KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Insight. I and me? Yeah. Weird. But they will, you know what they'll also insight? Probably dancing from Sienna and L.O.B. That's why you put them on there. And that's what's, that's what. Nice. Yeah. Inwardly, I'll dance. You're a button pusher. I'm not. You're trying to push my button. I'm not, Woods. I'm not. I'm trying to just let me be me. Really, Mikey? You know, dude, I like what I like. No, you don't. I do, too. No, you don't. I do. No, you don't. I think you like what I like. You just won't admit it. Like an old married couple. You just won't admit it. Weird. Man, dude.
I have guilty pleasures, but they're good. Good is when it gets in your ears, and it's like candy. The sound of it coats your eardrum in this audible candy. A hard candy-coated shell. No, I'd say more of a gooey caramel. Nougat? What is nougat? It's gross. Warm caramel, warm nougat. What is nougat? Nougat. Yeah. Does anybody really know what nougat is? It's inside of a candy, but we don't really know what it is. Nougat. I don't know. It's... Sienna is working so feverishly because the elections were last night. She is working right now. It's been a crazy morning. It's like Connie Chung over here. Sienna, don't worry about it. None of us get it. None of us. I don't get it. She's red. I know. She's... I take my job seriously. I know, but... Like, you know, I consider myself halfway smart, and I don't get it. We need a specialist. I know. We need to get a specialist. We need a specialist. Specialist. If anybody's listening that really understands the elections and what we were doing last night and when we were voting, or some of us were, then let us know. 570-1949.
I always feel, what's the matter, L.O.B.? What's the matter? The stupid webcam won't work. I don't care about that webcam. Close that. I don't care about anything this morning. I don't care about webcams. Okay. I don't. They can watch Jay. Hey, who's the one that didn't want the webcam? Who's the one that what? I didn't want the webcam. As soon as it doesn't start, a hundred people email. Why can't I see it? Why can't I see it? Because we're having technical issues with it. We'll get it going in like 30 minutes. Everybody can calm down. We got it. Did they email you, Jay? Oh, like wildfire. I'm glad people like it, though. I mean, if they like it, then it's worth it. Probably like seeing my naked belly every day. Who doesn't? I know I do. I know I don't. A little happy trail. Yuck. My sun tattoo around my belly button. Stop. Gross, gross. He doesn't really have a son. He doesn't. Just so you know. We can draw one on there real quick. You can call us, 570-1949. You can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. So many things. So many things are happening in the news. We'll get to the election stuff. And, again, if you understand what the issues were and if you understand what we were voting about last night, I genuinely want to know.
And I know what's going to happen. People are going to say what we were voting on last night. And I'm going to have some strong opinion about it, which I have no right to because I didn't vote. Yeah. I mean, you've seen the commercials. Whitman versus Poizner. You know, illegal immigration laws. I can't even pretend that I do know that. Really? Oh, those commercials have been everywhere. I know. They play those during Yankee games? That's it. I don't have TV, but I've seen the Meg signs around town. Yep. Lots of Meg everywhere. I'm an uninformed person, and it's awful. And I know I am. I'm sorry. I apologize. I inform you every morning. Please don't berate me on email or Facebook. I'm an idiot. I know it. Me, too. Me, three. I love me, four. She just is, she won't say it. But she's four. Hey, where's that giant bus? Jace, you want to throw me under? Well, listen. J5, all of us. We stick together. We don't know. We don't know. I've been too busy being dynamic. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah.
That's the deal. We're busy being dynamic. We got to sleep really early. I don't have a TV, so I don't get distracted so I can write better. Be dynamic. Be prepared for the Mikey show. Me too. That's what I'm in. I walked past a pole yesterday. Me too, which is even worse. Hey, check it out. M1 Ryan from Fallbrook is on the line. He can help us out. Yeah, Ryan. What? Hey, man. Brian. Hello, Brian. All right, I'll let it slide just one time. Thank you. We love you. Yeah, listen, dude, if you can help us. Help us. I can help you. What were we voting on? All I know yesterday is that the one sheriff is the one that wants to let us get a concealed weapons license. Really? He wants to hand those out like hotcakes. Really? So that's the one thing I voted on. Sheriff. You said no, right? Yeah.
Right. Is that Sheriff Bill Gore? He said yes. No, he said no. He said no. La Play or something. So you do not want us to be able to carry concealed weapons? Oh, I do. Oh, you do? Yeah. I would want that. I would too. Yeah, because I would want the right to be able to carry a concealed weapon. Now, let me explain. Do you want the right for some crazy Joe Schmo to be carrying a concealed weapon? No, but here's the quote. See, this is what you got to think through. It isn't the crazy Joe Schmo that goes through the legal process to carry a concealed weapon. Yes, it is. No, it isn't. The crazy Joe Schmo. No, I actually know these statistics. The people that have murdered people in mass, those people are not like the. I'm going to go and fill out a thing and I'm going to have a background. Those people, the wackos and the criminals. But a lot of serial killers are very intelligent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. But the deal is that, well, first of all, serial killers, very few serial killers other than the Atlanta child murderer and son of Sam were gun killers. Most of them are personal killers, meaning they do it with a knife or whatever. They're not a lot of gun carriers. So these types of laws.
They affect Second Amendment people like myself, regular Joes, people that are into or people that, you know, for their God given American rights, say I'm a gun owner of the right to carry a concealed weapon. And I'm going to go through the process, which, by the way, isn't easy. The process to be able to carry a concealed weapon is not easy. You do not get it by going down. filling out a form and saying okay that's it i want a concealed weapon well you guys remember i just moved here from texas where you can carry a concealed weapon my brother has his concealed license and you know it's it's it's a little scary at first but you know what man it's it's what does he want it for protection when when he's just walking he has it in his car keeps it in his car yeah the police love it they love it when there's i mean seriously my buddy has one in texas in houston and he They just, the cops pulled him over, and he's like, is there a weapon in the cart? It's the first question they asked. He's like, yes. And they're like, all right, well, you can go ahead and go then. Wow. So Sheriff Gore, Sheriff Gore was elected last night, Ryan, or Brian. Oh, then that was the wrong sheriff. That was the wrong sheriff? Yeah, it was LeSuer, S-U-E-R. Yeah, that was him. His name is Jay, coincidentally. Small world.
I guess I should tell you guys I've been elected. See you later. So which one was actually elected? LeSueur. No. Gore. Well, I'm reading an article right now. It's in front of me. It says that it was a really, really close race. One race that have a lot of people watching. 13% of the... The precincts reported Sheriff Bill Gore, who replaced Bill Colander, was leading. So Bill Gore was leading with 61% of the vote, ahead of Jim Duffy with 21%, and LeSueur, who trailed with 19%. So right now, yeah, LeSueur was not the one. No concealed weapons. I guess we just have to carry him around legally. Oh, Brian, do you have any other little gems that you can give us from the elections last night, or were you only into that issue? No. is pretty much the only one. I hate for it to be only one, but... What do you call this election? Gotta take what you can get, right? Yeah. Thank you, Brian. I'll take what I can get. I was thinking primary. I don't know. God, I'm an idiot. It's the only word I know. Primary. Primary. Electoral. It's the electoral primary. A state primary? State electoral.
Political word you know. Yeah, I think it was the delegates that were. The state primary congressional center. Congressional center. We talked to the whip. You guys, it is the primary. Bronwyn's Democratic primary. Yeah. Nice word. I got a question for you, Mike. Speaking of guns, this is a very interesting topic because we have two guns in my house. Yeah. Oh, I'm not coming over. We have two guns. Well, Jamie's stepfather, Ray, who passed away, was a... sheriff in Dallas. And we have his 38 snub nose and we have his 45. Which is like a hand cannon. And I loaded them both up last night and put them in little ottoman next to my desk. Jamie's like, you can't load those. Not in the ottoman next to my bed. And she's like, you can't load those. Because if you shot somebody, you could get in trouble because they're not registered. Did you just say that on the air? Yeah, what do I do? I'm asking for advice. How do I do that? Have a cop call us right now and tell us how to help you. Is that right? Yeah. And also, it doesn't matter who you are as a gun owner. This is just my advice to any gun owner. Yeah, give me some advice. As a gun owner, invest the extra money to put them in something that is safe. That way, if your friend Mike comes over with his three-year-old and your three-year-old is wandering around, you know what I mean? Seriously. I mean, with us.
When accidents happen, that's how accidents happen. You lose them for a second, and they're in there, and they're playing. What's this? Bang. You know what? I'm going to get a little safe. I got a great one, dude. Do you? It's a great one. I'm going to get a safe. Can I tell you something that scares me? What? I stayed with my brother last weekend. I went back to New Jersey, stayed with him, and him and his wife were telling me this story that he woke up. He does half sleepwalking kind of things. He woke up, and... thought that she was possessed like saying something to him but she was fully awake and was getting scared that he was getting scared of her yeah and she says they keep uh like a nine iron like a golf club under the bed and uh just in case yeah and so she's like i want him to get that out of there because i'm afraid that he's gonna do that again and start like clubbing me right so what if What if he has a gun or something? That's what scares me. That's your brother-in-law? That's my brother. I think your brother is not a good candidate for a gun. No. But that's never happened to him before. It just started happening. If it just started happening, I would say he's probably not a good candidate for golf at this point. And he's probably not a good candidate for Benny Hanushev. Baseball. Baseball. Samurai. If that's the deal.
That's been around since the beginning of time. But what if somebody never knew that they would do that and they'd just wake up in like a panic and pow. That's what I'm afraid of. Accidents happen. I'm pretty sure the house is haunted. I'd get out. I mean, that's what happened in The Shining, too. Yeah, I mean, I think that you just have to. This is not a new thing. You know, guns have been around and we've been able to own guns for. But doesn't stuff like that happen? That's what scares me, too. Like, I can't see. I wear contact lenses. And if I couldn't get a hold of my glasses and all of a sudden, and if I had a gun, I might just point and shoot at, like... I mean, Jay has a musket. Jay has a musket, and he never goes off. I have a full-on cannon, too. In a bayonet. Show it to you if you want to see it. I want a cannon. Jay's loading gunpowder. It's well worth it. You're not making mistakes that way. You're like, hold on. Hold on, I'm going to get this thing in there. Stay there. If you're a gun owner, though, and you have a gun for protection, and somebody's in your house, they're not supposed to be.
What if you mistake somebody? Who are you going to mistake at 2 o'clock in the morning that's supposed to be there? What if I can't see well or I'm in the middle of a dream and I think it's like, like I said, it's my fictitious husband, but I think it's an intruder. You know your husband from an intruder. Aim low. Lauren, just aim low. If you're all disoriented. He would say, it's your husband. And you'd be like, oh yeah, it's my husband. I can tell by his voice. Just take out a knee. It's your husband. Bye. Honey, what are you doing? It's me, babe. It's me. You know, because unless you're Annie Oakley and you got that thing, you know. On your side. Yeah. It's under your pillow. It's cocked and ready to go. You're Annie Oakley and you're completely weird. It doesn't happen that way. You think I could get in trouble for having hollow point bullets too? We have people calling. Why don't you just tell everything that you got going on? We don't keep secrets. M1J5 from San Diego. Good morning. How are you guys? Morning. Hey, first, those hollow point bullets are premeditated, so I would put round nose in if you're going to keep a gun loaded under your pillow. Okay, yeah, we got them because, like I said, her stepfather was a cop and had them. So those are the only bullets we have. Maybe I invest in some new bullets. That would be a good idea. If it was her father, he could have given those to her, and you wouldn't need to register them at all. Okay. If it's a stepfather, I'm not real sure, but I'm sure that you want to register them.
And a way to go about it is you can either go to a gun store and they register them there. It's kind of a private party registration. Sure. But you can go online. It costs $19, and you print out this application from the Department of Justice, DOJ, and it's self-registration. You put all your information in. You mail it in. It costs $19. They mail you a little thing back saying the gun is yours. Huge. Thank you, man. Yeah, we appreciate that. DOJ, I'm going to make it right. Percentage chances at Woods is really going to make that right. I will, dude. He's going to text Jamie during commercials. If anything would happen to anybody, it would be me. I'd cap some guy and I'd end up in jail. I'm on Carla from San Diego. Hi. Morning. So I'm pretty prone to sleepwalking and I have four guns. Whoa. Yeah, I mean. I think that there's a lot of people prone to sleepwalking that don't shoot their, you know. Well, no, we don't. But here's the thing. One thing that my dad taught me, my dad's a retired police chief, is the first sound in every one of the guns is snake shot. So when you guys are talking about, like, what if I shoot somebody on accident when they walk in the door? How do I know if somebody's breaking into my house? Well, if there's still...
If they've got the balls enough to keep coming after you fired the first round and it didn't hear anything because it's snake shot. What does the snake shot mean, Carla? It's a small load. It's got a little tiny, tiny pellet. It's like half the size of a BB gun. It still hurts, though, doesn't it? It hurts real good. It'll bruise the skin, but it's not going to penetrate the skin. Snake shot scares me to death. Well, thank you, Carla. That's good to know. I feel safer with that information. For sure. I have my gun in a safe. What do you got? A 9mm. Oh, mamacita. I don't even know what that means, but I like what it means. It means it's a good one. It's an H&K. Oh, boy. And H&Ks are good. And my brother, you know, I grew up around guns. See, people will be afraid of guns. Like my wife, terrified of guns. But the reason is because she... A lot of times you will be afraid of what you don't know. And she doesn't know anything about guns. And I understand that. We should go shooting, all of us. No. You should try it. You should be informed. You're an informed person. My grandma for Christmas gave Todd.
A bunch of gift certificates of shooting range. Nice. Is that the greatest gift? If he's not going to use them? No, he wants to go. He hasn't gone yet, though. Yeah. He's never done it. You know what's right around the corner here is we can go shoot skeet. They have a full-on skeet shooting thing. Skeet, skeet. It's right around the corner. So much fun. I would love it. My brother and I are considering a trip together with a guide and dogs and the whole deal for quail. You? Yeah, because I loved it. I grew up hunting with my brother. You did? Yeah, with Mark. You grew up hunting? Yeah, that's why I love guns. Do they have wireless out there? I guess it's the only break from my wireless deal, right? Would you bring your phone with you? Yeah, I grew up dove hunting with my brother. Dove hunting? Yeah, I've done that too. Doves? Yeah, I don't want to hunt dove anymore though. Why? Because they taste filthy. Quail's good. Quail's delish. I don't want to kill anything I'm not going to eat. Dove is the international symbol of peace. And love. Yeah, maybe blow their head off with a shotgun. Oh, my God. And they don't taste very good, even when you smother them in a crock pot with cream and mushroom soup and put them over rice, which is the only way we used to cook them. And that's the thing. Like, my brother, he won't shoot anything unless he's going to eat it. That's good. He's not going to waste something, you know? That's good. But quail is good. Are you going to take a little quail head and maybe mount it in the office? We have quail every Christmas.
We make like six dozen little quail from a huge family. They taste real good. So good. Dove doesn't taste very good. Look at L.O.B. It's all sad. Hey, we didn't just take, though. We ate. I made sure we ate. I can't believe people hunt doves. You know what, though? I'll tell you, L.O.B., it's better that they hunt them. Because if they don't hunt them, they become overpopulated and they starve. How do you know that? Because I'm a hunter. Isn't that something that hunters just say to make themselves feel better? No, that's why the state of Arizona will allow it, you know, because there's issues. Issues. Yeah, that's why limits change each year, too. They kind of change it depending on the overpopulation. Who's the natural predator for doves? Mikey. Eagles and hawks and things? Mexicans. Mexicans named Mikey with a 12-gauge. No, they... You know, they just become so overpopulated. I can't think of anything more disturbing of an image to me to see. I don't do Dove anymore. A Dove. It's so different. I probably would feel the same. You know, the only reason that I don't is because I remember at five years old, the deodorant that I wear is Menon Speed Stick. There's a reason for it. When I was five, I got to go stay with my brother, Mark. And I remember...
getting to sleep in the same bed with my brother, Mark, because the next morning we were waking up at four o'clock in the morning to get up and go hunting. And I remember being snuggled up against my brother at five years old, not much older than my son Jake is now. And I could smell my brother's deodorant and that sense of safety. And just that's my big brother. I wear men and speed stick to this day because of that. And it was the coolest memories in the world going out with him. And hunting. But my brother's a play it by the book kind of guy. Oh, I bet. He doesn't do anything unless it's the rules. You don't mess around. There's no like, there's no doing anything outside of what you're supposed to. If they say the limit's five, you're not taking six. It's work. He's out there working. Yeah. You know, and he's got all the phrases down. Like, are we going to catch anything? He's like, it's not shopping. Wow. It's a sport. Would you ever shoot anything or have you ever shot anything other than a bird? Yeah. What have you? What'd you shoot? Rabbit. A little rabbit. Oh, grow up. It was a big rabbit. You're from Texas. I don't shoot animals unless they're birds. I don't like birds. Birds are filthy. Well, that was the thing. It was like when I was a kid, I would do whatever, you know, just shoot whatever we would go hunting for. But now I have thought in it, you know, like this time he wants to go dove hunting. I said, Mark, I don't really like the taste of them. I said, so I don't want to take them. I'm not going to take their life if I'm not going to eat them.
You didn't hunt woods? No, dude. I couldn't shoot. Man, I couldn't shoot a deer or anything. I just couldn't. I killed my first deer when I was seven. Yeah, I thought that was like, what's the deal in Texas? Couldn't do it, man. It was insane. It kind of broke my heart, though. Yeah, of course it did. For a guy who doesn't eat meat now. Yeah, it's sad. I can't shoot a big thing. What about, LLB, what about a spider? What about it? Would you kill a spider? I try to scoop it up in a cup and throw it out. Weird. Actually, well, for the most part, I let spiders chill. I'm so afraid of them. But if they're up high and stuff, I let them chill because I figure they're getting all the other junk. What about flies? Will you swat flies? Would you ever use a fly swatter? No. Have you ever? No. Never? I don't want to say never. If I was, I don't know. Even in like August when they're everywhere. Because you know that's an animal. Yeah, I know. But it's an ugly one. I know. Yeah, ugly animals are fine to kill. I know the bit. Ugly animals are fine. Snakes, spiders, mice. I mean, and I'm not, like, I'm not a vegetarian. You know what I would shoot is a boar. A wild boar. No, I still don't think I can do it. They taste gross. I don't care. I want to kill them. I don't know. There's just something so, like, the picture of, like, a dove, I just am like, oh, that's so beautiful. Bam! Yeah, the feathers. No! No!
Like a firework. See, that's what I meant. Is it red blood against white feathers? No, gray feathers. But there was nothing. They're gray. The doves are gray. They're not white. Well, I mean, they have white ones. Virgins. That's not the... Virgins. The virgin dove. But that's not what you see here in California and Arizona. They're gray. They look just like the cover of that laptop. Really? The exact same color. But they're just as beautiful. Do they look like pigeons? Yes. They do look like small little pigeons. Maybe I'd be okay with that. I'd like to shoot a hawk. Yeah, maybe. See if they're not all white and pretty. Or an owl. Yeah, I think hunting with my dad's made me quit eating meat. Because it's just like, I think back now, I remember hunting quail. And it wasn't quite dead. It was still going. Yeah, break its neck. And he just stepped on its head. My brother didn't do that. My friends would take the, to clean it and stuff, they'd take the dove or whatever. And they'd just take the head and go. And they'd pop it off. You throw it. Yeah, you throw it. You have to learn to just do it. My brother hated it. My brother hated that. Oh, it's repugnant. But he would, but my brother Mark, all business. Oh my God. Didn't like it. So all business. Didn't like it, but it was part of the business. Part of what you do. And I would get all flustered. And he would say, this is hunting. This is what, it's not a choice. It's not a choice. You know, do I want to go hunting?
You know what hunting is about. We get up at this time. This is where we're going to go. These are the rules. This is what you do with your gun. This is where your gun goes. This is where. So there's lots of hunters that were like, yeah, I know that's the rules, but here's how I kind of put them here. I can't do my own thing. No. Mark did and does exactly what the rules are. We'd be good hunters based on our schedule. That's right. We'd get up at 8 o'clock in the morning like, what's up? Lindsay Lohan has been arrested. Weird. We'll tell you what that's all about. Also. There is new news on BP. This one may get you. Got me. And how come men don't offer seats to certain women on planes? When I read this, I was like, you guys got to explain this. Not just planes, buses, trains. We'll explain all of this. Oh, and you know what else we're going to be talking about? Strasburg pitched his first game last night for the Nationals. San Diego State's very own Steven Strasburg.
And we're going to tell you how fast his pitches were. You know, what kind of adrenaline would you have as a young man if you're pitching your first game in the major leagues to a sold-out audience? So what kind of adrenaline did he have? How fast did he pitch? But moreover, how many people did he strike out? How many people did he strike out in his major league debut? We'll tell you next. a part of The Mikey Show now. 470-1949. Or text 949mikey at gmail.com. More of The Mikey Show coming up in minutes.

Trevor Davis. Dr. Seahol. Welcome back. Is he a local guy? He is a local dude. Systems of trend. Let's see. So much stuff. Okay, so, yeah, Sienna, Lindsay Lohan got arrested? Yes.
What's the deal? Well, yesterday, a bench warrant was issued for Lindsay Lohan's arrest. Yesterday afternoon, after a judge determined that the alcohol was in her system, after the MTV Movie Awards, there was alcohol in her system, so it activated her scram bracelet. So it went off Sunday night, and the judge, Marsha Revell, called an emergency hearing yesterday and set a new bail for Lindsay at $200,000. So... Yeah, the warrant has been recalled because the bail was posted, Lindsay. Obviously, it has a little bit of money. But she had immediately claimed it was wrong. She got on Twitter to do so. Real weird. She said, my scram wasn't set off. It's physically impossible considering I've had nothing for it to go off. Yes, dude. I mean, it doesn't just go off, right? Right. No. Yeah. And we sat here last week and we watched that judge issue down.
You know, hey, Lindsay, this is it. This is what's going to happen. And you better abide by these rules. Are you okay with that? Yes, ma'am, I am. Look at her, man. Two days later or something. Yeah, I'm going to hang on. I'm going to wait until the judge has a chance to look at everything and go, yeah, you violated it and you're done. I think I'm just going to go ahead and vilify her now. I think that's going to be my bit. Yeah. Lindsay Lohan. She asks, people just leave her alone. Oh, no problem. Don't you just know that I'm happy and well and accept that? Yeah, we'll leave you alone when your movies come out, too, and your crappy records. But that's the difference. She doesn't want you to then. She wants you to be all about her. She's an entertainer, so she wants you to buy into her product. That doesn't mean she has to sell her personal. I think she's a real talented actress, man. When she's clean and sober, dude, she's real good. She's a real Meryl Streep. I know it seems like because she's such a train wreck, it's super easy to be like, she's ridiculous. Kind of the same Britney Spears did. She's actually a really talented kid. Yeah. She's just a wreck. She was a talented kid. You're right. I see what you're saying. She was a talented kid. She hasn't done anything worth a flip since Mean Girls, maybe? That's it. Oh, I don't know what she's done. I think everything she's done has gone.
Well. Yeah. Mean Girls, I think, was the most. Maybe because she's not dedicated to her craft. But she's a talented kid. She's got the talent. Why don't men offer seats to pregnant women? What is that? There is a parenting website called Gurgle. And they. had a thousand members indicate that more than 84% of pregnant women have not been offered a seat on full trains, planes, buses, stuff like that. Because why do you guys think that if you were a man and you were sitting down, why wouldn't you offer a pregnant woman a seat? I wouldn't. I wouldn't. And I'll tell you exactly. I'll just be completely transparent in my reasoning. You wouldn't offer a seat? No. Wow. Well, now maybe I would. Okay. But the only reason that I wouldn't is because I'm so in my own little world. Really? Yeah. That it doesn't matter what I'm doing or where I am. What if a little old lady walked on the bus? I'm telling you, L.O.B., if I got off the bus or whatever, somebody would say to me, who was on that bus right now? And I would go, I don't know, was there a famous person on there? And they'd say, no. Can you describe to me what you actually observed around you? And I would say...
I have no idea. You need to be more aware. Probably because I would be on my phone while I'm on there. I believe you. I would be, it wouldn't be because I saw a pregnant woman and went, you can stand. Or because I saw an old woman and went, oh, you're an old woman. It would be because I didn't even take, as a, in general, when I'm on a bus, wherever I am, I'm in my own little fog of phone, whatever. When you get to the, we don't have it as much here because, well, number one, we all have cars, but when you're on a form of public transportation where you know there's going to have to be the inevitable person that has to stand, I think you might be more aware of like, I've got a seat and you have to kind of be like, all right, well, if a child or an elderly person or a pregnant person comes on, you're kind of like, oh, okay, like I'm kind of privileged to have this seat. Sometimes I'm more aware of my surroundings than others. But I'm trying to be honest and I'm going that I recognize that I am so self-absorbed in phone stuff and I just, I'm not very aware of what's around me. When was the last time you took public transportation though? I did for, yeah, I did when we were on vacation. We were on vacation and we took a shuttle bus. Aren't you worried about crazy people? I always look to see if there's somebody dangerous. You know, I'm always like, okay, first off, how do I get out of here if something happens? Number two.
Is there anybody dangerous in the crowd? Man, for five years, I rode the trains in Chicago, and, dude, I would give up my seat all the time. What did the survey say? To women, to pregnant women, whatever. The survey said, and, I mean, it's a pretty legitimate reason I would give guys is that they're too afraid that maybe the woman's not pregnant. She's just heavy. Oh, boy. Yeah, but you could steal off her seat. As a woman, you could say. Oh, yeah, and they don't, and that's why it's just, I mean, the survey says, you know, really. If she is or if she isn't, you should offer it to her. But, you know, if she's insulted, it's nicer that you do a nice gesture. Absolutely. Like, think about you're doing a nice gesture. You should always, always offer yourself. You know what your boy did the other day? What? In the parking lot of, where was I at? Stater Brothers? What? Or one of the grocery stores. I helped a little old lady get her groceries in her car. That's sweet, dude. Real sweetly. It's really nice. Dude, she was old as dirt. She was struggling with like a can. It makes me so sad. Let me get that for you. Yeah, I will do things like that if I'm not in La La Land. Mikey Land? Yeah, if I'm not in Mikey Land and I notice things, then I do. You're a very helpful guy. Yeah. My sister-in-law commutes from New Jersey to New York City into Times Square where she works. And she said repeatedly she would be standing there. Like, she's a very thin girl, so it's clear.
when she had her belly. She was pregnant and she said repeatedly she would even like even when people are supposed to be sitting in those seats that are reserved for people that have like special needs or something she would just be forced to stand because of when her stop was and nobody ever gave her seat. Never. Ever. New York? Yeah. Forget it. Forget it. Yeah. For sure. To push you out of the way, dude. Let's see. Okay, so yeah, I need to know about some... I need the gold. That's right. Thank you. You're going to get it right here. We're going to hear about Strasburg, San Diego's very own. Well, last night I was deep, deep in show preparation in my office with my headphones on, and I got a text from M1 Matt. And he says, dude, you watching Strasburg? Finished what I was doing. Ran in the other room. I put the game on and just kicked back for the next hour and a half and watched this kid. Deal. San Diego State's very own. Deal. Steven Strasburg. So cool. Oh, my God. We watched this. I texted Mikey. Mikey had the game on. Sold out crowd in D.C. I can't believe it. Second sellout of the year. Probably opening day was probably the first. But I've been waiting for this, man. I've been wanting to see this kid.
He's a freak. Yeah, he is. The verdict is in he's a freak. In a good way. He was hitting, I don't know if he got 100. I don't know if I saw him, but 99 was steadily. Steadily 99. Steadily. Insane. Not once every, in the seventh inning, 99. Yeah. Okay? He struck out 14 last night in his Major League debut. More importantly than that, didn't walk any body. No walks. Incredible. So he, here's the scary thing about this kid. He's got perfect mechanics. He'll be able to pitch like this forever. His mechanics are perfect. He's not going to hurt his arm. Knock on wood. Knock on wood. It's kind of a jinx. He has one of the filthiest hooks I've ever seen, which is a curveball to the layman. And his changeup is still 90 miles an hour and ridiculous. So I was sitting there. All the guys on my baseball team and I, we were like riding back and forth on Facebook. Like, maybe we get him. Maybe we get him on our squad. How old is he? He's 20. I'm around Burgundy. He's 20. I don't know. Young kid. Young kid. I mean, and for him to come out and have command of all three of those pitches, strike out 14 batters, and get the win, it was incredible. It's going to sound really cheesy, but I don't care. It was literally, for me, a diehard baseball fan, it's like watching a symphony. Truly. Everything was working in... Oh, he's 21. Everything was working in...
In conjunction with everything else. It was unbelievable. He is 6'3 or something. He is so strong. And to watch those fastballs. Insane. Yeah. I mean, it visibly looks different than any other pitcher you see pitching. It explodes out of his hand. And it gets on the batter so quick. And then they're standing there like, okay, that was 99 miles an hour. Then he throws an 87-mile-an-hour curveball that almost breaks their leg. You're done. Wow. Way to show up. Good for him. Oh, man. It was so money. But here he is actually talking about his debut, Mike. Cut one. Nope. Come on. Pastry. Pastry. Refresh. It's a refresh. Really, pal? Here comes Jay. Jay to the rescue. I just think it's amazing, though. There's a lot of pressure on him, and he could have choked. First game in the major leagues. It was a huge deal, yeah. He's a very humble guy. He's a Christian guy. He's very strong in his faith, yeah. And he's just a good dude, and here he is. You can tell. Cut one. I'm just so fortunate and blessed because not too many guys have a debut like this in front of a sellout crowd. Everybody's out there supporting me. It's kind of weird. It just flew by so fast.
It's so fast. And, you know, I always felt like I was so close to the big leagues. And now to say that I'm here, you know, it's almost surreal. But, yeah, it's just a dream come true, let me tell you. That is so cool. You got the pie in the face, the whole thing. No way. So cool, man. It's great. It's just good to see somebody live up to the hype. And, hey, granted, he's got a long way to go, but what a debut. What a way to start. Also, the Padres were not so lucky last night. They went to extra innings against the Mets, and they weren't able to seal the deal. They lost 2-1. They had won four in a row in extra innings, which is remarkable. But this is just my take. They need a bat, man. They've got to get a bat in that lineup. Maybe make a move for a bat because if you want to stay in contention, which you are, you're no longer in first place. Dude, you got to get a bat in that lineup. Who's in first place now? The Dodgers. Yeah. They're not scoring any runs, man. So, unfortunately, the loss, like I said, knocked them out of first place for the first time since April 19th. So, been playing pretty good baseball, and they still are. And it was, you know, a very close game. Yeah. Oh, real quick. Watching Strasburg last night. First thing I did, I went to my computer, and I said, when are the Nationals coming to San Diego?
They've already come. We missed them. They're not going to be here all year. It's a bummer. Bummer. Also, Michael, I'm wondering if Paul Pierce, the Celtics player, will ever stop flapping his gums, man. He made a comment over the weekend. Remember the first series? He goes, I need a broom. Y'all get me a broom and a sweep. Well, they didn't sweep that series. Now he said the Celtics would not have to come back to L.A., meaning they'd won one in L.A. They're going to take care of the next three at home. Really? Git. How about that? Maybe keep talking. I'm not mad. Maybe keep running. Where's the series at now? While the Lakers came out last night, they won 91 to 84. Two to one. Two to one Lakers. Yeah. Derek Fisher, who Kobe calls the heart and soul of the team, came up really big. He held Ray Allen zero for 13 from the field. Nice. His defense was sick. Here he is getting choked up about his bunch. Cut two. Sorry. Just faith, man. You know, I'm sorry. I'm getting emotional. You know, we work hard in this game. And sometimes things don't go your way, but you just got to keep working hard, keep believing in yourself and in your team. And this is just a great win for our organization. And we're not done yet. We got a big game on Thursday night. Big win, but why so emotional? I love this game. I love this team. I love this guy. I love what I do. And nothing means more to me than helping my team win.
How great is that? I got goosebumps when I heard it this morning. Well, what's so great is all these guys that make these millions and millions of dollars doing this, and you can tell they just love playing basketball. He's one of them. Did you watch any of the game last night? Oh, yeah. Okay, I'm totally on board with you about the Boston fans. Dude, they are so loud and obnoxious. I was like, oh my gosh, be quiet. You can't hear anything. It's out of control. I like them. I like them, period, and I'm not a Lakers fan, sorry. I'm on it. Hey, I don't have any allegiance to any basketball team. They're the closest to us. And so I'm like, all right, I'll be a Laker fan. Lakers. And then finally, to wrap it up, a couple of Chargers notes for you. Recently arrested Charger Kevin Ellison was back at practice. He had been asked to sit on a mini campus to not be a distraction. If you guys don't remember, it's a guy that was arrested with 100 pills of Vicodin. He did not speak to media yesterday. And his court date is July 7th in Torrance.
And Malcolm Floyd, also who signed his one-year tender yesterday or the day before yesterday, was back on the field. He was a little rusty, but he was getting a lot of looks from Phillip Rivers. So I don't know about you guys. I'm ready for football, too. Oh, yeah. I am for sure. That's Woods on sports, pal. Let's see. So Chris Brown got barred from going to Britain because of beating up Rihanna. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure we all remember he pleaded guilty last year to a felony charge of assaulting Rihanna. And he was supposed to have a show in Scotland. And then he was going to have three more shows this week in the UK. And they said, look, we have the right to kick this guy out if we think that, you know, he's... you know, could be a problem. Sure. He's a criminal. We don't want him in our country, basically. And so Chris Brown can't go in there. He's like, it's nuts, I think. Chris Brown got on Twitter last night and said, you ever feel like storm clouds are too thick for any sunshine to get through? Think I'm going to go away. Yeah. You ever feel like maybe you shouldn't have beat up your girlfriend? No.
Yeah, the U.K. said public safety is one of our primary concerns. Consequence, right? Yeah. It's a consequence. It's absolutely. I mean, it's pretty nuts, though. I mean, that didn't happen too long ago. A year ago. Hopefully his charges, you know, they'll clear up if he stays out of trouble. My son Luke is on the line. He's 10 months old. What is he? Hi, Lukey. A little sleepy. Hey, dude, I need your credit card number. First of all, my name's not Dude. It's Daddy. I said Dad. I thought you said Dude. I said Dad, Dude. Okay, forgive me. You're yelling. He said Dude. Top of your lungs. Am I? Yep. I need your credit card number. Luke's 10 months old. He's one of the twins. His brother's Ryan. Here, here, here. I need your credit card number. Why do you want my credit card number? Because I want to go to the World Cup in South America. What are you talking about? What are you talking about? You want to go to the World Cup? It's freaking starts Friday morning. Soccer. Really? Yeah, dude. I need to get a flight now. You just said Dude. I heard it clearly that time. My name is... You said, yeah, dad. Okay. All right. All right. Mexico is playing. You should be all in on that. Really? I know you're a Mexican, too. Am I? Maybe hold me up to a mirror once in a while. I'm Lily White, pal. Okay. I look like mom. All right. You look a little bit like mom. You do. Hey, I look like Edward Cullen. I look like Edward Cullen. Give me your credit card so I can go to the World Cup.
I'm not going to give you my credit card. Weird. Okay, listen to me. Listen to me. You're 10 months old. You have no reason to be going to the World Cup. Spikes are only $3,700. How do you know that? I've got to get tickets for the game. How do you know that? Five grand. How do you know that? Because I got on your iPad. You're 10 months old. Get off my iPad. You can't spell. Little baby prints all over it. Yeah. You can't put little baby fingerprints. Can't I? Applesauce. Spitting up. Yeah. Spit up applesauce. I never get to do anything I want to do. Go play with your brother. Go play with Ryan. Yeah, get it, dude. Yeah, and watch some, I don't know. Maybe watch some Elmo stuff. Tell the tubbies. Tell the tubbies. Maybe not. Maybe I want to go watch some World Cup soccer. Okay. Give me your credit card. I'm not. Knock yourself out. I'll talk to you when I get home. You're grounded. You know what time. I tell you every day we talk, I tell you I'm off at 10. Get off the phone. Get off the phone. Luke. All right. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. What are you going to do, Mike? That guy is a handful. I am the father. What are you going to do?
I don't know. I don't know, but he's out of control. He's a handful. He's a handful. You're Mexican. So is he, you know? What can I drink to make me get in better shape? There's apparently some stuff I can drink to get me in better shape. Water is on the list. Yes, we have to drink a lot of water. How much water do you drink, Mike? Please say apple juice. 100 ounces a day. Is that what you drink, Mike? Drink over 100 ounces a day now. That's amazing. Please say apple juice. Gaining weight every day. I had some delicious apple juice this morning. Martinelli's the best. Martinelli's in the little apple glass. That's supposed to be good for you to lose weight? No, but it's delicious. I got a good apple juice for you. What is? Swear off the soda and... Mike? Yeah. No iced tea. What? Yeah. What about unsweetened iced tea? I can't have anything. I can't have anything. I can't have anything. Because whenever we go out, Mike only drinks water. He's completely cut out soda. He used to drink it every day, a few a day. Yeah. And then now you're like, okay, well, I'll have an iced tea. Yeah. Fat as a house. Oh, no. You're not fat as a house. You look great. No. Drink eight cups of water every day, at least. God, that's disgusting.
This one says enjoy one, two, or even three yogurt-based smoothies a day. Really? They recommend that. Peanut butter fudge. I'm sure I will. It's good for your digestion. Avoid juice drinks. There's a lot of sugar in there. I drink a lot of juice. Juice is maybe worse than a Coke. Yeah. Shut up. So much sugar. Well, I mean, it might have more sugar. And that's the deal. See, sugar, here's what your body does. Your body goes, I'm going to use you, sugar. Come here, you. I'll use you until I need you. When I don't need you anymore, I'll take all that's left of you and I'll store you away. What if I have a gulp out of the thing of apple juice? That'll be fine. 80-20. 80-20 what? She says 80%. Tell them. 80%? 80% of the time, try to adhere to a diet for yourself and eat healthy. Realistically, what you think you can do healthy. And then 20% of the time, leave that wiggle room for yourself. I'm like 1090 right now. Is that bad? Me too. That's probably bad. Is that bad? Yeah, but you only live once. It's apple juice. You know what I mean? I keep going the rate I'm going to be dead in six years. Just don't have like eight apple juices a day. I don't. I have one Coke a day. What else? Drink coffee, not coffee drinks. So when you go to Starbucks, maybe forget about the Frappuccino. I don't have coffee drinks.
You have a half-calf. I drink coffee. Yeah? I don't have coffee drinks. What flavor? Just coffee. Coffee flavor? Yeah. Yeah, what she's talking about is having those frappuccinos and caramel lattes. Caramel macchiato. Yeah, caramel macchiato. Oh, they're so good, though. Delicious. The heist coffee with vanilla. Mm-hmm. I miss all that. Is that it? Yeah, you could lose 18 pounds if you just do the switch, drink coffee. It is so, oh, it's true though. You could drop 19 pounds in a year, drop getting rid of that juice. Lose 10 pounds if you drink yogurt-based smoothies. 19, yeah, I already told you 19 pounds if you get rid of the juice. Chris Rock was on Jay Leno last night and made Jay really, really uncomfortable. Good. Made my skin crawl listening to it. And we'll play that for you. I want to hear about how mountain lions are drawn to the scent of a certain cologne. Do you wear it? Oh, my God, it's better than I thought. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. It's my favorite song on the Crazy Heart CD. Really? My favorite one. I can't get enough of it. It'll stop playing, and I'll start it again. I like the Fallin' and Flyin' one. I love that. It's so good. I like Weary Kind. This is Jeff Bridges singing. Yeah. Isn't that incredible? He's so good. It's impressive. I think so, too. I mean, for a guy that doesn't make a living by singing, that's not bad. I was listening to the CD, actually, yesterday in the car, thinking, they're... Better than a lot of people that are out there getting paid to be. Yeah. Damn straight. That's right, Bad Blake. Was that Bad Blake? Bad Blake. How's that ham sandwich in your beard? It's not bad. Saving that for later? Yeah. You want a roll? Yeah, you want, hey, darling, you want a piece of steak? I think there's some carrots in there, maybe. Some whiskey? Maybe a roll? Bunch of old.
A bunch of old hippies. What's that used in your hair? Is that olive oil? No, that's actually aloe vera. Oh, okay. Mixed with Crisco. Crisco. Crisco went on The Tonight Show last night and had this to say. Have a seat, my friend. How you been? How you been, man? I'm all right. Last time I was here, you wasn't here. That's right, that's right. I was just ready. The guy told me you'd be right back. That's right. I don't think he said that, but yeah, but good to see you again. Well, he said you went to get something. I see. Keep going. And I kept waiting and you never showed up. Well, I'm here now. And now, what, what, what, what? Did you, what, did the redhead guy take Kevin? What the hell's going on? No, no, no, Kevin. No, Kevin. Because you know his van leader quit. His van leader's gone. Kevin's sitting on a beach somewhere relaxing. A beach where? I don't know where. A beach at the unemployment line? No, not at the unemployment line. Kevin's working with kids. He's got a whole program with high school kids. Kids? Stop it! Young on five, Kevin, and got a cheaper brother to take his place. The whole thing is so uncomfortable. Every time I hear Chris Rock, now I just think of Marty from Madagascar.
Dude, how uncomfortable is that? That's so creepy. He just kept going with it. Oh, he wouldn't leave it alone. He starts with Conan, which you know is making him come out of his skin. Oh, yeah. And he's just like, please don't talk about it. Please don't talk about it. And then he goes to the Kevin deal. I would have liked the one redhead reference and then keep going, but I'm like, come on, Chris Rock. You're better than that. Spun him out. This is pretty good, actually. Chris talking about this really strange habit that he still has. I remember you told me a long time ago you had some phobia about milk. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because when I grew up, we always used to have, like, secondhand refrigerators. Okay, yeah. Like, you ever go to the U's refrigerator store? Oh, that's a depressing place. Anyway, so... Our refrigerators was always sort of free. You never knew if it was working or not. So the milk would be spoiled all the time. So even today, I will only drink milk that was bought that day. Really? Yeah. If you don't drink it that day, that's it. Yeah, I'm like Jerry Lewis. I'm just like, yo.
How is that like Jerry Lewis? Jerry Lewis wears a new pair of white socks every day. Really? You didn't know that? I didn't know that. You call yourself a comedian? Wow. Holy God. Wow, it's just a roast. Kind of going for it, right? Hey, thanks for coming to my roast. Do you guys do anything like that where, you know, you were a kid, you got used to doing something a certain way as a kid, or maybe you were just skeeved out by something as a kid. Now. There's absolutely no rhyme or reason for you to still believe that way or for you to still feel that way, but you do it. I mean, I have weird habits that are OCD-ish from childhood that I still will cling to. I do something kind of weird. What? When I open a jar. Sometimes if it's harder to open, my mom had this trick where she would take the flat side of a butter knife and just bam, bam, bam, bam, hit the edges of the, and make these tiny little ridges, which made it easier to open. That's awesome. That's brilliant. And now, like, even if I, before I even try, I'm like, bam, bam, bam. Yeah. Yeah. Did your parents ever do the deal where they would take a jar and they would.
hit the jar on the side of the table. Yeah. And it would work. Yeah, it works. If you make a little, like, it dents it and it lifts it up from its little base. That must be the deal. Another bit you can do with a butter knife that you put right under the seal and you push down and it'll go. Really? And you can pop it right off. Of a jar? Of a jar. Like a pickle jar? Yeah. I was always so impressed as a kid and even now by people that can open up bottles. Without a bottle opener? Me too. You know, put them on the side of a counter and tap it. It comes off. That's so cool. I just hit my tooth trying to open it. You did? Don't use the mouth. Don't use your teeth. I have to bruise my hand. Can any of you guys do the whistle with the fingers? No, but my dad can. I can. You can do it? Oh, gosh. Oh, you son of a gun. I can do it with all my fingers, I can. Whoa, did I just do it? You just did it. Kind of. Not anymore. My friend Charlie can do like that. Maybe no more. Maybe stop trying. I should. Maybe practice another time. Maybe. He's spitting. Wow. Spitting and your face is turning red. Chill out. Pass out. Maybe you practice another time. You got lightheaded. Wow. So it's stressing me out. Maybe I'll stop. 570-1949-949-mikey at gmail.com is our text. Mountain lions are attracted to. Mountain lions are attracted to.
Calvin Klein? Obsession for men. You know why? It smells like pee. What? I'm being completely honest with you. There is, in a lot of colognes, pheromones. Now, these pheromones are the same chemical found in, believe it or not, urine. Here's the deal. It's a natural aphrodisia. It naturally is... It attracts. It attracts women. The opposite sex, yes. Yes. There is a thing that exists in the sweat of a man. It's a chemical that exists in the sweat of a man that is pleasing to a woman. Yeah, and vice versa. Vice versa, too. What if you're the guy that's your urine? Yeah, right? Where do they get it? No, no, no. It's a synthetic version of it? Yeah, synthetic. Are you sure it's not the real panther bits that they put? The real panther bits? What if you're the guy? That still wears obsession. Yeah. That's who I want to talk to. I'm sure there's a lot of guys. Really? Yeah. No. Really? You may have hit on something very specific. Yeah. Maybe this is like natural selection. Yes. Oh, gosh. Yeah. They're like, hey, that guy's still wearing obsession. I'm going to rip his throat out. Yeah. He's still wearing obsession for men. No guy has done that since 1989. Let's give him. I think let's feast.
What's the deal? Well, there's the people from the Wildlife Conservation Society. They've been testing this for like 10 years using different colognes and perfumes and stuff and spraying it around like on trees and just seeing what will draw in jaguars, pumas, tigers, you know, all kinds of cats. And I guess Calvin Klein's obsession is the one that does it. And these like cheetahs and stuff come up and they hang around for a while. Yeah, they want to do it. They want a taste. They rub up against the tree and get it up on them. Oh, they love it. You know why they're doing it? They want to mate. Well, no, why the wildlife conservation people are doing that. They know what not to wear? No, because there's been attacks on people in like parks and things like that. And instead of like, oh yeah, let's take out that mountain lion, they're trying to figure out like, okay, maybe if we tell the public. Try not to wear this. Don't wear your obsession. Don't wear any cologne, man. Uncle Rico, don't wear your obsession cologne. They said that, yeah, well, that's kind of what it shows, but the reason they did it is just to, you know, draw in the animals to get pictures of them and stuff. Oh, great. Like for magazines and for everything. Oh, that's good. What do you guys think of this? National Geographic. 5701-949, or you can text us, 949Mikey at gmail.com with your opinion on this. Mikey, you may be, this may be a good topic for your show, but you be the judge. My fiance.
just proposed to me over the Memorial Day weekend. I am thrilled, and so is he, because I know we're meant to be. Problem is, it's a second marriage for both of us, and I want a big wedding, and he wants to go to the courthouse and use justice of the peace. He said he has already been through the big wedding process, and he wants to keep it low-key. In other words, been there, done that. I have family who will be devastated by that. Do you have any advice? M1 Tommy girl. Well, my advice would be, this is a great time to institute compromise. You just do something kind of in between. Second marriage for both? Second marriage for both. Dude, save the money. Save the money, man. You've done it. Yeah. I mean, I don't want to totally discount her feelings and everything, but I mean, if it were me, I'd be going, you know, you've been through the process once. And since you've been through the process. I mean, it depends on the situation because what if she was like 19 or 18 just out of high school when she got married? Now maybe she's like 40 and she probably has a whole different group of friends, a whole different work environment and people that she would invite. And maybe it was a small wedding before and it really didn't mean anything and she just wasn't the one. It all depends. 570-1949 is the number. 949mikey at gmail.com.
If you would like to text us, M1 Julie. Yeah. How are you? I'm doing good. You're calling about this? Yeah. You can't say that word. I think she's, did she say something dirty? Yeah. I don't know. I didn't hit the button. That gave me a heart attack. I know it. I thought she said something dirty. She did. Let's see. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. What do you think about that? Wow. If it's your second, what are you going to do? I mean, I want to have her back, but it's like, you know. Well, like, I was Jamie's second marriage. And she was like, I don't care. I love you. I want to just be with you. I don't care what we do. And I was like, but I want to have a party with my friends for my family. So it was different. But you hadn't been down that road before. I hadn't been down the road before. So it's a little different. I promise you now.
If it happened, God forbid, I would not want to do the big deal again. Now. It would literally be like, let's go get our marriage license. Let's go to Hawaii for the weekend. You know? You can't discount somebody going, oh, man, this is totally going to hurt my family. This is totally going to hurt me. This is totally. You can't discount it. But at the same time, you're like, really? Whole big blown out deal. Again. Again? Another. Do you wear a white dress this time? Yeah. You know, this is the same bit. It just depends on how much it means to her. If it means a whole, whole lot and she's going to be upset and they're going to go into the marriage on the wrong foot because she's like, look, this is what I want. But if it's just kind of like, oh, why not? You know, I want to have a party. I agree with the compromise thing. It's pretty gnarly, man. Yeah. Let's see. We're getting some text messages about it. Mikey, I think they should be able to.
do whatever they want but you're right it's all about compromise if you're a guy why not just compromise with what your lady wants someone true luck if you get married again and you ask your friends you know to be bridesmaids and stuff like that does that mean the friends have to do like another bachelorette party and all of that over again if she wants it you kind of have to you kind of gotta do i mean i know people who have had multiple like my grandma was married a few times and she had Weddings every time. Yeah. Every time. My brother was married twice and his wife had never, you know, this was her, his second wife, this is her first go at it. So he was like, hey, I'm not going to deny that from her. For sure. You know. Yeah. M1, Tina from Mira Mesa. Good. They need to just take a six hour drive, go up to Vegas. Yeah. And invite the friends and family. She kind of gets a wedding. He kind of gets a courthouse.
And they're done. I love it. I like it. I love it. They've got the strip there where they can enjoy all weekend, buffets. Just have a good time. That's not a bad idea. I love it. For my second marriage. It was my husband's first. It was my second. He didn't really care. So I said, well, let's just go to Vegas. I didn't want to do all that all over again. It's a good idea. You know, a 19 right out of high school, got married the first time. And I was like, no, we don't need to do that anymore. Thanks for the call. I like that. After planning a wedding, it makes me sick to think about doing it again. Like, no, I'm done. I wouldn't do it again. Let's see. So, last night were elections. Again, if anybody knows about any of that stuff, feel free to call us. I'd love to talk about it. Inform us. Like, if anybody works for an ABC or NBC affiliate, maybe you're covering the elections and you want to call us. Let us know. Yeah. We'll have a correspondent. Yes. Yeah, all I want to know is just the basic facts. The issues. The issues. The San Diego Fair, by the way, has a bunch of freebies and discounts that they're going to be doing.
Really cool stuff. Like what? Well, first of all, the fair opens. You guys know when? Friday. Friday, yeah. June 11th. So kids are going to be real excited. It's going to be real crazy. And expect a little bit of traffic if you drive on the five, guys. But here's a few ways to save some cash. Children 12 and younger who read 10 books and complete a certificate can get free admission for any day of the fair. I'll put all this stuff on my blog so you can get all the information. Also, San Diego County Toyota dealers are offering a two-for-one admission coupon. You can use the coupon for up to four tickets. Now, through July 5th, AT&T is offering a discount coupon that offers $11 off of a package of a fair admission. 50 rides and a medium drink. They have all these different packages that they're giving out this year. The penny saver coupon book has a bunch of different discounts. Tuesdays are kids' days. This is a big one. Tuesdays are kids' days where children 12 and younger are admitted for free. That's huge. With the adults only now. Normal prices for children normally for ages 6 to 12 are $7.
What? I said Woodsy adults only nine. Right. I wish. Yeah. Yeah. Woodsy wants to go with a swing. Yeah. Adult swing swing set. Is this the key party fair? So creeper. There's also a deal this year called the Pepsi pay one price day. And that's on June 16th, 17th, 23rd, 24th and 30th and July 1st. Again, I'll put all this on my blog because I know that's a lot to remember. You can purchase a wristband for 30 bucks. I'll give you unlimited access to the funds. Zone and Kitty Land from noon until 8 p.m. And there's even more discounts you can get with the wristband online. So if you just go on their website and get more info. Awesome. I'm all about the discounts and the freebies. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's great. Sienna, can you do the thing with us where you give us the words? Oh, yeah. Give us the words that the New York Times readers do not know. Let's see if any of us know. If they don't know them, I don't know. Are we using our name as a buzzer? Smart readers.
Is it that kind of a thing? I guess we can. We can use our name as a buzzer. Okay. What I have in front of me is the top 10 words that the New York Times did research. And these are the words, the top 10, that readers do not know they have to look up in order to get through the article. Do you have the definition? I do. Okay. I'm going to get zero. Just so you know. I'm just going to put that preemptive strike. Well, let me just tell you, I won't be able to even pronounce a lot of them. I'm going to try. I apologize at a time. Number one, inchoate. Nope. In Kuwait. I-N-C-H-O-A-T-E. Mikey, that's where we first went to war in the first Gulf War in Kuwait. Oh, my. Really? Very cute, Mike. Wow. It is. Not bad. In an initial or early stage. It's called in Kuwait? Yeah, in Kuwait. In Kuwait. It's an in Kuwait situation. Got it, yeah. Well, listen, I don't want to start, like, inviting her to meet my parents yet because we're in Kuwait. I still don't. I can't see too well. Is that Norman Schwarzkopf? I'd be like, what? Yeah. I'm embarrassed. Like, I can't even. Is that a noun or a verb? Does it say? It doesn't say. Perfect. Don't make this harder than it is. All right. Proflagasy. Proflagasy. How do we know she's saying it correctly? We hear what? We don't. Proflagasy? Proflagasy. Okay. If the English major can't do it, then I'm not that far off. Proflagasy. We're terrible. P-R-O.
F-L-I-G-A-C-Y. Pro Flegassi. It means in favor of things that are Flegassi. Yeah. And it's also, it can also be a professional Flegassi player. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, there are a lot of... Depends on the context. When I amateur Flegassiers out there. One time, my wife and I were on a cruise in the Caribbean, and they were like, does anybody play Flegassi? And I said, I do. And I got up on stage. So you were am Flegassi. But I told them, I'm like, I'm not a pro Flegassi. But I've done this a couple of times. You're an amateur. Amphlegastic. I'm an amphlegastic. You guys couldn't be further off. It means reckless wastefulness. Whatever. Whatever. Mike, you should know that one. Can I look at them and see if there's one that they may know? Okay. I'm going to see if I've ever heard of these. That one. Number four. Woods is an English major. You don't know any of them? Woods is looking at them and I'm covering the definition. Not one word have I ever seen. Okay, this one maybe. No. Austerity. No. Austerity. Ooh. Doesn't it sound like a word we should know? It sounds like dexterity, too. And posterity. And posterity. Austerity. What is it? Oh, wait. I know. What? Oh. Do you? I think I heard the first word. Severe bone pain. That's osteoporosis. Severity or sternness in disposition or appearance. Severe bone pain. Okay. Those are amazing. Next one. Opprobrium. Opprobrium. A professional-brium.
Disgrace arising from exceedingly shameful conduct. These are easy. Oh my gosh. What about this one? Baldenfroid. It's a psychiatrist who's losing his hair. Oh my gosh, that's good. It's a balding psychiatrist. Baldingfroid. But you're a big-timers at the New York Times. Why are you using these words? I guess one of the columnists says this. pleasure from others, misfortunes. Can't say that well. Is that Jack London over there? For bald people. Jack London. Oh, that's good. What else? These are awful. Obduracy. Obduracy. Obduracy. Lauren, being very co-ert. Co-ert? I don't even think co-ert is a word. Co-ert is what you're looking for. Co-ert. C-O-H-E-R-T.
Is that a word? It's covert, isn't it? Coerce. That's a word I'm thinking of. Coerce is a word. Obduracy is the state or quality of being intractable or hardened. We're so stupid. I mean, every one of us. No, we're not. We're not. This is not right. Should we know one? No. Really? If there was a thought bubble over my head right now, it would be empty. Yeah. It would just be a big bubble with nothing in it. Question mark, question mark, question mark. Solipsistic. That's what your wife. puts on her lips. Yeah. Lipstick. Yeah. Soliblistic. Solid lipstick. Yeah. Soliblistic. Now I can't say it. Soliblistic of the theory that the self is the only thing that has reality or can be known and verified. Great. Still, I'd have to look up that definition. I don't think I would read the column anymore if these were the kind of words that were being thrown out there. I feel too stupid when I read this. I feel dumb reading the New York Times. Yeah, me too. Try doing the crossword puzzle. Yeah, their sports is three paragraphs, and that's it. Really? There's never any good sports in the New York Times. Go to the Post. It's because you're using words like that. What else? Oh, you want another? Yeah. Okay. Give me one more. Sui, one word, S-U-I, second word, generesis.
It's a generic Swiss. It's a generic Swiss. Yeah. They go, do you want the fancy Jarlsberg? And I go, no. Give me the Swiss Swiss. Swiss generis. I think I added another. Is it Latin? It's generic Swiss cheese. The guy behind the deli counter goes, sir, you can just say, give you the generic cheese. You don't have to go all. New York Times on me. Yeah, don't call it New York Times. You guys, we should try and put this in a sentence like sometime today. I was going to vote, popular vote, but I decided to go sui generis. Sui generis means, it's a Latin phrase meaning unique. That was kind of right. Yeah, good for us. We're dumb. That's great. None of us know any New York Times words. Is Lauren considering becoming an exotic dancer? Please. Please say yes. Oh, just... Hey, fellas, let me explain when we get back. Listening to The Mikey Show. The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Surfwise today, a combination of what we've been seeing pretty much, some southwest out there, a bit of west-northwest windswell, maybe a little bit more dominant than it has been over the last few days.
Surf generally running in that waist-to-chest-eye zone, shoulder high, maybe a plus on that on occasion at the top open spots, only on the best of the combination of swells. Right now, winds are relatively calm, pretty clean surface conditions, totally overcast with drizzle out there, pretty darn wet. Yeah, you know. Maybe I did. Maybe I have had this. But you, you know, like we say, you know, bricks keep falling off of your wall. Maybe this is another brick falling. I'm a big goofball. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Okay, maybe she's not conservative. Maybe she's not conservative. I think I am. She likes to wild out. I do. Don't you know it's the summer of Lauren? Yeah. Well, see, I did. Punch out San Diego. Yeah. I had you pegged wrong. I get you real good. I thought that you were more of the, you know, like the way you dress, all that kind of stuff. You don't really. I'm at work. You mean outside of work? Yeah. She's in the. Miniskirts and stuff like that? Miniskirts, midriffs. Are you really? A whole bit. No. I had no idea. Not together. No, but I, yeah. You do. I look cuter than I do at work. But does that, so I really am confused right now. Because I would have thought out of work, you were somewhat similar to what we see at work, meaning that you dress conservatively. No. You don't. You're miniskirts, midriffs.
Out of work. No, never midriffs. No. But mini skirts. Dressed like a hooah. No. I'm dressed like what's cute. Yeah. Yeah, but I'm not going to. He's like spun out because he's like, I don't get this. I'm really uncomfortable. I don't get it. I'm uncomfortable. I feel uncomfortable for you, Mike. No, hey, here's the deal. I can shed some light. I've been out with L.O.B. outside of the office and outside of like, hey, let's go get lunch. Yeah. It's a wild child. Really? Yes. Well, that's why I was, well, listen, I got her recap today. And she says that she is going to take pole dancing classes. Holy cow. Yeah. It's a good workout. Yeah. That's the deal. It's like a workout deal. I mean, that's what it's about. It's about working out. Well, I'll tell you what. The reason I decided, I got this flyer a little while ago and it was on my car. And most of the time I'm like, get this out of here. And I throw those things off. But I got it. And I was like, ooh, that sounds kind of cool. I saw this pole dancing competition on YouTube like a year ago. And it was set to that Evanescence song, the Wake Me Up Inside. And those girls were doing some crazy, like very athletic, agile, like strong things. And I was like, I want to do that. I've been telling you from day one.
Yeah. Strippers are very talented. Oh, they are. They're very talented and they're very, what's the word I'm looking for? Very classy. It's very classy. We've all been encouraging you to become a stripper. I know. And now you're finally taking our advice. And I've decided, yeah, I need a couple extra bills. So I'm going to take the class. You know, it's something she can fall back on. Right. Maybe we post a video on the website. How much? Oh, my God. How much? Percentage of chance Lauren would ever let the general public see her at her pole dancing class. Negative one. Zero. Negative one. Negative 100. Yeah. Percentage of chance. Zero, Lauren? Well, maybe if I was wearing, like, a gym outfit, but I'm not going to wear, like, I'm not going to start taking my clothes off and start spinning around a pole for the general public. Sounds pretty good to me. Are you going to do that in the class? Yeah. No. What would I want? I was like, whoa. I want to talk to anybody. If anybody's ever done it, 570-1949, what I want to know is, like, do you become a black belt at it? Like, is it a course where you, like, learn? There's different levels, though. I've looked into it. So you're, like... I know how much it costs. I'm signing up. What do they call it when you become... There's expert? There's, like, a... Stripper. There's... You work way after the black belt. There's orientation, too. Yeah. Then there's beginner. Intermediate. Then there's advanced. Yeah. And then there's, of course, the ladies of the night. Yeah, ladies of the night. Expert.
Oh, wow. Well, the good thing is, is you would get off work right when it was time to come in here. Yeah, that's true. You know what I mean? Yeah. Just sleep during the day. Yeah, just sleep during the day. Sure. I love that. If anybody's ever done this, I want to know what the, you know, what, like, maybe got all in shape or. I have a feeling I'm going to be terrible at it because these girls look like, they look like gymnasts, the things that they're doing. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm like, I've got some upper body strength from surfing, but I don't. think i don't know but i just want to see if i'd be any good at it i did it a couple years ago did you really not a class but on the old show i worked on we had um someone come in because this is something you can hire people and they'll go and bring in a pole you can have a pole installed oh yeah i know they can bring in a pole and set it up she's having her place measured today you can have like a nine-foot ceiling parties and stuff with your friends and and do it So an old show that I worked on, we had one and it was a bright pink pole that was set up. And we all like, you know, tried and they show you like the moves and stuff to do. And this was on the air. Yeah. And it's hard. It is. So I couldn't do anything. Oh, I bet. I know. And I want to get like diesel. Like these girls look like diesel. I've taken a striptease class before. You what? What? Yeah.
I've taken a striptease class before. I don't know anything about Lauren. What does second mother think about this, Lauren, is what I want to know. She's probably like, what are you doing? Lauren's mom does a funny voice when she steps out of her own body and into second mother or other mother's voice. There's a girl on the phone that did a striptease class with you. Really? Yeah. M1 Lauren is on the line. Lauren, are you there? Yes, I'm here. Lauren! Hey, girl. Is that what you're talking? Is that what you're calling for? Yeah, I just had to call you out because I was cracking up. It reminded me of our striptease class. Oh, we all took it together and we were like cracking up. What's it like? It was very racy. It's very racy. Is it? An ex-stripper. Yeah. Can I take it? Lauren, do you remember when she did the stripper, the girl that was an ex-stripper that did it for us? She was like crawling around on the floor. She did her final performance and she threw her shirt and it hit our friend Jenny. Wow. But yeah, Lauren used to break the dance out in the bar. I'm not even kidding. I don't know her. I thought I did. Seriously. I mean, are you shocked, Woods? No.
You're not? Because you've seen. Yeah. Yeah. I haven't really seen it. Have you seen it? I haven't. I'm not shocked at all. Like crazy Lauren? Yeah. I mean, I could tell that she likes to have fun, but she's very. I see your views, though, too, because she takes a firm stance when it comes to women stuff, you know. And so that's what you're thinking, I'm sure. I would have. Oh, yeah. Say what? You've seen her shake that butt in the room. And every time we go to commercials and that butt. Yeah. Mikey, you would blush if you saw the striptease dance that I learned. Really? Let's see it. I want to see it. Oh, no, I can't. You have to do it. I would blush. Hey, thanks, Lauren. We appreciate it. Thanks, Lauren. That's the one I met the other night. She's got some pretty wildcat friends. Yeah, they're wild, man. Lots of Jersey girls out here. Lauren's coming with me to the fireman's cook-off this weekend. Oh, my God. Lauren's going to the fireman's cook-off. What is that? And one bookworm invited me. And she's going to go meet some firemen. Oh, wow. Unbelievable. Because bookworm's husband is a fireman. Uh-huh, uh-huh. Lauren's coming with me, so is our other single friend. Maybe I go crash it, too. What? Really? Sorry, Todd. Yeah, maybe we and Woods helped Todd open a Facebook page. Yeah, fair enough. So... That's insane. I'm sweaty. I'm nervous. What is that thing going to be like? It's a bunch of buff...
Latino men. That's what you picture a fireman to be? Buffed Latinos? Because I watched Rescue Me. It was like a buff Latino. It'll be all colors. All shapes and sizes. There you go. She's open for it. She's open for anything. She's like the United Colors of Benetton over here. That's right. I'm like the UN. That's right. I don't discriminate. That's right. Well, there are men wrecking their cars right now in San Diego. For sure. I'm all hot and bothered. I am. Now, since I'm learning, what will you be like at the fireman's ball? Will you be? Fireman's ball. Is that what it is called? It's a chili cook-off. I'm going there. Bookworm, if you're listening, call. I want to talk to you. I'm going there to support our firefighters who will incidentally also be there. And so will I. And so will a beer garden. I love it. I'm going there to support our local firefighters. And by support, I mean meet them and make love to them. Mikey, that's like me saying.
You know, I got a lap dance because this girl's putting herself through medical school, and she's going to be able to, maybe she'll take care of our kids one day. You can't compare what a stripper does. It's like Woods going to the hot librarian chili cook-off, and he's like, I just want to get some literature. I want to see some literature. No, no, no. Hey, all the proceeds go back to them. Yeah, great. Yeah. They're going to get more than proceeds, I guarantee you. Aren't they? Will they be? In uniform? I don't know. That's why I'm going to find out. It's all research for the show. Is it? Yeah, totally. I'm going to come back and I'm going to tell everybody what firefighters would like in their suspenders. What chili tastes like. I really want you. And by chili, I mean Ricardo. Bring the recorder. I'll bring the recorder. Yes. I'll bring the recorder. Okay. She'll bring the recorder. She'll interview some firefighters. Maybe ask them to take their shirt off. Yeah. Maybe bring a video camera too. And a regular camera. You guys are creeps. And put them online. And then bring it back. Yeah, Santa's like, and maybe I put a wig on. Maybe I let them, like, spray me with a hose. Todd can come too. I'll bring my husband. And I'm the creepy pig on the show. Let me tell you something. Let me tell you something. Makes sense. I always used to think it was a bit when people would say, dude, chicks are way filthier than guys. And I always used to go, yeah, yeah.
I don't know. Maybe. There's no maybe about it. Really? There's no maybe about it. There's some over-the-top guys, but there's some over-the-top girls, too. There really is, right? Thank God for that. I think girls really... We're big talkers. Like, we're like... Are you? Wouldn't it be funny if this and that and everything? But guys are the creeps that do it. No, but let me tell you this. When you have a recorder and you're, like, there, like, bring a bit, finger quotes, you get confidence. Like, when I was single and doing bits, I would go up to the hottest guy and be like, hey, I'm on the show. And you have like an ultimate reason to talk to them. And they're immediately like, oh, cool. Okay. You know, and you're in. Liquid courage. What will you be like? You'll be great. Will you be shy, Lauren? Or will you be talkative, Lauren? Or will you be silly, Lauren? I will be shy, apprehensive. Then I'll hit up the beer garden. Yeah. Then I'll be the life of the party. You get a couple of wines in this one. It's over. It's over. When we were at the fair. It was the women that were there were Lauren and her friend Lauren, my wife Jamie, and Kim. Jay's wife. Jay's wife. And these broads found the vodka bar. And it was over. Oh, we didn't find it. Yeah, you did? We did not have one Red Bull vodka. My wife had like four. Kim had like four. It was over. I can't handle much more. The hard stuff, I guess. It was over. It was over. What's your drink of choice? Beer. Yeah? Mm-hmm. A couple beers?
Wait a minute. M1 I don't know is on the line. Are you there? I don't know. Oh, we lost her. I want Bookworm to call in. Yeah. I want to talk to Bookworm really bad. That's who she's going to go with. Her husband's a firefighter. That's who invited her. Call in. She met her husband a few years ago at the cook-off. Shut up. Oh, yeah. Hello. Dirty little girls everywhere running around looking for firemen. But seriously, maybe you bring a video camera. Yeah. Maybe I do. Maybe you make a video. Maybe that's the third time Sienna's made sure that she said, and I guarantee you during break, she's like, you know, for the show, you ought to take a video. Maybe we put it online for everyone. Can I ask you something, Honest Cap? Yeah. Me? Yeah. Oh, sure. What would you do if Rebecca took a striptease class and came home and gave you a striptease? Would it creep you out a little bit? Not creep you out, but you know what I mean. Yeah, because it's outside of our dynamic. If it's outside of, and that's any guy. Rebecca right now just went. Really what? Really what? I'll tell you what. That's any guy though. Some of that stuff you can use in the club. In the club. Rebecca goes to a lot of clubs. Rebecca goes to the club with her 10 month old twins. Yeah. She has like a, it's called a, it's called a, she's, she's double fisting with babies. Yeah. It's a, it's a club like holder for twins when you go to the club that you put your twins in. Yeah. You can find me in the club. That's right. That's right. 570.
You guys would all be a little excited if your wives were like, so yeah, Bethany, she's getting married for her bachelor party. She's hiring this professional. Like, I have to go. You guys would be like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. No, I don't want to see my wife do stripteases. Dude, I just looked at my text. I just looked at the text for the show. I'm getting hundreds of filthy girls that are texting in that want to know how they can go. Filthy. To what? To the cook-off? To the cook-off. Oh, maybe I'll put it on my blog. All these girls want to go. And you're raising money, so it's for a good cause. No, the ones I'm reading, Sienna, they're filthy. I'm telling you. I want to see. These are girls that are all... Something happens in the summertime. I'll put it up on my blog, and then you girls, when you're out there, you come say hi to me. Well, I'll make it right together. Maybe I'll teach you some striptease moves. Hey, listen. Every single dude that's listening right now.
Every single dude that's listening right now. I'm telling you, there's plenty of fish out there in the sea. I know it because I'm seeing them text in like, 40. You know, I mean, they're, you know. They don't say that exactly, but because some of them are saying a little bit more graphically about how they want to meet these guys. Some of them are sitting in pics. I mean, they are ready to meet firemen. So guys, if you're single, maybe you go to the fireman's mall. What's the deal with firemen? They can rescue me. I'll tell you what the deal with firemen is. They have to be a certain physical type to be able to do what they do. Do they? I believe so, yeah. You've got to be a physical type to be able to do that. How excited are you, Lauren, when you go to the grocery store and you see the fire truck outside and you know there's a whole group of them doing their grocery shopping? You're like, how do I look? I think I might fake that I'm like... maybe like short of breath or something or just pretend I think I'm I think I'm fainting yeah so whatever I can't breathe can't breathe so great why do girls even pretend all they have to do is walk up and go you know you're really cute and the guy's like
In 100%. You guys say that, but I forget to have that. Hi, my name is Lauren. Let's go slay. Done. Let's go slay. That would freak me out. If she said that, that would be a little scary. All I'm telling you single dudes that are listening is... Be a fireman. Well, number one, be a fireman. But number two... Be yourself. It's not as hard as you think it is. No, it's not. There's a lot of girls out there that are willing to meet you guys. Plenty of creeps. I married an engineer, not a fireman. Easy. Whoa. I'll tell you what, though. If I was married to one, I'd probably be scared to death every time you went to work. Oh, yeah. Because of the danger? Because I'm a worrier, and I'd be like, oh, my gosh. And because girls are going to be like, hello. Yeah, that'd probably be the real reason. No. Really? I wouldn't like it. Yeah, weird. Keep your eyes on your own paper, girls. Who's more jealous, guys or girls? Girls. Thousand percent. Girls. Thousand. Maybe a million. A million percent. Depends. You got extreme. Guys are, we get better with age, man. They get all crazy. But I think that the. I thought you said something worse. I thought I was going to say. I think the more extreme case you'll find in the male species. No way. Like they're like willing to. Take your door down. No, like the crazies. Right. Yeah. But I think probably. I don't know. Betty Broderick. You guys heard of Betty Broderick? No. Here in San Diego. She was a big story that.
Her husband was cheating and she's in Las Colinas now because of it. Lorena Bobbitt. No, no, no. He wasn't. Maybe he was cheating. But what he was doing was he was leaving her to be with the younger, sexier version. And she killed him. So they get real. Yeah. But I think in most cases, the extremes would be more likely to be found in men. But as a general, I think women. Woods showed up to some girl's place in his underwear after having a bottle of Jack Daniels. She got you there. And I broke into her house. I had a key. I didn't break in. You were broken up. The key no longer works. I thought that a girl was, well, she was cheating. But when I started to suspect that she was, I was doing kooky stuff to try to find out. My brother climbed a balcony and looked in. See what I mean? And saw the dude in there. Still took her back. He did? Oh, yeah, I did, too. I took this girl. Yeah, I took this girl. Girls do it, too. You gotta stay strong. I feel like guys are more forgiving, too. Don't settle. 100%. Yeah. Saps. Saps. Big, giant. Getting cheated on is the worst. I feel like I'm one and done. Like, cheat on me once. Peace out.
Fool you again. You won't get fooled again. You can't get fooled again. Second time, then don't. No. Fool me. Cheat on me once. Fool on you. Fool on you. Cheat on me twice. Fool on me. You won't get fooled again. Shame on me. Yeah. It's got to be your bull. M1 Molly is calling in and says that she's crazy. And so I believe. I believe that's a deal. Not really sure. M1 Molly, are you there? Molly? Hello. Wait. There we go. Hi, Molly. Hi, Mol. So I just wanted to deliver an example of extreme jealousy, men versus women. And, you know, we all remember O.J. Simpson. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. Allegedly. He was found innocent. Yeah. Very innocent man. Sure. That's what the court said, man, is that I didn't do anything. That's right, O.J. In fact, I'm still trying to find the real killer, man. You're in jail, bud. Yeah. In fact, yesterday, I looked on the 15th hole. And the 16th hole. Didn't find him. What was the name of the book that you put out? Can't find him, man. The book was called I Didn't Do Nothing. It was the name of the book. If I did it. I didn't do nothing. Molly, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. I think you're right. I think you make a great point. Thank you for calling. You're welcome. Have a great day. There she is. Let's see. How about this deal with this lottery ticket? This avoided lottery ticket.
$30 million loss. How did that happen? This was part of the St. John's lottery. And this woman goes to the corner store and she asks to be part of the Atlantic lottery lotto. $30 million jackpot. She was supposed to be charged a $12 ticket for this lottery ticket. She was charged $27. She was like, oh, you overcharged me. And he said, oh, I'm sorry, that was a mistake. Do you still want it? I gave you the number, so I can't take it back. Do you still want her? Do you want me to void it? She said, no, void it, void it. Oh, my. So her numbers were put back into play. No one else chose them. Those were the winning numbers. Really? No. She could have spent $27 and made $30 million. Oh, my. Dude, I hate hearing stuff. Are they true? $3? Yeah. Right? That's what she didn't spend. No, 15 extra dollars. 15 extra. Good math. Still, though. Real good math. Yeah, I mean, I'm pretty good at mathematics. He was thinking 30 million. Maybe I carry an abacus with me? Seriously. Start carrying an abacus. Maybe get an iCalc. Yeah. Yeah. In your mind, you were thinking 30 because I said 30 million. Yeah, which would still be ridiculous. I can't figure numbers out. I know. I'm sorry. Yes, you can. Stop it. I'm the worst at numbers. Think about that poor woman. She's sitting at home right now like.
I could have been rich. She's going to woulda, coulda, shoulda her. I could have been rich. You're going to go crazy. I would go crazy. I would too. Put me in a box. We mentioned this as we were talking about stories this morning to go over. I mentioned this and Woodsy goes, really? He doesn't believe it. But there was a census record that just showed that there was a woman in Indonesia, 157 years old. B.S. You don't believe it? No. Really? Really. Why not? Because it's impossible. It is not. It is absolutely impossible. No, bro, you... Get a little jogging every day, maybe a glass of wine. What's your secret? It could be possible. There's no way. Have you ever seen the Green Mile? Yeah, I saw the Green Mile. fictional. Can I do DNA tests to see how old someone is? No, what you do is you cut the leg open and cut the rings. The wet years are thicker, though. That's right. Yes. Well, this woman claims she was born in 1853, which is the year that San Francisco first got street signs. She put them up. So she's as old as Larry King. No, but here's the thing. There's no authentic data to prove her age, but I guess she's been giving statements. Saying that she dated Larry King.
that. But she has an adopted daughter who's now 108 years old. What? I call BS on that too. You do? It's true. I was there for her 90th birthday. It was a hell of a party. But if there's another person claiming, yeah, this is my daughter, you know, and I'm 108. That's my mom. She raised me. She doesn't know. She's 108. She'll say whatever. Yeah. Betsy Ross is her mom. I know. In my mind, am I thinking 108 is young and like normal? Like it's a 40-year-old that just came out of the DMV test. I'm like, well, the 108-year-old, she's totally with it. Working poppy fields over there. Just came out of Gymboree. She's like, oh, yeah, that's my mom. Oh, yeah, Mike. Mike. Yes. One of our M1s, one of our best and most loyal M1s, M1 Blake. had, and he didn't, his wife had their baby yesterday. Little baby, Sophia. Can't wait to be in your boat. Eight pounds, 3.6 ounces. What did you think of Sandra Bullock's speech? You. You're a seductive cat. You crazy little meower. What did you think of her kiss? Scarlett Johansson. You like that? Yeah, I bet you did. Thank you, Antonio Banderas' cat, El Madiachi. See you later. There he is. What the heck? That's him. El Madiachi is crazy. Clear as day. That's right. She's got fixed. He's sworn he said, see you later. I shouldn't say that. I saw it on TMZ, so I don't know if that's really true. Oh, yeah. So it got fixed. And they had pictures, and I was like, oh, gross. It's a little personal. M1 Bookworm's on the line. Hi, you. What up, Bookworm? Hey, you. Hi. You're taking our girl Lauren to the old chili cook-off, eh? Well, you know, I figured since she's a single girl now.
She might be looking to find herself somebody. And that's a fireman's orgy. It's always a good solution. It's the old fireman orgy 2010. Thanks for my invite, bookworm. Oh, Sienna, you're a married woman. Yeah, it doesn't matter. How am I? I could still eat some chili. Yeah. Oh, yeah, because that's what it's all about. Oh, it is. And giving back. Well, yeah, and I wanted to clarify a couple things, too. Yeah. To raise money for muscular dystrophy. Sweet. Great cause. That's what I meant. Everybody just got all serious. Oh, that's right. That's so sweet. So sweet. That is what I meant. Great cause. Yeah. Firefighters. That's all I have to say. Yeah. That's how you met your husband, right? That's correct. You met him at the chili cook-off. I did. How did that go down? Well, Poway was the only booth that was giving away tequila shots that year. Of course, I made my way over to Powiz. This is a saucy book one, man. Good Lord. This is a saucy one. So are you and your husband doing something special? Because this is kind of like an anniversary, right? Kind of. I mean, this would be year four of us meeting each other. So they're bringing me along. It's, you know.
Well, and Lauren, if you find a husband, I fully expect to be invited to the wedding. Oh, yeah, of course. I'm not in the market to be shopping for a husband. Aren't you? Why not? She's just test driving, hasn't she? I'm going to test drive seven or eight. She's not looking for Mr. Right. She's looking for Mr. Right now. See if she can run through the Poway booth this year. Well, book where maybe you take some pictures or video or something. Lauren hasn't agreed to it yet. Fourth time. There's going to be 25 departments there this year. Where is it exactly? Oh, it's at the Embarcadero. Right behind the convention. The convention center downtown. That's code for Mikey's backyard. Right. The Embarcadero. The Embarcadero is a beautiful location on the water. Lauren's like, I want to meet the firehouse from Imperial Beach, National City, and Chula Vista. Hey, I don't discriminate. That's right. I do not. All right. Well, thank you, Bookworm. Best of luck to you ladies. I'll see you Saturday. Hey, Bookworm. Yeah, what up? Maybe you come out to a meet and greet one time. Okay. Okay? Yeah, maybe make it right. Instead of just saying that you're going to come and then not showing up.
How about that bit? You know what I do whenever I see firefighters drive by in their nice little fire truck? What? I wave every time. You really? Since I was little. Me too. I don't wave to cops. I don't wave to anyone. But if a firefighter, and it's not like the, because they're good looking or anything. It's just because I like them. I like them too. They're good guys. I like the guy that steers in the back. Yeah. I bet you do. The guys that sit backwards. I bet you do, you little creep. You are the creepy little pervert. She's the creep. Wait a minute. Did somebody turn my mic off? She's the creep. I'm not the creep. So, okay, Sienna, what are the best-selling cars? Okay, now this is based on the highest year-to-date sales figures. Honda, Toyota, Hyundai. Whoa. Whoa. I'm speaking Japanese over there. Honda Accord is on there. Oh, these are the actual makes and models. Yeah. The Honda Accord is on there as well as the Civic. Toyota Camry. And Corolla. And Corolla. But Toyota did really well, even after everything that happened. It's a great product, man. That's what got me so upset about when it was all going down. It's all my family's ever bought. There's more than 300 pending lawsuits.
towards Toyota right now. Is the Aston Martin not on there? Yeah. That's BS. It doesn't need to be. Everyone knows it's great. What about the Rolls Royce? How did that not make it on there? Did I tell you there was a Rolls Royce parade by my house? Weird. Of course there was. I'm not kidding. It wasn't a parade. It was just called Saturday. Stop my neighbors coming home. I've never seen, I was walking with my dad, and I'm not kidding. Dad, is it another Rolls Royce parade? He's like, no, Sienna, our neighbors just got home from vacation. I've never seen them before. They had police escorts. Guess what? There's also princess parades. Diamond parades. There was over 50 Rolls Royces. My gosh. I know. How come they don't have those in Santee, El Cajon, and Chula Vista? The Rolls Royce parade. They have the Woody parade in Encinitas. Yeah, the Woodies are great. Aren't they? Okay, also some more of the best-selling cars. The Ford's F-Series trucks. Yeah, those are good. I'm thinking about it. I'm thinking about it. An F-150. A Ford's Escape. I had an Escape.
You should drive Mikey around in it. You're real good. Really? Oh, my gosh. We don't want to talk a lot about that. And about 120 miles an hour down the tollway. Skeed out, skeed out. Hammered truck. Oh, I never want to drive with Woodsy. Oh, such skeedy memories. Excuse me, Anna. I wasn't even there. Isn't that gross just to think about the stupid things we all used to do? It's like, don't ever do that stuff. So different now. And the last one of the best-selling cars is the BMW's 3 Series sedan. Those are great, man. They get car of the year all the time. the time. Bavarian Motor Works. There we go. Let's play a new game called What's That Sound? Call us right now, 570-1949. And it's real easy. You're going to use your name as a buzzer. We put one listener up against another listener. All you have to do is tell us what you're hearing. And it's best out of six. Best out of five, excuse me. I'm going to have to bite my tongue. Yeah, I know it. Here, I'm going to turn my mic. 570-194-9, call us. We're going to have you guys compete, and they get a prize, right, Jay? What are the prizes? Yeah, what do we got? The prizes are tickets to see Phoenix. Oh! The SDSU Open Air Theater. Yeah, that's a good prize. That's a big prize. 570-194-9, give us a call. And again, it's real easy. You're going to be doing best out of five. We have five different sounds, and you have to use your name as a buzzer.
Not that. It's real easy. Let's see. Our first person is M1 Ivan. Ivan, how are you? I'm good. Good, man. All right. You're going to be going up against M1 Andrew? All right. M1 Andrew, are you there? Oh, man. Oh, my key. No. Oh, dear. Oh, dear. Ivan, are you there? Who is this? Who is this? Oh, this is Scott. Scott. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. That's okay. It's okay, as long as I got you. Gotcha, yep, you got me. Sounds like a firefighter, this guy. He's ready to rock. That's right. And who is this on the line? This is Scott again. No. Mike, what's going on over there? Not you, Scott. Who else is on the line? Vincenzo. Vincenzo and Scott. There he is. You guys ready to try this? Ready. Okay, you use your name as a buzzer, and it's going to be the best out of five. All right. All right, here we go. First sound. Vincenzo. Vincenzo. Cow. That is incorrect. Believe it or not, that was a cat. Oh, what? Whoa. Sounds like E.T. Oh, my gosh. Can we save that clip? That's the greatest cat I've ever heard. No.
Keep listening to the cat. I love it. I hate that cat. I want that cat. I don't even like cats. You got to give him a second. See, that's a deal. It's not as easy as you think. You got to give him a second. I'm going to keep you guys on here. Vincenzo and Scott. It's the best out of five. Now it's the best out of four. Now it's the best out of four. You ready? Ready. Here we go. Ready. Scott. Scott. Say again. Chainsaw. Chainsaw. You are correct. That was a chainsaw. Got it. Very well done. Very well done. All right, guys. Here we go. Vincenzo. Vincenzo. Helicopter. You are correct. One, two, one. That was a helicopter. All right, here we go. Here's your next one. Scott. Bombs? That is incorrect. It is not bombs. That was the space shuttle.
All right, you guys are tied one-to-one. This is it. This is the tiebreaker. This will decide who wins. Scott. Scott? Construction truck? Maybe more specific. Try another. Yeah, you got to be a little bit more specific. I'm going to keep playing it. Vincenzo. Vincenzo? Traffic? Lauren. Wait, Scott, can you get one that's more specific? Maybe a trash truck? You got it, buddy. You got it. Very, very well done. Good job, both of you. Hang on the line. Those are not easy. No, they're not. I'm telling you, man. You got to listen to them for a second because they really, really aren't what they first appear. You got to wait and listen for a little bit. You know what I think is really cool? Drew Brees is helping out people.
All over the Gulf Coast. He did it when Katrina was there. Love Drew Brees here. That's his hood down there now, man. Yeah. Those are his peeps. And now he's helping the people that are the oil spill victims. Awesome. It's from Larry King. You know, whereas Hurricane Katrina was the largest or most devastating natural disaster in U.S. history, now we're encountering the largest environmental disaster in U.S. history. And it just happens to be in the exact same place, affecting many of the same people. So whatever we can do, you know, we have a bond with our fans that was molded here over the last four years because of everything we went through post-Katrina. We were able to give them a championship in February. Hopefully we can give them a few more by the time we're done. But for now, it's all about doing whatever we can down here in South Louisiana and the Gulf Coast to help these people come back. That's pretty cool. How can you not like that guy, man? How can you not like him? He is a good dude. That's money. Did he have an operation plastic surgery to have that thing removed, the mole removed? He did, didn't he? Yeah, he did right before the Super Bowl. I thought so. Yeah. Why now? I know. Maybe it was cancerous or something. That could have been it. Could have been.
Sarah Jessica Parker did the same thing. Enrique Iglesias. He did? Yeah. Did he? Oh, yeah. I like that thing. Yeah. The kid. Where was his? Holy moly. It was next to his nose. Yeah, on his cheek. Did you think it was kind of added some character? Yeah. Yeah. Come on. Yeah, that didn't help either. My sister has one, and I'm always telling her she needs to get it looked at because it looks like it's getting black. Really? Yeah. What? That could be bad. If it changes color, you got to pay attention if it changes color. I always tell her she should get it taken off because I can't stand looking at it. No, it's like a beauty mark. She's beautiful. She can do whatever she wants. She'll still look great. I think they kind of look cool. I like them. Where do you stand on the gap in between the teeth? I'm in. You're in? Yeah. I believe that Ryan is developing that, but Rebecca says she doesn't think so because it's baby teeth. Caveat to that. What? On women, I meant. Yeah, on guys, you're like, come on, it's Mad Maxie. Come on, David Letterman. Yeah, it's David Letterman. Easy, Michael Strahan. Jasper has it. His two front big buck teeth came in, and he's got a gap in between. You can almost walk between the two. Yeah. Does he have his permanent? Yeah, the two front ones are permanent. He's having four of his baby teeth pulled today. Does he have buck teeth? Well, they're not buck. I had buck teeth. They're the size of chiclets. They're big. That's like Jenna's, too. I had those. Can he eat corn through a knot hole?
So, hey, Jay, if you wanted to correct it, how would you? Braces. Braces, yeah. This is just the first step of him getting braces. He's seven, so now what happens? They're going to pull four teeth today, and then in two weeks, I think they're pulling another four teeth because his baby teeth just aren't falling out quick enough. Dude. So they stick braces on the two buck teeth and they pull them together? You can use retainers, too. That seems really early to be having all those teeth pulled out. He's seven? First grade? Yeah, well, kids get teeth early. I didn't lose my first two front teeth until second grade. Really? Yeah. There's a lot of sexy girls with a gap between their teeth. Woods takes us right back to the sexy girls. I know, huh? Hey, Susanna, did you have that with your retainer? Did that take care of it? See, here's the thing. I had all kinds of stuff going on. Yeah, really? He seemed to go in from the back and from the side, and then you would take, and then I had the rubber band. No idea what you're saying. Take it out, take it out, take it out. No idea what you're saying. Take your retainer out. That's what she said. No, take the retainer out of the mouth so we can understand what you're saying. Oh, man, that's a lot.
So much. I was just saying, I had teeth coming in at all angles. From the side, from the top, from the back. I had to use the rubber bands, the headgear, the whole bit. When I sleep at night, I still have to wear the headgear. Perfect. Like your teeth are beautiful. They're perfectly straight. They're flawless. They're beautifully white. And part of it is because she wears the retainer. That's the key. That's why I freak out when I have it all. I'm like, oh my gosh, she's going to get all crazy again. She's got to wear it. I pop it right back in. Okay. I knew that was coming. All right. Emma and Jennifer from Oceanside, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. What were you calling to say? I just wanted to tell Mikey that it's all right when babies have gaps because that means that there's going to be enough room for their adult teeth later on. Really? Yeah. Because the back ones grow in and then everything shifts. Yeah. A lot of times, too, even when your adult teeth grow in, they look like they're really big and you have all these gaps. They grow into place, like, in a couple years, too. Your face is bigger, too. I have perfect teeth, so I don't know what you guys are talking about. You didn't have to have braces? Yeah, I had braces. You did? Me, too. Me, too. I only had mine for six months.
I had mine put on in Mexico. Weird. Weird. We're all like, woo. Yeah. You know where the... Oh, it's so weird about that. This is a true story. Do you know where the doctor kept his instruments? Where? In his pocket. In the sink. That's repugnant. Of course it is. Like soaking in dawn. No, it's different. Palmolive. Palmolive. You get your cavities and stuff filled down. Why would you do that? It's cheaper. Because it's like $4 to get braces. Yeah, that's one thing you don't skimp on. Yeah. What if you don't have the money and your teeth are all jacked? Okay, here's the deal. What if your parents are just cheap and they're like, well, drive down to Somerton and get you some braces? You don't skimp on hair products. Yes, you do. You don't skimp on haircuts. You don't skimp on DJs, designer jeans, and you don't skimp on your teeth. Yeah. Can't go wrong by those four rules of woodsy-ism. These are things you don't skip. Designer jeans. Hey, listen, man. You're 100% right. Whatever works, kid. Oh, my wife bought me a pair of knockoff jeans. Oh, my God. DJs. A pair of knockoff DJs. They were DJs, but they were the real deal. No, they were the real thing, but they were knockoffs.
How are they the real thing? Well, okay. Like purses in China. No. Uh-uh. They were the real thing, but they had like a flaw, and so they couldn't sell them, right? Right. Yeah, right. Did you have them? Yeah, guess what? What? Like, I wore them for like a month, and one of the buttons, the symbol on the button popped off. I'm like, really? On the big giant cross on the pocket? How about you guys get off your thrones, all right? Really? Really? Bigger fish to fry. I'm serious. Some people can't even afford generic jeans. They can't? Yeah. Wow. Lots of people. Shut up, Woods. Those jeans are so expensive. The price of being dynamic, I guess. I guess so. Snob. Felt pretty weird. What'd you do? Did you throw them away? No. I'd use it with the blown out button. Really? But I was like, babe. Thanks. Thanks for the Chicano jeans, you know? Dude, whatever. That can happen. My mom used to call them Chicano jeans. If you spring for the nice ones, that kind of stuff still happens. And then you get really mad. He's got holes in every crotch of those expensive jeans. Real great jeans. Oh, wow. Please don't, like, flash your crotch. He just rubbed his. There's no holes in these. These are perfect. Okay, well, those ones. How old are those? Three months. Just give it a little time. Yeah, for sure. By six. And then you get really mad if he spent $250 and the button pops off. We've been with Woods on two occasions.
Where he goes, oh, great. And we go, what? He goes, blew the crotch out. He does. And then he has to show us, too. Yeah. Look at this. Kids packing heat. What do you want me to do? Get out of here. He sticks his finger in the hole. He does. Your wife right now is like, I'm embarrassed. She's mortified every day. I'm embarrassed. She's mortified. I didn't mean it that way, Jay. Didn't you? Didn't you? Let's see. Mikey left his body. See you later, Mikey. Bye, Mikey, son. Bye. See you, little guy. Come back later, my little brown friend. We'll see you tomorrow. See you in the morning. You're a good little man. Put on swim trunks for the first time this weekend in a long time. Isn't it fun? I hate it. Do your swim trunks have an elastic waistband? Do they, Mike? I don't mean it as, like, a thing. Don't you? No. I mean it, like, as, like, touristy or not. And I don't like the love. Mike, are your swim trunks made out of whale blubber? You know I didn't mean it like that. I said the same thing to Woods when he talked about it. Mike, do you buy your swim trunks at a specialty store? I knew what you meant, Sienna. Thank you. And Mike.
You know you're looking good. Are they like nerdy or are they like board shorts? Do you buy your swim trunks a casual male? At Lane Bryant. Yeah, did you go to Lane Bryant and get boy shorts? Wait, wait, wait. I don't like the elastic waistband board shorts. No, who wears those? A lot of people. Really? They get them at like... I don't want to do that. You just pointed at Mikey. I know. No, I wanted to know what he was going to say. I'm surprised you guys don't wear designer swimwear. Really? I know. I do. You wear lucky. They're like, I have seven board shorts. Now wear Quicksilver. No, rip curl, rip curl, rip curl. That's what I wear. That's because Bird hooked us up. Yeah, well. Hey, did you guys hear about this little Jack Russell dog? Got his... jaw glued together. Oh, no. They're yappy. Oh, they're cute. They're good dogs. They are. It's a kind in Frazier. Frazier. Frazier. Yeah, Frazier. I'm going to show you this picture, Woods, and you will feel sad. I know. I love dogs. You know that. That's good. Oh, little guy. I know. Sweet. How did that happen? This little, little guy. His name is Toby. He went to his front door. His woman, master, whatever.
She is. Owner. She was gone. Mademoiselle. Mademoiselle. And little Toby saw the paper. Just like, ooh, the paper. Right. Like dogs like to do. And the paper, in this case, came in an envelope that had like the glue to seal the envelope. Yeah. Chewed right through it. Chewed on the paper. Turned into some sort of glue. Paste. Yeah. They said it turned into like paper mache that once you chew and chew and chew and his spit. And the master, like I called the master. Yeah. The master came home. Yeah. Saw poor little Toby, and there was bubbles coming out of his mouth. Oh, no! I know. Rushed him to the vet. Yeah, well, he's having a hard time. So she tried to open his mouth. But he's a dog. Dogs breathe through their mouths. They can't breathe through their nose? They can, but not as well. Not as good. Yeah. So she tried to help him and opened the mouth. It was like shut. She couldn't even open it with her hands. So takes him to the vet, and they had to put him down. pry at each little thing and get it out. Not put him down as in put him down. They had to put him out. They killed him and then they did it. Then they brought him back to life in the Micmac burial grounds in the Pet Cemetery and he came back to life. That's not possible? He's really mean now though. Now he's different. You know who didn't get their mouth glued shut?
Dog doesn't chew. Dog doesn't chew the paper. Well, look at Toby now. Oh, sweet little Toby. Toby's doing great now. There's a picture. He's smiling. I don't know if that's really a dog, man. It's cute. What are you thinking? No, I looked on the surface to be a dog at first. What? A little bit closer inspection. Turned out to resemble something that was dog, but also something a bit android in nature. In fact, when they first looked at the dog, they thought to themselves, well, it's just an ordinary pooch, isn't it? Until one night, after the little dog had gone to sleep, they noticed that it had a third arm. Going directly out of stomach. Fifth arm, maybe? I don't know if you remember, Mike, you can't count. He doesn't even know how many frigging arms a dog has. They thought, oh, look, an extra arm. That makes two. They fire me from Dateline. They're like, well, guy couldn't do math at all. He ruined every story. He thought there was 48 hours in a single day. Well, tonight on 28 Hour Mystery.
It went right over my head. Me too. That sounds about right. GM is recalling 1.4 million vehicles, and I'll tell you why. Is yours one of them? I'll tell you next. Pop it in. Turn it on. You're a music producer and you're just looking for young talent that you can make some great money from because you can hear a hit when you hear it. Doesn't do it? No. I wouldn't be listening. If I was a producer, I wouldn't be listening to stuff like that. There'd be some real drums, some real guitar. Well, maybe times are tough and you're like, I got to produce what's selling, not necessarily what I like. Got to work at Chevron. What's tough as nails? That's right. That's one thing. I do not bend on. He doesn't. You know that. He doesn't. You can't get the guy. You can't get me, dude. To listen to it. Got him to watch a Moris Peros yesterday. That was yesterday? Part of it. Part of it. Part of it. Yeah, he had to go. You guys are sissies. Well, we had a date after work. Yeah, we went on a little date. We went to see the Taylor factory. Weird. You guys had a date again. A little romance. Pretty sure it's like 15 days in a row.
Yeah, we went to the Taylor Acoustic Guitar Factory together. Did you guys sing each other love songs? No. Yeah, Woods picked up one of the Taylor guitars and serenaded me. I bet. This song? Yes. How incredible is that place? It smelled like... Woodshop. Woodshop. Amazing. Oh, I love that smell. Oh, Lauren, you would have loved it. Oh, I bet. We had no idea. It's great. What it entails to make such a badass guitar like Taylor. We were walking around, I was like... Looking at Mikey, we were just, our jaws were open like the whole day. We could have spent hours in that place looking at it. So cool. Lots of precision, I bet. These machines, we get to watch. It was like watching an episode of How It's Made. Yep. Because they had all these machines that drilled the guitars, did the whole deal. It was really cool. That's why it sounds so good. It sounds so good. You can't just slap that stuff together. That's right. And then we went to Pizzacato. Went to Pizzacato, had a little nice Hawaiian. Just the two of us. Just the two of us. Really? Together at our own little table. No candles. No candles. Hands held. No. No hands held. No hands. Footsie under the table. No footsie. Just delicious Hawaiian pizza and pear and endive salad. Did you guys share? Pear and arugula. Pear and arugula. Did you have dessert together? No dessert. And then we went and he watched.
That's okay, then. 15 minutes. 15 minutes. Oh, come on. That's how we're going to do it. We're going to knock it out five minutes a day. And then he lied and said he liked it, and then he left. No, it does look good. It looks gritty. It does. Isn't it just like a man to go ahead and lie to you like that? Yeah. Especially in the beginning of a relationship. It looks gritty. It looks good. Oh, no. Who watches five minutes of a movie? I watched 15. You guys are weird. It's got subtitles. Yeah, Woods goes. Yeah, it's great. It's great. It's great. He said the third, it's great, and I go, he didn't like it. I'm surprised you watched too many movies, because I can't imagine you sitting still. I really had to poop, and I had to leave Mike's house immediately. I had to. You're just going to let us all know? Yeah, I had to. I was like, okay, this movie's kick-ass, but I'll watch the rest of it later. Yeah, I was touching cotton. GM's recalling 1.4. Million vehicles. Why? In the U.S. to fix a problem in which fires can be caused by a heated windshield washer fluid system. I don't know if you have this in your car or not, but this system is designed to heat windshield washer fluid in order to make the windshield cleaner. I didn't know they did.
makes it cleaner. Didn't know that they did that. Yeah, especially on cold days. Obviously, it would work a lot better. Yeah. But the vehicles that are affected are the Buick Enclave. Enclave. Enclave, okay. Explains why I've never heard of it. Lucerne. What's a Buick? Yeah. What's Buick, you guys? Is it anything like a Rolls Royce? What about a Cadillac? Yeah. Cadillac, CTS, and the DTS, and the Escalades were affected by the recall. By the, what years again? It doesn't say. No. Probably more popular on the East Coast or somewhere where there's snow. Yeah. I drive them. You do? Yeah. What do you drive? I drive the Escalade. What color? I can't tell you what color. Why? A friend of mine helped me get it. Oh, yeah? Yeah, so... Fell off a truck? Yeah, the Escalade fell off a truck, so I can't really tell you what color it is. All right. I... Just so you know, I looked into it a little more. 2006 to 2009 model years of these cars. And there's more cars. The Chevy Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Traverse. Is that right? GMC, Acadia, Sierra, and Yukon, Hummer H2, and Saturn Outlook. Sounds like all the future names of your children. Yeah. Mine.
I know. If my sister's name is Avalon, someone sent me a message. Acadia, get over here. Acadia, stop it. Get down. Lucerne, where are you? Enclave. Traverse. Enclave, come here. I'm really angry. Every time, Todd and I were talking about this because have you guys seen there's like a million Sienna minivan commercials on? And he said, I bet people think of you whenever that commercial's on. I bet they do. Really? Yeah. That makes me feel special. I bet I do. Todd, Enclave has something in her mouth. Lucerne, get your hands out of your sister's hair. No, I think we have a name picked out and it's not a car name. Really? Yes. But you're not going to tell us. Our last name Farrar is close enough to a car as is. You're not going to tell us what it is though, right? I'll tell you afterwards. I don't need judgment. All right. Okay, yeah, that's a good idea. That baby's name's terrible, Santa. If you say it, we'll be like, no, don't do that. And you're like, great, what's the name? I've already received some judgment from my family. Really? Not bad. I mean, it's just... Sisters or mom? Mom, you know that. Rebecca, the other day we were talking about it, we were driving home and we were talking about favorites. And I said, I was with Lauren. I go, Lauren said that she would know exactly what you were going to say when I said that...
Ryan is your favorite of the twins. She goes, what is it? And I go, why don't you tell me what you think about that? And I'll tell you if that's what she said. And Rebecca goes, the only reason that I would list him as my favorite is to make up the difference. I go, that's exactly what Lauren said. And she started laughing. And she goes, whatever. And I go, yeah, exactly. I go, don't try to act. And she goes, I don't think that people really do the favorite thing. And I go, don't you remember Sienna talking about it? And she goes, No, no, no. She said that. She goes, remember Sienna said that her mom, that she knows that her mom has a different favorite. I go, Sienna never said that. Yeah, I did. You did, right? Yeah, she did. I say that it's my sister Avalon because she's the most like my mom. Yeah. But yeah, I think it's kind of the same deal too. Is it my dad? Rebecca said that you said, and I didn't remember any of this. I'm like, 94.9? She goes, yeah. Weird. Mikey show. She goes, you said something like that.
you're a pain in your mom's, you know what, or something like that? I'm a pain, yeah. Yeah, to your mom? Well, I used to be. Now we're fine. But growing up, I was, oh yeah, my mom would say, don't do that. And I would say, okay, you know, nobody tells a good what to do. I was like that with my mom. And she would punish me and I would just, you know, go complete opposite way. When you were in high school, did you have a problem with your mom or your dad? When you went through your phase? Because everybody goes through the phase. Man, we've had... My mom and I were always the type to argue. Yeah. But we'd make up really quick. Me and my mom, too. My dad and I, we wouldn't speak for a while. Really? Like, we'd be so mad at each other that we just wouldn't talk. No. And that sucked. But we're, dude, tight as can be right now. It's good. All right, let's play Donald Duck, Hot or Not. Here's how it works, all right? Donald Duck, I'm going to give you. Nice. I'm going to give you some. Hollywood actresses, and you're going to tell me if they're hot or not, okay? Actress number one. Jessica Alba, hot or not? You're totally in on Al. Cameron Diaz. And not? How? 50-50. She has hot days, and then she has not-so-hot days. Donald Duck, Heidi Montag. No, no, no. Is it her personality?
That's what I was going to say. Okay, this is a good one for you. Fergie, Fergie. No. Butterface. How do you know what that means, Donald? You're listening to Donald Duck, hot or not? Tori Spelling, hot or not? No way. No? No way. No way. Is it the blonde hair? Why the long face? It's something about her. Why the long face? Why the long face? It's Donald Duck, hot or not? Thank you, Donald. Wow, Donald. He is big. Is it a hero? My name is Donald. Fair enough. You know what we didn't get to do yesterday? What? We never got to new releases. I know it, and there's a lot of them. What do we got? Well. What's out? Christina Aguilera, Bionic. Oh. Can't see too well. Is that Lady Gaga? I'm in. I like it. Can't see too well. Every other artist. Like Lady Gaga with talent.
Christina Aguilera. Yeah, bionic hits you like a rocket. Man, that's... I think she's extraordinarily talented. Oh, yeah. Her voice is... I think she's a unicorn. I think she's that talented. If a unicorn was farty. Oh, she's so hot. What? Jay, really? I'm not talking about hotness. I'm talking about... Yeah, talent. Oh, I don't know. I'm talking about the voice. The voice. She went through a phase when she was super hot. I don't think she is anymore. She did, yeah. And then she dyed her hair black and got all weird tan. Yeah. Jewel Sweet and Wild is out. Yay. Whoa. She's gotten super country recently. It's a little country to me. Maybe it's the rancher boyfriend she's dating. Well, he's a bull rider. Her husband's a bull rider, but rancher, bull rider, whatever. Ty Murray. Guy's got a ranch out there somewhere. Yeah, that's a Jewel. I like Jewel, man. Yeah, so does Eskimo Blue Waters. Roosevelt. I've never heard of this Jewel character. That was her. That's the first song I've ever heard of her. No, it is not. It doesn't sound anything like mine. Eskimo. It's not the first time because she lived out of her van and you say you live out of your Mustang. Yeah. Well, anyone that's driven a Mustang knows it doesn't drive like a van. What about your ex-boyfriends? Steve Maltz? No. Her boyfriend's name was Steve Paltz. Jewels. And yours is Steve Maltz? Steve Maltz.
Yes. It's ridiculous. I don't think that's a coincidence. It's not. It's not. And I'm dating a cattle farmer. She's the one that married a bull rider. Right. So that's a coincidence, too? That's a weird coincidence. Weird coincidence. That one's weird. I'll give you that one. That one's weird. She'll give us that one. That's the only one. That's right. Dierks Bentley, Up on the Ridge. It's another country artist. Whoa. Dierks Bentley's really good. Yeah. Travis McCoy, Lazarus. Sounds like the 2010 Commodores. Yeah. Yeah. If the Commodores or Earth, Wind, and Fire were around in 2010, that's what it would sound like to me. I like it. Yes. Also out, the 2010 Warped Tour compilation.
Clay Walker, she won't be lonely long. Guys. Every time. It's just in time. The CMT awards are tonight. Yeah. Must miss. Little John, Crunk Rock. Little John. Crunk Rock. Lauren will be taking this in her new pole dancing class. No, it's just a guacamole. Didn't have enough. Didn't have enough. Didn't have enough bass. Delta Spirit, history from below. Oh, yeah. Great local band. I like it. That's right up Woods Valley. And we'll play one more of them, but there's a lot more. But this one I have to listen to. It's a single from Justin Bieber, who you guys know as a young kid. But on it with him is Jaden Smith, Will Smith's 11-year-old son. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. Kill me. You know you're curious. Kill me. Kill me. Never say never is what it's called. Will you? You're 16. Stop. It's good. Kill me, Mike.
Wait a minute. Put a bullet in my eye. I think he's 11. He's got a deeper voice than Bieber. I like it. Will you put a bullet in my eye? Stop. Yeah, but just let me finish listening to this first and then I'll get right to it. Yeah. Thank you. You like it too, Mike. Of course, it's pop. I like pop music. Uh-huh. Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith. He's in that new Karate Kid movie. Woods is banging his head against the microphone. Listen, I like pop. Also one of our recommended albums online, Not a Surf, If I Had Wi-Fi. Yeah. It's a really good album. If I Had a Hi-Fi. Hi-Fi, sorry. I was thinking about if I was Mikey. I had my Wi-Fi. And a couple of the big DVDs that came out yesterday, Shutter Island with Leonardo DiCaprio. It's out? Yeah. Let's watch it as a show. Let's watch it as a show. Woodsy, people say it's terrible. It's Scorsese. I don't care. I want to see it. It's like pizza and sex, dude. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good. Because it's Scorsese? Yeah, it's Scorsese. And DiCaprio is usually pretty money in his movies. He's great. It's like everybody I talked to was like, ah, it was good. There's a new movie with Leonardo DiCaprio coming out next month in July. And it's like showing the city come tumbling down. Previews are rad. It's funny. Like, I don't like Leonardo DiCaprio, but his movies are great. He's a good actor. Yeah, I just don't like him. And the other big movie that came out yesterday on DVD from Paris with Love with John Travolta.
Must move. Yeah, for sure. A Vandersloot might get formally charged today, right? Yep. He is going to be in court today over the death of the Peruvian woman who he has admitted to killing. Some more information came out. He talked about how he was under the influence. He was intoxicated on marijuana when the incident happened. Intoxicated on marijuana? Those were his words. Smoking marijuana cigarettes. Do you guys want to hear kind of what happened from his, what he told? Yeah. I'd like to hear what he said. What? What'd he say? So you do want to know? Okay. Is it real? No, no, no, no, no. It doesn't matter if it is. He was interrogated for seven hours on Monday and he went over some of the details and he said that what happened was he went out of the hotel room. They were staying at the hotel tack and upon his return, he went to go buy bread and coffee at the gas station, which is next to the hotel. When he came back, he saw that she was going through his laptop where she found something linking to him to the disappearance of Natalie Halloway. At that point, she wanted to leave and they started arguing and he was, you know, because she brought it up to him.
And I'm sure he just flipped out. Apparently she slapped him on the face and he hit her back and then grabbed her neck. Vander Sloot told investigators that he was intoxicated, like I said, and that although she was found half-dressed, there was no evidence that they had had sex. Yeah. Well. Why would he, I'm sorry, but why would, if he was, why would he incriminate himself by keeping something like that on his laptop in the first place? Because he's one of those guys. He's a sadist. You think it was that or? I think he might have been like reveling in it. It was a five-year anniversary and maybe he was like being, yeah, like a sadist or just being a little bit creepy and being like, look at my handiwork. Could be. Creepy. Yeah, he could be charged today. And I told you guys yesterday, which is just a bummer, is in Peru they don't have. you know, life penalty or the death penalty in Peru. So he's facing a maximum jail sentence of 35 years. Unbelievable. Yeah. So weird. Unbelievable. Maybe they turn a blind eye when he's in prison. Yeah, maybe.
Probably will. They probably will. Oh, I'm sure. He'll have a rough time. Natalie Holloway's mom, speaking of, is going to open up a Center for Families and Missing Persons, which is really good. I mean, something positive. Yeah, she just opened it. It was in Washington, D.C. yesterday where she opened the new Resource Center for Families and Missing Persons. It's named after her daughter. It's called the Natalie Holloway Resource Center. And basically, it's just going to provide services that she felt she didn't have when her daughter disappeared, such as access to the government and media contacts and missing persons posters. So tell me how you respond to this. 570-1949 or you can text 949mikey at gmail.com. Mikey, got a doozy for you guys. Been friends with this girl for about seven years. We used to work together, but now we're just hanging out all the time. When I first met her, yeah, I had an interesting, quote, being with her, unquote, but that faded. I helped her with several relationship problems and vice versa. Well, now things have gotten interesting. She told me after a few cocktails that she wanted to be friends with benefits. I tried to tell her that she was drunk, but she texted me the next day about it and says she's all the way in. She's dating another guy casually, but I don't know how I can say no. Help, guys. Help. M1 Benny. Well, you know my take on that. How do you say no? You say no, number one.
Trust me, there's no temptation that you can't say no to. You have every ability in the world to be able to say no. And the second deal is that if this girl is saying that she wants to be friends with benefits, fast forward the tape. I use that phrase a lot. Fast forward the tape and imagine how that scenario plays out. Does that play out where you're having intercourse with this girl? And it ends up in this really, really awesome, like, happily ever after kind of deal. Maybe. No, it doesn't. There's a small percentage. Maybe. But odds are against you. Maybe neither one of them is looking for forever with that person. Tap the brakes, pal. Go ahead. Tap them. No, tap them. Tap, tap, tap. Okay. Ready? Yeah. Been friends. Good friends. Seven years. Seen each other through a lot of hardships. They start to slay. They like what they see. And they make it right for each other. Yeah. Fast forward the tape. But she's also slaying someone else. No, because casually dating. Because the percentage of chance. Probably this girl wants to be friends with benefits. Percentage of chance that a girl doesn't develop relationship feelings for said guy after they're doing that. What if he does? She's the one that initiated it. What if he does? What if they both do? What if they both don't? What if they both fall in love and end up on a beach making love? Really? What if they don't? What if they do? They're not going to. How do you know? Because he says.
Because Benny says, is Benny a guy? I don't know if Benny's a guy. Of course Benny's a guy. Is it? The girl he's talking about, isn't he? He must have been talking about two broads. Well, my deal is. Yeah, we're talking. My deal is, is that if Benny's writing in and he's saying he didn't have the, he's not interested. He might be interested in, you know. Getting it on. Yeah. I'm not getting the feeling like he's all that into it either. If they've been together seven years, nothing's happened yet. And if she had had a few drinks and was like, hey, let's be friends with benefits. If he was interested, he would be like, all right. That ain't ending good. You know? Should have closed the deal, pal. Him? Yeah, he needs to close the deal. Maybe he likes her as a friend and he doesn't want to complicate things. Maybe he what? Likes her as a friend and doesn't want to complicate things. Well, he obviously likes her as a friend. Yeah. He didn't like girls for a long time. Yeah, but, like, how good of friends can you really be? And that's a girl phrase, by the way. Yeah. Friends with benefits? No. What? I just don't want to complicate things. Guys don't say that. No. We love the complication. I've gotten that bit. He's basically saying it in that email. You what? He's gotten shot down. No, I haven't gotten shot down.
Well, yeah, I have. Did he look at you and go, no, like you did? No, he said, well, there could be something here, and if we do that, it doesn't complicate things. The guy that you're dating, or talking about, is he a homosexual? No. When you did that, were you doing that because you wanted him to like you? I don't want any strings attached, and I just kind of want to have fun and blah, blah, blah. Honest cap. Honest cap. would you have liked strings to eventually be attached? Really? Nope. You really didn't want that? I was headed out of the country. You get a little taste before you get on the floor. Yeah, just a little companionship. You didn't like him? I did. Yeah. Girls always do. No, they don't. They do. I liked him enough not to kick him out of bed. I mean, let's get things straight here. Write that down somehow. I'm telling you, I don't think there's a girl in the world. that really is being completely honest. If they're like, no, I really did just want... You don't think that we... Yeah. We get lonely? I do. I do think that. We like a warm body? I do. I do think that. But I also think that when that happens, that you're going to have an attachment. Not always. Open the door to Naive Town, dude. Come on. Are you kidding me? I say the same thing back. You come on. Are you kidding me? Who are you talking to? Dude, it's not like I just got here from Mars. But you don't think there's...
You don't think there's girls out there that just want to taste and move on? Yeah. Oh, dude. They're all going to the chili cook-off this weekend. And thank God for them, dude. Yes. Why did you just say? I said they're all going to the chili. Some of them like chili. Yeah. Well, you said you were getting all kinds of texts about girls being creeps. I'm telling you, dude. We can creep. There's as much dog in women. Oh, I know it. But I'm saying that women, I believe, are wired right after it to be like, I wouldn't mind hearing from you again. It's more likely. More likely, for sure. Totally more likely. But there are girls that are not like that. And we work more on emotion. And emotions sometimes make things a little crazy. And one Fred from San Diego. What's going on, guys? What's up? What up, Fred? Forgive me, but I think you guys are way overanalyzing this. Yeah. I think it boils down to two things. It's honesty and communication. And it sounds like these two parties are communicating with each other, setting their expectations, and communicating very clearly. So that's really what it's all about. So if they both agree to the terms, then what's the big deal? Yeah, I'm with you. I'm with you. But I don't think he agrees. I think the big deal is that that's all a bunch of BS, and once it starts, it ain't going to end like that at all.
If they're willing to put the friendship, like if the friendship doesn't mean that much and they're like, ah, in the end, who cares if we're friends anymore? Benny, get out there and make that right, pal. They don't come around every so, you know, they don't come around all the time. Going to play a new game next. It's called Gender Pyramid. 570-1949. It's a Mikey show. Myself, Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. We're going to play our first ever gender pyramid. Buckle up. That's right. Gender pyramid is where we get a guy and a girl facing off against each other. The way that it works is we're going to be asking guys, girl questions, girls, guy questions. And our first contestant is a gal and it is Heather. Heather, are you there? Not too much. Yeah, Heather. Heather, you are teamed with Sienna. Please, no sports questions. Heather, I'm in the same boat as you. We'll do this together. I'll make it real right. Basically, what's going to be happening, Heather, is that Sienna is going to be giving you guy categories, and you have to guess what they are, okay? Okay. Hang on the line. I'm not giving them to her. You guys are giving them to me. I don't even know what they are. You're giving her clues, and she's going to guess the category. Yep. That's right. And M1 Carpy, are you there? Yeah, what's up, babe?
Not too much. Carpies from Lemon Grove. And Woodsy is going to be your partner. Let's get it done, pal. He's going to be giving you clues for female categories that he has not seen yet. He'll see them in just a second. And you're going to have to try to figure it out, okay? Time to mind meld. Mind meld. You guys got a mind meld. Like maybe an example. No? No. We got it? All right. I'm nervous. Woods and I facing off. All right, Sienna. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to hand you the categories, okay? Okay. And you are going to have 60 seconds to give those categories to M1 Heather. Okay. And I have a timer here for you. Are you ready? Let's get Heather on the line. Heather, are you there? I'm ready. All right, here we go. You got a 60-second clock. And as best as you can get those categories to her, get those categories to her. Santa, are you ready? I'm ready. All right, Heather, let's go. Here we go. Acquadigio, Calvin Klein, smell real nice. What? Cologne.
Yes. You got it. Oh, man. This is a game that I have nothing... I don't know anything about it, really. We don't have a team here in San Diego. They play where it's cold. What? Hockey. Hockey. Yes. Okay. Ooh. Got... Ooh, okay. Urban Outfitters has them. DJs. No, DJs. Oh, gosh. Foot Locker. Foot Locker is one of them. Sports Chalet is one of them. Sports Chalet is one of them. They carry one gender's items mainly, and it's not ours. And you can buy things that you wear there. Okay, moving on, moving on. Pass. Okay, pass. BMW, Ferrari, Porsche. Sport cars. Yes. Oh, we still have more. Okay. That's it. That's it. How many did she get? Three. Okay, she got three. But on the second one, it was names of hockey teams. And she said, we don't have a team here in San Diego. And we don't. But she said team. So I think we have to deduct a point. Wait, what is the name of a men's clothing store? Let's see. You guys, there's not one men's. Oh, men's warehouse, but you can't say men's. See, there's not one men's clothing store. Joseph A. Banks. Joseph A. Banks.
Joseph A. Banks' one. I've never even heard of that. But you can say Banana Republic. I said Urban Outfitters, they have it there. Sport Chalet. Foot Locker. Those are good clues. That was the hardest category. Heather, you did really good. Heather, you did great. Hang on the line. Now, Carpy. Carpy, are you there? I am. All right, Carpy, you are going to be Woodsy's partner. Woodsy is getting the categories. You have 60 seconds, and here we go. Beautiful by Liz Claiborne. Thank you. Okay. Possession. I will remember you. Angel. Hold on. Pass. Okay. Mac. L'Oreal. Makeup. Maybelline, yes. Okay. Conditioner. Shampoo. Flat iron. Oh, permanent curling. No. All right, never pass. The blind side. The blind side. Jesse James. Oh, geez. Jesse James, the blind side. Oh, my God. It's hard. 28 days.
Hey, dude, that's not chick book, is it? No, what is it? I don't know, dude. Oh, my God. Oh, I knew that. Two to two. That had to have been Sandra Bullock. Movies with Sandra Bullock. It's hard when you're doing it, man. It is hard. It is hard. I got the perfumes. Two to two. The other one I was trying to give was Sarah McLachlan songs. Hold on. We skipped one. Possession. I know, you can go in any order. Can you? Can't you? Don't you have to pass? No, you don't have to go in order. You have to go in order. If you can't get it, you pass. No, you don't have to go in order. She didn't. I did. Did you? Yeah. No, because you didn't do that one. How about we give them both a prize? Yay! Yeah, but I went down the list. Right, so did I, but I skipped one. Hang on, okay? I just vomited my hand. It's hard, man. That is nerve-wracking. My heart is racing. I was like, holy cow. It's hard to do that. They both did really good, though, so we're going to give them both the prize. Huge. Last night was, or yesterday were elections here in San Diego. Don't know anything about them. Can't tell you anything about them. All right. All I know is that Meg Whitman is now going to be the Republican.
Candidate for governor here in California. The Democratic one is Brown. Jerry Brown. Yeah. Here is Meg Whitman last night. This victory is your victory. Does every female candidate sound just like Hillary Clinton when they speak? I thought she sounded like Sarah Palin. This victory is your victory. Yes, she does. Don't you know. Now, I just received a very gracious phone call from Steve Poizner conceding the race. Oh, my gosh. Turn the microphone down. The screaming in the microphone. I want to commend Commissioner Poizner and his supporters for the energy that they brought to this campaign. You're psyched. She's a Republican.
Something pretty crazy on the cover of the Union Tribune, though. Can I tell you that happened in San Diego? Yeah. After serving 15 years on the Poway City Council, Betty Rexford became the first member in the city's 30-year history to become recalled. I wonder why. Yeah, the vote was overwhelmingly against keeping her. Really? Yeah. I feel so stupid when it comes to all this stuff. It's our town that we live in. I know, and we should just, you know, our state. I know, our state, our town. You see the signs up everywhere? And I didn't read anything about him. I feel really guilty this year. Last year, you know, last voting term, I was really up on all the different topics. I really was. In our defense, though, we're really up on some other areas. And there's a lot of really crazy things happening right now. We just started a brand new show. Up to our elbows in pop culture. I have twins. How about that one? Can I use that? My wife is always making me do stuff around the house. I'm taking pole dancing classes. When am I supposed to find the time to learn about local politics? I've got PHCs to get and DJs to buy. I have a dog at home. There you go.
Whatever your excuse is, I think a lot of us listening right now are in the same boat. There are very few people that are really paying attention to that stuff and know what's going on. More than we bring people. Listen, I put a call out there. I said, if you know about these issues, call us. Maybe it was too early for those people. Is that what it was? It was just too early? Yeah, just wait until Facebook later, pal. Is it the voters? A lot of people know a lot about it, but when they're asked to explain it to others, it could be a little confusing. Yeah, that was actually live audio from one of the polls. I was actually at a polling area. I used the bathroom, but I think you have to be at your own. Because I thought about going in there, but I was in Orange County, and I was like, eh, you have designated. The only polling area you've been to is that strip. Oh, I've got a good excuse. I'm not a resident yet. There you go, Woodsy. Good for you. Just keep throwing illegal things out there on the air. Yeah, illegal. Hollow point bullets, you know. Yeah. Oh, wow, Woods. Oh, jeez. Oh, man. I don't even know who Heidi Montag is. The girl from the hills. Donald Duck says she's not hot. The idiot. Yeah, you held up her picture. She filed for legal separation. Don't even know what that means. Oh, really? Yeah. About time. I know. You know Heidi and Spencer. They're ridiculous. Oh, this is a good story. This is a crazy story.
Sienna, tell everybody about the really crazy photo that revealed something extraordinary from, of all places, Disneyland or Disney World. It just says Disney. Disney, okay. Like very rarely do I read stories because I go through so many stories a day to get new stuff. Do I like stop and like read it over and over again and actually like think about it the rest of the day? This one is one of those. I thought it was so cool. Alex and Donna Vucinia. Really good stretching on that last name. They're about to get married. Days before their wedding, they're going and sitting through old pictures of when they were young and stuff. A little slideshow bit. Yeah. Donna pulls out a picture of she and her family on vacation at Disney. We're going to say Disneyland because it's closer to our house. Sure. So they're at Disneyland, and it shows a picture of Donna with her sibling, and they're posed with Mr. Smee from Disney's Peter Pan. Okay. In the background.
You can see people walking around, and Donna's showing her fiancé Alex this picture. Look, it's Mr. Smee when I was at Disney. And he's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You see this guy in the background? And she's like, yeah. There's a guy in the background pushing a stroller behind them as opposed. It's his dad pushing him when he was little. How crazy is that? I just got goosebumps telling him again. That is amazing, dude. I love that. What would you do? He's like, that's me. That's fate. Don't believe in soulmates? Oh my gosh. So he said, he's released a statement and it's just like, just to be in the same picture with my wife when we were basically toddlers, it's unbelievable. You know too, you know this. You know that there's some cold heart out there that goes, yeah, you know what that proves? Proves that there were two people at Disneyland at the same time. In the same picture? I mean, maybe, I'm sure maybe that happens, but like to be able to recognize it in a picture? Can you imagine being the girl, right? And you're like, You know, look at this. This is me as a kid, blah, blah, blah. The guy freaks out. Or whatever. You're freaking out. You find out that it's your husband. I would cry. As a child in the background. And the guy that you're going to marry goes, oh, well. So we're there at the same day. We're there at the same day. I would be like, you are not meant to be me, you jerk. This is amazing. It's pretty amazing. That's awesome. You know, that's like a weird, not phobia, maybe partial phobia of mine to be caught in the background of people's pictures.
Really? Yeah, because how many pictures do you guys have, like family photo albums, and you're laughing at the person in the background making a ridiculous face or something? So whenever I see people being like, one, two, I'm like, ah! And I run out of the frame because I'm so terrified that for the next 50 years, you're going to be like, look at that girl and her stupid face. And see, I'm the guy that wants to purposefully be in the background of people's pictures. And ruin them? Yeah. Michael! Make the funny face. I got a way to do it. You guys are jerks. It's so cute. Donna, the woman in this situation, she said, I was glad he proposed to me before the picture because I know that it's because he loves me and not because he thought it was meant to be, because it was fate. That is cool. Yeah. That's cool. Was it? Yes. That's amazing. What if you saw a picture of you with your family, Mike, and Rebecca was in the background? You would freak out. Yeah, there's no getting around it. That's too awesome. A little obese Mikey at a taco stand with his dad. Rebecca with blonde little pigtails. Blonde little ringlets behind you. All cute. I'm behind her all obese. Overalls. Feasting on tacos. Lauren watched Dirty Dancing last night and cried. Weird. Weird. So good. Did I get this right yesterday? Maybe we should talk about this off the air. No, let's do it now.
Did you and Woods, or did you and Jay? I'm Woods. I know. I'm Jay. You're Mikey. Did you guys have an embarrassing thing happen in the back? Oh, my gosh. Can we talk about it? And for once? Yeah, it's not about me. Can we talk about it? Yeah, we can talk about it. For once, it wasn't me. You guys going to be adults about this? No, I'm an adult. I have so many different images in my mind right now. Okay. Should I do it or you? I'll start. Let me start. Yeah, you start. All right. So we were all we were all go. Remember, we all went to lunch the other day and whatever. And we were going to walk out. We all like to ride down together because we're seven. And so we're all like all of us have to go. Number one. And we're like, just just wait. Everybody wait by the elevator. So me and Jay go into the bathroom. We go running in. Really quick. I'd like to point out that Lauren and I were like, screw you. We're not waiting. And they were trying to get me to go with you. Yeah. They're like, be a rebel, be a rebel. The elevator doors were closing, and I could see his face, and we were like, come on. You know what? Band of Brothers. Band of Brothers, I waited. Don't leave a man behind. He knows that his boyfriend's going to get real mad if he's going to wait for him. Really? If it had just been me, Mikey would have gone. Or me. So we walk into the bathroom, and it was stinky.
It smelled like pineapple. It smelled like pineapple mixed with the other. Okay. Right. You got it. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah. Pineapple poop. Yes. So, listen. We walk in and Jay is in front of me and it hit me. I could hear you guys all the way in the lobby. Jay goes, whoa. That's what I heard. As loud as he could. He goes, whoa. And I go, like that. And I had my thing up immediately over my nose. He's sure he's covering his nose. Well. We walk in, turn the corner, and there's a dude who just finished up washing his hands. I'm face to face with him. Face to face. My woe is in his face. I try to go. I go, whoa. And I look at him. I go, what's good job? Yeah, seriously. And then we both had to do our business. So we're standing side by side, and I'm laughing so hard. He was still washing it, drying it up. Oh, he was mortified. No, he kind of had a smirk on his face. Did he have a smirk? I think I killed that. When you let a mom like that go, don't you just get out of that bathroom? Yes. You may go home, box your stuff up, and move. Because this was that bad. I went home and boxed my clothes up and moved. I'll tell you what, dude. I was sitting there having to go number one with my shirt over my mouth. You know me and my stuff. I was like... What did you say about your teeth? I was on my teeth, dude. You said you wanted to brush your teeth. Yeah, and then I got home. And this is no lie. I got home.
I got home. And Jamie, she had gone to the store. And I go, well, what'd you get? And she has this fresh tub of fresh pineapple. Oh, no way. And she had just, a whole pineapple. She diced it up real good. And I go, oh, cool. And just left it. I haven't had a piece. That's hysterical. What if it wasn't him, though? No, it was him. It was fresh, and it was ripe. How many times have you walked into a bathroom, and it stinks, but you have to go, so you stay in and go, and someone else walks in and thinks that it was you that did it? It was following him. It was following him. Yeah, he owned it. That guy had some... He was at a Luau. I think he was Hawaiian. Maybe he had some Hawaiian pizza. Maybe. No, they have air fresheners in the bathroom. That's probably where the pineapple was. No, it wasn't. They do in the girls' bathroom. Nope. Smells like Freddy Pebbles. No, it was rancid. 570-1949. Have your friends ever embarrassed you this way? Yeah, they got in. You mean like right now, Mike? Is that what you're talking about? Yeah. Can we tell your two little instances? What? No. Can we not? Write it down. You know what I'm talking about. Do we? Oh. Are you going to? Well, I won't say who.
I just won't say who. Don't describe anything. But I... This is dangerous. No, it's not. It's not. I'm scared. I'm feeling alive right now. No, it's not. It's good. Get that dumb button ready. There's not very many people that work in this building. There's a bathroom here that is a single bathroom, meaning that it doesn't have stalls. Just a single. And it also means it's for only singles, no doubles in the bathroom. Because a lot of people are running the halls here. Right. It's a unisex bathroom. But it's singles only. It's like number ones only. Only one person can go in. And also only number one. That's not a rule. People are running doubles. It should be. It should be. You have no tact if you do. People break it all the time. But anyway, so I, the door is closed, which it often is. And I open the door and there's someone in there. And he goes, sorry about that. And I go. No problem. Shouldn't have been you saying sorry about that since you walked in on him? No, because he didn't lock the door. He didn't lock. But you should knock before you open. No, you shouldn't. You shouldn't knock. Yes, you should. Here's what you do. If it's closed. No, it's closed a lot. It's never closed for me. It's never closed for me. Here's the deal. Anytime it's closed for me, I'm not. Wait a second, you guys. We got to talk about this. You're telling me I was out of line? Yes. No. 100%. Oh my gosh. You locked the door. It's a single.
These women are suggesting you... Excuse me, is anyone in there? I knock every time. Someone could be in there. Is it worth not doing a real quick... You did the handle check. No, he didn't. When you push the handle down and it goes down, that means, hey, I'm free to go in. Why is there a lock on the door? And why wouldn't you... Excuse me. What person goes to do something very, very private and doesn't lock the door? I lock the door in my house. Isn't anything private in there? Isn't that private? Isn't one private? Yeah, you're still holding your piece. You guys do it in front of each other all the time. No. Not at work. No. Do you stand next to each other and talk about the weather? It doesn't matter. There's this thing in between you. This is a singles only bathroom. Lock the door. His back is towards you. You're going to see him. You're not going to see anything. So then the next day. The next day. You didn't learn your lesson? The next day. He didn't do anything wrong. How about he learned his? He got walked in on. Lock the door. Yes.
You are at fault. You're both equally at fault. They're both insane, I think. I think they're crazy. You are... Hello, you didn't learn your lesson and you did it again? There is no lesson for him to learn. The lesson is if it's closed, it doesn't necessarily... I mean, if it's unlocked, it doesn't mean it's unoccupied. The lesson is... Is this a guy and girl thing 5701949? Are we getting this wrong, Woods? Are we getting this wrong? Maybe guys and girls call. You go into a single, you lock the door, you do your business, you walk out. Yes, you lock the door, but you always knock too. No! Why else would it be closed? Was it the same guy? Yes! Next day. Next day. Open the door. That's your bad, dude. No way! Dreadfully sorry about that. You learn from your mistakes. Gosh, Mike. It's like you want to catch them in action. You wanted to. You did. Now I was asking for it. Now he's like, let's see who's in here today. Surprise!
So watch little Mikey from now on. Yeah, why not? How hard is it to knock? You just knock real quick. How hard is it to lock? Hey, it's a one. Yeah, it's as easy to lock as it is to knock. Okay, but he assumes. Well, then there you go. He assumes, hey, if the doors close, it's only a single person bathroom. It means someone's in there. Not necessarily. It means you're containing the funk. I would never go in there. You can't contain the funk. It needs to air out. Jay, what would you do? Closed door. Do you knock? I do not knock. If you don't knock the door, I'm coming in. Neither do the girls. They don't knock either. I do knock every time. My question, Mike, is did the curtains match the drapes? Stop it. Wait. No. I don't even go in that bathroom when the door is closed because I'm afraid of the smell alone. Yeah. There's no windows in there. Nice. Keep yours. Are people calling? Yeah, they are. We'll talk to them. We'll talk to them next. Mikey and his eclectic taste. I do. You just never know. I love it. You just redeemed yourself with that one for the whole day. Redeemed Jojo with a Pete Yorn? Yep. $48 million being cut from the California budget, and you're not going to like what they're cutting. I'll tell you next.

Pop's favorite band. My dad likes the spinners.
Yeah, dude, spinners are good, too. Welcome back. It's a Mikey show. So we're getting people to call and tell us what they think. If you're at work and you got a bathroom at work with a door closed, the girls are very adamant. What are you guys, mongrels? You knock on the door. And me and Woods are like, lock the door. You lock the door. Well, I do both. Yeah, you obviously lock the door, too, but I mean, like, if you're walking up to a bathroom and the door is closed, you don't just barge it. Oh, by the way, by the way. What? I just thought of this. I go in there, okay, and I lock the door. Yeah. Never one time have I been in there and... Never. And if that happened, I'd be like, I'm in here. This would be me. This would be me. Yeah. Really? Looking back. That happened to me yesterday. What am I going to do? Occupado. First of all, you would say ocupado. Occupado. But that happened to me yesterday. And what do you do? I thought it was Woods playing a prank on me. Maybe it was. Yes, I'm in here. I said, yo. Really? Yeah. Okay, I would much rather that happen than me have the door locked.
in the bathroom, sitting there, and someone wiggling the door. I'm like, oh my gosh. That happens too. That happens all the time. That's fine for the door to wiggle because it's locked. Yeah, but sometimes locks. Wiggle away. Wiggle away. Hey, turd burglar, I'm in here. Yeah. Don't worry about it. But it's like, hey, chill out. The door is closed. How about you give me a courtesy knock? No. Instead of barging in. That's what you do at somebody's house. Michael, where did the saying, someone's in here, come from? That comes from if you're in a stall. Yeah, if you're in a stall. Why is a stall different than a one-person bathroom? Because when you go into a bathroom that has stalls, they... I don't know. She got you. See? She got you. It isn't. It isn't. You can look underneath and see if there's feet in a stall. There is no debate. No, no, no. Wait, wait, wait. She's got me. I have to just answer what the real answer is because I know that it's right that you don't knock. So I have to give her the real answer. Where did the phrase... She's got a good legitimate question. Yeah. Then where did the phrase... Someone's in here come from. Someone's in here... Oh, I know what... I got it. Oh, okay. What? It comes from when the door comes flinging open. Not because... Yes. What do you say... No. Excuse me. What do you say when you're sitting there and... The door's flung open? The door flings open and somebody walks in. Get out. I say... You go, I'm in here. You go, you go, you go, in here. No, I don't. Yeah, exactly.
No, when someone knocks, you say someone's in here. You know who that doesn't happen to? The person that locks the door. No, in the stall. Those things are real loosey-goosey. Have you ever had a broken lock? Because I have numerous times. Yeah, I put my foot against it. Yeah, me too. Well, you can't put your foot against it when you're in the unisex bathroom. I make a paper wedge out of the paper towels and I wedge it in the door. M1 reality check from San Diego. Yeah, I'm fully on team boys here. That a girl. There you go. Love it. You're going to love it real nice when guys walk in and get a full view of you. Yeah, lock the door. No, lock the door. Both. Yes, we say that too. You do both. We're obviously saying you lock the door. You don't have to know. M1 reality check, let me ask you. Do you knock on the door? No. No. to the restroom you're like kind of in a hurry maybe sometimes if the door is closed it takes so long to knock you're gonna go in hey now trust me i will now i mean i have learned my lesson now well now woods i'm like let them shame you into that too no it isn't twice it isn't that it's just that i'm like well some people don't get it they don't lock the door like i assumed everybody locks the door
And Lauren and I do lock the door. We lock it every time. We're not saying you don't need to. You absolutely need to. What we're saying is, why not just knock before you walk in and before you just open the door? Now, let me ask you, Sienna. If you're in there and you do lock the door, you say. Yes. If you hear, you don't think that's weird? I think it's weirder to hear someone trying to get in while I'm in there. Not me. No, I think the knock is creepy. Yeah, dude, the door's shut. The door's locked. I'm in here. Oh my gosh, the door wiggle is so much worse. I get terror. Not me. Did I lock it? Did I push it all the way? You know what I do? I sit there in confidence and I go... Look at me with the door all locked. Look at Big Boy on the body with the door all locked. Because we work at Fort Knox here, the little lock is like a... Say it. It's a tiny little button that can easily break. And you guys, you know, to make it not as big of a deal, because you didn't see that guy's piece when he's going to the bathroom. His back is to the door. Lauren and I are hovering over the toilet, squatting with our pants around our ankles.
We need to get a full frontal shot. I understand, which is why it's appropriate for that door to be locked. Lock and knock. We agree. You should lock. That's the saying. That's the slogan. M1 Moniker from Mission Valley. Lock and knock. Hey, Mark, you got to knock. Really? There you go. Yes. Yes. Did you grow up in a palace or something? You don't have to knock. Did you grow up in a barn? Yeah, what is this, Dubai? Yeah, what are we, in Dubai? Listen to him. Go ahead, dude. Sorry. We missed you. I said, I locked the door before, and it didn't click right, and I didn't walk in on. See? You have to not. You guys are talking about something as random as a lock failure. That's what their argument is. Hey, Mike, you know how often people press the button and King Kong comes along and breaks it, you know. How many times have you been in a stall and the lock doesn't lock? It happens to me like one out of five times I'm in a stall. Zero times. Exactly zero times. You're a liar. Well, Mikey doesn't.
go that anywhere other than his home. That is true. So he's fine. It doesn't matter. Whatever you're doing. You have been in stalls and the lock doesn't close. Nah. Let's see. You just said you made a paper airplane. M1 Jennifer from San Diego. Jerk. Hi there. You know what? Whenever I go into a single bathroom, I always check the lock. I will lock it, reach around to the front of the door, make sure it's locked, and then do my business. You're a smart kid. She's looking out for number one because you never know what kind of King Kong is going to come around. She's looking out for number one in case she has to go number two. It doesn't matter either one. For a girl. If you work in a small office and there's one main bathroom that everyone goes in because it's the one by everyone's office and that door is closed when it's normally open, you're not going to knock before you walk in there? I just hung up. I feel like a dork. No, you shouldn't. If you knock, you're a dork. Oh, the door shut. Mike's whistling and knocking on a door. Yeah, I'm in here. You are so dramatic. Who does that? Nobody knocks and puts their ear. I'm about to try this door. I just want to make sure. Hi, John. How are you doing? I'm just testing to see if anybody's in there. Is there anybody in here? Before I try, I'm not going to touch the door.
But if there's anybody in here before I try this. Oh, my gosh. It's as simple as this. Okay. No response. Here I go. Yeah. And if they do say, hey, you know, someone's in here or make a noise, then they don't even know it's you because you just keep walking. You just walk away. M1 Joey from Fallbrook. Hey. Yeah. Hey, Joey. This is the greatest conversation I've ever had. Go ahead, Joey. I've been. Washing my hands after going to the bathroom in a single. And I forgot to lock the door. And a guy came in, looked at me, like looked around and went, oh. But he came in anyway and started dropping. No. Saddled up. Saddled up. Wait, he just said dropping? Dropping drawers? Yeah, you guys know what he did. He saddled up. Yeah, he toed. He toed. He didn't know. No, he was saddled up. Did he two or one? Joey? Yeah. Did he two or one? Dude. That's what I thought. He's a duster! With him washing his hands next to him. Can you imagine the guy that you walked in on? He's washing his hands. You walk in and just drop trowel. You know what I'm saying? I'd go, are you a wolverine? You know what I'm saying? I was like, dude, can you wait a second? I would spritz him with my way. And by the way, Joey.
Yeah. How did you forget to lock the door? It happens. He forgot. You do? Yeah. Like, I am so afraid of that happening. You do it at home? Do I lock the door at home? Yeah. Yeah. I do, too. I don't at home? I'll lock the door at home if nobody's there. Really? I'm a weirdo because I don't. I'm a weirdo because I want to do something very private in private. You don't want to do it in a field, yeah. Yeah. Maybe I should just go out into the middle of the field. Wait a minute. On the grass. What is this, a commune? All right, well, you have kids running around, but if it was just you and Rebecca, would you lock the door? I do. You do? Yes. Why? Because it's my private time. So you're afraid someone's going to bust in on you. Yeah, my wife used to. She used to be like, what are you doing? I'm like, I'm in there. Leave me alone. But she's really great now, but she doesn't do that anymore. And, like, girls are like that. Like, how do you not? get so creeped out self-conscious if you're doing that. In my own home? Yes, and your boyfriend or your husband or whatever walks in. Wouldn't you feel like a creep? I guess you're right. Todd would never walk in. He would know that the door's closed so I'm in there and he would make a joke like, what are you doing? And I'd be like, yeah, you know what I'm doing. If Jamie's in there with the door closed, I'd pack my car and go somewhere for the weekend. If I believe that my wife might be doing that, I move to Nevada. I go to...
L.A. to see my friend Jay Rhodes. See, around another guy, I don't care. I still do. I don't do it in front of you guys. With Kim, I wouldn't want to do it. I just put my hand against the door and hold it shut. You guys are something else. Why not just be safe and knock? Hey, lock and knock. Lock and knock. That's the slogan. Yes. T-shirts. Let's see. What have I not told you already? Oh, what's up with the lost World War II battlefield? What is that? This was found in New Guinea. No, it's like a coin. An Australian trekkers just said that he discovered the site and it's really significant from world. Not that kind of trekker. Greetings from World War Two. And it's in the jungles of New Guinea. And I guess he was he was walking around in an area where like the locals usually hunt near this area, but they avoided the 600 square. meter battleground because they believe that their spirits from the dead were still present in this lost battlefield. And so this guy walked through and then there's still bodies and stuff like that from World War II on the ground. Yeah. On the ground? Can't be. Well, soldiers, yeah, they're right where they fell 70 years ago is what this guy says. Skeletons. Cambodia? Skeletons. Yeah, well, skeletons. They found skeletons. The remains of the soldiers were right lying exactly how they fell 70 years ago during World War II. Hmm. Yeah.

I made an interesting observation over the weekend about myself, which was, at what age do we just start to use the word wonderful? Lauren. Yep, I admit when I'm wrong. Woods. If I had my choice, I'd be sitting on a beach having a Marlboro, doing nothing, sitting, playing my guitar, that's it. Sienna. Yes, I have big boobs. And Jay. I'm so tired. On FM 94.9. What's the most comforting food in the world to you? To me? Yep, mashed potatoes.
I was just going to say. Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes. What about mashed potatoes for dinner and ice cream for dessert? Maybe cheesecake in the ice cream. My mama used to make this. My mama. My mama used to make this casserole that had noodles and chicken in it. It was noodles, chicken, and maybe cream of chicken soup. And it had crumbled up like crackers on the top of it. It was on the back of the soup label how to make that. I just had something very similar. My wife made chicken divan is what we call it. Say what? It's called chicken divan. It's where you make chicken, but you eat it in the van. In the van. Chicken divan. It's just chicken, broccoli, cheese, Ritz cracker crumbs on the top. Dude. You had some. It was good. Did you like it? It's really good. There's like mayonnaise in there too. I want to know why it's called DeVan. I think you guys just make that. No, it's a Southern thing. No. I'm telling you because you eat it in DeVan. Yeah. Really Frank. Let's see. So we were telling people, call us up. Tell us something really great going on. You know what this came from? I'll just pull the curtain back. Do it. Yesterday we got a call and it was this dude and he had his girlfriend with him.
And he was calling to tell us he had just turned this new girl he's dating on to the Mikey show. And she got on the line and you could tell she was so giddy about this dude. Well, they were kind of giddy about each other. And I said to everybody in the office yesterday, I go, did you guys kind of get high off that? And everybody was like, yeah. Like we all had the same experience. We didn't say it, but we all had the same experience. That could be anything. It was cool to hear people so happy. It was. It's contagious. I was like a happy vampire. I was, like, feeding off of it. Yeah. We sat there and we tried to, like, we're like, how can we, like, get that out there, man? We want to bottle that. We want to bottle that and snort it. Especially because there's so many, like, all the news stories are so depressing, you know? Let's get some happiness. M1 Laurie from... Hi, Mikey. Tierra Santa Watts. Yeah, it's a happy girl. Already working. What's up? I am, right? Yeah. That's right. Yeah, Lori, M1 Lori from My House Is Worth What? She's a friend of mine, and she was on the TV show My House Is Worth What? What's going on? Well, I was going to be your test tube baby on setting somebody up, and I was like, oh, I can never meet a guy. I can never meet a guy. Yeah. We talked about it, and then the whole thing got nixed, and I was like, oh, I'm never going to find a guy. Well, you know, I found a guy.
And his name is Adam, and he's awesome, and we just bought a house together. Hey! Yay! Your house is worth what? Oh, yeah. And you guys are stoked. I'm sorry, you go. You're stoked, right? I'm so stoked. And then we got in because right before the federal tax credit went away, so we got like the $8,000 tax credit. And then we got in just in time for the new one for California, so we became like homeowners, plus we got like $18,000 of tax credit. Nice. Can I get a loan? Yeah, I can help everybody out. I can help everybody out. Thank you. Lori, congratulations on that. That's very cool. Big ups. M1 Victor from Point Loma. Hey, what's up, Mike? You sure? What's up, dude? What's up, brother? How are you? Doing good, doing good. Oh, I was calling because, you know, me and my wife, we've been married for seven years now. And we had been trying three years ago to have a baby and with nothing coming. And then, like, all of a sudden my wife got pregnant and we now have a little baby girl. Nice. That's her name. Nice, bro. You've got goosebumps. Oh, pretty. That's great, dude. That is great.
It's, I mean, it's a different feeling being a dad. You know, today's my first day back at work and I miss it like crazy. I bet that's hard. You get the kid all choked up over here. I know that, man. You know, it was a, what's that song? It's a real cheesy song from Aerosmith. I don't want to miss a thing. Yeah. I know. Total cheesy song from Aerosmith. There's a line, never seen the movie, but know the song. Of course I haven't. That's a great song. I heard about it and the movie sounds so. dumb. It's good. Really? It is. Anyway, there's a line in the song that says, well, the lyrics of the song are, I don't want to close my eyes because I don't want to miss a thing. And I remember when Jake was born and we had just had him at home. I literally didn't want to go to sleep because I'd be looking at him. I didn't want to stop looking at him. I just wanted to stare at him. And so you don't want to go to sleep. You just want to look at him. Now, then they start getting a personality, crying, throwing stuff and being whack jobs. They turn into complete whack jobs. You know, we got three of them now. And, you know, they're like little mental patients. So it's not always like that. Like, sometimes I'm like, oh, my gosh, I just want to close my eyes. I just want to fall asleep. I don't miss you, babies. And I could miss all of this right now.
But in the beginning, you know. Oh, I can't wait. For sure. It's pretty cool. It just made me so excited. M1 Rami from Claremont. You there? Yeah, I'm here. How you doing, Mike? Good, dude. What do you got going on? Well, what I have going on is something, I guess, you know, I guess it's considered pretty common, but not too much with me, you know, because I'm a big family guy. And it's cool because I got a little brother. You know, he's really busy with school. He goes to work and everything. He's really busy. I got a sister. Older than me. So I'm in the middle and first time in a long time. We're going to be just hanging out today, spending the day. Oh, dude. Let me tell you, man. When you get those days where you get to get time with the whole family and that doesn't happen very often, those are great. Those are killer. My brother. I think it's taken for granted a lot. Absolutely, man. My little brother is coming to visit. Like a month, and I can't even tell you how excited I am to see his face and hang out with him all day. That's awesome. Let's see. Phone line's blowing up, and also we're getting a lot of texts coming in too. M1 Baloo texted in and said, long-time listener. Glad you moved to 94.9. What's awesome in my life? After a five-year friendship, I fell in love.
And we're getting married October 10th. Yay! Very nice. See? It does happen. Friends with benefits. Well, it doesn't have to be friends with benefits. It could be friends and it develops into love, right? Yeah. Isn't that a benefit? What? Love. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I think, in fact, I think that if it's the best marriages are if it is a really good friend, right? Yeah. You know? Gotta be. They got to be your best friend. That's my best pal over there. I'm a little angel. Dude, you don't have to call me a little angel. Thanks for saying what we all were thinking. Mikey, listening from St. Paul, Minnesota, just became an auntie for the first time. How are you doing? Minnesota. Love my niece so much, M1 Amanda. Very nice. Congratulations. Let's see. 570-1949 is our number. You give us a call at the beginning and end of every show. You can call right now about anything you want. And I think we got to everything today. Oh, the $48.3 billion that's being cut. People ain't going to like this. Mm-hmm. Being cut from what? Million, Mike. The San Diego Unified School Board yesterday approved cutting $48.3 million in spending school boards, including eliminating adult education and reducing funding for magnet programs. Wow. Yeah.
It's pretty nuts. They can't play the magnets anymore? I don't know. Wiping all the magnets out of the school. What is his top country artist for the past 25 years? Yeah. It's a country artist who's been named the number one for the last 25 years. He's the top seller. George Strait. Did you see my list? No, I didn't. I love George Strait. It's George Strait. He sells a lot of records. He's had 44 number one hits. He's had 82 top 10 singles. Wow. And he's the only artist in Billboard history to achieve 10 singles in 30 consecutive years. He's got that wonderful song. I blamed it all on my boots. It's all in your roots. And your roots are just something else. In all the world, you'll never find a love as true as mine. That was beautiful. Sure it was. No, just kidding. Garth Brooks was number two, but everyone thought that Garth was going to get it, but he did it. Congrats to George Strait. He is the man. He is the man. Fort Worth, Texas. Is he? Yeah, you know that. How about that? You know the oil that's coming out of the ground in the BP deal? They're saying that the BP may actually not be telling us the right figures. Weird.
There's actually a lot more that's coming out than they're saying. Yes, scientists have been analyzing the flow. And yesterday they said that the amount of oil still escaping may be considerably more than what BP and the government have estimated. And, you know, BP has been claiming it as fact. And it's not. It's an estimation. Now, why? Isn't it so that they can, like, they don't have to pay as much if it's not a certain amount? Well, I'm sure. I don't know. I don't want to say this, but I think it is if they know that it's more or if they think maybe it could be more, they don't want to tell us to make it any worse. And they're held to certain legal standards. And so they're trying to keep it under the minimum. Yeah. I'm sorry. Under the maximum. Yeah. Let's see. Well done. Hey, want to let people know that our boy Jared over at create your design online dot com can do it up for you. If you are. Just go to his website, createyourdesignonline.com. He did our billboards, did our bumper stickers. Guy's an amazing graphic artist. Website. Yeah, our website. Does logos. I saw it on the side of a bus yesterday. Yeah. I was excited. Yeah, it's cool. So if you want to have the same guy that did all that for us doing stuff for you, for $150, he'll do a logo for you, give you business cards.
And he'll even do the card design, the whole thing. It's a phenomenal deal. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. Hillary, what do you got going on today? That's funny. He did all my billboards, too. That's right. He did all the Hillary billboards. Websites. That's right. People would crash their cars. They would. Yeah. If you go to HillaryIsAwesome.com, you can see some of the beautiful work that he's done there. What are you doing, Hill? Oh, I kind of got here early so I could pick out some good stuff. Let me ask you. Let me ask you before you do this. Yes. What? The single bathroom. Did you hear us talking about single bathroom? I did. Okay, so when you go there, do you always knock on that door or do you just walk, try to open it? The one in the hallway? Yeah, yeah, yeah. If it's closed. If it's closed, I don't even go near it. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Right, I go to the hallway. You know someone's in there or it reeks. Right. Oh, yeah. Jay? Yeah. That's an interesting point. If it's closed, that's a signal that someone's in the hallway. Something's up. I just don't even go near it. I wait until it's open. I agree. So the door needs to be open. It's always open. The only time I've ever seen it closed is when people are in there. I'm going to start shutting it. Now on. Yeah. That's funny. There's a comedian who has a bit about being walked in on. I want to say Doug Benson, but about being walked in on bathroom stalls. And I forget exactly what he says, but it's something about like if you're in a crowded bathroom and.
And someone's trying your stall door. You scream. This is how you get someone to never do it again. You scream at them. Get in here. That's awesome. Well, I said earlier, everybody has the same reaction. Everybody says the same thing. I'm in here. Somebody's in here. There's a female comedian that says someone's in there. And she says, why are we all afraid to say, hey, I'm in here. Mike Esparza is in here. Because you don't want to say that. You know why? in case you were doing the two and they, I don't know. But they'll be there. Yeah, I guess they're waiting for you. Who's this elusive someone? Right. If you say someone, they're going to look you in your deadlights and walk out going,
You know, they said someone. I don't know who the someone is. I almost want to just walk in on someone just to hear them say that and be like, you mean you're in here? You mean Brian McDaniel is in here, Brian, because I'm looking at you, bro. Hey, everyone, Brian McDaniel's in here. Hey, yeah, Brian McDaniel's in here, guys. If you want to see him, he's sitting here. Right? It's ridiculous. Hillary, what do you got coming up today? What do you got? I grabbed Rocket from the Crypt, Scream, Dracula Scream record. I'll play something off that. The National Band of Horses, The Clash, weird. Also, White Stripes, second record. Good stuff, good stuff. I love it. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next, and we will take a 20-hour break, and then we'll come back and do it all over again. Mikey Show's out, right? Lincoln Financial Radio Station. Mikey in the Morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
