KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Welcome to the show, everybody. It's The Mikey Show. We're ready to rock and roll. Later in the day, I will kick myself for saying, we're ready to rock and roll. Terrific. By later, you mean right now. It's wonderful. By later, I mean now. During your K-wave request. Yes, for sure. That's right. That should be an idea that I present in our meeting today. What's that? That we do the K-Wave thing where I pretend that I'm on my old light and easy favorites K-Wave station doing that voice because it's so easy for a bit for me to do. Yeah. And maybe people like it. People love it. People love it. By people, you mean the four of us? No, everybody. Our boards on Facebook were like...
my god that's the greatest thing i've ever seen in that voice too i was gonna say none of our listeners talk like that sure they do welcome everybody i have a little bit of a i did too not a sword throat i get coffee what i call coffee throat but i bet it's the same thing with you woodsy i doubt it mine's from blasting cigs okay i think that might be kind of similar in that blasting cigs all weekend no no but i think blasting cigs and my coffee give us both Heartburn. Yeah. You know? Coffee? Coffee? Coffee. Do you want a Tom's? Coffee. The drink? No, no, no, no. The steak. Coffee the steak. Yeah. No, coffee the... Are you talking... Coffee the boat motor. Coffee like the way a little kid would say a cough or coffee like the drink? Oh, no, no. Coffee the drink. Really? You guys may have gotten that from me. Really? Really? I don't know. I had it last week. I had a little situation happening in my throat. I told you about it. I thought I had a whooping cough.
Sienna thought she had a little... Yeah. And as soon as Sienna said it, I was like... Me too. I know. But I didn't share any drinks with you guys. I know. You guys just want to take off? No. Let's just take off. I'm feeling ill. People do that when you say, uh-oh, a little scratchy throat, and you're immediately like... Me too. Me too. Uh-oh. 570-1949 is the number. 949mikey at gmail.com is how you get a hold of us by text. And we encourage you to call us at the beginning of the show and talk about anything that you want to. It's your forum and you can call. Only thing is, phones are, there's a lot of people listening and not that many people calling. And I think it takes a while. You know, when you start a radio show, it takes a while before it really gets going. And I think once you hear someone call, you're like, oh, okay, now I'll call. But in the beginning, it'd be intimidating. Nobody wants to be first of the day. I know. Be the first. Be the leader. Be a leader. Yeah. Set the trends. Don't follow them. I was such a radio caller growing up. Oh, me too. Me too. I still am. You still call? Until I started working on the radio. I was in Dallas. There was a program I used to call in all.
The time. Really? Yeah. Because they always used to bag on the Yankees. So I would call and, like, drop the hammer on these guys. Did they call you, like, Yankee Steve or something? No, no. Pinstripe Steve is on the phone. It was always, like, the same bit. I think they, like, did it to get a rise out of me. I don't know. They'd say just really dumb stuff, and I'd be like, and start calling from my phone a thousand times. You need to see that movie, Big Fam. I was telling you about it. No, I need to. Yeah. I have no idea what you're talking about. Let me introduce everybody on the show. My name's Mikey and I'm the host of the show. Today I'm wearing a polo pullover, which Pepper said is okay for me to wear. I was worried because I have tattoos and I'm wearing a polo. It's not a polo. It's not a polo. It is. He says pullover. No, it's not a pullover. It's not a pullover. Pullover is like a sweater. It is? He's pointing to the man on the horse to prove that it's a polo. No, look, it's polo. It's polo. It is polo. It is a polo. It's just not a pullover. I believe you. What is it? It's a shirt. It's a collared shirt. Polo shirt. Yeah, it's a polo shirt. Exactly. A pullover is a sweater? Yeah, a pullover is not really anything, I don't think. I mean, it makes me think sweater, like a v-neck sweater or something. Can I tell you guys, I was watching TV this weekend.
And I was watching the Food Network. Weird. Yeah, weird. And I saw Bobby Flay wearing jeans with a V-neck sweater over it. And I thought, oh, that looks sharp. That's my bit. And I go, I can't do that. No, I can't. I've got tattoos. I'm Mexican. I'm short and I'm bald. You can do that. You can. Hey, did you know that Cesar from Mama Testa beat Bobby Flay in a showdown? A throwdown? Did you know that? I think I did. Yes. It's pretty rad. I think I did. It was pretty rad. No, you can totally pull that look off. That's my bit. That's my look. Yeah, but you're tall. Fat. Pale. No, no, no. You're tall and handsome. It doesn't matter. You don't have to be tall to wear nice things. You don't. No. See, that hasn't been my experience. My experience is that, yes, not only do you need to be tall, you need to be somewhat thin. No. Mike, if you can pull off the polar shirt you're wearing now, you'll be just fine. Really? Yeah. All right. I'll try it. Give it a go. I'll try it if you promise the first time I wear it in here. Oh, I can't even do it. I just imagined wearing it in here. Mike walked in this morning and I said...
Because this is now like the third polo that he's worn. And I said, and immediately I regretted it because I saw your reaction. So concerned. I said, I see you're really liking those polos. Oh, boy. Just getting killed. And I meant it in the night because he, a couple weeks ago, was getting some clothes for golfing and was, I guess it was a couple months ago, was terrified that he was going to get these golfing clothes and get. Yeah, I pulled the hermit crab when she said it. I was like, right back into the little shell. But I meant the nicest. I meant it in the nicest of ways. That's not really nice, though. She followed it up. She goes, look sharp. Okay, good. I go, all right. Then that's nice. Because immediately he was like. What do you mean? What do you mean? You don't like it? That was me. Steve Woods is better known as Woods. And he's sitting across from me in the Yankees cap. He is 34 years old. Sitting to my right is Lauren O'Brien, L-O-B, also known as Pepper, the Pep. And Sienna is over to my left. She is wearing a plaid shirt today. Flannel. I don't know. You know, it's 3 a.m. I throw stuff on. Don't expect a lot from me. It looks very comfy. And Jay is our producer. He's 46. He's separated by glass in the studio next to us. I ordered some new clothes this weekend.
Straight leg shorts, okay? Yes. There you go, Mike. You're looking good. Yeah, I can't wait. So I'll put those on when they come in. Good. And then I got a couple of shirts, all right? I got some new duds as well. You did? Yeah. It's time. A couple of tie-dyes? Yeah. As you know. A couple of tie-dyes. A couple of hemp pullovers, maybe. I got a hemp gown. Woodsy, how was Coachella? Dude. That's all I have to say is dude. Yeah. What killed it? I tuned in a couple times. It was so cool to hear him on the radio like in another capacity. Another forum. It was truly the experience of a lifetime. I feel really excited that I got to go to Coachella and do things that not everybody that goes to Coachella gets to do. What was the one defining moment for you? I think for me, well, there was two. Interviewing MGMT. which is one of the biggest bands in the world, was pretty amazing because they were little smartasses. Really? And they were giving it back to me. And I kind of, after the interview, I was like, huh, I don't really like those guys. And then I started thinking, I go, but maybe they're genius. I mean, they're brilliant. They're brilliant. The music they make is brilliant. Right. And I'm looking at them going, you're like 23, 24, you little punks, you know? What happened? Did they start it or did you start it? Yeah, they started it.
And you started giving it back. Yeah, and I started giving it back and then they kind of gave it back to me. And they were just, they were, but we all took a picture together and they were really cool after. And they're just, they know that they're that good. Right. They know they're that good. Yeah. And then the other one that was pretty cool, there's a band from Austin called Spoon, which is a pretty big band. And everyone was like, oh no, Spoon. They can be pretty testy sometimes. And it was Britt, their lead singer. Well, Britt's from Texas, and I'm from Texas. So I took it upon myself to grab him before the interview and really try to soft him up a little bit. So we started talking about Austin, and he tells me his dad lives in Dallas. Oh, where does he live? Hey, have you ever eaten here? Have you ever done this or that? Forget it. You're done. You got him. And then once I heard he was from Texas and he knew I was from Texas, he was comfortable. And we started talking about... You know, Dallas and Austin and then started talking about San Diego. And he just really opened up. And it turned out to be a really good interview. So I felt I felt kind of like I contributed to helping get that interview done. But, man, I saw some people come to the 94.9 house. They pick up guitars. They start playing. We had Big Pink and Band of Skulls did an acoustic set. One Eskimo was phenomenal. They did an acoustic set. I saw somebody else do an acoustic set. Yeah. And then this was pretty cool, Mike. Me.
Hillary and Amanda from Big Sonic Chill. We serenaded a band. Hockey is the name of the band. We're like, hey, can we play for you guys? And they're like, they were totally into it. They were totally cool. So we got up on the mics and Jeremy recorded it and we sang them. We're like, hey, we've been working on the song for a while. And me, Hillary, Amanda all serenaded them with. Every rose has its thorn. And they loved it. Their bass player came up and started playing bass with us. They were playing maracas. If you go to YouTube and type in Coachella underscore every rose, you'll see the performance. And it was so much fun. If you find the FM949SD YouTube channel, it's on there. But the venue, it's like a carnival, man. You walk in and you're like... I can't believe I'm here. There's lights and there's just bands everywhere. And it's just so freaking cool. Jay was there too. Oh, man. I saw like 20 bands. Yeah. I didn't see many bands because I wanted to be at the house. I wanted to be on the air. I wanted to be hanging with all the people from the studio and meeting the bands that came through. I want to hear a second of MGMT, the band that you were mixing it up with. Of the interview? No, I want to hear their music. This is an edit.
That is good. Isn't that good? Yeah, I know those guys. And actually, if you guys go to the FM 94.9 SD website, all of our interviews, all the acoustic performances are on there. So you can listen to me and helping out and interviewing. I mean, the cool thing was watching Amanda, watching Garrett, watching Hillary. Watching those guys interview, I'm sitting there going, you guys are freaking pros, and I can't wait until next year so that I get to come back and do this again and kill it next year. That's awesome. It was awesome, man. It was such a good experience, and it's a cool festival that I will never, ever, ever miss. Coachella. It's all done. Another year under the books. Is that the phrase? In the books. In the books. In the books. M1. Honey, girl, how are you? I'm doing well. How are you? Good. What's going on? Well, I heard you call out to be one of the first this morning, so I thought I'd do it. Thank you. Thank you. Well, I have a do it story. I have a do it story because I heard the motivational bagger at Trader Joe's. There is this girl who I was talking to the cashier about my cran apple butter. You know, it's like apple butter, but it's cran apple butter. Sounds delicious.
Yeah, and she and I were talking about it. I said, have you tried this? And she's like, yeah, it's really good on bagels. And I said, well, I'm going to put it on my turkey sandwich. And then out of nowhere, the bagger goes, do it. That's awesome. Do it. And then I'm like, okay, I will. And then I was filling out the tickets for, you know, because sometimes if you bring in your own bags, you can win a contest if you fill out a ticket. So I'm filling out my ticket for my bags and to put in the raffle thing. And I go, I think I'm going to win this week. And she goes, do it. Oh, that's so awesome. Amazing. Do it, girl. Do it, girl. I love it. Do it. Thank you for the call, honey girl. You're welcome. Good morning. Appreciate it. Thank you. Good morning and bye-bye. Hey, are you still there? Wait, honey girl. Oh, she left. I just wanted to interview her really quickly. Sometimes I find people really fascinating. I do too. Yeah. I want to know all about them. Where do you live? How old are you? What do you do? And I just want to know stuff. I like finding out about people. Me too. Call me and I'll find out about you. Maybe you've never been interviewed. And that's your thing. Maybe you let me settle a bet with you. Yeah. Maybe you let Lauren settle a bet. Maybe you got a dude you're dumb. That's right. Maybe you got some kids I can talk to. I don't know. 570-1949. Maybe you need a house that needs to be made out of banana skins. Jay's here. Jay's here. He can do it.
I'll make you a house out of a banana peel. So, Jay, did you guys camp? No, we stayed with some friends. I'm going to scream over Mike's shoulder. Okay. I thought you guys were going to camp, do your camping bit. I'm surprised. I am, too. I'm, too. He has a setup. How freaking cool is Jay? He's 46 years old. Just kicking it out at Coachella all weekend with his wives. And my daughter and her friend. And your daughter and her friend. It was so weird. It was like hanging out with buddies. Yeah, hey, I'm the coolest dad ever. I put in my recap. But it was weird because I thought when we got there, we'd split and go two different directions. Because here, you know, two 21-year-old girls, you know, hanging out at Coachella with their dad and their mom. But it was a blast. We had such a good time. We just hung around. That's awesome. Yeah, I love the grassy fields out there. Oh, man, I know. A bunch of, yeah, speaking of grass, there's quite a bit of grass floating around that place. Yeah, Woodsy goes, I think I smelled a lot of marijuana cigarettes. Just walking through going, hmm, somebody is. 570-1949. This definitely is not legal. No, this is not legal. Huge news over the weekend. Friday, I think this came down. Yeah, on Friday. The John Gardner stuff. Wow.
He made a plea. Yes, he pleaded guilty on Friday for killing Chelsea King and Amber Dubois. Yeah, pleaded guilty. Well, he admitted to kidnapping, raping and stabbing Amber. And he also admitted to dragging King to a remote area where he raped, strangled and buried her. So he admitted to all that. Now, the deal is, is that in exchange for that, the state would not seek the death penalty. Right. So he made a plea deal. And which is actually for the families a much better thing in that they don't now have to go through years and years and years of a trial dragging on and on and on with appeal after appeal after appeal. We all thought that when they found Amber's body two days after the Chelsea King story broke, we all thought, all of us, he had something to do with it. He had something to do with it. But people were saying, police were saying, no, he had nothing to do with it. But yes, he did. Because he did say in court on Friday that he was the one that led them to Amber's body. And the reason being, he saw Amber Dubois' father give a plea and just say, you know, we want her back. Like, we want to do a proper barrier.
Proper burial with her body. And something just hit him. And he's like, all right, I need to put that family at ease. I need to tell him where she is. He actually felt guilty. He became human for a second. Is that true? That's true. Wow. Also, you guys, the argument on this is, I just read it, actually. People are saying, man, I can't believe they're going to put him in jail for life. It's going to be, I think, $47,000 a year it takes to keep somebody in prison every year. Thing is, though. There was not enough evidence to convict him or to even prosecute him on Amber's. This is all Mr. and Mrs. King out of the selflessness and goodness of their heart. They said, we don't want Amber's parents to go through this. And he has admitted to it. So we're fine not seeking the death penalty, which is I don't have the words to express how. amazing that is for the Kings to do. Especially in light of their pain. In light of their pain and everything else. How could you not want to see that guy die if you're the Kings? You know how? There's another little girl who has parents that would have no peace and no resolution. I watched his plea. I watched the video. And it was just chilling. All he said the whole time was...
Yes. Yes. Just admitting to, I guess, stuff he had prior admitted to, but the judge saying, is this correct? Is this correct? And to just hear all of that just itemized and just reduced to just such technical terms like that was just, ugh. And the moms were there, too, just crying and it's sad. I mean, he also admitted to attempting to rape another woman who was jogging in San Diego. That's probably the woman that we saw on Larry King. Yeah, it was. Yeah, before the whole Chelsea King thing happened. Well, you know, we talked about it before we went on the air today because it was such big news. And one of the things that we mentioned is just it's so sad. And we wonder, you know, as a show, we give you everything. You know, we give you the good, the bad. We make you feel every range of emotion. It was a story that we obviously have to talk about. But even as we. started to say the words then we all feel the same just sad yeah it just put my head in my hands man it's just feel sad it's so it's such a hard story to hear um but it's it's what happened you know i just thank god there's not going to be like you said two years of trial and appeal and he's waived his right to appeal he can never appeal he will never get out of prison right it's just i also think that it's
If there is a good, in a sense, that his family knows, we know who did it. We're done. He finally came forward. When I found the story, I was sad, but it's also a sigh of relief. There is some good in him. From what I hear, there's not a lot of mercy for a child rapist in jail. He should have an interesting rest of his life as well. It's pretty tough. That is if they don't isolate him. Aside from that, the other good that's coming from it is Chelsea's law that's getting passed and getting put in front of Congress. Absolutely. Weather. Oh, boy. Is it going to rain, you guys? Is it? Come on. I didn't realize I moved to Portland when I moved here. It's because you came here. It is because I came here. Woods came and the rain came here. What's up with that? Well, as you know, it was rained last night. Did it rain by you guys? Yeah. Rain on me this morning. Yeah, it's 6.30 p.m. last night. It started to rain. They're expecting rain a little bit this morning, and they're saying it's going to come back Tuesday night and possibly remain until Thursday. Oh, that's irritating. Oh, boy. Oh, we need it, though. You're fine. Oh, boy. We need it. My wheat is really dry right now. Southern California is in a drought. I haven't ran our sprinklers at our house in, like, months. Yeah, see, it's good.
You know how much water we're conserving? I'm sure. Just come on. I want to go to the beach, though. It'll come. Give us back San Diego. We'll have it. My parents came into town, as you know, last week. And it seems like every time I have visitors coming to town from the East Coast, they get that kind of weather. And then you feel personally responsible for it. You're like, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I was at Ralph's yesterday. I saw Edward Cullen here. He lives here now. Obviously. He moved here. Great. Yeah, Edward was here. Which else was that? Down here in Mission Valley. Yeah, you got to check it out. Edward Cullen was there. What does he eat? He was getting, he's got some pig feet. You're right. Squid, raw squid. Cheetos. Cheetos. Cheetos. Which is strange. Yeah, it was odd. I was in a Mexican market yesterday. Weird. Weird. Did you take a translator with you since you speak no Spanish? Really? I actually needed a translator. I know. Because I speak no Spanish. I brought in some food. I see that. I don't know, though, if you can handle it, CNR. Can you eat hot stuff? Oh, God. Really, dude? How many times must I tell you? No, but how hot? I can eat very hot. Okay. You had to do this? Woodsy, you cannot. I want it. You can't. Is it carne asada? No. He's going to be running out there like, what is it that we're going to eat? Ceviche. You don't like ceviche? I can't do raw seafood. It's not raw. Oh, yeah, but you can't eat this. It was cooked by the acid in limes and lemons.
Yeah. Oh, wow. Woods just gave me a look like he wants to, like, really? I'm going to Ralph. I just retched in my mouth. Honey girl just called back. Will you do it? Oh, absolutely. You will? You know that. There is no raw fish. What's that? It has raw fish, right? The shrimp went into this. What they do is they take raw. Can a pregger eat it? I don't think so. Get with your pregger. I would say no. I can't eat it. You can't say pregger. Yes, she can. I thought we put a moratorium. We put a moratorium on preggers. No, you guys did. I like pregger. I'm preggers. I like pregger. Prego. Prego. Prego. Hey, Honey Girl called us back for me to interview her. Hi, Honey Girl. Hello, by popular demand. That's right. How old are you? 40. You're 40 years old. What do you do? I work at a dental office. At a dental office? Mm-hmm. I'm the office manager. Married? Oh, nice. No, I've been divorced for, believe it or not, 17 years. Wow. Wow. Boyfriend? Sort of. Boyfriends? She's really not happy she called back right now. Yeah. Here's what I do.
It's kind of like, this is what I do in an interview. For me, an interview is kind of like I'm reaching around in the dark until my hand hits something. And then I go, oh, I found something. And then I want to put my hands all over it to figure out what it is. Yeah, and my heart is pounding right now because you have your hands in awkward places. Well, that's the deal, though. Michael's got his hands up your shirt right now. No, I do not. I do not. I'll tell you what it's like. I just found her. I'm a stranger, and she's got somebody putting their hands on her shoulders. Right now, that's what it's like, because I found her, and I'm like, oh, now I want to know all about you. Give your night vision goggles up. All right, hello. All right, I think there are phones from here. Let me ask some questions. Oh, hi. Can you help me with my crouch? Let me ask some questions. Is it okay? Can I interview you? It's going to be about your personal life. It's like you're a celebrity. That's the deal when you get interviewed. Love it. You're like a celebrity. Yeah. Okay, so we're going to pretend you're famous, honey girl. Okay, okay. So you say that you're kind of dating this guy. How long have you guys been kind of dating? About a month or so. Yeah? I'm screwed up, Mike. You haven't had that conversation yet, though, right? Oh, no.
No, it's awkward. Yeah, this all is very, yeah, hopefully. Do you have kids? I don't even know if he listens. Do you have kids? Oh, that's an interesting subject. I actually placed a child in an adoptive home two years ago because I wasn't able to take care of her myself. So that means no kids? Open adoption. Correct. None in my house. None in your house? Yes. I did birth, though. Got it. And you're 40? Yes. And? This man, how old is this man? He's 46. Is he divorced or has he never been married? No, he's twice divorced. Twice divorced? Yeah. Twice divorced. What do you like about him the most? He's a man. Okay. Yeah. That's a honest answer. Like me and Mikey? Yeah. Or Jay. You had to like something about him though. He's probably more like Jay than you and I like. Oh, I guarantee. I guarantee you.
If you could compare him to any celebrity, who do you think he looks like? Tom Pellick. He's got the mustache? Man. Yes. Guy looks like Magnum Pia. That's huge. He is a man. Does he wear really short shorts? Yes. No, he has no long shorts, long shorts. So, okay, I'm going to get, the questions are going to become a bit more probing now. Uh-oh. Have you kissed this gentleman? Yes. Okay, okay. Mike. What? Frenched. Stop it, Woods. That makes me so creepy. She's Frenched him, all right. All right. I'm weirded out. Frenched him real sweetly. Frenched him real good. Real sweetly. Stop. Weird. And so why have you guys not established that your boyfriend and girlfriend sounds so weird? I mean, they're in their 40s.
You're like, are we boyfriend and girlfriend? You're 40 and 46. Are we going together? I know. It's really weird. They will have you smiling with confidence. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I made an interesting observation over the weekend about myself, which was, at what age do we just start to use the word wonderful? Lauren. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. Woods. If I had my choice, I'd be sitting on a beach having a Marlboro, doing nothing, sitting, playing my guitar, that's it. Sienna. Yes, I have big boobs. And Jay. I'm so tired. On FM 94.9. What is this? What do you think it is? What do you think this is? Mariah. Let's listen just for a sec. Who else can sing like that? I can. Have you seen my stapler? Someone take it. Here we go, Sienna. That was pretty good. That was pretty good. That was good. Do it again. I don't know. Do it again. Give it a shot. My speakers are off. My headphones are off. There we go.
I like when Santa picks the music because it's the only time we hear pop or hip hop. Yeah. Great. I'm bummed that my, I want to do guilty pleasures now. Yeah, do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. All of mine are guilty pleasures. Me too. Me too. Next time. That's all the music I listen to. I listen to a lot of really cool stuff. Yeah, you do. I do? The fact that you have to tell yourself. Did you just say that you do? No, I don't. Oh, I said you do. I was like, it's like me saying. Gosh, I'm so good looking. If you have to tell yourself that you're hot, you're not. I recognize that I don't listen to a lot of cool stuff, but most of my stuff is guilty pleasures. Garrett was getting you this week. He was getting you for your guilty pleasure. Was he? Yeah. Meanwhile, he was probably loving them and listens to all of them. Wouldn't tell anybody. Of course. Can you imagine Garrett racking out the hinder? Oh, no. Me neither. Our program director, he knows a lot about music. It is. Ridiculous. It's ridiculous. But I feel bad because he can't just come forward and say his guilty pleasures because he'll be judged. I know. You can say whatever you want. But I bet you he likes it. Of course he does. I mean, listen, it's called pop music for a reason. It's popular. You know why it became popular? Because for whatever reason, when people listen to it, it's kind of candy-ish in their ears. You don't have to think a lot. You don't think a lot.
Just kind of move with it. It's kind of, you know, it's just popular poppy pop pop. I like melodies. That was funny, though. What did he say? What did he say? Oh, nothing. He goes, I was driving in the other day and I hear Hinder and Nickelback. He's like, I almost wrecked my car. I said, hey. Granted, I was singing along to it, but I can't say anything. I knew all the words. Yeah, I knew all the words and I loved it. It was delicious in my eardrums. Back when Borski was on. Yeah, when I first hired Barsky, he liked him too, but I changed him right out of that. When he was my morning DJ, I said, Barsky, you can't just go around playing Hinder. We need a clip of Garrett so that listeners can hear a comparison. We have to. We have to. That is a great idea. I told you, I want to do, because me, you, and Jay now does Garrett. Me, all of us do Garrett. And Pepper does him too. Pepper does it too. I could try. Try it. I want to hear you do it. Very good. Hanging out. Back in Philly. That's not bad. Back in Seattle. Back in Seattle. Hey Mike, it's Garrett. Philly, Seattle, Detroit. See you later. See ya. That's all I gotta say.
Well, the deal is, our program director, our program director, Garrett. Poor guy. We just kill him every day. He worked in Philly, Seattle, Detroit. And when you talk to him, he tends to bring those things up a lot. So you'll hear him talk about Detroit, Seattle, Philly. He'll also mention a guy that was very big and influential on radio named Scott Shannon. So when you're having these conversations with him, those things will come up. And so I said to Woodsy, Off the air, I go, Seattle, Philly, Detroit. See you later. And it killed Wizzy. So on Friday, he's driving up to Coachella, and he's going to be broadcasting with Garrett. And he texts me, hey, Mike, it's Garrett. Seattle, Philly, Detroit. See you. And I laughed so hard I may have passed gas. It was so sudden laughter. And so later in the day.
My phone rings. It's Woods. I answer it. I go, hello. And he put Garrett on his phone. And Garrett goes, Mike, Seattle, Philly, Detroit. See ya. You got him to do that? I lost it. I got him to do it. I laughed so hard. I laughed so hard. See, and Mike, Lauren, I don't know if you got the text, too. Mike texted me, hey, it's Garrett, Detroit. Yeah, I got the same text. Detroit, Seattle, Philly, or whatever. And I'm like, what? I was practically texting my mom. Mom, how you doing? It's Garrett. I was like, yeah, because you didn't explain, the first one you didn't say, ha ha, this is a forward from Woods. It was just like, hi, it's Garrett. That's the brilliance of it. Lauren, yeah, you know she likes to be walked down the path. It's kind of like a drinking game. If you wait for him to say Detroit every time, I'm like, okay, take a drink, take a drink. I'm like, I'm hammered two seconds in. You'd be hammered, yeah. But like watching that dude work and listen, like he was talking to these bands, he's like. So your album was produced by Bill Simmons, who, of course, as you guys all know, produced the first Guided by Voices record. And I'm looking at him going... He's a genius. He is a... He's a genius. And I'm watching him going, you're a mad scientist. Well, see, I had heard... I listened to 94.9 before I...
came and started working at the station, I had heard Garrett a million times on the air. So when I was talking on the phone, I was like, oh my gosh. I felt like I was talking to Scott Shannon. But then we talked to, I grew up outside Philly, so we had talked about like Barsky and we went on and on for like an hour. That is a real person. That's a real person. He didn't make that up. I didn't know it was going to become a bit because I was just as into the Philly talk as he was. We got to find this out. We got to do, let's do some of this. I got to hear this story. Mike, we're going to get to that story. Now I'm talking like Garrett. We're going to get to that story in a minute. But in what was obviously the top story in sports news, the Brewers of the San Diego Adult Baseball League won another one yesterday. Are you talking about your? Of course he is.
Your baseball team that you play in. Yes. Your adult pay-to-play baseball league that you're in. Yeah, we're on a winning streak. We won yesterday. This is his lead story. Yeah, it's my lead story. This is his lead story. This is his lead story. How did you do? Well, our shortstop Hobie had a huge game, as did our center fielder Frankie and our catcher Sean. I didn't know Frankie's playing center field for you. Yeah, not Frankie. Yeah, dude, I play. No, you don't. Our pitching was great. We got the win 13-7. How did you do? I was 0 for 3. Yeah, because you didn't text me back. I didn't see it until this morning. Because I texted you and said, how did you do? But I scored a run. I scored a run. My new ones are in a bromance, in case you didn't know. And I had an RBI as well. So I had an okay game. Okay, just average. My guys picked me up, so. There you go. Another news? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Is anything else happening on the planet? Two in a row for us. In real life. Way to go, Brew Crew. Guys leading with his adult baseball league story. I promised my guys I would. Really, Peter Pan? Yeah, I did. You are unbelievable. I did. Guy. Also, the NBA playoffs have started. Most of the teams that are the favorites won their first games. The Celts.
Cavs, Nuggets, Heat, Mavs, Lakers, Magic and Blazers all lead one to nothing. Celtics may be in a little trouble. They lost Kevin Garnett. I don't know if you guys saw this. He got suspended for game two. He elbowed Quentin Richardson in the face. No way. And it was kind of a little mini brawl on the sidelines the other night. It was pretty exciting. Oh, wow. So he suspended the one game? The one game. The one game, yeah. Also, so the story that we led with or that we teased was it was a very interesting weekend in Major League Baseball. There was a 20-inning game. Oh. Normal game, nine innings, right? Yeah. No score, I think, for 18 of those innings. Are you kidding? That's two full games back-to-back. So it was the Mets against the Cardinals. They used 19 pitchers. They had position players pitching. They had a guy that fills in at second base in their pitching. What? It took seven hours. This is why I don't watch baseball. There's no clock in baseball. Do you think anyone who watched that game on TV watched it? Yes. Yeah. I was watching a broadcast the next day and he goes, dude, I was going to go to bed last night and I turned the game on in the 10th. I was like, oh, cool. It's always fun to see two teams battling. Sure. And he's like, yeah.
Four hours later, it was in the 20th inning. What about there at the stadium? Oh, people were still there. Yeah, people were still there. You could have watched Avatar twice and The Hangover once during that time. Oh, my gosh. That's unbelievable to me. Isn't that crazy? Wow. I mean, at that point, at the end of the game, you're just on your phone answering emails. You can't still be paying attention. You just want to say that you stayed the whole time. Yeah, it's pretty insane. Also, one of the most exciting things in sports happened this weekend. Colorado Rockies pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez became the first Colorado Rocky to ever throw a no-hitter. It was very, very cool. It was against the Braves. What did he do after? So he goes and throws a no-hitter. What did he do immediately after the game? He... Went for a six-mile run. Weird. Yeah. Weird. Yeah, to clear his head. This kid, he's really, really special. He was still throwing 98 in the ninth inning. That's just smoke. Crazy. Also, the NHL playoffs have started, too. That's about how much I know about that. But M1 Lizzie wanted me to mention that the L.A. Kings are in the playoffs. They're tied 1-1 in the series with the Canucks.
Great. Really? Are you kidding me? The Flyers are in there, too, aren't they? Yeah, sure. Yeah, they are. They're looking good, too. The NFL draft starts next week in New York City, and it's just come out a couple weeks. This week? Next week. It starts Thursday. 22nd. It's Thursday. I just read. Yeah, it's 22nd. It's two days. Today is the 19th. I've lost my mind. Yeah, yeah. I thought it was, like, Thursday. Today's the 19th. We're getting the DeLorean real quick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The NFL draft starts this week in New York City, and it's just come out that a couple of players failed drug tests at the Combine. Georgia Tech running back Jonathan Dwyer tested positive for amphetamines, but they were in the prescription. No, they were in the prescriptions that he was taking. They don't ask that question? I don't know. Weird. USC tied in Anthony McCoy tested positive for marijuana, which is... Because they're all such stand-up guys at USC. I can't believe that happened. How dare you? Really? He's a domer. A USC player got smoked pot? It would be as if it were a Red Sox. That's so weird to me. He just can't help himself. He can't help himself. Last but not least, the Yankees swept the Rangers and the Red Sox have lost four in a row. What is this? That's Woods on Sports, pal. Wow.
He's lost his mind. Padres had a great weekend also. Great, great, great weekend. They did? Yeah, they're looking good. They're actually tied for second in their division and playing a lot better baseball. I watched a lot of Padres Saturday and Sunday. There you go. I'm in on it. I'm in on the whole thing. Lauren O'Brien. 570-1949 is our phone number. You can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Something strange happened in Memphis. Yeah. Tell us about this. Do we have this up, Jay? I was born in Memphis. Were you? Yeah. There you go, Pepper. What happened in Memphis? Well, there was a man who broke into someone's home. When the homeowner returned home, it was about 1 p.m. on Saturday, he saw that the door was pried open. About $650 worth of belongings had been stolen. And the genius robber decided it was a good idea to break bottles of hot sauce against the wall. So the guy walked in, saw hot sauce all over the place. And then he saw the man walk across his yard down to the gas station. So the homeowner followed this man and saw.
that there was hot sauce all over his clothes, called the police. Called the police, said, look, someone broke in my house, there's hot sauce everywhere, and now I see the guy with hot sauce all over his clothes. He's just feasting. Police showed up, and yeah, it was him. He's going to court today. I wonder what that 911 call might have sounded like. emergency, it's pretty urgent. There is some... All calls, ma'am, all calls to 911 are urgent. Yours is no more urgent than anybody else's. Okay, well, sir, there is an intruder in my house. I am following him out now. He took a bunch of my ho-hos. He took some other sort of fluff that my husband had, and now he's sort of gotten into the hot sauce. I don't know what he's doing. He's drinking it down by the gallon, and now I'm following him out. Through the backyard. Ma'am, don't follow him. Don't be a hero. I'm not a hero. You read every day about some hero trying to, you know, foil crime. You're not Catwoman. I'm not trying to foil anybody's crime. I am just a homeowner, sir. Hey, get over here. Give me that hot sauce. Let me talk to this guy, and please go in the other room. Lock yourself in the bathroom. Okay. Here he is. Here he is.
Yeah, who is this? Oh, this is Elvis Presley. Oh, this is Elvis. Yeah, uh-huh. Wow. So what can I do for you? Do you think that you're Elvis Presley? I know that I'm Elvis. Wow. Are you Elvis or are you trying to be Eddie Murphy imitating Elvis? Because I've seen Eddie Murphy Raw, too. I can do it also. Ready? We've got to win this race. See, I'm Elvis, too. You're nothing better than me. Hey, Elvis, you want some lemonade? Lemonade. That cool, refreshing drink. I felt some hot sauce. Hello? Hey, Peter, Pan, you're not Elvis Presley, buddy. Why don't you grow up? I'm Elvis Presley. So what are you doing drinking this lady's hot sauce, pal? I like hot sauce. I like hot sauce, too, but I'm not going to break into somebody's house and steal it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Well, uh. Stole it. Hello? Stop singing to me like you're Elvis. You're not Elvis. Hello? I stole it. I'm sending like five officers down to arrest you right now just for that terrible Elvis impersonation. That's one of the worst I've ever heard. I got to run, buddy. Okay. Take care, buddy. We'll be sending an officer down right now. Bye-bye. It was like an Elvis off. Catwoman and Elvis on that night. That's right. That's crazy. That's right.
Do you know what I realized when we were listening to that 911 call? What? This is our job. Yes, this is what we do for living. This is what we do for money. I know. This is our job. I was like sitting, taking notes, like trying to come up with bits yesterday. And I was like, man, this is hard work. Yeah. And I was like thinking about, I'm like, man, I wonder if other people work on Sundays. And I was like thinking about what I was coming up with versus like someone else crunching numbers. You know what I mean? Calculator. You should have seen my Sundays before this, like planning. I would have to find a million resumes to call. And it literally makes you want to kind of blow your head off. It's true. 570-1949. You need the number because of this. You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. Dude, You're Dumb is that guy. Okay, it's basically all of the situations that we go through in life where we meet people and we go, why do you do it that way? Why do you do it that way? Why don't you do it this way? You know, my way, the right way. That's what Dude, You're Dumb is. So it doesn't necessarily have to be bad. It just means you don't like it. And most of the time I hear them, I go, yeah, I don't like that guy either. That guy kind of makes me crazy as well. Woods? Got a few good ones for you today, dude. I'm going to call myself out on the first one.
Baseball players or athletes really that look like me yesterday. I made an error. First thing I did, I looked at my glove. I dropped the ball. I looked at it like, is there a hole in my mitt? Right. I'm an idiot. Yeah, it isn't me. First move, I missed it and I go, looked at the glove and shook my head like an idiot. Now, if you could pause that and you could actually think the thought through, it would sound something like this. well, there must really be something defective with this glove. Yeah. Because I'm athletic. Otherwise, I would have caught it. Otherwise, I would have caught it. So I better take this thing back. Yeah. That's like when you trip on something and you're like, there must be a huge obtrusion. Right. Sticking out of the ground. Do you know what I did in the middle of an inning, which I've never done before? What? Switched out gloves. Oh, I did. Really? I did. I go, I go, Pat. Is Kenny's first baseman's mid over there? I just haven't broken it in yet. In the middle of the inning. Did it help? No. If I was on the other team, I would be making fun of you all day long. Oh, yeah. Really, guy? Really chief? I made fun of myself. Can I ask you? Are you superstitious? Yes, very. Should I not text you anymore before a game? No, you can. I did it to Barry Zito. You know, I ruined him. Ruined his career. What?
You were responsible for Barry Zito's downfall? Yeah. The guy was incredible. I called him in the middle of a Giants game while he was playing Barry Bonds. Because he used to be the guy in the... Not like I had influential friends. Please. I was overstepping boundaries by calling him. He used to be on our show that he did a report for us. And I drunkenly, foolishly, stupidly called his cell phone during... It should have been often in the locker room, though. It was. It was. It was, but I called and left a message and said, dude, you are killing it against Barry Bonds. Oh, my goodness. You didn't. And then he lost the game and just did terribly. And he's never been the same since. It's not your fault. I'm a jinx. I'm a jinx. I am Oliver. The guy didn't even get the message until after the game. Maybe you don't text. Maybe you wait for the kid to text you after. Should I do that? I'm scared to death now. Yeah, now I missed you. Yeah. Should I not? Yeah. I ruined Barry Zeta. We'll try it a different way next time. All right. All right. This is a good one, too. The guy that puts his hazards on and then just thinks that just because your hazards are on, you can park wherever you want. It's cool, dude. I can go in here. Yeah. My hazards. Didn't you see the hazards? My hazards are on. It's the worst. So I can double park in front of your car. Sure. It's cool. My hazards are on. Everyone's done it. I can stop in the middle of the freeway. Everyone's done it.
I do the illegal park, but I'm like, ooh. You see the hazards. You guys are about to move, LLB and Woods. You 100% will do the illegal hazards. I do it all the time. I'm just going to run in, and then if an officer or some little ticketer were to be giving me a ticket, I'd be like, I put the hazards on. My hazards, you're on. This is my favorite one maybe that I've ever done. People who say we are pregnant. Not you. We. We're pregnant. Are you guys sharing a uterus? Sienna's pregnant. And she's looking at me right now like, are you kidding me? We're pregnant. Do you say it? No, I haven't said it because I do feel a little bit weird. Yeah. But it's just as much his baby as it is mine. Of course it is. But you guys don't share a uterus. So we are not pregnant. You are pregnant. What if Todd goes, hey guys, we're pregnant. No, he would say adopt a field lady or something like that. Yeah, exactly.
I've never thought about it until you said it. I'm 100% in. I don't know if it's dumb. Oh, it's dumb. It's just that he's excited, too. Yeah. Okay, does he walk in and go, we're menstruating? No. No, but he's... And maybe he should. He's not menstruating. We're menstruating. Vince just swung the bat. He just hit it out of the park. Yeah, he hit it out of the park. Get out of here. But it's not the same thing. He got her pregnant. He didn't give her her period. Yeah, exactly. Without him, she wouldn't be pregnant. It's a we. I think I'm with you, bro. I think I'm with you. You guys don't share a uterus. You're not pregnant. She's pregnant. I love it. Did you ever say we, Mike? Never. What about you, Jay? Yeah, you'd say we're having a baby. We're having a baby. We are having a baby is different than we're pregnant. All right. Okay, fine. Father of the bride or whatever. She's pregnant. They totally said we're pregnant. This is my wife, Sienna. Yeah. She's pregnant. Yeah. Yeah. I agree with this. This is my wife, Sienna. We're pregnant. Oh, yeah. Because we are not, like a woman should be like, we are not pregnant. I'm pregnant. You guys, have you guys ever seen the movie? I'd probably see it. Yeah, Lauren would. I would see it. Have you guys ever seen the movie Best in Show?
Yes. Remember the couple from L.L. Bean? 100%. They would say we're pregnant. Mikey. 100%. When she says, this is not a bumblebee, this is a bear in a bee costume, that is something that you would say. The little bumblebee toy? Yes. I was sitting on it. I was at Starbucks, and she was over across the street at a different Starbucks. We were both on our Macs. She was looking at the L.L. Bean catalog. It's the greatest. It's the greatest. If you've never seen it, please see it. We got one from M1 Taxi Girl, and M1's a Mikey Show listener, by the way. She says, How about the guy that still has the John Kerry for president bumper sticker on his car? Dude, you're dumb. It's time to take it off. I love it. It's so true. How long ago was that? We got the audio of Al Pacino coming up in just a second. I kind of want to go off the plan here for just a second. Weird. Well, I want to see, because everybody's like, oh, I can eat hot stuff. The two girls on the show are like, I can eat hot stuff. Well, you can't have it, though, Sienna, because it's shrimp. Yeah. Do you want me to try it, Sal? Yeah, if you would. Is it really hot? Come on, let's do it right now. Yeah. It's really hot. It's hot. Yeah. Prove it. It's really hot. Prove it. Retry it? I don't know, but I want to. Why? Those chips look hot to me. Oh, stop it. Yeah, because they are authentic. Are those corn or flour? Corn. Corn. Can you eat corn tortillas? I really, do you have any salsa or something that I can have? I don't, I don't. Sir Crunch a lot. Sir Crunchy. You can smell it, just taking it out of the, taking it out of the lunchbox. Wait a minute, is it prepared or are you going to start like mixing it?
I got a little fork here. These may be the crunchiest chips ever, everybody. How do you... Can you do hot, Jake? Where's the red stuff? I'm really upset. My mouth is watering. There is no red stuff. I know I would have you, but you can't because you're pregnant. You said there was acid. Well, the acid cooks the shrimp. What does it wait? And don't curse. You have a drink ready to go, buddy? Woodsy, how you living? Oh, boy. Oh, wow. He's trying to be tough. Oh, yeah, there it is. Oh, hello. He's coughing. He's coughing. Oh, God. How you doing? He's going to eat like 17 more chips. Jay's trying it. Ooh, L-O-B just went for it. Oh, God, dude. You doing all right? Oh, wow. He is pouring the water down. The water doesn't do anything. You need milk. The water didn't do anything for it. I thought you said it was hot. Oh, really, Jay? Yeah, that's not hot. Jay's awesome. What are you doing? He said, I thought you said it was hot.
That's not hot at all. It's tangy. That's hot. Look at that. That's awesome. I have such respect for these white girls. But it is good, though. We got a white girl and a white dude just threw down some hot Mexican food, and they're like, you know what? Mikey, it's delicious. It is delicious. I'm notorious for making really spicy food. Oh, props to you two. That's tasty. Oh, yeah. So good. It's good. Just to those two, huh? Did you make this? No. Who made it? Northgate Market in Escondido. Woods is getting more of Woods. Oh, he's back in. You need to say props to Woods or he's not going to stop. No more chips. No, you can't have a chip. Oh, yeah. This place, Northgate Market, the most amazing food. Where is it? They have them all over San Diego. They have about four locations here in San Diego. My wife would love that. Totally authentic. I need to get a bigger tub of whatever that is. That's right. It's really good. Really, really good. I've always had it with chunks of tomato. Yeah? Yeah. That one's really, really hot, so there is no tomato. It's really good. It's hot. All right, let's do some of this Al Pacino stuff. So, Al, tell us about, because Al's performances are always a little explosive. He was on 60 Minutes. Oh, wait, here's Sanjaya. How you doing, dude? What up, brother? Dude, that was the hot stuff I just had him try. Yeah, the habanero ceviche. Yep.
Yeah, that sounds bomb, dude. Oh, it's so good, bro. Did you get the aguachile? Yep. Nice. Oh, yeah. You got all the good stuff. Dude, it's such a great recommendation. Yep. That's good, man. Place is called Northgate. Really good food. Authentic. Thank you, Sanjaya. All right, brother. All right, so here's Al on his performances. He never does interviews. Just did 60 Minutes. His performances are often defined by volcanic moments, so much so that some of his directors wonder where his intensity comes from. You're out of order! You're out of order! Let's make a deal! Sidney Lumet once said of you, everything stems from some incredible core inside of him that I wouldn't think of trying to get near. You hear him growling already? Because it would be like getting somewhere near the center of the earth. Whoa. But where does sort of the explosive nature of your performance... What do you want to know? What business is it of yours? I'm interviewing you. Yeah, well, you don't have a right to know. Where does that come from? We all got that in us. I see it. Oh, my gosh. Listen to that voice. Every day, I see it.
Babies, I see it in animals. Really, you see it in babies, Al? I see it in babies. I want to punch babies. Clear your throat, Al. I feel babies are saying, what do you want from me? I see it in people all the time. Maybe you need a bottle. Hungry over here. It's right there. Rage? Yes, it's right there in everybody. It's just as actors access these things. He's good. He's real good. Al Pacino's real good. Let's see. He says there's a couple of performances he didn't put enough into them. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. We interrupt this broadcast. We interrupt this broadcast. Oh, my gosh. I love it. Who sent these donuts? I love you. The Yum Yum Guys? I love you. Oh, Yum Yum Guys. Give me the box. You're the best. Thank you, Yum Yum Donuts. Look at the ones with the jimmies on them. They have condoms on donuts. Jay, bring it over here because I'm tangled. Lauren, look at Sienna. She's all tangled. Look at Sienna. Just keep them over there. I've never seen a woman so happy. I've never seen a woman so happy. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Good Lord. Oh, my goodness. I wish that that were on video. That would have made YouTube.
That would have been on YouTube. She's feasting. That pregnant woman tearing off her headphones. Yeah. Grabbing it on the air. Look. It's completely tangled up in her own necklace. And she. Oh, my gosh. This is a best up moment. This is a best up. That was a puma. Yeah. A tiger. Leaping. Oh, my God. Honey, they weren't going anywhere. I have never. Yum Yum in La Jolla. They are fresh out of the oven. Wow. There's no Yum Yum. There's no Yum Yum in La Jolla. I'm glad there's no small children in between Sienna and the Yum Yums. Yeah. Ernie hooked it up for us. You know, guys, it was a really special moment, but it was also really sad knowing that in La Jolla, the people of La Jolla have gone without Yum Yum donuts. It burned down. This weekend at the Belly Up, we're going to be doing a charity benefit for the people of La Jolla. People of La Jolla.
And Yum Yum Donuts. Oh, my God. You guys, this is the best day. That is so nice. Look at that. That's so beautiful. You guys, one of the things about being pregnant, I dream about food. I'm not even kidding you. And one that I dreamt of this weekend was Yum Yum Donut, Rainbow Sprinkle Donut Holes. I'm going to have to try these Rainbow Sprinkle Donut Holes. And I couldn't have them. Thank you, Yum Yum Donuts. David and Ernie at Yum Yum Donuts 517 Telegraph Canyon Road. Chula Vista brought donuts for us. That's the one I drove all the way to. You guys. That's right, because of the sad state of Nevada right now. I'm so happy. Wow. I was jumping. Jerry Lewis is going to do a telethon where he's like, you guys. Right? It's been without a donut shop. Congratulations. You got your yum yums. Welcome back. Those are awesome. Sorry. Especially because I couldn't eat the ceviche. I know it. You were pretty upset about it. Al Pacino. Sometimes I don't, and I always pay a price for that. When don't you? When I'm not that interested in what I'm doing. What role did you feel you didn't pay enough attention? Well, there might have been a couple. You see them on television occasionally. I go, whoa, what was that? What was I thinking there? There are only a few that you'd ever see on TV. So when he says that, there's only a few you'd see on TV. Heat, son of a woman.
Is he saying that? I think he's talking about television roles. Is he not? No. What's he talking about? He's talking about movies that you see on television. What movies? That's what we're discussing. Hi, welcome to the Mikey Show. You're Lauren O'Brien. That's Mikey. You think he's talking about heat and scent of a woman? Dude, he overacted like crazy in heat. I agree. He was not very good. De Niro was great. You're talking about what? You're talking about what? Underacted, I think is kind of what he's saying. No. No? Not in that movie. What day is it? Good Lord. Did you smoke marijuana cigarettes before you came to work today, Pepper? If you did, try those donuts. Oh, jeez. You'll love them. My goodness. What just happened? The scent of a woman is always on TV. Heat's always on. I just, I can't. What else? Oh, I'll tell you what was a turd. What? That movie where he plays the devil. Oh, no way. That movie's genius. John Milton? He was dorky. What is that? Devil's Advocate? It's Devil's Advocate. That movie's genius. Dorky. You're crazy. You're crazy. I bet that's what he's talking about. I like you, man. I like you, man. You're crazy. They play that on TV all the time. Yeah, it's a great movie. That's a great movie. I'm not crazy. You are crazy. Charlize Theron. So hot. Terrible. Topless. She's topless? In that movie.
Wow, she's pretty hot. Let's see. Moss? Another donut box. Another? Are you kidding me? You can't do this to me. Jay, I'm going to be a thousand. There's a whole other one in my office. No way. Of rainbow sprinkles donut holes? Can I take it home? Wow. Yeah, she should get to take the rainbow sprinkles home. All right. I'm going to. I don't care what you say. I'm going to. Those guys are awesome. Yum Yum Donuts. If you guys haven't tried these things. But you can't get them in La Jolla. Don't drive to La Jolla because you won't find one. That's right. Chula Vista. We had to take a supersonic jet from La Jolla to Chula Vista just to get them. She's going back for more. Mom! Fire up the G5! Can't you just buy another one? Mom, can we have a Yum Yum Donuts built in our bathroom? Please! I don't want to get out of the gold bathtub when I'm taking a gold bottle bath. I'm serious. If I could have any restaurant-type place in my house, I could choose. Yum, yum, donuts. It's really good. Wow. And it would be really good for me, too. Let's see. Oh, we're going to do... Ooh. We got to name that tune, huh? Can I play? Oh, please. Jay. Sure. Can I play? Yeah, absolutely. Get in here. I'm coming in. Get in here. Let's do this. 5-7-0. You're going to play, Mike? Yeah. Oh, geez. 5-7-0.
1-94-9. You're going to get on Sienna's mic? Yeah, come over here. Yes. Name that tune. Here's the way that we play it. We call it Name That Tune. It isn't really Name That Tune. It's movies, TV shows, whatever. Jay will tell us what it is today. And you call and pick a horse. You're going to pick me, Sienna, Woods, or Pepper. Me, Sienna, Woods, or Pepper. And as soon as we recognize what we're hearing, we shout our name out, we're called upon, and then we answer what it is that we heard. Who's going to keep score? I don't know. Why don't you keep score, Pep? I'm on score. Fine. I know that. I don't trust either of these brothers. Now, here's my hope. Jay, please tell me that you put some movies from the 80s in there so that Pepper doesn't cry about it because she was crying. Oh, these girls, that's all they do is they complain about this. They complain? I'll cheer for Mikey. Okay. Yes, there's donuts in my mouth. She'll be feasting. Let me tell you, that pregnant woman over there named Sienna is... feasting on donut rolls. You guys, this is... You're like Augustus Gloop jumping into that chat. This is like a foreign delicacy to me because it's so far from my house. It's like nine!
Miles from my home. It's like traveling to Vietnam from San Diego. Takes like an hour to get there. No way. Yeah. Really? And sometimes they're out of them when I get there. We chartered a diamond bus. A bus made of diamonds. We chartered it. M1 Medical, who do you want? Pepper. Really? Really, dude? All right, hang on. Good move, pal. I guess you didn't feel like winning anything, did I? M1 Megan. Yeah? Who do you want? Which? You know that. Stop it. M1 Mark. Yeah. Who do you want? Who's left? I can't really hear you guys. Me or Sienna? Sienna. Yes! How dare you? Yes! How dare you? M1 Brandon? Yeah. You got me. Oh, okay. Hang on the line. Oh, okay. Sure. Oh, yeah. Here we go. Come on in. Let's see.
I'm keeping score. There is the correct, there's correct, and there's incorrect. Woods, Sienna. I need to stop jumping, I think. Lauren. I'm excited. Let's do this. I'm ready. All right. As you're listening in your car, you can play along. As soon as we recognize, we yell our names out as a buzzer. Let's go. All right. Here we go. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched sea beams glitter in the dark near the Tenhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time. Like... Mikey. 2001 A Space Odyssey? It's a point deducted. That's right. I was kind of thinking something similar, but I didn't want to say. Anybody? Nope. What was it?
Blade Runner. Oh. Was that Wesley Snipes? Yeah. I never would have got it. No. Oh, no. I didn't think of the wrong movie completely. Is that Barbara Walters? Yeah. Put your marijuana away. I don't know. So random. Was that John Bartles of Bartles and James? Was that Bartles of Bartles and James? You stop that right now. Okay, here we go. People against goodness and normalcy. Woods. P.A. Dragnet. What in the world is Dragnet? These are 80s movies, girls. I know this is what you requested. I requested 2000s. You know that. I wasn't even born for half of the 80s. Why don't I just let you guys do it yourself? How about you just tell me what you want on there? Why don't you just tell me the name of the movie you want to see? Here we go. You ready? Yes. Quarterback, New York Jets. Dale Arden, Your Highness. Live and let live. That's my motto.
My name is Hans Zarkov. I'm a scientist. I kidnapped them here in an effort to save our planet Earth. An obscure body in the SK system, the satellite which has been giving you so much amusement recently. But why? We are only interested in friendship. Why do you have time? It's 80s. Lauren? Planet of the Apes? Is she? We are. Is she? We're on point. What? I don't... Flash Gordon. Are you kidding? What in the world is that? I'm not kidding. It was in the top movies of the 80s. Good. Okay. Keep them coming. Here we go. You ready? I had to try. Here we go. Let's do it. More random. I'd like to dedicate this to my father, Francis L. It's a song the girls in the band wrote, Lisa and Wendy. Mikey. Purple Rain. Yeah, Mike. Now I'm back to zero. All right. You and I are tight. Oh, this is so much fun to watch.
Just the wheels turning. Are you? Is she? Oh, really? I don't like the movie selection. Yeah, can we get movies that I like? How about movies from the 80s that Pepper O'Brien actually watched? Jay. How about you just come to my house, look through my DVDs, and choose from the movies. I'm so sorry. You get my movies. Yeah, just give me a list or it works for you. I've just never even heard it. By the way, I've never seen Purple Rain. You've never heard of Purple Rain? I've never seen Purple Rain. You've never heard of Purple Rain? I recognize Prince's voice. That was the only thing you can do. Oh, I did it. I wouldn't have recognized it. I've never seen it. You thought Purple Rain was by Michael Jackson? No, I thought the voice was Michael Jackson. Close enough. So there was a movie. Yeah. In addition to the song. I quit. I know. I quit. This is from a girl who doesn't own a TV. Here we go. Here we go. Hi. What's yours? Hi. Chucky. Mikey. Child's play. Come on. Mikey got that. Yes. I've never seen it. I heard Chucky. I know Chucky's child's play. There we go. Never seen it in my life. All right. It's about to get serious. Oh, man. That was a mistake. Here we go. This guy's been stoned since the third grade.
Fast times at Ridgemont. Hi. What scene was that? That's Spicoli. He goes, this guy's been stoned. This guy's been stoned since the third grade. Yeah. When Spicoli walks in. I know that, dude. I know that. Spicoli. Oh, is that it? Yeah, there's a little bit more. Oh, it's a great scene. Great scene. All right. I know that, dude. I know that, dude. Hey, Mr. Han, since this is your time and I'm here, too, technically, doesn't it make it our time? Okay, we're on to the next one. Oh. Wow, anger. Come on. Lauren. Poltergeist? All right, you little maggots, now line up. How'd you go over the rules? Excuse me? Woods. Goonies? Mikey. Twilight Zone. Okay, play it again. I think I can figure it out. All right, you little maggots, now line up. How'd you go over the rules? Excuse me? Are you serious? You can't run a tight ship without rules. Now move! Oh, I know it. Jeez, what's this lady's problem? I'm scared. Yeah, I'm scared. Look, lady, I don't know what your deal is, but you're not here to order us around. I've heard about enough of your lip, Missy. Co-op, please. Or I'll make your summer a living. Help! I know it. It's, uh... You already guessed. I know, I know. I was gonna guess. Wait, we need to get the final...
Is that it, Jay? Do you know it? No, and I know I've seen it. Is it Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead? Yeah, it's the lady from Goonies. I'm sorry, I'm on medical. Woods with one, Sienna none, Lauren with negative two, and Mike with zero. I'm negative two. I'm still in this. Yeah, we got a bunch today. I actually got us a bunch in there, so here we go. Are you ready? Yep. Can you look out that window, please? What was I supposed to see out there? Mikey! Now it's Twilight Zone the movie. Yeah! That was John Lithgow. That's exactly right. That's right. In the plane. That's in the plane. Okay, here we go. You ready, girls? Ready. I'm counting on you for this one, Sienna. Okay. Must be a cartoon. Woods. Lauren. Breakfast Club. All right. What the heck is that? Woods quotes it all day long. When have I ever quoted it? It's an 80s. Weren't you big in the Breakfast Club? I was even born when it came out. That's true. Oh, boy. I don't think I was either. I'm just kidding.
Here we go. You ready? Morning. Headed north or south? North. Now jump in. I'll make sure you're heading the right direction. You got someplace I can eat around here? There's a diner about 30 miles. It's actually First Blood. Where the heck is that? The Rambo movie. I was going to say Rambo, and then I remembered first blood. I like that you didn't just say first blood. Well, you know, it's actually first blood. I was going to say Rambo. That's a trick question. I was like, is that sly? I think that's sly. You guys can all feast. Dang it. Here we go. Wow, there's things flying around the room. Come on, get it. Not many girls in contemporary American society today would give the round of word to help. Woods. Oh, damn. 16 candles. Was it? I was about to say CNS. How many more we got? O'Brien's checking out. O'Brien is checking out. Four more. Okay, Mike, you're still in this. I can still do it? Yeah. I'm only one behind Mike. Yeah, you're only one behind Mike. Let's do it. Come on. With the more attractive of you, please step forward. Mikey. Mikey. Arthur. Mike's in the fight. I was going to say, I'm glad you said that because I was going to say Dudley. Dudley. Dudley. Here we go. Curse, you bonsai. Don't you realize what I'm saying?
Your whole plan is you're going to be destroyed and you sit here wasting time. Time? I got nothing but time. Sealed with a curse as sharp as a knife. Doomed is your soul. Lauren. Come on, Lauren. The golden child. Nobody knows. Nobody knows. Buckaroo bonsai. Never heard of it. I've heard of it. Negative three. Four to negative three to two. Here he comes. I want to spend the night with you. Do you mean sleepover? Woods. Last one. Here we go. How's it going, royal ugly dudes? Give it to Lauren. Come on. Go ahead. There's Woods. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures. Oh, come on. I would have won anyway. Weird. Well, exactly. Why couldn't you do it to Lauren? Nice. Those were hard, dude. Yeah, try 80s movies. Well done. Well done, my friend. I think I got robbed twice on the call-in. We need buzzer buttons. This is garbage. Let's see. The kid is on a massive hot streak right now, by the way. And he's really humble about it, too. Very. As you would be, too. M1 Megan.
Oh, awesome. That a girl. You know that. You're playing with us grown-up children. But your boy Woods just won for you. Hang in line, okay? Awesome. Thank you. You bet. What was it? What did she win, Jay? What is the prize? She got the DVD pack or DVD movie pirate rating. Wow. Pirate Radio and the Iggy Pop and Stooges Raw Power Seat Legacy Edition. Wow. I don't know what just came out of your mouth. I have got donuts in my mouth right now. Lucky man. 570-1949 is our number, or you can text us. Text, or excuse me, 949mikey at gmail.com. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Monday morning, being brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate. Celebrate Earth Day all the rest of this month, and on the 20th, celebrate Earth Day at UCSD with Guayaquil Yerba Mate. Plenty of free, fresh beverages to sample, so give that a go. Surf-wise today, still looking fairly fun, but real selective as that west-southwest really swell remains dominant. Kind of a hit-and-miss situation coming off of some pretty low tides this morning. Most areas kind of weaken that needle-waist-high zone, maybe some pluses on top of that, kind of suctioning and closed out, too, with that lower tide. Look for some improvement throughout the morning as that tide fills in. Top soft-facing areas, however, are stretching it up to the chest-shoulder-high zone, even a rare head-high plus that wave at times, but only a few of those most select areas, and even those areas are suffering a bit from that low tide right now, too. Right now, it looks like we're going to have sunnier skies, partly cloudy at the moment, and light and variable winds, but generally clean surface textures.
So as the morning continues, tide fills in. I think all spots will have a little bit of improvement in both size and shape. For up-to-the-minute surf reports, forecasts, go to surfline.com. You love it. Oh, I can't get enough of it. I think it sounds great in my ears. Woods. I am real talented, but I'm not stupid. Lauren. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. Yes! Sienna. I like a beer belly. I'm going to tell you that right now. And Jay. Howdy-ho, neighbors. On FM 94.9. Sienna's cooking the music today. Little Alice Cooper schools out. We got it! I can't put all pop in hip-hop, so. That's right. Or else you can. I know. No, I like this song, too. I played all hair metal. That's right. I like it. I like the variety. My wife will tell you that it kind of drives her nuts, that aspect of my personality. The variety? Yeah, because I can't just have one thing. I've got to have a bunch of little things around me. I try a little bit of everything. I like the variety. You do.
And I'll do strange stuff like I can't just have Doritos. I have to have some kind of like nuts or something so that I have both textures in my mouth. I'm like that. You are? Uh-huh. Doritos and nuts. I need that crunch. I need that crunch. And then I need something soft or something salty. That's weird. Yeah, it is. How about this? This will help you. Now, and I'm going to enlist men and women. to help out with this at 5701949. It's about cologne. Now, there was an article that just came out, right, Sienna, that kind of gives men some help with cologne. Yes, five rules on how to properly use cologne. All right, so we'll hear that first. But what I want is two things. I want dudes to call in with what Woods would call the never-had-a-chance cologne. Yeah. He's got a pair of never-had-a-chance jeans. He says these jeans are so good. When I was single. When he was single. That the girls never had a chance. They didn't. You still wear the same jeans? How long have you been married? Two years. No. You've only been married two years? Yeah. Santa, he takes those jeans to get repatched in the crotch because they keep tearing out. That's how long he keeps them. Don't you remember he asked me to originally sew them? Is that what the deal was? So.
I want you to call guys with your never had a chance cologne. Yeah. So you're calling to tell us, dude, this cologne gets so much attention from the ladies. And ladies, I want you to call. Yeah. And tell us what smells absolutely on. You can't keep your hands off. I just discovered one this weekend. I got it for Todd. What was it? Save it. All right. Yeah. Save it. Ladies call. Men call. Call us now. Okay. Five rules on how to properly use cologne. Number one, the easy does it rule. You know what that means, right? Cologne is not meant for bathing. Do I wear too much cologne? No. Lauren, do I wear too much cologne? No, I didn't know that you actually wore cologne. Really? This is how I know that you didn't. It's because when you walked in, I couldn't smell it. But when you came next to me, I could smell it. Yeah, that's how you're supposed to be. Right. If you can smell it. Oh, man. Let me tell you. Back in the 80s. Let me tell you about KWSS.
When I used to work at a pop station called KWSS in the early 90s, I worked with a woman named Michelle. And she wore Obsession by Calvin Klein. She was obsessed with it. Obsession. It smells good. Obsession, well, first of all, it used to smell great. Obsession. If somebody was wearing Obsession now, I would be like, come on. It's a little played out. It's like dudes wear jacar. A guy can't wear jacar. Cool water. Or cool water. Is Aquadigio played out now? Yes. Is it? It's getting there. It's like on its last leg. You've got about three months left if you're still wearing the Aquadigio. Guys, burn that stuff up. I mean, spray it as much as you can. Well, it's like, why do scents go out of style? They do. I don't know, Lauren. That's a great question. I have an answer. I have an answer. The reason that they go out of style is because a scent will become so wildly popular. We're going to contribute to it. Yeah. We'll talk about what scents are great, what fragrances are really good on a dude, and guys will rush out to get them. Yeah. You'll smell them everywhere, and then they will become the poison and the limp biscuit of their time. Right, right. I always see those commercials for Axe Body Spray. I don't know if I've actually smelled it. Have you smelled it? It smells good. You have smelled it because I wear it. Oh, okay. Yeah. So does it drive the women wild? No.
No, but you know, part of why it doesn't is because I'm also, you know, two foot four and I weigh 900 pounds. No, I really like Axe. That might contribute a little bit to why they don't go crazy. Tag is just like Axe, isn't it? It's like the same deal. They both smell good. Tag, yeah. Tag body spray. Yeah, another one of the how to properly use cologne rules. It's the heart that counts rule. Apparently, you're supposed to add a dab of your cologne wherever you can feel a heartbeat. Oh, yeah. Like your wrists, the sides of your neck, and your heart. Michelle. from KWSS did not understand that concept about perfume. She sprayed so much of that sweet smelling obsession. Clinique Happy? Oh, this is the obsession. Obsession. Waylon Jennings? She's a little bit marijuana-ish today. I think so! And she doesn't even smoke pot. It's Monday. Anyway, so yeah, a little goes a long way. Yes. The Clouded Crub... The crowded club rule. They say to put a little bit of cologne on the back of your neck if you're going out to a club or a bar or something like that because if it's crowded and you're like trying to squeeze through, the ladies smell it a lot better if it's on the back of your neck. When Mikey and I go clubbing, that's one of the things that we make sure. Do you dab it on your neck, bro? Yeah. Yeah, when we know we're going to be a place where the DJ is, you know, where we know the DJ. Yeah, we're with the DJ. We're with the DJ. Can you imagine Mikey and I at a club? Oh.
Would be the worst. Yeah. Dude, first of all, you'd have to put me in a baby bion. Yeah, for sure. Because, you know, Woods is six feet tall. Get me out of here. Yeah. Get me out of here. No way. You guys could do like the, what is up? Get me out. Get me out of here. Get me the hell out of here. That would be me. Absolutely. It'd be me too. I hate clubs. Lauren, you, I bet I hate clubs. Oh, yeah. I hate that. I get claustrophobic. I don't like big crowds in general. Oh, you would have loved Coachella. Oh. Were people on top of each other? Some. It's a lot of people. I like a lot of people. As long as there's room to walk around, when people are doing this bit, right in your ear, I'm like... I think there were 75,000 people there each day. And you could feel the people pressed up against your back. Capacity is 60, I heard. I heard it was 85, and they reduced it to 10,000 just to make it comfortable. In the VIP, it was packed. You couldn't pay. There's not an amount of money that I could pay to keep me away from that situation. Will you go to Coachella with me next year? Of course not. Please. No. Can we do a broadcast from there? Really? Hot smoke, sweat, people. We'll do it in a house, bro. Are you kidding? It's all the things that make me nauseous. Please. It's all the things that make me go, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I bet you in a year I can shame him into doing Coachella. No, dude. You won't. No. Come on now. Road trip, bro. Oh, really?
Yeah. As soon as we get there, you check me into a nice hotel. Fine. And I'll stay there while you go. Fine. Deal. I just want you there. We'll send you the live feed on your laptop. I really miss my crew, dude. Oh, my goodness. I don't want to go with myself. I couldn't. Jake's there? Yeah. He hung out at the house the whole time. I was with the peeps. I was hanging with the people. Yeah. Down the trenches. Yeah. I wish that I were more that guy. I wish that I were more outgoing. I'm not outgoing. You know, people make me nervous. Come watch the show with me. I want to go to a show with you. Okay, get a DVD. Let's watch it. Oh, come on, Pete. I wouldn't do that. Just one day. Will you come one day? Will you come one day? We'll go see one band. You have a year to argue about it, children. We'll pick a band that you really like, and you'll come for one day, and we'll stay at a nice hotel. What is this? Please? Please. Goods, leave him alone. I'm begging you. He's making me uncomfortable. I'm begging you. I'm uncomfortable listening to this. Sienna, tell me more about cologne. Yeah, okay. Now, this, five rules on how to properly use cologne. This one creeps me out. Go ahead. The daddy dearest rule. They're saying, guys, and don't listen to this. This is creepy. What? Guys, if you know the cologne that your girl's dad wears, get it. That's creepy. Why? No. Because they say that if you smell like the dad, then she'll feel safe around you. Subconsciously, like she feels, oh, that's weird. Nobody wants to be making out with their dad. Well, and nobody wants to be like.
Nobody wants to be wearing Old Spice. Or British Sterling or something. I was going to say, my dad wears some hair tonic and the Old Spice. And I hope he's not listening because we call it his bug juice. Oh, wow. And if I smelled that on a dude, I'd be like, hit the road, buzzard. Hit the road, buzzard. Oh, my gosh. That is a Lauren, Mrs. O'Brien phrase. Hit the road, buzzard. Can you please bring that? Like, let's get that going as a phrase. We'll try and get it going. Your mom said that at lunch. Five times. Yeah. Hit the road, buzzer. Hit the road, buzzer. Followed by this. Tears coming down her face. Is that the last one? No, the last one is the attention to detail rule. Apparently, there are guys out there that think it's a good idea to combine colognes. I do. I've done it before. You guys. Yeah, I've done it. It depends on what it is. They actually refer to these guys as idiots. Yeah, yeah, that's me. I'm an idiot. That's me. I'll go with that because sometimes, depending on what it is. They're not talking about like lotion. I know. No. I've done the double spray. We'll do the double spray. I do like a quarter pump here and a quarter pump there. No. No, no, no. Call it the suicide. So we got men and women calling us right now. We want the.
knock down colognes from dudes that always keep you in business. Well, also, this is another something to just throw into the mix. I thought it was an urban legend, but things do smell differently on different people. You know, it interacts with your chemical makeup or whatever. So sometimes someone will tell me, like, I'll smell a perfume on somebody and be like, oh, I need to get that. I get it, and I don't smell at all the same. Pheromone. Different patchouli smells different to different people. That's right. Just a dab of alfalfa. Lemon rinds. M1 Venna. Venna, are you there? Hello. Hi. Hi. Tell me the great, tell me a cologne that's going to get you every time. Dolce & Gabbana, bi. Dolce & Gabbana what? Bi, like bisexual, but it's not a bisexual cologne. But the cologne is called bi? Yeah, it's in a tube, it's a zebra-like bottle. Yeah, it's great. I love buy. You wear it? Wolfgang, do you wear the scent? I don't wear it. I know you do. I wear it. It's great. Wolfgang, you wear it. It's called buy, Michael. Yeah, and what does it smell like? It smells like heaven. Okay. It's a soft smell. Another rule is if you can taste it off a person, like, they're wearing too much. Yeah. What does that mean? I work at Starbucks, and someone comes to the register, and I can taste it.
their cologne in my mouth, I have to actually take a step back, and it's like an awkward step back. I will. I don't think they realize it, but if your cologne is overpowering the smell of Starbucks, like you're wearing too much. Yeah, well, here's the deal. I will say this, Vena. I would take the overpowering contemporary perfume or cologne over the overpowering old lady anything. You know what? I would take the overpowering cologne over the old lady any day also. Because that's an awful smell. Old lady perfume. Old lady perfume. It kills me. When you smell the old ladies and you smell that like gardenia or rose. Rose. Like you smell a rose. Like somebody's just put a rose balm in your face. It's awful. My grandma wears so much perfume. And it's old lady perfume, right? She'll have come to my parents' house during the day. And then when my dad comes home from work, like later on that night, my dad will say. Was Betty here? Yeah. And you can smell it. Oh, it's the worst. And you know what's funny? In about 30 years, there's going to be some girl that in 1987 was real hot wearing Obsession. Yeah. She's going to be somebody's grandmother. And people are going to be like, oh, that old lady perfume. And it's going to be Obsession. Yeah. What were your go-tos back in the day? Cologne? Yeah. My go-tos were, well, when I was in high school, polo. Polo green. Green. The green one. Check.
Smelled like, it smelled like evergreen. It smelled like spruce. It smelled like a polo field. Yeah, it did. It's amazing. Do you guys ever go for like the Abercrombie and Finch line of stuff? Had that. Had Banana Republic too. Never did that, but I did go through the Jakar deal. Did it? Obsession. Obsession for men. Yep. Eternity for men. Slang with eternity. For sure. We want women to call and tell us what cologne on a dude works like a charm. And we want men to call and say, dude. This will win every time. Sienna, do you have one? Yeah, I just went shopping. It's funny. I went shopping to buy Todd Cologne on Friday. And when I went to the area and I said, I want to smell a whole bunch of them. And the guy said, it's funny. You know that you're in a good relationship when the girl comes to pick up the cologne. Because the guys don't know. Because the girls are the ones that smell it. We know. What did you like? Some of us know. So I smelled a bunch. And I really liked Versace. And I don't know how you pronounce it. I think it's like pure home. Yeah, Versace, pure home. Porhome. Is that how it's pronounced? Yeah, Porhome. Porhome. I thought it was Porome. Porhome here. Okay. No, it's like P-O-U-R-H-O-M-M-E. It's on a lot of them. You're screaming at the top of your lungs. But, ooh, it was good. How about you, Pepper O'Brien? I prefer very light, kind of natural. Hey, for horse. Hey. What's that? Hey, for horse. No. It's funny, because back in the day, like, you guys are talking about Jakar. I used to take my shark watch, which was, like, made out of, you know, cloth or whatever, when I was... What?
I'd go to the mall, and I would spray Jakar, like, men's perfume on my watch. So I would just, like, I'd be, like, in seventh grade and be like, oh, yeah. That's the smell of man. Yeah, the smell of man. I don't know what it is, but I'm in on it. But now I don't like any of those, like, first of all, overworn but overcommercialized, like, overpowering smells. I like something really light. Then what was it called? Jean-Paul. Jean-Paul Gaultier. Gaultier. It's like a. The bottle is a torso of a man. Yeah. Like stripes on him. It's blue, right? Yeah. Bluish green, I think. I've seen it. I think there's two different kinds, but that's one I like, but only on like special occasions. What does that mean? Like, I don't like it all the time, but you know, it's like, okay, we're going out to dinner tonight. I smell cologne. Do you ever wear perfume? I wear body spray. Body spray. 570-1949. And lemon rinds. Yeah, lemon rinds. She rubs lemon rinds all over her skin. It's very natural. Let's see. M1Nate. Are you there, Nate? Yeah, I'm here. What works like a charm? Victoria's Secret, very sexy for men. Victoria's Secret, very sexy. Victoria's Secret makes men suck. I don't know that I could do it. That's what I said. And my sister told me about it and was like, hey, you have to check this out. And it took me a while to get up the courage to go in there. You're like that creepy guy with all the 13-year-olds.
It's just like I really don't feel comfortable in that situation with little girls. I don't know. One of my friends I used to work with, he waited in the car and sent me in with his money to buy it for him. It smells good. Yeah. Let's see. M1. Oh, wait. Sorry. There is no name. What's your name, bro? Me? Oh, it's a girl. Sorry. It's a girl. Sorry. My name's Joey. I get it all the time. Okay. What is the will not fail cologne for you? Hugo by Boss. Oh, yeah. Good. I mean, it's kind of old, but I absolutely love it. I bought it several times for a few boyfriends of mine for Christmas and birthdays. It's awesome. I hope men are taking notes. A few boyfriends? Yeah. You got your boyfriend the same clone as other boyfriends? If I knew that, I'd flip my mind. My mind would flip. You smell just like Paul did. Oh my God. I just got angry and I'm not even dating her. The smell is a little different on you than it was on Frank. Holy cow. I love that. It smells so good. Good thing there's only one Joey in all of San Diego that's a girl that's saying this right now.
Oh, my gosh. Me and Joey Lauren Adams. Yeah, Joey Lauren Adams. Have you ever tried Hugo by Boss? They have one for girls, but I tried it, but the scent wouldn't stay with me. What about you, Joey Lauren Adams? Have you ever done it? Have you ever tried to make like 100 hamburgers for the frying pan? It's Joey Lauren Adams. Thank you, Joey Lauren Adams. M1 Fast Brody. What's up, Mikey? What's going on? Okay, so I've done the Hugo Boss and I've done the Very Sexy or, you know, the Victoria's Secret. Both of those are pretty good. Yeah. But Pleasures, let's say louder. Slays. Oh, yeah, that is good. Really, dudes? Pleasures. It's called pleasures. For dudes. I'm not allowed to wear that to work. My fiance won't let me. Really? It was my... This is the weird thing of how weird I am with love. Writing it down. It was my summer when I moved to Chicago. My mom bought it for me for Christmas. And I moved to Chicago. I was 22. And I wore it the whole summer. Cleaned up. Do you think it had anything to do with the fact that you also are a handsome, tall guy? No. See, here's a thought for guys. I'm not, but, you know, I still can...
You could still slam. Pleasures by who? Estee Lauder. Oh, really? Did you work at Nordstrom or something and sold cologne? How do you know so much? GQ magazine. I was just going to say, guys should pick up like that or, I know it's a little weird, but like a Cosmo or like an Elle magazine. They don't have men stuff in there. Yes, they do. Not men cologne? Yeah. Do they? They put men cologne testers in there? Yeah. Probably because women are buying for their dukes. Because they want the women to buy it. I've been reading. But GQ is probably a better call. GQ is a good call because it's all men's stuff. And, dude, you'll find something. You'll be like, I got a hat. And I'll tell Jamie. I'll be like, you've got to get me this, you know, the John Varvatos. So I found that for three years. It's the best. Have you seen my cologne vault? No, you need to bring it in. I can't. Too big? Oh, yeah. Take a picture. I'll take a picture. You'll take a picture of your cologne vault. We're on the Mike Show fan page. Honey, if you're listening, open up that bottom right drawer and take a picture. Please. The vault. The vault. You guys, and then take a picture of the sink. Over, under. Over, under. Over, under. Eight. I'll take the over and I'll take 15. I'm going to say 22. Wait a minute. How does this work? That's a good guess. Pepper said what? I said eight, but I was giving people an over and under to work. Where are the white women at?
That's not what I wanted either. I hear. Sienna says 22. Yeah. That's what I wanted. Sienna says I have 22. How many do you say, Woods? 15. How many do you say, Lynn? Well, I guess I have to stick with what I said, eight. Jay? I'm going to go 30. Whoa. That's a good guess. This is all, this is like Price is Right. I really want to know right now. And I'll tell you, I'll tell you my picks because I've got every cologne. I love cologne. I do too. Do you switch it up or do you? Yeah, you got to. Yeah. Just depending on what mood you're feeling. I'm a winner in a summer right now. I like clean colognes. Yeah. Me too. Meaning, I like colognes that smell like you just got out of the shower. Yep. You'll really like the Versace one that I was talking about. Clean. Smells so good. The one that the bone just bought me is Yves Saint Laurent. Yeah. And it is delightful. You love it. Yeah, it does smell really good. It smells so good. So, here's my picks for the clean colognes. Polo Sport. It's a blue bottle. Played out. It is, but it smells like soap. It does smell like soap. Okay, that one. And if you go to Nordstrom right now, they have these multi... What do they call it if a guy or a girl could wear them? Bisexual? No. Unisex. Unisex. Bi-curious, I think is what it's called. I think those are called bi-curious, Mike. That creeps me out, though. Go to the bi-curious section. Just go to Nordstrom and say...
Hi, where's your bi-curious section? I'm bi-curious. What if you met a girl, though, Mike? Bisexual. What if you met a girl and she said, oh, I have that cologne. Wouldn't that creep you out? No, because they won't. It mixes with the hormones and the bit. What about CK1? Over it. That stuff smells like dirt. Wait, so let me tell you about these. Dolce and Gabbana scents. There's four of them. They're not named. They're numbered. Really, dude? Yeah. Do you have all four? No, I have two of them. Okay. Duh. I liked two of them. I liked number six, and I liked... I can't remember the other one. There's four of them, but you liked number six. Sorry, there's six of them. I'm sorry, you're right. There's six of them. Amy Winehouse, this song's called Valerie. What? I defy you to listen to this and not imagine that Gary Coleman is singing. Okay, let's hear it. I defy you. I defy you. Let's hear it. Try to listen to this. And not imagine that Arnold from Different Strokes. You're so right. Is singing it. Okay, get it. Much more Gary Coleman. Go to rehab so people know. That sounds like Diana Ross. All right. Try this one. You guys remember when we used to play commercials at certain times? I remember those days. Try this one then. Gary Coleman, 100%.
Yeah, I see that. You're listening. Arnold Drummond. Arnold Drummond. That's Arnold Drummond. Mr. D. That's Arnold Drummond. That is him. Part of the Mikey Show now. This is none. Right here goes out to all the best moms. Who is it? Outcast. My wife is taking photographs right now of Mike Long. Look at this. You think she woke up this morning and was like.
I'm going to wake up, hold all the kids, and take pictures of Mike's cologne. I do not. Go to the vault. I do not think that she woke up saying that, but it is, in fact, what she's doing. Do you think that she is pushing the little button down on the camera going, yeah, grow up, Pete. Yeah, Pete. I think she probably is. She is taking, because I'm a cologne hoarder, all right? I call it the cologne vault. The vault. The VOC. I have a drawer in my sink. And all it is is cologne. It's a VOC. Mikey's one of those people that you really want to be friends with because you get their leftovers. Everyone has that friend, and Mikey's one of them. The over-under was what? Well, it wasn't really an over-under. It was more of a Price is Right. Okay. We were just guessing. Closest to the number without going over is Pep at 8, Woods at 15, Sienna at 22, and Jay at 30. Winner gets a six-pack of CDs. There you go. Yeah, right. Isn't it just the closest to the number? Yeah, without going over. Why is that? Because that's Price is Right. That's how they do it. You can't go over. So we'll see. She's taking the pictures, which you're going to go, really? Really? Really? I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Woodsy is our sports guy. Pepper O'Brien is our assistant producer. We call her Pepper O'Brien. Her name's Lauren, but it's morphed into Pepper. It's Pepper.
It's not Pepper. It's Pepper. L-O-B. We call her Lauren L-O-B. People seem to like L-O-B. And P-O-B. No, people seem to like L-O-B. P-O-B. People are saying plenty of P-O-B. P-O-B. Are we going to talk about how she's wearing a tie-dye shirt today? Yeah. What's wrong with it? Are we going to talk about that? I thought she always does that. She's high as a kite and wearing tie-dye. Doesn't she always wear tie-dye? I think it's a brand new shirt. Is that new tie-dye? It is. All right. She's such a hippie. Off to a small, small rabbit hole. Can I tell you guys something? It's very small. Can I tell you? What? What, some people that were at the 94.9 house, no employees of ours, what they were doing? What? They were eating hemp butter. What's that? I met these girls. They were at our house with one of the bands. And I'm sitting downstairs. I'm blasting a cig. Weird. And this girl pulls out of her purse this thing, and it says moisturizer on it. And I go, hmm, that's interesting. Then she pulls out a bag of Triscuits. Then she spreads the moisturizer on the Triscuit and eats it. And I go, I go, whoa, whoa.
what? I go, what are you, is that lotion? You're putting lotion on Triscuit. She goes, she looks around, she goes, it's hemp butter. And I go, she goes, yeah, you can't fly with weed. So I made it into hemp butter and put it in a moisturizer. Gross. Weird. Gross. It was, you just talked me out of Coachella for the rest of my life. I want to say, I would have started crying. On Lauren's behalf is I think the tie-dye is making a comeback. Is it? I'm going to claim it right now. Yeah, it is. I'm sure it is. I'm ashamed I didn't make this myself. It is in Vermont. It's a big player in Vermont. I've seen more of it recently. Whatever. It never went out of style. It was never in style. It was always in style. It was in style for a while. Have you seen the 70s? I love it. Big player up in Burlington. 570-1949. I just enjoy Sienna saying, are we going to discuss Lauren's tie-dyed shirt? I mean, we're in the 8 o'clock hour already, right? Yeah, I know it. Listen, I thought she was always wearing tie-dye stuff. Do you or not? No, I don't. I thought you were going to call me out for sure. The only reason I didn't is because I thought you already do. I wear...
Live flowers and hemp gowns. Potato sacks. You're mistaking that for. No sandals, just bare feet. This is a true story. Lauren's purse is made out of kimonos. Recycled. Yes. Recycled kimonos. And tells you a little bit about her personality. She says, you know what? I will rock the kimono purse. Japanese women didn't hand over their kimonos very easily. That's right. That's right. Thank you. Would you guys like to do a little settle a bet? You know that. Surely. Why don't we do a little settle a bet? In fact, I even have this. Settle a bet. Settle a bet. Don't you want to talk to L-O-B? All right. Come on. Let's do this. Genius. L-O-B. L-O-B. Call us right now. 570-1949. And you're going to play settle a bet. What you're going to do is you're going to pick a horse. You're going to pick either. Sienna, Woods, or me. When he gets to play for yourself, you call in 570-1949. It's a very easy game to play. You're just going to listen to Lauren out on the streets. She's out on the streets and she's talking to people and asking them questions. And these questions are pretty common knowledge type questions. And let's see. Pretty common knowledge type of questions. And you have to wager on whether or not they're going to get it correct.
Okay, I have the total number of colognes. You have it. I got it. It's in. It's in. I'm nervous. Who's the winner? Review. Okay, say it again, what everyone chose. Mikey said he has a bolt of colognes, so we're guessing here. Pepper said eight. Wood said 15. Sienna said 22. Jay said 30. What is the closest without going over? Jay. Oh. And he didn't go over. Goodness. You have more than 30. Yeah, I've been collecting these colognes since I was in my early 20s. I'm 39 now. You know that they go stale. Yeah. The scents go stale. Do they? Yeah. Oh, oh my gosh. I want to see the picture. What? Do you have the picture? I have the picture. This is the bottom of the drawer. Okay, bottom of the drawer. Wait, one, two, three, four. Good Lord. Michael! My goodness. I see a little Issy Miyake back there. Oh my.
Old Spice. Old Spice. That's Creed. That's Old Spice. No, no, no. That's Scott Stack. He's just hanging out in the drawer. That's not the whole band. Is that an old cell phone? Not the whole band. That's an old cell phone. It looks like it, but it's actually a bottle. What's that doing in there? Keep going back. I can tell you what's more of these are. Oh, my God. That's Dolce & Gabbana. Yeah, it is. You have so many. How do you even remember? How many? Go back, go back, go back. That's probably Prada. Is that Prada? That is also Dolce & Gabbana, I think. It is. Do you think you're showing off right now? That's Issey Miyake back there. Angel for Men. Angel for Men. Forward it to Jay. Let's put it on the website because that's ridiculous. Okay, and then here's another one. This is my actual countertop. Those are the ones I don't use. These are the ones I use. God! What is wrong with you? I have mental issues. Is that Fahrenheit? Yeah. Mikey, do you love... Hey, 1987 called. It wants its cologne back. CK1! CK1! No, no, no. That's CKB. CKB. Love CKB. You just love to spend money. No, no, no. I'm telling you, I have a thing for colognes. This is an over-the-ear thing. Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. Polo Sport. Do you guys want to know how many? That's Johnny V right there. There's got to be over 100. No, no, no. That's not John Varvat. Oh, that's old John Varvat. Old John Varvat. There's over 50. 54. Oh.
I started collecting them when I was in my early 20s. They're not baseball cards, pal. I know it. Holy moly. I did not think it was going to be that bad. He's admiring them. You're over there admiring them. I like colognes. They're all lined up. I'm a hoarder of colognes. You are a hoarder. I'm a cologne hoarder. It's the truth. I like colognes. You know what it is? I'll tell you how mental it is. When I was in eighth grade, we moved to Gilroy. I had to take a bath in one of those tubs that had claws on it. Yeah. Do you know what I'm talking about? Yeah. They were invented in like 1904. Yeah. And I hated it because you're sitting in there bathing in your own filth. Yes. You know what I mean? And I was in eighth grade and some girl said, you smell. And like ever since then. Fanatic. Fanatic about smelling good. Yeah. I mean, like. Fanatical. Do you remember the girl's name? I don't, but I remember the girl that stood up for me. Oh. What was her name? She was really nice. She was Michelle Van Bailey. What'd she say? She was like, she didn't like stick up. You know what she did? I was new to school too, which made it even worse. You were nude at school? Yeah, I was nude. I was sitting there nude at school. Weird. I was new there and she was nice to me. You know, she was nice. Too French?
No, of course not. Oh. But that was, you know, so ever since then, mentally, I'm like. That would do it. I think it did it. That would do it. So now I'm a cologne hoarder. Can we put these online? Absolutely. Shoot them my way. People are going to. That's ridiculous. We need a nickname for you now. My wife wrote, get ready, 54. Ridiculous. She put 54, period. Ridiculous. How many does she have? Probably three. If that. If that. How about we call Mikey Pepe Le Pew? Nine times as many as I guessed, Michael. Pepe Le Pew. Pepe Le Pew. But now that's skunky, stinky. No. How about just Le Pew? Pepe Le Pew. How about PLP? PLP. It should be Pepe, though. But Pepe's too close. It should be Pepe. Pepe. All right, let's play this game. M1 Snowman. Yes. Who are you going to take? What's that? Who are you going to take? Deanna. You got it. Yes, Snowman. M1 Mason, who do you want? Mikey. You got it. Hang on the line. M1 Tammy. Which? Good choice. You know that. M1 Steve, you are going to play for yourself. Is that cool? Steve.
Steve. He's trying your colognes. Yeah, he is. Steve. What happened to Steve? All right, let's have somebody else call in. 570-1949 if you want to play for yourself. That is a lot of colognes. That's scarily. That's nine times as many as I guessed. Yeah. FYI. Oh, my goodness. It is. That would be 72. Nine times eight? 72. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Okay, we're on the radio for a reason, people. Hemp butter. Hey, Hemp Butter, that's your new nickname, Hemp Butter. I got like a 700 on my SATs for math, but I can't do nine times eight. Nine times eight, 72. I'm like, how many colognes do I have? She goes, tape dispenser. Yeah. Artwork. I'm an idiot. I don't know what's wrong with me today. Don't worry, none of us would have gotten it anyway either. M1 Medical? Yeah. You're going to play for yourself, okay? All right. You're going to play with yourself, M1 Medical. M1 Medical's back. All right, here we go. Medicaid. It's Medicaid. Oh, Medicaid. Medicaid. All right, here's your first. Here's the first question that was asked. Sorry. And, Sherry, are you from San Diego? No, I'm not. I am from San Diego. Medical? What do you do? Medicaid. I'm a goldsmith. Oh, that's interesting. Pause. Pause. A goldsmith?
Really? Is she really a goldsmith? Yeah. I've never heard that before. Does she work at Colonial Williamsburg? No. Like, seriously. Listen, go back to it. That's amazing. Yeah. Sorry. Can you maybe start from the beginning since we had Chatty Cathy? Yes. And, Sherry, are you from San Diego? No, I'm not. Where are you from? Actually, I was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. What do you do for a living? I'm a goldsmith. Oh, that's interesting. What does that mean? Well, I make, you know, I draw designs and create custom-made pieces for people. And do you have an education? I have never met a goldsmith. That's amazing. She is so composed. That is so cool. Yes. Yes, she's very calm. All I want to do is ask how you goldsmith. Yeah. That's all I want to know. I got more information. On how to goldsmith? Well, I got more information on exactly what that meant. And in her particular case, it's jewelry making. What a trip. She has a studio and everything. Mom! I want a goldsmith! Please, give me a goldsmith! You guys, how did you know what I was texting? Mom, this year in my stocking, will you put a goldsmith in here? I really want somebody to make me... I wanted my own goldsmith! My own custom jewelry! Put a goldsmith in my stocking! I want it! Alright, let's settle a bet. You from background? I do, I was an art historian. Any kids?
I have a son, eight years old. So, Sherry, the game is called Settle a Bet. The question is, on a standard traffic light, is green on the top or is green on the bottom? Can you settle a bet for me? Which is it, top or bottom? It's a good question. The correct answer is it's on the bottom. I would have got it wrong. No way. Oh, yeah. I would have said for sure it's on the top. Me too. The top is the most important, so that's red. It's red, yellow, green, you guys, right? Never knew. Really? You're smart, Woodsy. No, I'm not. I'm just human. Oh, really? Oh, really? Human. Let's start with me. I will say she will, if she's an older lady, I always say the older are wise. I say she gets it correct. Sienna. Of course she gets it. 100% she gets it. And finally. M1 medicated. Medicaid. Medicaid. Medicaid. Medicaid. It's on the bottom. So do you think she gets it right or wrong? She better get it right. She got it. Yeah, she'll get it. She'll get it right. Are you medicated right now? Yeah, I'm always medicated. I can tell. Let's hear the answer. Let's try again. Green is on the bottom. It is.
So she got it right? Yeah, you all guessed it right. We got right. You're okay. Oh, I thought I said no. No, you're okay, buddy. Oh, my goodness. I just got so stressed out. Hey, hoil it in. I got to hoil my craft. Hoil it in, pal. My goodness. You're okay. You got it. Good job. Let's try the next question. There we go. Sorry. My little machine, it's taking a while today. I'm having a rough day. No, you're not. And you're with? Here we go. Sam. And Sam, how old are you? 38. Do you live here in San Diego? Yes. How long have you lived here for? For 10 years. And what do you do for a living? I'm a lawyer. Do you consider yourself fairly good or knowledgeable on animals? Some way. As you hug your dog? Yes. What kind of dog do you have? A Boston Terrier. He's very cute. What are some other hobbies that you have? Sports in general. The game is called Settle a Bet. We have one friend that says that the giant panda is from Japan.
Another friend says that the giant panda is from China, so I just need you to settle a bet for me. Is it Japan or is it China? Correct answer is China. 100%. Let's begin with Sienna. Will he get it right or will he get it wrong? I'm going to say... I want to be different because I know you guys are going to say he gets it right. You don't have to be different. You're playing for your buddy to win. I'm going to say he gets it right. Woods? I'm going to say he gets it right. How about you, medic? Medicaid. Medicaid. Yeah, Medicaid. All right. I say he gets it right. I mean, he's a lawyer, so yeah. That was my thinking. I say he gets it right because he's a dog lover and an animal lover. So I'm going to guess that he's going to get it right. All four of us. Here is his answer. China. That is correct. All right. We're tied. We're tied. So you could potentially...
You could potentially just, everybody could win. That'd be nice. All right. Next question. Here we go. Sorry, I'm frustrated because it's taking so long. Here we go. And I am here with? Bill. Where are you from? I had to cut his last name off. Well, let's see. I'm 59, and I've lived there for 56 years. Where'd you spend those other three years? South America and the Caribbean. I'm a very lucky man. Don't big time me, buddy. South America and the Caribbean. My goodness. Yeah, I'm a cocaine smuggler. That's what I do. That's my line of work. Might not. Hands a business card over. Just says the words cocaine smuggler on it. I'm a builder. What kind of things? A builder of cocaine. Yes. Cocaine smuggling devices. Activities, sports, anything like that. Well, I love to play tennis. I love to play musical instruments. And I love to love my sweet fiance. I love to love to love you. I love you. It's very nice. Did you go to school? I did. Where did you go to school? I went to University of Virginia, Hampton, Sydney, and Old Dominion.
God, he's calm. He's calm. Everyone's very... Are you into yoga? 98.7 kids. Yeah. This is Bill. I used to run cocaine from Barbados to... Nobody wants... Okay, everyone thinks I'm going to come up and make fun of them and ask them these crazy questions. So nobody wants to be made fun of. Are they? Are they? Yes. And what did you study? I studied English, music, and philosophy. Okay, so the game is called Settle a Bet. Is there... Any percent chance that he gets it wrong? No. Hey, I'm Bill. I'm the smartest guy ever. She's going to go, what's the quantum portion of pie? And he's going to go. Six. You know that. Plebeian. Plebeian. On a woman's blouse, are the buttons on the right side or are the buttons on the left side? I need you to settle a bet for me. Is it on the right side or on the left side? I just found this out, by the way. I didn't even know the answer to this myself. The correct answer is they are on the left side. No. Yeah, it is. No. They're on the left. They're on the left. Yeah, that's a guy's shirt. This is a girl's shirt. It's a guy's shirt. Okay, did you buy it? That's a guy's shirt. Guys are on the right, girls are on the left. I think there's no wrong answer then.
Hey, that's Mossimo. That's a dude shirt. I got it from Target in the girls' section. I believe that it is a common thing that women's stuff is buttoned on the left. That that is a common deal. Maybe they tried to make that like guy's style. Could be. But I got it with the girls' section. You did? Yeah. Woods, let's start with you. Will he get it right? I will say he'll get it wrong. Let's see. Medicaid, what do you think? Well, he'll get it wrong, but the girls' buttons are on the right. They are. No. Yeah, they are. Ours are on the left. I'm looking at Mikey's shirt. They're on the right. The girls are on the right. They're on the left. They're on the left. I really want to go and get all of my blouses and show. The ladies' buttons are usually on the left, and the little loopies are on the right. I say he gets it correct. And we're going to say that the correct answer is on the left side. Right. Let's see what he says. Wait, I didn't give my answer. Sienna. I say that he gets it wrong. I said wrong. You said right. Let's see. You said wrong. What did he say? Right side. He got it wrong. He got it wrong. Are you kidding me? So everybody but Mikey wins. Oh, my. Of course. You're a winner. Medicaid. Hang in line. Apparently.
Singing with his guests is Larry King's new bit. It's not new. I've been doing it for 400 years. Yeah, the first time I did it was with King Tut. And Moses and I used to karaoke in Egypt. Yeah. So when we come back, you get to hear Larry King do a duet spontaneously with Willie Nelson. I can't wait. With Willie Nelson. I can't wait. He also asked Willie if Willie Twitters and if he smoked pot before the show. Amazing. Sienna is picking the music. Don't say anything. Don't say anything. Okay. Woods, what do you think of this? No, it's not bad. Pepper knows it. Look, listen. It's not bad. It's good, right? Because of Jason Castro or something? No. Adam Lambert. Adam Lambert. That's not bad. Different American Idol winner. No, he never won. Oh, he didn't even win? No, he's the runner-up. That's okay. I mean. This is my guilty pleasure. I like the music's pretty good. Yeah. But that voice slays me. I know. The voice is low. But that little riff was decent.
That was the one I said. That's the one I know. I knew it. Yeah, it's not bad. We'll come back with a Larry King sub next. Hang on. What do you want from me? This is The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. A small sedan went through a fence on its roof in a ditch. Another car in the center divider. They've got an ambulance on the scene. Five southbound ramp to J Street, a car that's blocking that off-ramp. And Chula Vista on the five northbound before. For E Street, an accident looks like two cars rear-ended each other. No, it's not that. The name of the band is slightly stupid. A little remix of Wise Men. That's right. It's just very crass, Michael. You know what I'm saying. So stupid. Let's see. So, yeah, Larry King apparently decides sometimes.
That he wants to sing with his guests. It's his new thing. It's his bit. It's his bit. So here he is doing it with Willie Nelson. Oh, my goodness. With this thing. It's a new computer. It's a new computer. Meltdown. Meltdown. He's going to scream. Does anybody have any... Ibuprofen. Ibuprofen. Tylenol. Vicodin. Vicodin. Bullets. Yeah. You haven't worked with, you want to work with. Let's sing one. Let's you and I do one. Want to do one? Yeah. Want to do Blue Skies? Yeah, we can do Blue Skies. Want me to start? Yeah. Love Willie so much. Blue Skies smiling at me. Nothing but blue skies do I see. Willie can't even sing it. Willie forgot the words. That was Larry. You know what I think is brilliant, though?
It was a little hard to tell if that was Willie Nelson. Yeah. Or Larry King. But in the beginning, it was like Larry King knew more of the words than Willie did. Than Willie did. Shining so bright, never saw things going so right. Love it. Working in the day, you worry at night. When you're in love, my how it flies. Weird, weird, weird. Stop it, stop it. I would love to see the visuals. It's making me weirded out. I need to see video. I know it. Are they holding hands, you think? Yes, I think they were holding hands and there was moonlight. Do you know that Jamie's grandmother used to date Willie Nelson? No way. How cool is that? They grew up in Abbott, Texas. Your wife's grandmother dated Willie Nelson. Sure did. How? Went on a date with him. Okay. Yeah, they grew up in Abbott. So you're like basically related to Willie Nelson. I'm pretty much like if you wanted to. I could have been almost pretty much related to Willie Nelson. We could call him right now. You're that close. Yeah, he's basically your grandfather. I would. He gives weed to pepper, so. What? One of our King's Things followers, we have a Twitter. Are you Twitter? No. I'm Willie Nelson. I don't Twitter. Of course, he tweets. No, he doesn't. I guarantee it. I say he does not. Dalai Lama Twitter. He tweets. I say that Dalai Lama does. Willie doesn't. Hundred. Conway Twitter? Conway Twitter.
About the same thing. Anyway. I say that's a no. That's a no. That's a no. He does not Twitter. He didn't need to. However, he does smoke a lot of weed. And Larry asked him about it here. Could you smoke like a few joints and go on stage and sing? Oh, sure. Really, Larry? Really? That's your question? Can you smoke a couple of joints and go on stage and sing? Can you roll a marijuana cigarette and smoke? He's asking Willie Nelson. I love it. I love that Willie's like. pot smoker of all time. Of course he can. That's what he does. That's his thing, right? But I have a huge tolerance for it that maybe everyone doesn't have. But yeah. You think? His tolerance is an eight pound joint. Like that's what it takes to get him high. An eight pound joint that you would put in a wheelbarrow and he'd have to sit Indian style and smoke it out of a wheelbarrow. On a ladder. Yeah. That's his tolerance level. It doesn't really. Do you smoke today? No, Larry. I decided to come clean for yourself. Yeah, today I decided out of the 87 years of my life, I decided today. I'm kind of interested, though. Do you want to smoke a cigarette? Did you smoke pot today, today, this day? Yeah. You did, before you came here? Yeah. So you, I'm potting you right now? Yeah. You could arrest me. Larry King is freaking me out.
Larry did get a little weird, didn't he? He's trying to harsh his mellow, dude. How old is Willie Nelson? 104. I'm just saying, I think it's interesting. He's that old, still getting high. I would. You guys do all know that Willie Nelson smokes a lot of marijuana. A lot of marijuana. Yeah, but still, he's just like... Always has. You thought that maybe on his 65th, he'd be like, you know what? I'm done. I'm done. Maybe. That guy's killing it. Don't we all grow up at some point? No. He literally is Peter Pan. Yeah, he is. Absolutely. I love him, though. He's a Texas treasure, dude. That's right. He's Peter Pan. That's right. His son is Luke Nelson? Rick Nelson? No. Is his son Sonny or Cher? Look, I thought Woods would know. He's from Texas. He's a music lover. Who is his son? I think it's Luke Nelson. What does he do? He's a musician. I've never heard of him. What is happening? I don't know. Mikey Buick. I need a DeLorean. I need a DeLorean. I'm so confused. Mikey's so mad at me. She's so spacey today. He's writing notes in his little black book. He's so mad.
I need to talk to Pepper after the show. He's like, what did I tell you about saying this? She didn't know. We have to talk about this. Remember when I said not to say things that weird me out, remember? And you were like, yeah, no problem. And I was like, oh my gosh, thank you so much. And you were like, yeah, no problem. I'll never do it again. It is so classic. You know what's weird? She doesn't do that off the air. No. Ever. No. She's very specific. She gets nervous. Is that what it is? Sometimes when I get nervous, you never get. Yeah. I stick my arms like this and I smell my fingers. Oh, like this. My goodness gracious. All right. I got some stuff for you. There is a guy claiming to be Oprah's long lost father and he wants a DNA test done. This is true. Which is funny because you never hear a paternity test to prove that someone's my daughter as an adult.
Because he wants money. Well, for sure. But how do you get money from your kid? You can't. Like you can't if you're the kid and you want it from the dad. He probably wants like a book deal or an interview or two. You guys are going to feel kind of bad. All right. He just wants her love. No, no. I'm going to feel awful. I'm going to feel awful. He wants her love. He needs a kidney. He wants her love. Kidney. He's 84 years old. Oh, no. He is in the hospital right now. And he says his dream is to talk to his daughter before he dies. Yeah. Well, why didn't he reach out? 40 years ago. He did. He reached out years ago and she didn't want anything to do with him. So now that he knows he's in the hospital and he's not doing well, he's trying again. And he told the New York Post this. I wonder, though. How do we know it's really her? They're going to do a paternity test. He said he wants to do a DNA test. Well...
My thought is also she probably has a reason she wants nothing to do with him. So just because he's 84 years old, we don't have to feel bad for him. Yeah, because it might not be his, Oprah might not be his kid. Yeah, he said that he, you know, he hasn't seen her since she was little. So he knew her when she was young. That was a long time ago. I could say. All right, Jay. That's my boy. I was going to say it, but I didn't want to get killed. Balleted. I could say that Edward James Olmos is my father. I could say it, and I could say, you know, before I go, I just want my dad. But this guy, okay, okay, okay. You guys, I'm trying to, like, be on his side a little bit right now. I mean, I totally see where you're coming from, but he's 84. He's in the hospital. He's on his deathbed, and he's saying he wants to do a DNA test. You think he's going to be on his deathbed trying to do this if it's not real? If he's, yeah, I'm not going to say it. I have a prediction. Go ahead, Woodsy. So it comes back and it's, let's say it comes back and it's her dad. Yep. Chances that she takes a whole film crew in to do the last goodbye hundred. She doesn't do stuff up close to her. That lady gives a nickel to a guy on the street. It's filmed. Trust me. No. There'll be a film crew in there. But it's not, that's her giving, not her inside life. You don't think that she would say, I wanted everyone to know.
She's Obama now? Yeah, she's Obama. I wanted everyone to know what it was like when I got to see my father. That's too personal. 100%. Too personal? Yeah, exactly. No way. She does the camera whenever she does good for people, but this isn't her doing good for others. This is something really personal to her. We'll see. And she keeps that kind of separate. I just want to know who, okay, because people that are... of that age and especially on their deathbed they say some kooky stuff so who was the person that took him seriously and was like that's it well and who did he call did he call the press right he spoke to the new york post but like i said call the post and go can you come down here i don't know i mean i'm sure how did that go down i'm oprah's daddy yeah i'm oprah's dad and i'd like a dna test done and i'd like you to do a story i don't know maybe say like hey I'm Michael Jackson. The nurse is like, yeah, you're Michael Jackson. Yeah, you are. So I wonder who was like, oh, we need to listen to this man. Yeah. But like I said, he reached out years ago, too. And she didn't want anything to do with him. So now, you know, people know who he is from reaching out before. And now he's like, look, my time is running up. I really just want to, like, talk to my daughter. I bet she films it. What is this deal about Robert De Niro thinking about doing a sequel to Taxi Driver?
Well, he was asked about it. And he said that there has been talks between he, Paul Schrader, who's the writer, and Martin Scorsese. He said, we've spoken about what would happen to Travis these years later. We had a thing and we tried to figure it out. Paul was trying to come up with something. Basically, it didn't seem to work what they were coming up with. But he says, it's not out of the picture. We're still kind of talking about it. We haven't gotten in the right direction. But all these years later, maybe we could. I thought Travis Bickle died at the end of the movie. Did he not? I thought he did. Did he go to jail? No. I thought he died. I thought he died. He said, I thought it would be interesting to find a way to bring Travis back all these years later. Weird. Come on. Maybe it was something ironic about where he'd end up as he did in the first one. That's so strange. We made a lot of smelling salts for that one. Yeah. Not only that, but you'd come up with other ideas, guys. Well, yeah, you put those three in a room and say, okay, maybe we don't bring them back from the dead. Maybe we create something else that's brilliant. Maybe we make another movie. Just make a badass original movie. Maybe we don't bring a guy that died back to life and try to make it work. Maybe there's just so many more dimensions of that character that they wanted to show and they want Robert De Niro to play him. But he's dead. You guys hear about the guy that posed as his brother during a traffic stop? What?
Yeah. It's kind of weird. This guy got pulled over in Minnesota and he's now in jail because when he got pulled over on... What was he pulled over for? Having a... suspended license or something like that. He was pulled over and because his license was suspended, he said, oh, I'm so-and-so and just says his twin's brother's information. And I guess he must have had his ID because he showed him identification and the guy was clearly like a lot heavier than he was. That's funny. And so it was like, this is you? I mean, it could have been him because they look alike, but he was just a chubbier version. So it led to a search that turned into a Ziploc bag being found containing methamphetamine. Oh, my gosh. Yes. Are you serious? He was also previously convicted on a drug charge, so he's now... What is that? I think it's Hoyle. Oh. Hoyle Knox now? Come on in, Hoyle. What was that? Hoyle. I'm sorry. I heard the story about the twins. Yeah. Is Mikey trying to work something in because his kids are twins or something? Is that what it is? No, it's the story of the news. It's just a news story, buddy.
One of his boys already caught doing methamphetamines? No, dude. They're three months, six months old. They're just learning to crawl. So sad. Just learning to crawl and already doing all those. No, they're not. That's just terrible. Mikey, you should be ashamed of yourself. That's inappropriate. That's not what the story was about. Woods? Yeah. Did you do Coachella? I did Coachella. You know that. Is that what I just listened to? Yeah. Were you listening to them? I was listening to your interviews. On FM949SD.com? That's right. That's a great way to plug that. I like the way you did that. Thank you. I think you did a good job. Thanks, man. That means a lot to me. You know, I was really nervous about it. But I also think there's a couple of things you can pick up about the art of the interview. Oh, yeah? That could probably help you out. Like, should I have asked those guys to go do stunts and stuff? I know what you're trying to do. You're trying to make some kind of a joke about me, weren't you? No, but like you wanted me to shoot me out of a cannon. Should I have asked MGMT to be shot out of a cannon over Coachella?
Yeah. Hey, I've got Hoyle's mom on the phone. What? Don't put her on. Hoyle. Don't put her on. Hoyle. Mama. Horatio. Mama. Horatio. Your name is Horatio. Wait a minute. What? What? Horatio. I told you don't call. You forgot your lunch this morning. Mama. Horatio, I see you guys. I see you took three Capri Suns and five fake Newtons for breakfast, and you know better than that. Thank you. Mama, you're on my phone. You're using up my minutes. Wait, Mom, what's your name, Mama? Oh, my name's Peggy Sue. Don't say your name. Peggy Sue and Horatio. She said Peggy Sue. Peggy Sue and Horatio Hanratty. These Lunchables. Why don't you bring your Lunchables with you? Boy, what are you, Seven? You know what? Maybe if I'd seen a dang Lunchable, I would have brought them with me, Mama. Why didn't you put them up? You didn't put a post-it note up for me. What are you, Mikey? I know. What's that? What am I, a doggone fortune teller? I can't figure it out around here. I ain't like Mikey, but I do need a little. Hey, darling. You a grown man? I did. I done sewn up the end scene of your dockers for you that you split while you was bowling last week. I noticed that you did that.
What a nice mom. And you let them out a bit, too, didn't you? Now they're all loosey-goosey on me. You know I like a tighter fit. What's the matter with you? Y'all. Mama. His pants were so tight. Shut it. Don't. Mama. He'd have blown his boots off. I didn't hear that. Mama. She said it. His pants were so tight that if he had farted, he'd have blown his boots off. He'd have blown his boots right off. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. Mama. Peggy Sue, I like you. Don't call me at work. You know I'm busier than a stump full of ants. Oh, please. I swear, you're about as sharp as a cue ball there. Is that right? Don't give it the honk. Hey, tell you something, boy. What? Next time you're going to use the rest of my denture cream to make your toy planes, you best refill it, son. Mama. Oh, my God. Make toys, those are model airplanes, and you know it. How many times do I have to tell you that? Are you learning so much right now? I'll tell y'all something else. He had a bunch of youngsters screaming from inside the TV during his hoodoo game. So I turned that darn thing off. What? Did you turn off my halo? Halo. I didn't save the game, Mom. Turn it off.
It's going to take me all night to get back to where I was. It's too late. Hold on. Who's talking smack anyway? Was it B-Bow Boy 27? I don't know who it was. Well, look on there, Mom. It's on the screen. It's... She turned it off, Hoyle. Don't turn off the game. Mama! Mama! Hoyle, relax. Mama! You're a grown man. You're like 56 years old. I am 56. My mother is 70. Now, let me tell you something. Wait, your mom had you real. Yeah, she's 13. I'm trying to do math. She's 14. 14, yeah. Mama! Mama. Headache's gone. Just in case, I'll go ahead and crush some aspirin into your applesauce for you. Oh, my God. You're like a child. Oh, my gosh. At this point in the day, you are my only headache, Mama. But, yes, please crush that in applesauce. That's the way I like it. I know. I have a question. Do I feed your bunny carrots or celery?
Well, you have a bunny. Mama. Did you get it for Easter? Are you embarrassed? It's carrots, mom, and spinach. What's your bunny's name? Oh, I always forget. My bunny's name is Sandy. And the reason is because when I first got her, I had sand in my britches. Mama. Why are you telling us that? I spoke with Aunt Evelyn last night. She said you never got a thank you card. Whatever. She never got no thank you card for the t-shirt she sent you. Whatever. Now, you're going to need to write those thank you cards tonight. Do you hear me? You tell her she can hold her horses, Dagnabbit. Those t-shirts weren't even that great, and the tag inches my neck, and I hate them. I got sensitive skin, and I don't want any part of them. One more thing, son. What? I got a reminder in the mail. We need to get your teeth cleaned. So you be home early next Wednesday. You hear that? Hey, Mr. Woods. You're killing my mojo. You mark that in Horatio's calendar because he always forgets. I will. I will. Put a little smiley face. I'll put a little smiley. Mama, how am I supposed to get busy with hot blondes if you keep calling like that? Oh, you know you ain't getting busy with nobody. I get busy with hot blondes. How does she know the number? Except those Barbie dolls you got.
Hang up. Okay, I love you. Really nice to meet you, Peggy Sue. Talk to you, Peggy. Call anytime. Yeah, please call more. I had to hang up on her. Hoyle, you have a bunny. Hoyle, okay, let's run this down. Jay, why did you let her through? As your mother. Yeah, well, she can't come on the air, man. You didn't tell me that. I can't get busy with the hot blondes like the rap song goes. I can't get busy with my hot blondes. Maybe you move out. Hey, what are you, 56? Move out, dude. Get your own place. No, that's 50 Cent. No, you're 56. I'm 50 Cent. You're not 50 Cent. I'm just like him. He's just like him. I don't think he lives with his mom. If she calls again... I'll put her right through. No! Yes. I love Hoyle's mom. That's Peggy Sue. He is like a child. He really is. He's playing Halo all night. She turned his game off. Hoyle probably knows the words to this song. Is that Kid Cutie? Yeah, Kid Cutie. Kid Cutie. I thought it was Cutie all this time. I'm sure you did.
This song's called Day and Night. I have a crazy news article. Why don't you guess what percentage of men would give up sex for booze? Zero. Okay. Oh, no, there's got to be some. Okay. We'll see. I like this jam. You do? Yeah. Wow. It's not bad. Kid Cudi? Yes. I love rap. I love rap. You do? Yeah. Write that down. I love rap. I love rap. I love rap. I love rap and rap music. Rap is really, really phenomenal. Rap is great. I love rap. It was like... I'm more of a gangster rapper myself. I am too. I like gangster rap. You guys hear about the cat that went missing in New Mexico and turned up almost a year later when I tell you where this cat turned up. When I tell you where. He does, for no apparent reason, they go to do a drug deal and he's trying to make you tense. He's trying to make you tense during the drug deal. It worked. That is so tense. So for no apparent reason, he's got a guy. He's got this Loatian kid named Cosmo. Chinese. Chinese guy in the living room for no reason, just lighting firecrackers. Lighting black cat. Oh my God. And Jesse's girl's playing. And every time I hear it, I'm like... Do you know anyone named Jesse or someone who's dated a Jesse and had that, their song in their ringtone? No, but oddly enough, I knew a Chinese guy that used to throw off firefighters in the living room for no apparent reason. You know that that song, Jesse's Girl, has what is widely regarded the worst line in a song ever. What? I want to tell her that I love her, but the point is probably moot. What's wrong with that? It's probably the worst line in the history of lyrics ever. What's wrong with that? Moot means it's like a futile point. I was an English major. I know what moot means, but you don't use it in a rock and roll song. I agree. I want to tell her that I love her, but the point is probably moot. I think it's cool. Oh, Lauren. I go, come on, bro. Why don't you keep reworking the line? Yeah, yeah. Figure something else rhymes with cute, right? Right. Shoot. Parachute.
Flute? I mean, if you're Rick Springfield's girlfriend and he's running ideas past you, don't you go, I don't know. It's kind of like what we do with our wives with bits. Hey, honey, this is really funny. They look at us and they just go, mm-hmm. Sometimes my wife will just get that squint on her face and she'll go, mm-mm. What if you were Rick Springfield's friend named Jesse? Maybe he runs it by you and you're like, wait a second. Yeah. Wait. You want a taste of my girl? Trying to get a piece. A piece. Yeah. How does he feel about it? Okay. So before we went to break, I said percentage of men that would give up sex for booze. Zero. It's greater than zero. Any guesses here? One. It's more. Ten. More than ten. What? What is it? Thirteen. No way. Cat just ran in here. What was that? There's a cat in here. Mikey, it's okay. It's okay, buddy. It's still a good show. He's trying to hit buttons and it's not working. Buck up, little camper. It's okay. Nothing's working. Nothing's working today. What was that? I'm just going to hit buttons. Just hit, yeah. I'll just start hitting stuff. Genius. And Sean were here. This never would have happened. Never would have happened. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays. Do you think? Do you think?
Maybe I do. Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays. I want to punch that girl. You just want to hit her. That's so bad. Percentage of men that would give up sex for booze is? 13%. Wow. No way. 13%? Yes. I know what's interesting about that is that last week we were talking about the New York Yankees. And we said, Woods, what would you give up in order to play in the World Series for the Yankees and win a ring? Play a whole year, every game. What did you say? Anything. I said, would he be celibate? Did I say that? I don't know if I said celibate. I said I would never booze again. No. Absolutely. Not a drop. He said he would never. Did I say celibate? You did. I don't know. My wife's probably not very pleased about that, but hey, I got a World Series rank. He said he would never slay again. Slay, yeah, that's the exact word he used. And what? If I walked in here and I had a Samsonite bag full of crisp just from the press, $100 bills wrapped in the paper that said hundreds, and it equaled $20,000, would you take that?
Or playing in the World Series for the Yankees and winning? Playing in the World Series for the Yankees and winning. $100,000. I bring in another Samsonite. $100,000. Playing for the Yankees in the World Series and winning. 100%. Be a million dollars. No, I wouldn't do it. I'd take the Yankees. Really? A million in cash? I get to play 162 games plus the playoffs and play well and win the World Series. Yeah, I'm taking the Yankees. A representative from Bank of America walks in. I want you to think of this as real. Not rhetorical. This is real. A representative from Bank of America walks in here. They have a notary with them. And on the phone is Donald Trump. And he says, I'm going to wire $2 million to your account right now. I'd take the $2 million probably. You would take the $2 million? I could live off the interest of the $2 million for the rest of my life very comfortably. Very comfortably. So that's your price.
$2 million. $2 million is probably my prize. I have a list of more things guys would give up. Give them. Okay. Don't look at the list, cheater. Cheater. 30% of men would give up sex for, and I don't really believe this one, but it says romance. Oh, shit. Yeah. Are you kidding? That's what a woman would give up. That's what a woman would give up. Yeah. A woman. No, no, that says. That's what a man would. And this is from limelife.com. 30% of men would give up sex for romance. Isn't the whole point of romance so that you guys can have sex? They must be doing it wrong. Well, here's the thing. You know, I don't want to give up. You can't give me something I would give up with that with my wife. No way. Are you kidding? 27% of men would give up sex for a BMW. Weirdos. You liars. That's ridiculous. I don't believe them. I don't believe it either. 10% of men would give up sex for a 50-inch high-def TV. They're not thinking about it. Mikey. I bet you they're being presented. They're like. Options. Here's the BMW. Just say it. You think? Just say you'll give up. Mikey, I'm going to get to one and you're going to be on it. I bet they did. Yeah.
I bet they did do that. Stand in front of the BMW. Do you think it would make a difference if somebody was actually presenting it to you? Right. No? Not for a beamer or romance. Heck yeah. Heck yeah. Lauren, you'd never slay again for a beamer. No, no, no. These are men. I'm just saying these men. These men. That are like drooling over a BMW that have been like dreaming about having it. They're like dangling the keys in front of their face. Just the word, it's yours. Just say the word. You'll give up sex. Weird, creepy, but I bet that's probably it, right? I don't know. What else? 10% of men would give up sex for Facebook. What? Come on. What does that mean? In other words, they have to make a choice. They say you either have to give up Facebook or sex. Mikey, I'm going to get to yours where you're going to have a problem. Really? Well, I'm telling you, that's probably 10% of men that aren't having sex. So to them, they're like, eh, it's a wash. No problem. 9% of men would give up sex for their cell phone. Wow. 9% of men would give up sex for bacon. Can I just tell you? Wow. You know how there are some women who have an affinity for chocolate? And you hear about that. Like, their thing is chocolate. Guys don't have it. Women do. Well, that's the next one. Chocolate? Yep. Okay, so chocolate is a thing for women. Did you know that bacon is a thing for guys? I'm not surprised. Some guys. They make bacon-flavored cologne. Yeah? But they do say, medically, they do say when women eat chocolate, it...
Produces the same chemical reaction. That love does. Love making will produce. Love making. Is it? I thought it was love. It might be love. Yeah. Well, it produces a chemical that is very similar. Lauren, lovemaking makes me feel really uncomfortable. If you're going to call it something, just call it sex. Slaying. Slaying. Call it slaying. Not slaying. Let's keep it classy, dude. No lovemaking. Intimacy. It's men and women being intimate. Obsession. I hate that word. Obsession. 8% of men would give up sex for chocolate. Who's that guy? Yeah. I'm not making this stuff up. Adam Lambert just walked by that guy and went, gay. Gay. The last one, Mikey. I'm a little nervous. Laptop. Laptop. Laptop. 7% of men would give up sex with their laptop. It's one or the other. One or the other. M1 Chris says, this list is killing and slaying. Right, Chris? No, I mean, this survey is taken from a group of eunuchs. I mean, seriously. Either that or like, you know, this young metro sexual trend or something.
I think you're right, Mikey. They're not thinking it through. These guys think like for two weeks or something. It's a bunch of dudes sitting around their computer playing Halo going, that's fine with us. Hoyle's like, take it. I don't care. I'm more than happy to cut off my beanbag. Yeah, seriously. Sorry, over the top there. Thank you, Chris. You guys kind of sounded like Garrett. He did. I'll cut my beanbag off. There's the list for you. Back in Detroit, we didn't have beanbags. My day just left my body. It just left my body. And I watched it float into the air. Yes, you did. I saw that. Bye-bye day. I am wildly inappropriate today. She is off her rocker today. She had sugar. Let me tell you. It's true. I love when she's like this. Is that what it is? It's because she has sugar. She's not used to it. I just looked at her. She had crazy eyes. She just looked at me right now and she was like. Look at her. I had yum yum. High on sugar every day.
It's my favorite. My goodness. Jamie will call me and be like, did Lauren have some donuts this morning? Because she was very, she was hysterical. I know, it's my favorite. Talk about the cat? Oh yeah, I didn't tell you about the cat. Cat left New Mexico. A year later turned up. Yeah, eight months later to be exact. Where? But Charles the cat left New Mexico, disappeared, and was found. Roaming the streets of Chicago. That is insane. I don't believe that the cat walked there. Was he microchipped? He was microchipped. They know it was him. An official said if he walked the whole way, his paws don't show it. He didn't. The owner did say Charles loves riding in cars. Really? Yeah. So maybe he hitchhiked. Isn't that a movie with Winona Ryder? No. Riding in cars with cats is not the name of the movie. You're thinking of Milo and Otis. It's got Drew Barrymore in it. It's called Riding in Cars with Cats. It's called Riding in Cars with Boys. It's really great. Michael, it's called Riding in Cars with Boys. It's crazy. Imagine those summer past, autumn past, winter past. I wonder if it got on a train. No, somebody...
All aboard. A little hobo cat. A little hobo cat. Is that it? Yeah. I wonder if it got on a train with a stick and a little bandana tied to the end of the stick with all of its belongings in it, you know? And then hopped on the train. I think she likes a chihuahua. One little ball. He's hitching around. I'm saying they get in the crazy place. Lauren. Yeah. Yeah. Cute little cat. When my wife moves here, I can't wait until I get it. But I have a harmonica. I'm bringing it in. The cat made it 1,300 miles, though. It's pretty nuts. That's cool. Somebody found it, probably, right? And moved to Chicago. They don't know. And then found wandering the streets. I picture John Voight in Midnight Express sitting on that train. This summer.
John Voight and a cat travel from New Mexico all the way to Chicago. Get at me. Oh, my God. Hail the cab. Oh, that's good. You see a cat on the back of a motorcycle. A leather jacket. Flippin' in a bird. We have officially derailed. Sugar train. He did a little sidecar of the motorcycle. Thank you, Yum Yum Donuts. Thank you, Yum Yum Donuts. I will take you every morning. That slayed me. I picture the cat in the sidecar. Scarf blowing in the wind. Goggles? Yeah.
While Simon and Garfunkel... Cat runs into the church. He's like... Cat on the handlebars of a bike. The back of a cop car. Cat's flying a plane. A biplane. A Red Baron biplane. You know that 3D TV we were talking about that everybody thought that I would want to get? Of course, you'll have one. Somewhere you'll have it. I'm telling you, man. Your kids will make you get one soon. Some things I'm in on, some things I'm out on. 3D TV. You loved Alice in Wonderland, though. Really? Oh, my God. Awful. It was the worst. It was the worst. Those 3D TVs are making people sick. Or they can, right? Yeah. Samsung has just released a health warning telling everyone the dangers of watching the 3D television. Apparently, they're...
They're making warnings specifically to pregnant women, the elderly, children, and those suffering from serious medical conditions. People with epilepsy, probably. Vertigo, probably. Yeah, man. Of course. It's going to give you, it's got the strobe effect. Yeah. So it says that the side effects can be confusion, nausea. Convulsions. Nauseousness. Nauseousness. Convulsions, altered vision, lightheadedness, dizziness, and involuntary movements such as eye or muscle twitching and cramps. Here's me playing any video game. Really? Yeah. I got sick after Avatar. Mike, you really? Oh, yeah. Can I have your PS3 then? Well, I could play certain games. Just let me have it. The Monopoly on Xbox. Just let me have it. It's awful. Jamie's like, no, don't let him have it. Any of those games that move around? Yeah, I agree. Absolutely. You want to know which airlines are vowing not to charge you for your carry-on? Yes, please. Who we got? We have, well, Spirit Airlines, we announced about two weeks ago. They were the ones that brought this issue. Yeah, that's when we thought you were making up the name. Nobody ever has flown that airline ever. Well, apparently people have, and they...
They're the ones that started this. We're going to start charging for carry-on items. Southwest doesn't, right? No, no, no. Southwest doesn't charge at all. But five have come forward and said, we will not be charging for carry-ons because people are panicking. And they are American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue, United, and U.S. Airways. They say they will not. Will not be charging for the carry-ons. Good. Good. Unless your carry-on happens to be a very small Yorkie in which you will pay $250. It's a dog. Isn't that shocking? Your little Yorkies are $250? And they fit in a bag just like a carry-on. But yet I still have to pay. Jamie had to pay like $250. Wow. For one? Or all four? For two. My goodness. Isn't that insane? And they fit in one little bag. Yeah, but they just find a way to kill you. They're a liability, though. They bark and they bark. No, they're not. Well, they are. That's why we as passengers, I mean, we pay. They don't come out of the bag. They don't have their own seat. You're going to pay $2.50. Give them a seat. I don't know that your dogs won't come out of the bag. I think the airline doesn't know. You can say they won't. They don't. And I'll go, okay, great. Dude, it's zipped up. They could pee all over the carpet. Motion sickness. You know what that can cause. It's zipped up? They're zipped up inside a bag? Yes. There's like an air vent. Oh, really? There's special dog purses. So if I'm paying that, shouldn't they have their own seat? They're in a bag that's zipped up. They're in a bag that's zipped up. But they could.
defecate on the carpets. They can't. They're in a bag. It could go through the bag. It's not going through the bag. It's a leather bag. You defecate through leather. No, no, no. But what if they did and other passengers noticed? Or if some guy got hammered and spilled Bloody Mary all over my pants like that happened before. I think the chances of the dog doing that in the bag are greater than that. Zero. Really? Zero. No way. Our dogs get scared. My dogs don't. They sit there. But you know that about your dogs. The airline doesn't. So I still got to pay $250 for my dog. It's a lot. It's a lot. It is a lot. How about just a deposit in case they do it? In case they do it. Jay, that would be lovely. That's a great idea. And here is your money back. I'm going to get on there. I got the airline on the line right now. I'll take care of it. We thank you very kindly. That's brilliant. What about the guy in Memphis that apparently stole the little hot sauce? Is that the deal? Oh, yeah. There's a guy in Memphis. He didn't steal it. He didn't feast it on it. Well, he kind of did. This guy in Memphis broke into a house on Saturday. The owner came home about 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon, found that his door had been pried open, went inside, noticed that some things were missing, and then noticed that some genius...
broke bottles of hot sauce against the wall. So he's like, what the heck? Is there someone in my house? He's looking around. He sees a guy run through the backyard, follows the guy, and sees him at the gas station, calls the cops because he notices that there's hot sauce all over the robber's clothes. Right. Good move. Genius. I wonder what that 911 call would have sounded like. What's your emergency? Yeah, my emergency, it's pretty urgent. He's drinking it down by the gallon, and now I'm following him out through the backyard. Ma'am, don't follow him. Don't be a hero. I'm not a hero. You read every day about some hero trying to, you know, foil crime. You're not Catwoman. I'm not trying to foil anybody's crime. I am just a homeowner, sir. Hey, dick!
Over here. Give me that hot sauce. Let me talk to this guy, and please go in the other room, lock yourself in the bathroom. Okay, here he is. Here he is. Uh-huh. Yeah, who is this? Oh, this is Elvis Presley. Oh, this is Elvis. Uh-huh. Wow. What can I do for you? Do you think that you're Elvis Presley? I know that I'm Elvis. Wow. Are you Elvis, or are you... Trying to be Eddie Murphy imitating Elvis, because I've seen Eddie Murphy raw, too. I can do it also. Ready? We've got to win this race. See, I'm Elvis, too. Well, you're nothing better than me. Hey, Elvis, you want some lemonade? Lemonade. That cool, refreshing drink. I stole some hot sauce. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Hello? Stop singing to me like you're Elvis. You're not Elvis. I'm sending like five officers down there to arrest you right now just for that terrible Elvis impersonation. That's one of the worst I've ever heard.
I got to run, buddy. Okay. Take care, buddy. We'll be sending an officer down right now. Bye-bye. Wow. Wow. What's going on in this? Hello. Hello. Wow, Sienna. Wow. Sienna's picking the music. It's a good one. It's a great entry. It's good. Listen, it's still amazing. It's such a good song. I'm going to warn you before Sienna even reads this that this came from women. Glamour magazine, actually.
Women have come up with five signs that us dudes are not over our ex. She keeps calling at 2 a.m. I can't wait to Z-snap on all these. Oh, God. Yeah. Yeah. Let's see. Okay. He wasted no time before jumping into his next relationship. Men do that. Why is that a get? I'll tell you why. We don't like to be alone. You know what? Here's the thing. I remember one time having a conversation on the air. It was a very heated conversation about if a spouse were to pass away, that there's this appropriate amount of time that needs to go by before somebody starts to date. I agree with that. You do? I think it's different with every person. I think every person. Some people don't like to be alone. And if that's the way that they deal with it, that's the way that they deal with it. Some people are relationship people. Some people are those people that, like you said, don't want to be alone and jump from. I'm that guy. But if Jamie died, it would take me years. It would take you years? Years. Years. But we're talking about, we're talking about exes, like spouses. We're not usually talking about, yeah, we're talking about dating. And I don't know. I don't know. But I know that for everybody it's different. Dating's different, I think. And death is different than breaking up. Yeah, we're not really talking about death either. See, and I don't know. I mean, what do I know? Not much. That's true.
But seriously, I don't know. I mean, in this situation, dating, you break up, you get back. Some people don't like being alone. They like to date. I know, but. It doesn't mean they're not over their ex. To go on dates like the next week? Like that's okay? No, I think that's a bad idea. But I don't think that it's indicative of not being over your ex. Well, these are just signs. What about one night stands? Some people have like back burners lined up. You know what I mean? Like, they won't even do a breakup unless they've, like, someone that's kind of on the doubt about someone, they won't break up unless they're like, well, you have to have someone lined up. Every time I've ever broken up with someone, we always end up getting back together at some point. So I feel like if I went to that back burner person, like, it's done, you know? Yeah, exactly. What, that you're... Like, if you hook up with someone, even when you're on a break, I don't know, like, I just... Then it's officially over. Yep. How different is it for men and women? Way different. A hundred percent. Like a girl goes, if you, if you kiss a girl. Yeah. Well, we're broken up. We're done. First of all, you're a monster. Yeah, I thought we were broken up already, though. Yeah. No, that's not my point. Yeah, but do you love me? Yeah, I love you. Well, then why would you ever kiss a girl if we're broken up? Because we just decided to take some time off. Oh, really? Well, if you loved me.
I love you. You would not kiss a girl until we got back together. Yeah, you're just psychotic. I do love you. You're just psychotic. We need the clip of Ross from Friends going, We were on a break! Women and men are so different about it. I see where you guys are coming from. If you're on a break, it's a fair game. My thing for me is hooking up with someone else means that you're done. And for me, that's hard. I don't want to hook up with anyone until I'm ready. Agreed. If you have a job and you quit your job, How is it that the job is going to say to you, you got another job? That's not the same bit. How did you get another job? You were supposed to stay unemployed. Michael, you need a job to sustain yourself. You can't live in this society without a job. You don't need a mate. Great call. She got me. Yeah, she did. I got to think about it, though. It's optional. Okay. Hooking up with somebody is optional. It's not, you don't need it to live. All right, so if the girl does the break, hey, we're going to take a break. Fair game, pal. Yeah, exactly. You fire up the Harley, go make it right. Not according to the girl. Oh, I know. You do. Okay, go ahead and do that. Right. But if you want to get, if you think even the tiniest percent, you may get back together, you're not going to. Come on, you broke up with me. Yeah. Can I ask them? You're done. What? If you're broken up.
This is what I don't understand about women. This is as real a question as it gets. You're broken up. You're no longer committed to one another. The whole point of being together is that you're committed to one another. Okay, I've talked about this ex-relationship that I had where there was an ellipsis, you know? What is it? Speak English. It means dot, dot, dot. It's not like period, we're done. Okay. Maybe we should take a break. Let's take a break. Let's figure this out. Maybe we should just... Okay, good. I'm going to go slay her while I'm waiting for you to get off your break. But I... Okay, so we had... Because I am a man. And I found out that this man who I was on a break with went and slayed his business elsewhere. Right. And was this man in a committed relationship with you at the time? Because that's called cheating. We were on a break. That's cheating. That's why when I always talk about being cheated on, I put it in quotes. So you've never actually been cheated on? No. Look at her. Never. She's never been cheated on. But we were on a break. Yeah, it is. Because you get back together under the assumption that like, okay, well we... You know how that works? What? It works if you say this. Listen, we're no longer committed. However...
We are agreeing that we will not see other people, which never happens. You know why it doesn't happen? Because I think that women, I just figured this out. It just happened in my brain right now. Because women go, I'm going to see what you do. I'm going to see what you do. I'm also going to see maybe if I find a little upgrade out there myself. Maybe I go make that right. Maybe I go make that right. And if she does it, then she comes right back to you. Yeah, exactly. I thought the deal is that they don't, though. But they want to test. Oh, they do. The difference in this situation, Michael, was the guy took a break from me and didn't talk about wanting to slay other women. There was other reasons involved. But he went and slayed a dragon. And, yeah. No, I agree with her. I mean, there's. Different levels. Like, if we're broken up, go ahead. Slay whoever you want. But you ain't getting no more of this. But if he's saying, look, like, I need, like, a little bit of a break. Like, you know, I just need to clear my head. There's a lot going on. Like, if he says something like that, like, you can't hook up with other people. There's a little bit of a break. This isn't we're broken up. Question. So if he is the one that initiates the break and he goes and slays, he's a monster. I can maybe agree with that. Okay. Okay. I agree. I agree. He slays the dragon. I agree with that. But wait.
But if a woman initiates the break, which... She can't go slay. No, no, no. Can he? He can. Yeah. Oh, he can? Yeah. Yeah. Because we were the one that did it. It was your call. Yeah. Okay, so if it's your call, he can do whatever? He can do it, yeah. Thanks for letting the tiger out of the cage, sweetheart. Let's walk through it. I'm sorry. I'm going to call a little... And if he initiates it... I'm calling. I wish we had an actual flag that I could throw and blow a whistle and throw a flag because I don't... think that that is correct why i want you guys to think about this right now and i want all you ladies listening right now and the two women in the studio to imagine that you say to your fella i think you know because maybe just things aren't going right and you say maybe we should just take a break like women do women do that and while on said break he slayed and you found out about it you're telling me you would be like hey listen it's fair it's fair No, it just depends. She calls it getting cheated on. It depends. Why do we have to find out about it? You're an idiot if you find out about it. All I'm saying is it ain't okay. You ladies would flip. Flip out. It depends on why she broke. Okay, why she called the break. If she was just like, I just don't know. I don't know if I'm into you. That kind of means like she wants to go slay as well. He can slay all day if she says that. But if she's like, I don't know what a good reason would be.
Because there aren't any. I don't know. I just found out that you're an alcoholic. I didn't know that about you. I didn't know that about you. You're passed out in the kitchen with a bottle of wine spilled all over the floor. Maybe they're just dating and he does it on his own time. Or he hides it really well. She caught him lying or something like that. It's like, look, I don't know if I can get over this. I need a little bit of break to think about it. If he goes and slays, you are done, my friend. You are done. You are out of my life. Get out of my face. G.I.T. G.I.T. You're on probation, sir. I have more signs for you. More signs he isn't over his ex. He fell for you before his relationship ended. I don't think that's necessarily he's not over his ex. I think it's just don't get a relationship with that person. I don't buy it, dude. Bro. Bro. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Never mind. Just hit the button. Do you want me to? No. Not that button. Why? I don't know. You said it. I thought you said something dirty. Did you hit it? Oh, no. I almost did. I thought he said something dirty and I missed it. No. I haven't been dumped in weeks. I know. Okay. When it comes to his ex, he only deals with the extremes. So if his ex comes up and he's like, oh, gosh, she's disgusting. Oh, she's just a liar. You know, bad stuff. Or, oh, no, it was really nice. Yeah, no, it was a good, you know, I don't know. Just the two extremes.
It's only one example. Or he talks about her all the time. Yeah, well, yeah, that's an obvious one. But if he is extreme in his hatred for her, he still loves her. Yeah. No doubt about it. If every time you bring her up, he's like, oh, she's awful. She's just such a jerk. Dude, you're jumping up and down a little too much. Like, you know what I mean? Hey, man, I've said those things about some girls before and meant every word. Well, there are some of those girls. You know somebody I dated years ago, right? Right, right, right. But you're consistent. You know what I mean? Like, you're consistent no matter what the situation. You're kind of always extreme. Always. That's your personality. So it would be hard to tell with you. And you, it's not right after the relationship. It would really freak you guys out if I was like, she's a lovely person. Things just didn't happen to work out. In our favor, you'd be like, where the hell's Woods? Yeah, where'd Woods go? Another reason he's not over his ex is he cannot break the string. Now, they give two examples of the only reasons it's okay to keep in contact with them is that if you have kids or if you were together for a long, long, long time and there's history and family and, you know. I have one that I keep in contact with. And by keep in contact, I mean talk to via email maybe twice a year. My college girlfriend. That's it. And it's, hey, how are your kids? Look great. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I kept in contact with one for a long time and that court is cut.
Good for you. Now that I'm a married woman? I got every cord cut. It feels good to cut the cords. How's Perfectville over there? Is it great? Perfectville. Yeah, it's great. Breathe the air. So weak. Last one. He obsesses over the remnants of the relationship. Like, you know, you catch him checking her Facebook. Or there's a picture hidden somewhere. You forgot one. What? He still wears her skin. Oh, yeah. His backpack. That's what it's made out of. Why am I so interested in the eight dating mistakes that even smart women make? Why? Why? Why? I don't know. You don't have to date it ever again. Why? But you want to know. I want to know. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. I can put down a 20 pack of chicken nuggets. No problem. Lauren. I have a very keen sense of smell. Sienna. Todd and I went to downtown Atlanta Prospect. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. Does that just scare you, Woods? Yes. Oh, yeah. Dude, this is the good version, bro. Oh, Imogene Heath. I saw her at Coachella the other night. Incredible. Hide and seek. This is your boy Jason Derulo. Kited this from her. I know. I heard this on a movie with Zach Braff, the last song. Yeah. And I was like, what is this song? And I went and found it. It's good, dude. Let it roll for a minute. Honey. Autotune. I know, but honey. Yeah, you know the Jason Derulo song, What'd You Say? Yeah. He thought it was the original. He got it from her.
No, it says M-A-G-E. I know. How can you not love that? I love it, man. They were at Coachella. Yeah, sorry. I just said that. I love them. Welcome to the show. Welcome to the show, Jay. I have 94.9. 94.9. Blackie show. M1 Ryan? Yes. What were you calling to say? I was just commenting about the cheating thing. I heard somebody saying that, you know, once a cheater, always a cheater. I said it. I'm sorry. No, no, I'm just curious. I'm like, you really think it's something you can't come back from ever? I don't know. Well, my thing is, in that particular example, it was someone who is getting into a relationship with someone new while he's in another relationship. So it's not exactly. Does that make sense? So Mikey and I are dating and I start dating Woods at the same time. Woods knows I have a boyfriend.
But he still is with me. I would say don't be with me because I'm cheating on my boyfriend right now to be with you. It's not a good start to a relationship. But the way I've always kind of looked at it isn't really, you know, unless you're married or in a serious deal. Like date. Okay, so like I have a friend, Bark Malman. He dates. He dates girls. And he tells them, listen, I'm not going to get anything serious with you. And I'm going to date other people. And I think code these days date equals sleep with. Because that's kind of his thing. He's like, listen, I'm not going to get tied down. I'm not going to get settled down. You know, like Mike. Hey, Mike, you ever cheat on a girlfriend? Would you ever cheat on Rebecca? No. Exactly. But I changed. Exactly. So once a cheater, not always a cheater. Right. But I would have advised her to not get involved with me. Sure. When I was a cheater. Absolutely. Had I been her friend, I would have said, don't get involved with that guy. You know why? Because he's a cheater. People probably did tell her that. Yeah, they probably did. And they would have been right. Yeah. The only reason that she ever married me is because I changed. Yeah. If somebody changes, great. But. Why on earth would you make the choice if you have a choice? Nobody's putting a gun to your head. If you have a choice, why on earth would you ever make the choice to choose it if you can choose? Because every girl doesn't do that. Every guy doesn't do that. Every guy is not going to be the guy that has a girlfriend and you're.
And you start dating him while he has a girlfriend. That's not every guy. No. A lot of times you meet someone who's not in a relationship and it's a great start. Right. But and that's what I'm saying. Like not every dude does it. No way. And so if the dude is like if you have a choice and you go, OK, I met this guy. He's really cool. He's got a girlfriend. No. No. You say no. And the reason that you say no is because if he did it to her, he could do it to you. Yeah. And if you have a choice, you go, OK. And then there's this guy and he doesn't. Have a girlfriend. I'll choose that one. And I do agree with the M1. I'm sure he was calling to say that once a cheater, always a cheater isn't true. And I don't mean to say that because I don't want to categorize anyone in one particular category. But just from the experiences I've seen, like the guys that do cheat, usually it's a lot harder for them to not cheat. But some people do change, just like you and like Jay. People that reform or have a good reason to reform or... have admitted their wrongdoing and know that they don't want to do that again, I think are probably less likely to cheat again. Yeah. Well, and the other thing that we've said, we've talked about it before and I just go, well, what are the tangible changes that you see? If you see a tangible change in somebody, then you know, okay, we're good to go. That's what I, I mean, hey, listen, Rebecca tell you the same thing. She says, I wasn't the right person for you. Right. I was kind of a mess too.
And so, you know, I mean, we both changed. If they changed, okay, cool. I don't know the name. Let's see. M1. Jessie. Jessie. M1. Jessie, are you there? Yes, I am. Hi. What were you calling to say? Well, you guys are talking about the mistakes that smart women make and not being over their exes. My boyfriend and I have been together three years. We'll live together three years. We're in our 30s. We moved here like cross country together. I mean, the whole nine. And but he'll never get married. I will never, ever be his wife. Really? He was married when he was 19 or 20 for two and a half years. And it ended. Are you happy? Are you cool with that? You like you don't want to get married and have kids either, right?
Well, I mean, we, you know, we're in our 30s. I have an 8-year-old little girl, and he's fabulous with her. But, no, honestly, I never thought I wanted to get married until he came around. And, yeah, I would love to get married. So, no, it's a huge quandary because when you hear him talk about other couples, you know, I'll be like, well, doesn't that dude have a girlfriend? You know, if he's talking about somebody's, you know, macking on some chick in a bar from work or something, you know, and I'll be like, doesn't that guy have a girlfriend? He'll be like, no, dude, he has a wife. Okay, so you've just told me that there's two different levels in your head. Yeah, for sure. That means a lot more. Like, in his head, he's like, no, he's married. He's not just cheating on his girlfriend. He's cheating on his wife. Yeah, it's a sacred position. Wow. And yet, you know, a couple weeks ago, I almost ended it over it. I'm like, you know, I don't know what to tell you. Because I'm not trying to give you an ultimatum. And he's like, well, it's feeling like that. And I said, well, but the opposite of that is I have an ultimatum. Why not? Why not give him an ultimatum? Well, I have the ultimatum of either deal with what you're willing to give. Hang on, Jessie, Jessie. I'm going to let you into Guy Town. Yeah. I'm going to fill you in on Guy Town. Okay. Guys are going to get irritated with me. I'm already irritated. You didn't even say anything. So many people relate to her right now. I mean, in my relationship, it was the same.
Put him in the hot seat. Throw the ultimatum down. You know why guys have control over you, ladies? Because they know that you believe that to put them in an ultimatum is fill in the negative word here. They know that. I don't like the ultimatum. I'll walk. Great. You know what? You're not the right guy. No, you won't. I will. Listen. If you love that girl. I'm dumb enough to. You know me. I would do something out of spite for the rest of my life. You'll come around. You'll miss her, dude. Your heart is too gigantic. You'll miss her. Will you not miss her? He's willing to do that, though, for pride. For a little. Yeah, listen. Pride is good. Hang on. Let me say this. On a guy, pride's good for about, and I'm talking if this dude's strong. Pride's good for about a month. Maybe. Maybe a month. Maybe. But here's the deal, man. Really, I say two weeks. In that guy's case, why isn't he entitled to have his own opinion? I mean, listen, he tried marriage. And in his mind, is it a logical conclusion that just because his first marriage failed, his second was, it's not logical at all. But he is entitled to that right. He's absolutely entitled to that. Absolutely, 100%. And so is she. So is she. She could walk. Now, the deal is, is that.
That doesn't fit into her plan. She should walk. She should walk. She should walk. I agree. I did. You did. When I was with Todd, I did because he didn't want to because he had been married before. That's a weak bit. He already had a daughter, you know. And I was just like, I knew. I'm a certain exception, though. Like, I knew I want kids. I want marriage. There's no exception. And I was with him for years. That's a weak bit to be like, well, I tried it once. Oh, yeah, exactly. Like, okay, that would be like. Well, I slept with a girl one time and got my heart broken, so I'm never going to sleep with another girl again. Why are we in a relationship then? If you had a failed relationship, oh, I'm sorry, you didn't tell me. I didn't understand this. You've had a failed relationship? I don't know anything about that. Never had that myself. Just know to always put yourself first. You're not married now. You're not necessarily we yet. Yeah. Just put yourself first. If it's something that you want, you need to go after it and get it. And just from my experience, like, we didn't talk for months because of it. I thought we were done. You got to be strong, though. And during those months, like, something hit him. And when he came back to me, it was like, oh, another person. Oh, yeah. Like, the changes Mike was just talking about, he went through them. That's awesome. And it was awesome. I was sitting in front of a Verizon store. I just got shamed, by the way. I'm in. And I buy back in. I'm shamed. You're right. I'm wrong.
I love you. I just did. Because I thought about it. I go, you know, if Jamie tried to get hard ass with me and gave me the ultimatum, I'd be like, and I'd run and stay at Mike's house. And then you'd go back. And then I'd be like. Because you love her. You're right. I'm sorry. You'd freak out. Guys, here's the deal. Sorry. So Rebecca says to me, we were dating, and you know her, man. Oh, yeah. Pride. I mean, that girl is like, she's nails. When she would break up with me, I would leave the, you know. stalker messages after a week. I'd be like, come on, call me back, please. And she was nailed. She would not break, man. How do they do it? I don't know, but she wouldn't call back. How do they do it? They're heartless. I know. Are you heartless? Are you heartless? How could you do this to me? I love you. Just hammered? Yeah. Just hammered. Will you just please call me? Because I love you. And then the mean.
I can't even stand you. I hate you, man. I'm so glad you did this. I know. Now I know. Now I know. Now I know. I know now. Thanks a lot. Thank you. You missed out on this. And then the next message. It's your loss. It's my loss. It's my loss. I'm sorry. I'm an idiot. Why are you acting like this? Why are you doing this to us? Why are you doing this to us? We could have been so beautiful together. Just always remember to go after what you want. That's the bottom line. It's your life. Until you get married. So I'm sitting in front of the Verizon store. I'm having a conversation with her. And she says, she says, I think we should probably talk about our relationship. And I knew that this was a conversation we were going to have. This is when? Oh, man. Years ago. Yeah, years ago. Not like Sunday. No, we've been dating six years. We've been dating six years. Wow. And she goes. You know, I am not getting any younger. Yep. Oh, boy. Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock, tick tock. And I remember getting so, you know, I was mad. Mm-hmm. Because I told you, anger, I believe anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. Yeah. All right. And I got scared. And so all I had to do was live with that a little bit. Yep. And I knew her nature. I knew that if she said, okay, we're done, I knew there was no, like, I'd never get her back. Yep.
I knew that. I knew it would not. And so all I had to do was ponder life without her. And I was like, okay, yeah. That's all you have to do. Hi, Hillary. Hi, guys. Hey, I got one word for you, Hillary. I know what it's going to be. You know what it is. I know what it is. Rick Shaw. Did you guys, did he tell the Rick Shaw story? Isn't that two words? No, it's one word. What is it? I didn't know if it was like the name of a guy. No, not Rick Shaw. Rick Shaw. Rick Shaw. Me, Hillary, and her husband riding in a human. Powered rickshaw. Come on. It's a pedicab. Pedicab. No, I call it a rickshaw. So that's like, what, 500 pounds of people, 600 pounds, and the woman. You know, I uploaded my pictures. I have a picture of her. Somehow I took a picture of her. She has huge calves.
No. She was probably a little bit cracked out. Probably like in her 50s and maybe 100 pounds soaking wet. We paid her $70 to go about 600 yards. She's driving us through the mud. It's like muddy and bumpy and we're kind of wasted. You guys were. I had like four beers. I had like four beers. I did. That's all I had. I had like four beers all night. People walking are passing us. People walking are passing us and she's got a horn. You would like this. She had a little horn. I literally had a little horn all day. I did. And we were. Exactly. But that wasn't enough for me. I was doing the generally like just yelling. She was yelling. Yeah. She was yelling this as we were driving. At everyone. Yeah. At everyone. Where is it? How's that working out for you? She's yelling at it, people. That's fantastic. Classic. Yeah, it was a nightmare. We each gave her a $20 and didn't realize we had each given her a $20. We gave her $70 for about $600. Oh, wow. It was rough. But bless her heart, she was working so hard, and we were like...
screaming at the side, heckling at everyone. We went past. They were her worst nightmare. That's fantastic. Did you guys get pictures? My husband and I, yes. I heard you broadcast yesterday. I noticed your voice is a little scratched. I was a little shocked. It came back early, dude. Willpower. That's right. I was real good. I was a good boy. Hillary's up next. Hillary, what do you got? I'm going to do some Coachella highlights. Some of my personal ones. Dead Weather, Them Crooked Vulture, Spoon. It'll be good. Sweet. Lovely and talented Hillary up next. The Mikey Show will be back tomorrow morning at 6. We're out late. The music all day and night. FM 94.9. The music.
