that was John Kennedy.
John Kennedy was young. He was inexperienced. He was a popularity. He was American Idol. He was the Barack Obama of the 60s. Good looking. Good looking. You know, sharp as a tack. Yeah, it just came from this. He did a lot of good things for our country as well. Right. But I think at the time he wasn't appreciated. At the time he wasn't appreciated. I mean, you want to talk about Shady. You watch some documentaries on the Kennedy. No, his dad was a bully. There's no freaking reason he should have been in office. His dad, they made their fortune from bullying. I think he got a lot of tail. Oh, he did get a lot of tail. He definitely got a lot of tail. Jay, thanks for just grounding us. I like to bring us back to reality. We kind of confirmed that when we met his secret services. Yeah, we did. In the hallways, apparently. Yep. Wow. We had a couple of guys that guarded him. And they were there. Did they talk about the assassination? Oh, yeah. They were there. One of them was there. He was. The one that covered Jackie in the convertible after the shooting. We sat here like this. I would have loved that. You should listen. We have it on podcast. You should listen to it. It's the most compelling radio. I definitely hear that. That's incredible. One of them had never spoken about it before ever. The one that jumped over the body. What did they say about the conspiracy thing? They don't believe it. They believe it was Lee Harvey. What are they going to say?
But when you really... Well, they were retired. They can say what they want. But we asked him off the record as well. They're company men. But at the same time, when you kind of look at what kind of shot he was, Lee Harvey, he could have did that. After meeting those cats, I was like, okay, I believe. I've been to the Book Depository. It's in my hometown. Really? I've been to the Grassy Knoll. Oh, yeah, dude. I've been the whole Kennedy tour. If you ever go to Big D, don't go to Dallas without going on the Kennedy tour. They haven't... You know, it's the creepiest thing. They have an X on the street. Wear the shot. On the street, painted. Let's take one more call. This is a big topic. Let's take M1 Daniel from Oceanside. Daniel. Hey, how are you guys? What's up, brother? Hey, yeah, I just wanted to tell you guys. I was really bummed out when I heard the other day that someone said it would take a full-time job to correct Sienna and the things she said during that. Well, this is one of those moments, Sienna. I think this is one of those moments that, you know, you really need to take minutes to know that that's a myth. You know, that's a debunked myth. You know what, dude? I appreciate what you're saying about Obama's birth certificate, but everyone has an opinion, and until you see a birth certificate... Yeah, I know that everyone has an opinion, but not everyone is entitled to just make up the lies and just put them on national TV and not have it be challenged. There's a reason it's in the news. Was it debunked, though? Was it in fact debunked? Yeah, about the grandmother saying that, and that no one knew him when he was a kid.
He has like kindergarten teachers. He's got like classmates. His grandma never said that. Like all it takes is like five. Five minutes to go find out the truth. And, you know, like the fact that she listened to Donald Trump and actually. No, hold it. I say, look, he could have easily put this to rest a long time ago. Yes. Hey, here's the birth certificate. If you made it this far, you know, it's someone else's, you know, mess up. It's someone else's. Exactly. That's what we said. And I've read online. I agree with that part. You know, like, I don't think he fooled like thousands of people. And you don't think McCain challenges. You don't think the Clintons challenged it. You don't think they went after him. You know. You know, not everyone likes Obama. No, that's what we said earlier. That's what we were saying. I don't think that he fooled like half. I don't think Americans are that dumb. And I don't think, you know, I think Donald Trump is dumb. And I think anyone that believes him is dumb. And that's all I have to say. That was just my comment real quick. Well, Donald's rich. He can't be too dumb. I think you're thinking because I heard Donald Trump say that. I just agree with him. And this is the first time I've ever said that. No, this has been an issue for years. And Donald Trump is saying something that I've been thinking along with a lot of other people.
And I have a right to my opinion. Doesn't mean I'm wrong or you're wrong. Okay. The only thing I should just say, and this goes for what people think about Obama and his last comment about Sienna is glass houses. You know, I mean, the fishbowl. Yeah. And, you know, you just can't cast judgment on somebody until you're in that position. Yeah. Someone said I was a bad news girl because of a comment about Will Smith. That doesn't mean anything. Hot topic. When we get back, we're going to play the audio from the, I don't know if you guys heard about this, LeBron James, his mom, and the valet. We actually have some audio. Yeah, I did it. We'll be right back. Your voice be heard now. That stuff's hooey. You got to have a screw loose to go in for that sort of thing. Call 570-49. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. I don't admit very often when I'm wrong. Sienna. I have the fastest wiener dog on the planet. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. Look at you. Fading the music real nicely. See? Oh, that was a little rough, dude. That was a little rough.
I did it on purpose. I did it on purpose. That was a little rough. That was a hot top there, huh? Man. You got to see some heat in the studio. Got the blood flowing there. We weren't mad at each other. No, no. As adults, we should always be able to talk about our parents. And with politics, there's always an argument. You know what we should talk about this break? Religion. No! He's joking. How about finances? Would be a short conversation in my book. Like $7 in the bank. Speaking of short, Mikey's not here. He's on vacation and Lou Bush is in here filling in. I love you, Mike. He's going to play that all day. Come on, I love it. Come on, what do you eat? Egg burrito. Egg burrito? Homemade. Oh, yeah. Bacon in it. Turkey bacon. A little onion. A little onion. Is it turkey bacon? Homegrown onions. Onions from your backyard? The guy who doesn't spend a nickel if he doesn't have to. Did you buy that Bone Thugs shirt, Jay? That was given to me. Radio giveaway. Did you put it on? Did you think Lula liked this? I did. He was working on his Humpty impression.
Putting on his boat. My name is Humpty. I like my oatmeal lumpy. I'm sick of this. It's the best. It's the greatest thing ever. Because he gets eaten. Yeah. He gets like real gangsta. Oh my goodness. Lou, have you paid attention yet to when we play sound effects and when Jay mouths the words to the sound effects? It's so funny. Next time he plays a drop, just go look at his face. Watch his mouth. He goes. He looks like a bad ventriloquist. Yeah. I'm not doing it anymore. Yeah, you are. You can't help yourself, dude. Sienna, what's going on in the news? This is a story that caught my attention this morning. In Hawaii, there was a remote Kauai beach and two women were rescued after a tour helicopter spotted SOS written in the sand. Wow. Mikey was in the helicopter. Mikey spotted. Mikey wrote a big TB on there. Tommy Bahama. He's like, no, I don't need your help. I'm just driving TV. These are two women that accessed the beach. You could only get to it by hiking or from water. And apparently they were hiking. Yeah, and there was rain, heavy rain the night before. So one of them was injured and they put SOS on the stand because they couldn't get back. And a helicopter spotted them. They sent an air crew over there, picked them up and expected to be okay. SOS. Okay, hold on. How did you get injured from heavy rain though?
It's a really strenuous hike. I've been there before. No big deal. I've seen it on TV. It's on the Nepali coast and you can only get there either by taking a helicopter to see it, a boat to see it, or by foot. And it's pretty strenuous. You actually have to have a permit to go pretty far into it. Do you do a workout to get the permit? No, no, no. What is strenuous? It's very strenuous. That's a big climb. I know. I know. I know it's strenuous. Lots of rock. Okay, I wasn't sure what you meant by that. It goes up and down and up and down. Okay. It's beautiful, but it's genuine. Woodsy? Yes, sir. Sportsies? Well, it's going to be a fun weekend here in San Diego. The L.A. Dodgers are coming to town to take on the Padres. First game is tonight, 7.05 at Petco Park. You'll see Ted Lilly against Clayton Richards, a couple of lefties tonight. Should be a good battle. Tony Gwynn Jr. will be coming back to...
play at Petco, but he will be playing for the Dodgers, which will be a little weird when they announce his name. He'll still get a hometown applause. He got bad at about 205 here. I don't know how much applause, more applause for him not being here anymore, I think. But, you know, hey, it's weird to have a Tony Gwynn in a uniform other than a Dodgers uniform, that's for sure. And it's been reported that Steelers quarterback Big Ben Roethlisberger will, in fact, stop his evil ways, possibly his alleged evil ways. He's going to get married. to Ashley Harlan, a 26-year-old physician's assistant. They will be getting married July 23rd, one week before Steeler's fake training camp, since there will be no training camp this year. And he has known her for about six years. She's known him through all of the trials and tribulations he's gone through. And, you know, hey, hopefully it works out and he gets his stuff together and, you know, is a good, upstanding dude. We looked at a picture of her this morning, and I was like, oh, my gosh, she's so cute. And then no one agreed with me. Yeah, she's fun. She looks like Carrie Underwood.
She looks like Carrie Underwood's butt. Oh my gosh. She's not cute. She is adorable. She looks like a hometown girl. Girl next door. She's real. That's what it is. He's tired of being a player. I think after the last episode. Yeah, he's like, I got to settle down right now. His coaches are probably like, you marry that girl. You better marry her son of a bitch. I'm sure his mom was like, you need to do what you need to do. So if you're her dad, are you a little like, oh boy, oh boy. And I know everything's been alleged and I'm not hating on him, so don't freak out. But are you a little bit skeeved? You are, but I think you're so stoked about all the box seats to Steelers games that you don't even care. He's from Pennsylvania. I'm going to disagree with that. Really? Being a father and my daughter is beautiful. I will say that. I'm going to... You doing a background check on Guy? Oh, of course. You would be a serious dad. No, I'm not going to threaten him so much. I'm going to make sure he understands.
That if she cries, he's dead. You're going to beat up his dad. Yeah, you're going to beat up his dad. I'm going to beat up your dad. But that'd be hard because he's, you know, an NFL. He's 6'6", too. He's a big dude. I'd have to train for that. He's a truck. I might be at that point. I'm going to probably, you know. You could probably take Roethlisberger's dad on at this point. You must be kidding. Put Big Ben down, son. Has your daughter had a boyfriend yet? No. Not to my knowledge. And she's 16? Yeah. Not to my knowledge. She's not allowed until she's 18. She's going to be, you know what? She's going to be one of those, and I'll show you a picture before I get out of here. She's going to be one of those. Jay! You can be the first. You can be the first in a long time. Jay, you're going to get put in the ground. Put you to sleep with me. Stop moving. You think you can choke him out? I would. He would kill him with one hand. I would choke him. I could raise him up the wall with one arm. I want Lou to choke me out. Me too. Can you give me the slavery? Can you give me the sleeper? Is that something we can do on the air? Can you give me the sleeper? I'll let you. Really? Yeah, I'll let him. Me and my kids would wrestle. I was a big wrestling fan growing up. We would put pillows on the floor. I actually had a belt. The fake WWF.
And we would wrestle, and I would beat my kids down. Yeah, sign me up for that. You're going to get me in trouble over here. I know. Will you give me the sleeper hold? I will put you to sleep. Do it. No, do you not. Yes. Okay, okay. Okay. Let's get back on track. No. No. No, I'm not going to do that. Let's do it. Why do you guys want to see him choke to death? Because he wants it. Will he come back immediately? I'm not going to do that. That's just proof. Let's talk about it. He does it with his belt all the time anyway. Oh, wow. This is one time. Yeah. Jay. That was, Mikey would have killed you for that. Oh, he would have, oh, he's listening, you know that. Is he? Do you guys think he is listening? Yes, he is. What time is it in Hawaii right now? 4.12. It's three hours. Well, he's finishing the Tommy Bahama Buffet right now. Yes. Three hours. Is he behind? He's three hours behind? Mm-hmm. Oh, he's in a coma right now. Well, he's been up since one o'clock, their time, which would be about four. At the Tommy Bahama Disco? Yeah. Time to bomb a disco. Definitely. Oh, boy. I was just saying, if you wanted to give me the sleeper, I'd let you. Let's talk about it over the break. We'll convince Lou. Okay. Dude, this caught my eye last night. LeBron. Yeah. James' mother. Caught my eye. Oh. Oh. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. I can't help it. His mom is tripping. His mom. Dude, I read something. And, you know, I know that we're not supposed to.
spread gossip and whatnot. But listen, it was on a website. Is this allegedly? So you know it's true. Have you heard the rumor? Have you heard the rumor about his mom and one of his former teammates? Did you ever hear that rumor? Disgusting. Did you hear that, Lou? Dude, that is... Did you hear it? That's foul. I heard it. I can't believe that. Delonte West, who was his teammate in Cleveland. Who is now a Celtic. Yes. That was the big rumor around Cleveland is that his teammate was sleeping with his mom. Don't spread rumors. Look, it's on Huffington Post. That ain't me, kid. But Huffington, come on, man. Huffington Post is legit. They've never posted anything. Absolutely in quotes. Absolutely? Because it's a quote from somebody. Isn't that crazy, though? He did leave the following year. Yeah, absolutely. His mother, his mother's been, she's been in trouble. She got a DUI, I think. She's been arrested again. And now she's assaulted a valet. Jay, we have the audio. Yeah, we have the audio. I got to hear this. Oh, poor God. Here we go. Let's listen to this. Why did she slap you in the face? Was she upset with you for some reason? Was she upset about not getting her car? Yeah, the reason why she was upset, because I bought her car, like, for 30 minutes, the car was waiting, and she was talking to two other ladies.
And she was talking. I came to call her. I said, ma'am, your car will be waiting for like 30 minutes. Can you come to get your car? Because your car cannot stay more than 30 minutes. And she said, oh, I paid $20 for my car. My car is supposed to stay over there. And when she came, my supervisor told me go around. I go around like twice. When I came, my supervisor told me pack the car. And I dropped the key. When I dropped the key, she come to me. She said, can I have my keys? I said, can you wait, man, because I'll be waiting for you for 30 minutes. She said, f*** to me. Oh, wow. Did that hurt? How did you feel when this happened? Well, I feel very bad because America, you know, this is a country. People cannot slap people. Since I'm born, my brother, my mom, my dad, nobody ever slapped me. That's the first time I was very mad. Those guys, Valley Parking, was working with me. They're so bad. Police say she was intoxicated. She had been drinking. Yeah, she was drinking. What are you going to do now? What do you want to say to her about this? What would you say to her if she were right next to you? No, I don't want to say nothing. My lawyer is going to say it. My lawyer is going to say it. You don't think this is the way anybody should behave, right? No, it's not a good way. It's not a good way to behave. Like people that treat people with respect.
You feel somewhat humiliated? A valet? Yeah, I'm very, very humiliated. Because she taunted me again. You know who I am? She taunted me? Oh, he's got all the keywords in there. I said, I need justice. Justice. I need justice. Wow, he, uh... He's talked to an attorney, definitely. Oh, yeah. Hey, some broad slaps you, man. You're trying to give her your car. He's traumatized. People are crying. Hey, the guy sees a payday, man. He's like, I'm going to go get it. No, it's LeBron's mom. It's not LeBron. Doesn't matter. Where do you think she gets her dough from? Yeah, but it's not, like I said, it's my mom. Where do you think she gets her dough? Dude, you're going to sue her for whatever. Why is she going to file bankruptcy? Mom, I got you. I got you. Go ahead and file. Don't worry about it. I got you. You can only ask for as much as that person can give. Exactly. So it's like, come on, man. Yeah. Yeah, that's. He's hoping LeBron gives him a call and goes, all right, pal. I'm going to give you a couple hundred grand. Sleep this out of the rug. Let's just go away. But LeBron, that's got to be so embarrassing. Oh, yeah. It was in the morning, right? And she was drunk already? 430. What'd they say? I don't remember.
I bet what's happening is that valet had a crush on a female valet and he was embarrassed that he got slapped in front of his crush. He's like, you're going to play me out like that? I'm going to sue you. You're reaching. He said people were crying. I bet that's what happened. He said his friends saw it. I would have fell out laughing. I would have died. They were crying from laughing. I would have fell on the floor laughing. You just got slapped. You got slapped. Oh. Wow. How much do you think he's going to sue her for? A couple hundred grand. No way. For a slap? For damage? Yes, he is. Yes, he is. He already laid the foundation. I was traumatized. Embarrassed. My friends were crying. I was embarrassed. He's going to quit his job. I can't go back to work. I would laugh in his face if I was a judge. Of course you would. Are you okay, little guy? You okay? You hurt himself? Big bad lady slapped you. Oh, my goodness. Wow. A little splinter. Little guy. So, Santa, you want to talk about this? Explain yourself.
You guys have played this obviously before? Oh, yeah. No, we never played it before. Oh, okay. Please explain. But it's a new topic that we have. Maybe see how it goes. But we want everyone to call in. And we have a couple topics. I was driving around the other day. And I see this all the time. I'm sure you guys do too. The stuffed animals in the car. Yes. Explain yourself. Yeah, please. 570-1949. We want you to call in. Do you have this stuffed animals in your car? Or I want to know why. What do you put them? These strange things that we see. They'll be in the back window all over the place. Sometimes they'll be on the front dashboard. On the dashboard. They're everywhere. And it's the same kind of rationale with the bumper stickers that cover the entire back of the car. Explain yourself. Explain yourself. But what, like. What's so special about those stuffed animals is that they need to be on display in your car. I want a parent to call in and do you put the bumper sticker on that your kid brings home from school? I am an ace dude. My mom put that on her car. My mom is the queen. She had, at one point, I had five kids in five different schools. It was what she always used to tell people. And she had all of our schools on there. Is it a station wagon? No, it was a minivan and then it was like a Jeep Cherokee. But my dad would be like, really?
We've gotten the bumper sticker for my stepdaughter in school and I told her it's not going on the car. On a new car would you put the sticker on your new car? Some moms would though. Just a Mikey show sticker. That's the only one I'd put on there. On your new car? Yeah, it's the only one worth a flip. Put a Mikey show sticker on your car. I am only putting... Some laced up rims. You're not a Mikey Show fan. On my car. Weird. No bumper stickers. You got rims? Do you have rims? No, not anymore. I'm over that. Yeah! It's time. You got one more time? You got one more time? Uh-oh. I'm going to choke you out. He's going to choke me out. Another thing I want explained is... And you see it still all the time. The Bluetooth in your ear. Even when you're not on the phone. Yeah, what are you, a robot? Like, just take it out. You're not on the phone. How hard is it to just pop it out of your ear? Must take call. But how many times have you been somewhere and someone will be talking? The grocery store? Pardon me? Yeah, what? And they go. Did that seriously just happen? This is funny, you guys. I went to the store yesterday. I went to Stater Brothers and I'm going in to get some groceries.
I'm walking out. No, was I at Stater Brothers? No, I was in 7-Eleven getting a can of snuff. And I look out, and there's this pretty cute blonde girl. And she is smiling at me, and I'm like, damn, yeah, the kid's still got it. I'm like, I am losing weight. I'm back in the gym. I'm like, look at me. People are noticing. She is grinning at me from ear to ear, like looking. I'm like, gosh. Look at me. So I go over to my car and then I see her get out of her car. She's got a Bluetooth on. She's been talking on the phone. She's laughing with her girlfriend. I was like, oh. But what bothers me even more is when you're having a conversation with someone and they are actually talking to you, but yet the Bluetooth is in there. And I'm like, oh my God. Take it out. Take it out. What are you, Garth Brooks? Spitting me out. Oh, we got a call. And one other Lauren calling from Claremont. Hey, Lauren. Hi. Hey, I met you at your Face It the other night. Oh, yes, yes, yes. How are you? I'm good. Well, anyway, I'm also a nanny on the side of working at 24 Hour Fitness. Oh. And I keep some stuffed animals in the back of my car for when I have my kids in my car. But wait, are you the person that puts them on display? You know what we're talking about, right? Well.
I guess I'm kind of a kid on the side of it, so I kind of sit them together. You don't put the seatbelt on them or anything like that, right? No, no, no. They're up high so that you can see them on the back or on the dashboard so that anyone driving by sees your cute stuffed animals. They know it's me. They're like, oh, it's that girl. It's the girl with the stuffed animals. It's that crazy broad with the animals in the back of his car. Can you tell us the stuffed animals? I'm just kidding. I love you. Do you know exactly which ones are in there right now? I have a huge fluffy. Stitch from Lilo and Stitch that I have back there. Who doesn't? Exactly. I love this. Keep going. I want to crawl inside your brain. Keep going. Keep going. Nice beaver. You laughed. You laughed. Boy, can you tell Mikey he's out of town? Let her continue. Okay, what else do you have? I have a couple of little like mice dolls that they do the three blind mice on with. It's pretty funny. The mice? Do they have names? Yeah, of course. They don't. Thank you. I was concerned. Good names. Anytime they're in the car, they tell me they want me to do the stitch voice while they're holding it. So I always do the stitch voice. All right, let's hear the stitch voice. Let me hear the stitch voice. That's really good. Oh, my God. Isolate. I'll read it again so it's clean. One more time. Okay, ready? One, two, three.
Freaking brilliant. Caller of the year so far. Have you guys seen Lilo in 6? Yes. Nope. That was good. I don't even know what it is. I loved it. He's an alien. Thanks, Jay. That is awesome. Thanks, Lauren. Thank you for the call. Thank you. That was brilliant. And with Dodgeball. Line 2. Wow. Let's take line 2 here. Mr. Dodgeball. Sierra Mesa. What's going on, guys? I used to keep a stuffed monkey in the back handle in the back seat. And I used to keep him in the window. You could totally see him in the window. Why? Did he have a name? I got it from a kid. I worked with kids. That's true. One of the kids gave it to me. That's cool. I wouldn't do it. You wouldn't do that. But it's cool. I mean, it's probably cool looking monkey. What kind of monkey was it? It was just, he had kind of long arms and long legs and I don't know what type of monkey. Oh, did he have like Velcro arms? Kind of like a rally monkey. Yeah, he had a little Velcro arms. The hands have Velcro arms. Supposed to hang around your neck. Yeah. Rally monkey. Really? O'Reilly? O'Reilly, Jay just said, by the way. In case you guys missed that, Jay just said, O'Reilly. You're a nerd. Thanks, Dodgeball. Thanks, Dodgeball. Oh, boy. Interesting.
I don't know how I would feel if I got into a car with a guy. Maybe I just started dating and there was a monkey. I know exactly how you feel. I'd say let me out. Woman repeller. Do you remember those crowns that everybody had on their desk for a while? Yes. Explain yourself. Wait, crowns or crayons? Crowns. What are crowns? It was a crown. It was an air freshener, I think. It was an air freshener. What? But it was a crown. Do you really smell that bad that you have to have an air freshener on your desk? You remember the crown? No. You guys never saw the crown air freshener? Maybe it was a Texas thing. A big Texas thing. I don't know. I have the big pimp logo. The chrome crown. No, you didn't. Yeah, in the back. With hydraulics. You never had hydraulics. Come on, man. You did? I wanted the crickets so bad. I just didn't know what to say there. I was like, yeah! Because you believed it! I know. I believed it as well. I wasn't sure. Come on, I'm just... Okay, never mind. So the two people that called said it was because they work with kids. Do you believe that? I believe they were the only people brave enough to call and defend themselves. The other ones are like, well, I just like them. They're my friends. Jay, do you have any animals in your car? No. Come on, dude. He has a skull sticker on the back of his car. That's right. I mean business. Oh, wow. Okay, when we come back, Kate Hudson was spotted doing something recently that has people very...

Departing clouds, still fairly cloudy out there, but it does look like the cold front is passing us by. We've got a mix-up, sloppy swell mix of west and northwest wind and ground swell, along with some more dominant south-southwest swell in there as well. Plenty of size to be had. Chest shoulder high on average, head high plus at standout spots. But those westerly winds that blew so strong yesterday and through the night continue on through this morning. So all areas are pretty much blown out, choppy, and sloppy. Got to take at least a day or so to clean up. You think about going out today, you've got to be a full desperado to do so. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I love guacamole. Lauren. And I'm a klutz and an idiot. Woods. I cry more than my wife. Sienna. I would just scream, not because I was sad, just to hear myself scream. And Jay. I like my coffee black. On FM 94.9. Who is this? Gnarle Sparkle. You know that. Why can't you say it? Jay would call it Gnarle Sparkle. Oh yeah, that's Gnarle Sparkle. Canarl's Barking. Canarl's Bone Thugs. Hi, Jay. Hello. Hey, bud. What's up, dude? Was that better? My fade? Yeah, that's good. So we want to tell everybody about our friend Jared over at Create Your Design Online. He has a site. Jared? That's Jared. Jared. Sorry.
Jared. There you go. As I would say, Jared. He has a site called portraitprince.net. What he does is turn a picture into what looks like a painting stretched on canvas. We have a couple of them here in the studio. See that right there, Lou? That's the Mikey show there. We've got one behind us. They're amazing. So it's portraitprince.net. You've got to check it out. This guy does amazing work, and it's something that you can hang up on your wall. Take that favorite picture you got and turn it into a portrait. Yeah, give it to your old lady for her birthday. She'll love it. Mother's Day is coming up. Mother's Day is coming up. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. That's nice. Jared's the man, too. He knocks stuff out real quick. He is our graphic designer extraordinaire. Oh, man. That's really cool, dude. He's the quickest in the middle. That one over the couch is nice. That's awesome. I did one for my family. We took a beach portrait of the whole family, and then he did that to it. I was a hero. Were you all in khakis and white t-shirts? No, we were not. You had your shirt off, didn't you? Nope. Kim did. Your wife did. Kim did, which is appropriate. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Kim, show me them tees. Oh, wow. She's got some really. Wow. You're going to get in trouble, dude. Bring on the big ones. Kate Hudson, as we said, for the break there.
Smooth segue. What did she? You got one more. I might just choke you out. I'm ready. Choke him out. Lou Bush is in here filling in for Mikey, and he's doing a great job. Yes. But we still want you to choke out Woods. Yes. Please. Every day. Please. Choke him out. You don't do it, I will. Choke him out. Woods wants you to do it. Choke out wood. Okay, yeah. So Kate Hudson, she was spotted in Buenos Aires with her baby daddy. Where was she at? Where was she? Easy over there, Mikey. Buenos Aires. Oh, my God. My friend lives there. Can you get the sombrero, please? My friend lives there, so I'm going to try and say it correctly. Somebody would have corrected you had you not. Argentina. They would have corrected me if I said Buenos Aires. Buenos Aires. Well, anyway, she was there, Kate Hudson, with her baby daddy boyfriend, Matt Bellamy, who is in Muse. She is also pregnant. That's why baby daddy. And she was spotted drinking...
quote, large glass of red wine. You are a smelly pirate hooker. As I know, being pregnant, people give you a hard time if you're spotted doing anything, you know, that people say you're not supposed to do. Probably a good reason. Yeah, I had Bananas Foster, which is cooked with alcohol, and a woman came up to me. Are you serious? Yeah, a woman came up to me in a restaurant. In a restaurant. What did you say, though? She got upset because she was pregnant and hormonal and she was scared. You cried, didn't you? You should have just let all that rage just come out of you. I was just completely in shock. I would have cussed her out. Get out of my face. But I was one of those pregnant women that was overly cautious. I didn't drink. I like myself a glass of wine at night. Didn't have it. Didn't have a beer. They say a glass of wine is okay. New studies are saying that any amount of alcohol is not good. Well, there's always both. That's like one of those things that, you know. She wasn't drinking a 40. I mean, she had some sane eyes on the corner. She was having a glass of red wine and people are upset and saying. She was puffing a black. I'd have been like, dude. Could have been. Well, I mean, I don't, you know, let's put it this way. If my wife was doing it, I'd be like, let's keep it to a minimum. Like a low, low minimum. And for all we know, it was like grape juice. I think she's a dirty bird.
No, it was wine. It was wine. Yeah. And I think, I mean, it's her second kid. So I don't know. I think, I think when you, the more you have, the more comfortable you are and you kind of know what your body can, can take and not take. Like maybe I would have a glass of wine next time I'm pregnant. I mean, not more than that, but. And her mom is Goldie Hawn and she probably was like, when I had you, I was on quaalude sauce. Yeah. You're fine. You're fine. It's totally fine. Yeah. Well, people like to make a big deal out about stuff. I'd say if your doctor says it's okay, then you do what your doctor says, not what all those fools out there say. Yes. Exactly. And while we're talking about kids, I have a big issue that's coming up that I wanted M1's help with. Now, this is something that is just taking over my every thought. I have a seven-month-old baby. Her name is Sage, if you don't know. That's my Sage. That's my Sage. She's a... The best baby during the day. Love the name, by the way. Thank you. She's the happiest baby to cue. This is me singing to her. That's Helen Keller singing to your baby, actually. She likes when I sing it in that voice. That was Helen Keller singing a lullaby to Sienna's baby. I'll wash my hair in the shower and be like, I play it on the guitar. Okay, but.
We, you know, on the show, share our personal lives. And this is something that's going on with me and my husband. And it's really, really difficult is she's seven months old and she still is not sleeping through the night. Not even close. She, you know, at four months, our pediatrician said, you can put her in the crib and let her cry it out. At four months, they should be fine. I tried that and I was. It's brutal. It's brutal. No, I sat out that door and I bawled. I couldn't do it. I fell apart. And my mom, I talked to my mom about it because I don't really have any friends that have kids. Not close friends, so I don't really... You get to hear all this stuff. So I asked my mom. My mom said, you know, I did it six months when you guys were little. Because babies are a little bit tougher then. And so now Sage is seven months. And I've been putting it off because of the crazy job I have. And sleep is really important. The guilt. Yeah. And I wake up at, you know, 3 a.m. So I'll do whatever I can to help her sleep through the night and help me sleep through the night. But now I've told myself, this vacation, we're off next week. I'm letting her cry. And I want...
help and opinions and what to do. Some people say, you know, you put the baby in there and you just leave and you let him cry the whole night. But I'm like, how do I do that? It's called ferberizing, right? No, the ferber method is going in after a few minutes and saying it's okay and then you leave. My sister did that. And then you go back in after another certain amount of time. It's okay, but you never pick them up. You don't feed them. You don't touch them. You don't touch them. You just say it's okay. You soothe them. First kid, it was tough. We did that. We were like crying. I was like, oh, we should go in. Next kid, we're like, you want to go to bed? Okay. It'll be okay. Yeah, it'll be okay. They'll be all right. Yeah, they're tough. But this is my first. Sienna, earplugs, kid. Earplugs. No. You can't. You can't. Earplug it up. She needs to know if something's really wrong. Yeah, and I mean, we have one of those video monitors, so you can see her in the crib. So good, earplugs. But the video monitor, it shows her crying. And I'm telling you, I'm the worst. That baby cries and I'm right there to pick her up. So I mean, for months, I've known this vacation is coming and I've been preparing myself. And now tonight is initially the night I'm supposed to start. And I'm terrible. Well, they say in the first three months, babies are crying.
purely out of reaction. It's always a necessity. It's always about something that they absolutely need taken care of and they can't communicate. But after that six month period, you're setting up the expectation. And if she cries, you respond. She knows that she has me wrapped around her finger and I know I have to stop it. Lou, you have four kids. It's very difficult. Especially with the first one. Like Jay said, I think your first one is just pure hit or miss. You just gotta learn it. If you don't do it or start it now, in my opinion, it's going to be harder later. That's true. What bottle? I mean, you're setting yourself up to, well, you're making an excuse for. She still like all have two four ounce bottles that I give her at night. So she has a total of about eight ounces and she drinks them at night. So in my mind, I'm like, you know, is she going to be starving? No. I'm reading more and more. They're saying that the babies are going to be fine. And so I'm just like, any help you could give me, any advice you can give me, I would love it. We got some. Good. Thank you. Becca. Becca. Hi, guys. Hi. Hey, I'm calling from Kingwood, Texas. Hi, Becca. This is my friend, Becca. Hi, Texas. Hi. Kingwood. I dated a girl in Kingwood. Thanks. Thanks, Joe. Had a threesome with her. Do you have advice? Yes. I have a six-month-old baby.
And what we did at about four months was we just kept her up for about four hours before we wanted her to go to bed. And, like, even if she'd start to get really tired, we'd just play with her, and then we'd give her bath time, and then we'd feed her and just let her cry it out. She literally cried for about maybe 15 or 20 minutes. And she was sleeping seven hours. And then now she's sleeping 10 hours through the night. Wow. Sienna would kick a guy in the balls for a seven to 10 hours sleep. Like every kid is different, though, because my husband had I have a stepdaughter and this wasn't an issue with her. You know, Sage is very alert and she's so happy during the day. She's not tired. She's not exhausted. She's very happy and a really good baby. But she just. wakes up, and she doesn't stay awake at night. She's... But if you can get her to the point of exhaustion, like Becca's saying, for those first couple nights, maybe you just will condition her to like... She's so wiped out. She sleeps through the first night. She's like, oh, I made it. It's Jay. I'd put her on a paddleboard. I'd put her on a paddleboard right now. I know she's seven months, but I'd put her little ass on a treadmill because I ain't dealing with it. Wear her out. You understand? I ain't dealing with it. I'd make her run, ride a bike.
I put her on a mountain bike. Yeah, I guess my main question is, you know, do people recommend the Ferber method but going in there every few minutes? Or some people are telling me that that's wrong and don't do that because then they'll just expect you to keep coming back and just let them cry. So I'm like, I just... Oh, hey. Wow. Hey, how's it going, guys? What are you doing, dude? Not too much. Just getting, actually, heading out the door ahead of the school. Help me. Oh, honey, honey, it's always rough. My first is 14 months old, and, you know, it was a bit of a challenge, and it's hard to listen to him cry, but the last thing you want to do is go in there every two to three minutes. Yeah, but did you go in there at all, or did you just let him rough it out the whole night? It kind of depended.
What we did is we walked her around and held her until she was just about asleep, real tired. And then later down, if she woke up and cried, we'd usually put the limit on 30 to 45 minutes. And sometimes she would cry that long. Wow. That's how it was when Sage was four months and I couldn't do it. Hey, give her a punching bag. Make her punch a punching bag. It's brutal. It's brutal. But you know what my dad did? My dad actually took my mom outside and held her. and kept her from going inside. Oh, my gosh. And sometimes that's necessary. It's really, really rough, especially for mothers, but it's something you've got to do. And if after a half an hour or 40 minutes she's still crying, you can go in there and pick her up and soothe her and try to put her down again. But now, like the other caller said, my daughter, she sleeps 10 hours a night. Oh, my gosh. If we put her down, she might coo for about five, six minutes, turn on her little aquarium, and then after that she's asleep. So you have to be in it as a couple. You have to make a pact. I've been saying, God, brace yourself because I am going to be a train wreck. He has to hold you no matter what. Thanks for that one. Thank you. Dude, that's hard.
Do you pick her up? Do you take her in your room then? Oh, yeah. I let her sleep with me. I am spoiled. And I always said, like, I'm not going to be the mom that does that. But I couldn't help myself. And especially with the job that I have, I was like, whatever gives me the most sleep because I wake up at 3 a.m. and I'm so desperate and I have to come to work and perform. And my son was a screamer. I mean, we used to do that, bring him in the room. And he, when he got older, he would lose his. Oh, that's tough. Mama Nikki. Mama Nikki. Hey, guys. Hi. Nikki, you're going to have already your baby sleeping. You know what? He does. This is our third. Yeah. It's my third. But you know what? My first and my third are a whole different story because my first, I read Baby Wise. I don't know if you've heard of that. Yep. Everyone's told me about it. It didn't work for me. Okay. Well, even if you don't follow that, like exactly, which is. When they wake up from their nap, you feed them, keep them awake for a while, and then lay them down. So even though, like, with that cycle, they'll eventually get on some kind of, something with their metabolism makes them able to sleep longer through the night. So I don't know what her feeding schedule looks like, but it's never too late to just, you know, don't look at the clock. Just during her day, during her wake cycle, feed her right when she wakes up, let her play for however long, and then take a nap. And then do that all day long.
And then at night when you need to let her cry it out, with my first, it was like 15 minutes and I couldn't do anymore. But then now with Jude, my last one, it was heartbreaking. Like that five minutes I had to go in there and put it past Tina's mouth. You know, I couldn't handle it. So, you know what, I don't think what matters is how often you go in there when they're crying. I think it's like what the day looks like. that makes them ready to have a solid night's sleep in the evening. So focus on what the day looks like and make sure she gets all her feedings at a certain amount of time. And then when it's time for her to lay down, does she take a passy? Yeah. Okay. If the passy falls out of their mouth, I always go back in and put the passy in because that's comforting. Because they can't fall asleep if they don't have comfort. Yeah. That's good advice. Thank you for the call. Thank you. Gosh. Wow. Some good advice, though. Yeah, well, moms especially. I mean, it's just what I'm going. I can't describe what I'm going through. It is like tearing me apart. And it's all I think about. And I know that it's coming to me. And it's like makes me want to cry already just thinking about it. Sleep deprivation will make you ultimately make the decision to do what you got to do. Oh, yeah. I'm exhausted. I don't sleep at night. You got a thousand yard stare like. Oh, my. Try one thing that the doctor told my sister was like, take her favorite.
blankie or whatever and for like a couple hours before she goes down, maybe keep it on your chest or something. So it smells like me. It smells like you and then put her down with that. That's a good idea. Well, I know that the phones are like blowing up right now and we can't probably go to all of the calls, but if you can, email me. I need all the help I can get and when we come back from vacation, I'll let you guys know how it goes. My fake baby cries all the time. You should see this fake baby cry. You should see it. It keeps me up all night. It's going to go through. Wood said an adoption. It did not go through, but he will be a dad. My wife last night sent out the email to get started again. Good. That's great. Yes, it is great. It is great. Fabulous. Go to Russia. No. No. Can't. Why? That's too long to get into, but we can't go to Russia. How about just have a surrogate? Why don't you knock somebody up? She won't let me. I said, babe, listen. We need a kid. Find like a 19-year-old girl. Stop. It's for procreation. You are a monster. I could maybe give you best of both worlds and I could be from Russia and also be surrogate. Yeah, how much do I have to pay you though? You pay me in one night of love make. Okay, I could probably do that. For maybe me and you.
Is my wife involved? She can join if she wants to. Oh, wow, video camera. I have different expectations for that. I would like at least a hot towel massage. Okay, yeah, we can do that. Maybe one bottle of vodka. Will you get that done? Before the baby's born, not after. Right, well, listen, we just run this by the missus and we're good to go. We'll do love make over and over again until we make sure I make baby. Be fine with me. Okay, sounds like a date. Sounds like a planner. Yeah, so we're going to get started again. It's expensive. It will be worth it. When you say expensive. Well, okay, I'll tell you where we're at now. We're down 19 grand. Makes me want to blow my head off. That's why I'm like, I can't do this again. We lost it. And I got a check back yesterday. Got some of our money back. $500. I was like... And that's just for them to look for? No, 10 is for them to look. 9, we lost.
Woods, I mean, they went through the adoption process. They found a birth mother. The birth mother, you know, loved them. And then the week before the baby was born, she decided to keep the baby. I mean, it was very rough. Emotional. They had a baby shower. They had everything. It was awful. Did she owe you money? The birth mother? No. She wasn't paying her. She wasn't getting any money, but that agency better fork it up. But if you paid someone. We're going to be in litigation. Yeah, as you should be. Get that money back. Woods and Jamie will be the best parents. Yeah, it'll be great. Oh, look at that. It's going to happen. They went through a really, you know. It's hard. I can't imagine. It's a tough time. So to try again is difficult. Yeah, last night she goes, all right, that's it. I'm sending the email. So she sent the email. I go, all right. New agency this time though, right? We were going back to our search firm who found us, Chelsea, in the first place. And we're going to go back to them, the birth mom. And, you know, we have a...
basically a credit with those guys. They're going to work again, but we're going to go to another agency, get a home study done, all that stuff completed before anything goes out. So we'll have a home study done. We won't be rushing this process. I think that was what maybe freaked Chelsea out a little bit as we rushed the process. But we're going to give it another run. And if that doesn't work... You know, I had some M1s say they'd be surrogates. Maybe I'll be hitting you up. I told you I will make the love with you. Yeah, that might be a problem with my wife, though. She can make the love with me, too. Oh, wow. Mikey will not like this conversation. Maybe you edit that out of the podcast. I don't know. I don't do edit anymore. It's automation. Oh, that's right. Yes. And you've been now leaving the commercials in there, right? That is correct. And it's not my problem, really. It's coming down from, how you say, management? Yeah, corporate.
People have been complaining about that, right? That's kind of par for the course. Is that what you say in America? Yes, par for the course. As to be expected. That's correct. Do you ever just complain about something you get for free? M1s are a little upset with Lauren sometimes because now there's commercials in the podcast. Poor L.O.B. It's not L.O.B. I don't even want to be in charge of the podcast, but it's my job. Poor L.O.B. She gets, Lou. You should see her get hammered on Facebook. And I mean hammered. And I get asked about the podcast. That's brutal. I would be so tempted to be like, you know what? She snapped a couple times. I did. One day, I had a really bad day. I already cried in front of all my coworkers. And then I got back to Facebook and there was like 8,000 messages about the podcast. And I was like... I'm going to lose. I did. I put one big blanket post on the Mikey Show fan. Shut up. Stop. Move forward. And then I've heard a blog about it. That's rough. So I like to just channel my passive aggression through Russian characters that have no need to be on the show. That's great. Thank you. Winning. Wow. Oh, thank you. Cue that up.
Wonderful. Just wonderful, Jay. I want to see that portrait, Jay. I want to see the portrait. I'll show it to you. Well, I'm just so impressed with the work. You want to see the portrait? Jared did. Jared. Jared. That's Jared. Jared. Jared. Yeah. Get myself one done. Well, Aaron Taylor's coming in. Nine o'clock hour. Yeah. Got bag tag coming up. Talk some football. Got bag tag. We're going to play a new game. When we come back, it is called Mikey Show Bag Tag. What is bag tag? Think about it, and yes, it's what you think. We'll explain when we come back, but just get ready because Woods and Jay may be in some pain in a few minutes. Mikey Show Bag Tag. Let your voice be heard on the Mikey Show now. Why don't you tell him the whole story? Time to wake up, sir. Call 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. Shut up. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. This will get you. This is cool. Yeah. See, you learn something. You got to stay green and learn, guys. Just hang around with more white people, dude. You learn some stuff. I have white friends. I'll teach you some white guy stuff. You teach me some black guy stuff, I'll teach you some white guy stuff. Yeah, sign me up for that. I just want to be cross-cultured. I have a question for Lou Bush before we get started on News & Sports. What's my brother?
Did you catch any grief from your wife last night because of L.O.B.? No. Oh, good. I was behaved. She even said it before we got married. She was like, I just want to make sure you can take it. So your wife wasn't mad that L.O.B. sat on your lap and you guys did a whole break together. We got bushed. Yeah, right. I'm a grown man, though. Okay. Oh, please. Grown men or not, your wife is going to get mad. I don't even go to strip clubs anymore. You're just hanging out with the big dogs. Anymore. Oh, my God. Every guy's had a phase. Okay, come on now. It's a phase. Every guy's had a phase. My mindset was this. It was practical. What better place to have a drink before I go out? Yeah, yeah, yeah. If you still were in Vegas and were there with some of your buddies, would you still go in Vegas? Or it's different? I'm not even the late party guy anymore. I'd rather go happy hour. Yeah, me too. Unless I'm kind of working, you know.
I'm kind of over it. I did enough of it. I took it to the max. Late night for me is after 8 o'clock. I see why, though. I see why. The little time I've done this with you guys, I can only imagine. It was my birthday last weekend, and I stayed up till 1 o'clock. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. I didn't hear it. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. There wasn't cocaine, but I did have a few drinks. I didn't think I was going to be able to recover the next day. You felt like death. That's the deal. I couldn't imagine getting smashed and trying to come in here. No, it wasn't. It was on a weekend. Yeah, I had Sunday to recover. But still, if I have one night of blowing it out. Yeah. One night of blowing it out now and I'm like, oh, three days. I know. What are you talking about? Some sports? Yeah. Can I tell you guys a crazy story? Okay, never mind. We're going to news. Just news and then we'll do sports. See you. Happy birthday. That's the drill. Lou likes to switch it up. Hey, don't worry about it. Go ahead. I know how you feel. I was in the chair, but yeah. Well, let's do sports first. No, no, no. It's too late. Okay, okay. Moment's been lost. So this happened in El Cajon. This was a crazy story. It happened yesterday. A disabled man in a wheelchair was at the Boulevard Bar. He got up out of his motorized wheelchair, went into the restroom.
When he came out, there was a guy sitting in his motorized wheelchair. This guy was not happy and actually stabbed the man that was sitting in his wheelchair. The bouncer came over to try and interfere and help. And then he stabbed the bouncer. This happened again at the Boulevard Bar yesterday. This is in El Cajon. And none of the stab wounds were considered life-threatening, thank goodness. But the man in the wheelchair who was in his 60s was arrested on suspicion. of attempted murder. Wow. Crazy story. Also, just an update on the 163 shootings that happened earlier this week. The California Highway Patrol is putting out a call as of yesterday and still today for anyone with any advice, any tips on if you know anything about the shooting that happened on the 163. I mean, it's just a crazy story. Like, snipers. What is this? But if you know anything, please call the California Highway Patrol. It happened around 7.15. Actually, they've narrowed it down that it did happen at 7.15 on Tuesday on the 163 near the Balboa Avenue exit. I've been shuddering every time. We take a 163 in every day. Well, I mean, I guess at this point it could be anywhere. Don't they have cameras, though? Like the freeway cam thing? I don't know if on the freeway. Not at every point on the freeway. That's scary.
Now it's your turn, Woods. Well, some news has come out about former NBA star Allen Iverson. He was driving with a buddy. Now, he was in the passenger seat, but it was Iverson's car. It was a gray Lamborghini. It was spied by an Atlanta officer, and it was changing lanes without signaling. And the officer pulled him over and basically found out that the tags, they didn't have documentation on the car. Iverson says to the cop, don't you know who the F I am? I'm the effing passenger. OK, take the vehicle. I have 10 more. Police don't have anything else to do except F around with me. Don't you know who I am? Then for the next 20 minutes, Mr. Iverson went on and on about who he was. The cop said to him, doesn't matter who you are. You try to conceal your vehicle with a fake drive out tag due to you not paying for your tax. Iverson then said. I make more money than you will in 10 years. Oh, my gosh. Nothing like a humble athlete. He must have confused him with someone who actually won a championship. Wow, LLB. Oh, wait. Great role model. Yeah, dude. I hate when those stories come out, man. I hate when those stories come out. I love him as a player. God, he was a good player, wasn't he? He's angry.
Also, guys, this weekend, this is pretty interesting. There's a weekend series against the Dodgers here at Petco Park. Now, a Giants fan at Dodger Stadium was beaten severely, put into a coma by Dodgers fans. San Diego police is upping the security at Petco Park, I guess for fear of retaliation and for fear of anything else like this happening. So go out to the ballpark this weekend. Don't let it keep you away. It's going to be a great, great series against division rivals. Let's fill that joint this weekend. Sienna's going to be out there Sunday. I am. Yeah, it's going to be awesome. Feast. Nice. Should be nice. Weather going to be nice? I think so. I saw tomorrow 60 and sunny, which is okay. Rain last night threw me off a little bit. What is going on? No, that was predicted. This last part of the week was supposed to be a little gross. I have watched no news because I've been worried about my alarm not going off and being late for this show. Imagine what you guys would have said if I would have been late. I don't want to do this game. Shut up, Jay. I don't want to play this game. Let's play this game. Who's going to explain this game, though? Bag tag. Bag tag. Have you ever heard of bag tag?
Once again, it's a white thing. I've never heard of that. My husband is the one that said the name of it. We must have called it something else. But all guys play it. I've never heard it called that, but I think all guys do it. Yeah. It's when you walk by your boy and you give him the little pop right in the boys. No. See, once again, that's white people. I'm not kidding. Somebody. No, that's not cool. There's too much to get in the way with black people. Wow. That's a love L.O.B. Where are the crickets on that? There they are. I mean, I'm just generalizing. We've decided to step up bag tag a little bit, and we're playing Mikey's show bag tag. Now, we have this little bouncy ball. It's a little bit bigger than a softball, I'd say. But it's freaking heavy. It's heavy. It's a heavy filled with water bouncy ball. And so Jay and Woods like to play this game where they stand about six feet, would you say, from each other? More like eight, ten feet apart. Yeah, and they throw the ball so that it bounces one time on the floor in between them, and they aim it to hit them in the boys.
Following? You follow me, Lou? Are you? Well, every time they play this game, they try not to flinch because they know the ball's coming towards the boys, but they can't help themselves. But to flinch a little bit, like they clench up because they know it's going to hurt. Well, if they clench up in this game, Lauren and I, who will be standing behind each of them, get to hit them with a paddle. They get to paddle us. Why can't I do this? You're not doing it. You're not. Hell no. Did he choke you out? He can use a paddle? He ain't paddling me. Come on. You'll hurt him. We have an oar. It's an oar. That is my oar. So again, Jay's going to throw the ball towards Woods. One bounce in the middle of him. Then he aims to the ball hit him right in the boys. Woods, he's going to flinch. Yeah. If Woods flinches, we're watching him. If he does, Lauren, who's going to be standing behind Woods, gets to smack him on the butt with a paddle. I will be standing behind Jay. I get to smack him on the paddle so they can't flinch. It's fun for everybody. Yeah, but it's only in one channel. It's only in the right channel. Now we're doing 10 tosses. 10 tosses? 10 tosses. Oh, this is going to be interesting. Who's going to go? Who's going to flinch first? Who will flinch first in your opinion? Woods. Woodsie? Yeah. No, he's going to focus. See, look at that. They're both wearing jeans. Woods is a, statistically, he's a flincher. Yes. Okay. Habitual? Now, Lauren, you stand behind Woods. I'll stand behind Jay. Can you narrate? Yes, I will narrate. All right. Here we go. Okay, here we go, guys. Bounce one. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Get the paddle ready.
Now, hold on. Let it be said. Let it be said. When the opinion is that he flinched, no, you have to take the swat. No arguing. Lou, you call if he flinched or not. I will. Okay. Here we go. First toss. Remember, we're not throwing this ball hard. Oh, come on. You got to hit him harder than that. Get a better angle. Yeah, right there. Dude, I thought you had more than that. Paddle by the microphone. I wish you guys could see this. Woodsy flinched like a little girl. I'm not even going to look. Let's go, Jay. Oh! Bingo! No flinch, though, but hit him dead on the spot. Okay, here we go. Back to Woods. Here we go. No flinch. No flinch, but once again, you guys got a lot of practice at this. Oh, yeah, we play all the time. Yeah, looking at each other is...
He flinched. He flinched. He paddled Jay flinches for his first spot. Light him up. Hit him hard. Oh, nice. Nice. That was good. That was good. Let's go. That's so good. Okay, here we go. Third toss. Jay's up. Oh, and her thigh. Oh, you did. He leaned back, but it was... Here we go. You call it, Lou. I'm going to let it slide. It was close. It was close. All right. Third one. Oh. You flinched, buddy. Oh. There was no flinch there. Are you saying I'm being unfair or biased? No. It was a flinch. It was a flinch. Hit him. Hit him. You got to hit him. You know what? Come on. You got to get better than that. Come on. Four toss. Here we go. Oh, he had the lower. That's going to sting. That's going to be a little delayed reaction here. This is my. You got three. Jay's four. This is Jay's. No, I just had my fourth. That was four. Okay, this is Jay's fourth. This is Jay's fourth. Here we go. Oh, terrible shot. Terrible throw. Woodsy goes low. Jay, bone thugs in harmony. Shirt and all. Dead iron. Oh. Right in. Right.
Underneath. Yeah, we got him on the righty. And the flinch. Righty. And the flinch. No, I didn't flinch. Oh, you flinch. I did not. You flinch. Light him up, Lord. Light him up. Light him up. Give it to him. Oh. The pain. I think it's funny how the girls never have to do this. The pain. Oh, my God. That one hurt. That looked painful. I got it. I got both boys and a butt paddle. That looked painful. Yeah. Yes, he flinched like a mofo. You flinched and he missed. Okay, you have to light him up, Sienna. They are enjoying this so much. That's it, right? Oh, thank God. Oh, my. This has to be a staple now. This has to be a staple. That was outstanding. That's the best game we've ever played. Oh, my goodness. Can you even do it with the girls? No. We don't have any boys. I mean, no. Wow. Did that hurt? Who hit harder? Who hit harder? L.O.B. smacked the crap out of me. Oh, my butt is on fire. It was for the air. I wanted it to make a good noise. Oh, yeah. I think L.O.B. got a kick out of it. Next time, get a paddle with holes in it. Oh, yeah. It whistles, dude. You know who else's butt is on fire? Lord. And why? We have to talk about it. My butt is the color of salmon right now. L.O.B., did you take a bronze voyage yesterday? I guess you could call it that. I am going on vacation next week, and I'm white.
as a ghost. So I wanted to get a little base going. Smart. Yeah. And I haven't been tanning in like 10 years. I haven't been in a tanning bed. And I remember why because I felt like I was in a coffin yesterday. But I didn't know anything about it. So I just asked the girl. I'm like, well, what do people usually go in for? And she's like, you can go in for up to 15 minutes. I was like, I don't know. We went for 15 minutes. Oh my gosh. And I had a thong on yesterday. Oh, go on. I didn't think much about it, but my... My entire butt is literally hot to the touch. It's on fire. Let me see. No. Let me see. Oh, wow. That is hot. He didn't touch. You didn't put on any cream? No. I thought that the creams enhance the tan. It does. And I didn't want to get too burned. It enhances the tan, but I think it protects your skin a little bit, too. If she had put on my bronze voyage that I use, her butt would be beet red. Well, yeah. She went in for 50 years. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I didn't know. I'm a tanner. Even Lowe wouldn't go in for 15 minutes? Yeah, I go in for 10, tops. Really? But nobody told me. They didn't tell me. So I was in there, and luckily I turned off the face tanner because I was like, oh, I feel like I'm getting wrinkles as I lay here. Can you explain something? I don't understand this. Okay. You're going on vacation to the sun. Yes. But you have to tan prior to the face, pal.
Yeah, we're white. We're white. We're white. We've got to have a base. Yeah, because it's going to be intense. The sun is going to be more intense. So I didn't want to get burned by that. You know, it's my fresh, most of my skin, I haven't been in a bathing suit in, you know. Probably like a year. This is like a brazing. You braze yourself. You prepare yourself to go there because the last thing you want is a bad sunburn when you're on vacation and you can't go in the sun if you're sunburned. Well, I will be using sunscreen, but still the sun is strong. That's just way too much effort to just go on vacation. I don't normally do this, but the gym that I go to has it for free. So I was like, hey, why not treat myself? Treat yourself. Now my butt is probably going to be peeling while I'm on vacation. It is seriously the color of a pink highlighter. We should put it on Facebook. We should. We should. Oh my gosh. Have you ever been at the airport? Flaming right now. Haven't you been at the airport and you see all the like really whiteys from Wisconsin that are so sunburned? That would be LLB coming back from Hawaii if she didn't get a little color. And the rest of me looks fine. It's just because my big white butt was exposed. Isolated. Isolated. She got a big butt.
Yeah, and it was exposed, and it's like a virgin butt that doesn't see the sun. Don't you just call that a Friday night? Oh, my. That's the crickets. Those are the crickets, because Lou doesn't know where they are. I couldn't reach him faster. You've got to be fast. Quick drama girl over there. Anyway. Okay. My butt is on fire. It's literally hot to the touch. Yes. You know, one of our top segments earlier was the Donald Trump. Yeah. And there's presidency and all those good things. He had some audio of Bill Cosby, who I have a ton of respect for. Bill just says it. I would like to talk to you. Bill's just at that age where Bill don't care anymore. Bill just don't give a you-know-what. And he had some comments about Trump running for president. Play the audio, Jay.
We're about to have another election in a year, and Donald Trump was just on the show. He's mulling over. Oh, please, with Donald Trump. Take him home with you. Now, why do you say that? Because he's full of it. Oh, based on what? Based on what I just heard. You kept saying, or somebody kept saying, are you going to run? Are you going to run? He jumped. You run or shut up? Well, he says he can't announce yet. Nobody really has announced yet. Everybody can announce. I've seen, what was it, the Smothers Brothers had a guy, he was on a TV show, and he said he was running. You can run. You can run now. Start running now. But the only thing he's running is his mouth. Wow. Well, on that note, Bill Cosby, we'll see if he runs. We'll see. I don't care. That's awesome. You gotta take it seriously. No, I don't. Yes, you do. Not him. Not him. Amen. Amen to Bill. Bill's legit. He's legit. Dude, because we're so politically correct with topics now. Everybody's so afraid to just say what they honestly really think. I think if he runs, I'll pay him a pudding pot. I don't care. Did he really reference the Smothers Brothers? Yeah. Nobody's seen the Smothers Brothers in 40 years, Bill. They're performing something in Vegas. Oh, I love it. No, they're at...
Yeah, somewhere at a casino in Indiana. When I was like 10 years old, I was spending the night at a friend's house and they had tickets to go to Humphrey's where Bill Cosby was just like there to talk. And so I went with them and I'll never forget Bill Cosby. He didn't care about anything. The fact that people are watching him. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a t-shirt. If you had that much money, would you really care? Yeah, I would. He does the Penn Relays. I don't know if people know what that is. Do you guys know what that is? It's a track relay, but it's at the University of Penn. He's really big in the Philly scene. He went where? He always talks about the Temple Owls, but I'm not sure if he went to Temple or not. I'm not sure. I'm not sure if he went there or not. Interesting. But if you, I mean, honestly, if you had that much money, would you really care? And he's at a certain age where you just don't care either. The pain is, yeah, he's old. Bill is old. He's old. Bill is old and he's wanting to make sure his opinion is heard. Yeah. I love Bill though. Bill's funny, dude. Me too.
All right. Give you a little early taste of this. Yeah, go ahead. Oh, that's my... Dude, this is the beat. It's my song. They don't curse, do I? This is my song. What? No, they don't curse. We're good. Coming back after the break, talk about some new movies that are hitting the scene, huh? Later. You skipped one. Thanks. Hey, Lauren has a story about bullying we're going to talk about. Kwan Casino. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. And I wear like a 44 small. Lauren. I'm a lyricist. Woods. I mean, hey, listen, I did snuff on the plane, okay? Sienna. I put my head down because if I hear someone cry, I cry. And Jay. You'd have to be dying not to come down and help you. Yeah. I would have to have had my arm chopped off. On FM 94.9. I've heard this before. Who's this? Van Halen. There it is. I knew that. Yeah. You knew that one? What is he doing? Dave Lee Roth? Yeah. Who knows? I haven't seen him pop on the scene in a while. He was in radio for a while, which is weird. You seem much more comfortable now, Lou. Huh? You seem much more comfortable now. Coming in. Laying it down real sweetly. There you go. You got it. Lou Bush in studio filling in for Mike. There's a reason why he called your boy now. Well, obviously. That's true. I'm just saying. Thank you. I appreciate it, though. You guys make it so easy.
Easy, though. This is nice. This is nice. Thank you. We are pretty talented. That's true. Pretty dynamic. Other than Jay. If you weren't going to say it, I was. Other than Jay. Man, oh, man. I'll kill you. I ain't even messing around. I'll kill you. Let that be the reason. All right. I'll kill you. Let that be the reason. I'll kill you. So, LLB, before we left on the break, what's this bullying thing? I guess you could call it a bully thing. My friend was telling me, she's got a seven-year-old, and she was telling me that she saw, I guess, a bunch of pictures. She went for some school night that they had, and there's a bunch of pictures, and there's a kid in her son's class that is constantly giving the bunny ears to all the kids in all the pictures. It's one kid. And she's like, she's fired up about it. She's like, that little SOB. She's like, that's bullying. That's bullying. And she wants to talk to the teacher about it. Are you kidding? Wow. Because all the kids, like, they get made fun of. Because she asked her son about it. And he was like, oh, yeah, that's, I'm going to make up a name here. Fred. That's Fred. And Fred, yeah. And she was like, I could see in my son's face that she's scared of him. And all the kids are scared of him. And he does the bit. I would be annoyed, though, too. It would annoy me, but I wouldn't think it was bullying.
Your child is going to have to fight his own battles. Yes. You can't be with him. But is that, I don't know. That's not bullying. That's punking. She said that they had, you know the class photo that they do? They had to retake it like three times because dude wouldn't stop giving the bunny in. To admit, look, he better. That's annoying. Put him in the behavioral class. Time out chair. He's no bully, though. He's an idiot. And they're just like, Fred, stop that. He's a tool. He's a tool. He's a photographer. Chances he's a white kid. Call it like, I told you, I'm not going to believe, he's a tool. She was like, she wanted to beat him up. She's like, this little SOB. Now that's bullying. Well, she's not going to act on it. Now, I'm concerned about the parent getting upset with the seven-year-old for bunny ears. Okay, bunny ears, I wouldn't be upset to where I'm telling other people about it, but I would probably... She was telling me about it and was like, would you go to the teacher? And I was like... I don't know. She sent a couple emails out if she's... No, she's just... We were just, you know, having coffee, doing the thing, and she was telling me one of these things, and I was like, I don't know. I see why you're annoyed with that. Yeah, I do too. That's a bratty little kid, but I don't know if I would go to the teacher because... That's a little hardcore. I was doing funny years, and it ruined the picture. But the teacher shouldn't also be like...
There should be some sort of repercussion like, now you ruined it. Now we don't have pictures on the wall because of you, Fred. She's just encouraging it. She's like, literally every picture this kid is giving somebody bunny hair. But that's his bit. It doesn't matter to you. What are you, Andy Kaufman? Like, come on. Even though that's his bit, it's still like, you're not supposed to do it. As a teacher, you just say, hey. Stop that for this picture. Get it all out. Everybody do something crazy in this one. Next one is serious. That's the thing that I think my friend is upset about, that the teacher is obviously just like, oh, well, that's his thing. Boys will be boys. Because she said literally every picture that's on the bulletin board that Fred is in. Or the teacher used to call Fred's parents. Or the photographer. I know. That's the thing. He's a rascal. He's seven. He's seven, but I don't know. You're being a turd. I think everybody's fired up. We're all on the topic of bullies, which everyone should be fired up over real bullies. Absolutely. Did you ever get bullied? You get bullied? Oh, my God. No, I don't think you could call it bullies. No, did you get bullied? Oh, did I? I think you could call it getting picked on, but I think bullying is that persistent every single day you dread, and I didn't get that. Did you? Oh, yeah. Me too. Yeah, I did. Oh, man. You did?
I was not always big. He was older. Do you have revenge fantasies? No. You don't? I do. You got to let the hate out of your car. I will as soon as I break some of his legs. They say resentment is like eating rat poison and expecting the rats. Easy, Mikey. Come on, Mikey. If you're going to bring that up, get it right. That's a J bit. It's got to be your mouth. With a paddle. That's right. If you're going to eat sugar, a rat's going to die. That's what they said. You're the one who blew it. Ball gag and nipple clamps. And I said the wrong thing. Bullies have the worst names too. His name was Junebug. Oh, wow. June Bug. Like that was his nickname? Is that a nickname or a real name? No, I don't either. I never knew his name. And I'm dead serious. I never knew. He was in third grade. He had a street name, dude. June Bug. Mine was. He slapped a teacher. Oh, my God. He used to walk and just be like, you know, oh, dude, he was. Where's June Bug now, I wonder? He's probably a senator somewhere. What did June Bug do to you? Huh? What did June Bug do to you? You know what's funny? I don't know what I did. I said something. I was.
Clown Joker. I used to do an impression of him. Oh, that's smart. He used to hold his lip a certain way. And he almost damn shlobbered. But when he talked, somebody told him. And I remember he caught me in the hall. You had it coming. I'm going to beat you up after school. I was like, oh. You did have it coming. You had it coming. You called for it. I lived on the edge. Did he get you? Oh, I wasn't going to have that, no. No, I was. I was going for broke. So what happened? We were walking home. No, listen. We're walking home and he's behind me and he's just, I'm walking my boy. He's running mouth. He's just, but my whole thing, I'm fine until you touch me. Yeah. And I'm going to lose it. Fight with words. I'm going to. I just kept walking, kept walking. And I was literally about a block from my house and he turned and he punched my boy. What? He just clocked him. I kept walking. You left your fellow soldier in the trenches. I was in third grade. What am I supposed to do? I was happy to make it home. I feel bad about that. I need to find him on Facebook. Which one? The bully or your friend that got knocked out? My friend. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You want to punch me? I'm sorry for that you get punched by Junebug in the third grade. Junebug. James, what about yours? His name was Cornelius Haynes.
You know what? See, we were talking about this off the air. Cornelius Haynes. He's black, right? Oh, yeah, he was. Big and black. See how quickly he said that? He would walk up to you in school. He would have no, like we'd be in gym or afterwards, and he'd be, he'd walk up with no clothes on. Hello, boo. Hello, boo. Give me your lunch money. And I was like, oh, my God. He had one eye that was completely white. He and Big David. And Big David was... So Big David, was he black too? Oh, he was black too. So you were intimidated all your life by black people. Is that what you said? No, no, no. Oh, man, we can't go to that party, dude. Big David, Cornelius. I'm not going. Hey, y'all can go. I'm not going. Don't even tell him that y'all saw me. I'm not going. Oh, my God. Cornelius and Big David. Yeah, you avoided them like the plague because they were going to mess you up. His nickname was OB because he had one boy. He had one testicle. He got kicked really hard one time and he lost it. In the boys? With a name like Cornelius, you don't even need a nickname. There's a lot of Corneliuses floating around. That's enough. And you better be a bad dude with a name of Cornelius. And he still walked up naked to you guys? Oh, he didn't care. Is the myth true? In this case, it was completely true. Oh, boy. Wiener time. Sienna, you? Any stories? Anything? You know...
Just for like a week, I think, when I was a freshman in high school, I was dating this guy who was a junior. That'll get you. But this girl was a senior and liked the guy. And I didn't know any of this. You don't know. You have no clue. And then this girl who was a senior and her other friends for like a week, I would walk down the hall and they would be like, Sienna, Sienna, and follow me. But nothing bad. They were mean, though. I get the same thing. Girls, it's always over a guy with girls. Yeah, they drove by my house a couple times. I was like, get out. I broke up with a girl. Senior year, I broke up with a fellow with a senior girl to date a sophomore, Amy Green, little redheaded angel. And I came out of work. I came out of work one night and they had shoe polished my car with like all this nasty stuff. Her friends did? No, my senior girl friends that were friends with the senior girl I broke up with. They shoe polished my car. I have never been that livid in my... I was like... I love her and I'm going to show you guys. How do you get that off? Hours of scrubbing with a sponge. My dad, it was a brand new Mustang. My dad was like, are you freaking kidding me with your brand new Mustang? I hate people to do that. The car didn't do anything. You had a brand new Mustang.
The caveat is my dad's dad worked for Ford for 40 years. We get Fords for like $7. So don't go getting all excited. Literally. Yeah, but it was still brand new. Who gets a brand new car when they're in high school? I did. Must be nice. Not even I got that. You were a popular fellow, weren't you? That was all right. Baseball. You all right? Look at the picture. Look at the picture. There he is. That was me in sixth grade. He's very proud of it. As he says, is that a polo shirt? That's a polo sweater, my friend. Oh, my goodness. There's a picture of Woods framed when he's a little guy. And he's wearing polo. In sixth grade. Yeah, he was, I have to admit, like, I probably would have had a crush on him. I definitely would have had a crush on him. Kid got his back then. Reach for the sky, honky. I got a little chubby as the years went on. Little? Where are the crickets? That hurts. There. That hurts. Pause. When I'm in the gym now working out, I picture Jay's face going, come on, Timmy. Come on, you fat ass. You should just bring a picture of Jay on a bike. On a bike. And just keep it with you when you're in the gym and look at it.
He's going to be sorry. Or you should work out with Jay. You should. Let's go mountain climbing, surfing, skating, hiking, yoga, zipline, love making. All in one day. Yoga in the steam room. Paddle boarding. Buck naked. Eating edamame. Buck naked. I have a confession to make. What? I... I have a hot tub at our new house. I got in there nude yesterday for the first time. Feels good, though. Nude. What time was it? Middle of the day. It's your house. Can your neighbors take it off? It would be a challenge for them to see. We have a lot of vegetation around the house. But I was like, Jamie walked out and she goes, did you just get in there nude? I go, yep. She goes, I thought I saw you from the window getting in there naked. I go, yep, sure did. You know one thing for sure? They're going to be looking now. That's fine. I got nothing to be embarrassed about. It's your house, whatever. Nothing to be embarrassed about? No. If I had a hot tub, I'd be in there nude. Would you? Maybe we'd get her hot tub. Maybe she can get her nude. I'm just saying, it's your hot tub. I'm so jealous you have a hot tub in this new place. It's the greatest. Thank you to my friend, Emma and Winder, who totally got us up and running. It's the greatest. I've been in it every day. That's a beautiful thing. It is. I love a hot tub. I never thought I'd be on board with it.
I always thought of, like, creeps. Like, Jay had them. But, like, now... Jay needs dinner in his. Yeah, Jay needs dinner. He does. Hey, Jay, bring me another turkey breast. Hot tubs are the best. I don't even take a shower. I just get in a hot tub. Yeah, I don't need to. I spent all that money for that water. I'm going to use it. Corrine is cleaning. It's great. I always pictured his... Okay, the people that I know that have a hot tub, my friend Bark Maumann and Jay, two of the biggest creeps you'll ever meet. And Bauman has what he calls hot tub party. Ew, that's like the Jersey Shore. I know, it's very creepy. Jersey Shore. My guilty pleasure. You love that? She's from Jersey. Yes. I'm from Jersey. I used to spend my summers at the Jersey Shore, not the place that they go to, because we nicknamed that. It's called Seaside Heights, but we called it Sleaside Heights. I can only imagine. Pretty sleazy. Like, every one of their friends is sleazy. Mm-hmm. And for the record, I think only one of them on that entire cast is actually from New Jersey. So weird. They're all from, like, Staten Island, Rhode Island. That is weird. Oh! And they just vacation. There he is. Whatever. We used to call them shoobies. Shoobies. Shoobies. People that came from out of town and just run amok. Well, MTV has confirmed that Jersey Shore will have a spinoff. Is that right? Yeah. What does that mean? Double your pleasure. Okay. Spinoff.
Well, because... Can I guess what character? What? DJ Pauly D. It says. The situation. There are going to be two Jersey Shore spinoffs. Oh, my God. MTV has confirmed this. They have green-lighted the two spinoffs for three cast members. Oh, my gosh. Snooki and JWoww in one. Pauly D in another. Yeah. We're going to get a smush on. We're going to just, you know, we're going to do it up and we have a smash room for girls. Only going to have gorillas and juice heads. Oh, my God. That's how they talk. That's how they talk. It's crazy. That would be so annoying. Why wouldn't I talk like this? You know what? I never watched the beginning seasons, but I've watched this last because I had it on demand or whatever. And I watched it, and they actually get along pretty well. And it seems like they really like each other, which surprised me. They're getting paid. Yeah, but they look out for each other. Yeah, some of them, even though they're doing the wrong thing when they're out partying, when it comes to... being friends and keeping the peace, some of them do the right thing. Hello, B. Are you justifying the Jersey Shore? The Jersey Shore is horrible. And I watch it because I also like to watch crime shows. I just can't look away from a train wreck. Why do you have a Jersey Shore t-shirt on right now? I don't know because it was given to me for free when I went to the premiere on the red carpet. When you watch it, it makes you feel like...
God, my life is great. My life's pretty much together. I really have it together. Like, I'm a catch. I feel like that, too. And I'm like, man, I am, like, clean. I am not, like, scratchy. Their place just looks filthy. Stinky. Like you would sleep in your clothes if you slept there. It's gross. They don't, like, wash the sheets. Just a lot of protein around there. I was just going to say, guarantee those sheets have never been washed. There's, like, flies around the dishes. Like, it's disgusting. So it makes me feel like I have got things. And there's a bunch of dogs that live in the house. You don't worry about that. Yeah, but they do their business all over the carpet. They don't clean it up? Don't worry about that. For days. Their toilet always backs up. They're living in filth. And it makes me feel like my life is on track. What is the thing that Snooki sleeps with? It's a crocodile. Crocodilly. My crocodilly. She has to sleep with a stuffed animal. I have to sleep with my crocodile every night. She's got issues. When she got punched. The only thing I saw was when she got punched. I didn't watch the show. I just caught the little. The clip. That was. I don't condone punching a woman. But if anyone at any time deserved it. But I understand. Why? Why? Because I was being annoying? Why? Because I was being annoying? Was it because I was being annoying?
Oh, beating. Literally. Literally. Literally. So, how's everybody? We're going to be on vacation in an hour and 12 minutes. We definitely have a little bit of senioritis going on. It's the last day of school. What are you going to do on your vacation? Start going around the room. I am going on vacation to Hawaii. Happy birthday. Same part of the island? No, different island. Our vacations will be extremely different. We are on a shoestring budget, and we're going to be staying in a little kitschy little... Tent? No, it's not going to be a tent. We were going to camp, but the last time I was at the camping place... Oh, my gosh. Yeah, there was a bunch of meth heads and stuff, so I'm like, we're not going to camp there. We're going to splurge and stay. I can't. You camp? You would do that? Have you done that before? Oh, you camp? Oh, yeah. Dude, that's scary. I camped all through Kauai. I'd be out there with a gun. It's cheap as dirt. I don't trust nobody. I did it for two weeks. We camped in Kauai. Yeah, it's so cheap.
Let me ask you something, Jay, because I know this is probably going to be a yes. Can you sleep in your car in a rest area? I have. Oh, my goodness. I did last night. Are you serious? That's where me, Kim, and Jasper are going on vacation. That's where Jasper was born. Jasper and Bo are the rest area. I had a big camper shell in the back of my truck. Of course you did. I could lock the door, and we slept there, just pulled right in. Hey, have you ever made love in there? In the camper shell? Yeah. Oh, 100%. Your children are listening. I'm so sorry, Maddie. I'm sure they know. How many would it sleep? One, two, three, four, five. Five? You can cram a few more in if you wanted to, yeah. Wow. It was a big camper show. Oh, my. It was like the full-on Cullen thing from... Only in America. Big. Only in America. Best truck ever. Yeah, that's true. But I will be, like, hiking and doing that kind of stuff, snorkeling, surfing. I will not be ordering room service and sitting in air conditioning. In fact, I think that place I'm staying doesn't even have air conditioning. Weird. Oh, my God. That's what Mike is doing. When you're on vacation, you only need some work just to sleep.
Yes, exactly. We're going to be eating out all day. We're going to be eating out. Yeah, that'll be fun. Fresh fruit. That sounds good. That'll be awesome. Fresh fruit. Delicious. Let's stay with the ladies. Sienna, you? I will be home doing nothing but trying to get Sage to sleep through the night. That is my whole goal for the trip or for our vacation. Getting some sleep. Trying to get sleep, yeah. You can do like my grandmother did. And no one hit on this. I was very surprised in other callers. The old school, they would give you alcohol. Yeah, I know. People stay. Is she teething? Rub some on their teeth. Sienna, it's your grandmother. Sienna, it's your grandmother. Hi, Grandma. We used brandy on you when you were a child. You've told me that a few times. And you turned out fine. I know. I bought Sage some of those little Origel baby swabs. Those don't work, dear. Oh, okay. I've got a bottle of brandy that was given to me by Alexander the Great. I will bring it over to you. I've got for Waverly, I've got something too. What? It's an old Yoo-Hoo can I found in the trash can. I'll give it to her. Lou, you don't know that story.
No, I don't. Can I tell it really quick? Yeah, tell it. It's the greatest story. It's still the greatest story. You're not allowed to be on your cell phone during the show, by the way. Lou. You're not allowed. We have a guest coming. Oh, it's fine. It's fine. No, no. It's fine. No, it's fine. No, it's fine. It's fine. Oh, wow. He's a lot bigger than you. You know that, right? Choke him out. I'm going to have Aaron choke him out. Oh, God, please don't. Choke him out. I got to hide my lotion. Aaron Taylor's coming in. Oh, my gosh. I don't want him to know I have lotion. You're going to smell. No, leave it all up there. You see, he has his protein, a little protein power he wants to talk about. He's like, hey, I'll do it like this. Look. He's like, I've got old stuff. He actually has suave deodorant. That's your suave deodorant. No, it's not. You sent Chris out. No, it's Lauren's. You requested secret and he got you suave. Oh, my gosh. Strong enough for a man. Well, Lou, Mikey and Woods like to do my grandma's voice. Hello, dear. I would say I'm my grandma's favorite. There's no question. There was one time that my sister Waverly and I were in the kitchen of my parents' house, and my grandma said, Sienna, how are you on money? Are you doing good? Can I give you some money? And I refused and kept refusing. And finally, she just kept insisting and gave me a $100 bill. For no reason. I was like, thanks, Grandma. She's really sweet. And my sister was standing in the room the whole time, and then she turned and looked at my sister Waverly and said, Waverly, I haven't forgotten about you.
Hans Waverly, one dollar bill. Wow. There's no favorites there. I'm 10 years older than Waverly, so I would have used the money more. Waverly, dear, there's an old trunk in the garage. If you open it up, there's an old turd in there. I'd save it for you. So that's that story. Oh, a dollar bill. A dollar bill. Waverly was like, gee, thanks. Thanks, Carla. Good looking out. I haven't forgotten you, dear. Okay, Woods, what are you doing for vacation? I am sticking to my diet and my workout every day. And I am going to, I got to recommit to the Little Leaguers and get some practices going. I'm going to build my office. Not build it. I'm going to put it together. You just moved last week. We moved last week. I'm going to get my office set. I'm going to play a lot of PlayStation. And I'm going to go see Biffy Clyro, which is a band from Scotland. at the About the Music show next Thursday at the Belly Up. So come on, join me. Great, great band. Six bucks before these guys blow. They are going to blow. They're going on tour with the Foo Fighters. Handpicked. This is going to be a big, big show. Biffy Clyro. I will be there and you can buy me beers. It'd be an honor. The fraternity. I am going to the Grand Canyon. Did we ask Jay?
And I'm going to, we're going to camp at the Grand Canyon. It's supposed to snow the next couple days. What? You're going to camp freeze? And then. Okay, that's another thing. You're going to, okay. Back it up. In a tent? Oh my gosh. Well, it depends on if it's. Or you're going to sleep in the camper. I have a camper. If it's really super snowing, we'll sleep in the camper. It's special. I want to see him get it for me. Yeah. Yeah. All right, we're going to take a quick break. When we come back, my boy will be in studio. She's no joke. I mean, it's first time parents. You always make mistakes. But what she basically does, she gets us out of the way of the baby. Babies are.
designed to be able to sleep 12 hours a day. And when she came in and said within three nights, our baby would be sleeping from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., we just started laughing. But she came in, changed everything, and watched our bedtime routine and said, pretty much you guys are making every single mistake you can. I can't believe they let you have a baby. But nonetheless, on the second night, it was a wrap. We slept 12 hours. Wow. Dude. Life has been different. Yeah, she's coming and consulting me tonight at 530. Nice. Davis Earler, she saved our lives. So she gets to watch your bedtime routine? Yes. Not with, well, never mind. Don't listen to him. Don't listen to him. Just ignore him. Phase him out. I was listening to the show on the way in and I had to take, you know, I had to step my level up because you guys. You guys have pretty high energy now. Yeah, we do. We're also about an hour away from vacation. I heard some of the choices. There was a mobile trailer park somebody was going to. That's always interesting. You got to do what you got to do. Have you met Flounder? What's up, Flounder? That's not Flounder. It's Crass. That's Crass. That doesn't bother you, right?
Oh, see? He's a little angel. He needs a nickname. He's not going to say that it does to you. No, come on. He'll go get in his car and cry. We're here. We're here. Okay. You better watch yourself, son. Chris is the same. Let me stop using the outside voice in here. I'm messing with you. Stop messing with Chris. Choke him out. Come on, man. Jay, you keep it up. Choke him out. Dude. Choke out Woods, please. I'm not going to choke. Yeah, we're trying to. Woods does. Hold on. I just wish you guys could see Woods' face. He is glowing. Right now. Why are you holding Aaron's hand? I'm not. I have my hand on his knee. He's rubbing Aaron's back. Was your nickname Woody before? It has been. It has been. It has been. Woodsy is a huge... When I said your name, I didn't even finish the, hey, my boy A. He was like, oh my God, Aaron's here. I love it, dude. I'm a huge Notre Dame fan, man. He literally said, you are a...
Anything short of God, you are one of the top ten greatest players. Domers, yeah. Domers, that's what he said. Yeah, Domers. Notre Dame has ever had. Mm-hmm. Well, that's a pretty big problem. We had some pretty good guys that came through there. Joe Montana was pretty good. He was pretty good. Tim Brown was good. Rocket was good. Rocket was all right. What's that dude named? Jerome? Jerome Bettis. Yeah, he's pretty good. Hey, dude, but you won the Lombardi Award in college, which is for the best lineman or linebacker in the country. It's like the Heisman for fat guys. It's the Heisman for fat guys. I would have. The big sex. I call it the big sex. There it is. But Aaron, this is an interesting story, Aaron. I lived in Chicago for years. I went to college there, and I worked at a bar on Rush Street called The Hunt Club. Oh. You know The Hunt Club? Yes, I used to be on the prowl at The Hunt Club. Okay. So I'm sitting. What's The Hunt Club? It's just a restaurant bar. Okay. And it's a day. It's daytime. And I wasn't working, but I was hanging out there. Weird. And I had some friends with me. We were sitting at a table. We were outside having lunch. I looked over, and I go.
Well, man, if that's not Aaron Taylor sitting right there having lunch. And I actually walked up to you and just introduced myself. And you go, it's interesting you knew who I am because most people think I'm Chris Sorich. Yes. I know you remember. Yeah, yeah. I get that a lot. Especially Chicago. Chris, for the listeners that don't know, is a tremendous player at Notre Dame in his own right. Defensive lineman. Another light-skinned brother with dimples. He looked very similar. His arms were like legs and legs were like people. Chris actually sent me home crying my freshman year. Did he really? Yeah, I mean, I was all everything. Coming out of high school and I go up against Chris as number 50. I didn't know who the heck he was. And all of a sudden, he's just ragdolling me, man, throwing me around, left and right, and da-da-da. And I literally went home and called my mom. I was like, Mom, I don't know if I can play on this thing. I got this dude number 50. I can't play.
Chris goes on to win the Lombardi trophy that year. He was a captain of Notre Dame, drafted, played for the Chicago Bears for a ton of years. Great player. I ended up going on to win the Lombardi four years after that. So it just goes to show you hang in there. Sometimes we don't know what we're capable of doing. In order to be the best, you've got to beat the best. That's right. And you did it. Or get beat down by the best. Or get beat down. There you go. He must have seen something in you that he was like, this guy's got it, and I'm going to make sure he gets it. Yeah, it was, and it was after the first time we showered. That's a whole different story. I don't know if you know L.O.B. over there. She has an affinity for some color. The brethren. I noticed the mic you're holding, Lou, and so does L.B. That's all I'm saying. You know. I'm in the big chair for a reason, Penny. Right, right, right. Oh, my gosh. You know, they love stories, man. We were talking about football and the Chargers. Me and A.T. played at San Diego together, man. I was talking about the Ryan Leaf and things. I need you to tell some stories of your own, okay? Memories, anything you want to bring up, because I know the fans don't get, you know, we talked about this. No, look, we're not throwing nobody under the bus. But Aaron played in two Super Bowls and won a Super Bowl. The thrill of victory. Take us through that, man. I want to hear, like, I want to hear, did you win the first time you went?
Yeah, we won the first time in New Orleans against New England before they went on their big run. And then we lost, of course, to John Elway here in San Diego. with the Terrell Davis show. Gosh, he was tough. They talk about nothing worse in life than a missed opportunity. In that second Super Bowl, I think we were a little overconfident. We on film thought that we were a better team than them, and I think if we played them ten times, we would have probably beaten them nine had we played our A game. The reality is football is a game of matchups, and we didn't bring our A game. We kind of sat on our laurels. We thought that since we were experienced with all the media and all the different hype and the things that go around the Super Bowl and the event itself, that we were better prepared. And I know a lot of us, myself included, probably didn't stop partying early enough in the week and do some different things. When we got on the game day, we figured it out, but we figured it out too late. Was that his first Super Bowl win? Was that Elway's first Super Bowl win? Okay, so you guys in the back of your mind are like, dude, we've been here. We got it. We got rings. He's never been here. There's no way he's going to come out and do that great in his first Super Bowl. How are we going to get beaten by Mr. Ed? All John Elway's here. But to his credit, you know what?
They talk about that helicopter when he got hit. When I saw his willingness to be able to throw his body around like that, we weren't the only ones to notice it. His teammates noticed it. And kind of quietly amongst us, we looked at each other kind of eye to eye and went, oh, snap. That could have been it. That's it. And unfortunately, it was. Isn't it amazing like during that week? I mean, we didn't win, of course, but the week and talk about that preparation. Y'all didn't win before they kicked the ball off. Absolutely. The closest you got was in the national anthem. It got uglier from there. You took a beat down, too, now. I don't want to hear my own name. Anyway. See, we're real sensitive about that. We can talk about that, but those wounds come back. It's like I'm just there again. They cut deep. Oh, my goodness. What was the final of that game? I don't know. A lot. It was a lot to it. No, I don't. Really? I don't. Honestly, I have never watched that game. I have never, and there's good reason. I don't blame you. Yeah. It hurts. You didn't bring your ring in today, did you? I'm married now, so there's no real need to be able to wear that around. Oh, what, this? Oh, my hand is so heavy. I tell people it's like a tuxedo. You wear it to an event that you would wear a tuxedo for. Special occasion. So the Mikey Show is not special is what you're saying.
Ow. You could just kind of back me in that corner. You wouldn't wear a tuxedo here, though. Exactly. That's true. Thank you. Like her. That's true. Do you keep it in like a special lockbox safe? Is it like out of bag? It is in the safe, but we just moved and we haven't gotten that installed yet. Where'd you guys move? What's your address? What's your address? We don't want your address. I just would be so worried. I think it's in a cardboard box somewhere on the floor buried underneath. Cut your grass. You need your grass cut or whatever. I don't want to do it. white guy cut my grass. He'd do it, dude. He'd do it just to find out where you live. I'd invite all my Mexican buddies over and we'd just hang out and watch. He would come over with scissors and his teeth and cut your grass. Just singing a fight song. I love it. He was so pumped. I was like, don't embarrass me. Embarrass you. It's me who's embarrassed. No, you're not. You're giddy. Notice that your chair is pulled closer to Woods than me. It cleans your area. He was like, let me straighten it up over here. I come in here. He's got two cans. He also had Listerine, and we're on a radio show, and it's right in front of the microphone. Look, he's eating like eight of those. We're not getting down like that later, Woodsy. You can eat as much Listerine tabs as you want. Oh, my good. Dude, so tell me, what are you doing now?
I'm enjoying the off-season for the most part. We just moved, as I said, and got landscaping projects going on. But during the fall, I travel. I did about 100,000 miles flying around. I'm in town less than a couple days a week. Spend a lot of time on the East Coast doing football-related stuff. So the off-season for me is all about family and spending time with my kids and doing the things that I can do. How old are your kids? I have a two-year-old and I have a one. You're old in about a week. Your hands are full. Beautiful kids. That's awesome. Two little boys. Both already benching 285. Don't lock their elbows out, but they get it up. They bounce it off. Does your wife want a girl? No, I don't think either of us did. Here's something. With good reason. I was an only child, so I wanted a big family, right? So I was like four kids, and we had our first, and we're like, oh, this is no problem. We had that second one, got lulled to sleep, thought, oh, this is pretty easy. Yep. So I joked around in the hospital. I was like, hey, baby, you know, we had a boy. We thought we were going to have a girl in our second, but it was a boy. So I was like, oh, I guess we're going to have to go for number three. She starts crying. Oh, no.
Okay, so I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay, it was a little too quick. I was completely kidding. About, you know, a month or two go by and there's a family walking by with three kids. I'm like, see, baby, they can do it. Just totally kidding. She starts crying again. Oh, no. So like six months go by now. Now we're into the mix. Now it's like one-on-one, man-to-man. She's on hers. I'm on mine. We're getting crushed. I mean, this is the most tired I've ever been in my life. Walking dead. So we're driving one day, and she's driving. She looks at me. She's like, baby, you know, if we want to have number three, we should probably talk about it. And that's when I started crying. You got to run the zone at that point. Honestly, it gets easier. The third is just, dude, he'll fall. You won't even trip. No, he has two little tiny ones back to back. No, no, I couldn't do that. I couldn't do that. That's hard. I would not do that. I would wait until Sage, my seven-month-old, is like two and a half until I wanted to have another one because they can kind of help a little bit at that stage. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Our theory, our philosophy, and this shows you how much we don't know as parents.
was to group them together because, you know, they have playmates in that whole deal. That's what everyone thinks. Tell you what, my son is an All-American linebacker right now. Nice. He form tackles his little brother better than anybody I've ever seen. The full wrap-up, the slam with the head snapping off the carpet is beautiful. Well, if you do have a little girl, she'll be in good hands with two big brothers. Oh, yeah, there's no question. And you as a dad? Yeah. Just wait until they get your helmets and want to play tackle. My kids grab my helmets all the time. I don't have helmets. Oh, yeah. He's in the fraternity, though. He's a semi-pro. I'm a semi-pro baseball player. He knows our payments. You guys are athletes. I'm an athlete. He plays in an adult baseball league. Baseball, not softball. He pays to play. No, I don't. Oh, you don't. We have a sponsor. Oh. I don't pay anything. Is it OG's? Pizza? No, it's a tipsy pro. It should be. Levitro? No. That's Jay's sponsor. That's Jay's. It's the Tipsy Crow. It's a bar downtown. We don't have to pay. Did you see that we don't have to pay? In essence, if you don't have to pay and somebody else pays for you, doesn't that mean you're getting paid, right? Tell Aaron where he can find your schedule. Online at premierbaseball.com. Where he can buy tickets. You don't need tickets. He can come anytime. You should say thank you to your sponsor. Thank you, Tipsy Crow. No, Vagisil.
Oh, wow. That was from the cheap seats. Exactly. Magisil. Thanks, Chad. Thanks, Chad. Thanks for the input, bro. Good looking. Magisil. A lot of impersonations. Yeah, we do some voices. Who does the best voice on the show? LLB is pretty good. It depends on the voice, but I do a pretty good voice. I do Charlie Sheen. She does who? Who do you do? Sarah Palin. I do some Sarah. I do some Sarah Palin. Who would you go to? Your go-to person. My go-to person. I do a mean Liza Minnelli, but that's not really relevant. That's not really relevant. She can do it all. Hey, Liza, it's Charlie. Hi, how are you doing, Charlie? Charlie Sheen. I'm winning. Excuse me. Let's take a line together. It's me, Charlie Sheen. Yeah, I don't have a go-to. I guess I should get a go-to. I do the TomTom device. That's pretty good. You know, like a GPS system? GPS device. She does that. Recalculating rude. Oh, that is good. That's pretty much... It's like a female Southern Force gump that's mentally retarded. Oh. Oh, well. You can't use that word on the... See?
You're going to get emails. He's going to get emails. You forward him because you'll have his email and his phone number. Go with the 888 number for him. Oh, no. Don't be funny, dude. Let's talk some sports. Let's talk football. College? That's what he's doing now. I want to dive into college because he was telling me that you recently took a tour of a lot of the SEC schools. Yes. Now, the SEC is just a hot bet. For football. I mean, it's, you know, the old Big 12 and the SEC. I mean, really, that's kind of where football is made these days. What did you find? I mean, what did you see when you were down there? Well, I was in the state of Florida in the SEC school. One of them that I went to was the University of Florida. And the reality is there's something different down there in the water. The concentration of the athletes that come out of there is tremendous. They don't have necessarily the linemen that you would want and need to win on any level. But they have a tremendous amount of skill players. And that's really, I think, what noticed and stood out to me and I noticed the most was how athletic these guys were. I mean, they have kids coming out of high school that are Division I ready right now. You are kidding. I mean, it's 20 years since I played in high school plus a little bit. But the development and with the early entry and with these freshmen showing up and the improvements that they've made in the strength and conditioning programs, these kids are coming out much more ready than they ever were. I mean, it took us our sophomore years to get as strong and strong.
Is it just me or like my dad was a walk on it at Notre Dame, played tight end, and he was about 185, 190. 185, 190 now, you don't even walk on the field. The punters are 220. The genetics of players, their offensive linemen were 220. You know, 230. If a guy was 250, he was massive. What did you play there? When I came out of college, I was 305, but I had those knee injuries, the two ruptured patella tendons coming right out of the gate. So what I lost in strength, I had to make up for in weight. So when I retired, I was probably 315, 320 just so I could have him. That's incredible. And he can move. That's a lot. He can put me on Dancing with the Stars. Absolutely, dude. Would you do it? I'd put Warren Sapp the same, though. You would do it? Maybe, yeah, I would. Tell the truth. Yeah, I'd do it. I'd do it. I'd do it too. I'd do it in a banana hammock. So can I ask you a question? Did you get more nervous for your NFL games or your college day games? I think it was the same. Here's a little inside tidbit that you will appreciate, Woodsy. From my freshman year at Notre Dame, before every game, preseason, regular season or not, and Lou Bush can attest to this, did I not throw up? Every game. It was a routine.
Like, you get up. It was after prayer before. It was after prayer. It was like literally. Walk to the store and be like, there you go. What year did you graduate, MD? I got out in 90. I was class of 94, but I graduated early in December of 93. I went, you know, Holy Cross, across the street. I went there for two years. Did you? I was a bartender at Bridget McGuire's. I know you've thrown some down at Bridget's before. I may have thrown a lot down at Bridget McGuire's. College was a blur. I don't remember a whole lot. This was a bar, you guys, that literally. Your buddy, you and your buddy would be like, he would go, my sister's coming to town this weekend. And we're like, oh, bring her to Bridget's. And he's like, but she's 16. We're like, hold on, I'm going to draw her an ID on a piece of paper. They let anybody in. I would make on football weekends, I'd make $1,000 in two nights from all the alums coming in and hanging out. I was buddies with a lot of guys that came after you that played. And, dude, those guys, I mean, we just, we blew it out all the time. I'm personally responsible. for the downfall of Ron Powell. I served that guy five mind erasers every single night. I'm not kidding. I would tell my dad this stuff and he'd be like, you're kidding. He's supposed to be in training. And I'm like, dad, he's sucking down mind erasers and pounding 22 ounce Bud Lights every night. Oh my gosh. I went to a game. My brother went to Notre Dame. He was a track runner. He wasn't a football player. But I went to the pep rally and then I went to the game in 93. So I was probably in the stands watching him play back in 93. What game was it?
I want to say it was Army, possibly. I don't know. Maybe Navy. Maybe Navy it was. Yeah, maybe it was Navy. Yeah. What was your best college game or the most fun, the biggest win for you guys when you were there? The biggest win without a – well, there was a couple, and they just ran on versus. They're bringing back some of the old Notre Dame stuff. That was great. It was the snowball against Penn State. My parents were there. I was a senior in high school. They went to the game. I threw the biggest party in school history and got in so much trouble when they came back. The biggest party in school history. That was – He doesn't oversell anything. Was it Bettis? Was it Bettis over the? It was Bettis over the middle that caught the touchdown and that had the touchdown. We come back and Coach Holtz is, and I was just talking with Skip Holtz down in Florida as well as now the head coach, University of South Florida, doing a great job down there. I was talking with him and he was like, yeah, we came to the sideline and Coach Holtz was like, give me the two-point play, give me the two-point play. And Skip was like, that was the two-point play that he just scored on. So they didn't have a play for that next play, which is what makes the game so great. Whereas, you know, Reggie Brooks catches that ball. And Reggie, he had stone hands. Reggie couldn't catch a cold. He would admit to you that he couldn't catch a cold. But he somehow came up with the ball. In the blinding blizzard. And if you watch closely, there's a left guard, number 75.
that's playing and off the snap of the ball he gets beat the defensive lineman gets in the face and immediately flushes a quarterback out so it's like you know really hectic for a couple seconds that left guard was number me So I take credit for making that play in one of the most memorable games in northern history. I got another question about Coach Holtz. I knew a kicker, Kevin Kopka. Do you remember him? Yep, another name. Yeah, he was a dude I knew. He told me that Coach Holtz used to do this thing, and he would have you guys so psyched out and scared before every game that you could be playing a team that was 0-7, hadn't won in two years, and he'd be like, now listen, they're going to get us. We're not prepared. Would he play those mental games with you guys? Coach Holtz was the best person and the best coach I've ever met at knowing the temperature and pressing the buttons on the team. He was tremendous at it. And I'll give you an example of myself. When I was a freshman, I'd worked my way up to second team. The starter was down that week, so I was taking some reps. So we were running a dive play. The defensive lineman off the snap of the ball swims me and just nails the running back in the backfield. Wham! Gosh dang it, Aaron Taylor!
So he kicks me out, and I'm like, no, no, coach, I can do this. I can do this. No, no, get out. Run the play again without Aaron Taylor in there. So they line up, and the tackle doesn't know where to go because there's this missing person in this formation. But long story short, they line up exactly the way they did but just pulled me out. Run it again. So they, you know, blue 52, blue 52, set hut. Defense alignment comes to crack. Pow! Hits a running back again. And Coach Holtz runs over to me and says, see Aaron Taylor? No difference. Doesn't matter whether you're in there or not. Oh, my dude. Wow. We got to take a quick break. We're going to come back. Some more talk with A.T. Really quick. Let me say thank you to the Chiba Hut who just brought us in food. Their specialty is toasted subs, it looks like. Yep. They brought in Rice Krispie Treats that are made with Lucky Charms. The size of my head. Just so you know. This is wrong, dude. It looks so good. The location is El Cajon Boulevard, right over by SDSU. They cater. They deliver. The next one goes in your mouth. Last 30 minutes. Enjoying sports. Yeah, man. This is fun. You guys, it's been great, man. Aaron Taylor. Aaron Taylor's in the studio. We got some other guests. We got one of my little leaguers. Nick Demos is over there. What's up, Nick? What's up, Nick? Some of his guys over there. So this is fun for me, man. That's cool. Coaching these kids is a blast. We should get one of them and ask him how he's a coach. Let's see. Get him over here. Nicky, come on. He's going to lie. He's not going to lie. You don't have to lie. You don't have to lie. Tell us the truth. Tell us the truth. How is he as a coach? This is Nick Demos. Right here. Talk. What do I say? Thanks, coach. I did talk. How is he as a coach? Pretty good. He's got this big cheesy grin. What's you guys' record? I'm sorry, bro. Don't bring it up. Don't bring it up.
It's okay? You guys are battling? Really? We've lost seven in a row. We're going to have Aaron come out and give you guys some motivational speaking, and I think that's going to be the difference. Maybe. What's one of the things that he's taught you the most as a coach? Probably my swing. Like, swing. A lot of stuff on swing. A lot of stuff on swing. It's a technique. He's a big technique guy. Oh, my goodness. I love it. Is that how he teaches it? He says, now, Nick, now, you got to swing. Swing is important. Just swing the bat and hit the ball and make contact and swing. Yeah, no. Well, he works on, like, one technique at a time. He's a simple man? Yeah, knuckles. Clearly. Does Coach Woods control his temper? Yeah. Has he ever thrown a bat or kicked a bucket of balls? Does he ever throw things? No. Whoa. That's good. Restraint? Has he ever bought you pizza after the game? How much did you pay him to say this? He's probably going to buy you a new bat. Is anyone afraid of him on the team? No. Not really. That's good. Everybody respects him. What do you call him? Coach. Has he ever had to chew anybody out?
Yeah. Oh! What happened there? Dropping the hammer. Yeah, attitude. A lot of kids kind of cry and stuff and complain about the other teams and the umps. You're not going to take any lip, are you, Wood? I don't, man. I want these kids to have fun, but I want them to learn the right way to play the game. They keep the score out there, right? Thank you. You did a good job, man. That's one of the things that bothers me. They don't keep score. Everybody gets to play. Come on. Everybody wins. Timmy gets a trophy. Everybody gets a trophy. We're all champions. Disagree! There's winners and there's losers. Yeah. You know, these kids, man, I've seen a lot of improvement in a lot of them. I was talking to one of the head guys of the league yesterday, and Knicks is a name that actually came up as somebody that has improved from, Day one and keeps getting better, you know, every game. And really, some kids, they're just uncoachable. They don't listen to you, you know. And I don't have any kids on the team. I don't have any kids. So I do it because I love the game and I love working with these guys. And I want to teach them the right way to win and to lose. Now, we've lost seven in a row. We started real hot. We've lost seven in a row.
I'm like, I'm beating my head against the wall. I come home literally almost in tears. I'm like, I'm shut down because I don't know what's going wrong. But Nick's a kid that's really worked hard and practiced hard, and he listens. He's coachable. Okay, he listens, and he does what I ask him to do. As a coach, that's all you want, man. Yeah, there's no question. I think what happens, there's kind of this sense of entitlement that's kind of coming through with kids nowadays, and we certainly see it on the college level when these five-star recruits have Facebook pages with 50,000, 60,000 fans from each of the different schools that is recruiting these kids, and they step on campus. They haven't done anything, but they feel that the world owes them something. And I think that as parents and as leagues, we kind of this politically correct way that we want to make sure that everybody participates is in a lot of ways killing our drive and our competition. And I think.
A big part of life isn't necessarily always being successful. I think as parents, as coaches, as any role that we wear, as people that are employers or employees, we need to be able to also teach by example. And sometimes that example is losing. As a parent, I have to prepare my kids to be victorious and also have to prepare them to how to be able to handle defeat. And I think if we did more of that, we'd probably be better off as a country. Well, yeah, you guys played sports. You grew up playing sports. When I wanted to make the high school baseball team, I was in eighth grade and I knew. Ninth grade was coming and I had to make the team. That whole year, all I did was bust my butt. That's it. My dad talks about to this day, remember when you worked so hard? I was lifting weights down the basement. I was taking grounders. I was going to the cages. Because not everybody gets to make the team. Now in high school, it's like, hey, I want to play baseball. Okay, you're not very good. We're going to put you on the C team. And you play against the other C team schools. And really, that ain't right. You know, you got to teach him how to work hard toward him towards a goal. Like you said, the entitlement and they see the reward. Oh, he's got a 50 million dollar contract. He's got this car. He's got, you know, all these rap stars and all. But they don't talk about what it took them to get there. You know, my dad told me, hey, I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to give you what you need to survive in this world. But I'm also going to give you a struggle. And I think that's what's not stressed today. It's hard.
Yeah. And they think it's just, it's like a video game, but it's not. Nothing. And to really get out there and fall down, we don't let our kids fail enough. And I think it sometimes won't fail. So can I put something, so can I put a question out there and you guys can answer it when we get back. Okay, we got to take a quick break when we get back. Yeah, I want to answer both of you guys. I want you guys to think about this maybe over the break. When you hear things like. Oh, that's woods. That's woods. Like Des Bryant when he wouldn't carry the shoulder pads and things that are happening to those rookies that there's a hazing that happens. I want to hear what you guys think about stuff like that. Played this song for a reason today, my friends. Oh, come on. Just for the Yankees. Gonna go get them today. Gonna go get them. Thought you did it for me and for Jay-Z. I thought that too. White guy can't like Jay-Z? Is that what you're saying? You are a white guy, though. I am a white guy. You are a white boy. Oh, boy. Oh, L.O.B. Yes. This is called L.O.B.'s paradise. Yes, it is. Two big black guys in here. She's so excited. Handsome. Handsome black men. But I had wanted to hear. So I had asked you guys about like, you know, Des Bryant was recently in the news because he refused to carry the shoulder pads. And it was kind of like a hazing tradition that the Cowboys were doing. We've heard some stories about those guys. Guys, you know. like flaking out when they're rookies. And I just wanted to know what you guys thought and if you had some good stories to share about that. You go. I told one yesterday about how it went with Ryan in the credit card. Yeah. I talked about it. I've already told that one. Which everybody loved. So I'm trying to bring it back to us. You got to understand that there's rites of passage and all sort of different dynamics. And, you know, whether you're sitting around a campfire and going off to sleep on a mountaintop or paying.
and buying champagne and Vuvay Clickhot for all your teammates. You know, there's something to be said about earning your way onto the team. A lot of these guys have made an impression on the collegiate level and have earned their way to make it the entry into the NFL, but they haven't proven themselves. They haven't become trustworthy necessarily. So the hazing tradition is something that's kind of ingrained in football. Now, it's kind of mellowed out because grown men are grown men. It's different, you know, when it's a man to a man. You're not in camp as long. Camp is long, so a lot of it's for entertainment. It's a lot to break in. And it's something, if you don't get hazed, if people don't want you to do that sort of thing, it's like when a parent, you know, when the coach or the parent stops yelling at you, that's when they've given up and stopped. That's bad. So to a certain extent, you know, it's an honor to be hazed. It's like say, hey, we recognize that you have skills. We want you to be a part of the team. So when a player does that. immediately out of the gate it, alienate yourself. And that's exactly what happened with Des Bryant. Now, he came back and had a tremendous year, and his play on the field, I think, kind of helped him kind of ingratiate himself to his teammates. Well, now he's getting in trouble again, though. Now he's getting in trouble again. Can't get out of his own way.
deny what history tells. And if a guy is going to be a me guy versus a team guy, you know, Tiger can't change his stripes. He's got stripes. He can't help what he is. You're always going to reverse, especially in a stressful situation like the NFL. You're always going to go back to what you know. And he, unfortunately, you know, it would have rubbed me wrong. I don't think if you were Roy Williams. Roy should have did what Roy needed to do, personally. I mean, Roy should have... The comments the kid was making... I think the problem is... It wouldn't have happened during our era. But I think the problem was, too, is like, Dez Bryant was like, I don't want to listen to you. Now, if Mike Irvin tells me to carry pads, I'm going to carry pads. That's what he pretty much said. That's what he said. I kind of agree with that. There's a level of respect, though, I feel. But what's he respecting? He's respecting a guy with a big mouth that doesn't do anything. Roy's done nothing. And I'm from Dallas. So, I mean, I know. And there's something to be said about that. And I think these situations, when they make themselves out of the locker room, you know, we get to sit there and dissect them. But, I mean, again, it goes back to you are who you are. You are who you are. And if you can't check your ego enough to play along and be part of the team and allow yourself to get taped up or to take people out, I had to bring donuts in every time. I would have loved that. Oh, no, no, I got one. They took me out on my birthday. We drank, we ate, got married, walked out, a little pickup tab.
On my birthday. You had to pick up the whole tab. I pick up the tab. You said got married? Married. Oh, got married. Drink and be married. Drink, be married. Welcome. Jay's got a new tour. He's going to. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. How much was the tab? I don't even remember. Dude, it was. You know. You know exactly what it was. Was there commas in the tab? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Oh, no. Put it this way. I was furious. I just sat there. Were you? I mean, they took care of me later. But this was, like you said, it was part of being accepted into the group. That's great, too, man. I mean, that's important. Like Aaron said, if they don't ask you to go out to dinner and pay for it, that's when I'd be like, hey, fellas, do you guys want to take me out to dinner? It's all me. I got it. You know, we're getting down to the last few times we have here, last bit of time we have here. I want to talk about the Chargers. I know you were really interested in that. I want to talk about where the dynamic of this team and this labor. This labor issue that's looming out there really in the midst of really jeopardizing this upcoming season. What's your thoughts on that? Well, I think one of the things, and I talk with a lot of people that aren't necessarily players or on the ownership or...
on the higher executive level on the NFL. But the lockout is affecting a lot more people than just the billionaires versus the millionaires. And I think it gets characterized that a lot. But there are trainers, there are equipment people, there are scouts. There are a lot of people that if they don't work or get their paychecks cut, it's a severe blow. Whereas if you have a guy that's making $10 million a year and he only gets 30% of his salary or can live off $10,000 a month. He's got some savings, was able to pile some money away. So this is affecting a lot more people. But the reality is football can't allow itself to go the way that baseball did. They lost a tremendous amount of their fan base. The NFL is as popular as it's ever been. Its counterpart, college football, is by far the most popular it's ever been. And when you have... That big of a piece of a pie, everybody's going to have to take a haircut. You have to figure it out. And the owners signed a bad deal. They're not happy with it. They can't be able to figure out the revenue rights sharing between themselves. So they're trying to add those couple extra games to kind of offset that and maybe reinvent some things. You've got to understand, there are 32 very bright businessmen. Oh, yes. Where the bottom line is the bottom line. And I think to a certain degree.
That's taking place here in San Diego. And if you want to win championship football, you have to have a championship environment. And when there's so much contention and so much money on the table, it's very, very challenging. And I think if they don't get this thing resolved, they could have longer-lasting problems than I think either side anticipated. Guys, number one offense, number one defense last year, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Number one and number one. At one point, yeah. No. Overall? Yes. Oh, wow. No playoffs. But what does that go to show you, though? You tell me. That's what I'm asking. It's more than that. I think, once again, he just kind of commented on the environment you create. Is that speaking to coaching? I think it's an entire system itself. I mean, I think from top to bottom, from the general manager, the ownership, how they treat players, all of it. The Vincent Jackson situation was absolutely ridiculous. Right. And then you go through all that crap, say all that stuff about one another, and then you franchise it. Right. Or extending certain contracts of guys that don't really produce. Putting bad money after guys that don't finish seasons. It makes no sense. What do they need, in your guys' opinion, what do the Chargers need to win? Because you see a guy like Phillip Rivers. And I came from Dallas. I just moved here a year ago. But being in sports and following the Chargers, I really started to like them a lot. And really started to watch Phillip Rivers play.
Fell in love with the way that that guy competes. Like, you look, I look at him, I'm like, balls. He's got balls. He's got heart. Always been a winner. And he's got talent. Yeah, always been a winner. And he cares. You would hate to see that guy go his whole career and not win a championship. You'd hate to see it. Dan Fouts. Like a Fouts. Dan Fouts. Yeah. Dan Marino. Yeah. You know, what do they need, man? What do they need to do in the draft? Let's assume a football season is going to happen. What do they need to do in the draft? What do they need to address? Well, I think, you know, they talk a lot about football sometimes as the X's and the O's. Right. But it's also about the Jimmy's and the Joe's. And I think San Diego Chargers have always been able to bring in the type of talent and the players that they've needed. But there was a noticeable difference when I walked into that locker room, you know. three months removed from a Super Bowl, back-to-back Super Bowl team, at least it made it, when I was with the Green Bay Packers, we had the Rodney Harrisons, we had the junior sales, we had the star marquee players, but there wasn't that sense of team, of camaraderie, of true leadership that permeated from the very, very, you know, practice squad guys locker in the corner all the way up to the top. There was a disconnect there. It's a job. They're just treating it like a job. It's a job. You come in, you punch a clock.
And teams that are successful have to be willing to be committed amongst each other to be able to take it to the next level. And that means sometimes not getting balls thrown your way. That means sometimes playing in a defense where somebody else is going to make tackles and being okay with that. I think what I've seen, my personal opinion, both when I play and what I've watched now, is you have a team full of individuals. And championship teams, the sum is greater than its parts. And right now, the Chargers are its parts. It's only going to be as good as the individual parts it has. It needs that. missing factor to be able to get to that next level. And personally, I mean, I'm not attacking him, but I think that really starts up top. I think the atmosphere AJ's kind of created over there. Players, I don't want to say don't trust him. They're not going to go all the way for him. And there's a difference. And we've both had coaches that you go, dude, or you've heard a player when a coach has gotten fired or really, oh, dude, I just love him. I'd love to play for that guy. That's what Aaron just said about Lou Holtz. Exactly. I mean, that's, I don't think that is kind of sensed. over there yeah i think it's it is a business it is you know when you say stuff like you know like vincent i keep i hate to keep stressing vincent but some of the comments that came out of vincent's camp you know like we hadn't talked to aj since the end of the season stuff like that you know yo well this is like your number one guy this is the number one receiver on this team you knew he was a priority put a hand out you know at least i don't care if you're just playing the game
But to take a hard-nosed stance sometimes, go even further back, the comments he made about, you know, LT. Yeah. Dude, that's just not necessary. Some of those things are not necessary. Right. And I just don't know if that's going to be able to be overcome. What do you guys think about North? Good? Bad? Indifferent? I think he's adequate for what he does. He's a great coordinator. I mean, the proof is in the pudding. Coaches are judged by wins and losses. And I think since he's been there, you know, they got as far as they did. And then each year, stepping back, taking a step back, winning, you know, less games, getting less into the playoffs, and this year not making them at all, I think. To a certain degree, we're all judged by our performance at the end of the day. And certainly the team hasn't gone the way that Norv would like it to. Norv is a tremendously experienced, good coach. But again, results are results. But I think the problem with the Chargers goes way beyond just a head coach or just a GM or just the ownership or just the players. I think it's a mixture of all of those. Perfect storm. No question. What are you trying to really get done? Do you really want a championship here? What are you trying? You go to New England. Do you want to run?
a profitable business or do you want to have a championship successful football team sometimes that's a either or sometimes it's a both and but I think for the Chargers it's been an either or and they've committed to running a good business there you go yeah That's awesome, man. What's great insight from you guys? Thank you. Incredible. This has been so fun. I really appreciate you guys. I have to embarrass myself before we get off the air and ask Aaron if he would sign a football for my dad. No question. Dude, I told you that. I'll tackle you out in the hallway. Oh, yes. Put you in traction. I know a good spying guy. Can you choke him out? Can you guys choke me out if you want? You can. I'll let you. He wants to get... I'll punch you. I don't want to get choked. I'll punch you. You ain't punching me. You said you wanted him to choke you out. I'd be happy to. You sign a waiver. I'll do it. Just sign a waiver. We'll write one up. We'll write one up. That plaid shirt. This has been such a great day. Thank you guys so much for letting Aaron come in. You're amazing on the air. Lou, coming in for the last two days. Bright and early. Thank you so much for getting it done. Getting it done. Let's thank the San Diego County Sheriff's Department for letting Lou come in. Yeah. On his probation. Thank you.
