The Mikey Show - FM 94.9 - 06/10/10

Thursday June 10, 2010
There are more problems with Apple’s IPad. LOB gets her kicks ribbing Mikey. Woods’ IPhone has taken a beating. Pictures over a dying Gary Coleman have been released. Hey Cletus, it’s the CMT awards, y’all! Mikey’s Keith Urban impression will have you in stitches. Chargers continue to have off season signing problems with two star players. To The Kid’s delight, USC gets slapped for what Reggie Bush did. Terrell Owens’ singing abilities will make you cringe, but Mikey still wouldn’t mind if the Chargers signed him. Urban Survivor and the cast were left to survive on food at the fair and took some fried grenades. Myths about veggies and food leads to Sienna saying “you can milk anything with nipples”. Kevin Costner, the man who invented a contraption to turn urine into drinking water in Waterworld, claims he invented a machine (“the Costnerizer”) that would clean up the gulf oil spill. Woodsy’s pal wants his girlfriend to enlarge those breasts, and this sparks a big debate. Sienna’s flat friend caught her boyfriend looking at bigboobs.com. San Diego trivia proves to be the easiest game ever. MMMMOOOOOOMMMM! I want my own Christmas card! LOB’s sad story of the end her dad’s annual Christmas bit follows. The biggest topic of the day is next; a M1’s boyfriend wants to keep his box o’ memories with pictures, love letters, and poems of his ex-girlfriends. Sonny from P.O.D. calls in to promote his Haiti benefit. Aunt Kathy gets the barbershop treatment. The Kid plows through a ton of spaghetti and Lauren can slay an entire pizza. Jay ate a block of cheese and Sienna downed 40 won tons. What is the Mikey Show curse? Of all of my addictions, The Mikey Show is the healthiest! Fictional character’s real names are a funny eye opener. Hoyle gets busted when his mama calls in to say she found his “porno” box. What does Ralph Machccio think of the new Karate Kid? The Pad Squad comes in to the studio to promote the next home stand and give away tickets. LOB is jaded and cynical, which leads to some good jokes. Rampage Jackson is one buff dude. A M1 ends the show with a Woodsy haiku.

San Diego, Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Blue microphone. A lot of people don't even know that. Then I used to use it over at the other station. My friend Russ turned me on to this microphone, and it almost makes me sound a little too manly. Pretty manly. It's a manly microphone. Well, you're a manly dude. No, that's the problem. See, when I first used it, I thought, I'm not a manly dude, but this makes me sound manly? Right. Woodsy thinks I'm manly, which is really kind. Do I? Well, you just said you did, and it made me think you did. Don't believe everything you hear, pal. Man, you got me. L.O.B.'s holding up the hand heart. Starting the bromance early this morning. But it may be a little too... Hey, how you doing? What's happening with all you? Look at the last song I played today. Sound a little like that guy? Yeah, Barry White. You did a pretty good Barry White. Yeah, it's like singing in Boys to Men.
You know what I mean? LLB's giving me the hand heart again. Where's Jay with the endless love? Hey, we got accused yesterday, LLB, during the meeting of they got to separate you and I because people think that you and I talk. That's because we both have ADD. I think that is a problem. Yeah, you're both shiny, happy people. Yes. Holding hands. If we see shiny keys, man, we're off. Oh, yeah. We would not make a good bass or trout. We'd be caught every time. As soon as we saw that little shiny lure in the water, snap. It'd be over. Nobody draw Mikey as a bass and Lauren as a trout. 570-1949 is our telephone number. If you want to give us a call, 949mikey at gmail.com. Woodsy is cold, right? It's an igloo in here. Yeah, it is. It is. Maybe you put some shoes on. Maybe you guys drink some coffee or something. I did. Maybe you guys. Maybe you get a sweatshirt. Put on a sweatshirt. Let's just put his hoodie on. It's not that cold. I can see my breath. Me too. Everybody listening, it's 70 degrees in the studio. It's not. It's actually 72 right now. Okay, that's what that thing claims, but it ain't true. You guys. You can't see that? No, but the smaller one is the accurate one. Oh. 570.
1-94-9. Give us a call. Beginning and end of every show, open phone. So you can call about anything you'd like. There's big stuff out there today. The Gary Coleman pictures that were released. We'll talk about that. We'll talk about Delta Airlines, big mix-up that they had. That's pretty gnarly. Oh, I would kill them. Oopsie. Oh, yeah. First, real quickly, I'm Mikey. That's Woodsy. That's Lauren. That's Sienna. That's Jay. And we are... Host, sports, assistant producer, news and producer, respectively. Very good. Wow. Apple had their worst security breach yet, which is saying something since, I don't know, their new iPhone was released to the public on the Internet about a month and a half before it was announced. Yeah, because one of their employees left the iPhone prototype in a bar.
In a bar. Yeah. Allegedly. So people got their hands on it. No, they did. They did. But I guess the allegedly part that maybe L.O.B. means is like, did they really accidentally leave it there? Or did they leave it there on purpose so it could be seen by the whole world and everybody could go, that's cool. I got to get my hands on one to create buzz for when it did come out. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. They did it wirelessly. So what's their new security breach? Well, Apple has. suffered from another embarrassment. Security Breach has just exposed iPad owners, including dozens of CEO, military officials, top politicians, anyone who has an iPad, basically, you're kind of in trouble. Over 114,000 iPad owners have been exposed. And by exposed, I mean email addresses, your IDs, all been hacked into. That's perfect. Yeah.
press my buttons and she loves to get me. So she does it. Oh my gosh, Mike, what will you do? Well, you're the only one on the show that has an iPad. Yes. Whatever. I'm fine. I'm all right. I don't have anything on there. Go ahead. Do whatever you're going to do. You want them to have your email stuff and all your passwords? No. It doesn't bother you. Celebrities. That's all out there now. Birth certificate scan down there and everything. Yeah, but the celebrity. No, I don't have my birds. Isn't your green card on there? All of the data was obtained by a group calling itself Goatsy Security. Your Mexican-ness is what defines you. That's right. Goatsy Security failed again? I'm just kidding. I don't know. Goatsy. Don't trust the Goatsy. Well, how do you do? How do you trust a security company? It's called Goatsy. And when they were coming up with names in a boardroom for their company. There wasn't one guy that was like, I mean, was the leader of that company so powerful that everyone was afraid to be like, I don't know about Goatee. I don't like it. Maybe we come up with something else like, you know, security or us. The big man came down and was like, it's Goatee. He's like, we're going to use it. I don't care what you say.
They're saying the slip-up appears to be AT&T's fault, not Apple's. Really? Yeah. Whatever, man. M1 Kent from Camp Pendleton. What's going on? Hey, not much. I just want to call in. So you guys are great. You guys freaking crack me up every morning on my way to work. Thank you. Thank you, dude. It's just not that cold. I'm in the middle of Camp Pendleton up in the hills in my Jeep with top off and shorts on. Oh, look at you. Look at that, you guys. Yeah, but we actually have, we have like. There's an AC in here that's out of control. It is not. We have cured meat hanging from the ceiling. Yeah. No, you guys are great. Long time listener. Used to listen to you guys at the old station. Love the show. Love the new crew. Thank you, bro. Thanks. You guys are great. Thank you. Kent, don't believe a word from Woodsy and Lauren. It's not that cold in here. My hands are blue. Yeah, well, I was going to say, why is my skin purple? Why am I blue? I'll tell you what I don't. Why are you guys wearing t-shirts every day? I got a sweatshirt on. Hey, let me tell you what I don't. What I don't understand is, Woodsy is able to get into that ocean right now with no wetsuit. No wetsuit. Yeah. No wetsuit. No problem. He does that, no problem. But he comes in here with a sweatshirt and he's shivering in the morning. Oh, it's colder in here than it is in the ocean. Is that right? Yeah. Absolutely. For sure. He manstraits in the morning, apparently. That's the truth. Yeah. 570-1949. You can call us and talk to us about anything.
that's going on in the news or whatever you've got going on. You want advice. You can call about anything. It's an open forum. So Apple's worst security breach in years is the big thing. And then also, what about this story with Delta Airlines, who I really like Delta. I do too. I flew them for the first time recently and thought they were really good. Not bad. They're headrests. Yeah, they're really comfortable. The headrests are comfortable. It's not bad. Well, they just sent a... You know how when you're young, were you ever a young flyer and you had to have a flight attendant help you? Never. I wanted to be. I didn't. I always felt bad and scared. Sienna, my parents used to put me on a bus by myself. A Greyhound bus. A Greyhound. Yeah, send me on a Greyhound. I know it. I'd get off, go to the rest stop, go to the restroom by myself. Really? Like 11, 12. Where would you be going? To Tucson to visit with my brother. Wow. From Yuma. Genius. That's like two hours, three hours. Different time. Different time. Yeah, back then we could drink scotch on the Greyhound at 12. When I think about, like, because what I'm about to tell you happened to a nine-year-old, and Jenna's nine, and I would kill them if they ever did this to her. Delta sent a Cleveland kid to Boston and a Boston kid to Cleveland. Oh, no. So they switched up these little kids. One of them was nine, and they're not releasing information about the other kid, but they had to switch planes.
They had connecting flights and had to switch planes. And, you know, you're led by, you know, someone who works for Delta, comes and gets you and takes you to your next flight because you're little. You don't know where you're going. Took them to the wrong gates and switched up the paperwork. It's a good move. Wow. Could you imagine? I mean, being nine years old and you're like, I don't think my grandma lives here. I think I was supposed to go somewhere else. It's like Home Alone 2. Yeah, it is. Terrifying. So Delta says, we have apologized to the families. We have reaccommodated the children for their final destination cities at no cost, arranged full refunds for the children's tickets, provided credits to the families for future travel, and refunded their unaccompanied minor fees. That's wonderful. They made it right. They should, but I kind of think the families should get to fly for free for the rest of their life. Oh, wow. That's a lot. That's a huge. The tears in their eyes. They would be terrified. They've got to reinstate their trust. They got a freaking drink coupon from an airline these days. Seriously. I've made complaints and complaints and complaints. Nothing.
I think it's nice what Delta did. Yeah, no, they did do good. The nine-year-old, that was one of the kids in the mix-up. He was interviewed on TV, and he was like, it was just weird. I was like, am I supposed to be at Boston, not Cleveland? At Boston? Yeah, those are his words. M1, Papa Briz from Oceanside. Hey. What's up? On that iPad security leak thing, that only affects the iPad 3G owners, because they're the ones that are... Connect to the cellular network. Oh, really? Is that you, Mike? That's right. No, it isn't. Oh, my key. I wanted it to be me because the 3G means that you can take that thing anywhere. You can be camping, and as long as there's a signal, you can use your iPad. But you couldn't wait, could you? Couldn't wait. Couldn't wait, could you? Couldn't wait. Yeah, you camping. Yeah, I'd like to see that. Yeah. What do you need something to take camping for? Just eating that amame with Jay out on the camping field. Looking at the stars. That's right. Hey, thank you, bro. I appreciate it. All right. Have a good one, guys. There's two versions of the iPad. There's the one that connects to wireless, which was the one I have. And then the new one connects to wireless, and it also works out just like a cell phone. So you can be anywhere. You don't have to be connected to wireless. Are they both new? They're both new. Did they come out at the same time? No. I thought it was only one that came out at the same time two months ago. No, the wireless one came out first.
People like me that couldn't wait, just had to have it, had to have it. I knew that. I can't sleep at night without it. They rushed out and got it. Of course you did. And then the people that had patience, they waited until the other one came out, and they can use it anywhere. They can be on the beach sending emails if they want to. So you're bitter, you want the new one? Yes. What's that? He said, so you're bitter, you want the new one? I wish, yeah. Wish. I'll take your hammy down. Yeah, I will too. I will too. My wife needs a laptop, so I'll make her have that one. I'll make her have that one. You will have this iPad. My brother Mark, in a very characteristic brother Mark move, got an iPad for his wife that he takes with him every day. Oh, gosh, really? Yeah. Why does he do that? I can't say anything to him, by the way, because that will lead to an argument. I understand this. It's my brother. I know him well. I know him. I know him so well that I know what button I can push, what button I can't. Why does he take it? Because he loves it. That's why. Because he loves to read books and he downloads a bunch of books onto her. Was he like messing around with it, trying to figure it out for her and fell in love with it? Or do you think the plan all along was like, I'm going to get this for her quotation? Now that is an interesting question. I don't know. All I know is that once he...
Got his little paws on it and realized that you could download books onto it and that the books look beautiful. Oh, yeah. And he loves to read. He decided, every time I talked to him, he's like, yeah, I just downloaded this new book on the iPad. Oh, he says, I just downloaded. Yeah, he goes, I just downloaded a new book on Joanne's iPad and I was reading it the other day. And I go, where were you reading it? He goes, in Yuma. Now, he's a railroad engineer. All he does is travel from Tucson to Yuma back and forth. He says that all the time. So he takes it with him. All the time. Now, I can't say to him, isn't that her iPad? Because if I do, he'll go, yeah, yes. She's my wife. Yes, it is. Yes. We share things with my family. It'd be very defensive. I used to do that with Jamie's iPod all the time because my computer crashed. So I'd come home and be like, hey, we got to download that new.
STP album on that today. She's like, okay, I guess this is ours. The worst is when someone buys that for you and then it comes back with like scratch marks on it and stuff like that. I'm like, oh, cool. It's a great gift. You've seen my iPod. Oh, my gosh. I said to Woodsy. Does he chew on the end of it? Seriously. I go, did you take this out of a donkey's mouth? Where did this come from? He goes, was this in a shark attack? Yeah. You know, the funny thing, we both have the same one. I have a new one, but my old one. Literally looks like it was hit with a rock and chisel or a hammer and a chisel. It's destroyed. To heat. Heat. Yeah. Here's a really awful story about Gary Coleman. Apparently pictures of Gary Coleman after he was dead. Is that the deal? Dying. As he was dying? Dying? In the hospital. Yeah. On his deathbed. Somebody released those photographs? Yeah. In the hospital. Well, the thing. You know what's interesting about it is. Aren't there only a few people who could have taken those pictures? Yeah. Well, there's like what they call like ambulance chasers. What is that? Like it's reporters, it's photographers. Attorneys. Yeah, attorneys. They'll listen to like the PA or whatever that thing is. The scanner. Scanner. Yeah, and then they'll go. They'll go to the hospital and pose this wherever they need to. Awful. And go take pictures.
Yeah, Globe, the Globe is going to be putting pictures of Gary Coleman in their magazine. That's so gross. On the cover of it and stuff. And they're saying, you know, as gross as it sounds, pictures like this sell the most magazines. It's horrible. I mean, listen, I can tell you that there's a morbid part of my nature that's like, oh, well, I want to see it. I want to see him. Here's the thing. I analyze myself and ask myself, why do I want to? If I'm really honest, I think that part of it comes down to, well, I don't want you to see what I don't see. Absolutely. I don't want to be not in the know. But if that was, you know, if you're in his family, I would just be like, oh, yeah, absolutely not. How about you remember him the way he looked when he was healthy? By the way, in saying what I said, I want to make sure that I say I'm not going to look at him. I'm not because I think that. I wouldn't want anybody looking at my family member like that. Pretty soon they'll be all over the place. I'm going to look at them. So you'll see them. Yeah, I want to see them. There was pictures released of left eye from TLC. TLC? After she was already deceased. It's terrible. There were? Yeah. I mean, that list goes on forever and ever. It's horrible. I mean, almost anybody that's deceased, there are those photographs. It's just terrible. That's awful. It's terrible. I still want to see. Yeah, the person that takes those pictures, that's bad.
Yep. That's bad. But anyway, that's big news today because the Globe is scummy and they're going to buy them. Last night was the CMT Music Awards. Yes, it was. Hosted by Kid Rock. It's weird that I miss those. Yeah, me too. Couldn't pay me enough to watch it. What? Well, first of all, I don't like award shows. I'm not an award show guy. Yeah, but this is cool. This is in Nashville right after the flood, and everyone's coming back together, and they're talking about the flood, and everyone, and it's a big deal. That is nice. That is nice. But I just, I don't want to see it. But who was the big winner? The big winners of the night, Carrie Underwood for Video of the Year. Weird. Which video? Cowboy Casanova. It was a good video. Is that a good song? Sing a second of it. How's it go? Give me the melody. Give me the hook. No, I just almost said Champagne Supernova. It came to my head. He's a cowboy Casanova. How's that? Does that work? I can't think of it on the spot like that. It's too much pressure. I thought it was going to be the Before He Cheats one, and I like that video. It's holding. I don't know. It's like three years old. It makes sense. Cowboy Casanova. She has a new song that I'm really into.
I can't find it on iTunes. Yes, you can. Oh, I can too, Mike. Here you go. It's a big one. Is that a foreigner? Is this the instrumental? Oh, here we go. That's the instrumental. The karaoke version? Yes. Karaoke. I can't find it. Karaoke. That's what I thought you would say. I've played it before on my days to pick music. You have? Weird, yeah. Can't find it. Oh, here we go. I was pretty close. She's so good. She's a good singer. She's amazing. What? She's so pretty. How come it's so repulsive to you? I hate new country. Hate new country. Hate new country. Hate new country. What does it make you feel like? Needles. My arm. Really? What about the Crazy Heart CD? That's old country. Well, they just did it. Yeah.
New is like more poppy. It's a newer movie, but Bad Blake is an old country dude. But some of the tracks on there, I'm like, ah, yeah, you shrill. So you don't like, for instance, Colin Farrell's character in the movie Crazy Heart as a contemporary country singer? He's a contemporary country singer, but he has the right idea because Bad Blake's his guy and it kind of stays in the old, you know? See, what's happened is... Keeps it real. Keeps it real. Even with the ponytail. The thing is, is... Country music is now top 40 music. You can't really distinguish between the two. Hard to discern. They sound the same. The girls are. And the guys. Nashville is hot. Also, another big winner was Keith Urban for Male Video of the Year, Till Summer Comes Around, and Miranda Lambert for Female Video of the Year, White Liar. Miranda Lambert's very cute. Keith Urban is from Down Under. So what? Good for him. Shania Dwayne's from Canada. I know, but isn't it really strange to you that a guy that talks like this, he's able to, you know, once he starts singing, he's like, I feel this or something. It's just not genuine, you know? Doesn't that trip you up? Have you listened to him? He has a great voice. His songs are really nice. Son of Julio Iglesias. He thanked his wife, Nicole Kidman, and he always says the same thing. Baby girl, I love you so much.
He's very barfy. He's a real... Is he talking to her or they really have a baby girl? They do have a baby girl, but he's talking to Nicole Kidman. He calls her baby girl. Gross. Skivy. Why is that skivy? Baby girl. His little highlighted hair and his little highlighted soul patch. Gosh, thank you to CMT. I love you too. I don't even know you. I don't even know you. I don't even know you. You can talk to me all day. But I'd like to sing you a song. Hey, I love you, I love you so much. Keep going. You are the greatest, I love you so much. You are the best, you're the best record company. Keith, cut, cut, Keith. Yes. I'm not really feeling that. What's the problem? I don't know, there's something about you, it just doesn't really... Jive. It doesn't set up. I mean, you tell me what to do, and I'll do it. Try singing about, like, boomerangs and maybe the Outback. My boomerang in the Outback is here. Love some Aborigines. Kangaroos. Kangaroos. Oh, you've got to make up your mind, mate. You want me to sing about... Am I singing about the country? Why does country have to be only in a few states? Like, why can't you be from somewhere else? Why can't I sing country? Yeah, you could. Is it the style, but...
Wait a minute. Are you saying to me that people from Perth don't ride bulls? What about your favorite movie, Crazy Heart? Colin Farrell is not from the U.S. and he's playing a guy who does country from the U.S. That doesn't bother you? No, he's from Ireland, but he's an actor. He's not a recording artist. He's a singer. He's an actor. He does a great job. How do you get that twang in your voice? Well, you just try to imagine. What it would be like if you were in the outback. Let's say you were lost. You found yourself an aborigine to help you out of the outback. He has a guitar. He's got a guitar. And you say to yourself, what would you be like, aborigine, if you were wearing Wranglers? And that's how you do it. Wow. Gosh. So insightful. It's so country. How important do you think that protecting Phillip Rivers' blindside is to the future of the San Diego Chargers? Pretty important. Is that a big deal, you think? I think so. Because there's, I don't know, some cause to be worried. And the San Diego Chargers took some steps yesterday that were pretty telling in regard to that. And Woodsy will tell us all about it in Woods on Sports. He's picking the music today, Otis Redding.

This is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Did you hear that? Nope.
Shocking. What? Her singing. What were you singing? This. This part right here? Were you? Uh-huh. I'm going to get her in an Alice in Chains tribute band. I'm all the way in. Not bad. Wouldn't it be funny? I bet it's been done where a chick fronts. Oh, yeah. Guarantee it has. A tribute band that's the dude. Oh, yeah. Or vice versa. Like Justin Timberlake tribute band. Yeah. No, there was a girl down the Jersey Shore who used to do like cheap trick and... I see that. Yeah. That's rad. Was she any good? Yeah. She really sounded like the dude? She had a really raspy voice. Yeah. Did she dress like a guy and everything? No, but she was hot. Yeah? Mm-hmm. She had a set of cams on her. Really? Somebody write that down. I'd be out because...
It'd be a chick, you know, singing guy stuff. Yeah, who would like a chick singing with huge cans? Probably a guy that wants to get into a cheap trick vibe. But besides that, you know. Maybe he just goes to the beach. What a weirdo. That dude. Come on. That was a rainy night in New York City last night, man. And that forced the Padres into the nightmare for a baseball player. The doubleheader. Today. 18 innings of baseball today. Your bullpen gets spent. You're tired. You're running around like a lunatic all day. Woodsy, so they play a full, complete game. And then how long do they wait before they're like, let's do it again? A couple hours. And what do the guys do? Do you know? Yeah, you probably go in. You probably, if it was me, I'll tell you what I would do. I'd go in. I'd re-shower so I could re-freshen up.
get my gear back on, probably have something to eat, watch a little TV, stretch, go throw, you know, just try to get my head back into, okay, I got to go do this all. It'd be like us doing a show, taking an hour break, coming back, doing another four-hour show. It just seems so draining. Oh, my gosh. It's rough, and it's rough on your bullpen. And, you know, to make matters worse, they got to face Johan Santana in game one and Jonathan Neese in game two. They're actually a game out of first behind the Dodgers. The Dodgers have won four in a row. Are fans allowed to go and watch both? Yeah. So you buy... I'm guessing, though, the game ends. Most normal people probably leave and go home, don't they? Yeah. So isn't that second game being played to basically no one in the stadium? Not necessarily. I mean, it's New York, so there's going to be people getting off work and people coming out to the stadium. You know, really quickly, a funny story. My dad, a big Yankee fan, grew up in Detroit. Detroit! And... There was a doubleheader. The Yankees were in town, and his mom was like, I'm not going to a doubleheader, you guys. It's 18 innings. So my dad's dad said, okay, we'll go to this first game. Game lasted 27 innings. What? Oh, my gosh. So had she gone to the doubleheader, it would have been less baseball. Wow. Oh, wow. It was like eight hours or something. Oh, yuck. My dad always tells that story, cracks me up. Well, Miguel, it looks like things are going to get ugly in Charger World.
Vincent Jackson, Marcus McNeil, fully prepared to just hold out. Really? Yep, they're just prepared to hold out. It's not good, dude. McNeil protects Phillip Rivers' blindside, right-handed quarterback, left tackle is very, very important. So they went out yesterday and they signed Trey Thomas. Now, you may remember Trey Thomas was a really good player with the Eagles. He's an old dude, though. Yeah, he's a pro bowler, right? Pro bowler, really good player, but old. That's the deal. Old dude. I mean, old dude. But here's the good thing about Trey. He started 165 games in 11 years. I mean, the guy's a warrior. But he had just bought a boat. He was thinking about just sailing up the East Coast. He was about to retire. Yeah. And they called him and signed him. Wow. I'll tell you what. If it were me and I were a football player and I was looking at re-signing with the Chargers, I would tell my agent. Listen, I know how AJ operates. Just sign the deal. Just let's get it done. Because AJ is so cutthroat, dude. He's going to wait these guys out. And I mean, this is going to make some people mad. But really, without McNeil and without Vincent Jackson, it's not going to be what you want it to be this year. It's just not. Those guys are too important to that team. So they are willing to hold out. Like I said, AJ's like, hey, I got no new information for you. Wish they were here. They're not. So that's the bit with them.
The Chicago Blackhawks are Stanley Cup champions. They're bringing it back to Chicago after 49 years. They won in Philly. Philly! Last night, 4-3 in overtime. Here's the presentation of Lord Stanley's Cup. Cut one. The toughest trophy in all of sports to win. Two great teams competed for it. Congratulations to the Blackhawks and their fans. Rocky Wertz, John McDonough, Stan Bowman, and Joel Quinville, and the rest of the coaches. These players brought the roar back to Chicago, and now they're bringing back the Stanley Cup after 49 years. Congratulations. Jonathan Caves, come hoist the Stanley Cup. That's in Philly, so you can hear kind of the dull booing, and they weren't very excited about it. I got to tell you, too, my favorite thing is audio from a player.
that wins something big. And like the guy said, in my opinion, the Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win. Why do you say that? Play 82 football games a year and then go and try to do and play the hockey playoffs where they're like, okay, go. There's no officiating. They're like, just beat the crap out of each other. It's crazy. So this guy, last night, Patrick Kane, he scored the game winner in overtime to win the Stanley Cup for the Blackhawks, which is insane. Here he is talking about it. Cut two. What a feeling. I can't believe it. It's unbelievable. We just won the Stanley Cup. The rebirth of the Chicago Blackhawks started with you and Jonathan Tays. Did you think you'd get to the top of the mountain this quickly? I can't believe this just happened. Holy crap. I mean, it's something you dream of as a kid to score the winning goal in the Stanley Cup finals. And it was just, it was, I mean, it was unbelievable. Be on your best behavior at the parade, Patrick. Not a chance. Not a chance. Isn't that great? That's what Woods would say. 100%. 100%. And finally, Mike, the USC Trojans, according to the Los Angeles Times, will be banned from the postseason for two years. They'll also be stripped of more than 20 scholarships and will also forfeit wins from the 2004 season. All this is from the allegations that Reggie Bush took improper benefits while at USC. Why do I get the feeling? Look at the little smirk on Woods' face. You know, it's weird timing that Pete Carroll left for the Seahawks to go coach the NFL.
Weird. I don't get it. You're such a Notre Dame fan. Oh, he revels in the USC. Isn't it naive to think that they're not accepting things? That's what's on sports, pal. I gotcha. 570-1949. 949mikey at gmail.com. You want to text us? I know that a lot of people are probably clamoring to hear it, so fine, I'll do it. I will give you Terrell Owens. singing mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys. Well, what are you doing with yourself then? Just working out and hanging out in karaoke bars. Yeah, karaoke bars? You like to sing? What's your song? Hit it. By the way, you ever heard Sienna sings? Many times. The idea is that we put the words up for a song. And we find out whether or not Sienna knows it based on the lyrics and the music. She's got the lyrics in front of her. She's got the music. She sings straight from the lyrics. See, a lot of times, though, if she doesn't know the song, it just sounds like she's trying to guess what the melody would be. Most of the time. Oh, God. Oh, God. Oh, please. No. Oh, no. No. Oh, wow. Wow.
Got an idea. Yeah. So they call you and they ask you, Mike, to sing a song at the CMTs. Think you may give the cover song a listen to? Yeah, maybe you listen to it a couple times. A few hundred times? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Just a couple times before you get there. See, I'm sure he didn't know or something. I mean, there's no way he would just botch it that bad. You think he'd rehearse, maybe? I think he probably did. No, not if you're T.O. Here's my guess. I think he probably did listen to it a few times and then got out there and forgot everything that he'd listened to. Or maybe he's T.O. and he didn't give it a listen at all. That is an even better guess. Gosh, just go away. Would you take him here? Yes. Yes, you would. I know. Especially with you saying that Vincent Jackson's holding out. In a heartbeat, everyone would be like, oh, okay, okay, we'll take it. I don't know, man. Even if Vincent Jackson isn't holding out, I'm like, yeah, he's a... He's an idiot. I wouldn't watch the Chargers games if T.O. came. Really? Really. See, he's an idiot, but the guy catches a hell of a lot of some footballs, doesn't he? He can. He drops some, too, but he can catch. Yeah, he does. He catches a lot of them. Scores a lot of touchdowns. That whole little parody was a little bit against the Cowboys, by the way, if you heard the lyrics. Yeah, it was. I feel so numb to the Chargers right now. I don't even care anymore. Come on. What's that all about, Sienna? I don't know. Is it an LT thing? It's just everything. Because they got rid of LT? Yeah.
There's so much drama with the stadium. Guys, just win some games. I'm ready for Charger football, man. I'm too. I want to see what this new kid, this Ryan Matthews that replaced LT. I'll tell you what. I bet you that kid is going to be rookie of the year. Bold statement. I know it. I'll bet you he'll be rookie of the year. That kid looks good. Good, man. I'll tell you what he looks like. He looks like LT did coming out of college. Don't want to mean to offend anybody. Faster. A little quicker. Really? A little stronger. Sorry. A little bigger. No way. He doesn't have a Jets tattoo on him. You don't have a Jets tattoo. Where's the hype? I haven't heard the hype that I heard with LT. It's quiet hype. It's quiet hype. It's more of like, it's weird because with him, it's kind of like, yeah, this is our guy. I mean, it's not like. We're expecting such big things. They kind of know what they're going to get, and it's going to be good. That's the feel that I get, because I'm so in deep with the Chargers organization, as you guys well know. That's right. That's what I hear from my people. While attending the Del Mar Fair yesterday, it hasn't even opened yet. But while there, I was trying to survive. There are very few things that one can rum a drown for, but I was able to somehow survive.
Eating only beef kebab, chicken kebab, Australian potato wedges, fresh cut potato chips with cheese and jalapenos, fried Oreos, fried Klondike bars, fried butter, and chocolate-covered bacon. Is that all we ate, really? That's a true story. I feel like there was so much more. That's a true story. Did I miss anything, by the way? We ate so much. We all, as a show, went out. Oh, corn. Yeah, I feasted on two ears of corn. Oh, my gosh. That first go at it when Woods was timing himself. Mm-hmm. Wood's timed himself to see how quickly he could eat a ear of corn. I was wrong. Corn juice all over his chin. Oh. Corn was everywhere. Corn in my beard. It was obscene. Yeah, I've never seen anyone eat corn like that. You put the whole thing, like, in your mouth. Like a toothbrush. Yeah. Well, we went yesterday to the Del Mar Fair to sample all the different foods.
Best job in the world we have, dude. It was amazing. It was amazing. And it was delicious. It was delicious. Fried Oreos were my fave. Those were not my favorite. My favorite, and I'm going to make a prediction to all you folks that are going to go to the Del Mar Fair this year. Yeah. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I just remembered. Are we saying it wrong? Because we've known it as the Del Mar Fair forever. Oh, it's the San Diego County Fair. Okay. People get mad. Yeah. It's the San Diego County Fair? Yeah. Okay. I stand corrected. Me too. Dude, I did it first. I think I was the first to do it. Wait in line for an hour, hour and a half to get the fried butter. It's ungodly good. It's the best thing I've ever had at a fair. I know. It sounds awful. I know. It sounds awful. Because I told my wife that and she goes, what? Yeah, mine too. Because what you imagine is you imagine a stick of butter being rolled around in batter and then fried, which grosses you out. That's not what it is. Imagine a... Cigar-sized cannoli. That's what it's like, a cigar-sized cannoli. And it's got powdered sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top of it. Injected. And it's like it's got the center with melted butter. Yeah, they inject it. They deep-fry the batter, inject it with butter, freeze it, and then deep-fry it again. It's ridiculous. And then cover it with whipped cream. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's amazing. It was dripping. I had butter on my chin. It was incredible.
I know it sounds strange. My favorite thing was that chocolate-covered bacon. Oh, wow. They take bacon and they fry it until it's so crisp. And then they freeze it. And then they dip it in melted chocolate and then freeze that. It was cold. It was salt on it. Both of those things, by the way, served at the Heart Attack Cafe. That's right. That's what it's called, the Heart Attack Cafe. It'll get you. I'm still a fan of the Australian potatoes. Oh, me too. Those were good. Those were my faves. That lady was so nice. I loved her. I bet she's a Keith Urban fan. 100%. No way. Keith Urban's Australian. She's Australian. Why not? Or men at work. Yeah, I bet she likes Cal and Hay. I like Cal. We're at the Australian. beer-battered potato stand and Lauren goes up to her and says, are you from Ireland? That was great. Are you from Ireland? And you guys all took me seriously. It was a joke. I got it. It was deadpan, but I looked at her and I was like, no. She was mad. I was like, oh. She's like, silly, look at my kangaroo pouch. Yeah. She's like, I'm the Australian potatoes.
Hey, look at my Australian pie. That was it. All I know is they don't say no. They say no. No. No. No. Let's see. I got some stuff to tell you about. And you can call 570-1949. You want to text 949mikey at gmail.com. Here are some things you think you know about something you eat that you don't. There's a few myths out there about veggies. All right. And first of all, I don't like them. Weird. Oh, okay. Hang on. There's a couple I like. Okay. There's a couple I like. I like corn. But my taste buds have really changed. There were a bunch of veggies that I used to like. I don't like anymore. Such as? Asparagus. Used to love it. Now it kind of grosses me out now. I love it. Feast. With some garlic and lemon. What are some myths? Give me some myths here, Sienna. Fresh vegetables are more nutritious than frozen vegetables. That's got to be true. Nope. These are all myths. That's a myth? Studies show that sometimes you can get more nutrients from frozen. I can't say frozen today. Frozen. Frozen vegetables. There you go. Some of them, yeah. It's because they're flash frozen. They take them fresh, cut them off, freeze them right away, and then they sell them to you. Cooked veggies are less nutritious than raw.
I've always heard that. That's a myth. That's a myth. Yeah, I heard that because I heard that what happens is, in fact, I heard that like a week ago, that you take veggies and when you cook them, all the good stuff comes pouring out of them. Yeah, it says cooking destroys some nutrients, but it releases others. That's right. Really? Yeah. What else? Iceberg lettuce doesn't have nutrients. You know how they say, like, oh, low-maid and iceberg. Yeah, it's like nothing good about those lettuces. But it's like water. Uh-huh. But iceberg is, it is like mostly water, but it's loaded with vitamins. Delicious, too. I heard, because celery is mostly water, I heard you burn more calories chewing it than you do consuming it. Really? Yeah. That's funny. I don't know if it's true. What else? Local vegetables are always cheaper. It's true with a lot of the cases, but I guess local food is not always subsidized, so you are paying the real cost of producing the food, and the economies of scale are not there. Potatoes make you fat. Of course they do. That's not a lie.
It says potatoes are virtually fat-free and low in calories. It's the carbs, if you overload on carbs, that get converted. And it's a stick of butter in the mashed potatoes. Why does that taste so good? It tastes so good. Honey, I'm going to make that right tonight. I mean, listen, you know how I've said before, who was the first guy to try this? Who was the first guy to try this? For instance, who was the first guy? Easy, easy. Oh, man, this works me up. Who was the first guy that took spoiled milk, curdled, which is cheese. Yeah. Popped it in the mouth. You did it. And ate it down. And said, delicious. And said, that's delicious. Was it you, Mike? No, it wasn't. But potatoes? Hey, first dude that plopped one of those out of the ground, stuck it in boiling water and stuck a bunch of butter in it. Amen to you, sister. You're the first guy who looked at a cow's teat and said, hmm, I'm going to get some stuff out of that and drink it. Think about that. Who did that? Because they probably saw the calf doing it and thought, hey, I'm going to get me some of that. It's gross. Yeah. I see dogs doing it too, but you don't see me milking a dog. What made somebody think that drinking that from a cow would be a good idea? But they did. Yeah. You know what I mean? Cats have nipples.
Can you milk them? I don't know. 570-1949? I can milk anything with nipples. You can, Greg? 570. I have nipples. Can you milk me? You will be able to. Yeah, you'll be able to. You'll be able to feed an army. Don't worry about it. Gross, gross. They don't just run in the family with Sienna. They gallop. Giddy up. And another one of the myths is, I'm sure we all know it by now, bagged salads are squeaky clean. I'm having a rough day today. Well, we know that, man. We know they're not. Yeah, you know why? Because you're getting salmonella from some of them. Whenever there's been the salmonella outbreaks, it's always come from that bagged stuff. I love bagged salad. Great. It's good now. In fact, I think it's the safest time to eat it is now because they got popped. You just wash it. Take the extra step and just wash it. Nah. I thought it would go from the bag to the bowl. Eva, what about like the ready-made ones that come in the bowls? You know, and you can take them to lunch to work with you and stuff. And you just like pour the dressing in it comes with. I eat those. Yeah, I guess so. Hey, Taco Bell's trying to bring back the $2 bill. My dad started this little tradition with my niece who's now an adult. She's 25 now.
When she was a kid, he used to give her $2 bills every birthday. My grandfather used to do that. Yeah, so now she's got this $2 bill. Great. $60. $40, Dad. Thanks. Thanks, Granddad. Well, Taco Bell wants to go public with a campaign that will pay for a full page in the USA Today urging government to print and circulate the little-used $2 bills. What? Taco Bell. Because they have their new $2 meals and they want to do it, you know, to go with it. Promotional thing. Uh-huh. I think it's a cool idea. They haven't printed the $2 bill since 2006. I'm in on them. It's funny you can get them at the bank, though, because you get them all the time. Really? Yeah, yeah. What do you do? Why do you get them all the time? They feel a lot more rare than they are. I can't say. Oh, it's a big deal. He buys his cocaine with him, so I think that's part of it. A very small amount. You know what I mean? Yeah. Can I get a bump here? It's $2 bill. It's $2. They don't even have, like in some other countries, they don't even have a dollar bill anymore. I thought they were trying to do away with the penny, too. Oh, please. I'm on board with that. Me, too. 570-1949. And 949mikey at gmail.com. You heard last week that Al and Tipper Gore are getting a divorce. And now it looks like their kid is, too. Their daughter. What's up with that? Yep. She has just announced that she's going to be getting a divorce, too. Karenna. That's her name? Karenna? Karenna. Karenna. Yeah. She's 36 years old. They have two.
Three kids together. She's been married since 1997. Her husband is Andrew Schiff. Yeah. That's pretty sad, right? I know, so it's sad. I mean, it's like double divorce in the family. That's rough. Kevin Costner. Tin Cup, The Mailman. These are just some of his better movies. Waterworld. I liked Waterworld. Full Durham, dude. You liked Waterworld? Yeah, I was like nine when it came out and I watched it then. Santa's the one. I still like Waterworld. What? It was cool. It was cool. I've never even seen it. Well, Kevin Costner told Congress that he has an invention. What I'm about to tell you is not a made-up story. This is true. Kevin Costner told Congress he has an invention to save us from the BP oil spill. He's figured it out. I'm going to tell you what it is. When we come back, I'll play it for you. Play you the audio of him talking to Congress. And first of all, I wonder to myself, how does he get that? Yeah. Right. Him and James Cameron. Yeah, are we allowed to? Can we just go, hey, Congress, can I make an appointment with you later today? I got an idea I want to throw past you. Yeah, sure, Mike, no problem. You don't have a meeting later? I do. You do? You got one? So we'll play you the audio of what he said next. People are going to like this. The Mikey Show. It's a good time, you know what I mean? Call 570-1949 or text 949mikey at gmail.com. Cohen, FM 94.9. KBZT San Diego. The Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of the Mikey Show. FM 94.9. She's got a way about her. I don't know what it is. And it's live. I like it. Live, right? Yeah, it's from my wife. It's sweet. This is my junior prom song. Is it really? This is from Mrs. Woods. Makes me feel a little bit old. It's from my retirement party. Billy Joel. She's got a way about her. I love that tune. It's a good one, dude. Welcome back to Mikey's show. You can call us if you want, 570-1949. And by the way, I just had a brain. Can we talk about that thing you were just talking about? Yeah, of course. Again? Yeah, kids and open book. I'm going to tell you the story that Woods was just telling off the air. First, I want to play you Kevin Costner. Kevin Costner. Well, first.
The director of the Titanic said that he could solve the BP oil problem. Yeah. He's been in a submarine. And now a guy that had gills in Waterworld, he's telling Congress that he can fix the BP problem. I believe this machine made over 12 years ago with all the care and science and money that I could throw at it. He made a machine, Kevin Costner. That's insane. He says that Kevin Costner says, I have a machine that will help the BP oil drill. problem with the spewing oil one major solve in this giant puzzle that will get people back to work the american people deserve the comfort of knowing that there is a proactive solution to this everyday occurrence on our oceans rivers and lakes it may seem an unlikely scenario that i am the one delivering this technology at this moment in time but where from yeah i think it's a little unlike really slightly well put yeah i think yeah
I think it is a little unlikely that the postman is delivering the answer. Dances with wolves. Yeah, dances with plugs. He's the swing vote, though. He's the swing vote. It's Crash Davis. Guy knows all. But from where I am sitting, it is equally inconceivable that these machines are not already in place. Really? And you invented the machine? Yep. But you're Kevin Costner. Didn't anybody think to go, but you're Kevin Costner? You're in Tin Cup. Yeah, you're Tin Cup. You're Roy McAvoy. Yeah, but a lot of those actors are like Ivy Leaguers, really intelligent people. Who is an Ivy Leaguers? What actor? Tommy Lee Jones. Natalie Portman. Oh, yeah. You got me with it. Oh, and you know who else is? You know who else is super smart? Ashley Judd. Yeah. She's a member of Mensa. Yeah, she's a Mensa member. You have to have an IQ of 200 plus. Yeah, you do too. To be in Mensa?
I need to apply. Is your IQ higher than 200? Look at him. Give me that. You never know. During this talk, that pipe is still leaking. And I think we have a unique moment. Am I up here hawking my product? I guess. I don't know. Don't take mine. Take somebody. Your product. Yeah, it's his. I know, but does he like, he's got this thing that he's, yeah, it's available at Walmart. It's the Costnerizer. The Costnerizer. Don't you think, though, if you had an idea and you were able to put it out there, you would try? Yeah. He spent like $25 million of his own dollars. Good for him, I think. He thinks that maybe he has something and he wants to try and help, so he should. He's being more responsible than BP at this point. Did he spend $25 million creating a machine that stops oil leaks? Is that what he did? No, apparently it separates the oil. Oil from the water. Okay, what if... That's amazing. What if Kevin Costner solves the BP oil drill? He could run for president. He could. Arnold Schwarzenegger is our governor. Stranger things have happened. I like Kevin Costner. I'm on board. He seems intelligent when he speaks. You know what, though, man?
Arnold Schwarzenegger stopped the war between the machines and the humans. That's true. That's so true. That is true. He's probably more qualified. Can't take it away from him. He's also a kindergarten cop. Yeah. See? How many times do I have to tell you it's not a tumor? Not a tumor. It's not a tumor. Not a tumor. I want to tell a story that you were telling. Woodsy was telling off the air about his buddy. Was this when you guys were embracing each other? Really? Yeah, we were embracing each other. Yes, we were. We were hugging him. I was burping him. And my baby Bjorn, my Mikey Bjorn. Mm-hmm. Tell everybody. Well, my buddy has a girl, his girlfriend, and they've been together a couple years, but he wants to buy her some boobs. Oh, boy. Has he told her that? Yep. He did? Yep. What'd she say? She's not a super fan of the whole thing, but is, you know, willing, I guess willing to listen, and he's like, hey, they're on me. I got him. He told me the story. He told me the story and I rolled my eyes. Well, now she feels like she has to get them. Yeah, kind of. Well, of course she does. If she doesn't, she knows that she's got what he doesn't want. Right. You know, and his bit is like, his thing is, listen, I'm a fan and I'm a fan of you. So let's put them both together. It's not a big deal. It's safe. A lot of people do it. Is it safe? It's like getting your teeth whitened these days.
You know what I mean? That's what he said. His words or your words? I'm sure he wouldn't just say it unless maybe she's mentioned, maybe I'll do it sometime before. You can't just say something like that. I don't know. I didn't ask him, but he's dead set. He has money put aside and is ready to cut a check immediately. Don't do it. What size is she now, would you say? Probably a low B. A little handful there. Shallow. Shallow hell. Shallow hell. Not necessarily. Well, if he thinks that she would be cool with it, why not give it a shot? Maybe let her suggest it. Do women ever try to change a man's appearance? No. They don't. If they can surgically do it, I'm sure there's some things that some girls would want done. How many girls are like, hey, Pinocchio, get a nose job. Maybe. Oh, please. Hey, they started dating Pinocchio, bro. Yeah. Sorry. That's true. Rhinoplasty. They dated the guy that way. They don't tell him to go get rhinoplasty. Jamie wants me to get calf implants. Oh, God. Did she say that? I need him. Yeah, you're really great except for this one thing. And this one thing you can't change about yourself unless you get surgically enhanced. On him. So what? I mean, she's fine with herself.
I don't care if you're a woman or you're a man. I think that's a creep move, man. It's pretty creepy. I don't think they look when they're snap-ons like that. I don't think they look as good as regular boobs. Even now, though? I mean, it's been done for a while. They have some new improvements. I haven't seen new and improved ones. Look, you've been married a while. I've thought about, like, I've tossed around the idea, but always kind of jokingly. Don't do it, Lauren. But, you know, I've always kind of thrown that out to, like... Whoever I may have been dating, like, yeah. And mostly just to get the feedback, you know. How about ask them? What's that? I have. Oh, yeah. Have any of them said no? Yeah, all of them. That's a bit, by the way. No, because I date people that are more... They like other parts. Woods just looked at Lauren dead in the eyes and went, that's a bit. You're a boob guy. Not every guy's a boob guy. I love boobs, too. I love boobs of all sizes. I just don't think they have to be giant or rubbery.
A friend of mine's been dating her boyfriend for years and she was out of town, came home and saw he was looking at some stuff on the computer. And this friend of mine is like, like not even an A. Like you have bigger boobs than she does. Not even an A? Yeah. And on the computer. She's a lowercase. She's an ah. She's like, you know, those little nips. She's smuggling raisin eggs. And she came home and saw that he was on the computer looking at, like, BigBooms.com or something. And she's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Is this what you want? Because I don't have that, you know. And he was like, no, no, no. And I believe him, though, because he loves her for who she is. Wait a second. Wait, wait, wait. Stop. Pause. How do you believe him when that's what he's looking at? It doesn't matter. Because he doesn't want to change her. I mean, guys like him. Yeah. He wants to look at him, but he doesn't think that she needs him. I mean, I don't know. Why don't you give her some of yours? I would if I could. Yeah, Sienna sends them this way. It's like, why does a man watch maybe an Asian persuasion adult film sometimes? You're going to mix it up sometimes, Val. For example, what?
Bauman. What? Really? Loves Asian sometimes. Sometimes. Yeah, I'm sure Bauman just went, really? Yeah. You say that on the radio? Thanks, pal. Thanks, buddy. But everyone has like little things. Doesn't mean that that's like what you want in your significant other. Maybe you just like to look at it every once in a while. It's fantasy. It's like Lord of the Rings. Yeah. Okay? I thought the kid didn't like fantasy. It's like Avatar. I think that that is a perfect example of a runny nose. What do you mean? It's a symptom. It's a symptom of a problem. Of what problem? The problem is I'm not satisfied. Yeah. That's the problem. I think you're right. Well, you're married to a blonde. You would never look at a brunette? No. Listen, here's the thing. As men, we are wired to be looking around. Yeah. My issue is and my thing that I heard one time and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Guy said, you know how I stopped looking at chicks? Stop looking at chicks. And I was like. What? Then I thought about it. So now, when I'm driving down the street, there's a girl running towards me. I can see her from a mile away. That's how I'm wired. Yeah. So I don't look. The reason that I don't look. I know. Me either, Kim, if you're listening. Me either, Jamie. I know that most people believe that I'm lying. I'm telling you, I'm not lying. Yeah, I mean, the mind is a powerful thing. No, it isn't because I'm checking my voicemail. And I'm telling you that I'm not lying. Text messaging. Text messaging. Okay, maybe. Text messaging me.
But the deal is, and I have found through doing it over time that I have a short memory and I don't go, oh, no, I just missed something really awesome. But what happens is that if I look at it, it causes my thought life. To go a little further and a little further and a little further. Yeah, but you maybe have some very strong willpower or something. Because you can't ask all men to do that. They'll be like, yeah, right. All of us could do it. We all have the mental capability to do it. You know, and Mikey told me that a long time ago. And my thing is I just try not to be the dirty, creepy pig in my head. And it's easy. It's really easy to do. You can appreciate somebody being beautiful. And Mikey can appreciate you guys being beautiful women. It just doesn't go any farther than that. You know what I mean? Yeah. That's kind of where it's at. Yeah. There's no there's not an issue with me. And I mean, I do. I recognize we work with two beautiful women. Absolutely. But but the deal is, is that that is not that has to be as far as it goes in terms of my thought life. Absolutely. Mine, too. Otherwise, otherwise, I'm off to the races. I don't really think there's anything wrong if you just look.
Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with you just looking. I don't think that means there's trouble in your relationship. I look at you two ladies every day. The problem would be is if I fantasize about you two ladies every day and I don't. That's a problem. See, that's something that girls don't really relate to because we see it and we forget about it. You guys see it and think about it all day. Store it, file it, bring it back up, download it. Yeah, you ladies. We can just be like, woo! Are there downloads available of you guys? I'm like, Woods tells me, he's like, you have the mind of an elephant, because I never forget, you know? But a guy, I'm like, out. Image, like, okay. Noticed, out. On to the next thing. You won't see a fireman at the cook-off this weekend, at the chili cook-off, and remember him. No, I won't store it. And see men will. Oh, men will. Yeah, I know. Describe a woman to a police sketch artist. All day. For years. Back of your mind, yeah. And I used to be that way, too. And I can't do that anymore, man. I can't. I just can't, because I know I'm a creep. Yeah. I know I'm a creep. Self-admitted. 570-194-90. Would you want your girl, and would you say to your girl,
I think you should get a boob job. Have you? Have you? I mean, you can. I mean, it's America. You got it right. But I think that if you're here's the problem, man. If your gal is not down with that, you basically just told her. like you the way you are yeah and you destroyed her for if she even if she dumps you it's like now every time she goes to date someone like oh yeah i'm a real good catch except for this flat chest of mine right right i'm sure that this girl who your friend is dating has said something like yeah you know like makes jokes about how flat she is or something it's lighthearted about it yeah but maybe he's like you know Like, I don't know if you want to or not, but, like, I'd be happy if you ever want to change it. It's up to you. You know, I'd be happy to help you out. And if you ever want to change it, I set aside $5,000 just in case for a rainy day. Don't worry. I've already consulted with several physicians. I know the best one. Yeah. Listen, it's tough for me because I think to myself, too, there's some things about me I wouldn't mind changing. Sure. You know what I mean? Me, too. And I struggle in my head. What if my kids ask me one day, hey, Dad, I saw these pictures of you.
From way back in the day. And it looks so much different from the way that you look now. Did you do something? And if I say, yeah, I have to then explain to him, oh, well, how come? And then I got to explain, well, because daddy didn't like the way he looked. Really, dad? Well, what about me? Like, am I not good enough to like I got some issues with me, too? And now we're in this whole area of what we tell our kids about how we feel about ourselves, because ultimately. We are teaching our kids how it is that they should view themselves. And I'm like, oh, my gosh. It doesn't make you less of a person, though, if there's something about yourself that you don't like and you want to change it. If it's going to really help your self-confidence and everything, I say go for it. How about this thought? It doesn't make you less of a person because you're not perfect. No, it doesn't. No, it doesn't. But, I mean, hey, man, you're the one that's got to live in your skin every day. Yeah. There was a kid I went to school with, he had big ears. And I mean big ears, like giant, giant ears. And, you know, he caught a lot of hell for that for years. And, dude, the guy went and got his ears pinned back. He was a whole new man, literally a whole new eighth grader. I think Mikey's got a great point, though, with your kids. So, okay, mom goes and gets a big boob job. So then her daughter is growing up.
She's like, well, Mom, I guess I have to get one, too, because Mommy had to. Well, you don't have to, but when you're 18 or 21 or whatever. No, the girl would be like, Mom, you got cans. I want some, too. Yeah. And now we all look like Barbie dolls. You know, it's like we all got the same build as Barbie has. Wait till you're 18. Wait till you're 18. Do whatever you want. Oh, it's crazy. People are giving them to their kids for graduation. That's nuts. Yeah. Oh, no, that happens a lot. It was funny because I used to do, I put on a lot of bikini contests, so most of the girls that participated in the contest. And there were so many times where they had to get them redone because they were leaking or they had medical problems. M1 Stevo from Camp Pendleton. Yeah, how you doing, guys? What up? Good. I was just calling to say my wife got a boob job when she was 18. And a few years ago, she wanted to get them redone because after the second kid, they got a little saggy. And she was basically like, hey, honey, I kind of want to get them redone. And I was totally for it. I said, yeah, let's go ahead and get them redone. And after we did and got them redone, her self-confidence went back up. She was totally happy. She didn't have to wear those bras to hold the girls up, you know. She was totally happy about it. So I totally supported it. Yeah, but you didn't tell her to do it, you know. You didn't suggest it. That was her suggestion. You supported her. You supported her. Yeah. Much like her bra does. Yeah. I had gastric bypass surgery to lose weight. Right.
You know, when I look back on it, I go, it was a symptom of a problem. Like, you know, what I should have done is ate more healthy and exercised. But you do now as a result of it, right? I don't think I eat healthy now as a result of that gastric bypass. Not healthier? Well, what it does is it makes it so that you can't eat as much. Oh, yeah. That's what it does. You never even get halfway through your food. It's delicious, though. It is, but you get to try a lot of different things. I still find the food. Absolutely delicious. Well, so one day, Jake, Luke, or Ryan are going to come to you and see Dad. Before and after, what happened? I have to explain to Jake, Luke, and Ryan, not just that, not just the physical part of Dad that changed as a result of his choices and decisions, but everything else, too. Like, there was a dad. before God and there was a dad after God and I got to explain it to him. I got different thoughts on stuff. That's me. That's the way I'm wired. No doubt. Everybody's different. And you're a stronger man now than when you had that surgery done. When did you have that? Was that in 2000? Right before I came to Dallas and met you because I lost 117 pounds. Wow. You know, I weighed 324 pounds. That's insane. Yeah. Then I came out to Dallas and I was about, I think, maybe a few pounds.
Less than I am now. I really don't know. And 10 years ago, too, that was like a big procedure. Oh, yeah, man. Yeah, risky. Yeah. In fact, I got some stomach issues that I have right now that need to be looked at. And I think it may be as a result of that. Could be. You know? It's like anything, man. You want to make sure if you get, like, if you get LASIK done or you get something else done, you want to make sure that it's staying and you got to get tune-ups. And you better check that out, dude. Yeah. Yeah. That's some issues. Issues. 570-1949 if you want to call us and tell us about it. Or 949mikey at gmail.com. I just think, too, this is if they're the big boob jobs. To me, isn't there something about it where you go, well, that is a fake boob job? Yeah. I don't get the Pamela Anderson obvious ones that people want. I don't either, man. Some people, but that's the risk that you take. Maybe you didn't ask for those and then they end up being like, oh, cool. You always run the risk. Even with any elective surgery or cosmetic surgery, you might have a picture in your head and it might not turn out that way. So you're saying maybe the girl didn't want them that big and...
Sometimes. I'm sure there's plenty of girls that want them to look like Heidi Montag. You know what you can do now? Is if you have a celebrity that you like, say you like the rack, bring in a picture of them, numerous pictures of them, and cosmetic surgeons can give you those exact boobs. Really? It's ridiculous. I think it's weird because basically you're like, I like this picture of phony. And so, you know, because it doesn't look real. It looks like inflate. It looks like. It looks like it hurts in my mind. It looks like a. Balloon. And you go, I want it to look like a balloon. I don't know. Yeah, Heidi. I read something about Heidi Muntag. Like, it hurts for her to hug people now. Because it's so swollen. Because she's a thin, slight girl. And her skin is all, like, stretched out. She got these two cantaloupes in her chest. Does it look like that to you, Woodsy, or no? Yeah. Oh, it does? Yeah. But you like that? Yeah, why not? Hey, I don't discriminate. You know that. But I'm just, I'm fine with. The boobs that I have at home. Yeah. Okay? Yeah. Real good. Make sure you say that a few times. How long till they just, when you're a kid and your parents, you're just like, okay, give them a DNA injection where their boobs are going to be a certain size when they grow up. Yeah, that's sad. Okay, their eyes are going to be blue. Now everybody's going to be blonde. Genetic re-engineering. Isn't that trippy? That's gross. You take a picture of Heidi Montag to the fertility doctor and you're like, this is what I want my kid to learn. I sure hope not. What about Octomom?
Angelina Jolie. Yeah, right? She tries to look like her. Exactly like her. That's a shame. She did. M1 Teresa from San Diego, you there? Yes, I'm here. Go ahead. Okay, I was just thinking, what happens to these people who don't like the way they look? And they get a nose job or lips or whatever they get done to make themselves look what they consider to be pretty or handsome. And then they get married and they have kids who look like they look. I know. I think about that, too. What do you tell your child when they say, you know, Mommy, how come I'm not pretty like you? Or, you know, you're going to say, oh, yeah, you're ugly like I used to be? Yeah. I think that is what you're telling them. Well, you could explain. I think so. I mean, some people are just more comfortable in their own skin. Talk to me, Woodsy. It's a little extreme, I think. Tell me why. Walk me through. Well, let's see. That's why I have, honestly, I'll be transparent. A nose job. That's probably what I would do. I would get a nose job. But this is what I think about myself. I go, if I do that, I'm really telling myself that my worth is in that look of my nose. It's not, dude. It's not your worth. It's not. It's not. It's not. It isn't. It's how you feel. Like, I mean, dude, I want to get my gullet sucked out. And I may. I may just do it. The gobbler. Because you know why? Because you know why? It'll make me feel better.
I know it will, but what are you basing that on? You're basing that on TV. No, I'm not. I'm not basing it on the way I look. When I look in the mirror, I'm like, I know, but you know, but you know where you learned that a sweet, nice, thin chin was the better deal. You learned it from our, from culture. Maybe. I mean, but again, it's my body and I want to, if it's like, you know, you got a bunch of tattoos, it's your body. You do what you want. Yeah. You know, you do what you want to do. How about maybe you don't eat for. Oreos that have been fried. Yeah. Maybe not. But sometimes, like, stuff like that is also a genetic thing, too. Like, I'm sure it's in your family. It is. The gobbler is in my family. Yeah. But there's so much more about you, Woods, that, like, nobody needs to look at you and see what you, like, it's so exaggerated in your mind, and there's so much more to you that, like... Well, it's like Mikey said. You know? I mean, I'm... He'd get a nose job. I'd probably get a penis reduction. I'm probably going to have to. Is that right? Is that right? My back is killing me. Is that right? Your pants wouldn't blow out then. Wow. What happens when you're running for Senate and your microphone is left open and you're talking about Barbara Boxer, your opponent? It happens. Because I'm going to play you the audio of that happening next. Your voice be heard on the Mikey Show now.

Northwest windswell has picked up a fair amount overnight, and there is a little bit of old south lingering out there as well. That's the good news because size is in there in waist, chest-high zone, shoulder-high at the top spots. Bad news is, though, we've got a bit of an eddy condition on it. If you haven't looked outside the window already, kind of overcast skies, lots of moisture, and some south winds. So condition is not necessarily the best to be had out there, but at least there's no oil in our water.

Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I think Nickelback may be cooler than Dodgley. Lauren. We all like the change. Woods. I buy sticker price. For everything. I cannot negotiate. At all. Those are nutty bars? Yeah. Those are the best. I was the guy most voted most likely to snap. On FM 94.9. Warren and Terrence Zeprin. Woodsy. Pick the music. Song gets you. That's a good one. That is. So, open microphones during public things can be very bad. You don't have to convince me of that. I work in radio.
Oh, man. I've done it. Have you? Oh, yeah. Who's it going to happen to on this show? Probably me. Can we knock on wood or something? It's a scary thought. But this is Carly Fiorina. She was running for Senate, and she was running against Barbara Boxer. And they left her microphone open and captured her saying this about Barbara Boxer. Sacramento. Yes. Lauda saw Barbara Boxer briefly on television this morning and said what everyone says. God, what is that hair? Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. So yesterday. Oh. Oh, boy. So yesterday, she says. Oh, man. Isn't the phrase so yesterday so yesterday? Yeah. I think it's so last year. Yeah. Anyway. Been there, done that. Yeah. Here she is. Now.
Then she's talking about Meg Whitman. Meg Whitman is going on the Sean Hannity show. Uh-oh. And Carly Fiorina started to talk about that. Oh, boy. I find it really surprising that on the first day of the general, Meg Whitman's going on Sean Hannity. Did you hear that? I think it's bizarre. I mean, she's never been on Sean Hannity. I think it's a very bad choice, actually. You know how he is. Oh, God. But why, after saying no to all these people, would you go on Sean Hannity? Exactly. Well, maybe, but Sean Hannity is not an easy interview. You know? Guess who's going on Sean Hannity on Friday? Her. Her. Oh, gosh. Carly. She's annoying. She called Sean, by the way. I read this morning she called Sean. She was like, I'm sorry, I was just trying to say what tough interview you were. Yeah, it wasn't that bad. That one wasn't bad. The hair things.
Poor girl. Hair thing's a little tougher, right? Is it a beehive or something? What is it? It's really short and also has bangs. Oh, perfect. It's not cute. That is so yesterday. Yeah. If I could have hair back again, would I do it? If I had bangs? Mikey with bangs. Nobody draw Mikey with bangs. Oh, my gosh. Nobody draw me with a bow, Derek, cornrows either. Oh, gosh. Bow, Derek. You're like a 10. Yeah. I'm going to die. You're a dime. You're 12. Yeah. Thank you. I turned it up to 11. Hey, what do we have to give away? Do we have any angel sunglasses or maybe some... Anarchy. Anarchy sunglasses. Do we have that? Maybe some more concert tickets. We've got to have some of that. We don't have a producer. Our producer is actually helping me right now, I think. He's trying to help me out. I think so. He's in the process of helping me. Yeah. I think we got... I think we have Phoenix tickets. Do we? I think. I think. Don't say it if you don't know it, Woods. It's all right. But I think we do. We can come up with them. Yeah. I'll buy them if I have to, just so I don't get in trouble. I'll chip in. Okay, good. I'll chip in. I'll watch you, too. 570-1949. One way or another, we will get you Phoenix tickets. To the first person. You're killing me. I got no more tickets. Hey, Jay, do we have any more? Do you know if we have any more Phoenix tickets? No.
You guys are buying Phoenix tickets. I'll buy them. We got to buy a pair. They're not on sale yet. They're not? Nope. Uh-oh. We have some. We'll get a pair. Do we? I don't know, do we? Don't we? You know what I do have? What? Yes. Angel or anarchy. Angel or anarchy. Really? I think you guys are buying some Phoenix tickets. I'm going to take an M1 to Phoenix. Better hope you can get them before they sell out. All right, but they have to answer this trivia question. San Diego trivia. Let's do it. 570-1949. Who was it? Jay. It's me. Guess who I'm ordering food for. I just heard Phoenix tickets. Yeah, you may be going with Woods. What's your name, my darling? Oh, my name is Sarah. Hi, Sarah. Hi. How about angel sunglasses? No. If you answer this question correctly, if you answer this question correctly, then you're going to win Phoenix tickets. Yeah. Tickets to go see Phoenix. You heard it here first. All right. Are you ready? I'm ready. This touristy area of shops and restaurants is on the San Diego Bay next to the convention center. Uh-huh. What is it? Oh, my gosh. I just totally blanked. I gave you such an email. Seaport Village?
You got it. You got it. I did? Yeah, you did. Great work. You just won tickets to the band Phoenix. That's amazing. I am so happy right now. I bet you are. There's one. Now, all we have to do, Sarah, is figure out how to get you those tickets, and we will. Yes, we will. Hang on the line. I'm going to give you my debit card. All right, now we're going to give away angel or anarchy sunglasses because we gave away the pair. Of Phoenix tickets that we have. Alleged pair. Alleged pair. The invisible pair. That's right. The invisible pair. Now we got sunglasses. 570-1949. We all wear them. Oh, yeah. The Polarist. I have the Anarchies. They're amazing. I have angels because I'm an angel. I love them. Are you? I love them so much that I'd like to get some more prizes to give away to go along with them. Yeah. Eventually, we will. By eventually, I mean maybe 2013. Maybe I'll bring in some habanero peppers or something like that. Give those away. Homemade La Jolla habanero peppers. I can make some guitar pick earrings. Yes! Yeah, maybe we all do a, we make a gift. Arts and crafts. Arts and crafts. I made pog earrings once. Great. We all go down to Michael's. We buy some supplies. Maybe it'll look like a birdhouse. You guys like pipe cleaner people? Yeah.
Maybe we take a potato. We shove some pipe cleaners in there. I'm going to get some puffy paint. I'm going to get some puffy paint. Googly eyes? And I'll make some googly eyes. A puffy paint person with googly eyes. There you go. Mikey Show, who's this? Yeah, this is Brian. Brian, you ready to play some San Diego trivia for Anarchy Sunglasses? Absolutely. Your question is, this inner city park is home to the zoo, Reuben H. Fleet Space Center, museums, the old globe. I knew that one. Very well done. Hang in line. They're easy questions, so you don't have to freak out. You can do fine. I didn't know. Mikey Show, who's this? Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Here's your question. He's never heard that before, I'm sure. What's that? Rudy, travel south on I-5 across the Mexican border, and you'll be able to find some great bargains. What city is just south of the border? Really? Tijuana. The easiest game ever. Yes, it is. I know these. Not for someone that just moved here from Massachusetts or something. Hang on the line. I know these. You do? Yes. Who is the president of the United States? You knew Seaport Village? Yes. Yeah, right. I thought it was the gas lamp, actually. I thought it was the Embarcadero. Mikey, show who's this. This is Jose. Jose, I got an easy one for you. Okay. You ready? Yeah. You got to turn your radio down, bro. I did.
Across the bay from San Diego lies a quaint little city on a peninsula. What is it? You got it. Obviously. It used to be an island. Is that right? Yeah. Now it's a peninsula. I didn't know that. Nor did I. I thought it was still an island. You call it the Cornell Island. It's a peninsula because it's only surrounded by water on three sides. Three sides. I guess it makes sense. I just always heard. Let's see. Ooh, this is a good one. Mikey Show. Who's this? Hey, this is Michael. Hi, Michael. Hey. Let's see if you can get this one. All right. Originally, San Diego was named San Miguel. Really? Aside from what they say in the movie Anchorman. Today, you can see the way that the city was in the past in this particular touristy area. Blacksmiths, cobblers, Mexican craftsmen. They line the streets. What's the name of that area? Mikey's Village. Mikey's Village.
I have no idea. He'll say. No, they have a lot of Mexican food there. Can I answer? Yeah, you can answer. In this place. Go ahead, Woods. Where? Woods. Old Town. That is correct. Yeah, look at the San Diego kid. Have you been there yet? I have not. What? Do they have text message there? Oh, gosh. Let's see. Not. I think I'm going to do another one. Do one more. I'm going to do one more. Mikey Show, who's this? Hi, it's Rose. Hi, Rose. Hi, Rose. Rose. All right, how are you? Rose, your question is, what is San Diego's nickname? America's Finest City. Wow. You got it. That was good. Hang on the line. She was no joke. You know when you go to the airport, this is a question I've always had, and there's like, when you're driving by the airport, it looks like a big diamond ring on the grass. Is that because of America's Finest City? I always wonder. It's just like an artist installment or something. I like to think. Now you're in America's Finest City, so we have a little diamond ring here for you. That's right.
I always wondered why it was there. Put your giant finger in it. I know. Hey, I was reading Sienna's recap this morning, and it says that her mom and her got into it. Let's see if anybody's had this before. Her mom and her got into a discussion about this. I saw this. I'm like, oh, man, this is good. It was a heavy discussion. They got into a discussion about Christmas cards of all things. Already? Well, here's why. You need to plan ahead. The reason why is because, well, Sienna's married. She just got married. Baby on the way. Baby on the way, got a stepdaughter, the whole deal. Yeah. And your mom was saying that she still wants you guys to be in the family Christmas card. Yeah. Right? Yeah. The Richards family Christmas card. Not the Farrar family Christmas card, which is your new married name. Right. So my mom, every year we have a family Christmas card. My sisters are still in high school.
a couple years older than me. So, I mean, I kind of understand my brother and I not being it anymore, but because my sisters are young still, we still do it. And I'm talking to my mom yesterday and we're going through some of my wedding pictures. And she's like, oh, this would be a really good Christmas card. But it's my brother, me, and my two sisters. And I'm like, yeah, it would, but we would need, you know, the whole family probably, like Todd and Jenna and everyone. But mom, I'm going to do my own Christmas card this year, so don't worry about me being in the family one. And she was like, well, what do you mean? You're part of the family. And I said, I know. But now I also have my own family. And so I think it's time, I'm 25 years old, that I'm not in the Christmas card anymore because I'm going to do my own. And, you know, I'll send them to your friends too because they're close. I'm close with them. And the same people will see them. But she's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Like panicked. You are still my child. Todd is now my son-in-law. Jenna is my granddaughter. And now there's another baby. I'm going to have another granddaughter. You're all going to be in the Christmas card. And I'm like, okay. First of all, Todd's not going to want to be in that Christmas card. He's not going to want to be in any. Now, is Todd not going to want to be in that Christmas card? Because Todd's like, I don't want to take the time to get all, put on the clothes, go down there, pose and do the whole bit. He's like, I'm old. Like, I don't want to be in any Christmas card. I don't want to be in our families, which is just will be of our two daughters. Maybe the dog, too.
Aww. I know. The girls. I know. I'm really excited to do one. It's my first year. You know, I'm a stepmom now. I'm having a baby. Like, oh, I'm really looking forward to it. And my mom's like, that's great. You can do that. But you guys still need to be an artist. Maybe Todd doesn't need to if that's fine. But I'm sure she'll make him too. But isn't there like a time when you break out of that? Like, can't you? I'm 100% on Sienna's side. Yeah, me too. Because it's just like, when does it stop? You know, she's now going to be... When do you get married? Well, she's the matriarch of her own family now. Absolutely. And she's going to do her own Christmas card. Her mother is so proud that her little Sienna is having a baby. She got married. She got a stepdaughter. She wants to take that. I mean, hey, I'm a family guy, dude. I love a big, big family. That is rad. All of you guys will be together. I see that, too. But I'm like, okay, when is this going to end? You know what? I live. Like, so close to them. Like, I see them all the time. It's not going to end. I have to try and, like, break free a little bit. I would move before I change up to Christmas. I would. I 100% would move. No way. Move five miles away. It's Sienna's call. She's in a great spot. If Sienna and Todd talk about it and they don't care, okay, great. Todd won't even be in our families. Yeah, I mean, as soon as Sienna's got any issue with it at all.
End of story. My mom, you don't understand. It will break her heart initially, but she's going to have to eventually be like, okay, like it's tough, but a little girl now has her own family. I don't think she can do it. And it's going to be, I mean, trust me, my parents are, my older brother and my older sister both have babies now. They're born three days apart. And my parents are still wanting to be like, but. I tell you what to do because you're my kid. Yeah, but do you, I mean, it's just, it's hard because we all live in the same town and we all live so close to each other. So there's really no excuse as to why I wouldn't just go over and take the picture. Well, because it's just kind of setting a precedent of like, okay, when is this going to stop that I'm like still, I almost feel like a Christmas card hoe. Here I am. I'm in two Christmas cards. 5701949. What do you think? 949mikey at gmail.com. If you want to text us about it and let us know. What you think about it, have you gotten married and your folks still want you to be in Christmas cards? I mean, if my folks are so much older, but if they were younger, or if my in-laws wanted to do that, it just depends on how much it's going to put me out, I guess. Oh, boy. Seriously. And my mom wouldn't make us wear, like, matching outfits. Well, that would be the deal. I mean, if it involved, if it was real easy, hey, listen, if I can wear...
Something real simple and I don't got to leave. Robe. Yeah, if I can always wear a robe. Nude, maybe. Laptop. You'll have to look nice. You can wear whatever you want, but you need to look nice. So not whatever you want. It's your discretion. You know, if I don't have an issue with it, what's the big deal? There's no big deal. Like, have you thought yet, Sienna, about Christmas morning? Oh, yeah. It was kind of an ordeal last year because we had Jenna on Christmas morning. And so we did Christmas at our house. And then we go to my parents' house. But it's like the whole day at my parents' house. And it's, I don't know. When you get married, you got a new family. Yeah. I hear you. It's really hard. You obviously still acknowledge. But your immediate family, meaning your husband, your wife, in my opinion, that's what comes first. Then you go. Oh, I hear you. Yeah, yeah, sure. I'll come over and do the thing. I totally hear you. But, man, you know. Think about when they're not around anymore. That's what I do, dude. And that's the thing is my family's tight as can be. I always picture, and dude, you're talking to a guy that is, I'm missing my mommy these days. I miss my parents. I miss my brother. I miss my family. I mean, I'm in a new place. Jamie and I, all we have is each other, you know, so I'm all about it. Yeah, I mean, I'm in the same boat as you. My parents are 3,000 miles away, so is, you know, my brother and his.
family, and I miss them all the time. I mean, aunts, uncles, a whole bit. But it just is like, now there's a different relationship that takes place. You know? It's not that like... LLB don't have any problem shutting down her mom and dad. Listen, you're an adult. You're an adult. I can't do it yet. I try, I do, especially because... Todd is not very close to his family. They're on the other side of the country, too. He doesn't see them very often. So it's always my family. And it's like, I need to try and put him as my priority sometimes. And it's hard because I'm so close with my family. Woodsy, you think that beats up a husband? What? If the wife is like, going to mom and dad's, blah, blah, blah. And you're just like, no. Then it wouldn't matter. I mean, you know, again, it just depends on how you were raised and where you come from. I mean, where I come from and what we do is. Now, granted, I wasn't always like this when I was 19, 20 years old. I couldn't get far enough away from my folks. But the older I get, you know, man, I've lost a lot of family. And I've lost two family members since I moved to San Diego. Lost one last week. And the older I get, the more I want to be.
together and, like, we'll go to the lake with my parents for five days and just sit. Yeah, but you even said, like, you know, you get a rental car. Like, my parents were butthurt that I got a rental car. Because it was like, well, wait, I'm supposed to pick you up from the airport. That's what I do. You're a grown-up. Yeah, my mom said, you're a grown-up. Why did you do that? Why didn't you tell us? Blah, blah, blah, blah. And I said, because I'm 29 years old and I make my own decisions. That's also the cute thing about your parents do. My mom would die. She would be like, I'm picking you up. You're staying with me. Like, you're by my side. Yeah, they were hurt. I can't imagine. You very tactfully and lovingly say, yeah, no, you're not. I love you. I love you, but that's not what we're going to do. I love you. You guys have kids. Yeah. Think about in. 20 years, 25 years, your little girl in there going, yeah, I don't want to take a picture with my mom. Yeah. You're like, whoa. Don't say it like that. You got to be nice about it. That's what I said. You say it with love. Listen, I'm not going to like it probably, but my son at some point is going to have to look me in the eye and go, hey, pops, love you, pal. Lukey will probably say it in a couple of months. Love you, chief. Love you, chief. But they got to look me in the eye and say, dad, I love you. But guess what? You know, we're grownups now when grownups don't just do whatever daddy wants anymore.
I just remembered when I heard my dad's heart shatter. When? We had this Christmas tradition every stinking year. We line up Christmas morning. We line up on the stairs by order of age. Oh, boy. Yep. My mom would be the first one. Then my older brother and so on and so forth. And then my little baby brother was at the top of the stairs. My dad would have a video camera. He would take us all down the stairs. I love this. Come, say our name into the camera, blah, whatever. And then we have to wait in the kitchen and corral. And then my dad would go into the family room and go, Oh, looks like Santa didn't come this year. And we'd all go, Oh, no. Like a bit? Like a same bit every year? And then he'd go, Oh, yes, he did. And then we'd all have to get our expression as we came into the family room and looked at the little smorgasbord of gifts. The year that we all finally decided we were just going to storm down the stairs and not do the bit, his heart literally shattered. My brother was like, Dad, I'm 32 years old. We're not doing this. And could you see him like your dad? I saw.
break almost killed your dad that's what i'm afraid of with the christmas card guys here's the thing because somebody just texted in right now uh uh m1 doc just texted in and said christmas is the season of giving give your mom what she wants listen i think i'm going to listen if it does if it does not interfere with your spouse go for it. Like if you're supposed to, if he doesn't care, who cares? But it's like, I feel like I need to make a stand and be like a grown up sometimes. This isn't what you need to make a stand on. This isn't it. This isn't the one. I can take that. If your spouse doesn't care and like with the deal with you and your dad and doing the deal, I mean, listen, if it's really no, if it's no skin off your back. to stand there and let your dad do his video camera. It's annoying. It's so annoying. Lauren. I'm like, I have to go. Another brick falls. Another brick falls. Another brick falls. What are you talking about? Christmas bits. Hey, should San Diego really be spending more money on this thing I'm going to tell you about? Might look nice, but you decide whether or not a city that's completely in debt should be spending the dough on this. I'll tell you what it is. What's he picking the music today?
I'm going to turn the mics off just a second and ask about this person in the building and see what everybody's, because I'm, hang on. Oh, yikes. Okay, the consensus is we don't say her name. There is a girl in the building, and she works here in our building and asked us something the other day, and the consensus is we don't say her name. But we're going to tell you the story and see what you, the M1s, M1 Nation, think about this. Sit down for a few minutes while I educate your butt. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. And the 125 southbound after Lemon Avenue in La Mesa. We have a car that's stuck in the center divider. This report is brought to you by your San Diego County Toyota dealers. Toyota owners. Upside down in terms of money. Just don't know how to spend money. Messed it all up. Should probably build a new stadium. Yeah. Hey, listen. I'd be all in on them building a new stadium. I think it would bring money to the city. Bring money in. In fact, the only reason that we haven't approved a stadium sooner is because we got ourselves into a mess. Well, the city council, I think, got us into a mess. I might have had something to do with that. You did? I don't know. What, Lauren? I'm just not good with money. So you had something to do with that? I don't know. You said we. Yeah. So guess what they're thinking about doing? Putting a bunch of lights on the corn on a bridge. Making it a spectacle. A spectacle? Yeah. Listen, no doubt in my mind, it'd be gorgeous. Yeah. 100%. It would be amazing. It'd be really cool. And as long as they're going down to Walmart to get the lights, which, by the way, even if they went down to Walmart to get the lights, it'd still be a billion dollars. It'd cost four to five million to do.
All the lights that they want to do for the bridge. Four to five mil. If you think, San Diego is usually found on the top ten lists of the countries. You know, beaches, tourist attractions, weather. But we've never made the list for bridges. Great. It's always a golden grade bridge. You know what else? We haven't made the list for the best looking kangaroos. Why don't we import a million of those in, too? And the dirt. We never make the dirt list. Yeah, we never make the dirt list. The best looking dirt. Bringing some dirt. So, yeah, they want to put the lights on the bridge. No doubt. I think it's nice. It would be really pretty. Sure. It would be beautiful. It would be really pretty. Yeah, maybe we get a stadium for the Chargers. But it's really expensive. Oh, my gosh. And the port's going to need to raise that amount of money from private donors and foundations. And they've already spent $50,000 just on the initial design of the lights. Why? Why? It's a lot of money, you know, for something that's really not necessary. Yeah, well. I get it. So before we went to break, I said that, well, I asked everybody. I had to turn the microphones off to see what we do. We have somebody that works in the building that. was talking to us in the office the other day, our office, and said that, wanted to know what we would do about this because this girl listens to the show. And the deal was that she was helping her boyfriend put together stuff and organize stuff for a yard sale and picked up a box and said, does this go or does this stay? And he goes, that stays.
Meaning nothing in that box was going to be sold in the yard sale. Right. And so she said what any woman says. What is it? What's in the box? What's in the box? Oh, cool. Where do you want me to put it? And what's in it? Just leave it there. Just put it in the closet. It's fine. Okay, but what's in it? So I know maybe there's a better spot. It's pictures or something. It's good. Oh, well, like pictures of what? Like when you're little, I want to see. What are you on the school paper? Yeah, well, I want to see what you look like when you were little and younger. What are you on the school paper? I'm not, but I'm curious. I love you, and I want to see. I love you, too. Don't worry about it. Put it in the closet. But I've never seen pictures of you when you were little. If there's old pictures, I would love to see it. I'll show you some at Christmas. They're not old pictures. They're pictures of college, crazy days. Don't worry about it. Oh, I'd love to see that, too. I bet you would. I bet you had a totally different hairstyle. I bet you would. And I want to make fun of what you're wearing, because I know your dress is probably ridiculous. You write my bio? You write my biography? My Abraham Lincoln? I'm dating you. We love each other. Why can't I see? Don't touch my box. Guess what was in the box? What? Pictures of ex-girlfriends. Of course there was. Weird. Pictures of ex-girlfriends. Mementos. Yeah. Yeah. Little funny sayings. Little bits. Maybe like a movie theater stubs. Yeah. That kind of stuff. Maybe like a memory jar or something. A little handmade bracelet. Yep. Well, you know the very definition of memento is a souvenir, a keepsake, a reminder.
That's the big one. A remembrance. Oh, that's another big one. Oh, wow. A trophy. Oh, geez. It's a definition. Sorry. So she was upset. And what she wanted to know when she was in the office was, do you think that's something I should be upset about? Or am I playing an insecure person? Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She's female, right? She's female. Yeah. Oh, stop. Do you need the defense rest, by the way, Mike? Yeah. Let them out. Let them out. Mike, I'm pretty sure you've told me before that. It's a weak bit. Because I said that I have notes and cards and stuff from old people that I dated in a box somewhere. And you guys said that I should get rid of it now that I'm with someone. Yeah, I did. I got rid of my old stuff. So why shouldn't he? He should. He should. I got rid of my old stuff. I did. I had to throw it out. For me, if I didn't throw it out, it was too tempting to look at it. Really? Was it? Yeah. Are you serious? A 16-year-old girl in a John Hughes movie? A 16-year-old boy in a John Hughes movie. The Babysitter's Club. Really? Yeah. You're going to go through and go, gosh, I sure do remember Kim. That night she came over, we built that house of cards, and we had such a great time and watched a movie to get... Really? Yes. You have a beautiful wife with three kids. Yeah. And if I were in a moment of...
weakness slash temptation slash whatever, I might break out pictures of the old hot girlfriend and dot, dot, dot. Who knows? What? I don't know. Look at him. Reminisce. Why? Why? Yeah. What do you mean, why? Because I'm a dude? Am I the only one being honest here? No, we're all being honest. I have a couple things, but I never look at it. Well, you wouldn't. Girls wouldn't look at a guy and be like, oh, I remember that. Oh, I remember that. Well, maybe you would. Them more than us. Why not just look at a magazine with a hot girl in it? Them more than us. You don't want to throw away your memories of what they looked like, how hot they were. Right? Well, I didn't want to. I knew it was the right thing to get rid of it all. It is the right thing to do. You just need to remember so you can pat yourself on the back? No. Well, I don't get it. You don't? No. I had pictures of ex-girlfriends in bikinis. Oh. Really? Yeah, snapshots when you were hanging out. Picture of her in a bikini. I have jewelry that guys gave me that I won't get rid of. You didn't? No. You didn't have pictures of your girlfriends just normally? I had pictures of my girlfriends, but...
Every time, I mean, I'm a sentimental guy. Jamie and I have a lot of stuff that we've built up over the last nine years. And there's been other people in those nine years. Nothing. Nothing. Zero. Zilch. Zero. Nothing from college. Have you thrown it away? Oh, yeah. Yeah. What if they got you a really cool... Why? Because I don't care. I got my dime. That's what we're talking about. Well, what if... Okay, what if... But I could have it. I could have it somewhere and never think about it. Yeah. Ever. Well, but why would you? I wouldn't. Yeah, you wouldn't. But I'm saying I could, and it wouldn't, I mean, Jamie, I mean, she may have stuff from her first marriage. I have no idea, and I'm like, hey, listen, I'm being honest with you. I'll tell you the honest truth. I used to have this very box. I hadn't looked at it in years and years. Okay. But when I thought of it, and I saw it, and I went, oh, I know what's in there. Right. I opened it up. looked at it and went, you know what? This is not a good box to have. I pictured you like, for some reason, I pictured you and Rebecca getting in a fight and you going, well, I'm going to go look at my box. No, no, no, no. No, but it could be like this. It could be like this. It could be that you see that, but you're not in a fight or whatever. No, let me retract that. Let's say that you see the box and you're looking through it and it just so happens that during that time, you're going through a rough spell with your...
current person. This may shock you, but I don't think there's anything wrong with reminiscing about good times that you've had in your life with people that are other than your, your wife. I mean, I think back to my college girlfriend, I'm like, We had a great time doing some of the things that we did. And it's not, I mean, it's what makes us people. I don't think that that's, I don't have a problem with reminiscing. What about like, okay, girls can hook it up with some pretty awesome gifts. For sure. What if you had like a signed baseball by a great player or something like that? Keep it. 100% I can keep it. Really? Oh, yeah. You don't have anything like that? I'm trying to think, man. Because I have jewelry that I won't get rid of, but I won't wear it. I just, I won't get rid of it. I don't think I have. I literally can. The thing I can honestly say, I don't have anything that a girlfriend has ever given me other than my wife. Did you ever keep the box? Oh, I had a box. Jamie and I have a box. It's a blue box that I got some Ralph Lauren cologne in. So it's got the Ralph Lauren horse on the top. It's got letters. It's got notes. It's got memories. It's got all kinds of stuff in there. Of just the two of you? It's the two of us. Yeah, that's cool. I keep the box. I'm a real sentimental dude. M1 Matt from La Jolla. How's it going?
What's up? Hey, I just want to love the box. Yeah. The box is no good. The box only leads to other things like checking phones, checking Facebook. All that stuff seems like it just snowballs. And it all starts with the box. But what if it's like there's, what if you have presents? Like, aside from pictures and cards, like, what if it's like something that that person gave you in the past and maybe you like it? Do you get rid of that? If it's a keepsake. I would say, you know, if it's not going to be that big of a deal, like, if you really think about it, the person you're with is not going to care about it that much. But, I mean, like, Wood's situation may be different because he's got his wife and they're both cordial with both having this box and they both know what's in the box. Well, it's them. It's only their stuff in there. Between the two of them, it doesn't have anything to do with exes or anything. Yeah. Woods, I got a question. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fire away. Okay. Woodsy. Yep. What about if your wife had jewelry that an ex had given her? Would you be okay? She may. She may. I was just thinking the same thing. How do you get rid of it? Well, that's the deal. My wife may have jewelry that came from someone. I just don't know it. And I'm asking myself right now, how would I feel about it? She very well might have jewelry that she's gotten from somebody. And for me, I'm like, eh.
Oh, well. Because it's like you don't just get rid of that. No. I don't have a problem with it. You know what I would have a problem with is something like, something really sentimental. Like, what was this? Like an empty champagne bottle or something that she kept. I'd be like, for what? Because that was our anniversary. I'd be like, are you out of your mind? Get rid of that. Yeah. Yeah, it'd be weird. Yeah, it'd be really weird. Lauren, would you be upset if your boyfriend had a box? of letters from the ex, would you be upset if your boyfriend had a box with pictures from the ex? Would you personally keep jewelry from your ex? No. You would not? What would you do with it? I've never gotten really nice jewelry, so maybe if it was like diamonds or something, I'd have to reconsider. What if it was a really nice necklace? You know, it wasn't diamonds, but it was like a valuable necklace. Somebody else could use it more than me. What would you do with it? I'd give it away to the Salvation Army or something. What if you loved it? I wouldn't love it that much because I know where it came from. Really? So you really would give it away? Yeah, I don't need it. I don't need a whole lot of things. Wow. I'll just give it away. I had the whole box. When I was with Matt, he had one thing that he used.
that his ex-girlfriend made for him. It was very specific, very sentimental, in my opinion. He said it wasn't. Kept it. And I was like, really? And I joked about it. And I was like, oh, yeah. And just kept poking and prodding. And then he goes upstairs, takes a stack of cards and letters that are all tied in a rubber band, and was like, here, I don't need it. I don't need any of it. And threw it out. And then I had to go home and throw my box out for my eyes. Everybody's got a box, huh? It's obviously different when you're married. and you marry somebody that you've been with for a long time like I did. But, you know, I just... I don't think it's any different. It is. A committed relationship is a committed relationship. You don't need the box. Once you're done with one relationship, hey, move on. Cut the cord. M1P Fox from San Diego. What's up, man? You know, I have a box, and I think that the girl that I was with that the box is mainly full of, we had some really beautiful times, and we had a lot of really bad times. And the girl I'm with right now, we love each other so much and there's so much trust there that, you know, sometimes I think about that ex and I think of how horrible it was. And I look back and I'm like, you know what? It really wasn't so bad, you know? I was still like a decent person to her and, you know, we still really had good times and, you know, the things we shared were really cool and that kind of helps me out with my new relationship in a way. So you need the box to remind you of that? Yeah. No, I don't really need it, but sometimes I feel like I do, you know? Yeah.
Sometimes you feel like you need the box. Sometimes it does remind him, though. Sometimes. Well, let me just understand this correctly, though. Sometimes you need the box to remember this. Yeah, honestly, yeah. Okay. Don't be tied to your past. Let's walk through that. Totally. So sometimes when you're in love with your girlfriend now. Yes. You're like, hey, it's Tuesday. It's 425. We're having a wonderful time together. But, you know, I think it's important that I remember that I went through some bad times with my ex. You know what? But just thinking about it isn't really enough for me right now. Honestly, I think I need a little bit of a memory jogger. I think I need to go to my box. And I think what I need to do in order to remember how rough those times were so that I can further appreciate the woman that I'm with now. I think I need to break into that box, just take a couple of looks, and then I'll be like, yeah, that's right, current girlfriend. I sure do love and appreciate you. And, you know, unless I had that box full of pictures of all those bad times in a bikini, I probably wouldn't be able to realize to its fullest extent how much I love you now. No, it sounds stupid, but really there was a lot of hard times.
I'm sure there were. I mean, that's why she's not your current girlfriend. Right. Yeah. I mean, we all have hard times with our ex. That's why they're their ex. And listen, all I'm saying is you can have your box. Everybody can have their box. My suggestion here is your current. probably don't dig it, especially if it's a woman. And I'm telling you, from a guy's perspective, I don't want my woman having a picture of a bunch of old dudes with her arm around some dude and some dude with his arm around her. I'm just like, come on now. I mean, really? You know, honestly, a lot of that sucks is letters that I wrote to her that she gave back. And I'll read those more than anything. Yeah, it's kind of like a journal. You know what I mean? Like, that's how I felt at that time. That's good. It's cool to see that, too. You know? The letters. That he wrote. That he wrote. Yeah, you see how you grew and have you grown. Absolutely. You read the stupid things that you wrote and, you know, stupid things that you felt, and it kind of just makes you laugh sometimes. We got a chick on the phone that says, my husband's got a box? I don't care. M1 Jessica from Rancho San Diego. Yeah, hi. It doesn't bother you at all. No, he has a box. He has letters, photos, cards.
stuff, you know, all sorts of things. Why? Well, you know, it's just he's kind of a pack rat. He's not one to, like, throw away anything. But, you know, he's even, like, showed me some of the pictures and whatnot in it. Don't care. You're secure. Wait a minute, Woodsy, does that mean that if she doesn't throw it out, that she's, if he doesn't throw it out, or if she does care, she's insecure? No, she's not insecure, but she's very secure in their relationship. Is it possible to not want your ex to have pictures of their ex or your current to have pictures of their ex and still be secure? Not as much. Really? Yeah. Kim has pictures of her ex. Why? Not at all, because she was in a water ski show. other people water skiing. I have pictures. If it's pictures of me, why would I throw away pictures of me? What about pictures of them, like, embracing each other? Well, they're not making out or anything, but they're, like, on the same team, you know, skiing, and he's holding her. He's dressed up like something. That's different. Oh, what about this, then? A family picture. Every year at Christmas, we would take a picture of the family. There's a couple pictures there where my girlfriend at the time was on the wall. So it's on my mom's wall at my mom's house, and each year's photo is there.
So Kim comes in and sees it. Should she be upset that there's a girl? No, I don't think you can pretend that that year didn't, that Christmas didn't exist. But like specific pictures of you guys together, letters together, like all the mementos I think are a little different than incidentally being in a picture together. I'd have problems if it was just. a guy, a picture of a guy. But I think if the two of them are together, I think it's a history of her. It's kind of like a museum of Kim. It's like, hey, there's a guy she went out with. If she truly loved that guy, she would still be with that guy. She's with me. One, just so I'm like, okay, when I look back on my life, here's like, okay, that's that guy I dated. So I can't be like, oh man, I don't even know what he looks like. I can't believe I don't have a picture. I think Jay said something important. I think when he said, If she truly loved that guy, she'd still be with that guy. I think Jay's right. I also think that something else is proven in not getting rid of pictures of an ex. It means you still want to be able to look at pictures of your ex. And I think that says something, too. For me, the reason that I'm not going to have pictures of my exes on me is because I kind of think that that's disrespectful to my wife, Rebecca. For sure. I got a wife. I don't want her to feel like.
I have anything left in my heart for any ex. And I'm just speaking for me. It was difficult to throw those pictures out because I think that a lot of... Here's a way you put them. Another way to put that box, I think, is the just-in-case box. No way. I'll just tell you what I mean. I'll just tell you what I mean. For me. For me. I'll just tell you for me. Some of you may. Listen, for you, it wouldn't be, was he? If you had said box. But for me, I know that a lot of those people in there represented just in case. And what I mean by that is. Represented or represent. Represent. I threw it out. So, I mean, I. At the time, you were saying these represent a just in case. A fallback. It was in my mind. Keeping them meant it was a just in case. That was never the case with me. That may be the case. I'm telling you from my perspective. Because I know that there are some people that are listening right now that in their heads are going, yeah, me too. When I had it, those people that were in there, I, at any time, if anything had gone wrong or sideways, I could definitely see giving so-and-so a call. Especially if you know that person still hung up on you. I don't mean, hey, we're going to get married. But I definitely mean, hey, you know, I don't know.
Give you a call. What are you up to? So having a picture. I meant there was something still in there. Okay, so let's say you throw the box out and things aren't going well at home. You forget this person's name and phone number? No, you still might go to it. You still might go to it. Yeah, you still might. So they're always. For sure. Anybody in your past is a just in case. Absolutely. Right. But keeping those pictures around is a physical. Affirmation. It's a physical. affirmation of that fact. Makes sense a little bit, but it's also, I also kind of think the museum of Kim, the history of Kim, the history of Jamie, you know, hey, granted, when I met Jamie at her house was her old wedding picture. That thing didn't come down until her mother passed away. And I had to walk in and look at that. I wasn't stoked about it. It was her mom's though, right? It was her mom's. Right. We were married. Yeah. And I'm walking in going. That doesn't have anything to do with Kim though. Cool. That's her mom. Jamie. That's her mom. Right. That's her mom. And if your parents do it or whatever, what are you going to do? Maybe you say, hey, can you take that down? Well, the funny thing is when we moved out of our house, we did a big black tooth on her and drew some funny eyebrows. Did you really? Yeah, on the wedding. For real? Yeah, it was hysterical. 570-1949. 949mikey at gmail.com. This is pretty interesting.

It'll be canceled soon, though. They were two separate accidents in that exact same spot. National City Division Street ramped to northbound 5, an overturned car. It's overturned in the ditch. It's off the left side of that on-ramp. Just be careful as you approach there, and you're going to probably find a backup. The 8 westbound before the 15, an accident, a car in an SUV. That slow lane is blocked as a result. This report is brought to you by your San Diego farmer's insurance agents. With farmers, you don't just get insurance. You get ready. Welcome back to Mikey Show. You can call us if you want to. 570-1949 is our number. And you could also text us. 949mikey at gmail.com. We were talking about having an old box of memories. This conversation bothers me. Yeah, people are talking about it on Facebook. Oh, yeah. Hitting it up on Facebook.
And Jay asked me a great question during the break. He said, what about ex-girlfriends of yours, Mikey? Do you have an ex-girlfriend on Facebook? And I do. And it made me think about it. I'm like, now that I think about that, I don't think I should. I just wonder if it would be weird. I mean, honestly, I can get rid of that in a second if that's in any way disrespectful. If Rebecca wasn't okay with it, then... She knows the girl. Right. You know, it's that kind of deal. But at the same time, I go, well, you know what I mean? Like, I don't want to do anything that's disrespectful. I don't want to be really makes me evaluate it. Yeah, for sure. I have I think I have one ex-girlfriend on my Facebook. Yeah. That was my girlfriend in college. But, you know, married two kids, losing Chicago. And it's literally maybe a once every six months. Hey, how are you? Kids look great. Hey, how's the gig going? Great. See you. Yeah. You know, it's and, you know, there's probably even no reason for that. No, it's weird. It's like there's no reason for it.
You don't think about it. Well, Jay got me to think about it, and I think he's got a good point. I think it's completely valid, and I think I'm going to do something about it. If I came home today and Jamie goes, I want her gone, I'd ask her why, and then I'd do it. If it had to be done, I would do it. Well, see, my deal was, my thought was, as soon as he said it, I'm like, I can get rid of those easily. And then I instantly thought, man, they're going to think I'm a weirdo. And now I'm sitting here thinking, I don't care. Because if they ask me, hey, how come you deleted me? I don't think I have any problem saying, you know, because we got in this conversation about it on the air. They wouldn't ever ask you that. I don't think so either, right? Yeah, it's like, that's really weird if they do. Nobody would ever ask that. No. Guess who's on the line? Who? Sonny from POD. Sonny, how you doing, man? Hey, what's up, brother? How are you? I'm great, thank you. Hey, dude, Sonny and I were talking the other day because he's got something really cool.
coming up this weekend, and it's at Qualcomm, right? Yeah, yeah, in the parking lot. It's a benefit for Haiti? San Diego loves Haiti. San Diego loves Haiti. And what is this going to be, and how will it be helping out the folks in Haiti? Monaco took a trip to Haiti. It was really on his heart to go out there, and he hooked up with Promise Child and some of the local churches out there, and he just really had a burden to... raise money because they see the need of where the money was going in the proper channels, in the proper places. He hooked up with Promise Child, and this way they're going to start building a medical facility, an orphanage, a local church out there. So he came home and just kind of just went bananas and put together a big benefit concert this Saturday. That's awesome. So POD will be playing. Yeah. And who else is going to be playing?
A bunch of local San Diego bands. The Strangers are going to be there. Aqua Dual Stadium. There's going to be like four stages. There's going to be a car club show. All kinds of cool stuff, man. That's awesome. Yeah. That's awesome. So now, if people want to go to this, do they buy tickets ahead of time? Do they just show up out there? How do they do it? They pass routes, man, through a lot of the local businesses and the community stuff. It's $10 right now, but since the show's coming up. Saturday, if you make it down, I think it's just $15 down there. That's cool. That's pretty good, man. That's a good price. Yeah, and all the money's going to help people out in Haiti and rebuild and all that stuff. That's great. For sure, man. It also brings our community together, you know what I'm saying? For sure. For sure. And it'd be cool to get that Charger anthem going right there at Qualcomm. Yeah, man. That'd be cool. Let's get it going. That's great. You still listening to the show, bro? Always. I'm so proud of you, bro. It's good to hear you back on the air, man. I was there listening the first day ever since. That's great. Yeah, bro. Sonny has always been a big supporter. Good dude, and I support you, man. Let's get a lot of people out there to the parking lot at Qualcomm and get people to support this thing and hopefully raise a lot of money. Hey, Sonny, thank you for coming on, man. I appreciate it. Awesome. Appreciate you guys. Thanks, man. See you. That's Sonny from POD. Montes Yahoo.
That dude is for real, man. He's legit. That guy is legit, man. First time I saw him, I go, this is a joke. It's a bit. He's not kidding around. It's some guy doing a bit. He ain't kidding. Not a bit. And he's the one that doesn't even touch girls, right? He doesn't touch girls. Yeah, he won't touch. He won't shake a woman's hand because he's so serious about his Jewish religion and his faith. He is for real, dude. Legit, dude. I'm going to do my hair like this. Yeah? I want to see that. Would you? I'll wear a wig. With it, right along with it. How do you like that? I don't know. We need the chops. I need the chops. So, Sienna, how much... Well, first of all, let me ask you guys. Get your temperature on it. There are people on the phones. Do we take more calls on the memory box? Or... Lauren is out on the memory box. She's over the memory box. She's done memory boxing. Just do what works for you and be respectful of your significant other. Yeah. Do that. Maybe. For once. And then... Wow. Did you just say... What? I was speaking... Were you projecting? I mean, was there any projection in that? This is all hypothetical. Right. I mean, hypothetically, you were saying that. I didn't hear what you said. You said, for once. You heard that. No, it was like... I don't like the whole connection to the ex bit, and I went over it a thousand times with my ex. You did?
About not liking it, and he didn't care. Do you have any? What? Exes? Oh, yeah. On your Facebook? I got exes. All my exes live in Texas. Fair enough. Do you have any on your Facebook? Yeah. Well, no, no, actually, no, not anymore. She's lying. That was a lie. I saw a smile. You smiled. I saw a smile. There was a little bit of a smile. Well, I did. I did up until last night. Yeah. That's why she smiled. No, no, no. But exes besides that ex. No. One of them's not even on. Well, two of them are. Actually, all like three of the main guys are not even on there. Your last boyfriend. So far as I know. Your last boyfriend. When you were with him, did you have any former boyfriends on your Facebook? No. None of them are on Facebook. I'm friends with my ex from high school. I'm friends with his wife on Facebook. No. Close enough. Yeah. How about emails? Do you have their email addresses in your email address book? No, it's not in my address book, but from time to time they'll contact me, but I've got none of them in my phone, none of them in my address book. Yeah. How about you, Mikey? Are they in your email address book? Yeah, but my email address book literally has, let me see. 4,000 is my guess. I say 4,000. I say 800. 519.
So if you're ever feeling weak, you could go to your email address. You know what, though? You know what? Actually, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I think actually I don't. No, I don't. I actually don't. The thing it comes down to, I think, is love and respect. Which? Lauren is finally saying something that I completely agree with. 100%. No, actually, I don't have addresses. No, it's mutual, though. What is? The respect thing. Of course. You heard me say earlier, you heard me say, I think that that would be disrespectful. She still doesn't get that bit. I was sitting next to her yesterday on the couch and I looked over and I go, yeah, it's respect. And she rolled her eyes and I instantly knew she doesn't get it. And this is me. I think in her mind, she's thinking like, you're Japanese and she's a gay shit. Yes, she is. She is. And that's not it. It's not it at all. It's not. She's like, it's not. The book Love and Respect, it's about guys loving their wives and women respecting their husbands or boyfriends. Yes. And Lauren's like, well, why don't we get the respect too? But what it really should be is men love and respect your wives. Women respect your husbands.
No, I don't even think that. See, I think it should be called, for whatever crazy reason, men really get turned on. By respect. By respect. I think it should be called Mutual Love, Respect, Trust, Odyssey, Communication. How about Women Are Perfect, Men Are Not? No, I'm not on board with that title either. Aren't you? No. Aren't you? Aren't you? Aren't you? I think you're on board with it. Wow. Did we just do barbershop quartet? I think we did. Let me try it again. Aren't you? Aren't you? Aren't you? Aren't you? Aren't you? Better. Much better. Well done. We practice next time. Kid got excited. Weird. How much is Obama's apartment in New York? How much do you want? Let me guess.
How many square feet? How many square feet? Let me do a little setup for you. Set it up. Now, this is the apartment he lived in in the 80s when he was going to Columbia. And it wasn't real nice then, but now they've, you know, fixed it up a little bit. It's a two-bedroom, one-bath. And it's on the... Two-bedroom, one-bath. Uh-huh. Where? Columbia is like in Harlem or something, right? Near the border of Manhattan's Upper West Side. Morningside Heights neighborhood. Lauren knows exactly where Harlem is. Weird. Not weird at all. Isn't it? So, yeah, the place has been redone. Two bedroom, one bath. Doesn't say how many square feet. I guess a million five. No. Per month? No, per month. Per month. It features a chef's kitchen along with a king size bedroom. Yeah. 75,000 a month. No, it is. This apartment rents for three grand a month. Mike. Really? New York? Really, Mike? It's a two-bedroom. What is it? Two-bedroom what? It's a two-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a chef's kitchen along with a king-size bedroom. Oh, okay. Okay, sorry. See, I don't know where that is, though. This is on Craigslist right now. I don't know where this place is. Yeah, it's advertised on Craigslist. I don't know what part of New York City it is. Up in Manhattan's Upper West Side. Oh, Upper West. Okay.
Dude lived in the Upper West Side when he was in college? Yeah, but it was like a dump. He stayed at the school more. They have dumps in the Upper West Side? They've refurbished a lot since the 80s. 80s, yeah. Okay, it's five grand a month. Seven. Lauren? I'm sticking with 75 just because it is $1,900 a month. What? That's it? Yep. I was going to say 24, and I was like, I'm done. There's no way I can say 24. $2,000 for a two-bedroom in New York City. I'm shocked. Done. Where do I sign? I know it. Shocked. My Aunt Kathy may want to move back. Say what? My Aunt Kathy used to live in New York and used to live in closets for like three grand a month. It was like the size of your closet. I'm not kidding. You're saying Aunt Kathy. Oh, Aunt Kathy. Silly Aunt Kathy. She's listening right now. I Aunt Kathy. I Aunt Kathy. We love you. Maybe you make it right. Aunt Kathy. Aunt Kathy. Aunt Kathy. Aunt Kathy. Aunt Kathy. Nobody knows ya. Don't think. When you say that, I'm like, do I continue and say nobody knows ya? Yeah, I never know. I don't know. No. Okay. I'm just saying she may want to move back. It's cheaper. A lot bigger place. Wednesday does two things really good. What's that?
Talks about Aunt Kathy and kid can eat some spaghetti. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Can I feast on some spaghetti? Yeah, you can, buddy. Monday, he came. He goes, I'm going to go heat up some spaghetti. And so what did we all expect the same thing? What did you expect? Just a little Tupperware leftovers for dinner. No. He came back in with a chafing dish. It was like a crock pot. Yeah, it was a crock pot. It was one of those white casseroles. Casserole dishes that you bake a casserole in. Yeah. With the white, with the clear top on the glass top on the top of it. Lid. Filled. Filled with spaghetti. Filled. Filled. Filled. It was like rigatoni noodles with meat sauce. Delicious. Lots of meat sauce. Like a shepherd's pie. Kid can slay some spaghetti.
I was like, no, no, no. And he's like, yes. Woodsy, do you know off the top of your head the most that you've ever eaten in one sitting? Off the top of my head? Yeah, I mean, I've done a 20-piece nugget with a cheeseburger and a large Coke before. What? Todd came home the other day and said he went to Mickey D's and got the 20-piece. And he's like, I feel like, how could I have done that? I'll kill a 20-piece right now. Really? Yeah, right now. Just pop them in. The chicken's gotten healthier. It's delicious. Our friend CB killed about $230 worth of sushi at one sitting. That's insane. That's nuts. I wasn't there, but I heard about it from him and from Russ. It was just, you know how they give you the little plates? And there's like eight slices of rolls, you know, on each one. But he does this thing. He does a thing. He only eats once a day. That's a weird bit. Oh, once a day? He eats once a day because he doesn't really, you know. He doesn't get hungry. He only eats when he's hungry. He never stops moving. I know it. If you get on that schedule, it's probably easy to stick by. We're like sedentary. We're like banana slugs on a log. We just eat. I'm hungry. I'm not hungry. When I was a kid, I ate so much of a particular fast food, I got sick. I couldn't stop eating it. I had the same thing with wontons. I haven't eaten wontons since.
Crispy wontons? I love wontons. One night I was like probably seven or eight. Wonton soup or wontons? Wontons. Like crab wontons? Fried wontons. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like chips with meat in it. Yeah, yeah. And I ate probably like 40 of them or something ridiculous. Do you still like them? No, I haven't eaten one since. That happens, man. It's like tequila. Uh-huh. You get drunk on tequila, it makes you throw up. You never drink it again. One and done. The other night I made one of those Stouffer's like frozen lasagnas, a family-sized one. And I really wasn't hungry because we had gone off and had our meeting and eaten a lot. Todd ate the whole thing. A family-sized Stouffer's lasagna. Oh, my gosh. I was like, well done, buddy. He was able to kill the whole thing. And that dude's skinny, man. I know. He was able to do that. I see my dad knock back about 65 hot wings in a sitting. Yeah. I'm not kidding. Some things you get, like I ate a whole pizza in college. You, what size? A large Papa John's. You ate a large Papa John's? Lauren? Yeah. Dip it in the garlic sauce. Yep. How many cocktails have you had before? Oh. A lot. Me and my friend, like we, this is our bit every night. That's probably why I gained 15 pounds in college.
We would come back from the bar and order late night pizzas up until three o'clock. We ordered it for our whole suite, like six girls. And they all fell asleep. So me and my roommate just closed the door. We took a pizza each right to the dome. And feast it. Yeah. And did the other girls do it too? They fell asleep. That was me. I always fell asleep. And then I woke up and hung over the next morning so bummed. Yeah. My friend Amber. You guys get pizza? When Krispy Kreme first came to San Diego, there was one that opened in Claremont. And my friend Amber was so excited that she went, drove through, got a dozen, like a whole box of the original glazed Krispy Kreme donuts and ate the entire thing. You know what? Gosh, I could do it. She's a skinny girl. You could do that? I could do it. Have you been to Krispy Kreme right when they come off the... Oh, the hot? Oh, my God. And then you drive by and you make sure that the light is on. Yeah. You know that bit? Yeah. Yeah. It makes me wonder about like the... The guy that always wins the hot dog eating contest every year. Kobayashi. Kobayashi.
He lost. But he lost to an American. He lost his last time. Michael Sparza beat him. Yeah, Michael Sparza beat him. He was a college kid, wasn't it? He wiped him out, too. He broke his record by a lot. He stoned out of his mind. The record I think Kobayashi had was like 52. And this dude ate like 70. So he destroyed the record. Hot dogs. You know how they do it, too? They break them, dip them in water. And eat them so that they are easier to get down. And sometimes they drink the water. How do they do that? I heard Kobayashi used lemonade. Really? A little secret. Really? Yeah. That's what I heard. I'm going to try that next time. Sugar breaks it down or something? Maybe the acid breaks it down. 570. $1.94. I could eat a lot of Yum Yum Donut, rainbow sprinkle donut holes. I know that. I could do the wings. You know the whole pieces of cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory? Yeah. Like they're massive. They're for like two.
I could never eat a piece of it. You ate a whole cheesecake? No, a whole piece. They're that big. It's like eating a pie. Yeah, it is. It's the size of a brick. When I was a kid, I used to take the big block of cheddar cheese and I'd cut pieces off and melt it in the microwave and just salt it and eat it. I ate a whole block of sharp cheese. Okay, so wait, you would cut it off, you put it on a plate, and it would like melt and bubble. It would just bubble up and kind of get a little crunchy, and all the oil would kind of seep to the surface, and then salt it, and then eat it. That's disgusting. Oh, talk about clog you up. Oh, yeah. Oh, boy. Shut down. It'll get you. 570-1949. I want to hear some interesting stories from you. You got some of those. Love to hear from you. I saw Hoyle creeping around in that bathroom knocking on doors since we had that conversation yesterday. He's all freaked out. Yeah, he is. Good thing he's knocking. Maybe we'll talk to him next.

I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. E.T. Sandier Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. That's a little bit like a rocking grandma. That's what I was thinking. Is that Norman Bates? Axl Rose. Axl Rose? Mm-hmm. You mean Axl Rose, your next-door neighbor? No, Axl Rose, he used to sing for a little band called GNR. Oh, that Axl Rose? I was like, can't be the same one. Sorry, it's not JoJo. Really?
Now, did you buy Chinese Democracy? I did. Oh, you were the one. Yeah, I was. Kid's a fan. Yeah. Fan once, fan always. Yeah. Who's their guitar player, Bill? No, Buckethead. Really? Uh-huh. You're going to just call him Bucket? His name's Buckethead. His name's Buckethead. His name's Buckethead. That's different than Slash. That's different than JoJo, too. All right. No Miley Cyrus today. You know what? Touche. Touche. Yeah, I was thinking the same exact thing. At least mine has drums, and he writes his own music. You ever think the same thing? Yeah, I wanted to say, actually, verbatim. Touche. Touche. Forbatim. Forbatim. This is funny. M1 Sherry from San Diego. You there, Sherry? Yeah, I'm here. She's calling about what she calls the Mikey Show curse. This is funny. No, it's pretty funny. No, it's so true. I'm telling you. So, whatever you guys talk about on the air, I listen. I'm addicted, so I can't stop listening. Yeah. Love that.
So whatever happens that you guys are talking about, it happens to me, like, either later that day or the next day. It's hysterical. For example, okay. So you guys are talking about if it's yellow, let it mellow, except in a public facility. Right. So I go out later that night for a couple of drinks, my favorite watering hole, go into the stall. Seriously? Yellow. Yep. Really? Right. Disgusting. Yep. So I had to, like, use my foot to flush the toilet. That's all gross. Of course. Okay. So then yesterday, I go out to dinner, and it's like one bathroom, like one toilet, you know, facility. Yeah, we talked about that. It has one of those little metal locks that slides. Yep. It was on there by one screw. One screw. Oh, gosh. And I'm like, okay, I got to go fast. Like, I'm timing myself. I got to go as fast as I possibly can. This woman, she must have been on steroids or something. He yanks the door. He was going to, like, fly off the hinges. It didn't open.
But it scared the poo out of me, literally. Literally. Oh, my gosh. Right. So now that you guys are talking about eating and all this stuff, I'm probably going to have a party sub all to myself tonight. Yeah. Yep. For sure. That's awesome, Sherry. So, so thanks, you guys. Thank you, Sherry. We appreciate it. We'll keep the hits coming. It's really interesting that Sherry said that because you guys will notice this when we talk to M1s. And I've said this before. M1 Nation. Real serious. I mean, we know that. They are rabid fans. If you're not a fan of the Mikey Show on Facebook, we urge you to go to Facebook and become a fan. But there is a very interesting thing with M1 Nation. M1 Nation says exactly what Sherry did. There's almost like an addictive quality to the Mikey Show that we will hear M1s talk about where they don't just listen, but they... must hear it all and like even uh m1 lauren this morning was saying that she's catching up with podcasts during commercials right it's genius yeah our m1s they need that they gotta hear every single second which is amazing i didn't even listen to the day that i was out you didn't i didn't the day i was out because it's like it's hard yeah not for me
I'm telling you, man, like, I listened to it. I even edited the podcast. Yeah. Really? I was driving. We were off that one day and was driving to Home Depot, weirdly enough, because I never go there. And I heard our show. And I started laughing, like, out loud. And I'm like, dude, I'm a dork. I'm laughing at my own show. And Woods said, you know, he texted me. I remember you texted me about it. I had been listening at the same time. No, I did too. And I was driving to Starbucks when I got the text from you. And I had just done the same thing. In fact, I was listening to our show and I wanted to participate. Yes. I was listening to it and I was like, but wait a minute. What about, and I'm like, wait, it's us. We already did this. That's me doing Neil Diamond. Yeah, I already did that. Okay, fictional characters, full names. This is so cool. This just came out. And again, our M1 is so awesome. They're like, oh, this is something you guys need to talk about. So I had so many listeners send this to me and I was like, okay, I'm talking about it. Okay. So now what I'm talking about is like Barbie. She has a full name. Characters like that. Okay. Let me start with Barbie. Okay. Barbara Millicent Roberts. Millicent. Yeah. Would you like to know Ken's last name? Yes. Kenneth Carson.
Really? Yes. Makes sense. All right, say without their middle names, just their names. Yeah. Barbara Roberts and Ken Carson. Amazing. That's awesome. So normal. And I didn't know that Barbara was shortened to Barbie. I thought it was shortened to Barb. I didn't know that. You can do either way. I didn't know that. I know a Barbie. You do? She's older. And is it her full name is Barbara? Yes. That's awesome. Yeah. Snuffleupagus has a first name. No, he does not. That is his first name. Oh, really? Snuffleupagus. It's Mike Hyper. It's Aloysius. Of course it is. Aloysius Sniffelophagus. I love him. He was my favorite. Aloysius? Aloysius. Look at that. This is Aloysius. I've never had cake this wonderful. It's Aloysius. The Peanuts comic strip. Peppermint Patty. Any guesses? Yeah, well, Peppermint. Patty Schwartz. Butch. Yeah. You'll never get it. Patricia. Did he just say butch? No, the other. Yes, I did. No, the other word. Butch. Oh, did he? Yes, he did. He thinks Peppermint Patty was Butch. What's wrong with Peppermint Patty? I don't have to say anything's wrong with her. It might be Butch. It might be her middle name. He's saying that she's going to play Lilith Fair. Yes. Peppermint Patty's real name is Patricia Ricard. Of course it is. Patricia Ricard. Mr. Clean.
Has a first name, which is never used. Mike Esparza. Really? The name came from a give Mr. Clean a first name promotion, which was in 1962. And so people came up with Mr. Clean's first name. Thaddeus. Thaddeus? Telly Savalas. Veritably. Veritably clean. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It's dumb. It's dumb. Okay. Stop it. All the rest are really good. The Monopoly mascot. Oh, the monocle man? Oh. The real name of the Monopoly mascot, Rich Uncle Pennybags, is Milburn Pennybags. One of my dogs. Milburn. Have you ever seen Pennybags? Oh, it's Penny Belt. That's right. I don't know what Night Court is. Do you know what Night Court is? Yeah. Is that a show? What was the guy's name? Bull? Bull. Yeah. Well, would you actually know Bull's name? I knew it. I used to know it. I can't remember. Thaddeus. It starts with an N. Orenthal. And it's a weird one. Norton. Nougat. Nougat. And he has the same last name as one of Mike's DJ names. Nick Shannon. Nostradamus Shannon. Nostradamus. 98.7 K-Wave. It's Nostradamus Shannon. It's actually the first name. Okay, on Entourage, would you like to know Turtle's real name? Do they just call him Turtle? Chubbs McGee. Salvatore Asante.
That's the character's name. I actually knew that one. Did you? You love Entourage. Boyle, you just wait. I'm going to get to you. Before Mama stopped letting me watch Entourage, I used to know all the trivia. Did you? Yeah, Mama won't let me watch it. Yeah. That's too bad. Gilligan's Island. Skipper. The Skipper. Would you like to know that? Alan Hale. That was his real name. And this isn't the actor's real name. This is the character's. Character's real name. The Skipper's real name was probably Ted. Jonas Grumby. Grumby? The professor was Roy Hinckley. Really? I think I knew that one. That's great. Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. Norville Rogers. Jesus. Norville. Listen to this one. He's a stoner. I love this one. I was a big time stoner. Oh, yeah. So good. The Pillsbury Doughboy's name is Poppin' Fresh. I knew that. He has a wife named Poppy Fresh and two kids Popper and Bun Bun. Aw. I'm sure it is Maki. Really? Really? Boy, that was dead on Woods, by the way. That was my Woods voice. Oh, really? Dead on. Sure you ain't gonna call him Maki. Yeah, that's dead on. You know the game Operation? Yes. The guy on the table? Oh, the patient. Micah Sparza. Let me guess. What? Maki. Really? That's the worst thing I've ever heard? That is Woods. I think it's pretty good. I think it's good, too. It's awful. Oh, my gosh.
awful. The patient in operation is Cavity Sam. The Lone Ranger was John Reed. Speaking of Cavities, what about Mikey? What's with the nice list? Seriously. And this one, right now, Captain Crunch's full name. Now, we all know Captain Crunch. It's a delicious cereal. Mikey does. Mikey loves it. Mikey's like Captain Crunch. Captain Crunch's full name is... Get ready, Hoyle. Captain Horatio Magellan Crunch. Horatio. Maybe that's where you got your name. Yeah. My name is Horatio, but it isn't where I got my name. Oh, where'd you get your name? Mama saw into the future and knew that I was going to be a big David Caruso fan, and his character's name is Horatio in CSI. That's true. Really? That's true. That makes sense. Wow. What's your middle name? Maybe you keep your eyes on your own paper. What is, okay. We know that it's Horatio Hanratty. Yep. Where did Hoyle come from? My middle name. Your middle name's Hoyle? No. What is it? Hoyleton. Your middle name is Hoyleton? Oh, really? Is that funny? Is that the deal? Yeah. Yeah, my middle name is Hoyleton. They call me Hoyle. Did your mom used to do mushrooms? Where'd she get that name? Horatio Hoyleton Hanratty? That's awful.
Mama has never done mushrooms. Are you sure? I'm positive. Mama has never done... Your mama's on the line. No way. Oh, boy. Mikey, I'm not kidding you. I will deport you if you put mama on the line. Do not put her on the line. Get her on the phone. He's legal here, okay? Is this Hoyle's mom? Yes, hello. Hi, Hoyle's mom. Hi, this is Peggy Sue. Hi, Peggy Sue. Missed you. Hang up, mama. Hey. Horatio. What? You best be going by your God-given name. I do go by my God-given name. It's Hall. Oh, in your eyes, Horatio. Don't call me that. Hoylton. Mama! Tanratty. Don't do it. I told you don't lose the request line number. Triple H. Hey, I'll tell you something, mister. I'm glad I have you on the line. Hang up, Mikey. You're in big trouble. Hang up, Mikey. Mikey, don't hang up. I'm not hanging up. Hang up the phone. What? You are in big trouble. Hang up, Mama. No, I ain't going to hang up, and I ain't going to let up. Because you're in trouble. I found your pornography. Mama! Mama. Y'all, I don't look at anything dirty. What are you talking about? What?
Oh, really, Mr. Pervert Man? What do I look at? What is this? Sex in the city with four pussies on the front cover. Wait a minute. Hang on a second. That's not pornography, though, Peggy Sue. Sex in the city? It is not pornography, Mama. Sounds like it to me. What are they wearing, then? High heels and leggy legs showing. Mama, how did you get in there? Oh, how did I get in there? You think I don't know the combination to your stupid lockbox? You have a lockbox? Yes, he does. What's the combination? What's the combination? It's a private, personal... Don't you give it! Don't give out my personal combination! What kind of brain you got in your head with a 1-2-3-4? I didn't think you'd think of it. I thought it was... That's the first thing you think of. It is. I went to 0000, and then I went to 1234. My knucklehead son doesn't know how to keep anything private. My nosy mama is looking in my personal box, where I keep my unmentionables. You know, you live at home with your mom, though. I mean, it's part of the deal. Hey, Sienna and Steven. Yes. Do y'all want to hear what this filter means? Mama! Yeah, what else is in there? Where is Michael? Is Michael there? Michael's here. Michael's here. I'm right here.
Do you want to hear what this filth head has in his lockbox? Don't read it, Mama. Don't look at anything. I want to know. I'm just dying to know. Read it. Read it. That is not for it. Right now. Coyle, be quiet. Okay, we've got this pornographic sex in the city. Yeah. We've got a pack of Camelot. Coyle? A ratio. A red yo-yo. What? There's a Swiss almond knife. What are you doing carrying around a weapon? I go camping, Mama. Who do you think you are? Stop it. It's for camping. You're a criminal. Don't touch me, Mama. Cigarettes. That's bad. I see seashells. Seashells? Those are my boys. Don't touch my boys. Your boys. I call my seashells my... That's not for you, mama! Garbage pail, kids. Garbage pail, kids. What is this garbage pail, kids? Mama! That is my personal box. It ain't meant for you to be going through. And don't be looking at sex in the city. What's this? I see some homemade nunchucks.
Who do you think you are there? Jackie Chan. Yeah, Jackie Chan Jr. over there. Mama, if I need to protect our home, I will protect our home. Oh, you ain't protecting. What are they made out of, Peggy Seal? This is made out of some sticks and wires. No, it isn't. What is this? Made out of ivory. What are you, eight? It's laughable. It's made out of ivory and gold. It's laughable. No, it isn't, Mama. It's unmentionable, and it ain't for your ass. Well, you know, I'm most upset still about these four hussies, and I don't know. Those four hussies, by the way, are Carrie, Miranda, Samantha. Hussy, hussy, hussy, hussy. And Charlotte. And Charlotte. And Charlotte sounds like a whore. You know what? It ain't none of you. Oh, it ain't? looking through the devil's eyes, son. You don't know what you're talking about. Hoyle, you live in her house. You should respect her rules. Sex in the City's not bad, though. It's my yo-yo. But you're 57 years old. You don't have a yo-yo? No, not since I was six. Do you have a slinky, too?
Yeah, there is. Mama, don't touch the slinky. If you touch the slinky, you're better pay for it. It's a rainbow slinky. I don't know what kind of grown man has a little rainbow slinky. I bought it in Hillcrest. Put it down. Put it down. Put it down. Put it down. Put it down. Put it down. Well, you're dead when you get home. You are dead. You are dead. Mama. Mama. Those Camelettes are from 1967. They don't even work anymore. Oh, really? They don't. When you get home, I'm like, you smoke the whole pack. That'll teach you. That'll teach you. Yeah, it will. Peggy Sue, I thank you. for letting the community know what Hoyle's up to. You're welcome, Mike. And don't worry, I'm putting in a call to Rick Jackson. Oh, boy. Our general manager. First of all, Rick Jackson is under my employ. Oh, that's not what your paycheck says, mister. My paycheck don't say nothing, mama. You don't even know I signed your paycheck and deposit it. That's the truth, actually. I'm surprised to hear you actually get a paycheck. What do you mean? Because I've still never seen your office that you speak of.
I have practically a whole floor all to myself. Where is that? I'll show it to you, maybe. He's only got in about three of them, Sienna, in the past three years. Hey, Baldy, hang up the phone. What'd he call me? I'm not talking to you, Mama. I'm talking to Mackie. Okay, well, I gotta go. I gotta work on my corns and calluses. I take it easy. Disgusting. Thank you, Peggy Sue. Thank you, Michael. Oh, yeah, thank you, Michael. Thanks for letting Mom get on the air. Garbage pool, kids. One, two, three, four. It's the best you can do. That's a combination. I know. Best you can do, though. I didn't think anybody would think of it. Really? One, two, three, four. Who would possibly think of it? Your mom. Well, that's because Mama used to work for the CIA. She's a brilliant woman. She's a brilliant woman. She probably tried it as a joke, not thinking it would work. Knucklehead. Like, he couldn't be that dumb. Yeah. Mama's been smoking crack cocaine. Yeah, right. Sounds like your mom's got it together. Sounds like you might be a little creep. She made it to go get her nails done, though. Sounds like maybe we all need to have a talk after the show. We'll come into my office and we'll just have a talk. I'd love to see where this office is. The Fantasyland office. I'm going to have to have a little talk with Rick Jackson later, by the way. Oh, you're going to have a talk with him? That's right. Our general manager who is under my employ. He's not.
I don't think so. I had him on a couple of projects. They're a little behind. I'm going to talk to him about it. I'd like to sit in on that conversation. Absolutely. See how that goes. You'll see how it goes, all right. I told Garrett, the program director here. Garrett. I told him that we're going to start changing some things around here. Yeah, we are. I heard. You said we're going all rap. That's right. Haven't seen it happen yet. Still playing a lot of Muse, a lot of Edward Sharp. I think you said that about two months ago. Nothing's changed. Oh, really? Guess you haven't heard four o'clock in the afternoon, have you? Four o'clock blues break. Hello. That's been here. It's been here way before you were. Yeah. It has? Yeah. Yeah. That's Tommy's bit. All right. Well, I thought it was mine. No, that's not yours. Four o'clock blues break. I told him the other day. I said, why don't we play some blues in the afternoon? He said, yeah, it's a great idea. We'll do it. How about four o'clock? And I said, what about four o'clock? Or he said, what about four o'clock? I said, that sounds great. Turns out that's. No, it's been here. Yeah. A lot of. Old bluesman, harmonica. It's a good bit. That little Dr. Evil lookalike. Got one over on him. Yeah, he did. He did. He was just appeasing you, I think. Drievel. Little Dr. Drievel, didn't he? He sure did. He does look a lot like Dr. Evil, that Garrett. Somebody's going to Edward Sharp him right into Wednesday. Pod Squad coming in? Yeah, we got the Pod Squad in here in a little bit. Yeah. Talk to the Pod Squad about what's going on with the Padres. Let's see.
570-1949 is our number, or you can text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Did y'all talk about that alligator in Florida? Of course. Now, we're going to get to that. Hoyle's been in the show now, too. How'd you know about that, Hoyle? Because it's in Florida. I get the Florida Times delivered directly to my iPad. Oh, wow. There's something called the Florida Times. I've never heard of the Florida Times. There's about the whole state of Florida. Yeah. This covers everything. Jacksonville down to the Kings. What was the deal with that? An alligator came wandering into a middle school in Tampa, Florida on Monday around 7 a.m. Crap. Yeah, just came wandering in and just chilled right in front of the cafeteria. This is a middle school, so that's like, you know, 11 to 14 or something like that. I thought that was the coolest thing. Really? No. When you're a kid, isn't stuff like that exciting? Nope. Not when you grew up in Florida. Well, it was at 7 a.m., so the kids didn't arrive until about 7.30. So they were able to get the people from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation over there. They got the alligator out of there. I had to corner him in the hall. How scary is that? When I was a kid, man, anything different was cool. Yeah, that's true. Fire alarm, fire drill. Oh, coolest thing. Coolest thing in the world. It's an excuse. Yeah.
So they got it, though. Yeah, everything's cool. No one was injured. I didn't get in, I wondered. Walked in. Just came. Walked in. Strolling on in. That's very tiny, Mikey-like legs. He smells food. Is that right? Yeah. Did you guys hear that Ralph Macchio is talking about the Karate Kid? I'm sure he is. He is. The Karate Kid. Have you seen the previews? Yeah. Worst looking movie I've ever seen. I've been saying that. Oh. As somebody that is a diehard original Karate Kid fan, this one looks ridiculous. Ridiculous. Yeah. Well, Ralph Macchio went to the red carpet of the new movie, which has Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan comes out on Friday. And he said that, you know, he really had mixed feelings about it. He said, at first I had mixed feelings. I felt old. Number one, when they start remaking your movie, you definitely feel old. Once I got past the fact that there's a whole new generation, it was more about, OK, you can retell the story because it's a beautiful story. That Ralph Macchio has not been in one.
Movie. He was in My Cousin Vinny. Was he? Yeah. 91. No. That long? Yeah. So since 91. So he's like, I'm going to stay in the good graces of Hollywood. Yeah. And two thumbs up on this movie. He was in Entourage. He was in a couple episodes of Entourage. What did he play? He played Ralph Macchio. Are you serious? Himself. Yep. Played himself. Played with himself. Can you imagine if he couldn't get it right? He couldn't nail the role. Director's like, you know what? You got to fire him? Yeah. You know, it's funny. He says he sounds old. You know, he was like 37 when he did the karate kid. Yeah, he just looked 16. Yeah, he looked 16. He was old. He was old, old. Yeah. Oh, yeah. He was a pretty old guy. He was 25 years old or something. No way. He was. I thought he was like 18. No, somebody called. How old, Jay? Oh. Oh. Somebody call in because people know that. He was. He was an older dude. I'd say, I'm going to say 22. What? He was cute. I thought he was so cute. Did you? When I was little, I was like, he's so cute. How much did you guys like that girl in the first one? Elizabeth Shue. I wanted to meet her. On the beach. He's amazing. Playing soccer. Ponyboy. Let's see. He was Ponyboy. Soda Pop. Want to know what us guys do early on that scare women away? I just found out. Yeah, we're going to give you a baseball flavor. If you can answer this, you're going to win a pair of Padre tickets. You ready? Yes. It's a tough question. What is Woodsy's baseball number? Really? 22. Atta boy! You are correct. Really? Well done. Well done. Double do. Double do.
So you, M1 Josh, are going to see the Seattle Mariners Friday night, 7.05, hang in line. Very well done. Is that your major league number? Yeah. Don't worry about it. M1 Irish Mexican from San Diego, how are you? I'm doing well. How are you doing, Mikey? I'm doing good. I'm doing good. Let's see. What does he want? You ask one. What position do I play? Oh, my gosh. I thought this was Mikey Show trivia and not Woods Baseball trivia. I meant Woodsy Baseball trivia is what we meant. What position does Woodsy play? He's a pitcher. And? I don't even know. I know you're a pitcher. Pitcher's close. Yeah, that's good. Pitcher works. He moved to first base. That's right. I was going to say first base. That's good. He wins. He took one for the team. Yeah, I didn't even know that. There you go. You're a winner. Hang on the line. Awesome. Hang on. I hope I didn't hang up on the other guy. I don't think I did. Oh, gosh. Look at that. It concerns me. Woodsy baseball trivia. Yeah. It's really good. Who made up those questions? I don't know. Mikey did. Yeah, on the spot. On the spot. On the spot. That's how you like to do things. Yeah, yeah. It's very live. Yeah. You look too alive. Well, listen. I love the scarves. I love them. Me too. They're pretty warm. Woods has it on right now. Tell us about the quality of that thing. Dude, it's legit. Like, it's not.
You know, it's not going to fall apart on you. It's legit. I got it wrapped around my neck because it's freezing cold in here. No, it's not. I'm not carrying around a little baby, aren't I? But it's awesome. It's awesome. That's great. It says San Diego Padres on it. It's blue and white. It's red. Jared, are we missing anything with this stuff coming up? No, I just encourage people to get on out and come support the team. You know, we've got the second best record in the National League right now. Teams have been playing well on the road. The whole division is just going to be wide open, I think, this year with us and the Giants and the Dodgers and the Rockies. So we need the support. We were talking to our GM the other night, and they're out in New York, and he just said the guys cannot wait to get home for nine games at home in front of our crowd. How do you feel about the draft? I'm still waiting to actually get it all broken down because there's so many guys you're getting selected. But, you know, our top couple picks from everything I've been reading here from our baseball operation guys are really excited. And I think we took like three local kids here in San Diego as well. I know there's a couple kids at least. So trying to, you know, make sure that we're grabbing that homegrown talent and bringing it up through us. Steve Strasburg. Yeah. Would have been nice. Yeah. If you weren't picking one, you weren't getting them. Dude, did you see him pitch the other night? Yeah, that was impressive. Filthy.
That was really crazy. Yeah. Well, I'll tell you what. Jed Hoyer looks like Jed knows what he's up to. And this first kid that they picked has the stuff. He's that type of throws heat. He's got good command. He's young. But, you know, hey, give it a couple years. Absolutely. Give it a couple years. Well, guys, thank you for coming in. I love when you guys come in here. And we now know what you guys are going to be giving away. It looks really cool. People can get those as they go out to the game. And thank you for letting us give away some tickets, too. We appreciate it. Absolutely. Absolutely. It's our pleasure. Thank you, guys. Thanks for coming in. Thank you. Love the pod squad. Thanks, guys. Okay, so here are some of the things that we do, that guys do, that scare women off. Breathe. Well, when he said this and we went into commercial, Woods goes, how much you want to bet, Mike, me and you are all of them. I'm saying at least four for five. Guaranteed. Okay, you guys want to give me some guesses? So this is right when you start dating somebody. Things to scare them off. Yeah, way too quick. Okay. Tell them you love them too early. Yep. Text or call on the first night. Nope. After you drop them off. These are more like general things that you don't want to do on the first couple dates. Okay. Being too easy to please. Meaning you say like so many nice things. You laugh at everything she says. You always, you know, you want to do whatever she wants to do. Yeah. Check.
Yeah, right. Because then it's like you're being insincere to us. Hey, I'm trying to close a deal here. I'm going to do whatever I'm going to do. That one I would not qualify for. I would. That one I wouldn't qualify for. Not that one. Because I'm sitting here, I'm like, I'm going to think about this honestly. Honestly, I wouldn't qualify for that one. What if you went on a first date, Mike, and the girl's like, if you said, where would you like to go? And she's like, in and out, would you go? Yeah. If that's what she said. If I ask the question, I'm a goober. Right. If she answers it, and I'm like, well, no. You know, you're weird. You're just a weird guy. Yeah. Because I know that you don't like In-N-Out very much. Well, my wife. It's not one of your faves. Just because your wife loves it. I love it. It's a cheeseburger. You could suck it down. You'd be okay. Yeah. And eat the cheeseburger. All right. Another thing you don't want to do too early, guys, being a little too focused on the love making and the things that go along with it. Check. Like maybe you're staring at something you shouldn't be staring at. Try to get to second base. Old Mike was definitely too. Hyper-focused on the lovemaking. 100%. Old Mike was also the single Mike. Yeah. Old single Mike was, yeah, he's ready to rumble right away. You know what that makes you? What? A male? A dude. Yeah, you're just a normal dude. Yeah. Being possessive too soon. Yep. Check. What does that mean? Calling, you know, like. That's possessive? No, but like, already like. Yeah, possessive is like. Hey, get away from my girl. No, I think it is possessive. Possessive means.
You go out on a date, maybe two dates, and then you go, hey, you busy Friday night? And she goes, oh, no, I have plans. You're like, what are you doing? That's possessive. 100%. That's possessive. I don't want you wearing that. Steve Woods, nice to meet you. Really? 100%? No way. Crazy. One of the examples that they gave is like, you know, say you try to call her. You haven't heard from her for a couple of hours. So you go on Facebook and start calling and texting constantly trying to see what she's doing. Like, chill out. You haven't talked to her a couple hours. Pleasure. Hey, listen, Woodsy may think that that sounds crazy. I'll give you this. I think it takes, I didn't have the confidence to do that. I didn't even have the confidence to do that. So if I had gone out on a date with a girl, I wouldn't have had the confidence to be like, hey, what are you doing? I would always, I'd be such a schmo. I'd be like. Well, maybe she'll text me. Maybe she'll call me. Man up, guys. Kid had to close a deal. Had to get in there. Yeah. Dating is the worst. Yeah. I'm so not looking forward to it. Have fun with that. Maybe you get into a mindset where you go, this is going to be a good time. This is going to be fun. I'm going to change this. Has it ever been? Lauren, it's going to be great material for the show. Oh, yeah. I'll just take one for the team. Be out in the trenches. Take seven or eight for the team. Yeah.
Another mistake that guys make early on that scares women away, being cheap. No, I'm not cheap. Me neither. You don't need to take her to a really nice restaurant where there's... Don't you? No. Don't you? Really? Yeah, because girls love it. They love Applebee's. Let's go feast. They love it when it's a first date and you're like, yeah, we're going to... Are you cool with the Rubio's? No, but... On the first date? Not like... Rubio's or something like that, but you could go like CPK. What's the bottom? Yeah, you could. See, that's the difference. You can't do Applebee's, but you could do CPK. You can't. Applebee's, I think a girl would be like... Put a lot of thought into this, pal. I recommend... the non-chains, though. Yeah. You know, go somewhere that's like a little... I've been going to this place. Yeah. Pepe's Hot Dog Stand is always a big one. They love it. They love it. Stop it. I know this little family restaurant. It's called Roberto's. A great place to go on a first date in San Diego. It's one of those nice little places in Little Italy. Yeah. Oh, yeah, money. I think that would be lovely. Who doesn't like it? Guys, if you have a first date, just call them. Just email me. I'll take care of you.
I'll tell you where to go. Woods of wisdom. After he asks Lauren and I. Yes. I have three minds over here that can help. And Mikey, too. And another mistake you could make to scare her away too early is... This is so obvious. I don't know why people do it. Don't talk about your exes. Ever. Duh. You're guilty of that? Oh, yeah. I've done that bit plenty of times. Yeah, I did that. You talk bad about them. You might as well be talking good about him. Just bring him up. Yeah, just probably just shut your mouth. Keep it loud. I would talk bad about him before. You would? Oh, yeah. On a first date? Oh, yeah. I would reference. Let's do it. Reference. I would reference. Don't reference. Only if they ask you. I wanted them to be sure to know that, you know, somebody else actually found me desirable enough to date. I actually have had sex with another person. Oh, boy. FYI. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949. or shoot him a text, 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up on FM 94.9. Tribal Seeds comes to San Diego Saturday, June 12th. Oh, my God. 21. Oh, please. Now that's more like it. No.
Our cynical little chick. I know. I am cynical. You are cynic. I know. It's too bad. Jaded. You're so jaded. How do you get so jaded? She's had it so wrong. I've had a long life. Seen a lot of things. Really? Been wrong. Really bad, Blake? Yeah, seriously. Is that right? I've broken up with a lot of guys. Okay, I've broken a lot of hearts. I had my heart broken, too. Really? Used to be a truck driver, is that it? Yeah. Used to wait tables. Unbelievable. Worked at Comic-Con. If you look at her, you go, sweet little, nice little, you know. Angel. Yeah. And you talk to her, she's like, slit your throat. Yeah. It's true. Let's see. I said that we were going to do something right when we got back. And now I don't remember what it was. Weird. But it wasn't this. Come on, Sienna. I forgot. What did I say? Come on, Sienna. No, I'm saying. What did I do? Not come on you. I'm saying.
Because I was going to you for it. I forgot what it was. It wasn't you. We weren't talking about anything. We were laughing about what men do that scare women away. And then Woods made a joke. And then we got off the air. Really? Yeah. What was the joke you made? I don't remember. I don't either. I'm turning into Mikey. How is it possible that I forgot in the time span? We all do. I think it's because all of the breaks become one. Somebody said to me the other day. Remember when you blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And I go, no. No. My wife every day. They reminded me of every word. It was so funny what you said. I'm like, what? Is that today? Oh, constantly. I have to be reminded. What did I say? When was it? Sometimes people say, so what did you guys talk about today? I'm like. No idea. My sister always asks me, how was the show today? Good. What did you guys talk about? I, you know. Couldn't tell you. Man, listen to the podcast. Yeah. 94.9. 570.
1-949-9 is our number, or you can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Maybe if you remember what we were talking about, just call in. Yeah. This woman is okay. I'm going to tell you this before I even go into the story, but this woman is okay. She was dragged behind a car because she didn't want to let go of her Louis Vuitton bag. Wow. Is that correct? She's my idol. She's your idol. Yeah, she wasn't going to give it up. Yeah, no. This woman, it happened around 9.50 a.m. on Tuesday, and this woman was called over to a car where three men are. What do you do when you're alone and you're called over to a car where three men are? You don't go. You don't go. Well, this girl decided I'm going to walk over and see what they have to say. No. So when she got near the car, one of the men grabbed her designer bag and... The car accelerated. Yeah. She didn't let go of her bag, and she hung on to it as the car was driving away. Holy crap. And because she's now causing a scene, holding on to the side of the car, being dragged along the road, they let go of the purse, and she fell on the ground and got her bag, and nothing was taken. Oh, wow. And just a couple little bumps and bruises, but she's fine. Oh, my gosh. What a warrior. Yeah. That's pretty outrageous. I mean, yeah. For the record, though.
Don't do that. No. Don't do that. Throw it in the other direction. It's just stuff. Run. Stuff can be replaced. Yeah. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is not the most leaning tower anymore. Not anymore. The Capitol Gate is. What's that? Want to see a picture of it? Yeah. Where is it? Look at that. Oh, my God. Whoa. Oh, it was made that way. Yeah. Well, no, they made it that way. Yeah. I thought it was, like, same deal. It's in... Why'd they do that? Abu Dhabi? Yeah. Oh, yeah. That's where the Sex and the City 2 is. Abu Dhabi? That's where it is. Looks like a boot. And it is now the world's furthest leaning man-made tower. The Guinness World Records just named it that. The building leans 18 degrees, which is nearly five times what the leaning tower piece is. I don't like that they did that. Why? Just leave the leaning tower alone. Come on. It's a piece of history. Yeah? Don't compete with it. Leaning tower is only four degrees. This one's 18. That's pretty amazing. Stepped it up a notch. 35 stories. Hey, did you hear about the classroom that they were cleaning up? They're in there. They're just cleaning. And in the process, they find something very historical inside of a book. Well, not very historical, but something, a piece of history. It was from 1792. Wow. Old, right? Yeah. And it's a receipt from...
He's like, that's where it is. That's my receipt. That's right. You're supposed to expense that. For his musket. This happened in Massachusetts, and the teacher found this receipt. It's a document that was payment of a debt among some old textbooks and papers as the teacher was cleaning out through. And she showed the classmates, like, look at this. Look how old this is. And they were like, you need to do something with that because that's crazy. It's 218 years old. And it turns out that the document originally belonged to Jonathan Bates, who was a Vermont man who had served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. Yeah. He owned a coal cart right next door to Jay. It was a good dude. It was Audrey Hepburn's death certificate. Yeah, that's right. You mean Catherine? But it's crazy because... Audrey? Catherine. Like, no one has any idea how it got there. The books are not that old. The school is not that old. You know, nothing in there is that old. But that one piece of paper was stuck in a book. That's crazy. Yeah. Shania Twain is officially divorced. She is. Probably from Mutt Lang, right? The guy that was... Mutt Lang. Robert Lang. Yep. Was finally finalized in Switzerland. Yeah, Mutt Lang pretty much made her into a star. Absolutely. Along with Def Leppard.
Def Leppard, Mutt Lang did ACDC. Wow. Produced their albums. That's a weird story because Shania, he cheated on Shania with their friend, right? A mutual friend of theirs. And now Shania is hanging out with that friend's ex-husband. Weird. Yeah, his name is Frederick Tybod or something like that, spelled funny. And they basically just switched partners. Weird. But Shania did it legally, you know? Yeah. Well, when they were already separated. It's still really strange. And Shania and Frederick, this new relationship, it hasn't been confirmed a relationship, but they hang out all the time. They go on vacations together. It's pretty weird. There was a cop from Los Angeles that was selling meth in San Diego County? Yes. His name is Yoshio Romero. He's 28 years old. And he was selling a lot of money. Basically what happened is he had a buyer. It was an undercover DEA agent. Selling meth. Yeah. He told the buyer to go to his vehicle. He had a Chevy S10 pickup truck. He said, look, it's parked near the Sears at North County Fair. What you want to do is you want to go in there. I'm going to leave the passenger door unlocked. You're going to see it. You'll see it. I'll have it there for you. Leave the money in the center console of my car. And so the guy did, and now he's in a lot of trouble. This is a cop from L.A., and he faces a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison. Matt Lauer had the opportunity to talk to Rampage.
Gwen, I want to read something the New York Times wrote about your body, okay? Mr. Jackson's entire body seems to have been hammered on the anvil of the gods. His abs are laddered. His torso is bowed. This is the New York Times. Hey, it's crazy that people say that about me, but you know what I'm saying? Me coming from the sports world and everything, and all the fighters know me, and they was like... Rampage, how you get your body like that and you don't even know how to lift weights? I don't know, man. God just made me. Oh, my gosh. God just made me like this. Lauren looked mesmerized. He's really modest. He is very modest. He came in the studio. He did? Yeah, he came in the studio and I interviewed him. And he, that guy is one of the most intimidating looking human beings I've ever met in my life. What do you mean by that? I mean, that dude is chiseled, man. He is chiseled. Is he coming back in? Chiseled like that? Yeah. I think a different type of chiseled. Really? Yeah. Are you sure? Yeah. Yeah. Lifts up his shirt every day. I know. Every day. He shows us his belly. Somebody has to. You don't want to see my belly. It's getting big. 570-1949. Beginning and end of every show. We do open phones. You can call about anything you want to. So give us a call. Let's see.
Bark Malman's here today. Oh, that's right. What time does he get here? He's getting here at 1.30. My wife's picking him up. Nice. Very cool. I'll be at the doctor. Oh. Yeah? Yeah. Making it right? Yeah. Your shoulder all right? Yeah. Everything okay? Mm-hmm. All right. Eye doctor. Maybe getting LASIK? Maybe. That's cool. Got to see if I'm a candidate. You are. How do you know? Pretty good at that. Yeah, I used to study it. I have an astigmatism. Read a book. Just on your free time? Yeah, my free time. Because Mikey said that, I actually feel like, yeah, I think you are. Yeah, I feel better because I was going to... I had astigmatism. You did too? Yeah. Why is it called an... It's called astigmatism. Mm-hmm. Not... Not stigmatism. Not stigmatism. Is that weird to you? Yeah, the word starts with an A. It's an astigmatism. Let's see. That is weird. Hillary's in the studio. Hi, Hill. How you doing, Hill? Did you know that about the astigmatism bit? The word? Yeah. I did. Okay. Pretty smart kid over there. The LASIK is great. I wore glasses for years. Oh, the LASIK. And used to wear contacts that drove me nuts. I bet you had big red tortoise shell glasses at some point. Yeah, I did. But when I did, they were cosmetic. Oh, that's right. Yeah, it was in high school. It was like the cool thing to have those. Shocking.
Hillary's looking at me right now like I have the flu. Yeah. That's probably what was cool to you in high school was not cool to Hillary in high school. You think? Really? You think so? Oh, it was hideous. Absolutely hideous. I doubt that, Mike. What do you got coming up today, Hill? Not a surf covers record. I can't get enough of it. Me neither. So I got that one. What else? Temper Trap and Dead Weather and Vampire Weekend. And Bowie. I'm going to start my show with some Bowie. That a girl. Cool. Let's see. M1 Ziggy. What's going on? Not too much, dude. I just wanted to call in and let you guys know that I'm excited to see you guys tomorrow morning. I'm going to be there in the studio with you guys. Nice. Congratulations, bro. Very cool. I just wanted to let you guys know that. That's awesome. We'll see you then. We're excited to hang out, dude. Let's see. M1 Alex from La Jolla. What's going on? Hey, guys. What's up? Hey. Hey, I'm going to the World Cup on Sunday. Are you really? That's awesome. Where is it? South Africa. South Africa. Oh, my. Yeah. So when do you fly out of here? Sunday night. I'm not actually sure what time, but sometimes Sunday night. Are you stoked or what, man?
I'm really, really excited. We're going to be there for three weeks. Holy cow. So lucky. How old are you? I'm 23. Time of your life, kid. Time of your freaking life. Let me tell you, just the thought of that at 40 years old scares me to death. I mean, that would scare me. Don't scare me. I'm saying the partying. The partying. Just the thought of it, of all the partying and being around the partying, I'd be like, oh, my gosh. But when you're 23, it's time of your life. They're not going to party. They're going to wake up early and go to games. There you go. Yeah. Very nice. Shark diving, too. Holy cow. Oh, yeah. The what? Shark diving. Call us when you get back, dude. We'll get a full report. I love sharks. Johannesburg, isn't that where that is? Oh, yeah. All right. Thanks a lot. We appreciate it, Alex. Thanks for calling. Thank you, guys. M1 Chris from Oceanside. He has a haiku for Woods. Oh, boy. Hey, what's up, you guys? First, I just want to say I've missed the show the past three days on Mammoth with my dad fishing. It was the toughest three days of my life. I'll have to catch up on the podcast. Atta boy. But, yeah, Woods, you know, I was fishing. I thought of a little haiku for you. Let's hear it. The kid lives in Zen. No more recruiting for losers. Mike found him a job. Very good. Love it.
Very nice. Thank God for that. Love you too, pal. What about us? Ladies and gentlemen, lovely and talented. Hillary is up next. The Mikey Show will return tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. Lincoln Financial Radio Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
