Tuesday June 8, 2010
Mikey geeks out over Apple products. “Dinner fits” abound at the Esparza and Woods households. Mikey expresses his love for M1s and reminds us that we are all in this committed relationship together. Peru has lenient prison policies so don’t expect Van Der Crap to get a long sentence or better yet, a walk on the green mile. The Geezer Bandit is at it again. How much money does this old guy need? Does he have a cocaine habit? Luke needs to watch the 4 year old girl’s motivational video. LT’s Jets tattoo makes Sienna and Mike feel ill. A M1 and his newly recruited girlfriend call in, giggling under the sheets. M1 tats are a bad idea, says Mikey. The Kid gets roasted when talking about the art of jersey wearing. President Obama is looking for an ass to kick. Steve Jobs introduces (sort of) the new IPhone 4 and Mikey and Woods are all in. Mikey turns into an Apple salesman. LOB does not get along with voice activation. Apple is so good; they can even polish a turd and sell it to you! DYD goes after Jay and me for wearing our cell phones like Wyatt Earp. The NAACP takes offense at an astronomical greeting card. After Tuesday Tutors Eskimo Bluewaters struts in wearing assless chaps over jeans! Her new “agent” suggested she go on Britain’s Got Talent with Peanut the “British” puppet. Peanut gets angry during her act. Bluehair Helen Thomas insults an entire nation and then some. Parents and the stories they tell to embarrass you reveals why Sienna is to this day still nicknamed “Pooper”! Old Uncle Neil stops in and drops some comedy, then cranks out his epic ballad to BP; “Oil on the Rocks”. Gary Coleman’s ex-wife tries explaining her lack of empathy and defends herself against accusations she pushed the poor little guy. Freeloadin’ brother email begs the question of when is the right time and best approach to tell couch crashers to git! Woods says the more family members the merrier. The choice of food Jay takes with him for rock climbing leads to funny Jayisms. The Kid wishes he was a black comedian, and then gets fired up to do an open mic night. Lauren and Sienna are the police at work meetings. Mikey never “got” Star Wars as a kid. Woods and Jame Gum have something in common; they both want to wear LOB’s hair! Jay is a rat assassin.

The show opened with Mikey revisiting the infamous iPhone 4 launch glitch, then moved to sports reactions as LaDainian Tomlinson’s new Jets tattoo sparked a loyalty debate. Later segments featured light‑hearted viral moments like Jessica’s Daily Affirmation and Jay’s edamame‑while‑rock‑climbing story, alongside serious discussions of the Yoran Vandersloot murder confession and a racist graduation card that drew NAACP criticism. Throughout, the hosts examined their own flakiness, the meaning of being an M1 listener, and took calls from fans about everything from parking to family‑stay limits.
What happened, in order
Yoran Vandersloot Confesses
Woodsy details how Yoran Vandersloot confessed to killing Stephanie Flores in Peru after she used his laptop, noting the potential for a lighter sentence due to Peru's laws.
Geezer Bandit Facebook Fame
The crew discusses the elderly‑looking bank robber known as the Geezer Bandit, who now has two Facebook pages with thousands of fans despite being a felon.
Jessica's Daily Affirmation
Sienna shares a viral video of four‑year‑old Jessica giving herself a motivational pep talk on the bathroom sink, which Mikey wants as his ringtone.
LT's Jets Tattoo
Mikey and the crew react to LaDainian Tomlinson getting a New York Jets tattoo on his calf after leaving the Chargers, calling it a betrayal of loyalty.
iPhone 4 Demo Glitch
Mikey plays the awkward silence during Steve Jobs' iPhone 4 presentation when the cellular data fails and he asks Scott for suggestions.
Racist Graduation Card Controversy
Mikey plays a news clip about a Hallmark graduation card whose audio was heard as "Hey, you black holes" and deemed offensive by the NAACP, sparking a debate about intent versus perception.
Edamame While Rock Climbing
Jay describes bringing edamame on a rock‑climbing trip, prompting jokes about the odd snack choice and the effort needed to eat it mid‑ascent.
Flake Talk
The crew debates what makes someone a "flake," with Mikey defending his own reliability while Woodsy and L.O.B. call him out for canceling plans.

KBZT San Diego. A Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Let's do it. Let's do it quickly. Let's do it sweetly. And most of all, let's do it wirelessly. That's right. You know that. You know that. When we designed the Apple iPhone 4, I can't even wait to talk about it. We're not even going to talk about it for an hour. That's what kind of a nerd I am. Apple. Did you see what somebody told you yesterday? What? Mikey, an apple a day is not the cure. Really? Guy likes to buy a new Apple product every single day. I do not. Don't you? Every single month. Yeah. I don't know how often that stuff comes out. I can't help when they put the stuff out there. It's good, though, man. That's why. It's so good. It is. Just wait till I tell you.
Well, it was weird, too, because yesterday I checked Apple stock and it went. Really? Oh, yeah. And I was like, what's up? They just announced. And then I found out why. Why? Well, I think why. Because the worst possible thing that could happen while Steve Jobs was announcing the new iPhone happened. And I'll tell you about it later on. Pretty embarrassing. Some heads were going to roll. Oh, wow. Oh, I bet. Whatever happened, and I don't know because I don't care, but did he walk back and drop the hammer on people, you think? You think it was that bad? Oh, yeah. Well, let me just say, if it had been me, I would have lost my cock-a-doodie mind. Really? We wouldn't have made it on the air today. Really? Yeah. Just spun out? You know how I'm wired. I know. That would have been me. If what happened to Steve Jobs happened to me yesterday, I would have... gone into orbit. And I would have been like, are you kidding me? What are we, kindergartners? Is that what it is? We're in kindergarten? I mean, it's, but still, to me, doesn't make a difference. I'm all in on this thing. Weird. 100%. I'll tell you about it later. So much to talk about today. Quick introduction. I'm Mikey. I feel so fat today. Why? Nice. Having a bloated day.
Yeah, like a girl. I feel like I'm bloated. Yeah, I think I'm menstruating. Yeah, that happens. It does. I don't know what it is. And maybe it's that I haven't exercised in a few days. And maybe it's that I ate spaghetti two handfuls at a time yesterday. Maybe that's why. Forget the fork, Rebecca. She made me so happy. I came downstairs for dinner. You know, she called me upstairs on the telephone. You guys really need like an intercom. My phone rang and it says home. And I still answer the phone hello as if I don't. Hello? Why not just say hey, babe? Hello? Well, maybe it's going to be Jake. You don't know who. Yeah, maybe. Maybe it's Luke. Maybe it's Luke. Maybe it's Grammy. And she goes, dinner's ready, babe. And I come downstairs. And she had made this spaghetti that I love. She bakes it in the oven. She makes the spaghetti, puts it in a casserole dish, puts cheese on top of it, and then bakes it in the oven. Ooh, I'm in. Makes me dizzy when I eat it. It's so good. Fall in love with it all over again. You should have seen the fit your boy had last night at his house. Why? For dinner. What for? Why did you have a fit? We napped.
And we're both like gloomy because of the June gloom, I think. We've been going to the beach three or four days a week. And like yesterday we were just like, yeah. So I laid on the couch and watched Oprah with her. Yeah. Great. It's awesome. Yeah, it was awesome. You loved it. No lie. It was actually really interesting. It was about Elizabeth Smart. Yeah. So I fell asleep and I woke up. I was like, what are we going to have for dinner? What do you want? She's like, I don't know. I'm not really hungry. I got that bit. Yeah. She wasn't going to eat. And I was like, okay. So I started to spin out. Nothing in the pantry. Nothing in the fridge. I'm like. Oh, God. I literally was pacing around the room like. You guys are such babies. Woodsy. We had the same thing in my house last night. Can I, I'm going to, I'm going to, I'm going to explain to the ladies. We're all just children in adult bodies. Okay. And what we want, what we want is we want our mommy, you know, you guys, you ladies. Yeah.
We want our mommies to love us and take care of us and feed us and nurture us. We do. And when you do that, we just want to put our nose in your neck and just kiss you real sweetly and go, you're so sweet, you little love bird. Yep. You little spaghetti maker. I love your guts out. So she's like, well, I'll go get you something. So we feasted on. How nice is that? We feasted on really healthy Jack in the Box. Ooh, yum. Great. You should have seen the look on Todd's face when I handed him leftovers. I didn't want it. I was like, I'm not hungry. Here you go. Baked potato, chicken, delicious. He was like, oh, great. I had this last night. When I was growing up, there were certain things that my mom would make that would make me mad. I was mad last night. Yeah, it would make me mad. When my mom, it was very specific dishes. Very specific dishes. Meatloaf. Oh, I love the loaf. Was meatloaf one of yours? Did you have a mad thing? Oh, yeah. Like when she made it, you were like, really? Meatloaf and lima beans. Loves me some loaf, though. It is good. Not when you have it all the time, though. I eat it four days a week. I love it. Yeah, there were certain things that my mom would make that I would think, oh, you mailed it in. Yeah. You mailed it in. Because moms usually had six things that they made and they just rotated it. Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
But it's probably, it makes more sense, like, when you're a child to get mad at things. But 35, 40-year-old man getting mad at your wife. When you're capable. Yeah, you're capable to make it. It's a little. I'm going to remind you of that. The next time you're upset about something, I'll be like, does this feeling feel familiar? Like, when we were seven years old? All adult. All we are is adults, as little kids in adult bodies. We still react as we were children. Oh, yeah. I can relate to what Woodsy is saying. 100%. I was whining. Did you go to Jack in the Box or did she go? She went. I had to work. I had to be dynamic. Oh, no. I was doing dynamic stuff for the show. She wasn't even hungry and she went out and got it. I was writing dynamic lines. Yeah, so was I. I took care of my own dinner. That is fantastic. 570-1949 is our number. We got to talk about Vander Joke. Real quick, let me introduce everybody. I'm Mikey. That's Woodsy. That's Lauren. That's Sienna. That's Jay over there. And you can give us a call or you could text us, whichever you'd like to do. Text is 949mikey at gmail.com. We're real nice to you. So you can call us. We'll be real nice. Some of us. No, we're all nice. Some of us will get you real good. Some of us may cut you. No.
Some of us may slit your throat. Playing your what? Yeah, playing your blood. I'll slit their throat. That's right. They do that to you. So, oh my gosh. There is so much info today. LaDainian Tomlinson. He's a bandit. Vandersloot. Being an M1. How rad that is. You're not an M1. I don't want to know you. I don't. I mean, listen. Here's the thing, Woodsy. I feel like... If you're not an M1, what are you? What are you? I don't know. Well, you're not. You must be living in a hut somewhere. You're living in a hut. It doesn't get internet signal or radio signal. Yeah. It's the only explanation. Come on, Pizza Hut. We want you here. We want you here. We just want to be your friend. We just want to meet you. We want to know you. We're nothing without you. We're your fans. That's right. And here's the deal. I hear somebody's an M1. Instantly, I go. I know I'm going to like you. Yep. I know it. Weird. I know it. And M1 is a Mikey Show listener, in case you don't know. Yeah. And you have characteristics about you. Am I an M1? Yes, you are. I am. Yeah. That's why I like you. L-O-B. Thank you. M1 L-O-B. Is that my... M1 L-O-B. Yes. Sounds like a robot. M1 L-O-B. L-O-B knows how to get me, by the way.
away. Yeah, she does. She does. She gets me every day and then she just giggles because she knows it worked. I'll tell you about that in a little bit. What'd you get me with? Oh, yeah. I'll tell you about it. You want to talk about it later? Yeah, I want to talk about it later. Too upset. Yeah, and M1 calls into the Mikey show when they do call. Turn the radio down. Get to the point. Don't cuss. They also listen exclusively to the Mikey show. You're not a clown. You don't. You don't. prostitute your listenership out amongst other radio signals. You don't parade yourself around. Like a floozy. Like a floozy. You are committed to the Mikey show. We're committed to you. We're committed to you. We're in a committed relationship. I wake up at 3 o'clock in the morning and try to be dynamic for you. We're always loyal. We don't cheat. We don't cheat on you. We always tell you you look hot. That's right.
And you know what? You do. You are. Especially today on this Tuesday. You're hot, M1. Looking good. You're part of the M1 nation. Let's make out. Let's make out. In a French? No, seriously. No, seriously. Oh, we're weird today. It was a little goofy. Vandersloot is something else, man. This dirt bag. Yeah. Yoran. Yoran Vandersloot. This kid is 6'3". Do you know that? Really? 22 years old. 6'3". Yeah. And what's the latest with him, Sienna? He has confessed to the Peru killing 21-year-old Stephanie Flores on May 30th. According to the Peru's police chief, he did come clean. He actually confessed to... Breaking her neck in rage after he discovered she used his notebook computer without permission. According to him, the police chief, he said, I did not want to do it. The girl intruded into my private life. That's what Vandersloot said. See ya. Yeah. Monster. Happy trails, pal. Yeah. So he has confessed to doing it. It's just a mess. He's just a monster. Yeah. And, you know, when it happened before.
His dad had some sway in the Netherlands. Aruba, because it's Dutch controlled, right? Oh, it's Dutch territory. Yeah, Dutch. And so, first of all, his father passed away. And he did this in Peru. And he not only did it in Peru, he did it, he killed the daughter of a high-ranking political figure in Peru. It's a good move. And just so you know, in Peru, the justice system is a little different. And this is, I'm sure, why he confessed. If you do confess, you get a much lighter sentencing. Peru does not have life sentencing in Peru. They don't have that. There's no death penalty or life sentence. Really? He could get up to 35 years in prison. The kid skates again, dude. Yeah. Probably get off with good behavior. And you may have read last night, some more information came out about the girl, the victim.
She was found in her hotel room half-dressed. She had a shirt on and red underwear when they walked in on her. And what had happened was, according to this police document, the hotel where VanderSloot was staying received a phone call from someone looking for him around 11 p.m. on June 1st. Now, remind you, he killed the girl on May 30th. The receptionist forwarded the call to the room. No one answered. So the hotel worker assumed that he was asleep because the room key was gone. I guess you have to check in the room key if you leave. So they didn't have the room key. About an hour later, the receptionist noticed that Vandersloot hadn't paid for the last two nights, so sent someone up there to go see if he was there. He didn't answer. They heard the TV on in the room, so they knew someone was in there. So then this person at the door sent someone else with another key to get in, and that's when they found her. Hey, listen. Here's the other thing that I think is important for... ladies to hear in this, this guy was a monster. He was a monster, a murderous monster. And if you meet some dude in a casino, you don't know if he's a murderous monster. You just don't know. So be safe. Don't go up there. Who knows what he can be?
Who knows what that dude can be? Well, the notebook computer that she apparently was going through, I guess she learned through that that he was connected to Natalie Halloway. And, you know, it like sparked something in her mind that she had heard of it. I mean, she is in Peru. That happened in Aruba. And I guess she said something and he flipped out and was, what are you doing going through there? Which is so strange. Like, it makes me wonder how that went down. In other words, was she like, hey, what's your name? And he says, my name's Yoran. Your Ann what? Your Ann Vandersloot. Oh, nice to meet you. They hit it off. They go up to his room. He's in the restroom. She's on his computer. And she goes, hey, listen, since I'm in the room with him, I better Google his name just to see what kind of guy he is. Oh, look, he's.
You know, this is a picture of the same guy. Is that how it went down? Maybe because it was the fifth year anniversary. Maybe he was like a creep and was looking up articles or something like that. That kind of deal? I don't know. Maybe. I mean, she was a great poker player. I guess that was something that she did a lot was played poker. And he was down there for the poker tournament. That's why he was in Peru. So I'm sure he knew who she was before he got there. You know, just because, I mean, if she's good, it says that she won a bunch of money at the casino they were gambling at. So, I mean, let's just be very, very careful when you talk to. Yeah, for sure. Oh, it's so scary. 570-1949. You want to comment? 949mikey at gmail.com is our text. Geezer Bandit's at it again. Can I tell you something to kind of lighten the mood? Sure. We'll kind of lighten the mood. The Geezer Bandit has two Facebook pages that people have made for him. Oh, yeah. Really? Yeah. Are you a fan? No, but I may be. I'm not. He's a criminal. He's a felon. He's an armed robber. I know. There isn't a little part of you that you're like. None. D. Go geezer. Put him in jail. No, I know. I can't wait until he's caught. I know. There's not one part of me that thinks he's cute or funny. Put him in a home.
He got all dressed up, though. Wait till I show you this picture. Well, his Facebook pages have 22,000 fans as of last night. And people are writing stuff like, go, geezer. And they're also writing, catch the geezer already. Like, there's a mixed crowd. Of course. I want to chat with you. I understand it. I don't agree with it. I understand it because it's so different and unique that people go, oh, that's cute and funny. And I go, really? Well, the last time the geezer struck, his ninth time was May 11th, but he has struck again yesterday. He robbed the U.S. Bank on Pomerado Road. It's right in the Albertsons grocery store. And, I mean, what he does is he just approaches the... Pomerado, where is that? Poway. Poway. Yeah, what he does is he just approaches the teller. He's really quiet. Everyone says no one really notices him. And employees and customers, I mean, they don't even know what's going on because they don't... They don't expect this guy to be doing it, this older gentleman. Which, by the way, is surprising to me because I think to myself, anybody working in a bank sees any old person come in, they're like, you know, radar up. Yeah. And you would think they'd have like some legit cops in all the banks right now. Like he's striking all over San Diego.
So, I mean, he's been to La Jolla. He's been to Point Loma. But this guy, they say he's in his 60s or 70s. And wait till you see this picture. Yeah, he's wearing a little beret today. He's dressing it up. Usually it's a baseball cap. Now he has a coat on with a beret. Hair slicked back. Sunglasses on. Yeah, I'm not buying it. He looks a little bit like an older guy now. I used to think it was the young guy. I still kind of do. See, I've always thought that it's a very good disguise that looks like an old man. Right. I mean, it genuinely looks like an old man. For sure. Yeah. He stepped up the disguise for sure. I still think it's a disguise, though. Oh, my gosh. What if it comes out in this dude's 70 years old? I don't believe it. But it's just so weird. They're going to catch him, by the way. They are going to catch him. He will eventually be caught. He is gutsy. Yeah. And I'll be shocked if they catch him and it turns out to be, you know, a 70-year-old guy. I really believe that that's a young dude wearing a mask. I want to see his, like, arms and stuff, you know? And see what the skin looks like in his arms. You never see it or his hands. Mm-hmm. Sienna sent me the most hysterical viral video this morning. Uh-huh. A little girl named Jessica. How old? Four. We got to put it on MikeyShow.com. She's a little four-year-old girl standing up on the bathroom sink, looking into the mirror, giving herself a little motivational speech. Anything. I like my dad. I like my cousins. I like my aunts.
I like my mom. You've got to see the body motion, by the way, because she's kind of pumping the fists back and forth. She's standing on the bathroom counter. Her legs are straddling the sink, standing up in the mirror, pointing to herself through the mirror. I like my moms. I like my dads. I like my cousins. Fists. Fists. She's got little fists. I like my Allison's. Everything's plural. Everything's plural. Must be an Allison she knows. Yeah, she knows. I like my Allison's. Wow. Now she's dancing. I can do anything. She's standing down off the counter. I can do anything. See you later. No, she's out. That's Mikey getting ready for work. I need that. I want that as my ringtone or my alarm clock. I can do anything. I like my house. I like my dad's. She'd be a great influence on Luke.
That's right. That's a YouTube video right now. It's really big. It's called Jessica's Daily Affirmation. I put it on my blog if you want to see it. She's so cute. I've been watching the news this morning on TV. It's on all the news because it's like the viral video of the moment. Somebody sees it, thinks it's hysterical, and then they put it on their Facebook. Blows up. See you later. It blows up. Today is Jay's Supermix. White Stripes. Fell in love with a girl. Listen closely. Listen closely because what you're going to hear will upset a great deal of you. When we come back, Woodsy's going to tell us what LaDainian Tomlinson's new tattoo is. If you're driving in your car right now, I would suggest putting your seatbelt on just a little bit tighter. Oh, and by the way, this is what L.O.B.

You know, Topper's buddy, Adrian Gonzalez, guy hit two bombs last night. Well, Topper says that. That's his pal, isn't it? Ego. Ego. Ego.
Guy hit two bombs last night to beat the Phillies 3-1. Coolest thing is, the Padres were being no hit until the seventh inning by Cole Hamels. And Gonzalez steps up, cranks one out. They had three solo homers last night. Bullpen shut it down, brought it home. They're off to New York to take on the Mets. They're still a game up in first play. Red hot. They're red hot. You know, you go on the road against the pennant-winning Phillies and split the series. Yeah. You know, you lost to Halliday, but you beat Hamels and Blanton. It's what you want to do, man. You got to split or win those series when you're on the road for sure. They've won like eight out of nine. Oh, yeah. They have not lost a road series since the first week of the season. What's going on? That's impressive. It's rad. They're like a real baseball team. Maybe you guys go out and watch them sometime. I'm sticking to my ways. It's working. It's working. Well, it was another big day yesterday as the draft went down. Play cut one. With the first selection in the first round of the 2010 first-year player draft, the Washington Nationals select Bryce Harper. This is the guy, Mike, that when you teach Jake how to swing a bat, that's the guy. Really? 100%. Is he a young kid? He's 17. What? He skipped his last two years of high school, got a GED, went to junior college. Kid hit a 560-foot homer. He's hit...
29 homers in, I can't remember, man, but he's filthy, filthy. He's just freakishly strong. Freakishly strong. He's got the swing. His favorite player, he says, was Mickey Mantle, but I know he never watched him play, but he is a phenom. He's a phenom. How did they get, last year, how did they get Strasburg, and this year, they get this guy, the Nationals? Because they stunk. Oh, okay. So he is a catcher. They are going to move him in the outfield. He's going to be a power hitting left fielder. You will be talking about Bryce Harper unless, you know, something freakish happens. You're going to be talking about this guy for the rest of your life. For the rest of your life. He's unbelievable. We should be talking about the Nationals the rest of our life, being that they got Strasburg and now this guy. Yeah, well, and here's Bryce Harper. He's talking about how this has been his dream since he was a kid, cut two. I've told myself ever since I was seven that you need to be the number one pick and you need to work hard to be that number one pick. And, you know, just trying to take it in and enjoy it with the family right now.
trying to have some fun with the family. You know, that's the only thing that managed me. Yeah, he's going to be good. I mean, don't be surprised to see him in the major leagues at 18, like Ken Griffey Jr. and guys like that. 17 years old, I was 457,000 pounds, lived at home, had nothing going for me at all. So does he. That's probably why he spends a lot of time with his family. He is ridiculous. Just be on the lookout. Last year's number one pick, San Diego native Steven Strasburg, will be making his Major League debut tonight. I am super stoked to watch this game. I'm sure it's going to be on ESPN everywhere. You've got no excuses. Watch this kid throw. He throws 100 miles an hour. He's filthy. So his debut is tonight. We will let you know tomorrow how that goes. Also, the Padres had their pick. They had a ninth pick in the draft. They drafted a kid named Karsten Whitson. Throws in the mid-90s, 6'4", 190 pounds. He'll fill out. Should be a stud. They send him to... Single A, probably. Single A, and he stays there a while, and then he finally gets to make his... How long does that take? It depends for every person. You probably won't see this kid for a while, but he pitched here in an All-Star game. Wants to be a Padre. Wants to get signed. He wants to get the deal done. Listen to this.
Struck out 123 batters in 55 innings. He gave up 16 hits in 55 innings. Filthy. Wow. Filthy. I like that. All right, we're going to switch gears a little bit to football. The Chargers are going to be able to breathe just a little bit easier. They signed Malcolm Floyd with his one-year tender yesterday. They also sent letters to Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil saying, hey, if you guys don't sign, your salaries are cut drastically. Jackson's salary, if he doesn't sign, will go from $3.3 million to $583,000. And McNeil's from $3.1 million to $600,000. Really? If you sign that deal. I wonder. I don't understand, though. What I don't understand is, like, you have a right to not sign a deal if you don't want to, right? Exactly. Oh, I see. I see. So they're saying, well, what we're offering you will go from this to this. Oh. Yeah, that's motivational. Absolutely. It's pretty motivational. And finally, LT. Yeah, I'm going to quit the music for this. Talk about this. Well, you're going to have to cut the cord, dude, because the guy's no longer a charger. I understand. He really made it. He really made it official. He got the New York Jets logo tattooed on his calf. Really? He's a Jet. Moment of silence. Oh, please. He's a Jet. I'm, like, nauseous. Does that make you nauseous, Mike? Yes!
I'm upset. I'm hurt. L.O.B. knows this gets me. That's what she was doing earlier. Because I said he plays on the Jets now. What do you want? Guy's committed to his team. He hasn't even played a game yet. He's fine. Chill out, LT. This man. This man. He's not a Charger anymore. I understand. What about OGs? All right? What about that fake lawn? I know. Right? Just abandoned us like that. If he meant so much to him, they should have kept him. Really? Yeah. He cried when he left. Listen. It's a business. Cried right to the tattoo parlor. Let me just speak my piece. Say your piece. Show your piece. This guy. Weird, weird, weird. This guy has been a San Diego Charger for how many years? Ten. Yeah. All right. Nine, ten years. Helped turn the team around. He is a Charger through and through. He was. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. And I just think that it's the same feeling as maybe any girl would have or any guy would have if you break up and your person instantly goes out and gets another girlfriend.
Exactly the same. And tattoos their name on their body. And you're like, really? Like, you know what? I meant nothing to you? Like, I meant nothing to you? Like, you didn't get a Charger tattoo the whole time you were with us? Yeah. How do you think the Jets would feel? Oh, yeah. Big timer. You're going to come in here with that Chargers tattoo? Yeah. You better get a Jets tattoo real quick. It's like a badge. He gets a badge every place he goes. But, like, where's your loyalty? You're just going to get all the teams you played on tattooed? Yeah. Come on, you're going to move from the Jets, I'm sure. It's like the Boy Scouts. They said that St. Louis Rams tattoo is going to look real good next year. Oh! When he goes there. Hey, I'm telling you, I think, you know, we've said it since day one. You know he's going to have a big year. You know he's going to. Of course he is. There's no question. There's no question. And it's all. Because of what's between the ears. It's all mental. Spite. Spite. He's got to prove it. Blah, blah, blah. It happens with all the great players. What if he doesn't? He will. Unless he gets hurt, Sienna, he's going to have a monstrous year. Yep. I don't think he will. I can't. And how much fun is that Jets-Charger game going to be? Is there really one scheduled? Of course. NFL will do that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Where is it?
San Diego? We'll find out for you. I didn't know that he had a Charger tattoo. I'm your sports guy. And Lauren kind of, she did help a little bit there by saying, okay, so you go to a new team, they're seeing your Charger tattoo, and they're like, really? Okay. I get that. I kind of get that. It's like the Boy Scouts. Yeah, and they're like, really, you're going to walk in here with that? But it's like. And so he's trying to show, hey, I'm a team guy. You watch this. Goes out, gets a. Jet tattoo. We rooted for you, LT, when you made the announcement that your wife was pregnant. San Diego was like, yes. No jet game. I didn't think so. Playoffs. Playoffs. First of all, M1 Robby1 from Fallbrook. Are you there? Yeah, it's Robby1. Robby1. What's up, dude? How's it going, Mikey? Man, I just wanted to say you guys kick butt. I love listening to you every morning. And I actually recruited my first M1. Nice. That a man. There you go, dude. Thank you. That's what it means to be an M1. You're part of the M1 Nation. You belong to something. This is a fraternity. This is, in fact... Can she say hi? Yeah, absolutely. This is M1 Soda. Hello. Hi, Soda. Soda, how are you? Wonderful. Have you had a lot of Soda this morning? Not yet. Why is that your name?
My last name's La Soda. There you go. La Soda. So, Roby One, he converted you, right? Yes, he did. He recruited you to be an M1, and now you are an M1, and you are loyal. Very much so. All right, now let me explain to you, okay, what this means. What this means is that you are a part of an exclusive fraternity that means that you must recruit new people to said fraternity, okay? So now your deal is you go out there, you find more people, you make more M1s. I have a question. Go ahead. M1 soda. Yeah. Where are you guys right now? I'm laying in bed. Oh, real sweetly doing the devil's business. A little new relationship right here. Do those giggles? She's so giggling. She's giggling. Yeah. She loves this. She's always laughing. That's awesome. Stick with her, man. There you go. Laughter is important. We're here from the East Coast to take part in some San Diego weather. Holler. Me too. Sorry about the month of June. Yeah. It'll get better. Robby One, you're a good M1. Thank you, bro. All right. You guys have a good one. Thanks, guys. Yeah. If you're an M1, you got to turn new people on to being an M1. That's what an M1 is. Now he needs to go French her real sweetly since they're laying in bed. I knew they were in bed. I was like, this is really giggly.
Let me tell you, that guy would get, they would get M1 tattoos and they wouldn't get jet tattoos. Yeah, that's true. Keep their M1 tattoos. You know what? M1, Roby, why don't you email the kid, woods at mikeyshow.com. We'll make it right, get you in the studio in July. How about that, pal? Yeah, with M1 soda. Bring M1 soda with you. Real sweetly. You just want to see what she looks like. We had, you had loyal listeners, Mike, that were quick to turn from a P1 to an M1. Yeah. What if they got a P1 tattoo? I'm all about M1, man. Cover that right up. Cover that right up. I'm all M1. But see, I never got a P1 tattoo. Well, maybe somebody did. Yeah. Well, if they, yeah. See, that's the thing. That's why she got me. No, no, no. She got me with the LT thing. You know, it's like he had this charger tattoo. Yeah. Which, by the way, I think I even blogged about it sometime last week where I said, no, it was on Facebook. Somebody asked me about getting tattoos. I said, the only thing that I would suggest against is getting a tattoo with like a name and that kind of deal. Unless it's like your kid. You know what I mean? Yeah. You're not going to break up with your kid. But it is tough to get the, you know, the team tattoo. Because what if something happens? You got to change the name of the team. You got to change whatever. Yep. But I mean, I'm telling you, I am M1 through and through. I have nothing to do with the old moniker.
the past, and that's where it's going to stay. I'm all about M1, and that's what I want listeners to be all about, is M1, M1, M1. And that's the deal, but that's why you don't get the tattoo, LT. That's why you don't get the charger tattoo. I say you don't get any tattoos. Didn't you get Rebecca's birthday? Yeah, remember that? She's getting you, right? No, she's making my point for me. I had to cover up that tattoo. Because we broke up. Then you married her. And then you married her. And I married her. She's right, though. L.O.B.'s right. Don't do it. Because then what happened? I'm going to do it. Don't do it. I'm going to put Jamie on my arm. Are you really? I'm going to get a 949 tattoo on my shoulder. I'm not getting anything. It's the worst idea. Hey, listen. While you're there, you are all team, man. You are all team. You are all for your team. You know what I mean? And the loyalty is to the team. There's no doubt about it. But don't go with the tattoos because you're only going to. And by the way, people would say, I'm going to tattoo the Mikey show, blah, blah, blah. And I would be like, don't do it, man. And they would do it. What would you say about a giant colored rooster on your ankle? Or a flaming softball on your back. Don't do it. Yeah.
But it's already, what's been done is done. He already got his Chargers tattoo, and now he can't be like, well, guys, it was just that one time. Well, I think it's also, it's a good part of history. I mean, it's something that you'll always, you know, whether you're, were a P1, it's like, man, it was a good time. It's a good time. We had a blast, you know? It's just, now we're M1s. Times change. I guess I agree with that. Yeah. But it still hurts. It still hurts, all right? It's a lot of history. Yeah, I just wouldn't. I mean, now that he does have the Charger tattoo, he probably did the right thing because he's showing loyalty to his new team. But don't get it, man. I have a new take on that. I have a take on that. I think the only person that should get a tattoo of their team is the person that plays on that team. That may be a DYD. Dude, you're dumb. What do you mean? Like, I love the Yankees, but I'm not going to get New York on my arm. Yeah. Why? Because. I don't think it's dumb. I do. I think it's pride to your team. Well, if you're never going to change it, you know, I think it's the other way around. I think you can get it if you're not on the team. If you're on the team, you better be careful because who knows what team, you know what I mean? If you're going to be a fan for life, then. Yeah, go Blackhawks. Look at my forearm. Really? I mean. Hey, if Blackhawks have been in your family for, you know, 55 years. Listen, Notre Dame's been in my family for five generations, but I'm not about to go get a leprechaun on my arm. That's you. That's you. I was watching Kendra the other night. Who the hell is Kendra?
The girl's next door, Kendra. What is that? I read books. She's from San Diego. Everyone knows who Kendra is. I don't. Who's Kendra? Yeah, exactly. Sounds like a doll. Mike Esparza. What is it? You know who Kendra is. One of the girls next door. Oh, and she's married to Hank Baskett. Thank you, yes. Sex tape, girl. Yes, sex tape. That's how you know her. Well, I was watching her the other night, and her mom was on, and she got a nice little charger bolt. Patty, if you're listening, hope you're an M1. Who's it? She lives in Claremont, Kendra's mom. And I thought. You are awesome. She didn't have a tattoo. It showed her getting one. A little lightning bolt. It's kind of the bit with the jerseys. That's kind of how I feel about it. What's that? Like, hey, that's Phillip Rivers sitting here at Hometown Buffet. So against that. You know, I'm too. No, no, no. I'm so against your thoughts on that. Oh, really? I like to wear a jersey, man. I do too. I like to support my team. You're Latino. Support your team. You've got a hat on. Yeah, I know. You don't play for the team. Really? Does it say Derek Jeter number two on it? No, it's a hat. You're wearing a Kings of Leon shirt. You're not in the band. Yeah. How about that? I was at the concert, though. Oh, my gosh, Sienna. He is such a hypocrite. I went to the concert. I was at the show. Oh, okay. Greatest. Hey, you in Kings of Leon? No, but I went to the concert and bought their merchandise. I went to the game and bought a jersey. You think I'm going to be the dip ass that wears this to the concert? Hey, it's support. You bought it there. You got to explain.
You've got to explain. I'm not going to wear this to the show. But that means that you could wear a jersey to Applebee's. You don't wear it to the game. No, I just don't like jerseys. We talked about it on Dude or Dumb. First of all, you don't put Esparza double zero on the back. Why is that different? Because you're going to support your favorite player. I'm not on the team, but I like this player. In fact, listen, if Tim Tebow were not a Denver Bronco, which is a divisional rival. I'd already have a Tebow jersey because I'm a Tebow guy. Right. I like what that dude stands for. Sure. I like what LT stands for. Sure. Except the Jets. Yeah. I have a Castillo jersey I wear almost every game. You did Castillo? Yeah. Now you're a fan of that player. Is it pink? No, it's white. Okay. It's the equivalent of wearing, you're supporting the band by wearing that shirt. Yeah, I bought this shirt at their concert, but I'm not going to wear it to their concert. You are the biggest hypocrite. Well, see, to me, it's a different thing than hypocrite. He's got very particular.
Woodsy rules. Didn't you do a whole bit on the jerseys? With your own name on the back. Didn't you do a whole other bit where, guys, it's time to grow up. You don't need to be wearing a basketball jersey. That's the basketball jerseys. With jeans and flip flops. So that's not okay. Well, it's a fashion statement for her. That's what I'm saying. Is your thing a fashion deal? Yeah. I thought that your deal with the jerseys was... Really? Are you Phillip Rivers? No, that too, but it hangs down to their knees. It's always giant. It looks ridiculous. Not always. It's not always. Mine's nice and fitting. Mine's form-fitted. Maybe you put some shoulder pads and a helmet on for the home opener. Mine shows off the goods real nice. My Merriman jersey is form-fitting, so it goes around my shoulders perfectly. See, I only wear the jersey when I'm watching the game to support. Really? On game day, I'm going to put the jersey on. Everybody has their own little bits. Everybody's got their own little rules of how they do it. I'm getting roasted for mine. I'm realizing as the conversation goes on, everybody's got their rules. Or I will come in to work on some Fridays before our weekend games, and I'll wear a jersey to work on Friday. Oh, I'll be wearing green or blue and gold on Fridays. M1, Becca from Point Loma. For sure. Are you there, Becca? Yeah. Hey, go ahead. You guys are awesome, first of all. Thank you. Bye.
On the tattoos, you know what? My boyfriend and I, we live close to OB, so there's a lot of tattoo shops, some great artists, but it's really, honestly, more unique not to have one nowadays than it is to have one. In San Diego, for sure. Yeah, there's a lot of tattoos here. Big player here. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, my my tattoos, I didn't get my tattoos because I wanted to be a part of something. I got tattoos because I wanted to hide my insecurity. And I thought that my tattoos would make me look harder. And I do. I mean, I do like the way that they look, but I wasn't trying to fit in with anybody. I was trying to hide insecurity. But. And maybe that's why a lot of people. I think that's the reason probably Jesse James did. I think everyone has their own personal convictions of why they get it. Yeah. Mine was called being hammered in 18 on 6th Street in Austin. Decided, no, this is a good idea. Yeah. I do love ink, though. I do love it. And I'd like to get more. I'd like to finish what I started with my arm. And I wouldn't mind getting started on my left arm. Really? Yeah. I like them. I mean, I do too. I do too, but.
I think the Saturday Night Live skit freaked me out when it shows these moms getting the, well, they call them tramp stamps. And then you see them dragging after the year and it shows them sagging down. You ever wonder what you're going to look like when you're 80? I know what I'm going to look like when I'm 80. My tattoos will probably be all, you know, bled in together. Right. You know, and I know that. My dad's got a tattoo on his right arm. All growing up, he told me it was the worst decision. Don't ever do it. Blah, blah, blah. You know, and I did my thing. But I really do. I love my tattoos. They're meaningful to me. Sure. What's Jake going to do? Are you going to be all in when Jake's ready? The thing, my bit with Jake will be, hey, buddy, you know, when you're 18, you get to make those choices. And when you're 18, if you want to get a tattoo, that's fine. But I'm going to tell you, Jake, if I were you, this is my suggestion to you. If I were you, I'd wait till you get a little bit older. You know, because I think that you're better. You got better judgment when you're a little bit older. But, you know, when he turns 18, whatever he wants to do, and Luke's going to do it at 14 no matter what I'm saying. He'll need 14 months. Yeah, 14 months. I think Luke's there today. He's cold. For sure. There's a guy in La Jolla who's, like, probably 85 years old, and he works out all the time, and I always see him around, and he's wearing, like, those old-school basketball shorts that are, like, really high up your thighs and a wife beater. And this guy is bald, head-to-toe tattoos, even on his scalp. This 85-year-old guy.
He's the nicest guy in the world, though. It's so funny to see. Obama was on the Today Show, and you got kind of saucy. I was down there a month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the government. He's talking about BP now. I'm going to get roasted. You'll get roasted? It happens to one of us at least every day. Yeah, I'm probably getting roasted for this, but I just got to get my opinion. So the rap on Obama has been, show some emotion, show some emotion. And Obama, his response to it has been, well, you know, I'm going to respond like an adult and a leader of the known world. But just like any of us, I think you get enough criticism about a certain thing. Maybe after a while it starts to wear on you. No. But Obama has been criticized that he's not showing enough emotion about what's happened with the BP oil spill. Down there.
A month ago, before most of these talking heads were even paying attention to the Gulf. A month ago, I was meeting with fishermen down there, standing in the rain, talking about what a potential crisis this could be. And I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know who's asked to kick. Oh, yes! I love that! There you go. That's what... He was going for it. The response he got from Woodsy is what he was going for. You ask me, Obama is a PhD at it. He's better than anybody in the world at getting what he just got. There's nobody that is able to capture emotion from people like Barack Obama. You don't think he means it? I think that he's responding.
Criticism? No, I think he's responding to what he knows the public desires. But that's a really interesting question. Do I think he believes it? Yeah, I actually do. I think he does believe it. I don't think that that's his genuine response. But I think that he's heard people say, you're not emotional enough about it. And so now he's an ass kicker. He's not super emotional in that statement. So I know who's ass to kick? Those are words, but I don't think his emotion is kind of driving what he's saying. He kept it under control, but I like the fact that he said, hey, some heads are going to roll. You don't have to be loud and obnoxious about it, but the message is pretty rad. If the criticism is this guy doesn't show enough emotion. All he had to do was say those words. He didn't have to go. He didn't have to pound his fist and become demonstrative. All he had to do was say those words. The definition of emotion, though, is letting your emotions speak for you. I think he still stayed pretty even keeled. But what I'm saying is the person who says, the person whose criticism is, this guy is not showing enough emotion. But weren't they wanting? Let me finish my statement.
If the person's criticism is this guy isn't showing enough emotion, if he says what he says completely calm, the person who had that criticism is satiated. Yeah, for sure. I believe. I believe they're satiated. I still think that the fact that he said we've got some asses to kick is a pretty rad thing because he does. Yeah, I think it's splitting hairs. And that's why I said I'm totally in agreement. He, I think he does, I think he is upset about it. I don't have any criticism of Barack Obama over this, you know, really with the response. I really don't. A lot of people do. You know, I just like making observations. Real good. Real good. Okay, so we finally get to talk about this. Steve Jobs yesterday, right? He's the CEO over at Apple. He announces the new iPhone 4.
which gets me all geeked out and revved up, right? And it looks like it's probably going to be the best phone ever in the world. But the worst possible thing that could have happened happened during his demonstration. And wait till you hear what one of his dudes in charge said in response to him when things aren't going right. Steve Jobs goes, anybody got, hey, Scott, you got any ideas? Wait till you hear what Scott says back. Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. I think he's a high-ranking official in the company, so I don't think he was fired, but could have been a firing situation. I'll play it for you next. This is The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. This is FM 94.9. It's a Mikey show. I saw Eskimo Blue Waters hanging out in the... Hanging out in the lobby area. Weird. Which is really sad because the lobby's locked, so she's just standing there. Poor little thing. In the dark. Standing out there in the dark. Blasting cigs. Yeah, blasting cigs. Wearing dark glasses where it's almost completely dark in the lobby area, so it doesn't make much sense. So yesterday, I looked at the Apple stock and it plummeted.
The whole Dow plummeted yesterday. I don't know what the deal was. It went below 10,000. Weird. Like, great. But anyway, I thought, now why would Apple stock plummet on the day that Steve Jobs and Apple announce and showcase and show off their brand new toy? They unveiled their iPhone 4. Yeah. Here's what it sounded like. For 2010, we're going to take the biggest leap since the original iPhone. And so today... Today, we're introducing iPhone 4, an all-new design. Now, stop me if you've already seen this. I'm floating around the Internet. Yeah. Yeah, because it got released and everybody got to see it anyway. Yeah. But anyway, this new iPhone, my wife just says to me, so why is it cool? That's all she wants to know.
She doesn't want to really talk about it very much. She just wants to know. She wants the bullet points. Right. She doesn't know anything about it. She just wants the bullet points. Okay. Why is it cool? New features include a forward-facing camera, which can be used for video conferencing while on Wi-Fi networks. Okay. Let's pause. Okay. All right. So, Woodsy has an iPhone 4. I got an iPhone 4. Woodsy's in Dallas. I'm here. We can look at each other on our iPhone and talk to each other in video conference. Cool. Pretty solid. Pretty solid. Pretty solid. Yes. The phone is also. Oh, wait, wait, wait. And by the way, let's say I'm video conferencing you, right? While you're in Dallas and LOB is sitting across from me. I press a button on my iPhone and it instantly switches to the other side of the phone and you see what's happening on the other side of the phone. So I can be talking to Mikey and go. Hang on. Want to see the kids? Want to see the doggies? Want to see this dime walking down the street? Check this out. Shocking. Awesome. Great. Great. Now I want it. What else? It's also the thinnest device of its kind. 23% slimmer than the previous version. Longer battery line. Yeah. Oh, don't worry. If you don't know all the highlights, I can rattle them off. Are you serious? Oh, yeah. This article only names a couple, but the biggest one is the video.
Oh, wow. There's a lot of cool stuff. Let's hear it. I'm going to have to switch cell phone carriers. Me too, dude. And it's going to cost me an arm and a leg. I can tell you about, I mean, if you have AT&T and your contracts are expiring anytime in 2010, you can upgrade to this new iPhone 4 with no extra penalties. And they also announced, Steve Jobs also announced the latest operating system for the phone, which is called the iOS 4, and it will enable users to multitask with email apps and other features. Question. Yeah. I have Verizon. Well, let me finish telling you. Don't you want to know what else it does? I don't know how I get it. I'm sorry. I'm already sold. Do you want to sell everybody else? Go ahead. Well, there's just cool things. I mean, there's cool things about it. It also shoots HD video. Oh, man. Shoots HD video and you can edit the video into little movies on the phone because on iMovie. Why would you need to do that on your phone? Because you're in San Francisco and you're at the Golden Gate Bridge and in 30 seconds you want to put together a cool little video for your friends that is awesome. Put it on YouTube. Wow. Over 225,000 apps. Why do you need that many apps? Wait a minute. It now has a 5 megapixel camera on it, which is a big upgrade. Pictures are beautiful. Oh, and a flash. It didn't have a flash? It never had a flash. Even my stupid phone has a flash. Yeah, a lot of phones do. The iPhone never did. It was one of the criticisms. This is what Apple does. They just listen to people. They just listen to people. It's like what the Mikey Show does. Listen to us rising customers.
Yep. Yeah. What's the deal? It's Verizon's fault. AT&T said that they would give iPhone a big deal and they did. So it shoots five megapixel pictures with a flash. Oh, by the way, when you're shooting your high definition video, you can use the flash if there's low light. Wow. It's not going to super drain your battery because they put this killer battery in there that's going to give it long life. Oh, it does this really cool thing where you're looking at your email, right? You're checking your email out and you go, you know what? There's an app that I want to check out right now. You hit a button and your apps come up along the bottom of the screen running horizontally and you can flip through all your apps and hit them while you're running your email and look at all of them at the same time. Well, I'm screwed. I'm sold on just being able to, if I want to call my husband, I have to get him this first walk season, have one. But you can see him when you're talking to him. That's so cool. I bet all sorts of women are going to love that. Just to give you an idea of the battery power, one of my big complaints about the iPhone I have right now is you can't really...
watch a whole movie like you can download and have movies on it and just watch it but the battery eats up your battery now it has 10 hours of video 40 hours of music 10 hours of wireless internet browsing and 30 hours of standby time that's insane and the other deal that they did with it was they now made it and the people that really know a lot about this stuff will know exactly the number but I'll tell you in layman's terms they basically added a gajillion more megapixels to it. And so now it looks so vibrant and so beautiful and so crystal, crystal clear. It's just beautiful. They were showing pictures on it. I have pictures if you guys want to see. Oh my gosh. The pictures on there are just so crystal clear. When does it come out? It's torture. June 24th at the price of $199 for the 16 gigabyte model. Question. 199, 16 gigabytes. Not bad. Not at all. Yeah, yeah. Do you mind if I ask you how much you pay a month for your service? Rebecca does all that. I don't know. I have, like, the internet and unlimited stuff. Mine's, like, 105 bucks or something a month. I pay more than that. I pay more than that. Are you serious? So, as... Now, if you don't know this, whenever...
A new product is released from Apple. Steve Jobs is the guy that gets up in Cupertino on stage at the same place, at the same deal. He gets up, he wears the same thing. Apple's brilliant the way that they do stuff. Always the black shirt, the jeans, okay? Clean cut. That's always their deal. Everything is, you know, very... Clean lines. Yes. Very clean lines. Very clean lines. Very wireless. Aluminum. Aluminum. So he gets up on stage, and what he does is, they've got a big screen on the stage. And he'll demonstrate the various products on stage, on the screen. Now, what's your worst nightmare as you're unveiling the new iPhone 4? Doesn't work. Doesn't work. Take a listen. No way. I don't know what's wrong with our networks. The whole world is watching. That's a long pause. Oh, just wait, LLB. Listen to the uncomfortableness of this. I'm just going to let it run. Listen to the uncomfortableness. Of the silences. As he's on the phone, the world is watching, the press is there, pictures are being taken. All right. We're going to switch over to some backups here. I have a feeling we might have the same problem. And what he's doing is on the big screen? Yes. And what's not happening? Nothing is happening. There we go. Yes, I know that. I don't want the cellular data network. Well, geez, I don't like this. Weird.
Now, he's about to talk to one of his main guys to ask his main guy if his main guy has any suggestions like, what do I do here? Hopefully you can hear really clearly what this main guy says. All right, let's go back to the primaries. I'm afraid I have a problem and I'm not going to be able to show you much here today. Scott, you got any suggestions? He did not. I don't know if it's him or if it's maybe somebody from the audience or whatever. But somebody yells out Verizon. But that wasn't even the problem. We're actually on Wi-Fi here. So, all right. Well, we're going to hope that things get fixed before my next demo here. Yeah, you think? I don't know. The world's watching. Well, there were too many people in the conference that were clogging up the airwaves. Is that what it was? Yeah. There was too many people that had a network running? Yeah, I mean, when there's that many people. Think of that. Yeah, it's Apple. Yeah. Can they think of that? Anticipate?
Let me tell you. Tried three different times. I've said this, man. I still think that with all of this junk, we're still in the Stone Ages. No way. What do you mean? Oh, I believe we are in the Stone Ages. Listen, yesterday, I'm on my iPad, and I'm watching the video of the new iPhone, and you know what happens? That's weird. You know what happens? Exactly what happens all the time. It starts playing, and it's going great, and then... All of it didn't buffer and download. So it stops right in the middle. It's a beating. That's 2010. Our kids are going to think that's the funniest, stupidest thing ever. Because there's not going to be anything as download times. That's going to be a thing of the past. That's so stupid. Download. One click done. Yeah. You click it. It's there. It's done. You want a movie? Boom. It's there. There's no download time. I'll tell you what. I'm ready for a TV like that where I can literally walk up to my TV and it's like a. It's like an iPad or an iPhone. And I'm like, let's see. What do I want? I want movies. What am I feeling? I think I want to watch Primal Fear. Type it in. Boom. It comes up on my TV. Yeah. That's what I want. Here's what it'll be, though. I'd pay a million dollars for that. Here's what it'll be. You don't have to pay a million dollars. It's almost there. We're almost there. And here's what it'll be. Someone from Apple will go. Someone, because there will be ITV eventually. And what they'll do is they'll go.
We thought of the idea of having a television where you could actually interact with it with your finger and actually... But then we thought that would put smudges. On the screen. So what we decided was you'll speak to the television and you'll tell it what you want it to do. Or a tiny little remote. Right. Yeah, the remote could be a touch remote. Yeah. Dude, and so let's say I'm like... Man, I saw the greatest episode of Modern Family or The Office. It's the one where Dwight does this and I just type in what I want. It comes up. I hit play and bam, it's on my TV screen. What if you didn't even have to type it? What if you just said television on? Television on. Because whenever I use voice recognition software, it never recognizes what I'm saying. I'm like, no. I said one. That's why we at Mapple took... L.O.B.'s voice and ran it through this computerized system so that it would recognize L.O.B. It's like, you have selected number two. No. I hate that. Or the baby crying in the background. Operator. Operator. You have selected Popperator. Operator. Technical services. No.
Customer service. Press one. I said customer service. Disconnecting your call. Thank you. Don't. I'd like to think that that won't happen. They're going to be just on their A game. I just updated my cable service. And now it has all the shows, like the older versions of the shows. Like, you know, if you're watching Friday Night Lights, they're all there. You don't even have to record them anymore. And it just has this. commercial between each where the normal commercials would be. It just runs one commercial. It's very cool. It's just like a library going, I'd like to check this out. M1Nate from Escondido, you there? Yeah, I'm here. What's going on? Hey, I just wanted to comment. You guys seem to be pretty stoked about the iPhone. I personally think the iPhone isn't all that. I think if you guys really want something cool, I would check out the Evo. I just came out on Sprint Network. It has everything the iPhone has at a cheaper price and it seems to work a lot faster. There's way more apps, open source. I've heard that. Is your iPhone the 3GS or which version of the iPhone do you have? Right. Okay. Oh, wow. I heard exactly what he said. Hey, listen, you can tell me that all day long unless you... I love the thing. You know, you think that's cool. Really? Which kind do you have? I don't have one. Really?
He's got the Evo, though. Listen, how can I criticize Evo? I don't have Evo. Maybe he tried it out in a demo. Really? Or saw his friends. Maybe his wife has one. He doesn't have one. But, Mike, you don't have Evo, and you don't know. Maybe it is better. I won't criticize it. Evo may be great. Maybe better than chopped, no, sliced bread. If I put an Apple logo on a turd, would you buy it? Absolutely. You guys see my new eye turd? It's amazing. You know why? Because it'll be the most amazing turd that's ever. Oh my gosh. He's so, so. You are whiffed on Apple. What we decided was that a turd was great, but it was malodorous. Nate, I heard you. Oh, I feel bad. And because it was malodorous, we realized that most people weren't willing to take it along as a pal. They weren't willing to become friends with it because it was malodorous. So we at Mapple found a way to make it non-malodorous, and now my best friend is my eye turd. How did you make it malodorous? Wirelessly. Of course. Quite simply, quite simply, wirelessly. That's so disgusting. Ew. See, many people thought it was disgusting in the beginning. But once our engineers started to decide how we could make it lightweight, most people weren't afraid to put it in their pocket. Ew.
What did you make it out of? Aluminum. Nice. Aluminum. Solid aluminum. So not only is it lightweight, but if you take your eye turd with you and you fly off a 14-story building, it can take the impact, absorb it, and not break. Unbelievable. It's really, really wonderful. It doesn't leave any ways. Listen, Evo may be fantastic. Honestly, it may be fantastic. I'm just telling you, I use the iPhone. Maybe his wife has one. Maybe he's doing an apples to apples comparison. Maybe you're making stuff up. No pun intended. I've had friends move from Verizon to the iPhone and then bounce right back. They're like, no way. I will say that, Jay. I will say that. I used to have Verizon. So I can speak about Verizon because I had Verizon. It was wonderful. I just said wonderful. Well, they changed it. It was great. Tell us more, Grandpa. They put the same interface on all the phones like a year or two ago. So if you had one phone and then you had to upgrade or something like that, you could know what to expect on the other one. Jay's right. Listen, if that iPhone ever switches over to Verizon, I loved Verizon. Verizon was a great service. I never had an issue. They try to say that the Android is something that can compare, the Android that you can use for Verizon.
Droid. Yeah. Every company has something good about it. Yeah, I've never played with that Droid, but I hear people say that they love it. I've been due for an upgrade since February, and I keep waiting for iPhone to come over. Yeah, it will. Eventually, I think it'll have to. Let's see. Let's do a little... You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. Dude, You're Dumb is that guy. In fact, now it's getting to a point where it is really becoming a part of Mikey Show culture and One Nation culture. Dude, You're Dumb. Because now people will tell us all the time when we're out. They'll go, dude, I got a great Dude, You're Dumb for you. Always. And all it is is some guy or girl that they encountered somewhere at a store, in a restaurant, whatever, that just did something that drove you crazy. It's that guy.
Well, this is one that I run into all the time, and you guys probably do too in San Diego. It's tough to park here, and I've said that since I moved here. There's very little parking. That's BS. No, it is absolutely not BS. It's like when we drove down to Solana Beach the other day. Granted, there was a festival going on, but there's no parking garages. There's no big structures to park there. What about Encinitas on a Friday night at 8 o'clock at night? What? Dude, it's so crowded. Drive around. You guys want, like, door-to-door service. No, I want a parking lot. Yeah, yeah, the parking lot, like, behind a lot of those places, like, they get full, man. They're packed. Why take a beautiful land with a gigantic parking lot when people can just walk an extra 50 feet? So you can park your car. I live, where I live is 15 miles from Encinitas, so I have to drive. Yeah. In the real world, not in Fantasyland, some people have to drive their car. Downtown. Who's the people that don't have to drive their car in San Diego? Everyone has to drive their car. You live in Encinitas, so you can walk. I can't. Really? I don't live in Encinitas. You did. Yeah, I did. You're just talking about you didn't want to walk a block. I can't walk. Anyway, whatever. It's the guy that, and I may be this guy now because of the parking so bad here. You pull past a spot where you think somebody's backing out.
But you miss it. So then you're the guy that tries to slam it reverse and get back and get your spot. We've all attempted that move. You can't. And you're like, I'm the worst person. I'm the worst person. You're sorry. Sorry. I'm backing up. I need it, though. I need it. You're like, and you're thinking the person behind you, you're like, please be cool. Please be cool. Understand. Will you understand? I'll understand for you if I ever see you again in my life. I'll understand. I'll remember your face. You know what I've been looking forward to like my entire life, speaking of parking, is the expectant mother's parking spot right on front? Yeah. Do they really? I've seen them, but now that I'm an expectant mother and I actually show enough to where people wouldn't question it, I can't find the spots anywhere. I've always seen them at Baby's RS. No, I've seen them at, they were at UTC Mall, I remember. Genius. They're always right in front at fairs and stuff. Oh, that's good. Looks great. You got a belly like me and Woods, you can get away with it. We get out of the car, we're like, hey, how you doing? They're on a wig. I have a bigger belly than Tina.
No, you don't. And then the other one I have is Remote Guy. The guy that has, and my dad used to be this guy. You have six remotes. You walk in. I walk into Mikey's house or my dad's house or whatever, and I'm like, I'd like to watch a movie. He's like, yeah, I don't know how any of these things work. They just sit there. There's six of them, and you're like, one's for the TV, one's for the sound system, one's for the DVD player, one's for the whatever. Oh, the cable. The cable box has its own. The TV has its own. One's for the stereo. It's the biggest beating. You can't just go in, turn the TV on, watch a movie anymore. It drives you crazy. What about the guy that has multiple cell phones? I saw a guy with three cell phones the other day. I'm not even kidding. And they were all strapped on him. Why? I don't know. I know. I mean, for one point, I had. a sidekick when those were cool, and a regular cell phone just because I wanted a sidekick so bad. Yeah, you used to have two, one for work, one for personal. Jamie has two. I don't know why three. Really? No, I saw a guy with three, but, I mean, really, why do you even need two? Well, LLB, can I ask you what? I don't understand. Why would you have a problem with your buddy calling you on the same phone that your business might call you on? Because my work issued me a cell phone for clients.
And I don't want my, the people that I worked, you know, I had like, you know, over 400 clients that I managed. I didn't want them all calling me on my personal phone. Yeah, seriously. But aren't you picking up the phone either way? No, it goes off after, after my business hours, that phone was off. Yeah. Yeah. Can't dirty text on a business. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Plus you might make. the business mad if you're making personal calls. And sending a million texts and stuff. I've had that too. But do they really need to be out on display? I see people too, like, look at me, I'm a big deal. I got two cell phones. That's a freaking DYD right there, dude. What do you got, a six-shooter in there? What do you need a holster for, pal? What are you, Doc Holliday? Maybe put it in your pocket. Put your six-shooter away. White Earp. That's fantastic. I like my phone on my hip. Do you? I do. Jay Bird. He's also 46. He doesn't know anymore. Does Jay Bird wear it on his belt? Keep our phones on our hips. I was sitting next to him on the couch yesterday, and your phone kept going off. I think it was yesterday. And my hip is just vibrating. I'm like, Jay.
Take it off the night. It was just me, baby. I'll see you in the OK Corral in about five minutes, pal. We're going to have a showdown. Quick draw. We got M1 Sean Cho and we got M1 Jay Hammy. Keep them on the line. Let's talk to them because they got dude your dumbs. We'll hit them when we come back. And also, got some other cool stuff. Eskimo Blue Water's walking around. Want to talk to her? Tuesday Tudor's still to come. You hear about the racist greeting card? No. We'll do the racist greeting card next because... Who gave that to you? The racist greeting card? It's a greeting card that came out for graduation. I did, actually. People are saying that it's racist. You be the judge. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Good morning to you. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Tuesday morning being brought to you today by Guayaki Yerba Mate. And Guayaki Yerba Mate is teaming up with Jimbo's Naturally Local Markets to give you a chance to win one of two custom-built rusty surfboards. This promotion is going to end this week, though, so you must get... Signed up and ready to win by this Friday. So stop by any of your Jimbo's locations to do so. While you're there, pick up some Guayati. Surf-wise today, it has picked up as well. A little bit of a west-northwest wind-swell ground-swell mix has stepped it up a bit, along with some southwest holding steady, even as waves in the waist-to-chest high zone on average. So pluses on top of that, maybe occasional shoulder-high waves with those stand-out spots. Dealing with overcast skies, once again, light south winds, putting a slight bump on the more open areas, otherwise looking fairly clean. Higher tide this morning is slowing things down at the reef breaks, but beaches look better from this crossed-up swell combo anyways. Water temp hanging in that about 62, 63, 4-degree range, so not all that bad. For up-to-the-minute surf reports forecast, go to surfline.com for everything you need in order to go surf. Check out one of South Coast Surf Shops, five locations, or go online at southcoast.com. This surf report, again, is being brought to you by Guayaquil or Mamate. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. All right, so, welcome back to the Mikey Show. James Cameron, he went down Little Submarines, and so he knows about Little Submarines. wants to talk about BP, what he thinks about BP. So we'll hit it up in a little bit. And then I'm also going to get to the racist greeting card thing here in just a minute. First, M1J Hammy from PB. You there? Yeah, I'm here. What's your dude? You're dumb. That guy, everyone has come in contact with him if they've driven on the freeways of San Diego. It's the guy that's driving 45 miles an hour in the fast lane with the Mexican license plate.
It's a lot of fun. Mike Esparza? No. No, it's... I drive in the slow lane going 45 miles an hour. What does he mean the Mexican license plate? Like from Mexico. From Mexico. California or like the Mexico with all the weird numbers and letters. Just no license plate. Yeah? Yeah. Or Arizona. That's true too. God. They're all over my head right now. When people are not from San Diego, they don't realize it. People drive faster here. Oh, yeah. When I first moved here, it was like... They do? Dude, they drive way faster in Texas. Do they really? Yes. To me, I'm like, really? I feel like an idiot. I drive 105 everywhere I go. Lanes seem close together to me, too. Highlands are so big here. All right, so... What? Really? I'm going to play you this story from Los Angeles about this greeting card. Graduation greeting card. And then you get to be the judge. A graduation card sold at local stores has been pulled from shelves after a civil rights group raised concerns about the content. The group claims the card's micro-speaker plays a greeting that's racist. And that's what it's news reporter Miriam Hernandez explains why this card has come under attack. It is a graduation greeting from Hallmark.
Members of the Los Angeles NAACP did take notice. And as characters known as Hoots and Yo-Yo banter on, African-American leaders hear demeaning language. Hey, you black holes. That was very demeaning to African-American women. Wait a minute. Black holes? Black holes? Hey, you black holes. In the universe? Yes. And the inside of the card shows a chalkboard with the planets drawn on it. And the whole concept of the card is... Now that you're a graduate, you'll control the universe. Black holes is offensive to black women. They feel that it says black whores. Black holes. Keep listening. But it made reference to African-American women as whores. And at the end, it says, watch your back. Hallmark says it is all a misunderstanding. The card's theme is the solar system and the power of the grad to take over the universe.
Energy absorbing black holes. The intent here is to say this graduate is not afraid of anything. But that is not what was heard here. What? But Minnie Hatley says the actual audio raises questions. It sounds like a group of children laughing and joking about blackness again. Really? They find all its doors to pull the card. Walgreen and CVS are doing the same. The cardmaker says the card has been out for three years. This is the first time they've received a complaint. The card's been out three years. In any situation where there is a circumstance that we need to be sensitive to, we try to learn from that experience. The NAACP says their message is clear. And we do not want to see this ever. Ever again. You're kidding me right now. Can we hear it again? Black holes? Sure. You're kidding me. Card has come under attack. It is a graduation greeting from Hallmark. Hey, world. Hey, world. We're officially putting you on notice. Right. Members of the Los Angeles NAACP did take notice. And as characters known as Hoots and Yo-Yo banter on, African-American leaders hear demeaning language. Hey, you black holes.
You're so honest. Oh, man. No way. And you plan it. And you plan it. Here's what it should say. Hey, you darkly colored round things. That suck gravity. Golf balls can go in. Golf balls can go into. I don't think they don't have a problem with the word black holes. They're saying that he actually says. Black horse. No, I know. I know. But don't say black, I guess. No, it's not that. It's that they think. But just to be careful. Did it sound like it to you guys? No. Not at all. Before we even knew what they were claiming. Yeah. We were all like, oh, black holes. None of us knew that there was a solar system on the chalkboard. So, I mean. Have you guys gotten these cards before? I've bought. They're funny. They're like little cartoon guys. They're cute. No, but I've never heard of them. I used to send them as e-cards before they cost money. Yeah. But the thought of it being black whores. Hey, you black whores.
I mean, come on. You think someone's going to do that? That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. And what I think it does is it works against the cause. Yes, it does. It works against the cause. I agree. But, eh, anyway, it's all over the news today. If it said black whores, I'd be all about pulling it off the shelf. Absolutely. Yeah, I'd be furious. Yeah, who wouldn't be against that? Watch it back. That's crazy. And there was like all kinds of dialogue in between. I know. But of course, it's like the subtext is watch your back. Watch your back. Right. Yeah. It says, hey, you planets or what all. Yeah. Hey, you planets, watch your back. Yeah. Wow. It is what it is. It is what it is. Classic audio. Let's see. Tuesday Tudors is not about tooting. It's about. It's about. Questions that your kids between kindergarten and eighth grade get for homework. And the bottom line is, is that we, for the most part, we don't know anything as adults. No. I feel like a moron. We don't. We haven't retained anything. Except the most basic of knowledge. Right. Extremely basic knowledge. Who's the first president of the United States? George Washington. What is two plus two? Four.
I got to think about that, but five, right? My fingers can get there. If I have enough fingers, I can figure it out. Do you guys still use your fingers? Yes. Me too. I do. I do. I did it the other day with you somewhere. I was like... Oh, well, yeah, I count off, but I don't... You don't put your fingers, like, count them, seven, eight, nine, and put your fingers up? You don't do that? When you're adding... I go, like, if I'm trying to count months, I have a hard time with that, so I have to go January. But not with numbers? No. That's so cool. I wish that I, I think I'm dyslexic with numbers. Could be. They get, they're backwards for me and I can't, you know, I have a hard time with numbers. Good thing we work at 94.9. Yeah. It's a palindrome. It's a palindrome for you. Yeah. How about that? Smart people. Race car is a palindrome too. You guys ready for some questions? Yep. And here's how we're going to do it. I got my, and I got my. Okay. So we will use our. Names as buzzers. How many questions do we have? Five. I'm going to give you guys five. Okay. Make it quicker today. All right. What is found on a political map? What is found on a political map? Yes. State lines, country lines, borders. That is correct. That is correct. Very good. Yeah. That's good. I should have just gone for it because I didn't think. The boundaries of states and countries. Okay. Okay. Wow.
Okay. Woods, you may get this one. I doubt it. What literary device is being used in this phrase? Moon sweeping night's gray gloom with her silver broom. What? Onomatopoeia. Wrong. Lauren. What? Metaphor. Wrong. Mike? Vowels. Say it again. Say it again. Say it again. What literary device is being used in this phrase? Again, this is under eighth grade. Moon sweeping night's gray gloom with her silver broom. What is it? Personification. Oh, okay. It's when you give an inanimate object human features. Oh, gosh. I'm learning right now. I know, me too. In which time of home did the Iroquois most often live? In which time of home? In which type? In which type of home did the Iroquois most often live? Woods. Adobe. Wrong. Oh. Mikey. What? Teepee. No. Any guesses? Woods. Mudhut. No. Mikey. What? Shane Holmes. No. Caves. Nope. Nothing else? And unless your name is Caves, buddy. Yeah.
Yeah, is your name Caves? Chime in. What is it? Gotta say J. Fine. Longhouse. Wow. I was right on the tip of my tongue. You almost had it. Yeah. I was right about to say Longhouse. I was going to say Shorthouse and then I would have been wrong. Yeah. Okay. Jeez. This is Children Gets This Question. Yeah. These ones I've given you are under fourth grade. Oh my gosh. Which of the following is not a possible sign of a chemical change? A, a change in state. B, a change in color. C, the release of a gas. Or D, the release of energy. Mikey. What? D, the release of energy. Incorrect. Lauren. B, a change in color. Incorrect. Woods. C. Incorrect. Which of the following is not a possible sign of a chemical change? The answer is A, a change in state. I hate myself. Oh, if it goes from a liquid to a gas or a solid to a liquid. Okay, guys. I'm going to give you a math one. This is the last question. It's not very hard. I think you guys will get this.
What is 1,285? Oh, we get to write? Everyone's writing. Just write that number. What is 1,285 rounded to the nearest hundred? Mikey. Lauren. Mikey. 1,300. There you go. Very good, Mike. I thought I'd end on a positive note. Very good. Dude, those suck. It's like my heart races for that game. Big old dummy. I know. Did we have a winner in that? No. LLB, maybe. But would we... I got two right. No. Would we have... How many did we get right collectively? I would have gotten... I would have gotten that one right. Mm-hmm. And I think I would... We missed the chemical reaction one. I missed all of them. And the hut. So we got three out of five. Three out of five is passing. Yeah, we passed. Maybe. Nice. Like 65%. Yeah, three out of five. It's a 60. It's a 60. That's a D. We didn't pass. Kid got plenty of Ds. No, it's an F. It's an F. Under 65. We failed. Woodsy, can you go get Eskimo Blue Waters? Eskimo Blue Waters out in the hallway. She is a aspiring... She's a performer. She pushed me into the door. Where did you get those chaps? Where didn't you get those chaps?
Oh, my gosh. I haven't seen chaps on a girl I don't think ever. That's because they're homemade. Assless chaps. Assless chaps. You're wearing jeans. I added, you know. Is that prosthetic? No. What do you mean? Eskimo Blue Water's local musician and extraordinaire. Okay. She's a self-proclaimed extraordinaire. How about ordinaire? How about shut up your ordinary face? Wow, Eskimo. Sorry. A little feisty today. Sorry, I've had a bad day. She's got a, she's got, hey. Hey, maybe you should make that into a new song, because I had a good day. Yeah. It's good. What? Well. I said I had a bad day. I say that because Eskimo comes in, she sings songs, and she does gigs around town. She did Benihana a few months ago. Snow cone stand. She did the grocery baggers union party. Actually, I never got the bid on that one. You didn't get in. You never got it. Even though I was offering it for free. Escondido snow cone stand. You can see her there. Kit Carson Park with a bunch of seven-year-old Rastafarians. No, actually, Brandon was grounded, so we didn't do that case. Never did get to play that one. Birthday party. Hey, you brought your case with you again, though. That's cool. I did.
I did, yeah. Last time Eskimo was in here, Eskimo always wears dark glasses. Blonde hair wears that cowboy hat. Really, the rocker look. A lot of jewelry. A lot of jewelry, layered necklaces. She-Bret Michaels. Yes, she-Bret Michaels. I don't want to be compared to that has-been. Really? He's done pretty well for himself. Well, you know what? Maybe he should stay home. Maybe he should. Maybe he should give me a chance. She sings a lot of what she calls original work, but it sounds like other people's work. Oh, really, Mike? Well, Eskimo and Fairness. What do they say about a great song? They say that it's always got its roots in another song. And that when you hear it, it sounds like you've heard it before. Sounds like you've heard it before. Yeah, in fact, we were even saying that this morning with that song from Phoenix. Yes, Listomania. They got a new song called Listomania. Listen, this is Listomania. And I said, wow, that sounds an awful lot like U2's Wire. See? Yep. Yeah. Happens a lot. Yeah, and so I guess that plays into, you know, Eskimo's point of, hey, every song does sound pretty, although instead of Umbrella, she's saying Rain Slicka. Slicka. We all gather our inspiration from somewhere, right? Yeah. Sometimes you don't even know where it comes from. That's true. She's so talented, though. Thank you. She doesn't just do, she's not just a singer. No.
Last week she showed us that she has a dummy, you know. That's correct. The ventriloquist. That's actually the correct nomenclature. Yeah, that's correct nomenclature. She has it in the box, right? That's what's in the box? Yeah. What's the name? Charlie. What is it, Charlie? Peanut. Peanut. That's right. Peanut. Peanut is your dummy. Yep. And so you're a ventriloquist. Have you worked on your craft in the last week? I have been owning it. Yeah, because you moved your mouth completely last time you did it. That's not true. Not true. Not true, you say. No. Okay. Yeah, but I'm pretty big time now because I've been working with an agent, Allison, about some material. Who's Allison? I met her on Craigslist. She was selling her goldfish. She's only 12, but she's kind of a... She's your agent. She's an agent. She's a baller. She's a baller. Yeah, a kickballer. That's what she is. No, she comes from money. Is it hot in here? It's not hot in here. Anyway, Allison's idea was for me to go on Britain's Got Talent. Oh, wow. Really? Yeah. Not a bad idea. Season's already started, but hey, you know what? Ending soon? Maybe always next year. Yeah. Well, I'm working it out, but what do you mean? Well, it's in Britain, number one, right? So it's not here in America. And then number two, it's already on. But it's for British.
People to go on. People to go on, sure. Yeah, it is. Yeah. Yeah. But you don't live in Britain. But no, you yodel head. I'm not talking about me. I'm talking about Peanut. Is Peanut British? Yeah. Peanut's legs are made from Ringo Starr's drumsticks. Oh, nice. Really? Yeah. Yeah. Well, not his. He didn't own these, but he used this brass. Oh. So Peanut's British. He used the same brand as Ringo Starr. Okay. Got it. So his legs. Her legs. You can't tell by her. Look at the hair I drew on you. You glued some on there, too. I did. Actually, I ran out of glue, so these are staples. It's the most ghetto-looking doll. Well, it's a prototype. Right, it's a prototype. So you're working on, eventually, I'm sure, Peanut will look professional. Well, you get a sponsor or two, and they'll take care of you. Well, the thing is, ventriloquists are like a dime a dozen in the States. So we're trying to get big in the UK, maybe in Japan. Why not, right? Why not? To be honest with you, haven't seen a ventriloquist in 25 years. You're not looking at the right places. I guess not. I see him. I'm out in the trenches. Yeah. Taking grenades. Going to bars. Yeah.
Performing all over the county, really. Jeff Dunham. Hey, what about Jeff Dunham is a very well-known ventriloquist. I don't know who that is. I don't know who that is. But anyway, like I said, Peanut's British. Isn't that right, Peanut? Yeah, that's right. I like to eat brisket and drink tea. What? Look at my bloody trousers. Peanut. It's kind of foul language, Peanut. Eskimo, your mouth is completely moving. That's Peanut's mouth. Your mouth moves more when you're talking about Peanut than you do when you're talking normally. That's not possible. Your mouth is barely moving now, but when you do Peanut, your mouth opens up wide. Watch this. I like penguins! I do too!
I'm British! Have you had a penguin before, Peanut? I've had everything! They are the best cookies out there. Why does he sound Southern? Yeah, that's not... Is it Southern Britain? First of all... First of all... Eskimo, that's not a British accent, man. It's not even a British accent. It's not. First of all, it's a she. Oh, she. That's British. Yeah? Yeah. Is it? But anyway... Peanut's in a bad mood, geez, because her boyfriend, Sloppy Joe, just made her mad. Isn't that right, Peanut? That's right, Eskimo! He started using again! Eskimo! Eskimo! Eskimo! Eskimo! Eskimo! Yes. Hang on. Peanut just said that her boyfriend, Sloppy Joe, Sloppy Joe, Sloppy Joe, You can't say he started using again. Oh, really? That's not really funny. You've been writing my material now, Mike? No, I'm not writing it. I'm just saying that's a little... Well, Peanut's not just a little puppet in your game here. She talks about real issues. Real stuff. Peanut, by definition, is a puppet in my little game here. I mean, isn't she? Really? Oh, yeah. I mean, isn't she? Oh.
Her boyfriend is Sloppy Joe. Well, what? Is she a clown now? You want to turn her into a joke? No, I don't. I don't. I want to give her the respect that she deserves. Okay, well, I'm going to try and plug a gig before I storm out of here. Before we storm out of here. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Before you put her back in. By the way, her. I'm over this crap. Sounds like oil. Oh, my gosh. Sounds like oil. It's one of the Beatles. Gosh, now you're getting Peanut all riled up. I'm going to put her back. Yeah, well, Peanut doesn't really have a case. She puts her in her guitar case, which is really... Well, she fits fine if I just smash her head in a little bit. Be careful with her. She's going to be on TV soon. Well, hey, are you really going to go through this? Are you going to go to Britain? Yeah, I'm going to Britain. Look, you guys make a joke out of this. Last week, I made $27 at the Rock and Roll Marathon doing this act. You did. You got to work the Rock and Roll Marathon. That's pretty cool. How did you do it, though? What was the deal? I just sat down at, like, mile 12. And just did your bit on the side of the road? Yeah. Hey, runners! Here I come! Like that? Yes.
Probably got him running extra fast. Better than that, though, probably. Mile 12? Way better. You just sat there, mile 12, and people, what did they do? Throw money in? Yeah, because I was also giving out power bars. You were selling power bars. I ended up a little bit in the hole on that one, but I had $27 in my pocket when I left. There you go. Good job. She loses money at gigs. She's really good to get out there. I'm impressed. I'm proud of you. She's working it. So before I storm out of here for good, can I just plug one more gig? Please. Peanut and I are going to be at the Pilates room at 24-hour fitness this Sunday morning, 3 a.m. 3 a.m. Hey, it's hard to get that room, so seriously, you guys better be there. It's 24-hour fitness. Good luck with that. So they're opening, I guess, on a Sunday morning at 3. Yeah, 24 hours, mate. Yeah, I got that part. Bye, Peanut. Bye, Peanut. Good to see you. Oh, wow. Out in the woods. What? How you doing there, buddy? You okay? Well, Jay has... We're all chomping. Jay has... He has very eclectic taste. It's true. So if you've ever seen a White House press conference, then you've seen or heard Helen Thomas. You probably didn't even know it. Helen Thomas is... Hot? 70s? No, not hot. Maybe older. But she was responding to a question yesterday. 89. Oh, wow. 89? Yeah. She was responding to a question yesterday. Moving on. Wow. We did high school together. It was Larry King's first one. That's right. King Tut's mistress. Kevin Hepburn's grandmother. That's right. She helped build the ark. Yeah.
Well, she was asked a question about what's going on between Palestine and Israel. Her comments made her have to resign. Here's what she said. Any comments on Israel? We're asking everybody today. Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine. Ooh. Any better comments? Remember, these people are occupied. And it's their land. It's not German. It's not Poland. So where should they go? What should they do? They go home. Where's the home? Poland. Germany. Do you think Jews go back to Poland and Germany? And America and everywhere else. So the nation of Israel should go back to Poland and Germany, is her comment. This obviously didn't sit very well with a lot of people. Mostly Jews. Well, exclusively Jews. And anybody that can see an injustice being said about the Jews.
Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary. What do you think about that? I think those remarks were offensive and reprehensible. I think she should and has apologized because obviously those remarks do not reflect certainly the opinion of, I assume, most of the people in here and certainly not of the administration. Israel is a nation of Jews. Yes. And so those were some pretty off-the-cuff remarks. Somebody probably pulled Helen over and said, you know what, Helen? 89 years, it's a good run. You don't really want to work here anymore, do you? Maybe it's time, yeah. That was the old bit we used to get at one of my companies. We would say what? You don't really want to work here anymore, do you? How are you even going to respond? You're like, well, guess not. See you later. Well, I did want to right up until this moment. Yeah. That's what happened to me at my job.
Tulsa, Oklahoma. Yeah, right. Hoyle. It's the truth. I took that station all the way to number one. How many books? Three books in a row. Very good. Did it three books in a row before they came to me. How'd they fire you? Called me into the office and tried to shoot me in the face. Why would they do that? I know you're lying. I had on a welder's mask. Sounds like a radio bit. It wasn't a radio bit. I knew they wanted to kill me. They tried to shoot you with a paint gun? Yeah, a paint gun. Paintball gun? Yeah, by paintball gun, you mean Smith & Wesson .45. Smith & Wesson. This is the South we're talking about, so it's different. It is different in the South. Believe me. I know it. Your parents have a go-to embarrassing story about you that they will bring up? Really? Yeah. Okay, so Sienna, yes. Woodsy, yes. Lauren? I don't think so. No go-to embarrassing story? I thought all parents had them. Other mom doesn't have one? They've got plenty of them. I don't think they have a go-to. No.
Not one that they repeat over and over again. I have an aunt who every time I see her, every few years, will tell me the same story about how she used to, when we would come and visit, get me three Musketeer bars. Out of the freezer? Put them in the freezer. And I loved them. And I'm like, well, and in my mind, I'm like, first of all, I know I was there. Second of all, you tell me this every time. Three musketeer bars are good. I'll see her and I'll be like, and she'll go, hey. And I'll go, three musketeers. Yeah. Did you know that when you were five. I guarantee she said to Rebecca, you know, Rebecca, what makes Mike really happy? You should do this. Frozen. Put some three musketeer bars. Keeping them in the freezer. Those are good. Messing. What's your go-to embarrassing story? Mine is kind of more embarrassing. I get a nickname from it. What is it? I don't know if I want to even say it, but I'm going to. Too late. Because I love you guys. It's too late to apologize. When I was a little girl and I wore diapers, I didn't like to go number two around anyone. What do you mean?
I didn't like, I mean, even from a young age, my parents said that whenever I had to go number two, as long as I could crawl, I would go away from them and hide to do it. You wanted privacy. I wanted privacy. Still do. Yeah. Still wanted privacy. And so everyone would be like, where's Sienna? Where's Sienna? Well, I know where Sienna is. And they would know. That's funny. So what'd they call you? Yeah, yeah. What'd they call you? This is never going to go away if I say it. I got it. No, of course not. Sir Poops Alone? No. Madam Poops Alone. My parents still call me it. Was it like a dances with wolves name like Poops in the Closet? Like an Indian name? No, it's like a basic name. What is it? Pooper. Pooper? Pooper. Like on birthday cards, like Pooper. Happy birthday. Stuff like that. Love mom. Love mom, yes. What age? Two? And then it ran up until... As long as I was in diapers, it galloped, yeah, all the way until I got out of them and I could go in the bathroom by myself. Holy cow. So you don't have memories of being called Pooper? Well, they still call me it, but I don't... They still do? Yes. Oh, my gosh. That's what I'm saying. It's still to this day. They sign birthday cards. Pooper. Pooper. Isn't that mean? So, I mean, when they say, hey, Pooper.
You know, like they have to explain it to everyone. That is crazy. Yeah. Pooper. So I wanted a little privacy, all right? Don't anybody Photoshop a picture of Sienna with a t-shirt on that says Pooper. Hey, Pooper. Hiding in the corner. In diapers. In diapers. This is horrible. Woodsy? Mine are pretty lame. Oh, and call us, by the way. 5701-949. If you have. The embarrassing story that your parents tell about you that's go to the thing. It never goes away. You got a nickname. You know, one of the ones in my family, there's a couple. My uncle took me to a Kiss concert, but it wasn't really Kiss. It was the high school talent show. And I thought it was Kiss. I was so upset it was Kiss. I was three years old. How old? You were three? And I loved, or three or four. You remember? Oh, yeah. Well, here's the deal. I loved Kiss. Kiss was my thing when I was a little kid. My uncle and I used to listen to Kiss records all the time. He goes, hey, I'm taking you to see Kiss tonight. Yeah, took me to the high school, convinced me that it was Kiss. The guy that dressed up as Gene Simmons actually did the whole bit where he blew the fire and all that. Yeah, I pooped my pants. Oh, my gosh. Because I was scared. Are you kidding? Yeah. Woodsy. Standard, classic family story. This explains so much. At three years old, you were into Kiss.
Oh, my gosh. Three, four years old, yeah. He liked it so much, he pooped. Yeah, and I pooped my pants. Scared you, right? Because I was so scared, yeah. When the fire went off. Yeah, when he went. That was a thing. You did that in high school? Yeah, that was a scene. FD high school. That was a thing. My brother Steve, who you guys know, Steve-O, he did that. He was Gene Simmons. Yep. And they would put on shows in our backyard with a built stage, lights, the whole deal. Full makeup, made the outfits, and they would charge kids to come in. That is ridiculous. And they would do Kiss. And they would blow fire in the most dangerous, god-awful ways. Oh, my God. Oh, awful stuff. Rubbing alcohol in your mouth. Yeah. Yeah. My mom and dad would look out the back window and be like, oh, they're doing a Kiss concert. Anyway. So is that your parents' story that they tell or your uncles? You know, it's just kind of one of the family stories. There's another one of my grandfather walked out and I was kneeling on his Ford Pinto. Yeah. On my knees with a hammer, beating holes into the car. Oh, my gosh. And my papa walked out. God rest his soul. He walked out and he goes, boy, what are you doing? I said, I'm fixing your car, papa. I thought you fixed everything with a hammer. So I was beating holes. Oh, my gosh, dude. How do you not kill you? And how old were you? I was four or five. I've heard this story. You didn't get punished, right? No, I didn't get punished, dude.
Oh, my gosh. My brother, there's some legends that my dad, my dad has more about my brother. My mom's not a big storyteller. So it's usually about my brother. My brother got drilled in the head playing baseball. And he knocked him out cold. And so they run up to him. We run down from the stands. We're like, he's not moving. So my dad's like, Brent, Brent, are you okay? And my brother looks around and the umpire goes, son, do you know what day it is? And he goes. It's today. What do you think? And my dad goes, I think he's fine. It's today. What do you think? It's today. What do you think? I've told this before, but some people haven't heard it. My mother-in-law, when she was a kid, Jean, Mama Jean. Mama Jean. When she was a kid, she was playing out in the front yard, and her dad had just got a brand new Oldsmobile. Beautiful car. Just drove it home. Gorgeous car. Shiny paint. Cutlass. I believe so. Huge. And little Mama Jean decided that she wanted to use some chalk on the chalkboard. The only problem was is that it wasn't a chalkboard. It was his new Oldsmobile, and it wasn't chalk. It was the white rocks that they used to landscape the front yard. Oh, man. They didn't have grass. They had those white rocks. Oh, no. So she took a white rock as a piece of chalk, and she was writing.
Well, when you're that age, you just scribble. So she was scribbling all over the brand new car. What did he do? He did the same thing that Pop Pop did. You know, he knew that it was a little kid. He couldn't do anything. He had to go get a new pigeon. Yeah, what do you do? It's a kid. Cry and yell. Yeah, you get bummed. But you can't. I mean, it's a kid. My Pop Pop laughed. He was my best pal. He was on there. You were on there just banging away with a hammer. With a hammer. Bam, bam, bam. And they're like, what the hell's going on outside? There's the kid. Oh, my gosh. Up there being a clown. M1, Mark is from Point Loma. Are you there, Mark? Yeah, it's Mac, actually. Mac? Yes. What's up, Mac? When I was about six or seven, I was watching The Omen 2 with my dad, and the one character's name was Mark. And one of the guys had a British accent, so he pronounced it Mock. And a few minutes later in the movie, I turned to my dad and I said, Dad, what's wrong with Mac? And, you know, 12 or 13 years later, he brings it up every time I bring a new girl home or a friend over. All he brings up is the fact that you mispronounced the name? It was the most embarrassing thing for him, I guess. He thought it was the most embarrassing thing for me. But, I mean, 12 years later, he still gets a hoot out of it. You're like, yeah, Dad. Great story. Shut your mouth. Imagine your dad remembering a mispronunciation. If my dad remembered every mispronunciation that I'd done.
Yeah. He'd have endless stories. Yeah. That's all I do. That's pretty funny. I've never had one. Really? Sure. Thank you, Mac. No problem. Thank you. Appreciate it. M1 Polly is calling from San Marcos. You there, Polly? Yep, yep. What was your nickname? Why? It's a huge nickname. Well, it's kind of a running thing, and it's like I get it at all kinds of family dinners now. But as a kid, my parents used to put me in the crib, like a wooden crib, and there's a mattress under it, and they used to, like, go out for an hour. They'd come home, and it'd be really hot. They'd always find me in the same position. I'd have taken all my clothes off and actually moved the mattress, so I'm just lying down flat on the wooden board. And there was this hole in the wooden board, and I would always end up lying down, chest down, stomach down, with my ace in that hole. Oh, my God. Dude. That is hilarious. Ace in the hole, butt naked. That is genius. I think I get it.
I get it. You get it? And I love it. That's phenomenal, Polly. And I love it. I'm going to put one of those in my bed. There you go. Thank you, everyone, Polly. Ace in the hole. Ace in the hole is genius. It's ridiculous. Maybe that's something you can say to Jamie after lovemaking. Ace in the hole. Once he just looked at me like, really? You're going to let her get away with that? Really? Why not? It's good stuff. These are the jokes, guys. Oh, my God. Don't forget to tip your waitress. It's a two-drink minimum of me tonight. Holy cow. That's a pretty funny one, Scandinavian. Oh, Neil. What do you know about funny? Tell you what I know about funny. I used to date the great Rita Rudnick. Literally the worst comedian ever. No. 100%. Yeah, by worst, you mean the greatest yes. Okay. Then I don't just mean her comedy. What do you mean? Scandalous. You know exactly what I mean. I'm Neil in the hole. Thank you. Yes. It doesn't even make sense. I'm here for a reason, you bunch of clowns. What is it? The only reason I call you clown is because you all have makeup on right now. A little flower that shoots water.
Big red floppy shoes y'all came pouring out of a Shriner car. Bunch of morons. Somebody's very gripey today. I know. What's the matter, Neil? Somebody can't find their Metamucil. A little backed up, pal? That was gross. Well, listen, I went to the CVS this morning. The CVS? Isn't that what it's called? The CVS? The CVS. Went to the CVS. I rang the doorbell. Nobody was home. You don't need to ring a doorbell. I went to the drive-thru part. I don't open until 9, I think. Well, the problem was it was a Mexican taqueria. They don't open until 7. I thought it was at the CVS. But I'm here to talk about the oil spill. Oh, yeah, it's a heavy subject. Last time I saw an oil slick like this, Mikey still had hair. You get it? Because he's greasy hair. Mikey. Doesn't have hair anymore. Doesn't have any anymore. Only thing worse than a gulf full of oil is three drunk redheads in Reno, and I'm all out of roofies. Neil, you can't just say things like that. I don't have any Metamucil. That's why I'm saying it. It's grouchy. I'm grouchy. Let that one slide. I'm a little backed up. Groucho Marx. Not a lot of people know it, but old Uncle Neil used to work on a fishing boat. Did you know that? Really? So did Jay.
By fishing boat, I mean Red Lobster. I used to work at Red Lobster. What did you do there? I sold fish. What else did you do there? I don't know. You think I hunted quail? What do you mean? Hostess, maybe? Cook? Hostess, right. How about I sing you a song? Let's do it. What do you think if I sang you a song? Love it. I wrote a song about those big fat oafs over there, BP. Nice. I'd like to perform it for you now. I'm in. I brought my Casio. That's what I'm playing. Sounds good. Oil on the rocks. Wow. Really burns my eyes. Those guys at BP are some terrible guys. This is a very good word. Big fat buffoons, these rich oil tycoons, I despise. Amen, brother. Yeah, sing it. Sing it with some soul. Don't mean to whine. Don't you? Sound like a wimp.
It's gonna cost more for a pound of some shrimp. Remember egg song? Don't want my cod tasting vile. First they said they fixed it. Try all their stupid snitch. Suddenly the sharks and fishies are looking all deformed. Next they called Obama. Why don't they call your mama? I cannot stay. I wonder if someday I'll slay. No. This is really wrong. Okay. Oil pinheads. Is that diesel fuel or unleaded instead? Maybe an old dude.
But one thing I know is it ain't cool on the rocks. No, it's not. Hit it. Hit it. All right, I'm going to get up there. Yes, yes, yes. Well, first they say they fixed it. Tried all the stupidest niche. Suddenly the sharks and fishes are looking all deformed. Too soon. Too soon. Next they call Obama. Don't call your mama. Got to go. I cannot stay. I wonder if I'll slay someday. Wow. Probably not. Maybe this isn't really wrong. Why don't you get out of my face? Yeah, Neil. Any of you have any fiber in your pockets? Wow, that is amazing. LLB may have some barley. What about some castor oil? Anything to get the pipes moving? Go have some of Jay's coffee and blast a cig. You'll be right as the mail.

I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. Back to the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Broken belts. High road. I like them. They're good. I think they're good. Today's, what is today? Tuesday? How about that? Snuck up on us. Sure did. June snuck up on us. Yeah, so all that soup out at the beach. Soup? All that gray, gloomy, Juney, gloomy. I like it. If you're inland, I get it because people are like, it's hot, man. Give me a break. I like to sleep when it's gray outside. I've had enough gray.
It's been like a week. No, it's been like a month. No. I like it. I like it too. I like it sometimes, but I'm over it. It's summer. San Diego back, right? Yeah, well, I keep hearing on the East Coast, oh, it's so hot. It's like, man, I want some heat. Do you want that heat? I don't want that heat, but I want it to feel like summer. It's June and I'm wearing a sweater. Oh, you also work in a meat locker. I never understood that. Can I talk to you just for a second, Sienna? Because... If I say this to Woodsy, he'll respond to me. He'll judge you. Woodsy says that, but we have a thermostat in the studio he can control. If I touch it, I get my ass chewed. I was talking to you, Sienna. If I touch it, I get chewed out. So, Sienna, let me ask you. We have a thermostat. How are you doing? I love you. It says 70 degrees in here right now. Yeah. Freezing. It's not freezing. I look. That thing doesn't work. Woodsy tries to blow mist out of his mouth. It's either hot or cold in here. That's all it is. I like it cold. I'm pregnant. That's why I like the gloominess right now because everything feels hot. When she has the baby, we'll be able to, you know. Great. She's also sitting a lot closer to the equipment. Happy birthday, Sienna. Yeah. What does that mean?
It means, guess what? Congratulations. It's not that cold in here. I'm wearing sandals. I'm freezing. My legs are blue. Lauren, you just had your sweater off, first of all. Because I was eating hot salsa. Oh, my goodness. Hey, Woods, why don't you wear some pants? Maybe stay in your little water closet in there, pal. Jay, do you think it's cold? No, it feels nice in there. You should come in my sweat pit. I would gladly take a sweat pit. Maybe make those legs into little pickets and put them in front of a house. It'd be perfect. Perfectville. Those are some white thighs. Shannon Price is Gary Coleman's ex-wife. She just went on Good Morning America because, you know, Gary Coleman died. And the rap is, you watched him die. You didn't do anything about it. In fact, the very first time we talked about it, there were people that were saying, I wonder if she pushed him. There were people that were saying that maybe she pushed him. By people, I mean Woods.
Here is Shannon Price on Good Morning America talking about. Talking to you, Woods. Talking to Steve Woods. People can say whatever they want because I know the truth. Steve Woods can say whatever he wants. People can say whatever they want because I know the truth. I would never hurt my husband ever. I would take my own life before I would ever, ever harm him. Would you? No, she wouldn't. You cared about yourself more on that 911 call. Yeah, I'm really not feeling good. I can't go all the way down there. But I have a fever. I have a cough. I'm not sure. You guys are brutal. Just saying she can't make a claim like that. I'd take my own life before I... She obviously was out for number one. Okay, maybe she was exaggerating a little bit there. Yeah. Can't fault her for looking after herself. So how do you explain your response to the accident then? With him down there the whole time, I was trying to find towels and stuff like that. But yeah, seeing him in a pool of blood was difficult. I mean, you know, if it was somebody else in my situation, I mean, I'm sure they wouldn't know what to do either. She sounds so broken up. Oh, you can't judge her on that. Yeah. Oh, that one gets me. Hello, my baby. Hello, my daughter. Yeah, I was trying to find some towels down the stairs. Really?
No. Everybody has a different response, man. I know. No, you're right. And I have to, you know, it's got to be hard when you see blood and someone that you quote unquote love lying in it. It's hard. It's really hard. All I know is that we all have this preconceived notion of how people are supposed to behave. And if they don't behave that way, then we suddenly start to draw conclusions. You know, people are wired differently. I saw an interview with. Who's the new USC head football coach? Lane Kiffin. Lane Kiffin. Very, very despised guy. And a lot of people don't like Lane Kiffin. I saw him on Real Sports, and he was saying one of the biggest things that he had to learn in his career was he had one of his coaches pull him aside and say, Lane, not everybody thinks the way that you do. And I thought that that was pretty impactful. In fact, I got to think that way sometimes, too, myself. I got to go, hey, listen, they don't all think the way I think. I think a certain way. They don't all think that way. And so even though I may react a certain way, doesn't mean everybody's going to. Yeah. That's what makes this world great, pal. Right? What about taking Gary off light support, life support? And life support. The doctors advised me that, you know, it was grim. And, you know, he went into cardiac arrest as well. And so the doctors advised me that this is the best thing for him.
Oh, you're terrible. Couldn't she have just like maybe hung on a few more days? I mean, it happened so quick. How many days would it make her non-monsterish? Well, maybe get some more doctors in there. Check it out. How about one? Most of the time they do. It's like a lot of times they get three doctors and if three doctors confirm, then you just go. So then why do they say, I guess she has to sign off on it, right? Well, yeah, you have to, but I would think she'd be. You know, when you take someone off life support, I think cardiac arrest wouldn't be necessarily a reason. Wouldn't it be like lack of brain activity or something like that? Well, don't we think that the doctors advised? Yeah, fine. Hey, it's not like she's going to get anything out of it anyway. We talked about that. I mean, the guy's broke, wasn't he? I'll tell you, man. She probably didn't have any ulterior motive. She's probably perfect. I don't know. She may not be perfect. Maybe she's a complete and total monster. But all I know is that, man, we sure are able to. I wouldn't have done it this way. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. I'm going to play out a scenario for you. Rebecca's laying downstairs. And you got the sniffles. You got the sniffles. You're not going to go down the stairs, dude? Hang on a second. That's the thing that made her into a monster. She didn't say that she had the sniffles. I have a fever. It wasn't about the fever either.
Yes, it was. It wasn't. That was part of it. It was about her feeling dizzy and nauseous. It was more than just her not feeling good. She got nauseous. In the beginning, though. From the sight of the blood. In the beginning of the 911 call, she did say that, you know, I don't want to go down there. I have a fever. I can't get up. And it was also the... What if she... Listen, what if the simple truth is I was terrified? Yeah. I saw blood. I was freaked. You know, and I actually... made a bigger deal out of me being sick than I really was, because the truth was, I was just a weenie. I was a weenie. Well, the thing is, you hear 9 out of 10 911 calls with people freaking out, but that doesn't mean that there's not that percentage of people that, their way of reacting. I know when I get, like, eerily calm when, like, I'm supposed to be freaking out, is when I, all of a sudden, I'm like, okay, we have to do this, we have to do this. I'd have to be dying not to come down and help you. I would have to have had my arm chopped off. Yeah, no legs or something. I watch a really good show called 48 Hour Mystery. It is so good, dude. CBS, 48 Hour Mystery. That's right. It's the TV show that usually when people are telling the stories in a narrative form, they generally happen.
Talk like this. Offer some of their suggestions as to what may have happened, even though what really happened could be quite different. Even though she was 42 years old and seemed to be in perfect health, some wondered, was she really? Or was she perhaps being slowly poisoned? Of course. Entire neighborhood wouldn't think so. They had the perfect marriage and all. But then as they started to look just a bit deeper into her husband, they found that, well, it wasn't a perfect marriage at all. It's perfect, dude. It's perfect. It's exactly how they do it. Exactly. And I'm sitting there on the edge of my seat going, oh, my God. How great are those? How great are those? That Keith Morrison? That's him. Keith Morrison. He's the greatest on Dateline. What seemed to be the perfect marriage turned out wasn't the perfect marriage at all. At least, not if you asked his mistress. That's the best. But anyway, so there's this episode, right? This guy, he is married. He's married and then remarries. And his kids love the new wife and, in fact, grow up with the new wife. Okay? And now they're adults.
And he and the wife go somewhere in Aruba to go scuba diving. And while they're scuba diving, she goes off to log coral. That's her thing. She logs all the different beautiful coral that she sees. And his thing is he likes to go off on his own and take pictures of all the beautiful coral. I saw this. And she died. Did you see it, Woodsy? I saw it. She died. One of the biggest. reasons that they were able to convict this guy is because he didn't show much emotion stone-faced and he and he says to them he goes and he's like pretty i don't know i hate to use the word arrogant but he's kind of like do you show a lot of emotion and the guy goes yes i do and he goes great i don't i don't yeah that's me he was stone-faced and of course the human you're going to be like, dude, that's your wife. Like, it's a mother, you know, the stepmother of your kids that they love, and you're going to be upset. But, dude, he was stone-faced. Jamie made me watch it. I don't think he was guilty. I don't think he was either. You didn't? Neither did Rebecca. I don't think he was. But he's in jail. He's in jail for a long time. Wow. Due to his lack of remorse? Yep. And because of things that were circumstantial. For instance, he was cheating on her. Yep.
He was cheating on her. So that makes him guilty of being... Trying to get her out of the picture. Well, it makes him guilty of being a dirtbag that cheated on his wife, but it doesn't necessarily make him guilty of murder. So he was a... Maybe he was a jerk. Maybe he was unfaithful. But was he a murderer? I don't think he... You know, after watching the whole thing, I didn't think he was a murderer. A lot of blanks filled in. Yeah, because of his lack of it. And it's funny. It's like when L.O.B. says, you get really calm. You know? Woodsy's wife gets really calm. Some people, when they're in those situations, not everybody flips out, screams with like a chicken with their head cut off. Some people get really, really calm. Or do they? What seems like calm on the surface could just underneath the surface actually be rage. But what we see is actually quite calm. That is until L.O.B. is pushed to her break. And then a bit of a cyclone comes out. We got M1 Victor from City Heights on the line. What's up, Victor? Hey, what's up? Look, I got some food for thought on the Gary Coleman thing. Okay. So what if they were arguing? He was on his way down the stairs, and she came up pissed off and pushed him. Then he fell down, cracked his head, started believing, stayed up, said, I don't want to get involved in this. And before he could wake up.
out of that coma and say that she pushed him, she unplugged him. But Victor, well, unplugged him. No, no, no. He didn't, yeah. She unplugged him in the hospital when he was on life support. Right, brought in there. Right, that's what he's saying. Yeah. Hey, let's go ahead and get him off life support so he can't talk. Yeah, exactly. Okay. He's going to hide her crime. The only thing is, Victor, is that that first part, man, I mean, that's flat out imagination, you know, to come up with all that. I mean. He was downstairs? Yeah. What did he fall off of, the stairs or on the floor? No, maybe he's got a history of seizures. Yeah. You know, he's got a history of seizures. But during an autopsy, can't you find out if someone died from a seizure or not? No, no, no. It wouldn't be the seizure that killed him. It would be starting to have a seizure and falling down and bonking your head real bad. But would it be proof of the seizure right before that happened or no? That's a good question. Maybe. Well, my aunt actually had a similar condition. She was in...
like years of kidney dialysis and she just got weak, fell and died very shortly thereafter due to complications of the fall. And no doctor just lets you, I don't think he's going to make it. You know, you don't get to tell the doctor that the doctors have to confer and go, look, he's in bad shape. They don't just let you take them off the machines. Right. I don't. Yeah. In other words, if I got into a car accident and I, and I can't speak and I'm unconscious. I don't think Rebecca can go in there and go, you know what, guys? Leave the room. Don't do anything. Don't feed them anymore. Just stop everything. You know, she can't do that. The doctor's got to tend to you. I think it's numerous doctors, too. Yeah. What do you think of this? This is, we got this email, and I was like, oh, this is a home run. A lot of people can relate. Mikey, love listening to you guys every morning. I would really love your advice. Very touchy subject. I'm going to try and tread lightly. My brother-in-law is going through a divorce and has been staying with my husband and I. I love my husband's brother and feel so bad for everything he's going through, but he has been sleeping on our couch for the last two months. First few weeks, I had no problem with him being there, but now it's getting a little out of control. Every night, it's like I'm walking in on guys night. They're drinking beers, watching sports, making a mess in the kitchen. I'm starting to feel like I don't even exist anymore.
I think it's about time he start looking for his own place before I start resenting him. I'm actually thinking about giving him a three-month limit to stay with us. Only one more month left. Do you think the three-month rule is a good idea? That way he knows he has a certain amount of time to find a place. Thanks and look forward to hearing what you guys have to say. That's M1Outsider. My brother Steve stayed with my oldest brother Mark one time and his wife Joanne. He stayed for a couple of months, and the thing that ended his two-month stay was when he asked my brother, and I quote, who the heck ate all the peanut butter? That was the end of the stay. Oh, my gosh. My brother Mark was like, I did. In my house. In my own home. My peanut butter. In my house. Oh, dude. Get out. No way. Oh, yeah.
That peanut butter story, famous story. Who the hell ate all the peanut butter? Amazing. Mark was like. Every time your brother Steve complains and someone say, who ate all the peanut butter? I can't wait to see Steve. Oh, yeah. Who ate all the peanut butter? Yikes. I think you talk about how long this day is going to be before this day starts. Yes. I was just going to say that. Okay. But sometimes you feel bad. You don't want to put a limit on them. They're going through a rough time, you know? Here's the deal. They didn't. What does she do? They didn't do it. Hindsight. Well, now can she give him, it's like a 30-day notice to be like, all right. Listen, I think a 30-day notice is really an awesome thing. And by the way, does anybody disagree with that? Does anybody go, no, family comes first. You got to blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. 570-1949. I'll be nice. I promise. 949mikey at gmail.com is our text. I mean, I think it compounds it by the fact. If he was kind of like, you know, not as. invading on their family time. If it was kind of like, he's staying there and he's keeping to his own, and then obviously, you know, it's his brother, so they're not going to not talk to each other. But the fact that, like, now she's the third wheel, now she's a stranger in her own home, I think it, like, compounds the situation. I can just imagine coming home to the two guys, sitting there on the couch, playing video games or something, going in the kitchen.
Food all over the place. Dishes in the sink. You walk in. Who washes it? Me. You walk in. It smells like garlic. They made food for themselves. Didn't think about me when I was coming home. It smells like boy. It smells like boy. It smells like garlic. It smells like potato chips. Yeah. You're like, really? And then you're like, who the heck ate? You're like, when I left, it smelled like candles. Yeah. Who ate all the peanut butter? Who ate all the peanut butter? Oh, yeah. My brother did. My brother. Really? Well, here's the thing. I think you come up with a stay time. It's going to be three months. And then if he's a good guest, maybe you extend the lease. If he's going through a tough time or if he can't find a place. It seems like her husband, though. may like having his brother there. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? Like, how do you approach that without looking like a bad guy? He doesn't have to play the computer on Xbox anymore. Yeah. He plays his brother. He plays his brother. Hey, you know, my brother could stay with us and Jamie's sister or brother. In fact, I think Jamie's brother may be coming to stay with us for a while. For a while? Yeah. What does that mean? As long as he needs. As long as he needs? Dot, dot, dot? Question mark? No. Really? Dot, dot, dot.
He could stay as long as he wants. Holy cow. If three months go by, you'll still be just fine? He could stay there two years. Yeah, doesn't matter. A, I love him to death. He's like my brother. Don't you like walking around the house nude? Being able to be romantic with your wife and not have to worry about volume? Yeah, we have our own bedroom. Volume? What if it's your wife and you decide maybe not the bedroom tonight? Oh, really? What do we live in, Paris, dude? You've got to be Paris. I'm a married man, dude, okay? What am I, Errol Flynn? Yeah, am I Errol Flynn, dude? I'm a married man. Come here, darling. I want to make love to you. Let's go down to the den. Wouldn't it be nice to at least have the option? Let's go to the library. Let's retire to the library. Kitchen counter. No, I mean, you know what? Family does come first. I mean, but hey, that guy needs to step up and clean up after himself and pitch in. Now, I'll tell you, if and when Ryan comes to stay.
Kids are going to be doing some chores. What if it was Jamie's sister and it was like, oh, okay, now every night I come home and kid's got to figure out his own meal. They're going doing girls nights. They're getting their nails. They're ignoring guys. Their nails did. All of a sudden, you're, like, being ignored. Yeah. You know? Oh, look at Woodsy. Now the story would change. I don't know. No. The thing is... You just said that you couldn't... You were pacing last night because Jamie was doing dinner without you. Yes. You love coming home. You know Jamie's there. Jamie hangs out with you. You do whatever you guys want to do. Now, if her sister's there, she didn't have to spend time with her sister. You know, and I think... I know Jamie well enough to know that that wouldn't happen. I would not... I would not. But if it did, this is what happened to this girl. I would not be neglected. She would not neglect me. But that's what is happening to this girl. So doesn't that put the shoe on the other foot for you to think, well. You know, if Jamie's sister Lauren or Jamie's sister Julie, they wanted to come out and stay with us as long as they need. But what if what happened was what's happening in this email? I'd suck it up. Maybe it's more of a harem. I'm a big boy. If my brother needed a place to stay, he's not staying three months. Really?
Really? I would let my brother stay three months. With twins and a three-year-old and chaos. Dude, that's two more arms. Yeah, it's a babysitter. What if he stayed in the den and kind of kept to himself and pitched in and did what he needed to do? I think that the appropriate... And I'm just going off the top of my head. I think the appropriate... maximum length of stay would probably be two months. I think that's a long time. Eight weeks is a long time. I think three months for some reason would be mine. It's enough for someone to save up for a security deposit. Quarter of a year. Quarter of a year. I could do it, man. We have a really tight family. If my little brother Brent needed a place to stay, Brent could live with us for the rest of our lives. Truly. What if he wanted to play saxophone naked like you did? I don't. Okay, think about this stuff. I'd probably get on his nerves. You haven't thought about this, Woods. You have extra bedrooms. Yes. This girl says the guy's sleeping on the couch. They have a small place. That'd be tougher. That's the living room walking out there. That'd be tougher. That would be tougher. There's no doubt. M1 Melissa. M1 Melissa from San Carlos. Yes. Hi. Hi. Go ahead.
Even if a family member, if they're staying with you, you have to, by law, give them a 30-day notice if they've received one piece of mail to your address. Really? Yeah. Really. I did not know that. So if your family member starts forwarding their mail to your house... What if you don't give them permission to forward their mail? Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Wow. It's considered their legal residence, and you are now their landlord. That same thing happened with my sister. Exactly. I tried to get her to leave, and she wouldn't leave. She wouldn't leave. That's awkward. That's insane. Sometimes maybe they can't get the money together, and they're like, I need to save up more. I need to save more. Just let me stay longer. Yeah, that's great, but you can't just stay. I'm not leaving. Really? You're not? Yeah. You're not, huh? You're just going to camp out? You're just going to camp out for a while?
I stayed on my sister's couch for about a month, and she lived in a small apartment, and it was her and her husband and their roommate, and I could just tell. I'm like, man, I'm going crazy, living out of a bag, stepping on everything. Not your stuff. It's tense. Yeah, so I was tense, and I was tense for them. I could tell, like, all right, they didn't give me the old heave-ho, but everyone was kind of like, all right, so how's the search going? I enjoy the company. I personally, when you came and stayed, I loved it. Yeah, it was great. It was cool. I don't think you liked it. For a weekend. Of course I liked it. I was just scared to death. You were scared to death? Yeah, it's weird. I didn't have a car. I was just kind of sacked up in your office. I loved having you. I just didn't feel like you were comfortable. I felt needy. Oh, dude, I was super comfortable. But I felt needy. I would be like, hey, do you want to go get some food? It was weird. How much fun did we have? We had a frigging blast. I loved it. I felt bad for like Rebecca and the kids and stuff. You're right with kids. What I'm saying in my situation, we have a big house. We purposely rented a big house so that we could have people. And so if somebody needed nine months, if Ryan moved, he wants to move to California. And he's a musician. He's really, really talented. And I have kind of helped, strangely enough, lead him along a path and keep him.
a little bit more focused than he has been. Nine months? If he needed nine months, Ryan could have nine months. We have the room. I love him. He's my brother, and he's really talented, and it'll come back to me in spades. I guarantee you. Didn't you just say the other day that everybody wants to come to San Diego and they all want to stay with you? Yeah, I like that. No, I wasn't complaining at all. Gosh. No, no, no. I'm pretty sure I had a complaint. No, no, no. What I said. is the guys that are like, hey, I'm in town for the week for business. Let's go have dinner. And I'm like, dude, I go to bed at 7. You know, like I don't want to go hang out with you during the week. If you want to come and live and stay, know that I have a schedule that I have to adhere to and have a ball. I mean, but he is going to be pitching in around the house for sure. Wouldn't you be angry when they stayed up past 9 o'clock? No. Listening to TV downstairs? No, it wouldn't bother me, man. We have a big house. Jamie says you get dangerous when she doesn't go to bed at the same time as you do. Oh, that's my wife. I like her with me. I like to cuddle. What if her sister was there and she was down there having girls' nights? Doing wine and sex? They dropped the hammer on that one. Obama gave a speech to some kids at Kalamazoo Central High School. As much as I don't agree with Obama, I'm actually all on board with what he said. I'll play it. You see what you think.

Now, I've got my parents doing it. I have members of my family doing it. I wouldn't do that unless I actually really felt strongly about this company, and I do. I've been in business with AIS for many years, and the reason is because of people just like you that have called them, and they've actually experienced the savings. You can do that. 1-800-777-4AIS. This is FM 94.9. Rick Okasik was married to Paulina Porsikova. Still is. Anybody know who Paulina Porsikova is besides Woodsy? I do. She a model? She was a model. Cute. Very. She was the thing, man. In 1984. He's one of the foulest looking dudes ever. Gosh, that's weird that a famous rock star would get a supermodel. That's weird. That's not good looking. So weird. Yeah. I bet he has a cool personality. And he's freaking talented as all can be. Yeah. He's amazing. So whatever made him talented probably made him interesting. And rich. Just defending ugly guys married to good looking girls. That's all I'm doing.
Why? Well, because I know people like that. Stop it, Mike. Stop it. Well, I mean, I had to have something to get the good girl, right? You got a whole lot to get the good girl. Charming. Very charming. Oh, that's so funny to say. I'm charming. Yeah. Prince charming. This is President Obama talking to some kids in Kalamazoo. You sound serious. You know what I like? But you're not going to ace every class. You know what I like? What? I'm just like, I'm just like, what's his name, Steve Jobs? Yeah. I like when I go to my equipment or whatever and it just, nothing happens. Yeah, it's great. Yeah, it's funny when that happens. It's one of my favorite things. We got it. Yeah, Scott. Verizon. Verizon. Here we go. President Obama talking to kids at Kalamazoo. But you're not going to ace every class. You're not going to succeed.
The first time you try something. There are going to be times when you screw up. There will be times where you hurt people you love. There will be times where you make a mistake and you stray from the values that you hold most deeply. And when that happens, it's the easiest thing in the world to start looking around for somebody else to blame. This is an easy habit to get into. You see it every day in Washington. Every day. Folks calling each other names. Making all sorts of accusations on television. Everybody's always pointing a finger at somebody else. I like that. Yeah, dude. I love when the president of our country is talking to kids about accountability. Yep. All in on that. And it's true. My dad really impressed upon me. Don't you point your fingers at people. Don't point your fingers at people. It's really easy for us to do. The saying is.
It's way easier for us to hold a flashlight than it is to hold a mirror. I like that thing. It's a good one. It's true, man. It's so, so true. I was the flashlight most holding son of a gun my whole life, man. Literally. It was always everybody else's fault. Woodsy, let me tell you. When I hear you say, my bad, or I say, you know what? I was wrong. Like, that's very, it takes a lot, man. It did. It gets easier the more you're able to do it. But, dude, for years. I mean, I would never apologize to Jamie for yelling at her or snapping at her. And now I'm like, hey, I'm really sorry I was grouchy. And it takes me an hour to work up the courage to do it. But at least I do it now. Yeah. You know? We went to have lunch with Jay yesterday. And he told us we went to sushi. And Jay blew through four pounds of edamame. Edamame. I'm pretty good at that. That's what I said. Edamame. Edamame. Who's Edamame? Who's Edamame? Think mommy. It's all our sales guys. Think mommy at the end. Edamame. Edamame. Edamame. He says yesterday, he goes, yeah. He goes, you know, one time I took some edamame hiking. Rock climbing. Rock climbing. And he starts to go on with a story. And I go, wait, wait, wait, wait. What? The bigger story is that you take edamame.
Rock climbing. Rock climbing. What a clown. It's a little container of its own. You ever hear a sandwich? You ever hear a Heath Bar? Heath Bar. I may have a sandwich as well. He takes edamame with him. He takes out the same thing that Claire took out in the breakfast club, you know, a little box. Sushi box? A little bento box? Yeah, we were talking about the different ways. Darn it. I forgot the wasabi. Yeah. People don't know how to eat edamame. He's like, well, one time I remember my buddy, a silly guy, I took edamame out when we were rock climbing and he started doing the... The guy didn't even know how to eat it. Tap the brakes. Tap the brakes. That's what Mikey says. He says, Mikey pays attention to the strangest part of the story. It's like, that's not the part I was talking about. I was just like, yeah, edamame. That was the most obvious part to me. 100%. It's like the best J sentence ever. Ever. Can you imagine J on a grappling hook? Yeah. 4,000 feet scaling the side of a mountain, whipping out some edamame. Look, I like to climb and I like to eat edamame, okay? Of course. You can't even just drop it in your mouth and eat it. It takes work. That was fantastic. It's not clean.
It was clean. It was clean. Yeah, it was. Was it not? It was talking over on me. And you wonder why I have to make hush puppies and I have to make... I'm so tired. Because Lauren knows it's always not clean. Trust me. Try harder. Trust me. We need to get clean cuts of Jay saying things about him. Let's do it right now. We should just come in on a weekend. Here we go. Let's do it right now. I like to climb and I like to eat edamame. There we go. Perfect. Give me another one. These are for when we come in from commercial break. Yeah, tell me other things about you, Jay. Hey, I like to skateboard. So what if I like to surf every day? There we go. Gold. These are good. Maybe now we can get rejoins every break. Those are when you say Mikey is, you know, and play a clip of Mikey. Woods, play a clip of Woods. After commercials. Yeah, my feet are big. What's wrong with you, Mike? You have to sneeze? Getting to my happy place. This is Zen Mikey. This is good stuff. This is radio gold right now. I love it. I love it. Let's see. Do you eat edamame while rock climbing? 570, 194.9. All the time. Why am I scuba diving? That's just so, like, that's like me going to, yeah, so we had a baseball game on Sunday, the Brewers, and we played the, you know, the Texans, and we went out on the field and came in from the inning and just grabbed some edamame before the next inning. It's the same thing. You'd be like, it's leftovers. You took edamame in the dugout? It's leftovers.
There's a show called Last Comic Standing. It's back. It's pretty cool. Is it a good show? Yeah, it is. The idea is that they take a bunch of unknown comics and they... Uh-oh. We have a comic in the room. Yes, we do. That's how I found her. A real-life comic. I'm an amateur. Lauren O'Brien, you're not in on the Last Comic Standing? I'm not in on the... American Idol of comics? Yes. I'm not in on the whole elimination. Let's all vote. I'm not in on any of those shows. Why doesn't that bother me as much as the singing does? I think it's because I don't like the way any of those people sing like this. Like all the dudes trying to be falsetto and sing like Justin Timberlake. Everyone's just trying to be found and make their way and make some money. The comic thing, I'm like... Maybe I could steal some jokes. It doesn't really bother me. I'm just not going to sit down and watch it. Really? I think I might. It's weird because they're already kind of known comedians. I mean, I know a lot of them. Really? Some of them are pretty good. This dude's name is Felipe Esparza. Yeah. Cousin, distant cousin. How'd he get some air time? Yeah. How'd he get on the radio? Let's see if my namesake's any good.
I'm not feeling too good right now because my mom and dad are getting a divorce. And I'm scared because I don't know who am I going to live with now. There's going to be a custody battle because neither one of them want me. I live at home for one reason. By the way, the reason that you don't hear, this is not in a nightclub. So you're not hearing laughter because he's having to do this in front of judges. Oh, it's the worst. I like it because it brings attention to, you know, comedy and it's bringing that art form back. But that's like walking down the plank. Yeah. Because you're standing in front of people. There's no reaction. There's no reaction. So you can't feed off their laughter. Oh, no. They're just looking at you. Oh, it makes me sad. It's got to mess with your timing, too. Because the timing of a joke is, a lot of times, just as important as the joke. And you require the audience to give you that timing. Someone needs to answer the phone in English. That makes me the manager. I got into a car accident. You ever been in a car accident with someone else that doesn't have insurance? You guys just look at each other. car insurance and you think the other person might not have insurance, just grab any paper out of your car and you hold it like it's insurance. It could be any paper. It could be your eviction notice, your son's homework. Just believe in the paper. What do you think? More? Less? Felipe, I've seen you work a lot of times and you really kill. Crowds love you. Thank you. You're very funny.
I am torn. It's not easy because this was not really representative of how funny you really are. Yeah, I believe that too. But I can tell how funny you are. So I'm going to say yes. I want to see what goes on in the showcase tonight in front of a crowd. It was funny when you came in. Were you kind of playing a character? No, that was me. Oh, okay. No, because you were just kind of like robotic. It was funny, but then I was like, oh, maybe he's nervous. All right. I would just keep doing comedy. Well, for me, it's a no. I thought you had some really funny stuff, so I'm actually going to say yes. You have very strange mannerisms, which I find interesting. Boring. You're out, Sienna. Yeah. I think it's funny. I like to hear comics. I do too, man. I do too. I love stand-up comedy. It's just, it's so, I mean, I guess you could say that about anything, but it's so subjective and it might not be your brand of humor and to get, like, I heard that chick, I thought he was funny. I heard that chick, I'm like, who does she think she is? He's funny. Yeah. And that's the deal. I mean, listen, it's, they're all getting judged.
It's just like any other of those shows, you know? It's as fair as any of them. I thought this guy was decent. Tell me what you think. I just want to say thank you for having me here. I live in a studio apartment. And a studio apartment is a constant reminder that you're just one room away from being homeless. It's a treehouse without a tree. I try to feel good about my situation because, like, I lost my girlfriend during the recession, and I sat her down. I said, I really like you. I think you're a beautiful woman. But do you mind if we see other people just until the price of gas goes down? You know, geographically, you're just not attractive to me right now. I would rather date somebody in my neighborhood or, better yet, in my apartment complex. Good. I think you're very funny. That's funny. That's funny. It is funny. I wish I was a black comedian. Wow. All your favorites. Every one of my favorite comedians is a black comedian. And they are unparalleled. I used to write jokes and hear it in the voice of a black man. Yeah. Is that weird? That's weird. I love it. I'm right there with you. Really, L.O.B.? Yeah. That's cool. Yeah, but not when I deliver it. And I'm like, did I ever notice? Yeah.
Me too. Me too, yeah. Did you ever notice that when... You sound like an idiot. You don't sound the same. No. Dude, I've never been a fan of the Mexican comic. Has there ever been a funny one? Dude, the reason I'm not a fan of the Mexican comic is because everything has to be... It's not... Instead of... You ever notice the difference between dogs and cats? It's like, you ever notice when a Mexican has a dog and a cat? You're like, really? What about just anyone having a dog? Yeah. How about going to an ATM? You know, you ever see a Mexican go to an ATM? Really? It's the same. It's the same bit. Well, it's a built-in shtick. Yeah. Like, I've struggled with a shtick. And if you have some sort of, like, defining, you know, outlier about yourself. I have a tip for you. What? Maybe do all your jokes in Irish. What? Gaelic? Gaelic. Yeah, do it in Gaelic. You're up, Brian. Do it in Gaelic. That's your bet. Lauren was great, man. When I saw her on YouTube, I mean, and I saw her first. I saw Lauren's first stand-up ever, and you could tell she's nervous, but the material was good. No, it was not. It was good. My first stand-up ever was horrible. I want to do it so bad. So bad. L-O-B. I mean, it's what made me go.
This girl's good. But you saw the little connected related videos. Oh, here we go. Six months later. Six months later, it got even better. But I thought your bit like all of it. I didn't have a problem with any one of your bits. I thought your bit on guys wearing their Laker jerseys into a bar was hysterical. Thanks, Mike. You didn't like my potty humor, though. Yeah, the potty humor stuff was a little much. But hey, if you're into the potty humor, I recognized that it was good material. I dropped a few expletives in there. She did. Good. Did you? Oh, yeah. She's a dirty birdie. Did you? Yeah, of course. I want to curse on stage really badly. I would be the non-cursing comedian. I had to clean up my act for the Mikey show. It's good practice. I would be... I say it all the time to people. This show is... It's difficult because... You have, it's a clean comedy. It's better for you, though. And it's better for you. If you can keep it clean. How easy is it to be funny and dirty? Yeah. Like, I'm a dirty bird at home dropping stuff. The way that you're probably going to get discovered is by being able to do the universal humor. Which we can. Because you can get on the Lettermans. You can get on the Tonight Shows. You can't get on the Tonight Shows, start dropping the Fs and the, you know. And it's almost like, like, I feel like it's the cheap laugh.
Okay, if you say the F-bomb, then that makes people nervous, so they're going to laugh anyway. Nervously. Yeah. I'm going to do it. Before the year is out, I'm going to go to an open mic, and I'm going to do it. What's the bit? How long? Two minutes? A minute? For your first one, have like three minutes. Three minutes preparing? Done. I would love it. You can't come. Why not? Because it's going to be dirty. Dude, I've got some of the funniest dirty stuff in this brain. I bet. It's so great. Yeah, we hear it during commercials. I know you do. And you hear it in the Monday meetings. L-O-B, I'll hear this in the audience. One laugh. That's all I'll hear. She's fine with me. I would do it. Mine would be clean. I would never in a million years. Really? I want to do it. I'm going to do it. I'm going to start writing. I'm going to start writing. Yeah. Let's see. Same lunch yesterday. Woodsy got all mad at me because it's funny. L.O.B. is like the meeting police. So is Sienna. The girls are the meeting police. It's because you guys are children. You'll hear this from Sienna. Okay, okay, okay. And you'll hear this from L.O.B. L.O.B. does a snap. L.O.B. would do the snap. L.O.B. would do the snap. Yeah, you do. You do the snap and then you point at me and Woodsy and you go because me and Woodsy start arguing about how Woodsy's a flake. Am I? He's a flake. I'm not a flake.
I'm a flake. You're a flake. You're a flake. I'm a frosted flake. Sometimes. Jay's not flaky. You're flaky. You think that you're not. You're the worst kind. I don't think Mike's flake at all. I don't know. I have one, though. I've been thinking about it for 24 hours. I've got it. Maybe in 48 you'll come up with one. Yeah, maybe I will. You're a flake when it comes to the bits, but I think you forget them. Oh, 100%. I forget stuff, but I have to have everything written down in front of me. You flake on plans. I don't think he does. He flakes on response emails sometimes. Yes, and you've been like, Woodsy, you know what? How's that? You know what, Woodsy, we just can't make it. Something came up. Okay, cool. And I don't call you a flake for that. With a plan? Yeah. That is a flake. I don't do it. You have done it. Never done it. You absolutely have done it. I don't make plans with you, so I wouldn't know. Right. L-O-B. Really? You guys make plans every day. What's he and I? Yes. We live right around the corner from each other. It doesn't matter. You have wives. It didn't make a difference when you lived down in North Park. That's true. Well, I'll tell you this. Maybe if I got an invite to do something from other members of the show, I wouldn't have to. I have invited you numerous times to go to the beach, to come to my house. And vice versa. I know. Thank you. And vice versa. I live farther away. When you call L.O.B., does she pick the phone up? No.
Never. Me either. Never. What? Never on the first time. Oh, my gosh. I got so nervous yesterday because her thing is, if we're going to communicate, we're going to communicate through text. We don't speak. That's not true. That's true. That's absolutely true. Okay, Mr. Email, voicemail. True. But I go, I'm like, I got to talk to Lauren. I got to talk to Lauren. I'm like, working up my courage. I'm working up my courage. And then I finally text her. I'm like, can you call me? And I picture her going, oh, God, what now? What this time? I texted her last night. I said, call your boy. Because I called, didn't answer. So I texted her. I go, call your boy. Okay. First of all, first of all, I don't like talking on the phone. She hates us. I hate talking on the phone. She hates us. No, I do not. Trust me. Ask any of my friends. I hate talking on the phone. Why? You're fun to talk to. Because it's like an anchor.
I'm like, I can do, you know, I can multitask if I'm, like, texting or emailing or whatever, but I have to talk on the phone. I'm like, uh-huh, yep, yep. And I got to stand there with this hot thing against my ear, and I can't use both of my hands. When the phone rings when she calls you, Woods, right before you answer it, are you nervous? Yeah, vomiting. What? Vomiting? And you're like, this is how I do it. I go, I'm like, hey, L-O-B. Why? Hey, girl. She goes, hey. Why? No, yeah. Hey. That's my bit. Why do you guys have to talk on the phone? Because it's too much to type out. It is. We spend so much time together. No, we don't. And we talk for a living. Lauren needs to have some time to herself. Thank you, Sienna. I need to have time to myself. In our defense, there are characters on the show that we do that we have to, like. come up with scenarios for. No, I agree. I know that there's a time and a place. Is there any bigger beating in the world than when you get the homework from Jay, you look at it and you go, huh, what are we going to do with this guy again? Now, where do we really want to take this guy? Well, why don't you read the meeting notes that I've been typing out? It's not always in there. What exactly? Because we'll call and I'll be like, what's Eskimo up to? And how fun is it, Woodsy, when we get out? Me and Woodsy, all we do is giggle and laugh on the phone. We're like, what are you doing?
thinking about this. You guys just sit on the phone for like an hour and giggle with each other. Why is it that you guys are the girls and I feel like Lauren and I are the guys. It's not like work to me. I'm like, this is not work. But I have other things in my life too besides work. This is me. I'm married. I have a house. This is me right before LOB calls. Oh, stop it. One, two, three. Hi, LLB. Okay, I got back from my run yesterday, and I saw a text message from you, and then you're like, can you call me? And I was in the middle of stretching, so I'm like, oh, I guess I have to put my phone on speaker now. Woodsy knows it. Don't take it personally, you guys. Will you call me or don't? You don't have to, but can you? Don't take it personally. Yeah, don't take it personally. I don't like to talk on the phone with anyone. Dear Flaky Friends, 570-1949. I want to hear from the flakiest flake, and I want to hear what your rationale is. And I also want to hear from, no, dude, you think you know a flake? You got nothing on my wife. 570-1949.

I worked at Comic-Con. And Jay. I don't watch sports. I have nothing to do. If I'm not playing, I don't want to see it. This is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. We got flaky people calling in. I'm not a flake, but Woods is. It's really interesting. Oh, God, really? Really? I am 100%. I am not a flake, dude. Yes, I am. I know I am. It's no big deal. Everyone is. I'm a big talker. I like to talk and make plans. And then, hey, if I'm tired or I don't feel good, I'm not going to go. You know what? As a 35-year-old man, I'm pretty much entitled to do what I want. Well. And it's better than going to do something you don't want to. Like, you should never really do something that you don't want to do and feel forced to do it. It's the Sienna adage, though.
Once you get there, you're happy you did it. Yeah. Not always. Not always. Sometimes you're miserable that you're there. No. Whatsy has a hard time saying no, too. Yes, very hard time. It's just, I mean, it's really bad when you, like, say someone's having a party and you're like, oh, my gosh, I'm going to come and I'm going to bring something. And then you don't even come, you know, and it's like, come on. If you're supposed to bring something. And people flake in situations like that where, like, they have promised that they're going to contribute something or that, you know, where someone's just really close to you. It's like you have to make it to that birthday dinner. Yeah. If I say that I'm going to go to something, I go. I would agree with you. I don't think that you flake at all, Mike. The only time that I'll flake is it would be a thing where I double booked without me knowing it. Yeah. Where Rebecca goes, babe, that's the night that we're going to like, you know, the fireman's ball. I'm like, really? Sometimes things sound really interesting to me. And I'll be like, oh, yeah, I totally want to do that.
And then the night comes around and I'm tired. No. No. But if I haven't answered. Of course you're going to be tired. If I haven't answered like an evite or if I haven't been like, oh, you know, like RSVP or whatever, then I'm like, I just kind of said in passing, it sounds cool. I don't have to go. See, sometimes I, one time, this was probably the worst one I've ever done. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding. And at the reception, the reception was pretty quick. It was over by like nine or something. So everyone's going to the bar down the street. I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding. I'm like, guys, see you guys there. Yeah. Todd and I walk. Bridesmaid. We walk over by the bar, go outside. No one's there yet. We're one of the first ones ever like, I think we're over it. I'm gone. Didn't even get to say bye to the bride. I mean. They light you up. How mean is that? No. They didn't light you up. See, you're lucky. I don't know how. Dudes would light dudes up. Oh, Woodsy. I would light you up. Yeah, I felt so bad. Back in the day, back in Dallas, if something like that had happened back in Dallas. In fact, Woods was the go-to guy that I would use as the example of if you would do things like that. Woods was the example of, really, that's what you're going to do to your boy, huh? Yeah. Leave us here.
Great. Oh, I can't. Him just saying that right now is like we were back in Dallas. But don't you think we have like kind of an ultimate excuse, though, because we wake up so early and people know that we get so tired. It's the greatest thing ever. Like what Jay was talking about, we were talking about earlier is people coming to visit. And I said, because I've been getting a lot. I've had probably since I moved here, five people that have said, hey, I'm going to be in San Diego for business. During the week, I've seen one of them. And that one was John Fenwick, who's my best friend in the world. And I was like, the other guys were kind of C and D level guys. Couldn't make it happen. And one Stephanie from Del Mar says that she is the biggest flake in the world. Is that right, Stephanie? Yes. Now, if that's the case, that means that all your friends, they know it. Yes, they do. They still invite you? I always know that I probably won't be there. You know why they still invite you? Because you must be a lot of fun when you do make it out. Oh, see, that's the thing. The flakes are the greatest. Yeah. You're like, oh, my God, you're here. Yes. It's so much fun. They're dancing. And you're like, yes. Make plans and you know you're not even going to go. You're like, yeah, yeah, that's good. I do that all the time. I do it. Yeah, me too. I always do it. It's because you're the personality.
that finds it very hard to take it when somebody goes, if you say no, you find it very hard to take. Really? You're not going to come? And that just kills you. So it's easier to just go, sure, I'll be there. See? It is, man. It is. So wait a minute. Let me ask you, Stephanie. What is the last thing that you said that you were going to go to that you actually went to? The last thing that I went to? My friend. 21st birthday, Memorial Day. Now, let me ask you this. It ended in jail. Oh, wow. Wait, what? It ended with her in jail? One of our friends. With one of your friends in jail. How old are you? How old? 21. You're 21? Yes. Okay. Now, let me ask you, Stephanie. When you don't go, the times that you don't go, how come you don't go most of the time?
Tell it how it is. That is, oh, I know this person. I know this person. It's the person that either they say they're going to go and they don't, or they're the person that you invite them and they go, oh, I'll have to let you know. They don't have anything. They're just waiting for a better opportunity to come along. See, I'm not that person. I would rather just stay home sometimes. That's my thing. That's my thing. 1,000% is it sounds so lovely what you have planned. And then the day comes and I'm like, dude, I got the yanks on. I got a fresh can of snuff. My wife just made Hello Dollies. I'm going to sit here and do nothing. Of course, but that's how everybody feels. Not everybody. I don't trade. Mikey, I wouldn't flake on you to go do something with L.O.B. I wouldn't flake on you to go do something with Mikey. Yeah, you'll stay home. I'll sit home at the remote. But the deal is, I can tell you, when I make a plan, Guaranteed. When the time comes, I'm laying in bed nude on the laptop. And I don't want to move. I just want to, I'm so happy and content. But I'm like, and let me tell you something. I am married to the quintessential, like that's her hot button. Flaking. Her hot button is when she makes, and she expects this of her husband. She let me know that. Really? Very early. She expects that when I make a plan,
I do not cancel it. That's my bit, too. Really? Oh, dude. Rebecca is huge on that. And so, like, she will, like, it doesn't matter if it has nothing to do with her. It's so ingrained in her psyche that if I make a plan and I go, man, I'm not really feeling that good, she'll go, babe, you said you were going. Yeah. Holy cow. I am so glad Jamie's not like that. Oh, yeah. Just so you don't, like. It's one thing if the person is, like, tired. Like, that was my bit with Matt all the time. If he was tired or whatever, but if you make another plan when you've already made plans with me, but something else comes along that, like, maybe sounds more exciting or you forgot that that was going to be on the same day or something like that, you're like, but it's a matter of integrity. What if it isn't another plan? What if it's I'm tired? Were you okay with that? I'm better with that than something else. When it's something else, it's like you're forgoing one place for another. We're always tired. You're always tired. We're people. We're Americans. Some people love to go out. They hate being at home. A lot of people are like that. I love being at home. I was like that. I never want to leave. We need to make a plan for you to come over and watch Amores. But I don't want to.
But you made a bet with me. Go to his house and watch it. You made a bet. Can I eat a turd instead of watching Amoros Peros? You made a bet with me. He has changed in the past month and a half. When Woods was first out here, he couldn't stand being in his house. He wanted to do something every night. He was by himself. Now that Jamie's here, he wants to just snuggle up. My boo and my babies are here. I lay on the couch and they just sleep in my little... Potholes, I call them. Hey, Stephanie. Potholes. Was I right that you are the life of the party? Yes, usually. You're very fun at a party. Your friends love being around you. Yes. And that's why they get so upset when she flakes. Because they love her. They love being around Stephanie. You know what, Stephanie? Maybe we have you come in here on a Friday. Just because you sound like a nice person. Just because you sound like a nice person, maybe we have you come in on a Friday. What are you doing? Mind reading these days? She's going to flake anyway. I was just going to say, maybe we invite her. Mike, she's going to flake anyway. Maybe we have her come in. She sounds like fun. Jay, get her information and we'll handle it. It's ridiculous. She's going to flake on us. I don't know. Hey, if you flake on us, you're dead. She'll be like, you guys, I would love to come up on a Friday and hang with you guys. She didn't say that. She said, we'll see. Yeah, we'll see. She knows how early we get out. We should invite her up on Friday. We're going to be good.
gone. We'll flake on her. Yeah. Hey, Stephanie, that's an interesting question. How are you when people flake on you? Oh, um, it doesn't happen very often. They don't flake on her. Hey, maybe you come up to the studio on a Friday and we... No, I'm just saying, you know, we test to see if she's really a flaker. Yeah, we're going to have a 4th of July party in the studio. You're 21 years old, right? Wow. All right, Stephanie, thank you for the call. Jay, get her information. Bye. Jay, get her information. Stop. What's your name on Facebook? I bet she's got a lot of fans. Follow me on Twitter. I didn't do anything. M1J Slug from Oceanside. Hey, how's it going, you guys? Hey. I read my mind. I'm actually flaking on work right now. Are you? I enjoy the show so much. You guys are great. Thank you. Well, don't get fired, dude. Yeah, don't get fired for it.
It's okay. It's only my third week on the job. Really? Got fired for flaking on a place last time. That's what he said, the new job. Well, thank you, man. We appreciate you, Jay Slug. I love you. Oh, definitely. All right, we'll see you. See you, pal. Bye. The flake stuff. I actually ended a relationship with a friend that I've known since I was 18 because he was a flake. Really? Yeah. How did you end it? I just... Point blank told him. I said, I'm done with you, dude. I don't want to see you. I don't want to know anything about you. You're unreliable. I've counted on you for all this. I've done all this for you. Done. Yeah. I did the same thing, except I didn't confront the person. I just let it fizzle out. I have a friend that's weird. That's fucking me right now, too. She's over the top. Every weekend we have plans. And we haven't hung out in like six months. Every weekend we have plans. Really? What's the best way to get you to come over? What are you talking about? You need to tell me. You got to tell me how I'm going to get this up. I came over Sunday. Yeah, because I had to instruct you how to do something. You guys hang out like every weekend. I hang out all the time. Now I need you to come over during the week, watch Motor Speed. Oh, I don't hang out during the week. Here's my bit. Yeah, that's my new bit. He lives two seconds from my house. Why don't you go to his house? There's all the dogs. Yeah, but he's got all the kids. And he don't want me over there. You just compared the kids to the dogs. The kids are climbing all over you. Oh, yeah, I'm not bringing the kids. You know that anyway, though.
No, no, no, no, no. I'm saying he has a bunch of kids running around his house. They're not all running around, though. Oh, that's why you don't. No, that's not why. I love your kids. You don't. Well, the other day he came over, Jakey was in his underoos. He wasn't naked. No, he was naked. Really? He was naked when I got there. He had a shirt on. And a shirt. And he ran down to Rebecca's like, oh, God, what's his hair? Right before you got there, she goes, is Jake with you? And I go, yeah, and he doesn't have it. And she goes, I know. Bring him here right away. What's up? The kid's here. Can I tell you something? And I said to Rebecca, I go, it's too late. She goes, come here, Jake. Come here. Come here. He was running down the hallway. So he's running down the hallway. I open up the door, and Woodsy instantly turns his head and is like, really? Woodsy's made it known that he doesn't really like seeing the little kids running around naked. Well, can I tell you guys something? He's right. Can I tell you something? He's wrong. He's right. Jake is three. It's adorable. Put some chonies on. He's in his house. I come home. I'm like, hey, nature baby. How about some Chinese, man? Naked as a jaybird. Naked as a jaybird. Yeah. This isn't a commune. When I left Mikey's house, though, he goes, bye, Uncle Wood. Oh, that's so sweet. And my heart just goes. And he came up and gave me a hug. I was like. So sweet. I'm like, but what is this? Woodstock? Yeah, it is. He's walking around with a joint in his hand, butt naked. Yeah, right. Exactly. I'm like, are you listening to John Cannon records? It's cute. He's comfortable.
Sienna. There's nothing wrong with it. He's in his house. Put some clothes on. I'll come over. And we'll watch that movie, will we? When? I don't know. In 2010, we'll get it done. Nope. It wasn't me. Cantina scene? You don't know that? Yeah, cantina scene. Yeah. I know it. Original Star Wars? I like both of those guys. It's a kind of interesting concept. I thought it was interesting. That scene always scared me. In the original. Wizzy's not a Star Wars guy. I am a Star Wars guy. Are you really? Yeah, dude. Because I'm from my little kid. But I stopped there. Stopped. Yeah. Dude, I never had any of that stuff. No. I did when I was a kid. I had, like, all the stuff. Never had it. Really? Wasn't really interested. I had a Millennium Falcon and all that. I thought Star Wars was okay. You know why I didn't get into Star Wars too much? Why? I didn't understand it. No, it wasn't the easiest thing to understand. But I stopped. Like, after the Return of the Jedi, I was like, I started reading. And I was like, yeah, I don't really like fantasy stuff. And I started watching, like, real, trying to do, like, real stuff. I never, I always looked at other kids that were into it. And I would go.
How do you know what they're talking about? I know. That's what I would think in my head. I wouldn't say it out loud because I wouldn't want to be judged, but I thought, how do you know what they're talking about? Because they're talking about words I've never heard that word. I know. So how do you know what that is? I know. That's what my deal was. What? What? Yeah. You kind of had a look, Sienna. You had a look. What is it? Sienna, are you into it? Oh, yeah. Are you ready? No. Come on. I was just, I was surprised to hear Wood say that. What? Mr. I'm not into fantasy. Yeah, when I was nine, I stopped. I know, but. I'm 35. Yeah. When I was nine years old and I saw Return of the Jedi 10 time. Why are you rounding up every time you say your birthday? You want to be older. Because I'm almost there. I'm almost there. July. Did you guys know? I'm almost there. That the latest thing in fashion is rat fur? Ew. Say again. Don't you have some, Mike? Say again. Rat fur. Rat fur? Yeah. That's, is it, do you call it fur? Yeah. It's called rat hair. Yeah. It's the Bayou water rat, to be exact. That's so gross. Why is that gross? Oh, because rats are the most hideous, filthy model. Maybe they wash the fur. Ew. A sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie. Yeah. I wouldn't know. I don't know. So, you know, mink, chinchilla, fox, rabbit. Now it's rat fur. Back in fashion. Not really back, but it's in fashion. You know why? Because foxes didn't cause the bubonic plague.
Rats did. They're gross. Oh, no, I agree with you guys. I'm just, you know. That's one of those animals I look at and I go, so what were you thinking, God? What was up with the rat? But you have a mink stole, so you don't care about that, don't you? I don't have a mink stole. But your robe has mink on it. Really? It has a big mink. A mink is a rodent as well. It has a big mink. cover around it. Me wearing expensive robes always gets Sienna, but it doesn't really affect L.O.B. Make a short joke. L.O.B. is off to the races laughing. It's a very tiny little mink robe. They each react to different Mike humor. Well, the Bayou Water Rat Fur is now on a number of different catwalks. The Autumn Winter 2010 collections of clothing, including Oscar de la Renta's. He has jewel-toned fur coats. Does it have a picture of it? No, I have a picture of the rat. That doesn't look like a rat. It's all shaved down. It looks like a beaver. It does look like a beaver. It's gross. It's kind of cute. Oh, I think all fur is gross. You do? Yes. So weird. Why? You wouldn't have guessed that? I know. No, honestly. Wait, wait, wait. What? What am I going to wear? A scarf made out of your beard? Like, it's the weirdest thing. Well, first of all, that's hair. That's not fur. It's the same thing as fur.
No, hair's different. I think the fur is soft and nice, and hair is more bristly. So if my hair was soft, would you wear a scarf made out of it? 100%. I have a scarf made out of your hair. Easy, Susanna. I used to have some fur items when I was younger. Weird. Mink. Mink, I did. Weird. I forget what they're called. I had this little thing that you put your hands in to keep a warmest fur around them. There's like a little... Like sleeve. A muffler. A muff. I don't know. It's a muff. I don't know how that would be. I think maybe having something made out of your hair would be kind of cool, you know? Why not? Gross. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with that. There is like a thing that came out a couple years ago. There's a store, Burlington Coat Factory. I don't know if that exists. Still around. They were stuffing coats with dog hair. Yeah. What? I heard about it. Yeah. Yeah. I heard about it.
That was a big story. Keeps you warm. Nice and real toasty. Fox is, you know, there's a lot of animals that are really, the fur is nice. Yeah, maybe they like it. Maybe you don't need it for your road. Maybe they need to stay warm in nature. Where do you stand on fur? I don't really have an opinion, honestly. Wait a minute. I would say this. I would say this. Yeah, I mean, I guess it's kind of gnarly to think that they, like, raise them just for their skin. That's pretty gross. I mean, I think that's gross. I used to be like, whatever, man. First, now I'm like, I'm kind of anti-fur. I kind of am. And you know what? Isn't it like anything else if you don't think about it? You don't think about the steak you eat, the burger you eat. But like, plus you don't live. I know. And they do the same exact thing. And leather. You wear leather. Yeah, I mean, it's the same thing. Yeah, I wear leather like crazy. It's cow skin. I mean, I wear leather pants. I have a leather jacket. No, I don't. You know what I have? I have a leather baseball glove and shoes. Yeah. Am I a monster? Your bro is made out of leather. The bra?
Really? The man's ear. Mike, just then, Mike just thought, what's the most embarrassing thing I can say? No leather. You don't wear any leather. Sometimes, incidentally, if there's something on there, but I try not to. That's leather on your headphones. Your boots. It is? No, I just wanted to see the face. Oh, the face. That is leather. Is this not leather? This is not leather. No, that's not leather. No, that's plastic. I guess that's not. She's good, man. I don't know. You have tennis shoes? They're all made out of cloth. What about your tennis shoes? Oh, my purse is leather. No, those are made out of human skin. Yeah. They're like vinyl and rubber. Let's see. M1 John from Carlsbad. Are you there? Hey, Mikey. Yeah. Hey, real quick. I'm never going to convince you that rats are cool because I know you're not a rat lover. But my wife convinced me, and they're really cool pets. But also, the main point is fleas cause a bubonic plague, not rats. All right. Well, who carried the fleas around? Wow. He carried the fleas around. Dogs and cats and rats. When the bubonic plague happened, humans had as many fleas as probably rats did. Hey, listen. We know that the bubonic plague was the fleas on those rats. Yes, it was. It wasn't the rats.
And he has a rat pet that's probably adorable. Oh, I'm sure it's white and cute and all that stuff. It'll gnaw your skull when you sleep. His name is Squeaks. I had a rat pet for a long time. Me too. They didn't even have to close the cage on him. It would hang out. Oh, yeah. He also had a rat tail, but that didn't make it okay, Jay. We had a class pet that was a rat in third grade. His name was Molly. You know what? Molly was a domesticated rat. Let me tell you, those sewer rats. Dude, Chicago. Gross. I've always wanted to see them. We used to throw quarters and pennies at them. Yeah, they probably hissed at you. They're on the beaches here, too. What? I never see that. Squirrels. No, when the lights go out, then they'll come up the stairs and start rummaging through the trash cans and stuff. Are you serious? No. Kept me away from the beaches forever in my life. I'll never go back. You won't see one. I'm not going back. Stop. Oh, it gives me the heebie-jeebies. You don't get them in your garden, Mikey? I don't think so. I caught 16 rats last year. They were coming to eat my tomatoes. Yeah, they're here. It's a part of life. They're here. It doesn't mean you have to wear them around your neck. Sometimes I would catch them two at a time in a trap. Weird that you have a rat trap. You can't get rid of them. You cannot get rid of them, man. I cleaned them out.
Did you? Yeah, I had my BB gun at night. I'd go out and I'd hunt them with my spotlight on my head. Was you shooting them? Yeah, I had a pellet gun. That's like Todd. He does stuff like that. I wouldn't because then I'd have to pick it up. Yeah, what do you do then? I'd make my life pick it up. They like freeze. Make J-Bone go up and get it. Stick the dog on him. My dog loves to hunt rat. Hillary's here. Hi, Hillary. Hi, guys. Nice little combo, Hillary. Hey, what animal gives you the heebie-jeebies the most? Spiders, snakes, rats, whatever. I love that. Yeah, I love that. Some of them don't really get me. You know what? I used to live in Mission and PB and would see possums all the time that look like huge rats. They have the same rat tail. And they're fearless. Pink eyes. Yeah, those are... Creepy. Probably my least favorite. Butt just clenched up. You know what, though? People in the South, they'll eat possum. Possum's delicious. Just kidding. I've never eaten possum. People will. Yeah, possum pie. Delicious. My grandfather grew up on possum and squirrel. He grew up in the hills of Tennessee. And weren't all born with a silver spoon in our mouth. Some of us had to work for what we got. Sure, sure. Wow. Oh, that's fantastic. What do you got coming up today, Hill?
Mumford & Sons, and the Soft Pack, and them, Crooked Vultures. You know what I grabbed? One of our recommended albums, the new Not a Surf. They covered with Pesh Mode on their new covers album, so I'm going to play that in a little bit. Yeah. That's cool. 570-1949. 949mikey at gmail.com is how you get a hold of us by text. And beginning and end of every show, we do open phones. If you'd like, you can call about whatever topic you want. Even the... Rat topic. The reason it came up is because rat fur is now the new thing. Some interesting facts. Oh, what's the deal with the Tri-City Medical Hospital Facebook scandal? Oh, you remember this? A couple weeks ago, the story broke that employees working at the hospital were talking about patients in the hospital. Which they cannot do. On their Facebook. On their Facebook. Yeah, it's violating patient confidentiality. Brilliant. So they're going to be getting fired. There's a few of them getting fired this week. I wonder what they were saying. Yeah, I don't know. Like so-and-so's a jerk. And they don't want to release anything now, obviously, because they don't want the information to get out anymore than they already did. Probably saying stuff specific to their ailments. Yeah. Like so-and-so has a huge... Yeah, or had to deal with this today. It was gross. You know, I don't know. Yeah.
That's not good. Yeah, really, really bad. So they're getting fired. Let's see. There was a Roman gladiator cemetery that they dug up yesterday in England. And I saw pictures of it online. So crazy. At first, they didn't know what was going on. They thought maybe there were criminals that they were bearing up because. that they were digging up because there was limbs missing and stuff. But then they noticed that there was huge bite marks in bones and stuff like that from lions, tigers, you name it. And some of the guys' arms were a lot bigger than their other arm, like their right arm, because they're used to carrying weapons and stuff like that in one of the arms. Yeah, that's why. So they know. Yeah. So they know that they're from Roman gladiators. That's crazy. Isn't that crazy? They found them under the city of York. They said also that the tallest guy was like 5'8". They said this would have been huge back then. I could have played basketball. You would have been a king. Yeah, you'd have been a center. Yeah, you'd have been a center. Yeah. Back in the day. Oh, imagine that. Nobody photoshopped Mikey as a gladiator. It's already been done. That's true. It already has been done. Oh, my God. Weird. This is going to freak out a lot of parents. A third, one third of children have seen online porn by the age of?
Sienna? 10. 10 years old. Can you believe that? Jenna is 9. Are you serious? And that gives me... The heebies. I want to vomit. We may need to talk about this some more tomorrow because it's pretty crazy. More than 8 in 10 children aged 14 to 16 say they regularly access hardcore photographs and footage on their home computers. Wow. Two-thirds watch it on their mobile phones. 70% admit they have never been physically intimate, but... 70. 70. Out of 10-year-olds. 70 out of 100. 30% have. Admit to hardcore stuff. But they have seen the hardcore stuff online. So that's, I mean, the crazy thing is, is these kids are seeing that and they're thinking that's what's normal, you know?
I'm moving to an island. Yeah. I want to have kids. That make you think like Caribbean. Yeah. Yeah. Sex addiction therapist who was his name is John Woods. He says that watching this porn to kids could be more addictive than doing drugs or alcohol. Great. Wow. Yeah. And the main reason is because there's so many parents out there that don't know how to do that. The control stuff on your computer and they don't know how to get all that software. Yeah. So just if you don't know how to do it, ask someone who does. Hire a specialist because it is so, so, so, so, so important. Kids today have computer classes. They know how to do that stuff that we didn't have growing up. It's a great idea. It's a great idea. Put this stuff on your computer. If you don't know how, figure it out. You have to. Lovely and talented Hillary's up next. We'll see you tomorrow morning at 6. Mikey shows out. The Lincoln Financial Radio Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
