The Mikeyshow is back on the air after a one day hiatus due to company meetings. The gang met LOB’s parents and Lauren’s mom loves doing bits and telling the world that her daughter is Pepper from 94/9. Sienna’s newsstory about the big volcano in Europe has shut many countries down from the resulting widespread ash, so Wolfgang explains how he deals with it. Audio of Creed frontman Scott Stapp’s ode to the Florida Marlins will rock your world! And by ‘rock’ I mean laugh hysterically. Michael Shannon has a little trouble with a new K-WAVE post but eventually nails it. Little Whiz Pop Quiz has Sienna asking kids about the Coachella Festival and two 6 year olds put Mikey to shame and give Woods some good advice. John Goodman’s deadpan joke failed miserably on the view. A M1 calls in needing advice about the audacity of his girlfriend leaving town on his birthday weekend. Woods’ take on birthdays: “let’s have a party because you’re mom squeezed you out”! A bizarre medical story leads to a Grey’s Anatomy bit. An email about out of control angry sports dads prompts Woods to tell about being a Little League manager and Jay and his boy witnessing a soccer riot. Sienna introduces us to “Goodtime” Bobby Rose who cheated in a fishing tournament in Texas and got sent to jail! Intern Susanna comes in to play her new game and swears she never said she wanted to wear Woods’ skin. News of Larry King’s 8th divorce somehow leads to a Woods rant about Sean. Frankie claims he’s not jealous of Garrett. Is there a cereal taste test in the future for Mikey? 5 ways you know you’re dating a married e-cheater. Woods and Pepper do a little couples role playing. The cast sings Happy Birthday “The Office style” to a M1. Mikey tells why he does a weekly Testimony during his Testimony.

Lauren sat mortified as her mother Joanne repeated limo-driver and fence-scaling stories, while Mikey and the crew delighted in her embarrassment. The hosts mocked Scott Stapp's grandiose Marlins anthem, puzzled through John Goodman's missed Bourbon Street joke, and let Mickey and Bruno turn Coachella into a children's guessing game. They debated Gary Stein's anti-Obama Facebook activity, Paul's abandoned birthday plans, and how far parents should go at Little League, then marveled at surgeons removing live ammunition from a man's skull. After retainer jokes, an apparent cereal allergy, and Mikey's failed odd-even lesson, Mikey closed by recounting sexual abuse, alcoholism, and the Christian faith he credits with restoring his hope.

What happened, in order

  1. Pepper's Mom Has a Bit

Lauren squirmed while her mother Joanne proudly promoted Pepper to strangers and recycled embarrassing family stories for the whole crew.

  2. A Marine Versus Facebook

The hosts and an ex-military listener argued that Sergeant Gary Stein could hold political opinions but could not publicly attack President Obama while serving under him.

  3. Marlins Soar

Mikey and Woodsy played Scott Stapp's painfully earnest Florida Marlins anthem and debated whether fans would embrace it or flee from it.

  4. Kids Explain Coachella

Six-year-olds Mickey and Bruno guessed that Coachella was food, dismissed Jay-Z as weird, and advised Woodsy to avoid beer and not be afraid on air.

  5. The Joke Nobody Got

The crew repeatedly replayed John Goodman's Bourbon Street shoe joke after Barbara Walters, The View audience, and initially the hosts themselves failed to understand it.

  6. The Birthday Weekend Fight

Caller Paul asked whether his girlfriend was wrong to leave on his birthday, and the hosts shifted to his side once he revealed that she had broken their existing plans.

  7. Live Round in a Skull

Sienna described military doctors evacuating an operating area and removing potentially explosive ammunition from an injured man's skull by hand.

  8. Little League Rage

An email about a father screaming at umpires led Mikey, Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay to argue over competition, parental restraint, and protecting children.

  9. What's Susanna Saying?

Susanna spoke absurd phrases through her retainer while callers tried to decode them and the crew turned her fixation on Woodsy into a running gag.

  10. Pepper Versus Special K

Lauren ate Special K for dinner, felt her face heat up and itch, then took a second bite after the first apparent allergic reaction passed.

  11. Odd or Even?

Mikey confidently called seven even and twelve odd, leaving the room exasperated as they tried to teach him divisibility by two.

  12. Mikey's Testimony

Mikey disclosed childhood sexual abuse, low self-esteem, and alcoholism before explaining that faith in Jesus Christ gave him hope and a stable family life.
