Thursday June 17, 2010
Jay gets birthday wishes from the gang. Susanna runs into the studio with “skinnamon” rolls for Jay. Sienna loses a cookie in her cleavage, lost forever. Bee attack victim dies in a sad news story. Female Viagra is much needed in America, but don’t expect it to work very well. The Kid wants the 33K mattress to be “made out of boobs”. M1 Hawk breaks down the greens technology at Pebble Beach. Woodsy peccadillos begin in the bathroom, but they sure don’t end there! Mikey’s crazy pen peccadillo’s drive Jay nuts. More peccadillos’s that peck away at our patience levels lead to professional phone voice bits. Rebecca and Mikey go back and forth at each other. Is The Little Whiz Pop Quiz theme song infectious? One little kid says his teacher tooted! A little girl who sounds like an oompa loompa sings Taylor Swift. Those darn kids are on a mission to be funny! MIDI madness is next with two airheads. Bonehead moments at work; Mikey peed in a newsgirl’s presence without shutting the bathroom door. M1s call in with some real funny ones. Mikey retells his Oingo Biongo driving mishap. Woods was dared by Mikey and Eddie to make fun of a general manager that went terribly wrong. Seattle cop who is now on a viral video punching a teenaged girl in the face gets a huge debate going. Many points are laid down, but many are not on the same side. Mal Hall shout out for his shows at The Comedy Store follows. The cowardly bullfighter got arrested for being cowardly, and Frankie empathizes. Sienna saw a matador get gored in Spain. Who on the show would eat a dog? M1 impressions are next, with a lot of good ones followed by the cast impersonating each other. Woodsy hurts his foot and hollers in pain. LOB went to a mall and a kiosk worker smooth-talked her into asking him out to an incredible result! Let’s just say she’ll never go to that mall again. Apple’s new IPhone madness has The Kid drop a biblical reference on Mikey. LOB is an Irish cyclone when you get her mad, like her swap-a-roo waiting in line story proves. Woods tells his funny chorizo big-time story. Frankie’s sister makes her first appearance. Where’s Hilary?

Host Mikey and his crew Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, Jay, Susanna, Rebecca and various call‑in guests covered a wide range of topics: they laughed about Lauren’s embarrassing mall encounter, marveled at the iPhone 4 pre‑order frenzy, debated the propriety of a Seattle cop punching a teenage girl for jaywalking, and shared nostalgic‑then‑irritating relationship quirks known as peccadillos. The show also featured listener‑submitted bone‑head work stories, a discussion of a $33,000 luxury mattress, a skeptical take on the female Viagra Flibanserin, and a recount of a deadly bee attack in Encinitas. Throughout, the hosts argued about what constitutes appropriate police force, whether Flibanserin is merely estrogen in disguise, and whether those once‑cute habits remain endearing or become annoyances.
What happened, in order
Encinitas Bee Attack
They recount a fatal bee swarm attack on a man in Encinitas and share their own harrowing experience driving through a bee swarm with windows down.
Peccadillos Talk
The hosts share quirky habits they once found endearing in partners but now find annoying, such as toilet‑paper rolls left on the floor and special phone voices.
Female Viagra Debate
They critique the newly tested drug Flibanserin, calling it ineffective estrogen repackaged and suggesting red wine and a Lenny Kravitz CD as better alternatives.
Luxury Mattress Talk
The crew discusses a Wall Street Journal article about a $33,000 mattress made of silk, wool, cashmere, mohair and natural latex, questioning whether it’s worth the price.
Bone‑Head Work Stories
Listeners call in with embarrassing on‑the‑job blunders, from flushing a bathroom door while a boss was inside to accidentally deleting a boss’s entire email account.
Seattle Cop Jaywalking Punch
A Seattle police officer punches a teenage girl who grabbed his wrist during a jaywalking stop, sparking a debate about appropriate use of force.
Lauren's Mall Mishap
Lauren asks a cell‑phone kiosk guy for his number, learns he has a girlfriend, and ends up crying in her car after the rejection.
iPhone 4 Pre‑Order Chaos
Apple suspends pre‑orders of the iPhone 4 after receiving over a million requests in one day, overwhelming AT&T’s system.

I had no idea that's how you did that. I had no idea. That's easy. Welcome. It's a Mikey show. We took a 20-hour break. Now we're back. We are back. No big deal. That's right. Thursday, end of the week. Taking tomorrow off. I have some personal things happening tomorrow. Woodsy's going to Kansas. Wichita. He's going to be singing in his buddy's wedding, right? Yeah. It's going to be great. Ripped through the whole set list at the house yesterday. It sounded terrible. No. It's going to be great.
He's going to put it all on YouTube, the whole bit. Is he really? The whole thing. I hope it goes viral. It will. Guaranteed. That's a good word for it. We know it'll go viral because we'll put it on the Mikey Show website for sure. Ah, yeah. Oh, yeah. Welcome to the program. Let me introduce everybody really quickly. My name is Mikey, and I'm the host of the show, and I'm 39 years of age. No, you're not. You are not 39 years of age. Wow. Really? Old habits. Dude. Let's have it. I'm 34 years of age. There you go. I'm 40, so. Yep. 40. 40. And Woodsy is 35. 34. Well, he will be. July. He'll be in July. I bet he's 34. And he is our sports guy. Lauren is 29. She is our in her 20s. Person along with Sienna. She's our assistant producer. Sienna's 25. She's our news girl. And Jay is 47 years of age. Well, he will be. On Sunday. On Sunday. If you called me 30, I would set you through it. I know. He rounded up. Notice he rounded up with Jay and I and rounded down for himself. Yeah. It's a habit. Real sweetly. Yeah, it's a habit.
Have it? You've never called Jay 47 ever. Well, it's his birthday and I'm trying to work too. Maybe I just go shoot myself in the head. No, no. It's hard to remember. Maybe just take it to the house. Yeah, Matt. Maybe just take the whole thing to the house. Start over again. What is Jay's actual birthday? Sunday? June 20th, yeah. He has Father's Day and his birthday to celebrate on Sunday. I'm getting ripped off. Yeah, true. Oh, the old double gift fit. Mm-hmm. Well, we're going to celebrate his birthday. You know, us here on the show, we'll celebrate today. Yeah. Because we're not going to see them tomorrow. Yeah, Sienna already made it nice with cookies. Yeah. Oh, how sweet. It doesn't stop there, pal. That's right. I got real domestic. That was very nice of you. I had an apron on. That was really nice of you, Sienna. No problem. Sienna made cookies last night and her husband came home and smelled the delightfulness of the cookies and then wanted to know what was for dinner. And I said, you're looking at it. Cookies. That's right. I don't have time to do two things. That's right. That's what we ate. And then Sienna did something that if I did, it would throw me off so bad. She fell asleep with her clothes on. Oh my gosh. I was so tired. What I was wearing yesterday, on top of the bed, not under the covers, and I had slippers on. Oh, that would mess me up. Yeah, Todd came in, he's like...
How about you get under the covers and make this right? Yeah, seriously. Oh, look at this. What do you got? Susanna just came into the room. Hi, Susanna. I mean, Susanna. Hey, guys. Hi. Hi. How are you? What are you doing? What's the matter? You're like a lot of breath. Oh, wow. What's the matter? I'm short of a breath. With that retainer in, too? It makes it even worse. I heard you guys talking about... Jay's birthday? Yeah. And I made him some Skinnaman rolls. You made him some Skinnaman rolls? Skinnaman rolls. Wow. You must have done that with Woods' skin because you want to wear it. I was going to say, there's a secret ingredient. It's a little suspicious. Something suspicious. Hey, Susanna, take your retainer out just for a second. It's a special occasion. Jay's birthday's on Sunday, so take that out. There you go.
It's much better. It's much better. Still a little bit out of breath. It's hard to run in those heels, too, you know. Somebody put my skin and rolls in the other refrigerator. They did? Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, no. Long way. It was a long way. It was a long way that you had to go. Is ever, like, by where you guys keep your vending machines, like, two miles away? Yeah. Yeah, it is. It's the green mile walking to that thing. It is. Susanna works in our accounting department. She's an intern in there. 27 years old. Blonde hair. Smells gorgeous. Comes in here dressed. So professionally. It's so nice. To the nines. To the nines, man. You can tell she's, you know, she does not shop low rent. She is very well put together. I would assume that, I don't know, what are you, a norty? You do norty? I got norties. I've got bloomies. I've got sacks. Yeah, you do all that. You know, anything designer. Right. That's me. Right. Thing is, is that she has impeccable taste and impeccable, just her whole. Put togetherness, you know. Part of it. Thanks, Mike. Perfectly straight teeth. You know why? Why? Well, years ago, she got braces. And they have made her teeth absolutely perfectly straight. But in order to retain that perfectly straight. You get it? You're so funny. That perfectly straight set of chompers. She's got to wear. Chompers? Yeah. She has to wear a retainer to keep them straight. Yep.
She does. And that's why she wears that. Real important. It's really nice. Look at that. Susanna brought in some Skinnam and Rolls. Skinnam and Rolls. I made some candles out of Woods' leftover snuff. Snuff candles. That's right. For those of you that are new to the show, Susanna made friends with Woods before anybody else on the show. Yep. And it was because Woods helped her out getting a Snickers bar. Snickers bar out of the vending machine. I was like Fonzie. They do get jammed in there. Yeah. Got jammed in. It would be, like, would it be weird if I said I saved the wrapper? That would be weird, right? Yeah, that would be weird. That would be weird. That would be weird. That would be weird. That would be weird. Yeah, because I didn't. You didn't. Totally didn't. Of course you didn't. How else are you handling life these days? You've got a lighter in your hand. That's not for a bomb, is it? You're not going to light me on fire. No, I was going to light Jay's candle for his birthday. Oh, that's nice. Yeah. A little candle and a little cinnamon roll. Yeah, go ahead. Why don't you do that? Jay, come in. Is there a smoke detector in here? Yeah, is that going to be okay, Jeremy? Jeremy's in the studio right now. He's in our engineering department. If he light, if she light, if Susanna lights that little candle, will it be okay?
Oh, you know, she's just above the virus. I thought so. Yeah, so maybe she shouldn't. Maybe you shouldn't. Well, that set off. If it did, though, that would be bad because then it would start raining down. I got an idea. Ready? No, don't light it. I'm not. Okay. There. Happy birthday. Oh, that's nice. There we go. We're supposed to sing. Hold on, I got gifts. You do? You got gifts? Oh, look. Wow. Oh, wait, I got that. Oh, I guess you can give it. Well, Susanna, this is actually from the show. Yeah. And we got together and we got some duct tape. From MacGruber. Duct tape. Wow. You guys shouldn't have. And here is a fresh $100 gift certificate to the Home Depot. How about that? Yeah. Make it right. Hey, guys. Happy birthday, Paul. Happy birthday, Jay. I want to see what he can make with duct tape. Oh, wait. I'll make you a skirt. I got some. Got a card, too. Yeah, here's a card. Oh, yeah, there you go. Let the big bear get his paws on you, dude. Yep, there you go. Let Cubby. Coming over to get Cubby. Thank you. Thank you, bro. I didn't know which cinnamon rolls you liked from VG, so I got both kinds. You know me. I'll eat anything. That's right. Well, happy birthday, bro. Happy birthday. Stupid Susanna. I know, Susanna. What's going on with her? Maybe we want to microwave these.
Microwave them? Yeah. Get them nice, all hot and moist. I had to get them last night. I just saw a cookie fall into her breasts and get lost forever. She'll never find it. It's gone forever. It might as well have fallen in a well. Yeah, seriously. Sienna! Search and rescue. Who in the world loses an entire cookie in their breasts? It fell in her boobs. And she was literally, I saw her searching her breasts for the cookie. And she just finally gave up. She gave up. That happens to me all the time. I'll find it when I change later tonight. Todd will find it for you. Drop a couple of Tic Tacs down there. Did you get it? Oh, get it. Oh, my gosh. What's the big deal? I don't know what happened. Yeah, for those of you new listening to the show, Sienna has large breasts. Yeah, she does. I'm pregnant, so they're bigger than ever. Yeah, well, before she was pregnant, they were big breasts. I have two shelves now. One is the top, and then it falls on my stomach, too. And stuff just, like, sits on my stomach when I eat now. I'm like, oh, wait, saving that for later. That's amazing. I'm a mess.
It's fantastic. There is an oatmeal cookie in her shirt. Yeah, she can't find it. It's gone. I have to go to the bathroom. She searched. It's like some heavy-duty searching. Yeah, it is. Isn't your nickname the Cookie Monster? Maybe you make that right. I lost cookie. Cookie and breasts. I look and I'm hoping no one's noticing me searching and I see Mike looking right at me like, really, what are you doing? That's amazing. B is for breasty. Goodie, not for me. Unbelievable. Happy birthday, Jay. Happy birthday. Thanks. Let's see. Crazy stuff in the news that we're going to be telling you about. B attack in Encinitas, we'll tell you about. Female Viagra. We got to tell you about the very underwhelming results that have come back on tests about female immigrants. And then also a mattress that costs $33,000. So all that's coming up in the next couple of minutes. Your phone call is 570-1949. And you can text us 949mikey at gmail.com. $33,000 mattress sounds pretty. I want it. I want it too. I mean, what must be the deal with that thing? So we'll talk about it in a minute.
First, the bee attack. So what's up with this dude in Encinitas? Really, really sad story. 55 years old. He was with his nephew. He was on a tractor doing some work outside. Tractor ran over a honeybee hive. Oh, my gosh. The bees came swarming up, was getting stung, you know, one at a time. And then he just ran, got into an outhouse. Yeah. I guess. Too many had already gotten him by that point. He was found in the outhouse by the police. He was allergic to bee stings, and he had over 500 stings on his body. So, yeah, didn't make it after that. Really, really sad story. That's too bad. You know, I remember I always have my radio on in my car. Always. I always do. And I don't generally listen to music. For the most part, I listen to talk radio. So I'll either be listening to sports or I'll be listening to lectures, believe it or not. I listen to lectures. Going to one today. But anyway, so this particular day, for no apparent reason, didn't have the radio on silent, had the windows down. And I heard what sounded like a big truck headed my way. And I turned to my right and I see a black.
billowing cloud headed right towards me. Oh my gosh. And I instantly recognized that it was a swarm of moving bees. While I was at a red light, put my window, it was in Encinitas. Scary. Put my windows up literally milliseconds before they went, shut up, hit the car, hit all the different cars. Oh my gosh. Holy crap. And flew and just kept going. Just kept moving through us. But some people I could see didn't roll their windows up. Oh my gosh. And they were doing what anybody would probably do, which is the wrong thing to do. Flip out. Flip out. Flip out. What are you supposed to do? There's been a time where I had to be in my car and I stopped like right in the middle of the street, opened the door, got out. Yeah. Caused a scene. If you stay calm, they don't have a reason to flip. Woodsy's looking at me right now like, don't they? But, you know, listen, when a bee is flying around and it's in your Coke can or it's by your Coke can, it's by you or it's by whatever, your food, just chill out because after a second, it'll leave. If you flip out, you agitate it and now it wants to attack.
because it's in attack mode. I'm going to get you. I don't know if you guys know this, but I've got a bee's in my attic right now. Actually, I don't, but I had to climb a ladder up and get right in between them all and clog up the holes they were going in. Oh, my gosh. Oh, Jay. They didn't bother me at all. Did you wear anything? Because you didn't swat them, right? I didn't swat them. I just kind of went up slowly in between them, and they were just a big giant hive of them. I just put it in, slowly clogged up the holes, and then I couldn't go back up there because they were angry. You may get a sting, but... You may get a stinger, too, but you're not... Generally, if you stay calm, you're not going to get the big attack. I wonder if that poor guy knew he was allergic or not. I don't know, but that's scary. You know what? Some people will carry what they call the EpiPen, which is a shot of epinephrine. And I have a friend that carries one around in her purse. And if she gets stung or if she... In her case, actually, it's not about bees. It's about nuts. She's allergic to them. And so if she had something that she didn't know had nuts in it and she started to have an allergic reaction, pops that EpiPen in her thigh, squeezes it.
Gives her a shot of epinephrine, and she's good to go. Do you guys have any allergies? Like, I don't. Thank goodness. No, it's not. Okay, obviously it's not. Woodsy believes allergies are a bit. I have allergies, and I had to have surgery for my sinuses. But, like, are you allergic to something? Yeah. Like peanut or something like that? I'm allergic to something in our environment, and I don't go get tested. And the reason that I don't get tested is because my thought is... I'm not going to go through the 90 pin sticks that they'd have to stick in me. Yeah, they got to stick you. Oh, my gosh. They stick in your back. Oh, yeah. And I don't want to go through it just for them to tell me, oh, you're allergic to cat dander. Because if it turns out that I'm allergic to cat dander, what are we going to do? Give away our cat? My wife, you know, we're not giving away our cat. Give it to the kid. Give it to the kid? Yeah, he's running a little animal farm over to something. All right. Give it to the kid. But, yeah, I mean, what do you do if you're, you know, what if I, okay, what if I found out I was allergic to dust? I can't get dust out of my life, you know? I think I'm allergic to dust. Yeah, but some people have those really extreme ones, like, you know, those peanut, people that are allergic to peanuts, that's severe. Yeah. There's a story on the news of a kid that he kissed his girlfriend who had had, like, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich hours earlier. Yep, shot him. Got him. Those.
Allergies are serious, man. They're really, you know, hardcore. 570-1949 is the number. And you can give us a call later on in the show. In fact, before the hour's up, I want to read Woodsy's recap about Pecadillos. And if you don't know what they are, we'll explain. But it's so great, man. And we all got them. We all got them. Pecadillo. Pecadillo. Like an armadillo's brother? Yeah, armadillo's brother. Woodsy had to explain to me what it is and how it works. It's pretty good. Mikey, you have some. Oh, yeah. You've got some. I do? Sienna has some. Oh, great. We all do. Everybody's got some peccadillos. Can you get medicine for it? No, don't need medicine. It's just one of those things that make you who you are. It's one of those things where there's just no cure for it. Exactly. There is no medicine. There's no cure. Oh, you know what would be fun? No. Find out what are Peccadillo's and each other. Oh, yeah, for sure. What are they? Oh, I'll tell you what they are and then we'll go into it later. Okay. Within the hour. Okay. Peccadillo is something that when you first met the person that you're with, it was so cute. Adorable. Or just defining or like something that makes you different. You, yeah. Like your...
Imperfections. Your imperfections. Uniqueness. Your uniqueness. But, you know, when you first met, it was really the most charming thing ever, you know? In fact, you couldn't stop telling your friends about how cute it was that this person, you know. I don't want to know. They do this. You're like, she blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It's the cutest thing. But then after a little while. You're like, okay. You're like, oh, man. You know, in the beginning, I thought that was so unique. I thought it was so charming. I thought it was so different. I'd never really experienced such a different quality in a person. But now I just want to bash my own brains in. I do. I just want to bash my own brains in every time that it happens. But so anyway, we'll talk about that and how that came up. Viagra, as you know, is a medicine that is used for erectile dysfunction, meaning if you're a guy and you cannot get an erection, Viagra will fix it. How awkward are those commercials? Don't look at me. The commercials on TV, every time I'm sitting there with my dad, I'm like, ugh. I was just waiting for you to be inappropriate. It's called ED, and it's a real thing. It is. It affects men as they get older. Well, there is apparently a product that they're trying to create for women. Yeah. And it's a female Viagra. It's called Flybanserin. Flybanserin.
Would you say flebanserin, Woods? I'd say flebanserin. Flebanserin. Flebanserin. Yeah, flebanserin is the female Viagra. And they have been testing it. And because apparently there's 40% of American women have low sex drive. Would you guys be surprised by that? You guys can't get erections either? Oh, boy. It's for the sex drive in women, you know? Maybe they're just not feeling it for a while. And, you know, the husband's like, man, what's going on? And they're like, I don't know. I don't know. So if they could take a little something to help them out. Yeah. It'd be nice. It's called red wine. Yeah. Something else for perverts to drop in your drink. Yeah, exactly. Oh, my gosh. Oh, no. Make it a little bit randy. Leave it to Jay to think of that. I know, right? It never occurred to me. It's a flibanserin colada. Oh, gosh. Well, the FDA has done a lot of tests and checking the effectiveness of the flibanserin. And they're saying, you know, it's really not as compelling as we had hoped. It doesn't work the same as the regular Viagra. It's probably estrogen.
It's just estrogen repackaged. Maybe it's Spanish fly. Spanish fly. Spanish fly. You remember that? Yeah, I do. Back of a magazine, like a Rolling Stone. It would be in the vending machines in a dirty restaurant. I have a much cheaper, more effective way of using female Viagra. A Lenny Kravitz CD and some red wine. Red wine. That's all you need. You know, I think that will probably get the ladies in the mood every single time. When you get older and you get through some hormonal changes, yeah, maybe you're just out on it for a while. Hey, listen, if you're an older lady and you're experiencing any of this, there is an album by Lenny Kravitz that, you know, if you just get it, you try it out, may change your whole world. Which one? Mama said. Mama said is good. He's even got a... All of my life. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about. How about this one? Let's pour some red wine. Hi, sweetheart. How you doing? I made a little bubbly pizza for you here tonight. All right? Real good. Put a little red sauce on there. Did the whole deal. You're going to love this.
You have a seat. You take a load off. Take a load off. I'm going to rub your feet down, and we're going to have a little red wine, and we're going to listen to some Lenny. Yeah. Maybe a little lovemaking session after. Yeah, maybe some sweet lovemaking. Doesn't sound so bad. Finally, you and Woods are making it right. Oh, really? How many minutes into the show? 25 minutes into the show for the first Mikey Woods love joke, right? The bromance. The bromance. He's alive. Here's the deal. Chairman of BP referred to Americans, some Americans, as the little people. The little people. Wow. Is he talking to you, Mike? Really? It's just everybody holds our horses. He's talking to tattoos. That's right. Maybe he wants. We'll tell you all about it next. On Independence Jam Coastal Invasion Returns, August 29th, Oceanside Pier Amphitheater. Get detailed. I don't have any, you know, athletic abilities. Sienna. I'm like a little bit Irish. There's everything white I am. Woods. I mean, hey, listen, I do snuff on the planet, okay? Lauren. I was a bit of a pyro when I was a kid. I knew how it worked. I knew how destructive it was. I still started fires on the reg. And Jay. This is a paid gig. I'm 100% in. This is the Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Song is called Be Quiet. and drive. Welcome back. It's Mikey's show and kids picking the music today. You know that. She likes it. It's a hot cinnamon roll, right? It's a cinnamon roll. Welcome back. God, that's good. It is good. That's good. I told you that we were going to tell you about a mattress that costs $33,000. I want it. Mikey. I want it so bad. We have two sets of sheets for our bed. We have two. Yeah, we do two.
Rotate them? We rotate them. And my side of the bed, it ripped. And so my foot will fall into a landmine every once in a while. You know, and get caught under there. Can I guess how it ripped? I don't even know. Your toenails. I bet. I don't know. I've done it. I don't even know. Yeah, I've done it. And it was really a bummer too because we have two pair and I like one of the sets. And I don't like the other. One is not as soft on my dainty skin. And the other one is a little bit more coarse. Why do I picture your side of the bed having like... Feathers in it. Having like... Lanolin. Like crumbled Doritos. No way. You don't eat in bed? The opposite. When you're laptopping? Opposite. Opposite. He needs a very sterile bed. Really? Real sweetly. Real nice. Because you spend a lot of time in that bed. I do. And I'm not saying that I haven't eaten in bed. Woods would know. Really? Oh my God. Man. So stupid. We spend a lot of time in that bed. Yeah. Gross. Gross. Stupid. But yeah. It's the $33,000 mattress. I can't even imagine. Why? Why is it $33,000? Would you like to know what it's made out of? Let me guess. Silk. Yeah.
It's made of silk. Mm-hmm. It says more than 2,000 coils, 10 pounds of wool, cashmere, mohair, and silk, plus natural latex and biofoam layers. Wow. I bet it's not even that awesome. Honestly, I bet it's not. Dude, I bet it isn't. For 33 grand, it better be made out of boobs. It looks awesome. Boobs, man. Wow. That would be so comfy. Oh, it'd be amazing. I'm looking at it. I take back what I said. It looks so, like, plush and comfy. But you need to rotate your mattresses, like, every couple years, get a new one. It's expensive. Yeah. This one says it's up to, like, what, seven years? Yeah. Yeah, and this article, by the way, is from the Wall Street Journal. Unbelievable. Oh, wow. Sorry, pal. Kid's got butterfingers. Holy cow. There's a more expensive one coming out later this year, too. Horse hair. Horse hair. L-O-B's out. Horse hair's in it? Horse hair.
Yeah, no, no, that's the one. Oh, yeah. Horse hair. And then they're launching a newer one that's 44,000 later this year. Oh, my goodness. I bought a lifetime mattress. Our mattress will last our entire life. Man. I know. I got our mattress. I got our mattress at Sleep Train. And they're not even a sponsor here right now. So I'm giving you the straight dilly. It is the most comfortable mattress. Really? In the world. They know what they're doing over there. I got one from there, too. It's super great. Awesome. Mine is from Jerome's. Is it latex, Mikey? Weird. My bed is not latex. It is not. Did you say weird? Yep. Yeah. Of course it's from Jerome's. Where's it going to be? From Mark's? Oh, boy. The only reason yours is from Jerome's is because there wasn't a Leroy's yet. No. Jerome. Is that right? Jerome is a short little white guy. Yeah, is he? Yeah. You got there and you were like, hey, yeah, can I meet Jerome? I've met Jerome. I've been in a commercial with Jerome. Is Jerome actually here? Yeah, when she met him, she was like, oh. Where's Jerome at? Is LT here? Exactly. Hello, Lauren. I'm Jerome. Really? You're Jerome? You're Jerome. Damn it. No. Fine. That's sexy. Sure it is. 570-1949.
Where do you buy a bed like that? Do they just, do they sell it? eBay. eBay, I bet. This one is made by, it's called the Cloughed & Co.'s Hand Tuft King Size Palais Royal Mattress. Let me get it. They sell them at Hassan's in Chicago. Hassan's. Oh, sorry. That's all right. Have you been there? Hassan's. You know that place? No. It's H-A-S-T-E-N-S. Let me see. Hastens. It's right under the picture. Hastens? Hastens. Right under the picture? No, Hastens. Listen to you, big time. Well, when she said, when she said, Hastens. I said Hastens. I thought, well, it's got to be. That sounds very royal and Egyptian. Hastens. M1, Chris from Carlsbad. Hey, how's it going? It's going good, dude. What'd you do? Hey, so I have these crazy pinky toenails. Oh, boy. Oh, wow. And, well, I was on vacation, and I was sleeping on an air mattress. And I popped it. Dude, put all those things down. Wolverine. You've got mountain feet. Yeah. And I woke up on the ground the next morning. I couldn't believe it. That's so filthy. So have you since clipped those things? I tried, but they're like...
They grow like, I don't know. Let's go to the vet, bro. Seriously. You're like dumb and dumber. Can you guys imagine? Because I slept on Mikey's air mattress when I first moved out here. Can you imagine if I had popped his air mattress with my toenail? That would be so funny. First of all, I would have vomited. Yeah. And then I would have scolded you for not shaving down your Wolverine claws. Talon. Woods. Woods, Woods, Woods. Woods, Woods, Woods. Woods on sports. Yeah. Sports day with the kid. Yeah, dude. Well, you know, if there's a weak link in the Padres rotation, it's Kevin Correa. He threw last night. And, you know, I got to cut the guy some slack. We talked earlier in the year. He's the guy who lost his brother in that hiking accident. He really hasn't been the same man. He's like one in four since that happened. And he just didn't pitch all that well last night. The Padres actually lost to the Blue Jays. They lost a series, which.
Hasn't happened a lot this year. Good thing is there was only 16,000 there to see it. You have to rub that in every time. Yeah, dude, I do. Dodgers won last night. Padres lost. Now the Dodgers are in first place. Well, it's the nobody's showing up to the ballpark thing. It really gets Woods. Kills me. We were downtown with the wives over the weekend, and Woods was able to see. We saw. The game was in progress, and you saw these empty seats, and Woods goes, oh. Weird. Look at that. There's a game going on right now. Maybe. People are doing what I'm doing because normally when you go and you're rowdy, they haven't been doing very well in the past. And so now I'm like, well, I'm just going to be a behind the scenes fan, you know, and look, they're doing pretty good. Yeah, they love that too. The players love to look up in the seats and see. Well, make it right and they'll be there next year. They love that. But they'll take on the Orioles this weekend. And I'm telling you what, I'm calling it now. If you don't sweep the Orioles, that's bad. You need to sweep Baltimore because they're not a good team. You need to get back on track and win that series. Big golf tournament starting today. Did you know about this? Pebble Beach? Yeah, the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. I made a call this morning to my golf insider. Is that your dad? A.K.A. M1 Hawk. Yeah, my dad. And I said, well, I go, Dad, what do I need to know? And he said, well, I'll tell you right now. It's going to be a doozy. And I said, why? We need to have him on the air about stuff like this. I would love to.
He knows this stuff like the back of his hand. It's so funny. M1 Hawk, if you're listening, call him. Give him 30 seconds. He'll be on the horn. I want to talk to M1 Hawk about it. I won't even do this story. I'll let him do it. Move on to whatever's next, and then we'll see if he calls. We'll talk about this story. This is pretty big. LLB is probably really happy about what's going on with her least favorite team, the Washington Deadskins, as she calls them. So they have Albert Hainsworth. He is their two-time all-pro defensive tackle. Stud that came over from the Titans. Yep, yep. Big, big acquisition. But like most guys that go to the Redskins, they kind of don't perform. It's weird. It is. They don't do anything once they get there. It's bizarre. Isn't that weird? It's a dead franchise. Well, so he wants out. He doesn't like the defensive scheme that they're throwing in there. I think they're switching to a 3-4. He wants nothing to do with it. He wants a trade. Didn't show up for mandatory camp yesterday. You know the only problem with that, Mike? What? Guy took a $21 million check. Took the check. Guaranteed money? Guaranteed money. That's ridiculous. Oh, my gosh. $21 million check. And Mike Shanahan was like, hey, man, you took the check. That means you're going to be here. Of course. If you didn't want to be here, give us the money back and we'll trade you. How is there not a provision to prevent that from happening? It's guaranteed money. You know, the first thing that hits me when you say that is because it seems preposterous that someone would do that. Exactly. Yeah. It's like getting a paycheck and just not going to work. Yes. It's still keeping the money. And I don't know.
What in somebody's head, what is his justification for that? Of him sitting at his house, you know, eating a hoagie, playing PlayStation, going, I can't believe they're going to run this defensive scheme. And I'm not going to go play in that. I mean, BS, dude. Well, fine. Just don't go to the bank and endorse that check so that you can get paid. Exactly. Maybe he listens to the Mikey show and he knows I don't like the Redskins. And he's like, you know, I'm not playing for them. I'm not playing. Nope, not going. It's absolutely mind-blowing and pretty asinine. No M1 Hawk. No M1 Hawk? He's a no-show. I'm shocked. I know it. I'm shocked. Well, I'll tell you what he told me. Okay. So the greens at the U.S. Open, he said, are like concrete. So he said when a guy is going to go for the green, the ball's going to hit the green and it'll be like hitting a parking lot. It's bounce. So he goes, usually those guys are able to hit them, spin them back towards the hole. He goes, who knows? Really? He said, make sure to watch the U.S. Open because Tiger's playing. Mickelson's playing, you know, huge, huge major tournament. I was listening to the radio this morning, and I heard that last year Tiger was the only person under par. Yeah, it's going to be insane this week. And my very sizable gut tells me he's going to have a big, big weekend. I'm calling it right now. It's Thursday. I think he's going to.
Sunday is a big day to watch, right? Absolutely. He's still a giant head case, I think. Oh, we got M1 Hawk. There he is. Here's M1 Hawk. Hi, M1 Hawk. How are you? Doing well. How are you all? Good. M1 Hawk is Woodsy's dad and is a big-time avid golf fan. In fact, he is so much a fan and is actually pretty good at golf to the point where he actually had the record at his home. Country Club. Really? He held the record there. Dad, how long did you hold that record? Actually, three years. Nice. Way to go. Yeah, and what was it? What was your record? I shot 63. Unbelievable. Oh, my God. That's sick. Were you on the Pro-Am tour? Yeah. He's played in several Pro-Ams. Really? He won time. This is pretty cool. I was caddying a Pro-Am with him. He beat the Pro. No way. In the group. Yeah. Yeah, it was a GHO. Greater Hartford. Yeah, he beat the pro in the pro app. Maybe he goes a little tin cup on us. Yeah. Pretty solid. Well, M1 Hawk, what is your, you know, I don't know if you just heard your son tell us a little bit about what you said to him that the greens are really, really like concrete at Pebble Beach. Well, there's quite a few players that are thinking it may become unfair. I mean, the way you have to understand the way some of these courses were built back in the day, the greens are very small.
And what they've done, because of the technology, is they've lengthened all the holes. So now you're hitting longer irons into these small greens. And in the summer, they don't get the kind of weather they do when they play the AT&T in February. So these greens are rock hard, and they're not holding any shots. I was watching yesterday, and they hit shots from the fairway that usually hit the green and spin. They're hitting the green like it was cement and bouncing over the green into the rough. Makes for a long weekend. It's going to make for a major test. I would be shocked if anybody finished under par if they left the course the way it is. M1 Hawk, who do you think has the best chance at that golf course? Well, surprisingly, I think given the way it's set up, I think it's going to be somebody that's not relative, don't have to be long. I think somebody that's straight, so a Jim Furyk, a Zach Johnson, a Steve Stricker, I think one of those kinds of guys. Back in the day, Lee Jansen was a straight player, and on a real fast, hard golf course, he won a couple times at the Olympic Club and others. So I think it's going to be somebody that's maybe not a superstar like Tiger or Phil or Ernie Els. You feel like such a guy right now. I love it. Dude, you're not going to get that golf insight on any other show. It's great. The guy's a beast. I love that. Isn't that great? I didn't understand half of it. I'll tell you what. It sounded so cool. It sounds so great. It's the truth. I'm just being honest. It sounded cool.
Well, M1 Hawk, as always, we love talking to you. Thank you for your golf insight. Likewise, guys. See you, Dad. We'll talk to you later. Have a good weekend. It's good stuff. I got one more quick story, Mikey. They're talking about adding two more regular season games to the NFL schedule. Really? 18 games? They're going to take two from the exhibition season, okay? Instead of playing four, they're going to play two, and then add the two onto the regular season. By exhibition, you mean like preseason? Yeah, preseason. So does that mean that the regular season will start in August? I don't know what the logistics are, but the players are like... Really? Because I'm like, yeah. So am I. As a fan, I want to see two more regular season games. But you know why they're doing it. Money. See, yeah. And the reason that I think the players don't like it is because it takes the players a while to get into what they call football shape. But don't we all... Aren't we all in agreement that... The preseason's too long. Yeah, it is too long. I'm like, wait, it's still preseason? And, I mean, you know, nobody that you want to see plays, really. They play all, like, the third string people. It's good for those guys. Good for the fans. We want to see the thing start earlier. All right, so Woodsy says that him and Jamie were laughing yesterday about all of his little peccadillos. Yep.
She said, like, when he leaves his little chewed-up bottle caps everywhere. She used to think that was cute. Oh, yeah. I mean, when you first... Hey, listen. When Woodsy first started working with us, I was like, ha, ha, ha. Look at that. This is funny. Look at how Woodsy... Pick up your crap. Yeah, it's true. And how he always leaves the toilet paper on the ground. What? I never put it back on there. Why? Because I don't. What is your deal? Because I'm an idiot. Now, what do you mean? The whole roll? Yeah, the whole roll. When I go into file papers, I take it off the thing. What? So I can have, I don't like to do like the reach behind. Maybe you just put it over instead of under. It doesn't matter. I'll take it off and put it at my feet. Oh my gosh. Oh, you know what else I do? Wait, wait, wait. Woods, I've never heard of this. Really? Nope. You're the first human being that I've ever talked to. Like Neil Armstrong. You take the roll off of the roll holder. Yes. And you place the roll at your feet. Yes. Okay. And then when you're ready to use it. I pick it up. You pick it up and you unravel it. I know why. So he can put it around his paws. I don't do that. What do you do? What do you call them? Oven mitts? No, I just grab it and use what I need. But I put it right back down there. It's easier. It's easier to grab.
Wow. I did not know that. You know what else I do? What? In the bathroom. What? Sometimes I have been known to read or maybe take my laptop in and look at CNNSI. So I take the garbage can that's in there and I move it in front of me so I have a little laptop stand. And I'll often leave that in front of the toilet too. Oh my gosh. I cannot be the only one that does that. So your wife will walk in to use the bathroom and she has to... She trips over a garbage can and a roll of toilet paper. It's going to be an archaeologist to get in there to go number one. You are a mess. That is a peccadillo. When they first met, that might have been kind of cute. Another thing I do is I read a lot. So I'll have my book. And I'll be shaving or brushing my teeth in the morning, and I leave my book here. And while I'm brushing my teeth, I read every morning, every single morning. And I'll take the soap to hold the book down, and I put it on top of my book. So when I come home, there's my little book, and the little handheld soap is, like, on the book to hold it down. So you just don't put anything back after you do things? Pretty much. 570-1949 or text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. I want to hear.
I want to hear from people. I just want you to call us and tell us what was real cute and then wasn't real cute. That's all I want you to do. Call us and tell us those things that used to be so funny and charming and whatever. And now they're just not. She doesn't have very many peccadillos. But, you know, I always say that's what I just say to her. I'm like, oh, dear, it's OK. It's just one of my little peccadillos. No, it's just you being lazy. No, it's just a peccadillo. You're married to a saint. I know. What about what about. So's Todd. Hours. Ah, he is. Our peccadillos? Yeah. Oh, God. How long do we have? What time is it? I know it. We got about three hours left? Yeah. See, I will defend my peccadillos. Weird. And here's how I'll defend them. One of my peccadillos is that I like everything orderly and in a perfect serial killer-like fashion. You're like General Patton. Yeah, around me, I like things to be in a perfect order and to be laid out absolutely perfectly. Patrick Bateman. Yeah, Patrick Bateman from American Psycho. However, to my defense, it never is. Absolutely never is.
I need a description of more how you like your pins because I have them all facing the same direction. Jay. All lined up. Exhibit A is in front of me right now. That's because you got in here. Hang on. Hang on. Do you guys see? That's not yours. That's not yours. It's a skinny pen with no lid. Where did this Paper Mate pen come from? He's losing his mouth. Whose is it? It's Woods, probably. It's Woodsies? No, I got mine in my tutorial. Mikey likes the pens that are inky. He likes Jetstreams. And they have a grip on them. Yeah, they're .01s. And you can click them. Over behind the phone. I said inky. Your stuff goes over behind the phone, all lined up. Oh, that's mine? Yes, every day it's the same. I had no idea. Mikey, every day it's the exact same. Yeah. I had no idea. You find it. You get over there. You use it. Look. Well, you know what I do? I'm like, somebody put a bunch of stuff over here. See, all I need. Mike. Listen.
Finding out right now. I know. Maybe I am a little crazier than I thought. You know why I put them there? Why? Because that's where you started putting them. When I put them over there, you'd move them over there. No. You know what I was doing? I was moving all the stuff I don't need out of the way over there. And that's why every day I go, this is what I need. This red pen. You paying attention, Jay? That's all you need? I need that. I'm coming in that room right now because you gave me a list of things. You need a red, a blue, and a black. Oh, you're right. Oh, my God. See, Jay, it's just one of his peccadillos. Oh, my God. It's just one of his peccadillos. Was there a woman in your room or a cat? What was that, Jay? Okay, maybe I did. Yellow Sharpie has to be a certain type of Sharpie. No, not a yellow Sharpie. A yellow highlighter. It's a Sharpie brand. Sharpie brand. Yellow Sharpie brand highlighter. Blue Sharpie brand highlighter. Green Sharpie brand highlighter.
One black Sharpie and one red Jetstream. It was red, black, and blue. You needed three pins. You're right. I changed it now. Just red. What happened to the cap on that Sharpie, Mike? Don't worry. I ate it. Don't worry, Jay. It's just one of my Peccadillo. I know. It's fine. I kind of like it now. It's like I know exactly what I need to do. Yeah. It's nice to have order. Like, I like. If you tell me how you like something, I like to do the way that you like to do it. It's true. If I did my news sheet for Mikey differently, every morning it's news, entertainment, bolted the same way, highlighted, underlined. Please do it differently. If I did it differently, he would say, what is this? It's perfection. Where's the news? Let me tell you, Sienna. Sienna knows just the way. She knows how to scratch your itch, dude. Real good. Let me tell you. See, but my husband is you. He's very anal about his things and where they go and everything, so I get it. Yeah. And I'm the same as you, so I'm like, I can relate. What are your peccadillos, LLB?
The same thing, the little order thing. When we send each other lines and you don't bullet them, I'm like, how many times? I don't bullet. How many times? You're supposed to. I don't want to. I don't know how to do it. He finally took the quotes away. I took the quotes away and I don't do the bullets. You don't need the little black dot in front of there. I do, though. How about this one in the morning? When L.O.B. walks in and I've got my stuff over here every morning. I need this stupid little paper. You have six feet over there. No, but that's mic space. Move your chair over. No, I like to be here, you guys. I know, but watch. If you shift a little bit, then you have all this space. Then I can't see you past the speaker, and then this wire's in my face. I have to be right here. So look, I get the smallest surface area of anyone. No, you don't. I sat over there. Look. You get two sides. Tiny. Peccadillo. No, and I take up a lot of space. It's just a Peccadillo element. Look, I have to have this paper, and look, it has to be like this, so you can't see any of the writing underneath the other one. We're all nuts. We're all nuts. Yeah. And I want to hear you M1s. M1 Nation. Phone lines are starting to blow up. 570-1949.

And it's one of those things, too, Mike, that it makes your husband your husband. Yeah. It makes your wife your wife. It makes your wife your wife. And if she were gone, you'd find little reminders of it every day that makes him your husband. Like my laugh, like I imagine that's funny at first, and then you'd be like, really? No, I love it. Would that ever get tired? Not yet. Not yet. I still like it. I'll never get tired. But would that be one? Yes. Or is it like things you do? Could be. Both. I'll tell you. It depends on the person. Screamin'? Yeah, Screamin'. Screamin' Trees? I just got you. I know, it is. Because I just told, I was saying. I used to, we're talking about.
Peccadillos. Peccadillos is something that in the beginning was real cute. Now it's not. And I was saying, I used to date this girl. And she used to say, instead of saying talking or walking or sitting. Driving. Driving. Smiling. It was talking. Walking. The I-N bit. Driving. Smiling. Smiling. You don't need the G. The G is silent. It's... And I was like. Let's go dancing. It drove you nuts. Yes. Dancing. Let's go dancing. I want to do a dancing. Do you? The dancing one bothers me for some reason. Oh, man. And it was always those. It was always those. And maybe the first time that was cute. And then I was like, it was so redneck. Like really, really hayseed? Hayseed. Dancing. Dancing. Really? I love redneck. It was. I love redneck. I do. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Call us and tell us those little things that you have. M1 Kelly from Mission Valley. So when my boyfriend and I started dating, he used to wake me up at about 6.30 every Saturday morning, blasting Bad Romance by Lady Gaga.
Oh, my God. You thought that was cute at one point? You thought it was kind of funny because it's like, oh, it's a guy and he's blasting Lady Gaga. How charming, how different, how unique. Exactly. It's not so cute anymore. Not so much. Why is 630 on a Saturday? He doesn't know how to sleep in. Oh. And he thinks that if he's awake, it's probably my time to be awake. Oh, he wanted you to be awake. Is it always Lady Gaga every time? Got a romance every time. That's amazing. I don't even know that song. It just reminded me that I did that too. There was a girl that I dated that I used to sing Journey. What song? Whatever. Faithfully? Any one of them. And I remember taking a trip with her one time. And I remember where we were. We were driving by Camp Pendleton. And I was getting it. You make me weep. And she goes. Shut up. Oh, my gosh. Gave me the sharp P. Shut up. Yeah, with a P. What did you do? Got irritated and started singing it louder. Oh, gosh. Oh, yeah, you're just like me. Oh, awkward. You 10 years ago. Yeah, me 10 years ago. This was longer than 10 years ago. That's awesome. Oh, yeah. So I go, I go, I go, what? What? Hard T. Hard T. Hard T. We'll get you. What? What?
Oh, boy. She goes, you always sing that so loud. Don't worry about it. That sounds like me. Yeah. I didn't say that. I go, really? Because I'm forever yours. Oh, this is old. This is when Steve Perry was with Journey as opposed to. Yeah. This was years ago. I feel for her, though. You have to feel for her. If she was doing it, Mike, if she was doing that. She had a hard P. You'd be like, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up. Hard P. Hard P got him. Shut up. Oh, I still see myself doing that. You do? Oh, yes. It drives me nuts. How about this? How about this? How about maybe, hey, baby. Hey, sweetheart. Oh, man. I got a headache right now. Like, can you not sing that? Yeah. No, I agree. The way she handled it, no. I would try that way first. And then if you still did it, like, a month later or something. God, shut up. Amazing. God forbid you date like a fun guy. Yeah, fun guy. That's like fun. Having fun. No, but that's just Peccanillo, you know? It's like, well, what is it? Peccanillo? Peccanillo. Peccanillo. But you never, like, maybe you get annoyed with it, but I think you still love it deep down. Yeah, you do. You do. The other night, oh, go ahead. Kevin from M1, Kevin from Oceanside. You there? Yeah. What's yours?
Uh, so I was dating this girl, and I used to cook her dinner, and every time I'd put a plate of food in front of her, she'd say, yummy, yummy, in my tummy. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I would want to shoot myself in the face. Oh, my gosh. I can't wait for the next meal I have. Yummy, yummy, in my tummy. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. It's the worst one ever. Hey, Kevin, Kevin, Kevin, let me ask you. Kevin. Was it one of those deals where you were just, like, in your head seconds before you put that plate down? You're like, here it comes. Here it comes. Here it comes. Yeah, yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy. Tell me in three, two, one. You put the plate down. Oh! I wanted the fawning pan and slap her over the head with her. Hey, Kevin. Kevin. Oh, it's good. You there? Yeah, yeah. Hey, what about at a restaurant? No. Thank God. Really? She did it because he made it. Yummy, yummy in my tummy. He made something good. You know what the worst part of it is? Hilarious. Is when they think you think it's cute. Oh, my gosh. Oh, man. That sounds like something a little girl would say to her dad. Of course. Of course. That's why it was cute. She was trying to be nice. Yeah. But, yeah. In the worst way ever. Yeah. Kevin, this is an ex, right?
Yeah, you better believe it. I just got really nervous. I'm like, oh, no, it's his wife. Well, here's my question, Kevin. Sure. Did you ever tell her? No, I didn't have the heart. You didn't have the heart. Did she listen to the show? No, she still lives in upstate New York. Yummy, yummy in my tummy. If you think about it, man, if you think about the ones that you had, the peccadilly, like you think about the girls. Woodsy, that you've dated, that you had the peccadillo with, that drove you nuts, right? If you think back on it and you picture that girl, she probably had a few. Because as I think back on the thinking, dancing, walking girl. Yeah, there's more. Oh my goodness, man. Like, I can just remember, like, to the point where you go, how did that ever happen? I got one that Jamie does that drives me batty. What is it? Oh, my God. I'm almost too embarrassed to even say it. Is she going to kill you? No, when she talks to her girlfriends, she'll go, hey, girl, and it makes my skin crawl. I used to have a boss, this woman, and she would be like, she hated men. So the girl, she'd walk in, see L-O-B-N-C-N, and go, hey, girl. And it made me ill. And then I would go home, and Jamie's friend Kim would call, and Jamie would go, hey, girl. And I'm like.
For the other room, I'd be like, stop! Oh, man. It drives me batty. Don't anybody Photoshop a picture of Woodsy wearing a t-shirt that says, Hey, girl! Exclamation point. It's the worst. See, me and my friends, me in particular, my friend Sarah, have this thing that we do when we're on the phone with each other. When we're trying to get off with each other, we'll be like... Okay. Like we do this weird voice that no one knows how to initiate it. We're like, okay, well, give me a call. That is great. That is incredible. And we both say it. We're like, why don't we do that? I knew a girl who's, it's actually, I know a girl and she was dating a guy. He did this thing when he called that drove her nuts. He would go, good evening. Oh, my God. I would love it. And she didn't know how to tell him. Every time? I would love that. He thought, well, because the first time she did it, the first time he did it, she was like. She laughed her ass off the first time. Right. And then so he was like, oh, it's a hit. Goals. Good evening.
Holy cow. I love it. Although, maybe if it was every time, maybe I'd get another one. Every time Lauren goes, hello. Good evening. Good evening. Yeah, you're calling to be like, where are you? Right. He enters the phone. Good evening. Okay, Dracula. You're like, hey, yeah, Drac. Chocula. Drac. You know what? Got you. Good night. Oh, gosh. That's the worst. But that's what we want to hear. I had one with my ex, a couple of exes ago. Well, I still do it. This is something that I do. I don't know why. When I'm cold, I shiver, rub my arms, and go, and do that. And he got so mad. He used to be like, that doesn't make it any warmer. I love it. I wonder why that drove him nuts. Strange thing to get angry about. My wife is on the line. Hi, honey. Hi. This is my wife, Rebecca. Hi. Honey, were you listening? Yes. She's like, I've been writing a list for the last 20 minutes. Are you writing? Are you writing? Jotting it down? Yeah, I'm writing it down. So, honey, what is one of your peccadillas that you have with me? Oh, my gosh. Well, the first one that comes to mind for sure is when we first started dating, whenever you would talk about a movie or a book or something, I would say, oh, really? What's that about? And you had this.
Dumb joke line. Oh, it's about two hours. Oh, it's about a thousand pages. Amazing. And when we were dating, I was like, oh, you got me again. Oh, my God. And now, ten years later, I'm just like, oh, I want to shoot myself. And she says she will look at like now when I do it still, she will look at me straight faced with no expression on her face and she'll go. Really? With the two hours? She gives you the L.O.B. daggers? Yeah, the daggers. I love it. It gets old at some point, Mike. Yeah, it does, but it's never going to stop. He's doing it all the time, and I love it. He's never going to stop. My dad does that with the haircut. You'll get sick of it, would be. Oh, I love it. Give it time. Give it time. Can I give one, babe? Yeah, please. Oh, jeez. Oh, jeez. When my maroon man panties aren't laid out on the table. Really? When we put too much starch on them. Yeah, stuff like that. When you don't pack my lunch, right? Rebecca. When you forget, yeah. When Rebecca and I first started dating, I thought that it was really, really classy and cool when she would answer the phone or make phone calls and she would go, hi, this is Rebecca. And it was in a voice that I've never heard. The fake phone voice? Fake phone voice. We all have it. Every girl does it. Fake phone voice.
Professional voice. And so now my wife will be like, so anyway, babe, we got a blah, blah, blah. Hi, yes. Oh, we all do that. Hi. Hi. How are you? What are you doing? The first time you called me from your private number, Mike, I was like, this is Lauren. You have to. Why do women do that? Professional. We want to sound professional. Professional, Jamie, all the time, too. My wife, I mean, she's got a southern accent. She can sometimes sound a little bit like a hayseed. But when she picks up the phone, she's like, hi, Jamie Woods. I do that too. Okay. How you doing? Todd and I guarantee all of you guys do it when you answer the phone. Your voice goes 10 levels deeper. I don't think it does. She does. Higher, I think. Not men. Yeah, that's no problem. I answer the phone like I talk. Hey, what's up, dude? Me too. Hello. Todd's like, what's up, dude? Yeah, what's going on? It's Todd. I will hear her. I will hear Rebecca if she's calling. This is Rebecca calling to make a doctor's appointment. The professional voice, of course.
Hi, this is Rebecca Spartha. And I was wondering, I was calling about Luke. He's my son. And I just wanted to see if you had an opening maybe. And then she gets off the phone and she goes, okay, babe, we have an appointment and it's for tomorrow at 2 o'clock. Oh, it's hilarious. You know, I've talked to Rebecca on the phone. I got to agree with Mike on this, but I got to. She's got phone voice. I'm like Susanna. She's like Susanna. I love it. I love you, baby. I love you, too. I love all your peccadillos. I do, too. I do. Oh, wait a minute. Can I give one more? Mikey! Can I give one more? Well, if you give one more, she has to give one more. Yeah, you got to give one more, too. But this is great. No problem. When I first started dating Rebecca, she decided that she was going to make dinner for me. Oh, no. And so I went over to her place, and she was making steak and baked potato. Oh, you're going to humiliate me right now. And so I walked into the kitchen and saw a pot with boiling water and two potatoes in it. And I said, I go, what are you making? Did they have skin on them? Yeah. Oh, no.
Yeah. I go, what are you making? And she goes, baked potato. And I go, oh, I thought you were making potato salad. Hey, how come you're boiling it? And she goes, what do you mean? And I go, well, the baked potato, you bake it in the oven. And she goes, and I quote. Whatever. Like, it was, like, that was the silliest, like, oh, really, nitpicker. Yeah. You know? It's like micromanager. Yeah. Micromanager. That's amazing. I would have been so mad if you came in my kitchen and criticized my kitchen. You criticized. You criticized. I'm like, she's boiling a potato. She's boiling a potato and calling it baked. Yeah, I honestly, I was like, what are you making? Hey, I wanted to know, what are you making? That's all I wanted to know. Yeah, because when you make mashed potatoes, you, like, boil them. Yeah, cut them and boil them. And so when she said baked potato, I'm confused. What a baked potato. That thing's boiling in some water. Oh, my gosh. Isn't it weird that he ended up marrying me? Yeah. He's such a foodie. I know. I'm surprised he wasn't like, I'm out of here. I know. No caramelized onions. This is BS. Yeah, this is BS. All right. Give me one more, babe. Give me another peccadillo you have with me. Okay. Well, when we first started dating,
One time, I think you asked me to help you, like, balance your checkbook or something. And, you know, we were kind of going through the process. And I was basically trying to teach you how to balance the checkbook. And I thought it was kind of cute. Sure. Oh, look. I'm going to teach him. He needs my help. He's bad with money. Yeah. What every woman loves. Oh, he is so cute and incompetent. It was like, you know, he needed my help. Yeah. And I was like, I was caring for him, you know? And now I'm like, can you make sure to keep that receipt? Because we really need to record that in the checkbook. Oh, there's no way. I don't need that receipt. I don't need that receipt. I'm just like, oh my gosh. Yeah. Figure. You do that best. Yeah. Either that or she'll be like, can you blah, blah, blah with it? And I'm like, babe, you know I can't do that. I'm the same as you, Mike. Yeah. I'm like, you know I can. You know I don't know how to count numbers. I save the receipts and then I get home to a wallet full of receipts. I'm like, great, cool. Throw these out. I love you, baby. I love you. I love you, too. All right. Got weird right there a couple seconds ago. That's so great. M1 Embarrassed from La Jolla. Good morning. How are you doing?
So I've been married for 10 years, and you know how, like, you're laying in bed and spooning with your partner or your wife, whatever? Mm-hmm. And you, like, you want to make out, but you don't know how to quite say it, so you just kind of start moving your hips. Right. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. For 10 years, my wife had no problem with that. But suddenly, out of nowhere, she's like, ah, I can't take it anymore. Ah! So did she tell you, then, how she wanted you to proceed? Well, no. We were kind of just, like, for about two weeks, we were just, like, not having it at all. Because suddenly this was like, what do you mean? For 10 years we've been doing it this way, now you don't want it this way? And so we ended up going to see a tantra lady and kind of doing this whole other... Well, what did they say? What did they get you to do instead? To put your leg over your head. Yeah, yeah. They said, hey, now you've got to get this little red light bulb and whenever you want it, you just hit the light bulb. No, no. No, it's just like a whole different approach. It's not so automatic. There's like a... You do that now? It's real subtle. I'm ready. I'm ready. Oh, boy. Wow. Well, he's still not telling us how he does it, but I still want to know. It's all right. Embarrassed. You're a little embarrassed. You don't have to tell us, but I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you. That's awesome. What a great call. Love it. M1 Embarrassed. 570-1949 is our number. Gavin Rosta. Is this an email, Jay, or was this a text that came through? That was an email. Got an email from M1 Shannon. She said, Mikey, thanks for recommending AIS. I had a great experience and thought other listeners would like to know that AIS offers really great deals, not only on car insurance, but also on homeowners insurance. My former insurance company was charging $2,200 per year. I called AIS and they helped me get a new policy with much better coverage for only $938 annually.
That means I saved $1,262, which is more than 50%. Needless to say, I was really excited. Their representatives were very helpful and the whole process was quite simple. So again, thank you for recommending such a great company. Also, congratulations on the new show. So glad to have you and the new crew on the air in San Diego. That is a real email from M1 Shannon. It's time for the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Good morning to you. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for this Thursday morning being brought to you by Guayaquil Yoramake, best drink in the land. If you haven't tasted it yet, you're a loser. Surf-wise, anyways, we're looking at some decrease in swell out there. West-northwesterly wind and ground swell on the taper, along with some weakening southwesternly swell. All that's being hindered by eddy-like conditions, meaning overcast skies, light, soft winds, and to beat that, we've got a negative low tide we're heading into as well. That all being said, there are still routable waves to be found, averaging in the needle-waist-high zone, chest-high plus, maybe a few shoulder-high waves at the best of the combination spots.
It appears to be a lot cleaner in the north county, though, and that swell is hitting better up in the ocean side zones. As you move further down the coastline, it gets a little bit more shadow and a little bit more selective on where it will hit. Look for some improvement throughout all areas, though, later in the morning as the tide starts to fill in. Water tamps kind of fluctuating between 62 to 64 degrees with that warmer water being found as you head again further up north. So there's ways to be had today, just nothing real special. Take guesses. Biggest TV moment. Surprise. Whoa. Madonna Britney Spears kiss. Yes. Madonna Britney Spears kiss is not on the list of the top 10 greatest TV surprises. Ross and Rachel kiss. Not on the list. Janet Jackson's boob popping out. Oh, yeah. Dude, that should be the number one thing. Are these more like fictional? No, I guess you said Bill Clinton. Yeah, Bill Clinton is one of them. So it's not. And this was actually put together for a media special. I got one. Go ahead. Oswald. Lee Harvey Oswald getting shot. But did that happen on live TV? Yes. Was it? It isn't on there. It was on live TV. It was? It's a good one, though. It's the best one. A guy gets shot on live TV. Elvis Presley performing on... 68 Comeback Special.
Is that what you were thinking? I don't know. The first time he was on when he was told not to shake his hips. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. What was that? It's a great one. The Beatles on the... Beatles on Ed Sullivan. Ed Sullivan, yeah. Or American Manson. I did Bandstand. American Manson. Why don't you just tell me the top ten? End of Sopranos. I know. Come on. These are all great. End of Seinfeld. These are all great, but they're not on the list. When I tell you... And Kramer's name was revealed. You'll probably think that these are awful. No, that's not one. That's a good one, too. Yeah, Cosmo. Arsenio Hall and Bill Clinton playing sax came in at number 10. Lame. Everybody Loves Raymond. Get out of here. Now, these are surprises. Like, whoa, I can't believe it. That was really a trip. Ellen's Kiss. Wait, what was the surprise on Everybody Loves Raymond? That Marie crashed her car through the house. That's what they say. How about ER, Dr. Romano, the helicopters? Nope. How about Deal or No Deal? The first time there was a million-dollar winner ever. On the show, deal or no deal? One is worth $200,000. One is worth $1 million. So this is just some guy's personal favorites? That's what it sounds like, right? No deal. No deal. It was just this rush of energy and mess and lights and screaming. I mean, those kind of surprises and those moments made our show. That was him talking about it.
It's kind of lame to me. Yeah. I'm out on him. Yeah. Hi, Mandel. Maybe he goes back to suspenders and flowers that shoot water out of him. Maybe he's talking like a little kid. Little Bobby's world. Oh, gosh. The number one was Oprah giving every audience member a car. You get a car. You get a car. You get a car. I get a steak sandwich. I get a steak sandwich. You will be the last person today to get one of those cute little G6s. Oh, my gosh. All right, open your boxes. Open your boxes. One, two, three. Feed me. Stop it, Woods. You would be so stoked if you were there. Yeah. First of all, I wouldn't set foot in that broad studio. Yes, you would. No, I wouldn't. Trust me. I'd start my car and run over. No. You guys. You'd probably dent your car, pal. Rebecca wanted me to go see Ellen. Oh, I'd go see Ellen. I would see Ellen. I'd see Ellen. I'm just not into the daytime, like, girly, you know, yeah, doing the dance down the hall, LLB's doing it. I applied to be on Ellen, and I got admitted, but I was told to go in, like, the green room, which is, like, the secondary room, and I was like, oh, screw that. I want to be in the main room. Mom! Yeah. I've seen Letterman.
That's awesome. I've seen Letterman a few times. That's awesome. I saw Chelsea Handler. It's the only person I've ever seen live. I've never done any of that. I haven't either. How about if we did a little bit of this? 20 minutes from now, this theme song will be over. See it every time. I love it. But everyone loves it. I wrote it. It's the longest thing ever. Yeah, it's like Stairway to Heaven. Yeah. Excuse me, it's adorable. It's like my opus. I dare you not to keep this in your head all day. Woodsy, I'm with you. Woodsy just gave me that look. He's like, really? With this theme song? I love it. Don't you dare change it. You're like the Grinch right now. I wrote this theme song. I wrote the worst theme song for the greatest bit. Don't be an Indian giver. We like it. Really? It's eight hours long. It's the summer vacation starting this weekend with a majority of schools. Every kid I know is getting out on Friday or on Monday. So I actually went to a school this time. I'm not going to say which school, but I thought I'd ask him some questions. School's coming to an end. Summer's starting. Are they excited? You can tell me when does summer vacation start. This weekend. Sometimes some really funny things happen in class. Did any funny things happen this year to you guys? What's yours? This year, my teacher is tooted. No.
Way. Amazing. No way. I love them all. Amazing. Praise class ever. I love them all. Do you think the teacher really didn't toot? She didn't. Yeah. Listen. Listen. Oh, my God. It's the funniest thing those kids have ever heard in their lives. Oh, my gosh. Have you heard a teacher toot before? If you could pick one. Oh, yeah. I said, have you heard a teacher toot before? They all said, yeah. Has ever had a teacher fart? No. Never. I bet half of them didn't even know what toot meant. Yeah. Anything in the world that you could do this summer, what would it be? Going to Mummy Island and I'll see mummies there. What? There's no such thing as Mummy Island, really. Yes, there is. Aren't you scared? Kid farts. I'm going to get a knife and cut the mummies in half like this. So it's like being a guy. Did you get this in Compton? Yeah. He wants to go to Mummy Island. I never even heard of it. Mummy Island. There's no such thing, Sienna. I think there was. Mummy Island? Mummy Island. Never heard of it. Just cut the mummies in half. I want to hear Taylor Swift's concert, which I am going to do. She's adorable. She's the sweetest little thing. She's got a very high voice. Can you sing a Taylor Swift song? Let's do it on the count of three. Taylor Swift. One, two. Yeah.
The misfire. It was a misfire. Oh, that was hilarious. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Wow. Your girlfriend, she's upset. They loved little Taylor Swift, apparently. Yeah, I guess they did. They did that real good. I wish I was there with them. It sounds like fun. It's okay. Now, what are you going to miss the most about school? I'm going to miss pooping. Pooping? That's what I miss the most about school. Sienna took her little pan down to the river and found gold. Every once in a while, I strike gold. Oh, my God. I feel like Jed Clampett. This is genius. Pooping. That's what I'm going to miss the most about school. Really? Amazing. Yeah. Maybe that kid doesn't realize he can poop at home. No, it's going to be a long summer for him. No!
Pet day. You're going to bring your pets in? Did you guys learn any lessons this year? Like something that you never want to do again? They say pooping again? One time my mom made me wear yellow pants and everyone laughed at me. Oh my gosh. I was called Michael Shannon. I was called Michael Shannon when it happened. I never wore those pants again. Oh my gosh. All right, guys. It's just us. There's no girls around. Are you, honestly, are you going to miss the girls over summer? No. No, of course not. I hear that you, Alex, and you, Natalie, are boyfriend and girlfriend. This is true. How old are they? First grade, kindergarten, something like that? Yes. Oh, I bet that was Natalie that answered. That was Natalie. Oh, my God. Are you guys going to miss each other this summer, or are you going to hang out? We're going to miss each other. That's the girl? That's the girl, now the boy. I'm going to have a play date. A play date? I'm going to have a play date? What does that mean? What does it mean? A play date? That's what you do when you're little. You have play dates. So he's saying, him and her, they're going to have a play date? She said, we're going to miss each other. And he was like, oh no, I'm going to have a play date. He's the thing he is, Elvis Presley. We're going to have a play date.
We're going to have a play, Dane. Why is he singing it? He's awesome. He's got a girlfriend. Oh, my gosh. All of those kids were the cutest, cutest. I love it. Little girls are all in on little boys. Little boys are all out on little girls. Then it all reverses later on. It all reverses. I used to chase the boys on the playground. I know. Remember? You were a creeper at five. You kissed some little dude while he was sleeping. Scared the poopy out of him. He was sleeping, right? Yeah. Sleeping on his mat. You crawled over there. Creeped over. And while he was, where'd you kiss on his forehead? Kissed him real sweetly. Sweetly. No, I kissed him on his lips. Oh, my gosh. Tongue? Yeah. No. No, but he didn't wake up. He was like, stirred a little bit in his sleep. And then they were like, she kissed you and you were sleeping. His face turned bright red. Yeah. I was the biggest tomboy. Oh. You didn't do any of that? No, I played with all the boys. No, I played with them. Sienna playing kickball. I did. Bounce it. I want it high and bouncy. When people were picking teams, I was the first one picked before boys. Really? We want Sienna. Thanks, guys. She's got huge boobs. She's got huge boobs in kindergarten. I was very flat back then. Jasper, little girls, when I pick a Jasper, I come up and go,
I'm going to marry him. Shut up. Shut up. He just smiles. Yeah, you are. 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Midi Madness. Do we have a prize? Do we have any prize? Absolutely. We're going to have tickets to go see Lauren at the comedy. What is it? Me at the comedy store. Hey, Lauren's going to be at the comedy store. Yeah. Not the Hollywood one, the La Jolla one right here in town. That's right. Pretty big time. Wednesday night, 8 o'clock. She's back on stage. She kind of took a little bit of time off since we've started the show. The way that I found Lauren is that she was a stand-up, and I found her on YouTube. And she's kind of getting back on stage again. And so she'll be at the comedy store on Wednesday night. Yeah. Now, are you going to be doing, are you going to be on stage? Are you going to be like Eskimo Blue Waters and doing it in the parking lot? Telling jokes in the parking lot. No, I'm actually going to be on stage. You're in the club. Yep. Holy shnikes. On the stage, in the club. One of these days you should have Eskimo open for you. Oh, my gosh. 100%. Do you like an alter ego? Yeah. Yeah. Amazing. Eskimo comes out and she's like, oh, yes, it's working.
She just does a couple. It brings like a boom box. Plays the music off the boom box. Is that how it goes? I'm just saying, Eskimo. Maybe we can next prize, Jay. I've got plenty of tickets. Yeah, really? I'm playing a bat mitzvah. We're all good. We've got it covered. You're fine. You're fine. The comedy store, though, if you've never been there, is so fun. It's worth it. I mean, it's right in La Jolla. It's good times. It's good times. Midi Madness, the way that Midi Madness works. You've heard Midi music before. It sounds like it's... It's being played from a little dorky keyboard, like the worst keyboard ever. And back when middies first came out, we kind of thought they were cool. Oh, yeah. And so what we do is we take regular songs and we play them for you. And all you got to do is tell us what that song is. Best out of five. Love this game. Is a winner. We got M1 Andrea from Carlsbad. Hi, Andrea. Hi. How are you? I'm awesome, thanks. And are you on the road right now? Are you driving to work? Yeah. Hope your hand's free. That's right.
Yeah, I'll just yell really loud. There you go. There you go. And M1 Allison from San Diego, are you there? Hey, Mikey, how's it going? It's going good. You guys ready to do a little MIDI madness? Yes. All right, the way that you do it is you use your name as a buzzer. So as soon as you recognize it, just yell out your name as loudly as you can. Do you understand? Yep, yep. Here we go. Neither of you guys know what that is? I have no idea. Wow. That was the Beatles' yellow submarine. That's right. All right, you guys ready? Ready. Let's try another one. Oh, Jesus. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Riveting. I don't know what it is either. All they need is title or artist. That's all they need. Go ahead. I said oh, man, I think. Neither of you guys know? No.
ACDC, Thunderstruck. Oh, I never heard of it. That was Thunderstruck. Welcome to my life, ladies. All right, ladies. I totally empathize. I know it's hard. Best out of three. All right, here we go. Yeah. Oh, nice. What do you guys know is this? Allison. Allison? Is it Snoop Dogg? Is that Snoop Dogg? That's right. It is Snoop Dogg. That's right. Nothing but a G thing. Very well done. So at least you're on the board, Andrea. No, no, I'm not. I'm sorry. Allison. All right, here we go. Here's the next one. Everybody in the studio knows it. I can see it in their eyes. People in their cars are flipping out because they know it right now. I can sing to it. I don't know what it is. What if they can sing to it? Sorry. Anything. Oh, Andrea. I think I know. Andrea. Who do you think it is?
Full black cherry? What's full black cherry? Black cherry? No. Yeah, who's full black cherry? Oh, yeah, totally. Full black cherry. Greatest hits. I actually can't accept full black cherry. That was the wallflowers. And it was one headlight. Okay, so right now, Allison, you're basically winning unless... Andrea can somehow get one right here. It's our last one. Here we go. Allison, go ahead. That is correct. Very well done. That was awesome. And correct. You are a winner. Hang on the line, Allison. Thank you. Sorry about that. See you on Wednesday, Allison. Yeah, Andrea, sorry about that. I feel for you. I really do. Bet you won. And you're going to get to go see LOB at... The Comedy Store on Wednesday. And a bunch of other funny people as well. That's right. It's pretty cool. It's going to be a fun night. You'll have to tell me all about it since I go to Dreamyland a little bit before then. But it's going to be fun. It sounds very cool.
What? You'd be flipped out the entire night. Oh, yeah. Mike. Why? I don't sleep a week. Must be nice. Out on stage. Hey. Should be in bed. Listen, as long as everybody's in here the next day, I'm happy. Okay. You know what I mean? Unlike some people here. Oh, boy. Yeah. Unlike some people here. Maybe you can get yourself a couple Red Bulls. No, I'll be in bed by 10 o'clock at the latest. Well, but you guys. I'll be asleep. Woodsy, remember that time that you overslept? Yeah. That one time. I don't know what you're talking about. That was this week, actually. Yeah, remember that one time that you overslept and you didn't? You didn't show up to work. I showed up to work. You didn't show up to work. Two hours late. Like, until two hours. 30 minutes late. Two hours and six minutes. Two hours and six minutes. You're unprepared. It's two hours. Two hours and six minutes. That one time. No, I don't remember what you're talking about. We won't have to worry about that. I have no idea. I always, I'm focused on the future, not the past. That's what I do. Is it, was that your bonehead at work moment or have you had a worse one? Oh, dude, that's number one. By far. Number one? With a bullet. Really? Yeah. Silver bullet. With a bullet. After that, what? And by the way, what's the boneheadiest thing that you've ever done at work? You ever flooded a place? Have you ever lost a billion dollars for a place? What's the most boneheaded thing? I'll tell you what mine was. What? I used to work overnights. My first on-air job, I used to work overnights at this rock station called KFOX in...
Tucson. I was the only person in the building all night long. And the morning guy was also my boss, okay? The guy that came in to do mornings and relieve me from my shift was also my boss. His name was Royce Blake. He used to talk like this. Wow. And super funny guy. And he called me into his office and said, I had a talk with my news girl, Sherry. And Sherry would like me to ask you to please shut the door when you go number one. Holy cow. It was a single bathroom. And I would go in there and I was by myself. And it was three in the morning. I was like, there's nobody here. I had no idea she was there. Where was she? I guess she would walk in, you know.
be in her office or whatever. I had no idea. She'd walk by the bathroom. Oh, my gosh. I had no idea she was there. Even if she wasn't, are you still closing the door? Three o'clock in the morning. I was like, you know, there's nobody here. That sucks that she got thrown under the bus like that. And there's no, you know, mistaking it. As it got later and I knew people were showing up to work, I would have been scared to death. I'd be shutting that door. Oh, man. Oh, yeah. I used to go tinkle having no idea that there was this person like, hey, why don't you tell the bear that's working here to please shut the door while he's doing his business. 570, we're getting some good ones. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com. Kids picking the music today. Good choices. Thanks, buddy. Kids singing this weekend, too. It's Buddy's wedding. Yeah. It's going to be... Got a whole set list planned and all kinds of good stuff. You're going to be nervous. How many songs? I'm going to do... I'm playing on or part of like eight songs. Ooh. Yeah. Really? Yeah. That's cool, man. Singing their first dance by myself. Just me and my acoustic guitar. Their first dance. Wow. You're going to be nervous? Yeah. More nervous. Playing their first dance or dancing in your first dance? Playing. That was hammered in my first dance. Weird. M1 Karen from Mira Mesa. Hello? Hi. What's the most boneheaded thing you ever did at work? Okay, so I was working next door in this, and I had been waiting to go to the bathroom for like a really long time. My boss was supposed to come in. And it was about an hour and she was late, so I was like, oh, forget it. I'm just going to go. So I go to the bathroom, and then I'm hearing a knock at the door. So I wash my hands, I go to the door, and it's the plumber, because they're working on the pipes next door, the laundry place next door. And he's like, can you guys, like, not use the bathroom for a few hours? Because we're working on the pipes, and every time you flush, like, everything ends up on the floor. And I was like, oh, okay, I'll let everybody know. And then this old lady from my work, like, comes up in the back door, she goes...
Easy for you to stay. You just wet. And I was, like, totally red. Oh, wow. Oh, my gosh. And this guy was, like, really cute. That's a bad... Yeah. Holy cow. Oh, my gosh. And then she, like, totally threw me under the bus, and I was, like, and I was, like, standing there, and I was, like, oh, and he goes, that was you? Oh! Gross. Gross. And I was like, damn. Yeah. That was me. Wow. That's embarrassing. That is embarrassing. Thank you, Karen. That is a big one. Let's see. M1 Jasmine from Scripps Ranch. Hello. Hi. How are you? Good. How are you? Good. You had a prank that went wrong? It went right, but it was my first job and I worked in like a dog kennel. Yeah. Like my first weekend working there and I used to work nights when they were closed and feed the animals. I took the place of another kid that used to work there, and I didn't know him, but my friend did that I worked with. And he used to be not very nice to the animals, and he didn't really care about his job, so he was getting fired, and he didn't know. So we talked him into coming in for the last time to help us. And when he came in, we, like, set up some of the kennels with, like, just empty dishes that looked like dirty dishes.
And we talked him into, like, going in and picking him up. And in one of the kennels that was empty, when you went in there, we locked him in and just totally, like, took the hose to him. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. And he, like, chucked the dog food everywhere. And, like, he flipped out. We totally got caught. And the vet was, he was cool because they didn't really like him anyway. Oh, my gosh. So you guys didn't get fired for hosing down your coworker? Oh, my gosh. It's like prison. Yeah, it sounds like prison. It should have hosed him down if he wasn't very nice to those dogs. Yeah, it was Shawshank. Clown. Oh, my gosh. Thank you, Jasmine. Thank you. Maybe the kid takes a belt to that guy. M1 Dan from San Diego. Belt. Are you there, Dan? Yeah, go ahead. Hey, so I was working at the Burger King at Pacific Beach many years ago, and there's a little button underneath the cash register, so I pushed it. A couple minutes later, this cop comes up and goes, you got a robbery? No way. And I go, no, can I take your order? And he's like, and I looked up, and there's like 10 cop cars. Dude, you didn't know? You didn't know that's what that did? I would have had no idea either. But yeah, but don't they tell you? He saw a big shiny button and goes, ooh.
What does this do? What does this do? I would have done the same thing. Dan, they don't, they didn't tell you your first, that'd be the first thing you'd think they'd tell you. They never told me, and so the manager goes, what happened? And I was like, I don't know, this cop, and the cops were all around, and then they were like, we got to sign an alarm, and I said, oh, that little button underneath the cash register. Oh, wow. That's so great. Mike? Yeah? I just remembered one worse than showing up late to work. What was it? I worked at the YMCA after school, like junior, senior year of high school. And I would play basketball with the kids and football and baseball and everything. So this dad comes in and he goes, you're a pretty sharp guy. He goes, I want to talk to you. I got a business opportunity for you. Great. Make a little more money. He owned a tuxedo rental place. Okay. So he hires the kid to drive one of those big vans full of tuxedos. And you just go to all the different tuxedo stores. You drop off the orders. Yeah. So I have this big rack. Full of tuxedos. It's prom season, okay? Yeah. I've got 50 tuxedos on this rack, and I'm trying to push this rack into the store. It falls over. In the oily, wet parking lot, there's people's tuxedos. Dude, you know what I did? What? Grabbed them all, threw them all back in the truck.
Drove back to the tuxedo place, left the keys in the car. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I didn't answer my phone. Then I had to quit the YMCA and not work at the YMCA anymore either. Oh, because his kid was there after school. Dude, there were there. I did it. There were scared. There were 50 kids that were like. Hey, I'm here to pick up my tux for prom tonight. Oh, I'm sorry. We don't have a tux. Dude, this guy very well may be out of business. I have no idea. But I flipped out so bad and I couldn't get the cart to go. Did he start calling you? Oh, yeah. He called my house. How long did it take him to stop calling? He probably called like five times. Oh, my gosh. I'm nervous right now. I'm nervous right now hearing it. The fear that was in my... There was oil and crap all over these tuxedos. I was like... Oh, yeah. You're dead. What do I do? I just threw him in the truck and went back and left the keys in the car. That just reminded me of one. When I was 18, again, one of the first... Same place, KFOX. I was 18, so happy to be working in radio. And Oingo Boingo came into the studio. And I was so excited at 18 years old to be meeting Oingo Boingo. Wow. They were a big thing at the time. And so...
My boss said, hey, can anybody drive them to the venue? And I go, oh, yeah, I can, I can. And he was being cool. He's like, all right, Esparza, you get to take them. I'm like, okay, cool. Got the keys to the van. They all piled in the van. We took off. I had no idea where the venue was. Zero idea. Zero idea. But I was not going to say no. If when they said, can anybody drive them? I said, yes, I can. Oh, my God. And I could. I could take them. Get a Mapsco. A Mapsco? Yeah. What's a Mapsco? What is that? It's a Mapsco. It's like you look for the street that you want to go on and it has a little map. Like a Thomas Guide? I know what a Thomas Guide is. It's the same thing, right? I don't know. Maybe they just have them in Texas. But Mapsco is called. Yeah. I didn't have a Thomas Guide. I didn't have a Mapsco. Do you know what happened? What? Danny Elfman remembered how to get to the venue. The singer. The lead singer of Oingo Boingo remembered how to get to the venue. I had to say to Oingo Boingo, once we started driving, you guys, I don't know how to get there. Do you remember it like it was yesterday? I remember it like it was two hours ago. Was he irritated with you or was he cool about it? They started laughing. They started laughing and Danny Elfman goes, I think I remember how to get there.
Oh, my God. And he goes, what's this street called? And we were literally, like, driving, waiting until we got to the next street sign to read up on the post. Oh, this is Speedway. This is Speedway. He's like, yeah, I think you just keep going straight. We drive straight, and he go, I'm pretty sure you take a right here. And all we had to do was get into the U of A, the University of Arizona area. Once we got there, he knew exactly how to get to the venue. Holy crap. No, of course not. Never said a word. Why would you? That's awesome. Oh, my gosh. Oh, it was. How old were you? 18 years old. Oh, my gosh. And they said, hey, anybody drive them to the van? Yeah, I can. I can. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. I have a license. Yeah. Okay, Esparza, you take them. Amazing. No idea. Oh, that's hilarious. Didn't know how to get there. M1 Bond calling from Penasquitos. You there? I'm here. What did you do? Something really stupid. I was, I think, 19. I lived in Huntington Beach, and I worked for a bookstore.
helped me acquire some psilocybin mushrooms. Psilocybin mushrooms? And I'd never done this before. So I'm at the bookstore. It's 15 minutes before we get off. And I'm like, well, I'll be okay. And so I munch some of them. And I didn't make it. I looked at the assistant manager and said, I got to go right now. The funniest thing is before he had asked me for some and I gave him some. He turned into an elephant. Yeah. Oh, my God. I could not function. I had a bicycle at the time and I lived in Huntington Beach. Oh, my gosh. It's dark. The only thing you can see are like cars coming, like they're headlights. And that was the worst 15-minute ride in my whole life. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That is terrifying. I literally thought I was going to die. Yeah. And then the worst part is the manager found out I left early. It was 10 minutes, and the assistant manager was the one that told me I could leave, and he got me fired. But I don't know. It's kind of funny. Yeah, dude, that is a crazy story. Thank you. Thank you very much. This person didn't even want to put their name, but they texted in. Didn't want to put their name.
Mikey, I deleted my new boss's entire email account on mistake. Oh, no. He's an executive for a very large company here in San Diego. Oh, my gosh. What would you do? Oh, my gosh. When that thing comes over you, in that moment where you go, and you realize. I would cry. It's the worst feeling. And how do you say to a guy, I have to tell you something? Imagine if one of us did that to yours. I accidentally deleted your email account. Oh, my gosh. What would you say if one of us did that to yours? And it was, like, gone and there was no way to get it back? Nothing. At that point, I would know that, what's the point? What can you do? Yeah, what's the point? Like, there's no point getting, like, I'll tell you, my dad, you guys know my dad was a disciplinarian, right? He was a hardcore disciplinarian. You guys ever have bunk beds? Yeah, yeah. Uh-huh. Bottom of a bunk bed has these little strings that hang down, these little stringy things that hang down from the bottom of the mattress above your head. My brother Sam thought it would be a really good idea to take a lighter and singe them. He thought that if he lit the lighter and put the flame to the bottom of the little things that they would go and curl up and turn black and curl up. That's what he thought.
What he didn't think would happen is that it would go and instantly light the entire bottom of the bunk bed on fire. Like the movie Backdraft where it goes. Holy cow. Whole thing catches on fire and it's in flames. Oh, my God. In your house. In my house. And my brother screams. My dad runs into the room and does the whole adrenaline thing. Oh, my goodness. So adrenaline releases into your body. From your brain, goes in your body, and you get this crazy burst of energy. And my dad took the mattress, threw it against the wall, took the blankets, and started pounding on it and put it out. Holy crap. Put the fire out. Your dad's James Bond. Burn the house down. My brother Sam thought, he'll kill me. He's going to kill me. He'll actually cause death. He'll kill me. He didn't say a word. I've talked to my dad about it. My dad said,
I knew how traumatized he was. He was a basket case. I knew he was a basket case. How old was your brother when he did that? Like 12. Oh my gosh. And so my dad knew. I mean, at that point, what's the point really of like. Insult to injury. You know what I mean? Like you're mentally, if you're that kid, you're like boing. Terrified. Yeah. You feel like life is over. So my dad was like, oh, it's a point. What am I going to do? Oh, my gosh. It's kind of one of those deals. Oh, man. Unbelievable. Yeah. I've got one. Go ahead. I was supposed to buy 50 registration blanks of these little pads that we used for the radio station, and each one would have 100 on it. Instead, I ordered 5,000 with 1,000 on each other. Oh, gosh. We go to pick them up. Holy cow. And it was $7,000. Oh, no. It should have been like $250. Oh, my God. It was my first job as a promotions director. And I walk into, I have to go into the general manager's office. He's this old man. And I got my tie on. I'm just like sweating. Oh, my gosh. Yeah. He's like, well, and he was so cool about it. He's like, well, how long will these last us? I said, these will last us forever. Forever. Matter of fact, they're still using them, I'm pretty sure. Oh, guaranteed.
15, 20 years ago. $7,000. Okay, so 7,000 tablets with 1,000 entries. No, it was $7,000. No, no, no. How many did you buy those? It was 5,000 entry blanks, each with 100 stacks on it. So there were 500 stacks on it. So they were this tall. They were the craziest looking entry blanks that I've ever seen. Oh, my gosh, dude. So he cut the check and it was no big deal? He cut the check and he's like, no big deal, dude. Let's just be careful. Probably had to tack $250 on top of that to rent the U-Haul to haul them all. We had to have a storage unit for him after that. That's amazing. It's crazy. This M1 Brando said, I fell asleep in the lifeguard chair when I was supposed to be guarding lives. Just to say, that was my last day at work. Totally kind of a rabbit hole here. But have you guys ever gotten a little too comfortable with a boss and you said something or did say like you thought you guys were my very first job was working as like a clerk at a at like a clothing store. And I said, you know, I was like, get out of here. I remember what I said, but I said something to him like he told me to do something. I'm like, get out of here. And I remember him. Come here, Michael. Oh, Jim.
don't tell me to get out of here. And I just remember being like... Do you remember what you and Eddie did to me? What? What you made me do? No. You don't? At our Christmas party? At the Christmas party. When you made me get on stage in front of the entire company, the whole Clear Channel, and made me do an imitation of our general manager? Oh my gosh, yeah. Yeah. Yes. Oh my gosh. They got me drinks. I drank... I don't know, 30 Captain and Cokes. And then they're like, Woods, go on stage and do your Tom Schur. Let me just say this. I remember at the time thinking that that was a great idea. Oh, yeah. Tom Schur. I really did. Was he cool? The box? Not with that. Not that cool. Not so much. I was all of 25 years old. The already kind of known as the wild card weird. Well, yeah. Imagine him 10 years ago. No, I don't want to. Pounding cocktails. And Woodsy and Eddie, or Mikey and Eddie go. Get up there and do your Tom shirt. At the company Christmas party, I go, give me the mic. And we were, yeah, we were like, dude. Oh, you were in it? Oh, I did it on stage. And I was like, this is Tom's shirt. And all I remember, all I remember was, I remember Tom at the very beginning of it, at the very beginning of it, he kind of had a laugh like, huh. And then it just went to not really smiling, to just kind of like, you know, nodding his head.
And I remember looking over at him and going, oh, no. I looked over at Tom Schur and I went, oh, no. Oh, no. What did you do after that when you saw him at work on Monday? Oh, I just avoided him like the plague. Oh, yeah. He didn't like it. He didn't like it even a little bit. Whiskeytown Dreams because the kid's picking the music today. You might know this one, Mike. I'm a Fleetwood Mac. I know this one, actually. Yeah. Does that sound good? It does sound good. Okay, so this may get a little bit. crazy when we come back. Because you may have heard about the officer punching the teenager in Seattle. Video of it is all over TV. And if you haven't, it has been a very explosive conversation off the air. And so we'll discuss our feelings and thoughts when we get back.

Liam Gallagher. Was that funny that I didn't know if it was Noel or Liam? No, no. Because you started to laugh. No. How silly. How could I not know that Liam is the singer? Would this be weird? What are you doing? I don't know. I'm trying something new. Really? Is this weird? I don't know. Is there a pew over there? There's a pew. What did you decide? Hey, I'm not going to use a chair. I'm going to, you know, kneel down. All right. Sure. No problem. I dropped something. I had to get it. You did? He just calls himself out on a fart. You ready for this? Absolutely. Not really at all, but sure, why not? Me either. At all. I really don't. We're going to give this conversation a shot. Are we? Well, we're going to try. I mean, even though you and I have been going round and round about it off the air. For three days? For three days, we're going to try it on the air. Okay. All right, have you heard the story about the Seattle cop? Seattle. Seattle.
Seattle cop starts with a couple of teenagers crossing the street with their jaywalking. Yeah. And a cop stops him, right? Uh-huh. Now, what happens, Sienna? A guy. He stops a guy. Then he looks over and sees some girls jaywalking as well. Pulls them over to his car where he is going to be sighting them for jaywalking. And this all gets videotaped, by the way. Videotaped in Seattle. Just ridiculous. Takes him over to his car. And this woman basically freaks out when he tries to cite her for jaywalking. And so she's throwing a scene, vulgar, yelling at him. What does he do when she reacts to him? Punches her in the face. Now, wait a second. That is not what happened. Isn't it? No, it isn't what happened. What happened was... he's holding one of the girls, and her girlfriend grabs his arm. And when she grabs his arm, he punches her in the face. But, I mean, all I see is a punch in the face to a teenage girl. I understand. That's all I see. Now, first of all, when I saw the video, I have no idea that these are teenage girls because they don't, to me, they don't look like teenage girls. They look like girls.
All I'm telling you is they look like adult women. And if I'm the cop, I have, first of all, I got no idea what protocol is for a cop. I just, I don't know. And I will say this. If that cop did something outside of cop protocol, he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. No doubt in my mind. With that being said, You know who doesn't get punched by a cop? People that aren't fighting cops, grabbing cops, pulling on cops. Now, whether or not it's a woman or it's a guy or whatever, my feeling on it is this cop, and it's easy for us now. And that's what I was, Woodsy and I were talking about. I said, it's easy for us now to sort of pause the tape, sit back in our chair, cross our legs, take the laser pointer.
Point it up at the TV and go, now you see when he did this, how wrong he was, blah, blah, blah. Where I said, while it's going on, this girl's flipping out. You're grabbing her. Another girl comes over and grabs you. Your heart starts beating. You're like, holy cow, what's going on? A normal person would, but a cop who's trained should not be doing that. Hey, listen, I don't know what protocol is. You kind of do. I really don't. You kind of know what it's not. If a girl was pushing you, are you going to punch her in the face? Well, I can say this. I know that when they were beating up Rodney King, that was not protocol. Right. Well, I was a bouncer in Chicago, and there was a girl fight one night. And I'm literally the skinniest bouncer in the history of Chicago. But there was a girl fight. And these are Chicago girls. These aren't little wafy girls. These girls were going at it. And I had to get in the middle of them. Now, my heart was racing like a madman. Right. You know what I didn't do? I didn't punch either of them in the face. Right. And you know what else I'm not? I'm not trained. I'm not trained to do a wrist lock or a takedown or I don't have a taser or a mace or a pistol or a billy club. That you're actually proving the point for the cop, I think, because you didn't have a weapon on you. And the bottom line is, is that while you're trying to restrain for some while you're restraining somebody and you got a weapon on you. I mean, I've seen those police chases.
you know, caught on video, police chases, where a guy's getting arrested, girl's getting arrested, and they do the flip out on the side of the road that's caught from the dash camera of the cop, and the first thing they do is try to go for that cop's weapon. Sure. In this case, we all saw the video, didn't see anything like it. Now, had these two teenage women wrestled this police officer to the ground, he may have been within his rights to defend himself like that. But his, in my thing, right. You know who doesn't get in trouble? The person that doesn't attack a cop. I got you. And I agree. They were wrong. You don't close fist punch a teenage girl. Or you don't slap her. By the way, like I said, it's easy now. And man, didn't that sound powerful? You don't punch a teenage. And let's highlight, underline, put in italics the word teenage. You mean at the time he knew that these were. These look like adult women. You don't punch a woman. All I'm saying is, is that it sounds really bad when you go. They look like teenagers to me. You don't punch. You don't punch a child. A teenage child. Like I saw the tape. They look like look at their faces. They look like babies. They're not scaring me. They didn't look like teenagers to me. How many times have you even seen a video? I'm sorry, but I've seen a lot of like what.
you know, people, the dashboard tapes and you see someone getting roughed up, you hardly ever see a punch to the face. You see like a wrestle down to the ground or something like that. Yeah. Let me ask you this. I am. Now we have to stop and I got to tell you, I don't want to say that I'm defending this move. Right. That's why I said from the very beginning, if this guy, if the cops look at, you know, his superiors look at it and they go. you know you're not supposed to do that. Sure. Then my deal is, you moron. I hope this clown is taken to jail. Prosecuted, whatever, yeah. Absolutely. Now, if they look at it and they go, as a cop, that's absolutely, you defend yourself however you can defend yourself. That girl was grabbing him. He doesn't know.
Who she is. He doesn't know that she's just a harmless teen. I never said harmless. He doesn't know who she is or what she's going to do. And listen, if that guy is my brother and she ends up stabbing or shooting him, I would say I wish he would have kicked her in the face to get away from her. Sure. Because I don't want my brother that's a guy. And by the way, I got a cousin that's a cop. Yep. And they deal with a lot of wacky and very like. Very unpredictable, unpredictable things. I've seen the show cops before. I haven't seen a lot of punches in the face. I see a lot of other ways to restrain. That's the thing. Pin them down to the ground, put your knee in their back, handcuff them, whatever. Stiff arm. And, like, here's the deal. It looked, and like we said, we don't know. So before you call and fillet me, we don't know. Or me. I don't know. We don't know the whole story. But it sounds like she was flipping out for being cited for jaywalking. Yeah. And you can see him. At first, like, just grabbing her. And I think her friend got nervous for her and was like, get your hands off her. She was just jaywalking. She's yelling at you. And then that's when it just went. Who yells at a cop, though? Who responds that way to a police officer? I don't know. Teenagers. No, nobody should. If my kids did that, you know. I agree with you, bro. Teenagers like, that's okay. No, it's not okay. Those girls were completely in the wrong for roughhousing. First of all, for jaywalking. That's against the law.
They should have been cited for it if a cop was there and decided to cite them for it. He's completely within his rights, and they're wrong. And they're wrong for attacking him or doing anything. I think you get what you deserve. If you mess with a cop and you don't respond properly. That's what people are saying. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. No, sir, is what you do. I just thought it was a little extreme. I know you're going to think I'm making this up. I'm not. When I was like 18 years old, I was pulled over in my little white pickup truck. And this was the meanest cop. He was so mean. And you know what his name was? What? I swear to you. Officer Wood. Not an S. Just Wood. It was Wood. I'll never forget this officer's name. And he was so mean. And the whole time. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. No, sir. Well, you reacted properly. I'll tell you how I could have reacted. I could have told him to go F. Yeah.
And he probably would have killed you. Yeah, he probably would have done some gnarly stuff. But I listen, man, my dad, the way I grew up. Yes, sir. No, sir. And what I remember out of that situation was he still gave me a ticket. He was a jerk. But my two wrongs don't ever make a right. Absolutely. They don't. Right. I mean, I don't make a right. Bro, I got pulled over the other day. And you always, you're like, you don't, you know, whatever. You're wild and you don't respect whatever. And I do, man. And, like, the guy pulled me over. We ended up having a conversation about radio for 10 minutes. And he actually cut me a break, you know, so I don't hate cops. I'm just saying, in this instance, dude, he punched this teenage girl. Sorry. He punched this woman in the face. Didn't even knock her out, dude. But he punched her in the face. It was very rough. Let's take some calls. And they're going to go both ways. Oh, for sure. For sure. Uh, M1 Kyle from San Marcos. Is that, is this Kyle? I don't know. I could have gotten a one, two, three, four. Nope. M1 Kyle. How are you? The story said that he made contact. The girl started walking away when he asked for her ID and everything. She started walking away from him. So she's resisting. Then the girl in the pink is 19.
So she's not a teenage girl. She's a woman. And both of them have been arrested for resisting arrest and getting in scuffles with police officers before. Yeah, I knew that she had a previous altercation. Yeah. So they have no respect for the law and authority. None whatsoever. Do you really think it's worth a punch in the face? Yeah, I probably should have shot her. She did not attack him. That is not an attack. Woods and Sienna. Have you ever been attacked? Hey, by the way, I've been attacked. I've been attacked by three guys in an alley. That wasn't an attack. She put her hand on his wrist. Did him get nervous? That's weak. Hey, Woods. Yeah. She put her hands on his wrist? Yep. Not his pistol. Let's say you're right. It's not an attack. In fact, that's a friendly gesture to a cop, right? No, it's not a friendly gesture, but it's not an attack. Okay. Let's take your point. It's not an attack and it's also not a friendly gesture. Absolutely not. What is it? I don't know. It's something to where if you're a trained professional, you can probably get out of that move. Yeah. If I'm a trained professional and somebody puts their hand on my wrist.
And I'm not a trained professional, and I don't know what protocol is when somebody puts their hand on your wrist. I actually don't know. Right. And it isn't just protocol for somebody putting their hand on your wrist. It's you have two people. Yeah. You're not with one person putting their hand on your wrist. You're dealing with one person who just walked away from you when you were trying to get their ID. When that happens, you're probably already... Yeah, I'm sure he's multitasking here. Try to handle both of them. It's hard. He's multitasking. He's slinging tickets out. The girl absolutely acted wrong. I'm not denying that. I'm not denying that. She should have been arrested. You're resisting arrest. You're fighting with an officer. You need to handle it better. A close-fisted punch to the face. But a close-fisted punch to the face to a girl when she grabs your wrist seems... Like if you're in a fight and if you're arguing with a guy at a bar and he grabs your wrist, are you going to punch him in the face? Like even that seems gnarly to me. It seems excessive to me. And as somebody that doesn't know anything, it seems excessive to me. That's all I'm saying is that it's excessive. But I think that you're saying just like I am saying, I think we're both saying much more than just the root of our point.
I think that I'm saying much more when I go, you know who doesn't get punched in the face by a cop? And I think that you're saying much more when you go, really? You're just going to get all upset because you're touching your little wrist? She yelled at you real good. She hurt your feelers. I could see how he felt like. He was in a dangerous situation if he's got two unruly people and one grabs him. And I'm not denying that. I mean, maybe it's not as severe of an attack that you experienced, Woods. But I could see how he's like, this could get out of hand. This could escalate. And people are human beings are unpredictable. I'm not denying that. I just think the, OK, let me just cold cock somebody in the face. It seemed like a very inexperienced move on his part. You saw it, right? I haven't seen many dudes punch dudes like that. Seriously. I mean, I haven't. That was MMA, haymaker style, on the shoulder, and follow through. And I was like, dude, he just, and he landed flush. Now, here's what we don't have the benefit of. We don't have the benefit of audio. Right. Because if he's saying to her, as a cop, I don't know what this person's going to do. Stop. Back up. Stop. Back up.
I don't want to shoot you. And I don't know that you have a gun. So stop and back up. And she's going, I'm not going to stop and back up. In fact, get your hand. And now he puts his hands on her. I don't care if it's a guy or a girl. You're going down. Fair enough. I've already told you, get off of me. I'm trying to do my job. Get off of me. I don't know that you have a gun. I don't know what you have going on. And if you touch me, you're probably going to get punched in the face. And that's the unknown. That's the unknown. And, you know, like you said, man, cops don't know what's coming from a traffic stop, from anything. Well, I'm sure they're taught. I mean, I don't know. I'm sure that they're taught to use whatever force they deem necessary. It's up to the discretion of the officer to take control of the situation. So I don't think he'll be. reprimanded necessarily but was it from a personal code of ethics standpoint did he make the best move have you ever seen a cop use a nightstick he could have pulled out his nightstick and that would have been a lot worse trust me i think he took he was surrounded in my world he's like he's having to do what he has to do at that point fair enough hey no we're all you know hey we're all gonna look it doesn't seem like it's at that point it doesn't seem like girls are all jumping what should he have done
A wrist lock. A stiff arm, a wrist lock. Something that he was trained to do. It was not out of line necessarily yet. I would love to hear from a cop. Yeah, so would I. That will tell us if you're restraining somebody and someone else comes up and grabs you while you're trying to restrain somebody, what do you do? M1S is in the military. I don't know that he's actually a cop though. I can tell you what's going on right now. Go ahead. Well, this event has been referred to the Department's Office of Professional Accountability for review. But the president of the Seattle Police Officers Guild has released a statement. He said the officer did nothing wrong. We will always review incidents like this. This is how police officers learn. I am confident that the review will show that the officer was totally justified. He was defending himself. Good. If that's the case, more power to you. Yeah. I mean, if that's the case and he comes back and it's. Hey, man, this is what you're supposed to do. I don't know if it'll come back as a reprimanded, like he did something wrong. He's suspended. Now, let me tell you, if it comes back and that's true, I'm going to be, I will be angry. Why? I'll be angry at the notion that anybody is upset at this guy. Well, it's going to happen. Bro, it's going to happen. It's going to happen.
I'll tell you why. But why is it being sent to review? If it was a no, like not a big deal, I'd be like, oh, because it's all over the news. I think that the reason that it wouldn't be being sent to review unless it was on every news agency. And you know why it's on every news agency? Because it sells. Because we're talking about it. Oh, it's shocking. And we haven't talked about it yet, but you know what's going to happen. You know there's going to be a race card. It's going to be played. And I didn't when I looked at it, I didn't see that, man. I really didn't. I saw I saw gender. I didn't see race. I saw gender. And that's what really tripped me out. I saw authority. OK, I saw authority. And to me, it's like I don't care what race, what gender you are. Respect authority. Respect authority. Respect authority. And if you don't respect authority, don't expect to be respected. Fair enough. Fair enough. I mean, that is so I just I can't even like that seems like such a basic concept to me that if you are like. Did you get your feelings hurt when I was telling you to F off, cop? Yeah. But that doesn't give you the right to punch me. No, maybe it doesn't give you the right to punch me, but I'll tell you what it does. And I shouldn't have said yeah. But what I will say is, guess what you don't get to do? What? You don't get to be disrespectful to authority. If you do, the hammer's going to come down on you. And if you don't, if you don't, you stand a much better chance.
Of the hammer not getting thrown down on you. And if that is right, what she just said, the hammer was justified. So if a cop is in. Rodney King, totally different situation. Those cops should go to jail for a long time. So you're saying if I disrespect authority or Lauren tells a cop to stick it where the sun don't shine, he can punch her in the face. No, no. You just said if you disrespect authority, the hammer will be dropped down. We can actually listen to the tape because I made sure that I said your chances. Go what I said. The chances of you. We play back. Play back. Because I swear you said if you disrespect authority, the hammer will be brought down. If you disrespect authority, the chances of the hammer coming down on you are much higher. There's no question. Absolutely. There's no question. And the hammer being a fist maybe or a billy club or a butt of a revolver. Woodsy, I'm telling you, man, I think that it's really, really wrong. For us to, it seems like with this whole situation, people discount so much. Sure. The fact that, man, they already have a criminal record of disrespecting and being disorderly. He didn't know that? No, he didn't. You know what else he didn't know? He didn't know if they had a gun or not. Fair enough.
But, I mean, it's not like they were being suspected of robbery or doing something. They were crossing jaywalking. I mean, the punishment, in my opinion, should fit the crime. And did he maybe overreact in being like, you will get this ticket. Well, you know, you realize that they said that when he was trying to talk to them, he may have talked to them about the jaywalking and it's no big deal. Except for the fact that they were walking away from him and not talking to him about it. Now, if it's me. and I'm jaywalking and a cop writes me a ticket, my response in my head is, I'm like, I'm so stupid. If a cop got me for jaywalking, I wouldn't curse at him, but I'd go, really, man? You're really giving me a ticket for jaywalking? That happened to me when we were in Hillcrest. I would say that. When we went to Pinkberry or wherever we went that one time, don't you guys remember? I crossed the street and a cop was walking by. There wasn't a light there. There wasn't anything. I just crossed the street, not at a crosswalk. And he yelled something to me like, you better watch what you're doing. That's illegal. You know, and I just looked at him. I was like, so let me ask both of you guys, because you guys both have the same opinion about it. You guys jaywalk a cop bus you for it. It's his bad or your bad. It's my bad. I'm going to take the ticket. That's not what you guys have said. No, I would say you're really going to give me a jaywalking ticket. How about sign it and I pay it? Hey, dude, I think that it's kind of a.
a wimpy move to give somebody a jaywalking ticket. 100%. That's what I'm saying. Dude, I totally do. But again, like I said, if it happens, bro, I'm like, I think the first thing that I think, the first thought that comes into my head is... Got me. Got me. I am so sorry. And they didn't write the law. They're trying to enforce it. Of course. I'm signing it and paying it. It's their job to enforce it. I'm signing it and paying it. I understand that. But some of them can be a little over the top. Like this guy was already citing another guy. And while he's giving this guy a ticket, he's flagging down these other girls. Like, you're jaywalking. Come over here. Get to the car. You know? And it's just like he's lining them up. And it's like, man, I understand that. But it's like. Ah, just chill out. To me, it seems a little bit of letting some authority go a little too far. To me, the jaywalking thing is like ticketing someone on a bike without a helmet. You're breaking the law in California. Well, why do we have a law about it? Yeah, then we should change the law. Let's change the law. Why do we have a law in California about eating oranges in a bathtub? I mean, it's a ridiculous law. That law, though, Woods, when we said it, when we gave that law, we said that all these laws are those goofy laws that don't, okay, fine, then we need to review.
Is jaywalking a bad law? Well, no, you can. Have you guys ever been driving and someone walks out and you have to slam on your brakes and you could hurt yourself, the person behind you, you could swerve. The law is there for a reason. Now, it's up to the discretion of the police officer to say, okay. And it's like the cop the other day letting me off. He could have given me two more tickets and he didn't, which was rad. And I was like, thank you very much. I really did not see the no ride on red sign. I really, really apologize. What am I going to do? Now, could he have cut me off a break and let me go because I wasn't from here? Sure. But he didn't. But you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pay the ticket because that's what I do. I'm not a barbarian. I'm just saying, in this case, overreaction, I think, in my opinion. A little bit. M1 Darkcoat from San Diego. Yeah, I don't know if I saw a different video than you guys did. It seemed to be a better angle, I think. But two things about it I saw was, one, if you watch the video, he's by himself. He doesn't have any backup. Right.
And it's not just two women and one guy. There's at least a couple dozen other people around him, and they slowly start kind of moving in towards him. Like onlookers? Is it some sort of event? It looked like it was right outside of a high school almost. And so as he was trying to arrest the one female, a bunch of other people started showing up and started getting closer and closer. And they were actually around his patrol car while he was there. I saw them kind of loitering around his patrol car. It seemed to me that he was about... 10 to 12 feet away from his patrol car on a sidewalk with these two women. I didn't see really anybody else within six, eight feet. Yeah, I saw a very close. No, yeah. I seem to have a wider view. I guess it was on YouTube and there was also audio attached to it. And the entire time he was trying to arrest her, she kept screaming at him and he seemed very calm. He wasn't like yelling at her. Until he punched her, he was calm. Well, this is when he was trying to arrest. Woods, Woods, back up. I mean, you're like. You discount the part of the yelling. Like, that's nothing. Of course I discount. It's sticks and stones, bro. No, that's a cop. If she's yelling at you, I don't care. Whatever. You're not a cop.
Do we have any respect for authority? We absolutely do. It depends on what she's saying as well. She is absolutely out of line. We have all said that, but this man is a trained professional. It's almost like we say it like a throwaway. No, he's a trained professional. You don't think he's dealt with that before? Isn't that what you sign up for, kind of? Yeah. You sign up. You're going to run into it. It's like a celebrity with the pictures. I admitted I was wrong, okay? You're a cop. What do you think people are going to do when they see you coming? Look who's here. It's Mr. Police Officer. No, man. They're going to try to mess with you. I don't. When I see a cop. That's not necessarily true. Yeah. I mean, and when I see a cop, I don't go. When a cop pulls me over and they come up to the car, I don't go. Look. It's a cop. Hi. Thanks for getting me. No, what I do is I act respectfully. So do I. No, what he's saying is people have certain reactions towards celebrities. You're going to have certain reactions towards cops. It's what you do, and you know the reactions people are going to have because of the uniform you're wearing. Absolutely. Well, some people, though, they, I mean, if I see a police officer just out and about at a store, I feel like I want to almost say thank you. I do, too. Like I would to, like, any, you know, service man or woman. Hey, man. Maybe a fighter. How are you? Yeah, for sure. I love them.
Absolutely. My father-in-law was a cop. I get it. Pearl Jam, State of Love and Trust. Good music today, man. Thanks, brother. Well, it looks like the 94 eastbound before Euclid Avenue, we've got a box that's in the number one lane, and cars are swerving to avoid it. Also, the 15 southbound after Mercy Road, a ladder in the number four lane. And Rangeland Road at Highland Valley, we had seven cows that were walking in the middle of the road. Apparently, somebody was able to, you know, move them. I know, that's a bad joke. Anyway, 15 northbound. The morning's almost over. Hey, our friend Mal is going to be doing a show and it's tomorrow. Mal is extraordinarily funny comedian who I have said I think is going to be a star.
He's a really, really funny comedian. And he is going to be out tomorrow night. Where is my stuff about it? I can't find it. I don't know where I put it. Oh, here it is. Here it is. Quite a pile going on. I know, man. I have so many pieces of paper in front of me. And there's a deal for M1s, by the way. Mal is going to be at the Comedy Store in La Jolla with Ian Edwards and its two shows, Friday and Saturday. 8 and 1030. Tickets are 20 bucks at the door, but he always has a deal for people who come out and support him. So here is a deal for M1s. All you got to do is call and make a reservation. 858-454-9176. And if you make the reservation and you mention Mal, your ticket is half off. Pretty cool. Very cool.
So if you want half off on this ticket to go see a good friend of the show, Mal Hall. He's going to be at the Comedy Store tomorrow night and Saturday night. Two shows, 8 and 10.30 p.m. You can do that. It's going to be pretty cool. You want to hear something funny about Mal? Yeah. I was an intern and he was working at the old radio station I used to work at. And he was trying to get some on-air shifts at the country station over there. Yeah. You'll never guess the name he went by on air. What? Cash. Amazing. Wow. Wow. That is fantastic. African-American Asian man. Yeah. He looks just like Tiger Woods. Yeah, he does. I saw him at the Del Mar Fair. You did? Yep. He does. He looks just like Tiger Woods. His Halloween costume is Obama. He looks like Obama, too. That is so great. That is so great. So, okay, Sienna, tell me about the Cowardly Bullfighter. Well, apparently this happened right after the incident. But the stories I'm just now seeing are coming out that the matador, 22-year-old Christian Hernandez, if you haven't seen this video, has been going around everywhere, too. He's in the ring with a bull. He tries to do the little red cape one time. And the bull goes by. The bull charges at him again. The guy takes off, pops the fence. He's done. He's out. He's announced that he's retiring.
Well, apparently right after the botched bullfight on Sunday at Plaza Mexico in New Mexico, he was in trouble and arrested for breach of contract. Really? Yeah. He was released after he paid the fine and everything. But I think that's pretty crazy. I wonder if you cowardly. I wonder if you get cowardly and you jump out. That's like a crime. I know. Maybe you have to, like, at least let him charge once. A couple times, maybe? I guess people pay, you know, to be there. Like, you know, I guess you do sign a contract that you're going to perform. So, like, what if you're in the MMA and you're fighting and the dude punches you once? And you go, and you're like, ow, dude. Or he goes to hit you, you duck, and then you leave the ring. And you tap out? Yeah. Could Dana White sue you? Maybe. No, it would be so sensational if that ever happened. That's why I don't fight MMA anymore, bro. Is that why, Frank? Yeah, dude. I used to fight in the UFC and then Dana kicked me out because I had one fight where it hurt really bad. You cried when Woodsy pinched you. What was your record? True, he hurt my hair. What was your record? I don't remember. It was 0-1.
Who'd you lose to? You have to at least give it a shot. I lost to a girl named Lisa. And the bottom line was I was outmatched. She had a lot more experience than I did. And she got me with one good one, you know. Plus, you probably didn't want to punch a girl with a closed fist in the face, did you? That's right. You know, it wasn't Seattle. Seattle. You're not a cop. Or Philly or Detroit. Thank you, Frank. So that's the story of the Cowardly Matador. Does anybody do, anybody in our audience, do an awesome impression, dead-on impression? 570-1949. Give us a call right now at 570-1949 if you do a dead-on impression. Awesome impression of a celebrity. Call us right now. We got some sunglasses for you if you got a good one for us. Woodsy, me and you, what if we went to Spain and I said to you, let's go see a bullfight? In or out? Out. I did it. You went? Yeah, when I lived in Sevilla, I went and saw one. The guy got gored, too. He did? Yeah. Oh, my God. Like blood, a whole mess. No way. I was right there. Did you have a camera?
I never bring a camera anywhere I go. I'm bad about that. Lauren, we're in Spain. I say let's go see a bullfight. No way. No way. Jay, we're in Spain. Let's go see a bullfight. No way, Jose. See, it's part of the experience. Jose or Mikey. I was like, man, I'm living there. I can't be there for six months and not have seen it. Would you go? When in Spain? When in Spain. My mom always said growing up. Exactly. My mom does say that. I would go. You would? I would go. So mean. It's going to happen if you're there or if you're not. I know, but I don't have to be a party to it. Supply and demand. Hey, you know what? Dogfighting happens. No way. Dogfighting happens. I wouldn't go see a dogfight. Dogfighting is illegal, though. That's illegal. It's illegal, man. Bullfighting is illegal here, isn't it? I wouldn't go see a dogfight. Isn't a bullfight illegal here? It's illegal in the United States. Well, weed is legal in Amsterdam, but, you know, I'm not... Yeah, and if I were in Amsterdam, I wouldn't smoke weed. I wouldn't smoke weed just because you could. You know, I don't want to... I'm just not down with it. Right. A lot of people would, though. Yeah, a lot of people would. And if they do, hey, you know, I'm not, I just, that's, it's, they stick the sword in there. They kill them. I had a chance to go to a rooster fight. Did you? Which is something else, but I didn't go. Yeah. Because it's just like, really? And that's an illegal thing. Just pecking each other. Not in other countries sometimes. Right. You can do that. Like, Portugal, don't they do that? If I were in a country where the, you know, the big thing there is cockfighting and it's like a big.
You know, to do. And it's like, you know, you go to there. If it was. I mean, I kind of agree. I partake in the culture. They eat dogs in Korea. Are you going to eat a dog? I don't want to taste that. I don't want to taste it. I don't want to see that. I don't want to see it. I understand. Hey, listen. To each their own. But wait a minute. But if I went to Korea and they were serving dog and I ate it, I don't want somebody to be like, you monster. I would. I'd be like, you're a monster. Hey, I'd be like, don't have my taco. I'm eating my dog taco. I got a friend. I'm here. I'm here. I got a friend and a fan of the show, Johnny Rizzo, who was in Korea and he ate dog. And I was like, Johnny. I was like, are you kidding me? Hey, you know, when in Seoul. When in Seoul. You know, I mean, what are you going to do? Gosh. I mean, if you don't want to, don't. But, you know. See, for me, like, there's no way I wasn't going to see it. Like, I mean, it's sad, but it's just like, that's the culture over there. I get it, man. I get it. But I'm not going to be a party to it. It's not like I'm going to walk down there and kill the thing. Hey, and I'll eat a steak. I just don't want to be there in the slaughterhouse. Yeah. It's kind of hypocritical, but. When I was growing up.
It was considered a badge of honor. Was it? For a matador to step into the ring against such a beast. Sure. It is. Culturally, yeah. Yeah, culturally, it's kind of a big deal to my people. The matadors were like the PIMPs. Oh, yeah. That's for sure. They got so many ladies. All right. Let's see. M1 Archer. from Fallbrook, actually has a lot of voices to choose from. And so, Archer, I am going to have you surprise us. Go ahead. Good. Not bad. Pretty good. Okay. Now, what I want you to do, what I want you to do, Archer, is I don't want you to tell us who you are. I just want you to talk as that person. Give us another one. My next one, Mikey, I would like to show you. I'm the governor of California. I'm Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'm supposed to show you more of my voices. Very nice. Very nice. Not bad. Great. Again, though, don't tell us who you're getting. Yeah, don't tell us. I refuse. I would never tell you. Yeah. I am the governator. You don't know who I am. Yeah, I'm the governator, but I won't tell you who I am. My initials are Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then I hang out with Wolfgang. There you go. Do you have any other ones, Archer? Yes.
Jack Nichols? Oh. Not bad. Not bad. You know what's so funny? He left Jay out. Jay? Oh, he left Jay out? You left out J. I'm going to hang up on you. Oh, yeah. I forgot J. How could I forget? He rolls his eyes. Oh, yeah. J. Guess I forgot you. Pretty good job. Let's see. M1. I have to count the lines. Why? Because there's no numbers on there. Why don't we have numbers? One, two, three, four. M1, Brad from La Jolla. Absolutely fantastic. Fantastic. That's great, dude. Great. That is great. Thank you, Brad. That's a good one. I'm going to give you a pair of sunglasses. Hang on a second. Let's see. M1, Hans, don't tell us. Just do it.
Helen Keller. Yeah, I think it was Helen Keller. M1 Frank, don't tell us. Oh my gosh. Don't tell us. Are you ready? Yeah, we're ready. It's awful. Austin Powers? It's fat biot. Mini-me? No, that's Cartman. I've never seen Austin Powers. Oh, I like that one better. Better. Oh, John Wayne. Oh, John Wayne. He keeps going. What else? I can do many voices. Keep doing it. There's someone on the wing. Something. You know what that is? Bill Shatner. No, that's Jim Carrey from Ace Ventura. Oh. Yeah, I thought of that. You can't just do it in your own voice and say this. Yeah. Hey.
Hey, I'm Jack Nicholson. Check it out. Hey, everybody. This is Jack Nicholson. Well, thank you very much. Thank you. I do it dead on Bob Barker. I'm doing it right now. I'm doing it as we speak. Yeah, come on down. Come on down. You're the next contestant. Don't forget to spay or neuter your pets. Am I right? Am I right? Hi, I'm Luke Esparza, Mikey's son. Oh, wait. That sounds just like him. That sounds exactly like him. M1 Chris from Oceanside. Just give me the voice. I found the cure for cons in the 20th century and I've lost it. Sean Connery? Is that Sean Connery? Michael Shannon, you are not present at the staff meeting. That's great. Michael Shannon. Sounds like Richard Nixon. Michael Shannon, you are not present at the staff meeting. How are you ever going to learn how to cross swords if you're not at the staff meeting? Oh my gosh! You get a pair of sunglasses. Hang on a minute. No innuendos there. No, none. That was good. That was pretty good. A lot of Arnold. Everybody's calling up doing Arnold. Let's see. I'm going to do one more. M1 Kyle is calling from... Go ahead and just put him on hold. Here we go. Kyle from... Calling from the 15. He's on the 15 right now. You there? Yep. Okay, just give me your voice. Oh, Gollum. That's right. Yeah. Yes. I have no idea. Oh, my God. That's great, dude.
Sorry, I like girls. Call me Precious. Yeah, call her Precious. Call me Precious. Yeah, call Lauren. Call me Precious. Come on, call me Precious. Dip me and call me Precious. Yes, yes. Come on, do some more. I want to hear some more. No, that one. I want to hear more. Yeah, keep doing more Gollum. Yeah, more Gollum. More Gollum? Yeah. More Gollum. That's great. I don't know. It really is. Is he like the little creepy guy? Oh, yeah. That was great. I love it. You get a pair of sunglasses. That was good. That was good. Somebody can do an impression of me. Oh, my gosh. Really? Somebody says they can do an impression of me. Yes, I want to hear it. I got one. Put him through. Put him through. You know, doesn't get punched in the face. Wait, wait. I got one right before. Here we go. Hey, Maki. Maki, I'm never late. Really? God. So stupid. Hey, Maki. I'm never late, Maki. Hey, Maki. Yeah, I talk like this. Maki. Maki, you put it on the tee. I'm going to knock it out of the house. Get. Get. M1 laughs a lot from San Diego. Yes.
M1 laughs a lot from San Diego. Let me hear your voice. Mikey, can I ask you a question? That's me he's doing. That's you. That's what he says. He says he's doing me. What? I know. Why are you still sat after your tummy tuck? Is that me? Does that sound like me? No. That doesn't sound like me. Is that one of my characters? Yeah, this is me, Tyrone. Oh, he's doing Tyrone. Tyrone and Tortilla. It does sound like Tyrone. Yeah, it does. It does. And I used to do that bit. How come you're still fat? Blah, blah, blah. That's good, but can you actually do my voice? I guess that would be a no. That's hilarious. I guess that's a no. 570-1949. If you can do one of these, and the best one we'll get, we'll give you something cool if you do something good. Woodsy. I'd really appreciate it if we didn't do it anymore. Stop. If that's how you feel, I would stop. It doesn't make you. It makes me so uncomfortable. It does not. Smiling. Savvy movie. On FM 94.9. What if you legitimately broke up? Oh, my God. He is crazy. He is a crazy man. Take your sock off. Let's see. You are a baby. Did little baby get a little? I see nothing wrong with it. That poor guy. And I think he may have hurt his toe. He is... He's moving it. Can I ask you guys something? Have you ever met a guy more unpredictable? No. He's pretty unpredictable. That's one way of putting it. Really? Holy crap. I was thinking of a clown. Loose cannon. Stop crying over there. Yeah. Maybe I'd come in there and punch him in the face. His shoes are made of nylon. What'd you get him, NASA?
He borrowed it from Spider-Man. A guy named Hugo Boss. Yeah. Maybe you've heard of him. Milan. Milan. They're not from Milan. Yeah, they are. Hugo Boss. Milan. Italian. That's right. Yeah, Milan. Okay? And that's all you need to know. That's all you need to know. I'm so datey. 570-1949. By the way, if you would like to have your website done up real good, Same guy that did MikeyShow.com. It's the same person that did. His name is Jared. He's a friend of ours. Go to his website, CreateYourDesignOnline.com. He is the official graphic designer for the Mikey Show. Let's tell the Lauren story. Hold on. I'm going to get my spit out because it's time for a rose. What is it? Somebody's going on the spit. Somebody's getting on the spit. That's what we're going to have a new bit. On the spit. You don't know this, Sienna, so you're going to enjoy it. Wait, what? I'm going to cry. I couldn't contain myself, so I told Woods about this story. My heart is pounding, and I'm going to cry. Again? Is this a recap? Again? L-O-B, you're going to cry again? Yeah, you're going to cry again? Cry again? Stop. L-O-B, as you know, is a single girl now. Yes, she is. Oh, I'm a single lady. Oh, I'm a single lady. She's been embracing it. So she went to...
She went to a mall yesterday. Let's say that. She went to a mall. Okay. And while she was there, she was getting some new clothes and stuff like that. And she doesn't like the mall because she always feels kind of overwhelmed by the mall. I don't know which way to go. Too many stores. But she was walking around and one of the guys that was working the cell phone kiosk. Kiosk. Okay. Did the deal that they do. Called her over. The whistle? Mm-hmm. No. Well, they don't do that. Can I show you something? How you doing, baby? What kind of cell phone do you have? You want to see my cell phone? Hey, girl. Oh, gosh. One of those kinds of guys in the kiosks. With a real deep voice. She says in her recap, normally I can't stand these guys that Kat called to you to come over to check the stuff out, but this particular guy was smooth. Was his name. And he was a black guy. Oh, yeah. I was going to say, was his name Jerome? This guy. Look at her. She's got a hood over her face. She's wearing a hoodie, and she has her hood pulled over her face. Oh, my gosh. She's beet red. Okay, okay. No, no, no. Let me tell you, Sienna, whatever you could possibly imagine is not what happens.
Okay, I have to backtrack for a second. Lauren's at the mall. She's walking by the mall. Guy at the kiosk calls her over. It's a black guy. Lauren's in. She walks over to the kiosk. Okay, now what? She goes over to the guy at the kiosk and he's giving her his spiel. It's hot in here. And they had a little flirtation going back and forth for about 10 minutes. Nice. As they discussed it. Good run. Yeah, it's cool. So she doesn't know what comes over her. She is the color of crimson right now. She's a blonde girl, and she is crimson right now. She looks Irish right now. Just red face. She says, I don't know what came over me, but I decided to go for it and ask this guy if he wanted my phone number to go out sometime. Nice! Ballsy! It's beyond. It's beyond. It's beyond. It's beyond. It's beyond Balmy. Guys, I'm flattered by that. Well, yeah, but I'm like, I promised myself. I'm like, you know what? I just got out of a long relationship. I'm not going to date yet. I'm just going to take it slow. And this guy was like. Dr. Smooth. Smooth as silk. Smooth on Beretta. And I was like, oh my gosh, he's totally into me. He's totally into me. He's totally into me. So do you want to know what he said? Of course. No. He said.
Oh, I'm flattered, but I have a girlfriend. Oh, no. Dagger, dagger, dagger. You shut down. That was like your first reach. First and last, probably. I mean, what an amazing move. What a ballsy move. Dude, you must have had to feel like strong chemistry. I did. Turns out he's just trying to sell me his stupid phone. He's good. He's good at what he does, that guy. She started playing it off like it was no big deal. Yeah, I think I was even like, I was like, just like stammering at this point. I was like, I'm on the Mikey show. It's a bit. It's a bit. It's a bit. It's a bit. Yeah, because I actually, I'm in a relationship also. I was kidding. What happened? Holy crap. What happened next, Lauren? So I went to my car. You're like, I got to get out of here now. I was like, yeah, went to my car. I started bawling. Lauren! I know, I know. That's a hard thing to do. I'm going to cry just talking about it. I was like in the car and I was like, single. Okay, we've all had those moments where it's so frustrating. 30. Black.
Just one black guy. Oh my gosh, it's the greatest. It's the greatest. It's the greatest. Let me tell you something. I'm reading her recap and my eyes go... Fire. I almost didn't tell anyone because I was like, that was one of the most humiliating. Greatest. Greatest. Degrading. Amazing. So phenomenal that you shared this with us. Wonderful. Wonderful. Like, dude. How much would you guys have given to have been a fly on the wall? I'm just so surprised. Woods would have cried with me. Yeah, I would have cried with you. I'm so, I'm really proud of you for doing that. No, that's a really hard thing to do. You know what? And I wasn't even like, I probably would have like, he got my number and then I would have been like, who knows if I would have even gone on the date, but I was like. I think you would have gone. Yeah, I would have gone. I'm like, you know what? I'm going to see if I still got it because I'm feeling like I got it. And he for sure was younger than me, Tira. So I was like, oh, yeah, I got this. He was a strapping young man. You go for the young bucks. She does. Not normally. Listen, listen. Every time. For those of you that don't know, go to MikeyShow.com. You can see Lauren. She's an attractive blonde woman.
Pretty blue eyes. I just want to throw out there. I'm not trying to be like, I didn't get a date with him, so come on. I want to date with you. I'm just saying that if there are any black guys listening that are black and listening and have ears that can hear and you're black. If your heart is beating. Beautiful chest. Beautiful black chest. That's right. That beautiful ebony chest. Oh, boy. Holy cow. Oh, wow. All I know, like, imagine the walk back to the car. She's covering her face with hair. Imagine the walk back to the car. And just the walk away from the key. Dude, I guarantee that guy is thinking about it even this morning. Oh, no way. He was like, stupid little girl. Thought I wanted to hit on her. I was trying to sell her an iPhone. Imagine the one. I mean, he says I have a girlfriend.
She goes, I started mixing it up, trying to make jokes, like mispronouncing things. And I was like, anyway, I have so much work to do. I got to go. Then you big timed him on your way out the door. Yeah, I did. I did. Are you ever going to go to that mall again? Nope. Never. Never. Never asking anyone out ever again. What would happen if you ran into that guy? Oh, I'd die. On the spot. STP cinnamon. It's one of the greatest stories ever. No. She cried. I know. Poor Lauren. Apple has suspended pre-ordering of the new iPhone. I'll tell you why. So Tuesday was the first day that you could pre-order these iPhones, these new awesome ones, the iPhone 4. Guess how many orders were received on Tuesday? Twelve. A million.
Over $600,000. Oh, my gosh. In one day, which is a record. A record. So AT&T, who is obviously the exclusive carrier of the iPhone, they stopped pre-ordering because of the heavy demand. Yeah. They're just like, this is insane. How are we supposed to do this? But the iPhone 4, available June 24th. Now, what I read is that the one way that you might be able to do it is if you'd wait in the line. You'd have to get in that line. Good luck. I did it. Just wait a month. When the first one came out, you did? Yeah. Wait two weeks. Patience, big P word. You ever hear that? Can I just tell you? It's a virtue. I've heard of that. It's a virtue, pal. Can I just tell you? Patience of Job. We're all just, we're all really, really with a Bible reference. Yes. Power me right down. Yes. Just pull that battery right out of my bag. This one has video chat. The camera's insane. I know, but it's, hey buddy, buddy. Little buddy. Yeah. It's not going anywhere. No. Mikey. In fact, it's getting better and better. It's not going to go anywhere. We're all just kids. I know we are. We're all just kids. That's why. But you can wait. Well, I have to. What are you going to do with that phone you have now? I'm giving it to my friend. I guarantee you he's looking at it. He's probably looking at it these days going,
I can't wait to get rid of you. It's fossil. No. This old piece of crap. Old hat. I don't. Are you being a phone? No, I love my phone. This phone's for artisans only. Stupid corn husking phone. Bread making phone. Do you have 3G? I have 3G. 3G. Weird. The new one, you could take high def video. Basket weaver. I might wait in line. Mikey! What's the matter with waiting in line? Is there anything worse than waiting in line? No, I don't like waiting in line. I don't like it. What's wrong with it? Because if you just wait two weeks and you have a bowl, we'll go at lunch, we'll all get one. Just pop over. But then you've got to wait two weeks. Wow. Well, why do that if you don't have to? Where's the fire? I can sell them on waiting. Where's the fire? I can sell you. Here's the deal. Yeah. If you wait one day after work, me, you, L.O.B., Sienna, and J. We'll all go to lunch together real sweetly. And then we'll all go get one. If we want one. I may get one. We'll all go together. But you're not going to get one because you're not going to switch carriers. I will. If it's that good, I'll do it. It's that good. You will? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Really? What? Hell yeah. I want one too. You'll be real happy. Who's the grown man now? No, but I'm going to wait. You'll love it because it'll really, it goes great with all your Mac stuff that you have. Yeah. It does. Yeah. You put all your pictures. Can I make it a little better for you? We'll all go sweetly together.
Well, I think there's more in that for you than there is for me, but sure. Because you want to get it too, and you're like, hey, Mike, wait. I'll do it with you. I don't want to wait in line. Can I give you money and you get me one? You could do that. No, isn't it like a limit per customer? Yeah, I paid one of our interns 40 bucks one time to wait in line until I could get there. I said, dude, if you get down there right now, you got to get down to this place right now because I called and they said, we have them, but you got to be in line. So I called this guy, go. Hey, I'll give you 40 bucks to go down there and get in line right now. I'd better make it 400. Yeah. He just had to wait until I got there. And then when I got there, I took the place in line. How long? It took me 30 minutes to get there. Oh, that's not bad. Yeah. Did anyone give you guys a hard time for doing the swap-a-roo? What's that? Because he was there. They can't. They can't give you a hard time.
Oh, no. I would laugh in their face. One time, this is exactly what I said. I don't even think they noticed. I was in line. My sister, we were trying to get into a bar. My friend was in line, two of them. They're in line at the bar. And we were like, hey, guys, we were going to go into it. And you're like, you know what? We're going to leave. So why don't you just get in our place in line? Let me add, my sister was on crutches with her knee in a brace because she just had surgery. Shouldn't have been going to a bar anyway. The girl behind us. I almost got in a fist fight with this girl. Because she's like, she's like, taps me on the shoulder. No cutsies. And I was like, we're not cutting. It's a swap. It's a swap. It's a swap through. I go, one in, one out. And she's like, no, it doesn't work that way. We waited. You can wait. And I was like, come on. She's on crutches. She's like, oh, I don't care. She goes, oh, really, sweetheart? To my sister. Because my sister's like, I'm on crutches. You know my little shadow? Was it two leaving, two entering? Yes. What's the problem? What's the big deal? I don't know. What difference does it make to you? You should have given her a slap. Exactly. Oh, I don't want to know. Why didn't you give her a slap? That is ridiculous to me. Now, what would make me upset is if...
If two people are standing there and two more get mad, you join them. Now I got to wait. I wouldn't do that. That's not fair. I would ask everyone in line if they were okay with it. Yeah. And if every single person in line, because you can't just ask the person behind you because everybody suffers. And if they were like, no, no, you wait, go to that. But yeah, so then we fought the entire time and then we got into the place. And so then I tried to, I bought her and her friends a beer to try to like. Bury the hatchet. Bury the hatchet. And then I go, no hard feelings. And she goes, yeah, maybe not for you. I'm like, oh, wow. That's when you give her a slap, L.A.B. You should have given her a smack in the mouth. No, you do not. Yes, you do, Michael. You huck-a-loogie. It's etiquette. Can I say the B word on the air? No, you don't. All right, I won't say it. Say which. But I said, because she had her friend with her as a guy. Yeah. God, this is classic. She had a guy with her, and he was like, yeah, yeah, like adding stuff to what she said. And I go, oh, really? You're a bigger B than she is. Oh, man. It was so good. Wow. Should have slapped her in the mouth. No, she shouldn't have. She should have. Girls are so feisty. What, you don't hit people, man. Don't you? That's not cool. Isn't it? Bah!
That's, dude, that's mean. You know what my only go-to move has been when there's been like bar fights and a guy will like, I got called a C word before and I got pushed before. Both times I throw a full beer in their face. Oh my gosh. I've always wanted to do that. She's a cyclone. She's a cyclone. She's a cyclone. Hey, don't call me a C word. And then don't tell my brother who's trying to stick up for me. Well, maybe you don't have a C word for a sister. Oh my gosh. This is getting really heavy. Oh my gosh. Irish cyclone, pal. You think I'm bad? I told you. That's what you need to worry about. Not here. She comes in and she is the most quiet. But then she has stories about where. She's not quiet at all. She kind of is. In the morning she's quiet. Yeah, but she's not like. She was quiet like the first week. And I thought she was going to be quiet. Still, I wouldn't suspect. No. She leads a mafioso second life. I want to see her. I've seen her out, but not. Out, out. I saw her at the Del Mar Fair. Well, I don't really do that anymore. She's not asking dudes out. Yeah. I don't do that anymore. But if anyone is going to, I mean, I'm going to stick up for myself no matter what. I had a girl I love her. Well, yeah, you should. You should have given a smile. A guy pushed me by my shoulders in the bar. I'm not going to hit him. If I was your brother and somebody was, you know, doing something, I would definitely defend you. Oh, my brother got him with a second bear in the face.
That's kind of a girl move, isn't it? Yeah. He didn't want to hit him. You're not going to do something to somebody's brother. Well, we got kicked out of the bar, needless to say. But they picked up our whole tab, which was like an $85 tab that I tried to big time everybody. And I was like, I got it. Did I ever tell you guys my, if we're just doing story hour, did I ever tell you guys my chorizo story? Please do. Wow, I feel really weird. right now about whether or not I'm supposed to let you do your quote, chorizo story. Do it. Me and all the boys go out for a night on the town. Somebody grab my chorizo. And I was trying to big time. I was trying to big time everybody. And I was like, hey, after we leave the club, we're all going to breakfast. And it was like four in the morning. And we get to the restaurant. I go, hey, get whatever you want. And for some reason, I had a hankering for some chorizo. And I was like, give me some chorizo on this omelet, whatever. We ordered $150 worth of stuff at IHOP. That's hard to do. And the bill comes. I have $1. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. In the back of my mind, I was like, I know I got $100 in my pocket somewhere. I had $1. Somewhere? $1. $1. I know I got $100 somewhere. It's somewhere. It's in a savings bond.
Screen for that to mature in seven years. Yes, well, I'll look forward to that. The bill comes, I go, I got it. One crisp dollar bill. My buddies look to me, they're like, par for the course. So who paid? Everybody chipped in. They had to pay for him. But then they had to pay for me. At a dollar. I love it. That is so woods. Of course it is. We were yesterday, Lauren and I were going over the various sound clips of each of us that we use for the rejoiner clips. When we come out of commercials, you're, hey, it's the Mikey Show with Mikey. Hi, I'm fat and Mexican. Write that down. You know, that kind of thing. And we were going through the ones at Woods. Really? Everyone, I was like, that is so Woods. Were they good? Can I hear them? You'll hear them when they come on the air. Don't give me that bit. Like everybody else. Lauren, don't give me that bit. Just like everybody else. Yeah, you're just like everyone else. You can't just cut in line here. Yeah, exactly. You don't just, you can't, no cutsies. Yeah, but I actually work on the show. I don't care. It doesn't matter? I don't care.
Bottom line is, if we gots to wait, you gots to wait. That's Frankie's sister. Yeah, Frankie's sister. I'm Frankie's sister. What of it? I'll fight you. Francesca. I don't even care. Frankie and Francesca. I don't care. Shut up and leave them alone. Don't tell me what to do, Frankie. I do whatever. You don't tell me what to do. I'll tell everybody you still listen to Anna Montana. So do you, Frank. I listen to her. I don't care. I don't listen to Hannah or Montana. Hannah. Hannah. He's a liar. I don't listen to Hannah or Montana. Listen to Miley Cyrus. I do listen to Miley Cyrus because she's an artist. It's amazing. You know, Miley Cyrus just making these statements about her music and just gets herself into trouble with it. Weird. Saying that she's not trying to be slutty. It's a quote. Mikey. Mikey. What? It's a bad word.
Shut up. She's just a little kid. He makes me seem so bad when he does that. It's a quote he said. Woods makes me such a dork. You think Woods does that? I had to. Mikey, it's okay. I had to. It's okay. She was getting me so bad yesterday morning. We weren't even on the air. She was? Remember when we were in Jay's studio and she was just sticking me? She goes like this. She goes, the TV is there, right? Oh, yeah. And she goes, look, Mikey, my head reaches the TV. Now you try. You try. Unbelievable. You try. That's mean. It was mean. It was mean. It was mean. We weren't even on the air. And I go, really? I know. I felt like real bad after this. Did you? Did you? I did. Did you? Not bad enough to not make another short joke today. Hey, where's Hillary? I don't know. Hillary. Hillary. Well, we have a day off tomorrow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you're going to hear the best of the Mikey show tomorrow. And so we'll be back on Monday. By the way, I want to say happy birthday to our boy Jay. Happy birthday, Jay. Happy Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to everyone. I would do falsetto for you, but I'm kind of saving the pipes for the wedding. How about on Monday?
Falsetto birthday is returning next week, by the way. There you go. Happy Father's Day to Mike and Jay. Happy Father's Day, Mike. What about me? And Woods. He's got 87 dogs. He's got Happy Doggy's Day. You know he's going to get cards from the dogs. That's right. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next, we assume. I mean, I don't know. She may have a day off, too. Maybe somebody lets us know. No. She's not here. Well, I'm sure she is. Because if she wasn't, somebody would have let us know. So I'm assuming she's coming up next. All right. Mikey, she'll be back on Monday morning. Tomorrow's the best of it. Make sure you listen to it if you love us. Because I'm late. Financial media station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
