Thursday July 22, 2010
Mikey tells us about his prescription problems after his dad’s surgery. The Del Mar Race track is open once again, bringing with it the I-5 traffic and lady big hats. Comic Con is also under full geek sway as nerds from all over the nation converge on our fine city. Should action movies be headlined by tough dudes or butt-kicking chicks? Tree hugger Jay can build a tree house without putting a single nail in the tree. Mikey complains about angry parents at amusement parks until he realizes he might be one himself. LOB’s not the only female cast member who likes her chocolate dark. Woods’ list of top 50 earning athletes has some surprises at the top. Senor Beans calls in singing praises to “Yeff & Yare” and questions Woodsy about “chalk” collars! Sienna finds the voice of 26 year old gazillionaire dweeb CEO of Facebook hysterical. Someone should “poke” him. The Panel discusses Facebook’s staying power, the death of cd’s, and the existence of karma. Do most sequels to awesome movies suck? Mikey plays the funny new Mapple ad promoting the new ITool. Should a man use a woman’s razor and vice versa? Sienna reveals a huge secret of what she uses Todd’s razor for in the shower, yeah, the same one he uses on his face! To Mikey’s squirmy disbelief, Rebecca calls in to drop a hidden truth on Mikey about her uses for his own razor and this leads to funny toothbrush-sharing revelations. Don’t be eating breakfast like I was for what happens next. A M1 calls in with the story of a dude he worked with who shaved with a strange woman’s razor and ended up with a yeast infection on his face! Lauren recalls the hilarious true tale of a guy who rubbed a chick’s shower pumice stone (used on the bottom of her feet) on his face (for reasons that remain unclear, maybe he had some gnarly blackheads). What results is something like this: Stop the itching and the burning, use Tough Actin’ Tinactin, “Fungus Face”! The game of “shocking roulette” debuts, a contraption with four finger holes and four people try it with one bound to receive a jolt. All hell breaks loose in the studio! The game doesn’t go easy on poor LOB, The Kid “pulls out” in fear both times, and Jay lays down some good dirty jokes! Sarah Palin gives her opinion on her future son in law named after a pair of 501’s. Levi audio is next, and you can forget about whatever the punk is saying because all anyone can focus on is the harp music in the background. Harp jokes don’t run in this segment, they gallop! An irritated M1 calls in defending harps and the harpists that pluck them, but Mikey can’t help but go into a role playing session parody of “The Bachelorette” accompanied with harp music. At what age is a woman considered most attractive sees the harp return during a Woodsy voice impression roast! LOL is so blue-hair, Sienna found out, and Sabrina sass talks Mike and teaches us what the cool kids are abbreviating these days. How about this one: WISAGTGAWR? When Is Sabrina Actually Going To Give A Weather Report? The 5-second rule leads back to Jamie’s infamous photo of The Kid enjoying some cereal on the toilet. Dynamic dudes don’t do dishes, you know that, Mockey! Anyone for a dog food smoothie? Mikey ends the show with another fond Sean memory while Woods yawns and rolls his eyes.

BZT San Diego, a Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. It's The Mikey Show. Welcome to the program. We are live in the studio and feeling good about being here. It's real nice to be back. It is. Did a best of yesterday. I take medication to sleep. And if I do not... I'd allow enough hours to go by after I've taken said medication. It's bad if I'm behind the wheel of a car or really doing anything. And so my dad got surgery on Tuesday and it was taken so long to get everything done. And I was looking at my watch and I was going, what time could I feasibly be home, take the medication and be up in a safe amount of time?
And that time came and passed. And so I didn't get home until almost 9.30 on Tuesday. You were there a while. Oh, yeah. That's three and a half hours past when you usually shut it down. Yeah. It was rough because they gave my dad these meds. And this is not indicative of one particular place. It's almost like everywhere you go. It seems like there is not communication between one department and another department. That's such a nightmare. Yeah. And so I went down to fill the prescription and they said, in order for us to fill the prescription, we need either a verbal or fax from the doctor, who, by the way, is three floors up. You're kidding. And so I went upstairs and the lady said, well, the doctor called and left a message. left a message on their machine. They have a message machine in the pharmacy. And obviously they don't check it. I mean, why would you do that? Why would you check it? Why would you check a machine? Yeah, why? All it has on there is messages. What are you going to do with that anyway? And so this nurse was really nice and actually walked downstairs with me too.
Give them a verbal okay. I thought the okay was the actual prescription. Yeah, me too. You would think. That's what I thought the okay was. Why write out the prescription? Yeah, why not just call me? Just phone it in. Because if I need a verbal for it, what's the use? Woods. Oh, my gosh. Brilliant. I mean, come on. Duh. Light bulb. You don't need a written prescription then. Right. You just need the doctor. If, in fact, you need a doctor to call, you don't need it. Or maybe they want the accountability of both so that I don't get on the phone and go, hello, this is doctor. Because that's the way doctors talk. Hello, this is doctor so-and-so. They should be like, what's the password? Password is... Password today. Yeah. That's some sort of password. Horse races. This is ridiculous. Well, I went to get a prescription filled the other day and it took me about an hour because I never got my prescription card. And boy, I had to do some sleuthing.
To get to the bottom of that one. Did you get it figured out? Oh, I made 40 phone calls in the pharmacy for an hour. You got it figured out, though. It's a standard protocol. It's terrible, man. It's the worst. It's the worst. We think that's fair. I know. It's the worst. Well, we are live in the studio. We'd love to hear from M1s. M1 Nation, that's you. Mikey Show listeners, when you call the Mikey Show, you turn your radio down. Why do you turn the radio down? Because we work on an eight-second delay, and if you do not turn your radio down, Then we hear us in the background. And it's not good. Sounds terrible. So turn your radio down. Get to the point. We start listening to what we're saying in the background. Yeah. What we just said is terrible. It's like looking in a mirror with a mirror behind you. Yeah. So turn your radio down. Get to your point. And don't cuss. Those are the rules. Know the rules. That's what it is to be a part of M1 Nation.
And call us, 570-1949, anything you want. Lots of stuff going on. Quick introduction. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's Lauren. That's Sienna. And that's Jay. Lots of things going on. Yesterday was the beginning of the races. We weren't here. But opening day was yesterday with the hats. Traffic was here, though. Traffic was here, and it was ready to go. Yeah. Wanted the whole world to know. So brutal on the five. But, yeah, yesterday was the races. And any guesses on how many people you think attended opening day? Fifteen. Oh, yeah. Forty. Thousand. Thousand. Close. I will take a guess. Twenty-five thousand. Last year, there were 44,907. Do you think there was more or less this year? Less. Way less. More. There was more? Yeah. Even with the bad weather, there was 45,309 people at opening day for the races. It's probably more enjoyable with the way the weather was yesterday. I know. It's not as hot. I've been at the blazing hot opening days. Just so you know, the average daily track attendance is about 17,000. So on opening day, that just shows you how many more people go opening day. Yeah.
And the admission's more expensive, too, on opening day. It's very glamorous. I saw a lot of, Jamie and I were out running errands yesterday in Solana Beach. A lot of little girls running around with the hats on. A lot of hats. Not just little girls. Yes, there are some older ladies that enjoy some Chardonnay. Have you seen the cover of the UT? Oh. Oh, my gosh. That's the best they can do on that one, pal. If you can get near a Union Tribune, the cover picture is phenomenal. It is. It's like the Golden Girls dressed up for the races. Oh, those hats. I love it. Jamie has already informed me that we are going next year, and she is wearing a hat. Oh, of course. Glamorous, man. You get glamorous, you wear the hat. Who do I wear? A suit? Yeah. Didn't see any dudes in a suit yesterday that were with these ladies. They weren't? No. Kind of looked like turds. I went one year and I didn't wear a hat. What? I'm pretty sure there were people pointing fingers and laughing. Look at her. What is this girl doing? I wore a flower. And I was like, I'm going to set a new trend. Oh, boy. A flower. Fake one. A wheatgrass stalk. A wheatgrass. Behind her ear. Do you think that... Do you think that...
the hat industry survives basically on opening day because, I mean... I know. Kentucky Derby. Yeah, Kentucky Derby. The hat industry must survive on the race industry because there's not really a lot of call for big, giant blossom hats. Here's the hat guy for 365 to four days a year. Yeah. Feet up, ready to go. Watch, yeah. Flipping the channels. The hat guy. And then somewhere around May 1st, he's like, holy... Fax machine goes off. I need backup over here. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, look at that picture on the cover of the UT. It'll make you chuckle. Yeah, you'll chuckle. I did. Those were not the girls that I saw yesterday. Just FYI. There's so many people you can take a picture of. That's what made the cover. Hey, man. Back in the 30s, it was like big pomp and circumstance, man. They used to show, I watch a lot of baseball history and stuff, and they would have, guys would be sitting at the ball game, suit, tie, fedora, women next to them with their big hats. I'm like, man, can you imagine? Class. Yeah, class. No doubt, but what was that like in August? Well, go into the ball game. Put your suit and tie on, forget it. Oh, that sounds miserable to me. I mean, it's an awesome thought. Great thought. No doubt about it. It's badass looking. It's cool. It looks awesome.
Oh, my gosh, the heat. I bet it was stinky. Oh, I bet it was stinky because there was no air conditioning back then. I don't even think they had deodorant back then. Oh, man. And if they did, it wasn't very strong. No. It wasn't strong enough for a man made for a woman. No, absolutely not. Brought to you by Paul Molliv. Yeah, Paul Molliv was probably an issue. Gross. But today's a big day because today begins Comic Con. Greetings. Greetings. Everyone from out of town. And if anybody's going there right now, if you're on your way to Comic-Con now, you're listening, you're there, you're going, whatever, I want to talk to you and see what you're excited about seeing at Comic-Con and the whole deal. Lauren O'Brien worked Comic-Con one year. I was just thinking. I looked at the clock and I thought, okay, when I worked at Comic-Con, I was standing in line for the shuttle at this time. Really? Waiting to get shuttled over there. This early? Mm-hmm. What time does that sucker open? I don't think it opens until 8 or 9, but you got to get there. You got to get there. I was working there, so I couldn't get in the side door entrance. Question. Yeah. Are they tailgating down there? No, they're not, Woodsy. They're not tailgating. They're just not. No, you don't understand. People take days off work. Like, Jesse was on before us. I mean, this is a big deal. Oh, is that why Jesse wasn't our overnight DJ? He's going every single day. My brother's one of the guys that goes every single day that Comic-Con is here. How many days is it? All day.
It's Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. And it kicked off last night. Last night was the premiere where all the hardcore Comic Con goers get in line to get exclusive shirts and stuff like that. Oh, wow. Shirts that you can't get at other times? I mean, I'm sure they're there, but they want to make sure that they get them. And they're limited. Before they're gone, yeah. So the nerdery opens at what, about 8.39 today? That'll be fun. When I worked there two years ago, and there was a guy outside picketing. And he was like, fair rights for vampires. Fair rights for vampires. Oh, wow. And it turned out it was a stunt for HBO for True Blood. It was before True Blood. But he was getting people to sign a petition. I thought he was nuts. Everyone did. To say that vampires have rights too. And he's like, I'm a vampire. Vampires are among us. And then he pulled me aside. He's like, yeah, yeah, I work for HBO. It's a bit. It's a bit. But some of the celebrities scheduled to appear on panels today. Angelina Jolie. Really? Yeah. Now, everyone's like, is she really going to come? Is she really going to come because of her new movie, Salt? Yeah. But she's scheduled, so we'll see. Jeff Bridges, the True Blood actor, Charlene Harris, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Cera. Really? Lots of celebrities. Yeah, that's just today. Oh, my gosh. That's a big to-do. Yeah. This is Angelina Jolie talking about this movie, Salt, and how it first even came up. Amy Pascal.
Talked to me about being in... Oh, Amy. Okay, good. Amy. Oh, Amy. One of the Bond films. And I said, I want to be Bond. I don't want to be anybody else. A few months later, she called me and she said, I think I found our Bond. But we didn't focus on being a girl. We didn't make it a girl movie. We just wanted to make a really, really great spy thriller. Angelina, you can't be Bond. No, James Bond is a man. And how do you guys feel about... Chicks playing like the action hero main role. I can't. You know what? You know how I say I don't like, I can't get into a rock band with a girl lead singer because I feel like there's a whole sort of macho thing that goes along, you know? Now, I can tell you this, though. I sure did love me some Kill Bill. And I sure did love. Yeah, you did. I sure did love watching Uma Thurman. But she was one of the main characters. I mean, she was probably the most prominent. But all the prominent ones, I mean, all of the prominent ones were chicks. And they were pretty awesome. You know, they were tough. And so there was something about, I don't know. I just like, on the big screen, I like guns and explosions and stuff. And so for whatever reason, I don't get like, if I'm at a rock concert and there's a chick on stage, I'm kind of.
rolling my eyes and I'm kind of going, if she's trying to be tough because I'm not buying it. But anybody can be tough with a bazooka. That's kind of the thing. You saw the preview. It looks okay. Yeah, and she does all her own stunts and I don't want to take that away from her but I'm just kind of like... You want to see a guy doing it. Yeah, and I wouldn't really feel like that like... Let's do this. What's that feeling? I don't know. I don't know. Whatever it is. Pumped up. Pumped up? Yeah. You don't really get that pumped up if it's a girl. Trying to talk tough and be all, what are you looking at? I mean, really, Angelina, you're going to say, I don't want to be any other character. I want to be James Bond. I just realized. If they ever did that, I'd never see a movie again. Nobody else would either. I just realized why I think I'm okay with the chicks in the action movies. Why? Boobs? No. I talked about it the other day. I said that there's something interesting to me about the underbelly of society that we don't know about. And so it's believable to me that they would train women to be assassins. Yeah. Because they're unsuspecting. And that to me is bad. That's cool. That is cool the way you put that.
One movie with Catherine Zeta-Jones and she was like going under the lasers and stuff like that. With Sean Connery. Yeah. That movie, Entrapment. Entrapment. It was badass. She was believable. It's a badass movie. To think that the government did it. Oh, I got the perfect one for you. Have you guys ever seen La Femme Nikita? The original? Never saw it. Don't big time me. Bad. She's bad. Yeah, so maybe it would be okay. Maybe Salt would be okay. I think I was just thinking of, like, I never even actually saw the movie, but I was that for Halloween, the Lara Croft Tomb Raider. Yeah. And I know it's based on a video game and stuff, but I was kind of like, really? I'll tell you. Indiana Jones, the female version. Yeah. If I could suggest a movie to M1s, I would suggest that La Femme Nikita. It's a French movie, but the dude that makes it is... Bad, man. This guy makes the greatest action films. What's his name? Luc Besson. Luc Besson. Luc Besson. L-U-C. Oh, he's bad, dude. And he found this chick. He found this chick that was so grimy and so dirty. And she's a, she's just, she's had this really awful, dysfunctional life and gets arrested. And she's going to go away for the rest of her life because she kills somebody. So the government, the French government takes her and they say, you don't have to go away forever.
But you do have to, to society and to your family, you have to die. And everybody has to believe you're dead. And we're going to send you to our version of the CIA. And we're going to break you down. And then we're going to rebuild you to be an assassin for the French government. And she takes it because if she doesn't, she's going to go to prison for the rest of her life. But she's a rebel. And she's not easy to train, like 24 years old. No, no. How old is the movie? Oh, I don't know. 70s, right? It's older. You know, I mean, it's... Yeah, it's older. It didn't come out. Subtitled up real good? Subtitled up. I'm telling you, though, Woods. Must miss. No, dude. I'm telling you, it's good. And the dude takes her, and one of the first times he gets her, she's standing in front of him, and he goes, we're going to begin our training. When I tell you to, I want you to slap me. And she's, bam! I mean, she slaps him so hard, like spit flies out of her mouth. And they do the take where she actually slaps him. She slaps the hell out of him. Yeah. Wow. Before he's done telling her, he goes, I want you to slap me. I bet she was like, we need to redo that thing. Yeah. 17 times. Let's redo. I don't know why he suddenly became Iranian, but he said, let's redo. Let's redo the scene. Oh, let's redo the scene. Great. All of these people are calling up that are on their way to Comic-Con right now. The con. The con. M1 Whoopi.
From Bird Rock. Hi, Woobie. Good morning, honey. How you doing? I'm fine. Actually, I'm going. I have a ticket for tomorrow, so I'm going tomorrow. And I'm so excited. This is my first time going. Nice. And I'm not really into, like, all the comic stuff. I will not be in costume, although there have been some costumes suggested for me. So I just want to reiterate to Space Boy, no, I will not put. paint on and go as Mystique. Oh my gosh, that would be awesome! How about Catwoman, Wolves? Yeah. Here's the thing with costumes like that. They make those costumes for no-boob women. I'm just going to put it out there. Halle Berry? I thought Halle Berry played Catwoman. She's got boobs. She's not a double D. I've got... I've got nipples, Greg. Could you milk me? Yeah. But I'm going because this Friday they have panels for Spartacus Blood and Sand, which is a delicious show on Starz, and the True Blood panel. Yeah. Charlene Harris is the author of the Sookie Stackhouse novels. So she's going to be there a couple of days, but she's also going to be on the panel. I don't know what any of that means. Sookie Stackhouse is the main girl in True Blood.
Of course, Sticky Stackhouse. All right, thank you. Hey, Whoopi, thank you. I appreciate it. You know, we need some more vampire stuff. Oh, my gosh. Definitely, we're not getting inundated with it enough. I know. I'll tell you what, though. It's like a new show. That was like two years ago when they were trying to promote that. And if I saw that outside Comic-Con now, I'd be like, oh, yeah, it's a bit. But then, yeah, I was like, whoa, this guy's a weirdo. Lauren has said enough things about enough things that I think she likes vampires. I love vampires. 100%. Mm-hmm. She's into it. Blah. Blah, blah. So today's Thursday. Those are panels and stuff like that. Now, panels always have the people from the, you know, from the show. Movies and, yeah. Dexter. Oh, I love it. Love Dexter. Love it. Yeah, tonight, 6 o'clock. That's awesome. Ballroom 20, if you want to meet any of the Dexter folks. Trying to get tickets now. Tron is one of the really big ones that people are freaking out about. And I know that that one's today. That's with Jeff Bridges. 1145. Mm-hmm. Hall H. Hall H. Hall H. Meet you there. So those are the big ones that I see. I'm looking at the other ones and- No idea. Don't know what they are. I know. Some of them haven't even come out yet. Some of them are new movies and stuff like that. Ooh, my wife would be interested in the Big Bang Theory tomorrow. She's really into that TV show. A lot of people are.
Me, myself? Not so much. Never even heard of it. It's like a big number one show on TV. It is? Yeah. Sounds like an adult film. I know it. I know it. Let's see. M1 Adoyle from downtown. You there? I am. Adoyle rules. Adoyle rules. Are you there, bro? Adoyle rules. I need money. What are you doing? I need lunch money, and I need my iPad fixed. All right. Go down to Comic-Con. Somebody will know how to fix it. In a heartbeat. Are you kidding me? And I need tickets. That's right. That's right. I'm picking somebody. Give me your tickets. I want to go to the con. Coming up here in just a minute, we're going to have the list of the 50 highest earning athletes. Like I said, the highest earning athlete might just surprise you. Let's see. It may not, but it might. It might.
It might. What did I... Oh, here we go. Right in front of my face. We have ants, by the way. Did I tell you guys that? In here? No, not here. Oh, at the crib? Oh, yeah. My crib. The worst. Oh, boy. Started with my office. Then it went to our upstairs bathroom. Now it's in the kitchen. It's water. It's water. Water draws ants to you. Yeah, if you have ants, it's a water... If you didn't have water in your home... Probably wouldn't have the ant problem. Same with mice and stuff, too. They're all looking for water right now. And when it gets hot. Yeah. During the wintertime, they have a little ant-y larva. Yeah. In the summertime, when it gets hot, they all go. Have you ever taken like a magnifying glass and watched an ant at work? Yeah. I have. I think every child, every child in America has probably done that at one time. It's so cool. Oh, yeah. They can carry, like, several times their body weight. Would you don't think it's kind of cool what ants do? I like to burn them with a magnifying glass. What kid didn't do that? When you were a kid, you didn't do the magnifying thing when you figured it out? Heck no. When you first figured it out? Yeah, that's the greatest. When you first figured that out, it's like... It doesn't do anymore. Jasper just did it for the first time in Texas. He's like, Dad, watch this. Oh, my gosh. He's like, oh, don't do that. He thought he invented it. He thought he invented it. Did I show him how to burn a leaf with a magnifying glass? Of course you did. Uh-oh.
Careful with that. Is Jasper okay? Yeah, he's okay. You know, it's just he's walking around with his arm held to his side. He's not using it at all. It's kind of sad. What happened? Jay's seven-year-old. He fell out of his tree house? Yeah, we got back. I was out front watching the dog, and all of a sudden I hear this blood-curdling scream. And, you know, he always, when he falls, you know, you can hear him, but he's usually not that hurt. I could tell from the screen that he was not in good shape. Something's gone. You know who that doesn't happen to? The kid who plays in the fort. So, yeah, he fell about three to four feet from his little fort deck, and he straight-armed it. Oh! And I was like, do not straight-arm it. Don't straight-arm it. Yeah, don't straight-arm it. What do you do? You bend it. You bend. Try to fall like you're doing a push shoulder. Try to absorb the shot. Bend your arms. Good thing it was more into mud and dirt instead of rock. Gosh. We took him in. X-rays came back. The doctor says it could still be broken. They just can't see it. Who knows? Poor kid. Poor little guy. Kids, man. FYI, Jay built the treehouse. Of course. And by built the treehouse, I mean he used no nails. Which is so crazy. No nails.
To invade that tree. Yeah. It's all perfectly wedged in there. It perches. Because you didn't want to hurt the tree. Yeah. Right. I mean, you know, nails the tree. He hugged it when he was done making it. He actually hugged. Made love to it. It's amazing. Sweet, sweet, passionate love to the tree. Yeah. He's ashamed to, he's afraid to admit, but he, he kissed the tree. Yeah. I've seen him do it a few times. I come out here and rough-talked him and run him off. You rough-talked the tree. I did. Rough-talked him. The tree likes it. M1 Gabe from San Diego, you there? Yeah. What do I do about my ants? Baby powder. Baby powder, really? Interesting. Baby powder. You sprinkle it around? Got an idea. On the walls, wherever they're coming in, wherever they're hanging out, you sprinkle baby powder all around and they'll absolutely vanish. It's good if you have kids. Yeah. I'll tell you what to do. Call an exterminator. No. That's what we're doing. That's what we're doing. See, Rebecca last year got into this whole, I have to find an organic. Look at L.O.V. just gave me the, uh-huh. I know. That's right. An organic what? An organic exterminator. I know. There is such a thing. Sienna just put her head back like, seriously? That's what I did. I went, seriously?
I still did it when it didn't work and we had to have like the regular people come out and do it. Why don't you just spray from yourself? You get that little pump sprayer and go around and mix it up. I'll tell you the reason. Honestly, I would. I would. I would. The only reason that I don't do that is I feel like with just like with everything. I'm like. I bet you I don't know what I'm doing. You're going to mess it up. And I mess it up. I hurt someone. Right, right. Hurt myself, hurt my kids or my wife because I don't know what I'm doing. I think I do. But I'm all woman. You know what I mean? I have to say to myself, I have to be man enough to say to myself, I can't do this job. Yeah. I say that a lot in my house. A lot. Well, I have to. I don't know what I'm doing. I know my limitations. I'm not afraid to admit it. It's better than hurting someone. Let me tell you guys. It's too simple. You get a spray thing, you put a little bit in, mix two gallons of water, and then you walk around with a spray. I don't know, Jay. I'm with Mike. If he feels like he doesn't know what he's doing.
Probably doesn't. I'll come show you. You know who else? You can spend so much on an exterminator. You know who else does it? Good. The exterminator. Yeah. It's like, hey, man, I can defend myself in court if I wanted to. I'm allowed that I have that right. But I can go to law school. I'm going to hire an attorney. You can get it handled for $40. You're going to spend. 300 probably. Done. No way. Money well spent. Yeah, by the end of the day, my kid's eating graham crackers covered in the poison I just sprayed. Jay, I'm with you. You should try. Zero percent. Hey, Mikey, I've got a sprayer. I'll come over. No. I'll show you how to do it. You don't know what you're doing. Oh, really? You're not a professional. I've been doing it for... 40 years. Listen, physically, I could do it. I don't know what I'm doing. Why don't you try the baby powder first? I would trust Jay more. Maybe call an exterminator. Maybe we get an exterminator come in and kill the ants like last year. How about baby powder? You put baby powder. Baby powder all over your house. How come this lasagna tastes like baby powder? Oh, stop. There's little footprints everywhere. Baby powder footprints. Great. Let's see. Oh, speaking of kids.
Went to Legoland yesterday. Nice. Wow. Took all the kids to Legoland. Proud of you. Did you build a giant house of cards? No. No. I didn't. Oh, remind me. When we go into break, remind me to talk to me about the house of cards story because I talked to the girl that I built a house of cards for. But anyway. Built a new scepter. Went to Legoland yesterday, took all the kids, and while we were there, I made this observation. I said, oh, man, isn't the... angry parent at what is supposed to be a happy place aren't they the best you know like here you are at a place where the whole objective is to bring your children to have a great time great time and you see the melissa stop it sit down sit down put that down you know and you see and you're like don't we have fun aren't you supposed to have fun and so i have this thought approximately five minutes later In my head, I'm looking at Jake and I'm like, what are you doing? And the only reason I didn't flip out is because five minutes earlier I was going,
Look at you. Look at you, you D. Right. And so the only reason I didn't kind of flip was because I had just been judging the flipping parents, you know? It's kind of hard. I mean, I do feel for the angry parent, though, because it's overwhelming sometimes. The crowds, the lines, your kids are out of control. You're just like, give me home, give me home, give me home. You know what this woman was so angry about? She was trying to take a picture of her kids. She wouldn't sit still? And they wouldn't sit still and everything. And I'm like. They're so excited. Like, really? And are you going to look at this picture later? And what are you going to remember about this photo later? You were furious when you tried to kill him. So Jake was walking out of a ride, you know, through the little pathway. And there's little posts. that have chains connecting the posts, and he's having a good time touching them. Well, he's slowing our progress. And I'm like, the people behind me, because I believe anger is hurt, sadness, and fear, the people behind me are going to think, what's your problem with your kid that won't stop touching? And I'm like, so now I'm angry because I'm fearful that people are judging me. And I go, come on, Bob, come on. And he thinks it's funny now. So I turn to Rebecca, and I say to Rebecca kind of low, I go, what's the matter with him? Why is he behaving this way?
And she says calmly, he's three. I say that all the time. Mike, he's excited. Yeah, he's having a great time. Yeah. Honey, it's called fun. Maybe you try it. Maybe you try it. Maybe you give it. You know what he's doing? Maybe you give that a shot. I don't know. Maybe you have a fun time too. You sit on the little chain and you swing on it. My folks were the best. My dad was like a bigger kid than we were. Really? Oh, when we were younger, he never. But the older you get, the bigger. that he could get on vacation. Yeah. You know, you just think of a vacation as supposed to be fun, yet you have so many memories of your own parents. I swear, knock it off! Knock it off! Yep. Like, okay, great. It's a real fun vacation. You know what, Florida's awesome. Yeah, this is a blast. This is what I imagined it. My dad was the big kid, too. Yeah. That's how my mom is. That's how I'll be for a while. Oh, see, when they do stuff that's making you nuts, it's like, what... What do you do? Stop. Yeah. Please. You can tell them to stop. We're trying to have fun. We're trying to have fun. You can tell them they don't do it. They don't do it. Yeah, but I guess you weigh in your head, like, is that really going to hurt? Am I just being annoyed because I'm being annoyed? Or is that, like, a habit I want to tell them to stop doing? Yeah, you want to teach them. You don't want to hold a line full of people up. But, you know, what you have to realize is they do speak English. Yes. Okay, children, they do speak English.
But what they don't have that we have is the ability to measure whether or not what they're doing is appropriate. They don't care. There's no appropriate in a child's mind. It's like, I don't care what people think of me. I don't even get the concept of people thinking something of me. But couldn't you say, you could do one of two things in that situation. You could point out to the kid, hey, look. Everybody has to go slower now because you're going slower. We do. Or couldn't you also say to the people, you can go ahead and let people pass by you? That's a good idea. We did do that at one point. We did do that. Because I know sometimes I'm walking down the steps to go to the beach or something, and a parent will let their kid, they're going to take every single step on their own because the kid wants to do it. You know what it is, though? Armchair quarterback. Yeah. At one point, you're going to have a child. This is what people told me. And I went, oh, really? People would say, you don't have kids. And I would go, really? I go, what do you know? It's because you have kids. I don't know. I've never been to the moon either, but I know something. This used to be, you know, me. Yeah. And I kids and you find yourself in circumstances where in the moment, right in the moment, you lose your mind. Right. You lose your mind. Yep. Your mind goes fluttering out of your head. Yesterday.
Sienna did something that I almost did at Legoland. I saw cocoa. Dark chocolate. Oh, that disgusting imitation chocolate. Yes. Imitation. 72% cocoa. It tastes like dirt. Delicious. It tastes like dirt. Oh, stop it. It does. It tastes like chocolate void of sugar that grew from a tree. Yeah. Yeah, that's what it is. That's what it is. Right. Imagine if an almond had a very vague... flavor of chocolate in it. That's what this stuff, the L.O.B. You know what Hershey's did with it? They went, why don't we add eight pounds of sugar and it'll taste good. Yeah, maybe we add some flavor to it. You guys would have been really proud of me or L.O.B. and Jay would have been.
I was at CVS and I was like, I need chocolate like right now. And I was like, yeah, I'm not going to get like the Three Musketeers, what I really want. And I'm going to look for the 72% Coca-Cola dark chocolate that Lauren's always talking about. So I'm looking and I'm like, oh, this isn't 72%. Wait, this is 80. Is that better? Is that worse? Like, I don't know. Found 72, bought it, loved it. Then my mom told me, you know, that has a lot of caffeine in it, right? And I was like, darn it. Yeah, it does. It does. Try to be good. And most people don't know that. Nope. Yeah. It's got a whole bunch of caffeine. It's like coffee. Is it? Yeah, it really is. It'll get you jacked. I have some before bed. You do? See, those people drive me nuts that can drink coffee. I can't drink coffee before bed. I can drink a giant Coca-Cola and go right to sleep. I'm so high. Well, last night was an amazing, amazing comeback and win for your San Diego Padres. They were down two runs in the ninth with one out to the Atlanta Braves who are leading the East. And they had their closer in to shut it down. Scott Hairston comes up, hits a bomb. So now it's 4-3. I think Torrey Alba hit a double. So they tie it in the ninth. So I get home. We had a little meeting last night. We got back. And they're in the 12th inning. And they called their last bench player up to pinch hit with a runner on second base. Cut one, Mike. This is Nick Hundley. Line drive left field. That's in the corner fair. Denorfia scores. Here comes the third.
Flying around is Salazar, and he's going to come in to score, and it's a 6-4 Padre lead. I got to hear that crack. The cracking of the map. It was a shot. Line drive. Genorfia scores. Here comes. Flying around is Salazar, and he's going to come in to score, and it's a... Six to four, Padre Lee. In Dick Enberg's defense, he's like 80 years old. It was late in Atlanta. It was like 11.45 in Atlanta when it ended. You know, Heath Bell, closer for the Padres, came on the Mikey Show and said, we're the kind of mentality on this team now that if we're down by a couple of runs in the ninth, we're the kind of mentality that says we got them right where we want them. Yeah, exactly. That's incredible. Isn't that awesome? It's great. Another interesting Heath Bell fact. One of our listeners went to the game. Last week, I met Heath Bell before the game, got an autograph, asked Heath Bell. So are you a fan of the Mikey Show? You know what Heath Bell said? What? You know that. Isn't that rad? Love it. Isn't that rad? It's the best, man. Isn't that great? So I got a little Facebook message about that last night. Made me grin. San Diego native Steven Strasburg pitched again. We haven't talked much about Strasburg lately. He's filthy, man. He is still filthy. He won his fifth game last night.
they're going to limit his innings for the rest of the year. We're not going to hear or see much of him. He's going to make probably, I'd say, four more starts, and then he's probably shut down for the year just to kind of preserve his arm. They're in last place. They're not going anywhere. They want to get him some innings and get him some experience, but here he is on his preparation cut, too. You've got to trust your instincts out there. I've been playing this game my whole life, and I've really got to go out there and pitch to them. You know, the way I know I should and the way I know I can. And I just can't second guess myself. You know, it is the same game out here, just a little bit faster. I wonder if they do a cliche course. My brother actually said that one time. I wonder if they do it. Yeah. If they say, listen, we just want to teach you how to answer every question that you get in cliches. What's the best? You know, it's hysterical. Yeah. My brother has a whole bit on that, too. I do, too. And so last night or yesterday also, they released the list of the highest earning athletes. I was surprised because this guy had a rough year last year. But Tiger Woods was the number one highest earning athlete. Last year, let's see, he lost, I think he lost $9 million. He's down $9 million from last year, but the guy still made $30 million. Oh, wow. Lost $9 million. He's still number one. Still number one. Crazy. Phil Mickelson was number two. Floyd Mayweather, three. LeBron, four. Wait, wait, wait. So let me ask. Yeah. I'm going to.
Guess that this is all just endorsement, though, right? Endorsement and salary. I'm shocked. Why? Because, I don't know, you just don't think of golf and boxing to be more watched and sensational than basketball. LeBron, you know? Yeah, LeBron was fourth, A-Rod was fifth, Jeter was eighth, Kobe seven, Shaq six. If you're 50th on that list, you're making a ton of dollars. You're still looking really good. There's some stuff happening in college football right now that's not very good. I know. That's all I'm hearing. Every time I log on to CNNSI, ESPN, SportingNews.com, all I see is a negative story about college football. Literally. If you look at the top stories, it's all about somebody did this. They got drunk. They got in a fight. They wrecked their car. They got arrested. They took money from an agent. So yesterday was the SEC's media day.
Nick Saban is the coach of Alabama, and they were talking to him about, you know, what's going on? Like, what's the state of college football right now? And one of his players, Marcel Darius, he allegedly took $100,000, was at a party, at an agent's deal in South Beach. Does anything good ever happen in South Beach? No, at an agent's party when you're a college football player. Cut through, you had to answer some questions. Our compliance people are looking into it in conjunction with the NCAA. And we're not really going to make any comments, nor do we have any information that he did anything wrong or he didn't do anything wrong. It's not a good situation. I mean, it was a bad situation at Southern Cal for Reggie Bush, and it's a bad situation, you know, all the way around. And I think to assume that people are going to do the right things in this circumstance without some guidelines is not going to work. Yeah, and he actually compared agents to pimps. That's what he said in his press conference yesterday. He said these agents are like pimps. Taking advantage. Taking advantage of the young college athlete that didn't have a lot of money growing up and kind of manipulating them into doing things and taking money. And, you know, man, it's, in my opinion, yeah, there's some slimy agents out there, but these kids got to know what they can and can't do. Yeah.
You know who doesn't get in trouble? The guy that doesn't take money. I mean, it's happened so often in college football that to say that you didn't know you were going to get in trouble is ridiculous. And I didn't know if you saw this story, but USC actually gave back Reggie Bush's Heisman trophy. There's two Heisman trophies made for every winner, one for the school, one for the player. And so USC gave Bush's trophy back to the Heisman committee. They still have OJs. They kept OJs but gave Reggie Bush's back. Wow. It's insane. Wow. Did Reggie Bush do something worse than OJ? I know. It's hysterical. Well, it specifically deals with the integrity of the game. And of the university, per se. Yeah, that makes sense. Because I was asking myself why. But still, if you're going to give a Heisman back, maybe you throw OJ's back. Unbelievable. That's what's on sports. Let's see. Okay, here's what we got. Man, what a full show today. Panels coming up. And there's a lady that was just released from the same jail that Lindsay's in. She talked about what happens when Lindsay has to leave herself. So play the audio of that. We'll do it next.

Going to be hearing a new Mapple product here on the Mikey Show, iTool. For you ladies that are hit on while you're at the bars down at PB, it kind of bugs you and just want to have something to help you out with that, we'll do that. It's probably happening a lot to the ladies this summer. That's right. Sure it is. Oh, yeah. So, Lindsay Lohan's in jail. She got sentenced to 90 days and will probably do about six of them. They're saying that she will likely be released on August. First or second? That is ridiculous. Yeah. August first or second? It's like next week. That's what the L.A. Sheriff's official said on Tuesday. I wonder how. That's two weeks. That's ridiculous. Of her 90 days. Is it money? I don't know. Is it a money issue? I have no idea. I mean, how do you actually get it done? Squeaky wheel, maybe? She's still going to have to complete the 90-day rehab stint when she's released, but apparently there's already been some tears, you know, while she's been there. She'll do 90 days of rehab standing on her head. That's easy. Yeah. Well, that's vacation. Now, will she have to do the full 90 or will they do the same thing? I think the rehab one is day for day. Now, listen, there is there like in jail. There are some jails because they're so overcrowded. What they'll do with nonviolent offenders is they give them time for credit serve. Like my deal, what I had to do, I got 60 days in jail and I was supposed to do 60 days in jail. But the jails were so crowded. They gave me three for one.
So for every day I served, I got three days credit, which is why mine went to 20, which is why I didn't move to Canada. Really? Because I was like, I'm moving. I'm not doing 60 days. That'd be tough. It'd be very tough. And why did you get three days credit? Just for being nonviolent? For being a nonviolent, you know, nonviolent offender. Good behavior. Yeah, because we had a good behavior. But no, three for one credit. And she may be getting some of that credit because, let's be honest, the jails are extremely overpopulated. more befitting of being in that cell yeah there probably is speaking of non-violent inmates and overcrowded jails your yorkie senior beans is on the phone oh boy he's non-violent yeah senior beans as far as you know as far as i know hi how you doing buddy i'm doing good how you doing papi i'm good just working I have a question for you. Okay. I was listening to my show. Okay. Your favorite show. Good. It's my favorite show. That's right. Until, of course, Yef and Yeh come back on the air. Yef and Yeh. It's true. You know when Yef and Yeh ever come back, I will probably listen to them. Thanks a lot. That's great. They like to talk about purses, and that makes me so happy when they talk about the purse. I know. Because you like to sit in them?
Yeah, I like to sit in a purse because I'm a little Yorkie. That's right. Teeny tiny. He's the littlest of our bunch. Oh, he is. Yeah. But I'm the cutest. That's right. I have a question for you, puppy. Okay, sure. Fire away. I was listening to the Mikey show. Yeah. And I hear you talking about different ways to discipline your babies. Yes, we did have that conversation last week. As in your dogs. Yeah, our dogs. Si. And one of the ways that you discussed was using a chalk color? Chocolate? No, no, no. He said he's going to put a chalk color. A chalk color? That's what I say. A chalk color. A chalk color. Well, Beans, if you were listening carefully, I said that I really didn't want to do that. Can I ask you a question, Poppy? Sure. Why don't you want to kill us? I don't. I love you guys more than anything in the world. Okay, because first of all, you already put us in Yale. Yeah, we did. Jail. Jail, yes. The kennel. The kennel. You already did that to us. Yes. Every once in a while.
Mama Jamie have to throw the smack down on me because I'm not a good listener. That's right. You are not a good listener. You kind of do what you want. And Dane, now you talk about putting some kind of a color on us that if we, you know, do something bad, it's put spray paint in our face. What is it, Jay? No, it's like an orange mist. A citrus. Citrus. Tastes like oranges. Yeah, you want to put chloracine. No, I really don't want to do that. You do? I don't. I need you to stop barking and attacking the fence. Yeah, you're a dog after all, right? Yeah, what am I supposed to do? Hold it in. Hold it in. I tell you that the next time you have a little Alberto's and I say, oh, hold it in. Yeah, that's what you do. You don't hold it in. You let it fly like Uncle Jay. Uncle Jay doesn't let it fly. You don't hold it in. No, he doesn't hold it in at all. You let it fly, man. I don't want to get the shot collar for you. Okay, you want to get something to spray something. Spray paint right in my face. I heard that you want to put a little collar on all of your babies.
That sprays a blinding agent into all of us. Is that true that that's what you're trying to do? No, buddy. It's not. It's going to be harmless. Trust me. Bobby? Yeah? You bring me something to eat. Yeah, I'll bring you something when I get home. Why don't you bring? I'll bring bacon. Do you promise? I promise. Promise it to me. I promise. I promise, Sonny. I promise one more time. Senor, I will bring you some bacon. What kind of bacon? Bacon strips. Oh. Oh, he likes that. He loves those. I love you, puppy. I love you, too. Wow. Sweet little dog. Senor beans. He's a good guy. I feel bad for Senor beans. I know. He's so scary. He's keeping me up at night. I've gotten nowhere. I don't even want to leave the house because I don't like putting them up. You don't like to put them in the Yale. I don't like to put them in Yale at all. I just want to stay home, so Jamie's really pleased about that. Oh, it's Mama Yami's fault. I don't want to go anywhere. She's like, let's go get some meat. I'm like, no, we have to pull all the dogs up. Is it hard to rustle four little Yorkies all together? Senior Beans actually is the only one that when we're like, because we say, go get in your bed, go get in your bed. He runs right in and gets in his bed. You think Lindsay Lohan calls it a bed? Yeah, right. The panel is where myself and Woodsy and Lauren O'Brien discuss the news of the day. This is a great place for you to get.
what people are talking about. One of the things people are talking about, by the way, is Comic-Con, which started today and is going to be huge. So let's see. Oh, first, before we do that, got to give you this audio. Told you I would. We'll get to the panel here in just a second. Lindsay Lohan is in Yale. Yes. And there was a woman that was in the Yale and just got released and was talking about what happens. When Lindsay has to leave her cell, what happens with everyone else? What's the atmosphere like in there right now? Every time a celebrity comes, every time she goes to the bathroom, we're on lockdown. Every time she has her food, we're on lockdown. Oh, really? So she's never with other people? Everyone else is in lockdown anymore? No, no, no. She's in her own cell. She's in her own department. That must be par for the course, by the way, with a celebrity. Apparently, when they come out, everybody, boom, you get in your cell. Wow. I wonder what that's about. What are they trying to avoid? A fight. A fight. I mean, people will, you're likely to get more of a beating if you're a celebrity, I'm sure. Oh, yeah. People know who you are. Yeah. They're like, yeah, you think you're above the law? Right. Or love them. You might get loved. Yes. Oh, yeah. I know when Mike Tyson went to prison, he's like, every dude in there wanted to fight me.
And it's like, why would you want to fight Mike? Because you want to say that you want to say that you fought Mike Tyson. Yeah. You don't even have to say that you won. No, you just have to say that you did. Yeah. And Mike Tyson said, because I heard somebody ask, you know, so did everybody leave you alone because you were Mike Tyson? He said, no one is left alone in prison. No one. I'm like. Oh, my gosh. If you want to know a little bit about Lindsay's cell, it's a 12 by 8 cell. There's two bunk beds, a toilet sink, a small tabletop, and a six-inch window with some measly views outside. Gosh. If it had a wireless internet. Might be. It might, you know. It might work for you. Oh, man. See, I'm the opposite of claustrophobic. I am not. Me too. See, like, had I done my little deal in a room by myself, great. Would have been phenomenal. Phenomenal? Yeah, I would have gotten to sleep, enjoy my meals. Yeah. You can't sleep when everybody else is yelling. But see, I was in a room with 50 dudes. There's no sleeping. Dominoes, 4 a.m., just bam, bam, bam. Oh, you lose your mind. You can still hear that stuff. Yeah, but not as bad. Not as bad. Four in the morning, they're playing Dominoes. Oh, every night. 4 a.m. And I bet there's dudes that just want to stay up late and talk. Yeah, just visit. Oh, man. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. It was great. It's like staying in a hostel. It was great. Oh.
Never again. 570-1949 is the number. And if you want, you can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com, the panel. All right, here are some of the things that are happening out in the world. How many users does Facebook have now, Sienna? Facebook is now larger than the U.S., Mexico, and France combined, population-wise, 500 million users. Wow. Five? million. All the people in the U.S., all the people in Mexico, all the people in France combined on Facebook. Holy cow. This is scary. The CEO of Facebook is a 26-year-old guy named Mark Zuckerberg. He got interviewed by Diane Sawyer. What does it mean to you to be a billionaire right now? Well, I'm not. I mean, the company is a private company. Aren't you? Big time me, Phil. So I don't really have access to any money like that. I'm sure you don't. None. I read once that you said you did want a jet. You wanted your own plane. I don't think I ever said that. Why is he such a little smarmy little D? Oh, I'll make an observation. There is no doubt in my mind that he has wisely hired a firm.
that not only coaches him on how to deal with the Diane Sawyers of the world, but just in general how to conduct publicity business. Yeah. I know it's a private company. How much profit? How much income? How much profit? No, we're not going to answer that question. Fascinating interview, by the way. Man, yeah. I've got no comment on that. Never said it. See, I could see, though, how that could be. Dangerous question to answer if you start telling people. Well, of course. But then why do it? Well, there are plenty of things that he can't answer. I think there's plenty of stuff. I mean, to me, those are the dummy questions anyway because I'm thinking to myself, well, is he going to answer this? What's he going to answer? How are your Farmville crops? Well, this is what I want to know. How are your Farmville crops? How far along are you in Mafia Wars? Are you a Don yet? Oh, that's great. My questions would have been, what kind of kid were you? Yeah. How did you get this idea? I would have said, how many girls have you slayed in the last 365 days? I immediately want to know the girls. The girl thing? Like, you know, so now that you're big and famous, has it been a lot easier finding girls? Would you say you're qualified to be with your girlfriend? What does she look like? How big are her boobs? Well, yeah, because, I mean, he just, all he has to do is, you know, his line.
would be, hey, are you on Facebook? Oh, wow. Right? Yeah, I own it. Yeah, I own it. It's me. Yeah, I own it. Yeah, I thought of that. That's crazy. What would you say? Oh, wow, cool, dude. Yeah, maybe you friend me. Pope me. By the way, he gets sued constantly. Did you guys know that? No, I didn't. He gets sued constantly. All of this has come at a stormy and legal price for Zuckerberg. From college acquaintances and friends who said he took ideas and went off on his own, including an old roommate who pushed for the right to be co-founder. What do you think you could have done differently in those days that might have prevented the splintering and accusation in friendships? You know, I started the site when I was 19. I didn't know much about business. But you know. Sienna didn't expect Mark Zuckerberg to speak this way. She maybe expected something different. Well, it started when I was 19. By the way, he's got an 8-foot blonde Amazon girlfriend sitting next to him. She's like, yes, darling. What's your name again? Nibbling his earlobe as he's answering these questions. Feeding him grapes. Yeah, feeding him grapes. Looking back, if you could tell that 19-year-old kid something, what would you tell him?
I think that the things that you learn along the way. It's killing Sienna. She just didn't expect it. Why are you surprised? Computer guy. I don't know. Yeah, well, when I started Facebook. Let me tell you what I thought. You're part of what makes you who you are. Anything you would have done differently? I mean, I would have done a lot of things differently. I hope that instead of making the mistakes that I made, I would have made different mistakes. But, you know, I think that this is. You know, it's funny. When. When Eddie Murphy used to imitate white guys, this was the imitation. Just like that. Is that your bag? Hey, how you doing? Dead on. Exactly. There's no doubt in anyone's mind that that man is white. No question. Oh, yeah, white guy. Clearly. Oh, my gosh. No doubt. I know. There is no doubt. Hello, darling. Skinny. Skinny white guy. An extremely educational experience. Some of it bruising for you inside. But I think all mistakes are, right? I mean, when you break up with a girlfriend or have a failed relationship. You change your relationship status. Yeah, when you break up with a girlfriend and you change your status to when you lose all your lives on World of Warcraft, it's just, it's bruising to you. I mean, those things are bruising, but you learn from that, and that's part of what makes you who you are.
Even this week, another case, his team was in court because a man was saying that Zuckerberg had given him a contract giving him 84% of the company. They were quite sure that we did not sign a contract that says that they have any right to ownership over Facebook. Sharp dude. Smart guy. Wouldn't you be positive you did not give away 84% of your company? Yeah. I think he's trying to be sarcastic. Yeah. We're quite sure. We're quite sure that we did not do that. Every time I've seen this guy, he's always wearing a sweatshirt. Really? Like a zip-up sweatshirt. Yeah. It's his bit. It's his bit. Is it? Is that his thing? I think it's just unassuming. He's like, I'm a kid. You know, we had our CEO of our last company did that bit, too, where he's like, T-shirt. Mr. Hip, DJ's on. You guys get $700 million in the bank. It's Mark Cuban's bit, too. It's a bit. And the Patriots guy, Bill Belichick. He's just a slob, I think. Yeah. I think that might be the deal. Here's my question for the panel. Listen, when MySpace came out, everybody thought MySpace was the thing. Nobody ever would have seen.
When MySpace first came out, how lame MySpace would seem in the rear view mirror of the Facebook car. We just never saw that. So now some things, however, are timeless. So my question for the panel is, is Facebook here to stay? Woodsy? I think it is, man. And, you know, for me, I remember. I remember when I signed up for it, my buddies were like, dude, this is for college kids. It started really as a college thing. But I remember signing up and then slowly finding people I hadn't talked to in years and years. And it is the best way for me. I have friends all over this country. It's the best way to stay in touch with them. So I think it's here to stay. I hope it is. Lauren? I think something else will come out that will evolve. Because you had Friendster before you had MySpace. And now you have Twitter's not as voyeuristic as Facebook. And I think there's going to be something that's going to make it even more. There's going to be an added element that someone's going to come up with. Yep. My logic is that there are problems with Facebook. Facebook is not perfect. There are things about it that irritate us. And I say us because everyone listening right now has a MySpace page.
So you're the three or four here in San Diego that don't and they do exist. Facebook. Facebook. Yeah. But all you got to do is come up with something that eliminates the problem. You'll turn something on, turn people on to something. Man, I give Facebook a year and it's going to look like MySpace does now. Really? Yeah, I think it's going downhill. Mafia wars and stuff like that and the quizzes, like, that was the cool thing about Facebook was you couldn't. You can't personalize your wall and make like glitter and rap music playing and all that stuff that's like, whoa, whoa, sensory overload on this page. Everyone's page is ubiquitous. It's all the white and blue and like. Points for ubiquitous. I know. Yeah, big points. I don't know that I've ever used that word. That's an awesome word. I love words. So when Lauren throws me something like that, I love it. Oh, I'm going to use ubiquitous. But anyway, now they're adding all those little like apps that are kind of junking it up. Yeah. I think you're right. It's for money for Facebook, but. Okay. The next one. Sienna, are CDs dying? Well, think about anyone you know that's in high school right now. Do you think they're running out and buying CDs or are they going on iTunes? Yeah, they're going on iTunes. They're going on iTunes. Or they're finding some way to get it for free. Yeah. I mean, the only CDs that young youngsters.
Our buying now are like their favorite artists, like Justin Bieber and stuff like that. Those CDs are doing well. They still sell. Just like Woods, you know, you wouldn't go buy a CD unless it was someone that you loved. Wrong. You would just get it online. Wrong. No, that's wrong. But you would get it online. How many CDs do you have? Oh, you buy the CD. I do both now. I'm weird. I'm weird. Well, let's talk about it. Okay, so here's the question for the panel. Do you prefer CDs over downloading music, Woods? You know, I don't. I don't prefer CDs, but there's something about going into like a used bookstore and going through CDs for two hours that I still really enjoy. And I'll still buy CDs off of Amazon instead of getting them online because I want to look at the liner notes. I like to look at the art and read who the album is dedicated to and all that stuff. So I love CDs. L-O-B. I more buy the CDs when I go and see an artist live. And then afterwards, I want their CD like right then and there. And that's the beauty of iTunes and buying things online. It's the immediacy of it. I hear that song. I want it now. I don't want to drive, you know, or have it mailed to me or whatever. But there is something very nostalgic about CDs that you'll never get from MP3s. I'm 40. So in 85 is when I remember CDs starting to become a big thing.
What I can tell you is that I love the experience of opening up a jewel case and going and smelling that new CD smell and pulling out the liner notes and looking at the pictures and reading all the stuff. I like it. I never do it. I like it more, but I never do it. What was your first CD you ever bought? Van Halen 5150. Mine was Van Halen 2. Really? Yep. I may be awful, but being 25, I don't see myself buying a CD ever again. Really? Ever again. Did you buy CDs? Were you still in that? I bought CDs in middle school, high school. But no, I haven't bought a CD in years. There's some people that are alive today. There's not very many. But there are one or two living souls that bought something called vinyl. I did. I did. I had a huge collection. Yep. Michael Jackson, Thriller. Would kill to have my vinyl collection back. Kill. I love it. I actually owned eight tracks. Oh, yeah. Some of you don't know what those are. Billy Squire. Clink, clink. You make a big clunky noise. And it'd be a different song playing on each track. Yep. Tell me about the woman and what she found in her pasta or something. Okay. Now, I'm not a seafood person, but there's...
A type of clam called quahogs. Yeah, quahogs. All right, well, I'm just going to throw that out there. That's right. We're just going to call them quahogs. They're quahogs. Okay, quahog. It's quahog. Okay, quahog. There's a couple in Rhode Island. Clam expert. I know. If it's like Family Guy, then it's Quahog. You clamber. There's a couple in Rhode Island, and they were diving for mussels and clams, and they found some clams, went home over the weekend, started cooking them up for dinner, and the woman took a bite in her clam and found a gigantic pearl. Now, this story, I've seen this all over the place, that she found this squirrel. Coral. Pearl in her Quahog dinner. Yeah. And the thing that she thinks is so crazy about it is that when they were on their honeymoon, she and her husband years ago, like in 83, they were doing the whole diving for clam thing and she lost her engagement ring. Now she finds a pearl in a clam. So she thinks it's like the C's way of giving her back jewelry. Really? She says it's karma. Yeah. Okay. That's so there's the topic. Yep. Woods.
Does karma exist or is it a bit? I don't necessarily call it karma, but I do believe that if you do good things, good things will happen to you. So I guess that's karma. But I don't know. Karma just always sounded really hippie to me. I don't like to associate myself with the hippie bit. L-O-B? Write that down. Is karma real or is it a bit? I think it's real. subscribe to a particular religion because I'm fascinated by theology and all the different religions out there. I like the Buddhist belief of karma and things coming back. They say if you love something, let it go. If it comes back, it's yours. That's how you know. It wasn't meant to be. I don't believe in karma. Weird. Mike! I don't believe in karma. And the reason that I don't believe in karma is because there are many people that do really, really wonderful, virtuous things whose kids die. And there are people that do awful, awful, awful things that hit the lottery. Absolutely. And so that is sort of, it sort of debunks karma. But I'm with Woods. I believe that if you do good stuff, hey, listen, it just stands to reason.
that good stuff might happen but you could also associate karma with reincarnation and maybe those people come back as something awful those people that do bad in this life and then still get good come to them then if you believe in reincarnation which some people in certain religions do yeah i do not i do not oh i don't i believe in karma 100 and it's always you do tiana oh yeah How about you just do something good? I think she was a queen in a formula. I was a queen, remember? I don't know if I was a queen, but I lived in a castle. She lived in a castle. I could have worked there. I don't know, but I was there. Did you work there? You know that I didn't. I counted the bricks of gold. That was my job. These guys are going to be at Independence Jam, baby. You can get your Independence Jam tickets. I'm going to demonstrate something for our M1s. This could not have been done, by the way, one month ago. Woodsy, I'm probably, I don't know, 10 feet away from Woodsy. Can you read this, please? Absolutely, I can. It says 8 o'clock albums, Thursday, 722. Dr. Dog, Shame, Shame, Friday, 723. Van Halen, Van Halen 2. Woodsy can do that with no glasses on right now. And there is no freaking way in the universe he could have done that a month ago. I couldn't see five.
I couldn't see five feet in front of me. That's awesome. Yeah. I went to Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center. Dr. Sandy T. Feldman is one of the greatest ladies I've ever met. Her staff is so, they were so amazing to me, and they did my LASIK surgery last Friday. Go in tomorrow for my last checkup. Yeah. Dude, I'll be in the water surfing without glasses, without contacts, Saturday. Oh, my gosh. It's the greatest thing. It's literally the greatest thing that ever happened to me. We were driving, and Woodsy goes. Dude, we were probably, I don't know how far away. This was the day after. This was the next day. The next day. And I don't know how far away we were, but we were a long ways away from this. I couldn't read it anymore. But I was like, it was a long ways away. He read me a street sign. Yeah. And then when I saw the Chevy Malibu, I saw the interior, the black interior with the white outside. I said, this car has it. This is the look I want. Previous vehicles that I've owned, my last one was a BMW 328xi. I didn't like the interior styling, to be honest. The Malibu gave me more space. It had a very styled look. The interior was superior. I just love the interior styling all over. I think they did everything right.
Well, we were going on a trip up to Connecticut. Of course, we had lots of things, and there was still room to spare. So when I went shopping, I could still put shopping bags in the car. People have to start thinking about Chevy again, and they produce a quality product with a great price. It's safe, it's comfortable, and it's beautiful. Today we are looking at some smaller surf out there. That southwest swell continues to fade out a bit, actually a little quicker than I thought. And that means smaller surf across the board, dealing with a little bit of a tight fluctuation, partly cloudy skies with a bit of an onshore wind as well. Beach break, semi-walled up, pick and choose corners, a couple structured areas have some more shape to it. Running in that waist and chest high zone on average. Maybe a few shoulder high waves with that rare plus possible to stand out top south facing areas. Reef break's looking a bit cleaner, but all in all, it's kind of losing its strength and consistency quickly. So if you want to get on it, early is the call. rumors about an Anchorman 2, so we're going to play you what he said here in just a second. Sienna, what's going on in news? A little update on BP for you. About two days ago, Thad Allen, Admiral Thad Allen, he's the appointment for the Gulf of Mexico. I was waiting for you guys to do it. So two days ago, he said that the relief well that they've been working on is going to be done by this weekend. Well, not anymore because of the weather. Apparently, there's a storm developing in the Caribbean, and they stopped work yesterday on the relief well. And they may even have to remove the new cap that they put on the leak. Really? Because if something were to go wrong, if they weren't able to monitor it, then it could cause an even worse disaster. Oh, my. Yeah. You know, so they may have to do that if the work crews have to leave site and they're evacuated. And it could be two weeks before they resume their work on this relief well, which was supposed to be done this weekend. Doesn't weather blow through like in a day or two? I'm surprised they don't just put a submarine that stays down there while it's all happening above. You would think that they'd figure something out, but the storm is bad, and so they have to look out for everyone's health. Also, President Obama signed the financial reform bill in July yesterday. Woodsy, what's going on in sports?
Well, the Padres had a huge win over the Braves last night. They won in extra innings on Nick Conley's two-out double. Heath Bell came in, struck out the side. Steven Strasburg, the San Diego native, continues his winning out in Washington. And bad times to be a former Yankee. Another former Yankee passed away. He used to manage the Yankees. His name was Ralph Houck. Joins Bob Shepard and George Steinbrenner in the new trilogy there. Never heard this. Love it. Don't know what it is. Love it. And Berlin. It's great. Sounds good. It's really good. Okay, so yeah. Jimmy Fallon, last night. Steve Carell. He played the guy, I don't know what his name was in the movie Anchorman, but he played the guy that said, I love lamp. That's all I know. But anyway. Love that movie. Here's what happened last night. There was rumors on the internet about Anchorman 2. It's happening. Wow. How cool is that? My favorite movie. Really? Oh, yeah. No, it's not happening. You seen it, Mike? You guys just missed that. He said, no, it's not happening. He said, no, it's not happening. No, it's not happening. That was a joke? He was just... That was the meanest thing you could ever do. That is amazing. No, is it really happening? It's not. No, it's not happening. That's brilliant. I no longer like Steve's girl. What the heck? That's brilliant.
Are you experiencing some hurt, sadness, and fear right now? I am experiencing all of the above. Yeah, you're hurt, you're sad. And I'm fearful because I might kill him for saying that. Yeah, he was just kidding. You don't just kid. Yeah, you know, I think here's the deal. I can guarantee you this. If Will Ferrell had been watching Jimmy Fallon last night, he would have laughed probably to the point where he would soil himself. Absolutely. But he's pretty much the only one. There are guys. There are some guys that are like, that's their style of humor. That's funny. Some dudes would think that that was funny. Me, if he had said that about a movie that I really loved, I'd have been mad. A couple of pranksters. The good thing is, though, is that now the integrity of Anchorman 1, the only Anchorman, will not be called into question. Because here's the deal. We all sit here and know that movie would have stopped. Yeah, probably.
Whenever they do those, man. See Caddyshack 2. Okay? And there's nothing worse. It's tough. Sequels are really... Karate Kid 2, Rocky 2. I just can't see it getting better, though. It was the worst. League Academy 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. You can't beat the best, though. That is true. Thank God. Naked Gun 2 1⁄2. Now that was funny. Naked Gun 2 1⁄2 was funny. There were moments, like a couple of moments in Airplane 2. But for the most part, terrible. Awful. Yeah. It's tough. Man. Grease 2 is better than the original. God, really? Holy cow. She's lying. Lexi's lying through it, too. I saw it first, so I actually do like it better. What? Grease 2. I saw it before I saw the original. Oh, my gosh. You didn't call yourself an American. You were the one. I was. You were the one. You can call us if you want to. 570. $1.94.9. I know. I'm Ron Burgundy. I'm Ron. You pooped in the refrigerator. So. Not even mad. It's amazing. Apple's been. Apple's been in the news a lot. iPhone 4 not working out so good. Oh, no. Well, you know. How's yours, pal? I love it.
Oh, I thought you meant yours. Oh, no, no. I just mean in general. I saw your blog where you described it as a work of art. Are you serious? It's a work of art. It's a work of art. That was a funny blog or that was serious? I thought you were dead serious. I was 100%. Thank you. Well, don't give me crickets. I think it was a great success for that thing. Wow. It's beautiful. A work of art. LLB, look at it. Everyone that I've met so far that has it, zero complaints. None. The three people you've met. A lot of people have it. That's three for three. Listen, it's the truth. Here's the media. The media goes, oh, something we can talk about that's pretty rad. Yeah. The perfect company now has like something that stinks. But it didn't. It was less than half a percent or something. Dude, I've been using it. It's been great. I haven't had one issue with it. In fact, sometimes I look at it and I go, wow, that really looks good. Why'd they issue the bumpers then? Because you got terrible reception if you held the phone at the top and at the bottom diagonally. Well, that's a defect. Yeah, yeah. I mean, but most people weren't experiencing that. Just most people weren't. Then why, if most people weren't, then why issue the bumper? I can't argue that there wasn't a problem with the phone.
If your point is, hey, Mike, was there a reception problem? Yeah. Sure. Absolutely. But does that make it a bad phone? No, because there's reception problems with what he says, all smartphones. I don't know. I don't know. I dropped one yesterday with LLB, actually. You did? Yeah. I got a BlackBerry. But don't you always go through an area where there's not? Yeah. Yeah, me too. I went through that before anyway. That's the service provider without a tower there. Hey, listen, I'm not going to defend the fact that they made a product that has a bad thing about it. I mean, dropping calls, nobody wants to drop calls. And this is outside of the range of normal drop calls. This is, it's a defect, a flaw. Now, I have one and I love it. I'll tell you, I'm getting one. As soon as they go to Verizon, I'm all over it. Like white on rice. Well, Apple may be doing good. They're no Mapple. That's, that's Mikey show products. Mapple. products are flawless. They really, really are. Senior head of Mapple Design, Simon Kirkland. We saw that there was a need for interference, really, between the young to mid-twenties female in regards to the sort of, you know, tools that they were meeting at nightclubs in Pacific Beach. For the most part, it was sort of the affliction.
or tap out guy, generally intoxicated from American or Mexican brand beer. Yeah, I have guys come up to me and they're like, oh my God, you are so hot and I'm so hot. That's exactly why I'm not talking to you, idiot. You see, besides botching the iPhone 4, this was our single biggest project. And what we did was we set out in early 2010 to really... screw up the launch of a new mobile phone, and then simultaneously design a product for women to deter, in general, white, hormonally charged young men wearing MMA clothing. Clearly, you can see the need was there, but we couldn't figure out how to design a product that could be carried in a purse and then be lightweight and get poor reception, obviously. and then also allow users to shoot motion picture quality special effects for movies for absolutely no reason. And then, as we thought through it, suddenly it hit us. We thought, we can do this wirelessly. Introducing iTool. You see, it's perfectly lightweight and uses no lithium battery at all. It's completely powered, actually, by the female hormone estrogen, which leaves a positive green carbon footprint.
Really? This is my eye away from me. You're not even hot. I could get so much better than you. So much more than you, and you're making a scene. Now, Tool, you're an eye tool. Eye tool from Matt Boyd. Because you don't need any more tools in your toolbox. I love it. You don't need any more. You don't. It's a fact. Imagine if there was such a product. It would fly off the market. Believe me. It just paralyzed the tool when he tried to talk to you. You just pointed at him. It's powered by estrogen. It's like a bark collar. Walked into my closet yesterday and saw my affliction baseball cap with a flat bell and just kind of shook my head. Really? Maybe bring that in so I can make fun of you. Yeah. I looked at it and I thought, you know, one time, it's like being in a museum. One time, you were all right. I had a Malcolm X hat, so who am I kidding? Wow.
Woods had a Malcolm X hat. That's ridiculous. I had a Von Dutch. Oh, my God. Remember, those were sexy. I thought they were sexy as all get up. I claim I was one of the first. Hey, listen. I don't know why. They were never cool. I think they were, man. I thought those were sexy on girls. Oh, man. They're cool for guys on tractors that are out in the fields. What is Von Dutch? Who knows? It's like a truck company or something. Did you ever see the parody shirt that said Von Douche? Genius. That is genius. A few days ago, we were going to talk about this yesterday because we had gotten a text and I said, oh, we got to read this tomorrow. That a guy wrote in and asked, is it just me or do you use your wife's razor too? And the reason that that struck me as something that we must discuss is because of my violent reaction to reading it. I read it and went, no, no, I don't. As we started to discuss it. See, I don't understand using the woman's razor because the guy's razors are the best. Yeah. Either way, guy, girl, husband, wife using each other's razors. Why don't you, you've got your junk and I got my junk. What? Keep your hands yourself. It becomes like a convenience thing. Like you're in the shower. Yeah. I don't, trust me, I don't do it. But you're in the shower and you're like, oh crap, I'm all stubbly and my razor's in the drawer. I'll just use this one.
Really? See, I'm smart. I don't shave in the shower. I shave at the sink and I put my razor in the drawer. She's not getting my razor, pal. And I see hers in there and it looks like she's been gardening with it. So I'm not going to use that. Because women will keep their razors for six months. No way. I do. I keep it for a long time. Why don't you shave in the shower? Why would I need to? I shave in the sink like a man does. No, no, no. I can't see. It's like man used to before there were things called fogless mirrors. Yeah, see, I like to go right up to the sink and shave right here. Oh, I made of money? Fogless mirror? Oh, man. That's right. Fogless mirror, which never ended up being fogless, by the way. Right, exactly. No, no, no. Mikey knows one. He has one. I got the secret. I got the secret. No, I'm going to share this secret with all dudes. A $5.99 fogless mirror. Any fogless mirror, they don't work, okay? They get foggy. Right. I got the answer to it. I use one every day. A $3,000 one that you got an apple. No. I just didn't know this. Fogless. Fogless. You know what keeps a fogless mirror fogless? No fog. Yeah, cold shower. You know what? Shaving it in the sink keeps it fogless. What is it? I'm dying to know. It's a spray called Tilex.
Okay. Tylex. Tylex as well. Yeah, you spray it on your shower. I know this. You spray it on your shower because we had some. Shower, you spray it on a glass shower door and you don't have to touch it. It just runs down the shower door and cleans it. Yeah. Brilliant. And so I thought if it does that to glass, why wouldn't it do it on my full smear? So I simply took the Tylex and put one spray and for the entire length of my shower. Which is an hour and 45 minutes. No fog. It's perfectly clear. Like a mirror. You have to do it every time? That's the job of it, is to clean and to keep it, you know. You do it every time? Every morning. There's a bottle of Tylex in the shower. Every morning that I get in, I go, spray it. And in three minutes, it's... No fog. But I noticed, man, when I got those, every single fogless mirror gets foggy. I'm like, why do they call it fogless? They just call it fogless and give you a regular mirror. I don't even need a mirror to shave though. Can't you just shave without a mirror? No. What do you mean? And then I get out and do the touch-up once I, you know. That's a beating. You just shave at the sink. But I have a color me bad beard. And so I have to get the pencil thin. No. Well. You guys, I.
I ain't using no chick's razor. My husband doesn't know this. No. Are we in the trust tree? Are we in the trust tree? No, we're in the filet fern. Filet fern. We're going to filet you. Yeah, I've used this razor quite a few times. No. No. What's wrong with that? He's my husband. Can I tell you why it's bad? Why? The reason it's bad is because why do we change our razor? Because it gets dull. Because it gets dull. And we all mentally calculate how many times you need to use it. I don't. It would be like giving him a Tootsie Roll. You guys are nuts. It would be like giving him a Tootsie Roll pop and you're like licking the Tootsie Roll pop. He thinks he's got two licks to get to the center of the Tootsie Roll pop. In actuality, his wife's already taking a couple. See, I shave in the shower and who knows, maybe he's used my razor because I leave it in there. But he shaves at the sink so it's in the bathroom, like the mirror cupboard. I've gone in there a few times. Boop, boop. So you grab it out. What do you shave? What do you shave? What do you shave? Armpits. Armpits. So now he gets to put that to his face. Maybe more. Oh. Oh. Oh. Why is that bad? Oh, God. Now he puts that to his face. He's putting it to his face. Oh, it's fine. It's clean. He loves me. My wife's pits. And quote, unquote.
Maybe more. In your face. It's nowhere in your face. Oh, my gosh. You guys, there's nothing. I mean, we've shared a toothbrush before. Yeah, but there's something about the chance of cutting and there is blood on it that freaks me out. Oh, it's my house. I'm going to get AIDS for my wife. What do you mean? I mean, like a slasher film or something. 570-1949. He's probably like, oh, God, you used my razor. I want every take on this. He's finding out right now. Her husband Todd's finding out. Hotline's ringing. Uh-oh. No, it's not. 570-1949. Ooh, nice. Had an argument. I bet you do, Dave. He's getting the lyrics all wrong, though. My wife said she didn't like your music the other day, Dave. Oh, really? Yeah, and you know what I said to her? Keep your eyes on your own paper. I said, babe, you just have to listen to the song Space Between because his voice is like, honey. That's beautiful. I don't care who you are. That's beautiful. Oh, guess who's on the line? Who? My wife. Yes!
We'll see what she, I know it's going to, she's going to, that's a filet fern. Maybe she uses your razor too. Do it, Rebecca. If I find that out, if I find that out, I will, my lid will flip over. I'll flip it. We're in the trust tree, Rebecca. Remember that. Filet fern. Let your voice be heard on the Mikey show now. Call 570-1949 or shoot him a text 949mikey at gmail.com. I've got bees in my attic right now. On FM 94.9. Five people on the Mikey Show. Myself, Woods, Lauren O'Brien, Sienna, and our producer, Jay. Guy texted in. A few days ago, he said, is it just me or do you use your wife's razor too? I do not. Woods, do you? No, but I will use her shaving cream. Of course. It's called Skintastic. Is it really? Oh, yeah. Why do you use it? Skintimate. Maybe it's Skintastic or Skintimate. It's called Skintercourse. I have like a raspberry flavor right now. It's delightful. It doesn't smell like a girl? Yeah, it smells like a girl. Why would you shave your face in a perfume?
Real good. You're asking Woods. He wears women's deodorant. Not anymore. I don't. I wear arm and hammer now. Oh, you're tough now? Yeah. Now you're a real man? Arm and hammer. Really? Oh, you just put it on the biceps. My wife is on the line. Oh, can't wait. Hi, darling. Hi, sweetheart. Yes. Fake phone voice. I love this already. I love you so much. Oh, I know where this is going. Uh-uh. Don't say it. I love you. Dad, you're done? What? What? Well. No. Maybe. No. No. No. I might use your razor. They work better. I don't know if you guys just take better care of them than we do. Maybe you buy one. Yes. I have one too. Yes. No. I like his. Why? Because it works better. He didn't invent it. Well, because I'll be in the shower and I'll start to shave my legs and I'll go, oh, my razor's like dull. It hurts.
Babe, why don't you get one like mine? Get if you like the mock fusion. But that's not really the problem. The problem is that I need to have changed the cartridge before I go into the shower. It's a matter of convenience. Oh. Yeah, then you got to get out and you're dripping wet. Oh, I would use his all the time. My razor gets dull, but I'm like, I don't want to use. a different person's... And I know it's my wife. We are one. I get it. I get it. I get it. I get it. Team Esparza. There's no I in team. There's no... There's a me in team. I'm not using her toothbrush. I'm not using her razor. Toothbrush is... It's different. To get ready, use my finger. Toothbrush seems grosser to me than a razor. It is. I'll use J-Bone's toothbrush all the time. No! No, Woods. And she'll look at me like, really, you're using my toothbrush, and I do it. She doesn't care. Oh, wow. Team Woods, dude. That is a lot grosser than a razor. No way. It's filthy. No. I've done the toothbrush, too. No. I don't, like, recommend it. I'm not like, yeah, let's use it. If you had to do it. What, because you're on Survivor? Vacation, maybe. You forget it. And Jeff Popes is standing over you, and he's like, brush your teeth. Brush your teeth. Babe. Yeah? How about we...
Get you your own little fusion. And how about I install or J installs. How about J installs some sort of. cartridge holder on the outside of the shower that you can use. He's got a holster where he keeps his cell phone. He makes you like a little... But then those will run out. I think you do it in dire straits. You're like, wow, I really needed to shave today and I just found out my razor's dull. I am not walking out of the shower without taking care of this. Yet another brilliant reason that your boy shaves at the sink. Brilliant. No, Todd shapes at the sink and I'll still use his. Yeah, you'll go get his out of the cabinet. If I'm in the shower and I'm like, oh, oh, oh, and then I'll get out and I'll drip all over and I'll grab it. That's messed up. I'm going to put blue exploding bank dye on my razor. Put a fingerprint code. A fingerprint, yeah. Do a retina scan. You can only get it.
Yes, it's a retina scan. You're going to only use it with a retinal scan. It's your life, and it's not a big deal. No, it's not a big deal at all. Look, you didn't even know. Now, what if Mikey was cut, you know, because he shaves that bald dome of his. What if he's cut and he cuts himself because Rebecca was hacking at her legs? Oh, stop. Maybe he should check the sharpness before he uses it. Hurt, sadness, fear. Hurt, sadness, fear. Hurt, sadness, fear. You're very hurt. I've never seen a nick on your head ever. Yeah, I've done it. I've done it. I bet it was the day after. Rebecca, don't stop using it. If it's there and you need it, you use it. That's your husband. That's what he's there for. I think sharp razors are more dangerous. That's the only time I cut myself. No way. I get ingrown hairs, man, when I use a dull razor. Yeah, and it'll stutter step when it's, like, dull. It does. Thank you, honey. I love you. Don't do it again. All right, hon. Okay, love you. We'll see. I love you, too. Don't do it again. Keep doing it. It's part of life. Sharing. M1LJ from the South Bay is on the line. Are you there? Good morning. What's going on? You guys kind of cracked the thing open there when there was a little joke about it. Am I going to get an inch for my wife? Right. Go on and use your wife's razor, no problem. Never use a strange woman's razor. No. Why?
That guy about 20 years ago came to work with the damnedest situation on his mouth, face, lips. Oh, my God. Send him to the doctor. He had a yeast infection going on. Nightmare, nightmare, nightmare. I'm in a nightmare. I need to wake up. I'm in a nightmare. Wake up. Oh, my God. I need to wake up. Oh, my God. Every draw is dropped open. Woods is pushed away from the microphone. He's pushed away from the microphone. He's hiding his face. Lauren is in the fetal. Wow. That's one of those stories that you're like, oh, I know someone who knows someone who knows someone. This guy knows the guy. This guy, this is not an urban legend. This guy on the phone right now worked with this man that came to work with a yeast infection. On his face. On his face. Oh my gosh. What's that smell like? Did you just get that eating Wonder Bread? What is that? Oh my gosh. Easy there, Pillsbury. Let me just, I'm going to tell you. I'll tell you right now. I will be 97 years old on my deathbed.
And I will remember M1LJ's call. You will remember the Pillsbury Doughboy as he was affectionately called. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Cannoli. That'll teach you not to go messing around with Strange. Oh, my gosh. Won't it? Yeah. You know who doesn't get a mustache yeast infection? Oh, my God. Oh, my gosh. This young man swore his face was on fire. Oh, I bet. Your face is on fire. I wonder how his peace felt. Oh, my gosh. Imagine him at the doctor sitting there. What's wrong with my face? What's wrong with my face? Well, sir. Yeah. Let me ask you a question, sir. Have you made love to a strange woman lately, gotten in the shower, and used her razor on your face? How do you figure that out? A couple times this week. Yeah, yeah. Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. That will teach you. I just vomited my mouth. I mean, imagine his face when the doctor told him you have a yeast infection on your face. Oh, my gosh. LJ. Brutal. LJ. One word, yes. I had a question. It escaped me because that's a stunner. Because your spirit escaped your body. That's why. There you go.
That dude probably thinks about that every day. He probably has a six foot beard. Never again touching a razor. Thank you for the call. Have a good day. No, not anymore. It's repugnant. I'm just sitting here thinking about it. I know someone that did something. It's similar, but it's not as gross. It isn't. You know those pumice stones that you use on your feet? Yeah. Well, this person didn't know what it was and was in the girl's shower, like, trying out all the different products and was like, oh, this looks nice. Used it on his face. And it just cut him up. Fungus face. You know what I thought you were going to say? You know, I thought where I thought you were going? That somebody had, like, athlete's foot. It was fungus on his face. Oh, I thought you meant it just scratched him real bad. Oh, he used it and he got fungus on his face. Repugnant. Fungus face. Fungus. Filth. Disgusting. Not as bad as it used to be. Pretty bad. Pretty bad. Filthy. My whole body is itching right now. Oh, I know. By the way.
I feel like I'm having an allergic reaction to my ears. You're going to have a yeast infection. Do I laugh? Do I cry? What do I do? Hey, fung face. How you doing? Fung face. Fung face. Hey, fung you. I feel. Foot face. Foot face. That's what the guy's known as. Hey, athlete's face. Yeah, I got a real bad case of athlete's face. That's what the dude's office sounded like. I was wearing my baseball cleats in my face, so that's what happened. You know that for the next three years, they're like, I don't want to work this shift. Ask foot face. You know that happened. Wait, Sarah Jessica Parker? Oh, what? You know that's the deal, man. You know it. You know it. Holy cow. I'm going to think about that for the rest of the week. Oh, my gosh. For the rest of my life. But, like, I'm going to think about it a lot. Oh, God. That's terrifying. So, there you go. Keep your razors to yourselves. I guess we should all be using our own personal hygiene products. That won't stop me from using my husband. Oh, my gosh.
I want to know Todd's take on that. M1 Dave from Fallbrook. Are you there? Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah. So what I did, I tried to develop a plan so my wife wouldn't use my razor. So what I did was I bought two razors. And I would change the blade. The fresh blade would be my razor. Right. And then my old blade would go on her razor. I would set that razor strategically out onto the sink. Did it work? It worked for a little while. Then what happened is I think the razor she was using, she thought it was too dull, so she went to go get a fresh blade out of my cartridge. She found my other razor. The backup reserve. Found the backup. We'll get you. I found both razors in the shower. Both, yeah. As if to say, really? Caught you. Yeah, I think you're so smart, don't you? Side by side. Side by side. Guy gets in the shower, opens the door, looks and sees both razors. He's like...
Oh, I'm a dead man. Yeah. I'm a dead man. Yeah, you know what? And a little note. A little note that said, it happens when you're sleeping. Yeah, don't go to sleep tonight. I know. Whatever. I know. We go and we're the ones that buy you all these fresh cartridges of razor, are we? Why not buy two then? Next time you do it. I do. I went to Costco. Todd has a huge bag of them. You still want his? His is better. We know Mr. Gillette. He sends them these. It's not a big deal. He's my neighbor. We've got a... Corton of them. Sienna, I believe that what you said right now is a true fact. It is. I think women feel like their husband's razor is more effective. Every time I use it, even if I have a... Buy it for yourself. No, it has to be his. It does. I don't know why. Weird. Even if I have a sharp razor on my razor, is that what it's called? A blade. A sharp blade on my razor. His will still shave better. No, it doesn't. It does. In my mind, it does. Oh, my God. My goodness. Some women just strictly buy men's razors for their legs. I even have, I have a fusion. He has the Mach 5. There's like a black market out there for boyfriend razors. Yeah. Yeah, girls are like, you got a boyfriend razor? You know I do. I'll give you top dollar for it. How much we talking? Oh, which one do you want? I want fills. How much is fills? You got fills right here? Yeah.
$37. What about Josh's? $42. Why? A little bit more used. It's a little bit more worn in. Guy had a beard like Paul Bunyan. A little bit more worn in. 570-1949 is our number. I'm sorry, Todd. And you can also text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. One of our engineers here. is JR. Love JR. He is the best. And he gave us this device. It's the coolest thing I've ever seen. It's the weirdest thing. That had us all sniggling. Woodsy is, Woodsy has a thing that he, if he gets, like if he's got static electricity on his feet and he gets shocked, it skeeves him out. Tickles. He hates it. I do too. I hate getting shocked. Yeah, it's weird. I hate it. But,
In the studio right now, we have this little machine that JR gave us, and it's called Shocking Roulette. Oh, gosh. Oh, my God. I'd love to be shocked. It has what looks like large. It has four what look like large thimbles, like a thimble that you put your finger in. Yeah. It's a circle, and it looks like it has four thimbles on it. And what you do is you put your finger in. Oh, God. One thimble. And then, yep, you put your finger. Each person puts their finger in a thimble. And then you hit the start button and it's shocking roulette. And one person gets the shock. Okay. You guys in? I am. I'm pregnant. You can't do it. Yes, you can. I can't do anything. I can't get shocked. Yes, you can. What if I go into labor? Yeah, whatever water breaks. Whatever water breaks. I'd have to retire. What? Woodsy is not coming back to the air. Sienna's water broke in the studio, and he is mentally scarred for the rest of his life. It is not a big deal. It isn't? Really? I don't know. I've never had it happen, but it doesn't seem like a big deal. I know. It's not a big deal. You will see me run. I'll run.
Run, run, run. It would scare me because I'd be like, a baby's coming right now. A baby's coming right now. It's my first. I'll have hours until that happens. Okay, let's play. I'll come around. You know it's going to be me. You know it's going to be me. So you don't know who's going to get shot. No, you have no idea. Jay, you got to play too. And your finger is in this little thimble so you can't see what's coming around. Oh, wow. It's like a little Simon machine. Whoa, why'd you start it, Woods? Push finger in. Hey, why'd you do that? All of their fingers are in there and they all have a terrified... Do it again! Do it again! Do it again! Do it again! Oh my gosh! You can see this on the webcam. I landed on the wheelchair and flew back. You know what else would fit in there?
It's a little bigger than a fan ball. One more time. Okay. Everyone do it. Come on. Come on. Come on. Mikeyshow.com. You can see this. Son of a. Don't be me. Don't be me. Don't be me. There you go. Keep your finger there. Keep your finger there. Vince. Vince. Vince. Come on. Vince took his finger out. I can't. I can't. Do it. You want to do anything. Come on. Come on. Come on. You can do it. Man up. Sally! I don't know if I can do it again. Oh, this is funny. I love that. Okay. Put your finger in there. Woods is almost in tears. Keep it in there. Press down. I can't. Press down. Come on. Do it. Press down. Press down. Woods. Press down. Press down. What? He took his finger out again. I can't do it. You can do it. I have a fear of shocks. You call yourself a man. We all have fear of shocks. You can do it. Who got the last one? We all took our finger out because he took his finger out. He put a hand on it. Oh, it has to have all of them in there for it to work. You can do this. You can do it. Do it without me. You don't have to do it. Go on. Put it in there. Come on, Woods. Come on. We can get a three-year-old. Put it in there. Oh, wow. Woods, come on. Jake's got two fingers in.
Push down everyone. I'm sweating. I'm not doing it again. I'm not going to be able to have kids. I thought you wanted me to feel your heartbeat, and you're, like, lifting up your shirt. I'm like, I don't need to feel your skin. I am sweating. Look at him. I hate shock. Wow. I don't blame you. That was not fun. Twice. Twice. Okay, this is a game that you need to get. It's called Shocking Roulette. My whole arm is shaking. Yeah, really. See? Holy cow. Holy cow. You can't do that to your doggies. What's it called? Shocking roulette? Shocking roulette. It's not. It's mean. That is the ultimate gift for Christmas. Anyone will like it. And you can call me whatever you want. I don't care. Sally. I will say, yes, you're right. I hate it. I don't like to be shocked. Oh, that was fun. I'm shaking. For you.
It was so much screaming and excitement. I would have flipped out if I wasn't sure. It hurt. Yeah. Got her twice. What's his fingers in there? Shaking. Bobbing around. I know. Oh, I can't do it. Oh, I can't do it. Oh, I can't do it. He pulled out a couple times. You're all right. Seriously, there's sweat all over him right now. He's sweating. My chest is sweating. Fan you off. Fan you off. Oh, my gosh. I have such a fear of shock. Oh, my gosh. Oh, that's fantastic. It's a rough day at work today. Oh, my gosh. My arm is tingling. I can't believe you got it twice. I know. That sucks. Levi Johnston is Bristol Palin's baby's daddy. Fiance now. Now they're going to get married. But I don't know if you know this. So in a minute, we're going to find out about that story and how he apologized to Sarah. What's going on in the news, Sienna? Have you heard about what's going on in southern China? There's been a lot of rain, and so that means floods.
There has been over 700 deaths in southern China by floods and landslides because of this rain. And now today there's supposed to be another powerful storm. So everyone's trying to get ready. Yeah. And also, on a lighter note, good luck to them down there. They're also dealing with an oil spill as well. Not nearly as bad as our oil spill, but it has been an issue. Scientists have discovered a monster star. It's called a hypergiant. And this thing is 10 million times brighter than the sun. What? Yeah, they just found this. We can't see it then. Maybe cure AIDS. Yeah, maybe cure AIDS. You're finding 10 million. Oh, my God. 10 million. Get your eye out of the telescope. Oh, my God. Oh, wow. A team of astronomers just used a sophisticated telescope, and they saw it while they were in Chile. Sophisticated, meaning, yeah, sophisticated wears high heels. Just so you know. Right? I don't want him to be because he's such a jerk, but he really is. Girls love jerks. Yeah, you know that. I know. I feel weird saying it. I wonder if that makes him hotter because he's a bad boy. Yes. Probably. Probably. He was doing okay before that anyway. Yeah. He's named after jeans. I never, because he was in Playgirl. Get out. What? Yeah. I never saw it showing off, but I wanted to. He didn't show the goods, but he showed everything else in the behind goods. He doesn't look cute in that picture. Apparently, Sienna is really attracted to goalies in the NHL. I will find one. I'm steaming mad. Yeah. Yeah. Piping, even. You sound like it. Yeah, you're piping mad. Oh, yeah. You're taking the high road, though. I think that's nice. Oh, I think so. You've always got to do that. So that dude's hot? He's a sharp dude. It's a picture of him shirtless holding his baby. That's a good bit. He has such a... I think it's like... You know, he kind of looks like...
any dude to me. He has a tattoo that says his last name on his forearm. Yeah, he's definitely a dork. He's not a hot dork. I mean, he's good looking. I wouldn't even want to talk to him. I just want to look at him. I wouldn't want to kick him out of that. I don't want to talk to him. I just want to slay him. No, I don't. Hey, man, there's a couple of things here that I thought were kind of interesting about this story. First of all, that it may even be A question that Sarah Palin and her dad go to this wedding. I didn't even know that was a question. Listen to Bristol. I would love to have my parents at my wedding. I'd love to have my dad walk me down the aisle. I hope we can all come together as a family. I want to get married soon just so that we can live together and be together all the time. Yeah, and then they can finally make love. Oh, man. Oh, wait. No, they already did that. She sounds like a beating. The little girl? Bristol. Yeah, I mean, it's just like, you know, obviously her parents aren't happy about it. He made a complete fool of them and was spreading rumors about Sarah Palin and her husband Todd getting a divorce and how they don't get along and stuff about their child, Tripp, you know, who has Down syndrome. And he would say awful things. He said that Sarah Palin.
called the child a retard. He said bad stuff. He said really bad stuff about that family. And for Bristol to take him back is, I mean, it's hard because there's a kid involved, but you can't blame her parents. You know what I remember, though? I remember being a kid, and something bad would happen with a girlfriend, and the first thing I'd do is tell my family all about what an awful girlfriend, blah, blah, blah. And then I'm back together with her. It happens. And they don't like, now they don't like her. And it's my fault, you know, because I've said all this stuff. Anyway, here is Levi Johnston, hot, soon to be Mr. Bristol Palin, talking about apologizing to Sarah Palin. I know it felt right to me. I said I was sorry to Sarah and Todd. And then she was really nice to me. I went over there, apologized, and I thought things went. Things went well. It was important for me. He said harp practice. I think it's so strange, yeah, that he's doing this interview in a white robe playing a harp. But they have it so faint that it's like, are we supposed to be hearing this?
You know, the harp is a very underused instrument in today's television production. Well, the best part about the harp is it's very convenient. Pack up and go. Yeah, you can play a lot of gigs. You need a semi-truck to be a harpist. Harpist. I always said harpoon. Amen. Ben. Our harp player can't make it. He can't make it tonight because he couldn't get his dad's U-Haul. He got four flat tires on his semi-truck and he can't make it. So the thing won't drive. So he's out. Unless we can somehow get Jay over here to make a harp for him. They're so massive. It's going to be an issue. You know, I wanted to do it and I did it and I feel so much better about it. That was important to everybody. Mikey is strumming the harp right now. By the way, by the way. I can't even listen to the words. Yeah, me either. I'm not even listening to him anymore. I'm just listening to the harp. But by the way, when do you make the decision as a youngster? Harp. And then when you do make the decision, you know what?
It's harp for me. You know, my brother, my sister, electric guitar, drums, whatever. Harp. And then you have to go to your parents whose job it is to then find a harp instructor. Or how about just a harp? A harp. Yeah, you call Guitar Center and go, hey. And then you hang up. And then you call back and you're like, hey, sorry about that. We got disconnected. And you hang up again because you're like, I don't know what to do. And you get the courage. You call him back and you go, hey, my son wants to play the harp. And do you guys have any harps? He says, no, we like girls here. Yeah. And then he hangs up on you. He says, is that acoustic or are you going to want an electric harp? Electric harp. 1-800-HARP. You mean, you're trying to say harmonica, right? No, no, no. A harp. A harp? Like a real harp? What is this? Is this heaven? Is heaven calling? Is heaven calling? Is your son an angel? Is your son's name Gabriel? You have pearly gates in front of your house. Is this Jesus on the phone? Yeah, do we just drive up to the pearly gates? Is St. Peter going to be waiting there when I show up? He's going to let me in?
I mean, I've never seen anyone under the age of 70 playing the harp. No. I think you basically, like if you just trip on a harp and it makes a nice noise, people are like, oh, you know how to play the harp. Apparently, I do. You know where there's a call for the harp? The Titanic. That's really the last place that they needed the harp. There's a mall in Dallas and they have a harp player at Christmas. And I swear, I stand there and I'm like. I'm dumbfounded. It's beautiful. It's a beautiful instrument. Their fingers and all the strings. I play six strings on a guitar and it's impossible. I can't imagine. How do you learn it? I don't know, but I'll get a bitchy Facebook from somebody later. I've been playing the harp for 30 years. We got one now. M1 Rich from La Mesa. You have to be to buy a harp. Rich? Go ahead. You're on the air. How are you guys doing today? Good. I just felt like the last end of you guys, like, ragging on the harp. I actually work with a harp player. Uh-oh. And, yeah, it's a beautiful instrument. I don't know why you guys... It is. No, no, no, no. Listen, dude, come on now. It is a beautiful instrument. Really, we're in a fun mood. We're riffing. But the bottom line is that you, even you would admit, there is not a lot of call for the harp. I mean, it is a beautiful instrument. Nobody's denying it.
Weddings. Weddings. Yeah. Weddings. Funerals. Funerals, Four Seasons, lobbies, that sort of thing. Yeah. I'll tell you, Rich, if I had a lot of money, not only would I have somebody feeding me grapes, but I would have a harp player. That's my question, because it's beautiful. Yeah. It's a beautiful instrument. There's no doubt about it. And like I said, the convenience of it is what makes it really, really beautiful. It's nice and small. They make different sizes, too, I think. Really? Do they make a tiny ukulele-sized harp? Probably. A harpsichord. Isn't that a small little harp? What about the harpsichord? That's the piano, I think, isn't it? Oh. Oh. Sorry. Well, same thing. Or not. Tell your friend we're sorry. We're sorry. We're just having a good time. I know. All right. Thanks. We'll see you. A harp. You must work with a 75-year-old woman. We got a smackdown from a harp's friend's player. Or whatever. Maybe we just go kill ourselves. Well, the harpist, well, listen. The harpist ain't going to call in. He's like, hey, listen. I ain't going to take that. A lot of female harpists. There is. Is it harpist? I would say that the harp industry is made up of 98%.
female harpists. Is it a harpist? No, Harbinger. What are you? If you're a harp player, are you a harpist? A harper? A harp breaker? A harpist artist? A harpist artist. A harpist artist. I'm looking it up. You're a harpivore. A harpivore. What is a harp player called? Oh, that's great. A harpooner. Harpooner. It doesn't even say it anywhere. You know what? A lot of the most famous harpists have groupies. Oh, harpist. It's harpist. There we go. Look at us. And they're called harpies. I wouldn't want to be called a harpy. That joke didn't go over as good as I thought it was going to go. I gave it my best shot. I'd like to issue a formal apology on that joke. That joke is now being eulogized. Wait, what was it? Say the joke again? You know, a lot of... of the more famous harpists have groupies. And they're called harpies. Thank you. Thank you so much. Well, good night, everyone. I hope you've enjoyed your night here at the Sonoma Mountain Winery. I've been Michael Shannon, and we'll see you later. That's whack. That's horrible. 570-1949.
Is our phone number. Can anyone say one thing that Levi Johnson said? No, nothing. I don't even know. All I heard was... This is another clip again. Yeah. For Tripp and her. Let's go back a little bit. I said I was sorry to Sarah and Todd, and then she was really nice to me. I went over there and apologized, and I thought things went well. You know where else. There's a lot of use for the harpist. Where would the television show The Bachelor be without the harp? That was our harp player. Oh, there's always that. You will hear that instrument. I wouldn't know. You watch it with your wife. Yes, I never watch it. Never. You do. Anytime you watch the movies and they have a fancy party, there's always a harp player. Or a cellist or a violinist. Oh, look at you. Cellist. Cellist. That's good. That's a pretty instrument, by the way. Let's see if I can find anything online here. For harping? Yeah. Maybe take a harp course. Maybe Loretta Stone or Rosetta Stone. Yeah. Loretta. We should have Harpist come into play for us. 100%. Oh, my goodness. That would be fantastic. For a whole show? Could you fit a harp in the elevator? I don't know. Yeah. Oh, pretty. I'm at peace. It was the most amazing night of our life. When I came on this show, I was like, you know what? I probably won't meet the man of my dreams.
But if I do, I'll just be happy. You know, being with her was amazing. We had an amazing date. And, you know, it was just really an amazing night. You know what was so amazing about the first time that we went on our stay overnight date was that I was trying to pretend that I wasn't going to make love to him. Even though in truth and reality. We all knew that I was going to make love tonight. We were in the limo, in an amazing limo, on our way out to an amazing vineyard, and she whispered in my ear, I'm going to make amazing love tonight. It reminds me of Match.com. Oh, yeah, and I told her. Match.com. Where even ugly guys get laid. I told her, you have amazing breasts. I said to him, it's not so amazing that you're commenting on my breath, because that's kind of rude.
But the truth is I'm still going to make amazing love to you. That's just the truth. You're an amazing woman. This is an amazing show. I'm so amazed at the amazing show. Being on this show. It's true. How many times did Jimmy Fallon count them say amazing? 18. 18 times. In two seconds. I wish we still had that. Oh, man. See if we still had that somewhere. It was so amazing. It's the greatest. They actually turned it into a drinking game. Yeah. Every time they said it, you had to take a drink. Be hammered by the end of that thing. 570-1949 is our number. M1, Chris from Oceanside. Hey, what's up, Mikey? What's going on? Hey, man, I just had to tell you guys, thank you so much for what you do. Oh, dude, thank you. Wait, wait, wait, wait, dude. Let me give you some harp music. That was so gorgeous. Do this right. Let's do this right. Go ahead. You mean so much to me. Thank you. I love you guys from the bottom of my heart. This just got super romantic. This just got really romantic. I'm feeling so soft and fuzzy inside. You sound like a gorgeous man. I think I just came up with a haiku, but I'm feeling angry due to hurt, sadness, and fear. Yeah? Mikey, where are you? Thank you. That was beautiful. I love you. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you, brother. Thank you, man. L-O-B.
Yeah. I've got a special place for you. Oh. You or something else. I love you. Thank you. You too, Chris. I got a bromance going strong for Woodsy. That a boy. I've loved Mikey for years, but... Don't forget CNNJ. I don't know what ray of sunlight came down on Mikey to find you, but I'm so glad you're part of the show. Yeah, she's the single one on the show. That's amazing. That is amazing. He said he had a special place for LLB. I think it's called his crotch. Okay. All right. Well, maybe we went a little far without him. All right. I mean, but besides that. You put it on a tee, Chris. What happens? Oh, wow. What happens? I heard you. He's not on the line. You tell me what happens. The kid knocks it out of the park. That's a girl. That's me. That's me. Maybe we just have harp music in the background all the time. What if? Every bit like the Padres over the Braves last night. You know, it was great. Nick Hundley came in at the game-winning pit. Thanks. Thanks, Woods. Hey, listen, we want to update you on BP. Looks like that cap is not holding as well as they thought it was going to. And as of right now, there's a couple of small leagues there in the Gulf of Mexico. Sienna, what's happening currently with...
President Obama and his administration. Well, Mike, President Obama is not doing well at all. Yeah, I hear his polls are down. Way down. Mike? Yeah. I'd like to talk about organic for a minute. Yeah. The positives. Going green? Yeah, Lauren. Going green. Reduce your carbon footprint. That's really nice to hear. Hey, Mikey. Yeah, go ahead, Jay. Do you ever have that not-so-fresh feeling? And you're being inappropriate. Yes. I wonder what Eskimo Blue Waters thinks of that. Eskimo, how are you? It's about time. I get some air time on this piece of crap. Maybe you learn the harp and come in next time. Oh, that's actually a great idea. Have you? Haven't tried that one. Not a lot of competition. Yeah, there's not. A lot of work out there for you. Or not. 570-1949 is our phone number or you can... Or you can text us 949mikey at gmail.com. There was a study done that tells us what age women are the most attractive. Try to think what age that is and we'll tell you next. For listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9.

I've ever met in my life. Our friend Jared is also just an incredible dude and has a company called createyourdesignonline.com and he is uber talented. I don't say uber very often. You should probably never say it. Woodsy will say it every once in a while and then he gets a little crack back on the uber. Like when I'm talking about Jared. That's right. But he is, man. He's so, so talented. He does business cards. He did our billboard. He does our website. He'll do website design for you. Anything that you need and you want it to be high-end, he'll do it for you. And he is really, really good, especially about if you need something fast, he can do incredible work. quickly, which is really cool. And maybe you want a billboard of yourself. Yeah, maybe you just want to put a picture of yourself up. That would be so awesome. You can design it with him. You can be like, well, listen, I want to have my tattoos on my arms and a big billboard. He'll do it. Did it for me. So he'll do it for you. You call him, you say, you know what? I really want to highlight my abs in this billboard. Don't we all? Yeah. I did not go to that body part. No.
When I was telling him. The go-to is not the ab for you? No, not the ab area. The ab. For me. It's not. Let's see. So the age that women are the most attractive. I believe it's biological. At what age are women to be having babies? My brother Mark once said to me, I used to say to him, oh my gosh, I met this girl. This was when I was in high school. I'd go, oh, I met this girl. She's so, so gorgeous. And Mark would go, they all are at that age. They all are at that age. At what age? Between like 15 and 18 years old, a girl is really pretty. Not always. I would say like 17 to 21. Yeah, well, I mean, I'd say 38. If I say 15 to 18, I'm not saying that they're not pretty anymore.
No, I know. Yeah. But you're like, I mean. If I had to pick the. Fit. I'll say 17 or 18. The answer is going to probably be 17 or 18. That's models. Most attractive. Hey, listen. It depends on how, if you're asking like biologically. Biologically. Or if it's asking a survey. Oh, what is it? What are they doing? No, it was a poll of 2,000 men and women. And women. Celebrating Beauty Month asked when women are most attractive. At what age? See, now I wonder if it was affected by what age they were. Maybe you're overthinking it. Yeah. 32. 38. Close. Lauren's close. Really? 35. Women were probably that age. What? 30? Is it in the 30s? 70% said it's in the 30s. 35? Nope. 31? Yep. Really? The age 31 is when women are the most attractive. That's probably who they were pulling. Because they're more confident, you know. They're used to what their body is. That's true, dude. They're rocking what they have. I wonder if we're talking about physical attraction. You know, it doesn't matter what we're talking about. No, of course we're talking about physical. It doesn't matter, though. It matters. Well, what matters is who they asked. But I'll tell you what. The older my wife gets, the prettier she gets, I think.
You're really going to pull that on us right now? She's like a fine wine. You have a beautiful wife. Your wife is absolutely beautiful, but I feel that you right now were just trying to... Kissing a little. Kissing a little butt. Nope. Don't have to. Wine markers. Mike, I... Now that's true. I just want to say, Mike, that if you're asking me what age women are the hottest... I'd have to say my wife. Is that Matt McConaughey that we're talking to? It's my wife. And I don't know if you're listening, darling. But you are so beautiful. Hey, Maki. My wife. She's a 10. I call her my dime. She's 15, okay, guys? I don't know if she's listening right now. Yes, you do. But, darling, gosh darn it, I love you. The way you play with me. Penny Bell. The way you pay with her. Senor Beans. The way, even when you're spanking Senor Beans. Really? My God, you just. My goodness, you blow me away. Takes care of the kid, okay? Kids turn up. Takes care of the kid real good. Takes care of the kid real sweetly. Real sweetly. Sorry you don't find your wife as attractive as I find my wife. Is that it? You're going to turn it like that? You're going to do that. Team Woods, okay? Team Woods. You know I'm Mikey.
If they did a poll on the most attractive woman names, I bet names start with a J. Absolutely. It ends with Amy. Harp in there one more time. The harpsichord. Just the harp. I thought it was like... No, the harpsichord, I think the guy is right, is some sort of piano type thing. Do you want to hear a new tune? from the Jersey Shore guy. More than any. Of course you do. Let's do it. No, wait. Yeah, it is a Jersey Shore guy. Yeah, this guy's name is Pauly D. The Situation, who's also on the show, he released something earlier. There's a person named The Situation. Self-name. No, I watched the very first one, and I felt myself getting dumber. DJ Pauly Dink. Yeah! Fist bumping all night long. Everyone fist bumps. This is DJ Pauly Dink. Being a Guido's a way of life. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I have to pause it because they have the lyrics printed here. I didn't think that that was the lyrics. I'm reading the lyrics. It was a bad word. He drops a bomb. Yeah, he drops a bomb. Well, if you are a Jersey fan. Jersey Shore fan, which you can't be. MTV just confirmed that they're going to be doing a third season. Oh, my goodness. There you go with that. Paid them big money, too, this time. Snooki, the whole crew. You watch it, right, Elleby? Paid to be a douchebag. No. How do you know all that? I've seen it. I've looked at it. You lived it. No, I haven't. You don't watch it for real? On Hulu? No. None of them are from New Jersey, by the way. They're not? Shocking. No, they're vacationing at the Jersey Shore. From Long Island. New York. Long Island. Strong Island. Strong Island. Guess what Sienna found out. Sienna found out that she's getting old. Yes. Congratulations. Congrats on that. Thanks, guys. No, it was like I looked down. I was like, whoa, what's happening? Nuts. Sienna found out that she's getting older. You know how she found out? Because her little sister. Avalon. Little sister Avalon made a little fun of her.
About using, dropping an LOL. I did. I mean, my sister's in high school. You thought you were being so cool. We were texting back and forth, and I was like, oh, LOL. Like, you know, there's no more appropriate person to send it to than someone in high school. Sure. Or Mikey. And I was trying to be fun, or Mikey. Or Mikey. And I was trying to be funny, too, and I thought she was going to right respond, like, laughing. And all she said was, please never say LOL again. Wow. Wow. That's awesome. She dropped the hammer. I was just like. She dropped the hammer. Trying to be cool. Trying to be cool. Yeah, you're getting old, kid. I'm 25 years old. Yeah, you're getting old. I still like LOL. I just don't do it because L-O-B and Woodsy. But I was really laughing out loud. Yeah. And so I was making it, you know? That's the best. That's over the top. LOL does not even mean laugh out loud anymore. Sabrina. It's so five seconds ago. Aren't you our weather girl? Yeah, you're a weather girl. What are you doing? Well, I'm here to do the weather, and I just have to set you all straight. Well, first of all, you're, what, 20? One. 21. Yeah, I'm legal. Right. I'm legal. What does that mean you're legal? I'm like you, Mikey. I am legal. She's your paper. I'm a citizen of the United States. Oh, yeah. Sure. I am. So is Fidel Castro. I'm a citizen of the United States. I don't think he is. See ya.
Anyway, I'm just saying. How are you? I'm a citizen of the United States. Privet. You want me to show you my birth certificate? Yeah, I'd like to see that. Do you have an abbreviation for my birth certificate? BC. You don't need to take this from her. Do you need to see my MBC? I don't need to see the MBC, just the BC. Just the BC. Mexican? Oh my gosh. The MBC, the Mexican birth certificate. Yes, that's what it is. Sabrina. What does LOL mean if it's not like that loud? It means like or love. Like, do you like it or do you love it? That's what you now use LOL for. Do you like it or love it? Yeah, and the people that use it are kind of lame. Really? So you would never be caught dead using LOL? I would not. There's a couple things that I use, but... What? Like what? Do you want me to teach you some of the new ones? Yeah, I want to know cool abbreviations. We want to be cool. You guys want to be cool. Okay, you can use these in conversation or you can just use them like over text. Okay, so if I'm texting somebody, I want to communicate this. Okay. This one, you can either, like, just say it as a word, or you can use the letters. What is it? It's Waimoo. Waimoo? Waimoo. W-A-I-M-O-O. W-A-Y-W-A-I-M-W. Okay. What is Waimoo? It's, what am I missing out on? Waimoo.
So, like, if Jay and I went surfing, and then Mikey was at home, and he could just text me, why moo? Yeah, why moo? Genius. OMG, you guys are at the mall, why moo? OMG, you guys are at the club, why moo? Wow. I guess it works. Totally, and it saves a lot of character. You got more, Sabrina? I have plenty more. You want to know more? I want to know more. This is a good one for you guys. What is it? YGASFS. Wait, that's long. That's a very long. Oh, that's not even a long one. Wait, what is it again? YGASFS. YGASFS. I have no idea what that could possibly be. What is that? It's, you guys are so freaking stupid. That one would be used a lot. So I would just say that to Woodsy if I was mad at him. I would say, you guys are so freaking stupid. Or, like, I could text you guys for always making fun of my voice. I could say YGA, SFS. Yeah, SFS. And we'd be like, I'll tell you why, because...
Tell you why we are, because you talk like that. We text that back to you. Yeah, well, this one, this is longer, and I'm not going to use the word that I would say for this, because the FCC would be like bleep, but you could say T-I-T-L-I-I-H-E-H. Really? No. T-I-T-L-I-I-H-E-H. Really? You actually use these? You would text that. Oh, yeah. I use them more in text, but I'm not going to say it because, you know. You can't say those first. Right. You can't say that. But that is the lamest idea I have ever heard. T-I-T-L-I-I-H-E-H. Why would you ever have a moment to want to text that, though? Because I'm just like, I'm so busy. I'm at the mall. You're trying to, like, tell me this stupid idea about whatever. And I'm like, oh, my gosh. T-I-T-L-I-I-H-E-H. That is so long and unnecessary. That's amazing. I've got much longer. How would somebody know that that's what you were saying? They'd almost have to keep something on them to know. No, you just get used to it. How do you know what OMG stands for, WTF, or BTW, XYI, TTYL? You can almost figure it out. Well, do you want to know any more? Yes, I do. Okay. Okay, here's a good one. J-S-Y-K-T-I-T-N-I-S-A.
You're laughing because you know what that means, don't you? I do not know what that means. It's just so you know that it's totally not in style anymore. Like when I wore my cargo shorts. Right. I'd be like, J-S-Y-K-T-I-T-N-I-M-A. I'm so overwhelmed. I would have thought somebody butt dialed, butt texted me. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. You send that all the time to your friends. Yeah. And, like, here's one that I say. I say it to my dad when I'm really mad or I say it to my friends when I can't go. what I want, I'm like, I-W-I-W-P-H. I-W-I. I-W-I-I-W-P-H. I wish I... Oh, you could, Sienna. I-W-I. I can't remember this so long. I'm going to try to figure it out. I-W-I-W-P-H. W-P-H. I wish I would... Please. Hormone. I wish I was Paris Hilton. I do. You are a smelly pirate hooker. Oh my gosh. Who's that? That's hot. I wish I were Paris Hilton. Yes.
occasion to send that to people? Yeah, well, I usually say it to my dad. I'm like, Dad, I-W-I-W-P-H. And he looks at you like you're speaking Greek. And he's like, go to your room, Sabrina. I really want to try and figure them out now. Sabrina still lives at home. Yeah. For the summer. For the summer. She goes to UCLA. She goes to UCLA. She's 21 and likes to drink Kahlua by the pool. Absolutely, until my stupid little brother steals it, and then we all know what happens. Well, hey, we're making progress. Last week you called him your stupid little fat brother, so I think it's nice that we're making progress. It is a little chubby. Yeah, so we're making progress. Jacob, he's gay. Yeah, he's gay. Little Jacob. He did come out of his life. He told her in confidence that he was, and then she broadcasted it here on FM 94.9. Little gay Jacob. Little gay Jacob. All right, well, that's super. I like to call him Jennifer just to mess with us. Okay, that's pretty crazy. So I have, I'll give you two more. She calls him LGJ sometimes too. Yeah, LGJ. That's lame, Mike. Sorry, listen. It needs to be 15 letters, okay? I don't do IPH. I wish I were a pair of something. I'm going to give you guys two more. Go ahead. Okay, actually, yeah. I'm going to give you two more and I'm going to see if you can guess. J-B-I-S-T-S-E.
J-B-I-S-T-S-E. B-I-S-T-S-E. Just because. T-S-E. J-B-E. She's so irritated at you right now. I can't do it. She's so irritated. I can't even write it down. J-B-I-S-T-S-E. Just because I said. No. So way off. Jacob. No. Nope. You're close. Jam. Justin Bieber is so totally super cute. He's so totally super cute. That is so lame. That is not. Okay, first of all, for that was, you could just say T-I-T-L-I-I-H-E-H or L-I-I-H-E-H. Oh, yeah. That is the lamest idea I've ever heard. T-T-L-I-I-I-H-E-H. So this one, this is the last one. I doubt you guys are going to get it. It's a little inside. My friends know it. My family knows it. And I hope that my dad is listening right now because this one's for him. What is it? It's M-D-I-A-T-M-T-M-W-W-A-I-W-D-I-B-A-S. I give up. That is an abbreviation you're telling me? That's an acronym. That's an acronym. Let me hear it one more time. Okay. M-D-I-A-T-M-T-M-W-W-A-I-W-D-I-B-A-S. You text all that? You remember that? I say it to my dad.
Oh, my God. Really, Sabrina? What in the hell does that stand for? My dad is a total moron that makes me work when all I want to do is be a socialite. I really think, though, that I've gotten one that I'm going to use, and it's Waimu. Waimu. What am I missing out on? Waimu. What am I missing out on? Waimu is so... I mean, you better hurry up and use it, because it's going to be out soon. How's the party? Waimu. Waimu. Oh, you're at the beach. Waimu. Oh, my gosh. I was going to say that, Mike. That's so great. You're getting it. Waimu. What's the weather like? Yeah, what's the weather going to be like today, Sabrina? That's what you do. You're our weather girl. Oh. I don't know. What do you mean you don't know? That's your job. I think it's going to be cloudy. You think it's going to be cloudy. Yeah, I got too caught up. I was supposed to be looking stuff up on Twitter, and then I got caught up doing these acronyms. Oh, for goodness sake. It's her job, man. It's cloudy. It's supposed to be nicer tomorrow. Oh, see?
There you go. Yeah. Well, we'll find out. Maybe Sienna just does the weather, though. No. Anybody think it's weird that she came in here today in a bikini? Isn't that just kind of strange? I thought it was going to be nice. A little bit. She's actually in high heels. I liked it. Why move? Why move? Why move? What am I missing out on? Is the harp in this song? It can be. It sounds like it. It certainly can be. Wow! That sounds good. Incredible mashup. I love it. DJ Mike. That's right. What I'm going to tell you next may change everything you ever thought about the five second rule. So don't go away. I will tell you.

My first kiss went a little like this and twist and twist. My first kiss went a little like this and twist. That kid is real popular right now. Who's that? Kesha. That's a dude. This is the number one alternative song in the country right now. It's from 30H3. Yeah. 30H3. My first kiss with Kesha on it. That's alternative? Yeah, that's what they said. Maybe I move. You guys ever hear guitars or anything? Drums? They're just making millions, you know. Maybe write your own song. They're probably saying the same thing deal. Playing guitar. Biting the air. Catchy. What's it? He just won't. Dude, I don't like it. You love it. It's terrible. What? You like it a lot. I thought it was Justin Bieber when it came on. I thought that was a joke. I thought that was a dude from, what do you call it? Jersey Shore. Really? Didn't I? Didn't.
I saw you had season one on DVD. Do I? Never. The missus, maybe. Don't forget Independence Jam. Independence Jam tickets are $30. It covers everything. How great is that? It'll be rad. It'll be awesome. August 29th? Yeah. It's awesome. What? No miss. Hi. Are you missing something? Nope. Let's see. Oh, five second row? Okay. If you drop something on the floor, it's okay to eat it. We've all done it. Yeah. Every day. L.O.B. probably has not. No, I said God made dirt and dirt don't hurt. She eats right from the ground. Of course she does. Lick it up. She pulls corn right from the stalk. She eats it. Tomatoes out of the ground. Roots and all. One of the examples they gave here saying if it's okay or not okay, I actually did like two weeks ago and we talked about on the air. Well, there's certain things you cannot. Oh, yeah. It doesn't matter. There's certain things you drop on the floor, you can't eat it. Rice.
Yeah. Can't eat rice if you drop it on the floor. Because, Woods, you can't do that. That's so filthy. Bologna, okay. I love bologna. Fry it in a pan with one fried egg and put it on a sandwich. Oh, yeah, and the yolk runs out and the fried bologna. I like the Oscar Mayer bologna that comes in the little, you just peel off that yellow lid. Yes. So good. Or just a cold bologna with American cheese and a little bit of mayonnaise. Bologna with mayonnaise and a little bit of mustard on white bread. Yes, Wonder Bread. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's good. Repugnant. That's so good. And some Ruffles potato chips. Maybe a pickle. Well, a couple weeks ago, you guys may remember me talking about how I dropped my bagel. Yeah. In my driveway. That's right. You ate it. I ate it. Of course I did. She ate it. It's so awesome. She's pregnant. Do you think the five-second rule... applied there? Do you think it was okay that I ate it or not okay? Not okay. I think it was okay. I think it was absolutely okay. Was there anything on it? Any sort of spread? I had peanut butter and jelly. Not okay. Did it touch?
The peanut butter jelly didn't touch. It landed on the bread. You'd be in the same category as a Wolverine. I dropped it on... You'd be a coyote if you ate that. Like coyotes would go, you're disgusting. If the little pebbles got in the peanut butter. If you dropped it face down with the peanut butter or the jelly, coyotes would go, you're filthy. You're a disgusting human being. It's okay. It's okay that I ate it. However, they say if I had dropped it in the kitchen... It would not have been okay. Why? Yeah, because apparently outside, there's, like, stuff just gets washed away because of rain and whatever. Like, what kind of stuff am I going to eat in my kitchen that's bad? Oh, you don't want to know. Salmonella, bacteria that can remain, you know, there for weeks, months. Jalapeno seeds. Bacteria from uncooked meat that may have spread. It's a lot of sauce. Chicken juices. And... Beans. That stuff is worse than the soil bacteria that's outside. I believe it. Little pieces of tortilla chips everywhere. This would be really bad. What? If you ever ate something that fell on the floor of a bathroom. Ew. I think I've done it. What? I had a great story for you. Basically, they wanted to write in bold, in capitals, do not eat anything from the floor of the bathroom. What about eating in the bathroom? Is that okay? No, it would. First girl I ever dated.
This was her dad's favorite story to tell. When she was four years old, they went camping, and they stopped at a gas station so that everybody could go to the bathroom. And she went barefoot into the bathroom. They're driving. They get in the car. They start driving away. He looks in the rearview mirror, and she's sucking on her foot. Oh, my. Dude. Ew. There's her foot in her mouth. You know what doesn't happen to you? The guy that puts shoes on his kid. Oh my gosh. Maybe throw some shoes on her. That's disgusting. That is so gross. Why would she be staking your foot, period? She's a little kid. They do that kind of weird stuff. Do weird stuff. Yeah, that's disgusting. That is so gross. Is it as disgusting as eating a bowl of cereal on the toilet? No, they're right up there with each other. That picture, I would like to post that picture. How could you possibly do that? How could you possibly? I was hungry and I had to go. I know, but aren't you, the two things? They cannot coexist. You've never eaten a sandwich in there? No, Woods. You've never eaten a bag of chips? Uh-uh. A bag of peppers in there for yourself? No. A piñata? The mariachi band? You've never taken an enchilada in the bathroom.
No, because it stinks, and when you eat, you have to smell when you eat. That's what your sense of taste comes from. I've probably eaten in there. You've eaten in the bathroom. Yeah, I'm sure I've had like a chip, something like that. Your sense of taste comes from your sense of smell. Agreed. Yuck. Is that perfect? Not to mention. No, I'm not perfect. We just don't like that smell. I drop roses, okay? When I eat, I don't want that smell. At all. I don't want E. coli on my cereal. I want them completely separate. What if you were starving? I was starving. Yeah, I'd probably famish. You know, I'd get famished. If I left the cereal out, it was going to get soggy. So it was either eat or be wasteful. You know what? It was either poop or get off the pot, basically, is what it came down to. That's exactly what it was. You realized. Oh. I couldn't just put the cereal down. It would have gotten all soggy. We couldn't do it. Control yourself. What's your plan a little farther out? What's his wife, Jamie, has a picture of him on her cell phone sitting on the toilet eating the world's biggest bowl of cereal on the toilet? This thing was massive. And it was not a random occurrence. It was a regular occurrence. No, it was random. I don't do it all the time. I've done it a couple times. I've eaten sandwiches in there before. You know what? Maybe plan ahead. Maybe don't worry about it.
Sometimes it just hits you. Get an organizer. Sometimes you got to go. Do not go in there. Sometimes you don't eat. Maybe you kill two birds with one stone. Maybe you just kill a bird at a time. A bird in the hand. So disgusting. Filther. Filther. Okay. Are we done with that? Five second rule. If it falls in the kitchen or the bathroom, don't eat it. If it falls outside, you're golden. Have you ever done this, Mike? Do you do a lot of grilling and stuff? Guarantee you no. Have you ever dropped a steak on the floor? No. I have, and I had to wash it off because I'm not throwing away a steak. I've done that. I know, but you're washing off all the flavor. I know. You're washing the flavor? But you're also washing all the doo-doo off of it. Yeah, but you can throw it on a grill anyway. No, no, no. After I cooked it. When you buy... After I cooked it, I was like, no! No! I call it a loss. It's a loss. After you cook it, then you wash it off? I washed it off. I was like... You're washing the flavor out. I'm eating a watery steak. Because... I thought you meant beforehand. No. Oh, I could do that. After you could? No, before. Oh, before I could do it. It was raw. Because it's going on the grill. I worked at Long John Silver's. Weird. And I had a big thing of the drumsticks that was going to drop into the oil. And I dropped it on the floor and I looked around. Okay. Nobody saw it. Dropped them in the oil. You know what? I wouldn't have a problem eating that.
As long as I don't know. Because it was in the fryer. You're fine. It was in the fryer. Everything at Long John's goes in the fryer. Listen, every single place that we like to eat, something gross is happening. Yeah. It's disgusting. Every place we like eating, something bad's gone down. I told you guys when I went to Mexico for a wedding, they... Poured the leftover champagne in people's glasses into a funnel back into the bottle. And we're re-serving it. I won't tell you the things. I was at a wedding. What if someone had the flu? What if someone had the flu? They think maybe the alcohol kills it. I don't know. But they were, I mean, they were right in the back of the funnel pouring glasses back in the bottle. That's so gross. I can't tell you what I've done at restaurants. I don't want to know. None of us want to know. We want to think that you're above it. I was not above it. No. The man eats cereal on the toilet. He's below it. The girl that I was dating, her ex-boyfriend worked in the front of the house. I worked in the back, and he got his. Good thing you don't believe in karma. I know, right? Jeez. Hey, I've got mine, pal. Hey, I got five things you should never put in the dishwasher. One of them is your bologna sandwich. I'll just tell you that straight off the bat. Don't do it. I got five things when we come back.

And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I make up lyrics if I don't know them. Lauren. One of the reasons I don't like paper plate. Wasteful. Woods. I'm a butt grabber. I'm a boob grabber. Zienna. That's why I keep the antibacterial hand gel in my purse at all times. And Jay. There's no doubt in my mind there is only one soulmate for everyone. On FM 94.9. Tonight's 8 o'clock album is Dr. Dog Shame Shame. Five things you should never put in your dishwasher. Your head. Shouldn't put your all clad in here. Pots and pans. All clad. What? I always do. Who doesn't? I'm lazy, I think. You know what doesn't? Settlers in the 1800s. No, they say not to do it. Isn't there some pots and pans that our dishwasher say? They say do not put nonstick, anodized aluminum, cast iron, enameled cast iron. Oh, no, cast iron. Aluminum. Really?
Oh, dude, no. Easy, Emeril Lagasse. Cast iron gets its flavor from coconut. Really? It will rust. So what do you wash it with? Soap and water, that's it. And you barely use soap. Just a little. So won't that water make it rust? It gets its flavor from using it. Won't that water make it rust? Will it not? What? No. Do you use special water? No. It won't because... You can dry it off right away. It's... You know what? You're right. Yeah. No, you're right. Because if you're washing it, what's the difference between that and putting it in the dishwasher? Right. Well, what I'm telling you, though... Is the flavor comes from the... If you put it in the dishwasher, you're taking off everything you've been putting time in. All the bacon grease. Yeah. Pretty much. Oh, wait. Isn't that the deal? You don't do them with soap and water. Aren't you supposed to do it with like a paper towel? I do. I just paper towel mine out. Yeah. And then if I do have to put some water on it, after I get it wet, I immediately put it right back on the stove and bring it up to the temperature. That's what you do. Okay. Okay. So that kills all the bacteria and stuff. Yeah. All right. Huh. But I have my pots and pans. I'll never buy pots and pans again.
If you get all clad, you'll never buy pots and pans again. You'll give them to your kids. Pretty solid. Yeah, you'll give them to your kids. Anything that's made out of wood, do not put in the dishwasher. What? Spoons, salad bowls, chopsticks, cutting boards. I put my wooden spoon in there. Because there's... Rebecca will put anything in the dishwasher. I'll go. This is me and my wife. Sweetheart. Remember the all clad. We can't put the all clad pans. Oh, that's right. Oh, yeah. I do, too. Maybe you do the dishes, and then you don't for a bit. I know. It's always a bit. We'll get it forever. My husband hears that a lot. Yeah. Yeah, do it, Michelle. We all do. And maybe you do the dishes, and then you won't have a problem with the all-clad things. You don't do the dishes? No. No. I don't even know how my dishwasher works. I have no idea. Now, let me ask you. Oh, my gosh. Would you say this to Rebecca? You don't take the garbage out? No. Why wouldn't you say that to her? I think whoever cooks that night, the other person should do the dishes. That's a rule in my house.
Those who cook do not have to clean. That's what my wife always says, but she ends up cleaning anyway. That's me, too. We all do our own dish. You bring it in. Oh, I do that. You rinse it off or put it in. Yeah, but who washes all the pots and pans? The broccoli pots and all your wheat germ pans and all that stuff. Who cleans out the handmade pots that you did out of balsa wood? I just burn those and start all over again. So yeah, the wood has like a sealant over it usually, like if there's a cutting board or a spoon. And if you put it in the dishwasher, it gets so hot that you're melting off that sealant. So then it's going to get splintery and bad. Cutting boards can break. And the germs can seep into the wood. Hope you're listening, babe. Hope you're taking some notes. Stop it. Maybe you do the dishes for once tonight. I'm here being dynamic. Just putting the roof over our head real good, you know? We have chores. Everybody has their different things that they do. I take the garbage out. I did the garbage last night, my friend. That's basically all I do. Me too. And be dynamic. Provide food for your family and stuff. You guys. Yeah, we do that. I wish I had the courage to make the joke. I don't even have the courage.
To make the joke. You'd be safe for that way. You're lucky, though. I mean, I do your jobs and your wife's jobs. Sienna is dynamic, and she does what they do. Because my husband doesn't get home until six, so I have to do all that other stuff. Let me tell you. I'm jealous. Let me tell you. But I'm the big queen. My wife is cooking. Every night. I can't even tell you. I am so in love with that woman. I am so in love with her. Keep milking it. Do you know what she made last night? What? Oh, my gosh. It was so good. You guys know Hawaiian bread, right? Yeah. Does anything taste better? Does anything taste better? Oh, my gosh. That soft Hawaiian bread. It comes in the orange little bag. So soft. Dude, she put this nice hunk of meat in the crock pot. cooked it down, and then put barbecue sauce on it and shredded it and put it on little Hawaiian bread. So much for the vegetarian thing. You know that was over on Friday. Yeah. It's over on Friday. How did she meet that? She didn't eat that, by the way. Yeah, I know. She didn't eat that. That's amazing. She eats the Hawaiian bread, though. You have to eat the Hawaiian bread. Yeah, why didn't you bring some of that in? I had leftovers last night. You'd be right over. Is that it? Some macaroni salad.
No. Doesn't he? Don't I? No. Don't I? Doesn't he? I don't remember the last invite I had. Really? Yeah. If we invited you to dinner. You guys were together like all weekend. Tonight. How about tonight? Can't do tonight. Really? Yeah, is that right? Yeah. Don't put the really nice knives in the dishwasher. Of course not, babe. I mean, I do all these things. I mean, of course not. I do all these things. Yes. Lauren O'Brien. No. I put some knives in there, too. No. No. I'm single, so I got to be dynamic. I got to cook for myself. I got to clean for myself. I got to assemble the furniture. I got to fix the broken washing machine. Nothing makes me crazier than I'm looking for a knife or I'm looking for something and I'm like... I know it's not in that dishwasher. I know it's not in that dishwasher. So I'm going to keep looking because I know it wouldn't be in there. Stop it, Mike. Your wife does a great job. She's amazing, my wife. Listen, I love my wife. She's amazing. Baby, please, we can't put the knives. Mine have little rest spots on them. I just powered down.
I don't buy really nice stuff, though. I buy the mediocre stuff, and I figure if I ruin it, I just upgrade. It's just that if you put the nice knives in there, like the steak knives and stuff, the detergent will cause nicks and scratches on the blade, which will dull it. And also, if you put, like, a huge sharp knife, you can damage the dishwasher rack itself. My brother, he would put steak knives with the blade pointing up. Oh, wow. How many times would I hear him go, ah! Yeah, but you're going to... How many times you got a... What is he, blindfolded when he's unloading the dishwasher? Seriously. He's not paying attention. He's not paying attention. Stab someone. M1 Abel from National City. How's it going? Good, man. My grandma taught me this. We got a bunch of cast irons at our house, and once you're done cooking it, you know, you dry it up, and you get a paper towel, put, like, a couple dabs of oil, like olive oil, whatever. And just wipe it down with that, and it keeps it from rusty and keeps it looking good. Perfect. That's a perfect way. But what about the disgusting bacon grease that's already on there? You wipe it off, dude. You get it off. You do. It should be off. With that, though, it's like people want that flavor always there. Dude, I'm telling you, man, Woodsy, until you have had. I've had it. You've had, like, let me tell you. Dude, I grew up on cast iron breakfast. Oh, yeah. Bacon, eggs. The cast iron. Cast iron skillet, brother.
Fried chicken. Fried potatoes. Fried potatoes. I never knew that you wanted to keep that flavor in there. Oh, yeah. Who knew? My mom used to save the oil, the grease. Oh, yeah. In a thing. And she'd say, you ready to cook? Let's flop it back in there. I used to take it and put a little bit on my hair. Oh. What do they call that process of seasoning? That you got to season the pan. I want to know where to go. Yeah, that's where it is. I want to go. It's all in there. Give me the gold. In the bottom of the pan. Two more things real quick that you should never put in your dishwasher. Crystal or hand-blown glass. And speaking of gold... Hand-blown glass. Like a vase. Don't put any bongs in your dishwasher. Yeah. What kind of hand... Your bong. Besides that... No, a lot of those fancy, like, vases. Vos. Really? Oh, yeah. You mean when you live in the pyramid and the guy's like, before you have dinner, he's like... It's like the multicolored one. Blowing out this big, beautiful something. If you live in Northern California, that is a likely scenario. Blowing it. Mikey's blowing us a salad bowl for dinner. Humble, California is like the glass blowing candle. I wonder why. Lots of vases. Lots of vases that you smoke marijuana cigarettes out of. Lots of sculptures out there. Oh, listen to this one. M1 RoboCop.
is on the 805 South right now. What does your mom put in the dishwasher? She puts my dog's bones in the dishwasher. So filthy. That is the filthiest thing in the world. Why? Come on, there's soap in there. Oh, I know, but your dog was eating it, and then she puts it in there, and then it's going, and now you're drinking out of teacups that your dog's saliva's all over. It's designed to kill germs. Gross, gross, gross, gross, gross. What about when the bone tastes weird? Gross, gross, gross, gross. I was more worried about the dog. Yeah. Eating a soap bone. That's so disgusting. Mike, I have a friend whose mom blends their dog food in their blender that they use. Now that's freaking filthy. Isn't that disgusting? I would do it if I had to. Remind me never to have a smoothie over here. That's the grossest thing. You're drinking a daiquiri with a little alpo in it. She washes the blender, and so she's like, it doesn't stay. And I'm like, oh, gosh. No, it stays. Of course it doesn't. It's disgusting. Why would anyone ever think that it would stay? Trace amounts of alpo. The last thing that is listed not to put in your dishwasher, and I may need to, you know, abide by this, gold trim dishes. Diamonds and sapphires. Wash off the flecks of gold. Yes, you will. Can't have that. Hillary just came in. Hi, Hill.
How are you? I'm good. How are you doing? Well, we love our cast iron skillet, but my stepdad is an ovo-lacto-pescatarian. Oh, my gosh. What, what, what, what? Oh, my gosh. Say it again. He's an ovo-lacto-pescatarian. Novo-lacto-pescatarian. Ovo. All it means is he's a vegetarian, but he eats dairy and eggs and fish. But he doesn't need any other chicken or anything. Does he tell people, hi, I'm an over-elective? No, no, I assume. No, when he goes, like, if he goes to, you know, Applebee's, he goes, I'm an over-elective pescatarian. So do you have an oval active friendly pescatarian dish? Get the hell out of here. Just get out of here. Do you have an oval active pescatarian menu? That is brutal. Yeah, on the airplane. I like the oval active pescatarian meal. No, so he has a tiny, and he's really into Asian food. He lived in Asia for years. And so he has this tiny little cast iron skillet, and it never leaves my mom's stove. But he cooks.
all this fish in it and like Asian sauces and funky food. And so every time I go home and he leaves it there. Yeah. And my mom finally gave up. She's like, I give up. I can't. It's a battle not worth fighting. So you walk into her kitchen and it's like, it's fish smell. Rebecca would freak out. It's so, it takes like a couple of days to get used to. Let me tell you something. That's disgusting. Let me tell you. Sean, who used to be on the show. Oh, God. I miss him. Can't go a day, can we? Love that guy. He had a neighbor who put an oven in his garage, and they used to walk, you know, have a walk. In the garage? In the garage. And so everyone in the neighborhood would smell, and they opened the garage door, everyone in the neighborhood would smell fish being walked in the walk. Disgusting. I wish Sean and his neighbor were here right now. Me too. Love that guy. He's a great guy. Moment of silence for Sean. What? What do you got coming up today, Hill? Well, again, my first song is a leftover request from yesterday. It's a Led Zeppelin song I think I've never played on the radio before. Also, New Dr. Dog, that record that I just can't get enough of. That's tonight's 8 o'clock album. Yeah, that's awesome. Everybody should totally listen. I love it. Still haven't had to listen yet. So good.
Yeah, that's right. And the police, Mumford & Sons, some Radiohead. Sweet. All right. Mike, can I wish a happy birthday to somebody? Yes, you may. To M1 Frank. I just wanted to say happy birthday. Right on. And enjoy your day. How old is M1 Frank today? 29. There you go. Happy birthday, M1 Frank. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. And we'll come back tomorrow morning at 6, and we'll do the whole thing all over again. Mike and Shows out later. Lincoln Financial Media Station. Mikey in the Morning. About the music all day and night. It's about the music.
