Friday June 11, 2010
The San Diego County Fair opens today and Woods is all in on the food unless it’s named hummus. The 16 year old girl lost at sea is finally found. What was Obese Mikey up to at age 16? Soccer talk is a short talk. Bark Maumann’s visit to Mikey’s house makes Mike a nervous wreck. Big changes are coming to college football and USC embarrasses OJ. Secret parents’ stashes around the house reveal Jay’s tactics. Lauren lifted her dad’s Peach Brandy from his liquor stash and took it to a party. Mikey’s trainer makes Jillian Michaels look like Richard Simmons. MIDI madness enrages Eskimo Bluewaters when they use her song without permission. If you have a certain area of expertise, do your friends try to take advantage of it? Woodsy tried to bribe Jay into doing his edits early on. Generic versus Name Brands debate follows, and The Kid doesn’t skimp on toilet paper. Jay hosted a work meeting at his house where Mikey had B.O. Neither Jay nor Lauren wears regular deodorant and an armpit sniffing session ensues! Weird state laws are too funny to be true, but they really are. Bro email; dude is concerned over his 36 year old buddy who started wearing skinny jeans. Can a week go by without Woodsy showing everyone his belly or mention his piece? The cast pressures Mikey into agreeing to wear purple skinny jeans. Sienna reports on the incredible story about a young guy who snuck on an airliner and spent the flight in the wheel well. All agree the new movies sound worse than they look. Sienna has a mouse in her house that makes Mikey scream like a girl! Big Ben blames the bright lights, big city (of Pittsburg, BTW) for making a humble country boy into an ass-grabber and alleged rapist. Jay’s buddy has a complicated work dilemma. Woods had to get a nose job after some punks busted his face. LOB talks about having bags of pudding in her bra and Obese Mikey needs to know what flavor. Movie mistakes that were never edited out are next, then creepy Disney animators who sneak in sexual stuff intentionally. LOB can’t get enough chili, and by chili I mean firemen. Mikey changes up his delivery of his testimony.

The program concluded with Mikey’s personal testimony about hitting rock bottom with addiction and finding hope through faith.

KBZT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of the Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Mikey Show on a Friday with a live studio. Welcome to Friday. June Gloom is in full effect, man. You can see it out there, right? It's all soupy. Bauman asked me last night why I moved to Portland. Yeah, I know it, right? For Edward Cullen, obviously. Yeah, you figure Edward Cullen's gonna come. walking out of the mall in a second. Edward Cullen, I saw him last night and he goes, dude, this place is gloomy. This place sucks, man. It's so true. It's perfect for him. Listen, June, this is June, man. We know it. Every year? Every year. I feel like it's exceptionally bad this year. It is. I feel like Mikey made it up and that nobody else ever agrees with him. So every day I'm like...
Is he pulling my leg? What, June Gloom? Yeah. Oh, it's for real. It's a real bit. May gray, June gloom. Yeah. Perfect. May gray, June gloom. Now, July, August, September, the rest of the year. September is like the most gorgeous. Really? Yeah, so hot, sunny. Oh, I can't wait. It's awesome. It's perfect though. Yeah. So, and there's a lot of stuff going on. First of all, let me introduce everybody on the show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Woodsy is our sports guy. Lauren's our assistant producer. Our news girl is Sienna, and Jay is our producer. And the M1 Nation is present and in the studio with us right now and listening in their cars. If you are an M1, it means you're a Mikey Show listener. When you call into the show, you turn your radio down, get to the point, don't cuss, and you're making new M1s. You're telling people about the Mikey Show, turning new people on to the Mikey Show, and that's what it means to be an M1. The fair begins today. Yay! So exciting!
It's cool. Yes, the gates open at 11 a.m. today. And so you know, it's open until the 5th of July. And closed most Mondays, so don't plan on going Mondays. But admissions, $13 for adults, $7 for seniors, $7 for kids that are 6 to 12, and free for kids that are under 5. And this year's theme is Taste the Fun. We've tasted a lot of fun over there earlier this week. Yeah. Tasted it real good. Deep fried Klondike bars and Oreos. Phenomenal. And you know what was the trip to me? If you go to a Mexican restaurant, you order fried ice cream. What it really is is it's ice cream that they just roll around in like cornflakes. Yeah. So it's not really fried. It's not fried. But what they do at the fair is they actually fry the stuff. They do. He has to keep it. What did he say? Negative 20. Yeah. Minus 20 degree freezer. He takes a Klondike bar out of a minus 20 degree freezer. That's right. Rolls it around in batter, sticks it in oil, and then takes it out. Tastes delicious. It was delicious. Absolutely. Really, really good for you, too. Yeah. Amazing for you. It's fat-free. Yeah, fat-free. There's some really, I mean, they have healthier things at that one. It was Chicken Charlie's stand. Uh-huh. The grilled chicken kebabs. Hummus. Oh, hummus. The hummus was great. What's that salad? Tabbouleh? Tabbouleh? Yeah. That was delicious. Didn't have any? That was really good. He makes it all fresh. Like, you think you're at a restaurant. It's not fair food. It's so good. Can we talk about that?
Woodsy and tabbouleh. How many times does that guy offer me tabbouleh? 55. I don't want any. It's his signature item and you wouldn't try it. It sounds like Indian food to me. And I'm out. As you all well know. It's the same deal with hummus. Oh, hummus. He goes, hey guys, I made this hummus fresh. I make it every day, blah, blah, blah. And Woodsy goes, I don't want any of that. You know that. And I go, come on, Woodsy, try it. And he goes, no, I'm not going to try it. And I go... I go, have you ever tried it? He goes, yeah, I don't like it. I go, he's never tried it. And so Charlie's standing there and Charlie goes, offers again. And I go, he's never had it. And Woods goes, I've had it. Yeah, this went on and on. Everybody that would walk up, I'd go, hi, how you doing? He's never had hummus. He goes, yes, I have, yes, I have, yes, I have. It was so good. I told that guy, Charlie, who owns that stand, I loved him like five times. I love you. He's like, okay, chill out. I'll be honest with you. I've never tried it. But I will tell you something else. I had a girlfriend in college that used to eat it on pita chips. And I made the mistake one time of kissing her after she ate it on a pita chip. And ever since, I've been like, wow, that tastes like feet. I can't do that. It's pretty stinky. Yeah.
It is not. It's delicious. Of course it is. Here's the thing. Weird that you like it, L.O.B. Hey, I was proud of L.O.B., by the way. You know, she is, you know, her and Jay are really, really, like, health conscious in terms of what they eat. And so I thought that it was pretty cool that L.O.B. was trying some stuff out, you know? She feasted out there. She really liked it. And she had a lot to eat. Okay. Yeah. I did not. The only thing I didn't have was the deep fried butter. Boy, I did. Couldn't it? Boy, I had it. It was a revelation. It was a revelation. It was a revelation. There was two sticks of it. I had a bite and shared with Jay. Woods was like, sorry, guys. It's all mine. This is all me. It's not what people think. I know you're picturing like a pad of butter or a big long stick of butter that's been fried. That's not what it is. What it is is it's a cigar-sized sort of cannoli-looking deal. And it's got whipped cream on top of it. Cinnamon. Cinnamon. Sugar. And powdered sugar. And the inside of it has melted butter. Injected. Injected. Injected inside. Injected. It's a mess. Yeah, but man, it looked real good. You took a bite and dripped down your face. Yeah, I did. It was all over my beard. Fantastic. It's like eating salad. You can call us if you want to. 570-1949 is our number. And if you want to text us, you can do that. 949-MIKEY at Gmail.
That's the way that you text us. Some of the things that are going on today are... The Abby Sunderland story, which is pretty cool. It's really cool. I'm sure you saw yesterday. Everyone was panicking trying to find her. This is a 16-year-old girl who is trying to be the youngest person to sail around the world by herself. And she left months ago. She's from California, Thousand Oaks, California. And about 24 hours ago, she made a phone call to her. Or not a phone call, like a special. Beacon. A beacon. Morse code? Yeah. To her family and said, you know, basically, look, I'm in trouble. The sail was dragging in the water. The satellite phone reception was really bad. The boat's mast was broken. And she was like out of path in the Indian Ocean. And people didn't know exactly where she was. The waves were huge. Lost at sea. Yeah, lost at sea. She was describing the waves as three feet or three stories, like a three story building. Oh, my God.
Yeah, and this poor 16-year-old girl, you know, by herself. She can't call out. Like, the reception's awful. Yeah, and no one knew where she was, but they found her. Thank goodness. They found her, yes, 16 years old. I mean, I can't imagine doing that. You're a junior in high school. I can do it now, no chance. Why didn't she just update her Facebook and tell everybody where she was? I know, yeah. Hey, obese Mikey, what were you doing at 16? I was feasting on Big Macs. And Whopper Juniors. You weren't sailing around the world? Whopper Juniors, let's be honest here. Okay, it was Whoppers. Regular sized Whoppers. Okay. You weren't sailing around the world? And Whoppers the candy. I was not sailing around the world. But, I mean, imagine her family, like, getting a bad connection of her, like, help. You know, I need help. Oh, what a nightmare. And then they had 20 hours of silence. Like, all last night on the news, people were like, they're looking for her, they're looking for her, and they found her. Early this morning and she's fine. She's doing fine. Thank God. Yeah. It was the top story, one of the top stories on SportsCenter last night. Really? And I was watching just going, please find her. Yeah. Because of the sailing aspect, right? Yeah. It's a sport. The sailing aspect. It's a sport. And because at first I was like, ESPN. Yeah. Now it makes sense. We're going to be talking about the Chargers and the Padres in a little bit. Somebody is very excited.
M1 HB from Rancho Bernardo. Are you there? I am. Good morning, you guys. Good morning. I wanted to remind everyone that in an hour, well, just actually a little bit more, the World Cup starts. Oh, that's right. The World Cup. Who are you pulling for? U.S. Well, U.S., of course, but today's game is pulling for South Africa. They're playing South Africa and Mexico. You're not going for Mikey's Mexico? I can't. Are you kidding? I'm not kidding. Viva la Mexico! Really? Really? Mikey's so excited. He has his Mexico jersey on today. That's not true. I don't have my Mexico jersey on. This little World Cup Mexico scarf. I don't. You do have that sombrero on, though. The sombrero. That's like every day. He brought cookies with little Mexican flags in all of them. He's so excited. I am riding a burro. He's feasting on horchata. To be fair. Yes, to be fair. To be fair. To be fair, I am sitting on a burrow wearing a siropa. With guacamole hanging off your beard. Like a piñata. Yes. To be fair, I'm swinging from a piñata. Well, thank you, HB. You're welcome. Have a good weekend, you guys. Bye. Yeah, the World Cup. Soccer, which is important to everybody in the world.
Except the United States, right? Yeah, pretty much. It's not as big here. I know. And by not as big, I mean it's not really big at all, you know? It's big. I would say it's big, and that's it. It's the fastest growing sport in the U.S. It's big, but it's not that big. Does that make sense? Yeah. Does that make sense? Yeah. Like, there are people here that are rabid. for it, and I mean rabbit. One of them happens to be sleeping at my house tonight. Yeah, well, here's the deal. The deal is that they don't put it on television here on a regular basis, and the reason that they don't is because it's just not going to pull the ratings like the other shows. Nobody watches it. Yeah. It's no Super Bowl. And that's a deal. I mean, if it was really popular and a lot of people were going to watch it, they would make money by putting it on TV. I'll tell you, speaking of the Super Bowl, I have a house guest. His name is Mark Malman. And he goes, hey, dude, I just want to tell you, you need to tell Mikey in the morning that $1.5 billion will be gambled on this World Cup as opposed to $52 million on the Super Bowl, pal. Oh, really? Sure, it's true. He's fully ready to debate you. Yeah, you know why, though, Mark? Because Chileans don't bet on the Super Bowl. Because Chileans aren't really taking the Patriots. That's why. We have the whole world involved in this one. Yeah.
Because Venezuela's not giving up points on the Colts. There's no spread in Argentina. No. That's why. He brought me, he brought me. Can't wait. An ESPN magazine that is this thick about World Cup. He goes, well, here you go, dude. Show prep for tomorrow. And I go, great. Threw it away. I know it. M1 Maiden fan from Oceanside. Maiden fan, are you there? I'm Mikey. What's going on, dude? He's there, all right. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm playing Team Mexico right now. I'm obviously U.S. first, but as Woodsy said, I have to represent, so I'll play a little Mexican music in the background. Perfect. You just call it music. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just call it music because I'm Mexican. So, Maiden fan, where are you going to watch it? I'm going to a small little pub in La Mesa. There you go.
Just to hang out with some really close friends. There you go. Enjoy the match. Hey, right now, Mexico, Spain, and Brazil are the ones playing the prettiest soccer on the earth. So I'm U.S. all the way, but my father's from Mexico. So, you know, I'm a 50-50 bar there, man. It's good. Maiden fan, let me ask you. Let me ask you about this because I know that you, even when I was at the other station, I remember that you would call. You loved. The soccer and the whole deal. So let me ask you, has it been a while since the U.S. was in this thing? We were there four years ago. We had a horrible World Cup. Okay. And so we're back in it, which is great news. And I will follow it. I will watch it because the U.S. is there. You know, that's when I get interested. Maiden fan, you know what time the game is tomorrow? Is it 1130? Tomorrow is 11.30. 11.30, U.S. against England. All right, well, thanks, man. Thank you, Maiden fan. Guess what? Phone lines just completely died. They did. Blackout. Yeah, Jay's going to come in, and he knows how to reset it now. I think it just popped back on. The last World Cup that there was, I was in Montreal for business, and I guess...
Something to do with the laws there. All the stores have to close at 5 o'clock, and it started raining, and all I brought was summer clothes because it was summer, and I had to get a jacket. So for some reason, the Foot Locker, because they sold sporting goods, they could still sell stuff. So I went and got the first thing that I could, and I got an Argentina jacket. Yeah. Well, I didn't really know what was going on. I walked into a pub, and I was wearing the Argentina jacket. There was, like, all these, like, Argentinians? Yeah. And they were like, yeah! when I walked in because they had just won the game. Yeah, and they were like trying to lift me up. She's like, I love being blonde. Yes, blonde. I was like, blonde, wearing the jacket, like one of the only females in the bar. They bought me a beer, but yeah, they were like trying to lift me up under my armpits. I was like, no, no. What grade is that? That was awesome. That's awesome. So yesterday, as Woodsy was saying, yesterday, Our friend Mark came into town, right? From Dallas. Bark. Bark Maumann. Yeah. And came into town from Dallas. And Woods, how mortified was I? Oh, Mikey. Yesterday. You can't, though. So let me walk you through this. Oh, boy. Haven't seen Bark Maumann in years. Excited to see him.
Lots happened since he was last here. I've got three children where I didn't have three children before. That's how long it's been. It's been a while. And so Wood says, hey, would it be okay if me and Jamie and Bark stopped by your place on our way to dinner? And I say, what time? He says, I don't know, 5, 530? Instantly in my head. Terror. Instantly. Why? Because that's nude laptop time. Nude laptop at slash dinner time. No. It's dinner. The kids are there. You have to plan. Dinner. Kids are there. That's not the part that worries me. Oh, no. The part that worries me is that I know that sometimes around dinner time, when the twins are hungry, they stir it up. Okay. They stir it up. Real good. They stir it up real good. Okay. And I... In my head, just have this really cool picture of Bark Malman coming over, seeing our beautiful children smiling with their little pearly whites twinkling as they smile. That's what I want. You can't picture that with babies. That's all I want. I know it, but I'm still allowed to dream. And so that's what I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming that he comes over and he goes, wow, Mike, this is a beautiful home.
What beautiful children you have. They're so well behaved. And that he says to himself, I can't wait until I've got a beautiful wife and beautiful children like this so I can experience what it's like to have these beautiful children like this. I thought you knew him. Is that what he sounds like, Woods? So, go over, or right before they come over, Jake and I are... playing in a separate room. Jake's wearing clothes? Yes. Both are clothes. I said, because Jake was walking around in a t-shirt and a dipe, and I said, babe, babe, babe, babe, babe, which is on his way, he just said, and the eagle has left the building and will be here in like three minutes. Where's Jake's shorts? So I'm putting shorts on Jake. And Lukey starts to wind it up. Of course he does. Of course. Trying to find cigarettes. Yeah. And Lukey is one of our 10-month-old twins. He's the one with the attitude, and he's also the one that his cry is so ear-piercing. And let me tell you, he will be the guy that will grow up to go, Goal! at the soccer games because he's so loud. He's got a little bullhorn. Yep.
That's how I was. Built into his throat. You were like that too? I was called baby pterodactyl mouth. Yeah. That's it? I would just scream. Not because I was sad, just to hear myself scream. Well, I've said about Lukey is that Lukey's form of communication is through wailing. He wails as a form of communication. Meanwhile, Ryan, or his brother, couldn't be more chill. Just chilled out. And so I'm just... I'm so anxious as Woods and Bark Malman are coming over because Luke is, he has lifted off. Rebecca's like, come on, Luke, you can do it. It's okay. He's in full orbit. Where's the binky? Yeah. And I'm like, oh my gosh, please, please stop the crying. Please stop the crying. And so finally, Rebecca gets him to stop. She gives him something to eat. He's stopped crying. And I'm like, We avoided a big one there. And Lukey, or excuse me, Jake, my three-year-old, he says, Jake's perfectly calm. And Jake says, why is Jake or why is Lukey crying? And I say to Jake, well, he's hungry, bub. And Jake's like, okay, great. Thank you. I can live with that. Yeah, appreciate it. Oh, no. Oh, no. So everything's calm. Everything's perfectly calm.
There's always a calm before the storm, you know. And Jake had said, Jake loves Woods like you would not believe. I mean, he loves Woods. And so when he heard that Woods was coming, he got up and ran to the door. And I said, and I said, Bub, I said, you can't just stand at the door. You got to wait till they get here because he wanted to wait. He wanted to wait for Woods. That's the cutest. It's sweet. And I said, Bub, you don't wait. You got to wait till the door knocks and then you can. Answer the door. So he steps away from the door, comes back and hangs with us, and Woods knocks on the door. So Jake dashes to the door. Beeline. Beeline. Opens the door up. Woods, Woods, Uncle Woods. He's so happy to see Uncle Woods. He's in Woods' arms. Bauman walks in. We go into the kitchen, and Bauman gets to see the sweetest boys ever. Yep. Little twinkle. Everything's great. Everything was how you wanted it? Everything was perfect. Like a white halo? Yeah. Wow. Exactly the way that I wanted it for approximately 35 seconds. Yeah, it's usually how that works. And I said to Jamie, Woods' wife, I said, wow, if you would have been here just three minutes ago, it was a completely different scene. Yeah. And she said, really? And I said, yeah. Luke, he was in full orbit.
And I said to Bauman, I said, man, I'll tell you, our boy Lukey, he's really got this different kind of cry, blah, blah, blah. It was almost like on cue. Yeah. He starts to cry. Only when he starts to cry this time, it upsets Jake. Oh, no. Bad. And Jake, tears are popping out of his eyes. He's screaming, crying. It went from, and it was this fast. Whee! Whee! Like that. And Jake was so upset. And I was like, oh, yeah, it was. He was so upset that his little brother was crying. Yeah. And so I picked Jacob. Jake's my arms are covered in tears. He's crying so hard. Maybe he's hungry and he thinks, well, the tears. Luke cried because he was hungry. I don't know. He was. He looked at him. He looked at him, looked at Mike and started crying. Yeah. And so. I said, you know, it was like, all right, guys. Well, you know, thanks for stopping by. We were there for a minute and 15 seconds. I'm not kidding. Yeah. We were like, hey, we'll see you tomorrow. It was a full on meltdown. We were mortified, by the way, mortified that we like did that. Mikey was mortified. That's what I said. Babies, you can't predict. I know. You just can't. Yeah, I know. It's just one of those deals where before.
Before I had kids, that kind of stuff would make me really uncomfortable. No way. I'm sorry. I'm just telling you the truth. It did. It made me uncomfortable. So I thought, oh my gosh, Baumann must be flipping out. No, he knows. He's seen babies before, I'm sure. I guess so. Don't. It's okay. Freaked him out. Lauren's picking the music today. A little STP. How about some Vaseline? And guess what? You know that all these suspensions have gone down with USC. You know that they have had all these things stripped from them. They're being disciplined. And Woodsy made the comment yesterday, it looks like Pete Carroll got out of USC just in time. Weird. Well, Pete Carroll has responded to all the USC allegations and everything that's coming down against USC. And Woodsy has the audio next in Woods on Sports. Mikey show now. I'm ready.

Smashing Pumpkins. The song is called Today. So I say we get right into it. I want to hear about it right away. What's going on with Pete Carroll and the USC program. He has now left. Gone to take over the job of the Seahawks. I'm going to give you what you wanted, Mike. I'm going to give you the Pete Carroll audio.
Just going to have to hang on for a minute. You got it. Because those nasty Boston Celtics, they evened the series last night with the Lakers. Oh, wow. 96-89 they won. Yeah, boo. The Celtics bench really came through last night. They rested most of their starters in the fourth quarter. Here are two of those super subs, Nate Robinson, Glenn Davis, sharing a post-game interview. Cut one. I was really looking at the clock like, when is he going to come get me? I was saying the same thing. I'm looking like we are really in the game. I was like, we playing. But, like, you know, timeout go by. You know, he don't sub. I was like, man, he's letting us roll. So, you know, I was. It was fun. You know, I want to give Doc a hug, man. Isn't that great? I love it. So appreciate it. I told my husband after we watched the game because he's a huge Lakers fan. I was like, well, don't worry. It's two and two. Now this is like a really, it's a good match now. And he's like, no, I don't care. You know, when I was watching the World Series last year, people were saying the same to me. And I was like, no, I want four wins in a row and I want it to be done. So we move on to next year. Right. But the series is tied two to two. And the crucial game five is on Sunday in Boston. Also, the Padres had a great afternoon yesterday, followed by a not so great evening. They beat Johan Santana.
In the first game, they won 4-2. They got a guy, the Padres do. They got this kid in the bullpen, Mike. And his name is Luke Gregerson. He's filthy. He has gone 100 batters in a row without walking one. Are you serious? It's ridiculous. It's a franchise record. That's incredible. It's just incredible control. They know when they go to Gregerson in the 7th, 8th, he's going to shut them down. He's struck out seven guys in a row now. Oh, my gosh. He's looking filthy. So then they get to their three-hour break. Then they go to game two, and they get one hit. Really? One hit the whole second game. They did turn a triple play, though, which was pretty cool. But then they had to finish up the game, get on a plane, fly from New York to San Diego. I think they got in at 5 o'clock this morning, and then they got to be at the ballpark tonight to play the Mariners. So you just, I'm guessing as a ball player, you go home, you get right in bed. Yeah. And you probably have to report. I mean, I wonder what time they got to be there. Let's see. For like a... For like 7.05 start, you're probably at the ballpark at 4 o'clock. Yeah, I would think so. Yeah, so they're all probably dead asleep right now. Or listen to the Mikey show, one of the two. Yeah. Yeah, maybe both. Watching the World Cup. Yeah, maybe watching the World Cup. Also, speaking of the World Cup, is anybody here a soccer fan? Yeah. Is anybody here in the room a soccer fan? No one is. Crickets. Yeah, basically. Well, I'm going to tell you what I know. I'm a fan. I'm just, I don't watch it. Follow it. Yeah, follow it. I'm going to tell you what I know about the World Cup. Yeah. You ready? Yeah.
Team USA is taking on England tomorrow. Oh, wow. Oh, my goodness. It's in South Africa. You know that. Yeah, it's in South Africa. All right. And I know that Landon Donovan plays for the U.S. There you go. There you go. That's Woods' World Cup report. Hopefully your friend, Bark Malman, heard that and is satiated. Oh, he should be. Yeah. It's a brilliant report. Because he's been beating you up. For weeks. On the phone. Every night. Yeah. Are you going to talk about the World Cup? Are you going to talk about the World Cup? Every night. Yeah. That's what I know. Oh, in Mexico, Mikey's homeland plays this morning. Thank you. Also, there is a lot, a lot going on in college football. A lot of conferences are disbanding or shrinking or expanding. I don't want to get too crazy. There's a lot of rumor and speculation. As you guys know, I'm a super objective sports reporter. There's no bias towards favorite teams or players ever. Like the Yankees. However, I can tell you.
For a fact, the University of Colorado is joining the Pac-10. So now the Pac-10 has 11 teams. All right. I will tell you this. You hate the Pac-10. Yeah. Do you like the Big Ten? Maybe. Kind of. I mean, Notre Dame plays a lot of the Big Ten teams. So if they were to join a conference, that would make the most sense. They're not in a conference? No. They're independent. You know that. It looks like the Big 12 is going to dissolve, which is going to be crazy. They're talking about super conferences, all kinds of stuff. I'll report more when there's more facts to report because there's just a lot of speculation. Cash. Money. Cash, exposure, bowl games, all kinds of different reasons. Finally, Reggie Bush and Pete Carroll have released statements regarding the stiff penalties handed down on the USC Trojan football program. Here is Pete Carroll responding to the allegations. Cut one. I'm absolutely shocked and disappointed at the findings of the NCAA. I never, ever thought it would come to this. Didn't you? After nine years of working at the university and going through all of the challenges and the accomplishments that all of the people took part in, I'm extremely disappointed that we have to deal with this right now. I believe him, Woodsy. Mikey? No, no. Mikey? Oh, no. Listen, I have a B. I got a B. Such a domer. No, it doesn't matter that I'm a domer. I got a B and a bone to pick with you. If this were Notre Dame we were talking about right now. I would be like, hey, they screwed up. They screwed up. What's your bit? What? Rule following.
Follow the rules. You don't get in trouble. Yeah, yeah. In fact, you said it best yesterday on your Facebook. You said, you know who doesn't get bowl games stripped from them? And scholarships lost. You're right. Yeah. You're right. You know who that doesn't happen to? No, but it wasn't this one individual. What? No. Absolutely not. It was O.J. Mayo for the basketball team. It was Reggie Bush for the football team. Dude, it was a corrupt, corrupt scene. Hey, don't look at this O.J. with the USC. I didn't do any of that when I played for SC. You're their favorite. alum, by the way. You know what always bothers me? As I was watching this on ESPN yesterday, they read Reggie Bush's statement that he released, and it sounded nothing like something Reggie Bush would say. I'm like, okay, I've never heard you talk like that one time. It was your attorney that wrote it. And you know, the funny thing is he still denies it. So the NCAA is going to be like, they're going to go off half-cock and just suspend them and do all this stuff. Without proof, Reggie? Really? They're just going to do it without proof and evidence that they've been working on for a year, two years? Here's Leno on it. I had an odd thing happen this morning. I go to have a bowl of cereal, open the cupboard, no bowls. Open the dishwasher, no bowls. I felt like the USC football team. Today, the NCAA banned the USC football team from playing in any bowl games for two years because of rule violations back in 2005. A two-year ban, you know what that means?
A lot of USC players may actually have to start going to class now. Even OJ's trying to distance himself from USC. You know, they're in a little bit of trouble. Too bad. Let's see. Is that it, Woodsy? Yeah, that's it, buddy. Hey. What's the deal with the smart underwear? This is funny. It's right out of San Diego. A team of U.S. scientists have designed some new men's briefs, guys. So you may want to pick up a pair of these. They have them in maroon, Mikey. So you're all good. Really? Yeah, you're all good. Really? You're all good, dude. Mike likes his maroon underwear. I have one. Listen. I have one pair. One too many. I have one pair. Of maroon, I'm throwing them out. Maroon man panties. They're not man panties. They are man panties. Well, okay. To be fair, they're called manties. Manties. They're boxer briefs. Good. They're boxer briefs. They're fine. Thank you. Okay. Well, these new... What do you wear, Woodsy? Do you wear boxers? Boxers. You know that. Or commando. I used to wear boxers. I don't like boxers. I like boxer briefs. You do? Yeah. Yeah, me too. They ride up my leg. Oh, man.
Now everybody's calling in to support Woodsy on the SC thing. Weird. 5701949. So these new men's briefs, they say they're comfortable, they're durable, they're stylish, come in maroon. And unlike most underpants, these ones can save your life. Okay, printed on the waistband, which always has constant contact with the skin, the waistband, there's an electronic biosensor. Now, it's designed to measure blood pressure, heart rate, and other vital signs. Wow. Yeah. But what are you going to do? Only $70,000 a pair. Yeah. Well, right now the project is being funded by the U.S. military and American troops will likely be the first recipients to try this out. So let's say it says I have high blood pressure. What am I supposed to do at that moment? Go to the doctor. Go to the doctor right then? Take an aspirin. I walk into urgent care. My panties are blowing up. I need your help. Well, it says ultimately the biosensor that detects any injury will also be able to direct the release of drugs to relieve pain and even treat the wound. Do I need to have that complicated pair of underwear? I think it's not necessarily for citizens. I think it's probably more geared towards that. Soldiers, but also they talk about athletes, professional athletes. I want them. An NFL player.
They can monitor them. That's pretty cool. I don't think it's just for the average Joe Schmo. Like me, I would load my tums in there. And it would release my snuff. Vicodin, maybe. Right in. So, how you doing, Woodsy, on your tummy? It's good. And by the way, can everybody remind me to never use the word tummy again? I was just thinking, are you talking to Jake or talking to a grown man? My belly, like my... My heartburn? Uh-huh. I'm good. Yeah. I'm good. I still get it, but I have these homeopathic remedies. I've turned into J. Yeah. Did you lose sleep over it, Mike? Well, I get what you're saying. He's worried about the kid. Yeah, I'm worried about the kid. For your bro? Yeah, that's right. He would worry about you, too. I would. We're all worried about you, by the way. That's right. I love you. Who's not? A little out of control. How are those, the new medicine, though? Because I remember you saying it. Tastes like sugar. Delicious. I'm taking Prevacid. Oh, yeah? Yeah, over-the-counter thing. Maybe Prevacid? No, Prevacid. Is it Prevacid? No, I don't think it is. I think it's Prevacid. Have you been calling it Prevacid? I think so. Thank you. Prevacid. I'm here at the drugstore because I've got to get some Prevacid. My stomach is hurting so bad that if I don't get some Prevacid in my system right away, it may get bad. Yeah, so I'm taking the Prevacid and my stomach still hurts. What kind of hurt? Oh, man.
But see, I've got... Cramps? Yeah, I've got some stomach issues. Yeah, I'm going to get some minor. But anything that persists, you can't just take stuff for it. He texted me the other day. He goes, boots need some tums. Little boots need some tums. It's the truth. It's the truth. So, this was something funny that I came across the other day. I can't remember if I saw this on... on Facebook or whatever. And I know that Woodsy and I had talked about it one time. It's a deal about, is there stuff that you will hide in a secret hiding place so that your family doesn't eat it or get to it or whatever? Of course. You have your secret hiding place. Of course. You do? When I finally found penguins, don't think I'm going to be lying, leaving those lying around the house. Yeah. Did your family ever do that when you were growing up, Lauren? Yeah, my mom did. She had all over the house. It was like different types of stashes. So that you guys wouldn't get your greedy little hands on her. Yeah, and then she would say, who got into my stash? Yeah. It's so funny because it happens. The reason that it happens is because obviously our parents say, listen, I want to be able to eat these Oreos. When I want them. When I want them. My dad, growing up, my dad would go.
All I want is Cheez-Its. I just want to be able to have my Cheez-Its. Well, when you have boys, like kids growing up in the house, as soon as you get it in the house, gone. Obese Mikey running around. I only had four. Really? That's the problem with those things like Cheez-Its. They taste so good you can't stop eating. And they don't fill you up. It's just for the taste. My trick is I will find a snack that's not that delicious, but the kids won't eat it. So I'm like, okay, I'll eat this. Like what? Edamame? Edamame. Yeah, edamame. No, the kids will eat my edamame if I leave it out too long. But there's like praline. pecan ice cream. It's like an old people's ice cream. Ooh, butter and maple walnuts. They won't eat it. So it's like, hey, there's ice cream in the house when I want it. Jay, when we were at your house, I have to call you out. Mike's like, I need something sweet. And Jay goes, ooh, I have just a thing. He goes running in the kitchen and comes back with two enormous bags of candy. I thought it was Halloween. And he said, yeah, my wife Kim doesn't even know about this. She does now. That is such an old man's ice cream, Jay.
You kids are like, what the hell is a praline? How did your kids not know about the Halloween candy? It's hidden. It's in a drawer where candy should not be kept. It's like under wires. It wasn't Halloween. It was from a road trip or something. If it was Halloween, I would have been a little iffy to eat it. It was a road trip that I just did. It took a bunch of people. I can leave the regular Oreos in our pantry and they'll stay there for four years. If I leave the golden... Oreos, the ones that have them. Oh, they're so good. They're gone. They're done. What are the golden Oreos? Vanilla. Yeah, vanilla. I think that's a giant thing. Yeah, they're Oreo, but instead of chocolate, you know, it's vanilla. It's vanilla. Never knew those existed. They're good. They're not good. Let me tell you guys about M1 Hawk. Your dad. Oh. Do you know that for the first half of our lives, my dad had told us that he was allergic to chocolate? Do you know why my dad told us he was allergic to chocolate? So he has convinced himself that he was allergic so he wouldn't overindulge. I swear on my mother. When did he tell you that? When we were little kids. I know, but when did he finally come clean on the topic? Well, here's the deal. Years have gone by, and I remember I found a gym bag, and it had this bag of Butterfingers in it. And I'm like, it's his gym bag. I'm like, why does he have, if he's allergic to chocolate. I'm like, that's weird.
Literally like maybe five years ago, he's like, well, as you guys know, I'm not really allergic to chocolate. He convinced himself that he was allergic so he wouldn't eat it. Wow. No way. Another brick falls, pal. Was there anything else? Was that all that he did? Oh, no. What would he hide from you? He had in our garage, my dad was a big golfer, still is really great, but doesn't play as much. But he had a big, you know, white storage bin that was filled with. Golf gloves, golf shoes, golf balls. He had a padlock, chain and padlock on it. So my brother and I wouldn't get in there and steal his golf balls and his golf gloves and his putters. Which obviously must have, that lock wasn't there forever. He put it on there. He put it on there. Because why? What would you guys get? Well, I don't ever recall a day where I was like, all right, I'm going in. To my brother. And I, like, go in and steal a bunch of golf balls. Like, I don't care. I've played golf 40 times my whole life. Right. And so my brother, maybe. My brother, maybe. Because he was a little bit more of a golfer. But he used to padlock this thing shut, dude, so you couldn't get it. Also, he used to hide Little Debbie's under his bed. Little Debbie's apple treats. And it would be under his bed. Yeah. Grown man. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Do you hide stuff? Because you just.
You know it's gone if you don't. See, my parents had the disgusting liquor cabinet. Like, growing up, my dad drank beer and my mom didn't really drink, so they had what I thought was going to be like this wall when you opened it. And when I was in high school, which I do not advocate, I broke into the... the liquor closet and it was like disgusting like peach brandy and like all this gross stuff but I was like oh yeah and I I brought it to a party and I tried to pretend that like an older boy bought it for me and they were like wait so you had everything you could want and you got peach brandy yeah Yeah. You mean you stole that from your parents? They sell peach brands. You're not going to go shoulder tap some dude for peach branding. Can you make this ride for me? I got 20 bucks. I need a bottle of peach branding. I need it right now. Disgusting. I'm fiending. Oh, disgusting. Yeah, I walked up to a guy and asked for 75-year-old scotch. Did you? Yeah. Did you really? Yeah. Oh, wow. 570-1949. Anybody in the studio, you guys hide anything or did you guys have anything hidden from you? Who's got one? My mom used to hide stuff all around. What would she hide? Chocolate.
Yeah. It's always a candy. Oh, yeah. You can't keep it. Dr. Pepper? Dr. Pepper's. Dr. Pepper's. You would drink them? I'd hide them from myself. You'd hide them from you? That's great. I have to do that stuff, too. I used to hide dirty magazines and stuff in my house. From yourself here? From my parents. Well, that's normal. Is that normal? Totally. Where's your hiding spot? Under my mattress. In between the mattress and the box. That's every guy's hiding spot. I know that spot. Jay? Jasper does a silly thing. Kim will buy a box of popsicles. Jasper now, he'll come in there and he'll take them all out and hide them throughout the freezer. Genius. And so we'll come and we'll look at the box and there's one left. And they're like, really? Somebody ate them all? And then every day you see Jasper, he's like, hey. He's brilliant. He is his father's son. Smart kid. Yeah, he is. Smart kid. M1 Brittany from San Diego. You there? Brittany, hi. Hi. What do you hide? I have a stack of Girl Scout cookies. Oh, yeah. What kind? I have a couple boxes of Thin Mints, some Tagalongs, Samoas. Samoas are my favorite. Sienna loves Tagalongs. Ooh, Tagalongs. Ooh, Tagalongs. How about you bring those up here? We make it right, and you come up here on a Friday and bring us some Girl Scout. Yeah, maybe bring a box of Tagalongs. Yeah. Maybe some Thin Mints. What's your hiding place? They're actually in a lingerie drawer in my bedroom. Who are you hiding them from?
My roommate. Ah, that's funny. In her lingerie drawer. She's got a separate drawer for all of her lingerie. Yeah, yeah. What a great drawer. No, it's like the delicates go in there. The unmentionables. The unmentionables. Yeah, it's called the unmentionables. You keep yo-yos in yours. Rainbow slinkies. And old cigarettes. I keep a yo-yo in my unmentionables drawer. Why? Because I don't want anyone to steal it. And by anyone, you mean mama. My roommate, yes. My roommate. Mama. Yes. Your mother. You sleep in a race car bed, too? It's a Ricky Rudd bed. Yes, I do. Ricky Rudd. Does that have the number painted on the side? Yes, the number. Well, it's a decal is what it is. What about the sheets? And it's called sponsors. He's got sponsors. You got your bed sponsored real good? I used to drive the Ricky Craven number 32 Tide car. I slept in it. And then Mama finally for Christmas got me the Ricky Rudd car. That's what I sleep in now. Nice. Wow. Well, thank you for the call. We appreciate that, Brittany. Happy Friday. Thank you. Thank you very much. M1 Robin from San Diego. Hi. Good morning. Robin. Hey. Go ahead. Well, my mom, she hides ice cream bars. She'll hide hoes throughout the freezer and teal boxes. How old are you, Robin? Coca-Cola, like, in the laundry room. Hello.
Yeah. Robin, how old are you? I am 24. You're 24? So I'm guessing you still live at home, right? No, I moved out. And she still hides it? Yeah. Wow. Man, she knows how you operate. Oh, yeah. I know. She knows how you operate. Thank you. 5701949 is our number. Steven Strasburg, right? Mm-hmm. Phenom. New pitcher for the Washington Nationals. Pitched for the... San Diego State Aztecs was on David Letterman last night doing the top 10 list. Steven Strasburg's top 10 list. Is there any chance that it's funny? No. Percentage? One. Four. I say two and a half. Yeah. What do you say, Sienna? I say 50. Wow. 50% chance? I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt. My goodness. A rookie athlete being funny? Some of the comedians aren't even funny. Yeah.
Make some noise in the studio. We've got people in here on Friday. M1 Nation representing in the studio. We'll be back with that. And we'll play Mitty Madness next. You can guess what these songs are after they're being played through a Casio. Call us right now, 570-1949 and play. You're listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Yes, sir. You ever been working out at the gym? Nope. Okay. I've been working out at the gym and, you know, you're pumping some kind of dumbbell or something. Uh-huh. Iron. You pump some kind of iron. You're like, this is going pretty good. And you look over, you see a guy that's like 75 doing double what you're doing. All the time, dude. All the time. He's got white hair. He's got on like a, some sort of lifting belt. A tank top. He's got like three times the amount of weight that you do. He looks over at you like you're a little turd. He's just pumping away. Yeah, yeah, all the time. When stuff like that happens, I like to tell myself, they must have been a trainer their entire life or something like that to make myself feel better as they're running faster than me on the trail. Or he takes HGH. Yeah. Is what I say. Yeah. You go, oh, that guy must be related to Jacqueline Lane or something. Yes, yes. I mean, something weird and crazy. Only he can do it. He was just juicing spinach or something.
Right before he got here. Did that happen to you? Yeah, yesterday. It's embarrassing, isn't it? Yeah, and I thought I was doing really great. And I look over, and this guy is like my dad's age. And he's like... Oh, yeah. And I'm like... There's nothing that makes you want to stop faster than seeing something like that. You're like, I got to get out of here. It's the worst. It's the absolute worst, and I was so proud of myself until I looked over. And your trainer is like a sadist. Oh, she just. She's like a sadist. Hey, let me tell you. She can work me out. She was, yesterday, no mercy. No mercy. She's like Cobra Kai dojo leader. That's what you want. You want her to be hard. Yeah. I wanted to feed me cheesecake while I'm laying on the bench is what I want. That would be a great trainer. There's not a play date. I wanted to feed me cheesecake. I wanted to feed me cheesecake because I lift weight. You can do that for free. Just have your wife come in the gym with you. That's true. That's true. All right. So we will, as soon as the Steven Strasburg top 10 list on David Letterman ceases to be funny, we'll stop playing it. Oh, buddy. Here's something. Here's something. The category tonight, top 10 little known facts about Steven Strasburg. Number 10.
To keep my focus on pitching, I sleep on a mound of dirt. Wow. He's dedicated. He is. He actually sleeps. Did you like that one? I'm trying. Did you like it? I'm trying, you know. Really? Someone needs to. Wow. Number nine. Every morning, I spread icy hot on my toast. That's actually all right. Oh, that makes my insides burn. Got three of my 14 strikeouts while twittering. Oh, yeah. That's terrible. I like his delivery on the curve a little bit better than this delivery. Absolutely. Number seven. To celebrate my first big league win, I bought a hot tub time machine. Wow. Stop. Number six. I wasn't really good until I got bitten by that radioactive spider. Oh, boy. Oh, really? Who writes this stuff? Those Letterman writers. I was like, that was bad. See, that's not his fault. Not his fault, but maybe he doesn't have to read it like this. His delivery wasn't the best. No. I think I could have done it better, Mikey. I do, too, TomTom, girl. I think you could have done it way better. That was pretty rough. You guys ready to do the Midi Madness game? Love Midi Madness. Yeah, I do, too. Let's see. What would we have to give away today? I think we may have a pair of Anarchy and Angel sunglasses to give away. I don't know. Can't throw a couple CDs in that. How about that? There we go.
570-1949. Let's play. Now, the way that MIDI Madness works is it sounds like a little Casio keyboard player. Keyboard. Kip Dynamite is how we like to explain it. It's the best way to explain it. Kip Dynamite. That's what Kip Dynamite would play. M1 Tony from Escondido. You there? Hey, good morning, Mikey Show. How you doing, bro? What's going on? Not too much. M1 Vanessa from Vista. You there? Yes, good morning. Good morning. All right, so here's how we play the game. I'm going to play the song, and you use your name as a buzzer. And if you get it incorrect, your opponent wins that round. Are you ready? Yes. All right, here we go. Let's play the first one. Vanessa. You remember me by Jewel? You got it! Excuse me. Yes, Eskimo Blue Water. That's copyrighted, and that's my song. You're saying that it's not a Jewel song. It's your song. That is I Was Meant For You. Well, wait a minute. The song's called You Were Meant For Me, so you're just changing it slightly. No, it's called I Was Meant For You. You're only slightly changing it. I wrote it like eight years ago. Really? With who? With my ex-boyfriend, Steve Moles. Why do you have to bring up Moles? All right, all right. Vanessa, hang on the line, okay? Sure. Hang on the line, and sorry about that, Tony. Better luck next time, bro. Eli from Carlsbad. You there?
I'm here. Good morning. Good morning, bro. Your opponent is Jason from San Diego. Jason, are you there? Yeah, good morning. Love your show. Thank you very much. All right. So we're going to do a couple with you guys. Again, use your name as a buzzer. Here we go. Eli. Lenny Kravitz. You go. That was huge. Very well done. That was great. I know. I got to hear more of it. I know. I have to hear more of it. Hang on, Eli. Play more. I know. Wow. Wow. How great is Mitty? Mitty's are the best. It's the best thing. The thing is, when they first came out, we were like, oh, my gosh. That's so revolutionary. Yeah. It's exactly it. Let's see. M1 Kevin from OB. Are you there? Yes, sir. All right, Kevin. You are going to be taking on Jason.
Jason, we're going to give you a second crack at this. All right, here we go. Here we go. Jason? Kevin, do you have any idea, Kevin? Yeah, correct. Very nice, Kevin. Kevin, hang on the line. I love Mini Madness. I do, too. Let's see. Want to hear another one that we didn't get to? You know that. Just because it's fun. Lauren. Sugar Ray. That is correct. Very well done. I'll give you another one. Here we go. Sienna. Sienna. The President of the United States of America. Wow. Peaches. You're going to eat me a lot of peaches. That's right. Okay, let's see. What do we got? Oh, this was great. Recap from Lauren today. Weird. This is so great. And people.
I want you, if you have this, call me at 5701949. If anybody here in the studio can relate to this, give me a call. Woods is all butthurt because you never read his recap. He said that the other day. And then Lauren goes, maybe you put something else on there besides you had chicken Kiev for dinner. I have nothing. All I do is put what I ate. Yeah. Woodsy's recap consists of, kid had some great chicken Kiev last time. Watch the Yankees? Watch the Yankees. I'm like. That's really nice, you know? Same thing every day. So the other day, Woodsy's like, hey, dude, you ever going to read something I read in that recap? Never. I haven't had a recap read on here since week one. Lauren's like, maybe put something else besides you bought Doritos at the grocery store. The kid bought some Doritos. You guys just roasted real good? I'm just going to roast it up. Kid got some snuff. It's the Chevron. It's awesome. Real good. You guys want to get in on this? Roast me up real good? So Lauren says that yesterday she asked one of her friends who is a nutritionist for some advice. Weird. Weird. She says she's been using her as her go-to for the past year. And whenever she has any questions on how to use homeopathic treatments, that kind of stuff, this is the girl that she goes to, right? She says, I think I trust her more than I trust my doctor. She says, sometime soon I'm going to actually have to look her.
Look, I'm going to actually have her look at my health history, get me on a specific diet. She says, I can't believe that I have never actually paid for her services. And it got her to thinking, oh, wait, people pay her good money for these services and she's giving it to me for free. I wonder if she ever gets annoyed. I wonder where the line is for pulling favors from your friends and actually exploiting their services. attorney friend, your plumber friend, your, which by the way, as I'm going down the list, I'm thinking of my friend, Black Mountain Plumbing, Scott, who I have gone. Hey, so Scott, I got this thing, you know, that's making this noise in the shower. It's like in the pipe and I don't really need anything again. Great. Your friend that's very computer savvy. Yeah. Maybe take a look. Yeah. Yep. Now these are all great jobs. It's just that you got that job. Your friends are going to constantly call you and they always, and I think in my head, I'm like, I know I'm the only guy that does this, so I'm sure he doesn't mind. Right, sure you are. Well, and the thing for me is, like, I feel like I'm providing comic relief all the time. Really? Really? Yeah. Is that it? It's like, I feel like it's a barter almost. Yeah, she gets to hang out with celebrities, so, of course, yeah. I do? No, she does. We're hanging out with you. You're like, she gets to roll with me. So here's what I want to know. Is there anybody listening that...
You can't get people to stop asking you, hey, can you come over? Anybody here in the studio, by the way? Yeah. What do you do, bro? I fix everything. You fix stuff? I'm always getting calls. Fix my car. Fix my computer. Sounds like Jay. Yeah, it's Jay. They know you, though. What is it? Medical advice. Really? Are you a doctor? Combat corpsman. You're a combat corpsman? Wow. Hey, can you take a look, actually? I haven't been able to pitch in weeks. I need to rub down. Yeah, there you go. I think that if you're already hanging out with that friend and it's not something that they have to like go back to the office and research or something, but if they're there and all they do is just respond to something, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I think she's right. I'm down with that. I will respectfully disagree. I think, not disagree, but I think you should say, I think you should bring it up and be like, hey. People pay you for this. Do you want me to give you some cash? Do you want me to make an appointment? What are they going to say? Well, they're going to say no, but at least you offered. You're not a freeloader. It's one thing if you call them and you're like, hey, so I have this situation. And then you're like, okay, later. And then it's like you're using them. If you're hanging out at dinner and you're like, hey, by the way, would you mind just helping me out real quick? I think the best thing to do is just offer, hey, and you know what? You've pulled in a couple favors, so here. And just like.
Give the check. Do it. If they're like, no, seriously, you're insulting me. Like, take it back. Then you rest your case. But if they're like, oh, cool. Thanks. Write them a check for like 10 bucks. Then you know you were a nuisance for a while. For a long time. My friend CB's wife, Amy, is a physical therapist and I messed my toes up. Oh, boy. Oh, my. What'd you do? Well, I hyperextended them. You were in a terrible accident? No, I was... You dropped a safe... Oh. Yeah, you dropped a safe on your foot? Yeah. I was boogie boarding and I had little flippers on. Mike! Showing everybody, mind you. Really? I never saw. Oh, you never saw? I'm surprised. Apparently they were bruised. We were at his Memorial Day deal and I walk in and he's going to shoe off in the kitchen like, look at my toes. Really? Look at my toes. Mike, why? Because it hurts. Why do you do that? Because it hurts. People are going to laugh. I know it. They did. They did. Woods walked in and he goes, are you talking about your feet again? Good job, Flitz. And I start limping towards him. I'm like, but it really hurts. You don't understand. It hurts today. It stings. I watched The Office last night where Michael grilled his foot. Oh, it's the best. It's the DVD. Grilled his foot on the foreman. Grilled his foot on the foreman. It's awesome. We're getting some calls about it. M1 Cake Girl from Encinitas. Are you there, Cake Girl? Oops. Go ahead. Yeah, there you are. Okay, yeah. I'm a pastry chef, and every single time I get invited somewhere.
Can you bring dessert? That's a beating. Every birthday party, every baby shower. I can't show up at a party without having to do work before I go. Cake girl, let me ask you. What would everybody say if they said to you, can you bring dessert? You go, yeah, you show up with a Vons package. It's like a Bundt cake from Vons. She should. Bring a pack of Twinkies. I have thought of it. I have thought of it. And I always say, can I bring a bottle of wine? Nope. Why'd you bring dessert? And I have to, like, this is not only time, but money that I have to do before I go. And, you know, the funny thing is, when my friends try and pay for it, I'm always like, oh, no, no, it's cool, it's cool. But, you know, if they offer, it doesn't bother me. But, you know, like, if it's a full-on catered event, M1K girl, have you... I'll still have to bring dessert. Have you been to the studio yet? No. Why don't you come down next Friday and maybe bring dessert. We'll bring lunch. You bring dessert. You got like some sunglasses? Yeah. Maybe you make a baklava for us and you come down next Friday and we'll party. Do you at least get like some business from it? Like from people that are there? Sometimes. And a lot of my friends do give referrals. Yeah. That's always really nice. So, Kate, girl, do you go all out when you go to the party and they ask you to bring dessert? Do you do like a full on like?
Oh, I have to. I do. Yeah. I can't show my work. That's not. Yeah. Maybe you email me at woods at Mikey show dot com. That's how my mom is. My mom is a wedding planner slash. She does a lot of parties and everyone calls her. OK, so what do I do about this? Can you help me? Can you just come look? Can you just give me your opinion? And she's like. Okay. I get the same thing. People call me all the time. They're like, can you just be dynamic on the phone for a minute? Please, Woods, I just need you to be dynamic for just a minute. Well, and if you're good at something, you can't just be like, I'm just going to half-ass it. Like, you're like, man. You're proud. It's like a disease, though. You have to do it right. I have to give it 110%. I can't tell you how many times people will be like, hey, Mikey, can you come quinceanera shopping with me? Trying to pick out the right piñata. I need a new sombrero, a new burro. Can you actually take a look? I'm poncho shopping. Now, granted, I'm really good at selecting those things. So, you know, I'm really good at telling them that's the right one. M1DTL from Oceanside. Are you there? What's going on, dude? Nothing. I hate friends and family that all think that you should or want you to come over and do free work. You know, I do the detailing. Yeah.
So you show up and you have your work truck with you and you just want to say, hey, can you get my mats real quick? No way. See, that's bad. That's not just like giving your opinion. That's doing actual work. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's like, yeah, let me get my vacuum. Yeah, sure. No problem. Yeah. Do they ever say, hey, man, let me give you some dough for this or any of that kind of stuff? Well, no, it'd be like, you know, typical. They want like, I don't know, 80% off. Five finger discount. No, that's no way. Are you friends with my dad? Right. M1 Hawk would be doing that for sure. It's not the fact that it's bad. I wouldn't mind doing it. It's just collectively when there's like everybody you know every time you show up. Right. Yeah, for sure. Thank you, brother. We appreciate the phone call. M1 Chris from San Marcos. Good, man. So what do they ask you? an essay for college because I graduated before them. Right. They would ask me to know the next proofread for 10 pages. Oh, man. Proofread papers because he's an English major? Dude, I can do you one better. They used to ask me to write their papers in college and I finally started charging. You did? Yeah, I wrote all their papers. How much? 50 bucks, 100 bucks. Really? Yeah, and dude, I can crank out a four-page paper in an hour, if that. You are lucky that you have that gift. I mean, I could slay it. And I would do three, four. I'd have three or four of my own to write and then two or three of theirs.
It's a long day, pal. Really? Computer lab, yeah. Sienna, how long would a paper take you? Forever. Really? Oh, I was the worst. That's why I didn't finish. How long, actually? It was bad. I mean, it would take not hours. It would take days. Oh, wow. I could crank them out. I just thought of a bit. What? Write a paper. Yeah, because I never went to college. I never went to college. Worst bit ever. Well, no, no, for me. I mean, just me. I'll do it with you. I've never done it. I don't even know what a paper really is. Oh, this will be genius. What is a paper? I told you guys that I made up my own books for book reports. Which is brilliant. I did. You've got to tell that again. Oh, my God. Well, when I was in middle school and elementary school, forget reading. Yeah. Sienna doesn't do things like that. Right. Write that down. Yeah. So I would make up a book, an author, the whole story, everything. I read The Little Goldfish by Pamela Bauer. Exactly. And I got away with it because there wasn't really Google then. You know, like you can just look it up. And I got great grades on it. Yeah, well, of course. It's your book. You knew it. A's every time. So what is a paper? Okay, I'll give you, there's a, I did my biggest and best paper. There's a poem. It's called Howl. It's by Allen Ginsberg.
So I want you to read them. It's called Hoyle. It's called Howell. It's pronounced Hoyle. It's not all about you, Hoyle. It's not. No, it's Howell. My actual name is Hoyleton, but it's pronounced Hoyle. So I'll give you this poem, Mike. You read it, and I want you to summarize and give your opinions on it. Yeah. What? Yeah. And four pages. I'm going to need four pages from you. Four-page paper. Wait, wait, wait. Get out of this now. So I have to tell you. Basically, I tell you what it was about. In your own words. In your own words. What do you think it meant? And then I have to... Write a four-page paper on it. And then I have to give my opinion on it? Yeah. Like whether or not I thought it was good or... No, I mean, that's pretty elementary, but like... How does it reflect on your life today? Yeah. Can I do it on a subject I like? No? No. Okay, great. Woods won't do it for you either. I know after the show ends, you're going to go, hey, Woods, I'm going to need some help with this paper. I would. I'd say, Woodsy, let's do this together. I'll do that if you do my edits. That's right. Can I tell that story? Woodsy offered Jay. Oh, yeah. When we first started this job. When we first started. Because Jay has experience in radio. Woodsy had to edit sports stuff, little clips and stuff like that. Load audio. Load audio, little audio clips. He was so frustrated, he offered Jay $50. A week. A week to do it for him. And Jay goes, absolutely not. I'm like, I'll do it. I was like, grow up. Yeah, really?
Hey, why don't you pick up the phone and start recruiting people? You got to get trained. That's not what I'm trained to do. I said, I'll show you how to do it. And you're like, man, I'm not good at this. M1 Chelsea from IB. Are you there? Go ahead. Hey, so I'm a photographer. Every time I get invited somewhere, people are like, oh, well, make sure you bring your camera. Oh, yeah. I was just thinking we do that to my friend Brad. And like when I was doing the acting and the comedy and stuff, I'd need headshots or like lifestyle shots, all that stuff. So I'd be like, if you want to build your portfolio. Oh, yeah. He's taking pictures of celebrities and all that, getting paid like thousands of dollars. If you want to build it. Yeah, let's trade. You make it a positive for him. Let's trade. Yeah. Well, the worst thing was I actually photographed. both my sister and my mom's wedding. And at my sister's wedding, I heard somebody, when I stopped taking pictures and got in some of the family photos, I heard somebody say, why is a photographer getting in those photos?
Oh, my gosh. That's the worst. Not even though I was related to her. Yeah, not the maid of honor. The photographer. The photographer. And I bet it's not just the pictures. They probably want you to print out, you know, all the copies of them. Edit them. And really nice edit them. For sure. Yeah, it's expensive. We're about to do, Mikey's show is about to do that with Dan Field's photography. Yep, big time. And, I mean, that's the deal. Dan is the greatest photographer. Oh, my God, he's amazing. The pictures are so freaking great. Yeah, he's got an eye. He did all of our photos. So when anything's going on, you're like, Dan, would you mind? You know, it's like we don't realize like this guy's a professional. Dan is a professional. But we are doing what we say that we shouldn't do. We basically are. I think we all do. And that's why I would like this opportunity to be called out on it. Yeah. What's the protocol? Yeah. I can't tell you. I mean, people be like, listen, I need a male model to come over, Mikey.
Would you mind coming over and wearing these toddler clothes? And I'm like, I can't just keep doing this. I do it. I'm a toddler model. I'm a toddler model. And I can't just do this all the time for free. Maybe get a tattoo to fill in for you. I feel bad, dude. I feel bad asking for stuff. I told you guys this week, my guy at the Padres, I've gotten a few pairs of tickets from him. And it skeeves me out every time I have to ask for tickets. It skeeves me out. How about this one? M1MT from Chula Vista. You there? I'm one M.T. from Chula Vista. I'm sneaking out of the house right now listening to you guys. Oh, why are you sneaking out of the house? Oh, I need to serve some papers for a guy to go to court. Gotcha. Not me, is it? Well, an M.T., massage therapist, and, you know, when you hurt your hand, you have to find another work. That's right. So anyway. That's right. Are you sneaking out of the house? Now I'm sneaking out houses to make money. Just like the Pineapple Express guy. Yeah. Serving people. Oh. L.O.B. is a little jealous. You'd be really good at that job. I would be. That's right. So as a massage therapist, you probably, every friend you have is like, hey, can you work a lot? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. They definitely like, oh, limp, like a little bit more extreme when I'm around. Oh, my back. So I work at a salon. So what's your... Everybody's on their feet. Oh, just give me 10 minutes here. Oh, my back. Can you just give me 10 minutes? So MT, what's your deal? Do you have like a whole wrap prepared for when people ask you?
Yeah. What is it? My book is right there. You work here. Make an appointment. Right, right, right. MT, have you been in the studio yet? I know. Yeah, we got to get MT in here. My shoulder's killing me. I need some help. Little Bowie, Golden Years. We got Lauren picking the music today. Some good stuff. Here's what I got for you. There are people that swear by generic. Now, what I mean by that is they go, hey, listen, it's got the same exact ingredients in it. I am not a generic guy because I feel like it's not the same. I don't feel it's the same. And so when we come back, Sienna has got some ones that are better than others. And she'll explain why. So if you want to save some dough, you'll find out with all of us next. Make some noise in the studio this morning.

I'm Stacy Cohen, FM 94.9. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Good morning to you. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Friday morning being brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate. And Guayaquil is teaming up today, the last day, to go into any of your Jimbo's Naturally markets and sign up to win one of two custom-built surfboards from Rusty. And they'll be built to your specifications, shoreboards for sure. And you have to enter today, though, because it's over. Surf-wise, we've got some waves out there today. West-northwest wind in Groundswell has picked up pretty well, actually, with some chest-shoulder high waves on average. Head-high overhead waves in standout spots. Still a little bit of a remnant southswell mixing in with this. Unfortunately, we've got some negatives to deal with. Bad tides this morning, super low.
and some strong south-southeasterly winds are kind of putting the voodoo look on most all spots. Pretty sectiony and walled up with some bad winds on it, too. Some of the more selected areas most protected from those southerly winds look okay, and they should improve some as the tide does fill in. But it looks like we're in for another day of kind of hodgepodgey surf with not real favorable winds. Bummer. Water's warmed up, though. This surf report can be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Back to the Mikey Show. Mikey. I don't have any, you know, athletic abilities. Sienna. I'm like a little bit Irish. Really? There's everything white I am. Woods. I mean, hey, listen, I do snuff on the planet. Okay. Lauren. I was a bit of a pyro when I was a kid. I knew how it worked. I knew how destructive it was. I still started fires on the reg. And Jay. This is a paid gig. I'm 100% in. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Lauren picking the music today. If you want to see what her choices are, you can go to Facebook.com, search The Mikey Show, and become a fan of The Mikey Show on our Facebook page, and you can see.
The choices that Lauren chose today. How many fans do we have now, LLB? 8,565. Wow. That's insane. That's a nice number. We'll get a nice 10,000. By the end of the weekend? By the end of the week. That's a challenge, people. We'll give everybody some Angel and Anarchy sunglasses. There you go. Okay, so, Sienna, tell me about... How do I know? What do I need to look for? If I'm getting generic stuff, what do I need to look for? Well, there's just a few examples in this article, but for example, if you need a pain reliever, some Advil or something, okay, would you guys go generic or name brand? Advil. I don't think I would. You would go generic. You know what? I'll tell you about my neurosis. This is how neurotic I am. Neurosis. If I believe that, let's say that I'm going to take the Advil because I have some pain in my knee. If I believe that by taking an Advil, it will relieve the pain for five hours. If I buy a generic in my mind, I go, oh, it'll only last three. Really? In my mind. See, I just like pharmaceutical companies. They have to wait a certain amount of time before they like their patent is up. And then anyone can go and copy it and make it generic. So I just think it's like, all right, like it's the same drug. But, you know, if you have an Oreo and.
Shmoria? Hydra. Hydra. But I think it's different with drugs because whatever's in there gets released to the public. So they're saying that's a good one, Sienna? Generic brand wins. Really? Generic brand wins. Yeah, it says the active ingredients are usually the same as in the name brand. A lot of times it's the same company. They just didn't put the little stamp on there. It's less money for the labeling and branding and all that jazz. Really? Yeah. Advertising. Okay, you've convinced me at this moment. So the next time. I will try the generic and report back. I don't think I will. I have the generic. I don't think I don't care. That's all I do. It's not candy coated and it doesn't say nice little Advil on it. That's what Advil is. It's got like a little candy coat over it. It's just a dry tablet. It does the same thing. It does the better things. Really? I get scared to leave my comfort zone. You save a dollar too. Advil's been working great. Save yourself a nice fresh dollar. Is that what you're saving? No, it's more than that. No, I mean, depending on what it is. It's just a buck, two bucks, you know. Okay. But it all adds up. Sure, it does. I'll try it. If you need to watch your pennies, then do it. Why pay more if I don't have to? Exactly. That's true. All right. Toiletries, an example. Oh. Toilet paper. Never skip. I ain't skipping. No, no, no, no, no, no. I don't skip with that. Never. No.
You skimp with that? I don't. No way. How bad is the airport? Dude. Hotel. Toilet paper. Hotel. Toilet paper. Airport. Sandpaper. Too thin. Lincoln Financial Bathory. Yeah. The toilet paper that they have here in the building is like, it looks like the same stuff that they wrap spring rolls in. Yeah, it's rice paper. I don't understand why it's so thin, too, because you're just going to double, triple, quadruple up on it. I know it. It doesn't save any paper. I look at that toilet paper, I'm like, what do you want me to do? Like, julienne up some carrots and put that in here and deep fry it? Seriously. It's so thin. Yeah, certain toiletries like toilet paper, the name brand. Definitely wins. Forget it. You don't skimp on toiletries, first of all. No. Yeah, you do. Some of them. No, you don't. Like what? Like maybe like a toner for your face or nail polish remover or like. See, but I notice a difference in all of those. Like I've bought generic nail polish remover and it's like I've used three times as much and scrub really hard to get it off.
Me three. When I go to the Twilight premiere and I put the black nail polish on, when I'm done, it takes forever. To get black nail polish off, you're going to have a shadow for a couple years. Yes, you're telling me. Check it out. Gross. Gasoline. Generic gas? See, I didn't know about that either. Apparently there's places that have... What does it say, gas? No, it's a place, they had them in Texas called Racetrack. I guess they don't have them out here. That's generic? 40 cents cheaper. I'm not kidding. No way. It's gas, but it's like watered down gas. Like Chevron says they have something in there. Yeah, exactly. That like will coat your. No, and I'm sold. I'm the idiot that's like, I'm going to have Tecron. Right. I'm going to have Tecron. I'm out. Let me tell you, you're not an idiot because generic brand wins. Really? Generic wins. Yeah. It says that they're usually delivered from the same trucks. For real? Yeah. No. But isn't the quality of gas different? You know, I've always... See, when you go to Mexico, it stinks. I've always... The whole 87, 89, 91. Does it say anything about that? Like the premium? I always thought that was a bit. I think it's a bit. L-O-B. It's a bit. It's a bit. It says here that they deliver from the same tank trucks that deliver to neighboring stations. What are you saying, bro? They have to measure all their petrol. Really? How come, though, in Mexico, it's like the cheap...
Because it's my scalp. There's some... Like gasoline after they just filled up the tanks because all the sediment floats up from the bottom of the tank. Dude, I didn't know that. Look at the big brain on Brad. Dude, that's great. For real? What a great tip. So if you see the truck there... Oh, wow. Oh, first of all, I'm always going because I feel like the moment I pull in, the thing's going to blow up. No way. I'm like, ooh, fresh gas. I do. I like fresh gas, too. I'm terrified of those tanker trash. I'm an idiot. We're acting like it's donuts. We're like, ooh. Right on hot off the presses. So warm. With the light on. Nice. What else? Clothing. No. Don't skin. No, because stuff will break. Yeah. You know? Especially. It just depends on what generic brand you're talking about. Target makes some pretty good stuff, but some of the places. There's a place, and I don't want to embarrass it, but I shop there, Old Gravy. I'll call it Old Gravy. You'll call it Old Gravy. No, no, it's not generic. It's just, it's like you wear a shirt three or four times, done. You start to get there. There's Banana Republic. Yep. Then there's The Gap. Then there's.
Old Gravy was one of the generic items that they listed. Generic? Really? Yeah, for clothing. As a good or as a generic. And they say you want to go name brand. And they say it's a good thing to do? To go name brand. I don't want to throw a good store under the bus. I mean, listen, this is a report. If you go to Old Gravy, that's more generic because you're going to get a lot more stuff for a lot cheaper, but it's not going to last as long. Yeah, why do you think you buy five shirts for a dollar? You know what I mean? I'd gap you by one for 20. Right. But what I want to know is, are they saying we don't recommend this or they're saying, no, there's great. No, they're not recommending going cheap. Maybe for like, I think for like staple items, like things that you want to have and wear a lot, go for the name brand. But if it's just something in the season that you're like, eh, I think it's cool right now. And I probably won't like it in six months. Yeah, like my skorts. It's a skirt and a pair of shorts. And, you know, I just want to get my skorts. I'm just going to wear them for the warm season. And your man panties. You don't want to skimp on those. Okay, you don't. Like this tie-dye shirt.
I got this from Target. Yeah. I don't even remember, like 10, 12, whatever bucks. Yeah. But if I got it from, like, Lucky Jeans or something, it'd be like $75. Urban Outfitters, it'd be $55. Yeah. Where'd you get that, 1975? No. Did you get that at the Hendrix concert? You didn't write that down. My tie-dye shirt. Yeah, exactly. And the last one on here is food products, and it's a tie between generic and name brand, depending on what you get. Okay. I'll go generic on some food products. Mustard, ketchup, I will go generic on. Really? I don't know why. Not soda, though. Nothing's better than Heinz. You ever have like... Soda? Soda or like... Tab. Dr. Pipper? Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Mr. Pibb. Mr. Pibb's delicious. That's not generic. Oh. It's... Those are... Those are hideous. Dr. Slice. Dr. Slice? It was one I saw at, like, Sam's Club. Dr. Slice. What about the dads? Is that what you're talking about? The root beer? Yeah, instead of dads, it's uncles. It's called Dirts. Dirts. It's called Dirts. M1 Dean from Kearney Mesa. Hey, Mikey. Hey, what's up, dude? Okay, okay. I got some peace of mind, but considering your normal buying habits, it's not really going to change what you do. Okay. Okay. Now, my brother used to work for the company that supplies all these gas stations. NCM is right.
It all comes from the same source. Now, each company puts in additives, and that's what they talk about, ooh, the check on this and that. What it does is these additives help burn your fuel faster, hotter, and more efficient. My dad's told me that. Well, then how come when they put that additive in the Oreo cookie, it tastes real good? Do they not have that additive in the Hydrox? Because the Hydrox don't taste as good as yours. No, they add the additive in the generic gas band, and it will burn your fuel quicker. Right. Well, yeah, because, you know, I like to drink gas all the time. It definitely tastes worse. Gross. Yeah. Now, they can do this because over the life of these tests, which they run, there is a fraction of a cleaner, you know, car. Okay, where the gas pumps through, it does clean your car. It's a matter of it's a marketing manipulative tool for such consumers as you, wonderful Mikey. But you just said that it does clean your car. Eventually, but a fraction. If you have, like, it's too barely. I mean, it is a fraction. It's how you drive your car. If you put in a gas additive once a year, you can have unleaded gas all the time. Well, I drive my car like Miss Daisy now. Yes, you do. No additives in Mexico gas. That's why you're like, oh, that's crappy gas. Yeah.
I drive my car at 65 to 67 miles an hour. That's as fast as you've gone in the last how long? Four or five months. 67? Really? 68 sometimes, but L.O.B. got me on that. She goes, oh, well, you're really speeding. And I was like, oh, okay, I probably am. L.O.B. I'm like, all right, I'll give it plus or minus two miles an hour. Yeah, if Mikey and I are going to lunch, he'll say, yeah, let's go to Pizzicato. And I'll say, all right, you leave now. I'm going to file papers. You don't drive in the fast lane, right? No. I'm going to file papers. I'm going to go get a can of snuff. I'm going to fill up with gas and we get there at the same time. Yeah. File papers? Yeah. Take your time. What do you drive like me? I drive like a maniac. Yeah, me too. 570-1949 is our number. You can text us 949mikey at gmail.com. Did you guys have fun doing the meeting over at Jay's? I got to tell you. I'm sold on that bit, but I don't think we'd ever do it, but I'm in. I want to do that every time. It's too far for Sienna, I think. I had to deal with a little bit of traffic on the way home. You did? It was late in the day that we did the meeting. Did you like that as soon as I sat down, I asked everybody if I had BO? And what about if you asked if you could put your feet up? I was sitting next to Lauren. I don't think you asked. You said, oh, I have BO. Wow, your nose was in your armpit. Have you ever had somebody?
at work and you're like, I don't know how to tell them that they got the BO. I had the BO yesterday, or whenever we did our meeting, and I could tell. I was just sitting there. Just to let you know, I didn't smell it. You didn't? I would have, when you sang that little song that you did. I have BO. Yeah, I would have gone, oh yeah, you do. I didn't hear you sing that. Yeah, I did. But I thought I smelled a couple little funny smells. I have BO. I have BO. I have BO. I have BO. It should never be sung like that. Wow. Sometimes I'm self-conscious that I have it when I don't actually have it. I guess then. You may have had an onion in a headlock that day. Really? Really? You smelled it? I smelled a couple funny smells, but I didn't hear you say it. I didn't know who was coming from. That was me, Sienna. Sorry. Okay. And I also asked if I could put my feet up on the table. Tell the truth. That was fine.
Don't you do that when you go to people's house? If you want to get comfortable, there's a certain level of, I'm not sure if I can get this comfortable. It was good. You asked if you could put your feet on Jay's table. Yeah, I want to know about the shoes coming off, the feet on the table, and the coaster on the table. Yeah. Those are my things. And I'll say, hey, is it okay if I take my clothes off and use my laptop? I don't like, though, because some people think it's okay when you put your feet on the couch. It's okay if you're barefoot or wearing socks, but not with your shoes. Don't ever put the shoes. Don't sit cross-legged on my couch. Was that okay, Jay? With your shoes on. I did. Oh, you took your shoes off? Absolutely. No, but did I? I don't think I did. No, you didn't. But Kim's big rule is you take your shoes off when you come in the house. Oh, boy, I didn't do it. Really? We let you fly. We let you fly on that one. I didn't say anything. Jay, you got to say something. Jay, why didn't you say something? You know. It's awkward. She's like that Mikey. I thought the big sign flashing at the front door was an indicator. Well, none of us took our shoes off, did we? I think I did. I did once I sat down. Once I sat down, yeah. I take mine off. Well, Lauren, you did because, you know, you're like subservient. You know, you just wanted to make sure that you're respecting. You want to respect the house. Mahalo, pal. Have you ever had that issue? Somebody posted on Facebook the other day. In fact, it may have been our fan. It was either a fan site or my wall.
Somebody had put about that they, no, it was the news feed. Yeah. That somebody at their office had BO. Yep. I think I saw that. What do you do? You do nothing. You don't do anything. You get a lot of air fresheners for your cubicle. You can't do anything. You have to say something. No. You can't say something. Anonymous note. Anonymous note. Why not? Anonymous note, you have body odor. You stink. You can't. Okay, but me right now, like my senses are like out of control, obviously, because I'm pregnant. I wouldn't be able to deal with it. So you would have to say something. You would have to deal with it, though. I would have to. You can't. You have to. We had a guy, and we just bought him a bar of Irish Spring. Oh, no. On his desk. Cool. No, no. It said, use this. Awful. Mean. So mean. Hey, he stunk all the time, though. Yeah, but you don't have to be so. It wasn't cruel. It was like, hey, here's some soap. Use it. That's cruel. There's people like Brad Pitt who you hope don't ever smell, but they don't use deodorant. And it's like some people just don't use deodorant. Here's the stories that don't use deodorant. Sting does not use deodorant. So stupid. Matthew McConaughey doesn't use deodorant. Kate Hudson. I heard Kate Hudson. Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt.
It's aluminum. I don't use deodorant. I don't, yeah. You don't use deodorant? I use the natural, Joe. The crystal? I have a crystal. Oh, for... Really? Wow. Do you? I do. I quit. Dude. I quit. I'm telling you right now, Woodsy. I'm telling you right now. It works. Let me tell you. You get it like Trader Joe's. I snuffed it out real quick at my house, but my wife said, do you think... with the deodorant that the aluminum, and I go, babe, stop. And she goes, I'm just, and I go, babe, please. I would rather, I mean, I don't know the side effects, so maybe I shouldn't say, but I would rather avoid smelling at all costs. Side effects, not good. How do we, really? It's deodorant. You know, people have been using deodorant for a billion, 200 years. No, they haven't. Sure they have. Sure they have. Cavemen use deodorant. They used to make soap. No, that's a recent development. And there's been a lot. Do you have candle wax under your arms right now? Yeah, what do you use? Well, the stuff that I used to use, I can't find on the shelf. If anybody knows where it is. What is it? I used to use the Arm & Hammer. It had baking soda in it. And now I can't find it anymore. So I use the Tom's bit. Why don't you just buy some Arm & Hammer baking soda and make it yourself? Make it into it.
You make it into a big bar. Throw it on there. So you don't wear deodorant. That's not deodorant? Sometimes if I know it's going to be like particularly like strenuous workout or something like that, I'll slap it on there. Or like if you're going to a fireman's ball or something. Yeah. Maybe then. If you're going to a fireman's chili cook-off, maybe then you would. Like this weekend. Jay, you don't wear deodorant. No, I don't. All I wear is the, it's a crystal. And it's basically, it's not really a crystal. He was being serious? He was serious. Jay, come here. The crystal doesn't work for me. It's like a scented crystal. Come in the room. Yeah, I'm going to smell him too. You wet it. And forget it. You're going to smell him? Of course I am. Oh, God bless, dude. Nuh-uh. Yes, it's like a musty basement. It is not. Dude. Oh. Both of you guys put your noses in each of his armpits. Smells like a musty basement in there. Ew. That is a 14-year-old boy's room. Yeah, it is. Really? Yes. Hey.
Somebody might be getting a bar of Irish Spring on Monday. You haven't noticed. Yeah, that's the thing. I got to give him this. I never noticed. I have to give him this. I don't smell Jay. No, I don't either. But when I just put my nose to his pit, I was like, oh, my goodness. The World Cup is starting, and it's like a 13-year-old boy's room watching the World Cup. No way. Poor Chris. Come here. Our phone screener, Chris, is in this tiny room with Jay every morning. Jay doesn't stink. I don't have a smell at all. Oh, you smell great. Ew. Weird. Yeah. What do we have to hide? It smells like fresh. It smells really good. What's he smells like? Baking soda. Oh, it smells amazing. Smell that. Lauren's got her arms up. Oh, yeah. She's giving me the love fingers. Hey. Lauren, I've never smelled you. Smell like sweetness and passion fruit. I've never smelled you. So if you are using some kind of special deodorant, it's fine because I don't smell any BO on you. Cool. I keep an extra like a mini deodorant in my car at all times. Let me reiterate. It is deodorant. It's not antiperspirant. Okay. Is the antiperspirant the one with the aluminum in it? Antiperspirant is what stops you from actually sweating. That's the bad stuff. It clogs. It's like, all right, I'm going to... You keep that sweat in there and you don't come out. What's the bad stuff?
That. She said. So if I use deodorant, I'm okay. But most deodorants are antiperspirant. You have antiperspirant. I can tell that you're wearing antiperspirant. And the reason that I know is because it's like a... Baby powder. It's baby powder. I think it's not secret. I'm off the secret, by the way. Yours is really strong smelling. I think it's Arm & Hammer. Is it? 99 cents, I got it. Where'd you get it from? That's what I want. I got it. I put on so much. I lifted my shoulder and it was like wet in there. It smells delish. It smells amazing. We're all smelling each other's armpits. You eat out of that armpit. Let me tell you. I take that Menin Speed Stick and I'm in there for 45 minutes. Like, yep. Do you shave your pits? No! I don't either. All my friends do. And they're like, why would you have hair? Why would you shave? Your friends shave their pits? They all do, man. Don't shave your pits unless you're a swimmer. Why? Don't do it. That's weird. Trying to be aerodynamic? I guess. Hang on a minute. We have two women telling us for sure, do not shave your pits, dudes. In fact, if I ever was hooking up with a guy and his shirt came off and their pits were shaved and he was not a swimmer, I'd be like, later. Yeah. I'd say, what?
and give them a little tickle. Yeah, Clay Aiken is like, that's the gayest thing I've ever done. You're saying that a little bit of hair in your armpit will slow you down as a swimmer? It will, yeah. They do. That's like their bed. They shave their legs. They shave everything. No, because they're beating each other by like... Fractions of them. And I'm out. Because of armpit hair? Yeah. It's really getting that much drag. It is. Yeah. Well, you'd have to shave that goatee, dude. Believe. The only thing that's keeping you from being an Olympic swimmer is that goatee. That's it. I'd be winning for Mexico right now. That'd be amazing. They don't shave their heads, though. They wear a skull cap. They wear a skull cap. And that helps? Oh, yeah. Okay. All right. All right. Ridiculous. Shaving the armpits. And using a crystal as deodorant. Maybe just get a rock from the beach. Yeah, the rock didn't work for me. That's why I didn't use it. You know why? Because it doesn't work. You guys got inside his armpit and smelled. But Sienna and Woods, I'm telling you, you guys, I think it does work because I've never smelled B.O. You will now. You will now. No, you won't. No, you won't. Guaranteed.
Although, when I did put my... I've never smelled it on Jay. Funkadelic. And you've been in my pit. Because, Mikey, I'm right up in your business right during the break. I've never smelled you. Never smelled anything bad at all. Do you wear cologne? No, not really. Well, let's see. Chris is in a room with you all morning. A tiny room. Does he smell it? Chris, do you smell Jay? Horrible. Horrible. I'll tell you what, though. Jay's got four kids. And they are, what, 15 years apart? Yeah. I don't think he's... He's having any problem with the stink and the unattractiveness. With the old lady? Yeah, I think the old lady's digging it. She likes the smell. Still likes the taste. And I can't believe it's just, sorry, Kim, that I called you an old lady. Question. Question. Any guys in here, because I'm thinking back right now, I'm like, when did our parents have to say to us, it's time to teach you what something called deodorant is? Oh, embarrassing. No, you don't learn it from me. I think you learn it from the first kid in the locker room that's using it, and you're like, I'm going to do that. Is that how it happens? Middle school. It's like shaving. I used to shave. I had no face on it. None. Zero. You do it before, usually. You even need to. I had to tell Finn.
I was like, dude, how about you get in the shower? Maybe wash your hair. I think my dad was like, hey, it's time for you to start wearing deodorant. In my house, it was the opposite. My dad's like, you take three showers a day. Stop taking showers. I don't think that's what you were doing in their woods. Well, maybe. I just got as creeped out as I've been in five minutes. You told me you were combing your hair. Oh, my goodness. So many inappropriate things. You probably didn't know this, but there is a lot of laws on the books in the U.S. that Sienna was telling me. Did you know that in California, it's illegal to eat an orange in the bathtub? Darn it. I think all these are bits, by the way. We'll find out next. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. Make great food, do catering. Their locations, La Jolla Village Square, Sorrento Valley, UCSD, and Carlsbad. Really good. Let's see. Okay, so some of the weird things.
that are laws that will probably freak you out that you didn't know about. Like what, Sienna? They're so phenomenal. What do you got? Like everyone is, I'm trying to filter through them and everyone is great. In Alabama, it's illegal to wear a fake mustache that causes laughter in church. Really? Yep. Is that true? No way. I'm reading this straight from Yahoo.com. In Alaska, whispering in someone's ear while he's moose hunting is prohibited. Now, here's the thing with these is that these are real. But they usually have, like, more of an explanation. Yeah, there's more to it, apparently. But they just, what I'm reading you is what the list says. In Arkansas, it's illegal to mispronounce the name of the state of Arkansas. Of course it is. Our Kansas. Our Kansas. That's it. We're hauling you in. Here in California, you may want to know this. You may not eat an orange in your bathtub. Nope. Too late. Don't do it. Too late. Cuff me. I don't know. I wonder why the bathtub bit. Like, why the bathtub? This is a made up bit. That sounds funny. Really? Well, there's probably another like provision or situation or something. If anybody on the show did get caught for that, it would be me. Oh, yeah. 100%. Woods can't make it in. He was arrested. What did he do? Yeah. He's eating oranges in the bathtub again. It'd be you. Yeah. For sure. Now, I had, I think I've heard this one before. In Arizona, do you guys know the cactus law? Uh-uh. It's illegal to cut down a cactus. You can earn 25 years in prison. I bet it is. Yeah. Those things are.
Really, really old. It's like a forest. In Colorado, it's unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next door neighbor. What? Yeah. In Delaware. I don't want to know why. I know. I want to know somebody that's been arrested for it. In Delaware, it's illegal to get married on a dare. Oh, boy. In Florida, here's a great one. Good thing that's not a law in Vegas. Oh, no kidding. Yeah. In Florida, if you tie an elephant to a parking meter, you must pay the same parking fee as you would for a vehicle. Are you serious? The crazy thing is that must have been done. It happened. Weighs the same amount. In Georgia, it's illegal to change the clothes of a storefront mannequin unless you draw the shades first. Really? You can't undress a mannequin unless no one can see. That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. In Hawaii, all residents may be fined for not owning a boat. What? In Hawaii, yeah. In Idaho, a man must not give his sweetheart a box of candy weighing fewer than 50 pounds. Really? Yes. In Indiana, the value of pie is four. What? You can't just change that stuff. You can't change pie. Well, I'm just...
Argue with them. He has no idea. I know it's not. 3.14. That's what pie's value is. 3.14 and then it keeps going. I think Mike was thinking pie is delicious. It's priceless. You can't put a price on pie. In Kentucky, get the horn ready, every citizen is required to take a shower once a year. Once a year. In Iowa, One-armed piano players must perform for free. What is that? What? In Kansas, it's illegal to throw knives at men wearing striped suits. Of course. But people that are wearing dungarees. Solid suits. Solid suits. Cheetos just fine. Have at it. I know. In Maine, if you keep your Christmas decorations on display after January 14th, you'll be fined. I mean, they're all... It's ridiculous. I like that law. You do? Yeah. Yeah. January 14th. Come on, guys. That's right. This is great. Listen to this email. Mikey, you guys are going to get a kick out of this one. I'm a 36-year-old professional dude. I like to think that I'm a pretty savvy guy who keeps up. A professional dude? Easy topper. I like to think that I'm a pretty savvy guy who keeps up with the times and the fashions. However... Is this Bauman? It is not your friend Bauman. However, I have a buddy, my main wingman, actually, who has decided to make...
A drastic move. He bought skinny jeans and wears them when we go out. Oh, no. Dude. By the way, he put dude, period. Dude. Maybe that's dude. Dude. Dude. I don't even want to hang out with him. They're the worst thing he could possibly wear, and I think he looks like a giant tool. What do I do? I'm seriously thinking about just phasing him out. He looks ridiculous. M1 Brian. Now, or M1 Brand. I think it's important to realize the reason for this is, I think the proper assumption is his friend is the same age. 36 years old. I think that might be my favorite email. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Oh, man. Yeah. I want to be friends with that guy. This is what begs the question, though. So, as a guy, what age is the cutoff?
Because there's got to be a cutoff. 17. Unless you're in the Kings of Leon, dude. Then you're fine. Kings of Leon. If you play in a rock band or you play music, okay. Done. But it's done. You can do it. First of all, I couldn't find a pair of skinny jeans. I just imagined you wearing skinny jeans. Shut it. Lauren. I couldn't. I mean. Do they sell skinny jeans at Casual Mail? They may. You can get them to tell me. Wow. It's got to be like 25, I would say. No. Yeah, because. Some guys look young and I don't know. I don't know what the cutoff age. Maybe it's the cutoff. Weight. Cutoff weight. Cutoff weight. Laura just looks at me and starts laughing.
Certain physique, yes, and a certain, like, social arena. Mikey has put his leg on the counter and his pants tight around his ankles. That is brutal. That looks really good, Mike. Stop it! If anybody can find some skinny jeans for Mikey, you'll have carte blanche. Yeah, size 38. Would you wear them to a meet and greet? By the way, here's what the waist and inseam would be. 3820. I don't know what that means. 38 waist, 20 inseam. I mean, I know what that means. 20 length. Yeah. 570-1949. Oh, my gosh. That's so great. Or 949mikey at gmail.com. 36 years old. No way. No way. No way. No way. No way. If this guy was my friend. I would have no, I mean, I just, you guys know me, I'm a ball buster. I would have no problems being like, really? Really? Oh, she would. You're going to wear that? No, you're not. I'm sure this guy has said that if he's claiming now he's not even going to hang out with them anymore. I mean, you got to imagine, you know, you're a professional guy. You're 36 years old. Your friend is 36 years old. You've known him to, you know.
not do this. And all of a sudden, you guys are making a run to Jack in the Box. You're walking into the place and he's got skinny jeans on next to you at 36 years old. Easy Kate Moss. Yeah. Easy. That's insane. Kate Moss. Okay, but what about like, Jay's 46 and I wouldn't, I don't think I'd even question him. Yeah, because he's a certain... really... You have to be, like, a certain look. No, Jay can't wear skinny jeans. No, he could not. I think he maybe could. Jay has gray in his goatee. No. No. No. No. Okay, well, like, Bret Michaels wears them. He's a rock star. Well, you're saying Jay's not? I'm a rock star. Yeah, I'm saying Jay is not. Smell my pits. Smell my pits. M1 Aaron from Alpine. Aaron? Yeah. Radio down, bro. Okay. Go ahead. It depends on how skinny the jeans are, doesn't it? Skin tight. Yeah, dude. I mean, the whole idea of skinny jeans is that, you know, your calf is form-fitted into those jeans. No, not just your calf, your whole body. Yeah, everything. Yeah, but my sister says that, like, anyone could, like, go out and wear them for the night and still pull them off. Well, wait a minute, Aaron. How old are you, bro?
I'm 15. Well, yeah, you can. Yeah, you can. I was like, he's got to be in high school. Yeah, you can do it. Yeah. I'm 34. Woods. And that's all I have to say. Woods. I cannot stand skinny jeans. I think they look really dumb on people, and they just bring out your butt a lot. They make everybody's feet look naked. They bring out your butt. They make your feet look like skis. And they make other stuff look really small. Yeah, you know what? You guys know why I couldn't wear them. Oh, get out of here. Does a day ever go by? No. Has one day. Where he talks about his piece. Yeah, where he hasn't. And when he lifts up his shirt. You're like, really? Okay. No. Lifts up his shirt again. M1Oside, are you there? Yeah, I'm here, man. I think a professional dude's wingman is professionally clueless. I think you're right. You just don't do that. It's a high school thing. As soon as you're out of high school, stop wearing the skin tight pants. Unless you are on stage. Yeah, and then it's okay. Kings of Leon can pull it off. Yes, that's it. The Kings of Leon. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. I am so grateful that when I was in high school, these things weren't popular and I had to get them. Like Mikey had to get parachute pants. I got parachute pants. Yeah. Mikey's are made out of a real parachute.
And I... They were an actual parachute. It was a parachute. It was an actual parachute. It was all different colors. I would be mortified. Too bad there wasn't a circus tent phase that went through America. I would be mortified having to squeeze into those things every day. Oh, my gosh. You have to sit down. Yeah, yeah. I'll tell you what. I'm wearing skinny jeans, and this is what I have to do to get into them. My knees just crack, but lunges. You have to do lunges. I just squat into them. M1 Nate from San Diego. Hey, so I go to college, and my friend who also goes to college, his dad wears skinny jeans and he's a lawyer. Oh, no. How does he look? His dad is a lawyer and wears skinny jeans. Yeah, his dad's a lawyer. They have, like, a giant house in La Jolla, and he wears skinny jeans. To work? What's his name? Honestly, it wasn't to work, but I've seen him, like, wear them. Like other places. How old would you say he is? I mean, he's got to be, his son's 20 or 19, so he's got to be like late 50s. In his 50s, you said? Yeah. 50-year-old dude. Rocking skinny jeans. Unbelievable. No! No! You know, I'd have to see him to say no. Really? No. I can tell you right now, unequivocally, no. Yeah, unless he looks just like Edward Cullen.
No. What about Mick Jagger? Yeah, Lauren said Mick Jagger, and I was like, I'm a lord. He's on stage. They're on stage. Mick Jagger's on stage. Yeah, who cares? A lawyer. A lawyer, really? I'd walk into his office and go, yeah, see you later. Never mind. Jacoby and Myers, really? If I put skinny jeans on, it would look like someone just baked fresh blueberry muffins. Muffet topping? I would pay hundreds of dollars to see you in skinny jeans. Can we, with Converse, next meet and greet, maybe the guys wear skinny jeans. Maybe you guys do something. I'll do something. Trying to find something that fits over my stomach. I'll bring my diamonds to get polished to the next meet and greet. I can do that. I will. It's not as funny when we do it. I know, it's funny when you guys do it. Jay, would you wear skinny jeans to the next meet and greet? Yes, I would. All your kids wear them. Yeah. No. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. Are you really? Yes, I noticed. I didn't say anything. Is he wearing cargo? Yes, look at him. He's standing on the chair to show you. Look at him. And he's got his phone on his hip. Yeah, big dork. He has like such a dad move. Yeah. You hit me out. Look at him. He's pulling out his phone like a gun. Jay, you hitting the Outback later and you just want to be able to make some business calls while you're out there? 570-1949.
I called Jay yesterday after the show. I had to ask him a question. And he's like, is everything okay? Are you stranded on the side of the road? I'm like, no. No. I just have a question. You're like, man, but you whipped that phone right out of your holster so fast. But I love, like, he's so reliable. Yeah. Oh, man. He takes his phone out. You're like. Yeah. M1 Anna from San Diego. Hi, guys. Hi. Hi. So I think that the only two people over 60 that should be wearing skinny jeans are Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger. None. I can live with that. Sure. That's it. Yeah, but they wear them when they're not on stage. That's fine. They are rock stars. They've earned it. Yeah. No, skinny jeans. It takes a certain body type to be able to do it. I could never in my life wear them. I was at a grocery store, and I saw... I saw a young man that was wearing skinny jeans that he was not prepared to wear. Oh, no. I know. Oh, boy. I know. A little chubby? A little on the... Portly side. Yeah, a little bit. And I thought to myself how utterly cruel his parents are and his friends for not letting him know, I don't know, man, I don't know.
I don't know about those. But if everybody's wearing them in school, you know how school is. Yeah, you just try. Mike, now that you mention that, I've seen some chubby little goth kids in the little skinny jeans. Hey, they got the right to be goth, too. Have a ball. Under 18. Have a ball. Maybe wear some sweatpants. Maybe wear some sweatpants and be goth. Oh, yeah. Then you're the sweatpants, kid. Maybe be goth in some sweats. It's all about the black skinny jeans with guys. Bleens. Faded black. Faded bleens. And they're, like, dirty, usually. Maybe throw those in the wash. Maybe be goth in a pair of hammer pants. Zubaz. Do you remember Zubaz? Oh, yeah, I do. Zubaz, not Zubaz. Zubaz. Yeah, it was Zubas. Oh, for God's sake. Zubas. Zubas, I thought. What did he say earlier? Yeah, I believe they were called Zubas. Zubas. Prevacid. Prevacid. Yeah. Instead of Prevacid. Adel. That's right. Maybe don't worry about it. M1 Ashley from San Diego. Okay. I totally think that the day after you graduate high school, that if you're not a rocker, the skinny jeans need to go to Goodwill. Yep.
Nowadays, there's skinny jeans that come in every color of the rainbow. And all these guys are walking around looking like human rainbows out there. Yeah. M1 Oatman from Carlsbad, you have a pair of skinny jeans that I can borrow, you're saying? Yes. Yes, bring them in. I got a pair of purple skinny jeans that I wore for Halloween. Gosh. And when I went to Paris Hilton. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Brilliant costume. Oh, my gosh. Thank you. You're going to need to email me at woods at mikeyshow.com. We'll arrange it. You guys would throw up. Oh, no. I can't wait. From laughing. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I want to have him. Barney. I want to have him in a box with a sheet over it, and then we unveil it. I don't even want to see it. At the meet and greet. You guys will be like, oh, look, Snuffleupagus. Just so I can't wait. You can wear that jacket that you had growing up, the big purple jacket. Oh, my gosh. Do you still have that? Of course I don't still have that. Grimace. Grimace. Grimace. That's the purple guy. I can't wait. Yeah, email me and we'll make that right. I don't know that I could handle. You have to. The judging guys. The humiliation. Do it for the show. I'll do it with you. Do it for the M1s. I'll do it with you. Really? Six foot tall guy? Yeah, six foot tall fat. Woods will wear pink. All three of you guys. Hot pink. Jail it good.
Yeah, that's what isn't fair. That's what I'm saying. See, you guys wouldn't question Jay if you saw him watching. Yeah, he's just that tight. That's like some people can do it. Perfect. Yeah, what's it like over there in Perfectville, Jay? M1 Andrea, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Yeah, go ahead. What about the guys that wear ski jeans and try to sag them like the skaters? Oh, God. Try to sag? Yeah. What does that mean, sag? The top of the pants are halfway down their butt. And they're skinny jeans? Yeah. And they're kind of bunched up at the bottom. They're bunched up. They always have a belt on. Yeah. It's weird. I don't think I... They have a chain wallet, maybe. Yeah. Flannel shirt. I've never seen it. I don't think I've seen the sag. You've seen it. M1 Alex from Carlsbad. Hey, Woodsy. You're from Texas, right? Do you wear Wranglers? No, dude. Come on. Wrangler butts drive me nuts. I wear DJs, pal. You know that. Wrangler butts. Drive me nuts. Drive me nuts. In a good way? Save a horse, ride a cowboy. Oh, disgusting. In a good way, Sienna? No, it's a phrase. It's a song. Oh. What do I know? You're the most gullible person. Literally. She said they drive me nuts. You're like, do they genuinely drive you nuts? Like, do nuts actually pour out of your head? No. Or does it... I have a joke. Does he have more for me, or is he gone? No, he just wanted to know. I don't wear Wranglers while I work on a ranch? Do you ride...
Horses? Yeah, I save horses and ride cowboys. Save that clip. Do you want my joke? Yes. Pirate walks into the bar. He's got a steering wheel in his pants. Say, hey, why do you have a steering wheel in your pants? He goes, arr, it's driving me nuts. I think crickets is probably more appropriate for that joke. That's a great joke. For who? Kindergartener. It's driving me nuts. There is an eight-year-old driving off the road right now. Dying lapsing. There's an eight-year-old saying, I can't even drive this thing. I'm laughing so hard. M1 Chris from OB. Hey, how you guys doing? Good. What do you got for me? I love the show. You're just talking about skinny jeans. And, yeah, I never really understand why people are into it. Because for skateboarding, you know, when you're doing all those flippity tricks. It definitely helps to have skinny jeans. And that's why, you know, skateboarders started wearing women's pants in the first place. Is that the deal? That makes sense. I never understood why they used to wear those super baggy pants. There's always a reason for why things got started. That must be what it was. You want to hear my joke? Yeah. What's the hardest thing about skateboarding? What? Telling your parents you're gay. Okay. That was actually, that one was.
Stop it. It's not funny. It killed everybody in the studio. It killed everybody in the studio. It killed everybody in the studio. They're laughing right now. It did not kill everybody. They're laughing right now. Three people are laughing. Grateful Dead. Lauren's picks today. That was a little hippie girl. That's not funny in Southern California. It's not. Really? It's not. Bring it on. That's what I have to say to that. Bring the noise. I don't think you want the noise. Don't I? All of Southern California, just their frowns. Oh, no. I got that from the Sopranos, by the way. Thank you. I love it. Let's see. Wait until I tell you about the 20-year-old that survived a flight under a plane. This is great. We'll do it next. Oh, my God, it's better than I thought. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949 or shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com. More of The Mikey Show coming up in minutes.

McDonald's takes a little coffee magic ice... serious sweetness, then puts it on a blender and makes a delicious cup of perfection. Wow. In mocha or caramel flavors. Nice. I drop a straw through the whipped cream and chocolate or caramel drizzles, and suddenly, I'm on a fast train to Blissville. There room for two on that ride? McDonald's new sweet blended iced McCafe frappes, made with a hint of coffee and real whipped cream. Your day just got a little cooler and a whole lot sweeter. So how was your first train to Blissville? Sweet.
I'm thinking of making one more stop at the Caramel Station. At participating McDonald's. McDonald's and SeaWorld have teamed up to give you the summer's best discount on any single day admission. I like to grease the maitre d's from time to time. Lauren. Yellow means speed up. Yep. Yellow means hurry up and go. And Jay. I don't watch sports. I have nothing to do. Thanks for your input. I don't remember. I know I like the song. It's in my iTunes. Spinning it. You don't like it? I love it. Sorry, it's not JoJo. You love it like you love Dumb and Dumber? This weekend, pal. Oh, I'm watching it this weekend? You are. Dumb and Dumber? Mm-hmm. Bought it for you. At least you can do. Yep. Mocking. Yeah. Bird. Yeah. You already messed it up. I've seen it. It doesn't say mocking. It says mock.
Yeah. Yeah. Bird. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, watch it. Want to do it in Spanish now? Mm-mm. Okay. Mm-mm. Let's see. Oh, I want to tell you about Jared, our friend Jared, createyourdesignonline.com. Jared! If you're looking for logo design, if you're looking for website design, if you're looking for any of that, custom business cards, he will do it for you. Just go to createyourdesignonline.com. It's awesome. Let's see. Yeah, 20-year-old guy survived underneath a plane. How did that happen? This is nuts. A Romanian guy was willing to do whatever it took to get out of his country. He wanted to leave Vienna. This is nuts. So what did he do? He went in a Boeing 747 wheel well. Oh, my gosh. No way. Yes, it was a 97-minute flight to London. He didn't know where he was going. He snuck onto the runway of the Vienna International Airport, got under the first plane he saw, got in the wheel well, 97-minute flight, ended up at Heathrow Airport. That's some Wesley Snipes stuff, man. Isn't that nuts? Now, you know how weird the laws are and stuff. I wonder if he can stay there. I'm sure he got deported, right?
I don't know. They didn't say. It just says he apparently tumbled out of the wheel well once the aircraft landed, which is amazing that he wasn't crushed by the wheels after takeoff or thrown out of the plane when they were landing. Or what about the pressure? Yeah, being 40,000 feet in the air. Oh, my gosh. It's not pressurized. If anybody knows about that, call us because I want to know. How do you survive? Maybe he did the thing that you do. No, that wouldn't have worked. Like I was saying, pressurize like they do when you scuba dive. You hold your nose. You plug your nose. That's not going to work. That's not going to work, right? I wonder if it was a commercial airplane, though. Maybe it didn't go up as high. No, there was no passengers on it. Cargo. Yeah. So maybe it stays at a lower elevation, so the pressure's not as low. That's insane. You don't say it if you don't know it. He climbed into the rear undercarriage of this airliner. That's insane. And scary. Imagine just chilling, like, is that right by the wheel? Yeah, not only that, you know the other thing? I bet it was freezing cold. Freezing cold. Absolutely. More than an hour and a half. You're just chilling there. Literally. It's summer there, though. Let him stay. But the higher up you go, the colder it gets, right? Yeah, I would let him stay. Let him stay. Risk his life. He's going to just keep doing all kinds of other crazy stuff. I wonder if he brought money with him and stuff. Well, you say that, though, but what about the...
People come over on the rafts and stuff. Well, I'm saying this guy like went above and beyond, literally above and beyond. That's crazy. Insane that he did. Okay, we got new movies that are out this weekend. What do we got? The big ones, The A-Team. Oh, yeah. Must miss. Well, here's the thing. Woodsy says that he is way out on it. I haven't even seen a commercial for it. You never watched the show, though, did you? Nope. I watched the show, and I couldn't be more out. See, Todd really wanted to see it until he saw the previews. Yeah, I guess the previews look real terrible. And who's the mate? Mr. T, right? Yeah, it's Quentin Rampage Jackson, man. Yeah, I guess Mr. T is out on it, too. Here is Rampage as BS. No gliders, paper planes, ultralights. Are you ever going to let me live that down? No. Mexico was a long time ago, and I saved your life. How about thanking me for not whooping your ass at that hospital? I was an Airborne Ranger until I met you. And you're chickened out just like... Oh, that sounded weird. Oh, man. They have just a box of Oscars ready to give away for that one? Uh-oh. That is awful. Why don't we get Rampage in the studio, and I can tell him in person. I can critique his performance in person. 263 jumps. Just a thank you would have been nice. And one helicopter ride with you screws it up. Airborne Ranger with a fear of fine.
He sounds like he's reading off of a piece of paper. Yeah, he probably is. Teleprompter right in front of me. Holy cow. Lauren's like, maybe we bring him in. And I read some sides with him. Yeah, I can give him some private acting lessons. At my house. In my home. In my private home. Yeah. Maybe I teach him how to make that right. Another one of the big movies coming out today is The Karate Kid, another remake. This is Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son, and Jackie Chan. Everybody's... Out on that. I was really out on it, and now I'm kind of in. I'm kind of in in a weird way. First of all, how good was he in Pursuit of Happiness? It's a talented little kid. Yeah, he was being a cute little boy, but now he's being a corn road karate kid. He's learning kung fu, and they call it the karate kid. I know, but he does some kind of cool moves. Oh, my God. Just tell you a listen. Out on your kid actors. Flow with my movement. Connect to the energy around me. I kind of just want to learn the Cobra thing. Cobra takes a lifetime. Requires great focus. Well, I have great focus. All right, I'm out. Mikey, for sure. Is there an original thought these days? An original thought. I get what you're saying. I guess I'd be okay with remakes. I'm not necessarily out on an idea of a remake, but this is... What has been a good remake? Let's see.
I've done some alright remakes. For instance. Cape Fear. Did they redo Cape Fear? That was badass. Cape Fear. That was a good one. That was badass. There's a few. Anything else? Was that good? Oh, yeah. I didn't see it. That was true. That's true. Italian Job's an old one. Casino Royale. Ocean's Eleven. Isn't that a remake? Ocean's Eleven. Casino Royale. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Maybe I'm wrong. How's that foot taste? Delicious. I'm not necessarily out on. on the idea of a remake, but sometimes you can't remake movies that are too big. That was a big, big movie. And, like, if we even saw previews now for The Karate Kid, we'd be like, really? Like, the old one. It's just kind of like, it fit its time and its genre, and when those kinds of movies were coming out, now it's like, really? And you know... All the movies we just mentioned were really old movies that were remade. I mean, Karate Kid, we saw when we were little kids. It's not that old. Well, that's probably who they're geared for. They're probably not trying to come to us to get us to go see it. They're probably getting the kids to go. They think the parents will be like, oh, I loved it. You'll love it. Jasper probably. He likes the animated still. So there's probably like a 10-year-old that they're looking at. Hey, M1 Stringbean from Oceanside has info on the plane and surviving the altitude. Nice.
Good morning. Nice. Whoa. as much until you hit about 15,000 feet. Add another 30,000 feet on top of that, it's bad. I'm not saying it's a holiday, but it's not as bad. It's still tolerable. When what we learned at my job is anything over 45,000 feet can start to crush an egg. Wow.
Oh, my gosh. That guy's lucky that he was on such a short flight, an hour and a half. He didn't know what plane he was getting on. I mean, the guy has to be a pretty strong dude. I've never done it, but there are some flights that will go as high as like 60,000 feet. No, really? And when you fly that high, when you look out the window, you can see darkness. You see blue, and then as you look up, you can see darkness. That's badass. Because you're right on the edge. That's crazy. I was going to say, when I skydived, I jumped from 14,000. So it was probably right before that pressure change happens. Did you like skydiving? Oh, I loved it. But I was just thinking, like, as he was saying that, I'm like, yeah, they opened the doors. And I jumped, like, it wasn't like my head exploded when they opened the doors, obviously. I would have been okay with it if I wasn't chubby and had testicles. Depressed. I'm depressed. You were very depressed that day. What does it have to do with testicles? When the chute opens. Oh, dear. It holds the parachute opens, and you go, and it cinches up. Yeah, ladies like it. Is that normal? It hurts. It didn't happen to me. Well, it hurt me. Maybe you had it on wrong. You don't have testicles, Lauren. Yeah, but I have an area. I know, but it's different. I didn't feel anything. It's different. Definitely different. Didn't like it. That's weird. Wouldn't do it again.
That was why. There's a lot of guys that do it, though. You'd think there'd be something different. Well, you know. M1 Brad from Mission Valley. Yes. By the way, first and foremost, love the new show, Mikey. Thank you, bro. Been a big fan for years. Thank you. No, I watched the other night some clips on the new Karate Kid movie, and they absolutely bashed a classic movie. They destroyed it. It's a shame. I recommend to anybody, any other M1s out there, don't go waste your money on it. It's Will Smith's son. He's only like 11. Maybe he needs to go back to school. I haven't heard one person say, this looks great. Everybody thinks that it just looks kind of cheesy. It's going to be, but it's not for us. It's for younger kids, like Jay said. Remember the bit in Karate Kid where he's like... Paint the fence, sand the floor. In this one, I literally saw Jackie Chan go, put on jacket. So he has to do the move. No, it looks cool. Put on jacket. Put on jacket. Put on jacket. Put on jacket. Yeah, like the move. I know. And he's blocking punches. Putting on a jacket. No, man. You're through the fence. I put a hot stick in my eye before I go see that movie. I promise you. I'll go see it. Holy cow. Can I put the hot stick in there? You can. You have a mouse at your house? I think so.
I'd move out. I think so. It's awful. Mom, we have a mouse in our house. It's so awful. How do you think that? Why? When I came home yesterday, I walked in and my dog's there greeting me. Wait, wait, wait. I need the right music for this, Sienna. Okay. I knew it. I knew it. So it's like for me. My dog is there greeting me. I'm like, hi, Zip. How's it going, Zipper? And she, like, seriously was like. Hey, listen to me. I got something to show you. I'm like, what's going on? What's wrong, Zipper? She goes over by the washer and dryer. There's a little sniffing her out. I'm like, what's going on, Zip? I get on my hands and knees. Yeah, I get on my hands and knees. I'm looking around, looking around. I don't see anything. But I do see some food crumbs under there. And little meisters. Pellets. Little. Mouse turds. Little tiny, tiny, tiny drops. First thing I do. Move out. You moved out. You packed your bags and moved out. I called Todd. What did he say? Todd! Todd said, oh no, really? And I said, yeah, he said, it's okay, I'll set some traps. Did he? Oh, boy.
He didn't last night, no, because the Lakers were on and he had better things to do. How'd you sleep last night? Worrying about your poor pregnant wife was terrified. The mouse is going to crawl out of her face. I'll tell you, man, I worked at a radio station one time that had a mouse issue and they put those sticky traps. Yeah. Dude, let me tell you what's so awful about the sticky traps. Oh. What do you think happens when they get caught in there? They're alive. Yeah, they're just stuck. There's no worse sound in the world. than a mouse. My parents have a mouse problem. They live like kind of in the woods and they put peanut butter on the truck. I guess it really attracts them. Yeah, they like peanut butter and cheese. Peanut butter and cheese combined and they would have those things and I used to freak out because you'd find them. My mom thought it was like a bit to get a fake one and put it like in my bed when I come home and find it. Oh, my gosh. I'm afraid of rodents. And when I was in rehab at Betty Ford, a guy that I was in there with, he's a super funny guy named Ryan, thought it would be hysterical to, when his girlfriend visited, bring a fake rat with her so that he could put it in my shower. Yeah, she would do that, too, all around the house. So open the shower and there was a rat. Did you die? Oh, yeah, dude. I screamed like a 12-year-old girl. I screamed. Recreate it.
Heard me throughout the whole place. I'm so bummed out. I could hear him down the hall laughing. Like down the hall, all the way down the hall. That's a good one. You know what's fun to do with those sticky traps? What? You just put them underneath somebody's desk right where they sit down. So when you get them on your shoe. They are impossible. We had mice when we first moved into this house a year ago. And there was like a few of them because we were remodeling and there was doors open all the time. It was like the summer. It was hot. So they go in there and we put like the real traps that get them and their bodies stiffen up. The tail goes straight out and it freezes. And I came home and the first one I ever saw, I was like, and I just left and went to my parents and waited till I got home. I was like, I'm not looking at this. happened at my house if we had him. Jamie would have to do him at my house. I don't know what I would do. Maybe I'd get a cat. Yeah, for sure. Ben Roethlisberger went on WTAE TV in Pittsburgh. This is everywhere today. In your April 12th statement.
You said you were not going to talk about the incident on March 5th in Milledgeville, Georgia. But DVDs have now come out. DVDs? What is she talking about? Of the accuser. They did video and put them out on DVDs. Not like you're not going to buy them, but the police. She had someone interview her. I think the cops have taken video and they've put them out. Oh, wow. The accuser. Have you seen them? No, I haven't seen them. Do you have anything to say now that this is all out? Well, from day one, I would love nothing more than to be able to tell my side of the story, to let everybody know what really happened and didn't happen. But because of the legal things in Reno still, I've been advised by lawyers and attorneys that, you know, I just can't say anything. But I've been, you know, chomping at the bit to be able to tell my side of the story. And Mikey, the Reno scenario is the other woman that accused him of rape. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So you can't talk about it. This is him sort of explaining how this all began. What was the turning point with your father? I mean, they must have wondered who you were. You know what? I got so caught up. I've made a lot of mistakes. I mean, I was immature. I was young. I was dumb. I'm from a small town that got thrown into Pittsburgh, which I know isn't a huge city. But when you talk about football, it's a huge city.
When I came here, I didn't... I don't think that's indicative of hurting a woman, though. How? My heart's bleeding for him right now. Just bleeding. I mean, because you're from a small town doesn't mean that you go to a big town and the pressure... Hopefully that's not what he's talking about. I don't know what he's talking about, but hopefully that's not it. Let's see where he's going. You know what to expect? I was... Kind of a lost kid in a big city. Oh, country mouse, city mouse bit. Yeah, Derek Jeter's from Kalamazoo, Michigan, and is the king of New York City, and you've never read about him doing anything like that, ever. I kind of got thrown in, you know, the first season with all the games I had to play, and we won all the games, and all of a sudden I became on the field, I became Big Ben. And win Super Bowls. And also Ben Roethlisberger, who my parents raised, and, you know, the Christian, the family, friends are important, and being nice to people, whatever. And as the next year we won the Super Bowl and so on and so forth, I got caught up becoming Big Ben the whole time. I lost track of who Ben Roethlisberger was. And it's not something I'm proud of. I've made mistakes. I know I have. But I was immature. I didn't know any better. He says Christian and my heart goes, oh, no. Why? Because I go, now everybody's going to hear that. And they're going to go, really? With that bit? I mean.
Honestly, I buy into what he's saying. I've seen it happen to people. You get half the celebrities. Yeah, you get chewed up and spit out once you reach a certain level. If you don't stay level-headed, look out. But does that mean... You can go rape some girls. No, it doesn't mean that. No, he's definitely saying, look, I made mistakes. Doesn't mean that those are the mistakes he's talking about. He means, like, probably going to those places in the first place. Being in the wrong place. Like, he's not implicating himself in that, but he's saying, like, okay, you're bit, Mikey. You know who doesn't get accused on those charges? The guy that doesn't put himself in that situation. Here's the weird thing, though. He got in trouble in Reno and then, you know. Did it again. Because he thought he was invincible. Well, see, Woods, you're 100% that he did this. And, I mean, I just, I don't know. I'm not 100%, but the old smoke, there's fire bit is pretty tough to argue. And, hey, I did a little more research, and I've looked at a lot of things that said that this guy was, he's been rough, I'm just going to say rough around the edges for a while since his days at Miami of Ohio.
You know, man, it's, hey, you're talking to king screw up number one, numero uno. Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. I'm not throwing stones at the guy at all. I'm not. But, you know, until it comes out that he actually did rape somebody. But, man, you know, it's hard to feel sympathetic for somebody that's like, yeah, my rookie year I had to play and I had to start and play in all these games. I mean, I was making millions of bucks. I think. I mean, I feel so bad for you, dude. He's trying to say he lost his head. He did. He's trying to say that he considered himself no longer Ben Rothberger, but Big Ben. In his eyes, he was Big Ben, you know? See, I think that if he's guilty of something for sure, it's bad judgment. He's guilty for sure. Oh, he is 100% guilty of poor judgment. And he's coming out and saying, hey, I was a big D. I let the stardom get to my head, and I made some really bad decisions. Talks about his dad. I got so caught up. This is... this has brought me back to being ben roethlisberger i sat um on my dad's place on the property my parents place and um we sat there and my dad about a month ago said to me he said uh it's good to have my son back and uh you know that was that killed me i mean that was because my dad is probably my best friend and so for him to say that to me really you know let me know that i i wasn't
Who he raised me to be. Hey, how come interview now? Why interviews now? Because the season's about to start. Season's about to start, and he's got six-game suspension that could be reduced to four. That doesn't hurt. Yeah. He says he doesn't think he has a problem with booze. Did alcohol play a role in this? Do you have an alcohol problem, Ben? No, I don't. You know what? I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, and I've said that, and I ask for forgiveness for my mistakes. I've done dumb things, and I know that. But you know what? A lot of things that I've done and those chapters in my life, I've closed that book, and I'm not opening them up. It only matters what I do from here on out now. And that's what I'm excited about is showing people, improving to people, fans, my teammates, my family, the commissioner, everybody that who Ben Roethlisberger is and that Ben is here to stay because those things that have happened to me are just a chapter of my life that I've closed and I'm not looking back at.

She doesn't like it. She don't like it when it kicks in. We've done this. We've heard this before. So much better. I like them both. Hey, great lyrics. I don't like the delivery. I like them both. I know why he doesn't like it. Why? Because... This is partly true. Because Woodsy in Texas played in this cover band and someone came up to him and said, Derek, can you play Talking Heads? Can you play some Talking Heads? Yeah, they sound really good acoustic, pal.
Is that what you played? No, I didn't play. I was like, no, I'm not playing Talking Heads. They just did it acoustic. You were in an acoustic band, and you were like, no, I'm not going to do that. No, I'm not playing. You want to play some Cars, too, while we're at it? Think outside of the box. Maybe not. I love it. Oh, hey, Mike. Yeah? It's M1 Saxman's 21st birthday. We all know Ted. Ted First Class Gabbard. The guy's got a million nicknames. It's turning 21 tomorrow. We also call him M1 Sugar Butt. Why do we tell him? I don't call him that. Lauren does. Lauren does. Who does? Sienna. Sienna does. You know that. M1 Sugar Butt. He's got a nice butt. What can you say? Happy birthday, pal. Happy birthday. Be careful. That's right. Don't drink too much. Jay? Is Jay there? Hi, Jay. Jay, tell the story about your... The buddy of yours that's going to be quitting the company or the boss is quitting the company? Yeah, he's got a boss. My buddy's got this boss. And as the boss is getting ready to leave, no one really knows except it's my buddy that works there. And he says that the boss is getting everything, all the contacts, a lot of the programs, I mean, all kinds of stuff. And the boss keeps telling him, hey, be cool, don't say anything, and I'll bring you across with me.
And he's asking me, what do you think? What if he doesn't take me with him? And here I am left with this mess. Because they're going to know that he knows. Will they know he knows? They know he knows. Will they know that he knows? That they know that he knows. Follow your nose. You know what I think of that? First of all, I go, I don't think you want to go with him. Because he's shady. Because he's shady. That's what I say too. Okay, but now that that's out there. and maybe you don't want to go with him, what do you do? Do you rat him out? Yeah, if it's going to really affect your job, sure. Maybe you say, hey, you're in this one alone, pal. But he's not. He's dragging you. But you don't have to be like, look, I don't want to. He's not dragging you out of the company, but what he is doing is he's dragging you into bad. Unethical. No, not even the ethical part. Yeah, it is, but it's also dragging you into, okay, so he leaves and like Jay said, Now you're like, great, everything's all, I don't have all the stuff that you took. You took all this stuff that I need if I'm understanding it right. You're dragging our company down. They'll still have copies of it for sure. But I mean, the boss is making copies of all this stuff that he's going to take over to it. It's kind of a competing company. But my only thing is. It's illegal to me. Yeah, it does. Well, and I'm not saying who it is. But my only thing is, is that the company that these people work for.
is horrible to his people. Yeah. So it's almost to the point where you're like, hmm. Like he wants to get out. Yeah, he would love to get out. And so this is kind of like an open window, like, oh, come with me. Dude's shady, though. Yeah, it's like. You go with him, and you're working for a shade monster, a shade mobile. Go get out, start your own company. That's quite a conundrum. I'm sure he's been working for him for a while, and, you know, he sees shady stuff, and maybe he was a cool boss, and they got along great, and he's like, look. presenting him with great opportunities. And the company right now is not so great. So I don't know. But what if, what if, and just devil's advocate, what if he takes all that info and goes, we just don't have a spot for you over here now, man. Then you're screwed. And that's what he's kind of thinking. Then you're stuck with the mess. You're stuck with the mess and the turd company just got all its leads stolen from him. And then, you know, the treats its employees bad. And then your boys across the street wreck a shop. You're trusting, you're trusting a shady dude. Yeah. To, like, be good for his word. To make it right for you. Yeah. But the thing with, if they're your...
That's why I have a hard time with those non-competes when you're doing sales and stuff like that. It's like, well, they're my clients. They're your clients. They like me. They like the rep, whatever. I tell you, when I left my company, the last place I was at, and they're probably listening, is that I grabbed all my contacts. I emailed them to myself. You've made business acquaintances. You've networked yourself. Sometimes they're buying because you have the best product around, but sometimes they like dealing with you. The companies that I endorsed at the old station, same bit, you know, I mean, I really believed in those companies and believe in those companies. So would love to do that. You know what I mean? Now, if you have an agreement that says, well, you can't and you're not allowed and you never can, then that's the agreement you have. If you have an agreement that says you can't do it for this amount of time, but then you can after this amount of time, that's the agreement. Yeah. Anybody that's ever worked in a building where they do radio, there's non-competes in sales. There's non-competes in frigging promotions. There's non-competes everywhere, man. And with the jocks, too. I mean, there's just certain things you can and can't do. Sounds like this guy making copies of stuff is pretty shady. We interrupt this.
broadcast to bring you M1 Maiden fan from a small pub in La Mesa where he's watching the World Cup. Yes. M1 Maiden fan, what's the score? 1-1 draw. Mexico saved Grace. Got the point. They needed desperately. They tied the match with 12 minutes left. And the home country, South Africa, almost scored a goal with two minutes left. But Mexico did well. Gracias. I am at the, it's called the Hearth House, and I do believe it's going to be open next Friday in the morning again. I'll let you know. It's a nice little pub here. I said thank you. I didn't ask where you were. I got to help out a buddy who's helping us out, so cheers. Okay, cool. Cheers. Cheers to you, bro. Salud. Run to the hills, I'm not a main fan. Wow. Never heard that. No. For me. It's nice. I like it. I was thinking that. So the Americans play tomorrow. We don't play today, right? Sure. Tomorrow. As far as you know. Mañana. Mañana. I knew you understand that. Yeah, I understand that better. They play Mañana. Mañana. Yeah, they play England. Really? Yeah. We're going to get smeared. 100%. Right? Yeah.
I don't know anything. I know we're playing. And you know that. That's what they do, you know? So wait, if David Beckham goes, does he play for the U.S. or does he play for England? He plays for England, but he's hurt. I asked him last night because he's the other soccer player I know. They've got to play probably a lot of guys that are on Manchester United. Right, right. No easy could be doing that. They grow up playing football. Football. 570-1949 is our number. If I got plastic surgery, I'd get a nose job. I actually saw a plastic surgeon one time. He felt my nose and he said, I think the skin is too thick on your nose. I don't think you're a good candidate. And I just sat there. Really? Thanks for meeting with me, pal. Can I buy you lunch? We have an hour left. Can I buy you lunch? Anything? What do we do? Bad scars or something like that? I guess I have a rhino's nose. I don't know what it is. It's rhino skin. Yeah, rhino skin. Oh, man. It's called rhinoplasty. They should be able to cut through it. They're like, hey, listen, you have elephant tusk. We can't cut into that thing. It's illegal. First of all, it would be harvesting ivory that we can't afford the fines. You don't even have a bad nose. I know. What's wrong with your nose? Every time somebody says...
I want to get such and such worked on. Your natural reaction as a loving friend is to go, no, I need it. No, sometimes they need it. Some people will be like, yeah, if I were you, I'd get that. Yeah. I had a, hey, listen, I had a girl. What's case in point? What? Woodsy, Woodsy, I had a girl tell me one time. Make that right, L-O-B. Really? See? Jerk. He just looked at the breasts and said, make that right, L-O-B. He didn't give me a loving, you don't need that. He goes, why don't you make that right? Make it right for everybody. Make it right for yourself. No. No. Make it right. I had a girl in the parking lot of the old radio station, an old friend of mine. She gave me a hug. She was leaving. She goes, I'm going to tell you something that I really think will help. Oh, gosh. No, she did not. I swear to you. I swear to you. That is awful. She goes, I think that if you got a nose strap. She was from New Jersey, too. She goes, I think that if you got a nose job, it would change everything. Holy cow. I really do. I really think it. And I remember at the time going, holy cow, she just told me. It would be like a dude going, I really think that you should get some boobs. No, it would be like a dude saying, I really think you should get a nose job. Yeah, right? We both have them. Yeah.
That's crazy. Okay, the people that should get it, they know if they obviously have it. Nobody should get it. Well, if you have a deviated septum, then maybe it'll help you breathe. What if you have a big fat nose like I do? Don't worry about it. What if you have a perfect nose like mine? No. You do have a pretty perfect nose. He does. You know why? Did you get a nose job? Uh-huh. What? Are you kidding me? Because he got in a fight and it was crushed. I got mugged by three guys. In Chicago. I had no idea. Oh, kick my face in. No, I know that you got mugged, but I didn't know. He said that before. I said it. You don't listen very well. I got my face kicked in. Wait, wait, wait. I know that you said that you got your nose busted up and that they had to do surgery on your nose. Yeah. What I didn't know. Nose job. Did you say while you're in there, make it right? While you're doing it, make it nice and gorgeous? I mean, they did a good job. I mean, they just did it. It looked different before? Uh-huh. Wow. Dude, what did it look like? Do you have pictures? Yeah, I have pictures. Because Woods does have a... It was that big. No, I'm just kidding. No, you know if you have a beak on you. A beak? Mikey, if you can smoke a cigarette in the rain without your cigarette getting wet, then you probably need a nose job. Maybe you get it taken care of. I had a friend in high school, and she had... A beak.
A large nose. Stop it. She had a large nose. She had a large nose. I'm not saying that was anything wrong. She had a large nose. Okay, fine. I'm just saying, observationally, she had a large nose. Very, very large presence. It was huge. My niece, Jennifer, who now is 25. You guys have met her. At the time, she was like four years old. Oh, geez. Oh, boy. And... What I'm about to tell you, by the way, what I'm about to tell you is one of the biggest reasons I've never been comfortable around kids. The reason I've never been comfortable around kids, I'm always petrified they're going to go, you're short and fat. Oh, boy. Because kids say whatever's on their mind. Kids say whatever comes to their mind. You're a very unattractive Hispanic, so I'm always thinking that they're going to say or do. You have a zit on your face? What's that? What is that? Daddy, the bathroom is all stinky. Right. That happens in a store all the time. You hear a parent go, because she wants to do that. Exactly. Hang on. So we go over to my house. My niece is there visiting. This girl's name was Jessica. Oh, poor Jessica. And Jen, my niece, sat on her lap and said, it was dead silent. Oh, gosh. I'm going to throw up.
you have a big giant nose. And it was, and I'll never forget her response. She smiled and she goes, I know. Oh, I would say the same thing. It was, it was the skeeviest, most uncomfortable. I mean, you could have heard a pin drop in that room after she's, oh, yeah. What else would you say other than I know, though? Because I would say I know, I guess. Oh, that's not very nice. You could say that. No, but you don't want to say it because then it draws even more attention. If you say I know and you kind of laugh about it, then everyone's like, oh. You could say, oh, that's not very polite. Oh, that's awful. It's not her kid, man. No, yeah. That's even weirder. She doesn't know her nose is big. She doesn't know. She knows her nose is big. Little girls, maybe they don't know that you're not supposed to say that. If I was at your house and Jake goes, Uncle Woods, you're fat and white. I'd be like, you got it, kid. If I was sitting there, I would say, Jake, you don't. You could. I could. What if I was like, Jake, that is not very funny. Do it. Do it. Woodsy. Woodsy. Woodsy.
If I happen to be, you know, out of the room getting some horchata or something. As you often are. Just rolling a tortilla. Some frijoles. If Jake said something like that, I would hope. Never. Dude. Never. I would never either. Wait. I don't want you to discipline him like, you know. punish him. No, but I wouldn't even, I wouldn't even snap at him or Jasper and I went to get yogurt. He was like, I was like, Hey dude, hold my hand. Cause I don't want you running out into Encinitas Boulevard. You know what I mean? And he was like, and I was like, dude, hold my hand. You know? And I felt even a little weird about that. Kids expect you to help them stay in line. I'm not saying discipline, but I would, dude, I would not mind at all. If you said to Jake, Jake, that is not very polite. See, if no one else was there, then I would probably say that. But if it was in a room full of people, I would never be like, yeah, don't say that. Because it would be embarrassing for you. And I wouldn't even, if it was Jake that said it, I wouldn't even want you to really say anything to him. Just be like, bud, no, not that. And then you talk to him about it later. Like, never in front of the whole crowd. If you had to correct him, then you couldn't, hey, Mike, I just wanted to pull you aside and say.
Jake just told me that I have giant jugs. Jake just squeezed on my boobs. Jake, how was it? Hey, how uncomfortable would this be? How uncomfortable would this be? Jake, yes, Cynthia has a gigantic nose. That is correct. That's right, Jake. But when someone has a gigantic nose, it's not very polite to point out. You'd be sitting there as that person going, please stop, please stop, please stop, please stop, please stop. If you do have a gigantic nose and it is a situation where kids will point it out, usually you're pretty aware of it. Yeah. Yeah, you can joke about it. And if you're self-conscious about it to where you can't joke about it, then go ahead and get it fixed if it's going to make you feel better. Because if you can't joke about it. Oh, my gosh. No. If you can't joke about it. Like, everyone has their imperfections. If you can't joke about it, then, you know, make it right. Question, Woods. Yeah. Would you be?
upset if i was with your kid and i and i said that's not very nice yes you would okay well i won't then well you can do it to my dogs well You know what I'm saying? If I walked, if you were like, hey, that's not very nice. I'd be like, yeah, dude. No, you wouldn't. Yeah, I won't. No, I won't. But I would want you to do that with Jake. I want you to teach. I mean, that's what we have to do. We got to teach kids. You would walk in guaranteed and you'd be like, well, what did he do? And because you would be like, oh, did he say something? I don't know. I'm skeeved out with other people's kids and stuff. You know that. Maybe once you have your own, you'll be like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It takes a village. Yeah, yeah, for sure. Because you know that they're up to no good a lot and they don't mean it. But you know that. The kids do things, and they have to be taught, or else they don't learn. I got you. If I got them by the collar and up against the wall, they'd not listen to me. Say it! Say it! So did she ever get a nose job, by the way?
No. She didn't? Good for her. Good for her. I don't like it when girls get nose jobs. No. They're pretty with, I think they're more exotic with their crazy noses. More exotic. Yeah, they're beautiful and they look like Carl Malden. Yeah, great. Jennifer Grey. Exotic like a toucan. Jennifer Grey from Dirty Dancing. Oh, she got a nose job. She got a nose job and she couldn't get any more work after that. But she hadn't done any. She didn't look like the same person. But she hadn't done really any work since. day off after that. She's come out and said that. People would be like, no, no one's going to know that you were the chick from Dirty Dancing. You don't look like her. She looks better in the mirror, I'll tell you that. I don't think so. But I don't even really think she is one of those people with a crazy nose. Some people you know if they have a crazy nose. But that's the thing. People have a distorted self-image of themselves. So if they think they have this crazy... And then they're like, I'm not comfortable with it, so I have to get a nose job. Where are you with this plastic surgery stuff, L.O.B.? I personally wouldn't go under elective surgery just because of the risk involved, you know? Because you don't, whatever the risk is, you don't want any part of it. Yeah, because there's, you know. What if there was no risk? If there was no risk, maybe. I'd maybe. What would you do? Get some chesticles. What? There you go. Really? There you go. Maybe.
Like, if they could just go plop and plop, you'd be in. So by maybe you mean, oh, I'd absolutely get a boob job. No, not absolutely, because I don't know if I'm okay with, like, changing my image just to, like, make myself feel better. But I'd like to, like, if I could do a trial run and be like, I actually do feel better. Well, can't you? It's called Kleenex. Yeah, and you can take them out, too. Can't they take them out? No. Well, yeah, but you don't want to go through all that. That's a nightmare, yeah. I mean, couldn't you just get... No, it's not the same thing. They have water bra. They have all kinds of things you can get. I can put some balloons filled with pudding in my bra if I want to. They did that. What flavor? Girls do that. That doesn't count. Do you have pudding? What would you get? Me? Yeah. A reduction. The rate things are going right now, being pregnant, I'm going to get a reduction. Really? What a waste. They're supposed to get bigger once the baby gets here. What a waste, man. It's not like I'm going to be like an A or anything. I'm going to make it right, but they don't need to be like out of control. But they'll go back down. I'd like a breast reduction. I would like a breast reduction and a penile reduction. You know that. Really? It's twice today. It's had to be done. Twice. There's got to be like a moratorium on how much. Should there be? Yeah, should there be? Should there be?
My back's killing me. And all my crotches of my jeans are ripping out. Okay. My back's killing me from carrying this around. That's right. Are you hip sore? I don't want to, like, sound like how he is. Like, you can joke about it, but, like, for me to say, a breast correction, girls are like, oh, God, please, you know? And I just want to, you know, clarify that, like, it runs in my family for health reasons. Like, it's, you know, I'm not getting it to be like, oh, my boobs are huge. Like, I don't want to do that. Well, they are. Yeah. Your back, like, hurt, literally. It hurts. Sienna's like, will you pound on my back this morning? No, like, I feel like I'm carrying three babies in front of me right now. She is. I don't know how you... girls do that. And it's hard. Can you imagine if we were to wear the prosthetic belly and the prosthetic boobs and just to see what it would have to be like? I don't want to imagine it. I want you to do it. There are stores that I can no longer shop at because they don't carry my size. Just in a bra though and it's like, man, it's a bummer. You want to wear cute ones and stuff and it's hard now. Is that Morrissey?
Let me hear it, Woodsy. That's gorgeous. That's two songs in a row. Hey, there's a, this is a, such a strippy story. And this is, you're going to know this place. This is not like a random place. I had the rat pill on FM 94.9. Dead Weather? Dead Weather, yeah. Have you seen the documentary? Oh, my God. Is it real good? Oh, my God. It's good, right? It's so good. Is that the one with Clapton in it, too? No, no. It's Jimmy Page. It's The Edge from U2, and it's Jack White. And you'll watch Jack White make a guitar out of a log and a bottle and a string. Yeah. And it sounds better than you or I could do on a $1,000 guitar. That is really cool when people do that. When people have that kind of mind where they can put stuff like that together. He's literally a mad scientist. I tried to build Frankenstein out of rocks when I was five. Doesn't surprise me. I tried to make a guitar with rubber bands and a tissue box. You did? It's pretty good, actually. It was? Yeah. Did you make it up or did you see it somewhere? I made it up. Did it work?
Yeah, because I did one string and I taped it over the hole and it was like boing. So then I was like different. I was trying with different lengths. I was trying to replicate. Really? That's pretty solid, L.O.B. I bet it has a cool sound. It was. That's cool. That's Jack White-esque. Yeah. Very good. Sienna, did you ever build a dollar bill or anything like that? Those were given to me. I used to make diamonds out of emeralds. I did. I was a clever, clever girl. Let's see. So what cemeteries may have misidentified or misplaced people? Oh, a real small one called Arlington National Cemetery. Yeah. Army Secretary John McHugh announced this yesterday that an investigation has found that potentially hundreds of remains at Arlington National Cemetery have been misidentified or misplaced. That's horrible. Yeah, I guess. employees were relying on paper records to manage dozens of burials each week and maintain the thousands of existing grave sites. So, you know, paper, having a million papers lying around isn't...
Exactly the most reliable thing these days. So the Army Secretary, you know, made a big apology yesterday. And the Army Inspector General, who's leading the investigation, says they can't say how old the possibly misplaced remains might be or from what conflict. So families, as you can imagine, are very upset. Of course. If they thought they knew exactly where. Voter turnout in California was really, really bad. And Leno was talking about it. Voter turnout here in California, all-time historic low. In fact, the polling place near my house had so few people that it actually turned into a blockbuster video store. That's how bad it is. So two people. Nobody went. Nobody went and voted. I barely knew. I mean, we didn't know any of those things that we're voting on. I didn't know until it was on Facebook day of. I voted. Yeah, right. Did not. Yes, I did. Don't lie. You voted for American Idol or something. Did I? Hey, Sienna. Yeah. What was the deal? You were watching The Sandlot the other day. Oh, yes. I noticed one of those moments in movies that wasn't supposed to be in the movie, you know, like a secret scene. Well, the main kid, Smalls. You're killing me, Smalls. You're killing me, Smalls. Well, Smalls is...

And he does. He catches it. Right. However, you see that the ball was already in his mitt before the hit. And the real ball that came was on the ground next to him. So he had a ball in his mitt and a ball in the ground. Oh, wow. Yeah. Weird. Yeah. How do they not catch that stuff? There's a million of them, man. It was real quick. You know Bullet? Yeah. You ever see the movie Bullet? Steve McQueen. There's a scene where he turns the corner and all his hubcaps fly off. Yeah. You can see it. They're like rolling down the street. Next scene, he's blasting down the street. His hubcaps are on. Really? They do it a lot with like someone's hair will be wet in one scene. The next one is dry and then again. It's inconsistencies. The breakup. Remember the movie The Breakout? Yeah, with Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. Vince Vaughn is fighting with Jen Aniston, and he's got the Vaughn hair like mine, and it's up. Next scene, he's sitting at the bar, and he's got a Caesar. Yeah. The very next scene, and he's in the same clothes. Hair's got the Caesar. Yeah. It's so weird. You're like, whoa. Happy Gilmore is the same thing. They've got a car goes out on the course. It shows the scene, a couple scenes before the car goes out on the course, and it's already crashed into the tower that the judges are sitting in.
No way. Before it actually is supposed to crash. It never even shows up on the... Jay, I have seen that movie no less than 300 times, and I've never noticed that. Yeah, you'll notice it. I can't wait. I noticed it the first time I saw it, and then every time it comes on TV, and I'm thinking, did they not go back and correct it? Yeah. I can't wait. My brother-in-law pointed out when to Todd and I, we were watching Back to the Future 3. And at the very, you guys have seen Back to the Future, right? Maybe not 3. I have the first one. But the very end of the movie, Doc is coming in on a train. And Michael J. Fox is there with his girlfriend. And Doc has two kids with him. And he introduces his two kids to Michael J. Fox. And one of the little boys does like a come here with his hands. Like he points to come here and points to his little piece. No. Yes, points right. And he's like a five-year-old little kid. Like, come here. Point to the piece. You had to go potty. And I think that's his way of telling the director, I need to go potty, but they didn't cut it out. And you see this little kid obviously like, come here with his hand. Right. I got to go potty. He's pointing to his job. That's hysterical. No way. Yeah, gosh. This is not the same deal, but on the cover of Little Mermaid, the guy who was doing the illustration for it. I've actually heard of this. Yeah. The guy who was doing the illustration for it was getting shafted on hours or something. Literally.
So he drew a very phallic thing on the front. It doesn't look like a castle if you look at it really closely. Now, I've actually heard that a lot about the illustrators. Yeah. You guys in the studio, anybody in the studio heard any of these inconsistencies in the movies and all that stuff? I was on The Lion King when, I think it's the grown-up Simba, he flops down on the cave, I mean on the cliff, and it's like smoke blows up, and it spells out the words in the clouds. No way. Really? You know about the big scene, too, with The Little Mermaid, right? Creepy. The scene where they're getting married on the boat in The Little Mermaid, and one of the priests gets a little excited, if you know what I mean. No way. And something goes sticking straight up. In the movie? It goes like, dearly, beloved. And then it's like, wham, sticks straight up. What? In the actual movie? In the movie. When the beautiful girl comes walking down the aisle. Shut up. Doesn't that creep you out as a parent? And you know, like, oh, my kids are. I love my kids seeing that. have to have it pointed out to you. Yeah. And there's a scene in Aladdin where he says, now, Disney came back and said, or someone came back and said, it sounds like he says, good teenagers, take off your clothes. He does. But they claim it says, good tiger, now take off and go. Really? Because it's when the tiger's in the scene. Oh, I thought it goes, take off your clothes. Yeah, it does. Like, really quick, take off your clothes. He said it goes, good tiger, take off and go. But it's good teenagers, take off their clothes. M1 Matt Dave from San Diego.
Hey, guys. First off, guys, great show. You guys are all awesome. I love the new lineup. Thank you. Thank you very much. Been listening to it for a long time. Awesome. One of the cool movie mistakes was that a lot of people don't know about Lord of the Rings. In the first movie, you know, filmed in New Zealand, and in the background there was a car riding around. I can't remember what. They cut it and edited it out for the DVD, so you'll pretty much never be able to see it again. Really? Yeah. They show a car in the Lord of the Rings? They don't have cars in Mordor? Yeah, they don't have any Chryslers in Mordor. There's no girls there either. They have that in, like, a lot of the old Western movies and stuff. You can see that there's tire prints on the roads when, like, apparently there weren't cars back then. Where? In Mordor? No, and like old western movies and stuff like that. You can see that cars were there from the marbles. They're like, hey, where are the Chevy tracks? Should we be driving a Range Rover back in 1857? F-150? Yeah. 570-1949. M1 Paul from Lakeside. Hey, man, what's up? What's up? What up? The movie Cliffhanger. In the opening scene where the lady's hanging from his hand, the helicopter pilot who's on the other end holding onto the rope is laughing and smiling the whole time.
No way. No way. What a sadist. No way. It's worth the rent just for that part. M1 brown coat from Oceanside. Yeah. What do you got? In the scene Pulp Fiction, you know when that guy tries to shoot up Samuel Jackson and he doesn't get hit and it's a very profound moment for him? Right. You can see the bullet holes in the wall before the guy comes out of the bathroom. I'm going to have to look. I know that one. You know there's another one in Pulp Fiction too, Mike. When they go to get that suitcase from Brett. Right. They go to get it from Brett. Yeah. Brett's house. Jules says, look at the big brain on Brad. Right. And they just left it. Oh, yeah. His name's Brett. His name's Brett. Look at the big brain on Brad. Well, couldn't it be that he just... No, because he said it like four times before then. He's like, are you Brett? Are you Brett? And then he goes, look at the big brain on Brad. That's like a legendary name. Oh, yeah. It is for sure. What do you think was in the suitcase? Somebody's soul. I think it was gold. No, it was his soul. Oh, boy. Really? With this? It was Marcellus Wallace's soul. Should we talk about the end of Sopranos, too? Really? I think in that case. No, I think it was his soul. M1, Brian from San Diego. Yeah, so how are you guys doing today? Good. Excellent. So you guys are talking about movie mistakes. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but...
In Muppet Christmas with Michael Caine. Wait a minute. I've seen it. Did you just say In Muppet Christmas with Michael Caine? Michael Caine with Muppet Christmas. Okay. He's got kids, maybe. All right. So wait on this. This is crazy. Okay. So you know how Beaker, the little skinny guy, he's only got three fingers? Exactly. Perfect. Okay. There's a scene where Ebenezer Scrooge is kicking out Beaker and his... more stout friend. Yes. And he's going ahead and kicking him out and for a second there you see Beaker become very, very displeased with the situation and he seems to put up his only but middle finger at Ebenezer Scrooge. No way. I love these. I love these all day. I want to write them all down and watch all of them. 570-1949. If this is true, I will rent it today. Oh, what? If this next one... Is true. M1 Carpy? Hello? Is this Carpy? Hang on just a second. I've got to get Carpy. Carpy, is that you? Hey, what's up? What's going on, man? Hey, remember the movie, what was it, The Ten Commandments? Right, with Charlton Heston. Correct.
Where they were showing the desert scene, there was a red Corvette in the background. No way. Is that possible? Is that true? No way. Could that possibly be true? He's not just making this up. A red Corvette? Yeah, Moses drove a Corvette, a 68 Stingray. You know that. Him and Prince. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. That would be, if that's true, I'll watch it today. Bro, how do you think he got across the desert so fast? I guess. You know that. I guess. Wheat Thicks, M1 Wheat Thicks, used to animate on The Simpsons. Whoa. That's awesome. And he says that when he did, he drew himself in three scenes. No way. Yeah, in one episode. That is cool. I'm going to need that episode YouTubed emailed to me. Yeah, posted on our fan page. Fan page. Let's see. Don't get sued, though. So cool. M1 Big E? Yeah. What was yours? Empire Strikes Back, Death Star, stormtroopers are walking through a doorway and one of the stormtroopers waxes that on the ceiling.
It's huge. Really? There's one I saw the other day. Indiana Jones. It's Raiders of the Lost Ark. Remember the scene where he falls in the hole and all those snakes are there? If you look carefully, you can see the glass. You can see the glass in front of him. You know that one? That one I knew. He's a big time. I don't know very much. You guys know the movie Grease? Yeah, I know Grease. I mean, no, I've never seen it either. That's it. The guy sings Beauty School Dropout, and right before that happens, Frenchie and the old lady are in the cafe, and the lady goes to turn the light out with her elbow, and she goes, and grunts and hits the wall above the light. And it turns off. Yeah, it turns off, but she doesn't actually hit the light. I love that stuff. Yeah. I love that. I'm on Dark Side from San Diego. You there? Yeah. What's yours? You remember Three Men and a Baby? Yeah. This bit we've heard. Creepy. I don't know it. Yeah, there's that scene where, you know, they're flashing through, like, the living room. Yep. And you can see the curtains, kind of, like, a little dark cloud on the curtains. And as it goes by, there's, like, a little boy there, like a little ghost or something. And later on, they said it was, you know, a little boy killed himself with a shotgun in that house. Sure he did. And they didn't mean to do that. And it just flashed on him for, like, two seconds. Well, that was the story. That was the story. But then it turned into, well, what it actually was.
was a cutout of Ted Danson. Well, it isn't a cutout of Ted Danson either. I've seen that thing about a billion times, and I think what it is, I think it is a little kid, but I think it's a little kid that was, like, where it wasn't supposed to be. 570-1949. Wow, that's so good.
You don't really get to use that very often. You can't. There's not really a spot anymore for hand harmonica. It doesn't happen. It's just not a lot of places to be able to whip that out. All right. Put it on a tee, pal. Yeah, what's that? What happens? It's going to knock it out of the park. You know that. You call beginning and end of every show. About any topic that you'd like, talk about anything you want. 5701-949 is the number. Anybody have any appearances this weekend? I don't have an appearance, but I want to plug something. What is it? What do you got going on? I'm getting the baby's room ready. Oh, congrats. It's a big deal. It's a big deal. Every day is new things. That's awesome. They call it nesting. Yeah. It's nasty. No, it's really started to. Are you going to paint? Oh, no. The room's already, it's already good. Are you kidding me? The room is pink. Do you think I'm going to paint? Yeah. Yeah, you know that. No, the room's already pink. It's really cute. That's cool. She's not telling us what, she knows what she's naming. I know. She won't even tell us. She doesn't want us to give her a heart. She doesn't want anybody to be like, no, don't do that. Or this face. It's not 100% because I can't say, oh, this is going to be the name until I see the baby. Sienna, we know it's going to be different. You know it's going to be different. It's not going to be Jane or Mary or Mary Jane. It's Stephanie. You guys stop badgering her. It's Lauren. It's Rolls Bentley is the name. It's not that weird. Let's see.
570-1949 is the number. You can give us a call now about anything you got going on. What was the deal with Vandersloot and giving Natalie Holloway's location? What is that about? He told investigators during interrogation that he knows the location of where Natalie Holloway's body is. And he is not going to tell them where. He wants to tell the Aruban police where and what happened to her the night of the disappearance. That's from the Peruvian National Police saying that he came clean about it, but he's not going to tell them. He'll tell the Rubin police. Why? So he can go home? Yesterday, he was also transferred from a police facility to the National Attorney General's office yesterday morning. And I'm sure you guys have heard by now, too. It came out yesterday that his attorney is saying that, you know, he wants. to strike what Vandersuit said about coming clean, about the murder and confessing, because he wasn't there to properly guide him. Yeah. That's interesting. Let's see. A couple people want to give a shout out, and that's cool. M1 Mike from San Diego. Go ahead. Are you there? Wait a minute. Here we go. Mike? Hey. Hey, Mike. Go ahead. I love the show, guys. I love what you're doing, man. I listen every morning. Awesome. Thanks so much.
I just wanted to take an opportunity, if it's cool with you guys, I manage a band, a local group out of San Diego called Slow Motion Airplanes. Uh-huh. And they're going to be playing tonight at O'Connell. And I just want to say, hey, man, if you guys are supporting local music, O'Connell is the place to be tonight. You're a good manager, dude. There you go. That's what a good manager does. Thank you, bro. All right. Thanks, guys. Hey, you have a great day. You too, buddy. Thank you. I actually, I talked to Woodsy and some other folks, Jeremy, who works in our engineering department. We were talking about this in the hallway last Friday. And I've talked to other people about this as well. I don't do it very often. I'm going to tell you my testimony in a different way. And I do that at the end of the show on Friday. I tell you my story. I always do it the same way. I usually do it with music that sort of puts me in a place where I feel comfortable enough to be able to do it. And I always do it in a way where I tell this story that that starts out with how my life was and basically the progression of it. What I don't focus on too much, but I will do today is the good kind of the the good positive spin and angle of what my testimony really is. And basically what that is, is.
A guy that used to be very, very sad internally all the time. Just sad internally all the time. To someone. And somebody that Woodsy knew was very abusive to drugs, to alcohol. And God, I accepted Jesus Christ into my life. He changed everything in my life. And made it to where today I do have. I have relationships in my life today that I never would have imagined having ever in my life. There is a lot of joys in my life, many beautiful blessings in my life. And I do more laughing today than I've ever done in my life ever. And it's as a result of me turning my life over to God. I just never had that.
Always trying to fill a God-shaped hole in my heart with everything else in the world. Alcohol, pills, meth, coke, women, porn, everything you can imagine. I filled my life with that in hopes of making it better. And it never did. Once I accepted Christ into my life and allowed him to start working in my life and change me, something happened that was beyond me. And I want to tell people that. Because I want you to know that what I used to have in my life was no hope. I wasn't hopeful about anything. I didn't look forward to stuff. I was just hopeless. And I felt desperate. And I don't anymore. If you have any of those feelings, if you feel any of that stuff, if you're addicted to alcohol, if you've experienced depression, if you've had an eating disorder.
If you have any of this stuff right now, you can go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. And there's a lot of resources there for you, places that you can get help. And I urge you to go there and check that out. Check out the whole help page. There's a lot of resources there for you. And I just tell you my story because that's what I've experienced in my life. And I offer it to you in hopes that it could change things for you. Jesus doesn't have a website, but my church does that I go to. And I just love my church. And I tell you about it in case A, you're looking for one or B, you're in a place where you go, you know what? I think I want to investigate that. It's northcoastchurch.com. And I just want to share my story with you. It's for me, a story of hope. That's all my story is. Story of hope. I play a song for you at the end of the show on Friday. It's by a band called Third Day. The song is called tunnel. And the lyrics to the song are so meaningful to me because they are so hopeful. The lyrics to the song are so hopeful. If you're going through a time in your life right now where things are not looking good and you've just been down, depressed, or anything like that, listen to the words of this song and hopefully I'll change things for you. Lovely and talented Hillary's up next. Thanks for coming in today, guys. We appreciate it.
FM 94.9 It's about the music.
