Friday July 30, 2010
Terrell Owens’ body is the tops according to both Woodsy and Wolfgang. Ellen leaving Idol gets the gang talking about the lackluster judges they’re left with. The poor woman who gave birth on the freeway by herself leads to faint-inducing birthing stories from Jay. Do you let your fingers do the walking and still use phonebooks? President Obama on The View audio is next and the cast cringes at the questions the buzzards err… I mean broads asked him. LOB does such a great Elisabeth Hasselbeak (sic) voice that it frightens Jay! The Kid has Padres audio on WoS and reports on getting Miguel Tejada, a veteran bat. T.O. audio contains a lot of salivating for Carson Palmer’s balls! The third Mikey Show Meet and Greet is announced at the Tipsy Crow on August 13th, wait, is that a Friday the 13th?! Bring your hockey masks, get a free beer. LOB draws crickets with her “August Fogfest” joke during the panel. Things white people like gets the laughs flowing. I have one, white people love tin foil taped to their windows to block out the sun. Don’t believe me? Take a drive through Santee or Lakeside. Will the real Heath Bell please call in? The Kid and Heath close out a great joke on Mikey! Prank Monkey Woods gets off a great one on a shaken up Mikey, who vows vengeance on Woodsy. Luke’s commercial for The Strip Club is aired. Tom Tom Tunes sees a shaky Tom Tom Girl at first, but she finds her groove. Woodsy’s buddy’s cheating dilemma is discussed and alcohol is not an excuse. LOB brings up good points that make great sense. Movies you want your kid to see has LOB tell Mikey “you’re weird, dude!” Ask Men.com asks guys if they ever told a girl they loved her for sex. Woods is a fan of the boob job and tells Lauren to make it right for herself. Promiscuity debates throws around a lot of numbers. Lauren gets anxiety when she has to return a ball or wayward Frisbee. Susanna wants to be Woods’ surrogate mother with the offer of “hey, maybe we slay”! Audio of Sienna at Petco Park with an annoying brat is played and she recaps her experience of mean people staring at her. Radio Charades has a fluttering and flapping LOB, a bloodthirsty Woods, and a boob pointing Sienna. Sabrina announces her vacation and talks about her driver, Maurice. Steven Tyler will be the next judge on American Idol and this spurs a round of Aerosmith song title jokes. The Kid does not wear socks and takes heat for it. The gang reminisces about Thanksgiving feasts and Lauren ends up getting roasted!

KBCT San Diego. Lincoln Financial Media Station. The new home of The Mikey Show. This is FM 94.9. Friday, July 30th. There's only one day left in July. Summer hasn't come yet. I know it. How weird is it that it's going to be August in a couple of days and we still have not experienced real summer? You know, the coldest winter I ever spent was the summer I spent in San Diego. It's great. And it's True. It's funny because it's true. Yeah, we had a little email about our fantasy football. I'm like, fantasy football. Football is starting, and I have not. I've gone to the beach like once. I know it. I can't even believe it. It seems so strange that the football season is already starting. By the way, Woodsy's got some great stuff from Terrell Owens in a little bit, speaking of football.
I can't believe Terrell Owens is a Cincinnati Bengal. Oh, yeah. You know, let me tell you. I think that if Terrell Owens had been on a good football team last year instead of the Buffalo Bills with a good quarterback throwing to him, I think the guys probably got a little bit left in that tank. Dude, I... You know, seeing the way he looks, I saw, watched a little bit yesterday on ESPN. And, dude, the guy, I mean, he's always been shredded. He's always been shredded. And he looks like he can still play. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And, I mean, the guy is, say whatever you want about him, the guy is good. Specimen. Yeah. I don't know if that's a specimen. Oh, no. When you see him, he's a specimen. He really is. He's a physical specimen. I've seen him as a specimen. That dude. How would he not be a specimen? He's like he has a perfect body. Yeah. He's great. His pectorals and his biceps. Yeah. That's great. Wolf King has a picture, a poster of him in his office. Yes. Wolf King has an office? Please never call another guy a specimen. He's a specimen. Hey, I'm comfortable enough to know that I like women. Yeah. To know that, hey, that dude, that guy, he's got it going on. Do women have an equivalent?
To a specimen? Yeah, because I have heard guys go, that dude's a specimen. Yeah. Do women have an equivalent? In fact, I don't hear women go, he's a specimen. Do women have an equivalent for other women of going, that girl. Maybe he's sexy. Like, is that weird if a girl says that? Yeah. You know the rules. Like, ooh, she's really sexy. You know the rules. No woman thinks another woman is attractive. That's actually the best. We talked about that for like 10 minutes yesterday. That's sexy. That's right. Welcome to the show. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the program. And Woodsy has been really cool, Sienna, about my t-shirt today. Good. So lame. It's been really cool about it. I got that for him. Sienna got me this USC t-shirt for my birthday. And Woodsy's a Notre Dame fan, but he's been understanding. He said, why don't you wear an ND shirt? I said, all right, I would. I don't have a problem if I get me in, especially if it's nice and... soft and cuddly like this shirt, I'll do it. Maybe I'd take you to a game and flip you. All right. Because you would flip. All right. I'm down for that. I'm not so, I'm not so, you know, I don't even, I never went to college. You've never even been to a college football game? Never. So you would be a Notre Dame fan after I took you? Never have. Never been to a college football game. So I'd like the experience. Woodsy's our sports guy. He's 35. Lauren is our assistant producer.
And she's also a stand-up comic. She's got blonde hair. She is 29 years of age. And she is drinking some nice, smooth Starbucks coffee right now. Sienna is 25, going to have a baby real soon. And she's got on a nice little sweater today. She's... I had to adjust myself in front of all you guys a minute ago. It was great. Boobs everywhere. No, no, it was not. Wasn't it? Jay, where are you? Jay goes, whoa, look at the gun show in here. Whoa, she bent over and I was like, hey, easy there, Jugs. Wow. My leggings don't hold up, so I have to wear a belly band because of the big belly. Yeah, me too. And the belly band rolls into like a little donut, so I had to like reach down and unroll it. And what's Jay? Yeah. Maybe I get a belly band. Maybe. I'll grab one with you. Been eating right, working out, gaining weight. Belly bands are nice to have. I've gained 10 pounds. No way. It's muscle. Is it? It is. Since you started P90X? Yeah, 10 pounds. It's muscle. It's not muscle. Remember, I complained about the same thing. You don't look like you've gained any weight. I have. Yeah, you don't. You don't look like it. Definitely, definitely have. Jay's our producer, and he is 47 years of age, but he doesn't look like it. Barely looks 27.
He's a little kid. We got a meet and greet that we're going to announce just after 7 o'clock. We're going to be doing a meet and greet. Tell you all about it. Tell you how to come out and say hi. It's going to be really, really good. And so we want to tell you all about it. Let's see. Oh, also, you want to hear what it sounds like when an 11-month-old baby endorses a product? Oh, my gosh. Maybe my 11-month-old son, Luke. A little rascal. Yeah, a little rascal. He's up to no good again? Yeah. You'll find out. Oh, no. Just at 7.30 what I caught my son doing. A little Luke-y troublemaker. And you can call us about any of these topics we're talking about or whatever you want to talk about, 570-1949 or 949mikey at gmail.com. Is Ellen DeGeneres leaving American Idol already? Yep.
Really? Yeah. Yesterday afternoon, she issued a statement. And I mean, it's pretty long. I'll just read a little bit of it. It says a couple of months ago, I let Fox and American Idol producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out what they wanted to do to take the next panel. It was a difficult decision, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. Well, we're all going to have different opinions on it. She's making the right move. No Simon Cowell? See, that's what I think it is. Like, there's no show without Simon Cowell. I think it's that she's leaving because she's like, well, this isn't what I signed up for. Yeah. It's a sinking ship. I think she thinks it's a sinking ship. Yeah. Do you guys think that? They brought her on to help the ship because they knew it was going to go down. And she's like, well, you know, I'm not about, I don't know. I think she knows that there's no show without Simon. It doesn't matter who you are. Simon was...
The thing that was cool, you know, I haven't watched American Idol in a couple of years. But when I did watch it, the one thing that I always, the observation of that guy was, he just said whatever he thought. Yeah. Which was interesting. If you hear somebody say what they feel, that's interesting. He was the only judge whose opinion really mattered. Yeah. You know, to people that watch the show. Yeah, he never said that somebody stunk if they didn't. And he never said that somebody was good when they weren't. Yeah. He always said. Yeah, I thought that was something that I could see on a cruise ship anywhere in the world. And it's hard to be someone who's actually likable for being a jerk, you know? And people like him. Yeah. I think they liked him because he was, it's one word, authentic. Honest. He was honest and authentic. I will always remember him saying, the first time I ever heard him say, I feel like I could have been on a cruise ship anywhere in the world watching that. That's exactly what you want to hear after you just finish pouring your heart out. My favorite was, you sounded like a cat jumping off the Empire State Building. That's brutal. Sometimes he could have been a little nicer about it. Sugarcoat it. Hilarious. A cat? And sometimes he would say, tonight I think you maybe saved yourself from leaving this show. I liked it. I mean, I always thought he was a...
And the reason that American Idol is, the reason why a karaoke show is the number one show in America, the reason that it was, is because inside of us all, we all like to critique. We all like to go, yeah, here's what I think. And then when you hear somebody validate that, you're like, oh, cool. Here's something, too, that may have pushed Ellen to release her statement sooner than maybe she had planned, was that Jessica Simpson has met with Fox producers to possibly be a judge. Oh, boy. Jessica Simpson? Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Didn't they, I guess the requirements, you don't have to be a good singer, so never mind. You don't think she's a good singer? Really? That means that you feel that she only had the job because she had big boobs and she was pretty. Hot. Super hot. I mean, I'm not going to take that away from her. She can't sing a lick. She can sing. Not a lick. She can sing as compared to me. Yeah. But, I mean, if I picked up the guitar and started jamming with her, you'd be like, whoa, wow, there's no auto-tune on that, is there? Oh, wow, that's just raw. Maybe I'm naive, but I usually feel like people that are that successful have some talent. I'm naive. Scott Baio had an album, pal, so there you go. We heard some of it, and it was god-awful. So just because you have an album doesn't mean you can sing. I think she had a dad that pushed her super hard. Yeah.
Yeah, but the only reason that I think she got signed because she had something. Yeah, she did. She had two somethings. Two somethings. Real good. And they were fantastic. Motorboat real good. Look at the fun bags on that hole's helmet. Hear about this lady that gave birth in traffic in San Diego? Yes. No. I'm terrified right now since I read this. This story was everywhere. A pregnant woman was on her way to go see her doctor just before 8 a.m. yesterday morning. She was on the 5 and there was a crash, right? in front of her, right between the 52 and Gilman Drive. And she was stuck, couldn't get to the hospital, went into labor, had to pull off the freeway at Regent's Road and gave birth in a parking lot. Get out, get out. By herself before paramedics could reach her. No way. By herself? By herself alone in a car. Oh my gosh. Mother and baby were taken to Scripps Mercy and were checked out and appeared to be doing fine.
Everything looked good. What would have happened if there was no cell phones? Who knows? Because that means that she couldn't have called somebody and said, hey, here's where I am. You would run into a, I mean, could you even run into a store? I would be honking my horn for somebody to come out or something. You would just be honking to let people know you need to stop and help me because I just had a baby. Like someone needs to catch this child. Chances are nobody would. You know, I mean, you're honking and maybe she's pregnant. They probably would. But man, they're going to want to get that car detailed ASAP. I'll tell you that right now. Hey, listen, this happened actually. Yeah, maybe buy a new one. Maybe burn that one and buy a new one. Seriously, this happened two years ago. Same situation. It was on the 805. And the guy, the husband, was a listener. Called into the Mikey Show. Wow. And one of my first questions to him was, you got to have that car detailed, right? Immediately. No, and he said that he cleaned it himself because he didn't want anyone else to. That is a loving husband. He didn't want anyone else. Because it's like, how do you pull in a car like that? Like, all right, go to work. My wife just had a baby in here. Oh, my gosh. Oh, boy. Yeah, it was this guy who came in. That's when I was filling in. And he came in and was telling the story. And it was his wife's second child. And the second one's come a lot faster than the first one. And this one came fast. Wow. Yeah. So he had to pull over and deliver the baby himself on the side of the freeway. Yep.
I can't believe this woman delivered her own baby. Yeah, just hands between the legs, just pulling it out. And it must have come early because it just said in this article that she was just on her way to see her doctor for checkup. What a great story the rest of her life. That's what Kim's aunt, she's a midwife, and she delivered all of her own kids. Oh, my gosh. Hey, look what I got. Wow. That's insane. And cut the... Did the whole nine yards. Oh, boy. Herself. Yeah. She lived in a place called Terlingua, and it's barren. There's nobody there. I know Terlingua. And it's a ghost town, basically, is what it is. And so she was a midwife for all the moms that had babies out there. So she just squat, pump, boop. There you go. Oh, gosh. It's like catching a football. Oh, my gosh. Did you ever cut the cord? Yeah. Woods just looked at Mikey like... I'm disgusted. You. I would have passed out. They never gave me the opportunity. Did they not? Four kids? Oh, for four? Yeah. I don't feel like I missed anything, though, either. I got to see the circumcision. That was way too much. Nope. You didn't see it. Oh, no, no, no. And you had three. Boys. Yeah. Yeah, three boys. Yeah, couldn't be around it. Absolutely not. Was it hard to cut the cord? Yeah. Yeah. My dad did, I think, for all four of his kids. Zero percent chance.
They didn't do it, Jay, when you were? I feel ripped off now that you bring it up. No, they never said anything. That's messed up. Yeah. First baby was a C-section, but I got to see all that, and that was ridiculous. Oh, yeah. No way. Whoa. Ridiculous. I stood up the whole time. I was like, and they're like, if you feel faint, sit down. I'm like, man, what do you guys got going over there? Oh, boy. Vomit all over my stomach. You are a strong man. It was a change purse. I mean, a little small incision, and they pull it over. Oh, yeah. They're pulling things out, and I'm like, what are those things you're pulling out and putting on my wife's stomach? Oh, good morning. And it was like organs. They pulled some of the plumbing out. And then they pulled this thing out, and they're like, tell her what it is. I'm like, is that her stomach? I'm not sure what that is. It's a baby. It was a baby. Oh, my gosh. I didn't know they did that. But it was like, and it was a little girl, and I was like, it's a b-b-b-b-girl. It's a baby. I'm so convinced it was a boy. Maybe I went in the waiting room. Maybe I text. Maybe I text my buddies. So this woman dealt with all of it on her own in her car. Good for her. It's the only thing you got to do. I have my plan ready to go. You don't think about there being a traffic jam on the way to the hospital. No, you do not. That's terrifying. There was a big story yesterday about Facebook security.
and security breaches and blah, blah, blah. And a friend of mine sent me an email about it. And I wrote him back and my exact email back to him was, I don't understand a word you just said. It's kind of confusing. Like I had to read it a few times this morning, but basically it says 100 million Facebook users learn true meaning of going public. Facebook was not hacked. However, hundreds of millions of people's information was given to the Internet outside of Facebook. And it's basically the people who didn't use their head and put their phone number and their address and their birthday and everything on their Facebook profile. And if you're going to put that on the Internet, it's kind of like fair game. You know what I mean? Like you just can't do that. So a security consultant at Skull Security scanned all the listings in Facebook's open access directory. And then he compiled a text file that lists all that information from people's profiles. Yeah, now. Yeah, it's smart, you know. Let me tell you. It was, so it's all these people's information. Could be you, Woods. Okay, right? Okay. Let me explain for the layman. I have bigger fish to fry. I understand. There may be some people going, what's happening? I used to have my phone number on Facebook. I took it down. Yeah, me too. Never. Yeah, I did too. I was like, well, I don't want anybody to have it. Why did you guys do that?
I don't know. I know. I told you, I welcome intruders. I'll tell you why. Put your social security up there too? I'll tell you why maybe somebody would have. Maybe somebody would because they naively thought, hey, the only people that will ever see this are my friends. And so maybe friends I reconnect with want to call me. That's true. That and I was a recruiter at the time. So I did a lot of recruiting through Facebook. So I always had my cell number and my office number on there. Well, this buddy of mine said that he wanted to see what's what. He wanted to download it, the file that you're talking about, and see what's what. See if he could find, you know, information on what kind of information was available. He said that the file is 9 gigabytes. Oh, jeez. 100 million users, I guess. Yeah. Makes sense. I mean, when you think about it, dude, the average computer doesn't even hold that. So you're going to download a file that's, like, bigger than your whole computer? Yeah, maybe not. He did, though. Wow. There wasn't much on it. He just gave me a sample. Yeah. Well, you can get a lot of, I mean, if people are listed in the phone book, get their name, phone number, address. There you go. Now, the guy who put together this text file from Skull Security, he said, you know, what I did, I did nothing wrong at all. It's not intruding on anyone's personal stuff. They put it on there. It's basically like I just went to a search engine like Google or Bing or Yahoo to find any information that people put online themselves. Sure.
Remember back in the old days, you could put yourself in the white pages and you didn't trip out about it? Yeah, you didn't freak out. Remember back in the old days, there was a thing called a phone book and you could have your address on it and you didn't get freaked out. You had your number and your address. Your address. I just got phone books dropped off at my house the other day and I was like, what do I even do? Who's in here? Who is it wrong that I'm going to just toss it in the recycling bin? Maybe I give those to Mike so he can sit on his car and serve the dashboard. I should have done that. Sorry, Mike. Right? I know. Why'd you throw those out? Is there any bigger beating than the telephone books on the porch? What do I do with that? It's so invasive. It's so wasteful, too. You take these. It comes in a bright orange bag. It's very wasteful, L.O.B. Most people. A lot of paper. Most people do not grab the telephone book. to look up a phone number no most people some and i there's probably you know four people listening right now that are like hey how dare you i do i can't even imagine sometimes though i use the yellow pages for some obscure service that you're like that person's not even that business is not gonna have a website what would that be like a tailor or something like that or yeah but they will be they're
They're still listed under Google. Not always, though. Oh, really? Sometimes stuff flies under the radar. I probably don't want to go to one of those businesses. I know. Those are the best ones. If they're not tech savvy like me. 570-1949 is our number again. Just after 7, we're going to be telling you about the Mikey Show's next meet and greet. We haven't done one for a while. And we're going to do one. And so we want you to know about it. If you want to text us, you can do it, 949mikey at gmail.com. Hey, Jay, who's the food coming in today? Who is the food? Adam set it up. It's the Australian hamburger place. Adam, what does that mean? Bareback? Adam's right now. Is it Bareback Grill? Yeah, yeah. Who is it, Adam? Bareback Grill. Bareback Grill. Cool. Adam is our new promotion director, which is awesome because I've known Adam for years. We stole him from the other station. He's good. He's good. Got him. Let's see. Oh, this is pretty big news. Apparently, calcium supplements could raise the risk of heart attack. How is that?
Now, okay, researchers are reporting this, and many people take calcium supplements. I mean, do you guys, especially women. I do. I do. It prevents osteoporosis, you know. Tums, yeah. But they're saying it may increase the risk of heart attack by as much as 30%. Now, scientists are advising people who take these calcium supplements to talk to their doctors and try other ways if, you know, they're trying to avoid osteoporosis, other ways instead of taking these supplements, including, you know, eating calcium-rich foods, exercising, not smoking, stuff like that. Now, experts aren't really sure why these supplements are harmful, but they've done a bunch of studies and they've linked them to high levels of blood calcium to more heart attacks and damage to blood vessels. So they do have the facts that it's bad and that it's, you know, 30% risk. I have a saltwater aquarium at home. And the guy that takes care of it, he does these little tests on the water and he goes, you need more calcium in there. So he gave me these two large bottles of...
different types of calcium. And he gave me a little measuring cup and he said, every day I want you to fill this measuring cup in and put this in the water every day. And I said, all right. Well, I did that for about a month. And after about a month, the little plastic cup that I used to put the calcium in there had become calcified. And I was like, whoa, trippy. Like it was all on the inside of it had developed this hard shell. Now, my tank looks gorgeous. I mean, it really did help. I mean, all these beautiful things are growing in there and the color came out and it's beautiful. Really did a great job. But she's telling that story and I'm just tripping out on that little plastic cup, how it got all hard. And I'm like. I know it's got to be completely unrelated, right? Maybe your arteries are getting calcified. Your heart is getting calcified. Really? Is that it? One of the professors in this study said that when you take calcium supplements, your blood calcium level goes up over the following four to six hours. And it goes up to the top end of the normal range. And that doesn't happen when you eat calcium type foods. It's only the supplements. Because I take a daily vitamin.
Maybe it's too concentrated for supplements. It's just too much all at once or something. I'll say this about vitamins. I really believe that taking a daily vitamin is a real good idea. Here's why. I couldn't be talked into this forever. I could not be talked into this because I thought it was a bit. I thought it was phony. Vitamins? Yeah, I did. I thought, really? I got to take a daily vitamin? And I just always thought it was a lot of people are like that. Well, here's why taking a vitamin is real good. Your body takes if you have if you're if you're eating a healthy diet, your body will take all these different vitamins from the healthy stuff. Problem is, I eat a lot of burritos and, you know, stuff like that. Weird. And so I wasn't eating like vegetables and a bunch of stuff that's good for me. I would get a cold. I would get sick. I would get blah, blah, blah. I started taking those stupid vitamins and I wasn't getting colds. I wasn't getting sick. I wasn't. And I was like, oh, wow, that stuff was for real. What people were telling me about those things. Legit. I guess it was legit. Maybe eat better. Maybe I eat better. Yeah. Problem is, at least for me, is that salad doesn't taste that great to me. It's delicious. It's great when you smother it and, you know, ranch. Yeah. Bacon. I will say that.
So, Woodsy's been saying that the Padres need a bat. He's been saying that for a while. Yesterday, the Padres went out and they got themselves a big-name bat. Did you hear what I just said? Like, I can't even believe I'm saying it, but they went out there and got themselves a big-name bat, and we'll let you know who it is in Woods on Sports next. Voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. I don't like rain. I like sunshine. Lauren. If you don't use it, you lose it. Woods. I got one word for you, dude. Yeah. I was a really good student. And Jake. I'm a romantic. So sue me. On FM 94.9. It's pretty cool. There's a person from CNN that is using one of the studios here in our building. That's awesome. That's really cool. I always think that stuff's cool, man. Maybe they send that girl that does the morning show. What's her name that I like? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. My little angel from CNN. Yeah. I don't know her name, but... Let me get her in here. But if you did know her name, that would have been a good joke. Yeah. Robin. Every time. Yeah, Robin Mead. Robin Mead. Robin Mead. Every time she's on, all three of these guys are like, oh, she's the tag. Is that the brunette? Yes, the brunette. I thought it was the line. No, the brunette. I'm not in on the brunette. Me and Jay are in on the brunette. No, I think she's smelly. What? You can smell it through the TV. I can. Smell it. I was all in until I heard her talk. Because the TVs don't have any volume on them. And I was just like, oh, yeah. And one day I flipped it on. I was like...
Ooh. It's like Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Robin Mead is an angel. I'll leave it at that. 570-1949 is our number. I want to hear what it sounds like when my 11-month-old son is trying to record a commercial and I don't know about it. Yeah. Well, you'll find out here at 730. We're going to play that. Woodsy's been saying the pods need a bat, and he's going to tell you all about who they got in just a second. And will it make a difference? So President Obama went on The View. The View. It's a chick show. Chickens? No, chick. No, it sounds like chickens, right? It was on yesterday. Rosie O'Donnell used to be on that show. She's not anymore. Hey, Rosie, what do you think about President Obama going on The View? I don't really think sitting presidents should go do fluffy daytime TV shows. Unless you're on it. Yeah. And then you would say it was awesome. Wasn't fluffy when you were on it. Yeah. Was a little fluffy. Let's see. Thanks to her. Yeah, thanks, Rosie. So they asked him all kinds of stuff. Here's them asking him about his BlackBerry. They took your email away when you came in, but do you do it on the side? You know, I have a BlackBerry, but only 10 people have it. And I've got to admit.
It's no fun because they think that it's probably going to be subject to the Presidential Records Act. So nobody wants to send me the real juicy stuff. You know, that was a big deal when he was elected. It was a big deal. Big news story that Obama loved his Blackberry. He loved it. It was like his thing. And so when he got elected, he they said you can't. First of all, they said you cannot have it. It wasn't like. Well, you know, blah, blah, blah. You can't have it. And he said, I have to have my BlackBerry. So they made it like 007 James Bond. They worked on his BlackBerry so he could have it. But he just said only 10 people are allowed to know the number. That's shocking. That's such a bummer. So what are you guys up to?
Yeah. Same old stuff. Why move? What am I missing out on? I know it. Just call me at home. I'll be here. I mean, imagine. Call the White House. Well, imagine, you know, how many things would change in your life if you became the president. A lot. You know, I got an email. I got a Facebook. I got, you know, stuff like a lot of stuff we're used to. Sorry, you ain't going to have it anymore. I'll tell you what, it might be liberating. Yeah? Take that all away from me. I might be a better person. It probably would be. Like, I imagine if I crash landed on a deserted island. First of all, the medicine I take, you know, the internet. You'd make it 15 minutes. Dude, I would go, you know what? I'm just going to start swimming. I'm going to go for it. I'm just going to start swimming. I'm going to see if I'll make it. Jay's laughing. I can hear him. Make it out just past the waves and drown. Yeah, probably. President Obama, did you know that Lindsay Lohan is in jail? Do you know that Lindsay Lohan is in jail? I actually know that. You knew that? I did. I bet he knows more than we think he knows. He has daughters. I mean, you know. He has a TV. He has a TV. Another important question that they asked President Obama. Should Snooki run as mayor of Wazilla? Oh, look at it. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Kill me. L.O.B. Instantly. It's so ridiculous. Ridiculous.
Jersey Shore, Snooki. Oh, it's the worst. I gotta admit, I don't know who Snooki is. Thank God for that. I think he actually just said that just so he would save face. I hate to throw this out there, but I'm going to. What? I think I know what's coming. What is it? I bet you do know. You know who doesn't get asked about Snooki? The person that doesn't go on The View? No, that's not what I was going to say. What I was going to say was... If the women from The View, the very liberal women from The View, if they had former President Bush on the show for the day, do you think that the questions would be as softball as what do you think of Snooki? Let me ask you. It's a lighthearted show, obviously. And what do you think they're going to ask him a foreign policy? If they had Barbara Walters or Joy Behar is going to go. So tell me why.
in, you know, 2006, you decided, I mean, there's no way. Well, they had, it was supposed to be part of their, like, red, white, and blue week or something like that. So they're supposed to have politicians on all week, and they're supposed to be talking about that kind of stuff. Oh, yeah. It's not Tom Brokaw. I believe that if President Bush had come on, they would have said, hey, listen, the unemployment rate's pretty high, you know. I guarantee all questions were pre-approved. Oh, yeah, they have to. There's no way. Yeah. What about what President Obama thinks about Mel Gibson? That's what they were asking him. I'm not surprised. Why do we care? I think that people care. I know we do. It's like, why do we? Well, if I'm sitting here and I'm asking myself, do I want to know what he says? And even though I know it's going to be predictable, what do I think he's going to say? I think they should castrate him. Yeah, exactly. I believe that they should take Mel and castrate him.
I think we should do it right here on The View. I don't think he's going to say that. Yet, I want to know what he's going to say. I want to know. I still want to know what he's going to say about Mel Gibson. Does Mel Gibson need anger management? Let me answer the Afghanistan question. No, look, I haven't seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while. The tapes are really better than any movie he ever made. Oh, please. He's playing it off real well. I'm annoyed. You know he's been listening to it in the Oval Office. He knows all of this. On TMZ. Yeah. He knows who Snooki is. Yeah, what do you think that Blackberry's for? Like, come on. TMZ.com. Exactly. I bet he's only allowed to go to, like, .org or .gov websites. .gov. He's excited.
Freaking Canadian Parliament website again. This is really exciting. He's sitting in the Oval Office going, this is freaking boring. You're bored out of my mind. I'm bored already. Can somebody please sneak me in an inquirer? Give me an intern. Yeah. Inquirer. Give me an intern. OK Magazine, anyone? Yeah. My kingdom for an Us Magazine. Most boring thing ever. Oh. Elizabeth Hasselbeck, the lone conservative, albeit kind of, I wish she didn't, there's a lot of conservatives that I just wish didn't represent me. You don't want to have, you know, her waving the flag for your bunch. Yeah. Oh, boy. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. She asked him about unemployment, though. Of course she did. Hard hitting. You in on it?
Yeah, let's hear it. I just have to be controversial. Oh my gosh, that was great. Holy crap, that sounded just like her though. That's terrifying. Oh my gosh, yeah, it sounded just like her. So here's what she asked about unemployment. We are in a state of chronic joblessness yet. And we heard in the beginning of the show as well, you claim that there's saved jobs, something of standard that's not been used before by any administration. It's frustrating to hear that saved jobs boasting. Because it doesn't feel... By the way, you can hear drop. Oh, yeah. Everyone's waiting. What stupid thing is she going to say this time? That way to Americans when they don't have jobs and they're losing jobs. How can you continue and your administration continue to say that you are saving jobs when, in fact, people are losing jobs? Well, actually, Elizabeth, what's happened is that we've gained private sector jobs for the last...
Five months. Yeah, you know why? Because we did a census. We hired a gajillion people to do the census. Hey, Elizabeth, just shut up. I want to ask him about Dancing with the Stars. I want to know what he thinks about Dancing with the Stars. Just shut up. I thought that Barbara was not supposed to be back. I don't think she is, is she? She had surgery, you know? Yeah. I watched the clip with 50 Cent and she wasn't back yet. Fwifty. 50. 45 cents. I have to call you 45 because it's harder for me to say 50. Sweet. So we were losing jobs when I was sworn in. As I said, 750,000 jobs per month. We've now gained jobs for five consecutive months in the private sector. You're absolutely right that it's not enough. And if you don't have a job right now. The only answer that you want to hear is, I'm hired. So the frustration that people have is entirely justified. You know, I know at that very moment that Barbara Walters felt like her dog was taking a pee-pee in the living room while a guest was over. Of somebody else's house. Yeah, she's like, can you not upsweat him? Upsweat. When he came here.
He's the president of the United States of America. And you are enswilting him. Elizabeth. Elizabeth. Elizabeth. What is wrong with you? Why do you always do this? You always do. You always embarrass us. Always. 570-1949 is our number. If you want to give us a call. We are now. going to do a little Woods on Sports, and I can't wait because I want to find out what's going on with the Padres. Woods on Sports is supported by our friends at Clearview Eye and Laser. Well, last night, the kid jumped off his couch. Yeah. Okay, I was watching the Padres Dodgers, 2-2 in the ninth. Heath Bell comes in, three up, three down, makes it happen, and then comes the bottom of the ninth. Cut one. Out of the middle, he's here. Here comes Hairston. And the Padres win to go seven games in front of the Dodgers. Yeah, baby. I love it. Oscar Salazar comes off the bench, single up the middle. Kid jumps up. Go, go, go. Hit third, scored. It was money. It was money. Well, and before the game, they finally. The cool thing for me is the trade deadline is tomorrow. Yeah. And earlier in the year, we were talking about the Padres, and we were like, well.
Gee, I wonder where Adrian's going to go. I wonder where this person's going to go. I wonder where Heath Bell's going to be playing next year. Right. No way, dude. We're buyers now. We're not selling. That's what you had been saying, man. We needed to get a bat. We needed to get a bat. They went out yesterday, and they traded for Miguel Tejada. There it is. So I was talking to Mike about it yesterday, and Mike goes, well, Woodsy, he's a little old. And I said, yeah, he's been around a long time. But what's the cool thing about Miguel? And this is what you always hope happens when you get a veteran in. He's been playing for the Orioles. So the Orioles are in the same division with the Yankees, the Rays, the Red Sox, and the Blue Jays. They haven't been in it since week one, and I'm not kidding. So that guy's been going through the motions every day, going out, plays hard. Hopefully coming here to a pennant race is going to reinvigorate the guy. He's going to be probably batting behind Adrian. He's going to see some pitches to hit. Dude, I love the move. I just love the fact that we are buyers now and not sellers, and I think it's really, really exciting. Bud Black is also exciting. Cut to. You know, getting Tejada. An experienced player knows how to play, which will fit right in with this group. So hopefully he can come over here to this situation and contribute somewhere in our lineup. I love it. I do too, man. I'm really excited to see him in a Padres uniform. It's going to be cool. The guy can still hit. There's no question. The Padres will be taking on the Marlins at Petco this weekend.
Let's keep it up, man. Just took two or three from the Dodgers at home. Keep that momentum rolling. This is exciting, man. I got to tell you, man. What's happening with the Padres is pretty exciting. I'll give you a quick update, too. They are three and a half up. They're in first place. They're three and a half over the Giants. They're seven games above the Dodgers, and they're nine games ahead of the Rockies, which is just amazing. Love it. It's going to be very exciting around here in September if they keep up their pace. Also, Terrell Owens has a new team. We talked about the Cincinnati Bengals. He missed his flight. Of course. He missed his flight. What else is new? He missed his flight to Cincinnati. He wasn't that stoked to be going to Cincinnati. He's stoked, but I don't know what happened, but he missed his flight. He made it for the evening practice, and he did practice with the team. Here's a little audio. It's going to make you giggle because you're seven like me. Cut three. That makes my mouth water. I've longed to have a quarterback like Carson. Just running around with him out in L.A. I mean, his balls were on point. Like, they were in reach. So, for myself, I just want to be myself. Woods, I could see the look on Woods' face. And this look says, what am I supposed to do with that? What am I supposed to do, man? Am I not supposed to play that gold right there? That makes my mouth water. Am I not supposed to hear that?
Him talking about Carson's balls. Yes. They're on point. They're within his reach. I mean, come on, dude. He's a low B on the weekend. Who did you hire? You know who you hired. You know you were going to get that audio. He's talking about footballs being thrown his way. I don't know, man. We're adults. He said his mouth was watering for Carson Palmer. We're adults. You know, the interesting thing is that he's like, you know, my mouth's really watering for a quarterback like Carson Palmer. You've had them. You've had them six times, man, in your career. Maybe zip your lip, go out and catch some passes. Yeah, that's true. You know what I mean? Also, this morning in the paper, Sean Merriman has basically come out and said, hey, I'm not going to camp. I'm not going to camp on time. Oh, boy. It's not going to do it. Why? Respect. He said he wants stability. He doesn't want to be on the trading block every three weeks. He said that he wants to be the man on defense, and he wants them to. prove to him that he is the man on defense. So that's exactly what Chargers fans wanted to hear this morning, I'm sure. You can almost feel both sides of it, right? Absolutely you can. On his side, that makes sense to me. And on their side, they're like, dude, you realize that you have a reconstructed knee. We've got to see something. You've shown us stuff in the past, right? You've been great. But you've got to show us that you're going to be able to make it through a 16-game season. If I were his agent, this is what I would say.
I would go, listen, man, make them pay. Yeah, make it sting. Go out there this year and make it so that next year we stick it to them so hard that you are the highest paid defensive player in the league. Absolutely, man. Absolutely. And finally, Antonio Gates, you know, on a bright side, is now the highest paid tight end in the league. He signed an extension for five years. Here he is on his new deal, cut four. Obviously, it was flattering. considering the situation that we have and the guys that we have around this team, you know, and what makes it special is that every player, you know, understands the business side of it. And just being able to get that out the wing, be able to focus on going to play football and trying to win a championship is, you know, your number one goal as a player. And I was able to do that this upcoming season. Good for him. Yeah, no doubt. And that's a big piece of that offensive puzzle for sure. That is Woods on Sports, my brother. All right, stick around because we're going to be announcing where our next meet and greet is going to be. And we're going to be doing it when we come back. That makes my mouth water. Thank you. It should. It should make your mouth water. We'll tell you all about it, where our meet and greet is going to be next. Pop it in. And turn it on. Be a part of the Mikey Show now.

And I did not graduate from high school. Lauren. I have to admit, I like party in the USA. Woods. I don't like being alone. I don't like going places alone. Sienna. I like Nickelback. And Jay. I'm so tired. On FM 94.9. I'm Mikey. That's Woods. That's Lauren. That's Sienna. That's Jay. Our phone screener is Chris. We also have a live studio audience in here today. On Fridays, we have a live studio audience. We do something called the Mikey Show Backstage Pass. They all get laminated backstage passes. And get to hang out in the studio with us. We're going to have food from the Bareback Grill coming up here in just a bit. And welcome to the program. 7.30 this morning. You get to hear me walking in on my 11-month-old son while he was recording a commercial. I don't know who the guy thinks he is. We now are going to make an announcement to you.
Preschool band? Somebody stop hurting that elephant. That's right. Big finish. Uh-oh. You know what? Stop torturing the elephant. Sometimes. All right. Thank you. Wow. Ladies and gentlemen. I like that. Our next meet and greet is going to be at the Tipsy Crow. That's right. Next meet and greet is at the Tipsy Crow. It's going to be. August 13th. That crow sounds really tipsy. It's going to be August 13th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. And the manager is also going to have us in the nest. That's the top floor. The nest. The trust tree? Yeah, the trust tree. And so you come up and hang them with us. And they're going to have specials out there. And it's going to be really cool.
It's going to be a 21 and up thing this time. Now, anybody that's 20 and under or 21 and under and they're going, well, what about us? Don't worry. We're going to have plenty of them that will be all ages. Tipsy Crow wanted to do this. Tipsy Crow is actually one of the sponsors for the team that Woodsy plays on, his men's baseball league. And it's going to be really fun, man. It's going to be a great time. And we're going to have buckets of beer. For $9.49. Nice. There's also, there's no Padres game that night, so the parking's not going to be crazy. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, and there's a parking garage right by there. It's an awesome, awesome place. You've been there, right? I've been there before. Yeah, after games, we go there. And it's really cool. It's so cool, man. It is. Would you say they had ping pong? They've got shuffleboard. They've got shuffleboard. They've got darts. And then they have pool upstairs. Maybe we stay. I'm going to put in a little appearance and stay for a while. Yeah. That sounds fun. That's going to be good. Okay, the panel. Got a couple of items on the panel today. The panel is things that are happening around either San Diego or in our world that we discuss. And it's kind of like round the horn. We discuss it for 20 seconds. Myself, Woodsy, and L.O.B. First thing up, there's a reason, they say, possibly, for the weather that we're having.
Well, they say it is. Well, the average temperature so far has been 65.9 degrees. Now, that's at Lindbergh Field at our airport. But that's, you know, almost five degrees below normal. You'd think it'd be more than that, actually. Yeah, I would actually think that the normal temperature would be 80 degrees. So that's the monthly average, 65.9 degrees for the month of July. People are like, what's the deal? Is it La Nina? July. July's supposed to be, like, blazing hot. I know it. And I thought it was El Nino. But maybe it's La Nina. No, there was El Nino. In the winter. Yeah, La Nina's summertime. Really? Come on. I had no idea. Well, there's a climatologist who's been, you know, studying this, and he said that he doesn't think it's related to La Nina. And he said, you know, it's May Gray, June Gloom. I've never heard this before. July sigh. Oh, wow. You're reaching, pal. I know. Maybe the worst rhyme I've ever heard. Ever. What else goes with it, though, you know? How about we don't make up a rhyme? Yeah, maybe we don't rhyme stuff. Yeah, maybe we go, huh, this is a cloudy July. Okay, how often do we, in the month of June, are we like, oh, man, this June gloom. Yeah, maybe we don't. We love it. Okay, then. Maybe we want to make a stretch for July. I have one for August if it happens. What? August Fogfest. Crickets. August. August Fogfest.
It happens every year. Yeah. Speechless right now. I am too. Speechless. If it gets to that, that is bad. August is always beautiful. Here's my panel discussion for you. El Nino, La Nina. Is it a bit, Woods? I don't know. I don't know what it is. Yeah? It's weather. I don't know, man. You don't know? All I know is I was promised all this great weather. I haven't seen it yet. Are you complaining about San Diego? No. I love San Diego. It's the greatest place in the world. But I was told, I was told. Hey, man, 75, year-round, amazing. I have a hooded sweatshirt I wear out of here. Nothing against San Diego. I love San Diego. It's the weather we're having. It's the weather we're having. Don't take it personally because I love San Diego. El Nino is a weather pattern that comes every once in a while. It doesn't happen all the time. But I got to tell you, dude, living in Dallas, it's 110. So I'll take this with a smile, though I would love to be in the water more, at the beach more, and all that. L.O.B., do you believe that this is cyclical? The El Nino? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't know exactly what it is. I know it has something to do with, like, fronts and streams. Cold fronts. Streams. I believe it's something. Yeah? I'm no climatologist. Aren't you? Then why are you wearing a t-shirt right now that says, I'm a climatologist? I bought it from Goodwill.
creeped out by the weather. Now, I know that that sounds weird, but I don't know. I just think it's really weird that San Diego is all cold. Maybe it shouldn't creep me out, and maybe it's not going to happen again for 45 years, but it kind of trips me out a little bit that it's all cold. Love it. Santa's preggers. So it doesn't bother her at all. My mom gave Mother Nature a real nice call for me. Yeah, a little bonus. Yeah, this one made me laugh. Cupcakes are on their own. Cupcakes are on their way out. Okay. What? See you later. You guys have heard, and you see there's now cupcake stores and stuff like that. Cupcakes are like a trend right now. Okay. And apparently, according to Yahoo Shine, they put together a list of a bunch of foods, food fads that are going out. Yeah. Cupcakes is number one on the list. What? Listen, I'll tell you, if there's one person on this program that believes that foods are a fad, it's Woods. Yeah, it's a bit. Pesto. Yeah. That's so good. Not eating pesto anymore. It's got pine nuts in it. Pesto was a fad in the 80s. Did you know that? That's what Woods believes. It's not. It's like an old world tradition. I mean, they've only been making pesto. That's when it was hot, though. It was real hot. Everything was pesto. Then it was sun-dried tomatoes. Sun-dried tomatoes were definitely a fad. Gotta get your hands on some sun-dried tomatoes.
Those things are repugnant. Nobody would eat them. What? I love sun-dried tomatoes. Ew, they are. Aren't sun-dried tomatoes and pesto woods, aren't they, like, you still find that on menus everywhere? No. Well, it's like, okay, right now, pomegranate. That's a big fact. Oh, yeah. Because of it. Acai. Acai. It's stuff that's always been around. Hey, you want to snort cocaine and have nagels in your house, pesto's a good option for you, okay? Wow. That's a real good option for you. Maybe get some black lacquer furniture. Lauren O'Brien. Yes. Oh, was that Woodsy's time? Yeah. Well, at one point I just started hitting the timer because I was like, oh, well, you know, he's on a roll. He's going for it. We were just having like a round table discussion. He's going for it. What's the question? The question is, is the question is, is that do you not eat something because you think that it's lame and out of style? Oh, I see what you're saying. You know what I mean? Yeah, I think I would. Yeah. Like what?
You would not eat it? It's a great commentary. Like the cupcake thing. Like I would not pay like $5 for a cupcake just because it's like, ooh, yeah. It's the end thing. Yeah. You don't? I just get it at a birthday party. I don't think it's a birthday party. There's a new cupcake store downtown La Jolla and I've been dying to go to it. I'm surprised you haven't been already. I know. I know. They had a big grand opening and I saw like the lights in the sky. Maybe you make that right for all of us. Sweetly. Maybe I do. Yeah. I don't think it can go out of style. For me, any kind of food that you like, it can go out of style. It's good. Pesto? Out of style. Freaking good. Nobody eats pesto anymore. Really? What, do you work on Wall Street? What are you eating pesto for? Plenty of people eat pesto. I'm not eating it anymore. Is that it? Pesto loafers? Nobody eats pesto anymore. I just put pesto on a pizza last night. You're an exception to the rule. I had to get pesto on the side of my sandwich because I can't have pine nuts anymore because I get pine mouth when I eat them. Pine mouth? It's a bad taste in L.O.B.'s mouth. Yeah. It's an adverse reaction to pine nuts. Did it go away? Well, it went away after like 10 days. But it did go away. But I'm terrified. I went to Sienna's baby shower, and there was some delicious couscous dish or something like that, and I started eating it, and I was like, pine nuts! Did you get the pine mouth back again? No, I picked them out. You did? Yeah. But it did go away, right? It did go away, but I'm terrified to eat them again. And now, stuff white people like.
Are you ready for this? Cupcakes. Let me tell you. Pomegranate. Let me grab this. Woods gave me this book. Maybe the funniest book I've ever seen in my life. Woods gave you that book? It's called Stuff White People Like. He's marked it up with post-its. It's color-coded. I put these little color-coded deals on there. Nerd. The idea is, you know what? White people probably like those. Oh, 100%. Little post-it things. The little colored post-its. Tabs. That show you in a book where you left off. White people like bookmarks, too. Yeah. Oh, I love bookmarks. Highlighters. Highlighters. White people really like tea. It's true. My wife, who's the whitest McWhitey in the world, little blonde hair, blue eyes. This is how she was looking through this book last night. She's like, check.
And I'm looking through it last night, and I'm like, oh, wow, I do that. Oh, wow, I do that. Oh, wow, I do that. So this is what it sounded like. Oh, L-O-B. Oh, me. Oh, my wife. Oh, L-O-B. My wife. You know what I mean? Where was Woods in the mix? No. Woods wasn't a bit. Kind of. I rage against that machine. You know that. Oh, boy. Stuff white people like. Making you feel bad for not going outside. 100%. Look at L-O-B. It's so beautiful out. It says, as mentioned earlier in this book, white people really love to go outside. But not everyone knows that another thing that they like to do is make people bad for not wanting to go outside. Yeah. Or for watching sports on TV or playing video games. Well, it would be easy to get angry at white people for this. Remember, it is hardwired in their heads that the greatest thing people can do is go outside. Wow. Guilty. Guilty. Jay, you're probably a little guilty of that. Nope. Oh, come on. Oh, yes, he is. Another thing white people like, microbreweries. Oh, my God. You love it. White people love them some microbreweries, don't they? God, they do, man. You know what white people like? Wine. Oh, yeah. Big wine. White people really like wine. Yep. This next one made me laugh out loud because it made me think of one particular person.
White people really like not having a TV. Oh, God. It's a big bit, dude. It's a big bit. It's a big player. It's a huge bit. It's a big player in the white people world. It's not. Oh, yes, it is. I don't watch TV. Lauren doesn't have a TV. Okay, I have the vessel that you watch. The vessel. It turns on and off on its own, and I watch movies on it. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. 570-1949. If we forget one, please feel free to give us a call and remind us of one. Goji berries in there? Goji berries is in here because white people love organic food. That's right. Oh, yeah. They love organic food. Rebecca, last night, reading through this, she goes... Hating their parents? White people hate their parents? It's one of the big players. Oh, my God. It's one of the big players. Some. Some. Obviously, this is a joke. It's meant in jest. Cannot describe all white people. As a Mexican male, how many categories did you fit into there, Mike? I fit into so many. I mean, most of them.
Most of them. You're the whitest Mexican ever. Oh, please. Are you kidding? I don't even know how to speak Spanish. White people love snowboarding. They love the snow. They really do. Yeah. They really love their snowboarding. You know what else they like? They like their veganism and their vegetarianism. Big time. Mm-hmm. I tried it for 24 hours, 48 hours. Did you make it the whole 24? No, I didn't. No, I didn't. You know what else white people like? Kathy, call it up. You know what else white people like a lot? Brunch. Who doesn't like brunch? You know who doesn't like brunch? A lot of my Mexican cousins. A lot of my Mexican cousins have never had brunch. They don't even know what the hell brunch is? In fact, a lot of my Mexican cousins would be like... What the hell is brunch, man? Just make up a meal? Hey, Mikey, why don't you go have some brunch, dude? Let me see, dude. Hey, Mikey, you don't know how to speak Spanish, dude. What else are you going to do today? Are you going to go have a nice little quiche Lorraine? Eat it up real good with maybe some brioche bread, dude. Where else can you go and have breakfast with dessert? Yeah.
And you have to have mimosas. Oh, yeah. White people love mimosas and Bloody Marys, man. They love it. God, Bloody Marys is such a bit. What? Get out of there. What are you talking about? I've tasted feet that taste better. Oh, my gosh. I love Bloody Marys. I love them. Oh, my gosh. We're getting some good ones right now. M1 Ginger from Claremont. What do white people like? White people love Livestrong bracelets. Big player. It's a big player. Bracelets in general. Yes, bracelets in general. Because you know how the Livestrong bracelet started the other bracelet? Oh, yeah. The little rubber thing. Now everyone has a bracelet for that. The rubber bracelet. To the point where you almost have to go, hey, what's yours all about? Right. What's that one? What's that one stand for? That drove me nuts. I just bought one of those rubber bracelets. You did? I bought one for Jenna and says, I'm a big sister. The company that came up with that originally is just like, yep. Yep. They're doing real good. Ratting themselves on the back. Doing real good. Tie-dye, too. Another thing white people love. Oh, tie-dye. Tie-dye. That's right. That's true. M1 Malone from Mira Mesa. What do white people like? Wow, white people are all into those balance bracelets right now. Oh, yeah. I had one. Yeah, Woods had one. He chewed it off. I got chewed it up. Yeah.
Another thing is, you know, I'm guilty of all those, but I'm not white, man. That's right. That's right. What are you? Oh, I'm African-American and American Indian. There you go. I'm glad that was delicious. Wow. Silence. Lauren at MikeyShow.com. That makes my mouth water. M1 Blue Fig from downtown. You have one that's actually in the book. What is it? I think it's in the book. White people love bottled water. That is 100%. That is 100% true. I don't go anywhere without one. Yeah, Mikey. It's 100% true. Mikey's got a graveyard. I know I do. M1 Sanjaya from San Diego. What do white people like? They like sour cream, bro. Just a dollop. Just a dollop. Just one dollop is fine. Do Mexicans not like sour cream? Not on their tacos, man. They have like a certain type of sour cream. Yeah, it took a white guy to put sour cream. I know. It took a white guy to put sour cream on a taco. What's the secret sour cream you're hiding, Mike? It's freaking delicious on a taco. Oh, it's great. There's no doubt about it. On a taco, yeah. White people love their kitchen gadgets. Oh, Mikey.
Again, I read this going, that's me. That's right. You can't just use a can opener. You have to have the can opener machine. From Williams-Sonoma. Mikey's got a mortar and pestle in there. It's made guacamole. I have a vacuum sealer. A vacuum sealer? Yeah. I have a KitchenAid mixer. You have a melon baller. Melon baller? We have an egg slicer that you put the egg in and you push the thing down and it slices it up real nice for you. Wow. Of course. When they showed... When they show it in the book, because there's a lot of pictures for a lot of things that white people like, and it's kitchen gadgets, one of the things was a hot dog cutter. Oh, yeah. What? For your child. Oh, yeah. You have to have a hot dog cutter where, you know, you press down on the hot dog, it slices it. Oh, wow. Instead of slicing it. How lazy are people? Individually. You know what white people really like? The Toyota Prius. Hello, dude. They love the Toyota Prius. I don't have a Prius. Oh, my gosh. Have you ever seen? Have you ever seen anybody but a white guy? I haven't seen anybody but a white guy. I would like to. Never. Or find an Asian maybe, but you're not going to see any other things out there. In fact, our radio consultant, our radio consultant, Randy Lane.
He drives a Prius. Absolutely. Of course he does. Yes, he does. Because he's being good to the environment, Mikey. Mikey, I drive a Toyota Prius. He would be 99 out of 100 for what white people like. Everyone. 100%. He might be 100 out of 100. 101 out of 100. You know what white people like? Bicycles. Who doesn't love bicycles? I don't love bicycles. I don't. Oh, please. I don't. You need a beach cruise. I don't. You could use a bicycle? Yeah, I could know how to use a bicycle. No, I said you should get on one. No, I don't want to. Hey, Mikey, this is your cousin Nacho, dude. I don't drive a bicycle, dude. No. And guess what? I'm not going to drive a bicycle, bro. I disagree with that statement. No way. Dude, you're going to wear your fanny pack on it too, dude? Maybe you get your cool post office jersey and a cool long helmet. Oh, that kind of bicycle. Like a mongoose? There's plenty of people on those. White people. Jay. Yes, Nacho. Why don't you throw on a yellow jersey while you're riding your bicycle, bro? You don't want a lowrider bicycle? He has one on right now. Only bicycle I would ever ride is a lowrider bicycle, man. He gets a little chain steering wheel. Throw that on there. M1 Chris from Oceanside. You there?
Yeah, I'm here. What do white people like? White people like Starbucks. White people love. Four out of five here have a Starbucks. L.O.B. holds her Starbucks up to the side of her face with a big white girl smile. Oh, I love it. I just drink apple cider at a Starbucks. So white. That's something white people like. Apple cider. Carriage rides at Christmas. And Christmas caroling. That's right. That is right. White people like standing still at concerts. Not this white guy. Not this white girl. You may see some air drums and air guitar. You might see me at a concert with my hands in my pockets. Absolutely. Shuffling back and forth. Standing still. Standing completely. Here's me at the most crazy concert in the world. Just too cool to move. Stoic. Not moving. Stoic. Standing there. Hands sewn in your pocket. Meanwhile, I'm doing the booty drop. Yep. That's right. At a journey concert. You know what white people like? They like difficult breakups. Oh, yeah. Drag it out real good. Here's what it says in the book. It says, prior to engaging in divorce, most white people train for it by engaging in a series of long-term relationships that end very poorly.
At some point, you will likely encounter a white person who's in the middle of a difficult breakup with a boyfriend or a girlfriend. The suffering of heartbreak is universal, but it is important to be aware that white people thrive during these trying times. If you play your cards right, you can parlay these moments into future favors and valuable trust. Is that specific to white people? 150%. Really? Well, and Mexicans like me. You know what else white people like? Hating corporations. Oh, yeah. The man. The man. The man. The man is a big player. Plebeian corporation. Yeah. The man is something that we stole from the black man. I know. That's a term. That is true. Yeah. And we use it. They're probably like, what are you doing? That's our thing. You know what? Have it. Because now it's just, you guys are making too much of a big deal out of it. That's right. M1 Dan from Lakeside. What do white people love? Well, I got something for you. First one is Zima beer. Zima's a beer? No, it's a Smirnoff now. It's some kind of an alcoholic drink. I was all over it when it came out. The other one is NASCAR. NASCAR. Yes, yes, yes, and yes. I got two more. Two more things white people love. Shorts. Agreed. Shorts. Love shorts. And?
Natural childbirth. There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. There's nothing wrong with it. In fact, you love it. Yeah. You love it. I wouldn't go that far. Here's a band white people like. The band is called Depeche Mode. Depeche Mode. Yeah, that's white. Is a big white people player. Here's what I got for you. Like I told you, I got twin boys. They're 11 months old. One of them's name is Luke. He's a real, he's a real rascal. Yes. He's a little disrespectful to his dad. Sometimes. Sometimes. Sometimes. Yeah, well, I caught him trying to record a commercial. And so when we come back, you'll get to hear that. Let your voice be heard on The Mikey Show now. Call 570-1949 or shoot him a text. 949-MIKEY

Also, the 56 eastbound before Camino del Sur, an accident on the right shoulder. This was a car that went off the roadway, took out the guardrail and the fence both. And the 5 southbound Main Street, that off-ramp's still blocked by a 30-foot... boat that is stuck in the middle of lanes. This report also brought to you by Quiznos. Today we're seeing just a little bit more of that southwest pretty swell, wave tracking in from about 195 to 205 degrees out there. Still, again, on the small side and very inconsistent, but a little bit more is better than less. Looking at waves running in that ankle-to-knee waist-high zone on average with a rare chest-high wave of possible plus on that at the top south-facing areas, but again on the very inconsistent nature.
Overcast skies will greet you, but not quite as overcast as it has been, promising for earlier clearings. And some light winds that are mostly calm right now, but they do have a little bit of a potential for some texture later on as the morning continues. Beach breaks, semi-welled up. Reef breaks, open to the south swell, looking a little bit better. And that's about the way it's looking. For up-to-the-minute surf reports and forecasts, go to surfline.com. And for everything you need in order to go surf, check out Winter South Coast Surfshelps five locations or go online at southcoast.com. This surf report is brought to you by Guayaquil Yerba Mate, and it can only be heard three times daily right here on FM 94.9. This has been the FM 94.9 Authentic Surf Report. Mikey Show with Mikey. I don't have any, you know, athletic ability. Lauren. I was a bit of a pyro when I was a kid. I knew how it worked. I knew how destructive it was. I still started fires on the reg. Woods. I don't like to be tickled because I squeal like a little girl. Sienna. I love cruises. And Jay. I'm wearing doctors right now. On FM 94.9. If you missed it earlier, our meet and greet. Our next one's going to be at the Tipsy Crow August 13th from 5 to 7. Love to see you out there. Sienna, what's going on in the news? Well, yesterday, House investigators accused veteran Democratic Representative Charles Rangel of New York with 13 violations of congressional ethics standards.
This is pretty crazy. I mean, allegations include failure to report rental income from vacation property, accepting favors and benefits from donors that may have influenced congressional actions. A bunch of stuff not making Democrats look very good right now. Also, very sad news. A young boy, one month old baby died from the whooping cough here in San Diego. Now, the reason I'm telling you this is because. It's just showing you that this is a really big thing that's going on right now. It's rare to die from it, but it is going around. They've announced an epidemic. You need to make sure that if you're near a baby or you have a baby, that they get the booster shot because it's really, really, really important. Yeah. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, Tim Tebow has signed his deal. He will be joining the Broncos today. He agreed to a five-year deal worth about $11 million. And then also, very sad story, Lorenzen Wright. It was a former NBA player in Memphis. They found him in the woods. He was shot, and they have a 911 call from him that we'll probably be hearing, and it's pretty bad. Also, the Padres took two out of three from the Dodgers, and they will be taking on the Marlins this weekend. Yeah, a big part of that win was M1 Heath Bell. Incredible player, all-star player, and on the line right now. Heath, how you doing? I'm doing pretty good, kind of.
I kind of had to wake up because this is Mike, right? It is. Yeah, you know, around the clubhouse and around the stadium there, we've heard some reports that you're not really a Padre fan. You're kind of just saying, yeah, they're okay, but you don't really believe in us. And I'm the type of guy that will call a radio show to try to figure out what the heck, you know, a local San Diego radio station is not going to believe in us. What do we need to do, win every single game? Is this really Heath Bell? Yeah, this is really Heath Bell. My oldest is Jasmine, then Jordan, and then Reese, and then my new one, Rhett, just moved down here. Hey, Heath, let me ask you this. If this is really Heath Bell, what is the place that we met for the first time? We met for the first time. Yeah, what charity event? Charity event. That's kind of hard because I meet a lot of people. Yeah, I know, but me and you had a conversation at it, if this is really Heath Bell.
a lot of conversations. I could tell you my birthday right now where I was born in Oceanside is 9-29-77. Isn't all this information available on the web though, Heath Bell? Yeah, probably. When was the charity? I'll narrow it down. I'll put it this way. It's a charity that's done every year. The Down Syndrome charity that I do or the Adrian Gonzalez charity that I do. Yeah, it wasn't either one of those. Me and you had a long conversation at that charity event. Wow, it sounds like Heath, though, because he called in at one time. Yeah. Jared said he was going to call, so. Jeez, dude. You're throwing me on the spot here. Well, yeah. I can't figure it out. Yeah. Well, he kind of threw you on the spot. Yeah. Yeah. I just don't think this is really Heath Bell. And it doesn't sound like the Heath Bell that called. Don't to me. Really? No. The thing is, well, let me just tell you, okay? This is the real Heath Bell. That's 21.
I could give you every information that if you would want. I don't know what charity because it's like 7.30 in the morning. Went to bed at 1 o'clock. Yeah. But, and I have four kids and a fairly new dog that I wasn't too prickly happy with when my wife came home off the road Sunday. Well, okay, so. I got to name it Buttercup. So let's say. I almost named our dog Buttercup. Yeah, let's say that this is Heath Bell. Gotcha. Heath, you're calling in. And the reason that you're calling in is to say that I don't like the Padres? You're not really a true Padres fan. We kind of hear that you said it, but then there's a couple comments that Adrian heard in the morning and a couple things that Chase has heard. You know, their blockers are right next to mine. And I was like, you know what? I'm going to call in this radio show. You know, for a simple fact is I've talked to Mike before. He seemed pretty cool. But I'm kind of ticked off that, you know, you're not a true believer in San Diego. And I'm trying to figure out why. I tell you what. Tell me. what it is that makes you feel that I'm not? And what were the comments? Because I know Adrian, too, and did something with Adrian at the Rock Church, and I know Adrian. And so tell me what it is that I did that was wrong, Heath. You were like, you know, the Padres are doing good, but are they going to fold? Are they going to, you know, last all year? Are they going to make that big trade? Well, we just went out and got Tejada, man. You know, and Jed told me we're going to try to get a starting pitcher just before, you know, tomorrow.
But if we don't get one tomorrow, we'll probably do some of the waivers that I don't believe will happen. But he still might do something. I didn't think he was going to get Tejada. And he went out and got Tejada. So that was really surprising because, you know, I didn't think Jeff was going to spend some money. But he went out. He's helped us out a little bit. He can give Chase a breather. I don't know who's going to get sent down. I hope it's not Everett because he's a good young ball player. Heath, if this is Heath Bell. You keep saying that. Dude, because I'll be honest with you. I talked to you. I talked to you. I talked to you and had a very cool conversation with you at an event called Star Pal. Yeah, there you go. I do that every year. My wife was there. Yeah, yeah. And so the conversation I had with you was really cool. If I've said anything that has offended you or Adrian, I apologize. But what I will tell you is that I stand by the things that I say. The truth is, is that in previous years, my...
feeling has been that the Padres are like a girlfriend. And I have this relationship. You have lots of girlfriends. What? You have lots of girlfriends. Yes, I have. Okay, there's your problem right there. All right. All right. But, again, Heath, I apologize if I've offended you or Adrian or anybody in the Padre organization. I will still continue to give commentary on the air. You know, that's what I do. But you're a Padre fan. Yeah, I am a fan. I love the Padres fans. Are you just jumping on board with us because we're winning? No, he's in Padre. No, no, no, no. I'm kind of jumping on board because they're winning. No, I'm going to be honest. How many games have you gone to? Listen, I'm going to be honest with you. I'm kind of jumping on board because they're winning. And I think that a lot of... How many games have you gone to? I haven't gone to any games this year, but I... Hang on. The reason that I haven't gone to any games this year is because I go to bed at 6 o'clock. Are you waiting for a bobblehead that's not going to come out until the playoffs? Really? Really, Keith? Hey, Keith. Hey, Keith. Hey, Keith. Maybe I... No, come on. I'm just kidding. Heath, come on, dude. Give me a break. Of course I'm a Padre fan. I was a season ticket holder back in 04. And I love the Padres, man. But I mean, I got to tell you how I feel. When they won the division in 06, they won the division. Then I came over in 07. We had the one game. We kind of blew it. Then in 08 and 09, we were really stocked. You guys are playing good baseball.
We're playing excellent baseball. Excellent baseball. That's right. Chip Jones thinks they should have swept us when we went there. I wish they took two out of three. Well, Heath, I'm really bummed out. It's kind of like when you're into, I don't know, a band. And you meet the band and everything's cool. And then the band's like, hey, I heard you didn't like one of our songs. I'm like, oh, wow. I'm sorry? I've also heard that you like Cutlass. They're a really cool band, but they don't want to be associated with somebody that's not a true Padre. Wow. I was actually just hanging out with Jeff, the drummer, last night with me and my wife and his wife. I'm trying to think, is this a bit? Is this, you know, I don't get it. What? The whole thing. Well, bro, Heath, listen, I love the Padres. Big supporter of you. Mike, Mike, I got to say one more thing. My daughter's in there and wants breakfast. Hey, just to let you know, somebody on your show wanted me to call in and yell at you and spoof you. So you better turn around and hose down somebody in there that called. When you mess with the kid, you're going to get got. And you're going to get got real good. Are you kidding me right now? Mike, I love you. I'm getting mad at you because somebody told me to get mad at you. Oh, my God.
Made him up real good. I was like, I didn't even know what to say. I was really uncomfortable. When you mess with the kid, you're going to get got. And you're going to get got real good, pal. Wow. Mikey right now is shaking his head no. He's so mad at me. And he's pale. He's so mad at me. He doesn't even know what to say. Yes! I'm sitting here and I'm going. What is happening? Well, first of all, I'm like. I have to tell Heath that I'm really sorry. You're like, he smells mean. And then I thought, man, he's not very nice. I was like, oh my gosh, should I say, I was on your page too. I love the Padres, but oh my gosh. He was kidding you, dude. And I honestly, I'm telling you the solid truth. I did not believe it was Heath Bell. Yeah, I didn't think that you did. I know. I pretty much figured that out. But for the life of me, I couldn't remember the Star Palace. Oh, man. He's like, oh, man. Oh, man. What was the charity then? Oh, man. Heath, you're good, man. You're really good. Who else is good? Oh, my gosh. I'm not even talking to you for the rest of the day. Mikey.
If you could have seen him during that, he was just looking around like, what did I do? What did I do? I said sorry. I love the Padres. Somebody on this show really wanted to get you. He got me real good, and I told him, you don't know when it's going to come, but you can rest assured that it's going to come. Wow. What did Mikey do to you? You know what Mikey did to me. Well, maybe the listeners don't. He made me read that fake spot, and I had to read all those made-up fruits, and I was mispronouncing words. That was very good. Hey, Heath, let me tell you something. I am going into my laboratory to think up a prank for once. And when I get him back, it is going to be monumental. Yeah. I got to hear about it. Heath, let me tell you. You're the best, dude. Thank you for doing that. I definitely got to hear about it. I have a couple of pranks that I've done. You've come in the studio. We'll brainstorm. Yeah. I can do some things, too. Oh, can you tell? The guy's like De Niro, dude. Yes, he is. He's like De Niro. I'm like, oh, my gosh. He was dropping the names of his kids. Yeah. His dog buttercup. We need to talk about that, by the way. I got a, it's a small poodle.
Something. Yeah, exactly. Multi-poo. Dude, you pitched your ass off last night, man. That was incredible. What a nice inning you had last night for the win, dude. I'm going to vomit. Yeah, Mikey's about to vomit. You guys did awesome. Yeah, great job, dude. I was in my nosebleeds, though. I'm a fan. I love the Dodgers. I like you. I love you. You were great last night, brother. I love you. Even better this morning. Yeah, even better this morning. I came home Sunday and... My wife said I had a surprise for me, and I was like, oh, okay, cool. I haven't seen her in a week. Walked in the door, and all the kids are surrounded by this multi-poo, and it looks like a lab. Or a lamb, you know. They are the cutest little puppies. Yeah, but I have a... I like big dogs. I got a... It's Heath Bell. I know. It's a girl dog for sure. It sure is, Woods. I got four Yorkies at my house, pal. You have a Labradoodle, Shih Tzus, and now a Multi-Poo? You can't say that on the radio. That's a fantastic household. Yeah, you know, I got the name of the dog except for I had choices.
So that's what I like the best. You're the best, dude. Thank you so much, Heath. All right, Mike. Take care, man. Thank you. Oh, my gosh. You know to what lengths I had to go to pull this prank on you, my friend? I don't think he wants to know right now. Mikey right now is like, I don't know whether to kill you, to get off the air, to laugh, to cry. This is the dilemma in my head. I'm like, that's probably one of the biggest moments in Mikey's show history. And I want to kill Woods. I want to kill Woods. That was like, you looked terrified. Terrified. I didn't know what to do. Here's what's going on in my head. I'm like, how does God want me to deal with this? How does God want me to deal with this? And I hear God going, you have to say you're sorry. You have to tell him that you're sorry. And then I'm going, all the things I've said, I meant I'd still say them today. But you've never said anything bad about the Padres. The only thing you said is with you and me. And we've both said that I feel like I'm in a relationship with them. And you get your heart broken. And you put it out on the air, which means it's open game for anyone here. Which I'm willing to. And I'm thinking to myself.
And I'm hearing this voice in the back of my head go, you need to say you're sorry. You need to say you're sorry. And this is what I'm saying to the voice. I'm like, no, he's a jerk. And this is wrong. And this is wrong because I didn't say anything that isn't normal. And I'm going to defend myself. And I hear the voice in my head going, there's a lot of people listening to be a good example right now. And I'm like, okay, I'm going to be a good example. I'm like, hey, I'm really sorry. I apologize. You know, blah, blah, blah. And he's like, yeah, well, I just don't think you like us. And I'm like, oh, my gosh. Hurts, sadness, fear. Hurts, sadness, fear. Oh, wow. Hurts, sadness, fear. And when he said, hey, by the way, I got something else for you. I'm like, this was all a gag. As soon as he said that, I go, this is all a gag. I got one more thing for you. And I thought. It can't be a gag. Please let it be, though. Yeah, please let it be. Please let it be. I was waiting for you to hang up on it. I was, too. I was, too. Please don't hang up. Then I'm going to have to explain and look like an idiot. You're calling him Keith. Yeah, Keith. He got so flustered. He got so flustered. Keith. Wow. Mike's going to be thinking about that all weekend. All weekend? All year. Rest of your life. I'm sort of at this.
at this place here on July 30th where things that come as a surprise in my life can kind of go away for a little while, you know? I think I've been surprised one too many times in the last nine months. Be good sport. I am! I am! I owed you one, and now we're even. I have a feeling this war is not over. Mike, you'll get him right back. You'll get him right back and it will be gold. M1 Jason from San Ysidro. Oh, my God. Mike, keep it going. Sack up and let it keep going. That is awesome. That is best material right there. Yeah. Thank you, dude. I'm not kidding you. I think it's probably one of the biggest moments ever. Can I just say that I went to Rebecca and I ran it. past her first because we're boys you're you're you're my boy that can't possibly be true it is absolutely true and i i you know my goal was not to hurt you dude i wanted you to be like oh wow i'm getting attacked and i never said anything bad about him you know i never this is ridiculous this is all hearsay mikey boys do come on
Oh, dude. And I got you, dude. Oh, my gosh. I got you real good. Okay, anyone who has prank ideas, email Mike. Did I sound like a moron? Did I sound like a moron? No, you were like. I sound like a moron. No, you sounded incredulous like you should have. That's why I did it because I knew you'd be like. You wouldn't be like, yeah, you're right. You know, you guys suck and I don't think you're going to. You were incredulous because you're like, I never said that you guys aren't going to do that. I never said this and that. And I knew you would. So it's a no-brainer. Mike, are you going to be able to go on with the rest of the day? Yeah. Am I? Of course I will. Maybe we'll just call it The Keith Show. Too soon. Hi, Mike. It's okay, Mike. We're going to get him back. No. We're even. See, now I know. Where the bar is. Oh, really? Yeah, now I know where the bar is. You're going to have a hard time jumping over that bar, pal. I'm creative. It's coming. I'm going to dream up something. I'm going to go give him a hug right now. I have to. I'd maybe go make him an enchilada or something. I think Woods strategically had the studio audience in here so that you... Did you guys know?
The studio audience knew? You guys knew? I told them this morning. Oh, my gosh. They didn't even tell them. Oh, my gosh. They knew. Jay knew, and I knew, and Rebecca knew. Don't bring me into this. Me, Jay, and Rebecca. They knew. They knew. I told them this morning. What? I was sitting there like, what do I say? I was thinking that you had him in here so that Mikey wouldn't kill you afterwards. Maybe that, too. Pretty smart. Wow. We love you, Mike. Wow, wow, and wow. We'll be back. I got twin boys, Luke and Ryan. and Ryan is a very, very sweet little kid, the shyest kid I've ever met, and always got a smile on his face. Luke, on the other hand, Luke is a rascal. He's got a scowl. Yeah, he's usually got a scowl. He's up to something at all times, and so I walked into the studio the other day, and Luke is recording a commercial. Hey, this is Luke Esparza, Mikey's kid. And I wanted to tell you guys about my favorite restaurant that I like to go with my boys and get a couple of cocktails. Look at the ladies. Maybe grab a steak. What are you doing? It's called the strip club. What are you doing? What are you doing? First of all, why are you standing?
On a bunch of phone books stacked up. Because I'm short. It runs in our family, if you didn't notice. I didn't notice. Don't talk to your dad that way. You're 11 months old. All right, Captain. So anyway, the strip club. There's one in La Jolla. What are you doing? There's one. I'm doing a freaking endorsement, dude. Maybe share the wealth. You're doing an endorsement for the restaurant at the strip club? Yeah. They don't know about it, but I'm doing it because it's delicious. So you just decided that you're going to come in. So you go in, you cook your own steaks, and it's pretty badass. The waitress is there. Amazing. You're 11 months old, bro. So what? Don't do that. Don't do what? Well, first of all, don't come into the studio without asking your dad. Second of all, you've never been to the strip club. As far as you know. All right. Well, yeah. So anyway, the strip club, downtown or La Jolla location. Oh, my goodness. If you're going to do it, put the headphones on correctly. This is the new style. Is it? Yes. Okay. Maybe join the Times. Okay. Anyway, again, it's the strip club, downtown or La Jolla. Delicious. Get out of here. All right. Get out of here. This is my son, Luke. He's 11 months old. Love that kid.
You want to do a little TomTom tunes? Yes. Let's do some TomTom tunes. 570-1949. Now, the way that this works is we actually have a TomTom GPS device in the studio with us right now. That is correct, Mikey. And you have in front of you some lyrics, and you're going to read the lyrics all. What the listener needs to do is decipher what those lyrics are, correct? That is correct, Mikey. Okay, so call us right now, 570-1949. Now, Jay, what do we have to give away? Today we have angel and anarchy sunglasses. Oh, look at you. All right, let's do it. So call us right now, 570-1949. And it is not as easy as it sounds. Somebody's going to be reading lyrics. You think that that's all they're going to do. You just have to decipher the lyrics. Sounds easy. It's not. I took these lyrics directly from the kids' collection, Mikey. You did? So these came directly from Woods? From Woods' car, Mikey. Something tells me that I shouldn't be buying this at all. These are from a bunch of old cassette tapes, Mikey. Well, we'll see what they are. Let's see. M1JMac, you there? What up, Mike? Not too much, dude. You ready to do this? Yeah, I'm going to do my best. Okay, now remember, her inflection is not human. It's computerized.
And so you're going to have to study very carefully to try to figure out what it is that she's saying. Are you ready? Yeah, let's do it. Okay, go ahead, TomTom girl. So many times it happens too fast. You trade your passion for glory. Do not lose your grip on the dreams. I'm sorry, Mikey, I have to turn this way. The kid is getting me all choked up. Can I begin again, Mikey? Yes. So many times it happens too fast. You trade your passion for glory. Do not lose your grip on the dreams of the past. You must fight just to keep them alive. It is the eye of the tiger. It is the thrill of the fight. Oh, my God. Rising up to the challenge. Everyone, J-Mac, you can jump in at any time, by the way, if you know the song. The Eye of the Tiger. That is correct. It actually is Eye of the Tiger.
I was like, she just said Eye of the Tiger. She just said it. Well, you won. A pair of Anarchy sunglasses. Hang on a line. First concert I ever saw. Survivor with Aria Speedwagon. Before or after Rocky? It was right when that was at the height. Wow. It was at its height. Didn't you say they opened with it and closed with it? Yeah. Yeah. They did it twice. Yeah. Why not? Well, I mean, what are you going to do? You're going to strike while the iron's hot. Yeah. I mean, it's your song. You got to do it. M1 Chubbs from OB. How you doing? Good. How you doing? Good, bro. Okay. Now, Tom Tom Girl is going to read these lyrics to you. But again, you really have to listen carefully in order to figure out what it is. Okay. Are you ready, Tom Tom Girl? I'm ready, Mikey. Go for it. Reshuffling. Hey, where did we go? Days when the rains came. Down in the hollow.
Playing a new game. Van Morrison. That is correct. And very good. Dude. Isn't he known for being a real good songwriter, Van Morrison? Very well done. Hang on the line. You just wanted yourself a pair of anarchy sunglasses. Up next, M1 Steve from Old Town. How you doing? You think you're going to be good at this? You know what? I'm pretty confident. It's Friday, so come on. All right. Let's give it a shot. Mikey, according to my recollection, this next song is the kid's favorite song in his entire repertoire. Let's see. You look at me. You got nothing left to say. I am going to pout at you until I get my way. I will not dance. You will not sing. I just want to love you, but you want to wear my ring.
Well, there is nothing I can do. I only want to be with you. You can call me your fool. I only want to be with you. M1 Steve, any idea what that might be? Blondie? It was not Blondie. In fact, she actually said the name of the song in the lyrics. Twice. Twice. It was Hootie and the Blowfish. Ah. That's right. Man, it's hard. It is. It is. It's one of my favorite games, but even I, it's hard for me to play it. Oh, yeah. The inflection is not the easiest thing to understand. 570-1949, or you can call us, 949mikey at gmail.com. A couple of things to tell you, and I also, hey, dude, tell, I don't know if you are okay talking about this. I think you are.
Because we talked about it before, but you got a buddy. Yeah. That you were, and the reason that I wanted us to talk about it is because I thought, man, there's probably a lot of dudes listening that may feel the same way. The buddy, what he's considering, and that whole deal. Yeah, I got one of my friends, known him forever. Well, he has been with this girl for a couple years on and off, and, oh, dude. It's rough. We've been having late night conversations about it and giving my advice. It's a really hard thing to do because basically what had happened was she went out of town. He went out with the boys. Got a little tipsy. Did something he shouldn't have done. By did something he shouldn't have done, he woke up with another girl. This is his girlfriend? No, he woke up with another girl. No, no, no. But is he married? No, no. It's his girlfriend. It's his girlfriend. Right. And he's like, he's just one of these dudes. He doesn't do stuff like this, man. Like, this is really out of character. And he's like, he goes, yeah. He goes, you know, I'm going to tell her. And I'm like, really? Well, see you later. You know, I mean, that's the deal. If you tell her, she's gone. Sure. He's like, well, what do I do? I'm like, this girl was in from out of town. You know, it was a huge, huge mistake. I was like, dude, if you want to keep.
what you have, I wouldn't say anything. No way. Hey, I mean, if you want to keep what you have, I wouldn't say anything. But if you can realize that you made a mistake and that's all that you want is your girlfriend, then, I mean, I wouldn't say anything. I think that the truth will set you free. Yeah, literally free. He will be free and clear of his girlfriend that he, you know, says he loves. Well, see, the thing is, is that you've got to figure. I don't know, man. If you do that, isn't it indicative of a problem in the relationship? What? If you're doing that. Like he's cheating or lying? It's not necessarily, though, man, because, you know, I think that he really loves his girlfriend. And I think he made a huge, huge mistake. I mean, there's no getting around the fact that it's a really big mistake. But I told him, if you tell her, it's over. And, you know, I mean, I know her. For sure. It's 100% over. 100% over. If somebody cheated on me and I found out, done. I'm out the door. Yeah, and there's no reconciliation or anything. I don't know. And if she can't, you know, if she's not going to be able to move past it, and, you know, to be honest with you, I don't know that he can move past it. He may end up telling her down the road, but I said, dude, best thing is forget it ever happened. What if he tells her when they're married or something or when they have kids and she feels like she doesn't have the out that she has now? At least now she'd have a choice.
Yeah, and let's see. I want to know what M1s think. 5701949, if you've ever been in that situation, if you have thoughts on that situation. Sienna, what do you think? I just, I'm sitting here like, oh my gosh, this is rough. But I mean, you have to be honest. And I think that if there was a shot in her maybe staying with you, it would be if you told her. There's no shot. There's no shot. You know what guarantees her staying with him? Not telling her. And that's his dilemma. That's not a guarantee, though. Yeah, but that's, how can he live with himself knowing that, you know? Like, that's, oh, forever. The truth services sooner or later. Like, if he wants to marry her one day, and he's going to ask her, will you marry me? There's going to be the thought in his head, like, I should tell her. I should tell her. And that's never going to go away. Yeah. He gets angry, and she does something, and he's going to be like, you know what? Back in 2010, I cheated on you. Right. Well, I mean, that would be. That's a grenade, you know what I mean? Yeah, that's a huge grenade. But I mean, I don't know. I'm just a believer in the... At least someone should be equipped with what the truth is, and then they should be able to make their own decision. Because if he rationalizes this one, he's like, you know what? I'm not going to tell her about this one because it was just a drunken mistake and blah, blah, blah. What happens if the next time something else like that? Well, I'm not going to tell her about this one because...
You know, it didn't mean anything. And I don't know. Well, I mean, knowing him for as long as I have, it's not a pattern in his behavior that he's this kind of dude. He could become one if he got away with it. Well, I mean, yeah, he could become a junkie, too. I mean, if he tried heroin one time. But I'm just saying, like, you know, it hasn't happened. And, you know, I just told him, hey, if you really want this girl, your girl from, you know, your girlfriend, I just wouldn't say anything, man. And try to forget it ever happened. Yeah. Well. I think that if you tell the truth, you know, the result may be that she splits. But if you're not telling the truth because you want what you want, it's motivated and driven out of selfishness, which is what the first mistake was motivated and driven by. The first mistake was motivated and driven by selfishness. So it's just more of the same. And so I don't know. You know, I think the right thing to do is to tell the person what happened. But I want to know what M1's think. 570-1949. This is a strong opinion from M1 paparazzi in San Diego. What do you think? Good morning. My thing, I've always had a huge issue with this, is I don't believe alcohol is the cause of cheating. I believe it lowers your inhibitions to cheat. I agree.
I believe that he has some commitment issues, some sort of issues where he doesn't feel the relationship's going to last. He can say he loves her all he wants, but being a straight person, I'm not going to drink and suddenly turn gay and decide to do something gay. That's true. And the same idea, if I'm in a relationship with somebody and I drink, I'm still in a relationship with that person. It's not going to say suddenly, oh, I'm single and I can sleep around. M1 paparazzi, I think you make a great point. I mean, listen, Woods. you can get as drunk as you're going to get, you're not going to wake up in bed with another guy. You're right. I'm not wired that way either. I'm not attracted to men, so that's kind of a moot point. Well, wait a minute. If the bottom line is, well, I did it because I was drunk and I didn't know any better. No, no, no. You can't say that. You know better, dude. You know better, but I'm not going to slay a dude because I got drunk. That makes no sense. What role did the alcohol play? Don't you think that we are kind of hardwired not to be monogamous? We've chosen to be a monogamous society because it spares people's feelings. It stops the spread of disease. It keeps it in the family. That's kind of a structural thing we've put in place that you have to work at every day. Right.
That's why they call it a commitment. You commit to it. If it just happened and it was naturally easy, then everybody would be running around, you know. I guess where I am on board is I can't in any way, like, have alcohol be a part of the... It's not an excuse. No, it's not an excuse. But, dude, it's a freaking factor, man. I know a lot of people, me included, that have done some things that I... I never would have thought about doing or say some things that I never would have said. This is what I mean. This is what I mean. Like, if we got in an accident when we were drunk driving, we would never go, hey, guys, hang on a second here. We were hammered. I was hammered. And the thing for me is, like, I've done a lot. I don't want phone calls to open up on this. I've done a lot of stupid things because of drinking. But if you have somebody else to consider besides yourself, there's always that. For me, I've never cheated. And there's always been that blocking point that stops you from doing that. If you care enough about that person. Yeah. And maybe that's the issue. I mean, he says he does, but it's also he could say he does because he feels guilty and he feels like he messed up. Yeah. Let's see. This is...
M1 compressor from La Jolla. You there? Yeah, I'm here. What do you think? Basically, I'm based on the circumstantial point where if he doesn't man up and take circumstances for action, it's just going to haunt him for the rest of his life. Yeah. Because basically, in our society, if you suffer from something or you pay a consequence, you learn from it. But unfortunately, if he goes on with this and he pays no circumstances for this mistake... it's just going to be that much easier for him to do the next time and the next time. So if he wants to have any healthy relationship down the line, he's going to have to man up and pay the circumstances. Whether or not he loses his girlfriend, that's just unfortunately something he's going to have to pay. Yeah, and he's got nobody to blame but himself. But, I mean, are we going to sit here and say that it is impossible to make one mistake and never make that mistake again? Well, based on my path, yeah, it is. Right. But I just think then his mistake becomes her mistake unknowingly. You know what I mean? Like, if she was equipped with the information to be like, okay, he's capable of this, he's done it once, at least she can make her decision of whether or not she wants to forgive him. But if she doesn't know, does it hurt her? Yes, because he could do it again, and she could, you know. And she doesn't know who she's with, you know. She thinks she's with someone that she's not. M1 Bear from Linda Vista. Hey, good morning, guys. How are y'all doing? Good.
Okay, I've been in this situation. My wife and I have been married for just over five years now. And about, I'd say about a year and a half into our marriage, she told me one night that she had gotten drunk that she cheated on me just before we got married. And I was kind of upset that she even told me in the first place because now I was thinking, oh, this is all based on a lie. This is all, you know, down the crapper now. What's the point? But the sense to me was, okay, I still love her. I made a vow that it was going to be for better or for worse. I understand this guy is just in a situation where it's just his girlfriend. But if he loves her, I still say he needs to tell her. And if she loves him, then I don't see why things couldn't get worked out. There may be a little bit of a trust issue or something along those lines. But there's still a good potential for things to work out. Like I say, this was only a year and a half to my marriage. I didn't call it off. I didn't enter anything. We've now been married for five years and got a kid on the way. Nice. Yeah, and I think the deal is that I think of trust like a bank account. See, with trust, you're always making a deposit. And if you mess it up in that way, you can empty out the bank account and you put it in the red.
Then you've got to start building back up again, building back up again, and get it out of the red. That's the way it works. And so if he tells her, it's just a fact, he's going to empty the bank account out. The bank account is empty. You've got to start working on building it back up again. Yeah, he's going to be building it with somebody else. That's the problem. That's what he's worried about. But that's up to her. She might be able to be like, okay, I love you enough to get past it, but I just feel like it's just only fair to be equipped with, you know. The information. I mean, and, you know, me telling him that was just, hey, bro, I know what you want. I've known you for a long time, and I know what you want out of this, and there's no question that you really messed this thing up. Yeah. But does she want a cheater? Again, it goes back to just what he wants. Yeah, I mean, but again, does she know he's a cheater if he doesn't tell her he's a cheater? No, but it'll come out. If a tree falls in the forest, then nobody's going to hear it. A bird in the hand. Makes a sound. Still makes a sound. That's so hard. I hate this topic. It's brutal. I know. There's no right decision, I think. Sienna has some movies that you'll force your kids to watch someday. I love that because I can think of three instantly. You probably have yours too.

Oh, really? I do a lot of things I shouldn't do. Sienna. I go on long walks. And Jay. I just got reminded of the worst haircut ever that I had. I forgot about. I had the rat tail. Oh, my God. On FM 94.9. Welcome back. If you missed it earlier, we announced that the next Mikey Show meet and greet is going to be at the Tipsy Crow on August 13th. It's going to be nice. It'll be really fun.
Tipsy Crow, August 13th, and it's a cool place. Woodsy has been there, and the place is awesome. It is. That makes my mouth water. That's right, it does. So we're going to be doing another meet and greet. Let's see. Sienna, what's going on in news? Well, the number of graves that may be affected in the mix-ups at the Arlington National Cemetery grew to as many as 6,600 yesterday. They started off saying that these unmarked or mislabeled cemetery... graves were as many as 211. Now it's up in the 6,000 range. So they're going to have some explaining to do and some figuring out for sure. Also, the fire in Kern County, they're doing a lot better. Firefighters are gaining ground and they're saying that hopefully the West Fire will be fully contained by today. Perfect. And Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, the Phillies have traded for another ace. They've now added Roy Oswald to their staff, so Halliday and Oswald's pretty formidable if they can make the playoffs. They're a few games out right now, I believe. And Albert Hainsworth, who plays for the Washington Redskins, you guys may remember he was crying. He wanted to trade. He didn't want to play. Well, he finally showed up, and he has now failed two straight conditioning tests. Are you kidding me? Yeah, he's about 700 pounds. Oh, no. He needs to get down.
You don't want to get in the Mike Shanahan doghouse. He's already there. He's been there for a while, so who knows what's going to happen with his clown butt. Tonight's 8 o'clock album, Bruce Springsteen, The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle. That's tonight here on FM 94.9. All right. Ten movies you'll force your kids to watch someday. And these are movies, obviously, that are appropriate for kids. Star Wars. No. No? Really? Wizard of Oz. Nope. Holy Wonka. Nope. None of these? E.T. E.T. on the list. Phone home. Some of these you guys are going to be like, what? Is it all Disney then? No. Big? Nope. Debbie Does Dallas. Nope. Home. An American Tale. Nope. Land Before Time. Nope. Clan of the Cave Bear? Yes, no. Caddyshack. No. Come on. Caddyshack. Yes. My kids will be forced to watch it. Fletch. No. Beverly Hills Cop. You know what I bet they are? Why don't you just tell us the name of the movie? I bet there's got to be more Steven Spielberg stuff. No. No? I mean, there's... The Nightmare Before Christmas. Yeah, you just read the list. Raiders of the Lost Ark. E.T., The Nightmare Before Christmas. I've never even heard of this. Princess Mononoke?
The Dark Crystal. Stop looking at the list. Princess Bride. The Dark Crystal. Yes, Princess Bride is on there. The Never Ending Story. Never seen Princess Bride. Stop it, what? My name is Antica Montoya. You killed my father, now prepare to die. Yeah, Princess Bride's on there. Gremlins, Labyrinth, The Goonies. Oh, Labyrinth. Greetings, greetings. Labyrinth lovers. And it says, quote, anything by Pixar. Yeah. Really? Like Up. Let's do the real list now. Yeah. Some of those were good. Goonies, Gremlins. Labyrinth, come on. David Bowie. That movie's fantastic. Yeah. Movies I want my kid to see. I would want my kid to see Star Wars. I think Star Wars is like a timeless, like, you gotta see. The Sandlot. Oh, yeah. Sandlot. Mikey's like, what is that? Goonies is definitely one. And Stand By Me. Stand By Me. Caddyshack. For sure, Caddyshack. The Wizard of Oz should be on there. Yeah, although it's kind of scary. I want the classics, the Little Mermaid. It's the Chevy Chase Vacation. Christmas Vacation. Christmas Vacation. And a Christmas story, but I guess not everybody celebrates Christmas.
I haven't seen any of those vacations other than the first one. What? Other than the first one. You're a weird dude. You're telling me the other ones are good? Yes. Christmas vacation is probably the best one. Every Christmas we watch it. Have you never seen Christmas vacation? I thought that the standard rule was the only good vacation was vacation. No. European vacation. Brilliant. Vegas vacation? Brilliant. Not so much. Not so much. Not so much. I wasn't mad at it, though. I wasn't mad at it. I'll still watch it if it's on TV. Yeah. It's on the plane. I'm like, ooh. What kind of plane would that movie be on? Going to Vegas. Delta? Really? Going to Vegas. It's not enough time. Hey, this was kind of interesting. Lauren was saying, wouldn't it be cool? If there was a gauge on people where you could tell if what they were saying was really the deal. Now, here's what she means. So she's standing in line. She's got to go pee. And there's a woman in front of her. No, behind me. Behind you.
Trying to get in front of me. Trying to get in front of you. And she gives you her sob story. Oh, my gosh. I should be so bad. And she's doing, like, the pee-pee dance. And I'm like, yeah, so do I. That's why I'm standing here. Right. No, I have to go so bad. You don't understand. And in my head, a little thought bubble, I'm like, I wish I could. I bet I have to go worse than her. I wish I could see, actually, how bad she had to go. Yeah. Like a gas gauge, maybe. Like a gas gauge. Yeah. This would be the same situation. I'm sure that my wife wishes that she had the gauge for when I'm like, oh my gosh, babe, I am in so much pain. You guys would be at the one point with your pain. I've often thought, what would it be like if right now I could snap my fingers and I can feel what you're actually complaining about right now? When somebody goes, it's the worst pain I've ever had in my life and you're like, really? What if your nose grew? And you said lies. You were Facebook statusing last night that you went to this movie. So I'm just like, really? I mean. I used to get that bit a lot when I was a recruiter and I had a team. Yeah. They would be posting like the night before about how they've been out. And we're going to go out with my girls. And then it would be the call in sick the next day. Right. Sick or you hungover? I want to know how sick you are.
Actually, I want to know how drunk you got. I want to gauge on Mikey to find out how mad he is at me right now. I am not mad at you. That's coming off the top of his bald head. Once he pranked Mike pretty good earlier, if you missed it, check out the podcast. I'm not mad at him. An SEX gauge? How many partners stamped on your head? Yeah, it's like I need it. You can tell how bad I need it. No! Look, my gauge is off the chart. Oh, I was thinking how many. That's creepy. Exactly. How come your gauge is down? What if you met a girl? What'd you do today? What would women do if the amount of men that they'd been with was on their forehead? Never give them a hug. We would like probably spontaneously combust if we saw some of the guy's numbers on their head. Oh, absolutely. No guy would ever be able to date again. 643. Yeah. Wow. Surely that's a typo. Yeah. Well, dude, if you... See, that's the thing, too. We've talked about this before with women. No guy believes girls. No girl believes guys. We all lie about the number. Girls undersell. Like, they've had way less. Guys way oversell. You're supposed to... What is the bit? You divide a man's in half and you multiply a woman's by two.
Yeah, that's the bet. The real number. Yeah. Divide the man's in half and then multiply the women's by two. So you say 50. In reality, it's only 25. Yeah. Girl says three. It's six. Maybe even 18. Maybe 18. This is... Very uncomfortable conversation. Yeah. Conversation, this is not good. Don't have it. Don't have it. Ignorance is bliss. What about all this... Get stuff off your chest, bitch. Hey, everybody, we're all going to get laid. The past is the past. Right. Weren't you guys all just saying you need to tell the truth and all that bit? As it pertains to that person. But, Lauren, what if you met somebody that, you know. You didn't know they were a trash D back in the day and they lied to you? We would go into the clinic together. I would watch them get their tests. That's before Woods. It's not during the relationship. In that case, ignorance is bliss. Yes. You're not making love to somebody asking them how many partners they had. You're not? No. So I guess ignorance is bliss. Worst foreplay ever. By the way.
From AskMen.com, speaking of sex, from AskMen.com, have you ever insincerely told a woman that you love her in order to get sex? Wow. Check. Now. Really? Wow. Check. Really? Check. Is that all it takes for some girls? Check. A lot of guys are a check on that, I'm sure. Now, hang on. Now, here are the answers that were given. No, I never would. And what I want to ask you guys is, which do you think had the highest percentage? The question was, have you ever insincerely told a woman that you love her in order to get sex? You're going to answer, which do you think was the highest percentage? No, I never would. Or, no, but I'd consider it. Yes, but I wouldn't do it again. Or, yes, and I will continue to do so. What did men answer the most? What was the highest percentage? Of those. Again, the question, have you ever insincerely told a woman that you love her in order to get sex? Sienna? Yes, but I'd never do it again. Yes, but I'd never do it again. Woodsy? No, but I consider it. I agree. No, but I consider it. Jay? Yes, but I'd never do it again. You are all wrong. You are all wrong. The highest percentage was 62% of men said no. Liars. Liars. And I never would. Liars.
These guys need to be hooked up to a lie detecting test. Yeah, we need a lie meter on those guys. Well, let's think about it in practical and real terms. Guys do a lot of things to get sex. But saying I love you to a girl is sinking the anchor. I feel like that's something maybe a high school kid would do. But if you're kind of like in our age, that's a lot of work to put in. Yeah, high school for sure. Maybe the bit was, it wasn't I love you. It was I could see myself falling in love with you. Yeah, maybe that was. Now, that's different. That's way different. That's way more. Hey, gents, write that down. I would say that many men have probably done that. That was a bit of mine. I could see myself falling in love with you. How many kids do you? Oh, my God. This one will be interesting to you. Which breast size do you believe men prefer? Oh, wow. Oh, boy, this is going to be a flat-out lie. I know. You have a few choices. A cup, B cup, C cup, D cup, or breast size isn't important to me. This one's easy. A cup, B cup, C cup, D cup, or breast size isn't important to me. Sienna. Is it bad for me to say D cup?
Where's double D's on there? It doesn't go up to K. I'm just speaking from what I know. Woodsy? C-cup. You say C-cup. Yeah. I agree. C-cup. C-cup. Let's see. Jay Woodsy and Lauren are correct. Yes. The highest percentage was C-cup. Now, will you be surprised by what came next? Breast size doesn't matter. Breast size doesn't matter, yeah. You guys are right. Really? Breast size is not important. Nothing like a nice C cup, pal. Yeah! Do you know that one of the, uh, that the, well, the next highest after breast size doesn't matter was D cup, uh, followed by B cup, followed by A cup. It is interesting to note that a lot of... That makes my mouth water. I think it's... C because that's more of like the upper ballpark range. You know what I mean? Without sounding too greedy. Yeah. Without sounding too greedy. I think it is interesting to note that a lot of guys say it doesn't matter. Maybe they're butt guys.
They are all sizes. Jay and I had this conversation driving into work this morning. It doesn't matter. I like them all sizes. They don't have to be big. They're small. See, I have small breasts, so every guy has always told me that bit. It doesn't matter. Boobs are boobs. Well, wait a minute. Wait a minute. Doesn't that, I mean, I think that that would have to be true. If they were lying, would they really be your boyfriend if that was the deal? Yes. Yeah, I guess you're right. They would? Yes. Woodsy. I got all the other working parts. Exactly. Exactly. She just hit it on the head without getting too dirty. That's exactly what she means. See, but Woodsy is a fan of the boob job. Yeah. But, Woods, you're even a fan of the obvious boob job. 100%. So long as they're big, he is on board. I have a piece, don't I? I know, but don't you go, but that looks like phony. No, I'm all the way in. He told me I should make it right. Yeah, he did. Yeah, he did. The L.O.B., how about you make that right? My self-esteem shot through the roof. You make that right for yourself, okay? Don't listen to him. Don't listen to him because the next thing on here is breast size doesn't matter. I got LASIK. Best thing that ever happened to me, L.O.B. Go make it right for yourself. Maybe that's why you didn't mind the obviously fake ones. Your vision wasn't good before. You couldn't tell. Now I can. Still on board, by the way.
They asked that question to girls about guys' sizes. I'd really like to know those answers. I know it. Now, this is an interesting question for you. I know it, too. This is an interesting question for you. Oh, of course. Please. Please. Look at this lip sniggling. I know. She's red. I know. Now, here's the deal. At what point... You can't do percentages on this one. But the reason that it's interesting is just to hear what your answers will be. At what point does, and now these questions were asked of adult men on askmen.com. At what point does a woman become promiscuous in your view? At what point does a woman become promiscuous? Now, what I'm asking is the number. The number. I knew it. After how many partners, Woodsy, would you consider, I know, he's like, I'm damned if I do, I'm damned if I don't. No matter what, I sound like a jerk. Oh, boy. At what point, now this is what men answered. Askmen.com. At what point does a woman become sexually promiscuous? Lauren and I maybe shouldn't even have to answer this. 100% you do. I'm 35. So if I met another woman at 35. I thought that was your number. Oh, yeah. I was like, that's your number? Wait a minute. No, no, no. This doesn't have anything to do with, it's not saying.
You're talking about a 35-year-old woman. It's saying, what's your number for women that you put them in the category? It depends. It's a sliding scale. If she's 18 and she slept with 20 dudes, that's promiscuous. If she's 35 and slept with 20 dudes, not that bad. Okay. But let's say that you are asked the question the way that you're asked the question. So awkward. At what point does a woman become promiscuous? Are we given a range here? If she doubles her age. How about that? If she doubles her age. She's promiscuous. I would have to be 50, have 50 guys. That's very promiscuous, Sienna. Okay, but that means that 49, she's fine. Yeah, you're okay then. What? I'm 25. Give me a number, Woodsy. Dude. Wait a minute. Seriously, it's a sliding scale. We've got to have a range. Okay, let's say 30. I'm going to go right in the middle. Over 40 dudes is promiscuous.
Wow. Is that enough? I mean 20. I mean 20. I mean 20. I mean 20. I mean 20. That means... That means that if Woodsy met a girl and she was 30 and he's like, I need you to be really honest with me. How many men have you slept with? And she goes, 29. He goes... At least you're not promiscuous. Oh, my gosh. Well, and I don't. I mean, listen. I mean, I'm not. It's not to say that you go, well, 30 or 29. That is promiscuous, isn't it? I don't know. I don't actually know. I just think, hey, maybe now she knows what she's doing. I know this. That's why you should just never. I know this. I know this. If we asked the average woman, the average woman would go. Now, it wouldn't be true. Probably. Right. But they'd probably go three. Right? Doesn't the average woman always say this? What do you guys think? Ladies? Well, let's ask the other guy. Jay. Jay? I would say 20. That's what I said. I think 20 is more reasonable. Yeah. What did I say? 40? Yes. I just started averaging like one a year, but then I remember everybody didn't have sex. So I was thinking like 12 years. That's kind of a lot of dudes. But even then, I mean, I would say.
you know, if she told me her number, I wouldn't, I wouldn't go, oh my gosh, then we can't be together. I think I'm, I think I'm naive. I think I'm not, I'm a naive person. No, no, no. Now listen, take my, you guys know my beliefs. Right. You know, through my faith, I say, yeah, no sex till marriage. Uh, but let's rewind. Let's say I just jumped into DeLorean, got it up to 88 miles an hour. And I went back to, you know, the year 1999 when I was, you know, doing my thing. Yep. I think I would have said if a girl had sex with more than 10 dudes, I'd be like, whoa, you had sex with more than 10 dudes? Man, I think I would. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. I'm naive. I feel like I should be in, like, Sound of Music skipping through the fields with braids on. Like, that's how naive I am. Nobody photoshopped that, by the way. I kind of agree with you, Mike. I mean, I don't think it's that naive. You pure little sunshine girl. No, I mean, I'm not saying anything about anything. But I'm just saying that from people that I know, it's not that much more. That's not unreasonable, is it? I don't think that's unreasonable. Oh, my gosh. How many people do you girls be with? You are a smelly pirate hooker. Okay, it depends on the circumstance. Because I had a friend that was one for years and years and years.
Dated this guy for like seven years. Then they broke up, and she went on a bender. Woodsy. Everybody. What's that? I mean, she did. She was up to like 12 within a couple years. I know, but you guys, are you telling me? I'm telling you. Naive. I guess I'm naive. I didn't think girls had sex with 20, 30 guys. Come on. Woodsy. Come on. I'm telling you, dude. Even back in the day when I was doing my thing, if you had said to me, hey, Mike, how many girls do you think the average? How many guys do you think the average girl has had sex with? I'd be like, well, what are we talking here? Is this girl really out there, you know, getting the job done? I'd say, I don't know, probably 15. If she's like really doing the town up. People get married later now. So there's more activity that happens. Because back in the day, it was, you know. You're a lot. If you had three, you get married at twenty one, twenty two. And there goes your formative. If you had more than like one or two by the time you're twenty one. I mean, my whole time in the bars and a lot of people like I met Todd when I was twenty one, you know? Well, here's the here's what this here's what the stats on ass men said. This is what guys this is what guys thought. Guys were like, well, thirty five percent of men said that if she sleeps with her tenth sex partner, she's promiscuous.
So that was the top. 34% of dudes said if she sleeps with 20 sex partners, she's promiscuous. 14% said when she sleeps with her 50th. Oh, wow. So I'm in the middle there. Do not go in there. And 3% of guys said if she sleeps with her... 100th. Oh, whoa. 3% of guys said that if she sleeps with her 100th sex partner, she's promiscuous. Which, who are those three dudes? Who are those three dudes? Those are dudes that have really high numbers. They got high numbers. Those are bark moments of the word. Oh, my goodness. M1 Denise from Ramona. Are you there? I am. Good morning. Good morning. Okay, I have two questions. Okay. So one of them is... Well, actually, one's not really a question. One's a statement. If you take 50 girls, only maybe 15 to 20 of them are actually actively having sex, say, ages from 18 to 26. So if the guys are having sex with a lot of different partners, then obviously it's the same girls, you know, not that particular group, but not all girls are out there having sex. And then my other thing is, another question, if the girl said she's had 20 partners,
Do you look at her and go, OK, well, I have to up her because now she's had more than me. I've only had 10. So I'm going to say I had 30. I don't think that. No, I don't think that a guy would do that. No, I don't think so. You don't think he'd be like, OK, well, if I have to be honest and tell you now, I don't want you to be, you know, with more than me. I want you to think I've had more girls. Maybe I go against convention. And again, I'm going back to the old days, the old Mike. Yeah. I didn't want to tell girls. a high number you know there's no right answer that's why this question should never be asked yeah that you should never ask no i mean no matter what your number is it's not what the person's private thinking that they're gonna hear you know well then i you know what i would be on board with is you go hey listen i'm not gonna get into your business i don't want to know how many people that you've slayed however I think that it's appropriate before we move on to the next level that you do. No way. And I will too. I'll get tested. You get tested. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Get tested. I thought you meant to have a convo about that. No. I don't need to know your number. That's fine. But I tell you what we do is we go down to the clinic and we have ourselves a... You absolutely do. Right? Yeah. Don't tell the numbers. Just carry a file with you. Before you decide to go out there all loosey-goosey. Yeah. You get the test. I think that that is appropriate.
That was so uncomfortable. I don't even know what to say. It was? Yes. I was like, how do you respond to the question like that? I'm going to walk into a buzzsaw when I get home. Thanks very much. You are? Yes. You didn't come to me, so we're just going to skirt by that one. Hello, B? What? You just asked for it, Lauren. How many? What is the number? What number do you believe would make a woman? Promiscuous. You can't handle the truth. Jay said it best. You can't handle the truth. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. 570-1949. We're going to be out at the Tipsy Crow on August 13th. It's going to be really good. Be out there from 5 to 7. Come out there and join us. It is 21 and up. Tipsy Crow asked us to come out. We want to do it. We're going to do it. And, again, it's a 21 and up thing. And don't worry. We're going to have plenty of all-ages stuff that we're going to be doing. But just wanted to let you know that we're going to be doing the Tipsy Crow for our next meet and greet. And it's going to be a lot of fun. Lauren said something. I thought was pretty funny in a recap. She was talking about how she really gets anxiety whenever she's out doing anything on the beach or whatever. When somebody's playing volleyball or frisbee or they're kicking around a soccer ball or whatever. And they kick it and it comes at her. Right? And one of the things that she was saying about it is that obviously the polite thing to do. is to kick it back. Throw it back, roll it back. Kick it back, throw it back. Exactly what I said, as a matter of fact. Yeah. She said that her anxiety comes from the fact that she feels like she's going to choke. And I read it and I died laughing because I'm like, so I'm not the only one that feels this way. Now, Woodsy didn't feel that way because Woodsy's athletic. If something comes flying at him, he's like, I got this. If it comes flying at me, if it comes flying at me, I'm like...
Rebecca, throw that back. Yeah. Well, I'm fairly athletic, but I still choke. Yeah. Choke artist. So do you go to, like, kick the ball and you miss the ball? Oh, whiff it and then fall and be like, ah! Oh, my gosh. Please tell me you haven't fallen. That was an exaggeration. It wouldn't be for me. I would definitely fall. Mike. They'd be like, hey. It's okay. We'll get it. We'll get it. Take a running start. Don't worry about it. Pull your hamstring. Sit back down, please. Hey, dude, there's a Wienerschnitzel right up there, bro. Don't even worry about it. It's like a Dunkin' Donuts kind of guy. Yeah, go get a Dunkin' Donuts, bro. It's all good. We got it. We got it. We got it. But I thought, oh my gosh, it's so great. The anxiety. Oh my gosh. First of all, I would never have to really deal with the anxiety of running on the beach. But the thing getting kicked at me, yeah. Might go through that. Yeah. So Woodsy and his wife are going through with the adoption process. Talk to the adoption company. When did you guys, has more happened? Yeah, we are writing the check today. Are you really? Oh, wow, really? Exciting. That is awesome. On the horizon, my friend.
So what will be the next step? The next step is we need to get scheduled, and we'll get that information from him today who he would recommend. But we're going to use a home study. We have to get a home study completed. And basically what we're going to be doing the next couple weeks is we have to write a letter and get a lot of pictures and stuff taken and together. And they basically will send these kind of portfolios out to people that we're a good match for. That's awesome. And they'll have five or six people to choose from if they pick us. We actually will have a phone conversation with the birth mother. which is going to be just insane to me. You know what I mean? And then if everything moves forward, we hire an attorney and we get it done and we can even go for the baby's birth. There you go. That's so awesome. Excuse me, Woods. Hi. Don't you think you want a surrogate mother? Susanna, you know, even if that happened, you know, even if he did want a surrogate. I think I would be an exceptional candidate for a surrogate. I understand that. I understand that. And I do, too. I mean, there's no doubt about it. But just so you know, the surrogate means that you would be carrying the baby. I know that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So we wouldn't actually. Yeah. Right. We could, though. No, no, no, no, no. I couldn't because of this little guy right there. He's married. That little ring. But I think.
An exception could be me. Yeah, I don't know. You know, as much as my wife wants a child, I don't think she would conceive that. Okay, we'll crash that bridge when we come to it. But seriously, I think that I would be... It's hard to understand why you take your... I can't take your thing out. Take your... Sorry. Yeah, sorry. I'm just saying. There you go. I think I would be an exceptional kid. I'm young. I'm an intelligent. You are. That's true. I have a sense of humor. Yes. Similar to Woods's. That's true. That's true. The only thing... Yeah, is it really similar? Yeah, he's married. That's what she said. Yeah, that is actually what she said. That is what she said. See? That's the thing. Comedic timing. Yeah, it's good. Go ahead. Put your retainer back in, Susanna. That's disgusting. Sorry. Yeah, it's okay. I haven't been in the studio for a while, so. You know what's interesting, Susanna, is that you're not even really a surrogate. So the fact that you would be offering to be a surrogate, isn't that a little unusual? You don't just wake up one day and say, hey, I'm a surrogate. I know, but that's what you did. That's what you just did. No, because you see. You woke up today and said that you would be a surrogate. Well, I woke up several times last night and I was like, how can I make life better for once? Oh, really? So, I'm just saying, you see a friend in need and you're like, hey, maybe we slay. I mean. Hey, maybe we slay. I mean.
Hey, maybe I make things okay. Yeah, yeah. Maybe that's the weirdest thing I've ever heard from a human being. Anyway, the offer is on the table, Woods. Yeah, I'm going to have to pass. Yeah. Respectfully. I sleep on it. Yeah. Respectfully, I'm going to have to pass. Just think about it. Yeah. And the part about just sleep on it's weird, too. Yeah. That part of it got weird. A little weird. Sienna was at Petco watching the Padre Dodger game. Yeah. And this kid was sitting behind her. Takes a while for it to go. How old was this kid, by the way? He was probably eight years old sitting right behind us. I turned on my iPhone recorder. It gets worse. Dodger fan. Yeah. Everyone's yelling Padres, but he has to yell Dodgers. Over and over. It gets better. Gosh, let me go to a different seat. I want to go to a different seat. It gets worse. He stops for a minute. You can hear Todd, too. Is that a boo? Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Is that Todd? It's me and Todd laughing. Oh, my God. I can't imagine anything worse. You go, hey, little guy. Maybe I'll give you three minutes to leave. Okay.
I didn't have my recorder that I normally use with me, so I was like, okay, I've got to record this. This kid had a harmonica with him. It's not in there because I just ran it. Yeah. And I was like... Great. And not only was he yelling out Dodgers players, like, strike him out! And he was saying the player's names wrong. And so his mom was like, no, honey, and correcting him of the correct names. When really, this kid was right behind me. Really, I wanted to turn around and be like, okay, how about you tell your kid to be quiet? If that guy was 10 years older, he would have gotten his butt kicked. Oh, because what do you do? You can't turn around and be like, hey, kid. Yeah, you can. Hey, kid, baby, kid. Zip it. He was direct. And not only that, but he kept kicking my chair, too, because he was right behind me. And I'm like, that I would. Pregnant woman, dude. Do not mess with. Yeah, we sat at that seat for no more than five minutes before we went to the bar. Of course. Is there anything worse than being at a ball game and somebody around there is driving you nuts? How many dirty looks did Sienna probably get being eight months pregnant at the bar? Oh, yeah.
Well, obviously I was drinking a water bottle, so it was very clear. You know there was people that were like, do you see this? Oh, no, just walking around the ballpark, people were looking at me like, oh, my gosh, what are you doing? What is wrong with you? I'm going to need a double. You should be barefoot at home. Are people ever judgmental in California? Anywhere. They were looking at Todd, too, like, how dare you make her come to this game? So, Woodsy, are you telling me that in Texas it would be totally... Really? To walk into a bar and be like, hey. We're used to it. Well, the only difference is she'd have a kid on one hip and a Budweiser in the other. You get dirty looks here for having the wrong license plate. All right, pal, that's all I'm saying. That girl's pregnant. Get her a koozie. Don't let that thing get cold. Get her a chair so she can sit down and drink that beer. We didn't stay long. We left in like the fifth inning, but oh, it was bad. People ever stick their nose where it doesn't belong? Anywhere. America. Hey, listen. You realize that doctors will tell you that it's okay if a woman is pregnant. It's okay every once in a while if she has a glass of wine. Right.
It isn't, you know, like people freak out when they hear that. But every once in a while, it's okay. I was drinking a Dasani water bottle. And she wouldn't do it anyway. She wouldn't do it anyway. 20 years ago, it was acceptable to have whatever you wanted. Yeah, yeah. And it's not. I mean, they figured out that it's not. But they've also figured out that having a glass of wine is good for you. Every once in a while is not going to hurt you. It's good for the circulation. Good for the circulation. Flavinoids. That's right. It's like, what am I supposed to do? Just sit at home, though? Like, why is it so bad that I was out there? You should be out and about. Yeah, of course. Gravity. Gravity. That baby going. Hey, listen. You're the one that's going to be the one that says, I can't do this anymore. I mean, it was a little rough, but I did it. Took one for the team. You love your man. And it was fun. I had a good time. Let's do some radio charades. Yes. 570-1949. Call us right now if you want to play radio charades. I will be. Your eyes. I'm going to be your eyes. And Woodsy and Sienna and Lauren are going to act something out for you. It's very easy. We will be your dancing monkeys. We have tickets to see Spoon Friday, October 1st at Soma. There you go. How about you not put Toy Story in the mix this time? How about that's impossible to act out? Look, I did it. Did you? No one figured it out. You don't succeed.
Maybe not put Armageddon in there. How about you not put Sherlock Holmes this time? Don't put Dave. Yeah, Dave. Christine. How about, what about Bob? What about Bob? What about Bob? Jay has taken so much harassment from us. Yeah, he has. So much harassment from us about the names. Finding Forrester. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A little rough talking, dude. Not from X. I'll come out here and rough talk him and run him off. What's the matter with searching for Bobby Fischer? You guys know how to mimic Bobby Fischer. Sucks. You guys, who doesn't know how to... I'm a forest. Look, it's a forest. I'm a tree. You see this? I'd be like, YMCA? I think he's doing the A from YMCA. I don't really know. Coneheads. Yeah, coneheads. All right, 570-1949. We got some players on the line. M1 Michael, are you there? Yes, I am.
All right, Michael. Michael's from Oceanside, and Woodsy is going to be... No, LLB first. LLB first. LLB is going to be your partner. Right now, Jay is going to tell her in her ear what the movie is. Remember, our charades are all movies. Look at her face. Do you hate it, LLB? Or can you do it? Wait, wait, wait. Sorry, sorry. Go ahead. Go ahead. The one that came up with this stupid idea, and I thought we vetoed it. All right. Well, let's see. Are you ready? Yep. All right, you got 60 seconds. I'm going to be your eyes, Michael. And so as soon as you know it, you need to let me know, okay? Okay. All right, here we go. Go ahead. Two words. Second word. She's flying. She's got wings. She's flying in a circular motion. She's got a gun. She's looking like a, she's dipping with the gun.
She's doing a dip with a gun. She's using Woods as a prop. Oh, now she's doing like a 007 back-to-back kind of looking thing with Woods. She's got a pistol in her hand. Flying. Flying. Flapping. Wings. Ah. She's making an ah-looking face. Ah. Like angelic, maybe. Angel. Angel. Angel is the word? Angel is the word. Angel is the word. Second word. Second word is angels. That was the second word. Second word is angels. It's two words. It's two words, the movie. Second word is angels, Michael. Okay. Michael, second word is angels. Second word is angels. She held up a gun finger. She held up a gun. Gun angels. I'm so high. I mean, oops. I mean that. I mean that. I mean that. Did I hear gun angels? Yes, you did say gun angels. It's hard. It's hard when you put it on the spot. Listen, I have to tell you, I don't know what these movies are, but I did figure it out when I heard that angels was the second word. I'm going to guess it was Charlie's Angels. Charlie's Angels. Charlie's Angels. I thought we took that one out because we decided you can't act out Charlie. You can't act out the word Charlie. As long as you can act out, I think, one of the main words, I think you can make it happen. Really? We figured it out. Sorry about that.
Sorry about that, Michael. Hi, Michael. M1 Scuff from San Diego. Are you ready to play? Oh, yeah. All right. I'm turning off the microphone so I can't hear. All right. Jay just... Go ahead. Did you just say it? Jay just walked in and pointed at Woods like, ha, ha, ha, ha. Like, this is going to be good. I have a feeling. You get pleasure in making us... Making it hard? ...dance around like idiots. Yeah. Woods, do you feel like you have this one? Yeah, I got it. Okay. You got 60 seconds. Here we go. Four words. The fourth word is, oh, I've got fangs. I've got teeth. Ooh, it must have been vampire teeth because vampire is the last word. Vampire is the fourth word. Now, the first word is, oh, I've got a microphone. It's like I'm interviewing you. I'm interviewing you. Very well done. Well done. Did you like this bit? Yes, he did it. I crossed my arms over my chest. He did a vampire in a coffin. Good job, Woods. Good job. That's right. That's right. Hang on the line. Let's see. Next up is M1 Rooster from San Diego. M1 Rooster, are you there? Yeah. All right. These are movies. Remember, these are movies.
And Sienna is going to be acting it out, and I will be your eyes. Are you ready? Oh, yeah, I get it. Ah, here we go. What is that? I got Sienna. You ready, Sienna? You're going to be sorry. That's right. She's going to kill it for you. Here we go. Two words. Second word is she's pointing to her chest, her breast, her chest, her boobs, her skin. Skin. She's pointing to her heart. Heart. Heart is the second word. Heart is the second word. First word now. Crazy. Oh, my gosh. She's going crazy. She's going crazy. Yes, that's the word. Crazy heart. There you go. Very. Suck on that one. Very good. Suck on that one. She feasts on that, okay? Suck on that. Very good. Go suck an A. Hey, listen. She just won for you, buddy. Hang on. Oh, my gosh.
Isn't it funny that when she pointed at her heart, I immediately thought it was boom. Chesticles, nipples. That's why I went to Woods next. Giant breasts. Well, I am giant breasts, too, so it's not that big a deal. Hands, fun bags. Look at the fun bags on that horse helmet. I'm like, no, underneath. Oh, my gosh. Your left one. That is fantastic. It doesn't matter. Let's see. Boob, boob. Sienna, do you have the movies that are coming out this weekend? Some of the new releases and the new movies that are coming out this weekend. I guarantee you there is nothing because I think I've heard the one that you like. Oh, boy. Yeah. What are you talking about? I know which one. It's going to be phenomenal. What's it called? Charlie St. Cloud. Yeah. You know why I don't want to see it? Zac Efron's in it. Well, yeah, that too. Who doesn't like Zac Efron? I don't like Zac Efron. Write that down. Well, here's the deal. I saw the clip of it, okay? It's gorgeous. He's gorgeous. In a world. The whole thing is gorgeous. Yeah, in a world where everyone cries. Tell everybody the plot, Sienna. It is going to make you cry. Yeah, I'm watching the trailer. I'm like...
Who wants to go to a movie where they know they're going to cry? We do. Zach, my buddy Zach, we're on a first name basis. He's driving with his little brother in the car, and he's the one driving, just the two of them. They get in a car accident. Yeah, listen to this feel-good comedy. Sounds great. They get in a car accident. His little brother dies. Really? Perfect. Really? I'm out already. I have a little brother. I'm out. I'm out. I'm out. I'm out. Get your popcorn ready. I don't know what that was, but... I didn't know if you were, like, playing the audio or not. Jay does his own drops in the mic now. Oh, God, Jay. Okay, some of them don't work, okay? Got all ready to be gold. Okay, so anyway, the little boy, he dies. Wait a minute, wait a minute. I have a sound effect for that. And so Zac Efron has to move on, but then he starts seeing his brother in the forest where they play baseball. And so it's, you know, he has to move past it. It looks... I think I'm going to go see it tonight. Ding dong. That's Jay's forest drop.
Okay, let's listen, you guys. It's so good. It's so good. Meteor. Every day at Sunset Cannons. Are you kidding? He's meeting him every day at the same time. It's emotional terrorism. I promise. He's crying. It's emotional terrorism. Listen, we saw the trailer for it when we went to see Inception. This was my wife at the end of the 30-second trailer. Rebecca, let's go see it because I'm excited. Take Jamie. Take Jamie. Take Jamie. Jamie, let's go. Take Jamie. Or I'm going to have to see it. We'll do the rest of the new releases when we come back. Cats and Dogs, The Revenge of Kitty Galore. Got it. Milo and Otis. I believe that it's... Yeah, it looks like it's Chris O'Donnell's voice, Christina Applegate's voice. It's a cartoon. At some point, my kids are going to go, can we go see this? Yep, you're toast. You're going to have to. Yeah. You start to like it, though. When you hear your kids laugh, you like it. Maybe that's it. Yeah, maybe. I love kids' movies. Yeah. Maybe if they're really having a great time. The kids love those movies, and they laugh out loud like, ha, ha, ha.
And you're just like, oh, they love it. Jackson's a blast. They sit there and eat candy and popcorn. Maybe they watch Caddyshack. Yeah, really? They won't think that's funny. Maybe they watch Terminator. Oh, Danny, that's exactly what I need. My brother did. He was five. He loved it. And the last big movie that comes out today, Dinner for Schmucks, and that's Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, Lucy Punch. What a dynamite cast. Well, I have heard bad things about that movie. Yeah, that's what we're saying. Very disappointing. Dynamite cast. They said Steve Carell is like the worst part of it. He's the worst part about it. Unwatchable. Is that reviews you've heard? Because I don't ever trust the reviews. They're like, this was not intelligently and blah, blah, blah. It's a review of a reviewer that I'm comfortable with. I don't believe it. I'm going to call it right now. Number one movie of the weekend. Zac Efron. Charlie St. Cloud. Probably. You're probably right. I never want to go see a movie right when it comes out and I want to go see this movie. That means teenage girls are already in line. Here's my question for you. You know you're going to cry. I like to cry. You like to cry. Yeah. Girls like it. Every once in a while, it's good. Doesn't it make you feel like, isn't it like throwing up? No, it's like sneezing. It's nothing like throwing up. Yes. Every once in a while, it feels good. You don't want to sneeze all day. Oh my gosh. No, it's like.
You feel relaxed and you feel like you just got so much off your chest after you cry. It's cathartic. You're like, oh, gosh, I could do anything right now. It sounds very sad. Yeah, it does. I think everyone should cry at least a couple times a week. You do? Yeah. Wow. That would be like saying everyone should throw up a couple of times a week. No. Everyone should sneeze a couple times a week. Get it out there. Wow. Clean it up. Maybe I bring the recorder. You should. And I'll be like. Oh my gosh. You should. It'll be hysterical. I will. I'll bring it. That'll be my wife. My wife cried at the last Dracula movie that everybody was crazy about. Twilight. New Moon. No Moon? No, not New Moon. No. Eclipse. Escalade. Escalade. Escape. Yeah, Twilight Escalade. Escape. Twilight Escape. Escort. Right. Crying is good for you. Blah. Blah. I think this weekend it's going to be nice. Sabrina, our weather girl, is here. Oh, yeah. Say it, don't spray it, Woods. We asked for the news, not the weather. No, we actually asked you for the weather, but you weren't prepared. Did we? Did we? Did we? Sabrina, the weather girl? Yeah, I'm totally PO'd, Mike. Why? Because it's not even going to be 70 this weekend. Well, see, color me embarrassed. I thought it was going to be 70. It's not. According to this...
very sophisticated site that you sent me to, weather.com. It's weather.com. Did it get any more generic than that? Well, I mean, it's easy to find, isn't it? What, do you go to mikeyshow.com to get your bits or what? Well, yes, actually. Well, we post some bits up there. We post our bits, yeah. You go to funnythings.com to get your bits. That's a good one. I'm going to write funnythings.com down. That actually sounds kind of good. Boringmaterial.com to get your bits. I wouldn't go there. I wouldn't want to go there. Oh, haven't you? Wow. I'll take it you're not a fan of our program. Anyway. She's just not a fan of getting up and having to be here. Having a job, working. And I am, by the way, I hope you're cool with this. I put some time off already. What? You put in for some time. I put in for some time. I need a summer vacation. I'm going to Nova Scotia. You're going to Nova Scotia? It's got to be warmer than this place. This is seriously depressing me. You've already put in for a vacation. You've worked a total of four days. That's correct. Yeah. And you've already put in for a vacation. Captain call out. How much time do you want? I'm taking like two weeks. You're taking two weeks. That's what I'm allowed to have. You haven't even worked here for two weeks. You haven't even worked two weeks. You're going to take two weeks. Well, you know what? I'm not getting paid, so. I know, but this is a good experience for you. This is all.
Earning you credit at UCLA. Yep. It's not, actually. It isn't. It's earning me brownie points with Mike Booz. Okay, wait. Just so you know, we are in the Booz Allen Hamilton building here in downtown metropolitan area of Mission Valley. Yeah, this is BS. Yeah, and her dad, who's rich and an heir to the Ritz corporate. He's not an heir to the Ritz. He is the Ritz. He is the Ritz. Oh, wow. Yeah, his buddy Carlton, he took a backseat. Right. So, Ritz-Carlton Hotels. Yeah. That's who she comes from. Well, her dad apparently knows Mike Booz. Right. Yeah. Of Booz, Alan Hamilton. Booz owns this building. Right. Mike Booz. And so he got her the job here. I don't even know how he had that influence. He owns a building. How did he get her into FMI? It wasn't so much as he got me the job. It's that he's making me do the job. He's been telling me since I was like a little girl, Sabrina, I need to get your act together. You can't just live off daddy's money. Like all his kids. Yeah. They have to pay for like their own gas and stuff like that. It's ridiculous. You don't have to pay for your own gas. Such a hard ass. So wait a minute. You don't have to pay for your own gas? No. First of all, I get driven everywhere. You do? Yeah. So you don't even drive here today? I have cars. Cars are there for fun. Like when I feel like doing something fun when I'm bored. Right. Okay. But if I need to get somewhere for transportation, I get driven. What is your driver's name? Maurice. Maurice. Okay.
And so do you have a good relationship with Maurice? Yeah, I call him Moe when I'm feeling sassy. But he knows his place. He knows what to do. How many times do you think she's asked Moe to go through In-N-Out for her? Ew. Yeah, probably none. You wouldn't eat In-N-Out? No, we go to places like Jamba Juice and they get wheatgrass shops. So you'll say Moe. B-Pollen. Can you go to B-Pollen? Can you go to Jamba for me so I can get... Yeah, JJ. He knows. JJ. JJ in the TTL, which is the TomTom lady. Right. So you say punch JJ into the TTL. Yeah. I say pop it in. You know that she makes Jay crazy. He can't stand her. Oh, I know. He's made it real obvious. Yeah, Jay. By the way, I'm totes my goats. Going to be friends with your daughter on Facebook. No, you are not. We are FB friends. Nothing in common. We are. Your FB friends? Jay Isabel likes this. Jay, they're like the same age. Tonight's 8 o'clock album, by the way. is Bruce Springsteen, The Wild, The Innocent, and The E Street Shuffle. That is tonight. Tonight's 8 o'clock album. It's going to be good. Make sure you're listening. Let's see. You give us a call, too. 570-1949 is our number. What was the deal with what they found at the campus of UCSD? A rope that was tied to resemble a noose. Again? Was found in a campus stairwell at UCSD, yeah.
This has happened a few times. The first time it happened was in February. And now they just found it again in Mandeville Hall. And they don't have any witnesses. They're hoping to find it, but they don't find people to come forward. That's brutal. Yeah. The one in February, a student did come forward and was suspended. So they don't know who's doing it now or what's going on. That's ridiculous. Yeah. Where did you get the thing? that you were telling me about right now, where did that come from? Okay, now let me, this was just posted like breaking news, but I can't believe it enough to say this is legit. Yeah. But I'll just let you know, because this is what I'm seeing, is that Cara, we announced earlier this morning, Ellen DeGeneres will not be returning as a judge on American Idol. Cara DiRiguardi, who no one really cares about, apparently has just been fired. And now they're going back to a three-judge panel of Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler. Wow. If somebody would have asked me three years ago, hey, listen, pick the one judge that you think will be left on this show after three years. Randy Jackson would not have been my choice. I know. He's got really anything else going on. Listen, he's a guy that survived all of it. Yeah. He survived because he had nothing else going on, probably. He flies real low under the radar. Again, I just want to over-emphasize.
I don't know if this is legit and we never talk about stuff like that, but it seemed pretty crazy that I'm seeing it all over the place. Right. Well, now it's time for me to throw out every Aerosmith record I have. Thanks very much, Steven Tyler. What? You used to be a good band, and now you are not. Now you're a judge on American Idol. I'm kind of on board with Jennifer Lopez, though. Yeah, that one makes sense. Steven Tyler. He put out Toys in the Attic, and now he's doing this. Maybe he likes up-and-coming singers. Yeah, I bet. Maybe he's crazy. Why'd you ever get rid of Paula? Man. Yeah. I liked her. Yeah. Hey, listen. Sure added a little zest to the show, didn't it? She was kind of nodding off. Maybe he just don't want to miss a thing. Wow. Dream on. I guess he's back in the saddle again. I said crazy and you guys know it got it. I was like, uh-oh. What's another one? What's another one? It's really amazing. It's such a sweet emotion to just be swept away. You know, that dude looks like a lady. He does. Have you guys ever had love in an elevator? A couple times. Very nice. She actually thought you were asking the question. That's nice. You're just like a rag doll over there. Oh, wow. Here's a clip of Jennifer Lopez, I guess, earlier this summer, being asked if she would replace Simon Cowell. Would you ever come in and fill Simon's shoes? I don't know.
And I know they were like, hey, $45 million, Jennifer. Come on. Well, that's hard to say no to. I don't know if they'll ever come with that. But that would be a yes. $45 million? Yeah. Jeez. That's what he made a thing. Come on. Yeah. A lot of money. Well, we'll see. Troy Aikman might be doing Dancing with the Stars. That's a shame, dude. Is that for real or is that a bit? I don't know. For real? That's a shame. Let's take a listen. Hey, Troy. Will you be doing Dancing with the Stars anytime soon? Yeah. Give it a round. I am. Yeah, next year. Oh, beautiful, beautiful. Are you really? Yeah. Troy Aikman. Really? I wonder if he was being sarcastic. Well, Emmett Smith did it. That's true. Chad Ochocinco did it. Chad Ochocinco, Jerry Rice. Troy Aikman is white. Probably don't have the kind of rhythm you're thinking, right? Maybe he does. Maybe he does. I sure hope not. I hope the white coalition doesn't come after me saying that was a really racist thing to say, Mike. They may. I started it. I'll take the fall. White man can't jump. I don't know. We'll see. Maybe you could dance. If you're athletic, I think you could dance. I remember my PE teacher, because we, like three years of like line dancing and all that, and he always used to say, and caveat it, square dancing, the whole bit, he would say like, you know who can dance? Athletes can dance. It takes coordination, it takes agility, and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So if you can't dance, then that means, so it was like his way to get us to be like, yeah.
I'm going to freaking dance. I went to school in Texas, and we didn't even line dance or square dance in gym. I know a lot of line dances. Oh, my God. I did some salsa dancing in PE once. In Spain, though. No, it was in La Jolla. We had a week of salsa. Yeah, I had a week of salsa. Totally different. It was totally different. That was good. Is there anything better than? Is there anything better than getting back to your own bed with clean sheets? That's pretty good. That's pretty nice, isn't it? I had it yesterday. Yeah. When I got home. That's real good when you got that. Phenomenal. Anything better than a pair of new socks? Yeah, a lot. No. You're not a fan of the new socks? I don't wear socks. Just put them on your feet. You don't ever wear socks? I mean, unless I absolutely have to. Ew, stinky. What about when you pee in the eggs? No, no socks. What? Oh, gross. Oh, gross. For real? Yeah. Oh, my gosh. They don't stink at all. Of course not. Why wouldn't they? They don't. I'll bring them in. I'd like to ask your wife if they don't stink. Dude, I don't wear... I never wear socks. Maybe she gets them. I wear flip-flops. I live in Southern California. Socks are so comfortable. Nah. Yeah. And they keep your feet from stinking when you're working out. Socks don't stink? Yeah, they do, but you wash them. Yeah, and they help the shoes. I wash my tennis shoes. You do? You wash your tennis shoes? Yeah, but how often?
Whenever, if they start to smell. Socks are per-use. You can all get, first of all, right now. This is weird. This is, like, not a human thing that you do. A lot of dudes don't wear socks. Yeah, and a lot of shoes stink. What? Yeah, but those dudes are in Turkish prisons. Yeah. So should I be wearing socks with my flip-flops? No. Why? Because they're open. But wait, won't my flip-flops stink? It's convertible. Your feet are breathing and it's made out of a different material. Yeah. Not cloth. You guys just perfect? How about this? Anything better than the smell of a Christmas tree in a fireplace? Now that I will get with for sure. Some eggnog. Feels like Christmas with this weather. It does. I love it. Anything better than a tax refund check in your mailbox? Oh, mama. I get the direct deposit right in the bank. All of a sudden you're like, what happened here? Oh, there it is. I'm not mad at it. Is there anything better? than here in this week one of the regular season. Yeah. When you hear that, doesn't that just take you to a time of the year? It makes me want to sit on the couch all weekend. Yes. All weekend. You hear that and you're like, couch. Yep. Nachos. Yes. It's like the one time a year. I don't feel bad about being inside. Yeah.
Not doing anything. Jay probably doesn't feel that way. What is this music? I don't even know what this is. Is that the start of the X game? Is that Beethoven? Yeah, is that Beethoven? Sounds familiar. I'm telling you, to me, that is a paper plate with some kind of sandwich on it. Yep. And chips and a blanket and the couch. Yeah, I can't wait, dude. And the Chargers and watching some football. Oh, my. By the way, the X Games is this weekend. You said that, yeah. It starts this weekend in LA. There you go, Jay. Jay's competing in the X Games. Yeah. That's where he's going. Yeah, I gotta get there. Is there anything better than a sandwich the day after Thanksgiving? I like the afternoon of Thanksgiving, a fresh turkey sandwich. You go back for more? Oh, my gosh. You go back for more? I don't eat a big meal so I can have the sandwich. And we have Thanksgiving. This is just my dad's family. They're like, you're eating again? We just ate. I'm like, I don't gorge myself so that I can eat a sandwich. Thanksgiving. I call that bowl talk for a one-eyed fat man. You go back late night, though. Oh, yeah. I eat all day. We have Thanksgiving so early, I go back. Really? 100%. Yeah, we have Thanksgiving at like.
Noon? Three. Oh, ours is like noon. Ours is, yeah, like noon one. Really? Yeah, so by 7 o'clock, I'm opening up little plastic containers. Dinner time, dude. Sandwich time. Dipping in there. Taking a fork right to it. Real good. Sorry, we like to eat. Are you kidding? I've never in my 29, sorry, 28. 29. No, but I've only had 28 Thanksgivings. Fair enough. Never in my 28 Thanksgivings ever had, like, seconds. When do you eat? Never gone back. Five at the earliest. See, that's late. That's dinner. Yeah, but then you eat before breakfast. Yeah, I eat other stuff. See, we don't. It all balances out. We eat like, bam, Thanksgiving. I wake up. I roll out of bed. I go down, throw a football on, feast, go back, fall asleep, wake up, make a sandwich, fall asleep, go back, feast, fall asleep again. Oh, man. After I eat that Thanksgiving dinner, I push myself away from the table, and I don't want to see it. I don't even want to look at it. I'm imagining. I'm imagining. that Lauren O'Brien's plate is probably the smallest Thanksgiving plate. No. It's a salad plate. I imagine a plate with a piece of white meat turkey with the skin taken off of it. No skin. That you're right on. One piece. Yeah. No. Two.
No. Two. One green bean that's been wiped clean with a paper towel. It's been wiped clean with a paper towel. How dare you put butter on this? I feast on Thanksgiving. I gorge myself. Who's Thanksgiving? Where did you meet Thanksgiving? Where did you meet Thanksgiving? Oh, my gosh. He's playing basketball in my neighborhood. Oh, my gosh. That was good. You're like, hi, what's your name? I'm Thanksgiving, baby. What's your name? Feast on this. I love it. That is hysterical. This year, I want you to take a picture of your Thanksgiving. She's going to take a picture of her brothers and say that it's hers. No, I believe I might actually have last year's. I will go look for that.
You have a picture of it? That's freaking weird. Describe your picture. Every day. So gross. Every day Lauren says how weird she thinks it is of people that take pictures of their food. I know. But I wouldn't post it on Facebook. But I mean, I think I have it in front of me. I don't think I was like, like down by the plane. Posting next to it with my thumbs up. So. Oh, that's funny. So L.O.B. What a health nut. Because I do. I consider you very healthy. What does your Thanksgiving plate look like? What's on it? Everything. Okay, describe everything. Sorry, as I was sitting down, I hit the volume on my headphone button. All of a sudden, you were screaming at me. Everything. Everything. I go balls out on Thanksgiving. Can I say that on the radio? Yeah, you just say it. Describe it. Everything that's available, I try everything. Even if three people brought stuffing, I try every stuffing. Question. Dessert. Everything. Do you eat dessert? Yes. Favorite kind of dessert. I do not discriminate. Literally. The only thing... Hey, you know what happens when you put it on a tee. The only thing I will not eat... Something tells me you like dark meat. That's in life. Not on a plate. Yep.
Sweet. That's right. It's real sweet. Real sweetly. Oh, my God. Well, there you go. And tender. Oh, boy. You're a creep. And it has big hands and a soft touch. Gotcha. Hey, any of you guys got anything going on this weekend you want to promote? I've got a ball game. El Cajon High 930. It's a must win. And it is M1 podcast birthday today. Of course, he won't hear happy birthday for a month, but happy birthday anyway. We love you, Jerry. We love you, Jerry. Thanksgiving morning, you're going to read on Facebook page. Thank you, guys. It's really awesome. And you should get out to the X Games if you can in downtown L.A. Maybe not. Yeah, it's fun. Go see Charlie St. Cloud. I'll be there. Great. I will not. What do you got going on? I will be, well, it's not going to be until November that I get to go see the So You Think You Can Dance over at the sports arena. Good husband. Your good husband. And my wife asked if I would take her to. You should. So you think you can dance. Maybe you can take my wife and we go to a ball game. There you go. End of the show on Friday. I tell you my story.
And I tell you because hopefully in my story you hear some of yours and it will help you. That's why I tell you. Some people, in fact, I don't get them very often, but every once in a while somebody will write me an email and they don't understand it. And that's all right. The reason I do it, and by the way, I'm not doing it for my jollies because it isn't always easy to do. Sometimes it's easier than others. But it's not always easy to tell you the story. The reason is because... A good friend of mine, CB, said, you know, the deeper you go is how deeply you'll affect people. So I tell you, when I was a kid, I was sexually abused. I tell you that story because there are so many people that are listening right now this very second. The same thing happened to them, but they don't talk about it. The reason that I tell you is because of the person that it created. Created a person that was very ashamed of themselves without even really realizing it. I didn't even realize it. All I know is I had low self-esteem all growing up.
All grown up believed lies about myself. I believed that I was worthless when I was growing up. I believed that I had nothing to contribute, nothing to offer. My entire life, I felt ugly. My entire life was spent trying to fill a God-shaped hole in my heart with everything you could possibly imagine. In my life, throughout the course of my life, I have been addicted to many, many things. And when I say that I've been addicted to many things, maybe you have too. I've been addicted to drugs. I've been addicted to alcohol. I've been addicted to porn. Which, by the way, if you feel that you have an issue with that, you go to MikeyShow.com. It'll take you to all these resources that you can get help with any of those things. In my life, I have experienced depression. And I've also experienced a sense of hopelessness. Meaning that...
As I looked to my future, I thought, I don't have anything to look forward to. In 2003, Jesus Christ entered my life. And when that happened, I realized that I have everything in the world to look forward to. That is my personal story. That happened to me. Nobody can take it away from me because it's true. It happened to me. It's my story. He offered me hope. that I never had ever before in my life. Without him in my life, I would be nowhere. Everything that I have today is because of him. My family, my boys, everything. Finding Jesus Christ in my life didn't change everything, meaning that I don't go through hard stuff. I still do. But the cool thing is, is that he is there with me the whole time. Have you ever heard this statement before? You ever heard people say, yeah, you know what, man? I think that's a crutch.
It is. A crutch helps you to stand up straight. Are in pain? If you are suffering? If you are in need of hope? That's why I tell you my story. Because he changed my life. Go to MikeyShow.com. M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. At the top of the page, there's a, it says help. You click there and it'll take you to all kinds of resources that are really cool that will help you if you have experienced any of those things that I've told you about. If you've gone through any of those, I encourage you to check it out. End of the show on Friday, I play a song for you that hopefully gives you encouragement. I play this song because to me, it's exactly where I was in my life when he got a hold of me. This is what I want to share with you. It doesn't matter where you are in your life. God can find you right where you are in your life, even if you're angry right now.
He can find you even there. Lovely and talented Hillary is coming up next. Have a great weekend, and we'll see you back here on Monday. We love you, M1 Nation. Mikey shows out late.
