and show. And it is Monday and we're ready to go. 570-1949 is our number. Officially into summer and you can tell. Beautiful weekend. Should be another beautiful day today. Welcome. Got so much to talk about. A lot of like gigantic news happening over the weekend. So we'll get to all of it. Want to let you know that the word of the day is spoof. So when I say spoof, between now and 10, if you're Caller 9, you get Kid Rock Cheryl Crow tickets at Cricket Wireless. They're going to be there August 2nd, which is really soon. Also, want to remind you that the countdown is on. The countdown is officially on for the Wipeout Viewing Party at Dave & Buster's. It's going to be July 28th from 7 to 9.
Should be awesome. Awesome. Yeah, it's Jay. It's Woods. They were on a nationally broadcast show, and it's going to be nationally broadcast for the first time on Thursday. Three days, 13 hours, 56 minutes until the Wipeout Viewing Party at Dave & Buster's, where we will be there from 7 to 9 p.m. Going to give away Dave & Buster's power cards. It's going to be great. We want everyone to come out and join us. Yep, it's kid-friendly. Yeah, it is. Okay, so what else do I have to tell you? I'm Mikey, that's Woodsy, that's L-O-B, that's Jay, and our phone screener is Chris. That's crap. Now, Amy Winehouse was the big, big news over the weekend. Amy Winehouse, dead at the age of 27. And it's really, really sad. My wife said, you know, that she was one of the people that my wife has genuinely thought to herself, she will probably die from this. There's a little Amy right now. British, 27 years old, and now joins...
jimmy hendrix janice joplin jim morrison uh and brian jones brian jones kurt cobain to die at the age of 27 weird i wonder what's up with that age that was one of my craziest uh years of my life jay and i were talking about it on uh on saturday and we came up with a theory that You're still young enough to think that you can do all the stuff that you used to get away with, but your body starts slowing down a little bit. You can't adapt like it used to at 27. Yeah. It blows up. Yeah, it blows up on you. Could be it. But, you know, she's addicted to heroin. She did a show. She did a show. Well, first of all, let me start from the beginning. Here's what the Metro Police in England said. They found a woman deceased on arrival. body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene, inquiries into the circumstance of the death, continue at this early stage. It's being treated as unexplained. She canceled her tour last month, and she's been struggling with substance abuse. And then last month, on the 18th of June, she was booed off the stage in Belgrade because she showed up more than an hour late to the show.
She repeatedly left the stage mid-performance, forgot the lyrics to her own songs, and even dropped the mic. 20,000 people were there. They booed her. She left the stage. And apart from planning on touring, I guess she was working on a new record the time all this happened. Now, before they discovered her body on Saturday, if you're just tuning in... Amy Winehouse found dead at 27 years old. And then early on Saturday, her management team released a statement saying this. Now, this is before they knew she was dead and before she had been discovered. Her management team said, Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best. And she will be given as long as it takes. For this to happen. So there you go. 27 years old. What a shame. She's so young and so talented. 570-1949 is the number. And if you want to text in, you can do that. 949mikey at gmail.com. Woods, were you like my wife? Did you think that it was going to be... Did you think that it was going to be...
that we would hear this eventually? Yeah, a matter of time. See, I guess I was a little naive to it. I knew she had her issues, but I thought she'll be like a Scott Weiland type that just sort of works it out. There's upper echelon of drug users, and she's in that upper echelon of just heavy. There's some people it looks like they can maintain. She was not one of them. Now, I have had that thought about Lindsay. I've had that thought about Lindsay because maybe I just hear more about Lindsay than I do hear about Amy Winehouse. But I've had the thought about Lindsay because Lindsay refuses to give it up. She won't give it up. I bet Lindsay just can maintain through it. She looks like the kind can party on. Yeah. We'll see. But Amy Winehouse was very young. When I heard about it, it was Saturday morning. And, yeah, I was. I was surprised. Shocked. She should have said yes, yes, yes. Yeah, she should have. I was waiting for that. Yeah, no doubt. Well, you know Jay was going to be the one to say it. Yes. Wouldn't be any of us. I thought it. Well, yeah. Every person in the world. My dad thought it. He didn't even know who Amy Winehouse is. Exactly. Right. There are people that don't speak English that thought it. Mm-hmm. I was surprised there were still 20,000 people that wanted to go see her. Jay. She's gone, Jay. Kick somebody when they're dead. They're not even down. They're dead. They're dead. Won't hurt her feelings.
She was really talented. Wow. Yeah, whoa. Whoa. Well, of course, whoa. I mean, it's heavy duty to, you know. She's gone. Whoa. Jay. I don't care. They're going to love me. You're going to do, mate. Y'all don't get it. I can say whatever the hell I want. I got impunity. I'm like a diplomat from another country. I get pulled over. I don't even get a ticket. Y'all get it? Because I'm Jay. There she is in 2004 being interviewed by MTV. I have a slow connection to the internet. Good thing it didn't drive me crazy or anything. Otherwise it'd be bad. But I'm very patient with it. Play! I want children, I want kids to listen to my music and think, I can write whatever I want to write. I don't have to sound like Dido. I don't have to sound like Robbie Williams. And I certainly don't have to go on Pop Idol.
to be able to write music. And that's all I do my work for. You know, I would like real music to come through. Maybe real music will never really come through, but just for people that are growing up in the time that I'm doing music, I would hate them to think that you have to sound like someone else to get somewhere. Very sad. Again, that was her on MTV back in 04. I really don't know any other song besides Rehab. Me neither. The album was Back to Black. That was the big album. That's a title track. It's a good song. No talent? None. He's a good singer. Poor thing. Well, there's the news. Amy Winehouse dead at 27. 570-1949 is the number if you want to give us a call. Woodsy has some pretty good news. Man, it looks like this lockout is over. Today will be the day.
That the players sign off on the deal, which is great. I mean, that's what we wanted. The only thing it's going to affect, they're going to cancel the Hall of Fame game. That's it. Still going to have four preseason games per team. And so here's what's going to go down today. They were working until the wee hours of the morning to get this thing done. And now they're saying that training camps, facilities will open as early as tomorrow. Training camps will begin Thursday for 10 teams. Friday for another 10. And then over the weekend, the remaining 12 teams will start. Now, also, free agency, my friend, could start as early as tomorrow. It's going to be a whirlwind. Well, this is what I want to know. What about rookies? Are they signed? Yeah, they've got to sign them. No, they're not signed. They can't sign those guys yet. They can't have any contact with those guys. No, what I'm saying is they signed the CBA today. Tomorrow. They'll be working on getting those guys signed. That's the problem, though. I know. In a normal season... Oh, they're done. Or they're holding out. In a normal season, there are still plenty of guys holding out right now. Oh, yeah. And so they're going to start tomorrow or today from point zero? Yep. Okay. Yep. It's going to be, like I said, it's going to be a whirlwind. Every story I do for probably the next three weeks will be about free agency in the NFL. All right. Has it affected you?
Woodsy, in terms of your fandom, are you cool? You're excited to get the season going? I'm excited. I'm excited. I had a little nervousness this morning reading about it. I was like, all right, football is back. I'm ready. I'm ready for college football. I'm ready for pro football. Now that I know it's going to happen, it's going to be awesome. Let's see. Oh, Comic-Con wrapped up. And the big things that happened, and if you had fun at Comic-Con and you want to talk about Comic-Con, you want to talk about anything, you can call us. 570-194-9. Steven Spielberg was probably the biggest name that was there. This was kind of a funny story. Apparently, there was a fan of The Adventures of Tintin there at Hall H. Woods almost, well, not almost. Woods looked irritated. I just looked at him. Just the name, The Adventures of Tintin, seemed to evoke feelings of irritation on Woods. Is that a dog? What is that? It's a movie. I don't know.
Anyway, so this guy is there in Hall H, and he had on a T-shirt that said, if possible, I would love to meet Steven Spielberg just to shake his hand and say thank you very much. That's what his T-shirt said. And Spielberg did that, and he also surprised the guy, Peter Jackson, the director of Lord of the Rings, and King Kong was their surprise guest. And they took a picture with this kid, and the kid was happy. Francis Ford Coppola was there. Wow. Steven Soderbergh. Cowboys and Aliens stars. I'm in. Weird. I want to see it. Me too. Have fun. Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, they were there with Calista Flockhart, by the way. He went to my high school. Wow. Here you go. Jon Favreau. Nice. Olivia Wilde. They were all out there. Does anybody have any input? What do you want to tell me about Comic-Con? What does the con stand for? Convention. Comic-Con. Comic-Con. Comic-Con. Let me rock it. Let me rock it. Sorry, I got caught up in it. It's easy to do. Let's see. M1 Whitney from San Diego. He got to work at Comic-Con and I met a lot of famous people. Wow. Yeah. Two of them actually being...
Kevin Conroy, who does the voice of Batman, and then Mark Hamill. Wait a minute. The voice of Batman? Yeah, he did the voice for Arkham City Batman, the new video game that's coming out, Arkham Asylum, and then the ninth animated Batman series. That guy can walk unnoticed in Vons. Oh, yeah. He's so cool. And CD-ing to both of them. And then I also got to meet the cast of True Blood. Look at you. Oh, wow. Now that's a good one. I'm in. Look at you. That's cool. And, well, there you go. Did you have to dress up? No, I was working, but I really wanted to. I bet you nobody asked you for your number all weekend. So that must have been a nice change of pace. Yes. We don't know. Maybe somebody did. Maybe somebody did. Did anybody ask you for your number? No. No. Yeah. All right. Nerds need love, too. Oh, wow. Why don't you guys give it a break? I mean.
You've touched upon this nerd aspect of it, whatever. I'm in. Hey, no. Whatever floats your boat. Are you? I don't know. Well, thank you, Whitney. We appreciate it. Yeah. Thank you. M1 Leonidas from La Mesa. How are you? It's cracking, Mike. You love you guys. Love the show. Love you. You know, you're just dynamic in every way, buddy. Thank you, dude. Let me give you this. Oh, yeah. Spartans! Lay down your weapons! Persons! Come and get them! There you go. All right. What's going on, Leonidas? I want to do 5,000 push-ups now. Thank you. Hey, just come on and talk about Comic-Con. And if you've never been... Well, Mikey, you guys actually went down there, so you know. It's one big nerd fest. It's people there for many different things. Gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, comic books, art. Everything. Everything. Mm-hmm. I had a chance to meet Jon Favreau. Classic. That guy couldn't be nicer. Really?
There's so many off-site events and weird scavenger hunts. You kind of have to be at the right place at the right time. I was able to score a golden brick to go see the Cowboys and Aliens movie premiere at the Civic Center. It was awesome. That's cool. That's very cool. It's way cool. I got to meet Chris Evans, Captain America. Tall guy, nice guy. Great movie, by the way. I mean, there's so many things to do and see there. It's just amazing. Like I said, it's a nerd fest. Captain America, I think, was the number one movie at the box office this weekend. It was. It didn't disappoint. It kind of leads right up to the whole Avengers ensemble. There's going to be like a whole string of them, right? A whole string of movies? Yeah, it's supposed to be like an 11-picture deal between all the Avengers single movies and then the Avengers movie itself. It's going to be insane. A lot of money. There's a lot of dough. A lot of money involved. And then you get to see so many panels of upcoming events. A lot of TV and television were there this year. Hollywood kind of stayed out of it a little bit, but they did surprise with Tintin, Steven Spielberg's first time there at the convention, Peter Jackson's first time there. You're really a good Comic-Con correspondent. He's our guy next year. Next year, you're our guy, for sure. Definitely, man. I got to hang out with Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself. How was he? Was he nice? That guy likes to drink beer, and that guy is nice as can be. There you go.
Wow. There you go. Inside scoop. Yeah. Three movies in Star Wars and Corvette Summer. There you go, Mark. I know it. There you go. That guy does more voiceover work than anything. I bet he does. He also cuts lawns. Yes, he does. He has his own landscaping service. And on any of that, you can just... Absolutely. There you go. Thank you very much, Leonidas. We love you. That was rad. There you go. Spartans! Lay down your weapons! Persia! Come and get them! Now, what are they saying right now on the television about Heath Bell? The life of Carlos Beltran and the Mets. All right, now let's focus on the pitchers now. Padres closer Heath Bell could play a huge role in the playoff race. What's the buzz with Bell? Kevin, I actually spoke to Heath Bell yesterday, and it's obvious he thinks he's getting traded. He told me he packed an extra big suitcase for this road trip, and he's got another suitcase packed at home that his wife is going to mail him.
if he gets traded, because he didn't know if he was going to be going on this trip for a week or for the last two months of the season. Now, the buzz around the Padres is that he's most likely to go to Texas or Philadelphia, but his manager, Bud Black, told me yesterday, don't be surprised if the Padres hold on to both him and Mike Adams, his primary setup man. Now, I don't think that's going to happen, but here's the Padres' position. If they lose Heath Bell to free agency, they would get two real high draft picks. And unless they get the equivalent of that in return for Heath Bell, they know he'd love to stay and they will keep him. Again, I don't think that's going to happen, but it's an indication they're going to drive a hard bargain on Heath Bell or they're going to hang on to him. All right, we're going to keep an eye on this. Padres ever get rid of guys that are the greatest players on the team. It's building for the future. Yeah. Future may never come. It's always just building for the future. Always. Maybe he'll stay. I hope. You know, as we were getting off the air on Friday, the deal happened in Norway where this guy attacked and killed at least 84 people in Norway. And then hours later, they believe that he was also responsible for setting off a bomb in Oslo, which is...
You know, the big city there in Norway. 32 years old. Anders Breivik is his name. And a nut job. Clearly a nut job. Opened up a Twitter account just days before and only tweeted one thing. He says, one person with a belief is equal to the force of 100,000 who have only interests. Anyway, just a very sad story. And he killed a lot of kids because it was at like a youth camp that he started shooting at. And, you know, just terrible. Hillary Clinton condemned it. And, you know, the whole world has come out and just said how terrible it is. But it happened on Friday, like I said, right when we were starting to get off the air. So just a very sad situation.
One of the creepiest things I heard about that was he was dressed as a police officer. Yes, he was, yeah. So he would say to the kids, you know, that were hiding, it's okay, come out, I'm here to help you. Oh, that's terrible, that's terrible. Awful, awful, awful, awful stuff. Just a very sad situation. But I do have a really cool thing to tell you about that will make you feel so good. You know, with all the sad stuff that happened over the weekend, we actually have something that will make you feel really good. that happened at a baseball game, at a Brewers game. And it's kind of a feel-good story. It's a be different type story. Speaking of be different, be different was something that I did that I thought, you know, my son is high-functioning autistic. And I started to think about, oh, I don't want him to grow up in a world that's so terrible. But no matter what, we can't avoid the world. But one thing that I thought about was, well, what if I did this thing?
where I do a wristband. It's a black wristband with white letters. And it's BeDifferentPact.org. And it's a pact of kindness. It's a pact of love and thinking of other people before we think of ourselves and just being kind. And we have a lot of, speaking of Heath Bell, Heath Bell is one of the guys that's part of the Be Different Pact. And you can be a part of the Be Different Pact. Just go to BeDifferentPact.org. But speaking of it, John Foreman from Switchfoot is now one of the new people that's on BeDifferentPack.org. You can see his picture. Who else? Ryan Matthews, former lead guitar player for Korn. Head is on there. Sonny from POD. Like I said, Heath Bell. And we're adding new people all the time. But it's a really cool reminder of the Blackwrist Band. You see it, and then it kind of says, oh, yeah, I'm in this pact with a bunch of people that says I'm going to be cool to this person instead of yelling at them on the freeway or when you're standing in line at a grocery store and you want to get upset. That's what BeDifferentPact.org is. And so check it out. It's pretty cool, you know, and you just go there and fill out your name and we'll send you a wristband. So anyway, this is a great Be Different story.
This kid is at a baseball game, at a Brewers baseball game. And this story will fill your heart. It's such a cool thing that this kid did. So we'll tell you all about that. We'll tell you about what's having a pee in a bottle and why. And it's all coming up next. Show coming up. I think we have it. Be a part of the show. 570-1949. Washington. Brewers game, Brewers versus the Diamondbacks. Ball is hit and this Diamondbacks kid fan at the Brewers game gets it and drops it. And a Brewers fan next to him, a little kid, another, you know, so two kids, picks it up and hands it back to him. How sweet is that? Take a listen to this as they were calling the game. There's nothing better when you go to the ballpark to get in a souvenir. Oh, look at that young Brewers fan. Now, wait a minute. He is. Did he get? Oh, boy. He is sour. He is sour. The Diamondback fan got it. Oh, he's bummed out. Are you kidding me? This kid's going to do this? That is big time right there. Oh, my goodness. What a nice young man. Well, he's got a Diamondbacks hat, but we have to get something for that kid in the red. We've got to do something for the kid in the red. You, young man, are a star. You, young man, are awesome. Okay, so I had it backwards. It's a Brewers game. Brewers fan catches it. accidentally drops it. The little kid next to him is a Diamondbacks fan. He picks it up, and instead of keeping it himself, hands it back, and they interview him after the game. Listen to this sweet kid. I dropped it, and I... Oh.
Oh, please. Oh, with the internet. Oh, with it. I dropped it, and I felt pretty sad. And then this young man, Ian, you got the ball, you went up there, and then what did you think about it? I thought it was the right thing to do just to give the ball back to the little kids. Wow, that was a pretty cool thing. Well done right there. And then when you got the ball back, you went from sadness to what? Happy. How sweet is that? That's awesome. I love stories like that. You don't hear them very often. And grown-ups, you know, we need to be more like that. Be a proud parent, see that happen. Oh, for sure. I would. So, Friday, Jay and Woods went ziplining. Okay? You didn't come with us? No, I didn't want any part of it. I didn't want any part of the ziplining experience. A fat local radio host lost his life on Friday when the zipline he was on could not support his weight. Ride is set to be able to support up to 200 pounds. But unfortunately, the squat Mexican was much more than that. Squat. So Jay and Woods went ziplining. Where in, you guys, it's just in Fresno, right? You had to drive to Fresno. Rightwood. Two hours. Rightwood, California. San Francisco, California. It was in Rightwood.
Jay, did you drive up there? I rode with Adam. We were all going to ride together, but the kid wanted to blast some cigs and listen to his own music. I needed some me time. I needed some time with the drive and some music and just by myself. Windows down, sweaty, no air conditioner. Yeah. You don't have air conditioning in your car? No. Oh, wow, Woodsy. Brutal. Oh, wow, Woods. So they're driving up there, and Woods text messaged me and said, Jay made me pee in a bottle. And I said, what? And the deal was is that Woods texted Jay on the drive up and said, we have to pull over. I have to go wee-wee. And Jay said, we ain't stopping. Pay in a bottle? We're on a schedule. We're on a schedule. That's exactly what he said. We're on a schedule. We can't stop. So poor Woods had to go in a bottle. Poor Woods. Who's a big boy? Who went potty before we left? Isn't it like a two-hour ride? Yes. And with no AC, just pounding water. You know, just drinking water, water, water. Jay is the ultimate dad. Oh, the ultimate D is more likely. The rest of us didn't have to stop and go. You want me to turn this thing around? I will. You went at my house before we left. No, I didn't. Yeah, you did. You walked to my house in your socks. No, I didn't. I did not go at your house. I went in, I talked to your wife, talked to your kid. You should have gone then. But I didn't. Well, next time I'll ask you. You had to go in a bottle. Yes, I did. Why don't you just...
Get directions, though, and then just go there. Because I would have never found this. And L.O.B., you know that. Yeah. And if you're late after this long drive. They bail. They leave without you. The tour leaves. Yeah, they go on tour. So, like, happy birthday. We're going to pull over for you. So we missed our tour. We barely made it. I mean, we skated right in. Oh, wow. So I had to do what I had to do. I was a bad Blake. How many feet up in the air are you? Well, that's a good question. At one point, on the highest point, you're 300 feet above the ground. Yeah. Because when I hit that platform, he goes, do you know how high you are right now? Or how high you just were? And I said, no. And he goes, 306 feet. Wow, that's awesome. And you were going 45 to 50 miles an hour. Over two miles of zip lines. Yes. You zip between trees from platform to platform. That is so fun. You repel down to other platforms. It's gnarly. You should have seen woods on a... Skybridge? Skybridge. He was like an old man. No, no. I don't like heights. I don't like the skybridge either. Skybridge is the part in between? Yeah. Well, you have to walk across it to get to another platform. I don't like heights. And it's a board. And then another board. And then another board. Held together by ropes. Six inches wide. There's one that was six inches wide. There's jagged rocks all down below you. Oh, it's petrifying. It was cool. Petrifying. I don't like heights. Terrifying. That part was. The zip lining was incredible. Sounds so fun.
5701949. Got to hand it to you, Woods. You got up there. You ziplined. Yeah, you did. In spite of all of the fear. Yes. Got up there and you conquered it. Face my fears. Did you get a hotel up there? No, no. We drove home. Oh. Yeah. How about that? It's a hike. Ella B went with her boyfriend, Matt Commerce, BFMC. They were going to go camping, right? We were. That was the plan. Where did you go? Jay was right. We went to the La Jolla Indian Reservation, which I'd only been there once before about seven years ago. Now, what part of La Jolla is this, Prospect? It's not La Jolla. It's the La Jolla Indian tribe. Bird Rock? Okay, so where is this L.O.B.? It's past Harrah's Rincon and all that stuff. Oh, wow. I don't know how to pronounce it, like Pauma Valley or something like that. Okay. So through Escondido, all down the 76 on the windy 76. I know exactly where you're talking. I had motion sickness by the time we got there. Oh, wow. Yeah. Now, when did you get there? What day? Friday or Saturday? Saturday. Saturday in the day. Yes. Okay. And what's the first thing you guys want to do when you get there? We wanted to go to the club.
You wanted what? Go tubing. Go tubing. Well, we were going to pick out a campsite. And he's like, we're all booked except for areas eight and nine. And areas eight and nine, where we were, was basically just, you could have cooked bacon on areas eight and nine. No shade. Plus, everybody was right on top of each other. Which, if you have a bunch of families, that's fine. That's fun. But not what we had in mind. Now, you get there, and do you have to inflate your tube once you get there? They have tubes for rent. Okay. We didn't have our own tubes, so they have tubes for rent. They're like $10 for the tubes. And you pick out your tube, and you go. And you walk as far as you can walk. And we started walking, and as we got to our walk, there was someone who had kind of like a trailer that you'd see landscapers have. Okay. picking people up along the way. So we got on the back of this ride. How did you know that wasn't a serial killer? We didn't, but there were so many people around. We were going about five miles an hour that we could have just bailed at any point. And people would just jump on. Really nice guy. The guy actually was turning around telling us because Matt was sitting on his tube and he deflated his tube. And we already drove about 15 minutes up the hill. And he was like, oh no. And I was like...
What are we going to do? So the guy was like, oh, you take my tube and I'll go back down and fill yours up. What a nice guy. Nicest guy on earth. And as he was saying that, the driver hit a bump and the guy fell off. Oh, gosh. Oh, wow. Oh, boy. Poor guy fell off, got like road burn all down the side of it. And Matt's got his new tube. Mike! Thank you. Thank you and so sorry. So sorry about your arm. We thought it was going to be like a lazy river, but we went up, up, up, up, up in elevation. And the thing was not, the river was not that high with water. The river was pretty low. So there was times where we were just dragging bottom. Oh. Literally on sand and you had to get up and walk. That's a lot of dragging in your case. Yes, a lot. I have several bruises on my behind. Let's see. What's he trying to say? Big butt. But that's not very nice. Big butts are good. L-O-B. Let's see how I can phrase this. She got a stick and it went really hard. I'm describing it like a four-year-old. She got a stick and it went really hard and it went there. But it's a place that we all have, but it's private. And it hurt and it made her bleed. Owie. It took my words away. Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow. Yes.
Exactly. Oh, gosh. Except I couldn't even say, ow. I let go of the tube and stood up and then held the point of injury. And Matt's like, what is it? What is it? You're like, ah! Yeah. It took about a minute and a half for the words to come out. So, I have a question about this tubing. You know, it's hot and everything. And the tubes are, inner tubes are black rubber. Yeah. Don't they get to be like molten lava? They did. And when we were sitting on them in the back of the little landscaping thing, it was, Matt got up and was like, and that's when he realized he had deflated his tube from sitting on it. But when you're going down the river, you're mostly in the shade.
We thought we were just going to literally chill for like an hour ride and just be like, this is great. But then about every couple minutes, we'd be like, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, rock, rock. It goes fast, too. Look at my elbow. Oh, gosh. It's all skinned up. Yeah. That sounds like a delightful day. It was too low. The water was too low. Oh, gosh. Happy birthday, Matt. Yeah. So you get back to your car and limp out with, you know, your bum bleeding. Oh, yeah. We were both bleeding everywhere. And Matt was like, you know, I like scrapes. It reminds me of being a kid. I was like, oh, crazy. I'm going to have a staph infection. Oh, my God. So did you decide then to leave? Oh, yeah. Yeah. We decided we were just going to... There was no camping going to happen. No, not. Next year, she's going to take him to Alcatraz. We're actually going to spend a night in the prison for his birthday. It would have been really fun if it was like the spring and the water was really high, you know, but... God. You're going to take him to dinner next year. I know. Did Matt have to doctor your boo-boo? No. He wanted to. I would not let. I would not let my wife. Nor would I. I didn't let anyone see it. Yeah, I wouldn't. That's no one's business but mine. I can tend to my own injury. I'll take care of it. There was tiny little gravel all in the river too, so I was so scared that I was going to get an infection.
So I took a shower. Chances L.O.B. went home and med MD, web MD'd butt sticks. Well, I made him wait so I could take a shower. It took me like 20 minutes to wait in line to go get a shower because I was like, I'm going to get a staph infection. You? You took a shower? Yeah. At a public? I had flip flops and a bathing suit on. Woods is in his coffin. Woods is in his coffin. While I was waiting in line for the shower, a girl had an FU tattoo on her leg. So I stood behind her. That helps. On her couch. Yes, on her couch. Classy. Definitely not cutting in line. No. Did you say, hey, hurry it up, B? No. She turned around. Beer bottled you. Matt says he wants to go back, though. And I was like, ha, ha. He's like, oh, I'm dead serious. He's like, we'll come back in the spring when there's more water. Yeah. So he had a good time. I went to Core Orthopedics on Friday. Really cool place. And got a bone spur in my shoulder, it turns out. They did an x-ray. And they said, well, they can lop it off. And I said, I don't want to do that. So they put, what is it? Cortisone. Cortisone.
And you know me and shots. But they were really good. I didn't even feel it, didn't I? Maybe I did. They put this little thing on there to make it cold, and then they put the needle in. So you're growing a hump on your back? Growing a hump on my shoulder. Sexy. Growing a hump on my shoulder. Chicken wing. How does that happen, did they say? No, they didn't, and I don't know. I don't know how it happened. Woods had a barbecue Saturday night. Wife threw me a little bash. It was really fun, and Jay made the best chicken in the world. You got your legs. I saw a picture. He caved. He did, and I felt bad. No. I did, too. And then Jay goes, it's the first thing he said to me when I walked in. He goes, hey, where's your Tommy Bahama stuff? And I'm like, okay, all right. And then he goes, and just so you know, I made your legs and wings. I have a feeling he might. He did.
And you should have seen the to-go box that Mr. Jason R. Isbell took from my home. No shame. Zero amount of shame in his game. That man will take from a party pounds. Jamie insisted. Did she? I'm sure she did. She's very polite. Did you bring your own grill there? No, I made it all at home and brought it over hot. Potatoes. Freaking delicious. I saw a picture of it. That grill was the size of Montana. I woke up yesterday. All I wanted was a chicken leg. That's all I wanted. And I went in. None. Gone. Probably because of me. Well, and Jason R. Isbell. I had some. I took about 40 homes. He did. I did. I had barbecue chicken and corn on the cob. Baked potato. Maybe he should, like, since he cooked them at home, he should have just kept some at home. I wanted to make sure there was enough, and it looked like there was a lot left over. Oh, yeah. Let's play Name That Tune. Oh, no, let's not. 570-1949. Now, today, the Name That Tune, it's Jay singing the songs, okay? And so he's prerecorded him singing these songs, and what you're going to do is you're going to call. 570-1949. Pick me, Woods, or L-O-B. Jay, what are we playing for? We are going to play for a $40 in gift.
Gameplay at Dave & Buster's. It's hard to say. $40 game card, Dave & Buster's. Now, name that tune works just like a buzzer. We use our name as a buzzer, and as soon as we recognize it, we yell out our name. But all you've got to do is call in and pick me, Woods, or L-O-B. M1 Rick from Escondido. Who do you want? I'll take Woodsy, please. You've got it. Hang on the line. M1 Lisa from Lakeside. Who do you want? Mikey. You got it? Weird. And finally, M1, get Sticker Maker from San Diego. You've got LLB. Hang on, okay? Sorry. All right, so we yell our name out as soon as we recognize it. And again, it's Jay singing good for $40 in Power Cards at Dave & Buster's. Title or artist, right? And Jay as well doesn't count as artist. Can it be title or artist? It should really be the title because I think you're going to have a harder time with the artist because it's kind of me.
But what if we get... What if we know... Please isolate. Go ahead. Go ahead. You let me violate... Nine Inch Nails. Wow. It's happened so fast. You can let them continue to play after we've made our guesses. Yes, please. No. I don't practice... That's sublime. Dang it. Oh, boy. Lauren. Justin Timberlake. Dang it. Wow. Wow is right. What you going to do? What? Black Eyed Peas? Half a second. Them baggy sweatpants. No idea. Mikey. Go ahead, Mikey. Apple Bottom Jeans. Is it called Apple Bottom Jeans? Woods gets the negative. Yeah, I know. Yeah, I know. I thought that was going to be wrong. Here we go. If you, if you could return. Cranberry. Oh. Play it.
Play it. Oh, no. Play it. Don't let it burn. Don't let it fade. I'm sure I'm being rude. Oh, my gosh. But it's just your attitude. Oh, my gosh. My skin's crawling. It's tearing me apart. My skin's crawling. It's ruining everything. Can you imagine? Oh, my gosh. Can you imagine? That goes under the category of creepiest voicemail message ever received. No doubt. He's in love with someone, and he calls, and he leaves that on their voicemail. Do it again. No. Do it again. From the beginning. No. If you could return. Oh, God. Don't let it burn. Don't let it fade. I'm sure I'm being rude, but it's just you. Get out of here. Oh, my gosh. That's the creepiest thing. Oh, look. Shirt shimmy. Shirt shimmy. Shirt shimmy. Shirt shimmy. Double shirt shimmy. Double shirt shimmy. All right. Let's go. My motto's always been when it's Friday. That's afternoon delight. Would you're amazing. Yeah, you are. I was going to say Anchorman. Anchorman. Honey came and she caught me red-handed, creeping with the girl next door. Shaggy. Shug it. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Tied. All right, here we go. In your daughter. Got special things going on. You say it's puppy love.
I say it's full grown. Lauren. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Why is he breathing so heavy? Scores was three. Me, four. Mikey, one. Here we go. We were trying different things. No, Mikey. Kid Rock. Kid Rock. Oh, Mikey. Here we go. Okay, we got two left. What score? Woods four, LLB four, Mikey one. Okay, we're going to make both of these two-pointers. Son of a... I'm through with standing in lines to clubs. We'll never get in a bottom of the ninth, and I'm never going to win. Mikey? Nickelback. How is that Mikey? Here we go. This is for the win. This is it right here.
That something wasn't right here. Britney Spears. Wow. Damn it. Lauren O'Brien, ladies and gentlemen. M1 Get Sticker Maker from San Diego. Yeah. Stella B did it. Speak J. She did it. Yeah. Hang on the line. Got a $40 in power cards deal going for you. That was outstanding. It was outstanding. Standing. So painful. So creepy. So creepy. I don't know why I breathe so hard. Jay, you got to load them because I just want to explore them. Yes, please. I want to explore the space. I want to explore that. Jay just got to sit in his face like, please no. Like, I know I've done things to you, but please no. Please not that. Oh, wait. They only got a raise. No, they did not. Yeah. Bob Dylan's grandson's a rapper. His name is Pablo Dylan. And yes...
We will play his rapping coming up next. Think you got something worth adding to the Mikey show? Thanks, Nostradamus. Text him at 949mikey at gmail.com. No. Call Mikey now. 570-1949. Don't do it like this dude did in Seminole, Florida. He's 31 years old. Came outside. His girlfriend, Saturn, has got the gas cap open. And he thought, oh, somebody was doing hijinks and stuck sugar in there. I better take the gas out so as not to ruin her car. So he decided to siphon out the gas using an electric leaf blower. Huh. Yeah. As you know, a spark can be made from that. It did. It ignited the gas tank. The car exploded. Luckily for Joseph. He just got some serious burns on his arms, but otherwise was miraculously okay. The car, by the way, is totaled because it blew up. Completely exploded. Well done. In China, there were five fake Apple stores in the city of Konming. Konming. Konming. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Yeah. It's one of the best vacation destinations, I think, in the world. And anyway, there was five of them. They were just selling Apple stuff.
You know, just decided to open their own Apple store. Can't do that. And so two of them were shut down. The other three they couldn't shut down because they didn't find any actual fake Apple products in there like the other two. And so they had to shut them down. Woods, what's going on in sports? It's Bob Dylan's grandson. Yeah. Yeah.
Pablo Dillon. Darnell Robinson. K Major. 10 Minutes. Sounds like anything else I'd hear on the radio. Don't sound bad to me at all. I mean, if you're into that music, it sounds good. As long as they keep repeating the hook, they're good. Of course. Can't be worse than Dylan. What? Can't be worse. Get out of here. Woods, he hates Dylan. I don't like it either. I've never understood this. Yeah, it's a bit. Great songwriter. I respect him. Tip my cap. Legendary, but get it. It's not your style. And then Tom Petty ripping the whole thing off. Yeah. True.

An amazing tradition has just begun. Marines asking celebrities out to the Marine Corps Ball on November 12, 2011. IPFC Hart would like to take a date. Proud American, Miley Cyrus, out to the Marine Corps Ball in beautiful Southern California, Camp Pendleton. Please, Miley Cyrus, this one's for you, girl. Oh. How many times can it be done? Still doing the same bit? Yeah. How do you make it to the news now? Because it seems like there's got to be so many people that are doing it. How do they get selected? How do you get selected to be talked about? Why did that guy make news? But it's already been done. That's a problem. Oh, boy. He's peeking in. Eskimo Blue Waters. Hey, guys. Hey. Hi, Eskimo. How are you guys? We work here. What are you doing here? What are you doing here? It's the operative question. I was just wandering the hallways.
Look at Eskimo. She's wearing a pink dress, and she's got on her cowboy hat, her dark glasses, and her suede jacket. Her fringe jacket. I dressed up today. You got your Taylor guitar with you. Yep. And what's your deal? Well, it's funny that you mentioned the Marine Corps video bit, because I've put out a little video of my own. It should be in your inbox, Mike. Just hit refresh. A couple times. All right. Did you get it? Yes. Yeah. And I was hoping that you guys could help me go viral. Do you want me? Should I play it? Yeah. Just give it a whirl. Eskimo Blue Waters. My name is Eskimo Blue Waters. My fans call me EBW. And I wanted to put out there that I am available to play the Marine Corps ball. That is any Marine Corps ball in any city at any time. Oh, wow. At any point. Oh, my. For any price. I could go as your date. If you want a date, I could do that. But mainly, I'd want to play. And if I went as your date, then I could play. You'd allow that. But anyway, I'll give you a little sample. Please. This one's for you, JT. Oh. Uh-oh. You can go on and grab me a real love. Oh, my God.
Oh, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. That was a nod to Justin Timberlake. Let's cry me a river. Remember someone made a video for him? Is that what it was? Yeah, I'm hoping if I tag Justin Timberlake in my video, then I'll get more hits. You won't. Listen, Eskimo, at some point, at some point, you're a 32-year-old woman. Late 20s. Late 20s? First of all, her real name is Judy Douche. Why do you say it every time? It's Judy Douche. All I want you to do is just play the video. I don't need commentary, really. I'm going to post the video on our Facebook fan page. Get it to go viral. Facebook.com slash Mikey Show. I dressed up for it. You did not. In fact, you dressed down for it. I have a dress on. I never wear dresses. Dresses are for sissies.
She's tough. Yeah. Anyway, so hopefully that'll go viral. All right. Thank you, M1s. All right. Thank you, Eskimo. Thanks so much. Eskimo Blue Water. She's applauding herself. Thank you. Nice. She just walked out of the studio clapping for herself. She is a shameless self-promoter. Oh, yeah. Is there anything that you have ever done, Woods, for a woman that is way outside of what you... would normally do for the sake of winning over a chick. Absolutely. Give me one of the better ones. I worked at the YMCA. I was a counselor. Wow. And there was a little angel that worked there also. And she had a boyfriend. He lived in Florida. But we had a little chemistry going, this is years ago. I think I was 19 or 20. And so she said, well, I can't date you. I have a boyfriend, but we should work out together. And I don't work out. Clearly. There you go. Just waiting for that. So my bit was in order to hang with her, I had to like, I went by gym clothes, like tennis. I didn't own tennis shoes. Right. Yeah. Went and worked out with her like five nights a week so I could kind of get in and it worked. It worked. Worked. She broke up with the boyfriend. Well.
Oh, boy. Did she cheat on the boyfriend? Oh, what? What? It's a terrible, awful thing. Is it? Well, of course. They weren't married. Oh, wow. Oh, gosh. But, you know, worked out well for everybody. Except for him. Did you get in shape? Yeah, it was like two weeks is all it took, but never worked out with her again after that. Jay, did you ever do anything to impress a girl that was something that you wouldn't do? I never had to. 5701949. There's so much I don't do. Oh, boy. There's not much I don't do. I never had to. Of course there is. I wore parachute pants with handcuffs and bandanas tied around my legs to dance. And I'd go dance. Eyeliner. So you were not into that. You did that for the affection of a girl. Is any guy into that? Going to a club and dancing. Look at me. Handcuffs. Eyeliner. Wait. Eyeliner. Wait. Wait. Wait. I was a killing machine. Okay, Jay, I want to get this straight. You, because some guys do it because they actually think it's cool. You didn't. Like some guys work out because they think it's cool. Woods didn't work out. He did it for the purpose of getting a girl. So you're telling me you put on parachute pants. Red parachute pants. Oh, my. Vans. With checkered vans. I had bandanas tied around my legs. Oh, my. I had guy liner on. Outstanding.
I had the shirts that were like the V shirts that went across. They buttoned on the side so it looked like you were a three musketeer kind of thing. What? I would go out and dance. Tell me about the handcuffs real quick. The handcuffs would hook on your side from loop to loop. Handcuffs. I wasn't doing it for just one girl. I was doing it for many. Do you have a picture, Jay? You know, I think that was a time where I didn't have a camera. Oh, sorry. They didn't have cameras back then. Yeah, they hadn't done it. Just carved it in stone. They had to sit for portraits. Yeah. How you doing, Edna? Edna. I'm fine, Jay. How are you? I'm great. How you like my eyeliner? That's interesting. I love your boobs. Thank you. You're welcome. Very brazen. You want to dance or what? I got some handcuffs. I see that. Yeah, did you notice my handcuffs? Of course. You know what I use them for? What? Tying you up. You guys take my heart and my handcuffs. That's right. Literally, I slipped it in your pocket. That's right. I wish roofing all was already invented. Didn't need it. Wow. Wow. It's more like Thompson Twins and Modern English and all alternative bands.
Depeche Mode. It's outstanding. If I thought that I could have done something that would have won the affection of a girl, I'd have done it. What about the House of Cards you made? Yes, you did do that. I did that because I was a dork, not because I thought it would get her. Listen, if there was something that I thought I could do to get a girl, I'd have done it. And I don't care what it was, I'd have done it. I knew, though, there's nothing I can do. I couldn't go work out. I couldn't wear handcuffs and parachute pants. It wouldn't have worked. It wouldn't have worked. You know what I would have had to do to adapt? I wasn't willing to do the one thing. Lose weight. Right. That would have been the one thing that I could do to adapt that would have got to go. But you did wear a beret, suspenders, and fake tortoiseshell glasses. I didn't. I didn't. I didn't wear a beret. Oh, okay. Well, that part I added. You're painting the picture. Yes, you added it. Two out of three, though. Two out of three. You're describing rerun from what's happening. But that's not what I wore. I didn't wear that. You did wear suspenders and non-prescription tortoise shell glasses. That's a true statement. I did that not to win the affection of a girl. I did that because at the time, sharp guys were wearing suspenders and it looked cool. Were they? Guys on Wall Street. No, not just guys on Wall Street. Preppy guys. Were you living in Germany or someplace at the time? Well, every girl's crazy for them.
Sharp dress. That's true. Every girl is not crazy about a rotund man. And that's not the way that this... Because every girl's crazy about a rotund man. Didn't go like that. A rotund man. It went sharp dress man. Yeah. I'd have done anything. Except lose weight. Except that one thing. I never had that problem, losing weight. In fact, at some point in my life, I had to gain weight. Yeah. Insult's injury, huh? Went to the beach on Saturday. And it was Wood's birthday, so we were going out to the beach. And while we were out there, you see these Navy SEALs carrying in gigantic logs into the water and out of the water. And I'm looking at them. I'm like, this is unbelievable. I'm watching them. So I walk over. And I have a video camera. And I'm...
A video camera. You're not Francis Ford Coppola. You're not J.J. Abrams. Why do people have cameras? I don't know. They tape their kids. The beach. No, they tape their kids walking and throwing balls and swimming. It was your birthday. It was your birthday. Did you film me? Yeah, I did. Oh, did you? Surfing. Okay. I did. So I'm filming these people working out, right? Doing their seal. And it turns out... They are paying to do this. I know the spot. These folks pay to go through a SEAL camp. Now, I asked this guy, I go, what are they doing it for? He said various reasons. He said one of these guys, 50 years old, he wants to see if he's got anything left. He says another guy, he says he's a former NFL football player. He told me he wants to see if he's got any nuts. He says that girl over there is a badass.
He said her husband is a Green Beret and she wants to be a member of the Delta Force. And so she's out here doing it. She flew out here from Fort Bragg. He says they don't get their money back. So if they quit, they quit. Yesterday, four people quit. I said yesterday. I said, how long you guys been out here? He said since yesterday at noon. They'd been up all night long going into the ocean and coming out of the ocean. And they were yelling at him and doing the exact thing that they do. With SEAL training. Now, with these SEAL people, the people that are trying to be Navy SEALs, 90% of them do not make it to the Navy SEALs. But 90% of the people that go through this program do make it. So of the 10% of Navy SEALs that make it through their training. That's crazy. Yes. Of that 10%, 90% of the people that have gone through this program will make it. Now, I said, they've been awake since yesterday at noon.
Working out, he says, yeah. He says, we're going to keep him awake for two and a half days. Oh, my gosh. I said, and they're paying for it. He says, yeah. I go, the human body can stay awake for two and a half days? He said, well, the SEALs do it for six. Six. Little rest here and there. But for the most part, just eating MREs, throwing up, and staying awake, working out for six days. No sleep. No sleep. Sitting. You can sit for about five minutes. We saw some guys sitting against a log. They would let them rest. Yeah, five minutes. And they were in full combat, you know, except for they were in a T-shirt combat, you know, like pants. Fatigues. And boots. And at one point they dried off. And so they made them go back in the ocean and just get wet. Oh, I mean, I said, we got to have you guys on the air.
And the guys that are training them are real Navy SEALs, former Navy SEALs out there training these guys. It was the most unbelievable display of human gut. And these guys are going to go on like they're going to go like that. So they're going to half live it and then live it again. You know, if they go on to try out for the Navy SEALs. But just unbelievable. And for Woods of Wisdom, if you have a question for Woods. It's guy stuff. Fashion, dating, anything that has to do with guy stuff, you can call and ask. 570-1949. They say that the sense of smell is the most evocative of all the senses, which means lingering somewhere in your brain's memory center is a smell that always makes you happy. And there's a very good chance that smell is attached to some sort of food. Maybe it's your grandmother's rhubarb cobbler or your dad's special omelet or the grilled cheese and tomato sandwich your sister made on your parents' bowling night. So Kaiser Permanente suggests, why not cook it for yourself? Fill your kitchen with a smell that you remember. Bake that cobbler in Nana's memory. Invite your sister over for a grilled cheese. Dig out your family's favorite recipes. While cooking can be therapeutic, cooking with a meaningful recipe is a moving experience. It's a visit with old friends, long-gone relatives, a way to sit down at a table with your past. And it smells so good. Kaiser Permanente invites you to cook something you remember and thrive. Birds Her Shed with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for a beautiful Monday morning. This is being brought to you by Frost Brewed Coors Light. It's how San Diego breaks. Coors Brewing Company, Golden, Colorado. Surf Wise today is even smaller than it has been. That means most areas are basically flat right now. Maybe a one to two footer can roll through at the most open beach breaks. And that's primarily from some remnant southwesterly swell. That west northwest wind swell that's been lingering is pretty much all but gone right now. Higher tides this morning, slowing areas down too. So it looks like the beach breaks will be your best bet for some kind of a go out. You better bring an awful long board there because it is that small. Water temp fairly warm though and sunshine is breaking out early. So it looks like a heck of a nice day ahead of us. Just not a lot of surf to go with it.

Little Woods of Wisdom. You can call us and ask Woods a question. Well, I know you need your Woods of Wisdom. Relationship fixer. Woods is our guy's guy. And so he can answer questions about dating. He can answer questions about dude fashion. He can answer questions about sports. He can answer questions about all of that stuff. Salons. Yes, now you can answer questions about salons because you were captured on film at a salon getting a permanent. I was not getting a permanent. What was it now you were doing? It was a deep condition. Got it. A deep condition. It was not a Brazilian blowout. And I asked him, I said, why did you get a deep condition? He said, because I wanted to condition my hair. Well, my hair was very dry and brittle. Maybe pert. I don't know. Maybe VO5, hot oil. Why do you?
Woods. What? Why does somebody do that? You just need to condition your hair every now and then. But how come not just conditioner that you buy at the store? Because this is better. It's a deep conditioner. But what's the difference between a deep conditioner and the kind you buy at the store? It's better. Okay. The bottle's deeper. The bottle's deeper. It gets deeper into the root. I apologize. Thank you. That was uncalled for. My laughter. My reactionary laughter. It was uncalled for. You're one to talk. Listen, you saw my hair on Saturday, so that really, that's enough said. Your fingernails are awfully purdy. I clipped my nails this morning at home. Yes, but you have gone in. Your in-between appointment? Yeah. Get your toes done. Manicure. Fingers done. Appointments. Get your waxing done. I don't wax. Don't you? No, I don't. Really? I miss your eyebrows. All right, you know.
Hey, how's that spray tan working out for you? I don't spray tan. Oh, you don't? No. Have you? Yes. Gosh. Gosh. Yeah, I have. But this tan now is natural. All right. Well, you were born with one, so. Jay just gets in there and just, ow. Let's take a call for Woods of Wisdom. M1 Rob from El Cajon. Yeah, I have a, uh. When you open the door for a lady, like at a bank, when you hold the door open, does that automatically mean that she gets to go ahead of you in the line? That's a great question. And I think the answer is unequivocally yes. If you hold the door for her and she walks in first, she's going to beat you to the line. You would be a D if you opened the door, then jumped ahead of her. So you've already been a gentleman, you know, 90% of the way. Just go the full 100%. I agree with Woods. Commit.
You know, we talked on the air on Friday about if you're in the elevator with a woman, the woman, you know, does the woman get off first, blah, blah, blah. And according to Emily Post, who's like Miss Manners, she says whoever's closest to the door. Well, I argued that's not true. I don't believe that. It should always be ladies first off the elevator. And I'll have you know that on Friday it was me. And a woman in an elevator going downstairs. And when we arrived at the bottom floor, iPhone in hand, she was closer to the door. And I stepped in front of her and stepped off the elevator before this woman. So not only did I contradict my own sense of chivalry and manners, even according to my own rules, I screwed it all up. I went off, I got off first. Why'd you do that? Because I wasn't thinking. I was just on my, I wanted to do my phone and look at my phone and just went off the elevator and instantly went, I wished I could step back on the elevator and let her go. Say, pardon me, I'm sorry. And pardon me. And she must have thought, what a fat heel that guy, you know? I mean, just stepping right off the thing in front of me.
What a rotunda heel. What a rotunda heel, that guy. Brownie. It's outstanding. All right, so this Woods of Wisdom question to Woods says, Woods, I invited my buddy to a bachelor party and he said he couldn't go for money reasons. I see him all over Facebook and he's taking this trip and that and posted pictures of him out every weekend in, quote, VIP. Should I just consider him a D or call him out for being a D? Woodsy. I'm not a big. Call out guy. Me, personally. Steve Woods. Steven R. Woods. You avoid confrontation. I do. I do avoid confrontation. I would personally probably not call him out. You should call him out. He deserves to be called out. A thousand percent. He can't come to your bachelor party, but he's getting bottle service at Stingery on Friday night. You know what I mean? It's expensive. Yeah. So he needs to be called out, in my opinion. Well.
Woodsy and I are similar in that we have two levels. Like, we see very black and white. But I'm trying to learn and be somewhere in between. See, I think you can do – Wood says I wouldn't do it because I don't like competition. I think you can do it, but you can do it in a way that isn't messed up. I'm sure that you can, but I'm always afraid of that going south. And, like, obviously the guy doesn't – really care about your bachelor party if he's taking other trips and making other trips. You never know the circumstances. He may have planned them in advance, whatever, but still, it's pretty weak to not go to your boy's bachelor party, in my opinion. You absolutely call him out. 100%. You're like, dude, what is the deal? I mean, you're guys. It's not like you're dealing with a woman. You're dealing with your buddy. Okay, so under Jay's logic, how would you do it, Jay? I'd say, dude, what are you doing? Yeah, just face to face. Oh, you'd wait until you saw him? I'd face to face. I'd be like, man, what's the deal, dude? I thought we were buddies. He'd be like, well, you know, I had all this stuff planned. I was like, really? My bachelor party? This is a one-time, ideally, a one-time thing. Why wouldn't you do that, would you? Just because, like you said, I don't like conflict like that. But it's your boy. That's true. You know what? Fast forward the tape. Jay, where's that going? Well, I'll figure out where I stand with him right off the bat so that I don't have to count him as a friend if that is indeed the case.
Hey, listen, the bottle service didn't cost as much as it would cost for me to do your whole bachelor thing. Right. Well, okay, then cool. I get it then. You know, at least if he's got something, you know, an explanation, then he should be able to throw it down. No worries. But I'm not going to pussyfoot around. No, you're not. Jay doesn't do that. Doesn't deal well with women either, apparently. Right. I mean, you obviously treat women differently than your buddy. That stink eye. What? All I did was look at him. Let's see. 570-1949. If you have a question for Woods, for Woods of Wisdom, dead snake in front of our house. Rattler, right? Rattlesnake. Giant. That's why I don't like bunnies, man. Oh, boy. The bunnies. What do you mean, Woods? What? Are they really eating? I mean, I've never seen a snake eat a rabbit. Oh, I have.
That's a big, that thing really releases its jaw then. I mean, frogs and, but that's a, how do you eat a whole rabbit as a snake? I'll tell you how. What are rabbits known for? Being cute, making a lot of money, hiding Easter eggs. So baby rabbits. They eat the baby rabbits. I know the snakes eat rats, but I didn't know about, I guess they would. They sure do. Two of the gross things. I know coyotes just love rabbits. Found a little birdie that was on the ground. and not doing well. And my dad put it in a box and took it home and he's going to nurse it back to life. That's outstanding news. I picture him with like a little like cast on like a wrap on his wing. My dad is the most kind hearted, sweetest guy. and he saw this little bird, and he said, if you have a box, I'll take him home. And he's done it before. He did it with a pigeon, and the pigeon would not leave my dad. My dad would drive home from work every day, and the pigeon would land, Peggy Pigeon, who they think was actually a boy, would land on my dad's car. It's incredible. Yeah. So he took a little bird home yesterday. Good for him. Now, see, you...
And your Mrs. Rebecca would have said, I'll just snap its neck. It's fine. Or shoot him. Shoot him. You get your 9mm and bust a cap in him. I tried calling Animal Control. You did? Yeah. And they tell you to? It was Sunday. They were closed. And you have to wait, and I'm waiting, and I'm waiting, and I'm waiting. And my dad, while I was waiting, said, let me take him. That's rad. Yeah. What's going on at the Esparza household? It's like an animal kingdom over there. It's Animal Kingdom. Summertime, man. Lord. Seriously. That rattlesnake was petrifying. Oh, yeah, dude. It was dead? And it had something in its body, yeah. Somebody had taken its rattler, though, off already. No. No? No, it was still there? No, it was still there. It was bent underneath. How did it die? Do you know? Got hit. It got hit? Got hit. I didn't show you that part. Oh, my God, dude. Didn't want to show that part. But, yeah. That's why I don't like rabbits out there. I mean, they're cute, but they're also inviting a lot of snakes to come around. I always see rabbits when I walk in here in the morning. Me too. Every day. Snakes everywhere? Well, not necessarily, but maybe. One more reason to get petrified when I walk in. M1 Scott is on the line from San Diego. Hi, Scott. How are you guys this morning? Good. Nice. A few years back, I'm not sure if I did the right thing. I was fishing, and I was in a suit, actually, and I keep a fishing pole in my trunk. It's back in New Jersey.
And I get this, you know, I'm walking through the wooded area, and I come across this duck that has a bunch of fishing line tied around his leg, and it's holding him to a, you know, to a tree. I cut him loose, throw him in my car, a pond nearby. Obviously, he got lost with a whole duck family. So, let him go. I'm just not sure if I did the right thing. I let him go, and, you know, I'm chasing him around. Chasing this duck around, trying to get him back in the water. Finally get him in the water and he swims straight out to the middle of the pond. He jumps behind this other family of ducks. Wow. The lead, yeah. And the lead duck, right, the daddy duck, you know, kind of approaches him, looks directly at him with this really mean look, and then donks him over the head with his beak. Wow. Whoa. Like you don't belong in this family. Huh? Like you don't belong in this family kind of thing. Yeah, like who are you? Maybe I was thinking maybe I'm going to swim out there.
Maybe I was thinking, you know, is it a survival of the fittest test or something like that? I don't know, but I cannot get the visual of a man in a suit in a fishing pole. Traipsing through the woods just cutting ducks free. With a baby duck. That is one of the strangest freaking thoughts ever. I love it. Now, I've heard of guys that carry, you know, their golf clubs in their bag, and they'll go hit balls in a suit at lunch. I've seen that bit before. Never seen a guy fish. This guy fishing in a suit. That's rad. That's rad. That's great. Bloop. I love to fish. I've never caught a fish bigger than 18 inches long. It's terrible, but I do love to fish, so maybe that's why I keep it in there. That's great. That's fantastic. You guys have a good day. Thank you. I think he did the right thing, don't you guys? He did the right thing. Yeah, he did the right thing. He saved you a little guy like this guy. Sweet. That's really sweet. Thank you. Thank you very much. M1 Enviro Scientist from San Diego. Hi. Hey, I just wanted to explain to you why a snake can eat a rabbit. Go ahead. Jay needs to know. Jay, snakes dislocate their jaws when they eat their prey so they can make their mouth.
Opening way, way, way better. Yeah, Mikey does that with burritos. I dated a girl like that once. Is that creepy, Uncle Jay? You're a married man now. Yeah, nah. Married her. Oh! Mikey's blowing the poop, Stella. Oh. Jay! Oh, my gosh. You have children. You have children. That listen to the show. That listen to this program. So sorry, Isabel family. Don't listen to the show. Oh, my God. We've learned now. I married her. That's right. Used to call her the rattlesnake. Her name is Kimberly R. Ismael. Called her the hingeless wonder. Oh my! Stop! What? She told us, by the way. She told us.
Well, she didn't tell me. She told Woods. She hates Jason R. His dog. Out of all the things. Out of all the things. She goes, I really hate that name, by the way. Why? Why? Why? I go, that's what you hate? Out of all the stuff? It's far off of what his actual name is. Oh, my gosh. Hairstone Tablet Diary. I sure hope Mike decides to talk about it. snake that they found outside his house? Because if he does, I'm going to make a joke. And it's going to be about my wife. There's actually a couple of jokes diary I can make since it's a snake after all. I'll compare it to a wiener. Well, you know. A snake in my cage. Here are the jokes I can make. Tube snake. Boa can check during my case. Snake eyes.
Snake in your pants. Anacondor. Anacondor. Anacondor. I dated a girl named Anacondor. I dated a girl named Anna. Should have been named Anacondor. Stone Diary. I'm the King Cobra. See ya. Goodbye. Wouldn't want to be a stone tablet. But you'd want to be me. Stone tablet. Speaking of stone, look at my belly. Jealous. Stone tablet. Let's see. 570-1949 is our number. I forgot to do the fake band names. And so there will be no Wheel of Pain today. It's too bad. But Jay suggested that you guys do bag tag. And I'm like, well, how do you just do bag tag? You do it. We just do it. There's no rules. There's no rule. You just bag tag. The only rule. Oh, boy. Oh, wow.
The only rule about bag tag is you don't talk about bag tag. And you can't flinch. You can't flinch. If you flinch, I spank you. So it's really a win-win. Listen to this. Four text messages. You should never send someone that you're dating. You should never tell them I love you for the first time on text, which is what I did with Rebecca. I told Rebecca I loved her for the first time through text message. And this was before texting was a viable source of communication. And so it didn't work well. And she wrote back, what? I didn't get that last text. What? And she, I mean, she maintains. I didn't get it. And so I waited an hour or so and I did it again. Did it come through blank? No, it broke. I was typing too much. Came through as a multimedia slideshow. And so she didn't get the whole thing. She didn't get the whole thing. Oh, wow, Mike. I know. I can't believe that's true. Oh. I thought I'd actually meet somebody. Stuff you read about. It's urban legend. In the horror papers. In the worst possible scenario book. Number two. You should never text message someone that you are dating that you are, quote, feeling weird about things. I knew it did.
Two for two so far. This is very weird, what's going on with us. It bothers me that I don't know how to be. It's good for us, though. Isolate. It's good for us. It is true. I don't know how to just be. This is why you need a reality show. You're more interesting than the average person. Saturday at Wood's house, I was sitting on his jacuzzi with my fat little legs in the jacuzzi. Yes, it's a true statement. And he took a picture of me. Text messaging. And then he texted me the picture with the word weird. Oh, it's great. To everyone that I make uncomfortable with my weirdness, I apologize. 500 people were just like, it's okay. It's fine. It's fine. It's okay. It's okay. I have more. I'll tell you what they are.
And wait till I tell you what a weapons check at Comic-Con found. I mean, various people. There are multiple stories of various yahoos thinking, oh, I can walk into Comic-Con with this because it's part of my bit. It's part of my get-up, part of my costume. No, you can't come in here with that. You can't come in anywhere with that. I'll tell you about it next. This is the Mikey Show. The best. That's right. It's the best. Ramirez Chavez was a 40-year-old guy in Escondido that was taking pictures of girls up their skirt with a cell phone. A security guard saw him walk up behind three women wearing skirts and throw a cell phone under there and take a picture and caught him, and now the dude's in trouble. How about this robbery in El Cajon, Bank of the West, on Main Street? Turns out it's a girl, well, they're looking for her, but she's a white girl in her 20s, about 5 feet 6, 135, blonde or brown hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and black pants. Walked in there on Saturday, excuse me, Friday, at about 3.40 in the afternoon. Oh, gosh. Oh, my gosh. I just looked over at L.O.B., and she threw the hood over on her sweatshirt. And for a second, I went, holy crap, she looks just like the girl in this picture. Woodsy, what's going on in sports?
Stunning news, man. In the case of Brian Stowe, who was the Giants fan that was beaten by the Dodgers fan, the first guy they arrested, Giovanni Ramirez, has now been exonerated. Really? Of this crime. Yes, sir. And they have arrested Luis Sanchez and Marvin Norwood. They will appear before a judge today for the first time. But Giovanni Ramirez, the first suspect they arrested, has been exonerated. Unbelievable. Unbelievable. Brian Stowe did have a seizure last week and is, again, Kind of doing a little bit better, but he's still not out of the woods yet. And so now that the football season looks to be coming to us very soon, guess what it's time for? What? The Brett Favre watch. Oh, no. Will he? Won't he? Guess who wants him to be his backup? One, Michael R. Vick. Really? From the Philadelphia Eagles. Tweeted the other day, has since deleted it, but tweeted, I'd be honored to have Brett Favre as a backup. That will be amazing, learning how to toy with defenses the way he did his whole career. I don't want him back, and nobody does. Nobody wants him back. Except Michael Arvick, maybe. Let's see. M1, Lisa from Lakeside. What was the word of the day? Spoof. That's right. Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow tickets for you at Cricket Wireless. Hang on the line, please. Let's see. Okay. I'm going to give you the Comic-Con stuff they found, but...
Before we went to break, I told you, you should never tweet somebody that you love them the first time. Before you've ever said it, I've done that. Text. Text it. You shouldn't text that. You also should not text. Oh, by the way, the CBA, the collective bargaining agreement, done today, they say. That will be done today. So football back. Also, I said, you're not supposed to ever text somebody that you're feeling weird about things. Quote, feeling weird about things. You're also not supposed to ever, ever, ever, under any circumstances, text somebody that you're angry about something. But my question is, who has never texted that they are angry about something? Everybody has, you know, how are you supposed to not do that? And you're also never supposed to tell somebody that you might be pregnant through a text. Oh, gosh. Oh, my. Oh, wow. So, there you go. Now you know. So, yes, they were doing a weapons check at Comic-Con and turned up an AR-15 rifle, otherwise known as an M16, a two-foot-long machete, a commando-style K-Bar knife, and a lead pipe, a pint of old Harper. Let's see.
Two machetes, one dagger, and that's it. That's it? That's it. No rifles, except for the Air 50. Just walking in there as a stormtrooper with a machete or, oh. It's part of my costume. My gosh. Well, you can buy freaking samurai so it's there. We saw them last year. Hey, Frodo, you can't bring a dagger in here. It's part of my costume. I know it is, but you can't bring it in here. Well, what am I supposed to do? You've got to go home, and you've got to take that home. Oh, well, I won't have my costume complete, though. Yeah, but that thing is a lethal weapon, and I don't know how you thought you were going to get it in here. How do you propose that I complete my costume without said weapon? Make it out of papier-mâché. Foil. Foil. Make it out of foil. Would a real hobbit do that? Well, there are no real hobbits, and you're not a real hobbit. Today, I am. Listen. Get this guy the hell out of here. I can't because his feet are wedged in the metal detector. That's correct. And I'm not going anywhere. I can't get him out of the metal detector. Get him the hell out of here. You'll have to forcefully remove me. No problem. I got a CB on my shoulder. You got a 420 over here. Forcefully. Right, people? Tell them they have the forcefully. Get him the hell out of here. Get out of here. Remove. Ah.
Get his dagger. That was excessive force. A lot of lovemaking this weekend over at Comic-Con, you think, at the hotels? Self-lovemaking. No. Straight up. No. Yes. Nerd on nerd action. Fair. Yes. What do you think happened at the band camp buses? That's true. Never went. Didn't you? Never went to a camp. That's sad. Fat camp night. We just do preemptive, Jay. Just want to get it out there before he does it. You never went to a camp? Nope. It's so fun. It's the best. Just French and girls left and right real good. Church camp, of course. Yeah. Yeah, if you're good looking. Wow, yeah. There's somebody for everyone. Clearly. Mike, there's blind girls sometimes at camp. You should have gone to blind girls camp. You would have been blind girls. You should have gone on the internet since then if they were doing some kind of blind girl camp. You'd have done great. Because you got a good mouthpiece. I can give you that. Yeah. You can go to blind girls.
Yeah. Why armless? They could feel you. They couldn't feel my face. Mike, because if they had arms, they'd feel your face and go, uh-oh. You see that Lionel Richie video? She knew. Yeah, that's right. Or the girl's blind, she's walking around, feels Lionel's face. Listen, Mike, I'd rather make out with Lionel Richie than you. Any blind girl would agree. Armless blind girl. Let's see. Listen to these stats on driving. Average person drives from 16 to 77 and a half years old. So for 61 and a half years, you're driving. So Jay's got one more year. Just one more. Average person will own 26 cars. Wow. 26. How can that possibly be true? I'm at like nine right now. I think I've had five.
Four or five? I haven't had many. I went 10 years without owning a car. Weird. You did? Yeah, I drove the radio station's cars. Oh, yeah. The average person drives almost 300,000 miles. I've driven more than that. Yep. For sure. If you've taken a couple of trips across country or something, the average person will break the speed limit 18,165 times. Or about 300 times a year. The average person will fill up their gas tank 2,645 times. The average person will go to a mechanic 31 times. Well, unless you're me, because I know I fix it. Of course. Don't need a mechanic. The average person flirts with 68 other drivers. I have never, ever flirted with a driver. You have, Woods? How do you do that without looking like... No. Yeah, you throw the eyes. I don't do it anymore, but... Yeah, but do you smile and put your head up and down like, hey, what's...
Really? Yeah. Do that? Throw them a little look. L-O-B? Only in, like, a group setting. A lot of times, like, guys will drive by a group of guys, and then I'll be like, because they're honking and waving. Yeah. Easy big time. Well, teenagers. Well, guys, guys, when guys get in a group, they're brave. Yes. Yes. And girls. And girls. Flashing, mooning. I've not seen that. I've been a part of both. I'll tell you a secret. You've flashed and mooned? I wasn't the flasher, because let's be honest, but mooning, yes. She's mooned people. You've mooned people. It's liberating. That's a full moon. I won today. That's a new bit. And boom goes the dynamite. Oh my God. You got a big butt, girl. True. My friend Efren and I, in high school, were driving to the beach, and he wanted to do a bit, and the bit was,
hey, when we pass by girls, let's raise our t-shirts up and show them our chest. And it was one of those times I really didn't want to do something, but I did it. I went along with it. I just went along with it because I wanted him to like me. Your buddy Afrin? Afrin. Afrin is a nasal decongestant. Yes. So when you and Afrin were driving to the beach, were you obese at this time or were you... Afrin. And yeah, I was overweight. Was Afrin overweight? Afrin is medicine. They sell at CVS. His name was Efrin. Right. Is this a made-up friend? You and Efrin were driving to the beach. Not Efrin. It's Efrin, and we were driving to the beach. So Breckenridge was driving, or you were driving? Now, he was a thin guy, and he was in good shape. Aspen was? It wasn't Aspen, it was Efrin. Val, I'm sorry. So Val was driving. So it's you and Beaver Creek driving to the beach. His name was Efrin.
Cedar Falls. And I got, you know, I got peer pressured into doing it. And, you know, I think that the girls probably remember it to this day. You know? How'd that go over? I raped. Kind of like a horror movie? Yeah. Yeah. Check me out. Oops, sorry. Wrong button. I wouldn't do that ever. Oh, that guy's doughy. Pepperoni pizza. That looks like a fat slice of pepperoni with only two pieces of pepperoni on it. Pepperoni calzone. That Afrin, man. Holy cow, he'll get you. Yeah. He will get you. Whatever happens to Tylenol. You think you ever heard that joke? Afrin? Yeah. It's the best I can do. It's Monday. Guy's name was...
Efren and a poor guy. Efren. So Efren funny. Freaking funny. Freaking funny. What's the funniest thing you've ever thrown at someone? My brother threw a hot dog at you. No, just the hot dog part. Took it out of the bun. Did you catch it in your mouth? He took a hot dog out of the pack and we were arguing. And he threw it at me and he hit me in the neck. That hurts. It did. What's the funniest thing you've ever thrown at somebody? That's a big throw of remotes and spoons. Remotes are a big player in the sibling fight world. Yeah, for sure. Always aim for the eye. Every sibling has thrown a remote at their sibling, right? Usually it's over the remote. Here, you want it? Take it. Yeah.
Here. Fine, you little D. See? See? See it now? Freaking dad's going to see that. And I'm going to tell him, yeah, guess what? Your fault. I used to throw video game controllers that people want. Because you guys know I'm a little competitive. So I would get beat and mad and I'd throw it at them. I remember having... Does anyone remember doing this to their sibling? You're in utter and complete joy. You're in some sort of euphoric high. It's almost like you've got heroin rushing through your veins. And when you say to your sibling, and you're just so happy. It's like Christmas morning. Yeah. And they're like, shut up! You're going to be in their good graces, and they're going to be in the doghouse for a long time. And you know it. Like, they're busted. And you know it. And it's their fault. And guess what? There's like, you're going away. 20 minutes. You're going away. You're dead. Sorry. Might as well pack a bag now. Yeah. Because you're dead. And you just had such joy in there. They're in troubleness. You revel. You're reveling. They're in troubleness. They're in troubleness. Oh, yeah. M1 Shelly is on the line. Shelly, are you there? Go ahead.
My brother and I used to fight cleaning the kitchen, and I would throw knives at him, and he would throw food. I threw a knife one time. It stuck in the wall. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. You guys would fight cleaning the kitchen? Cleaning the kitchen. So that was like the chore that you guys had to do together? Yeah, because neither one of us wanted to do it, so my mom was like, fine, do it together. Wow. Hey, wait a minute. Now, is this the infamous Shelly from... And I Stunk. Yes. It is. Let me tell you something, Shelly. If CDs were still popular and we made it best of CD, the CD would be called And I Stunk. Yes. That would be for sure. Because that is the crowning moment. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Thank you for that. Ever, Shelly. Thank you for giving us that one. You're welcome. We love you. M1 Jose from Spring Valley. What's up, Mikey? What's going on? If you guys remember or not, but back when toys were made good, die cast. Right. I had a Transformer, Optimus Prime. I threw it at my brother and his nose exploded. I was so scared. Yeah. I didn't know whether to run or I was just scared. Listen, and you're scared because, A, you didn't want to actually do damage.
Like that. No. He earned it. Believe me. Yeah, I'm sure. He earned it. He earned it. But then you're also scared. Like, my parents are going to freak, freak, kill me. They're going to kill me. Oh, yeah. It went from joy to utter horror. I was like, oh, I got you. Then, oh, I got you. Thank you. Steve-O, my brother, hit me with a crutch. Oh, man. Right in front of Crystal Long. Nine years old. Hit me with a crutch. I chased him outside. We had these white rocks. that were like, that was our beautiful yard. It was a bit. A nice Mexican trash yard with white rocks for landscaping. And I picked up a white rock, and he was across the pool, and the reason he was on crutches was a broken leg. And I threw the rock, and I had no shot. It was luck. It was luck, blind luck. The rock hit him in the bone above the cast, right above the cast. And I was scared. Because I didn't mean to hit him. I knew I wasn't going to hit him. I can't throw. And so I hurled it across the pool and got him right on the leg. I stuck a dart in my neighbor's leg. He came across the creek and he said something mean and I had a dart. We were playing hit trees with darts and I threw his harlequin and it stuck right in his thigh. Oh my gosh. I was like, I'm so sorry. You're playing that old game, throw darts at trees.
Stick a tree with a dart. Stick a tree with a dart. You know that game. You know that old game. Y'all, we used to play it down in Texas. It's stick a tree with a dart. Yeah, it's like Monopoly. You know how everybody, we all played Monopoly? Well, we either played Monopoly, Battleship, or stick a dart in a tree. Those are the favorites from back in the day. M1 Stacy from San Diego. Hello. Hi. I got hit in the face because my brother threw the little seatbelt at me. On the way to my cousin's birthday party when we were kids, busted my lips wide open from the chin up and we had to go get stitches instead. Now, was your mother or who was driving? My stepdad was driving. My mom was in the passenger seat and my brother and I were in the back seat and we had to be on either side. And we would fight over where the middle seatbelt was. He'd push it over to my side and I'd push it back and we'd fight. And he picked it up.
He's five years younger than me, and he picked it up and hurled it at my face. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. He busted my lip wide open. Oh, wow. Do you still have a scar? Huh? Do you still have a scar, or did it go away? No, I don't have a scar, thankfully. Thank goodness. I mean, blood all over my dress. My mom was so pissed. Oh, my gosh. Hey, thanks for the call. This weekend, it's so weird. Jake and Luke, they're buddies. Ryan and Luke are the twins, not so much. But Jake and Luke play together. And Jake likes to roughhouse. And so does Luke. But Luke is tiny and Jake's big. Right. So Luke is screaming bloody murder. Because Jake was, at the time, not playing with him. Jake was jumping from the couch onto the fireplace. Landing? Whatever. I don't know. The hoof. The hoof. The paw. You know.
He's jumping from the couch onto the fireplace mantle or whatever. Wow. Not the mantle of it. The brick, like the thing. The thing with the deal. It's got the deal on it and the thing. You put the things on there. And Luke was in the way. And so Jake pushed him and he went head first in between the space between the couch and the fireplace. Head first with his legs sticking straight up. And was screaming. No. And I was furious. at Jake. Like, furious. Because I've talked to him about it. Don't hurt your brother. I wonder how many parents have just been incensed when your kid hits your kid. Get ready. Oh, I know it. It's only just begun. My sister and I tried to kill each other. Yeah, my brother and I. My brothers threw an iron at my head. I got iron. I got hit in the head three times with a shovel. Three different occasions. See, Rebecca doesn't understand. Rebecca...

I mean, facial expressions. Facial expressions. That's what I meant to say. He's a badass, though. Yeah. But the facial expressions will get you. Stevie in a long robe, just wheeling and dealing up there. Tonight's 8 o'clock album, the Arctic Monkeys shirt. It's the funniest thing you've ever thrown at someone.
My mom was a big thrower of whatever meals she was making. Wow. Who would she throw it at? My dad. Oh, my gosh. She threw it one time. This was before cell phones, obviously. And she didn't know where he was. He was supposed to be home for dinner at, like, 6 o'clock. Well, 9.30 rolls around. He comes in. Hey, babe. Hot chili. No. Oh, yeah. Your effing dinner is ready. Oh, my gosh. Just New Jersey Cyclone and all over the place. Holy cow. Oh, my gosh. It's awesome. She was worried. It was fear. It was fear. No idea. Every time a siren would go off, my mom would bless herself. Really? Yeah. Oh, man. She thought, oh, my gosh. Yeah. Your father. Yeah. Your father could be her. She would say, oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Oh, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. As it could be your father. This was before the days of cell phones. Where is he? Kids, get off the phone. We got to keep the lines clear. Oh, yeah, yeah. Get off the phone, Lauren. Because it would be busy. Yeah. Lauren. Get off the phone. Get off the phone. Lauren. Lauren. Get off. Is that Carly on the phone? Get off the phone. How long is it going to take your father? Here's the scenario. Here's the scenario. Your father is probably lying on the side of the road. Rude. Rude. Rude.
He needs to come home. 570-1949. So good. Funniest thing you've ever thrown at somebody, like an empty ketchup, plastic ketchup bottle. My sister hit me with a TV tray. Your sister sounds mean. And she knocked me into another TV tray, and the sharp edge of it slid all the way up my leg. It removed a patch of hair and skin that was like four inches. I still have a scar. She said it was an accident. Oh, I was taunting my brother one time. He was playing video games and I was like, and like going in front of his game back and forth, back and forth. And he was like, stop it. And then I tripped over the cord that plugged the game into the wall. It's over. It's over. It's that black heavy thing. So it flung back and hit him in the head. Oh. You're dead. He started bleeding. Oh my gosh. My mom was not happy about that. So he didn't even fight you on that one because you hurt him. He was like.
And then I saw that it was bleeding and my eyes got the size of golf balls. And he was like, what? What? I'm like, you're okay. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. Kids ever just try to will something to be okay? Just cover it up real good. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. When you're a kid, you're like Nixon. Yeah. Trying to cover everything. Your friend's head is off. You're like, it's all right. It's all right. You're fine. You're fine. You're fine. Just don't tell your parents. Don't tell your parents. Yeah. That is the biggest fear. Don't tell mom. Oh, God. We used to play baseball in my friend's house with a little bat and a tennis ball. And we broke this antique, and I mean antique, grandfather clock. We broke the glass on it. His mom came home that night and she goes, can you guys believe it? The maid, our maid broke our grandfather clock. We were like, yeah, totally. We were in like sixth grade. We were not going to cop to it. Fired her. Fired her. And by the way, everybody, this is a true statement. Her name was Dorcas. D-O-R-C-A-S. Dorcas. She deserved to be quiet. So she had it coming. Yeah, she had it coming. Her name was Dorcas. Poor Dorcas. I did not do this. Dorcas didn't have it hard enough. Yeah. Yeah, as if Dorcas didn't... Life wasn't bad enough for Dorcas. These stupid kids get her to lose her job. Oh, man. Crack in the glass across the door. Oh, man. We're like, we didn't do it. We weren't even here. Just her husband's like, Dorcas, this is...
Part of what we depend on. Monster. I broke a chair one time. Just sitting on it? Gave out real good. And I took it to get repaired so that my dad wouldn't find out. They repaired it. Did he just find out about that right now on the air? I don't think so. I think it came to light. My mom had a... very expensive set of patio furniture outside at our pool. And we, when we were seniors in high school, used to drink after school and smoke cigarettes. And my friend Mark Bodick burned the table and we had to pool our money and go buy a new table. Oh, my God. It's like the Bray Bunch. We threw it in a vacant lot and bought a new table. Oh, man. M1 Bug from San Diego. Hey, my mom, back in the day when there used to be corded phones, before there were the cordless phones. Right.
She'd get pissed off because we'd be talking on the phone to her friend, and my brother and I would start goofing around, wrestling around or whatever, and she'd throw her shoes at us. She'd throw her shoes. Oh, yeah. Take off a shoe. Yeah. She'd give us a look and take off the shoe and give us one last warning look, and then it was the shoe. The shoe. So many shoes have been thrown at people. Oh, man. Just as many shoes have been thrown at people that have been worn by people. Thank you. Thank you very much. Then you do the thing where you'd be over at a kid's house and you'd all be screwing around and something valuable would break. Nothing clears a house out quicker of a bunch of kids than something valuable breaking and leaving the kid of the house there. All by himself. All by himself. Trying to figure out. What am I going to do? Because I'm dead. I'm dead. It's over. I broke a cookie jar.
I was like, I wasn't even in kindergarten yet, so I must have been five years old. And I climbed up onto the counter and I was literally going to steal cookies from the cookie jar. My mom was gone, but my older brother and sister were home upstairs. They hear crash. And they were the same thing. They were like, oh, I can't wait till mom gets home. I tried to use a glue stick that you use for like paper to put the little projects together to put the duck head back on. Oh, wow. That's the other thing is how dumb we are as kids. Like, we'll think something will work. It's not going to work. It made it worse. It makes it worse. Oh, my. M1 Russian vodka from San Diego is on the line. Hi. Hi, how's it going? Good. Hi, so me and my friends were, this was a while ago, we were little, and we were messing around with the Monopoly board, and I ended up throwing it at him, and it caught him right in the eye. It made his eye bleed. You threw a Monopoly board? Yeah. What, like a Frisbee you threw it? Yeah, kind of like a Frisbee. Oh, my. That'll hurt so bad. Hard cardboard. Oh, my God. Hard cardboard. His mom yelled at me because he didn't get in trouble. No, of course not. He's the one that got hit by... He's got the bloody eye. Yeah. Thank you very much, Russian Vodka. Saw the Foo Fighters documentary. It's really good. It's really, really good. Back and Forth. It's called Back and Forth. It's real...
Good. If you can get your hands on it, watch it. Straightest gay guy ever. Pat Smear. Yes. Yes. The original guitar player. Yes. He said, there was just a point on the tour where I was like, I'm not young anymore. I'm sick of this. And I'm through. I've been playing the same 20 songs for like, oh my God, like six months. And Dave had said, we're not going to tour this record in the ground. We're just not. And so. I was ready to quit that day. And I walked up to him and I was like, I have to talk to you. I don't want to be in the band anymore. And he was like, what? And so he said, he talked me into staying till they could find someone else. And I was like, okay. And he said, it's going to be about six weeks. And six weeks turned into like six months.
Identical Pat Smear. Identical Pat. Identical Pat Smear. Another name you should change. Yes. He said, Wood said, he goes, yeah, he's the gayest straight guy in the world. He says, that guy has a wife and kids. Yes. But he just so happens to talk just like this. And be one letter away from Pat Smear. And be one letter away from Pat Smear. Pat Smear. Pat Smear. Freaking phenomenal documentary. Phenomenal. You learn a lot about Dave Grohl and the whole process. I think that Dave Grohl and I share some things in common. Very much. And the relationship between Dave Grohl and his drummer is very similar to my relationship with Woods. Yes. They go to the bathroom together. Yes. They go to the bathroom together. We're not lovers. Go to the salon together. We're not lovers. Go to McDonald's together. Probably. Yeah, probably. Buy each other grooming products. Well, I just brought Woods grooming product in fairness. FaceTime. Yeah, FaceTime. Yeah, we do that. See each other's pretty faces. Yeah. Try to FaceTime you, LLB. You won't pick up. No, she never does. I've never gotten a Facebook time request. Ever.
We've both done it. Have you ever tried to FaceTime L.O.B.? You haven't? Never gotten one. I'm not an idiot. You know. I know better. I would just to try it, but I've never gotten a request. Never hear from L.O.B. unless it's to send me a text of a picture of Tommy Bahama story. That's not true. She goofs on me. That's when she communicates to me, to goof on me, to mess with me. I like to send picture messages to you. You do. It's your bit. Why do you guys FaceTime? I don't get it. It's fun. Because you can see the person. Yeah, it's fun. And I get to talk to Jake sometimes. I talk to Bubz, my son. We see each other for four hours a day already. More than that. If you talk to somebody, though, would you rather see them than just hear them? Not when I'm talking to you guys. I'm not gay, Mike. Yeah, I guess we're gay because we FaceTime. You can't do anything else then, right? What do you mean? Because you have to pay attention to looking at the phone. Yeah, we can't play racquetball. We can't. Oh, I like to like. We can't make a salad. We can't toss a salad. We can't. Oh, is a good friend and a lover. Put your tiny hand in mine. You guys always having a moment. It's true. We're very much like Dave and Taylor. All right, back to the driving statistics. The average person will have 81 near misses.
In accidents. As a driver. I have that like in a week. Average person gets lost 336 times. In a week? Yes. By the way, Woods is the worst direction giver in the history. Okay, look. Let me just put it this way. If you were to make a list of the worst direction givers and the list were comprised of 80 million people. The number one person for giving the worst directions is Woods. Oh, boy. Why is that? Lauren, he told me how to get to court orthopedics. I heard him, and I knew he was wrong. Oh, like, and he's picturing it in his mind, and he's going, he closes his eyes, and he goes, and then there's a stop sign, and you go left. And I go, Woods, left at the stop sign?
And then he closes his eyes again. Sorry, squeezes his eyes and goes and puts his hands up like he's making two A-OK signs. Thumb and index finger. And he goes, yes. I mean, let me tell you. I ended up and I was like almost to Oceanside. And so I pull over and I type in the directions. And when it took me back to where I was actually supposed to go, I was like. How did he get me here? Here's the deal. It was like 5 o'clock in the morning and you're asking me for directions to the orthopedic place. Now, you have GPS on your car. Just put it in GPS like I do. I don't ask for directions. I have a friend that's been there. Has he? Yeah, he's been there.
He's been to the place. Jay's trying to poke holes in Woods' story that he ever saw a doctor about his ankle. He doesn't know the doctor's name. There's no report. He doesn't know where it's located. Yes, I do. Really? He builds a strong cave. Voila! The reveal. Jason R. Isbell. You want to put money on it? Might be right. You want to put money on it? Because, hey, I will say this. What a thought. I went there, and they wanted to know how I got there, and I said that I was referred. And they asked me how, and I said to who, and I said who. There was no knowledge. Well, there's like 15 girls at the front desk. Are there? Yeah. There were two when I was there. There was a bunch when I was there. They had that little separate window on the side. Separate window on the side. Yeah, there's a payment window right here. I think that's McDonald's you're thinking about. There's a TV. Mary McCheese is there. There's two different waiting rooms. The Hamburglar is there. There's like McPlayland. There's highlights that you can read. There's a slide into the bowls. I'll put money on it. Put your money where your mouth is. There's a plant in there. All I got to do is make a phone call. The doctor's report will be right over. That's all I've been asking for. Well, let's put some money on it then. That's what I thought.
Jay does not believe that Woods actually saw a physician. I'll bet you the cost of my barbecue that I had a broken egg. Exactly. So feast. That's what I thought. The average person will cry in the car 82 times. I've beaten that. A week? I'm sure I have. I've beaten that. Probably doubled that. Mad cry to Richard Marks. As soon as that door closes to my car, all bets are off. You never know what will happen. Tears, cussing. Out loud. Singing. Oh, yeah. Talking to myself. I'd love to have a fly on the wall. A little camera in her car. The LOB cam. The LOB cam would be worth millions. I'd sign up for that. Me, too. Me, too, because she tells us that she's a wild woman. Oh, yeah. I do the imitations. That's where I come up with some of my voices. I'm like, let me see if I can do this. Let me see if I record myself singing a lot, see if I'm any good. I'm not. Any recordings right now? Not with me. Liar. The average girl will apply makeup or brush their hair 336 times. I hear? No, in their lifetime. Most average person will argue in the car with their significant other 3,646 times. Oh, yeah. Arguments tend to happen in the car. Stressful. Yeah, and it's usually about food. What's for dinner? Or backseat driving. Oh, my God. Jamie Woods. Rebecca does not. You're lucky. But we will.
That's where arguments do happen. Boy, they happen in the car. I wonder why. I don't know. Trapped. Yeah, you're trapped. Stressful trying to go to someplace you're late for. Mm-hmm. Or you're super early for, like me. We may have gotten into a little spat about what time to get to Woods' party. I wanted to get there, too. And she was like, Jamie even said that it's rude. And I go, babe, Woods said... that parking is going to be hard, and I think Jamie will understand. Yeah. I'm not going to be that guy. Right. And then you weren't. No. She made us wait until 2. Yeah. It was weak. It was weak. Yeah, it's weak. And she said, you know. We had the opposite. I had to get Kim out the door because I had all the food, and I was like, come on, let's go. And we got there a little late, and I was like, oh, I got the food, and everybody's waiting for us. Yeah, we were waiting on Jay. Only like 2.09.

And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I got a box of, you know, stuff in the mail because I like to shop on the internet. Lauren. I'm not a crier. Woods. I used to drink a lot. And Jay. How about you let me raise my own kid? On FM 94.9. Well, I woke up Sunday morning with no way to hold my head. That didn't hurt. We call it Live in July because we have a live studio audience in here this morning. Nice. The big news is Amy Winehouse, dead at 27, found in her apartment in England, and very sad news. She had come off of a pretty bad run, and she was booed off the stage in Belgrade for being drunk, stumbling around, that kind of thing, and they found her dead over the weekend. Also, there were four teenagers that got pretty badly hurt.
by brown bears in the wilderness in Alaska. They were trying to cross the stream. They were out there and had been on their 24th day of a 30-day backpacking course when it happened. Bear had cubs. You know what happens when the two of those things happen at the same time. So it's kind of sad news, but they're okay. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Guess, can you guess how many arrests there have been since the lockout began March 12th? Take a guess. Arrests? Arrests of NFL players. Five. No, 24, Mike. The last arrest before the lockout ended is a guy named Paul Hubbard. Plays for the Bills. He's a wide receiver. Paul Hubbard got really, really drunk and hit a cop. Hit him with his car as the cop was walking. Put him in a hospital. He is the 24th arrest. Oh, wow. Since the lockout started. That's a lot of arrests. That's a lot of arrests. And also probably my least favorite football player.
Jay Cutler, Captain Dumbface, has struck again. He has ended his engagement with his gorgeous girlfriend, Kristen Cavallari, a week after they had their engagement. Did she tweet anything about it? She did. I checked her Twitter because I follow her because she's really pretty and pop culture. And she said, thank you for all the support. Love you guys. So I just sent her back hugs. Woods is a celebrity responder. Big time. He's a big celebrity responder. Not so much to the athletes. Sometimes. Pretty girls. I got Ocho Cinco last week. All right. Got him real good. Do you think he's ever like Stephen R. Wood? Damn you. He's like, who the hell is this guy? You're witticism? Sick of this wood. This guy's a pain. So the first case of West Nile virus, it was Santa Barbara.
So, yeah, but apparently there was a guy, they put him in the hospital. He's recovering at home. Didn't say his name, but it did happen, and it's transmitted by mosquitoes that feed on infected birds. Perfect. It's like flu-like symptoms is what you get, or a rash. And it can be deadly, but it's pretty rare for it to be deadly. So, check yourself out. Or you wreck yourself. Out. Out. Let's see. Oh, I also wanted to tell you about this guy, the Marine. There's this Marine, and he's 72 years old. He's a retired guy. And somebody came into his store. He's a business owner. And they robbed him at gunpoint. And they said, you know, give me your money. Well, he gives him 20 bucks. What? What do you mean, what? That's all he had, huh? No, he actually had more.
But he gave him 20. And he said that's all he had. And the guy patted him down. Turned out he had 800. And the guy got mad, said, you lied to me. And he hit him on the head with the barrel of the gun, then ran out of the store. Well, this guy, like I said, he's a former Marine. He got in his car and chased the guy down, found the guy in a parking lot. And when the and when the guy sees him, he in the car puts his gun up to start shooting and he gets hit by the car. So this guy took the law into his own hands and mowed the dude down. Excellent. Wow. It's a good call. You know, well, you know, he was getting shot at. He probably should have just called 911. None of this would have happened. Are you sure?
He may have never gotten his money back. Yeah. Could have just gotten filed away. And he also could have been killed. Is it worth $800? Yeah. $820? I don't know. That's right. He could have got killed. That's a damn year worth of groceries. That's right. $820. He's a Marine. I'm sure he's faced worse. He knew what he was doing. Did he? Absolutely did. All right. You guys want to play bag tag? I mean, I don't know that you want to. I would love to. I would love to. All right. The way that you play bag tag. This is a game that Woodsy and Jay have come up with. And we have like this FM 94.9 paddle that LOB uses. And then we have this big, heavy, rubber ball that weighs about a pound. And it's filled with fluid. Blue, glittery fluid. And they stand approximately 10 yards from one another with their legs spread open. And they bounce the ball. and they try to tag the guy in the bag. Now, if the guy flinches as the ball is on its way, L.O.B. releases punishment to his butt with the paddle. There it is. All right, here we go. Jay begins. Oh, wow, Woods. That was rad. It went right into Woods' bag. He didn't move. Not even a millisecond. Not even an inch.
All right, here we go on Jay. You make me nervous. Lynch! Lynch! Lynch! I need more room. Double whammy. Double whammy. Come on, LLB. Give it to him. Give it to him. Oh, man! She never hit you that hard. Darn! Wow! I will. She unleashed the fury. There you go. Wow, Woods! Hit you right in the poof. I'm in the zone, pal. Above the piece. I'm in the zone. All right. Jay is looking at the ceiling. Woods bounce. Oh! No, but it was a direct. There was no flinch. Right in it. Now Woods, here comes the bounce. Not a flinch. Oh, wow. Got him right in the schnocker. And he didn't flinch. Woods did not flinch one. Oh, wow. That one got you. Oh, wow. That one got you. He always, he like works on the right one.
Like a boxer. Like a boxer working on your chin or something. Or your left eye. Your chins. Oh, wow. Wow. Here's the bounce. I saw a flinch. That was definitely... You're flinching like crazy. Oh, God. Dang it. Last one. Last one. Oh, there's more. Dang it. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. I thought I missed. Oh, gosh. No, you didn't miss. Oh, no. Hey, I did another shot. Why did he get one extra? Do it. Because he does that to you. He fell for it. Here we go. Oh, my God. Then he hit me with the back of his hand. Get him. Jay's spread. Damn it. And Jay didn't move a muscle. Because I hit him in the belly button. Every time they walk around each other, they cover their nuts. Yes. Even at my house on Saturday, I had to walk around with one hand on my piece.
Don't blame Jay for that. That's true. Last week, L.O.B., and this argument was split right down the middle. L.O.B. believes, I think it was you and Jay that agreed. Me and Woods, actually. It was you and Woods that agreed that video games have gotten worse. Yes. Crackheads. Yes. And I said, really? So you're telling me. And they were naming off all this stuff that they think has gotten worse. They said that, for instance, video games have gotten worse. And we'll explain these in a minute. Ice cream flavors, potato chips. Lauren said even in a short amount of time, her favorite drink, kombucha, has gotten worse. Now, I want to get your perspective on this, M1 Nation, 5701-949. Because we were arguing about it in here about the video game thing. And I said, so you're telling me that if you get the DeLorean up to 88 miles an hour and you take some kid back in time to 1984 with Call of Duty 4 and you show it to a kid in 1984, he's going to be content with Pong?
With Atari's... It's a bit extreme. Pong. Pong is a bit extreme. Okay, Pac-Man even. Pac-Man, Contra for Nintendo. Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong, Q-Bert, Frogger. I'm not discounting those. Here's the deal. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out. Dude, I'm sorry. No game has been invented since Punch-Out that's that good. That's Mike Tyson's Punch-Out when it first came out. I understand. And I agree with you. Uppercut. Those games are good games. They're great. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, great games. But games are better now. I'll give you that. Obviously, the graphics are better. But I'll tell you what. These games now are so freaking. Freaking. They're so freaking confusing, dude. You can't. I bought a game called Mafia because I like the Mafia. And I played it for 30 seconds. And I go, I'm done. I can't do this. I don't have. I remember when technology passed my parents by. It was sad. Easy Call of Duty. It's just too many. Like, turned off by it. How do you control this? How do you set the time on the VCR? I've got to be a level 17A. You've got to buy books. You've got to buy books. You've got to buy maps. You've got to do all this stupid stuff. I've got to know that. There's 15 buttons per controller. There's 15-year-old kids yelling at me from Wisconsin. How have potato chips gotten worse? Too much variety now. Yes. There's two.
much variety. I don't want explosive jalapeno jack chips, dude. I don't want dill chips. I don't want blazing hot freaking hot wing chips. I need you to explain what bothers you about their existence. Because I used to be able to go in and get some ruffles and I get... Now, I got to look through 15 bags. What is this? What is this? Now, if I don't get this, I'm missing out. I got to try this now because it's new and it's jumping out of the aisle at me. I got to try Blazing Hot Ruffles. Ketchup flavor. Ketchup. I like ketchup. I love ketchup. I like potato chips. Do I have to get the ketchup flavor? I don't know how that got ever out on the market. Ketchup flavored. It's true. Might as well be mayonnaise flavored. That's disgusting. There's too much. Variety. Leave it alone. Okay. Yogurt. I used to like cherry yogurt, raspberry yogurt, blueberry yogurt. Now there's lemon meringue. There's cheesecake yogurt. Coffee. There's coffee flavored yogurt. But they still have your faves. Yeah. Sometimes. Sometimes they don't. Variety is the spice of life. It's the confuser of life. I don't want orange marmalade yogurt. But I do. Do you? Make your own. I will. And I do.
I don't think anything has gotten, in my opinion, I don't think anything's gotten worse. I think things have, you know, products have improved. I used to play RBI baseball for days and had so much fun. You had three pitchers you could choose from. It was the greatest. Now it's so hard to, like, be good at these games. Okay. This one I can go for. This is M1 Ninja from Claremont. Go ahead. Hi, guys. Hi. So I agree with Woods and LLB. And a great point is television. So now we have 200 channels, but everything is just poopy. You know, reality television, like compare that to a show like Cheers or back in the day when I was little, I loved, you know, like TGIF. And I think that television now is just, I don't know, it's not worth watching. I don't own TV for that reason. Yeah. Thank you for the call. I will agree that reality TV specifically has gotten worse. And this is what I mean. At some point, they felt that reality on its own was not good enough. And so they had to start faking it. That I don't like because it seems better when it's real. There's a new show that I watch on Discovery called Sons of Guns, where they take guns and they can make anything you want. You want a gun to shoot an arrow? They'll make an explosive arrow come out of a gun. And they're doing this on a lot of shows now.
They also do it on a bunch of reality shows. Somebody will be on the phone. And the conversation will sound like this. Hey, Barry, how are you? And then you hear Barry on the phone. Great. What's going on? Not too much. Hey, listen. I just found a gun here that I think you may be interested in. What kind? Well, it's an AK-47. But I'm going to turn it into an AK-47 sniper rifle. That cannot be done. Oh, yes, it can. And I'm going to do it. Well, let me tell you something, Barry. If you can do it, I will buy it. But it better be good. Oh, I will guarantee you, it will be good. That's exactly it. And I'm like, why are they doing that? What do you take us for? Why don't you call Barry? And see what Barry actually says. And if Barry just is normal and he doesn't say things that are super exciting like, well, it better be good. It's okay. See, but I think there's all levels of reality TV. I mean, I love Survivor. And there's the new one that's Mission Impossible, I think it is. It's great. It's putting people, real people in awkward situations. And I love it. That's great. That's great. But they're not faking.
That's what reality shows are doing a lot now, is they're faking conversations. They're fake storylines. Storylines, but also they'll say, you can tell that the instruction was, I need you to say this, I need you to say this. I just like to watch real life unfold. That's why I love the show Swamp People. And the reason I love it is because they have an environment. That is so weird. These rednecks from the swamps are so on their own. Fascinating. That they don't have to do anything. Just let them live and film it. That's the most interesting part of that show is just their background and what they do. It's insane. And I would watch that any day over like a Brady Bunch or any of the crappy TV we watch as kids. Brady Bunch. I agree with Jay. Well, I agree with him. Because I don't watch anything that isn't reality television. Wow, really? No. Nothing. Nothing. Shocking. Everything that I watch has got to be documentary style or reality. I don't watch reality shows per se. I watch documentary shows like that one. Yeah, I don't watch. Like Sons of Guns or Mounted in Alaska or, you know, those. Now, that's an adult film, actually, Mounted in Alaska. You probably don't watch that anymore. No, it's not. You're not that guy anymore. I don't watch that.
It's a show. Mounted in Alaska. I don't watch. I don't like. What do you watch on TV? I'll give you my lineup. Daily. Seinfeld. Office. Movies. Baseball. Modern Family. That's it. Love Modern Family. That is all. If one of those isn't on, I'm watching a movie. I don't. Gotta study the craft, my friend. That's right. Keep up on comedy. Comedy. You're funny. You don't have to watch The Office to figure it out. Study up on it. Really? You study up on it? Sure. Really? Sure. How about it just be funny? Well, it's easier said than done sometimes. Oh, wow. M1 Scott from San Diego. Are you there? I am here. Every single person listening will agree with me. It's not as good as it used to be. Damn right. What? Damn right. I agree. Oh, man. You'd eat an orange. It was so...
freaking sweet. It tastes like candy or watermelon. You could taste the sugar. What the heck happened? Really? Yeah. Fruit is not as good as it once was. I think you're both insane. You guys gotta buy local. Yeah, you're local. You're local. I just said it to fire you up. I had some peaches over the weekend that were fantastic. Me too. Grilled peaches. Where'd you buy them? I think it was Trader Joe's, and they were just organic and beautiful and delicious. See, some stuff, when it's organic, it tastes better. I have not, and this is no indictment of California, but I have not had a good apple since I moved to this state. Not one. Not one good. Have I been like, ah, that was a good apple. In fact, I've seen Woods spit apple out. Throw him. Show us a brown spot. Yeah. That's what I'm talking about. He gets so mad. I get so mad. All I want is a crisp, sweet apple. That's it. And you can't find them. I can't find it. Every time I bite into it, it goes... Yes. Yes. Crumbly and mealy. And I'm like... Out the window. He says they're mealy. They're all mealy. He's very mad about this. Dang it! I'm going home Friday, and I'm going to feast on apples the whole weekend. M1 Paul from Rancho Penasquitas. Hi. Yeah, I got some even worse news. Okay, so milk does, right? Yeah. No chocolate in them anymore. They just took the chocolate out. They did.
What? Yeah, a little Butterfinger Snackers. Too expensive. It was too expensive. It's called chocolatey. Whenever you see the word chocolatey, that means there's no chocolate. The reason the fruit sucks, nobody wants to grow organic with regular poop. It has fertilizer. They use harsh chemicals so they can get bigger yields. When we were a kid, they used to use poop to fertilize it. They don't do that anymore. Bring back the poop. Bring back the poop. Bring back the poop. Bring back the poop. Thank you. I didn't mean to. I thought he was done. You got to look excited. Trigger figure. Wait, you didn't even address this thing with me. What? No chocolate. I've never heard of this. Yeah, it started a few years ago when the economy went into a tailspin where they started reprinting on candy things, you know, candy that was no longer milk chocolate. They were starting to use just regular chocolate because the milk actually, in order for it to be considered milk chocolate, they had to pour milk in there. Well, it's too expensive. Wow. So they started scaling back. Now they've scaled back enough to where they're, I don't know what they're using, but it isn't chocolate. It's mocklet. It's mock chocolate. Mock chocolate. 570-1949. That's hideous. Is the phone number. You didn't know, right?
I love Milk Duds, too. I had a peanut butter or a Butterfinger bite this weekend. Now I feel gross. Disgusting. I'll tell you what I don't think is as good. I don't think that movies are as good as they used to be. No way. I don't think movies are as good as they used to be. Comedies that come out now, it's one out of 15. One out of 20 are like classic. Back in the day, it seemed like everything was good. At least, you know, funny. Higher volume. Lower batting average. Lower quality. Do you have one? 570-1949. M1 Dugtastic from PB. Yeah. Well, actually, I have a couple now. As far as the fruit, I'd definitely say farmer's market. Uh-huh. That's a good idea. Done it. Bar none.
Still, I've done it. I've done it. They actually just opened one in PB. Wood says you can't get a good apple there either. I go to that one off of close to where Mike and I live, and it's a farmer's market, and I go there, and the vegetables are delicious. I get the apple, and it's... I felt like I was at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I ate the strawberry. Like, the strawberry actually is what strawberry used to taste like. Does Snozzberry taste like Snozzberries? It was fantastic. On top of that, Mikey, swamp people. Did you see the episode where the guy shoots his son? Yeah, in the face. What? Oh, I haven't seen that one. Terrible. Yeah, he's trying to shoot. Yeah, he's junior. And he was shooting the alligator because the alligator was on the bank. Well, when he did, it wasn't actually a bullet that went into his kid's face. It was fractured bone from the alligator. Oh, my God. Because when you hit an alligator, when you shoot an alligator, there's a quarter-sized spot on the back of his head that you have to hit called the kill spot. And the reason you've got to hit there is because it's the only soft spot. The rest of it's all skull. So if you hit it, it'll shatter into like, you know, what do they call it? Fragments? Yeah, but shrapnel. Shrapnel. Wow. And so the alligator is on the bank going for the water.
And the dad doesn't want him to hit the water. So, boom, he shoots him in the head. And the fragments fly up, hit his kid in the face. Oh. And the arm. And his son's pissed. And he's like, and so they're interviewing Junior in the side interview. And he's like, he probably thought I did it on purpose. I didn't do it on purpose. I'm trying to shoot him, man. This is the guy. Oh, darn it. Oh, man. It's the greatest show ever. It's pretty freaking good, man. Shoot him a little bit. Shoot him! Shoot him! A little bit! That's a code for Elizabeth. Shoot him! I thought you were saying a little bit. Yeah, that's what he was saying. Shoot him a little bit! Talk about too much variety. I went to buy jeans the other day. Oh, my God. Forget it. Yeah. There is like a 75-foot wall of different cuts. When you're fat, that's a good thing, pal. And they're $300 each. Hey, when you're me, though, the more variety, the better.
Make some noise in our live studio audience. Guess what they found in this L.A. TSA officer's possession. He's been booked and arrested. We'll tell you why. I love this guy. where we're going to be on Thursday night, 7 to 9, doing a Wipeout viewing party because Woods and Jay are going to be on Wipeout. How about that? Yes. In fact, right now, Jay's profile picture on Facebook is him covered in mud on those big, gigantic red balls. Sounds like a Friday night. So, Jay. Yes. What's the deal with your wife and texting? She's kind of a late adopter to texting. And I wish I would have never gotten her to the texting phone because now we get in the car to go somewhere and that's all she does the whole way. Finally, I'm like, hey, I'm right here. She's probably texting her boyfriend. Probably.
You guys just do that to each other now. Is that your bit? On and off the air. That's their bit. I'm so done with texting overall. It's just such a pain. It's like somebody's always hitting you and you're always hitting somebody back. And then no conversations anymore. You're like, oh, I'm texting. It's like, I don't like phone calls though. I prefer text. Sometimes I do too. Isn't that okay? Why is that not okay, Jay? You know, just talk to me. Let's just talk. You don't answer your phone that much. Raise your hand in the studio if you're a phone call preferrer. Raise your hand in the studio if you're a text preferrer. Everybody. It's everybody. I'm both. I like them both. I like them both for certain things, you know? I could be fine if the phone element were not available to us. Didn't exist. We could text. I'd be fine. It's all right. My friend has a fake, when you call her voicemail, you know my friend Meryl. It is her friend, her guy friend, recording that the voicemail box is full so that nobody will leave her voicemail. That's funny. Genius. Yeah. The voicemail box is full. That's great. Yeah, I was like, whoa, and hung up the phone. I do that to Rebecca. Get in the car in the passenger seat when she drives somewhere and I'm texting. You do that.
To everyone. At every place. All the time. Everywhere. To Rebecca's defense, she doesn't blast the deftones as loud as they can go. So that there can't be a conversation with your friend. So, what am I going to do? Is that right? What am I going to do? When you drive with the woods, you blast music. It's so loud, you can't have a conversation. It's true. It's a true story. So, you got to do something. Maybe vibe out on the wind. Vibe out? On the wind. Yeah, just roll the window down and just chill. What are you, a hippie? Pocahontas? Yeah. Just vibe out on the wind. Just vibe out on the wind. Just chill. Yeah, man, just play your tambourine and smoke a jerk. Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with texting, and I prefer it. What about when, if your boyfriend is, he doesn't even have any more texts or Facebook to look at, so he's downloaded an app called StumbleUpon.
And it just takes you to random website after random website after random website. Because you'd rather do that than talk to the person that's in your presence. Oh, my. Namely me. I want to know. I wish that I could press a button right now and it would tell me what you want to talk about. Anything. I know, but not anything. That's very broad and you know that that's not true. There are specific things, LOB, that you would like to talk about. And so I would love to know what that would be. Anything. Anything that involves right now, this moment. What do you think? Do you think this dress looks good? Tell me the truth. If I... You want your man to talk about that? What girl doesn't when you leave the house and you're like, what do you think? This or this? Okay, no.
You're not going to take my opinion anyway. You're going to wear what you want to wear. No, I take his opinion very seriously. Where should we go for breakfast? This place, this place, or this place? Yeah. I didn't say yes or no. I listed options. You guys are playing on this float? Me too. I know. What? 30 seconds later. Sometimes I just wait and see how long he'll go until he'll notice that I'm just standing there. You brought your iPad to the beach the other day. I wanted to read. What? I wanted to... Did you download the Ocean Waves app on the iPad? Got your iPad. You should have surfed. I know. I didn't want to. I just wanted to go out there and support Woods. You could just wade. Yeah. Or Bill or Phil or Gary or Greg or Steve or John or... There's a certain age every man reaches where he's okay with just going up to right here in the water. Just standing there with his hands like that.
You're almost there. Yeah, you're almost there. Hey, at least I'm at the beach. It's true. I was very proud. Did you take your shirt off? No. Rebecca said it's okay that it's only dorky if you get in the water with a shirt on. We had a big blowout. And I'm like, babe, I go, is it okay for me to wear shorts and a t-shirt and flip-flops? And she goes, no, you got to wear trunks. Like swim trunks. And I said, but I'm not getting in the water. And she goes, you can wear that Adidas tank top. As long as you don't get in the water with it, it's okay. And I go, are you sure? She says, yeah. Apparently not. Apparently you're not supposed to, according to Woods. I didn't say anything. Jay said it. Yeah, look at the crooked sheriff sitting over there just wearing a stupid, swearing a tank top to the beach, crooked. Tank top.
Maybe only appropriate at the gym. Sleeveless shirt. It wasn't tank top. It was sleeveless shirt. It wasn't. No, it's not a tank top. Tank top has the... It was an Adidas... It's a sleeveless shirt. It's like a crew neck shirt with the sleeves cut off. Muscle shirt. Yes. So what happened? You wore it in the pool? No, I didn't wear it. He didn't get in the water. I didn't get in the water. I wore it to the beach. Oh, uh-huh. It's okay. That's all right. Anybody come throw water on you to keep you wet? Judging eyes. Yes, to keep my gills wet. That's Jay. That's Jay, our friend. My friend. Your friend. Made fun of my big butt several times today. Your butt is tiny. Thank you, Hillary. I didn't say it. It was not nice. Do you think Lauren has a big butt? I didn't say it was nice. All I'm saying is some objects may appear larger in the mirror. Hillary, I guess you didn't hear when I said all women are prostitutes then, because you probably wouldn't have liked that one either. That's right. I said it.
Hillary, we take y'all to dinner. We pay for it. Y'all give us sex. That makes you a hooker. Yeah, you're going to make sex to me. If you make sex to me, that means... That makes you a whore. We made an off-color joke about Amy Winehouse. Yes, she did. Real classy. She should have gone to rehab. Yes, yes, yes. Classy with a K, Jay. Hillary. Is it okay to wear a tank top? No. You already know the answer. That's fine with me. People take iPads to the beach they want to read. Elderly people take iPads to the beach so they can read. Some teenagers that hate their parents and don't want to spend any time with their family. Leave me alone on my iPad. Some people would take a book. I did that too. You did. In fact, I didn't even take the iPad out. I took the book out. I read the paperback. That is true. And you went and videotaped Navy SEALs. Yeah. That's a true statement. That's not homoerotic at all. No. Carrying big logs around. They were carrying telephone pole. Yeah. That's awesome. So you had to film them? Three minutes left now. He wanted to document it. I'm kidding. I have so much respect for Navy SEALs. He wants to be a filmmaker. That's super cool. It's sweet. I don't want to. It wasn't.
You want to be a filmmaker. You do. That's cool. That's good. It was a good subject. We walked out and we both go, holy cow. They're running out of the surf with this giant log. I thought it was pretty interesting. It is. That's cool. Put it on the YouTubes. Yeah. Quickie Sheriff over there just filming everything up. The documentarian Sheriff. In your spare time. So let me get it straight. Give me evidence. Yeah. When you're not. When you're not collecting fake evidence, you're just out there documenting seals. Document this. Look at that. Show Hillary. Look at the Korean sheriff. He did look like a crooked sheriff. Watch that. He showed his glasses. Hillary. That's so good. You definitely are. Hillary, what's coming up next? What do you got? Maybe I grabbed some them crooked sheriff vultures. There you go. Bob Marley, I shot the crooked sheriff. Yes, Hillary. It'll be good. There you go. Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. I shot the crooked sheriff. We will see you back here tomorrow at 6. So Mikey shows up.
