What does Sienna do that Rebecca does 80 times a day? The Cardiff Kook prankster comes forward to claim his fame and LOB just might know him. The gang comments on the audio of a dude stuck on a plane parked on the tarmac for several hours. The city of San Diego’s money pit just got deeper as they plan to light up the Coronado Bridge. Babyshaker calls in and does his thing with LOB again. WoS has Norv Turner audio and then Norv appears in studio! The panel discusses the bullfighting ban in Spain and a new gel that might put dentists out of business. Obama stiffs the Boy Scouts for the cackling hens on The View. Audio of an 11 year old rapping leads to Sienna blushing. Hoyle admits his mama might be a little racist and then he asks Mikey what is the best salsa for his Tostitos. The laughs double when Hoyle talks about why his new girlfriend thinks he’s a black marine! Gross foods are discussed, and Mikey and Woods don’t mind some cow tongue in their mouths. After getting ribbed about it, Mikey says he threw out his maroon “manties”. Sienna’s secret recording captures the gang gabbing about gobbling Wendy’s food. Lauren tells how she fights the Wendy’s urge. Fast Food talk leads to an M1 calling in to describe the “Gang Bang Sandwich”! What kind of dude breaks up with a chick if she packs on extra pounds? Woods calls Mikey a sally after Mike explains why he would never break up with a girl for that reason. Some guy wound up too tight calls in to complain about the Cardiff Kook shark jokes, saying sharks are nothing to joke about. This sparks a big debate on taking things said on a radio show way too seriously and a funny cartoons bit is started. NTT returns to TV themes and “Swanson’s TV Dinner” kills it. Could this be a trend for Sir Cloaks-alot? Jay gets irritated playing video games with little punk whipper snappers. Woodsy gets all bent out of shape when the rest of the cast continue to joke about the Kings of Leon as the pigeon poop jokes fly! Selena Gomez really bugs Tom Tom Girl. The coolest Mayor ever, Mayor of Encinitas calls in and says his son thinks the Cardiff kook is gay! Stadium food violations will make your stomach queasy, the the stadium food parody song will tickle your funny bone. Sienna misses getting flowers. Celebrities dissing other celebrities audio are played.

KBZT San Diego, the Lincoln Financial Media Station, the new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Yeah, coffee. You can't figure out a way home to make the coffee stronger. It's a product of new coffee makers. They just don't go that strong. Can you just add more coffee? Add more coffee, maybe? It's one of these things. It's a grinder, you know? And it'll only grind a certain amount. If you set it for a certain amount of cups, probably a trick to it. I'm just not figuring out. My dad would flip. This is my dad. This is the way that my dad likes coffee. Boiled water with a Visine dropper of coffee in it. And he would put three eye drops of coffee into the boiling hot water and stir it up. And that would be the way that he likes his coffee. His coffee looks like iced tea.
Weak coffee is so much grosser than strong coffee. Yeah, it is. Oh, absolutely. If you had to choose weak coffee, really weak coffee or really strong coffee, which would you go? Really strong. Really strong. Just add some milk. Yes. Cream it up real good. Uh-huh. And you can't make weak coffee any stronger. You just can't make it any better. But you can dilute the stronger one. Have any of you guys tried the stuff from Starbucks? Instant? Yeah. Is it good? It is. Actually, I thought it was pretty good. For instant coffee. I'm going to get a couple of those. It ain't bad. That is the truth. 570-1949 is our number. We line you up as soon as we start, and you can talk about whatever you want to. If you want, you can talk about the berry in my drink yesterday. You can talk about anything. How was that? Delish. It's gross. I bet. Tastes like chalk juice, right? Yeah. Yeah. And they did exactly what an M1 called and said that they were going to do. They made me drink this fizzy drink that made me feel like I was going to burp. And they said, do not burp. Hold it in. Oh, that's awful. That's why they didn't want me to eat. Just hold it in like the way that Woods holds his yawns in. That's right. Yeah, you got to go. It's a good technique. 570-1949. Come on, call us up.
Ask questions, talk about whatever's happening in the news that you've seen that is interesting to you. Call and visit Sweetly with us. Yeah, visit Real Sweetly. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. Wearing my FM 94.9 shirt today. Just to give you a visual. You're driving in your car. You're saying, what's that handsome devil doing right now? He's rocking his 94.9 shirt. Me, I'm in a white V-neck. That's right. Every day. Standard. Yeah. I love this 94.9 shirt. I know, I like it too. I've got one. You know what it is? I put that logo on and it feels like I'm a part of something very cool. Yes. It's because you are. Yeah, I am. This radio station, and I've always known this, this station is cool. Yeah. There's no two ways around it. Like I said, when I started here, I thought I knew a lot about music until I walked into this building. Yeah. I feel like the dumbest guy in the world. When I'm talking to Garrett or Hillary or Jesse about music, I'm like, oh, please don't engage me. Please don't engage me. But we're getting there. We're getting there. We're learning about. Absolutely. We are on the cutting edge. As far as an alternative rock station, this is probably the coolest alternative rock station nationally. Absolutely. And is nationally known as just a badass station. Yeah. Just a cool station. And it's alternative. A lot of stations say they're alternative, yet they play the same stuff that everybody else plays.
You'll hear some stuff on this station. You're like, holy, Calvin heard that forever. What's one of my favorite songs? Another way that you know if a station is cool is when the artists that are played there think that station is cool. Absolutely. Yeah, when you told me the call letters, when you finally revealed to me what station you're going to be on back in January, I was like, yes, yes, yes. That's cool. That is cool. So there's five people on the show. Myself, Woodsy, Lauren, Sienna, and Jay. Sienna's doing something right now that my wife does 80,000 times a day. In fact, Sienna's addicted to it, and so is my wife. I want M1s to take a guess at what it is. I'm not going to tell you. I want you to take a guess at what Sienna did and that my wife does 80 times a day. I feel like I need to do it now. And they are, in fact, addicted to it. And I'm not going to tell you what it is. You've got to call us at 570-1949. Besides the Dodger.
or excuse me, the Padre Marlins tickets. Jay, do we have another prize that we could give away right now? Absolutely. We have a smorgasbord. What do we get? They can have their choice. We have UFC Live at San Diego Sports Arena. Sweet. That's what we'll get right there. You want to go see the UFC this weekend in San Diego Sunday night? Call us right now and correctly guess what it is that Sienna was doing. that my wife does a gajillion times a day, and that I am 100% sure both of them are addicted to it. Yes. And couldn't stop if they wanted to. No. So many things to talk about. 7.30 this morning, we're going to be playing Hidden Audio, which is when Sienna takes out her recorder and just hits record. And we on the show do not know this happens off the air. I had to be really sneaky about this one. You're a rascal. You're a rascal. I am a rascal. I'm proud of it. Yeah. So we will play it back. Big-breasted rascal. That's right. You've got to throw that in there, right? I mean, rascal. And at 9 a.m. this morning, we are going to be giving away those very coveted Padres Marlins tickets.
It's a weekend game, too. It'll be fun. Weekend game. Let's see. M1 Jesse is on the 5 South. What was Sienna doing that my wife does and that they're addicted to? Gotta be playing with her hair. That is not it, but that's a great guess. That is a great guess. It is. But that is incorrect. M1 MEI from Escondido. Hello. Hello. What do you think that she was doing? Popping her teeth. Ooh. That's another great guess. 80 times a day? Hey, I know people that do. I know people. My sister-in-law is constantly with the floss. Constantly. Constantly. Great guess, though. M1 Zona Cat from San Diego. What was Sienna doing that my wife does and that they're addicted to? Zona Cat. Yeah, go ahead. Oh, Facebook. I know people that do it. I'm a working girl here. What do you think I am? I know people that do it. M1 Pony Boy from Oceanside. What was she doing? My guess is biting their fingernails. Great guess. Not it. That would be for Woodsy. He bites his fingernails, right, Woodsy? Not so much. Not anymore? Not on the air, really. Let's see. I bite my fingernails. M1 Harold from San Marcos. Is she putting on chapstick? That is correct, dude. I love my chapstick so much that I actually wrote a blog about it the other day. Did you really? I did.
Yeah. Harold, hang on because you're going to get to go see the UFC at the sports arena Sunday night, bro. You guys rock. Yep. Hang on the line, dude. That's funny. That's hysterical. You couldn't stop if you wanted to. No. And everyone always says, you know what's bad for you to put chapstick on so much? It dries out your lips. But it's not. There's only some kinds that dry out your lips. And I have a mild kind. I have mine, too. Yeah, that one's fine. Burt's beeswax is fine. The kind I have is cold. Mission Skin Care Organic Strawberry. My wife turns into Napoleon Dynamite. Where's my chapstick? Can you just bring it to me? My lips hurt real bad. I have like three different kinds in my purse at all times. Me too. I do literally have three in there. If I put chapstick on, I feel like there's wax on my mouth. It's so uncomfortable. Don't put chapstick on right before a haircut. Because then it sticks, it's all the little pieces, all the little pieces of hair that get cut stick in there. That's gross. Yeah. What do you feel like when you don't have enough on? That my lips are just a dry, chapped mess. Like it's the desert? It's the desert, and who would want to kiss these things? Let me ask you. What? How long between chappings? Oh, sometimes a couple minutes, sometimes like an hour. Wow. I mean, it depends on how, you know, what I'm doing. If I get real busy.
Rebecca is always putting that stuff on, man. Really? I've never seen her do that. Oh, dude. Now that you know. Now I know. You'll recognize it all because she's constantly with the chapstick. Loves it. The Cardiff prankster, the name of the statue in Cardiff, I believe, is the Cardiff kook. Well, that's what people call it. The Cardiff kook. Yeah. And what it is is a very effeminate surfer. Okay. That's a good imitation, Mike. Yeah. Weird. It's pretty dead on. It's a statue of a guy surfing, but his hands are making this noise. That's what his hands are saying to us. Do you want to know what it's... I just read this. It's officially called... The statue is called the Magic Carpet Ride. Are you kidding me? Oh, wow. I never knew that. The Magic Carpet Ride. Why is that? That's weird. Because he's supposed to be riding on a magic carpet. Yeah, but he's referred to as the Cardiff Cooke by all the locals. You know how I know you're gay? Well, you got your little hands out, you know, in a way that go, one would think. You look like the Cardiff Cooke. You look like the Cardiff Cooke. How about that? So this story's made national news. It's been all over the place. On Saturday, I'm sure you heard that a papier-mâché shark was put around the Cardiff Cooke statue. A huge, like 15-foot...
Shark. You know, it looks like Jaws coming up and eating it. And people have been going there taking pictures and everyone's like, who is the person that did this? Come forward. Who's behind this? The mayor has said, you know, my personal reaction is I love it. They're not going to be punished. It's not breaking the law. Yeah, they're not going to be punished. So someone came forward yesterday. Really? Yeah. His name is Eric. That's all we know, right? He's not giving his last name. He is a waiter. And he says, waiter by day, sculptor by night. And apparently he and about 25 friends put... 25? Mm-hmm. Put together this papier-mâché shark. Hey, I got a joke for you. What? How many waiters does it take to put together a papier-mâché shark? How many? 25. And she just told me. Yeah. She just told me. 25. I know the answer. 25 waiters. Oh, my gosh. My gosh. It took them two weeks to make it. They came up with the idea a year ago, or he says he came up with the idea a year ago. He and his 25 buddies put it together. It's made out of newspaper, wood, and chicken wire. Jay. This is going to turn into another Napster situation where one of his boys is like, freaking Eric stole my idea. Yeah, it's actually mine. I came up with the shark thing. I'm dying to know if it's my ex-co-worker, Eric.
You know, there may be more than one Eric. No, but he is the kind of guy that would do that. Does he sculpt? He's a renaissance man. Every time I talked about something, he was like, oh, yeah, I make that in my basement. He does? Maybe he's just a topper. Let's call Eric. Let's get him on the line. Maybe it was him, though. You got his digits? No, I don't think I do anymore. Really? Call us Eric. I want to know if it was him. Well, he says that about 13 people... of the 25 got together around 4 a.m. Saturday and walked the creation over to the statue, assembled it around them, around the statue, and he said everyone was laughing so hard. I bet. You know, just like, this is the most ridiculous thing we've ever done. Percentage of chance that they did not videotape themselves doing it. Percentage of chance they did not. There had to have been something. I say there's 2% chance they didn't. Oh, bigger than that. 15. No, they didn't. They thought, hey, we may be breaking the law. We don't want to record it. We don't want someone to be the guy that slips it. Yeah. I love.
pranks like that. Me too. Harmless pranks. Harmless pranks. Yeah, and I just want you to come forward, all of you guys, all of you strapping young surfing guys because you're not going to get in trouble. All of you young surf guys. Yeah. You're not going to get in trouble, so why don't you tell us who you are? We'd like to have you all in the studio. We would. We have room for all you guys. All 25 of you. You know what? And if there's not enough room, some of us will make some room that you can share a seat. I have plenty of room in my house. Creepy. 5701949. Hey, if you know any of the 25, we want to talk to any of the 25. Yeah, and just so you know, the city took down the shark yesterday. I thought they were waiting. But people even, they started a petition that said save the shark. People wanted it there all the time. I wonder where the shark is now. That's what they should do. I wonder if they can make something that would look just like it, but it would last. They should pop the shark up all around different parts of San Diego surrounding different things. Yeah. That's funny. They should. That'd be awesome. It's a harmless prank. Yeah. Somebody brought a goat to our high school, senior year of high school. That was pretty funny. It was roaming the halls. A goat? A goat. And just what? Let it loose? Let it go. Senior prank. Yeah, you're like, whoa, that's a goat. All right.
Don't get behind that thing. I don't have my homework. The goat ate it. The goat ate it. Yeah, I'm off to algebra. Oh, wow. Let's see. What else is going on? Oh, we also have the video that went viral about the guy sitting on the airplane. Now, Sienna, do you know this story? Kind of. I mean, I know. Because I was talking about it this morning. Now, I don't know all the details, but I kind of skimmed through it real quick. He was on a Delta Airlines flight in Phoenix. And, you know, what people keep complaining about on flights is they're getting stuck on the tarmac for hours. And when you're stuck there, majority of the time. 99% of the time, they don't have the air conditioning going. And there's that many people stuck in there. There's babies crying. It's awful. There's nowhere worse you could be, basically. And so after three hours, this guy took out his camera. I think it was his cell phone and videotaped himself. Put it on YouTube. And put it on YouTube and just showed how miserable everyone was. Oh, my gosh. His name is Tony Morales. And here's what he said on the video. Yes, those are beads of sweat. Here, watch.
That's all the sweat just from my forehead. Now let me tell you what he did. He took his, he's a bald guy like me, shaved head, and he took his hand, made his hand flat, put it on the top of his head, and just like a squeegee, squeegeed forward. And when he did, so much sweat poured. It was like a waterfall down his face. Oh, it was. It's like a fountain. I mean, it's a good idea. Yeah, for sure. To show how comfortable we are. You should never be sweating this much on an airplane. And we can't have water because apparently they can't move the water carts or whatever until we're back at the gate. The door's open. So we sit here and suffer. I have two sides of me. Wow. One side says, really? Really? I mean, is it that bad that, you know. You're using words like suffer. And I only say that because I'm like, I only say that because there are people who in the world that are truly experiencing suffering.
Well, sure. It's not the Holocaust. I understand. It's pretty bad. I understand. And for someone that might have a medical condition or elderly or a baby. Well, about a month ago, there was another story of someone who was complaining and people stuck on the tarmac for hours and someone was taken to the hospital afterwards because of the same thing. No air conditioning. They're not giving them anything to drink, nothing to eat. Well, there's no doubt. So there's one side. The other side of me says, really? We haven't figured this out yet? Yeah. So we can have DirecTV with 455,000 channels on it. Yeah. But we haven't figured out how to get water to people when they're on a plane that's sitting on a tarmac. We haven't figured out how to make an airplane that has, like, some sort of generator that will turn the air conditioner on while we're sitting out on the tarmac. I'll tell you what, man. It's a Woods, Team Woods, standard bit. When we get on a flight, I've got a giant bottle of water and snacks in my backpack. Because you just never know, dude. A giant bottle of water. First purchase, right when I get to the airport. It's a good idea. Yeah, because I don't want to be sitting there like an idiot. Pay about $12 for that. Yeah, for sure. With every penny. There's more. They won't open the door, and people are standing, sweating, dying. Even the flight attendants are coming in. Yeah, I bet. Ugh, gosh. Every once in a while, a pilot probably comes on. Every time you hear him come on, you're thinking, oh, this is good news. Right?
First you hear the thing go. Yeah. When you're sitting on the plane, right? And you hear that. Hey, wait, wait. Shut up. Hang on. Thank you for waiting, ladies and gentlemen. This is Captain Stubink. I just want to thank you for waiting and thank you for your patience. They're always the most dynamic. Oh, yeah. Super dynamic. I just want to thank you for your patience today. We're still waiting for ground clearance. to be able to get the plane back to the gate. But we just want to thank you for your patience. And what we're hearing from the gays, it's going to be a little bit longer. So we're looking at about anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes. So thank you for your pay. I mean, you have to remember, though, he's just as miserable as you are. And the person that's even more miserable than you is the flight attendant who has to deal with all of us and be stuck there. And we're polyester. Yeah, and we're polyester. It would be great if he could say whatever.
like what he was thinking. Yeah. Which is, quit your complaining. Shut up, please. I mean, I... I got a wife at home that is just beating me up about this new car. And if you could just shut up, please. I can hear all of you back there. I would love it if one of them said that. I would. It's better than the flight attendants who are comedians and try to make you laugh. Get out of here with that. Southwest, right? Oh, yeah. Come on. What is it? When you apply for the job, you have to make a joke? You got to make jokes. All right, let me hear your best joke. If I want to see jokes, I'll go to the Catskills, okay? I don't want to see it on a freaking flight. I'll try to get to Miami. Well, the city is spending a little bit of money, and we'll tell you on what. And is there a problem? Oh, boy. Is there a problem with this? Ryan Matthews, our first-round draft pick for the Chargers, looks like a stud. Is there a problem? Is there a problem? Is there a problem with him getting into camp? Is he holding out?
Is there a problem? How long is it going to go on? The Woodsy's got Norv Turner's comments on it. Coming up here and just hang on. Listening to The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm. Toasty. I'm Stacy Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I am chubby. Lauren. I have a very sophisticated palate. Oh, really? I do a lot of things I shouldn't do. Sienna. I go on long walks. And Jay. I just got reminded of the worst haircut ever that I had. I forgot about it. I had the rat tail. On FM 94.9. 7.30 this morning. Sienna was at it again. We're going to get to the point where we don't talk off the radio because we're afraid that she's going to be taping us. It's only fair for the listeners to know, you know, how we talk off the air, too. Behind the scenes. Yeah. This is a behind the scenes conversation off the air in our office. And it was about food. Weird. I said some pretty fat things, I'm pretty sure. Well, we'll see. I curse a lot off the air, unfortunately. Well, those don't make the cut. Oh, it's too bad.
Got to edit those out. Yeah, FCC will not let us put a lot of Woodsy's commentary. It's just not allowed. Yep. It talks like a sailor. That's right. Nine o'clock this morning, we got Padres Marlins tickets for this weekend. So be listening. Panel coming up in a little bit. Hear about bullfighting and the latest with bullfighting. We're going to tell you about that. What about this new gel that they have for your mouth? Could stop you from having to get fillings. We'll tell you about that. So great. We got a lot of stuff to talk about. Very full show. Oh, and then, so what's going on with Ryan Matthews, man? Ryan Matthews, first round draft pick for the Chargers. Stud. Stud, man. He looks, to me, he looks like a L.T. To me, he looks like a leprechaun to me. To me. He is, he looks, when he's running, he looks like a faster LT. Younger? Yeah, bigger. He's strong, this kid. He's good, but he hasn't, has he something? Maybe pick up a pen. Maybe this happened today.
Maybe put your John Hancock. I'd like your autograph. Let's put it on this piece of paper. There you go. So, as you know, San Diego is not very good at doing a checkbook. No. City Council has gotten us into some situations where they've kind of mismanaged some money and we're in a bad situation. And they said, you know what? In times like these, best thing to do is throw up some, you know. Lights on the Coronado Bridge that'll cost thousands and thousands. Why not? More than thousands. We're talking millions. Maybe build a new city hall. We're doing that, a new downtown library. Maybe build a library. Maybe build a library for 700 mil. Oh, yeah, we're already doing those. Never mind. Don't build a stadium, though. No, don't build a stadium. Don't build a stadium. God forbid. This proposal has been in the works for a while, and it's about, you know, why does our Coronado Bridge not have a beautiful light display like most other famous bridges? Why not us? Yeah. Well, a new design for lighting up the Coronado Bridge has been chosen. Yeah. The winner is a British design team, and they're going to be illuminating both the deck and the pillars below it. And they're going to do it seasonal, too. So, you know, Christmas time, it'll be red and green. Chargers do well. It'll be blue and gold, you know. That's cool. Make sure that's right. Illuminate. Uh-huh. The lighting project will cost between $3 to $5 million. Of course it will. Yeah. Of course it will. What do you think the logic? That it'll bring in tourists?
I guess. Make it look pretty. I mean, I guess. Hey, if I had to put myself in the ridiculous shoes, I think that the ridiculous shoes are like, you know what? We put lights on the Coronado Bridge and then when we have baseball games here at night and they're showing a view of the city and our skyline, people will see our beautiful bridge and they'll say, wow, that really looks like a nice bridge to travel on. The only good thing is they did hire Mapple. Yeah. To do the lights. So we decided that we would do the lights wirelessly. Yeah. Made of? Yeah. Aluminum. So they had this meeting yesterday. I have to read this to you. It's so dumb. What is it? The board of port commissioners will make the official final decision in September, but a special panel has decided a British design team shows it has, quote, the light stuff. The light stuff. I know. I'm like, does it really say that? Oh, that's ridiculous. It says that the lighting on top is going to be shifting based on traffic conditions. The supports below will change colors to reflect the changing seasons, like I said, if it's Christmas and special events. Great. So it's just going to be gorgeous. Hey, M1 Sean from La Jolla has a kind of side fact on the Coronado Bridge. Go ahead, Sean. Hey, what's up? What's up? Not much. Did you know that when you're going on the Coronado Bridge,
They have a phone box to, you know, help if you're going to commit suicide. Right. Well, they actually have a lock on the box. So how is that person supposed to get help? They have a lock? Wow. On the box? No, they do not. No, come on. That can't be true. Yes, it is locked. Well, I'm sitting here thinking about it. I'm like, it can't be because you, there's just simply no logic. I want to know how he knows. Yeah. How do you know? Because I used to work down in Coronado and I'd have to go over the bridge every day to work on the military base. Was there any directions that said do this or do that to use this? There's just a sign above it that says, you know, if if you suicide hotline and, you know, a phone number for it. And if you need help, please call this number. OK, I have a theory of a theory. Thank you for the call, Sean. I have a theory on it. Maybe it's this. Maybe the theory is. Most people carry cell phones now. They were misusing that box and they were, you know, people were just.
walking across a bridge, and they figured they would make long-distance phone calls. And then it wasn't traceable? Hey, I'm trying to come up with something. No matter how many prank calls are going through, you leave that phone there and available. I'm sure the hotline was a 1-800 number, but maybe you're right. Maybe they were just calling in, hey, I'm going to jump, and then nobody was pranksters. Well, maybe, but what I'm thinking is the phone was a working phone, and maybe they were like, I'm going to call my cousin. No. In Canada. I think you had only allowed, like, toll-free... I bet it was like a bat phone, man. But you pick it up and it rings right to the... Yeah, yeah. Well, I know we're going to have an M1 that knows. They're going to make it as easy as possible to get, you know, the right people on the line. I'm going to bet you that there's no lock on it. I'm going to bet you there's a box. I bet you there's no lock. Maybe there's a keyhole. Maybe it's not locked. Maybe it just looks like it's locked. Maybe. I'm not calling Sean a liar. Who would I be to call him a liar? Yeah. I'll go check it out after the show. Okay. Yeah, right. I'm scared to death. I'm scared to death of the Coronado Bridge. How come 7-Eleven has locks on the doors? I don't know. I've never figured that out. Well, maybe there's a problem and someone tries to rob the 7-Eleven and then they need to close it temporarily to keep people out. Lock yourself inside. Yeah, that was always like that conundrum out there. If it's open 24 hours a day, even on holidays, why is there a lock? Why is there a lock?
Uh-oh. And one baby shaker is on the line. Hi, baby shaker. Good. Lock is on the box, man, to save money. You know, I mean, we built the bridge. We're about to get the lights put on it. Hey, let's put a phone on there and put a lock on the box. You know, we offered a service, but you just can't have it. I wonder if that's it. They're saving money? They locked it up because they had to save money? Because it's showing for a baby girl to call me because she... What's up, baby girl? What's up? Where's the email at? I'm having a hard time with the whole wood thing. I tried to type it out, but my fingers just wouldn't. We're going to have a meet and greet soon. Maybe show up. Baby Shaker's shy. I think Baby Shaker's shy. I think he's shy. Yeah. All talk. Look it. The girl in the relationship is like, where you at? In the relationship. In the relationship. Maybe he's really a white guy named Harry. Yeah. That is just.
Putting on a little... Putting on a bit. Guy's wearing a cape right now. Just got out of Comic-Con. He's like, hey, what's up, girl? Whatever. Yeah, I got swag now. That's right. Hey, Baby Shaker. Woods at MikeyShow.com. Yeah, it's easy. Come on in and make it right. Lauren at MikeyShow.com. That's true. We love you. We love you, man. Fun show. Fun show. All right, dude. We'll see you. I love Baby Shaker. Me too. He's hilarious. He's the best. Let's find out what's happening with Ryan Matthews. Let's find out what's going on in all things sports with our boy Woodsy. I'm going to give you that North Turner audio, but I'm going to give it to you in a second because I have to tell you what happened at Petco Park last night. It was not good. Padres were shut out. They lost two to nothing to the Dodgers. I watched up until about the sixth or seventh inning, and then I had to go night-night. What was the problem? Dude, we had the bases loaded at one point. Nobody out. Okay, so three Padres on. Couldn't get one run in. It was brutal, man. And, you know, Billingsley made great pitches when he had to. John Garland pitched his butt off last night and just couldn't get any runs to the guy. Maybe get a bat.
Woodsy's been saying that, and it's true, man. It's true. Because, you know, after Gonzalez and after Headley bat, it's like, it's just such a dramatic drop-off in production. And to go out and get one more stick to protect those guys, it really would make all the difference. So Jerry Harrison last night was pretty upset talking about not being able to drive in runs, cut one. Even though we're 0 for 7, I think we had a couple balls hit pretty well. You know, Adam. So obviously you'd like to. push runs across every night, but sometimes it just doesn't go your way, and sometimes they're going to make good pitches. So that's the name of the game sometimes, and you just got to come back ready to play tomorrow night. You know, they've taken five of six from us this year, dude. The Dodgers. The Dodgers, and they're five back now of San Diego. And when you're losing head-to-head, you lose all game. I know it, man. I think a lot of it is mental because I read an article about how the Padres are now postponing Petco concert series because they're so confident that they're going to be in the playoffs. Oh, my gosh. That just came out yesterday. And when stuff like that happens, man, it makes me nervous. Isn't that bad luck? It's bad luck. And they've canceled the concert series. You guys, if we go to the dictionary and we look up.
Counting your chickens before me. It will say when the Padres cancel the concert cities at Bedko Park. Because of the thought that they may be in the playoffs as the representative for the NL West. And maybe wait to cancel it. Yeah, I know. Well, tonight they go off again. 7-0-5 Clayton Richards against Hiroki Kuroda. There you go. Last night, San Diego native and Washington Nationals A. Steven Strasburg was scratched from his start, was warming up in the bullpen, got a little twinge in his right arm. The GM shut him down and said, no freaking way you're going out to pitch tonight. Here's their GM, Mike Rizzo, after he pulled the plug. Steven was having trouble getting loose in the bullpen, and so I pulled the plug on it. Precautionary move again. erring on the side of caution. I just didn't want him to go out there when he was struggling to get loose in the bullpen pregame. Yeah, and you know, they have absolutely nothing to play for. Nothing. Dead last place. Don't risk it. He is the face of your franchise without question. You don't want to risk a move like that. Also, yesterday, there was another Chargers practice, and a couple of guys asked Coach North Turner, so what's the deal? How do you feel?
Is this thing going to get done? Here's Norv, cut three. There really isn't. And that's, you know, the only one that, you know, I'm sure there'll be an update on is Ryan Matthews. And that's a work in progress. And I know both sides are working hard to get it done. And when you have that mentality, it usually gets done. You know, I would not expect it to take very long. I had a conversation with Ryan last night on the phone. I said, you don't have to come in to camp if you don't want to. But if you don't. I'm going to come over to your house. I'm going to stick my thumb in your eye until it bleeds. And then I'm going to break those legs. And then I'm going to slit your throat. So that's what I told him. He can do what he wants. So hopefully that deal gets done pretty soon then. Also, Terrell Owens is officially a Cincinnati Bengal. Oh, wow. Get your popcorn ready. What? Let me tell you. I wrote about it on my blog. And I said, Marvin Lewis, the head coach at Cincinnati Bengals, he's had some issues with guys with character problems. He's had some issues with it. And so I thought, maybe he doesn't have the internet or listen to sports talk or maybe he doesn't have a TV. I think maybe he's just a bad guy. Maybe he doesn't follow the NFL.
Maybe he doesn't follow. Yeah, maybe Marvin Lewis just doesn't follow the NFL. No, I think he's a bad boy at heart, and he's got a soft spot for all of them. Really? Dude. Gotta be. It's the home for whereward souls. Yes. But I'll tell you what, man. Those two clowns in the locker room and on the football field, I want to see it. I got to see it. They're buddies. Yeah, they're buddies. They train in the offseason together. And his salary, so he got a $2 million base, and he had $2 million in incentives. Oh, man. So, dude, I don't know. I mean, I don't know if it's going to. You know what else they got? Antonio Bryant. Another loud mouth. Oh, wow. Well, yeah. Marvin Lewis should be nominated for Sanehood, man. Some fines in that city this year. Here's the deal. That's it for Woods on Sports, right? That is Woods on Sports. The deal with T.O., season two. That's when it happens. Oh, yeah. Season one, he's great. He's great for the first season. He'll be on his best behavior. It always happens in the second season, okay? And so this season, I think he'll be fine. But you got to figure, dude's like 35, T.O., and so how much is left in the tank, you know? But then I also thought about it, and I'm like, well, it's always a quarterback thing. When he was in Philly. Philly! Philly. He was in Philly. First of all.
I went to high school with Jeff Garcia. He said Jeff Garcia, he thinks Jeff Garcia's gay because Jeff Garcia, I don't know if you guys know any talks. He kind of talks like this. He's married to Super Bowl Playboy Playmate. But he said Jeff Garcia's gay. He went after Donovan McNabb. Did the same thing, Tony Romo. And I'm like, I wonder if Carson Palmer would take that. Well, here's the deal. Take it or not, those guys are buddies too. And they work out in the offseason. And a lot of it was Carson's doing. Really? He called Marvin Lewis and he said, hey, I've been working out with him. The guy's electric. Get him done. Get it done. That's good. I'll take him. I want him. But, man, those two egos in the same football field, in the same stadium, is a big deal. I have to tell you, it does make me kind of like knowing that T.O. and Ocho Cinco are on the same team. It does kind of make me want to check it out. 100%. It's going to be a show. Yeah. I mean, it seems to me like that's, I mean, people will watch. So over under that those guys are already working together and planning little post-Touchdown celebration. Definitely. 100%. 100%. The panel is, what's going on? What kind of things are happening in the news? What's the big stories of the day? Told you bullfighting. This thing about your decaying teeth.
That's right. And so we'll discuss. The panel is myself, Woods, and Lauren. And we get 20 seconds per topic. It's kind of like round the horn. All right. So the first one is a story out of Spain with bullfighting, right? Yes. As we all know, bullfighting is a huge tradition for so many years in Spain. Mikey. Mikey. And, you know, families go to watch the bullfights. Young children are raised to go see these bullfights grow up to be bullfighters, stuff like that. And so as of today, the regional parliament in Barcelona, its region of Catalonia, is going to be voting today whether to ban fights in Barcelona. Now, my guess is that the reason that they want to ban it is because it's inhumane. Because what they do is at the end of the fight, they kill the bull with a stab at it. Yeah, I mean, that's part of it. Also, in Barcelona, they have one bullfighting ring only. And there's only about a dozen fights a year. And so in order to keep that open, I mean, there's not very many fights. And it's only one ring. It's not that big in Barcelona anymore. But people are outraged. And like, how can you do this? This is our culture. Right. Okay, Woodsy, where do you stand on bullfighting? Well, I'm against bullfighting. But, you know, the other side of me.
realize that this is something they've been doing forever there. And, you know, but I don't... I'm an animal lover. So I'm out on the whole thing. So, I mean, it doesn't really bother me either way. If they keep it, I get it. If they don't, I get that too. Okay. Lauren? Yeah, I think as an American and someone that's never actually been to Spain, it's hard for me to say, like... you know, to ban it there because it is such a big part of their, huge part of their tradition. But generally on bullfighting, I'm not in. I wouldn't go see it. I don't like the end result. My take is I realize it's a part of the culture. I understand. But I don't know, man. I just don't understand. And I'm going to say flat out, I don't understand. So people might call and go, Mikey, how dare you? But I just don't understand. You know, you got to stick the swords in the bowl and everything. And maybe somebody calls and they go, well, Mikey, what you don't realize is that that bowl is going to be. That's what they're raised for. Killed for this right after anyway. And, you know, they do feed the hungry with the meat that they get. Maybe. I don't know. You eat it anyway. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's just that's the tradition. If you're going to kill it anyway, might as well make a show out of it, I think is what they do. Maybe that's the deal. And I've seen it.
I would see it. If I was in Spain, I would go. I would like to experience the experience of it. Slow and painful. Slow and painful for the animal. No, it's not slow. They do the sword and then it's done. They spear it many times and then they finish it with a sword. But when they do the spears, it's not... Isn't it those ones that kind of go just in the surface? You have to get the bowl to fall down. And sometimes when you stab, it doesn't go down right away. You got to get it a couple of times and then they kill it. I get it. I understand where Jay's coming from. Yeah, it's sad. But, you know, how many of us eat meat? It's true. Isn't that sad? You know what I mean? Like, where do you think that came from? How many of us step on spiders? Yeah. I mean, but if you're going to kill something, wouldn't you want to make it as quick and painless as possible? You would. I understand that. Or did you just want to torture it for a while? No, you'd want to make it quick and painless. Like a small calf? I get it. No, they don't. Well, we're going to get on the whole thing. Tell me about the new gel for the teeth. This is nuts. Okay, how many of you have fillings in your teeth? I do. I do. I don't. Lauren does not.
Is it perfect teeth? We're perfect. What's it like over there? I've been told that I need them. I'm like, no, I don't. And I don't come back. Are you kidding? Trying to sell me. Yeah. And you get me. I'll get cavities eventually. I promise you. But now there's a new gel that can help decayed teeth grow back in just a matter of weeks. I knew it. Which means an end to fillings. And it's a more permanent thing. I mean, I guess these teeth grow back stronger than ever. Fillings, you know, they can fall out. You have to get them redone. It's a nightmare. It's painful. They just put this gel. It was developed by scientists in France. And it just prompts cells in teeth to start. multiplying and you'll have your tooth grow back okay so new tooth tissue here is my question for the panel and i don't want to upset dentists i love you all dds dds i love you all i'm i'm simply i'm simply wondering as a citizen is this dentistry bit is it a racket and what i mean by that is seems like every time i go to the dentist they're like listen
You could really benefit from this $90 billion procedure that I'd like to do. You know, I think this is, it's not a full-blown cavity, but I really think that just proactively we should, it seems like every time. Listen, I just came in for a teeth cleaning. I walk out of here, $9 billion later, you know. I'm in pain. So, Woodsy, what's your take? I think your teeth are very important. Is there anything worse than meeting some? Somebody with some real jacked up teeth. Like you're somebody of the opposite sex you're looking at maybe as a potential mate for yourself. You look over and she's got, you know, hammer time on her grill. It's no good, dude. Or they look like they've been chewing on cement. Yeah, chewing rocks. I think spare no expense at your teeth, but you can kind of discern what's BS and what's not. Anything preventative, I would ignore. L-O-B. Oh, man. I hate. I hate going to the dentist. I'll get waxed. I've gotten a tattoo. I've gotten piercings. I hate going to the dentist. Really? I feel like they hurt me so much. They show me pictures of decaying teeth, and they're like, that's where you're headed, sister. And I'm like, I never had a cavity before. There was fluoride in the water in New Jersey, and then I got here, and I feel like it's been a bit ever since. I want the gel. I'll take the gel, and I'm with L.O.B. Maybe it's a bit.
It's not a bit. I don't know. Some of it's a bit. Some of it might be a bit. What about braces? You've got to have them. That's orthodontics. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's orthodontics. But I'm talking about you go get your teeth cleaned. They're like, listen, we think you could really benefit from nine fillings. It's kind of like when I took my car in to get the oil changed, and I walked out, it was $600. Yeah, you never, you just never know. I got sold. You have to, like, I've used that disgusting mouthwash because I think that my gums are, like, receding back into my head. I'm like, oh, my gosh. Because they scare you. Yeah. Scared to death. Obama's going to be on The View. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. The View. Yeah. There's really no more to it than that. There is. What? You know, some people are. Kind of laughing at the fact that Obama is going to be on The View. He's making history as the first sitting president on a daytime talk show when he's going to be sitting down with the ladies of The View tomorrow. Well, he's actually going to be taping it today, but he's going to be missing out on another historic occasion, which is the Boy Scouts Jamboree. I know.
What did the Boy Scouts blow out? I know. It's the Boy Scouts' 100th anniversary, and they do this every year. It's this big week-long festival in Virginia, you know, right by Obama's stomping grounds. And all three presidents before him made sure to make an appearance at the Boy Scouts. Jamboree gave a speech, everything. There's over 45,000 Boy Scouts there. They can kick rocks. Obama said, sorry, guys, I'm going to be on The View. I won't be able to make it this year. Woodsy. What's your take on Obama, A, on The View, and B, not going to this thing that all these presidents have made it a point to go to? Here's the deal. I voted for the man, but, you know, I'm kind of kicking myself some days about this. And, you know, here's the thing. He's pretty much damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. Now, if he didn't go on The View, went to the Boy Scout Gymboree, somebody would say, well, he should have his ass down on the Gulf Coast right now. That's where he should be. He shouldn't be hanging out with Boy Scouts. I see where he's coming from. He is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. L.O.B. I love Obama. I voted for him, too. I can't finish watching an episode of The View because it's so irritating. So I don't know why he's going on it in the first place. And to miss this thing when The View films five days a week, I don't understand. Maybe reschedule it if you even feel like you need to do that horrible show. Well, my take is.
Everything is done for a reason. He's going on The View because he obviously feels that he needs to connect with women in America. That's who the show is geared towards. So for whatever reason, he feels that he should be connecting with women in America. Personally, I feel like there's too much Obama stuff. He does a press conference, it feels like. every day about something. Maybe Michelle goes on The View. Yeah, maybe Michelle. Camp campaign season is about to move into full swing, which is, you know, probably why he's going to be on The View. Anybody trip out when a kid is involved in some kind of televised talent contest and they're criticized? Does that trip anybody out like an 11-year-old? It's me. Is it? Well, we'll see. Weird. That's a new bit. That's right. So much fun. She tells us afterwards.
She goes, we'll be. Yeah, sometimes. She didn't that time with Woods. Yeah, it was great. But sometimes she'll go, like, when, I don't know, was it yesterday? Or the day before we were in the elevator? It was the day before, yeah. We were in the elevator. She goes, I just taped you guys. Yeah. We go, what? She goes, yeah, I just taped you guys. Everyone mentally went through their head, like, nice. How many F-bombs did I drop? A few. And then at 9 o'clock this morning, we got Padres Marlins tickets for you. So we will do that and give you some Padres Marlins tickets. Nine o'clock this morning. Hidden audio coming up at 730. Let's see. So, yeah, this show is real big. America's got talent. Don't watch it. Don't watch TV. But this kid is 11 years old. He's a rapper. His name is CJ Deepa or Dippa. Come on, CJ. Hello. It doesn't sound as good as Jay-Z or Eminem. No, it doesn't. He's only 11. I know that that's the thing. He's only 11, but am I judging him on rapping or am I judging him on 11-year-old rappers? Because if I'm judging him on 11-year-old rappers, I don't have much to go on as a point of reference. Little Bow Wow, maybe? That's how Little Bow Wow was. But wasn't he way better? I don't know. I don't know. I just don't know.
Wow. Sienna pulling out the Lil Bow Wow. The way you move so fast. Across the floor. You know that shit. You know you run through my mind like all the time. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Just blasting that in La Jolla in your car back in the day. Lil Bow Wow. No, that was for me. Because she's blushing. She's blushing. Beat run. Piers Morgan. Piers Morgan's one of the judges on this show, America's Got Talent. And here's what he said to this 11-year-old kid. CJ. I think it's time to get serious, to get down in the hood with the resident rap. That sounded good, didn't it? Sounds great when a white guy goes, it's time to get down in the hood. This is my world. Look, I think on the negative side, I couldn't understand a single word that you sang. Easy, Simon. Maybe clean out your ears. On a positive note, I can never understand a word any rap star sings. So it doesn't matter. I can. I understood. Nothing like corny white guys. Nothing like it, dude. Hey, you can't understand nothing that no white guy raps. Why don't you be trying to imitate me with? Oh, sorry, dude. Sorry, Hoyle. Every time you do it, it sounds like you're trying to do your version of me. Is that the deal? No, I was making fun of that guy in that clip. Making fun of old Hoyle? No. And even after everything I did for you teaching you how to bet on the ponies? Yeah, dude. Did it work?
No, I lost pretty much every race that day we went out to the races. But I saw you. I saw you and your mama at the Del Mar races. Yeah, people have said that mama's racist. No, at the races. Wow. Wow, is that a Freudian slip? Yeah. You say mama's racist? Well, I mean, she kind of is, but she's raised in a different time. No, I said at the races. Oh, at the races. I thought you said mama's racist, which a little bit, but it's really not. I mean, she just, she don't understand. She comes from a different part. Listen, y'all don't understand a lot about me and my culture because I come from the tough part of Mobile. Mobile, Alabama. There's a tough part. There is a real tough part, Sienna. And mama didn't really let me run around with a lot of Mexicans like Mikey. I couldn't run around with African-Americans when I was growing up. Of course, there was no African-Americans in the town that I lived in or Mexicans. Isn't that right, Mikey? How would I know, Hoyle? Mikey grew up in California. I'm just saying, I figured you... By the way, Mikey, since I have you here, I went to Stater Brothers the other day, and I got me some Tostitos. Oh, my God. Where is this going?
I'll be gosh darn if I don't know the best brand of salsa. What is it? Oh, my gosh. Hoyle, I have no idea. Don't you? Mikey, I heard this song by a Mexican woman singer the other day, and she was talking about... Who is that? I don't know, Hoyle, by you singing that. You know Mikey doesn't even speak Spanish. I don't even speak Spanish. He doesn't listen to Spanish music either. Doesn't he? Listen, when I was growing up, all we watched around the house was Hee Haw. She and I didn't even see a black guy until I was 34. Oh my God. I didn't. I didn't. That's just the truth. They didn't have a TV. We didn't have 50 cents and we didn't have Eminem. How'd you learn to be such a good rapper then?
Ever since I got a little bit older, Mama started turning her back when I was buying my rough and hardcore CD. In your 30s? My 30s. Algaro. Algaro. I started getting the real rough stuff, like the Algaro. And I started getting all that stuff. And Mama would hear it sometimes and say, turn that stuff off. You know, it's the devil's music. And I said, listen, Mama. At some point, you got to let me stretch my wings and be my own man. I can't just sit here and watch Lawrence Welk and Pat Boone all day long. Took until 34 for you to finally. But wait, don't you still live with your mom? Yeah, he still lives with Mama. He was at the races with her. Oh, right. That's 100% true. Mama is a bit racist, but she's really not. Besides the point. I grew up, my heroes were the tough guys. Sergeant Carter on Gomer Pyle. Usually the tougher men. But I ain't racist. Let me tell you something. That question to Mikey was just about salsa. I thought he'd know. That's all. I got a girlfriend. What? Good for you. You just throw that in there? That's right. She's African. Really? African American.
You've got to say every time you've got to be so PC. Yes, you do. She's not African. All of us are like, is she from Africa? She's actually from South Africa, so maybe she is African. Maybe she is African. Maybe you guys give me a chance here. Sorry if I didn't get 911 on the latest PC words or whatever. 411. 911's emergency. You're our station manager. You're supposed to know those things. No wonder I got in trouble because I called the... I was trying to get the... I called 911. No, can't do that. I said, hello, Encinitas. What's your emergency? And I said, can I get the number for Taco Bell? Not on this line. They said, ask Mikey. That's what I thought. I said, I was going to ask him, but then everybody gets all upset when I ask him about Taco Bell. So, how's the new girlfriend? Pure ebony princess, darling. Oh, my goodness. That's how she is. I met her on firstbase.com. First base. Is that where you only go to first base with people? Pretty much. Interracial couples website and first base or less relations. Or less. How far have you gotten? About halfway between home plate and first base. Wow. Nicely done. Not that far. Sorry, moving a little too fast. They've spoken on the phone.
Not that far. Internet chat? We've exchanged a couple of emails. That's good. So that's your new girlfriend. I haven't gotten a nerve up to send her a picture of oil yet. I'd say if you're only sending emails, you're still in the batting cage. That's where we are, for sure. I told her I'm a black Marine. Yeah, she's... I kind of am. You're not even close. How are you kind of a black Marine? You shop at Boot Barn. I also shop at Hoyle's House of Pants. That's right. That's true. Let me tell you something, y'all. If anybody here is racist, it's Mikey. He can't even speak English or Mexican. You know it. Mikey, speak some Mexican. It's called Spanish, Hoyle. Speak some Spanish. I can't speak Spanish. Then you're racist. Honduran, whatever it is, speak something. Hoyle. A lot of people don't know this about me, Sienna, but I am a minority. No, you're not. You're not. You're wide as the driven snow, pal. From Alabama. AB blood type. AB blood type. I guess technically then, yes. Whatever. Y'all can't even imagine what it takes knowing that I could bleed to death because there ain't a lot of people out there like me. It's hard living as a minority. That's true. Type AB, you try it out. That's true. None of y'all are. Small percentage of the universe is AB. I think I'm O positive. See? Yeah.
That's right. I've been impressed being AB all these years. I'm getting. You haven't been impressed at all, Hoyle. Hoyle. G-I-T. Maybe get. Y'all get. Y'all you get. He's our station manager. Has he done anything? No. No. I haven't done anything. He runs now. You just sit back in your office. That's all he does. He sits back in the office. He doesn't do a thing. Have you implemented anything? Independence Jam was mine. Yeah, right. You wanted 50 Cent and M&M. Garrett ain't going for it. No, he's not. We're an alternative station. It's unbelievable. I love oil. I was at Stater Brothers the other day. They've got like a whole aisle of English food. What? I know. Penguins? Well, they had stuff like that. But the English will eat eggs in like brine. Ew, I know. Like pickled eggs? Yes. Repugnant. It looks like pickle juice with an egg in it. That's what they eat in Pennsylvania. They do? Yeah, that's where Todd's from. When I went to... It's so gross. They're purple. Have you ever had one? I tried it. He made me try it. Does he eat them?
No, he doesn't really like them. But where he's from, that's like when we go out to restaurants, they always have them on the side of the plate. Are you kidding me? It's disgusting. That's filthy. And he made you try it? Yeah, they put the plate in front of me and I was like... Was it not half bad? What is this? It was disgusting. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten. It was a pickled egg? Yes. It's a hard-boiled egg that has purple dye on it, and it's been in pickle juice or something. Beet juice. It's disgusting. I've asked people before, what's the worst thing you've ever had? A lot of people have said that sushi, sea urchin, is the worst thing you can ever have. Our friend CB says, because I asked him, I'm like, what's the worst thing? He goes, eh, I'm pretty much open to anything. I said, have you ever had sea urchin? He goes, yeah. I go, is it the worst thing ever? He goes, eh, I wouldn't order it. He goes, but I wouldn't order it, but it's not the worst thing in the world. I go, what does it taste like? He goes, the bottom of a fish tank. Oh, wow. Delicious. I go, holy cow. Wow. I know the bottom of a fish tank. Mudfish. We did a challenge. We had to eat all these different foods. Yeah.
And we ground up Madagascar cockroaches in a blender. Wow. We did mudfish. And then we did cow's eyeballs. Oh, Jay. And I tasted each of them. You did, Jay? Two of them. Two of them, the Madagascar roach. It's bad. The cow's eyeball is repugnant. But the mudfish, which people actually eat from the 99-cent whatever store it is over there. Oh, my gosh. The Oriental Market. Yeah. I could not. You can't even open it in the room. It just permeates. Well, with Rob, we used to make Rob eat a bunch of gross stuff. Do you remember the durian? Yeah, I thought that was pretty tasty. You tried that? Oh, you're a lunatic. What is a durian? It's a fruit that they won't let you eat on the train in Vietnam. You can't eat it on the train. I thought it smelled bad, but it didn't taste bad. Yeah, the smell is bad. The smell is supposed to be hideous, but see, I've always thought that, like, our sense of smell is there so that we don't eat stuff. Right. You know, because, like, if it stinks, we're like, we're not supposed to eat that. Then why do we eat hard-boiled eggs? That's true. It's delicious. The smell doesn't always match up. I guess that's true. I've eaten cow's balls. You have? Yep. Wow. Oh, I have. I did, too. I did, too. Why? I did, too. Rocky Mountain oysters. I had that. They call them calf fries, too.
I didn't like it. See, the worst thing I had was a foie gras. Foie gras. Which is, I guess, duck liver? Yeah. Something liver. Yeah, it is. And I ate it to be polite. And then afterwards, I was like, what is that? And I found out. I don't think cows have those. I think it's bulls. Yeah, it was. Fine, whatever. Bulls balls. What are you, a farmer over there? I was just trying to make sure we keep on the straight and narrow. That's true. Yeah, it's this thing. They had this huge, huge fraternity party at my... First college. Yeah. And it was called calf fry. And they send the pledges out to do the snipping and the cooking and the cutting and the frying and all that. You've got to be kidding me. And there was enough for 25,000 people. 570-1949. What's the, what is by far the worst thing you've ever had? 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Can I ask him more about, what do you mean the snipping? Yeah, they had to go out and snip. Snip. Legally? Legally. Yeah, they owned like a ranch and they had cattle. You just like catch them when they fall? Yep. When they snip them and you fry them up and you eat them real good. You know, bear grills. Does the cow bat and the bull die? I don't know. No. I don't think so. It's like castration. Oh my. You do that, but you won't go see bullfighting. It sounds worse. I didn't do it. I just ate it. Yeah. I didn't do it. Bear grills on Man vs. Wild. He said the worst thing he did, because they've asked him, what's the worst thing that you've had to eat? Because if you...
are not familiar with Man vs. Wild. They drop Bear Grylls off in the middle of nowhere. And he's got to survive. And part of his bit is that he eats hideous stuff. And they asked him, what's the worst thing that you've ever had to eat? And it was raw goat testicles. And I watched the episode. And it was, hey, here's the thing. See, to a lot of people, the idea of what we eat is filthy. You know, in other countries, like you tell them what we eat and they go, you eat that? Like, that's disgusting. Like what? Like pork. That's the grossest. In fact, I dated a girl that was Arabic and my brother one time for breakfast made quiche and it had bacon in it. And she was like, she woke up and went. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Pig. Yeah. Yeah. And it like.
Bacon tastes good. Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste good. Well, yeah, certain religions, it's like, no, no, no, no. Listen, Salisbury steak with scrambled eggs smothered in gravy sounds real delicious to us, but take that to Korea. Yeah. They're eating dog. I know, but that's their culture. To them, that's not gross. To us, it is. You know what I mean? It's like... Good old U.S. of A. Good old USA. Who's the guy on the food network? Is it Anthony Bourdain? Bourdain. Yeah. He does all the foods around the world. Yep. Oh, my gosh. He's tried the durian. M1 Sanjaya from San Diego is on the line. What's up, brother? What's going on, dude? Hey, frickin', I've eaten century-year-old duck egg. It's called- Hundred-year-old duck egg. Yeah, the century egg. It's called the century egg. Why? Dude, I don't know. I live, like, right by a Vietnamese market, and I was like, What the heck? You know, I've always wanted to try it. And I bought them and I tried them and it wasn't all that good, man. I can pretty much eat anything, but that was pretty nasty. Where do they keep it for a century? They keep it like in the refrigerator section. Yeah, I've seen it. It's hideous. And it really is. It's really like they find a way to preserve it, but it's a really super old egg, right?
Yeah, they preserve, the way they do it is like, I guess they keep it in like some sort of sand or something. Oh, gross. Yeah, they sell it at the Asian market, man. You go down to the Asian market, you can get some crazy stuff. How about the Balut? Oh, yeah, dude. What's a balut? It's all about the balut. Basically, it's an egg that's starting to form the baby chicken inside or duck. Oh, God. And so it's all in there and it's juices and it's kind of hard-boiled. And you peel it and there's like beaks and claws. Yeah, it was fantastic. M1 Summer from San Diego. Oh, my gosh. Good morning. What's the worst thing you've ever had by far? Cow's tongue. Oh, I like it. Lingua. I like it, too. Do you like it? Oh, yeah. We were young. My dad made my sister and I eat it. And it was, I mean, I cried. I just sat there and cried. It was disgusting. I had a tongue sandwich. Yeah, me too. That's exactly what I had. In fact, I watched my wife's, I basically watched my wife's, you know, her life leave her body when I ordered it. Oh, my gosh. She was so upset. We went to New York City.
Got there, went to Carnegie Deli. It was late at night. I was starving. And I was like, hey, listen, if I'm going to try it, the best place to try it would be at a great place like Carnegie Deli. And so I ordered it, and she looked at me like, you monster. You monster. It's delicious. It tastes like hot dog. It was great. Okay. Sienna taped us off the air. She does this. She's got a recorder. This is Bird from Dragon Eyewear with the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report for this Wednesday morning, being brought to you by the good folks at Guayaquil, Yerba Bate. Today we're seeing pretty much the same as what we've been seeing, but a little bit of a...
Swell showing that we haven't seen in a little bit, and that means that we've got waves running in that ankle-to-knee-high zone on average, and occasional waist-high sets now, as there are signs of a new south-southwesterly swell is expected to modestly fill in throughout the next couple of days. Dealing with a negative low tide this morning, so size and shape at all areas is pretty weak running in that, again, ankle-knee-high zone, but those larger sets can occasionally come through and expect more of that as the tide fills in. Overcast skies will greet you once again, but it looks like it's a little bit thinner, maybe an earlier sign of sunshine that's come our way today, and winds are on it once again out of the west, which is getting to be kind of an obnoxious kind of usual thing. But as the day continues, look for some slight improvement, and it could be fun towards dark tonight if that wind lays down. For up-to-the-minute surf reports, forecasts, go to surfline.com, and for everything you need in order to go surf, check out one of South Coast Surf Shelf's five locations, or go online at southcoast.com. The surf report is brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate, and it can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. To the Mikey Show with Mikey. I want to be a movie director more than anything else. Lauren. Yes.
I'm going to get a wheatgrass shot. Woods. I'm a great baseball player, but I could be better. Sienna. Only time I'll eat spinach is if it's in artichoke dip. And Jay. I would rather be skating or surfing any day. On FM 94.9. Going to be hearing this hidden audio here in just a second. Don't forget, got Padres Marlins tickets at 9 a.m. Marlins coming to town this weekend. We'll be doing that. What's going on in news, Sienna? If you've been watching the TV and the news at all, you may have seen this fire happening in Kern County in California. Up to 40 homes have been destroyed due to this fire, which started on Monday. They're still not sure how the fire started, but man, it is a blazing. It's about 70 miles north of L.A., that area, if you're not familiar with it. Also, this is pretty funny.
The offspring of a zebra and a donkey has been born. It's called a Zedonk. Really? I was going to say, it sounds like the name of my rear. Yeah, it does. The Zedonk was born about a week ago at the... Just.D. Wild. Just.D. Wild. Wildlife Preserve in Georgia. And it has, it's brown with black and white legs and face. Why are they, why would they let them mate? Why didn't they go with Debra? It's a Debra. Debra. It would look like Debra. Yeah. Why didn't they go with that? Because Zedonk is so much more fun to say. Zedonk. How about a Dabra? A Dabra? I like Zedonk. It's going to be a new Beyonce song. Yeah. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, Jack Tatum, former Raiders player, nicknamed the Assassin, passed away yesterday of a heart attack at age 61. I've seen some hits of this guy. He actually severed a guy's spinal cord all the time. He hit him so hard. Oh, my gosh. The guy was in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. No way. They called him the Assassin. The dude could hit, and he passed on to the next plane. 61 years old, Tim Tebow.
Has a new endorsement. Quarterback for the rookie quarterback. Denver Broncos. Yeah, he's pitching jockey shorts. Real sweetly. The underwear? Yeah. Jockeys. Oh, hey there. What does he look like? He's cute. Let me tell you. Check him out. If I could pitch jockey shorts? 100%. Absolutely. You could. Your maroon mantis. How dare you? You have been known to wear the maroon man panties. Yes, you have. Also, my... I didn't even know what to say. There's a little update. I can't. I do. I did. I threw them out. Did you? Because of you. Because they fell out of your pant leg when you forgot they were in there after the wash. I wore maroon underwear once. Disgusting. It's not disgusting. It's not disgusting. Hey, I got an update for you on the Des Bryant situation from yesterday, too. What is it? He has come out and said, oh, I didn't know it was a...
Ritual? My bad. C? I told you guys. What do you mean C? He played college football. I told you guys. He knew it was a bit. It's all a big misunderstanding. It is. Sniffing around for a story. I'm even more out on him now for even trying to claim that. No, I'm not. He's trying to cover it up. Well, you just like him. Well, I don't think that'll make sense. Now it's solved. Don't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Exactly. So, Sienna, she is quite a prankster, isn't she? Keep my recorder next to me. Here it is. Nancy Jura over there. She does. Jamie Woods over there. It's hard, though, because I can't figure out. It's a pretty new recorder. And I can't figure out how to turn it on without it making a noise. And so when we were in the office, I was like, oh, I got to turn it on. I got to turn it on. We're talking about something pretty interesting. And so I have it in my backpack. So the beginning audio is a little bit scratchy because it's like me trying to turn it on in my backpack. So you don't hear it. We never. We know she does it. I never think of it. I know. I never do. And don't try to. It's so unassuming because Sienna just looks so sweet all the time. You didn't know she's a big-breasted devil in disguise. That's right. Oh, my gosh. So here's what she takes back in the office of us off the air. Wendy's? That's so good. My stomach, like, all day today is like, oh. Was it good when you ate it? The fries are the best. Except there was mayonnaise on the chicken sandwich. See, that's delicious.
I love Wendy's fries. Can we just get a clip of that? Can we just get a clip of Woods going, I love Wendy's fries. Lauren went to Wendy's, which is why I turned it on because I was so amazed. And for the record, I made a sound of my stomach and somebody else did the... Have you ever dipped him in a Frosty, by the way? Have you guys ever eaten the chip or the fries so fast that you accidentally eat the salt packet that comes in the fries? Look at Lauren in the corner hiding her face. In the corner. She says, have you ever eaten the fries so fast that you accidentally eat the salt packet that comes in the fries? I'm a fat kid. Oh my gosh. Wow. What kind of a pig? Let me tell you. If you are so voracious. You're just like.
I'm always like, if anyone pulls up next to me, I am disgusted. What would you think if you're driving, you're at a stoplight, and you look over, and here's this blonde girl. I get fast food like five times a year. You see her put her fingers in her mouth and pull out the stone. Oh, whoopsies, how'd that get in there? You see her put her fingers in her mouth and pull out a stump. Yeah, seriously. Bit her hand off. What I'll do is I do a bite of burger, and then I bust, like, two fries, butter, and ketchup, and then... Good Lord. This is us. This is what we do. This is what we do in a meeting. Yeah, in a meeting. Idiots. Eat, like, the main portion, and then I'm always mad at myself because there's, like, five fries left. Yep. I ordered two. Jay! Order two. Brian saw. One for the car, one for the house. Do you really, Jay? I've been known to. I should have just gotten the big one, but I'm like, I'm going to be a healthy Wendy's eater and get a grilled chicken sandwich. See, if you go, you got to go balls out.
Pretty much my motto, by the way. Pretty much my motto. A couple of Einsteins putting their heads together. Oh, yeah. For sure. For sure. Definitely. We slayed some purchase chicken. That freaking chicken out of my mouth has been watering. That's us. We are very passionate about our food. Yeah, we are. Every single one of us. Do you guys do... Do you guys... And I never used to because I used to not care. But then I started to exercise and I cared. But when you have fast food, do you go through a five minute rationalization before you get it? A hundred percent. Like you go, I probably shouldn't. And then you go, OK, well, hang on, self. Here's what here's why it's OK. I don't do this very often, right? Yes, yes. Every time I drive to a fast food place, I'm probably quiet. I don't say a word five minutes before I get there because I'm thinking so thoroughly of, should I get that? No, no, no. Okay, what about that? What would be the best, best decision I can make right now? Well, I guess after Sienna turned her little recorder off, we entertained the idea because I brought up Wendy's of going there for lunch. And I had like...
come to the resolution in my head. I'm like, all right, this is going to be like a Wendy's blowout weekend, you know? So that night, I went home and I was so tired and I woke up from a nap and I was like, well, I could have Wendy's. And I made, I'm not kidding you, at the stoplight, I cut off like three people and at the last minute decided, I can't do it. I can't do it. And I went to like Whole Foods instead. Yeah, got yourself some wheat. Yeah. Yeah, when I had my surgery on my eyes. You know, I stopped my workout. And in my mind, I was like, that means you can stop your diet, too, for the most part. I mean, you know, you'll get back into it heavy next week. What's it all do? I remember I called Jamie. She didn't answer. And usually she'll, like, have a sandwich or something when I get home. No. And she didn't answer. I was like, she didn't answer. I mean, I got to go to McDonald's to get a Big Mac. And I have to. The rationale that you go through in your head. To either go or not go. There may not be something waiting for me at home. There's probably nothing at home. I mean. it's going to take me like an hour to cook and then I'm not going to get enough sleep. So what's worse? I'll just get a Big Mac. It's not a big deal. And there's a moment in your head where it goes, it's completely okay. You're fine. You're fine. I go, just don't tell anybody. That is the best moment ever. That's the best moment. When you're like, I can do it. Why not? I'm running for an hour tomorrow. Oh, totally. It's just, it's insane to think, you know, how excited we get by like food. The day we did our Footloose thing when we filmed stuff,
When your wife brought us food, I had 15 tacos from Jack in the Box. And can I tell you, too, when she suggested Jack in the Box, normally I wouldn't get that, but I was like, well, I mean, it's the only thing. It's the only thing. It's the quickest way. It's the only way to survive right now. It'd be great if the place would deal with you and be like, are you sure? You're like, yeah, dude, give me a Big Mac and a six-pack of nuggets. What? Come on, dude. I don't need your grief. I already get it enough at work. Give me my six-pack and my six-pack and nuggets and my Big Mac. You get a 20-pack. I just want to tell you how many calories. If they ever said how many calories while you were ordering, I would go in there and punch them in the face. You don't want to know. M1 Garrett from downtown. You there? Garrett, you there? Yep, I'm here. What does your roommate get? That sounds good. I'm like, dude.
Right. Oh, my. Oh, my. Probably went to sleep after that. Don't judge. He was having a nice night. Oh, man. But just to review, did he have two hamburgers and two things of fries and two soft drinks? Yeah. Two soft drinks, two things with fries, one double-double, and then just, like, one regular cheeseburger. Oh, that's a lot. Three patties. Oh, my gosh. That's a lot of food. You know, he was probably under the influence a little bit. Yeah. And you don't think back once you do those things. I went on a bachelorette party with a bunch of skinny girls that don't normally eat fast food, and I'll tell you what.
We had a couple cocktails. At the end of the night, we had my sister, the DD, because she was pregnant. She took us to Jack and the... We called every pizza place in town, and they were closed. So we went to Jack and the Bucks. We ordered. It was just like, yeah, I got some poppers. Like, everything. And then... We were so happy when she gave us the bag. I've never seen so many fast food bags. It was like four bags filled to the brim, and then we tipped the drive-thru lady because we were so happy. Let me tell you, in my chubbier days, I used to do the thing where I would be like, yeah, I would order so much food that... I would get so much food. You getting choked up over there? I would get so much food that I would order another drink so that they thought it was for two people. You pulled a bit. What would she want? What is it? I'm trying to remember what my wife said she wanted. I just heard a story about this. Yeah, I said it. You said it. Everyone does it. When my sister was pregnant.
She's a huge health nut, and she decided she's got these crazy cravings, and she went to VG's Donuts and got a donut, and then she wanted a second one, but she didn't want the person at the counter to know she was getting two huge donuts. And judge her. Yeah, so she pretended like the other one was for her husband, and she was like, I want to see one. I'm amazed by that story, that someone would go into a donut place and only get one donut. I know, I know, me too. Hey, listen. The person that was, you know, talking to me through the drive-thru, they could care less what I get. Yeah, you're never going to see them again. I'm not going to see them again. They work at McDonald's. Yeah. He'll probably see them the next day. You know, he doesn't care what I, but I was humiliated by. Is this Mikey? Yeah. Yeah, Mikey, right? Let's see. Hey, you're back, buddy. You changed your shirt today. For a change. Looking good, pal. Looking good. Heard you on the radio. M1 Ariel from La Jolla. Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Go ahead. So, my boyfriend and his friends like to go to McDonald's and get what they call it. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I just saw what they called it. What? You can't say what they called it? You can't say, so I'll tell you what they called it, but I won't say it. Woods is trying to look at the house. I know, yeah. Woods just put his hand over his mouth. He's like, you can't say that. So, we can't say what it's called, Ariel, okay?
Okay, we can't say what it's called. But it rhymes, I'm going to say, it rhymes with mang tang. Does that make sense? Initials are GB? Yeah, initials are GB. Go ahead, go ahead. That's all we have to say. But anyway, why did they call it that? It's a disgusting sandwich. And what it is is two hamburgers. From McDonald's and a chicken sandwich in between. So it goes bread, meat patty, bread, chicken, bread, meat patty, and more bread. Oh, gosh. Wow. Holy cow. That sounds pretty good. And they would pile it up. They would pile it up. And, you know. kind of people that if they go to a food place, they go all out. They do it upright. They invent their own sandwiches with interesting sexual names. Yeah. Wow. Really bizarre. Those are guys I would want to be friends with. Yeah. That's right. Call this the missionary sandwich. Delicious. All right. Thank you, Ariel. So I have some interesting... Tell them Fred sent you. Yeah, Fred sent you. I have some interesting dude stats when we get back.
Real interesting dude stats. I'm going to be telling you what percentage of guys said that they would dump their girlfriend if she became fat. Wow. I'll give you that next. Hey, we got Padres Marlins tickets coming up in an hour, so don't miss out. You want to get some Padres Marlins tickets? It's going to be a good series this weekend. It's Pizza Dodgers.
Yeah. A thorn in our side. Used to be the Rockies. Guess we got their number now. But the Dodgers, man, we're having a hard time. Anyway, 9 o'clock, we'll do that. Really interesting statistics from AskMen.com. Of the four choices listed below, which one is the most important personality trait when you're deciding if a woman is a relationship material type of girl? Breasts. Well, here's your choices. Sense of loyalty, sense of humor, sense of caring and nurturing and intelligence. Oh, they're not on there. No, boobs not on here. Although that plays a part. 100%. And the reason that it plays a part is because it's everybody has preference. Everybody has preferences. But I think if someone met all those other criteria, but they weren't physically, they didn't have that. No, I mean, I don't mean just breasts. I mean, the look, you know. Oh, no, L.O.B. What?
I don't think that if a person has a sense of loyalty, a sense of humor, a sense of caring and nurturing and intelligence, that that will cancel out. If that were the truth, I would have been doing a lot better. But I'm saying I generally go for guys that are taller than me just because it makes me feel oafy if I'm not taller than them. But if it was like met all that criteria and I was still attracted to them in other ways. Have you looked past it? Yes, I have. Plenty of times. I would love to see that example. Look at all my prom pictures. Always like this. Really? Or the slumping? Slump because I had heels on and I was taller than I was. Which one do you pick? Easy. Yeah, mine too. Wait, okay, go through them again. I'm going to try and guess which both of you would pick. Sense of loyalty, sense of humor, sense of caring and nurturing, intelligence. Oh, yeah.
Okay, I know Mikey and I think I know Woods. Okay. I feel like I know both and I think it's the same. I have different ones for them. I cannot wait to see what you guys have. Do I have to write it down? Yeah, write it down. I already wrote mine down. What do you got? Sienna, what do you think? I think for Woods, sense of humor. And I think for Mikey, nurturing. Incorrect for me. What? Completely right for me. What did you put? I said caring and nurturing for both of them, but I was on the fence with sense of humor. If I can't, if my girl, when we argue, I'm like, and I do the bit, I go, do you remember when you used to have a sense of humor? She hates it so much because she has a really good sense of humor. A friend of mine, when he fights, I think I've told you this before, you just take off all your clothes and you can't fight anymore because you're naked. You can't do it every time, though. Yeah, but it's funny. For me, and maybe I'm not applying the word correctly, but for me, sense of loyalty because I'm like, if that means like staying loyalty and being faithful to you and not cheating. You don't know if loyalty and faithfulness are the same thing. Maybe not because I may be misunderstanding it. Loyalty is, I took it as more like always having your back, you know, which is a huge thing. That's a big thing for me, man. Here's the deal. All four of those are huge things for me, but I.
Cannot live with an intelligent, nurturing, loyal woman if she has no sense of humor. I can't do it. It's physically impossible for me to do it. And Mike, I feel like you especially need someone that kind of takes care of you. I do. His name's Jay Isbell. Well, you know what I mean? But Rebecca takes care of you. She is an amazing wife. Yes. I'm your work wife. That's right. I've got two. Lucky me. There's no doubt about it. But if I had to choose between. And again, I'm thinking that that means staying faithful to me, not cheating. If I had to choose, oh my gosh, I'll take anything. They're all so big. Yeah. You know, so anyway. It's interesting. Sense of loyalty was the highest rated with the AskMen.com, 31%. 25% of men said a sense of humor. 24% said the caring and nurturing. And 20% said intelligent. Wow. That's pretty telling. 1%. It is telling. It's telling. And, you know, for me, that is really important. Well, I'll say this. I could never be with, that sounds mean, I could never be with a dumb girl. No, I couldn't either. Apparently, there's plenty of people that could, so you don't have to feel mean about it. Yeah. It's just preference. Is it important for a girlfriend to have wife potential? Here's what the choices were. Eh, somewhat.
Though I won't break up with her if I realize that she isn't. Or, yes, I won't bother pursuing a woman who isn't a potential wife. Or, no, not at all. I don't look that far ahead into my relationships. What do you think guys said? They want a wife material. It was overwhelming what they said, by the way. Yeah, I bet they do look for a wife. I would say, see, they don't look that far ahead. You are all wrong. You're all wrong. It was the first one. 48% of men said, Somewhat, though I won't break up with her if I realize that she isn't wife potential. Then why stay together? I think that they're young and they're like, yeah, you know. Yeah, it depends on the audience or the age of who's answering this. You've heard the old saying, you know, she's not.
Or he's not Mr. Right. He's Mr. Right now. Yeah. You know what I mean? And sometimes you get comfortable and you have a good thing going, but you're like, I'm not going to marry this broad. So let's go back to that question that I asked before we went to break. Would you dump a girlfriend if she became fat? Huge percent of men said yes. Like in the 90s. Would you dump a girlfriend if she became fat? Yes or no? And it's girlfriend, not wife. It's girlfriend. It is not wife. Would you dump a girlfriend if she became fat? Now, what I'm looking for is a percentage of men that said yes. I want you to answer what you think. Tell me. You can tell me, Sienna. What do you think? 81%. You say 81% said yes. They will dump a girlfriend if she becomes fat. Woods. 94%. I think 65% said yes, but I also think 30% were lying, which means 95% of guys would. The answer will surprise you. Jay, what do you think? 100%. You believe that 100% of guys would break up with a girlfriend if she became fat. The answer is, more men said, no, I will not. Such liars. Can I tell you that the answer for me has always been, no, I wouldn't. But I'll tell you why. If I had a girlfriend, I've had...
probably three girlfriends in my life. So if they were my girlfriend, I was real into them. I was real into them. Otherwise, they were not meant to be a girlfriend. They were meant for something else. What do you mean? You know what I mean. And so, but if they were my girlfriend, I was so in love. And if I'm being completely honest, I think I always felt kind of lucky to be in a relationship because I wasn't much to look at. I'm telling you the truth. I'm being honest. So I and I had pretty girlfriends. If they got fat, what was I going to do? I was going to actually be a big. fat black kettle and go well you wouldn't you would never tell her that's why you're ending the relationship no way i wouldn't i wouldn't do it though i really wouldn't do it i really wouldn't do it in fact the girls that i dated the old mikey may have i'm telling you no because he was i knew the old mikey and he was a sally he was a sally when it came to girls like you were like not like they they were more they ran you more than you ran them is that fair oh
Yeah. Well, let's put it this way. They definitely could control and manipulate me. Yes. Now, there came a point where that came to an abrupt stop. But there was a point where I absolutely was. That's when we asked that question the other day. If we could go back to being 17, would we do it? I said, if I knew now, if I if I knew then what I know now, no girl would have been able to. wreck my life and back then i felt like any girl i dated potentially could jerk me up yeah and did and i don't you know i don't mean to call you sally my apologies no but like the the way i perceived it and back then is is you really would get affected a lot by women uh-huh and you know me on the other hand not so much you know i was like whatever on the next one here's what it says 54 of men said no
If my girlfriend became fat, I wouldn't break up with her. 46% said yes. Honestly, I think it's just kind of logical, me personally, because if you're with your girlfriend, listen, let's talk for real here. Let's be really real. Hang on. If you're in a relationship with a girl and she's your girlfriend and you're in love with her, okay? And we're going to have to assume that if she's your girlfriend, you really dig her. Most guys. are Sally's about breaking up to begin with. You know why? Because A, we don't want to go through the process of it. B, a lot of guys, we just don't like being alone. C, depending on which way you roll, you're giving up regular sex, depending on if you roll that way. And D, it's inconvenient. Those reasons to me are enough to just go,
She's put on a couple pounds. And doesn't it kind of sneak up on you? I think when anybody gains weight. You wake up one day and she's fat? No, no, no. That's exactly what doesn't happen. You wake up one day and she's gained 10 ounces. And, you know, it takes time. Yeah. Well, that's what I mean. Like, what are we talking? Are we talking 20 pounds or are we talking 50 pounds? 100 pounds. Fat. Fat. Fat. Well, there's different versions. Well, there's fat and there's like a little bit chubbier. Like, I'm fat. There's 10 or 20 pounds. I think you're okay. Most girls, when you start dating, and guys too, are going to put on a few pounds because you start going out to eat all the time. A few pounds isn't tough. Relationship 15. I've put on 30 pounds since I started dating Jamie. 30. She didn't leave me. But that's what I was going to say. With girls, I would almost say 90% of the time, it's the complete opposite. Yeah. Girls don't care if you guys gain a few pounds. That's true. Some of us do. Yeah, you like it because you know. I like to fatten my man out. Yeah, yeah. You try. You feed us cookies. I'm way healthier now than when Rebecca first met me. Yeah. Oh, I was a chubby man. You get comfortable. You know, you get comfortable and you're like, hey, you want to go run on the beach?
No, let's get a pizza and watch a movie. You know, that's the bit. It happens. I love that stuff, though. That's fascinating to me because I think a lot of those dudes are lying through their teeth. Oh, yeah. I don't. I do. On the fat card, liars. Yeah. You guys, you really think that a dude is going to be like... Make something else up and be like, it's just not working out. 5% of guys are like you, Mike. He's going to go, hey, Chubbs, I got to go. I've got to hit the road. It's time to ramble on. They would never say why. I do think sometimes if you're in the relationship and you see that person every day and subtly they start. Like you just get used to that's the way that they look. It doesn't mean that you haven't seen them in two years. And when you see them later, you're like, hey, oh, it's like you kind of get used to it. So you're like, oh, it's just how she looks now. I've broken up for stupid, stupid, stupid reasons. Yeah. There's a time where you see her in an awkward position and, you know, whoa, it's different.
I'd be willing to believe that you would break up for a dumb reason before I believed that you'd break up for that reason. Well, in the back of your mind, though, you're like, hey, I'm going to leave Notorious P.I.G. where she stands. I'm going to get out of here. You make up something else. Got a little extra in my hands right now. Let's see. My cup runneth over. 570-1949. Jay is working on getting the mayor of Encinitas on the line for us. So a little bit later on, we may be talking to him. So we were talking about earlier that the guy that made the shark. The prankster. The prankster came forward and said, me and 25 of my buddies, 25 people, we put this thing together. If you don't know what we're talking about, we're talking about the. A paper mache shark that was put around the surfing. They call them the card of kook statue. Yeah. And on Saturday morning, people woke up. There was a 15 foot paper mache shark as if it was eating the statue. Which I think is. kind of cool yeah i mean it especially because it isn't breaking the law yeah it's comical uh he's not breaking the law it's comical you can tell it's kind of met in fun and uh i think they even said they wouldn't get in trouble right yeah the mayor said that he liked it yeah and that they wouldn't get in trouble yeah if they uh said who they were you know and it's made
CNN headline news. Yeah, it's national. It's made national news and people are coming from all around to take pictures next to this papier-mâché shark covering the surfer. Christmas cards even. Yeah. Christmas cards. Hysterical. Christmas cards? I want to do a Christmas play about how the kook stole Christmas. I love it. Wow. I like it. The kook has hands on the surfboard that are saying this. Looks like a hula dancer, kind of, with the way his hands are. Let's see. M1 Matt from Encinitas is on the line. Matt, are you there? Yeah, I got a bone to pick with you guys. What is it? This Cardiff Coupe statue with the shark mouth around it, you guys keep making fun of this paper mache shark. This is not funny, you know. There was a shark attack in Solana Beach like two years ago where the shark bit. the guy's leg and swam away. You know, shark attacks, this is a serious business. Yeah, but I think that the deal with the papier-mâché thing is not meant, it's meant in good fun. People, yeah, people, I mean, you should know, a lot of people make fun of the statue because they think it's a dumb statue. And so that's kind of their way of messing with the statue. And I don't think it trivializes this guy that...
got bit by a shark. I don't think that trivializes his life at all, but I think it's all meant in good fun and in jest. Yeah. For 2,000 shark attacks in history, this country has more shark attacks than any other country. These sharks kill people. A shark might eat all of you guys someday. Probably. That's nice. I can kind of see. I mean, if you know someone who was bitten by a shark, that could maybe not make you happy. Yeah, but I don't think we're making fun. It's not meant to make fun. Matt, aren't we digging a little deep there? Have you seen Jaws? Yeah, yeah, I have. Have you seen Deep Blue Sea? Yes. Freaky movie. Yeah, I'm aware that there are shark attacks and I'm aware that people get hurt, but aren't we sort of taking that papier-mâché shark a little seriously if we're getting upset about it?
Well, here's the thing, too. They dress up the kook all the time. Like, they put women's clothing on him a lot, and I could sit here as a woman and be like, that's offensive, you know? Yeah. And I think it's just one way to step it up a notch and be like, you know, you guys can dress him up, but I'm going to build an entire structure around him, which is going to happen to be a shark, I mean. Matt, isn't it taking a little seriously? I don't think this is funny at all. It's with one thing to deface the statue, but to have this shark. eating the statue is not funny to me. Sorry. Well, I think there's probably... Thank you for the call, Matt. You know there's going to be more of that. You think? Oh, absolutely. Why does everybody get so offended about everything, man? Oh, dude, there's somebody on our fan page right now really upset about Hoyle. I know. I don't understand. It's just a joke. Sometimes stuff strikes a nerve. Like I said, if you know someone that was attacked by a shark or something, maybe it wouldn't be funny to you. But I guarantee the creator of that was not with the intention of being like, hey, it's funny when people get eaten by sharks. That's the deal. And it would also be one thing if people were reacting to it and they were saying, oh, that is so funny when people get eaten by sharks. Right. That's enough. You know what I mean? I'll give you, for instance, man, we had a piece of audio I didn't play the other day.
And the reason was because it was a YouTube thing and it was this guy that is running for, he's running for like governor. Yeah, I saw that. I can almost guarantee you that that guy's autistic. I'll almost guarantee it. In fact, the comments underneath his deal were, hey, rain man. And then another person said, nice to see that effing retards are allowed to run now for governor. People are mean on YouTube. Yeah, people are really mean. Mean. Now. What they don't realize is that this guy is probably on the spectrum. Now, it doesn't offend me. Like he doesn't, there's, you know what I mean? Like the only thing that offends me is people going after it and saying, people making fun. If people were making fun of that shark and saying, oh my gosh, it's so funny that people get attacked by sharks. That's one thing. You know what I mean? But if you're not doing that, it's not meant in the spirit of. Dude, I mean, it's like they have a hockey team, the San Jose Sharks. Yeah. Right. I mean, are we not supposed to call them the Sharks because Sharks have attacked people? The Atlanta Braves. I mean, yeah, it's.
People get all freaked out about that stuff. I don't know. Lighten up a little bit, man. I'm really trying to see where Matt's coming from. I kind of see where he's coming from now. You do? I think it's all in good fun. I would have never thought that, but I'm really trying to put myself in. And maybe see where, like he said, see where he's coming from. And it's like, that's a statue that people make fun of and people think it's dumb. So what? They're going to have, you know, make a joke that a shark's going to eat it. Well, I think the wonder of it was how did they even get that there and how intricate the actual structure was? And how intricate the prank was. Sure. More so than what was happening. It's clearly meant for good fun. M1 Chris from Oceanside. Hey, what's up, Mikey? How you doing? Good, man. Hey, I think maybe, you know, M1 shark attack needs to lighten up a tiny bit. I mean, I see where he's coming from, but I'm guessing, you know what, maybe he lives down there and he's sick of that going on with the statue all the time. Yeah. I think it was like Ash Wednesday. They put a crown of thorns and tied pieces of wood behind it. Oh, wow. That's not good. That would make people mad. That's going maybe a little over the top. That's a little far. Well, see, and that's the deal. It's like, it's almost like any joke.
that you make, there's going to be somebody that's going to go, hey, listen. Don't think it's funny. I don't think it's funny. The guy on Facebook, he don't like the fact that we have Hoyle because Hoyle has a southern accent and we're being stereotypical of people from the south. I'm from the south. I got a take on that. You're listening to a morning radio show based on comedy. This is not the McNeil-Lair report. It's been a good time. It's just a joke. If you're taking it seriously. Come on. Well, yeah. I mean, it would be one thing if we were a serious news talk show and on our very serious news talk show, we had a character that was lampooning, you know, with an accent. Yeah. Right. Or if we were reading a story about something in the South, Sienna brought something up and you go, well, down here in the South. Right. I mean, that's not what this is. This is a. Character. It's a character. And it's hilarious. It's like any character on Saturday Night Live. Church Lady is a character. And it could be a caricature of somebody. I come out here and rough talk him and run him off. Just rough talk him. Yeah, just rough talk him. And that'll take care of it. M1 Kyle from Carlsbad. I just wanted to talk about the shark. I think it's kind of ridiculous for people to get overwhelmed about how he's getting eaten. Because, I mean...
If you look at it, it's more like a cartoon where a shark would come up and just swallow you whole. But in reality, sharks, you know, don't eat people. If anything, they might chomp a leg, but then they'll swim right away and they'll leave them alone. I mean, getting offended by a shark eating someone seems to be a little bit of a, you know. I don't know what the word would be, but getting a little bit too hyped up about it. Overreaction, maybe? Well, the cartoon thing was, I mean, because we laugh when, like, an anvil falls on somebody's head in a cartoon, but if that happened in real life, obviously we'd be upset. Lauren, I know somebody who had an anvil fall on their head, and I don't think it's very funny at all. I wonder if the folks at Looney Tunes used to get... You know, cards and letters from people saying... I was attacked by a roadrunner one time, and I'm not very damn happy about it. Coyotes kill. I can't tell you about the time that I had a little bomb blow up in an envelope.
Well, don't you notice one of the Looney Tunes cartoons that's never on anymore is Speedy Gonzales. Yeah, of course. Offensive. Offensive. Well, yeah, and the whole thing has been broken down now about, like, promoting violence and everything. Listen, my mother was clobbered by a giant oversized mallet. I had a piano fall out of a window and hit me in the head. Yes. I know someone. The last time I ran into a tunnel that was painted. That was painted black onto a side of a mountain. I nearly broke my neck tripping over a banana peel. That's right. I almost died. I tried to ride a rocket, and it didn't go so well for me either. How many times have I run into an open cannon only to get fired out? You know, my brother ran into an open cannon, and he got fired out of it. It's not very funny. I'm telling you, man. It's just everybody these days. I mean, basically, we're supposed to come on here and go, So today in the news, this happened in sports. I mean, you've got to be – here's the deal. I'm a white man. I'm a Caucasian man. When I see Eddie Murphy on stage making fun of white people, I die laughing. I die laughing when he's like, hey, is that your bag? And I'm like, I know I don't talk like that, but that's freaking funny to me. And, like, you've got to be able to laugh at yourself. And that's a deal, I mean, especially here on this show.
I don't even take myself that seriously. You know what I mean? I think that where you, this is, everybody has their line. I'll tell you mine. I'll tell you mine. Here's my line. I draw the line at poking fun at people who cannot help a condition. Absolutely. You know, my son's autistic. I have never, ever, before my son was born. never had the heart to make fun of the handicapped. I just, that wasn't a part of my repertoire. Now, that doesn't make me any, you know, better or whatever than anybody else because it's always been a part of my repertoire to make fun of Mexicans because I'm Mexican. And I've always, you know, I grew up with it and to me, it's not hateful. And that's the other place I draw the line. You know, if a joke is meant, with a good spirit and there's a, you know, it's not mean spirited and it doesn't have a hatefulness to it. I think it's fun, you know? Uh, and I like to be able to crack jokes about myself and, and in general, but one thing I don't like doing, man, I don't want to hurt anybody. And I mean that so sincerely, like I don't want to hurt anyone. I don't want to hurt anybody. And, uh, so it's a, it's a very fine line. It sure is brother.
Especially doing what we do. Yep. It's a very, very fine line. 570-1949 is our number. Let's play Name That Tune. Yes. Call us right now at 570-1949 if you want to play Name That Tune. Sienna, what's going on in the news? We talked about this briefly yesterday, about this whistleblowing website, wikileaks.org. You guys may have heard about it. There's, wow, over 90,000 U.S. military records were obtained by this website, and a lot of secret files were leaked out. One of the latest of them is basically claiming the CIA has known where Osama bin Laden has been hiding. And that we just don't want to do anything about it. Yeah, and they're not really commenting on it right now, but yeah, they just didn't really want to do anything about it. That's weird. Yeah, we'll see. There's going to be more and more coming out. But also, a 14-year-old has just been cleared for solo sail around the world. A 14-year-old? No, we remember it was a 16-year-old from California that she attempted the same thing, to be the youngest sailor to sail around the world. And then she got into some problems with weather and had to be taken home. Now, a 14-year-old, a Dutch 14-year-old was cleared yesterday. Her name is Laura Decker, and she had to go through the court system and everything. And the court lifted. you know, said, you know, your parents can decide what's right for you. So she's doing it. That is, I mean, that is a whole new type of bravery. 14 year old girl. This is like a two year journey. And parents too, by the way. Oh yeah. That's a whole new type of bravery. Like I could never, I'd be like, no, no, you're going to watch some TV and go to bed. I'm almost 30 and my parents wouldn't let me do that. No way. Well, there, she may be starting in two weeks in Portugal.
Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Padres take on the Dodgers again tonight. They lost last night 2-0. Hopefully things work out a little bit better. Clayton Richards against Hiroki Kuroda. Tonight it's 7.05 at Petco Park. And Terrell Owens has a new home, and it is with the Cincinnati Bengals and Chad Ochocinco. It's going to be like a sitcom there next year, and I can't wait to see it. All right, I'm coming around. Let's play some Name That Tune. All right, so we've got people that are on the line right now that are going to pick a horse. They're going to either pick myself, Sienna, Woodsy, or Lauren. And the way that Name That Tune works is we have a theme. What's today's theme, Jay? It's television shows again. I'm kind of stuck with the going rate. TV shows. Now, if we know what it is, we just yell out our name. We use our name as a buzzer. And whoever does the best wins for the person that's picked us on the line. And they're all lined up, ready to go. Who won last week? I think I won for the first time. Yeah, Mikey did. Did you? Three months. You killed it. Yeah, I know. I don't know that I've ever won. No, that was it. That was probably it, right? That was the one. It was the one win I've ever had. Here we go. Mikey. Mikey. Dukes of Hazzard. Yep. Gosh, my brain was late.
All right, here we go. Mikey. Sienna. Mikey. The Brady Bunch. Wow. Wow. Somebody watch some TV whenever. Yeah. Play anything in the last 10 years. Build some card houses. Yeah, build card houses. Watch TV real good. Killed a lot of Swanson's dinners. You love that brownie. Ate a lot of bread. Yeah. Tortilla. Here we go, tortilla. Mikey. Sienna. Oh, my God, you're a nerd. The X-Files. My brain. The nerd files. They were excellent. Take that back. Man. Woods. I mean, no, sorry, Woods. The 18th. You know that. You know that. Mikey 3, Woods 1. Here we go. Get ready, Sienna. Muppet Show. Oh, my gosh. Wow. Holy crap. I didn't even watch The Muppet Show. Didn't you? Didn't you? Didn't you? Didn't you? Didn't you? Didn't you? Here we go. I used to watch it a little bit. Woods, Smallville. What?
Yeah, it's Remy Zero. You can play anything in the last 10 years. I'll never know. Longer than that. 15 years. Love that band. Here we go. Sorry, I got really excited. You did. Scrubs. We just were talking about that during break. Exactly. I almost said Malcolm in the Middle. Here we go. Oh, Mikey. Friday Night Lights. Oh, dude. And we got to keep that. That is the coolest opening music ever. Nice. Okay, what's the score? Mikey five, Woods two, Lauren one. That's a runaway. Can we do TV shows all the time? There's two left. TV dinner over there is going to get them all every time. Let's make these worth two points apiece. Yeah. Here we go. Woods. Woods. Frankie. You don't know what that is? He was going to say Frankie. You don't know what's up, dude?
You're going to hurt me like this? Morn. Morn! What is it? It should be called Frankie once, bro. That's true. It's a courtship of Eddie's father. Of course it is. Let me tell you about my best friend. I've never even heard of that. I don't know why I buzzed in. I know the song well, so I buzzed in. What's in Frankie's theme? So now what's the score? Lauren one, Woods one, Mikey six. We're broken up. So this is a six-point question. Oh, snap. Here we go. This one's tough. The Bachelorette. Woods. The new 90210. Sienna. Sweet Valley High. Woods. Gilmore Girls. Woods. One Tree Hill. Nope. Nope. Nope. Lauren. Millionaire. America's Next Top Model. Oh, wow. Oh, I should have known that. Yeah, that was it. That was it. Yeah. Way to go, Mikey. Yeah. Back to back. Very nice. Very nice.
Let's see. Let's get him on the phone. M1. M1 Mike, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Congratulations, bro. I finally pulled out another win, and I probably never will again unless we do TV shows. All right. Old TV shows. Thank you, bro. Hang on the line. I made a reference this morning to Gomer Pyle. How many of you have actually seen Gomer Pyle? Woodsy has. Grew up on it, man. I've never seen it, but my mom and dad always used to reference it. You guys are old. Gomer Pyle USMC. I just gave you the courtesy. Right? Because you've never seen it. You've never even heard of it, have you? No idea. Have you ever heard of it? Jim Neighbors. Jim Neighbors. From what show? It was called Gomer Pyle USMC. He started off on Mayberry RFD, right? Yep. And then he went to... USMC BFD, and then USMC BFF, and then OMG, and then LOL, and then TTY, and then Waimu. Let's see. Oh, why did I do that? You shrunk. I just lowered my chair and didn't mean to. Our phone number here is 570-1949. This is pretty much incredible, what I'm about to tell you about. It's about our boy Jay, and...
I read his recap this morning and went, oh, wow. So listen to this. Jay just downloaded, wait for it, the new Call of Duty maps. Yep. So you hear her, Woodsy, really quietly. Is that video games? Real quietly, Woods just went, oh, boy. Real good. Now. For Jasper or something? Yeah, for Jasper. No, no, no. Too violent for him. He says, man, I'm out of practice. I got shot up real good. Now, listen to this. He said, I still had a blast, though. By the way, Jay, what console do you use? It's an Xbox. It's an Xbox. Jay, for the record, how old are you? 47. 47, okay. Now, one moment. He uses the Xbox 360, which, by the way, you can go online with the Xbox 360 and you can play other gamers.
throughout the country at these games, okay? Connect the nerd, basically, is what you will. Yeah. Got it. Well, here is what the point of Jay's recap was. He says, so some 14-year-old kid sends me a friend request. Fine. I'm playing him. He wouldn't shut up while we were playing. Finally, I told him I was 47, and he said, no way. Exclamation point. He went on to say that I was his dad's age. End of recap. I read that and I'm like, Jay is playing online video games with this 14-year-old. And the point of Jay's recap is, this guy would not shut up. His little punk would not shut up while I'm just trying to play here. Whippersnapper. Little whippersnapper. Keep your mouth shut. He was like, hey man, what kind of band do you like to listen to? When do you get to sleep out? Wait, you can hear them? Oh, yeah, you're talking. Yeah, they talk snacks to each other. You're talking a headphone? Yeah, you're like a drive-thru. Oh, I thought this was like on the computer or something. I don't know any of this. Your Xbox 360 has a wire that comes out of it with a...
headset and a microphone on it and you hold the thing in your hand and you play and, you know, depending on, and it could be anybody and they play video games with you and they're like, hey, what are you doing? You know, I'm going to kick your butt, man. The headset, they call it, you can buy it in Best Buy, it's called the Vagina Repeller. You can get it right in there. I'm sitting here thinking, okay, this kid is younger than three out of four of your children and what in the world is your poor wife doing? Well, Finn's playing on the other computer but we don't play together because he's too good, he's too cool. But, you know, so normally I have my clan is what it's called. My group of guys that you like. Jay. Jay. It's the face clan. Did you just say clan? It is. That's what it's called. I didn't make that word up. Okay. All right. Hey, you can't just be talking about the clan, man. It's not that clan. You're going to get us in a lot of trouble talking about the clan. Hoyle. Hoyle. It's not that kind of clan. It's not Hoyle. He's talking. He means like, you know, my clan, man. My clan. With a C. Yeah, with a C. So normally we're all just talking to each other. We don't have the 14-year-olds in there going, yeah, I'm going to kill you. Those nerves. Yeah, because that would be ridiculous. It's lame if that happened. I was so out of practice. I almost jumped out of my skin a couple times. You're going through these alleyways, you know, and you've got your gun out in front of you. Look at Woods. Look at Woods. Somebody jumps out. I mean, it is real looking. I mean, there's blood flying. And you full-on jump when somebody comes around the corner. You're like, ah! You see your gun up at the ceiling. Does your wife watch you play this? No, she'll come in and stand there for a minute. She's like, are you going to be done soon?
Before I had this show, it would be three o'clock in the morning. I'd still be in there. Oh, my God. I got to go to bed. I got to go to work. How great is that? Are you going to be done soon? Must be in the wife handbook, dude. Oh, my gosh. Do you? Yeah, all the time. Are you going to be done soon? You're going to be done soon. Because you're sitting in there in the office doing some work? So great. Gosh, darn it. That thrilled me. I read that. That's classic. And I'm like, here's Jay downloading new maps for his video game. It's just tremendous. Just tremendous. Mm-mm-mm. 5701949 is our number. You know, there's still backlash going on about the Kings of Leon playing a show and leaving the stage because they got pooped on by pigeons. I thought we decided it was the Queens of Leon. The Queens of Leon. It is. Hey, dude. Woodsy, they are taking... I know they are. I know that's stupid. They're going to come back. They're going to make it right. They have like YouTube parodies and stuff already. Do they? Yeah. They got all kinds of stuff. SNL. I'm claiming it. Yeah. It's going to happen this Saturday. A lot of guys would continue with poop in their mouth. I mean, I don't know. Really? You really think they had poop? They did. I followed them on Twitter and their drummer came on and said, sorry, we had to go. Jared had poop in his mouth. He didn't spit it out. It's toxic poop.
I don't either, Sienna. I didn't want to say it. I feel guilty saying it. I feel guilty saying that I don't believe it. I'm not in the band or anything. I just root for them and I know how those guys have toured for two years straight. That's a long time. With your chin up at the ceiling? Why was he going like this? He plays bass, by the way. Okay, so he's doing backup vocals, apparently, and he's looking up at the rafters. With his mouth open. Mikey, if you don't have your coffee in the morning, you freak out. I'm going to bring pigeon poop in. I'm going to throw it at you the whole show, and let's make the show go on. But you know what? Hey, bro, I also don't wear leather pants and am cool and in a rock band. I'm not, but I'm saying, like, if I was here throwing poop at you, you'd be like, I'm leaving. Totally different. No, it's throwing poop at them. The pigeons were throwing poop at them. The pigeons were using the restroom. To Wood's defense, I saw a pigeon.
Ball his fist up. And go and look down at him and go, you play it. I swear I'm throwing this. And they were like, we don't care, pigeon. And it was like, I warned you. Whoa. And they just started all throwing it. Really? They're throwing it out of their butt. If you didn't know why they were performing on stage over the weekend, there was pigeons, I guess, a lot in the rafters above them on the stage. Just dropping bombs. Yeah. And the controversy is. spit it out and then decide. What is he, Alice Cooper? Look out when I play. He did too. How does poop get in your mouth? If you know that there's birds up there because they're continuously pooping, you think you're just going to lean back and open wide? How did it happen? You're defending him. Are you kidding? Okay, so let's say I'm standing here and I'm playing my bass. I'm looking dead ahead and I'm just standing here. You don't think poop coming from here, here, here, right above my head could fall on my face, hit me in the mouth, run down my face and run into my mouth? Really? I guess. We'll try it tomorrow. No, no, no. I guess I could. I got a roach in her mouth, and she continued to play. Wow, that's badass. And she is not badass. And she's standing under, but she wasn't standing under roaches falling on her. She would have left. She was. How do you think it got in her mouth? That's one roach. They were flying around. Listen, I'm not the band manager or anything. Yeah, you are. But I'm a big fan of theirs. And I just, I think it's ridiculous.
He's a fan club manager. Ridiculous. Yes, I'm a fan club manager. I'm a fan page manager. Maybe they just grab some umbrellas or maybe put on a baseball hat. Yeah, it's easy to play guitar holding an umbrella. They have three arms. Neil Sean, guitar player for Journey, got hit in the head with a bottle. It cut him, and they kept playing. Absolutely. I've seen that before a million times. Maybe they call Mikey having a sombrero. Mikey, that's different than standing under a raining sea of feces when you're trying to play. A raining sea of feces. Is that what happened? That's exactly what happened. Is that what happened? What? I mean, you have completely lost your... What? Species everywhere. If they don't stop, it just comes pouring out? Yes. Diarrhea. Stop playing. Stop playing. Thank you. Hang on. Oh, my gosh. We have to leave the stage. I just got poo-poo in my mouth, and we're leaving the stage because...
And they can't stop. And they can't stop. He can't stop playing because then you miss the ba-ba-boom-boom, ba-ba-boom-boom. If he stops, the whole song is ruined. The song is good, though. Oh, the song is great. They're great. It's Queens of Leon now. Hey, and they will be back, and they're going to rock St. Louis' pants off doo-doo free. Okay? If anybody wants to, they can go to MikeyShow.com and they can submit parodies to this song about this situation. And if you write one that's really funny, maybe we do it. The face is a liar. Let me tell you what Woodsy's eyes say to me right now. The face is a liar. Your face is a liar. Your face is a liar?
You're not here when I say it. No, I didn't. What? No, what did you say? What did you say? I didn't hear it. Never mind. I said the face is a liar. Lauren sang it and you sang it completely wrong. Oh, your face is on fire. You guys just said my drawers are up higher? Up higher. Pull my... That's exactly it. What's these eyes are saying to me? Why do you have to hurt me? You're a dead man. You're absolutely dead. We all love the Queens of Leon. Queens of Leon are great. They're a great girl group. Really? So stupid. I don't know who Selena Gomez is. Don't you? You don't? No. Don't you? Mike. Is it the girl that Jennifer Lopez played in that movie? That's Selena. Okay. Just Selena. Is it a city south of Gore? That's Selena. Selena. Selena. You know who it is. Selena Gomez. I don't know just because I'm Mexican, Woods. Who is she? You know who she is. She's from the Disney Channel. She is? She dates like a Jonas brother. You definitely know who she is, Mike. Well, she was on Lopez Tonight last night. Weird. You know who he is. She's a young, like, 17, cute girl. My stepdaughter loves her. You ever go to an ATM when you were Mexican? Yeah. Hey.
You know the difference between dogs and cats when you're a Mexican? This whole bit. This whole bit is whatever's funny is funny because you're Mexican. Right. Well, anyway. Every time. Selena Gomez went on Lopez tonight, last night, and had to talk to a computer because she lost her voice. Oh, wow. She's got laryngitis or something. She talked to a computer. We have audio. I've always wanted to punch someone in the face. And Jay. Yeah, I like to dance at weddings. On FM 94.9. Crooked vultures are up there again, pooping all over the Kings of Leon. If those crooked vultures keep doing that. As the manager of this band, I'm going to... You're offending Woods on so many levels right now, Mike. I'm going to bring a bag of pigeon poop in tomorrow. I ain't a rock star, pal. Have a nice time collecting that. I'm going to... Woods, he wouldn't walk off the stage. I know he wouldn't. 100% I wouldn't. No, you wouldn't. Yes, I would. You are a tough guy, and I know it. Dude, they can throw stuff at me, but I don't want poop on me. Seriously. It's poop. It's toxic doo-doo. There was like a...
A ton of birds. If it was orangutans, I'd understand. Oh, my God. They would be throwing it. You can get sick from bird poop, too. Yeah, you can get sick from bird poop. You ever hear of the bird flu? Cover up. Cover up in what? A poncho? Yes. Hello. Put a hat on. What's the lead singer's name? Do you know? Yeah, I know. What is it? Caleb Followell. Hi, this is Caleb Followell for... Followell. Hi, this is Caleb Followell for Thera Bird Flu. Oh, my God. Stop riding my boys, okay? All right. Thank you. And stop making fun of the Kings and Leon. And stop making fun of the Kings and Leon. You're dope. Childish. So. Really? Queens. So, last night on Lopez Tonight, Selena Gomez. She's on the Disney Channel. Star of Wizards of Waverly Place. Well, anyway. She was on Lopez Tonight. Couldn't speak. She had something wrong with her voice box. Oh, gosh. Maybe cancel the interview. Seriously, Brett. And she decided that she would do the interview, but she would do it using a computer to answer the questions. I heard about this this morning, but Selena lost her voice this morning, and she came in anyway, so I appreciate that. Trooper, tough. Thank you.
The show must go on. Because she's Mexican. I gave her some of the questions before the show, and she had time to program some of her answers into the DinoVox right there, and that's how she'll speak to us. That's how we'll do the interview. Right? I'm sorry. I'm so upset. But at least it's funny. Right? Oh, my gosh. I love that. Sounds like she's stealing my TomTom lady belt. Yeah. What do you think of that Tom Tom girl in the Bali a little? I wish maybe she would have just stayed home instead of making fun of the Dinovox. That's right. Dinovox is a good friend of mine. That's right. So you're like people that get offended by stuff. That's actually Tom Tom girl up to this point. Never been offended by a joke. First time ever. Everyone has the buttons that get pushed. That's right. That's your line. That's your line where you say, hey, listen. Don't start making fun of the dino box. Get it? Because I have buttons, Mikey. That's right. So when you walked out, we played your first single. Did you guys? Yeah. Thank you. That was my song, Round and Drown. This is weird. Creepy. And cool. What's she doing while that's happening? I don't know. Sitting there? With her computer? On her lap? So she basically just showed up just to look.
Cute? Yeah, I think so. Hey, guys. Well, actually, I got to hand it to her. Queens of Leon would have left. Queens of Leon wouldn't have showed up. They'd have been like, sorry, sore throat. Jared's out. Whatever his name is. Woods is looking at me right now. We'll see where Selena Gomez is in two years. Selena Gomez is like a 17-year-old girl who would have battled the bird poop. I guarantee you she wouldn't. And you, Miss Debutante, would not have battled the bird poop. Hey, listen, she's not a rock star. Okay, isn't she? Isn't she a singer? No. She's a Disney character. A singer? Didn't they just say we played your first single? She sings. But not a rock singer. She's a singer, performer, right? Yeah. What do... You probably have her disc. You know that. I do. How have I never heard of Selena Gomez? Anything but a Selena. Really haven't. I feel out of the loop. She's cute. 5701949, we got Padre Marlin tickets for you. They're playing this weekend. Let's play What's That Sound? It's easy. I mean, listen, we play some games that are pretty difficult. This is a pretty easy game. I'm going to play you this sound effect, and you've got to tell me what it is. That easy. If you can, you're going to win tickets to the Padres and the Marlins this weekend. Great weekend. The weather's supposed to clear up. 570-1949. Start thinking about this, too. Hottest woman of all time. Hottest woman of all time. Me or Sienna. Those are the two choices you have. Those are the only two choices you get.
Do you remember who Carrie were? Do you remember Carrie were? Oh, yeah. MTV. I think she's in the running. She's up there. That was random. Yeah, well, that's mine. She was up there. That's your hottest ever? Carrie were is in the conversation. And I think that that's what you have to do. I won't force anybody to pick the hottest of all time. I think that what you do is you go, who's in the conversation? I want to hear, like, strong arguments as to why. Right. What makes, I don't even know who Kari War is. Christy Brinkley circa vacation days. Never got it. Amazing. Never understood it. During vacation? Dude, never understood it. Oh, my gosh. She still is a smoking pistol. In her height. The girl from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Oh, my God. That's it. Phoebe Cates. Thank you. Phoebe Cates. That's it. Number one. Phoebe Cates. She's in the conversation. She's in the conversation. Thornton just said, I thought she was too flat-chested for you and Woods motioned to his boobs. No, they're pretty good. And he said, no, they're good. Yeah, I've only paused that scene 700 times in my life. Creep. Oh, like you have it? No, I have. The red bathing suit. Oh, my gosh. You just nailed it for me. You're welcome. 5701. No, I really didn't. I'll be honest with you. Phoebe Cates. I'll be honest. Phoebe Cates.
I think maybe I'm attracted to a different... I mean, mine was Kari War. Hot. I don't even know who that is. Is that a blonde? Yeah. She was redhead. No. She kind of had red hair. I thought she had, like, sandy blonde hair. Maybe I'm thinking somebody different. Maybe you probably are. Jessica Rabbit. Greetings. Greetings. Hey, Mikey. Yeah. Guess who we've got on the phone. Who? Dan Dallager, the... Mayor of Encinitas. Woo! Get it. Yeah. I want to talk to Dan. About the Cardiff kook, that's the statue that's out there in Cardiff of the surfer that they built the Jaws paper mache shark around. Yeah. Hi, Dan. How are you? Hey, life is pretty darn good. Yeah, because your city has never been more popular than it is right now, right? Well, you know, I don't know about that. We're pretty. Pretty proud of who we are and what we are. Yeah. And, you know, of course, I've been in the city here in two months. I will have been in the city 60 years. Wow. 60 years. Mr. Mayor, do you think you could help me out with a parking ticket that I got? Is that out of the question? Yeah. Sure. Yeah.
It's funny, Mikey. Dan? Yeah, that's the way it works. Yeah. Like, I could even help myself if I got one. I hear you, pal. What were you going to say, Jay? Jay, come on in. Jay wants to say something. Dan used to run a little lawnmower shop down in Encinitas. When I called earlier, he said, oh, yeah, do you remember me? I used to fix your lawnmower. Are you serious? No way. No way. No way. Well, Dan is now the mayor of Encinitas. Dan, how do you feel about the papier-mâché shark? Oh, hey, okay. First, I'm going to give you the official line. Okay. And this is my mantra. We do not condone or encourage these types of activities. However, you know, we love the heck out of it. Yeah. That's awesome. You know, you can't... Life can be...
Pretty darn good if people just learn to smile and enjoy things. Yeah. You know, I love that shark and I love that statue. I mean, that statue has just brought out some of the most creative things. I've got a little file here of probably 18 different outfits they've had. And then put on the statue. People do. They put uniforms or outfits on them. I love it. Dan. Listen, that thing's not hurting anybody. You know, that paper mache shark isn't hurting anybody. You know, it's not. That paper mache shark is gone. It is? Yeah, they took it down. When did they take it down? Yes. Yeah, and I tell you, we were really disappointed in that they, you know, it was built to be light and pretty much temporary. And the guys tried to take it down and we had a place to save it. A local came forward who had a lot of storage space and said, boy, if you can take it apart in one piece and bring it up, you know, we'll keep it. We'll preserve it. But it was, you know, it's been pretty cloudy and drizzly up here. And paper mache was starting to crack. The batch was coming off. And so we lost our favorite shark. Well, Dan, Dan's a mayor of Encinitas. Dan, would you consider?
making something like that permanent but not paper mache just for funsies well no okay all right fair enough yeah and and and the the reason for that you know the fun with these things is is um that that um you know you don't go through months of of planning and public hearings and so on and so forth which is exactly what you'd have to do if you went to do anything officially Something that's spontaneous with a little group. Again, we cannot condone or encourage. We heard you. But, you know, that little bit of anarchy is what makes life fun. Dan is the mayor of Encinitas. Woodsy has a question for you. Mr. Mayor, did you keep maybe a fin for your office? I didn't get anything of it. Oh, you didn't keep any. Not even a tooth? Not even a tooth or anything. We're very perceptive up here. When this shark showed up on the third anniversary of the kook, we look back and one year ago...
To the day, which was the second anniversary, we had this wonderful wave with a ghost surfer on it that was built there. Yeah. And, you know, the first thing that hits my mind, oh, my God, you know, it's the same material, so on and so forth. Right. It's probably the same people, which it turned out to be. But now that one we were able to save and we've been able to preserve that. Dan, we're talking to Dan Gallagher. He's the mayor of Encinitas. Dan, I have to ask. The kook, okay, the statue. This is such a strange position he's in. He's in such a... You know, I've got a son who served for a living. I was a lifeguard at the beach. I grew up here. This is our life. My own son turns to me and he says, Dad, you know, the guy, what's he doing dancing? Yeah.
You know, it's so gay. And I look at him and I say, Lucas, you know, think about this, pal. You know, when I look there, what I see is you. What they call Groms now, we used to call Grimmies. Putting my son on his board the first time and pushing him into his first wave, those hands up, that big smile. Yeah. I told him, go make some grandkids. Yeah. Teach them how to surf and see what you think then. I love the statue. You're the best. That's a cool take on it. What a pleasure talking to you. You're a peach. I love you. You're fun. What a character. Dan Gallagher, he's the mayor of Encinitas. Hey, thanks for coming on and telling us what you guys think about that shark. We loved it. We think it was good nature. Okay, well, thanks for having us. And like I say, we're proud of that statue. We're proud of the creativity of the people in town. But the facial line, I want to tell you, I want to go out with that. One more time. You said it. You already said it. We got you. I know. All right, Danny. Thank you. We appreciate you. Thank you. It's Dan Gallagher. He's the mayor of Encinitas. I just can't wait to see what someone's going to do to talk it. Yeah.
Hey, I wonder what the official line is, by the way, about the... So do you guys condone this stuff? Encouraging? Listen to this, by the way. We just got this text from M1 Steve. He said he was at Filippi's in Escondido last night, and he heard, Hoyle, party of two, your table is ready. No! Yes! We asked M1s. That when you go up and you put your name in somewhere, say your name is Hoyle. I forgot already. I did too. I'm doing it. Oh, yeah. I'm all in. You got to say Hoyle. He said when the couple walked past my table, I said, y'all better get. Yes. That is so good. And he said that the guy called him a plebeian. Shut your mouth, plebeian. Plebeian. Dude, we have the coolest someone. No doubt. Greatest listeners of all time. Plebeian. Plebeian. Artisan. It doesn't matter where you go. If you go someplace and they ask for a name, or if you make a reservation somewhere, if you're an M1, say your name's Hoyle. 100%. They'll have nine Hoyles at Donovan's, you know? Say Hoyle hen ready. Yep. Hoyle number three. Yeah, Hoyle party of three. Your table's ready. Mm-hmm. So great. All right, Kevin. All right. Thanks. Thanks. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
All right. You ready to play What's That Sound? Let's do this. We got M1 Boost from San Diego. What's up, dude? Not much, man. How you guys doing? Good. Okay. Are you ready to play What's That Sound? Sure. All right. Here we go. If you know it, you can interrupt me at any time. Okay. Is it a duck or a duck call? Yeah, you got it, buddy. Well done. Well played. Very easy. Not enthusiastic about the ducks. They get harder. Hang on the line. Let's see. M1BLT from Vista. You there? Yes. Okay, this one's harder. Are you ready? Yes. Want to hear the most annoying sound in the world? That was the first thing I thought of. What do you think that was, M1BLT? A wood chipper? Very creative guess. That is incorrect. Okay. That was a power drill. Thank you. Sorry, BLT. That's why I hate the dentist. I know it. M1Robin from San Diego, how are you?
What's up, guys? Not too much? It's a power drill. Sounds like it. Kind of. All right, bro, you ready? Yeah. Here's your sound. It's a quick sound, so you've got to listen. Here we go. Wow. Really? Really? I think I know. Could you do it one more time? You didn't get that. Here you go. Here you go. Here you go. Oh, there we go. Oh, that? Oh, man, that sucks. That just sucks. Is it like your car's starting and it won't start or something? That was a golf swing. That's a hard one. Sorry about that, bro. He was not happy. No, I don't blame him. Really? Really? M1 7 up from Vista. How you doing? You ready to play? Yeah. I won't give you a golf swing. All right, here we go.
One more time. That's easy. Squeaky fart. Wow. I like his name. Yeah, and can we just save that clip of him going, squeaky fart. Yes, yes, yes. Save that, seriously. No, it was not. Woodsy mouthed it to me. Woodsy guessed, and I nodded my head correct. What was it, Woodsy? A shotgun. That's correct. It was a shotgun. Would it have counted if you just said gun? Yeah. Yeah, it would have. It would have. Was it? Sorry about that 7-Up. Squeaky Fart was worth it. That needs to be his new M1 name. M1 Squeaky Fart, if you ever call again. Yes. M1 Scott, you there? Yep, sure am. All right, dude. This is tough. Okay. This is tough. It's the last one, too. These are hard ones today. Jay's like, this is the sound of someone drinking echinacea. All right, so. Do you hear that? That's what it sounds like. Someone just swallowed a pill. Yeah, someone just swallowed a pill. This is a goji berry getting picked. This is a guy tying his shoe. Oh, my. I just got a head rush. I just got a head rush. Where do you try these, Jay? Oh, my gosh. It feels like I just ate ice cream. Oh, my gosh. It's a goji berry being picked. Tying somebody's shoe. All right. Are you ready? I am ready.
By the way, this sound is not far off from any of those things that we just said. Here we go. It sounds like something at a baseball game or something. Not bad. A crowd cheering? No, I'm going to play it one more time for you, though. Okay. Oh, boy. Sounds like somebody throwing up. It does. It does not. Hot dog eating contest. No, but I'll give you 8,000 more guesses. Come on, man. It's a guy putting on a button now. Or it's him ripping it off or something. That was football tackles, bro. Guy with the number threes? I seriously thought it was someone shoving food in their mouth. Somebody mic'd. They actually had a mic on their football. Those are football tackles. Sorry about that.
Someone blinking. This is somebody's REM sleep. This is what it sounds like when someone's deep in thought. Dude, they're feeding goldfish. This is the guy staring into the horizon. Yeah, a list of 2009 health inspection reports from major stadiums. Yeah. What did we find out? Grossness. You really want to know? Oh, yeah. I need to know. Results were startling. Oh, wow. Startling. Freaked up. Health inspectors found rodent droppings. Oh, God. Improper hand washing, bacterial growth, poor refrigeration, expired meat, and the presence of toxic material. And those were just the critical violations. Holy cow. Yeah. Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play? Right. Exactly. Verizon Center, Washington, D.C. Mice droppings, a critical violation, were found at at least 10 of the vendors at that stadium. Mice droppings. No. I don't know how that's seen different than pigeon droppings. That's weird. Yeah, if the Kings are Leon, we're working at Subway, I could see them maybe having a problem with it. That's weird.
The Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. Inspectors actually saw an employee scraping food debris from a spatula using the trash bin. Using the trash bin. And then trying to continue using the same spatula without ever cleaning. Oh, my God. Someone saw an employee do that. I hope they stopped them and didn't just go, okay, noted. When was the last time you went to a ball game or a stadium? Has it been a while? Yeah, but I... Eat when I go there. Me too. Everyone does. I feast when I go there. Who does? I purposely don't eat that morning because I know I'm going to a game. And it's fun. Feast time. I purposely do. I purposely do. It's fun. Holy cow, dude. To eat the food at the stadium. Is it? Isn't it? $100. I usually eat. I go to something right beforehand until I'm full throughout the game. Yeah. I'll drink the beer. Don't get me wrong. I just feel like it's a part of the experience. Absolutely. You've got to have a hot dog at a ball game. Got to. They're saying that Florida had the worst overall violation rate. Some of the things that they did, one location had five critical violations, which is, like I said, mouse droppings, proper hand washing and stuff. But again, they saw an employee handle dirty dishes and then put away clean dishes without washing his or her hands or changing gloves. They didn't have soap at the sink that they were using, so they were not ever washing their hands, just using water. What's the matter with them?
I know, it's disgusting. It's disgusting. You can't just be so happy talking about eating a cockroach. Rat turds. There's nothing filthier than not washing your hands. Oh, yeah, there is. There's plenty. Rat turds and cockroaches in your food. Oh, gross. I'd rather you wipe your nose and hand me a hot dog. Imagine seeing someone cooking something with a spatula, wiping a spatula in the trash can, and then continuing cooking. On the side of the trash can. If I saw that, I wouldn't just go, hey, look at that. I would say something. I would throw stuff at them. For sure. No, I wouldn't throw stuff at them. What kind of a person are you? I'd go, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Easy, easy, easy. How about you grab another spatula, buddy? Yeah.
Sienna wrote in her recap email that yesterday she was watching King of Queens. It was. Not to be confused. For a second it was. No. Yeah. And the woman on the show was frustrated with her husband for not being romantic anymore and specifically not getting her flowers. Yeah. Made Sienna think every woman likes getting flowers, so why don't men get away with stopping gestures like that? What if women just one day stopped cooking meals for their man? Oh. No way that a woman would get away with that. And I agree with Sienna. Do you? I mean, guys. 100%. You need flowers to live? No. Oh, my gosh. Did you just say that? You need flowers to live? Can't make it through your day without food. Yeah, but you can make your own. You can't make your own food? I can. Then why don't you? I do. Your woman cooks for you. Not every night. The kid makes his own meals. Every now and then? Yeah, right. You realize I lived here, what, 90 days without her? Cooked for myself every single night. No, I get you. I know you can. It's just that as men, we really, really, really, it gets interpreted as love. Absolutely. When our woman does that for us. And my dad told me, he said, always make it a point to buy.
Rebecca flowers because he did that for my mom. And so I always make it a point every once in a while. How often? Once every two months. I want to say once every month, but I know I don't do it. I'd probably do the same. Rebecca fills the house. Rebecca fills the house. Her flower arrangements, she does it for herself. They're amazing. How often would you like them? Once a week? No, I don't get them. Ever? No. She doesn't want them? No. Because of her allergies? No. Well, she doesn't like flowers. No, she loves flowers. She says, do not waste the money. They don't last. I would rather have... Let's go to a meal. Well, she loves flowers. My point is when I was watching the show, I'm listening to her and she's like, you used to get me flowers all the time for no reason. And that was something that I loved. And then it's like with men, most of the time that fades away and it starts happening less and less until it doesn't happen anymore. And with women, you know, that's something that a man does to kind of win us over in the beginning. With women, they cook for their man in the beginning and they win him over. But if a woman stopped cooking,
If it slowly got less and less, that would never happen because the guys wouldn't deal with that. We wouldn't complain about it. And here's the thing. If you're in a doghouse, it might not get you out to bring flowers, but it's never going to hurt your kids. It will never hurt your kids. Hey, everybody, we're all going to get laid. You should always get flowers for your lady. I get them on Valentine's Day. That's it. I love them. I don't need them once a week. You don't need them once a week, but. The surprise flower bit. Once every six months would be awesome. I'm not asking for all the time. I married Mr. Unromantic. And I'm not the most romantic person. I don't ask for a lot. But I'm like, oh my gosh, she's right on this show. Why stop those little things and the little notes? Why does that get to stop? Close back to that thing of the love languages. Different people got their different thing. If my wife got me flowers... I'm sorry, it wouldn't mean much to me. In fact, I'd be like, really? Flowers? But if your wife, you came home and your wife made what she knew was your favorite meal and surprised you. I'm instantly in love and I feel like I just got flowers. Yeah, it's the same effect. Yeah, absolutely. Rebecca last night made cookies. Just for no reason. Just because she's a sweet lady. And I love me some Rebecca.
And then this morning I was thinking to myself, I'm going to write that lady and tell her how much I love her. I'm going to drag my ass to the flower stand today. You know what I mean? Gentlemen, all of you out there. I just want guys to realize, like, that means so much. And if the thought ever crosses your mind, like, man, she just did something awesome for me. I want to do something awesome for her. Don't talk yourself out of it. Just do it because it means so much. Absolutely. Like, you have no idea how much that little gesture means. I'm surprised. Lauren. Because, Lauren, I would have pegged you for the more like, eh. No, because I love, like, I like to decorate different areas of the house with flowers. So I'll take as much as you want to give me. There you go. All the time. I'm surprised, too. I thought she wouldn't like it because it was wasteful. No, I love flowers. Flowers are pretty and they smell good. And you hurt the flowers when you cut them out of the ground and they have feelings. They do. I thought that was going to be your bit. I like to bring a little nature inside the house. Fair enough. It brightens up a room. Yeah. What do you think? Is it all right to say something just because it's true? You take a listen to Bob Barker and Dee Snider at Twisted Sister and you find out. We'll do that next. Don't go away.

Don't go to the doctor. It's in my family. We don't go to the doctor. Zienna. I like a beer belly. I'm going to tell you that right now. And Jay. I was the guy most voted most likely to snap on FM 94.9. Welcome back.
Tonight's 8 o'clock album, by the way, is Mike Ness, Cheating at Solitaire, is the name of the album. That's tonight's 8 o'clock album, right here on FM 94.9. So, okay, a couple of things. So I asked you, is it okay to say something just because it's true? Now, maybe you think, yeah, absolutely, it may be. By the way, the clips that you're about to hear, I may very well agree with. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Yeah. You know who said that? Thumper and Bambi. My mom used to tell me that. You know what else they say? What? The truth will set you free. Is that what they say? That's exactly what they say. Maybe that's true. Let's take a listen. Bob Barker. How do you think Drew's doing? Well, he does your show differently than I did. Drew Carey, the new guy that does. Price is right. Price is right. You can't copy the original. By the way, he's egging him on. Yeah, of course. He's trying to get him to say something negative. I try to make the show really exciting, and he doesn't do that. He just plays the games. Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. Hey. Don't forget to spray your nerve pads. Yes. And Drew Carey does that same bit, by the way, which I think is very weird. He has to respond to it. Oh, yeah, I guess he has to do it. It's weird not coming from Bob Barker. Yeah. Is it weird, though, what Bob Barker is saying? Nope.
I mean, maybe I agree with him. I'm just saying. These kids don't are like theirs. Well, you know, and he gets a pass because he's 107. Twisted Sisters Dee Snider on Tipper Gore, who back in the 80s, by the way, was a big advocate of putting the warning labels on music, which Dee Snider felt was censorship. Fought her tooth and nail. In fact, I think he went to the Senate hearings. He did. Did he do it in full regalia? Oh, he was Dee Snider. But he was without the pink makeup, but he had the long hair, and he was in a cut-off T-shirt. Bless you. He didn't do the makeup? He wasn't twisted, sistered up, no. And, you know, the PMRC thing, those stickers were the, that was kind of what they acquiesced to. She wanted to do a lot more than put the stickers on. She wanted a sense of the music? Yep. So here is Dee Snider on... The Wendy Williams Show. No idea what the Wendy Williams Show is. Me neither. It's a talk show. It's a talk show? Mm-hmm. All right, so here he is talking to Wendy Williams. Okay, so in 1985, you guys might remember when Tipper Gore wanted to put offensive material labels on music. And your album...
Twisted Sister was one of the targets. What did they call the top 15? The filthy 15. Uh-huh, most wanted. We're not going to take it. It was the filthy 15. Yeah. We're not going to. That's such a fun song. For violence. They said it was a violence song. Yeah, they were on the raid everything, the PMRC. And I went down to Washington with Frank Zappin, John Denver, and had testified. And I was the scourge of society. I mean, I was a poster boy for everything wrong with society. Yeah. Let's cut to 25 years later. Okay? I'm still married. None of my kids have been busted for drug possession. Can Alan Tipper Gore say the same thing? I don't think so. Truth hurts, doesn't it? Truth hurts real good. Well, and that's the thing. It's like, hey, he's right. Yeah, he is right. He's right. But I don't know. I just kind of do my thing of like. Well, it's like the glass houses bit. Yeah. How bad would he feel? if his marriage fell apart. Yeah. You know what I mean? Truth hurts. He'd be like, oh, snap. Yeah. He's like, filed for divorce today. Whenever someone says, oh, snap, it makes me laugh. Well, when white guys that were formerly in heavy metal bands say, oh, snap, it's weird to me. Yeah. Listen, he's right.
He's right, but does that make it, I mean, how about just not say anything at all? He should take the high road because you know what they say, an eye for an eye and the whole world goes blind. That's right. Oh, wow. Do they say that? Gandhi. Easy. Make time and get everybody with Gandhi. You just said the truth will set you free. Yeah, but I didn't quote anybody. I didn't say, you know, the poet John Locke said that. I was just trying to join the quote game. I believe it was the poet Francois. You know, Nietzsche said that you shouldn't make fun of your co-workers on the air. I believe it was the great Augustine who at the 16th century diet of worms. I was reading some Aristotle last night and he did say that the truth hurts. I believe it was Wood's great uncle who said, yeah. It is true. Hey, don't make fun of me. He did say that. Don't make fun of me.
570-1949 is our number. Sylvester Stallone won the Superhero Award at Comic-Con. Weird. It's going to make my ego get rid of it. I don't know. When I made a choice, I guess, early on in my career, after First Blood, I never knew I was going to be in action films. There was no real sort of action films or suspense films. Really? And it was kind of like almost the beginning of a certain kind of genre. He had his eyes set on Shakespeare. Al Gore invented the internet. He had his eyes set on Shakespeare and then he went into the action film realm. Yeah, well, he's saying he invented it. I thought he said I wasn't planning on going into it. He said he started the genre. I wonder how John Wayne would feel about that. Stuck it out all those years and the ups and downs and bumps and bruises. It means a lot. Yeah, that's all you can say. Apparently he did his own stunts and all those. Right. Jeez. 570-1949. Let's see. Piers Morgan. He's the dude from... Dancing. America's Got Talent. Or is America's Got Talent? Yeah. He may be from a couple, actually, but he's on a dancing... No, America's Got Talent. You're right. America's Got Talent. He's a judge on America's Got Talent and is probably going to take over for Larry King. What? Yeah. Awful decision.
Yeah, I mean, I don't know who he is. No one does. No one really does, right? Well, they were asking him about it. Jay Leno was asking him about it last night. I want to ask you about this whole Larry King. There's a lot of rumors that you may possibly be the person who would replace Larry King on CNN. I can't actually talk about that at the moment, I'm afraid. If I was to go to Vegas. You do go to Vegas. I do go to Vegas. And I was to put a reasonable amount of money down. All I can say as a fact today is I have just signed a new three-year deal with America's Got Talent. Okay. Yes, but I, yes. But I think I remember reading somewhere they would let you do other things if the other things came out. You might say that. I couldn't possibly comment. I'm sorry to be cryptic about it. I wonder if the producers of the Larry King show have seen him interview people before and they say, He's a phenomenal interview because he is a judge right now. It's always interesting to me when they go, you know, she's a TV chef. I think she'd make a dynamite mayor. Yeah. You know, well, the kid was a recruiter. Look at him now. That's it. And I saw in you, I knew you and I went, hey, I think that this person, even though he's never been on the air, I think I hear something that makes him that.
Same with L.O.B. L.O.B. I saw her on YouTube as a stand-up comic. I said, I think she'll be great on the radio. Even though I wasn't a great stand-up comic. You're a great stand-up comic. The other person that they're talking about filling in for Larry King is Ryan Seacrest. And that's who Larry wants to replace him. Now, he's actually done it. He's filled in before. He's done it. And people like Ryan. Well, they're lovers. So, I mean, of course he's going to want his lover to take his place. Has Pears done it? No. Not that I know. Maybe in the UK. was known for something like that because I don't know anything like that. But I don't know. Ryan Seacrest, both of them seem like bad choices to me. Maybe Obama should do it. He's got a lot of TV appearance. I don't have the time. You don't? I do have the time. Oh, you do have the time. No, I was hanging out with the girls at The View the other day. That's right. How'd that go? It went wonderful. We'll get to watch him tomorrow on the show. 5701949 is our number. Hillary's in the studio. Hello, Hill. Hi, Hill. How are you? Great. How are you guys? We're doing good. Are you ready to bring the noise? So ready. Bring the funk? Yeah. Know what I'm saying? Uh-huh. What do you got for us today? Oh, snap. That's what I'm saying. Oh, snap. That and holler. I'm sorry, but Caucasians saying holler. Yeah, we were just saying that. We were just saying that. We said you can't say it. You can't say it. It kills me. Can't say holler.
Oh, goodness. I do sometimes, too. Are there any words that you're, do you say anything that you're kind of embarrassed of, but you love Santa? I have two habits that now that I'm 37, I feel like, really, I haven't lost those yet. And when I speak to adults that are older than I am, I feel like a child. I say cool all the time. I'm so cool. Oh, my gosh, that's cool. What about bitching? And I say, no, I don't say that all the time, but cool and totally. Totally. I've never shook that one. Don't say totes. Totes. Totes. Totes. Totes. Totes. What do you got coming up today, Hillary? Hillary's making fun of me right now. I'm just noticing Santa's bosom look glorious. They are glorious. Yes, girl. Just you wait. Yeah, they're not even there yet. Not even there yet. I can say it too because I have big boobs. You're allowed. You're allowed. Look at the fun bags on that hotel. Go ahead and kill me. Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I don't know how I... Sorry, I was distracted by them. Okay. I sit right next to you. Covered. The best I can. Here's what I grabbed. Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros. Weird. The Soft Pack. Dr. Dog. You want to do my show, what's it? Yes. Is she with that? What? No, I love it. All right. It's all coming up. Totes, Hillary.
Lovely and talented Hillary is up next. And we'll come back tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock and do this all over. Mikey shows out late. The Lincoln Financial Radio Station. Mikey in the morning. About the music all day and night. FM 94.9. It's about the music.
