For reasons unknown, President Obama refuses help from friendly foreign nations who wanted to help clean up the gulf. LOB continues her boycotting of BP oil used at certain gas stations. Mikey loves jumping on bandwagons. A new show idea about dads planting things in our heads that are untrue is aired. How many people live in San Diego and where is “Toilet Planet”? Jay’s friend who has a father in law who helps out financially raises a big discussion. Lauren is nervous about her first stand up gig in over six months. Lady Ga Ga struts around Yankee games in her underwear and flips the bird to Mets fans which angers “old man” Seinfeld. Lauren does an awesome Britany Spears impression. An email about sports bar bogarting sees the cast on the same page opinion-wise. Wheel of Voices takes on the World Cup with hilarious results. Obama won’t be renewing his subscription to Rolling Stone magazine anytime soon. Woods (and most likely thousands of 94/9 listeners) is repulsed when Mike drops the needle on some K-Fed music. Farting in public; yay or nay? The yays seem to have it as Jay admits he farts during work meetings and Woods crop-dusted an Ikea and does so just about everywhere he goes. Sienna is worried she’s going to let some fly because of her pregnancy. Sometimes teachers just don’t like certain kids which leads Mikey to pull the chubby card. Woods dropped an F-Bomb on a priest when he was little. Jay simply changed classes when a teacher didn’t like him, then again that was like back in 1945. Capes are due for a comeback, says Calvin Klein. Things a woman should stop doing once she hits age 30 is tailor made for LOB. Eskimo Bluewaters is an expert on copyright infringement. What can and cannot be trademarked? Team USA scores a game-winning GOOOOOAAAALLLL!! Sienna argues the results of Gender Pyramid. Many airlines may ban free peanuts and this rouses an angry Dave Matthews to bust out a passionate song that terrifies Mikey! Dave Matthews hasn’t had any weed in three days so he’s a little on edge. Names of school crushes is followed by wives who can’t cook very well inspires Jay to admit he wears the chef’s hat in his house. M1 shout outs have tips for a shy girl to meet people. Hilary loves angry Dave Matthew’s new song, “Better Not Ban My Penis”!

The show opened with Mikey sharing personal anecdotes about napping nude after a doctor's visit and his habit of leaving a trail of clothes when undressing. He then discussed a lingering 'dad's tale' about always buying gas from the same station, which he admitted is pointless but still follows. Later, the crew dissected Lady Gaga's controversial Yankees appearance, celebrated the USA's World Cup win over Algeria, played a lively Gender Pyramid game with listener Bailey, and heard Dave Matthews protest a potential peanut ban on planes, while Mikey recounted his mortifying accidental fart in front of his wife.

KBZT San Diego, Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of the Mikey Show, FM 94.9. So busy yesterday. I really was. I'm thinking about yesterday and I'm like, wow, a lot of stuff happening. We had to sign off the air yesterday at five minutes to ten because I had to take my dad to the doctor and stuff. And it seemed like the day was so long. I don't usually take naps. I was so sleepy when I got home yesterday from taking dad to the doctor that I don't remember laying down to take this nap. No way. You napped? Oh, I felt like it was like I passed out. Passed out. Fully clothed? No. Nude. Never fully clothed. Nude.
No. I see Mikey when he opens his front door just taking pieces of clothing off, just dropping them as he walks. There's a shoe, then a sock, then some pants, and a shirt at the top of the stairs. A little cubby trail. Yeah, the little cubby trail. By the time he hits the door to his bedroom, he's nude. I like in my own personal boudoir. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. In our bedroom, I like to be me. I think that's okay. You know what I mean? Yeah. My wife disagrees, you know. She says, you know, have some dignity, some taste, some class, you know, have some discretion. There's nannies running around. Yeah, that's outside this space of mine here. You still have a door. Do you lock the door? No. Oh, gosh.
No, I don't lock the door because I don't expect a nanny to come flying in the door and be like, hey, where's the peanut butter? Yeah, but there's an emergency. But Jake could and the nanny could be following. No, the nanny knows. Like it happened that one time. The nanny knows. That wasn't, you know, in that situation, I was in bed. I was upstairs in bed, but the door. Yeah, the door was closed. Jake came walking in and the teacher came in after him. Sienna, he can't. But the teacher didn't know anybody was in. The teacher should have known. But he can't lock the door because what about the people that he hires to fan him with the giant palm leaves while he's in the bed? They may need to run in real quick. They have to get in. 570-1949 is our number. Lauren always coughs. But only early in the morning. And then it's gone. I know. What is that? I don't know. I hate it. Like after this first break, you never cough. I know. I wonder what. First break only every day. Yeah. I have to turn off my mic. I wonder why. I don't know. The pipes need a little. Sometimes I have to do this. Like I'm starting an engine. You start smoking. Got to warm it up. Lemon face, lion face. Lemon face, lion face.
Tip of the tongue, teeth, and lips. Mm-hmm. Bumblebee, Bumblebee. Real quickly, I'm Mike. I'm the host of the show. Go by Mikey on the air. It's very sophomoric, but it's stuck. It works. Woodsy is our Padre scarf-wearing friend. Every day he wears this scarf. I love the scarf. I love the scarf. I mean, I like it, but every day. He's chewing the fringe off of it. Yeah, I chew the fringe off it, and we work on Mount Everest. Uh-huh. A nice treat. All right, well, then there you go. Lauren O'Brien is the blonde girl to my right, and she is not only our assistant producer, she is a comedian performing tonight at the Comedy Store. Isn't it a comedian? Comedienne. I don't know what the difference is. Are you into that? Are you into that bit? I don't know. Does it mean I'm female? Female. Comedienne. Comedienne. Do you prefer comedienne? You know she does. No, I didn't even know until now there was a difference. Yep. Comedienne. Let's see. Sienna. is our galloping news girl. Yes, yes, yes. Right here to my left. Doesn't run in my family, it gallops. It gallops. And she is wearing black today. Sienna's looking good. It's great. You know what's really interesting? I look over at Sienna and the computer covers everything from the breasticles down. Right. Yeah.
And you can't know that she's pregnant. You have no idea. Oh, you can tell. I'm telling you. I love you for saying that. If you're telling the truth or not. I have more chins. Oh, man, it's rough. Jay's our producer. He's the guy in the next room. He is now 47 years of age, although he looks about 32. Thanks. Yeah, he's just a braver. And you are M1s. M1s are Mikey Show listeners. When you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, and don't cuss. You are a very, very large group of people who are like a, well, we call you M1 Nation. It's really, truly a large group of people. And you can go to Facebook.com, find all the other M1s on there because they are all a part of the Mikey Show fan page. So check it out. It's so crazy, Mike. Every day, because I'm sure you guys get them too, a lot of friend requests. I'm like, man, I thought we were done. They keep coming, they keep coming. I'm like, man, it keeps growing. It's so cool. There's a lot of people that are loving and listening to the Mikey Show. A few big things on the docket that we're going to be hitting on. One of them is, is San Diego one of the U.S.'s largest cities?
We just did a census. Maybe that has. Yeah, that's that's the results. And, you know, the other big deal I didn't know. I woke up this morning and I had no idea. And I'm sure you guys have never heard of something called foreign skimmers. Now, this is about, you know, the oil spill. And this senator from Florida was talking about the president not using foreign oil skimmers. I've talked to the president about it. He doesn't seem to know the situation about foreign skimmers, domestic skimmers. They said to me, look, you know, some of these skimmers we can't take from other places in the country because they may need them for an oil spill. That's like, you know, me saying, well, I can't send the fire truck to your house. It's burning down because another house may have burned down. All right, Sienna, what is an oil skimmer? OK, well.
You sent me this because you had seen it, and there's lots of different parts and different things going on with BP right now. And so I did a little research, and I found out that this happened a few days ago. Have you ever heard of the Jones Act? Uh-uh. This is from the 1920s. It's a protectionist legislation that requires all vessels working in U.S. waters to be American-built and American-crewed. Now, the president, however, can say, no, we need help right now. I'm going to bring in these skimmers. Basically, these skimmers clean up oil. They would be helping our situation. And Obama said no to our allies who offered help and who had some skimmers that could help us. Why? It's a really good question. A lot of people are mad. Even Obama lovers are upset right now. Maybe he didn't know that he could do that. Well, they're saying that skimmers are available in Mexico and Norway. Definitely from those two countries, that could help. He didn't read his handbook. Yeah, you got to have the handbook. You got to read your employee handbook. You got to check that thing out. When you start a new gig, you have to read that employee handbook. But he's like most of us. He's like, I'll get to that. I don't want to. I don't want to. And the skimmers, I guess, can suck thousands of gallons of oil out of Louisiana's waters right now. Yeah. I mean, help, you know. He's on page 12 because he takes the bathroom. We all do that. Yes. We all take the bathroom, but that's the only time we read it. And we'll go, I'll read the handbook, you know, next time I'm in the bathroom. When we got ours here, I was literally shoving.
papers into my backpack. I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll totally check it out. Hey, you're further ahead than me. I didn't know we had one. So, yeah, this story is now, you know, I said that from this article that was from four days ago. So there are lots of different things going on with BP right now, as we all know. And I'm sure as this gets blown up, we'll find out more and more. 570-1949. Call us, M1 Nation. You can talk about this. You can talk about Anything that we are discussing on the air, you can call and talk about. Or you can set your own agenda at this point. Because the first thing in the morning when we come signing on, you get to set the agenda. It could be about anything you want. Something you saw on TV. Something you think is interesting. Question. Maybe you want to know more about one of the members of the Mikey show. And so you go, listen, now's my chance. I'll call now and I'll find out.
What kind of toast does Sienna order when she goes to a restaurant? French. French toast? Sourdough, you know. Sourdough. Sourdough. I'll reveal something about myself. Go ahead. That I think people have been wondering. Yeah. Yes, my boobs are real. Wow. That's fantastic. I swear I thought you were going to say, I like black. I did too. I swear I did. I'm going to have to try to give it to. That too, but everybody knows. Yeah. Mike made sure. My boobs are real. That's right. I made sure to let everyone know. Yeah, she's all natural. All natural. She wants people to know that she's all natural. And there you go. And you can see her this Eve. That was like, I got really excited from it. I was like, what's she going to say? Balls on her. Listen to her. What could I say that's big? I know. Not my boobs. Woodsy, what can you reveal about yourself? That I haven't revealed in the air already? I know it. Really? I don't think there is. Not too many more skeletons in this kid's closet. There has to be. Maybe it isn't a skeleton. Maybe it's just something that we don't know. Yeah. There's something that I think we should bring up again. Just to re-mention. That I was late? Well, that too. Oh, perfect. And that if anything happened to your dogs. I would kill somebody. You said that you would stuff them. Oh, that's right. One of them. I was gone. One of them. Sonny. Were you not here? No, Penny. You weren't here?
Penny. Penny's the original. He said that they are going to stuff. That's disgusting. I know. That's our sweet girl. And they would, you can stuff Penny Bell in whatever position and he said he likes the cinnamon hole. She'll be in a cinnamon hole. She's in a little, like a ball. I'll put her on my desk. She'll be like a paperweight. Oh my gosh. That's so wrong. She's a Yorkie. She's my angel. And he's going to have her stuffed. She's my little girl. I know. Really incredible. She's the sweetest thing. If, I don't. If you did that and that were in your office, I would silently avoid your office. I would not come over. I would very vocally avoid your office. Yeah. That's a good way to maybe keep people away from your house if you don't want them there. Like, yeah, come see our new stuffed dog. Yeah, she just passed away. We got her stuffed. That's right. M1 Mark from San Diego. You there? Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. I can't stand this oil spill, and I'm wondering why we don't. boycott their gas stations. I am. AM, PM, I think Thrifty, I think there's American Eagle or something like that. Arco. Yeah, Arco and... Valvoline, is that one? We should be protesting or boycotting, getting out there and telling everybody that don't buy their gas. Hey, listen, dude, it is absolutely your American right to do so, Mark, and LOB actually is. Yeah.
I cried when I figured out that I accidentally had seen BP gas. She was at the gas station, realized that what she was doing was supporting BP by buying their oil. And true story, she actually began to cry. Now, Mark, that is your right as a citizen. My thinking on it is they did something that was definitely negligent. And they should be held responsible. However, I'm not going to let their mistake influence the way that I run my life. Now, that's my take. And I am completely for you doing whatever you'd like. I think that that's, hey, I think it shows something, man. You're really, you're not just talking it, you're walking it. Yeah, supplying the man. You know what I mean? You got it. Thank you, bro. You got it. We'll see you. This is American God-given right. M1 Ziggy from Lemon Grove. Hey, guys. How you guys doing? Good morning. Morning. Good morning. Just want to let you guys know that USA is playing Algeria today. Yep. 630. Win or lose? Pretty much. Yeah. This is it, right? I mean, now, there's a few scenarios I heard. Yep. They can still draw against the Algerians. Tie. They could tie. Yeah. But a win means that they're really doing. Basically, it's win and you're in.
Yeah. For them. And if they tie and England wins, they're out. Yeah. Is that right? Yeah. Well, I don't know. The first scenario that I know the most is that they're winning, they're automatically in. But, I mean, there's other two scenarios that it's kind of complicated stuff because it goes with, like, the goals that they score, stuff like that. You've got to weigh that in. Points, exactly. Exactly. I think we're tied point-wise with England. Exactly. Yeah. How I know this is beyond me. I know it. It's great, though. You know, I don't have any interest whatsoever in the sport of soccer. But I am definitely the type that loves to jump on any good bandwagon. And this would be a good one. Yeah. There's a curse. There's a game three curse that we're going to try to break today. We've never had good luck in game threes. Today we break that curse. We're going to go to the round of 16. I have a good feeling. We're going to get them. Yeah. I've decided that, you know. Being a bandwagon fan has had such a negative connotation for so long that I'm going to try to change that by admitting that I am a bandwagon fan. That is to say that I don't much support a team until it starts to win. And then when it does, I not only show my support, but I almost go overboard in showing my support. Buy t-shirts. Buy t-shirts, show up to games, that sort of thing. You know I've had to dig in photo albums.
To find pictures of me in Yankee paraphernalia and memorabilia from when I was in sixth and seventh grade so that people would believe me that I was a fan then. Really? Bandwagon, they win every year. I'm like, but I loved it when I was nine. Like, I had the whole thing. Yeah. I'm like, here, look at the pictures. The better a team is, the worse you are if you're a bandwagon fan. Right. You know, Yankees would be the worst. I can be a bandwagon fan, too. I think we all can sometimes. Here's what I, and let me further define. I love the Chargers no matter what. Number one. I love the Padres no matter what. However, I don't really show my support vocally unless they're winning. Or in person. I don't do that no matter what. I used to go. I used to go. I don't do that anymore at all. Now, when we met you in Dallas, you were a huge Niner fan. Still am. Huge Niners. Absolutely. How do you like the Niners and the Chargers? I guess you can like more than one team. Yeah, well, the Niners are an NFC team. Right. If they were an AFC West team, I'd say forget it. That's your bit. And that's like me. I root for the Padres. I watched them last night. Yeah. You know? I also root for the Yanks. I grew up. Yeah, and the Padres are an NL team. Yep. Doesn't really matter, you know? Yankees are American League. Yep. Yeah. You know, you're fine. That's a good point. But I just thought, whoa, I just thought because there were...
in the same state? I guess there's no real rivalry. No rivalry. Different divisions. Not at all. Lots of people calling about the boycott thing. M1 Grunt from San Diego. What did you want to say about it? Most local gas stations are not corporate. Boycott BP. You're boycotting local small business owners. You're going to put those guys, your neighbors, out of business because 15, 20 years ago, invested in a company that had a pretty solid company. Secondly, BP, they ship oil worldwide. Okay, so they lose the United States, they're going to lose a huge percent, but they're still just going to put the shit off somewhere else. One station, you put one station out of business, a small frat BPS corporation is going to lose. That's a great point. Come on, that's stupid. And we're not Care Channel. Yeah, no, I get it. I get it. And, you know, when it comes to, see, the Mikey Show actually made national news one time.
Because I talked about how I didn't think that protesting was cool. I thought it was kind of lame. And so I decided to protest the protesters. I love that, Mikey. So a bunch of Mikey Show listeners went out and protested protesters. And it was on CNN. That's so great. Potster. Well, here's the deal with that. Let me explain. I fully support anybody's right to... boycott or to protest i really do i for the most part feel like it it's pointless i do too i feel it's pointless now if you want to show the world this is what i think and you want people to see you doing it and go oh that person thinks that then you get you know what mission accomplished they now look at a stranger who they'll never see again unless you're there the next day doing it And go, oh, you think that? And then approximately eight seconds later, you're gone from their memory. A lot of times people will protest stuff and I don't even get it. For instance, there was people protesting outside the Clear Channel building, not for Clear Channel, for some other building down the street. Always across the street. Across the street. And it said something like, shame on whatever the name of the company was, right? They don't even tell you why you should be giving them shame.
I don't even know why shame should be put upon them. Yeah. And they do that in front of big department stores and stuff, too. And, like, have any of you ever turned around and not walked in there? Not only that, but honestly, I don't even go home and Google why I should be giving them my shame. Therefore, my shame never occurs. Have you ever protested anything? I never have. I've never protested anything. But me choosing not to go to BP gas stations, it's like the same reason why you can't visit every sandwich shop in town to support all of them. If you just choose to go to one over the other, it's a personal preference. I personally would not like to support them, but I'm not going to shout it over the mountains. Now, would you stop? going to a gas station that you regularly visited. I don't regularly visit really any of them. Just do whatever is convenient. But if there's two across the street from each other and I know one is supplied by BP, I'm not going to go there. I'll go even if it's more expensive to the one across the street. I'm going to do something on the radio right now that I've never done on the air before. What? I've never done this. I've done this. You haven't?
Yeah. Oh, Mike. I've never done this, though. That was great. We're going to do a show meeting today. Uh-huh. And I'm going to, on the radio, tell you guys to remember an idea that I'd like to bring up at the meeting. Wow. I've never done this before. And then, you as the audience, you'll hear this idea come to fruition at some point, which is really interesting. As a listener, I would be like, whoa, weird. I remember he came up with that idea live on the air and now we're hearing it come to fruition. And my idea is, did your dads ever plant something in your head that isn't really real? Of course. My dad gave me about 50 of those and they're not really. Can I have one example? Sure. My dad used to say that you must, you should get gas. From the same exact gas station. What? Yeah. Not true. In fact, doesn't do anything. It's like LOB goes to different places. That's fine. You're going to be okay. But it's one of those things that he put in my head and I do it. Really? Oh, yeah. I do it. Really? If your dad had told you from the time you grew up, hey, always go to the same place. Consistency in the...
Patrol that's going in your car will keep a cleaner engine. It makes sense. Does it not? Of course it did. But it isn't. Is it not true? It's ridiculous. I just thought of somebody. I don't want to bring them up because we're going to do the bit. I know we're going to do the bit. We're going to do the bit at some point. But just those little, I don't know if you would call them wives' tales. They're more dads' tales. You know, you got to do this. This is the way you should do this. Now, some of them are really great. Some of them, I'm sure, you know, can hold water. But others of them. I'm sure, are like, Dad, I do this to this day. But it doesn't really, I mean, really with that? It's just like now you can't break it. Now you can't break it because you're so used to doing it. Let's see. 570-1949 is the number if you want to give us a call. M1 Mike from Coronado. Morning. Morning. I heard you talking about this Jones Act earlier. Right. And I was watching the news this morning at 5 and I saw it. congressman i believe from hawaii and evidently this jones act has been already waived during hurricane katrina and also during hurricane rita right the president has the authority to do that yeah i never heard of it just caught my eye twice today or my ears twice today and i was just wondering if we can't do it why hasn't he done it already this is one of those times we should be using everything at our disposal absolutely i agree uh as sienna said even obama supporters are wondering that
And so we will have to find out. Speaking of, we got more on that. Did San Diego make one of the U.S.'s largest cities? We have so many cool things coming up on the show today. A really, really, really interesting email that came in that we want to read to you about how you can sometimes abuse a friend's hookup, so to speak. And I'm not talking about hooking up like smooching. I'm not talking about that. So we'll tell you about that. You say what you want about John Mayer. I think he's a good guitar player. Tell me about it, bro. Well, I was on my way to the beach, hoping to hang some ten, and I walk by this house and I get blasted in the face by a sprinkler. Whoa, bummer. Then I round the corner past this coffee shop and some waitress hits me with a bucket of soapy water. Barista, dude. Then...
I didn't even see this grass coming. What grass? The grass that shot out of the side of the lawnmower that blinded me and caused me to fall over this wall. Dude, that is totally karma. On Foreman's solo stuff. Lead singer of Switchfoot. The song's called Resurrect Me. Is San Diego one of the U.S.'s largest cities? If I remember correctly, the sign that you see as you drive into El Cajon from the east headed west. It used to say that we were the sixth largest city in America. Really? Really? That's what it said. We're America's finest city, right? We are America's finest city for sure. Was that in 1870? I don't know. I mean, but that's what it used to say. Well, I have a list of the top 10. Do you think San Diego is still in the top 10? I would think so. In fact, I would think that it would have had to have grown. We just did a census. Population or like land area? Population.
Population? Yeah, population. How many people live here? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I say no. No. Yeah. Well, if you consider all the city limits. Oh, yeah. I would think that we're packed. We're packed. All right. 14th. Well, obviously New York, number one. L.A., number two. Chicago, Houston, Phoenix, Philadelphia, San Antonio. Really? San Diego, number eight. Yes. Dallas had beaten us. With more people in 2008 in the census then. But now Dallas has moved to number nine and San Jose is number 10. So we are the eighth largest city in America. Well, you know, I moved from Dallas to here. That's probably what put us over the edge. I think Jamie and I tipped the scales real good. Yeah, and the dogs. Exactly. Wow. Yeah. It's interesting. Because if you think about it, I mean, compared to L.A., I mean, obviously L.A. is huge, but San Diego, it does seem kind of small to me. Well, you never leave your neighborhood. That's true. That's true. That's probably why. Well, the deal is, is that there are, it's just, there are more and more people moving here all the time, all the time, all the time. I told you, my brother one time blew my mind by saying, we were in Tucson. He said this to me. We were at a mall. He goes, imagine.
this mall right now he said we're sitting in the city of tucson he said imagine how many people actually live here he said imagine how much garbage they throw away every day and that's every day he said where that goes he goes now he goes i'm gonna freak you out here a little bit he said but imagine how much human waste is created each day in a city's population where does it go it doesn't just go down The flush. It doesn't disappear. It doesn't just disappear into like toilet planet. Like there's a planet somewhere that holds it all. No. It's better to think maybe it does. Waste treatment. It goes to a waste treatment plant. Then they do something with it. Thank goodness, right? That's a good gig to have working there. Yeah. Well, would you like to know how many people live in San Diego? Of course. 1,306,301. That's it. That's a lot. What would you have guessed? I don't know. At least maybe 2 million. Because I knew that New York City's population, at least back in the day, was about 7 million people. Right now, New York City, 8.4 million. That is an island. Isn't that nuts? It's an island. Well, they're just all so compact with tiny little places to live, you know? That's why they're so grouchy. 8 million people. That's why they need subways.
Oh, my gosh. Imagine the traffic if they didn't have them. Oh, boy. Listen, I can't imagine San Diego, with all of our different little cities, eight times this amount living on an island? On an island, bro. No way. I wonder if it counts the different boroughs. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it counts Brooklyn and all that. Manhattan is an island, but there's other stuff, too. Yeah. It's a concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Thank you. There's nothing you can't do. Everybody's stacked on top of each other there. It says New York City. Oh, wow. Yeah. That's a lot. A lot. Woodsy's got a lot to tell us. I'm excited to hear about the stadium deal. Those Padres made it happen last night. It was awesome. Matt Latos, that kid, he's 22 years old. He is a number one starter. He's got the stuff to be an ace. Right-hander.
Throws 97 miles an hour. Watched him last night. Shut down the Devil Rays. Just shut him down. Really? Gave up three hits in seven innings. Held him scoreless. Padres win 2-1. Wow, man. It was huge. It was absolutely. Watching that kid pitch, he pitches with so much poise and confidence. He's going to turn into, if he's not already, one of those guys. Hey, Latos is pitching. We're going to the game. He's filthy. You know, I'm starting to hear the name on ESPN more and more and more. He's pitching as well as anybody in the major leagues right now. In his last nine starts, he's 7-1 with an ERA of 1-8-1. That's ridiculous. Wow. Ridiculous. So, Padres win again. Keeping it going. Love it. Beat those Rays, too. The proposal for the new Charger Stadium is picking up a little bit of steam. They had a city council meeting yesterday. They have set aside $500,000 to study the redevelopment of downtown. And basically what they've done is they're going to study this and kind of really pinpoint where they want it. It's going to be a 10-acre lot around K Street and Imperial. And it will appear on the public ballot in 2012. Really? Yeah, so we've got a little bit of a wait. Yeah.
But it's going to be about an $800 million project. Wait, wait, wait. But here's the promising deal. If they hadn't done that, the Chargers would have said, brr, brr. Yeah, see you. Gone to L.A. Yeah, they've gone to L.A. They were planning. In fact, city industry was going, hey, we'll take you. We'll build you a new stadium. And so it's nice to just hear, they'll probably be here now at least through 2012. Hopefully the city will vote it in. And I'll be talking about. Trust me, I'll be talking a lot about it on ballot. How cool is it going to be to have a football stadium downtown and a baseball stadium downtown? It's going to be the best. I mean, when you're flying into, it's so cool when you're on a plane and you look to your left, you see Petco. Imagine seeing two of them. What an amazing city. You know it's going to be incredible. Oh, yeah. Like Mikey, I love new stadiums. Love new stadiums. Well, we talked a little bit in the open about the World Cup. It continues today for the U.S.
They got to win, basically. I mean, if you win, you're in. So their destiny is in their hands, which is always what you want. So if they go out and they beat Algeria today. Am I right? Algeria. I'm an idiot. It is. But, yeah, they play Algeria this morning. It's going to be starting very soon. I will, of course, update you guys throughout the show if anything exciting happens. It's actually pronounced Algeria. Algeria. Well, the French have solidified their place as giant douches when after they lost to the host nation, South Africa. Douches, I think it's called. Douches, yeah. They lost to South Africa 2-1 the other day. So their coach, after the game, no, I'm not going to shake any hands. Oh, my gosh. I'm just going to leave. We're going to go. The French government was so mad, and the soccer officials in the government was so mad. They pulled the luxury plane that flew them out there, sent them home on a charter, like a little turd charter. Dude, that's unbelievable. They were so, so mad at them. And then finally, there's a couple of quick football notes. Former Charger Kevin Ellison has already been picked up. By? The Seahawks. Okay. You know why? Why? Pete Carroll. Oh, he's an SC guy. He played at USC. Pete Carroll was a coach at USC, so he's going to get a shot with the Seahawks. So we wish him well.
And Steve Smith, the Carolina Panthers wide receiver who broke his arm playing flag football. Yeah. He's going to be out 10 weeks. Oh, no. Basically, he's going to get back a week before their home opener. So it's basically like a get out of training camp card. So he's not going to have to do much. And that is Woods on Sports, my brother. AJ. Yes, sir. Can we talk? I want to talk about that story that you told. Oh, really? Oh. About the. Yeah. The guy that you know? Yeah. We got to be real careful, though, because they actually live here. Maybe I should ask Jay during commercial. We could talk about this. No, no. You know, it's early still, so. Jay's friends don't get up until 11. No names. Yeah. You tell as much as you want and however you want. So I have a friend who just got married, and he and his wife are on a budget. You know, they're trying to kind of make ends meet. Trying to do it, you know, all on their own. What do you mean by budget? What is that? I mean, they just don't make much money. I'm just kidding. I've never had one. Yeah. Okay. Let me over explain it. So, you know, they're going through and he's got a budget put together what they can spend each month. But every time she wants something now, she just goes to her daddy.
And says, Daddy, you know, Daddy. And the guy's like, look, you know, we're going to do this on our own. He's trying to stand on, you know, principle. And anytime she wants something like a new dress or, you know, she all of a sudden walks in with a new watch on. It's like, he's like, no, no, we're not going to Daddy for this. You know, we're not having them help with the rent. We're not having them help us with a great vacation. Now, my question, and internally when he. was telling me this story. Internally, I'm like, oh, I want to bring that up on the air. Probably should have asked Jay off the air about bringing it up on the air. But my thought, the reason, is because I'm like, let's see if anybody's gone through this, has experienced this. I kind of have. We did. Kim and I did. You guys all did? Oh, yeah. Yeah. What happened? Let's, Sienna, start. Still kind of happens. Really? By the way, if you want to call about this, 570-1949. Or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. What do you mean? I mean, mine isn't necessarily like I go get a dress and stuff like that. It's more like maybe Todd and I are budgeting and I need new tires. And it's like, okay, well, I know when I get paid on the first, you know, I'll have the money and I can do it. And so Todd would say, let's wait. And my dad would say, oh, no, let me just do it. You can pay me back later. And so I would.
go and get the tires or something. And Todd would be like, all right, can you just wait? Like, let's do this together. We can do it. Don't always go to him for help. And I've been used to it and I've been married not very long. So, you know, it's an adjustment. It's an adjustment. But I have to, you know, listen to my husband. Now I'm asking myself if, yeah, because at first I thought, I wouldn't care. Oh, you would care. I mean, especially a man. Like, I totally get why a guy would care. Yeah. Kim was crazy with credit cards. She had credit cards to big stores that were in her parents' name. So the bills would go to them. And I'm just like, Kim, you cannot do that. So finally we just took them and cut them up. I was like, no, not that. Yeah. What's that song that you sing, L.O.B., that goes, when a man leaves his family. And a woman leaves a home. Yeah. I don't know what it is. I think it's called the wedding song. But, yeah, I guess, you know, when you get married, you're supposed to. Be independent or, you know, independent of your time. Yeah. I mean, I've taken help from my folks. Yeah. And I'm a man. But if I've needed help, I've gotten it. I don't think that that's the issue because we have, too. It's not when you need. It's not like you're in need. Yeah. I think like because I've dated a couple of guys and I know that obviously they're not ready for marriage because I'm like, OK, if you're still.
getting like a monthly allowance or you're still getting your cell phone paid for or your car payment. Like, I'm not going to be with you until you figure that out. Now, do you mean that facetiously or did you actually know someone that got an allowance? Several. Allowance. People that I've dated as well as male friends that I have. That are in their 20s? Yep. And live on their own? Yep. And I think it's, I mean, I don't. I haven't gotten a handout from my parents since I've been, like, 18. I mean, they've helped me out with things. Yeah. No, that's not a lie. I'm sorry. That is a lie. They put me through school. But I haven't gotten, like, a handout. And so if I'm a girl and I don't get that, then the guy who's supposed to be a little bit more of a provider, he shouldn't be getting that. I can say that after I was 18, I definitely went to my dad and said, hey, can you help me out? I'm going through a tough time. Yeah, but help is different than relying on a monthly and a regular basis. And it's also different than running, too. It's also different than going to them as the go-to, you know, like Sienna's saying. Yeah, especially like I could have waited a week to get those tires, you know, but I was like, oh, no, he can do it now, you know, stuff like that. And it's just like you're a team when you get married.
Solve those problems together. Is he going to make you pay him back for the tires? Oh, I already did. Oh, you did? Yeah. Okay. So that's the bit. She does pay back, you know, but it's like, I can see how her husband, Todd, would be like, babe, let's... Like, we can do it. We got this. Like, let me... Because he, you know, for him, he wants to be able to take care of me, too. Yeah. And not think that my dad's like, you know, he'll here, give me money, even though my dad just would love to help, you know? Yeah. My mom's a helper. Yeah. And I mean, she'll be like... Like, I talked to her last night, and they're coming in town in a week and a half or two weeks. And she's like, well, I'm going to send you and Jamie a check so you guys can help out with food while we're there. I'm like, wow, we don't need it. You know, we don't need it. Yeah. But we'll take it. Probably take it, but we don't need it. Yeah, we'll take this. But you've got to sign it. Yeah, you didn't sign it. Come on. You've got to sign it. What about the dogs? Did they get a chip in this, too? My mother is... Uber generous. And I mean like crazy, crazy, crazy generous. And she...
That's how she shows her love. You know what I mean? She buys Jamie Prada shoes and stuff, you know? Maybe you and your mom and I go shopping. Yeah. We make that right. What you don't know is that she would take you shopping. Yeah. That's what my mother would. And you too, Mike. Mrs. Woods. Get you some Prada shoes. I can't. Ten and a half. I can't do that. Mike, did she buy you a new cloak and stuff? New robes. He needs a new crown. Really? A new cloak. 570-1949 is our number. Yeah, I'm not talking about the help stuff. I'm talking about we need something. I got to go to mom and dad. Yeah. Well, I just think biologically, you know, as advanced as I know that women have. They are, and progressive as I am. You just have this innate, women have the nurturing, and men have the providing. It's the whole hunter-gatherers and investing and everything. So guys want that. So it's like, if you see your wife or fiance go to your father, what it's essentially saying is, I can't provide this for them. It is. Totally. Woodsy, what do you think of that? Dude, I agree. It's different for everybody.
I mean, I just took a loan from my dad and a big one. Took a big, big loan. But that's what we're saying. But here's the deal. Isn't that different? Well, dude, I had to run to my dad and be like, hey, I need your help. And I know it's help, but I was like, here's the deal. We've got basically three houses we're paying bills on. And I'm like, we are toast, man. Until we sell one of these things. I know how to clarify what we're talking here. It's when the provision can come within your marriage. But you're used to going to mom and dad. And that's not what that is. Say you do have the money to do that. Maybe you just like, well, that could make it a little bit tight, you know. So I'm going to ask my dad. So that way it's easy, you know. It's when stuff like that. If you need it and you know I'm not going to make this payment, then obviously you go to him. I think we've all done that. Yeah. I think we've all gone to our parents for that. But it's different. It's the expectation that comes along with it. Are you just like, I'm entitled to this. And yeah, just give me some money. You have it. You guys have it. Or is it okay? I know that I shouldn't be asking for this, but I need it right now. 570-1949 is our number. 949mikey at gmail.com. Does anybody know about the Lady Gaga thing? And the baseball game? And Jerry Seinfeld? If you don't know about this, Lady Gaga went to a Yankees game.
And she was basically wearing panties and a bra. Yeah. Yeah. And a Yankees jersey over it. And she put a Yankee jersey over it. But when we say she put a Yankee jersey over it, it was open. Yeah. It was unbuttoned. She didn't button it. One button at the bottom. One button at the bottom. So you could see her in her panties and her underwear. Now, when I see it, for me, it's like this is by definition publicity stunt. It's not something that occurred, in my opinion. It's not something that occurred spontaneously. Yeah. Or as I like to say, organically. turned into publicity? No. In fact, it was done for the purpose of publicity. Whatever. Don't you think she already has enough publicity? Doesn't she need it? Yeah. She's kind of on top of everything. Well, she does this, right? And then what does he say? She does the next day at the Mets game, right? They put her in Seinfeld's box? Yeah. He then went on WFAN Sports Radio in New York City and said some pretty gnarly stuff about her and we got the clips next. Be heard on The Mikey Show now. This is like how she is every day, though. She's a weirdo. I don't know if it was a publicity stunt. She is weird. She's a weird bird. And so it got all this attention. And then she did it the next day. Well, she showed up to the Mets game the next day. Yeah. And she was wearing Mets stuff the next day, right? No, actually, I looked. She was wearing kind of a bustier. Uh-huh. But she was pounded pierced. So she wasn't wearing any jersey. No, and I think what she was doing was a bit, like, I guess she's a big Yankee fan. She's from New York. Yeah, I think she's, like, a big Yankee fan, and she was like...
I'm going to go over to the rival. Yeah, she went over to do that. She wasn't, I thought originally, and I had told Mike, she was wearing a Mets thing, but I looked. No, she's wearing like a studded bustier. Weird. I love that you know the name bustier. It's impressive. I used to live in France. Holy moly. So Seinfeld, I guess, a Mets fan. Yeah. And he got mad that she did it. And he went on the radio and he talked about it. Now, let me ask you this with Lady Gaga. What are your impressions of her showing up at Citi Field? I wish you the best. You know, you take one A off of that and you got gag. I don't know what these young people think or how they promote their careers. I don't know how these young people think. They sound like Larry King. He's trying to be nice, though, and just be like this, you know, the younger generation. It's totally true. But I think that maybe is Seinfeld maybe making the switch to older guy. Old guy. Yeah. You know, because that was never his bit. You take one A off and you got gag. Oh, it's like such a dad joke. It sounds like his bit is turning into.
This young generation. Yeah. The city field. She was with the middle finger with the photographers. Yeah. For taking her picture. She's flipping off the Mets fans. Yeah. The photographers. Oh. In Jerry Seinfeld's box. No. This is. You want me to explain the whole deal? Because if she's. Yeah. No, no, no. Well, originally they were taking pictures of her, okay? And she was giving fans and photographers the bird. Where? Pounding beers down in the seats and down with the common fold. Got it. And she's pounding beers, right? And she's like, whoo, gets the bird. And then she asks if she can be moved. She grabs security. She's like, will you move me? You know, and they're like, yeah, I guess. And they throw her in Seinfeld's box. He wasn't there. They're like, we have, he's not here, but you can have your Lady Gaga. We're going to put you in this VIP box. Oh, gosh. Really? Yeah. I didn't think you could just do that. You probably can't. That's why he's a little butthurt about it. I would be too. They escorted her out of Citi Field. Yeah. They escorted her to your luxury box. You know, I changed my mind. You're right. This woman's a jerk. I hate her.
I can't believe they put her in my box, which I paid for. This is what you give people the finger and you get upgraded? Seriously. What's that all about? You know, he's a Mets fan, and she's there doing nothing but insulting the Mets, you know? And they upgrade her. And they upgrade her. Any other person. Any other person to be kicked out? Living in now? I mean, it's pathetic. I mean, what does you know? And by the way, Jerry, the answer to your question is yes. That is the world that we're living in. I know. 100%. Lady Gaga is a big part of the world that we're living in now. Fortunately, that's true. How would I know anything? I wasn't even there. Oh, she's a jerk. Rhinestone bikinis and giving people the fingers. Sounds like a grandmother. He's right, though. Maybe you just don't let your box go to waste, though, for a game. He's a busy guy. You can't make 81 games. But you don't have friends that you could give it to? No, you probably do. I'm sure there are people in there already. You can put a lot of people in a box.
Now Jay's blaming Jerry's fault. You know who doesn't get Lady Gaga? Wow. She's talented. I don't know why she's doing this stuff. Why do you think? That's the other thing. I can't stand anything Lady Gaga's about. I can't stand anything about her image. I can't stand what kids are seeing. I can't stand any of it. Yet, that's... Stupid music is catchy. She is, though. She's really, like, even if you take away the autotune and the whole bit, she's actually, like, musically very talented. And why you have to act like an idiot to try and get that sort of reputation? It just angers me. Well, and I think that what's happened is everybody's got to up the ante. Everybody's got to up the ante. If, you know, if Britney was... showing her vajayjay to the paparazzi getting out of a car. And Paris Hilton got phenomenally famous for doing a clandestine sex film. Yeah. Night vision. Now you got up the ante. But it's like I said yesterday, it's about like the marathon and not the sprint. Right. Like all those girls that do the shock value and the disgusting things. Yeah, they get there quicker and they get all this talk like we're doing right now. But it doesn't last. I mean, look at.
Taylor Swift, she's on top of the world and she keeps her nose clean and she's, you know, she uses her talent and not her shock value. That's true. For the moment. That is true. But it's been a long moment for her. You know, when Britney started to do the up the ante stuff is, well, wasn't she kind of up in the ante right from the very beginning? Oh, yeah. Doesn't it all delete? I mean, it all goes away. Yeah. It's like, what goes up must come down. Yeah. Well, Britney was a virgin for a long time. At least that's what she said. Yeah. Yeah. But the auntie was raised with her right from the very beginning because she did the schoolgirl bit. Yeah, she was like a new thing. Greatest video ever made, possibly. It really was. In my opinion. I remember seeing that video for the first time and being like, this girl's actually younger than me. How old was she at that video? First of all, we have the same birthday. Oh, boy. She was like 16, 15. Oh, God, I'm a creep. Sorry. You're not a creep. That's what was so creepy about the whole thing is that every guy was thinking that's the sexiest girl I've ever seen. She was a kid. When that came out, I was like...
Every guy was. School girl uniform. Yeah. Oh, baby, baby. But that's what was so creepy about it. I know. Right? Baby, baby. How was I supposed to know? I don't care. And then goes to Yankee Stadium and gets in the clubhouse. Oh, please. Wake me when it's over. That's what I'm talking about. He is such a grouchy old man now. No, I'm glad. I hope she hears this and probably looks up to Jerry Seinfeld and probably was stoked to be in his box. And I hope she hears this and is like, God, I did act like an ass. 570-1949 is our number if you want to call us. So that's the deal with that. Oh, the email. So let's see what you think about this. And jump on the phone's M1s or text us. Phone number if you need it. 570-194-9. You know that. Mikey, my neighbor owns a sports bar in town, and every now and then, I'll go in there and get the hookup. Last fall, I somehow got to telling him about how my buddy was the biggest Colts fan you'd ever meet. He said, oh, tell him to come in sometime. I'll take care of him. So, of course, my buddy goes in there during the playoffs, and indeed, my man takes care of him. Well...
I hadn't been back to my friend's sports bar until the Lakers game last Thursday. He ends up telling me that my Colts buddy comes in all the time. And as it turns out, he's been using, or should I say, abusing my hookup since January. Wow. Annoying. He even sends other people in to say that they are friends of his and to take care of them. Oh, my gosh. What a doucher. I was completely humiliated and apologized on his behalf. My neighbor laughed it off, but I could tell he was pretty annoyed. Obviously, I need to call my buddy out on this and stop this, right? Question mark. That's M1 Colts fan. Colts friend. Yes, the answer to the question is yes. Yes, the answer to the question is yes. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. That is so embarrassing. That's embarrassing. Inappropriate. Yeah. The deal is it's kind of the same concept as set your agenda or somebody else will set it for you. There are a lot of people who they'll take what's given. Or give them an inch and they'll take a mile. Absolutely. As much as you'll give them, they've learned somewhere in their life. If I ask for it, then a lot of times people will be willing to give it. And I don't care. I'll just ask. Or until somebody.
Tells me, no, I'll just keep going. I'll just keep plowing forward. Now, does anybody listening have any experience with this? You ever had that bro or that girlfriend or that, maybe it's you, that, yeah, I got in a little trouble because I would overuse this hookup. 570-1949-949mikey at gmail.com. Chew on that. Call us about that. In the meantime, M1 Jake from Kearney Mace is calling in. How about Seinfeld? Yeah. You there, Jake? Yeah, yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. You guys kind of dropped out a little bit, but I just really wanted to quickly say that, you know, that's always been Seinfeld's shtick was, you know, he's always been a grumpy old man. You know, him and Larry David, it's kind of, that's always been in their writing. And, you know, I don't think he's changed at all. See, I knew Larry David was the grumpy old man. I didn't know Seinfeld did grumpy old man. You know, I'm not sure which character he was on Seinfeld, but, you know, they're all neurotics. Well, George Costanza was supposed to be a personification of Larry David. And, like, the grouchy, cheap, like, gets annoyed over the little things and calls people out on it. Yeah.
What's the deal with the old man's thing? Thank you for the call. The worst Seinfeld I've ever heard. I know. M1D in San Diego. It's the worst Seinfeld I've ever heard, and I did it. I love it. M1D in San Diego. Yes, how you doing? Hi. It's Mikey, right? Yes, it is. Hey, Mikey, I just want to call and tell you, I have a girlfriend that's from the Philippines. Uh-huh. And when she first heard the word Gaga, she called Lady Gaga. Yeah? She actually told me that word means dummy in Tagalog. Oh, nice. It's the Filipino language. And I just want to call and tell you that's what I feel about her, too. I feel she's a complete dummy. That's funny. Lady dummy. Dumb lady. Lady dummy. Lady dummy. Yeah, and the funny thing about it, too, is my grandma, my little sister used to call when she was really young, you know, like two or three, she used to call my grandma dummy. And my girlfriend, she's like, why is she calling her that? And I go, she's calling her grandma. She can't say grandma. And she says, that means dummy in my language. And that's how I learned about it. There you go. Gaga. There you go. Thank you. You're welcome. I thought that's what it was. I thought it was like Gaga. Somebody gave her that name. Really? It was like a DJ or a club promoter or something like that. Gave her that name. I'm very out of the club scene. You are? I am now. Just got out of it like a week ago. I thought you were really heavy into raves and stuff.
Well, up until about a week ago. I saw a glow stick fall out of your murse. I had to hang out my candy necklace. Your pacifier? My pacifier. You guys want to play Wheel of Voices? Oh, you know that. Jay, where's my wheel sound effect? I thought we talked about not having a sound effect. This is funny. We did? We talked about having a sound effect. No? No. Let's pull back the curtain for a second. Yeah, let's pull back the curtain. Commercial break. Yes. You went to the bathroom to pee pee, as you normally do. Yeah. Drinking lots of water now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I said, Jay, do we have a wheel sound effect? He said, yeah, no, Mike didn't want one. What? And we're all like, oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. And he said, well, I could always get one real quick. We'll ask him when he comes back. And then we forgot. This is a rapid fire game. And we don't have time to go every time. We're going to fire stuff off at you.
Really? Yeah. That is so us. I don't ever. On the conversation. Oh. I can make the noise. Here's the idea. Time behind wheel of voices. Yeah. There it is. Good work. There it is. Hey, he doesn't mess around. Okay. This is wheel of topic right now because Mikey's going to pick a topic. Yeah, it's wheel of voices and whatever the topic is. Spin it again. That was funny. Topic is the World Cup. All right? Now, the way that Wheel of Voices works is I'm going to do some voices, and then you guys are going to tell me what voice you want me to do. All right? So give me one. Tattoo. Oh, look at you. It's a freshman. First of all, I want to defend what happened right now with the French team. Because everybody thinks that we are such jerks. That's because we don't want to shake somebody's hands that are so sweaty it's like they dip their hands in applesauce. Neil Diamond. Yeah, you know what? I think everybody's making a big deal out of nothing. First of all, the French, we've always known their a-holes. Just look at how much they love Jerry Lewis. Arnold Schwarzenegger. What's wrong with Jerry Lewis? I kind of like Jerry Lewis. I used to bench Jerry Lewis.
For fun, when I worked at Venice Beach, I'd pick him up on the sand and I would bench him like four or five times. Michael Jackson. I did too. I actually used to live inside the sand on Venice Beach. Every once in a while, I'd pop my head out and I would say, why don't you bench me? And Arnold, you would say no. I never said no. Yes, you did. You would say no because I didn't weigh enough to bench. Barack Obama. I was just going to say that. Speaking of benching. I'd like to bench the Supreme Court bench for not teaching me anything about what a Supreme Court bench is. How am I supposed to know what a bench is? I've never dealt with a bench. Monkey Ranch. Bad Blake. Bad Blake. What the hell does Bad Blake got to do with anything, man? From the movie Crazy Heart. I just got to say it. You want steak, baby? You want roll? Hoyle. What about Hoyle? Let me tell you something. I'm so sick of the French, and half the reason is because I ain't never French-kissed one woman. I'm not surprised by that. It's part of the reason. Old-timey radio voice. I ain't got no problem doing an old-timey radio voice. In fact, I'll give it to you right now. Wait a minute. First of all, I'm going to give you some of this first. I've got to give you the old-time radio sound effect. Hoyle, we don't want you. We want old-time radio, guys. Hoyle's setting it up. Oh, yes, I can give you old-time radio, yes.
Yes, come in, come in, yes. Hello? Hello, come in, come in. It's 1954. I'd like to welcome you all here to the Old Time Radio Show. This is the Mikey Show, 1954. Today we're going to play a brand new game that we have called Woods on Sports. Now, the way that it works is you actually bring your iron woods out and you hit them around for a while. Frankie. Yeah, I'd like to hit some irons around. As a matter of fact, I've been telling woods for the past... The past two days. Why don't we go out and hit some balls, dude? You know what I mean. Let's go do this. We'll get it done. That is Wheel of Voices. I didn't even want to laugh because I didn't want to miss anything. Somebody wrote on our Facebook page the other day that they love when we were doing the voices thing. It's a stream of consciousness with all the different voices. Now, what we should do at some point is we let listeners call and we can incorporate. All the other voices that are on the show. We do have some other voices on the show as well. Speaking of which, our very own L.O.B. is going to be out at the Comedy Store tonight. Yes, sir. Go get it. I'll be getting a couple of voices in there. Not too many. We can go see her. And if you mention Lauren, it'll be five bucks. Five bucks off. It's usually $15. It'll be $10 if you say my name. Say my name. Say my name. And then you get in front of us. Yeah.
That's nice. I don't know what they're going to do with General McChrystal, the dude that went in Rolling Stone magazine and talked some smack. Yes, he did. He talked a lot of smack. Anyway, Robert Gibbs, the White House press secretary, on why the president was so angry at what he said. That we're distracting from what the president considers to be an enormously vital mission. for our country and for our own forces. Are we distracting? I don't know that distracting actually plays itself out in something that looks like something. I think that's a great thing to say, though. I think it sounds good. It's a sound good. That's what we'll call those. There are some things that they'd sound good. In fact, when your ears hear them, you go, yeah! But I don't know that they necessarily equate to anything practical.
What is Obama going to do about it? They're calling it. They're calling today is the big decision. Yeah. Today, he's going to decide what he's going to do. Here's Obama talking about him. Oh, by the way, if you don't know, it's the general that's the acting general in Afghanistan right now. Yeah. He went in Rolling Stone magazine, right? Uh-huh. And it comes out on Friday and basically just. Ripped apart. There was rude comments about Joe Biden, our vice president. National security advisor called him a clown. Wow. Yeah. Why Rolling Stone with all magazines? I think he was just saying whatever's on his mind. You think maybe it won't come out? I don't know. You think Rolling Stone is... Thrilled? Yes. He's going to sell any copies. Yes, yes, and yes on Friday. Here is Obama. Roman McChrystal is on his way here. I want everybody to keep in mind. What our central focus is, and that is success in making sure that Al Qaeda and its affiliates cannot attack the United States and its allies. Wait, wait, wait, wait. That's not the focus of him coming to your office.
The focus, yes, that is the primary focus in Afghanistan. It's the bigger picture. Yeah, but the primary focus of him coming to your office is you chewing his A out. So you get tongue lashing. You get tongue lashing. And also you going, why are you talking so much smack about me and about our administration? And dethroning him, too. I mean, Obama said that he wants to talk to the general before making any decision, but this is happening today. And McChrystal says that, I mean, he didn't say it, but most likely he's going to be resigning. Do you have audio of what he did say, McChrystal, the general? I don't have any of his stuff. I have all Obama. I do have one, by the way, of Senator John Kerry, which is, this is what I was thinking yesterday. Can we, maybe we leave him there? Yeah. You know, maybe we, I mean, maybe we like reprimand him, but maybe he's important. Maybe he's doing something. Yeah, and we don't take him out of that job because he's, you know. Because he said something in an interview. Yeah. Guy's under a lot of heat. And by the way. This was the guy that was handpicked by Obama. Obama picked this guy. But here's what John Kerry said about all of it. My impression is that all of us would be best served by just backing off and staying cool and calm. Yeah, I think so. And not overreaction.
A big reason that they're bringing him here is because it's made people freak out. There's a huge uproar because there's a debate going over how they're handling Afghanistan. You know, one person saying one thing, another person saying another. And how does that make our country look? That's the great Frank Pantangeli. From The Godfather 2 said, one person saying this, and Michael Corleone said that, and I said, yeah, sure. The general has apologized, though. He did speak out yesterday. Just let that be enough. He apologized. I mean, he said, I extend my sincerest apology for this profile. It was a mistake reflecting poor judgment, and it should never have happened. That was dead on Frank Pantone. Oh, wow. Dead on. Mikey! Do you know who this is? Kevin Federline, dude. I'd like to hand in my resignation. Kevin Federline. I haven't even gone this low. You know what? I was so courageous when picking music this time. I said, I'm going to do the boldest stuff. I'm going to go into stuff that nobody would ever, ever think I would ever do. I like it. Well, I don't like it, but I like that you went that far. Popo's out.

How thrown off do you think I might be by the fact that the lighting is just a tad bit different?
In the right corner of the room. There's a light out. Oh, yeah. And if I come in and the lighting is different, I notice immediately. I'm like, that light does not point that way. Oh, yeah. Like, this was what used to freak me out as a kid. If every once in a while, I, for fun, would rearrange my room. So I'd put the bed in a different corner. You know, I just want to. I always did that, too. When you were a kid, did you do that, Lauren? Yeah, I still do it. You still do it every once in a while. You need a change? Mm-hmm. But when I would turn the lights on, the lamps, it made me so uncomfortable how different it was in the room. Yeah. Not you, Sienna? No, I always liked it. You embraced. Or if you felt like I was in a new room. Really? Yeah. What about if the wattage was all thrown off? Oh! Parents gave you a new light bulb? Forget it. Really? 60 watt? I used 75 watt. Yes. The light's too bright or too dim. Lauren, you do that too? Yeah. You guys, how do you live like that? Too different. I'm exhausted just listening to you. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Circle Report for a Wednesday morning. Being brought to you by my good friends at Guayaquil, Yerba Mate. Today we're looking at a kind of a, I don't know, holding combination of west-northwest wind and groundswell primarily. Touches southwest on it as well. Pretty small out there in that needlewaist high zone on average. Maybe a few chest outweighs at standout spots. Possible pluses even at the right times and tides. Looking fairly fun at the beach breaks. It's kind of soft in this section. You need some pick-and-choose corners. You can have some steeper inside faces. Overcast skies agreed to you this morning from that early June gloom that should burn off fairly quickly in the sunny and warmer days in the afternoon. Right now, no winds really to speak of, so pretty clean conditions. But if you're going to hit it, look for the beach breaks to be the better call, and you better bring a nice, wide, fat, thicker board because it's pretty soft and slow. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Different girl every night at the hotel. It's irresistible. Oh, my gosh. I did. I like it, too. Three damn days. Oh, my gosh. Am I the only sane person on this show? Yeah. I told my wife we were listening to it one day. We were actually headed to Universal Studios. We were driving to Universal Studios. This song came on the radio. And I said to my wife, I go, this may be the whitest trash song I've ever heard in my life. It's fueling up on cocaine and whiskey, blah, blah, blah. I go, it may be the whitest trash song I've ever heard in my life. I go, I like it. You know why you and I like it? Why? We like old country and this, and we like songs that tell a story. Tell a story. That's it. Yeah.
You like voices that sound like that, too? It sounds like, to me, I like... Wait till Sheryl Crow can get kicks in. I like her voice. You're not a Sheryl Crow fan? I like some of her stuff, but she's so whiny in this song. I can say white trash to my wife because she's white. If I had a wife that wasn't white, I couldn't say white trash. If you had a Latino wife. Yeah, if you had a Latino wife, you couldn't do it. I called you last night. Smoothest. It's so good. LLB, I want you to record an album. Oh, it's so amazing. I love it. I can listen to the whole thing. Oh, my goodness. It's like nails on a chalkboard. No. My name is Ken. All right, so I'm going to be discussing a topic here that... I will already say some people, by the way I say some people, I will say mature people. No one in this room. Will not be interested in, okay? But I want even you mature folks that are listening right now to try to hang in there with me. Because although this topic is sophomoric in nature, it is something that you can at least on an intellectual level go, I've experienced that.
While the rest of us are having a good time. What I'm talking about... What I'm talking about is being in mixed company and accidentally. Which, by the way, is extraordinarily important to this topic. Accidentally. Highlight, underline, bold italic that word. You accidentally... Passed gas in mixed company. Okay. Meaning you did not mean to. You're standing in line at Chili's. You're at a party and maybe somebody makes you laugh and you laugh so hard that you accidentally. Now, why this topic? Because I did it very recently. Yes. I did it very recently, and I was absolutely mortified. And when I tell you who the mixed company was, you're going to go, are you insane? It was my wife. You are insane. Big deal. I know. Everybody goes, what's the big deal? I don't do that in front of my wife. I told you. She doesn't do that. Were you embarrassed? I was not just embarrassed.
I was mortified. I'm telling you the truth. I'm just telling you, we don't do that. It's not our dynamic. It's half of our dynamic at my house. Yeah, you can do it, but we can't. I'm just, you know, I don't do it. I don't do it. And I was in the privacy of my own man cave. And she walked into the office to talk to me about something very important. And I said, babe, you're going to have to leave. Oh, my gosh. Couldn't hold it in. I said I just farted. Oh, my gosh. She didn't even hear it? No, I'm sure she did because she was walking in right. She turned the corner. Oh, my gosh. More of a death cloud. Mike, you're so awkward. Oh, it was so. No, I would appreciate the heads up if I were Rebecca. Yeah. But, like.
I think, well, there was definitely still some judgment going on on her part. I don't blame her. I'm so dramatic. When anyone tells me that, I cover up my face with my shirt. I'm like, don't breathe. 570-1949. Now, this is what's shocking. The first call is a female that has done it. It's M1 Karen from La Jolla. Yeah. What did you do? First year in college, and I was taking a really boring art history class. And usually we were in this huge auditorium, but we were presenting and I fell asleep in this class.
Oh, my God. That's the only time I've done a fart in front of my husband. It woke me up. Yeah. It woke her up in class. She fell asleep in class. Oh, man. And she woke herself. Like, what could be more humiliating? First of all, you fell asleep in class. And then everybody looks because you startled yourself awake. The worst. That's exactly what happened. Did you transfer? Two days left in class, so I kind of just, like, hid in the bag. I would have transferred. Thank you, Karen. 570-1949 if you have a great accident. It happened on accident. That's the key. I have a confession. Oh, gosh. You just did. No, no. This morning. If you remember, we were sitting at my house and I was sitting in my chair and we were all doing the meeting. I knew it! It wasn't the chair! It wasn't the chair! Mikey told the fart story that he didn't like to be farted in front of or something. And I kind of moved to the chair, and I...
full on farted. And we said, Jay, you're like, no, it's the chair. And you did it, so then I did it. He said it was the chair. Yeah, but he admitted it and was like, oh, well, mine was real. Yeah, I thought I was like, oh, cool, this is what we're going to do. No, but you guys, Jay admitted that it was the chair, like, for real. He wasn't like, no, it wasn't like, oh, there must be a duck in here. It was like, no, you guys are so dumb. It was the chair. He was sitting on like a leather chair and his feet were up. He made that from him. Of course he did. Oh my gosh. I was so embarrassed. I was like, oh, lie, quick, lie, lie. Really? Oh my gosh. I didn't know that. Jay, I would have laughed. for an hour if you had said it was real. Just wait until we get to Mikey's house today. Well, listen, I have a rule on the Mikey show that the Mikey show is a fart-free zone. Yes. I don't want... I don't like that rule. I like it, I like it, I like it. I don't care if you don't like that rule. I don't want people farting in here. I don't like that rule. Oh, gosh, no. I think it's gross and I don't want it. It's a natural bottle. There's no windows. Greg, go to the bathroom. I don't want to experience you that much. This is the exact conversation I had with my older brother all through growing up. He would do it and I'd be like,
You're like, oh, come on. He'd be like, it's natural. I have to. And I would be like, walk into the bathroom if you have to do it. Yeah. Who walks to the bathroom to go fart? I'm going to tell you guys, I'm really nervous because I'm like seven months pregnant. And I'm so worried. I'm going to laugh really hard or sneeze or something. And it will happen. If it happens on accident. It's the cutest thing in the world. Oh, it is not. If it happens accidentally. Except if you're trapped in a room with it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then it's bad. I'll carry spray just in case. But it's still, if a girl does it, if a girl does it on a... I'm so nervous. Like being tickled or something. I've never had. Don't make her laugh. Well, we're talking about farting. Nothing makes me laugh more. I know. I tickled a friend one time and she farted and got really... She got angry because I laughed and she was so upset. Like she was upset. I would be too. I did it yesterday. Where? At Ikea. What? At Ikea. Crop tested. Yeah, we went and ate. Well, we went to Ikea to get some stuff and we ate lunch there. God knows why. But we were starving. So they have a cafeteria. We went up there and ate.
Dude, I had like a Swedish meatball and some mac and cheese. About 10 minutes later, I'm walking through that. I'm like, this is going to be bad because we had a lot of stuff to do. Why did you do that? Why don't you go to the restroom? Dude, you know how big Ikea is? It was a mile and a half. Great. I mean, it was like, what? He had to find the restroom first. Bro, it was like this. No. Oh, yeah. You did that in public? Yeah, and Jamie turns. Are you really demonstrating the sound? Animal. Jamie turns. Your wife was with you? Yes. She turned and ran. She ran. I live with the same person. I think she literally said, I think she might have said, get the F away from me. Let me tell you something. If I had been with you and he did that, this is what I would have done. And this is exactly what I would have done. I go, I'll be in the car. And I would have walked. But you know what she did? Awful, awful, awful, awful, awful. Like a dummy, she ran behind me, then had to walk back through it. She goes, it's on my teeth now. Thanks very much. It's awful. Woods did that to me at the DMV yesterday. He's like, walk with me. Walk with me. I'm crop dusting. I'm like, that wasn't yesterday.
We were at the DMV yesterday. He crapped us every day. He crapped us everywhere. He knows that. I don't know that. All in your car. You do not. Do you really? No way. No, you don't. You would know if he did. I'd know. Would you? I think I would. Woods. He's giving me that look right now. He's contaminated. M1 Zach from Oceanside. Oh my gosh. Not too much. Go ahead. I was in the grocery store the other day, and it was late. I was really tired, and I let one slip, and I was like, oh, crap, I'm in the grocery store. I'm sitting in line, and the lady that's bagging my groceries looks at the guy behind me who's worked there and goes, you didn't just do that. Oh, my God. It's the worst when you know that they smell it. Oh, wow. I have to see this right now. It's your nose like a laser beam. Oh, wow. Wow. Did he get blamed for it? They started going back and forth. He's like, it wasn't me. It wasn't me. I just papered my crap and I got it as soon as I could. Oh, my gosh. It's the worst. Thank you. I love it. There is a... Now, remember, the key to this, because Woodsy actually... I don't even know why you told that story. That wasn't an accident. It was at first. That was premeditated. No, no, no, no, no. You said this is going to be bad. Premeditation. I knew it was going to be bad. I didn't know it was going to be loud.
But you were going to do the accident. But you knew it was coming out. My wife wasn't tickling you. Accident means that it happened without you doing it purposefully. It happened on accident. Yeah, it was an accident that it was so loud. Let's just call it that. Thought you could control the volume. Oh, my gosh. I was at a sales conference, I don't know, a couple years ago. And this guy was, like, so straight-laced and boring and giving a speech. Like, mic'd up and everything in a hotel conference room. And he let one go that. I swore it was like a sound effect or a whoopee cushion or something like that. And he just went, oh, excuse me. And then kept going with his presentation. And nobody said anything. Nobody, like, cracked a smile, nothing. Are you serious? My face got red from holding the laugh in because I was like, oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. Excuse me. Oh, my gosh. Excuse me. Well. He goes, oh, my brother. My brother. My brother used to teach. his daughter, he's, you know how straight-laced Mark is, that when you do that, you say, excuse me. And so, up until she was old enough to realize you don't actually do that, she would just do it and go, excuse me. Oh my God. Just whenever she wanted. Yeah. Like, because he taught her that when you do that, you say, excuse me. But she didn't really get it until, like, she was older. So even if they were silent. Yeah. She would be silent and she'd be nine years old and go, and go, excuse me.
So you guys aren't at your house. You're not a fart family. No, not at all. So Jake won't run in and go, ha ha. No, no, he will not. Our last name is Farrar. Todd calls us the fart rars. The fart rars. I am not. My dad didn't do that. My dude, mine didn't either. But I'm a fart guy. No. We were a fart freeze home. We were too. I've never heard my dad or my mom. I would vomit. Me neither. But at my house, it'll be all the time. Todd is, like, high-fives Jenna. If she does, he's like, yes! When my dogs do. Did you do a real good one in class recently? When my dogs do, I die laughing. Oh, my gosh. Ew, those are the worst. M1 Dylan. Silent. From Carlsbad. Go ahead. Hey, yeah, I was in high school about 25 years ago. Sitting next to, like, super most popular girl in school. And let one rip by accident. Because we were laughing real hard in class, and I said, oh, man, you're gross, and blamed it on her. Oh, my gosh. It's a good bit. The blame bit. It wasn't me. It's kind of like the drive-by, I guess. Poor girl. You look at her and go, dude, what are you doing? This text is from M1 Kenzie, a gal. She said she was at a dance her freshman year in high school, sitting on a wood floor. Oh, no. Oh, boy. Echo. So loud.
It echoed throughout the room, she said. Oh, boy. That's pretty phenomenal. It's the worst. Mortifying. Absolutely mortifying. Who's going to want to dance with you now, Kinsey? Yeah, forget it, Kinsey. Your high school career is over. Because in high school, we're just so immature. And I was thinking in high school, but then I thought, no, I'm 40. I'd still, that person would be out in my book. But yeah, if a girl in high school farts in front of you. Oh, it's over. Over. Yeah, move. My girlfriend did. My girlfriend in high school, I was sleeping, had my hands. Well, she was sleeping on her stomach on the ground. I had my hands on her butt like this, looking up at the sky. And she's like. Oh. And she woke up. It woke her up, and she just started laughing. She was asleep. Yeah, she was asleep. See, but you have to, like, laugh, or else what do you do? On your hand? It was, like, right at my head, like, looking at her. That's weird. A little buttercup. Let's see. M1 Judy.
From Kearney Mesa. Go ahead. Hi. I work in a repographic shop, and I was walking around. I heard a noise in the background, and I kept saying, walking around, trying to hear where the noise was, and I said, what's that noise? What's that sound? What's that sound? And as I was walking around, I went, whoop. Oh. My coworker started laughing so hard that he fell on the floor. And so I ran away around to the corner, and as I was laughing and running, I was going. Oh, my God. That's a machine gun. Was that planned? So you planned that. No, I did not. You didn't plan it. Oh, wait. I thought that you were saying, what's that sound as a cover-up? Because you knew what was coming. Was there actually a sound? Yeah, the machines make noises, sometimes like a beep. Because our shop is really big and the sound, like, bounces around a lot. You really can't hear where it's coming from. It started bugging me, so I started walking around and said, where's that sound coming from? What's that sound? And as I was walking, I took a step and it went boom. Oh, my God. It's greatness. It's the worst. It's, I think that the more, I think it's a funnier.
The more of an accident it was. Yeah, exactly. So you don't do the Dutch oven or the buttercup at your house, huh? No. It's too bad. You're missing out, pal. I do it at my house. At my house, too. I don't like it. You don't like to be buttercuped? It's the best. I think that's so gross. So funny. He doesn't do the buttercup to me anymore. Anymore? Anymore. I put my foot down on that one. Yeah, and if you want to know what that is, you're going to have to write Woodsy or Zia to find out. Don't want to know. Nice. Nice, nice, nice. Oh, boy. 570-1949 is our number. You spend that. Oceanside Pier. That's a killer Sunday. Fun time. Way to end the summer. Yeah, it is. It's presented by Miller Lite and Scion. Should be fun time out there. So make sure you get into it. Hey, Mikey. Yes? We have Senior Beans. He says he's Woodsy's dog. Oh, that's my little boy, Sonny. He's my, we, one of my Yorkies, Sonny. We call him Senior Beans. Senior Beans. Hi. Hello. I miss you. Wait, wait, hold on. Hi, Daddy. You called your dog, Sunny, Senior Bean? Yeah, Senior Bean. Why? Hi, I miss you. I miss you, too. Oh, my little baby. He's my youngest. He's my little, he's the little sweet one. When should you come home? I'll be home. We actually have a meeting today, so I'm not going to be home until late. You bring me jerky? Yeah, I'll bring you jerky. Jerky. I have to call you because, um, because Mama Jamie. Mama Jamie not here right now. Where'd she go? She's not in-house, so I want to call her to tell you what she do when she's not here. What has she been doing? He's my little... He's like a spy. I don't want to call him a rat. I mean, he's the size of a rat, but he's not a rat. He's a good boy. Something smells special. What's going on? What is she doing? She's been replacing your cheesy snacks with low-fat ones. No! She has not. At first, you say nothing.
And then you notice. Now I know. Thank you. Thank you, Beans. You want to know something? Yeah, I want to know more. She done more and not to you. What else has she done? She said she's going to go work out. Yeah. She don't go work out unless you go washing one life to live on the TV or working out. You are kidding me. She's been lying to me. Papa? Yeah. Papa? Yes. Papa? I want to tell you about Mama Amy. What does she do? She's doing a lot of chopping, man. A lot of chopping? A lot of chopping online. Oh, online shopping. Is she? That's what I said, online shopping. Online shopping, okay. What is she buying? She's buying everything, man. Everything. You got anything in the mail? I haven't seen anything. But I have not. You haven't either? I wonder what the big stack of boxes and the recycling bin could be. Oh, I wonder. Let me look in there for you. Yeah, take a look. What does this mean? Prada, Louis Vuitton. What does this mean? She's buying Prada and Louis Vuitton online? I don't know what this is, but yes. Well, it's very expensive, Beans. Senior Beans, you're just outside sniffing around the trash cans right now? Yes, I am. This is Senior Beans. I am my puppy's little boy. He is the sweetest one of the, well, yeah, he is the sweetest one of the butts. Puppy. Yes.
She also been using light mayonnaise again. I'm sorry. No way. She makes me a sandwich every day when I get home from work. She's been using light mayonnaise. She tried to sneak it past you. She did try to sneak it past me. Gosh, she is dead when I get home. I just want to say that between that and the ground turkey that she called hamburger. She's trying to health the kid all up. You didn't know it? No, I thought it was ground beef. Thank you, Beansy. I want to drop the hammer when I get home. You have to have a talk with Mama Jamie. I'm going to. And I think, too, she's been deleting your man sports on the TV one by one. Oh, that doesn't surprise me at all. Remember last week you said to her, I remember you stated to her clearly. You said to her, dear. Yes. Have you seen a Man Sports Illustrated? Yes. And she said back to you, Mama Jamie says, you know, I don't think I touched that junk. Oh, she touched it. Did she throw it away? She touched it right into the trash, papi. Oh, man. You are getting, I'm going to give you two bagging strips when I get home. You'll give it to me. Yeah, I'm going to give you two bagging strips when I get home. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. When you come home. I'll be home probably like at two. You bring me something, make me wiry? I will. Wiry?
What you bring to me? I'm going to give you two begging strips right when I get home. I love you, Sr. Beans. I love you, Sr. Beans. If I go kiss you, can I kiss you on your mouth? Yeah, you know that. Gross, gross, gross. I have to go, puppy. Bye, bye, love you. Come back in. I love you, bye. He actually called in. Why do you call Sunny Sr. Beans? Because we have one of our dogs is Lucky. And Lucky looks like a Frenchman. So we call him Monsieur Buddy. How does he look like a Frenchman? Because he looks like he's a Frenchman. Does he have a mustache? Okay. So Jamie's always called him Buddy. He's like, come here, Buddy. And so in this movie Wall Street, there's a scene also. She walks out and she goes, bonjour, Monsieur Buddy. So we've always called him Monsieur Buddy. And then we looked at Sonny and we're like, he looks like a little Mexican dog.
So we call him Senior Beans. Oh, my God. When I go over there, I'm not kidding you. It's like looking in a mirror. Well, so people are like, because we have 50 names for each dog, literally. Oh, my God. Mama Yamey. Mama Yamey. I could hear that voice all day. There's a little Bluetooth going on there. He's daddy's little spy. Wow. That's right. Lauren said in her recap, this is pretty good. She was talking about, she was talking about. how she was talking to a friend. Is this a friend of yours? Yeah, a friend of mine on the East Coast. Is a teacher. Now, if this were a friend that were in town, there is absolutely 0% chance that we could say this. But her friend said that, what grade? I think it's either third or fourth. I think it's third. You tell the story. She was telling me, I guess they just got out of school. And it was her first year teaching. And she's like, man, I don't know if I can do this. There's a kid in my class. She said, oh, I feel bad saying it. She said, I hate his guts. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. He's a third grader. I know. She's like, I really feel bad. Like, I feel bad saying that. But he is a little.
SOB. Right. And she's like, you know, this is just my first year. I'm sure I'm going to run into this because I remember growing up, there was kids in your class that were like a pain in the butt. Right. And she's like, ah. Exactly. But she's like, you know, I kind of feel like. I probably treated him differently. Oh, no. I don't know. She's like, how do you handle that? You have to treat all the students the same. And she kind of would chuckle a little bit. Let me tell you. You got to treat all the kids the same. I don't know about you guys, but didn't you guys have the teachers that really loved you? Oh, yeah. Yeah. And I definitely had teachers that didn't like me for whatever reason. Fourth grade, man. I had a blonde teacher. I will never forget this woman's face. couldn't stand me hot no not really yeah i had a fourth grade teacher that for some reason or i think it was my older brother that ruined it for me and i came in it was like already like oh you're an o'brien kid yeah you better watch it but that's what her and i were talking about that last night it's like you knew you knew you had teachers that didn't like you but and it haunted like we obviously i still know i'm not going to say her name but i still know that
that teacher's name that didn't like me. If I remember the teacher, I would say it, but I don't remember the name. I honestly don't. Her name's Mrs. Brozel. Yeah, you could say it. Mrs. Brozel. You'll never forget it. Yeah. She's a B. But yeah, but it affects you as a little kid. You're like, she doesn't like me. Yeah. So she was like, you can't, you know, I guess if you're a teacher, there's no difference in if you're in any other walk of life. It's like anywhere, man. You better learn then because it's going to happen to you when you get older. I've already thought with my kids, I'm like, there's going to be a day where they're going to come home. Their teacher just doesn't like them. Yeah. Yeah, but you think, like, because I guess this kid, like, nobody really likes him. So you kind of think the teacher has to be, like, the safe haven for the kid because all the other kids make fun of him and everything. And she said she actually, like, gets a kick out of it. Oh, my gosh. I know. Maybe she shouldn't. No, she said she'll, like, reprimand him. She's like, but some of the stuff's actually kind of funny. Oh, man. Let me tell you something, man. I will tell you this. I have the weirdest theory on why my teacher didn't like me. Why? Because I was chubby. No! I think she didn't like me because I was chubby. Everybody loves chubby kids. Oh, she did not. And I think that's the reason why. No way. Am I pulling the race card? I'm pulling the chubby card? Maybe. I love chubby kids. Write that down. Gross.
Did you just say gross? I said gross because the way it kind of came out. I love chubby kids. I was like, chubby kids are cute. Chubby something else. Whoa. Lauren, see you, Mike. What? That just happened. And you're being inappropriate. Well, yeah. Well, naturally. 570-1949 or text us 949mikey at gmail.com. I had a teacher in sixth grade who just hated me. Why? I went to private school. We had to wear uniforms. And you weren't allowed to wear makeup or nail polish or anything like that. And she sent me to the principal because I had clear nail polish on. And your boobs were probably hanging out. And I know, Mike. You know who wouldn't get in trouble? The kids. It was clear. It was clear. Am I really going to offend someone? That's crazy. It was protective coating. My nails chip. Yes. I only had one teacher. My teachers. Oh, weird. They loved, I could do no wrong until I got to college. Yeah. Because then they'd met 80, there was 80,000 of you in one place. Yeah, the beach armor. They did not, they were not, well, my teachers were all priests. Yeah, they weren't having you. And they weren't having it. Some of them, most of them loved me, but one, Father Noel, I told you, we almost got to fight. Oh, you can't fight a father? Father Noel. Yeah, Father Noel, I told him to F off.
Oh my gosh. He accused me of cheating and I didn't cheat. Do you love how Woodsy tells a story like, oh, once I tell you, it'll make sense. He called me out in front of the entire class and accused me of cheating and I was like, I didn't cheat. I cheat a lot in college, but I didn't cheat in that class. I didn't have to. It's a priest, bro. I don't care. Priests above the law. There's a certain reverence. I don't know. There's a certain thing of telling a priest. Not so much anymore, pal. Would you tell your grandfather to F off? No. It's the same deal. My grandfather wouldn't accuse me of cheating. 570-1949. Hey, what are you going to do? Yeah, when I was in grade school, my teachers liked me a lot, but I have one teacher. She just couldn't stand me. I think it was sixth grade. I had one teacher that told me they liked me so much that he always put me at his desk just because he said I had this nice smile. Yeah, I had one of those too. Yeah, and in hindsight, I was like, that was weird. I had an English teacher in high school, and we were broken into groups to do these groups, you know, group project. And so we had to read a book and talk about the book in our group, and then we would do an oral presentation. And so I was the one going to do the presentation. I did the whole thing, loved reading, did really good.
I don't like writing it down, but I could do an oral presentation. Everyone in my group got an A. I got an F. What? And I went to her. She said, well, I just didn't like your attitude. Oh, my God. But you're the one that did the presentation? And no one else in the group even read the book. I was the only one who read the book. And how old were you again? I was a freshman in high school. So what did you do? I just changed it out of her class. I went to the counselor and said, hey, this teacher hates me. And the teacher was like, yeah, pretty much. Woods would have given him the F. Oh, really? I would have gone to the principal and been like, look, this is discrimination. You know why else I did it? It's because he grabbed me by the collar and was trying to run me out of his room. I think I said, get your effing hands off me. But back in the day, they could do that. Not back in the day. This was like 10 years ago. But I'm saying maybe he was an old priest and he was still used to being able to slap kids around. You don't touch the kid. The kid touches you. You don't touch me. Wow. Write that down. Wow. Yeah. Kids got a little bit of an attitude. Yeah. I had one. I was a wild card, man. Now you wear scarves. Now I wear scarves. You know what I mean? Better than wearing clothes. You're a sweetheart. Better than wearing clothes.
This cloak is only prescription. I'm wearing it because it's a prescription. It's made of silk. It's nice. Protects your skin from the sun. Sorry I don't wear a kimono to work, pal. Did you know Calvin Klein is going to start making capes? Yeah. Shut it up. Shut it. They're making them on the runway coming up this fall. It's the new deal. That's so stupid. Is it? Is it? I will do anything if you show up one day wearing a Calvin Klein cape. I swear I'll do anything. Let me tell you. I'm going to get him one. Please. Is it Calvin Klein himself that decides that or does he have people that work for him that came? Because who's the guy with those rocks that comes into the boardroom and goes, you guys, I have an idea. It's for the September issue. I really want to make a splash. I think Calvin's going to love it. I want us to do capes.
That's exactly. Who's that guy? Word for word. Word for word. In Europe, I bet you they would. Capes? They would be like, oh, it's a quick alternative. You just throw it off your shoulder when you get a cape. Amazing. I want one. I guarantee. A lot of the times with runways and designers and stuff like that, they do this stuff on the runway, and no one ever wears them. It's such a waste of money. You're like, nobody would wear that. But it's for the effect. Oh, my gosh. I want a cape. So bad. Write that down. What? Like, imagine. Eventually, you fast forward 10 years from now, affliction, black affliction caves. Ed Hardy caves. Stranger things have happened. Absolutely. The fact that somebody saw an Ed Hardy and goes... That's kick ass. Okay, a cape serves multiple functions. It's cool looking. It can keep you warm. In your coffin? You can keep you warm in your coffin. All of a sudden, if it starts raining, you just flip it over your head. Exactly. What is wrong with a cape? I love them. In fact, I own many. I wear them in Portland. Those are vampires. Big difference. They wear capes.
capes. They don't wear capes. They wear regular clothes. They live among us. They don't exist. They do. So stupid. Fantasyland. 570. 194.9. So yesterday, Lauren went for a little walk with her sister's daughter, her niece. Little angel. You guys got your paths crossed and you lost each other for about an hour. Oh my gosh. You and the baby? No, my sister and I. She was like, I'll run and you walk and then we'll like meet somewhere in the middle. She thought you guys... We were separated for like an hour. Oh yeah. It turns out we were like 50 feet away from each other but I was like, I'm like, I'll just sit still and that way... You know, that's what you have to do. And she decided to do the same thing. But I was, like, on a little curve so you couldn't see where I was sitting. When we finally found each other, she was so frantic. Like, I'm like, I don't know if she'll ever trust me with her kids yet. Oh, you were with her daughter. I was with her daughter, yeah, so she could go for a run. Yeah. Oh, my gosh, it was horrible. Scary. How old is a baby now? Three months. A little over three months. Pumpkin. There may be a, oh, wait, I know what I want to tell you about.
and I think I may have said that we were going to do this later in the show, but I want to do this. When I first brought this up, I set it off the air, and Woods goes, I'm in. And I was too. It's things women should stop doing by 30. Uh-oh. Uh-oh, this is very close to home for one, a certain cast member on this show. Got a couple more months to get it all in. Yeah, she's 29. I don't want to embarrass her. I won't say her name. Her initials are Lauren O'Brien. I'm 29. She's 29. Still in my 20s. Why is this interesting to me so much and you too, Woodsy? Why? Right there. Is that why? That's exactly why. So we can look at her and judge her. Oh, great. It is. That's it, Woodsy. Time for the roast, baby. This is all different stuff. Some of them I'm sure you do and I do and some of them, no, you don't. There's definitely what you don't do anymore. Fellas, as you're driving and you're listening right now, Either you know somebody that's under 30 or you're dating somebody or you're married to somebody that's under 30. But you all know somebody. So this is stuff that they should be stopped, that they should stop doing. Or someone that's 30 or over and you say, hey, you should have stopped that. You should have stopped that. A year ago. A child. Jamie. Grow up. Grow up, Peter Pan. Making out with your girlfriends at the bar. Oh, that's so stupid. Girlfriend?
That is timeless and ageless, Sienna. That should never stop. It's filthy. You've seen girls do it. Is it filthy? It's filthy, dude. Is it filthy? It's filthy. It's the greatest. It's not filthy. It's just, okay, you get it. All right. Honest caps, ladies. Really? No. Oh, I don't even want to know. No. They're lying. They're both lying. Sienna's lying. Lauren's telling the truth. Not at a bar. Not at a bar. No, wow. In a bedroom. Yeah. On a subway. No. When girls are young, they sometimes, they just. You know, they practice. Yes. More, more, more, more. It's like you practice, okay? Holy crap, she's red. I know. Like a tomato. Like a tomato. Okay, another one on the list is making out with your boyfriend at the bar. Timeless and ageless. No, it's not. Not. So horrible. Timeless and ageless. I see that and I go, really? Grow up. Come on. I'll kiss Mama Yami anytime. Making out? Oh. 100%. Ew. You'll make out at a bar? Get a room. You got a room. I got a room. I meant the bar. Declaring an entire gender all jerks. Oh, that's absolutely got to stop doing that. I feel like the more people that do that are more likely to be like 50 and over. Really? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what? L.O.B.'s kind of right.
I think between 30 and... I'd say 60. I'd go 60. But between 30 and 60, there's a moratorium on declaring the whole gender or the whole whatever. But when you get 60... It's pretty one-sided, man. Isn't that mostly women talking about men? No. Mostly. Woods, you're the one that's always like, really? Was she a woman? Because, yeah, okay. Yeah, fair enough. That is true. That is true. Son of a bee. Once he just got that look on his face like, I guess I do do that. The old elephant brain over here got me again. Maki, is she a woman? Maki. Really? Clown. Another thing every woman should stop doing by 30 is holding a grudge against anyone who wronged her in high school. That's human beings. I still hold grudges. People have grudges against me. I wish they would drop. Weird. Like who?
No, but don't say their name. No, there's just a couple girls. Rumors start in high school. Oh. And a couple rumors started that I did some things that I didn't do with some guys. Didn't you? No, I didn't. Didn't you? I was a prude in high school. Oh. In high school? No. But yeah, there's like people I know. They're like, they keep showing up in my friend suggestion on Facebook. You're like, nope. I'm like, no, they're not going to do it. You better add me. We have 38 friends in common. I hold grudges. I have a couple. Really? Real good. You do? Mm-hmm. I got a list. I have one for sure. I got a list. You know. He'll get his. Really? Oh, yeah. Wow. Oh, yeah. You realize that holding a grudge against somebody is like eating rat poison and expecting the rat to die. Tell me about it. Mm-hmm. Can't help it, though. Can't help it. When you're mad. It's human. I'm a human being. Why don't you let a higher source handle it? Well, he'll get a pipe to the back of his knees one day. Definitely. Everything will be okay. He's damn inappropriate. He'll get a pipe to the back of his knees. Won't know what hit him. That's weird. Okay, another thing every woman should stop doing by 30, crushing on Justin Bieber. Yes, please. How about by 15? Yeah. How about 17? Robert Pattinson, same bit. My friends who are over, Robert Pattinson, he's still fair game. I think he's the least legal.
Justin Bieber, a couple of my friends who are over 30 this weekend were like, dude, he's totally hot. Oh, that's filthy. I was so grossed out. Really? He's like a child. He is eating formula. Yes. Come on. Hey, sweetheart, you're a 300-pound woman in Akron. What? I don't think Robert Pattinson's going to come knocking on your door. Well, you're a 300-pound woman in Akron, 45 years old. Yeah, yeah. I don't think Robert Pattinson's going to go, hello, I'd like to take you away with me. Yes, good evening. Good evening. This next one, I think every guy, it will hit them. And they'll know some girl who did this. Calling her father daddy. Doesn't bother me. Really? Doesn't bother me at all. If the girl is Southern, it's okay. Oh, yeah. I thought you guys were going to say yes. If the girl is Southern, it's okay. If she's from... Anywhere but the South. Like refers to her dad as daddy? That's my own rule. You guys are in the room. My phone rings. It's my dad. I answer, hi, daddy. Weird. Right? Weird. Now, if you were from, if you were from, yeah, you're from Dallas. Hi, daddy. Hey, daddy. See, I have a thing and I'm probably going to be villainized for this. Probably. I don't like when guys call their mom mama. I do. I call my mom mama. Hi, mama. Why?
I don't know. It's the same thing as the daddy thing. That's what Jake calls Rebecca. Well, he's three. She means guys, because I call my parents a million different things like I do my dogs. So I'll call my dad, daddy sometimes. Hey, daddy. She's always gonna be my mama. Yeah, I just, I don't know. Something that when I hear it, I go, ooh. You're a villain. I know I am. Cruella de Vil over here. The record just scratched for me. When I said I call my dad, daddy. Yes. Thank you. Sometimes. You call your father. Wait, let's call him and do it. Slide it in there and we'll see if it flies. Easy. You call your father dad. Sometimes I call him pop. But like in a joking. Yeah, it's like a joke. I'll be like, hey, mama. To my mom, but like in a joking way. It's a joke. I call my dad pop. I call my dad dad, pop, pops, and daddy. Hey, daddy. What you doing? Nothing. Playing golf. Kicking it.
Sienna's got the same expression I do. It's not anything to stop the showdown for and roast me. I want to hear him do it and see if it works. It's easy. Hey, Daddy. Oh, no. That's a little innocuous when you do it like that. It sounds very, like, yeah, no big deal. But I don't think he does it that way. Daddy! I think he doesn't want to be roasted right now. I don't go, hi, Daddy. I go, hey, Daddy. Or I say, love you. What's up, daddy? Or I say, love you, daddy. That one got me. That's weird. That one got me. That's weird. He said, I love you, daddy. And then just smiled at me. It's weird. You guys are all fun. It's like what Hugh Hefner's girlfriend say to him. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Do you guys know who the Times Square famous naked cowboy is? Oh, yeah. Very famous. He's upset. I'll tell you why. Part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. Or text 949mikey at gmail.com. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. When he yells with the headphones on, it just, like, breaks glass. You don't worry about it. It's being dynamic over here. Did you have your headphones on? What's that? Did you have your headphones on? No. No, kid was ready to work. You were doing the... Did you have yours on? Mm-mm. Kid was ready to work. Look at that. Preparation. I like these guys. Execution. Oh, they're the best. This is my whole high school. USA just got gypped. Again? Again. Game's not over. Ugh. World Cup's on right now. Woodsy says...
They had another goal stolen from them. Yeah, I saw there was another goal taken away. Somebody, if you have any clarification, make that right. Yeah, he said that somebody wrote him and said that they had another goal that was clearly a goal that the ref said no to. Yeah, conspiracy. Why do they hate us? And I care, you know. I do. Well, you want to stand up for your country. Yeah. It's just so weird. I don't care. I didn't have any interest. You don't care? I don't. I'm sorry. You don't want the USA to win? I'd be really happy if they do. And every time I get the score, I'll be really happy if they, you know, advance. I was thinking about this the other day. Then don't you want them to not get gypped? No, I want them to not get gypped. I'm just not. I was thinking about it the other day. This is my first on-air gig. Yeah. And I, sports, I do sports. I've had to cover the Olympics this year.
and the World Cup, two things of which I had no idea. I had to come in and talk about, did you guys see the luge team last night and the women's figure skate? I'm like, oh, man, what a stroke of bad luck wrapped in good. Well, here's the thing. The World Cup is really, really a big deal to people that here in America that enjoy soccer. If you don't, you have no idea. I do. You should like it. You do not, LLB. I don't watch it. Really? You follow the LA Galaxy? I watch basically one sport on television, and that's football. That's it. It happens once a week. We don't care. I'm getting into it. Americans don't care. It happens three times a week now. Well, my team. Your team. If Americans cared about soccer, we'd be broadcasting soccer. Yeah. Like in prime time. Absolutely. Because people would care about it and would make money. It always comes down to money. I mean. Why isn't the World Cup every year, like the World Series, the Super Bowl? Why? It's special that way. Yeah, but, I mean, if it's so great, have it every year. Because it's hard to get all those nations together. Is it? Yeah. Pick a spot. Expensive, maybe? Yeah. I said it earlier, though. I am really, really a bandwagoner. I will jump on a bandwagon like nobody's business. I mean, I guess I got the fever, but I'm just... Yeah. I go either way. 570-1949.
M1 Asian Mike from Poway. Hi. Hi, how's it going? Good. What up? What up? Yeah, it's my birthday today, and I wanted to make a special request if I can. Go ahead. Yeah, is Eskimo around? Tell her to put it out. She did. She put it under her boot and ground it out. In the carpet? In the carpet. No, I did not. Yeah, you did. I had a piece of ashtray down underneath of it. On the bottom of your boot. That's a lie. That's where you keep an ashtray on the bottom of your boot? It comes equipped with it. Actually, I got it from Boot World. She does this thing, though, where she's really trying to... Everything's image to Eskimo. It's so image. She doesn't really inhale the cigarettes. No, she just blows it out. She puts it in her cheeks and then blows it out. Oh, really? Well, and then the other day I heard her going... Yeah, I got something cut in my throat. Okay. Well, this gentleman, Asian Mike, would love for you, Eskimo, to sing him happy birthday. Getting special requests now? Yeah. You're getting requests now. See? You're getting more and more popular. Say again?
I was going to say, I can't really pay her, though. I can maybe make her something. She's used to that. She's fine with that. She's fine. She's fine, yeah. I make exceptions. Yeah. Maybe like a macaroni necklace or something like that. Okay, yeah. Perfect. Yeah, I can do that. And you can eat it or wear it. That's right. That's true. Or sell it on eBay. Or sell it on eBay. That's right. Well, can you do something for him, Eskimo? So he wants like a happy birthday thing or something like that? Sure. Yeah, that would be awesome. Okay, I can do that, but... I want to do it my way. Weird. Because I only sing original stuff. Really? So I'm not going to do the tired, worn out, happy birthday bit. Because it's, first of all, it's copyright infringement. It's copyright infringement. Fair enough. Second of all, I want to stay on the cutting edge here. So real quick, wow, I'm really on the spot. But I'm going to come up with a little ditty. All right, let's hear it. A little ditty. And a two. And a three. I wish you a happy birthday. I wish you a happy birthday. I wish you a happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Really? Amazing. It sounds a lot like We Wish You a Merry Christmas. No, that was I Wish You a Happy Birthday to Agent Mike. Yeah. The only thing is that's copywritten. That's copywritten. That's not. I just came up with that. The melody, the tune, everything? No. No.
Nothing. Okay. Thank you, Asia Mike. Happy birthday. Happy birthday, and I hope that fulfilled your dreams. Happy birthday. Good luck on your show tonight, Lauren. Thank you. Lauren is playing at the Comedy Store tonight. And LJ. And La Jolla. And Sienna's Hood. Coming to my hood. Tonight at 8 o'clock, you can see her at the Comedy Store. And if you mention her, five bucks off. Pretty good deal. The Naked Cowboy. Yeah. Hello. He's this dude that stands out in Times Square. He appears to be naked. He's not. He wears, like, boxer brief shorts. Man panties. Yeah. Not even the shorts. The briefs. Briefs. Yeah. And a cowboy hat. And he plays the guitar, and he's very famous in Times Square. He's been there forever. For years. In fact, last year he tried to run for mayor. He dropped out of the election. I don't know, Woods, because that dude is famous, man.
People go out of their way to find him and meet him. He's always at the same spot every single day. First time we went there, I said to Rebecca, look, it's a naked cowboy. She goes, oh, let's go say hi. That's like the Bushman in San Francisco. Now there's an imitation Bushman. You guys know the Bushman? No. Oh, you don't know? What is it? Like, puts, like, trees and stuff. He looks like a bush. Amazing. And he sits, like, behind a trash can or behind a lamppost or something like that. And then when people walk by, he scares them. What? He'd get a kick in the face. He'd be like, I got you. Pay the man. Pay the man. Can we see it on YouTube? Yeah. Oh, that's genius. And I was taking a video of him, and he was like, I have it. He was, like, calling me out. He's like, don't be an a-hole. You're going to take a video. Pay the man. Amazing. It was, like, a whole, like, documentary. about him and everything, but there's an imitation bushman that's stealing his bit. You don't even pay for parking. I bet you didn't pay the bushman. All I had was a 20 on me and I was like, I don't want to give him my 20. No, hell no. That's an awful lot of money for the bushman. So Sienna, what's he mad about? What's a naked cowboy mad about? He's got some competition. What? It's an imitation naked cowboy. No.
There's a naked cowgirl. Oh, probably a bigger draw. Absolutely a bigger draw. Yeah. People are going to check out the naked cowgirl. Now she's wearing, they don't say exactly, but I'm imagining. Pasties? No, like a bikini probably. But the naked cowboy has sent a cease and desist letter to her. What? And says, you know, she's stepping on my territory. You can't do that. That means that he must have gotten his naked cowboy bit. Trademark. Yes, I bet he has. Yeah, he got a trademark. How can I get cited for that? It's like the guy, it's like Bruce Buffer, the guy that says, let's get ready to rumble. Michael Buffer. Michael Buffer. Yeah. Bruce Buffer is his brother that does it for UFC. He has a bit too. Yeah, he does. Now, I don't know if he's trademarked it, so I ain't doing it. Oh, yeah. But you can't do the Michael Buffer thing on the radio or you'll actually get a cease and desist. Eddie got one. No way. What? He did not. Yeah, he did. Wow. Eddie did the Michael Buffer, let's get ready to rumble, only he did it like Michael Buffer says it. No way. He got a cease and desist. What if I say, let's get ready to... Can't get me there. You can't do it. I don't know. We'll find out, won't we?
But what about like Paris Hilton? Hey, the kid's pushing the envelope constantly here. Paris Hilton trademarked the that's hot. Like if someone said it like her, could they get in trouble? I don't know. Can we play that drop? Yeah. Play it. I just said it. Play it all the time. But she goes, that's hot. Yeah. That's hot. Yeah, that. Yeah. You're fired. Yeah, I wonder if you're fired. That's trademarked. That is. What? You can't just trademark words like that. The way he says it. Can't you? He's pointing to git on his computer. Really? Have you trademarked that with you? I have the domain. You better do it before the beast man does it. Git! He's going to get it. Get beautiful hair. That's right. So the naked cowgirl better watch out. Of course. The naked cowboy makes a ton of money, by the way. Oh, yeah, from the tips? Of course. It's time for Donald Duck, Hot or Not. Donald Duck, Megan Fox. Oh, yeah. Hot, hot, hot. Definitely hot, right? Definitely hot, right? She's getting married to Brian Austin Green, the guy from... Oh, you didn't know that, Donald? Yeah, it's true. Yeah, Megan Fox is going to marry Brian Austin Green, David Silver from Beverly Hills 90210. Should do way better. Miley Cyrus, Donald Duck, hot or not? You think she's overdoing it, Donald?
A little bit. A little bit. What about Jennifer Aniston, Donald Duck? Hot or not? Definitely hot. I think so. She's smoking hot. Yeah, and she's in her 40s, which was a big deal. Time Magazine did a whole thing because she was in her 40s. Donald is still hot. Donald's like 142. Exactly. Donald Duck, Kim Kardashian, hot or not? You didn't sound 100% sold. Not at all. She's brunette like you. Yeah. You got a big booty. I think that's, I don't think Donald likes the booty. Does he not? No, that's why he's... Donald has a big booty. He doesn't have brown hair. Tail feathers. Tail feathers. Tail feathers. He's got big tail feathers. Tail feathers. Donald Duck Britney Spears, hot or not? Oh, no way. Really? Really? Maybe 10 years ago. 10 years ago. Maybe 10 years ago. She was hot. But now it doesn't do anything for you. Not so much. Yeah.
Donald Duck tends to lean towards the blondes. Yeah. Did you notice? He's a tough critic. Yeah, she is. Really tough. He is a tough critic. That's right. Thank you, Donald. Donald Duck. The song is hot. I know. Who sings It's Getting Hot in Here? Natalie. Everyone just looked at me. I got a couple of looks in this room right now, like I asked. Hey, what is one plus one? You might as well have asked that. Sorry, it's not K-Fed. I might as well. Powwow or whatever. Yeah, payway. Popozal. It's called Popozal. It's called Popozal. This is Mikey's music picks. I'm speechless. You're better than that. America just scored. America just scored. It is getting hot in here. Is that trademarked what we just did? I don't know. No. They're probably going to take it back. Yeah, they'll probably take it away from us.
Probably take it away from us. How much time is left? I don't know. I can't read that clock. I don't know what that means. It's going forward. How many minutes are in a game? 90, I think. 45-minute halves? No, there's 93 right now. No, I think they're playing in their four minutes. Basically, they take time where the game's shut down or stopped, and they average it in. Yeah, right at the end. Weird. So they're plus four. So you need to add four minutes? Yeah, basically. So there are four minutes left in the game. That's what it looks like. Wow, look at Algeria. Algeria gets in the ref's face. It's really exciting. It is. Wow. When they score. They were getting mad. Yeah. When they score, it's exciting. If results fall, U.S. and England advance, U.S. wins Group C. Yeah. USA. Don't know what any of that means, but I'm all in on all of it. Yeah. Hey, Jimmy Kimmel last night. He lost power at his studio. So he did the entire show on his laptop webcam. No way. How rad is that? Yeah. Here's him interviewing Seth Rogen. And this is what it sounded like. Because he did it on his webcam. This is your microphone. Oh, my gosh. Crazy as that. The live studio audience was there and everything. He didn't want to disappoint. Laptop, by the way.
had power because it's a laptop. It doesn't have to be plugged in. It had battery power. America just won. It's over! The Americans won. The United States just won. They advanced. USA! USA! USA! USA! That's great. So now they advance. See, now I'm like, I've been a fan forever. I love soccer. Yeah. Hey, listen, if somebody would have asked me a month ago about the World Cup, I would have said, I don't care, but as long as America's in it. You're going to cheer for your team. Sure. Of course you are. Now I've got to cover it in another two weeks. Oh, stop it, Woods. I wonder who we play. If anybody knows who we play next. Or when. Or when, yeah. Probably July. It depends on something else that's going on right now. Probably July. July. Hey, look at that. Yeah, boys. So cool. They're all celebrating. Hugging. It's nice. Oh, wow. Come on with that one, Woodsy. I like this song. Who does he is? Rascal. Rascal Flats. I've never heard it. Really? I like this song. You know what it'll do? It'll get in your heart and it'll settle down real sweetly.
It's a new country. What does he don't like the new stuff? I don't like the new stuff. He's a traditionalist. You know what you do like? What do I like? You like cigarettes. I love cigarettes. Because you like cigarettes, I got news for you. Oh, good. I'm sure it's phenomenal news. Well, does it mean anything to you that there may not be any such thing as lights anymore? Absolutely. I smoke ultra lights. Really? Very manly. Would you like to know the details? Sure. Stick around. People are going to like this. The Mikey Show. It's a good time. You know what I mean? Call 570-1949. Hey guys, it's Lauren from The Mikey Show. So I have in front of me, here's two lists of ingredients. The first one's some sort of chemistry lab manual. It's acesulfame potassium, hexamodosetophane, phenylkananaritics, I don't know. Apparently all these ingredients are found in your leading iced teas and sodas, many of which are calling themselves all natural in quotes. Yeah. Not so much. These are so-called ingredients that they say are coming from the earth and they're organic. I don't think so. Here's another list of ingredients I have. It's purified water, organic green tea leaves, organic cane sugar, organic honey. That's more like it to me. That's organic. That's refreshing. It's natural. And you're going to find all of these in Honest Tea. In fact, Honest Tea's honey green tea is organic. So cigarette smokers. Yes.
Knock it off. How is it that lights could be a thing of the past? A U.S. law is banning any cigarette company from labeling light or mild or low-tar cigarettes. So you can't say that on the packaging? Yep. Took effect yesterday. It's intended to prevent what the government says was deceptive advertising. Really? Yeah. So now it'll just be... Well, basically, I mean, if you smoke... Seeing the word light on there makes you think it's better for you. Yeah, I smoke ultralights. Because I'm like, ah, these are no big do. Well, what will you have to call them? Well, they say that the tobacco companies are still going to color code their packaging to make sure smokers know which one are the milder cigarettes. But they don't want them to say light and stuff like that because they don't want anyone thinking that just because it says light, it's better for you. Wow. So as of yesterday, you won't be seeing that. As of yesterday? Uh-huh. No kidding. This law. Wow. Well, the thing that... I don't smoke anymore, but I used to smoke. And I smoked light cigarettes. And I know that if I were to smoke a regular one, I was like, whoa. Dude, if I smoked a red, a Marlboro red, which I used to smoke in high school. If I smoked a red, I would vomit. Yeah. Well, I mean, there is a difference. That's why they're saying, you know, they're not going to just.
not do anything now. They're going to color code them so that people know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But they don't want the word light on there because people think that it's better. Same tobacco, different filter. So, like, mine will be, oh, can I get two packs of Marlboro Pinks? Thank you very much. Yeah, Marlboro Pinks. Yeah, I mean, I'm assuming it will be like that. Weird. I wonder how people will do it. He's probably right. It's color. Or maybe they'll call them, like, mellow. One of them, I know that one of the Marlboros will be in a gold pack, so you would say, I want the Marlboro gold. Yeah. Really? A couple packs of gold. Oh, man. Did you see that breaking news? No. Lawrence Taylor indicted. Really? Just now indicted on sexual abuse, all kinds of nasty stuff. Wow. He was indicted. So they obviously had enough evidence for the indictment, and he has been indicted. Wow, man. Well, he's got a long road ahead of him. We'll hear a lot more about that in the coming days. Let's get ready for Gender Pyramid. Okay. We need a guy and we need a girl. Woodsy and Sienna are going to square off. They just need partners. So they need a guy and a girl to call in. And Woodsy will pair up with the guys. Sienna will pair up with the girl. It's just like Pyramid. They get 60 seconds. You can pass. What kind of prizes do we have today, Jay?
We have a Book of Eli prize package and a pair of Eli sunglasses. Plus Cox on Demand and a book of the CD. Nice. 570-1949. We need a guy and we need a girl to play. There's your prize. And we'll get this thing underway. If you haven't heard, USA beat Algeria. USA. USA. So there it is. They advance. Don't know where. Don't know with who. But we do know that they advance. All right. Let's do this. Let's do a little gender pyramid. Our boy, M1 Winder, is on the air. What's up, Winder? What up, guys? Let's go get him, Johnny. Let's mind meld. We're mind melding. BFFs are partners. I know. We're mind melding. I know it. How about you call my mom? Maybe she can be my partner. 570-1949. We need a girl. And we will get this thing underway. Winder.
is a buddy of Woodsy's, and so you guys do have a chemistry that may be able to aid you in this. Well, I mean, let's not go crazy. Well, me and whatever girl, I'll have a chemistry with this girl. We don't have a chemistry. But we can get Sister Waverly on the phone. Seattle! Well, we do not have a girl. Had 100 guys call in, but no girls yet. Yeah, we have all guys calling in. We don't have one girl calling in. Girls, how about we represent a little bit? Guess all those dudes want a taste of the kid. No. Maybe those guys could stop calling for a moment and let a girl call. Yeah. Men, hang up. Come on, girls. Yeah, we just cleared some lines, and I think we got a girl. We cleared lines. No, we lost her. We lost her. We need a girl. What's going on? Okay, last time Woods and I tied. Yeah. This time, I will win. All right. I can throw some tickets into my show to sweeten the pot. How about that? Let's do that. Why don't we do that? It worked. Oh, look at that. Tickets to... Oh, my gosh. They're calling. There's a delay. That's what happened. The phone line started blowing up. Yeah, we'll throw in tickets to LOB's show tonight at the Comedy Store. Cool. M1 Bailey, are you there? I'm here. That a girl. All right, Bailey. How are you guys doing? Good. Show them what's up, Bailey. Doing good.
Now, Bailey, it works just like Pyramid. You're going to be getting these categories. You've got 60 seconds, and you can pass. We're going first, Bailey. Yeah, ladies first. You ready? Yep. Here we go. Hammer, drill, saw, screwdriver. Good. Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini. What kind? Ferrari. Yes. Masters. Tiger plays this sports. Golf. But, no, but in that sport, you play in? Oh, pass. Okay. Lakers, Spurs, Celtics. Basketball. What, specifically, what kind of? Team, basketball team. Okay. Filet, filet mignon, tri-tip, tenderloin. What? Steak. And, okay, petroleum, diesel. No, more specific, you put it in your car. Can I pass? No, it's either that or we go back to the sport that Tiger plays, and he plays in that sport. Fuel? Yes. You got the other one. Okay, now I'm going to try this other one. Tiger Woods plays the sport. You've already said the name of the sport. Now they compete in. That's it. That's it. That's it. It was tournaments. PGA. PGA. It was what? It was golf tournaments. PGA golf tournaments. Yeah, I don't think you need to say PGA.
Yeah. We didn't have to. Golf tournaments. Golf tournaments. Is that a half? Because she did say golf. They don't do halves, I don't think. I think it should be a half. I think it should do. If it comes down to a tie, maybe. If it comes down to a tie, that'll count. So it's five and a half. Perfect. We're dead, Winder. Winder? Good job, Bailey. You got some work to do, buddy. I mean, come on. First grade stuff there. Hey, I thought those were pretty hard. We're dead, by the way. Are you ready? I got to make my excuses now for when we lose. All right. Here we go. Okay, women, wear this under a dress. Bra. No, under a dress. They pull it up. It's got a little thing in the crotch. It might be hanging over the shower. Yeah, and they come in certain. Okay. Where is your heart? I hate myself for losing you since you've been gone. What? Okay, where is your heart since you've been gone? The day we fell apart. She was on American Idol. These are... Kelly Clarkson? Yeah. Okay. Princess. Emerald. You give this to... Diamond cut. Oh, yes. Like a virgin. Madonna. Yeah. Okay. Ross. Rachel. Joey. Okay. Cancer. Cancer. Sagittarius.
Oh, horoscope. Yeah. Is that right? No. Is that right? No. He's getting points for them that I didn't. I'm still going. Is that not horoscope? No, no. Cancer. Sagittarius. It's called a... Sign. Sign. No, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. That's a half. Sign? Okay, if that's a half, then Kelly Clarkson is a half because he didn't say Kelly Clarkson songs. He didn't say pantyhose colors. He didn't say Madonna songs. You're not the judge, by the way. He didn't say friends. She's the judge. He didn't say characters. All I heard was ding. I was going off. I got word for word. I got off the ding. L.O.B.'s the judge. Well, apparently Mikey's the judge because he was ding. Mike, you have to admit, I got word for word. And you guys said, she said golf and golf tournaments don't count, but friends and yet characters on friends counts. I hate this game. I do too. I'm mad. If he gets it, I'm mad. Just call it a tie and we'll all take tickets. I think that's fair. How about we do that? Okay. Perfect. You guys both won.
There you go. Thanks, brother. Great job. Diamond cuts. He nailed. That was nuts. If you're actually going to go to the show tonight, leave your email with Jay. Yeah. If not, don't. Don't waste my time. I'm representing Dr. Bailey because she did so good. I'm like, if she gets robbed, I'm going to be mad. Yeah. She did awesome. Yeah. That was the worst game I've ever played in my life. Because I'm like, I think that's right, I guess. We've got to come up with some. Well, you're just dinging. They've got to be broader categories. It has to be like, I mean, we have to not, because if, you know what I mean? Like we're being too specific. And so if he gets the ones that aren't specific and I get knocked against, then that's not fair. Because horoscope and astrology signs are not the same thing, but it's. He said signs. Eventually he did, yeah. But he didn't ever say astrology, you know? That's why it's hard. That was really stressful. Just relax. Yeah. It was very, very stressful. It's just a game. It's just for fun. It is? Yeah. Oh, listen to you. You're like Miss Competitive, too. We all are. That's the problem. No, I'm saying Mike. We are all very competitive, obviously. Woodsy's waving. I just saw Mikey walking down the hall. Woodsy's waving goodbye to my body. Bye, buddy. I'll see you later.
Little cubs. Little boots. Come back tomorrow. See you tomorrow. 6 a.m. We'll do it all again. I have an idea. Why don't we move on? Why don't we do some news stories? Yeah, let's. Something more fun. I have some news stories. Won't get me riled up. That was a blast. What about this? Should peanuts be banned from planes? Wait, what? Not my dummy? No, not your dummy, Eskimo Blue Waters. Not your dummy. Eskimo Blue Waters has a dummy named Peanut. It's a different kind. The kind they eat on planes. What's the deal with it? The U.S. Department of Transportation, the DOT, has some recent proposals for improving air travel because, as you know, a lot of people have peanut allergies. Yeah.
A lot of people, if they're in a plane and there are peanuts being served, even the smell or the sight, I don't know about the sight, but the smell definitely will cause an allergic reaction. That's why you carry the EpiPen. Yeah, but should peanuts even be there when it's this big of an issue and it happens all the time? Even if it gets in the air, it'll get people riled up? Maybe because it's not fresh air and it's just recirculating? No, a little girl who I know, she was like four at the time on the plane and there was... peanut, like little pieces of broken peanut on her seat. And she didn't eat it. She was near it. And she broke out. No way. Imagine a little kid going through that on a plane, you know? I had no idea that it could do it. I never even thought about that. It's that strong. They better not ban peanuts on planes, man. Uh-oh. They're going to piss Dave off. Really? Yeah. I wrote a song about it. Let's hear it, Dave. You better not ban my peanuts. You better not ban my peanuts. You better not ban... That's a great song. Maybe you need to get your prescription filled. I'm a little on edge, man. I haven't had any weed in like three days. Apparently they haven't banned caffeinated coffee. I drink that tar that you guys keep out in the break room. Maybe we get some decaf for you, Dave. What you talking about? I'm going to go back and lay under the board. That was Dave Matthews.
He just stopped in to scare all of us. That was very loud. Just heated. I think it was a protest song. Was it? Dave Matthews just ran in the studio, terrified me, and then he just ran right out. Dave Matthews came in to fully embed himself into my nightmares. Oh, my gosh. You want to hear it again? No, no, no, no. No, no, no. I'm not good. You want to hear it one more time? All right, let's hear it one more time. One more time. I'm afraid. Oh, my gosh. You better not ban my peanuts. You better not ban my peanuts. That's terrifying. You better not, better not, better not, better not peanuts. Oh, my gosh. Well, they may ban his peanuts. Oh, my gosh. You better not ban his peanuts. I'm going to throw up. Here, listen to this. It's my T-shirt. What? M1HB from Arby is on the phone. Hey, HB. Hello. Hi, everyone. My niece is highly, highly allergic to peanuts. And my sister won't, refuses to ever fly Southwest again because...
They took the first flight out. Yeah. And they told everyone no peanuts, but there was still peanut dust in the air, and she had a reaction. Oh, man. I'm telling you, it's strong. I'm fine getting rid of peanuts if it's going to hurt people. Of course. That's so salty. What about their pretzels? Now, what about pretzels? They flew from the east because they went to New York, and they flew back. And on the way back, they asked everyone, they said, there's somebody allergic to peanuts. Can you please not open peanuts? And somebody asked, what if I do? And they said, we will have to emergency land the plane because once they have... administer the EpiPen, we have to land with it a certain amount of time. Wow. Yeah. I'd like to be that D that opens them anyway. Yeah. So he was like, oh, never mind. So he didn't. So after the flight, my sister said, you know, went up and said, thank you. This is my daughter. And he felt really bad at finding out it was a little four-year-old kid. I'm sure. It's really serious. Yeah. I love that Lauren is okay with the band because they're salty. They're so salty. It's like my mouth's already all dry on the plane. I wonder if you have an allergy that's that bad to peanuts, if you can go to, like, a baseball game. There's peanuts everywhere. The peanut shells, you know? Probably not. And there must be some places you've got to avoid. Yeah. And you have to ask about everything you eat. Everything. Circus. You get riding an elephant. Yeah, never riding an elephant. Oh, man. I'm running an elephant.
I want to ride an elephant. I can't ride an elephant anymore. They eat pilas. You can't even hang out with clowns. They don't. This guy, Jake Baklava. Pavelka. That's a made up name. The guy from The Bachelor, Jake Baklava. No. He married a woman named after the sausage. Mike. Deanna. They didn't get married. He was The Bachelor, and he chose Vienna. What? Did you watch this? No, Sienna, so you're saying that they did a reality show with a guy that didn't know this girl and picked her from a group? And they didn't make it? Yes. You're kidding me. In fact, in the history of the entire show, I think it's only worked once. I'm floored. The firefighter. Jason Mesnick and Molly Mulaney. But then there was also Ryan and Trista. He's a firefighter. And then there was Jillian. I don't know. I'm just going by rote memory. I have no idea if that's... No, because the bachelorette Jillian is also engaged.
To her guy, too. They haven't pulled the trigger yet, though. Yeah. Whose phone just... Wasn't mine. Somebody's phone. Was that my phone? Was it your phone? It could have been mine. Who owes a dollar? I put it on silent. Mine's on silent. Somebody owes a dollar. Sometimes it switches off silent when it's in my purse. We started yesterday something called Kangaroo Court. Yep. So if anybody does this mess up on the show... Then they owe a dollar. For instance, today, $476 owed by all of us. What about Dave Matthews? What does he owe you? He owes $8. He doesn't owe you anything. Yeah, he owes me eight minutes of my life back. That was brilliant. What is it? Ban my peanuts? You better not ban my peanuts. You better not ban my peanuts. You better not ban my peanuts. I already forgot it. Can I hear it again? No. No, please no. It was the scariest thing I've ever heard. You want to hear it again? No, no, no. I'll kick him and wake him up. All right, let me hear it one more time. Really? Wow. Wow, now you like it. You better not ban my penis. Oh, my gosh. You better not ban my penis. You asked for it.
Oh, my gosh. So, yeah, The Bachelor, he split with Vienna. Weird. It was on CNN. Weird. It was everywhere you could look. I was like, what is happening? What is happening to our country? I know it. My friend Jenny once emailed me and asked if she could nominate me to be The Bachelorette. Really? I was like, Jenny. Oh. Do you know who I am? I know, but still, that'd be cool. I went to a tryout, an audition. Really? Yeah, for the old show I worked on, I went. Guess who sent in tape? You. No. I'm not an idiot. Mauman. Who? Mark Bauman? No. Mark Mauman. He sent in a tape to be The Bachelor? Weird. Oh my gosh. He would be good. I've never even met him yet. My brother got to, like, the second stage interview of it. Nice. Yeah. They do a short, fat Mexican version in Mexico that I sent a tape in for. I think you're in. El Bachelor. El Bachelor. Yeah. El Bachelor. And I didn't even make that one. If they did, like, if they did the anti-Bachelor, I would make it on that show. Yeah. It'd be fantastic.

Like a chicken. Hey. Did you guys see the Rolling Stones cover band at Fiesta del Sol? No. You didn't see that? Were they good? Did they sound like them? We heard them. Oh, my gosh. Remember, we heard them. We were walking around. I don't remember. They sound like them, and he does the dance. It's hilarious. I want to see that. I think they're called Rolling the Stones. We were busy being dynamic in the food court. That's right. And by being dynamic, I mean eating corn. I was watching the music.
Yeah, by being dynamic, you mean that I had a turkey leg all to myself. I was feasting on rows of corn. I would love to see a Rolling Stone cover band. Maybe we can go see them as a show together. I would love it. My friend's in a band, and I think he's performing, yeah, Friday. Rolling Stone cover? I want to see that. Really? I want to see that. He does all the time. This restaurant in LJ. Does he do the chicken? No. Oh, this is a full-on tribute. And the Keith Richards guy had, like, big spiky hair. Oh, see, they don't, like, dress like them or anything, but they're good. Cover bands are great. I almost joined an STP tribute band. Of course. What would you have been? I would have had to be Weiland. I would have had to do the... Really? Yeah, he's pretty good at that. That's great. Why didn't you do it? Because the guitar players suck. Sucked. Really? Sucked. Sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked. So you're over it. Can't work under those conditions. No, the drummer was phenomenal. And we jammed and we were like, that sounds pretty good, but man, that guy's weak. So we didn't do it. I was going to be in a minuto. Didn't work out? Yeah. You were too tall? I thought you were in right side. Yeah, right side Fred. I was going to do that. The minuto thing didn't work out because I don't speak Spanish. Yeah.
Plus, it wasn't the ban menu. It was the soup. The food. The actual soup. The food. It's just a soup. Disgusting. M1 Mean Gene just texted in and said, so when I heard, quote, scary Dave, I'm pretty sure that I may have scared the bejesus out of the woman in front of me with the coffee that I spit on her. Oh, my gosh. Thanks for the assault and battery charge, guys. M1 Mean Gene. Mean Gene. Love me some Mean Gene. Did we give Mean Gene his name or did he pick it himself? I think he picked it. He's great. Yeah, during the commercial break I said to Woodsy, wow, Dave Matthews was oddly interesting. Oddly entertaining. What did I say? Oddly amusing. Oddly amusing. It was. I said it was oddly amusing. I go, hey, what was he so angry about? Doesn't want his peanuts banned. And so what does he say? He loves peanuts. It's because he doesn't want his peanuts banned. Mikey, he's a stoner. He's a stoner. What stoner doesn't like peanuts? Doesn't want their peanuts banned. And so then I go, oh. Use your head. Again, I got it. Use your head. Did you not hear the song? Did you not hear the song? That's all it said. You better not ban my peanuts. Yeah.
Then I go, okay, okay. I think I can. I kind of like Angry Dave, to be honest with you. Oh, I don't know about that. I don't know about that either. Did you hear him? He hasn't smoked weed in three days. He's probably, he's probably like got the shakes and stuff. Yeah, he's having a rough one. Because I was thinking. That was an overreaction. That Dave would overreact. A little bit. Maybe he was overreacting. He's passionate, man. There are things that you're passionate about. Yeah, for sure. There's things that we're all passionate about. We don't know what Dave's passionate about. Apparently, peanuts. Now we do. M1 Tom from Vista. Oops. Hi, Tom. Hi, Mikey. How are you?
I'm doing pretty good other than being unemployed. It's a really good life. Besides that, though, Howard. Oh, hey, you know what? If you get unemployment check, you can go down to the fair next Tuesday. Next Tuesday, get them for free. Is that what it is? I hear that. Yesterday and next Tuesday are the only days. Won't that be a proud day to walk up there and show them your unemployment check? Turn it into a proud one. There's a lot of people in your boat. I know. It's weird. I mean, everywhere you go, it's like your story's bad. You know, looking at somebody else's story, it's even worse. So what's up, Tom? I just want to flashback to a good moment when I was watching those people that look like, exactly like the Rolling Stones. Who's that? Those guys at that Fiesta del Sol. Oh, Fiesta del Sol. Oh, my gosh. You saw them? Yeah, I saw them. And, I mean, it was just incredible, man. It was like flashbacks to the 80-something, 1980s show I saw in the 1990s. Do you know the name of them? I think, aren't they called Rolling the Stones? Yeah, I think that's it. Yeah, I like that. I want to see them. Great. And the best part was when the Mick or Jagger guy got off the stage, he had like a flock of girls come up to him. That's great. He was rolling his lips and doing the pose and getting the pictures. It's so great. That's awesome. And then he looked over at me and says, hey, you stand right there. Oh, I want to see it. I do too. I was getting loud and jiggy in front of him, man. It was so good. That's great. Rolling stones. Thank you, Tom. Hey, you guys have a good day. Bye. You too.

You can find him at Create Your Design Online. Really, really incredible work. Just go to the website. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. CreateYourDesignOnline.com. Really good. Gary Coleman, didn't know this, filed a restraining order against his ex-wife. Yes, Shannon Price. We didn't know this until now. Why did he file it? Well, legal documents show that he filed this restraining order back in February and just a few months before he died. And the paper state that Gary claimed Shannon moved back into their home without his consent while he was hospitalized. He also said that Shannon, quote, has shown a tendency to damage, destroy and steal my property. And I believe she will continue to do so in my absence and while she is trespassing in my home. However, he never gave her.
The paperwork. The restraining order. So he got one. It was granted to him. She didn't know? Apparently, that's what the deal is. What a terrible thing to find out after the fact, by the way. The name Shannon, every time I hear it, when I was in high school, I had a crush on a girl named Shannon. Yeah. Who I could never be with. Is that why you made that your radio name years later? Michael Shannon. Is that really why? No. I was like, wow. Do you have a name of a crush that you had? Jonathan Taylor Thomas? No, no, no. A real person. I got everybody I wanted. I slayed everybody. There was a guy named Mike who I really liked. There's always a good looking Mike's. Really? Except in this room. Lauren, who'd you have a crush on? Trevor. I crush all the time. There was that one, like, unique. Trevor. LeBron. I had a crush on Renee. You did? Yeah. How about you, Jay? Robin Cross. What'd he look like? Hot little blonde. Oh, I didn't know. Robin. I had to because I knew it would get Woodsy. It was a cheap laugh. I love cheap laughs. Cheap thrill. You know that. And that's all it was. Hey, speaking of Jay, so listen to this. Jay says, last night.
Kim made fish, macaroni, baked asparagus. All right. Wait. Fish, macaroni, baked asparagus. Now, when you say macaroni, you mean macaroni and cheese or just macaroni? Macaroni. Whoa. Whoa. What are we talking here? What? Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's macaroni and cheese, but she didn't do it like from the mac and cheese craft box. It's macaroni and cheese, but it's... Homemade. Homemade macaroni and cheese. I'm not mad at that. Goat cheese. Yeah, it was fantastic. Jay says it was delicious. Now, here's the deal. He said that when they first met... She could basically burn water. I mean, it was bad. Really bad. And he said that he remembers eating something one time, and it was supposed to be fish, but he said it tasted like sewage. It was terrible. He says he ate as much of it as he could, and she sat down. She took a bite. She started gagging. She took both of their plates, and she started crying. This was when they were first dating, right? It was way back, yeah. Since then, and to this day, he says it still stands as like the worst thing he's ever eaten. I was trying to get it down. But his mom gave her a subscription to a cooking magazine and a bunch of recipes.
She's a phenomenal cook. Oh, good. It just takes time. Practice. Guys, you guys don't realize when we're young and all of a sudden it's like we have to be able to cook for you and we've never really done it before either. Yeah, Rebecca's a good cook, but she gets down on herself that she didn't know how to cook. Yeah. Not a very good cook. You should finish that story though, Mikey. What does it say at the very bottom? He says that he is still a better cook if he does say so himself. I was leaving that part out because I thought, what if Kim's listening? Always was. I could always cook. I can't disagree. I've had his cooking. She made macaroni salad the other night at his birthday party. It was so good. See, listen. There's always that thing, though, that we had to eat in our relationships. Yeah. That we... All right, I'll put it out there that we gagged down. Everyone's done it. That you're eating it and you're like not breathing through your nose. You're like... Like burnt spaghetti. That's great. Did you ever have one of those, Woodsy? Yeah, we had one like three months ago. When was it? Remember the enchilada bit? Oh, that's right. But you told her you didn't like it. Woodsy can be very open with Jamie about cooking.
I can be very open with Jamie about anything. He can let her know. I can let it fly. How is it over there in Perfect Tile? She lets it fly back. We had that talk last night on the couch that, hey, we have that kind of relationship where I can tell you your breath stinks and you can tell me mine stinks. So that's how we are. That's what they do. That's how we roll. That's how we roll Perfect Tile. Those two are tight. That's right. We are tight. Thick as thieves. We're the thick as thieves. We're my best pal, man. I can't do it. You can't tell Rebecca if her breath smells? No. Well, Rebecca's breath doesn't smell anything. If it did, would you tell her? No. What? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What about honest time? Unless she, unless it was like a frequent problem. Unless she was breathing fire. Yeah, if it was a frequent problem. If it did once, I wouldn't, no. I wouldn't. I would want to know. What if you knew you were going to be like out in public? Yeah. At like a dinner party? Oh, if we were out in public. Oh. If we were out in public, see, that's never happened. This is a quandary. If it did, though. Wouldn't you pop over a minute and be like, babe, your breath is going to stink. Yeah. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I love you. See, I'm so freaked out about that. I'll ask you guys. I'll be like, does my breath smell? You know, just because we've talked about bad breath before. And I'll be like, has my breath ever smelled? You guys don't tell me. And everybody says no. Yeah. Is that true? That's true. I've never smelled it. I haven't smelled any of your breath. Thank God. I'm like a compulsive with gum. I have it with me all the time.
I mean, like, she walked out the other day. I told you. She walked out. She had skinny jeans on. She's like, I got these. I was like, yeah, maybe change. I mean, that's how we are. That's how we are. And if I walked out. Did she return them? I don't know. But I was like, yeah, maybe you don't wear that tonight. I mean, that's how we are at my house. Like, I'm going to let it flow. She lets it flow right back at me. Believe me. Got anything great going on in your life? Call and tell us about it. We do M1 Sound Off every once in a while where we let you call. When they're real, you know. Woods. I'm a napper. I love to nap now. Lauren. Yep. I admit that I'm wrong. And Jay. I love that sappy movie. On FM 94.9. Last night while watching George Jones clips on YouTube, I found this. Imagine.
I was watching George Jones because I've never seen him perform live. I'd, you know, not record on TV. So I just wanted to see what he was like performing live. So I'm watching him on YouTube. I'm like, I think he may seem better live than he does on the records. Yeah, maybe. Some people are like that. It's a trip, right? They are better live than they record. Listen to that. Oh, dude. I can't even tell you. I love his voice so much. Oh, I love that old country. Me too. The words. Oh, the words. They just. Oh, I love the words. They're so sweet. I bet he smelled like bacon. Oh, I bet he did. And syrup. Hickory smoke. And syrup. And syrup. Yeah, 100%. You think that man was particular about his syrup? And his sausage? Yeah. Jim and Dean. Absolutely he was. That guy had a very particular taste for his sausage, I bet, and his syrup. Jim and Dean. And his whiskey. And his whiskey. McClure's. McClure's. Hmm. I'll take McClure's if you got it. A beer back. A beer back and, uh, maybe I'll have a pint of Old Harper, too. Old Harper. Old Harper. Take a pint of Old Harper and a pack of Marlboros. A pack of Marlboros. Give me a... No, it's Marlboro gold.
Marlboro Gold. She probably hates that. M1 Servant Warrior from La Mesa, what are you happy about? Well, Mikey, about two years ago, my wife and I were separated. I was pretty sure that we were not going to get back together because I had a lot of problems going into our marriage. And at the end of December, beginning of January, after about a year and a half of being separated, we reunited. And then also on the 13th of this month, The two of us got our black belts together. Wow. Nice, dude. That's awesome. That is the feel-good story of the year. Good for you. Like I said, when you go through something real rough, you don't think you're going to see any good hope or whatever on the other side of it. When you finally get there, it makes all the difference. Good for you. Congratulations, man. I like that. Thank you, bro. Appreciate it. Yeah, you got something really that's making you smile today? Call us, 570-1949. Let's see. M1 Chris from La Jolla wants some advice. Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. What are you looking for advice on? Well, actually, I'm just newly single. And kind of for the past year, I've been dating someone who's been awfully neglectful.
And I'm looking to have some fun this summer and maybe date a little bit and get out a little bit more often. So the guy that you have been dating is not doing a very good job in the dating you department. Yes. And so you've basically served him notice. Oh, yes. He's been served. Good for you. He got served. And you are now going to hit the streets. Yeah. He's going to while out. You're going to while out. Summer of Chris. So, Chris, what exactly kind of advice are you looking for? Because it sounds like you may have it worked out. Well, I'm kind of wondering where I can meet somebody a little bit closer to my own age. I'm aware that some of the bars are a lot of 20-somethings, and that's not my age group. And I'm just kind of looking for a little advice where I can meet somebody, you know, with like-minded interests. Can I give you advice from a 40-year-old? And, by the way, a 40-year-old that... Hasn't been single for a long time, so what do I know? Yeah, sure. But I say you get, you grab a girlfriend and you head on down to some, you know, place like Epizodi or that kind of deal. What? What's wrong with that? Why? I was going to say like a sports, like a game, like a Padre game. You could have just stopped and grabbed a girlfriend. Why wouldn't you go grab a drink somewhere? I just don't. I mean, I know what happens for people.
There's exceptions. I just, I've never really met that quality person out of a bar experience. I haven't either. You know, you've been in a bad divorce for me. Chris, how old are you, my dear? I'm 36. 36. What are you going to do? I say it depends on what her interests are and join like an adult league or join some sort of like club or class or something and tap your resources, you know, talk to your friends. Why are you against that, Woodsy? I don't know. I mean. I don't know. Hey, the worst thing that happens is you have fun. Yeah. I had a friend that joined the Vavi kickball team. Yeah, I joined Vavi. And she met all kinds of guys. Do you like sports, Chris? Yeah, they're all right. I spend a lot of time in the outdoors. I'm really into animals. I work with people's animals. So it'd be nice if I found somebody that really liked dogs. Hey, listen, I'm going to throw this out here. Go to the dog park. Dog park. Yeah. Dog beach, dog park. I'm prepared for the judgment that's about to come down upon me. I'm prepared for the judging eyes. I got a good-looking friend and another good-looking friend that were going to their...
wedding in September, and they met on eHarmony. Yeah. I've been thinking about this. Yeah, you might as well give it a try. You gotta watch out. There's a lot, I have a lot of friends, weird, that are creeps on eHarmony. Well, more on Match. There's more, like, hooking up, going on on Match. eHarmony may be a better solution. eHarmony is more, seems like it's a little bit for a little older demographic. Uh, E-Creep. Or, have you tried E-Creep? Or, E-Creeper? She's been dating some creeps. My cousin was on Plenty of Fish, which is one of the free dating websites. And he's in his mid-40s. And he just married the girl that he found. Wow. Literally. And there's a thing actually called, it's just lunch. Yeah, it's just lunch. You just go to, there's not a little pressure. That might be a good idea. Yeah. That is so. Because I'm friendly and I meet people. You sound friendly. I'm not meeting people that I want to date. Yeah. My brother has this theory and he read a book to support it. And it's a book called He's Scared, She's Scared. My brother has this theory that most people today, there's a new generation of people coming up now that are extraordinarily afraid of commitment. By the way, the divorce rate.
has risen. Oh gosh, really? Yeah. More than half now? Yeah. It's over 60%. Oh my goodness. Here in California. In fact, in California, the divorce rate I think now is close to 70. Wow. So depressing. It is depressing. The reason that it's depressing is because people are so afraid. There's a lot of fear and the fear of commitment, the fear that, and I think that that's part of it. You know, we hear about the, bad stories and it scares the crap out of us. But what I would say is that there are still success stories. You may try that eHarmony. It may work for you. Yeah. You know what I mean? Don't look for it. Don't look for it. It'll find you. It's easier said than done. Well, concentrate on making yourself the best that you can be and you will exude confidence and attractiveness. And you're a girl. You'll attract the right person. You're a girl. It's worse for guys. Trust me. Is it? Yes. Thanks, Chris. So you've been a girl before, Woods? No, but hey, if you guys, any girl in this room want to go get slayed right now, she could. That's not what she's talking about. I know. I'm just saying it's easier to meet people if you are a girl. One thousand percent. I would think so, too, because you don't have to do the asking. You just have to be good looking. Sit there and be hot. You still have to be in the right place to meet the right person.
Imagine if, yeah, see, guys have the same problem. It's just that they got to do the asking. We got to do the asking. You guys get to do the rejecting. Yeah, you get to sit there and look pretty and we're like. Not always. And you get to go and you get to, you get to do the head turn to the side and go. No. Whereas guys, they got to figure out where are we going to go? Secondly, how are we not going to come off like we're walking up to you and we're like, hey, can you help me put this couch? LOB did it last week. Remember the kiosk? Cell phone kiosk. Oh, that's right. Got rejected real sweet. That is true. So girls do it too, you guys don't realize. That is true. Let's see. Hillary just walked into the room, and Hillary probably wouldn't have any problems, right, if she was still single. Probably wouldn't have any problems. You know, I have a few friends that have done the online dating and really like it, and I think there's way less of a stigma attached to it now. Yeah, for sure. It's a lot more popular.
Had friends have some good success. Me too. It's not like it used to be. It's not, man. It's not a big deal. It's not a personal ad in the back of the paper anymore. Classified ad. Classified ad. You'd be like, dude, what are you, a creepy paper? You disgusting pig. I know. It's not like that. Might as well put your phone number on a bathroom wall. Yeah, exactly. Like, come on, man. Call for a good time. Let's see. Hillary, what do you got coming up? Oh, I grabbed Tempered Trap and Rogue Wave and the Black Keys and the new Dave Matthews song, Better Not Ban My Peanut. Better Not Ban My Peanut. That's a good one. That's really good. Play that at night, though. Play that at night. Play it late at night. On Halloween. I got an email from... Maybe we let Dave take us out today. I don't know. Eskimo Bluewater emailed me. She said she has a gig tonight in La Jolla. Does she? She's like busking or something. So I might play one of her songs. Should be good. All right. Well, Dave, you want to take us out with your song? Oh, do it, buddy. Why don't you give us just...
A couple of quick seconds. Rendition of... Everyone brace yourself. Better not ban my penis. It's too close to penis. I know. It is. That's what I thought he was saying. First few times he played it, I was like, I'm not trying to ban your penis. That's true, man. Dave, it's okay, honey. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Enjoy your day. We'll see you back here tomorrow at 6. Late. Financial media station in the morning about the music all day and night. It's about the music.
