Mikey announces another Meet & Greet will be announced today. A hard drive throws LOB off her game. Sienna’s sea lion story is next. Jay is a man’s man, welding and cutting deep underwater. Mikey’s brother didn’t quite put up with Jared Leto’s vegan lecture. Woods rips Padre fans for their lack of support. Funny audio of a wrong number bail bonds call from chick that was kicked out of court for what it said on her tee shirt is next. Sienna’s cantaloupe skeeves Mike out. A worst healthy food in America sees Jay admiring Woodsy’s man breasts. Mikey and Woods’ hilarious Al Pacino phone interview is next, but Mikey loses a bet about Pacino and Deniro appearing together in Godfather II and has to eat cantaloupe as a result. The Incorporator has Wolfgang step in and slay a flower shop. Sienna’s disappointing penguin hunt includes audio of her 911 call! Next up is an email from a M1 who went to wife’s high school reunion only to find out his firstborn son is named after an assclown she dated as a sophomore. A ton of M1’s weigh in on this topic. Jay’s son and his teenaged posse showed up at the same restaurant the cast was at and Jay then tells about finding a pack of smokes in his son’s car. Sleep deprivation is bad for you, Sienna reports. Topper went around the world in a hot air balloon, and then he tells more stories full of hot air. Bad family vacations stories follow. Pepper was mistaken for her brother’s girlfriend at the mall. According to Woods, if you think those new Dominoes Pizza commercials are real you need to grow up Pete! Sick child tips leads to snotty talk. Breaking news on the original “LT” is pretty disturbing. Things not to say at work follows, and Hilary airs her theory on Brett Michaels.

The show opened with a feel‑good sea‑lion rescue story, then shifted to serious news as the crew dissected the motives behind the Times Square bombing attempt and the latest BP oil‑leak containment effort. Light‑hearted segments followed, including a vegan lecture from Jared Leto, the surprise that Tim Tebow’s jersey tops NFL sales, and the goofy “Incorporator” game where Woodsy shoehorns odd words into a flower‑shop call. The program wrapped up with personal‑topic debates—listener Zach’s baby‑name controversy, a sleep‑deprivation health warning, and the shocking arrest of Lawrence Taylor—while sprinkling in regular plugs for meet‑and‑greets, golf charity events and Mother’s Day gifts.
What happened, in order
Sea Lion Pup T2
A underweight, dehydrated sea lion pup nicknamed T2 wanders onto Ocean Beach streets, is rescued from under a police car and taken to SeaWorld for rehabilitation.
Times Square Bomber Motive
The hosts debate whether the failed Times Square bomber aimed to expose security flaws rather than actually cause mass harm.
BP Oil Containment Chamber
Discussion of a 98‑ton chamber being lowered to the Gulf oil leak to capture oil, with jokes about how such a massive object can float.
Jared Leto Vegan Confrontation
Mikey’s brother gets lectured by Jared Leto for ordering a steak while Leto and his band are vegan, leading to a humorous showdown.
Tim Tebow’s Top‑Selling Jersey
The crew reveals that rookie quarterback Tim Tebow’s jersey is currently the NFL’s number‑one seller, surprising everyone.
The Incorporator Challenge
Woodsy must awkwardly work random words like “intimate” and “xylophone” into a live phone call to a flower shop without raising suspicion.
Penguin Cookie Quest
Sienna hunts a British candy store for the elusive “penguin” cookies, comes up empty, and settles for chocolate chip cookies instead.
Zach Naming Dilemma
A listener emails that his three‑year‑old son shares the name of his wife’s high‑school boyfriend, sparking a debate about naming kids after exes.
Lack of Sleep Health Risks
Sienna cites a study showing less than six hours of sleep raises early‑death risk by 12% and links to diabetes, obesity, hypertension and high cholesterol.
LT Arrested for Rape
Former NFL star Lawrence Taylor is taken into custody on a third‑degree rape charge involving a 15‑year‑old runaway, prompting shock and discussion.

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. It's The Mikey Show. I'm really confused with days this week. I really was. I woke up this morning and I thought, today's Thursday. I can't believe it. Yeah. I can't believe it. So you're not confused. It is Thursday. Yeah. It happened very fast, it seems like. It did. Welcome to the program. If you want to, you can call us. 570-1949 is our number. And today is a big day because we're announcing another meet and greet today. We can announce this. Yeah. Is that mic okay? It's great for me, pal. Is it because that one's right next to it? Oh, that's why. That's what it is. There we go. Oh, now it sounds normal. Sound better? Yeah. I have a new intro for us. What is it? Welcome to the meat locker. Really? Yeah, it's butt cold in here. I'm like hot and sweating. What's he?
Woodsy's very, I'm very heat sensitive. You're very cold sensitive. Yeah. If it gets too warm for me, I freak out if it gets too cold for you. I have icicles in my new mustache. Really? Mm-hmm. I like that new stache, by the way. Do you? I actually do. Listen. I look like a creepy purge. I know that you're not down with your mustache, but this is M1 May mustache. Mandatory mustache. M1 mandatory mustache May. Hysterical. That's a lot. I'm so in on that. Yeah. And so it's awesome. But anyway, we're going to be announcing our next meet and greet this morning at 730. We should do a mustache contest at the meet and greet. 100%. I'm totally down with that. 100%. Guys, grow a mustache. Girl, get your guy to grow a mustache. We'll hook you up with something awesome. Girls grow a mustache. See what you can do. Yeah. I want to see chicks show up with them, too. You don't want to see that. You don't? It's a little scary. All right. Welcome. It's a Mikey show. And it was nice weather yesterday. I hope it keeps going. I don't think it is. I bet you're right. I don't think it is. Not as long as Woods is living here. Dude, right? And the June gloom, I mean, it hasn't even hit yet, you know? I know. Bummer. Can't wait for this thing. I keep hearing about. 5-7-0. It better be nice when we golf next week. We're golfing on Thursday. Better be.
We're golfing on Thursday, and we're doing that out at the Riverwalk Golf Club. And if you want, you can golf with us. You just got to bid on it because all the money is going to Rady Children's Hospital ADI. So go to MikeyShow.com, bid on that. Get out and golf with us next Thursday. It's going to be great. Man, such big stuff in the news today. And we are loaded for bear today in terms of all the material that we have. We got so much stuff on the show today. I'm looking at our schedule going, I don't know if we could fit all of the material that we have today. Our number, call us, 570-1949. Just call up and say hi, whatever's on your mind, whatever you want to talk about. You could do that, and you can also text 949mikey at gmail.com. Give us a call. What? I don't know what's going on with LB. Because Bootsy's laughing at her, which means that she's my guest. This is how well I know my crew now. My guess is that she's tripping out on something and it's making you laugh, right? Nothing's staying where it's supposed to. Everything's falling. She's dropping stuff. Lauren has a very peculiar, special, everywhere has a space on her desk. It's true. And nothing is in its right place right now. She's losing her mind. I think it's because of this external hard drive is throwing me off. I've got like a nervous tick now. Is it a new external hard drive that's next to you? No, no, it's not. I mean, it's not here every day. I'm just doing some housekeeping right now.
It's not usually there. She keeps looking at it. Like, why is that here? I don't like this. Even though I put it there. It's a battle with L.O.B. because I'm the exact same way she is. And so if things aren't where they normally are supposed to go, I'm the same way. Watching YouTube meltdown, like when you don't have your pens or like Mikey doesn't have his robes or something. Whatever. His crown. His slippers. His slippers. His diamond earrings. I don't have my diamond earrings. You guys wear my diamond earrings. Borrow mine, Mike. Let's bring the velvet robe in. So, all right, let's get to it. Five people on the Mikey Show, myself, Woods, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. And there's all kinds of stuff happening. Like the front page of the Union Tribune today is a sea lion pup that was wandering the streets of Ocean Beach yesterday. If you guys haven't seen it, look at the picture. Was he panhandling? Whoa. Oh, my gosh. Isn't that adorable? Angel. It's a picture of a cop beating.
It looks like a cop. It's actually a guy from SeaWorld or an animal guy doing it. He's tasering him. He is nice. He's gently pulling him out from underneath a cop car. What happened? Well, this little sea lion pup. I want a sea lion pup now. I know they're cute. Mom! I want a sea lion pup! Who doesn't want one, you guys? I do. Well, it's just... It scooted up from the beach of OB and went onto the streets, Newport Avenue, just checking out the shops, you know, doing a little shopping. That's not normal. It was early yesterday morning, around 4 a.m. He was sighted crossing the street. Oh, my gosh. I know. He's so tiny. So someone who saw him called the cops. They came and checked it out, and he was underneath the car. And then when the cops pulled up, he scooted underneath the cop car, and he hung out under there for hours. Really? I guess, yeah. He's... Almost a year old, they're estimating, and he weighs about 20 to 25 pounds, which a normal weight for a sea lion pup that age is about 60 pounds. Oh, wow. You're so teeny.
So they said that he's a little underweight and dehydrated, but he's uninjured and they're taking him to SeaWorld right now. Going to nurse him back to health and then bring him back out to the wild. Well, it concerns me because that's not what they normally do. Yeah. And so that concerns me because, you know, when whales go into the... To the bay, they're not supposed to do that. They do that because something's a matter with them. Yeah, I mean, normally they go up onto the beach, but they say that sometimes people will call that there's a sea lion in their backyard if they live right by the beach. But it was, yeah, it's not normal for them to go that far away. And then the guy's name, the little guy, I don't like his name. They named him. Who named him? The people. People. People of San Diego. People of SeaWorld. They named him T2. T2, that's cute. Why? What does that mean? It should be like Furby. T2, what does that mean? Tower 2. He was found across the street from Tower 2. He's T2. That makes me think of like the Terminator, T2. It's like a robot, not a cute little sea lion pup.
Tattoo's little brother. Well, he is little. He's about the same size, same color. He's brown. He's brown. If you haven't seen this picture on the cover of the UT, though, you have to look at it because the little sea lion pup is looking right at the camera. He's so cute. He's so cute. Well, that's in the cover of the UT today. Let's see what else is going on. The Times Square bomber. They think that dude did not have help. No, yeah. Officials said yesterday that they think the 30-year-old's now not a suspect anymore since he's admitted to it, but they think that he was working alone when he... did the whole car bombing on Saturday night. And he's actually been cooperating a lot with investigators. He said that he did a dry run three days before to find the exact spot he wanted to leave the car and everything. No, he wasn't very good at it. No. Thankfully for us. He even said when he was on the plane, when they found him Monday night, he said in his mind he was thinking, oh, you must be NYPD or FBI. He knew he wasn't going to make it.
Well, it's like good news that he was acting alone. Yeah. Like, okay. Well, so far. Have you guys seen the photograph of him in his car that looks like it's like a MySpace picture? It's him in his car with sunglasses on. Have you seen that? It probably is a MySpace picture. Is he shirtless taking his picture with his cell phone in the mirror? Seriously, dude? That's what it kind of reminds me of. I'm like, he looks like every guy that you would expect to see in a bar with... Yeah, look. He's got his Bluetooth on. He has a little one right there. He's got his Bluetooth on, sunglasses. Yeah, a little Bluetooth. Absolutely. Doesn't he look like, you're like, either that or he's the lost member of Color Me Bed. 100%. Pencil thin beard. Well, it's not like the cops are like, can you give me a couple pictures of yourself that you have handy? They're like, you can pick your three that you want, you know. He's Ray-Bans. He kind of looks like the kid a little bit. No, he does not. The father's more brown. He doesn't. Wow. He does. Let's see. What's the latest with the oil leak? Oh, man.
Well, British Petroleum said yesterday that they began transporting a huge metal containment chamber, which is going to the site of the oil leak right along the coast of Louisiana. It's a 98-ton chamber, and it's designed to contain the oil and channel it to a drilling ship on the surface. So if all goes well, it could be installed and begin capturing oil next Monday, May 10th. I hope that National Geographic is out there with high-definition TVs documenting how this is done because that's right up my alley. And here's the other thing I want to know. About this 98-ton container. Chamber. Chamber. Yeah. It's obviously hollow inside, so they could stick it over the pipe or whatever. Uh-huh. So when they put it in the water upside down, you got a big 98-ton chamber of air. It'd be hard. Does anybody get what I'm saying? I'm sure maybe it's sealed off on the bottom. It's like a bubble. No, I would think it'd have to have a hole in the top of it. No, it can't. Answer me this. How does 196,000 pounds float? I would think like a boat that weighs a billion tons. It floats because it's got air inside of it. That's why I'm wondering about this thing. I'm like, how'd they sink it? Yeah, it has to go down miles. I'm sure it's got a relief valve on the top so that when they get it in there, they can connect a pipe to it. Right? Yeah.
That must be the deal. They want to pump that oil out. Oh, I would watch that. Bro, in a heartbeat. I would watch a documentary of that process. They should have it. I would watch it on the news. Yeah. I bet they do. And it's miles deep? Mm-hmm. It says, yeah. Mile deep waters. Isn't that the creepiest thing? That's miles. How creepy is it? It's like, what's down there? The inky bottom of the ocean. Ice cold. Ice cold. Inky. Like that. Just inky black. Stuff just swimming around you. Stuff that you don't know. Yeah, you don't know what it is. Fish that have never been discovered. You just know that there's stuff around you. It's amazing. Would you ever go down in one of those pods? Well, you sleep in a pod. Well, I pretend you sleep in a pod. Yeah, like a little submarine pod. Did you really? I was a commercial diver. How far down did you go? I think it was about 290. Probably as the deepest I ever went down. 290 feet? Yeah, 290 feet. It was just plenty deep. But it was in a tube. I had to go head first to grab this tool that got dropped down in there. It got smaller and smaller and smaller until I finally got down there. Wouldn't your ears be popping? I would get nosebleeds and my ears would... But you just worked down there. Just claustrophobic? I was never claustrophobic because if you were, you could not do it because it was always closing in on you all the time. Jay, that...
is the scariest thing. There's so much more scary. Welding underwater and cutting underwater, it was the worst year of my life. You were a cutter? I like to weld underwater too. I don't know what 290 feet is. I have no concept. Take your swimming pool, multiply it by 29. Your swimming pool is probably like 8 feet deep. Maybe more. It hurts to dive down to 8 feet with my ears. My ears pop at 10 feet. This is uncomfortable. My wife and I went to the Caribbean one time when we were snorkeling, and I went down like five feet, and I was like, owie, owie, ow. I tell you, when we were snorkeling in Barbados, there was a shipwrecked ship, and all my buddies were swimming down to it and touching it, and I go, well, I'm going to do it. I got like halfway there, and I came back up, and I go, did you get it? I go, yeah, I got it. Of course I did. You come up for air. Yeah, I touched it. That was creepy. Yeah, you're like, man, that was the most spectacular thing I think I've seen ever. Right up close, too. Amazing. Another quick update on the oil leak. Just so you know, the oil slick has not reached the shore. A lot of people are concerned about that. How? How has it not? Well, crews have continued to do the protective booms. Really? Yeah, to try to prevent it. M1 Sleepyhead. Hey, you guys are talking about the bombing or the attempted bombing in New York City? Yeah.
I got something to say about that. Now, this guy, if he was actually intending to blow up a bomb, which he didn't do well, like you said. He was obviously terrible at it. I don't know if that was his actual purpose in it. I think he wanted to show the terrorists who are watching on CNN and across the world in their caves that they can drive up and blow up a bomb in the middle of New York. Manhattan. New York. Just, like, blow it up. Right. I think national security should be really careful and like really, really watching for this kind of stuff because obviously it's a threat and it could happen. Okay, but I'm failing to see what your point is. My point is that he was actually successful in his mission. I don't think his mission was to actually blow this thing up. I think it was to show that there's like obvious security problems with, you know, American, you know.
Like, watch us drive this thing in the middle of Times Square. I don't think we can give him enough credit for that. I think he just didn't execute it the way that... I don't want to say that he should have, because no one should be doing that, but I don't think it came to fruition the way it was in his head. He went to Afghanistan, and he was training in Afghanistan in bomb-making. Pakistan. Pakistan in bomb-making. I don't think he spent all that time in his little bomb-making class, bomb-making 101, so that he could come back here and try to prove a point. I like to show us all how awful our security is, which, by the way, I don't think it is. I think it's fantastic. I think that he intended to hurt people, and he was a dodo bird that didn't get it right. And we were really great. 52 hours to be able to figure out. where that dude was, which I think is amazing, I think we did a great job. You know the only reason I see his point, though, is this guy's all cooperative now. Like, he is... And he was waiting for them to get him. When have you ever heard of them going, yeah, I knew you guys were going to come get me. Because he's scared. I got a theory, yeah. Is he? So he's the first terrorist that's scared ever. My theory is that he got shaken by that whole...
A plane. Turn the plane around. Remember yesterday when I was describing what goes through the human body when you're turning the plane around on the one way to go back to the gate? Yeah. And his heart's going... And I think he's obviously not the professional type. Right. You know what I mean? He thought he was. He thought he was, but he got scared. And he was like... Got all scaredy. Dummies. I even got on... They're looking for me right now and they don't even know. I'm on a plane. Yeah. You know, I think what Sleepyhead is also saying, too, is let's not get super excited yet about, you know... I mean, yeah, we foiled the crime, but let's not break our arms patting ourselves on the back just yet. Yeah. I'm not patting myself on the back. I'm going to pat. Oh, me too. Me too, dude. I think it's great. You're not patting yourself on the back? Yeah, I'm not patting myself as an American on the back and going, wow, we're great. Don't sell yourself short. You did a great job.
You did a great job, pal. Can I say something else to kind of like put some people's minds at ease about certain things? Because remember how this guy, Faisal is his name, he was on the no-fly list and he still managed to get on a plane. Well, now there's a new requirement. Airlines will have to check their passenger manifest within two hours of being notified of a special circumstance regarding a person that's been added to the no-fly list. Yeah, so they're going to try to crack down a little bit because that was pretty crazy that he was able to get on the plane. How about this? Your name's on a no-fly list. Everything's computers. And if your name is on the no-fly list, you cross-reference your name with people that book their flights and magically a red flag pops up. It's not that hard to do. I like it. They can flag you for a warrant for speeding tickets, but, you know. I agree. Make it right. The Nashville thing creeps me out more and more and more and more every day. I know it. The Nashville story gets scarier and scarier. Flood in Nashville. Downtown Nashville was...
They were showing all the flood damage on television. Country Music Hall of Fame experienced the flood. The stadium where the Titans play. I mean, everywhere. If you haven't seen that aerial shot, the aerial shot of Titan Stadium, and it looks like a, I don't know, $80 million swimming pool. Yeah. This is from the Cumberland River overflowing. Yeah. It looks like Venice. It said that... It was about, the Cumberland River was about 13 feet above flood stage yesterday. Unbelievable. Were there levees? I don't think so. It was just flooded. I think, were there? Did you hear that there were levees? I was pretty sure of that, that the levees had passed. Did I just say levee? Yeah. Levee, easy fancy. Levees, right? I don't know if it was necessarily levees, but I was pretty sure that some sort of containment device. 13 feet over. There's not much you can do. Well, Mayor Carl Dean was speaking out. This report is brought to you by Tri-City Medical Center. Learn about Tri-City. Mayor Carl, he did not say that. No, he didn't. He did speak out and he said that this is so nuts. The flood damage, they're estimating about more than a billion dollars damage. That's insane. I know. He did say the worst, however, may have passed. But starting today, services, people are going back to work. Schools are reopening. Teachers going back.
It's unbelievable. Yeah, the Country Music Hall of Fame should be expected to reopen before next week. 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. We've got so much stuff today. There's a van over on that right shoulder. possibly disabled as a result of those things. 5 southbound before Gilman Drive. We earlier had some debris in the middle of the road. They've just done a traffic break and cleared that. And the Coronado Bridge westbound between the 5 and the 12 Plaza, just a little slow this morning. This report also brought to you by SeaWorld. SeaWorld kicks off its festival of Latin music, food, and fireworks performing live at Shamu Stadium. On May 8, Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga. On May 9, Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. I'm getting really good at that, aren't I? I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. Here's more of The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. So first things first, I'm going to do the, I can't remember what I told you. I want to tell you the 30 Seconds of Mars deal. Yeah. It's the only thing I said was coming up next, right? Yeah. Okay. So Jared Leto, who. Also known as Jordan Catalano. I was just going to say, Jared Leto, who all I know is he's an actor, and then he's in a band called 30 Seconds of Mars that we just played.
But I don't know what show he was on. He was in My So-Called Life, but then he's been in a lot of movies since then. Fight Club being one of them. He was in American Psycho. He was in Girl Interrupted. There you go. So he's obviously a well-known star. He's not that attractive. Girls hate that. I thought he was kidding. Guy's a stallion. He looks kind of stinky. He looks lovely. He's a vegan. Means he don't eat meat. He didn't eat cheese. He didn't eat anything that came from an animal. I could never do that. Kidding. Yes, you could. No way. So this guy was in Phoenix to play with his band. And my brother works for a radio station up there in sales. And they went to lunch. And my brother said that my brother Steve ordered a steak. And Jared Leto started to lecture him. Oh, wow. Yeah, he did. And my brother was. pretty gracious about it and like, you know, taking it with pretty good humor, blah, blah, blah, up until a point. Oh, geez. And then my brother had enough. Yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. And my brother, this is my brother. My brother is very similar to you, Woods, in that you can dish it out to the guy pretty much quite a bit. Yeah, it could take it for a while. Yeah. Once you hit the point. But you get to a point. But it hits a button. Yeah.
Eject. I say, you know, if you hear me say eject with Woodsy, it means, okay, this is the point where we stop. Hit the brakes. Yeah. Or the little spring is going to break in his head. Yes. Yep. And then, you know, bad stuff happens. And so same with my brother with Jared Leto. It doesn't matter if it's Jared Leto or the dude down the hall. If you get him to the point where he snaps, he snaps. So finally my brother goes, look. If you want to do this whole mascara-wearing, don't-eat-meat thing, that's totally your deal. And my brother's kind of strange sometimes. Takes the hamburger, and he's like, it was a hamburger, not a steak. Takes the hamburger, and he holds it up, and he's like, you see that? I'm eating that. You see that? That tastes good. And my brother's boss was there, too, and he's like, oh, my God. Went too far. Well, your brother had every right. Your brother had every right to hold him down, put his knees on his shoulders, and shove it down his throat if he wanted to. Because that guy needs to zip his lip. Yeah, keep your eyes on your paper. Yeah, worry about what's on your plate over there, pal. Sofu and greens and whatever you're going to eat. Well, I told him. I said, listen, maybe you just, you know, maybe you just sit there and whatever. No. Not because it's Jared Leto. I just thought, yeah, come on. Bro, just because you're a vegan doesn't mean I got to be a vegan.
Yeah. Well, this guy, Jared Leto, thought he had to be a vegan, too. What a pod. They really got him. Interesting. Yeah, it was fun. Fun story. That's great. So, if you had to take a guess at who you thought had the number one selling jersey in the NFL, who would you say it is? Ochocinco. Ochocinco? Yeah. Because Woodsy brought it up to me, and Woodsy said, try to think unconventional. Some of you wouldn't guess. I go, Michael Vick. He said, nope. And I would have thought Peyton Manning. I think Peyton Manning is the biggest star in the NFL. MVP all the time. I thought Tom Brady. Yeah, Brady could be one. But unconventional? Tom Brady, unconventional. Hmm. I don't know a lot of unconventional players. You guys are all wrong. I was wrong. We all would have been wrong. Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow. Tim Tebow.
Tim Tebow just got drafted back in April. Tim Tebow is a third-string quarterback on the Broncos, and he has the number one jersey right now. Another funny, interesting fact is Big Ben's jersey is not even found in the top 20 anymore. Really? I would have Tim Tebow's jersey already, except that he plays for the Broncos. What's the big deal about him? A very outspoken Christian that I think has pretty good character. Every time I've seen him interviewed, he's a very polite young man. Seems to be a really good kid. And, you know, I was thinking about this, Mike, when we were talking about this morning. It's kind of a bummer how sports has made me because I'm like, is he? Like, in the back of my mind, I'm like, you know the guy, like, he does something. There's something. Like, you almost. Being a sports fan these days, you almost expect it. How was his season last year or he hasn't played yet? Oh, he's great. I mean, in college, he's phenomenal. He's a rookie now. So he's a rookie in the NFL. But, yeah, he's got the number one jersey. So, you know, they're saying Josh McDaniel's bit in Denver is all about character now. That's why they took him. That's why they get rid of Brandon Marshall. So I guess character does matter in the NFL. If he had gone to the Eagles or something like that.
I'd have gotten his jersey. The only reason I didn't, I'm not getting his jersey if he plays for the Raiders or the Broncos or the Kansas City Chiefs. I ain't buying that jersey. It's the Chargers' biggest rivals. Well, so I'm starting to think that the kid is bad luck for the Padres because they've lost heartbreakers in both of my trips to Petco. I went last night. Well, of course, I was dead asleep when the game ended. It was in the 12th inning, Ian Stewart, the Rocky's third baseman. He put an end to Tim Stauffer's 17 and a third scoreless inning streak. And the Rockies came out and won. I went with my buddy Fenwick. We had great seats. There were 17 people there, so it was nice to see you. Oh, my gosh. We had a really good time. You know what? I'll tell you why there's only 17 people there. Because they took away that $5 deal. That's right. No, there's a $5 deal. That's right. I thought they took it away. You can go to a $5. There's a $5 bid, I think, out in the... in the grass. For the seats, they used to have a food deal that was you got a hot dog, a drink, of course I know this, popcorn, peanuts, and a cookie. For $5. Now they have a $27 all-you-can-eat seat, which is really cool. Even better. Eat all you want. I'll tell you why people aren't going. Tell me, dude, because I want to know. Dude, I'll tell you the actual reason.
The reason that they're not going is because Padre fans have seen this before. It doesn't matter. They start out hot, hot, hot, hot, and then you get your spirit crushed. Now, listen, I'm one of them. I'm a guy that attaches when the winning starts. I'm just being honest with you. I'm not any different than the other 40,000 people that aren't showing up. And the reason is, is because it's like a relationship. I've dated this girl a while. I had season tickets to this girlfriend back in 2004. Cubs. And my feelings got totally... Cubs. Hurt. Cubs. Yeah. The Cubs. The Cubs. The Cubs. The Cubs. I thought you were calling him Cubs. I mean, dude, there's excuses are like, you know, everybody's got one, right? But here's the deal. You got a first place team. We're not the Cubs. I know. You got a first place team. Yeah. You've got some of the best young talent in the major leagues. Seriously. and you have one of the premier players. There were seats last night. I mean, my buddy Fenwick is from Wichita. He goes to Kansas City Royals games. He goes, dude, the Royals get more people than this. That's sad. That is sad. Who are the Padres competing with right now? What do you mean? Nobody. They're not competing with anything in town. Oh, I see what you're saying. You know what I mean? They're competing with the weather. You know what?
It's not like it's an indoor stadium. We're still outside. We have history. It's amazing. We have history. That ballpark is amazing. So here's the deal. Here's what I'm going to tell you, Padres fans. We can't cry when they get rid of Gonzo. We can't because it's our fault. When there's 17 people at a game, when they get rid of their best players, now you know why. They don't have any money. Nobody comes to the games. Aren't we sore because they got rid of... Peavy and they got rid of all the... Aren't we mad about that? Yeah. Aren't we upset about it? But it happens, man. That's the game. Did the Chargers fans still go when you got rid of Drew Brees? Did the Chargers fans still go to the games? It's very easy for a guy that has 28 championship rings. 27. He doesn't have them. Yes, I do. He's a fan. I got him on a t-shirt. He's a Yankee fan. Try saying that to a Padre fan that's never won a championship. Never won a championship. Never. You've got to get out and support your bunch. It's your hometown team. If not, they're going to pack it up and move it somewhere else. You've got to get out and support your team, man. Or you can't cry when they get rid of these players. He's right. They can't afford to keep them. He is right. I'm just fighting my emotions. I'm staying quiet because I'm so annoyed by everything Woods is saying, but I don't know what to say. He's right. I'm just telling you. I could do this. I could do this thing where I pretend.
that I'm a better fan than I actually am. I could pretend, but I'm just being completely honest with you. I had season tickets to the Padres in 04 when they went to the playoffs and lost to the Cardinals. And all I'm telling you is that as a fan, this is what I'm used to. Right out of the gate, hottest team in baseball. Oh my gosh, they're amazing. And then they go on a 974 game losing streak. And we're just like, answer me this though. So last year at this time, they had lost more games, but attendance was up. You know why? Because the season before, we were all like, yeah, this is going to be great. We're awesome. We won the National League West. We're the best. Now you are awesome. Now you are awesome. Get out and see your team. They're awesome. They are so fun to watch. They are so fun to watch. I was there last night going, I'm standing up rooting for them, cheering. I'm like, it was like being at church. I will allow my emotions to be shamed by you, and I will now commence. In supporting the Padres. Attaboy. Okay. But if this girl cheats on me again, again, if this girl cheats on me again, all the other Padre fans are going to be looking at me like,
Mikey, Mikey, what's your problem? It's the funniest thing. I'm hooked now. Like, I'm hooked. I was at the game the other night. I was at the game last night. I put the game on on the car for the drive home. I ran upstairs because it was a tie game and sat for as long as I could. I was exhausted. It was like 930, 945. I'm like, I got to go to bed. I got to get up in five minutes. You're getting me. You're getting me. Like, I'm going to you're going to get me back in again. And my heart's going to get broken, isn't it? I'm looking at Tiana who's lived here all her life and she's looking at me like. What are you doing? You know what happens. Did your heart get broken as a Charger fan? Yeah, but you still go. Different. Totally different, dude. Totally different. Chargers went to the Super Bowl, bro. Chargers went to the Super Bowl. Chargers have a good team on that field every year, man. The Chargers, you know what I mean? Football is what baseball used to be now. You know what I mean? The Padres kill you. They kill you. They kill you. They won't. You got me? I'm investing my emotion into it. And there's so many Padre games that people think, well, you know, I can't go now. I'll just go later. There's a million games. Yeah, there's plenty of time. Woodsy's fired me up, though. I'm going to give my heart to this girl that has every year gets me all excited, and then she's like, I'm sorry. I cheated. I'm sorry. Get behind your team. All right. The Suns won again last night against the Spurs, 110-102, holding serve on their home court. Stevie Nash scored 19 points. Here he is talking about his team. Cut one. Sorry.
There we go. Tonight it might not have been the prettiest offensive display that we've had, but I think we have confidence that we can win these games. There is a satisfaction in that, but we will take them anyway. We can get them. We're not out there to win pretty. You think Mark Cuban wakes up every day just kicking himself? Kicking the crap out of himself. That guy is sick. That guy is sick. Money, dude. Also, Mikey, the TPC Sawgrass starts today in Ponte Verdra. Beach. Is that golfing? Yes. And it's a really cool tournament to watch. They call it the fifth major. There's a lot of things to watch for. How will Tiger do after not even making the cut last week? If he finishes out of the top five and Phil Mickelson wins, then Lefty will be the new number one player in the world. And you know what? Vijay Singh was the last player other than Woods to hold that since 2004. Also, the kid, Rory McIlroy. Yeah, that little Irish kid. He loved that kid. 20 years old. He looks like he's 12. Yeah. Well, he turned 21 this week, so he's officially legal. He shot a course record 62 last week to win his first U.S. tournament. So that's gnarly.
That's pretty solid. And then finally, you know Milton Bradley. He is kind of a wonderful board game. I always enjoy it. I was like, that sounds familiar. He plays for the Mariners now, which is his eighth team in ten seasons. He was playing the other night. He struck out twice. His manager pulled him from the bench. He told his manager. He walked over to his manager and he goes, I'm packing my stuff and I'm out. He's a head case. In the middle of it. He's got a five-cent head. He's got all the talent in the world. He's got a five-cent head. Next day, he shows up at the ballpark and he goes to his manager and he goes, I need help. Really? I need help. Really? I need help. Wow. Yeah. That's good. That's cool. That's good. I mean, he's a hard dude to root for because he's such a head case. Calls himself the Kanye West of MLB. Like, he has this big, giant chip on his shoulder. And it's like, you want to root for him, but at least now he's kind of admitted that he needs some help. And everybody can get behind a dude that says, yeah, okay, I was wrong. We will watch that story. And that, Mikey, is Woods on Sports. Go see your Padres, please. All right. You got me. You got me with it. It's embarrassing. It was embarrassing last night. I can't disagree with him. I can't disagree. All I'm telling you is, you know. Let me tell you something. Can I just give you the analogy? Real quick analogy. This is like a guy that is saying to me, I can't believe that that's your girlfriend. She's so hot, so gorgeous. I can't believe that you're, you know.
In the middle of the meal, you get up, you walk away, you go talk to your friends. You're not even paying attention. You know how many people would kill for a girlfriend like that? And I'm like, dude, I just wish you had been here with our relationship the past couple of years and known what she's done to my heart. I'm a baseball fan. I know what they've been through. I've watched the Yankees dismantle them in 98. It doesn't matter. That's the beauty of baseball. There's always next year. You're dating Scarlett Johansson. You've been dating Scarlett Johansson your whole life. There's always tomorrow, dude. That's the beauty of baseball. They are doing it the right way. They're playing good baseball. If they put a crap product on the field, don't go see it. You got me. I'm holding her hand now. I'm like, I love you, baby. It's literally, I've been to a lot of ballparks. Top three. It's unbelievable to go watch a game there. She drives a very fancy car. You're 100% right. I'm just trying to think, is it the money?
It's not the money because people will go to a bar and drop $100. You mean as to why we're not doing it? Yeah. That's because I told you because every year we get all. Don't give me the beach bit either because there's games at night. Go out. I was at a night game last night. You could have gone to the beach and to the game. And if I'm wrong, by the way, people can call 570-194-9. If I'm wrong, people can call. Yeah. Call. I'd love to talk with you because I want to know why there's 15,000 people there when your division rival is in town and you're in first place. Sienna, tell me about the girl that got arrested for wearing a T-shirt. Oh, yes. Well, this girl showed up to her friend's trial in court and apparently she had an inappropriate T-shirt on that talked about a woman's private part. Yeah. Had little hints around it. Yeah. So this jail, this, this jail, this judge saw her T-shirt and sentenced her to jail, made her spend the night in jail because of the T-shirt she was wearing in court. Imagine calling the bail bonds place to try to explain how you just got busted for wearing an inappropriate T-shirt. I went to court, and I was wearing this shirt, and it was like itty-bitty waist and round thing in your face. And Judge was all like, no, I don't think so. And I was like, what? Hello? Yeah. Who's this? My name's Jenna. Jenna. Yeah. Okay. And tell me again what happened. So I went to court. You went to court. You had a shirt. It said what? My shirt said itty-bitty waist.
and round thing in your face. Badass. Yeah, right? Yeah. That's what I thought. And it's just like, whatever. It's like being in my mind. And then he was like, you're in contempt or something like that. That's a cool story. Yeah. And it was like all... tight around my chest and stuff. It wasn't like it was a v-neck and I wasn't showing any cleave or anything. I could have if I wanted to, you know? That's awesome. Thanks for telling me. Yeah, so you're like a lawyer and stuff, right? A lawyer? No, I'm an electrician. Oh. I think you may have the wrong number, but you said your name was Jenna? Yeah, my name's Jenna. Do you know a lawyer or something? Well, my name's Bill. I think it would probably behoove us to maybe get together. Bill what? Behoove us. That means it would probably be cool if me and you got together. Because you can, like, help me and know somebody? Yeah, I'll help you. Okay. That'd be great. Okay, good deal. All right, well, so, like, where can I, where should we meet? You know where to find me.
Okay. All right. Thank you, Phil. Bye. The creepy wrong number. Creepy wrong number guy. How many times have you heard in your life the love that comes from a creepy wrong number? It just doesn't happen very often. Yeah, we've been married 18 years. We met because she called a wrong number. Oh, I would love to hear a story like that. Wouldn't that be great? It doesn't happen, though, because a guy's always creepy. I have one. You have what? I have one. You have one? I have the greatest story. Probably ever told, and it's a true story. How many times has Wood said that? Dude. And it's you? It wasn't me. It wasn't you. You know somebody, though. It was a friend. It was actually, he came to visit us when we were in college. It was a brother of one of my best friends. My uncle's cousin's neighbor's dog's owner. No, one of my best friend's brother. Yeah. Very simple. Yeah. Comes to visit us at Texas Tech University our freshman year. Right. And remembers the girl that he went to high school with. And he looks her up and he calls her, talks to her. It wasn't her.
Got the wrong number. Convince this girl to come to the house and close the deal. How did he know what she looked like? He didn't. They talked for like an hour on the phone, and it was 2 o'clock in the morning. Basically, the gist of the story is the guy closed the wrong number, dude. And the same day and the same night? Yeah, an hour later. He closed the deal? Huh? Yeah, closed the deal. It's not a good story. That girl's crazy. That's the greatest story ever. He closed the wrong number. So what? An axe murderer. What if she was a... P-I-G, dude. That guy, I guarantee, whenever he meets someone, he shakes their hand. Hey, someone once called me. Oh, every time I see this guy, Matt, I'm like, you guys want to know what he did? He closed a wrong number. It didn't end in love. It ended in lovemaking. Yeah, it ended in lovemaking. He closed a wrong number. That's pretty crazy. Listen, I've never heard that in my life. No, it's a one in a million. Could have gone very wrong. Legendary. Pretty P-I-M-P, though. Legendary. Well, sure. I mean, he convinced her, but it could have been very wrong. I was in the dorms. Everyone just had the same first three numbers, so everyone just had the last four numbers. My guy friends used to just call girls at random. They closed the deal on a regular basis. It's called fishing with dynamite. If you're calling a college girl at 2 in the morning, the odds are pretty high in your favor. Really? I think so. Depends on where you go to school. A, I didn't go to college.
And B, I thought that girls would be like, no, I'm not going to. A creep. Depends on where you go to school. Really? Wow. Yeah. Texas Tech, they were pretty liberal. Yeah. Lubbock, Texas? Lubbock, Texas. Who's got cantaloupe? When do you have cantaloupe? I do. You do, Lauren? Heck no. I hate cantaloupe. I wish I did. So do I. It smells delicious. No offense. Is it you, Woodsy? It's me. I've been eating it every morning. You don't know the thing with me and cantaloupe? I do, but it's not going to stop me from eating it. Delfiest. Delicious. Agreed. Yeah. Delicious like feet that are rotting. Delicious. What do you mean? It smells like it's spoiled. Take a bite. You want to try it? Please try it. Not if you gave me a hundred gajillion. When was the last time you ate cantaloupe? When I was five and threw up. 78? Well, maybe your taste buds changed. No, I've tried. It's always. like the bulk of a fruit salad. And I've tried to go back. I'm like, eh, it can't be so bad if they give you so much. Yeah, you know why? Because it's garbage. They're like, we can't give it away. Why don't we just put it in a fruit salad? Urine with floaters in it. Gross. Gross. She does. You like cantaloupe, Woodsy? I love it. I will eat a whole cantaloupe. I would too. It's really good for you. It's not sweet. Bro, I let the juices run down my chin. Delicious.
I can tell you right now why my taste buds haven't changed. Why? If my nose reacts to it that violently. Yeah. Did you just take it out? No, it's in a Ziploc bag, yeah. Wow. You just took it out, though? Well, I ate a couple bites a minute ago. You can still smell it? Yes. You're crazy. Sealed back up. I got dumped on the air like a month ago for comparing cantaloupe to something gross. Why don't you say it again? Let's do that. So I have to hit the dump button again. That's how bad it tastes. You're almost tied with me. It's awful. It's delicious. You're crazy. Let's see. Mickey Rourke. Oh, man. He's going to be in the new Iron Man 2. Was on Jimmy Kimmel's show talking about him and Robert Downey Jr., who have their history in, you know, imbibing. with various hardcore drugs. You could say that. It was funny because both of us got a second chance. And you don't get a lot of second chances in anything in life, especially in the movie business. And both of us had two strikes, two and a half strikes, really. I think he was worse than me. He may have had four. And he walks around with a satchel now of vitamins. And I thought, wow.
We've come a long way from... I would have been showing up about noon, and he wouldn't even have been there. And there wouldn't have been vitamins in the satchel either. No, there wouldn't have been. I love Mickey Rourke. He's great. That movie's going to be awesome. Tomorrow. Want to hear about the worst health foods in America? Then we have another fake interview, the thing that just makes me and Woods laugh. It's like a guilty pleasure of ours. I can't wait to hear it. And we'll play it on the radio. KBCT San Diego Financial Media Station, the new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. 570-1949. Got a new billboard up, and if you've seen it, you can tell us about it because I don't even know where it is. It's supposed to come out Monday. 94 West. Yeah, it came up early. Yeah, it's on the 94 West, Mike. I'm your program director, and I just saw it. I want to see it. Detroit. Seattle. Philly. Later. Scott Shannon. See you later. Blarsky in the morning. These are all the things that he says. Love you, Garrett. All the time. We love you, Garrett. Mike, real quick, I was on with Tommy yesterday at his live broadcast, and he made me do my Garrett on the air. No way. Tommy's our afternoon DJ, and he was hanging out at Jose's yesterday in La Jolla. Yes, that's fine. Once he went and visited.
He put me on the air and he goes, Garrett really loves this band from, they're a Dutch band. Maybe do your Garrett. Really? And introduce him. I go, you know, the best music comes out of Holland. You're going to love this song. It's called Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. It's a band from Douchage Maisch. Douchage Maisch. That's awesome. I love the G man. Drievel. So, Sienna, tell us about, tell us about the worst. healthy foods in America. Now, if I understand this right, this is the stuff that we think is healthy, but it's not necessarily. Well, yeah, and at some of these restaurants that are, you know, chain restaurants all over the country, they recommend these items as their finger quote healthy items. Please don't tell me that the guiltless chicken platter at Chili's is on there. No, it's not on here. Okay, because I love that. There's only a few on this list, but... I mean, smoothies in general. Yeah, they're bad. They got a lot of sugar. They are so bad for you. I don't understand. How can it be bad? It's got sugar. There's some that aren't, but the Smoothie King, they say that this one, it's called the Skinny Cranberry Supreme. Really? Yeah, so many calories is in that bad boy. How many? I'm going to guess. Okay. A thousand. 620. You're very close. 890.
You're very close. $8.91. $8.50. $9.08. $1.908 calories. 146 grams of sugar. Wow. So let me explain the sugar thing because I didn't know this. And if people don't know this, it might be interesting to you. Your body takes sugar and it burns a certain amount. You know, if you're kind of tubby like me and you're just walking around. And me. And you're not really exercising a lot, which I am now. If you're not moving around, your body will burn that sugar. The rest of the sugar, it will take and it'll go, oh, I'm going to put you away for later. In my belly. And it'll pack it on as fat sugar. In my breasts. Yes. Oh, my gosh. Your moves. They're nice, too. Yeah, great. That was creepy. Creepier than anything I've ever heard. Is it just fruit in there, Sienna? Does it say? No, it doesn't say. Sugar. I'm sitting here drinking cranberry juice right now. Yeah, and then they take that and they add sugar to it. They take the natural sugar and they add sugar to it. I wonder if it's just natural sugar from fruit. Oh, my gosh. Let's start grazing in my yard. They say next to the drink that this one helps you stay healthy, finger quotes again, but it has as much sugar as... Five Snickers. Fourteen glazed donuts. What? The next one that you're going to read? No, that one. The one you just read.
14 glazed donuts. My goodness, dude. It's called the fat ass cranberry smoothie. They should. I wonder if there's any actual real fruit or if it's just powdered sugar. That is so disgusting. Maybe I drink a donut smoothie. Yeah. Maybe that'd be better for me. Yeah. Might as well just take them. You can fit for two donuts in there. Oh, my God. Put 10 donuts in with milk and be like, I'm healthier than King Smoothie. Yeah. Donut shake. You can put all those donuts in a blender and blend it up. And Smoothie King. Yeah. What did I say? King Smoothie. Okay, what about this one? Ruby Tuesdays. Have we all been to a Ruby Tuesday? I think once. Nope. It's a hamburger place, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. They have burgers. Good salad bar. Well, they have the avocado turkey burger. Sounds delicious. Sounds good, right? What's wrong with it? Turkey burger, not meat burger. Oh, avocado turkey burger. Turkey burger. It's got to be healthy. I would order that in a second thinking I'm being good. Oh, yeah. I don't know how much fat's in that. But avocado has a lot of fat, but it's good fat. I don't understand that good fat. I hate hearing that. I know. Really? Oh, my fat's not good. I know. There's 81 grams of fat in that burger. That's more than a Big Mac.
1,234 calories. Yikes. That's more than a big amount. Almost 3,000 milligrams of sodium. The me from 1993 that was morbidly obese just called in and went, I really need that. I really need that. That's so bad. I need that. That's awful. Oh my gosh, it's so bad. Okay, here's a chicken entree. A chicken entree at the Outback Steakhouse. It's called the Alice Springs Chicken. Oh, I love that. Oh, really? I haven't had it in like five years. Before you tell me the fat and calories, do they give a description of what it is? No, I think it's just chicken and veggies, right? Lauren, tell us. Like chicken and veggies and cheese and sizzling deliciousness. Melted over the chicken? Yeah. Grilled chicken on the Barbie. On the barbe and fresh seasonal veggies. With chicken melted over the top. And cheese. That was like my college go-to. That was like, I'm going to eat fancy tonight. And it would be this chicken. How much? The Outback Alice Springs chicken has 94 grams of fat, 1,303 calories. I can't believe Lauren ate that. 94 grams of fat. Yeah. Dude. Holy cow. What are we doing now?
From what I heard, they're going to have to start printing calories and fat and stuff on menus. Good. Good luck. Yeah. Oh, wow. What would you do? You could eat KFC, dude, and that's better for you, I think. You know what's going to happen, man? No. I think so. You know what's going to happen? A lot of times, I bet this will happen. People will walk in. They won't have any clue. They'll sit down. They'll read the menu, and they'll go, oh, I'm out of here. Yeah. Oh, they recommend the grilled chicken on the Barbie, the one I recommended before. That one has about 600 calories, which is much better. I mean, it's half the amount. There's two schools of thought, man. I got one school of thought that I've heard from plenty of people that goes, if food is good for you, ain't going to taste good, get used to it. Really? And then I got another school of thought from people that go, the people that I see like on the Food Network that go, it doesn't have to be like that. It doesn't. You can make things that taste good. You need to retrain. The human mind is capable of some amazing things. That's not what they're saying, though, Lauren, is they're saying that you can make things that taste good. But I'm saying right now, it's a chemical reaction when you eat these fatty, sugary foods. Your mind tells your body, oh, yeah, that tastes good. So it's just a retraining. See, my wife believes that it's not going to taste good no matter what. You can't do anything to it. If it's good for you, it's going to taste bad. Just get used to it.
I think that you can put flavors together that taste good. Yeah. Spices. Thank you. Kim has 100% changed me because I like the fatty peanut butter and she's got like a healthier version of peanut butter. And at first I was like, oh, this tastes awful. And now I go back to the other and I'm like, I can't believe I ever ate that peanut butter. It's all oily. It's all oily. And now when I have it, it does this thing to like, it makes me feel sad if I have like stuff that's too. What's a healthy peanut butter? What's that like? I know. What is life like? I'll be like, I'm going to splurge and I'm going to have this, that, that. I'm going to have an almond. A lot of times after our Wednesday lunches, I'll be like, wah, wah, wah. Really? Because I'll go and I'll cheat and I'll do all this stuff. Yeah, and then I get this chemical reaction from the... Preservatives. Yeah, exactly. It's like I feel like I'm being embalmed by the preservatives. I had a reaction yesterday after lunch. It's called a nap. It was full of deliciousness and a nap. Not yesterday's lunch, but some of the places. Keelani's killed it for us. Keelani's is Hawaiian food. I want it again right now. Yeah, it should be called Carbalani's. Maybe I eat seven helpings of mac salad for next night. With rice. I was good. I didn't have dinner last night. I was good. Lauren O'Brien. I know. You didn't eat dinner. That's not good. That's not good. You're telling us that it's good that you starved yourself? I didn't have to starve myself. I made a smoothie. I had a twig.
No, I had a snack afterwards because the carbs put me through all day. What was the snack? One wasabi pee? No. She ate everything but the plate yesterday. I was the same as Lauren. I was pretty burnt out too. And I had celery and peanut butter, probably the bad peanut butter. But it was good. See? Santa did the same thing. Kids laid a hot dog, a chocolate sundae, and some peanut M&M's, and a giant Coke at the Padres game. Nice. Okay, so this is the worst healthy foods in America. You want to know about the worst salad? Yep. but it's CPK, right? California Pizza Kitchen. Oh, no. Have you ever had the Waldorf chicken salad with blue cheese dressing? That's what you got last time, Lauren. That's what I got last time. You want to know what's in that little sucker? Yes, I do. 1,570 calories. Wow, in a salad. My jaw just dropped open. I know. Are you kidding me? 30 grams of fat. 30 grams of fat in a salad. That's what put the pepper in your teeth. Yes. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. That is like my daily allowance in a salad. That's her weekly allowance. We would never know. We would never know. Okay, now. Yeah, it is. Now the last one I'm going to tell you. It's the worst food in America. What? The worst healthy food. What? Oh, man. It's from the Cheesecake Factory. That's where I got the pepper in my tea. That's where you got the pepper in your tea. The place we all love. It's the Bistro Shrimp Pasta. Delicious. Sounds phenomenal. Yeah, and it sounds healthy. It's got shrimp. Yeah. Want to know how many calories are in it? Nine.
150 billion. Yes! There are 2,819 calories. 2,819 calories. I'd have to say though. 77 grams of fat. There's got to be like at least three servings in the Cheesecake Factory because their portions are huge. But we eat it. Do we? Americans do. Yeah, most. The whole thing? We have portion problems. We do. I do. Portion control problems. I do. You mean when you go to 7-Eleven and you buy a bucket of coconut, you know, like fountain drink? I can't eat small portions. I can't. Like, I feast. I eat my meal. I eat half of Jamie's meal. Everywhere we go. I'm a fat pig. You're woodsy. Stop it. You're not. I have no self-control. Tastes so good, doesn't it? So good. It hits your lips. If you go to, like, a French restaurant and they bring it out, you're like... That's it? That's it. Yeah. I heard in France they give you like a little, they bring your food out basically. If you order a hot fudge sundae, they bring it out in a thimble. Yeah. Yeah. You get a thimble. No, it's like on your bread plate. You know, it's tiny. Yeah. Literally, you get it. You're like, wait. Yeah. This is $50? You're like, what do I do with that? What is this? Oh, I get it. This is a first course. Yeah. Let's see. M1 Dave is on the line. Hi, Dave.
Hey, how are you guys doing? Good. Hey, so for probably the past six years, I've lived up north and worked down here. And I've lived off of that food. You know, I moved in with my fiance about a year ago, and she's all natural. So, I mean, we have no dyes, no red dyes, no yellow dyes, no saturated fat, no trans fat. Sounds great. I mean, she reads everything that we purchase. Dave, are you chubby? No, I'm actually skinny. How old are you? I'm turning 34 in two months. Really? And you're just wired that way. You're just wired that way. You got that genetics. You're lucky. Lucky. He didn't help me. actually sent me to the doctors. It was a shock to my system that it did not make me feel good. Wow. See, it can be dangerous. I knew it. Really? Don't you know? Yeah, but I had it physical. He did all my cholesterol and even eating fast food, you know, I was below 170 and I was doing good.
I'd say he's the exception. I'm going to stick with the Big Macs, I think. He's got some good genes. Lucky guy. I'm going to get one after the show. Yeah, he's got what they call skinny genes. Skinny, duh! Skinny genes. Oh, wow. I'm going to get a Big Mac. All he wants is a Big Mac right now. I hate that they taste so good. They're so good. Look at Lauren. She's like, vomit. They slather that Thousand Island on there. That's special sauce. It's Thousand Island. I don't even want to talk about it. Don't ruin the secret. It's delicious. I'm going to get dumped. Yum. Yum. I'm bathing it. Here's what Woodsy. I just imagined him. In a bathtub. With a rubber ducky. Pouring it on his head with his tongue out. Swim in a river. Keep your eyes closed. So, Woodsy and I will do this thing where... I'll call him or he'll call me and we answer the phone and all of a sudden we hear Pacino's voice or we hear somebody's voice. Hello! You guys feel so strange. I know, it's like we're seven. And we start talking to the thing. Oh, Pacino's calling me. Do your wives ever get jealous of your bromance? Yeah, mine does.
Rebecca will walk by and look in there and roll her eyes and walk away. Exactly. That's exactly what I would do. Like, I could see, maybe not because you guys talk all the time, but you make each other laugh so hard. It's like there's no one else in the room. Yeah. It's fun. Maybe you all get. Yeah. Maybe you GIT. So this was ours talking to Pacino. I'm sitting here with an Oscar award winner, and I'm really thrilled. Yes. Al Pacino. Hello. How are you today? You know me. Let me ask you a question. Let's get right to it. Do you still suck your thumb? Yes. Is it a regular habit of yours? Yes. Is it? Yes, it is. Can you state your name for the record for all of us right now? State your name. Mr. Williamson. That is not your name. Tell us your name. My name is Richard Roma. Your name is Al Pacino. No.
Yes, it is, too. Al Pacino. This is me. I know it. And you're saying that your name is something different. It's not. It's Al Pacino. If you please. Are you seeing anyone? Yes. Is it Fergie? That's right. Are you Fergalicious? You're right. You are Fergalicious. Yes. You little monkey. Yes. What's in your belly button right now? Tell me the truth. Don't lie or I'll know. What is in your belly button? Jim. Jim's in your belly button? Yes. Do you have a tramp stamp? No, I don't know. Tell me. I'm asking you if you have a tramp stamp. I confess. Really? Were you ever a stripper? Yes. Yes, I confess. What? Okay. What was your stripper name? Kuma. That was your stripper name? Yes. Do you ever pretend to be an airline stewardess? No. What name did you use as an airline stewardess? Be honest. Ricky Roma.
I thought that was what your name is. D. Ray Morton. I will take a ginger ale, D. Ray Morton. Oh, I'm sorry. I will take a ginger ale, D. Ray Morton. If you please. Thank you. Thank you for talking to us today, Mr. Pacino. Now, I want to talk to you because... We're done. You're obviously upset. We're done. I'm not upset. We're just ending the interview. Thank you for... Say the words. I'm saying them. Did you hear what I said? Yeah. Thank you for the interview, Mr. Pacino. You're right. That's the edited version because we will do that. Oh, God. Oh, yeah. We actually did edit that down a little bit. The edit. Children. I love how you said, don't lie or I'll know. Yeah.
It's like my favorite thing in the world. What did you call him? A little monkey? Yeah. A little monkey. A little monkey. Were you an airline stewardess? What the heck? How? We just try to come up with stuff to stump each other. Like, I'm going to say something that he won't know what to press. What was your stripper name? Yeah, what was your stripper name? Hooah. Hooah. Hooah. That's a good one. I love Al Pacino. He's the greatest. He's the best. Maybe the next one we do De Niro. Yeah. Yes. The next one we do De Niro. I love it. I'll find one from De Niro and we'll do that. I love him. Have you seen Heat? Greatest. For me? Yeah. Have you seen Heat? Uh-uh. Lauren, you haven't seen it? No. Should I? Greatest bank robbing scene ever. And the first time that... Resonant? Oh, that's the one you used to... Don't look at me. That's when that 911 call you talked about Val Kilmer and Al Pacino. Is that right? No. Yeah. No, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well... That's the first scene that De Niro... I mean, think about how old... The movie's what? When did they come out? 95 or something. First scene that De Niro and Pacino have ever done together. Really? Yeah. They did. They actually did... That's what I thought too, but they actually did The Godfather together. Yeah, they were both in the movie, but they never had a scene together. Yeah, they did. No, they didn't. Yeah, they did. No, they didn't. Was it Mikey's dad in The Godfather? Yes. I guarantee you they did. I promise you they didn't. Call in.
Call in. They didn't. The first scene they ever did was in Heat. When they're sitting there and they're talking to each other and it's, hey, if I come around the corner and I see you, I'm going to put you down. That seems... Wait, when was The Godfather made? 78. That seems more likely. Let's have a bet. Let's have a bet. It was Godfather 2. No, it wasn't. It was Heat. Godfather 2? Yep. Dude, it was Heat. Dude, my dad was in it. It doesn't matter. It was Heat. I'm telling you it was Godfather 2. It was Heat. Settle a bet. Settle a bet. Somebody call in. I... I'd have to go with Mikey. I'll bet you anything on it. I'll bet you a million dollars in cash. Mikey's dad was in a movie. All right, if I'm right, you eat cantaloupe. If I'm right, you eat cantaloupe. I know I'm right. I will eat cantaloupe. Okay, done. You will. Yes! What about you? Yeah, what about you? I'll eat. I'll drink kombucha. I'll drink a whole bottle of kombucha. Lord, do you have kombucha? No, I don't even have it with me. You have to eat something that makes you want to vomit. Indian food. Okay, yes. Indian food? I'll eat it. Yeah, because it made him throw up one time. I threw up. And he has a mental deal with it. That's right. He threw it against the wall. Yeah, I threw the rest of it against the wall of the restaurant. If I'm right, you have to eat it. If you're right, I have to eat cantaloupe. This is really happening because we don't know the first. Mikey, I feel for you. Because if I had to eat cantaloupe. Did you spit on your hand? They shook on it. Fake spit. Oh, okay, good. We just shook on it. What are you guys, blood brothers now? Yeah.
Cut your wrist, pal. Mikey, you look nervous. I can't wait to watch. I have cantaloupe. I know it was... Cantaloupe. It's the... No, they were in the... Yeah, you look at the credits. They're both in the movie, dude. But they're not together. Where are we going to get Indian food? Yes, they are. No, they're not! That can't be right. They're not in the movie together. Somebody knows the answer. I don't know. Woods knows his movies. 5701949. He always wins the game. Dude, my dad's in it. I've seen it a billion times. They're in it. What do they say to each other? I don't know. I'm so nervous. Yeah, what do they say to each other? He looks pale right now. He's about to vomit. That cannot be right. Cantaloupe. Cantaloupe. Cantaloupe. M1Able. What up? What's going on, guys? Hi. I know for a fact De Niro played, and the Godfather, he played the father, the original Corleone. Thank you. So when they would film him, it would just be, you know, the old scene. So he never did a scene with... Yeah, dog! Yes! Are you 100% positive? Yeah, he's 100% sure. Yes, I am. Yes, yes, yes! We need more calls. We need five calls. I need more than that. At least three. I am 110%.
All right. All right. That's one of those movies. I'm keeping score. Can't do a scene together. Can't shut it. Can't shut it. Can't shut it. I'm keeping score. Please. One point Woods. Wow. Next call. Another call. Mikey is so nervous. Yeah. Well, how's it going, man? Hey, Mikey, you're wrong, dude. Yes. Dude, are you sure they're not in a scene together? He plays his dad. Dummy. Godfather's from 1970 when Godfather was shot, of course. They never had one scene together. Oh, no, no, no. Yes! Look at this delicious cantaloupe, Mike. Heat. In the diner. Heat. My face is twitching. My face is twitching. I'm sorry, dude. All the teams shot in Godfather 1 and 2, they were never actually... together. They were all shot separately. He played his father? It's bad. I hate to break it to you, man. They went on to do Righteous Kill together, which of course was a horrifically bad movie anyway. I'm going to bring in the biggest, juiciest, most orange slice of dripping wet kale of you. I'm looking at my call screener and I'm like...
Please let there be one that says I'm right. Everyone says woods. The paler it is, the grosser it is. Should I get it pale? How much does he have to eat? Dude, don't make me eat. Just make me eat cantaloupe. You don't have to make it gross. Really? I'm going to go to the seediest Indian food place in the world to find you the worst Indian food? No, you're not because you lose. Greg? Sorry, Mikey. Yes, yes, yes, yes. Robert De Niro plays Marlon Brando as a young guy. You see Albertino's character. He's a very small child. That's three strikes. So they are never actually in the same thing together. Wow. Let's bring some in. We'll bring you... I'm not going to sleep. I'm not going to sleep. I'm not going to sleep. I'm not going to sleep. I'm not going to sleep. I'm not going to sleep. I ain't doing it today. I have to psych myself up. See, I've got some. No, no. I can bring you more tomorrow. I need time to mentally prepare. I just stopped. Stopped to buy the wife some flowers the other day at a fruit stand. And they had... It was like a big...
produce, Dan, and I bought half of a cantaloupe. We have not even sliced it up yet. Is it pale? Real good. Oh, it's got saran wrap. It's wrapped up real sweetly for you, dude. Shrink wrap. It's wrapped up real sweetly for you. I have more at home, too. That's all pale. I'm not going to sleep. You're going to have cantaloupe nightmares. I have a sick feeling in my stomach right now. Feast on it, pal. Mikey's eating cantaloupe. Are you sure? Is there one person maybe... I'm going to watch it tonight. If he played his father, Mike, why would they be in the same scene? They couldn't be in the same together. It doesn't make any sense. I've never even seen the godfather, but... He played his dad. Didn't really think that one through, did you? It's going to be real, real good. Real sweetly. Can I get out of it? No. Let's do double or nothing. Let's do double or nothing. No way. No. Mikey, you're eating it. You agreed. You don't want to do double or nothing or something? Nope. Nope. You can eat two cantaloupes. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. What if you'd have to eat two full cantaloupes? That's a word. It's insurance that in the event that you make a half-brained bet. Ridiculous bet. That ends in you having to eat cantaloupe. You can use the insurance policy.
So that you don't have to eat. Can you call AIS for that? I just screamed in the studio, I don't want to eat cantaloupe. Like a child. It's got to be done. Maybe AIS can make that real right. We have to discuss how much cantaloupe I'm going to eat. A slice. Oh! A slice. Why a slice? A slice. Why can't I have a piece? No, a slice. One slice of cantaloupe. How about one slice? Piece that's the size of one dice. Slice. A whole half. Mike. A whole half. Man up, man. Violent thought. Put your face right into it. That's a violent thought. Right into it. AIS. AIS. I feel slime on my tongue thinking about cantaloupe. You know what cantaloupe seems like to me? It seems like moss on a rock. Delicious moss. Agreed. Juicy goodness.
Oh, my mouth is filled up with saliva. Yeah. It's good. It's rotten. What if you try it and you love it? What if I don't? What have I been missing out on? AIS is the greatest. I know, it's going to be delicious. If by delicious, you mean that my stomach will violently protest to it, then yeah, delicious. Think about it being something really good, like a chimichanga or something. Because they're almost identical, a chimichanga and cantaloupe. Horchata.
1-800-777-4AIS. Average savings, $650 a year on auto insurance. That's a lot of cantaloupe. Yeah, because cantaloupe should be free. Give it away in my mind. $650 worth a cantaloupe. Being brought to you by the good folks at Guayaquil Yerba Mate. Bottles and cans, new flavors available. Be sure to check it out at all your favorite stores. Jimbo's Naturally is a great place to go as well. Surf-wise today, looking at a combination of increased southwesternie swell, a bit of west-northwest wind swell crossing that up too. Surf has picked up a notch at most spots, looking at waves running in that waist and chest high range. Shoulder high to head high plus at the standout spots, most open to that southwest swell direction. Once again, though, unfortunately for us, we've got cloudy skies and some eddy conditions meeting south, southeasterly winds, putting a texture crumble on most open areas, a little bit more protected by the structured zones and the coved areas that are more protected from this direct wind. As you head further north up in the oceanside areas and so forth, the wind is more offshore, more at the east, so it is cleaner. and they are picking up more size up there. Down here, it's a bit more spotty in winter, more of a factor, and highs continue to drop, too. So there's ways to be had, but just don't expect anything really clean. You know how he likes some farting humor. And Jay. I've got bees in my attic right now. On FM 94.9. Welcome back. I want to let you know that the local band Circa now is having a CD release event on the rooftop of the 10th Avenue Theater. It's happening Saturday night, 21 and up, $15 admission. Includes a copy of their new CD, so get down with it. Let's see. Someone, Ryan? Yes. Hi, how are you doing? Good. So, technically, you guys are both wrong. Uh-oh. Really? Yes. They weren't ever in any scene together in The Godfather 2. In heat, if you watch the movie again.
When they're shot together, it's all perspective shots. So when De Niro's in frame, it's like Pacino's looking at him, but they're never actually on screen together. There's been rumors for years they were actually never on set together. They shot those pieces individually. The first time they're actually on screen in a frame together was in Righteous Kill. You guys willing to give me that? No, absolutely not. Let's just call Al Pacino or Al Pacino. Lots of scenes are shot with different cameras, so does that technically still make it a scene, but they're not in the same frame? It actually shows them sitting at the table at the same time. Now, in that scene, it shows them there's actually a scene. I know which one it is. I've seen that movie. 15,000 times. It's not like they go from face to face like that. I may give you that, but there's a scene of them sitting at the table. Now, whether they did that separately and superimposed it, I don't know. But on the screen, they're on there together. Thank you. It shows two dark-haired guys sitting at a table together. First of all. Thank you, Ryan. Guys eating cantaloupe regardless. Any way you slice it, pal, you're having some cantaloupe tomorrow.
Thank you for the spirit of your argument. I'd be willing to make you both lose. Zero percent. You both have to eat it. Zero percent. I win. You sure you don't want to do something where we both lose? I'm positive. Because I win. Lose-lose situation. Yeah, lose-lose. Hey, it's time to announce our meet and greet. Yes. Holler. We're doing another meet and greet. And this time, we're doing it. At Hoolies. Nice. Yes. Great. Good. We're doing it at Hoolies, and it's going to be next Friday. I had so much fun at the last one. I did, too. I can't wait for this one. It's going to be great. I got plans, though. I can't do it. Really? I'm just kidding. Friday the 14th. Friday the 14th. Friday the 14th. Friday the 14th. It's going to be the day after our golf tournament. So we've got two big things coming up in a row. Busy week. Yeah, it is. Mikey's show. I bet, Mike.
What's that? You're going to be sore. Your little arms. Swinging the club all day. Little T-Rex arms. Is that right? How dare you? Little T-Rex. So we'll be there the 14th at Hoolies. Now, do we have info? 5-7? Jaybird, you got the 4-1-1 for me? You have the information? I was looking in the... It was supposed to be an assist. So let me see if I can... What's the SIS? It's the line-up. Oh, you better hope Garrett wasn't listening. Yeah, it's supposed to be in the SIS. That's where I was told it was going to be. Yeah, you've got to check in the SIS. I checked the SIS. It's on that system right there. The computer desktop that you've fallen in love with and become very acquainted with. Call Detroit. It's our program director, Garrett. I'm trying to get the address right now, but I know it's Hoolies. We're just looking at SIS. For anyone that went out to the St. Patty's Day broadcast, same place.
Here we go. It's at the Hoolies in La Mesa. It's 5500 Grossmont Center Drive in La Mesa. It's a new Hoolies. It's a different place, Lauren. Just so people don't go to the one that they were broadcasting from. Maybe. We're a train ride. We don't know. Hooley's is all ages until 10 p.m. on Friday night, so people can bring their kids. Yeah, bring the kids. Is this the new jam? This is the new jam. It's not the old jam. My bad. It's going to be awesome. If you have a baby, bring one, because I really want to hold a baby. You do? That's weird. I'm just ready for mine to come out. Maybe a little Beezy will come out again. Oh, I'd love to see a little Beezy. A little angel. It'd be awesome. It's a baby of one of our listeners. Maybe M1 Sanjaya can bring his baby. Oh, yeah. Maybe M1 Sanjaya decides to show up at this one. Yeah. That's right. How about that, Sanjaya? Maybe his baby won't be three days old. Maybe he can make it real right. Maybe he'll decide to show up. Yeah, his baby was three days old the last time. And we're giving him a hard time. I see. This time. What's more important, dude? Mikey show meeting reader your kid, okay? Sanjaya, this time, maybe you bring some stuffed jalapeno peppers. Yeah. Absolutely.
In case you don't have enough on your plate. That's right. Literally. So that's the deal. We're doing a meet and greet. It's going to be a week from Friday. It's going to be great. And we want everybody to come out and join us at Hoolies in La Mesa. It's going to be great. And we're just going to be giving you the new sticker that we have. Got a brand new bumper sticker that you can throw on your car. And you come hang with a crew. And it'll be great. Maybe buy me a beer. Yeah. Maybe you get Lauren a beer. Maybe you get Lauren a roofie colada. Yeah. No! Out of the gumball machine. That's it. Now I'm not taking a beer from anyone. That's right. How would you guys like to do something called the Incorporated? Oh, yeah. I feel like it's been forever. You know it. It's because we were on vacation. We were off a week. Remember that? So let's do this. Let's do this. This is Woodsy. I'm out of here. You have to leave the studio. Watch out, boys. He'll chew you up. My name's a special guest. Oh, here he comes.
Love this jam. Do you notice whenever that little jingle comes on, Woods always stands up and leaves the studio. He walks out like, I'm the man. He's like, I'm the incorporator. He goes, I'm the incorporator. So here's the deal. The incorporator is we call someplace out in the middle of nowhere. Jay, what are we calling today? Flower shop. It's Mother's Day. Oh, I like that. Very nice. So we call a flower shop, and Woodsy has to incorporate words that you give us. So you call us right now, 570-1949, and we want very common words and phrases. Very common words and phrases. And then we will give those common words and phrases to Woodsy, and he will have to work them into a sentence. Jay, do we have text words and stuff like that? I do. I've got them right here ready to bring in. All right, cool.
So that's how the incorporator works. It's a lot of fun and it's kind of a difficult deal. He's basically the way that it works is he's going to work these common words and phrases into a conversation with the person at the flower shop. And he has to do it. He has to do it without drawing the ire of the person, the person saying anything weird. I'm really trying to think of something difficult. I have one. He, by the way, they cannot hear me, he can hear me, but they can't hear me when we call. Yeah. You got one, Lauren? Yeah, piccolo. What's that? It's an instrument. I bet you a million dollars. I know that. Bet you a million dollars. All right, clarinet. That's good. I'm going to write it. All right, here's some of the other ones that we have. Can I tell you one? Yes. Take it off. All right.
He's dancing in the hall like a child. He says he wants eight. He held up eight fingers. Let's see. Now, these are common words and phrases. M1 Yankees suck is on the line. Nice. What do you got? Hey, what's going on, Mikey? I got cantaloupe. Yeah. Nice. Cantaloupe. All right. Good luck, brother. Thank you. I hope you met me. All right. Now I'm going to read you some. that we have on text. All right, here they are. Here's what we got. Who can I hear? Where is that coming from? The phone screener? Oh, it's our slow closing door. It's a slow closing door. All right. M1 Abrams gave us the word intimate. M1 Blue John gave us streets ahead. Streets ahead? Straight ahead? Streets ahead. Streets ahead. Is that a common phrase?
Let's just make it straight ahead. Make it straight ahead. Straight ahead. Make it straight ahead. Speed ahead? Full speed ahead? I don't know. I just learned to give every phrase she knows. Blue ahead. Sesame Street. Straight ahead. We're going to go with straight ahead. Okay. M1 Hudson. Shoot some hoops. Nice. M1 Ultraman. Xylophone. So we're going to have two instruments. Yes. Lauren says clarinet. Sienna says take it off. Yankee success cantaloupe. We got seven there? Yep. Intimate. Straight ahead. Shoot some hoops. Xylophone. Should we split the instruments so they're not... Yep. Yeah. No, give them two back to back. It'll be too easy because he'll already be worked into it. Yeah. That's true. That's true. Take it off. I'm going to stump him. Cantaloupe and clarinet. Perfect. All right. Come on in, Woodsy. Come on in. Oh, here he comes. You ready to go? It's been a while, dude.
All right. Still got it, you think? What's the first word now? Our phone lines. Here we go. You feel alive? Too alive. A little too alive. Yes, good morning. Is this the flower shop? Hello. Yes, hello. I can barely hear you. Can you hear me, my dear? Sounds like you're a million miles away. Well, I am. I'm in Germany. Are you there? Yeah, I can hardly hear you. Okay, maybe I'll try you back in one second. Okay. Okay, great. Live right now. That didn't sound like a flower shop. It didn't. It sounded like a preschool. I had a wrong number. Maybe that was the wrong number. Maybe that was the wrong number. What did they say? She goes, hello? I can't hear you. You're a million miles away. You're a million miles away. I'm in Germany. Of course. Of course, I'm in Germany. Want to try it again?
I'll tell you what the problem is. That microphone is not printing to the phones. They're not hearing it. Do you want to switch? There's something wrong with that mic. Can you go back to my mic? Here's my problem. If we do that again and one of those mics is messed up, my head is going to come off of my shoulders. Why doesn't he go on your mic? Want me to go check it? Yeah. Phil's flower shop. So we got it. Our mics weren't on. Perfect. All right. Are we ready to do this? Ready. Doing the incorporator. Now, here's how it works. One more time. Run this down with you. Basically, what we do is we call a place out in the middle of nowhere. Woodsy has to incorporate the following words into the conversation. Oh, yeah, yeah. I can't. I can't. Thank goodness. Boy, you're making me feel alive over here. So I can't read them. You know, I know the first one is intimate. Yeah, I give you the first one. Yes. Don't read those, man. Come on. So he's going to incorporate these eight words into the sentence with her. Into the conversation. Okay, here we go. Let's do it. Here we go. Moisturizing. Moisturizing. When he gets nervous, he moisturizes. How can I help you? Oh, hello, darling. I called just a couple of minutes ago. I apologize. There's something wrong with my phone.
Oh, yeah, I thought I had gotten a call from someone. Yes, yes. Well, my name is Wolfgang, and I need to buy some flowers for Mother's Day. Now, tell me, first of all, are you one of those large flower shops, or are you more of a small, intimate type of place? Straight ahead. We're very small and intimate. Straight ahead. Okay, great, great. Now, moving straight ahead, what types of things do you have in your flower shop? What types of flowers are very gorgeous for Mother's Day? Shoot some hoops. Very gorgeous and special for Mother's Day. I mean, we have an array of flowers. Anything you can think of. Now, my mother is very athletic. I mean, she likes to play flag football. She likes to shoot some hoops. So I need something, you know, obviously flowers are very girly, but I need something a little more masculine as well. I'd like to come in and take a look at what we've got. We could certainly come up with something.
that could fit your mother just fine. I think that I will come in later, but I play in a little local German band. I play the xylophone, and I have practiced until about, oh, until a little bit after lunch, so maybe I come in later. Yeah, we could definitely get something picked out just right. Now, if I get a bouquet, and I walk out to my car, and there's a nasty-looking flower in there, should I, do I... Do I take it off the bouquet or do I bring it back in? Do you refund my money? How does that work? If you wanted to come back in and have that flower replaced, we could certainly do that for you. Okay, great, great. Now, I remember one time I was working as a temp and somebody brought in a delicious bouquet of like fruit. There was like cantaloupe and honeydew and all kinds of delicious fruits. Do you do fruit bouquets? No, actually, we don't do that at Phil Flowers, but there are some edible arrangements in the area that you could do that. Yes, my clarinet player, actually, the guy that's in my band, sent one over to my old office. It was my birthday, and I loved it. I gobbled it up so good. Yeah, I hear they are very good. Okay, great. Well, I'll see you a little bit after lunch. Perfect. I look forward to seeing you. So do I, my dear. Thank you.
I just want to like hug you when you're that guy. Holy cow. I was in the zone. I don't remember what just happened. You were so in the zone. I don't remember what happened. You were so in the zone. That's how you debate. That was fantastic. That was fantastic. I gobbled it up. I love that you're in a band. Yeah, both the xylophone and the clarinet in the band. So someone else played the clarinet. Oh, that's funny. Nice work. I love the incorporator. I do, too. I love the incorporator. It makes me nervous. The incorporator. It's now the ZJ. I'm an incorporator. Oh, it makes me so nervous. That's so fun, dude. I think the kid deserves a fresh pinch after that. That's right. 570-1949 is our phone number. You can text us 949mikey at gmail.com. What we'll do too is we'll set up a deal or we actually already have it at mikeyshow.com where you can go and you can send us words and phrases that you want Woodsy to work in with the incorporator. It's fantastic. Sienna says in her recap email that she was very disappointed because she's talked about
These little British cookies called penguins. Yes, I have. Really? Talked about is the key question. For like months now. Yes, she has. And they got a little picture of a penguin on them. Yes. And a bunch of M1s, M1s are Mikey Show listeners, have written her, texted. Everything called, everything you could think of. Trying to help so much. Smoke screen. Yeah, basically. They sent them smoke signals. They sent the... Messenger pigeons. The little banner behind the planes, you know. All of it. A St. Bernard with a barrel showed up here. Yeah, not his neck. With a note in it. Note in it. And so Sienna went down to some place yesterday to try to find it, right? Yeah, everyone was telling me to go to this one place in La Jolla conveniently. So on my way home from work, I was like... Yeah, you know, I think today's the day. I could really go for some penguins right now. I'm going to do it. So I went in there. I was practically skipping when I walked in this restaurant. And I'm looking around and, oh, yep, there's the British candy. There it is. I see all kinds of McVitie's products. And I'm looking and I'm looking and I'm looking and I'm not seeing and I'm not seeing. And there's a long line of people. And I'm like in the way, you know, because the products, the little.
British candy is where people are lining up. So I'm like, you know, like trying to like push people aside. People like trying to get out of my way. Pregnant lady coming through. And I was like, I'm just, you know, trying to find some big ones. Nothing. There was nothing. That's such a bummer. I was especially when you have it in your head that you're going to be eating them within moments. I had it in my house. People promised me that they were going to be there. And I was like, They're not. Are they out? And then, so my next question was, am I going to look like the fatty that asked? Am I going to do it? I'm already pregnant. You're pregnant. Anything goes. Yeah, you have an excuse. You want to know what I did instead? What? I saw that they had some delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies. Oh, my gosh. That's fantastic. Can you imagine what it must have been like when she was freaking out and going through that? I can't. Imagine the 911 call that she must have made when she found out that she didn't have her little penguins. No. 9-1-1, what is your emergency? What is my emergency? How about there's no penguins here? No penguins? Excuse me, sir. I'm not a sir, I'm a ma'am. There's no penguins in this British store. I'm in a British store. What? In a British store? What do you mean penguins? Of course there's not. Penguins are at the zoo. Oh, my gosh, you're so stupid. I'm at a British store where you buy food, and I'm looking for cookies.
Mom! Ma'am, ma'am, settle down. What is your name? My name's Sienna. You know that? Well, are you really calling me because there's no cookies there? The cookies that you want? Will you listen to me? I was told that there are these cookies called penguins here, and they're not here, and I'm going to freak him home. Wait a minute. Mom! Can you already send something? A British person, whatever. Send Mexicans spitting out habaneros. I don't even care. Oh, my gosh. I wish Mexicans could spit out penguin seeds. Mom! I have to go. You're so dumb. That's exactly how I felt. I wanted to scream. And what made it worse was there was these two high school girls that came in. One of them was obviously from England, and she had an accent and everything. And she looked at her friend and was like, oh, my gosh, there's every British candy here possible. How did you know about this store? Thank you for taking me here. It's like home. Holy cow. I don't see any penguins. I'm going to go out on a limb. What? I think you missed them. No. I think you missed them. I stood there for like 15 minutes. I looked like a freak. Maybe they were out of stock because they're so popular. Honey, I love you, but I think you missed them. I couldn't have. I think you did. I know what it looks like. It's red and blue. The penguin is blue with the red package. I think you missed them.
Don't tell me. I'll go back again today. Maybe the kid goes with you. Please. I'm going to get on the microphone. Where are the penguins? Megapunk. I know. So check this out. So I got an email that I want to see what you guys here in the studio think. And I want to get M1s to call us. 570-1949 is the number. Or text 949mikey at gmail.com. Mikey just went to my wife's 15th high school reunion up north. And this smug. Preppy chump. Kept talking to my wife all night. Chump. He seemed buzzed the whole night. Weird. Come to find out she dated him her entire sophomore year of high school. His name was... Now, I'm going to stop there and tell you this. I've changed his name to protect the innocent here. Protect the buzz. Yes. I'm changing his name to protect the dude that wrote this email because I don't want people to know who it is. But he says his name was Zach. Okay. Zach. Zach was the annoying guy hitting on his wife. We're going to say that the guy that was hitting on his wife was someone named Zach. He was a Lego maniac. Exactly. Okay. He says his name was Zach and that's our three-year-old son's name.
Oh. He says, when we were coming up with names when my wife was pregnant, I said, what about Zach? And she was like, I love that name. I'm so freaking mad, dude. It feels like I got cheated on, bro. I know you have good advice and just want to know how to handle it because he's only three and I would seriously tell her we're changing his name. If you read this on the air, please don't say my email. My wife doesn't listen, but my friends do. M1 mad. Oh, I would be fuming mad. I mean, I think that for a guy, it's the absolute worst thing in the world to even think. And I'm sure for women, too. It's the absolute worst thing to think about your lover. It's awful to think about your wife. with some other dude first of all okay but then if you named your kid that but the thing is okay i know that because that guy was douchey now he's like that's all he's seeing yeah when he looks at his three-year-old son she's a little douche when you're a sophomore you're like 15 so i mean maybe still listen there's got to be
dirty sophomore. But it's not just that. You've got to have full disclosure, man. Yes. If you say to your wife, what do you think of the name Tad? You would want her to be like, I dated a Tad. Yes. Yes. Exactly. Of course. Of course you would. I slayed a guy named Tad. Just to give you a heads up, I actually dated someone named Tad. Yeah, I used to make out with a guy named Tad. If he was your boyfriend for a year. Yeah, I Frenched Tad. Okay. Creepy, gross word. Yeah, that's right. I would be like, oh, no. That reminds me of my sophomore year boyfriend. Now, here's the deal. Just even if she dated the guy for a year, and let's say she was virtuous, it doesn't matter. She still dated this guy, Zach, for a year. Let's say they just Frenched. No second base, no third base, no nothing. I'm curious. I'd still be mad. I'm trying to put myself in this guy's situation because we're trying to come up with baby names right now. We're having a daughter. And if Todd ever said to me, oh, by the way, our daughter. Yeah, I used to date a girl with our daughter's name.
I'd kill him. I'd kill him. And let's compare apples for apples. Let's say, for instance, Sienna, that you said to Todd, what about the name Melissa? And he goes, oh, I love Melissa. That's a great name. Oh, gosh. Then you go to his high school reunion and some drunk girl is hitting. Hi, Todd. Hi, Todd. I would kill him. I would kill him. And it turns out that he dated her and her name was Melissa. Looking real good, AC. Right? Okay, Melissa, back off. Get it. And by the way, we're changing our daughter's name when we get home. I mean. Dude. Because now every time he looks at his son, he's going to go, oh, look who's here. The little preppy deuce, Zach. Hey, Zach. Hi, Zach. Hi, Zach. Hey, honey, let me tell you what Zach did today. Right. He's going to love him. Hey, Zach, why don't you ask mommy about the story about when she used to make out with this guy with your name. Yeah, in his dad's Buick. Right, right. Why don't you have your mommy? Tell you the story about mommy and the person that you're named after. Yeah. And a bottle of Jack. You're a real daddy. Bottle of Southern Comfort. Let's talk about Big Zachy. Let's talk about Big Zachy. Where's Zach Senior? Zach Senior. Oh, I know where he is. He's probably sitting at a bar somewhere with a sweater tied around his shoulder. Yeah, he feels like he has Zach the second. You know what I mean? How do I know he's mine? Wait a second. M1 Harold, are you there? I'm here.
it's not that big a deal. Really? Oh, wow. Okay, now, I think you guys are overreacting. What? Wait a minute, wait a minute. I want to add that Harold is married to his high school sweetheart. Right. So... Right. Now, she had boyfriends before me. Did she? In age and age grade, pal. Really? Did you name one of your kids after one of her ex-boyfriends? No, he came up with the name, right? Yeah, he suggested it, yeah. Okay, if she came up with the name, now there's an issue. But she agreed to it. No? Dude, she goes, I love that name. Harold, of course you do. You slayed that guy. Harold, let's talk. Okay, I'm ready. Let's talk through this. Let's talk through this. You and your wife are pregnant again, and Lauren's right. You guys were high school sweethearts. Let's say you're pregnant again, and... You suggest the name, and she says, great name, love it. Want to make out with that name, it's so great. Nah, that's where you're overreacting. All right. That was an overreaction. But let's say you bring up a name, she says yes, and then you find out she dated a guy with that name. Big deal.
Well, why couldn't she just say, you know, hey, babe, I actually, I really like the name. That's a really good suggestion. But just so you know, like I did date someone. It was not a big deal. But like, you know, I just wanted to, you know, if that bothered you, I wanted to give you a heads up. And if it wasn't a big deal, like Harold, you would have been like, oh, no, no big deal. But I'm sure you would have been like, oh, next name. Yeah, next. Absolutely. And it depends on how common the name is. Like if it's a name like Mike. There's a lot of Mike. So it's like, can she never use the name Mike because she once dated a guy? It also depends on how promiscuous she was as well. It does? Yes. Dude, it don't matter if she even just kissed the dude when they dated him. No, it does. Just kiss the dude. Forget it. This is making me want to call Todd right now. Every baby girl name that is on our list, be like, did you ever date anyone? Did you ever know anyone? Did you ever touch anyone with that name? Todd God made the rounds. Stop it. You guys may be fishing for a name. I asked, man. Did you? Oh, yeah, sure. When we were coming up with names, I'm like, did you ever date anybody named Luke or Ryan or Jake? Of course. Yeah. And when we were talking about girl names, you better believe she was like, do you ever date anybody named Emily? Yeah.
I mean, come on. We liked that name. We're going to talk about it. Names have such a lasting impression. It's your name. If you meet someone and their name is Sam and he's the biggest jerk, every time you hear the name Sam, you're going to be like, Sam. Someone suggested Bianca to me and I knew a Bianca and she was a B. I was like, no, no, no. Bianca was also the mannequin. in the movie Lars and the Real Girl. That is a weird movie. M1 Kate, are you there? Yeah, hi, I'm here. It's no big deal? I really don't think it's that big of a deal. I think that there's so many common names out there that if there were something really specific, like, you know, I don't know. Sienna? Yeah. Sienna, sure. Sierra, Montana. I mean, I don't know. Then maybe I have a big deal with it, but Jack, I mean, I know. That's a hypothetical, but... I know two Zacks. The one that wrote me and the one that used to be on Saved by the Bell. Other than that, it's not that common. Actually, I've met a lot of Zacks in my lifetime. Plus, I mean, also, how many years ago was she a sophomore? Maybe it kind of lapsed her mind. I mean, it's been a long time for me. I don't remember all the high school idiots I dated. But for a year. But, Kate. Kate. Uh-huh? Are you telling me that when he suggested the name Zack,
Are you telling me that she didn't think of it? She, of course. Of course. Light bulb went off. I have two kids, and I never wanted to ask my husband at the time, so did you date so-and-so? Is this a good name? Listen, maybe you need to make that right tonight. Yeah. It could be a big fight in your future. What's your husband's name, Kate? My husband is now my ex, but that wasn't the reason why we're exes. That's because you named your kid after his ex. Sure, okay. Well, I personally just think that if the two of them agreed on it at the time, then who the person dated in the past should not have any effect on that child or the perception of that child. Well, they agreed. They agreed. I just thought of the worst situation ever for the guy that wrote in. Well, I'm sure his heart sunk, but I... No, no, no. Think of this. He's at the high school reunion. He's with his wife. drunk Zach Sr. comes up. Hey, what's going on? What's new? Well, you know, we have a little boy now. We're married. What's your little boy's name? Zach. Zach. Oh, like me!
How bad would that have been? Yeah, grab my shovel and a bag of lime. Right. Exactly. Exactly, dude. Tell me where the hell that guy went. That guy would have sunk. Not Zach, but the other guy. The dad, yeah. Imagine that conversation comes up, by the way, when he's breathing his whiskey breath. Oh, gosh. In his face. And fawning all over your wife. Yeah, you kids named Zach. Did you name him after me? You did, didn't you? And he taps you on the shoulder. Hey, dude. Guess I left an impression, huh? So made an impression on the old lady. We had quite the romance back in the day. I'm going to vomit just thinking about it. It's awful. M1JDog. Hey, what's up, guys? What up? I think that's as bad as me, myself, and Irene when Jim Carrey has three little black kids and names one of them Deshaun Jr. Yeah. After the one that his wife cheated on him with. Deshaun Jr. That was funny. That movie's brilliant. Thank you, dude. Love you, daddy. Let's see. M1 Rorschach. What's up, Mikey? Hey, without disclosing the name on that original email, how unique is it? Like, is there, you know, Zach's a pretty common name. It's exactly like Zach. It's exactly like Zach. So, like, it's heard of, but it's not a John or a Mike or a Steve. Without saying too much, it's very much like Zach. Yeah.
Okay, so unique enough, but, you know, there could be a chance. Yeah, rhymes with Zach. It does. Not Jack. Yes! No, but Jack is, Jack's common. La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la. Oh. My fault. It's Jack. It's Jack. You weren't supposed to say that. I know, but Jack is a common name, but still. It's a common name. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It matters. It doesn't matter. I know two jacks. I know. I know. See, I will say. I already ruined it because I said it kind of sounds like Zach. My ex's name was Josh, and that's a very common name. That's common, though. Yeah, but I'm saying even though that's so common, I'd never be able to name my son Josh because I'd be like, oh, that reminds me of my ex. Of course. Yeah. And that's a common name. And not even the people you dated, but like I've been going through all these lists of names and I'm like, oh, that girl is annoying. I don't want to name my daughter that. And it's like one person that I knew and I didn't even know her that well, but she seemed annoying or something like that. And it's a lasting impression. It's an association. When you pick a kid name, it basically has to be a name you've never met that person. Right. Or you just, you really liked a person by that name, you know, like, oh, you know, I knew this Teresa that I went to.
elementary school. She was so sweet. M1 Olga's on the line. Hi, Olga. Hey, how are you? Good. Great. I was just telling Woods that I have a story. I've been divorced for 12 years, and my husband and I, ex-husband now. Do you mean Jay? You told Jay? Yes, I'm sorry. That's okay. Woods just looked at me, though, like... Did I talk to you? I didn't do it. Don't confuse me. It's way too early. I'm sorry. Anyway, my ex-husband and I, we talked about if we ever had a girl, we were going to name her Michelle. Well, we didn't have a girl. We have two boys, Alex and Chris, and been divorced for 12 years. He remarried, and he has a girl, and he named her Michelle. So my kids, without knowing the story or what was behind it, he's like, oh, my mom always said that if she would ever have a girl. We would name her Michelle. Did you feel like you got kicked in the gut?
Oh, my gosh. When I found out. When you found out? Well, when my kids told a new wife. Yeah. I was like, oh, my God. She must have felt like she got kicked in. The same thing kind of happened to us. Todd, if we were going to have a boy, he's always loved the name Brandon. Like, always. He loves the name Brandon. Yeah. And so he's like, what about little Brandon? Brandon. I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. And I said, well, you know, you were married before. You have a daughter already. Was that a consideration before? And he's like. I don't know. I don't remember. I'm like, that's enough for me. Like, it's not Brandon. I know. And I'm like, I feel so bad now for the new wife. But I'm like, I'm sorry. It was not my choice. It was your husband's. Oh, man. What a jerk. Yeah. I'd be so mad. That's tough, man. What do you do? What's he picking the music today? A little Traveling Riverside Blues. Zep. 5701-949. If you want to weigh in about that, you can. John Cash. What's he picking the music today? I like it. My wife's irritated right now because I'm chewing. People are still calling about what they would do in this situation. What could you do? The baby names? Yeah. It's difficult. What would you do? Would you rename your three-year-old? But I'll tell you what I would do. I might. Start calling him Z. I'll tell you what I would do. And I'd like to think that I wouldn't. But I'm going to be honest with you. What will you do, Mike? It's going to be weird, huh? Lauren will relate. Because me and Lauren are very similar in some ways. In some ways. In some ways. We don't necessarily eat the same salads, but we're similar in some ways. I would do a thing where I would know I didn't mean it, but I would be like, I think we should consider changing the name.
Oh, boy. Just to get a reaction. Just to get the reaction of, you know, you messed up here. And, you know, I'm going to let you know it by suggesting that we change the name. Well, I'd come up with a nickname real fast for that kid. Z-Dog. Lefty. Z-Dog. Lefty. Stretch. Anything. Bug. Whatever. You could change their kid's name. It would be a couple of weeks of weird, but the kid won't remember after a little while. He's three, though. Yeah, he won't remember. There's no way. How old's Jake? Three. Yeah. So now you start calling Jake. Never called him Jake. Bill. Never called him Jake in my life. Called him Bubz. You never called him Jake? You'll always call him Bubz. I've called him two things. I've called him Magoo. I called him Magoo the first part of his life. Yeah. For the first year, I called him Magoo. Why? Did he wear glasses? No. And he would be laying there in his little toddler-ness, in his dipe. Angel-ness. I used to look at him and I'd go, look at you, you little Magoo. Yeah. He just looked like a little Magoo. And then as he got older, he looked like a bub. So now he's a bub. But I've never called him Jake. Only time I call him that is if I'm kind of... He's in trouble. What do you call him next? Chief? Chief. Little guy. Yeah. 570-1949. But yeah, if I found out that my wife had dated a dude named Jake... Slade. First of all, I'd be really hurt and I'd be bummed and I'd be like, I can't believe that you...
didn't say that when I suggested the name Jake. And then I'd be like, maybe we should change his name. I would do that too? Yeah, for sure. I wouldn't actually do it. Yeah, but you'd have to throw it out there. I'd have to do my own little tantrum. I would be mad forever. Yeah, she would slice him into sleep. Who, me? No. How would you not tell me that? Yeah, I'm going to kill you when you're sleeping. He'd wake up and be like... No, I love him too much. Bleeding out. 5701949. He would be in a heck of a lot of trouble, though. Columbia necktie. Uh-huh. M1 Shayla? Yes? Go ahead. You're on the air. Okay. Hi. Hey, I was listening to this issue about the names, and at first I was like, I don't think it's a big deal, but I started thinking my fiancé and I have been talking about, you know, baby names for a while, you know, what we would name them. We already have the boy name picked out, and we still can't find a girl name because... Every girl name I like or that I bring up, he's dated a girl. Of course he is. Guy's a player. To me, yeah, he was a player in his time. Yeah. Gotta tell the God. Don't tell me the number of girls he's been with, but I bring up every name. Not that you care. Not that you're harboring it. To me, it's not that big a deal. To him, it is because he tells me.
He's like, you know what, Feb? He's like, I dated an Emily. Or, I dated a Sienna. And I'm just like, uh... What's his name? I'm like, well, that's not that big a deal. He's like, well, actually, he says it is because, you know, he's like, I just dated them and one of them was Harry. And he starts telling me stories. So, I really think it is a big deal, I guess. I mean... The guy is not overreacting. It is a big deal. You know, she should have at least said, oh, you know, I dated a guy, like, with that name. And then he would have been his call to say, oh, it doesn't matter. It's just a name. What's he? You know they make decaf coffee now, right? I love her. We can be great friends. Thank you, Shayla. Bubbly. She is fired up. Yeah. See, I had a thing. I've dated a lot of one-syllable name guys. Got a Mike, Steve. Chuck. Zach. I got a Zach. You do? Really? Yeah. Bill. I don't know Bills. No. But what up with those names? Bill. I don't know. Is that more common for, like, I was like, well, I think a lot of guys' names get shortened to that one-syllable nickname, but. I don't know. I don't know, but would you tell your significant other if he suggested that you name? Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah, even if I dated the guy for, like, three weeks. You have to. You have to. Yeah, you have to. Because if he ever finds you out, you're dead. No disclosure on that?
You're going to tell me that? I'll make that right. Yeah, that's why we totally went unique with all our kids' names. I didn't know any names that were like our kids' names because we could not come up with the normal name. Your wife never dated a Finnegan? Nope, never dated a Finnegan, never hung out with a Liberty, never knew a Jasper. Madison's more popular now. Not Madison, it's Madelaine. Oh, never mind. She shortened it. I mean, that's the only thing. Wow. I just know Maddie. You're sitting too close to pepper. No doubt. I got a little pepper up my nose. You're going to maybe turn that mic up? By the way, in just a second, we're going to be telling you about the study that tells us what lack of sleep will do to us. And so we'll tell you that in just a second. But speaking of Jay and his kids, yesterday we went to lunch, and we all wanted to go to this wine place in Encinitas called Kehlani's. So good. So we went to Kehlani's, and we're all sitting in there, and we're eating. And Woodsy goes, that kid's standing over there in line. Jay looks like your son. Oh, you've met him before. I met him a bunch. I was like, how did you spot him out? And we turned around and Jay goes, oh yeah, that's because that is Finn. Like so calm about it. And all his friends. And all his boys. Oh man, we embarrassed him. You could see the look on his face. Like he'd seen a ghost. White face. Jay said too he was wondering if he was going to play it cool and not come over and say hi.
Just give me the shoulder stroke. I was, too. I was wondering if we were just going to get a little... I didn't wonder at all. I was like, hi, Finn. Finn, hi. But he's 17. He came over. He said hi. It was really cool. 18 now, right? Yeah, 18. Shook hands. Oh, he's 18 now. Introduced himself. He was a good guy. He's a good kid. He's a grown-ass man now. I wrote that I was surprised, but I wasn't really surprised. I guess I was hopeful. Yeah. Well, Jay said that after school... Finn came home. Yes, I've been wanting to hear what happened. Yes. Well, he said it was all good and everything. You know, it was all cool about seeing him at Kehlani's. But he did mention that one of his friends, or a couple of his friends, right, Jay? Yep, a couple of his friends. A couple of his friends mentioned that they heard the old man over here, the old dad, talking about Finn being lazy and not surfing enough, busting his chops. So Finn was like, Hey, Dad. What's up with that? Well, you know how it is when your kid's 17, 18. He's like, hey, Dad. Yeah. What's up with that? Why are you talking about that? I felt like I was like, I'm in trouble. Why are you running smack, dude? So, Jay, tell everybody what you said to Finn. I said, hey, you know, you're earning your keep. This is what I do for a living. And thank you for giving me good content. Oh, wow. What did he say? He just went, oh.
It was the best. The whole situation was the best. We're all sitting at one table, the five of us. Then we see Finn stroll up with like 10 of his friends, girls included. And then I was like, oh, he's for sure going to go sit outside. He doesn't want to be near us. They sat at the table right next to us, basically. Him and Jay were like facing each other across the room. I tried not to make too much eye contact because I didn't want to bring him down. There's a girl sitting next to him. I was like, what? It's funny because all those kids, too. I was their coach. You know, they were all, you know. three or four playing soccer, and they'd always come up at home a hand. Now they're all these big, tough, hairy boys. Hi, Mr. Isbell. Hey, I didn't want to mention anything, man, but... These guys look like some hoods. They did, didn't they? Oh, they're total hoods. Whatever. I wouldn't expect him. He is really cute. You guys didn't sell me a jerk? You'd make a damn bag. Gonna bump a smoke? A jerk? Which one of you kids gonna sell me a jerk? How classic would it have been if Finn was walking up to Kehlani's? You know, because they're on break from lunch. Blasting a cig. That would have been heartbreaking. What would you have done? What would you have done? So, okay, I got a story. I'm gonna get in trouble for this. He has a story. I'm just so ready.
So while we were out of town, his mom was driving his car and she found a pack of smokes in his car. And Ben, you know, the mom, she's like, so I took a few and I hit them. And I'm going to see if he notices. I'm like, I'm going to ask him. Yeah. So I'm like, hey, Finn. He'll play kid games. Yeah, I'm not going to play games with him. Point blank, ask him that I'm going to break his legs. And I said, hey, you know, your mom found some smokes in your car. What's the deal? He's like, oh, no, you know, those aren't mine. Those aren't mine. You know, he's like, they're one of my friends, you know. And I said, well, why didn't he take them with me? He's like, well, he'd get in trouble if he got caught with them. I'm like, oh, so you won't. He won't. I mean, I'm not going to give him grief. He knows better than to smoke. You know, it's like he knows how I feel about it. You don't worry about it. Yeah, I know. If they were his, that was a great. Come back. Yeah, he knows I trust him. I trust him. He's active. He's a little athlete. He's a little athlete. He knows what he's doing. Athletes would never smoke. Athletes would never smoke. They would never smoke pot. Well, everybody goes through it. I was an athlete. I did all that. Take LSD when they were in high school. I smoked cloves at one point. Clove cigarettes. Oh, those are the worst for you. I thought, look, I'm smoking cloves. I'm not going to die from these. Those are ten times worse.
Fiberglass. Aren't those the ones that when you lick your lips, it tastes good? They're also the ones that when you're standing out in front of the bar, they stink to high heaven. Oh, yeah. They're so bad. They have that rosy, gross, flowery smell. So they close. Still to this day, I smell one and I'm like, okay. It takes you back to the... Yeah. Give me a stomach ache. Let's see. Okay, so Sienna, tell us the study that came out and what did it say about people that do not get enough sleep? It's going to freak you out. Oh, no. It's not good. Is it that they get fat bellies? Okay, let's go around the room. Don't look at me either. I get plenty of sleep, pal. On average, how many hours a night do you guys sleep? On average, I get five and a half. Five and a half to six. I would say five. Nine. Nine? Bro, I sleep like four hours a day when I get home. How time did you go to bed last night? 9.30. What time did you wake up? 3.30. I bet you leave at 3.30. No, I woke up at 3.30. You did? Yeah, I leave at 4.00. Really? Dude, I make it here in 20 minutes from my house. Sometimes I get naps, though. 40-mile drive, I make it in 20 minutes. Yeah, I'm so sick. But naps don't really count. They totally do. I nap like a mofo, dude. Yeah, because I think the nap... You have to get a full REM site. You have to get at least 90 minutes. Well, I'm taking a four-hour nap. I'm getting like three REM cycles. Oh, okay. Well, I get five average. You get five hours? Well, they say... Sienna, what do you get? I'm going to say six. I'm going to round up a little bit. Okay.
They say people who get less than six hours sleep per night have an increased risk of dying prematurely. A 12% more likely to die early. Really? Great. I told you, you're not going to like it. It's probably why the kids don't burn every day. If you have little sleep, you can develop diabetes, obesity, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Let me out. Let me out of here. Get me the hell out of here. That's great. However, they said if you sleep more than nine hours, it can have the same risk if you oversleep. Yeah, that could be you. It means you're lazy. I'll tell you what. When we were on vacation, I slept. I was sleeping until 10 o'clock in the morning. I haven't done that since college, I swear. Really? Like, I was sleeping until 10, waking up and being like... Yeah, I know, I slept in too. Wiping cobwebs out of my mouth. My schedule didn't change. I was Rip Van Winkle. Every day I got up, I was in Mexico, and every day we got up there, it was 4.30, so it was 3.30 here, and we went out, we were in the surf by the time the sun came up. That's insane. Bragger. See, we were in Hawaii, so time was three hours earlier.
It's three hours earlier than here? Yeah. It's quarter to six in the morning in Hawaii. So you were going to bed about what, noon? You were probably normal, like on schedule. Yeah, yeah, you know, because I try to get more sleep when I'm on vacation. Of course. Everybody should. Are you sure you don't wake up at 1.30 in the morning? I took some Ambien on break. I'm trying to get used to having a baby when I'm not going to sleep at all. Get on that schedule. There is not a lot of... Oh, no. He's 30, 38. How old are you? 38? 38. Yeah. Topper, everybody's met him. Hey. We all know the Topper. See, I was on vacation. I was on vacation, too. Really? I took a vacation. What'd you do? Took a hot air balloon around the world. Did you really, Topper? Sure did. Oh, yeah. Sure did. Look at Topper's eyes. They're all bloodshot. Every time he comes in, his eyes are bloodshot. I sure did, man. It was me. It was Michael Lohan. Really? Who else was there, dude? Chris Daughtry came for a little bit. Oh, my gosh. We dropped him off. David Cook from American Idol. Sienna, you know him, don't you? Yeah, I do. You guys were in a hot air balloon together? Yeah, we did a hot air balloon trip around the world. Really? Where'd you go? Mazat Lange? Big deal, man.
I probably saw you when I was flying over my hot air balloon. Really? Really. Topper is the guy that we've all seen that's 38 years old and has a MySpace page, right? And a tongue ring. You see me probably. I've been in PB a lot. Yeah. Yeah. By a lot, he means every night. I got a couple buddies on bars. Do you live over there? You don't worry about where I live. I got a few different houses. You know that. You're not married. I actually got a teepee. too. What? Just in case you ever want to come over and maybe we'll smoke a peace pot. Yeah, I'm pregnant. Topper has a teepee. Topper has a teepee. I got an igloo too. Do you really? I got my own igloo. Really? Yeah. I got my own igloo. The bomb shelter too? I got a bomb shelter. I got two bomb shelters. Tell everybody what you drive. Which one? I got a Hummer. This is my main ride. I got a Hummer. I got a Harley. I got a Hummer. I got a yellow Hummer. I got a yellow Harley. You know what? I got three Vespas. Red, white, and blue because I'm a patriot. Why don't you pull your pants up? You're 38 years old. Don't worry about it. But yeah, man, we had a... Your nipple's still pierced? I don't want to see it. I don't want to see it.
What do you think of these little guys? What do you think of these little guys? He's 38. Don't encourage him, man. What does that do for you, dude? All right, all right. Stop flexing. This is weird. He's got the picture on MySpace. I got it. Is that baby oil in your pocket? Yeah, and I got an HGH connection, too, so it helps. It helps. I spend a lot of time in the gym. Stop putting baby oil on. Well, dude. It's so weird when you rub baby oil on. Don't worry about it. It smells like mineral oil. Don't worry about it. In the studio. We had a blast. Do you know who's a hell of a guy? Who? Michael Lohan. Really? Really? So, he's really, the dude's misunderstood. Is that who he's talking about? He's misunderstood. I don't know why he gets such a bad rap, dude. First of all, he let me feel up his daughter. That's weird. Not a lot of dudes let you do those. Okay? Weird. That's disgusting. Lindsay Lohan's his daughter. Yeah. And he is a creep, and everyone knows it. So we took off from here, and we made it. The first day, we went all the way to Jacksonville. And I stopped in Jacksonville because I got a good friend that lives there. Scott Stapp's a good friend of mine. Really? And we stopped.
I had a couple of my squirrels with me, dude, and some lady friends. Did the Marlins soar? Those are squirrels. The Marlins were soaring. I had a couple of my squirrels with me. What's a squirrel? It's one of my ladies. Really? Yeah, one of my ladies. I'm just a girl. We called some ladies up in the balloon. I parked it in his yard. Really? And I actually had him sing My Sacrifice to one of these little 22-year-old benders that I'm working on. Ew. Benders. I'd never met her until then. I'd been talking to her on Skype. We've been Skyping a lot. Mikey. Dude, I'll send you the picture on Flickr. I don't even know what Flickr is. I'll send you the picture on Flickr. Flickr sounds so dirty. What does she look like? Coming from him. Blonde. Big jugs. Just like yourself. Oh, yeah. You know. Hi, Lauren. Hey. Really? Hey. You have your sunglasses to the bridge of your nose and it's creepy. And you got bloodshot eyes. Don't worry about it, dude. I had a late night. I know you did. Actually, I call it an early morning. Oh, that's clever. Yeah. Baseball cap to the side. You know what's funny, Mikey? I got one of my lemies coming over tonight. It's a lemie. She didn't believe me when I told her that I knew you guys. I was friends of the show. So hopefully she's listening. She's one of my lemies. What is a lemie? Dude, you don't know what a lemie is? No. That's what I call my little blondies. Because it don't matter how much they see me, they don't leave me alone. Okay?
Hold on. I'm blowing up, dude. I'm blowing up. Your phone. I'm blowing up. Don't enter it. Don't enter it. I'm dead. I'm dead, dude. She's listening. She's listening. She's freaking listening, dude. Who's listening? One of my lemies is listening. One of my little dimes. One of my little dimes. I'm going to pay for that one. Give me your phone. That's nothing. A bottle of crystal won't cure. Put your phone away. He's taking text messages on the air. It's constantly vibrating. His phone is constantly vibrating when he comes in. He loves it. Dude, hold on. This is Scotty. This is Stapp calling. He's listening to. He's got nothing else to do, so he's listening. He's a big fan. I think it just said mom. It did. No, it didn't. It said mom. It didn't. It said Brianna. Here, I'm putting this in my pocket, dude. It didn't say Scotty. I think it said mom. You guys need to come hang with Topper, dude. I'll show you how the other half lives. We'll take my balloon up. Let's go. I got a G5 we can take. Is it yellow? It's yellow. A yellow G5. When and where? They're all yellow. Sometime. Dude, I'm busy today. Today I'm about to go. You're always busy. I'm heading down. One of my boys is having a clam bake, so I'm going to go down there and hang with him, all right? So I'm out of here. Pull your pants up. I'm out of here. He's a topper. He can top you all day. Hey, now. Yeah, he's that guy. He's a walking cliche. Lemur. Such a douche. It's a lemur. I kind of like that. I may steal that. Smells like malted alcohol. Bender.
Bender. Bender, what is that? Who has clam bakes? Who has a hot air balloon? Guys on vacation with Scott Stapp. Sounds like a blast. Do you guys take family vacations when you were kids? Oh, dude. Yes. You did? Yes. Loved them. We would go places for Thanksgiving, but we wouldn't do a lot of road trip vacation kind of stuff. You guys did that? No. Oh, yeah. 100%. What'd you guys, did you, Sienna? Oh, yeah. Did you have to do bad... You went to Bali? Yeah. Tahiti? No, my dad hates to fly, so we would drive everywhere. One time we went to... We were pyramid shopping. You know that. So we couldn't decide between Cairo or someplace in Mexico. We want an Egyptian pyramid. Or a Mexican. Or a Mayan one. We figured we'd get a Mexican one. Yeah. Because our gardeners are Mexican and they can live in it. Yeah. And we thought they could live in the pyramid and grow their albaneros. Yeah. Live in it. Spit out the seeds. Spit out the seeds because they really make our plants grow. We took some gnarly vacations. We had some gnarly drives from like, we went to Connecticut, from Connecticut to Detroit once. We went from. Detroit.
Sorry, sorry. Stop in Philly. Once I knew I saw you down there playing down by the river. Did you have to do dumb stuff? Oh, dude, yes. We have had some of the weirdest vacations ever. Like what? You guys know M1 Hawk. My dad. We went to Australia. You did? We went to Australia. We did as a family. And he used to fly all the time. So he literally said to us one Christmas, he goes, you guys, we can pick. I have enough miles. You can pick anywhere in the world to go. Anywhere in the world. We can go anywhere. I have enough miles. I'm at my limit, and I have to use them. We're like, okay, done. So I go, I threw out, what about Australia and New Zealand? And the whole family's like, absolutely. So we go over there. Well, we got there, and then the old man Hawk realized that lunches were about two bills a pop. And he was like, oh, yeah, this is going to be a $15,000 trip, even though we got over there for free. I mean, it was going to be ridiculous. People. Four of us. And for four people, it costs like 200 bucks to eat? Easily. Oh, wow. Really? We were in Australia. You know what we did one day? What? Went to the movies. Oh, no. This is going to be bad. We went to the movies in Australia. So I get back and people are like, so did you see the Great Barrier Reef? I'm like, no. They're like, did you go to like any of the cool, like the Outback? No. Did you buy a sandwich? No.
No, we saw the Terminator. But God love him, dude. He got over there. And, hey, he's not BSing. I mean, it was... I think your dad pulled a fast one on you because the dollar went real far back then. Well, this is like... I'm trying to think what year. 99, maybe? 99? By the way, if you had real bad family vacations, 570-1949, if you had to do... The worst stuff on a vacation. We had a suburban. My mom still has a suburban. And I have two younger sisters that are significantly younger. So when I was in high school, they were two... four years old, and I was in the back dealing with them while we were driving a three-day drive to Cabo. So I had to sit in the back. I would be changing diapers in the backseat. This is like what I'm doing. Driving to Cabo, that's cool. Driving to Cabo. We did that a lot of times. How far is that? Took three days with babies. I wouldn't categorize driving to Cabo as cool. I wouldn't. My dad loves it. You have to know what you're doing for sure.
Yeah. That sounds like a nightmare. Maybe the kid tries that next vacation. Will that give you a little heartburn, Mike? Yeah, a little bit. When my sisters all moved out of the house and we decided, my parents' new vacation plan was to see how many states we could drive through. So we drove through eight states one vacation. And they would just drive, drive, drive. We'd finally get to a cool campground at the end of the day. The sun's just about to go down. And they'd go, okay, go play. And I'd go, 10 minutes, play. The next morning we'd wake up and we'd be gone again. So I just slept in the car all day long. They'd say, hey, look at this. I'd look up. Oh, look, Mount Rushmore. You didn't get out and you didn't do all the stuff? No, they wouldn't stop. They'd just say, look at it. You'd just drive by it. That's what hell would be. It was hell for me. In a car, not stopping. Two weeks of hell. 570-1949 if you had to do just the worst stuff on a vacation. Stuff that you would never want to do. Like, did your dad drag you to this? Did your, you know, you had to go do this. You had to go do that. My mom's a big fan of the, uh, the gray line tour bit. Oh, like the buses. Oh yeah. You go somewhere and like the older you get, you're like, cool mom. You know, my brother, my brother and I were five years apart. We're like, we're going to go find a bar. See if we can meet some girls, you know, back then. And they'd be like, well, we're going to take a tour around. We went to London one time. We must've walked 7,000 miles.
We saw every piece of art, everything you could imagine. All my brother and I wanted to do was hang out in the hotel and play hacky sack. You went on good vacations, though. I would never. That would be my home. It was awesome, though. I would not want to walk around London as a kid and look at art. See, my dad, anytime we went anywhere, he was like, I'll just stay in the hotel. He didn't ever want to. He was like you, Mike. He just wanted to stay there. I was lucky because my dad worked a lot. So when we went on vacations, he was like, I'm going on vacation. It's time to throw down. And he would be like a big kid. So we would go to like water slides and he'd be like throwing us in the pool. That's killer. Body surfing. It was fun. There's one exception. Yeah, it was awesome. There's one exception. What? When M1 Hawk gets to Notre Dame. Yeah. He's like Donald Trump. I'm 35 almost. And he's like, you need this new starter jacket? Come here, get you a sweatshirt. I mean, it's like a shopping spree when we go. Really? And we do the same tour every time. I went to school across the street for two years. We get there. He's like, got to go to the grotto. Got to check this out. Got to go here. And we do it. And we love it. But when he gets here, he is talking about a big kid. Really? Yeah, it's awesome. M1 Steven. Hey, what's going on, Mikey? What's up, bro?
None much, man. Just getting off work. So what was your deal? When you were growing up, you guys would go on family vacations? I was living in South Carolina at the time. And for a vacation, my parents just decided to drive cross country. Just to drive it. Didn't even stop at anywhere significant. They didn't have a reason? No, just to drive. Let's just do it. Let's just go across the country. Here's the problem with going cross country. Yeah. You got to come back. South Carolina to California and then back. Oh, my goodness. What'd you stop and see? Wow. Nothing. We stopped to eat. We did it. Eat, food, and gas. And then you came back and went, oh, we did it. Great. So did your parents have, like... I got to sit in the back of a truck for, what, a week and a half? In the back of a truck? What do you mean in the back of a truck? Well, because we had a camper on the back of our F-150. So, you know, we put a bed back there, and it was me and my brother chilling in the back just looking at stuff. Indiana. Indiana was the worst. There's nothing in Indiana. Yeah, I agree. There's nothing. I thought of one of the worst things. One of the trips when we went to Cabo and our long drive down there, my parents, when they got down there, they wanted to go out and party and have a great time. So my brother and I, this was before my little sisters were born, they would put us in a Spanish school. It was a school. They did this where they spoke Spanish. And luckily when I was little, I was like almost fluent in Spanish. Right. Don't remember very much now.
And I remember just my mom, bye, like almost in tears, her leaving. And me being like, bye. And she just like went off. Hasta luego, mom. Hasta luego. And one of the times this was like. My worst memory that I remember, I got locked in a port-a-potty at the school. In Mexico. In Mexico, and I was just screaming for my brother. Oh, my God. Taylor! Taylor, get me the hell out of here. It smells like poop. Taylor! I'm stating you pee. I was awful. I don't know how old, like six or something. That's brutal. When I was, I just remembered when Woods was talking about Notre Dame, my dad and my uncles and like some of their guy family friends had a tradition of going to Notre Dame. They would drive, you know, an RV out there. From Jersey. Yeah, sometimes some of them would take the RV from Jersey or you'd fly in and then hop on the RV. But yeah, it was like all dudes. And I was the first girl that was allowed to go. And I was in sixth grade and I was like kind of a tomboy still. And I was like, it's going to be awesome, dude. I went and I saw.
How men actually, like, live and do things and everything. Right. Oh, man. Brush you out. Yeah, like, the snoring and the drunkenness and the fartiness. Yeah. It'll give you a little drinky poo. It'll be delish. So go to MikeyShow.com. Check it out. Why has a town in Massachusetts, Siena, banned water bottles? Concord, Massachusetts. Why? Because water bottles are bad. Lauren will tell you. They said that we only have one planet and they don't want to see it spoiled. And apparently there's other cities that are doing the same thing. You know, they're not necessarily banning water bottle sales, but doing other things to prevent, you know, overusing them. Like New York, Illinois, Virginia, they're all trying to cut the bottled water industry. Did you just pronounce the S in Illinois? Did I say Illinois? You just said Illinois. No more water bottles. Sorry. And so in Concord, they're going to allow the sale of refillable containers for water, but plastic bottles, they can't come out. Companies cannot reuse them anymore. That's great. Let me ask a question. Are you telling me that I can't reuse a water bottle once?
You shouldn't be. No, it's really bad. Like if that Fiji water bottle. Yeah. If you use that tomorrow. He has been. This is the second day I used it. Mikey, that's so much. You shouldn't be doing that. If I use it one time. Yeah. No, it's bad. Even I know that. You just wash it. It's fine. No, it's not. I mean, you could like wash it really well in hot water, but I don't know why you would do that. But I think if you heat that plastic up, it releases chemicals. Yeah. You put the really hot water that you need to clean it. See, here's the thing. I knew that you can't reuse them a bunch of times. And the reason I heard is because you're like getting little bits and pieces of the plastic in your system, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But you can't use it once over? Maybe once. Nope. What I do is I'll refill it in a day. You feel alive now? You know what I mean? Get one of these. I don't ever do two days. It's not big enough. Well, get a bigger one. It's not 100 ounces. Get a 100-ounce one. Really? Get a 64-ounce one. Get a barrel. Just get a giant barrel. Get a big gulp. Make it real right. Delicious. What's going to happen to me if I drink from that? You're going to die. You're going to get sick. How am I going to get sick? There's a lot of germs. There's a lot of germs. I don't know.
People have been saying that for a really long time. I've done it a little bit and I'm still okay. Yeah, because I want to see the statistics on deaths. You licked a dollar bill and you're okay. You're a rare breed. I want to see the statistics on deaths that have been caused by drinking from the same water bottle. It might not be like instant cause and effect, but it might need to. Yeah, it's kind of like asbestos. Yeah, exactly. They had no idea. Cigarettes. Like Aaron Brockovich. Yeah, but asbestos. Couldn't they prove that asbestos did damage? No. Maybe it was over gradual. We were like surrounded with asbestos when we were little kids. We're fine now. Really? Well, my gym floor of my elementary school used to ooze stuff. Asbestos floor. It's not going to make you sick to buy a better water bottle. It may make you sick to keep drinking. There you go. I think if you drank out of the tap here in the city that you would probably die anyway because it tastes like dirt. Dirt, dirt, dirt. I think dirt tastes better. Yeah, I would rather eat dirt. So check this out. Lauren wrote in her recap email. She said yesterday, let me ask you if this has ever happened to anybody listening. If it has, 570-1949-949-mikey at gmail.com if this has ever happened to you. Yesterday, I took my younger brother shopping to get some new clothes. Kid needs some help picking out some new clothes. Why don't you let the kid take the kid then? She knows what's up. Buy him sacks of grain and stuff. She says we were getting followed around by one of the stores.
particularly zealous salespersons. Oh, I hate that. Trying to sell him everything in the store. During his spiel, he said, I bet your girlfriend thinks that this would look nice on you. Ew. That is the worst. He was staring right at me with a smug look on his face while he said this. Ugh. Gross. How old's your brother? 24. How old are you? They looked like the same age. She said, we both immediately set him straight and then had an awkward conversation about it as we walked the rest of the way through the mall. Somebody did that at the meet and greet too. And we were both like, like instantly stand like 20 feet apart from each other. Yeah. When somebody, you're hanging out with your brother or sister and somebody thinks that you're dating or if you have a young mom. I do. You got a young mom. She's beautiful. And they probably, you know, people either think that you're. They thought she was a cougar. Okay, stop. Ew. Why are you selling a lot your mom is? My mom is a beautiful lady. You don't worry about it. Chill out. That would just... If somebody thought you were dating your mom... Yeah, no, people have said that about my dad one time when we were... It was at a retirement home, so I'll give you that. But it was still equally as creepy. Yeah, well, nowadays, sometimes you don't know. I'll see people holding hands, and I'm like, is that girl just too old to be holding your dad's hand? Or are they dating? It's not her dad. Yeah. Ew.
Not a dad. 5701-949-949mikey at gmail.com. I also, I'm like going through some sort of identity crisis or something. The other day, I have a sister that has Down syndrome. She's only two years younger than me, but I guess she looks a lot younger. And so I took her to her Special Olympics swim practice. And one of the other mothers, who was like 20 years older than me, said, Oh, how old's your daughter? I said, What? Schmitt's sister. Schmitt's sister. If it makes you better. That's happened to me a few times. My sisters that are in high school, I wanted... to die. Daughter? Yeah. Well, we look a lot alike. I don't know. I don't know. Are these people noddings? No. I was with Rebecca all the time, you know, where they think that I kidnapped her. There's no feasible reason that that beautiful blonde would do that. There's no way that that girl is with that bald guy. Somebody called the authorities. I think she just wrote help. Yeah. She just mouthed it. She just mouthed help. She was saying hi. Meanwhile, she's yawning. Yeah, she's yawning. Honey, honey, don't look. Don't look.
That bald guy with the tattoos. The guy with the tattoos and the goatee? I took Maddie to lunch. She just said help. I took Maddie to lunch, and they were like, oh, so is this your girlfriend? I was like, it's my daughter. She's 21. Friends that age, I'm like, dude. Not that crazy, that I would think. Maddie's older. She's 21. You look so young. Yeah, but you do look. You look pretty young, though. Well, thanks. Thanks for the compliment. He does. Jay looks young. I thought Jay was around my age. I'm 39. I thought he was younger than me. Yeah. I thought Jay was... I thought he was like 36. Yeah. That's shocking. You guys are way nice. I'm 35. He's like, great. Yeah. Kid looks 60. How old were you when Maddie was born? Young. I was like 23. Oh, okay. 570-1949. You can give us a call if... Anything like that has ever happened with you. I got a guy I want to hook up Maddie with. Stop. He's a good guy. You don't want that, Jay. Yeah, you do this guy. You don't. This guy's a good guy. Jay, are you down with that? How old is he? You're down with letting... Absolutely not. Why? Because you know him. He's a youth... Hey, my friend. I like you. Hey. But you crazy. Hey. He's a youth pastor. Really? He is. It doesn't matter. You know a youth pastor. You know damn well I do. Yeah, but...
Yeah. Sharp guy. Dude, I can see them together. How old is he? 25? F you, Mike. You know I know youth pastors. Do you use that language in church? Maddie's a cute girl. She can find her own. Yeah, she's got her own game. Does she? Yeah, absolutely. Too much. She doesn't need anyone to be spitting it for her. You keep your eyes on your own paper. I'll make it right. I'll make it right. Let's see. New pizza recipe over at Domino's is really helping out. Yeah. They started this, I think, like four months ago, and Domino's Pizza changed everything. The crust, the bread, the sauce, everything. What is happening? Nothing. Keep reading. What's this time of the old month? What probably do we really have? I ordered one this week, and it was so good. I'll take a new recipe with Dr. Pepper. Can I get you some cinnamon sticks with that, sir? No, but you can just give me the cream cheese on top of the cheese. Yum. You want the small, Dr. Pepper? No. You want the large. You know that. Yeah. Figured. Yeah, so about four months ago, Domino's got a new CEO. They really switched things up. New sauce, new crust, new cheese, everything. And now Domino's is doing great. Can you guys just bring raw dough? No, stop. Don't break it. Just pull. Pull.
Did you know that Domino's changed their pizza? I didn't know that. It's like Mike's favorite commercial. Yeah, really cool commercials where they just hidden camera talk about changing the recipe. And you believe that, huh, pal? Dude. It's a documentary. You're such a sweet kid. I'll tell you why I believe it. You're such a sweet kid. I'll tell you why I believe it because they were saying bad stuff. You're such a sweet... Mikey. About the new pizza? No. They were saying bad stuff about the old pizza. How hard is this? Boy, this pizza's terrible. This pizza's delicious. No, no, no, no. You're such a sweet kid. You really are. No, it was like defamation. It was a boardroom, and they got people to participate in, you know, what do they call that? Hidden camera stuff. Market research? Market research. Yeah, it was like a candid camera. And they were like, this is what people said about our pizza. And the reason I believe it is because it's what I thought. Yeah. They said things like, it tastes like cardboard. I know. Which is what I used to say. It was weird tasting. Woods, leave him alone. Hey, make sure, don't go duplicate that key because it says on there, do not duplicate my key. Hey, Woods, he's right though. I mean, you don't have to pay, you know how much you have to pay actors for a national?
Commercial ad? Maybe they got off free. Yeah. What if? Real people. It's not like I'm believing in unicorns over here. They probably do. I believe it. It's probably real. Have any of you tried the new Domino's pizza? Heck no. I really want to now. Yeah, I heard it's great. People are in on it. Let's do it. No, the Hills, guys, it's real. The Hills, it's real. Nobody's saying that The Hills is real. The real world is real. They call it the real world. They couldn't call it that if it wasn't real. Listen, you got to see the commercial. He hasn't even seen it. I've seen it. You have. Really? 100% I've seen it. I bet it's on YouTube. We should play it. It is on YouTube. It was like a sponsored video. What a sweetheart. Well, what they said they did was they heard people say, stuff I say, too. Tastes like cardboard. Cheese tastes like gross processed stuff out of a bag. It was funky. It did. Yeah. I always liked it. You did? It didn't separate. It was all one big piece. Yeah. It was like a mat. It wasn't very much sauce. Cheese mat. It was like a cheese mat. Oh, yeah.
Jay-Z, what's he picking the music today? I know everywhere. So we've talked about this before, but we're going to tell you again. I'll tell you why. When do you keep a sick kid home? If you ask me, you always keep a sick kid home, but... Now we have experts that are giving you guidelines. And I think we should know. I want to know what they say. We'll tell you next. Call 1-800-GO-TRULY. Now, back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Who's that, Woodsy? That's AM Taxi. There you go. Great little fan. They're on the Warped Tour right now. It's good stuff. So we talked about it before, when you're supposed to keep a sick kid home, but now experts are weighing in to tell you. What do they say, Sienna? Yeah, pediatricians are saying that apparently when the little kid gets something like a runny nose, a lot of the time the parents are like, oh, you know, I'll just take him to the daycare or to the preschool or whatever anyway. And pediatricians say that's okay. Really? Because by the time the kid gets the runny nose, usually they've had the symptoms for days. Really? And they've been there anyway. And usually by the time the runny nose hits, they're less contagious anyway. I would think that their snot would get all over everything. It is. Well, they give you...
Three tests to decide if your child is well enough to attend. Number one, does the child's illness keep him or her from comfortably taking part in activities? Little kids. This is making me nuts that this came from experts. I don't believe the experts for a second. I think they're wrong. Please. Healthychildcare.org. Well, healthychildcare.org. Healthy child care dot get. Yes. Yes. Healthy child care dot get. No, they say that they're saying that, you know, if you do drop off your kid, most of the time the daycares will call the parents that you need to pick them up. They're sick. But they're saying they've infected half the universe. They're saying that the daycares are wrong for the most part. They're not well informed. That child has had the symptoms for days. Listen, I agree with you guys. I'm just reporting. The snotty little kid goes to school. Wipes his nose. And he wipes his hand on his snotty little nose. And he touches his snotty little doorknob. And they play snotty little hopscotch. And they play snotty little hopscotch over the door. Hopscotch. They play jacks with their snotty hands. They play four square with the ball. Hopscotch. Yeah, this is preschool in 1955, mind you. Yeah. Yeah, see, they play kick the can. Yeah, they play kick the can.
And they do all that stuff, and then the other kids touch their snotty little noses. Now they're snotty, too. Here's another test. Does the sick child need more care than the staff can give without affecting the health and safety of other children? What's so funny? Well, I'm saying, if they're out there playing kick the cat and hopscotch, and you know what they're doing, too? They're playing with tops. They're spinning tops. The snotty little hands are spinning tops, see? They've got aluminum little tops that they're spinning out there. Out there slinging yo-yos around. Yeah. Oh, my God. Slinkies. Tell me that one again. You have to say it again. The second one? Yeah. Does the sick child need more care than the staff can give without affecting the health and safety of other children? Oh, what? And if he doesn't, then they're fine? No, they're not. They're snotty. Jasper doesn't even know when he's sick. All kids are snotty. No, but snotty, like, germy snotty.
It's coldly snotty. I'm so petrified of having kids. Dude, I'm telling you, man. They say that this third question is trickier. Could other children get sick from being near a child? Isn't that what the number one fear is? Yes, and let me tell you, there are two types of parents, okay? There's the parent like me that goes, if you have a sick kid and you come to visit me and you've been in the same house with them, wear a hazmat outfit. That's me. Okay? I'm like, dress like the MTV NASA space guy. That's what I want you to do. That's me. Me type of parent. Then you got the other type of parent who's the guy that did that. And he's like, oh, quit your belly aching. Get over it. All kids get sick. Blah, blah, blah. So there's two different types. It's either me or that guy. Well, this is from the pediatrician's guidelines. They say that if your child has a fever of over 101 degrees, definitely, obviously, stay home. Of course, put them in a cocoon. The pediatricians get...
Pediatrations. Pediatrations, get lines. Yeah. And if they have, like, one of the really contagious diseases, obviously measles, mumps, chickenpox, stay home. If they have strep throat, they can be back to school 24 hours after they've started antibiotics because it kills the germs. That's what we do. This is groundbreaking. Yeah, after antibiotics. I guess I could have been a pediatrician. I've heard that, that 24 hours after that you could do it. Because then, you know, it's not contagious anymore. Sure, it's not. They can only miss so much school. Can they? Dude, they're in preschool. Who cares? You know what? There's so much learning that goes into that. I had mono and had to go back to school. M1 King Band. We didn't know that then, though. Hello. You there? Yeah, I'm here. What's up, dude? Oh, just on the 94 and just passed the billboard. Nice. Very nice. We got a text here at 949mikey at gmail.com that says, Mikey just saw the billboard on 163 in Claremont Mesa. And it looks stellar. Love you guys. M1 intern. Very nice. Please, please stop saying the word snotty. It's grossing me out. Yeah, I agree. Snotty is a pretty gross word. I have three kids and, you know, six, four, and one. But, you know, I've wiped everything from here to, you know, kingdom come. But I just can't stand that word snotty. It's probably one of those deals, too.
And I'll avoid the word snotty. Thank you. You just said it. I'll avoid it. But it's one of those deals, too, where I may be a little hypocritical in this area. Like a little snotty. A little snotty about it? A little snotty about it. Well, all I know is that when Jake gets sick, I immediately start to question what was going on at school. Oh, yeah. For sure. What the hell? I'm like, what person brought their kids sick? Every dad does that. You know the parents that I don't like, and I have friends that are like this, and they have kids. Their kid gets the sniffles. They're like, I think I'm getting sick. My kid brought something home. You're not like that. I think he brought something home. My wife can barely get out of bed. He does sweep the house. You're 40. You have immunity. Every time you say to Mikey, I think my throat's hurting. He's like. Right. Do you know why that's not the case of me with Jake? Why? Because you know, as soon as I see one symptom, I'm washing my hands with OCD. Like OCD. Take an airborne. Oh, yeah, I do. I take airborne. It drives me nuts with Rebecca because Rebecca doesn't do it along with me. Right.
I'm like, babe, why aren't you taking airborne? Because she's built it up. Yeah. I'm like, why are you wearing a mask like everybody has SARS? Yeah. You can't build it up that much because it slowly sweeps through our house. Jasper will get it. And he's sick for like an hour and a half. And then Maddie or Maddie, one of the other kids, will get it. And then they get it for like two days. And then Kim and I will get it. One of us. I've been pretty good lately. But Kim will get it. You've been great, dude, since we started. You haven't come in. I've had a couple times where I had to take, you know, like cough drops and stuff. Because I fight it pretty well. But, man. But, like, I have friends that you're like. Hey, man, got us tickets to go see someone. I can't. My dog's got a cold. Doesn't help when Jasper runs up, but he's got a snot slag tied hanging down about three inches. He's like, he's not even, he doesn't even know it's there. I'm like, you got something hanging down. Kids are just germ magnets. It was amazing. I worked at a daycare facility. What condition parents would bring their kids in. They'd be like, he's fine. You're like, this isn't hospice, bro. Yeah, exactly. I remember. Do me a favor. I was babysitting a little kid one time, and he was throwing up sick, and I was calling the parents, and they didn't come right home. Like, I had to call it three times. Like, okay. Yeah. He's still throwing up. Not doing well. Is there any blood in the vomit? Yeah, in the mucus. Your kid just vomited on my Jimmy Choo. It's funny, though. Their work doesn't want them to leave. It's just like, even though your kid's sick, it's like, really? You've got to go home? I'll tell you what. I'll tell you. I was a manager.
And I had a girl on my team, a single mom, and I'm telling you 50 times a week. Yeah. I got to go. My kid's sick. And like at the point, and maybe she was, maybe she wasn't. But it is a pain. I'm sorry. Insensitive. Call me whatever. People get fired for that. Dude, my mom was a single mom for a lot of my life. My mom busted her ass. Like you can, there's ways that you can. fix things. But this broad was out. If it's happening too long, if it's happening too much. Every week. Can't happen too much. You have no control. What does your kid have? Take better care of them. Yeah. Well, I mean, they shouldn't be getting sick once a week. I have. With my mom. Mom didn't miss a day at work. Let's see. New York police chief was talking about the Times Square bomber and what the latest is with the Times Square bomber. Here's a clip of Raymond Kelly. It appears from some of his other activities that March is when he decided to put this plan in motion. He came back from Pakistan on February 3rd, 2010, this year. So it may very well be an indicator of putting something, you know, catastrophic in motion.
What's that dude doing over there? What was he up to? No good. Taking classes. I'm a jerk. The local community college. Seriously. It's ridiculous. Classes must not have been that good. Had a couple of tin cans tied together. He reminded me of your Domino's guy. Yeah, right? Sienna, tell everybody about the girl that had a t-shirt on that was indecent. And the judge got really mad about it. Girl from Illinois. She went to court because her friend, there was some sort of offense that her friend was involved in. 19 years old. And she attended the hearing. She was wearing a T-shirt that said something about the female sex organ. And the judge was not a fan of the shirt. Actually threw the girl in jail overnight. She was released the next morning. And the girl was. Just was like, I wasn't even on trial. It wasn't me. I'm just here, and you're going to throw me in jail because of my shirt? That's shocking. I know. I wonder what it would sound like if she called a bail bonds place to try to get help with that. Hi. I went to court, and I was wearing this shirt, and it was like itty-bitty waist and round thing in your face. And Judge was all like, uh, no, I don't think so. And I was like, what? Hello? Yeah. Who's this?
My name's Jenna. Jenna. Yeah. Okay. And tell me again what happened. So I went to court. You went to court. You had a shirt. It said what? My shirt said, itty-bitty waist, I'm around, thing in your face. Badass. Yeah, right? Yeah. That's what I thought. And it's just like, whatever. It's like speaking my mind. And then he was like, you're in contempt or something like that. That's a cool story. Yeah, and it was all tight around my chest and stuff. Oh, wow. That's amazing. Yeah, it wasn't like it was a v-neck and I wasn't showing any cleave or anything. Right. It would be what? Behoove us. That means it would probably be cool if me and you got together. Because you can, like, help me and know somebody? Yeah, I'll help you. Okay. That'd be great. Okay, good deal. All right, well, so, like, where can I, where should we meet? You know where to find me. Okay. Okay.
All right. Thanks. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. This is the new Cypress Hill. So good. I didn't know they had a new one. So good. Excuse me. You're part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. Put my head down because if I hear someone cry, I cry. And Jay. Please grow up. On FM 94.9. This is Fleetwood Mac. That's for you, Covey. Never heard this song. Get out of here. It's on the dance, pal. Believe the lover. I've never heard it. Just give it a sec. I've never heard that. Love Lindsey Buckingham, though. Love Lindsey. Oh, me too, dude. Lindsey's a guy? Lindsey's a dude. Okay. That's right. How about this? If you're a girl that got a high voice, okay? Sienna? No, not Sienna. No. Sienna's got a deep voice. What? I do. If you're a woman that has a high voice, I'm going to tell you what kind of men a study says that you prefer.
What does it say, Sienna? Women prefer the men. High-voiced women prefer the men with the really deep voice. Really? Balance them out. Yeah, and I don't like this study. Why? Because basically they're saying that the deep-voiced men are the good-looking ones and the high-voiced, high-pitched women are the good-looking women. You know, Sienna, that's true. Deep-voiced men are the good-looking. Can't disagree with that one. I can't. I'm not going to say a word about it. What are you guys talking about? I'm saying you're probably attracted to me right now. I'm so attracted. Yeah, you are. Of course you are. I really am. Deep-voiced men have more kids. What's your name, sweetheart? Yeah. Maybe we get to know each other a little more before I tell you my name. Got a story for you. I know. Yeah. What's to do with what city? Philly. Oh, what about Detroit? That's actually the story. Detroit. Oh. The end. Do you know anything else? The end. Yeah, I was just going to tell you. Seattle. The end. Detroit. Garrett does have a deep voice. I'm trying to think of an actress that has a really high voice. Renee's... Yeah. Joy Lauren Adams. She's actually here in the studio. Hey, Joey. I was going to make like 100 hamburgers for everyone.
In a frying pan or on a grill? What movie is she in? What did she say that in? Big Daddy. Her sister locks herself in the bathroom. She's all upset. And then she goes. Remember when mom and dad made like a hundred hamburgers on a frying pan? You're not going to let a little rain stop you. You're not going to make a little rain stop you for making a hundred hamburgers, are you? Dead on. I don't know if it's high pitch so much as it's like baby voice. Annoying. It's annoying. Hey, Woodsy just found some breaking news on Lawrence Taylor. Creepy. What is it? Creepy breaking news, dude. He was taken into custody at a Holiday Inn hotel pending arraignment. Basically what had happened, Mike, he's being charged with third-degree rape. A charge involving intercourse with a minor. Oh, whoa. How old is he? Lawrence Taylor is 41. A minor meaning under 18. A minor meaning a 15-year-old girl. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Who apparently is a runaway from New York City. Here is a quote. She was a runaway since March, and there was a pimp involved.
Christopher Petey, St. Lawrence, a supervisor of the town of Ramapo, told the Journal News she got punched in the face. We're not sure who did it, but they found him there, and he has been arrested. Wow, man. Way to go, LT. Dude, that guy cannot get out of his own way. Lawrence Taylor's been arrested before. He's had drug problems. It seemed like he got clean for a while. I just saw a commercial with him, and he's like, yeah. Clean and sober. Like it's some intervention deal. It's too bad. Oh, boy. Lawrence. Let's see. Oh, Sienna also has the worst words for us to say at work. For us? They're pretty basic. No, just all employees. Yeah. They're words that make you sound undependable, untrustworthy. Like I'm about to steal this, boss. No. Boss, can you show me how to embezzle? No, like, I'll get back to you. That's bad if you say, I'll get back to you? Apparently so, because people need to buy... They're either buying time to avoid... What? What? Did you say that recently, Wood? I say it all the time. I'll get back to you. Really? Yeah. Is that bad? Here it is. Just commit, would ya? What if I don't know? That's another one. Maybe and I don't know. Well, dude, let's join the real world and...
Everyone does, right? Yeah, you have to. Hey, listen, I don't know the answer to that. I'm about to get back to you. You can actually use them both in the same sentence. I'll incorporate them both for you. What about I guess? Now, that's pretty weak. I guess. I guess is terrible. Hey, Mike, can you stay after the show today? I need to talk to you for a minute. I guess, man. Here's one. I hate this one. This is the one that your parents would always say. We'll see. Oh, I hate the we'll see. We'll see means no. Can you get that done for me? I need to get a day off next. It's in like a month, so I'm giving you plenty of notice. Can I get that Friday off? We'll see, I guess. No, we won't see. We'll see. I'll get back to you. I guess. Or a yes, but, you know. Really? Yeah. Yes, but we get every day. And we do it every day. Yeah. We do it. We hear it. Hey, Mikey, can I say this in the air? Yes, but. Yes, Woodsy, but. On the one hand. On the one hand. However. Yeah, we all do that. Yeah, but the FCC will take us off. Yeah, but you won't have a job. Yeah, he says that. Let's see. Is that it from the list? Those are the words that we should not. Yeah, the ones that are worth anything. That we shouldn't say at work. Yeah. NBC said that Conan was lying the other night on 60 Minutes. Oh, stop it. What is that all about? Because he said that.
He was given his side of the story, just basically saying what he thought about NBC canning him and hiring Jay back. I guess they're going on the defensive. What did they say? I guess he was not doing his best not to badmouth NBC or Jay Leno. He was using phrases like, I would not have done that if positions were reversed, when, in fact, the comedian only really lobbed two accusations NBC's way. I don't know. They're just, you know, backpedaling. We knew that they were going to say this and, you know, because Conan didn't make them sound good at all. Right. Weird. A big corporation. Backpedaling? Yeah. Weird. I can't believe it. Yeah. What did Brett Michaels say about his illness? Because he's, this is what we know. He had a brain aneurysm. He's out of the hospital. He's doing better. He's on the mem. What did he say? He was just basically describing his symptoms. He said, I thought someone shot me in the back of the head like a burglar. It was the most severe instant pain I've ever felt in my life. All day, I'd been feeling a little out of it. I thought it was just from the apodectomy and pain medicine. And then when the hemorrhage happened, it sounded like a handgun that literally popped. It made my mind almost go blank. My neck tensed up and I couldn't move my head at all. It's amazing that he can even...
Form those words out. I know. I'm so glad he's doing better. That's amazing. Yeah. You know what's even more amazing is that there's doctors that are smart enough to know what to do with that. No doubt. Because when you think about that, the brain, you're like, how did a doctor ever figure out how to operate on a brain? And a heart. It's incredible. Yeah. It's incredible. That he's okay. That everything worked out. It's a miracle. It really is a miracle. I'm glad because I love the man. Doctors are calling him a fighter. I am unabashedly. A fan of Bret Michaels. Are you? Yep, you know that. He's all right. What do you mean he's all right? He's a good dude. You haven't seen a lot, but I saw Unskinny Bop. I wasn't a fan of that. How could you not be a fan of Unskinny Bop? I guess because he was parading around with that lipstick and mascara. But other than that, you know? Easy, Michael Shannon. That's true. I was parading around with 350 pounds in suspenders, okay? So what am I talking about? Yeah, let's not go. Right around the time Bret Michaels was parading around in mascara. I was braiding around with 350 extra pounds. Sleeping with every hot girl in the world, having a great time, selling gold records. We were living opposite lives at the time. But you were wearing a little rouge on your cheeks. Yeah, yeah. It wasn't really rouge, though. It was tomato sauce. That's the thing. That's the problem. Vodka sauce. I don't like spoilers. Yeah. I'm skinny bop real funny. The irony. Am I supposed to be the bop? Yeah, really. Oh, my nickname's the bop.
I just call it on Skinny Michael Channel. Slobbery sounding. That's my favorite. Obese Mikey voice. Morbidly obese Mikey voice. Hillary's here. Hi, Hill. Hello. I have a theory about this whole Bret Michaels thing. What? I think it's all a ruse. Really? You do? For him to, I think, you know how he has been, sorry, five. Coffee breath. I have it. He wears hats and bandanas always. So clearly he's balding because you do not see him without them. Right. I think he needed a way to come out with his baldness and like reveal it. And it's all a giant. And he couldn't just like wear a giant blonde wig till he was 80. Right. So he's like, dude, they shaved my head. They shaved my head. I'm not balding. And so now it's like I have short hair. That's a good theory. And he doesn't have to wear the hat and the bandanas. wigs anymore. What if there's an investigative report done and it reveals this? You heard it here first. You heard it here first. Every rose has its thorn. I love that. Okay. Every rose does have its thorn. You gotta cry tough. That's right. I'm skinny Bob. Okay. That doesn't really make sense. Nope. Well, none of them did. They weren't really worked into a sentence at all. Give me something to believe in. Okay.
Thank you. Hell, what do you got coming up today? At least she's not a fallen angel. Definitely not any poison. Okay. This new song by The National, they're playing at Spreckles this month. They're a great band. We've played them before, but they have this new record. It's recommended, and I cannot get this song out of my head, so I'm going to play new music from The National. We'll start with some replacements, get on Bad Religion. It'll be good. Cool. Did you say Spreckles? Great. All right, we will be back tomorrow morning at 6 a.m. The Mikey Show's out.
