Friday June 4, 2010
The fridge at the station needs a warning sign about its putrid stink. Mikey ran stairs during his grueling workout. “Chub’s Beach” is the next surfing hot spot. They caught that punk killer Van Der Sloot, thank God. Lottery war stories follows and Mikey tells about the class he and Rebecca took to learn how to save money. James Cameron: writer, director, and deep sea scientist in his spare time. Chris Rock can’t break Kobe Bryant’s intense focus. Woods proposes a strange bet with Mikey involving the Padres, then has a change of heart to the Perfect Game bungling umpire. An Email about an engaged duded sending a girl a provocative text sparks a huge debate on inappropriate flirting. Mike and Jay are on one side of the fence, Sienna and Woods on the other, and LOB is in the middle. This leads to a funny version of People’s Court between the arguing sides. Woods explains how to tell a hot chick to tone it down a little when at work. MIDI madness is fun! Mikey Show Haikus never fail either! Things your wife does in the bathroom that skeeve you out is next. Thanks to Jay, Lauren’s butt works its way into the conversation. Mikey doesn’t like to even see the wrapper of a feminine product, Todd finds Sienna’s hair in his butt crack, and The Kid doesn’t like hearing girls go #1! LOB uses music to cover noises. What do pets teach us about marriage? When not knocking down three pointers, President Obama goes on Larry King to whistle his S’s. Jay’s kids were raised on dog food and Mikey saw a child eating a dog biscuit. Sienna doesn’t want to know what hot dogs are made of so she leaves the studio! Donald Duck theater takes on the “Old School” streaking bit. Text about a dude wondering if his ex gave birth to his child is next, and a big discussion follows, then the gang argues over whether it’s better to ask over the phone or by email. Maybe Lars Ulrich should stick to drumming instead of acting. Jay sneaks onto his son’s facebook and finds out about the “Cool House” he hangs at. Mikey’s going greener than the Incredible Hulk, but Wolfgang is the best recycler!

The show featured Mikey and his crew discussing everything from the absurdity of leftover salad in Tupperware to a smelly fridge incident, a caller who got bitten by a pit bull while meter reading, and Mikey's grueling 22‑flight stair workout. They also covered surfing at a grass‑filled beach, the arrest of Yoran Vandersloot on the fifth‑year anniversary of Natalie Holloway’s disappearance, and the passing of Rue McClanahan. Later, they talked about lottery winners, a bizarre rigatoni‑nailed‑to‑a‑doorway reminder, a six‑week financial planning course that changed Mikey’s habits, and James Cameron’s lay‑person explanation of the BP oil spill. The conversation turned heated over a text message from an engaged man to a female friend, and wrapped up with Mikey’s personal testimony about his past insecurity, alcohol addiction, and finding hope through faith.

Tupperware Salad Talk
Mikey jokes about leftover salad stored in Tupperware, comparing it to rubbery plastic and noting how his wife loves it.

Mikey and his wife Rebecca describe a six‑week financial planning course that taught budgeting, debt reduction, and completely changed their spending habits.
James Cameron Oil Spill Discussion

Padres vs Halladay Bet
Woodsy challenges Mikey to a bet that the Padres will beat Roy Halladay, with the loser owing the winner a neck massage or other favors.
Text Message Controversy
The show debates a text from an engaged man to a female friend saying “Hi, beautiful… Hope you’re behaving yourself,” questioning whether it’s innocent flirting or a red flag.
Mikey's Personal Testimony

CT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Mikey Show on a Friday with a live studio. You can give us a call, 570-1949. And if you are of the shy variety, then you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. I can't believe that it is June the 4th. It feels like yesterday was February. It's already June. We got the fair coming pretty soon. Are we having a fair? Oh, yeah. It was a big topic of discussion at our growth group last night was about how the fair is coming and there will be food and I'll be getting a $25 ear of corn. Since that's the only reason you go. Yeah, I pay for parking. I pay for entrance to the fair and then I pay for...
A $4 ear of corn and I walk right out of that place. That's amazing. Yeah. It's a very expensive ear of corn, but it's good. Do you go by yourself? Yeah, of course. After the show, yeah. After the show. Only one corn? One corn. It's all daddy can handle. You should get some to go. Bring it home for dinner. Nah, it's a good idea. Makes too much sense. It doesn't stay as well, does it? No. It's not the same. Not for your liking. Yeah. Imagine grilled corn saved and you take it out of the refrigerator the next day. Out of a little, you know, Ziploc deal. Like, oh, this is delicious. It's like bringing a salad the next day to work that you got home from a restaurant. I'm telling you. Oh, my goodness. Filthy. Girls love the leftover salad. They love to do it. They love it. My wife does. Oh, yeah. So is my wife. If it's like the chopped up salad, the lettuce is chopped dressing on the side, you're good to go. You're golden. Looks like plastic and rubber to me the next day. Filthy. Open the top of that Tupperware deal. By the way, I haven't used Tupperware for 45 years, but I still refer to everything as Tupperware. So do I. That was my toys as a kid. I didn't actually have toys. I had Tupperware. No, I just bang on it with spoons. How's that big wheel going over there? You kick a can, too? Yeah, kick the can. It's real fun. Visible friends. Yeah. Well, you know that. There's nothing worse, though, than opening up that Tupperware top.
And looking at rubbery plastic salad. The girls love it. Sienna loves it. Lellaby's out. Speaking of Tupperware, did you hear me retching in the hallway about 10 minutes ago? No, why? Because I went to put some yogurt in that death trap coffin fridge. And I forgot because the sign's gone. They used to say something died in here. Yeah. And I opened it up, put my yogurt in. And when I shut the door, the waft hit me. And I'm like, I'm running down the hallway. My eyes start watering. My nose is like... He is so dramatic. I get in that fridge every day, and it's not a big deal. This is what I don't understand, though, Sienna. Take it easy. You would think that that raccoon would have decomposed to the point now. No, they cleaned it. They did? Yes, they sent out an email saying it was being cleaned. The sign was out. I came in the next Monday because I always put my yogurt and stuff in there, and it was all clean. Let's go smell it after this, after the break. Can we? Let's just do it. I have a feeling that by clean, what happened was... Somebody came with a little thing of Windex and a towel and went... I guarantee you're right. All clean. Oh, man. 570-1949-M1-Dogbait from IB. What's up, dude? What's going on, Mikey Show? Not too much, bro. Just wanted to say good morning to you guys. Thank you, man. What are you doing, man? Are you going to work? I'm headed to work. Where are you work at? What kind of work? What kind of work?
I'm a meter reader. Nice, dude. Nice. Don't give me any tickets. Yeah. Hence the dog bait. There you go. Meter, not a meter. Like he reads meters for the electric company or something. Yeah, you ever been bit? Hi, I'm an idiot. My name's Woods. I thought that too. I thought he was like a parking meter reader. No, no, no, no. Purple people eater. Me and you both, pal. Have you been bit, bro? Yeah. What kind of dog got you? A pit. Oh, no way. No way, dude. Where? You got bit by a pit bull? My inner thigh. No way. That's sensitive. Ooh, that's very sensitive. Did the dog lock its jaw on you? It was a good nip. Ouch. Oh, man. Hey, are residents liable if their animals get you? Yes. They are. What happens? Do they get a fine or what happens? It goes through like an investigation process. Got it. Actually, I'm one dog that just beats the crap out of him with a stick. Hey, listen. It was me or the dog and I did. Good for you. Hey, listen. You know what? I mean, you're just doing your job, bro. Exactly. You're doing your job.
All right, bro. Thank you for calling, man. Have a blessed weekend, you guys. You too, man. You too, bro. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Real quick, I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Woodsy's our sports guy. He's got some killer stuff coming up about Game 1. Game 1. Game 1 of the NBA Finals last night. Lauren is our assistant producer. Sienna is our news girl. And Jay is our executive producer. He's the guy in the next room. I did 20... to stairs yesterday, stairwells yesterday. How are the buns feeling? They're feeling like actual cinnamon buns. Yum. Delicious. You know, I was talking to my trainer. Weird, weird. I was talking to my trainer about it. I mean, when I first started, I walked into Frogs Fitness in Encinitas and went, I don't think I should do the stairs. And she goes, oh, it's okay, it's okay. What do you think that you can handle? And I said, eating a donut. How many reps do you think you can do? Probably like 14. So it was really, you know, an accomplishment that I was able to do 22 stairs yesterday without vomiting. What does that mean?
You know, that's a flight of stairs. Yeah. Run. 22 flights of stairs. He has to go up. We're on the seventh floor, so that would be seven flights. He did 22. Oh, that's... Hi, what was that? That's our boy, Jay. Good morning. Yeah, so I did... You went up 22 flights of stairs yesterday? You know what she said to me? What? You know what her exact words were to me? She... I wasn't counting them. She was. And she goes, don't worry, I got it. And she goes, you'll be able to tell Woods tomorrow morning how many flights... Is that what she said? Yeah. You know, 22 is my lucky number, pal. Yeah. Good job. That's amazing. I wanted to barf. Oh, sure. So you were on the stair machine? No, it was actual stairs. I had to run up and run down. Did you imagine something at the top? I would have. Is one and down one? You go halfway up and hit a landing and then go up another one. That's one. That's one. Okay. That's the top. And then you come back down. That doesn't count for anything. Yeah, coming back. Yeah. The down part. Yeah, the down part doesn't count. Oh, that's even harder. So a full one is up and back. Yeah. Up, down one. Up, down two. I bet you $1,000, I couldn't do 22. Really? No way. And did you go without stopping? No, you do. I started with like four, and then she real quickly moves you over to something. You lift weights, then you do weights, and then you go. That was my bit with my trainer. Got on the scale this morning, gained like three pounds. Muscle. All muscle. Yeah.
You probably drank a lot of water, too. He drinks more water than a camel. Yeah, I haven't had a soda in I don't know how long, and I'm getting fatter according to the scale. No, you're not. Don't look at the scale. What is that, then? Don't pay attention to the numbers. Pay attention to how you feel. And I do. I actually feel better, and the scale every day goes... I go, really? You look better. You do. It's killing me, though. You look svelte. You don't... Why doesn't it say that I've lost 455 pounds? You don't complain, though. When I worked out, and here was me, I'd get out of bed. Oh, my God, I'm so sore. You see me on Mondays after playing first base. I'm like, oh, my God, I'm done. I'm sore today. I'm sore today. We went surfing. I'm like, oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah, it's awful. Woods told me about how they all went surfing yesterday. Where did you guys go to pipes? No. Was it Barney's? Where were we? Yes, I am a Barney. Thank you very much. I know. I'm just learning. I don't know that break's name. Oh, wait, wait, wait. You got to turn your mic way up, bro. Oh, wow. How's that? Oh, here. How's that? I got two new microphones. That works. You stuck it in the wrong mic. I got two new microphones in my office. Where'd you go, Jay? We went to Behind the Cardiff Kook. There's a bunch of names for it, but it's just...
Just straight out through the campground. I have one for it. Cardiff gook. I have a name for it. What is it? It's called Grass Beach. Yeah. It's disgusting. Because that's what's in the water. That is not that at all. Really? There was grass all over it. Wait till the summertime comes. Oh, no. I'm swimming out and I'm like, oh, God, what is that? What do you mean grass? Six-foot-tall grass in the water. Seaweed. Whatever. Grass. Green grass that was this high. And I'm like... The water was really shallow yesterday. Oh, dude. What, is there bass all over here? Seriously. I was paddling out. I'm like, man, I'm feeling good today. One thing. It's all I need to throw me off my game. My foot dragged through some grass. And I was like... And I get out to the waves. I'm like... This is foul. I didn't want to fall off my board because I wind up in a grass patch. Disgusting. You think it's eels. Yeah, absolutely. All kinds of things. For those of you that don't do any of the beach stuff or any of the surf stuff, which was me for the last 20 years that I've lived in San Diego or whatever, I didn't do anything. I went to the beach. I've been going to the beach with all these guys. But Tamarack Beach, you don't have to hike anywhere. You just get out of your car, walk right to the thing. I told Woods.
I go, why don't we just rename that Chubb's Beach because that's where I want to go. Chubb's Beach. That's what I want to do. Chubb's Beach. Now I know why you guys like it. Well, that's exactly why we like it. I don't think I've ever been there. You park and you go, okay, I'm in the water. There's no carrying anything. Speaking of which, happy National Donut Day. That's what you are. It's wonderful. BG's picked us up with some donuts. Yeah, they did. It's Obese Mikey's favorite day. Well, today, I usually take it off, but I've decided to come to work instead. You can get some free donuts today if you're interested. Where? Krispy Kreme, giving out free donuts. They give one away? Yeah, one away. Yeah, you know why? It's like a crack dealer. They're like, the first one's free. First one's free. Well, then it's like, I need more, I need more, I need more. Yeah, you can get one taste. Maybe come back if you want to. I always thought there was not a Dunkin' Donuts in San Diego, and people were emailing me like, oh, yeah, there's one in Santee. There's some. There's some. They're coming. Really? So apparently you can get a free donut with the purchase of a beverage at Dunkin' Donuts today, too. Oh, and their coffee's the best. Yeah.
So big on the East Coast, Dunkin' Donuts. Yoran Vandersloot. Oh, man. He is the guy who everybody assumes killed Natalie Holloway. Yeah. And then the big news yesterday was that while he was in, he was at a casino playing in a poker tournament. In Peru. Somewhere in Peru. Yeah. Tough life, that clown. And he was found. Yesterday. Well, wait, we've got to tell you, just in case you didn't know, there was a woman that was killed and surveillance cameras has him with this woman walking into a hotel room. Hotel room in Lima. In Lima, 5 a.m. He comes out by himself. Four hours later, they find her body. She's been beaten and killed. Her body, yes. She's 21-year-old Stephanie Flores. Her body was found two days later by the housekeeper. In his room. In his room. Now, immediately after doing this, he flees and goes across the border into Chile. And there's a, you know, basically a worldwide warrant out for his arrest. They caught him. And real quick, one of the craziest parts about it was the story, the day that this story broke was, or the day he killed this girl on Sunday was the exact fifth year anniversary of the day Natalie Holloway went missing in Aruba. What a creep. Well, what I can't, what I can't wrap my mind around is whether or not.
That is something that is consciously on this creep's mind. It has to be. It has to. Could it be that coincidental? He was arrested twice for it, never charged for Natalie Holloway. I mean, you don't forget something like that. Yeah, you know that day. Yeah, of course. That day is emblazoned in your mind. In fact, I don't know, man. I just, the whole playing in a poker tournament and all that stuff, you know, maybe just stay home, you know? Idiot. Well, yesterday the cops found him in a taxi in Chile. yesterday. Chile. Chile. Chile. So he has been arrested. We'll see what happens. I'm sure you've seen pictures of him on the TV. It's just, ugh, creeps you out. We mentioned this at the very end of the show yesterday, but it happened at the very end of the show, like right as we were getting off the air. Rue McClanahan passed away yesterday at the age of... I believe it was 76. Yeah, lived a very long life. Blanche. Blanche. I had nothing to do with this one. Yeah, you did not. Nothing to do with this one. Now. Me. Probably Pepper. It's probably me. Well, what Woodsy means is that he's been a jinx. Yeah, I've been a jinx. You say it, and then they pass away right after. It's so bad. A kid goes for an easy joke, and then gets hosed real good. The Wood's curse. It's terrible. That's what happened with Gary Coleman. Yeah, and Boner. I do love the rain so. It reminds me of my first kiss.
Your first kiss was in the rain. No, it was in the shower. Oh, Blanche. Why is that funny? She's promiscuous, little girl. She was. She's very whorish. That's right. Go right out and say it, Woods. She was a whorish character. Can you really do that? What? Too soon. Who was she? Her character. Not her. She was probably an angel. Hey, who was the lady that played Maude? B. Arthur. Brilliant. How about B. Arthur in that clip, by the way? Do you remember your first kiss? Yes. Excuse me. Don't make fun of girls with deep voices. Wait a minute. We better not make fun of her. She'll probably pass away today. I think she already did, didn't she? Maybe not. I probably made that up. We're awful. We're awful. There's deep voices, and then there's B. Arthur. Yeah. Hey, a couple of people from San Diego won the lottery. Real good. So cool. This happened at the Vons in Santee. One lucky retiree, he didn't release his name, or she didn't release her name, bought a Super Lotto ticket this week worth $23 million. Wow. Yeah. No, it was a man. In fact, it does say that was a man. Brought in the ticket to the office on Ruffin Road in Kearney Mesa. $23 million. That is insane. I know. And another lucky San Diegan bought three.
Mega million tickets worth $205,000 each. One on three of them. That's amazing. One on three of them. Yes. I need to start playing. Do you? I know. Can't win if you don't play. Yeah. Why not a dollar? Why not just play a dollar? Really? Yeah. One in 50 billion odds? If it's one in 50 billion odds, then why would I buy five at a time? Just buy one. Your odds, you know what I mean? Would you buy one every day? No. Just come bring me a dollar. Yeah. Just bring me a dollar every day. I remember the most depressing story. I have to tell you this really quick. It was in the news like a year ago. There was a company and every week they each, you know, put forward, it'd be like the five of us putting forward a dollar and each giving our special number and getting a ticket. Well, this company, it was like, it was Mike's week to go buy the ticket. Right. And he forgot that week. Yep. And that was the week that they would have won. Yeah. Because they get the numbers. They do the same numbers every week. Same numbers every time. Holy cow. Could you imagine? I would kill. I had lunch with my friend Terry last week, and he said that he always plays the same numbers. I said, why? He said, my first job was at an Italian restaurant. And in the back of the Italian restaurant, I would go out back, smoke a cigarette. And above the doorway...
was this old package of rigatoni that was like molded and disgusting, and it had been nailed. This package of rigatoni had been nailed to the top of the doorway. And he said he asked the owner of the restaurant that hired him, why is there a package of rigatoni nailed to the wall? He said because I played the same lottery numbers every week my whole life. The one time that I asked my wife if she could go get it, he said she couldn't do it, and I had to go get the rigatoni. I had to go get the rigatoni for her. She didn't have time. So I did. I won the lottery and she didn't buy the ticket. So that rigatoni package is nailed to the top of that doorway as a reminder to him to always get his own lottery ticket. Yeah. Wow. I know. You want something done, you got to do it yourself. I mean, imagine, because I'm sure that guy went home, watched the numbers, was like, oh, wait, you didn't get the ticket. Yeah. Terry said. that he had a monumental, like, tears. I've won the lot. Honey, we won. I didn't get the ticket. I forgot to get the ticket. Weird. That could ruin a marriage. 100%. That could ruin me easily. I mean, that's just, it's got to be pretty devastating for somebody, right? That's unbelievable. But the flip side of that, the flip side of that is, I've seen these deals on, like, I don't know, TLC, I think, did a special.
about people that have won a lot of the curse of the lottery. Oh, dude, I saw that. See that? Curse of the lottery, man. People win the lottery all the time and life goes in the pooper. Mo' money, mo' problems. Right. Yeah, because basically what they say is that however you are with money now is how you would be if you won the lottery. Right. Forget it. So if you live paycheck to paycheck, you would do, you know what I mean? You spend what you make. Yeah, spend what you make. Who doesn't? People that save. Yeah, I mean, listen, dude, Rebecca and I, we took this six. This was the when she told me about this and asked me to do it. I was like, there's no way it was a six week course. You took it once. You took it on Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for six weeks. And I remember. The first few times lugging myself into this thing. Oh, sure. Lugging myself. But it changed our lives. Really? Changed our lives. So financial planning or something? Yeah. And it basically, it teaches you how to get out of debt, how to spend your money wisely, how to, like, budget, you know? And it changed our habits, you know? It changed our habits completely, like, how we do stuff. That's why I used to be the guy that if I saw a DVD and I wanted it, I just bought it. Yeah, that's me. Aren't you still?
No. No, no. Really? I do not just buy stuff. Now, if I do get something, it's because I've saved or put something. You know, it's like that money has been allotted. Yeah, you have like an allowance for yourself. Yep. Well, the guy that won the $23 million, he said that he's going to be paying off his house and doing some traveling with his money. Absolutely. Good for him. I would do both of those things if I owned a house. Yeah. James Cameron, who directed the movie. Avatar, Titanic. Big movie director. Because of what he did with Titanic, dude used to go underwater with submarines. The other day we say on the air that he wanted to help BP with this oil thing. And I thought, really? What about Martin Scorsese? Maybe we get him in on it too. What about Mark Wahlberg? What about Aquaman? Do we call Aquaman? See if Aquaman can help out. Johnny Depp, he's a pirate. Yeah, Betty White. Yeah, Betty White. Why not? She's hot right now. Yes, she's hot right now. Let's get her in there. She'll know what's up. But I want you to take a listen to James Cameron talking about approaching BP. For 22 years, I've been working with a number, if not most, of the top people in the very small deep submergence communities. They build the subs, and I go in them, or I build a robotic.
not a part of the deep submergence community for the record you aren't for the record surprises me i'm not vehicle take it down in a sub do exploration do forensic rec surveys i'm you know i'm really involved in in uh deep ocean archaeology and rec forensics and things like that over the last few weeks i've watched as we all have with growing sort of horror and and heartache watching what's happening in the gulf and thinking those morons don't know what they're doing okay now there are a couple of things that Make me think that maybe they don't know what they're doing. One of the things that made me think that is it's been two months and it's not closed off yet. But anyway, take a listen to this. See if you see any logic in this. He first. Is that correct? Yeah. You know, I contacted them a few weeks ago and it was about. And with open arms, they said, thanks for your help. You know, they could not have been more gracious. But they basically said, we've got this. We sat in a room for 10 hours and worked this problem. And I had spent a few days studying with oil engineers and offshore drilling experts and so on. So I wasn't going to walk in looking like a bonehead. And, you know, we looked. It's a very, very complex problem. And it starts 18,000 feet down. There are things that hold them back from the object. 18,000 freaking feet down. That's amazing. That's like.
That's like Mount McKinney, bro. Yeah, more McKinley. Yeah, that one too. I was thinking of Mount McKinney on Mars, which is a really tall mountain. I should have picked on... But yeah, no, I should have thought of McKinley, which is the one on Earth. Put a clamp on it. Put a valve on it. Screw something onto it. It's a plumbing problem. It's not a plumbing problem. If they make a mistake... They can blow out down below. It can come up in 30 places, and then you'll never contain it. That's pretty gnarly. That's scary. I mean, first of all, this is kind of what came to my mind, because I'm like, James Cameron, he's the movie director. I don't care what he thinks. Then I was listening to it, and I was thinking to myself, you know what's interesting? I've learned more. Yep, I was just thinking that. I've learned more about what's happening with the oil spill. from James Cameron, director of Titanic, than I have from BP the entire time that they've been working on it over the last, however long they've been working on it. Month and a half. Yeah, so thank you, James Cameron, director of Titanic. Yeah, just simplified it, put it in layman's terms. Now I get it. He even threw out a suggestion, too, and they turned him down. They were like, yeah, we got it. Oh, it was just fine, whatever. He's a movie director, but, and I got it. But I put it.
Still, I learned a lot more listening to what he had to say. Let's see. Lauren is picking music today, so that's why we're doing a little Michael Jackson. It's good. I'm looking over her selections, and I'm telling you right now, they're good. Really? Oh, yeah. They're good. No, dude, they are. They're always good. They're good. So, Woodsy says that he and I are going to make a bet about the Padres, and I go, what is it? And he goes, don't worry about it. And I'm like, okay, well, how do I make a bet? I made an interesting observation over the weekend about myself, which was at what age do we just start to use the word?
Wonderful. Lauren. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. Woods. If I had my choice, I'd be sitting on a beach having a Marlboro. Doing nothing. Sitting. Playing my guitar. That's it. Sienna. Yes, I have big boobs. And Jay. I'm so tired. On FM 94.9. I make a big noise. Your big dish grand all over there. Singing we will. LLB's picking the music today. Doing a little we will rock you. Will we? Oh, yeah. Oh, we will. Oh, we will? We will. I'm in. Welcome back. There's a three. Finish it touches. Lakers take game one. Yeah. There it is. That's the Lake Show, dude. Listen, I'm not one. I'm not. Hey, I'm not going to be one of those guys. I've always loved the Lakers. I love the Lakers. I'm not that guy. Yeah. But anybody that beats.
Boston. I'm all the way in on. You don't like the Celtics because you don't like the Red Sox? I don't like anything to do with a city. Repulsive. It's a beautiful city. No Boston sports for you. No. Negative. Just the worst. Yeah, I just happen to love anybody that beats Boston in anything. That's great. Go Lakers. The Lakers, who now I'm a big fan of, just a huge fan, dropped the hammer on the Celtics last night. They won 102-89. Kobe ended up with 30 points, Mike, not 80. Yeah. And was very focused. Did you guys see... Can we tell that story? Tell it. Took a minute to register. This is embarrassing. This morning... Well, this morning, when I got up, I read the audio clips that we had. And there was a clip of Kobe Bryant. And it said, Kobe on scoring 80 points by the fourth quarter. Yeah. I read that and went... Whoa. Kobe scored 80 points before the fourth quarter. And I write Woods an email, and I'm like, Woods. And Woods, he just responded with 30 points. No, 30 points, smiley face. Yeah, 30. And I went, oh, no. I thought he had some on his computer screen. I know. I was like, come on, dude. I wonder if, what's the most? Isn't it like 46 or something? No way. 100 points, Will Chamberlain.
What? Really? 100 points. No way. In a real game? In a real game. Unbelievable. And I see this morning, I'm driving in, I'm like, LLB's going to ask me about that. I know it. Yeah. You did? 100 points. Yeah, I knew somebody would. What? Unbelievable. And he slayed like 10,000 women, too. Yeah. There you go. Literally. I don't know how you time for anything else. So Kobe ends up, like I said, he had 30 points. There was this clip last night. Kobe's sitting on the bench. Yeah. Chris Rock is literally this close to him. No way. That's where his sheets are. What up, Chris? They're like shoulder to shoulder. Here's Chris. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Are you kidding me? And here's Kobe. Ah. Stone cold. Did not flinch. It was unbelievable. And you know like that thing when you tell somebody a joke that they don't think is funny? Yeah. Then you start doing like the nervous laugh? That was Chris Rock. Kobe didn't say a word, didn't acknowledge his presence, was just laser, laser focused. Do you think he was heckling him? It was, no, he wasn't. I don't think he was heckling him because I think he's a fan. Yeah. But he was like, hey, Kobe, what are we going to do tonight? You know, and he was just like. Was this during the game? During the game. It was incredible. How is that? How does that happen? I mean, can you imagine if, I don't know, Mark Wahlberg.
is talking to Tom Brady on the sideline as he comes to the sideline. Like, what other sport are you allowed? Only in L.A., too. Only in L.A. Are you allowed to, like, talk to the players? That's insane to me. Your brother was there, too. Who? Paul Barton. She was sitting... He was sitting on the sidelines, and so was Adam Sandler, David Spade. They were all on the court. Really? All of them. That's our sedative end. The focus on his face, I'll try to find the clip for you, was incredible. I can't believe, I mean, because it's Chris Rock, he doesn't. But if it had just been some regular Joe, obviously, I think that he would have been like, can you? Hey, pal, shut your mouth. I'm in the middle of a game here, man. Yeah, I'm playing a game in the finals. Right, it's NBA finals. But here's, actually, and here's Kobe talking about his focus. It's cut two. Well, nothing else matters at this point. You know, immediate tension, hype around the series, it's not important at all. Yeah, Chris Rock talking to me. Yeah, telling me jokes. Yeah.
Yeah, so Ron Artest was huge, too. That dude is, he is mean, man. He is. He held Paul Pierce to 11 points through three quarters. So feast on that, Paul. Yeah. Game two is Sunday evening in L.A. Make that right. Sweet. I'm ready. I'm ready. When is it? When is it? Sunday night. Sunday. Yeah, you'll be dead asleep. Great. I can't wait. You'll be dead asleep. Well, the Padres were off last night, but they will be taking on Roy Halladay. Yes. Fresh off his perfect game tonight. So here's my bet. Padres beat Halliday tonight. You're going to a game with me. Really? Yeah. You're going to go to a game with me. A day game on a Saturday. Sure. Are you going to go this weekend? If. No, they're not. Other than Philly. But if they go out and beat Halliday today, I'm dragging you to a game. Okay. Okay. Deal. Just because of why? And you're paying. Day game. What? Wait. How did it go to? Yeah. Okay. That's the bet? Yeah. Well, wait, wait, wait. What do I get? If, you know. You get to go see the baseball game. No, no, no. I mean, if I win the bet. Okay, I'll give you a massage. What? Yeah. Give me a massage. This is not a bet. This is not a massage. I'll rub your neck. I'll rub your neck for you. Rub my neck. I want you to rub my neck. Don't you. I don't. Don't you. That's weird. Don't you. Okay, well, what could you do for Mike? What's something that Mike wants to do? Yeah. Yeah. I'll dry clean all your robes.
Really? Shine your shoes. What about babysit the kids? Hundreds. No, no, no. He's like, no, no, no. Well, if Jamie's there too, then it'll be fine. Okay. You come over and you have to watch something that I choose. Done. All right. Done. Really? Yeah. Anything. What kind of stuff do you watch? The weirdest stuff. Yeah, stuff you'll not be interested in at all. But I'll do it. Yeah, I'll be like, hey, Woods, we're going to watch a documentary on the making of the Winchester rifle. That's a great example. It's only two and a half hours long. It's only two and a half hours long. It's really good. Make sure I grab a Xanax before I head over. And the Chargers made a move yesterday. They signed tight end Randy McMichael. Used to play for the Rams. Pretty good tight end. He's going to back up Antonio Gates. I guess they're just not seeing much from Diedrich Epps, who they drafted in the seventh round. Guy's been pretty solid, though. I think it's a really solid pickup. And I'm sitting here today. I'm a change man. I guess I grew a conscience or a heart overnight. Remember the umpire that blew the perfect game call? Oh, yeah. Okay, so the way umpiring works, there's a crew of four, and they go from series to series. So he had to work first base that night. The next night he had to work behind home plate. So he's still in Detroit, same ballpark, was getting booed.
Family getting threats, this and that. Which, by the way. That's BS. That's complete BS. It's a game. Yeah. But I was all for just, I was, you know, very against it. It was a total, it was a terrible call. Well, he came out last night behind home plate and he was crying. Was so upset. Oh my gosh. I saw him. He was a cute older guy. And so they actually had the pitcher bring the lineup card out. And they did like a bro hug and like a pat. And he was like wiping tears away. And I was watching and I was like, all right. Dude. You're forgiven. He's sorry. Let me tell you. He's human. He is. Of course he is. But it's such a bad call. Well, here's the deal. I actually, I heard him in like a press conference. And he says, I blew it. I blew it. He says, I took that game away from that kid out there. And I, he says, nobody feels worse than me. And I. blew it. And I thought, wow, man, that is really... So if the guy that made the call is saying, yeah, it was a bad call, why can't they just overturn it in the books? It's a great segue. Bud Selig came out yesterday. He's the commissioner of baseball. He came out and said they will not reverse the call. I actually think that they should because it all goes away for Jim Joyce then. Galarraga gets what he wants. But Bud Selig has done nothing for Major League Baseball. Can I give you a devil's advocate on this? Oh, boy.
I think the reason that he's not is because let's say that he goes, okay, let's reverse the call. And then every single dude that's ever had anything go wrong comes up and goes, hey, what about my game? You better look up my game from June 26, 2009. Last, you better look. And then this other guy. But does anybody have as much at stake? This guy had a perfect game at stake. There's going to be people that are going to say they had their own personal records at stake for batting. Now I didn't bat 225. I would have batted 325. Only that call would have been gotten right. People would come out and say, well, had this guy got this call right, the playoffs would have changed. I mean, there's all kinds of stuff. And I get it. You know, Seelig is just kind of an idiot anyway, but whatever. And on a sad note, UCLA basketball coach, Hall of Famer John Wooden has been hospitalized. He's 99 years old. And that guy is so inspiring. Bro, he is one of the most. We used to do a lot of John Wooden stuff in our sales training. The pyramid. I had it on my office wall. He led UCLA to 10 championships, including seven in a row. Yeah. It's pretty.
99. 99. If you go to his website, his little voice is on there. Really? Talking about the pyramid. Incredible. Incredible. Can you imagine, man? I mean, 99. You don't ever hear people living to be 99 years old. That's so cool. I know. He's a legend. He will be missed when he goes. And the Yankees swept the Orioles. So that's it. Really? It's been a while. Which is a Yankee fan. Is he? He is. I didn't know that about you. Tell me where you are on this. Mikey Show. I need your guys' help. ASAP. Yes! Yes! Woods throws. Yeah! It's his... It's my new bit. It's my new bit. It's his new bit. I love that. For the record. I'm not impressed. Yeah. Aren't you? He tries to throw his sports paper in the trash from across the room, so he crumbles it in a ball, but instead of hitting the trash can, he hits the guitar, and the strings go... You're like one for 37. I know, two. Two for 37. Two for 37. Mikey loves it. Let's see. Mikey Show, need your help on this ASAP. I've been freaking out since Saturday and haven't really been able to talk to anyone about this. Saturday, one of my guy friends sent me a text that said,
Hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. So what's the big deal? He's getting married this month. I wrote him back and said, was that text for me? And he wrote, yeah, dot, dot, dot. Sorry, dot, dot, dot. Have a good night. I am friends with him and his fiance. I met them at the same time and he's never hit on me or even flirted with me. We have a lot of mutual friends and I haven't talked to any of them about this. If you were me, would you confront him, his fiance, both? Help. M1OMG. Wow. I say, leave it alone. If he's never flirted with you before, then... Maybe. I don't know. It's not your place. I think he's just being nice. High, beautiful. High, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. High, beautiful. Scares me. Listen. Scares you. Scares you. I mean, there's no doubt it's wrong. He says, yes, I sent it. Sorry. Have a good night. Wait a minute. First of all, yes, you sent it. That means.
That you knew what you were sending when you sent it. The next thing you say is sorry, which acknowledges that you know that it's wrong. Yeah. So you're saying you're sorry. I think he's saying sorry because he thought she would be in. Yeah, he thought he would. I think maybe. Okay. Again, he's acknowledging. He knew it was wrong. He knows he's a creep. Yeah. Now, I guess the question becomes, do I do anything about the fact that I know that a mutual friend. is a complete and total creep. Nope. Now, my philosophy on it is... I'm surprised you guys both said no right off the bat. I think no way. No way. I think no way. I'd tell him. I'd go right there. Really? If it was a guy that's always flirted with me, and it was like, you knew that this is just a shady guy. But this, it's a girl. She says that she's friends with both of them. You don't know if she's better friends with a girl, maybe, but it doesn't say that. So, let it slide. How about this? How about this? You tell her or I do. Really, dude? No. Let me keep your eyes on your own paper. Just delete it and move on. Now, if by paper you mean my cell phone, sorry, I already did. Delete it and move on. I did keep my eyes on my own paper. I'm the whistleblower. Whistleblower. Wait, wait, wait. Whistleblower is if you see it with somebody else.
This is me. Right. Here's the deal. You just texted me. Hi, I'm Johnny Tattletail. Hi, I'm Johnny Tattletail. You just texted. Tattletail is I see it happen over there. And I'm like, I'm going to be a Tattletail. Okay, well, what if the shoe's in the other footwoods? What? What if when you were engaged to Jamie, she texted Bark Malman. Okay. Same type of deal. Nothing. He never told you. Said, hey, handsome. Hope you're doing well. No, says, hey, handsome, thinking of you. Thinking about you. Oh, would bother me not at all. No, no, no. Not one bit. Wait, wait, wait. So how about this? She says, hey, handsome, thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. Not a problem. Okay, maybe not Bark Malman. With Malman, not a problem. Okay, how about this? How about she says, hey, handsome, thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. And he texts back, was this text for me? And she texts back, yeah, sorry, have a good night. Which, okay, he doesn't say anything to you. Years later, wait a minute, years later, years later, something goes sideways. You know, you find out about it. You're like, I can't believe, not with him, with someone else. And Bark Malman says to you, yeah, dude, I should have seen this coming. You know, years ago, you know, actually.
I still have the text. It's still on my phone. That text to me just seems... Hey, listen. That text to me seems very mildly inappropriate. And I mean mildly inappropriate. Yeah, it's mildly inappropriate. Mildly. But wouldn't it... If it was like, hey, door's unlocked. Come on in. Now that's a problem. I'm beating some... Well, let me just say... Maybe Mark Melman's a bad example. Let me just say that, Woodsy, if you ever text my wife, hi, beautiful... thinking about you, hope you're behaving yourself tonight, I will consider it monumentally inappropriate. Okay, but here's the deal. Too late, pal. Sorry. Gross, gross, gross. How about you know who you're marrying? Yeah. You know what I mean? This girl, okay, if this guy has a tendency of doing things like this, maybe it's the first time he did it with that girl, you know in the back of your mind who you're marrying. Maybe you don't want to say, oh, he has those tendencies, he has those tendencies out loud, but you know. Sienna makes a good point. You don't always know. Sienna makes a good point. I've said this before. Are you really surprised? Really? Are you? And the reason that I say that is we do know who we're marrying.
And what I mean by that is I wonder if this would be a complete shock to this girl. I wonder if it would be a complete shock. And the reason that I say that is you can't really. I mean, do you really hide this type of guy? You know what I mean? This is OK. I know I have several good friends who found out way worse about their guys. And they were completely in the dark because they had. sicknesses, and they were basically leading a double life. So you don't always know. And I can't say that you just don't always know. I think you do. Well, they're not going to tell you they knew because they don't want to look dumb. Well, that's why you rely on your friends to be honest with you. That's what I want for my friends. Hey, listen. Let me just say this. Friends with both of us. If my wife ever texted one of my friends and said,
Hey, handsome. Thinking about you. Too late. Stop it. Listen, I want that dude to go, hey, bro. Look at this. Bro, I need you to know about something. First of all, I'd be eternally grateful to this guy for telling me that. What? I would just show it to you. Was she joking? Did he grab your boob or something? I would not. I wouldn't say that. Well, but it's like he didn't do anything. She said no. It's pretty mild. You know, like he hopefully was like, oh, never doing that again. Is there a reason to call off their wedding? No. Yes. You're ruining their wedding. It's not their decision. Question, question, question, question, question. Welcome to 1700 Puritanville. Exactly. It's not their decision. Excuse me. Excuse me. How about, I'm just going to ask you just a simple point. Let's say. Oh, boy. Let's say that he wrote, Hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. And she texted back, I'm not. In fact, what are you doing? And he texted back. That's different. Wait, wait, wait. See, the only thing is, though, Woods.
She didn't text that back. She was actually a good person. Let's say she'd been a scoundrel and texted back, I'll tell you what I'm doing tonight. You. How about I make up a scenario that fits what I want? No, no, no. All I'm saying is this girl said no. He threw it out there. This girl said no. Yeah, that guy's fishing. Yeah, fishing with dynamite. Right, and let's say he didn't catch anything. Let's say he did. He's not. Oh, well. But that's not what happened. Get married. Get married. With another girl? When there's intercourse, then you call off the wedding. It's a little different. Then you call. So, listen. He didn't get the intercourse, but if he does get the intercourse. Yeah, then you call it off. He wanted the intercourse. Did he? He didn't get it. You don't know that. Who knows what he wanted? Oh, okay. I have a perfect example. What's it like over there in Naiveville? It's not. It's not. You can't just ruin people's lives over a text. I know. Oh, my God. Look at this. He's totally beautiful. He's trying. Let's call it off. Sienna, how would you feel if Todd did that right before you guys? She'd slit his throat. She'd slit his throat. I would slit his throat. But he, the thing is, is I know he never would. You're saying you would rather not know, Sienna. Yes, I would. Honestly, I don't think I would. If it was something so dumb like that, I would not let him know. If it's that dumb, then why not know? If it's not that important, why not? Because it's...
Okay. Because then it's like, I'm annoyed right now. Just look at this. I've got this information. I want you to look at this information. Do with it what you will. Do with it what you will. And maybe I'm a jerk for showing you that your boy, that your fiance wanted to bone me. Maybe I'm the jerk. But you do with it whatever you want. You said, what are we naive? I think I'd be more inclined to contact the guy than my friend. Dude, you'd tell her. And be like, dude, what are you? What's going on here? That's the first thing I said. You go, hey, man, you tell her I do. I've got one for you, though. You know how Facebook shuffles your friends now and random people shove every day? Yeah. There's a girl that lives in Dallas, used to date one of my best friends, one of the guys that was here last weekend. Know her, love her, sweetest can be. Last night, it pops up. I go, oh, there's a little E-lock. I go, hey, sweetie. I said, hey, E. I saw your pretty face pop up on my thing. Thought I'd say hi. Hope you're doing well. So she responded. Jamie was laying next to me on the couch. She goes, that's kind of flirty what you wrote. I go, I don't think so. I don't either. I think it's really flirty. See, but I know people like that, too. That's how I talk. Talk to me like that also. That's how I talk. Hi, sweetheart. How are you? But that girl said he's never, like, flirted with her. And I've never flirted. And I go, Jamie, that's Adam's ex-girlfriend. And that's your personality. And I'm not. That wasn't meant to be like.
How you doing, gorgeous? But I think if that girl's writing in, that's not what that guy's like. You know what I think? And you guys are going to get mad at me. But I think this girl is single and miserable. What? She's not single. She's in... Oh, wait. She is single and wants to throw a wrench. No way, Tiana. I was thinking about that. No way. My jaw dropped open. I was thinking about that, too. She's trying to be a good person. I mean, I see that, but it's like, come on. If she was single and miserable, why not jump on the train and get slayed? I said it's going to make you mad. That's just what I think. Oh, my gosh. That's what I think. Okay, okay. This topic will continue because we are getting... blowing up phone lines, 570-1949. We got M1 Baller from Poway waiting. We got M1 No Way from San Diego. No Way. Yeah, we got a guy that says, keep quiet. And I don't know if it's a guy or a girl. Is this M1 No Way guy or girl? Who are you? Girl. Girl, hang on the line, okay? Hang on the line. She says, keep quiet. Yes, I agree. I agree.

On the 805 northbound between Telegraph Canyon Road, looks like traffic is starting to slow just a little bit. Not too bad. Oh, my goodness. LLB's picking up music today, and that is They Might Be Giants. I think it's They Might Be Clowns. No, stop it. They Might Be Crap. Don't you like Particle Man? Who doesn't? Who doesn't? Yeah, I think that's probably everybody's top three island record, you know? I Can't Leave Without Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam, whatever, and Particle Man. I'm huge into them.
Weird. Welcome back. Okay, so I got to read you this email again so that you know what we're talking about here. It's getting heated. This email is making me feel icky. We all, during that break, were like having to bite our tongues to not talk about it because we want to save it all for the air because we were all flipping out over our opinions. A little bit split here. Sienna and Woods seem to be on the same page. I don't... I think... I'm on the fence here. I am clearly like... Are you kidding me with this text? Yeah, you and Jay are on one side. And you're in the middle? I'm in the middle. It's like my childhood all over again. Okay, so... So here's what it says. Mikey, I've been freaking out since Saturday and haven't really been able to talk to anyone about this. Saturday, one of my guy friends sent me a text that said, Hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. She says, So what's the big deal? He's getting married this month. I wrote him back and said, Was that text for me? And he wrote, Yeah, sorry. Have a good night. I'm friends with him and his fiance. I met them at the same time, and he's never hit on me or even flirted with me.
We have a lot of mutual friends, and I haven't talked to any of them about this. If you were me, would you confront him, his fiance, or both? Help, M1OMG. OMG. I want to know what time this happened. Probably 2 a.m. Yeah. Why do you want to know that? Because it makes a difference. Makes a difference. Okay, so. What's the difference between it happening at 1 p.m. or 1 a.m.? Probably if he were drinking or something. Maybe he was trying to hook this chick up with one of his boys. For the record, if one of my boys is drunk, that doesn't give them a pass to want to slay my wife. No, no, no. In fact, that still makes them a dirt man. No, no, no, no, no, no. This girl in the email, she's single. Maybe the guy that's engaged wants to hook her up with one of his boys. Why does that not sound like that could be the case? I'll tell you why. I'll tell you why. Okay. Because he wrote, hi, beautiful, thinking about you. Yeah. I'm thinking about you for my buddy. Why would he say? I have a friend. And if he said, why would he say sorry? Because. Why not? Sorry to bother you. Sorry to bother you. Yeah, that text was for you. A buddy of mine is here and wants to meet you. Because he was probably like, oh, I don't know why that freaked her out. Still no reason to go.
Are we little kids? But why not call the guy and be like, what was the intention behind that text? That's the move. That's the move is to call the guy and go, hey, man, were you creeping on me? No. How awkward is that? He's going to be like, no. What's wrong with you? When she says back to him, was that text for me? If he was trying to hook her up with one of his boys, if he has any brain in his head, and she writes back, was that text for me? And he has any brains in his head. and the truth is he was trying to hook her up with one of his boys, he says, I'm going to say something else. Hey, I was trying to hook you up with one of my boys. Relax. Settle down. Settle down. Don't yell at me. Don't yell at me. Oh, no, Sienna. Maybe she's a little scandalous, and he thought she'd be down. Then why is she writing us?
No, to hook up with his friend. And he was like, oh, maybe, you know, because that's why he sent the text thinking, oh, she'd be down to go hang out and hook his boy up with her. That's fine. But when she texts back, was this for me? When she texts him back and goes, was this for me? He goes, thought you might be interested in one of my boys. Yeah, but that's why he didn't want to hurt her feelings to let her know that she's scandalous. Huh? No. It's going to be in your bowl. Yeah. Emma, no way from San Diego. Are you there? I'm here. Okay. You say that this girl should keep quiet about what this guy said to her. Absolutely. Okay. How come? All right. So I had my two closest friends. I was friends with him before her. They got engaged. She called me one night because she cheated on him. I kept quiet about it for a couple weeks, struggled with it big time. And eventually I felt like, you know, I would want to know. I would want to know if I were the guy. I told him, I have not heard from either of them. These are my two closest friends. Our kids played together. We saw them every weekend. Never heard from either of them again. Cut out of their lives. And that is, she actually cheated on him. So, you know, this is something small. She could break up a marriage. She could ruin the rest of their lives over something. He didn't actually cheat. He didn't.
You know, across that line, I think that... Well, can I ask you a couple of questions about your situation? Yeah. When the girl told you that she cheated on this guy, was she bragging? She called me because she said she wanted me to talk her out of it. And I was like, hell no, don't do it. And then at the end of the conversation, she's like, well, I already did. And, you know, through the week, she was like, yeah, the thing is, I don't really regret it. I don't really feel regret. So it was that kind of thing. It wasn't like she was bragging. She was just, I don't know. Okay. Well... In the situation, the way that you're laying it out, he is your friend. Was this guy that she was engaged to, was he as much of your friend as she was? He was more of my friend. He was my friend first. You absolutely did the right thing, in my opinion. You absolutely did the right thing. It's horrific that that guy got into a marriage with that girl who cheated on him and didn't care. Didn't have any remorse. Didn't care.
You absolutely did the right thing. To this day, they may still be in a dysfunctional, messed up marriage. They still married? They haven't gotten married. This was last summer, so they're still engaged. But they've got two kids together. It sounds like a train wreck. The whole thing sounds like a train wreck. I think it's because they have kids. But, you know, one of you guys said, you know, she's just a... She's just lonely and single. And I think that that's what they thought about me. I feel like that's what our friends thought about me. She's just lonely and single. She wants to break us up. Listen, their absolutely dysfunctional train wreck of a relationship doesn't say anything about you. It says everything about her. It says everything about her. Nothing about you. It doesn't have anything to do with who you are. It has everything to do with who she is. Go ahead, Ella B. Can I say something on the flip side to M1 No Way? I had a friend in college and she was dating this guy and none of us really liked him because he would get drunk and hit on us. And we saw him sometimes if she went home early from a party, he would like be creeping on girls, like never saw him do anything, but saw him creepy. And then when she called me, she.
Kind of tricked me and told me that she left me a message saying, I need you to call me back right away. And I was like, oh, man, they must have finally broken up. They dated for like three years. She was just tricking me so that when I called her, what's the matter? She said, I'm in jail. So we all wanted to be like, don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. And none of us said anything because we were like, it's not our place. It's not our place. She got married to him like a year later. He cheated on her. And, you know, she went through a ton of heartbreak, got a divorce. Yeah. Hey, listen. And here's the deal. If you had told her about it, there's no guarantee that she would have called off the wedding. But the cool thing is, is that at least at that point, you don't have to deal with the fact that you knew something pretty creepy and you didn't say anything about it. And I think about that. I'm like, man, could I have maybe saved her some heartache if she had known some things? Now, a lot of times when the person's like, they're going to do what they're going to do. They're going to get married. That's the way it is.
You know, they're going to do what they're going to do. But I don't think that M won no way. And she's it sounds like she regrets it because she lost two friends. Hey, listen, you did the right thing. I mean, at least, you know, you did. I think even I agree with that. I mean, in that case, there's no question there was admitted infidelity. This text message is a lot different than knowing that they slayed. I'll tell you another thing, bro. If I'm presented with that, if that's me or really any dude. I'm getting out of that no problem. No problem. What do you mean? I'm like, are you kidding me over a text message that said, hey, I think your friend's sweet. I call everybody honey, beautiful, sweetie. But how do you know he does that? I don't know that he does. But I'm telling you, me, I'm out of that no problem. No problem. Now, what you're saying is I'm out of that no problem. Like he doesn't get in trouble for it. Even if I had no intention. Even if I had no intention of. Being creepy. Was just saying, hey, how are you? Okay, but the problem is, is that this, the way that this is presented is, there is no doubt. Yes, there is. Yes, there is total doubt. There 100% is doubt. If he said, hey, I want to see you nude in my bed, there's no doubt. But, hey, sweetie, thinking about you, there's doubt. That's why I think she should ask him. I do, too. It's been bothering me. I've thought about it for a week. I wrote into a radio show. I'll tell you what. You be the defense. Okay.
And I'll be the prosecutor. You want to make your case first? Absolutely. Go ahead. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, in this text message, may I see the text message you question? Yeah, absolutely. And we have a jury here. We have a jury. We have a jury. I'm going to read this text for you guys. Hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. To me, and I don't want to put words in your mouth, sounds like a very concerned friend. Can I read it? Can I try to read it? No, no, no. I want to read it. Sounds like a very concerned friend to me. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, In this text message, is there anything about sex? No? No. Is there anything about getting naked? No, no. No? Okay. Is there anything insinuating intercourse? No, no. Okay. Defense rest, pal. Thank you. Thank you. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I'm going to read you a text message. Yes.
And as you consider this text message, I'd like to ask you if you've ever gotten a text message like this before yourselves. And specifically you ladies, okay? Because as I read this to you ladies, I want you to know that this came from a man, okay? Hi, beautiful. Dot, dot, dot. Thinking about you. Period. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. Now, I want you to ask yourselves, ladies, if you ever received a text message like that, what that usually implied now since we don't know what this particular message implied i want to now let you know that that message came from a man who's engaged to be married and i want you to know that it came to a girl who is his friend oh and by the way she's also friends with the fiance that he's going to marry now she texted him back before you before we prosecute this man
that wrote this message. I want you to know that before we jumped to any conclusions, said woman texted him back. You see, she wanted to make sure that he didn't have any slimy intentions. Objection leading. Sustained. Thank you. Sustained. The jury will disregard slimy intentions. The jury will disregard slimy intentions. So let me rephrase. Nicely done, Woods. Thank you. Let me rephrase. You see, she wanted to make sure that she knew that he wasn't a complete dirtbag. No, it's in their heads. Objection. Objection. Objection. I move for a mistrial. I move for a mistrial. Sustained. Counsel, you will not say something like that again to those jurors. I move for a mistrial, Your Honor. This is a blatant disregard for the law. Listen, defense, I apologize. That was way out of line. That was way out of line. That was way out of line. Well played. So she wanted to clarify his intentions. So she texted back, was that text for me? To which he replied, yeah, dot, dot, dot. Sorry, dot, dot, dot. Have a good night. Now, my definition of the word sorry may be different than your guy's definition of the word sorry.
In my world, sorry implies, yes, I apologize. Usually an apology follows something that was done wrong. Now, in my opinion, we're all just kind of beleaguering a point. We know exactly what dude wanted to do. Objection. Oh, objection. Hey, listen, when you're doing your prosecutor, you got to paint your case and you get to punch holes in it. Objection, smart ass. Dude wanted to slay. She wasn't up for it. Objection. Speculation. I rest my case. Do you? Okay, I have a question, Mike. Yeah. Now, if this was Rebecca who sent this text to a guy while you're engaged, would you end your relationship? Absolutely. However. What? Over a text that said that? Over that text? Over that text. My gosh. Holy cow. Wow, Rebecca, you better not sneeze wrong. Seriously? Hang on, hang on. Okay, what that means is, what that means is, what that means is, is that if I don't, if I don't break it off, it means that I'm not only okay with this text, but I'm okay with her doing it in the future, too. Because if I don't do anything about it, it means that I admit there's nothing wrong. Okay. What I was trying to get at is if you said...
No, probably not. But it would be a cause for discussion. That friend who told you like M1 No Way that called in, you guys wouldn't be friends with that person anymore. Right. The person that told you. And I'm sure you and Rebecca would work it out. You would have a problem, but you would work it out. You would most likely end up getting married. That guy might go from. You would lay down the law a little bit and be like, you can't just like, I'm not going to marry someone. Like, what is this? Is it a sign that you're going to cheat? And she'll be like, no, no, no, no, no. Is it a sign? Well, it, it, she didn't. A sign is a warning. This isn't a warning. This is a fire. It's not a fire. A fire would be if you walked in on her sniffing his neck or something. Right. The only reason that didn't happen, by the way, the only reason I didn't walk in on them sniffing necks is because she said, sorry, I ain't going to bone you. Well, both of you would not be friends with that friend anymore. Bottom line. And Sienna said earlier, she said, I'm pretty sure the fiance knows what kind of guy this is. And I said, you don't always know. And she said, don't you? How do you know? Red flags. And this is a red flag right here. It's a tiny little red flag. No, you know. Okay, you know. Tiny. It's like a pink flag. In any relationship. It's not that big a deal. If it's not a big a deal, that means that we go. Fuchsia.
No harm. Listen, if this is no big a deal, we go, let's get married. No big a deal. This is no big a deal. No big a deal. It's no big a deal, okay? You can do it when we're married, all right? It's no big a deal. Yeah, it means if we get married, you send these texts to all of my friends. Why don't I give you all of my friends' numbers so you can text the same message to them on those cold and lonely nights when I'm not home. Cold and lonely nights. Please. Oh, boy. This guy is a douche with a capital D. We don't know him. To me, it calls for further clarification. You know, when I walk in your house, like if I come to your house for dinner or whatever, we're going to go somewhere. When I see Rebecca, standard, standard line. Hey, gorgeous. How are you? Big hug, kiss on the forehead. But that's you, Woods. How do you know there's guys not like Woods? I know plenty of guys that are like Woods. You think I want to slay Rebecca? Yeah. This girl and then, but okay, we had this discussion yesterday. We had this discussion yesterday. Nicknames, like I like nicknames, like, you know, some of the ones that Woods gives. Lauren doesn't. Maybe this girl's like Lauren doesn't like that and that came off as a red flag. But to me, that wouldn't be a red flag because I know that's his personality. You can't be so cut and dry. But if she knows that's his personality, why would that be?
such an OMG for her. Let me ask a question. Oh, boy. Okay? Thinking about you is in the text. Yeah, I don't like that. Maybe she's going through a rough time. Hey, you know what, pal? I was thinking about you and Rebecca this morning. You said you had a rough night last night. I would, next time I saw Rebecca go, you know, I was thinking about you the other night. Doesn't mean I want to slay her. That sounds awful. Does not mean I want to slay her. Really? You would text her? I wouldn't text her. No, but this is a text. You know what? To be honest with you, pal, After I didn't hear back to me last night, I almost texted her and said, hey, I hope you guys are doing okay thinking about you. You guys. Would that be creepy? Yeah. That would be creepy. She doesn't know what you're talking about. She doesn't know the context. She doesn't know anything. Last night, our kids were going crazy. And right as the kids are going crazy, people are showing up for growth group, and our nanny's gone. Right. And so we're just running around, and we're trying to get everything ready, and we can't. So it was a crazy night. The kid worries about you. Yeah. I think that's wonderful. And if you had texted me and said, hey, dude, I'm thinking about you. I did. You did. I did. I think that's wonderful. If you had just randomly texted Rebecca, hey, thinking about you, she probably would have been like, what? That's not what I would have said. What would you have said? I said, hey, I heard things are crazy over there. Just want you guys to know that we're thinking about you or I'm thinking about you. There's context.
Now, in context, that makes sense. There's nothing wrong with that, obviously. But this doesn't have any context. This is a guy saying, hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you behave yourself. You're out tonight. Stay out of trouble. Maybe she's going through a breakup. Can I? Oh, that's funny. Because Woodsy just got a sly little smile on his face that he couldn't control. I don't know what you're talking about. Can I throw something in there? We're on the radio. They can't see that. Woodsy is very like, like you said, he throws out like the, yeah, exactly. And is like affectionate and he's a big teddy bear and everything. Fat teddy bear. I just went through a breakup, a hard time. If he, even Woods, who I know, I know him and I know he has no intentions with me whatsoever. If he sent me that exact text on a Saturday night, kind of like out of the blue, even though I like just went through a breakup and everything, I'd still be like. What? From me, even? Yes. Of course. Okay, but I had a couple months ago a rough day when I was in here, and I had to go and leave, and it was a bad day. He probably sent me the exact same text. Probably. Hey, beautiful, thinking about you. Yeah. And I was like, oh, so nice. Thanks. Exactly. That was also a very cause and effect. Like, right afterwards, this, like, if she's...
Even writing in, it's like, she's obviously like, well, there's no good reason for that. Maybe she's L-O-B and not Sienna. There's a case for that. Can I say this? Yeah. If Woods were willing to cheat with Sienna eight months ago, I would have thought he was a creep. If Woods was willing to cheat with a third trimester, Sienna, it's a whole different level of creep. No, no, no. And so if you got that text a couple of weeks ago, of course I wouldn't think anything about it, Sienna, because you're in your third. No, that's different. I'm saying. And you're married. And you're married. And I've said before, I have a lot of friends that are like Woods. And they leave me messages like that all the time. And they don't. It doesn't mean they're trying to hook up with me. Hey, listen. I get it. You're in your third trimester right now. No, when I wasn't pregnant, Mike. When I wasn't married, Mike. They would send you texts and be like, hey, beautiful. Yes. If I'm your husband, I'm like, yeah, maybe you tell Brian.
To mellow out. You think you guys take yourself too seriously? No. I don't know. Not to mention, Todd knows these people. And he knows how they are. He knows Woods. If he would send me that text message, he would laugh. If I wasn't pregnant and if we weren't married, he would be like, oh, Woods. Because he knows how these guys are. Yeah. I don't need it. Listen. I'll put it out there. I don't have any problems putting it out there. I don't need any dude texting my wife, hey, beautiful. And if you do, I'm not going to like it. Just putting it out there. I don't like it. And a lot of people do. And I don't think any guy really wants any dude, especially good-looking ones, texting their wife. If Mark Bauman texted Jamie and said, hey, gorgeous, Bauman's going to be here next week. And he'll walk in and go, that's my girl, this sweet girl. He'd give her a kiss on the lips. Have a bowl. That's different than a random cat. See, there are people. What is this, France? No, Mike. What is it, not? Mike, there are so many people that are like you, but there are a lot of guys that are like that. Fine. And you can't be like, oh, he wants to see my face now. No, dude, you have the worst intentions. You can't think the worst of everybody. I'm not thinking the worst. It's absolutely thinking the worst. To me, I think that there's implication in there. Sorry to bother you. Sorry to bother you. He didn't say sorry to bother you. He said sorry.
Yeah. Why is he apologizing? Because it's a text message. Maybe he'd have time to write the Declaration of Independence. Sorry. Sorry to bother you. Sorry. So if it's no big deal, then why can't they just show it to the girl? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Maybe he doesn't care. Maybe he already told her. He's not going to think that's going to ruin his marriage. Well, then it won't if she shows him. His new name is Encyclopedia Brown. He's Encyclopedia Brown. I don't get what he's saying. He's saying, if it's no big deal, I show it. Show what? Show the fiance. Oh, my gosh. You say to your friend, all giggly and fun. Oh, my gosh. I got the cutest text from your fiance last night. He's so nice. He's so nice. You know what he said? He's so sweet. He said, hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. Yeah, because if I'm that guy, I'm not worried about it. Yeah, exactly. I'm not worried about it. I know my intentions. If he was up to no good, then he would be backpedaling. He would think of everything he could. He would go to that girl first before she got to him. Don't say anything. Don't say anything. OMG's thing. You say, oh my gosh, I got the sweetest text from your fiance last night. OMG, after four and a half hours of debate, we've come to an answer. Do that. Yeah, you call her up and you say, hey, I got the sweetest text from your fiance last night. Although I have to tell you, it kind of was weird.
No, no, no. You don't even say that. You go like this. You go, hey, I got the sweetest text from your fiance last night. It says, hi, beautiful. Thinking about you. Hope you're behaving yourself tonight. And I was like, oh, my gosh. And I texted him back. Was that text for me? And he wrote, yeah, sorry. Have a good night. Man, I think if he does it again, then you have a red flag. No, go for it. Just do it. You guys should probably call off the wedding. No, if it's no big deal, just go ahead. You should pants him at the altar. Yeah, pants him at the altar. Maybe cut his piece off. Really? Maybe not. Really? Yeah. Let's go back to Roman time. Maybe we feed him to the lions. No, now all of a sudden you guys are protecting him. He didn't do anything wrong. Because he's so defensive. He may not have done anything wrong. Because we're trying to be you guys. We didn't do anything. Hey, I'm going to create a scenario that's going to work for my argument. That's what I'm going to do. He didn't do anything wrong, though. I know he did it. She's just pointing out how cute. Hey, guys, when there's intercourse, then you can drop the hammer on the guy. Well, then what's wrong with her showing him? Let's see. She should. Hang on. She will. She will. We have every phone line blown up. Oh, my gosh. M1, Chris from Chula Vista. You there? Yeah, I'm here. What do you think? You know, I've gotten in trouble with that with my fiance also. I mean, I have a friend that lives in Colorado. I've known her for about 11 years now.
And every once in a while, I'll text her, hey, beautiful, how you doing? How's your life going? But that's not the way my fiance sees it. She thinks of it as, oh, you're trying to cheat on me. You're trying to hit on her and this and that. And what do you say to the friend in Colorado? Hey, beautiful, you know, how's your life going? How's your kid? Yeah, I don't think you should. You should probably cut your head off. You probably should. I have friends that. Your hands. Your hands. Your hands. I have friends that check in on me, whatever, and I wouldn't go to their. like march over to their fiance and say, look what he sent me. If I was used to, that's how my friend talks to me. But he's saying that his fiance sees it and isn't okay with it. So this girl that's writing in is getting, she's the one getting the red flag. I've never gotten a text like that from him before. That's true. You know, that's true. It's a good point. It's out of character for this guy. Maybe, Hey, here's the deal. Maybe he is being a creep. I'm saying maybe he is. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Friday morning. Being brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate. Check out Jimbo's natural relocations.
to take advantage of all the fine product lines that Guayaquil Yerba Monte has out there for you, new flavors included. Surf-wise today, looking at a combination, once again, out of the southwest, with a bit more west-northwest wind swell joining into it. That means slightly more consistent surf, albeit still inconsistent overall. And it's hitting more areas now, too, as that swell combination continues to kind of peak waves up and give you a little bit more open face and corner to be found. Negative low tide later this morning will affect size and shape at all areas, and there is a light south wind that at the present time really isn't affecting most areas very much. Cloudy skies will greet you as well. Water temperature in that lower 60-degree range, too. Beach breaks looking fairly fine in that need-to-waste occasional chest-tight zone. Standout spots open to the south swell sea. Occasional waves a little bit larger, but again, it is incomplete or inconsistent to be sure for waves of that nature. I'm calling for the beach breaks to be pretty fun right now. Reef breaks, too, at the top south-facing spots. For up-to-the-minute surf reports forecast, go to surfline.com. And for everything you need in order to go surf, check out one of South Coast Surf Shops, five locations, or go online at southcoast.com. This surf report is brought to you, of course, by Guayaki Yerba Mate, and it can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report.
Back to the Mikey Show. Mikey. Don't really like to swim. Unlike most Latinos. Sienna. Every time I go to the grocery store, I know someone practically in every aisle. Woods. The best movie ever made. Footloose. Lauren. I have to admit, I like party in the USA. And Jay. I don't watch sports. I have nothing to do. If I'm not playing, I don't want to see it. This is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Tamarama. LLB picking the music today. You can... Go to Mikey's show, or excuse me, go to Facebook.com and find the Mikey Show's fan page there. A little bit later today, she will post her playlist from today. So if you like the music you're hearing and you want to find it, you can read it there later today. A kid forgot to do his yesterday. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I'll put mine up, too. Woodsy has an appearance. I do.
When is it? Today? Today. Today. I'm going to be down in Sports Arena at the Sunglass and Optical Warehouse. Yeah, what's Lauren's giving me there? The eyes. She's giving me the upside down glasses. It's funny to me. She's such a nerd. But yeah, it's the Sunglass and Optical Warehouse. It's in the Sports Arena area. And I will be there from noon to two. I'm giving away... I have... So many concert tickets to give away. It's ridiculous. To Mumford & Sons? To Mumford & Sons, Tribal Seeds, Delta Spirit, Cage the Elephant. Nice. And Papa John gift certificates, Ultra Star Movie Passes. It's going to be rad. But Sunglass and Optical Warehouse, they have... Discounted designer sunglasses. I seriously buy all of mine there. They are the best. I can't wait. I have three pairs to buy today, too. So, perfect. Including mine. And mine, too. And both of yours. I'll give those to you with the Crazy Heart CD. Okay. Never. Cool. 12 to 2. Come out. Hang out with the kids. Yeah, you've kind of been saying that for a while with the Crazy Heart. I might make all the mixes for you, pal. That's right. Make them for Mikey. 570-1949. In just a few minutes, we're going to be playing Midi Madness.
I love MIDI Madness. I missed it last week. It's hysterical. You did? Yeah. Oh, you did. It's rad. You know, MIDI is the, it sounds like a Casio keyboard. And you just have to tell us, what song is that? Sounds like Kip Dynamite is playing a song. That's exactly what it sounds like. That is a great call. So, and we have some nice angel sunglasses and anarchy sunglasses to give away. Is that what we're going to be giving away for the mini madness? We have that and we have the new Black Keys CD. Nice. It's really good, too. There you go. So, we're going to be giving away something new. Something new today. We did get some new prizes. Now. You know that. You know that. So, have you heard about this gal that says that she got fired for being too hot? What's the deal with her? Her name is Debra Lee Lorenzana. She's a little Latina mama. She's very cute. Very, very beautiful. And she says that she was fired from Citibank because her beauty was too distracting for her male colleagues. Really? I know the feeling.
You and Susanna. Yeah, me and Susanna. She said that they were telling her the things that she needed to wear and things that were not appropriate. And they even said that she couldn't wear things like turtlenecks or tight-fitted suits. Is your work allowed to tell you what you can wear and what you can wear? Once you had to do it. I had to do it. You did? Yeah. Oh, that's right. There was a girl that worked with you and she dressed a little scantily. Very whorish. There's one way to put it. Scantily. Whorish. Really? Did you call her in the office and say, you dressed a little too whorish for the office? She had the biggest guns you have ever seen. Like muscles? Like biceps? No. What are you talking about? Chesticles. I never heard them called guns. Guns. Jugs. Yeah. Cans. Boobs. So what did you do? Fun bags. Hooters. I was like, I go, hey, I was nauseous. You said, listen, Portia. Let's give her a big Texas hell yeah. When you called her in your office, did you open the door and go, hey, can I see Tanya here in the main office? Let's give her a big Texas hell yeah. On the main stage. So, yeah, I brought her and I was like, listen, person that shall remain nameless. I was like, I've got to talk to you about your attire, your work attire. And I'm like this inside.
I'm here looking down. I'm typing an email while I'm doing it. Oh, gosh. I'm like writing la, la, la, la, la, la, la. And you had to do this, right? Because your boss has told you you had to do it. You got to do it. You want to be a manager. You want to be a big time. Go do it. That probably made her nervous. Oh, dude. Yeah. Are you kidding? And I just said, you got to tighten up the dress. You got to come a little bit more professionally every day. I said, you know, I'm in a suit and tie every day. I can't have you looking like you're going out to a club. I said, I just can't. I said, it's distracting. How did she react? Okay, no problem. Probably went out and bawled in her car. Right. But she was like, okay, I'm so sorry. I'm like, it's all good. Did she change? Yeah. So the next day she came back, she was dressed appropriate. Yeah, she was in a burlap sack the next day. Yeah. She was in a burka. Burka. Came the next day in a burka. It was really sketchy, though, dude. It was not fun. Here's a Citibank girl talking about what happened to her. They pulled me aside to tell me I cannot wear pencil skirts. I cannot wear twiddle necks. I cannot wear... I cannot know the word twiddle necks. Business suits that were fitted. Business suits that are fitted? Yeah, they're tight on her butt. Well, how else does a business suit, how else for a woman? Loose. Loosely. Really?
No, you can't wear one that's skin tight, you know? No, but... I'd like to see that. Most of them come fitted and they do, you know, they accentuate. It's harder to look for the ones that just hang off you, like... Right? Yeah. You would think. She's got a really nice figure, but her face is jacked. Hey, that's not the issue at hand. Her face is not jacked. She's a beautiful girl. No, she's got... Why the long face? Wait a minute. Oh. If she wore that to work. I have a picture on my computer that I just showed them, and she's in a pink silk top blouse type deal. And a white pencil fitted skirt. Knee length. Very attractive. I'll tell you what, if I saw her wearing that and I walked into the bank, I'd be like, hey-oh. Yeah. Hey. Yeah, well. Hello. Hey-ho. No. She's bringing back deposits all day. I don't think she looks like, get another $10 deposit here. Get another dollar deposit here. I don't, I honestly, what she's wearing in this picture, I don't see anything wrong with it. Let me see. Boobs, I think maybe. Well, she has big boobs. What are you going to do?
I don't know. You wear something that covers them up a little bit. Okay, but sometimes you can't. I don't see yours on display, Sienna. Yeah, Sienna, you've never been that. Yeah, Sienna. Gosh, Sienna. Sienna, you've never been that chick. Okay, okay. No, because I don't want to show them off. But that girl, listen, doesn't that outfit clearly go, hey, listen, I've got some boobies and I want to show everybody that they're pretty nice. They're not really that on display. Let me see. Honestly, they're not. I mean, if a girl that didn't have big boobs wore that and it was the same amount of cleavage, you wouldn't say anything about her? If a girl did, say that again. If a girl with smaller boobs wore that exact top, fit her the exact same way, no one would say anything and say that she looks like a whore. Yeah, but the reason, well, I'm not saying she looks like a whore. They said ho-ish, whore-ish or whatever. I don't say that. I just go, hey-oh. And I don't even say that it's whore-ish. I just say that it's probably for work, for a professional environment. It's not the most professional attire. Unless you worked at the men's club. Yeah. Really? I think she looks good. I think I'd be like, wow, that girl's a pretty girl. If I saw her sitting in the lobby of the Four Seasons having a cocktail. Nothing. Nothing doing. Wouldn't think anything about it. Anything of it. Nothing.
Yeah. And I wouldn't think a thing about it. But if she's your teller at Citibank, you're like, hello, bazoombas. Hello. If we're at. I want to squeeze them. Yeah. If we go to Donovan's for dinner and I see her, I'm like, wow, nice. She looks very nice. Yeah. But if I walk into work and she's there, I'm going to be like, oh, my God. See, I guess I've always wanted to have a job where I could dress up because I work in radio and show up in whatever you want. It's way overrated. Yeah, really? I get to put on board shorts and a t-shirt every day now. That's why when I see her, I'm like, I think she looks nice. She does look nice. She looks nice. It's just not that fitting for what she does. Yeah, wear a suit and tie every day. I'm going to start wearing a suit and tie. Oh my gosh, it would be so awkward. If you guys want to know the picture we're looking at, I'll put it on my blog. Be like, radio in the 20s. All right, let's do this. Let's do some, let's do some MIDI. Call me right now, 570-1949. And what you're playing for is you either get, and maybe we just give you the whole kit and caboodle. How about some sunglasses? Yeah, we give you sunglasses. And a CD. And a CD. Tickets to the black key. I mean, CD. CD. CD to the black keys. CD to the black keys. Make it right. Yeah. Now, what you do is use your name as a buzzer. You need to use your name as a buzzer.
Title or artist. That's all you need. Do you play? You don't need both. You don't need title or artist. We don't play. No, no, no. It's the listener. Oh. It's the listener. I was all ready to be late. You weren't here, so you're going to pass. Lauren wasn't here the first time we played. We were here in the trenches. That's right. Taking grenades. M1 Kyle from Oceanside. Hey, how you doing, man? Good. Your opponent today is going to be M1 Adam. Are you there, Adam? Yeah, I'm here. All right, cool. Remember to use your name as a buzzer. All you need to do is tell me the title of the song or the artist that's singing it to win. Are you ready? Yeah. Here we go. Can you guys hear that? Yeah. Is that Spoon? It is not. I know who it is. It is not. Wait, can you guess again? Nope. Well, it's the other guy. Do you know, Adam? I have no idea. I'd like to hear more. That was... He would like to hear more, though. Yeah, play a little more. All right, I'll play a little more. Adam? I'm going to go with Jake. Yeah. You are correct. Sorry, you are correct. Hang on the line. You are a winner. Awesome. Hang on, Adam. Sorry about that, Kyle. Sorry, man. Let's see. We got M1 Booge. Are you there? Yeah. Booge from Dana Point is going against M1 X-Ray from El Cajon. How you doing, X-Ray?
Not bad, guys. How you doing? We're doing good, man. All right. Here we go. All you need is title or artist to win. Booch. That is 7 o'clock. Attaboy. That is correct. Very well done. Very well done. You are a winner. Booge, hang on the line, okay? I'm writing down who I think is going to win, and I had Booge because it was such an awesome name. I love a name. I may quit this job so that I can just become a listener and play this game because I love it that much. I love this. It's hysterical. I love it. I'm like sitting here, I'm like racking my brain. And then when it comes to you, it's fantastic. Which is like, I know it. Got it. Just so you all know, I know it. M1 Gone from Marietta. Hey. How you doing? Good. How you doing? Good. Your opponent today is M1 Lynn. From Mission Hills. Lynn, you there? Yes, I am. Good morning. Make it right, Lynn. All you need is title or artist to win. Here we go. Say your name. You've got to say your name as a buzzer. Lynn, go ahead.
Really? What was said? I missed it. I think she did. She did? Yeah. Damn it, I missed it. I like to feel my heart rate. Me too. I like to feel alive. I like to feel alive. M1 gone. Hang on the line. You are going to be a winner. The automatic? Yeah. She's cursed, man. I love it. She's cursed. That was B-52's Rock Lobster. Hang on the line. Nice one. Thanks, Ben. Very well done. I mean, Lauren. I'm going to get killed. We did this. I'm going to be a creep, everybody. Hey, we did this last time just for fun, so I want to do it again. Woodsy, I'm going to play you the song. Okay. Just to have you play, okay? Now you play against Lauren. You play against Lauren. You ready? Shoot. You ready? Give it a shot. Lauren. Lauren. Can't touch us. That's correct. Or. Very nice. Or. Super Freak. Super Freak. Rick James. That's what I was going to say. It was MC Hammer. Was it? It was. Was it? It was Hammer time. What is it? It really was. Was it? I'm promising you. Are you? Wanting another chance? Do I? Yeah. Wow. Here we go. Lauren. Oh my God, that was a good one. Oh, Woods. Neil Young, Heart of Gold. Wait, no, it's not that. Do you know what it is? The Green Day song. That is correct. That's Neil Young, Heart of Gold. Play it again. Okay. I like how Lauren goes, I like how Lauren goes, Lauren. Lauren. And I answer. Woods. Yeah.
No, you had to look like you didn't know. You gave me the... Yeah, but I was searching for it. She looked like this, Mikey. I looked over and she goes... A cat that ate the canary. Woods, Mikey Show Haiku. Theme song. Theme song for Mikey Show Haiku. That is correct, Woods. That is correct. Are you ready for one? You know that. Talking about the BP oil spill, so... And now it's time for another Mikey Show Haiku. British Petroleum. You clowns at BP have really pissed the kid off. Please don't eat the shrimp. Oh, that's great. Thank you. Oh, wow. Five, seven. That is great. It's five syllables, seven syllables, five syllables. Yeah, five, seven, five. Five, seven, five. Love it. They really made me mad, dude. The pictures they're showing on TV are heartbreaking. It kills me.
I've never been okay with it, but it really pushed it over the edge for me when I see animals covered in oil. It makes me sick. I know it. Well, and it's like, I read a blog about this a few weeks ago. I saw that picture and all the tools that it took to just clean off one bird. And those are the ones that we're able to get a hold of. with your pet peeves that you have in the bathroom with your wife. I'm sure girls have plenty of them, too. Since guys are so neat. Guys live in Perfeyville. No, they don't. We never leave our wet bathing suits on the floor of the bathroom. Or beard shavings all over the sink. Beard shavings or pee-pee on the toilet, maybe. This came from Yahoo.com. Really? He just left his body. There he goes. Bye, Mikey. Bye, Mikey. Have fun. Come back, old friend. This came from Yahoo.com. They said, towels covered with makeup. Guilty.
Really? Are you? Guilty as well. Yeah, because a lot of times when you wash your face, too, you try to get all the makeup off, but it doesn't all come off. So then you wipe your face on the towel to dry. Yeah. A little black gets on there. I always have two black, like they look like smiley faces. Yeah. Oops. My wife has a good system. She has a... makeup, like, washcloth that she uses. Just one. I usually keep one, like, dirt. Like, because I have nice towels in the bathroom, I usually keep one that's, like, not so nice that I use. Me too. There's a pet peeve right there. The nice towel bit. It's for me. Yeah. The nice towel. The ones that you can't use? You can't use those? Why are they here? Yeah. Why are they here? Why a monogrammed towel with a rope hanging down with something attached to it with a little medallion on it? I don't need it. I don't need a medallion in my bathroom. And the fancy soap that you're not supposed to use. The fancy French milk soap. It looks nice. I have a soap that says it's Sienna soap. You can't use it. Yeah, don't use it. It's decorative soap.
It's decorative. There is soap you can use. It's right there. Really? Do you have forks that you don't use, too? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Dude. I meant that as a joke to be sarcastic. Totally. You actually have forks you don't use? Oh, totally. It's like the good china. The good silver. You don't have that? Well, I mean, yeah, you have it, but you use it, don't you? No. Eventually? There's everyday silverware, and then there's the nice silverware that comes out when you have guests. Okay. So when do you actually get to use the soap? When you have guests. See? Never. You never use the soap. If you eventually use the china, you eventually use the soap. I would take out the good soap when people come over. How about pillowcases covered with makeup? Guilty. Jamie's guilty of that. You guys have that too? How about underwear hanging? No. Hanging? Absolutely not. Guilty. Repulsive. What do you do? What do you do? When you wash your underwear, you don't put it in the dryer. It's delicate, so I hang it. I usually hang it on the door handle. Really? Yeah. My closet door handle. What? What's wrong with panties and bras? They're clean. Hanging on the door handle? I don't put them on the door handle. I put them around. Put them around where? Like around the house? In the kitchen? No, not in the kitchen. What do you mean around?
Wear them on your neck? The blades of the ceiling fans. Yeah, lampshade. No, just like on the edge of the towel rack thingy. Sometimes on the edge of a chair. My husband's so good. I never thought that was a weird thing. I just thought it was known. It's not weird. When he does laundry, he hangs my underwear. What is this, an underwear museum? You can't dry some of it because then it gets all messed up. It's delicate. Where do you do your laundry? In my washing machine in my house. Why don't you put it by there? Yeah, leave it on the left and stick. There is not enough room for all of it. I do. I have one little thing that comes out of the dryer that's meant specifically for that. For hanging things? It's like retractable. Yeah, it's like a little wire that you hang stuff on. Yeah, I've got one of those. You fill it up? There's not enough room for everything. So I go to your house and I have to go potty. Go ahead, say it. How many underwear do you have? A lot. Do you? A lot. Girls go through a lot of underwear. Yeah. I have like three pair. Ew. I'm just kidding. You've seen the size of L.O.B.'s butt, too. Hey! Ew! Listen. Maybe do laundry a little more often if you don't fill up that rack. Oh, I do, though. You do? I don't like underwear. I like to change several times a day sometimes, you know? Yeah, and girls, you guys, all your clothes basically can go in the dryer. Your everyday clothes that you wear every day. Ours, like, you know, this sweater doesn't go in the dryer. This dress I won't put in the dryer that I'm wearing. Everything hangs. Yeah. Or else it's misshapen and then you can't wear it again. Let me see. I'm trying to think of...
a way to phrase this. Every woman's going to get angry, but every guy is going to relate. Let's hear it. I hope it's not what I think it is. It is. No, I hope it's not. Okay, so can we just leave it? I hope it's not what I think it is. I'll tell you what. What is it? I don't have to say it. Woodsy said it already when he said, I hope it's not what I think it is. It is. In the garbage can. Of course. And I don't. Okay. Listen. No, that's not okay. What do you mean? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Let me just say this. Aunt Flo? Yeah, where is it supposed to go? Hang on a second. I'm going to say this, and there's going to be a lot of men and women that are going to go, are you seven? Yes, I am. The answer to your question is yes, I am. We are. No, I agree with you guys on that one. You hide it. Hang on, hang on, hang on. You wrap it up. Hang on, hang on, hang on. All I'm talking about. And I don't think that that's what these guys that are calling are talking about. They're talking about much worse. But what I'm talking about is just the wrapper and the applicator. Ladies are going to think that this is so childish. But I'm already admitting to you, I'm a child. This is what would be really cool. If there's anything else in the trash, can you guys position it over and cover it?
I wrapped the applicator, the paper. Just the wrapper. Hide it. Bury it. Bury it in the desert. Take it to the desert. I know what you mean. I don't want to see it, and then that trash can gets taken out regularly. Don't want to see just the wrapper. I just don't want it. Wrap it in the toilet paper. Yeah. I'm just like Woodsy when it comes to this. In my head, I just want to go. I mentally go la, la, la, la, la, la, la. The good thing is for females that it's a total walk in the park. We love it. We love that it happens every month. Why not cover it? Embrace it. Wait, wait, wait. I don't. What's that? Of course she does. You love it? No, I'm being sarcastic. She's being sarcastic. Oh, I was like, wait, no. Yeah, I was like, I can't stop it from happening. It's not that I think that you love it. Can't you? You guys, how about, yeah. You need to hold your breath? Yeah, hold your breath. Okay, stop going to the bathroom. Stop dropping number twos. A lot of guys are real happy when we do get it, all right? 570. 570. Yeah, they are. 194.9. M1 butt paste is on the line.
I love you already, butt paste. That's an actual product for babies. Yep. It works really good. It's for rashes. I use it. It's for baby rashes. Woodrow's butt paste. And he uses it. For what? For my chafe. He chafes. Why are you chafing? I always chafes. We talked about this. Yeah. Hang on a second. Write it down because I would like to revisit this. I would like to revisit this. What the heck? I know it. Because I asked him too and Woodsy was like, what's the matter with you? And I was like. I'm confused, but we'll get back to it. I'll take a poll, and I guarantee you it's four out of five men shape. What are you using, umbrella pads? M1 Butt Pace from Spring Valley. Butt Pace is an actual product we use in the babies that works so good if they get diaper rash. From Spring Valley. You are actually calling with the third one on the list. Go ahead. What is it? This is pet peeves, by the way, that dudes have with their wife in the bathroom. What is it? Long hair in the shower. Oh, yeah. Left on the wall. Disgusting. Number three. Number three on the list. I feel like you guys do it on purpose. Well, listen, it happens. It's a fact of life that that hair is going to come out. I guess, you know, M1 butt paste thing is can't you just remove it? Do you guys? Yeah, but why should I have to? Wait, butt paste. I'm including you in this too. I repeatedly to ask her, please. Please.
Please, please, for the love of God. Please, thank you. Just do the water scoop and throw it on the wall. Okay, do you guys ever find your wife's hair on your body? Oh, yeah, all the time. On my T-shirts. Todd says he will have to pull my hair. It will get in his butt crack. Whoa. I love it. No, it's because it gets everywhere. I shed. I know, I know, I know. That wasn't bad. Well, listen, I'll find it on my T-shirt. And I'll have to pull it off. It'll be, you know, and it's so weird because it's like a road map. Uh-huh. You know, and so I'll find my wife's hair on my T-shirt. I saw it on a guy on the plane and I yanked it up his back and I was like, sorry, in hair. Really? Yeah. Oh, my God. It wasn't mine. It was, I don't know whose it was. Yeah. Now, listen, it happens. It gets everywhere. I don't know why. Yeah. 570-1949. Or you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Sorry, Todd. This one is... I'm so sorry again. Number four on the list is medicines we didn't know about. It says a lot of times that ladies will leave their little medicine things. Women have a lot of stuff that... Yeah, that. That grosses you out? Screaming at the top of your lungs.
I'm reading it right off the list. I don't know. Yeah, Yahoo.com says that this is one of the pet peeves. It's all over the place. Doesn't bother me. That one doesn't bother me. Medicines. Vitamins, medicines, all that stuff. Yeah, I don't care. Number five, where did my shampoo go? Oh, it's vice versa in our house. Is it? Oh, dude. Yeah. What do you mean? I get in trouble. She buys like the $90 shampoo and your boy gets in the shower and I have very little hair and I have to condition, of course, because it smells so good and it feels so good when you condition. Right. So I'm like... Like a trough of it in my hair and I slick it real back and I'm like, I just sit in the shower. You're brushing your teeth with like a slicked back conditioner hair. Rubbing your back with it. Yeah, rubbing my whole body. You're like, oh, this is so nice. Oh, by the way, that conditioner is $94 a bottle. Yeah, there's diamonds in there. Yeah, there's diamonds in there. Why is it so expensive? I hate it. Why is it? It's so much better than like the grocery store kinds. Yeah. When you go to a beauty salon and you buy like the legit stuff, your hair feels great. Yeah, so does your husband's. You've seen this hair. Yeah. PHC. What is that? Is that the brand name? No, Perfect Haircut. We've seen that. Perfect Haircut, PHC. You know it works, PHC. PHC. Got a PHC. PHC. Did we need to write that down? Was that clean? Yeah. That was pretty phenomenal. PHC.
It's your PHC, bro. That's what we always say after I get a haircut. 570-1949. Are we forgetting any? Some of the pet peeves that we have in the bathroom. I have one. The left out hair dryer. Yeah, the left out hair dryer. Yeah, dude. I don't know if anybody else feels this way. And get the button ready. I don't know if I can. I mean, I don't like to. Don't then. But here's the thing. No, I don't like to hear. I don't like to hear it. Number one. Number one? Yeah, I don't like to hear it. It makes my stomach turn. Your guys' is a million times louder than ours. I sit down. Yeah, and you don't think that we can hear it? I have so much respect for you right now. I have so much respect for you. Do you know what? Take courage. I'm not talking about that part. If you aim it, you can't hear it. But you guys, you can't aim it. I can aim it where you'll never hear it. They call me the silent assassin. You want women to just... You want them to just appear to you and not have any bodily functions. Not ever have a bad day. Wait on your hand and foot. Yes, it's perfect. You get it, finally. Do you feel that your wife should go to a different part of the house? Thousand percent. You guys are sick. I'm telling you. I don't like to hear it. L-O-B.
This is the safe tree? Is that what they call it? We're in the trust tree. We're in the trust tree right now. This is not something that Woodsy would normally say, but we're in the trust tree. We have to feel that we can tell you this and feel safe with you. And not be judged. Jamie, don't ever do this. Not be judged. Make him listen. Since when are we not judging each other? Yeah, since when? Just since like 8.15. Right. Yes, a minute ago. Just from a minute ago. Okay, do you like to hear it? I don't like to hear it. I don't think any guy does. Jay? Sorry. Jay probably loves it. Come on, Jay. Come on, guys. Really? Really? I don't like to hear it, dude. It's a fountain. It's not a fountain. It's water. The sink's on. It's a pee fountain. I don't want it. You guys are weird. Oh, my gosh. You guys are weird. Nancy's. Thank you. Sally's. I do this. I'm like, hey, shut the door. She's like, what? I'm like, shut the door, please. See, I would never do this. Oh, I do. I wouldn't say it. But when you said it, I'm like, okay, well, you know. It's going to trip you out now. It's going to trip you out now. Trust me. I'm like, oh, God, oh, God. Lauren is beside. Hey, man, I can't help it. I don't like the way that sounds. I don't go in there and go. Maybe it's like this. Hey, maybe it's like this. Different people are affected by different things. I don't like the sound of a vacuum. It skeeves me out.
When I hear a vacuum, I get really uncomfortable. That's how I get out of vacuuming, too, dude. I don't know. Maybe I was assaulted by a vacuum as a child. I don't know. You make the sound yourself. What do you mean? When you use the bathroom, does it not make a sound? We don't. I've heard plenty of sounds. Wait a minute. This is not right. Let me say this. Let's say that I do, and let's say that she doesn't like that sound. She's within her right. And you know what? If she didn't like it, I'd go somewhere else. It's like saying you don't want to hear them sneeze, cough, talk, breathe. Sneezing doesn't bother me. Those are all natural things. The talking and breathing do, but the... I don't know, Lauren, because you can sneeze. Sneezing doesn't bother me. You said she fakes sneezes. No, she fakes coughs. Oh, yeah. And you could sneeze in the car. You could sneeze in the car. You could sneeze here in the studio. I've never seen you do the other here in the studio. No. Right. Not yet. One's a little bit more private. Absolutely, and I don't want to hear it. You know what? If somebody really wanted to make a great business, this would be a great business. A very easy, inexpensive, buy-at-the-grocery-store, soundproofing for the bathroom. 100%. Lauren, wouldn't you buy it? Yeah. We used to have to turn the music on in my house. What? Yeah, I don't want to hear it. That's not weird. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Number two. Hang on. Pause. Why don't you want to hear it? New revelation. New revelation.
You guys would turn the music on? Yeah. Was it a rule? Yes. And it was just for him? For both of us. For both of you. So you would go, she would go. Yeah, exactly. So the deal was, the deal was that if either of you went to the restroom. For the deuce. Only a deuce. Only a deuce. You had to put music on and was there like a stereo in the bathroom? No, it was outside of it. It was outside the bathroom? Yep. That was a tip-off. That was a tip-off. Oh my gosh, how mortifying. How embarrassing that all of a sudden I started blasting the stereo. You get over it. But you just said that I'm weird because I don't want to hear one, but why aren't you weird? What's the difference? Really? You don't know that foghorn leghorn? Yeah, but... You can drink that. Wait, Lauren, what about if you had to go... What if you had to go at night? Oh, at night? If he was sleeping? I guess forget it. I don't get the night deal, but... Oh, my gosh. That is pretty... Weird. Yeah, it's weird, but when you live in an old building and everything echoes...
It's not weird. She's either going to clean the apartment or... Guys, it's a bodily function. Who cares? Everyone does it. Everyone does it. Oh, somebody must be in the bathroom. Sorry. I'm here. Oh, Lauren's in the bathroom? Oh. All right. I wonder what she's doing because this music is blaring. The door's locked. The door's locked. This is blaring on the stereo. Hey, babe. Oh, never mind. The music's on. Never mind. I'm going to go for a walk. I'll be back in... 30, 45 minutes. 30, 45 years. Oh, God. If you had 20 seconds, I would turn the scario off all the way just like. Yeah, exactly. That's a good coup d'etat for them, dude. I like that. By 20 seconds, I'd be out. Yeah. You're like, okay. All right, thanks. Girls don't take half an hour like you guys. I don't bring in reading material and have a party in there. I want to get out as soon as possible. M1 Tyler from Escondido. Hey, I just kind of agree with Woods and the fact that it is kind of weird sometimes. I mean, Lane.
Late at night, a woman goes in. Yeah, we get it. I understand. You guys are children. That sound to me just skeeves me. How did you ever get married? That's a great question. Don't you find women repulsive? You don't say that's a great question. No, it's a great... But aren't women repulsive? We do things like go to the bathroom. Yes, I'm saying it against me. I found the only woman in the world, literally, the only woman in the world that would marry me. Yeah. Jamie, she's the only perfect fit. I'm saying, how did you get over it? She goes to the bathroom. Like, that's gross. Oh, it was hard. She goes to the bathroom, man. It was hard. It was hard. That is disgusting. Well, I'm on the air from 6 to 10. Do whatever she wants in those four hours. Have a bowl. Yeah, don't drink anything all afternoon. Have a bowl. Yeah, four hours. Make it count. Yeah, maybe you can destroy your kidneys. Just don't pee in front of me, please. I don't want to hear it. 570-1949. Or text us, 949-MIKEY, at Gmail. Apparently, Mark Paul Gosler, guy that played Zach. Yeah, Zach Morris. He and his wife are splitting up. Didn't know they were married. You know the curse of the Mikey show? Didn't know he was married. Why? Did we talk about that? I did. You did? I talked about Zach Morris and I thought he was hot. Week later. Week later.
Divorcing. Maybe he wants a taste. He does. He texted me. Did he say, hey, beautiful? He said, hey, beautiful. He said, hey, beautiful. And I was like, hey, handsome. Remember that? Zach Morris. He was married for 14 years and now. That's too bad. Sorry, Lisa, his wife. He's a single man again. Who was cuter, Tiffany Amber Thiessen or the chick that played Jessie? Oh, Tiffany Amber Thiessen. She was beautiful. Kelly Kapowski? You'll get hotter than Kelly Kapowski. I prefer the bookier of the two. Lisa Turtle? She was annoying. Lisa Turtle. Jessie Spano. Jessie Spano. My brother went to the mall to wait in line for Tiffany Amber Thiessen's autograph. Really? Yes. I would have. Back in the day, right? He was like 14. Yeah. And he bought the perfume. Really? Are you kidding me? He bought the perfume. He bought the perfume. Because you couldn't get the autograph unless you bought the perfume. Went to the mall and waited in line to get her autograph. Was she nice? He was obsessed. Yeah, he said she was great. She married one of Jamie's friends. Really? Yeah, she married. So you guys are like related. So technically, yeah, you guys are related and best buddies. Best buddies. I've never met her, but we're pretty tight.
Can I say something pretty cynical? Weird. Do celebrity marriages ever last? Yeah, I do. Paul Newman. Yeah, I guess you're right. Well, what I liked about Zach Morris is he married someone who was... you know, normal. Yeah. I guess, I feel like you kind of have to marry someone quote unquote normal or it doesn't last. Yeah, that's what I had to do. Yeah. You know. Really? I had to. Get out of here. I needed somebody to keep me grounded. They have two kids though, so that's a little bit shattered. That's sad. What do our, what do our pets teach us about marriage? This is going to irritate me, I guarantee it. What? It's not going to. What is it? Well, you know, let me find it. I have five pets. I know, you have a lot, but you know how... Really, we're supposed to look through our shih tzu for ideas about... It's a dog. Hit the dumb button. It's a dog. I got scared. I got scared. I did too. Hey, Mike, it's a dog. See their trash mouth? Oh my goodness. Well, what is one thing, Woods, when you come home, how do your dogs greet you? They attack me. How does your wife greet you? Same way.
She's biting at my leg. Hug me, hug me, hug me, hug me. No, she doesn't. No, she's there. Well, yeah. But your dogs make you feel like you're the most important person in the world, basically. 100%. Yeah. I'm trying. Maybe spouses try and do that, too. She comes, she gets up and gives me a hug. Jamie's an exception. Jamie's amazing. She gives me a hug. But there's lots of women that may be like, hey, babe, what's up? Yeah, they just keep going with their day. Don't really acknowledge. I'm trying to imagine what it would be like, though, if we came home and our wives got that excited. We'd be like, oh my God, creeper, get away from me. Yeah, and wear my skin. Okay, well, dogs guaranteed are always going to greet you with the best greeting ever. 100%. The best greeting ever. There's nothing wrong with a nice greeting. I think a little too overzealous might scare the pants. Oh, I swear the favorite part of my day is when I come home and I open our gate and I know that Zipper, my dog, is going to be looking through the window because she hears me. And I see her peek her head through the curtains. And I'm like, hi, Zip. And she just, oh, it's the cutest. Wow. I think maybe I was really wrong about judging this list before I heard it because that's kind of sweet. Absolutely. I'm not kidding. My favorite part of my day. I'm like, hi.
And she's just like, I missed you. No, not the dog. The spouse coming home. And what if you came home and Todd was that excited to see you? Yeah, it'd be awesome. What if Todd poked his head over the couch and was like, Sienna? No, he's really good, actually. Talked his head to the side. No, he's actually. What if he came up to you with a little ball in his mouth? That'd be very creepy. Go get it. Go get it. Okay, and another thing that dogs don't do is hold grudges. Yeah. They don't hold grudges. Especially if it's something dumb, you know, like your spouse holds grudges when they don't need to. Sometimes if it's not a big deal. Come on. Of course they do. They don't do that. I'm going to get my ass handed to me when I get home today. I love you, honey. I love you more than anything in the world. The last thing that spouses should do, maybe the pets should do, is always assume the best when it comes to your significant other. Your pets assume the best in you. Yeah, that's true. I love that list, by the way. I like it, too. L.O.B. picking the music today, Blink-182. President Obama.

Thank you to Mama Testa Taqueria, baby. Oh, yeah. I was just shoveling the food in my mouth trying to eat before we came back on. It's so good. It's so good. It's so good, man. Potato tacos. These potato tacos are lethal. Rolled tacos, potato tacos. You can go back for more after. Oh, yeah. I just hit nine taquitos. I'm sorry. Not taquitos. Rolled tacos. That's right. Everybody here in the studio, there's a few people that had never had it, heard us talk about it, and were not disappointed. Mama Testataqueria is unbelievable. That's correct. They're located at 1417 University Avenue, corner of Richmond and University in Hillcrest, and they are delicious. I mean, you talk about the real deal. It is the real deal. You will absolutely love it. Please. Go check out Mama Tessa Taqueria, and thank you to them for coming in and supplying everybody with food that came in here today with the backstage pass and is hanging out. They hook it up every time. So President Obama, he was on Larry King. He was. He was talking about everything that was going on with BP, and one of the big criticisms of Obama right now is that he isn't showing enough emotion.
About the BP thing. Emotion? Yeah, Spike Lee said that he wants to see him, quote, go off. Because that's always good, what you want your leader to do, is to really display a sense of... And act on emotion. Yeah, Woods, you know, like me. You really want me to see me kicking down doors. You don't want to see that from your leader. You just don't. I agree with you 100%. Like, I don't think that there's anything that he's doing... He's doing what he's supposed to do. Yeah, you need to be composed. If the leader's going to flip out, then what is all the followers going to do? Anyway, here he is. Sam, I know you appear so calm. Are you angry at BP? You know, I am furious at this entire situation because this is an example of where somebody didn't think through the consequences of their actions. And it is imperiling not just a handful of people. This is imperiling an entire way of life and an entire region for potentially years. Has the company felt your anger? I don't think potentially years. I think years. Yeah. Is it done? I mean, it's going to affect. Yeah. And I think the rest of the world. I mean, I don't think you could put that in the ocean, that much of it, and it's not going to.
eventually reach every corner of the earth and the ocean. Are you guys hearing the whistling on his S's? Is he whistling? Obama is? Yes! I love whistling S's. The beginning is a lot. They have felt the anger, but what I haven't seen as much as I like. The beginning was real bad. When you get pregnant, does your sense of hearing sharpen too? It may. Here he is talking about how he wants to yell at people. The one thing that I think is important to underscore is that I would love to just spend a lot of my time venting and yelling at people. But that's not the job I was hired to do. My job is to solve this problem. Ultimately, this isn't about me and how angry I am. Ultimately, this is about the people down in the Gulf who are being impacted. And what am I doing to make sure that they are able to salvage their way of life? He's right. Yeah. Absolutely. Can you just play the very beginning again? Because that's when you hear it real good. I'm four years old today. One thing that I think is important to underscore is that I would love to just spend a lot of my time venting.
How about what does he think about LeBron James? Oh, yeah. Why not? Are you interested? This is the same press conference. LeBron James is with us tomorrow night. Larry's at the White House. You want him to go to Chicago, right? No, no, no. What did you say? I want to be clear. He's going to have to defend his opinion on LeBron. He's getting grilled about LeBron. Wait, hang on a minute. I didn't. Who cares? Didn't you say that? It's a bipartisan decision whether or not he stays in Cleveland or goes to... Clear it up. First of all, LeBron, I've had a chance to meet him. Wonderful young man, amazing talent. You ever seen President Obama play basketball? Yeah, he's good. He's a baller? He is a baller. Yeah, the guy's got a sick outside shot. And let me tell you what was so gnarly about it. It wasn't edited. What I saw was unedited. There was some guy... That was interviewing him. Barkley, maybe? I don't remember who it was, but somebody was interviewing him and he turned the tennis court at the White House into a basketball court. No way. And he is draining threes effortlessly. Really? It was gnarly. Like, effortlessly. What about his dribbling skills? It was all awesome. They're just sitting there talking.
You know, they're having a... He's in a suit. Yeah. He's in a dress shirt and a tie, maybe. Dress shirt. And he had loosened up the tie and unbuttoned the top button. And he's like, well, you know, one thing we've got to keep in mind about the economy is that everything works. And they're just sitting there talking. And I'm like, is this CGI? Is this like... Because how does somebody make, like, five shots in a row? Yeah, he's good. I bet it was edited. No, it wasn't. It wasn't? Like, you don't see. It was one shot. Guy's a baller. It was crazy. I bet his wife hook it up on the basketball court, too. She's so tall. Yeah, she's tall. It was great. Maybe she joins the WNBA and nobody watches. Yeah. Maybe that already happens. Maybe that's already going. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Let's see. Did I tell you guys about, I didn't even put this in my recap. And I'm like, ah, is this too? What is it, Mike? What did you do now, dude? I didn't do anything. Really? Really. I didn't do anything. I was at Target yesterday and I saw a kid eating a milk bone. Wait, you can't just say it. What? Like the dog biscuit? No way. I'm not kidding. No, it was a snack. You know the big red carts? Of course. Yeah.
You know, you sit in there with the little legs out. Yeah. Yeah. Well, how you do? Yeah. When Rebecca takes me shopping and I sit in the basket. Same place. Come on, come on. Yeah. Only problem is it's a little big. You know, it's a little big. But I saw him eating it and I thought, that looks like a milk bone. But I thought, but that would be impossible. Yeah. And so I walked over purposefully to take a look and it said, Bone. Ew. Holy cow. On it. Finn did that until he was about 13. Really? Really? I thought he was just doing it to freak us out because when the dog would do it, he would do it as well. And we never stopped him because he was pretty hard-headed. What do they taste like? Cookies? No. No. I mean, it isn't. You ever smell the bag? Uh-uh. He always said, not bad. That's what he always said. Well, here's the deal. I mean, it's obviously not like poison. It's not bad. I mean, well. It's not intended for people. I smell a bet coming soon. Ew. She always got the really good ones, though. She got the organic dog treats. Weird. I know. Would you do it? I wouldn't eat a whole one if I lost a bet. A milk bone? Or like a chew toy? No, I'll eat a chew toy. A milk bone dog biscuit. When I was little, I had one of those ones that are like tiny little balls, and they're like white on the outside, and there's like fake meat inside or something like that.
Like it was like red in the inside. My grandma told me to. And you ate it. I was little. She's like, yeah, they're not bad. You know, they're not bad. They won't hurt you. And she like ate one. I was like, oh, she was like, I don't know what. She was being weird. Does anybody listening? Here's a thousand dollars. I need a thousand dollars to eat this grandma. Anybody listening? Did you ever eat stuff weird like that? 5701949? I've always wanted to. Like I, even like hamster pellets. Some of them look good. What does this taste like? Bacon strips? No, I just smell them and I go... How about a great new bit? We just eat pet food. Oh. Fancy feast? I would try bacon strips. Fancy feast? Those look pretty good. Those dog bacon strips? It's bacon. Bacon, bacon, bacon. I did that to my friend. I told him it was beef jerky, and I said, here, guys, have some beef jerky. We were kids, about 10 or 11, and they'd bite into it. They would almost finish it. I said, oh, that was dog. Oh, so they ate it. Let me tell you, there's absolutely nothing filthier than opening a can.
No, there's not. The cat food is nasty. The cat food, dog food. Cat food's worse because it smells like fish. On my mother, you could give me $5,000 and I couldn't eat. I couldn't do it. I don't think I could either. I would. $5,000? I need $5,000. Let the baby come out and then I'm in. I couldn't do it. You couldn't lose a bed and have a milk bone? I probably couldn't. The cat food makes this noise too. When you spread it in power. It's all gelatin-like? Yes. It takes on the shape of the band. It's like fish jello. It's disgusting. M1 Dos Equis from El Cajon. What's up, Mikey? What's up, dude? Hey, man. Okay, so you remember back in the days they had the little milk bones that were green and red? Yeah, still do. Yeah, yeah. Those are the ones that I used to try. And you know what? They just get gritty. That's all it really does in your mouth. It doesn't really taste like anything. Yeah, I've done them on ice cream sundae. The thing I want to know is what?
What causes the grittiness? And why do you eat them? How about pulverized bones maybe cause the grittiness, you know? What do you mean? I don't know what they're putting in there. Read the back. Yeah. Goat. Mountain goat. I don't know what's in there. Elephant hooves. Yeah, elephant hooves. I don't know. Do we really know what's in a lot of things? Baby seals. Elephants don't have no. Hey, listen. I'm so glad that I am so glad that Jay just said that because I saw a special over the weekend. that was, you know how you've always heard, don't know what they're putting in hot dogs? Well, we're going to find out. Oh, God. It is not. It's an urban legend. It's a bit. Really? It's a bit. It's not like lips and ears. It's not great, but it ain't nearly what people think. You know what? Here's the worst part. And I wonder if I will gross people. See, to me, it's not bad. What's the worst part? But I'm going to tell people. Is this in a hot dog? Because a lot of people really enjoy hot dogs. I love hot dogs. Maybe just earmuffs in the audience there if you don't want to know. What is it? I don't want to know. It's meat in a case. You don't want to know, Sienna? It's bad enough. What else? Sienna, I need you to go right outside that door. It's not that bad, though. I bet when she finds out, she'll be like, oh, it's not bad. She's pregnant. She may boot. Yeah, that's true. She may throw up all over the place. You ready? I'm ready. It's not that bad.
Yeah, she's leaving. She's going through the double door. She's going through the soundproofing. It's 100% beef. Ew, there's beef in hot dogs? Yeah. I thought it was pig. You did? Yeah. It's beef. You didn't know that? So you've eaten beef. I guess not. I've eaten beef. But that's not the part. Okay, 100% beef. Well, man, if that freaked you out, get ready. It's 100% bull. What? No big deal. Bull? Only bull. Who cares? So, you know, when you get a steak, it doesn't come from a bull. It comes from a cow. Okay. Okay, they have a... It's a cow. Okay? All right. This is just bull... Like, when you say bullfighting... Bull. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. Like, with the big horns? Yeah, what you do on the weekends. I know. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I know bullfighting. My little matador outfit? Yes, yeah. Exclusively bull. I'm going to throw up. Then bother me. Throw up. Why? It's only bull.
It's a male cow. I know, but I've been at barbecues and been like, I'm not going to cause a fuss. It's not that bad then, right? Is that not that bad? Is that bad? You guys tell me. She's grossed out. Yeah, you're vegetarian. You're vegetarian, so it's gross no matter what. I could have said it was, you know, I could have said it was rainbow cows and you would have been stoked, you know? Wow. Is that gross? Did that gross you guys out? No. When I first heard it, I was like, really? It's just a male cow. I don't think she heard. I don't think she heard. You didn't hear? You didn't hear what he said? Yeah, come on in, Santa. It's toenails. No, it's not. Hot dogs. Cow meat. Yeah, well, we all do. We all do. It's very similar. Why isn't it brown then? Why is it that weird color? Okay, okay. Hot dogs are like a rusty color. No, it isn't. Yes, it is. They're not brown. No, no, no, no. I mean, what I'm saying is they cook them. All hot dogs are cooked. Burgers are cooked and they don't look like that. It's got to be dye. Why do they dye them? I see what you're saying. I see what you're saying. No, they don't dye them. I think I know why. I think that the reason that they are that, and I think of hot dogs as...
Pink? Delicious. Pinkish. Yeah, and they put spices and stuff, you know. Oh, delicious. Pink spices? Where do you get pink spices? Paprika. Cumin. Paprika, thyme. Yeah, you know. I don't know about that. They're not putting dye. And they cook it. Delicious. They cook burgers? Yeah, but burgers is different because you don't put stuff in it like that. Look at L.O.B. is really, she's having a hard time. She's shutting down. They make it into a paste and they cook it up. I want to be, what do they call it? Like a pescatarian or something? You only eat stuff from the sea. I don't know. Is that what you are? You're a pescatarian? Is that what it's called? Yeah. Okay, that's it. From now on. You only eat seafood? Well, no, not, the only meat that I'll eat. The only meat? Yeah, yeah, only meat, yeah. Right, right. I was like, man, that's got to be hard. A little mermaid. Crab cake breakfast. He's like, oh, great. Crab cakes and eggs. Yeah. No eggs. No eggs. Oh, yeah. M1 Adam from Carlsbad. Are you there? Yeah. What did you eat on a regular basis? I got one for you. When I was about five, six years old, I used to go out and hand feed my dog Oli.
But I got into the habit of feeding him one, then eating one. Feeding him one, eating one. My mom actually has pictures of it. Well, what are they? Dog food. Yeah, what kind? Dry or wet? Dry or wet? Your standard red little pellet dog food that you can get at any store. Yeah, and actually I think it might run in the family because I just caught my two-year-old. What did it taste like? That's awesome. You know what? It doesn't taste... That bad. It just tastes like some really, really bad processed meat. My son was eating one, so I said, screw it, and I tried one again. Whiten your teeth and give you a shiny coat. You're like, oh my God, how good these were. It wasn't as good as I remembered when I was five, but my mom said that I used to do that on a daily basis. My sisters would go to school. I would go out and have lunch out on the porch with my dog, Oli. Feed him one piece of food. He would sit there while I fed him, and then I would eat a piece, and it went back and forth. Adam, what brand? You know what? I think it was Alpo. I was just going to say Alpo. Good for you. I like that dog's name, Oli. Oli. Emma and Elisa from Spring Valley. Hi. How are you? Good. How are you? Good. What did you eat? Well, when I was younger, my cousins would always play tricks on me, and there was these dog treats, and they told me if I eat them, they would make my teeth turn white.
So I would eat them all the time. And then finally, my mom's like, what are you doing? I'm like, my kids, they said my teeth would be white. She's like, yeah, for dogs, not for humans. How old were you? Nine years old. Oh, my gosh. It was last week. Nine-year-old obsessed with having a white teeth. Her mom caught her chasing a mailman. Exactly. I just remembered. Oh, my gosh. I just remembered. I wanted to eat the ham. There was a hamster in my fourth grade class, and I was going to try the pellets. I was going to see what to eat the hamster. The teacher was like, if you eat those, you'll grow hair like a hamster. I was like, ah. Never mind. Yeah. But I was like in fourth grade. Forget it. Don't eat pet food. That's just filthy. Yeah. What about fish food, Mike? Ew, the flakes? Flakes. Yeah. Let me tell you. His fish food is funk-adelic. I have a saltwater tank, and the way that you feed the fish is you get a cup, you get some water out of the tank, and then you pop a frozen pellet in there. It dissolves. Then you shake the cup around, put it in after it dissolves. A friend of mine mistook his cup for a drinking cup. No. Oh, is it like algae and stuff? No.
It's little mice's shrimp. Shrimp. Little tiny shrimp. And plankton. Gross, gross, gross. Plankton? Oh, yeah. Oh, my God. You eat plankton, so. Yeah, I mean, I thought, yeah, I thought you had plankton wraps. I don't think I eat plankton wraps. You don't do plankton wraps? You do. Let me tell you, that is the filthiest thing in the world. What about when you feed, if you have a snake, you got to feed it, like, mice and stuff? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. It's terrifying. 570-1949 is our number. How about the Long Island couple getting married in a shark tank? How rad is that? Really? I think that's so cool. Gotta be different. Should we wear a dress? Gotta be different. No, they haven't done it yet. They're getting married this Sunday. And I think it's so cool. They went to the aquatic. And they wanted to check it out. And someone recommended, you know, because they said they wanted to do something a little bit unusual. And they recommended, well, you know, we have had people get married in a shark tank. It's not very common, but, you know, you can do it. And they were like, we're in, we're in, we're in. They're certified to scuba dive and everything like that. So they're going to do it this Sunday. And the pastor is going to be, he's not going down the water. He's not into that. So he and a few other members like the wedding party and stuff will be looking down.

They've already opened it. Yeah. But this is really cool. Frisbee. Frisbee golf. Oh, Frolf. It's Frolf. Frolf? Frolf. What is it? What's Frisbee golf? I don't know my friends call it Frolf. Frolf. Frisbee golf is so cool. Frolf. They give you these. Oh, you throw it and you try to get. There's 18. Yeah, you throw it at like targets. Targets. Well, Jay's done it. What's that, Jay? Balboa Park has an awesome one. That's great. Well, this one opened in Escondido at the Escondido Rotary Club. I've never understood Frisbee. It's free. Unless you are in a tournament, you can go in and just do it. And they have, you know, it comes with different weights. They look like Frisbees, but they're a little bit smaller. They weigh from five to six ounces. You got your driver. You got your putter. So cool. Really? It's a blast. Drink while you do it.
Looks fun. Woods is like, I like girls. Yeah. Sorry, dude. It's fun. Whatever. It's so fun. There's girls there. I play real sports. Oh, stop. Not trying to be the best at exercising. Do you ever play bocce ball? No. You don't play sports like that? How about horseshoes? No. No. You don't play horseshoes. No. Why not? It's fun. When you're on the beach in San Diego, you're going to play horseshoes. I throw football. I'll play some bocce ball with you. You can throw football. Bocce ball is so fun. It's a beach game. How about the signs that tell you? That your relationship has chemistry. Yes. What are you guys slaying every night? Yeah. You're making love. Making love. It's so creepy. What do you guys think some of the signs are? Make love. Chemistry? Yeah. You make mad, passionate, sweet love to one another. How about you turn into a total klutz? L-O-B. L-O-B. Yeah. That's just my life. Yeah. You get klutzy around them? Yeah. Yep. Like you're like nervous. This is like not when you're married. Beginning stages. The beginning stages. Yeah, to tell. Obviously, if you're married, you have chemistry. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you? Oh, CB told a great story to us this weekend when he was his friend of ours, Chris, when he was dating his wife. It's one of their it was, I think, their first date on her balcony. She set up a nice little meal for them on the balcony. They're watching the sun go down, the whole deal. And he wants to be chivalrous when it's all done.
Let me pick up the plates here. Oh, no. So he picks up the plates, puts them on a tray. And he's a big guy. Big dude. Six feet tall, you know. And he grabs the tray, turns around to go inside, and the sliding glass door is open. But he didn't see the screen door. Oh, no. Walked right into the screen door. With all the dishes? With all the dishes. It buckled. The screen door buckles, but only halfway, so he falls halfway. Oh, no. Halfway in. Butt up in the air. Feet dangling out. The dishes fly everywhere in the living room. Watch this like white carpet. That makes me laugh. They fly everywhere in the living room. And her whole outside screen go crumbles. Because he's not a dainty guy. No, he's a big dude. Crumbles. In half. That's my humor. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. That would be so. Did she laugh? She laughed. She had tears. See, that's a good sign. She had tears streaming. That's good. And he goes, can I get you anything? That's just fantastic. Dude, that's the story of my life. Every girl I've ever dated, I've had something like that happen. I was Nervous Purvis. Oh, yeah. That was my nickname. When we come back, Sienna's going to give us the rest of the list, and I'll go away. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Email from a girl that said that she has a guy and girlfriend that are mutual friends. She's known him for the same amount of time. And the guy texted her and said, hi, beautiful. Hope you're behaving yourself. And we got a lot of texts about it. This one says, if this dude is flirting with a friend, what is he doing with girls his fiance doesn't know? We're really talking about this again. I'm nervous. I'm sorry, can you say that again? No, no. Say it one more time. You know what happened? Did you see what happened? Did you see what happened? Did you see what happened? Did you see what happened? No, no. LLB had my headphones on. He tapped me to get my attention. Just a minute. I'm like, just a minute. Yeah, she had my headphones on. She did? Yeah. Yep. Where were yours? Over here. Weird. Hysterical. You can text us. Text us at 949mikey at gmail.com. What is the latest with the Gary Coleman thing? Are we going to finish the chemistry? Oh, yeah, yeah. Sorry, sorry. What was it? A little update.
These are signs to tell if you just started dating someone, if there's real chemistry. Some of them I'm not really sure about, so I want to know what you guys think. First is you turn into a total clunt, which we just talked about. You notice a tiny dent in your date's pinky nail. You notice every little thing about them. Little details. You agree to split the spinach appetizer dip, even though you don't like it. Even though you don't like to share? Even though you don't like the dip. It says true chemistry makes us more mellow than usual, so don't be surprised if you find yourself being agreeable with your date. Nope. Would you wouldn't do it? Don't do that. I don't really agree with that one either. I don't eat stuff I don't like. Yeah. I don't either. Yeah, and then she'll be like, well, why aren't you eating this? You said you want to split it. Because it's repugnant. Yeah, and it's spinach artichoke dip. It smells like feet, so. You don't like that? Or you would eat something you don't like? There's not a whole lot that I just flat out don't like besides if he was like, let's split a steak. But I would just be like, eh, it's not my favorite, but I will just because whatever. Just agreeable. Do you like sweet potato fries? Yeah, I do. I did the same thing that Woods did until I actually tried them and I was like, oh, that's good. They're disgusting. Yeah, because I think that there's just certain things that I think people would be like, why didn't you tell me?
You didn't, you're eventually going to know. I'd tell them eventually and be like, hee hee, remember that? That's how much I cared. So cute, aren't I? Yeah. That's how much I loved you. Another way you can tell if you have chemistry is that the room seems brighter than usual. What? It means you're smitten. Like if you walk into a restaurant or something and you're like, like you're just happy. It seems brighter. Brighter. The room seems brighter. Yeah. Is that a... Did a girl write this? Judy Blume write this? Yes. Be honest. Judy Blume. Like, seriously. Amy Spencer wrote it. Of course. Of course. I don't know that one guy has ever experienced walking into a room and went, oh my gosh, it's so bright. I've just never seen the room like this. I think a guy has experienced this one. You're more fidgety during the date. I'm fidgety always. That's because your brain is overstimulated. Jay. What was that, Jay? I was just going to say, when you and Woods walk in the room. Really? Really? Gets brighter. Yeah, it gets brighter. Let's hear this. Every time you guys see each other, every morning, it's like, oh, I've missed you since yesterday. Making each other a hug. I missed you since the conversation on the drive-in. We don't talk in the drive-in. You guys do. No, we don't. You usually do. No, never.
Once. Never. Twice. Four times. All right. A week. Last 70 out of the 80. Yeah. There you go. Okay. Another one is you keep forgetting there's food on the table. Like you're not hungry. You're just so into this person. See, that to me is a sign of nervousness. Yeah. I would do that if I was nervous. Yeah. To me, that's very nervous. It doesn't mean you like them or you don't. You're nervous. Oh, anytime I get into a new relationship, I'd like forget to eat. I'm just like so happy. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I guess. I'll give you that. And the last one is you feel more familiar with your date than you do lusty. Like you just feel like you guys have a common bond already. Like you could just tell. Oh, rather than wanting to slay. Yes. Well, I'm sure that's there too. What if there's both? But you're actually like really interested in what they have to say, you know? Are you? Aren't you? Depends if you close the deal yet. Oh, wow. Depends on if you're on a date with me. Yeah, fair enough. What do you think a first date would be like with the LOB? Great. It'd be great. Great. What would it be like? I'd be so nervous. Trust me, I'm all smiles in the beginning. She'd probably knock something over. Yeah, I would. She had a guy on a first date spill three cups. Yeah, last one was mostly ice, but yeah. What an idiot. It's the worst. I felt bad for him. I wasn't into him anyway. You guys ready for some Donald Duck theater?
You know that. Ready for some Donald Duck theater? Let's hear it. All right, now, I have, you're going to do a scene from what movie? From Old School. Okay. Yeah. Now, I have a clip. You do have a clip. Sorry, we're going streaking through the quad and into the gymnasium. Come on, everybody. Come on. Snoop. Snoopaloop. Snoopaloop. Snoopaloop. No, it's cool. It's cool. I'm cool. Bring your green hat. Let's go. Come on, everybody. Man, man. Let's get the party cracking back up in here. That's what I'm saying. Snoop. You ready? I'm ready. Are you ready? Donald Duck, ladies and gentlemen.
Oh wow. Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Incredible. The face. I don't know. How does that come out of her mouth? I don't get it. I don't know. That's amazing. So, Woodsy, where would you be with this? And I will take anybody here in the studio. You can give me your opinion. Just raise your hand. I'll get you over to a microphone. You can call 5701-949. Mikey, this is a text that we got. Mikey, check this out. Dated a girl two years ago, and it got crazy, so we broke up. Crazy. I think I'm allowed to read this, by the way. I hope that this is not... I'm not going to read the name. I'll just read the text, but I'm not going to read the name. Dated a girl two years ago.
And it got crazy, so we broke up. It has been a little over a year now. My buddy just got a job working with her. He put her name. I'm going to keep the name out. Working with her. Turns out she has a one-year-old born nine months after we finished dating. Wow. What? I've been looking at pics on Facebook and now wondering if this is my kid. Oh, my God. What? Terrifying. Really? Not sure what to do. Should I ask her if the kid's mine or wait and see what happens? M1's scared. M1 Woods? Yes. Oh, wow. You gotta know. You gotta know. What do you mean? You gotta know. You need to know if it's yours. You gotta find out. He's gotta find out. Oh, yeah. You got to. How do you go? I mean... The implication is, well, if the kid came along nine months after we were... Is that what he said? Yes. After we stopped dating, then that would put...
The kid is being mine. Good timing. You know, that or it would mean that it wasn't your kid and it was somebody else's kid. She rebound slayed immediately. Or she was double slaying. Or she was double slaying. Which is different from double down at a casino, which is when you're trying to win extra money at blackjack. Totally different. Double slaying means... Yes. I think that, you know, most people over nine know exactly. I'm going to use a really inappropriate metaphor. Yeah, it's okay. I think we got it. Did it say how long they dated? Two years? I dated a girl two years ago. Oh, two years ago. About a year then. And it got crazy. It got crazy, so we broke up. Oh, so we don't know. Crazy. She's crazy. Because if it was just like, maybe they just dated. Like, maybe they weren't. boyfriend or girlfriend, like maybe she was playing the field. I still gotta know. She has a one-year-old child that was born nine months after they finished dating. Oh, man. He's gotta find out. He's gotta know. Well, why would a woman... I mean, maybe I'm wrong about this, but don't women... Like, if you get a girl pregnant, do they really, like, have the kid and they don't say a word to you? Oh, yeah. I would think that if she was...
Like, if he said things got crazy, you'd think she'd be the type of person that would be like... Or he was a nutbag. Yeah, maybe. And she was like, I don't want this clown around my kid. Well, listen, it doesn't... There's no pressure on him to write her an email and say, hey, the baby that you... You know, your son or your daughter... I don't think you can do that in an email. No, there's no pressure on him, but don't you have... Oh, I would do it in an email. No way! You can't do that in an email. That's a huge deal. I would write an email. What if she doesn't have the same email address anymore? Let me tell you what I would say in the email. I would send a carrier pigeon. Yeah, I would send a smoke signal like in Lost. Happy birthday, singer. I would, yeah, I would send a barbershop quartet over and say, Is it mine? Is it mine? It's nice to have a baby. That actually, like... That wouldn't be a bad way to go. That's pretty good. We did a pretty good... Barbershop Quartet. Is it mine? Mine. Mine. Is it mine? Is it mine? Why not mine? Nice. Wow. I think we may have just come up with a new bit. Barbershop Quartet sings the news. But only... Wait a minute. Oil spill.
B-P sucks. B-P sucks. B-P sucks. B-P sucks. That's freaking brilliant. B-P sucks. B-P sucks. Hey. Not quite on that one. So, wait a second. You guys, because when I said that I read an email, even the people here in the studio looked at me like I was, you know, from Mars. Yep. So, this is what said email would say. I would say, I heard that you have a one-year-old child. Congratulations. The child was born nine months after we broke up. Is the child mine? And the reason I would do that, hang on, wait, wait, wait, hear me out, and then you can kill me. But the reason I would do it that way is because it sort of puts the onus on her. In other words, no matter how she answers, you haven't done anything wrong, even by writing an email. In other words, if she has to answer you back and say, yes, it's your child, you're obviously like, what?
And if she answers you back, nope, I was just double slaying. No matter what she answers back, you're really not looking like a bad guy. You're right. You're not a bad guy. You're right. You're not a bad guy. And what if she doesn't answer you back? Then you're going to sit there and refresh, refresh, refresh? If she doesn't write me back, if she doesn't write me back, again, the onus is on her. No, but you have to know. You have to know. It was the wrong email. You have to know. Wait a minute. You have to know. Send her through Facebook. No. I would want to see her face when I ask. Right. Why didn't you tell me? And meet the kid and be like, is that my eyes? I mean, what if, yeah. The girl that I broke up with two years ago, I find this out, and what am I going to do? Call her up and be like, hey, want to go have coffee? She's like, we broke up two years ago for a reason. So what? I want to talk to you about something. Oh, boy. That's my favorite bit. Okay, let's do it. I'm the girl. You're the guy. You're the girl? Yeah, I'll be the girl. I'm the girl? Yeah, you're the guy. You call me. He wears more makeup than you do. Hello. Hey, how's it going? It's going great. How are you? Good. How have things been? They've been great.
I saw you have a little boy now. Congratulations. Thank you. Hey, I know this is kind of out of blue and everything. I was just wondering, would you want to get together for coffee? Oh, that's really nice of you, but I don't think my boyfriend would be comfortable with that. Oh, no, it's not like that. Don't worry, I have a girlfriend anyway. It's just something that's kind of been weighing on my mind that I'd like to talk to you about. Do you have herpes? It's nothing like that, but I really feel like it's not appropriate for the phone. Oh, no. You have herpes. Yeah, you have herpes. Perfect. No, no, no. I don't have herpes. Just syphilis. Just syphilis. Do you have syphilis? My boyfriend is sitting here and wants to know if you have syphilis. Tell him he can come, too. Tell him he can come. If that makes you more comfortable, he can come. What is this about? Just tell him on the phone. Just tell Mickey Mouse what it's about. What is this about? I would have to do it. Over the phone is better than the email. What? I'd write an email. I don't think Mickey Mouse would be talking like that. Listen, you guys know me. I'm more comfortable in an email than any of us. She's so much more comfortable in an email. Love it. Yeah, but she did something wrong. You didn't. Well, she didn't necessarily do something wrong. I think she did. What if it's not his? But if it is. If it is, she did something really wrong. Even if it's not his, she did something wrong. Why?
Because it was born nine months after you guys broke up, which means she was double slaying or slaying. Oh, yeah. Well, maybe. She could have been premature, could have come, you know, she could have slayed. The baby, if the baby came, well. Yeah. Nine months. She could have waited a month, slayed. Not premature, maybe a little late. Then had a kid. No, what's the nine months? Yeah, but some people have babies at seven. Eight month old baby. Yeah. Yeah, that's what I meant. Like, I could have a baby now. You're not really good at math. No, I see what you're saying. If the baby was born early. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If the baby came at seven or eight months. She took a month off, went back. Yeah, she's still got to tell you. Hey, listen, I took a month off from you. Went out to PB. Yeah, then I just met a guy. I was going to get after it. We don't know how serious they were. Yeah, okay. Once you're broken up, it's fair game. Hey, I'd want to know, dude. I would want to know. Yes. If you don't intend to get back together. Wait a second. Didn't you once accuse a guy of cheating because you guys were broken up? But we were on a break. This is unbelievable. No, no, no. Mike, there was an ellipsis. You were broken up. Yeah, we were broken up, but there was an ellipsis. No, but if they ended things because things got crazy, we were like, let's just take some time apart and see if we can get the situation figured out. Yeah, that means I'm going to go slay on the break.
Well, just don't expect to get back together with me. You can do whatever you want. Don't expect to get back together with me and not tell me that you've been slaying and then slay me. 570-1949. See you later. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com. What is the appropriate way to handle this? So, okay, so you guys are out on my email thing. What if you just, I mean, this is going to be weird, but what if you just, like, ran into him coincidentally? Stalk! Oh, my goodness. Sienna suggests the most game-playing ideas. It's always like you set it up. You pretend. No. Oh, look at you. No. You do it in a really sly way. Exactly. I had a friend who found out seven years later. And the way he found out is he got a petition to come to court. Yeah, weird. She ran out of money and needed help. Yep, she ran out of money and needed help. Wow. He didn't go. He just kind of, he didn't realize he had to go. He thought, so then they ended up, what is it when they take it just automatically out of your pay? It's called garnishing your wages. Without a attorney test or anything? I can't have my wages garnished. A friend of mine. When you don't show up to court, they just bam. A friend of mine, her stepdad got a call a couple years ago. Yay, hi, is this so-and-so? And he's like, yeah. Okay, I don't know how to say this other than just say it. I'm your son. I'm 35 years old.
35 years old. Holy crap. And it happened. I mean, he's been married, has kids. It'd be crazy. He had no idea. My friend's stepdad had no idea that he ever got this woman that he dated in college pregnant. She never told him. And then he moved. This was on the East Coast. He moved over to California. No mutual ties. Never found out. I'm sure that happened. It's like Buddy the Elf. It could happen to probably almost any guy. It's crazy, though, because his son, who he didn't know, moved his whole family over and now lives in La Jolla. Wow. I mean, it all worked out. They're tight now? Yeah. That's good. They both surf. They look exactly alike. It's crazy. That's great. 570-1949 is the number. 949mikey at gmail.com is how you get a hold of us by text. what would you do um people don't like my email technique very impersonal and so if you don't like the email technique that means that you have to call them and you have to meet with them which means that they have to agree to meet with you and if they don't and for well first of all i think that it would be completely within balance for somebody to want to know why do you want to meet with me and which is very delicate and unlike woodsy
If you're not going to do it by email, you're not going to do it on the phone. You have to. I do it on the phone before I do it. On the phone before email. Before email. Yeah. Yeah. What's wrong with asking? If they refuse to meet with you and they're going to make it difficult for you, then okay. You can't just go, well, I tried. And this is not just for this topic. I want to know just in general and in life. What's wrong with an email? It's very impersonal. And you don't even know if they got it. I'll give you a perfect example. Go ahead. Yeah. I just always, I go back to recruiting. When I recruited people and the guy that goes. Hi, did you get my email? Email me. Pick up the phone and call me. Bauman, I yell at him all the time. He's a sales guy. He's like this client I had problems with. I sent him an email. I go, pick up the phone, Sally. He won't pick up the phone. Maybe he's already on a conference call. No, he's not. He's a Sally. He likes to do the email. No, because it's a safe thing. Like, oh, I did it. It's safe. No, I'm done. But I'm done. I'm done. It's in their hands now. Yep, yep. It's in their hands. Put the ball in your court and keep it in your court. I have to give you the... Most genuine and sincere reason for the email bit. Okay. I am a much better communicator through writing than I am if I'm talking to you on the phone. I don't buy it. So am I. Woodsy. You're great both ways. You're fine. I'm telling you that I am a fantastic communicator with this microphone in front of me. But if we have to talk about something.
It's not easy for me. It's not easy for anybody, dude, but it's not supposed to be. You're finding out if that's your kid. No, I'm just not. That's why I said I'm painting with a broad brush here because I'm not just talking about this. I know what Mike means. Just in general. I think you're right because you can tell a difference. With a lot of people, you can. Pick up the phone. I love that bit where they're like, hey, I tried to get a hold of you. Really? Yes, shot you an email. I shot you an email. Really? You didn't try to call me? Call me. Because my cell phone's on my hip all the time. Call me, man. Call me. You get me anytime. Does that mean that you got the email, but you didn't respond to it? I don't know. Maybe. Maybe. I don't know. Maybe it went my spam. Maybe I have five email accounts, and I don't know which one it went to. Maybe it got lost. Well, I've got a Mikey Show email. I've got a Gmail here, and I've got a personal email. And then we're getting woodsfamilyatyahoo.com. Yeah. Getting that up. Yeah. I had the same email address for a long time, a Hotmail one, and I just canceled it. I don't have it anymore. And that's the one that, like, all of my friends had. Yeah. Seriously. I mean, pick up the phone. If you want an answer, if you really want an answer, or the guy that sends email, the guy that probably didn't want to know. Really. Because there's a chance she goes, jerk, and doesn't write back. If I didn't get an answer back, I wouldn't assume. No, no, no. I wouldn't assume. I would have to get an answer back. I'd have to have resolution. So if I didn't get an answer back, then I would go to the next step. Which would be phone. Which would be phone. And that's okay. As long as you're willing to say, yeah, if I don't get what I need, I'm going to pick up the phone. Great.
Yeah. But isn't this a yes or no? Like this isn't like a convoluted response that you need an email back from her. It's a yes or no question. So why not just go right to the phone? Yeah. How? Because it's creepy. That's not. I'd be like, look. Slater, dude. You slater. Might as well talk to her. It might be out of left field. It's not a cold call. It's not some stranger. No, it's just creepy. Intimate with. Hey, listen. You're just as. afraid of conflict as I am, buddy. We're in the same boat. I'll pick up the phone. Really? You pick up the phone to conflict? Me and LLB got in a fight one day here on the air. We did? Oh, yeah. And what happened later in the afternoon? We hugged. Yeah, but you hugged. Hold on. You resolved way before that. No, no, no. Oh, and you called me? Called her. But didn't you resolve here? Yeah, but he did the extra. Kid goes the extra mile. He did a follow-up. I did a follow-up call and I said, hey, are we good? She said, absolutely. You're just a clown. Okay. Don't you think, too, though, that, like, with this, even if she said no, if I were a guy, I don't know, because I've never been in that situation. Weird. But, like, I would even want, even if she said, like, no, why would you think that? I would want, like, a paternity test. Mike, why don't you just send her a text?
Too impersonal, Woods. Same as an email. You should write on a piece of paper and do a paper airplane in her window. Check yes or no. Is that my kid? An email to me is more official because it comes in a little mailbox. Mikey. You've got mail. Yeah, you've got mail. An IM? By IM. By Facebook status. Facebook status. LOL, is that my kid? LMAO. I'm so scared of authority, so I start crying. Woods. I don't like to be tickled because I squeal like a little girl. Sienna. How fair my skin is. I got freckles. Get out of here. And Jay. This is a paid gig. I'm 100% in. On FM 94.9. I don't know if you've been to MikeyShow.com. If you haven't, you should take a moment. Go there, check it out. It's really awesome. And so you know.
The guy that did it is our boy Jared. If you want to see his website, go to createyourdesignonline.com. And what he did for us, he can do for you. He builds websites, and they're good. They're really, really good. And for $150, he could do a business starter package for you. That'll give you a logo design, business card design, and 1,000 cards. Really, really amazing graphic artists. He also did our billboards and our stickers and all that stuff. An amazingly talented guy. And a hell of a nice guy. Yeah. Great dude. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. Yeah, and he'll work with you, get stuff turned around for you really fast. Yep. Very, very cool. Let's see. We got new movies that are out today. Yeah, we do. What do we got? Coming to theater today. Splice. That is Adrian Brody. Splice? Splice, yeah. Does anybody know the R? It's rated R. It says it follows genetic engineers Clive. Who secretly tried to use human DNA in a hybrid, which could revolutionize science, but their result, called Dren, turns into their worst nightmare. Oh, it's a horror movie. I've seen the previews and it looks real creepy. I'm sorry, I was watching Splice. Does it? I know. Splice. This one, Woods, maybe you're going to want to go see. What? Marmaduke.
Zero percent. Do you know what Marmaduke is? Yeah, he's a dog. Yeah. And a 35. It has Owen Wilson and George Lopez. It could have Megan Fox nude. I'm not going to see it. He eats Marmaduke. Yeah, he would. I think we'd all go see it. All right, maybe he would go see that. I'd go see it. So Marmaduke is out. It's a good one, Bring the Kids. It's PG. Killers. Oh, my God. Worst movie. Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl. Killers. Why would it be Keillers? I don't know. Ashton Kutcher trades international intrigue for domestic bliss with Katherine Heigl. This is going to be the big one for high school kids, I think. Must miss. Out. 100% out. Because every other movie with Ashton Kutcher has been so good. I know, so good. I wouldn't even watch this one on TBS. No. He's a brilliant actor. What are you guys talking about? He was seen in one movie I saw, Butterfly Effect. What else? Get him to the Greek. Yes. That one looks good. Rated R, Russell Brand, Jonah Hill, Sean Combs, that's Diddy, in case you don't know. Do you remember Forgetting Sarah Marshall? Do you remember the rock star, Alja Snow? Yeah. Yeah, he's keeping that character of Alja Snow, but it's not a sequel. It's like a whole bit based on that guy? Yeah, who was brilliant in that movie. Yeah, but he was so good as like an accent piece. He's the star. Yeah, it says that the plot of the movie is that that guy is, well, Jonah Hill's assigned to escort.
That guy. Yeah, I'll just know. Jonah Hill is obsessed with him. Yeah, but he's playing a different character, which is stupid. So here's a cameo with Lars Ulrich from Metallica. No way. I want to come and see you, Jackie. I don't think you should, but I do. I really miss you. By the way, try to keep in mind as you listen to this clip of Lars Ulrich doing a cameo, Lars not an actor. No. Okay. Hey, babe, it was on the horn. It's Mom. She's just calling up from London. Let me take care of this. Oi, Aldous. It's Lars. I'm ashamed that you were the drummer, Jackie. I'd always dreamed that you would marry a front man. With charisma. Razzmatazz. Rough around the edges, but stars in his eyes, you know. Jackie, your mom kind of sounds like a Monty Python skit. Oh, he's terrible. He doesn't sound that good. He's a good drummer. He doesn't sound that bad. Freaking phenomenal drummer. Great drummer, but... He's not an actor, you know? Not an actor so much. What else we got? Is that it? That's it. Those are the big ones. Those are the big movies coming out today. Let's see. This is from... Do I have? Recap. Where is it? Do I have it? There we go. Listen to this. Jay. Jay put in his recap today. He was sneaking around Finn's Facebook photos. Oh, boy. Finn is his 17-year-old son.
No, he's not. He's 18. He's 18 now. He's a man. He's a man. Wow, which makes it kind of worse that he was creeping around his Facebook photos. He's an adult person now. He's an adult. He's an adult. He's still my son. I want to be friends with him on Facebook. Would he be my friend? He won't be my friend. Oh, really? I wonder why. He's not going to be my friend then. Jay says he will not allow Jay to be his friend on Facebook. Oh, I don't blame him. But he has photos that are not private, so Jay was looking at him. He says he's looking at some prom. pictures and they're great. It's real cool. He says his date's cute. They look great together. And then he comes across some more prom pictures. Oh, gosh. It's a sleepover with guys and girls. Yeah. That a boy. He's a man. And Jay is like, what's going on here? So in a couple of pictures, he sees beers in people's hands. Imagine that. And again, Jay's like, what's going on? I can see Jay. He says there's girls and guys in the same room sleeping together. He confronts Finn and asks, whose house is this at? And did the parents know about it? The parents apparently were all in. He says it's the cool house.
We all know the cool house, right? There was always one of our friends or someone who had the cool house. It's where you go where it was okay to drink beer because they were like, well, better you be here. Leave us your keys. That'll stick. Hope you don't mind if we made a couple of rails for you guys. Stop it. We left you guys a hypodermic because we don't want you getting them on the screen. Thanks, Mrs. Johnson. Thank you. Thank you, Mrs. Johnson. Stop it with that. This is a really good blow. Well, only the best for you, darling. Is this Peruvian? No, it's not. No, Colombian. Colombian. Colombian. I can barely feel my face. Jay. It's wrong. Darling, you should gum that. Oh, yeah. You should gum that. There you go, sweetheart. Now, chase that with a beard. Chase that with a beard. There you go. Really chug it. Really chug it. There you go, sweetheart. Now get to bed. Oh, you know I can't sleep. I'm wired. Jay, what do you think? I mean... Well, Finn's pretty matter-of-fact with it. He's like, yeah, you know me, Dad. You can trust me. I'm like, well, if I can trust you, why didn't you just tell me about this in advance? He said you're sleeping at a buddy's house. Because you would have said no. He's like, well, she kind of is a buddy, Dad. Technically, I was telling the truth. I'm like...
You know, all the pictures, there's nothing of him doing anything wrong. Honestly, he's sleeping on a couch. Passed out on a couch. No, he's asleep. All kinds of inappropriate images on his face. No, no, no. Yeah, what's the difference between, in a photograph anyway, passed out and sleeping? Nothing. You can tell by the mouth how it's gaping and how the limbs are flailing. I'll show you. Yeah, I look like I'm passed out. Do you want to know if someone's passed out or if they just fell asleep? If their shoes are still on. That's a great point. That's a great point. If your shoes are still on, you get drawn on. You are done. If your shoes are off, technically the rule is you're not supposed to be a remiss. You lose an eyebrow, too, which is always a treat. You know, in the end, I was okay with it. Just because, you know, he comes across as a square shooter with me. He's like, no, Dad, you know, I was there, but nothing else. And I was like, what about all this? He's like, well, you know, that's kind of what goes on, Dad. And I'm like, I know. Do you think he had a couple beers, and do you care? You know, when we went to Mexico, here was the test. We went to Mexico. He went to a surf trip with me. Yep. And first thing we got down there, I was like, hey, I popped open two beers because he's 18. You can drink legally in Mexico. Nice. We hand him one.
He didn't really finish it. It was just free. He could go to the refrigerator as much as he wanted to. He wasn't into it. Yeah, but don't you think that that's because you're kind of crazy about drinking with your old man? It is. Hey, I'm 35. My dad's, like, bailed me out of jail before. Like, I go around him, and I'm 35 years old, and I can drink in front of him. I just kind of don't. If it's Tiffany and Bryce, your friends, you're like, hey, pop another one. Because you want to get wild with your friends, not with your dad. We used to go to the lake. We used to go to the lake house, like, every weekend. If my folks are there, Jamie's like, have some drinks. I'm like, I just don't feel comfortable still at 35. They're not there? I'm like, whoo! I throw down with my folks. My dad, when I could drink, I'd throw down with my dad. Really? I do too with my parents though also. Yeah, some people will. When I still drank like a gentleman, which was quite a while ago, I would always try to be composed if I was in front of my dad. So I always wanted to look like I was a gentleman. You know, like I could drink a beer like... Socially, casually. And I want my dad to see, look, I'm drinking a beer. I'm good. You know, I nursed this beer for a while. Yeah, my dad thinks, oh, you know, this guy's got it in control. You know, that kind of deal. Like, he's having a beer. Yeah. Look at how responsible. But when I'm with my friends, a different story. For sure. But it could be that Finn is just not much of a drinker. He doesn't really care. Who knows? Absolutely. I was pretty angry with the parents, though. The cool house is tough, man, as a parent. And, like, I always thought I'd be the parent.
Because my house was not the cool house. You did not come to my house to booze if my parents were home. That wasn't the bit. Hey, Dad, go get us a handle of Jack and a case of Budweiser. It just wouldn't happen. It just wouldn't happen. And I kind of always thought, man, I'll be like, you guys can all hang here. Never, never, never, ever, ever, ever. What's your opinion of the cool house? 570-1949. You can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. You get a lot of trouble being in the cool house, by the way. That's the thing, man. What do you think about it, dude? I mean, we all kind of admit that kids are going to experiment when they're 16 to 18, let's say, right? Like, we're all in agreeance on that? Sure. Probably even earlier. Maybe even earlier. That's the old bit. Do you want them at your house or do you want them at Joe Blow's? No, I don't want them at none of those places. I don't either. But we just agreed that it's probably going to happen. But see, this is the thing that always kills me with this is that to me, it's like we're pretending that the parenting begins at this stage of the decision. Exactly. And I know it doesn't. I know it doesn't. You know, it starts. I mean, last night, man. I mean, Jake is three years old. I'm already teaching him values. He's never. It's going to be shoved into his brain, down his throat.
Any place I can get him to understand all those. Now, I don't know who he's who his character is. I know. And so I think I do because Jake is the sweetest. You know, he's the sweetest kid. So was I. So was I. I was Jake. There's no. I'm not trying to freak you out. But you also told me you also told me you were not disciplined harshly. Not spanked. Yeah, you weren't. I mean, so how were you disciplined? Because I thought your whole deal was that there wasn't much discipline. Oh, there was discipline like you need to be here and you have rules and you have chores. What if you broke the rules? I got in trouble. I got grounded. I got stuff taken away from me. Now, my mom... Now, tell me this. I thought that the deal was with you that you loved to read. I did. So when you got grounded... Yeah, it was like paradise. It was paradise. Yeah, I was playing Nintendo or... It's not paradise when you're in high school and you're grounded. And you're missing out on a party. But my thing is, you just agreed with me that kids are probably going to experiment. Kids of great character. Kids that have these values. That have them. Yeah, they just get curious. They get curious. My whole thing is, that's what I wrestle with and have, you know, thinking about having kids is like, dude, do I want to have my son have his first beer with me? Or am I a D because I'm like, hey, try a beer. You know what I mean? Like, it's just such a...
Boy, it's just a roll of the dice. I remember being, did your parents ever do the bit where they were like, when I was a little kid, my dad would be having a Coors original. The yellow belly. And he would let me just the rim. Yeah. Just go like that on the rim of it. You know, when I was a little kid. I hated it. Oh, it tastes like you're. Yeah, all kids. All kids hated it. It's disgusting. Yeah. But we felt so cool that we got to do that. But the deal is that you're 100% right. We don't know the character of the kid. But what I do know is that I'm going to do my best before we ever get to that stage of putting it into them. I know, man. And I am too. Believe me. All the struggles I've had in my life, you have to. All I can say is what I know. My house was the cool house. Really? Yeah. Was it really? Yeah. I mean, my mom never, they would never buy us alcohol, but we were allowed to drink there. You know, my friends and the ones that she knew. Yeah. And we would. And I honestly, because of it, I never got out of control. I never had a problem. They were always there to like, if there was anything wrong. And my mom was, look, there's no drinking and driving. Absolutely not. I will take your keys. But if you know, if you are going to drink, I'd rather have it be under my supervision. So you'll do that with your kids. And I don't even.
I probably will. I mean, I yeah, I mean, I probably will. See, I think that she maybe she got lucky because you're like a good kid. And I think, you know, there are exceptions. That's why I said I can only speak from what I know. And I I mean, when I got to college, I partied pretty hard in high school. That was when I was the biggest partier college. I worked and I went to school and then I worked on radio and now I don't drink. See, I remember like the the cool house, like the graduation parties or certain things. And the parents would take every. precautionary measure and take the keys and stuff like that. And I look back on it now and I'm like, I remember like waiting until they went to sleep, sneaking and taking keys and like those parents like freaking out. Where did so-and-so go? Where did so-and-so go? And like, it's such a liability. I think about it now. We were really lucky then because like I said, we was only like, we grew up in La Jolla. My mom knew all of their parents. They all were, you know, they knew where their kids were and it was, you know, like a tight knit, like a big little family. And so. Usually, my friend's parents were over there, too. M1 Mindy from Encinitas. You there? Hello? Yeah, go ahead. Yeah, no, I was just talking that my house was the cool house, that all my friends would come over, and we could pretty much do whatever we wanted. And my parents stressed me on anything, although they regretted that later. But, no, it was funny because I could pretty much do whatever and say who was coming over and who wasn't coming over. And they would say, okay, you know, they were the...
As long as you're doing it here, you know, then we're safer. But I think my parents gave me a lot of respect because no matter where I was or what I was doing, they said, you know, no matter what, you can always call us if you're drunk and, you know, no questions asked. Just we'll come pick you up and we'll bring you home. So I think they trusted me with that. That's absolutely what we've told our kids. Yeah, my parents do. But so isn't that, I'm like so scared of being a parent. Isn't that, hey. Here's a license to drink, pal. I'm your new DD. It's just you know that they're going to. So if they are and they're ever in a bind, do not be scared to call me because I'll do whatever it takes to get you safe. If you get drunk, if somebody you're with drinks, if anything like that happens, call me. I'll come get you. There's going to be repercussions, but I'd rather that happen. I'm going to find out anyway is what I'd always say. Here's the deal. And you would, too. I would. Oh, MacGyver. Yeah. And it's better than trying to sneak around. Like, I remember as a kid, my parents told me that, you know, they were absolutely against it. But they said, you know, being realistic, if it ever happens. And then I never.
was drinking and driving as a kid. I wasn't like, I have to be sneaky and I have to get home and think, like, if my parents found out I was drinking or the person that was supposed to drive was drinking, like, it was always out there that if I was in trouble, I could let them know and I didn't have to sneak around and possibly get hurt. Yeah. Well, the expectation for me and the kids, for the boys, will be, you're not going to do that. And then I'll have to deal with Lukey, but... At seven. I'm doing it now. Yeah. But the deal will be... they'll always know that if they're in trouble, regardless of what the situation is, I will never be specific and say, if you're ever out drinking and you need a ride home, I'll never be specific. The deal will always be, if you need me, call me. Doesn't matter what the situation, if you need me, call me. But the expectation will be, don't be out there drinking. Don't be out there drinking or just so you know.
Your butt kicked in from your dad. Yeah. But sometimes they won't know. Even if you say, if you need me, call me. They'll be like, he's going to kill me. He's going to kill me. And you're too scared. You're going to do anything you can to get a ride home other than call you. Hey, and I'm just telling you, that's going to be the rule. The rule is that you're not. Listen, man, I got my dad. My dad didn't put up with stuff. My dad didn't put up with stuff. Oh, you want to switch it? Let's see. Let me give you this one instead. Here we go. My dad didn't put up with any business. We got an update on what's going on in the Gary Coleman case. Yes. What do we got? We talked yesterday that Gary Coleman's wife, Shannon Price, well, they are no longer married. In fact, they got a divorce August 12th, I believe, of 2008. And their divorce attorney is the one that came forward with the news confirming it was true. And so that. Rose, a big question came up because she was the one who decided that it was time to take him off life support when he was in the hospital. And it turns out that the hospital that they were at, the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, says that she, in fact, had the power of attorney. So even though if they weren't married, if they were married, her name's on it. He never changed it. She has the power of attorney. Right. Well, I mean, it makes sense. If that's the deal, that's the deal. Yeah. We talked about it a lot yesterday and whether or not. We thought that she was up to no good, up to no good. We heard the 911 call and they said that she resisted to help him, which because, you know, she she kind of did, but she did end up helping him. It was because in the beginning of the 911 call, the operator was asking her to help him.
She was just saying how she had a fever and she couldn't move and the blood was making her nauseous and she couldn't help. Right. Yeah, because if she didn't really want to help him, wouldn't she just wait to call 911 until he was, like, gone? Yeah. This is good news. The Chelsea's Law passed by a landslide 65 to nothing. Yeah. 65 to nothing? Yeah, that's great. I know. So now the next measure is it moves to the state Senate's legislative process for consideration later this month. But, yeah, I mean, that's awesome news. And you guys know that Chelsea's Law aimed at tightening parole procedures for sexual predators and imposing life sentences. Do we know, like, details of it? Like, what will it actually do? Like, they have to report more often. Are they going to check on them more often and stuff like that? Yeah, stuff like that. They'll have, you know, the monitor bracelets and stuff and sexual predators and those imposing life sentences. sentences or imposing life sentences on those who committed offenses against minors. So if you are a sexual predator of someone who's under the age of 18, you're going to jail for life. I love that. Yeah. Absolutely. I love it. Yeah. The thing is, is the people that were opposed, you know, where it's because it's pretty costly. Right. Yeah. It's good. Tens of millions of dollars annually. Yeah. Can't put a price on a life. No doubt. Does this surprise you that Americans rank as the planet's least?
green people. Yes. No. It does. I think it does. It does surprise you soon. It does surprise Woodsy. Yeah, it surprises me. The reason, I guess I wouldn't have guessed it, but when I heard it, I guess the reason that it made sense to me is because as many green people as there are, man, there's an awful lot of people that are not as well. Yeah. That do, you know, like, I'm trying, but Woodsy just gave me a, are you? When I tell you why, you'll understand. You know what I need to get going better? What? Is that blue. Yeah, dude. The light bulbs? Even I do that. Right? Yes. Blue what? The blue recycle bin. Oh, no. You don't have one, dude. You don't have one? I don't. I think we do. Look at Jay's face. Look at Jay's face. Oh, my gosh. Jay, where do you get it? I'm going to get it today. Call Edco. Call Edco. It's free. Who is he? Where does he work? Edco is the waste management company. Where does he work? Please email someone, Mikey, the information. First of all, when I called, I didn't even have to ask for a recycling bin. I think you had to tell him you didn't want one. You have to respectfully decline in order to not have one. I think you had to decline it. It's probably in your garage right now.
Maybe we have one and use it, and I don't know because all I do is take the trash out. And I don't drink cans. How about those Ziploc reusable containers that you throw away every day? How many times do you use those? You know, every day I come in here with my barstucks, and I take the cap off, and I toss it, and I recycle that thing. What thing? Why don't you take a metal container? The containers. Oh, okay. Why don't you take your travel mug in there when you go there? Say, hey, can you put my coffee in this travel mug? That doesn't work. Yeah, it does. That's why they sell them there. No, not 16 ounces. Oh, Mike. Get a bigger one. I'm going to find you a 16-ounce cup. Don't exist. I'll find it. Good luck. Don't exist. You need to, even I recycle at home. Even I do? Do you? Yeah. Wow. Maybe we do and I don't know. Oh, Mike. You know. Search. It's hard to miss it. I could hear Rebecca calling me going, babe, we do do that. I do it. I don't know. She probably does. I wouldn't be surprised. I'm sure she does. Well, National Geographic came out with their third annual Green Dex, which is checking out 17 different countries, rating them on how they do on the green list. Yeah. The one out of the top three. Australia. Nope. Why did we think that? I don't know. But we were right here, you and me. Weird. You know how you guys are. Britain. Nope. Argentina. Let me think about this. Canada. Brazil.
Yeah, Canada. Brazil, yes. Canada, no. Chile. Brazil's number three. Chile. Nope. Chad. The nation of Georgia. Yes! No. Only 17 countries, though, were polled, so. Luxembourg. Soviet Union. Nope. Let me just tell you guys. Japan. Yeah, yeah, tell us. India, number one. China, number two. Brazil, number three. China, number two? What? Okay, let me tell you this. Joining Americans at the bottom are the British. The French and the Canadians. Really? Weird. You want to know why? Whoa, it's all the ones that we thought. I know. Do you want to know why? Why French? Because of the factors like air conditioning, how many TV sets do we own, transportation costs, stuff like that. So it's like a carbon footprint. What about the Germans, Sienna? However... What about the Germans? What's the Germany on this list? I don't know. I don't believe this list at all. I recycle like crazy. You do? Yes, I recycle everything. Like what? Everything, Michael. Well... Well, but what are you using? I use everything you use. So when you drink the soda pops. Yes, recycle right in the blue bin. What else do you use? Everything. Toilet paper, T-shirts, panties. You recycle T-shirts. Recycle everything. You recycle panties. Yes, recycle. All right. Go green. Green is great. Yes. On a good note, though, America's Green X score is increasing.
Meaning we are getting more and more green as the years progress. Well, I'll get a blue thing from... Yeah, it's about time, buddy. I think as long as we continue to have stuff like iPads and stuff like that... No, really? Well, probably not. Keep picking on me in there. Hey, welcome to the roast. I'll call Fred Coe. I'll have him bring one over later today. 5701949 is our number. Woodsy is going to be doing an appearance today. I am. How about that? A couple hours. I will be at the Sunglass and Optical Warehouse in Sports Arena. Man, they're having a barbecue there. Free food. So you literally have no excuses. And I'm going to be there. Free food. Yeah, free food. About 5,000 pairs of tickets to give out to Mumford & Sons, Tribal Seeds, Delta Spirit, and KG Elephant. That's awesome. It's going to be awesome. Go see Woodsy today. Go down on your lunch break. It's going to be good. End of the show on Friday, I give you my testimony, tell you my story, and try to share with you something that you may see a little bit of your own story in mind. And, by the way, if you do, you can go to MikeyShow.com. And at the top of the page, there's the word help.
And I want you to click on that and see if you can find any resources for any of the things that you hear me mention that could have to do with you too. My story in a nutshell is that growing up, I was extraordinarily insecure, introverted, and felt different from my peers the whole time I was growing up. dramatic as it sounds, I did feel, I felt worthless. I had no idea that there were any other kids around me or that there were any other people around me that could have felt similar. I thought it was unique, but it was the only way that I knew. When I was in my 20s, I felt extraordinarily ugly, insecure. And you'll hear me say that
I think that anger is hurt, sadness, and fear. I was all of them. I had all those feelings inside, so I was a pretty angry guy. And I would, in general, I would take that out on other people. My radio show before used to be geared, you know, before all the changes in my life happened. My radio show used to be about making fun of people, hurting other people. And the reason that I did it... was because it deflected the attention from me. It literally made me feel better about myself. But the truth is that inside, I just felt broken. I just did a good job of hiding it. I have also in my life felt very, very hopeless. And what I mean by that is, man, I just didn't feel like I had anything in the future to look forward to. I didn't feel like there was going to be anything that was going to be happening in the future that was going to...
Bring me joy or happiness. A few years back, I was completely addicted to alcohol. I would turn the phone off. I would close the blinds in my apartment. I would drink alcohol, and I would have to take sleeping pills in order to fall asleep. One night, I was laying in bed, and I was completely addicted to alcohol at that point. I was laying in bed, and I was looking at the ceiling. And I remember crying, but it wasn't the kind of tears or the kind of crying where you were making noise. It was just the kind of crying where the tears are coming down the side of your face, falling into your ears, into your pillow. And I was looking up at the ceiling and it was nighttime. And I was thinking about how just weeks before my dad told me that unless I stopped drinking, he couldn't have a relationship with me anymore. And that night I turned the steering wheel of my life over to Jesus Christ. And I asked him to come into my life and change me from the inside out. And he did.
It wasn't an instant process. He's still working on me even today. But today I am no longer hopeless. I do not feel worthless. I have hope in my life. I have a beautiful wife. I have three beautiful boys. I have friends that I never thought I would have before. And my life has changed. It is not. An instant answer to all of the things that were wrong in my life. Not by any means. But what it is, is it was just a, it was hope. At the end of the show on Friday, I play a song. And I really want you to listen to the words of the song. Because this song may bring you hope. It's from a band called Third Day. And the tune is called Tunnel. Feel me listen to the lyrics of this song. Because it could bring you hope. Hillary's still out soon. We will see you again on Monday. The Mikey Show is out.
