The show starts off with talk of ‘the bet’ and rules are already being bent. The Geezer bandit: real or fake? 3D Playboy gets The Kid’s attention but who enjoys himself a naked Marge Simpson? Poor young Pepper was Three Little Pig trampled at Disneyworld which led her to root for the Big Bad Wolf. 50 Cent is good weight lifting music according to Mikey. WoS reports on the red hot Padres, “LeCrap” James, and another high school sports age scandal. Giddy Sienna gets her hands on Penguins at last! The gang partakes in a Penguin taste test. I knew it! Listening to music makes you smarter! Who the heck is Justin Bieber and why should we care? A M1 nanny is confided in by a 13 year old girl who’s ready to dabble in sex email is next and gets a big reaction from the cast and callers. “Kiss from a Rose” sealed dude’s fate on Idol. Get it? Sealed? I’ll be here all week folks. Sienna can break herself down some serious American Idol brackets. 4 Myths about Eggs shows how naïve Mikey and the rest of us are. Food allergies are “all in your head” says The Kid. Eskimo Bluewaters stops in and rasps her way through her long list of musical accomplishments, then debuts her ‘original’ new song “Replaceable”! A caller has a dilemma about her husband who would rather sling booze than stay a tax attorney. Mikey describes his experience with vertigo. Topper pounds his way into the studio to drop some French and creep on Canadian schoolgirls. Lauren accidentally slams the mic into Woodsy’s tooth! The $5 quiz sees a certain blondie clean up. Woods is frustrated over his “porn crustache”. The Governator’s audio of his Arizona joke delights Wolfgang. Sienna reports on awesome new remote control toys and a dating site for Apple geeks. Sarah Palin stops by to plug her new book.

Mikey, Woodsy, and Jay kick off the show by detailing the golf bet for the Mikey Show Invitational, noting the stakes of Indian food for Woodsy and veal for Jay if they lose (P0). The team spends several passages analyzing the Geezer Bandit’s elaborate disguises, debating whether his look is makeup or real and why law enforcement struggles to apprehend him (P6‑P10). They shift to pop culture, discussing Playboy’s 3D centerfold, Justin Bieber’s grounding for sneaking out and smoking a jerk, and then debunk egg myths about shell color, organic, free‑range, and substitutes (P11, P44, P43). An M1’s email about whether a nanny should inform parents of a teen seeking contraceptives fuels a heated debate, followed by the story of a 22‑year‑old imposter posing as a 16‑year‑old student and a live performance by local musician Eskimo Blue Waters (P64, P35, P111).

KBCT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Wednesday, it's the day before the Mikey Show Invitational, ladies and gentlemen. Playing golf tomorrow. We should probably go hit some balls. Oh, God. Definitely. You guys say that one more time. Can I come? So true. I thought you didn't have to. All right, now I'm thinking about it a little bit more serious. That you are. I know I dreamed of Indian food last night. Woodsy said in his email recap that he is stressing out. No, they both are. There's a bet. In case you don't know, tomorrow's the Mikey Show Invitational. And there is a bet between Woodsy and Jay. The bet is who has the longest drive. And they're going to be hitting golf balls and whoever has the longest drive.
Now, I remember yesterday there was some sort of debate between Jay and Woods over, it's not going to be the first hole. Yeah, it is. No, it's not. Yes, it is. So where will we do the bet? I say give us about three holes to warm up. Yeah, that's what I think, too. And then we can just give each other a look. We'll go, that's it? And we'll go, yep, let's do it. Can we say that it's the fourth hole? Yeah, let's pick one. No, we can't. They have to be feeling the groove. But what if one of you guys is like, I'm ready, and the other one's like, well, no. We have 18 holes. We have 18 holes to figure it out. Yeah, I've seen you, too. We'll figure it out. Hey, you know what? I'm very agreeable when it comes to this. Me, too. And a winner will be decided. Yeah. I mean, one way or another, it's going to be one of those 18 holes that you guys decided. Yeah, and it's going to be a mutual. We'll be like, all right, dude, you ready? Could be hole 18 if you haven't decided. And you know what? We may get out there and say. We may get on a par three and say, you know what? Who knocks it closest to the pin? What? Yeah, we can switch it up. We're grown men. You can't switch it up. We're grown men. Are we grown men? We're grown men. Yeah. We're not changing the term. Question. Question. Now, if two grown men make a bet, who's going to sink the most free throws out of five? Right.
Can you go, you know what, maybe we decide that we're going to play darts? Sure you can, because you're both grown men. You know what you could say? You know what, dude, let's go three-pointers. We're staying in the same vein. No, you can't. It's not like I'm asking, hey, bring your jacks, and let's see who can pick up the most jacks. So you're telling me that you may decide to not do the longest drive. Yeah, we were talking that neither of us drive that well. Are you kidding me? We're both pretty accurate. Are you kidding? Yeah, we'll figure it out when we get out there. We're going to wing it. You feel alive? I feel alive. A little too much, yeah. A little too much. So whoever loses whatever you guys decide to do, if Woods loses, he has to eat Indian food, which makes him throw up. And Jay, who hasn't eaten meat in 22 years, will have to eat veal at the meet and greet on Friday night. Correct. So we can get out there, man. You know, we may even go double or nothing. Michael. You never know what might happen. Michael. It's a golf course. You have to hold them to the original course. No, he doesn't. No, he doesn't. Yes. You hold the reins, Mike. But we're still playing golf. You've got other people invested in this. There's going to be a winner and a loser. Hey, listen. My only deal is that we've told M1s. Fine, you bunch of sissies. We're going to do the long drive. We're sissies. We're not the ones changing the plans. Not only that, I'm really interested to see what the answer is. Well, I'm going to lose. I can't drive.
Are you kidding me? I can't try. You signed up for that. Why did you make that bet? Because I'm an idiot. Heat of the moment. I'm feeling the same way. Heat of the moment. We both are. I'm sort of like, what was I thinking? I've played golf in forever. Then it's even playing field. Yeah, there we go. Problem solved. Either way, come to the meet and greet because one of them is going to barf. Somebody is going to puke at the meet and greet. I might barf watching one. You want to see a grown man? I hope it doesn't turn into a stand by me thing. If you've ever seen that movie with a kid. The pie eating contest where everybody is throwing up. Oh, gross. The people at Hoolies may not want to have his back. I think that we should change this to the M-E-A-T and greet. Wow. I love that. Look at you. Right? I had to go downtown yesterday after the show, and I passed, like, three Indian food restaurants. Just laughed at myself every time. Like, get ready, Woods. It's going to be you. I had everyone sending me pictures of repugnant, filthy Indian food to my Facebook last night. Yeah. Yeah, just descriptions of stuff. I was, like, laying on the couch going. Since we're talking about what was giving us the heebie-jeebies about this whole bet thing, one of the things that was giving me the heebie-jeebies is I'm like.
What happens if, say, Jay loses and he's got to eat veal and he slices off a piece of veal and he puts his mouth. He's like, I like it. This is delicious. What happens if Woods gets Indian food and he takes his first bite and he's like. This is the most delicious thing. I think he will. I don't see these scales very even at all because I would lose on purpose to have some delicious Indian food. But you like Indian food. But I think he had one bad experience and he's going to be fine. But it can ruin you. It's all you need is one. I had wontons. I used to love them. And I had one bad experience. And if you put a wonton near me, I will vomit. More than just being a bad experience, I think that most importantly, It was his first experience. Yeah. And I vomited at that experience. And I'm sure the first time I killed a baby cow, it was just like a bad experience. So this time it's going to be like so much better. It's like, hey, I love killing baby cow. You're not killing it. You're just eating it. You're eating it. It's not like you got to slice it off the bone. Ew. Does it have to be a certain like meat temperature? Like does he have to eat it rare? Yeah. 94.9.
Yeah, we said that. Yesterday, he's got to eat a rare piece of veal. That's what I thought. Bleeding and mooing. He's got to be fresh on the mom's teat. That's right. That's disgusting. Is it? That's like... Five people on the Mikey Show, myself, I'm the host. Woodsy is the guy sweating bullets. They both are. I mean, every time we talk about it, you see them so nervous. We're sick, dude. Yeah. I'm sick. Woodsy is our sports guy. He is 34 years old. Lauren O'Brien is our assistant producer. And she is the blonde girl with her hair back today. She's got her hair back and a ponytail. And she is 29 years of age. Sienna is our news girl. She's 25 and with child. And Jay is 46. He's our producer. Call us. 570-1949 is our number. And text us at 949mikey at gmail.com. So there you go. We're going to be doing a meet and greet on Friday. It's going to be out at Hoolies. And you can be there and see this bet paid off one way or the other. Day after tomorrow, we're doing our meet and greet. It's at Hoolies in La Mesa. And it's going on from 5 to 7 at night. And we'd love to see you. We're going to have our families out.
You bring your family out. It's a family-friendly place. At 10 o'clock, it's not about kids. At 10 o'clock, it's about partying. But before 10 o'clock, it's open to all ages. Yeah, we'll be there. It ends at 7. Yeah. We'll be giving our new sticker away, which will be cool. You want to get the new sticker? The new Mikey Show sticker? So there it is. Hey, Geezer Bandit struck again. Are we surprised? I'm not. I mean, okay. How have they not? caught this guy. Honestly, like, is anyone else kind of rooting for the guy? No, I am not. You're a criminal. I know, I feel bad about it. I'm not rooting for a convicted, or for a felon. But it's like, how have they not caught him? I wonder if there's copycats out there now. Ooh. Maybe. Didn't even think of that. Just seeing your citizens, they're like, this guy can do it, I can do it. I can do it. He wears the same hat in a bunch of them, because there's pictures of them. That looks like a real old dude. Yeah, I saw that. You know his bit of,
It may be a young guy. Makeup. Have you ever seen Mrs. Doubtfire? That's pretty good makeup. Dude, does the guy work for Universal Studios? He may. That's ridiculous. He may. What if he does? Yeah. Let me see. Oh, my gosh. He looks old as dirt. Mrs. Doubtfire. Not real. Look at that woman. Not real. Total. And by the way, as soon as an old guy walks into a bank now. Right. You know? They're like, uh. I bet you Magnum P.I. could probably figure it out. Oh, of course. Let her take a gander at it. Mike, what do you think? Lauren is our official Magnum P.I. Lauren, take a look. Wasn't your dad or your... My grandfather was a detective. Grandfather was a detective. And so if anybody would know it, it would be her. Gosh, see... Take a look at it. What do you think, Magnum, when you look at it? This picture here looks like it could be a prosthetic nose. And it could be, oh man, it could be a prosthetic chin as well. Prosthetic wrinkles? Look at those wrinkles. I'm not buying it. But I saw another picture where I was like, that's legit. I don't know about that, dude.
Anybody else with me on the whole it's fake? 100%. There's no way. Makeup, right? Yeah, but also, he hasn't been caught. I don't understand the whole thing. You'd be able to take down an old guy. What do you mean? Why doesn't somebody tackle him, you mean? Yeah, if he's robbing a bank. Yeah, no, no, no. But you're saying because he looks like an old guy, why doesn't somebody tackle him? Right? Yeah. It's probably because if he was young, tackle him too. I'm just saying, get him to the ground. He's probably staying really calm. Yeah, he has a gun. Nobody else is paying attention to him in the bank. Because it's not like he's the only senior citizen that's going into the bank, you know? So not like every time someone sees an old guy walk into a bank, they're like, that's him. True. So everyone around him is probably staying calm. And then he probably just slips a little guy and goes, yeah, make that right. You know what the problem, too, is? The problem, too, is that not enough people know what this dude looks like. How? There's pictures of him everywhere. Because until you showed me his picture before. Yeah. But, you know, you showed me right now. It was like I was looking at it for the first time. I'm like, oh, that's him? I've seen it eight times. Okay, but if you work at a bank, you should know what he looks like. Because it's the same picture I've seen every time.
If I worked at a bank, I'd know. Like, you would know when this guy comes walking in. Even, I don't know. Where did he strike? He striked at the Bank of America on Mission Gorge Road yesterday morning at 945. This is what he does every single time. He gets in line like a normal person. He goes up to the teller. He hands him a note. He has a pistol on the desk. And so only she can see it or he can see it. They give him an undisclosed amount of money. He walks right out. Yeah, you'd think if he's going to just very slowly walk out that the teller would have time to tell maybe another employee, hey, I get right there. Yeah. You guys ever hear of a die pack? This time he stepped up. They have the die packs, but there's some of the money that doesn't get hit by the die. Because I just heard a story about this. Some guys robbed some little casino on El Cajon Boulevard, had die pack. And they threw the dye pack money out the window. That was my old. That was right by my old house. Yeah. This time he stepped it up a notch, though. He was actually wearing oxygen like tubes in his nostrils yesterday. Yeah. Are you kidding me? This dude is something else. I know. Imagine the rocks on somebody when they're standing in line and they know they're going to rob a bank. I mean, that's just a trip. Yeah. There are three rewards out for this guy totaling sixteen thousand dollars. I mean, it's.
He's been all over the place. He's been to Santee, La Jolla, Rancho Santa Fe, Vista, Carmel Mountain, Midway District of San Diego, all over the place. He's going to be caught. There's no doubt in my mind. Dude is going to be caught. And my deal is, when they catch him, is Sienna going to say, well, Mikey, you were wrong. Turns out it's 76-year-old Edgar. You know, Thompson. Could be. Or are you going to go, turns out it's 28-year-old Brad Josh. Brad Josh. Yeah. Well, this is another thing, too, which is why I believe you, Mike, and I think that you're onto something, is he's six feet tall and about 190 pounds. I'm not buying that to an old dude. That's a big, big old dude. This guy looks like he's 90 years old in this picture. That's a big old dude. You know what I mean? Oh, I can't wait till they catch this guy. I know. And I'm not really rooting for him. I just think it's hilarious. The whole thing, it's like, really, this guy is so obviously wearing makeup to me. I can't believe that they just can't catch him when he walks out. I know. He just goes, you know, walking down the street. Sometimes he has a cane with him. Like, really, he can't catch him. Maybe he says to them, like.
You think that you're going to send someone after me because I walk out of here? I'm going to slit your throat. I'm going to kill you. I'm going to wear your skin. I'm not just an olga. I'm a ninja. I will kill you. I will take everyone out. I'll ninja you right in half. Mr. Miyagi was my trainer. Yeah. You guys hear that Playboy is doing a 3D version or something? Oh, you know that. What is the deal? A version or a... Centerfold? Centerfold. Yeah, the centerfold in this June's edition. It comes out on Friday. 3D glasses included. You can see this broad. Can't you just hold it up closer to your face? You really want to get it? Yeah, I'm stupid. But, I mean, Hugh Hefner, he needs to get his sales up a little bit. Playboy's been struggling for the last year. And I think it's actually pretty brilliant. How many people are going to buy this issue just to see what it looks like? You're in on the 3D? Just to see if it looks real. Playboy, dude. I started looking at Playboy when I was in seventh grade. Yeah. So, I mean, there's 2D pictures. The majority of the magazine is 2D pictures. But the centerfold's 3D, and it's Hope. She has a wild last name, Dwarskik. Yeah. Anyway, I'm sure she's really hot. She's Polish, I think.
Woodsy. Okay. Glad you got that. You put those little dorky glasses on. Yeah, that's creepy. How much they got rabbit ears on them for sure. That's so creepy. Think about some dude with the 3D glasses. Oh, creeper. Hugh Hefner's been doing some crazy things with Playboy. Remember he did the Marge Simpson issue too? He did? You guys still remember that? No! So weird. She was on the cover, like, in lingerie. It was like, she looked, like, hot. And then they put her in as an animated naked lady. Creep. Ew. Who's that guy? Weird. Who's that guy, by the way? Shit, that issue did really well. Yeah, who's that guy? Woods. Woods is not... No! I don't watch cartoons. Please. Creeper. Oh, my gosh. That dude. It's not disgusting. It's disgusting. It's a cartoon character. The people used to go, did you see Jessica Rabbit? She's smoking hot. She's a freaking cartoon, dude. Jessica Rabbit was pretty hot. I thought Betty Rebel was hot. Betty Rebel is hot. Betty Rebel? She was hot. She was not hot. No. You know who was hot? Ginger and Marianne were hot. 100%. They were people. You know who else was hot? Chrissy from Three's Company was hot. Yeah, you know who wasn't? Bugs Bunny. It's a cartoon. My first crush when I was little was on Mickey Mouse.
Really? Like, loved him. Hi, Sienna. I've never heard anything. He came to my birthday. Hi, Sienna. He came to my birthday. Hey, you. The real Mickey Mouse went to her birthday. Of course. You know that. Walt Disney showed up. Mom! I want Mickey Mouse! And I got him, of course. Yeah, of course you did. An animated figure walked into the room. It was the first time, you know, CGI. Her mom had CGI'd Mickey walk into the room. That's great. I was scared of him, though. Were you? I was like, oh, he was a lot bigger than I thought he was going to be. That mouse is really big, Mom. Isn't that the worst, too, when you do something fun for your kid and the kid's petrified? I know. Money well spent again. Yeah, you go take him to see Santa. You think, oh, this is going to be awesome. Get some great pics. Pee on Santa's leg. They're terrified. You're scared. You're scared. I was so worried last year at Jake's birthday because we got Elmo. Gigantic.
Six foot four Elmo. Jake liked him. And I was so relieved because I was I know, dude, I was so worried he was just going to cry. I went to Disney World. Yeah. You know how they have the parade every time? Yeah. Well, I went to I was like five years old and my parents used to read me the three little pigs. Yeah. Every night. Yeah. I was like. a huge Three Little Pigs fan. Right. So the parade goes by and my parents are like, go say hi, go say hi. Because the three pigs start walking by and I'm like, no, no. I'm being all shy. They're like, do it. And like pushing my back. So I go and I'm this little girl and I can see it so clear. I'm waving my hand and the pig doesn't see me. Uh-huh. So the pig knocked me over with his belly. Oh my gosh. And fell. I fell on the ground and then the pig stepped on my arm. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Nobody draw this, by the way. Make a picture. I was falling my eyes out. People in my family couldn't say pig for like 10 years. Oh my gosh. Can you imagine? It ruins the Disney World trip. It's over. You're done.
How many days did you go? It was, I think, like one of our last days. Thank God. It was one of our last days. How bad did your parents feel pushing you out there? They were like, do it. Go, go. And the pig had no, like walked right past me. And I was like, stupid pig. Oh, that breaks my heart. We have a picture, right? Oh, it's the funniest picture. It's. It's my little head right before I got knocked over up to his belly. Hit the road, buzzard. I have to find that. Hit the road, buzzard. Oh, wow. That's pretty classic. Yeah. Nobody photoshopped a picture of a pig knocking. That is so sad. You have nightmares that are like. Honestly, for a while, that was a hot button in my family. That was a good pick going. Yeah, I bet. I bet. We took Jake last year to Disneyland for the first time. Really tough for me because I was afraid of stuff like that. And let's see if we can hear any of this. Is the audio of Jake? Oh, gosh. Same bit. Parade coming down. Parade bit. He loved it.
You can see him dancing. He loved it. I've never seen him so happy. It's not the parade I remember. Look at that little punk. He is so cute. I think Jamie is going to go with Rebecca the next time they go to Disneyland. It's so fun. They're going to have so much fun. I'll be here in the trenches taking grenades. Hope you guys have fun on your little field trip. I'll be here. I heard about that yesterday. I'll be here. I did too. I was like, yeah, I'll be working. Yeah, we'll just be making it right, bringing home the bacon, I guess. I hope you guys have fun. They say Tuesday is the best day to go. You guys have fun out there. Why? I'll be here. It's the least amount of people that go. It's like the day that people go out to eat the least, too, I think. We got to get to that Club 33, secret place, secret restaurant, Disneyland. Some of our listeners say that they can get us hooked up there. So cool.
Exclusive. Exclusive place that nobody... It's like a secret. You don't even know where it is. I got so excited because I had some tickets that someone from the station hooked me up with when I went, when we were on vacation. So I go up to a little guest counter and I'm like, Lauren O'Brien, slide my little ID across and she goes, oh, are you picking up Club 33 tickets? And I said, no. But... But you can give me some. She goes, oh, I would if I could. I wish I could. I can't. What did you do? Yeah, I know. What did you do? I know. I was like, I thought I was so close. She's like, you would have dropped. Lauren O'Brien from the Mikey Show. Yeah, you're in. For a split second, I was going to be like, yes. Well, Sienna said it's hundreds of dollars. Oh, yeah, you would have dropped some serious dough. Like, I would have just walked in and not bought anything. Be like, I'm good. Yeah, no, it's worth it. San Diego County is cutting a bunch of jobs. 600 jobs. Yeah, the Board of Supervisors approved the plan yesterday. 600 jobs from San Diego County's workforce in the 2010-2011 fiscal year. That's nuts. That's 3.6% of our workforce in San Diego. That's gnarly. And do we know what did you say they'll do?
These people are like they're just county workers, but we don't know specifically what their jobs are. No, they haven't said anything. It's just spending reductions. I guess the savings would be 45 million dollars with those jobs, which is a lot. But it's also like just think of, you know, you want to get some stuff done already. I had to go to. the hall of justice yesterday and there was like two people there and it's just like oh you know and there's so many counters that are just empty and that's been the situation when you go to the dmv recently it's just a lot less workers 22 year old guy posed as a 16 year old guy and took his uh high school team to championship and what's he's going to tell you about it in woods on sports i'm fascinated by the story want to know how it happened why it happened you know those British cookies that Sienna told us about? Penguins? I think everybody in San Diego knows about penguins from Sienna. Sienna's been talking about these things forever. She's been fiending for them. And I got a magnificent text from her yesterday. We'll tell you about it. And we will test drive penguins.

And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I don't like rain. I like sunshine. Lauren. If you don't use it, you lose it. Woods. All I wanted to be was Paul Stanley. I couldn't wait till I turned 18. I wanted to get the rose tattoo on my arm. Yeah. Paul Stanley had it and a hairy chest. Zienna. You know how I like some farting humor. And Jay. I've got bees in my attic right now. On FM 94.9. Man, I'm gonna do my inner club when I'm in that man. Get up! Trust me, homie, I'm not glad to dance for the chain. I said, get up! I can't bring you that California love. In a little New York hate, it's all that they applaud. I'm not playing, I'm saying I'm off the chain. You better follow instructions, I say. What's Mikey playing? Yeah, Mike. Turn down the bass in your car, bro. Is that 50 Cent and the Magnetic Zeros? It is. I make it rain, rain.
A little fitty. Let's get up. I'm doing music today. You don't like the fitty? That song. I'm going to put that on my iPod and lift weights to it. Really? I am. Who are you? That can be pumped up. Where's Mikey? I like it. I love it. You don't like fitty? I'm going to put it on my iPod and lift weights. You never said that. Wait. Tell me that this does not get you pumped up. Not that part. That's old school. But this? The bass part? Don't tell anybody you lift weights to it, but secretly lift weights to it. You just said, I'm going to lift weights to this. I know because I say things on the air. I say things on the air. I could just keep in my head, but, you know. We can go hit golf balls to this. I can't hit golf balls to it. I can't hit golf balls to it because that would be, you know, I don't have to be pumped up to hit golf balls. But when I'm pumping iron. Pumping iron, man. Pump it a lot. Mike's hit the gym. I was hanging out with Randy the Ram Robinson. Yeah. And him and I, you know, were lifting some weights. Sound like Topper right now. Yeah. All right. All right, fine. Don't name drop me. I know it. Randy the Ram Robinson. Yeah, we were sitting in his mobile home. You know.
Taking some HGH and lifting some weights. Absolutely. How scary was all that in the movie The Wrestler? Did you see The Wrestler? Nope. Oh, my gosh. It's so good, Lauren. I'll bring it for you. I'll get it. It's another one of those movies that it's just like, oh, it's so real. It's so real. It's so real. It's dirty during the whole movie. It's like watching a documentary. It is. See that and Slumdog. I didn't see either one of those. Slumdog is brilliant. Because everyone kept being like, you have to see it. Sorry it's not about wheat, dude. I don't watch movies about weed. Don't you? If you have not figured this out about Lauren yet, if you tell her she's going to like it, she wants to not like it just to spite you. Just so that she's like, you don't know me. Don't oversell me, pal. Yeah, don't oversell me. I have a friend like that at home. If a band has sold more than nine records, he's like, commercial hacks, sellouts. No, but I love old school movies that everybody else loves too. When I see a trailer for something and it just doesn't do anything for me, and then everyone's like, no, I thought the same thing, but you have to see it. I'm like, I think I saw all I needed to see. You're going to come over to the kid's house. We're going to have a movie night, and we're going to watch Slumdog and The Wrestler. That's the worst night of my life. You know she'll never do that. What you got to do with Pepper is you got to go, hey, look, you're not going to like this. And she goes, no, no, I'm going to like it. I'm going to love that movie. And you go, this is what you say. You go, listen.
I know you inside and out. I know you better than you know you. You'll hate it. Then she'll like it just to spite you. Then she'll be like, really? Really? Really? Let me see it. Let me watch. You don't know me, Mike. You don't know me? I'll watch that and you know what? I bet I'll love it. That's the best movie I've ever seen. For sure. Does anybody ever do this thing with their wife? I do this with Rebecca where I'll use the same rationale with her and it doesn't work. I'm like a crazy person. I continue to use the rationale. Babe, I want you to see da-da-da-da. And she goes, I have no interest in that. And I go, it's nominated for Best Picture. She's like, looks at me like, what does that mean? I say it to her over and over and over and over again. And the definition of insanity is to continue to do something over and over again, expect a different result. You have to say, like, Gerard Butler's in it. And I'm like, oh, okay. Gerard Butler's in it with his shirt off. Yeah, I'm in. What has to happen with Kim is that, because the same thing goes on with Kim and I. And I'll go, and somebody else will go, hey, have you seen that? She goes, oh, I've been wanting to. I'm like, oh, so when they tell you to see it, it's fine. Whatever, I didn't want you to see it anyway. You're like, I've mentioned that to you 50 times. I know. What's up with that? Want to do a little Woods on sports? Yeah. Find about a 22-year-old playing basketball as a 16-year-old. The Padres not stupid.
Big win last night against the Giants. They beat them 3-2. They beat Barry Zito. Mike, I know you said you ruined Barry Zito's career, but Barry was 5-0 going into last night's game. He's been pitching his butt off, so they really beat a good pitcher and a good Giants team last night. They've actually swept their division rivals four straight games over the Giants right now, so still looking good, man. 20-12, still in first place. They're in San Francisco, so you're not going to get... for not going out to the ballpark. 20 and 12 was great. That's great. 20 and 12 is great. I mean, nobody would have thought that at the end of the season. San Diego, how are you feeling? I'm not there yet. You're not there yet. I need more. You're not going to emotionally invest. Good thing is you've got 130 games to go. I've got a ways to go. Also, I'm stealing this line from one of our M1s last night that I saw on Facebook last night. LeBron James played like... le crap last night. I was laughing so hard on my couch, except we used a different word, but I had to edit it for the radio. I actually wanted to ask you about that. If you think that, because the rumor is that LeBron's going to get traded out of Cleveland. So do you think he's just not caring? Dude, I don't know, but the Celtics came in and they, they beat the crap out of those guys last night. It was 120 to 88.
Word on the street is he played like he didn't care at all. Absolutely. He missed 11 of 14 shots. They lost by, what, 40-something points or 30-something points. The Celts took LeBron. Oh, I'm sorry. LeBron is not worried, though. He's ready to rock. Cut one, Mike. Where is it? Oh, page three. Same place. Nothing there. When you're getting paid that much money and you're a professional athlete, it's like there's no excuse for you missing that many shots. You've got to bring. I even feel like they should be nailing 95% of their free throws and so many of them miss them. You've got to bring. What? You're playing against your division rival. And here is LeBron. Cut one. The thing that you can be worried about is our consistent play. We haven't been there consistently throughout the playoffs, but we're not worried about it. It's a really good team that we're going against, and, I mean, you would hope that you could be up 3-2 at this point, but we're not. The next opportunity is Thursday. He doesn't sound real committed or fired up, does he? But the Celts completely took him out of his game. Here's Kevin Garnett talking about LeBron. Look at his status.
You know, he's so damn good that, you know, some of the teams were just trying to slow him down. It's cool. Lightsaber. To where you see, you know, a group and a crowd, you know, contested shots. It's just a lightsaber. Nothing we haven't been doing since we started the series. Pulled a lightsaber out in the middle of that. He did. Not appropriate. He did. Here's a little update on a couple stories we talked about yesterday. Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. He may lose his defensive rookie of the year. Well, I found out what the guy was taking. Why? He was taking HCG, and it's a fertility drug. And he says he has no idea how that happened. Weird. And apparently the substance is taken by steroid users to help restart natural testosterone production. Same thing Manny Ramirez got popped for 50 games for. How do these guys think that they're going to be able to do it and not get busted now? I know how. It just occurred to me as I asked the question. Because I think that there's a bunch of these guys that are like... on the cutting edge of not getting caught. And so they spread the word to their buddies. They're like, hey, I found some stuff. You can take this. You won't get popped for it. Like a dummy, they'll do it and they get popped. Is there random testing or is it usually pointed? I don't know. It is. I know how it works. Yeah, what happens is they show up to their locker and they get a note in there. And the note says, report to blah, blah, blah at two o'clock. But is it random or is it based on suspicion? Totally random. Totally random. But when I say random,
It could be based on suspicion and they are just saying it's random. Because I wonder how many, what percentage of baseball players are actually doing this versus the percentage that are just getting caught. This guy's a football player. And the thing that gives me the big beef is that baseball just got fillet for this for years now. Also, we talked about Ken Griffey Jr. taking a nap. at the ballpark in the middle of the game. Snoozing. He has come out, along with his manager, and said it's complete fabrication, but it's from two unnamed Mariner players, okay? Yeah. And they asked him about it, and he said, anything else you want to ask me? Okay, so he didn't really answer the question, and his bit now is, I want to know who said it. I want to know, they better be man enough to come to me. They said it didn't happen, so I really don't buy it. He wants to know where the gold's at? Yeah, he wants to know where the gold's at. The new NASCAR Hall of Fame has opened in Charlotte, North Carolina. I really can't wait to never go there. Wow. Wow, Woodsy. Finally. Why? Come on, dude. Nothing interesting to you about it? Dude, I don't drive a pickup. I went to college. Come on, dude. A weird story out of Texas. There was a high school kid led his team to the state playoffs last season for Odessa Permian from Friday Night Lights fame. Yeah.
Guess what, dude? The guy was 22 years old. His name is Guerdwitch Montemir. He's from Haiti. He's a naturalized U.S. citizen. He posed as 16-year-old Jerry Joseph. And he enrolled in Odessa Permian, presented himself as homeless to the coach there. The coach took him in. This devastated their entire community. Well, he was arrested at the school yesterday for presenting false ID. To a peace officer. Obviously. Obviously. Obviously what happened here, in my mind, is that a competing school went, I don't know about that kid. Well, you know what happened? He went to, he played in a tournament. And these coaches from Florida were like, we know that dude. We've seen that guy before. And they started raising the red flags. Sure enough, man, the guy's 22 years old posing as a sophomore or junior in high school. 16 year old. See, maybe I'm living in, like, movie world, but I kind of thought that, not that this is common, but that kind of stuff kind of happens. Really? I don't know. That's weird. Where somebody walks onto a high school and says, I'm homeless. Maybe not that part of it.
But that you've got older guys posing as younger guys from other countries and stuff. Well, I'll tell you what. I played in Little League against a kid. I swear he had a mustache and drove to the games. That's how your wife and kids were watching from the stands. Yeah, there's always those players. He threw about 90 and he drilled your boy twice in the same game in the butt. He knocked over a fence in the outfield running for a ball. grown man. He's in my grade. He came to a brick wall yelling Kool-Aid. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Driving a Camaro there, blasting cigs. He hit replacement and he played Little League. Yeah, exactly. It was crazy. Wow. That is Woods on Sports. Okay, so Sienna finally found them. She's been talking about this forever. She's clutching her bag. Sienna took a trip one time to England and... Weird. All her friends said, you've got to try these things, penguins. They're these cookies. And she did, and she loved them, and she can't find them anywhere in the States. Well, M1's Mikey Show listeners have been telling her, try this place, try this place. She went to a couple places and didn't find any. She's like, great. This is really great. Then people started writing her, and they were telling her, oh, I get them all the time. And she's like, can you stop telling me and start sending them? Well, nobody did. No, I had two people from London that were like, I'll send them to you. And I was like.
Thank you. People in London. Yeah. So do you want to tell people where you went? Yes. Where'd you go? I went to the World Market in La Jolla, like right off Nobel, La Jolla Village Drive. And you guys. This is me. I was getting pumped up for this. I'm in the car. I'm driving over there. I'm like sending out the good vibes. I'm like, they're going to be there. They're going to have them. They're going to be there. They're going to be there. And it's going to be a great rest of my day. Like, this is going to be awesome. I pull in there and I see this girl walk out with British candy. I'm like, it's a sign. It's a sign. Done deal. She had those like flakies is what they call it. I was like, they're totally in there. Right. I get there. I look by the candy, the British candy. I don't see it. I don't see it. Oh, dude. I'm like, they're not here. I see the candy the girl walked out with. Yeah. Then I go to another aisle where they keep, like, more of the biscuits, the cookies. They were there. Sweet. If only a camera had my expression captured. I was like, play it cool. Play it cool. Are you just so happy? How many did you buy? Three packs. Why wouldn't you buy, like, 50 packs? Yeah. Because she knows where they are now. Yeah, and I didn't want to be, like, that big pregnant girl that's like, I like cookies.
Okay, but each pack comes with nine individual cookies. And so I have some cookies for you guys. I can't wait. I feel oversold now. Are they even really called penguins? Are they really called that? Yes. They are? I thought they just had a penguin on the... They're called penguins. I feel oversold. So, and I was, you know, like... You better be good. You better be real good. I haven't had a penguin in like five years. Like, that's how long it's been. All right. And so I got in my car and I ate one and I... And I took the first bite. I was like, oh, yeah. And then I was like, is this as good as I remember? Really? But then I was like, no, no, it's amazing. And then I had another one, of course. And I was like, yes, it's delicious. Can we have the cookies already for gosh sake? For gosh sake. That's the deal? Wait, is this how they actually sell them? Yeah, well, they come in a pack of nine and they're individually wrapped. It's so cute. Here, give one to Chris, too. I only have five, but he can have mine. Milk chocolate. Pick up a... Penguin. That must be like the... It's a chocolate-covered cookie, and it has like a wafer cookie in it. Oh, this is just like a Tim Tam. Exactly like a Tim Tam. And it has chocolate cream in the middle. Here we go. Let's see. Wait, I'm going to use it like a straw. Wait, no, I'm not going to. No, just take a bite. Jay, what do you think? He's chewing. Wow. They're good? Mmm. Delicious. Mikey's taking a bite.
I'm nervous. Pretty dang good. They're delicious. Pretty good. This is just like a Tim Tam. Chocolate on the outside, wafer and brittle and crunchy and cookie-ish on the inside. But what's really interesting about it is that it's all chocolate. It's two chocolate wafers. It's brittle. It's good. It's not brittle. It is brittle. There's no brittle, Mike. Brittle is a texture. It's not an actual product. Really? Yes, ma'am. There's no brittle. Brittle is like that hard candy that comes with peanuts in it. What's happening? Brittle is an adjective. Peanut brittle. That's pretty good. Yeah, peanut brittle. I'll eat it if you're going to complain. Yeah, I mean, it's good. Peanut brittle is a candy. You are a jerk. It's not. I mean, it's okay. Peanut brittle is a candy.
But brittle is a way to describe something. Okay. Oh, that's brittle. Like my hair is brittle. Yeah, his hair is brittle. Okay. But I thought you meant it was like the candy stuff that's in peanut brittle. That's pretty good. That's real good. If I was at the store, I'd buy that. Yeah. What I don't get, this is what I don't understand. When something's real good, how come they don't... Why can't you get this here? I know. I want them at Vaughn's. There's a joke on here. A what? A joke. Really? I think maybe we all have different jokes. On the packaging? Where do penguins go to dance? Where? Snowball. Oh, boy. Oh, wait. Who's the penguin's favorite ant? Who? Antarctica. That's good. I love it. Do you guys like them? I love them. They're pretty good. I would. I got a joke. What? I got a joke, too. What's yours? Would the penguins sing on a birthday? What? Freeze a jolly good fellow. Oh, freeze. Freeze a jolly good fellow. I get it. I love it. Classic. It's good. It's good, Sienna. I like them. It tastes pretty ding good. 570-1949 is our number.
She found them at World Market? World Market, yeah. An M1 wrote me and he says, look, I work at a World Market. They're called like World Market Cost Plus. They have the coolest stuff in there. And an M1 emailed me and said, look, I work there. You need to go. And look, there's one in La Jolla. So I did and I found them. You found them. I had four yesterday. They're like a little bit bigger than an Oreo. They're not that big. Funnily enough, these are actually made in Akron, Ohio. Yeah. Can you imagine? Yeah. Okay, so what is the latest with the BP and the oil leak and all that? What's the latest with it? Well, they went to, they had a big hearing yesterday. I'm looking for the article, sorry. That's all right. Yesterday, I know that it was a big deal because they all got together and had their opportunity from BP to say, here's what we did. Yeah, well, the executive spoke out and testified before the Congress yesterday. And basically the Senate lawmakers slammed them, obviously, over their attempts. You know, they were attempting to blame each other and they were asked why they hadn't been better prepared to deal with the disaster. And the chairman of BP repeatedly said his company would pay for the cleanup costs and all the legitimate claims for damages and would not try to be limited to any existing federal cap or an existing federal cap of the $75 million of damages.
But, I mean, they're just making excuses. They're like, look, you know, we have this smaller containment box that now we're testing and it's being submerged. It will be submerged in the water as of Thursday. Because, remember, they had a bigger containment box to try to get all the oil. And then that one got clogged. Dude, if I'm one of those congressmen, my question is, hey, guys, how come you guys didn't have a plan? Why did you essentially walk into a public park? And pour a bunch of motor oil all over it and then say to us, oh, don't worry, I'll flip the bill. How about not pouring motor oil all over the park? And my question is, yes, hold them financially responsible, but... If they're the ones that got us into this mess, should we really be relying on them to come up with the solution? Yeah, because their solutions aren't even working. I know it. I mean, shouldn't we kind of be, I mean, I guess they're the experts in that area, but shouldn't we be stepping in and being like, all right, you guys, you screwed it up. Get out of the way and we'll send you the bill. We like the Mikey show.
What's that? Shouldn't we, like the Mikey show, be stepping in? No, as a country. Maybe we step in. Yeah, maybe the four of us get together and brainstorm. Then we throw it to Jay and he builds whatever we come up with. I'm already on it. He's on it already. Seriously, just be prepared. There's a study that says that listening to Mozart doesn't make you any smarter, which is really disappointing. You've heard that before, right? That Mozart makes you smarter. That was a big thing. Classical music. It's a bit. It's on babies. swings and things like that now too and you're supposed to listen to it. Jake takes a nap to Mozart. Everyone's been telling me, yeah, the baby Einstein. I should be holding the headphones up to my stomach and the baby's going to be a genius. I haven't done it yet. There's been another study out of Vienna University and they tested over 3,000 individual cases. 40 different studies over years and years and they found out no. That's not true. Listening to Mozart doesn't do anything. In fact, if you listen to Mozart, if you listen to Pearl Jam, if you listen to Miley Cyrus, if you listen to music, it helps your chances of being smarter. It does. You test better, I guess, but Mozart, just listening to that doesn't make you any smarter than listening to Miley Cyrus while you're taking a test. I don't believe that, by the way. I think it does. No, I still think it does, too. It has a calming effect. Yeah. Doesn't change your brain? No.
How can music that gets you pumped up, how can that have an effect, but music that, you know, chills you out? That doesn't chill me out. Really? Yeah, no. Mozart, yeah, because you don't like it, right? I mean, I appreciate it. I appreciate the difficulty and the beauty of it, but I'm not going to be like, I'm going to have my Mozart and Chopin today. I have to have it. You never say to yourself, let me get my Chopin on? Never. Never. I work out to it sometimes. Really? Get all pumped up. It's a bit. I would fall asleep. It's not a bit. It's a bit. It's not a bit? It's not. You really do work out to it? Sometimes. It depends on, if I'm going to go for a really long run and I don't want to be pumped up, I just want to kind of zone out. No way. Classical music. I wish I had my iPod with you. Yeah, with me. I have a little playlist. Oh, my gosh. And another. Yeah, another brick falls. That's not another brick. It is. It's learning more about you. We're getting to know more about you. Had no idea that you would run to classical music. If it's going to be a long, mellow, like, I'm just going to stroll. Chill out. Yeah. That's it. I wanted to prove it. I have to find out. That would, I mean, I can't imagine being, like, pumped up. Like, yeah, I got to keep running.
You're like, it's not a pump. It's not a pump. Stop and get some tea. Sometimes, well, I used to do it more often, but I go for a run for like an hour, and you just want to be like mellowed out. You run in the same gown the queen actually presents herself to the commoners in, which is amazing. It's really gorgeous when she's doing it. Four myths about eggs. When we come back, I'm going to tell you four myths about eggs. It's that new Breaking Benjamin song. Give me a sign. And also... I don't really know who Justin Bieber is. I'm going to tell you one time. I wish I didn't. He sings that song. All I know is that he is a pop cultural phenomenon. So we want to tell you what pop culture stuff is a big deal. I don't know who he is, but here's what I know. He's still a teenager, right? 16, I think. Yeah. He went to dinner with Miley Cyrus a couple nights ago. Well, he was talking about, I guess he got.
I can't believe I'm about to say this out loud. When we come back, I'll tell you why he was grounded. Now, I want to know why, how, what, if you're a big pop star, you've sold millions of records. What do you get grounded for? Rules still apply. Sneaking out, bro. Maybe sneaking out. Yeah, rules still apply. All right. Got caught smoking a jerk. You're smoking a jerk. We'll find out. Mikey Show now. I'm ready. Call 570-1949. I'm going on to shoot him a text. 949 Mikey. I guess I was a little confused about that part. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. And in the Bay Area, if a big concert came to town, and it had to be the biggest of the big. If Van Halen played four nights, which they often did. Wow. When I was growing up, yeah, they would do concerts that would last four days. They would play for four nights in a row. What's that like? Dude, it was such a trip. And in San Francisco, the biggest venue in town sat 20,000 people. Yep. The Cow Palace. Wow. It's still there to this day. They still do shows there.
The Cow Palace. That was the name of it. And the reason is, it looked like a gigantic, and when I say gigantic, it looked like a hangar. It was like a barn. That's awesome. Good venue? The venue. That's cool. Good venue. Was it good? Incredible. It was gigantic. I mean, it freaked you out. I mean, if Metallica or Duff Leppard or Van Halen was coming to town, it was a cow palace. ZZ Top was at the Cow Palace. So I always think of the Cow Palace when I hear the ZZ. Did you go see them? I got grounded and I couldn't go. What did you get grounded for, Cubs? Grades. It was always about grades. My deal was always grades. Really? No, because I wouldn't apply myself. I can feel your pain, pal. You didn't either? Oh, dude, come on. You know that. See, that's the thing. Both Woodsy and I are the same in that if we had applied ourselves, straight A's. Probably wouldn't be sitting here right now. Yeah, we'd be at NASA. But we'd be unhappy.
Yeah, we'd be very unhappy. Both of us would be working at NASA, but we just wouldn't be digging it. I applied myself and I'm sitting right across from you. That's true. Lauren was like a goody two-shoes. You were. You went to college and applied yourself. I didn't apply myself at college. I applied myself to get to college. You did? I barely skated through college. And I mean by the skin of my teeth. In 60 seconds, we're going to find out how Justin Bieber gets grounded. And I'll find out who Justin Bieber is. Did your parents, Lauren, teach you how to study? No. I was the worst studier ever known. Ever. Ever. I think I've asked you this question, too, before, Woods. But, okay, so you got good grades in high school. Mm-hmm. What was your average? In high school? A, B, C. A. A. You had an A average in high school? Really? You had an A average. I don't know. It was like three.
Like 8.5 or something like that. That's an A average, right? A average. Okay. Or A minus, I guess. So here's my question for you. Did your parents say, you need to sit down? No. Nope. You just did it. Well, here's the thing. High school came really easy to me. All that stuff came easy. It was just, you know, just like did stuff. But I never, it was like. I would go to school, and then sports came after that, and then chores came after that, and then homework was like a last bit. How did they keep you accountable to the homework? Because my parents, they didn't? See, then you know what that tells me? Everybody listening to this applies to, even if you're 22 years old, you're listening to this because you're going to have kids one day. What it tells me is that it's kind of who your kid's born to be. I was not born to be that. No, but to this day. I procrastinate. Yeah, but you kept yourself accountable. You got the grades. I didn't. I watched Three's Company. Oh, I watched Three's Company. But I watched Three's Company and didn't do the homework. I would be doing it on the bus, like, as the teacher was walking around feverishly. Like, I would get it done, but it would be, like, skating by, which is what I do know. I know what happened. I know what happened. When grades came out, were your parents looking for them?
Oh, yeah. See, my parents never showed any grades. Really? No. You never had to bring your report card home? If I did, you know, I mean, in high school, that was not an issue. It gets mailed to you in high school. I used to doctor mine. You used to have to have a signature from the parents that said, I saw this report card. Not in high school, I don't think. Yeah, forged. I used to doctor my grades. Not in high school, no. Oh, boy. I think it has a lot to do with teachers. I mean, my kids have had great teachers, and it made them great students. They learned how to study. I mean, I didn't really have all that. I went to a school where they didn't really. I studied running and track and everything else. Girls. I studied everything about school. I still, to this day, don't know what studying is. Like, I got to college. It means doing your homework. No, no, no. But in college, it would be like, oh, I studied for like four hours. It wasn't like you had an assignment due the next day. It was like reading and making flashcards and making notes. But I had no. I would start reading and get to the end of the page and be like, I don't know. What I just read. I have no idea. I love to read. I can read the whole book, but it's just never translated. Sienna, how old is Justin Bieber? I believe he's 16. Really? Yeah. Here we go. I was about to start singing. This is his new song, right? Me, plus you. No, it's his first hit that came out. And the thing about Justin Bieber... It's called One Time, but I'm sorry, but when I first started playing that, I was like... I'm in. That's from...
I'm going to go to the bathroom. I was like, that's from 1992. No. Sounds like a Lindsay Lohan's new song. Britney Spears or something? Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-huh. I'm getting a picture for you. Cecilia, she's shaking it over there. If there was a pole, she'd be all over it. Oh, shit. No way. Woodsy says that this kid was discovered on YouTube. It was. Usher. YouTube. Usher found him. That's amazing. Put him on his label. That's amazing. That's how Lauren O'Brien was discovered. That's right. I found her on YouTube. You want to see a pic of this little guy? Sure. I swear. I think he weighs like 110 pounds. If that. Let's see. Turn the computer around. Oh, he's a little white kid. He's just a little guy. Skinny little white kid. Long hair. Well, when we talked about Justin Bieber for the first time on the show.
I was like, I went home and I tried to do a little research, get involved in pop culture. Went on YouTube and I looked him up. And the stuff that he was doing before he got all auto-tuned was actually kind of like, it wouldn't make me as a record label be like, we got to have that kid. But it was more entertaining than what he's doing now. He knows how to play the guitar. And he's got like soul for being this little skinny white kid. Really? I feel like they've just made him into a little. Little Usher. Yeah. I met him. He's, like, just this little guy. Gave him a little hug. He's nice. Here he is. He nestled right between those little guys. He nestled right between them. Gave him a big old hug. Yep. Motor motor. Here he is talking about getting grounded. So when you get grounded, what happens? What happens when you get grounded? Well, because I'm traveling so much. Yes. My mom, like, takes things that, like, I really like, like my computer and my phone. Yeah. Like, she takes my phone for, like, a couple days, and I'm like, ah. She kicks the hookers out of my room. It's crazy. So you don't get to say, Mom, I can't get grounded. I'm Justin Bieber. She'll slap me in the face. Wow. He sounds cute. He said in an interview that he thinks Kim Kardashian is so hot.
And Kim Kardashian and him, like, now tweet every once in a while. You know, she's probably just like, oh, he's cute. No, they'll be dating. No, no, no. They're not going to be dating yet, right? They'll have a sex tape in, like, six weeks. I know. No, but Kim Kardashian, because Justin Bieber said that, she's been getting hate mail. And death threats. And death threats and stuff like that. Like, crazy. It's been all over the media. Little girls are writing and death-threading her? Yeah, because Justin Bieber thinks she's so hot. It's no different than when we were kids, though. Stephen was. I'm moving to Brazil. But, Woodsy, wasn't this the same deal that happened with... New kids on. Yeah, and this reminds me of Jonathan Taylor Thomas when I was little. I guess because she didn't hear about it. It's worse in Europe. We didn't have the internet. Remember? People are more star crazy in the UK and stuff. Well, you'd see these nerdy girls with their new kids shirts and you're like, whatever. You don't even know who these clowns are. And now you're just saturated. You were saturated then. You just didn't have the accessibility that you do with the internet now. Well, you know what else didn't happen? What? You didn't have 13-year-olds. Mailing death threats. I know. You had 13-year-olds crying. That's happened since the Beatles, Elvis, you know, the whole bit. Death threats? When I met Justin Bieber, it was before he got really big at the old station that I worked at. And I was like, told my little sisters who were in high school, you know, there's this guy coming in. He's really cute. He's about your age. His name is Justin Bieber. And they're like, I don't know who that is. Literally two weeks later, they're like, is he coming back again? Like, they love him. You missed the boat.
I was like, yep, you should listen to me. Sorry. Sorry, Waverly. I know. Sienna. When you look out, you're standing on stage performing or you're looking out your balcony window and the girls are just like screaming and crying and crying and falling. I heard in Austin. Why do girls? What? Why do girls cry? I don't know. Did you cry, Sienna? No. Why do girls cry? Over. Pop stars? No, when the pop star's there and they begin to cry, why are they crying? It's like they cry over Edward Cullen. They live in a fantasy world that they think, yes, he is singing you plus me to me. I think they get so emotional that their emotions get mixed up and it's like excitement and nervousness. That happened to me when I was a kid. When I was real, real little. My brother was playing music and it was the first time I'd ever seen him perform live and I started to cry. That's badass. I'd never seen that happen. Was he playing a gig? Yeah, he was in a band, you know, like a, back in the day at the high school that he went to, there was a band in the school that would sing pop songs, like Glee. They would sing pop songs. And they were, at the time it was Chicago, like that kind of stuff. Yeah, that kind of stuff. Dude, that was one of the songs they sang.
And I got to go with my parents and everything. And he had a deal where he got to play all by himself because he's a real talented cat, my brother, Steve. Oh, dude, he plays everything. He plays drums. He plays guitar. And he's good. He's a really good, talented guy. And he started to play. And I was a kid. And I started crying. That's awesome. That's your brother. And I don't even know why. Because that's your bro. You're proud. That happened to me, too. Me and my sister. My sister has that. musical talents, which I do not. Yeah. And we were like, I was a freshman. She was a senior. We went to the same high school. And we were in that stage where I was like, I hate you. I hate you. Who cares anyway? And then I went to go see her and she sang Janis Joplin. And I was like, that's my sister. Yeah. Yes. What a trip. Okay. Now that I can at least make sense of in my brain. I wonder what the deal is with the Justin Bieber. I think it's like they build him up to be something so big and you think you're never going to be able to meet him or see him. You're never going to reach that goal. And then when they do and they see him in real life, it's like they just lose their mind. Yeah, I cried at six years old because I knew I couldn't have at that very moment. I couldn't have Christy McNichol. Yeah. At that moment, we were driving in our station wagon on the way home to Yuma, Arizona.
And at that moment, I wanted her. I needed it. I didn't just want her. You didn't even know, but you knew that you wanted it. I didn't. It wasn't even I wanted. I needed it. It was it was a requirement for my life at that moment. Laying in the back. And I wept silently. No one knew that I wept. 67, I wept silently. And the reason that I wept is because she couldn't be there then. And I needed her then. And the time had to pass. The time had to pass. Miles and miles. I did the same deal. 55 miles per hour, not 56. No, 55. 55 miles per hour. Daniel was driving, my father. 55 miles per hour. And there I, a little odd seven-year-old, six-year-old. Weeping silently because Christy McNichol wasn't. And Mike, what would happen if Christy McNichol were there and the requirement were met and you were satiated? What would take place that would satiate you, that would make you go, there's no need for tears? Would it be that you made love? You're sick. You don't even know what that is. Would it be that you kissed? You don't even know what kissing is. What would meet the requirement of your needs at that moment? Maybe she'd make you a sandwich. She makes me a sandwich.
All I know is that I needed Christy McNichol. Yeah. Goofy. Well, girls love this kid, Justin Bieber. And I read a while ago, a couple months ago, that he was performing in Australia. And it got so out of control that they had to put like a glass shield in front of the stage. People were going nuts. Girls would get so excited they'd spit. They were trying to climb up there, and bouncers couldn't hold them back, and they were throwing stuff on there and just going nuts. They got UFC fighters up there. They can't hold these girls back. They're getting knocked over. What does that do to the guy, to a 16-year-old kid who's trying to figure himself out and trying to learn about himself? I think that's bad news for kids. I am not a fan of child stars at all. Kim had said something about... Our kids are so good looking. She thinks that. I don't think so. They are, too. I think so, too. Let's put them in whatever. And I was like, no way, because there's not a good case. And at the time, she used Kate and Ashley Olsen. She said, look at them. They've got good parents.
And then look at him. Look at him now, train wrecks. Yeah, I wouldn't do it. Look at Chachi, Charles in Charge. Yeah, Scott Baio. Scott Baio, yeah. Did he get all wacky? Yeah, he was nuts. Scott Baio was? Yeah, probably. Well, just partied so hard and hooked up with everyone. Well, like everyone on different strokes. The whole show. The entire show. The entire show. One's dead. Yeah, one's Dana Plato. Dana Plato's dead. He's dead. And she robbed a dry cleaner place before she died. For crack money or something. Well, you can't figure yourself out because the world is trying to tell you good and bad. They're trying to tell you what you are and who you are. And you can't even speak for yourself at that point. Yeah, when you're in the stage where you're maturing. Maturing. Maturing. You have to give that stuff a chance. Australia recently. Was it Australia? You all had to shut down. Eight people had to be hospitalized. And you had to end the concert. When you look out and you see that, what do you think?
It's pretty hard to comprehend. Everything is just kind of surreal. It's just surreal, man. It's hard for me to even comprehend. I'm trying to figure it all out, man. I'm sitting there. I'm like, whoa, what's up, man? All these girls be running up. I'm like, whoa. Yo, girl, back up off me, man. Back up off me. It's so funny. I think he's doing a good job. I'm trying to get my Kool-Aid on. I was watching the news last night. Every news station would go to Justin Bieber and Miley. Cyrus and how they went out the night before for dinner. And it's like the junior Beyonce and Jay-Z. Oh my gosh, Justin's so lucky. Look, he's hanging out with Miley. And I'm like, is this really happening right now? Like right on the news station? It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. Okay, I got an email for you. Let's read this email. Tell me what you think. Hey, Mikey Show, thanks for making my mornings. I have a nanny. I have nannied for a family for the past six years. Their oldest is now 13. So I've been watching her mature since she was seven. Last week she admitted to me that she's been, in quotations, experimenting with her boyfriend. And now she wants me to take her to Planned Parenthood to get some contraceptives. I was a little surprised and told her I'd have to think about it. I'm very proud of her for having the sense to be safe.
And I'm also glad she feels comfortable enough to confide in me. I'd like to take her, and now I'm debating on whether or not I should tell her parents. They're pretty conservative and might try to forbid her. But if she's going to do it anyway, I feel she needs to have protection. I feel like my allegiance should be to her, but I'm also feeling the pressure of telling them. What would you do? Thanks, M1 Mrs. Doubtfire. I have very strong opinions about it. Listen, you absolutely tell the parents. You absolutely get the parents involved. Yes, it's going to break confidence between you and the kid. And yes, it's the right thing to do. And yes, the parents should have every bit of knowledge about what's going on with their kid.
Yes, it's the parent's job to guide a kid. And the whole logic behind, well, they're going to do it anyway. Well, if that's the case, why don't we buy him some heroin? You know what? They might find it at school anyway. No, heroin's not something that everyone does. Heroin's too strong. Why don't we buy them the pot? Why don't we buy them the Coke? Why don't we buy them the prescription meds? All that stuff's out there, too. They're going to do it. Why don't we buy it for them? They're probably going to try it. The reason that we don't buy it for them is because it's our job to guide them. Yes, they may very well go out there and experiment. They may very well. But it isn't our job to do it. It's our job to guide. We guide. We're the guidance. But Planned Parenthood isn't a place that is just going to give you contraceptives. They're going to call you in. They're going to talk to you. They're going to have you ask them questions. The parent? The people at Planned Parenthood. So if this nanny did take this young girl, obviously, you know, she is smart enough to know. I need to know more about this. I need to go somewhere. I want to be safe. Yeah, the kid. Oh, the kid. Yeah, for sure. But you're comparing it to drugs when when really she's going for.
An education. And she's walking out with safety protection, not something that's going to hurt her. Okay. And I think that it is going to hurt her. I don't think that she should be having sex. I think that having sex is what you do. Now, you guys know me. Yeah. I believe having sex is something you do when you're married. Now, I didn't follow my own advice because I didn't believe the way I believe now when I was growing up. So I didn't know. But I will teach my kids. Our culture is going to tell you all kinds of things. Our culture is going to tell you it's good to nail as many people as you can nail. Go out there and nail some girls. Easy to say now, Mikey, now that you're married. Hey, listen, that's the beauty of it, too. Like the beauty of it is that I've been through some situations and come out on the other end with some lessons. Like I actually learned something from the lessons that I learned. I mean, it's like saying, hey, listen. I know it's really fun to skydive without an extra parachute. OK, it's really exhilarating. But I skydived without an extra parachute and I got into some trouble. And somebody saying, well, that's real easy for you to say now that you've, you know, done that yourself and had your exhilaration. Yeah, it is. But there's also a lesson to be learned from the fact that I didn't pack an extra chute. And so I'm going to tell my kids, hey, listen, guys, I know.
It sounds like a great idea to be jumping out of the plane without an extra shoot because it's real exhilarating. And it is. But I just want to let you know there's an inherent danger in doing that as well. I tend to agree with you, man, in that I think the parents should know. I mean, it's their child. They do have this nanny, and that's great that they have a friendship and a bond. But, man, I mean, it's... It's the parents' job, like you said, to make sure that their kids are informed. Now, what if she goes to the parents, tells them, what do the parents do? Because she's going to find a way. If this is something she wants to do, is it not something she's going to find a way to do? What do you do if you're the mom and dad? Do you take her to Planned Parenthood, get her condoms? Absolutely. Things like that? At this point, I've got to believe that, and who knows, maybe this kid has been raised in a home. where the values were, you don't do that. You don't do it until you get married. Sounds like they're pretty conservative. Yeah, sounds like they're conservative. And so it could very well be that that was the values that were placed there. Or it could be that that wasn't necessarily the deal. There was no talk of it. So it wasn't like it was, you got to go out there and nail as much as you can. Maybe that wasn't a deal, but maybe there was just nothing. That was my upbringing. I didn't have my parents sit me down and go, you got it.
hang on until you get married. So all of my advice about what I should do with my sex life came from MTV. I just think that there's a reason that the kid went to the nanny. You know what I mean? When I wanted to get beer in high school, I didn't ask my parents. I asked my older brother. I understand. Every parent, of course, wants to think that their child will talk to them about that. You know, a lot of kids can't. And if that were to result to that child not going to Planned Parenthood and not being ready emotionally and physically, then it could cause an even worse problem. I love the abstinent speech, though, where it's like, just don't do it. Because it's, I mean, kids are going to do it. We told our kids, it's like, hey, you know, we know that it's going to happen. People always ask me, it's like, hey, what are you going to do when your daughters start to have sex? I'm like, well, I'm not going to tell them that they can't. Vomit. Vomit. I know it's going to happen because. That's what, you know, people do. I mean, it's built into us. It's super strong. Well, I just want to say this. Everybody does it a different way. You know, for me, when I have this talk with my boys, it's not going to be a two-minute conversation. It isn't going to be, guys, don't do it. Yeah. That's just not, I mean, it's going to be a very real and ongoing conversation. Explain your reasoning and your life experience. And listen, they may very well end up doing it. I mean, they're all mans.
Got his mind made up about a lot. Phone lines are blowing up. 570-1949 if you want to weigh in on this. Should a nanny keep her bond with this kid that she watches? Or should she tell the parents? Yeah, Mike. We'll take your calls next. Blinky Show on FM 94.9.

Wednesday morning, being brought to you by Guayaquil Aromate. And Guayaquil is teaming up with Jimbo's Naturally Local Markets. They serve you the finest in organic produce and products, some of it grown right here in San Diego, so check them out. And they're offering up two rusty surfboards and a raffle, custom-built rusties for you at your specifications. So you have to go to the Jimbo's to enter in for that raffle. And right now, SurfWise is looking at its cleaning up conditions. As the higher-pressure system is moving down upon us, that means that we've got clear skies. Calm the light offshore winds, trying to groom that broken-up, lumpy combination of swells that we have out in the water right now. Primarily, it's a west-northwest wind and ground swell with a secondary touch of southwest underlying that. Most spots running in that kind of need-away, chest-high zone on average. Maybe a few shoulder-highways at standout spots. Reef breaks looking a bit shaky right now. Some corners there, but pretty short and peaky. Beach breaks, again, being favored by the crossed-up combination of the swell. Right now winds are offshore, too, so it is, again, trying to clean it up. So it looks definitely more rideable today than it has in about the last two or three days. If you've got a window of opportunity, you might want to jump out there and take it. That was a great video. We got a lot of people calling about this. Nanny has a 13-year-old kid that she watches confide in her that she's experimenting and wants the nanny to take her to Planned Parenthood to get on some contraceptives. And the nanny wrote us and said, do I tell the parents? Listen, the fact that you are asking the question means that you've got some conviction inside of you that goes, there may be something wrong about this. Let's take a vote. Let's take a vote. I say tell the parents. Sienna? I don't know. Pick. Yeah, I guess I'd say tell the parents. Really? I say tell the parents. Yeah, tell the parents. Jay? 100%. Five for five. Yeah, the nanny works for them, so.
They're not buddies. That's a good point, too. Yeah, she should talk to the parents first and explain, like, hey, look, kind of sounds like she has her mind made up, and I don't like it any more than you do. And I don't want to be a rat. I don't want to be a rat. I don't want that. As a parent, I don't need listening. Here's my take on it. Okay, maybe not she has her mind made up kind of thing, but, like, If you haven't had the talk, you're going to need to have it because it sounds like she's figuring it out on her own. Thanks a lot, Gid. Thanks for your advice, Gid. Like Jay said, you know, they're entrusting her well-being to the nanny. So she's had a hand in helping raise her. M1, Steve from Mira Macy, are you there? Yeah. Talk to me. I think that responsibility is to the child. And there's trust in there. I think in front of the child. Now, talk to me about this, M1 Steve, because we got a text message from M1 REI girl. And she says, number one, the parents hired the nanny to watch the kid not make choices like that. And number two, the nanny cannot take the girl for medical advice. She's not a guardian or parent. What do you think of that? You can. Can you really? What do you mean, Sienna? That girl can walk in on her own and do the paperwork. The nanny's just taking her.
Steve, what's your take on that, though? That's not the point. The point is the child. OK, but but you're also saying in saying that you're also saying that the nanny shouldn't tell the parents, right? Tell the child that she is child needs to tell her parents about the situation. Got to rein you in, though, Steve. I got to rein you in. I'm going to ask you again. Do you think that this nanny? Should keep it between her and the 13-year-old or should the nanny tell the parents? No. And let the child know this is something that she needs to talk about with her parents. What if she doesn't? Yeah, she could just say, look, nanny, I went and talked to my parents about it, like you said, and, you know, everything's cool now. And then she'd just go by herself or she'd not go at all? Between the child and the parents.
Yeah, I agree. That's why you let the parents in on it, in my opinion. Let the parents know, find the child's back. Tell the child you need to talk to your parents about this. Yeah, you talk to them or I'll talk to them. And I'll come with you if you want. I don't know. I would let the mom know. M1ham from San Carlos. Are you there, Pam? Hi. Go ahead. I think the nanny should definitely tell the parents, I'm the mom of a teenage boy. And so I have a little bit of perspective on it. But I think the nanny should tell the parents, whether she tells it with the little, you know, with the child or without the child. She needs to tell the kid, we're going to talk to your parents about this. You can do it with me or without me, but your parents are going to know. It's her responsibility is to the parents. And, you know, parents need to dig their heads out of the sand if they haven't had the talk.
The reality is sex, especially with teenagers, it's a biological urge. And, Mikey, you know, you were saying, like, well, then why not give them drugs or whatever? You can't. Them doing drugs or partying is not a biological urge. Yes, it is. Yeah, it is. It can be. I disagree. Absolutely. It can be for certain people, but it's not a given. I think it's not a given, whereas I think in, you know, 99.9% of teenagers, you know, sex is a God-given biological reproductive urge. I would only disagree with you in saying that I believe that it's 100% of teenagers. It's a biological urge. Yeah. You know, it is. It's our responsibility. You know, it takes a village, and it's our responsibility. Not only is the nanny as an employee, it's her position and responsibility to tell parents, but it's our responsibility just as adults. We have experienced, you know. our experiences and our regrets and things in life. And it's our job to guide our kids and teach them respect and restraint, not only respect for them, their own selves and their bodies, but respect for the person that they're going out with. See, that's a deal, man. As I start to ask questions of people and even ask myself, there was no conversations. People aren't having conversations. You know why? Because back in the 30s and 40s, there weren't old people.
Sit down. I'm going to have a talk with you about the sex, okay? Yeah, see? Now, there's something called intercourse, all right? It wasn't happening. And so they passed that don't talk to your kids about sex down to their parents. And they passed it on down to us. But I think that you talk to them about it and you guide them. We now live in a culture that says anything's okay. Yeah. Makes me sick. All right, bro. Here's the deal. 17 years old, Jay comes to you. He's been with this girl since he was 14. Dad, I love Katie. I love her. I want to have sex with her. Yeah, the thing is, though, we've talked about this before 17. I know what your convictions are. This is not a surprise. But, Dad, I love her. I really love her. We've been together for three years. I know you and I have talked since I was six years old about sex, and I should wait until marriage. I don't want to. I want to have sex with her right now. Well, buddy, you know, you know. There's nothing that I can do to stop you. If you're going to have sex with that girl, you're going to have sex with that girl. I'm going to tell you, based on the way that I've brought you up and the way that I've taught you, I'm disappointed. Disappointed a bit. Disappointed. For sure. And I wish you wouldn't do that. But I can't stop you from doing it. That's what drives me, scares me to death out being a parent. It's just like...
It's literally like rolling dice. Man, I hope mine comes out good. And I feel like the other deal is I don't think you push these kids too hard. You can't start shoving down their throat. You can't do this. I know. Look at the kid, dude. You tell the kid what I want to do. I go and do what I want. I mean, I'm not going to be telling my boys, don't you dare. I'm going to tell them. This is how I feel about this. And this is what this is the expectation. Let's talk about it, too. And there will be some rules in that house that are like, listen, you're not doing drugs. And if you do drugs and I find out about it, there's going to be some real bad problems. You're toast. And that was a deal when I was growing up. My dad, it's disciplinarian, man. He didn't allow any garbage. You know what I mean? He didn't allow it. Yeah. There's a difference, though, between our parents. When our parents were raised, sex was thought of as something you had to do. You just did it to have babies. I mean, that's the way the women were taught. It's like, you're not going to enjoy this. If you're lucky, you'll only have to do it a few times. Yeah. And now it's, you know, obviously things have changed. Women have been empowered by their own bodies and blah, blah, blah. And a lot younger now. Yeah. Well, and also back then, in quotation marks, the.
You were getting married at a much younger age. A lot of people were getting married right out of high school. So the urges were coming on in the teens. But you're like, okay, I just have to wait it out. A couple more years. Now it's like, all right, well, the marrying age is getting older and older and everything. So people are like, I'm not waiting anymore. Got it now. Want it now. Question. Woodsy. Double standard, men and women. Double standard for your boys. If he had girls? Because I know there would be with me. No way. I think there would be. If you have a girl, you have a million little pieces to worry about. If you have a guy, you have one piece to worry about. Yeah, well, I mean, same speech. The same speech they would get if it was my daughter. I'm not going to be encouraging them to go slay. I'm going to be telling them. Right. Wait. But you walk in on Finn or you walk in on Maddie, it's probably a different scene. Oh, God. Really? No, it's the same. No way. It's the same scene. They're equal. No way. But I do treat Maddie, you know, I get that double-edged sword all the time. She's like, well, you never let me just go out. You know, like, she just couldn't go out and cruise around. You know, like, hey, I'm just going to go do this. Because I was worried that she would, you know, get attacked. Right, right. I'm like, nobody's going to attack him, you know. Yeah. Different story. Hey, listen, I think it's all right. Emma and Kelly, are you a nanny yourself?
I was, I employed nannies. Oh, you employ them? Oh, yeah. We got to get your number, by the way. Because my wife and I can actually talk to you. Oh, well, I don't employ them. I have employed them for my own children. Oh, I gotcha. Yes. I gotcha. So what were you calling to say? Well, the whole point is, I mean, they have all great ideas. But what it boils down to is the parents have hired her. She is in an entirely different situation. She can befriend the child, but she can't be the child's friend. Yeah. Those parents, when they hired her, I mean, when I hired my nannies, I said, look, I want my kid watching this, not watching that. I want him hanging out with this person, not with that person. Those parents trust her. They're giving her their hard-earned money because they trust her with that child. There you go. You see? Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. Great point. If she was a friend of the family.
Okay, a little bit different scenario. Now you're kind of in that, well, well, I'm not sure what to do. But her first obligation is to go to the child and say, look, I'm so glad you feel so comfortable with me that you can do this. But I've been with you so long because your parents have trusted me and they hired me because they know that I'm following their rules. And now you're asking me to do something that would break their rules. Now I'll be happy to go with you. I will even talk to your mom for you if you're uncomfortable in doing that, but this is something you have to involve your parents in. And you guys all have great points. She may decide to do this anyway, but if that nanny does that to that parent, they're going to fire her. She's not going to have a job. She won't ever get a good reference. Again, I still to this day, my kids are 17 and 15, I still get calls of references. for the nannies that I had for them growing up. That's great. I appreciate it. She makes a great point. It's, you know, you want them to follow, you want the nanny to enforce the rules that you're having in your household, and you would hope that they would respect those rules. Absolutely. That's a tough place to be in for that nanny. I get it. But hey, man. But she said, look, I can't go against your parents' rules. This is what I've promised to them, that I will enforce their rules. Mm-hmm. Let's see.
570-1949 is the number. And if you want, you can text us. 949mikey. Excuse me. 949mikey at gmail.com. Let's see. So you can call in about that. Weigh in about that if you want to. Let's see. So what do you think prompted Simon Cowell to say to this dude that his performance last night verged on karaoke? I don't watch American Idol, but this is what I know. I know they're down to their top four people. Already? Yeah, they're already down to the top four. It's getting good. I watched it last night. And, yeah, Simon Cowell says that this dude verges on karaoke. You ready for this, Woods? Guy's going to sing Kiss from a Rose. Of course he is. Seal. Seal.
Woods just put his forehead against the microphone and has his eyes closed. A little sharp. A little sharp. He sounds boring. That sounds terrible. He sounds boring. I mean, that is god-awful. That's good right there. It is? Is it? Yeah, he has a great voice. Does he? He does. Uh-huh, his name is Lee. He's not really going for it. No, I agreed with you in the beginning. It was like, uh, uh, and it sounded bored. Isn't it the opposite of going for it, though, that here? You're not the long-haired guy? Yeah, here we go with a kiss from the rose.
No. He's holding up an empty glass and wants a refill. This guy, there's four left. I can tell you exactly the order they're going to go home. I know it already. Go ahead. Tonight, it's going to be Casey going home, the guy with the blonde, long hair, curly kind of. Next week, it's going to be the big Mike, the big black guy who is just hilarious and funny. Then it's going to be Lee, the guy who just sang, top two, and then Crystal, the one girl. She's going to win it. So, you watched this and you watched it last night. How come everybody's talking today? It's like on CNN and... Everywhere. They're talking about this performance. Lee, the guy that just sang Kiss from a Rose, who, like I said, he does have a good voice. I agree with you. That performance wasn't exactly the greatest. Might be the wrong song for him. He and Crystal, the other girl, they did a duet together. And last night was music in movies theme. Jamie Foxx was the mentor. And they did a duet from the movie Once. Well, he did Ray. Yeah, but I didn't know he was on American Idol. There's a movie called Once? What's that? I don't know. Actually, I've read a lot about it. It looks really good. It's a very musical-heavy movie. Yeah. But the soundtrack is phenomenal. And this song, dude, this song, I know this song. The song is amazing. Falling Slowly. This duet, they did. They both played the guitar and just looked right at each other, the guy and the girl. And it was, I mean, it would be on the radio. I'm all over news sites. Every morning before I come in here, that's my deal.
and I'm going over all these, and I'm like, why are they talking about this performance? Wait till you hear this song. Every judge is blown away. Yeah, this song is incredible. Here we go. That's what I'm claiming. Top two finalists right here. Okay. Oh, with the slow connection already. Come on with it. Here we go. No, it isn't. Come on. Here we go. All right, we got it. Nope, not working. I like that. Ah, with the slow connection here. It sounds great. Lee and Crystal. Regular Johnny Cash and June Carter. Yeah. Doesn't that sound good? Isn't that Honey in Your Ears? Those two, yeah. Here we go. Is that John Mayer? I don't like his voice, too. You should hear the original Falling Slowly. I love this guy's voice. I love his voice, too. I liked it more the first time when it was called John Mayer, but I do like his voice a lot. I do. It's so much like John Mayer. It does, but it's good. I'm the guy that I'm fine with any copycat. As long as it sounds like...
The first guy that I liked, I'm fine with it. Oh, Mike. It's good. I love it. Way to do this. Sounds alright to me. Love it. Listen to the original, too. Girls love... He and the guy, Casey, who I'm claiming is going home tonight, they're both very cute, and the girls love them. And this girl, Crystal, she's just one of those people that makes singing look effortless. Are they talking about it because they actually played guitar? Or is it... No. Because it sounded great and the whole thing was great. The whole performance was supposed to be phenomenal. I just love the song. All of them are like, that could be on the radio right now and be a hit. So could that. You like eggs? A lot of you don't. I do. I do. There's four things you need to know about them. They're delicious? They're nutritious? You know what else you need to know, Woodsy? Why Eskimo Blue Waters was hanging out in the hallway. I thought I saw her. With her dark glasses and her layered necklaces. Cowboy hat and her jeans.

Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Hello, darling. It's been a long... Dude, you're killing me. You know what this makes me want? A glass of McClure's and a beer bag. That's right. And a fresh Marlboro. That's right. Reminds you of Crazy Heart. Oh, yeah, it does. I love the old country. I do, too, man. Welcome back to Mikey Show. Hi, Mikey. Let's see. We got...
First of all, let me remind you that on Friday, we are doing a meet and greet. We're going to be out at Hoolies. It's an Irish pub in La Mesa. We'll be out there from 5 to 7. And bring your families. It's going to be a good time. We're bringing ours. And you have the opportunity to meet everybody. From the show, you get a bumper sticker. The Mikey Show bumper sticker. The M1 Nation sticker would be nice. Come on out, hang out, have a good time. I'll be giving hugs. Yeah, you will. Hugs for free. Me too. That's right. Lauren's got a kissing booth open, I think. That's right. Is that right? Mm-hmm. Hey, okay, so four myths about eggs. What are they? Does this scare you at all? Like, even the thought of eggs make me nervous. Yeah, I've always heard that when, you know, if you're going to get something, it's because the eggs weren't this or the eggs weren't that. What do you got? Lauren.
Do you buy brown eggs or white eggs? I buy cage-free, but sometimes I buy the brown, sometimes I buy the white. Why would you buy the brown? I don't know. Somewhere along the way, a long time ago, someone told me they were better, but then recently I heard that they're not. Really? I've been going white recently. I've always done the brown because I thought they were better. Tasted. You eat the brown, Mike? Oh, I thought 100% you bought the white eggs. No way. Because the brown ones, because you know me, I'm a foodie. Yeah. So it's all about, you know. I'd been told that they were better. And then recently someone was like, no, actually. Is that a myth? It's a myth. Get out. Yeah. Brown is not any better than the white. Why did we? The only difference is the color of the shell. Yeah. Perfect. That's what I heard recently. And the difference in the shell just is the reflection of the type of bird, the hen. Hmm. Ridiculous. I know it. Because I believed it. Everyone does. We believe in lies. Great. Buy the cage-free ones no matter what color. Why? Don't discriminate. Because it means they weren't raised in a cage. You want to see them like... Yeah, they get to walk around and have cigarettes. Where does it even... I've never even looked for something. I just buy eggs. Me too. It's a chicken. When the chickens are all... When they're set up in those farms where they lay eggs, they'll put them on top of each other. Their beaks will actually start to grow over the wire because they're in too confined of a place.
She's bringing me down. They peck at each other. Can I just have a chicken leg without having to get all the guilt of this stuff? Yeah. I just want chicken. Hey, if you have a choice, go for cage-free. So they're like in a big commune, just getting high. No, they're like smushed up against the life that they live. No, no, cage-free. They're just walking around getting stoned. Yeah. It's like Woodstock. Yeah. They're all listening. They're blasting Jimi Hendrix. They're all smoking jerks. Smoking jerks. I mean, it's unbelievable. I just want an omelet. That's all. When you're in a position to make a choice, just try to make that one. Let me out. Let me out of here. Get me the hell out of here. Another myth. Organic eggs are healthier. It's a myth. That can't be. That's not true. It says they certainly can be, but it depends on the chicken's diet. eggs come from hens that are fed a 100 organic diet however what really matters is when it comes down to nutrition and whether or not the hens were raised on pasture you're telling me some hen eating food that came from fertilizer that that don't make a difference
If you want eggs like that, that are, you know, hens that are raised on pasture or spend a lot of time outdoors, then you need to meet with a farmer, someone who has chickens and can make you up. Yeah, that's what I'll do when I go buy eggs. Sure. Can make an appointment with a farmer first. Yeah. You know why? Because my day is not filled with anything. I don't have anything at all to do. So I think I'll call a farm today. Honey, as soon as I get off, I got to go meet with Bill the farmer and make sure that our eggs, the chickens are fed properly. Yeah, babe. I know I was going to be home today to help out with the kids, but I actually have to go to Ramona. I'm going to Ramona today because I'm meeting with Farmer John and we're going to talk about organic hens. And I should be home about nine tonight. Rebecca would be like, come home. No, I'm going to get a dozen eggs, babe. It'll be great. I know you don't eat eggs that just I do. But as soon as I get back from Ramona. I'll be happy to help you with whatever you got. Going back to the brown and the white eggs really quick. This is kind of interesting. Not always, but in general, hens with white feathers and earlobes lay white eggs, and those with dark feathers and red earlobes lay brown eggs. You're telling me that birds have earlobes? That's what I'm saying. Who knew? Who knew? That's great. They don't have them. Are you reading a joke? No, I'm not. This is right from something. You know what you do? You look at the bird's boobs.
And you check and you see. Feel him up real quick. Please. Speaking of jokes, knock it out. Who's there? Impatient chicken. Impatient chicken. Oh, wow. You got me. Dumb. Okay, here's another myth. Thank you. Thank you. Another myth is free range eggs come from hens that roam freely outdoors. Free range eggs have to come from chickens that roam freely outdoors. What are they? Inside the gym? They say, no, there is no guarantee that the hen that laid the eggs ever saw the light of day. Of course, it may have spent time outdoors, but the free range quotation label doesn't mean anything. The following labels are also meaningless when it comes to... Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We got to stop there. Okay, okay. How can the words free range not mean anything? They're lying, dude. The fact is the claims are not regulated for eggs. You're a sweet kid. Really? Am I naive? You're a sweet kid, dude. I'm naive. You're a sweet kid. Dude, if it says butter, I thought it was butter. You're a sweet kid. You ever see that commercial? Oh, this commercial when bottled water really first came out and they showed these dudes sitting behind a factory with this hose and they're putting them in these bottles of water and sending them off saying it was, you know, mined from the Alps and whatever. Penn and Teller? Come on. Come on. Yeah. I thought it was illegal to sell things when it's not that. You know how you know when they're good and...
Raise the right way. Like if you're Jay and you raise them on your own, that's the only time you'll know. It's too soon. He sold the chickens. Question. Didn't sell them. Gave them away. Gave them away, sorry. So does that mean if I buy toothpaste and it says it has fluoride in it, it doesn't have to? It doesn't have to. No, that's not true. I don't believe it. Come on, really? It means that there's no regulation yet to say that someone can make these claims. There's nothing that says you have to be certified to claim free range. It means people are... Getting in on it before there's any sort of regulation. Am I a clown if I buy milk that says fat free, but it's actually got 5%? Guys, have you ever been to a restaurant? You're like, oh, I'd love decaf. You've all been waiters here. How many times have you been like, yeah, sure you're getting decaf. That's a person. If you buy it out of the package. The farmer is a person. You don't know. You don't. Here's the deal. Really? You don't know. You don't know that the meat you're buying is 99% fat free. You don't know. Lauren says no way, Woodsy. There's no way, right? Just because it's, what is it, believe half of what you hear? No, there is the FDA and the USDA already has things in place where you can't just say this is grade C beef when it's a grade A. That's what I thought. There are regulatory things out there, but what Sienna's saying is there's not yet anything in place to say, well, wait, wait, wait, before you go claiming free range, we need to come in there and make sure it's actually free range. Yeah, it says they cannot regulate for eggs. There you go. That's the fact. I want a list.
Of everything they can't regulate for so that when I go to the store, I'm like, ha, ha, ha. You want to know some other meaningless labels that it says for eggs? Yeah, yeah, yeah. This is when it comes to eggs. Yeah, yeah. Free roaming, meaningless. Hormone-free, meaningless. Raised without antibiotics, meaningless. Say whatever you want. You say whatever you want on there. Yeah. You can say whatever you want on there? Obviously. You also can't cut the tag off that mattress, pal. I'm tripping out. You knew this? No, he doesn't know this. Yes, I know this. No, it's specifically for eggs. For beef, it's already in place. It can be for anything. You're freaking me out. If you're listening right now, everything I'm saying is specifically for eggs. For eggs. You really believe Avion comes from the Alps, don't you? I do. Do you? It says it on there. It says it. Yeah, it must be. Fiji? No, dude. Yeah, Fiji comes from Fiji. Yeah, it comes from Fiji. It's not the same thing. I don't know that Fiji says that it comes from Fiji, though. Yeah, natural artisan springs in Fiji. You have a Fiji bottle right in front of you. Fiji water comes from an aquifer. Sure it does. Deep within the earth on the islands of Fiji. Please tell me that it does. Yeah, it's from Madison, Wisconsin. No. Okay? We don't know that. If I had a water bottle article, I would tell you. Exactly what it's from. Madison. Bottled at the source. Comes from a lake.
Natural artisan pressure forces the water through a sealed delivery system free of human contact. I can't believe you believe this. Gravetaker. It's never exposed to the environment. Sure it's not. At least until you unscrew the cap. That's right. You're a sweet kid, Mike. No! You're a sweet kid. Let me see. You're a sweet kid. It says, bottled at the source, Yaquara Viti Levu. Yeah. Fijian Islands. We're speaking English on the show. Bottled by natural waters of Viti Limited. Yeah, that's right from Fiji, buddy. Oh my gosh, you're tripping me out. Viti Limited is a Fijian company. Sure it is. It is. Woods doesn't know, he's assuming. I know, he just winked at me, which tells me that I think he's getting me. No, he doesn't know what he's talking about. They ship it over on a boat. I'm 45% sure that he's getting me. But I hold out. A 55, whatever. You guys are sweet. Are you ready for the fourth myth? Yes. Egg substitutes are simply eggs or egg whites without the shells. There you go. Egg beater. And most of the time, twice as expensive as real eggs. Say it again. Egg substitutes are simply eggs or egg whites without the shells. The fact is, most products have added stabilizers, thickeners, vitamins, carotenes, and sometimes spices.
They cost twice as much as the real eggs, and they're just the egg without the shell. Excuse. Excuse. But if you're allergic to eggs, how come that don't get you sick if it's eggs? Maybe it's something in the shell. Who knows? It's all in your head. In your head. You're not allergic. Okay, hold on. It says down here. Here we go. Mike, I have an answer. This is what it says. Of course, if you can't eat egg yolk for health reasons or have no use for them, egg substitutes are a good option. And most products only have a tiny percentage of additives. Just read the labels before buying. If you're allergic to eggs and you buy something that says egg substitutes, you're still going to read the label to make sure this product may contain eggs. You know? Most of them do. M1 Gordon Bombay from Mission Valley. You there? I am here. You went to Fiji. Yes. The Fiji water is the real deal. I mean, they may have distributors, you know, domestically, but what we understood while we were there is it's one of their chief exports. Water? Yeah. I actually don't think that Fiji water tastes all that delicious. I think the best water to me is Aquafina, which is really purified water, meaning all it really is is it's tap water. It's tap water that they've done with reverse osmosis. I just like the taste of it.
I like Fiji. Best water in the world? I don't like Fiji. Tahoe tap water. Tahoe tap water, I've heard, is really good. From Lake Tahoe? Yep, it's the best. If you live in Lake Tahoe and you have there just tap water straight out of the tap, it tastes really good. I've always heard that. You've seen Lake Tahoe? It's beautiful. Yeah. Did you find that waterfall there? What, you were going to propose? Appropriate time to bring that up? Inappropriate. I mean, you just crushed my spirit for no reason. I'm sorry, Mike. I'm already crushed. I'm angry at Woods. I'm taking it on you. Why are you angry at me? Yeah, you're projecting. Because... You can't believe everything you read. No, not everything you read, but there are certain regulatory... I don't know what the word I'm looking for is. Woodsy. Arms. Woodsy looked at me as she was saying that and was not... There are. For the USDA, certain products are regulated. I know. They do a great job, too. M1 Kevin from El Cajon. You're eating eggs right now, dude. Hey, what's going on? Not too much. Are you really eating eggs now? I do. Okay, listen to this. What a trip. I'm sitting there hard-boiling eggs this morning, and I have this little issue. I have two of my free-range. Yeah, anyways. And then I have my two that I bought from Vons. So I hard-boiled the two that are the free-range, and I hard-boiled the single one that was from Vons. They both taste the same. It's like, give me my damn eggs. I want to eat them. And I don't think there's a big difference. Here, watch this. I'll bite something. I'll bite into one.
That's free range. It's delicious. Egg in his mouth right now. It's great. It grosses me a little bit. I bet it smells. Yeah, I bet it smells. They both taste the same. All right. I'm glad I'm not in your car. Thank you. And we do an egg taste test. Maybe it's not about taste. Maybe it's about the... Treatment of the... What it's doing to you. Yeah, it's totally about the treatment of the animals. Yeah, it's not going to make the egg taste different. Well, I thought it was about health issues and about these chickens eating stuff that's had fertilizer sprayed on it. Does it matter? Because you know some eggs are bigger than the other ones. Like, what's that all about? Nothing. Is it just the size of the hen? It's the size of the chicken, yeah. I had one giant chicken that we got at the same time, but it was just huge. Softball eggs? Yeah, and they would lay the craziest shaped eggs, too. It was just like, wow, mutant chicken. The star. Mutant chicken. It's creepy. Hey, look who's walking in here. Oh, wow. What has she got now? Eskimo Blue Water is the local musician here. Hey, Eskimo. How you doing? How you guys doing? We're doing good. She's got on her cowboy hat. She's a chick rocker, man. She's got a raspy voice. She's got a raspy voice. I like it. You blast cigs? Yeah. Obviously. Obviously. I think she was smoking in the hallway. I think so. I didn't realize it. Is that not allowed here? Yeah, it's not allowed. You're not allowed to smoke indoors. We're indoors. Oh, sorry, bro. It's weird because every time she takes, she inhales, she starts coughing. Yeah. Because I don't think she really does smoke. It's just more of a...
like look thing. She's trying to be cool. Really? Kind of sounds like a cappuccino machine. Who could do that? I don't know. You've got the dark glasses on. She's got the layered necklaces. Yeah, it's fashion. She really looks a part, you know? She does. And the thing is, is that her musical taste is really all over the place. I mean... Absolutely. Expand your mind. You expand your mind? It's like acoustic and then there's like some hip-hop and some rock. Caribbean flavor. Caribbean flavor. I really like your vest that you have on. Thank you. It's pretty cute. It's a cool vest. I wore this this weekend, actually. It's funny you guys are talking about eggs. Cool vest. I played a brunch, Mother's Day brunch this weekend. Went over pretty well. Where was it? If you don't say so yourself. It was in a fire hall. A fire hall? I don't know what it was. Some sort of charity event. I tend to know what it was. Mother's Day brunch. Yeah, Mother's Day brunch. The pain gig? No. No, no. It's charity. It's coming. That's probably right around the corner. Probably right around the corner. Exactly what it was. You get discovered any day. That's why you come on here, right? You get to promote. Yeah. I mean, that's the hope, Mike. Yeah. On get hope, right? Yeah. Helping the LLB YouTube video. Yeah, she got found on YouTube. Who knows? Maybe the same thing can happen for you. Plenty of stuff on YouTube. That's right. You know. That's right. What do you got there? What is that?
It's actually a copy of Steve Boltz's latest album. Is that right? It's called Dreamhouse. Can I see that? It's good. Yeah. Let me see. What do you want? The CD. He wants a CD. I want to see it. There you go. Why are you being so weird about it? Why are you being weird about it? Oh, I was just going to tell you guys that I got a special thanks on his album credits, so I thought you might think that's rad. Way to go. Let's see it. Where is that? Where will I find it? Well, you're not going to see my name. What does it say? You just said that he, you got that. Well, I, okay, so, you know, I think he was kind of tight on space because I have a three-part name, but I, I am actually boys with one of the sound techs in the studio. You're a girl. You're a girl. So, you know, it's his music terminology. Right. Yeah, so he gave a shout-out to the studio on there, so it's... I'm pretty much included in that. She said hi to the studio, didn't really say hi to you, Eskimo Blue Waters. Can I get some of that Fiji water? Yeah, sure, go ahead. I don't think I would share your water with Mike. No, no, don't drink from it. That's mine. You just drank from it. We'll get someone to get you some. It's Eskimo. But anyways... Take that album back. Oh, yeah.
Been collaborating with Kenny Rogers' bass player this week. Are you really? Yeah. I didn't know he had a bass player. Working on recording a demo. Really? Finally. Yeah. Well, he heard me at the AM, PM last week. He was spilling up. He was spilling up. Yeah, he said he'd give me a few minutes this week, so I just gave him my first demo, but he doesn't have a cassette player, so. So you can't play your demo? You can't figure something else out right now. You can't play your demo because it's on a cassette tape. Of course it is. That's tough. Recorded on one of those little handheld recorders you get at Staples. Yeah, she gave him a little mini cassette. I know. I thought it was kind of industry standard, but it turns out it's not. It turns out, no. You learn something new every day. We're more of a digital age now. Yeah, it's weird. You know what, Eskimo? You live and you learn. You do. I think it's the deal. That's the story. You live in a Mustang and you learn. That's right. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. So I kind of got a really big gig coming up this weekend. What are you doing? Yeah. Well, I'm actually going to be at the House of Blues on Saturday. Are you? No kidding. That is amazing. Congratulations. Congratulations. Finally. That's a pretty big time. That's a huge gig. I'm going to open them up for Steel Pulse.
You're opening up for steel poles? You're opening for steel poles? Well, I'm going to be out on the sidewalk with a tip jar, just playing some tunes. Well, wait, you said you were going to be there. Well, I'm warming up the crowd. Right, from the street. Before they go in. Yeah, on the sidewalk. Does anyone that works there know you're going to be there? I called to make sure they were cool with it. Did you leave a message of the machine? Yep. That's cool. So you're going to have your guitar case just on the ground on the sidewalk. Yeah, that's the plan. Yeah, good deal. If there's room. Donation. If there's room. If there's room. That's cool, yeah. Well, good for you. Good for you working hard. It's a pretty big time. You got any music? What else is going on? I do, yeah. Is it cool if I plug my iPod in? Yes. You're not going to play an instrument? What are you going to do? No, no. Remember I told you I've been working in GarageBand? Yeah, right. So you did this yourself. I did. Yep. Just real original stuff. You got some original stuff that you put together by yourself on GarageBand. Kind of groundbreaking here. That's cool. Cool. I kind of like our new direction. Yeah, just the fact that she's making her own stuff and she's working with the GarageBand and she's putting this stuff out. It's cool. We want to support our local artists. Absolutely. Look, if you can't stay original, you can't stay in the game. You can't stay in the game is what they say. I agree with that. What do you got? Well, it's a called song, Replaceable. The song's called Replaceable. Replaceable. Right on.
Do you want to operate the iPod? Yeah, let me operate the iPod. I'll play it, and then you sing. Can I trust you, Mike? Because last time you screwed it up. No, no, no, no. All I'm going to do is I'm going to play your music, and then you sing to it. You're fine. Okay, cool. This is your beat that you made this beat. Yep. Eskimo Blue Waters. Okay. We ready? Yep. Replaceable. We're plugging in our iPod here. Maybe your iPod's a little off. Here, let me see that thing. It's our little iPod Nano. Let me try to work this sucker out. All right, Jay's taking a look at it, too. I'll tell you what we'll do. Why don't, because we're late. Oh, seriously? You're going to do that to me? No, no, no. I promise you, we will come back, and I will give you the opportunity. You want to tell us, like, is it for a special someone or anything like that? Or do you not really like to go into that? Well, it's about Steve Maltz. Steve Maltz is your boyfriend? If he's listening.
Okay, okay. So when we come back, we'll get her to play that. It should be great. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Or text 949Mikey at gmail.com. It's kind of where Eskimo wants to be. Eskimo's working on it. Sorry, Eskimo. I didn't mean to imply. I didn't mean to imply. I'm not implying anything. Hi, this is the Mikey show. No. You hadn't heard Eskimo. She was irritated because I was talking about STP. I know. She was like, hello. Actually, yeah, and I've been standing here for seven minutes waiting to drop my finger. Well, we have to do commercials, so maybe you settle down. We don't have to talk about STP. Or maybe you get it. Sarah Jessica Parker or whatever you're talking about. Can I point something out? She was banging her little skull and crossbones ring against the mic. She was. It was ridiculous. Can I just point something out? Every week when Eskimo Blue Waters comes in, local musician, she brings a bunch of pictures of herself to be signed, but I've never seen her sign one. First of all, they're not glossy. They're off the printer. Excuse me. Black and white. They're black. A little blonde chick with a headgear on. Taking plenty of them. Who? Lauren? Whatever her name is. Oh, it's Susanna. Susanna. Susanna, the girl from the marketing. She's an intern in the accounting department. I have to say this about Eskimo, though. I like her because today she's wearing moccasins. They're great. Thank you. I think they're great. Love them. Eskimo. Yep. Don't you have those things printed in color, you know? I mean, you could do that in color. That's not industry standard.
Yeah, it is. No, it's not, actually. It probably is, you know. Maybe not at the snow cone stand, but the real artists actually get glossy pictures. They get the glossy ones. Do I look like I made of money, Woods? Fair enough. Trying to make money. Looks like she hand-wrote her name on it. Oh, does it? I'm sorry. Maybe that's the font. It's the font. It's the style. Who took that picture of you? I took it on my webcam. That's what I got. That's what I got. So what? Because it looks like there's a bed in the background. In your own bedroom. I'm a photographer. There's your bed in the background. So wait a minute. Maybe you go to the studio. So you took the picture from your computer and then you printed it? There's like dirty laundry on the bed, too. You guys, I... Maybe you clean up before you take the pic. I've got a lot going on, not just music. I know, but maybe you fold some clothes. Yeah, seriously. Well, honestly... Go ahead. I was just going to say, I mean, it's not just music. I do other things. I take pictures. You do? Yeah, I made this guitar. You made that guitar? I made this guitar. That guitar is a Taylor. You actually didn't make Taylor. You didn't make it at all. It says Taylor because, no kidding, it's my middle name. Oh, Taylor. Is it really? I didn't know that. Oh, there you go. Eskimo Taylor Blue Waters. I like that. Yeah, well, I...
The blue part, I changed. Yeah. It was Eskimo Taylor Waters. But that didn't roll off the tongue. So that's not from the Taylor company. No, that's my name. That's my middle name. That's your design, your middle name, your whole deal. Yeah. That's a beautiful guitar. I designed the logo. I do graphic design, too. Do you? Yeah, you can tell by the pictures. Yep. What's that poster in the background of your bedroom? Is that Edward Cullen? It is Edward Cullen. That is Robert Pattinson. I'm surprised you have that. I'm not into fantasy. I liked him before. You liked him before Twilight. Before he was in that whatever Twinkle movie. You don't even know. I don't even know. I don't believe in Dracula. I tell you what. Why don't we just play your music? I've got your iPod. I think we've got it fixed. We got it fixed. I'll play the iPod. You sing. And this song is called Replaceable. She wrote it about her boyfriend. Steve Maltz. Steve Maltz. Ex-boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend. Steve Maltz. Let's hear it. To the right, to the right. Oh, no. Seriously? To the right, to the right. Everything you do own in a bag. To the right, in the bottle.
All my clothes are, I paid for them. So don't touch those. You're speaking those stupid lines. Can you text and drive at the same time, man? That's a staple. Stop. You have to have heard that song before. Dude, why are you, what? I'm stopping it because it's not an original piece. That's not a freaking iPod, man. Really? You did that on GarageBand? You just threw some loops together? Yeah, dude. Yeah, dude. That's... Irreplaceable. What? No, it's called Replaceable. No, it isn't. It's by Beyonce. It's by Beyonce, okay? And it's to the left, to the left. Everything you own in a box to the left. I love that you guys just say that. Yeah, we know that. I don't even know that song. Why would you know that song? How did yours go? Why don't you play it again? Do it again. Play the song. I'm going to start the song again. Same part. I want a different part. Do a different part. But you're saying it's a different song. It's not. It's Beyonce. It's the same song.
Look, I don't like these accusations. Do another part of it. Do another part. Changed a couple words around. Okay, ready? Yes. Now I'm all nervous. No, don't be nervous. Let's give her the benefit of the doubt. Yeah. Okay, ready? I must not know about you. I must not know about you. I can have a guy like you in a second. And if you wait, he'll be here in a second. Stop. Honey, I must not know about you. I must not know about you. I can find a guy like you by the morning. You're all replaced. Beyonce said, I can have another you in a minute. What did you say about a second? I said, what did I say here? Look at your lyrics. Look at the lyrics that you wrote. I said, okay, I'm nervous. I said, I can have a guy like you in a second. And she said, I have another you in a minute. You wrote that for Maltz, right? Who said in a minute? Beyonce. Yeah.
Beyonce did when she first did the song. What do you do? You get the karaoke's? What is this? I must not know about you. I must not know about you. I thought I did, but I don't. That's what I'm trying to say. I thought I knew about him, but I don't. So you were so irritated. You were like, why don't you just take all your stuff and put it in a bag? That bag right there that's to the right of you. Oh, my God. To the left. It's to the right. To the right. She's pointing to the paper. That's what I'm saying. I see that. Point to the paper all you want with those dark glasses on. I'm just telling you that you're ripping off Beyonce. Whatever. Yeah, whatever. I don't listen to hip-hop. You can get in a lot of trouble for playing that at the House of Blues. It's called plagiarism. I'm going to be playing acoustic stuff at the House of Blues. Do you want to hear the beginning or are you done with it? I do want to. I want to. Didn't we hear it? I just want you to do an original. Are you done with it or what? No, I want it. We'll hear it again. Let me hear it again. Which part? The beginning. The to the right. Ready? Maybe I was wrong. Gosh. Maybe I was wrong. You weren't wrong. You weren't wrong. Okay, ready? She changes her voice. To the right, to the right. I feel like Paris Hilton now. To the right, to the right. To the right, to the right. Get all your things in a bag. To the right, in the bureau.
All my clothes, yes, I pay for it. Forget it. Stop. That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. In the bureau? In the bureau. In the bureau. What is that? What the heck? That's a cool word. In the closet. That's a cool word. Who uses bureau in a song anymore? No one. Even Beyonce didn't. She said in the closet. Well. Thank you, Eskimo. I'll have you know. Will you? Like. Will you? I had some hot news I wanted to share, but I don't know, but. Now tell us. Tell us. Hey, Jay. Yeah. Water, please. Yeah, yeah, hold on a second. We'll listen to her. A little help, dude. Seriously. Get her some water. You guys have any Evian? Yeah, we'll get you some. Get you some. I'll take Aquafina if that's all you have. She always sends an email before she gets here, and the subject is my rider. My rider. Yeah. Yeah. We've never once had any of the items that she asked for. She asked for puppies. She wanted puppies. She wanted puppies when she got here. Because puppies are badass. Yeah, she said, I want a box of puppies because puppies are badass. I said boxer. Boxer puppies are badass. Boxer puppies. So anyway. You're a clown. Yeah. Drum roll. I wish. All right. Hold on. No, I got one. Let's do it right. All right. Okay. This single that you heard, Replaceable, it's gone international. Has it really? Yep.
What's the deal? Well, I submitted it to a Lithuanian radio station, and they replied literally immediately. Really? And they said, thank you for your submission. It's pretty wild. Wow. That doesn't mean you got added. Garrett's done that with people, but our program, that doesn't mean he's playing. Instantaneously, dude. Oh, then that means it's called an auto-reply. It's an auto-reply. No, it's called excitement. No. They said thank you. They just auto-replied and said, you know. You know how you get those out-of-the-office replies immediately? I don't work in an office. I live in a Mustang, Sienna. Seriously. What else you got going on? You got any gigs besides House of Blues? Well, you know, if the stars align, you can catch me at Boot World in Santee. Is that right? Tuesday morning. Boot World in Santee. Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning. Next Tuesday. What's next Tuesday? It's home, home on the range all next week.
And the Wranglers are a regular price, but the boots are on sale. Oh, that's cool. That's great. It's probably worth mentioning, I guess, before I go, that I'm gearing up for a summer tour. Are you really? In the old Mustang. Where are you going to go? I'm going to hit up a few KOAs on old Route 66. The campsite. Yeah. I'm going to see if they'll let me set up a tip jar. That's great. Summer tour. You knock it out of the park, kid. Thanks. Amazing. It's Eskimo Blue Waters. Let's hear it for her. She's really fun. She's really fun. One of these days, we've got to get Eskimo to come out to one of our meet and greets. Dude, I'm available. Of course she is. What else does she have to do? You should look at your iCal. No, I don't need to. Are you sure? I'd make room for it. Okay. Seriously. We'll get that sucker going. Seriously, though, it's Friday. Maybe perform. Kind of desperate. All right. Okay, I'll see you later. Thanks. That's Eskimo Blue Waters, everybody. She's so much fun. M1 Trica is on the line. Hi, Trica. Hi. Did I get your name right, Trica? No, it's Trisha. Trisha. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Go ahead, Trisha. You're on the air. Okay. So my husband, who I have to say I love to death, he's a great man, and he just always comes up with these ridiculous ideas. He's actually a professional. He works.
He's in the tax business, I'll have to say that. And he has a really good job, and he always wants to open up his own business. And he's been doing this for years. He always comes up with these ideas. And I don't usually say anything because it never really materializes, and I don't have to worry about it. So now he's come up with this idea that he's going to open up a bar. gone as far as going and looking at spaces and you know writing up this business plan and doing all this stuff and he is going he says he's going to quit his job in the next like two months and he is going to open up a bar and i and i'm just serious because first of all i mean he makes really good money we have you know we have a mortgage we have a lifestyle that we are not going to be able to maintain on a bartender's salary. Well, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. There's a difference between a bartender and a bar owner. Well, yeah, the bartender bar makes more money. Maybe you're right. Wow. Maybe you're right. I mean, you know, you open up a new business, you don't make any money for a couple years, first of all, and that's if the business even succeeds. I mean, do we really need another bar? Yeah, but do we really need another?
Unsupportive wife. Oh, Michael. Is he not happy at all? She's trying to be logical. I mean, in this economy, it might not be the best. I ain't saying she a gold digger. No. In this economy, it is the worst idea possible to open up any kind of business, let alone a bar, when people are staying in more because people can't even afford to go out. Is that your dream? Is this what you hear? Let me ask her. Go ahead. Go ahead. Would you be open to it if the economy wasn't the way that it was? No. I mean, we have kids. We, you know, we have a busy lifestyle, and he's going to be working. I mean, he doesn't get that. He doesn't get to go in and just sit at the end of the bar and smooth with the customers. I mean, he's going to have to work until 4 o'clock in the morning, and he's going to have to work weekends. Are you okay saying what your husband does for a living? He's a tech. attorney oh those guys okay bank yeah well they're also smart they're smart as a wit and he's intact so he knows economics that's the thing it's like oh listen usually when people are successful when people are successful and trisha i don't know your husband but usually when people are successful to that level to the level that your husband is they're sharp cats but they could also be having like a midlife crisis it's true
Do you not believe that he will... Now, wait a minute. You just said, I did not marry a bar owner as if being a bar owner is somehow... Well, no, but it's a different lifestyle. Right. Totally different lifestyle. I mean, he's going to be going to work... at noon every day and coming home at 4 o'clock in the morning and sleeping all day. Sounds great. You're never going to be around on the weekends. You know, you're open on the holidays, except for maybe Christmas. And, you know, I mean, that's not the life I signed up for. I see her point there completely. When you have kids and dad's not going to be around because he has to work on Christmas, man, that's a bummer. Maybe the guy's fried, man. Maybe the guy's fried and wants to do something that he enjoys. Yeah, and I understand that. He's been busting butt, making a ton of dough. Maybe she supports him. I don't think that he realizes that he's going to be working twice as hard as a business owner. I bet he knows. I bet he knows. He's going to have. I bet she's told him. You know, you know, 20 something year old. Oh, it's making a little bit more serious. I worked my way through college. I worked in restaurants and bars. I know what goes on in restaurants and bars. No.
Owning the bar. Now I get it. But here's the thing. If he owns the bar and a holiday or something comes around, nighttime, you have bar managers. The owner's never there. That's not the issue. For the first year, he will have to be there unless you find somebody that he can trust. Mikey. Yeah. It's not the issue. It's not the issue. It's not the issue at all. You guys get it. You girls know what it is. You guys know what the bit is. Okay, but I think it's all-encompassing. It is the fact that there are going to be like... floozies and late night things and all that kind of stuff, but it's a completely different lifestyle than a 9-to-5 tax attorney or like a seasonal tax attorney. He won't be around at night. I think we unlocked this. He won't be around at night with the kids with their homework. We unlocked the mystery. It's a lifestyle change. She's not saying it's just about the girls, but that's part of it. M1 Michael from La Jolla, go ahead. My name is Michael. Listen. I've been married for 10 years, and this is the same problem I run into with my wife. I want to create this whole big business, and she keeps saying, no, it's not realistic. But the one fan for me that I want to believe in me is my wife. Yeah. I call at my house, it's Team Woods. And that's the best thing about my wife is if I said, hey, Jamie, I'm going to go open a fruit stand. She'd be like, well, I think you're nuts, but I love you, and I'll support you, and I'll be behind you. Love that. Oh, that's so awesome. In a heartbeat, she would.
That is so awesome. In a heartbeat. Listen, I'm not against Trisha. She'll be behind you working at your fruit stand until you can't pay your mortgage. Trisha. You know what? We'd be fine in a one bedroom because if we've got each other, that's all we need. Yeah, but not when you have kids and responsibilities and your kids need clothes for school and books and they want to be in Boy Scouts and there's dues every month. Hey, listen, I'm not against you, Trisha, telling him how you feel. I'm just against you rubbing it all over his face. Tricia, do you work? Yes, I work too, and I make a substantial amount of the household income. Well, good. There you go. Problem solved. You guys will be fine. Perfect. You'll be fine for a couple years while your husband lives his dream. Yeah, imagine if Ralph Rubio's wife. Yeah, said, oh, don't open a restaurant. $91 million. Yeah, don't open. Oh, really? You're going to open a fish taco stand? Really? Really? You're that good. Really? I've got a buddy who opened a bar in PB and just a small little bar. And he was, you know, he had two nickels to rub together. Thrusters? Nope. Bubz. Bubz. I love Bubz. He turned it into the first thing. He bought the place next to him. Then he got a place up in, I think it's off of D Street. It's not the D Street bar.
Yeah, First Street, and then he's got one in Oklahoma. The guy is rolling in it now, and he's got married since, and he's very faithful. He's a great guy. Seems like we're missing the point, though. It seems to me like the point is whether or not the bar will work out. I don't think that's the point. I think the point is supporting your husband. No, I support my husband. We support each other, but we have to make decisions that are... responsible for our entire family. This isn't like 10 years ago when we got married and we didn't have kids and we didn't have a huge mortgage payment. And maybe we could have, you know, tried some different things. But right now we're in a lifestyle that we have to continue to maintain and support. Trisha, I agree with you. And I think that you need to be able to pay your mortgage and pay your bills. Nobody's disagreeing with that. Who would be in that case if you would? But I don't think that if you go to your husband, and you say to him, hey, listen, here's what the bills add up to. Here's what I make. All you got to say to your husband is, how's this work? Now, if your husband's answer to that is, I don't know. Well, listen, it's time to have a real serious conversation then. Maybe reevaluate your dream. But I got to imagine dude's got some kind of a plan. Of a noggin. Yeah, he's got a brain. He's got to have some kind of a plan. And also, is there a bigger beating than walking in the room and saying,
You know, I think I want to write. I want to write a record. I want to write an album. And your wife goes, idiot. You can't write a record. Really? You're like. Sure. Sure. I'll go back to the den. You know what, though? But it happens, too, where maybe he does this and the restaurant's not successful. Maybe it is. Because I know a lot of people that that has happened to. Maybe it is. M1 Dave, go ahead. Hey, how you guys doing? Good, buddy. Hey, I have two. I'm totally distracted by the noise. What was the noise? He's getting in the car. Is it a BMW? In or out of the car? What was the noise, Dave? That's not me. I have to go to work. Oh, okay. All right, Trisha. Well, we'll take calls. Can I tell you this? No. Can I just tell you guys? I have to tell you one other thing. His clever name for his new bar. Yeah. Can I tell you what it is? Yeah, go ahead. It is the American Bar Association.
That's hysterical. That's kind of cool. That's hysterical. And this is what he's basing his business plan on. Let him do it. A bunch of lawyers in there getting hammered. I wonder if people would pass it by, though, and be like, oh, that must be where the lawyers meet up. You just gave a plug to it. Yeah. You just gave a plug to it. You call it the ABA. No, you'll have beer stuff all in the windows and signs. That's true. Thanks, Trisha. All right. Thank you, guys. I would go there. Maybe take a lesson from Tammy Wynette. Yeah. Stand by your man. Okay. Yeah. This is good advice. It's great advice. Wise old sage. M1. Real. Real. What's up? How's it going? Good. How you doing? Not bad. I think she needs to stand by him and go to the bar, work the bar, have somebody watch the kids. You're a good woman. You know, get the kids' homework done. Support him, you know? You're a good woman. No, thank you. Yeah, no thanks. M1 Dave from Point Loma. But I keep my job I like. Dave, are you there? Yeah, hey, I'm here. Go ahead. Yeah, I had the exact same scenario, but mine was almost worse. You know, displaced executives looking for whatever to do and newly married. And my wife stood behind me. We opened up a burger place in Point Loma. And it's a grind. I mean, you know, you're talking about 12, 14-hour days, and you do sacrifice your family. But it's one of those things that if you have a dream or, you know, you want to make something happen, you know, you've got to be.
Everything has to be realistic. But you've got to be a team, and you've got to go in. She supported me the whole time, and we're working at it, but it's a tough deal. Hey, I appreciate it, Dave. Bro, that's why they call it a labor of love. Yeah. She needs to think, look, you have one life to live. Right now, he's not happy doing what he's doing. If he does this, even if it's not the most successful thing, if you guys don't make as much money, he's going to be happier and it's going to make your life better. And you're a woman. And the thing that you most look forward to doing is saying, I told you so. I told you you're going to do it. Oh, man. So it's like a win-win for you. That's right. Look how mad she is at me. Look at L.O.B. is giving you the Manson lamps. Bad. staring right through your soul. I'm on her nerves today. Oh, yeah. You're on every last nerve. This is what we just live for as women. Yes, you do. Just to say, I told you so. 100%. We've got no other personal aspirations. No. God forbid a guy lives his dream. God forbid. Let's feel pretty good, though. I can't believe that I'm hearing Lauren O'Brien say those words so sincerely. Yeah, she's dead serious. She's dead serious. Oh, look at that. Oh, my God. She just stared right through my body. I went through your skull. Yeah, you did. Local boys, P.O.D.
M1s, man. Listen to the show. Dude, how good? How good did Joey Beltran look? Just pummeling. Yeah. Pummeling competition. M1 Sanjaya sent us the link, and Mike and I watched it last night. It was rad. Do you know the name of his site? Because I told him. I said, dude, that's pretty cool. Whose site? Joey's? No, Sanjaya's. I don't. I wrote him and I was like, give me some info. It's on the thing. It's on our fan page, I believe. Hey, want to hear about Laura Bush telling Larry King last night about the time that she thought that she and W got poisoned? Wow. It's pretty crazy. It's pretty crazy. We'll go next. Oh, my God. It's better than I thought. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949 or shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com. The new home of the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Taproot. It's the Mikey Show. I'm picking the music today. Alright, so I told you when we came back.
I was going to play you this audio of... Oh, wow. I told you we'd come back. I was going to play this audio of Lord Bush. It's a pretty crazy sound, wasn't it? Yeah. When the door closes. I thought you were going to ignore it. Well, here's what's funny. Is that the door used to go boom when it closed. Now it goes... Sounds like Jay Leno. Yeah. Andy Rooney's like, I'm tired. So anyway, this is Laura Bush talking about the time that she thought that the president and her were poisoned. I was the first one sick, and then George got sick, and what we got was this sort of vertigo. So the Secret Service, you know, with an abundance of caution, started to look at all the food, including the European press, was very fascinated with it. And what the doctors decided was that we had all gotten a virus that...
attacks a nerve very close to the inner ear. So you had the symptoms of being a vertigo and nausea, the other symptoms that you would have if you had an inner ear problem. You were not poisoned. We were not poisoned. One of the ways that I was trying to quit drinking before I quit drinking was taking a medication called Antabuse. And it's a medicine that you take a pill and if you drink alcohol, you get sick. Well, that's what I had heard is that you get sick, right? It wasn't exactly getting sick. That's not what it really made you feel like. What I thought was it had worn off. It hadn't worn off. I had taken it like two days before, and it hadn't worn off, so I still had it in my system. Everything turned blue. My eyes went blue, and I stood up, and I started to walk, and I took about three steps. Rebecca and I were staying in this hotel. We were in the lobby of the hotel. and I'd been sitting in a chair in the lobby of the hotel, and I stood up, and I started to walk, and I knew in my brain, I can't continue to walk. I'm going to fall down. It just happened? It wasn't because of drinking something? Yeah, I drank alcohol. Oh, you did? Because it had been two days since I took the thing, and I'm like, oh, you know, it's worn off. Hadn't worn off. Still really in my system. And so I got up, I started walking, everything turned blue, and I was like, I'm going to fall down.
That's scary. How long? And I barely, barely made it to a seat. How long did it last? I had to sit there for about 20 minutes before it was able to like. Was everything still blue? Oh, yeah. It was blue. Oh, weird. And I had that vertigo, that feeling of vertigo. It's the only time I've ever experienced vertigo where I was like, you know, not balanced. It's like when all you can do is go home and go to sleep. You're done. Seriously? Who is that? Is it Garrett? No. What's up, Nick Ross? Oh, it's a topper. What's up, topper? Don't ever bang on that door so hard again. Hey, now, he's a topper. He can top you all day. Hey, now, yeah, he's that guy. It's my jam. Top, what's going on? That is my jam. What are you doing? That is my jam. If you've never met topper, he's 30. Hey. Hey.
Eight. You're saying 38 years old, but you're standing there with your pants halfway falling down. I think he means he's just eight. No, 38. Real funny. Nice cans. Here's the deal, though, with Topper. He's in very good shape. I mean, obviously. Check that. He's got the six-pack abs, right? Check these. He's 38. Ew, nipple rings. He's got nipple rings. And a tongue ring. And he's got on shades and his trucker hat turned to the side. What's up? I heard you talking about UFC, dude. It's exactly what you look like on your MySpace. Yeah, don't worry about it. All right. Hey, Mike, I heard you guys talking about UFC. Joey Beltran. Yeah, dude, I was there, man. I was in Montreal. Really? Yeah, man. You were there. Did you see Shogun beat Machida? Yeah, I did. Did you see me? No, I didn't. I was in his corner, dude. Oh, really? Yeah, dude. Whose corner? He's a friend. I was in Shogun's corner, man. So you were supporting him. You were in his corner. No, no. I was like.
In his corner. I bet I could see YouTube right now. Sure, yeah. You'll see me, man. I'm in the back. I'm in the back. Oh, so you're not right up in his corner. I'm in the back. You're friends with Shogun? Yeah. Well, then you must speak Brazilian if you're friends with Shogun. Where'd you watch the fight, dude? I watched it over at my friend, Dougie. I heard you got a big TV. How big's your TV? It's giant. It's about 61 inches. Mine's 74 inches. Is it really? What if I said it was 74 inches? I got an 80 inch. You got another one that's 80 inches. So I went up to Montreal and, dude, it was off the chain. Are you going to creep us out? It was off the chain. Don't creep me out. Hey, you know, they speak French up there. But the only French that this guy needed was, Bonjour, madame. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, c'est cela? That's the grossest thing ever. You know what that means? Yeah, we know. You know what that means? No. I don't. What does it mean? Would you like to sleep with me? Is that what it means? Is that what it means? That's what it means. It's gross. Canada's my stomping ground pimp. You know that. Oh. You know that. You're bragging about that? Hey, I looked up some Canadian high schools on Classmates. Ew, why? That's so gross. Ew. That's so gross. Let's just say. Why? Let's just say.
That the moose was loose. Okay. All right. Let's just not say that. Old Top might have struck some gold up there. That's the grossest thing. Now he's calling himself Top. That's disgusting. It's the grossest thing I've ever heard you say. Hey, you guys ever want to, man. You can come with me. I know Dana White. Dana White's a friend. Oh, is he? Yeah, dude. I'll text him right now. I'm in. Let's go. See when the next one is. Hold on, dude. You're going to text him? We used to hang, man. He had a house in Malibu. We used to grill tilapia out on the deck. Is that rad? Yeah, dude, it was rad. We bought a couple sea-doos. Wave runners? We had some hydros over. What's a hydro? No, it's a hydro. That's a high Joe? Yeah, that means, dude, if me and Dana get loose, you better high Joe daughter. Okay? Oh, that's gross. You're weird, Topper. He's a friend, man. No, he's a friend, dude. He's a friend. I was the first investor in UFC. You what? I was the first investor. Really? Yeah, I was the first. How much did you invest?
About 4.5 mil. 4.5 million dollars. How are you hanging out with us? Why do you work here? I don't work here. You know that. Why do you dress like you're 17? Well, because that's the look, man. Is it? That's the look, dude. I look dope, dude. What are you talking about? Yeah, you look like a dope. I look dope. Dude, your tongue's pierced. Oh, that is such a joy. Dana, he's a good buddy, dude. So let's say, you know, I invest up money. Let's say he owes me one or two. Dana White owes you money. Yeah, he owes me money. He owes you money. Yeah, man. One or two mil or one or two favors? He owes me one or two favors. So if you guys ever want to go to UFC, dude, all you got to do is call top, text me, shoot me, Skype me, whatever, man. I will. I'll Skype you. How about if I Skype you? Yeah, dude. I'll flicker you. It was rad, but I got a jet, dude. I got an appointment later. You do? Yeah, I got to go see a doctor. But I'll be back. I'll be back probably next week. You're going to go see a doctor? Yeah, I don't want to talk about it. Weird, gross, filthy. There's a little something going on. There's a little something going on. I'm not really sure what it is. You're a filter. But I'll be back. So, bonsoir, madame. Yeah, bonsoir. Bonsoir. Bonsoir, topper. Topper's out. Thanks. He creeps me out. Why is he talking to third person?
What kind of idiot does that? Woods just bounced his mouth into the microphone. That was hard. Are you okay? You alright? That's like bleeding. I don't know. Maybe we should call him the creeper instead of the copper. Could be. Go to the webcam. We have that. We can re-watch that. You go to MikeyShow.com and watch us on the webcam. You would have seen Woodsy. It's a little bit of a delay. He almost looked like a hockey player. I chipped my tooth. Oh, my gosh. I'm back to it. Isn't that funny? I'm sorry. Am I beet red? Because I feel I'm sweating. No. That microphone is hard. It's your tooth. So hard. One tooth. Oh, my gosh. I'm going to it. I want to see because I know that there's a delay. Is it in delay? No, no, no. It's live. We are delayed. Our audio is delayed. There, yeah. Well, I'm good. Oh, my gosh. I'm sorry. That's fantastic. It was not funny. Wasn't it? What? Hey, you guys want to do a $5 quiz? Yes! Let's do it. Come on. Let's buy a $5 quiz. I'm going to put my tooth chips up first. Are you sure Katie needs something? How's your enamel? I don't know. I should probably just take it to the house. See you guys in the morning. Do you need a hug? Maybe. Is it cut under your lip? Uh-uh. Just chew all over there. It's like you got black teeth.
Look at Lauren. Look at Lauren. Can't stand it. She delights in the misfortunes of others. I thought he was, like, really hurt, bleeding. I didn't. Yeah, he hit it pretty hard. It's pretty tough. All right, here's what we got in front of us. In front of us, we each have little cards that say A, B, and C on them. Is yours, Mikey? Yeah, I made them. They say A, B, and C. Okay. And we're going to do the $5 quiz. Everybody got your five bucks? Take out your five. Somebody's got to spot me. Yeah, I was going to say Topper. He's my five. There it is. I don't have any money on me. I don't care. Really? Debit only. That's in plastic. Yeah, Topper, you are a millionaire, according to you. Dude, would you carry around millions of dollars with you? No. Leave it in the bank, dude. I got a debit card. Maybe a couple ones. Yeah, I wouldn't carry millions, but maybe, you know, ten. I got a debit card with a Raiders logo on it. Oh! Oh, jeez. He's such a jerk horse. You can't get any worse than the Raiders. You can't get any more. Get out of here. I thought you were leaving. I don't really like him. He's got a debit card with the Raiders on it. Of course he does. All right. $5 quiz works like this. Jay is going to give us a question you play along in your car or at work. Now, the way that it works is it's either going to be A, B, or C. Are you writing it down? Yeah, still keep score.
We're just going to hold it up. Yeah, and you keep score, all right, L.O.B.? I do? I'll do it. You guys all cheat. I know what you said. Mikey, Sienna, Woods, who else is on the show? Lauren. All right, you ready? Okay, check it out. This is when animals attack. Oh, yes. Okay, an aggressive dog is coming towards you. What would you do? A, look in the eyes and back away. Throw, oh, B, I've got to get better at this. B, throw something at it to distract it. Or C, stand still until it goes away. And where do we... Now, we just hold up our answer. All right, I say A. Sienna says C. Woodsy says A. Lauren says C. So the boys agree, the girls disagree, but agree with each other. And the correct answer is C. Yeah! Girls are ahead. I just was part of the dog smart program at Helen Wilbur itself. I know. You need to avert your eyes and remain as still as possible. The dog will get bored and wander off. You should never look a dog in the eyes. FYI. It'll make him mad. All right. Fall in love with him. Two. Question number two. A dog is attacking you and you've been knocked to the ground. What would you do? A. Fight back. B. Curl into a ball and cover your neck. C.
Firmly shout off. We're all holding up B. Nice. And the answer is B. Yeah. Absolutely curl into a ball and cover your neck. Assume a fetal position and protect your face and your neck. Shouting or fighting back will stimulate the dog. Yeah, dogs usually always stop when you yell stop. Stop. Don't do that. I think if it responded, it wouldn't be doing that in the first place. Right. You would say, listen, I like the reason with you. Well, they're working on instinct instead of training at that point. That's right. Question number three. Say stop. Say don't do that. A. Gouge its eyes. B. Grab its gills. Or C. Punch it in the snout. I have A and Sienna Woods and Lauren have C.
So the shark has you in its mouth. Gouge it with its eyes as hard as you can using your thumbs because your thumbs... Oh, if you're already in its mouth. Yeah, but if it's coming towards you, you punch it in the nose. Mikey got that. Nobody else did. Okay. You guys got to get shark knuckles. It's brass knuckles for sharks. If you're going to be in a shark's mouth, who's going to be like, here's what I do. Yeah. Am I in the shark's mouth yet? I took the $5 quiz. I know. Yeah. I remember this. Helping people one shark at a time. Okay. Question number four. A shark's fins break the surface of the water near you. What would you do? Poop my pants. A, swim away. Oh, God. Bear. B, stare it down. Oh, God. Or C, play dead. I want to know the answer really bad. But I, Lauren, and Sienna all answered C, and the guy from Texas answered A. Okay. You are all wrong. You stare it down. What? Stare it down. What does that mean? The best option is to orient yourself towards the animal. Establish firm eye contact with it and try to stare it down. Throw your brow and stare it in the eyes. If I'm underwater, it's going to be hard to stare it down. You blinked. You lose. What does that mean? I don't want to see it coming towards me. I love it. It means get underwater and open up your eyes. It says if you play dead, it wants to come bite you just to see if you'll move. And then if you swim away, it's like, hey, check it out. There's live prey. They throw poop at it.
So stay still is what it means. I would think stay still. Because obviously a shark can't tell that you're staring it down. Can't it? Can't it. Okay. Maybe I can. I scream like a girl. I guess I'll stare it down the next time that happens. What's the score? Who's in the lead? Everybody has two and I have one. Okay, so here we go. Question number five. You have been bitten by a poisonous snake and you are miles away from a hospital. What do you do? A, allow the wound to bleed and hike back slowly to your car or camp to get help. B, tie a tourniquet above the wound and make a small incision below the wound to release the poison. Or C, suck out as much of the poison as you can with your mouth. Me and Woodsy answered correctly, B. And Lauren and Sienna answered incorrectly, C. The correct answer is A, allow the wound to bleed and hike slowly back. Between the snake bite and the heart can cut off oxygen supply to other parts of the body and kill tissue. Did you get this from Mad Magazine? No. Where are you getting these facts? Cut and suck method pushes venom deeper into the wound, increasing the heart rate, and spreads the venom throughout the body. Why not see? He said cut and suck. What you want to do is you don't want to get your heart rate up because all it's going to do is pump it through, so you allow it to bleed and you just make your way. I take that knife.
that I was going to make the incision with, and I plunged it into my throat so that I'd die and I don't have to hide back. You don't have to worry about getting back then. Yeah. And I have one final question. Okay. So once again, do we need a great equalizer here of points? Yeah, this will be worth three. Mikey, me, and Lauren have two. Woods has one. Right, so we need to make this one worth five points. This is a five-point question. Here we go. Here you go. You've been taken hostage. Nothing to do with animals, apparently. What would you do? A, humanize yourself, talk about your family. B, do nothing to draw attention to yourself. Or C, try to slip away unnoticed. And one more time, do that one more time. Yeah, that was hard. Okay, you've been taken hostage. What would you do? Humanize yourself, which is A, talk about your family. B, do nothing to draw attention to yourself. Or C, try to slip away unnoticed. It depends on if it's just you or a group of people. Just you. You've been taken hostage, not your family. Me, Sienna, and Woods say B. Lauren says A. And Lauren is our winner. Wait, what do you do? Humanize yourself. Humanize yourself. See, I wouldn't want to irritate her. I don't care about your mom. I think I saw that on Silence of the Lambs. He does care about your mom. He's like, he goes, they were showing the girl and they were saying her name and Starling goes, that's smart.
There was a story in the news the other day about a babysitter who was watching the kids and robbers came in and she offered him a Coke and said, do you want anything to drink? And, you know, and then they left. Really? Yeah. That was a good move. So I guess just be friendly. You got to be friendly. Lauren's a rich woman now. She's got 15 bucks. Here you go. Take one down, pass it around. There you go. Let's see. Pure Prairie League. Let me love you tonight. Kenny G. I'm little Michael Shannon. 1977. Schwarzenegger was busting on Arizona. Weird. We got the audio. It's next. You're listening to The Mikey Show. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

It's true. And put them on the website. And then a big group picture with us all together. You can't be in it. Mikey's going to be the only one without a mustache. Really? Yeah. He's going to have a left out. How about this? You can take the picture. We'll let you take the picture. Oh, that's a good idea. He'll just take the picture. Lord and I will have fake mustaches on.
Can I ask you a question, Woodsy? Yeah. Does your wife have any issue with you just having a mustache? No, I'm a man, dude. I run my own house. I run my own house. Mine does. I run my house. Yeah. I do what I want. You said that Jamie's complained, but still you still do it. Actually, last night she goes, she's like, it's kind of like a real beard. She's like, I've never seen you like this. She goes, I'm kind of getting used to it. See, I want the beard off and I want to just see the crustace. I'm dying to see him shave the beard. I got to do this judging thing at the Miss Mission Beach on Sunday. I'm going to go there with a porn crustace. You look perfect. It's going to be. Trust me. It's like Burt Reynolds. You're going to fit in just fine down there. Yeah, listen. Hopefully it grows out plenty by Friday. Get some Indian food stuck in it. Really? Really? Clown. He'll be tasting curry all day. Smelling it all day. Well, they've got to bet. Jay and Woods have a bet. Who's got the longest drive? So they're going to be hitting balls tomorrow, and we'll find out. If Jay loses, he's got to eat veal. Hasn't had meat in 22 years. That is nuts. Our entire show, after the meet and greet, we're going to do a family night and go out to dinner somewhere. I probably won't eat. If I have to eat Indian food, I'll probably vomit so much that I won't want to eat. So if I go home, that's why I went home. So there you go. Get over yourself. Throw up, Peter Pan. Seriously. You guys are all clowns. Maybe take some Pepto-Bismol. Maybe I bring some diapers down there. Are you going to cry, too? Diapers, yeah. I can't wait until that veal juice is running down your chin. Real good.
Either way, it's going to be fantastic. That was not a moo. Either way, Jay's going to be eating veal or Woodsy's going to be eating Indian food. It's going to be a sight to see, so make sure you come down. Hoolies, La Mesa, Friday, 5 to 7. Bring the kids. Somebody bring me a Red Sox hat to throw up into, please. Are there any things that you guys can think of that we should work on bringing back? I mean, Woodsy and... You got the handlebar mustaches coming back. Yeah. Love that. Slap-on bracelets. Gunfights. Slap-on bracelets? You can still get those. Really? Six-shooter gunfights. Jenna has one. Do you remember the slap-on bracelets? Do you know what my husband's trying to bring back? What? This is why I love this guy. He's so weird. What? He, the other day, when we went to Mexico for my friend's wedding, he... you know, was all dressed up for the wedding and he had his coat and he draped his coat over that one shoulder and had his finger holding like around his neck. And he's like, I'm going to bring this back. Just like the coat over the shoulder. Like a Blake from an 80s movie. Yeah, sure. And you're holding it with your index. Somebody James Spader played in an 80s movie. 100%. And did you ever notice too, speaking of the one shoulder,
I have a backpack now that I put my laptop in. And it's like not cool to do the one strap on the backpack anymore. What? It's not, dude. You do the two. Is that why you do that? But see, it's reversed from when you and I, probably just you and I were in middle school, high school. Me too. You never did both. Oh, yeah. You were a dork if you put both straps on. I wonder if in high school, because when I went to school, it was like that. When Sienna went, when you guys went, we have an age gap. I wonder if in school, it's still. Question. You're telling me that it's dorky to put one strap over your arm? Yeah, it's like you're trying to be cool. Yeah. Unless you're in a hurry. Well, I never thought of putting one strap as, quote, trying to be cool. I didn't. I thought it was functional. No, back then. You thought it was functional? No, it's way more functional for two. It's more work. Less strain on your neck. Less strain. Yeah, you put the weight then on like your hips and your legs instead of your shoulders. It's less strain on your tiny little neck. Really? No, yeah. I think my sister, well, now in high school, the girls don't even have purses or backpacks or anything. They just carry their books. But I remember my sister was like, I'm going to be a rebel. I'm going to get a backpack. And she does both straps and she's cool as can be. Dude, do you remember, well, this is rabbit hole, but I don't care. Do you remember the day, like the ordering of the backpack in my house? It was like, it was L.L. Bean in Connecticut. I was like, please get me the good backpack I want. Please get me the good backpack. Because if you didn't have a cool backpack, you.
Got hammered. First day of school. Hammered. Really? My backpack was like $100. For real? Yes. My dad's like, are you freaking kidding me? Put them in a grocery sack. Did you guys have the backpack? It might have like ink spots on it because it had already been used by my brother and sister. Like I was not ordering $100 LLB. I always got the Jansport. I had a green one. I had the black one. I had them all. I got my favorite backpack. I got this backpack. It was the coolest thing ever. And then I come to go to school the next day and my mom has. Sewn patches on it. And they're like flowers and peace signs. She's like, look how cool you are. See, that's cool to me. That just made me. That's terrifying. Remember, I went to visit my brother at USC and bought a backpack at the bookstore. Cool. It's a USC backpack. And my brother, Steve, took it with him to the U of A. And like trashed it up. And took it with him to the U of A. And this was what I remember being in high school. When your older brother did something like that, there was no recourse. There was no appeal. There was no police. There was nothing that you could go to. There was nothing that you could do if your brother wished to do anything to you. It was a brother rule. You can't do anything about it. And first of all, if you go to the cops, you're a rat. So if I go to my mom and dad, I'm just a little...
He would use the P word. Yeah, and you'd probably catch a beating, too. Yeah. He'd beat me up, and he'd go, really? A little P word? A little P word? Is that what you are? It's like waiting for him. And I remember being on the phone with him. I'd be on the phone with him, and he would all calmly, he'd go, shut up, and mom and dad will hear you. And so I would. Like a dummy, I'd shut up and be like, why'd you take it, though? Why'd you take it? And he'd go, shut up, and mom and dad will hear you. He was still afraid of your parents, though, when he was how many miles away? I know it. I know it. That's the greatest thing ever. That is like the whole relationship of Wayne and Kevin in The Wonder Years. Constantly just like pounding on him, calling him a butthead. Embarrassing in front of his friends. You know what else I think we should bring back? What? This is so weird. Remember like in the 20s? No, we don't. Like in the movies, I mean.
When every man had a hat on and he would take his hat off and he would enter the building. So down with it. Like, you would wear a hat everywhere you went. Are you? What? I am, dude. You want to be Justin Timberlake, dude. You really do. I want to be Justin Timberlake. Get your little fedora out for the golf game. By the way, I just denied it that I want to be Justin Timberlake. But the truth is, there's a lot worse things you could be than Justin freaking Timberlake. You guys going out with Jessica Biel? Yeah, is there? Really, dude? Justin Timberlake walked in here right now. You wouldn't think he's a sharp cat. I'd say, hey, clown. The ladies are right. Ladies love Justin Timberlake. That's too bad for me. LLJT. Uh-huh, uh-huh. Take three. No clouds in my stones. Let it rain. I hide your plane in the bank. Coming down like a cow's jones. When the clouds come, we go. We rock a fella. We fly higher than weather. And she vibes her better. You know me. in anticipation for precipitation stack chips with a rainy day jay raymond is back with little miss sunshine rihanna where you at you have my heart and we'll never be worlds apart

After reading, after discussing, after searching, you realize that at this school you don't memorize the answers to questions, you ask them. The Rady School of Management at UC San Diego. Innovators under construction. Learn more at rady.ucsd.edu. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I made an interesting observation over the weekend about myself, which was, at what age do we just start to use the word? Wonderful. Lauren. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. Woods. If I had my choice, I'd be sitting on a beach having a Marlboro. Doing nothing. Sitting. Playing my guitar. That's it. Sienna. Yes, I have big boobs. And Jay. I'm so tired. On FM 94.9. Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. Schwarzenegger was making some jokes about Arizona. This is always a good move. Cracking jokes. I like our, I like, what do you guys think of them? Plebeian. I'm a fan. You like him? Mm-hmm. I like Garney. I just can't get the image of him as, like, kindergarten cop out of my head. I'm Conan. I can't either. Have you guys seen him in the commercials for California? Oh, yeah. I love those. Tourism, where he goes, I'll be back, and he's sitting there with... I love those commercials. Like, hey, yeah. I had a board meeting, and the guy's on his surfboard. It's the greatest. Well, Ronald Begum was president, and he was an actor. That's true. This is him at Emory University.
And here was his crack. I was also to go and give a commencement speech in Arizona. But with my accent, I was worried they're going to deport me back to Austria. So I canceled that idea right away. She's a local legend in Austria, Michael. Is he? Don't ever, ever run that little Mexican mouse about Arnold. Ever. What? Something about a mouse. Don't ever run your mouse about Arnold. Wait, wait. Don't run my mouse about Arnold. What would having a mouse and running it happen? He said Mexican mouse. Like Speedy Gonzalez? I don't have a Mexican mouse. I don't have a mouse. I've never owned a mouse. M-O-U-T-H. Mouse. Mouse. I never have. Arnold is great. He's revered in my country. And in my other country, Germany. I like how he closes his eyes when he does that. Oh, my God. There's something else. That's great. Let's see. What else is happening? Did you guys hear about the gray whale off of Israel? They're calling it the most amazing sighting in the history of whales. Is it our boy Greg? No, not our Greg. No, no, no. Different gray whale.
They're comparing it. They said that this sighting of this gray whale off the coast of Israel is the equivalent of finding a dinosaur in your backyard. It was that unbelievable. Creepiest sound in the world. Apparently, scientists are really confused as to how the gray whale may have traveled from the Pacific to the North Atlantic because the most likely entry point... Anyway, no species of gray whale has been there for over 300 years. So seeing one there is unbelievable. I bet he swam there, if I had to guess. Yeah. I bet that's how he got there. I don't think he took a taxi. You don't think he's mastered teleporting here? No. I think he swam. In fact, I heard that he heard that the first 3D Playboy was going to be released in Israel. In Israel. It's going to be their first. He's going to check it out first. Oh, wow. He's going to be the first wearing those dumb glasses. It's Friday, 3D Playboy. Can't wait. Let's see. thousands of dollars were detonated by a bomb squad in florida on mistake i'm guessing right yes outside of a church there was a package that was found there was about 40 pounds and there was a note on it said for pastor whatever his name was and uh called the police they thought it looked suspicious the cops came called the bomb squad
And they detonated this package. And it turned out there was about $3,000 cash in there. Maybe drop that off at the secretary's office. Maybe don't leave it on the front porch. Yeah, it said for Pastor Nick. Tell me how new remote control cars are better than ever. It's the coolest thing you've ever heard. I love remote control cars. I got one for Jake and I play with it more than he does. Yeah. I love that. This article is, I have like 10 pages here of all these different kinds of remote control cars. I'm just going to go through them real quick and tell you about, you know, what's out there or what's coming out there this summer. Well, first of all, I just want to make it real clear. This is not a hobby because whenever I say things like this passively, I get the hardcore enthusiasts that want to get me onto the new lit. Listen, I got a $4 remote control car from CVS. That's all I have, and I love it, and I'm fine. Okay. People are like, you don't have a Biperbo. You've got to get the Biperbo that uses real kerosene. When is Jake's birthday? Jake's birthday. September. You're going to want to get him these because these are rad. Okay. I'm going to start with a Hawkeye. I already have one. It's from CVS. It runs on a 9-volt battery. No, no, no. You just wait for this.
How about you get the Hawkeye? $65. It's a helicopter with a built-in video camera. It flies up in the air, shoot videos, and for five minutes of video or 150 still photos. It can be stored on a removable USB key, which is detached and plugged in the computer for uploading and editing. Can I just tell you? It's rad. This would be me. This would be me. I would spend $4,200 on that. I would crash it within the first 20 seconds and never touch it again. Get completely, completely destroyed. I could take it into an open field and I would be like, oh God, here it comes, here it comes, and then just bang, done. Never touch it again. People would come in your garage and be like, what's that? That looks cool. You'd be like, oh, it's a helicopter. They go, oh, do you fly that? It's the Hawkeye. I bought it. Sienna told me to get it. I want one. I know. I want one too. This is just $25. It's one of the cheaper of the ones. And it's called the Stealth Ride. And it's the size of an iPhone, but a third of its weight. When you push a button, this disc-like form snaps into a fully functioning 3D car. Nice. Push of a button. That is rad. Agent Black shoots water.
It's $80. Is it a car with remote control? Yeah. It works off lithium batteries. It can run for 40 minutes. Can Garrett be annoyed if I was running one of those up and down the halls? I don't know. It's so cool. Knocking on people's doors? Not yet. That would annoy anybody. That would annoy all the red tapers. I'm running a remote control car. There's insurance involved in that. It's just a bit. My helicopter chasing it down the hallway. Yes. How about the switchblade? $70. It takes off in the form of a spinning saucer and then transforms into a flying jet in midair. Nice. Cool. It's killer. I like it. Nano Zero Gravity, $30. It's a pocket-sized race car. It can be driven up walls and across ceilings. Wow. That is awesome. That is awesome. There's more of these things. It's like a little boy's dream. We should post them. We'll put them somewhere on the website. No, a little boy's dream is that 3D Playboy. Trust me. All right. There's a dating site for Apple fans only. This is so weird. Makes sense to me. Okay, but they don't ask common questions like, you know, what are your hobbies? They ask like, tell me what's on your iTunes playlist. What's your operating system? Yeah, stuff like that. What people are in on it, it's called... Safari or what's the other one? Internet Explorer. Maxzilla.
Yeah. Mozilla. Firefox. Firefox. If you're interested in this, it's called Cupid Tino. Cupid Tino dot com. And it launches in June. Greetings. My Tino, I wonder. Yeah. Greetings. I don't know. Cupid Tino. All right. Let's see. A couple of other things that I didn't mention. Oh, the Miss USA deal is huge. This is a big story. Yes, you may have seen the pictures all over the TV right now or the Internet. The USA pageant's coming up. It's going to be held on May 16th in Vegas. And days before this pageant, they've had all 51 contestants in lingerie doing some pretty risque poses. And normally, you know, they release these pictures, but they're in gowns and stuff like that. So people are like, what's going on? This is way too sexy for Miss USA. So people are mad. I'll tell you why. Why? One word. Trump. It is. He owns it. Trump owns it. That's why. Sensational. Yeah. He's like, yeah, this will be sensational. I'll do it. People will talk about it. Write articles about it. Talk about it on the Mikey Show. Yeah. The girls are wearing lacy lingerie, knee-high boots, fishnets. They're on a bed. Sounds great. They don't get judged on their looks, though. So that's the weird thing about those pictures. What's the beef here? I'm looking for the beef. Because I want things like Miss USA and Miss America to be, like, pure.
It's what I want. But I don't get what I want. Because they don't get judged on their looks, right? Isn't that the deal? Isn't that the deal? I'm just kidding. You don't see someone's overweight winning that thing. I don't know, man. Because I'm like an old man. I want stuff to stay pure. Yeah. Are we going to freak out 20 years from now when our kids, the story is, oh, yeah, Miss USA. Now she comes on stage naked. Yeah. Oh, and they show it on TV. Sold. Now I'm in. Sold. See? I'll be the old guy going. I'll be the old codger. Yeah, I will. Remember when? Yeah. Back in the 2010s. They wore gowns. Well, in Europe, there's commercials where they'll show, like, boobs and stuff. They've always done that. I was fired up when we went to London when I was a kid. I heard if you flipped a page, something. In the regular newspaper, there was a nudie shot. So, of course, I did. That's weird. Page three. Page six, I thought. Six. Page three. No, six is the page six gossip here in the States. Page three in London, I went. And, of course, there was a nude girl. And I ripped it out and pulled it up and put it in my pocket. Smart kid. You probably still have it. Yeah. 13 years old. It's framed. Next to my bed. Jamie doesn't know why. Old creeper.
Let's see. I was born a creeper. I'm going to die a creeper. Yeah, I'm going to say creeper on my tombstone. That's right. Sarah Palin's going to release a book? Mm-hmm. What's it about? Yeah, in November. About 200 pages. It's called America by Heart. Oh, it's a picture book. Oh, it is? Is it, Sarah? Yeah, there's different illustrations. Of what? Oh, you know, just some moose and some other hokey-dokey kind of things. So your book is going to be... Just dink it around. Nothing serious, you know. Really? I don't know. Illustrations of moose sounds serious to me. No. Maybe some hockey pucks. Yeah, that sounds good. Her new book, which is supposed to be out in November, America by Heart, is basically a tribute to American values. I guess it's going to include selections from classic and contemporary readings that have moved her. I'm out. And just so you know, but her first book, Going Rogue, sold more than 2 million copies. American values, like having your 16-year-old get knocked up and give birth. People are going to buy it. I don't know why. Wait, what do you mean, and give birth? What? She got knocked up and gave birth. Yeah. But what's she supposed to do if she gets knocked up? No, I'm just saying that have your kid and have a kid. Nothing more American than that. That's right. 16. Make it right. Let's see. 570-1949 is our number.
And don't forget, we're out at Hoolies on Friday. Love to see you out there. Woodsy and Jay are going to be paying up on their bet. One of them is. Because tomorrow they're going to be driving their golf ball. Whoever can hit that sucker the longest is going to be the winner. The loser, if it's Woods, has to eat Indian food. And the loser, if it's Jay, has to eat veal. I'm so nervous. I'm not going to sleep a wink tonight. And if you have or can grow a mustache, come out. We're going to give you an awesome prize for the best mustache. Mustache May. We're going to have our brand new sticker is going to be out there. We're going to have our Mikey Show sticker. Sticker looks like our billboard that you see all over San Diego County right now. All ages until 10 o'clock at night. And, you know, that's when people start swinging from the chandeliers, man. Hey, there's something I'm fired up about on our station tonight at 8. What is it? M1s, tune in tonight. I'm telling you, this album will change your life. The 8 o'clock album tonight is? is Stranger's Almanac by Whiskeytown. It's Ryan Adams. It's Ryan Adams' first band. It is so good. Hilary, how good is that record? It's so good. It's so good. That's awesome. It'll change your life. I'm not kidding. Woodsy loves Ryan Adams. He sure does. I do, man. Hilary, what do you got coming up?
Well, I've been trying to keep better track of requests that people call in on my show, so I have some leftover from yesterday that I didn't get to, like Sprung Monkey and the Von Bondys. I'll get those on. The new one from The National and Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. Nice. Lovely and Talented Hillary is up next, and we will come back tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock and do it all over again. The Mikey Show's out. All day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
