A dude calls in with a horrendous commute. Sienna reports on Lindsay Lohan’s jail conditions and Woods tells his tale of being locked up. The Kid likes Lindsay’s tweets. Taxpayers shelling out 300 million for a new city hall debate are next. Mikey’s Mexicaness defines him. Dr. LOB explains how the new HIV prevention gel works on a woman’s body. Woods announces he’s going to try hypnosis to kick the butts habit. The gang recaps their day of playing Mikey Golf (miniature golf). During the game Woods threw a tantrum, going Bob Knight on his golf equipment while the slack-jawed public stared at him. Sienna gets pissed when people compare her name to the mini-van. Giving fake names at restaurants leads to funny fake voices bits. While Woods is a Tom Fool 24/7, Mikey is more of a quiet, sarcastic joker off air. Get ready baristas in San Diego, you’re going to be getting orders from a lot of Hoyles! WoS has dummy Dwayne Wade audio saying “the World Trade has come down again”. What does Michael Jordon think of LeBron? Rules are laid out for the “Grab a bat, Pal” challenge. Woodsy drills Jay in the sack! The upset government contractors have the guys scrambling back to the studio. So who won? Listen and find out. Urban Survivor takes on a Roman health spa and water park. The Panel discusses oil, tar, and pregnant teens. Talk about arguing couples leads to a funny Jay story. How often does Mikey go to concerts? A peeved Luke calls in noshing on baby food and makes fun of Mikey. DYD examines vacation educators, “line fetish” guy, and car foam protectors. Smells that LOB doesn’t mind leads to a Mikey confession. The laughs abound as the cast roasts each other about scepters, nerd stuff, and wild hair standing at attention! Lindsay Lohan’s jail trip parade on TV news sets the gang off. What’s more amazing than amazing? Sabrina explains 21 year old girl speak. Sienna reveals the Top Secret 4th branch of Government. News of a mom pimping her son for dates brings out Hoyle. Sienna tells the crazy hook-up story of her parents. Jay’s story of setting up his daughter somehow leads to a hilarious Mikey roast. Bwabwa Wabwa is not pleased to here the drugged out Whoopi Goldberg audio. New Releases see a good one from a real Digweed. Poor sister Waverly, she just has to accept that Grandma will always view her as second fiddle to Sienna. Mikey reviews the Movie “Inception”.

KBZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. FM 94.9. Love to get your calls in here. Give us a call. It's 570-1949. Or, if you'd like, you could also text us. 949mikey at gmail.com. Some people prefer the text because, you know, they're shy. We got a big day today, man. What is it? Today's Tuesday? Yep. Taking my pops to get surgery today. My dad has had these kidney stones forever. And so we're hoping that we can get rid of some kidney stones today. And yeah, the weather's back. It's just, we're going to tell you a little bit later about how we, as a show, went to do miniature golf yesterday. Which was fantastic. That was awesome. It was fantastic.
Open phone lines. Now, when we say open phone lines, we mean whatever you want to talk about. It could be whatever is interesting to you right now in the news, whatever's going on in your life, any of that kind of stuff. So give us a call right now and ask questions or get on whatever we're talking about. We're going to be hitting on a few things. Why San Diego feels the need to spend gajillions of dollars on things that we personally don't feel that they should. Need to spend the money on. Also. Literally gajillions. Yeah. So much money. Gajillions. Is there a gel available for HIV? And also, Lindsay, big news today. Yeah. So we'll be telling you about that. And don't forget, we're going to be doing the hallway pitch off at 7 a.m. This is going to be ridiculous. Oh, yeah, it is. Now, what's the idea? Whenever. whenever we call Woodsy out on something, he says, yeah, grab a bat, pal. And the reason he says it, he's damn good at baseball. He always has been. And so he can pull the baseball card. He's good at it. Well, he has said that to Jay, our producer, before. Many a times. Many a times. And so finally, Jay said, fine, I'm going to grab a bat. Now, it's a wiffle ball bat. He's going to get embarrassed. It's like Little Titans. That's right. He's going to get embarrassed. I'm already embarrassed. We are...
Absolutely driving our engineering department crazy. Yes, they hate us right now. Per usual. Yeah. Per usual. Going to have to get those dudes a case of beer after this one. Absolutely. Because they are being cool. They are getting us hooked up. And I know we're going to irritate the building. Oh, yeah. I know that already. Per usual. Per usual. But I feel that it's needed. And so we will. Oh, my gosh. Do we have a lot of material? There's so much material today. Good. Pages and pages. I know it. Dreams of material. Yes. Your phone calls. Oh, by the way, wait till we tell you later. And what's on sports? What Dwayne Wade said. Oh, boy. Controversy. Dumb, dumb. So we'll get into that. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Woodsy's our sports guy. Lauren is our resident comedian. She does voices and she's also our assistant producer and has blonde flaxen hair. Whoa. Hello. Blue eyes. I can't even disagree with that because I don't know what it means. That's right. Our strawberry blonde is Sienna. Oh, hello. Scarlet. Yeah. Auburn. Auburn. Yeah. She has Toscient color hair. Crimson. How about I just make words up? Yeah, Toscient. It's a whole bunch of colors. It's Toscient. Toscient. Oh, that's another thing. New urban survivor on the show today. Yes. That should be nice.
The shoot just came into the room excited. That's right. And Jay is our producer. He's 47 years old and behaves much like a 23-year-old. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Guy can play some freaking mini golf, I'll tell you that. Yeah, he can. He stays so calm. He's so calm. I know. I am not. No. We'll get to that. No. A child. Yeah, bit of a child. M1 Chris from Marietta, you there? Morning, Mikey. Good morning, dude. How you doing? I'm doing good, man. I'm just making a trek down to San Diego. How you guys doing? We're doing good, man. What are you up to? I'm driving down to work. I work at Coronado. I commute from Marietta every day, so 72 miles each way. Wow. That's a lot. That is a lot. Bro, why not move to San Diego? I'm going to make some money after I would sell the house or something like that. I got you. I got you. Complications. I'm not going to complain about my commute anymore. Yeah. As of right now. Marietta. 72 miles one way. That's not that bad. 140 a day? 140, yeah, 144 a day. We'll get you. Yep. How long does it take you? Depends. In the morning, about an hour and a half, sometimes two hours, and depending on when I leave in the afternoon, anything between the same time. The other day, it took me two hours just to get destined.
Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. You must be a very patient man. Yeah. I don't know. I might drop the call here in a second, too, so that makes it even better. Hey, what's harder, Chris, going to work or coming home? Work for waking up, but you guys make it better, so I'd say going home. Yeah. Thank you. Take a long time to get home, too? Yeah. I can only imagine. You got to play the traffic, you know. Sometimes you want to wait a little bit. Yeah. Like, when I'm done with work, it's like, man, I can go home, but if I wait just another half an hour, traffic will be better. Yeah. Thank you, Chris. We appreciate the phone call, man. You guys have a fantastic day. You too, bro. I played that game for 15 years, man. And there was a window in Dallas. You lived in Dallas, Mike. The traffic is murder. And there's a window of about three minutes where if you catch it just right, you're going to be okay. And if not, you're looking at an hour and a half in your car. Yeah. Yeah, commutes are the worst. And speaking of traffic, get ready because tomorrow it will begin. Perfect. Tomorrow, the Del Mar racetrack opens back up, which, listen, I mean, if you live in San Diego, you ever been to the races, it's fun, it's a cool thing, but it does clog up that traffic real good. It's always clogged. Yeah. So it's going to be worse? Oh, yeah. Especially opening day, it is a scene. I feel like I live on the five.
Yeah. I live there. Really? Yeah. I take the same route as you. I don't have any problems. But I live way further down. Yeah. I live on the... I'm not lying. I drive it every day. It's awful. Like, I want to blow my head off. Yeah. It's brutal. Well, when that... It kills me. Listen, when that track starts back up again, it does. It gets really... The traffic gets really, really heavy. Yeah, it's killer. I'm going to thank my lucky stars for my commute. I feel like I don't... I used to hit traffic. Yeah. And I feel like I don't anymore. What's the deal, Sienna, with Lindsay Lohan? What's going on? She's going to the slammer today. So she is. She's going to the slammer. Because I thought that the deal was she had checked into that sober living and she was going to stay in the sober living, but maybe not. No, she went to the sober living basically because, I forget the guy's name, OJ's lawyer. Shapiro. Bob Shapiro? Yeah, Robert Shapiro. He is the guy that founded the sober living house that she went to. She wanted to get her hands on him to try to get him to represent her because look what he did for OJ. Not saying much, but...
That didn't work. He is representing her now, but she is going to need to go to jail still. So she checks in today to the Linwood Correctional Facility. She's going to be getting her own cell. She's not going to be allowed to interact with other inmates while she's inside the cell, which could be as much as 20 hours per day. Now, we talked about this. And one of the things that we said was that's going to be really tough on her. Oh, yeah. Because as a person, she does not like to be alone. She'll only be allowed to exercise three times a week. She's going to get the privilege of showering just once every other day. And in terms of food, she'll get two cold meals and one hot meal each day. Now, the good news for Lindsay is she's expected to only serve about 22 days of her 90-day sentence. Oh, wow. Yeah. We'll have another eight days of that mandatory. 30 days. We'll see what happens. I guarantee she'll be out sooner than that. Yeah. Still a long time. Well, sure. For somebody like Lindsay Lohan, 22 days will seem like a very long time. Yep. Man. I know. I didn't know about the whole, you only get to take a bath every other day. No. Woodsy was in jail. When you were in jail, did you get to... Did you get to... Whenever you wanted, but it's not something you really wanted to do. Right. Yeah. Did you wait every other day?
Maybe every other other day. Really? Yeah. I mean, it's a giant room. Sure. You don't want to go. You don't want to drop the soap in that room. No, you don't. No, man. I had gotten in a little trouble. And I got in trouble in Arizona, and that's not a place you want to get in trouble. It's mandatory, mandatory time. So, wait, Woods, you were just saying that you follow Lindsay Lohan on Twitter. What was that? No, somebody had sent me something. I don't know. What did she tweet this morning? I'll tell you right now. I'll tell you right now. He's like, oh, I wonder what she tweeted about. I follow her. And I'm like, what? Well, I'll tell you why I follow. It's kind of like watching the train wreck because you can't look away. She goes. It's funny. It's not funny. It's sad. She goes back and forth with her dad. Oh, it's really sad. On Twitter. And it's really like, it's really creepy. So she posted this about 10 hours ago. The only bookings that I'm familiar with are Disney films. Never thought that I'd be booking into jail. Eeks. Oh, wow. She's going to have a rough 22 days. That's really tough. I mean, just, you know, the freedom taken away, all that stuff. All the stuff I take for granted. I mean, really take for granted. I don't mean really.
really, really, really take for granted. How about going to the bathroom in private? Yeah. Everybody here agree that we all enjoy that? Yeah. I kind of enjoy that. She's not going to be able to do that. Well, she may. She will. But, like, only because nobody else is in her cell. Right. Right, because she's got to do it by herself. They cannot put her out there with the rest of the people. But it's like bars and people can walk by and see her sitting there. See, and it just depends. She may be in, like, a solitary room with one little... porthole window. Right. And somebody could walk by and look in. Right. But, you know, I was in a room with 40 other dudes. It was like a, it was a camp. Oh my gosh. Yeah. 40 other dudes. So if you had to do your business, you had to do your business in front of 40 other dudes. Yeah. It was off on the side and there's no partition. Nothing worse. Nothing worse. Nothing worse. It's the worst. Did you, did you, I held it for about three weeks. Did you ever get used to it? No. You never got used to it. I slept a total of maybe half an hour the whole time I was there. Oh, man. What? It was the worst, man. Don't drink and drive. I mean, take it from me. Take it from Lindsay Lohan. That's right. Don't drink and drive. It's not worth it. So the new City Hall, what are they estimating? Why do we need a new City Hall? Well, they're saying the City Hall is pretty old. And they're saying that they're spending $40 million.
annually for repairs on the old city hall. Really? Yeah. And it costs tax pay. How? Well, I don't know. I mean, really? $40 million a year. Maybe you get a new plumber who has a more affordable rate. Maybe you get a plumber and it's not a million dollars now. I know. Well, the building is half a century old and they're saying it's a public safety hazard. It also says that it costs taxpayers more than $13 million a year to lease outside office space. So they're like, okay, we need to revamp this thing. Let's make it better. Let's make it, you know, up to codes. Oh, and by the way, we work here. Yeah. And so let's decide what type of workplace we'd like. Yeah. How much should it cost? Oh, real cheap. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Real cheap. Only about $300 million. $300 million. To redo it, yeah. That was kind of part of the allure and the historic value of City Hall is it's old. Yeah. You kind of get to go there and check it out and be like, wow, look, a little part of our history right here. It's the same deal with the library downtown. I mean, like.
It's kind of cool to have an old library that's cool right downtown. But no, they're already going to revamp that one. Well, it just is a bummer for me because we can't get the Chargers a stadium built. We can't get teachers jobs. I know. I mean, that's a statewide thing. There's so many things that we can't do. And the reason that we can't do it is because we're upside down as a city budget. And the reason that we are is because of bad city government that has gotten us into a situation where we're all jacked up. I look at that and I go, all right, so it's time to get really super prudent. Can't do a football stadium, but... We need a new place to call work. 300 bills. Well, they're saying that it would save the city with this new $300 million City Hall. It would save the city nearly $250 million over its useful lifetime. Yeah, I wonder how much money Super Bowls after Super Bowl would generate here in San Diego. I wonder how much money we would make from tourism. You know, you can add the dollars up on both sides. It's just that one of them is City Hall that's adding it up.
Another thing that they say we spend for this city hall we have now is $9 million for sprinklers. What? Uh-huh. And other upgrades to meet fire codes. Wow. $9 million for sprinklers. That's insane. I know. Maybe you get a new electrician. Yeah. Irrigationist. Sprinkler guy. I know. Sprinkler man. Yeah. Let me go down there and do it. I'm sure somewhere in my DNA I know how. Absolutely. It should be instinctual. The original concept for this remodel, which was proposed in 2008, was this is half the price of the original concept that they wanted to do the remodel. So it would have been $600 million. So they're like, well, look, it's only $300 million this time. And it's a 19-story project. And we'll all get a chance to vote in November. Wouldn't it be great if, because I'm Mexican, I instinctually knew how to do certain things? Yes. I think you do. That bush needs to be cut a quarter inch. For sure. How do you know that? Did you go to some sort of training? Formal training? No. No, my last name is Esparza. Oh, okay. Gotcha. I got it. You're going to need to add some more chili powder. Yeah. That's right.
You need a quarter teaspoon more chili powder. How do you know you haven't even tasted it? Last name's Esparza. Oh, you would know. That margarita, not enough salt. You might want to put a little bit more sweet and sour in there. So then the other big, what do people think of that? 5701949, what do you think of a $300 million city hall? Is that cool? Maybe it is. Maybe you hear it and you go, yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what, Mikey? How could you possibly complain about that if we want to put our money somewhere where it needs to go is into beautiful shrubbery? I have a call to action for all of us. Next time we vote. That's right, Lauren. Next time we vote. None of us did. Well, what do we vote on? I don't know. All these different provisions and we'll be able to vote in November for the city hall. We do. Yeah, there you go. Maybe I register as a California citizen or resident. Yeah, good idea. Probably. It'd be good.
We vote. You know, this is the thing that gets me too about it before we move on. I just wish that there was a plan B. In other words, I don't want the solution to be, well, we either approve a new city hall or we keep spending $40 million a year. Because I don't like spending $40 million a year. Plan B is to put the lights on the bridge in Coronado. Right? That's it. So then we have something cool to look at. Millions and millions more. Yeah. Hey, listen. I think that lights on the Coronado Bridge would be gorgeous. I'd also like a toilet made of solid gold. You don't have one? No. 570-1949-M1. Jamie from Oceanside, are you there? Yes, I'm there. Go ahead. I mean, my thoughts, you know, we got, what, $300 million for, what, a new courthouse or what is it, a new city hall? New city hall. Your girlfriend just corrected you there, buddy. That's right. You know, possibly give it to, like, 300 families out here in San Diego or make it even, you know, what, 30,000 families and give them $100,000 to help them bail out a little bit. That'd be great. I like that. It'd be a slight idea, you know what I mean? I mean.
I know that I could use it. My family could use it. Hell, I just took my mom to get surgery today. She can't afford it. Jamie, Jamie, I got two words for you, bro. What's that? Mayor Jamie. Yeah. You got my vote. You got my vote, bro. Yeah. I'm in there. Thanks. I like it, dude. I think you're right. Start making buttons and signs. That's right. It's all in fairness, you know? I mean, all of us people are struggling like hell. We've had a hard time in life. We're just wanting to make it better and get by and, you know, pass on the love to somebody else. Thank you. I agree with you. I agree. Thank you, Jamie. We appreciate it. Okay, so, Sienna, what's the deal with this? HIV gel. This is pretty nuts. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention is calling this new gel an exciting step forward. And this is a gel for women to put in women areas. And it has been shown to help protect women from becoming infected with HIV. Wow. How does that work? Now, let's see. This is a big word. Spermicide almost. Kind of. Yeah. I thought that spermicide. Not mine.
Well, I know that there's something on the packaging of spermicidals that says something about it. I think that's supposed to set pregnancy, but there's some sort of warning that says this will not prevent against sexually transmitted diseases. And the new gel is, would it be like on condoms? No. No? It'd just be like... No, this gel, it's applied. You put it on the female parts and it's applied before and after intercourse. And it... It reduces infection in women by up to 50% after one year, 39% after 30 months. And in women who used it consistently, infection was reduced by 54%. Oh. Is this when you already have the infection? No. It's to prevent it. It's preventing it, yeah. It contains an antitroviral drug. Oh, yeah. Yep. I know that one. It keeps HIV viruses from multiplying. You know what I think? I'm like... So wait a minute. This gel has something in it that will prevent HIV. Why don't they just solve HIV from that? Well, I mean. If it'll kill it. It's not going to prevent it 100%, but it's going to reduce the risk. Yeah, why not? Yeah, keep going, guys. It seems like it's somehow, the gel is somehow stopping the transmission. It's doing something with the mucous membranes. Oh, wow. If I had to guess.
The same study said that the gel also reduced the risk of genital herpes by 51%. LOB just broke out mucous membranes on us. I know. You didn't think you'd hear that today. Mike, it has to do with the mucous membrane. I'm just saying maybe it's not an internal thing. It doesn't stop blood transfusion, but maybe the, you know. Yeah. Maybe. I'm very uncomfortable. I'm very uncomfortable. We got a real medical in here. That's right. M1 Herald from San Marcos. Hey, how's it going, guys? Good, dude. So the city hall deal, it seems like everybody's kind of against it spending this money, but what about people like me who is going to provide a job for it to go and actually do the work? I like that. Hey, listen, man. I like the fact that people will be employed by it, but that cannot stop the logic that we have, which is, is that what we want to be spending money on? And is that what it's about? I mean, are we building a city hall? because the focus of San Diego government is to keep my bro Harold employed as an electrician. I don't know that that's really the purpose of government. It might not, but it's going to happen. I mean, it's a side effect. That's great. And for my friend Harold, I'm stoked. But as a citizen of San Diego, as a citizen of San Diego, I'd rather you be installing electrical outlets in a brand new stadium, bro. I'd rather Harold be up in a suite.
Putting in some nice new lights for a beautiful brand new stadium. Yep. Personally. Yeah, I couldn't agree with you more. But, you know, sometimes makers can't be shooters. Hey, you know, if that's what they're going to do, they're going to build a $300 million city hall. Then great. We'll all get to. You know what? Maybe they'll do an open house. We all get to go down and take a look. It'd be great. As long as I'm in line and there's a buffet, I'm all for it. There you go. Fair enough. Thank you, dude. Thanks. It's Harold. So Dwayne Wade is. He took some dumb, dumb pills and said something stupid about the World Trade Center. If you haven't heard it, we have the clip in Woods on sports. Now, what I want you to gauge is how bad was it? We'll do that coming up on the Mikey Show. Let your voice be heard on the Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949 or shoot him a text 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up on FM 94.9.

Now through August 29th, it's free to play, lots of chances to win. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I've seen a piece of broccoli in like eight years. Lauren. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. The best movie ever made, Footloose. Sienna. Todd and I went to downtown Loyola to Prospect. And Jay. I can make 100 hush puppies in like 30 seconds on FM 94.9. Ladies and gentlemen of M1 Nation, just want to let you know, Woodsy is meeting with a hypnotist tomorrow to try to stop smoking. It's time, man. It's time. Slave to those things, dude. I'm telling you. You know it. Runs my life. Now, will it cover tobacco or just cigarettes? See, I'm going to...
You got to crawl before you walk. No. I think I really love. Tobacco. Let's just give you some Big League Chew. It's the same thing. It's not. It's bubble gum. It's not. Because I use Big League Chew when I play ball also. And it's just not the same. It doesn't have tobacco in it. It doesn't have any nicotine in it. We'll get him hypnotized to believe that grape Big League Chew is the same thing. It's the same thing. It could be. Woods is the first person I've ever met that's addicted to cigarettes and snuff. There's a lot of us out there. Yeah? Because, you know, this is wonderful because you don't let me blast cigs on the air and Sienna's pregnant and I wouldn't do it anyway. And there's smoke detectors in here. So, I mean, I flip out. You can do whatever you want, Woodsy. So Woodsy's going to tell you about Dwayne Wade. We're going to play the audio of what Dwayne Wade said that got him in all the trouble. So that's coming up in just a bit. Stick around for it. We went and played as a group. We went and played miniature golf yesterday. Well, anytime you play golf with Mikey, it's miniature golf. Okay.
Let's see. What happens when you put on tea, dude? You knock it out of the park. That's right. Out of the tiny little tea. Tiny little tea. That's right. Well, Jay kept score. We purposefully do not know who won. Don't we? Don't we? Jay won. Of course. Of course. He wanted to save it for on the air to talk about. After he starts draining holes in ones, he's like, you know, maybe we'll just. Not do the scores at the end. We'll just say it on the air. Did he have like three hole-in-ones? I think he had three. I think. And almost five. Oh, wow. I was killing it. He was. He did. He did really good. He was working the angles. Oh, like a magician. Chilling. So here's what we, I think, know definitively. Jay won, and I think definitively we know that L.O.B. came in last place. Yeah. Now, where Sienna, myself, and Woodsy fall is what the mystery is. Am I right about that, Jay? I'm going to start by saying that par was 53 for the course. I don't even know what that means. 53 strokes to be even. We were on the storybook, of course. Well, Sienna didn't know what a par is. It means how many strokes they thought you should have been able to do it in. Mikey, every time we went up to a new hole, Mikey's like, what's par? What par is this? I said, why does it matter? I said, listen, I need to know. I need to know. As the day goes on. On the 14th hole. As I'm on the back nine.
I need to know. What I need to catch up if I need to. Every hole. And I kept saying, and no one would correct me, and I thought I was right for like half the time. I was like, we're on par 16. I thought you were making jokes. No, I was being serious. Whatever hole we were going to, like, oh, we're going to the 15th hole. I was like, this is par 15. She would go, hey, it's 17th. I heard her say par 12, and I thought it was a joke because we were all playing so bad. I was like, yeah, ha, ha, 12. Oh, no, that was me being serious, thinking that we were on par 12. We went to Boomers over on Claremont Mesa. So, Jay, par was 53 for the whole course. Par was 53. Three of us played under par. Wow. For the entire day. I did not. Start off with Lauren, who came in fifth with a 65. 65. Sometimes Tiger Woods shoots a 65. 12 over par. Mike.
Got fourth. Oh, no. With a 56. I'm awful. 56. Oh, wow. You can't say I'm awful when you're nine strokes ahead of me. I know it. I know. Then here's the twist. Sienna beat me. No. Sienna got third. No. Really? I thought I was going to maybe get second. Woods beat her by one stroke of the 50. I am shocked. Three under. It was your birthday. I gave it to you. Three under. And ladies and gentlemen. Oh, God. Please join me in congratulating Jay Isbell on a 43. Wow. 10 under four. 10 under? 43. What? Beat me by seven. That's what I'm talking about right there. Wow.
Wow. She grabbed a bat. She grabbed a bat. She's got it, buddy. 20 minutes. Who was the one that was keeping score? Yeah. Weird, weird, weird. I had Liberty add it up for me, so there was no... Sure you did. And she says... Yeah, did you have Liberty write it out for you, too? Dad, I thought that you would have done so much better. She didn't realize. She's like, God, the girls just killed it. The higher the score... Oh, yeah. Man, you really sucked. I was like, thanks, Libs. That was fun. How's the blast? We've got to do it again. Oh, yeah. Got to do it again. We will. I found something out about Lauren O'Brien as we were golfing because she said that, you know, one of the things is for her is that she is awful at miniature golf. And ask yourself as you're listening if you're this way as well. Because she said that she would need more time to concentrate on it and she doesn't have the patience. So she just goes and hits the ball. I can say this unequivocally about Lauren. Lauren, as we all know, is a perfectionist. Yes. So if she were to do it the way that she wanted to do it, she would line that shot up. She would be like Tiger Woods kneeling down, looking at the geometry of the AstroTurf. She'd probably walk the course. She'd walk the course. To get a feel. Feel for it. For what it was going to be. And we would be there.
Until nine o'clock at night. Yeah. It'd be a seven hour round. Yeah. It'd be a seven hour round. So that is a part of her personality. Yes. I think that is a part. And it may be, you know, part of your personality as you're listening as well. You may be that guy. Woodsy has got to stop the P90X for the time being because he got his eyes dead. For a week. I called yesterday, Chris, the office manager, and I was like, listen, what's the deal with working out? And she's like, no straining. of the eyeball. And I was like, okay, I'll take a week off. I'm just starting over on Monday. Did you tell her how you were throwing hot pink mini golf balls into the pond? We forgot to mention that. Or slamming my putter into the ground. He was constantly slamming the putter into the ground. My putter's a piece of S. Those things are terrible. I'm so glad that Lauren said that. I forgot. Woodsy got so frustrated at miniature golf. People were looking at us. Yeah, yeah, yeah, staring at us. Woodsy got so upset. And this is what I thought was phenomenal about it. I believe in my heart of hearts that it was reflex.
It is. I don't believe that he even thought about it. He was so mad. He took his golf ball and threw it into the pond. My hot pink golf ball. This hot pink golf ball. We all have to have our hot buttons in certain activities where you would do the same thing. Like Monopoly? I don't know. I don't know what mine is, but I know I have that reaction to some things. And it's like, GD. You know, the funny thing about me, though, is like I have the same reaction when I'm. excited. For instance, if I'm playing baseball and I hit a double into the gap and knock in two runs, when I run back to the dugout, the helmet comes off and I still throw the helmet into the fence because I'm fired up. I can attest, sometimes we get off the air and he throws his headphones and it's like, yeah! Yeah! It's the same. It's just that competitive fire burns. When you win a game on the air, you do like a bat swing. You're like, boom! Hit it out of the park. I'm as likely to throw a ball in happiness or in frustration. It's really weird. I grew up around my dad who would watch football games, his favorite football team, with his index finger up to the lips. Oh, you do that a lot, Mike. And he would just watch. How? No matter what happened. Like he was going, shh. No, he was just, you know, studying it. And you do that. You'll watch us do some silly stuff and go, okay. Put your finger there. We should record it.
That's all. I'm just recording. You don't get fired up. Like, if you're watching the Chargers and Rivers drops back and he slings a, you know, 40-yard pass to Gates and he busts a tackle, are you out of your chair? I'll do the fantasy football hard clap. Yeah! The hard clap. Yeah, baby. It's a big one. There's got to be something. I know. I can't think of what it is, but there is something that pushes your butt. Probably like when Apple comes out with a new product. He kicks the chair back. Mexico wins the World Cup. You know, that kind of deal. It was when Woods threw his ball for the first time. I felt like I was like a kid again in my family because Sienna goes, now you can't play anymore. We had onlookers giving us extra balls. They're like, here, take these. He can take that. Let your idiot friend take these. Your little boy threw his stuff in the water. We'll give you some. I was laughing so hard. We had two mothers. Here, here's some extra ones that you can throw. Yeah. I captured one of his outbursts on video. Yes. I captured one of his outbursts on video. Was there cursing on there?
No, okay. I don't think so. The one that was so good. You just were hitting shrubs with your club. Oh, and you said, why am I not filming that? Yes. I wish I knew what it was. It was the one where I threw the ball. Was that the one? Yep. I'm an idiot. And then he started trying to fish it out of the little pond with his club. He fished it out a couple times. Took a while. It's fantastic. This is the reason we call him the kid. That's right. Exactly. 570-1949 is our number. If you want to get a hold of us. Sienna was, this is great. Sienna was talking about how they ordered some pizza the other day and the guy says, he asked Sienna what her name is. She said Sienna. And he said, Diana? No, Deanna. I get Deanna all the time. Deanna? No, Sienna with an S. He's like, oh, like the minivan? No. Like my name. Like my name. Not like the minivan. I'm so tired of that. You get it a lot. Do you care if they say like the crown or like the color? Like the crown? Crayon. Oh. No.
No, not as much as the minivan. The minivan really gets me. Crown is East Coast for crayons. I know. I was like, my jersey came out for a second. And then some people say, oh, there's a college. I mean, and then, you know, a place in Italy, whatever. But the minivan. You're named after the color, Sienna. The color. But I have two N's instead of one. And people always follow up. Oh, that's the nicest minivan. I'm like, really? Just give me my pizza, pal. I just want some dang pizza. Yeah. I just want my apple, my whatever. That's why all the time. Say it. I just ejected. Say it. I was trying to think of the word pineapple and I couldn't. So I just hit the eject button. I flew out of the canopy. Give up. Right now I have a parachute trying to land me into the Indian Ocean. Indian Ocean. But like whenever I go to Starbucks or something, I say my name is Sarah because it's easy. Hey, by the way, by the way, did you know that that's a whole thing? What? Did you know that mostly women, but it's a whole thing, women use a different name at Starbucks? I have heard this before and it might have been on this show. Yeah. But I want to start doing that. You don't do it? I never have and I want to. Guys do it too. Guys use different names at Starbucks. I don't. My friend Paige says Buffy. Buffy. Buffy. I don't know why. Well, wait, wait, wait. Well, part of the deal is that people feel like, well, if I'm...
unknown, I might as well be unknown. I'll give you, for instance, yesterday we went to Gaglion Brothers for lunch and Woods called information to get Gaglion Brothers' phone number. Oh my God. And so when they said, information, may I help you? Woods did this. He went, yes, I'd like a number for Gaglion Brothers, please. Fake voice. He did fake voice. I was so uncomfortable. Then he called Gaglione Brothers and he goes, hi, what time do you guys open today? Okay. Oh, that's awesome. What? Okay. And are you open? See you there. Okay. See you there. Bye. And I go, what are you doing? What was that? Yeah, what was that? And Woods goes, you don't do that? I can't believe he doesn't do that. I go, no. He goes, you don't do different voice when you call? He calls a different voice. I go, no. He goes. Dude, how do you not do different voice? With all your voices? You don't do it. You could have a bowl. Yeah. L-O-B, do you do it? No. And Wood says, that's my favorite bit. That's my favorite. Yeah. Hello. Jamie and I will be driving the car. She's like, where is this restaurant? I'm like, hang on. I got it. And I'll call and be like, hi. Yes. I'm looking for your Encinitas, California. And yes, I need a number to Poseidon. And they're like, P-O-S-I-E-D-I-O-N. Poseidon.
Oh, and she's looking at me like, you are an idiot. Because we said, what's the person going to say? Sir, is this a fake voice? Are you fake? You're not a real gay guy. Excuse me, I have a gay uncle. You're not gay. You're not gay. This is a fake bit, isn't it? I do it to every time I call somebody that I don't know. Every business, every information, that's what I do. A fake voice. I got about five in the arsenal. Again, there's a reason we call him the kid. Does anybody else do that? It's more fun to do it to people you know. Yeah, that's true. So you call up and they're like, you have a long conversation and they're like, is this Jay? I'll tell you, I got a guy that I used to work with, my buddy Adam. I called him the other day and pretended I was our old boss for five minutes. He had no idea. That's the best. Oh, dude, he had no idea. He said, hey, what's up, KB? How you doing? I'm like, you know. No way. That is the best. Yeah. Classic. I've done that. I have wanted to do this to our general manager, Rick, for quite some time. Pretend you're Garrett? Do you think Rick is still sleeping? We should call him. I don't know. I think he's out on vacation. I think they're on meetings. Yeah, if he wasn't on vacation. Let's call his voicemail. I really do want to try, but if he picks up, I'll feel so bad. Oh, hey, just...
Checking in on you. Checking in on you. You're okay. Garrett. Garrett. Detroit. Well, I don't know if I'm going to do our program director Garrett's voice or if I'll do a different voice completely and pretend I have a wrong number and just see if he can figure out that it's me. Just call. Have him pick up. Oh, my gosh. And be like, hi, is this... Is this Toby? It's not. Oh, okay. Who is this? Okay. Oh. Do you... Listen. Do you guys still sell hammerhead boots? It's a brand of boot. I think you have the wrong number. It's a brand of boot. Try to run a radio station over here. Are you sure you don't have hammerhead boots? I'm sure. Do you want to buy a pair of hammerhead boots? No. Because I'm getting rid of an old pair and I need a new pair. So if you'll take the old pair. I'll give them to you for $5. Do you have any kids or grandkids or anything? Don't want any hammerhead boots? Yes, but no. You do? I don't want any. $5? No. I deliver. I'll pass. I'll be right there. I'll pass. Thanks. I'm going to try it. I can't believe you guys don't do it. Especially you two with all your voices. See, sometimes I used to do this. I'd go to the bar and see if I could keep up a fake accent all night. That's fun. Oh, yeah. But it would always morph throughout the night. My whole goal in life is to, if I'm hanging out with you guys, I just want to get a laugh. I don't care how I got to get it. He's a prankster. I just want to get it. Yeah, he is. And even when I'm with my wife or driving in the car, I'm like, I just want to make her laugh. You're a prankster. I'm a prankster. I am not a prankster outside of these four walls. You literally are not. No.
What about what I did at Benihana the other day? Oh, gosh. What did he do this time? Well, you were going to do... No. Remember what we did right when we walked in? Oh, what? Not even going to say it. He's a tomfool of the school of tomfoolers. He is. He certainly is. He certainly is. I don't mess around outside the studio, though, huh? No. I don't. You need to. Sometimes you do. I do? No. Yeah, but you're more comfortable with, like, a mic. I think that I... make jokes. Yes. But I don't, I'm not the tomfoolery. No, you're like a sarcastic guy, joker. Yeah. Sarcastic joker. With the corn star. Yes. The guy at the fair that sold corn. Oh. There was a guy at the fair that was selling corn and he, and he said, uh, He's a giant bus in here. He goes, uh, he goes, yeah, he goes, uh, you know, I travel. doing these fair deals, selling this corn, and when I'm up in Fresno, I like to put the limes out there because the Mexicans like them. Says this to Mikey's face. Limes and mayonnaise, which I was like, who's the mayonnaise? I go, what else do we like? How about some Barreros? How about some salsa? It was so awkward. How about a little, and he didn't really hear me saying this.
And so I go, how about a burrow? You got a burrow? Well, I think it was something even really overt that was like, do you have more corn? And he was like, do Mexicans come to the fair? Yes! I don't know, do I? Do I come to the fair? I just kept going. No, it didn't stop. That's right. 570-1949 is our number. You want to text us? 949mikey at gmail.com. Emily from Penasquitas has a question for Woodsy. Yeah, hey, Wood. How are you doing? I'm great. How are you? Good. I was going back to the passionate playing and you get all fired up. Yes. Have you ever done that, playing Wii? No, I have not. My wife and I bought a Wii and we played it one time. Oh, my gosh. Take that off your hands. Yeah, I use it for Netflix now. So that's the... Did you play it one time because you got so upset? No. Because he likes girls. Yeah, because I like girls. Okay. No, but I have friends that have thrown their Wii through TVs and their controller windows, broken them, slammed them down. That's probably part of the reason subconsciously I don't play Wii. I would think that Woods would really, really...
be tough to play video games with in general. I play by myself. Yeah. Yeah. Uber competitive. Uber. For sure. I just said it again. Thank you, Emily. Appreciate the phone call. M1 Biscuit from Santee, are you there? Yeah, what's going on? Mikey Short. Not too much, dude. Hey, I was wanting to comment. I kind of adopted Sienna's method of changing my name when I go to restaurants now. My first name is RJ. And you wouldn't believe how many people ask me how to spell that. No way. How do you spell RJ? A-R-J-A-Y. A-R-E is the first name. Last name is J-A-Y. Genius. So, yeah, I recently started to just change the name to Hoyle just to get people. No way. That's a great idea. That's a really good idea. It kills my wife, man. She turns bright red. When they go, party of two Hoyle, we're looking for Hoyle. Dude, that's brilliant. That is on. That's on. First of all, every M1 listening, from now on, it doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. When you're asked your name, please...
Always respond Hoyle. Hoyle hand-ready. Hoyle hand-ready. Please. Awesome. Done. I'm doing it. Do it at places like the pizza port because they'll say, Hoyle, your pizza is ready. I love that. If I'm ever there and I hear that, I'm going to go find you and I'm going to shake your hand. Yes, yes, and yes. Let's start a whole new bit. That's great. My name's Hoyle. Thank you, Bisquick. We love you, man. We'll see you. Number one hip-hop song in the country is from Tal Cruz. I hope I'm saying his name right. Tom Cruz? No. It's Tal Cruz. Is it Tal? The song's called Dynamite. Okay, so we're going to do a little hallway baseball. It's going to be real good. When we come back, we find out what happens when Jay actually grabs a bat, pal. And we still got to give you what... Dwayne Wade said that upset everybody so much. We'll do that when we come back in Woods on Sports. Be heard on the Mikey Show now. I'm ready. Call 570-1949. You keep going all day. Shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com.

KBZD San Diego on Lincoln Financial Radio Station. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I had the worst mom. Nobody wanted to go with me. Lauren. Look, I'm kind of out of the loop when it comes to news, pop culture, that kind of stuff. Woods. I remember my first French kiss. Sienna. I've always wanted to punch someone in the face. And Jay. Yeah, I like to dance at weddings. On FM 94.9. The Mikey Show M1s consists of myself, Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. If you are an M1, you're a part of M1 Nation. It means that when you call in, you turn your radio down, get to the point, you don't cuss. That's what being an M1 is. You're turning new people on to the Mikey Show every day, and you are a part of this culture called the Mikey Show. You know how you're a part of that culture? You know how you're a part of the Mikey Show culture? In general, when you go to sleep at night, you will oftentimes have dreams that have to do with the Mikey Show, even though you've never met us.
That's a true story. You will oftentimes during the day find yourself saying things like, get, get, get. You will pick up the vernacular of the Mikey show. You will use common phrases. And another part of being an M1 is that occasionally when you go to order coffee at Barstucks, you will use the name Hoyle. Yes. Brilliant. Yeah. 570-194-9 is our phone number. If you want to give us a call, we are going to be doing the hallway pitch off in just a moment. And I will be calling all the action. There you go. From the hallway. Dimmick! Dimmick! We're going to have Woodsy pitching to Jay. Woodsy says, Jay can't hit me. Jay says same thing. Jay's going to be throwing a baseball. Woods just gave me a look like, really? Who beat us at miniature golf yesterday? It's true. Who beat you on the golf course before that? I'm going to have my boy Jay's back. I got Woodsy's back. I love you both. I'm saying impartial. But Jay has proven himself. I'm going to satisfy your need for some football right now. You know the Chargers?
have signed five of their six draft picks. You know who they haven't signed? Oh, no. Their number one draft pick, Ryan Matthews. He's still out there. But he has said, hey, I want to be in camp. I'm going to need to contribute to this team this year. I want to get a deal done. Dude, camp starts in a few days. Yeah, rookies report July 25th. The first full squad workout is July 30th. He says, I want to be there sometime in between there. If that will work. Hey, Ryan. Why don't you sign the contract right now, and you can be there the first day. You can be there the very first day. That's right. Here's the deal. That's your starting running back this year. That's your starting running back. Sproles is going to spell him. Probably going to be a third down back. He needs his butt in camp. He is a first-round pick. He doesn't know how fast this game is yet. He needs to get in there and get all the work he can. Can you imagine the first time that guy gets in there from playing at Fresno State, and he gets lit up by Merriman, who's moving. three times faster than the fastest guy he ever faced. Absolutely. Fresno State. Also, the 2009 Offensive Player of the Year, Chris Johnson, has finally come to terms with, kind of, his contract. He basically had a five-year deal at $12 million, was not happy about that. He was the Offensive Player of the Year, greatest football player in the National Football League. The Tennessee Titans, Chris Johnson, they're running back. And they have basically said, fine.
Quit your bitching. We're going to give you a little extra cash. They're not giving him a new contract. They're going to augment his current. They augmented it for $2.5 million. Still, man. They didn't have to. They didn't have to. They did not have to. So he is expected to be at training camp. So good news for Titans fans. And the Padres made a great move yesterday. They actually extended Buddy Black's contract throughout the 2013 season. That's cool. He's been great. I mean, the players respond to him. They also went out and signed a guy named Willie Mo Pena. Now, Willie Mo Pena, if you're a baseball fan like I am, you know, played for the Red Sox, played for the Reds. Guy hadn't played in the big leagues since 2008. Really? Yeah, he's been playing in international ball and in the international leagues and some really kind of smaller leagues. And hopefully that's not going to be the big move from Jed Hoyer because that's not going to work for Padres fans. It's just not. What is his position? He plays outfield. And he's supposed to be a bat? He can hit a little bit. Well, he did in 2008. He did in 2008. So it should be very exciting. That's not going to work. Hey, wait. What can I say about Jed Hoyer? Guys, so far. So far, so good. So far, so good. But, man, with your team in first place in the West, now is the time to strike. You've got to make a move. We've got to get an arm and got to get a bat. And let's get it done. You know, there's no time like the present. They'll be taking on the Braves tonight, by the way. Should be an awesome, awesome matchup. The Braves are leading the NL East. So, okay.
To Dwayne Wade's dumb comment, they were talking to him about how hard it's going to be for those guys next year if they ever do lose a game. And here's what he said. Cut one. We enjoy the Bullseye. Of course, there's going to be times where we might lose one, two games in a row. I mean, two games, three games in a row. You never know. And it's going to seem like the world has crashed down. Y'all going to make it seem like the real trade has just went down again. But it's not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games lost, and we have to get back on track. So we're going to have fun with this season, understanding that the dynamic don't come around too often, and we're a lucky team right now. Here's the thing. Here's the thing. Honestly, I'm just being completely honest. And maybe some people take umbrage with it. Okay. If I had heard that, I would have thought it to be somewhat innocuous. I wouldn't. I wouldn't have gone, wow, what a monster. Wow, what a monster statement. I would have thought he was saying something off the cuff. The spirit of his comment certainly was not to diminish the people that were lost in the World Trade Center. What he was making fun of, I think, is how the media these days blows things out of proportion. Sensationalism. Sensationalizes things. The first three times I heard it when I was loading it, I was like, that's a dumb thing to say. It's just a dumb comparison. Sure.
I don't think he should be vilified for it. I mean, I don't think he was really trying to slight what happened. But he was more of calling out the media for blowing things up and blowing things out of proportion. And believe me, when the Heat go on a five-game losing streak next year, it's going to be the front page of the news down there. That's going to be it. We're paying all this money. We have all these guys, and they're not doing it. So, you know, a really cool piece of audio I found was Michael Jordan was doing an interview, and they asked him, Mike, Would you have ever done what these three guys did, cut two? That's yet to be determined. I think free agency is a part of every professional sport. And how that's going to play into this whole scenario, I don't really know. I think time to tell. There's no way that, just hindsight, I would have never. Called up Larry, called up Magic and said, hey, let's get together and play on one team. But things are different. I can't say that's a bad thing. How are they different, by the way, Michael? Because when you say things are different, what is that implication? They're not. That's the opportunity these kids have today. This is why. In all honesty, I was trying to beat those guys. I don't know if they would have been on my team. If we'd been on our team, obviously. When you look at the Dream Team, they were on my team. It wasn't too much of a competitive thing. I'm a competitive guy.
I like to play against competitive players and see what happens from there. I feel like I know what he's implying. It's pretty rad, though. It's implying LLB. Then it was more about the game, old school. Now it's more about the money and your rap career. To me, that's a bunch of BS. And I agree with you. I believe that was what the implication was. I just don't agree with it because the guy took a pay cut to go to this team. He wants to win rings. Now, listen, Michael, it might be easy for you to say that with, what, six rings on your finger? But he earned, though, bro. Sure, of course he did. As being the man. The best. The best. The best maybe ever. The best maybe ever. Did LeBron maybe just want to leave Cleveland for Miami? Well, LeBron saw an opportunity to get together with a dream team. I don't know that Michael Jordan had the opportunity. He didn't need one, by the way. No. You know, Michael Jordan didn't need one. And that's why LeBron will never be Michael. But I think he's saying, if I wanted to, I had the same clout that LeBron had. I could have called in favors and gotten the guys I wanted on my team. Michael, you know why you didn't do that? The reason that you didn't do that wasn't out of some sort of, you know, some sort of virtue.
It was because you didn't need to, bro. You didn't have to. You didn't have to. That's why LeBron is never going to be Michael Jordan. Never. He never will. And that's what they said. He can win all the rings he wants. Still ain't going to be Jordan. I agree. Jordan came into Chicago when Chicago was nothing. Yeah. And brought that city six titles. Yeah. And LeBron couldn't get it done in seven years. And he weathered the cold. Yeah, he did. Literally and figuratively. And then finally, there's a new, there's some more investigations going on in college football. I don't know if you knew about, but the Florida Gators are. Along with the NC, North Carolina Tar Heels, South Carolina Gamecocks, all these guys are being investigated. Really? And what had happened was more money. They're giving money to players. And this guy, Maurice, or Marquise Pouncey, was given $100,000 last year before the Sugar Bowl. Really? Yeah, for Florida. And they're thinking about, you know, taking that win away from the Gators. Tough luck. That'll distract from USC's problems and woes then. They may not be the only ones that are getting in trouble. That's right. That's right. 570-1949 is our number. What are you being coy about? What do you mean? Oh, do you mean talking about the Notre Dame players that got arrested? What are you talking about? I didn't say anything about the Notre Dame players that got arrested. I didn't say anything about the Notre Dame players that got arrested. I've got breaking news. College kids were at a party and got caught with alcohol. Hey. Stop the presses. It's still against the NCAA contract that they signed. Absolutely. Let's stop the presses on that.
And I like your domers, by the way. Do you? I do. You're not allowed. You know what? I don't have that rivalry thing that you do. You hate USC. Well, then you're not a USC fan. I know. Maybe I'm not. Honestly, I mean, my brother went to school there, so I'm, you know, whatever. I didn't go to college. I'm ready to get my pitch on. You ready? I'm ready. Let's do it. Okay, so here's the deal. We're going to do the hallway pitch off. Whenever you say... To Woods. Woods is just like, I'm going to leave now. If you're critical of Woods, Woods will say, grab a bat, pal. Why? Because he's good at baseball. Who's going first? Why don't we flip a coin? And so Jay and Woods are going to have five pitches to each other. We'll see who does better. Woodsy, we have to set some ground rules before we begin. No cursing. I'll flip it. You call it. There will be no cursing regardless of what happens. Woods. The other thing that I have to say is, before we begin, Jay cannot use any excuses. In other words, if Woodsy out pitches and out bats Jay, Jay cannot say, oh, well, I have a knee issue. Right. Conversely, Woodsy, you cannot fall back on anything. No. Right? Fine. Neither one of you. Neither one of you. Can we just first fur? I mean.
It's a known thing, right, that Woods plays in a men's league and Jay doesn't? True. I just want to point that out. However. It's not my idea for the challenge, though. However. Okay. Woodsy has said, grab a bat, pal. And Jay very brazenly said. Yes, he did. Absolutely, I'll grab a bat. Absolutely. Go, Jay. Let's do this. All right. Let's flip the coin to see who goes first. Are you going to call it? Or do I sign? You call it, Woodsy. Oh, great. Tails. Jay. Jay goes first. Okay, so here's how we're doing this. I'm nervous for you guys. Yeah, Jay bats first. Jay bats first, and here's what we're going to do. Our engineers have set it up out in the hallway for us to be able to do this. Yes. So I am going to turn on the microphones that we have set up out in the hallway. I will be joining you from the hallway in just a couple of seconds.
Sienna and Lauren, commentate until I get out to the hallway, okay? We'll be in here in the trenches. Can we watch you guys from here or you're down the hall? We're down the hall. Oh, so basically Lauren and I just sit here by ourselves with Jeremy. Hey, what's going on? Jeremy's sitting in the host seat. Nice. This is kind of nice. I'd say. Are they there? Oh, yeah. Chase, totally. All right, can you guys hear me? Yeah. Okay, cool. We are in the hallway right now. We've got a microphone that has been dragged down the hallway, and I will give the official call. Now, I will be your eyes, Lauren, Sienna, and every M1 listening. I will be your eyes. Now, I'm going to say right now. that Jay is probably about the same distance, Woodsy, wouldn't you say, that Jay is probably about the same distance that a batter would be from the actual mound? Would you say that that is correct? No, I would not say that. So how far do we have to, would he be further or closer if this were a real baseball game? He would be much further. We're about halfway. Are we really? As soon as I heard Mike say that, I was like, no way. Looking at it, I'm like.
How far are these guys from the batter? But we're going to begin. Jay's got a little yellow wiffle ball bat. It's like a little tight spot. Yeah, it's flat on one side. Woodsy, are you ready? I am ready. Let's do this. Woodsy is taking off his flip flops and going barefoot. Here comes the first pitch and swing and a miss. Come on, Jay. Jay is now taking his shirt off. Jay just took his shirt off. He is in the hallway in a pair. There's a second. Oh, that's a wild pitch. Wild pitch. Ball. Second pitch. Third pitch now. Oh, almost beamed. Almost beamed him in the head. Wow. Almost beamed him in the head. Take it easy. Here's the fourth pitch. Woods, you only get five pitches. Here's the fourth pitch. Oh, he hit him right in the nuts. He hit him right in the nuts. Right in the jewels. Woods hit. Disqualification. Guys. Hang on, Woods. Hang on, Woods. I am not kidding. Woodsy just hit Jay directly in the crotch. Here comes the fifth pitch. I thought Jay hit it. Oh, he hit it. I heard the contact. That was it. Wait, wait, wait. Woodsy, that was your fifth pitch. That was your fifth pitch. Yeah, that was your fifth pitch. So Jay got.
Jay got one good hit, and that was a good hit. He made full contact. Jay should get credit for a hit because Woodsy hit him in the you know where. In the nads? Yes. In the nads? Automatic base. And Woodsy had two other wild pitches. Wait a minute. Hang on, guys. Hang on, hang on. Okay, okay. I don't know if you know this, but we broadcast next door to a government contractor. Hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. Be cool. The government contractor is walking into his building. Is it clear? Is it clear? Okay. Jay is now throwing his first pitch. The windup. He's throwing two. Woodsy. Oh, man, that was right down the middle. Woodsy did not swing. That was the first one. Second one. Swing and a miss. Strike two. Strike one. Jay now throwing his third ball. The windup. And Jay is pitching. Swing and a miss. Or did he hit it? Did he hit it? I heard something. That one he got just the tip. Just a piece. Here comes the fourth pitch. Another hit. That one hurt, though, because it kind of hit his knuckle, but it was another hit. Here comes the fifth. Well, oh, my gosh. We just hit the door. We just hit the door of the government contractor. We are clearing out of the hallway. We are clearing out of the hallway. Austin, our phone screener, is hiding. Everybody is running and leaving me. Everybody is running and leaving me.
Hang on. Pick up the balls, Mike. Hurry up, little boots. Hurry up, little boots. I'm sorry, sir. Oh. Sorry. Oh, my God. Guys. What? Yeah? We just got in trouble. Duh. I'm coming back into the studio. Pick up the balls. Great. The door is locked. Use your code. Use your code. And Woods cleared out. Can an engineer open the door, please? Are they stuck out there? Come on, guys. All right. I'm going to run back into the studio. Oh, my gosh. Children. I want to know who won. It sounds like Jay had five good pitches. Yeah. Woodsy had two. Oh, geez. Woodsy's back. Holy cow. What happened? All right, guys. Holy cow. They're running. They're running. Troublemaker. I'm out of breath. That was fantastic. Okay, now we need to review because from what we've gathered, it sounded like Woodsy pitched two good pitches. Yeah, Jay throws a pretty good pitch. Jay threw five good pitches. Yeah.
You all right? Yeah, I'm good. It scared me that lady came out. I know it. This lady came out and she gave me a look like, what are you doing? And I'm like, I'm so sorry. Holy crap. Maybe we do this in the parking lot after the show. Yeah. That sounds like fun. You guys are so out of breath. Get some water. That scared me. She was hot mad. Yeah. Hot mad. There was a dude that walked out right there. Yeah. Well, the girl, when. She looked at me and I was like, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Where the batting was, she literally opened the door. I was a foot from her. She goes. Dagger eyes. Daggers. Well, they're like, they've got all kinds of intelligence over there. You guys are playing wiffle ball in the hallway. Mikey's like, sir, sir, I'm sorry. This is a radio station. It's a radio station. We have fun. We're going to do stuff. Quit crying. There wasn't any streakers, at least. All right. So, Woodsy, you made contact with two. Jay, you made contact with? One, and then I got him in the sack. Well, were Woods, were they hits or were they fouls? One was a tip. One was a tip, one was a hit. One hit. So they both got one hit. I would be willing to go out there, I'd be willing to go out there and settle this all, except for our neighbors at the government contractors next door looked so irritated. So irritated. You guys are, you realize you're now on the list.
Yeah. All three of you. None of us can fly anymore. Maybe even four. The balls that were missing were hitting the wall where they work. So they were like, I mean. Hard. They hear that. Hard. Hard. When I swung, I hit the door of their office. Maybe swing and make contact with a ball. Yeah, maybe don't worry about it. Maybe we can't fly anywhere in the continental United States. Seriously. You're on the list. Let's see. Do we have already, we have a brand new urban survivor. Who won? I'm Mikey Grylls. I've never been a member. What else do we do? I think J1. J1, he pitched five good pitches. Does anybody ever root for me on this show? Ever? But hey. You had to hit me. You hit me in the sand. I didn't mean to. That's automatic disqualification. Were we at the real batting cages yesterday? I have an idea. Yeah, how do we do it? I have an idea. I said no excuses. How about we settle it with a part two? Done. Tomorrow. Done. Let's do part two. 100%. Where's that going to happen? Well, I know. We'll have to do it in here. In the hallways. It's so tight. Will they let us? No. They won't? Let's talk to Jeremy. Oh, you know, Jeremy's gone tomorrow. Let's do it again. We'll do it at this time again tomorrow.
We'll figure it out. Somebody who's mouse writing checks their butt can't get. I know. Yeah, I am for sure. Seems like there was a clear way. I'm Mikey Grylls. I've never been a member of the British Special Forces. I barely got out of high school with a GED, and I've got no experience except for telling jokes in the radio. I will try to survive in urban situations using nothing but the company's credit card, a car, an iceman at that, my wallet, and whatever things I can find on the internet. You're listening to Urban Survival. This is Bear Grylls. I'm standing inside of a $50,000 Roman spa. Around me, gold bricks, various pieces of marble and whatnot. It's one of the most lavish places I've ever been. How will I survive when I'm done getting this deep Swedish consortium? inside the Roman Spore. Well, today... Oh, yeah. That's a tough one, isn't it? Very nice. Today, I'm actually going to be going to a water park. I am now standing just inside the gates of a beautiful water park. And when I say water park, I mean 955,000 gallons of pure water.
Clean water. The only thing I'll have to survive while I'm here are concessions that include churros, beef tacos, fish tacos, chicken carne asada, and various other meals. There's a lot of Hispanic population in this town, so I'm sure to find some sort of a Mexican treat. Excuse me, sir. What's your name? My name is Pueblo. I'm sorry. Did you say that your name is Pueblo? Si. Did you know that Pueblo is a city in Colorado? Si. That's my friend Pueblo. If it gets much hotter out here and I can't find a place to go, I'll kill him and sleep inside of his body for warmth. Is that all right with you, Pueblo? Si. I'm now venturing deep into one of the chambers of... That was quite exuberant. I'm not sure if I survived. All I know is that, well, I must have survived, I'm speaking. Once, two chaps came to a water park like this.
And before they knew it, they became intoxicated and had fun for over an hour and a half. Until next time, I'm the Urban Survivor. One, two, three, four. Love the Urban Survivor. Oh, wow. Sounds like fun. Oh, yeah, it does. Water parks are good times. When we come back, we're going to play. Who's that rapper for Comic-Con tickets? Somebody famous rapped. You have to tell us who it is. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a Tuesday morning being brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate. Well, at long last, we've got some solid surf ahead of us. Some southwest filling in throughout the day today is combined with some old southwest and just a touch of west-northwest lingering in the waters as well. That means most spots running in that waist-chest shoulder-high zone on average, but top spots easily going overhead on an inconsistent basis in a very selective swell, so you'll have to know where to go.
It's got a little bit of a walled-up situation to it right now, though, as that southerly swell is straighter and not as much cross out of that west-northwest. So sort of selective on the ways you'll want to pick off. Bigger waves that are inconsistent seeming to have the better shoulders favoring the left. And the beaches will have better waves overall at the structured areas. Top south-facing reefs look pretty solid. Again, overcast skies and, unfortunately, some funky south winds. Not as strong as it has been, but definitely putting a little bit of a texture on some of the more open areas. So a little bit of the good with the bad for sure. So solid surf again. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I make up lyrics if I don't know them. Lauren. One of the reasons I don't like paper plate. Wasteful. Woods. I'm a butt grabber. I'm a boob grabber. Zienna. That's why I keep the antibacterial hand gel in my purse at all times. And Jay. There's no doubt in my mind there is only one soulmate for everyone. On FM 94.9. Tomorrow, Woodsy will be meeting with a hypnotist who will try to get him to stop smoking.
Sienna, what's going on in news? Well, back to Joran Vandersloot, who is right now in a Peruvian prison, is suing his former attorney, Luz Marina Romero Chinche. He says that she was imposed upon him. However, she claims... that he chose her as his own private attorney. So there's all this controversy because, you know, he confessed to her. And so it's this big lawsuit, and he's back, and he's mad from the Peruvian prison. Also, 17 illegal immigrants were arrested in La Jolla after a boat drop-off at around 12.30 a.m. This is on Black's Beach, and this is the third time that there's been a whole case of people arrested this month. Wow. Let's see what's going on in sports. Well, the Chargers have signed five out of their six draft picks, but they have yet to sign Ryan Matthews. They're going to be working on that feverishly in the next week, I could imagine. The Padres have extended Buddy Black through the 2013 season. He's a great manager. The team really rallies around him. And the Padres will be taking on the Braves tonight, so make sure to tune in for that. The Braves are leading the East. The Padres are leading the West. All right. It is time for us to play a game of Who's That Rapper?
I'm going to play you this rapper. You just have to tell me who it is. The first correct person wins Comic-Con tickets. Let me tell you about a day on the court, you see. Donnell, Dwayne, Demetrius makes three. We were making all the passes, yeah, cutting smooth. Shooting the three, yeah, we was in the groove. So we thought we set out to make a name for ourselves. We thought of a rap called the B-Boss Rest. So check it out, check it out, check it out, my friend. Let real fresh show you how it begins. 570. 194.9 is the number. Who was that person? Speechless. M1 Whoopi from Bird Rock. Hi, Whoopi. Good morning, guys. How are you doing? I was doing okay until I heard that clip. Why don't you take a guess? Who do you think that was? Can you play it again? I thought that was like intro music. Let me give it to you one more time. Here we go. Shooting the three and we was in the groove. So we thought we set out to make a name for ourselves. We thought of a rap called the B-Boss Rest. So check it out, check it out, check it out, my friend. The real press show you how it begins. Who is that, Whoopi? Goodness, it's one of these stupid young basketball players, isn't it? My goodness. Part of me wants to say, what's that boy's name? Chris Boss, but... Give me any guess. I'm going to go with...
Chris Bosh. That is incorrect, Whoopi. Incorrect. M1 Vanessa from Vista. Yes. What do you think? I'm going to say... I need an answer. Darnell Murphy? That is incorrect. Sorry. M1 Dean from Encinitas. Hey, Mikey. Hi. I agree with Whoopi. I'm going to have to go with... Just because he's topical, LeBron James. Incorrect. M1 Malone. Who do you think it was? Yeah, it's Ron Artest. Incorrect. M1 Danny, are you there? Yes, sir, I'm here. Who was it? It's Dwayne Wade. That is correct, ladies and gentlemen. That was Dwayne Wade.
Soon the three and we was in the groove. So we thought we set out to make a name for ourselves. You already memorized it, Woods. Is it bad that I don't think it's that bad? I like it. It is bad. It's not bad. Oh, my God. It's the worst thing I've ever heard. Who's the guy from Digital Underground? The Humpty Dance guy. The Humpty Dance. What's his name? M1 Danny, hang on the line. You are a winner. Nice. The way that the panel works is myself, Woods, and L.O.B. are the panel. So we will discuss the following stories. These are stories that are big in the news today. And so we'll find out what you think of them. First one is, did you know there was a third oil leak? Okay, I'm going to have to back up a little bit. Oil leak on the Gulf started April 20th, right? Got it. Right after that happened, there was announced three oil leaks. One was plugged May 5th. One is the one we've all been watching and worrying about for 90 days. Right. And then there was a third one, which no one's been talking about. Until recently, government officials have now been talking about this third oil leak and how, you know, there is still a problem and there's been a media blackout.
Because no one's been talking about it. And they need to work on that one too. What's going on? People in Florida are really upset about this. So that's what's going on right now. Woods, do you... How do I phrase this? Without leading the witness. Do you... I'll just say it. Do you buy this story of the unknown oil leak? Sure. I think... I think there's always going to be instances where something takes precedence over the other. And I think just because of the vast amount of, you know, the size of the one in the Gulf is just a lot different. Right. Yeah. LOB? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, even if you watch other countries' coverage of what's going on in the Gulf, they're getting more information than we are. So I absolutely believe that the media.
chooses to tell us what they want and kind of keep those hidden gems and expose them when they want to and just have power over what we know. See, I'm not buying the severity of a third oil leak. Here's what I think. I think that just like everybody said, when they plug the big one, it's going to make the other ones come out in the ocean. I think that the media will seize upon anything to make a big deal out of it. And so if this had been a big deal, I think they'd have made a big deal out of it. But in the beginning, right after this happened, they announced three. Lots of people did. And then they just all of a sudden stopped talking about the third one and focused on one. Probably because it wasn't a big deal. And the reason it wasn't a big deal is because they hadn't plugged one up that would cause pressure for that one. You know, it was probably going bleh, bleh, bleh, bleh, bleh. This one is billowing oil and deadly methane gas they've been announcing. I'm sure it is. It's the same thing as the other one. The only reason that this one is now making news is because there's pressure that's causing it to really billow.
I don't know how they're going to plug these things up. It's nuts. Also, the one, just a little update on it, too, the one that we have all been watching, the second leak, it's, you know, began leaking as well. We announced yesterday that there was seeping going on. Now there's leaking, and the Obama administration isn't going to do anything yet. They're saying, you know, we're just going to watch it and see what happens. We're going to watch it and chill out. Yeah. If you watch video of it, you can see bubbles coming up from where the new cap was placed. Bubbles? Bubbles? No, not Michael Jackson's chimpanzee. Have you heard about this story? Tarballs found in Ocean Beach. Washed up on the shore. Yes, some the size of a nickel, others as large as a baseball. Now, you know, investigators are trying to determine. Where did it come from? Is the tar from a man-made source or is it from a naturally occurring seepage from the ocean floor? So that's what they're looking into right now. But they found it right here in OB. Woods, where do you think that this is coming from? I don't have the foggiest idea, but what I will tell you is this. It's yet another reason why I'm...
petrified of getting in the water lately. I know. The first thing that got you was a stingrays. Yeah, sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, tarballs washing up in my mouth. Yep. Lauren O'Brien, what's your take on tarballs and Ocean Beach? Well, I got a big, giant... tar on my foot back in may before everything had escalated to what it was and i'm used to that from the east coast so i'd be interested to see if it's just a natural occurrence like there's i've come across tar on the beach for years or if it's directly coming from the gulf stream we know this we know that even uh off uh the shores of santa barbara there's oil rigs i mean california has offshore drilling but i'm just saying without being Make everybody think I'm crazy. I wouldn't be surprised if this was coming from... I wouldn't be surprised. I wouldn't either. Nothing surprises me anymore. Wouldn't surprise me if it made its way all the way around... I think it's going to make its way around the world. Tests are being done right now. They say that they should return in about two weeks and we'll know what it's from. But if you do see these tar balls, they say people should avoid touching them with their bare feet or hands. Yeah, I mean, it got on Lauren's feet so bad, right?
You had to, like, chisel it off. Oh, yeah. It was remnants for weeks. Yeah. I had to use ice and, like, chip it off and then use olive oil to get the remnants off. Oh, my gosh. A little lava. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, a little lava. M1 Greg from Hillcrest, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. What did you want to say? Hey, you know, this occurs naturally up in Santa Barbara. You walk on the beach and... You just have to deal with the tar. That's too bad. Now, is it naturally or is it the fact that off the coast of Santa Barbara, they do offshore drilling? They do offshore drilling, but it occurs naturally. Even in the areas where they're not doing drilling, the tar just comes off and it's all over the place. That's gross. You surf out at Devereaux, you surf Campus Point, and you just deal with it. It's, you know? So gross. You come back up, you know, some lighter fluid or something to remove the crap off your feet. That's right. Thank you, Greg. I appreciate the phone call. I mean, that's why North Carolina, they're called the Tar Heels because the beach is there. It just seeps up. Does it really? Yeah. That's filthy. That's filthy. Okay. Filthy or natural. This next one, when I first heard about this next one, initially I was like, what is that? What is that? I don't know that I care. But then as Sienna explained, I went, oh, I think I care.
Yeah. So there's a store I'm sure you've all seen in the mall, Forever 21. It's a store where mainly teenagers shop, trendy clothes, inexpensive. And now they have just added a maternity line, which they're calling Love 21. Now, right now, the maternity line, they're testing out in five states, California, Arizona, Alaska, Utah, and Texas. Now, the weird thing that's caused quite a stir amongst people is that... Three out of five of those states are where they have the highest rate of teen pregnancy. So here's a store focused towards teenagers, inexpensive clothes, and they now have a maternity line. Woodsy. Teenagers get pregnant, they need clothes to wear. Forever 21 is a great option for them. Lauren O'Brien. I'm almost 30 and I have friends my age and older than me that shop at Forever 21 because it's cheap. And if you're into trends, they come and go and you can get it at that store. I think that they're just capitalizing on the baby boom that's happening. And I think it's just smart marketing. Hey, listen, if it's, you know, for adults that like to shop at Forever 21 because the clothes are cool and they like them. Cool. If the clothes are meant to target a teenage pregnant crowd.
I don't like it at all. I think it's awful. And I think it's like selling sunglasses for teenagers with hangovers. Because they want to block their bloodshot eyes. I mean, are we... What's the matter with us? I'd be surprised if they come out with a pet line. I think there's a baby boom right now. People are really into their pets. I think they're just trying to capitalize on what people are spending their money on. Yeah. Yeah. I may go stop in there and check out the picture, right? And Sienna's 25. Sienna's 25. I'm fine with that. Mikey Show, have you ever gone to the mall and seen a couple fighting? Oh, yeah. Well, that couple is my wife and I, except that I don't participate in the fight. M1JohnnyBGood says, my wife will go off on me no matter where we are. I see people judging me. I'm not a wimp. I just choose not to air out our dirty details in front of people. Shouldn't we be able to communicate without raising our voices?
That's M1 Johnny B. Good. Yeah, Johnny B. Good. We should be able to exercise our differences without raising our voices. And I think that you do the right thing in not fighting in public because that's the worst thing to have to witness and look at and hear and all that stuff. And that goes, by the way, for people that are arguing on the phone. while you're in the grocery store or in line. You ever hear of that guy? We know what's going on. And they're on their Bluetooth, so you think that they're yelling at you. Like, oh, sorry. I didn't say anything to you. Yeah. What are you looking at? I'm looking at the guy in aisle nine yelling into his Bluetooth. Screaming at his wife. Yeah. But you guys ever know, see, there are different people that will argue with their spouse or their boyfriend or girlfriend in different ways. Like, we're friends with a gal. Who, if they are upset, she can be in a terrible, terrible fight with her boyfriend slash husband on the way to a party. But when they get to that party, happy face. Wow. And the guy would seethe, seethe because she was putting on happy face. I am a firm believer in, you know, I'm somewhere in the middle.
I'm not in the middle erring towards the side of fight, but I also don't want to put on a fake happy face because to me that's so phony. But if you're going to a party? I just won't be... I'm not going to fight in front of people. I would totally put on a happy face. You don't want to bring down that... Everybody else has fun. No, no. But I also don't want to be phony. Well, you don't have to be overly like, oh my gosh. Like doing the backflips and giving everyone cupcakes. Yes. We are so in love and we're here. And I know people that do that though. Have you met that person that will do that and overly sell the, oh my gosh, we're so happy. Of course. 5701949. What's your, what do you do? Woodsy, what about you? Dude, we don't fight a lot, but if we do, she'll do the happy face. I'll do the big baby. You do? Yeah. Even if you're like, okay, say Mike's having a party and we're all going over there and more of his friends will be there too. And you and Jamie get in a fight about the dogs at the house. Okay. And you're like, all right, we got to be at Mike's in five minutes. We got to go. It's time to go. We're already late. You're in the car. You still are arguing. And then you pull up to Mike's house and you walk in. You're just going to pout? Yeah, I'll just go sit and hang with him. Got to give the kid this. What? It's authentic.
It's genuine. I'll just go sit and hang with Mike. I may want to talk to you and be like, what's the matter? Nothing. I'm just tired. Kim and I just did this. I'm not going to be at Mikey's house going, hello, my baby, if I'm not in a good mood. Oh, my gosh. We'd been at the beach. Oh, I could do it. I could turn it on. And we'd thrown a few down. We'd had a few drinks. And we came back to the house, and everybody was going to come back to our house. And for some reason, we got into it about something ridiculous. I'm sure it was my fault. Always is. And I just immediately, I get home and I bust into mode. You know, it's like, okay, people are coming over. Here's the things that I have to accomplish before they get here. We go at it. We get everything set. A few times, you know, because, I mean, at a party, you don't really even see each other, it seems like. Right. And she was sure to give me the, oh, yeah, I still remember that. As you passed each other? As we passed each other throughout the party, you know. But together, we'd both be having a conversation. Everything would be good. Yeah. But then after the party, we just both went to bed. Not angry, just where we were. And the next day, she woke up. She goes, you know, I may have been wrong. You know, I was like, oh, thanks, honey. That's good. What's that like?
I'm just kidding. Listen, all I know is, is that I... No, I'm just kidding, Emma. Seriously, I'm just kidding. Oh, boy. I call that bold talk for what I bet, man. Wow. I will say this, that it's better than, at least to each other, putting on the fake we're happy bit. No. To each other. To each other, Sienna. Like, when you do that, if you, please tell me you don't, go up to Todd and pretend you're happy. Oh. No. I mean, like, I'll walk in, like, everything's fine. Like, we're totally fine. Okay. I'll give you that. I'm not, like, making out with him in the corner. No, but, like. And you kind of avoid each other a little bit. Yeah. But you're civil. And usually what ends up happening for me, it's, like, you've played the part of civil enough that. Without even talking about it, you're just over it. Yeah, every time. Yeah, you see someone 45 minutes into the party and you can put your hand around their waist and be like, I'm over it. With our fights, all that ever happens is we get in a fight, I yell, she'll yell back. If you give us a little time, I'll just come up and go.
You still in a fight? You still in a fight? And I start poking at her. She's like, no, do you? I'm like, no. All right, let's go watch a movie. I mean, it's just time. It's just time. Our fights never, and it's like that with my mom. I was always like that with my mom. Our fights don't last longer than five minutes, and they don't carry on the rest of the day. Rebecca and I will get into the dumbest arguments. Of course. Do you know what I was irritated at my darling about the last time? And she must have gone. Really? Did it have something to do with your robes? What about your cloaks? Scepter. Crowns. Thrones. Chariot. Is your chariot on the fritz again? I don't wear robes. Or cloaks. Mink scarf. Your mink stole. What about the mink thing that you put your hands in when you go ice skating? You know that thing? What's that called? A hand warmer. The hand warmer. It was about the mink hand warmer. No, no. What was it about? It's so stupid. She didn't immediately. She wasn't immediately in on going to Huey Lewis in the news. How could you not want to go? Thank you, Sienna. How could you not want to go? Thank you. Thank you, Sienna.
What happened? Being the one soul. It was my idea. To have my back. I know. That's what makes me nervous. I like Huey Lewis, but I wouldn't get mad at someone. She didn't say no, Woods. But she wasn't exuberant. Dude, I feel you. I'll have your back on this. I'll have your back on that. Because, you know. We're all grown up. We're all grown up little kids. And L.O.B., don't give me those judging eyes. You would be so butthurt, too. If your boyfriend's favorite, if your boyfriend, if you had a boyfriend and his favorite band. Mikey's favorite band is not huge. Fair enough. He couldn't even name one song yesterday. If she wanted to go, if she wanted to go to a concert. Yeah. And she said it to her boyfriend and he was like, meh, meh, meh. Mikey, you're on to the newest thing every minute. Every minute something's shiny. I like you. It's true. But I like Huey Lewis in the news. You couldn't name one song yesterday. But Mikey... Hey, it was... No, I can name 500 Huey Lewis in the news songs. I can. You want me to? Because you went on iTunes last night and downloaded his collection. No, I can name 500 Huey Lewis songs. The reason that I wasn't able to come up with them yesterday was the same reason I had to eject today because my brain was like...
Hi, Mike. I'm your brain. How are you feeling right now that you can't come up with one Huey Lewis song for this bit that we're all doing, Mike? Except you. Come up with one, Mike. Can you come up with one? So you bring it up and you say, hey, this is going to be a great idea. So you go to her and you say, hey, Woodsie just texted me. Huey Lewis is here. Were you there? You're actually saying exactly what I said. Woodsie just texted me. Huey Lewis is here. Down at Rincon. Rincon Casino. They're going to be playing there. Are you in? Are we in? Let's go. We're going. And she goes, eh. Really? She didn't say no. She was like, eh. How often does Mike go out at night, especially to a concert? How often does Julie Lewis come to town? But Mike, it takes a lot. She didn't say no. It takes a lot for Mike to even want to go to something. Does it? I think. Unless it's like a dinner.
No, L.O.B. I'm constantly begging people, let's go to this concert. Let's go to that concert. I can't, you can't keep me out of concerts, you know? I'm breaking those, I'm sleeping overnight to buy tickets and get a wristband to be in the lottery. She didn't say no, why don't you go with Woods? Yeah, maybe we just do guys night out. He wanted to go with his wife. Maybe that's what we do. I guarantee that. Rebecca will go. Go with your other wife. Yeah. Maybe that's what we do. Rebecca will go. She always takes one for the team. Maybe I should go shoot myself. Oh, you stop it. Pretty famous media celebrity announced yesterday that he might be going blind. Oh. And I'm going to play you the audio of who that is next. And they're going to start carrying maternity clothes, pregnant clothes. And my thought on that was like, it's like selling sunglasses to kids that are specially made for hangovers because their eyes are bloodshot. It's rewarding a behavior that isn't good. Anyway, people are texting us about it. M1Mac texted in and said, Mikey, why get mad at Forever 21 when it's the parents' fault for letting their teens get into a position?

At the end of the day, that kid is wired a certain way. You can do your best to raise them the right way, but sometimes they just, they go off, they do their thing. You know, my son Luke. That guy is... You get your hands full. He's a handful. 11 months old. You could see it in that kid's face. He's got the eye. He's got that eye that's just like, really? He's on the line right now. Luke, you there? Yeah, what's up? Luke's 11 months old. What's up? He's my son. You're eating your breakfast? Yep, baby food. What kind? Delicious. Don't worry about it. Oh, wow. You see what I mean? He's talking to his Auntie Sienna.
And you could already tell, Luke, by the way, don't talk to your Auntie Sienna that way. How's Juggs doing? Okay, first of all, her name is Auntie Sienna. Not Juggs. Not Juggs, you don't call her that. Auntie, how is this, 1940? Really? Auntie, I love Auntie. Why don't you swallow your baby food? Before you're talking with your mouth full. Yeah, I learned it from you, Dad. No, you didn't. No, you didn't. I listen to the show. You come back from break. You're chewing something. You know, Luke, I have a very short period of time to be able to have breakfast in the morning. Great. I need the keys. I want to go see Inception. Inception? You're not going to go see Inception. Why not? Well, because it's rated on. You're 11 months old. You're a baby. You're wearing a diaper right now. Are you going to drive me or do I got to hitch a ride again? No. Again. Again. No, I'm not going to drive you. And second of all, you've never hitched a ride. You can't hitch a ride. You're 11 months old in diapers. You're eating baby food right now. Well, hey, listen.
I've got a fake mustache. No, you don't. And I have a fake ID. So I think that I can probably get by the, you know, genius that they have taken tickets. You have a fake ID. Yeah, I've got a senior being. Okay, great. That's Woodsy's dog. First of all, you're telling me, Luke, my 11-month-old son, wearing diapers, eating baby food, on the phone with us right now, you're telling me that you think that at 11 months old, you'll pass for a 17-year-old. Yeah, I just said I have a fake mustache and the fake glasses. It's not going to work. It's not going to work, my friend. Maybe you worry about a vigorous workout today. Not about what movie I'm watching. A vigorous workout? You've got an extensive vocabulary. Vocabulary, really? Vigorous at 11 months old? You're going to say that? Maybe you worry about that. Maybe you have a salad today, pal. Maybe I will, Luke. Maybe you don't need to worry about your father. Maybe you wear shorts that don't look like Capri pants. Wow. Zing. You know what? You can't talk to him like that. Hey, Chief, are you going to drive me or do I need to get a bus? Don't call me chief. Katie thinks we're going to see this movie. I've already told her I'm not going to be the jackass here. Who's Katie? Who's Katie? My girlfriend. You're really 11 months old. He always talks about this Katie. I know. What does she look like? You don't worry about her. How old is she?
How old is she? Yeah. 14 months. Really? 14 months. Going for the older women. Luke is 11 months, and Katie apparently 14 months, and he met her on Skype, she said. She's probably walking now, huh? Yeah, she is. Okay, great. All right, Luke, well. What time do you get off? You know what time I get off! I get up at the same time every day, 10 o'clock. Really? Yes! I'll see you when you get off. All right, great. Goodbye. Does he ever call you dad? No. He calls you every name in the book. Pal, dude. Chief, pal. Buddy. I ask him a simple question. As my son, he tells me not to worry about it. Yeah. I have to worry about it. It's my job as a father. He's going out with a 14-month-old. Older woman. A little hussy. You know what I mean? A cougar. Obviously a cougar. It's out of control. See, that's what I mean. You could do the best job that you possibly can parenting, but these kids at the end of the day, they're going to be them. You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. In just a moment, we're going to be playing you the clip of the celebrity, the media celebrity that announced yesterday that he might be going blind.
First Dude You're Dumb. By the way, you can call in for Dude You're Dumb if you'd like. The way that Dude You're Dumb works is it's that guy. It's the guy that you see in the grocery store that makes you crazy. It's the girl that you see somewhere that just does something so dumb and they make you crazy. You can call us if you've recently seen one of these. 5701-949-Woodsy. Slays me. What is it? I know so many guys like this. All right, so let's say you're planning a trip. For vacation with your family. Okay. And you're telling your buddy about it. Yeah. Hey, well, we're going to go to X. Uh-huh. Well, how long are you guys going for? Three days. Oh, dude. That's a four-day trip at minimum. Really, Robin Leach. Been around the world? Dude, we're doing it in three days. Okay? I know that guy. I hate that guy. You just want to have a conversation with that guy? Yeah, I just want to tell you where I'm going on vacation. He wants to teach you. Yeah, he wants to teach you. Where are you staying?
Oh, that place to turn. I got a guy. Yeah, I got a guy. Dude, that guy kills me. And then the other guy that is hysterical is either at the store or at a restroom or subway. The guy that walks up. Hey, are you in line? No, I'm just hanging out. No, I'm just. You know, I was either going to go to Barbados or here. And I thought that, hey, this is probably going to be the best spot for me based on my budget right now. So I'm just going to hang out. I'm not getting anything. Maybe you're not standing in the right place. It's the are you in line guy. Yeah, are you in line? I always ask people if they're in line because I don't want to presume and then get in front of them. You know what, though? I presume. They're always in line. No, no. They're in line. Sometimes their wife is getting the food and they're just, oh, no, no, no, I'm just, then they back up. You know. I'm just supervising. Okay, then that's a DYD guy too. Yeah. The guy that's, there's clearly a line and you're hanging out near it. Go sit down. That's a bigger dude. Yeah, that's a bigger one. He's a, he is apparently really into lines. He's into it. Yeah, he's into it. It's his thing. He just wants to prove how much taller he is than everybody else. You're like, hey.
Do you have a fetish with lines? You at home, like, Googling line, pictures of lines forming. Are you that guy? When you go to Europe, you call it the Q. Yeah, exactly. M1 Blue Fig from El Cajon. Yeah, so this is my second day of work, and I just pulled into the parking lot a little early, and there's this guy that is a new hire with me, and he just pulled out from his trunk a noodle. which is the thing that you float on in a pool. The noodles for the pool. Are you a swim instructor? So let me tell you what he did with said noodle. He pulled out said noodle, taped four magnets along the side. He put the magnets on his car so no one would scrape to the side of his car. Oh, my God. No way. Oh, my God. You've got to be kidding me. You've got to be kidding me. Can you take a picture of the noodled car? Please, please, please. Yes, I will take a picture of the noodled car. Don't get the license. And I'm sitting here watching. It's hilarious. It was perfect. M1 Blue Fig, please take a picture with your phone. It's a Nissan Sentra. I will take a picture with my phone, and I'll send it in. Is it a Lotus? What's he protecting? It's an Infiniti Q45T.
You know what I hope happens? Wow. He scratches his car with a magnet. He scratches his car with a magnet. Pulls the paint right off. How great would that be? That's the greatest thing I've ever heard. That's unbelievable. I was like, where is this going? Yeah. How does that guy not get that thing stolen? Yeah, right. How does somebody not come along and go, you clown. How does somebody not go get a Sharpie and write on it, you are a dip-ass, and then just walk away? Seriously, if you walked past a car and you were like, are those noodles? Is that a swim noodle? People would spit on it. I'd make it into the shape of something inappropriate. Blue Fig? Yeah, someone pulled up the next one and he was staring at it. Blue Fig. I love it. Blue Fig, you work with this guy, right? Yes, I do. He's got... I don't know if his... Don't tell me his name. Let's just say his name is Greg. Greg has got... Greg has got to become Swim Noodle. Yeah, Noodle Guy. Noodle Guy. From this point on, I'd be... Hey, Swim Noodle. Hey, Noodle Ned. Hey, Noodle Ned. Hey, Noodle Guy.
Hey, noodle guy. Somebody's just noodle. Hey, noodles. How about noodles? Hey, noodles. Hey, noodles. How's the paint working out for you, noodles? Cup-o-noodle. What, do you have chicken noodle soup for lunch today again, Claire? Oh, that is funny. Hey, ramen boy. Yes. That's a first, and I've heard a lot of stuff. You're just noodling around, and you're cute. You're just noodling around? Any type of noodle there is is his name. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yep. Why not just get big life preservers and magnetize those to the side of your infinity? How about one of those? Maybe put the bra on the front of your car, too. Maybe just cover it when you go to the office. But actually just go to Victoria's Secret and use those bras. Right. Or one of the Sienna's. Hey, how about you get little kid floaties and you magnetize those to the side of your car, too? Someone should just do that and stick some all over his car. Just get bubble wrap. Why not just get a roll of bubble wrap? Thank you, Blue Fig. M1, Sean from San Marcos. Hi. How you doing? Good. Oh, yeah. Is this where I say what's dumb? Yes. Yes, it is. Yes. Yes, it is. You just made the list. Yes. You might be on there. All right. So I recently started a job as a lot attendant at Home Depot. And one of the parts of my job is we load people's cars where they have a lot of stuff. Well, one guy pulls up with 15 bags of steer manure that he needs loaded.
and he had to load them into the backseat of his Rolls Royce. No way. He put bags of manure in the backseat of his Rolls Royce. When did you meet Tiana's dad? I was just going to say, what's wrong with that? Dude, I would have said to him, listen, I'll do this for you, but do you want to put poop? Do you want to put bags of poop in the back of your Rolls Royce? What are those, Rod? Two? That's my extra car. Yeah. This is my work van. This is my commuter. It doesn't matter. This is my work van. This is my lemon. Wow. You stupid ignorant son of a bitch dumb bastard. Was it a brand new car? Yeah. Oh my gosh. Perfect. That's dude you're dumb. Yeah that's a dude you're dumb. It can be cleaned. It's blue. I know it's disgusting. I like the smell of manure. Is that weird? Yes. Yes, it is. Oh, you know what? You know what? L.O.B. I'm really glad L.O.B. said that. Oh, no. Because if she hadn't been honest about that, I will say this. I don't think that the smell of skunk or manure is that bad. Oh, my. I like the smell of skunk. Oh, no. I wouldn't go. Listen, I wouldn't go crazy.
That's crazy. I wouldn't go as far. Okay, I don't like it like right there at the spray point, but if it just comes through in the breeze, yeah, I'm like, oh, that's not bad. Disgusting. Gasoline, same thing. Oh, I love gasoline. I love gasoline. I don't like the smell of... See... You like manure? No. Hang on a minute. Manure? We need to discuss. No, no, no. We got to discuss this. Mariachi? I don't like it. I don't like it. Right. But it's not like if you were to step in dog do. Oh, yeah. When you step in dog do, there's nothing. Game over. Nothing worse. Game over. Game over. Okay, that's an awful smell. It's awful. A diaper is an awful, awful smell. Yeah. Okay. I wouldn't even put the two in the same category. I wouldn't either. Diaper and skunk. Wouldn't even put them in the same category. No way. In fact, if what a skunk sprayed. Was like a diaper? Yeah. I think we'd outlaw skunks in the United States. There'd be skunk-killing posses. Yeah, there would be skunk-killing posses. The skunk smell is so potent and strong. It's very pungent. Yes, it's strong. And you're like, oh! It is. You know, it's stronger, piercing almost. It's piercing, it's strong. It's like smelling a siren. It's like pungent. It's pungent. Do you guys feel it's pungent? Let's come up with every word. It's piercing, it's pungent. But I don't think that it's like...
No. No, dog poop is that bad. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I don't find, I'm so glad you said that, L.O.B., because I've thought that and thought, if I ever announced this to the world. You garden, though. You're probably used to, I don't like the smell of that manure and mulch and stuff. See, I'm not like, hey, I'm going to get that as my new air freshener scent. It's just like when I pass by it, I'm like, that ain't so bad. Now, I will say this. You said you like. I will say this. When I pass by, when I pass by a place where there's like dairy cows, That's bad. Yeah. It's the processed manure. It's the fertilizer. Yeah, fertilizer to me, it doesn't smell like dew. I wouldn't kick it out of bed. But you guys like it? I wouldn't kick it out of bed. I think everyone will agree it's not that bad. There's worse. But you guys were saying you liked it. I may actually accidentally get a little gasoline on my finger from time to time. But it doesn't. I love it. It doesn't smell the same when it's on your finger. I don't huff it or anything. I just like the way it smells. I love the way it smells. Oh, I love gasoline. I avoid gasoline on, like, that's like an OCD thing I have. Yeah, me too. I avoid it on my hands so bad when I'm filling up that I will actually follow the directions that are written on the actual gas thing.
Where you hold it for three seconds after it's already pumped. You hold it for 1,001, 1,002, 1,003. Me too. Just so that there's no drip. Yeah, because it's different when it's on your hands than the faint vapors. If you get it on your hand and smell it, it's horrible. That's why you wear those dainty white gloves, right? I don't wear dainty white gloves. It did get on the fur of your cloak. I noticed that. That's why you wore a different one today. Before I started working with all you creeps, if I had to take a guess of the things that I would be made fun of, I could have never in a gajillion years imagined cloaks. I never thought I'd use the word cloak again ever. I used it once when I was seven. To the point where Woodsy practically put a gun in my head and made me record a commercial. For Mikey's House of Cloaks. Can we hear that again? And Scepters. I want it. Where is it, Jay? Jay's going to find it. Yeah. He's going to find it. We'll play it. Jay will find it. Put it up for us. Is he playing video games in there? He's playing World of Warcraft in there. No. He's loading audio. How's Doom going today? You doing good? Is that Halo in there? He's loading audio. I am a huge nerd.
Oh, my gosh. He's playing with 13-year-old boys in Des Moines. Whoa. That's easy. Go to jail for that. I made Halo. Did you? Creeps. Your hair is sticky. It's been really distracting me. Lauren has hair sticking. You have an alfalfa hair sticking straight up right now. It's pretty distracting. It's because of the hood. I was trying so hard not to bring it up. How do you not bring it up? It's sticking straight up in the air like alfalfa. It's like this. It's the hood. She could have had... Take your headphones off and re-put them. Oh, no. Let me tell you something. She could have had a green-tipped muscle stuck in her teeth. It wouldn't have been as distracting as that alfalfa hair. She looks like Bill Murray in Kingpin. It was ecstatic from the hood. I was like, okay, I shouldn't bring this up. Nobody photoshopped her face under Bill Murray's Kingpin. M1 Bear from Little Italy. Are you there? Good morning, Mike Joe. Good morning, dude.
Easy. I feel so bad for this guy, but at the same time, this is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen working over here at the airport. This guy came through security, and we thought there was something on his legs. He had some kind of short shorts on. Uh-oh. He was easily like 6'4", and we thought there was something on his legs. We're sitting there looking at him, and then we realized that he did not have red stockings on, but his legs were... sunburned. And he was like obviously advertising it to the world because he decided to wear shorts. It was so bad. I actually got a picture of it and I felt kind of bad for doing it and taking advantage of the guy but I didn't care at the moment. It was hilarious. My wife and I have a thing. Where she knows if I see something like that because I'll go, uh-oh. Uh-oh. You do that all the time. Uh-oh. It's so much better than, hey. Yeah, it is. Oh, my God. It is. Which is, I do the elbow.
I'm like, dear, dear, dear, dear, dear. Uh-oh is such a fun game to play because if you're the other person, you're like, what is it? You're looking around. What? I spy. 5701949 is our number. Well, I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head. That didn't hurt. All right. So I promise you, I promise you this. When we come back, I promise. I will play you the audio of the announcement that was made yesterday from the guy who said that he may be going blind. I'll play that audio for you next. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. I was thinking the same thing. Oh, no. Oh, yeah. They're showing the procession of black SUVs carrying Lindsay Lohan to jail. Give me a break. What was the last movie she was in? I don't know, but I will tell you this. I'm watching it. Yeah, with bated breath. Why? I don't know, because we're idiots. We're idiots. Speak for yourself. Really? Imagine, like... What she's thinking right now, looking out the window, there's helicopters flying above, news media surrounding her. Look at the jail. It's like a red carpet event. She's thinking this. I didn't, if somebody would have told me, I didn't, I didn't know. Well, I mean. You know, that doesn't have a deal. Okay, go to your classes. You are a smelly pirate hooker. So, yes. People that take advantage of their second, third, fourth chances. So, you know.
Jay has control of some sound effects now. He's been doing that now for a couple of days, and every once in a while I hear one, I'm like, maybe I write that one down to let Jay know that we don't necessarily have to play. Never happened, Mikey. Never did happen. You didn't hear that. Oh, wow. Anyway. That wouldn't happen if Sean were here. Just in case you didn't know, Lindsay Lohan is checking into jail today at the Linwood Correctional Facility, since we were just talking about it. They're saying that she's only going to be serving about 22 days of her 90-day sentence. So we'll see how that goes. What else is that? Is that it? Oh, no, no, no. I have a couple news things. On the cover of the UT, you may have heard of Molly and McGee. Does that sound familiar to you guys? It's an animal. The owls. Owls. Fans from around the world have watched these owls. They hatched four little baby owls, and then they flew off and did their own thing. And, you know, it's all streamed live on the Internet. That's good. Well, right after the baby owls left in May, Molly, the mom, returned, you know, and has four more eggs. And people have been going nuts because the video streaming was shut down because the royals, the people who have this owl box in their backyard in San Marcos, were going to go on vacation. Well, they've announced they're going to go have a staycation, stay here. They're going to relaunch the owls. You get to do it all over again for season two. You're going to charge a dollar for every person that looks at it. Oh, no. And people are liking to look at it. They're going to charge a dollar. They're watching it for hours at a time.
Looking at owls in a nest with nursing their young. This page has generated over 14 million page views. Over 14 million page views of this. As many as 20,000 people have been online at one time watching Molly doing her things with baby owls. That's the weirdest thing. Isn't that crazy? I'm surprised, L.O.B. It's nature. I would think that you'd be interested in it. I'd go outside and watch nature. You can't watch owls feeding their young in nature. You can't. Yeah, I'm not that interested in owls. They freak me out. I'll tell you something, pal. If I'm sitting inside watching something on my computer for four hours, it's not going to be owls. Okay? Also yesterday, Governor... A different set of Hooters. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Very good. Also yesterday, Governor Schwarzenegger signed two bills paying tribute to former President Ronald Reagan. The first bill is designed, designates February 6th as Ronald Reagan Day in California. Love it. And the second... Love it. He's a great president. And it's not like, oh, you're going to have the holiday off if you go to school or work or whatever. You're just going to, you know, pay respect to Ronald Reagan. Let me tell you something. On that dude's watch, that guy did not mess around. When anybody messed with America, under Ronnie's watch, he did not mess around.
I'll come out here and rough talk him and run him off. That's the truth. And the second bill that Governor Schwarzenegger signed into effect yesterday establishes a commission to plan to celebrate Ronald Reagan. What would have been Ronald Reagan's 100th birthday next February? Didn't mean to interrupt yellow. What's that? She's captivated. Oh, she's freaking captivated. She's the one of us. The one. That can't take her eyes off that TV. Oh, really? I look at the TV all the time. There's gazing. Gazing as they show the live shot of Lindsay pulling up to jail. It's live. They just threw confetti at her as she walked past. Confetti. Yes. Oh, what a strange culture. We're such a strange. She's waving. She's bumming, dude. She is bumming. I'm telling you, my gut is dropping right now. I have done that. perp walk before. Did you have media all waiting for you? Yeah, there's tons of media there. Yes, it's me. Yeah, it's me. It's Woods. By media, he means there was paint over here. A couple guys cleaning windows. Okay. Let's see.
570-1949 is our number if you want to give us a call. What's going on in Sportswoods? Well, the Chargers have five of their six draft picks signed. They have not signed their big running back stud, Ryan Matthews, yet. Get on it. It's got to happen in the next week or so because the camp starts on the 25th for rookies and the first full squad is July 30th. Padres will be taking on the Braves tonight. Should be an awesome, awesome series. They're leading the East. We are leading the West. So we've got to make that right. By the way, Ryan Matthews, the rookie running back for the Chargers, he says he'd like to report sometime between when the rookies and the vets report. At no later than the 30th, he says. How about the first day, bro? Yeah, get there. Got no problem with that. Tomorrow, Woodsy's meeting with a hypnotist. Got to make sure you're listening. Okay, so. All right, let me give you this. Yesterday. On his radio and television show, Glenn Beck made the following announcement. Let's see. Here we go. He did all kinds of tests and he said, you have macular dystrophy. And I said, is that that Jerry Lewis thing? I should have given more. I said, what does that mean? And he said.
Well, it's kind of full range. You could go blind in the next year or you might. Can you imagine if they say you could go blind or maybe not? I would be so terrified. Oh, my gosh. So it's basically the same odds as if he didn't get diagnosed with that disease. Right, exactly. Thanks for the heads up. Exactly. Well, I guess just knowing that you could and that there's something that exists. within your health that could very well make you go blind. If you had a 50-50% chance, would you want to know or would you rather not know? I'd rather want to know. I think, yeah, you might want to get your last thing. Oh my gosh, no, wait, you just sprained my brain. Do you soak it all in like that last year? Yeah, go see sunsets and waterfalls if you can find them. It's called YouTube? Yeah, well, if there's something that maybe you've always wanted to see and you never have. Google. It's called Google Images. Google the pyramids. First you type it in, then you click on search, and then you click images.
Man, that's tough. See, that's what drives my wife crazy about me. Honey, the Sphinx. I'm like, look at it online. That's pretty. It's not the same. Go to National Geographic channel and watch it. Oh, it's not the same. Very little wireless in Egypt. Yeah. So that's not going to happen, that trip over there. No. Let's see. A couple of things. Okay. I'm not interested in the TV show The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, aren't I? You probably watch it more than anyone here. I used to, and that was the season where I was out. Yeah. It jumped the shark for me. They've had so many seasons, it's hard to keep up. Yeah, right? It's like every three weeks. I know. I don't watch any TV now except for a couple things that I will DVR. So I don't watch TV. My wife does. She likes all the clown dancing shows. Yeah, my wife was livid last night that she forgot to tape The Bachelor. So when I came upstairs for bed, it was on the TV. And I looked at her like, no.
This isn't going to fly. We can't watch it online, tell her. Yeah, she's going to do that today, I hope. Well, there's a Bachelorette show, too. Yeah. They have a girl, and they've got 25 dudes, and they're vying for her. I'm sure it'll work out. Yeah, it's totally going to work out. That was a show my friend wanted to nominate me for. The Bachelorette? Do you know me? Yeah. Who is this friend? Wow. They didn't know that that would not work with you. What word? do most women use when they want to describe something that's really wonderful besides the word wonderful cute yeah let's say l-o-b they went on a date okay and the date was truly spectacular what's a word that they might use to i know exactly what word might they use to describe a spectacular date it was it was amazing oh my gosh wow i do it you do it too i say amazing all the time it was amazing
Jimmy Kimmel did an amazing count just from last night's episode. Shocking. The same girl? Different people. Okay. So, guys, girls. How many times do they say the word amazing just on last night's goofy show? Frank and I have an amazing connection. I have three amazing guys. There's something so just real and... amazing about it. It was so amazing. Yeah, it's just amazing. Can you describe it, how amazing it was? It was so amazing. Oh my God. It was an amazing time with an amazing girl. It was an amazing experience. And we had an amazing day. I have two amazing men. It's going to be amazing. It's amazing. Yeah, this is amazing. It's going to be amazing. It's great to feel that with an amazing girl. She really is amazing. Oh, my God. How crazy is that? Maybe pick up a thesaurus. How about that? Wow. I just counted 18. 18. Wow. In one episode. How about a thesaurus? The actual definition, by the way, of that way overused word is causing great surprise or wonder. Astonishing. Really? Yeah. That date.
It was astonishing. It caused wonder. It caused wonder. You know what? Me going to the Sizzler with this clown caused great wonder within me. Gasp. Yes. I was astonished at being in the same room with clown school over there. That is hysterical. I love it. I've known that. Girls overuse amazing, especially here. So I've tried to limit it, but it's so hard. It's like just one of those easy words. It just comes out. Sabrina, do you say the word amazing often? I say amazing. So it's two words. It's actually kind of like you actually kind of say two words. It's not just one. If something is amazing, it's amazing. So what if something is really, really awesome, but it's not to the point of. Amazing. Then it's just totes awesome. It's totes awesome. Yeah. Which is totally awesome. Totally awesome. What would constitute amazing? Like if I went and this guy just like totes just bought me things that I wanted and just totes knew where I wanted to go and just totes knew everything to say, I'd be like, OMG, last night was amazing.
Amazing. You never say amazing when you do our weather reports. Yeah. Because it's not amazing here. She doesn't like being here. Oh, wow. The only reason that she's here is because we work in the Booz Allen Hamilton building. And her dad knows booze. Yeah, Mike Booz. Mike Booz. And nobody gave me the FYI that it is Alaska in here. I'm sorry. Nobody gave you the for your information that what? The FYI, the 411, the breakdown of BTW, it's Alaska in here. It's Alaska in here. It is pretty chilly. Yeah, you have your arms wrapped around yourself right now like you're really cool. Yeah, I need to borrow any of your cloaks, Mike, because it is... I don't wear cloaks. ...phurizing in here. Told you. What is that furry thing over there? It's phurizing in here. How come girls 21, 22 years old, they do break the words into two words? It's amazing. It's so annoying, man. It is a bit annoying. Kind of. You guys are irritating. Are we? Break that down. Three words. 570-1949 is our phone number. What's the weather like today?
I don't know. I can't tell because it's freezing in here, but it's supposed to be nicer than it's been. Yesterday, I got a little bit of a sunburn. You did? Yeah, I'm like a little bit pink. I like the Cosmo. I was drinking at the pool. You were drinking a Cosmo? I thought you liked Kahlua at the pool. Yeah, but I told you my stupid little brother drank all my Kahlua, so I just had to have whatever my dad had in the house, which was pink Cosmos. There you go. Dad had pink Cosmos in the house. Real masculine, Dad. How do you like that? No. Great. Maybe stop doing this stupid job. She hates it here. She doesn't like it. I don't want a job. She doesn't want a job. She goes to UCLA. Yeah. Does she? Does she? I do when school's in session. Right. Right now it's out. So you're here, you're shopping, you're doing your nails and you're laying out by the pool. I could be at the pool, right? I could be sleeping right now. No, we have you get up. We have you come in. It's good for you to come in here and actually have a job. Yeah, see how the real world lives. Yeah. Works out really well for Lindsay Lohan, huh? You keep doing that thing with your hair where you just keep putting that same piece of hair back in the same exact place. It doesn't move at all. It stays in the same place. You're not actually straightening it. At least I have hair to move out of my way. Okay, Mike. Oh, no. Mike. That's two words. Mike. Mike. Whatever, Woods. Thank you, Sabrina. Doesn't work as well with your order name. I know. Appreciate you. Call me Steven. Steven.
Let me ask you guys. We did this last week. You can call in with them, 570-1949. Sabrina, somebody's calling to say they love you. Oh, yeah. I love you, too. You don't even know who they are. I don't even know who they are. Who are they? I don't know. Is it a boy? You're already saying it. Mikey Show, who's this? This is Revy. And I just want to say that I love Sabrina. She's so extra cute. Oh, my God. You're so extra cute, too. You're doing, like, such a really, really, really, really good job. Oh, my gosh. That is amazing. Do your deed. Thank y'all. What does that mean? Do your deed. Oh, okay. Like, your job, you know? Like, I mean, you're doing a good job. Oh, okay. There you go. Thank y'all. Maybe you guys meet up later. You have a little Cosmo and Kahloa. Oh, totes. Yeah. Totes. We can get mani pedis. It'd be so totally amazing. Okay, perfect. Perfect, Sabrina. Oh, my gosh. Do you have, like, the newest color from Chanel, the Paradoxal? Oh, my gosh. What? You have to go get it. It's extra cute. Oh, my gosh. I'm going now. Is this real? Am I done? When do you get your mani pedi today?
Am I done here, Mike? No, you're not done. You sit there unless we need to ask you about the weather. Somebody loves you, but that doesn't mean, first of all, that what you're doing is right. Somebody loves me. That is more than none. Yes, it is. What is your name, sweetheart? Remy. Remy. All right, Remy. Well, thank you very much. She's the cutest. You're the cutest. She's the best M1 I've ever met. All right, I know. We got to go. Listen, I can't do anything about it. I can't do anything about it. I can't do it. Maybe she gets me a coffee. Booze from Booze Allen Hamilton that owns the building. He put her in here to do the weather. Hi, Mr. Booze. You called him a big, fat Mr. Booze. I never did. Yes, you did. Yesterday you said big, fat Mr. Booze. Big, fat idiot. Do you see this W, Mike? That's for you. That means whatever. M1 Mike from San Diego. Hey, I just wanted to know if that Sabrina girl is actually, like, for real. Yeah, she's working. Are you actually for real, Mike? Yes, I am, and so is Mike on the phone. Yeah, she does the weather for us daily. She comes in. She goes to UCLA. She likes to drink glue at the pool, get a tan, and come in here and do the weather. Wow, that's great. When I watched TV, I thought, you know, these people might be fake or might be scripted, but there are people like that. That's great. Yeah, turns out.
Yeah, and you'll never meet someone like me, okay? Because I'm so much fuller than you. Well, that's Sabrina, right? That's not very nice, Sabrina. Sabrina doesn't really have the social graces. I don't get paid to be nice. Don't listen to her. You don't get paid, period. You don't get paid, Sabrina. That's part of the other problem. I hope I never do. Thank you. I'll see you guys later. Thank you, Mike. Sorry about Sabrina. She's really... I was just kidding, by the way, Mike. Call back. You sound kind of cute. Oh, my gosh. We did this last week. Let's try it again. Now, you can call with these if you have them. 570-1949. Is there anything better then? Is there anything better than waking up to the smell of bacon? Oh, mamacita. Just love it. I miss bacon. Oh, my gosh. Mamacita. Oh, mamacita. I miss bacon. What's he doing? P90X can't have any bacon. I can eat turkey bacon, which tastes like dirt. Yeah. I like it. It's cold hard and crisp. When you wake up and you smell pancakes in your house with bacon, somebody's made Bisquick pancakes. You smell the sweetness and the maple sugary-ness. Strawberries all cut up. You smell that. Coffee brewing. Coffee with it. Is there any better now? Can we get some of that right now? The only thing that would make that better is if it were a Saturday morning. Yeah? Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah. And you thought it was Friday. You thought you had to get up and go to work. Yeah. Now, I don't know if you guys will follow me on this one, but try. Is there anything better that when you're feeling like you may be coming down with something because you're chilled and you step into a boiling hot shower. Oh, yeah. And it makes you feel like warm, soothing heaven as that. Warm, hot water is just coming down on you. A thousand tiny little hugs. Oh, yeah, it is. Yes, it is. You know that deal when you're chilled and you get into a boiling hot shower? That's the best. You never want to get out. You don't want to get out. Have you guys ever run the hot water heater out? Oh, yeah. In our old house when I was little. Yeah. And your dad. It's banging on the door. Get out. You want to see a dad lose his mind? Just run the hot water out. Take a shower that lasts longer than two and a half minutes and you'll see a dad freak out. That's right. What are you doing in there? Yeah. Don't worry about it. Ten minutes. Don't worry about it. Gross. I used to set the smoke alarm off.
Do you guys ever do that from a hot shower? You would set the smoke alarm off? Yeah. Really? Yeah, because the steam would come out. Oh, my gosh. No, I never did, but my dad would. If I'd have set a smoke alarm. You'd be a dead man. I wouldn't be sitting here right now. Trust me, it was not pretty. I bet your dad flipped out. Is there anything better than laughing so hard that you're embarrassed? You guys ever get one of those where you, you're laughing so hard that you can't stop. Yes. Yeah. You're at that point and you recognize in your mind, you go, I can't do anything about this. This isn't going to stop and I can't do anything about it. And I'm done. I'm gone. Yeah. Like when I saw Gran Torino. I was the only one laughing in the whole theater, which made me laugh even more. Which made you the only creep. You laughed out loud? Why? There's no funny part. There's nothing funny about it. It's hysterical. He's the most politically incorrect person I know. I lost it during that movie. How embarrassed. It was packed. Packed. If I was sitting next to you, I would have laughed. My wife was mortified. Oh, yeah.
You were like, shut up. Nobody else is laughing. I'm like. Oh, my gosh. So embarrassing. Woods thought it was the feel good comedy of the year. Yeah, Woods. There you go. This is for Lindsay Lohan. This one goes out to you, Lindsay. It's called Locked Up. This was like my jam back in the day. 5701949 is our number. Back in the day. Call us up if you have a, is there anything better than? We'll do that. I'm steady trying to find the motive. Oh, this is kind of creepy. And it's on Sunday, August the 29th. It's going to be great. So we will be getting back to is there anything better than in just a second. First, yesterday the Washington Post published a story about what, Sienna? This is pretty nuts. For the last two years, the Washington Post has been investigating into the intelligence world responsible for our safety, America's safety. And they have released a new series exploring the top secret world.
They're calling it Top Secret America. And the way they're describing it is a huge group of people. And what they do is it's like a defense and intelligence structure that has become so large and so secretive. They're calling it like the fourth branch of government. And no one knows how much money it costs, how many people it employs, or whether it is making the United States safer or not. My guess is... That it is. Yeah. Just to give you an idea of like how secret this is and how big it is. There are 28 buildings in San Diego based on top secret America that. No one really knew about until yesterday, until the Washington Post started revealing all of this. Well, see, that's the thing. I think to myself, how secret is it if they know there's 28 buildings in San Diego? 33 in D.C. They're saying there's over 10,000 locations across the country. Well, it's so secret that they know exactly how many buildings there are in each individual city. They did until yesterday. Well, I mean, it's not so secret. They're saying over 800. How did they find out? Who knows? I don't know. But they don't know who's in it. They don't know who knows about it.
become part of this. You know, it's a lot of secret stuff. I mean... I like it. You want me to blow your mind? Yeah. There's probably one above that. Oh, yeah. Oh, probably. What do you mean? You know what? There's probably one above that one, too. What do you mean? Probably... We probably have no idea the extent of how high the government reaches in this country. Man, if you've been watching the news, you've seen that there's been strange stories about UFOs flying. People can't quite figure out what those are, either. Perhaps that's yet a sixth branch of government. They've given some of the highlights about this, and they're saying there's over 1,200 government organizations and over 1,900 private companies that work on this top-secret program. And it's related to counterterrorism, homeland security, and intelligence at over 10,000 locations, like I said, across the country. And I guess this existed for a while, but ever since 9-11, it's really gone into effect. And they're getting a lot more people involved.
And now it's just now coming out. I like secret stuff. Yeah. It's interesting. It's interesting to me. Secret societies and stuff like that. It's fascinating. Let's see. Okay. So is there anything better than 5701949? Is there anything better than M1 Adam from Chula Vista? You there? Yeah. What's yours? All right. You just had a terrible day at school. And you come home, and mom's just made cookies. Oh, yummy. Delicious. Hot out of the oven. I can also, you can also, now, if you're older, you can also put that, if you had a really bad day, you come home, your wife has made chocolate chips. That's real nice. You walk in the door, you smell that. It's real good. Real good. That's right. I love it. M1 Alley, are you there? Is there anything better than what? Totally. Is there anything better than finding money in a pair of pants you have on? Oh. That's pretty awesome. Love it. Like a fresh 20 spot? Yeah. Even if it's a dollar, you're still like, hey, that's free money. That's money. It's better than nothing. That's free money. One time, I was in a sitting room, and I tried on a pair of shorts and stuck my hand in the pocket and pulled out a $50. Wow. Oh, wow. Jackpot.
Just kidding, I bought the pair of shorts with it. I was like, no way, worth it. There you go. Mikey would have turned it in. Lucky shorts. I'd have turned it in. I know you would have. Thank you. It's embarrassing. M1 Get Sticker Maker. Oh, that's my boy. Are you there? Yes, sir. How you doing? Good, dude. All right, is there anything better than you hit the night out on a town, go hit the bars up, and you get girls to buy you drinks? I wouldn't know. It's a pretty good one. I wouldn't know. I wouldn't know. Neither would I. What? You guys never had a girl buy you drinks before? I have. You know that. Well, you know Woods has. Jay has. 100%. Obviously, GetStickerMaker is a pretty sharp dude. Yeah. Me, myself. I never had girls buy you drinks. But hey, thank you for bringing my room now. How about this one? Is there anything better than... that feeling when you're fairly certain you're falling in love you're not a hundred percent but you're pretty sure that you're falling in love it's nice yeah you're right there in fact you're probably about when you think that you're about a week away you're a goner put it that way if if the doctor is writing you a prescription he says to you i need to break it to you you're done deal you're about to you're about to be in love with someone i fall in love a little bit more every day pal yeah yeah
That's really sweet, Woods. I do. I just thought of one too. Oh, wow. Not with you, with my wife. Woods and Mike. With my wife. I knew that was coming. As soon as Woods said it, I thought there's no way we can escape this without... He tried. I tried so hard. I tried. Tried everything I had in me. What about when you try a new recipe and your family just loves it? Yeah. Like when you serve it. Oh, I did that the other day. I like that feeling. It was a success. I'm usually the eater, though. Yeah. Mine's usually, when my wife makes a new recipe, I'm like, damn, that's good. Usually our 99.9. All the time. 100% of the time. 100% of the time. But it makes us feel so good, too, that you guys love it. You're like, yes! That's true. Yep. Is there anything better than when your last day of work ends and your vacation officially? Oh, that is great. To drive out of the parking lot at like 100 miles an hour. And you know I'm on vacation. The air smells sweeter. It does. It really does. Food tastes better. Food tastes better. It's real good. Let's see. 570-1949-M1-Grace from Oceanside. Hey, good morning, everybody. How you doing?
Wonderful, wonderful. On my way to work at Opsonix, and I love my job. It's an awesome job. Nice. Love the city, but there's nothing good than walking into your mother's home and she's making homemade tortillas. Oh, you know what? I almost wrote that, M1 Grace. In fact... Truth be known, I wrote it. And then I wrote it and I deleted it. You knew. I knew. I knew that when I did, I was going to hear, Mikey. Is there anything better than homemade tortillas with butter melting in them? On a cold winter day. Oh, my God. Woods, I'm going to make you guys some homemade tortillas. I have no idea. My housekeeper used to make them. Of course. We had a Mexican that made them, yes. Yes. She made them. Real good. It was awesome because sometimes we'd put habanero in there. Thank you guys for one of these days and drop it out. Grace, Grace, here's the deal. Email me at woods at mikeyshow.com and we'll get you up here on a Friday and you can bring in fresh tortillas. For sure. Monday, Wednesday. Grace, Grace, do you remember that email address?
What is it again? Nice, Mike. It's very easy. It's woods at mikeyshow.com. And yes, we do take bribes. So feel free to email. Maybe some frijoles. También. También, yeah, sí. Oh, okay. Un poquito queso. Yeah, sí. My boyfriend's a chef, so guacamole. Maybe you both come. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe you guys come every Friday. Maybe you come every Friday. Yeah. All right. Yeah, maybe I'll be like a little co-host. Perfect. Maybe we put you on hold and get your email just in case you... Put me on hold and get your email. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Austin, can you make that right? Austin, can you make line one right? Make sure you get her information. Sounds like a little on hell. Real sweetly. We get real excited about food. Anyone want to bring some in? I'm so hungry now. I'm starving. You guys are jerks. We just had a woman say that she'll make us homemade tortillas. I'm in. Well, if it's not right now...
You're breaking my heart. Yeah, but it's coming. I know. Please. M1. So chewy and warm and soft. M1 Schumann from San Marcos. Yes. Hey, how you doing? Good. Hey, a couple months ago, me and a friend were laughing so hard, I can't remember what it was about. And my stomach was hurting. I mean, it was just around chuckling, and my buddy farted. Right then and there. I couldn't even breathe. I started to panic because I didn't know what to do. Listen, I know, I know, listen, I know that that is, I know that's sophomore. But when a friend of ours is laughing and they do that, it's funny. It is. Like when you're already laughing and then something like that happens and then it's like no sound is even coming out. You're a goner. Yeah, you're a goner. Yeah. The mouth open wide but nothing going. You're a goner. This person might as well trip over something too. If I lost breath, like that would be the way to go. Oh, yeah. For sure. Laughing at a fart joke. That's right. It's probably how I will go. Yeah. Fart joke. 570-1949 is our number.
If you want to give us a call. What is the mom's posting on the date my single kid? What is this? Oh, you're going to love this. Oh, no. Oh, no. Does that mean I'm going to hate this? No, it's just kind of hilarious. What is it? There is a mom. who loves her son a lot. And she is the type of mom that chats with other moms, chats with other girls, is always trying to hook her son up with someone because he's a single guy. He's so good looking and he's such a great catch. So now this mom, we all know a mom like this, has created a website. How old is he? 31. Oh my gosh. She's 63. And she has created a website to date my single kid. Let's see. Let's check it out. Yeah. Let's see what dude looks like. She said, we aren't trying to start a scientific matchmaker service like eHarmony. We are doing what any mother would do. I know what Colby wants 100%. And apparently Colby, the 31-year-old graduate student from NYU, doesn't mind his mom in his love life. Apparently, according to her. Okay. Maybe I typed it in wrong. Me too.
Because it took me to some fab over 50. Yeah. What? She is fab, though. Is that the mom? Date my single kid? Yeah. It doesn't say, it just says date my single kid. Let me see. There's no exact website. Try Googling it. Okay. This is so, like, I have a picture of the mom and the son, too. You do? And it's just like, you can tell this mom is like, oh, my son is a catch. He is a catch? He's kind of cute. He's all right. Yeah, he's fine. He shouldn't have any problems. His mom, not a catch so much. You're on it, Mike. Last time I saw a mouth like that, I've been hooking it. That's the article that I have. It's the article from CNN. Yeah. It is that fab over 50. What the heck? Percentage of chance that it was his idea. 100%. I hope zero. Hey, Mom. Mom, I have an idea and you could help me out with this. What do you think? And Mom's like...
Here it is. Sure, I'll do it. You have to have a username. What is it? I found it. DateMySingleKids.com. Go to date. Oh, here. It's too long. Oh. I'll put it on my blog. It's Hoyle's House of Pants and Other Western Outfits and Wear dot org backslash henready dot html. Dot guv. Dot guv. Do you want to hear something even creepier? What? She set him up on at least 30 dates. Oh, my God. Before her site went live. He says some of the dates went well. Others lacked a spark. Dude, you went on 30 dates that your mom set you up on? Maybe you'd grow a pair. Yeah. That's weird to me. So weird. Did your mom ever set you up on a date? No. Really? No. Really? My mom has good taste. My mom did. I mean, there's nothing wrong with a couple of dates, but 30? Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. I'm baffled. You're going to think I'm nuts when I ask this, but really, there's girls that would hear a mom say, go out with my son, and the girl would go, okay. Absolutely. Oh, yeah. In like an office environment, especially, or some sort of work environment.
You get a new young girl that comes in to work. You develop a friendship with her, and you're like, you'd be perfect for my son. And the girl will go, okay, sure. Some of the girls. Other girls will go, no. This is how my parents met. Get out. A light bulb just went off in my head. Okay, I have to tell you the story. My mom was in a play with my dad's mom, my grandma. No way. And my dad's 10 years older than my mom. And and so my grandma now was saying to my mom, look, you would love my son. He's so cute. He's such a great catch. And she'd been saying this throughout all the rehearsals and everything. And finally, when the show came to debut, she said, look, my son never comes to one of my shows. And because I've been talking about you so much, he's coming. If he likes what he sees, he's going to stay, and he'll come and talk to you afterwards. Oh, my God. If he likes what he sees. This is the truth. This is the truth. And if he doesn't, he's out of here. Really? You can't take it personally. You know, he's like, whatever. He never comes to shows, and he's not taking my advice that you're so pretty. Hey, what if Anseth was like, hey, what about me? What do I think of him? But my mom was like that, too. My mom was like, okay, I...
could care less. She's had no problem with guys before. You know, she was just like, you know, she's so nice. Like, I don't, you know, I'll meet her son and see what she's talking about, whatever. And so my dad stayed. My mom said he came backstage and he had like an afro and bell bottoms and clogs on. Clogs. And my mom. Keith Richards is his name. My dad's Keith Richards. His real name is Keith Richards. And he put his hand out and he said, hi, Keith Richards. And my mom was 17, like five foot nine model actress. And he's like this 27 year old hippie stoner guy. It's like a guy from. A guy from Fast Times. Hey, Ron, what's his name? Ron Johnson. Ron Johnson, audio consultant. And they just, I mean, they hit it off and now they have four kids. Oh my gosh. They've been together forever. And they got hooked up by... By my grandma, my dad's mom. And the best part about that is like, that's win-win for everyone because how many people don't get along with their mother-in-laws? Yeah. So it's like, already...
There's a good connection. Women are getting along. She obviously likes her. Remember, dear, when we acted in that play together. Yeah, exactly. Isn't that funny? It's awesome. If he likes what he sees. For whatever reason, I would have thought in my head that there's no way that a woman would go for Meet My Son. Oh, dear, my mom set me up before. Really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. My mom set me up. I was coming home from college for my brothers. High school graduation. Yeah. And I was like, what do you think? She's like, oh, I got you a date. I'm like, date? I didn't ask for a date. I don't want to date. She's like, oh, this is really cute girl at church. And I'm like, oh, church girl. Yeah. One of the wildest girls. And so wait a minute. Now, I'm guessing that when she brought this idea up to this girl, did she show her a picture and say, this is my son? Okay. That happens. I can't tell you how many people, my, my grandson, my son, my nephew, this, that. And you always want to be like, well, everyone thinks that their son is like the catch. So it always comes with a little bit of like a, let me see that picture before I sign up for this. I would. I mean, if it were flipped and I worked with a guy, well, that would be weird. If it was flip dude and you worked with some dude and he's like, Hey, date my daughter.
That wouldn't happen. No way. That wouldn't happen. No dude would ever be like, hey, want to go out with my daughter? No. No, you creep. Well, I sat next to this couple on a plane one time and they were so nice and they did that whole bit. And then they were like, can we get your email address? And I was like, yeah, yeah, sure. I'm like, knowing this guy, he won't ever. He emailed me. Did he send a picture? No. Did they show you a picture? Yeah. They showed you a picture on the plane. Yeah. Was he good looking? Yeah. Too wide? No. Yeah. I'm on the taller side for a female, and he was too short for me. Wait, in the picture he did it? It was your parents, actually. Yeah, it was my mom and dad. And she looked down at me. He was. And I was just like, this is too weird. I met your parents on a plane. Like, he emailed me, and I emailed him back and was like, thanks. That would have been a cool story, though. It's a cool story. Jay, what were you going to say? I have an employee that I set up with, Maddie. Yeah? I saw it. You actually set them up. With your daughter? Yeah. You did it? She said to me, she said, Dad, she always thought Nick was as cute as could be. How do you make that right, Dad? And so she did. Many times she'd say, oh, I think he's so cute. So then he was single, she was single, and I said to him, I said, you know, Maddie thinks you're pretty cute. And that's all I said.
And I walked away. That's different, though, because she asked you to. Yeah, but he had the rocks to be like, all right. Yeah, he could have. But if your daughter says to you, I think so-and-so's cute, that's different than going to Nick and being like, hey, Nick. Yeah. You in the market? Yeah. You're a sharp kid. You're a sharp kid. I got a single... You know, if your daughter asks you, hey, Dad, I think so-and-so's pretty cute. I don't remember him, by the way. You don't remember Nick? Oh, come on. Tall kid. He's called the barkeep. He's a cute kid. Yeah, he's a sharp dude. The barkeep. Do you know him? Yeah, I met him at the Del Mar site. Somebody that works here? Oh, I thought you met back at the other station. No, no, no, back there, but we met him. He was back at the other station. He did all kinds of events for you. He got your cloaks and stuff. Yeah, he threw the pedals around that you walked on. He shined your scepters. Yeah, that guy, remember? He wrestled. He rolled up the red carpet when he barked. Gary, do you do your car? He was your piggyback guy. Remember him? No, it was a full-on in. There's four of them. He was a right front guy. Was he a throne carrier? Throne carrier, right front. He was a chariot driver. Strong kid, right? Strong kid. You'd recognize him from the top of his head. He never dropped me, right? Not one time. Oh, gosh.
A guy called me one time because my grandma hit his car, and my grandma told him all about me and gave him my phone number, and he called me. I went and met him, too, because she got his business card. He had a picture on it. Yeah. It was cute. Todd? No. He dinged up his Supra. Yeah, the Supra originally got dented that way. No, it was a real nice car. That's what I was in. Really? I know, it's awful. What are you thinking of right now, Mikey? High school. Yeah. High school. This is my high school. Blue Angels. Brand new episode of Urban Survivor coming up. You hear Whoopi Goldberg all loopy? Weird. You guys heard that audio? It's audio of Whoopi Goldberg out there where she's loopy. Well, she explains it, but it's weird.

We have a new episode of Urban Survivor. I'm Mikey Grylls. I've never been a member of the British Special Forces. I barely got out of high school with a GED, and I've got no experience except for telling jokes on the radio. I will try to survive in urban situations using nothing but the company's credit card, a car, a nice one at that, my wallet.
and whatever things I can find on the internet. You're listening to Urban Survival. This is Bear Grylls. I'm standing inside of a $50,000 Roman spa. Around me, gold bricks, various pieces of marble, and whatnot. It's one of the most lavish places I've ever been. How will I survive when I'm done getting this deep Swedish consolation inside the Roman spore. Well, today... Hello, yeah. That's a tough one, isn't it? Very nice. Today, I'm actually going to be going to a water park. I am now standing just inside the gates of a beautiful water park. And when I say water park,
I mean 955,000 gallons of pure, clean water. Si. I'm now venturing deep into... One of the chambers of a water park slide. I will now attempt to go down. Oh, my goodness. Spit me out at over 50. That was quite exuberant. I'm not sure if I survived. All I know is that, well, I must have survived. I'm speaking. Once.
Two chaps came to a water park like this, and before they knew it, they became intoxicated and had fun for over an hour and a half. Until next time, I'm the Urban Survivor. Oh, we need to go to a water park. Oh, so bad. I'm dying to go. Water park would be fun. That was refreshing. There they are. No, sometimes I get worried about all the pee-pee in the pool. Ew. Who cares? Just enough chlorine. It's just urine. Try not to think about it, right? It's a big deal. It's probably more in the ocean. Yeah, think about that. No, I don't want to think about that. Nah, it's diluted. It moves around a whole lot. It's an ocean out there. Let's go. Can we go as a show? No. Will you go? No. Why? You guys can go. I can't go either. To the water park? I want to. Let's all go. Let's all go. Let's all just go. Take our shirts off and everything. You can wear a shirt. Wear a rash guard. Wear a rash guard. Actually, that might be a good idea. Those guys are cool. You know, the guys at the water park and the rash guards? Yeah. Actually, they're cooler than the guys in the shirt. Yeah, you never wear the shirt. A lot of people are wearing them to keep the sun off of them. You don't think it'll look cool if I go out there in swim trunks in a button-down polo? What about your wetsuit?
Yeah, I'll just wear my wetsuit to the water park. That'd be good. How much to wear my wetsuit to the water park all day long and go on every ride? I love it. I will do it. A hundred bucks, I'll do it. A hundred bucks. A hundred bucks, I'll do it. He'll be, you'll be so hot. He'll be dying. It's like running around like, ee-oo, ee-oo, ee-oo. It's your legs moving. Consider it done. All right, so Whoopi Goldberg. She went to a charity event, came back, and this is real audio of Whoopi Goldberg yesterday on. The View. And welcome to a day of hot topics right here on The View. Confusion, confusion, confusion. You look all right, Whoopi. You're a little woozy. I'm jet-lagged. You jet-lagged, because you just came back from Vienna. I just came back from Vienna. Vienna. Vienna, yes, for Amphar. Yeah. Because, you know, today kicks off the international AIDS.
conference, and so people from all over the world were there, and it was an insanely huge party, and I just got back and... Did you party too much, Wolfie? Well, I may have partied too much, but you know, I have to fly drugged. Oh, that's right. So I'm still slightly drugged. And I'm sure somewhere in me I'm still partying. Oh, wow. Scary. A little tore up there, isn't she? Maybe one of the producers is like, you know what? Just sit another day out. Maybe we do best stuff. Maybe we throw on a best stuff. I know. You think of Barbara sitting at home after she's had surgery watching this like, really? They're just going to put her on? What's your problem? No, what's the problem? I'm on Quaywoods as well. I'm on Quaywoods. Whoopies acting like a weirdo. Big whoops. Whoop. Quaywoods? Quaywoods, yeah. No, you're on Quaywoods? Pococets? Yeah, that's enough. Pococets. Guava sets? That's the message she left on Whoopi's machine. You're on Quaywoods? You're on Pococet? Whitewoodin? Amblyin? Heroin? Take an Amblyin? Are you on Heroin? Heroin? Xandex? Are you serious? You really going to do this to me?
One of a wide studio audience. A wide. Okay, Sienna has new releases that are out today. Yes, albums out today. Rick Ross, Teflon Don. Rick Ross. Wait a minute, wait a minute. Wick Ross. Wick Ross. Teflon Don. Teflon Don. I have an announcement to make. So surprised by this. I have an announcement to make. What? I'm starting to be over autotune. Oh, thank God. It took years. I'm not over it completely. It took years. It did. It took years. It needs to be an upbeat, fun song in order for it to be good. I think otherwise it's like, oh, come on. There's a whole lot going on here. And LLB is all the way on. LLB likes everything happening. Too much. Oh, wow. Is it? There you go.
That's more like it. There you go. Sheryl Crow, 100 miles from Memphis. Sheryl Crow. Sheryl Crow. Oh, yes. Yes. Yes. Oh, I can't believe my wife doesn't like Sheryl Crow. I think she's a brilliant artist. Is this Citizen Copes? Yeah, it is. Is it? Uh-huh. She sounds good, though. All I want to do. Yeah, you can do it. Every day is a winding road. Sounds good to me. Are you ready for this? What do you got? Jonas Brothers, Jonas L.A. Is that Cheryl Crow? Jonas Brothers. Jonas Sisters. Jonas Sisters. I don't know that I'd ever heard them before this. I know. This is the only song I know. They have one song, Burning Up. I love it.
Is that weird? No. No. Burning up. Mike, you would like it. I'd say that's probably true, too. Yep, I would agree. Right on point. I think you may need to fight it. He's fighting it right now. What's it called? Burning up. Jonas Brothers. Oh, gosh. They have a few that are good. It's going to be your new ringtone. I bet I've heard this. I guarantee you have. Oh, God. Maybe I don't. Wait. Oh, yeah. I remember this. Wow. I'm so sorry, everyone. I know. Look at Woods. Like, who's leading who? Is Adam Lambert mentoring them or are they mentoring Adam Lambert? I just like the happy, fun music, all right? There's nothing wrong with that. That's right. Nothing wrong with it. It's like popcorn. It's like having a little candy at the, you know, you're walking through the grocery store aisle, you get a little candy. Here's something for the rest of the world.
Other than me. Big Head Todd and the Monsters Rock Steady. That sucks compared to their old stuff. Upbeat for them. It just doesn't compare to the classic Big Head Todd. It seriously doesn't. Big Head Todd's a good band. You'd like them. You sound like them. I just said. You're being a D. How do you know what I'm being? Because I know you. You would like them, Mike. How do you know that I don't do anything? Okay, I'll apologize for this one. But it's for all the parents that may want to buy this for the kids. Kids bop kids. Kids bop 18. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Kids love this stuff. Yeah, teach them how to rave. Do ecstasy. Lady Gaga songs. Great. Get them started early. Yeah, get them started real early. Get them a little candy necklace. Hey kids, let me show you about ketamine. Yeah, let me get you some glow sticks.
You show you how to buy tickets to a dance at a warehouse. I like it. In Indio. Indio. Oh, wow. Mark Kahn, Listening Booth, 1970. It's Kohn, isn't it? Mark Kohn. Well, maybe it's spelled different. Maybe he's spelled C-O-N-E, then. Maybe he's spelled C-O-N-E instead of C-O-H-N. Maybe he writes this song. Maybe he writes this song. This next artist, by the way. I asked, I interviewed face-to-face. I interviewed Tara Reid and asked her, what's in your CD player right now? And she said this next artist. Really? She said this next artist. I'd never heard of him before. Really? Oh, he's good. David Gray, A Moment Changes Everything.
One song that he sang, it's a really slow song, and it was really big. You guys probably know. Oh, it was gorgeous. You would absolutely love it. Is it This Year's Love? Yes. Yes. This year's love, better less. This year's love, better less. Yeah. I would like it? You would love it. 100% you would love it. Nice. Also, Toadie's Feeler. Read another singer? It's all there was. It's instrumental now? It's all it's true. I think you should sing every time. Okay, okay. That's great. And this last artist whose album's out today. I told Woods this morning, it doesn't matter how hot this guy is. I don't think I could date him because of his last name. Sounds like they're making fun of him when they say his name. His name is John Digweed. His album name is Structures. He's probably a pothead. Nice record, Digweed.
He's probably trying to be funny, like a digweed fan. He could be Brad Pitt, and I'd be like, sorry, digweed. Real good one, digweed. Let your voice be heard on the Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949. Yeah, back rubs are kind of a specialty of mine. On FM 94.9. Can we tell that or not? Oh, yeah. We can? Oh, yeah. We can tell it. Well, you need a little setup first. Yeah, I know. The setup is that we were talking one time about favorites, and Sienna was telling us about how... I'm my grandma's favorite. She's her grandma's favorite, and her grandma isn't shy about letting it be known. And one time, she gave Sienna a $100 bill.
And she was like, here, dear, you know, I'd like to give you this $100 bill. And Sienna was like, oh, Grandma, no, come on. That's so much, blah, blah, blah. And she, like, gives it to her. Sienna takes it. And Sienna's sister, Waverly, like, walks in. And she's like, oh, hi, Waverly. And she gives Waverly a dollar. Waverly was there the whole time sitting there like, really? You're going to give Sienna $100? I'm right here. And she looks at Waverly and goes. Oh, here, Waverly, something for you, too. Here's a dollar. It's one one-hundredth of what I gave to your sister. So yesterday, what did your grandma say? Yesterday, I'm on the phone with my grandma, and she had my mom in August, too, the hottest month for all of us, as we know. And she was telling me, oh, Sienna, you need to get some Shea lounges and, you know, lie on your Shea lounges by the pool. And I'm like, Grandma, I don't have any of those. yeah, we should get some soon, whatever. And she said, oh, well, what are you doing tomorrow? I'll take you. Let's go buy ice. So once he goes, once he goes, oh, and Waverly, here's an old bag with a turd. With a turd of mine. It's a Ziploc with a turd of mine from 1961.
Yes, I bought your sister, Shae's Lounge. It has an old turd from 1961. Enjoy. Don't spend it all in one place. It's vintage. It's a vintage turd. Oh, there's a flake of gold in it if you search. If you search. I realize it's not quite the same as Shae's Lounge, but enjoy. Relax. I'm dying. Oh, my gosh. I don't know who I feel the worst for. I love you, Grandma. I love you, Grandma. I know you wouldn't be giving your turds out to your kids. I don't know. All of us are very spoiled when it comes to my grandma. Maybe Waverly, but... That's right. Not Sienna or Avalon. Oh, well. Okay. Oh, my stomach hurts. So we did the new releases for albums. What else coming out today? What DVDs? On DVD, Repo Man. That's Jude Law, Forrest Whitaker, Liv Schreiber. Wasn't that one supposed to be good? You guys kept saying in the previews it looked good, and I was like, really? It looks like the worst thing ever. Repo Man? You're going to come take your organs back if you can't fight it. It looked pretty cool, didn't it? Yeah, it did. The Losers.
The losers. The losers. Woods had a girlfriend. No, no. Woods had a girlfriend one time that he broke up with her because she was dumb. She wrote him an email and she was mad at him and she called him a looser. You're a looser. And he was like, I'm not going to date a girl that calls me a looser. L-O-S-E-R. Looser. L-O-O-S-E-R. Looser. Looser. Oh my goodness. You're a looser. Am I? Am I the loser here? Am I the loser? Idiot. Also out, The Most Dangerous Man in America. It's a documentary. Yeah. Hello, boo. Cop Out is out in The Runaways. Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning. Oh, yeah. The Joan Jett movie. What were the reviews? Did that go right to DVD, too? Was there reviews on that? Was that bad? No. I don't remember hearing any reviews. Dakota Fanning should start acting like a kid instead of dressing like a hooah. That's her first adult role, isn't it? No, she's in another one where she was like a shifter or something like that. She was dressed like she looked like she was 25. I didn't talk about it yesterday, but I saw Inception over the weekend. Good movie. I didn't understand it. I think I'm going to go see it this afternoon. Dude. I'm going to take the wife to a movie today. During the day? Beautiful day? Yeah. I can't do anything with my eyes, so. You can see, though, right? Yeah, I can see. I can't do anything outside, though. Like, I can't surf. I can't swim. I can't do anything cool. If I could, I'd go with you guys because I'd see it again. I need to see it again. Okay.
And I'll tell you, if you're going to go see Inception, don't get frustrated. Oh, boy. Never mind. No, no, no. It's like Memento. Hang on, hang on, hang on. No, no. I'm already out. I'm already out. I'll get you back. I'll get you back. Hang on. Wait. Before I lose you completely. It's done purposefully. They'll bring you back. They just, they need to. It's like Memento. You've seen Memento. Yeah. It took me like 15 times to understand what went on in Memento. I still don't. Still don't get it. I don't get Memento. What? No, I don't get it. I own it. You can borrow it. I have it, too. I don't understand it. I saw it once. I didn't get it. Watch it again. I didn't have the patience for it. I was like, yeah, okay. You forget stuff. All right. Is that a movie about you? Yeah. Seriously. They used to call me Memento because I can't. I mean, seriously. I used to practically need to take a photograph and write down on it. That's great. This is your friend. Her name is Lauren. Sometimes she never calls you back. Yeah. She's on your radio program. I don't always pick up my phone. Do you? No. 5701949 is our number. But it is good. Inception is really good. I hear really good things. It's incredible. If you just go into it knowing I'm really going to pay attention to this and I'm really going to follow this.
The cool part about it is that there's so much eye candy. Like hot girls? No. Wow, never mind. Visual effects. Visual effects. I like girls. Greetings. The special effects are really wonderful. You'll like it, though. You will like that aspect of it. I'll see if the wife wants to go and take her to a movie real sweetly. Hillary, are you a movie person? Do you like movies? Are you? I go by myself. Yeah, me too. Well, before I had a kid. It's the only thing I would do alone, but I would do that. Oh, yeah. Love. Movies. What's your favorite? Oh, I don't know that I have one. It's hard to pick a favorite. Yeah. What's your favorite kind of movie? Are you into scary movies? Are you into dramas? No, I don't really love scary movies, although I loved... Blair Witch Project because I thought it was so creative and well done. But it was like your video. There's a trailer, by the way, for a scary movie in Inception. And if I see Inception, I'm going to miss the trailers because I ain't watching that again. Really? Oh, yeah. My wife. Oh, yeah. Is it the paranormal activity, the second one? No. If there's a scary movie that's well made, I will totally see it. I like thrillers. I love thrillers. Yeah. So. I like them all. I really do. Did you go see this movie, Inception?
Absolutely. I'm dying to see it. I've heard such good things about it. Yeah. Really, really good. What do you got coming up today? You know, I saved a bunch of requests from yesterday. So I grabbed Joy Division, Real Big Fish, New Band of Horses, Incubus, kind of a real mixed bag. Nice. Yeah. Very cool. All right. The lovely and talented Hillary is coming up next. We will come back tomorrow and we'll do the whole thing over again. So make sure you're with us. 6 a.m. The Mikey Show is out. Lincoln Financial Media Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. It's about the music.
