Sounds like somebody's got a case of the Mondays. Overcast weird. Let's do this. 570-1949. Give us a call. Wish Jason a happy birthday. Jerry. The guy is 48 years old today. I thought it was tomorrow. I saw Jay outside as I was walking in. He's our producer. Nikki made him a cake. She makes these really, really beautiful cakes. Yeah, she does. And she does the desserts at Lucadia Pizzeria. And pretty awesome. She made him this really cool cake that is like a man wearing an old man that wears science lab coat. It's awesome. It's so cool. And so anyway.
Thank you, Nikki, for making that for our boy Jay. He is now 48 years old. By the way, if you want to have Nikki do that for you, her website is elegantdessertdesigns.com. Voted Best Cakes 2010 by The Knot. And winner of Best Brownies in 2010, Death by Chocolate competition. I got a voter. Oh, well. My mom's also 48, Jay. Yep. Jay is your mom's age, Sienna? Yeah. Jay could be my dad. Happy birthday to Jay. Yes, I could. He is 48 today. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm 41. Woodsy is our sports guy, and he is 35. Lauren O'Brien, L-O-B, is our assistant producer, and she is 30 years old. Sienna is 26. She's our news girl. Jay, happy birthday. He is 48. And our phone screener is Chris. That's gross. Word of the day is necklace. When I say necklace, between now and 10, caller number nine gets those Foo Fighter tickets at Viejas Arena. Pretty cool. Foo Fighters. And also a pair of Ultimate Ears by Logitech. Very, very cool. I've always wanted to have in-ear monitors for...
the radio instead of headphones. I don't like wearing headphones. I've never liked wearing headphones. And I wish I had in-ear monitors, the same type that people use to sing and stuff like that. It'd be easier. They so far have not created those four on-air. Hopefully one day. Miss USA happened over the weekend. So I want to talk about that. But first, M1 All Caps from IB. Hi. Mikey. How are you? Hey, pretty good. Pretty good. How are you? Good. All right. I just wanted to call in and say happy birthday to Jake. Oh, thanks, man. All right. No problem. I listen to the show every day, and you guys crack me up, especially Jay. I mean, with all that old man who does science. All that pervert stuff, the whole thing. It's all a lot of fun, right? Creepy, disgusting. That's right. Wiener talk. Wiener talk. Thanks. Thank you for the call. Woods went to the Bro-Am and so did L.O.B. Switchfoot does the big thing called the Bro-Am over the weekend. Was it fun? It was, yeah. You guys did have fun? It was hot. It was hot out there. Hot, hot. Yeah. Finally. Raised some money, which is really good. Miss USA 2011, as it turns out. Guess who it is? Take a listen. Miss USA 2011 is... Little high pitch.
So I had a friend that used to be in the pageant system. And so I'm going to try to put this as politically correctly as I can. There's Miss America and there's Miss USA. Miss America, in general, is the more studious. Miss USA, in general, is the hottest. They don't necessarily have to be learned. Does that make sense? Yes. Crystal clear. Yes. Do you understand my point? Absolutely. Yes. Okay. Well, here is Miss Alabama being asked who she'd like to have lunch with. Lunch with one person, it would be Helen Keller. Because when all of those around her said no, she said that no. Again, my friend Woods just stood up.
and walked away from the microphone, and Lauren O'Brien has turned her chair away from the microphone and has her hand buried in her hands. You think she meant to say Helen Hunt? No, do you know why? Because I don't like people running mouth and talking. And that's what I love about Helen Keller. She would not yell at me like Daddy. Well, she's a mute. Right. She can't even talk. I'm constantly getting judged on the way I look and stuff. That's right. She couldn't see me. She would never judge me on my look. The only thing is she'd have to come up and kind of put her hands all over my face to feel what I look like. That'd be the weird part. She'd probably always order water. Right. But there's always a downside, so. Anywho. It was not an option. I was involved in a near-fatal car crash. The doctors told me that I may not ever be able to walk again. No, it was not an option. It's kind of cool that she recorded this at a rave. And now I'm walking. Now I feel like a monster. Yeah, nice. Miss California's asked a question. Judge number six, my friend from New Jersey, Caroline Manzo, your question, please. Hello, Miss California.
Many have argued that marijuana should be legalized and taxed to boost the economy and alleviate drug wars. Do you believe in legalized marijuana? Why or why not? Well, I understand why that question would be asked, especially with today's economy. But I also understand that medical marijuana is very important to help with those who need it medically. I'm not sure if it should be legalized, if it would really affect, you know, with the drug wars. It's abused today, unfortunately, so that's the only reason why I would kind of be a little bit against it. But medically, it's okay. So that's my answer. Thank you. Thank you, California. That's a good answer. Yeah. I thought it was very poised, and I thought she sounded pretty good answering that question. What about Miss Texas being asked about Anthony Weiner? Mariel Hemingway, judge number one. Mariel, what's your question? Hello. Hi. Recently, the personal indiscretions of men in positions of power have exposed their family's private lives. What advice would you have for a woman whose spouse put her in a position of public humility? Yeah, as the girls are up there, are they dancing and doing the sprinkler and doing like the smurf? Because, I mean, the music is so loud and high energy. It's very heartbreaking to hear stories like that. And I think that I would just say, you know, for the men.
Be more respectful for the women. Press on. If a man does do that to you, I think that you should move forward and stay positive because you should find somebody that really, truly loves you. Let me explain, ladies, what that would look like. Oh, I just got a text. Let me get my purse out. Oh, it's a man's wiener. I'm going to stay positive because I just heard Miss... you know, a contestant from Miss USA, tell me what I should do if I get a wiener text. What I should do is move on and stay positive. And so I'll turn my phone off, put it away, put it back in my purse, remain positive, and move on. What a great answer. For deep. Really deep. Let's see. That's all I want to hear. That'll do it. That'll do it. Her name was Alyssa Campanella. But she's pretty. Yeah, she's actually from Jersey originally, but now lives in California. That's not fair. I know. No, is it? Shouldn't they be born here? Nah, if they live here, I guess. She moves here and she's like six. She can't ever be in a pageant. Fair enough. She was Miss Teen USA in Jersey in 2007. Come on, L.O.B. She's moving around the country to win all these pageants. I wonder how long you've got to live there in order to be there. Fifteen minutes. Fifteen minutes?
You have a good Father's Day yesterday, Jay? Oh, killer. What'd you get? That's all I want to know. I mean, that's what I want to know. I could do the whole, oh, is it sweet? I just want to know what you got. Cool camping chair, this shirt. We all went out to breakfast. I got all kinds. It was kind of a combined birthday. Ah, the old twofer. Twofer one. But they spent some bucks. Did they? Yeah, the chair I got. I can't wait until... I'm older and my kids, you know, actually have jobs. And I don't mean jobs like high school jobs. I mean jobs where they can actually spend some dough on dad. Oh, yeah. And I can be like, yeah, guess what? Great. Father's Day. What are you sending? You know what I mean? They each dropped about 60 bucks on me. Wow. I was like, wow. That's pretty good. That's not bad. How do you know how much? Because, I mean, I know what things cost. They're my employees. That's right. I tried to write it off, but I wouldn't let them. I said, you might have to $10.99. Liberty got me a cool book on, God, what's the big Mount Everest? I was, like, stuck. And then dinner out, she used to take me to dinner. Wow. That's cool. Yeah. Well, Jimmy Fallon did this really funny thing that LOB found for us, and it's a thing about Twitter.
And how he put this question out there on Twitter about your dads. And what kind of dads you have. I actually said something about my dad. He actually runs the treadmill. He wears jeans. Which is great, by the way. Which is great. Which is great. Wearing jeans. This is great. I actually said something about my dad. He actually runs the treadmill. He wears jeans. I can't even get into it. But I asked you guys at home to tweet out something funny or weird about your dad. Something that makes you shake your head and go, that's my dad. So we got thousands of tweets. In fact, within a half hour, it was a worldwide trending topic. Crazy. Wow. Tells you how weird dads are. I'm going to share some of my favorite, that's my dad, tweets from you guys. Here we go. This first one is from M.D. Storley. He says, sometimes my dad puts the entire body of an email in the subject line. That's what the email wanted to say. Don't worry to waste your kilobytes. That is so great. So read your dad's email, which my dad's done that, by the way. You have to arrow over. And down. Yes. You're like, are you kidding me with that? Dad, that's not where the email goes. This one's from at John Reap. He says,
He almost drowned while fixing a hole in the pool by wearing a backpack full of rocks and trying to breathe through a garden hose. That's a dad move. Give me that beer. Let me finish that. Homemade scuba. Give me that beer. Give me that backpack. Yeah, the backpack of rocks. Hold him down now. Hold me down. I'll breathe with this garden hose and I'll fix the hole. And I guess when I'm done, I'll just drop the backpack. It's outstanding. come back up to the surface. How are you going to get on the bottom of the pool? Give me the backpack full of rocks, honey. Let's do this. How are you going to breathe? Give me the garden. Oh, no. I'm going down to the seventh feet. Here we go. Oh, my God. If your father dies. What is wrong with people? What is wrong with dad? I couldn't fill up that backpack full of rocks. This one's from at SJ Pools. She says, my dad thinks Netflix is a scam. I'll go for that. I'll go for that. I'm not doing that. It's a scam. Like, that's not real. Netflix. It's a scam. I ain't falling for that. In two years, you'll come to me. Don't rent it. Don't rent it. This one's from at 81 hearts. She says, every time he sees a hot girl on TV, he will scream. Hello. One time a friend asked if we had a parrot. Hello. This one's from at a bit neurotic. She says,
While driving and suffering from a case of road rage, my dad called someone a jack leg. I mean, what is that? Isn't your dad that mad? He's just like, get out of the way, you jack leg. I would go, a jack leg cut me off. Crazy jack leg. Where's my backpack full of rocks? He said, I'm a beast. This darn backpack full of rocks. So uncomfortable. A jack leg. Jack leg. such a dad move it's and and you're in the back like when you're a kid you're in the back you want to laugh but you can't because your dad's mad if you laugh you're dead i told you my dad's fake bits because he doesn't curse right so he does the doggone it and he says for corn's sake which just slays me every time it slays for corn's sake
For corn sake. Oh, I love that. Wow. Got it. Wow. Well, I love that, man. That is such dad stuff. And it made me wonder, like, what's going to be my thing that I don't, you know, I think it's normal. You know, my dad, how many times with my dad getting an email from American Online and it's like a scam thing. I'm like, dad. I told you. He goes, it says right there, it's from American Online. It's not, though. It's not. It isn't. Unless you see Mike or Rebecca Esparza. Don't open it. Delete it. It said I won a million dollars. It said it. It said the Saudi prince is going to send me $42 million. Oh, my gosh. Today, Casey Anthony's trial is going into the fifth week. Something happened. We got some information over the weekend. Yeah, on Saturday. Pretty crazy. A forensic pathologist testified and testified that the duct tape found on little Kaylee's skull was placed there after her body had decomposed. Oh, my God. So. What does that mean? Who did he testify for? The prosecution or the defense? Does it say? I believe the defense. So what does that mean? That means my client not only didn't kill her.
But the duct tape was placed there after. I don't get it. Somebody call and explain that. Tampering, maybe? I don't know. Police tampering? Cover up. Cover up? Framing. Hey, this is the thing that is going to be the hardest thing for the defense to overcome. What is the motive for the father to not report when the kid drowned? What's the motive there? You know, because their whole defense is this. Not only did Kaylee not kill her daughter. But she drowned in the parents' pool. The father found her and said, you've put your mom through so much of being a bad mother anyway that you will go to jail for this, for neglect. I guess that's his motive. I guess that's what they're going to say his motive is. His motive was in an attempt to save his daughter. Yeah. He tried to cover up this accidental drowning. Then he lets her go through all this now. Yeah. Right.
It doesn't make sense. Let's her face the death penalty? Yeah. He was so crazed to cover up for her and save her, but now he's going to let her face the death penalty. Well, apparently, what they would say is, well, no, because what his plan was is that nobody would ever find Kaylee. Nobody would ever find Kaylee, and so she would just be a missing kid, and her mom would never go to jail. Right. But he's a police officer. He would have done a better job of hiding the body. Yeah. Walking distance from the house. Right. Half a mile. They got to convince that jury of a lot. They got to convince that jury of a lot. I found out her hair, you know, she's got really, really long hair. And the reason for that is because they're not allowed to have scissors in the inside. And so the only thing they can cut their hair with is like nail clippers. And so they let it grow. Just to answer your question, the forensic pathologist was the first defense witness. His name was Dr. Werner Spitz, and he also said that he believes the tape was placed on the body long after the flesh had disappeared to hold the jawbone on. Why? He said perhaps because someone wanted to move it. The jawbone. I don't know.
He also said the medical examiner, he criticized the medical examiner because they said that it was a, quote, shoddy autopsy. They didn't even cut Kaylee's skull open to look inside. I saw that. Yeah. He said, you know, why didn't you inspect the skull? Right. And the person that did it, or didn't do it, said, follow protocol. Our protocol does not say to do that. So she was just following protocol. Let's see. M1 Cave Dweller from Wisconsin. Good morning. Good morning. First off, I just wanted to wish Jay an awesome, awesome birthday. Thanks. That's very nice of you. Very nice. What's up? I've kind of been following the Casey Anthony case throughout the weekend. And their defense at this point, they're not really interested in explanation. They just want to poke holes in the prosecution. The more they can make it look like the prosecution is grasping at straws, the better chance they have of instilling that reasonable doubt. So the experts that they brought in...
Yeah, they said that the duct tape was placed there after the child's body is decomposed, but they never really explained why. Yeah. Hey, I got it. You've been following this, Cave Dweller? Yes. I have, too, and so has my wife. I got a question for you. My wife asked a very interesting question this weekend, and at first it's going to sound incredibly crazy, but I want you to tell me what you think of this. Killed her daughter because she knew it would devastate her mother. I don't know that I would. Man. Let me try to sell you on that thought. We know she was a terrible mother and she was never around. Casey. And basically her mother took care of Kaylee. And her mother also sort of like talked about Kaylee like she was.
Her own, not her daughter Casey's, but her own. And she was and I know that Casey really resented how her mom was like, well, we're doing this and we're doing that and we're doing this and we're doing that. And this is how it's going to be done. And this and she'd be like, hey, wait a minute. I'm she's my. And she was like, really? Well, you don't you're never around. She's my daughter. Really? Is she really your daughter anyway? And even during testimony, her mom would give this testimony of like, well. In her room, you know, because Casey lived at home. In her room, I had found these things. I knew that they would work better. So I got them because I knew it would look better on the shelf. She's talking like a mom. Not like a grandmother, but like a mom. And in my mind, I'm like, Casey was out partying. She was doing hot body contests. That's what she was doing anyway. That's the kind of stuff she was doing anyway. She liked to party. And she liked to be out. And she didn't really have, I don't think, because I said, well, how could a mom hurt her own kid? Well, because she didn't really care about her that much anyway. She cared more about partying, and she couldn't stand her mom. And I think that she, and by the way, whenever anybody gives testimony, Casey will look at the person, the lawyer asking the question, and then she'll look over at the answer of the person on the stand. Look at the lawyer, look at the person on the stand.
Except when it's her mother. When it's her mother, she looks at the lawyer but won't look at her mom. It's fascinating. I think that it would be possible if Casey Anthony wasn't... I'm pretty... I would be willing to bet a fair amount of money that she probably has antisocial personality disorder, some kind of sociopathic diagnosis. Diagnosis I heard from a professional that's been watching is... borderline personality disorder, which I'm convinced I have as well. All right, thank you for the call. I appreciate it. Thank you very much, Cave Dweller. J-Lo's nipple slipped out. We'll tell you about that. No, seriously, we will. And then there was a Obama impersonator that is, first of all, looks just like Obama and does... The best Obama impression I've ever heard. And he got a little scandalous. So I'll play you that. Tell you about J-Lo and the nipple slip and what that's all about. And how many arrests were made over the weekend with checkpoints. Hang on. Mikey Show coming up in minutes. Oh, stop it. Ketchup packets in my drawer at home. So what? Woods. Mikey, I have a new ritual. What? I have to have a Dr. Pepper and a donut on the way to work every morning. Louisiana. I want to work out. I hate the gym, but I want to go. And Jay. I am a huge fan of meatloaf. On FM 94.9. The Obama impersonator go-to from? Happy birthday to our boy Jay. Our producer is 48. Our boy Jay. Our man, Jay. Old man, Jay. Today's word of the day is necklace. And when you hear me work that into a sentence between now and 10 a.m., caller number nine is going to win a pair of tickets to see the Foo Fighters and a pair of Ultimate Ears by Logitech. Really, really cool.
So before we do the Obama impersonator, Sienna, tell me about J-Lo's nip slip. She had a little bit of a wardrobe malfunction. It was during an appearance on a hit German variety show, Wet n' Dust. Wet n' Dust, yeah. Wet n' Dust. She performed her song on the floor and then she was interviewed by the host and during the interview she reached down to fix her dress and accidentally flashed her right breast. So she was probably trying to... grabbed the little piece of fabric and pulled it up, but in the process of putting her finger and hand down, pulled it down too far. Yes, I'm sure. So there's a little nip all over the internet now. Woods is demonstrating what that would have looked like. Something like that. I bet it was different with her. You think? I bet it looked different than you. Probably smaller boobs than I do. You with your Yankees cap backwards and your button-down shirt. I bet hers was different. You think? Bet. Less hair? Yeah. Just a guess. There's no way her nipple's as small as yours. No one's nipples are that small. Yeah, tiny. Yeah. My sons Luke and Ryan, who are two-year-olds, their nipples are not that small. I know. This Obama impersonator, I mean, he looks just like Obama. But listen to this guy. Thank you. Thank you so much. How you doing, Louisiana? Is that incredible?
Thank you. That's what I'm talking about. That is a welcome. Thank you. Thank you all so much. Yes, we can. God bless you. That's enough. It's my turn to speak. It's great to be back in New Orleans. Is it hot outside or is it just Al Gore? Okay, now he gets a little spicier. He gets spicier. But I love vacations. A few months back, the family and I took a nice, relaxing vacation in the state of my birth. Hawaii. Or as the tea partyers still call it, Kenya. Gosh, he sounds like Obama, doesn't he? Looks like him, too. It does. But time does fly when you're having fun.
And we're more than halfway through June already. Now, my favorite month is February. Black History Month. You see, Michelle, she celebrates the full month. And, you know, I celebrate half. My father was a black man from Kenya. And my mother was a white woman from Kansas. So, yes, my mother loved a black man. And no, she was not a Kardashian. I guess if you look like that guy, you better do an Obama impression. You got to learn it. That's why I started doing Chaz Bono. Works. You don't look like Chaz Bono. He doesn't. You've never impersonated him either. Yes, I have. How many arrests did the San Diego Police Department make over the weekend, Sienna? 22. Oh, wow.
Yeah, there was a drunken driving checkpoint and it saw over 1,200 cars. And of those cars, 18 were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. And additionally, 19 cars were impounded. A citation was given for a license violation. You know, those checkpoints will get you. They will get you. It's nice weather, too. I think that had something to do with it. Yeah, I'm sure. Very sad news. Clarence Clemens died. Sad. Yeah, he died at the age of 69 on Saturday from some complications of a stroke he suffered a week earlier. Oh, that's sad. Yeah. Here he is during a Rolling Stone interview. My whole life growing up was in search for Bruce. Whenever I left my home, I always had my saxophone in the car. And whenever I heard music, I would stop and play. So on the weekends, I would just take my horn and just try it around until I heard some music. So I started down to Asbury Pop. And I went down and there was...
thundering and lightning and raining. I opened the door and the wind blew the door right out of my hand. Lightning flashing behind me. I saw this guy, Bruce, and I said, I want to play. Can I play with you? He said, sure, sure. Anything, you know. Halfway through that first song, I knew right then. I envisioned me sitting here with you right now. Guys, we're the best of friends, Bruce Springsteen and Clarence Clemens and poor guy's gone. Over the weekend, I saw the movie Super 8. Went to see Super 8. And liked it. In fact, I'd probably buy it when it comes out. Now, this movie was directed by J.J. Abrams, who did Lost, TV show Lost. And the executive producer was Steven Spielberg. This is what's cool about it. I think Spielberg is a control freak. Which, as a control freak, I don't have that much of a problem with. And he, you can tell his influence is all over the movie. And so even though J.J. Abrams is directing it, it looks like a Steven Spielberg movie with the camera movements and the music and the way that it gets your heart. And he has a very particular way, Spielberg does, of directing kids. And a very big part of this movie is about early teen kids.
Woods. It's his birthday, Woods. You got to let those fly. You got to let those fly because it's Jay's birthday. So even when he says something that is blatantly exaggeration of any sort of truth, you have to give it to him today because it's his birthday. Happy birthday. Thanks, man. But anyway. But anyway, I thought it was good. And the action stuff, that's where J.J. Abrams is a badass. Sci-fi? No. No. Well, yeah, I guess. Yes, it is. Because it's about Area 51 type stuff. And I don't like, I don't want to give anything away, but I don't like that kind of stuff because it's kind of dorky. That stuff gets dorky for me too. But even if you've seen the trailer of the movie, you know that there's a train crash. It's the single most spectacular train crash I've ever seen on film. And the sound is unbelievable. You know what's cool about J.J. Abrams is that when he was 15 years old, he edited all of Spielberg's Super 8 films that Spielberg took when he was a kid.
How did he have the opportunity to even do that? He won a contest. J.J. Abrams did for like his short film. Spielberg saw it in the paper in like the L.A. Times, called him and said, hey, come edit these. Paid him 300 bucks. And he cleaned them, edited them, and like preserved them. Put them together. Yeah, preserved them. Oh, wow. They've known each other a long time. Super 8 is a type of film. It was, you know, you would just walk into a, back in the 70s and late 80s, or early 80s. You would just walk into a drugstore and you would buy Kodak Super 8 film and you put it in this old-fashioned camera and you would shoot it. And, you know, what this is about is this young kid, little chubby kid that wants to make a movie and films and captures this spectacular train crash. And the film is about the government wanting that footage. And speaking of Spielberg, today is a day that's kind of cool for me because it was 36 years ago today that the movie Jaws came out. You go inside the cage, the cage goes in the water. You go in the water, the shark's in the water. Our shark. Nothing cooler. There's nothing cooler than Jaws. It scared me so bad.
Made so many people not ever want to go in the ocean. Martin! That's compressed air! Damn it, Martin. This is compressed air. What the hell kind of a knot was that? You're going to pull the wrong one! You screw around with these tanks and they're going to blow up. Be careful! 25. Three tons on them. Not love Jaws, wouldsy? I like it. Do ya? Yeah. You don't get it. It doesn't... It doesn't stand up there as like one of the great ones for me. It's a good movie. A barracuda. Huh? What? You yell shark. We've got a panic on our hands on the 4th of July. It wasn't supposed to make any money. It was supposed to be one of the biggest flops in box office history. Bielberg complained throughout the entire production because the shark wouldn't work and it looked so stupid. On to gross. More money than any single motion picture that had ever been released at that time. And scared people.
right out of the water. I mean, that summer they had actual footage of empty beaches because of the impact of that movie. It made me not want to get in a swimming pool. L.O.B. saw something this weekend made her not want to go out to her trash cans. Just to take the trash out. What did you see? I watched an episode of I Survived. I'll catch it, man. So good. This girl got... Battery acid thrown in her face. Holy cow. Twice. Oh, my gosh. So I didn't take the trash out last night. It's full. Yeah, and then this morning I had to. You thought you might get battery acid thrown in her face. Yeah, I was like, oh, my gosh. Yeah, and I couldn't sleep. Then I had to stop at CVS this morning, and I ran inside and ran back out because I thought someone was coming back. There was a battery acid person on the prowl. So let me ask you this. How do you get battery acid thrown in you twice? You mean. Just coincidentally, a person linked because she pointed the finger at the first person that did it to her. Yeah. And he went to jail. And so he sent people after him because of it. Oh, my gosh. Creepy. Yeah. You know what I watched on TV this weekend? Oh, my gosh. You guys are going to think I'm such a dork. I watched that Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz movie Night and Day.
I have it recorded. I recorded it too. How bad? I enjoyed it. It's terrible. Woods, everyone listening, it's awful. It's terrible. It's terrible. But I like watching guns and blowing stuff up, and I love that. I love to see a car going 60 miles an hour down a freeway and hitting another car and flipping up in the air and then coming towards the camera and you go, ah! I love that. I can just see that over and over again. It doesn't matter how stupid it is. I love to watch a car barreling towards me down the middle of the Lincoln Tunnel. I love that. I never get the part where he's on the motorcycle, though, and all of a sudden he's riding a wheelie because he knows they're going to shoot guns at him. Yeah. It's so fake. It's the same thing with Mission Impossible when he did all the motorcycle stuff. I came to a point, though, where I said, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't have to make sense. I used to be the opposite, and I used to say, it must make sense because you can make it make sense. And then I got to the point where I said, I don't care. I just like to see things blow up. What about over actors? You like to see that? What? What is over actors? Both of them. Oh, I don't care. I don't care. So, let me get this straight. Go ahead, Woods. You won't watch Donnie Brasco. No. The reason you told me you wouldn't watch Donnie Brasco is because you thought the clothes that they wore in the movie looked... Quote.
too clean. I believe you should let me explain. That's a quote. That is a quote. Unfair. That is a quote. The clothes looked, quote, too clean. May I explain? May I explain? Excuse. Have at it. Excuse. Have at it. Excuse. Donnie Brasco, a mob movie about a guy that infiltrates the mob, played by Johnny Depp. The guy that brings him in is Al Pacino. And Michael freaking Madsen is in it and plays the mob boss. Done. Was turning the channels. Donnie Bosco's on Showtime. I turn it on and I go, what did you do? Just walk out a wardrobe? What did you do? Just buy that off the rack? Like, who wears clothes that are perfectly clean? And in New York, you know, like you're a mob guy. You just got beat up, but your wife beaters sparkling white. You know why it's sparkling white? Because they just took it out of the package and handed it to him. From Haynes. From Haynes. And it does. I like realism now. I like realism in dramas. If it's action. You don't care. I know I have to throw every bit of realism out the window because it's not meant to be a documentary. Right. And neither is Donnie Brasco. It kind of is. It's a drama. It's about a true story. Right. Okay.
Make it look real. Godfather looks real. Get past the wardrobe. Okay, get past the wardrobe. The costume design of one of the greatest mob movies ever. True story. Is Johnny Depp going to talk like this? And it's going to be like totally overwrought. You have to be honest with me. Is it going to be overwrought? No. He's phenomenal in it. But you really have a thing for that man. Oh, yeah. You have a thing for him. Okay, fair enough. He's one of your favorite, if not your favorite, actor. Yeah, he's up there. You know? You know who Michael Madsen is? He's the biggest badass in the world. I'll watch it. Thank you. I'll watch it. Get past the clean shirts and clean jackets. It's going to be hard to do. Maybe it's just one scene you saw in the trailer that was too clean. Oh, and the rest of it they have dirty. It's all gritty. Making it look like it's the real thing. If you watch Night and Day and you don't watch Night and Day. Night and Day is different. I know it is. I'm just saying. It's Night and Day. It's Night and Day. I'm putting the caveat before I even say it. The following is a stupid film. But it sure is fun to watch stuff blow up. Wow, DB is not a stupid film. You need to check it out. DB. DB.
Donnie Browski. I'll watch it. Jay, 48 today. Can't even believe it. Time flies, huh? When I met him, he was only... He was still in his 20s. 29. Wow. What? Yeah, when I met Jay. Really? Yeah, I've known him. He's worked at Clear Channel, where we both worked. Forever. Worked there forever. He hasn't changed. He looks the same. He still looks the same. It's weird. Yeah, happy birthday, literally. Thanks. Eight-year-old Jasper slept in their bed last night. Jay had to go to bed at the same time, so they, you know, they usually, they fall right to sleep, but about 15 minutes into Jasper's sleep, he farted so loud that it scared him and woke him up. And he started rambling, and Jay thought it sounded like Japanese. Jay thought, oh my gosh, if I could only tape that. Me too, I wish you could tape that. He was still in arms out. He was like,
It was loud. It kind of scared me, too. Woke him up, and he started fighting like that. Who's that? Who's that? Who's that? Who's that? Lay down, Jasper. Jasper, go back to bed. Jasper, go to sleep. Go to bed. Let's see. So, Woods went to lunch with his wife on Sunday. His wife ordered, and we're not going to tell you what place, but it's a sandwich place. His wife ordered a six inch toasted turkey sandwich. And it comes, what happens is the girl in front of us, that's the sandwich that Jamie got. The girl in front of us. So it had pickles and onions and peppers and all kinds of stuff that she didn't want. So do you think that they made Jamie a freshie? Nope. Nope. No, they opened it up and they scraped off with their clear plastic gloves.
They scraped it off. Oh, boy. Hideous. Now, you know why they did that? They did it because they know that none of us have the rocks to go, what are you doing? Like if she was our sister, we would say, hey, piglet, what are you doing? Gloved or not, don't scrape your fingers down my sandwich. Like if that were your sister, you would go. Easy, lazy buns. Make me a fresh sandwich. All the pickle juice is already on the bus. Olive juice and jalapeno. Filthy. You know what I wish that you could do? I wish that you could say, would you do that if it was your sandwich? Would you? You can. I laughed so hard. Because I was like, this only happens to me. Only. Well, Jamie. Well, yeah. Us. Us. I would have full on said something. Of course. We were dumbfounded. She looked at me with her mouth open and I looked at her. I was like, you're kidding. I go, well, this is my recap tomorrow. It's exactly what I said. At work, I believe that Jay is pretty non-confrontational. At the sandwich shop, I believe that Jay will let you have it. Oh, yeah. For sure. That's where he lets it fly.
I might have done it like this. May I please have a new one? Just a little kid. May I please have a new one? And they would have looked at me and gone, which would have threatened my whole day. You would have been spun out the rest of the day. Yeah, the rest of the day I would go, I don't know that person. I can never go back. Right. Because I'll walk in and they'll remember me. They'll go, oh, I remember you. You were Can You Make Me Another One. Anti-scraper guy. Yeah, you're Elton John. Oh, yeah. Elton John. Oh, hi, Celine. Welcome back. Shall I put some rose petals in the toilet and the urinal just in case you have to use it while you're here? Hold on. Let's replace these carpets with the red ones for you. Do you want me to cut up some cucumbers for your water? M1 Cam from Oceanside.
Good morning, Mike and Joe. Good morning. Hey, so I'm not exactly hardcore about, you know, the food, but I know with beverages how sometimes they get a pre-filled amount, you know, with the cup on the machine, and it's never full at the top. Right. Yeah. So I don't care where it's at. If I'm in the drive-thru, if I'm at the line, I'm like, hey, you mind filling this up all the way? Oh, wow. See, I think you could ask. You just gotta, you know, you gotta ask, but you gotta ask nice. Like, they look at you like, wait, really? Are you kidding? It's a preset, pal. They might think twice the next time. Yeah. We got an email from somebody that saw a kid cussing. This is, oh, I'm just going to tell you right now, please call when you hear me read this email. I need your opinion, M1 Nation. Well, this morning, the South Korean military apologized for shooting at a commercial airplane that was carrying 119 passengers and crew. They did this on Friday morning, shot that this Asiana Airlines flight was coming into the airport, and they were mistaking it for a North Korean military jet. Oh, wow. Yeah, no one was injured, thank goodness. Also, really exciting, SeaWorld has a new attraction, you guys. Oh, Sienna loves SeaWorld. Turtle Reef. Turtle Reef opened on Saturday. Mike, what? There are more than 60 hawksbill and green sea turtles. 300 gallon coral reef habitat. You don't say. Hawksbill turtles. Oh, good. Oh, good. The hawksbills are there. Turtles are awesome. I know. There's even this. I like turtles. They have a spinning ride called the Riptide Rescue. You should go with the boys on Saturday. Should. Yes! Some of the turtles are older than 50. No. Oh, wow. You're kidding. They have mustaches. Gray mustaches. Yeah. What's going on in sports? Sports is brought to us today by our friends at Frank's Red Hot. Frank's Red Hot. Oh, yeah. Well, the little Irishman, Rory McIlroy, rewrote history this weekend. The guy went wire to wire in the U.S. Open, finished at 16 under for the tournament. Now, this is the same guy that blew a four-stroke lead in the Masters just two months ago. Guy had no problems. This is him talking about winning his first major. You know, I got my first major championship.
out of the way quite early on in my career, especially after what's happened, you know, the last couple of months. You know, it feels great. And, you know, just looking forward to putting myself in the picture for hopefully many more. Feels great to get out on the greens and feel the sun on the back of me, the back of me neck and just get out there and whack my potter in the rough. He was absolutely phenomenal. It's supposed to be a really challenging course, the U.S. Open. I guess not for him this year. Wow. 16-under for the tournament. Just filthy. That's gnarly. And also, the Padres got swept by the Twins in Minnesota this week. They've lost five in a row. Guess where they go now? They go to Boston to take on the Red Sox, who are 13-2.
Their last 15. The Padres have lost five straight. It could get very ugly, but I'm going to throw this out there. Maybe you go ahead and sweep the Red Sox at home. That would be great. It would be phenomenal. So that game is today at 410, and it will be... It is Andrew Miller pitching for the Sox against Wade LeBlanc. If you're interested in winning Foo Fighter tickets and a pair of Ultimate Ears from Logitech, you're waiting for me to say the word necklace. I'll say it sometime between now and 10. It could be during a commercial break. When you hear me say it, you've got to be caller 9-570-1949 and it'll win. I'm going to read you this email about a kid cussing in just a second. I want to tell you, I'm not going to use any kind of... highfalutin language here in order to get this point across. But I want to tell you about what, if you have iPhone or iPad, what it's going to do in the fall. Even my wife was like, oh, that's pretty cool. What your iPhone and your iPad work on is something called an operating system. Now, to most people, it's like, okay, so what? Well, here's what it's going to, they're adding over 200 new features to it when it comes out in the fall. But here's the cool stuff it'll do.
One thing it'll do is that when you turn on your iPhone, right from the lock screen, there will be a button for a camera and you can take a picture instantly. You don't have to go to your camera. You don't have to do it. You want to take a picture. You just turn it on, hit that little button and use your volume control on the side of the iPhone to take a picture instantly instead of taking time to go to a camera. Now, it's instant. The other thing that you can do with the new system is that you can edit the photo. You can take the red eye out. You can enhance it. You can crop it, and you can do that instantly. But here's another cool thing. If you have an iPad, your iPad now will get text messages. That's right. So you'll be sitting with your iPad, and you get a text message from somebody just like on your phone, and you can send it back. Oh, by the way, You leave your iPad somewhere and go pick up your cell phone and you can pick up the conversation right where you left it off on the other device. So you leave off a conversation on your iPhone, go to your iPad, pick up the conversation, text messaging there. Oh, now when you get an iPhone or an iPad, you know when you want to transfer your music onto your iPhone or onto your iPad, what do you do? You plug it in to the computer. Not anymore.
Now you get an iPhone or an iPad and right out of the box, you don't need a computer. You don't need a computer to set it up. You don't need a computer to plug it into ever. It works all on its own. So anybody can buy an iPad and they don't got to plug it into any computers to put anything on it. You just take it out of the box and start using it. How about this? They will now have magazines and newspaper subscriptions like the books. And so they're delivered right to your iPad or right to your iPhone. So now you wake up in the morning and the brand new edition is there. You don't do anything. That's cool. It's just there. It's going to have a, oh, this is a pretty cool feature. You have an iPad and you're sitting at home and you have a big screen TV and you're like, hey, I want to show you something. Now you link to your big screen TV and you're showing pictures from your iPad wirelessly right to your television.
You're swiping through them. And even when you pinch and open up a picture, make it white, it does that right on your TV screen. Wow. That's all coming in the fall on this new system. So this is something that we are going to download. You're going to download. I don't have to buy a new phone. Wow. Nothing. It's just going to be there. How much does it cost to download? Now, somebody will have to call in and tell me when a new version of the operating system for mobile devices on Apple comes out, somebody will have to tell me. if you have to pay for it. I don't think you do. I think it's just an upgrade. They're upgrading the system. So I should wait maybe to buy my iPad until this comes out? No, it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. So all the music that I have on my computer, I can transfer it all to my iPad if I get one? Of course. Of course. But here's the really cool thing, is that now, because of their new thing that they're coming out with that's already released called iCloud,
If you buy a song on your phone, it instantly appears on your iPad and your computer and your laptop. Instantly. Yeah. Just downloads. You don't have to do anything. You don't have to transfer it. You don't have to buy it again. You don't have to. It just does it all. Plug it in. Check. Hit the checkbox. All that bit. Does it all on its own. Sweet. It does the whole thing on its own. They got a new feature on there where, you know how when you go to a website and it's got ads on it? They have one button that you press, and it gets rid of all the ads and just puts the clear content that you want. All the way in. Oh, dude. Usually, when this stuff comes out, I'm like, I don't care. This is a lot of stuff. This is a lot of really cool stuff that everybody can actually use. You had me at the camera. The camera thing's cool, right? Push the button, your volume button, take a picture. This one, people laugh because me, I got little hands.
This is for short guys with little hands and women, okay? But the iPad, if you've ever used the iPad, when you want to type, you usually turn it so that it's vertical. And then you type. But for me, it's hard because my thumbs, I'm like, oh, yeah, it depends how far in. Well, with this new version, what you'll do is you'll put your thumbs on the keyboard and swipe out, and the keyboard will split in half. So that you can just hold it and go like. Oh, wow. I think even people that have larger hands, that's going to be great for. Yeah. It just makes it easier to type. You can do an entire thesis now on that iPad and it won't because that's a complaint of people. They go, you know what I don't like about the iPad? It's not that easy to type on. Not anymore. You go and.
All they do is they go, well, what do you not like? Oh, we'll fix that. What would you like? What would make your life easier? Oh, we'll add that. I don't know why, but whenever I talk about this stuff, I get letters from people that go, there you go again with your love for Apple. I don't understand it. I don't know why you have to be such a pimp and hang off the jock of the... Hang off the jock of Apple. Apple sniffer. Are you Steve Jobs lovers? Yeah, you lovers, Mike. Is that it? Are you in love with Steve Jobs? Or is it not even love? It's just some sort of physical relationship. More like lust. Yeah, you're in lust. Yeah. People are going to be painting the boards later with how much they love their droid or something else. Now, how do you know all this stuff? That's what I want to know. It was announced at the conference they had.
But I just didn't pay attention to it. But then I went to the Apple website to see what's new. You just call it your home screen? Yeah. Home page. Mikey porn. Oh, I just said that out loud. Mikey porn. Do you watch videos or do you read up? I prefer... Are you messing with me? No, I really want to know. I really want to know. I need a visual of you. Okay. I go to the website and... Of course, they make it very easy. Obviously. Have to be. And there is a little video that explains all the new features. Okay. First, I like to watch the video. Are you pantsless? Clearly. Are you messing with me? I'm dead serious. Yes. Okay. Because I'm usually in bed and I don't wear my pants in bed. Now, if you were to watch it in the kitchen, would you still be pantsless? Yes. Do you watch in the office with your door locked? No. Yes. Like some sort of dungeon pervert, I go into my office. It also has something new. When you turn on your iPhone or you turn on your iPad, there will be a new feature called Reminders.
Oh, this is really great. Oh, I forgot this one. I forgot this one. I forgot this one. I forgot this one. This is great. This is great. This is great. This is great. Check this out. So now you'll turn on your iPhone from the lock screen. And if somebody has text messaged you, or if somebody sent you an email, or if somebody has sent you like a tweet or something, all of them will be listed on the lock screen. You'll see the different ones that you have on the lock screen. And if you want to go right to that, You swipe it and it takes you right to it. My phone does that. Does it? Let me see. I don't have, no one sent me a message. Send them a text. Send them a text. I'll show it to you. When you go in to talk to Rebecca about this stuff is, for the most part, because it happens quite a bit. Isn't she like, it's great, babe. Unless it's really cool. Now, you be honest with me. I need you to be. This stuff's cool, dude.
Okay. Some other stuff that you... Yeah, maybe it doesn't hit your fancy. Right. I feel as though we're not giving you the excitement factor that you wanted. No, as long as you tell me that what I've told you is cool, I'm okay. It's way cool. See, because I think that these are features that people will go... Oh, I love that. Yeah. Because I use it all the time, my phone. This thing sounds rad. First of all, Jay just walked in here with his phone, and it looks like he came in here with a 14-inch screen. You have to turn it off. It is off. Okay. This is the way the screen comes on. Yeah. So it's on there. Yeah, it's the same thing. That's what it's going to be. I don't like that that thing looks like a bread box. That looks huge. It looks like a cake pan. You have to have your iPad. This is like in between. And it twists and does everything. It twists. It's heavy duty. What kind of phone is that? It's the Droid. Droid. And the Droid people really hate us Apple people. Like we're in a civil war. Yeah, it is. You know? Yeah. The Yankees and the Confederates. Can I speak out of school? Sure. That will be.
People have been asking me, because I've had every phone under the sun, what I like the best, and hands down the iPhone, but there's a few things that have been bothering me. Oh, so you just want to hurt me. No. I see. I want to learn how to do it. What? Or I just want to know if it's just incapable of doing this. Tell me. I'll be in an email, and I want to send an attachment. I want to send a picture. There's no option. That is... Is that a... That is a... Yes, you can do that. You can. Yes, but what you need to do is you need to start with the picture, not the email. I know, but what if I'm replying to something and then I want, hey, haha, I'm going to back up how funny my response is with this picture. You can't. You have to send a new email. It's like poison coming out of Mike's lip. I can. I can. Now, I guarantee this. The only reason that you can't is because somebody has not said that to them yet. And they'll go, oh, that's a good idea. I'm going to say it to them because Droid could do that. That's one thing that the Droid can do. You can add an attachment. Add a picture. Oh, you know what else this new system is going to do? In an email now, you will be able to highlight stuff and bold, italics, underline.
That's useful for me. I can do all my work from it. This thing is going to save my life, the iPhone, because I never text and drive anymore. And I mean ever. I can't do it. It's going to save my life. That's good for you. I can't do it. That's a good feature for you. Yes, it is. Mikey, thought your show would find this interesting. While I was at Target this weekend, I heard a kid about 10 cuss and his dad immediately turned and slapped him directly in the mouth. My wife wanted to say something. She was so upset, but I saw nothing wrong with it. Kids shouldn't be cussing. What do you think? M1 Hot Sauce. I think that if you slap your kid in the mouth, it's not going to kill him. And I don't think that you slap your kid in the mouth if your kid is doing something that kids just do. Like cussing? No. See, I don't think that that is something that kids just do. If it's something serious, and to me, that's serious. Cussing? Yes. Wow. Yeah. Cussing in front of dad? I flipped my dad off one time. A good dad. will let you know with extreme prejudice with a slap to the face that you shouldn't do that again oh you're a clown now it depends on what it is now cussing in front of me cussing in front of me is that is you got to teach him you're not doing that again it's a little harsh yeah
It's a little harsh. A little harsh? No. It is in 2011. I see you slap your kid. I will call the cops on you. Go ahead. You slap him in the face. Go ahead. And I'm all for if you're going to spank your kid and you're going to have a conversation with him first and you're not spanking him in anger, you're slapping. That is in anger. You are immediately reacting, not thinking about it. I disagree. I disagree. I believe that there is both. I believe that there are some parents that will slap. And there's no doubt about it. It was because they were just mad and bam. I believe that. I also, because I have personally, I've never slapped any of my kids, but none of my kids have said F in Target. Not yet. Not yet. It's coming. When Luke does that, I'm telling you right now, he may get the back of my hand. He might. Now, my wife, I know, is flipping out right now because my wife is. She's a believer in timeouts. She's a firm believer in timeouts. She's a very firm believer. I'm sorry, honey, I love you, but she's a very firm believer in timeouts. She's a believer in feelings and discussing it and discussing rationally, you know, what are your feelings on that? Where are you going to live? Will you talk to me about how you're feeling? I know. Hey, listen, I know. I know. Should I get the guest bed ready? Yeah. Oh, I don't think so. I don't think. I think the locks will change. Yeah. Well.
First of all, I don't think that's every kid, man. And I think that some kids, I think your kids are different. Some of them require something that the other ones don't require. Some of them, I believe me personally, me, Mike Esparza, when I was a kid, I required a slap in the face. I required that because a timeout wasn't going to, for me personally, Would have been a joke. And I would have feigned that it was working. So that they would continue to do that line of discipline with me. Because I, in the back of my head, I was like... But what I did care about was a good whap to the face every once. And I only got a couple of them. I mean, my whole life, I only got a couple of them from my dad. But they were very, very effective. And they didn't kill me. And... in many ways were good for me. Now, because I was a moron, I still went in my own way with certain things. You know, with certain things, I still went my own way. But my dad was good. It was good at teaching me certain things. Where did it go? 570-194-9. I would love to hear what people think. Is it child abuse? If you slap your kid, is it child abuse?
Should the CPS be called? Or is it discipline? I don't know. What do you guys think? L.O.B., is it child abuse or discipline? It's the line that gets crossed because child abuse is beating up your kid, right? Sure. So I think in an area where if you're going to spank him on the butt, you're not going to ever really do a ton of damage. Child abuse. No, but if you're near the face and the brain and places like that on a kid. I'm serious, though. You jostle things around like that. Now, I got the heavy hand with me, and I don't think it really, I mean, I think I turned out to be a good kid, but I think it just made me scared of confrontation. I would hide things from my parents because I was like, oh. You don't want to get slapped. Wait, wait, wait. Now, she brings up a great point. She brings up a really great point. This is what my kids will always know. When you tell me the truth, you may be disciplined because of it. But what you won't be is you won't be slapped if you tell me the truth. I'm never going to go, did you steal that? Yes. That's not going to happen. Now, I may go, did you steal that? And the answer is yes. And I go, all right, you're going to miss something tonight. And I'll tell them this, too, by the way. The punishment, and this mimics life. This mimics life. If you tell me the truth, the punishment will be less harsh.
And what if you say to the kid after he drops an F-bomb, you know that's wrong, and he admits that he knows it's wrong? No, no, no. The F-bomb is not a, did you do this, and a lie. Okay? I think there's different forms. I mean, even in real life, I always want parenting to mimic real life. And in real life, you're not, you're going to have lesser punishment for certain things. Does it do anything for you if the kid said it not to his dad, but just said it? It makes a difference. It doesn't make a difference? Woods, it's not okay for kids to drop an F-bomb, man. It's a word. I'm trying to get my hands around the fact that you're going to say to your son, okay, you know what? I'm going to give you a spanking. I get that. You've done wrong and now you've given me no choice. I'm going to give you a spanking. Or you've given me no choice. I'm going to slap you in the face. Wow. There's a vast difference between the two. Slap you in the face. I'll tell you. One is martial law. One is a penalty that you're going to get martial law. Here will be the martial law. Lying.
If you lie to me, it's going to be martial law. Now, I don't mean a slap. I don't mean a slap. The reason that I think that a slap works in the cursing case is because the punishments go into where it came from. It came out of their mouth. Wash his mouth out. Yeah, you could do that, too. Yeah, I got that. I mean, I suppose you could do that, too. And I suppose that if the word happened while you were in the bathroom and there was some soap there, I suppose that could be the answer. I'll tell you this. For some kids, the soap bit don't work. I knew some kids that the soap thing, you know, growing up, I had my issues. That wasn't one of them. You know what I mean? I had my issues. That wasn't one of them. But the phone lines are blowing up and I want to hear from you. 570-194-9. What do you think? Is it abuse or is it discipline? Today we're looking at a continuation of the same old, same old, meaning same old, small, southwestly swell. A little bit of a background, west, northwesterly, windsmall joining in with it.
Continued low tides in the morning will further hurt size and shape. Really pretty small out there, ankle knee high, maybe some waist high waves on average. A few of the top open areas that can get that south swell can still see a few pluses, waist high plus, maybe a chest high wave on occasion. Again, all areas being hindered by a low tide this morning. Overcast skies, light and variable winds, relatively clean. Look for some improvement throughout the morning as that tide fills in. Overcast skies will greet you, but it looks to be a little bit lighter, so maybe we'll see a little bit more of a break in terms of sunshine. earlier today than what we have been seeing. Winds, again, pretty light right now, so fairly clean. Water temperature, chilly, though, in that lower 60-degree range. And that's pretty much what we're looking at. This email that we got about the kid cussing in just a second, but we have breaking news right now, right, Sienna? Yeah, one of the stars from Jackass, Ryan Dunn, died in a car accident in Pennsylvania this morning. He was driving around at 3 a.m. when the crash happened on, I was going to say the route, but not like anyone here knows, Route 322. Yeah, it's just very sad. It was another unidentified person that both died.
Just so sad, man. He tweeted a picture of him and two friends drinking last night, and then it happened. Yeah, 3 a.m. is not a good time to be driving around. He was hysterical on that show. Hysterical. One of his famous things was inserting a toy car somewhere where a toy car shouldn't go. He looks like Zach Galifianakis. He does. He was really funny, man. That's really sad. Really sad. Anyway, that's breaking news. So, all right, so let me read you this email, and you tell me what you think. 570-1949. This guy says, thought your show would find this interesting. While I was in Target this weekend, I heard a kid about 10 cuss, and his dad immediately turned, slapped him directly in the mouth. My wife wanted to say something because she was so upset, but I saw nothing wrong with it. The kid shouldn't be cussing. What do you think, M1 Hot Sauce? My opinion is,
Uh, you know, I do not believe in abuse, but I do believe in discipline and I believe in physical discipline. Um, I believe that it teaches a kid the right way. And I believe that we live in a culture and a society that has wussified itself and that we've turned into a politically correct society that says that everything's abuse. Uh, and so, uh, I don't think everything's abuse, but slapping your kid in the face is, I think. I think that there are people that say that spanking your kid's abuse. Yeah, and spanking, I agree with Jay. Spanking, I think, is different than slapping your kid in the face. I am. That's a little rough. It isn't a little rough. It's rough. It's a lot rough. It's a lot rough, yeah. It's a lot rough. Spanking, you know, I think a kid drops an F-bomb. He's my kid, and he's 10 years old, and we're in Target, and he's like, F this. I grab him around the back of his neck, and I go, hey. Watch your freaking mouth, man. Don't say that. Woodsy, if my kid goes to McDonald's, I can't get mad at him. I go to McDonald's all the time. Right. If your kid drops an F-bomb. Yeah, but I'm not going to curse around my kid. Your kid's not going to hear that? I'm not going to curse around my child. I curse at work. I'll curse when I'm with my buddies. I'll curse on the diamond. I'm going to try my best not to curse at home. He's going to hear it. Well, he's going to see it in movies. He's going to read it. I mean, dude.
You can't shelter your kids from that. No, it's going to happen. You're going to hear, you know, he's going to hear it from your mouth. I actually don't curse near as much as I used to. And it's something that I'm consciously working towards. So in 20, 25 years when I get a kid. Because I heard shooters say the F word the other day. And I know where it came from. My kids have heard me say it plenty of times. But I don't. I try not to say it. I'm going to try not. They know the words. I mean, they all know the words because all the kids at school are saying it. I just tell them. you can't use it yeah but jay i mean maybe that's why you have a softer take on it right i mean is that possible that you may have a softer take on it because you're like hey listen i do it so i don't think they're bad i i think they're just words what's the difference between the word and just saying s it has the same meaning you know that is s is ridiculous i do think that it i do think that it's different to say a word okay well that that poop is ridiculous it's the same thing poop and s is the same thing It means so much. But S and S is the same thing. Right. Wait a minute. It's conveying the same thing. No, no, no, no. Why not? Well, for the same reason that the term African-American and the N-word are different. They both carry, they both mean something. They have a very, one's hurtful. We've given it hurtfulness. Really?
So we should be able to say that word, the N word, and not carry any, we've made it that way? I think we've made it that way. Well, yeah. I think it's just a word. Okay, you know what? I'm going to give you that. We have. We have given it power. But the truth is, is that it's got power now. And we keep giving it. There'll be other words that have power now. Next thing you know, it's going to be not appropriate to call us Caucasian. Oh, what? I bet you're right. You can't. I bet you're right. You're out of your mind. That word has negative meaning. Hey, listen. I'm not going to disagree with you, but the fact of the matter is the F word's got power. Sure. But in the way you discipline your kid for saying the F word isn't to slap him in his mouth. Yeah, it will. Well, the kid. Hey, dad, this place is really F smack. I mean, that's freaking. I think part of the reason that you think that it's freaking crazy is because it's something that you do. No, I don't think that you can. No, not at all. Not at all. There's no part of it that does that. You're like, how can I really get down on the kid that bad? I say it. It's just a word. Even if my kid pushed a shelf over intentionally, a whole shelf over in the store, I wouldn't go, time to slap him in the face. It doesn't matter what he does. If he pushed another little girl down, it would.
All these things have the same punishment in my mind. It's like, hey, you're in trouble. We're leaving, right? I'd just walk away from my basket. I'd take them outside, and that's where we would handle it. And it would be a conversation like, hey, this is what you did wrong. This is why you did it wrong. Now you're going to get a spanking. Yeah. M1Million from La Jolla. Hey, I grew up in a Mexican-Caucasian household, small town, five kids. Dad was always gone. Mexican mom always had a fly swatter, a rolled-up piece of paper. Something nearby. And I understood that we had to respect her. But when I fast back and she smacked me in the mouth, ultimate disrespect. Yeah. And hey, listen, I get that because my mom, my mom says the same thing. My mom says that, you know, my mom used to be a firecracker man. When her mom would do stuff that was disciplinary and, you know, my mom would get real mad. And different people and different kids.
It's like I said, you know, different kids are different and you got to treat them different. You know, something's not going to work on one kid. Something's going to work on another kid. Now, when I discipline my daughter with forethought and I give her a spanking and I tell her why she's being spanked and we're at my mom's house, she says, don't do that. Don't hurt that baby. Isn't that crazy? Yep. Isn't that? You're like. You beat the crap out of me and rolled up New York Times. Easy USA today. Why don't you settle down? Easy wooden spoon. Take care, flies water. Well, thanks a lot. I appreciate the phone call. 570-1949 is our number. M1EK all day from Laguna. Good morning. Well, of course they do.
by an appropriate response from the parent. Sure, and cocking off and slapping some kid in the face for saying F at Target, it seems like the guy went off a little bit half-cocked. What should you do? Grab him. Yank him out of the store and say, hey, you listen to me, man. You don't run-mouth and you don't say words like that in Target. I'm going to take you. I'm going to spank your butt. Well, I think this. I mean, dude, I don't disagree with that. I mean, I don't have a problem with that. It's the half-cocked. F slap. It's reactive. Yeah. And I don't agree with any reactive discipline. Right. I mean, I've disciplined my kids pretty hard at times. I don't do the reactive thing. You know, I don't. I think about it. And most of the time I want to cry. Yeah. Most of the time I want to cry. And at times have. Yeah. And I don't want them to see that because I don't want them to think I'm a. P word and, you know. But anyway, it can't be reactive. But I think that there are some people that would think if you yank your kid out of Target that you're being an abusive dad. I know. You know, and if they see that, they'd be like, oh my gosh, that guy just grabbed. L.O.B. said that she saw that and you were upset about it and your boyfriend, Matt Commerce, wasn't. Yeah, because we saw a mother and probably a four-year-old.
crossing a crosswalk right in front of our car. And the kid was a kid. He's looking at stuff and, you know, just kind of like lagging behind, looking around. And she's grabbing him, like yanking his arm out of the socket. And come on, come on, she's saying to him. And my window isn't down, but I look out the window and I'm like, get off of him. And my boyfriend, Matt. Commerce is in the driver's seat, and he says, maybe keep your eyes on your own paper. Oh, wow. I said, excuse me, but that is unnecessary. He's not doing anything wrong. She wasn't disciplining him. She was just, you know, handling him roughly. And he said, well, what are you going to do? Would you actually say something to her? I said, I'd probably roll down the window as you drove away and say, maybe pick on someone your own son. No! Wow! Perfect. Sienna, how about you? Your kid drops an F-bomb. What are you going to do? I'd never slap him in the face. What would the punishment be? I would probably do a jaded and just say, that's it, we're out of here. Leave the cart. That's it? They would be terrified at the thought that I'm even leaving the cart. They know I am mad because it's not easy to go out when you have kids and get all that stuff done. So to just leave it, they're like, I'm dead. The fear in their mind of what I'm going to do by the time I get home and what I'm thinking of doing, they're like, oh gosh, oh gosh. But when you get home, are you going to do something?
Maybe spanking on the butt. I have zero problem with spanking on the butt. But I mean, just talk to them. Because your line of discipline was like, well, Woodsy, you can't discipline for that because you do it or you've said it. But your whole thing, man, is, hey, listen, I'm going to tell my kids not to do certain things that I did, you know, growing up or like. I'm going to tell my kids that I did it. No, no, no. I'm not going to say I did it and you shouldn't. Right. What I'm going to say is I did it and it was foolish. and I shouldn't have done it and it was wrong. Right. That still works with cursing. You can still do that. I mean, you can still say the same. I can still say the same to my kid. Listen, I've said it before. I know you've heard me say it. I try not to do it. You shouldn't do it. You're 10 years old. We got to draw a distinction. Okay. There has to be a time where your kid doesn't know that it isn't okay. That's called the first time. In other words, if Jake came home today and said the F word, he's not getting that. No.
And the reason that he isn't is because, first of all, he's never heard that word in our house. Right. He's never heard that word. And so if he learns it, the kid, he didn't know. Right. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to say, I don't ever. Look at me. Look at me. I don't ever want to hear you say that again. Do you understand? Yes. What did I just say? That's our bit with Jake. They have to repeat it. Because if they repeat it, it means that they understood. By the way, I had a talk with him this weekend, Jay, about sex stuff. Wow. And I made him repeat it to me so that he understood. And see, he's going to be five. He's four. It's not weird to him right now. It's an early age. So by the time he's seven, eight, he's going to have her dad talking about that stuff for a long time. It's not going to be weird. It's not going to be weird. The reason it gets weird is because when they're nine, you're like, and this is a penis.
And they're like, ew, gross! Like, oh my god, dad, shut up! I think you'll start asking every female he meets now. Right, you have them. They do, for sure. Oh, wow. I can do what I want. Can't get mad at me. Vagina, vagina, vagina. Boner. Inappropriate. So anyway, there you go. We could take more calls on it, but... All day long, apparently. There's a lot of people calling about it. Are we bored? I'm kind of bored. What food is perfect? Let me tell you what I mean. Switching gears? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Real good. What food is perfect? And what I mean by that is you find no flaw with it. There is not, it's not, well, it's great, but. If you can put it's great, comma, but, comma, it doesn't work. It needs to be, it's perfect. There's nothing wrong with it.
The way this came up is Sienna mentioned a particular food. Yeah. And she said it was perfect. And I agreed with her. And Woods and L.O.B. fiercely disagreed. Yes. Which upsets me. I'm sorry. It's okay, Sienna. They're wrong. It's not personal. They're wrong. It's not personal. We're not wrong. They're all wrong. It's not a personal thing. We shouldn't make it personal. If I said Mimulo, then maybe you would take personal offense to it, Mike. Right. Because I'm Hispanic. Yeah. Well. Because it's your favorite food that you make all the time. That you're eating as we speak. I believe that King's Hawaiian bread is perfect. You're correct. You know the bag with the little loaves? It's orange packaging. So good. It's perfect. It's very good. Don't give me that. It's very good. It tastes pretty good for sweet flavored bread. What's wrong with that? You can't eat everything on it. And bread is typically used for a sandwich. Ham tastes very good on that. Turkey does not. Wait a minute. Wait. I find a flaw with this. Yes, you're correct. You can't put enchiladas on it. Well, no. I'm not being a clown about it. I'm saying you can't make a roast beef sandwich on King's Hawaiian bread. Of course you can. It's hideous. You just made my mouth water. Of course you can. You just made my mouth water. You can, but you also, it's not perfect because it can't be had alone. Yes, it can.
I can. That's why it's perfect. Who has just Hawaiian bread? Me. Oh, I can. That's the point. I can't either. That's the point. I don't want. Oh, yeah. It's just as good alone, if not better. I don't like sweet bread. It's like a donut. You get a honey baked ham. Honey baked ham. Oh. And you take a chunk. Not alone. How's that alone? Not alone. I'll eat just that. You take it out of the bag? Oh, I see what you're saying. You take it out of the bag and just eat it? Oh, yeah, I can do that. Oh, I couldn't do it. But I wouldn't do that with Wonder Bread. But Wonder Bread's not perfect either. No, it isn't. I buy the Hawaiian bread so that I can eat it. So you can grab a roll and feast. Yes, and so does Jenna. We bought some last night. Not my thing, but easily doable. Oh, so good. Easily. What's perfect, Woods? Mashed potatoes. Oh, you can eat those just alone? They are. Homemade mashed potatoes. I agree. Oh, yeah. I agree. Just mashed potatoes. No butter, no... You're just going to eat a potato. Homemade mashed potatoes. Yeah, the way you make them. With butter. But you can't eat them just by themselves. Yeah, you can. Well, you're saying it's the same argument. The way you make mashed potatoes is with butter and salt and pepper. That's how you make them. It's a recipe for the bread joke. Right. You make mashed potatoes with butter and salt and pepper. I'm with that. I think mashed potatoes are perfect food. Yeah, you don't take a potato out of a bag and go...
That's not right. But when they mash it with butter and milk. And milk. Yeah, butter, milk, salt and pepper. Salt and pepper. Do you like clumpy mashed potatoes or smooth? I like clumpy. I like clumpy. And you know what else I like? Leave a little skin in there, too. It's real good. Isolate. You silly sausage. Lauren O'Brien. Cheesecake's perfect. No, it isn't. It's perfect. Every single piece of cheesecake, here's the flaw. Too rich. Too decadent. I could eat it after a jog. Unless the slice was like the size of a half dollar, it gets to be too rich. I can eat a chunk of it. Isolate that. No, no, no. Would you give up for lip? Horizontal. I want it all. Strapped. Naked, clothed. That's a 16-foot catamaran. That would be what's perfect food. Chicken parm. Oh, yeah. That's pretty freaking good. Chicken parm. Can I sell you on it? Please. It's crispy. Yeah. And it's always, it's got to be piping hot. It's crispy, and then the breadcrumbs are just the slightest bit sweet. Slightest bit. Then you have tangy sauce on there.
Then you have cheese, which kind of neutralizes the whole thing out. You got me. I don't agree. What's wrong with it? I'm just imagining, like, it's hard to have a perfect chicken parm. You don't find a good one everywhere. My mom's. You know where, I'll tell you, there's a place where there's a perfect chicken parm. Where? And there's only two places I've ever been to that do it. One's in New York City, which I can't go to, and the other one's right here in Del Mar at Pamplemousse, and that's the Bone Inn. Oh, no, Mike, that's field parm. You ever just ruin a bit by talking about something complete? A lot of times it's soggy. Sometimes it is too breaded. If it's a thin breast and it's just perfectly breaded. You hit me at bone in. You hit me at bone in, Mike. Keep going. What's the perfect food? 570-1949 and then sell me on it. It's a lie.
I think you got me with the chicken parm. I think maybe it is. I want some right now. It's a bit tangy. It's a bit tangy. But the mozzarella cheese, it'll neutralize it. It neutralizes it. Yeah, you're right. 570-1949. I think we have it. You'll be a part of the show. 570-1949. Or shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com. Ruh-roh. F-M-M. 94-9. You can call 570-1949. We got one on Facebook. I'm going to tell you in just a second that they are 100% right. M1 Hector, you are 100% right. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Well, after a New York man died, his family hired a private investigator to try to find his brother who was going to be inheriting all of his money. Well, his brother was found homeless in Salt Lake City pushing a gun. grocery cart through a park after two months of searching and is now inherited. They're not saying how much money, but enough for him to buy a home, have a normal life, have insurance, clothing for everything. It's awesome. Yeah, his name is Max Melitzer. Stoked Max Melitzer. Yeah. Also, start looking for some new, what would you call these? Dot coms? What do you call those? Yeah, dot coms. Dot com, dot org, dot net. Now they're going to have dot coke, dot law. Dot NYC. Some more domains. That's what I was looking for. That are expected to start rolling in late next year. We don't need that. Dot Coke. Dot Coke. That's so weird. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. It's what's going on in sports. Well, Denny Hamlin won his first race of the year, Mike. He won the hell of a good sour cream dips 400.
At Michigan International Speedway, this is him talking about finally winning his first race of the year. It feels good to kind of get a win after sneaking up on everyone, you know, at last week. And when we go to these racetracks, we've won it before. Everyone expects us to win, and we expect ourselves to win. But, you know, we just had little bugs to keep us from doing that. And Mike Tolbert, who's the running back for the San Diego Chargers, has a new off-season training regimen. You know what he's doing? He's boxing. Guy checked in at 258 in the offseason. Can you figure out how to make a t-shirt out of this? Guy can do anything. So check him out. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. He's awesome. What is the perfect food? M1 Hector wrote on our Facebook page, Facebook.com slash Mikey Show. McDonald's fries. 100. Brilliant. But they need ketchup. No, they don't. No. No, they don't. Right out of the chute. Just perfect. Perfect. Crispy, soft, doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Burnt.
Doesn't matter. M1. Sean from San Diego, what's the perfect food? Bacon. And I'll tell you why. You can put bacon on the pan. You can cook it. You don't have to add a single thing to it. And it's always perfect. And you can put it on absolutely anything. I prefer mine real crispy. Not me. I like mine soggy. Oh, yeah. Flexible. I like mine. Flexible. Yeah, you pervert. Makes you pervert. What? Yeah, people that like bacon that's like floppy. Sex addicts. The more flexible, the better. Yeah, I like it. I like it. Like, I like to pick it up and go, no. Like a spaghetti string. Like a spaghetti. Me too. It's perverted. It's perverted. Yeah, you perv. So good. See how you're the same? Yes. I hate crispy bacon. I hate it. Oh, me too. I hate crispy bacon. I don't hate it. I'll eat it. I'll eat it too. But I prefer more flexible. I hate it, but I'll eat it. I want it that moment before it becomes black. Me too. Wow. Oh, I love crispy. That's a statement. I love it. Okay. Yeah. 570-1949. M1 Jeff from San Diego. Are you there? Yes. What's up? Hey, how's it going? Good. Good. What are you calling about? You know, I was calling about Father's Day. You know, my...
My wife wanted me, you know, she wanted to know what I wanted for Father's Day, and I just told her all I wanted to be was left alone. Are you in a fight with her? No, you know, we have kids, and I just, you know, I just wanted to be left alone. And now she's kind of mad at me. And, you know, I mean, it was my day, wasn't it? Yes. Father's Day is your day. But if your wife says, what do you want? And you say not to look at your face that that's, you know, or the kids face or the kids faces or, you know, that I could see how maybe they would take that the wrong way. It like, let's say your wife, it's Mother's Day and you say, what do you want for Mother's Day? And she says for you to go to Idaho, that might make you upset. Well, maybe it wouldn't. Men and women are different. Men and women are different. I do understand that. Men do like their little alone time. But maybe you say it. I think it's all in the phrasing of it. I think that maybe the best way to phrase the same answer is, you know what? I just want to spend time not doing anything. I just want to relax and not do anything at all. And be in my man cave. Yeah, for sure. Did you say it in a mean way? Because I...
I wouldn't really be that mad if Todd was like, I just want to do nothing and have my alone time and just have a day of just doing what I want. What if he said, I just want to be left alone? Yeah, that's mean. You don't have to say it in like a nice way. How did you say it, M1 Jeff? I think I said it in a very nice way. I just said, you know, honey, I just want to be left alone today. You know, but who knows? Maybe I should have said the man cave. Maybe that would have worked better. Let me tell you something. That's my wife's hurt button. Yep. You know, and I think that on some level, every woman's a little hurt by that. But for my wife, especially, she doesn't like that bit. That's her like you want to get her. That's the thing. And so I have to be very careful with, you know, being alone. And she'll do the thing where she'll be like, oh, you want me left alone? Fine.
You know, she'll kind of like, she'll get hurt. Well, she used to. She'd get hurt and she'd be like, fine. I'm going to leave you alone. I'll leave you alone. I'm going to leave you alone for six months. Yeah, I'll leave you alone with the kids and me just packing it up and taking it to the beach. Then you'll be all alone. I'll leave you alone with the kids. Let's see how that works out. How do you like that? L-O-B, are you hurt by? That's my big one, too. Yeah. Because it implies that I'm bothering you. Oh, wow. Yeah, that's Rebecca talking. That's what it implies. That's Rebecca. If you put it in a way of, what's the cause of needing to be alone right now? You just want to veg out. You just want to get some work done. You need this time, whatever. But saying, I just need to be left alone. Means like, oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know I was grating on you. Yeah. You know what it interprets to? It interprets to, I don't want to be around you. Yes. And that's interesting because Miss Lauren O'Brien relishes in her alone time. I do. Very much. I have to find delicate ways to say it or make something up of why I need to be alone. I need to write. It's just a lie. I need to write. I'm writing bits, Matt. I'll write in the email.
It's still writing. So let me get this. And thank you for the call, Jeff. I appreciate it. Let me get this straight, LLB. Yes. You do like to be alone. Yes. But you don't like to be left alone. I don't like to be told, leave me alone. Oh. Because, like I said, it implies that I was doing something that's that irritating that you now want me out of your face. Woodsy. Yo. Where do you fall on this? My wife's pretty good about it, and I think I'm pretty good about it, too. I mean, we both, she works hard. You know, I work not really that hard, but she, I give her her space, and she gives me mine. But our space is like 20 feet apart. I'm in our bedroom playing PlayStation in bed. She's on the couch. I can see her. That's our alone time. But we're not really conversing, but we may, like, hey, what are you watching? Like, we're not ever really alone alone. We're in kind of the same room almost. My wife's probably listening. Rebecca's probably listening. Sometimes you'll say something and you don't think. You just say it. And I'm the type of person that just, you know, I don't like the BS stuff. You know? I like to just say what the deal is. And I'm learning. Saturday at noon, I had an appearance. Not an appearance. I was speaking.
We have a routine. This is how it works. Saturdays are family day, okay? So from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. is my time with no one else, just me, which we had to negotiate this, okay? It was like the collective bargaining agreement. We went to the table and we negotiated a deal. The deal is that we usually wake up at 6 a.m., and from 6 to 7, boys are all in bed, blah, blah, blah. At 7 o'clock, the boys all go downstairs and start eating, and she does too. And for two hours, I watch my DVR'd stuff. I pray. It's my time. What throws a monkey wrench into it is when there's a change. Like on Saturday, I'm speaking at noon. I got to leave at 11. A lot of times there is something implied that's not really happening. I think something's going on, but it isn't. I thought, okay.
I'm not going to take my seven to nine time. I'm going to spend time with everybody because I got to leave early. And in her mind, it's, oh, well, that's nice that you're deciding to forego your deal. But at nine o'clock, we're hanging out. So I had earplugs in and I had a black eye mask over my eyes. Execution. Oh, my God. I acknowledge that. I know. I acknowledge that, Sienna. And so apparently she'd been saying my name, but I didn't know. And so she tapped me on the arm. And I took my and I took my my blinders off. And I went, yeah, baby. And she's talking. I go, huh? And I finally realized, oh, so I took him out, took out the earplugs. And it was 10 minutes to nine.
And she said, we're leaving in 10 minutes. And I go, oh, where are you guys going? And I meant it. I wasn't. No, no, no. Honestly, I didn't. I was curious where they were going to go. And she goes, we're all going. We're all going at nine. And I and I was for just for a brief second. I was confused. Didn't know what she meant. And then I and then it dawned on me. Oh, we're under the same schedule. And I went. okay, well, okay. And so she walks, she's on the phone, she's talking to her mom and she's like milling around in the kitchen or I mean in the, in the bathroom cause we're in our main room. And I said, can you leave? I need to pray. And I realized, oh, that might've seemed harsh, but I, but that's what I needed. I needed her to leave. When I pray, I gotta be alone. And so I know when I first said it, she must've thought, that was a jerky thing.
And then I realized, oh, yeah, that was probably. And I didn't mean it harshly. I just meant you got to go. I only have 10 minutes. Skedaddle. I mean, I only have 10 minutes. I have to pray, get dressed, and then we'll go. But I got to get this done. And I'm sure she was like, who are you talking to? You didn't argue when she said. No. Wow. I'm impressed by that. No. If I had said to Todd and he was not expecting to go anywhere, he needs to know way ahead of time. No. And I said 10 minutes, we're going. He'd be like, no, we're not. Well, I realized that she assumed we were on the same schedule. And, you know, if I did anything, I know that is not going to go to a fast forward that tape. If I started to complain, like, where's that going? And the truth is, it's like the only thing that bummed me out was I was in that. Your mask on. Yeah, with the mask on and the earplugs. I was in that place where your body feels like it's floating in a swimming pool. You know that part of sleep? Oh, yeah. You're not completely there, but you're well on your way. It's almost perfect. Yeah. You're floating in the swimming pool, and you're right about to reach that nirvana where you actually go, and she tapped on my arm.
I think I did go, ah, what? Just do a visual of that. The headphones on, or with the blinders on. So you woke up in time to take a nap? No. It's 9 a.m. You're already going back to sleep? Well, I get up at 5. 6, I thought. 5, 6. Yeah, 5, 6. Okay, I get up at 6. Fact checkers. Got up. Had something to eat. Went back to bed. 9 a.m. I do the same thing. I get up. Where's my mask? Cup of coffee. Bowl of cereal. All right. I'm going back to bed. Get in bed. I'm worn out. Need some nap time. You do? Oh, yeah. On the weekends? Hell, yeah. Oh, my gosh. Mike, I'm on mile 27 on my 10 speed. You guys need more activity. I have a broken angle, so I can't really do mine. Really? I'm on mile number 12 on my carbon fiber 10 speed, fatso. My $30,000 bike. Yeah. By about 9 a.m., I was at mile 20. With my skin tight biker shorts on. Hey, if y'all missed the picture, check out my profile picture. Because that's me, Ross Max. Yeah, that's me, Lance Armstrong. In a race that I placed in. Place third. You know, Lance actually saw me living strong and he was like, you know what? I should make a wristband for my cancer for that. Live strong. That's what he does. He lives strong.
I could just live like Jay Isbell. Like Jay Isbell. I might beat this thing. I might beat this thing. I wanted to call it Live Jay, but nobody was buying that one. Well, no one got it. Nobody got it. Everyone gets Live Strong. Yeah, Jay Strong. Yeah, I told him, you know, you got to pay for the rides to my name, and he wasn't willing to pay what I wanted, so it turned out to be Live. Yeah, the price was infinity. He said how much, I said an eight. Y'all heard he was doping, right, Lance Armstrong? My blood. Use my blood in the Tour de France. That's what they make, the doping stuff that he took. They make it out of my blood. He was doing blood transfusions. Yeah. And so he took my blood and won seven Tour de France's. Imagine that. They take my plasma and they put it into like a little thing. A vial. A vial. A little platelets of blood. A little platelets. I'm just saying, if you're tired from eating breakfast, something's wrong. Touche. Yes. I know that. We get up so early. Dude, being able to sleep in on the weekend. I love how he tells us, if you're tired from eating breakfast, there's something wrong. I know that. We know. Why don't you guys just sleep in later? Then you won't need a nap. I'm hungry. You can't. I want to eat. I want to eat. Have a cup of coffee. Hunger wake you up. Hunger. Wow. If hunger wakes you up.
You might be a fat guy. If you wake up, eat breakfast, then go back to bed, you might be a fat guy. If you wake up, have some toast, and now you're tired, need a nap from it. If you're a guy on the Mikey Show that's not me, you might be fat. Sorry, Chris. Oh, boy. Oh, man. Nobody knows. I do take a nap. I like it. It's the best. In the week, I'm running around. You nap every day during the week. I don't get to every day. You guys nap. You guys nap more than preschoolers. Yes. Listen, I've got no kids. I've got my wife's at work. What am I supposed to do? Thanks. I got a broken foot. And thank you, Rebecca, for posting that picture on Facebook. That's great. I saw that. Both Woods and I woke up from a nap and saw it. It's a tough day. Somebody kidnapped Woods and I and made us eat McDonald's on Friday and then go back to my house and watch TV. Somebody, do you mean your car? Christine, your car that's on autopilot. And Rebecca, Woods left. I was asleep on the couch.
Oh, my gosh. Rough day. Rappers all around you. It's Friday, you guys. It's Friday. Sweet Marie. My goodness. Don't you have things to do? For corn's sake, you guys. Yeah, for corn's sake. Come on. She goes to throw something away in the trash, probably something green in an EBF-free bottle. It's a Hanson's diet. Yeah. All natural soda. She went to throw that away and she saw Woods' spit cup and wrappers. McDonald's wrappers. And Amazon packaging. Amazon packaging. And she took a picture of it and posted it on the Facebook. And I woke up and I hit my phone and I looked at the Facebook app and it was like 57 notifications. And so I hit it, and I got to squint. I looked at it. I'm like, really? With the funny? I get my phone, and the first thing I see is from M1 Whoopi, and it says, wow, dot, dot, dot, just wow. Yeah, me too. And I go, what did I do? I know. What did I do now? Get off work at 10 on a Friday, eat McDonald's, take a nap, and hang out with their friend in peace while they order Amazon. It's like getting your, it's like we're.
German Shepherds getting our nose rubbed in it. Yeah, there's no question. Did you remember when I texted you in the drive-thru line? We were in line at 10.50. Oh, gosh. On a Friday. And I go, you ever just go through the drive-thru before 11 a.m.? Are they still serving breakfast? Hey, Steve. Hi, Mike. Hey, it's What's in Mikey. Hey, you guys are late. It took you guys so long. It's Friday. Really? Seriously? Is that out? Just the usual? The usual. Yes, please. At a six-piece McNugget. Again? Yeah. When do you guys plan this? Like, we're in here the whole morning. Make us feel like perverts. Do you wait until Lauren and I leave the room? They probably go to the bathroom. Heck yeah. No. Never say this stuff in front of you guys. Oh, Jay, Woods doesn't realize Jay's standing behind us. And he goes, and I say to Woods, I go, I'm going to the crack den. And Woods goes, yeah, let's go.
And I did, and I noticed now that Jay's standing behind, and he goes, when do you want to go? Woods is like, when do you want to go? And I go, like, hey, hey, hey, hey. And Woods turns around, and Jay's like, oh, see y'all are going to McDonald's, huh? Yeah. Fat. Oh, imagine that. Super duper fly hole. Woods likes to eat inside the McDonald's, which makes me feel like a pervert. Makes me feel like we're in an Asian tan. You guys were flipping a coin to see whether you would eat in or out. Stop it, you guys. Mikey flipped the coin. It went up in the air. It went in his mouth. It went in his mouth. He had to spit it out. Without question. Without question. The worst coin flipper in the United States of America. There is no question. There's no question. Oh, my God. I feel that. I feel it, I feel it. He's so excited to see the coin flip. Mouth wide open. His coin flip is like a knuckleball. He goes straight up in the air and he comes straight down. I can't do it. There's no rotation. I can't do it. Let's play Name That Tune. 570-1949. What's the theme, Jay? It's my birthday. It sounds about being perfect. Yes. It's birthday songs. 570-1949.

How did it? How are we not all prepared for that one? I was prepared. Some of us were. That's why I screamed. Dang it. Here we go. Woods. Is it Bjork? I'll give it to you. It's really the sugar cubes. The sugar cubes. Same thing. It's Bjork. She was the singer. Yeah. Feast. Here we go. Someone say their names for this stuff. Lauren. Lauren. Go ahead. Fucking Molly. Yes. What?
It's so easy. Is it Weird Al? I almost said that. Oh, man. I almost said that. This would have been a great guess. Dang it. He was in town last week. That's right. It's fair. Must miss. Here we go. It's about my birthday. Avril Lavigne. There you go. Wow. Is that song about a birthday? Or is it just saying you're so beautiful? I'm so beautiful. It's my birthday. Oh, my. Wait a minute. My. Oh my gosh. It's songs not about a birthday? No. It's just about being beautiful. Love you. Christina Aguilera is going to be next. He's like, well, I was looking for songs and I was like, well, this is definitely about me. So it's about Jay's birthday. About Jay's birthday. Yeah, if it was your birthday, I couldn't have put that one in there. Wouldn't have made sense. I would have played the Fat Boys. Yeah, I'd have played the Fat Boys.
You just call them the boys. It'll be Mike and the boys. Here we go. Mikey. Mikey. Maroon 5. Oh, no. It's your birthday. God bless you this day. Michael Jackson? Hey, look at you. That's right. It was Michael Johnson. Oh, no. Hi, Michael. Hi, Sienna. What are you doing? I miss you. Oh, man. Everybody but Wuz does. Do you have to sneeze? So true. What? Do you have to sneeze? Yeah, I'll sneeze for you. Yes, please. Bless you. Bless you. Oh, you made it go away. Come on. Bless you. I love it, Michael. Thank you. Feel better. It's the best. Here we go. Sienna. Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga. Isolate. It's an honor of Jay's birthday. I said it like that. Yeah.
What? Mikey! Oh, gosh! CCR. No! Dang it! Dang it! Split second, pal. Split second. I hate that split second. I hate it. Split second will get you. I hate it. Get you! Here we go. Mikey! Dang it! That is Dido. No! J has to call on you. J has to call on you. Stop thrusting Woods. What's he know? What did you know? I was in there. The score is Mike negative one. Lauren is at zero. Woods is at four. I have two. Here we go. Celine Dion. Did you get called on? I did. He did. I did. He did call on him. Mike's now at zero. Don't worry. I accept. You're apologetic. We need buzzers with lights on. Yes, we do. I need a bigger mouth. And a siren. Yeah, a siren. Every time. What did you say there, Lauren? Shut up. Isolate that Lauren just said that. We have to search him and search him. She said, she need a bigger mouth. For what? For what? Free of answer. It's my birthday.
We drop pictures. Here we go. I have surgery. Here we go. What? They're carpenters. Guys, what? I'm so angry at you. I want to just trip him. Shut your mouth. I want to put duct tape around him. I want to get digital floss and string it by and have him walk by. All right, we got two more. What's the score? Mike and Lauren, zero. Woods, five. Sienna, two. These next two are five-pointers. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Mikey. Oh, BS. Mikey. Elton John. You did it before the clip even played. I know. How'd you do that? I am doing this, man. I'm doing this bit. Oh, you're doing that bit. I'm doing that bit. You cheater. It's fine with me. He is still tied with Woods. Here we go. Woods. Mikey. Dang it. Pointer sisters. You got it. Stop. Stop. Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! Dang it! He's aggressively thrusting. He's slapping. He's aggressively slapping. I'm so upset. That's a cheating method, both of you. Well, you can screw yourself if you don't. Yeah, you can. If you don't know it. Hey, but it can deduct points from you. Can it? Only time you pull that gun out is when you've got to make a comeback.
Or if you need to seal the deal. Okay. I'm so upset at Woods that I better cancel my workout today. What else is new? M1. M1, Mikey. Are you there? I'm here. Woods, one for you. Thank you, Woods. You bet, buddy. Domination. That's funny. I even have, I play this game at home. I make Matt play songs on the guitar. No, you don't. Yes. She's practicing. I try to practice. She is so competitive. I know that if Woods were there, he would get it. Because Matt's so impressed with how quickly I get it. I'm like, man, if Woods were here. Let me just say this. Matt's so impressed. I have to say this. I have to say this. No doubt about it. Lauren and Woods are the two most competitive on our show. There's no doubt. The rest of us are competitive, but Lauren and Woods want to stab each other. They're jumping up and down and screaming. And he wins way more often than I do. So think about this, Sienna. Think about if they didn't have an FCC filter. That's number one. And then think about this. Then think about this. Think if you added alcohol. Oh, my gosh. We'd be in jail. They'd be in jail. If you guys came to my house.
And I gave you a glass of wine and you a beer and we played this. I don't want to be there. I don't want to be there. You hide your kids, dude. And I guarantee it would carry over into the, like, they'd be back here on Monday and they'd be arguing about it. Oh, yeah. Before we went on the air. Oh, yeah. They'd be like. Are you serious with that one? Like, you're not being for real, are you? Skarsen's not a name, okay? Skarsen is not a name. Skarsen. I have a niece named Skarsen. Oh, it's a made-up name. Skarsen's sister name. Skarsen, yeah, that's pretty. So, I'm sure that this is going to upset a lot of libs, but hey. Just listen to it. John McCain on the fires that have been set in Arizona. You have a slow connection or Internet ever slow? Let's take it to the house. Just go get some coffee. You know what? I can't work out today because of this. This is nuts. This is a bad day. Well, we are concerned about particularly areas down on the border where there is substantial evidence that some of these fires are caused by.
People who have crossed our border illegally. They have set fires because they want to signal others. They have set fires to keep warm. And they have set fires in order to divert law enforcement. It's true. So says John McCain. Well, they do that. So says John McCain. Well, but we know they do that. Do we? Yeah. Well, yeah. We do? Well, yeah, because the Border Patrol have found evidence that that's what they'll do. So these fires are direct. correlation to that but that's what john mccain's saying i know he's saying hey you know they're out there setting fires and they do it they're they're not arsonists they're not arsonists but you know they're keeping warm they're letting other you know illegals know where they are they're trying to throw law enforcement off you know setting a fire here but going there i don't know just probably just shoot them oh gosh you know just cap them no we should just open the border
They weren't lucky enough to be born here. We should just kill them. You know what I mean? You know what? We should just blow up and take down all the fences then. We should just kill them. We're not free to move to any country we want. We should get the gallows up there and just line them up. We can't go wherever we want. We can't stay. We can go anywhere we want. We can go. Yeah, we can't stay. Can't go to Mexico. In fact, Mexico's illegal immigration laws are tougher than ours. Much. Much tougher. We should move down there. Because it's badass. Hey, listen. All I'm saying. Give us your tired, your hungry. Dude, come on now. I mean, in the spirit that that was started. Kid's a humanist. Okay. I'm in on human beings. Human life. We were talking about this. You know, Woodsy, he's got a strong thing about immigration. He feels like, you know, it's not fair. Yeah, I think they should, there should be.
You can't open the borders and have a free-for-all. Oh, you can't? No, dude, you can't. Why? What? Just like you can't legalize all drugs. You know what I mean? Just fun ones. Just fun ones. Just a good one. Now you're getting it. You can't legalize all drugs. Just like you can't open the borders. But you got to do something. I don't have the answer. I'm just an idiot on the radio. We have a process that you follow. A legal process. Crystal Harris. Went to high school with our very own Sienna. She did. La Jolla High. She's 26. 25. She was going to marry Hugh Hefner, who is 90. Okay, 85. Same age as Jay. Yeah. And here she is. Describe your relationship with Hef. My relationship with Hef was not. We both like the same things. Soup. Talking. Talking. Not talking. I came to my friends to snowboard in Colorado, and then...
In the winter and then in the summer. I explained to him what a snowboard was. And what Colorado is. He'd forgotten. I went four days to Idaho to visit my sister the first year. And then the second year, I asked if I could go with my friends again. Why were you asking? Apparently he was like a dictator. Yeah. Like a dad. Or like a grandpa. Or like a great, great, great, great, great. Great. Great. Great. Great. And I got told no. And I just... And he grounded me and I was like, you know, if we're going to get married, you can't ground me that long. It was a spanking, but not the good kind of spanking. Not the good one. It's a bad one. Like the one you were talking about earlier, Mike. He slapped me across the mouth. It was like a Target spanking. Yeah. I just felt my world just kind of closing. So that was the other thing. We went to Target and I was sitting in the basket and... And he did this thing where I dropped my sippy and I was like, where is it? And he. Oh, my gosh. And that's when I just started realizing it wasn't for me. And, you know, I realized, oh, my gosh, you know, he's 85 and I'm not, you know. And then I was like, oh, my goodness, you know, he saw the invention of the submarine. He knows who Richard Nixon is.
Like, he met him. And I thought, oh, I don't, you know. He's met, actually, he has met 14 presidents. I've never met any. It was at the moment that my grandfather called him sir. At that moment, I realized, oh, this is different. This is so strange. You know, when we met, he... He asked me how old I was and I put my hands up and I said, I'm this man. It's half sway, you know, or no way, so. Oh, that's, you forgot. It was the highway. How does that? It's half sway or nothing happens. What is it? The what? The freeway. It's Heft's Way or the Freeway. The Thruway. It's Heft's Way or the Thruway. Or the 5 North? Or the train. Heft's Way or the train. Or the coaster. Yeah, the coaster, the Amtrak. I think you get it. Rollerblades. You know what I mean. Speaking of spanking, an Iowa principal has quit, and we're going to tell you why. It has to do with spanking, and we'll tell you all about it when we come back. Um, I'm sorry about this. I didn't mean to hit the call button, but since you're here, could I get an ice cold Coke, please? Oops, sorry. My subconscious is very thirsty. No worries. I'm going to tell you about this Iowa principal here in just a second. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Sad story. A 75-year-old woman from San Diego was walking to her yard to get the newspaper.
When she was attacked by her neighbor's two pit bulls, she now is facing possible amputation of a second limb. She had a badly mauled leg and arm. If you have dangerous dogs, keep them inside. They're going to be put down. Also, Representative Gabrielle Giffords traveled to Tucson to spend Father's Day weekend with her family, which is her first trip home since the incident happened in Tucson. Happy Father's Day. Happy Father's Day, pal. She flew by a private plane, you know, living the life with her husband. She didn't take a space shuttle over there? Really? But her husband was with her on the private plane. They had a lovely time. Nice of them to step up to the plane. Must be nuts. Woodsy, what's going on at sports? Well, I told you a little bit earlier. Rory McIlroy set an U.S. Open record, man. He was 16 under. He won the Open. It's his first major championship, and it's just really cool to see a little young Irishman take that thing home. It was pretty rad. And also, the Padres got swept in Minnesota. They are going to Boston now, and they are going to be taking on the Red Sox starting today. Andrew Miller against Wade LeBlanc.
Sienna, tell me about the Iowa principal that had to quit. Oh my gosh, this elementary school principal in eastern Iowa just admitted on Friday night to spanking students on their birthday. He would call them into his office. He had a special spanking paddle and would give them birthday spankings. Okay, now before we all freak out that dude's a pervert, I guess there's no two ways about it. No. The Mount Vernon police investigated and found no wrongdoing. Our music teacher used to pinch us. She would say a pinch to grow an inch. Pinch us. It's kind of fun. That's a little different than calling somebody in your office to spank them. Do you think that he was... Well, first of all, I want to know what this looked like, what it was like. There's a picture of the paddle. Was there a bunch of people around? He didn't hurt them, I'm sure. No, no. It was all for fun.
And there was probably, was there people around? That's what I want to know. If it was a big to-do, like, hey, it's your birthday, come on in. Yeah, and like all the, you know, people are there. If he called you into his office and shut the door and cranked Rush, it's weird. It's really, really weird. You're like, no, no. You go in there, he shuts the door, closes the blinds. Hey, birthday boy. Hey, birthday boy. Jay's voice just naturally came out. I don't know why. Hey, birthday boy. I think spankers are a good idea. It's your birthday. You know, dude, give me my paddle off. The bun that's shaped like buns. I've got a gift for you. It's a special package. Isn't that what Principal Gum did back in the day? Absolutely. Just get him on the line. You got him? Hey, Principal Gum. Oh, hey, is this Woods? It's Woods, how are you? Hey, hey, Woods, how are you? I'm all right, how are you? I'm doing good right now. Were you living in a van or? I'm living in a van and, you know, I was trying to help a neighbor move the other day and somebody ran up and they were like, don't do it, don't do it. And I was like, you know, sometimes people really do need help. It's not always the same bit, you know. How have you been? Since getting fired, you mean?
Yeah, well, we were talking about this principal in Iowa that was spanking elementary schoolers, and we were all saying how you used to do that. I used to do it, and people thought it was weird. So they formed practically like a mob. And I said, what's the problem? And they were like, why would you bring high school students into your office and spank them like that? And I was like, well, it's clearly a joke. Oh, wow. You are still a giant creep. Oh, you're laughing weirdly. It makes me laugh even now. Oh, boy. Still a giant creep. Yeah, well, one man's creep, another man's terrible. Bye. Bye. Principal Gum. He's still listening to the same music. Still just cranking that same old wild horse. Goodbye horses. Goodbye horses. Cue Lazarus. Oh, it's the creepiest. Yeah, if there was a bunch of people standing around. But if he did that in his office privately, that's creepy no matter what. Let's see. You know what we were talking about the other day? We were throwing around ideas.
We realized that we either knew someone or us ourselves that were hurt at concert. Now, there's always the reason most of the time is because when you mix alcohol and rock and roll, a lot of times stupid things happen. But we were talking about it and we know a lot of people like Sienna. Didn't you know somebody that messed up their elbow or who was it? My brother messed up his knee. He was in the mosh pit, and he looked down, and his kneecap was on the side of his leg. Oh, my gosh. What show was he at? Do you know? I don't remember. He was in college. Holy cow. Oh, my gosh. Celine Dion. There's people going on. Yeah, I don't know. Something crazy, I'm sure. Well, who was it? I read it. I read it on 94.9's Facebook. Amanda from Big Sonic Chill interviewed Peter Murphy. Right. And this girl wrote in and said, oh, my God, I love Peter Murphy. I was at his concert and I ran up to the stage because I wanted to dance to his big hit was Cuts You Up. Yeah. And she wanted to dance. And I guess she fell and she shattered her elbow, like shattered it into pieces. Oh, my God. So she's like, every time I hear that song, I'm like, oh, cuts you up real good. In that case, you almost hope she had a couple of pops. Yeah, for sure.
I had a knife pulled on me at a concert one time at the Colt in Dallas. This guy was arguing with this other guy, and we were like, whoa, whoa, take it easy, fellas. And the guy pulls a switchblade out. Oh, my. Yeah, we were. Breaking up fights is a bad idea. It really is. It seems very noble. It does, but it's bad. But you can get. You get jacked. Yeah. I have a friend named Tim that got shanked at a Slayer concert in the mosh pit. Doesn't know who did it because there was a bunch of people in there. Oh, my God. And the guy just went. When was the last time you were in a mosh pit? Were you ever in one? Yes. Yeah. I feel real uncomfortable because I feel like I'm being fake aggressive. Oh, I didn't feel fake aggressive. I feel like I'm fake aggressive. Like, yeah. Oh, God, I hate this. I hate this. Yeah. Yeah. It's the worst. I've never been in one. I didn't like it. I don't like it. I didn't like it. I don't like it either. Has anybody been jacked?
up at a concert, 570-1949, like you got hurt there. It's all fun and games, until something happens. Yeah, and it doesn't even have to be a concert. It could be one of those situations where it's like, yeah, you're having fun, and then... Yeah, my dad punctured a lung playing pick-up football with his brothers. Oh. Supposed to be out doing an errand for my mom. Are you serious? Yeah. She was, like, refusing to go to the hospital to see him. Until she found out that he had a punctured lung and almost died. So how did it get punctured? Broken rib into the lung. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Pick up game with your brothers. Hey, guys, take it easy. Yeah. It's just a little fun, man. Easy, right, Lewis? Yeah. Not like, you don't have to tackle me like that. You don't have to sack me. You don't have to form tackling me. M1 Henry from San Diego. Hello. Wait a minute. Hi, Henry. My name's Henry. I went to go see Cannibal Corpse about 10 years ago. Oh, wow. You did see Cannibal Corpse. That's another band that Tim's into, by the way. Same guy that was at the Slayer concert got shanked. Cannibal Corpse. He's a big player. And some guy got mad because I had elbowed him. And I'm not a big dude. And I guess he got mad at me. And he tried to ram me with his head in the back. So we ended up getting into a head-butting concert. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Who won?
I did. Me and my pal ended up dragging him out of the pit, and I ended up buying him a shot, and then we took him to the ER because he got a concussion. Oh, my gosh. Now, Cannibal Corpse is, for those of you that don't know, they're acoustic folk. Yeah, acoustic folk band. Acoustic folk band. Yeah. Oh, yeah, completely mellow. Yeah, it's like being at a Judy Collins show. Right. Did they do Bring in the Clowns? They brought in something. Yeah, concussion. Cannibal Corpse. Thank you, Henry. You're welcome. It's Hendry. Hendry. Wow. M1 Short Stack from San Diego. Hi, guys. I went crowd surfing, and they dropped me. It was horrible. I felt like I dislocated my shoulder. I could not move my shoulder for about a good week, and my shoulder was just completely purple. Yeah, because it's cement. Crowd surfing looks like so much fun. It does. I was with a bunch of friends, and they were all doing it. I was like, that looks like fun. They're like, yeah, just trying to throw me up there. I was like, yeah, and then I just... I've seen dudes jump off stage into cement. I've done it. I did it at my friend Andy Worley played this banquet. And I jumped on stage. Hammered. Hammered.
Dove into the crowd and nobody caught me. Oh my God. They didn't want to die. On the ballroom floor. I don't need to laugh. Flat on the ballroom floor. It was like, yeah. Did you hurt the next day? Yeah, I hurt. The wind knocked out of you? I was 19, so nothing hurts you when you're that young. You're bulletproof. You are. You're bulletproof. At that age you feel like it doesn't matter. Let's see. M1 Robinson, is that right? Is there a Roby One? That's me. From San Diego. What happened? We were up in Santa Barbara at a guttermouth show, and a buddy of mine walks up to me, and half his face is covered in blood. In the mosh pit, someone had thrown him into a guardrail. Oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow, oh, wow. You could actually see the skull. He just looks at me, man. He goes, some guy threw me into a pole. Buy me a shot. Oh, my gosh. This is awesome. This is awesome. He got 17 stitches in his face. Wow, dude. Thank you. I just remembered one. This was back when I still drank, but it wasn't me. But we were all out partying. And we went back to my buddy's house who lived in Scripps Ranch. And it was 3 o'clock in the morning. We were all hammered.
and my brother was with us, and my friend Jim was taking out his hide-a-bed for my brother. And when you grab onto the deal in the middle of the mattress, you take all the cushions off, then you grab the bar, and you pull it out. So he pulls it out, and it only comes out halfway, and it's jammed, and it's stuck. Oh, gosh. And so we have the light on in the room, and we're looking under there, and we can't see anything. You know, there's like four dudes in there. So everybody's like, it's this, it's this. And everybody's saying what the problem is. So Jim figures that the problem is that one of the springs is jammed. So he puts his left hand down in there and he's pulling and he's pulling and he's pulling. If you're pulling on something and it's not giving, there's a reason it isn't giving. The answer is not to continue to pull with all of your might. But he did. And the spring broke. Oh, gosh. And it went right into his finger. The spring broke and twisted right into his finger. Now, here was the bad part. Your grundle hurt? Yep. The bad part was that we all heard it go, we all heard it. And he was drunk, but still went, oh, oh, oh, oh. And we all thought, it's not going to be that bad.
It won't be as bad as he's acting. And it was worse. And so the worst part of it was he couldn't get it off. And he refused to let us call 911 because we were like, dude, it was 10 minutes. I'm talking real time. No exaggeration. I don't want to say it was a half an hour. It was about 10 minutes of us arguing with him, trying to get this thing out. And it wasn't coming loose. And we were having a blast five minutes before this happened. And finally, I don't remember who, but somebody said, I'm calling 911. And they picked up his cordless phone and they pressed the nine and he went and just ripped it. He didn't want us to call 911. And so he was like, don't call, don't call. And finally, the guy's like, I'm calling. And he pressed nine and he ripped it. I feel weak.
It looked like someone had performed surgery in that room. It looked like a crime scene. We wrapped him up in a towel and we had to take him to the ER. And they looked at it and they were like, well, we can stitch it, but it's not going to look good. When this heals, it isn't going to look good. Because you shredded it. Shredded? Like if you'd put it into some sort of combine or something. Nurse, all we have to work with here is a lot of shredded flesh. What are we going to do? I guess we'll just try to piece it back together. M1, all caps from IB, has a Slipknot story. Weird. Oh, yeah. I can't imagine anything would go wrong at a Slipknot concert. I'm happy you're thinking about that. Now, I looked at the mosh pit, and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, I feel like an elbow right straight to my face.
like across my face into my nose. I almost faded, but, you know, I kind of like, you know, stumbled around and then I started looking at everybody and everybody started looking at me like, well, and I felt something worn on my lip, my upper lip. So when I touched my lip, I see all this blood, all these blood coming down on my shirt. I was like, oh my God. Everybody was like, are you okay? Are you good? Yeah, yeah, sure, no problem. And then afterwards, like, everybody just turned around and kept on watching the show. Of course. Oh, yeah. Elbows will... These are razor blades right here. Oh, yeah. These are sharp. Elbows and knees. Elbows and knees can get you. You're supposed to use your elbow in self-defense. Oh, gosh. Darn. Sienna, we got a text that is asking you because Sienna is our resident... She's our resident, like, fashion... Oh, God. Fashion police. Fashion police. I'm not. Fashion Nazi. Gestapo. Gestapo.
Hey, Sienna, what do you think about cowboy boots on men? That's all it says? That's all it says. Somebody's itching for some cowboy boots. And by the way, they didn't put their name. I love cowboy boots, honestly. I think it just depends on you, though. And I think if you're someone and you really want them, you know, and you're confident in wearing them, you're going to look awesome. What if you're fat? If you're fat, you probably shouldn't wear them. That's the only exception, I think. But you know what? If you're fat, you have to be able to carry them. You know. How dare you, L.O.B. I know what that laugh means.
You know if you're the type of person that can pull things off, though, you know? And unfortunately, like, the more of the heavier people have a hard time pulling things off. It's funny because he's fat. Skinny people can wear whatever they want. It's true. It's true. It's true. It's not fair. Just picture a potato with a cowboy hat on, toothpicks for legs, with little boots. Little boots. Mr. Potato Head. Little boots. Little boots. Get California Raisin. Get the cowboy boots, though. They're rad. I'm actually debating. They're not the pointy Bad Blake cowboy boots. They're more rounded. I like those. They're called Red Wings, and I'm getting them. I had them in college, and they're... Are they cowboy? I'll show you at the break. He basically has cowboy boots. Well, that sounds like work boots. You're describing work boots. Those are short. These come up to about here. The boots that you wear that are short, I love. Yeah, they're great. With jeans, I love that look. So many uses here in sunny California. Do you remember the boots I had? No. When I was thinner, people loved them. I don't remember that. Well, I don't have the bravery to wear them at this point. How long ago was that? I can't remember. I'm old. I can't remember that. Talking about what, 79?
I'm a century old and I haven't seen it. Third grade, man? You had cowboy boots in third grade? I've known you, what, 18, 19 years. Never seen you wear no cowboy boots? Well, I don't remember you being thin. When was that? Mike? Compared to what? Compared to what? Yeah, Mike. Can you do me a favor? What is your definition of the word thin? Hey, Mr. Fact. checker. Pull up your Webster dictionary. Tell me what the definition of thin is. Yeah, fat checker. Fat checker. Easy, Webster. What does it mean? Because ever since I've known you to be. Oh, that hole is big. People describe me as thin and we ain't even in the same ballpark. Ain't in the same league. We couldn't fit in the same ballpark. You wouldn't be able to come in if I was in. I wouldn't fit if you were already in the ballpark. Because you'd be too chubby. You'd be taking up too much room. Yeah, like if you... Capacity at Petco, 48,000. Less you're there, man. That's 16. Yeah, 15 others can sit and watch a comfortable game.
They say, did you sit behind home plate? Yeah, he's the only one. Well, Mike must be at the game tonight. Paid attendance. 16. Full house. Full house. Literally filled the house. Fill a house. Fill my house. Today's Jay's birthday. His wife brought him cookies, and he opened the door, and he looks right at me and Woods, and he goes, There's cookies out here. How quick did Woods get up? Broken foot or not? I gotta get some cookies. Mikey, you want one? So cruel. So cowboy boots are okay? Not, Mike, for you because it won't look good with your Tommy Bahama shirt. You can't wear cowboy boots in Tommy Bahama. Right. When is it my birthday? Jake couldn't call him off either.
Only Woods. Yeah, he could. No. No. He'd look like a clown. He would. He'd look like a clown. Only Woods, because he's from Texas. That's right. He's from Texas as well. He doesn't claim it. Oh, stuff's falling apart. What did you do? The TV and everything fell off in here. You threw a fit, because he's from Texas. I'm from Texas, too. I can wear boots. I'm from Texas. Sealed skins. Oh, my gosh. Jake could wear them with the right look. He wears, like, surfer shorts. I know. Him in jeans is weird. He wears shorts every day. What about girls in cowboy boots? Cute. So cute. With the skirt. Sundress with the boots. Oh, it's so cute. As long as it's just boots. His wife is in the other room. Eight-year-old. Eight-year-old son.
Maybe a hat and a whip. Okay. Sorry. Sorry. You catch that, son? Later on, I'm going to make a gag ball joke. Just hang tight. Daddy's about to make a perverted joke. Our viewpoint hasn't changed in nearly 140 years because right outside our window is a stunning view of the Rockies, the only place legendary Coors Banquet beer has ever been brewed. Banquet is made with only Rocky Mountain water and the best high country barley for that smooth, full-flavored taste. Been doing it that way since 1873.
And like the mountains themselves, that's not about to change. If your views are anything like ours, then you know a good thing when you see it. It's in that cold banquet bottle right there on the bar. The banquet beer. Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado. Coors Banquet believes with great beer comes great responsibility. When did it become okay to make products designed to be used once and then thrown away? When did everybody come to accept the idea that a thousand disposable products were just as good as a single one built to last? When did quantity replace quality? At Jeep, we believe that every new Grand Cherokee that rolls off our line should last. And so we made it that way. From the hand-stitched leather on the steering wheel to the 5,400 welds in the body, every part of this car has been designed, engineered, and built to last. That's what we believe at Jeep. The things we make.

Babies will do everything they can to keep you from sleeping. And they'll do this for well over a year. They'll throw up on your sweater, in your hair, and all over your car. They'll not only poop in their pants, they'll poop on your pants. They'll pull your hair and quite literally bite the hand that feeds them. They will talk nonstop between the ages of 6 and 9, but they won't say a single word to you once they turn 13. And when they do, it'll likely involve disagreeing at rather high volumes. Still, you will love them like nothing else. And you will do anything and everything you can to keep them happy and healthy. And so will we. I'll buy it when it comes out. I just like action stuff. I don't know. You'd probably like it. Would you ever watch it again? Yeah. That's the deal. Yeah, I would.
I think it's fun. You know what's out on HBO now? What? Inception. You're not going to watch it. I recorded it. I'm going to watch it. You'll turn it off. My prediction. You'll turn it off. You'll get irritated and you'll turn it off. So how long? 30 minutes? Yeah, probably. Probably. Probably. You probably will. I couldn't pay you to come watch it. Think about that for a moment. You literally couldn't. Literally couldn't pay him. Literally couldn't pay him. I think I had something to do. No. Yeah. Eat. Buy something. App. Wow. I think one of your buddies was in town. J. Rose. J. Rose. But his fake friend J. Rose. He lives in L.A. Just make up a name for a friend that always comes around when you can't hang with me. Make a Facebook profile. Make a Facebook profile for J. Rose. You want to meet this guy? J. period Rose. I can't, dude.
J. Rose, bro. It's J. Rose. He's in the hospital. I gotta go visit. Woods, you always say that whenever you don't want to do something. Dude, look. My hands are tied. You can't help when he comes into town. I can't help it, dude. My hands are tied. I want to, but J. Rose. Maki, you know I got your back, bro, but J. Rose. He was the guitar player in Gypsy Rose, pal. Doesn't exist, you know? He just makes it up. Oh, he's the namesake. Yes. His last name was Rhodes. Oh, now it's Rhodes? It's always been Rhodes. I thought it was Rhodes. He says Rhodes. He's Zanny the nanny. Doesn't exist. He says it because he's a clown. Hey, Woods, you want to come over tonight and help me babysit the kids? Dude, J. Rhodes. J. Rhodes. The funny thing is he would go if you asked him to babysit. Oh, yeah. Not for a movie. If you said, hey, come watch the boys with me. I'd be all the way in. Love your kids. You know that. What is your problem with Inception? We're having this out.
The dream bit. What does that mean? Hold on. I'll tell you. Okay. You know a lot of people really like the TV show Lost. Yeah. Right? It was very heady. And there was also a lot of stuff in Lost where you had to like, there were a lot of metaphors and symbolism. I don't like that. I like gritty drama. Okay? So with Inception, I watched 10 minutes of it with you. And I'm like, you're like, no, Woods, you don't understand. They're dreaming right now. I'm like, how the hell am I supposed to know this? Did we watch 10 minutes? We watched like 10 minutes of it, and then I had to run. J. Rose was at my house. I had to go. Did we watch? We did. Somebody died. Did you dream it? See, exactly. See, you only think that we watched it. And the only reason you think that we watched it is because
We had a good architect, somebody that was able to get into your dream and into your mind and convince you, Woods, that we were in fact watching it, but we weren't. You see, you were a part of my reality. And your subconscious recognized me and started to fight like white blood cells. We weren't watching it. In fact, I was home eating Burger King. You were home. Wiener time. It's great, man. And it's really good. We'll see. I bought it on Blu-ray the day it came out. Me too. I still haven't watched it. It's just a lot of work. It's a lot of work. It seems like a lot of work. I just want to watch a movie. I have an idea. I feel like I'm going to have to do this. Homework. I have an idea. I'm going to time myself. I get 30 seconds. That's it. I get 30 seconds to talk you into it. Okay. Anybody listening right now that's never seen Inception, this is going to be hard.
But I'm going to give it a try. Just move past that, Mike. Just ignore it. Keep going. You got this. 30 seconds. It involves high... High stakes espionage, but espionage at a level that is so weird and so different that you've never heard of it before. Kind of espionage that means that you can literally go into someone's dream and convince them of something else. But this is very difficult. In fact, it's never been done. It's only a theory called inception. In order to do it, you need to use drugs that will take people into a very, very deep level of sleep. And if you're able to do this, if all the elements come together at once and you're able to do it, you have to be careful because you yourself could be locked into it and die. 30 seconds exactly. Didn't get you though. I could tell you thought. You summarized it. I heard espionage and I was out. It was like the third word you said. He's so disappointed. He's so disappointed. After you said espionage, I fell asleep. My eyes were open. They just glazed over. I felt for you there, Mike. Well, it's like if somebody were trying to talk me into like Mac makeup, you know. And I just can't. You know, I can't. I can't. I can.
You're not interested. That's the deal. I'm never going to convince you that's interesting. I have it recorded on the DVR. Sometimes I have trouble falling asleep. Maybe I throw that on. Good idea. I'll try that tonight. It'll be my nap movie. It'll take me a year, but I'll get through it eventually. Yes or no? True or false? Isn't Underworlds that you have no knowledge of? really interesting to you no he likes things that can happen in real life oh yeah i love but don't you think that in real life there are things that we don't have any idea about no you don't know you think we know everything we know pretty much everything we know all the big stuff we know listen we know everything that i care about that i'm in on we know it all okay i'm in on robberies i'm what movies about robberies like heat yeah
OK, I'm in on the mafia. That's what this is. This is a crime. You see, you like crime. I'm a little bit more in now. I'm a little bit more in. You got me. Check it out. Leo DiCaprio is committing a crime. And so he's hired by an extremely rich guy. He says, I work for this company and I want to take that company over. But in order to do it, you got to get his son, the CEO of that company, to be convinced he doesn't like his father anymore. And it's almost impossible because he likes his father. Okay, I think I'm kind of in. I'm kind of in a little bit more. And he goes, okay, it's going to cost you a lot. It's going to cost you a lot of money. And so he goes to this guy who I'm convinced is autistic. And he says to the guy, I'm kind of thinking about doing this thing. And as he starts to explain it to him, the guy goes, wait, wait, wait. Are you talking about Inception? And he goes, yeah. He goes, it can't be done. It's impossible. It's theoretical. And he goes, I think it can.
And he goes, well, even if it could, you don't have the drugs to do it. You need really super high-powered drugs. And he says, I know a chemist in India. They go and see this chemist. And the guy's like, I can show you what I can do and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And he's convinced that they can do it. But here's the best part of it to me. In order to get into your dream, they have to have a really like MIT smart. person with an extraordinary imagination who, while you're dreaming, creates all that you see. Which is hard to do. Involves a lot of detail. You just lost me. Really? Yep. That lost me. That's where it went, Sal. That's where you got me. See, and that's my favorite part. That's where you got me. I'm in on the crime. I'm in on the convincing. Last part. Last part. Last part. And if you say no, okay, fine. He goes like this. He goes, no. Yes. I will not. You will. I'll come in there. Dang it.
I'm being forced to do this. I'm going to tell you on the break and then I'll tell everybody else. Let me see if I get you. Mind if I sit down? Mikey. Seriously, dude? Call Mikey now. 570-1949. And? are always afraid of me. On FM 94.9. Tonight's 8 o'clock album is the Bell Brigade. It's their self-titled album. Santa just gave me a thing from Match.com and it's signs that a dude will be a good dad and I'm looking at it and I'm like, oh, well, these signs say I would not have been a good dad and I wouldn't have, but I got it through my head that I was going to be a good dad. But here's the signs that he'll be a good dad. Number one, he treats his mother well. I didn't treat my mom exceptionally well. Well, I didn't treat her necessarily bad. I just didn't really treat her. I just didn't really treat her. I was just absent. Absentee. Number two, he's selfless. Wrong. Most completely selfish. Woods said check on the first one and stayed quiet on the second one. I'm a dummy.
Number three, he's not easily grossed out. Now, not only was I not easily grossed out, I thought gross stuff was great. So I'm okay with one. I'm not easily grossed out. When it comes to female stuff. Yes, that I am. In fact, I wish I'd get the DeLorean up to 88 right now. Because you just said that. That is the thing. That's my kryptonite. That's my kryptonite. Period. What's he? Why did you say that? What's he? What's he comma Steven? Menstrual. Don't. Stop it. Maxi pad. Stop. Tampon? Tampon. Vagisil. That doesn't even, first of all, it doesn't even have any, he is just, he's the weird friend. Like when you were a kid. Yeah. When you were seven, Jay was the weird one. All right. So one of these.
I qualify for a sign that I would have been a good dad the other two. I'm the same. Two out of three, no. All right, number four, he's a great uncle. I was not a great uncle. I was a nothing uncle. Jay is a great, great uncle to many. Somebody can dish. Woods, you're a great uncle. Yes. So I will say you are now. Two out of four. 50%. The next one is, he doesn't mind taking direction from his partner. If a man resents being told what to do, it says. What man doesn't? I don't. Every morning, Sienna goes, Mike, blah, blah, blah. And I go, okay. Yeah, but from your wife is different. My wife, hey, listen. I am, I think I could be very subservient.
Yeah, I mean, as long as it doesn't really, unless it's, like, really inconvenient for me. If my wife said, let's go running, it's not, you know. What about I do this? I'm a backseat driver. Oh, my God. Get. Get. You don't want to put your turns on? Yeah. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Save it for a whole nother day. Yeah. Oh, my God. That's a whole topic. That's a whole nother day. That's a whole topic. It's a day. It's a break. It's a 28-hour show. Because we should always be using our turn signals. Do it when you drive. When you drive, you're in charge of the turn signal. He's driving my car. Oh, zip it. Doesn't matter. He's driving. Oh, my God. Save it. You're Miss Daisy. Yes, you are. You're Miss Daisy. Well, hello, Governor. Yes. And then the last one is he likes ketchup. I hate ketchup. What? It's what it says. It says he understands the importance of blowing. The paper cover off of a straw, seeing if it'll reach across the table. In other words, he has a playful sense of fun. Check. Yes. Fart in my kid's face. All right, so six. Out of the six. Fart in my kid's face. Chances I light a fart for my son.
Was that your broken ankle that you just slammed against it? It was my metal. Just lifted up his leg and just got wet. And it's cast in the table. It's a boot. It's a boot. And it's a fake boot anyway. It's a fake. It's a borrowed boot. It's not borrowed. Yeah, he probably got it from Winder. He doesn't even have a broken name. Winder's boot. I wish I would have to take a picture of the boot. It's in my closet. Hey, Wood. When does Winder want his boot back? You want me to bring them both in tomorrow? Winder did a broken ankle recently. I'm going to bring him in. I'll bring him in. He has broken bones, not woods. He had a real broken ankle. That's right. Fake doctor, Dr. Sanji or whatever. Oh, let's call Dr. Seuss. Yeah. Good idea. Dr. Pepper. Put on the thing. He calls him every morning. You know that. Yeah, along with Dr. Donut. Dr. Doodle. Oh, wait. That's you. Dr. Doolittle. Let's see how many of those apply to Jaybird. Do you treat your mom well? Yes. You're not selfless, or are you? He's pretty selfless, dude. He's selfless. He is. Yeah, he is. All right, I'd give him that. He's perfect. He's freaking perfect. You easily grossed out? No. Tough. Are you a good uncle? Yes. Do you mind taking direction from your partner? I like it, Mike.
I love when Kim tells me what to do. She's sitting right here. I love it when she puts her stiletto in my ear. And stands up. Stands up. Maybe you don't get to ask her. Ow. Ow. My favorite. You know what I love when Kim does? When she puts on a pair. Timberlines and kicks me in the face. You don't like that? Jay, they're called Timberlands. Whatever. Timberlakes, whatever. Justin Timberlines. Hey, listen. I ain't trying to get over sexual here, Mike. But when my wife puts on a pair of steel-toed boots and kicks me in the face. Nice beaver. It's his birthday. He's allowed. I can do anything I want. It's my birthday. It's my birthday. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday to me. Happy birthday, dear Jay. Cuss, cuss, cuss. Sex, sex, sex. Wiener, wiener, wiener, wiener. Happy birthday to me. Beautiful to me. Boing. Leave it to beaver.
You should have given him 30 seconds this morning to do whatever you wanted with the drop. I'm glad that we didn't. Hello. there hillary how are you hi i'm great you guys did you have a good weekend i did i had a really good weekend how about you had a good weekend and it was father's day yeah just doing anything special for your hubby on father's day we did a lot for him we made him breakfast let him sleep in we went on a bike ride we um went swimming and then we took him to see a movie he has been dying to see what kung fu panda 2 was it good Yeah, it was fine. I slept. My daughter was happy. That's what, you know. We have a four-year-old. And then we barbecued. I overdid the pork chops. You barbecued pork chops? Yeah, but I put a cast iron skillet on the grill and then cooked them in there. Sounds good. Yeah, except I... Overdid it. A little tough. That's okay.
We went to the movie theater for the first time in probably three years to see that Super 8. I probably haven't been to the movie theater really in three years. How was it? I loved it. I really liked it. Cool. It was just fun to look at. It's kind of dumb, but it's fun. Really fun. It's a fun movie. Awesome. But anyway, so many people there to see that Green Lantern. I bet. Dude, it was packed in there. And I walked in to the restroom. Rebecca had to use the restroom. I had to use the restroom right when we got there. and I saw something so unusual. It made me think of Jay. Very close to that. It was very close to that. When you walk into the bathroom at the movie theater, there's a row of urinals, okay? And there was no one in there except for this one guy. And I don't know that I've ever seen this. He was standing a good two feet from the urinal. Was he a black guy? No. He was a short white guy, but he wanted me to know. Wow. He wanted me to know. And I was like, okay, great. You're well endowed. Wow. Like, seriously. Like, I wanted to go, I get it, dude. You have, you're a large guy. Even though you're a short guy. So far back. Yeah. I mean, seriously, the urinal's here, and he's like, here. Oh, my God. Lauren, what are you doing here? And I walked, Lauren, first of all, Lauren, first of all, that's inappropriate. It's the men's bathroom. It's the men's bathroom. You shouldn't even be in here.
Beat it. That's a strange thing to say and do. Guy's trying to go to the restroom. And I walked in and I was like, oh, man. And he was on his cell phone. No. Texting. Oh, God. Mike is holding his hand out. Looks like he's holding a fire hose. That's what he was doing. That's what he was doing. And I'm like... Where was this movie? Oh, sorry. I thought this was the woman's room. I thought it was the lady's room. Yeah, sign me up for that. L-O-B, there's no sign up for it. What do you have coming up next? Oh, my gosh. I grabbed the Black Crows and the new Coldplay. And also, we just announced a new About the Music Show. $6 in August. So I'm going to play the band that will be there and give you all the details and stuff. It's going to be good. Two feet. The lovely and talented Hillary is up next. We will see you again tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock. The Mikey Show's out. Yep. Media station. We have a standing agreement with the corporate office.
As long as they stay out of the music business, we'll be sure to stay out of the insurance business.
