I'm 41 years old and Mexican and with a shaved head. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. It's an honor. It's truly an honor. Woodsy is our sports guy, and he is 35 years of age. He's wearing his Kings and Leon t-shirt today. He's ready to go. And he's going to be 36 this week. So feast. He'll be 36 tomorrow. How about that? Yeah. L.O.B. is our assistant producer. And her name is Lauren O'Brien. She's a comedian. And blondie. And broke her iPhone. And we'll tell you all about it. Well, the iPhone's broken. Well, yeah. You didn't break it. But we'll tell you all about it. Oh, boy. Jay is our producer. He's 48 years of age.
Went to take care of his mom this weekend. Sure did. In Texas, allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. Really? Some holes in that story. Well, some say he may have gone to Harry Potter. You guys are stupid. Premier. And our phone screener is Chris. It's Chris! Word of the day, today is brisket. So when I say brisket, sometime between now and 10, caller 9 will get... A pair of single day tickets to the sold out 2011 Comic Con. Whoa. Greetings. Greetings. From July 21st to July 24th. So how about that? I got a bonus. Now, we're going to do wheel of paint at eight. We'll spin our actual wheel. Thank you. And whatever comes up on, you know, Jay or Woods are going to have to take that paint. Perfect. By the way, if you go to MikeyShow.com, you will see a countdown clock right now. It reads 10 days, 13 hours, 55 minutes until the Wipeout Viewing Party. Can't wait. Dave and Buster's Mission Valley, Thursday, July 28th from 7 to 9 p.m. Everybody invited. Jay and Woods are going to be on ABC's Wipeout. How about that? It's crazy. Yep.
So we want everybody to come out there and watch it with us. Call, anything you want to talk about, anything that happened in the news. L.O.B.'s boyfriend, Matt Commerce, BFMC, boyfriend Matt Commerce, he was on a few moments ago on television on NBC San Diego. He's a singer, a sharp guy, and we're going to play the audio here in just a minute. So hang on. We'll play it for you. We got people calling in right now. M1 Elizabeth on the line from San Diego. What's going on? Did you say M1? Yes, M1 Elizabeth. Are you not an M1? No, I'm your family Facebook commenter. I was told to call in. You were told to call in? This is Elizabeth Roberts. Yeah, I said she's got to be if she can call in. I saw we have open phones. Okay. She said she wanted to call in. I said, call in. When did she say that? Friday, maybe. Okay. What were you calling about, Elizabeth? Wait a minute. Elizabeth Trapp-Roberts? Yeah. I thought you were a friend of the Mikey show. And an M1. No, I'm a friend. Oh, God. Whoever said I was an M1 is crazy. I've never wanted a show on 94.9 in the beginning, so.
I knew, well, I knew that. I knew that for sure, Elizabeth, but I thought that you came around, and I remember you came out to our first appearance that we did, and you were super sweet. You don't have to not like the people. I don't like the show. Does that make sense? Yeah, that makes sense. You don't like the Mikey show, but you do like us personally. Yeah. That makes sense. Don't like views. Don't like views. Some views I don't like. I have a problem with some of your views. Yes, Mikey. That's okay. Me too. Yeah, a lot of people do. And that's okay. I mean, some people, you know, we try to have different opinions and views here on the show. So we were hoping, well, the hope is that there are people that do sort of reflect your views. You know, and we all have different opinions. Our hope is that you like hanging out with us just like you would like hanging out with any group of friends. And even with your own group of friends, you don't all necessarily.
agree on the same stuff. No. Elizabeth, I thought that you were a listener and that you were an M1. I remember our first meet and greet that we had, you came out, you brought your daughter, we met your husband, your daughter, and you, and you were so sweet and kind, and I thought that we had won you over. But that's okay. That's okay if we had not. You know, everybody's got, you know, you have personal tastes, and I can appreciate that. But what was going on that got you to call? What was going on? Well, first, I live in Iowa, so I don't listen to you guys anyway. But I live in Iowa, so I heard around that there was some talk about anti-gay sentiment. However, I did listen. I don't think it was anti-gay necessarily. I just think that sometimes you have to curb what you say on the radio. I know that you may not like it, but sometimes you have to not say certain things.
change who you are as a gay or bisexual person by your faith? I don't understand that. I don't understand how you can say that. I don't think it's okay. Well, here's the thing. You know, I was talking to my wife about it, and I guess I agree and I disagree. The only time that I talk about that stuff is when it's two times, when I'm asked or when it's a news story. It was a news story last week because public schools decided that they were going to, public schools are going to start teaching about homosexual leaders and stuff like that in public schools. Gay leaders. Gay leaders. Can't say homosexual anymore. Yes, gay leaders. We got the memo. Gay leaders. That's sort of what brought the topic of homosexuality up. And then we started talking about it. And the truth is, is that I guess I'm like everybody else. I really don't care what you do in your bedroom. I really don't. And certainly when it comes to homosexuality, gays, gays themselves. What is wrong with the word homosexuality? We got a we got a.
From the gay and lesbian organization, we actually got a, it was like a file that they use that's used with media and things like that. From the gay and lesbian organization where they actually tell you what should and should not be said. And they say that the term homosexual is now deemed sort of outdated and offensive. Okay, I don't have much time because my daughter has speech therapy in a couple minutes. But my beef, I have a question. Okay, I need you to clarify just a little bit of something, Mikey. Sure. You had said that your faith is what you believe changes people. Say a person is gay, and through faith they can be changed. But faith for you has nothing to do with religion. Can you clarify that a little bit? Because that doesn't make quite much sense to me. It isn't that faith doesn't have to do with religion. Okay. Faith does have to do with religion. What I meant by I don't like religion is that religion is often in the same category as people that are kind of lame. And they don't really, they haven't really read the Bible, but they know. If you're not a Christian, does that mean? Hang on.
Elizabeth, please, gosh darn, the only thing I'm going to ask you is let me finish. Well, you don't let me finish or other people that talk on the phone. I might as well just, you know, I don't have much time. I haven't at all. I've let you say everything. I haven't interrupted you. But I was in the middle of answering the question and you got all mad at me. And no, I'm just wanting clarification. Go ahead, finish what you're saying. Absolutely. So anyway, I believe. that people that are religious are people that know just enough to be dangerous. They've read just enough of the Bible to be dangerous, but they don't really, they've read little bits and pieces here, and so they say things that are ignorant. And religion, the very definition of religion many times is, oh, I'm better than you. I look down my nose at you. Oh, I'm better because I'm a Christian, and I hate that crap. I hate that stuff. And I don't think it brings people any closer to being saved. But anyway, back to your original question. Do I believe that a homosexual, through faith and the Holy Spirit, can no longer engage in homosexual sex? Yes. Does that mean that they're still gay? Yes, they are still gay.
It just means that they don't engage in homosexual sex. I am still an alcoholic. I'm still an alcoholic. I just don't get drunk and I don't drink. But I'm still an alcoholic. I don't think alcoholism and being gay isn't the same thing. Do you have family or friends who are gay? Yes. And do they share that same point of view with you? Well, of course not. Of course not. Now, there are many people that I know that are also... See, this was the question, though, Elizabeth. The question was... do I believe that the act of homosexual sex is right or wrong? And I believe that it's wrong. Okay, that's it. And I don't shove that in people's faces, and I don't, that's it. But you did on radio last week. Yeah, I was simply responding to people's questions. And I respond to questions, no doubt about it. I'll respond to questions, but I don't wear T-shirts that say,
how I feel about it. I would never be one of those people out on the streets with a yes on eight sign. I think that stuff's lame. I don't think it helps. In fact, I think it's so stupid on both sides. I only respond to it when I'm asked about it. And I'm allowed to have my feelings. There are people here on the show that starkly disagree with my feelings about whether it's right or wrong. But somebody said on Facebook, they said, Mikey, if you say that you can love someone that's homosexual that's like saying you could love a prostitute but not like the fact that she's selling her body and i said um well that's true i would love a prostitute in fact i know a prostitute and i think that she's a really really sweet person and i hope that one day she turns away from what she did Or what she's doing. And Jesus loved prostitutes. So that, I mean, I wanted to say to the guy, what's your point? Like, you wouldn't love a prostitute? Like, what would you do? Hate her? You know, turn your back on her? I do love... I don't think that you hate anyone or don't like the person because they are gay or anything. But it's just, it's really... Did you have a choice to decide if you were going to be straight? No, I did not.
I am simply attracted to it's wrong. Say again. Who told you that being gay is wrong? God. Right. Because you have a Christian belief. Is that correct? Yes, ma'am. Other faiths that believe that it's wrong as well. No, they're not. Well, every faith believes that it's wrong. There are no faiths that believe that it's OK. Right. But say a person, not myself, because I have different beliefs, but say a person is not of any faith. And they are gay and they are OK about it. Does that make them wrong? Well, in my opinion, it makes them wrong about the act of homosexuality, but it doesn't make them bad. Like, you know, like I'm still I wouldn't I would still be friends with them and I would still love them. And I would still I mean, all we're talking about is the act. And I think the act is and I think the act is wrong. And I'm not a bigot because I think the act is wrong. And you think the act is loving and kind and OK. And all right, that's fine. We disagree. But I mean, if there's anybody that seems not loving and acting and OK, then my two aunts would be what? If my son were gay, it's not going to sway my opinion about the act.
And I have to and I have to boldly stand in front of you and say, you're not going to change my mind on that. And it's not fair for that. It's not fair for you to be upset at me because I would still love my son. I would still love, love, love my son. I didn't ask you about your son. You're asking me about your aunt. And so I'm trying to take them out of the equation. Two people. They love each other very much. And the way they show love, just like to, you know. opposite sex people like my husband and myself, you and your wife, other people and their boyfriend or girlfriend, they show love through procreation, correct? Right. They copulate. They just copulate in a different way. And they show love like that. And so I don't know how that is wrong. And that's why I'm having a hard time understanding your point of view. Wait a minute. You just said to me that they show love through procreation, but... But, Gabe, I'm using your words, not mine. I misspoke, so go ahead and go off on that tangent. Why are you angry at me? See, I mean, I'm not even arguing, Elizabeth. I'm not. I'm talking with you. You said you wanted a candid conversation. I'm giving it to you. I know, but you're, like, angry at me. I'm smiling. How am I angry? You sound very confrontational. Oh, if I could come in there.
I would. I am in Iowa. Speaking of which, Woods, I did see something that I took a picture of and I've yet to post it. It's a get and go. Oh, perfect. I'm going to need to see that immediately. And possibly a t-shirt from said establishment. I'm so sad because I really... Elizabeth was such an example of someone that I thought enjoyed the show. I agree with you. And I never enjoyed the show. Tell me one person who thinks that I enjoyed the show by... I didn't know. I didn't know. I'm so sorry. Elizabeth. We're so sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know. I'm sorry. I didn't. I apologize that I wasn't aware of how much you disliked the show. You know what else I'm sorry for? And I mean this. I'm sorry. I'm going to tell you the honest truth, Elizabeth. I mean this. I'm sorry about your anger. And I mean that. You really? Oh, man. You're an angry lady. Because Mikey and them are going to make fun of you. I'm not making fun. Nobody's making fun of you. I'm not making fun of you. I thought, I mean, I'm not making fun of you. If anything, you've just, I mean, I'm so sorry. Oh, I'm sorry, too. I'm sorry you think I'm angry. All right. Well, I've got to go because my daughter's speech therapist is here. This has wasted enough of my time, I'm sure enough of your time, and enough of the listeners' time. Okay. Have a good day. All right. I love you. Thank you.
I love you and it doesn't change the fact that I love you and I'm going to keep loving you. What do you think of that? Gosh darn, that's just mean. I don't think she's being mean. I think she's just very, she feels very strongly about her point. And I happen to agree with her. I get that, but we don't have, I mean, we're just talking about it. She gets all emotional because, you know, people I think get hung up. They can't immediately react with you because you can keep going. People have their hot buttons. personal to her so she's taking personal offense to her right yeah yeah so my deal is listen i can't argue with you on something that mike said call in we got open phones here's the number feel free and she said oh you think i won't and i'm like i don't think that i know that you will here's the number call in we'll talk to you monday i'm glad you took her call because you know if not it would have been the end of the world but yeah you know it's just like i you know you can't can't beat yourself up about it everybody's entitled to their own opinion man Yeah, I think the only thing that really bums me out is the absolute just, it sounds like there's anger. Well, dude, go to the Facebook page and read the posts. I mean, there's a lot of anger there. And for her to say that she's not angry. On our fan page? No, no, no. From her. I'm saying her post. On our fan page? No, on 94.9. Read her post. You can do whatever you want. Why do I go there? Because I work here.
I know I do too, but it doesn't look like a very friendly. It's like walking in. It's okay. It doesn't bother me. Because the internet, it does bother you. No, it doesn't. It does too. It used to. It doesn't anymore. I think you admitted to me that it bothered you last week because you said people say things bad about me and it bothers you. That bothers me. It doesn't bother me when they say anything about me. Okay, that's something that bothers you. It's okay. I'm entitled to go there. You are. You are. You 100% are. Everybody calm down. But you realize that that call wouldn't have happened if you didn't go there. Maybe. That's a true fact. Not necessarily. No, that is a true fact. Well, my fault then. You could say if you, we didn't have that conversation on, if you guys didn't have that conversation on Friday, that, you know, that phone call. Well, we're reporting the news. Fair enough. Reporting the news. But see, I think of the internet like a neighborhood. And right now, and for a while, the FM 94.9 fan page has been like a very, um. It's been like a restaurant that we are not very welcome in. Now, I believe because I've been doing this for a while, I believe that at some point that will change. But for right now, it's not. If you walk into that restaurant that's a bar and grill, there are going to be some people in there that are belligerent. And you intelligently and intellectually know that some of those people are going to go, what are you doing here, dick? Now.
If you're the type of person that can love them back when they do that, great. But if you're the type of person that likes to mix it up, maybe don't go in there. That's my personal opinion. Woods, you're free to do whatever you want. Thanks. But that's what happens, man. I'm not taking the heat for her calling in, bro. She would have never called in if you hadn't said what you said. No, she wouldn't have called in if you hadn't have said, if you feel that way, call Mike, call in. Well, you say anybody can call anytime. I said, if you got a problem, you call us. They absolutely. In fact, I've told Chris, our phone screener, dude, don't screen out the bad stuff. I want it all. Absolutely. I want everything. I mean, if people call. Yeah. Yeah. But I mean, I didn't set her up for an interview and send her the hotline number or anything. I just said, hey, feel free to call in. We'll be there. I understand. It was just the first thing out of her mouth was, Woods told me to call, so I'm calling. And I'm like, oh, boy, okay. You know, I do believe that that fan site or that the FM 94.9 webpage will be a safe environment. But for now, there's still people that are, you know, like to mix it up. It's always going to be a mix-up in there because your beliefs don't match with the rest of the radio station's beliefs.
Well, it's funny. It was really quiet for about six months. And I mean nothing. Well, anytime we talk about the gay life, you're going to get, you know, there's going to be riled up people because they're being persecuted for who they are. And with the layoffs last week. You know what's really interesting? So am I. Oh, yeah. Well, yeah, but. So am I. They don't have a forum like a radio show. Yeah. To go on. And you do. And that's their radio show. You're not. No. No gay person is coming up to you going, you Jesus freak. And I'm not walking up to any gay people and saying you gay freak. But as soon as the topic comes up, you say gay freak. No, you just go into your, you know, hey, I think it's wrong. I mean, I wasn't here on Friday, so I don't know. I just kind of gleaned what was going on. And I was like, oh, gosh, I wish I'd have been there. Yeah, man. I mean, I'll tell you what I think is unfair. What I think is unfair is that there is a bias. in our culture that says gay lifestyle, that, you know, gay sex is okay. And if you don't believe that, you're a bigot. And that's not true because I'm not a bigot. And not only am I not a bigot, I'm entitled to that. And if that doesn't match up with something, I'm never going to change my mind. I'm never going to change my mind. And if it means...
If you take from that and then you take it a step further and you think that I somehow have dislike for a person, you're so dead wrong. That is so not true. That is absolutely not true. It's just not true. And, you know, I'm conservative. Everyone knows that I'm conservative and that's not going to change. Someone could disagree, like, you know, someone who is gay could disagree with something that I do in my bedroom. They think it's weird or kinky or any number of things. Go on. Yeah. But it's such a defining characteristic of that person. It's not just one aspect of what they do. It's not like, well, they do like a knitting class and you don't agree with that. So it feels very personal to that person. Like, okay, well, you don't like me because that is so much of who I am, you know. And I'm not speaking from experience because I'm not gay, but. I have friends that are gay, and if you're saying I disagree with the act, I think that that's a very personal thing for them. That's not... Okay. And I understand that. But I can't change my mind. Right. And when it comes up... You don't have to. When it comes up, I certainly can't change my mind. You know, when it comes up on the air. Oh, absolutely. I don't bring it up as a, you know, hey, let's go round and round about this. 570.
One ninety four nine. Let's see. M1 Mike Foster from Carlsbad. What's up? Good morning. Thank you for having me on the show. Just preface it by saying I've never called in and I don't really listen to the show. I just happened to tune it in this morning and was struck by the conversation as very important and relevant for today. Last Thursday I was outside the San Diego Ikea and I was coming out with a bunch of baby furniture. And there were a couple of young folks outside getting signatures for the proposition, I believe, to overturn Proposition 8. They're trying to get signatures for the ballot. And the guy asked me if I supported gay marriage, and I politely said no. And he got in my face and he said, why? And immediately it was like you guys were pointing out, it was a hot-button issue. And I just didn't say anything to him and kind of walked away.
And I just wanted to share that I was kind of afraid, basically, to let him know how I feel, which is kind of like you feel, Mike, about it being morally wrong. And it's not supported in Scripture. It's a choice. It's not something that they don't have any choice about. Being a former drug addict or continuing colic like yourself, I can relate to that, that when I was drinking and using, I would have said anything to justify it. And I've come to a different point that it was a lifestyle choice. It was something that I did to cover up a whole bunch of other problems in my life. And once we get real about confronting those other problems, we kind of see the lifestyle choices that we make in a different light. And sometimes that comes through, you know, conscience. Sometimes that comes through intervention. You know, there's a whole bunch of shows on TV where it's okay, you know, to...
to engage in activity, to get somebody to realize the truth of lifestyle choices. Hey, bro, I got to cut you off. I got to cut you off, but I appreciate the call. I understand where you're going with it. Appreciate it. If I went on the air and I said, there's nothing wrong with being gay. I get applause. Everything's great. If I say, I believe that that particular act is wrong, I'm suddenly, I'm a jerk. I'm not allowed to think that. My culture says you can't think that. If you think that, I'm going to attack you. It's like that guy said. They asked, hey, you want to sign this? He says no. Bam. Well, I think I actually do fit this radio station better. I think I actually do fit this radio station. I'll tell you why. Because this radio station stands for open-mindedness. This radio station stands for counterculture. I don't think there's anything more counterculture right now.
than somebody saying, oh, yeah, I think that's wrong. We get to talk about Casey Anthony or World Cup or the FMC, Lauren's boyfriend, Matt Commerce, on television this morning, or how much weirder that mansion and Coronado story got. All of that coming up. Oh, my God, it's better than I thought. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. 570-1949 or shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com. Again, the word of the day is brisket. When I weave that into a sentence, caller number nine is going to get a pair of single-day tickets to Comic-Con, which is sold out. Here's how Wheel of Pain works. I'm going to give Jay and Woods band names. Some of them I've made up. Some of them are real. They have to determine whether they're real or made up.
Loser has to spin the wheel of pain. So Casey Anthony got released from jail over the weekend. And I think it makes sense the way that they did it. Midnight. The release date was Sunday. And that was the 17th, yesterday. And they did. They did it at midnight. Midnight Eastern Time. Jose Baez, her attorney, he had a SUV. waiting right outside of the courtroom or outside of the jail, the county jail. And they had cops in vests with automatic weapons behind her. She did not have automatic weapons or vests on, which I thought she would have a vest on. She didn't. She was wearing jeans and a pink top and tennis shoes. And she was following Jose Baez.
Straight line, right to the SUV, got in the car, and they got on the freeway. Holy cow. That lady was really into it. Man. You're going to burn it out. Wow. She must have had a t-shirt made, set aside time. Listen, I'd like to go to that Amway party. I can't make it. I can't. I need you to run to the store hunt. I need you to get me a poster board and some markers. I need poster board markers. I got to tell this bee she's going to burn it out. Crazy. Not saying I don't agree with her. I do think that there is a level of weirdness to showing up there. At midnight? Did you just get there at midnight? Mom, thanks for making my lunch. People have been camped out for hours. In a thunderstorm. There is cops on horseback too around the perimeter. LOB showed me a picture of Casey inside the SUV with this real weird big smile on her face. Freedom!
Kind of hot. She is? I mean, she's pretty. That just spun L.O.B. out. You just said that, and she put her hand up to her mouth like, oh, my gosh. I don't even. I can't even look at you. Yeah, my wife had some issues with my jokey jokes, too. You know? About her being attractive? Yeah, about her being cute, you know, and Rebecca's like, you know, maybe you don't say that she's hot. And I did not say that she's hot. Sorry, cute. She doesn't deserve a compliment for the rest of her life. She was acquitted. Was she? Even Woods. Even Woods. Jury of her peers. Okay, she was found not guilty of murder. Right. It doesn't say that anything else she did is righteous. Hey, listen, sorry. Part of the reason that this was so interesting is because she's beautiful. Is she? Isn't she?
She's a monster. There's no doubt about it. She's an evil monster, but she's beautiful. If you guys saw her, I saw that woman walk out of the jail. If you saw her just walk out of a gas station or something, you wouldn't even look twice. She didn't move her arms when she walks. I do agree with you. I believe we would look three or four times. Yes. What do you do? Thank you. What's the matter with you people? I was joking. Don't you know a joke when you hear one? Afraid you're wrong. I'm sorry. I don't. I don't mean to burst your bubble. She has porn coming out of her head. She's an evil person. There's no doubt about it. But part of the reason that it was so interesting was because Casey Anthony was physically very pretty. Well, she was acquitted, too. No. She's a monster. She's acquitted. She is. She is a monster. She's single and ready to mingle. Oh, no. You're just getting L.O.B. You're trying to now. It's my goal. That's what I live for. It's working.
Speaking of LLB, her boyfriend, Matt Commerce, is a local musician and was on television this morning. Hope Solo tweeting this morning, I will embrace this silver medal and give my utmost respect to Japan. So she's busy tweeting away. Well, NBC7 is looking for San Diego's favorite voice, as you see here. Five winners will get VIP auditions to the... L.A. casting calls next month for a chance to perform on the new hit NBC show. We asked our local music bloggers from San Diego to tell us. So if he gets this, he could be on The Voice? He will get, like, he won't have to stand in line or anything like that. He's a guaranteed audition. That's rad. They think the top ten voices in San Diego are and get to pick the five winners. You get to pick the five winners, that is. Now, we'll be bringing you two contestants each morning this week, and you have the chance to go to our Facebook page in order to vote for your favorite. Yeah, okay, here are our first two contestants. Matt Commerce versus the ambassador. Yeah! Yeah! I've been watching you. Handsome. Yes. Look at those arms. Dude looks good.
One look and it's not hard to tell. Very sultry. It is. Somewhere else. And I know it's not my place. This is the original song. But it seems like such a way. And I said, Lord. That's not mad. That's not mad. This is a different guy. Competition. Don't waste time on me, yeah. It could last forever, baby. Rick will vanish quickly for the day when love comes back to me to stay. Love come running back. Okay, that was Matt Commerce first. What do we do? If you saw the ambassador to vote for your favorite, go to Facebook.com slash NBC San Diego. You have to like us. Then click on San Diego's favorite voice. We have to get him to win. Well, then you click on Matt Commerce. Easy as that. You have to vote for him. Facebook.com.
slash NBC San Diego. And then you got to like the page and vote for Matt. And you can only vote up until 4.30 in the morning tomorrow because then they'll be on to the next two. So you got to vote for him today. Come on, Nation. Let's get it done. M1 Nation, this is where we show our muscle. This is where we shine right now. I have it on my Facebook page right now. That's rad. That's rad. You got to get this done. As we said earlier, the United States women made it all the way to the finals, didn't they? Yeah, they sure did, pal. And, you know, I got a text from an M1 that's a big soccer fan, and she said, this is why people in the U.S. won't watch soccer. You know why? Why? After they played the match, they ended up in a tie. What do they do? Do they go to overtime to find a winner? No, they do penalty kicks. And they did a penalty kick thing, and it was... It was lame. So you don't leave it up to a team. You leave it up to a person. Well, it was lame. It was like, all right, so we're playing baseball. They're in the World Series. And it's 7-7 in the bottom of the ninth. And you get the outs. And so it doesn't go to the 10th inning. You just have a home run derby. So you can hit the most home runs. Or you kick field goals. I love it. Or you do a free throw contest after you've already played a game. It's absurd. Wow. It's absurd. I love it. It doesn't seem right. It's ridiculous. Yeah.
Which is, again, yet another reason people don't really like soccer that much. We have her here if you want to talk to her. Oh, sure. It's the goalie from the Japanese team. Oh, okay, yeah. It's Ayumi Kaihori. Welcome. Thanks, sir, for coming on the program. I know you probably had a rough night last night. Oh, you got it? Okay, you want to interpret? Yeah. It was a tough night, yes, but also very wondrously happy. Did you have some champagne last night? We had many champagne, yes. What does this mean for the nation of Japan that has just been ravaged by tsunamis? How good does it feel to bring this thing home? I am so glad you asked this question. I find that this will bring honor back to the nation of Japan. Absolutely. At our expense. I was not done. Oh, I'm sorry. They were so happy that we were able to do this for our nation. And we also think that Japan is now a wonderful place again. He said all that? Are you done now? Yes, she's done. Okay, she's done. Well, listen, thank you very much. You played a very good game. You're welcome.
Wow, there you go. That was Ayumi Kaihori. Thank you, Ayumi. This deal with Harry Potter, I know, Woods, but it's really a big deal. Do you understand that it broke records over the weekend? That it broke records, Woods. Listen, as much as we may want to not care about Harry Potter, the country does. Not only does the country care about Harry Potter, but they went and saw Harry Potter in such droves that it broke records previously held by... I'm trying to find it. Where is my... Let me see. Previously held by, I believe, the Spider-Man franchise. The Batman franchise. You probably saw it already. Where is it?
It's probably at the very back where the entertainment stories are. Yes. Second to last. You know that. Did you see it yet, Jay? Nope, not yet. I'm gonna. 43.5 million dollars. They finished Friday with 92.1 million dollars. So worth it. Okay, now that blew the record of the Twilight Saga's new moon. Which made 72 mil. That's what it says here. Wow. 92 million dollars. This is kind of interesting. Cross went and saw it and said something sort of interesting. He said that he did something that I think will surprise you. He was, A, annoyed with the person that was eating popcorn behind him.
Really loud. Gets a smacker. We're rubbing off on it. A smacker, you know. And he was also upset about the kids that kept running up and down the stairs. But it's this next item that upset him to the point where he complained to management. Our sweet Chris complained that the surround sound was not properly adjusted for the film. Easy, Mikey. Yeah, easy, Mike. He got up. And went to speak to the people in charge at the Harry Potter movie. Yeah. And he asked them to adjust the surround sound. Get in here. Chris is coming in. Wow. Chris is coming in. Somebody's a pothead. Harry pothead. Sit down, Chris. You silly sausage. What did they say to you?
They said they would fix it. Wait, wait, wait. So they acknowledged that you were right? They went inside. They tested it out. They came outside with me on the walkie-talkie. Hey, we need to sound up a little bit in Theater 18. And so I thought it was going to be all fixed. I walked back in after going to the bathroom. Same thing. Did you say, hey, man, Dumbledore dropped that thing. He dropped his wizard stick. And it should have come out of the left channel behind me. Because that's where he dropped it. Also, one of the witches of Eastwick flew from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen. Eastwick. Eastwick. And then Gollum. And Gollum was standing over there. And Frodo and Dildo Baggins was over there. And I should have heard that from the right side. The land of Vulcan. Right. There was no base. There was no bass? There was no bass. Where did it go? Where did it go? Where did the bass go? Gotta have bass. I'm sorry, but theater sound is very important. Of course it is. It's why you go to the theater sound. It's why you go. Experience. I thought you would go to meet all the hot chicks that would be there. You don't meet hot chicks. There are hot chicks that like Harry Potter. Absolutely. A little bee's a hot chick. My wife's a hot chick. They like Harry Potter. No, they don't.
Yes, they do. You are a clown. I'm not a pothead, but I like Harry Potter. What about your wife, Kim, Jay? Kim loves it. Maddie loves it. These are all good-looking girls. They're well-made movies. They're well-made. Much like Lord of the Rings. Just because you can't understand them, Woods, it's okay. So is a Vera Wang wedding dress. I'm not going to put one of those on either. Fair enough, aren't you? All right. Got me there. As long as it has pockets, you're in. Yes. Well, there you go. So that was... Look at Chris. Look at Chris. Taking the law into his own hands. Yeah. Giant balls on my kid. Can you imagine if he was just cursing and yelling? Never heard that kid ever raise his voice even. Never once. Never. I just thought it was weird that Jay ended up missing the day after the premiere. Right. And none of us heard from him. Well, there was wide speculation on the FM 94.9 fan page that Jay was either at Gay Pride or he was at the Harry Potter premiere. Yeah, because I texted him Friday just to see how things were going. I actually didn't get a text back from Jay until Sunday. Yep.
Yeah, now how does that lend itself to the theory that he was at Potter, though? Because he could have been at Potter all day. He could have gone two or three times. And then gone to the beach and had a barbecue. I mean, here's the deal. I'm from Texas, too. When I go home, I get service. Oh, I had service. I just wasn't going to answer. I was busy. I was busy, man. I was playing Quidditch. I wish. I wish. Oh, my gosh. You know that. Hey, that's why you ain't going to put one of them GPS tracking devices in me. Because I don't need nobody finding me at Mira Mesa 8 in IMAX watching the Harry Potter. Or in Balboa Park playing Quidditch. Right. That's right. Mike, it ain't none of your business where I am. You keep your eyes on your own. Let's see. Hey, you know that dude?
That was in the Green Mile that married the 16-year-old? Yes. That guy, well, he's got rocks for marrying a 16-year-old, first of all. He's 51 years old. But he went on Good Morning America. It takes balls for you to marry a 16-year-old as a 51-year-old and go, yeah, sure, I'll do press. The guy went on Good Morning America. They met online when Courtney signed up for Doug's acting workshop. At first, Doug says he had no idea she was just a teenager. Now, to his defense, she looks 42. She does. She looks like a cougar. She doesn't look like a 16-year-old. She looks like a cougar. She looks like a 41-year-old mother of three that's had some plastic surgery done and is now looking to meet a hot 24-year-old. So when you found out, how did you feel? Well, you can imagine. My world turned upside down. They had begun a four-month courtship over the Internet and say they fell in love without ever meeting each other in person. That's what happened with Rebecca and I. Obviously. Oh, wow. It was a really...
Beautiful and unique way to get to know someone because we didn't have the distraction of physical. To my defense, Rebecca wasn't 16 and me 51. Are you sure? I'm positive. She was a white, blonde haired. Beauty. But I'm allowed to date white girls. Just because I'm Hispanic doesn't mean I can't date white girls. I'm not saying that. I mean, Woods, why are you making it into a racial... I mean, first of all, you started the morning off by trying to just derail us. Why do you hate Mike? I love you. I love you. Stop it. You're tripping out. I meant because she was so attractive. And you, at that time, admittedly... Well, I was about to have gastric bypass surgery, if truth be known. I mean, if that's what you're getting at. Why are you smirking? You're smirking. She's got her mouth covered. I've been monitoring their exchanges and says she was fully aware that Doug was so much older than her daughter. And I said, if you and Alex have any misgivings whatsoever about this, if you are uncomfortable with it. You don't have to say that.
You can assume that her mom and dad. You're older than her mom and dad. Right. You don't even need to ask them. You don't have to say if you have any misgivings. We do. Oh, my gosh. Her mom and dad are calling you sir. They're like, yes, sir. Yes, sir. Let's play Name That Tune. What is the theme today, Jay? It's songs from South Park. They do cover songs. Cartman's doing a lot of cover songs. Okay, so we're listening to Cartman do cover songs. Okay. 570-1949. You're going to pick me, Woods, or L.O.B. Don't pick me. You'll know the song. I don't watch cartoons. They sing regular songs. They're singing regular songs. Give us a call and pick us. We'll be right back.

It was a cardboard thing that somebody had handwritten. Yes. Tom Sizemore will be here. At 1. And he, at 1.30, we were still waiting. Also, binge drinking can damage memory skills, especially in girls. I did a study on this, on teenage girls. They found out that girls that binge drink could be damaging a part of their brain that controls memory and spatial awareness. Like, whoa, how close is that? It makes sense. Where am I? It does make sense. That's why I spill stuff all the time. That's correct. What was that story you said again? They say that teenage girls, their brains, they're really vulnerable to alcohol because... What? Really? Female girls' brains develop earlier than men's brains do. Now, I want to tell you what binge drinking for a girl looks like. They say three pints of beer or more than four glasses of wine.
At one sitting. That's what they term binge drinking. They're way off. Oh, wow. LLB just gave a look like baby stuff. That's happy hour. Wow. Wow. Shut up. It's Toto. One. Mikey. It's Asia. It's Asia. You can't throw it out there. You didn't give me the git. I couldn't get to the git quick enough. You already gave an answer. It's Asia. I said it. You said Toto. I said Asia before you said git. You git. Incorrect. Oh, horse ass. There's one left. What's the score, Lauren? Me, four. Woods, one. Mikey, two. Woods, three. This is a four-pointer. Son of a... What? Mikey. Oh, gosh. That sucks. What happened? I don't even know. Jay, you're a clown. Four-pointer. You freaking won. Did you? Did you? Did you? The one time I'm ahead. Sorry, M1 Steve. M1 Lisa? Yes? I'm proud to announce that you've won.
Thank you, Mikey. Tickets to the Del Mar thoroughbred club. Wow. That was awesome. Now, Woods would have won, but he said Toto, which was incorrect. Then I said Asia. Yeah. He wouldn't have won anyway. Listen, if you say the wrong one, you're wrong. You're wrong. If you get the get. I got it in before. You're wrong. Excuse me, but he would not have won anyway. I was in the lead. Man. That was tough. That was tough. That was tough. Good job. Let's go to. I'll tell you, I'll make it up to you. Okay. Let's go back to Phil's barbecue today and I'll buy a brisket sandwich. In. Real good. Remind you of your Texas roots. That's right. He is a good friend and a lover. Whoa. You guys calm down. Yeah. Well, I didn't just say that. Put your tiny hand in mine. Woods. Woods. You guys getting all worked up over a brisket. Over barbecue. Jay just played a clip of us saying that. But we didn't say that. We didn't actually say it.
Well, we said it, but it's taken out of context. He is a good friend and a lover. Calm down. How dare you? Get a room. 570-1949 is our number if you want to text us. 949mikey at gmail.com. So Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake are in a movie called Friends with Benefits. Now, as you know, a Marine made a YouTube video asking Mila Kunis to go. to the Marine Corps ball with him. And she accepted. Now, there was this whole thing going on out there that she was trying to get out of it. That she was trying to cancel the date. But she explained. As you know, Mila, we all know that you've been invited to the Marine Corps ball in November. And there are reports that... Well, you just get right in there, don't you? Well, we just thought we'd clear it up while we can. There are reports that...
You may not be going. Can you, once and for all, clear up the matter for everyone here? I will happily clear it up once and for all. Do not believe what Billy Bush says. Please, I beg of you. Never did I say that I was not going. He made it up. And people believed it, unfortunately. I am attending. I'm going November 18th. Good girl. Good girl. Little angel. There's no need to applaud. It's nothing great. You guys, I accepted an invitation, and I'm staying true to my word. I got permission to be released from work for the day, so I'm flying in and flying out. That's cool. Yeah. That's badass. That's so cool. Now, then there was this other deal, because Justin Timberlake's in the movie, too, and there was a girl. who I felt sort of confrontationally asked him in a YouTube video. She's a Marine. And she's like, hey, douche, if you go with me. Are you going to go or not? Are you going to go? Yeah. But anyway, he got hit up with the same question. I just wanted to ask you something. This morning I saw on the Internet that you have an invitation as well for the ball. Will you be going? Yes, yes, I saw that. Do it for the country. I don't feel backed into a corner at all.
I'll tell you what. I accept. Oh, wow. He did it right then and there. Not because she shouted out one of my songs, which I do love when they do that. Because I'm shameless. And not because... Excuse, excuse, excuse, excuse. Question Woods and L.O.B. and M1 Nation. What's wrong with him saying no? Because he backed her into a corner. He backed her into a corner. He's got to. He shot himself in the foot. Okay. Okay. I accept. I accept that. Now, take out of the equation. Let's say he had it. Would he be a big D if he... No. No. Hell no. He would not. No. But he called her out on TV. I'm positive. Okay. Because, I mean, there's a million excuses he could use, so... What if his excuse... Well, then he's a D. What?
Then he's a D. Come up with something good. Hey, I'm working that day. Shooting schedule. Now listen, let's say I was not married and I were in his position, you know, white, good looking, tall, basically Matt Commerce. If that were me and I were a celebrity and somebody asked me, I'd say no. You want to know why? I can't dance. I'd be embarrassed. I'd be embarrassed. That would be your reason? That would be my reason, because I know I have to. I would not accept an invitation to a dance, because I can't dance, and I'd be embarrassed. It's a lot about the eating there, too, though. Wow. It is. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my dear. It's not just dancing. Oh, my dear. It's like a dinner and pictures. Oh, gosh. You're a Fred Astaire of eating. Oh, wow. Did you hear that? You're the Fred Astaire of eating. Woods, you're the Ginger Rogers. You monsters. She had all those beefcake military guys behind her to try to intimidate me. Although that probably would have worked by itself. Shut up. I don't get asked out. What? He's such a clown. So annoying. You guys freaking... Shut up. You lose your lunch over Deanna Box, but the guy talks and you guys... Deanna Box is genius. That's why. Be talented and then don't try to be all cocky.
Cocky. He's not humble at all. He's really, really talented in so many aspects, but just shut up. Just cry me a river, Justin. Oh, wow. Just bye, bye, bye, Justin. Yeah, seriously. That mansion story, dude. That mansion story in Coronado has gotten weirder. Listen to this. Okay, if you don't know, there was a woman last week found dead in a big giant mansion in Coronado. Not just found dead. Her feet were bound. Her arms were bound. She was naked and hanging from the second store balcony. Okay, so already it's got the makings of a very unnatural, bizarre story. She is the girlfriend of the owner of the mansion. The owner of the mansion is a guy named Jonah Shackney. He is a very wealthy.
entrepreneur who's got a business in Arizona called Medesas Pharmaceuticals. He's out of town. And while he's out of town, who's in the house? Well, we know for sure she was in the house, but also his young son was in the house. Apparently, the young son, days before this, was very seriously hurt after tumbling down the stairs at this mansion. And has since passed away from the injuries. So sad. Making it even more bizarre. He's six years old. It's unbelievable. And so the father releases this statement. He says, with great sadness, Dina and I, Dina is the boy's mother. Dina and I convey the tragic passing of our beloved son, Max, affectionately known as Maxie. Despite heroic efforts on the part of paramedics and hospital staff.
He was unable to recover from the injury suffered early last week. His loving, kind, and vibrant spirit will forever be in our hearts and those whom he touched every day, etc., etc. How odd is that? This boy sustains these injuries down the stairs. On a Monday, there's a 911 call made by a woman from the mansion. Says this child is unconscious and without a pulse and not breathing. The Coronado police say. And then two days later, this woman is reported by the owner of the house's brother, Adam, that he has discovered her hanging from the balcony. What's going on? Like, what is going on? Was she hanging from her neck or? I believe so. They haven't really. I believe so. So that killed her. Well, sure. But but but I don't know if I should say sure.
I don't know. We don't know. I mean, she was bound. She was bound and who knows? You know, could have been that it was staged to look like that's what the deal was. It could be any number of things. But how unusual is it that this boy, this little boy is injured first on Monday and then on Wednesday that? And now he passes away. How unusual. Very, very unusual. Now, I'm sure that as time goes by, it's going to start to unravel. But it hasn't yet. We don't know. All we know is that everything about it is suspicious. Everything. Like a movie plot. It does. Thriller. It does. M1 Craig from San Diego. Are you there? Yes, sir. What was the word of the day? Brisket. Correct. It was brisket. Awesome. Single day tickets to Comic-Con. Sold out, bro. It's sold out and you got tickets. There you go, dude. Hang on the line.
Guy's happy. He's very happy. I don't blame him. I mean, the thing's sold out. Let's see. Oh, I know what I wanted to ask you guys about. You guys ever do the bit when you were growing up where you told one of your brothers or sisters, your sibling, that they were like adopted from a crazy country or something like that? You guys ever do that? Oh, yeah. You like have a family thing that you would do? We told my brother that we thought he was a girl for the first four years of his life. Holy cow. We were like, yeah, we called you Brittany. Oh, my gosh. Wow, thanks. 570-1949. If you've got one of those that you were told or that you told, I want to hear the whacked out ones. Just stuff you did. LOB, I think, used to do this Jaws thing. In the pool.
What was the Jaws deal? So you have a light that goes in the pool and if you put a cover over it, my uncle had a red cover. We used to get the water, like turn on the light and get the water all riled up and act like we were getting killed in the Jaws attack. That would scare the crap out of me. That would scare the crap out of me. Last week we told you about a woman that was attacked because she looked like Casey Anthony. There's a twist now. We'll tell you about that. But call us if you had one of those weird deals. My brother Steve was told that he was a monkey and we cut his tail off and shaved him. Wow. And he believed it. Cried and cried and cried. Pop it in. Slightly larger, maybe out of the west-northwest as that southwest well continues to taper off. Still running pretty much in that ankle knee-high zone, but some waist-high sets can come through, and the shape appears to be a little bit better as well. A little bit hard to tell with that negative low tide we're going through, but on the other side of that, look for some improvement once again inside that shape. Beach breaks looking fairly fun, broken up lines, pick-a-two sections, a lot of closeouts still, but that occasional larger set wave can corner up nicely. And again, as mentioned, that will improve as the tide fills in. Overcast skies, light and variable winds, cleaner surface conditions today, which is a bonus. And those clouds look to be a little bit lighter, so maybe we'll see some sunshine sooner. Water temps still pretty pleasant, upper 60, so if you've got a window of opportunity, hit the beach, reefs look pretty weak. For up-to-the-minute surf reports forecast, go to surpline.com. We've got a 40-minute drive home after that deal. Right down the street from David and Buster. 570-1949. Call us right now. Tell us the stuff that you did or that you were told because your family was messing with you. M1 Jen from Oceanside. Okay, so... My sister took me down at recess at school, down to the bathroom. Uh-huh. And recess is only like 15 minutes long, and I was like in first grade. And she's like this blonde little angel. Everyone believes her. She can do no wrong. And so I believe everything she does. Yeah. And she goes down, and she's like, okay, I had to bring you down here. It's finally time. We've been looking for a really long time, but we finally found your parents.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. And she goes, oh, and your mom's name is Pearl. And your dad's name is Jim. My jaw's open. I know. I didn't want to have to tell you this, but we finally found him, and I thought it's time for you to know. I'm in first grade, seven years old. Oh, my gosh. And then the bell rings for recess, and all the kids run the class, and I'm just standing there like. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. And I was, I totally believed everything she said. Cause she's so like, I'm so gullible. And we, I was always convinced that everything she said was true. Did you, did you get home and immediately? I got home and I asked my parents and nothing they could do. They couldn't even. Oh, my gosh. They're showing you pictures of when you were born. Yeah, they're like, this is your birth. I don't believe you. I believe her. And it took forever for them to like, this is where you were born. Look, this is the bed you were born on. Like, there's pictures of you as a baby. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I don't know. I don't know. I don't believe you. Siblings are monsters. Monsters. They're monsters. Thank you for the call. They're monsters. Emlyn Lamer from La Mesa. Are you there?
I'm here. What was your deal? My dad and my siblings, all three of them, had me convinced that my real father was Lionel Richie. Holy cow. Holy cow. My dad went as far as to write a letter, sign it, had a picture of when I was even littler where I had like the Jerry curl going on and glasses. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. That's the greatest thing I've ever heard. I told my husband this. And now he swears that Lionel Richie is my dad. Yeah, he's like, babe, the only reason they told you that is because it's true. Right. Your father is Lionel Richie. He's awesome. It's incredible. The dad was in on it. The dad was in on it. It makes it so much better.
So how did your dad explain himself away? How did he tell you? Like, who was he? Somebody that adopted you? Like, did Lionel give you to him? No. I'm the baby. Right. So that's why my siblings were on it. Because, of course, my dad was their real dad, but not my real dad. Right. And then he, oh, man. How did he say that he got you? Well, he was with my mom. I was like five. Who knows what I was thinking at the time. I just want to know how he said that he obtained you from Lionel Richie. Right. Well, no, because, you know, he said my mom cheated on him. Oh, that is it. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. With Lionel Richie. Oh, my gosh. And my mom's like the most angelic woman ever and would never do anything like that. Wow. Was she in on it?
No, no. She must have been furious. He pulled out my birth certificate and everything. But of course, he had wrote a letter, so I was like, I don't know what's going on. I never had sex with Lionel Richie, I swear. I did it, I did it. I'm not saying I wouldn't want to. I'm not saying I wouldn't. But I did it. But I did it, but I would. I mean, I definitely would. He's the same guy who told me I was Somali, Guamanian, everything. That's fantastic. That's fantastic. Frankster. Thank you, Lamer. And Dad doing bits. M1, BJ and the Dale. He's calling in from Salt Lake City. What's going on? My parents and my sister had me convinced that they found me on the 8th freeway on the way in when we moved to San Diego. Were you like bundled up like Moses in a little like basket? Swaddling clothes? Swaddling and what did they say? No, I was about three, so they said I was just cruising along the side of the freeway. Wow. And they just, hey, come on in, kid. Yeah, let's open the door. Yeah. It was easy to believe. It was easy to believe. I'm a little brown kid. I was really skinny. They are not. Yes. Oh, boy. Thank you. Thank you for the call. M1 Buzz from Claremont. You there? Yeah, I'm here. What was yours?
Really, really small, my parents told me that when I was born, they thought I was an Asian child because of my fat rolls. And they thought that something went wrong with my mom. And she's like, no, no, no, I swear. I swear that he's your kid. And they thought I was an Asian child because I was so chubby. Oh, my gosh. You had little fat rolls. Little fat rolls. Little fat rolls. That's fantastic. Thank you for the call. We got a new neighbor. The neighbor has three teenage boys. And we got home late Saturday night. One of the teenage boys has a black light in his room. And Rebecca started laughing. She goes, it's going to be us. It's going to be us. Because when she first heard it, she was like, three teenage boys. Oh my gosh. And then she was like, wait a minute. Yeah. That's going to be us. We have three boys. Sometime we're going to have three teenage boys. Oh, God bless. Try going to bed at 6 o'clock with three teenage boys in the house. There's no chance. There's no chance. You think that I will ever say the words keep it down? You could maybe get like Michael Jackson's doctor. I'll help you go to bed. Yeah. Give you heroin. Give me heroin to fall asleep. Dude, you're dead. Oh, man. Listen.
Aren't you able to throw the smack down, Jay? Yeah. How many kids do you have? But then when the mom's in on it, too. You got four kids. The mom's in on it. Your wife, all of a sudden, is like, it's a party in your house. Everybody's like, and you're like, hey, please. Sleep in here. Please. I'm trying to sleep. Please. Respect bit. Yeah. I'm trying to sleep. Respect. Yeah, give them the respect bit. Listen, I got to go put food on the table. See those new Air Jordans you wear? That's from my hard work, my sweat on the radio. Those new Air Jordans I bought on eBay. Yeah, exactly. Air Jordans. M1 Hobo Pirate wrote in. He says, Mikey, when I was about four, I asked my 12-year-old sister why some things on the TV are black and white. And she told me it was because the world wasn't in color back then. So until I was nine or ten, I believed that the world magically became color in the 60s. Oh, my gosh. I got a good one. It's kind of true. Go ahead, Woods. My uncle Mike, who was a big part of Raised Me When I Was a Kid, convinced me that if I heard a song on the radio, that that band was in that studio playing that song at the time I heard it. So I'm like.
Good God, dude. And I'm like four or five years old. So I'm like, there's these bands coming in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out. On the radio. Yeah, on the radio. That's great. So like Kiss is in there playing rock and roll all night. They leave. And then, you know, Billy Squire walks in and starts playing My Kind of Lover. And I'm like. Gosh darn, that's a busy place. What a great radio station. Amazing. That's the biggest acts. I was sold, man. We told my sister that she was a sewer baby, and that we found her in the sewer, and that's why we could never get the smell completely off of her. Oh, my gosh. My gosh. Even mom and dad would go, okay, you're going to have to go take another shower, sewer baby. She was like, what? Does she have any complexes? Was she an alcoholic? When I had to take my birth certificate in, it was like...
first or second grade, I had some field trip and you had to bring your birth certificate in. And I noticed it said for mom's middle name, the initial was L, but I know her middle name is Marie, but it really stood for her maiden name. So my brothers and sisters and my mom and dad were like, it was a different Joanne O'Brien. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I used to analyze that signature. Like up until I was like 15, I was like, I really, I don't know about this. There's some sort of cover up going on. L of me will buy anything. My mom was like, it was the L. I'm like, your middle name doesn't start with an L. She's like, it was my maiden name. Holy cow. Why did you say your middle name's Marie? That's incredible. Well, there was, in Australia, apparently, there was just some mix-up. Oh, boy. They just had a mix-up and gave the people the wrong baby. Can you imagine that? Oh, boy. You're given to the wrong. Listen to this. Australian hospital, they mixed up two newborns, gave them the wrong mothers. Who, by the way, breastfed the infants before the mistake was caught. They breastfed the infants before the mistake was caught. The hospital said people that worked there didn't check their ID bracelets against the ID bracelets of the mothers. Both women offered.
She likes my breasts. She likes my breasts. Yeah. She thinks it's her mommy's. And it's not. And I guarantee relatives and friends came in and were like, she looks just like. Yeah, for sure. L.O.B. That was how they found out. That was actually how they found out. It was relatives going. They said relatives of the families came in and they were like, something doesn't look right about that baby suckling on your teat. That baby has got red hair and you're African-American. Yeah, exactly. You're African-Australian. And that baby is white with red hair. Oh, man. And blue eyes. Really? Translucent skin. Huh. I guess now that you point it out. Now that you mention it. Yes. Then there is a black woman with a little tiny blonde white child. Breastfeeding. How about this one? This is good. Mikey, I convinced my baby sister that she was made of wood. She was hysterically crying, saying, quote, I thought I was real. It's Pinocchio. It's incredible. It was amazing. It's incredible. That's incredible. It's so good. No, you're not. I thought I wasn't real. You're not.
And it's time to come to terms with it. You're made of wood. Stay away from the grill. When I was little, stay away from the grill. My sister and her friend wanted me to leave them alone. So they said, have you ever gotten inside a bubble? I was like, what? What are you talking about? She goes, well, if you really practice, you can get inside a bubble. You blow a bubble, you can get inside of it. So I sat outside with a thing of bubbles. And she came back by a little bit later. She goes, oh, oh, you know what you're doing wrong? You don't have baby powder on your head. So she loads me up with baby powder on my head. I'm all white-headed. And I'm trying to get inside these bubbles. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a video of that. You can just tell kids. Oh, my gosh. Chances we could convince Jay now. We could be like, you didn't know that you could get out. I would be all in. Oh, my gosh. Oh, it's outstanding. Okay, so we told you last week about this woman that attacked. Another woman, because she looked like Casey Anthony. Turns out, TV station kind of made it up. TV station was KOTV in Tulsa. And a competing radio station, KUTL from Tulsa, they looked into it. And they found that that's not really the report. Now, as you listen to it, listen to the reporter asking the question. You can tell in her voice that she...
is like, just won the lottery. And she's asking the questions in such a way to really rub it in. Around 10.30 last Friday night, Shoto police get called to a two-car collision right in the middle of town. Nolly struck Blackwell's pickup, causing it to flip over several times. But the accident is not why we're covering the story. It's the fallout from the media's attention. I later spoke with her and asked her what had happened. why she had done that. And all she stated to me was that she does not like people that hurt babies. In other words, she's crazy. She was just saying that. She's crazy. She might as well have said, I don't like people that hurt aliens. She was crazy. That Nolly had attacked Blackwell because she thought she was Casey Anthony. Miss Nolly and the suspect never said I was Casey Anthony and that's why she did it.
She'd only stated that she, you know, did it because I was killing babies or hurting babies and she was going to, you know, stop it. In the police report. You know, she's crazy. Right. Obtained through Shoto police, it mentions nothing of Casey Anthony or looking like Anthony, only that Nolly said, quote, I was trying to save the children. So nothing mentioned of Casey Anthony. Nothing was ever mentioned to law enforcement about Casey Anthony. In your investigation, was there any muttering of the name Casey Anthony? Was there any muttering? Muttering. Muttering. Did the other TV station mutter it? Wow. Even... As far as I know, no. To me, absolutely not. There was not. I spoke with my partner about it last night. He advised me there was nothing mentioned to him about her either. You guys ever been in a boat made of aluminum? Where did this come from? I do not know. Blackwell says the rumor started when a bystander at the accident scene briefly mentioned to Blackwell, maybe she thought you looked like Casey Anthony. Others overheard this, and this theory is... And by others, I mean K-O-T-V. Bread like wildfire. It's like, you know, that game telephone goes back and forth, and like, it's like...
I'm talking, and people's only listening to what they want to hear or what, you know, they think people want to hear. What is the game telephone? It's like whisper down the lane. I tell you something, and then you tell L.O.B. what I told you, but you change it a little bit, and she tells me something, and by the time it gets to J, it's completely different. Got it. You whisper it. Yeah, you whisper it. It's a game? Like a children's game? Mm-hmm. Never heard of it? No, it sounds fun. Do you know what Ring Around the Roses is? Duck, duck, goose? You ever play Spin the Bottle? Red Rover, Red Rover. Seven minutes in heaven? Colored eggs. Mike, do you know what Christmas? Have you ever heard of that? You sheltered when you were a kid? Have you ever heard of a lassie? Little dog? Thumbs up, seven up? Do you know what a spinning top is? Or a jack in the box? How about a yo-yo? You ever see a yo-yo? The words Bambi mean anything to you, Mike? Hula hoop? Do you know what a teddy bear is? How about kick the can? That would require exercise. He didn't do that. How about lick the can? Just brutal. Oh, yeah, that I've played. Yeah, I've played that. Listen to this. It's Jay's recap. Uh-oh. Flew out this past weekend to see my mother, allegedly. And I came up with some new ideas for the airlines. The airlines should charge by the pound. I weigh less, I pay less. Oh. I weigh more, I pay more. My God. Think about it. The more you weigh,
the more fuel it takes to haul your ass. Mikey. Also, they should have medium, large, and extra large seats available. Talk to you, Woods. Yeah, I am. According to weight. Why do I have to share half my seat with an XL passenger next to me? Mikey, Woods. Here are some sample slogans for my airlines. J Airlines. This is real. This is real. This is real. Fly J Airlines, pound for pound, it's a good idea. Exclamation point. Woods is just staring blankly at me. It's priceless. Woods is just blankly staring at me. Or how about this one, Woods? Fly J Airlines, you weigh a lot, you pay a lot. Exclamation point. That would not be a reason to fly. Yeah, of course. How about this one?
Fly Jay Airlines. If you're skinny, you save a pretty penny. Penny. I love you, Jay. I do not. I don't have the words. I had the window seat and giant guy who comes in last gets the middle seat. His buckle. I had to help him squeeze it together. No, you didn't. I did. That's not a story. That's a lie. That's a lie. I finally got tired of him sweating all over me. You had to help him. Really? Did he go like this? Did he go, excuse me, sir? Can you help me? Because I can't buckle my feet. He didn't have to say anything. He was just going. You just helped. You just reached over. I did. I reached over, held it, and he went, click, let it all out. Thank you. He had to hug himself the whole flight because his arms otherwise came into my. The hand rest disappeared. Hey, fatty boom-blatty, get out of my space. Hey, fat ass, get my seat. He sweated on me the whole way. He sweated on you. Do you think he was comfortable? No, but I paid for two seats then. Good Lord. I had to sit like this, leaning up against the wall going, okay, this is great. Perfect. Hey, listen, I already helped you. I helped you by buckling your big old fat seat belt.
Now you're going to sit here and sweat all over me. Wow. Gosh darn it, I've got to get Jay Airlines up in there. One for each butt cheek. That's right. He's sitting at XL for sure, buddy. Wow. That's not a bad idea, the sizes. What dare you. You can't lose some embarrassment. Wheel of Pain is next. I'm going to give band names to Jay and Woods, and they have to tell me whether or not they're real or made up. Loser spins the wheel of pain and does something very painful. That's next. I have a screw loose to go in for that sort of thing. Call 570-1949. Or shoot him a text at 949mikey at gmail.com. I got the world by the tail. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes. Yeah, boy. Yeah, my mom has Alzheimer's disease. If your parents have Alzheimer's disease or if you are concerned about having Alzheimer's, one of the things that they're saying is an early indicator is falling, which as I think back on it, my mom actually did. She had a couple of spills, and they're saying that that is an indication. People have brain scans. They did a study. They did brain scans on them, showed signs of something they call amyloid, and that is an indicator of Alzheimer's disease. People that were otherwise healthy, they had twice the risk of falls as people without amyroid. So it tells you that higher rates of falls can be an early indicator of Alzheimer's disease. So if your folks are not yet real old, but they're sort of in that, you know, 50s, 60s area, and you're noticing that, keep an eye on it. Harry Potter blew the records away this weekend.
92.1 million bucks on its opening weekend. Blew away Twilight's new moon, which was the previous holder, 72 mil. It's Dracula. Dracula. It was the Dracula. The Dracula moon or whatever. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. By the way, if you went to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, you got to see a teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan's conclusion to the Batman saga. His movie, The Dark Knight Rises. A little clip of it. Who's Batman, I wonder? I don't know, but I wonder if it's still going to be Christian Bale. I was wondering the same thing. He was really good. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, the Padres did not have a great weekend here at home. They lost three or four to the Giants. They have a travel day today. They are heading to Florida to take on the Marlins. It'll be Tim Stauffer against Anibal Sanchez. And now we are getting to that point in the season where the trade deadline is looming.
And the Padres got to make sure that they make the right moves for the future. It looks like Heath Bell, Mike Adams are two names that everybody wants a piece of. So I don't expect those guys to be around much longer, man, unfortunately. Unfortunately. Also, over the weekend, running back Cedric Benson plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. He was their leading rusher in the last three seasons. He was arrested for domestic assault. No, an assault charge. Yeah, it's the second year in a row he's gotten in trouble. It was in Austin, Texas. He posted a $10,000 bond, was released before 2 p.m. It was a family violence charge. Again, I feel bad for people that can't get out of their own way. I want people that have, you know, it's the same bit with Pac-Man Jones. I would like to see Pac-Man Jones turn his life around and never be in the news for something bad and go on to have a great career and tell kids don't do this. That'd be great. That's too bad, man. All right, it's time to play The Wheel of Pain. Come on in, Jay. The way that we play The Wheel of Pain is that I'm going to give band names, and they're either going to be made up or real. Who starts? I think it's my turn, isn't it? Yeah, I think it's Woods' turn. Woods starts this time. Okay. L.O.B., can you keep score? I can. If they tie, we'll go to a tiebreaker.
And then we'll spin that wheel. Somebody's either going to get three shots from a BB gun, three shots from a dog collar, three drops of hot sauce to the tongue, which almost made Jay throw up last week. Three bag tags, which is boom, right to the nuts, back of the hand. Dodge ball hit. Those hurt bad. They take a big dodge ball and throw it full speed from about 10 feet away. I hope that's it. Three days with black fingernail polish on. They can't remove it. They got to walk around in public in it. Three hippity hop hits. We have actual hippity hops and they go as hard as they can on the other's back. And there's one good thing on there and that's a foot rub. That's not even good. It's not because you got to give it to them. You got to give it. Go with your gut, Woods. Come on. Ready, Woodsy? A lot of it. All right, Woods. You got to tell me if this is a real, if it's real or fake. Okay. This band. Too cute to smile.
Real. I made it up. J. Ramen poodles. You made that up. That's correct. I made it up. Weird. Woods. Yes. Arcway. Real. I made it up. Two down. J. Yes. Never shout never. That is real. That is correct. All right. Time for a comeback. Woods. Yeah. Outed by midnight. Fake. I made it up. Jay, eat me while I'm hot. Oh, man. I'm going to say that is real. It is real. I think it's one more. I just need one more, right? Woods. Yeah. Only twice. Fake. It's real. That's it, right? That's it. Jay's three, Woods one. God bless America. Stupid thing. All right, Woodsy. Yeah. Here is the wheel of pain. We'll spin.
What is Jay doing? He's planking. He looks like he's planking. Here we go. Three shots from the BB gun. Yes, I can do that one. It still hurts. It hurts. The worst for Woods would be the dog collar because he hates getting shot and the hot sauce would be bad. Woods has on those board shorts. Here we go. Here comes the first one. Oh, my God. Dude, dude, dude. Oh, that looked like it went through the thing. That was a good one. Gosh, darn. I saw right where that hit. First one looked like it went through fabric. He got me behind the knee. Oh, dude. That's a tough spot. We have to film that. We got to film it next time. I'll tell you why. Because when that BB hits, you can see right where it hits.
That is fun. I've even changed the way that I get the bands now. And he's still excelling. I don't know how. I don't know how. He's got a gift. I don't know how he does that. I do a lot of things people can't understand. I'm superhuman. I'm like Wolverine. Like huge Jackman. Huge Jackman. I'm Claire's voyeur. Yeah, I'm Claire's voyeur. I think he has some inside information. I'm like Diane Warwick. I think he's got inside information. Hey. And I don't know how he's gotten it because you ain't giving it to him. And I don't print it. But he's got it. I don't print it. No. I don't print it until two seconds before we go on the air. He's been in radio for a long time. He's got an ear for it. Yeah. Does he? Doesn't he? Or he's really lucky. Apparently he does. Listen to this story.
And it's from your home state, L.O.B., New Jersey. The story seems almost unbelievable, but the bark blown off this old sycamore tree is a reminder this tragedy is all too real. It was here in this Hamilton backyard that 54-year-old Stephen Rooney was struck by lightning at a family barbecue July 3rd as he stepped away from the crowd to light a cigar. The party host, Rooney's cousin and next-door neighbor, says a giant bolt shook the yard. Hit the tray, went up the tray. It electrified all through the root system in a tree at that time. So he was standing right in the electric field. Fancy DiGirolamo's son, Scott, was blown right off this bench but survived. Steve Rooney died five days later. Just before he was hit, Rooney downplayed concerns about the lightning. He had just said that lightning doesn't struck two people in one family right before it happened, not long before it happened. He said that.
Lightning is not supposed to strike twice, but in this case, it did. You see, Steve Rooney's father, George, was also killed by lightning 48 years ago when Steve was just a five-year-old boy. What are the odds? Insane. What are the odds that a dad dies from getting struck by lightning than his son does? Oh my goodness. You know what it makes me think? There's something in their body that attracts it. Possibly. Because you've heard of... people that have been struck more than once. Yeah. Yes. And it makes me think, is there something in them that, like, attracts? Sort of like electromagnetic pull? Yeah. Do you think it's possible? Swallow the key. Or is M1 Cave Dweller? He knows about this stuff. Yeah, he knows this stuff. Who? M1 Cave Dweller. Yeah. Who knows about this? He knows science stuff. But I bet you there must be something in his blood or in his bones that's attracting it. If there's a light...
Any lightingologists out there? Give us a call. Yeah, any lightingologists. Obama was trying to temporarily reinstate the don't ask, don't tell stance. And it didn't happen. In fact, there were gay guys and women that were in the pride parade, even over the weekend. And so it did not happen. But here is the very interesting part of this story. The Obama administration trying to do this. This is Story of the J. We're going to get Obama on the phone here. Story of the J is where J does the voice. Today he's going to be President Obama. Mr. President. Yes, Mikey. Are you sure that this is not Randy Lane, our radio consultant? No, Mikey. This is Obama?
This is President Barack Obama. Barack Obama. That's right. Obama, your mom. Oh, wow. Mr. Obama. How may I be of service to you? Well, I was calling to see, you know, how you're feeling right now with the elections next year. And if you feel you got a good chance. I got a great change, change, change. But stay the same. Lifted straight from news of the day. Bravo. Every voice is weirder than the last time. It's kind of like a Muppet when it's high. There you go. That's Jay's Obama. That's pretty good, I thought. That was spot on. Just spot on. Identical. It was deep. My new favorite bit by far that Woods has come up with, by far, is his new bit called Identical. Identical.
Identical. Identical. It makes me laugh so hard. He almost brought me, and I'm not kidding you, he almost brought me to my knees. I laughed so hard. And that's hard to do. Like, you gotta get someone. Okay? We're walking out of the building. We're walking out of this building. And there's a guy walking in. And he's got... Big hair like a lion's mane. Feathered. Feathered back. Okay? It's mousy brown. Mousy brown. He's got on glasses that are like 1970s glasses. Uh-huh. And Woods and I had not been speaking. We were just walking together. And we both looked up. We both saw him. And Woods goes, identical Jay. Identical Jay. Doesn't look anything like Jay. Doesn't look any... Doesn't look... anything like Jay. Doesn't look anything like Jay. It's the same, it's not, okay, it's not the same game, but it's cousins of the game, look, there's your boyfriend. Look, there's your girlfriend. Which I play with my wife all the time, somebody will be on TV, and I'll go, look, there's your boyfriend. And she looks, and it's this, you know, 89-year-old pervert. Jay. You know.
It's my favorite new thing. And it can be anybody. Well, it's... Yeah, it's one of the most fun games around. If you were to see an obese Mexican midget and you could go, look, identical Mikey. And it will make the person next to you, it'll make them laugh. Yes. Okay? Now, it has to be my new favorite thing, the identical bit. But speaking of self-deprecating humor, this weekend... And our friend Kimbra came into town from Indianapolis. She used to live here in San Diego, but now she lives in Indianapolis. I know. Well, she says it's actually a very livable place and people really like it. And you got to really be an unhappy person to live there and not dig it, which is a surprise. Compared to here. Yeah. But anyway, Kimbra is married to a guy named David, who she met on eHarmony.
And she is in an eHarmony commercial. So if all the eHarmony commercials that you see on TV right now, her and David are in them. And so she's blonde. And even if you go to eHarmony's website, you'll see her on eHarmony's website. It's Kimbra. Now, Kimbra is 5'9". And her husband is 6'1". And she'll wear 4-inch heels because of David. Makes her 6'1". I was waiting for that. Yeah, me too. Rebecca's friend Lori is 5'8". She's very tall. And she's got a very tall husband. And we all went out to dinner on Saturday night. And Rebecca said, can you take a picture of the girls? And I said, sure. And I took a picture. And Kimbra was able to literally stick her head to the...
to the left, and rest her head on the top of Rebecca's head. Oh, boy. Because Rebecca's five foot three. And I looked at the picture, and I go, oh, look, it's eHarmony and WeHarmony. I go, which is where we met. Yes. We met on WeHarmony, which is for little people. Oh, it's such a great little sight. Little Irish people? Yeah, little tiny. Little leprechaun. See, that's the leprechaun. He's the one that does the commercial. He says, we match you on all levels of compatibility. There's a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. Except this one. Come on down to We Harmony. Little people like Mikey and Rebecca can meet. Little elves. Little elves fall in love. It's a true statement. Well, they're not like normal people. They're wee little people. It's a wee harmony. Did you get a picture with all the dudes? No. No. Heck no. I'm standing next to those guys. They're monsters. They're like models, man. Yeah. Triathletes. Yeah. Yes. You've seen Kelly, her husband. The guy looks like a model. So does David. Yeah. They're both 6'1". Yeah.
We go out with them and it looks like they're doing some sort of make a wish foundation. And our wish as children was to hang out with good looking models. Like that was our last wish. You and Rebecca are the children. Yeah, we're the kids. And they took it. People go, oh, look how cute. Those really handsome people took out those little midgets. Making them feel sweet. You sit in a high chair. No, Jay. Booster seat, Jay. Phone book, Jay. Who's a big boy? I sat on a booster seat. Isolate. Yeah. What is the name of the... Is it This Will Be an Everlasting... This Will Be an Everlasting Love. Or maybe it's just called Everlasting Love. I think it's called, yeah. Let's see. I'm going to make my own. It's wee harmony. A little short. people you could be squat you could be short you can be you could even be mikey the only thing you can't be is tall and handsome you can be tiny and handsome although that doesn't happen very often you have a better chance of having a father killed by lightning and then 48 years later his wee son being killed do you have to have corn when you eat mashed potatoes i do
No? No, I don't even like corn. No, turkey and mashed potatoes, that's kind of a must. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Yeah. That's good. That is good. But, like, side-wise, I have to have corn to mix in with my mashed potatoes. What? Disgusting. It's delicious. Those are two things that you've got to eat to go. Oh, no. And if you have peas, you mix a little of those in there, too, and it's a treat. Oh, yeah. It's so good. Why would you ruin perfectly good mashed potatoes? Ruin it? Dude, that's what they do on the... Why do you think they have that on the TV dinners? TV dinners, the microwave dinners, why do you think they make mashed potatoes with the corn? Which is so widely popular. It is. TV dinners? Well, I'm saying. You get a cardboard brownie? What has to go? Well, okay. A, what has to go together? B, what's just good together? Meatloaf. You don't make another side with meatloaf. Except mashed potatoes. And if you do, you're a sex pervert. You're an idiot. Yeah, and a sex pervert. And a sex pervert. You drive a van. You drive a van. If you make meatloaf and you go, hey, I'm going to make some meatloaf. I think I'll make some grilled corn with it. Or rice. Or rice. Something's wrong with you. Have your head examined. What is good together like good together? Combo. What's a good combo?

I just got reminded of the worst haircut ever that I had, I forgot about. I had the rat tail. On FM 94.9. Tonight's 8 o'clock album, the pains of being pure at heart. Gary. Belong. He in the Appalachian Mountains. Was in court. It was divorce court.
And the judge, a woman, was not having her. She didn't like what she was throwing down. And this woman wouldn't shut up. And she was going to put her in contempt of court because she was being rowdy and disruptive. She was being a lady from the Appalachian Mountains. Sure. That is true. There you go. That is true. And so she said, all right, contempt of court, 10 days. And the lady jumps over the podium where the judge sits. And they had to restrain her. Two people once married taking their differences before a judge in the Wayne County family courtroom. Judge Jennifer Upchurch-Edwards was hearing a domestic violence complaint against Melissa Harvick from her estranged husband. Things have been escalating, I guess, since the first of the year. Harvick didn't like what she heard. Miss Harvick, you will be held in contempt of this court if you become disrupted. I don't care. I haven't done anything to this court. I haven't done anything to them.
She'll be arrested for contempt. Harvick wouldn't back down. Ten days for contempt for court. Go now. Go to the podium. The circuit court clerk says that in 20 years, he's never seen anything like this. A court security officer says neither has he, except in training videos on how to stop it. I think she either got caught up. It took court security officer Adam Dotson and two others to bring her under control. And so I put her on the floor and restrain her. using my knee and any other body part I have to hold her on the floor while I handcuff her. Even while being let out of the courtroom, you can still hear Harvick. Harvick is now in jail on contempt of court charges, but officials say more will be added. Yep. Wow. That temper will get you real good. How could she think that was going to help anything? Well, here's my thing with it. You know, here's a lady that's in there for domestic abuse. She's... They're getting a divorce and the guy, the husband, is apparently abusive. No, she's the abusive one. That's what I got from it. The only reason you got that from it is because she jumped over the deal. But he had said it's gotten progressively worse, her domestic abuse. It did? Yeah. I think she's the one that's, he filed the domestic abuse claim against her. Oh, wow. Yeah, she's a lunatic.
There'd be some crazy ones out there, man. Witches. Witches. Witches be crazy, dude. Witches be crazy. I'm going to tell you something now. And when I do, I'm going to tell you because eventually it'll be a part of my life that you'll know about. But I am going to collect trains. Oh, boy. It's a good time for the crickets, soundbite. I'm so hot! You mean, like, actual trains? Yes. Yeah. Like Amtrak. I mean, I'm going to collect. Locomotives. Actual locomotive trains. Amtrak. Cabooses. We took the boys to the Railroad Museum at Balboa Park. Which is cool. What? It's cool for kids. It's not just for kids. Intended for them. And old men. Yeah. Retired men. Yeah.
That definitely explains why you're wearing a conductor hat. I'm not wearing a conductor hat. An overall. Tommy Bahama overalls. I'm not wearing a Tommy Bahama. I don't wear a Tommy Bahama. A retired widow wears our big train. We're just retired. Collectors. I felt something click. It's called insanity. Was it something on the tracks? Clickety-clack, clickety-clack, clickety-clack. You're not collecting trains. Yeah, I am. No, you're not. No, you're not. No, I'm going to, and I talked to my wife about it. She's okay with it? There's no part of it that I don't like. No part of it. How about the dorkiness? It's not dorky. I don't think it's dorky. I think it's what you make of it. Okay. I don't think it's dorky. You know what's dorky is if... Well, see, I don't want to single anybody out. It's not right. Pokemon cards. Yeah. Okay. What do you mean exactly? Okay. What are you going to do? So you want the models? Let me explain. Let me explain.
Are you going to make the models and paint them and stuff? Yeah. I did that as a kid. Dude, I did it as a kid with cars. Everybody did, Mike. But you stop once you discover that girls have boobs and you can French kiss them and music and books and movies. Some girls have boobs. Don't let me in the category. I think it's sensational. You stop. You stop the kid stuff when you get older. It's not for kids. There's no kids that could do this. Or you wait until you're retired and have nothing to do. Right. There are no kids that could do what they do. When are you going to do this? Where are you going to put them? Who are you going to show them to? It's not like I do it and I'm like, oh, guys, come over to my museum. That's not it. Won't you, in fact, say, hey, guys, come over to my house. You're going to make us. You're going to train rape us now. That's not what it's about. You've been movie raping us for a year and a half. Now you're going to start train raping me. I'll be the one that takes the fall. You've got to come see this new model I built. I'm going to be train raped. That's not what it's about. It isn't my hobby. It isn't a hobby that I'm going to try to impress upon. Art.
You? No, that would mean I would say, hey, dude, you got to come help me do this. No, no, no, not help. Not help. Come see my train. You need to come see the new train thing that I built. Well, now I know not to do that. Are you going to set up like a village and paint houses and trees and stuff? Little people and stuff? Oh, that would be so weird if I did that. Fill the whole garage with trains. Now I'm going to put it in the garage. Where are you going to put it? We don't have room in the garage. I'm going to put it. We have a train set now for. Luke and Ryan. Oh, yeah, the little Thomas one. They're three years old, right? Not quite. Yeah, and theirs is a little kid one. Yeah, that's not enough space. Meant for little kids. And it's right in the front of your house when you first walk in. Yeah, like in the kitchen area. Rebecca is not going to allow that. In your kitchen right there? Well... It's in the way. Are you going to move theirs? Why don't you just talk her into not letting it happen right now on the radio? Are you going to move theirs? Yeah, what are you going to do with theirs? We'll put theirs in... The living room or something. Well, they're going to be used to playing with it. Yeah. So they're going to mess with it. She rotates those things. She moves, you know, because they get bored of it. They haven't played with it. Well, they're going to play with yours. Oh, yeah. No, they're not. They look like toys. They're not going to play. They are toys. They are not. Toys. They are, in fact, toys. They're toys. They don't look like toys. They're toys. They're replica trains. And they move. Oh, my God.
The cool thing about them is that they are exact replicas of the originals. To scale? To scale. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, they are. They bring a train show to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, and I take Jasper out there, too, because he loves trains as well. Yeah, how old is Jasper? He's eight. He's actually growing out of it. But at eight, there are only kids and old men in there. True. M1AK from Point Loma. Yeah, I think it's awesome, Mike, and he made a good point. It's only kids and old men. That's a great point. It's in green life that you have to phase out of that stuff. But when you start getting older, I mean, it's basically like meditation. You're concentrating on the mundane to just let yourself go. My brother works for the railroad. I'm taking a train for the first time. I've always liked trains. Me too. When I was six, I loved them. I thought they were rad. When we went to the museum, the railroad museum, I felt like I was home. So you think you were like a conductor in another life or an engineer? No. A train hopper, a hobo perhaps? A hobo. Mike, as your friend. As your friend. You've said that. How many times have you said that? As your friend. It doesn't stop me. I know. That's what I'm saying. You've said that a hundred times. It doesn't stop me from doing stuff. I said it about other things that you've wanted to get involved in. I know. I still do it. You didn't do anything with it. That's right.
That's not right. That's right. That's not right. What have I done not done? Golf, guitar, surfing. Besides that. Besides those three. Oh, you wanted to be, remember when you had a little thing that you wanted to be a target shooter? A gunslinger? That never, I never even. tried to do that. I thought I wanted to do that. I never got interested in it. I saw that thing and I thought, I think I do want to do that and that never even got started. But you'd have to leave the house to do that. This is more fitting for you. This you can do right at the house. So, when are you going to start? Or have you started already? Do it online. You already ordered from Amazon, didn't you? Nope. Looked at it. And you're just going to put it in the middle of your house? No. And put it in the middle of the kitchen. That's perfect. Nice eyesore. How are you going to keep your Kids from playing with everything. With a sheet. Oh. I'm going to put a sheet over it. A sheet of iron? Oh my gosh. With a lock? No, a sheet. That is not going to fly with your wife. No. Your house is like a catalog. It wouldn't fly if it was a disgusting, gross sheet, but it'll fly if it's just like a brand new white sheet. You need just a piece of plywood that sucks up to the ceiling in the garage and then comes down where your car is. He's not putting it in the garage. He won't put it in the garage. But I'd put it in the garage. Then you can pull this thing up to the ceiling above your car. I'm not putting it in the garage. It's hot in the garage.
You could open the garage door and it cools it off. No, it doesn't cool it off. How long do you plan on sitting with these trains per setting? As long as an insane person would sit there. You're not collecting trains. Yes, I'm not going to collect them. I'm going to build them. M1 Corey from San Diego. Hi, Mikey. Hi. Well, you know, I dated a guy for four years that used to do the train thing. And I used to have... and help them build the little mountains, and we would go to the railroad museum every single week. See, I'm not going to go. I'm not going to conventions. I'm not doing any of that. Careful. But I do like them. But I do like them. My wife is on the line. Okay, bye. Sexy. Hi, honey.
Hi, honey. Oh, hi. How are you? I'm good, my love. Good. So I just loaded all the kids up in the car. It's really loud in here, so I wasn't sure that I heard right. I, yes. I think that I may have just heard that you are planning on collecting and building trains, model trains. I can't be right, right? Yes, it is right. Sorry, Rebecca. I'm so sorry. And I thought I mentioned it to you. Perhaps I mentioned it to Claudia. Your other wife? She doesn't speak English. She doesn't speak much English. Okay, I didn't mention it. But I'm mentioning it now. Sounds like he's laying down the law. Did you hear where he wanted to put it, Rebecca? It can't be true.
What's the difference between having like a child train set in the kitchen or having a cool train set in the kitchen? Well, one of them, all three of your children play with every day and it keeps them happy. The other one would sit there with nobody touching it or playing with it or working on it. No, I will. work on it. Will you? With a sheet over it when he's not using it. Yeah, I don't think that's going to work on him. But a nice white sheet. But it's not a dirty sheet. It's not like from Motel 6. It's going to be like a Burberry sheet. So you think that the sheet is going to keep Luke, who can crawl out of his crib, he's going to have a sheet and that's going to keep him from messing with your train. What if we put something around it? Like a little baby gate. Really? What about some velvet ropes? The Smithsonian. Can I just have a hobby? You have a thousand hobbies. I was going to say, let's see, right now in the garage, there's a set of golf clubs. Okay, you got me on the golf. Okay, there's two boogie boards. What else? But that's it.
The guitar. I play the guitar. There's two guitars in your office. What about all those video cameras? There's video cameras. There's regular cameras. You know what else we have? We have two raised gardening beds outside that are empty. Empty? Empty. That's only because I'm busy and I don't have time to go out there and... You're not going to have time to build your trains. I need time to build trains. Wait a minute. You're busy? Don't you think that you should support it and say, you know what? If that makes you happy, then do that. Honestly, I do. I want to support you in your hobbies. The problem is that I've supported you in several hobbies over the past several years. They didn't all work out.
Right. They didn't any of them work out. Some of them worked out. Like, what about the aquarium and the fish? That worked out. Well, kind of, except for that. Yeah, I don't do anything with it, maybe. A company takes care of it. So if you're intending on hiring somebody to take care of and build the model railroad, then that might work out. Fine. No, hon, I love you. I love you, and I do want you to have a hobby. I'm just saying, like, you know, there are some other options that you have that you've already invested some time and money into, and that maybe you should pursue those. Yeah. You know, well, I can't surf right now because I don't fit the wetsuit anymore. You don't need a wetsuit. It's water and warm. No, but I can't go out there with... How about the gardening, hon? We have all the gardening tools. It's in your blood. We have everything you need. It's a little late in the season, don't you think? No. Oh, not at all. You could do a fall crop. Now's a good time to get your fall crop in. Yeah, and you know what? Let it... Uh-oh. No, we didn't lose her. Pick up that guitar. Learn some stuff. There you go. It's a beautiful guitar. Make it right. I feel like...
I wanted to bring this up on the air so that it would happen. And now I've brought it up on the air and it isn't going to happen. Yes, it shouldn't happen. You should learn how to play Train on the guitar. That's a compromise. Two birds. That's a great idea. Is it? You play Hey Soul Sister. Yeah, there's a band. We've got plenty. I have a question. Uh-oh. How, you know, how were you going to pay for... Oh. It was my question, too. Yeah, of course it was. I'll pay with it with my allowance. Oh. Where are the crickets? Which you don't get till November. I was going to say, I think we're out till November. No, we're not. Weird that I keep track of that. Yeah. Are we out till November for real? Be serious. Second October. Huh? Halloween. Oh, my gosh. You should be a conductor for Halloween. How dare you? How dare you? I get you a train whistle. Or you should be a golfer or a guitar player. Or a surfer. Or a photographer. You should be Ansel Adams. You should be Francis Ford Coppola. A gardener. There's a million options you have. Movie maker. Movie maker. Author. Author. Yes. Author. I just ordered a swimming pool float. And my wife. My wife.
made so much fun of me. I can't order a swimming pool float these days without a joke flying at me. Even Chris is looking at me sadly right now. Even our phone screener is looking at me sadly. Too lazy to swim. Someone out there makes reality shows. I'm telling you. This is a winner. This is a winner. Book it. I need to see the life and times of the Esparza family. Oh, my gosh. Just need one camera upstairs on the bed. How dare you? And here's Mikey. How dare you? Nude with a laptop. And then a camera clipped onto his laptop. Yes. And see what he's browsing online. Hey, did I tell you guys about... I didn't tell you because it happened over the weekend. I think it happened Friday. she was scolding me for making her look crazy, for being jealous. And she's like, why don't you tell them about my Facebook profile that you were telling me you thought was too provocative? Oh, my gosh. Let me look at that right now. On Friday, he goes on there and he's like, oh, yeah, Rebecca and her little jealous rants. And he's like, wait a minute.
You're the one that's like, oh, so you're friends with a guy from high school now, huh? Oh, my God. No, no, no, no, no. Excuse. Excuse. Excuse. Excuse. Those are other jokes. Excuse. No, I didn't. Hey, I didn't know that you added the high school friend. You told me. You're like, oh, and there's this guy, blah, blah, blah. And I go, who's that? And she's like, oh, he's this guy I knew in high school. And I go, how did you get in touch with him? And she goes, oh, on Facebook. And I go, did he add you? She goes, no, I added him. She goes, I went on like a high school spree. I'm like, oh, are you trying to like make love or, you know, making connections? Is she only allowed to be friends with women? Yes, that's a great idea. And she goes, you do that all the time. And I go, right, but that's who I've always been. I've always been that guy. I'm like, all of a sudden. You just start adding high school dudes? I'm like, what? It's nice to reconnect. Wow, Rebecca, I'm looking at the picture he's talking about. Made him jump off a diving board, babe. He turned into Greg Louganis. Holy mackerel. Your friend list is going to go way up. That's not funny, babe. That's not funny. Oh, gosh.
Holy mackerel. Way to squash the train dream, Rebecca. Yeah, thank you. That was in and out. I love you, honey. Hey, thanks for saving me for six months of hearing about trains and having to come over and see trains. Thank you, baby. You get to make different courses that the tracks go on. This is a woman repeller. No wonder she's adding guys to my school. What happened with the 405 closure? We'll tell you about that. Wood's wife. is in the studio. Hubba, hubba. Talk about angels. She's very good looking. She is. It's okay for me. I am allowed to say that. Yeah, it's fine. With impunity. Yes, you get impunity. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes. Oh, stop it. She's graduated from Steel Canyon High, and she did really good. Are you friends with her on Facebook, Woods? No.
It's funny. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. My wife is in the studio. Right behind him. Timing. Right behind him, but not a good day on Friday for Sears.com. They inadvertently advertised the iPad 2 for $69, which is a little bit less than its $744.99 price that it usually goes for. They won't say the exact number they had to give out, but it went viral. Hit social media. the mistake, and they have to honor the mistake. Oh, my God. They're not saying how many, but it's a lot. Food. A lot. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Sports is brought to us today by our friends at Frank's Red Hot. Frank's Red Hot. Yes. Well, if you didn't hear earlier, Darren Clark won the British Open, shot an even par 70, but he finished five under par, earning his first major championship, which is really cool. And this was a crazy story. Former NFL running back, Reno Mahat, Say it. Whoa. Reno Mahe used to play for the Eagles. He is in a lot of trouble. Guy's been stealing gas. Oh, wow. Up to $15,000 in gasoline. Was going to a construction site. He had a special code, and he would pump gas after hours and then leave. Jared, and he's amazing. He can get anything done for you graphic design-wise right away. As a matter of fact, one of the things I said to him this weekend is I said, one of the coolest things about you, I go, is I basically can say, ask you anything, and the answer is, oh yeah, no problem. You can go, okay, but can you give me a plaid elephant inside of a 747? He could be like, well, what kind of 747? He's amazing. You want a Boeing? Yeah. So, JaredCreateYourDesignOnline.com. You've got to check out his website. And it's pretty awesome. So, Woods was just getting me about my train thing. Proclivity. Yeah, I want to collect them. But how about this? Woods writes in his recap. The toilet seat in our master bathroom broke. I wonder how that happened. But it goes on to say, like any good red-blooded American man, you went to Home Depot where your wife picked out the new toilet seat and installed it. Yes. Of course. It's a true statement. Sad. You were on your laptop in bed. Correct. Wow. When we got home. Happy birthday. You didn't even want to go in and see if she needed some help or supervise. I know my limitations, LLB. Really?
Yeah, putting a couple bolts this past year. Screwing. Yeah. I can screw LLB. I just can you, you know. He did feel bad since in the process of doing it, she did slice her finger open and get blood all over the bathroom. That's a true statement. Again. Did you clean it up just to help out? No. You're a guy's guy? Part of your limitations. Well, Woods wrote on here, he does wonder if she's ever disappointed that she didn't marry a man. You know, she's here. Jamie, come here. Come talk to us about this. Sweet little angel. Sweet little angel. You can be on this, Mike. You're just like, Rebecca, I don't do the handiwork either. If you had bought the toilet, Rebecca would have put it in. I actually know that a toilet requires two bolts on the bottom. Toilet seat is maybe... I can do two things. I think I can change the toilet seat and I can change...
Light bulbs in the stairwell. Those are the only two. If it's more than that, I'm going to have a hard time. Just write it down. I can do those two things. Other than that, I've got a difficult time. Jamie, you do the handiwork at the house. I do all of the handiwork. He forgot to tell you that I had to beg him to come inside Home Depot with me. I wanted to talk on the phone to Bauman, my friend. He was in the car. It was bad. I said, what do you need me in there for? You don't need me. What am I going to do in there? To be her friend, her companion. I am her friend. I married her. Her companion, her husband. I am her companion. Her lover. I was on the phone talking to your friend, a guy. Right. And your wife wanted the companionship of her husband to be in there to be with her. It was against my will that I had to go to Home Depot. So I wanted to talk on the phone. Who broke the toilet seat? Me. How did you break the toilet seat? Being fat, I'm sure. Do you know how it actually happened? I don't know how it happened. You sat on it and it broke. One bolt broke so you would sit down and you'd start to shift. Part of it would fall off and finally we just ripped the whole thing off. By we, you mean you. How long did you guys let that?
A week? No. Two weeks? Way longer than that. I kept asking him to go get a toilet seat. Of course. I don't know that stuff. During normal working hours, Jamie's at work. This requires a little effort. I'm going to call me out and you out at the same time. So it's not just you, Woods. I'm throwing both of us under the bus. I live there, dude. I don't care. All right. But I believe that we both do a bit. Where we pretend that we don't know. Duh. Everybody knows it, too. I don't know how, babe. I don't know how to do it. I'll screw it up. I don't know how to do the toaster oven, Jay. Chris, I really don't know how that coffee maker works. I don't really know how that... How does that coffee maker work? L-O-B, how do you print things? Yeah, how do you print? I can't print something. How dare you. Don't think we don't know it. How dare you. Don't think we don't know it. Some things I don't. Some things I don't know how. Hey, listen, when it comes, I get my own coffee, I make my own food, but I don't know how to do handy stuff. I just don't. Really, how many times have you asked me to help put the toaster oven out here? I don't know how to work that thing. It requires... Nobody does except Jay. Except Jay. Chris does. Jay's out there whipping up, you know, Chateaubriand and that thing. I can't toast a bagel. Our third day of work, Woods offered Jay $50 in U.S. currency. Real money.
He was trying to learn how to load audio into our computer system. And Woods goes, dude, I'll give you 50 bucks if you do this for me. He goes, no, I ain't doing it. I'm going to teach you how to do it. You're going to do it. Such a dab. I can teach you how to do it in five minutes. While I make hush puppies. He learned. I did. It's a good thing. Yes. Well, you should be watching Jamie so that, you know, next time around. Come on, a little bit. It's two bolts. There's no excuse for not being able to put a toilet seat on. It's two bolts. It requires a crescent wrench. Super simple. I don't have one. Easy crescent wrench. Easy, Bob Bela. I don't have a crescent wrench. I wouldn't know what the hell it would look like if I did. Apparently you do. Rebecca and Jamie are patient women. Yeah. We couldn't be with, we couldn't be married to other women. They'd be like, they'd get real tired of it. I wonder if they ever talk to one another about how lame we are. Yeah. I'm sure they do. Ladylike. Like, I wonder if Jamie will come over and be like, what's that? And Rebecca has to explain some new thing that I'm into. Some dumb thing. Every Monday night. Every Monday night. She goes over and goes, what's that? I bet people go, what is that?
And Rebecca has to explain, oh, it's a new chess set that Mike got. With a roll of the eyes and a shake of the head. Right. And it'll be like, oh, I didn't know he plays chess. And she'll go, he doesn't. He just likes to look at it. Is that a new Bible? I thought he had 16 Bibles. He does. He actually has 46 Bibles, but this is a new one. 16 in that color. He collects them. I just ordered, I bought a Bible cover. And it didn't fit. So then I bought another one that did fit. And I don't like it. So I just ordered one. Wow. Now, to my defense, I'll donate the other ones. That makes it better. Such a philanthropist. Yes. Hey, guess what? L.O.B. wrote that the Smurfs movie is coming out on Friday! Yeah. I am so capital S-O.
I am so excited for this. Sounds like our Hungarian nanny. I am so excited for this. Maybe, she says, maybe we go as a show. Who doesn't like the Smurfs? I don't. You never watch the Smurfs? When I was six. I saw a couple episodes. Are you really excited? Yes. They've been talking about this for like two years. You mean movie makers? Everyone. Oh, people. Premier Magazine. It's on the streets. Yeah. The Hollywood Report. The people on the scene are doing it. I was thinking we could go on Friday. We. As a show. Us people. I'm going to pass on a cartoon for kids. Raise your hand if you're excited about the Smurfs. One person. You got one. Two. There's 150 people in this studio right now. For sure. As a matter of fact. I want you all to applaud so that people listening know how many people are in here. There's a lot of people in here. L.O.B. is bright red because she just said, hey, and knew. When she was asking the question, she knew every hand is about to fly up. Raise your hand in here if you guys love Smurfs. She's drunk. One hand. Wow. Okay, one and a half. Alex was like two.
He's barely raising his head. I really like L.O.B. He's like, all right. Shame me into it. Darn it. I'm shocked. Why? I don't know where my headphones case is, but Smurfette is on my headphones case. Is it a cartoon, the movie, or is it a... It's like... Yes. It's not live action. CGI little things. Oh, gosh. I think there's real people and the little Smurfs running around. Yeah. You're really going to go, L.O.B.? Yeah, I want to go on Friday. You're going to take your niece? What were you just doing? Isolate. That's a smurf. That's an immediate isolate. I never understood why there was only one female smurf. Smurf it! That's it? There was only one smurf? She must have been busy. She was a temptress. Maybe that's why all the boy smurfs were blue. Gargamel made her. And she was supposed to tempt all the smurfs. Honestly, honestly, and this will come as no surprise, never seen it, don't know anything about it. So what was the idea behind the Smurfs? The Smurfs? Mm-hmm. They were like those little things, you know, that lived in the village. They lived in mushrooms. They lived in mushroom land? Yes. Yeah. And they were good. All good. They were all good. In the Smurf land. And Gargamel was the bad guy. Gargamel was the evil Gargamel with his little cat. Oh, gosh, what was his cat? Ariel? I don't know. I forget what his cat's name was. From episode to episode? Uh-huh. What was the idea? What was the plot?
Just different shenanigans. Shenanigans like knocking on doorbells and running? No, just like different Smurfs would get into different situations. Like pregnant? There's usually a moral of the story. No. Although Smurfette was questionable. Is that for real or are you joking? She would always back her eyelashes. Wait, Woods. I want to know. I want to know. I want to know. She was created as a temptress by Gargamel. But she was overcome. Wait, wait, wait. When you say temptress, like she was supposed to get the other Smurfs to want her? Yes. And then she was going to do like evil things to them. So she'd be like, come and get some. Yeah. She would bat her eyelashes all the time. But then she was overcome by the goodness of the Smurfs. Papa Smurf. Papa Smurf. Yes. And Papa Smurf... Was he like the head of them all? He was like the Jim Jones. He was a wise old sage, that Papa Smurf. Oh, I'm going. In fact, I'm going to maybe see if they have it on Netflix or Hulu and brush up on my Smurf episodes before I go to see the movie. Because I haven't seen an episode of the Smurfs in like 20 years. Do you really think that it's necessary to sort of familiarize yourself with the... I forget all the little characters' names, but... M1 Shelley from Rancho San Diego.
Hi, Mikey. Hi. I'll go with L.O.B. on Friday. I don't have to work. Oh, she's got a date. Well, it's my boyfriend, my BFMC's 30th birthday, so he... Happy birthday to him. That poor bastard of that movie, dude. He's got to go to the Smurfs because his girlfriend's in there. I guarantee he wants to go. No, you're crazy. You guarantee. I'll bet you $1,000. I'll bet you $2,000. He don't want to go to his birthday. If he's listening, I wish that he would call in because I would think... I'm shocked that you guys... You grow up, Pete. Grow up. What do you mean? Not on his birthday. That film is going to make $14. No. It'll probably do good for kids. No way. I bet you there'll be Smurfs at Comic-Con. I guarantee it. I was almost Smurfette last year for Halloween. I thought you guys were going to be like... Wow, like a slow class. I was going to walk in and be Smurfette and be like all in blue, but I didn't want to get makeup everywhere. I'm fascinated by the story. The Smurfs? Never knew that there was like a little temptress that was like...
Come and get it. She was so overcome by the goodness of the Smurfs. That she stopped being a temptress. Yeah, she stopped being part of Gargamel's. Do they mate and have Smurfs? I can't remember. Because they would just mate with her. Does anyone remember if there was baby Smurfs? I don't think so. And one ninja from San Diego. Hey, guys. Hi. I think I figured this out. I think it's everyone who's like 29, 30, 31. There was like a Smurf fest going on when we were growing up. And I'm obsessed with a Smurf, too. I'm 30. And the cat's name is Azrael. Yes, Azrael. Yes. And I know so many people who are my age who name their cats Azrael. Azrael, sadly enough, was addicted to heroin after the show ended. But my brother was a big Smurf fan, too. And he's 38. And he actually stole from the doctor's office. He stole all the little rubber Smurfs. No, I totally was a Smurf one year for Halloween when I was a kid. It was phenomenal. I was Paul Stanley from Kiss, and then I grew out of that as well. Did you? It's really great. Actually, anything that's that sweet and kind and promotes kindness, what can be wrong with that? It must be my good nature that draws me to the Smurfs. The actor that played Papa Smurf.
actually became a meth addict and was on one of the episodes of Intervention. No. Celebrity Rehab. Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. He was with Steven Adler. Yep. He was on the one with Steven Adler. Yeah. It's tough. If people didn't like it, they wouldn't be making a movie out of it. I'm shocked. Lauren, wasn't there like a bad smirk though? I feel like I recognized that there was a bad smirk. I feel like there was. Yeah. Eric. Yeah, Eric. He had like, he had like eyebrows, like dark eyebrows. Yeah, it was Eric the Smurf. Yeah, Eric the Smurf. And his deal was he would wear a cast. No. And try to get people to help him put couches in the back of his van. Right. And sometimes he'd do the tuck back and dance in front of the mirror. Drop his robe. And blue, yeah. And he'd go. She's a great big frat person. Hey, I'm Eric. I'm the bad smurf. Sometimes I drop my robe. I'm shocked. That's not nice. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. M1, Jim is on the line. And Jim is from OB. Are you there, Jim? Yeah, I'm right here. Go ahead. Go ahead. You're on the air.
Hey, Mikey, you guys are awesome, man. I listen to you guys every morning while I drive around and try to get my daughter to fall asleep. Thank you, bro. Thank you. Yeah, she's my brand new six-week-old daughter. Anyway, there's a lot of theories out there that the Smurfs are based on communism. A hundred percent. I agree. That Papa Smurfs with his red hat. Yep. Yeah. Commie. It's supposed to look like Stalin. Yep. Pinko commie. Pinko commies. When they get sick, they turn black, as in... L-O-B. A little racism. L-O-B. L-O-B? Yeah, I heard the Smurfs were actually based on Aryan Nation. Well, it started in... Skinheads. Skinheads. They actually are supposed to be skinheads. It started in Germany. Did it? Yeah. Yes. The original name of the show was supposed to be the Third Reich Smurfs. Z. Z Smurfs. And then they were like, probably won't work. I thought it started in, like, Sweden or something. They're dead. Dead serious, man. That's what it's supposed to be based on. That's why the cat's name is Osriel. Also, Gargamel. Gargamel what? Johnson. Gargamel Steinbeck. I don't know. Maybe they do a Dateline NBC and try to figure out what's going on with it. People realize the truth all this time. You thought it was just a harmless show. Turns out, LLB, you were watching some Nazi-driven propaganda. So am I a communist then? Yes. I'm an ex- Pinko commie. Pinko.
I'm a communist. Yeah, you're a communist. Lauren O'Brien. 570. Who knew? 194.9 is our number. That's what most people thought was a harmless child's tale. Turned out not to be a child's tale at all, was it? Well, yes, L.O.B. sat there eating her lucky charms in the morning. Not a communist! No one knew this whole time she was harboring communist feelings. I love America! Of course, if you go to her shows, you'll hear undertones of... Communism? It's red, white, and blue. 570-1949 is our number. Let's see. What have I not mentioned to you? Oh, J-Lo and Mark Anthony. They're getting a divorce. Weird. That's weird. Kind of surprised me because I thought they lasted a long time. It's the longest marriage for her. Oh, yeah, that's right.
Maybe number four, five here. For real, how many do you know? I think this is number four. No. Really? Has she really been married that many times? Mm-hmm. Well, I think, this is why I wish Santa was here. I think that that, it's either third or fourth. She goes, no, Lauren, it's three times. Three. She had that Chris guy. The crazy one. She had the first clown, and then. The crazy dude. Yeah, I need to know. Did she ever marry Ben Affleck or no? No. But they did date. They were engaged, I believe. 570-1949 is our number. Japan won the World Cup. The women did not from the United States. Japan got you. But they do believe that this is good for Japan because it lifts their spirits. They needed it, my man. I'm going to tell you all about the 405. Carmageddon. How bad was it this weekend? A half a million people traveled the 405. And they shut a giant 10-mile area of it down. How did it go? Oh, gosh. I like this show. I don't like being alone. I don't like going places alone. I killed my first deer when I was seven. On FM 94.9. Make some noise in our live studio. So, Carmageddon. The 405. They closed the 405 this weekend. And they were calling it Carmageddon because ten miles of it were going to be shut down. And they were thinking, well, if we shut down... There are 500,000 people that use it on the weekends. It's obviously going to result in massive confusion and people are going to freak out and get into accidents. It turned out to be a non-issue. They finished early, as a matter of fact. They were being criticized because one of the things they were saying about the people there was that it could have been done in... It could have been done by...
building it right next, because what they had to do was knock down this bridge. They were saying, well, they could have built the bridge right next to it. They didn't have to knock it down and rebuild it the way they did. So that's one of the things that they're being criticized for. But apparently everything went calm, ended Sunday. Everything's up again. People are going, moving the whole bit. And Ella B was telling me that people were getting in trouble. Because they were walking out onto the empty freeway, correct? There was, I think they said like eight trespassers. There's a couple people on skateboards. That had to be so fun. I saw pictures of people planking. Yes, there were two people planking. Good God. Planking is the bit. That's the ultimate plank. Yeah. It is an ultimate plank. Yes. Planking on an empty Los Angeles freeway? It's a forbidden plank. It's the forbidden plank. You're laying down on a freeway. Yep. Rad. But straight as an arrow with your arms back. With your arms back. That's planking. This is what we've come to in this world. Planking. Is it fun? Is it fun? Have you planked? Yes, it's stupid. Don't knock it until you try it. It's so dumb. Wood just calls it sleeping. Yeah, it's sleeping. What's the ultimate plank?
The ultimate plank, maybe like the Great Wall of China or something like that. I've seen, there's a website called The Best Planks, and there's a guy planking in an airplane. His head is in one luggage compartment, his feet are in the other. Oh, man, that's fantastic. That guy's amazing. He's an amazing man. Holy cow. You should be commended. It's just stupid. Planking is laying on your belly and going stiff as a board and having your arms behind you and then sort of arching your back on famous things. Be as straight as you can. Oh, I thought it was arching. No, it's straight. That'd be straight. Maybe planking on top of the Sphinx. Maybe a pyramid. That would be a great plank. Planking on top of Casey Anthony would be very topical. Oh, now you're talking my language. Yeah, I can get behind that. I don't think so. Maybe on the torch of the Satch of Liberty. It's an incredible plank. Top of McDonald's sign. Planking me? Planky. Someone wrote, On my Facebook, well, first of all, on the Today Show this morning, we saw footage of Casey Anthony leaving the county jail. Then you saw footage of a private jet allegedly flying her out. Now, someone wrote and said on my Facebook that the owner of that jet is a pilot from Carlsbad Airport. And is it possible that she flew?
To Carlsbad, California. In fact, possible that at this very moment, Casey Marie Anthony is in San Diego. Hey, everybody, we're all going to get laid. That's an unusual thing for Jay to play. Yeah, that's a little. And boom goes the dynamite. That was just weird. But whatever. Look at the fun bags on that horse hound. I'll kill her. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. That was a joke. It's a joke. These are the jokes. Less any cops want to show up and arrest you. It's a joke. I'm not going to kill anybody. No. You may want to, but it doesn't mean you will. Why do you have that big Bowie knife with you today? Why do you have a shotgun on and a t-shirt that says, I'll get you, Casey? I'll get you, B. It's for the jokes. I go for the shock value. That's right. What if?
I said to my wife, what if you ran into her at the forum in Carlsbad? And she goes, I won't. Like all mad, I won't. I'm like, oh, take it easy. I go, how do you know that you won't? She goes, because she's that stupid. Isn't she? She goes, she's not going to go out in public. And I go, babe, nobody expects her here. Of course she could. Put on a baseball cap and a ponytail and she could be walking around. Just chilling down on Moonlight Beach. Real good. She's going to have to work. Is she? No, she's not. She can't work. She can't work, Jay. How is she going to make a living? Dude, she's got to go and fill out an application and it says, have you ever been convicted of a felony? She has not. She has not. Holy crap. She won't have to work though, dude. She sells the movie rights. She didn't say her name. She sells the movie rights and the book rights. She's done. You just blew my mind. She has not been convicted of a felony. She should get any job in the world. Yeah.
She should be president of the United States. She's, in fact, appealing her misdemeanor charges. That's balls. Mm-hmm. That's ballsy. Mm-hmm. She's appealing her misdemeanor charges? They still want it reduced to one count. Maybe you don't tempt fate anymore. Question, Woods. Yes. Now, this is real. This is not meant to elicit humor. I want to know a real answer here. Okay. If you were walking at a shopping center... and you recognized her, would you just walk by or would you approach and say anything? I wouldn't approach and say anything, but I would also keep tabs on her for probably about, probably 45 minutes. I was going to say 15. I would say probably 45. I would do, let's say we're at the grocery store. Yeah. And I would look at this and I would just always be watching out of the corner of my eye. What is that brought up to? Why is she buying Pop-Tarts? My wife said she would talk to her.
Your wife did? She said she would talk to her. What would she say? I go, what would you say? And she goes, I would want to say something really awful. She goes, but she goes, I would say to her if you need someone to talk to so that she could like minister to her. And I go, I go, that's the crazy talking. She doesn't need any sympathy. It isn't about sympathy. My wife would want to. Help her and, like... Get a confession. Get her to... Because my wife hates her. Yeah. Me too. So she would want to, like, turn her, you know, good. I would follow her until I found out where she lived. Oh, wow. And then what would you do? Then I'd know. And that's all I want. That's it. Just wanted to know. I am. If she was in the mall, I would follow her around for a number of minutes. I would...
probably want to see what, if I could walk close enough to be like... You want to smell her? I want to smell her? You're a smeller. Crazy. How dare you? I'm crazy for feeling you. He just won't admit it. I just go straight past her to the beach, get on my board and go surf, Mike. You know that. Does he think that I don't know how crazy it is that I want to smell, that I would do that? I'm admitting it. You are strange. There's a bag of trash over here. You can smell that. It's white. Same thing. Smells exactly the same. That's what it smells like. I'm just admitting. Would you, Woods? Smell her? Yeah, I'd probably smell her. I'm creepy. I'd definitely follow her. I'd follow her, and if she were at a kiosk, yeah, you'd be taking pictures. If she were at a kiosk, wouldn't you walk up to the kiosk and be like, just so that you could be like, Casey Anthony was wearing Michael Kors. I don't know where she got it. I don't know where she got it. Who bought it for her? Except for you. Okay, fine.

Make some noise in our live studio audience. Fox 10 in Phoenix ran the following story about a TSA agent getting grabbed. You know, at 6, we hear a lot of complaints about security screenings. gropings and those airline passengers and security lines. Tonight, a Colorado woman accused of putting her hands on a TSA agent at Sky Harbor Airport. So it's kind of a reversal there. Court records show Yakuri Mimame grabbed the left breast of a female agent yesterday at Terminal 4. Police say she squeezed the breast and twisted it with both hands. Now she's facing a felony kind of abuse. No word on why she did what she did.
She likes my breasts. She likes my breasts. Yes, baby. What is this one's name? A story. Sign me up for that. Did she? Did she not? Come on. She's doing a search. She's doing her job. Now she's facing felony charges. No, Ella B. That's not the story. You got it wrong. You got it wrong, kid. You got it backwards. You got it backwards. Oh. Huh. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. Anywho. Well, I refused. The x-ray at Sky Harbor. Yes, you did. And I got patted down. My wife, Jamie, and I both went through the body scan. Yep. You have a thing to be proud of. They're not looking for that. They're like, okay, look at this guy. Jay. Aren't. They don't care. They don't. They have eyes. They're humans. They're human beings. Who cares? Who cares? They're humans. They're not snickering.
Aren't they? And what you don't know won't hurt you, my friend. What if I actually heard... Now that's a different thing. I'd be in therapy. You're in therapy. I know, but I'd have to add that to the docket. I'm afraid that out of that box that they're in, I'll hear a giggle. And that would devastate me. Out of the soundproof box. And I would say, that's rude. I just flew over the weekend and I had the full body scan. I'm thinking, man, why don't they just have a doctor look at that? Now I can see if I've got any dark masses and give me a full tune up while I'm there. Yeah, that won't slow the line down at all. Well, they're already doing it. They pull you aside and say, hey, sir, we just want to talk about what we found. Yes, sir, you have cancer. Yeah. Or give you a printout and let you take it to your doctor. Do with us what you will. Yeah, just have it go right to your doctor. Be a great flight home. Yeah. I'd rather know. I wonder what that is. I can tell you what it is. Hey, babe, I know we're on our way to Jamaica, but when we get back, I guess we know what we got to do. Maybe they just email you. Maybe not. Maybe you just go to the doctor and just let it be expensive. Maybe you walk through a scanner and then be on your way. Get on your plane. Maybe you have a guy shining your shoes when you walk through. Take you some time. Yeah. The guy hated me instantly.
And I didn't go through it. Of course he did, because you're making it. Dude, I was yes sir, no sir, yes sir, no sir, very polite, very nice. I just didn't want my fat body to be scanned and see my stuff. Fair enough. So I went over, and then what did I get instead? I got his hand right up my thing. Yeah. Way to stick it to the man, Mike. Well, it sounds like the man stuck it to Mike in that case. He was making a stand for civil rights. Yeah. Well, I won't anymore. Yeah, you're going right through, aren't you? Well, let me tell you something. They make it so that next time you don't go through the indignity of the search. Right. Maybe I'll go just to see what it's like. I picked the line just because it was a shorter line. I went to the screener by choice. What I like, too, is if you could go through and they give you a haircut. Yeah. Because, you know, plane tickets are expensive. So if I'm going to go to the airport, I get a haircut, get a shave, get my shoes shined, and a full body mask. Now you're talking. Pine of milk. Pound of milk. Pound of milk. Put a little convenience store in there while I'm going through. I should get my body scan and some beef jerky. How about a Korean massage? That'd be nice. Full release. Happy ending. Oh, Mike. What? I had to go there.
Oh, like y'all have never been to Asian Tan? Is that what you're trying to tell me? Down there in Salona Beach. You know what I'm talking about. Yeah, the one behind third. Right. With the blank red door? Right. This has a red door. Don't say nothing. Don't say nothing. But ask for Lee. When you're going to come? And you're going to go. If Lee ain't there, ask for Jwin. Zing Ruffling. Heck yes for anybody. Well, the only one that ain't good is Ted. He only works on Wednesdays. Just tell him Jay sent you. And Ted will work in a pinch if you get McGrath. Hey, listen. Close your eyes. It's all the same. It's all the same. It ain't you, so it's different. You filthy bird. You dirty, dirty, dirty bird. You dirty, dirty bird. You just made Hillary blush. I learned my lessons from Jay. That's right. Hillary. Oh, babe. Let me tell you something. If I told you this guy tried to embarrass L.O.B. over the weekend.
Bad move. Don't try to... Yeah, I bet. He tried to say something that he thought she would be like, oh my gosh, that's so outrageous. He said to her, it was her boyfriend's friend. And he says to her, as they're all together, hanging out, he thinks he's going to embarrass her. He goes, I hear you play a mean skin flute. And without even batting an eye, she goes, yes, I do. In the key of C. Because that stands for bleep. Oh, girl. And he was like. That's why I love L-O-B. Choked on his beans. Choked on his beans. Nicely done. Max just looking at him like, yep, this is what I deal with. It's my girlfriend. It's my girlfriend. Yes, she does. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Save filthy things. I've been burning in my loins right now. I meant, yes, she does save filthy things. That's all I meant. And play the... 10 days, 10 hours, 3 minutes, 13 seconds. That is the countdown now for the Wipeout viewing party at Dave & Buster's. Cannot wait. Woods and Jay are going to appear on ABC's Wipeout. They've already taped it.
I know. What's his expression? Millions of people. Millions. Millions. I can't wait. All my family, they were asking, what's your nickname going to be? I was like, I have no idea how they're going to paint us. We're going to be lunatics. I'm going to be fat. You're going to be fat. Dude, it's going to be miserable. Can't really blame it on them. Yeah. Although the TV, the camera does add 10 pounds. Woo! Seven cameras. I'm not going. You're going. It's going to be great. I'm not going. You just think people are going to make fun of you. They're not going to make fun of you. Everybody wipes out. They make fun of me. If I say the wrong word on the radio, I get filleted. So how do you think that's going to be? I'm not going. It's going to be awesome. Yeah. It's going to be awesome. I think you're a hero. I think you're a hero on a national television show. You don't sell me, okay? You sell girls. You don't sell me. Listen, I think it's a national television show. I haven't been on a national television show. You have. Yeah. So is Ro. So is Jay. Yeah. That's why we call you Hollywood. Hollywood. Hollywood.
So we're going to watch this and everybody is invited. Come on down to Dave and Buster's and we're going to be giving away some Dave and Buster's power cards while we're down there too. Hollywood will be signing autographs. That's right. It's Hollywood's. Hollywood's. Hollywood will be signing autographs. So there was a bald eagle that was saved by an Oregon vet and he did it by performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Mouth-to-beak. Mouth to beak. And blow and blow. Into the little eagle's mouth. Actual audio. That's insane. A little bunny. A jackrabbit. Yeah, there's a bunch of jackrabbits. Got hit. One of them got hit. And I stared at that thing. Walked out. Stared. And just studied. Does it make you sad? It was fascinating to me. Was it still alive? No, it was gone. It didn't make you sad? It had expired. It had expired. Well, I'm just going to be completely honest with you. There are literally thousands of those things everywhere. Had it been a dog, it would have got me sad. But it's rabbits that are everywhere. They're a nuisance. And they're actually drawing rattlesnakes in because they're food.
You don't get to see that up close every day. Is that weird? It made me wonder to myself if it was like a trait of a psychopath. Yeah, it's like Jeffrey Dahmer. That's how he started. Dahmer started that way, right? He started that way. Examining dead animals. Dead animals. You have a lot to look forward to. It's a bit macabre, right? I hit one with a golf ball. I hit a ground screamer, and it hit the little bunny right in the head. It killed him. Did you examine it? I walked over and I felt really bad. Because you want to see what it's like. I was hoping I could bring it back. You want to know what it's like. You want to see what they're like. You don't get to see them up close. We had rabbit soup for three days after that at my house. Yeah, fed the whole family. Jasper loves rabbit. Crackers and rabbits. Very tender and lean. Yeah, Jasper requests rabbit dumplings. Rabbit jerky. Rabbit jerky. Rabbit skin t-shirt. Rabbit peanut butter. Kim's got a new rabbit coat. Kim's got a new coat. I have rabbit drawers on. Yeah. I don't wear drawers. Okay. What do you got coming up next, Hillary? Oh, goody. I'm going to play something from the new Bon Iver record because that's kind of what we're listening to all weekend. And that new Kooks record that's coming out, I'll get something on from that. I grabbed Fugazi, New Sublime with Rome, Desert Island Discs at Noon. All kinds of good stuff. Sweet. Yeah. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. And we will come back here tomorrow morning at 6 and do this all over again. The Mikey Show's out. Get it.
We're not trying to be the junior varsity version of a world-famous station in L.A. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
