The Kid gets chilly in the studio but pregnant Sienna says it’s too hot. So long Simon from American Idol. Paula Abdul’s enunciation provokes Tom Tom Girl. Apple is now tops over Microsoft and Woodsy is all in. Rocky music moment arrives as Woods describes the Padre’s exciting walk-off dinger in the 13th inning. “Vicodine Guy” is told not to bother showing up to Chargers’ mini-camp. In a store shopping for DVD players Woods gets the shock of his life and then runs out of the store in a panic with Jamie. You have to listen to it if you don’t know what I’m talking about! Afterwards, he saw Tom Delonge at an eatery. That rascal Luke calls in to tell Mike to leave the house for his big Memorial Day bash he’s throwing. CNN lets the n-word fly during a feel-good news story. A call about a friends’ child that is out of control leads to talk about what is out of line when it comes to disciplining other people’s kids. Jake doesn’t understand Mikey’s rules, but he sure is good with numbers! The 2 year smoking cigs; is he for real or is it somehow faked? LOB laugh clips generate a round of impressions and Jamie calls in with her dead on version. Mikey Show Haikus get every cast member, but Sienna haikus are still the best! Next up is the heart-wrenching story about Lauren ending her relationship with Matt, announced live for the first time. Even through tears, she stayed strong through this touching moment. Mikey and The Kid have to issue a warning to all the anxious creepers out there to back off. Embarrassing moments when you’ve mistaken somebody are next. Mikey wore a blue shirt to Best Boy and was mistaken for a store worker. LOB doesn’t mind a teenaged boy throwing a “hey beautiful” at her. The Kid admits he “may have done things” watching M1 Winder’s sister who was the hot blond in Teen Wolf. Mikey wears crocs and a straw Mexican hat when gardening. Mexican Spaghetti is announced, Mike’s theme party idea to end all theme parties! The rest is now a classic Mikey Show moment. Young Mikey used to take a public bus to go fishing by himself. Obama’s handling of the oil spill starts a debate. A Dumb & Dumber Donald Duck theater closes out this great morning of radio!

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. 570-1949 is our number. Come on, give us a call. Call us, talk about anything you want. Beginning and end of every show we do that. We allow you to call and talk about whatever you got. Today is Lauren's last day with us for this week because she's... Going back to Jersey. Are you going to come back with a thick Jersey accent? Yeah, you know it. Do you do that when you go there? Do you ever pick that up when you go back here now? You do? Yeah. You do? Mm-hmm. That's good. Yeah. It's going to be weird that I'm not going to be here. Yeah, if you're wondering where we are, we'll just be here in the trenches real good. Taking grenades. Taking grenades for you. That's what he's bit. If anybody's ever out. We'll be here. We'll be here. I'm sure I'll get a text message. Oh, yeah, you will. Let me know that. For sure. Mm-hmm.
Welcome to the program. Five people on the show. Myself, Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. And if you'd like to hear the sultry, seductive sounds of Jay's voice, you can call now. Actually, you'll be hearing the sultry, seductive voice of Chris. He is our phone screener. And that's three days a week, but we'll do like a bake sale. Be able to maybe mix together enough money to have him on five. That'll be wonderful. But you give us a call. 570-1949 is the number. Last night. Really? Is it that cold? You guys. Maybe turn the temperature up. No, because then he turns into like 78. Is that right? Yes. One time it was. Woodsy, how come you don't put the temp up? We have control. She gets hot. Do you really? Do you get hot? Yeah. I try to be nice. Really? Okay, it says 72 degrees in here, and he's shivering like he's in a hangeloo. So's Lauren. So's Lauren. So's Lauren. So's Lauren. I'm a woman. It's freezing. I don't think it. I'm going to go look. I don't believe it's... It says 72. I can see it right now. Now it just went to 71. Yeah, it's going down. It's 71. It's a brisk 71. It was 72 three seconds ago. What's the thing in the right-hand corner say?
The top right here. They both say 71. It's set to 71. Yeah. Mike, you're in sandals and jeans like me and you have a t-shirt on. Well, question. If I put it to 74, would it be too high? Would it be too much? Yes. For real? It would be a gasana. For real, Sienna? Well, I believe her because I remember this. My wife, you know how girls are. Girls are cold all the time. But when my wife was pregnant with Jake, she would get out of the shower when she was soaking wet. turn the air conditioner on and position herself just perfectly underneath the air conditioner vent where it just hit her perfectly. And she would stand there with her arms out, soaking wet so that she would be wet with the air conditioner blowing on her because her body was a little furnace. It's so weird. Because your body works so hard. I can't sleep with the comforters anymore. Really? You kick it off and everything? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Now, you know what happened? As soon as Jake was born, Freezing again. Freezing again. See, because I'm always freezing usually, but things are different now. I think I know where it comes from. When my mom was pregnant with my little brother, I was five. It was the hottest summer in Texas history. 110 every day.
She used to keep the house at like 55 degrees. I was a little kid in like a turtleneck. Yeah. Here, mommy, I got you some food, you know. It was 100, I think it was 120 degrees the day she delivered my brother. Have you ever seen Father of the Bride Part 2? No, I think so. They have the kids. Oh, it's hilarious. Steve Martin's running around in like a scarf and a beanie and like a parka. He's like. Yeah, it's cold. Yeah. It gets cold. And yeah. Okay, well, there's so much to talk about. I have so much to go over. Last night, I don't watch American Idol, but last night was like the grand finale. Yeah, season nine. Crown a new winner that you'll hear about. You'll hear about no matter what because they'll be in pop culture. Listen, you may not have watched American Idol, but you know who Carrie Underwood is. You know who Clay Aiken is. Of course I did. It's great. Clay Aiken actually didn't win. I love Clay Aiken. But you know who Daughtry is? A lot of them didn't win. Daughtry didn't even win. Adam Lambert. Yeah, Adam Lambert. We end up knowing who they are because they end up selling a bunch of records and stuff. So here was the announcement last night when they said who the winner of American Idol is. The winner of American Idol. American Idol.
I didn't really care either way. Was that the guy? Yeah. You wanted the girl or the guy? No, I didn't really care. Crystal's really good. Yeah. Like, she's definitely proven herself. Crystal Brandy sucks or something? Bauer sucks. Right. Mama sucks is what Randy calls her. Yeah. And last night was Simon Cowell's last night on the show ever. Here's what he said in his little farewell speech. Didn't think I was going to be this emotional, but I genuinely am. I just want to say it's great to have this little one back. Yeah, he's talking about Paula Abdul. I claimed it. She did come back. Good call, Sienna. She came back and said a few words. Were they audible? No. They weren't. They weren't audible. She's very nice. Spring rag. Spring rag. Woo. All I said is true. You know, the show goes forward. It will be different. But I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support.
The fun. And everyone, your sense of humor. I mean, that's what's been the best part. Seeing these contestants back, that's what's made the show. And you know what the truth is? When everyone asks who's going to replace me, who's going to be the next judge, the truth is you guys are the judge of this show. And you've done an incredible job over the years. He does sound sad. I'm going to honestly, honestly miss you. And I want to thank everybody. I'm not going to name names, but the production team, the people who put all this together. Thank you very much indeed. It's been a blast. Thank you. He sounds choked up. Sounds like a gentleman. He sounded like extra British. Yeah. Didn't he? Yeah. Car Simon Cowell Drives is $1 million. Of course it is. What is it? It's called a...
Oh, my gosh. My brain just froze. One million dollars. My brain just froze. It's called a Maybach. Oh, you drive a Maybach? Mm-hmm. It's practical. It's practical. In L.A., yeah. Yeah. Very expensive automobile. Ugly. Ugly automobile. Yeah, it is. It is. Kind of looks like a weird Batmobile looking thing. Like a weird limousine-ish Batmobile. Yeah. It's ugly. Mm-hmm. Let's see. Paula Abdul, what do you want to hear? You tell me. Do you want to hear Paula Abdul's speech to Simon or Paula Abdul saying hello to the judges? Speech to Simon. What sounds more interesting? The Gettysburg Address. The Cheesecake Factory's menu. The back of this Tylenol container. Why am I curious? I want to know. Yeah, the reason. I want to see if she's sober. That's awful. Was she sober? Oh, that's so awful of me. I'd like to hear her Simon bit. Yeah, let's hear her Simon bit. Okay, let's see what she says to Simon. Simon. Oh, wow. Can you say that? Simon. Simon. Sounds like Tom Tom. Simon. Tom Tom. I would never do something like that, Woodsy. You wouldn't, Tom Tom.
I would never appear intoxicated on television. You don't know, though, TomTom. TomTom, you don't know. You don't know. What do you know about it? You don't know if she was. Are you speculating? I don't know much, Mikey, but I know I love you. I love you. All right. You've been listening to music, and what's this card? Aaron Neville, the big fan. Aaron Neville. Simon. That's all I got. Good night, everybody. She sounds good. Really? Okay. Who are we kidding? You know what? Simon really loves Paula. Oh, yeah, he does. Like, not in, like, I want to be with you way, but, like, you can tell. No, but he does. He genuinely just cares about her. You know, there was, when they would be on the show, they would be, you know, she'd be doing her thing where she was high or whatever. Was she high? She was on everything, I think. On what? Pain pills. So has she gotten help? I believe the deal was pain pills. I mean, she talked about how she, when she was a Laker girl, she had a back injury.
And that she had to take a lot of pills for the injury, but that she, you know, whatever. She survived a plane crash. That's why she takes him. Didn't know that. Yeah. Survived a plane crash. Did not know that. Yeah. But they would be sitting there at the table and they would cut to the judge's table and you would see him kind of like we do here. You would see him do a thing where he'd take like you. You couldn't tell exactly what he was doing, but he would be sitting next to her. He'd take his thumb and he would jab her in the side. Wow. And she would like go like this and she would call him out on it. She would go, she'd laugh and she'd go, Simon's just poking me. And he would act like, what are you talking about? You know? What do you mean? But they were doing like their own little bits. Like when you're like Woodsy over here. Yeah. Yeah. When you and Lauren will be like, you know. La La Land. Doing your, you know, playing with it. Yeah. And he would kind of do that thing with her. Yeah. Let's face it. The only reason they wanted me back here tonight is so that I could tell all of you the real reason why I really left. What if she did? What if she's like, because Bart so-and-so, the producer, was sleeping with so-and-so. He's an idiot. But I don't think that's what tonight is. Yeah, he's an idiot. So I know that's not what you wanted me to say, but bye. It's all about, is it? Although I will tell you this.
There's a baby backstage with Simon's haircut and sweetheart. It's your turn to feed him. What a weirdo. Not funny, not funny. Really, really weird. It's uncomfortable, right? I'm so uncomfortable. Everybody uncomfortable? First of all, baby would never have a haircut. That's weird. Yeah, that's a weird. It's uncomfortable. This is the thing. As I was watching the show, it was like they were trying to put together all these funny things and nothing was funny. Yeah, they shouldn't try that. They did. My wife made me, like, I was in bed. I was reading that book, Mike. And she goes, well, since you're reading, I'm going to watch whatever I want. And I was like, okay, we'll see how long this lasts. And I start reading the book, and I can't concentrate because I've got more on TV on. And they're doing bits. And they're like, it's Randy and Ryan. They're like, yo, dog, he's gone. Can you believe it? It's like my birthday, dog. He's gone. I was like, that's the best. This is American Idol. That's the best he got. Better writers helping you guys out. That was terrible. M1 Leisha from La Mesa. Morning, guys. Morning. Love your show. Thank you. Thank you. The Paula thing. I think this is my take on the whole thing. It was so scripted, and it was just so bizarre. All of her, like, little jokes, and then she'd pause for claps or laughs. It would be, like, silence. It's like a monologue. Crickets. No laugh or clap. That's right. It was really...
Thank you, Leisha. Can you picture her in her bedroom the night before being like, and pause for laughter. Right, right, right. Say your name. I got an email this morning when I woke up. I had an email from my wife that said that Janet Jackson performed and she said the observation that I made was how much she sounded like Michael Jackson. And I listened to it and I didn't really. I didn't get that vibe. Did you see the show, Sienna? I fell asleep around 9.15 and my husband woke me up and told me who won. I tried. I tried to stay awake. You didn't see Janet Jackson? I didn't see Janet. Janet Jackson performs and I don't know. Tell me what you think. Does it? Yeah. This is one thing that you guys just can't sing along to. You know what I think is funny? Todd the God actually stayed up the extra 45 minutes to watch the end of American Idol. No, he was watching the Celtics. Trust me, I begged him to watch it with me, and he was like, no, no, no. That's awesome, Sienna. That's awesome. Sienna falls asleep, and he's like, all right, good. Now I can concentrate. Come on, Lee. Come on, Lee. Come on, Lee. You guys, you know what, though? Let me tell you what trips me out. I'm looking at all the audio and stuff. These are some of the people that performed last night.
Alice Cooper, the people from the Bee Gees, Michael McDonald, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, Bret Michaels performed. Of course he did. Chicago. Chicago, Joe Cocker. Like, dude, I mean, Bret Michaels. You are so weird. Beautiful. Dude, sorry. Bret Michaels may be the most relevant guy right now, though, would be. He's four days away from a stroke. I know. He's like, oh, we can do this, guys. You ready? I know. Let's see. Wait, wait, wait. This guy is Casey James doing Every Rose Has a Storm with Bret Michaels. He did good. I liked it. Love it. Let's see. It gets me. This is Casey. Yeah. Fred hasn't walked out yet. Flip out when he walks out on stage. Uh-huh. Yeah, it stopped.
Brad playing his guitar. I bet it was white. I bet it was. I bet it had roses emblazoned on. Over, under, he had a big man on. Are you kidding me? Of course he did, and the cowboy hat. Such a jam, though. The comeback kid. The comeback kid. Sienna, do you enjoy the song Every Rose Has It's Fun? Yeah, I do, actually. What about you, Lauren? Oh, yeah. I got chills. You did? Mm-hmm. Hold on here. You took your sweater off. You're not cold. You got me. He's getting it, too. Listen. Maybe take a nap, Brett. Yeah. Maybe lie down. Maybe take your meds and grab a nap. He looked good. Great. Guy's got a hole in his head. I know. Guy's got a hole in his heart. He just had a stroke. And he just had a stroke. Yeah. Maybe take some aspirin and just...
Hit the couch, bro. For a couple weeks. And what rock star after a performance isn't all, like, sweaty, you know? Adrenaline. Adrenaline. You can't be good for your heart. There's a whole lot going on. No, he took it real easy. He just walked out calmly. Yeah, but guess what? He's going to be excited when the crowd freaks out. Don't you think his little bunny rabbit's going to start? He's used to that mic. Getting on stage. He's got a hole in his heart. And it can only be filled by you. That's right. That song slays me. Slays me. Dude. Love it. Sienna, am I missing a big moment? I just wanted to hit on the... Dane Cook was awful. Weird. I saw the Bee Gees performance. Bee Gees was good. Bad. It was pretty good. How was that? Alanis Morissette. It was good. Alanis Morissette was pretty good. Yeah, nothing too crazy. Bret Michaels was the biggest thing to me. Christina Aguilera did pretty good. Yeah, because she's one of the greatest singers ever. She's the only relevant one. She dressed... She looked very odd. Weird. Very odd. She was dressed. She's beautiful. But she had, like, a weird hairstyle and was wearing, like, all black tight. Yeah. I think that's... Listen. She's queen farty. Queen. Oh, no, she's not. She sang a scary song. You don't walk in a bathroom after that broad's been in there. Really? Trust me. I've done it. Trust me. You have not done it. I have. You haven't. It's the Ivy in Hollywood. Really? Yeah. Walked in right after her. Don't believe it. It's a unisex bathroom. Not true. Yeah. It isn't. You're making it up.
Don't listen to anything he says. I heard... You did not. I guess I'll wait. I'll hold it. You know what it smells like? It smells like Beautiful by Estee Lauder. No, it doesn't. When he's going there. Beautiful, beautiful. She dropped a rose. So what? We all do it. Smells like somebody dropped a rose. Disgusting. Did you guys know that Apple has officially outdone Microsoft? Really? Yeah, makes sense to me. Just now? Yeah, dude. I mean... Listen, I'm sorry, but their products, they're great. I've had both. People told me to switch to Apple forever. And I was like, no, I'm not going to. And the reason I'm not going to is because I don't want to drive some left-handed British car that I don't get. And everybody was like, you are so dumb. And I finally gave it up, got it. And I went, I was so dumb. Like, why did I not do this? Well, the first week is kind of like. What is this? Yeah, I mean, but for me, it was barely that. Like, I kind of had a couple of things explained to me, maybe, so I sort of got it. Yeah, I had to. Like a four-hour lesson in the Apple store. No, honestly, it was like, it really wasn't that bad for me. I thought it was okay. I remember when I got my first Apple product, I was at Mike's house, and I took it home.
to his house when I was staying there and I opened this little baby up and started playing with it. And I was like, this is the greatest thing I've ever bought in my life. It's awesome. It has a little movie when you open it for the first time. Yeah. It's all pretty. Pictures look really cool. They look brighter for whatever reason. Everything is awesome. I hate going back and forth between PC and Mac. Oh, I'm sure. Me too. So. I have to every day. What's the deal? What did they say? Well, thanks to the launch of the iPad and the new iPhone that's coming out, just last month, let me tell you, Microsoft's market cap exceeded Apple's by about $25 billion. But now Apple is in the lead by nearly $3 billion. This is for the first time. Yesterday, Microsoft fell 4% to close at $25, while Apple lost 0.45%, closing at $244. My goodness. That's a huge lead. My goodness. That's a huge difference. It's a dirt nap, dude. It's a lot. It's a big deal. Times are changing. Times are changing. And Microsoft, I think, wants to go, we don't care what you do. We're Microsoft. We're PC. We don't have to do what you do. Meanwhile, Apple is the slickest, coolest, hottest thing out there.
And their stuff works real easy. I'm going to get an iPad, I think. Oh, what? Why? Because you have one. Are you going to put a little Apple sticker on your car, too? Maybe. Is that going to be your bit? Maybe. In all seriousness, would you prefer iPad? Would you prefer... I want an iPad because I can download books on it real good. Oh, yeah. And it's very light. It's light? Light for my nude laptopping, which I've adopted. Yeah. Gross, gross. And I think it just looks rad. Well, of course it does. It's Apple. Yeah. It's made of what? Solid aluminum. Yeah. And most importantly, it's... It's... It's wireless. There you go. It's wireless. Yeah. So, anyway, that's making headlines today. And then you know what else is, is the... Well, a couple things that we're going to be hitting on today. We're going to be hitting on a big hole in the bottom of the ocean in the Gulf of Mexico that goes like this. And it's been doing that for a month. Horrible. Did you guys see, did you guys see, you know what the Second City is? It's a comedy troupe in Chicago, world famous. They did a bit, a little commercial. I'll show you guys. It shows these people going, I don't understand why, why, what the big deal is, man. Everything is really good. And they all have oil all over their hands and they rub their face. Right. It's so funny. Lovely. Well, we'll be talking about that when we come back. We're going to talk to you about how Facebook.
is having to do, first of all, cover Time Magazine, is Facebook and your privacy and how they basically went, eh, your privacy, whatever. But now they're making some changes because we all found out about it and we started freaking out and running around like chickens with our heads cut off. And so we'll tell you what Facebook says they're doing now. Long night at Petco last night, by the way. 13 innings. I think the Padres came out on the winning side or the losing side. We have audio of the call. Cure, letter to Elise, kids picking the music. You know that. Play that for you next. Part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. More tech. 949mikey at gmail.com. Otherwise, business is shut down. If a restaurant opens up and the food is terrible or the service is terrible or something about the place is terrible, they usually don't last. especially through a tough economy. You saw a lot of different places that couldn't last through the tough economy. Somebody said to me the other day, because I was asking about cars, actually, because I was considering getting a classic car. And I was wondering if there was any places that would take a classic car and they would kind of do the whole deal.
Put the engine, do the paint job, do wheels, do all that stuff. And a friend of mine said, yeah, there actually is places that do that. And they're good because they made it through the economy. The places that did make it through the economy are probably the best places you could take a car like that. And so that's kind of the message with AIS and them lasting through what we just went through. They are good. I know because I have them. I use AIS myself and I saved $1,600 a year by making the switch. You can do the same. I'd like it to be your story as well. And so give them a call. Their number is 1-800-777-4AIS, 1-800-777-4247. Now, back to the Mikey Show. Mikey. I get along better with women than I do with men. Sienna. I always wanted to punch someone in the face. Woods. Do a lot of things I shouldn't do, pal. Lauren. I worked at Comic-Con. And Jay. I don't watch sports. I have nothing to do. If I'm not playing, I don't want to see it.
This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Texarkana. Make Michael Stipe a little bit. R.E.M. R.E.M. Today. R.E.M. Michael Stipe has very particular phrasing. Yeah, he does. When he sings. Welcome back. It's The Mikey Show. You can call us 5701-949. We'd love to hear from you. You can call at any point. And I want to tell you about this, too. Facebook. Remember, we talked about how Facebook was doing some weird stuff with their privacy and... Releasing our information. Yeah, and we don't want that. Yes, to advertising agencies and stuff. So they've done anything about it? Yes, Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg? Yeah. The CEO, he said at a press conference yesterday that they've done a few things to have a little more control over the privacy. One is they have... Excuse me.
They have one control for sharing now, which will be retroactive. There's less directory information to the public, and users will be given a simple way to control how information will be shared with third parties. This is what's supposed to be happening on the social networking site on Facebook. They're going to be posting an announcement about the changes on the top of the user's homepage. So you'll be able to like check on your homepage and see these changes. I'm assuming they should be popping up today if they're not there already. Yeah. Because you made this announcement yesterday and obviously people are freaked out because they want their privacy under control. Yeah, they do. We don't want our stuff being sold to telemarketing. We don't want it being sold to. websites that give out our personal information. Yeah. You know, it's always scary. It's one of those deals where you get emails from spam and you're like, how'd you get my email? You know what I mean? Oh, yeah. We talked yesterday about the bikini girl or maybe those two days ago. If you get a video of a bikini girl on the wall of your page, don't do it because it's going to link to viruses. Also, don't put your entire birthday on your Facebook because somehow people can trace that. Yeah, it's nuts.
So last night, Petco Park, 13-inning battle after a blown save by Heath Bell. Jerry Hairston, Padres second baseman, shortstop, outfielder, utility man. He's hit two home runs all year. One of them was the night before last. Last night comes up in the 13th inning. Cut one, Mike. Hit by a pitch, 0 for 4 tonight. It's this one deep to left center field. That one is tagged. How well is it hit? It is. Walk-off style, dude. Could they be any hotter? Could they be any hotter? I don't know. Knock on wood. They are feeling it right now. They're feeling it. They overcame so many mistakes. They overcame some really good pitching, and they got the W, dude, which is all that counts. Just win, baby. The Padres, they turned a ridiculous double play, one of the greatest I've ever seen. Pitching was outstanding.
I'm making it real right for you, dude. Dude, let me tell you. If I was in the marketing department at the Padres, I would have a new slogan be, your hometown team is back. Yeah, that's huge. Knock on wood. I'm so afraid. That's great. 13th inning. Team cannot lose right now. They're the hottest team in baseball. Yep. Testimony goodbye. There we go. Testimony goodbye. Fantastic. Yeah, it was awesome. Also, the Orlando Magic did some work last night and whipped those nasty Boston Celtics. I guess Paul Pierce won't need his little broom after all since the Celts have lost two straight. What's the record now? It's 3-2. It's 3-2. Celtics are ahead? Celtics were up 3-0. And then Paul Pierce started doing his bit. What's going on? Remember, Mikey, what you said? Yeah, we said pride comes before the fall, and, you know, he shouldn't be running too much mouth and all that stuff. Have the Lakers been running mouth? Because that's what's happening to them, too. Not so much, but it's 3-2 now. Dwight Howard scored 21 points, 10 rebounds, lead the Magic to 113-92 blowout victory. Here's Magic coach Stan Van Gundy on his bunch. Cut to.
I still look at it like we're climbing a huge mountain right here. But we are playing better. But we'll have to go up there and play even harder and even better in game six. There you will. Big one. Tie that thing up in game six and make it right for yourself. I'll watch game seven. I will. I really will. Because when it gets like this. I get excited. Only at the playoffs. My dad's the same way. I got it from my pops. He doesn't watch the NBA except in the finals. Yeah, I don't at all. But I'll probably watch the finals. Will I? San Diego Chargers. San Diego Chargers safety. Kevin Ellison has been told by his coach, Norv Turner. Let's just take it to the house. Don't even bother showing up. What? For the mandatory three-day minicamp. Unbelievable. Didn't want it to be a distraction. This is Vicodin guy? Yeah, this is Vicodin guy. Oh, no. And pretty much assures him that he's not going to have a job next year, at least on the Chargers. Oh. So that, imagine getting that call, man. Hey, Woods, it's Mike. Just don't bother showing up to work today, pal. Yeah. Can you match? I mean, I'd be. And you're thinking to yourself, maybe this thing will blow over. Maybe it's going to be okay. Maybe, you know, maybe not. Maybe not. It seems a little drastic to me.
I mean, look at Roethlisberger. He's running around having a great old time. Well, here's the problem, I think. I think the problem is that the Chargers have been hit with PR nightmares over the last couple of years. Somebody will call immediately and remind me of who the player was. But one of the players that they shipped out of here was getting cough medicine with codeine in it and selling that. Oh, delicious. Yeah, and I don't remember who that player was, but somebody will call and tell us. And so I think the Chargers are just like... No nonsense. I'm not going to put up with this nonsense. Well, finally, UFC 114 is Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It's going to be a good one, man. Rampage is taking on Rashad Evans in a match where the two fighters just don't like each other. They don't like each other at all. If you guys didn't know, they're supposed to fight in December, but Rampage decided he wanted to try his hand at acting. He's playing. B.A. Barakas in the new A-Team, which looks like one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Have you seen a trailer or something? Oh, my God. I want to see it. I haven't seen anything. I'll show it to you at the break. You'll be like, really? I mean, you haven't even seen Dumb and Dumber. There's no way you're seeing it. I mean, he probably shouldn't quit his day job based on what I've seen, but this fight is going to be great. It's going to be a big one. It's going to be a...
You know, a huge, huge draw. They can't stand each other. They hate each other. They're going to beat the crap out of each other. It's going to be great. We had Rampage in the studio. If you've never seen Rampage Jackson. Scary looking dude. Oh, yeah. We had him in the studio. And I was asking him, like, so how'd you get into this fighting business? And he said when he was growing up in Tennessee when he was a kid, he was 14 years old. He used to get paid to go collect on. drug deals that had gone bad, stuff like that. And the guys, these are adult guys. They would pay him to beat up other adults. He was 14 years old. You know, he may have, if memory serves, he may have even been younger. He may have been like 12. Sounds like a wuss. He was shit. He's a big dude. He's always been a big kid, he said. And dude can fight. He can definitely fight. Woods, did we tell I don't think we did. Did we tell the girls about the DVD thing that happened with you and Jamie? Nope. Tell them. DVD thing. Yeah, this is... Brace yourselves. So we have the new house and we've got a... The couple that was there before us left this giant flat screen TV. We're renting it. It's awesome. We're renting the house so they left it there.
And we need a DVD player. We need a new one. Right. So we go yesterday to a certain store that has a lot of electronics. And I don't want to mention any names. But we were walking around and we're perusing some DVD players. And I kind of wanted a Blu-ray. And, you know, she's like, ah, it's a little expensive. I'm like, all right, well, let's just look. Let's look at all of them. So we walk up to one. And I go, ooh, this one looks pretty cool. It's really shiny, you know, and really pretty silver. Yeah, I love the silver. I'm like, oh, this is rad. So I go up, and it's attached to a TV, and there's a blue screen. And I'm like, huh. So like an idiot. I'm just a kid. I'm seven years old. I'm like this. I'm pushing buttons. Well, I hit play. This is crazy. And what came up on the screen, no volume, mind you. No volume. Volume turned all the way down. But what came up on the screen was an adult film. What? An adult film. In the middle of this store? In the middle. Of the store. No. I've rarely got all cap texts. Yeah. From Woodsy. Rarely. Rarely. I mean, I think I've gotten maybe. Couple. Yeah. Two or three in the time I've known them. Gets better. Oh, gross. It was an adult film for guys that like other guys. Oh. And I'll just leave it at that. You can paint your own picture. What did you, did you flip out? I flipped out. How do you turn this thing off? No. I didn't even, I didn't want to touch it.
I didn't want to. I go, oh, my God. Oh, my God. She goes, dear. And I go, I didn't do it. I didn't do it. And I started laughing so uncontrollably. And then so did she. I grab her by the hand, and we run. We don't walk. You left it on? And I left it on. There's probably a small child. I'm probably on camera. Yeah, they're probably going to think you're a creeper. It wasn't you. I know it wasn't me. Prove it. You're going to get a call. Teenager. Some little punk goes, this will be real funny. I'm going to slide this in there real good and see if somebody comes along and hits play and they're going to embarrass themselves. My face was a mixture of white and red. I can't believe you didn't turn it off. I didn't know. I wasn't going to touch it. Again, it was filthy. You didn't tell anyone that worked there? No. If there is anybody listening that... noticed something like this at a store, and maybe they were in the same store, we'd love to hear from you. 5701949. You saw the kid running out like a streak. That's all you saw was just... I was like, what's the roadrunner? That was me. Out of there. Did you text me as soon as you... As soon as we got in the car, and I was laughing so hard I was shaking, and Jamie was like...
Oh, only us. This would only happen to you and I. Oh, my gosh. Thank God for that. So if it had been regular adult film, you'd have stayed in the hospital. Oh, yeah. Kick back for a minute. Yeah. Pulled up a chair. No, you know what I probably would have done? Probably stuck in my pocket and walked out. Mm-hmm. Love it. 570-1949. But yes. I wonder if you put it in, like, multiple DVDs. Oh, I'm sure. That is so wrong. Just little kids just cruising around those stores, Woods. Yeah. You could have ruined a parent's nightlife. I didn't ruin anything for anybody. Yeah, I don't blame you. I blame whoever the little squirt was that put it in there. Squirt. I was immediately thinking it was an employee after office hours chilling. Oh, really? I bet she's a little skateboarder. A little punk. Because little skateboarders all the time have adult. Of course they do. Male, yeah. Dude. At some high school. I bet it was cruising around the high school and it was, oh, I know what to do with that. She could be right, though. Could have been an employee. Who does that? Because what if they got caught? They would be so embarrassed. I don't think it's worth it. But here's how long it takes. Done.
I mean, done. Yeah, but there's cameras everywhere. But you're not stealing it. You're putting something in there. You're actually giving them something. Yeah, but that's worse than stealing. Tell me about it. If you get caught. I used to work at this club, and the boss said, hey, can you dupe some of these? Can you make copies of these? I was like, sure, I'll make some copies of these. And I threw it in. I brought it up. I was like, oh, my gosh. I ran out streaming. Mail on mail? Yeah. Great. By the way, there is no chance in the world that that was anything but a prank. You think? Right? No way. I totally think it was an after-hour employee enjoying the film. Well, the cameras are off maybe then. In this particular venue, probably it's not like a little mom-and-pop place. It's not like something where there's one owner and he's just going to kick back and do his business. But this is a very big place and there's a lot of stuff there. Like Les Lye. Yeah, something like that. And he would... probably wouldn't, they wouldn't be like, all right, Jimmy, you lock up and we'll see you later. You know, he's the last guy to leave. There's gotta be a last guy though. No, there's probably a last crew. And I don't think that there's anybody that's willing to take that chance. Unless they wanted to see it on the big screen. And they didn't have their own big screen at home. Maybe not. Funnily enough, it wasn't even on a...
It was like a 32-inch. What if it was one of the employees' birthdays and they all hung out at the end and did a little joke on him? Happy birthday, dude! I would say, I'd probably bet my house that it was some little punk. Guaranteed. Some little punk was like, I'm going to really embarrass somebody. And guess who he got? He got your boy. Of course he did. 5701949, if anybody has ever experienced something like that. Or... Or if you put it in there. If you've ever done that, yeah. Well, it was quite an evening because after that we went over to eat at the counter and we saw the dude from Blink-182. Yeah. Tom DeLonge. This is kind of cool. Last night? Stared at him for like an hour. Yeah. I was like, I know, I know that guy. Was he with somebody? He was with his wife and kids. Yeah? Yeah. Very nice looking family and just a normal dude eating a burger. Drinking a root beer. They are normal people. Do you think he was going to be made of gold? No, I didn't. All of a sudden, he just went invisible. No, I just, I thought, you know, you see these guys for the last 15 years. No entourage. No, hell no. You had little kids with him, and he's being a dad. He's like, hey, get up here, get up here. You know, it's weird. You know what my memory of Tom DeLonge is? He came in the studio when I was doing the night show back at the old station.
Him and the other dudes were clowns. Yeah, they're clowns. Straight up clowns. And they were totally into, you know, playing grab ass with each other, right? And he was wearing shorts. Tom DeLonge was wearing shorts. And so he thought this would be funny. He did this thing. We were in commercial. And the other guys thought it was hysterical. We're in commercial. And he pushes his chair back. And he pulls his shorts up so that his thighs, inner thighs are exposed. And he was going. And slapping the inside of them? And making them bright beet red. And they were dying laughing. Like they were dying laughing. Yeah. And he was just, he was turning his inner thighs bright red. What did you do? Laughed. We all thought it was hysterical. Why is that funny? I don't know why I thought it was. But we all did. You guys are cavemen. Well, I'll tell you. I went home and I was reminded of something when I saw him. The number one greatest video of all time, without question, is all the small things. Is that where they're running naked? It's where they make fun of all the Backstreet Boys videos, and they're all dressed in white, and then they put those fake teeth in. I was laying on my couch going, ah! It's the greatest video. It is funny. So it was kind of cool to see him. They're from San Diego. Yeah, it was an interesting evening. A little male-on-male pornography, and then Tom DeLonge. You've got the connection.
Well, Woodsy didn't, like, actually watch the male, male pornography. He just was. Didn't he? He just was subject to it. So great. White suits, like, in an airplane hangar, just like back street or whatever. And then one guy has 182 degrees. Oh, my God. Instead of 98. Woodsy, did you consider going up to him? No. Didn't even consider. No, he had his family there. I mean, if he was there by himself, you know, grabbing dinner, I would have said, hey, man, you know, fan, whatever. How are you? I'm on the Mikey show. What's up? I would say get used to it. You're going to see a couple little nuggets around town. I like nuggets. What is that? Nuggets. Get them at McDonald's. Famous people walking around. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Chicken nuggets. For sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a nice place to live. M1 Fat Rat from Oceanside. Are you there, Fat Rat? Yeah, how you doing? Good. Go ahead.
He happened to be at... Was he at Fry's? Was who at Fry's? Oh, was Woodsy? We're not going to say where he was, but Woodsy just made a... We're not going to say. Okay. Why do you ask? At that store, they have a whole adoption for videos and DVDs and stuff. In the store? Yeah, in the store. It was kind of weird. At Fry's? Why would they do that? They have a huge section. Really? It's right there with all the other family videos and everything else. Like adult adult or like Cinemax adult? They wouldn't put it with other family videos. Yeah, they don't put it with Finding Nemo. I'll take it upon myself, you guys, to go and check it out. I'll go with you. Jay and I will go today. If you walk through the DVD section over there, they have some DVDs that are covered by black plastic. They do? And fries?
Do you guys remember? You probably don't. Do you remember? I remember the X-rated section at stores. And I would always like. With the curtain? The curtain. Do you remember that? Yeah, the creepiest. I remember that. It was like a peep show curtain, you know? In Connecticut, we didn't have blockbusters and big things like that. So it was like your mom and pop video stores with the little curtain. Yeah. Saw one of my buddy's dads walking out of the house. You're like, that a boy. Well, he looked at me. Like I had just caught him with his hand in the cookie jar. He's like, oh, hi, Steve. I'm like, how you doing, Mr. Shane? Yeah. That's so cool. Or do I even need to ask how you're doing? What are you up to in there, pal? Yeah. Wife out of town, I guess. Renting Dumbo or what are you doing? Didn't every kid used to like dare their friend to go in there, you know? Just open it real quick and go, oh my God, look at this. I did. One time. Do you guys remember? Those mom and pop video stores. If you just think about it for a second, you can remember exactly what it smelled like when you walked into those little tiny mom and pop places. David Bowie, China Girl. So here's the deal. Not sure if you heard about the story on CNN about the African-American woman turning 105, but CNN accidentally dropped the N-word.
Oh, hey. Wow. Hello. And we will air the apology that they aired. And we'll also explain what it was all about. How can that happen? Next. I feel a wreck without my little child. People are going to like this. The Mikey Show. It's a good time. You know what I mean? Call 570-1949 or text 949mikey at gmail.com. More of The Mikey Show coming up in minutes. On FM 94.9.

More of a rebellious streak in him. Also, for those of you that can't see it, on the screen right now is an angry picture of Luke. And on the screen it says, on phone, Luke, angry baby. That's right. King of the angry babies. Yeah, you are. Why are you so angry, Luke? Do I? I never get to do what I want. I have to share a room with my brother. Okay. Yeah, he's your twin. Somebody's always in my room. He's your twin. Mom, dad, Grammy. Like, give me some peace and frigging quiet. Luke. Okay? Luke, you're not going to have a party. Not too much to ask. You're not going to have a party. You're nine months old. You're not going to have Moby over. You're not going to have a juice keg. You're not going to... So I guess we're going to drink this keg itself. I guess this keg is going to float itself. Yeah. Because it's here. Yeah. And it's on ice. How did you get a keg? Didn't you have to give a credit card or something? I found mom's debit card. Maybe clean yours out a little bit now. Oh, wow. First of all, don't ever call your father pal, all right? Don't ever call your father pal. Okay. All right. And then second of all, take the keg back. Call whoever you got it from and get the keg to be taken back. Sure, I will. Hey, bring me a 20-piece McNugget on your way home. Is that right? Yeah. Bring you a 20-piece McNugget. Those are good. You can stare at it. You can't eat anything solid. You understand that? Extra barbecue this time. You forgot last time, all right?
Maybe I have mom write you a little note so you don't forget. Oh, you're going to make fun of the fact that... Mom will write you a little note so you don't forget my saucy. Right, because mom has to put stuff on sticky notes because I have a hard time remembering. Hey, why don't you tell it like it is, pal. Mom packs your lunch, okay? I make my own lunch. Mom packs yours. You don't make your own. She feeds you, and she feeds you processed, pureed foods because you're only nine months old. You don't eat Chicken McNuggets. First of all, my beeper's blowing up, and I got to run. But 20-piece, extra barbecue sauce. See when you get home. Goodbye. All right, Chief. See you. Goodbye. Don't call me Chief. Don't call me Chief. What a little hellion. Get your hands full there. Yeah, he makes me crazy. Luke makes me absolutely nuts. You know why? Because he's got a little attitude, Lukey. Yeah. He's always got a scowl. There's usually one in the bunch. There's always one. The crew got me a birthday cake, which is really sweet. It's delicious, literally. It's from VG's. It's so good. My birthday is on Monday, and Lauren's not going to be here tomorrow, so you guys did the cake. It's really nice. I feel weird now. Why?
Sugar. Oh, get everybody. Buckle in. Buckle in. She ate the whole piece. It was like inhaling it. Not even I got through mine. Let me tell you, Lauren doesn't have sugar very often, but when she does... Watch out, Jack. Oh, yeah. She's bouncing off the walls. I love it. I love sugar high, Lauren. Hey, our friend Mal, Mal Hall, the comedian, is doing a show tonight. And it's going to be very, very cool. And you can go see him. The headliner is Michael Costa from The Tonight Show. And it's going to be really, really cool. It's the only stand-up comedy show downtown. And it's happening tonight at the bitter end in the gas lamp. Very cool. And it's only $10. Admission's only $10. If you want more information, go to malhall.com. Mal's a good friend of ours, and he's good, man. And go just to see how much he looks like Tiger Woods. He really does. He is Tiger Woods, his little brother. I think he's better looking. He does that stuff in his stand-up. He'll talk about how he looks like Tiger Woods. But anyway, he's a really funny man, and he's going to be doing his show tonight. And I always like to give him a plug for that so that people go down and see him because I've told him a million times he's going to be a star.
He's so funny. No doubt about it. So you want to know why CNN aired something? Well, first of all, before I even go into it, let me just play you the apology that they had to issue. Because when they did this, they had to issue an apology for what they did. CNN? Yeah, CNN. This is Kira Phillips from CNN. Now on the note of music, we aired some music just a few minutes ago. Obviously, for those of you that heard it, it was the wrong music that aired, and we apologize for that. It was a terrible mistake, and we're working very hard to make up for it. What does that mean, we're working very hard to make up for it? They're building a DeLorean. in the newsroom so that they can go back. J. Fox is on his way there right now. Christopher Lloyd's coming in. They're going to get the flux capacitor and make it right. Now, some context here. Some context is that this African-American woman is turning 105 years old, and CNN just wants to do a piece on the fact that she's turning 105 years old. Okay? So here's what happened. His flavor's still driving, still driven at the age of 103.
The video that you're seeing on the screen is this old woman getting into her old car and driving away. Around Coatesville, Pennsylvania. And, you know, when she's coming, no mistaken, her 79 two-tone Couponville. But I think the story here is she's 103, 104 next month. Stories wrapped up. They've now gone back to the studio and you're now seeing. Kira Phillips doing her thing on camera and smiling. And what a wonderful story. But then they decide, let's flash back to the story. Only this time we'll play some music over it. 25 years younger. Miss Flamer, this shout out's for you. I'm not going to play the rest of the song. I'm not going to play the rest of the song. But the rest of the song. They got real gangsta. Got real gangsta real quick. I don't know that song. Is that Coolio? Sounds like Coolio. Is it? Well, it's Coolio. So now I get it. It would have been kind of cute. You know, it would have been kind of cute. And except that unfortunately drops the N word. So they're apologizing because they played the wrong song. They're apologizing because the song that they played says the N word while showing a story about an African-American woman.
I get that. I swear I heard her say that they played the wrong song. And I was going to be like, oh, no, you didn't. You played the song you wanted to. Yeah, I think you didn't play the edits. You didn't edit it. You didn't edit the song. So when she says they're working really hard, it means they're firing whoever didn't edit. We just want to let everyone know that we're firing as hard as we can. Oh, gosh. And as soon as we're done firing really, really hard, we'll be right back. That would be like me getting fired. It's mortifying. be something i would do no it's so easy to do yeah you know what i mean it's one little slip up and it's such a bad one uh m1 ron is on the line what's up ron hey mikey how you doing good uh yes i got a little problem with my buddy's kid what is it my buddy he's been like my my friends in school and everything he has a kid he's six years old and the guy's a tear i mean the kid The kid, yeah. The kid or your friend. I know. No, he, but I mean, my friend's a great guy. I just don't know how to tell him that, just keep your kid away from me. Because the kid is like Dennis the Menace times 30. Oh, jeez. How old is the kid? He's six. It's like first grade. Kindergarten, first grade. And he doesn't listen. And my buddy, my buddy Dan, he doesn't tell his son, don't do that. Or, hey, that's not a good idea. Like the other day.
I had him all over for dinner, and his son, well, he takes my phone and spills juice on it. Oh, no. But, like, pushed the glass over, and he knew my phone was there. And then just weeks ago, like, he sticks crayons in my DVD. Oh, wow. Now, wait a minute. When he spilled the deal on the phone, and you say he knew my phone was there, it sounds like you're insinuating that the little kid. purposefully wanted to ruin your phone, which that sounds like an accident to me. Why are you assuming that it was purposeful? My phone, we're at dinner. My phone was on the table and it wasn't like he moved his arm and accidentally hit his cranberry juice all over my phone. Oh, he poured it. He was pouring. That's brutal. Wait, what did his parents say when he did that?
It was kind of like, oh, isn't that cute? No, they didn't. No. No, they didn't say it was cute, but that was their laugh. And they didn't say, no, don't do that. But there goes my iPhone. Wait, did your phone break? I barely could hear anything out of it, so I'm in the process of getting a new phone. Are they going to replace it? No, I don't have the insurance. No, no, no, but are the parents going to replace it? They didn't offer anything. Oh, no. And they were sitting there watching as this little kid poured juice on your phone. I mean, I guess he's kind of like, I've known Dan so long, he's kind of like my nephew, but I just want a little separation between my so-called nephew and me. As best as you can recollect, what do they say? Do they just go, oh. So when the DVD incident happened,
It was like, oh, sorry, you know, and then we just kind of sat around and that's all he said. And then Dan made a comment like, oh, that's got us. I guess you won't be watching Avatar. Are you kidding me? He's like my buddy, but that's a funny, but there was no like, hey, I'll buy you a new DVD. Do they, I mean, I'm just asking because that's weird to me that they didn't offer. Can they not afford to replace things like that or something? Because I don't, I mean, it doesn't make sense. They're doing all right. It is not weird to me at all. Are you serious? Let me tell you something, man. As weird as it is, I have met so many parents that it's like accidents happen. And you almost get this sense of like if you were at my house with your kid and that happened, I wouldn't say anything because that's life. That's kids. They happen. Things happen. Well, and accidents happen when you don't discipline your kid. It sounds like this kid is just screaming for attention, even if it's negative attention. He would get attention. But if they're not going to reprimand him or anything, he's like, I'm just going to keep pushing the envelope until one day you finally, I want some sort of reaction here. Dude, I'm just tripping out, though, on the phone, man. Like, that's a, I understand that.
Parents probably get into a thing where when their kid does something wrong, they instantly go into nothing's wrong mode. They instantly go into, oh, man, that's kind of, ah, come here. They instantly go into that mode. A phone, man? An iPhone? Yeah, we all need our phones. Lifeline, dude. Every day. I mean, I'm not laughing that off. And, dude, I do think that that's really, really. It's negligent and not cool of a buddy to see his kid spill something on your phone and not say anything about it, not offer to pay for it. Have you ever said anything to your buddy? Like, hey, man, like, you know, this is a lot of control. I mean, I really don't even know how to say it. Yeah. Kind of like, hey, it's so obvious it's there. But now I don't know how to tell the guy, hey, I don't really want your kid around. Well, I think that if you're as close to this guy. your friend as you say you are, and you've been friends for a long time, and this little kid's kind of like your nephew, I think you can go ahead and say something yourself to the little kid next time he acts up. Ooh, that's so sketchy, though, man. No, it's not. Disciplining somebody else's kid. No, you don't, like, spank him or anything like that, but just say, what are you doing? You cannot do that. That is my phone. Are you out of line if you say to one of your friend's kids, no. I don't think out of line. I don't think out of line, but it's a...
It's a slippery slope. I have friends that aren't as firm, I guess, because just for years of doing it, I am super firm with other people's kids now. And they don't seem to mind because they don't seem to be grabbing hold of their kids like I do. And I'll just get like, look, we're about to have big troubles right now. That's how my mom was with my friends, too, if they acted up. I think the kids appreciate it. I've seen parents that... Want you to. Yeah. I've seen parents that want you to be the one to discipline their kids because they don't, they're not good at disciplining their kids. And so I know parents that actually welcome it when you start to get on their kids because they don't know how to do it. And their deal is, their bit is, yeah, I don't know how to discipline them. And I don't know how, well, it starts when they're little. You got to start it when they're little. M1 Drill from La Jolla. Are you there? Yes, sir. Go ahead. Morning, guys. Morning, morning. Hey, I'd just like to give you some advice. My nephew is five years old, and right when you walk in the door, he kind of does a little bit where he punches you in your junk. No way. Who taught him that? Yeah. Oh, his father. Of course. And do you think that kid's bad, man?
nephew has called his mom the C word. Oh my God. See, you know what? Horrendous. Yeah. The creepiest part about that to me, I've said this before. The creepiest part about that to me is that if you're, if you're working hard on, uh, raising good boys and good girls, if you're working hard on that, you can work as hard as you can work. The bottom line is, is that. As hard as you work on your kid, he's got to go to school with that kid that you just talked about. That stinks. What this guy needs to do is pull this kid aside and sternly say to him, I am not putting up with your shenanigans. This kind of behavior is unacceptable when you come over to my house. And that kid will be deathly scared of you and will be the politest kid ever. Ron, are you down doing that? Are you cool doing that? I mean, I guess I'm down doing that, but I don't want this. I don't want the kid then going to his dad saying, Uncle Ryan. Say you do it right in front of him. Say you do it in front of the dad. Right in front of the dad. That's what I would recommend. Because if you did it when he's not there, then he would question you. Hey, Drill from La Jolla. M1 Drill from La Jolla. Are you still there? Yes, sir. Now, in all honesty, do you know if it's this kid's dad? Oh, yeah. Absolutely his dad. Like his dad teaches him to punch in the junk because it's funny?
Pretty much. I mean, he farts and just those stupid stuff. My sister's actually just getting divorced with him right now, if we speak. But, I mean, there's no discipline whatsoever, and it just sounds like it's the same deal with this guy's friend's kid. I mean, there has to be discipline, and there has to be someone that tells his kid, no, this kind of behavior is unacceptable. Yeah. Do not do this. Yeah, you're always going to, listen, man, you're always going to have knuckleheads in the world. And if there's a knucklehead that teaches a kid that doing stuff like that is funny, you're probably not going to convince that dude that it's not funny. That dude is going to be like, no, that's funny, and that's the bottom line. Yeah, but I think that you could also make him a little bit more aware that you can do your funny shenanigans in your house, but don't think you can go in other houses and do the same thing. Yeah, you can try that. There's no doubt about it. You can. I would. M1 Tree Wizard, you there? Yep. Go ahead. Just piggybacking off of everyone else, too. I mean, you know, I've got three kids, six years old. Kid definitely knows exactly what he's doing. That is no accident. And, yeah, that dad needs to get his act together, man, because a lot of times kids who act out, it's not the moms.
The moms are nurturing. It's the dads, man. The dads need to step it up and make sure that discipline's happening. Especially with their little boys. It's real easy for dads to just be like the jokester with their boys and teach them to be just like dad, you know? We're buddies. We're friends. Give them the belt. Thank you, Tree Wizard. You can be friends, but you also have to be firm. Yeah, I had the belt when I was growing up. I'm going to give my kids a belt. You are? Or at least the thread of the belt. Yeah. The belt is... All right, here we go. Woodsy, even seeing you do that right now, instantly I remember my dad with the belt bit. When my dad reached for that belt buckle on his loop, it was bad news. This bad stuff is coming, dude. This bad news. And, you know, Jake is so cute, man. Jake is doing this thing right now where I'll explain something to him and I'll tell him something. And, hey, Ron, I appreciate the phone call, by the way. Thank you for calling. No problem. Thank you. Good luck. Jake is doing this thing where I'll explain to him whatever it is I'm explaining to him. And I'll go, do you understand? And he would do this thing where he'd get the bottom lip puffed out and he'd go, yes. Well, now he's doing this thing where he goes, no, daddy, I do not understand. I do not understand. Oh, no. And so that one threw me for a loop. He did that and I went.
Now what do I do? What's an example of what you're telling him to understand? If he did something bad. I'll give you a perfect example. This is an actual example. We were driving back home from church, and Jake wants to be a part of everything, which is fine. You know, it's fine. But sometimes adults are going to talk. Mommy and Daddy are going to talk. And so Rebecca and I are trying to talk, and he's going, Mommy, Mommy, Mommy. And you can tell Rebecca's getting wound up. And she goes, Mommy and Daddy are talking right now, son, so you have to be patient. Patient for a couple of seconds. Mommy, Mommy. And so I've heard this go on for a while. So Dad steps in. I could hear it. Yeah. So Dad, when we get to the red light, turns around, looks at him and goes, Bub, enough. No more. You are not going to talk when Mommy and Daddy are talking. Do you understand? No, daddy, I do not understand. I do not understand. And then he'll do the thing where he'll further explain himself. He'll go, I do not understand. You said I cannot talk. I do not understand. And I thought about it and I thought, I bet he really doesn't understand. Why is it that?
You guys can talk and I can't. I don't understand that. Yeah. And so I thought logical question. I thought that's I thought that's pretty good. So I said so I said to him, OK, Bubba, I'm going to explain to you so that you understand. I want you to understand because I love you. I want you to understand. The reason that you can't talk when mommy and daddy are talking is because it's called interrupting. It means that we can't have our conversation if you're jumping in and interrupting. Do you understand? No, daddy. I do not understand. I don't understand. And now I'm thinking to myself, okay, he's a smart little dude. And I'm thinking, is he working the system? Is he working the system? Yesterday, we play this game that he loves, okay? He calls it funnel. We have a, he calls it funnel. We got a funnel and we got a little plastic cup and we got a watering can. And Jake likes to pour it into the cup, back into the watering can. And we, you know, we have a great time with it. Sounds like a party. Yeah. And so daddy learned pretty early. We got to ask how many times we're going to do this. Because if I don't ask how many times we're going to be there till, basically till he's graduating from college. Tell me about it.
Yeah, when he does it, dude. Tell me about it. You know now with the football, when he wants to do the football with you, ask him how many times and agree upon a time and know from the outset he's going to negotiate. He can negotiate. Oh, yeah. It's the funniest thing. So we decide on 10. Now, this was a real conundrum for me yesterday. We decide on 10 times. And he wants to count zero. Oh, my gosh. Smart. And I look in those little brown eyes and I'm like. How do I say zero doesn't count? How do I do it? He knows. You can't. He knows he was going to get an extra one by saying zero. Did you fold? People are going to think I'm the worst parent. I folded. Did you fold? No, you're not. I would say, bub, okay, zero is going to be your bonus one because you're being such a good boy and we agreed on a number. So I'm going to give you one more. You get a freebie. We're going to count zero. From now on, we start at one. That's the bonus. Yeah, but today we'll go ahead and you win. Yeah. Daddy K. Next time we're going to start at one. And he's doing the deal, too, where Daddy can't remember what Daddy said two seconds ago. Weird. Exactly. And so I'll lose count. And I'll go, what number is this? And I'm fairly certain it's eight. And he knows. Yeah. Trust me. Of course he knows. He knows. And he goes, I think it's eight. So cute.
And I'm like, is it eight? I think it's seven. Six. Is that right? Foo Fighters, Another Round is the name of the song. It's a great tune. What's he picking the music today? Hey, have you seen the video of the two-year-old blasting six? It was everywhere yesterday. If you haven't seen it, you will see it today because it is viral. Two-year-old kid. Blast and Sigs. Surf-wise today, looking pretty weak and bleak, somewhat in that ankle-to-knee waist-high zone on average, maybe a plus on top of that. Fair to clean right now, cloudy skies, some light offshore winds to calm winds, so surface conditions are clean.
Tide's awful low, though, and it's awful weak. Some little pop-up beach break peaks. More apt to be ridden on a longboard or maybe a wide-bodied fish or McKellum roundboard or something. But other than that, again, pretty small across the board. As the day continues, we expect the westerly winds to fill back in. That could create a little bit of a surface bump. Right now it's clean. As the tide fills in, that might help the size and shape of the surface a bit, too. But across the board, pretty small today. Here's more of the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Woodsy, I think you've used this one before, and I love this song, man. Like, learned it from you. Yep. Eddie Vedder. Edward. Hard son. Into the wild. Into the wild. Yeah. Welcome back. So, okay, so let's talk about this two-year-old smoking cigs. Because I think it's fake. I do, too. I'm with you. I don't. 40 cigarettes. 40 a day. That's twice as much as a kid smokes. Where's the kid from? Indonesia. He's a chubby little two-year-old kid from Indonesia.
And Sienna sent me the video yesterday and I watched it. And he's holding the cigarette between his thumb and his index finger. And he's kind of twirling the cigarette and he's smoking it and blowing the smoke out. And I saw it and I thought, that looks fake. He's doing bits with the cigarette at one point. It looks like he's twirling around his hand. I'm like, I'm 34. I've been smoking since I was 16. I can't do what he's doing. He's two. I'll give you that because you do smoke. But he's like a little chain smoker. When I watched it, it was like one after the other. Puff, puff, puff, blow, puff, puff. You know, like crazy. Yeah. This little kid is two. His name is Artie. And his parents, I've found, I've, you know, researched it. Because now this year, I think Artie was the most popular name in Indonesia. Absolutely. Artie Rizal. It's just nuts. Even it says that local officials offered to buy his family a new car if they help the boy quit. But they said they can't because he throws massive tantrums if they don't give him the cigarettes. Yeah. The mom's name is Diana. She's 26. And this is a quote from her as she's crying. This is why I'm like, how can this be fake? She says she's weeping. He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and bats his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick. You don't think they made the quote up?
You don't think two dudes in an apartment in Akron that were blasting marijuana cigarettes were like, let's throw a viral fake bit out? I know, but I don't, it's just, how do you fake that? Look at him. He's obviously a two-year-old smoking cigs. He's doing bits with it. Yeah. You know what it reminds me of? You know what the video reminds me of? What? The... How do you fake that? Yeah, you know how you fake it? You fake it in the same way that the E-Trade commercials fake it.
Hey, Shankopotamus, maybe next time you don't... Why do that? Why are they even filming you? Maybe I'm the most gullible person in the world. I tell you, I think they do it because they think it's funny. His dad, who is 30, his name is Muhammad, he said he looks pretty healthy to me. Really? So Muhammad had a baby boy and decided to name the baby boy Arnie? Arnie. Arnie? Muhammad's the most popular name in the world. Did you guys ever see the videos of, like, they did these viral videos years ago that looked... So real. It was all sports stuff where LeBron does like a hook shot from 600 feet away. Michael Vick throws the football 800 yards or whatever. The one I remember, the one that I remember was ESPN did it for the NFL season right before it started. No, no, no. I know what they did it for. They did it for the NFL draft. And the point of the commercials was, hey, listen, anybody can be a star during the draft. You never know. Doesn't matter where you're picked. And they had. Neil Rackers, the kicker from the Cardinals. He goes, I'm Neil Rackers. I was taken in the fifth round. And here's what I do. And he turns around and he kicks a field goal from like 100 yards away. And you watch it. And it's one of the most incredible things that you've ever seen. And you realize, oh, they're screwing me. Michael Vick drops back and throws an 80-yard spiral on the fly. And you're like.
Really? LeBron sinking shots from behind the backboard over his head. I mean, it's just all, I think it's all computer generated. What about the one of Kobe when he like laces up his shoes and he jumps on top of the car as it's speeding towards him? Remember that one? Yeah, those were rad. I mean, they're the coolest thing. They're the coolest thing to look at, but they're all computer generated. Now, I don't know. Maybe this two-year-old blast in the cigs is real, but I want to know what people think of it. M1 Tree Wizard, are you there? Yeah. Hey, welcome back. So here's the thing that trips me out about that thing. One, if it's not legit, why would someone make that? That's stupid. That's what I'm saying. Because I think they think it's funny. They think it's funny. They're fine. Who thinks that's funny? High people. I'll tell you what the funny part is when we believe it. The funny part is when we believe it and it becomes a worldwide story. People are laughing at me right now. Not you. Everybody. Everybody. Everybody. Now, I don't know. I mean, listen, I don't know if it's fake. I don't know. All I know is that I questioned it. When I saw it, I was like, really? The bit that got me was when he put it in his mouth and he goes, it looks like he's a fish. Like his mouth goes. Right. Yeah. Really, dude? And he's doing the puff. He's not like a professional. He looks pretty professional to me. That was the thing. He looked a little too professional. I don't know, though. If it's real, that kid's going to die young. Yeah. And he's a chubby little guy. And he's spending a lot of money on cigs, you know?
40 a day. 40 cigarettes a day is two packs a day. Yeah. That's disgusting. It's parents' day. Where do you think he's getting those cigarettes? From them. And who likes them? I mean, every two-year-old throws tantrums. If that's a real story. Do you believe it, Lauren? No. I don't believe it. Well, they buy one brand of cigarettes, and his habit costs his parents, I don't know how to pronounce this dollar sign, but it's 3.78, whatever that is. Pounce. That's a pounce. That's a pounce? Yep. In Indonesia? Yeah. British control. Indonesia. This is a clip of Lauren O'Brien laughing. Is it? The water. There's another clip of Lauren O'Brien laughing. They're cut off. If you've ever heard Lauren laugh. The water. Do it again. Where is it? The water.
You had one that was really good. We edited one that was really perfect. I don't know what happened. The water. It was that one. It was that one. Yeah. Let's do a Lauren Laugh-like contest. 100%. 5701949. Why do I? Nothing. If you've listened to the show. It's hysterical. If you've listened to the show and you know it, you know that laugh, call us. 5701949. Jamie, if you're listening, which I think you are, I'm going to need you to go ahead and call in. And I'm going to need you to do your Lauren bit that you do on the couch every night. Oh, my gosh. It's like the one. The water. It's so embarrassing. It's not. It's hysterical. It's the best. It's the best laugh. It kills me. The water. This is a bit now. So we should all go around and each do our own. Yeah. Go, Jay. It's like a ninja, Lauren. The water.
Stop it. 570-1949. Whoever does the best Lauren imitation gets what, Jay? What can we give away? They get their choice. They can either have Silver Sun pickups or a pair of tickets to see Muse. Pretty good prize for calling in to sound like an idiot. The water. I don't have to talk over everything. You're not talking. I'm laughing over what you're saying. I'm going to make Jamie call it a mic because it's so good. The water. Stop it. Lauren, try to do a real one right now. Save that. Save that. I've got Jamie on the phone. Come on, Jamie. This is Woodsy's wife, Jamie. Hi, Jamie. Hi, guys. Hi, Pumpkin. How you doing? Good. Can you do the laugh?
On the spot. Yep. So it. So it. Do you guys really do this every night? Every single night. You guys. I want to hear it again. I want to hear it again. Do it again, Jamie. Dude, that's perfect. It's perfect. The water. That's the best. Jamie, that's great. Very well done. Thank you. Love you. Thank you for the call. Bye. I love you. I love you. Little angel. M1 Grace from IB. Let's hear yours. I'm going to try to do both. Okay. That was the first one. And then the second one that you guys played again. Yeah, I'll play the second one. All right, here we go. Ready? Perfect. It's perfect. Keep her on hold. Perfect. We have to like have it. Yeah, we're going to put you on hold. Wow. Put you on hold in case you win. Hang on. I feel weird inside. Why? Grace was good. Scratch. Silver Sun pickup tickets or.
Muse. Muse. Detroit. M1 Victor from Mira Mesa. Let's hear it. There you go. It sounded like he coughed up a hairball. I know. Water. That was good. That was pretty good. Hang on the line. Sounded like Morgan Freeman's cat yesterday. That hairball. M1 ding ding. That was like a sneeze. I love the warm up bit. Bumblebee, bumblebee. All right, hang on. I love it. I love it, too. Sound good. M1 Yuli from Lucadia. Hey, how's it going, you guys? Good. Okay, here I go. Here's Lauren. That was a give up. I'm trying to do Tom Tom. Hi. Oh, I can't do Tom Tom. You're too good with that, Lauren. Oh, my God. Hang on.
Maybe Lauren's mom, Mrs. O'Brien, could call in. Maybe not. Maybe. Maybe I'm on the phone. M1 Crazy Girl from San Diego. Wait, I need to hear hers again. It came on too quick. Do it again. Wow. That's good. That's pretty good. That's great. Hang on the line. I say it's between Crazy Girl and Grace. I kind of like Grace. Jamie can't win. Jamie can't win. Why? Because she's married to an employee. Yeah. That's pretty weak. You can't do it. Oh, get with that. Get in trouble. M1 Beach Break from Encinitas. Are you there? Nope. Yep, let's hear it. Let's hear it. Are you ready? One, two, three. I love hearing dudes trying to... I know it. Oh, my God. It's so embarrassing. Hang on the line. I have a clear-cut winner. You do? I do in my mind. I do, too. I kind of do, too. Can we write it down? Yeah, write yours down. Write it down. I don't know the names, though. Put what number of caller they were. Okay. Really? He won't know that one either. That's the first caller. That's the one I had. First caller. Grace. Grace. I definitely have Grace. Grace. M1 Grace from IB. Let me hear it again. But she did both of them. Do the next one. I need to hear the second one. I'll play it. So well done. Nice.
Nice job, Grace. Congratulations. You're going to see Muse. That was very graceful. Hang on, Grace. I love to hit this. That's great. That's great. Hang on the line. Oh, that's awesome. Oh, that is funny. That was great. Was it? Made my day. Yes. Speaking of making your day. Yeah. Now it's time for a Mikey Show haiku. Where is her nickname? She used to be called Pepper. Wait. Now it's time for a Mikey Show haiku. Jugs, cans, breasts, fun bags, bazoongas and chesticles, knockers and hooters. I'm so sorry, Dad. Five syllables, seven syllables, five syllables. Chesticles. Chesticles. Bazoongas. Fun bags. That 10 seconds probably took Woods nine hours to write. Oh, my gosh. Surprisingly, no. No, he's like, I got it. Hooters, cans, jugs. Yeah. It's pretty much one of three things he thinks about. Yeah. Fair enough. It was perfect. I still like the last one when it said, jugs, jugs, jugs, jugs, jugs. That was great. Her baby will be fed. Her child will be fed. It's fantastic. Wow. I like the cubby room there, too. Little cubby bear.
Oh, poor Gabby. Hey, can I, let's see. We got to go to break. Weird. We got to go to break. I'm not sure how to approach the following subject matter. In fact, if I were you, I wouldn't tune out. If I were you, I wouldn't tune out because when we go into commercial break, I'm going to ask someone here on the show, either Woods, Jay, Lauren, or Sienna, about, how they would like me to handle this subject matter. When we come back, we'll discuss it. Talk about it.

Love the Mikey Show haikus. Before we went to break, I said that we were going to be talking about something that you wouldn't want to tune out for. And I'm going to let Lauren tell everybody about what's going on in her life. Okay. Awkward. Well, I was getting a few listeners emailing me and asking me, saying, oh, you haven't talked about Matt in a while. My boyfriend that I was talking about.
I guess, first two months that I was on the air. And that was harder than I thought to talk about. This is one of the hardest things about this job is, you know, people want to know because we talk about our lives and you don't, you know, to expect, you know, to have to share it with thousands of people. Yeah. And I think the reason that she wanted to was because of. Because I didn't want to do this. She didn't want to do this. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't want to get upset. on the air too late um but yeah basically what happened uh i don't know i guess maybe a month ago now uh we i guess over a month ago i had to make the decision about moving into a new place uh our lease was up and just came to light that um you know if we're gonna live together again it's kind of what you know we should have i should have thought about this before i lived with them in the first place but What does that mean? Where are you headed? What's going on in your relationship? Anyway, it came to light that he's not where I am. I don't want to say too much about what happened because obviously he's not here to defend himself and I don't want to put too much of our private discussion out there. I'm not ready to go marching down the aisle.
you know, giving out ultimatums or anything, but I want to know that the person that I'm going to be with, I'm 29 years old, A, wants to get married, believes in that between two people, and B, definitely knows at this point that they want to marry me. And he just wasn't sure. So I just couldn't live with that even small amount of doubt. So first step was not living together anymore, obviously. And then the next step was, you know, unfortunately, it's not always the easiest thing, but sometimes the best thing is to let somebody go, let somebody out of your life. So, yeah, so as it stands now, we are not together. We're not talking. It's sad. It's really hard. And how long were you guys together? We were together for, I don't even know exactly, two and a half, maybe three years, somewhere in that ballpark. When Lauren and I talked about it, when this was first going on, I said, do you want to talk about it on the air? She said, not right now. And I said, okay. And she said, I just don't want to get upset. Yeah. And so we kind of talked about, well, let's let time go by.
And then you can talk about it. That's a super, super brave girl sitting on my left. Super brave. Big, big, big love to L.O.B. today. Absolutely. Love L.O.B. That's the hardest thing in the world to talk about. She's making me cry. I know, man. Kid teared up real good. Weird. And just even brave in the sense that, you know, you stood up for what you wanted as hard as it is, because that's the hardest thing to do, especially if you live together. I mean, that's. You know, separating things and, you know, and that's the hardest thing. You know, and there's a lot of people, Lauren, that aren't going to take that step. They're going to be like, fine. You know what I mean? Fine. I'll just deal with it. Maybe he'll come around. Good for you. Good for you that, like, you know what you want and, you know. It says a lot, too, about what she knows about her. Yeah. You know, so many times there will be girls that will stay in that situation. And that's. a lot easier to do. Now, I know that there may be people go, no, no, that's hard. No, it's actually harder to do what Lauren's doing. Well, it seems, you know, it'll be better for me in the long run, but it was really easy to be in what we were in for a little bit of time, which was that gray area where, okay, we're broken up and, you know, you've moved out, but let's still date and let's still, you know, hang on to this and let's see.
you know, kind of let's figure it out. Well, you can't do that. You can't live your everyday life and have this big pink elephant in the room and writing on the wall. So, you know, I felt victim to it for a week or two of that, you know, letting the gray area exist until I finally just was like, I can't do this. Just huge balls. Like just so convicted and like I'm just such a Sally. When it comes to that. In general, if there's going to be one that does that, it's going to be the girl. The guy is not usually the one that has the rocks to be able to go, we're not doing this anymore. Sienna did it. Yeah, no. Todd and I took a very long break because I was the same thing. He had been married before, had a kid before, didn't want to do it again. And I was like, okay, later, because I do. You know, you chose someone who's a nanny and whose mom's a wedding planner. Bad call on your side. And, you know, luckily in my case, it ended up working out and he realized some things when we were apart. But sometimes, you know, that's what it takes. You have to.
You have to just take what you think and know that this is your life. Why can't I live my life the way I want to live my life? Why can't I have the dreams that I've always wanted? And everyone deserves to have it. And you're just going to go through a little pain for a little bit. But hopefully with every door that closes, somewhere opens a window. Rebecca, when we were dating, Rebecca went through whatever she thought was a long enough period. And she finally got to this point. I was parked in my car, sitting in my car. in front of a Verizon wireless store. I was sitting in the car having a conversation with her. And I remember her saying, you know, this has been a while. We've been dating for a long time. And I don't know where you are with this, but I haven't, you know, I haven't really seen you getting serious. Our relationship progressing any further than it has. And I remember being so irritated and mad. And I was so, because you hear me say, Anger is hurt, sadness and fear. And I was fearful. I was really afraid because she was putting me on the spot. And so she broke up. We broke up. And I remember having a very immature attitude like, fine, go ahead. I mean, if that's how you think that this is going to happen, you know, that was my attitude. And that didn't last very long because all I had to do was consider what it was going to be like.
She was full on in her right and did the right thing. She did the right thing. In fact, as irritated as I was, I had so much respect for it. And I have so much respect for what Lauren is doing. Now, here's the good news. The good news is, is because you were strong enough to do it, any way it works out is good news. Yeah. Because you were strong enough to do it. See, if you're not strong enough to do it, you cannot say that. If you're not strong enough to do what Lauren did, you cannot say the following sentence. Any way it works out is good. You can't say that. Because if you stay in the relationship, well, what could happen is you stay in this relationship unfulfilled, not married, feeling like you're missing out on a gigantic part of your life and being resentful, being hurt, being upset. Being, you know, just underappreciated. and not matching up value-wise. It's easy to just love someone's character and say, well, maybe I don't want that and start to question what you really want and what you need and start to lose sight of it. Now, the good thing is now no matter what, it's good. No matter what, it's good. It's good. It's hard. It's sad. You don't just lose a partner and you lose a best friend.
And that's the deal too with the gray area. The reason that I think that the gray area happens, and this is speaking from my own personal experience, and I think people will be able to relate to it. At least for me, it's like an addiction. It is. It's like an addiction. And when you break up with somebody, it takes away your thing and you need it. You need it because it's a part of your day. It's like your comfort. It's your comfort. It's a part of your day. It's what makes everything normal. Well, I talked to Lauren about it the other day on the phone, and I told her, I said, I can relate a little bit as to what it's like to go home after the show and not have my sounding board there, you know, until Jamie moved here. Remember the dark day? They felt dark to me when I would go home to my little apartment with nothing but a bed and a TV, and it was just dark. It was dark. I slept all day. I didn't do anything. We didn't hang out. None of us. We'd go to our lunch, but I wouldn't come hang out with you. We wouldn't go surf. It was dark. I didn't have that sounding board at home. And so I told her, I said, man, we're right down the street. You come hang with the kid and the wife anytime. But that's the hard part is not having that sounding board when you go home to be like, hey, did you listen today? What did you think? Did you hear my Susanna? How was it? And so, I mean, my heart is full of pride.
You know, love for L.O.B., for sure. Thanks. Well, there it is. We weren't going to talk about it for a while. Stop the speculation. Yeah, I just wanted to. There was a couple people that asked me, and I was kind of skirting around the issue and just was like, do I really even need to talk about it? But I guess I figured I might as well be just completely blatant and out there with it. The last thing I am is big brotherly, but can I pull a big brotherly move? Sure. You're pretty big brotherly. You're pretty big brotherly. You're pretty big brotherly. I just want to put out a blanket statement. Just stay back a little while, fellas. Please. Can we? Just kick back a little. Because I'm like, dude. So I know that it's going to take two seconds for the, hey, listen, I know where you're at. I know where you're at. I'm already getting the text messages already. Shut up. So it's good to go? Of course. Of course. No, I'm not exactly ready to be involved. Hey, listen.
I know what it's like, LLB. If you ever need to talk. Hey, you creepers out there, I'll tell you right now. Toppers of the world. The toppers of the world. They want to sniff around my girl over here. Yeah. You're going to have the kid to deal with. Yeah. All of us. Mikey's going to talk to you. I ain't going to talk to you. He's going to slit your throat. Yeah, he's going to slit your throat. Real sweetly. Slit your throat. Play around in your blood for a little while. Okay? I'm going to wear your skin. Yeah. Don't mess with my girl. Woodsy's going to do a cannonball into your blood. 100%. Don't mess around with her. This is not like a sly attempt to get a date, I swear. Hey, and by the way, let me tell you, don't think that Woodsy and I aren't going to be monitoring what you creeps are up to. 1,000%. Don't think we're not going to monitor it. You don't mess with either of my girls here, dude, because you'll get slayed. Right. And not in the good way slayed. Yeah. The bad way. Hey, listen, L.O.B. I got this book. I'd like to hand deliver it to you. I have this book. And I'd like to, you know. I'd like to bring it to you in the news. If that is a little weird, I don't know. That's kind of what we did in my family. L.O.B., I bought you a gift certificate to Nordstrom. Nice.
You know, I'd like to take you shopping. See, that I might take that. She may be down with that. Yeah, she's all right with that. These guys just now reached for their cell phone to call Nordstrom to give them their credit card number. Creeps. Creeps. God, men are the... Men are creeps. Not only are we the dumbest mofos around, we're the creepiest dudes. I mean, we're the creepiest people. Well, I'll tell you why. Because I know that there were guys that heard that right now that were genuinely touched by it. Absolutely. And the same guy that was genuinely touched is like, I am going to get that girl. Yeah. I'm going to meet her, and she's going to be my wife. There's guys. I'm telling you. You go through Cubby first, and then you've got to get through me, and then you've got to get through Jay. No, you guys. Maybe there's a really nice guy out there. Zero percent. Yeah. Maybe he waits five minutes. In 2014. He can wait five minutes. Maybe he waits five minutes. He can wait five minutes. Because they're not. I know they're already on the text. Some guy is deleting Facebook posts right now that he just wrote. He's like, I'm an idiot. Lauren's a big girl. She can handle herself. I can handle myself. Can you? You guys know the wall is up. She's good. Oh, man. No, she's got a good wall. It's just me and Woods can't stand it. You want that on you, dude? He's pointing at his gun. You want that at you? Pointing the gun. Do you want that coming at you? You don't. I don't think you do. You don't. Yeah. Well, there it is. A feast on you, dude. C'est la vie. Good job, Lauren. Thank you. Very proud of you. That was kind of embarrassing. I cried on the air.
I've done it before, too. I've done it. I have, too. Did you do it? Yeah, I teared up one day in here. Yeah, but you weren't, like, real sobbing like a little girl. Oh, I will. Just wait. Yeah, no, I will plenty more times. I teared up just big time right there. We do. Crystal, look at me crying. Sienna's a crier. Oh, yeah. Right? Oh, yeah. And when I cry, it's like... I was afraid of that. Me too. No, I can't... Words don't come out. Like, it's bad. Dude, are you a crier? I'm a crier. Yeah. You know what it is? It usually... I'll tell you my deal. And my brother will tell you the same thing. My mom cries at Hallmark commercials. I mean, she'll cry at anything. Sarah McLachlan, one of the animals. Dude, every time I see that, I cry. That's nothing new. But... If you have a parent that does that, you probably don't like it if you're a guy. Because it really irritates my brother. It'll irritate you. It's just at everything. When your mom cries at everything, you'll be like, Mom. Mom. But then you turn into the same deal. You know what I've done? What? You know what I do? I do the mad cry a lot.
You do? Oh, yeah. Me too. I do the mad cry, like... You're so mad you cry? I've had bosses before. Yeah. They piss me off so bad that, like, I'll go to my office and be like... Really? That's so crazy to admit that. Because I'm, like, a huge... You guys wouldn't know. I'm a huge crier. Like, I cry all the time, but I... learned in the corporate world that like i would do the mad cry or the frustrated cry and i was like they're gonna they're gonna be like we shouldn't have hired a woman so i was like yeah i've been training myself for the past like five years or so to be like nope some people if they know that they cry really easy will do the thing where they're practically like holding on. They're like, I'm not going to cry. I've worked so hard. I've worked so hard before to like make sure that my team hit their numbers and like I hit my numbers and then like the other teams didn't and we all got filleted and I would be like, dude.
I've been here 15 freaking hours today. I made 300 phone calls. What do you want from me, man? What can I do? I used to cry over math problems. I'd get so frustrated. I'd be like, oh, I can't do it. That's awesome. Big time mad crier. Remember the show Make Me Laugh? Nope. You don't remember Make Me Laugh? You don't remember Make Me Laugh? It's a pretty good game show where they would just, that's all they had to do. There was a panel. There was a panel, yes. Barefoot Contessa. There was a panel and, you know, you sat there at the game show. There was two contestants per week. You sat there and comedians would come up and they would try to make you laugh. And if you didn't laugh, you won thousands of dollars. They should do make me cry. And what you do is you sit there in front of a screen and they'll, you know, different things will come up. And if you can make it through it. You know, you've got to be a guy like Dexter where you've got no feelings or whatever. You know, but they put the Sarah McLaughlin song on. You've got the headphones on. You're like, I won't do it. I won't do it. I would be done. You know, Run DMC, the guy, DMC. He came in the studio one time and he had met Sarah McLaughlin. And McLaughlin. Do I always say McLaughlin? It's McLaughlin. Sarah McLaughlin. Sarah McLaughlin. Yeah.
Stole? Is it stole or stole? Stole. Stole, Mike. Isn't that something you put around your neck? Yes. Same thing? Same thing. Well, anyway, Sarah McLaughlin. No! McLaughlin! Right. DMC from Run DMC comes in. He's talking to us, and he says that he had come to this low point in his life, and... The money didn't mean anything to him anymore. The fame didn't mean anything. Nothing had any meaning in his life anymore. He decided he was going to take his own life. And he remembers the exact moment. He was in a limousine, and all he was going to do was wait until he got home. And the limousine driver turned the radio on, and on the radio was Sarah McLaughlin's song. He'd never heard it before. Angel, right? He hears the song, and he said, it absolutely... Inside changed everything. He said the voice, the words, every single part about it changed him. And then he met her. He told her how he felt about the song and how much it meant to him. And she said, come over to the house. Let's record a song together. Went over to the house. They recorded a little bit together. And he said that song changed his life. Saved his life. Saved his life.
And he didn't do what he was going to do because of the song. Yeah. That's an amazing story. Wow, that is amazing. Yeah. So are you trying to kill me, dude, right now? What are you trying to do to me? He's trying to save you. Yeah, I'm trying to save you and just get a tear going on you. That's a weird song for a rap star to be listening to. Like, hey, I think I'm going to turn some music on for you. He asked the limo driver, can you turn the radio on? And the limo driver goes, yeah, what do you want to hear? And he goes, I don't care, just turn the radio on. Give me some beats. Wow. And the guy turned the radio on. Give me some beats. Was he not like one of the best interviews you've ever had? It was. He is. You know who else is? Pulse. Steve Pulse. Steve Pulse is one of the top interviews that I've ever had. And by far and away, DMC from Rome DMC was one of the most honest, unbelievable. Tells you exactly how he feels. Absolutely. I mean, that guy, that was a stunning interview. Stunning interview. I'd love to have him back on. He's just so genuine and will hug you and just so says your name when he meets you. Just the coolest, coolest guy. Yeah. But his honesty and his really, really, as a dude, having no problems telling you the depths of where he had been and what he had been through was incredible. Just incredible to hear. Now we're making more people cry. I know, right? So Lee won American Idol last night. Yeah.
Such a good song. Jugs. Jugs. Chesticles. Fine. Detroit. Now it's time for a Mikey Show haiku. Jugs, cans, breasts, fun bags, bazoongas, and chesticles, knockers, and hooters. What is he? Is there a question mark at him? Maybe somebody that wrote the haiku put a question mark at the end of it. Allegedly. In fact, somebody wrote in and said that their question mark was their favorite part of it. Yeah, I love it. Really? Play yours again, Mike. I like yours. Let me see. Now it's time for a Mikey Show haiku. Little Cubby Bear was once called Michael Shannon. He peed in his pants. Mike, you're such a little cubby bear. Like, you really are. I just want to hug you. M1 what? What is his name? M1 what? Hello? Really? Hello. Hi. What is your M1 name? Placenta encapsulation. Okay. That's a little... I don't know why I had a hard time reading that. Yeah, why did you? She's on the 5 South right now. What were you calling to say? I'm calling to say that if you're on the verge of crying, tearing up, if you swallow...
It is physically impossible for you to shed a tear. Really? Yeah, right. I swallow a lot when I cry anyway because I'm like... Try it. It works. I've tried it. All right. It's like the hiccup thing. People guarantee that they have different ways. And if it's worked one time on somebody... I got it. I told you. The water through the paper towel? No, this. Yeah, that one works. Every 100% of the time. 60% of the time it works. Works all the time. Every time. Yeah, but that percentage is only right 14.5% of the time. That's the deal. Spoonful of peanut butter. Works 60% of the time. Every time. Hold steady, softened sound. We love you, Lauren. I love you guys, too. Thank you. This is your trust tree. You're in the nest. You're in the nest. Tell you, I wore a blue polo to Best Buy the other day. They thought I worked there. True story. That is classic. Excuse me, little man. Guy asked me where the copiers were. What did you say? I go, I don't work here. What if you were like, what? It's because I'm Mexican? It's your blue shirt. Yeah. I looked at it. I was like, oh, wow. Why don't you just go ahead and wear a red shirt to Target? Yeah. Why don't you go ahead and do that? Did you happen to slip an adult DVD in anything while you were there, Michael?
Store. Why don't you wear a clown hat and work at Hot Dog Gonna Stick? Yeah, maybe I wear a little Shriner hat. Multicolored Shriner hat and go to Hot Dog Gonna Stick. You ever done that? You ever been mistaken for working at some place? All the time, dude. It happens to me at Target, but I wasn't wearing a red shirt, but somebody will be like, excuse me, do you know what? I'm like... What do I look like, dude? It happens to me all the time. Yeah, me too. And I don't know they're talking to me. And then they go, oh, you don't work here. I'm like, oh, you were talking to me. Weird that I'm not paying attention. Yeah, that's all. At the adult movie theater that Woodsy works at, a lot of times people... It's a side gig. I do projections. I almost said something really inappropriate. I have, like, whenever I am walking, like, on a walk, every time. 99% of the time, someone pulls over and asks me for directions. Really? Yeah, you're an approachable person. But I don't know why. You can't, that's why. But sometimes they're women. She has a friendly face. That's nice. You are. You're bubbly. That's why people ask you. I'm like, oh, am I wearing a shirt that says La Jolla or something? People never ask me for directions for the exact opposite reason. People ask me for cigarettes. Really? True. Well, because you're smoking them. People ask me how many blondes it takes to screw in a light bulb. How many?
I don't know. I haven't figured it out yet. Woodsy, you must have, because I used to smoke. People did not ask me. So you have an approachableness about you. Uh-huh. You know? Anybody ever, anybody in the audience, ever been mistaken for somebody and you were like either offended by it, not offended. It was funny. Have you ever mistaken somebody for something? Has anybody ever come up to you or anybody and asked you for an autograph? Not knowing who you really were. Like thinking you were a celebrity. That happened to our general manager. In fact, yeah. In fact, he told the person, that's not who I am. That's not who I am. That's not who I am. And the girl was drunk and was insistent. And he finally signed the autograph. No way. Who was it? Who did she think he was? She thought that he was James Taylor. Oh, wow. I kind of see that a little bit. He went to a concert and he, through the record company, got front row seats to this concert. And it was like a Billy Joel concert or something. And they thought, oh, look, James Taylor's in the front row of the Billy Joel concert. Went up to him, wanted to meet him and say hi. And he immediately said, I'm not James Taylor. And the lady was like, you don't have to be like that. I'm not a weirdo. I'm not a stalker. I just wanted to say hi. I'm sorry. Can I please get an autograph? And he was like, I'm not James Taylor.
And she was insistent. And he said he finally signed it. That's brilliant. Just yesterday, someone asked to take a picture of me because they thought I was Megan Fox. It was weird. Really? No, you guys. Lauren. Do I look at anything? Instantly, Lauren goes away. Do I look at anything like Megan Fox? Yeah, I signed Brad Pitt the other day. True story. Lindsay Lohan, yes, I can see. I was in Chicago and I worked at a bar called The Hunt Club. And I was 22 years old. So when you have the day off and you're 22 and you live in Chicago, What are you going to do? You're going to go hang out at the bar that you work at because everybody knows you and you're big time there. I walk in and have lunch with a buddy and this girl, I see her looking at me and she's looking and she's sniggling with her friend. She looks over. She goes, I'm so sorry to bother you. I know you're having lunch. I'm 22, mind you. I go, she goes, can I have your autograph? I go, who do you think I am? She goes, you're Judd Nelson. Judd Nelson from the Breakfast Club. I'm like, I looked at her and I go, yep. What? I go, no, I'm not Judd Nelson. Did you give her the hard T? What? Oh, my wife loves the hard T. I'm scared when I get the hard T from you. Really? Like once in maybe a month. What?
What? What? I hate when I get like that. Sienna. Sienna. Hey, man, I'm telling you, when we first met Woodsy, and I'm not kidding you, we took a picture with him for the express purpose. I go, dude, let us, are you cool if I put this on the website? He looked so much like Robert Downey Jr. when we first met him that I said, and we put on the website, Robert Downey Jr. hung out with the morning show this morning. I had my glasses the whole bit. He looked just like Robert Downey Jr. That was my first on air ever that day. That's cool. Do you guys know who Wendy Peppercorn is? Of course. She's a fictitious character from The Sandlot. Yeah. Oh, the lifeguard. She's hot. Oh, yeah. And, yeah, they all love her. So last year I was walking past a group of, like, it's always awkward, I feel like, walking past, like, a little group of, like, seventh graders or whatever. Because I'm like, oh, God, where do I look? Am I a lady now? Am I still a girl? And I walk past them and this kid comes running up to me and goes, excuse me, are you Wendy Peppercorn? And all his friends are like, ah!
You do? I see that. I don't at all, but I felt like I was like, wow, that's kind of a compliment. Why don't you tell everybody about the 17-year-old that you passed the other day? Did you hear about this? No. You didn't hear about that? No. Tell a story. I went for a run. Weird. Yeah, weird. Yeah, weird. I think I saw you. Yeah. I was going downhill, and these people were all lined up at the stop sign, and this 16, maybe 17-year-old kid had his window open. He goes, hey, beautiful. It was like awkward because I looked him right in the eye. I thought it was me with one of my friends or whatever. I looked him like right in the eye and then I looked down all nervous. And I was like, wow, I kind of like that. He's 17. How great is that? I know. How great is that? I just was like, well, you know, I'm old enough to kind of be his mom. Hey, listen. I say to my wife all the time, I'm like, you like that Friday Night Lights a lot, don't you? You like that TV show Friday Night Lights an awful lot, don't you? She's like, yes, so? Yeah, they're in high school, honey. Yeah, 17-year-old boys playing football with their shirts off. I'm like, hey, you really dig that show, don't you, babe? Jacob from Twilight. I like the storyline. Yeah, it's a great story. It's a great story. I'm like, really? Yeah, it's also 17-year-olds doing push-ups for 45 minutes. Well, if that guy were like 10 years older, I would have been like, ew, and like sprinted away. But because he was young and he was like, yeah. I guarantee that guy has serious.
game in his high school. To be able to say that to someone who's older, you know? Hey, Woodsy, don't you think that's kind of, you know, that takes rocks, right? Dude, I'd never had those until I discovered alcohol and then got to college. No, granted he was in a car with his friends. Are you sure? And there's safety in numbers. Right. And he had his window down. Yeah. He wasn't by himself. Yeah, but he wasn't like, like, it wasn't really immature. I had a buddy, I had a buddy that was like that in high school. We all had fake IDs, weird. And in Texas, you only had to be 18 to get in. to a adult, what's it called? Adult male film. No, strip club. Oh, sorry. So we go and my buddy Anthony Costa, we're all 17 years old. I'm like, where the hell is Costa? We're sitting there being idiots, right? Because we're 17 in a strip club. We're like, he he he he. Yeah. Costa's over in the corner with this hot stripper, like making out and like giving her bits. He's 17? 17. I'm like... Where the hell did he go? He's like, hey, guys, here, take my car keys. I'm going to catch a ride home with Bambi here. I'm like, how do you do it, dude? There's always like one friend in every bunch. Amazing. From the time he's in fifth grade, he's like wheeling and dealing like a politician. What is that? He'll get you. I wonder what that is. I mean, I was the furthest thing from it. Charisma. Savoir Faire. Let's see. M1 Mariel.
Meryl. Meryl. Meryl. Meryl from Belly Up. Hi. Hey, girl. How are you? I have a story. I actually was walking in Solana Beach the other day, and I thought it was you and Matt, and I jumped in front of the car and did like a booty pop. Oh, gee. And it wasn't them. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. A booty pop. What's a booty pop? Well, Meryl is a little bit of a character, so I'm assuming she did one of these. Oh, wow. Right in front of the car. Sticks out her butt and wiggles it. Yeah, you stuck your butt out and wiggled it? Yeah, it was kind of like from a Run DMC video. Yeah. Oh, wow. So it's one of those. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. And did they look at you like you were insane? Yeah, like terrified. Yeah, terrified. Calling 911 on their cell phone. Oh, I love it. We're being accosted by a woman walking across the street. Those people laugh for a good half an hour. For sure. Crazy lady. They're like that poor kid. I'm not a hot version of you out there, Lauren. That's awesome. Oh, thanks, Meryl. You're very welcome. Thanks, Meryl.
Bye, darling. You know, I was at, when I did the Miss Mission Beach thing, speaking of mistaken identity, we have an M1 bass string. And I know him and seen him. He's a great, great dude. Well, I met the thing, and I had told M1s to come out and hang out because we're, you know, girls in bikinis. We're going to have a great time. I literally, I saw this dude that could have been his twin, and I go, bass! This guy looked at me like... Guitar. In the hell are you? Drum set. I go, bass. And he turned and I go, yep, that's not him. And I just walked away. It was the worst. Dude, let me tell you. One of the hardest that I've ever laughed and that I've ever seen Eddie laugh. This was back in the days when I still used to throw a couple pops back. We went to the Del Mar Fair media party. Oh, boy. And I had thrown a couple of pops back. And we worked with a guy. And the guy was. He's kind of strange, kind of cool, you know, somewhere in between, kind of strange, kind of cool. And his name was Wes. And I saw Wes. And Wes was dating Donna. And Donna wasn't with him. But I went, Wes! Like in front of him, like two feet from him. Wes! Where's Donna? Wasn't Wes. Wasn't Wes. Wasn't Wes.
It's so funny when it happens. It's the worst. It's worse than the best. It's, like, so embarrassing, but if you can tell someone that you're with, it's so funny. It was so bad. And I do the bit where I'm like, oh, sorry, wrong dude, man, and I walk away. The worst is when you do it and you're alone and you have, like, no one to turn to you. Oh, God. You should have seen me running through the rest of the... I just wanted to lose myself in the crowd. BASE! Yeah, that's not him. Oh, gosh. Idiot. It's so great. I didn't know anybody out there. I was hoping somebody would come hang with me. Thanks to all you guys for coming out. I thought about it. Did you? I thought about it. I didn't think about it. I thought about all the other people that were going to go besides me. Really? Babe. Nope. Oh, sorry. Babe. Sorry, John. Yeah, it was so embarrassing. M1 Winder from Poway is on the line. Hey, bubs. What's up, guys? What up, brother? How's it going? Good. So, years ago, when I was younger and hotter, I was out at a bar in PBF with my boys, and I was standing at the bar, and about, like, 20 chicks come up, and they're, oh, my God, is it him? Is it him? And they keep back and forth, that's him. And I'm like, who? And they're, you're the guy from Blink, right? I'm like, um, yeah. No. Mark Hoppus? The whole night at the bar, yeah. They just kept buying a, no, Tom.
They kept buying us drinks, like, all night long. And finally, at the end of the night, some deep friend of us all just bought him. You dyed your hair dark, huh? Yeah, I used to dye my hair dark. Yeah, I could see that. I could totally see that. I could see it if his hair was dark, for sure. I saw him last night. Why did you tell everybody who your sister is, though? Oh, geez. In real life. This is cool, yeah. In real life. Little angel. The chick from Teen Wolf, Pamela the Blonde. It's his sister. So good. Teen Wolf? Yeah. Did you ever see Teen Wolf with Michael J. Fox? No, you know that. Yeah. Turns into a werewolf. I may have done things. All right. Thanks, Woods. Fair enough. Woods. All right. I'm just going to leave it at that. All right. That was definitely where you can leave it. You can leave it. You can leave it. You can leave it. And you're being inappropriate. Sure. He needs Woods. That is so cool. Why do you feel the need? Because. It's funny. Winder's my buddy. And that's his sister. Yeah, he's vomiting right now. That's his sister. Thank you, Winder. Later, guys. Later, brother. Do you know how many times in high school he's like, dude, your sister's hot. When you watch that movie, you're like, oh. Yeah, she's a hottie boom body. Do you remember her? I'll show you. That's okay. I want to see her really bad. I really want to. I'm good. No, I'm going to show you. I think I'm all right. I'm going to show you and you're going to rip. Okay? Don't be a Sally. I think I'm fine. You got a piece under those pants, pal? You're going to see. Oh, my goodness. I think I'm okay. You're going to see. I want to see. I think I'm fine.
Oh, my God. Excuse me. M1 Green from North Park. Hi. Hello. What are you doing? I'm driving to work. I'm Angel. What were you calling to tell us? Well, I'm just cracking up at you guys by myself in the car, and I thought I'd share a story of a, I guess, misconnection, you would call it. What happened? It was my 21st birthday, and we were at a bar in North Park, and my... best friend Shelby came with us and she was wearing this blue collared button down shirt and I have this thing with her. She's my best friend, right? And I like go up and I slap her butt like with both hands. Grab her boobs, we know. And I did that to this girl and she was playing pool and I thought it was Shelby. I was like, Shelby! Really high pitched. Everyone in the bar could hear it.
Oh my gosh. How did you react? How did you react? Well, I was drunk and I'm really loud anyway. So I was like, oh my God, I thought you were my best friend. I'm really sorry. Please don't call the cops on me. No, she probably laughed. If you're a guy, it's another story. Yeah, if you're a dude, you're in deep doo-doo. Oh, jeez. I can't even imagine what would have happened because that would have been all loud and obnoxious. Thank you for the call. A family friend of ours, and we lived in Yuma named Melinda, said to our gardener, weird. Do you have any habaneros? Yeah, said to our gardener, nice plumber's crack. She thought it was my dad. Oh. She goes, nice plumber's crack. Guy turns around like, really? Thank you. Oh, my gosh. Thanks. In fact, every time I hear the words plumber's crack, I always think of that story. I thought it was plumber's butt. It's crack. Plumber's crack. Say no to crack. M1 Dark Coast from San Diego. How's it going? Good, man. What'd you do? Well, I was at one of those grocery store banks waiting in line for the ATM. And I look up and I see my brother in front of me. What's my brother doing here?
Thinking, oh, he hasn't seen me yet. I know. I'm going to sneak up behind him and punch him as hard as I can. Give him a dead arm. Boom. Dead arm. So, I walk up to the guy. Slowly, you know, sneaky, sneaky. Reach back and I hit him as hard as I can right in the shoulder. Bam. Guy turns around. Wasn't my brother. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Did he punch you in the face? You know, I thought I hit him pretty hard. I was pretty sure he was going to go down, but he just turned around and stared at me. This guy, he had to be probably in his mid-50s. He had a face like a brick, and I thought I was about to get my butt kicked. How did you mistake a guy in his 50s for your brother? I don't know. He must have dyed his hair or something because he had, you know, from the back, it looked like my brother. Wow. Holy cow. Same hairstyle. How'd you talk your way out of that one? You know, I kind of try to laugh it off. He's still staring me down. You're like, here, take all the money I just got from the ATM. Yeah, he probably saw shock on your face, too. Oh, yeah, I'm pretty sure I turned bright red. I just kind of slowly backed up and decided to get money elsewhere. Thank you. He starts crying. M1 Dry Hawk from downtown, you got a great one. Hey, what's up, man? Not too much. What'd you do? So back in 1999, my graduation party, my girlfriend had like a pretty sexy short haircut.
And we were all looking at the pictures and, you know, in the garage and all the, you know, crap you look at at a graduation party. So I walked up behind her and grabbed her on the waist and started kissing her neck. Then I looked up and the door opened the garage and my girlfriend walked in. So who are you kissing? Some random girl? Her best friend. Of course. I thought it was going to be a dude. I thought it was going to be her mom. I thought it was going to be her mom. Did your girlfriend, I'm sure your girlfriend understood. She was pissed. Weird. Yeah, weird. I'd be so pissed. You'd be mad if your boyfriend was holding your best friend by the waist and kissing her neck? Yeah, why would you be mad about that? Why would that upset you? Why didn't her best friend turn around and say, what are you doing? She probably did. She was like, keep going. She reached back and grabbed him by the head like this. You're untrusting women. Unbelievable the way you guys are. M1 Drew on the 8. What happened? Drew. Oops. I didn't hit the line. There you go. Hi, Drew. What up? Hey, yeah, we were in the kitchen looking at pictures of my wife and her sister-in-law, and I went to smack my wife's butt, but it turned out that was my sister. Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. You smacked your sister on the butt? Sister-in-law. Sister-in-law. Sister-in-law. Oh, so much better than sister. Way better, actually. Or is it? Is it? Which would have been better? Sister-in-law better than sister. Really? See if it was a boob grab the other way, but...
If my brother smacked my butt, I might throw up on set. Yeah. Remember that breath. Yeah. No, it's true. That's true. So how did she react to it? She kind of looked at me like, what are you doing? And then I suddenly realized it was my sister-in-law and not my wife. And yeah, that didn't go over well. Gnarly. They probably look a lot alike. Gnarly. M1 Baby Shaker from Camp Pendleton. What's up, dude? What's going on, man? Dude, good to hear your voice, man. I'm all good, bro. Oh. Oh.
Hi. That's crazy. Goodness. But let's just say the lady that was in there, she wasn't upset that I came in there. Oh. Wow. Yes. Yeah, and it was a little crazy for me, man. Wow. Well, how crazy did it get? Did you make that right? Well, you know what I'm saying? I had been drinking, too, but the old lady was in the next stall, so. My favorite part about that is that she got his. Yeah. His old lady got sick and said, don't come pick me up. She said, bring me some new clothes. Bring me some new clothes. She was from Keep Raging. I was going to try and introduce them to each other. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Call in every day. Yeah. Please. Seriously. I'll call you guys tomorrow. Love it. Thank you, Baby Shaker. Baby Shaker. of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. The XX song's called Sheltered. It's for my dime, pal. You're 10. It's for my dime. Yeah, my 10. My little angel. Got any Ryan Adams on your list today? No, for the first time ever. That is so strange. Don't worry about it. I'm playing the music tomorrow too. Maybe you hear something then. Maybe. LLB has given me a gift. I am. I forfeited my music day. That's right. LLB is off to Jersey. Oh! Bring me a Soprano something. Okay. Something. Maybe I bring you back a fist pump. I actually have a request. You do? You probably won't find it. Saltwater taffy. No. Oh, yes. Please. Yeah? That's fine. But if you find this, if you find it, I will take it. Okay. New Jersey tomato seeds.
Oh, I think I can find that. That's a big thing. Did you know that? The problem is, though, you need the right soil. You need some sandy soil. Really? That's why tomatoes and cranberries and stuff like that grow so well in New Jersey. It's the pH level, the sand. See, I bet that's a deal. Like, everybody makes a big deal out of those tomatoes. In fact, I know a guy that got some of them and grew them out here, and he's like, oh, my gosh, they taste so good. Now that you're saying that, yeah. Give it a shot. But now that she's saying that. I bet it's like, dude. It's the garden state. It's the soil. But do you see what I'm saying? I see exactly what you're saying. In his own mind. In his mind, he's convinced himself. He's convinced himself they're better. That they taste better. Maybe you will do that the same. It's probably the soil. But it's a different type of tomato. It's not like the Roma tomato that you'll grab from out here. If there's a human being that's going to convince himself that his tomatoes are delicious and they're Jersey tomatoes, it's you. I'm a tomato. I grow tomatoes. I love growing tomatoes. I love gardening. Weird. Weird. You might as well try it out, Mike. I will get them for you. Do you know what I saw the other day? I thought of you guys, too. I wonder what the girls especially will think of this. They make converse chucks, but they make them for gardening. So what they are, really, is crocks that have been...
Made to look like Chucks. Why is that good for gardening? I don't get it. Why do you need slipping in and out of shoes? Because your feet can get, your shoes can get wet, they can get filthy, and it'll just spray right off with a garden hose. Okay. Do you have a picture of it? Oh, yeah. Wow. Cool. So where do you stand with those, ladies? If I were to wear something like that, if I were to garden and need something like that, I'd wear those. Yeah, I have Crocs. That's not manly. I know, but it's... Listen, I knew no one was going to see me. I also had like a really bad straw Mexican hat. Weird. You just called it a hat. For me, it's just called a hat. Actually, it's called a sombrero. I call it a sombrero. Is it weird that I garden on a poncho? Is that strange? Is that weird? Not at all. Is it weird that you have a mariachi band playing while you garden? Is it weird that I garden on a burrow? Is that strange? It's coming. Oh, gosh. This summer. What? Coming to a cul-de-sac near you. Spaghetti Mexican. Mexican spaghetti. Dude, we're doing it. We're doing it. We're doing it. Have we talked about this on the air? Oh, yeah. Have we? No. Can I talk about it? Have we? We have. No, we haven't. We've talked about it twice. I think in meetings we have. In meetings. Mikey's. Tell everyone your great idea, Mike. I want to hear what the M1s think about it. My wife.
She doesn't even like me to bring it up now. Like now when I bring it up. She's rolling over right now going, really? Yeah. No, we're not doing this, Woods. When I bring it up now. Do we blame her? Really? Yeah. When I bring it up now. I'm on board. She goes, babe, don't do that. Don't. And I'm like, babe, I'm not. It's going to happen. So get used to it. Get ready. Who's going to come, Woods? Yeah. Niamh, Jamie. Listen. My dogs. I want to have a party called Mexican Spaghetti. You can't even say I'm with a straight face. I can't. Now, you have to be in the right paradigm. It's stupid. Like, that's the paradigm. That's stupid. You've got to be there, though. Like, my wife doesn't get that. Like, because she goes, that's stupid. And I go, but that's the point. That's the brilliance of it. The brilliance of it. Okay. So, what is it? We're going to get those wooden horses to block off the block. Saw horses. The saw horses to block off the block. We're going to have everybody come over and we're going to hire mariachis. And we're going to serve spaghetti. That's it. And I'm going to have t-shirts made that say Mexican spaghetti. We're going to have t-shirts made. Mexican spaghetti 2010. That makes me a little bit better with t-shirts. The mariachis will be walking around.
Okay, they will be playing their mariachi music. And as this is going on, you can be serving yourself spaghetti. Yeah, delicious, homemade. What about the spaghetti will be Mexican? When he first gave this idea to me, I go, literally, verbatim, I go, it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard, period. And I go, dude. You don't mess with spaghetti. Like, people try to make chicken spaghetti, turkey. You don't mess with spaghetti. Make regular spaghetti. He goes, dude, it's not, like, noodles with salsa on it. It's real. You're having Italian spaghetti. It's Italian spaghetti. It's regular spaghetti. There's nothing about the spaghetti that is Mexican at all. And, like, the T-shirt will have, like, a donkey on it. Yeah. Can there be? And an Italian guy. And an Italian guy. I want a pinata. Yeah, pinata. Pinata. And all the beer will be like Italian beer. Yeah, Peroni. Yeah, Peroni. No, that's mixing it up too much. No. We need Corona. All the food and drink is Italian. Yeah. And then everything else about it is Mexican. Canolis. Canolis. Canolis. Delicious. Tiramisu. I didn't tell you this. Tiramisu. Rebecca had a couple of glasses of wine on vacation.
And I brought up Mexican spaghetti, and she did her usual, be quiet, I don't want to hear about it. And then a couple glasses of wine, and I go, babe, I'm telling you, Woods is now in on it. I said, because he gets it, now he understands. He did it now. And she goes, what, explain it. And so I started, so I start to like explain the deal. And she goes, I got to the food part, and she goes, yeah, and like cannolis. And I go, look at you, look at you, look at you. Caesar salad. Yeah. That's not Italian. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Julius Caesar. Yeah. Roman emperor. Yep. It'll be all things. Garlic bread. Garlic bread. Spaghetti. Cannolis. Meatballs. Madagot. Yeah. But there will be these dudes wandering around the backyard. With a piñata back there. Everything that we put in our body is going to be Italian. Yes, yes. However, the decor and the piñata, the activities will be Mexican. So they're going to be, it's like a fusion of two cultures. Because for no reason. He's Mexican. For no reason. Yes. Who's Italian? And no one. No one is even Italian. No one. I just, it occurred to me, Mexican spaghetti. It's brilliant. And it would be one of those things that five years, like, hey.
Aren't you doing Mexican spaghetti? Yeah. When you put it that way. So over under the L.O.B. comes. Absolutely not. Like zero percent chance. Zero percent chance. Zero. This will be L.O.B. L.O.B. do one of these. Creeper. L.O.B. will go. L.O.B. will go. Oh, man. That's the weekend I'm going to get my teeth whitened. That's the weekend my hair is getting curled. Tell me what it is. I'll pencil it in. Really? I said, hey, let's get it going. Dude. Next month. For real? Like, seriously. No one's really busy for me. What if we make our next meet and greet Mexican spaghetti? Jay, get Rebecca on the phone. Get Rebecca on. July. July. Let's do it in July. What's the weather like? It's pretty cold outside? It'll be great in July. I'm going to be a whale, you guys. It'll be great in July, though. Yeah, but you'll be really hungry. I'm always really hungry. You'll be really hungry. Yeah, you'll be so hungry. Throwdown of epic proportions. Epic proportions. It will be like the biggest thing. I say we do it at like 5 o'clock at night, 6 o'clock. Can we have a limbo there just because? No. Why not? Why not? I'll bring sand in.
We'll get sand in. I think we should. We'll do your whole house in sand. We'll cover your whole house in sand. It'll be like a beach park. I tell Rebecca, hey, babe, here's what we're going to do. We're going to have one of those small bobcat tractors bring sand into the house and just dump it in the kitchen. You would vomit, the thought of that. The thought of that would make my wife, would literally make her pass out. If I said, babe, here's what we're going to do. Just one time, we're going to fill the swimming pool with sand and just fill it up with sand. Oh, you would never get it out. Here's what we do. We do a little pool. It's like a pool pinata bit. Everybody's going to swim and eat spaghetti, getting out of that pool, grabbing a cold beer. And then eating spaghetti after you've been in the pool? That does not sound like a good one. And there's mariachis in full regalia. They're going to be so hot. I'm in. I'm in now. And they're walking around and they're doing this. Okay, okay. Everybody's eating spaghetti, having brownies. It's going to be epic. It's going to be great. And the t-shirts. What can we put in the pinata? Oh, that's a good... Raisins. Raisins? I'm just kidding. Yeah, she's like vitamins. No Rolexes? Herbal supplements. Rolexes. I'm mad, guys. What if we put Rolexes and emeralds? Why don't we? Everyone would come. Yeah.
Guys, what if we put gift certificates to, like, Hoenn Mercedes? Man, I am there. BMW. Yeah. Jay, can you get her? Rebecca? No, she's not answering either line. Oh, weird. Of course not. She doesn't want any part of Mexican spaghetti. No, she's in. I'm telling you, she had a couple of Merlots. Merlot? Merlot. With Frankie Boy? Yeah, dude. And she was like. Yeah, cannolis, right? That would work, right? And I'm like, look at you. Got you, dude. Got you. Question. Yes. Will there or will there not be donkeys there? Can you imagine? We need burros. How great would it be if we had a little burro? A little donkey ride, bring the kids? I'll handle the burro. If anybody has ideas for Mexican spaghetti. I got a burro guy. That's not the first time you said you'd handle the burro. I've got a guy. I got a guy. I know somebody. I got a friend. M1 Lopez. M1 Lopez, are you there? Let's see. M1 Jeremiah from Hamul. Hello? Oh, wait. There we go. There we go. There you go. Jeremiah, is that who you're talking to? Yes, I am. Yeah, so the Caesar salad was actually invented at the Caesar Hotel in Tijuana.
See? It's Mexican. So it fits. No, we're only eating Italian. Well, what kind of Italian? Oh, we'll do bruschetta. Bruschetta. I love that. Capacola. We'll get fresh. Caprese. How about caprese? We'll get fresh mozzarella. Yeah, some buffalo mozzarella. Get regat, homemade regat. Mozzarella. I love it. Manigot. Yeah. I want to eat all of that right now. Do Italians have an equivalent of... Tacos? No, they don't. It's the best food ever. Do Italians have an equivalent of mariachis? Yeah, they have the cantore. Oh, yeah, dude. But don't they also... Opera. Don't they have... They've got... Junior. They do clarinet, right? They'll do like the clarinet, right? That's not the clarinet. No, it isn't. It's very soprano. I'm talking about the... You're thinking Kenny G, dude. No, but I thought the food is Italian, the rest is Mexican. Yeah, we don't want it. It's all Italian. You're mixing it up. We just call it an Italian party. You're overthinking it. Without the mariachis, it wouldn't be a Mexican spaghetti party. That's true. I got a bunch of ones writing in and they want it to be our next meet and greet. That's what I was thinking. Spaghetti factory? Mexican spaghetti. The next one. It'd be fantastic.
M1 Ron from El Cajon. T-shirt? Make it the Leaning Tower of Pizza with a bigada hanging over the side. I love that. Or a donkey knocking over the Leaning Tower of Pizza. I love it. I love it. Why is Rebecca not picking that phone up? Because she doesn't want Mexican food. We're going to get her. Text her. Text her. And text the bone, too. Because they're hanging out. that all squared away. M1 Ryan from Lakeside. Good. Hey, there is a Mexican equivalent for spaghetti. It's called fideo. Oh, I hate fideo. Oh, I am not a fan of fideo. My mom used to make that when I was growing up. It's angel hair spaghetti, but it's, I don't know what that sauce is that fideo is in, but I'm out already. Anything? Yep. Is there anyone that doesn't? I could eat that crap for days. Oh, not me.
Is there anyone that doesn't like Italian food? That's the thing. Italian is great. Everyone loves it. It is the best. It's the best tasting food. What does she say? She said that they have reached their destination, but she's going to have a call. You guys leave him alone. They're trying to have a day out. I know, but I want to get this dialed in. We're here in the trenches. Yeah. Taking grenades. We're putting food on the table. Make it right. All I need is for... See, I know the way my wife works. Here we go. She's calling. If we get verbal confirmation, even if it's on the air, it's done. We'll convince her. Well, she'll make it happen. And my wife will help, too. She loves to help. Let's see. Hi, honey. Hi. Okay, so you didn't hear what we were talking about, right? No, uh-uh. Okay, we've been talking about Mexican spaghetti. Oh, my God. But he's selling it. Like, we're all kind of in now. Babe, everybody's in on Mexican spaghetti. No, uh-uh. Babe, babe, babe, babe. What if it's our next meet and greet? Babe, it can be the next meet and greet, but we have to do the Mexican spaghetti. You know... Babe, let it try one time. Let's try it one time. It's so dumb.
If you want to have people over for dinner, let's have people over for dinner. Babe, we will, but we want a burro there and a pinata. I'm bringing a donkey. Yeah. And we want to give away, like, a pinata with a bunch of cars in it. Diamonds. Diamonds and emeralds and jewels. Why not? Babe, one time Mexican spaghetti, and then if you do not love it, then you'll never hear of Mexican spaghetti ever again. Can I say I already don't love it? Babe, we try one time. That's it. We try one time with a Mexican spaghetti. Why is this involved? Okay, real quickly, Mexican spaghetti will involve the following. A real mariachi band, okay? And Italian food, maybe one of those silver... buckets that you put ice and beers in, Peroni beers, Italian beers, T-shirts that say Mexican Spaghetti 2010, and, you know, Italian food. All Italian food, Mexican decor. Yeah, Mexican decor. Like the mariachis, pinata. I'm still on the fence, Rebecca. I'm sold. Once he said T-shirts, I was in. I was like, okay, now this is festive. Yeah.
Oh, my God. All right. All right. I love your face. I love your face. I love your face. I love your face. Angel. Angel face. All right, my darling. All right, I love you. All right, bye. Oh, my goodness. Oh, that's great. People are already designing shirts. He just... Jay just came in here with... Bibs, shirts, the whole bit, like anything that you want. And it's like a tuxedo, but instead of a tuxedo, it's a mariachi outfit. Oh, yes. Let me see. How great is that? Oh, yeah. That's it. Not shirt. That is fantastic. That is genius. We are getting those shirts. M1 Joe from San Diego. I'll wear the onesie. M1 Joe. Joe, how you doing? How you doing, man? Good. Okay, so you want to make a Mexican spaghetti. What you do is you take long spaghetti noodles, right? Uh-huh. You get those cooked up. You throw them back in the pot. You put some olive oil on the noodles so they don't get stuck together. Okay. Then you make up some pico de gallo, you know, tomatoes, onions, cilantro. See, now you're making it actually Mexican. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We want it Italian. Yeah, you got to understand.
It's not supposed to make sense. It's a fusion. Yeah, you're making sense of it. Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Hey, if it doesn't work, next year we'll do Italian tacos. That's right. And see how that goes. That's right. Let me tell you, I want this to be, I want to blow it out so big that she, there's no doubt in her mind that we have to do it again. She wants to do an annual Mexican spaghetti. We get your wife and my wife. A couple bottles of Pinot. I thought that exact same thing. They'll have a blast. Exact same thing. Can we get some, like, what are those? Castaneda. Castaneda. Yes. Those are dancers, right? Castaneda. Maracas. Dancers. That's a clicky thing. Castaneda. All in. All in. I think that's more of Spain. Oh, is it? Who cares? Looks like it. They're all the same, aren't they? Matthew, Ryan, this is Return to Me. Don't go away because we come back. How about we do a little Donald Duck theater? Yes. We'll do that next. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. Or text 949mikey at gmail.com. It's his new bit. That was 30 seconds tomorrow. Oh, my God. She's putting his.
His pants are gross. Weird and gross. Doesn't even completely have his pants on. No. I was in the bathroom. I heard, ooh, tag-alongs. I go, oh, God, we're back in the air. That's good. Give me your hands. Yeah, I know. I didn't get a chance to wash. Sorry. Weird. And a bacterial hand gel. Not that I would have washed anyway. Gross. So there's a 19-year-old girl from Georgia. Yeah. got in trouble for passing a school bus on the side. A stopped school bus on the side of the road. Can't do that, babe. Can't do that. Can you not? No. When the stop sign's out and the little red lights are flashing. Oh, I guess you can. Yeah, you can't pass on either side. Oh, my gosh. You guys stop for that? In La Jolla, they take limos to school. They don't have stop signs. I always tell the driver to go past that. I've never been on a school bus. Really? Have you not? Write that down. No. Write that down. Wait. Stop down. Yeah. I don't know anyone. Wait. Who's been on the school bus? What? You guys all rode the bus? Yes. Yeah. Mr. Belvedere didn't actually take you guys to school. You never rode the bus? Not one time. How did you get to field trips?
G5s? It's called a chopper, dummy. I guess maybe I did for... No. Parents drove. There's always the chaperones. Man, that's awesome. Are there buses in the Hoya? Yeah. Pictures. No, I'm sure I've been on one. She's like, is a bus the same thing as a chariot? I've been on a party bus before. I've been on a few party buses. You know that. I've been on the public bus a couple times. City bus. That's the worst. The worst. I would never go on it now. The worst. I've been on it. Ever. The bus. I don't know. I've never been in a situation where I'm behind one. I guess if I saw a stop sign come out, I didn't know they'd come out of the bus. Oh, yeah. And the red light. I'm sorry. I used to take a public bus to go fishing. I didn't have my fishing. What? Wait. What? What?
What do you mean? I did. I used to go fishing. Why? Where? I used to go fishing in Gilroy. How old were you? Dude, I don't know, like 12? I don't think that's weird. That's so weird. And I'd have my little fishing pole in my tackle box. That is not weird. Where did it drop you? At a lake? It dropped me off on the side of the road. You had to walk like to the spillway? It dropped me off like at this bus stop out in the middle of the country. In the country. And I would walk underneath. I go through the, you know, under this little barbed wire fence. And I would walk down to this crick. Did you have a straw hanging out of your mouth? Did you have? Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. Yeah, it's like Mark Twain. You didn't have any friends, too. Aw. Mikey. Did you catch anything? I couldn't see you. Yeah, this one time, I remember I caught this big fish. I have this other weird memory. I had this little, I had this little. Oh, my God. I had this little charm in my tackle box. And the charm, I've never told this story to another human. I love it already. Remember Jimmy Swagger? Oh, yeah. The televangelist. Yeah, the televangelist. He was a swindler or whatever. When I was a little kid, I sent him money. Mikey, no, you didn't. And he sent me a little pin. How much did you send him? That's so cute. I don't know. $5? Probably. That's adorable. Yeah. And I had a little pin.
From Jimmy Swagger. From Jimmy Swagger in my little tackle box. Aww. That's the cutest. Did your tackle box say Mikey? Oh my gosh. Can you believe that? I can picture him on the bus like... I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Really? I've seen a whole lot more go on on the bus. Maybe I get on a school bus one day. Well, anyway, this girl... passed the school bus illegally. She pulled over, you know, alongside of it and passed it. You can't do that. Yes. So she had to go to court and she was told that she needs to write, I will not dishonor myself by passing a school bus 2,500 times as well as perform community service, pass a defensive driving course and pay a $350 fine. Wow. I have no problem with any of it but the sentences. Yeah. She said that she's not going to do that. She was like, I am absolutely not. I'm not writing sentences. Why? How's she dishonoring herself, though? I'm not writing. What are we in seventh grade? Judge gets to impose whatever the judge wants. She could go to jail. Maybe the judge's car gets something thrown at it by the kid. Real good if I got to go write sentences.
It's not that bad. There's a whole lot worse you could be doing. Yeah, what did she say? She said that she was like, I'm absolutely not doing these sentences. You know, she said that she passed the bus accidentally because there were two tractor trailers blocking her view. You also want a trophy for your seventh place. Dude, 350 fine, defensive driving, and community service is ample, ample consequence. I agree. I agree with that. And how is she dishonoring herself? Wait a minute, though. Wait a minute. I thought that the deal was, maybe I was wrong, though. But I thought that the deal was that she could choose between the sentences.
I'll write sentences all day before I do the other three. It says, Nancy, who's 19 of L and 1, was ordered by a Forest Park judge to write the sentences as well as perform community service, pass a defensive driving course, and pay $350 fine after the judge found her responsible for passing a stopped school bus in March. Yeah, that's a lot. That's ridiculous. But apparently the town solicitor for Forest Park, which is the area that's happened, said that writing sentences is common for drivers under 21. And I guess it happens a lot when they pass the school buses, and this is like the deal. They all know that that's what happens. Maybe I bang some erasers together, too, at the end of the day. I used to like doing that. Weird. Erasers? Just getting high on chalk dust. No, it was fun. Hey, listen, if you did something wrong, you did something wrong, right? Yep. Oh, my gosh. On television, they're showing the Gulf of Mexico, and what's happening to all the marine life is starting to really affect the marine life. You know, the fish are just like plopping up to the top. I'm telling you, man, it's really bad. It's really bad. I mean, is there anything that we can do? Can we do anything? Not us as individuals that we have a solution for.
I don't think there's anything we can do to fix it. Do you want to know the update as of this morning? They attempted the so-called top kill attempt, which is where they shoot heavy mud into the leaking well and try to plug it up. They say as of this afternoon, they should know if it's working or not. If it is working, then they put cement in there. They just said Obama's going to visit. And this is nothing against Obama. I voted for Obama. But what's the deal with the presidential visit? Like, they go to the end of the dock and they're like, they nod their head and they go, yes, it definitely looks like oil. They have to go. I know they do. I know they do. But, like, I know it's, like, all pomp and circumstance. But it's just like he walks to the shore and goes, wow. Well, he has to get a firsthand look of just how bad it is. What's he going to do? Now he takes action because he's seen it. People are mad at him. So, unless he saw it. He'd be there, ground zero, and feel the impact. He looks, he goes, I'm not going to do anything. I haven't seen it. No, you can't just be up, you can't be up in like an ivory tower. You're going to be down with the people. Down in the trenches. Yeah, down in the trenches. Now that I've actually seen it. I think we put a stop to it. Yeah, now I'll plug it up. It's not even him. It's all the, like. Oh, all the, yeah. It's like. I think they have to go. They do. And it's in their job description. I just think it's like, it's not funny, but when they get there, they're like. Yep. Okay, yeah, this is awful. Well, see you later. Do you want to know how much oil they're estimating has?
Come out. Seven million gallons. Oh, my God. I can't even wrap my head around that. Seven million gallons. That's a conservative estimate. Well, all you got to do is picture, you know, a typical seven million gallon fish tank. That's all you got to do. And you'll go, OK, I got it. James Carville. Do you guys know who James Carville is? Oh, yeah. James Carville. Raging Cajun. Little bit of a freak out. He could be commandeering tankers and making BP bring tankers in and clean this up. They could be deploying people to the coast right now. He could be with the core engineers in the coast. Talking about Obama. He's from Louisiana. Doing something about these regulations. These people are crying. They're begging for something down here. And it just looks like he's not involved in this. Man, you've got to get down here and take control of this. Put somebody in charge of this thing and get this thing moving. We're about to die down here. He's talking about Obama. Oh, yeah. People are mad at Obama. Well, it happened on April 20th. He hadn't been there yet. Hey, listen, I'm not going to bash Obama. Here's my feeling on this is I go, I'm not going to be the guy that sat here and whined about how everybody got down, you know, got all over President Bush. Even though it's just President Bush right now. Things would be handled. You think?
Well, I'm saying if the same response. He'd be pocketing the oil for himself. If Bush had had the same response. Oh my gosh, we'd be asking for him to be. Oh, we'd be lynching the guy. They'd be his buddies probably that were injured. Old oil man. But I mean, seriously, I think that's obnoxious. Oh, it is. I mean, hey, he probably should have been there weeks ago. If this were President Bush, would everybody be as cool about it as we're being right now? But who's being cool? Everybody's being cool. James Carville's not being cool. You don't hear people freaking out about Obama saying how awful he is, why is he president. That's what they'd be saying if it was Bush. Are they freaking out about Obama? There's plenty of people freaking out about Obama. Every day. Well, this week, there's been more people speaking out about Obama. But seriously, as of last week, very few people. I didn't hear anything. No, just now at my findings. Honestly, my real feeling on it is, what do you want him to do? Go over there and fill the hole himself? He's sitting on top of it going, whoa. No, it's a good point. I mean, he doesn't know. I don't know what we expect him to do. Same thing with Katrina. Katrina. Katrina happened and everybody was like,
George Bush hates black people. And I'm like, really? Does he? You know, just like right now, I'm like, President Obama hates fish. You know, like, really? I don't think he does. Who said that? Kanye West. He's an idiot. Yeah, but I mean, a lot of people thought George Bush didn't care about Louisiana. I was one of them. I was up in arms, man. I was up in arms because I sat there in front of my TV and watched that stuff for 18 hours a day. I was like. I mean, I don't want to say that it's not as big of a deal, but it was more of an urgency. You had people in flooded waters that the problem. Here's the problem with Katrina and the problem with Katrina and the problem with this is that we don't have crystal balls. Hang on a second. I know a lot of people are like, well, we should be prepared. We should be prepared. Yeah, we should. How many of you have fire extinguishers right now at your house? How many? Okay? Most of us don't. I don't either. Most of us don't. I had one, but I sprayed it all over the backyard. As for a gag? True, yeah. Okay. I did. I did. I'm not surprised. The deal is, is that, you know, we're just not prepared for a lot of things. We're not prepared. I saw during Katrina, like, Harry Connick Jr.
a musician, actor, got in his car and was like, I'm going to take everything I can and go down to these people and individually hand it out. You know what's great about Harry Connick Jr. and you know what's great about Brad Pitt, who I also saw down there doing it, and Sean Penn? Those guys get to make multi-million dollar motion pictures where in between multi-million dollar motion pictures, they get a lot of downtime. Some of us work at Vons. No, I'm not talking about the people that work at Vons, though. That's what I'm saying, though. When you see them down there and they're doing something about it and they're actually doing something like... Most of us are working class stiffs, man. We can't just go down to Louisiana and get in a boat and start doing stuff like they did during Katrina. But my point is, I don't really blame our president and go, I'm sure our president's trying. I think Obama's trying. I'm sure he's spending time on the phone with people going, get this thing plugged up, will you? Again, the big problem is not with Obama. It's not with our government. Freaking BP, dude. British Petroleum. Thank you. That's the people that you should be having the crosshairs right now. They're the ones that are gnarly. But they've had how many days now? Over a month to fix it, and they haven't. So something else needs to be done. No contingency plan. My guess is Obama probably has a lot of conversations that sound like this. Why can't they plug that hole? What are they doing? That's what she said. Okay, I understand that's a funny joke.
I don't understand why they can't plug it. I don't either. I don't get it. It's a good one. There's a big difference, though, between Katrina and this. Katrina, they needed support. They needed food. They needed water. They needed evacuation. This, there's just no quick fix. Right. I mean, they're trying everything. There wasn't a quick fix to Katrina either. But they can't fly in supplies. But there is urgency and a sense of immediacy. I hate to say it, dude, but. You're also dealing with human life and some aquatic stuff. Well, it will be human life eventually, but it's not the sense of immediacy that you had. The sense of humans sitting there going, I haven't had a water in four days. I'm standing on top of my roof. Can someone pick me up? Save me. I think that this might have an effect on us quicker than we think. Later, but later. I'm talking weeks, maybe weeks from now. Katrina was like, hey, dude, I have no food. I'm on my roof. Yeah, there's dead bodies in the street. Can someone help us? I sailed here on my door. Yeah. With my family. Yeah. I've lost my kid, my dog, my whatever. Like, those people were in. Dude, that was bad. Now, honestly, I don't think that the president and the people that were in charge were like, I see that. I really don't care. I don't think that that's what people were doing. And I think that what they were doing was they were going, how are we going to actually mobilize and get stuff to where people need it? Like, what are we actually going to do? Just like right now, the thing that freaks me out is,
You see that oil in the ocean going. And you're like, oh, my gosh, that stuff's going. We can't catch it. I don't get it. I really I cannot comprehend why it cannot be plugged up. I have it because a mile down. No, but you would think, OK, like there has to be if you're going to drill, you have to realize that there's also a way to if you're going to start it, there has to be a way to stop it. You know, you can't just go all willy-nilly and think like, well, it's just going to shoot up and we're going to do... If you can drill a mile down, you should be able to stop a mile down, you know? I don't know. Can't you like... I'm an idea. No, I'll make it worse. Like a vacuum has a reverse thing on it. Can't they just reverse the drill? Put it back? There's no drill. It's a hole. It's a hole. Well, I know. I'm just saying, though. Like, reverse whatever you took out. Put it back in. Why don't we build like a big cork? Yeah, giant cork. Don't worry. Stick the big old cork in there. Something... No, my actual idea was, what if they used explosives? To make the hole bigger? You think we could listen to the radio or something? Radio? Radio? He needs a radio. Ready, Harry? Mark! Yeah! In! Yeah! Bird! Yeah! Yeah!
Mockingbird, don't everybody have you heard? She's gonna buy me a Mockingbird. And if that Mockingbird don't sing, she's gonna buy me a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring don't change. Look, there's some people who want to ride too. Pick them up. Pick them up. Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Duck Theater. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Have you heard? She's gonna buy me a mockingbird. If that mockingbird don't sing.
She's going to buy me the diamond ring. If that diamond ring goes down. Hey, Lloyd, look. There's some people over there that want to ride, too. Well done. Thank you. Very well done. I've never been more nervous for anything in my life. Really? That's fantastic. It was good. C. Bird. C. That's what they do in the next scene. It's funny. I love it. Good. Do you have it on video? I don't know. Probably...
Saturday, Sunday? Yeah, your boys are coming, right? Man, I'm so excited, too. My best friends are coming in from Dallas. I used to work with these young bucks, 26 and 27. Just the greatest guys in the world, like my little brothers. So they're going to be in staying with me. Stay clear of the rocky areas. No more of that. On the beach? Yeah, for sure. You know what I'm saying? If I say it's safe to suck this beach, Captain, it's safe to suck this beach! It's safe. Don't worry. Yeah, so I'm thinking maybe, I don't know. I talked to Wander yesterday. He's talking about putting something together. Maybe Sunday, everybody go out, a little surf. Nice. Hang out. I'm in. They're going to, oh, really. Todd got a wetsuit. I know he did. He's totally, he wants to go. Yeah. Nice. Does he not surf? No, he's never done it. There you go. Pennsylvania boy. There you go. If I say it's safe to surf this beach, Captain, it's safe to surf this beach. Charlie don't surf, pal. That's right, buddy. Let's see. Did you know that President Obama commented on the Suns wearing their different jerseys? Did you know Phoenix Suns were wearing different jerseys? You told me. They were wearing jerseys that instead of saying Suns said Los Suns. It means the Suns. Mike didn't know. FYI, Mike. Yeah, you had to tell me. It shouldn't have been like Los Soles or something like that. But here's President Obama commenting on Los Suns.
What he thought about it. Just because somebody is a sports figure or you've got a sports team doesn't mean that you're not part of the community and you're not part of our democracy. I think it's terrific that the sons, who obviously feel very strongly about their community, recognize that a big part of their community felt threatened by this new law. That's right. That was deep. He said that, by the way, standing in the Gulf of Mexico, taking a look at everything to make a comment about it. Stop it. I definitely see what's going on. Stop it right now. I'll get something done now. Okay. Big gulps, huh? See you later. He doesn't know what that means. He will. Art Linkletter died, 97 years old. Poor guy died. That's a long life. He's 97. That's a long life. I know the name. I have no idea. Here, look at his face. Jay and him graduated together. Yeah, Uncle Jay and him went to high school. We came in wagons over together. That's right. Watching Old Yeller. That's right. Do you remember hearing something called... They were in the same company in the Civil War. It's the 103rd. There was no Airborne, but they were in the 103rd. Yeah, they were in wagons and infantry. They wore brass outfits. With muskets. With muskets, yeah. She has a musket wound. And a bayonet. Yeah.
Jay said, hey, you know what? I've still got an arrow from one of the engines that shot me. I can show it to you later if you want. Keep it racked in a Civil War flag from the Confederacy. It's great. Poor Jay. Oh, come on now. You guys want your letters from the Pony Express? That's good. So what was the deal? How did he die, Sienna? He was on the shows People Are Funny and House Party, and he died in his home in Bel Air in L.A. on Wednesday. 97 years old, though. 97, yeah. What's the deal with Starbucks? What are they doing? How are they stirring up the coffee market? Well, they're ready to step it up a notch because Folgers is the number one coffee that people buy for their house. Really? Yes. Yeah, that's true. That's what my parents have. My parents have the big Costco. red plastic Folgers deal. My dad, dad, I love you. My dad makes the worst coffee I've ever had. My dad's coffee is the weakest coffee and he'll come over and if we, if we make coffee, my dad's like, it's like the strongest thing he's ever had. And he won't have Starbucks because he thinks it's too strong. My dad's, my dad basically makes hot boiling water.
With the slightest hint of coffee flavor. This is the worst. I can't drink this. I would rather have too strong a coffee any day. Absolutely. You can juice it up. Because you can't make weak coffee stronger. You can take strong coffee and just pour out half. Folgers is the largest producer of retail packaged coffee in the U.S., so Starbucks wants to step it up because Maxwell House is also doing really well. They're with Kraft Foods brands, so people know those names. You're not going to teach older people. how to enjoy Starbucks. They've already made their decision in their head. Well, an AC Nielsen panel just recently found out that more than 11% of American households purchase the flavored coffee. You know, who doesn't like a little vanilla coffee? Of course. I do. Of course. Starbucks is... I do. I do, obviously. But I actually have a Peruvian guy living at the house and grows little Arabica beans. Juan Valdez. Juan Valdez has been renting a room from us. He's a family friend. He's a family friend.
You guys don't have one of those? No. Well, starting next month in June, Starbucks is going to enter Starbucks Natural Fusions, which is like vanilla, caramel, and cinnamon flavored coffees that are going to be at grocery stores. Sold. I'm all in. I'm in, too. Let's see. I'm going to miss LOB tomorrow. No. That's weird. I don't want to get on the plane. Maybe you just leave your cell phone on the whole time. We just chit-chat with you. It's going to be weird when you wake up tomorrow and you're not coming in. Yeah, it would be weird waking up in my high school bedroom. They're going to listen to us online. I wonder what's going on in there before. Yeah, hello. My Beatles poster's still hanging up. Weird. Is that what they call it? It was Justin Timberlake, don't lie. Yeah, it is. Let's see. Hillary, what do you got coming up? Hillary's in the studio. What do you got going on? I had Slayer posters in my room. Did you really? I really did. Did your parents ever give you any grief of the stuff that you had in your room? I think they had already just kind of thrown up their hands and said, My mom and dad. Good luck with that. My parents did not understand Led Zeppelin. Mine neither. Didn't get it. My parents totally got Slayer. Yeah, Slayer must have been. Did you blast Slayer records? Blasted.
I had a Jeep with a hard top, so when the top was off, I would pull onto our little suburban street with, like, south of heaven on 11 in my car. Yeah, parents loved that. Oh, yeah. You would have had the most giant crush. How much? I'm 34. How old are you? I'll be 37 tomorrow. Okay, so she would have been... Happy birthday! Her birthdays are really close. Sunday? Monday. I'm so glad you said something, Woods, because Hillary probably never told us. So I would have been a freshman when you were like a junior or senior. I would have been the dork. Oh, yeah. In the front yard with my little brother playing home run derby. And Hillary would have dragged by. Would have ignored you. Never pay any attention. Blasting a Marlboro Red. And she would have been that girl. I would have been like. Oh, Brent. I would have been like, Brent, Brent, Brent. Here she comes. Here she comes. Try to look cool. Dude, just get away from me, man. Try to look cool, man. Look older. Try to look older. She would never pay attention to you. And back in that day, she would have been the girl with like the first cell phone, which would be as big as a bread box. She'd be on her cell phone, right? It'd be as big as a bread box. Big white thing with a big white antenna out of it. You'd be like, whoa, she's got a cellular telephone, bro. Dude, I bet she's just sitting there in my room going.
I wonder what Hillary's doing tonight. I bet she's going to some badass concert or party. I'll be here playing RBI baseball on my Nintendo. Creating little teams. That's so awesome. That is so awesome. That's true. You'd go over to the house. I think I lost my baseball in your backyard. Is it okay if I go look for it? Can you help me look for it? So great. The lovely and talented Hillary is up next. New Arcade Fire. How is it? I haven't even heard it yet. I'm going to play it. Can I say one last thing? Yeah. Because I'm really excited about it. Yeah. The new Sex and the City movie is out today. Out today. It came out at midnight last night. It's a long weekend for Memorial Day, so it's out. That's where Mike and I are going right now. I bet it is. I bet it is. So go check it out. Sex and the City 2. All right. We will reconvene tomorrow morning. Some of us? Yeah. Oh, bye, guys. Bye, L.O.B. We love you. We'll see you next week. Mikey shows out. Got a Lincoln Financial radio station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
