Mikey remembers when he first asked his boss to have his own show after appearing on Howard Stern. Woods hates the sound of his voice on the radio, Lauren is her own worst critic, and to borrow a line from Cheap Trick; Mikey ‘Wants You to Want Him’. Jay goads Mikey into singing “Delta Dawn” for a donut. Do you have what it takes to be the next Boltman? A flight attendant went berserk after a snotty woman cussed him out and slammed his face with her luggage by berating the whole plane on the intercom with four letter words, grabbing some suds, and ejecting himself down the inflatable emergency slide! Woods talks about his experience as a Jerry Springer Show audience member. The Kid then gets roasted for quitting P90X due to an injury and he even admits to smoking while in New Orleans. Sienna misses eating Pop Tarts with Woods. The Saints go marching in to the White House on WoS. The panel opines on budding little girls, invasive car video recorders, and hotties not getting jobs for being too hot. Justin Bieber gets drilled in the head with a water bottle and Woods admits he once chucked a water bottle at Ozzy! Why Ozzy Woodsy? I can see if it was Kip Winger or someone like that, but Ozzy? Senor Beans announces his Animal Planet debut and worldwide pooping auditions. The definition of a mama’s boy is explained. Studio M is close to completion! Is Mikey a Mexican or Latino? Leave it to Cheech Marin to decide! Levi Johnston’s latest douchebaggery sparks a debate. Mel Gibson’s old man has some inflammatory rhetoric for the Vatican and calls the Pope a queer! Hoyle comes by to explain his “borrowing” of LOB’s desk and his sugar free jelly mints. The gang debates an email about being left out of a family will. Sabrina tells Mikey and the boys what she thinks of the Fox newsgirl they love to stare at everyday. Sienna bursts into a laughing fit imagining the guys wearing skinny jeans. Lauren’s Jerome’s commercial is announced, available on mikeyshow.com. Tattoo’s singing is hilariously dissected by the cast during the guess which celebrity is butchering this song bit. Sister Avalon wants to tour the colleges of America and Woods gives Mikey a proverbial punch in the face when he says “Vagina College”. Tom Tom Tunes gets a “Cool Wind” in her transistors, “Lighting Strikes” her antennae, and her GPS goes “Bohemian”! Woodsy’s brother in law Ryan Honeycutt comes in for a great acoustic jam. This guy has more talent than all the clowns ever assembled on “America’s Got Talent”. Hilary rushes in as Mike needs to sign off early for his surgery update.

Mikey and the crew marveled at Stephen Slater's beer-in-hand escape down a JetBlue emergency slide, then condemned Hutton Gibson's claims about the Vatican while noting that his interviewer seemed to be baiting him. Woodsy admitted that injury had derailed P90X and that he smoked in New Orleans, and he later shocked everyone by revealing he once threw a water bottle toward Ozzy. The panel argued concretely about early puberty, discrimination against attractive women, Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin's responsibilities as parents, and the legal-versus-moral split in Chuck's lost inheritance. Lighter bits included the mama's-boy test, Woodsy's sham Auburn college tour, the confused investigation of Naomi Campbell's blood diamonds, and Ryan Honeycutt's moving live performance of Surrender.
What happened, in order
Flight Attendant Makes His Exit
JetBlue flight attendant Stephen Slater cursed out a passenger after being hit by her bag, grabbed beers, deployed the emergency slide, and fled the plane before police arrested him at home.
Woodsy Falls Off the Wagon
Woodsy blamed a shoulder injury for pausing P90X, then admitted he had smoked again in New Orleans while the others challenged his excuses but still backed his effort to quit.
Puberty at Seven
Mikey, Sienna, Woodsy, and Lauren reacted to a study about girls developing as early as seven or eight and argued over whether obesity and hormones in food were responsible.
Too Attractive to Hire
The panel debated research saying attractive women lose out on traditionally masculine jobs, with Mikey candidly admitting he would doubt Lauren as a tow-truck driver while Lauren described being taken less seriously at
Woodsy Threw at Ozzy
After praising Justin Bieber for continuing a concert after being hit by a bottle, Woodsy stunned Mikey by confessing that he once hurled a water bottle toward Ozzy during a Black Sabbath reunion show.
The Mama's Boy Test
A story about an Austrian man seeking protection from a mother who called 49 times a day led Mikey and the crew to define a mama's boy and callers to describe mothers who never cut the cord.
Levi and Bristol Split Again
Levi Johnston's breakup with Bristol Palin sparked a sharp argument in which Mikey said parents should sacrifice and work things out, while Lauren and Sienna argued that peaceful co-parenting can be healthier than a forc
Hutton Gibson's Vatican Tirade
The show played Hutton Gibson making anti-gay claims about the Vatican and Pope Benedict, then argued that the remarks were offensive even if the interviewer deliberately sought controversy from Mel Gibson's father.
The Lost Inheritance
An email from Chuck said his father's estate passed through his stepmother to her children, prompting the hosts to distinguish what the will legally allowed from what the stepmother morally should have done.
The College-Tour Scam
Sienna described her sister Avalon's expensive college visits before Woodsy admitted that his own supposed Auburn tour lasted 15 minutes and became a weeklong trip to Destin with friends.
Blood Diamonds and Dirty Pebbles
The crew tried to untangle testimony from Naomi Campbell and Mia Farrow about diamonds allegedly sent by Charles Taylor, with a caller explaining how conflict diamonds were smuggled in goats.
Ryan Honeycutt Surrenders
Woodsy's brother-in-law Ryan Honeycutt performed his original breakup song Surrender live, leaving Mikey impressed and Woodsy recalling that the song had once moved him to tears.

Hey, welcome to the show. Come on, if that doesn't get you fired up, I don't know what will. Lots of people have asked, what is that song that you play right at the beginning of the show? It's Linkin Park and the song is called No More Sorrow. Welcome to the program. It's a Mikey show. If you're new listening to the show, let me explain. There are five people on the Mikey show. Why? I don't really know. You know, we just said, you know, the plan is let's have as many people as we can have on one program, you know? I'm on board. And then we went for it. When I went on the Howard Stern show years ago, I was sitting in the airplane on the tarmac at JFK to come back to San Diego. And my program director was with me. And I said to him at that time, would you ever, because at that time he was so proud of me. Right. I had just gone on the Howard Stern show. And so I thought, okay, right now is the best time to ask him for something. Yeah, for sure. And so I said,
would you ever consider allowing me to have a program where I have many people on the show? Because you walked into Howard's studio. How many did he have back then? Probably four or five? Yeah, of course. Yeah. Of course. And he said, no, absolutely not. Zero percent. Zero percent chance of that. And I said, okay. And then I just let it go. So was it just you back then? On the show? Yeah. It was me and whatever person I could find that was willing to come in at night and work for free. Wow. Not get paid. Perfect. They came in and they worked literally for free. Now, two of those people, one of them is a program director in Palm Springs. There you go. And the other one is a music director right here in San Diego. Hey, you got to get your start somewhere. Yeah. Right. You got to get started, you know. When I graduated college, I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I worked in promotions for the station in Dallas that you were for, the Eagle. And I made $7 an hour folding T-shirts, handing out stickers. And I just liked the business, man. I just knew I wanted to be in radio. Good for you. Look at us. Here we are, 10, 15 years later. Crazy. Well, let's introduce everybody. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I'm taking a new medicine that's making me feel a little queasy. Uh-oh. Get some Tums if you want.
No, I mean, I'm on NXIVM, which does the same thing. That's what I think is making me queasy. Really? It's never done anything to me. So, I don't know. He's got an iron gut, though. Yeah. Woodsy is our sports guy and our man about town. Yeah. Handsome devil. Yes, he is. Doesn't have to wear any glasses anymore. Yeah. It's pretty awesome. Greatest. L.O.B. is a Foxy TV star that you see over to my right. Why do I call her a Foxy TV star? Because it's something I found on the internet. Oh, boy. Another one? More gold? This new gold being dug up all the time. It's just going to keep on coming for the next 30 years, maybe. That's right. Endless gold. People are so critical of themselves. I told her what it is, and she doesn't like it. Weird. Nobody likes to see themselves. You're going to die. Or hear themselves. You're going to die. I hate hearing myself on the radio. I hate it. Yeah. Really? I don't sound good. I don't sound cool. I sound like an idiot. You don't? Yes, I do. I've listened a couple times when, you know, if we have, if we're off the air and there's a best of running or something and I listen and I'm like, oh, wow, turn the channel, turn the channel. Yeah, I'm pretty. Exactly. Not knowing how to pronounce something. Exactly. Yeah, I am.
I'm pretty tough on myself when I listen too. I'll listen sometimes, not to the sound of my voice, but sometimes the things I'm saying. And I'll think to myself, why does anyone like me? I think that constantly. It's hard. It is. And then I also think to myself, please like me. Please. How did I get married? How do I fuck you to marry me? She can deal with me. Still trying to figure that one out. I'll think about the listener and I'll think to myself, please like me. Please don't dislike me. Please want me. Will you please need me? Wow. This just got really weird in here. That's the thoughts I have. It's wild in the same way. Kids desperate for your affection. I need your affection real sweetly. I'll do anything. Get on a unicycle, juggle, whatever you need. Yeah. Do you want me to sing a song? Absolutely. I'd grab the guitar right now. From three years old, my mother would take me into the bank. She would sit me up on the teller's desk or whatever it is. You know, with a window. The window. Yeah. And I would sing Delta Dawn and they would give me a donut. A donut? I've heard of lollipops at the bank, but not donuts. I've heard of a donut.
They kept a special little stock in the back for little Mikey. It's so funny, too, because that's my favorite dessert is the donut. Maybe that's why. I would kill for a donut right there. Oh, do I love donuts. Love them. I'll get you one if you sing that song. Delta Dawn, what's that flower you got on? Could it be a faded rose from days gone by? Days gone by. Or did I hear you say you were meeting me here today to take me to... Your Mansion? The Mansion or something. I don't know who sang Delta Dawn. My wife loves that song. I don't know, but there was like a big bassy guy at the bottom of it. Just proves to you how old I am. I'm 40. I've never heard it, but I like it. Yeah, Sienna's 25. She's never heard it. Never heard it. Lauren's never heard it. Hell, I wrote it. Yeah. Bet you did, buddy. That's right. Lauren O'Brien. We introduced Lauren. She's our assistant producer and TV star. Sienna is our news girl. She's wearing a really nice dress today. I like it a lot. Thank you. She's a doll and could be on TV. Yeah, she is. Oh, wow. She's a doll and could be on TV. She's 25. Maybe after the baby. That's right. Jay is our producer, and he's 47, and he's in the next room, and we have to be separated from him by glass.
Because you never know. He's unpredictable. You never know what he'll do. So we have to separate by glass. And he's farty, too. So it's a big help for all of us. No, yes, yes. Our new phone screener, Will, is like, oh, great. He's trapped in this room with this guy. So Will hasn't experienced you yet? No, no. I've been behaving. Just wait. Get ready, buddy. Just wait, dude. Just get a nose plug. I'm sorry. Yeah. Well, it's going to happen. That's for sure. That is for sure. Like death and taxes, dude. Can't avoid it. Can't avoid it. This morning at 7 o'clock, we have the greatest mama's boy story. It's not me. It's not you. This is what it's going to make you ask yourself, though, dudes. Fellas listening, it's going to make you ask yourself, am I a mama's boy? And it's also for you ladies going to ask yourself, am I married to one? Am I dating one? It will do that. So that's in less than an hour, 7 o'clock. The word of the day. Let's give you the word of the day. We have another pair of Charger tickets, too. So we'll go see the Chargers and the Bears. We have Chargers, Bears tickets. That's what the prize is for the word of the day. Today's word of the day is blanket. There you go. All right. Cozy. Today's word of the day is blanket. Excuse me. I'm going to be going through this, I think.
Do you even get you a bucket or anything? No. Oh. That'd be some good radio. No, no, no. That'd be some real good radio. No, I don't think it would. I don't either. What would happen is there'd be a chain reaction. Yeah. Because if I see it, I'd do it. Yeah. FYI. Yeah. So let's not do that. Yeah, I'm not going to. Let's not even talk about it. No, let's not talk about it. Yeah. Maybe we don't talk about it. I fixed you a mayonnaise sandwich or anything? Oh, yeah. You good? You are awful. Nice pork sandwich in an ashtray? That was always my favorite one. It's the best. Weird science. And good morning. So when we use the word blanket in a sentence, you'd be caller 9 at 570-194-9, and then you'll win Chargers Bears tickets. Solid. Really solid. Don't forget our meet and greets on Friday, and we'll be wearing skinny jeans. I haven't got my skinny jeans. Me neither. You haven't either? No. Maybe we go shopping. I have not seen them. I'm busy. Super busy. I think Adam's going to take care of us. Yeah, we got it. Our promotion director. It under wraps. Don't worry. You'll be wearing those. Yeah, I know, but here's my problem, L.O.B., is what about tailoring? Because I'm very diminutive. You'll just bunch them up at the bottom. Is that what I'll do? Maybe you'll roll them. You could roll them. Let's tight roll them. Oh, my gosh. That's the new thing, by the way. Did you know that? No, it's not. Yeah, the new thing is that the kids are wearing the skinny jeans, and they're...
making them into like little esprit. That's not true. That is a hundred percent true. Rebecca told me, she said that it's everywhere. She said, have you seen the new thing? And she told me that I went, that can't be true. She goes, babe, it's everywhere. What are they doing? They're pegging their skinny jeans. They're not tight rolling it like we used to. They just roll them up, right? You remember tight roll? You fold it. You fold it and roll it. Oh, it's the worst. Don't know. But I know they're rolling them. To wear their, like, capri pants? Yeah. That's what she said. I have seen that. Do you remember? The girls do that. The guy in the airport. Very specific. Guys. There was a guy in the airport with some rolled up pants and a walking stick. Oh, wow. Which I was fascinated by. Oh, I saw the walking stick. I didn't see rolled up. They were rolled up, like, mid-calf. I was just fascinated by this guy. I couldn't take my eyes off this dude. I couldn't believe he could bring a walking stick on a plane. He was walking through. He had a. Five foot walking stick. For what? For walking. I don't know. I was like, what are you, professional mountain climber? Disabled? No. Not at all. Maybe he's a Sherpa. Maybe he's a professional Sherpa. I think he was a wizard. He could be a wizard. I think he was a witch doctor considering we were going to New Orleans. And I was like, stop looking at him. He had a little fedora on too. I was like, oh, you got a whole thing going on over there. Yes, he does. You have to consider anything because he could be anything. Could be a crackhead. Could be anything. You don't know. You never know. I was.
I was like, what's he going to do with the stick? How's he going to bring the stick on? How do you get the security? Where's he going to put it? It's not going to fit in the overhead. I was losing my mind. He kept asking about it. And he's not a quiet whisperer. No. There's nothing quiet about that guy. So here, we'd love to talk to you. You would be very comforting to me. Like me. 570-1949 is our number. Call me up and love me. Love me. Love me. Nobody's calling. I know. Eight-second delay. Good. Be a crackhead. Nobody's calling. You never know. So here's the things on the docket. You ready? First of all, the Chargers bolt man. Now, that's the big dude, right, in the foam bolt? Yeah, the guy with the big muscles. And for the last 14 years, this guy, Dan, and I'm going to mess up his last name, and I'm so sorry ahead of time. Sorry, Dan. Drigi. That sounds about right. How's it spelled?
J-A-U-R-E-G-U-I. Cherigi. Cherigi. Ha! We call him Dan J. That's cool. We call him DJ. Yeah. We call him DJ Bolt Man. My last name growing up was Richards. Yeah, it's pretty easy. Come on now. I'm just kidding. This guy Dan, for the last 14 years, he invented the Bolt Man, basically. He came up with the costume. The original... is actually at the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio right now, the first Bolt Man costume. And now he's like, okay, I've been doing this for 14 years. My time is up. It's time for someone else. He goes to every game. He pumps up the crowd. He runs around, plays with kids, takes pictures. This guy is the man. Right. And now he's putting it. On eBay. The costume. Two costumes, actually. The one that he wears, and there's a new and improved Bolt Man costume. And, you know, the opening bid's just only $75,000. Oh, my gosh. But if you... This is like a big deal, though, because he wants someone with a cool story that will continue his tradition and go to the games and play with kids and take pictures and pump up the crowd. So he won't even sell it unless the person...
tells him that they will honor. No, yeah, it's a huge responsibility. Like, this is a big deal. He's passing over the throne, or the torch here, yeah. And it's going to be on eBay, going on sale this Saturday, August 14th, and will be up for five days. In order to be able to take that suit, you must prove to him that you will honor the suit. You must. This suit was handed down to me from my father, and I will give Bultmann to someone who can honor the seat the way that I did. You may take my thunder, but you may never take. You may never take my 12-pack. You've all seen Bolt Man before, right? Woods, you're about to, if you haven't. I think I have anyway. He makes it on TV all the time. He has a lightning bolt head and sunglasses and his huge smile and big foam muscles. Well, you know, I think... That guy's going to have some rough Sundays, man, trying to watch the game like a normal person. I know. He's going to be wanting to be back out on the field again. That's what they say. You always want to be back out there. Once you go bolt, you'll never go back. That's right. That's a phrase. That's a phrase that Lauren just said. Slip of the tongue. Either way, I guess you just have to take that for what it's worth.
Hey, this is some good news. They caught one of those Arizona prison escapees. Yeah. On Friday, July 30th, three of them were escaped from prison in Arizona. One was caught like a day or two after. And now they've caught the second person in Wyoming, a woman. Her name's Tracy. And again, they've said that these three have all been armed and dangerous. Now they're looking for the third person right now. So we have two out of three. They're bad news, man. Yeah, those dudes were pretty hardcore. Yeah, they were. I hope they catch him. I read that the last guy that's out there, he's running around. He's engaged to his cousin. Yeah. He's engaged to his cousin. And she's the one that helped get him out of jail. What's wrong with that? Yeah, she's engaged to his cousin. You're from Texas. Come on. It makes me wonder, because I hear that, and I go, how'd they get there? How do you get there? I love you forever. Yeah, man. It's messed up. I know. Oh, by the way, have you guys heard the story, because this just happened, about the flight attendant that went wacky? Yeah, I tweeted about it. Was he on Southwest? Okay. Because isn't that their bit? Jeff Blue. So weird. I love this story. What happened? Okay, let me start from the beginning.
There's a JetBlue flight attendant named Stephen Slater, 38 years old. He was working on flight 1052 from Pittsburgh to Kennedy Airport. Landed around 12 p.m. yesterday, and he got into a little verbal altercation with one of the 100 passengers. This girl gets up from her seat to take her bag down before the plane has fully stopped once they've landed. He comes over and is walking towards her and says, excuse me, you need to sit down until the plane has come to a complete stop. The woman basically was like, F you, and continued getting her bag down, so he went walking towards her. Her bag hit him in the head. Hurt, sadness, fear. He's all three. He's hurt, sad, and fearful. He freaked out. He asked for an apology. cursed him out and was like, you know, F you. I'm trying to get my stuff. We've already landed, you know. Weird. Everyone wants to get up and get their stuff, but you have to stop until the plane. You've got to wait for the ding, man. I know. Like, is this your first time flying, lady? Just chill out. I know. What are you going to do? They can't even open the door yet. Yeah. I know it. So then the flight attendant, Steve, he got on the announcement system. Yeah. After this, and allegedly.
Cursed out everyone on the plane. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Everyone on the plane flipped out. It gets better. And especially the woman who mouthed off to him. No way. Oh, yeah, Mike. Oh, yeah. So, wait, wait, wait, wait. We have to stop right there. It's clear to everyone listening at this point that he has lost his mind now, right? The spring is just hot. The spring is hot. Oh, my gosh. If he was a cartoon character, he would be purple-faced with steam coming out of his ears. You know, I have to feel for him, though. I do, too, man. He's got a rough job. And for this woman, it's like, come on, you know the drill. Just sit down. And then he walks over and her suitcase hits him in the face. Oh, man. I would have punched her. His very last marble. was rolling down. Oh, yeah. He lost his marbles. So then once his tirade was through over the speaker system. Oh, my gosh. And at that point, right, when you're the flight attendant and you've already cussed out everybody on the intercom, anything goes. Anything goes. This is the best. Because you've already lost your mind. This is the best.
So then he's like, all right, well, I'm already done. Might as well take my clothes off. The next brilliant idea comes through his mind. Goes to the little kitchen area of the plane, grabs a few beers. Are you kidding? Oh, no. Are you kidding? Pulls the emergency chute and slides off the plane with the beers. No, tell me the truth. Tell me what really happened. He grabs the beers, pushes open the emergency door, goes down the chute. Goodbye. And yells. And yells, you're cool. You're cool. He goes, there goes 28 years. No way. Maybe we get him on the show, please. He's going to be genius. Get in line. Everybody in the world wants to interview that. I know. So once he made it down the slide, he took off into the terminal, bailed, went home. Cops show up at his house. For what? Well, the cops show up at his house where apparently he's in the middle of some sexual relations with his boyfriend. Oh, boy. Oh, my gosh. He got right to it. Wow. So he was a stewardess. You know what? Hey, listen. You know what really makes him crazy? You know what really makes him? He's straight.
He was in a fit of rage. He was in a fit of rage. He's like, you know what? I don't care anymore. I don't care who you are. You have a pulse. Come here. I wasn't thinking clearly. I wasn't obviously thinking clearly. He just wanted to get home. He had some business to attend to. And now he has been arrested. He's being charged with second and fourth degree criminal mischief, first and second degree reckless endangerment and criminal trespass in the third degree and faces up to seven years in prison if convicted. And you want to know what? else about the lady on and sitting in f4 do you want to know about her because i don't even care anymore i can care less i don't care about you i don't care about you and i'm out of here Oh my gosh. Gotta get a mojito. Hey, I'm in on the guy, dude. I think he did the right thing. He didn't do the right thing. He did an awesome thing. It wasn't the right thing. It was awesome. It's the best story. He did the opposite of the right thing. I bet you he played that out so many times in his head. He was like, man, if I ever lost it on here, I would go down that chute. I've always wanted to know what it felt like. You never want to be in a position where you have to go down that slide.
I've always wanted to go down that slide, but I want to do it as kind of a bit. I don't want to have to do it. Yeah. But he's sliding down with beers in his hand. He probably thought to himself, he's like, I'm already fired. What have I not experienced? I'm surprised he didn't fly the plane. I know. Imagine the pilot and everyone else in the plane is just sitting there like, this is great. That's the thing. He made it all the way home. So it's like nobody tackled him down the tarmac. I love it. They were all just too surprised. Yeah, yeah. I love it. I think it's brilliant. I think the crime, too. Criminal mystery. Mischief? Yeah, come on. Put something a little stronger in there. Really? Stronger? Criminal mischief. I mean, that's good. That should be a ticket. Write the guy in the ticket. What? He didn't hurt anybody. What? What are they going to do? Arrested for yelling at somebody? What if everybody on the plane was like, wahoo, and went down the slide as well, and then they ran out onto the runway? That didn't happen. Imagine the joy in his.
face and his eyes as he has two beers in his hand and is halfway down that slide and he's like, I'm out! I'm out! I thought throwing my apron at my old boss and saying, I quit, was the ultimate vindication. That must have been like, ugh. I've had a work storm out too, which is so stupid. Can you give me your top three? Just one. Were you stormed out? Oh yeah, stormed out. Did you throw something? Expletives. Did you kick or punch anything? When I got in my car, I did. You did? Yeah. Staring wheel? Yeah, we saw the Footloose video. Yeah, you do it in the Footloose video. Mike, did you ever hear audio a couple years ago of a girl who quit on the air? A woman on the Midwest. I've heard audio of a guy quitting on the air. No, it was a woman, and she had an air shift on the radio, and she... Lost it. Just like this guy. Lost it. Dropping bombs left and right. Throwing people under the bus. Saying how screwed up her company is. Live on the air. What shift? What shift? Do you know? I think she was afternoon. Oh my gosh. I want to hear it. Big market? Little market? I think it was a little market. Yeah.
That's brilliant. I could probably find it, and she loses her mind. Maybe we sniff around for that. Yeah. Is it bleeped and everything? Oh, yeah. Oh, perfect. You can't recover from that. Oh, no. Imagine being the boss. I mean, career-wise. No, you go. You go to a different profession. Somebody, the guy goes, hey, listen, I was just having a really bad day. Yeah. Just give me another shot. I won't do it again. Yeah. I like serving Diet Cokes and peanuts. Your radio career is done, my friend. It's over. It's definitely over. I'm going to look for that. Don't forget. Got a great story for you. 7 o'clock. Are you a mama's boy? We're going to find out whether or not you're a mama's boy. Woodsy's got Woods on sports. Coming up next, want to know the latest with Daryl Rivas? Let you know if he is going to play or not going to play. It's coming up. It's the Mikey Show. Woodsy's going to tell you what the latest is with Daryl Rivas. Coming up here in just a little bit.
They were able to stop my mom's pain yesterday, which was really good. My mom's in the hospital and has pain from something called sciatica. And they gave her a cortisone injection, and it was like my mom came back. That's awesome. It was really cool. I've had those before. Yeah. Yeah. They gave her a numbing agent. Num, num, num, num, num, num. And then they gave her the deal, and she was better. I was in the waiting room, and... Jerry Springer was on, and I couldn't figure out how to change the channel. Oh, gosh. I can't believe that show is still on. Maybe the filthiest thing I've ever seen in my life. I mean, they've got to be actors, right? Or just really, really boozed up. Do you know that I got to attend a live taping of the Jerry Springer show in Chicago? Did you really? With my little brother. It was, funnily enough, it was my brother and I, and it was brothers who fight or something like that. Guy walked out. He was sleeping with his brother's wife. And, you know, he sits down and he's like, first thing out of his mouth. We're sitting there watching. He goes, I love her, Jerry. And, dude, the other brother runs out and full on brawl. I mean, like two seconds in. Right. I know my brother and I were, but it's wild to see it live. It's wild. Yeah, it's just on TV. I just thought, this is so gross. It's the worst. Like I wanted to shower after seeing it. It's awful, man. So gross.
Let's see. Seven o'clock. Find out if you're a mama's boy. We'll be asking if you're a mama's boy. If you have to think about it, you probably are. Comes with a great story. I mean, this story is just, it's phenomenal about this guy that had to get a restraining order. The word of the day is blanket. All right. When you hear us use that word in, you know, work it into a sentence, then you'd be calling number nine at 5701949. You'll win Chargers Bears tickets. Later on, we've got to talk about what's up with Levi Johnston. Johnston? Johnston. What a weird cat. Yeah. What a strange man. Sarah Palin's grandson's baby daddy. You know, you kind of started to pull for him a little bit last week because they were going to get married and he'd apologize. And you're like, okay, I guess this guy's coming around. And then now you hear this stuff. He's a loser. You're an idiot. No, they broke up again. Yeah, they broke up again.
Weird. He's a weird dude. Yeah, we'll get into it later. Meet and greets Friday. Guys on the show have to wear skinny jeans. Do we? We do. Do we? You guys are going to look so great. So much for going to dinner or hanging out any time after that. Yeah. It's one of the most humiliating things I've ever thought of. There's no question. What am I going to wear as a shirt? You can wear what you're wearing right now, a nice little flannel button-up. I might need to borrow a flannel. Wear a T-shirt from the Baby Gap. Halter top. Oh, my gosh. Halter top. Woods, you just wear a T-shirt. You'll be fine. Woodsy, how's P90X coming? Dude, I haven't done P90X in about five days because, well, I don't. Easy, Kevin. Oh, no, no, no, no. Lauren instantly. She didn't do it.
I didn't say anything. She didn't say anything, was she? She started to laugh, and you noticed it. Lauren didn't say anything. I laughed because he just called himself out. She thought of a funny joke. Oh, I know. Well, so I went to the orthopedic surgeon, and they looked at mine. They did an MRI on my shoulder. Not an MRI. What do they call it? An X-ray. They did an X-ray on my shoulder, and I have an inflamed supraspinatus. So I got some anti-inflammatories, and he said no exercises above 90 degrees. And that's all P90X. Pretty much the whole first day is above 90 degrees. So I was like, yeah, I'm going to get fat again. Well, you've been on P90X. I can't have an injury. Three weeks. You did it one week and you were awesome. I got handed to you. I couldn't do it. Well, then I got surgery. Second week you got the eye surgery. Couldn't do it for two weeks. No, one week. Now he's back. I was back last week. But now he just got an x-ray. Can't do it again. Yeah. Maybe P90X is not right for me. Maybe it's not. But I can't. It feels like I can't get healthy, dude. I've had the finger, the surfing injury that was a broken finger, the ripped shoulder, the bruised heel. I'm like, I have these nagging little injuries. Maybe me and you go on girly walks together. Because I'm supposed to be exercising, and I'm not either.
I think I'm just eating fat. No. I don't even care anymore. We cannot give up. I've given up, dude. I like the Woods that eats Pop-Tarts. Yeah, I do too. I do too, but I don't. I almost start smoking again. No, no, no. How long has it been? How long has it been? It's been, well, I smoked like one cigarette in New Orleans. You did? That means he smoked a pack in New Orleans. I was at the casino. How many did you have? Stop calling me out. Let's move on. Woods on Sports brought to you. I did not know this. This is being revealed for the first time on the air live right now at this moment. None since Friday. Well, that's good. Dude, I smoked for 16 years. Woodsy, listen, I'm still proud of you. I walked by this morning. And you know what my bit was? Maybe I've learned how to do. Because I have friends that they'll buy a pack of cigarettes when they're on vacation. They'll smoke when they're on vacation. It's like anything in moderation, but I'm not justifying it. Because this morning I walk by. Don't smoke on vacation. I walk by and I go, oh, there's some cigarettes. And I go, I really want one. Never mind. I walk past it. And I fought it, dude. So I know I'm doing the right things. But I was at the casino. Two guys on either side of me were going. And I was like, I had one beer. I was like.
Yeah, let me bum one of those. I sucked that thing down, and it tasted amazing. Amazing. Oh, my gosh. Hey, man. Kid's imperfect. I'll admit it. I'll admit it. It's okay. P90X, though. P90X is a bitch. It's a bitch. That is extreme, because you have to do it on your own. There's no one to show you. You're probably injuring yourself because you're doing something wrong. Did LOBC you smoke? Yeah. She did. Did you say something? I didn't say anything. No, because I did the preemptive. I go, hey, look, and showed it to them. I was like, here. And they all knew. They're like, all right, don't mess with it. Don't poke the tiger. That's right. So, yeah, dude, I just, I got to find something, man. I mean, it's because I feel like a slug. I feel like a slug because I can't do, I can do some parts of it, but I can't do the whole thing. So it's like, what do I do? Maybe I just go to a gym. See, that's the thing. I need to be exercising too. What I should do, well, I can do cardio. What I should be doing is getting outside and walking. Why don't we go surf? That's cardio like crazy. I think it's a little too much, though. Isn't surfing bad for your shoulders? I can do overhand like this. Overhand doesn't hurt, but it's when I extend like that. Like your bench pressing. Like bench pressing or doing any sort of push-ups is bad. You guys could go on a long walk on the beach together. Oh, yeah, hold hands. Sunset. I'm just going to surf. Maybe everybody just leaves me alone.
Don't worry about my workout routines anymore. I've already told you, I like Pop-Tart Woods. I'm going to be Pop-Tart Woods. He used to come in every week with a fresh box of Pop-Tarts to blast him through the books of the week. Don't anybody make any t-shirts that say Pop-Tart Woods? Don't anybody make any t-shirts that say Pop-Tart Woods? Yes. Oh, you're falling apart. Oh, boy. Let's do Woods on Sports. Why don't we just do some Woods on Sports because that will lift your spirits. Oh, no. Uh-oh. He's throwing chairs around. A little volatile. Love you. Love you, dude. He's a little stressed. Here we go. Pull it together, buddy. Woods on Sports is brought to you by our friends at Clearview Eye and Laser Medical Center. Well, the Padres had the night off last night. They will be taking on the Pirates tonight. It's Wade LeBlanc against Jeff Carson. Tonight it's 7.05. Very beatable, and we've got to win the series. Very beatable, man. You've got to. You're a game and a half up on the Giants after they won last night. So there's plenty of good seats available out there at Petco. Maybe the Giants lose sometimes. Seriously, they are white hot right now. Also, the Chargers will play on Saturday night against the douche man himself, Jay Cutler and the Bears. I can't stand that guy. I mean, I can't stand him. He's going to be heckled. Oh, big time. Game time is at 6 p.m. There is one Charger that's ready to rock. His name is Phillip Rivers. Cut one.
Yeah, I think it gradually grows as we get closer to the game. Certainly you get a little tired of going against the same guys. They know every cadence. They know all the routes. They know what you're trying to do. And it makes you tough on both sides of the ball. So certainly the games come at the right time, ready to see a different color jersey and go out there and play against somebody that hasn't seen you. You hear that every season. Every season. That phrase is uttered. Every season, I can't wait to see another colored jersey. It's game time, man. These guys have been hitting each other for weeks. They're like, all right, dude, get us against somebody else because we're going to rip their heads off. A lot of fights. Oh, yeah. I've been hearing about a lot of fights. Just a random thought. How often do you hear Phillip? Do you think anyone calls him Phil? There's not a lot of Philips. I think of Prince Charming, like Phillip. When you look at him, you don't want to call him Phil. No, you don't want to call him Phil. But Philip seems awkward. Hey, Philip. But you look at Philip Rivers and you're like, that's not Phil Rivers. No, no. But it's also not Philip because when I think of Philip, I think of a guy with boat shoes and a pullover. Right? Yeah. I'm just sitting here like, would I call him? Hey, Philip. Darling is...
Phillip coming over this evening. Because if he is, then we've got to take the decanter out now. The decanter? I'd like to get the wine in the decanter by 5 o'clock. If Phillip is coming to dinner, then we need to know now. Well, the New York Jets have a really, really good player named Darrell Rivas. He's holding out. He wants more money. He's scheduled to make about a million dollars this year. But he wants to be the highest paid cornerback in the league. Fair enough. Guy's a really good player. He's asking for more than three years, $45 million. And so his agents went to the Jets, and they said, hey, this is what our guy wants. They said, absolutely not. So Coach Rex Ryan is kind of ready to move on at this point without him. Cut to. I'm just coaching this group. We're coaching this group, and that's all we can focus on right now is getting this team ready. We've got to prepare like he's not going to be here. That's right. That's right. Well, the highest paid guy in the league right now. at that position, plays for Oakland. It's Nassimwa. I can't pronounce the dude's name. He saved my life. You know what he makes? 16 mil a year. And I think the Jets have the right answer to it. They're like, hey, it's not our fault that the Raiders are stupid. Because they are stupid. And we're not going to pay what they paid because they're a bad organization. They should have never paid that. Let me ask you this. Would you want to be the highest played
highest paid player on a really, really bad team or a very well-paid player on a really, really good team like the Jets. You know, if I'm Darrell Rivas, these guys have a chance to go do something this year. You know, same with Vincent Jackson and, you know, these guys. Get on the field, man. Go win a ring. That's what it's all about. And it has everything to do with what he feels they believe he's worth. Absolutely. It's respect and entitlement, man. Also, the world champion, New Orleans Saints, visited the White House yesterday. They got to hang out with our president. Here is the president on the Saints in the city of New Orleans. Cut three. These guys became more than leaders in the locker room. They became leaders of an entire region. And the victory parade that we saw earlier this year made one thing perfectly clear. that New Orleans and New Orleans Saints are here to stay. Wow, he is such a serious guy. He is, man. He is. And finally, one of our listeners, M1 Harold, he took second place in the U.S. World Championships of Arm Wrestling. Wow. Congratulations. He was in Billings, Montana. I think his next tournament's going to be in Vegas. So congratulations, M1 Harold. We love you. And great work, man. That's Woods on Sports. There you go.
All right, the panel. This is what we do in the panel. It's myself, Woods, and L.O.B., Lauren O'Brien. And it's whatever the kind of hot stories are that are out there today. Some of the hot stories out there today include the fact that there's a report that's come out that says that puberty is coming earlier for teens. Girls. For girls. Not even teens. Specifically girls. It's for girls. Okay. Yeah, puberty. In U.S. teens, it's coming way too early for girls. I don't want to gross any guys out because guys always get grossed out by this word. I do, too. I'm going to put myself in that same category. Don't say the M word, dude. No, I was going to say the P word. I'm going to say the P word. Okay, same thing. It's the same thing. Don't say it. Sorry, man. So are you saying, Sienna, that they're getting their... Not at the end of a sentence. Monthly cycle. Ant flow. Monthly cycle. That's grosser. They don't... We'll just say... They're not talking about the P word. They're not? Children. I am. I'm a kid. I know. I don't like the word period. That's my period. What they're talking about is more like girls. I mean, they are getting it earlier, but they're more than anything developing at crazy young ages now. I've seen it.
Now, by crazy young, any guesses about when boots start poking out? I'll say. 12. I bet it's 11. 10. Less. No. Less. Get. Come on. 7 to 8. That's wrong. Oh, gosh. That's wrong. That's wrong. That's wrong. Please let me have boys. Please let me have boys. Please let me have boys. That's so. 7 to 8. Now, doctors are unsure of what could be causing the girls to develop at a younger age. But there is one, you know. big factor, and it is the obesity rates in the United States. I was going to say hormones. I thought it was the hormones in the chicken. Chicken and beef and all that. Yeah. We don't even need to go around the panel. We just did. I mean, we all agree, I think. I mean, it's hormones. They're putting hormones in food. Okay, why do they put hormones in food? To make the chickens fatter quicker. You know, get bigger, quicker. You know, so that they can produce more chickens. Oh, boy. And so that it's a nice, big piece of meat. So buy organic beef and chicken, right? Grain-fed, yeah. Grain-fed, thank you. I'm going to start doing it. I'm going to support something. That's not P90X. Well, it's certainly not a bad idea. You know what I mean? I mean, I used to think, oh, everybody's carrying on so much about this.
organic and natural and the difference between the words and the difference between the criteria of what meets natural and what meets organic. And I would roll my eyes. I don't roll my eyes anymore. I really don't either. Because you've got seven-year-olds wearing D-cups. It's terrible. Isn't this just saving money for breast implants later on in life, though? Is it what? Saving money on breast implants later in life. Yeah, that's a platform you should run on, Jay. Let's save money on breast implants later in life. But young girls, the earlier you get breasts, the higher your risk is for breast cancer. So it's really scary. And you can go through menopause earlier and a whole pose of health problems. Awful. Awful. Next up. That's first grade. First grade boobs. I didn't get mine until like eighth. Yeah. I didn't. I was a freshman. You're a freshman? Yes. Man, I was a sophomore. Why are they going to put video cameras in cars, you know? Well, lawmakers are considering a new legislation this week that would, yes, allow vehicles to be equipped with cameras to record them.
on their dashboards of their cars. To record them as they drive or what they're seeing out the window? Basically what they would keep on record are moments leading up to accidents. So they wouldn't keep anything. They say that it's going to be private, but if you are in an accident, it's going to record all evidence that led up to that accident. That's a great idea. Well, let's discuss in the panel. What do you think of that? Invasion of privacy or good idea? Invasion of privacy, I guess. I don't know. Could tape you. I mean, imagine. You could be played back, and you didn't have anything to do with it, and suddenly you're held liable. Yeah, I'm out, dude. I'm out on it. Out on the whole thing. Don't come sniff around what I'm doing in privacy my own car. L-O-B? I'm out on it, too. I mean, what happened to just the way that it used to be? I mean, I would be curious to see who's the one pushing this. I would assume it's the insurance company, so they don't have to pay for anyone. They'll just say, oh, yeah, it was the driver that it was.
A fall or something. I don't know. But just look at the ballistics and go on the eyewitnesses and the angle of which the cars get hit. I need cameras. Well, I like the idea because if I get into an accident and some Yahoo says, oh, yeah, didn't happen that way, I'm going to look at the tape, buddy. What if you're the Yahoo? Well, I'm not going to lie. How can you lie, though? You know who doesn't get in trouble? The person that doesn't lie about it. Say what happened. But sometimes you feel like no matter what, it's not your fault. Sometimes it can be both people's fault. And maybe it isn't. And what situation would someone be able to lie as opposed to what the evidence would show? Well, I have a dent on the front of my car. He's got a dent on the back of the car. Oh, from being parked? Yeah. Yeah, but how are you going to track down that person? Maybe they're there. This is obviously with the people. You know what I mean? Or you get into an accident. Somebody says, Yeah, let's say they hit something, right, because they're drunk. They hit a pole. And they go, yeah, I want to file a claim here. And the insurance company says, well, let's take a look at the tape. Turns out you were drunk, you hit a tree. How could they tell it from the tape? Because you run into a tree. Yeah, but couldn't that just be slipped on ice? How would they know you're drunk? Yeah, that's true.
I mean, I guess you could say that, but there would be, I mean, at least there'd be something to look at, right? Yeah. Do you have a six-pack between your legs? Yeah. Maybe if it activated on impact or something like that, but not all the time. Like, what if you're just picking your nose or singing along? No, it's not looking at you, you guys. Yeah. I thought the deal is it's looking outward like what you would see in the... It would look and see what you see out of your... See, I immediately... I mean, I guess that makes more sense. I immediately thought it's looking at me. It's like a cop's dashboard cam. Yeah, it's like a dashboard cam. Maybe. You guys have never seen the footage of the cabs where they're out in the back and it shows the wreck and it shows the guy flying all around inside the car? I think that's what they're talking about, where they film you the whole nine yards. Well, I don't want it pointed at me. Me neither. I don't think it is. Forget it. I think it's... The idea is that... You find out what happened in accidents. And the way you do is have a dashboard cam like cops do. Okay. Attractive women, it turns out, are overturned in jobs. How so, Sienna? Okay, well, this was a study that was just done by the University of Colorado Denver Business School. And they found that attractive women face discrimination when they apply for jobs where appearance...
Appearance is not really seen as important. Now I'm talking about the jobs they gave as examples, manager of research and development, construction supervisor, director of finance, mechanical engineer. And you have to agree. Like, is there arguing that if some woman came up and applied and she was hot to be a construction supervisor? And then there was a guy who applied for the same job. You give it to the guy. Woods, if you were in the hiring position. which I used to be, in a job like Sienna just named, what would you do? Would you find an attractive woman to be a distraction in the workplace? No, man. Not at all. Yeah, right. Tell the truth. Not at all. I'm telling the truth. No, here's the deal. You shouldn't discriminate anybody. It should be based on their experience. However, I will tell you, as a recruiter, former recruiter, I got two guys, even guys, similar resumes. One guy's a little sharper than the other one. I'm going with the sharper guy. I mean, I just am. This guy's going to be in front of clients. I was probably leaning the other way. A couple other examples real quick I just want to throw out to make sure you guys really get this. Hardware salesperson, prison guard, tow truck driver. If a woman- There are a lot of attractive broads firing up resumes for these positions. Apparently there are some. Yeah. Wow.
And they go, they're hiring a tow truck driver. They don't want to hire somebody that looks like L.O.B. or Sienna. Why? Because they don't look... Listen, I'm going to be honest with you. They don't look the part? I'll be real honest with you. If I'm hiring for a tow truck position, L.O.B. walks in my office, I go, yeah, right. You'd laugh. I'm sorry, I would. You would hide a laugh. Yeah, I would be like, okay, yeah, we'll give you a call. I'll give you a shout. Thanks for coming in. If you want a receptionist job, you can have it. That's the basis of discrimination? Discrimination, yeah. I would take a look at her and I'd think, well, you know... These guys, they've got to be out there, they've got to be lugging, they've got to be doing this, da-da-da, you know. Hey, conversely, if I'm hiring at Mac... at the Mac counter and Woods walks in. I go, okay, great. I probably want Lauren. Mac the computer or the makeup? Mac the makeup. Mac the makeup. Mac the makeup. I want somebody that looks like they can put on some sort of eyeliner or whatever and I want it to look nice on them and I want girls and women to walk up and see Lauren and be like, oh my gosh, that looks...
fabulous on you. That's right. In the same study, just so you guys know, they found that attractive men did not face similar discrimination and were always, always at an advantage. Don't we? Are we, so are we still going, is it my turn? Are we still going around the panel? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. Because I, when I first got out of school and early in the workforce, I was going for all sales positions and there were a couple companies that I'm not going to throw under the bus that would say, okay, you realize you're going to be going into blue collar, you know, companies, you realize how are you going to handle when someone does catcalls or how are you going to handle blah, blah, blah. Are you going to be able to dress a certain way? What did you say? I said, yeah, of course I can handle myself. I have brothers. Is that discrimination, though, or is that more about your own safety? I'm pretty sure the dudes that we're interviewing weren't getting the same talk. Yeah, but the dudes don't have to deal with that. They're not going to get catcalled. But I'm saying, though, as a result of being attractive, this is the stuff that an employer is considering. They're like, well, are we going to deal with discrimination suits? Are we going to deal with this girl crying, complaining about the workplace? Is it weird that I catcall like this? A little bit. Slightly. Listen, people get hired because they're good looking. There's no question. Every general manager that I've ever had has always been...
It doesn't matter man or woman. They're always real sharp. They're always real sharp. Yeah, but you also, I mean, I'm by no means like a supermodel. I'm just saying I'm not ugly. And when I used to go on like networking events and talk to people, they don't take, number one, you're a woman. Number two, you're attractive. You're already deemed as less intelligent. What about the whole blonde thing? Yeah, I think it goes both ways. So you can get hired and you can also get. taken not very seriously. I got taken more seriously when I was a brunette than I was a boy. Some of the best hires I ever made were women. I mean, the top producers in our company were women. Yeah, I believe it. From across the board. Hey, I'm not sure if you heard about Justin Bieber getting hit in the head with a water bottle in Sacramento, but we have audio of it, and it's a big thump, and you can hear it in the audio. Big question is, did he leave the stage? No, boy. Or battle through the pain. Queens of Leon situation. Were they throwing feces at him or just the water bottle? Water bottle. I'll let you throw a water bottle at me. Water bottle. I will not let you throw feces at me. Well, we'll find out next. The Mikey Show is myself. I'm Mikey. And Woodsy is the guy across from me right now. He's our sports guy. L-O-B is Lauren O'Brien. She's the blonde girl to my right.
The auburn-haired beauty to my left is a girl named Sienna. She's 25 years of age. And then you got Jay. He's 47. He's in the next room. He's our producer. The word of the day is blanket. All right, so you're listening for us to work the word blanket into a sentence. When you hear that, caller number 9 at 570-1949 is going to win tickets to the Chargers-Bears game this weekend. No, it's going to be great. Light them up, Chargers. And then all the guys on the show, me, Jay, and Woods, have to wear skinny jeans to our meet and greet on Friday. Every time Mike says that, he has to wipe his nose. We're going to wipe his nose skinny jeans every single time. It's really hard for me to think about. I know. Putting those on. Don't think about it. I won't think about it. Don't think about it. Just show up. Wearing skinny jeans. Purple ones. You're going to look really good. Oh, Sienna.
No, I'm not. Oh, the tip, by the way. I don't know if you guys saw the tip on my Facebook page yesterday for us, Mike. Yeah. We are supposed to wear under armor, under the skinny jeans. What? So as to hold our piece in place. Really? Really? You mean like underwear? Under armor. Under armor. What's that? Under armor, like the tight, like spandex-y. Are you serious? Stuff that athletes wear. That's ridiculous. I wear them for baseball, so I'm like, eh, maybe I'll put them on so I don't. Look like Robert Plant in 1977. If you're going through that sort of measure just to wear pants, maybe you get a different pair of pants. Yeah. Maybe you wear normal jeans. Maybe you wear jeans. I would think boxed or briefs would be okay. Mikey, so I'm going to need you to get yourself some Under Armour panties. I have it. I have Under Armour panties. I have under armor. I wore under armor. I'm going to laugh if you lift up your arms and I see you under armor. It's going to look like I'm wearing a girdle. I'm mortified right now. I'm breaking out in highs. I don't think I can make it Friday. I'm a little under the weather. I'm going to cut the sleeves off my shirt. I'm going to be all cool looking when you see me. He's going to look like one of the kings of Leon. Jay just puts on his son's clothes and he's good to go. Oh my goodness. In just a second, we're going to be telling you the Mama's Boy story.
get you involved in it. Might be hearing from Senior Beans here in a minute, too. So, Justin Bieber, okay? Justin Bieber is a teen sensation, right? He's very popular with teenage girls, right, Sienna? Oh, very popular. He's playing a concert in Sacramento and got hit in the head by a big water bottle. Yeah. Listen to this. Well, yeah, I just want to see everybody because I love you guys. Ow. That didn't feel good. I don't know why she just threw that at me. You can hear the smack. Let's hear it again. But yeah, I just want to see everybody because I love you guys. Oh, it's full too. It's full. About time. I don't know why she just threw that at me. Is he getting a little gangster? She handled it like a chick. Yeah, he did. I'm impressed. Kick that girl out and arrest her. He continued to play.
Great. Big deal. What did the Queens of Leon do? They got poop on them. From pigeons. Pigeon poop. They called it a night. I'm just going to bring a bag of pigeon poop in for you guys. I'm just going to throw it at you. Where are you going to get a bag of pigeon poop? I'll be at Balboa Park with a bag. At Pigeon Mart. Scraping. Scraping, collecting, sampling. Have fun for that. I will. Hey, Woodsy, I don't deny you that it is an awful thing. It's terrible. All I'm doing is making an observation. It's your apples and oranges. This guy could have gotten a black eye from it. Deal. Sure. He could have had a concussion. He could have had a bird flu from pigeon poop. He probably had a concussion. If somebody would have asked me, if somebody would have asked me four months ago, hey, listen, who leaves the stage by getting pelted by bird poop or getting hit in the face. Would it be hardcore rockers? Yeah, would it be hardcore rockers? I don't know that I'd call them hard. They're not Pantera or anything. Well, rockers, they're no Justin Bieber. Would it be the rock fan or would it be Justin Bieber? I guess they're no Justin Bieber. Well, yeah, I just wanted to see everybody. I love you guys. What a brat. Ow. That didn't feel good. I don't know why she just threw that at me.
Who throws water bottles at people's heads? I threw one at Ozzy one time. What? I got caught up in the moment. It was black. Wait, hold on. I need a minute. I need a minute. Hold on. Caught up in what moment? I propose myself. Mikey has his hands on his forehead. He doesn't even know what to say. He's bent over the board. Like, I can't believe he can still shock me. Woods can still... A bottled water. He can still shock me. He still says things, and I go, no, you didn't. I did. I went to see... It was Ozzfest, and it was the first year that Black Sabbath reunited. And they're playing, and I'm... Dude, I was hammered. I was like, yeah! And there was like a quarter left. And everybody was throwing stuff, so I just reached back and chucked it as far as I could. Did it hit him? It hit him right at his feet. Oh, my God. This is a tall tale. I go, oh, that's a tall tale. It's not a tall tale. It's a tall tale. On my mother. It's Woods. It's Woods. I have 15 people that were with me that were like, dude. Bark My Almond was there. I was like, woo, Sabbath! I mean, right at his feet. I was like, oh, God, that got close. That got close. That got close. If Woodsy said,
I made a complete and total stop at that red light. I'd be like, that's a tall tip. Yeah. Okay? When Woodsy says he threw a beer at Ozzy, I'm like... No, a beer. It's a bottle of water. I'm just saying. I see him shoot balled up pieces of paper all day. Maybe makes one. The kid's... It's pretty accurate, though. When he's throwing at Ozzy. When I get a throw. When I get a nice full... I mean, it was full extension back here. Oh, my gosh. How far away? Wow. I think we were like 40 rows back, 30 rows back. Yeah. Yeah, we had good seats. You'd probably do a bit. What did you throw at someone? Yeah, what did you throw? What's the matter with that idiot? Stop throwing things at me. I was so excited, man. They were playing my favorite Sabbath song. I was all jacked up. You're supposed to throw it if you're not happy. No, I was real happy. Everybody was doing it. Throwing stuff. If everybody jumped off the Brooklyn Bridge. Absolutely. I would have been right there. Is there a parent in the world that's never said that? I think every parent. Not even a parent and I said it. Yeah. Every parent has said it. But your parents said it to you, right? For sure. Woodsy, your dog is on the line. Oh, weird. Imagine that. A little baby. Hi, puppy. Hi, buddy. What are you doing? I'm working. What do you do for a living? On the radio, you know that. That's right. I forget.
You know how come I forget? Well, how come? Because I stare at the walls of the Yale that you put me in. And I get so bored that sometimes I lose my mind. I'm like, oh, I can't even remember. Aw, poor thing. I forget about Mama Yamey. You got spanked pretty good yesterday, didn't you? Yeah, I did, papi. What happened? I was actually talking to Lauren on the phone, and all the dogs were going crazy, and he was being the worst. I spanked him real good. Yeah, you spanked me. I did. You have to be in your Yale because you're a bad boy. But today, today, papi, I need you to let me out early. Okay, I can let you out as soon as I get home. I have to go to addition. Addition? What? An audition? Audition for what? I'm going to be on television. Oh, wow. For what? I'm going to be on Animal Planet. Oh, really? They're doing a new TV show, and I want to try out for So You Think You Can Poop. That you can do. I think everybody knows that you can do that, and I'd be more than happy to let you go out for a while. How can you judge that? You will.
Well, they have professionals. Professionals? They have professional judges. And then, Poppy, I want to ask you because I don't know if I told you, but I have an agent now. You do? An Asian? An Asian? No, not an Asian. An Asian. An agent. Yeah, not an Asian. He said the same thing. Not an Asian. Not an Asian. An Asian. An Asian. An Asian. You guys don't really speak his language. It's okay. It's clear now. But he is going to send me on a couple of auditions. So I... Have you been preparing for these? How have you been trying to get ready? You were trying to eat people food, maybe? Because practicing is so you think you can poop moves. Yep. When Papi was talking to Auntie Lauren. That's right. I heard you in the background making a lot of ruckus. A lot of ruckus. I also trying out for another show called Dancing with the Poops. That's disgusting. American Poopers. We all love pooping. And then I'm sure I will probably make it on one of those shows. But if in case I don't.
I have a couple others that my agent is sending me on to. You're pretty big time now. You are big time. You may be seeing me on the surprise here of the summer, the biggest pooper. Sounds like you have a lot of range. That is wrong. Senor Beans, that's probably all you eat, huh? The poop factor. I'm going to thrive for that one. The Jersey poop is good. And then the real poopers are also doing some auditions I might try for. The real poopers of San Diego County. The real house poops in New Jersey. And then for those of you that are very brainy, I'm going to try out for poop point O. Senior Beans, what is wrong with you? Are you coming to the greet and meet? Meet and greet? I'm going to go to the greet and meet because I want to see all of you guys with your packages because you're going to be wearing a bed. Some sausages? Snausages. Snausages. That's right. Or in Mikey's case, heavy and a sausage. Will you bring your little sombrero?
Yeah, I have to bring my sombrero because it's very little. It's very little. It's so tiny. It's so diminutive, so tiny. Oh. You guys, I have to go. I'm going to try to talk Mama Jamie into letting me into the house so I can go to the bathroom in there. Okay. I'll see you when I get home. I'll talk to you later. Love you. Oh. Wow. He needs to learn to poop outside. Well, you know, hey, he's like a half and half guy. Half the time in, half the time out. Woodsy says that their dogs are barking so much that he's actually considering the collar. The shot collar? He's considering it. Breaks his heart, he said, but he's considering. It gets bad. Makes me cry, dude. You hate it, right? Mikey was over last week, and the neighbors have him, and I remember? I go, hey, that's why I won't do it. The dog goes, and I go, I can't do it, I can't do it. But yesterday? Can I give my side of that story? It wasn't bad at all. Well, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on. All right, okay. Hang on a second, guys. Back up. Woodsy does this thing where when he does the reenactment, he goes, I did it twice. He goes, like that. What did he really do, Mike? He did a, what I, Woodsy, please don't attack me. Please don't attack me. I'm going to attack you, dude. I heard a single, like, I didn't even know it was a bark.
It was a yelp. It sounded like a chirp. It was like, he went, oh. Yeah, dude, it was way louder. You wouldn't have heard that. Oh, I heard it. It was one single, and Woods goes, and Woods was holding a plastic wiffle ball bat, and he goes, dude, did you hear that? And I go, yeah, what was that? He goes, that's that stupid shot caller. And I turn my head to the side to him, kind of like, it didn't really see, and Woods, with that, baseball bat with that little plastic bat. And I go, oh, sorry, sorry, sorry. Did the dog stop barking? Yes. Immediately. And it was done. And then you didn't hear another one the whole rest of the time. See, they learn. They're smart. They're smart. Sick to my stomach. I think about it, too, because I'm about to have a baby. If my dog barks and wakes up the baby, I'm going to kill her. And it's not a case of if in my house. It's a case of when. You'd rather give a little shock than kick it across the yard. I would never kick a dog for any reason whatsoever. Santa did a mistake. Stop!
I would never kick a dog. Tell your story, Sienna. It happened yesterday. Nuh-uh. You did not. You kicked a dog. I was on accident. Oh, look at... She can't see her feet. You guys, I already... I cried about it. I'm sure I would. Because my dog is obsessed with tennis balls, and she's really annoying about it. And throw the tennis ball, throw the tennis ball. It's a dachshund, right? Yeah, a little mini dachshund. And I was walking, and she had the tennis ball right by my foot, and I went to kick the tennis ball, being lazy, not wanting to bend down. And her mouth went to get it. And I kicked her on the jaw. And I immediately was like, woo! Picked her up and got her a treat and started crying. What am I going to do when I'm a baby? I know it. What am I going to do? The U-verse guy came and knocked on my door last night. And I was visiting with him. And I opened the door. And, of course, they were all around the feet. I went to shut the door. Savannah was in the door. Shut the door. Oh, my gosh. Halfway. Thank God it got her, like, on her fat and not on her head. Yeah. I'm like, ah, so sorry. Doesn't that just kill you? It slays you, dude. It's like if you, you know. Step on somebody. Yeah, it's the worst. Has anyone ever stepped on your forearm? That hurts. Yeah. I mean, I used to be in competitions. I used to be in forearm stepping competitions. Wait, why? Like playing a game or something? Just like, maybe you're like. What kind of perverted things?
What are you into? I'm saying, if I've ever been lounged out watching TV and someone goes to use the bathroom, it's got to be one of the places that hurts the most, getting your forearms tipped. This is so weird. Did you live with a lot of blind people? In a commune? Everyone's lounged out. How does somebody miss an arm? Maybe it's under a pillow. I don't know. I'm not the one heavy lead foot stepping on people's arms. I've had my arms stepped on. Have you guys ever had a calf? Have you guys ever had your calf trampled by a mule? Guys ever had that? Oh my gosh, it happened to be last week. Has an orangutan ever given you an Indian rug burn? That is the worst. Or a pink belly? Oh my gosh. It's crazy. It hurts so bad. It's like the worst pain. Have you ever had a shark give you a wet willy? It's getting worse. It's so humiliating too. You're in the water already. Have you ever had a tiger sneeze on you? Disgusting. Ew, that's the worst.
Okay, so we heard this story about this mother in Austria who her son had to get a restraining order on her because she called him 49 times per day on average. On average? On average. That's just one crazy day? No, 49 times per day. What's her bit? Her bit was, according to her, right, Sienna, that she just loved them. Yeah. I mean, but it's, I'm really not that surprised. There are some mothers that are like that. 49 times. Especially with their sons. I am the opposite of a mama's boy. That's good. Well, first we have to define what a mama's boy is, right? Yeah. Somebody else define it. Is it just a grown man who still... Hasn't cut the cord. He needs his mom's approval. What does that look like? Can't say no to his mom. Yes. Talks to her all the time. Are you? What? He just raised his hand. 100%. If you say mommy. I don't say mommy. I'm a mommy. Mama's boy. I don't say mommy. That would be weird. I say mama sometimes. See, and I'm so. Mama's boy. You say mama? Yeah, sometimes. Mommy and mama. I like show call. I go, hey, mama. And I do it as kind of a bit. That's cute. Some degree of a mama's boy is sweet because you're like, well, that's how he would treat his wife. Like, he's got reverence for women. It's nice. Not necessarily.
See, and I do. I mean, I definitely do. But I'm not a mama's boy. Sometimes I treat my wife better than I treat my mom. You know what I mean? But sometimes it's... Sometimes you don't? Sometimes I don't. Wow. Well, I definitely... They're my two ladies. I definitely treat my wife better than I treat my mom. Part of the thing is, though, is I just don't know... That is not to say that I treat my mom poorly, because I don't. No, it's just a different... I don't. It's just that, like, you know, yesterday, I went to visit with my mom yesterday. I don't... I don't... I don't know what to say, you know? Really? Yeah, kind of. Dude, since I moved out here, I haven't really talked to my mom all that much. And I called her this morning, coincidentally, at 4 a.m. She was getting up and getting ready to go to work. So I called her, driving in, and visited real sweetly with her. I can talk to my mom. I can gab with my mom for an hour. Oh, my goodness. That is... For an hour. Really? Yeah. What do you guys talk about? Whatever. We talk about my dad, you know, usually just running smack about him. So when would you say probably like the last time that you talked to your mom was? Probably a week ago. Really? Yeah. Why? Are you going to call me out for something? No. Weird. No, I was trying to get a bit going with Mikey, but he's taking forever. And so it is. Hi, Mama.
Hi. How are you? I'm great. Which is the mom? I just wanted to call you because I miss you. I miss my mom. Now, mom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that this is the fourth time that I've called this hour. I'm not going to engage in this activity with you, Michael. Mama? Yes, Michael. I just was calling you because I want to ask you if something's okay. Okay. You ask anything you want, darling. I want to go see Inception this weekend. Do you need me to buy the ticket for you? If I tell you which showing, can you go on Fandango? I can. I can. And you know what I'll do for you? I'll put a little food voucher on there for you, too, so that when you pick it up at Will Call, you can get some popcorn, maybe some jujubees. I know how you like jujubes. What a great mom. Am I okay to drink the large soda now? No, Michael. Yeah? You know that's not good for you. So which one is it? You're gonna have a medium. I don't want a medium. Michael. No, this doesn't exist. This doesn't exist. Michael. This doesn't exist. Oh, it's making me sick. Mom. Michael. Hoyle. It happens with Hoyle. It's about that. It's never happened with me. You still live with your mom.
You're a mama's boy. You're the definition. That's true. You are. If you look up mama's boy, it will say. It's a picture of Hoyle with suspenders on. See Hoyle Penready. Webster's Dictionary did that one year. That's a joke. That's a joke. Dictionary's doing bits. So what'd this guy do? Did he sue his mom? He sued his mom. Now, here's my question to you. I want you to call me if you're a mama's boy. And be brave. We're not going to hurt you. You can call your mom first, see if it's okay. Or have your mom call in. Maybe defend yourself. Or if you have a grown mama's boy, you could call us. But what I really want is I want women to call and call out their boyfriend or husband that's a mama's boy. I want to hear that so bad. Dr. Laura, you guys know Dr. Laura Schlesinger? Yeah. Do you know that that's like one of her big things? One of her big things is don't be with a mama's boy. That would drive me nuts. It was on the side of one of her billboards. Oh, wow. Yeah, like because they wanted to like, you know, let you know like what she's about and everything.
That was like one of her deals. So what's the bit? Like, I mean, if you talk to your mom, you're a mama's boy. Well, we got to figure it out. There's varying degrees. I want to define. Talking to your mom is great. Yeah. But as the significant other, you want to be kind of more important than the mom. Well, for sure. You know, the mom was the important woman when you were young. Now you should be the important woman. I don't think you're a mama's boy, Woods. I really don't think that you fall. I probably was more when I lived at home. When I lived in Dallas. I don't think you fall into the definition of mama's boy. Not so much since I moved here. Yeah, because I think that Jamie is the more important. 100%. You know what I mean? Okay, so anyway, call us up, ladies, if you are going to call out your boyfriend or husband that's a mama's boy. We want to hear from you. Oh, oh, oh, also, how about this one? Got to do this, too. Michael Jackson's mom, Catherine Jackson, she's the kid's new legal guardian, right? Mm-hmm. Is she going to let those kids of his into show business? We have audio. Number one rock song in the country right now is Linkin Park. The song's called The Catalyst. The word that you are listening for, the word of the day, is blanket when I use that in a sentence, which I have not yet. When you hear it used in a sentence, caller number nine at 570-194-9. We'll win tickets.
to go see the Chargers take on the Bears this weekend. This is something that is very big in our lives, but I want to share with you because it's so exciting to us. And that is construction of Studio M is nearing completion. Yay! So exciting. The Mikey Show will have a dedicated studio just for the use of the Mikey Show, and it'll be here in the building. and it's absolutely gorgeous gorgeous and uh it's been a it's been a labor of love and uh the guys that are working on that thing jeremy and bill and jr the engineers that are working on that thing major who's building the furniture it is absolutely stunning and so cool and we just can't wait to get into that thing and try on the new wares
You know what I can wait to try on is skinny jeans. And I will be wearing those along with Woods and Jay this Friday at our meet and greet downtown, Tipsy Crow, 5 to 7. We'll see you out there. Don't bring cameras, I beg you. Please. Please bring high-def lens. Please don't. Sienna, what's going on in news? Well, yesterday, Defense Secretary Robert Gates announced some serious cuts that he said are required to get us through these tough economic times. When I say cuts, I mean closing the Joint Forces Command that employs about 5,000 people in Virginia and beginning to eliminate other jobs throughout the military. I mean, this is a big deal, but he says this is the first major step to finding $100 billion in savings in the next five years, which is needed. Yeah, it is. Honda has announced a recall of 383,000 cars yesterday. Yes, the older model Accord Civic and Element vehicles. They said that if the ignition interlock mechanism becomes worn out or damaged, it can become possible for the ignition key to be removed while the vehicle is not in park, which would basically mean an unexpected roll away of your car. Yeah, great. Yeah, possible crash. Wonderful. Yeah, not good. We'll see what's going on in sports.
We talked a few months ago about Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing. Been suspended performance enhancing drugs. Well, he's saying now he figured it out. It comes from a syndrome called overtrained athlete syndrome. He was training too hard. Over-trained athlete syndrome. Yeah, that's his story. I had that one. He's sticking to it. I have never actually had that. I've had overactive jaw syndrome. Several times. Albert Hainsworth has completed his first practice as a Washington Redskin. He was back in camp. Mike Shanahan basically said, hey, listen, the guy's late. He's out of shape. He's going to have to compete for a job. Nothing like having a $100 million backup sitting on the bench. Yeah, for sure. M1 Grace is on the line. Are you there, Grace? Oh, Grace. Here. Hi. Hi, guys. I love your show. Oh, thank you, Grace. Grace is calling about the mama's boy topic. Now, this is your ex-son-in-law, right? Yes. What was his deal? Okay, so they've known each other forever, and they finally got married. Wait, wait, wait. Your daughter and your ex-son-in-law. Right. Got it. And he lived with his mom the entire time.
they knew each other of course when they were younger but then all all the way up until he was like 30 and 30 some years old and then they got married he moved out they moved you know they got their own place she would call them almost daily and say okay you guys don't forget um his current payment is due on the 24th and she'd say stuff like um now honey Don't forget, he likes his breakfast like this. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. That would drive me nuts. Oh, my God. You guys have no idea. Needless to say, they are now divorced. And guess where he's living? Mama. Mama. Yeah. Mama. Sounds like mom's just a little concerned. Oh, wow. Oh, please. And she wanted to be the only mama, so she didn't even invite me to the shower that she threw for my daughter. Really? Wow. That's weak. Yeah, listen, you're not doing your kid any favors. Nope. You're not doing your kid any favors if you do that. Oh, my God. Thank you, Grace. I appreciate it. Okay, guys. Have a good day. We'll see you. So, Michael Jackson. His mother is Catherine Jackson. He's got two kids, Prince and Blanket. That's their names. He has a daughter, too. Paris. Paris. How about Cindy and John? Katie. Yeah, what about Katie?
Trevor. Yeah. Nobody's named Katie anymore, guys. Chad. Katie Perry. Yeah. Well, no babies are named Katie. Hot. Well, here's the deal. Because she is the legal guardian of these kids, they were asking her. These kids have talent. They ready for show business. You going to put them in there? What are you going to do? I have noticed talent in all three of Michael's children. Paris loves the piano, and she also wants to be an actress, and she is already. Oh, boy. But she wants to play the piano, and she still plays it, but she plays by ear, and she can pick out any song that she wants to, and especially her daddy's. I bet she's what? Nasty. Miss Nasty, if you're nasty. Prince has a lot of talent also. He's very talented with the camera. It's Miss Jackson if you're nasty. That's the deal. That's what it is. That's what it is. Electronics. And he wants to be a cameraman. So I've called Steven Spielberg to see if we can get him work. Now he's seven, so he's got to get his workman's license. I think it's a good idea because show business didn't really F her kids up at all. So I think that's probably good. It worked out.
Probably for every one of them. Absolutely. Latoya, completely normal. Michael, you know, Jermaine. Bubbles. Bubbles. It's a good call. Great call. I heard that blanket's one heck of a dancer. The world needs more E-True Hollywood stories. Yeah. Make it right for yourselves, Jackson kids. Yeah, you think those kids are good dancers? Oh, God, I bet. Oh, yeah. I mean, Michael Jackson was better than your... Average choreographed, you know, Broadway dancer. Yeah. He's better. He's the best of the best. But you've got to remember, these kids are half white, too. Oh, fair enough. Yep, Lauren says the best rhythm, you've got to have the African-American gene. Generally speaking. Generalization, but... True generalization. Generalization for my race, Mexican, is that we like tortillas. Well, the truth is... I like tortillas. Fair enough. That's just a true statement. And Morrissey. According to Woods, Mexicans like Morrissey. I saw a Latino man yesterday at the beach with a black shirt, white letters, Morrissey. You're dying laughing. Mikey didn't. Why do Mexicans like Morrissey? Here's the deal. It's the Smiths and Morrissey. Mexicans love the Smiths. If you go to a Smiths or Morrissey show, it's 75% Latino. Sorry.
It doesn't mean to say Mexican. It's okay to say Mexican woods. If they're from Mexico. I'm Mexican. My heritage is from Mexico. You're Latino, dude. Okay. I think Latino actually might be more offensive. Is it? No. No, it's Latino. They're Latinos. I don't know. We now have to go on the internet to Google. You know what you do? You go on the internet. You Google 2010 politically correct words. Yeah, right? Yeah. Latino. Let me look. Somebody was over at the house the other day. You can say Mexican. I won't say who. Well, you can say Mexican. People that are from Mexico are Mexican. Okay, Mikey's not from frigging Mexico. But he's Mexican the way that I'm Irish. Yeah. She's not from Ireland. I'm Irish-American. She's Irish. You just said if they're from Mexico, you can call them Mexican. You're not from Mexico. But his heritage is. Fine, let me. It's a Latin heritage. Then let me rephrase. Oh, my God. If your heritage is from that country, you can call yourself that. You are Mexican-American. But what is better, Hispanic or Latino? How about Mexican? I'm a Mexican. But what if someone's from Puerto Rico? And I'm on a Mexican radio. Puerto Rican. Listen, I have to be really clear about this.
I think that all the race stuff just gets so overblown. I really do. It is. I mean, as long as you're, listen, let's just not be hateful to anybody and let's just have a fun time. Take a deep breath. There's the memo. Yeah. Let's just all be, have fun. Mexican Americans don't like to just get into gang fights. They like flowers and music and white girls named Debbie Do. What is this? That's a true statement. Well said. Well said, Mikey. Oh, Sienna. No, no, no. That wasn't me. That wasn't actually. Sure sounded a lot like you. No, no, no. That wasn't actually me. Jay? That was a recording of Cheech Marin, you know, singing that. I could see how, you know. I've been waiting and waiting to play that. He's had his finger on that button for four weeks.
Finally, he was able to use it. Let's talk to M1 Jason. Jason, are you there? Yeah, I'm here. Jason, what was the word of the day? Blanket. That's correct. You won tickets to go to the Chargers and the Bears this weekend. That's excellent. Yep, congratulations, dude. Hang on the line, okay? Yes. Hang on the line. Our twins just turned a year old. We had a lady over at the house with bubbles, and that's all I could think. The whole time that they were blowing bubbles to those kids, all I could think in my head was, bubbles? The chimpanzee from LaToya Jackson. Yeah, LaToya Jackson speaking to the bubbles. Every child loves bubbles. They do. What is the deal? Except for Luke. Yeah. He didn't like it? Care less. Yeah, Luke's like, you got a Maxim? Yeah. The bubbles were fun. I'm the biggest curmudgeon, and I try. Why? I really do try. Because it's also childish to me, and it's for children, Mike.
What do you think it should be? Childish. But I'm watching it. There's bubbles flying in my mouth. Soapy. Maybe close your mouth. Maybe close your mouth, Mike. How about that? Popping on your eyelashes. I'm like, talking to my brother. And I go, so hey, what time do you need to... What time do we have to leave if you need to be at the airport? Did you guys have a bubble machine? No, she had a giant trash can lid. filled with soap and then oversized bubbles. Oh, that is so fun. It's great until it hits you in the face so you look like you're in Ghostbusters. You just got slimed. Have you ever seen those big ones where you can put a bubble around a child? Yeah. I've been in a bubble. No way. I've been in a bubble. You grew up in a bubble. I grew up in a bubble. It's called La Jolla. It's true, but they can put bubbles around kids now. It's great. I want to go in a bubble. I know. This is Levi Johnston. Talking about his breakup with Bristol Palin. What's going on with your personal life right now? Bristol and I have broken up. We're not together. We're just co-parenting. We're doing the best thing we can for Trep. Okay. And what's going on with Trep? Where is he staying right now? No, you're not. Sorry. I just heard that and I thought that's not another... You're not doing the best you can for Trep. You're in Hollywood. She's in Alaska. Yeah. Yeah, you're not doing the best you can for your son. Yeah. Because you're just... A, you've never gotten married and you're not even trying to make it work. Yeah. That's it.
Well, we don't know that. Well, we know the facts that they've never been married. Well, they were just engaged. I'm sure they tried. But that's not doing the best for that kid. That kid's going to be toast. That doesn't mean that they need to get married. It's not always the best. If they're not meant to be, then the kid's going to see them fighting all the time. You can't force yourself to marriage. How about they work it out? Oh, my God. Oh, come on, you guys. That's fantasy land. It is not. Why do we believe that's fantasy land to work it out? That's the ideal situation, and you hope that you can, but if these two people, like, are not meant to be. That's the best situation. This is what I would say to that. I would say another way of phrasing that would be this. Listen, you try your best to work it out, but in the end, if one of you just refuses to change your ways, Because that's what it comes down to. Well, they were never married in the first place. They had a kid while they were dating, and it wasn't a planned pregnancy. So you don't just have to get married just because you have a kid together. It's not about why this. It's about what next. Okay, so if something happened, now what do you do? What's the best we make of the situation? I mean, we all mess up.
I mean, we all mess up, but what do you do with the mess up? Do you go forward and try to do the right thing? But what if he's a total D? Wouldn't she rather have a better father figure? Well, here's what we know about Bristol and Knucklehead, is that these two have tried and do like each other. I mean, according to them, love each other. You know, they like each other, you know? And I say, listen, if you like each other to do the vertical mamba... No, it's the horizontal mamba. Horizontal. Horizontal mamba. That's weird, a vertical mamba. It's mambo, first of all. Yeah, mambo. I like the mamba. Wait, is it mambo? That's the female version. I think it's the rumba. No, a snake is a black mamba. Okay. The horizontal rumbo. You know what we should do? We should discuss it for 20 more minutes. I know. But listen, if they're old enough to do that. Well, I think she wants it. I read an article about her in one of those magazines, the celebrity tabloids on the plane. She wants to work it out. She wants them to get married, and he's figuring out that he can do things like Playgirl and get on reality TV shows. But that was before I saw it. Okay, so Lauren just said it right there.
He wants what he wants. He wants to do this. He wants to do this. I read something very different. Really? I read that he got another girl knocked up while they were apart, and now there's another kid, and Bristol wants nothing to do with him. Now, let's say that's true. Okay. Okay, let's say that's true. It's, again, an example of, I want what I want. I want this girl. I want to slay her. Yeah. I want what I want. I'm telling you that in every... Every time that there's a split up, the reason is because at the root, it's about selfish. On one side or the other. Probably both. But it comes down to, I don't like this. I don't like this. And that's where the argument starts. What it would take to ease it all is one or both sides going, you know what? Let's do it your way. But don't you think that there's part of you that's like, I just think that it's important for the kid, most important for the kid that his parents get along. If they're not together and they get along and are civil and they see their parents happy, I think that's more important than seeing a forced relationship. The only way it's not going to be civil is if somebody refuses.
And that's what not civil looks like. But then why does anyone get in a fight? Someone always refuses. Somebody always refuses. So they're never going to fight? No, no, no. You fight. Then you swallow sometimes. I mean, listen. I don't know. I agree to disagree. I've gotten into stuff with my wife. Right. Everyone has. Right. And what I could do if I wanted to, what I could do is I could go, no. I'm digging my heels in. No. And she could dig her heels in and go, no. And we just go at it. We stop talking the next day. Maybe we fight some more about it the next day. Maybe we fight some more about it. We keep what could end that is one person going, you know what? Let's do it your way. But that's you're already married to her. You know, this is a couple that they were young and they, you know, a mistake happened, turned into a blessing that they had their child. Yeah. But they didn't mean to get pregnant. And now they should be forced to be married. Don't go and play girl. Don't knock up other girls. But even if he hadn't done that, maybe they're not meant to be together. Well, okay. But according to what you just said, the reason that they're splitting up is because dude was out nailing other girls. Dude is a jabroni. Yeah, dude's a jabroni. Dude's a jabroni. And that's what I'm saying. It comes down to dude wanted what he wanted and it was probably a cocktail waitress. He's not an adult yet, clearly. Selfish little boy. That's right. I have to put this out here up front.
The audio that we're going to play when we come back is very sensitive material. It is sensitive material. And so I'm telling you, the Mikey show is, it's not for four little kids. I mean, I'm proud of the fact that you can listen to the show with kids in the car. What you're going to hear when we come back is making news headlines. It is news and it's sensitive. And I'm telling you that now up front. It's the band Cutlass, who will be playing live on the Mikey Show in November. There are five people on the Mikey Show. Myself, Woodsy, Lauren O'Brien, Sienna, and Jay. And we have a new phone screener named Will. And he is going to be with us because Austin went back to school. And so we still have Chris, right? That's crass. That's crass. That's crass. So also want to remind you, meet and greet is...
On Friday. Yes. It's going to be downtown. Oops, sorry. Sorry about that. Hi, Cutlass. Sorry. It's going to be downtown. Tipsy Crow. Five to seven at night. And we'll be wearing skinny jeans the guys will. God. Haven't tried them on. Don't know when I will. I'm not. It's probably just wait until the last minute. Oh. You know what we should do? We should try them on there. And we just go with what happens. I will not do that. But what if you can't even button them or something like that? Oh, well. You just walk out like that? Yeah, I'll just walk around pantsless. Be signing autographs like crazy. Put on some leggings. Yeah. Okay, so what I'm going to play here is pretty sensitive material. It's pretty crazy. This is Mel Gibson's father. His name is Hutton Gibson. He was speaking with... Liberty News Radio. So in other words, do you think the Catholic Church as it stands today, the Vatican, has become politicized to the extent that it's no longer able to take on controversial issues like homosexuality, like some of the other moral issues that we face today? Or is it just unwilling to do so? It's not willing to do so because half of the people there in the Vatican are queer. And they have not.
handled the horrible situation in the church. Isn't it odd that he just has absolutely no clue that he's said anything that is even remotely wrong? Inflammatory. Inflammatory. And what I also find odd is he has no Australian accent. And actually, if you listen to Mel Gibson's tapes, he doesn't have any Australian accent. Isn't he supposed to be from there? They are. Well, I know Mel Gibson is. Mel Gibson is from Australia. But, well, I'll tell you at the end. In fact, they have fostered it because, as I say, they are trying to destroy the Church. What do you think the role, for instance, of the Freemasons and some of the other apostate or satanic elements in society have played on the Church recently? We know that there's a long history of involvement of certain groups like the Masons in the Catholic Church.
What do you think their current influence is, and do they have influence over Pope Benedict? He's one of them. He was one that influenced the last four anti-popes. Well, you say that Benedict, do you think Benedict is a Freemason himself? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Now I'm going to ask you a very controversial question. Do you think that Benedict is a homosexual, in your opinion? I certainly do. Oh, really? Why else would he put up with this? He was in charge of stamping it out, and he did nothing. He just kept quiet. Keep things quiet. Don't do anything. We don't want to disturb anybody. So then when it breaks out, which it had to eventually, now he's changing his tune here, there, and everywhere. He's suddenly going to bring the mask back, and he's going to get behind the thing he always scorned before,
Fatima devotion and stuff like that. He's a slippery character. Wow. I mean, talk about heavy. Yeah, that's deep stuff. Well, here's the thing. So I'm listening to it and I'm thinking to myself, it sounds like he doesn't realize that he's on the radio. Right. It sounds like he doesn't realize that whatever he's saying is going to be public. It sounds like he's, you know, feels like he's speaking freely. Yeah. What he's saying is crazy, and it all goes back to one central point. It's something that is tough, by the way, when you do what we do for a living, because at any moment, I could say something that really offends people. Sure. Because people can be offended by different things. That's offensive to pretty much everybody. But I've said things before that I thought, oh, this won't. offend anyone and then only to hear oh my goodness you know people are really offended by it but in that particular instance I think to myself man you really could have helped yourself by just not have saying you know not saying anything not doing that interview not going on the air your son is where your son is right now stay off the air and if you're gonna go on the air for goodness sake don't talk about anything that's remotely controversial and if anybody asks you to come on to a show
to talk about something remotely controversial. No, ahead of time, they're just trying to trap you. Yeah, and it's not his first time speaking out at all. He said something about Nazis once, didn't he? Yeah, absolutely. And he's vilified all sorts of different religions and creeds and sexual orientations and all kinds of things before. And you hate to see... You hate to see somebody get taken advantage of, and in my opinion, I think he probably did get a little bit taken advantage of by this guy. Because that guy knew what he was going to get when he got Mel Gibson's dad on the phone. There's no question. Sure. His dad's an idiot. He's an idiot. But he knew exactly what he was going to get. You don't call him to talk about the weather or the Chargers or the Padres. You call that guy to get something controversial from him, and he did. Absolutely. Absolutely. 5701949. Our text is 949mikey at gmail.com. I told you it was pretty spicy. It sounded like he was being interviewed by Hoyle, as a matter of fact. That dude sounded a lot like our station manager. I do a lot better job at interviews. Yeah, we know. I do a great job at interviews, actually. So you say? I'm in talks to take over for Larry King. Yeah, right. Hoyle Life. Yeah, it might be Hoyle Life. The Hoyle Hour. That's one of the names that we've thrown around. What else?
We've also thrown around Hoyle it in real good. Hoyle it in. We're considering Hoyle your craft. What about Hoyle's hour of power? I'm writing that down. That's good. Problem is I'm under contract here for seven years. I think Garrett will let you out. I don't think our PD would mind letting you out of your contract. I don't think anyone will miss you. No. I don't even think you really work here. I think you just hang out. I think you just hang out. I think you really work here. I don't think you really work here. I still haven't seen your desk. Office nothing. He's using mine right now. I'm not using it. I'm borrowing it. Oh, yeah. You got your Jenga set up on there. A little bobblehead. I got my Jenga set up on there because Mama doesn't want me playing with it at the house anymore. I don't want you playing with it here either. He's got his Hoyle and Mama bobbleheads on his desk. Mama. What's his Mama on it? You know, we don't have to talk about everything I have on my desk. Some things are rather private. We're not talking about your sugar-free little jelly mints you have. You don't have to talk about my sugar-free jelly mints. What the hell is a jelly mint? I do know. It's a jelly bean, but I call them jelly mints, and she heard me do it one time, and she makes fun of it. I did it one time in the hallway. Jelly mint. I said, do y'all have any jelly mints? And Lauren comes out laughing.
You just said jelly beans. What is jelly beans? They're called jelly beans or jelly bellies or whatever. I don't know what they're called. That's not how I talk. Yeah, it is too. Blondie. Play your drums commercial. Oh, yeah. Well, that's a good one. Good call. Good call. You know, our girl was in a Jerome's commercial. Jerome's? I did not know that. Yeah, Jerome's Furniture. A series of Jerome's commercials. You were? It wasn't just this one? It was a three-parter. Hey, man, she looks like a model. No, I don't! Oh, give me a break. She's supposed to be like Vanna White. Fired up. I'm like this, showcasing the furniture. Yeah, with the white gloves and the tiara and the dress and the whole bit. Fire it up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Website? I'll tell you what, yeah. Can we get it on the... I don't know if we have it yet. Let me see. Let me see. Let me see. I don't think we have it yet. No, we don't have it up yet. We will. We will. Just give us a little bit. And I'll play the audio in just a second. First, I got to do this. Yesterday, we had as a guest on the show, Nick. Nick and Linda. Longest tongue in America. Yeah, his tongue boy. He's been on TV. He's been on all kinds of stuff.
Because he has the longest tongue in America. He's 20 years old. Lauren O'Brien fell in love with him. 21. Come on, I'm not a creep. That would be weird. It's going to be weird if he was 20. Yeah, that would make it perverted. Yeah. So he's 21, and he's got this freakish thing where he's got this long tongue. So he's very popular with our listeners. Listeners, M1s, love him. So we're going to try to get him to come out to meet and greet, okay? So you could get to see his long tongue in our skinny pants, so our skinny jeans. What we're also looking for is any of you who have the freakish abilities. Has anybody been listening to the Mikey Show for any number of years knows I love the freak show factor. I love when people can do weird stuff. Oh, Woods, don't. Do that one. When he flips his eyelids. Oh, I hate that. I hate when he flips his eyelids. No, you can't do it. Can you see that? I can do it. You can do it. Anyone can do it. I cannot do it. I've tried it and I can't do it. Oh, it's so gross. The flipped eyelid. So, if you have some kind of a freakish ability, maybe you're able to. You know who I want to talk to? The dude that puts the nail in the nose? No, I do not. Oh, he is so incredible. I think I have his contact info. I'll hunt him down. Gotta get that guy. Probably skateboard with the guy.
Yeah. If anybody's listening right now and you've got some crazy thing that you do, call us. 570-1949. We want to talk to people that can bend all the way backwards. We want to talk to people that can tie their legs in a knot. We want to talk to people that can, you know. Big giant creeps that are producers. Yeah, big giant creeps that are producers. I can do that. I got you. That kind of deal. 570-1949 or text us, email us, whatever. But we want to talk to you if you have. Some really cool thing that you do. I know what we got. I know what it's time to do. I hope it's what I think it is. I got an email that I really want to see what people think of. It says, Mikey, hey man, I'm a long time listener of yours and wanted to pose this interesting scenario to you and your show. My dad passed away a couple of years ago and left all his money to his wife, my stepmother. Well, she passed away recently and left all the money. to her kids. I didn't have the best relationship with her, but it wasn't the worst either. I don't want to be bitter, dude. I mean, it's just money, but I don't think it's really fair that I didn't see a nickel of his money. What are your thoughts, M1 Chuck? Well, my thoughts are that when you get married, you enter into a legal contract. The legal contract says the woman gets whatever's left.
Yeah, because your kids too. Yeah, it does. If you stipulate that. If you stipulate it. And it sounded like when his dad passed, he didn't. He didn't stipulate it. He gave it to his wife. So she got to decide what is going to happen. And then when she passed, her kids got all the money, which probably some of that was probably Chuck's dad's money. You know what I mean? Well, wouldn't all of it be Chuck? Not all of it. Oh, I get what you're saying. Right, right. But all of his inheritance, I mean, his portion. Right. Okay. All of his portion went to those kids. Right. And this guy's going, hey, man, that's my dad. I know he left it to you because you married him. Hey, you deserve it. But when you pass, you can give it to your kids. You're not going to remember me. My dad's, you know, your ex-husband's son. Son. You're not going to do that? Yikes. Well, he didn't leave it to his kids. He didn't leave it to Chuck. He didn't leave it to Chuck. You know, he didn't, if he wanted them to have it. Doesn't that make sense? He would have put it in there. Yeah, if he wanted Chuck to have some, he would have left some to the wife and left some to Chuck, right? Yeah. So maybe he didn't want you to, Chuck. That's a bummer. Yeah, but did he want, you know, his wife's kids to have it over his own? But that's her choice to do with it what she will. Because he's not living. Because he's not living. Yeah, I mean, morally, I think, yeah, she should give the kids some of the money, but that's the way he wrote it out. What if she was, like, she was privy to information? She knew that he wouldn't want that.
Yeah, what if? What if Chuck wasn't always the best son? Yeah. That could be true. I mean, you don't know. Hey, listen, I get that he's upset about it. Yeah, I would be. That's a bummer for Chuck, man. I'd be. I would be. 570-1949, if you've got an opinion on that. You ever been through that? Got an opinion of that? Or if you have a freakish talent, we want to talk to you. Oh, M1 James does have a freakish talent. What is it? I can kick myself in the head. Oh, wow. No way. Yeah, I actually tried to break the world record once for the most times in one minute. What is the record? It's like somewhere in the 50s, I think. I got like 45. So that's kicking forward, right? Not kicking backward. No back. No forward. I throw my leg up like in front of me. Yeah. And I kick it. Forward. Like up in the head.
Yeah, forward. L-O-B. Not backwards. Forward. He doesn't kick the back of his head. He kicks his forehead. You are flexible, my friend. He really is. Dude, we would love... I could probably do that if I wasn't pregnant. Oh, yeah. I'm freakishly flexible. Really? Yeah. People that do the splits to me are amazing. I can do the forward splits, not the side. That's crazy. I can do the side. Yeah, I can do the side. I'm actually doing the side right now. It's as far as I can go. I've always wanted to be more flexible. Ella B., did you just look at Woods and say, you can? Of course she did. Yes. Hang on the line, James, because we want to get you out at the meet and greet, okay? All right. Yeah. Let's watch him kick himself in the head. Absolutely. Lauren O'Brien is maybe. The most gullible person. I agree with you except for the maybe part. She's a bit gullible. Well, you know, I try to see the good in people. Try to give you the benefit of the doubt. She's a bright sider for sure. Glasses half full on this end of the table. That's right. Not on this one. 570-1949. One of these days we're going to take the picture.
of the girl that does the Fox Morning News. Oh my gosh, you guys are ridiculous. She's a little angel. Is that her? Yeah. Delicious. She's not attractive. Here's what's so interesting. Here's what's so interesting. The guys on the show think that she's really pretty. The girls on the show go, hey gosh. Weird. She's pretty. She's like a seven. Yeah, exactly. A seven? Yeah. She's a ten. They're like, she's an eleven. That makes my mouth water. Exactly. She's a ten. You guys should get glasses. There's other girls on there that are way hotter. I just had a LASIK, dude. I'm seeing her real good. She's an angel. She's pretty. She's really, really pretty as an angel. She's pretty. You guys drool over this girl. She's T-A-T-C. What does that mean, Sabrina? She's a totally average type of chick. Okay, wait. What is that again? T-A-T-C. T-A-T-C. T-A-T-C. T-A-T-C. T-A-T-C. A. Did you say A? A. Swallow what is in your mouth or something. Say A. There's nothing in my mouth. A. Did you just have jaw work done for TMJ? O-M-G. What is? M-E. Say A. A. Go. A. A. This is our weather girl whose job is to speak on the radio and she can't really speak very well. If it were up to me, my job would be being a socialite.
If it were up to you, her job would be what? Being a socialite. Paris Hilton. Kim Kardashian. A social at. She would be my BFF, but she's too old. Say A again. R. Oh. Oh, it's painful. Say your vowels. Do you know what vowels are? Yeah, I know what vowels are. Go to UCLA. Let's hear it. Say it. A-E-I-O-U. See, you got good. And sometimes Y. Sometimes Y. There you go. Y is sometimes a vowel. Sometimes. Nobody knows when, but that's a bit. Well, like the band Styx. Oh, yeah. That would be where Y is a vowel. There you go. She's a smart girl. She's really smart. See? If you get through the veneer, you know. I don't wear veneers. There's my real teeth. That's not what I meant. Oh. What's the weather going to be like today? Oh, it's going to be actually super good. It's going to be. She has no idea. She's looking it up online. She's looking it up online. Weather.com. Yeah, she doesn't even like the job. I love it. Hey, where were you yesterday? You didn't even show up or write or call or anything. I thought it was a three-day weekend. No, you didn't. That's not a true statement. You didn't think that it was a three-day weekend. I did. I was in Tahoe.
And I was like, well, nobody called me and told me I had to be in tomorrow, so I guess I have off. Every Monday you need to be here. Well, not on a holiday weekend. It wasn't a holiday. It was for me. Have you ever seen her sunglasses? Yeah, they're huge. They're gigantic. Looks like she's wearing a welder's mask. I like them. How much do they cost, the sunglasses? That's really rude. It is? Is that rude to ask? It's an inappropriate money question, right? These are D&G. Dolce and Gabbana. You know that. Right. But it's going to be really nice today. It's going to be really nice all week, as a matter of fact. Sunny? Mostly sunny. Yeah, warm. 70, 70, 70, 68, 69. Oh, boy. 71. She gives the weather report. And when she does, she crosses her arms because she looks like she's irritated to even be here. Yeah, but you know what? I'm kind of turning around on the whole thing because you guys have some cute interns. We do. Yeah, like Susanna. Susanna's a cute intern. No, that's not what I was talking about. She's talking about the guys. The guys. The dudes. We have guy interns here? Yeah. I think. Do we have guy interns? Who else would they be? Some dudes walking around the office. Maybe she's got her eye. I don't know. Yeah. Well, she's only 21, so, you know, those are...
Those guys are right around her age. Yeah. Anyway, that blonde chick is T-I-T-C. T-I-T-C. Totally average type of chick. Oh, the girl in the news, yeah. Yeah. That's me. I forgot who we were talking about. I know. The blonde from CNN. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The T-I-T-C chick on. We're going to get a picture of her on the, yeah. We'll find out. We'll get a picture of her on MikeyShow.com. We'll let you decide. What we should do, too, is make sure that we have our web guy, Jared. distinguish female votes, male votes. I want to know what women think. She's pretty. I mean, I'm not saying she's... But you guys, I wish you could hear these guys. She is the most phenomenal woman in the world. I like the brunette better, but I like the blonde. That's what I said. The brunette is so much better. The brunette's a hot piece. Brunette is better. What's her name? I don't know. You're talking about Robin, are you? Robin Mead. Yeah. Robin Mead. Yuck. She's hotter. I'm out. My wife is a blonde. Mine is as well. And so I prefer the blondies. Well, I do too, but I like Robin Mead. I like Robin Mead. Can't even picture Robin Mead. I liked her until I heard her talk. Oh, wow. There she is. Brooke Anderson. Oh, she's an angel. Oh, angel. Fake name, by the way. Brooke Anderson. That is not your name.
We got to get a picture of her on the website, and we got to get it so that women vote and men vote. Yeah. Maybe Donald Duck weighs in. There's some stuff that you think about fitness, and you're completely wrong. Weird. You're doing the wrong thing? Probably. You think you're doing the right thing? I'll tell you next. Singer, actor, vegetarian, Jared Leto. Vegetarian. Think that guy's ever closed any biz? Never. God, dude. Woodsy is dancing for Sienna. You know what's interesting, Mike? That's a rabbit hole too much. When I heard this disc, I was like, that sounds really good in the studio. I bet they're terrible live. Phenomenal. Sounds just like it. It's pretty good singing. It's a great singing. It's a good band. I'm real surprised that's Jared Leto. I know. A lot of people said that about me when I made the transition from modeling.
They're like, sure, he looks good in a magazine, but how's he going to do on the radio? He looks great in men's fitness, but what kind of talk show host will he be? Exactly. Sure, he's really good on roller skates, but what kind of talk show host can he possibly be? Pretty damn good one, if you ask me. Thank you. Thank you, Woodsy. What's going on in news, Sienna? Well, yesterday, Thad Allen. Thad Allen! He announced that the BP well could permanently be sealed off by the end of the week. How about this? Just tell us when it's done. Call us when it's done. I also heard rumors that there could be a storm in the mix. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. Also, if you live anywhere between downtown San Diego and La Jolla, you may have had some mysterious radio interference that caused remote controls to your garage doors.
not to work so people couldn't get into their garage doors this was happening for like two weeks and finally the day that the ut the uni tribune reported the problem it was fixed mom turn the freaking radio off i gotta get in my garage they're saying that it was problem thank you call the military my mom was out of town so i had to wait and she was busy She has them on speed dial. Yeah. Well, the U.S. maker of the garage door opener systems, the guy who runs all of this, said that it's the radio systems on Navy ships that cause the interference. But all of a sudden, like, they were all fixed magically. Amazing. I know. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, Tracy McGrady has a new NBA basketball team, and surprisingly, it's not the Miami Heat. It is the Detroit Pistons. Really? Why you'd want to go to Detroit is beyond me, but he signed a one-year deal, and he will be a Piston. And the Padres have a, I'd say it's a big series because they need to win all three games against the Pirates, who come to town tonight, game time 7.05. Wade LeBlanc against Jeff Karstens. Meet and greets Friday. We're going to be wearing skinny jeans, the guys on the show. All right.
And so we invite you to come on out and hang with us. It's really going to be fun. Really? Oh, no. She's laughing at heart and she hasn't even seen it yet. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Heart's at the sphere. Heart's at the sphere. Heart's at the sphere. Heart's at the sphere. Heart's at the sphere. I'm imagining, like, Mike. No. skinny jeans. No, no, no. I'm standing by a table all night long. Like a royal blue shirt or something. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. I want you guys to be really colorful. Don't be angry. Oh my gosh. I love you guys. It's awesome that you're doing it. I'm showing up and I'm about to have a baby. You think I want to waddle in there? At least that's normal. It's normal. I'm sure you have Mexican in skinny jeans. It's not normal. It is. People wear them all the time.
They're very fashionable right now, Mike. You wear your Smiths t-shirt. My I Heart Morrissey t-shirt. Seriously, if you could go downtown Tipsy Crow on Friday, oh my gosh. If not just to get a good laugh. I would go out tonight. That place is supposed to be awesome, though. It's so fun. It's going to be the worst. You'll see me pounding beers in the corner by myself. He can't do that. I am miserable. Yeah, I can't do that. He's just eating grilled cheeses. Two at a time. Can I get another grilled cheese over here? Hey, bartender, give me another grilled cheese. Are you sure? Are you sure? Yeah, give me another one. Can you whip up some milkshakes maybe? Make it a double. Make it a double. Oh, my stomach hurts. So, Sienna, tell me the stuff about fitness that we think...
Now is a good time to talk about it. Yeah, it is. Don't eat fistfuls of grilled cheese sandwiches. You know how you used to think that was a good idea? It's not. You guys are good sports. I love you. Okay? I love you all. I hate it. Okay, these are five fitness myths that you need to forget because they're not true. Walking is not as effective as running. Everyone thinks that, right? It's not? They say that it is just as effective as running. Walking is because you're covering the same distance and you burn about the same number of calories because it is the same distance. And actually, studies have proved that how long you exercise matters more than how hard you exercise. I feel great because I love to go on walks and I hate to run. You know where I walk? I walk the Burger King. Real brisk walk. You're shaking a burger. Yeah. And I get that thing where I really get the endorphins when I'm getting a Whopper. Absolutely. To the point where I'm like, man, if I don't have that Whopper, I get those endorphins going and I'm like, man, I got to get my Whopper. Got to get it.
Another misconception is exercise increases hunger. It does? It does. No. It does. I think it does, too. I'm telling you. But they're saying that it doesn't. Research shows that exercise has no effect on a person's food needs, with the exception of endurance athletes who exercise crazy amounts. And they need to eat a lot more. Yeah, like me. Yeah. And an endurance athlete. I will never, ever be called an endurance athlete, and I need to come to terms with it. What if you do a hot dog eating contest? Yeah, and I could be. I could be an endurance athlete. You could be an endurance athlete, Mike. Listen to this. You guys know our good friends Lori and Kelly. Yeah. Kelly goes, yeah, he goes, Lori and I are trying to get back into the bike riding thing. He goes, so we were easing our way into it. Just doing 25 miles. Well, today we did 50. Holy cow. And I looked at him like he was Martian. Like he was made of Martian. Oh, my gosh. 50 miles. And I go, 50 miles? Really, he goes, the bikes are so efficient. Oh, yeah. Do they have a motor? Yeah. Unless it's a motorcycle. Does it have a lazy boy attached to it? Does it have a popcorn maker? You know, I figured out my problem with exercise.
You guys know me. I can't sit still. And to be in a room for an hour, it's too long. But you're not still. You're moving. I know. But I get bored. I'm doing the same stuff. Even if it's different exercises or whatever. No. I need to do like a really hard, like 30 minutes, hard as I can possibly go. That's the only way I can work out. I got a friend and his trainer. You know how his trainer trains him? They take stuff out of his garage, and they do stuff with things that are just around. It's like CrossFit, kind of. Grab that jug of water, and he'll make him lift it over his head and run up a hill. Yeah, exactly. That stuff's nuts, man. Yeah, it's not me. When you're driving in your car eating a Big Mac, and you see that couple that's running next to each other, what is that? the deal with that couple. I know. What do you mean? I could never be that couple. I could never be that couple. I would not want to be that couple. I'd be like, okay, I'm really red and I'm not looking good. Just stay over there. I'm really red. I can't breathe. I'm wheezing really badly. Imagine how awkward it is the first time they run together. Like, how are you going to be? Are you going to be able to keep up? Am I going to be able to keep up? Yeah, it's hard. So, I have L.O.B.'s Jerome's commercial on MikeyShow.com right now.
I could play you the audio, but she doesn't say anything. She's the blonde model sitting on the couch in a dress, in a white dress, sort of doing the Vanna White kind of pointing. And over here. And over here, here's a couch. I look like an idiot. She doesn't look like an idiot. Yes, I do. So go to MikeyShow.com, M-I-K-E-Y-S-H-O-W.com. You can see L-O-B's, Jerome's. Furniture. And the website just shut down due to the amount of creepers that just went and looked at that video. Well, there's a better one, but it's not online. Do you guys know what a Lazy Susan is? Yeah, that's those things that you put food on and you spin it on the table. On the table, it's a circle. Oh, yeah. So there's one of me just going back and forth, spinning the Lazy Susan in a red dress. Where is it? It's not on there. Make it right. Okay. All right. I've got celebrity singing. You're going to try to tell me who it is, okay? Okay. This is the greatest. Tell me who you think this might be. If you have a guess, just you could say it. Creepy. Oh, my God. Give us a hint. Actor, athlete. 80s. Okay. Actor. 80s. Had a good buddy. They were known to hang together. Corey. Ah. Corey Feldman. Feldman. You got it. All I knew was the Corys. So I was like, Corey. That was freaking terrible. That was awful. That was terrible.
I'm going to have to publish this playlist so you can see it because the videos of these are ridiculous. Please do it, Jay. That one's crazy to me because as I hear it, I go, listen, someone had a studio. With time in that studio. It was on like TRL. He was on like MTV and he's dancing and he's in a suit and he's got no moves whatsoever. I thought that was audio of him just singing in a bar. No, no. He is full on dancing. The camera's all around. People are kind of clapping like, what is going on? Oh, weird. All right, how about this one? By the way, the name of the song. What is this? Before I start to play it. The name of the song. I know it. Is why do people fight? I know it. Why do people fight? I won't say it. Why do people fight? Why do people fight? What? Tattoo? Is it tattoo? That's tattoo. That's Herve Villachez. Oh my gosh. Tattoo. Why do people fight? That's adorable. Why?
The people have to fight. That should be like a child's nursery CD. Give me more. Why don't people do what's right? I mean, it makes sense, right? When did you cut that album? 1975. What got into you to think, hey, I'm going to go cut a record right now. Hello. What do you mean, what got into me? I was gorgeous. I was A, I was gorgeous. Yeah. Okay, that's A. B, I'm a freaking good singer, man. Did you write that yourself? What, do you think I had a ghostwriter to put that together? I mean, maybe. Listen, the song took me two and a half minutes to write. Because here is the whole song. Why do people fight? Why don't they just do what's right? That's a whole song, man. That's great. I just imagined him alone in the little studio looking adorable. I'm trying to get my mind, too, around what's the style.
What genre? It's old country. It's like nursery. It's French country. It's French country. It's French country and western. He's giving the chipmunks a run for their money. Oh yeah. Big time. Is that William Shatner? That is correct. It's William Shatner. Here on Priceline's Rocket Mound. Oh, wow. That's really bad. He's terrible. Tattoo, we need to save that. The beeper.
And he's not even singing. He's like speaking. He's reading. He's reading over time. The people have to fight. Who wrote this? Hey, boss. Hey, boss. Why don't I just read the lyrics and stuff or sing them? Wouldn't you play that for Jake, though, if you would like it? I'd be like, buddy, why are you fighting with your brothers? Listen to me. Listen, Jake. You should. Little kids would be like, aw. People two syllables right good message turn the card turn the card It's so sweet Can we stop? Stop the music. Stop the music. I can't see the freaking thing, man. I can't see the words on the cue card. The cue card. Hang on a second. Get my freaking agent on the phone. Bernie, lift it. Lift it. I can't see, man. It's not my fault. Thank you.
I told him, I said, lift it up. I'm done, man. I'm out of the house. He rips his little tiny headphones off. Can't you just picture him perfectly, like a little spotlight on him? He's recording it with Walkman headphones. Little tiny Walkman. Little earbuds real good. Oh, my gosh. Let's see. Please play the one. Which one? Oh, the main one? Uh-oh. It's the best national anthem ever. Am I going to be able to guess that? I don't know. I don't know. You probably don't know this guy. You will not. In fact, I could probably just tell you. It's not a guessing thing. It's just the greatest. This is boxer Carl Lewis. No, no. Track. Track. Track. Track star Carl Lewis. It's ungodly. Singing the national anthem. Why? Wait for it. Work it out. It's okay. Uh-oh. He goes, uh-oh. Uh-oh. He goes, uh-oh. Oh, work it out. Here comes the hardest part. Wow. This is the high notes. The high notes. We haven't even hit the high notes yet. Oh, no. He would get the biggest one. And the rockets. I cannot get to that note, man.
Horrific. Was he trying to be serious? Yes, he was trying to be dead serious. And they played, there's a clip. If you look it on YouTube, look up Charlie Steiner, Carl Lewis. He's the anchor for ESPN. Oh, man. He is like, he's laughing so hard. He cannot keep a straight face. You'll die laughing. How would you not, you know? That's great. Tell me who this is. The song is called Treat Your Mother Right. Oh, boy. Oil. Great. MC Hammer. Oh, Mr. T. Mr. T, absolutely. Mother. The celebrities had a lot of messages. A lot of messages, good messages. They wanted to put out the good messages. Treat your mother right. Treat your mother right. Why do people fight? That's the best one. How about this one? You'll never guess who this is. Barney.
I'm going to tell you, you'll never guess who it is. It's the actor Crispin Glover. Oh, he is a weird dude. He is a freak. Strange guy. He should see him dancing in the video. He was George McFly in Back to the Future. Okay. I turned around and I saw a clown. Had a frown. The song is called Clowny Clown Clown. Started barking like a hound. What a nice title. This is an oldie bit of goodie for The Mikey Show. David Hasselhoff jumping my car. Yes. Yeah, Michael, that sounds great. I know you like it Wolfgang. He's my favorite German national treasure. Yeah. Yeah, he's a national treasure. Oh, yeah.
You can obviously sing along with it. Oh, I know every bird. I've seen him in concert 740 times. Did you say you know every bird? Every bird, Michael. I just imagine him grabbing the collar of his jacket, you know? Yeah. That's exactly right, Shannon. I know. It's his signature move. All that clothes is still very popular. They're in Germany. He's a legend, Michael. He's a legend. He knows that. He knows that. He knows that. Who's this? Wow. Bilbo Baggins. That's Leonard Nimoy. Yeah, Spock. Dr. Spock. This morning, Jesse was still here, and I said to Jesse, who's the DJ that comes on before us, I said, have you ever heard this song? He said, heard of it? I've got it on vinyl. Jesse. Wow. See, my deal is, I'm going, how did that start? Who knows? What were the phone calls? How did any of this stuff go? Len, Len, how you doing? Great. It's Bill calling over from Columbia. Hey, listen, we got a project.
I want to see if you're interested. You in? That's just crazy. You like fantasy? I bet you like Lord of the Rings. You like Lord of the Rings? You ever, you know, Tolkien? Why don't you come in, do a read of this, tell us if you like it, and if so, we'll hire a band, and we'll have you sing about Bilbo Baggins. Unbelievable. Another great video, too. One more. Oh, my. Denzel Washington. It is not Denzel. Chris Daughtry. That's a real musician. Oh, that's right. I don't think his voice is that bad. It sounds like this could be like a Seal song. You know who it is? Who? It's Steven Seagal. What? Wow. But the song itself has potential, I think, back in the day at least. Yeah. His voice, however. I'll agree. When we come back, we're going to do Dude, You're Dumb. And finally, some good news that will make you feel good has to do with the air here in San Diego. You don't want to miss this. Do both next.
Welcome back. It's the Mikey Show. There's five people on the Mikey Show. Myself, Woodsy, Lauren O'Brien, Sienna, and Jay. That's right. I want to let you know there is a big meet and greet this Friday, and it's going to be happening at the Tipsy Crow, Fifth Avenue downtown. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're going to be wearing skinny jeans. 21 and up. The guys have to wear skinny jeans. Yes, they do. In a little while, coming up in about 20 minutes, you're going to be hearing Woodsy's brother-in-law sing. And he's really good. He's performing here. When, Woods? He's playing actually tomorrow night at First Street Bar and Grill. Sweet. Yeah, so you can go check him out around 8, hang out, have a couple beers, watch the kid play.
Kind of makes me sick to my stomach. Is that good? Well, we're going to be excited. We're going to hear him in just a little bit. So finally, some good news. It's going to kind of, you know, we don't get to hear a lot of good news about air quality in San Diego. But this one is, right? Yeah, because our weather has been cooler. Yeah. It is now cleaner. Really? Uh-huh. I didn't know there was a correlation. Me neither. I guess it's the cleanest year on the record is what they're saying. This happens when it's colder. I mean, I don't know all the scientific stuff as how they find it out. Right. But they're saying, yeah, that it's a lot cleaner. Good. Just because it's cool. Mm-hmm. Yeah, summer's not, I mean, it hasn't gotten really, really hot. It says from January through July, the county had exceeded the current federal eight-hour ozone standard only five times. There you go. Whatever that means. I got a news flash for you. What? I don't think summer's coming. I just don't think it's going to be. It was nice over the weekend. No, it's nice. I mean, it's nice, but I don't think like summer. I agree. Two months of hot heat. We never really get that summer that you're used to.
Mikey says you do. Not that he's used to. No, no. I know it doesn't get 105 with 100% humidity, but isn't it typically 80s for a month? This is the first year that I've ever been in August and not known whether or not I can go to the beach that day. If you're at the beach, it's not hot. Yo, I know. If you live anywhere else but the beach, it's hot. It's hot. It's hot. Like, give me an AC. I played ball the other day. I was like... It's toasty. I mean, I was way inland, you know? Yeah. Let's do this. You've known them. You've seen them. They may even be you. Woods just points them out. It's time for Dude, You're Dumb. All right, now this is that guy. Dude, You're Dumb is that guy. It's the guy that does stuff that drives you absolutely batty. All right? It could be the guy in traffic. It could be the guy at the store. It could be the guy. And it isn't just the guy. It's the girl, too, that does the goofy stuff. If you have one, call us, 5701-949. Man, I'm laughing because we got some good ones today. All right. How about the guy, the I-changed-my-mind guy at the grocery store. This guy buys a half pound of salami.
Kind of looks around, slides it on some random shelf next to the Oreo. That is every human being on the planet. Listen, why don't you take it back? The lady's not going to get mad at you. You know what? I changed my mind here. Here you go. You don't leave it. I hide it. No, Sienna. Sienna, you don't leave chicken breast by the Oreo. Oh, yeah, she will. The salami and the chicken breast? Yeah, whatever. I don't know if I would do chicken breast, but if there was Oreos, I would for sure leave them by the Dorito aisle or something. I'd do that sometimes. Sometimes. Come on. Everyone does it. You guys are that guy. Be decisive. I worked in retail. And the biggest beating of your part of the job is putting stuff back. It's awful. Especially, I worked in a drugstore. So it was like you put one deodorant back and everything would fall over. And I'd be like, just put it back. I've done it too. And I am that dumb guy. I'm that dumb guy. And the reason I think to myself, I go. Are you really that horrifically lazy? Like, really, Mike? You can't walk back to the deodorant thing and put that back? The other day I was so lazy I left the bananas by the artichoke. I'm still in the general area. Holy cow. I ran into this ass clown at the airport heading to New Orleans. It is packed. I think it's called Hudson News. It's the big bookstore.
I mean, wall-to-wall people. There's a long line on one side, long line on the other. Then there's the magazine rack in front of you. So what does Stretch decide he wants to do? He's going to walk up. He's going to have his bag next to him. We all have our bags. We're trying to get through there, too. I just want a magazine or a book, and I want to get on the plane and go. It's going to take some time. I'm going to open it up. I'm going to read a little bit. I want to see what's going on in entertainment these days. Why don't you just take the $4 out of your wallet, go up, pay for it. You read it on the plane. So he's browsing through the magazine. Hey, dude, it's not the library. Yeah, you're not at the library. Chances are everyone behind you has a plane to catch. Yeah. It's a good chance of that. Maybe he has the layover and he has some time to kill. You know where you kill it? You know where you kill it? You kill it at the gate. But he doesn't know if he wants to buy that magazine or not. Why? It's not the first time he's ever seen it. How do you know? Because I know. And you know what that price tag indicates on the front of the magazine? That you're supposed to pay for it. It means you're supposed to pay for it. Maybe if you want to browse, go to Barnes & Noble. Let's say you're in a store and you're like, oh, that's a cool t-shirt. I'm not going to buy it. I'm just going to wear it around. Sometimes. And I'm going to put it back. I scan through magazines sometimes to check out the crossword puzzle, make sure it's a good one. You scan, you look, you say, oh, it's a good one. I'm out. You don't read it. You don't lick your finger. You don't do the puzzle in there. Turn the page.
The guy that stands there in front of the rack. If you're in a hurry, I would want to jump to him. You almost stabbed him. What about the guy that's the, hey, man, this is my first time ever at a drive-thru. He's going to open his car door to pay for his meal. You're sitting behind him. He's dropping change. You're like, oh, my God. You know what that is? That's the guy. That's the underconfidence driving close to the thing. She parks four feet away from the window. I know. He's at the speaker trying to pay the speaker. You go to a Costco parking lot and practice a little bit. I know. You'll make the reach. It's okay. That happens at the ATM drive-thru, too. Yes. Yes. They're going to get out. Yeah. They have to open the door and lean out of the car. Yes. It's the worst. I've done it. Drives me batty. Drives me batty. Yeah. Everything drives me nuts. So I stay in my house. If you have any, 570-1949 is our number. You can give us a call.
Let's see. So this was interesting to me. So Sienna is talking about her. This is her sister. Her sister's a senior in high school. She's about to be. Yeah, it's nuts. About to be a senior in high school. Wavy. Avalon. Avalon. And Avalon is looking into colleges. Well. Yes, she is. Sienna's mom. has gone on a few of these trips with her to look at the different colleges. Because you can't just decide to go. You have to see the schools. You don't buy a house sight unseen. You have to get the whole experience. She is milking it real good, Avalon. There is something called the internet now. It's not the same. It's not the same. You've got to smell the air, pal. You've got to smell the air. You've got to see the surroundings. I mean, I did exactly what Avalon is doing. I was like, hey, why don't we go check out that school? But I ended up going to San Diego State, you know? And so I really didn't check out that many. But Avalon has made it clear that she wants to leave San Diego. And so she's gone to Santa Barbara. She's gone to Texas. She's gone to San Francisco. And now she wants to hit up the East Coast. And my dad's like, all right, so not only am I having to pay for you to leave the state if you go somewhere, but I have to pay for you and your friends, not just you and your mom.
She wants to go with her friends to check out these schools. Wouldn't their parents pay? No, my dad's obviously not paying for them. That's what I thought you said. No, but he has to pay for the whole trip, and that's expensive. Now, is she going by herself with her friends, or is she going with a chaperone? Well, my mom has gone so far on all of them because my mom lets them have fun and have their own time, too. But she wants to go with her friends on some of these, and I did it. I didn't. I didn't. I always went with parents. I went with friends and friends only, as a matter of fact. Never went with parents. Really? Yeah. When you were on, like, a scouting trip? When I was a senior in high school, that was our bid. Hey, uh... Mark's sister goes to tech. We really want to check it out. We loaded up the car. Five dudes. A couple cases of beer. Terrible. I guess I've gone. Not with friends. I went on my own when I was like 15. What do you actually check out? The girls. The girls. The co-eds. The co-eds. The parties. If you go with your parents, then you have to go on the official college tour by a student and you feel like such a dork. Never did it. But I didn't either. Never did one. So what did you do?
Party. You just go with your friends. I walked around the campus and looked at stuff and went in like the bookstore and bought like a t-shirt and you know. Party. And then you party. We party. Because there's all, you see the frats and sororities and you go out. That's all you do. Yes. There is no, like, you know what? I'd really like to see what the labs look like. I want to check the engineering program out here. I mean, it's important to be surrounded by like-minded people, so you might as well go get hammered with them and see if you like the same jokes. Exactly. Right, and then you just get the whole general atmosphere and people's style and what they're into. I'm having nightmares. Why? Because I have three boys. Yeah, you're a dead man. But we turned a trip. There were three friends, and we told our parents, hey, we really want to go see Auburn University. And Auburn, it's in Alabama and we lived in Dallas. So we loaded up one of their dad's cars, drove out there. We were at Auburn for 15 minutes until we found out it was two hours away from Destin, Florida. We spent the whole week in Destin. We got back there like, so how was Auburn? We're like, yeah, I don't think it's for us. What's Destin? Destin. It's a beach town. Good with the young people. Good with the young people. Woods never looked at any, you know, like.
all-male schools. No. Zero percent. Oh, yeah, right. Who did? Who wants to go on that college tour? Isn't Brown University all-girls? No. No, it's an Ivy League school. Ivy League. What am I thinking of? St. Mary's. St. Mary's in South Bend. Vanderbilt? No. Vanderbilt's all-boys. What am I thinking of? What starts with a V? Is Vanderbilt all-boys? No. What do I know? Vassar. Vassar. Vassar College. Yeah, Vassar's all-girls. Yeah. Vagina. I went, what? What just happened? What just happened? What just happened? Vagina College. I just said it. It's a real place. You just spun Mikey out. It was like I hit black ice on the road. And I was going 80 miles an hour and I hit black ice. What? You didn't even put it in a sentence. I just said it. It came to my brain. You just shot Marvin in the face. Mikey's sitting there like having a pleasant conversation. Talking about all boy colleges. Woods throws that word out and Mikey does a complete double take. What? And realizes, do I hit the button? Is that bad?
I know, but you never know. I don't have to hit the button. It just didn't have any context. It was a little strange. Not even in a sentence or anything. It's not the word of the day. Oh my gosh. Goodness. What's the deal with the Naomi Campbell blood diamond deal? I don't even know what this is. Okay, I was so confused about this yesterday, too, because this story was everywhere yesterday. Apparently, the day before Naomi Campbell was in court over this diamond fiasco from Charles Taylor, who was Liberia's president. Now, Charles Taylor has been in court. He's on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Charles Taylor? Who's that? He was the Liberia's president. Liberia is a country. This is years ago. Yes, this is years ago. This has been going on for like two and a half years or something like that. Got it. So he's on trial for war crimes and crimes against humanity during the wars in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Okay. Now, prosecutors are attempting to link these diamonds that apparently he gave to Naomi Campbell. Pause. Woodsy, have you seen the movie Blood Diamond? I watched half it and fell asleep. Have you, L.O.B.? I have not. How about you, Jay? Yes, sir. Okay, because I don't know what a blood diamond is.
It means like the civil wars and stuff that are going on because of the diamonds. Okay. Blood has been shed as a result of China. Because they want the diamonds. It's not like a cut of a diamond, like an emerald cut or a princess cut or anything like that, right? I knew that the general principle was that people's lives are on the line because they want these diamonds so bad. Well, prosecutors are attempting to link these diamonds to Taylor, Charles Taylor, to prove allegations that he received blood diamonds from Sierra Leone. rebels and purchased weapons with them. Now, what they're saying is that Naomi Campbell was given these diamonds from Charles Taylor. And we don't know how she knows him. And she said that she didn't get them from him, but she was given diamonds. She's related to Nelson Mandela. She is? Interesting. Okay, so there's that connection, right? With this guy. Okay, so how does Mia Farrow... She was at that dinner. Yeah, apparently she saw Naomi Campbell the next morning after she received the diamonds. And Naomi Campbell said that she was given one diamond.
From Charles Taylor. He gave her one diamond, and that's what she told Mia Farrow. But Naomi Campbell in court the day before had said, no, I got a few diamonds that I was planning to give to the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund, and they weren't from Charles Taylor. So this is like this big investigation. Where did these diamonds come from? Were they from Charles Taylor? How many did you get? Accepting a blood diamond? Knowingly, probably. Knowingly accepting a blood diamond. Okay. I don't get it. It's weird. Because I've never seen the movie and I don't know anything about it. I don't know why they're illegal. The struggle. Yeah, I mean, I didn't know that they were illegal. I'm sure somebody will tell us. Somebody's on the line right now. Oh, perfect. Yeah, somebody's on the line right now. Go ahead and put them on hold. Jay, tell them to put them on hold so I can pick it up. I want to know. Hello. We go to Blood Diamond Expert on line one. Hello. Who is this? What's your name? Hi there, my name is Pete. Pete, you know about the blood diamond stuff. Yes, I've seen the movie. I did a little research on it, and most of it is of the facts that goats are used to smuggle the diamonds from one country into another by herding them across for food and export. Okay, and so the reason that it's illegal is because they're exploiting goats?
What they're doing is that they're cutting the goats and putting the diamonds in a bag inside the skin of the goat. Oh, that's bad. And these things look like dirty pebbles, don't they? Correct. Okay. They pull them out, yeah. And that's what Naomi Campbell said that she was given. Dirty pebbles. They look like dirty pebbles. Thank you. Thank you for the call. That's what I call the boys. I had no idea I had anything to do with goats. Here's Naomi Campbell on it. Okay. I opened my door and two men were there and gave me a pouch and said a gift for you. And there was very small, dirty looking stones. Dirty. So dirty. Who would want a dirty, like... Thanks. Michael, you don't want dirty pebbles? No, I don't want your dirty pebbles. Get your dirty pebbles off my chair. So that's what she said in court. And now actress Mia Farrow has testified yesterday, which is why you probably saw these stories yesterday. And she said, no, Naomi Campbell told me. Yeah, here's Mia Farrow. As I recall it, she was quite excited and said... It's really weird because as Mia is telling the story, she's playing a synthesizer.
Which is really strange because you wouldn't think that she would do that in court. She's the bathroom of a rave. She travels everywhere. She'd be chewing on a candy necklace. She's the bathroom of a rave in London. As I recall it, she was quite invited and said, in effect, oh my God, in the middle of the night last night or last night I was awakened by knocking at the door and it was men sent by Charles Taylor and he sent me, as I recall, a huge diamond. That's a weird. Party. What a weird story. It's a weird party with Mia Farrow. Mia Farrow doesn't remember anything else, but she says, as I recall a bunch of times, that Naomi Campbell told her that. Charles Taylor sent her this one diamond. But she doesn't remember how old her son was at the time of that. Big details that you would remember during that time. Is it strange that Mia Farrow and Naomi Campbell are at a party together? Yeah. Really weird. Very. With the Statue of Liberty and George Washington? Yeah. The whole thing is just weird. Oh, boy. You want to play some TomTom tunes? Call us right now, 570-1949. You know what else we're going to do when we get back? We're going to hear Woodsy's brother-in-law, who's going to be performing where, Woodsy? The First Street Bar and Grill in Encinitas. His name is Ryan Honeycutt. Ryan is going to perform for us right here in the studio next. Put that on there just for me. I know you hate it. I don't know why.
Because every time I hear a Red Hot Chili Peppers song, I feel like I've heard it 900 times. First time I hear it, not a Red Hot Chili Peppers song. Hey, don't forget, Independence Jam is going to be great, man. FM 94.9's Independence Jam, Coastal Invasion 2010, presented by Miller Lite and Scion. Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, Rogue Wave, The Wigs, Delta Spirit, local band Delta Spirit. It's going to be good. Now, there's a great thing to consider about it. $30 gets you everything. Going to be August 29th, Oceanside Pier. Lots of fun. Go out there and support. It's going to be a good show. We're going to be hearing Woodsy's brother-in-law, Ryan Honeycutt. He was going to be at the First Street Bar and Grill tonight? Tomorrow. Tomorrow night. Tomorrow night. And Woodsy has told me about Ryan for a long time, man. I know it. I'm excited to hear him play. He's really good, dude. I'm excited. Meet and greet this Friday.
Come out and meet us. We're all going to be out there, and the guys have to wear skinny jeans. God bless. It doesn't get any easier every time you're sitting. It actually gets worse. Yeah, it does. It's getting closer and closer. Oh, I'm dreading that. I'm dreading it. Let's come up with something else. Can we do something else? No. Maybe shave my head? It's a done deal. You shave my head? I'd love to. Let's play some TomTom 10s. Let's do it. All right, here's how we do TomTom 10s. We have the TomTom girl here. She's the actual GPS device. Hi, TomTom girl. Hello, Mikey. How are you? I'm doing adequate, Mikey. Yeah, she, as you can see, doesn't have any emotion. She's a GPS device. She's doing adequate. Yeah, she's doing adequate. I'm functional, Mikey. That's good. Be hard to fall in love with TomTomGirl because TomTomGirl doesn't really have emotions and feelings. She just simply gives data and information. Yeah. I beg to differ, Mikey. Really? I've had many suitors. Well, maybe you have, but, I mean, do you feel emotion? Can you love? I can love if you can love. If I can love, you can love. All right. Well, let's try this. Hurt, sadness, fear, Mikey. Hurt, sadness, fear. That's anger. That's anger. And one Robin from Mira Mesa. You there? What's up, guys? Not too much. So, Robin, here's how this works, okay? TomTom Girl is going to read you the lyrics of a song, and you have to tell us what the song is. It's not easy. The reason it isn't easy is because she doesn't have the inflection. She's a machine.
She has a GPS device. She doesn't have any inflexions, so it's not as easy as you think it is. We're going to give you 30 seconds of the song, and hopefully you can give us title or artist within 30 seconds. Are you ready? Sounds good. Go ahead, TomTom Girl. On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair, warm smell of colitas rising up through the air. Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light. On a dark desert highway? Cool wind in my hair. I need title or artist, sir. California. Yeah. You worked it out. Great tune, isn't it? Such a good tune. What is Kalitas? It is a indigenous bush. Is it? Something smells good. Somebody write me and tell me what Kalitas is. I've been wondering for the last 30 years. Me too. Thank you. M1 Robin, you're a winner. Hang on the line. Maybe Google it. M1 Brian from Poway. Yeah, I'm here. I don't know if it's going to be that easy for you. Uh-oh. I'll tell you this. Hotel California, those lyrics are pretty recognizable. Now, when you're having to deal with a machine, reading you lyrics, it's not always that easy. Are you ready? I'm ready. All right, TomTom girl. The angel opens her eyes. Pale blue colored eyes present the circle. Puts the glory out to hide.
Oh, I feel it coming back again. Like a rolling thunder chasing the wind. Forces pulling from the center of the earth again. I can feel it. Brian? That was live. Lightning crashes. Sounds just like Tom Tom Girl. Not as easy as you think. Seriously not. It's hard. Since our phone lines are full right now with people playing the game, I looked up colitas. What is colitas? A marijuana bud. Word used in Hotel California, not made up by the Eagles. Wow. It's like a slang for weed. Yeah, that's what it says on Urban Dictionary. One smell of colitas. Yeah, the warm smell of colitas. It gave me colitas in a Spanish sentence. Woodsy, can you say it just like that? Colitas. Colitas.
Wow, not bad for a white guy. Really good. I'm more Mexican than you are. You are. I mean Latino, sorry. You can say Mexican. M1 Melissa from OB. Are you there? All right, are you ready to do this? Well, Movie Phone Guy hasn't been here for a while. I think he died. I think he died. He was in a bad picnic accident. Yeah, you know, I've been trying to convince Movie Phone Guy to come back to the show. But for whatever reason, when we get together in meetings, he just doesn't want to come back on the air. I think he drowned. He was at a picnic. Yeah, I don't know. But all I know is that I miss him. You clearly miss him. But we can't. Tom Tom Girl must be missing him. Yeah, Tom Tom Girl, do you miss him? This is correct, Mikey. This is correct that you miss him? When he's not acting like a buffoon, Mikey. Did you guys ever? Yes. I wasn't going to ask that. Oh, I wasn't going to ask that.
I was going to ask, did you guys ever become a couple? It depends on how you define couple, Mikey. Horizontal mambo. A TomTom machine, really? Yes. I mean, how awkward and weird is that lovemaking? So weird. Let's just say our signals were synced up, Mikey. Creepy. Very. You ready? All right, here we go. Go ahead, TomTom girl. Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality. Open your eyes. Look up to the skies and see. I am just a poor boy. I need no sympathy. Because I am easy come. Easy go. Little high, little low. Oh, wow. Any way the wind blows. I know this one. Does not really matter to me. M1 Maylisa. To me. What is that? I know it. I know it. I know. That's what makes it so hard. I'm going to say the chili peppers because I can't figure it out. I only know the beginning, how it goes. I can't think of who sings it. You're going to kick yourself when I tell you, Maylisa. You're going to go, yes, that's it.
it it's queen bohemian rhapsody escape from reality oh that's good right sorry about that may lisa thank you that's okay better luck next time you'll try again uh okay i love the tom tom tunes i do too it's it's amazing it's hard to do it is i mean i have the answers in front of me sometimes and i'm like i i don't i still don't know uh all right well Ryan is in the studio with us, Ryan Honeycutt. And Ryan is Woodsy's brother-in-law. Yep. Austin, Texas, baby. Austin, Texas is going to be playing at the First Street Bar and Grill tomorrow night. And, yeah, it was kind of interesting. We were talking off the air, and you just kind of went in and said, hey, man, can I play? Hang on a second. Let me see. Make it right. Try again. Test. Woods, test it out. Got him? Nope. Hey, buddy. Get him over here.
Got to be real hot. Yeah, talk right up to that mic. Oh, I got him. There we go. There we go. That's a little better. Okay, yeah, that's better. That's better. So, yeah, so how did you get the gig, Ryan? We just walked in and talked to the bartender, said they had an open slot, and tried to see if I could come in and play a couple tunes. That is, hey, Jay, that is super, super low for whatever reason. Can we crank the... I get cranked. You do? Yeah, I do. Yeah, and I got this turned all the way up. Scoot him up. Yeah, scoot him up a little bit. There we go. How's that? Better? Check. Oh, wow, now it's too hot. Check, check, check, check, check. It's too hot. Try it out, Ryan. Test. You good? There we go. Yeah, back it off a little bit, Jay. Hi, one, two. There we go. Okay, so which microphone are we going to use for the guitar? Got it. There we go. Technical difficulties. It happens. It's alright. It's alright. So, Ryan, what song are you going to play for? I'm going to play a song I wrote called Surrender. Okay. It's kind of a realization tune about being with somebody. It's kind of an acidic relationship. Something that's not worth fighting for anymore. Okay, cool. Let's make sure that microphone is right next to the guitar. Here we go. There we go. Softly I surrender.
Real good. Beautiful. I had to fight back the tears on that one. You know what's great about that? It's not too often where I'll hear a brand new artist I've never heard, and I'm like, ooh, I want to hear more. He's amazing. You guys know I've been bragging about him for the last seven months because I played with him a lot. We jammed together all the time, and I'm so bad. compared to him and we play together in Mexico and he goes, hey, I want to play you this song I just wrote. And I had these big sunglasses on. I was sitting there and I had tears pouring to my face. Pouring. Stone cold sober, dude.
That's great. Amazing. Really great. Your voice is like butter. Are you on Facebook and stuff? Yeah. Okay, we need to put all of his information up. Ryan Honeycutt. Find him on Facebook. I'll post it. Yeah, on our Mikey Show page on Facebook right now. Hey, Ryan, do you have anything recorded like demo-wise on it? In the process, kind of working on it. You can find him on YouTube. He does a bunch of tunes on YouTube and probably a lot more now. Great melody, dude. Great melody. It's still in my head. Put it up on your blog, Woods. Yeah, absolutely. Maybe we'll all put one up. Okay, and again, where are you going to be tomorrow? Because every girl, if you're single, please go. You're going to want to see him. First Reborn Grill. In Encinitas. Okay, wow. Yeah, I'm sure he has a real hard time meeting ladies. He's a good looking guy. My goodness. All right, let's see. We got to do an early, don't do this very often, but we got to do an early sign off today because I have to go get, talk to my surgeon. And so I have to do an early sign-off, but it's not that much earlier. Yeah, we'll be right back. Welcome back. Hey, darling. This is Stike. Tonight's 8 o'clock album, Talking Heads, Fear of Music. Meet and greets Friday, and myself and Woods and Jay are going to be wearing skinny jeans. Don't say it.
Skinny jeans, in case you didn't hear that. Don't say it. Skinny jeans. Skinny jeans. If we don't say it, it won't happen. It's happening. It's not happening. You're going to look great. I'll eat Indian food again. No, you're going to do great. You're going to look great. You're going to love it. Zero percent do both. Yeah. I'll eat horse feed. Be careful what you say. I know. You better sniff your lip, pal. You say things like that and got you in this mess. That's what got me into it. I'll eat filet mignon and cheesecake. I'll do that anyway. So, okay. Why have a million pounds of beef been recalled? Why? Well, because there's E. coli in it. E. coli. Why do I want to say that every time? Because it sounds like E. coli. I know. Well, consumers are being warned to check their freezers for recalled beef that may be contaminated with E. coli. Just had spaghetti last night. Just that. Really? That's probably why you don't feel well tonight, Mike. I'm sure you're fine. Oh, wow. That's why your belly's got bubbles. You look a little green, actually. You got belly bulbs. Oh, no. No, no. These are ground beef patties that were sold in bulk and produced between October 2nd, 2009 through January 12th, 2010. And they were distributed to retail outlets throughout California, Texas, Oregon, Arizona, and overseas. So there are some in our state. People put them in their freezer so it stays. Oh, yeah. Great.
So, be careful. You'd think that the cold would kill it, but maybe not. It's from the meat processor Valley Meat Company. Preserves it. Preserves it. Yeah. Encases it. Mummifies it. Great. But if you... You thaw it out and eat it. If you cook it at 160 degrees, doesn't it kill all the bacteria? Thought so, but... Apparently not. Don't chance it. You could avoid getting sick if you cook it. That high, I'm pretty sure. I guess no more handfuls of raw ground beef for us. Oh, man. I'm going to miss it. You know there are guys that do that. Oh, I know there are. Yeah, Jacob from Twilight. He does that? His one wasn't raw. It was cooked. Are you sure? Yes, I read it in GQ. Really? Yeah. I'm sure you didn't read it in Teen Beat. I read it in GQ, pal. I'm bringing it in. Bob makes it okay that you know. Yeah. No, dude, I read it in Playboy. It was Tiger Beat. It was Tiger Beat. Teen Bob. What did I say? Teen Beat? Teen Beat. Teen Bob. Teen Bob. All right. Well, I'll see you later. See ya. You've got to sign off a couple minutes early. Let's see. Hillary is in here. Hill.
Hi, Hill. Hi, Hill. No one gave me the heads up. I know. So I was just on the web 63 South. I know. Cutting people off. Well. Like, lowering it. I was all, what? I know. You have to leave early? Oh, my gosh. I know. Only five minutes. It could be the Sienna show, you know, if you needed it to be in a few minutes. I know. Be terrifying. Hi, it's Sienna. I like Chanel. Salvatore Ferragamo. It's just all the stuff she likes. I know. Oh, I love that. Oh, I love that. Nutty bars. Warehouses. Hilary, what do you have? What do you got coming up? Well, I only had time to grab one CD, so I grabbed. Vampire Weekend. Yeah, that's all you got. Yeah, so I'll grab a few more. I know. I screwed up. I'm sorry. No, it's okay. You blew it. You clowned up, pal. Real good. Way to go. Well, I'm headed to the surgeon and going to get an official surgery date. And, you know, that's why my voice is all scratchy because I don't even know what it is. So we'll find out. And then I know that I have a...
repair that they have to do on my stomach. Sounds amazing. Yeah, sounds like a party. Can't wait, yeah. Kid will come over. We'll watch some movies together sweetly. Yeah, be real sweet. Keep you company. Be great. Yeah, snuggle up. All right, well, the lovely and talented Hillary is up next. Enjoy the rest of your day, and what we'll do is come back tomorrow morning at 6. We'll do it over again. Mikey Show's out.
