Got any ideas on how to stop the oil leak? BP CEO and President Obama sure don’t. Avatar blue alien master, James Cameron, is going to offer up his expertise. Al Gore divorces his rock lyric hating wife Tipper. Tipper will take on her maiden name once again which is Rover (rimshot). Get it folks? Tipper Rover? BTW these are MY cheesy jokes, not the Mikey Show’s. Mike remembers his roaring 20’s, and then his song picks for the day start out on a very manly note. Up next is the Florida 911 call of Hoyle concerned about his mama stealing all his beer. Young Mikey has a nose for peanuts, literally. Sienna, Jay and Woods contribute some good stories to crazy things kids do to end up at the hospital. Stingray talk skeeves out Woodsy and Mike. Jay’s daughter has him laying down the law on her 22nd birthday leads to a big discussion about older teenagers living with parents and those darn moms who can’t sleep until everyone is home. “Wednesgay” continues as Woods drops a new term for Mikey’s music picks. Larry King interviews Lady Ga Ga who skeeves Mikey out. What makes an icon an icon? An email about a lazy wife whose unemployed and lovin’ it garners a big discussion on how to find a job without being an internet cliché. Jay has the ultimate solution. Garrett settles a bet between him and The Kid. Eskimo Bluewaters struts in wearing her denim dress and tells about making out with the tour bus driver for Blue Oyster Cult! Eskimo debuts her puppet dummy because “ventriloquism is rad”. Lawn watering rules rule out The Kid. If you are lucky enough to slow dance with LOB you better dip her! Mikey had to school a rude lady who was yelling into her phone at “Statler Brothers”. Teenagers are depressed and it carries over to their service skills. Sienna reports on the worst milkshakes for your health, the root beer debate is hysterical. Obese Mikey visits McDonalds for some 36 apple pies. Woodsy sticks his B.O. armpits in the girls’ faces. Mix Master Woods, king of the mix tapes. Jake is primed for Yo Gabba Gabba. Charlie Sheen is going to share a jail cell with two and a half men. Need help on being a good father? Buy A.C. Slater’s new book on parenting.

ABCT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Anyone who has violated the law, we will prosecute anyone who has violated the law. There are a wide range of possible violations under these statutes, and we will closely examine the actions of those involved in this bill. If we find evidence of illegal behavior... We will be extremely forceful in our response. We've already mounted the largest cleanup effort in the nation's history and continue to monitor, minute to minute, the efforts to halt or capture the flow of oil from the wrecked BP well. Until the well is stopped, we'll multiply our efforts to meet the growing threat and to address the widespread and unbelievably painful losses experienced by the people along the Gulf Coast. It's being threatened.
What's being lost isn't just the source of income, but a way of life. Not just fishable waters, but a national treasure. Obligation to investigate what went wrong and to determine what reforms are needed so that we never have to experience a crisis like this again. If the laws on our books are insufficient to prevent such a spill, the laws must change. If oversight was inadequate to enforce these laws, oversight has to be reformed. If our laws were broken, leading to this death and destruction, my solemn pledge is that we will bring those responsible to justice on behalf of the victims of this catastrophe and the people of the Gulf region. Tony Hayward is the CEO of BP Oil. Sorry for the massive disruption it's caused to their lives. And, you know, weird. There's no one who wants this thing over more than I do. You know, I'd like my life back. The problem is...
is that according to the U.S. government yesterday in the Attorney General's office, a criminal investigation is being opened against BP, which means that it's going to be a while before he gets exactly what he wants, which is to have his life back. I mean, for a lot of people, first of all, lives lost the first day that it all happened. And we were all talking about it this morning in here about how heavy this thing is with BP. And just the fact that there was... Something criminal that went on. I mean, we all knew something negligent had happened. But the fact that something criminal happened, man, that's totally different and super heavy. Whole nother ballgame. Yeah. And so what do we know right now, Sienna? Well, the Attorney General Eric Holder announced criminal and civil investigations yesterday of the entire BP leak. Stock, BP stock, did you hear? Plummeted yesterday. Plummeted because we got word that their top kill effort.
failed. So 15% lost of the stock's value. It's unreal. Dow Jones Industrial Average took a tumble. I mean, just nuts. And yesterday BP was trying out their latest attempt to stop the leak called the Cut and Cap. Basically what this is, is they're using robotic submarines to cut the damaged well's broken riser pipe so a cap can be positioned over the well's opening. Now that's the latest of what's going on and you heard the audio. That's it. Criminal investigation, so. Welcome to the Mikey Show. You can call, by the way, if you want to. 570-1949 or you can text us 949mikey at gmail.com and you can react to what you just heard and you can talk about it. And by the way, you know, if you have any ideas on how to cap this well, we'd love to hear from you as well. I hate that he said, I just want my life back. Right. It's like. How about the 11 people that died? 11 people that lost their lives. Their families. The thousands of, hundreds of thousands of people that are going to be affected. Absolutely. I think he did that, though, just to show, like, look, we are trying everything we can. Like, I don't think about anything else, you know? Yeah. Well, I like the first part of his sentence. If anybody wants this, you know, taken care of, it's no one more than me. But, yeah. Well, listen. I mean, I think at this point, people want to know.
What happened? What went wrong? And who was in charge of what went wrong? And I think there's probably a lot of people. I mean, obviously, he's the CEO, so he's taken the most flack for it. But there was probably a chain of people that knew and disregarded information that would have saved lives and would have saved the ocean from what's happening to it right now. Five people on The Mikey Show, myself, Woodsy. Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. There are five people on The Mikey Show. We all range in age from 40 to 25. 46? 46 to 25. Mike's putting himself as the oldest now that you just had a birthday. For a second, I thought I was the oldest. Nope. I'm not. But you can call us and weigh in on it and tell us what you think. I mean, of all of the trippy... things that we're hearing about this, plugging up this oil leak. James Cameron may be consulting. No. Greatest. Now, we know James Cameron, director of Titanic Avatar.
Well, he was one of the quote unquote 20 experts who met with federal officials yesterday to help brainstorm ideas for stopping the oil well leak. Right. Apparently, he's considered an expert on underwater filming and remote vehicle technologies. So, you know, James Cameron sitting at the table with a bunch of scientists, engineers, technical experts. How about Aquaman? How about Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck? Sure. All that crew. Yeah. Armageddon crew. How awesome yet sad would it be if James Cameron was the one that came up with the fix? How great would that be? Amazing. Yeah. How about Johnny Quest? Can we get him on the phone? I don't know who that is. Maybe ask Johnny Quest. How about Johnny Depp? Johnny Depp. How about the Snorks? Yeah. Brad Pitt, he's really good at helping. Yeah. He is a helper. At this point, whatever. We'll take whatever. Are your headphones messed up, Wizzy? Not my headphones. What is? I can't hear. I can't hear. What do you mean? So when you turn your headphones up, you can't hear anything? I can't hear myself talk. Really? Yeah. I want to see what that sounds like. We've got Jeremy on it. I'll diagnose you right now. I'll come around. All right. We have new. Minor cranks. Little adjustments to our headphones and microphones and stuff, so we have to get used to them. Look at the kid in Big Brad's chair. Yep. This would definitely annoy me. Is that driving you nuts? Is it? Yeah.
Let's see. Why don't you turn them up? What happens when you turn them up? Well, then listen to me talk. Doesn't that hurt your ears? And Sienna, too. You talk. Yeah, because we're louder, but we hear ourselves quieter. This is really weird right here. There's five people on the Mikey show. Does it sound different over there, Wes? It sounds way different. It looks different. It's creepy. It's weird to see the captain chair. You know what I like about it? What? It reminds me of those very first days. Before we were on the air, we would come into this room and we would do these dry run-throughs, almost like test-launching missiles. We would come in here and we would do these clandestine meetings when no one knew that we were doing it. And we would try stuff out on the air. We did it for a few days. In fact, we had so much good material that we did during the practice runs that when we started doing the regular show, we were like... Did we talk about this already? Yeah. We couldn't even remember. We ripped through like four hours like that. When I looked up, I was like, wow, that was pretty easy. Yeah. I wanted to keep going. I did too. It was fun. 5701949 is the number, and you can text us as well. I'm picking the music today, so get ready for some doosies. Weirdness. Yeah, I love it. There's a lot of pop. Super. A lot of pop involved today. We need some pop today. That's right. We do. Hear about Al Gore.
I just heard about this this morning. I guess it happened yesterday, right? And made news yesterday. Big announcement. Al and Tipper Gore separating after 40 years of marriage. I know. I mean, they survived a near death of a child. You know, him losing the presidential election. And they met in high school. They were former high school sweethearts. I mean, you would think after 40 years, you just rally through it, right? What happened? What they did was they sent out an email to close friends yesterday. It's very, very personal. An email. Yeah. Two of their close friends, and they said, after a great deal of thought and discussion, we've decided to separate. This is very much a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together. That's about 39 years too late, Al. Oh, stop. Absolutely. What do you mean? She's a troll. Oh! PMRC, dude. Free of a speech. PMRC. Yeah, you got it. Yeah. Listen, that's what you think. You can say it. You're not a fan? No, I'm not a fan at all. Yeah, well, here's the thing, man. I think it's an impersonal way to tell people that you're getting a divorce and everything, but as you said it, I was thinking through it, and I'm like, what do you do if you have 355 friends? I don't know. Do you call them each? If you're Al Gore, you have a lot more than that, probably. I don't think it was weird. Like on Facebook, you mean?
Did you do a Facebook blast? I know what you do. You just change your relationship status. Al Gore is single. Al Gore is now single and it's complicated. And then Bill Clinton writes the next thing and he goes, what happened? Barack, hey, so sorry to hear this. George Bush. Well, Al Gore is 62 years old now. I can't imagine. I mean, 62 is not old now. They made it through thick and thin. But, like, to then, after all of that, be alone? Like, that would be hard. He'll land himself something real nice. A hundred. He'll land himself something a third of his age. I'm sure he will, yeah. She gets lots of cats. She gets a lot of cats. He gets a lot of 22-year-olds. Yep. Do like older men. Boy, I do not like Tipper Gore, man. I don't know her. I just didn't like what she stood for. Right, right, right. She was big on the censorship. PMRC, man. Freaking, the parents. Can you explain what that means? You keep saying it. PMRC is the something, something, something, something. Oh. And what it is, is she was the one that came up. She wanted to censor music. Remember that? She did all these big. I don't know that. Okay, well, and Woodsy, you'll, you know, attack me if I'm wrong, but. Or I'll just debate with you. Did she.
I thought all she did was put on record covers that it was explicit language. That was the caveat. Originally, she wanted to, I mean, wipe it out. And she settled for the label. That's her? Yeah, that was all her. She spearheaded that whole thing. Which, I believe, sold a lot more records. Absolutely. You see that little black label on there? I know when I was in seventh grade and GNR, Appetite for Destruction, was out, I go, hmm. It's got that little black thing on it. I think I want it. Yeah. You know? And when John Denver comes to Congress. It's like saying it had more sugar in it. Well, exactly. Kids were like, oh, it tastes better. I'll take it. But when John Denver comes to Congress to speak against you when you're Tipper Gore, it's hard to make a case. It was brilliant, man. If you ever watched those hearings. John Denver made good arguments against Tipper Gore. Amazing. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I don't know anything about this. You don't remember any of this? You're a little young. She would have been a kid. Yeah. Yeah. I was a kid, but I was really into it. Do you remember anything that John Denver said? No, but it was basically talking about freedom of speech and, I mean, what this country was basically built on and the rights in our Constitution. And he's like, yeah, you can't do this. I mean, this is censorship.
A lot of people would be critical of him making the argument in overalls, but I say, you know what? You know what? There's a piece of straw hanging out. There's a piece of straw hanging out of his mouth. And he said, thank God I'm a good boy. That's right. Thank God I'm a good boy. But when they brought him in front of that, because it had been Dee Snider from Twisted Sister. Oh, come on. Oh, yeah. It had been like Ted. That seems so goofy. It had Ted Nugent, and then out of nowhere, the ace in the hole, John Denver, Mr. Squeaky Klingholz, was like, you're out of your mind, lady. And it was just like, oh. Really? It was awesome. I think it would be. And I haven't seen it. You haven't? No, I mean, I'm sure I saw clips on the news when it was happening. But I just, I don't know how serious I would take the lead singer of Twisted Sister giving the we're not going to take it routine. Unless he was really, you know, if people become angry and they have long hair and stuff, congressmen, I'm sure, are like rolling their eyes. You should have heard his arguments.
I'll show you a clip sometime. Blow your mind. Was he angry or was he? No, he's super intelligent, composed, and makes brilliant points. And you sit there watching and go, yeah, you're Dee Snider from Twisted. Was C.C. DeVille there? No, C.C. was not there. I have some arguments to make. Maybe keep those to yourself, C.C. Maybe I tell the world. I knew it. But, Tipper, censor everything, right? Yeah. Yeah, I think it helped sell more records. I think it did, too. Mission accomplished. Tip. Yeah. Tip. So there's the deal. Big deal today is BP and a criminal investigation into what they did. And Al Gore getting a divorce from Tipper Gore. Navy. I agree with Sienna. I think that at that age, it's just strange. You know, you're like weird when that happens. Don't you kind of want somebody to, you know.
settle down with the rest of your life. But like she said, 62 is like the new 52. Yeah, but the thing that sucks is it's like for him, not for her. Yeah. You know, like he's set and not just because he's more famous or whatever, but just because guys just can do that. Well, guys get... Double standard. Well, it is because... But it's true though. Totally. Let me tell you, I think that I'm in a better shape now. Than I was when I was in my 20s as a guy, you know. I'm not. You're not? No. No, that's true. He's like, yeah, I agree. I remember those days. No, no, no. What I'm saying is that you will always lament. Your 20s and how great it was and how great the 20s were, where for me it was totally opposite. My 20s were amazing. Guys reminisce like that on the 20s way more than girls do. Dude. I think girls are more comfortable in their 30s. Yes. That's when you hit your prime. Yeah. That's when you hit your prime. Oh, I can't wait. It won't be long now, LLB. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So awesome. Well, give us a call if you want. 570-1949.
If you want to talk about any of this stuff. Sienna. was telling me that the details have emerged in Gary Coleman's death, so they now know some stuff, right? Well, just some more specifics, basically, because we knew that he had fallen, right? Right. That's what his brother-in-law said. And now, some more details. I guess he was at an intense four-hour dialysis session right before that to treat his kidney disease. Right. And whenever he does those, he comes back really groggy and tired, and he's just out of it. He lost his strength and then he fell, slipped to his head, got a one inch gash, went to the hospital and then we know the rest. But we didn't know why he fell or anything like that. And now that's that's what we know. And also his funeral, his big memorial is going to be this weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah. The family has not decided whether it's going to be a private service or public. But that's going to be happening on Saturday. My oldest brother, Mark, has diabetes. He has this deal. Looks like a pager.
and sits on his belt loop, and it's got insulin in it, and it actually has a small, tiny little wire, and that little wire goes surgically into his stomach and gives him insulin automatically. What happens when he showers? He just unattaches it. It's so incredible. He just unattaches it. It's always there, and then when he gets out of the shower, dries up, he just plugs it back in. Wow. And he still likes to take his blood sugar readings the old-fashioned way. The needle. Yeah, with a little nick in the finger. My grandma does that. And I said to him, I go, dude, they have new things now that I've seen on TV that are painless and whatever. And he says, I'm used to this. I go, you don't mind stabbing yourself in the thumb every day? Doesn't hurt him at all. Doesn't hurt him. Yeah. No. Like calloused. Yeah. I grew up with two grandparents that had diabetes, so that thing was always laying around the house. It always skeeved me out. Skeeved, right? I used to give my grandmother shots. Did you? Yeah, she would let me. Really? I would, like, pinch her little skin. Were you good at it? I was a professional. Of course. At the age of eight. Of course you were. That's awesome. 570-1949. This is M1 Michael from La Jolla. Michael, can you tell people what a M1 is? Yeah, an M1 that listens.
Someone that listens freaking every morning from Sam to Sam. Yep. I love it. Somebody that totally relates to what you guys are talking about. Yep. When they call in, they turn their radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. That's right. Yeah. Know the rules. Know the rules. And they're usually brilliant, awesome people. That's right. There's no question. That's the truth right there. 100%. You're a brilliant, awesome person. Michael, what were you calling about? You know, you had a sharing about how guys, usually lament about their 20s. And for me, like, even though I had a lot of energy and stuff like that, when I was in my 20s, I'm 42 now. My 20s are pretty painful because I had no money. I had no career. I felt totally lost. I was, you know, chasing women for the wrong reasons. I could never have a relationship last longer than, like, three months. Oh, yeah. And now I'm like, you know, not saying that I'm done. I've got it all figured out, but I feel much more, like, confident. I've got money. I've got my career.
I've got, I'm married with two kids. That's kind of where I am. You know, I've gotten my professional life together a little bit better and all that kind of stuff. But me and you, Michael, we may share the same thing in common is that, you know, I'm not very handsome. Woodsy is. And so, you know, Woodsy had a different experience. Well, the old saying is everybody always says it. If I knew then what I know now would have been a whole different story. And you don't, but you. I mean, my 20s were amazing. I was in college. I lived in Chicago. I was a bartender. I had phenomenal friends. We had a blast every day. Of my 20s, I literally think I was like. But you couldn't keep up with it. I think we all go through those stages for different reasons. You know, it's like if you didn't go through your 20s, it wouldn't seem like your life is so together now. It wouldn't seem like. You know what my favorite stage was in my 20s? Morbidly obese with a mullet. With a mullet. Yeah, morbidly obese with a mullet. Yeah, rolled up sleeves. Trying to just stay awake.
in the back of a party, wherever there's a party going on, and you can find me over by the cheese and cracker tray. But don't you look back on that now and think like, man, I'm so glad I'm not that guy. I'm so glad I'm where I am. Yeah, for sure. Michael can relate too. Yeah, plus as a man, when you're in your 20s, when you hit about 25, after you've been partying and driving a car you couldn't afford and chasing chicks and everything, you wake up and realize, man, I've got nothing. I got like a bag of clothes. That's it. Hey, Michael, thank you, man. I appreciate the phone call. We'll take your calls. 570-1949. Do you ever hear girls, though, say, oh, man, when I was back in high school when I was a cheerleader or whatever? No way! I think girls would never say that. totally know of women that talk about, they will talk about their high school days as if they were two days ago. What? Oh, yeah. They'll say, oh, yeah, you know, when I was a cheerleader, I remember that I used to have to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and da, da, da, da, and you hear about them being cheerleaders a lot. Are you guys all, are anybody in here still friends besides you because you graduated like six weeks ago in high school, Sienna? LJ. Any of you guys still friends with your high school friends?
Barely. I still know them, and they're on my Facebook, and we'll say hi every once in a while. But we don't call and hang out and all that kind of stuff. Those are my boys still. I've got my different groups. And when I go home, my high school guys that we graduated high school together. That's the first calls I make. That's how Todd is. That's the coolest thing to me. Yeah, I wish I had that. It is so cool. I go home. We have that golf tournament in September. Yeah. And I'm like, I can't wait to get home and hang with everybody. We were talking to a friend of ours who said that she has been friends with her girlfriends since they were weeks old. That's amazing. I have lots of those. I'm so jealous of that. Really? I've just moved. on to new groups of friends, and I didn't particularly like high schools. I didn't either. So I associate all those people with high school. I liked facets of it, but I always was like, I can't wait to get out and see more. I had a strange high school in that I was a pretty popular kid, but I didn't like the experience at all. Yeah, I agree. I liked college a lot more. Me too. That's why I stayed in there for six or seven years. I hated college. I loved college, man. Let's see.
We have for you, sorry, we're kind of doing a lot of things on the fly this morning. Today may be an example. You know when you sleep too much? Yes. Lucky. And you wake up and you feel tired? Mm-hmm. Today we may have too much stuff. We have so much preparation today and so much material. So we have too much. So I was like, wait, what do I go to now? Do I go to this? Do I go to this? The producer from Survivor has been charged in the death. of his now ex-wife, deceased. Yeah. He's been charged. Monica, yep. He was charged yesterday with killing his wife. He's not pleading guilty or anything like that, but...
We kind of talked about this a little bit yesterday in case you hadn't heard about this case. His name is Bruce Beresford Redmond. He's charged for killing his wife in Cancun. Last April, they were having some marital problems and her body was found in a sewer near the resort where they were staying on vacation. Yeah. And right before that, she had cleaned out their bank account, said she was going to leave him because he was having an affair. So the whole thing is just really weird. She was found with bruises on her neck. suspects strangulation is how she died. But he's been charged and he's saying he's not guilty. His attorney says, nope, he's not guilty. And he said in the past he would fight the producer's extradition to Mexico if he is charged. I'm picking the music today. Oh, wow. Really? Wow. Wow. I'm going a little old school with some stuff. You know what this is. closed and rolled his eyes. I remember this little video. I love this video. The little boy. That's almost verbatim what my wife said yesterday when I told her I was going to play this. And the only part of it that I remember the most is this. Was he like at a camp in the video or something like that? He was like with a swing and he was all cute. So Woodsy's going to address LeBron James and this.
Comment next. There's a story circulating today. I don't know if it's true, so I wrote it down just to make sure. You can tell me that you're going to get together, you, with Bosh and Wade and Stoudemire and Lee and Johnson and Allen and Nowitzki and all of you sort of, it's just funny. You're like a little committee. Yeah. A little free agent committee. Free agent committee. No one can stop you. You're all free agents. Lee can't tell you not to do this. What if you go there and I go here and we go here? Is that possible? I don't know to that extent, but it will be fun. It will be fun to get all the free agents together and figure out a way how we can make the league better. So are they all getting together and sort of planning this thing? It's speculation at this point, I think, but that's certainly a pretty cool dinner, don't you think? Yeah. Wouldn't that be awesome? For sure. And Woodsy says he's got another preview clip of that interview that's going to be happening to tell you when it's going to happen, too, with Larry King. Next.

Camp Pendleton, southbound side on the 5 northbound before Oceanside Harbor Drive, an accident. Non-injury. It is a hit and run, though. Also, the 76 westbound after the 15, we still have an accident over on the right shoulder. Things starting to back up in the area. And things have been cleared up in Escondido on the 15 southbound Mission Avenue. We had that car in the center divider blocking the number one lane. They just moved that. So I imagine just a little residual slowing in the area. This report also brought to you by SeaWorld. Discover Blue Horizons, an all-new SeaWorld spectacular where dolphins, whales, performers. It's a very simple formula for me. If I can sing along to it, I'm good. Woodsy says, that's fine. That's not my formula. It's a felty song. I love this song. This song is like a guilty pleasure for me. It's just a regular pleasure for me. Filthy song. It kind of is. Yeah, it's regular two-life crew. Well, it's just, you know. It's dirty. See the video, mate? No. Oh, you'd like it. Not.
It's about a guy that wants to kill this other guy because he's sleeping with his wife. I don't even pay attention to this. I don't either. I don't really either. I'm like, oh, I thought it was just like a wake-up call. I was just thinking, how fun would it be to wake up to this? Oh, really? But I don't like that he says six foot tall. I think he should be bigger than that. Than six feet tall, the guy that she was cheating with? He's supposed to be, like, super intimidating because he's six feet tall. And not that that's not tall. Oh, I thought that he's saying that the dude she's cheating with was six feet tall. Yeah, but he's like, he came without a warning, so I had to shoot him because I was like, whoa, this guy's, like, scared me. Gotcha. Never thought that far into the song. I can honestly say that. That's my brother. My brother doesn't think at all into the song, doesn't listen to the words at all. My wife is completely the opposite. She's like a stenographer, takes down every word of the song, analyzes it, sees what she thinks about it, puts herself in the same situation, the whole deal. All me. I'm a lyricist. Are you? Let's save that clip. Yeah. I'm a lyricist. I like that. Talking to my mom yesterday, and...
She was reminiscing over a story that is something that I did when I was five years old that was pretty embarrassing that I'll reveal to you on the radio in just a moment. How do you follow up a night where you scored 18 runs? Yeah. It ain't easy. You come out the next day. You're a little cold. They always say in baseball, the old saying is, hey, don't use them all up today because you always got tomorrow. So what do you play baseball? Yes. Have you ever been in that situation where you just... A ton. Yeah? A ton. And then you're like, you get back to the field the next week, you're like, dang, we scored 20 runs last week. You get up there and you couldn't hit water if you fell out of a boat, man. It's the worst. I like that. That kind of happened in the pods last night. They could only manage two runs off the Mets. They had a little rally going in the ninth off of Frankie Rodriguez, who's this amazing closer that the Mets have.
Filthy stuff. And Jerry Harrison, you know, he's been a hero the last few days. He hit the Grand Slam yesterday. Well, he struck out three times last night. He couldn't get it done in the ninth. So they dropped the game to the Mets 4-2, which was rough, but there's still a game up in first place. And I'll tell you what, today's the day. 3 p.m., day game, home game. Johan Santana throwing against you. You got to get out. I am. This close to going. Yeah, man. I'm really trying to work out my schedule and see if I can make it for a few innings. Johan is pitching. He's one of those guys that, like Woodsy was talking about the other day, you want your kid to go out there and see this guy pitch so that one day he can go, my dad took me to see Johan Santana pitch. That's exactly right. Exactly right. Also, the clock is now officially ticking on LeBron James. So we're going to wonder. For the next probably four to six months where he's going to end up. And we played you the clip before the break about he and Larry King. They had a little interview and Larry asked him just kind of if his home team has the advantage. Cut one. You leaned it all to the place you know the best. I mean, do they have an edge going in? Well, absolutely. Because, you know, this city.
These fans, I mean, has... Yeah, translation, they don't. They don't. They give me a lot. I mean, seven years, and, you know, for me, it's comfortable. So, I got a lot of memories here, and so it does have an age. Seven years? Yep. Seven years. It makes me feel old. Oh, yeah. I remember when LeBron was coming out of high school. Yeah. The other day, L.O.B. and Woodsy and I were having a debate about LeBron James. Yep. Because Woodsy and I were like, you know how we feel about LeBron James? Not just yet. And... L.O.B. was like, are you kidding me? Guy's awesome. The phenom. The phenom. There's no doubt about him. Physically, this dude is sick. He's a freak. Yep. But he hasn't won the big one. And listen, I just posed the question. I was like, can you really mention this dude in the same breath with people like Kobe and people like Shaq and people like Jordan? Jordan? There's no way. And L.O.B. was like, I don't know.
Ability-wise? Ability-wise. Maybe. Maybe. Maybe. But once you got the hardware, man, that's where it counts. And LeBron's, they said his best chance to win it was this year in Cleveland. Yeah. Best chance to win it was this year. Couldn't get the job done, man. And they were the top dog, too. So they'll be watching and fishing and playing golf as the Lakers and the Celtics square off tomorrow night. There's a new name on the tennis horizon. I don't know if you guys are tennis fans. I like to watch big tennis matches. So I've been watching Nadal and Federer, like everybody else, for the last five years. But there's a new name that you guys need to know. His name is Robin Soderling. He's 26 years old. He's Swedish. He's great. He upset Nadal in the French, and he's now beaten Roger Federer in the French. He came pretty much kind of out of nowhere. Now he's in the top ten in the world. And he is going to... do some big things in tennis. Like I said, he's only 26 years old. He's beat both of those guys. He may be the new face. Here he is talking about his feet. Cut two. It feels great. I said before in the interview, you know, I love to play on this court and it feels great to finally win a match against Roger. Sounds like a chef in the balcony. 26, though, in tennis years. That's a little old. Isn't that like 50? Yeah, but to come in here in the French and beat Nadal and Federer is just, it's a remarkable feat. Has anybody on the show ever played tennis? Oh, yeah.
It's so much harder than it looks. Can I ask you something? Sure. How do people hit the ball with all their might and it only goes across the net? How does that happen? I don't get that. It seems like it would fly to Cleveland. Well, if you know what you're doing, you put some smoke on it. You should watch my wife play tennis. That's what I don't get. I see people go, and they hit it as hard as they can. Every time I do that, it flies like so. It goes probably over the fence. How do they do that? You keep it. The trick is keeping it straight, too. And then when it spins and it hits the other person's racket, they've got to have enough control so it doesn't go bing. It's the coolest thing. It's a lot of fun. It's not like hitting it with a baseball bat, either. If you were to hit the tennis ball with the baseball bat, it would go way farther. The tennis racket's not going to push this far. Exactly. And finally, the last story of the day for all you USC fans. Friday is going to be a big day for you. Mike. What is it? That's when you'll find out if USC is going to get in any trouble from Reggie Bush allegedly receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's weird. During his career playing with the convicts, I mean the Trojans. Sound an indictment on the Trojans. Sound an indictment on the Trojans. Sound an indictment on the Trojans. I'll be waiting with bated breath to see what happens. That's it, brother. Woods on sports. Yeah, Woodsy is a golden domer. Oh my gosh, did you hear that? Of course I did. I'm 0 for 5.
That was, that noise, I just want to point out, was Woods throwing his Woods on sports paper in the trash and missing, hitting the guitar, and the strings went, bring, bring. That was magical. Only Woodsy. Nice little treat for everybody. Only Woodsy. I had to point that out. I like that. That was not even close. I'm going to try to do that every day. Bring. Oh, gosh. Hey, before I tell you about the thing that I did when I was a kid that I don't think I've ever told on the air. Can't wait. Did you guys hear about the dude that called the cops on his mom because she took his beer? Oh, yeah. Did you guys hear about this? I didn't hear about this. Where was it, Sienna? I'll give you one guess. Alabama. Alabama. Oh, no. I thought you guys were going to say Florida. They usually all come from Florida. I was going to say Florida, yeah. Yes, a man was arrested on Friday after making several 911 calls about his mom. Yeah. This is a 32-year-old man. His name is Charles Denison. And he called the cops, said, look, I want my mom to be arrested. She's stealing my beer. If you don't come here, put my mom in handcuffs. I'm going to keep calling 911 until you do. Wow. So the officer charged this guy with making false 911 calls, took him to jail. He's still there. What was his name? Charles. I wonder if they maybe got the name wrong, and it could have been Hoyle. Oh, no.
9-1-1, what is your emergency? I'm calling to report a crime. Okay, what can I do for you, pal? There's been a theft at my residence. Okay, did somebody break in? What, mama? It's not a theft. It is a theft. For your best interest, son. I have had some beer stolen from me, from my person, and I would like to report it. What do you mean, from your person? And I'd like to press charges, meaning from... Somebody broke in and stole your beer? No. I'd be pretty pissed off, too, pal. Mama stole my beer, and she won't give it back. Your mama stole your beer? Yeah, I do need it, and yes, she did. Oh, okay. Do you live there, sir? Is that your place of residence? Yes, yes, I do. Now, did your mom drink your beer, or did she steal your beer? It's the police department, Mama. Oh, stop it with your prank. What? Did she drink your beer, or did she steal your beer? She took it. She won't give it to me. I want it.
How old are you? I'm 57 years of age. Can you live with your mom? Yes, I do. Wow. Well, is this time for political commentary? It's not really any of your business, is it? Well, not really, but I think that's pretty sad that your mama stole your beer, little guy. Really? Mama changed your diapy, too? Yes, mama changed his diapy, too. Can you just send a police officer over here, please? Absolutely not. Let me talk to your mom. Mama, he wants to talk to you. Okay. Yes, hello. How are you doing, gorgeous? I'm doing fine, young man. How are you? Hey, I got an idea. Okay. Let's take that beer. Bring it down here. We split it up. We'll whack it up between the two of us. Oh, no, sir. No, sirree. I am not drinking no devil's elixir, and neither are you, and neither is Mr. Horatio Hanratty over here. You hear me, son? Wow. You guys are insane. saying, okay, you might be a redneck if you steal your son's beer and he's 57 and he still lives with you. I know, right? Okay, you guys have a good day. Alright, you do the same, dog. Bye-bye. Maybe she doesn't realize he was calling her a redneck. She may not realize it. Maybe she thought it was the term of endearment. I think she did. I think for sure she did. When I was five, I stuck a peanut into my nose with my index finger so far that they had to take it out surgically. Thank you. Wow!
Surgically? Yeah, they had to go in there. We had to go to the military hospital because my dad was in the military. Yeah, and they had to go in there with these really long, long, skinny tweezers and retrieve it and pull it out. Do you remember it? I remember it. It was yesterday. And I just like to stick stuff in myself. You know, I just like when I was a kid. Wow. Just like to take things and put them in places and see what would happen. And I put a little peanut out of the shell. And I thought, I wonder what would happen if I stuck this into my nose. I would guess 70% of kids do the same thing. For sure. Marbles. Buttons, pennies. Maddie did it? Maddie did it. They had an arts and craft project at the preschool. And she took a piece of corn that was supposed to be glued onto the paper. You know, just a hard kernel. Yeah. She shoved it in her nose far enough. And, you know, you wouldn't think that's a big, bad deal. But apparently it took on the moisture in her nose and it started to swell. And she's like, and it was giant by the time we got to the doctor. Oh, my God. It would not come out. He couldn't get a handle on it. He's like, we may have to operate. Do you remember that phone call? Excuse me.
Mr. Isabel, hi. This is Susie from the preschool. It seems Maddie has stuck a piece of corn up her nose. They're like, oh, awesome. I wonder as kids why we want to stick stuff in our nose and our ears. I didn't do the nose and the ear. Only the mouth. I ate a lot of Play-Doh. Yeah. It was good stuff. Yeah, I ate Play-Doh. You didn't stick anything in your ears or your nose? No. Yeah? Uh-uh. Hey, I got friends. Except my fingers. I got friends, not to be too gnarly here, but I got friends that... Their kids have put stuff in their bottom. Oh, yeah. You know, they don't know any better. I have a friend that has done that, too. Yeah. Or his kid has. Yeah. They don't know any better. I'm not sure why. Maybe we want to see, well, where... Where does it go? Yeah. I think the thinking is, well, where will this go? Yeah. Where will this lead me? Kids like to push buttons. They like to put things in holes, you know, like see if, like, you know, they put, like, a CD. Woods, don't give me that look. Woods is kidding. Woods just gave a look like, how do I not say that to everything? How do I not say anything? You know, they like to put crayons in DVDs or whatever. Yeah. And so they just like to cause problems. 5701949. It's the weirdest thing that you've had to take your kid to the doctor for. Maybe it doesn't have to be that. It doesn't have to necessarily be, oh, because he...
put something in his ear or whatever maybe he just did something really weird my sister this isn't weird this was actually really scary but it turned out fine but um my we were in the kitchen when my sister waverly sister waverly she was like two and i think we were making pancakes and then the the flour, the dough, like the mix was in a bowl and Waverly was just, you know, like standing next to me, like trying to help. And I turned my back for like a second or my mom was in there too. And next thing we knew there were some pills on the counter that were my mom's that were gone. And we were like, did she eat the pills? Oh my gosh. We had to call the poison control. My mom told them what kind of pills they were. They were like, how close are you to a hospital? Get here now. Did she? She turned out she didn't eat the pill. Where were they? But we went there. She put them in the pancake mix. Oh, my gosh. Poured the whole thing of them. Yeah. She poured all the pills in the pancake mix? My mom kept them on the counter, you know, like up high. Yeah, they were Quaaludes. Oh, well. But because Waverly was standing on a chair, like pretending to cook, we thought they ate them and never. My mom was like, she's a goner. They rushed her to the hospital. You know, they, oh, it was so scary. She's like, what? Exactly. M1 Freak Show from Santee. You there?
Yeah. What are you doing? Good. Hey, I just wanted to remind you that some of us still put things in our nose and we raise money for Children's Hospital doing it. M1 Freak Show actually can stick crazy things in his nose and pull him out the other side. Freak Show, tell people a little bit about what you can do. I can hammer a 40-penny nail into my nose. It's the truth. No! No, no, no. You guys don't understand. You guys don't understand. He did it on stage, and he actually took this 40-penny nail. It looked like a railroad tie. I'm not kidding. It's so big. And I thought, because he said he could do it, and I go, first of all, I know it's not real, except that he let me hold the nail. He'll come in and do it if you want. Eat and greet. Do it. Let me tell you. So I held the nail in my hand. He puts it in his nose, takes a hammer, a hammer, and he starts to go knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock, knock. How did you learn you had this ability? That's a great question. How did you? By sticking things in my nose when I was a kid. Yep. No way. Yep. I used to put my hair in my nose to make me sneeze. That's insane. You did?
There he goes. I say we have him at the meet and greet. Yeah. No, no, no. Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely. I got $10 right now in my pocket. Sorry, I'll be going to the bathroom when that happens. Can you come to our next meet and greet? I can come to the next meet and greet. Yes. I'll shake my hand and then I'll leave. Freak Show, hang on a second. I'm going to put you on hold. And Jay, can you get his info? You know it. All right, hang on. That is filthy. One of the most spectacular things I've ever seen. It's absolutely spectacular. M1 Liz is calling from Benita. You there? Yeah. Hey, what's up? Not too much. Would you stick in your, what did you stick? Where? We actually broke my dad's TV when we were younger, my brother and I, and we stuck some pennies in there because there was a nice big crack in it. So there is about like 20 pennies in the big screen TV. Oh my gosh. Kids like to stick stuff places. Don't know why. Jenna, when she was little, Todd told me, used to put, like, the remote controls and stuff and put them in the toilet and try and flush them. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, ruined many remotes. Oh, yeah. Woodsy, did you ever get taken to the doctor for anything weird? Absolutely. Like what? I had this disease when I was a little kid. I was turning into a tree. It was the worst thing ever. Is that right? No, I had a... You guys, I've told this story in the air before. I was swimming in the pool, and I went over to get a gulp out of my Mountain Dew.
And there was a wasp in my mountain boat, and it stung me inside my mouth. Oh, my gosh. You want to talk about a freakout? Dude. How old were you? Five, six? Oh, my gosh. Was it one of us on the show that went fishing with their dad, and the fish cut them? Wasn't that you, Woods? Oh, I got gilled, too, yeah. Yes. Yeah, that's why I still can't grab a fish. Your wife has to do it. Yeah, she does. Oh, my gosh. Big man's man here. Yeah, when they go fishing, Jamie, his wife, has to take the fish off the hook. I cannot. take the fish off the hook because I was a little kid. I got gilled right here. And the webbing. The webbing of my forefinger and thumb. And I was like, yeah! Oh, it's the worst. That webbing is very sensitive. It is. I got sliced with it the other day. Oh, I hate it. M1 Jamie from San Marcos. Are you there? Yeah. I was like four years old and I had a giant bee flew up my nose. It got stuck. It got stuck? A bee? Yeah, we had to run and get tweezers, and my sister had to pull it out of my nose. Oh, my gosh. Were you able to get out of that without getting stung? No, it stung me, and I had a giant bloody nose. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. We're all grabbing our noses right now. So, Jamie, did that situation make you a little less freaked out about bees? No, I hate them. Okay. So you do an absolute freak out when you see them?
Yeah. A hundred. Who doesn't? That would scar me for life. Yeah. Well, no, dude. I mean, here's the deal. Woodsy, I guarantee that when you see a bee on your Coke can, you shoo it away and freak out. Oh, I'm a full on freak out when I see wasps and bees. Yeah. Get, get, get. Running around. Which I always tell you, that's what makes them crazy. I don't care. I'm going to fight to the death. You're just going to fight to the death. I'm not just going to sit there and be a statue bit. You're going to get stung. That's what happens. I always just let them do their thing and then they leave. Really? Yeah, I say to them, I go, get it over with and get out. You let them sting you? No, I don't let them sting me. They don't sting me because I don't... I just go, I wait. The stinging is like a defense mechanism. You wait a second and they move on. You guys just perfect? You go, hey, there's nothing to see here. That's what you tell them. Move along. Move along. Nothing to see here. The hat wave bit in the run. You know what they do? You know what they do? Yeah, that's me. That's nature's gang members. They're like, all right, we found one. Here we go. Let's mug this guy. How many times have you been stung, Woods? Like twice. Once in my mouth and then once when I was little. I've never been stung. Never. Knock on wood, man.
First of all, it doesn't even hurt that bad. Doesn't it? No. Can I sting you with my hand? I hate it. Can I show you what it feels like? I know what it feels like. I got stung once. I stepped on a bee last summer on the beach, and I actually thought my foot was going to fall off. I thought you just said it doesn't even hurt. But it was a really sensitive spot where the nerves were, and it only lasted for like... I don't know, 10 minutes. But momentarily, I was like, oh my gosh, my foot's falling off. Did you give the bee mouth to mouth to bring it back to life? No. Honeybees aren't that bad. To hurt animals. What's that, Jay? Honeybees aren't that bad, but any other, like a wasp? Yeah, a wasp. Jay, a yellow jacket. You're from Texas. You know the wasps we get in Texas? They look like birds. And they can't. See, the beauty of a bee sting is it only happens once, and then it kills itself because its body. Well, only some of them. It separates. Bumblebee. will destroy you. They can sting multiple times. A bumblebee, by the way, Jay educated me on this. A bumblebee is the big, fat, giant, like, gumball, hairy-sized bee. But a honeybee, when it stings you, pulls itself apart. It loses its whole lower half. So is it the bumblebee that dies when it stings? No, the other one. Honeybee dies. Because it's got barbs in its stinger, so when it sticks its stinger in you...
And then it pulls the stinger out. It can't pull it out, so it separates its body. Have you seen any stingrays in the ocean yet, Woods? No, shut it, dude. You need to shuffle. You need to start shuffling your feet as the water works. Shut up. What? It's getting warmer. You got to shuffle. You don't know about stingrays. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. When the water starts getting warmer, there's more and more animals that come out. Yeah. Especially stingrays. Yeah, they like to get close to shore in real shallow water. Shut up. As you're walking in, you shuffle your feet. Does it hurt if you get stung? Oh, yeah. Like, how bad? Yeah. 20 times a bee sting. Okay, you guys realize the first time I step on a stingray is the last time I'm in the ocean. No. I guarantee you. Have you ever done it? Just shuffle. I've wrapped up against their, not their barb, just the little, what do you call those little wings they have? Okay, wait. They have wings. I just left my body. Wait, wait, wait. Question. What? Does the stinger only exist on the tail? Yeah. Yeah, and there's a barb on the end of it. Okay, so the only way. It's how Steve Irwin died, right in the heart. Okay, but so the only way that it'll jack you up is if you step right on that barb.
No, they whip it. No, if you step on, yeah, and they whip it around, yeah. If you step on any part of it, then it'll get you. And they're the color, most of them that are here are the color of sand, so you can't see them, they camouflage. But if they hear you coming, then they want to, like, if you shuffle your feet, then they're like, okay, danger's coming. And you can shuffle your feet into it, and it will go away. Yeah, I was going to say, I shuffle my feet into a barb. And it will know that you're coming. But if you step on it, you scare it. If you step on it, you scare it, and it gets you with this thing. I know, dude. Shut up! The tail flips up. And doing, like, a flip into the wave, just think you might... Because here's our bit. Like, what we do is I go surf, and then Jamie puts her wetsuit on, and then we just play in the waves. No more playing. Yeah, well... You can't play. No more playing in the waves. When it gets warmer. No, you can't. Oh, yeah, that's the worst. I go body surfing. It's fine. Nope. Like, La Jolla Shores, you see them everywhere. I am scared. to death question if you shuffled your feet you will avoid this is that correct you'll be much more likely to avoid it now in australia i went to a place where they had been so like domesticated they were like the size they had like a four foot span yeah and they when you shuffled your feet they got used to the fishermen coming and dumping like their chum or whatever so they that was like pavlov's dog for them they would come
It was the scariest thing. I was like, and people were petting him and stuff. Would scale one to 10. How scared? 14. Yeah, me too. How did you guys not know about stingray? I've heard that stuff, but now that we're talking about it, I'm engaging. And now that you're in the ocean. More than you ever have been before? Yeah, sure. Just shuffle. I've had friends that, you know, it hurts. And then, you know, you get over it. You go back in. You said it's 10 times worse than a piece. I didn't say that. I said 20. It looks horrible. It swells up. Jay, have you ever gotten? I've never gotten. I've stepped on one and it missed. You can see it. Oh, you know who's going to get it. You know damn well who's going to get it. You know damn well by the end of the summer I'm going to get stung by a stingray. When I was in Mexico, one jumped up out of the water three feet up in the air. It was big, all black. white and just landed right down beside me. These ones that are here are not that big. Don't worry. They're small. First time we went surfing with Jay, our buddy Winder went out there with us and he goes, ew. And we go, what? He goes, I hate that. We go, what? He goes, I just stepped on a stingray. Yeah. He did? Yeah, he said he felt it slither away. Where was I? We were all there. That's why when you said this, I'm like, don't you remember the Winder story when Winder said he stepped on it? I wasn't there. Oh, it was so creepy. You were there. M1 Lindsey from Mira Mesa. Hello. Are you there? Yeah.
Go ahead. I stuck tweezers in a light bucket. Oh, no. No way. Wow. It was a perfect fit. No way. It is a perfect fit. How bad was it? It blew me back across the room about 20 feet, which I guess is lucky because the current can make you stick. Oh, my gosh. It still has the tweezers. They're melted and flat. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's so scary. Oh, my gosh. That is nuts. You know, we had a company come out to baby-proof our whole house. None of my family parents was, I told you so. Oh, man. You didn't get a company to do that? Oh, yeah. Sienna, we got to tell you. I'm doing it. Yeah, they come out and they, in fact. To the fortress. Did you see, Woodsy, there was a change between the last time you came over and just this last weekend. And I don't know if you noticed. Because they did a pretty good job of camouflaging it. They try to make it so that you can't see.
the ridiculousness that they actually have to do. Now I'm losing my mind. I'm like, what is it? Our coffee table, we have a big, giant, pointy... It scares me so bad. They take the tips off of them? No, no, no. They put this padding around it. It basically turns your coffee table into what looks like a pool table. Yeah. Because they put this padding all the way around. Yeah, because our kids are now like... kind of standing up and they're about to walk. Their faces are right at the level. Their faces are right there and it's a glass top coffee table and all that. So they put this padding around all that. They put padding around the, um, uh, where the fireplace is and they blend the colors so that it, so you can't tell. And then they put these, they put baby gates up all over the place. They do the whole bit. I want to hire them. Oh, they're great. It's awesome. Pool gate. And I think too. Oh yeah. They do that. They do it all. Same company does it all, Sienna. It's great. I got to get an extra parachute for the G5. Do they sell baby parachutes for the G5 jet? I need a few of those. The new home of the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Beautiful girls all over the world. How do you say the name of this artist, Sienna? B.O.B. It's B.O.B. I like this song. Obviously, I only hear it when my wife is driving. Of course.
And I don't know if it was called Bob or B-O-B. It's B period O period B period. I walked in. You guys were talking about it. I thought you were talking about the baby strollers. The Bob baby stroller. I love the Bob. I want the bugaboo. Okay. Let's see. Five people on the Mikey show. I'm Mikey. Woodsy's the guy sitting across from me disgusted by the music. L-O-B is the blonde girl sitting to my right. Her name is Lauren, but we call her L-O-B because it stands for Lauren O'Brien. She's an Irish lass. A lass. Lassie. And Sienna is the gorgeous strawberry blonde. Is that right? Yeah. Auburn. It's Auburn-ish now. It's getting dark. It's getting dark because I can't dye my hair. Yeah, you can't. No. I have always put highlights in and stuff. I used to highlight my hair, too. Then I got pregnant. Then you got preggers? Preggers. That was prego. You guys became pregnant. We became pregnant, yes. We share a uterus. We're pregnant. Yeah, he hates when people say we're pregnant. Are you a hermaphrodite? Maybe the guy should be able to.
Maybe the guy should be able to say it, too, because he has to put up with us. Yeah, no, he's like, yeah, my wife's having a baby. She's having a baby. Yeah. And Jay is the guy that is our producer in the next room. He's got red shoes on today. That's right. Does he? Jasper dressed me. How about that? What? He's like, this is what I want you to wear tomorrow, Dad. Oh, cute. Red shoes, blue socks. Come on, Pete. And a red shirt. Oh, stop it. Once he gives him such a hard time, he's always telling him. He's like, really? With the 16-year-old shoes? Really? You're going to be a good dad? I like it. Well, the reason I like it is because I can't tell that Jay, I was shocked to find out that Jay was 46. I always thought he was like in his 30s, like early 30s. I look older than Jay does. Me too. Guess what? Guess what's going on today? My oldest daughter turns 22 today. I know. I just wish her happy birthday on Facebook. Do we need to get her on the phone for falsetto birthday? Oh, man. Is she moving out just in time for her birthday? She's about to move out. She's moving out the middle of this month. I was like, I thought this day would never come. 22, man. So, okay, here's my question for you, Jay. Because you have a 22-year-old daughter. My question for you is, if my boys grow up and they are really, really handsome.
I'll be so proud of them. And there would just be this, you know, pride in me about how handsome they are. But I would think that as a dad of a gorgeous 22 year old girl, you're just nervous. Are you nervous or are you proud? She's so smart. You know, we've had battles going through. I mean, epic battles where I thought I was going to knock her door down. And it was just it was insane. I actually kicked her out of the house once to my bad. Oh, it was horrible. Just, you know, respect issues. I mean, both ways. I mean, definitely I was at fault and she was at fault. But now, you know, it's like it was funny the other day. She says. I want, I'm going to stay the night downtown. You know, I'm going to do some drinking. I'm like, not if you're staying here, you're not. What? Dad, I'm 22. I'm like, well, you're still living in a neighborhood. Really? You gave her that, man? I did give her that. Because, you know, it's like I have other kids in the house. What's wrong with that? I don't see anything wrong with that. I have other kids in the house that, you know, it's like, hey, when you're on your own, do what you want. The only time I would go. Did you let her stay downtown?
I did not. I told her, don't put yourself in that situation. Really? Wait, wait, wait. The only way that I would be against it is if she moved out, came to stay with him, like, visiting, and he pulled that bit. Different rules. That would bother me then if she came to visit. But if she actually lives there. But she was saying, okay, I'm not going to come home because I don't want you guys to have to worry. I don't want the kids to have to worry. She's of age. I was more worried. I was more worried. Letting her stay out? Letting her stay out. Jaybird, really? Hey, still, I mean, she has a younger sister. Her little brother is like, hey, you know, it's like I'm going to stay. Well, there's more to the story, too. Well, you have to be over 21. Well, see, here's the thing. I agree. I moved out of the house when I was 18 and I came back. And when I came back, it was like, hey. Rules before 18 exist if you come back. And I was like, and they were like, okay, you don't have to do that. Don't stay here. Don't stay here. Oh, I got it easy. I left and then came back. It was your rules. That's fine. That's fine. I mean, if the parents are okay with that, that's fine. But if you're living there, how are you really supposed to throw your weight around? How about this? What? Staying with my parents for a while.
not too long ago, and my mom was like, you need to be home by 10. I'm 34 years old. She's like, you need to be home by 10. I'm like, absolutely not. Why were you living there? Well, we were having some issues at my house, so I was staying with my parents for a couple of weeks. Which I, listen, my thing with that is it goes both ways. In other words, if you go, hey, I'm 34 years old, they could easily go to you, yeah, you're 34 years old. And you could be like, hey, I'm 34. And they could be like, hey, you're 34. But the deal was this. I was in the running for this show. Yeah. And I didn't know if I was coming here, moving here. I didn't know. My life was very in flux at this time. And I was about to get on a plane maybe to come out here for good. Yeah. And my mom was like, oh, yeah, can you be home by 10? I'm like, no, I'm not going to be home. I'm 34. Can you imagine hearing? His mom tell him that. And listening to Woods' reaction, he would have flipped out. But you know what? I guarantee you he was home in by 10. 100%. Mom says. Well, here's the thing. If Woodsy lived here, out in California. Okay, Woodsy lives here. And let's say you went home to visit your mom. Just to visit family. Jamie and I go back to see family for Thanksgiving. Yeah. And she goes, can you be in by 10? It would be like.
You're kidding, right? Hello. That happens to you, Lauren? No way. My mom doesn't say 10, but like. Enforces rules? Does she ask you when you're coming home? Oh, yeah. Will you call me when you get there? You know I can't sleep until you're home. Pretend I'm in California. Yeah. I go, how do you think that I make it every day? I went to my brother's house, who lives less than an hour and a half away from my parents, drove there in my rental car, which my mom was not happy about me having because she was afraid I couldn't navigate roads by myself. You have to call me when you get there. I'm like, Mom, what do you think? I don't care. You're home now. You call me when you get there. You know what I just thought when you were telling the story? Because I'm like, how could she do that? That's awful. Blah, blah, blah. You know, you're an adult woman. And then I thought to myself, my God. You will be. My mom says. Just because you guys grow up and you go out of the house. How many times? Doesn't mean that we stop worrying about you. You're not my kids. Yeah, she says the day that you become a mother, you're a mother for the rest of your life. How many times have I heard my mother say, and how many times everybody listening right now have you heard your mother say, you never stop being a mother? I mean, you don't. I can't imagine. I don't have any kids. Can't wait till I do.
But I will fully be my parents. I'll be like, turn the lights off. You're going to watch the same thing upstairs you're watching downstairs. Get out of here. And how fortunate we are. You know, I have to remind myself that. I'm like, I'm blessed. And I'm very fortunate that I have somebody that. cares and loves me enough to care if I made it safe. The day I lost my dad and I couldn't call him anymore, he actually crushes me. I look to his advice all the time. There's just no one to call. Like, hey, can... Nope, guess not. Jesse, the guy who's on the air before us, was saying to me when I walked in, so how are you sleeping now that you're getting bigger? And I said, oh, you know, it's getting harder for sure. And he's like, well, get used to it. You're not going to be able to sleep for the next 20 years. And I'm like, oh my gosh. I'm not going to be able to sleep for the next 20 years. My mother, my mother. has slept on average and i'm not kidding an average of three hours a night for the last 35 years same with my mom 35 years why me you're gone doesn't matter doesn't matter doesn't matter really does not my mom now this i did not know my mom sleeps three ask my dad three hours a night period she's up at three working see uh man this week i've been learning a lot i'm 40 and i'm like learning new stuff yeah time to
To grow up. I guess so. I did not know that moms even have the sleep thing after their kids are 30. You know when my mom can sleep? When Jamie and I are at the lake house and we're hanging out with them and she knows where we are and she knows that we're safe and she knows that somebody's not in trouble or sick or whatever. Really? Three hours a night. I'm pretty sure my mom can sleep all right. Right? Yeah. Yeah, I wonder what the difference is. She gets like, she's definitely had those mother intuition moments where you wake up and you think something's wrong, you know? But no, she'd sleep all right. Let me tell you something, by the way, total rabbit hole. But there is nothing that bothers me more than, hey, dude, is everything okay from someone you know? Yeah.
Sorry, man. I just had this weird feeling. I just had that. People say that. Do you keep that to yourself? I had a dream about you. Yes. That bit. You know what else? Is this bit. Call me as soon as possible. Yeah. I'm like, oh, God. Right. Immediately. Did you see the American Idol finale? Or if Mikey. Yes. Yes. If I got a message from Mikey tonight that said, hey, Woodsy, it's Mike. Give me a call when you get a sec. Yeah. Flip out. I'd pay. I'd be like, what did I do? What did I do? Answering machines are for, okay, to explain the reason for the call. Sure. But if you have some prophetic dream, keep it to yourself. Keep your prophetic dream to yourself. I don't want to know. But what if they feel like they got a view and they need to warn you? If they feel that way, keep it to, like, what are you going to do? You're going to go, oh my gosh. Thank you so much. I'll stay home for the rest of my life until something bad happens. I'm going to watch out for falling pianos. Safes. Yeah. Anvils. Falling anvils. Wile E. Coyote. Like your parents. I mean, your parents is a good example, but they're like, no, I don't want you to do this. I have a really bad feeling. Have you gotten that? I have a really bad feeling. Oh, yeah. Like you're going to go to Cancun or whatever. And they're like, don't go. I have a really bad feeling. You're like.
Why don't you keep your bad feeling to yourself and I'll, you know, do my best to be safe. They have to warn you. That's a good bit. That's a good bit for parents. It is. And then they love the, when you ignore it, the, I told you so bit. I mean, but how about when you come back safe and sound and you're like, really? So what about your, what about your intuition now? Yeah. I think that would stop me from going. Really? I'd be so freaked out. No. Someone had a view. No way, mom. You're being paranoid. There are those. you know, family members that will be like, is everything okay? Yeah. Why? I don't know. I just had this weird dream. I don't know. I just had this weird feeling. I don't know. I just had to keep it to yourself. My mom gives me that bit sometimes. Are you okay? I'm like, yeah, I'm great. Never been, literally, literally have never been better. Okay. Cause I had this. I had a weird feeling. And the best bit is this. If I do have a rough day or whatever and I do talk to my mom, I'm like, she's not having a very good day. She's like, I had a feeling. Yeah. Like, did you? My mom does this. Like, my mom has these weird sayings. Like, if your hand itches, you're going to get some money. And, like, if your ears are ringing, it means someone's talking about you. Your nose itches. Somebody's thinking about you. You heard that bit?
Nine times out of ten, I call my mom. Oh, your ears must have been ringing. I'm like, why? We were just talking about you. My mom, too. I'm like, cool. How's that working out? You guys get it all out? There needs to be a TV show that actually tells you why your ears ring. Yeah. Actually tells you why you get some strange, tiny... scratch on your nose. I know why my ears ring because I listen to my music as loud as possible and I turn my amp up to 11. But doesn't it happen just randomly? It'll be like... I probably have tinnitus. Yeah. I want to know what that means. M1 Nick from North County. Are you there, Nick? Yeah, yeah, here I am. Go ahead. So when I was a kid, you know, my parents, they like had no curfew on me. Yeah. And then senior year, one night, it was like a Friday night. I came home at like 1130. They're like, what are you doing home so early? I'm like, you know, Kevin, you know, he's got his curfew. And, you know, this girl Katie, she's got to be home at 11. So I just dropped them off and came home. And they're like, my parents are sitting there looking at me a little bit puzzled. They're like, your friends have curfew? And I'm like, you know, trying to backpedal. Dude, you're doing so good. And then you said that you can't say that word. You can't say BS.
My heart stopped. Every time. I'm like... You're used to it. I'm not. Yeah, it still freaks you guys out. I'm ready to be like, yeah, S, F. I could join in. I don't think I would ever get used to it. My heart is racing. I think it only stopped racing for me about three years ago. Up until about three years ago, it would happen and it was like ice water in my veins. Now... Now it happens, and I'm like, ha, got you. I heard it. You just point to that little button so calmly. Hey, Nick, are you there? Yeah. Yeah, you can't say any bad words, buddy. I'm sorry. That's okay. My coffee's not done yet. No, it's all right. Yeah, the having no curfew thing. Lucky. I mean, if you do grow up that way, it is. It's great. I had that because I was a track runner and I, for the most part, hung with people on the track team, kept my nose clean and everything. But then I took a turn maybe junior year. They all do. Started hanging out with different.
And I used to, like, be like, yeah, yeah, we're all just, the girls are just going to watch movies. I could come home with, like, three if I wanted to. Wow. And then the minute I got caught, I was like, yeah, you're in by 11, miss. And I want to know who you're with, where you're going. I got caught bad. You do the sleepover bit, man, and that's how my buddy lived by himself our senior year of high school, had his own apartment. What? Yeah, imagine that. Wow. Yeah, I had an apartment at 18. How old was he, you said? He was 18. He was a little older. But our senior year, one of my best friends, Mark Bodick, his parents divorced. And his dad was with another woman, and they were going to be together. And he's like, no, I don't like her. And I'm not living with mom in Dallas because I'm staying at our high school. And the parents, you know what I bet? This happens a lot. I bet the parents had guilt. Oh. 100%. Yeah. So they're like, whatever you want. Because they have guilt for having an affair or whatever. I don't know that they had an affair. They paid? They paid. Oh, wow. So here was my bit. You ready? Three o'clock. I get home from school or whatever. Hey, Mom. Yeah, you know, Mark and I have this huge art project. I'm just going to crash over there. She's like, okay. And I'd go over to Bodix and we'd be like. Do you know that he lives alone? Yeah. What does that mean?
We have an art project, so I need to spend the night? Yeah, we were working on an art project. Are you going to get your jammies and draw? What is it? We had an art project we had to build, did we? Did you? Yeah. And by build an art project, I meant drive out to Dallas and go to a club at 17. Oh, my God. Hey, M1 Johnny from San Diego's on the line knows why our ears ring. What is it? Good morning, crew. Good morning. Good morning. Ooh. Glad to listen to you every morning. Thank you. Hey, Johnny. Were your ears ringing? We were talking about you. We were just talking about you. Hey, a small amount of pressure in your ear being released is why you hear the ringing. I know, but why would it just happen? You're sitting on the couch watching Days of Our Lives, weird. It's the same reason barometric pressure changes, just different atmospheric pressures. I don't know why barometric pressure changes. So how does pressure in your ear just suddenly change? It changes like the weather. Okay. A front will move in and it brings more pressure on. You don't really notice it much, but it just happens. And then at that point in time, small amounts of air release. Okay. All right. I'm starting to tune. I'm tuning out because I can only go so far before I get scared. Like, there's too much information. I'm not smart enough to consume this. Could it be that somewhere telekinetically...
We know that someone's talking about us, and that's what changes the pressure in our brains. Really? Could it, Johnny? Could it, Johnny? Possibly could be, because my ears ring all the time. It must be you guys. Yeah. Probably us. We were thinking about you, Johnny. Tiny on the spot. Thanks for staying on the air, man. That was great, Mikey. Thank you, Johnny. We love you, bro. Talk to you later. I love you so much. He won't say I love you back. It's okay. He's not there yet. He's not there yet. Give him some time. Maybe I'll do it on a first date. Yeah, he probably thinks I did it too soon, but you know what? If I feel it, I'm going to tell him. I'm right there with you next time. Written in his hand. Watch next time he calls in, he's going to be like, I love you guys. Love you, bro. I'd always go, I love you, man, right back, and they go, okay, okay, got to go. Is there anything weirder when you're in your house and your door? to your bedroom or whatever closes by itself. The reason that it does is because somebody else in the house closed the door and it like changed the pressure in the house. Sucked it closed. Sucked the door closed. Freaked you out half to death. Haven't even got to the Fergie stuff yet. It's gnarly. If you didn't know, Woodsy just rolled his head and eyes again. Not Fergalicious. Must be Wednesday here today. Wednesday. Bye!
How long have you been holding on to that? S-O-B. I picked the music on Wednesday and now Woodsy has nicknamed it Wednesday. Today's Wednesday for sure. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf 4 for a Wednesday morning, being brought to you by Guayaquil Romate, finest drink in the land. Check it out. Your Jimbo's naturally the markets have it, and they've got the new flavors for you as well. Surf-wise today, looking at a slow but steady increase out of that southwest swell direction, about 200, 210 degrees still. Again, on the slow rise, being hampered by a negative low tide at around 8 o'clock this morning. That's hurting all areas in terms of size and shape. A little bit of background in west-northwest windswell to cross it up just a bit as well. Looking at waves running in that needle-waste chest-high zone on average, shoulder height, the standout spots most open to that south swell direction. You can expect a little improvement in both sides and shape as we get on the other side of that negative low tide. Weather-wise, overcast skies with some eddy-like winds, light south-southwesterly winds, putting a little texture on most open areas. Beach breaks. A bit drained out, pick and choose corners, mixed with a fair amount of closeouts, better to structured zones right now. Top south summer-facing reef areas have waves as well. Just super inconsistent. So that's what we've got. For up-to-the-minute surf reports and forecasts, you go to surfline.com. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. I don't like it when it's cheap. Zienna. I'm a big girl now. Got married, having a baby, now I can rent a car. I haven't moisturized in days. Dying. Lauren. I got a little pepper up my nose. Had to sneeze. And Jay. I just got reminded of the worst haircut ever that I had. I forgot about. I had the rat tail. On FM 94.9. You know what that is, Woodsy? I don't know, but I like it. Guitar. Oh, yeah. Dude, is that Damn Yankees? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That's greatness. You just totally redeemed yourself. I love Damn Yankees. I do, too. I saw the concert. That was your first concert, you see? The first one I can remember. Damn Yankees. Bad Company. And ACDC. I was at that show. Not the one that you were at. Unless you were in Hartford, Connecticut. I was not. Okay.
Larry King interviewed Lady Gaga. Gaga. Lady Gaga. What must Larry King think of Lady Gaga? You know, there's a bit of a cultural difference between the two of them. But anyway, in case you've been sleeping under a rock, Lady Gaga is the new it. Yep. Madonna. Yeah, it's a new thing. I don't like Lady Gaga because I think that it's, you know, I sound like an old guy. I wish there was a better way for me to phrase it so it didn't sound so old. What's your bit with her? I just think that she's a part of the BS culture, you know? I think that she's a part of making... I think she's a part of making bad culture. You know, saying a lot of stuff. She's done some stuff on stage where I'm just like, really, man? I'm just trying to raise a kid, that's all. What does she do? Oh, like the bloody? She has stuff where she wears blood. No, no, no. It was way worse than that. He's like, I didn't know about that, but I'm even more out. No. What? Sexual stuff? I showed her private parts to the audience. She did that? Top or bottom? We had audio. Bottom. Ew. Yeah, we had audio. No. Yeah, we had audio of her going, want to see my...
It's probably because the rumor was that she was a hermaphrodite. Right. She wanted to prove him all wrong. Maybe. Like me. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, I mean, so I'm just, I'm real out on that stuff. And I know that, in a way, in the 50s, when parents saw Elvis Presley dancing, they wouldn't let their kids watch it. Well, and see, that's a little extreme, I think. But showing your, you know. Yeah, it's gross. Well, it only seems that way because right now that's where the line is. But see, way back then, the line was shaking your hips was crazy. No one did that. Shaking your hips in a way that looked like sex to parents. And so that was the craziest thing you could do. And then my wife said when she was a kid, her mom was super liberal and let most stuff fly. But when her mom saw Madonna in a wedding dress on stage crawling around simulating sex, she was like, no, you're not watching this. Now? That's not like that. That's nothing. Britney Spears' little sister would do that now. I mean, of course. Like, that's nothing to us. Well, Madonna kept upping me. That's not the worst of what she's done either. So, you know me, man. I'm just like, again, I'm like, I'm just trying to raise a kid.
Three. I'm trying to raise three kids. And so, you know, I just have this feeling that culture is kind of... Yeah, but then there's some people that would argue, like, in Europe and other places, it's not so taboo. Maybe we need to get with the time. That's true. I mean... I'm not one of those people. The freedom of expression bit and all that. They do. I mean, listen, you're not going to get any argument from me there. Lady Gaga has the right... To do anything she wants. That's not the deal. You know, my deal isn't, we should stop her from doing, never, man. You're not Tipper Gore. No. In fact, you know, I used to be a shock jock. And my feeling on it is the same now as my feeling was on it then, which is, if you don't like it, just don't watch it. But I still, you know, I have my First Amendment right. My First Amendment right says, you're a third.
Would it freak you out if Jake was walking down the stairs going, carry my, carry my. No. You know why it wouldn't? You know why it wouldn't? It's because I walk down the stairs going, carry my. I mean, I say to my wife all the time, it really is a bummer that the music is so catchy. Yeah. Because it really is. It's all so catchy. You know, that I kissed a girl and I'm like. Really? With that? Now we, you know? Yeah. But it's so catchy. That's the problem is it's so dang catchy. And by the way, this is just my deal. I know most people are like, oh, lighten up, blah, blah, blah. And I get it. I totally get it. But, you know, if the deal is First Amendment right and we all get to say what we think, my deal is, well, thanks for being a turd for all our kids. Well, putting songs together is so formulaic now. Formulaic? Formulaic. Formulaic. I think there's one formula and they all stick to it. And it works. And it works. Yeah. And that's not new. I mean, that's been going on in our culture since. But even the amount of repetition and the cadence with the melody. Everybody sounds the same. All right. So here she is with Larry King. You said that people use the word icon carelessly. Do you consider yourself an icon? No, I do not. I hope when I'm dead, I'll be considered an icon.
By the way, she's fascinated with death. Yes. Lady Gaga has a fascination with death and thinks a lot about death. Did you know that, Sienna? She's strange. Had you ever heard that? Yeah. Or is that news? Yeah, and that's what I was talking about when she performs. Sometimes she's put blood on her and stuff. Like pretends to die on stage. Which is interesting that she does that because Larry asked her, well, what won't you do? Is there any boundary you won't cross? I suppose I'll just... Well, you'll have to wait, Larry. I'm not sure. Sleeping with you, Larry. It's probably a boundary. I think she would. She probably would. One more time. What was that? It was him. I'm not interested in violence. Yes, I don't like violence. I'm not interested in violence. Why do you have blood all over you? I hate violence. I don't like negativity. I don't like prejudice. As opposed to the people that are pro-negative. And I love prejudice. Right. The people that are like, yes, up with prejudice. Up with prejudice. Prejudice. Don't believe in hatred and music. So there are some things, I suppose. Love hatred. Yes, the people that are hanging out in front of the concerts going, prejudice, prejudice. Can I ask you guys a question that's going to make me sound old, so maybe you guys too? Sure. You feel like I've got this thing that anyone that now comes like.
after my prime and who I considered icon, I'm like, can't be icon. Yeah, for sure. Like, you can't top Elvis. You can't top Madonna. Yeah. My bit is, what would Eddie Vedder do? If Eddie Vedder would listen to it, I'm not listening to it. Sorry. And it's almost like when you watch athletes now that we're out of the, well, maybe not Sienna, but we're out of the age where like. You could be in the same category as that person. You're like, eh, they're not. They've never been on Michael Jordan. Yeah. My dad. You talk to my dad. Tony Bennett. No, no, no. Frank Sinatra. For my dad, there is no quarterback who will ever do Baltimore Colts. Johnny Unitas. Johnny Unitas. There will never be. And I'm like, Dad, Joe Montana has four rings. He's not Johnny Unitas. But he actually won more games. And he goes, and I've done that whole thing. Like, I've just walked him through the progression of what, you know, Joe Montana's done. And listen to me, by the way. I'm like, Joe Montana, there's a bunch of guys listening right now that are younger that are like, you ever seen Tom Brady play? I'm like, Joe Montana, you know, he was the best. But my dad goes, yeah, you never saw him play. I'm like, okay.
All right. Maybe I get the DeLorean up to 88, Dad. There is something, though, when it's like it's past your time and what you already consider icons. You're like, I'm not willing to accept anymore. You're talking about this morning. LeBron. We're like, he's no Jordan. Right, right. He's the real deal. Why'd you guys develop New York accent? Because that's the way you talk. That's how you talk. You're talking about the things you love. Those are my icons. Who's your... Madonna for you, Sienna? You're 25. No, not Madonna. She's before your time, right? I don't really have any one. Well, like if you could consider pop icons in terms of society. It was like Britney Spears in my time. Britney Spears. That was who was real big when I was like in high school, middle school. Yeah, and I believe that Britney is an icon. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I believe she is. Now, if you ask me, I'd be like, she didn't touch Madonna, but that's because I was... She doesn't touch Madonna. She can't do anything Madonna's done. Well, they did kiss, you know. Of course. Of course they did. Anytime you can just say the first name of the person and everybody knows who you're talking about. Or the last name. Woods. Woods. Like Cher. Exactly. Exactly. Right, Frankie. Frankie. Exactly. Who's your other favorite? Liza, of course. Liza's good. Liza's good. Yeah. Barry. Barry. Barbara.
Barbara. You can't beat Streisand. Or we just call her Streisand. Yeah, Barbara. Streisand. Temple. Temple. Sure. Temple. What are you talking about? Temple the dog? What am I, 70? You said it. You just said it first to the last name. What am I, 80 years old? What am I, Larry King? Let's see. Temple. Temple. Johnson. Johnson & Johnson, the baby shampoo. Terrific. Smith. Will, yes. It took me that long to figure out who famous had the last name Smith. That's amazing. Dead air. All right, let's see. All right, here she is talking about Madonna. This is Gaga talking about Madonna. It's Gaga. We mentioned Madonna earlier, and many articles about you refer to Madonna comparisons, parallels. What do you make of all that? What do you think of her? I think Madonna's great. She's been a wonderful friend and very kind and supportive. How do they just become friends, by the way? They just call and they're like, hey, you're in this upper echelon now. We need to make it right. But what do you do? You just tell your manager, hey, get me Madonna's number? No, it would be Madonna reaching out to her because she'd be scared to reach out to Madonna. Right? Yeah. Madonna says...
I'd like to call Lady Gaga. Or do you think they ever even talk or their publicist just, they decide. They're like, no, you guys are friends. If anyone asks, you're friends. You're friends. That's probably true. And amazing. And she's such an incredible woman. And, you know, I get compared to so many people. Whatever. She's got that weird, like, elitist accent, you know. She was a bartender in Brooklyn. for a while. I was going to ask you. She came from money and her family. Lady Gaga? Uh-huh. She's from America? Yeah. Yeah, she grew up in either the Upper East or the Upper West Side and was part of high society. Let's see. You were raised as a Catholic. What are your feelings toward the church and religion in general? Well, I struggle. I struggle with my feelings about the church in particular, but I guess it's... Quite honestly, completely separate, isn't it? Religion and the church are two completely separate things. But in terms of religion, I'm very religious. I was raised Catholic. I believe in Jesus. I believe in God. I'm very spiritual. I pray very much. But at the same time, there is no one religion that doesn't hate or speak against or be prejudiced against another racial group or religious group.
Or sexual group. And for that, I think religion is also bogus. So I suppose you could say I'm a quite religious woman that is very confused about religion. And I dream of... That's the first thing she said that I really agreed with. That she's confused? That she's confused about certain things. She's very deep. See, I agree with her stance on religion. I kind of do. I'm kind of agreeing there myself. A little bit. No, no, no. Dude. I totally understand, but it's tough because there's a lot more to it. Yes, for sure. There's a lot more to it than what's on the surface. It may appear that there is hatred, which that makes me bonkers. You know, the only thing that is so starkly fascinating to me when I hear that line is I go. You know, the very people that are preaching tolerance are really intolerant of my intolerance. The very people that are preaching intolerance. I'm trying to figure this out. The very people that are preaching tolerance are very intolerant of my intolerance. Fair enough. And envision a future where we have a more peaceful religion or a more peaceful world. Well, why don't we just make one up? Wait, we have. It's called Oprah.
It's actually okra. More peaceful state of mind for the younger generation. That's what I dream for. Do you believe you'll go somewhere when you pass on? Do I believe in heaven? Or hell? I didn't say that. Yeah, why don't you open your ears? Go to heaven, but I suppose I could go either way, couldn't I? So she doesn't believe in heaven, she doesn't believe in hell. Or she said that she might go to heaven. She's not really sure. She's very deep, Mike. She'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints. That's right. I've heard that. It's been said. But anyway, there it is. There's Gaga. Music's catchy. Very. Sorry. It is. It's catchy. You like it, Sienna? You like Gaga? The only one I really liked of hers was the Just Dance song. Boy, the kid's a big poker face fan. She's a cutie. I'm sorry. She's cute. Oh, really? She kind of looks like a catcher's mitt. Can you ever really see her face, though? I don't know. It's something about her. She's just the way she carries herself. She's definitely got a little, like, body going on, but you can never see her face. It's always covered up. Looks like an old Rawlings. Maybe that's not what I'm looking at. She doesn't wear pants is probably why. I'm all in. None of us are. Yeah, we're all pantsless. She was on a...
dating show. Do you remember that before she ever got famous on one of the MTV shows? I have to find it. There's video of her on one of those dating shows. Really? And she's in a restaurant. It was the one. I don't know. I'm not going to try to describe it. But she has black hair. Looks completely different. I'll find it. I'll put it on my blog. Let's see. Oh, I got an email. Oh, do I? Do I? Do you? Here it is. Tell me what you think of this. Morning Mikey show. I've been listening for the past five years, and the show is the best it's ever been. I would be stoked if you guys could try to help me with a recent issue with my wife. She's been unemployed. She's been unemployed for about two years now. Luckily, I make enough to support the two of us very comfortably, but lately I'm starting to get irritated with her, and he puts in quotations, job hunt. She's telling me that there is just nothing to be found, but I think she finds the remote pretty easily. Whoa! Ouch. Exclamation point. Whoa! Dropped a hammer. Seems like she's enjoying being unemployed and is catching up with her soaps and her girlfriends. Oh, boy. Soaps. Whenever I ask her if she's submitted her resume, she gets upset and tells me she's trying but can't control the economy.
I understand that, but I'm starting to doubt if she's even looking anymore. I love her, and I truly don't care if she doesn't want to work anymore. I just want her to be honest with me about it. Yeah, right. He cares. Liar. Her unemployment, I agree, her unemployment has been a sore spot in our marriage, and I just want to move on from it. How can I tackle this one without being insensitive? M1, sugar daddy. Well, I think the way you tackle it without being insensitive is you tackle it without being insensitive. I think you say. That is the Mikey Show. Yeah. I think you say. Yeah, there it is. You say to her the concerns. You just aren't insensitive about it. But you say, here's my concerns. It's been a year. Two. Two years. It's been two years. Two. It's been two years. And when I come home, you're watching television. And that concerns me. And the reason that it concerns it wouldn't concern me if it was two weeks. It concerns me because it's two years. I know that you can't control the economy. Yeah. But at some point, there's got to be a give. There's got to be something that happens. And I'm sorry, but the people that.
that stay at home and just look on the computer. It's like, you know, that's not an excuse for you not finding a job, I think. You got to get out there, go apply in person, shake someone's hand, get in their face. Don't you? Yes. You do. Yeah, I mean, it'll definitely separate you from people. Yeah. Do you know how many people apply online? So many. How are you going to stand out just by being a piece of paper? I was a recruiter. Tell people what that actually is. A recruiter? Yeah, because when you used to say it, I had no idea. So the company I worked for is one of the fastest growing or that I used to work for. It was and is one of the fastest growing companies in the country. So we would open these new offices in new markets. We have an office here in San Diego. So I remember launching this office and calling people. finding, digging, looking for good names. I'd talk to LOB who was in sales, get three names from her. I'd talk to you. I actually, when I was recruiting for San Diego, I called Eddie and asked him, hey, who's some good radio reps I need to talk to? Because they'll have friends that can go sell internet. So that's what I did. I went out and really dug and found people. So does that mean that that job that you had would eventually come to an end because they would find all the staff they needed? But here's the deal. There's always backfill. People may not make it.
And it's that big of a company? And we had 40-something offices when I left. Really? Yeah, and so we kept opening new offices and new offices and new offices, so I would recruit those salespeople. Now, I got, I don't know, 3,000 resumes a day, it felt like, and you had to weed through some of the turds, you know? How does one stand out? How does one stand out? I mean, that's the thing, is you're sitting at home applying through Monster. No, it's the guy that sent his resume, picked up the phone, and called me, left me. Dynamic voicemail. Yeah, personality. I want to talk to that dude. Really? Or the guy that sent me something. How did they even know how to find you? How did they find you? They dug. They dug. They found out. They go, you know what? I've heard good things about this company. Reach Local. I'm going to get on their website. Oh, here's the recruiting contact. I'm going to. Get in touch with it. I mean, there's so many ways. Here's the deal. If I needed a job tomorrow, if you canned me today, I'd be fine. No, you can't necessarily say that. I would be fine. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Yeah, but you've said before, it's a down economy. It is a down economy. Your dad's looking. You said your brother was looking before. I'm in sales. That's the deal. I'm in sales. And you're in sales. You would always have a job. You'd have a job tonight. I was looking for a job.
I didn't want to settle and just get into the same rut that I was in. So who knows this girl's backstory? I mean, I hated... Listen, I remember this, L.O.B. I was looking for a job, too, one time, and I couldn't find one. Finger quotes. Finger quotes. And I was living with my parents at the time. Well, I couldn't find any radio jobs. And what I would do is I would send out a bunch of tapes, you know, because at the time it was cassette tapes. I would send out a bunch of tapes, and then I would wait. Yep. And I would always have envelopes at the house. So if my parents were like, hey, what are you doing? I'm like, look at the envelopes. I mean, I'm just, oh, my gosh. I'm busting my ass here, man. I'm working on this here. And I knew eventually my dad was going to be like, hey, listen, you got to get out there, and I want to see this many resumes today. I'm just saying. I don't know. Even driving around, you'll see signs. You'll see signs. Woods is right. Woods would get a job. Ask Garrett Michaels how many times I called him. Ask Garrett how many times I called him when I had a toe in the door. Daily. I called him. I emailed him. I had bosses email him references. Nowadays, forget doing the bare minimum because it's never going to work. I'm not saying that if you're out of work, you're not trying. I'm not saying that. But what I am saying is,
Two years. I believe that there's something. It may not be what you want. Well, there's something. And if he's saying that there's... that he's supporting the two of them very comfortably, then maybe, I don't know what the girl's backstory was, but maybe she's like, well, I don't want to get into a job that I'm going to hate and then have to quit in six months because I can't stand it and get back. I mean, I know that was my case. I was waiting tables and had come from, I was in corporate America for, I don't know, five, seven years, and I can't do the math right now. If you got fired, how long would it take you to find another serving job? You know, it depends. When I came back from traveling, I went door to door to basically every restaurant. I only had a bike, so I had to go within where I could get on my bike and go. And I went several times. I called. I would show up. I would ask, okay, who actually does the hiring? Because I don't want to just come and ask a waitress and say you're not hiring. It took me probably a month to get.
Just that waiting tables job. And that came from a referral from somebody. What do you think about the sentence? It seems like she's enjoying being unemployed and is catching up with her soaps and her girlfriends. That might be his perception of it. I mean, it's hard to say. Dude, I'm totally on this guy's side. The only thing I don't agree with. Oh, my gosh, Jay. That's a really good idea. That is a good idea. Turn the cable off. That is hardcore. That's so hardcore. He needs the cable, though. We know that. He wants to come and watch TV, too. Honey, things are tough. Times are hard. Yeah. We're going to make some cuts around here. Got to get rid of the cable. Maybe not stuck the refrigerator with so much ice cream. And I got it. Oh, Jay. Cell phone bell is expensive. Yeah. No. If she doesn't have a cell phone, how is she supposed to call? I'm going to use a home phone. How do you know she has one? And what if she needs to be reached? I'm going to pay the $9 a month and get us a home phone. I'm going to turn off your cell phone. What if that person who she's going to go interview with is like, all right, I need to get someone in today. Okay. Call me at home. What if she's out giving her resumes to people? She's not. She's watching Y&R. What if she's out off of her? She's not. She's watching Y&R. She says she's watching Y&R. Get her a pager. With the cable turned off? I'll get you a beeper. I'll get you a beeper. Here you go.
M1 empathize. Empathize. Empathize. Empathize. Empathize. Is no longer on the line. M1 Dave from Campo is. Hello. Hi. How's it going? Good, man. Hi. I've been unemployed for almost two years. My wife is in the same boat. I'm in construction. She's in the dental field, you know. And it's hard right now. I've been out pounding the pavement, looking for jobs. Everywhere you go, they want you to go online, you know. Yeah. Even if you go there to their... place of business they have a computer set up right there they go over there fill an application we'll give you a call you know nobody's really personal anymore and it does get frustrating after about two years you know you feel like am i am i am i a loser i can't find work i mean i've even gone to jobs where I'm going to make less money, you know, Walmart. And I can't even get a job there because they're not even hiring. I mean, it's a lot harder than people think. Oh, there's no question, man. And it takes a toll on you once you start looking. It's like, how much rejection and how much disappointment can you take? Yeah, you can't take it. And I have three kids, you know, I have to support them. And luckily, I was able to save money, you know, before I got laid off. But it's not as easy as people think, oh, well, you can go get another job. Nuh-uh.
Sorry, it's not that easy. And I know in construction, it's really tough, especially here in San Diego, because when the work dries up, the work dries up. I got a buddy from San Diego in construction. He went to New Mexico where it was hot. It's moving like crazy in New Mexico. And he went there and he was working his buns off. Like, I think that I would be able to get a job pretty easily after, but I don't think it would be in radio. I think it would be in something else maybe that I don't like as much. And that's what I think maybe Woods, I'm sure this job he thinks he could get the next day is not exactly what he wants to do, but it's a job. I got no room to talk. Listen, if I got fired from radio and I couldn't do radio, what am I going to do? What would you do? Oh, I'm in the same boat. I'm not, I don't have a high school diploma. I don't even have a high school diploma. I never went to college. Well, you have a GED. I have a GED, but I mean, what does that really qualify me for? I'm not really qualified to do anything but tell jokes. Right. So you could get, I mean, we could all probably, well, I mean, now he was saying even Walmart wasn't hiring. There's something you can do. You can sign spin, you can whatever, you know, but A, is it going to pay your bills? And B, is it going to make you absolutely miserable? Because you spend most of your waking hours at work, you know? Oh, I could get a job tomorrow, but I'd be on the phone.
Ripping the mic again. But aren't you miserable trying to get a job every day? Wouldn't you rather be miserable at a job getting paid than miserable at all trying to get a job? I mean, at some point, bills overtake your desire and you have to. Yep. You have to get paid bills. Suck it up sometimes. It sucks. I've done it. A thief stole a trailer. Nice. And you probably wouldn't expect what was inside the trailer. Then he realized, oh, that's what's inside the trailer. Tell you what it is. I saw Eskimo Blue Waters in the hallway. Yeah. And we have a question to ask you about the maturity level of the person you're with. Be heard on the Mikey Show now. I'm ready. Call 570-1949. I'm going on to shoot him a text. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. KBZT San Diego. A Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. I probably like ELO more than your average dude. ELO. Love ELO. The electric. I love the white man afro. White man afro slays me. Guy from Boston had one real good. Oh, yeah, he did. You must be talking about Brad Delp. Either that or I think his name was Sib. No, Sid. There was a guy in the band named Sid, wasn't there? Hold on.
Really? There we go. Maybe we bet something. Maybe we bet $3. If you don't know it, don't say it. Why don't we bet $3 in cash? $3 in cash? Yeah, I won't take a check. It has to be in cash. I'm going to have to write you a check, dude. I'm going to need to wait for my... You need me to hold on to the check until I tell you? Until the 15th. You know that, dude. He owes me $3, but I got to hold on to it. Just post-date it. I will post-date it. There you go. Sig. Sib. Sid. I swear it was Sid. I said Sid. I swear it was Sib. Why don't you Wikipedia, bro? Where do you think I am, kid? He's like doing his synopsis. In 45 minutes, I thought. Maybe we eat some Indian food. Yeah, maybe Mikey eats some cantaloupe. Or maybe we make that right. Oh, look at the look on his face. What? No, what are you talking about? I haven't found anything yet. Look on his face. Easy. Come on, Sib. Where are you, pal? Really? That long, huh? Hold on. Here we go. Brad Delberry, Jim. Why don't you just Google it? The phone lines are blowing up now. I know. Are they? Yeah, 5701949. People that know if it was Sig, Sib. What's the last name? What's the last name? It's going to be Sib. I think it's Sib, dude. Yeah, Garrett just called in and he said it's Sib. What's up, dude? I'm not buying it. Detroit. Is that him? Yep. No, that's not him. Yes, yes, it is. Boston. Sib. Sib. Yeah, what's up?
How many slices would you like? His real name's John. Give me my $3. Give me my $3. Is it really? Yeah. Garrett called in? Garrett called in. I said, hey, do you want to tell him yourself? No. Of course not. Garrett, come on, dude. Come on. Please. Yeah. Right now, he's smiling and going. Call back, Garrett. Absolutely not. Garrett says, if you don't know it, don't say it. I knew it. No, I don't say it. I knew it. You know what I mean? Too bad I do that every day. You know, I knew the guys from Boston. Played our concert in Philly. Detroit. Detroit. We love you, Garrett. Seattle. Never played Seattle, Seattle. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Garrett. So tell me about the thief that stole a trailer. Well, this happened down under. In Australia. Top of the morning. Top of the morning. A sales manager was showing a couple in their 60s this nice little trailer that was attached to a car. And the sales manager takes a couple in the back, shows them around the new purchase. While they're in the back of the trailer, a thief jumps into the car that it's attached to, sees that the keys are in the ignition, starts driving away. The sales manager notices what's happening right away. She bails out of the trailer.
I'm assuming it's a sheet just as a manager, though. Yeah. Jumped from the trailer. The suspect then crashed into another car. Nice. Drove away from the scene. Went over curbs. Terrified the couple. Still in the back of the trailer. Oh, my gosh. And then finally he left the car. Took the couple's camera in the front. I'd be terrified. Terrified. And the couple of the backs. They're okay. Yeah, they're all right, though. They're good. They're scared. Would you let Eskimo in? All right. She's in the hallway. Eskimo Blue Water is a local musician. Hey, what's up? She comes in. She always wears sunglasses. She's got the rocker look, you know, kind of a rock look, rock vibe. Kind of a female Bret Michaels. I haven't seen a jean skirt that long. It's like all the way to the floor. Yeah, I hemmed it up, actually. It was... Even longer? Yeah, I was stepping on the back of it. So you hemmed it? Yeah. Yeah. It's jean, right? Yeah. It's jean material. Denim. Denim. Denim. It's a fancy form of cotton.
Yeah, is it? Yeah, it is. Fancy form of cotton. Yeah, you get that like thrift stores only, I think. Oh, yeah. Vintage. Vintage, yeah. Yeah, she's very confident. She's very confident. She is. Thank you. She's very confident she's in, you know, the music scene. Very sure. You know, she's played some gigs. Up and coming. Up and coming, okay. I'm not there yet. Up and coming. I'm no Sib. Yeah, right. You're no Sib from Boston. Yeah. Or is it Sig? It's Sib. Really? Really, Eskimo? I thought so, Mike. All right. Okay. All right, Eskimo. What is this? The Woodsy Show? Really? Yeah. I'm on board with that. How dare you? How dare you? Oh, wow. She's got on the layered necklaces. Yep. She's doing it real good with a t-shirt. Yeah. Turquoise rings. Yeah. I have a cross on. Yeah. Unlike Lady Gaga, I'm not afraid to proclaim. Right, yeah. And you're also a lot like Bret Michaels in that. That's kind of an oversized cross. Yes, it's giant. Yeah. Well, Bret is a good friend. Yeah, is he? Is he? On Twitter, I follow him. Yeah. Yeah. And Bret Simpson, her neighbor, is a good friend. Yeah. I didn't know you knew him. Yeah, yeah. I actually know Bret. But anyway.
Weird, weird, weird. Yeah. But Eskimo comes in. She plugs her gigs and sometimes plays her music. Yeah. Music sounds a lot like other people, though. Yeah, it does. Really? Yes. You guys keep saying that, but it's a fusion. What's her name? It's a fusion of you and Beyonce. She was talking about the formula. Yeah, formulaic. Formulaic, yeah. Formulaic, yeah. I just try to plug it in, you know. Last time you came in, it was kind of a fusion of you and Beyonce. Actually, I think you accused me of Rihanna. Rihanna. Oh, yeah, that's who it is. Really? Rihanna. Yeah. Rihanna. Rihanna. Umbrella. Rihanna, was it? Well, you didn't sing Umbrella. You sang My Slicker. Yellow Slicker. Icker. Icker. Yeah, Ick, Ick, Ick. Yeah. Yeah. I like it. Thanks, Yenna. Yeah. She also sang to the right, to the right, everything that's yours in a bag to the right. See, it's catchy. It is. It's catchy in my head. It's catchy the first time. It's like a virus. Because we've heard it before. Yeah. Oh. So what are you going to play today? What did you bring? Your acoustic? No, I didn't. I didn't bring my axe with me. You didn't bring your axe? Yeah, we'll get to that. What is that thing?
That's Peanut. Don't worry about that. What? All right. Because we're getting there, you know? She's got a new guitar. Well, I don't think it's a guitar. You can't see it from over there, but it ain't a guitar. Okay. Well, yeah, I mean, I'm kind of, I fall on a little bit of hard times. Have you? We were just talking about that. Do you want the $3 I just won from Mikey? No, no, I mean, I can make it. I'm a warrior. I look out of my mustache. I'm a warrior. Her story is a lot like Jules. It is, man. Well. I don't know who that is. You don't know who Jewel is? I feel like it's like hip-hop. She's into hip-hop. No. She's not. She's not pop. Acoustic. Acoustic stuff. Kind of like you. Kind of like yourself. Yeah. Instead of living out of a Mustang, she lived out of a van. And instead of dating Steve Maltz, who's your boyfriend? Ex-boyfriend? Ex. Ex-boyfriend. She did Steve Paltz. Yeah. Well, I don't know. But she's different. Everyone has a name, right? Yeah, everyone does. My name's Eskimo. I'm sure there's other Eskimos out there. Yeah, I'm sure there's not. But anyway, because... You guys know that Blue Oyster Cold is headlining the fair, right? I saw that. I did, too. I'm excited. I saw that they're there. Well, I talked to their tour bus driver, and he actually... You talked to their tour bus driver? I'm not finished. Okay, yeah, I'm sorry. He got me an audition to play cowbell. Wow. Yeah. You must be honored. Well, I mean, I was, but then the thing was, he never even told the band.
So I think I made out with this greasy fat guy for no reason. Gross. He was throwing his weight around trying to get her a kid. Is that right? Yeah, he was literally throwing his weight around. So you made out with him? I made out with him. How embarrassing. I know. And in doing so. I missed the deadline to play my own music because I was all wrapped up in the Blue Oster Colt. Oh, wow. Do you know how to play cowbell? I mean, I guess you could. Yeah, I mean, come on. Yeah. And we all know we need more of it. Yeah, exactly. That's all I know about it. Just bang the thing with a jump stick. Plus, I mean, they need a chick up there, so. Do they? Yeah. Okay. They probably do. They're a little old. Yeah. They could use a fresh look. So could she. All right. I think we get that. I just decided to kind of branch out now creatively. Are you? Yeah, you know, I never want to really just typecast myself anyway as a recording artist. But that's what, you are a recording artist. Yeah, but you know, it's what happens when that falls through. I mean, music is a dying medium. Yeah, is it? No, isn't it a growing medium? You know, the new bit these days is to really be like a triple threat. Yeah. You know, like sing, dance, act. Are you dancing and acting?
Uh, yeah. Yeah. I grew up doing all that stuff. Oh, wow. Cool. Yeah. I, you know, I take pictures. I, um, graphic design. Um, all that. I got a webcam. So thinking about doing some sort of YouTube blog, blog, blog, blog, blog. Yeah. That should be cool. Yeah. But anyway, so, uh, next week I'm auditioning for the Bing Crosby stage at the San Diego fair. Yeah. And, um, you know, I'd be happy to tell you what I do, but. I think my friend Peanut here can tell you all about it. Is that what's in the box? Yeah. Isn't that right, Peanut? Oh, my God. What? You have a freaking puppet? Hey, my hair is crazy. What? What a chance to show. You have a puppet. What is happening? It's a dummy, Woods. I didn't know. No, no, no. You're a dummy. It's a wooden doll. You're a ventriloquist. First of all, I'm not a dummy. That's the worst ventriloquist I've ever seen. Ever? Really, Woods? Yeah, really. How many ventriloquists have you even seen? You know what? None. Are you going to let him talk to you like that, Peanut? He called you a doll. What? How dare you talk to me like that? Oh, my God. Mikey is on the floor right now.
He's out of his chair. He's on the floor. He's rolling. Oh, my God. Don't pee in your pants, Mike. What the heck? Eskimo, where did you find this doll? It's actually, I made it. You made it. You whittled it. Yeah. No. Your lips are moving. You need some water? Eskimo, listen. Here's some water. Seriously. Here, here's some water. Listen to me. When you do that, you can't move. You can't move your lips. I'm not. Oh, you are. You are. What are you talking about? You're moving your lips more than you do when you normally talk, actually. My head hurts. You're supposed to move the dummy's mouth. The dummy's mouth isn't opening or closing. Look, I'm working it out. You guys are seeing it firsthand.
Dude, ventriloquism is rad. I'm sure it is. It is rad. Please nobody make a t-shirt that says ventriloquism is rad. Dude, it is. It comes from Greece. I bet you didn't know that, Mikey. No. And it means literally to speak from the stomach. You know, that's what I do. I sing from the heart and I speak from the stomach. Yes, you did, Mikey! Yes, she does. Look, Mikey, I'm a ventriloquist, too. Hi, Mikey. It's Woodsy. You're using your hands. Your hand's mouth is opening and closing, though. Hey, it's Woodsy in the morning. First of all, you're using your hands. I don't even have a dummy. It's not a puppet. It's not a puppet. Elmo is a puppet. I don't even have a puppet. Aren't they called dummies? They're called dummies. Yeah, they're called dummies. Eskimo, you're not supposed to adjust your waistband with the mouth of the puppet. You're not supposed to do that. You've got to remember that it's on your hand. It's not a glove. I haven't figured everything out yet. When's your audition? Saturday? Thursday? Is it?
You've got a lot of work to do. Where did you find out how to be a ventriloquist? I watched some videos on YouTube. That's cool. And then I practiced in the mirror, and I think I got it down pretty good. Maybe you get back to the meat laboratory. Maybe you take your dummy and your dumb hands. That's the bubble waters, everybody. We'll be back. San Diego summer watering rules are now in effect. You want to get a ticket? Yes, because you're probably going to. I'll tell you what you can do to avoid it next. Nick to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

Zienna. When they're real, you know. Woods. I'm a napper. I love to nap now. Lauren. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. And Jay. I love that.
Sappy movie. On FM 94.9. Hello, baby, hello. Haven't seen your face for a while. Have you quit doing time for me? Or are you still the same spoiled child? I said hello. I used to work at a station here in San Diego called KCBQ. And this was the song that we played. Or am I just the last? It's Elton John Harmony. Welcome back to Mikey's show. And watering rules are going into effect in San Diego. Now, here's the deal. I've said this before. If there's a rule that says you got to do this, okay, you know, I'll abide by it. It's going to be difficult because it's probably going to involve resetting timers and things like that that water my, you know, tomatoes. But okay. You know, I'll follow rules and everything. I'm going to ask you guys a question.
Can you tell me when it's okay to water your grass when it was before? Because there was a rule from November to May, and we're done with that one now, but do any of you know what that rule was? At night. I don't have any grass. After 10. No, I know what it was. It was three times a week, and it was before, gosh, it was like 10 a.m. or something like that. You could not water between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. three days a week. only for seven minutes at a time. Wow. That was the rule. You could only water seven minutes. Seven minutes at a time, three days a week, and you couldn't do it between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. You know why? Why? Because if you did, it would evaporate too quickly. Yep, exactly. Because of the heat. Yes. Well, as of June 1st, yesterday, there's a new... New lawn rule that took effect. You can water from 3 a.m. to 3.05 a.m. Yes. Every day. Only on the weekends. One day. No. Residents can water their lawns before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. three days a week from June through October and for no more than 10 minutes at a time. We're good. 10 p.m. So you get more.
Leeway this time. So you have to do it before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. You can only do it three days a week. And each time you water your lawn, it can be for 10 minutes. How do you water all your junk in 10 minutes? How do you do that? Well, sprinklers. You got stuff, though. In 10 minutes? 10 minutes? Where do you live? Green acres? Maybe. Botanical gardens? We have a lot of lawn. We have a lot of grass at our house. We've got a football field. We'll put one of those spray thingies on it. Do the hand water bit? During the summer, your lawn takes a beating from the heat, and it needs a lot of water. I don't care about lawns at all. I'll tell you what. I stayed at my sister's house the other night, woke up in the morning, went to my car on godly hour, and their sprinkler systems pointed to water the sidewalk. So many people are like that. People don't know because it comes on at that time. Nobody knows. Well, we should be checking it. What are you supposed to do? Go out there at 3 in the morning? Yeah, that's good. I was living in a house with a dirt front yard. I could care less about lawns. Todd is so anal about our grass. We just went to Home Depot. He bought all new sprinklers and installed them himself. What? Yeah, but Woodsy, what about when you got your own place and you want to have a yard and feel like a dad? I don't care. You will. I didn't care, but I feel like a dad now. I like it. Now I'm like, oh, it's my lawn. I grew it. Yeah. I love my lush greenery. Now there's so many more things I would rather care about. Don't you want to play catch with your boy? Yeah.
You can play on the dirt. Gross. Come on, man. No, I play first. You play infield. You're playing on the dirt. Don't you want your kid to be able to enjoy a little slip and slide? Yeah. Yeah, you can do it on the dirt. No. Covered in mud. That's a blast. So, let me ask you. The dirt. Any of your significant others ever, has their immaturity ever caused a scene in your life? You better call my, get my wife. I think mine has. Get Jamie on the phone. I wonder how many would. She won't have any. How about you, Lauren? I think my immaturity. Yeah. I don't know if I talked about this on the air about wanting to be dipped. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She was, it was a really bad fight that she got into with her boyfriend because they were at a bar and he refused, refused. To dip me. Refused to dip her. Would not dip her. Yeah. And I started crying. You're like, what? Telling all his friends. Just dip me. The jerk he was. Yeah. Got kicked out of that bar later that night. Weird. Why did you want him to dip you? Yeah, why? So bad. Was it romantic? Yeah, I was being silly and I just wanted to be whisked away. Yeah, just dip me. Just come on, have fun. Every guy listening right now has dated that girl. 100%. And maybe it wasn't dip me, but it was something that she wanted at that moment that was cute or funny or blah, blah, blah. How many times have you been with a drunk girlfriend that goes, kiss me?
You're like, no. You're like, no. Oh, I'm sure I've said it. Why not? Totally. Smooch. Hey, if you got lips, you'd be smooching. You know what I'm talking about? And it's just, it's so drunk and annoying that you don't want to. Because it's so drunk and annoying. Yeah, they're on your nerves. Kiss me. Kiss me. And you don't want to, and you know, you know that they're right there. And so you're like. And I don't want to, but I also don't want what will happen if I refuse. The scene. The scene. If I don't do it, you're going to make a scene. We call it the L-O-B. We do not. The L-O-B. So here's what you do. You just got L-O-B'd. Let me show you how it goes down. So you go, and they go, no, kiss me real. Kill me, kill me, kill me. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Kiss me real. Kill me. And you're like, are you? Are you kidding me right now? Come on, are you embarrassed? This is my nightmare. Are you embarrassed? I'm not embarrassed. Just kiss me then. I just did, babe. I just kissed you. Kiss me at home. I already did. I already did. No, no, no. Come on, people are looking. Right here on my lips again. People are looking right now. Come on, I'm going to close my eyes. Babe. Do it. Shut up. People are looking. Dude, kiss me. Babe. Oh, my God. Come on, here. I'll kiss you first. No, don't, don't. Yeah, I'll kiss you here.
Let me kiss you behind your ear. Don't do that. Come on, let me kiss you behind your ear. Babe, babe, babe, come here, come here, come here. And you walk her over to the side. You just get her out of the way of people because everybody's like starting to look. Babe, do not do that. It's embarrassing me. Nobody cares. Everybody does. They're looking. Nobody cares but you. I know because people are looking at us. They're looking at us. My skin's growing. I can't even listen. I can't even listen. I can't even listen. Okay, okay, okay, babe. I'll kiss you. I'll kiss you. I'll kiss you. Dead on. Dead on. Then she don't want it. Don't kiss me. Don't touch me. It's the worst. It's the worst. Oh, wow. Women. We've all been there. Sienna, you've probably done it too. Kiss me or whatever it is. Whatever. Maybe it's dip me. Maybe it's kiss me. Maybe it's whatever. How about this one? Motorboat me. Pull over. Pull over this car right now. I'm getting out. Like, no, no, I'm not going to pull the car over. No, I'm going to get out or I'm going to jump out if you don't pull this car over. Oh, I've done it. Yeah. I've done the, uh, see you later. Yeah. You're between San Diego and Las Vegas.
Yeah. See you later. I'm going to miss you. Oh, my goodness. I've done the get out of the car bit, too. I pulled the I'm going to miss you card. It didn't work. You've gotten out of the car? Yeah. Made them get out of the car? No, I've gotten out of the car. He's gotten out of the car. Been like, F this. Yeah. Door slam, walk away. I can see Woods doing that. Oh, yeah. Todd is famous for causing a scene when driving. You know, someone messes up or something. He's like. on the horn and everyone is looking at our car. He rolls down the window. He's screaming, middle fingers up. I'm sitting in the passenger seat like, this isn't happening. This isn't happening. This isn't happening. I'm not here. I can't duck down enough. What does Jamie do while you're flipping? She's mortified. Dear, I'm in the car. I'm in the car, dear. I'm like, great. It's the worst when they do that. You're just like, precious cargo, precious cargo. Precious cargo. Yes, I say that too. Precious cargo bit. You have precious cargo in the car. Has your significant other's immaturity ever caused a scene? You know what my favorite bit to do to her is? What? I do it everywhere we go. I'll put on like,
Black Sabbath on my iPod as loud as it'll go. And I'll roll both windows down. I'll be blasting a signal. We'll be pulling into the parking lot and it's like... Do you lock the windows so she can't roll hers up? She's sitting there like, this is the man that I married. She's a saint. What are we, 14 right now? Everywhere we go, dude. The windows are down. Sabbath is on and it's crazy. You have to see Woods with his wife, Jamie, because... She's so quiet. Uh-huh. She's so quiet. I know. And she's so shy. And Woods is... She is in the beginning. Yeah, exactly. She's in the beginning. When you scratch the surface, she's shy and she's polite. I'm not saying she's not polite, but I think she's got a lot more energy than we've seen. Oh, yeah. Well, Woodsy... Woodsy is so, you know, Woodsy. On me. He's woodsy. You kind of have to be a little bit subdued when you're hanging out with this guy. Yeah, for sure. Or is it like one of those things where like one of you guys has an on night and is like that, and the other one takes a backseat? It's funny because I get home.
I'm all about it. I'm all about just hanging out with her. And I make her laugh, and she loves that. And I do goofy stuff, and I make funny noises, and I imitate Lucky barking. But she's silly, too. Because that's how Lucky barks. Slazer. He'll be at the front door, and he'll go, like that. And so I do it when he does it. Slazer. She's on the ground. Did you get his bark thing removed? No, but he gets so upset. It's so funny that you say that, because it seems like. when guys can make their women laugh, a lot of times it has to do with the pets. Yeah. Rebecca used to laugh because I'd imitate the cat talking like a Frenchman. And I would go... Oh my gosh, you used to always do this. Yeah, I used to go... Do it again. I used to go that the cat was a spy and that the only reason he was there would just kill us. And so that we would come home and we would hear, yeah, they found the one that just left. Yeah. The fat one just got, hang on a second. Meow, meow, meow. Meow, meow, meow, meow. He would meow, fake meow whenever you were around. Right, when I was home. Meow, meow, meow. And then I walk out of the room. Okay, he left that room. What I'm going to do is put something in his burrito because he eats them so much. It will kill him if I put it in his burrito. See, that slayed Rebecca. Yeah, she killed her. M1 Rude from Chula Vista. Are you there, Rude?
Yeah, I'm right here. Go ahead, man. Hi. Well, I don't have all the details because I've been married for 16 years. And this happened like when we had been married for two months. We were like two months into our marriage. And I just remember my wife started crying. And I was really, really upset. And I told her, you know what? If you don't shut up, I'm just going to kick you out of the car. And it got worse. I mean, she just started screaming. I remember I leaned over, opened her door. One foot on the gas pedal and my right leg on her, trying to kick her out of the car. And you had your foot on the gas pedal? Yeah. Holy cow, dude. That's jail time, I think. That was 16 years ago. And, you know, obviously, you know, I was pushing. I was shoving her out with my right foot. And, but, you know, she didn't get off. Sound like a gentleman. Crazy. I'm crazy for feeling. A little intense. I'm glad you guys are all good now. Hopefully there's no more of those encounters. He's taken. You guys are still together? Shaking ears. Wow. And you don't behave this way anymore, right? Only with my kids now. No, I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I mean, to have his back, sometimes you always have those moments where you're like...
At some point in your life. You guys ever had the knockdown drag out bit? Like I've done this thing where I've thrown stuff. Oh, yeah. Oh, dude. It's a whirling cyclone sometimes. Not anymore. Yeah, I can imagine that. Man, I used to be a lunatic. Rebecca and I were silent assassins. When we used to go at it, we were the silent assassins. Oh, that reminds me. So we would do the terrible stuff, but it was always very, you know, composed. In order. I remember. I've been getting so much trouble. Kim and I, when we were really young and first dating, we were both just hammered, which is always a good combination. Yeah. We were on fire. For some reason, we were having a fight. We were jealous of something. She comes running at me. I don't know what she was going to do, and I just kind of stand there. I'm just dumbfounded. She runs flat into me because she comes up to my chest. She runs flat into me and then falls back, and her shoes go flying up in the air. Oh, no. And I'm just standing there, and people are looking at me like I knocked her down. Oh, my gosh. It's cool. It's cool. It's cool. And she was laughing at that point. Oh, my gosh. She ran into you like you were a screen door. Oh, my gosh. Holy cow. I forgot about that. That's nuts. Wow. Everyone has those moments. Well, yeah. You have a moment where you're... But I'm talking about, too, the immaturity in...
The Home Depot. You got a husband that's immature and you're at Home Depot and he goes, boop, in the middle of the aisle. Oh, that's my husband everywhere we go. I think I referenced this before, but I was at a restaurant with Matt and this woman was calling her son's name. Oh, yes. And she's like, I mean, honestly, I'm not kidding. And she's standing up behind him. She's got, he has his back to her. And the little kid's like, like running around and going to, trying to leave the restaurant and keeps looking back at her like he's going to do it. Yeah. Instead of walking over there to him, 12 feet, she said, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden, Aiden. Wow. So in my head, I'm like, wow, really? Aiden, Aiden. So Matt goes, Aiden. Oh, my gosh. And didn't at all turn around. Like, just kept eating. And, like, in his, you know, his face is, like, fuming. But he just keeps going. And so she looked dead at me in the face to be. And is like, really? You didn't do it? Want to go? And I just looked at her and went. And then I said loudly enough so she could hear, Matt, that wasn't the most polite thing you've ever done. I said it so she could hear. And secretly I was like glad that he did it because it hopefully proved a point to her. I did it Sunday. You did? Yeah. That same thing? Yeah. Really? Mike. I know. I was at Stater Brothers. Stattler Brothers. Stattler Brothers. My dad calls us Stattler Brothers. I was at Stater Brothers. And this woman.
It made me hurt, sad, and fearful. This woman was on her cell phone and she was going like this. Jackson, why are you calling me right now? I'm at the grocery store. Jackson, Jackson, I'm at the grocery store. Do not come. And I had walked into the, and I'm like, I knew she was talking to her kid. Right. And I'm in the aisle and I'm looking for bottles of Fiji water. Weird. And I go, and I go, Jackson. You did it. Yeah. Did she look at you? She stopped. I love that. I love it. I just, you know, all I thought was like, and I guess I shouldn't have done that. You should have. You thought to yourself, what would Woodsy do? No, I didn't think of what Woodsy would do. WWWD. Yeah. I felt bad for Jackson, man.
I felt bad. Jackson's getting his ear knocked in from his mom. And I was also like, hey, man, like this is a grocery store. I know I shouldn't have said Jackson. I like it. I like it, too. You know, part of my bit with Jamie is to my goal. My goal is to mortify her. Everywhere we go, I get such a... I see him do that. We do that to each other, though. We bust on each other a lot. How does she mortify you? She never mortifies me, but she busts on me a lot. She'll make her little... I haven't seen her do it. You say it, but I haven't seen it. I really want to see her doing it. She looks like a very sneaky assassin. Oh, she'll get you, dude. He got her the other day. I'll say it. I'll say it. Say it. Say it. What did you do to your poor wife? It was funny. We were at Mike's house for Memorial Day, Mike's birthday. We were, for some reason, we got to talking about astrology. And what makes, you know, what, like, Mikey was like, hey, I'm a...
Gemini. And I said, oh, let me pull it up on your iPad and let's see the characteristics of a Gemini. Sounds like a fun conversation. Well, so we were... Well, I told him, I'm out on astrology because I think it's creepy. And he goes, well, I'm just going to see what it says about you. Yeah. So I did. Shut it. He's giving me the bromance. Really? Really. It's a bromance because he... We were sitting there with our wives. Really? What's your sign? We're sitting there with our wives. So anyway, I get to the characteristics of Libra, which is Jamie. And I start ripping through. Turn the music off, Jamie. Yeah, shut it off. She's a Libra? She's a Libra. Oh, that makes a lot of sense. Yeah. And so I start going through the characteristics. I'm like. passionate, very balancing, must have two glasses of wine every night before bed. And she daggered me so bad. She turned so bright red, first of all. She daggered me real good. And she gave the daggers. I was like, I'm going to pay for that later. You did. I did. You did.
I thought you were going to say that you farted or something hilarious. I do that stuff all the time. But we bust on each other. We were in the store that one day, and I was trying on clothes. I walked around the corner, and I go, and had the biggest burp. And she goes, And some guy was looking at me like, really, pal? Did you just let that fly? And she wants to crawl under the floor. I wonder if I've, because you know we're different that way. I don't know that I've ever done, you know, Rebecca doesn't do that, but I wonder if I've ever embarrassed Rebecca. I'm sure. I'm sure I have, right? Look at your job, what we talk about every day. Mexican spaghetti, hello. Oh, she's mortified. By Mexican spaghetti. Mortified. Oh. Come on. She is mortified. Cockamamie idea. She's mortified. Jake, call her and ask her. You don't have to put her on the air, but just call her and ask her if I've ever embarrassed her in public. Maybe we put her on the air. All right. Nah, only if it's something. I don't think I have, though. I don't think I do. I bet you have. Maybe back in the old Mac days. Really? Oh, yes. Yeah. Maybe with a little sippy sip. Maybe it was a sippy sip. After a couple pops. Yeah. Oh, I just thought of much. What?
When Todd and I first started dating, you know, it was like the Hyatt or the Hilton or something downtown had those big New Year's parties. And we had a hotel room. Oh, gosh. And one of his friends was in town from Ohio. And they came prepared to stock this hotel room with everything you could imagine to drink. And when he pulled up to the hotel right in the front, valet is there. People are checking in. Everyone's real excited for the big party tonight. 30 beer cans literally fall out of the door. They're like full. They hadn't been drinking or anything like that. And I just remember sitting there like, am I really about to get out of the car with these guys right now? Yeah. That's bad. Everyone looked at me. I was like, this is the worst thing ever. This is the worst thing ever. This is the worst thing ever. Yeah. We're here. We're here. We made it. California. California, here we go. Because he had a little tiny car. 570-1949. 949mikey at gmail.com if you want to text us because you're too embarrassed. But what have you ever done that has embarrassed your significant other, caused a scene? Or vice versa. Or vice versa. So many. Lauren wanted to be dipped. She had a boyfriend that called out Aiden. Sienna, did you do something really embarrassing?
Mine are always crying. I'm a crier. Did you cry in public? Well, so when we went, the most recent movie I think we went to see was with Jenna and my brother and my mom and Todd and I. We went to see How to Train Your Dragon, which is like a G movie. You guys ever see non-cartoons? I love cartoons. So then we're sitting in the theater. Theater's packed, opening weekend. Who's the one person bawling in the theater? Are you sobbing? Like making noise. Todd's looking at me like, oh my God. Well, yeah, because people are doing the subtle look-up because they want to see who's doing it. Yeah, they got to see it. They're doing the subtle look-up. Even Jenna's like, quiet. I can't help it. This is a good movie. But you're embarrassing. She's pregnant. She's allowed to be hormonal. Oh my gosh, I couldn't control it. I was embarrassed myself. Oh, Rebecca embarrassed me. I'll tell the story how Rebecca embarrassed me. We were buying our house and we were at the...
We were at the model homes. Do you know this story? No. Do you guys know this story? I'm dying to know it, though. It is amazing. We were at the model homes of our house, buying our house, and we were there filling out the paperwork. And there was this woman. I'll never forget this lady. Her name is Sally. And she was an older lady. She was probably early 60s, mid-60s. Very done up. Extremely put together. Business suit. Cougar? I guess. Business suit. Perfect hair done well. Gorgeous makeup. Everything perfect. She was hot. It wasn't that she was hot. The point of it was that she was classy. She classed it up. Very professional and very classy. Sabretooth tiger? Sabretooth tiger. We're filling out the paperwork. You guys know my wife is sort of the younger version of that. My wife is put together, very composed. Very classy and demure. Demure, whatever.
And so the lady says, let me get up and I'm going to go grab the last couple of documents for you guys and I'll be right back. And what they had done was they had remodeled the garage of the model home into an office. And so they had sort of made a lot of makeshift changes. One of the changes that they made was that they had a fax machine there. And because it was done on the fly, the. cord that plugged the fax machine in, plugged into the wall, then ran underneath this woman's desk and plugged in behind her. And so when the woman stood up to go get the documents, she caught her foot on the cord and flew. Like she flew in the air. This woman flew in the air. Papers are like come raining down like confetti and she Plants on the floor, but doesn't just plant. She sort of sprawls. Oh, wow. And Rebecca. Oh, gosh. Loses it. Amazing. Oh, no. And starts laughing, like, hysterically. And I have.
the opposite reaction. I'm like, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. You know, like, because I think she hurt herself. I'm like, oh my gosh. And the lady gets up and her hair's like all frazzled and like all out of place and her makeup's all messed up and she's like all, you know, and she's got a run in her stocking. She's beet red, I bet. She's beet red. And Rebecca's like... And I and I look at Rebecca like this is so out of character for Rebecca. But like slapstick humor kills Rebecca for whatever reason. When people get hurt and falls downstairs like that's hysterical. And so she and Rebecca is bright red because she realizes I can't stop. I can't stop. And she's like laughing so hard. And so this woman gets up and like leaves the room and Rebecca's. dying laughing as she's gone, right? So the lady comes back. What did you say to her? I'm like, babe, what are you doing? How did you hold it in? I was scared to death. I was concerned about this woman. I went over and I was like, are you okay? And she's like, yeah. And I go, are you hurt? She goes, no. And Rebecca's like...
I know. It was so weird. It was so weird. It was so weird. I thought that that was in everyone, that, like, someone, you have to laugh at least a little bit. Oh, I was freaked out. Now, had she tripped? Mikey probably would laugh. But the fact that she went, spam! And that the papers flew. That's what got Rebecca by the way. It was the papers flying in the air. And that was, I mean, in retrospect, that was kind of funny. But it was that. It was that right there. Exactly what was just there. All the papers in the air. And it made Rebecca. It tickled her like you couldn't believe. And so the lady comes back, and I pull this bit. Because the lady comes back, and she's sitting there, and she's filling out the paperwork and everything. And Rebecca's composed now, and she's composed. But every once in a while, Rebecca would go, and, like, remember it and start. And the lady was like, ha, ha, ha. And then. She probably did not like Rebecca. It got to a point where the lady stopped going, ha, ha, ha, ha. And Rebecca would, like, remember it and laugh. Oh, my gosh. And the lady goes. I remember so clearly. She goes, okay. Like, okay. That's enough. As soon as she did that, it skeeved us both out. And now, and this was old Mike, I was like, okay, now it's on. So I would look at Rebecca and I would go, I'd give her this look. Get her to laugh again. And she'd start laughing again. And I was purposeful. And then when she would do it, I would go, seriously, I'd go, oh my gosh, Sally. I am so sorry.
I'm so, so sorry. And Rebecca was looking at me like, you're so awful. Like, you're so awful. And I would go, oh, my gosh, babe, this is so embarrassing. Stop. How could you laugh? You're being inappropriate. Yeah, you're being inappropriate. How could you laugh at Sally this way? I guarantee you Sally thinks about that like once a week. Absolutely. So this is like the closing papers on your house? Oh, yeah. Yeah. I would have been like, I don't need this house. I'm out. I'm out. And I mean, I kept doing, I would up the ante like Rebecca would do it later. And Rebecca says, like, she goes, you don't understand. Like, she goes, the saddest thing to me in my life was losing my grandfather. She goes, I was thinking about that to try to get myself. She goes, I was doing anything I could in my, and I'd give her the look. I'd be like, and she'd lose it again. And I would go. Sally, honestly, I just... I'm mortified. My word. I can't get over the behavior of my wife right now. It was the greatest. That's amazing. It was the greatest. I talked to Rebecca. She said the story. She said she didn't really remember too many stories where you embarrassed her, but the one with the spa where you kept flashing everybody. Your junk was exposed. My junk was exposed. The robe didn't fit. The robe didn't. I was mortally obese. Yeah, I was mortally obese. And my robe didn't fit.
And I was sitting there, and in front of me on the couch, a couple of women looked like white as ghosts. Oh, my gosh. And Rebecca came and sat down with them and looked at me and went, and motioned for me. And I looked down and went, oh! How did you not feel like a cool breeze? I did, but I thought, I'm fat. I'm in Hawaii, I'm feeling good. When you're fat, you're always feeling a cold breeze. Amazing. Write that down. I know. Leave fat. You're always feeling it. I mean, I had on a robe. I had on a robe that for me might as well have gone on a Barbie doll. And I'm like, of course it feels like there's a breeze. It feels like I'm not wearing a robe. This report brought to you by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Southern California has a water shortage helped conserve by limiting showers to five minutes. That saves 300 gallons every month. What more can you do? Find out at BeWaterWise.com. On the 56 westbound right after Carmel Valley Road, there is an accident over on the right shoulder causing a backup. Also, be careful on the 94 eastbound ramp to College Avenue. There's a dog in the middle of lanes on that College Avenue off-ramp. Doesn't take long for those guys to get hit. Fifteen northbound Friars rode an accident. Three cars involved there tying things up. This report, it is brought to you by the California Association of Realtors. Are you looking to buy your first home? The California Association of Realtors has been leading the way for first-time buyers for more than 100 years. Call a realtor today. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. East San Diego, a Lincoln financial media station. The new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Coolest opening montage in a motion picture. Apocalypse Now? Mm-hmm. You still haven't borrowed Hearts of Darkness. Mm-mm. I want to. I need to watch Apocalypse Now again, though. But thanks for that book, by the way. You finished? Giving me nightmares. I'm like three quarters of the way through. 4,000 Days. Holy cow. It's called 4,000 Days My Life in a Bangkok Prison. Mm-hmm. It's terrifying. Terrifying. You guys know that joke of the capital of Thailand? What?
Bang. Cock. I don't get it. Punch somebody. I don't know, but I liked watching her do the motion of punching somebody. Punch somebody where the sun don't shine. Gotcha. Oh, boy. Oh, my God. Booty dancer. Lauren just turned into a fly girl. It does. Your milkshake brings the boys to the yard? Uh-huh. Repugnance. Well, here's the deal. Repugnance. What are you talking about? Thanks, boys. Not you. Not you, this person. Kelly's, as Mike called it. Mike said, who sings it? The Kelly's? It's the Kelly's. No, Mike, that'll be Kelly's. You're supposed to be speaking out of school. Kelly's. He didn't want to pull the curtain back. The Kelly's, right? The Kelly's. Yeah, they're Irish band. Kelly's. My name is Shakespeare. Greetings, other boys. We are married to Nas.
She's married to Naz? Yeah. That's Naz, right? Oh, gosh. I like this show. Well, the deal is that... Irish milkshake. The top three. It's the top three. Most unhealthy. Most unhealthy milkshakes. All milkshakes. Newsflash. Newsflash. No, some of them are worse. Okay. There's a healthy one? No, but can I give you one that's worse than a vanilla? What? You know what's probably worse than vanilla or chocolate? What? Strawberry. Nope. Or strawberry. What? I think you're going to be right. Reese's peanut butter. Yeah, the milkshakes that have Reese's peanut butter or the milkshakes that have Oreo cookie in it. Oh, it's so good. I love Oreo cookie. Have you guys ever gotten a blizzard from Dairy Queen? Dude, I grew up in Texas. You're an American. They just celebrated their 25th birthday. And the first time they gave it to me, I guess you're supposed to turn it upside down to show how... like how thick it is yeah that's so he like makes you know teenagers like oh what do you want and then he like takes it and just one swift motion just dumps it like it's gonna and I go oh my god and he's like like just deadpan looking at me and my friend that's with me is like that's what they do they try to show you how thick it is yeah but you're like
Well, yeah, but because he was so unenthusiastic, I thought he was quitting his job. That's like if you put money in the tip jar at Cold Stone, they're supposed to sing, and they'll be like... Thank you for coming to Cold Stone today. Kill me, I hate my job. You know, when I was in high school, we had to act like we were happy. I know. Everyone's so... Kurt Cobain, dude, he messed it up for everybody. What happened with teenagers when now the whole bit is, welcome to Tugas, can I get you something? I was in Subway yesterday, yesterday for lunch, and I walked over and the guy's like, I go, hey, how you doing? I'm usually a pretty cheerful guy. You guys know that? I'm like, hey, man, how you doing? He goes, he nodded. Head nodded. No words. Chin. Chin. What can I get you? That upsets me for the rest of the day. So here was me. Hey, Luke, how you doing? Yeah, here was me. Yeah. Hey. And then I got super nice. Let me have a cheesesteak. And then I was like, hey, thanks, my man. You have a great day. See, I would have been like, I guess I'll just have a number one. No, I go above and beyond. I was at a place. I won't say where. But I was at a place this last weekend. Won't you? I won't. Because I don't know if they're a sponsor. Okay. And then the guy goes, the guy goes, yeah, dude.
My cousin's turning 21 this weekend. I'm going to get him effed up, dude. To you. To me and the guy he was working with. He probably thought you were one of his brothers. He thought you were one of his cousins. Sounds like your nephew, Mikey. And I go, how old are you? And he goes, me? No, the mouse in your pocket. Yeah, you. Yes, you. By you, I mean you. The person that I just said, how old are you? Are you? It'd be funny to have a mouse in your pocket. And he actually pulls a mouse out of his pocket. He's like, oh, Squeaks is only two months old. He can't talk yet. He goes, I'm 21, dude. And I go, oh, okay, that's cool. He goes, I'm going to tell you this story. I'll tell you this story. You'll think. This isn't true. This is true. He goes, I'm 21, dude. I drove a Mustang. Wow. Big timer. I go, oh, cool. He goes, that's it right over there. He had a cool looking Mustang. Him and Eskimo Blue Water. Yeah. He did. He had a cool looking Mustang. That's really weird that he said that. I know. Just like out of nowhere. He goes, I drove a Mustang. And I go, cool. He goes, it's that one right there, dude. And I look and it's like this orange Mustang. I'm like, oh, that's cool. Is your name Bethel?
But he did. I mean, went full on into the. But anyway, OK, back to the milkshakes. OK, so I'm going to tell you guys. So depressing. Three of them, right? OK, I'm going to give you I'm going to start with the number one because I'm going to start on top. Number one, worst one. Yes. Now, this milkshake is equivalent to eating 68 strips of bacon or 30 chocolate chip cookies. Holy cow. This list was compiled by Men's Health Magazine, just so you know. It's legit. All right. It comes from Cold Stone. Are you kidding? It comes from Cold Stone. Oh, no. It's the peanut butter and chocolate milkshake. It's made with peanut butter, chocolate ice cream, and milk, 68 grams of saturated fat, 153 grams of sugar, 2,010 calories. Holy cow. 68 strips of bacon. That's crazy. Imagine sitting there eating 68 strips of bacon. Oh, gross. It's so good. Listen, honestly, your body has to go, are you kidding me? Yeah. Eject. Eject. I'll talk wrong. Weird. That's awful. Peanut butter and chocolate. I want it. It sounds so good, though. Is there anything, I mean, is there anything better than...
A vanilla shake with Oreo cookies ground up into it? A chocolate shake with whipped cream on top gets me pretty good. 58 pieces of bacon sounds pretty good. That sounds good. Vanilla shake, period. So good. Just leave it alone. I need to try a malt. I've never even had a malt. I didn't know what the difference was. How would a root beer float? Delicious. Overrated. That was nuts. Root beer floats? Overrated. Delicious. Oh, get with that. Overrated. This is what I want to say to that drink. Make up your mind. What are you? No way. And quit sweating in my root beer. It's heaven. Maybe you drink regular root beer and not clear, all preservative-free. You're preaching to the wrong choir. We all started talking about this. Sienna and I yesterday were like, wow, how good would it be to have a root beer float? Woodsy goes, by the way. I hate you. What was that disgusting thing that you were serving at the party? And I go, oh, my. I go, did you? I didn't say it like that. I go, did you drink that? I didn't say it like that. And he goes, yeah. And I go, dude, it's like kerosene. I go, what do you drink those? And Lauren goes, are you talking about Hanson's? They're delicious. They're delicious. And I'm like, ugh.
First of all, I don't talk like that. They talk about Hanson's soda. Hansons are fantastic. They are good. Weird that those two like them. Of course. I've had Hanson's soda before. They're sweetened with sugar cane. Like, give me a break, okay? Is it like a different kind or is it just a regular Hanson? Hey, you know what? If you're going to drink a soda, drink a frigging soda. It is a soda. Is it? All natural. It's soda. I think carbonation is what makes it a soda. Mmm, good licorice. It's delicious. It's great. Okay, I was trying to tell you. There are... So gross. Some of their fruity combinations are like, I'm like, eh, I don't really even like it. Mandarin lime. That's what he drank. I don't even like those two together, but they're... Their root beer is delicious. What's wrong with it? Have you had Fresca? Have you ever had Fresca? Yeah, disgusting. Grapefruit soda. You know what's better? Tab. Tab is better. Tab is good. Root beer float is like ice cream sweating into your root beer. It's pretty good. A&W root beer. Remember those? Mugs were icy already. I like the mug root beer. Old fashioned. Stay away from the dads, though.
Oh, it's awful. Dad tastes like dirt. Ew, yeah. It tastes like dirt. Yeah. As we run every sponsor in town. I know. Oh, well. Oh, whatever. Do we really have a commercial? Hi, I'm Dad for Dad's Root Beer. Are we really running that? You know what I mean? Hello. Hello. This is Catherine Hepburn for Dad's Root Beer. Oh. Really? Yeah. We should. Oh, my gosh. Dad's Root Beer. Some sponsors, I think it's okay to say it. Maybe they'd sell more if they have one of those. Called into our GM's office today. He's like, you know, dad's just spent $250,000. No, dad just called. Yeah, dad just called. My dad's on the line? Yeah, dad's on the line. Oh, my gosh. Not your dad. Dad. No, I'm talking about my actual dad's root beer. What I meant, my dad is a home brewer. M1 Hawk. M1 Hawk. He brews his own root beer at home in a sock. Ew. That's what dads taste like. Oh, gross. Oh, my stomach hurts. It's so gross. I don't know about the second worst milkshake. Not really. What is it? It's from Smoothie King. Smoothie King? Do we have that? Yeah. Yeah. Where's Smoothie King? I think they're like at airports and stuff. In where? Denver? Detroit? I know I've been to Smoothie King. I've never heard of Smoothie King.
Oh, my head hurts. A good thing I haven't. Well, this... Okay, well, this smoothie's as bad as eating 20 Reese's peanut butter cups, chocolate, and peanut butter snacks. You know what's so filthy? I've probably had 20 Reese's peanut butter cups in one day. I've had 20 nuggets at a time. Yeah. I will eat 20 nuggets right now. Can you eat a full-sized king, king-sized Snicker? Yeah. You can? You know that. Who can't eat a full-sized Snickers bar? A king. King size. What's the difference? They're giant ones. Have you ever seen those giant? Oh, whoa. And they're like this bigger. Yeah. I see the ones like in the vending machine. No problem. BS. No, you can't. I'm going to be bouncing off the walls the rest of the day, but I can eat it. You could have a whole king size? I could take it down, yeah. And you could finish it. In it, yeah. And you could eat the snickering. And the second worst smoothie from Smoothie King is the Peanut Power Plus Grape. Gross. Peanut power plus grape. Who would have peanut and grape together? I don't know. It sounds gross. The third one, though, is the equivalent of eating 13 of the hot apple pies from McDonald's. Oh, gross. Eating 13 hot apple pies from McDonald's. It's the large, triple-thick chocolate shake. Hey, obese Mikey, did you ever eat any of those fried apple pies?
By a couple, you mean a couple 13 packs, right? Can I have two 13 packs to go? Have you guys had the McFlurry, though? Yeah. They're really good. They are good. The McFlurries are good. Oh, gosh. Jenna likes them. Woods is disassembling the studio. Woods loves obese Mikey. What happened? What? You broke things. We're out of the... Out of the apple pie's mic. You ate them all this morning, sir. How do you know that's me? Because nobody else orders two 13-packs of apple pies, Mike. Mike, you've got to go home, bro. What do you sound like? What's his name? Gollum. It's a Gollum with apple pies. He wants some precious apple pies. Please, Hector. Please. Please give me an apple pie. I know you have some in the back. Look in the back. Hector, please. Look in the back. Can you call another location? Can you call Chula Vista store?
I'm not calling Chula Vista store again. Again. One last time. Oh, my God. It's bad when the drive-thru turns all the lights off and shuts the blinds. Everybody lays on the floor. Why is Mikey to go away? He's here. He's here. He's here. He's here again, guys. I think he's peeking through the blinds. Hello. Don't call. He'll hear you. I know you're in there. It says 24 hours. Oh, gosh. Why do you have to make that face when you do that point? That's the best part. All day. His tongue hanging out. Yeah, I used to have a chain around my neck with Princess Leia dancing around my feet. Oh, gosh. My face hurts. My head hurts laughing. Oh, man. You didn't even ask it. Listen to this. This is great. I heard two seconds of this.
And I'm like, I'm in. A guy from India imitating Marlon Brando. What? This is on America's Got Talent. How great is that? Oh, my gosh. How great is that? Do you think in his head he's like, I'm so good at this that I need to be on TV? Absolutely. Wow. That's my favorite part of those shows. Can we hear that one more time? Yeah. 100%. Absolutely. Let me find it. Here we go. His name is Roneth. Weird. Marlon Brando.
Why did he say Marlon Bravo? He's setting it up. What? That's from Streetcar. Is it? Amazing. That's amazing. He sounds more like Jabba the Hutt. Poor guy. Great work, pal. Dude, I stink now. Because I've been laughing, so I've been sweating. And I have BO. Yeah, he does. Thanks for sharing. Do you want? Do you smell it? I'm not about to get up in your armpit. No, no. It's kind of manly, though, right? It's a little suspicious. Get in there. Suspicious. What's this armpit? It's Lauren's face right now. I am in there. Smell it. You want to smell it? I think I can. Yeah, I think I'd be up. Smells like French fries. Is that when you walked in this morning? Sienna goes, smells like boy in here. That wasn't me this morning. I smelled ripe and not ripe. I smelled fresh. No, but like boy, I don't know. When there's a bunch of boys hanging out, it's like sweaty. My wife says that.
Jake is starting to smell like boy. It drives her nuts. Boy is a distinct smell. Don't let him be the smelly kid, dude. No, but not smelly. It's not bad. It's not smelly like that. It's sweaty. It's like, and it's definitely like a chemical. Yeah. Yeah. Girls too. Girls smell good. Oh, yeah. Do they? Not in like the locker room. Yeah, but they still do. No, no, no. And we all like women stop smelling good. Women reach an age. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Women give off a pheromone and it stops. And they start smelling like formaldehyde when they get older? Well. Oh, stop it. They stop smelling. Women will smell naturally fantastic. No perfume, whatever. They'll smell good. I will not. No, guys don't. But what guys do smell like, women like what they smell like. Now we're attracted to. What they smell like. Onions? No. Smell of old onions? If you eat a lot of onions, you'll maybe sweat onions. I don't, but I think my pits smell like onions right now. Gross, gross, gross. I love onions. My senses are very sensitive. Your senses are very sensitive? I don't want to smell your armpit, dude. Oh, my gosh. I do a little bit. Don't you? Jay, get in here. Give it a sniff. I'm going to give you a sniff here when I get in there in a minute. Wow. I'm trying to think. I may have deodorant in the car or something. Oh, wait a minute. Wait a minute. I'm looking at the news today.
Is this real? Is this supposed to be? I don't know what. I hope it's the one you're talking about. It probably is. Tell me it has to do with an Irish couple. It is. Yes, I knew it. I read minds. Woodsy, this is goofball. It's not goofball. Are you buying this? This is creepy. It's legit. Well, it's an Irish couple. They have revealed that they fell in love after meeting at a nightclub. They moved in together, had a kid, then discovered they were, in fact, half-brother and sister. Oh, I heard that. Oh, well, that's not the same story. You said Irish couple. No, I thought it was that one, but it's not. Oh, way to go. Wait, half brother and sister? So they have the same mom or dad? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wait a minute, is this couple born in the same hospital room? No, that's another one. Different story. That's a different one. Okay, so that one I didn't know. Well, that's weird. So they had kids together and they... Yeah, and they found out because the dad was... The DNA was just confirmed last month that they shared a parent together, and he wasn't given his true identity when he was little. Are the kids okay? Yeah, they're fine. There's only one kid, but they said that they're staying together and they plan on having more kids, even after they found that out. Wow. Tell the story about the couple in the same hospital room that I don't buy. This is in Pennsylvania.
Singley and Stephen Smith, whose mothers shared a hospital room the day they were born. They were both born on April 17th, 1986. Kind of grew up together in the same town, knowing each other. The families went to church together. Started dating in high school. Now, came out the same hospital room the same day. Now they're getting married. You don't buy that? Now they're getting married. I know. They're getting married June 12th. I'm sure they are. Same hospital. Doctor. Yeah. Hi. How are you doing? I'm doing good. I have to talk to you about Martha. Okay. You're 35, right? Yes. Yeah, and I know that she's 35 as well because you guys were born in the same room. Oh, we were? Yeah. We're about to get married. Did you know that? I did know that. That's why I... It doesn't happen on Grace's dad, by the way. Do you know she has a branch growing out of her chest? Oh, gosh. Of course I do. I'm the one that diagnosed her with tree-ism. I know. Tree-ism. What do I do? Do water keep her in the sun? Water keep her in the sun, lots of fresh soil. That's not what I'm here to talk to you about. Oh, okay. We might have to cut off one of her limbs. Her literal limbs. One of her literal limbs. She's going to lose both limbs. But her legs are fine. Yes, her legs are fine. But her limbs are... I say...
Chop them off. It's a little creepy. My wife's a tree. This is a real sickness, people. Is it? It is. It was on Grey's Anatomy. I'm getting worried just thinking about it. So it must be real. You know that. Is that the foo? It's a foo. Wind up? Yeah, don't. Woods. Foo Fighters. Wind up. Yeah. I'll tell you a story that is going to polarize everybody listening. Everybody listening is going to feel one way or the other about this. Has to do with... Actually, it has to do with my kid. We'll see what you think.

Now, back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. I heard this guy's voice, and it just... There goes my life. That's what it seriously was like, yeah. Imagine me all sing like that, Bob. Oh, man. I'd never leave the stage. Me either.
I just play, and he's a great songwriter. The dude is a phenomenal guitar player, too. You can leave the stage, all right? Yeah, fair enough. I was listening to what you did yesterday, and I kind of want to do that. What? Just chill out with some music. Oh, dude, I had the greatest music day ever. Ever. I got home from the show, and I was like... My head was spinning, you know? So I turned up the amp and jammed for a while. Learned a couple new songs. And then we had this box of records that we brought from our old house. And we went through the records. It was so fun. And then I made Covey a nice Ryan Adams mix. I'm trying to sell him on that. A little bromance. Yeah. But, yeah, it was one of the... Oh, great. Really? And I played guitar and sang all night for my wife. To Mike? No, for my wife. Yeah, by his wife, he means me. Yeah. I like how he makes Mike a mix, and Lauren and I have been like, when are we going to get that Crazy Heart mix? When are we going to get that Crazy Heart mix? Meanwhile, Mike has several mixes. I was thinking about the greatest. Yep, I know I'm going to catch some heat for this. Did you make him a make-out mix as well? Really?
I'm not even going to dignify that. I know. Don't even dignify her. Ignore her. Ignore that. It's ridiculous. I made L.O.B. a mix before. I know. I didn't ever get a mix. He made me like a heartbreak mix. I wasn't ready to endure the pain. Hey, now is the time to put that in. Just hit eject on it right away. I skipped through and listened to the beginning of every one. I went, that's good. How good is it, though, for what it is? Yeah, it's good. Yeah. It's going to blow your head off. I can't do that, man. I can't listen to sad stuff. What is it? It's like a... Breakup CD? Yeah. It's like, let's listen to songs about sadness. That's what I do. That's what my wife does, too. That's what I do. That's what you do. Yeah, that's my best. You're not like that, right, Sienna? When you're sad, you can't do that? No, I listen to the music that pumps you up and makes you not think about it. Or else, there was one song by Daughtry. that I have listened to. I don't even like Daughtry very much, but it was called Let me tell you, I could help people. This could help Lauren. It's called Over You. And I got over you. And I got over you. And I was like, yeah, that's right.
That's Sienna's. This is Sienna, heartbroken. Driving in her car. Just pissed. Top down. Just ab rolling out. Amazing. Speaking of wanting to blow my head off. Speaking of leaving my own body. Oh, gosh. Jared, our boy Jared down at createyourdesignonline.com is so great. In fact, I want him to design a logo that says ventriloquism is rad. Yes. 100%. That would be great. But he's awesome. He's a graphic designer, and he does high-end design. Guy could have and was offered a job in Hollywood doing... Movie posters. That's amazing. You know Jared at Subway? Different Jared. But this guy is Jared of graphic design. That's right. Yes. He holds it down the same way. That is true. He represents. Yeah, he turned the job down because it was boring to him. That's amazing to me. He probably wanted more creative control than just... That's what he said. Yeah. He wanted to be able to do what he wanted. You can see his stuff. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. He's a friend, but he's also the guy that does our website.
So you can go to MikeyShow.com. And our billboards. Our billboards. Stickers. Our stickers. He does all of it. Everything that you see that's Mikey Show, it's Jared. And CreateYourDesignOnline.com. That's Jared. That's Jared. He went to Jared. He's awesome. Let's see. Oh. Really? Well, I'm like, do we have time? We do. What is it? Well, because I know we'll get into this and we could be on it forever. That's, that's. Never. This weekend, my son Luke is nine months old, reaches out, grabs a Ruffles potato chip out of Rebecca's hand. Tortilla chip. I thought it was a potato. Tortilla. Oh, it was a tortilla chip? Yeah, it's perfect. He's in Esparza. Yeah, I was there. He's in Esparza. He's like, oh, it's a corn chip? Who cares? Yeah, I guess. It was a tortilla chip. That doesn't bother me as much. It doesn't. Why? Because I think it's healthier than a potato chip.
A corn chip. Isn't it? No. They're both salty and bad. And fried. Yeah. Okay. All right. Now you're still bothered. Yeah, not as bad as I would be if it had been a Ruffles potato chip. That would have been worse. Does Luke, like, eat food like that? No, it's the first time we'd ever seen him reach out and grab that and put it, you know, in his mouth. It was amazing. I watched the whole thing. And I don't want him eating that. Really? I don't want him eating that. Oh, I'm sure he loved it. Dude, of course he did. He's teething. And it's salty and delicious in his mouth. It's amazing. You want to introduce that, though. Of course you don't. How great are pureed carrots going to taste now? Yeah, right? You know what? He's a baby. He eats what he's given. What about that two-year-old smoking cigs? That fake bit, you mean? Yeah. You mean Wally in Indonesia? Is that who you're talking about? I think it's Artie. And his wife, Karen? His wife, Karen. So your child is the only one that's not allowed to enjoy the food that you're serving at your party? No. To everyone else? Everybody else can do what they want. You are providing it. You want to keep the baby a purist as long as you can? Yeah. It's one chip. Oh, my God. Even if you had a bag. It's one chip. A little bit older if you had a bag. When Maddie was, you know, she must have been two, we went to this bag. 20 years ago today. Yeah, 20 years ago today.
We were at this bike race, and this girl was like, oh, I'll hold on to your baby while you go do this bike race. Okay, thanks. We kind of knew her. It was a different time then. And Maddie was covered in Cheetos. She did not eat Cheetos whatsoever. No any kind of food in her body at all. She was orange and had the bag, and Kim went to get the bag from her. She's like, no! Of course. Question. I just got my hands in some crack. This is heaven. I know what the question is already. How is she? Is she fine? No, no, no. I have another question. Okay. How is she? Is she fine? She made it. She made it. She made it. She made it. All right. She made it. All right. Second question. Maybe the attractive young lady that she is today. Correct. Happy birthday, Maddie. You can say the same thing about somebody who's done heroin a couple of times. Did they make it? They made it. Are they fine? That's true. It's true. It doesn't kill you. It makes you stronger. It's true. But don't make it okay. It doesn't make it okay, but she made it. So hold on. Yeah. I go. We all go surfing one day. We all go to Pizza Port. Jasper, Jay's little boy, who's eight. He's like, hey, seven. He goes, hey, will you take me to get me a frozen yogurt? Absolutely, I'll take you to get a frozen yogurt. Is this a fake story or a real story? This is a real story. A fake story. Jasper did. Jasper did. I remember. I'm seven, and he's seven. You were there. Yeah. So I wanted to go out and blast the cig. He walked out, and he goes, hey, take me to get me a frozen yogurt. And I go, done. Uncle Woods makes it right. Did you know that? For all your kids, it's going to be great. Sure. And, yeah, I'll never get to watch any of them. Can't wait. You can watch mine. I take them next door, and I'm like, all right.
I know your dad. He's not going to want you to get a bunch of stuff on your frozen yogurt. This kid feasted. He was like, hot fudge, Oreos, Reese's. I was like, sprinkles, nuts. I was like, I'm a dead man. He goes, we show up next door to the pizza port. Jay and his wife are like. Oh, my gosh. Just like, really? Really? You're going to buy that for my kid? He was not supposed to go as big as he went. He went. He took full advantage of the situation. Oh, yeah. And he got me, dude. He got me good. I was like, it's $19. Yeah, yeah. You paid by the pound. Yeah, you paid by the pound there. $19.50. Jay's face was like. Oh, I can imagine. I was like, oh, cool. It was a Friday. It's okay. Now, Jay, he's allowed to have it all, though. Oh, absolutely. I mean, he definitely gets to splurge more than, say, when Maddie. We were new parents. And the first kid, you know, you don't want to make any mistakes. You know, keep her out of the dirt. Don't let her eat the... Second kid comes along. You're like, hey, you're eating a little dirt. That's okay. Third kid, you're like, hey, you're playing in the mud. You're eating all the dirt you want. Fourth kid is like, who's that kid? Yeah, you're like, what's your name? He's feasting on dirt patties. I love that kid, but I don't know whose he is. I don't know, man. I just want to...
keep them healthy, all that bit. And you should. And you can. Having a chip is not going to be like, you're not going to walk in, he's going to have his hand in his, one hand in his diaper eating a big slice of pizza drinking a Budweiser. Aren't we talking about Luke here? Okay, never mind. I have another, I have a question though. We were just talking about how delicious McFlurry milkshakes are at McDonald's. Would you let your kid get to McDonald's? You wouldn't take him to McDonald's? You're not taking your kid to McDonald's. French fries? You said so many times those fries are delicious. Stick to it, Mike. It's for grown-ups. Yeah. It's for grown-ups. Oh, yeah. The little playpen out front is for grown-ups. Happy meals are for grown-ups. Of course I would. I often go swing on the monkey bars. Of course I would. For a treat. Has Jake been to McDonald's? Yeah, that's okay. Yeah, once in a while, but yeah, not as like a regular meal. Don't put him on the Woods diet. Five days a week, Mickey D's. I'm just saying. I think that as long as you can keep them with the healthiest stuff, probably the better. Yeah. Woodsy does not. I agree. I agree. And granted, I have no kids. I have no kids. But when I do have kids, I'm not going to be like, hey, feast on whatever you want. But I'm going to try to keep them healthy.
I'll take him to Mickey D's every now and then. Yeah, every now and then. Isn't the heaviest state out there in Texas where the kids are the most open? Yeah. I thought it was huge. Wisconsin. But, you know, here's the thing, though, dude. Think about when all of us basically were kids. We didn't sit inside feasting and playing video games all day. We ran around. I played 35 different sports. Yeah, now kids don't just, like, play outside. They don't play. That's a bad thing. Oh, my kids will play. My kids will, too. Believe me. Yeah. You will play and you will like it. Karate. Real good. Oh, we got a very interesting topic to hit on next. Are you your parents' favorite? God, it's better than I thought. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. I'm woman enough to say I like train. We know. This is their new single, Can't Get Enough of It. It's called If It's Love. I thought you said it's called I Can't Get Enough of It. Oh, you can't get enough of it. I can't get enough of it. Can't you? Because I'm a melody guy, and if I hear a hook with a great melody, I'm good for the next... I'll listen to it for two years in a row. Do you like a great hook? This does not... Doesn't like pop music at all. I can't get him into pop music. I like the Meet Virginia hook. And that...
Soul Sister. Soul Sister. Soul Sister is too good. Woods likes it. He just won't say it. And if it's on the radio, he wouldn't change it. He'd sit there and be like, Hey, Soul Sister. I don't like that dude's voice. And it's like Maroon 5. I don't like that guy's voice either. Tap on my window. Falsetto. Yeah, I mean, I like falsetto, but... We're going to take Jake to see Yo Gabba Gabba. Yes. In the sports arena. What is that? Oh, he's going to have so much fun. It's like a psychedelic trip on acid. I think it's Disney Channel. Maybe Nickelodeon. I think Nickelodeon. He loves it, doesn't he? Oh, yeah, and there's a bunch of celebrities in it. What is it? Jack Black's in it. It's a show for little kids. Like a cartoon? No, it's a live action. You know what it is? It looks like it would be a great cartoon, but it's live action. It's as if they took a cartoon and made it live action. But it's meaning it's a bunch of people in suits dressed as comical characters that are made up. Like a Barney? Kind of, yeah. When's that bit going down? Rebecca's trying to get us tickets, and she said that it's crowded.
Why do they need Jack Black? He's just going to put a costume on. He doesn't put a costume on. Oh. Yeah, the celebrities come on. There's a band called Aquabots, I guess. Aquabats. Aquabats. Brad Pitt's real into it. Big stars will be on it. Well, a lot of it is because they have kids. They have kids, and their kids love it. There's a DJ on it. I forget his name. DJ Lance. Yeah. That's who Brad Pitt dressed up as for Halloween last year. Oh, yeah. That's right. I remember you guys talking about this. Yeah. DJ Lance. Yo, Gabba Gabba. And my wife goes, no, he's not. And I go, babe, yo, Gabba Gabba. Hi, DJ Lance. And she goes, no. He's just getting into character. DJ Lance. I go, babe, it's DJ Lance. DJ Lance. He's got the hard S's. And she goes, just because somebody has hard S's. Rebecca talks like that now. Doesn't mean. That's my key. It's not what it means.
It's just DJ Lance. M1 Kyle from Oceanside. Hey, I went to an Aquabats show, and they're part of the whole Yo Gabba Gabba, and DJ Lance opened for them, and he had the Yo Gabba Gabba characters, and he called every kid in the audience on stage. Rad. Really? That's so rad. All the kids were jamming with the Yo Gabba Gabba. I'm 39. My son was 17. My daughter's 19. We went to see the Aquabats. I had more fun when DJ Lance was going to town. Dude, I came out of there sweating. Really? You just left a Metallica show. When I say stop, you stop, and everybody's freezing in just weird position. So what happens when you're a man in your 30s or 40s? Suddenly, Yo Gabba Gabba and DJ Lance become like Metallica. And it's the same DJ Lance that's on the show? Yeah. Oh, that is so cool. The Wiggles are out? Yo Gabba Gabba's in? That's it. Yo Gabba Gabba. Yo Gabba Gabba's hip. It's way hipper. Well, guess who loves Yo Gabba Gabba? Hillary.
Does she? Really? So you know it's cool. Yeah, it is cool. Her daughter likes it. Her daughter loves it. Yeah. It is cool. You're going to have an absolute blast with your kids. Yeah. I thought I would go. Can I just be like the fourth kid? Yeah, I mean. The Aunt Lauren? Yeah. Why is it creepy? I don't know. Aquabats are coming to Soma soon. There you go. And the plants is going to open for them. You ought to go there, too. What does he do? He's a teacher. Does he spin them? It spins. Yeah. He spin? He just spins. Does he spin? One great song after the end. He plays, yeah. Fabulous. Thank you. Jenna's too old for Yo Gabba Gabba, so we don't really watch it, but I know what it is. Charlie Sheen going to jail? Yes, he is. For 30 days. Now, this is because of this Christmas Day altercation with his wife, Brooke Mueller. You guys remember about that, right? Yeah, they got in a little fight. He was arrested, and he's being charged with felony menacing misdemeanor third-degree assault and misdemeanor criminal. Can't get out of his own way. Go to jail. 30 days. I feel bad for people that can't get out of their own way. It's brutal. It's brutal, yeah. Always been a fan, dude. I know it. He's heading to court on June 7th. That's awful what he did. I just wish that he could get out of his own way. You don't like Charlie Sheen? I liked him until his character on that stupid men. I love that show. Two and a half men. It's Bud Fox, dude. Wall Street.
It's greatness. You guys hear about the bus driver in Encinitas that just got busted? Yeah. For what age of children was this bus driver? It was a public bus. It was a public bus. Yeah. Thank goodness. Doesn't make it any better, though, actually. He was driving, heading east on Encinitas Boulevard. And one of the people on the bus thought, huh, this guy looks like he maybe had been drinking. Oh, my gosh. Calls 911. Oh, gosh. Yeah. Yeah. Sheriff's Department shows up. Deputies arrive. Give him a little sobriety test. And he is arrested. 40-year-old driver arrested after the sobriety test. I don't have the exact results, but obviously they weren't good if they're going to arrest him after that. I wonder if the... Penalty is worse for doing that. Because you're putting, that's so reckless. That's like so, I mean, every time you get behind the wheel drunk, you're putting everyone on the roads. I mean, I wonder what the situation was like. How did he, did he have a few pops before he showed up to work? I don't know. All it says is, it happened yesterday around 425 p.m. on Encinitas Boulevard near Calle Magdalena.
And I've sworn sometimes, I'm like, man, you're behind a bus sometimes. You're like, what's going on there? What are you, Hammond? Yeah, but maybe it's... No, and he's driving a commercial vehicle too, which is scary. It's really bad. Yeah. It's probably a harsher penalty for a commercial vehicle. For sure. Let's see. What else did I forget this big? We're going to do the thing that I said that we were going to talk about, which was the, are you the favorite? To your parents. We don't have enough time. We'll hit that tomorrow. First thing. First thing tomorrow. And we'll get around to it. Yeah, and we'll get around to it. James Bond's Aston Martin is for sale. Yeah, you know that. It's the one. I'll take it. Yeah. I have it already. I'm the one selling it. I need some extra money. I want to know if it's like the new Aston Martin. No, it's the 1964 Aston Martin DB5. The one from the movie. B.A. From Casino Royale? Yeah, I guess. It says the world's most famous car is what it's known as. Woods, you don't care about. They're expecting it to get more than over $5 million. This is me. My wife.
My wife now sends me pictures of badass cars. Nice, dude. I mean, you see one of those. You have to go, hmm, nice ride. That's an Aston Martin Vantage. It's a new one. Convertible? Just. It's filthy. Slick. How much? Two? Looks like a Sebring. $225, $250. We'll see the big difference. It don't look like a Sebring. A Sebring? It don't look like a Sebring. Is that Michael Scott over there? Well, this Aston Martin's going for over $5 million is what they're estimating. The auction's going to be on October 27th, so you have a little bit of time to save up. Yeah. But the model comes complete with its Q-Branch gadgets, which include machine guns, bulletproof shield, revolving number plates, tracking device, removable roof panel, oil slick sprayer, nasal spreader, and smoke screen. Nasal spreader? Yeah. You need that. Obviously, machine guns are not real. When do you want to spread your nasals? But all the gadgets are fully operational except for the machine guns. Fully operational? Fully operational. Wireless. Wireless. Mario Lopez is going to do a reality show. Do you know he's going to be a dad? Must miss. Yeah, he's going to be a dad. His girlfriend is Preggers. He's a sharp dude. Yeah, he looks like my boy that was here this weekend.
Which, oh yeah, it kind of does. Mario Lopez is from San Diego, born and raised in Chula Vista. Yep. And he's going to do a reality show, which is going to be all about him being a dad. Really? Yeah. He's also going to be writing a memoir about fatherhood. It's a memoir. Memoir. And I don't get it. This is what I don't get. Why a reality show about him being a dad? Gosh. It's such a, it's such, it's so. It's random. Mikey, it's so novel. Yeah. Being a dad, man. You know, it's just never, it's never been done. I don't understand why. Hey, and it's Mario Lopez, you guys. But they just oversaturate themselves. It's like you get a little bit of like, oh, this guy's on the up and up since his A.C. Slater days. And now it's like, oh, okay, I got to strike while the iron's hot. He's done some stuff though. He's a host on Extra right now. You know what I'm saying? He's finally like back in the, you know, he was on Dancing with his Clowns or whatever. Yeah, so. I mean. Look at Bret Michaels. Exactly. He can't stay out of the limelight. He's got to get a taste of it, and you're like, oh, I've got to be bigger. So when does it come out? No, it doesn't say. He's working on the book right now. It's about getting guys better prepared for fatherhood. That's not right. It's about 200 pages. Yes. All right, we've got to go. Hillary just came in. Hillary, are you going to Yo Gabba Gabba?
Okay, love me some Yo Gabba Gabba. She loves it. That Swami, who does the Swami sound system here every Saturday night, John Reese, he's on it quite often. Really? He's the Swami. He introduces the Super Music Friends show band. And he writes for the show too, right? Does he? I don't know. And Dallas, who's one of our part-timers, works. That's who I'm thinking. He writes for Yo Gabba Gabba. Yeah, he helps write some of the music and stuff. Yeah. It's pretty cool. Such a great show. Are you going to go to the concert? Well, it's Thanksgiving Sunday night, and I think we're going to be flying into town. It is? Yeah. Well, I think there's one during the day, and then there's one in the evening. This will be my wife later today. Oh, I didn't say that? I didn't say that. I thought I said that. Yeah, I believe it is Sunday the 28th, and we're out of town for Thanksgiving, so I think we're flying in that day, so I'm kind of heartbroken. Yeah. Yeah, me too. It's so good. I just found out it's... Yeah. Thanksgiving Sunday. Good thing for you Thanksgiving is on a Thursday. Yeah, it's the Sunday before, Mike. Yeah, or after. Yeah, we come back on Monday.
