It's an open forum for you to call in about anything that you'd like. So give us a call. My little phone screener deal. I don't know what's going on with that. We can get that sucker up and running. 570-1949. Facebook. A couple of weird stories with Facebook. First of all, there's a teenager suing his or her mom. His mom. His mom. Over what? Well, he claims that she hacked into his Facebook account and went through emails. Really? Well, here's the deal. It's a 16-year-old boy. He lives in Arkansas. He's suing his mom for hacking into the Facebook account.
Guess he's saying that she was posting all kinds of slanderous remarks on there. Are you kidding me? Now, this kid lives with his grandma. But before this incident happened, according to other people, that the mom and the son had a great relationship. But now the boy is just saying, you know, my mom hacked into my Facebook and email accounts. She changed the passwords. She's posted all kinds of remarks involving slander and information about his personal life. This happened where? In Arkansas. Really? Yeah, yeah. And, you know, she's come forward about it and she denies hacking in. She said that he left his account logged in on her computer when he was at her house. But she does admit to making maybe three, maybe four actual postings. But she says it was conversational between she, her son and his friends. Did she say that? I wonder if she said, hey, this is so-and-so's mom. You know, did she do that? I guess, but the kid's like, she's posting personal things about me on my Facebook account without his permission. Weird. But it's, I mean, she's like, okay, I'm his mother. Like, she's obviously going to fight the charges, she says. As a mom or a dad, I would never do that. I would never. You would never post stuff. No. But would your kid ever sue you? No. No. I would say, if you sue me, you're grounded. I mean, go ahead. The kid doesn't live with his mom.
Yeah. You may sniff around on there, but you're not going to post anything. No, because you're not strange. I've accidentally posted on Liberty's page. You did not. So she leaves her page up because it's a fight between whose page is going to stay up. So and I'm like, oh, this is a cool video. I'm going to post it. I'm posted up and like, oh, this is a great song or this is a great song. And I go to my page. I'm where is it? Where is it? It's on her page. She's like, does she get mad? No, she could care less. Yeah, I don't think that was the case in this situation. Yeah, she says, I'm his mother. I have the legal rights to monitor his behavior online, wherever. How would you guys feel about your kids and their Facebook? Because just the thought of that scares me. Just the thought of my kids having a Facebook and all that stuff. And by the time our kids are grown up, it's going to be different. There'll be something else. Even crazier. Something crazier. Two words, Mike. Parental control. That's true. Just monitor it, you know. Just tell them you have the right to do it when they first sign up. And then they won't be surprised. They know it all along. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we are so in an age of we're not anywhere near where we're going to be. In a little bit, we're going to be talking to you about the Masters yesterday, which was a huge thing. I mean, I'm a guy that could care less about golf and then started learning how to play golf.
about a month and a half ago and now love watching it i love it uh and i i mean i take real genuine interest in a putt yes it's so interesting to me now after hanging out with lee yeah uh at carlsbad golf he was so great and instructor over in carlsbad he's like the coolest guy and so mikey and i really kind of got into golf i mean it's probably because we're old and Like chubby. Yeah. Can't really do anything else anymore. What is there? Like, I just don't get it. I get it now. Oh, look at them standing there doing nothing. I get it now. Yeah. Hey, listen, Sienna. All I had to do is go out there and actually swing a golf club myself and realize that, oh, man, this is not what I thought. It's a lot harder than you think. It's super hard. And so then you want to watch guys that know what they're doing. And when they do it, you go. Whoa, you're like David Copperfield. It's true. You know, you're like doing a magic trick. This was me yesterday. Yeah. Hands over the face. Like, oh my God, did you see that? And Jamie, my wife is here and she's like, oh, great. I'm sure she had a great first day back to town. That's right. I'm like, watch this ball check up and roll back towards the hole. She's like, it's fabulous. It's fabulous.
It's really cool. That's right. So glad I flew here for this. Woodsy's wife is in town. She's even in the studio with us this morning. She has something for you, by the way. She does? Yes, she does. What? What are you doing? You know what is what he says. He says, you know what? He pulled out a bag. He brought something in. Oh, my gosh. Hold on. Ready, Captain? Oh. Why don't you feast on that, pal? Wow. He just pulled out a hundred Sharpies and a... humongous bag full of pens. That is the mother load. Is that the mother load or is that the mother load? It really is. I, you know, she used to work for this company, Sharpie, right? Yeah, I look at it as like weeks and weeks of snacks is what I look at it as. Chewing goods. Chewing things. I can't wait to stick my hands in there and steal those pens. Thank you so much. Thank you, Jamie. How stoked are you right now? You don't even understand. Now see, instantly I'm stoked and I'm stressed because my stoked is like... Wow, this is the mother load. My stress is, I've got to keep them away from woods. Are those sharpie little key chains? Yeah. I want one. I want one of my keys. I'm not sure why, but why not? See, because this is my deal with the pens. I love pens, okay? So do I. But I don't like them everywhere. I want, like, five pens out. I just want, you know, organized.
Crazy. That drives you nuts. There's a, in front of me right now, there is a, all right, I get it. I know. I'm crazy for feelings. Next to me is a bundle of pens wrapped with a rubber band. Mikey's worst nightmare. It is. It makes me nuts. I know. And the reason that it does is because I want to say. to whoever bundled the pens and put the rubber band around them. Jay. Jay. Okay, I'll tell Jay. I'll explain. I know, I know. I'll explain to him. I'll explain. What I would say is, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Every morning. Every morning you come in and go, I mean, really with this? Really? You know what? No one ever fixes it. We know he doesn't like it and we leave it. And you know what makes me really nuts is when they're pressed out of the deal. Where's the garbage? Where's the garbage? Hey, I can't see too. Is that Mariah Carey over there? No, it isn't that. Dude, I forgot. It isn't a diva issue. I didn't put the flower petals around his chair this morning. I didn't shine his shoes either. Well, don't worry. I fluffed his pillows. It isn't that. It's a I've got to wash my hands 50 times. This isn't right. This isn't right. This isn't right. This isn't right. This isn't right.
Something's different. Mikey is a man of routine. Yeah. And the smallest change. Not just routine, but like serial killer organization. It's all got to be organized perfectly. And if it's out of place, I don't know. I can relate, Mike. Yeah. Don't throw it. You can. You can. You just threw the entire. No, I'm trying to get it into my container. See that? See now how everything's neat? This? There's no place in the world. It's a stray. A random pen. I'll take it. I'll get it out of your way. No place in the world. That's lunch. I'll take that. Here you go, Woods. Snack away. I got Woodsy his own pens so that he could chew on his pens and be good. I'll supply him with pens, and his wife will, too. By the way, she brought the Cadillac of pens. I mean, it's in there, and there's a bunch of them in there, dude. So wonderful. Wait, I remember you bringing, Woods, all those pens, and I haven't seen them since. There's one. Here's one. Oh, okay. I was going to say they're just at his house. He only wants them if they're mics. Yeah. I only want mics because I know it drives him nuts. It's true. It's a lot more fun. I've been messing with him a lot lately. Yeah. Like, I like to get him. Tell everybody what you did this morning. What did you do? Mikey had to go to the restroom. And my thing, I was going to go and I was going to turn the lights off. While I was in the restroom. While he was in the restroom. Honey, okay over there? What is she doing? Oh, she...
She dropped a little. Every time. Everybody does. Every day. Every time somebody comes in. Just put it on the floor. Oh, God. They're about to come out the bottom. Anyone that sits in this particular seat that she's in accidentally loosens a container on the wall. And they think they did something bad, but it's not their fault. Why don't you beat Red? It's okay. Poor thing. Poor thing. Everyone dies. Anyway, so I'm in the bathroom this morning. He's going to go in there. And while I'm in there, he was going to turn the lights off. And then run away. And then run away. The door opens and he's right there and he's looking at something. I'm coming out. Like that. And he jumped three feet there. He was up to your height. Yes. He was. Exactly. As I was walking out of the bathroom, he was standing there waiting for me. That's so creepy. While I had a piece of paper in my hand. Were you creeped out? And so I like walked into him and he goes. And I jumped. He did. So high. There's another Facebook story. Yeah. Okay. If you're not on Facebook. They have this thing on Facebook called Farmville. And you're either Farmville or you're not. Do you even know what it is? Anybody Farmville? Anybody in here Farmville? Can I call my aunt out over the air here? Please. Because she listens to us from the East Coast every day. My Aunt Eileen. She's the Farmville queen. Yes. Hello, Aunt Eileen. Thank you for listening.
Knock it off. Get with the Farmville. Get with it. When I saw this news article, I was really excited to read it because I was like, finally, I can learn what Farmville even is. I don't even know. You asked me to join Farmville. I don't know. Here's the deal. If Facebook were, this is how I had to improve Facebook. When you first sign up for Facebook, you can say to it, I'm a Farmville person or I'm not. Or a Mafia Wars person or I'm not. And if you're not, then you just don't get any of that stuff. But it drives me a little batty every day to get offered a bale of hay. It drives me batty. Yeah, can I just tell you what it is real quick? Please. Farmville allows members to manage a virtual farm by planting, growing, and harvesting crops, trees, and livestock. Greetings. That sounds rad. Does it? Yeah, does it? No. Maybe you do your job at work. How about that? Maybe grow up. Maybe grow up, dude. You want to be a farmer? Go be a farmer. Okay? You want to grow wheat? I'm going to be a farmer on my computer. I'm just, dude, it drives me crazy. I don't want any more. You're not in the mafia either, dude. No, you're not. You can't believe me because if there was a way in, I'd be in because I want in.
If I'm listening out there, I'm available. Not through Facebook. Please don't offer me a 9mm. A virtual 9mm. Yeah, a virtual 9mm. I'm not interested. Mikey, I need you to whack somebody out. Wirelessly. Double click. What it would actually sound like is, Mikey, I'd like you to whack someone. Virtually. Virtually for me. Like Mickey Mouse. So what's the deal with it? What happened is this 12-year-old kid in the UK, he wanted to join FarmVille. And in case you don't know, you can join. It's a... quote-unquote, free game. Not so free once you get really into it. This kid got so into it that between the dates of March, where is it, March 14th to March 29th, he spent over 900 pounds. Of course he did. Buying livestock. Oh, they cost money? Yeah, apparently so, because the mother said she had charges on her credit card, which were filed on the computer. 900 pounds? 900 pounds? That's quite a bit. I know. She called her credit card company to try to get it off, and they were like, no, we'll only do it if you press charges against your son, because he's the one that did that. Oh, my God. And she's like, well, I'm not going to do that, thank goodness. My God. Yeah, so now she has to pay 900 pounds. How much is 900 pounds? Virtual farming. 1,200? Yeah. No, my dad would have slit my throat in my sleep. Oh, yeah. Really? Farmville? Yeah. Really? Slice. My dad would make me actually farm outside to pay that off. Oh, yeah.
The mom says the kid had no idea he was spending that much. I kicked out of my house when I was 18 or 19 for running up a phone bill. I bet it was to a girl that lived out of state. It was. I bet you played slow songs to her over the phone. I bet I didn't, okay? Maybe I didn't. I bet you whispered, I just miss you. I miss you so much. I miss the smell of your hair. How much? How much was the bill? $2.50. And your dad flipped out? Oh, he flipped out, man. Now, you knew it was coming. Yeah. So you knew it was coming. Did you get the one day, Michael, I need to talk to you. No, man. I'll tell you what the deal was. I knew I was wrong. He told me. He said, you do this again. You're out of here. You can't be running up this phone bill like this. And then I did it. So he covered it the first time. Yeah. Which is what they do. Yeah. He says, the first one's on me, buddy. Don't do it again. I did. Man, my cell phone bills were so high in high school. Yeah. I don't even know why. I did that with Star 69. Like, I didn't know it cost a... Money. A dollar every time. Yeah. So like every time someone called, I was convinced it was like a boy I had a crush on. So Star 69, we have like a $300 phone bill. Are you kidding? Same thing, though. My dad was like, don't do it again. You know, covered the first one. And then I kept doing it. So he had to get the Star 69 block. Take it off? Yeah. Well, my question is, how many times can you call someone back? Yeah. Star 69.
How many times did you call someone? Every time. Well, it was like before answering machines. Caller ID. Yeah, before caller. So I'd be like, it was definitely him. Who was it every time? Do you? I mean, it was like your aunt. It was the flavor of the week. Grandma. Oh, I don't know. Flavor of the week. Flavor of the week. It's very harsh. How bummed were you when your grandma answered and you're like, Grandma? Yeah. You got to keep the line clear. Billy might call. Do you guys remember when you were, you know, in like maybe a freshman in high school? And either from the guys' perspective, we were just calling girls. Or from the girls' perspective, you know, Sienna and Pepper, you were getting called, I guess. Were you? Yeah, I was calling, too. You were calling, too? My mom told me that was not a respectable move. What, to call guys? Yeah. Yeah, I remember girls calling. She would chew you out and say, you shouldn't do that. A girl calls a boy. What would you say? I'd say I'm the kind of girl that calls the boy. Wow. A very whorish one. I never would call because I was so freaked out about their parents answering. I was like, I don't want to talk to their mom. I'd be like, Mom, you don't understand what I'm going through right now. I wrote I love you in her hand, and she never returned. She gave me no sign language.
Yeah, Mom, you just don't understand what it's like right now between us. Yeah, I understand where I'm going to, Mom. I've never been a kid. Yeah, Mom, you've never been 13. Mom, haven't you ever been in love at the time? Yeah, I know you haven't, because you're married to Dad, and you guys don't have love like I have with Valerie. You guys are gross. You guys are gross. Valerie? I'm going away for the summer. And when I do, we're not going to be able to talk because I'm going to be at camp. What letters? Fat camp. Valerie, I'm going to fat camp in the summer. And they're not going to have phones there because they think we'll eat them. So I'm going to leave you with this Damien Rice song. Yes, I'm going to leave you with this Damien Rice song that won't be written for another 12 years. I can't take my eyes off of you or cake, and I just want to tell you that I love you. I can't take my eyes off of you. This is a song that I wrote to some cake when I was 14. I can't take my eyes off of you. Write that down, please. I can't take my eyes off of you. I can't take my eyes off of you. Oh, man. Oh, my gosh. So, anyway. Hey, guess who's going to be on American Idol next week?
Our president, President Obama. Oh, weird. We have an album coming out. Oh, yeah. He's been working on an album. Yeah. He's got a comedy routine coming out, too. For sure. No, he and his wife, Michelle, they taped a segment yesterday. And next week is American Idols. Idols gives back, you know, the big two-hour fundraiser. Yeah. And they just taped a little special. That's cool. Mm-hmm. There was a... ban on drinking at work in Denmark. This is the greatest thing ever. Unbelievable. Of course there was. So this is a Danish brewer. What happened was, I guess forever, they have hundreds of workers, maybe even thousands, a lot that work for this brewing company. In Denmark. Uh-huh. And on April 1st, the company decided, look, no more drinking on the job. They've been drinking on the job forever. Now you can drink during your lunch break. That's it. That's fair. Isn't this totally reasonable? Not to them. Not to them. They freaked out. No one's been at work, like, basically since April 1st. Oh, my God. Because they're like, you know, all the beer's locked up now. They only have it at lunch out for us in the canteen. This is ridiculous. That was an overreaction. Yeah. They all walked out, hundreds of people. Because they couldn't drink. Yeah, all day. All day long. All day long. Well, they could on their lunch break.
While they're still getting paid during the lunch break. If you said to me, Woodsy, have a ball. Do whatever you like. You can drink all day long. There's no way I would. Yeah, right. I swear, I wouldn't. Would you? On a Friday. Just feeling like this, like all day. No way. You don't. You feel like a mess. Not at the hour that we wake up. You little Bloody Mary. Even if you did work nine to five, would you want to, like, all day? No, not all day, but maybe the three o'clock hour rolls around. No. Skate you through the end of the day? Well, by the way, imagine what must have gone down for them to implement said rule. God knows, right? How productive could they have been? Man, when I first got into radio, we would go for margarita lunches every day. Delicious. It was a different time. Oh, it was ridiculous. We went to go. We had beers one lunch during the tournament a couple years ago, and I had two big beers. By the time I got back to the office at 1, I was like. Oh, that's the way it always works. I was like, yeah, I really want to pick up the phone and make phone calls now. It's the worst. I wouldn't if I could. Mikey Show, who's this? What's up, dude? Hey, I had a question for you all. One of the things I do is I work in service industry, so I go to customers' houses all the time, and I find some customers want me to put booties on, some customers care less. I'm curious, with you guys, with you and your guests,
Do you require them to take their shoes off when they enter your house? I ask them to take those things off. Do you? Yeah, it makes me uncomfortable. When they start putting them on, I'm like... you know, what am I, Liberace? I'm like, dude, you don't have to wear those in this, like, pristine gold home. Wait a minute. He says that when he goes to people's houses, he puts booties on? Yeah, when he goes, he works in the service industry. Right. Okay, so when he goes to people's houses, he's got, like, these little white hairnets. Is he like a male masseuse? No, no, no. Like, he does, like, audio video type stuff. Exotic dancing. Yes, yes. And so when he goes to their house, he's got like these little white hairnets. Oh, he brings them with them. That he brings with them. And a lot of people do. And they put them on their shoes. And I go, dude, you don't have to wear those. You know, when they do that, you know, because it makes me feel so uncomfortable. Oh, see, I thought he was he's asking us, I think, if we would make people take off our shoes. And you were like, absolutely. In my gold, pristine house. No, no. I tell them take I tell them take those things off and sarcastically like.
It's not like I have a house made of gold, crying out loud. If you had like a white carpet, maybe I would have someone do. I don't know. I didn't even know they had this. Maybe. Like when people take their shoes off when they come in, I'm like, dude, you can wear your shoes. Like, come on. I'm the opposite. Our house is relatively shoe free. Really? Except when the woods comes over. Why? What does it do? Because it's a dirt floor. They live in a commune. Every time you walk in a house, you would think where your shoes have been. So your house gets filthy. I mean, it's just so much nicer to take your shoes off when you come in and you put it back on when you go out. Jay, question. Did your parents have that rule? No. No, the dog could poop on the floor and it would stay there. You have a dog in the house. I know. Well, we ask him to take his shoes off as well. Lying on the couch and stuff. I'm so shocked that they didn't have that rule growing up, but he's got the rule. It's Kim. Kim's crazy, no-shoe-in-the-house person. Well, once you have babies around the house, I know that's how my sister is. She doesn't want dirt all around the baby, so the shoes are off once you come in. That's when it started.
I know there's just, I walk in and there's just dirt all over my feet. I just have to beat them together like baseball. Well, it doesn't help that your feet look like Frodo. You know what I mean? You step in gum. You step in other stuff, bad stuff. Whatever. Well, I don't do it, but I respect when people have that role. Well, we have a new, Jamie and I have a new house. Welcome back to the Mikey Show. We have a live studio audience in the studio. Want to give a special shout out to M1 Woodhouse, who's in the studio with us. And tomorrow is his 30th birthday, ladies and gentlemen. Very nice. M1 Wookie. M1 Wookie. M1 Wookie? M1 Wookie. I thought it was M1 Woodhouse. What's his last name? Inevitably, I will mess everything up. Just so you know. Did you see how stressed I was during the break? I'm like, can you write that down? I wrote it on the paper. And I still messed it up. Meet and greets tonight, ladies and gentlemen. We're going to be out tonight doing a meet and greet with you at Stone Brew. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be huge. Five to seven. Five to seven. So you don't have to go back to work after. That's right. And we're going to be giving out our brand new M1 Nation sticker. Very, very cool. Also want to say thank you to M1 Callie who called in earlier in the week and talked about how she is a pastry chef. Is that correct? She wants to make cakes and she makes them. She's a student. And she made the most.
amazing looking banana cake i've ever seen in my life we got to get a picture of it we did it was the greatest because she calls in to tell us that she's addicted to sugar and she has to have sugar all the time right and then she goes in to say well you know i bake cakes and we're like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa you do what yeah what kind of cakes what's your specialty can you come in on friday can you bring one She did. She brought us the most beautiful cake. It says 94.9 on the top of the cake. We already took a picture of it. It took a picture as soon as I got in. I'm like, I want a picture of that. What setting did you use on your camera? All right. What was that, Mike? I have a camera that has a food setting. Weird. Weird. And I was in here photographing the... cake like Zoolander. I was in here doing like a photo shoot with the cake. More energy. I need more energy. I need more energy from you. Work it. Work it. Show a little skin. Yeah, it was ridiculous. I have to know what happened yesterday. And so do you. This was good stuff. Even if you're not a golf fan. Can't take that down? Scott and Andy have been telling you the winds have picked up with that storm that is... Oh, please. On the tee. Tiger Woods.
Got the ovation. Sounds like they're backing on Tiger. I think they are, dude. He stepped up and drove one about 340 down the gut. That's crazy. Imagine that. I bet that felt so good for him. Oh, dude. Obviously, the biggest story of the day is Tiger playing at Augusta yesterday. His first tournament back since all this stuff happened. Well, he went out and fired a 4-under 68, which is his personal best first round. First time he's ever broken 70 in the first round. Really? Is he in the lead? He is actually not in the lead, Miss Lauren. That's a great question. Wow. He's not in the lead. My favorite golfer in the world is in the lead, Freddie Couples. He is the sweetest swing in golf. He shot a 666. So Tiger's two strokes off the lead. He had a few putts that he really missed. Dude, he could have been probably 65 had he made some putts. Here he is talking about his day, cut two. Well, after 20 weeks, a lot of people talked about it. How did it feel to be back out there? Felt good.
It felt really good just to get out there and get into the rhythm of the round and just kind of go about my business. The receptionist, you walked from the practice putting green to the first tee. How much of it did you absorb and what did you think of it? It was unbelievable. I mean, all day. The people, I haven't heard them cheer this loud in all my years here. So it certainly helped keep my spirits up because I was certainly missing a bunch of putts out there. And tough conditions like that. I mean, it helps when you get the crowd like that. Did you hear anything negative at all during the day? Absolutely not. Funny thing is, Jay and I were looking at a news story this morning. There were a couple of planes. Somebody had hired probably a radio station to fly over. By planes. By planes. And they were tugging signs behind them that said, one of them said, Tiger, you must have meant Buddhism instead of Buddhism. Oh, really? Very catchy. Oh, really? And then the other one said, sex addict? Question mark? Yeah, right. Me too. Very funny. Wow. Very funny. Did you see any of it yesterday? Oh, yeah, dude. You know that. I was texting you. Dude was physically looked amazing. Looked like Junior Seau with a driver. Yeah. He looked like Junior Seau with a pullover. Yeah, seriously. So he came out. He was obviously.
That's where he does best. You've got to be nervous. You're always nervous at Augusta. He had the extra pressure. Comes out and shoots four under. He's a beast. It should make for a huge weekend. He's going to be, barring completely soiling himself today, he'll make the cut and hopefully be playing in the final group on Sunday. Now, when you say make the cut, what does that mean? Are there like 800 people out there trying out? There's probably a couple hundred people. And not everybody makes it. You have to have a certain score to make it through to Saturday and Sunday to get paid, basically. Okay. And so on Saturday and Sunday, do you know how many people get to golf? Oh, yeah. How many? Well, they'll tell you. Oh, okay. They'll say the cut is even. So if you come in at one over par, you're not playing. You just pack your stuff and go to the next. But it isn't a set thing where every year at the Masters, there's 40 guys that get to play, and that's it, and you've got to make the cut. If M1 Hawk is listening, he can probably fill you in on exactly how many people play on Saturday and Sunday, but I have no idea. What if Tiger wins? How crazy of a story. Oh, boy. Somebody alert the press. No. What if he doesn't? It's just as big of a story. Listen.
I think it would be a really big story because nobody expects him to. He's coming back. They don't expect him to do that great. He's out of practice, blah, blah, blah. And so if he wins, it's a big deal. Yeah. Girls could not be. You guys are so into Tiger. Absolutely. Well, also, Mike, Brad Stevens. I'm not into. Let me say this. I'm not into Tiger. I'm into redemption. I love if he would come back and. And I put this on my blog. I just want to see the guy love his wife, be a good story, be like, live out goodness now. You don't have to win the Masters to love your wife. No, you don't. But I think it would be a redemptive storyline. It would be great. I love redemption. Yeah. It's just like, man, after this happens, people are like, oh, I'm so out on Tiger. He's awful. I can't believe this. Oh, I hope he fails. And now he's back. Everyone's like, oh, look at Tiger. I hope he wins. What if he wins? Oh, my gosh. All the way in. You know, it's like, oh, God, make up your mind. Well, wouldn't it be? Well, I have. I've made up my mind. I want to see the guy succeed. I think it would be really nice. What a story that he says, yes, I was wrong. I messed up. Oh, I was wrong. I messed up. It's like everybody has. Now I've come back and I'm going to show the world what I can do.
350-yard drive right down the middle. Nobody thinks he can do it. Tiger's come back. Oh, my goodness. He's earning the love of his woman back. She's there standing, you know, on the sidelines, clapping her little mouth claps. I love you. I love you. You'll never do it again. You'll never do it again. It's a nice story. He's probably going to be tied to the bed when he's not playing golf. But Brad Stevens was the head coach of the Butler Bulldogs. They lost the national championship game to Duke by two points. Well, they weren't dummies at Butler U. They signed him up for a 12-year extension to stay at Butler. He's 33 years old. He's one of the hottest young coaches around. Probably could have written his ticket anywhere, but Butler's got him the next 12 years. Do you guys remember the story I told you about San Antonio Holmes? San Antonio Holmes is my lovely wife. We'll tend to call him. He allegedly threw that glass at the girl. Now he says he and his attorney have some evidence that they've mailed to the Orlando Police Department that will completely exonerate him. Video, video, video. We don't know what it is. Any guesses? I have no idea. What do you mail? I can see him like...
Putting it in a little envelope, putting a stamp on it. Yeah. I got it. It has to be video, right? Someone's cell phone video. I'm sure they're checking them out. A memory card? Yeah. Something. I'm like, oh, I can't wait until this story comes out. A memory card. Maybe it's a memory card with video on it that shows that he didn't do anything. Maybe it's a cocktail napkin that the girl wrote and said, I was lying. Right. And then he grabbed it, put it in his pocket, and then mailed it in with a stamp. It could be. And then in baseball this weekend, the Padres are going to Colorado to take on the Rockies. Got to be done. The Yanks are taking on the D-Rays. Oh, boy. I don't get it. When's opening day for the Padres, was it? Monday. Monday. I think Dave Matthews is actually singing the Take Me Out to the Ball game. Is that right? He'll obviously be here first before he heads out there. Yeah. You guys look forward to that. Maybe we'll get to talk to him. I'm sure you will. How about that? Sienna put something really interesting in her recap. She said that she was cleaning out some of Jenna. Jenna is, can I say your daughter? Yeah. Can I just say your daughter? Yeah. Technically, she's my stepdaughter. What should I say? I feel, I mean, I think about that all the time. I'm like, I want to just color my daughter because she is. But then I don't know if that's like not politically correct. And people are like, well, that's actually your stepdaughter. Well, let's say, we ought to turn that thing down because it's driving me nuts. She's my daughter. I love her like she's my daughter. So I'll say that. Good. So you were cleaning out some of her old toys that she didn't want anymore. Yeah.
When you were doing that, you discovered an Easy Bake Oven. When we have a live audience, we have a speaker so they can hear everything we hear in our headphones and it causes a little echo. What are you giving me the Manson lamps for? It's not you. It isn't you. I look like an engineer. No, it isn't you. You know what the Manson lamps are for? The Manson lamps are that, and this is my radio career. In my radio career. And it's 2010. There hasn't been developed yet a speaker that will not do that. I know. You know what I mean? It always sounds like Woodstock in here when we have people in. Massive feedback. At the end of the show, I expect Hendrix to light his guitar on fire. It's like he's standing by the speaker hitting the whammy bar. She said, Sienna said she almost cried when she saw it because...
that she used to make the stuff all the time with her. And I was like, Easy Bake Ovens just reminded me of being a kid so much. You had one? You had one, I bet. Really? Pretty sure it was a girl's toy, Mike. Yeah, and you didn't have any sisters. I didn't have an Easy Bake Oven. So why does it remind you of your childhood? Well, because I remember that they were very popular when I was a child. How good did, like, on the commercials for Easy Bake Ovens, they would just pull out these cakes. Yeah. They looked. Phenomenal. Yeah. It's like any time you try to make anything close, it never looked like that. It took like four hours to make a muffin. I know. That's because you were cooking the muffin with a light bulb. It's still fun, though. Yeah, Jen and I used to make them all the time, and I had it when I was little, and I just loved the easy bake of it. Woods is 34, and I am 39. You probably don't remember Stretch Armstrong, do you, Woods? Oh, I do. You guys remember Stretch Armstrong? Yeah, I think he had a comeback.
It was a doll, and you would pull Stretch Armstrong's arms, and they had some sort of poisonous liquid inside of it. It was like, I don't know what it was. Yeah, I played sports, dude. I didn't play with dolls. All right. No, Stretch Armstrong was cool. Guys definitely played with it. Yeah. All right. I don't know what was inside of Stretch. Some sort of goo. Poison. Some sort of goo that looks like sap. It was meant to be poisonous or they pulled it off the market? No, it wasn't meant to be poisonous. It's just they don't make stretch anymore. Did they recall this? They wanted to get poisoned to children. They should have damn well recalled it. No, I didn't know if that was like his character, like if he was like a comic book guy. I've never heard of it. Like when you stretch him out, he's like... It was really cool, man. You would have your brother take one arm, and you would pull his arms across the room. Sounds cool. It was great. Sounds cool. It's like one of those toys that you get, and you're so excited to have it, and then you play with it for 15 minutes, and you're like, okay, I'm done. That was exactly what it was. Yeah. This is exactly what it was. Call us, by the way, if you remember old toys that you thought were cool when you were a kid. Big wheels? I mean, come on. Oh, big wheels. They didn't have big wheels when I was a kid. They didn't? No.
Dude, I used to just haul on those things. Those are the ones that you can get in and drive, right? Yeah. No, that's not a... That's a big wheel. Oh, yeah, it is. Yeah. I got one of those, a convertible. No, that's like a Power Wheels. It was like a little, like a red BMW. Mom! Mom! Mom, I don't want this. I want an actual BMW. Jenna, I'm not going to hollow out a BMW and put pedals in. Why not? Mom, cut the floor out of a 7 Series and let me stick my legs through it. I'm telling you. My grandma gave it to me. I'm pretty sure it was Christmas. And I was so stoked. But I think I was a little too big for it because it lasted like 10 minutes. And then she had to take it back. And I was like, man, my Beamer. My Beamer. It's okay. We'll get you a real one next year. I was only like eight. But I'm only nine. It's okay. Big Wills were great, man. Greatest. Big Wills were great. I also had these big, tall Japanese dolls that fired their arms off. Again, more dolls? Shogun Warriors. Yeah. Woods is hiding his face without laughing mine. Did you have Cabbage Patch Kids? No, I didn't. I didn't have the Cabbage Patch Kids. Did you have those, like, troll dolls?
Why did you ask me that and then look so like... Because you know he did. Because, no, I realize that I'm admitting that I did. Yeah, I collected them. And I don't know if it was around in your time or if they were cool in mine. My time. Yeah, your time. Yeah. Well, there's a bit of an age gap. We know this. I had a pogo stick, too, that I got for Christmas one year. And I was bound and determined to set the world record for pogo stick. And I would pogo for hours at a time. So hard. I loved it. You just made fun of me. Yeah, you had dolls. Right. You were hopping around on a pogo stick like a... It ain't easy. It's not easy. I did the pogo ball. Those were weak. They got this far off the ground. Yeah, but if you did it right, you could get some, but then it would always pop. Big red ball? Yeah. It looked like Saturn or something. What a great description. Looked like Saturn? That's exactly what it looked like. Explain. I'll draw it. Yeah, draw it. It was a ball that was, there was a disc that was centered in it. And you blocked both your feet on each side of the ball. This is the worst, worst picture I've ever done. Let's just draw a circle and put a line through it.
Oh, I do remember those. Yes, and you stand on there. You put your feet on the Saturn ring. Yeah. And you put your feet and you jump. Oh, I had one of those. Mine was made of gold, but yeah. They came out the same time as the sit and spin. Yeah, sit and spin. Oh, dude. Just make me sick. You turn that little thing. Yeah, yeah. Oh, the worst. I had an emerald sit and spin. It was made out of an emerald and you would spin on it. We had it until it shattered, then we replaced it with a diamond one. My grandma flew to Italy to get it for me. Yeah. She actually bought Italy so that we could have a billion of them. M1, Erica, what did you have? Hello? You had what? A Teddy Ruxpin. Oh, Teddy Ruxpin. That is so creepy. I love Teddy Ruxpin. He was like... It'd blink like a thousand times and be like, I'm going to tell you a story. Weird. So creepy. Until Child's Play came out. Exactly. Ruined it. And then every kid got really lucky. It was like the My Buddy doll.
My buddy and the kid sister doll. My buddy, my buddy, my buddy. Wherever I go, he's gonna go. Kid sister, kid sister. One of you knows the song, one of you doesn't. No, we both know it. They go together. Kid sister and my buddy. Kid sister, kid sister and me. Me and Woods are just staring at each other. Now I have a story. Look at Jamie. Why is she laughing? We have one of our dogs. His name is Lucky. But we've always called him Buddy. And so we sing that song to him. My buddy, my buddy, wherever I go, he goes. My buddy, my buddy, my buddy and me. What does your dog do when you sing that? I'm sorry, man. I'm laughing because yesterday when we went to lunch, we went to lunch with some clients. And Woods was talking about the dogs. And I said, Woodsy, tell her what kind of dogs you have. And he goes, he gets right up into my ear. He goes, I'll tell him right now. I'll tell her. I have a couple of Yorkshire Terriers, all right? He never calls them Yorkies. No. He always has to say Yorkshire Terriers. Yorkshire Terriers. Makes it sound like they're big pit bulls when he says that. Sure does. They're the cutest little. Jay got to see them this morning. Yeah. You did? Mm-hmm. You're little angels, right? I got a little angel. French kiss. Yep.
They kissed you with their tongue? You Frenched? Yeah. That's so weird. They are kissers, for sure. Do you do that? Are you that guy, Jay, where you let the... No, I mean, they can lick me on the face. I try not to get any tongue-to-tongue acts on the dog. It's so gross. I try. Are you okay, Woodsy, with your doggies licking your lips? Yeah. My dogs. He Frenches them. Yeah, I go... He just sticked out his tongue. He stuck out his tongue. You do that thing like in Something About Mary? Yeah, absolutely. When you and Jamie kiss, do your dogs come up for a kiss right after? That's what my dog does. My dog's like, wait, what about me? I want to be in. Yuck. It's like, ew. Let's see. Okay, so here's the deal. We've got a few things we need to do. I want to do a little whiz pop quiz coming up next. And there's a very funny story about a German guy. That wanted to... He was a guy that deals in meat. Meat. He's a meat dealer. He's a meat salesman. And the bill hadn't been paid at a restaurant, so he decided that he was going to go through there and get his meat back. And I wonder what that 911 call might have sounded like. So we will do that in just a bit. Mikey Show with a live studio audience. After this. This is The Mikey Show. FM 94.9.
Cesar. Hey, Cesar Gonzalez. I went by Mama Testa's and the corn tortillas. They're the way to go. Tell me about the Yucatecos. We take pork. We marinate it for 24 hours in anato paste and orange juice. Then we wrap it up in roasted banana leaves and we steam it for six more hours. Tender pork, sweet, sour, and spicy all at the same time. That sounds yummy, Chico. Tell me about the Mojaros de Carne. Mojaros de Carne, dude? Their roll tacos are Guerrero style. They're serving a spicy beef broth. If you have one too many brewskis, they're the cure for the hangover, bro. Okay, now, Flavio, tell me how you beat that Bobby Flay guy from the Food Network. Bobby Flay. Flay, he challenged me to a fish taco throwdown. But did you win? Go on that way. I'm Cesar Gonzalez from Mama Testa. Of course I won. If he challenged me to a cabbage and potato soup, he would have had a chance. Hey, jefe, you're here legally. Listen, Sancho. On Mama Testa, we do everything you can do to the taco. Looks like the 5 northbound before Carmel Valley Road, there's some kind of unidentified object. It's in the slow lane. Watch out for it, though, because cars are swerving to avoid it. And the 5 northbound, the ramp to the Coronado Bridge, there was an accident there earlier. A motorcycle fell over, not over the bridge. It just, you know. plopped over on the side, not of the bridge, just in the middle of the road. They're taking it off in Coronado and loading the cycle onto a pickup truck. You can call us, by the way. Our number here is 570-1949. And we'd love to hear from you. And if you want to text us, you can also do that. The way to text us here is by opening up the text feature on your phone and just type in 949Mikey at gmail.com. It's pretty easy to do and we'd love to hear from you. I love this song. It doesn't rhyme. So Sienna went out and talked to kids because she's the kid whisperer. She really is. I'm starting to be called that. You are. You're the kid whisperer. Kids love you. And I love it because inevitably when she goes out, she's going to get some.
Rascally kids. I do. That's what it comes down to. I know. It's so funny, too, because I usually always go to the same park to find some kids. And I always start with, like, two kids that are playing on the park together. And I get their parents' permission. Is it cool if I ask your kids some questions? They're like, yeah, of course. And then by the time I'm interviewing, other kids see what I'm doing, and they run over. And they have to, you know, start answering questions, too. Oh, of course. And they have to get involved. So that kind of happened here. Right? There's inevitably going to be the wise guy in every group. There's going to be a kid. So what were you asking kids about yesterday? Just a pretty general question. I want to know, you know, dream jobs. What do they want to do if they could do anything when they grow up? And some questions that go along with that category. Tell me your name. Patrick. Patrick, how old are you? Almost 8'7". And what's your name? He's a rascal. Yeah, you already know. He's a rascal. That's an interesting way to say how old you are. Almost 8'7". Yeah, and when you're a kid, every quarter of a year matters. It's monumental. Two and three quarters. Of course. Hey, Michael. Can you tell me what's the best job in the world? It would probably be a sporting event. I love the little list. Oh, yeah. It would probably be. Probably be. I love it. A little speech impediment. It's an Elmer Fudge. A sporting event, yeah. I would pick baseball. Baseball is really fun. You need to be a baseball?
It was really fun. It was really fun. You'll probably make a lot of money, huh? Yeah. How much do you think? About, we hit about a few thousand. Oh, my God. Times of money every year. $35 million a year. That would be awesome. You know what's pretty interesting about that is it's not far off. No, it's not. It's really not far off. Like, this kid's trying to be outlandish. A-Rod makes $25 a year, and by the time that kid's... playing his position, he'll be making 35. He actually is dead on. Where would you live? Anywhere? A mansion in Alaska. What kind of car would you guys drive to? Honda. A Honda? That's your dream car? This obviously wasn't in La Jolla, Mike. Let me, do you know what, can you spell Bentley? I was like, a Honda? Yeah, a Honda. You're making $35 million a year and he wants a Honda. What about you? I found a couple Hondas in my couch. So if you want one, I can give them to you. We were cleaning out Dorito crumbs and I found three Hondas last night. Just come to my house for Easter next year. You'll get a few Beamers in your Easter egg. Exactly, exactly. What's your name? Tyler. Tyler, how old are you? Five. What's the best job in the world? Do you know? Being a police man. Do you think you're going to make a lot of money?
Yes, and I'll arrest people to jail. I'm immediately like, oh, great. Can't wait to meet him in 20 years. My future nemesis. Here he comes. What's he's going to meet him in 20 years? It's going to be great. I know you, Mr. Smart Guy. What kind of car are you going to drive to work? A policeman car. And how fast? A plebeian car. An artisan car. Yes, a plebeian car. A policeman car. How do you think you can drive in a policeman car? As fast as I want. You're the law, man. He'll be a perfect cop. Of course. Yeah, absolutely. How's it like living in Perfectville? Yeah, a perfect cop. Say to the bad guys when they're being bad, what would you say to them? Okay, so here... Let me explain to you what's going on right now. I'm asking this kid, what would you say to the bad guys when you found a bad guy and another little boy comes up and he's been overhearing the conversation. So this little boy who you're about to meet busts into a knock-knock joke. He's a knock-knock guy. What? Knock-knock toilet head? Yeah. That's a good one. That's a great punchline. By the way, when you're five, that kills other five girls. Toilet head!
Did he just say toilet head? This little kid was even younger. It kills a five-year-old toilet head. What are your guys' names? And how old are you? Where would you guys take your boss out to lunch? Where do you think is a good place? McDonald's. McDonald's to a five-year-old is the greatest thing that's ever happened. Imagine if you're like, hey boss. I'm going to take you out to lunch and we're going to go to Mickey D's. You go get Rick Jackson, take him to Mickey D's. Yeah. See how that goes. Yeah. You just took my microphone. It's right next to where a candy shop is. So you want to be on the radio because you're holding my microphone. What do you think of that thing? They do start taking it from you. Yeah. This is another little kid. I mean, I'm telling you, they all come running up. They swarm. And this other kid just grabs the microphone by hand. By the way, I couldn't do what Sienna does. No way. Never. Oh, you're a dude. They'd be like, who's that creepy bald? Yeah, it's funny. In handcuffs. Hey, little kid, let me ask you something. What's your job that you want to do? They're like. It's so funny because that's what one of the moms said later. Because I had to go up to moms after and I'm like, I just interviewed your kids. You know, hopefully that's okay. And they're like, oh, yeah, good thing you're a woman. No man could ever do that. The one time I went with Sienna, we were in the mall. And, like, we were walking up to little kids.
They're like... Hiding behind their parents. Hiding. I was like, I'm blasting cigs and stuff. There's nothing weird about that. He's got a spit cup in his hand. Hey, we asked the kids some questions. So now what's happening now is the kid has taken my microphone and because he took it, everyone else wants to take it. Yeah, you guys want to hold it too? Pass it around, say something special in it. Say whatever you want. I would like to have... A million dollars when I'm 10. Wow. Wouldn't we all? I would like the Bulls to make their playoffs every year. The Bulls? The Chicago Bulls? Yep. This kid sounds like he's got his baseball cap to the side. Yeah. He sounds like he's his baseball cap to the side. Pants on the ground? Yeah, he's five years old. He's got his pants on the ground. Pants on the ground. And he's got on a Chicago Bulls jersey. Okay? Every year. Every year. Every year. Oh, my gosh. We're on this year.
What? Did he really? Did he just say? What did he say? Where's my jizz? Wait, wait, what? No. Listen, listen again. I'm telling you, it sounds exact. I would like to have a million dollars when I'm 10. All right. I would like. This is just what they say. The Bulls to make their playoffs every year. The Bulls? The Chicago Bulls? Yep. Every year. Every year. Wait, what? Can we say that word? I don't know. He said, what is wrong with you? I think he said, where's my bitch? Are you serious? I'm telling you. I think there's no question. What is wrong with you? Where's my bitch at? I'm like, what? Hey, kid. He belongs to that leprechaun video, dude. Exactly. I want to know where to go. I want to go. Give me the gold. I want to go. Are you kidding me? That's genius. Good luck to you. To me, it look like a leprechaun to me. I got to look up in a tree. Who else in the leprechaun say yeah? Yeah. Yeah.
I feel sorry for whichever one of you guys uses the microphone after me because these little kids are like sucking on this thing. I'm like, get it out of your mouth. All right, guys, that's good. You want to say anything else? You want to say goodbye? Thank you. Did you ever hear Adderall out there? I don't know. My goodness. He was like... So, Sienna, good job. Good job. Never ceases to amaze me. It's gold. They're little pots of gold. So, Sienna, tell me about the story that happened... In Germany with the steak. Okay. There's this German meat supplier and he found himself in a little bit of a situation. He went to this one restaurant and the restaurant wouldn't pay him the money that they owed him. It was about 400 euros, a little more than 500 bucks in the U.S. And so what did he do? He wanted his money. And if he wasn't going to get his money, he was going to take his steak back. Wow. So he walked into the restaurant during business hours and started.
Taking plates of steak while people were eating it. Of course. Steak that's in the back kitchen just marinating. Starts taking it. All of it. Takes it all and leaves. I would totally do that. Oh, yeah. If I was that guy. Hey, it's mine. That's mine. You didn't pay for it. You're not going to pay for it. I'm taking it back. Police arrived at the scene after he left and they said that no offense was committed. What? Which is what's the greatest thing. I wonder what that 911 call might have sounded like. 911, what's your emergency? Oh, my goodness. Yes, thank you. I am in a restaurant here. Oh, my goodness. And this very feminine man is over here taking steaks off of people's plates, including my plate. He's out of control. He's calling himself the steak burglar or something like that. He took a steak off your plate, man. Right off my plate. Do you hear him yelling in the background? I do. I'm just putting some information in the computer here for the officer when he arrives. Oh, my goodness. Can I talk to him, please? Yeah. Oh, here, here, here. Hey, guys. Hello, who is this? This is the 911 operator. What is 911? My name is Wolfgang. Okay, Wolfgang. Wolfgang. What, what, what? Say something. What are you doing? What are you doing? I'm taking my mates back. Why are you? Did you take a woman's steak right after? Yes, they don't pay the bill.
Okay, who doesn't pay the bill? The gentleman who owns the restaurant, Mikey. This isn't, my name's not Mike. What is your name, Bill? No, it isn't. What is your name? That's none of your business, sir. I'm a 911 operator. Great, what is 911? This is an emergency services number. Oh, great. Is this an emergency? I just want to get paid for my meat. Okay, I understand that, sir, but you can't take it off of a patron's plate. I can do whatever I want. Okay. Please don't take meat off of people's plate. Please don't interrupt me when I'm repoing my meat. We're going to send the officer down. Oh, my. He can speak with you, and when he gets there, he'll discuss.
this further with you. That sounds fabulous. Okay, but until then, please don't bother any more patrons. Please keep your eyes on your own paper. All right, my name's not Mikey. Okay, Bill. No, it's not Bill or Mikey. Okay, Todd. My name isn't Todd or Bill or Mikey, so thank you. Okay, Matt. Okay, we're going to send an officer down. Thank you for... Great, thank you. Thank you. Oh. Where'd the bill come from? Yeah. I don't know. I think I know a Todd and a Matt and Mikey. Todd, Matt, Mikey, and Bill. Bill. What about Jay? Yeah. You forgot that. 570-1949. I'm going to tell you about the iPad in a second. There's a problem with the iPad. Weird. I'm going to fill you in on that. Yeah, it drove me nuts. Shocking. Weird. Everybody always says, don't get the stuff when it first comes out. I always get the stuff. You got to wait two years for it to be perfect, and then something better comes along. No, you got to be a late adopter, get to work out all the kinks, get the price down. You wait two years for that to happen, and then they're like, oh, you guys that have the iPad, you're really going to want the iClown or whatever it is. The iClown. The iClown. Tonight is our meet and greet. It's going to be at Stone Brew, and it's happening from 5 to 7. Yes. Holler!
It's going to be great. And people can come out and meet us and get our new M1 Nation sticker that's going to be out. Susanna's outside the door. Let's bring her in here. Because I know she might be there tonight, too, right? Weird. She might be at the meet and greet. Susanna's an intern in our accounting department. Yeah. Accounting. Hey, guys. How are you, Susanna? I'm so good. How are you? Yeah, good. I'm so excited for Susanna. I'm just excited. Now, for those of you that have never seen her online. It's no surprise because she's not on there. But I just want to let you know that Susanna is a gorgeous blonde. Thank you. That works in our accounting department. 27 years old. Just beautiful. A dime. Yeah. Thanks, Woods. You're welcome. She's a 10 for sure. And she wears a... Retainer. Retainer. Retainer. It's a retainer. It's a retainer. It's not a big deal, guys. A lot of people wear them when they're seven. She said it's not a pigtail, you guys. It's not a pigtail? No, I said. It's not a big deal. Yeah, thanks, Woods. Woods, good job. Woods always bails me out. Woods what? I have no idea. I always bail her out. She's going to bail her out. Did you hear that, Jamie?
Whoa. She just looked right at your wife and said, isn't that right, Shamey? Why did she shame you? No, I said, I said, Shamey. Yeah. Samey. Samey. Samey. Take your thing out. You guys are both blondes. You take your thing out. Oh, okay. Weird. Wow. That's weird. Definitely got really strange. Wow. Definitely got strange when she was up. Guys. Yeah, definitely got really strange. Take your retainer. Why don't you take out your retainer? Wait, okay. Oh. Sorry. Much better. Yeah, I just get a little drool when that happens. It's no big deal, right? That's right. That's right. Are you going to the meet and greet tonight, Suzanne? Oh, you know it. Yeah? And you know what I'm so excited about? What? The fact that there's going to be an employee-only section, Jamie, where only... Only people that work at Lincoln Financial can, you know. Hang out. Mingle. Right. We're going to have a line for all the other plebeians. Right. Jamie. Weird. It definitely got weird. Well, I don't know of any employee-only area. In fact, I think we're going to be all mingling with each other. But why, why, why would you? Really? Why would you say that?
Are there going to be an employee only area? No, there's not. Really? Are the employees going to get there early and hang out with each other before everyone else gets there? I think me and Jamie are going to carpool with Mike and Rebecca. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, they are. That's no big deal. Yeah, why would it be? Why would it be weird? Why would it be weird? Why would it be weird? I don't know. I'm just a little bit mad. Put your retainer back in. Put your retainer back in. Sorry, you guys just threw me for a loop there. Yeah, it's going to be fun. It will be a lot of fun. Hey, I tell you what, why don't you stop by and you'll say hi to Woods. I'm going to do better than stop by. You are? I'm going to decorate the table. I'm going to get there super early. You're going to decorate the stable. The stable, yeah, that's what I heard. It's the table, but we have promotions people. That's super sweet of you, as usual. Yeah. But we have a promotions team that's going to come out and they actually do all that. So you don't even really have to. Oh, I have special skills.
She has special skills. No, special skills. Skills. Special decorating skills. You do? Yes. What are you going to do? Well, can you worry about that, Mike? Okay. Keep your eyes on your own paper. All right. Wow. She uses all of his lines. She uses all of his lines. They're so funny. Who wouldn't use them? Get it. Okay, weird. Weird. Really weird. Really, Mike? Yeah. Woo! So good. So she's going to come by tonight and decorate the area that we're going to be in. I mean, she doesn't really have to, though. Okay, this coming from the guy who's got plaid sheets. I mean, really was. How does she know that you have plaid sheets? Honey, I promise she's never been to my house. Never been to my house. He said it on the air. No, I never said that. She has flat sheets on the air. They said she has long hair. Do you have a mirror or, I mean, a window to the outside of where your bedroom is? I think what happened was. Take your thing out. Take out your retainer. I think what happened was that one time that you were talking to Greg, you were like, oh, my God, I have flat sheets. And then I was like, oh, I was just walking by and I heard it. Who's Greg? Yeah, I have a buddy in Dallas, Greg, but I've talked to him maybe once since I've been here. Yeah. And I was at my house.
What? Are you sleeping under his bed or something? What are you doing? How would you know that he talked to his friend one time? And have flat sheets. And have flat sheets. Now my wife's going to think something's suspicious. She doesn't look happy. It's an employee-only area, Mike. Wait, what? She's starting to... It's an employee-only area. Put your retainer back in, Susanna. She's freaking me out. She probably sleeps in my room. I gotta get back to work, guys. This is ridiculous. Thanks, Susanna. See you tonight, I guess. See you tonight. Bye, Woods. Have you ever had her to your house? No, I've never had her to my house. She's probably peering through your window. She's probably peering through your window. And paying attention to you while you're sitting at home talking on the phone. Probably sitting on Frankie's shoulders. Crazy. Looking in the window. She probably is. Do you think her and Frankie are like friends or do you think they're in competition? I think they're probably in competition. Yeah. I can almost guarantee it. Did she say suckering suckatash? Yeah, she did. And I think they're going to cut my skin off and split it. That's what they're going to do and wear it.
This was Jimmy Fallon last night on the new Apple iPad. Here's some tech news. Apple is admitting that its iPad sometimes has a hard time connecting to the Internet, and some people are returning them. That's just as wrong. If I returned everything that had a hard time connecting to the Internet, my grandparents would be in big trouble. Wow. No more Red Sox jokes, Jimmy? No more Red Sox jokes, pal? Really? Yeah. Guy got a dirt nap two nights in a row. Didn't feel like running mouth those nights, did he? But Woods, you don't tell us when the Yankees lose to the Red Sox. I told you. You did? Yeah. I thought you didn't and we had to tell you. We brought it up on the air. No idea what you're talking about. Okay. And then funny guy wants to come make jokes. I didn't know this, by the way, about the iPad, but apparently it's having a hard time connecting the internet. What a beating. Yeah, it is. I want one. What do you get it for if you can't connect to the internet? That's the big deal with it. To be cutting edge. You have to be like those teenagers in Pennsylvania that just bought it to smash it with a baseball bat. Made a YouTube video. What's in the bag? Oh, yeah. Speaking of technology. What is that? That's my wife's iPhone. Whoa. Did Susanna get a hold of that? Can everybody see this? Look at that. That's your wife. It's like completely shattered, the glass on it. What happened? She was at the dump, dumping all this stuff from our house. We're getting ready to move here. And I guess it fell out of her car. And she saw it, and it was laying face down. Right. And she's like, oh, it made it.
Right. And she picks it up, and somebody had run over it. Oh, wow. And it looks... It looks like Susanna got a hold of it. Yeah, it looks like Susanna found her iPhone, and we'll take a picture of it. It's insane. Hey, Woods, what were you doing while she was at the dump? I think I was surfing. Yeah, you were surfing with me. Something like that. How many dump runs did she make that day? How many have you made, hon, all total dump runs? Like eight. Eight dump runs, plus a garage sale. This beautiful blonde woman has been making dump runs for this guy while he's been here. It's unbelievable. She's kind of a superwoman. You know how I call her that morning. I'm on my way to Jay's to go surfing, and she's like, what are you doing? I'm like, going surfing. She's like, silence. I would be furious. I've been up since four, about to have this garage sale. Have fun surfing, though. Love you. Unbelievable. Just dead man. Pepper's picking the music today. That's why you're hearing some Gypsy King's Bambolio. Sounds like one of your picks, pal. Does it really? Does it really? Bambolio, really. Let's see. What's he saying? Bambolio. What's that mean, Mike? It means that Mikey's going to be making some enchiladas tonight. Tamales. Rolling some tamales tonight. Bambolio. Mikey, you speak Mexican. What's he saying? Spanish oil. Spanish.
It's the same, isn't it? No. No, we've been over there. How are they different? I don't know. Spanish is a language. Mikey, how do you say in Spanish, your mama's so fat? Yeah. You guys want to do the Incorporator? Let's do it. I didn't hear any cheers. It said, do you guys want to do the Incorporator? He needs to be pumped up. You got it. Kid needs to get pumped up. You know that. We'll do some Incorporator. Hey, by the way, I got to hear this. Sienna's going to tell us one of the biggest iPhone criticisms is being corrected this summer. This summer. There's lots of ways coming our way right now as we've got a combination of different swells out of the south, southwest, and some west, northwest out there too. Both on the increase, so we should see an increase in size throughout the day as well. Kind of broken up, a little shifty here and there. Beach break's looking to be the better bet, especially first thing this morning with the higher tide that we've just passed. As the day continues, swell fills in. All areas should just get better. One little stymie factor, though, could be this wind that we've got. Right now, pretty light out of this east-southeast, but there could be an eddy forming, which would cause that wind to turn more southerly. And if it does so, look for conditions to deteriorate. But it's kind of a coin to us right now, so keep an eye on it. For up-to-the-minute surf reports and forecasts, go to surfline.com. Back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9.
Wow, Lauren. How about that? How can you not dance? Lauren with a little John Denver. It's gorgeous. I haven't heard this forever. It's a jam. That's right. Welcome back. It's Mikey Show. And you can call us 570-1949. Or you can text us 949mikey at gmail.com. And we're going to be doing the incorporator. So call us right now if you have a common word or phrase. And Woodsy will incorporate that into a phone call. We are going to be calling a tack and feed place. Really? Tack and feed? What is that? Tack and feed, I believe. Like tackle? Just ask Jay. Wait, bait and tackle? No. Tack and feed, I believe, is horse feed. Jamie, what is the tack and feed store? Horse supplies. Look at me. I was right. Horse supplies? Yeah. Okay. It's a great piece of cake. Saddles. So it looks like Lauren's fridge.
Exactly. I don't have saddles in my fridge. Don't you? Hey, obviously. Hey, obviously. It's like brushes, I guess, for horses. Right? Oh, God. It's getting harder and harder every week. So call us right now. 570-1949. By the way, I am speaking tomorrow morning at my home church, North Coast Church in Vista. Hello. It's ladies only. What? Whoa, big time. Exactly. It's ladies only. Lauren, that's a church. I think so. Sorry. Let's clean it up a little bit. It's going to be at their venue, The Edge. Sweet. The Edge. Yeah, it's going to be at The Edge. Is your wife going? Yes, she is. I don't blame her. Yeah, it's all ladies. And so if there's any ladies that want to go to North Coast Church and Vista on Melrose, speak in there tomorrow morning, 9 a.m. And the food, fantastic. Dude, you know what they served at the men's one last month? What? Pork chops grilled on an open fire. Why are they having you talk to the ladies? They had me talk to the guys last month. Okay. And then they do a women's breakfast. I guess they do it once a year or something. I thought it was because you guys all carried purses.
Is that why? Is that why? You guys going to have, like, pillow fights? Yes. Manicures ahead. Talk about Grey's Anatomy. Yeah, first we do a mani-pedi. Yeah. And then we talk about... Talk about God a little bit, and then... And then back to... Pillow fight. Yes, exactly. So that's tomorrow morning. Be nice. Good luck. Let's see. So tell me about the iPhone deal. What's the biggest criticism that they're going to fix this summer? Well, you have an iPhone. I have an iPhone. And I think this is the same problem that I've noticed recently is that you can't run third-party apps in the background. So, like, if you're on the phone and you want to go and check your text messages, you can't do it. Oh, yeah. And it's like, oh, you know, someone's like, well, let me just check my text real quick. Right. And I know you can do it on the BlackBerrys because I used to have that. Yeah. Right? Jamie, you have an iPhone too, right? Or you did? It got ran over. No, but yeah, you can't check anything. And it's like, oh, I know you can do a couple like you can go to contacts. You can put people on hold, do speakerphone, whatever. Yeah. But if you want to check a text message, an email, you can't do it. Right. So anyway, Steve Jobs is saying he just announced yesterday that they're doing an OS revision.
that is going to be coming out this summer, and it's going to have iPhone software 4.0. So it's going to be a new iPhone with all new apps. There's going to be over 100 new features, a unified email inbox. Support from Apple's new iBook store, a social gaming network, a bunch of cool different things that this new iPhone's going to have. Really? The 4.0. That's cool. Another $700 down the drain at my house. Perfect. Well, one of the things that makes me nuts about iPhone is not being able to do a bunch of different things at once. Really? Yeah, that's weird. What do you need to do? Like, if you're on the phone and it's like, diddly, you get a text message, you're like, hold on a second, I want to see who texts me. Really? You can't do that on an iPhone. Mm-mm. Well, you can't, I think the deal is, is that you can't start texting back and forth. Why would you want to do that if you're on a phone call? I think you may be able to see a text message come in. I don't know. I mean, this was an instance that happened to me yesterday. I was talking to Todd on the phone and I was like, man, I was trying to check an email to tell him about something that it said. And I was like, oh, I can't do it. And that's really frustrating because you need to do that a lot. You know what you do? Hang up. Hang on. I'm going to call you back. So I'm going to check my email and then I'm going to call you. No, but I wanted to read it word for word. You know what you do then?
What? Hey, I'm going to see you when I get home. We can read it together. Really? No, it's exciting, and I want to tell him right then and there. Well, I saw some commercial. I don't know what it was, but it was a group of friends. They were all talking while watching the NCAA. The same thing? Yeah, and they were talking about it, and then their one friend was like, wah, wah, wah, because he couldn't be on the phone and also see it. You know what you do then? What's that? You put it on your TV and talk on the phone with everybody. But he was in a cab. You know what you do then? You pull over to a sports bar and go inside and watch it. Stop it. He needed to get someone. 570-1949. Woodsy's got to leave the room. The words and phrases are great. The words and phrases are great. You have them all lined up? Yeah, they're lining up right now. I love them. I'm looking at them. He's eating a Krispy Kreme in the hall. Oh, my God. I just looked at him. He held it up like, cheers. He just held it up. Yeah, he held it up, showed me the number four, and said, that's my fourth, pal. Wow. Where are the Krispy Kremes? In the hall. I'll have to go hit those up in a minute. Yeah, they look good. Okay, let's take some of these calls and see what words we're getting for Woodsy to have. Now, if you don't know, and can you do me a favor, Pepper? Yo.
Come around and write these words down for me in a row so that it's easy for me to be able to go to them. Because we hang up on them and then they're not on my screen anymore. So I don't know what they are to be able to give them to him. And it's hard to talk to people while writing at the same time. Okay. So you just got to write those all down in a row for me so that I have them. Do you want me to shine your shoes while I'm down there? Please. That would be really nice. M1 Scorpio. Hey, I just wanted to say good morning, Mikey Show. Good morning, bro. How are you guys doing today? Good, dude. Doing awesome, man. It's Friday. That's right. What's your word or phrase? This one's in tradition of Woodsy. That's what she said. Perfect. Perfect. He'll get that in so easy, though. You know he will. That's right. I hope so. M1 Eddie. Good morning, Mikey Show. Good morning. Massage oil. That'll work. Massage oil will work. Yeah. I got to hide so he can't see what I'm saying because he's trying to read my lips. Get out of here with your window peeking. M1 Angela. Good morning. Good morning. My word is taco. Taco. Very nice. Hang on the line. Or no, you don't have to hang on the line. M1 Jen. Hi. What's your word or phrase? Epic failure. Epic failure? Mm-hmm.
Yeah, that works. That's a common word or phrase. M1, what's your name? Hello? Yes, La Migra. La Migra. Yeah. What's your word or phrase? Audacious. Very good. Very good. Audacious. That works. M1 Harold. Hey, thank God I'm a country boy. That works for me. Thank you. Now, let's see. That's how many? Two, three, four, five, six. We need two more. Anybody in here have any? Anybody in here want to throw one out? It's a common word or phrase. Armadillo. Armadillo's good. Somebody else have one? About banana. Works. Smart. We have enough. We got enough. Come on in. What's he's wearing? A pink shirt today? Salmon. It's not salmon. It's not. It's not. It's pink. Yeah. When he walked in today, Jesse said to him, did you watch that with something red? Yeah.
He said, no, pink's the new white is actually his exact words. All right. All right. What are we covering our mouths for? What are we in a casino now? Well, yeah, because I don't want you to read my lips. Read lips. You think I'd be here if I could read lips? Really? Clowns. All right. We're calling a tack and feed place. Whatever that is. What's the first word, pal? First, it's a phrase. Right. That's what she said. Okay. All right. Here. I can feed. Uh, yes, sir. I have, uh, a few questions for you. My name is Mike. I, uh, I had a great uncle pass away and leave me some horses and I am pretty much clueless as to what to do, uh, with them or how to feed them. I mean, I really want to keep them and everything, but I just kind of, I don't even know what to feed them. And do you, do you feed them like oats? Well, we have a horse feed. Is it wet or dry? Uh, we've, we've got both. Okay. That's what she said. Uh, massage oil.
Okay, do I need to be like, one of them is kind of limping around. Do I need to rub massage oil on its tendons or anything? Like I said, I'm clueless as to what to do. Well, you've got to be kind of careful with that. Get behind the horse. When you rub it down like that, you don't want to get kicked or anything. Well, yeah, that's for sure. Really, man, I don't want to end up losing these horses and they get turned into taco meat or anything like that. Yeah, because seriously, I'm like an epic failure when it comes to animals and how to care for them, man. So I'm just kind of clueless. Podacious. Yeah, I mean, it's basically an inheritance. Yeah, so I can understand. Okay. Well, yeah, I mean, do you guys, do you do like a course or anything where I could come in and kind of learn, you know, what would happen or the best way to handle things? Well, we do something like that. Right. Since you're, you know, kind of at the horse thing.
You can come down to the shop and we can answer any questions that you've got. Well, that would be bodacious, man, if I could come down and hang with you guys and you guys can fill me in on what to do. Say that one more time. No problem at all. Okay. I mean, when you wake up in the morning, man, you probably know a lot about horses seeing as how you run a feed store. Do you wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and say, thank God I'm a country boy? I like what I do. I enjoy the horse. That's cool, man. I'm from Texas. Just, you know, the land of the armadillo. So I'm used to seeing those running around, man. Never really had much to do with horses. Banana. You know what I mean? Oh, yeah, yeah. Okay. Well, cool. You know, I want to come in later today. My daughter's out there wanting to feed them bananas, man. They won't eat bananas, will they?
Okay. Well, dude, I sure appreciate your time. You've been great. And I will see you later today. Okay. Okay. Thanks very much, buddy. Thank you. Okay. See ya. Well done, friend. Oh, the fake laugh. That's what she said. Massage oil, taco, epic failure, bodacious, thank God I'm a country boy, armadillo, and banana. Which one gave you the biggest fits? Because I don't really know what it means. It's like gnarly. You said it perfectly. Did I? All right. The only thing I knew from Bodacious is there's a place in Texas called Bodacious Barbecue. So I'm like, I wonder if that means good. Yeah, it's like radical. Radical. I'm sure it means good if it's what they're calling their restaurant. Yeah, absolutely. Disgusting barbecue. That actually went pretty. Repulsive. It went pretty smoothly as far as the kind of words. The armadillo was like seamless. Dude. I was like, man. All I know is that I get so nervous when I give you that word and I look at you because now,
It's to the point where sometimes you'll give me the, okay, great, pal, thanks. Thank you. And sometimes you give me the no problem, and then I'm looking over at you, and I'm like, is he going to be able to do this? Is he going to get it? Is he going to get it? I've never missed. You did all right with that. I was nervous about banana, though, because that was my word, and I thought you were going to be like, really? Really, Pepper? Really? Pep, can we pull the curtain back with you yesterday? Sure. Another brick. Another brick comes tumbling down. Pepper said that she dumped a guy because she... I can't wait. She dumped a guy because she saw him pull a wedgie. Oh. Really? I was in sixth grade. That's pretty nasty in sixth grade. It's pretty nasty now. Yeah. Let's hope Matt doesn't get any wedgies. Well, now it's just like, whatever, you know. You can dig for gold in front of me, and I'm like, whatever. But he picked it. Yeah. In the hallway? He was, like, walking, like, by himself. Like, I saw him at the locker, and it was, like, still new. We'd been dating for, like, two hours. Yeah. And I saw him, like, walking down the hallway, and I wasn't going to be like, hey. I don't even want to tell you what his name was because you guys will make fun of me. What is it? Bert. This is in New Jersey. Let's guess. Bert. You'll never guess. We'll not guess it. Ronaldo. I almost said Ronaldo. It was weird. It was Rocky. No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. No, it wasn't. Yes.
Weird. It was a nickname. It was a nickname. But, yeah, we all called him it. His name is Rocky. He's on Facebook as Rocky. Really? I hope he's not listening right now. And I guarantee you his picture is him shirtless in a mirror with his phone. 100%. With a baseball cap. With a baseball cap to the side and his eye rock behind him. Yeah. No. I think he's, like, married with kids now. Doesn't mean he can't be shirtless in a mirror. You break up with anybody for a stupid reason? Yeah. He just couldn't spell. Are you serious? Absolutely. Are you surprised by that? What do you mean? Yeah, what? In a note, she said something about somebody being a looser. L-O-O-S-E-R. A looser. A looser. That would drive me nuts, too. You are a looser. And so you said, it's done. I'm done. How did you do it? Just broke up with her. You said, hey, it's not working. Yeah, so this didn't work. Knowing me back then, I probably just didn't talk to her anymore. That's kind of my bit until I was married. I used to send other people to be like, by the way, you're dumped. You're dumped. You did? My bit till I was married was literally, I would be dating somebody. Dating, like a few dates. And then I'd be like, yeah, that's not going to work. And I'd just stop calling. I did that too. I called the fizzle out. Yeah, just let it fizzle. What did I do? And I'd get these messages. I thought things were going really well. I don't know what happened. Delete. Yeah, delete. Just like, ew, I don't want to hear that. And you just stopped talking to them? This was the day before cell phone.
I mean, literally when I started dating Jamie, I had like my first cell phone. It was a gold Nokia. Wait, you're telling me that as an adult. Yeah. Wait a minute. Did you just say it? Yeah, it's a gold Nokia. Thanks very much. That's what I got in high school. Yeah. George Foreman. Who does that? Who does a gold Nokia? I don't think it was made of gold. It was gold in color. I know. I'm just like, you know. Sienna's was made of gold. Yeah. Sienna's was actually made of real gold. That's what I meant. I got it in high school. It's an 18 pound phone. It was real gold. That was my bit. Really, really heavy. How old? How old? I'm 34 now. We're talking 25? 24? Come on. Yeah. That you would be 25 years old, you'd date a girl, and you just would not talk to them anymore? Oh, yeah. And you were dating? Yeah. He's a jerk. You too, Pepper? Nothing wrong with that. What do you mean there's nothing wrong with that? It's weird. Fizzle out, dude. Fizzle out. This is such a huge move. You just fist bumped Woods. Believe it or not, I don't like confrontation. But it seems to find me. And I would just be like, eh, I'm not really out on her. I found somebody else I'm more in on. So I just start dating them. And they're like, I thought, dude, we're not going to go to this play that you said? I thought we were. Who's this? Sienna, did you ever break up with somebody for a dumb reason? I wouldn't say it was a dumb reason, but there was this really hot guy. I was dating in high school on his breath.
Not the business. And he had a pickup truck. I was like, oh. Really? I wouldn't say we even dated. I was like, thought about it and I'm out. Didn't you know? No, not really. I wasn't ever talking real close to him before. And so you Frenched him and then you were out. Gross. Yeah, that's a deal breaker. Get out of my face. That's not even a dumb reason. No, that's why I said it's not really a dumb reason. That's actually a good reason. 570-1949. If you ever dump somebody. For a dumb reason. How about you, K-Cup? They take your pen? They took my pens. They ran your highlighter dry? No, I don't think I did. Really? No, I don't remember doing it. I don't remember doing it for goofy reasons. Didn't some girl fart? Wait a minute. Yeah, some girl farted. Didn't you dump her? Oh, yeah. You dumped her. Well, we weren't dating, though. Like, we went on a date. I didn't ask her out on another date. Yeah, I didn't ask her out on another date. She wore CK1 perfume. And I left the room and she passed gas. And when I came back in, I remember those two fragrances mixed together. You can't cover it up. The mix-off is the worst. I said, did somebody just fart Calvin Klein? Like, is Calvin Klein underneath my bed right now?
Yeah. Obsession for fart. So great. Fart for men. Yeah. Fart for men by Calvin Klein. It's the new Miley Cyrus perfume. All right. The only place you could fart, and I don't think anyone would smell it, is Abercrombie. Have you ever gone in there? Mm-mm. You've never been in? Of course not. I'm 800 pounds. And you're 39. What would I be doing in Abercrombie? Do you guys have those hats with the shredded bills? No, no, no. No, you don't? I haven't gotten one in a long time either. Even when you walk by, you can smell it. It smells, yes. I mean, they dump bottles of cologne and perfume on clothes. Men, that's good to know in a mall with your lady. If something needs to happen, just pop in Abercrombie real quick. It's my little sister's birthday. You think you'll have the mix off? I don't think you will because that smell is so strong in there. M1 Jimmy. Jimmy, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Give me the reason that you broke up with a girl. I broke up. What? The phone's breaking up. Yeah, we got you. Yeah, we can hear you. Can you hear me? Oh, yeah, yeah, I can hear you. Yeah, tell me the reason that you broke up with a girl. Actually, my brother. My brother was dating this girl, and they were going to make tortas. You know what a torta is, right? It's like a sandwich. They were going to make what? Tortas. You should know what a torta is, Mike. Of course I do. Of course I do. All right, well, he told her to cut the bread so they could make the torta, and she was going to cut it, like, down the middle. Uh-huh.
to the bottom. Yes. And that's not how you cut it. And he's like, no, no, no, you have to cut it, you know, through the side. And, you know, so there's a piece of bread on the bottom, a piece of bread on top. Well, they actually cut it on the subway. Maybe. Hey, listen. They have no clue. Hey, listen. Maybe he did a quick calculation and he thought to himself, I can't live with that. This broad can't cook. I'm out. Yeah. He wants someone to be able to make a sandwich. She couldn't even cut a piece of bread. So did he break up on the spot with her? No, he waited like a few days. He asked people, like, what do you think? What do you guys think? That's pretty bad. His brother can't even make a sandwich. Yeah, how do you love that he talked to people and the advice that he got back, like the input that he got back from his friends was, what's your problem? Why are you still with her? She can't make a sandwich. Hey, man. Yesterday. She couldn't cut the bread, man. All you wanted was a torta. It's not like you asked for my noodle. Yeah, bro, she couldn't make a torta. What are you still doing with it? I can't wait to taste her enchilada. Get rid of her right now, man. I got a girl I've been trying to introduce to you for days, man, and she can make a torta like nobody's business. It's important, you know? His buddy's a cheech. Yeah, absolutely. Your brother's cheech. Thank you. M1 Christina? That's a great call. What happened?
Okay, so I went to a park with this guy I was dating in high school, and we went on something called the Spider. And there's a ride with the arms, and it goes up and down, and the seat moves around and all that. And the guy I was with, he looked funny, but I didn't think anything of it. I was having fun. And so I look over, and he's turned his head, and he's puking on the seat. next to me, and the puke is coming down the seat towards me, and it was just really disgusting, so I never spoke to him again. How old were you? I think I was about 15 or 16. Oh, yeah, that's a deal breaker when you're 15 or 16. Guy pukes? That happened to Jamie, too, my wife, and guess what? She married him. Really? Yeah, she married the guy. I vomited on a ride, pansy. Are you kidding me? I did. Remember? Six Flags? Yeah. On the ride? On the ride. While it was still going on. When it pulled in and they hit the brakes, I went. And, you know, multiple times. And I don't throw up quietly. I don't throw up quietly. Jamie, was this in the beginning of a relationship? Come over. Was it in the beginning? It was a couple of years, maybe. So here's my question for you. Because we were talking about this the other day. Actually, I may have you go over to that microphone so it's easier.
We were talking about this the other day. Do you remember the exact moment that you knew you were in love with Woods? I think the first time was when he left me a toenail clipping on my pillow. That's when I knew it. That's my man. She just knew. She hates toenails. We fell in love when I moved away. Yes. Says he. That's true. Because you knew you missed him? Yeah. I think we talked on the phone. Seven hours a day. I wouldn't go to work. Where did you move? Vegas. Oh, that's right. Really? Yeah. We're going to talk. Why? Because my feeling was that sometimes you're not really the phone guy. Seven hours. Easily, right? Right. We had a huge phone bill. My cell phone, or my home cordless phone died.
She's like, go to Walgreens, get another phone. So I went to Walgreens, got one of those $9 phones and plugged it in. No way. That's when we fell in love. Dude, we don't ever have conversations like that, man. What's the deal with that, man? Well, dude, I get home and I'm tired. I don't feel like gabbing. Ask Jamie now. We don't talk on the phone that long. People let me tell you about my best friend. He's a warm-hearted person. You're unbelievable, dude. I know. No, dude, I'm sorry. Can't even believe it. We should have hung out like 10 years ago. Kind of best friend are you? So 10 years ago you would have hung out? Yeah, I would have hung out with Frankie. I'm more private now. You know that. Did you guys hear about the teenager that got attacked by a bull on Monday? No. Happened in Maine. Now that's weird. It happened in Maine. Not Spain, are you sure? No, Maine. Not Texas either. We're going to tell you all about it and what he plans on doing to get back at the bull. True story. Not kidding. Citizen Cope, Picasso, do some Sienna sings too. We'll do that with a live studio audience in the studio. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949. Or text 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up. Are you sure this thing is some sort of cult? Let me tell you, Mama Testa is not just some of the best Mexican food in San Diego. It's some of the best Mexican food in the country. It's some of the best Mexican food in the country, I'm telling you. And I've told Cesar this. Cesar's the guy that owns Lama Testa. I've told Cesar this myself. It is in a completely different category of good. I think that there's good food, and then there's what I call special, which means you're not going to get this anywhere else in the world except for this one place.
And it's Mama Testa. They're really, really good, man. They're in University Avenue corner of Richmond and University. His mom's recipes. It's all his mom's recipes. And it really does taste like that. And the thing that's so cool, too, is that he only uses free range meats. Yeah, hormone free. Really good. Really good stuff. You can taste the difference, too. Absolutely can. Yeah. So you got to give it a shot. Mama Testas, welcome back to the show. It's a Mikey show. And so this is an interesting story. This teenager was attacked by a bull in Maine. Yeah. Crazy. 17 years old, he was trying to round up the bull and steer. They have a family farm. This is apparently something that's normal for him to do. He couldn't steer it. Yeah, but the bull almost went out of its pen, so the teenager came up behind him and gave him a little whack and told him, you know, turn around to get back into the pen. The bull didn't like the whack. Weird. Yeah. And turned around. Bull's name is Cinnamon. Charged.
Charged at him, hit him twice in the back, flipped him in the air, and then stomped on him before his mother and neighbor were able to free him from underneath the bull. Right. So now what? So he's in the hospital right now. He says that he's feeling pretty good. He's going to be fine. You know, a couple bruises, as I'm sure you can imagine. But he said we're probably going to be eating him eventually. But now that this has happened, the bull's already been cut up. And he said, I'm going to enjoy every minute of eating it. He's actually going to eat the bull that attacked him. Well, that's why they have this deer and the bull, you know, to eat. But that's why now he's real excited to eat it. That is nuts. Already been slaughtered. You ready to do some of this? Yes. Have Sienna get after it. And sing. A song about myself. No, this is great. What we do is we have a computer monitor in front of Sienna right now. And what she's looking at is karaoke. And it's got the words that go across. Just right on YouTube. Right on YouTube. And it'll tell her when to start singing, when not to start singing. Well, the thing is, is that a lot of times.
She does know the song, and sometimes she doesn't know the song. Not so much. I like it better when she doesn't know the song. I do, too. I do, too. Everybody likes it better when she doesn't know the song, except Sienna. I like when I know the song. Now, the deal is that we don't know. I have no idea whether or not she knows the song. She can also carry a tune. This first one, I want you to let it at least get to the chorus. Okay. Woods picks them, and Jay. I picked them. Yeah, and they put it on my computer, and I'm not allowed to look at them until they pop it up, and Jay's here running the whole thing, so I don't even know what's happening until the song plays. Are we ready? What's the first one? Creep. Creep. Creep by Radiohead? Yes. You know that. Oh, man, I thought TLC. I got that. Now, you can yell it out here in the studio. Do you think that she'll know Creep Radiohead? No. You believe she will. Thank you. Someone's got my back here. Let's roll it. We're here before. Look you in the eye. You're just like an angel. Your skin makes... What the hell? I don't know. I just... I'm going to have fun with it. You float like a feather in a beautiful world. Wow. What? What's wrong? Am I close? I like it. I wish I was special.
I am special. You're so bleeping. Special. But I'm a creep. But I'm a creep. That's the best. That's the best. Let her say the next one. I'm a weirdo. Wow. I'm a weirdo. What's panics when the swear word comes on? I'm like, yeah, I'm just going to say it. Ron Burgundy would. Yeah, Ron Burgundy over there would have said it. I 100% would say it. It had the little symbols, but I just didn't want to, you know. Woods got so panicked. Don't say that! What's the next one? I didn't say F on the radio. I know. What's the next one? I don't know. Mr. Big. Which song? A.K.A. Woods. To Be With You. Oh, wow. She's going to not know that. You think she'll know it? Yes. You think she will? Oh, yeah. I used to know it. You ready, Sienna? Yeah. Hold on. Hit it. Hold on. What? What do we think? I think yes. What do you guys say? No. No way? Mike? You mean you guys didn't like my first version? This one, this one. I think she might know that. I think say yes. She knows this. This is a absolute home run. She does not know it. Really? There is no way.
I would put a lot of money on it. Mr. Biggs on Sex and the City. You don't know. It's a different Mr. Biggs. So then definitely I changed my vote. Yes, 100%. I changed my vote. You don't know. Roll it. Fate will twist the both of you. Yes. I love the country version. Come on, baby. Come on over. Let me be the one to show you. Is this Reba McIntyre? I'm the one who wants to be with you. It's not a country. I was going to go with that. Yeah, you might as well. Wow. Be the one to show you. We got to start, Woods. We got to start making bets. Oh, absolutely. We got to start making bets. Oh, man. It's unbelievable. It's great. What's the next one, Jay? Hold the line by Toto. No way in the world. What is it? No way. Hold the line by Toto. Dorothy's dog. I'd sing it for you. Was she no hold the line by Toto? No way. No way in the world. You guys, no one has my back, really? No. Have I not impressed you yet? Not on this one. She may go. This will be the first week in like five weeks that she may go over. Yeah, she's never. I've done over. She's gone over on the first week, maybe the second week, and then she was like.
3 for 3, 2 for 3, 3 for 3. I don't think I was. Was I ever 3 for 3? Yeah, you were 3 for 3 one day. One time you got them all. Let's hit it. It's not in the way that you hold me. I don't know, you guys. It's pretty close. It's not in the way you say you can. Just give me a second. Give me a second. It's not in the way you've been treating my friends. Does she know it? It's not in the way that you stayed till the end. We'll know it right here. It's not in the way you look for things. Say what you do. Pull the line. Oh, she knows the chorus. Love is in always some time. She got it. She knew it. So it doesn't matter that I don't know the verses. You got the chorus. You knew it. And if I would have bet, I would have lost. Because she knew that one. She knew the chorus. That would have been the one I would have thought of all three. That one you wouldn't have known. I think maybe Todd.
That was Todd's senior prom theme song. That was 1984. My mom was rocking me in a cradle to it. Absolutely she was. When Todd graduated high school in 84. That was their prom song. Yeah, for sure. Yeah, the first week that Sienna was able to go poopoo in the potty, that song was number one on the Billboard charts. Todd was in a Camaro. Yeah, Todd was in a Camaro. Oh, my God. Oh, that's fantastic. Yesterday, when we went to lunch, one of the most interesting questions was asked. We'll even poll people in the studio about this. Oh, yeah. Gratuity was added to the bill. 18%. Question came up. Do we add to it? I didn't hear this conversation. You didn't? Weird. It was Adele. Adele. Adele. It's Adele. It's Adele. And she said, she's our sales girl. She picked up lunch. She said, there's 18% sales tax on this. Or 18% gratuity that's been added to this. She said, do we add to it? And I said, absolutely. What did I say? No. I said, absolutely. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You said, absolutely. I don't remember what Sienna said. Do you? I said.
If they're a really good waiter or waitress, I think throw a couple more bones on there. But if it's like whatever there or whatever, just leave it. 18% is still good. And somebody else said, you absolutely do not add it. Who said that? That was me. Jay and one of the other girls that we were having lunch with said no because they didn't even come back and refill some of the drinks. Right. They charge for refills. Yeah. That's not her fault. Yeah, she didn't make the policies, pal. Hey, but she was not attentive at all. Like, I set my drink there. I was like, uh, anything? You're my dad. That's a different story, though. You're my dad and Lauren's mom at dinner. We came here for a nice meal. No, no. And we are damn well going to pay for it and get a nice meal. I would have got up and got it myself. If they would have let me, I would have got up and refilled my ding-ding drink myself. But you know what? Ding-ding. Ding-ding. That's why I'm excited, okay? When I get excited, I say things like ding-ding. Bro, who doesn't tip 20%? A lot of people. When you limit me to the amount, if you're going to go ahead and auto-charge me, then, hey, it's your fault, not mine. 570-1949 or text us. Yeah, yeah, come up to the microphone. She's a server. You guys might hate me, or maybe you'll agree with me, but I'm a server at Extraordinary Desserts downtown. I love that place. Yeah, it's awesome. I had a party of, like, 10 people, and parties at 8 or more, we add on an 18% gratuity, because if they stiff us, that's, you know, so many people. Right.
I had, and I don't, I usually don't say anything because it's supposed to be the front's job. You know, party of eight walks up and the hostess says, just so you know, there's going to be gratuity added on. I feel like as a server, it's awkward to walk up and say, hey guys. Right up to the microphone. Go right up to the mic. So, you know, I give them the bill. There's 18%. It's clear. It says 18% gratuity. It's right on there. It's even on the menu. And their bill was like $120 or something. Right. And so my gratuity is like, I don't know. It was like. It's $26 or something. They add on $30. Oh. So it was like almost $60 of gratitude. And they already left. Right. I felt really bad. You know what you call that? You call that a score. I scored. Because they were $2. You scored. That guy didn't realize that they already added a tip in. He gave what he thought he should have given, which was a generous tip. Right. It's called double your pleasure, double your fun, real good. What bummed me out was that his tip was like more than, you know, 20% would have even been. So he was like totally like being super legit. And he was like super old too. Wait a minute. Now you were the server. Yeah. But you said that you feel awkward saying something. Yeah. And I've talked to the managers and they like agree with me. They're like, yeah, you know, it's not, you know, shouldn't be the server's responsibility because that's, you shouldn't have to talk about like the payment, you know, that way. You know, but you realize that every human being, at least I think.
Every single human being on planet Earth will say this phrase. That's so nice of you to have told us that. Everybody says, thank you for telling me that. That was really nice of you to tell me that. Wait, what? Woods, what do you mean? If I'm there with seven of my best buddies. And some dude walks up, he's like, so you guys know, I'm adding 18% on here. I'd be like, really, dude? Well, first of all, if somebody walked up and said, yeah. Excuse me, sir, I wanted you to know I'll be adding 18%. You know, I'd say, dude, I can read. I can read a menu. What if he said this, Woodsy? What if he goes, hey, just so you know, 18% gratuity's already been added to the bill. I just wanted you to know so that you don't overpay anything. And just so you know, you would have gotten 20 had you not run mouth. No. Pepper. Not true. Not true. That is so what? I, before I came to work in 94.9, the last job that I had was as a server. I've done it for years. And I always pulled that bit. Just so you know, the gratuity has been included. And I would get 99% of the time, thank you so much for letting us know. Or, oh, good. Because the receipts were like, you know, tiny little print. So I'd let them know. Well, one time I was opening up the restaurant. It was like 5 to 11. Restaurant opens at 11.
I have a party of eight that shows up. And they're, like, trying to open the door. It's locked. I'm still pushing tables together. And they're, like, pointing at the handle. And I'm, like, really? Really? Because I'm still making iced tea. You know, whatever. So I let them in anyway. I let them in. But I'm still getting ready. I'm, like, you know what? You guys can sit down. Party of eight. Like, we have one table that accommodates a big party. And that's it. We're just a cafe, not a huge restaurant. And they're, like, we don't really want a round table. do you think that you can push? So I start like going above and beyond. Meanwhile, other customers are starting to show up. I'm not done my prep work. I'm pushing the tables together for them, everything. So I go and I'm like, you know, pleasantness can be with them. I know you probably find that hard to believe with, but I was so pleasant and everything. And so like a minute or two before the food comes out, this guy's like pulls me aside and goes, uh, is our food almost ready? And I'm like, Yeah. It'll be right out. You're a big party. You guys came a little early. They were still prepping. It'll be out. He goes, yeah, it's taking a long time. I go, I'll check on it. It'll be right out. I go back. Little ding bell. Food's all ready. Of course. Everyone's food is ready except that guy. Of course. So I'm sure he, so I have to go. I bring everyone their food and I'm like, yours will be right out. Meanwhile, I'm doing everything I can. Bringing more bread, refilling the drinks, doing what I can as a server. Yeah. So they go through and I'm like killing them with kindness the whole rest of the meal.
End of the meal comes, and I didn't say, just so you know, I added 18%. Oh, boy. Because I was walking by with a handful of dishes, and he reaches his hand and snaps his fingers behind him and goes, I'll take the check, and points to his own head without even, like, looking me in the eye like this. Right. Yeah, so anyway. So I'm like, I've had it with this guy. So I bring him the check, whatever. I add the 18% because I didn't want to get stiff. I add it to him. So he comes up. He tells, like, in front of the manager, he goes, Hey, how much gratuity did you add on there? I go, 18%, sir. It says it on our menu for parties of six or more. Blah, blah, blah, blah. He goes. What does that mean? He goes, service was compromised. And I'm like, really? And he's like, took a long time. You know, I go, well, that's not exactly my fault. Don't shoot the messenger. And he goes. So I go, okay, well, I will take that. And I will give you. I go, I will take that off and you can give me what you feel I deserve. And he goes, perfect. And like he had to come up and say it in front of my manager. My manager didn't care anyway. So I take it back. I run his car. I take it back. And in front of the table, I said, excuse me, sir, is this yours? He goes, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I go, you have a great day. And I got right in his face and threw it down in front of him. So he leaves and I thought for sure. I'm like, oh, yeah, I'm going to be stiff. I'm going to be stiff. Came back.
He leaves me more than what the 18% was. Really? He just wanted to make, like, a principal thing of it. Like, I think it was that I didn't tell him that it was added. In his mind, he was like... That proves it then. I would have gone back and been like, excuse me, sir, your card was declined. Yeah, that's funny. I should have done that. Your card was declined. Do you have another one? This one wasn't working. There's no money on it. I should have done that. 570-1949-570-1949. Call us right now. If it's already added, the 18%, do you continue to tip on top of it? 570-1949. No, he doesn't like it. So, welcome back. Hey, what's the deal with the wetsuit? The wetsuit? Yeah. M1RDOT brought this in for me from Matus, who he's sponsored by. This is a limestone wetsuit. How do they do that? I don't know. How do they make a suit out of limestone? How do they do that? But I was reading stuff about it on their website, and now I don't know if I can go back to the regular. It's pretty cool. rubber ones that they do because they say it's warmer, it's lighter, it lasts longer, and it's made for wine. I can't wait until Mikey and I get surfing sponsors. Isn't that going to be rad when that happens? I don't know that that will happen. Dude, it's going to happen for us. It will? Yes. Really? Yes. Are we going to be doing this professionally? Dude, look at us. I know. We're specimens. That's what, well, yeah. It's just about, we just got to get our balance down and we're almost there. Yeah. What do you think, Arda? You think he can do it? Oh, yeah, for sure. Yeah. Maybe there's a meatball company that makes, like... Maybe there's, like, a wetsuit that's made out of real meatballs. And that's what we would do. I'm on board. Yeah. Absolutely. I'm so excited, though. A meatball company. I don't think you want to be near a shot. Do you want to go surfing today? We don't have time today because of the whole meet-and-greet thing. He's like, he forgets about the meet-and-greet. You want to go? Yeah, you want to go surf? I want to go. Yeah, I wish we could. We'll go tomorrow. I have a new spring suit, so you better believe I'll be out there. There you go.
570-1949. The topic is, what about this 18% added gratuity? Do you tip on top of that? Are you supposed to tip on top of that? You can, if they've gone above and beyond. And if you're a person that gives 20% and it's not 20%, then why not throw that extra bone? Yeah. Always. You were asking them, Mike, do you... Does the waiter tell them that they did it, or do you just let them find out themselves? And when I was the waitress, I just circled it. I had a red pen and a black pen, and I circled in red on the receipt where the gratuity was included. That's nice. So you don't have to say anything, and that way you're letting them know. They're like, oh, awesome, it's there. Yeah, as long as there's attention drawn. Yeah. That's a really nice thing to do. I mean, a lot of times we probably don't even realize that we're doing it. We don't realize. I mean. Some of us. We go out to some big dinners, too. We do. And when there's a big group, it's so overwhelming to go through and make sure everything's right. You just pay it. Yeah. M1, David, are you there? Yes, I sure am. So what were you going to say? Well, I'm a limousine driver, and we get an 18% to 20% gratuity billed in every single time. And 80% to 85% of the time, I get an extra tip on top of that. Really? Yeah. That's cool.
And when it comes to when I go out to dinner and I'm getting served by somebody, and I feel that this applies to all the service industry, if somebody's serving me, I tip them regardless of the service. I like to be left alone. So when I get the waitress that leaves me alone or the waiter that leaves me alone, I typically tip 20% to 30% just because it's kind of like passing it on. If we just pass it on, then it continues the cycle, and that's just how I feel. That's huge. Thank you for the call. I tip the same amount every time. Always good. Yeah. Even if it's bad service, I tip good. Because I'm a wuss. I'm too afraid to say. And I don't want them to think that I was a jerk. It's better than under tipping. Over tipping is better than under tipping. I mean classic over tipping. Classic. Right into that thing. Oh, yeah. It's my first day. Sorry. It's all right. I just was saying I was a classic over tipper, Mike. There you are. M1 Brian? Yes. What up? How you doing, man? Good. Definitely, definitely, definitely, Chip, if it's worth it. I spent quite a few years working at the only five-dine resort in San Diego. I don't want to drop a plug for him. There you go. It's about three years ago or so, Christmas holiday season. A guy that owns construction businesses, like a supply company, comes in with his office workers and everything. In our private dining room, there's like 12 or 14 of them. They spend about $6,000 buying.
Hogan and Screaming Eagle bottles of wine. Tip was 18% for a part of that size, and it's like $900. He leaves me $1,600 at the end of the day. So definitely, definitely if it's worth it. Wow. That's a lot. That's a juicy little tip. If you got $600 cash in one night. That'd be nice. He's so nice. Say what? Say it real loud, Callie. I don't care about my ex, Jess. Yeah, you shouldn't. Absolutely not. M1 Jess. Jessie, are you there? Yeah, go ahead. And when Jen. Hi, Jen. Hi, Mikey. I just want to say I'm so glad you're back on the air. I've been a server for a long time now, and I currently work in a place in PB where we do, like, very large parties, anywhere from, you know, 20 to 100 on any given night. And unfortunately for us, we are not allowed to add it in. And, yeah, because the owner is kind of old-fashioned and feels that, you know, if we add it in, then we're not going to, you know, give them the proper service and, you know, devote our time to this table, which isn't the case. So in a lot of cases, we have a stamp that says gratuity not included. But there are some times where we actually have to go and tell them because they assume that it already is. That's sad.
That's awkward. That's really awkward. Yeah, it is. But, I mean, most of the time it typically works out, but then there's others. Like I was saying, you know, one time I had a group of 20 with over $200 bill, and they left $12. Oh, my gosh. That's brutal. It is brutal. And, you know, especially with as hard as we get taxed. It's brutal, and for anybody who's never done it, it's a lot of work. If you don't make at least, if someone doesn't tip you at least 8%, because that's what you have to pay out in taxes, if they don't tip you at least 8%, you are essentially paying to wait on them. Oh, my gosh. That's the worst. Yeah. You got one? Yeah. Go ahead. Come up right to the microphone. I have a question maybe you or Woodsy could answer is, what would Sean say? Probably, I got it. Probably something perfect. Probably by the gas. WWSS. He is my amigo. I'll ask him. 570-1949 is our number. You can also text us 949mikey at gmail.com. What does it tell about a dude, Sienna, if the guy is clean shaven or scruffy? What do you think? I think if a guy is clean shaven, it tells you that he wants to be in control.
And if he is scruffy, it tells you that he wants to be Don Johnson. Well, this survey says that men who shave at least five times a week are more confident than men who shave about twice a week. So the scruffy guys are less confident, which I would think it's the opposite. Right? Right. Yeah. But no, apparently they tested a lot of guys and this was what came out. And men who shave often are twice as likely to have a job and earn on average. Really? Yeah. Well, yeah. I have to put that in there. And earn on average $15,000 a year more than the scruffy guys. Really? Yeah. Would you have thought that? And they have a more active love life. Do they really? Yeah. Who, the clean-shaven guys? Because 82% of women polled said they prefer the clean-shaven men. Is that true? Do you prefer the clean-shaven men, you two ladies? I like a couple-day-old scruff. I like the way that it looks. Yeah. But if it gets too scruffy, it hurts when you kiss someone. Yeah. I love the scruff. Yeah, dude. Whatever, man. I'll do whatever.
Sometimes I go scruffy. Sometimes I do the clean shave. And what about you, Woods? Well, sometimes you also do the pencil-thin beard a la Backstreet Boys. So it's really cool. Yeah, it's a little weird. It's more color me bad. Jay wrote something interesting in his recap that I wanted to tell you about. He says he can remember all the major changes that have happened in his life. And at 18 years old, he had to start wearing glasses, which I didn't even know about. Dude, I've seen it. I've been at his house. Oh, my God. Like a bookworm. At 25, he started to notice more hair in the sink. At 35, he had to stop drinking five Cokes and eating two candy bars. And he says at 40, if he drank too much or got hurt, it took him twice as long to recover. That was me at 25. Me too. Really? So now he's 46 and he has entered. a new stage. Can't lift cars anymore. I can still lift cars. This one would be tough for me. Jay at 46 is now wearing reading glasses. Jay, are you talking about the ones that they sell at CBS? Absolutely.
Oh, my gosh. Where's the case for them? Let me see the case. Oh, see, I don't have them with me right now. I need to have them with me. That's the thing, too. It's like I went to my eye doctor. He did the whole thing. And he's like, hey, your vision's great. But what you're going to discover is, I mean, as he said it, it was already going through. I guess my eyes were changing as he said it. He's like, you're going to need reading glasses for up close stuff. I was like, well, okay, give me a prescription. He's like, no, no. No, that's not that cool. You got to go to Rite Aid and go through the rack of glasses. So I think I'm like a 1.25, which is like the smallest or least prescription you have to have. But still, they sit under my nose. Why don't you get yourself some bright red Sally Jesse Raphael. Oh, he had them. Those were the ones he was wearing in the picture. No, they were the round metal frame. Oh, my God. It might have been red. No, you're out of your mind. They were gold. You should get, like, the librarian cord, you know, that hangs from your neck. The croquis. You should see Jake, when he reads the board, he goes like this. Oh. He squints. Does he squint? Do you? He's so mad. Oh, he does his squint. He's got to throw on the reading glasses. I love it. 570-1949. You know the difference is, though, he can go catch a 15-foot wave today and climb a rock. With bifocals on. With bifocals on.
He could be dropped into the middle of, you know, the Amazon and survive. Yeah, it'd be fun. Sounds great. No doubt about it. Call us. 570-1949 is our number. What is it that makes you feel like you're getting older? Like stuff that happens that you just, you know, oh yeah, this is a sign of old. I said the word terrific the other day. I'm not kidding. You might have gotten that from me. I say it a lot. Terrific? Terrific. Terrific? Yeah. I've never heard, not that I remember you saying terrific. All I know is that when I said it, I felt like the oldest person ever. Imagine a guy in high school saying to a girl, oh, that's terrific. The girl would go. Right. Or a guy in high school saying the word wonderful, which I also said. Yeah. Wonderful. Wonderful. And I say it, I'm like, what did you just say? You're like, dad? Yeah. Who says wonderful and terrific? It's not a very manly word. I know it. 570-1949. It was my birthday last weekend, 25. And already at 25, my friends were calling me, what are we going to do tonight? Let's do something. You want to go out to dinner? You want to do? I didn't want to do anything with my friends. Yeah, you're married now. I went out to dinner with my husband, my daughter, and my parents. Yeah. And your parents? Sounds like a great night. My family, yeah. And I was stoked. I was like, my mom's like, do you want to invite some friends? No.
See you later. You ever do something with your parents? Oh, yeah, dude. I went to the movies with my parents on New Year's Eve once. Don't care. I've lived 19 men's lives. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. At least. Yeah, I think it's time for you to settle down and maybe go on a New Year's Eve with your parents. That might be, that's a good idea. It's a good idea. I think so, too. Keep you nice and safe, you know what I mean? It's nice, though. You woke up the next morning feeling great. Yeah, for once. All your friends are hurting, and you're like, ha-ha. Mm-hmm. I just saw Avatar. You know that wouldn't happen. Let me tell you. Almost daily now, I get out of bed and my back hurts. Yeah, me too. Daily. Yeah, it's old. I hate that. Wait till I hit my first double of the season. And you'll know what old feels like when I play ball. Because I'll slide in a second and be like, meh, meh, meh. God forbid I have to score from first. Oh, dude. Let's see. This is Dr. Who? Dr. Matwani. Dr. Matwani? What were you calling to tell us? I want to talk to you about the fellow who needed reading glasses. I can actually help that and get rid of the reading glasses for him. Yeah, that's our Mr. Old Time Radio pal. There he is. There's Jay. Oh, hello, Jay. Tune in. Hello. Yes, come in. Frequency modulation. Yes, come in. Can you hear me there, Jay? Yes. He's like, I can't send you my hearing aid. Katherine Hepburn. What could you do for him?
I can do laser eye surgery, and I do it for a lot of people where we get rid of their reading glasses. Probably about 75% of my practice is patients that are 40, 50, 60 years old, and we help them not wear reading glasses. That's rad. And so that's something we do on a pretty regular basis. AJ, why don't you hook it up with Dr. Matwani? I think we can hook Jay up. His mic's not on. Yeah, absolutely. I'll hook it up with Dr. Mawani. You know what? We live in an age now where we look younger. We act younger. A 50-year-old acts like a 40-year-old. A 60-year-old acts like a 50-year-old. The problem is the eyes don't stop changing. And the problem starts from when you are a child to a teenager on where the lens in your eye just starts getting harder and harder to flex and reaches its problem time in the 40s. So the thing is, no one in their 40s anymore wants to look like they're wearing reading glasses. Because no one acts like they're 40-something. That's right. Where are you from, Dr. Matwani? I'm originally from New York City. I was born in India. I can hear a little bit of a New York in there. Thank you, Dr. Matwani. I'll let Jay talk to you. Maybe he'll get it all hooked up with you. Let's see. Mikey Show, who's this? Hey, what's up, man? This is Jason. What's up, Jason? How you doing, man? Good.
Good, Mikey. Hey, I was just saying, I can tell you I'm getting older, man. I was back in my 20s, man, when I was, you know, partying and going to the nightclothes, man. I'd be able to come home, carne asada burrito, roll tacos, hit the sack, get to go the next morning. Nowadays, man, if I do that, that's massive heartburn in the morning. That is so funny. It's not the same. Not only that. And a lot of Tums. Yeah, and gaining weight. A lot of filing papers, too, the next day, too. You can lose it real quick when you're in your early 20s, but when you're getting up into your mid-30s and 40s, man, that's no good. That's right. Thank you, Jason. My wife is on the line. Hello, honey. Hi. Hi. No, Woodsy. She was talking to me when she said, what are you doing, hon? I'm driving Jake to school, but I was listening to your topic, and I was, I mean, I have so many. I'm like, which one could I share? There's so many. But the worst one by far, the one that's, like, really upsetting me is, you know, summer's coming, and I had to buy my first one-piece bathing suit. That made me feel fantastic.
I've been terrific. It made me feel wonderful. Did you join a swim team? Rebecca has twin infants. I told my friend, I'm like, I knew that the one-piece bathing suit would come at some point. Like, I knew it. But they're back in now. I didn't expect that it would come at 34. Like, that's pretty crazy. Hon, you look awesome. Did you get, they have some pretty cute ones, like the little, there's halter ones that kind of go straight across above the boobs that are kind of cute. It's a cute one. I just, oh. They're back in, Rebecca. I promise you they're back in. Yeah, I'm wearing one. Me and Mikey both. I'm wearing one right now underneath my clothes. If it makes you feel any better, I had to try on a maternity tankini, the tank top bikinis the other day. And I always thought, God, girls look so cute when they're pregnant in a bikini. It looks so cute. Yeah, not when it's you and you're trying it on and looking in the mirror. Oh, wow. Oh, and then the other thing I was thinking too, like...
It wasn't too, too long ago when it didn't matter how comfortable I was. Like, I would wear a cute outfit no matter what and no matter what I was doing. And now I'll put on jeans or whatever. No, that's not comfortable. And I'll totally forego, you know, fashion in order to be comfortable for the day. And I don't know when that actually happened, but... What would you wear instead of the jeans, babe? Like, if I'm just running errands in the morning or whatever, I'll wear, like, you know, stretch pants or, like, sweats. I tell you, I live in those leggings. Those leggings are the best. Sweats? Not exactly sweats, but kind of, yeah, sweats. Hey, honey. Yeah? Do you have an earpiece in, or is it possible to talk to Bub? You can talk to him. Let me talk to him. Okay. Hey, buddy, Daddy wants to talk to you, okay? That's my son, Jake. Don't curse. Yeah, don't say anything dirty, Jake. Hi, Daddy. Hi, Bubba. How are you? He's playing his piano. Hey, Bubba.
Good job, Jake. That's my man. Bubba, that was great. I love you, Bubby. I love you, guys. I love you, Bubby. I love you. Okay. What an angel. All right, honey. I told them the other day you guys were talking about Tiger Woods. Uh-huh. And every time you said Tiger Woods, the name Tiger Woods, he goes, no, Mommy, not Tiger Woods. Woods, Woods, Woods. Unbelievable. So great. I'm beaming. Thank you. I love you, honey. Love you. Bye. Love you, too. All right. That's so weird. Let me do it. It's so weird. I'm getting gray all in the beard. Oh, I got one. What? Ear hair. Yeah. Ear hair. I have me, Steve Woods, has ear hair. When I go to get a haircut, I'm like, will you trim that? Yeah, I tell them. Really? See this? Will you? Yeah, can you use the number one on that? Yeah. I can braid it right now. You can braid it. It's so foul. Dude. I can't braid it. Ew. How about my Oscar the Grouch eyebrows? Oh, mine too. They're like, hi, how are you? Mine too. Mine too. I had to get a groominglounge.com. Yes. I had to get little scissors. They're called mustache scissors, right? You trim up your mustache. I'm like, yeah, they also work great for Oscar the Grouch. Yeah.
How about man boobs? I have man boobs now that I'm almost 35. Yeah, me too. It's amazing. Me too, although mine are like pancakes. It's the most hideous thing. I'm like, I go, really? Really? This is my life? This is me. Like, I'm a 39-year-old man with pancake man boobs? What is going on? What is this? I told you, I was Skyping her the other day, and I was shirtless, which is just such a bad mistake anyway. And I'm looking at myself, and I'm like, I have boobs. I have boobs. And she's laughing. I'm like, oh, my God, I have boobs now. How awful is it? He's like, wait a second. Wait, I have boobs. How awful is it, though? Screw the wife. I can feel my own. How awful is it that I'm like, man, you have nice boobs, though. You know, like your boobs are round and full. Mine are like gross and saggy. I'm a man, you know? I hate it. Goodness. Why couldn't I have been born with genetics? Yeah. M1 Scotty? Yo. It's kind of hard to hear that from a six-foot-tall, good-looking man. You know what I mean? That looks like Chaz Bono's twin. Stop it. Really? M1 Scotty. Yo. How do you know you're getting old? Basically, I have the same problem as Jay. I mean, now it's getting to the point where I need reading glasses. How old are you, though?
I'm 44. That's not old. Well, that ain't old to me. Well, when I was 25, you were an old dude. Right now, I'm like, oh, you're just a young chicken, dude. You're spring chicken. The only other thing that I can think of is the fact that I played a lot of baseball when I was younger, and I played basketball for over 20 years. And I can, you know, understand how Woods feels as far as, you know, going through that. Man boobs? Yeah. You just, no. No, not my... But the thing is... Your chi-chis. Yeah, not my ta-tas. My fun bags, okay? But they're cute, Woods. I know they are. They're so perky. Thank you for the call. My wife loves to nestle her head in between them. It's lovely. I was walking in the gym yesterday, and I've been working out now for a little while. And I thought to myself... Why is that funny, Pep? She immediately starts to laugh. She starts sniggling over here. I pictured you in a onesie. Yeah. The leotards. Did you? Did you? Oh, my God, a treadmill with a onesie. And so I'm working out with my girl, Wendy, and I'm going to start doing, you know, curls. And she goes, now look in the mirror. And I'm like, and she goes, because that'll get you pumped up. And I'm like, I'm not going to do that. I can't do that. Turn away from the mirror. I shy away from the mirror, yeah.
And Wendy is built like, you know, I mean, she's like. She was. OK, so yesterday she's she's having me do crunches. Right. And she's showing me how to do these new crunches. And she's doing this and she's got on the really, really tight, you know, whatever it is. Tank top sports bra tank top. Yeah. And I took my knuckles and I went on her stomach. And it was literally it was like it was like this. It's ridiculous. And I go, whoa. And she goes, oh, yeah. She goes, hit it. I was like, like you could. I mean, it was like full on abs of steel. You'll get there, Mike. That's what she said. And I was like, really? Because it's like a marshmallow right now. Don't push on this because it'll come out my back. Yeah. I see Courtney Cox dancing in front of the thing. Uh-oh, there it is. Oh, yeah, yeah. All the 80s dance. I love it. Oh, Jay, what is that? Oh, great. We got new movies coming up, and we're also going to do Donald Duck Theater. She's going to do Goodfellas. Thanks. Donald Duck doing Goodfellas. It's coming up. Make some noise. Woo!

There's a guy in Chicago who is suing his son-in-law because his son-in-law cheated on his daughter. What's the deal? They got a divorce, and the father of the bride is not happy about it. He is suing him for breach of contract. My mouth is watering from the cake. It's so good. The cake is so good. I'm really trying to, like, suck in, but I can't help it. It's maddening. M1 Kelly made the most delicious banana. Oh, my God. Woods ate his whole piece. Woods cleaned up his plate. He slayed it in about 20 seconds. It's so good. Can I plug my score open? Say what? Can I plug my score open? Sure. Sure. Come on over. Right there. Karate chop away. I'm a pastry chef at Grossmont College. It's super cheap, super easy, super fun. Definitely anyone check it out. It's grossmont.edu. Grossmont.edu. Super delicious. Backslash amazing cakes. Backslash. And if there's any dudes out there, somebody needs to snatch her up quick. Yeah. Okay? Yeah. This girl can cook. You can hire her as a cake chef. Yep.
She's real good. Wow. She's real good. Okay, sorry. There's an attorney, this guy in Chicago, who's suing his ex-son-in-law for divorcing his daughter because he cheated on her. That was the reason for the divorce. He's now suing him for breach of contract for failing to uphold all that love, honor, and obey stuff. Wow. Yeah, so, you know, they've made a vow, and he cheated, and now they're suing him. He's demanding that his ex-son-in-law pay him back $75,000, which is what he paid for the wedding, plus another million dollars for the emotional pain that it caused his family. Hilarious. Good for him. Do you have a case? Yeah. It may be because a... Okay, let's talk it through. Let's break it down. It's a legal and binding agreement that they entered into, and there was funding that was going on. For the initiation of the agreement in the ceremony, there was money that was put out for the celebration of the initiation of the legal agreement. But that is not necessarily what is necessary to... That's the deal. You don't have to have that elaborate wedding in order to be...
To fulfill your end of the contract. Well said. It's not necessarily necessary to be necessitated. Well said. It's also he paid for it on his own free will and on his own volition. And it was his choice. Now, let's say he went and bought a bunch of stocks and the stock didn't do what he thought it was going to do. Is he going to go to the SEC and say, am I money back? No, he's not. Yeah, but they didn't make an agreement. that said that they would make him money. Still a gamble. Any marriage, right? By the way, shouldn't it be her that would have a case? How can the father have a case? Because he paid for it. He paid for the wedding. I know, but that doesn't have anything to do with the actual matrimony. Doesn't have to do with the marriage. Isn't that what divorce lawyers are for? Isn't that, I mean, because you do, you enter into a contract, right? So isn't that why the divorce attorneys decide who gets what and everything? If you and I were married, Pepper, which would be hysterical. Oh my God, it would be classic. Think your guys' house would be neat? Oh, it would be immaculate. Good Lord. Oh, yeah. It would be organized like a serial killer. You'd be like, oh, Buffalo Bill. Without the moths. Without the moths. You can tell because all of the little shoes are all put together in one row. Absolutely wonderful. That's how you know, Starlet. That you're in Mikey and Pepper Esparza's house. Pepper Esparza. Pepper Esparza. So, we would have...
An agreement. Okay. A legal agreement that says that I made the following promises, which I even question that. Whether or not that really is something that you're legally bound to. What's a marriage license? Marriage. I think that a marriage has more to do with your assets. It doesn't have anything to do with promises made. That's all fluff that happens in a ceremony. That stuff's not legal. The legal portion is the portion that has to do with our assets. And now they're ours, not yours and mine. And so I think that the father has, he's stupid. I don't think he has a leg to stand on. There's another weird aspect to it. I wasn't sure if I could say it or not, but you got the okay. The husband, because he went out and cheated, he came home with an STD and gave it to his wife. So the father-in-law knows about the STD? Knows about the STD. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure it's not good. Hey, dad, I also want you to know. Chlamydia. Really? Like, she's telling dad? Well, I'm sure. I mean, she's with the doctor, and I'm sure it's, you know. Oh, dude, it's them sitting over at mom and dad's house filleting this guy. Yeah. I know, but do you tell your mom and dad? You're like, oh, yeah, and you know what else? Yeah, the capper. I don't know about the dad. Maybe your mom, if you're close with your mom. Oh, he's a dead man.
in the heat of the moment while she was really upset. And he gave me gonorrhea. Yeah. Really? Not that I know from experience. I don't. I mean, it's just weird. Hey, Dad, there's something else I really want to tell you about. But you're going to have to get an encyclopedia. It's creepy. It is creepy. If he gets away with this, the dad, and does get rewarded money back, just think what it will happen. It's a whole new legal precedent. I mean, there you go. There you go. Your Honor, I want to talk to you about Jones versus McCarthy, Chicago, 2010. I want my money back. I mean, there'd be hundreds of cases every week. Maybe it would help keep people together. Yeah, it would. Are you guys ready to hear Donald Duck? You know we are, dude. Do good, fellas? I know I do. Tommy, let me tell you something, man. You are such a pistol, dude. You're so funny. You're the funniest person I ever met in my life. You are really, really funny. I mean, it's funny, you know. It's like a good story. It's like funny, man. It's like you're a funny guy, you know.
It's just, you know, it's just you're funny, you know? It's like funny the way you tell a story and the way you do all that and everything. Funny how? What's funny about it? Tom, you got it all wrong, man. I'm not trying to make it anything bad. Oh, yeah, okay, boy. You know what you said? What you said? Funny how? Just... What? I'm just saying, no, it's like, you know, you're funny. What I mean Tommy is like you know It's like just how you tell a story. What? No, no. I don't know. You said it. How do I know? You said I'm funny. How do I quack? I'm all funny. What do I quack? Funny about me. Tell me. Tell me what's funny. Is Donald saying quack? Wow! Wow! Spit everywhere.
Holy cow. Can we do it again? Can we do it again? I wish we could reenact the moment that we found out Lauren had that voice. And all of us were silent and we didn't know what to do. Can we do it again? What the quack is so funny about me? What the quack is so funny about me? I think I gave all the listeners a shower with that. That last quack. It was fantastic. Let's do it every day. All I know is... Sienna is 100% right. The moment that we found out she did that, our jaws hit the floor. Well, the moment that I told you, you guys were like, yeah, right. Oh, boy. I was like, no, okay. Here it comes. I can do it, too. Listen to me. I can sound like Mickey Mouse. Pretty good. Can't everybody? Yeah. Who doesn't? We've got some other crazy stuff. Do you know that one in five people believe in aliens? Yeah. True story. You, Mr. Esparza. I don't believe in aliens. With your YouTube only video on your YouTube of the lights, the funny lights in Carlsbad. Yeah, but that's a hoax. That's a hoax. Were you trying to punk people? Yeah. Yeah, that was a hoax.
There was a global survey that was just done, and it polled 23,000 adults in 22 different countries and found that more than 40% of people, well, this is from India and China, believe that aliens walk among us as regular people. And they're aliens. They look like regular people. Yeah. Yeah. And the majority throughout the world are men. Like hardly any women believe this, but the men believe it. And it's one in five. You know why? 20%. Because we play Dungeons and Dragons. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. Because we're nerds. Girls play Dungeons and Dragons too. Pepper, did you ever play Dungeons and Dragons? No, but I have played some role-playing games. I'm sure you have. I'm sure you have. Let's see. Dirty nurse, maybe one. Catholic schoolgirl, maybe another. Yeah. The sexy librarian, maybe it's another one. There's a trapeze hanging from her living room. Cops and robbers, maybe. Put on a tee, kid's going to hit it out of the park. That's right. That's right.
Mike, do you know that four out of five housewives also believe in vampires these days? So as long as we're doing surveys. That is 100% true. Not believe in housewives vampires, but believe in Edward Cullen. Isn't he a vampire? Isn't he a vampire? He's from his Navy. In Portland? Yeah, in Portland. In Washington. You know what he likes? He likes sparkly skin, blood, and microbirth. And the trailblazers. And the trailblazers. And weed. Yeah. Birkenstocks. Edward Cullen smokes marijuana, watches Trailblazer games, and goes to a micro-brew. Guys from Portland. Give me a break. He's real. I swear he's real. Everlasting love. We know he's not real. That's why we like it so much. Do you? Yeah, it's fantasy. Escape. I put yesterday on their Facebook fan page, I said, do people ever, just in the middle of the day, imagine Woodsy in their head going, Really? And there's a string of people. 46 people said that they like this. And then 87 comments. There's 87 comments of people just going, get. Wow. Keep your eyes on your own paper. That's crazy. Oh, there's 87 comments of people just giving their woodsy-ism of, get, really? Yeah, that was my favorites are, do you? Do you. Am I? Are you? Really?
Oh, man. There's only about a million. There's a growing trend of posting food photos online. I put my kombucha on the Mikey Show fan page last night. A new bit. I saw it. And asparagus and apples. Yeah. You said it was like Christmas morning, and it's a picture of your refrigerator full of kombucha. Yeah, because they were on sale, and my boyfriend, Matt, when he made it right, picked up some. Of course they're on sale. They can't get rid of them. I thought they would give them away. Free kombucha. No way. If that were the case, I'd be like knocking over babies. Well, somebody saw that picture, Mike, and they go, I wonder what's in Woodsy's refrigerator. And it said Copenhagen, Dr. Pepper, steak, and cheese. It's about accurate. And that's only because the pork chops are gone. You ate them. It's fantastic. Maybe we do a little post of what's in all of our fridges. Maybe. Oh, man. So there's a new trend, and people, and you guys have probably noticed. I mean, Mike, you had a food setting on your camera this morning. You took a picture of the cake. But people are posting the photos of food online, like on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace. There's special websites for food called Food Spotting. Really? Food Candy. I've done it. Websites, but I don't understand. I know that some people do diary kind of thing, like because they're foodies. Some people do it for a diet.
diet reasons, I would think. 100% because of Facebook. It's to show off. It's to show off. Like, we went to Hash House with Winder and Liz, and my thing came on a certain waffles, and it was, like, people have to see that. Yeah. Yeah, and then you go to a nice restaurant or you go somewhere to eat, and it's really good. You want people to see it. You want to put it on your Facebook or whatever. You want to big time, everybody. My boyfriend, Matt, and his best friend, Brent, who lives on the East Coast, that's like their bit. They will back and forth picture message each other. I think they try to gross each other out by being like, look how fat I am right now. Here's an 18-piece bucket of KFC just for me. And Lauren and Matt's like... Look at this grain sandwich that Lauren just made me that I have to wolf down or she'll slice me up. He opens up two pieces of wheat bread and there's bird seed in the middle of it.
He has to have a secret stash. Oh, no. I mean, he binges. Oh, yeah. On everything. When he's not in the house. He's like, I'm going to go crazy. There's got to be a shoebox filled with candy bars somewhere in that house. And vodka. Yeah. No, because if it's in the house, it'll be gone in 30 seconds. If that stuff's in front of him, he's like. Yeah. As soon as she leaves, he grabs Kit Kats and vodka. Yeah. Amazing. Did you hear about the dude that there's this woman? She's going to jump off. A building? Is that what she was jumping off? Yeah, this is nuts. Jump off a building. This dude wants to save her life. What's he do? This happened in Pennsylvania. So this woman goes up. She is in her 20s.
20 years old, I believe. And she goes up on top of a three-story gym like she's going to jump. People see her going up there. People panic. This one guy goes up there and I guess he knows her, their acquaintances or something, tries to talk her down. And as he gets closer to her, she comes towards the edge like she's going to jump and grabs him and both of them go down. She grabbed him? Grabbed him by the shirt. Yeah. And I don't think it was like a cruel thing. I think it was just no one knew what was going on. It happened really fast. And he kind of came up and was trying to talk to her. And she was jumping. And he like went to grab her. And then she grabbed him. I think she realized what she was doing when she kind of had pushed herself over the edge. Right. And so he held on to her and like finangled his body so that when it hit the ground, his body was the one to hit to save her. Get out. Yeah, like just acquaintances. Like they knew each other, but nothing crazy. And they're both okay. She was okay enough to where she got up and walked away. Get out of here. Thank you for leaving. This is 30 feet, three-story building. I pray. Are you okay? I'm good. Can you give me a water? My back is killing me. Do you have an Advil? Get an Advil while you're in there.
Get two. Where are you? Call the cops. The guy who did it is 48 years old, married, has three kids. I mean, and just risked his life for this 20-year-old girl. And they're okay? They're okay. Yeah, he had to go to the hospital. If you go by Dairy Queen, you just get my, like a King of Buster parfait. Anything. Who jumps off a three-story building? I don't know. Somebody crying for help. Dairy Queen of vodka. That's an amazing story. She was good. He shattered bones in both of his arms, gashed his forehead, but no brain damage, spinal injuries, nothing. They were both in pretty good shape. Demi Moore admitted that she has had some stuff done to herself. Really? Who knew? I believed her. Everyone. I believed her. What? That she hadn't had anything done to herself. Did you not see striptease? No. Weird that you didn't see it. They like, she's like, hey, I got these huge new cans and I'm going to be doing the strip. Oh, I thought she always had those. No. You're right. Not like that. Nobody has them like that. I think I would believe that she had breast augmentation. What's that? But I didn't believe, I didn't believe that she had gotten like other stuff done. Here we go. Face. I didn't think that. I thought she looked, I thought it was good genetics. Who doesn't? Because she kept saying she hadn't.
She kept saying, every time somebody asked, what do you do? She says, I haven't had anything done. I believed her. I wonder why she eventually, why'd she eventually come forward? Or not forward, but. Well, she didn't say. Yeah. I did it. So she came out? She came out. She came out as a surgeon. Yes, I got my wrists done. I'm sorry. Because people stopped caring about her. She's like, what can I do? Oh, yeah, I've had plastic surgery. What if she had done? She won't say, but she told Elle magazine, I have had something done, but it's not on my face. But I read a couple years ago, and I don't remember it being a rumor. I remember it being a fact that Demi Moore went away to Chile or Bali or something like that and had, you're going to laugh, and you're going to say this is not true, but I swear it is, and I really want to believe it is. I know what it is. What? I'm going to guess. What? A butt job. No. You'll never guess it. You'll never guess it. Creep. Creep. You guys are never going to believe it. Creep. But I'm never going to forget it because I read it and it stuck that she had leeches stuck all over her body and they suck on your skin and rejuvenate your skin and take away wrinkles and stuff like that.
The world is so weird. Why did people get butthurt if you had surgery? Be like, yeah, I have a fat gullet and I got it sucked out. Why do you get so... I can't tell anybody. Dude, when I got, when I went and got my hernia surgery, I had a hernia on my stomach, abdominal hernia. Yeah, it'll feel good, I bet. Oh, fantastic. It's really a party. I asked him about, the surgeon is a plastic surgeon. I asked him about a nose job. He felt my nose. He goes, no, you can't have one. I had one. Thanks, Dad. Why not? You did? Yeah. No, you didn't. I did. Really? Get out. Yeah, I had to because I got the crap kicked out of me by three dudes in Chicago, but they... Got a beautiful nose, kid. Beautiful nose now. Gorgeous. Beautiful. I can't have one. Why? Sid, the skin is too tough. The skin on my nose is too tough. It's not supple. All right, we'll be back. This is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Lauren. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. Yes! Sienna. I like a beer belly. I'm going to tell you that right now. And Jake. Howdy-ho, neighbors. On FM 94.9. State Radio. Yeah, this was in a season finale of Weeds. She burned the house. Weird. Did you tape it from your TV? No, I downloaded it. Is this a guy playing inside of a Folgers can? Well, when she said that, I thought, oh, she must have really liked it, so she put a tape recorder up to the television. You know I don't have TV, right? Yeah, that's on the table, too, no less. Do you have a TV? Yeah, but it turns on and off on its own sometimes. Yeah, but we use it as an ashtray.
I don't smoke. I grow plants in there. Did you know that? It's a fish tank. We busted out the inside man into a fish tank. Let's see. Sienna, tell us about the producer from the TV show Survivor that's being held on suspicion of his wife's murder or something. Yeah, this is really sad. The wife of one of the producers from Survivor, his name is Bruce Beresford Redman. His wife was found dead yesterday. in Cancun. Now, this is pretty weird. She left about a week ago. Friends of hers said that she took their kids and they went to Hawaii to get away because she discovered that her husband, the producer survivor, was having an affair. And she cleaned out the couple's bank account and went to Hawaii with the kids. Then the husband called her and begged her to come and meet him in Cancun. We need to talk. We need to have some alone time. We need to get away. So she went and met him there. And Tuesday, he called 911 and the police in Cancun, I don't know if it's 911 there, and reported her missing. They found her Thursday morning. Her body was found in a sewer on the grounds of the hotel they were staying at, Cancun's Moon Palace Resort, at 9 a.m. yesterday. So he, initially, they thought that she had died of strangulation.
because there was bruising on her neck. So, yeah, he has been detained at the moment. And, yeah, it's not looking good for him. How do you think you're going to get away with that? Yeah. Really? That's bad. Yeah, he said that on Tuesday when he called to report his wife missing, he said that she had left to go shopping. Weird. Yeah, I mean, it's a weird story. She needed a sombrero or, you know, a necklace. Yeah, exactly. I know, like I thought you wanted quality time with her. That's why, you know. Creep. So it's not looking good. Santa, tell us what a man's beer says about him. I got an update for you real quick if you want. Yeah. Tiger Woods is even through seven holes. He's still two back of the leaders. Is that good? It's very good. Even's good? Hell yeah. I thought being under is supposed to be the big deal. Oh, it's great. But, I mean, you'll take par 18 times. Aren't the winners usually like three under or something like that? Yeah, three or five. It depends on what tournament. But the Masters, probably five or six under. I mean, he's still doing really well. Okay. But he's even through seven. This is an article from Cosmopolitan Magazine that Woods has at home. It was my wife. She left it here. I was skimming through it. It wasn't a big deal. There's a guy with a shirt off on the back of the article. There's a shirtless picture of a guy. He looks good. Is that the article that has the picture of the dude? Jay's been carrying it around for two weeks in his folder. Yeah, I saw that. I saw that and I was like...
What is Jay up to? I know. I said, remember, I go, old habits. Old habits are hard. Old habits. I don't need glasses to see that guy. What a stud. He's really not. He's not that great. His body's kind of like meh. He's kind of got boobs. How about the guy on the other side, though? He looks all cute in the pillow. Jay, really? He's like this. He looks like a younger Jude Law, kind of. It makes me sick looking at him. Oh, my gosh, Jay. He's looking at Mikey going, I want to wear your skin, Mikey. I don't think he's interested in girls. That guy or Jay? I mean, Jay just said that guy was cute. Look at the cute guy on the other side, though. I was being facetious. Where are you? Well, this is... Four different categories. The article is what his beer says about him. The categories of the beers that he drinks are domestic, light, import, or micro-brew. Done. Which one do you drink, Woods? Domestic. You know that. Okay. Mike? Back in the day? Back in the day. Micro-brew. Jay? Micro. All the way. Really? Mikey? Tastes good. Really? I love the taste of beer, and micro-brew tasted better. Give me an example of micro-brew, because I'm not even sure. Like a stone. How about a stone?
Stone or San Diego Brewing Company brews their own beer. It just tastes good. Dallas Point. Pizza Port. Pizza Port. And Domestic is like Miller, Budweiser. You know I drink Budweiser. Import is like Corona. Yeah, and then Light is just a light. Why'd you look at Mikey when you said Corona? Because it's from his heritage. Mikey, you know what we mean, right? Tecate. Tecate. Especial. Mikey, you know what we mean when we say Tecate. Coronas are my favorite beers. All right, what does the domestic say about me? Okay, domestic says he's grounded and comfortable with who he is. That's the kid. So what you see is what you get. Don't expect him to change. A hundred percent. Yep. A hundred percent. A hundred percent. I'm going to end with a microbrew because that's what Jay and Mikey are. So I'm going to tell you what light beer drinkers say. He gets along with everyone and is tons of fun, but he's also the most likely to be stuck in the frat boy mode. Microbrew? No, that's light beers. Like Coors Light. Yeah. Here's import for those Corona lovers.
He's hardworking, but be careful. He may be a little image obsessed. In general, the higher end the import he's drinking, the more conceited the guy. Oh, wow. Wow. There's a bunch of dudes right now whose girlfriends are all... Does this seem accurate? Yeah, it really does. It seems accurate to me. Because this is from Cosmopolitan, and I'm like, is this written by a girl? How do they know? But I like beers. Well, not that I'm a dude, but beers from other countries are sometimes just really good because they're different. I don't think it necessarily makes them suck up. Imagine that. Well, we don't get them very often, though. Of course, that's what you think. Of course, that's what you drink. Pacifico, so good. Yeah, of course. Okay, now this is Jay and Mikey, micro-brews. He will try anything once and loves to seek out new experiences. However, his laid back demeanor can sometimes lead to slacking off. Not me. Not laid back. What was the thing before that? Laid back. Forgets a lot. He loves to seek out new experiences. No, I don't. Mikey will never go to Europe. Yes, you do, dude. You golfed? You surfed? Hates to seek out new experiences. You golfed and surfed in the last six weeks. Yeah, you did. Turning a new leaf.
It doesn't sound like me in general. Well, you definitely don't slack off. You said you wouldn't leave your laptop for an hour. No, no, no. I'm not a slack off guy, but I am, you know, wound pretty tight. Kind of fits Jay, but not you. Mine fits me to a T. His ears like half and half Jay is pretty much on point. Was it the old Mikey in any way? Because you don't drink beers anymore. It was the old Mikey, actually. Was it? Yeah. For sure. You went skydiving? I went skydiving because I had to, though. You know that. You know that. I love it in the accent. It's the best. You know that. You know that. Tell us about the... What was the deal? The stakes. The German meat supplier. Oh, yeah, the German dude with the steaks. Oh, yeah, this is crazy. So there's a German meat supplier, and he delivers meat. That's a job. He brings meat to restaurants. One of his restaurants owed him some money, and they didn't have the money to pay him. So what did he do when he came to collect his 400 euros, which is a little more than 500 bucks? He walks in the restaurant during business hours, goes right into the dining room, starts taking plates of steak.
from people who are customers eating. I'll be taking this. I'll be taking this. Yeah, you guys don't pay me. I'm going to take this too. I'm going to take this. He goes back in the kitchen. There's meat marinating. He's taking that and he leaves. Right after the guy leaves, police arrive and they say, there's no offense committed here. You guys didn't pay him. That's his meat. That's his. But could you imagine making a customer sitting there like, I was eating that. I was eating that steak. There you go. That wouldn't have happened in America. In America, if you have it, it's like... Possessions nine-tenths. There's nine-tenths of law. That's 100%. And the guy would have probably got the crap kicked out of him for grabbing some dude's steak. Yeah. I wonder what that 911 call might have sounded like. What's your emergency? Oh, my goodness. Yes, thank you. I am in a restaurant here. Oh, my goodness. And this very feminine man is over here taking steaks off of people's plates, including my plate. He's out of control. He's calling himself the steak burglar or something like that. He took a steak off your plate, man. Right off my plate. Do you hear him yelling in the background? I do. I'm just putting some information in the computer for the officer when he arrives.
Oh, my goodness. Can I talk to him, please? Yeah. Oh, here, here, here. Hey, guys. Hello, who is this? This is the 911 operator. What is 911? My name is Wolfgang. Okay, Wolfgang. What, what, what? Say something. What are you doing? I'm taking my meat back. Why are you? Did you take a woman's steak right after? Yes, they don't pay the bill. Okay, who doesn't pay the bill? The gentleman who owns the restaurant, Mikey. This isn't, my name's not Mikey. Okay, please don't take meat off of people's plates. Please don't interrupt me when I'm repoing my meat. We're going to send an officer down to speak with you, and when he gets there, he'll discuss.
This further. That sounds fabulous. Okay, but until then, please don't bother any more patrons. Please keep your eyes on your own paper. Mikey. All right, my name's not Mikey. Okay, Bill. No, it's not Bill or Mikey. Okay, Todd. My name isn't Todd or Bill or Mikey. Okay, Matt. American Joe. Okay, we're going to send an officer down. Thank you for... Great, thank you. Thank you. Todd. Todd. I'm mortified right now. Why? That's hilarious. That's fantastic. Lots of Todd's and Matt's in Germany. Yeah. Absolutely. And I think just the guy was German. I got to tell you about this new creature that they found that's able to survive without oxygen. Come on. It's kind of like Jay whispering. No. I want to watch you sleep. I can't ever wear your skin. It's okay.

Mama Testa Taqueria. Authentic Mexican food. Richmond and University in Hillcrest. If I can be Bobby Flay, I can surely blow your mind. Come in and let me put some Mexican in you. Dios mio, what have I done? KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. That's a little Bill Withers. Lolliday. Lolliday, that's right. When I wake up in the morning, love. I feel like I need to be on a sailboat. A yacht. A yacht. So good. Yeah. Walking around with little brown boat shoes. Oh, yeah. White pants, white shirt. Yep. Sweater tied around my neck. That's right. Make it right. Freezing cold. Right. Woods, it gets cold sometimes. So do you. I don't. I don't do that bit. I just made that up. Yeah. I don't do that thing.
You've never said that you're cold now that I think about it. I don't get cold, you know? I got layers of blubber. You don't have layers of blubber. I'm like a whale. Mikey, you are not at all. Insulated. Well insulated. Stop it. Let's see. There's a creature, speaking of, there's a weird creature that is able to live without oxygen. You know that there's stories that I... that I put in the news every day that I could care less about, but I do it for others. Yes. This is one of those stories. Yeah. That means I'm going to love this. Yes. I don't know, but this was all over the websites, and I was like, man, I've got to put it in there. What is it? Just look at the picture of this thing. Like, really? This is an animal that lives without oxygen. Looks like a little mushroom. Yeah. Well, I'm sorry. Where do you find that? You're reporting the hell out of this story, by the way. I know. It was on CNN. It was on Fox News. It was Yahoo. It was everywhere. Now, this is a newfound creature. It's called a Lorisiferin. She's my second-grade girlfriend. Lorisiferin. Lorisiferin. Lorisiferin was found off the coast of Greece. And for any... I was wondering where that broad disappeared to.
Yes. I Facebooked her. It looks like a mushroom head with little sticks sticking out of it. Don't look like that, Woods. Marissa, what's up? It's Mike. Remember me? We went out in second grade. We went out in second grade. What are you doing? I heard you don't need oxygen anymore. Is that right? Yeah. How come not? Yeah, you don't need oxygen. How come not more picks? Well, there have been animals. Animals have been discovered that don't need oxygen before, but they're usually found like deep underground in the dirt or underwater. And this one wasn't. So they're like, what is this? It doesn't need oxygen. And it needs, I guess. So dumb. The giant tube worms is what it is. Live by hydrothermal vents. Don't we all? People were going nuts over this thing. I'm sorry. We may win a Marconi for that description. I don't complain most, but this was like... I'll have to read a transcript of her report. Is anyone scientific in here? Does that mean it uses water? Excuse me.
Is anyone scientific? I don't know. You see, Lauren knows what that means. It's hydrothermal. Does that mean they use the water and take the oxygen out of the water? Look at this thing. I don't know. I'm just asking. Sometimes when you do sports, you have to talk about ballet. I don't. But in the Olympics, maybe you would have to. No, they don't do ballet in the Olympics. They don't? No. Ice skating? They do ballroom dancing. Excuse me. Of all... The references that Sienna Farrar came up with. Ballet. Ballet for the Olympics. But I'm science, stuff like this. At the La Jolla Olympics, they do ballet, okay? Baryshnikov comes. Baryshnikov. Yeah, he trains all his girls personally. At the high school. Yeah, my mom bought him. I'll read stuff to you guys about, you know, planets and stuff, and I try. I like it. I think it's cool. Weird. You guys, did your mom ever buy you Baryshnikov? Your mom never bought you a Russian male ballerina? Really? Yeah. That's weird. They call ballerinas when they're male? My mom's calling right now and ordering me one of these Larissa Frans. Yeah, Larissa Frans. Track her down. Yeah.
So that's the new future that lives without oxygen. What new movies are coming out? Then we've got to wrap it up. I speak the truth, people. Coming out today, Letters to God. But the big one, and I read a couple weeks ago that this came out, but apparently it doesn't come out until today, April 9th, The Runaways. Oh, yeah. Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart, Joan Jett. Yeah. Also, Date Night comes out today. That's the big one with Steve Carell and Tina Fey. Yeah. Really? Yeah. It actually looks really funny. Mark Wahlberg, James Franco, and some other ones that you may not have heard about. The Good, The Bad, The Weird, and a movie called The Square, and a movie called And Who Do You Love? Never heard of any of them. I know. So the big ones are Letters to God, The Runaways, and Date Night. 570-1949, beginning and end of every show. You can call in about whatever you want to. So give us a call right now if you would like. And a couple things to tell you. I am going to be speaking and giving my testimony tomorrow morning at my church, at North Coast Church in Vista. North Coast, they have what they call venues. So when you go there, you kind of go to whatever music you like. And their rock venue is called...
The Edge. And so tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., it's a ladies-only deal. So only the ladies tomorrow morning. And anybody's welcome, as long as you're a female. You can go there at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning to their venue, The Edge. And it'd be really cool. We'd love to see you out there. Anything else? Am I missing anything tonight? Meet and greet tonight. Tonight. Meet and greet tonight, 5 to 7. We're going to be out at Stone Brew. The whole crew, myself, Woodsy, Pepper, Sienna, and Jay, are all going to be hanging out. And I think literally everybody's family is going to be there, too. All the fam's coming. You get to meet significant others. We'll all be there. We want to take pictures with you. Yeah. We want to meet you. And it's a beautiful place, man. The Bistro Gardens at Stone Brew is really cool. The food's great. But we're going to be giving out our M1 Nation sticker, which is going to be really cool. And so it'd be really great to have everybody come out. And be a part of it. So come and do that tonight from 5 to 7 at Stone Brew. We'd love to see you out there. At the end of the show on Friday, I give you my testimony. I tell you my story. And my hope is that as I tell you my story, you can hear some of your own in it. My story is usually hard for me to tell you because there's parts of it that are just difficult for a guy to tell. Difficult for a 39-year-old man to tell you.
about sexual abuse when I was a kid, but it's relevant to you. And the reason that it is is because there's a lot of people listening that maybe that has been the case with you, but no one knows. And the reason that nobody knows is because in general, whether you're a man or whether you're a woman, there's usually a lot of shame involved in that. And you don't want to tell anybody. And what I want to tell you is that that can lead to problems. It did for me. It led to a lot of problems for me. In fact, I have found through most of my life that whenever secrets have been kept, that's what it's led to. It's led to bad stuff. When I was a teenager, I could not have felt more different. Now, I want to tell you before I even start to go into my story, that my story may not be nearly as bad as your story. Your story may be much worse.
The reason that I tell you is because maybe my story isn't as bad or is worse. Maybe there's something in my story reminds me of you. There's a point in my life where I felt more lonely than anything else. Loneliness was the biggest emotion in my life. Just lonely. There are times in my life where I just desperately wanted someone to talk to. And there were also during those same times in my life where I just felt completely hopeless. I didn't think there was anything on the horizon for me. And I felt like, man, if I could just have one thing on the horizon, it'd be worth it. And during those times, I would try to fill my life with anything, a girlfriend, alcohol. I spent a lot of time trying to do that. When I was in my late 20s, I started to drink and use drugs. And those feelings of loneliness, low self-esteem, mixed with alcohol, that eventually...
brought me to a place where I was completely addicted to alcohol. You may be in that same exact place. If you are, I want to invite you to go to my website, mikeyshow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. When I was completely addicted to alcohol, I asked God to come into my life and change my life. And he did. The moment I gave the steering wheel of my life up and gave it over to... the care of Jesus Christ. Everything changed. That's my story. And all I can do is tell you my story. Hopefully there's something that you can get out of it. And if there is, that's great. If not, that's okay too. Mainly the thing is, if you relate to any of it, you can go to the website, mikeyshow.com, click on help. And there's a lot of resources there for you that hopefully can help you. I play a variety of different songs at the end of the show on Friday that are meant to give you
Hope. My hope was in Jesus Christ. This song is by a band called Red. I don't know that I've ever done this one. This one's got a little bit harder edge to it and reminds me so much of a lot of the stuff that I was feeling and that you may be feeling today. You may actually be there today as you listen to the words of this song. Lovely and talented Hillary is coming up next. We hope to meet you tonight at 5 o'clock. The Mikey Show's out.
