Sienna described the fatal robbery of Garrett Berkey after a fake Craigslist sale, and the cast urged people to treat transactions with strangers cautiously. Mikey, Lauren O'Brien, Sienna, Woods and Jay Isbell fiercely criticized the mother who gave eight-year-old Brittany Botox, arguing that pageant culture did not excuse abuse or teaching a child that looks are everything. Jessica's breakup question split the room: Lauren demanded a face-to-face conversation, Mikey favored emotional distance, and Woods proposed simply fading away. Around those serious debates, the show found comedy in Lauren's spider panic, a judge's strange insult, an overexcited park ranger and the crew's shaky command of basic adult skills. Mikey closed with a personal account of alcoholism, depression, faith and recovery, directing listeners in crisis toward help.

What happened, in order

  1. Friday the 13th

Sienna's fear of Friday the 13th sent the cast through competing religious, numerical and pop-culture explanations for the superstition.

  2. Craigslist robbery killing

Sienna reported that 18-year-old Garrett Berkey was robbed through a fake Craigslist ad and fatally shot after following the suspects to get their license plate number.

  3. Lauren's spider panic

Lauren O'Brien Googled a large spider in her house, panicked at an animated image and left her broom outside in case the spider was hiding in it.

  4. The judge's jockstrap insult

The cast dissected a Wisconsin judge's bizarre remark to a convicted child molester and debated whether courtroom decorum still mattered in such a case.

  5. Radical park ranger

A park ranger berated teenage snowboarders for wrecking landscaping, boasted about his own 1970s vandalism and became the target of the cast's running commentary.

  6. The $300 favor

The hosts debated whether a listener should violate his no-loans-to-friends rule after the friend who helped him move immediately asked to borrow $300.

  7. Botox at eight

Mikey, Lauren, Sienna, Woods and Jay condemned a mother who injected her eight-year-old daughter Brittany with Botox for beauty pageants, arguing it was abuse and a damaging lesson about appearance.

  8. How to end a relationship

When Jessica asked how to leave her boyfriend of a year, Lauren insisted on an in-person breakup while Mikey preferred distance and Woods advocated the much-mocked fadeaway.

  9. What adults should know

The crew tested themselves against a list of skills people should have by 20, including cooking, sewing, banking, waking on time and changing a tire.

  10. Mikey's recovery testimony

Mikey described years of fear, depression and alcohol dependence, then said surrendering to God and seeking help changed his life.
