The show featured Mikey, Woodsy, Lauren O'Brien, and Jay discussing a lost iPhone prototype after Bryce Taurus admitted leaving it in a Mexican bar, a McDonald's iPad scam where a buyer got wood instead of a tablet, and a shark sighting that closed La Jolla beach. They also talked about transgender issues sparked by a David Letterman interview, the rumor that Tupac's ashes were smoked, and exchanged dating‑advice lists that highlighted their differing approaches to relationships. Later, Woods presented an x‑ray of a Wipeout‑injured ankle that Jay doubted, and the hosts played a clip of Oksana Gregorieva's attorney plugging her album during a court hearing. Throughout, the hosts argued about the truth of the iPhone OS claim, the sincerity of the dating tips, and whether Woods' ankle was actually broken.

Welcome to the program, everybody. It's the Mikey Show, and we're ready to go. Phone number here is 570-1949. Text us, 949mikey at gmail.com. Real quick, word of the day, continent. Not incontinent, but continent. And when I say that, between now and 10, caller 9, I'm going to give you a four-pack of tickets to see the Chargers and the Niners tonight at Qualcomm. And so good news for you. Just be listening for that word. I'm Mikey. That's Woodsy. That's L-O-B. That's Jay. And our phone screener is Chris. That's growl. Maybe Apple should keep an eye on their new products and not let employees take them, especially when employees are going to drink. You know, because like last year, somebody was drinking at a bar and you get a little tipsy.
And maybe you forget the prototype of a brand new iPhone that's coming out. And you have it on your person. You work at Apple. And you leave it there on mistake. And it's found. Because that's maybe what's happened again. Yes. Convenient. Yes. It's very. Well, so you guys suspect. It's a bit marketing. Smell suspicious. Yeah. Something smells suspicious. It's marketing. It's marketing. Maybe they come up with an app that tells you when it's left behind. It goes, whoop, whoop, whoop. Yes. That'd be a good idea. Another employee appears to have left a prototype iPhone in a Mexican bar. Mikey. Hey, Woods, one of us is wearing a poncho right now and one of us isn't. Mikey. It's a true statement. I'm freezing. So it happened in San Francisco's Mission District. And here's what they say about the thing. CNN has not confirmed this report. And CNET, which is the tech site that was reporting about it, says that there are very few details about it. But this is what they said. This year's lost phone seems to have taken a more mundane path.
taken from a Mexican restaurant and bar, and may have been sold on Craigslist for $200. Mike, this is Bryce Taurus. Hi, Bryce. I can confirm. It is, in fact. It was me. I was in the Mission Hills district yesterday. That's the mission. The Mission. Sorry. The Mission. The Mission District. The Mission District. Right. I was there. Okay. I'd had a couple of margaritas. Right. With my friend, Bruce. And we, I forgot it. And I'm sorry. I apologize. Bruce and Bryce. Yes, Bruce and Bryce. It's funny. Wow, you guys are quite the duo. That's true. I bet you get a lot of jokes about Bruce and Bryce. Not so much jokes about that. Okay. But jokes about other stuff, for sure. Like the fact that you're wearing rollerblades. Yes. Okay. Tight shorts. Pink tight shorts. By the way, they are not saying what kind of operating system this sucker was running on, but... I can tell you it was running on Lion. It was running on Lion? Yes. Okay, that's impossible. So you are not telling the truth, Bryce.
Says who? Says you? Yes. It's running on Lion. You don't know anything. You think you do, but you don't. Are you just trying to get some fame, maybe 15 minutes? I've worked at Apple for six weeks. It can't run on Lion. It's on Lion. It can't. But it is. But it can't. But it is. What do you know? Do you work at Apple? I know things. Do you work at Apple? No, I don't. I do. See this? It's my Apple key card. Do you have one of these? You just showed me a Chevron card. Yeah. You thought if you flashed it quickly, you wouldn't. If you did it real fast. I just saw a Chevron. This is my Apple key card. Just move on. It's on Lion, and it's lost, and it was my fault. Well, there you go. There's Bryce Strauss, everybody. He's a clown. I think what they hope happens is people blog about it, and then people comment on what they like and they don't like, and then maybe they go back to the drawing board while it's stealing prototypes. That's right. It's a genius move. Yeah. I want to you. You guys are probably going to be shocked by this, but when that new iPhone comes out, I'll probably get it right away. You're kidding. What? No way. You're going to wait in line? You're going to pay Chris to wait in line for you? No, I won't go that far. But I will get it. I thought you didn't have any allowance left. I don't. Your phone is in pristine condition. I just got this. I got to get a new one?
You'll want it. I know I will. Yes, I do. You will shame me into getting a new one. I won't. I mean, now that you've got an iPhone, you're good. Good to go. All right. In fact, I'll be like, ha ha, you don't have it. Yeah, that's true. That's true. Isn't there a new iPad coming out, too? Oh, boy. Yep. I called dibs on your old one. Let's see. Woodsy? Yes. What is happening in sports? Well, there's some exciting news that the blackout has been lifted tonight for Chargers 49ers. So we'll get to watch some football. Good. You won't see one play, my friend, because it will be televised at 7 p.m. on Channel 8 and you won't be able to see it. I'm sorry for that. Good night, sweetheart. 7 p.m. Some of us will be able to see probably at least the first time. I will have been asleep. For an hour. That is a true statement. Also, there was a rumor, as usual, on a website in the Bay Area, or actually out of L.A., saying that it is a fact that the Spanos family is going to sell the Chargers and relocate to Los Angeles. So the leader, or the guy that runs this website, writes Mark Fabiani, who's the spokesman for the Chargers, and says, hey, what's your response? And he said, not gonna happen. And that was it. Really?
Do you believe it? I want to. My heart wants me to believe it that they're not leaving here. I heard that the Spanos family likes the burritos here too much. Then that is the reason they're staying. Fish tacos. I hope it's a lie. I hope they're not going anywhere. It would be awful. Let's see. Apparently, on Monday, a 22-year-old woman In South Carolina, went to buy an iPad and went to the Apple store. Excuse me, not from an Apple store, but from a Best Buy. And she decided that she, I'm sorry, I totally screwed up this story. Reset. Reset. What I meant to say was that she should have bought it. At a Best Buy or an Apple store. She didn't. Instead, she decided she was going to buy it from a couple of dudes in a McDonald's parking lot. Were you there? No, I wasn't. I was not. But that is a good question. I was not. It's a valid question. Yeah. It's fair. Didn't make her suspicious, by the way, that they were at a McDonald's parking lot. Didn't make her suspicious that they showed up in a white Impala with no rims. It didn't make her suspicious.
When one of the men had a shiny gold tooth, which is also true. And finally, it didn't make her suspicious when they wanted $300 for a brand new iPad that retails for $500. Or, this also didn't make her suspicious when they actually said, okay, we'll take $180 since that's all you got. Now, when she got home, she opened up. The FedEx box that they'd given her with her new iPad in it. And instead of an iPad, it was actually a piece of wood with a logo of an apple. Oh. A logo sticker on the back of it. But you buy it sight unseen. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. When I read the story, I thought that our friend... Lauren O'Brien would possibly buy an iPad in a McDonald's parking lot. No chance. I think you would, but I think you would have opened it. Oh, for sure. No chance. When it comes to electronics, I won't buy it. Now, if it's perfume or other stuff that's overpriced, yes. You'll buy perfume on Craigslist.
Yes. And eBay. And Walgreens in the parking lot. Yeah. I've done that. Sure. Yeah. Well, I mean, who hasn't? Out of a trench coat? Yeah. Yeah. Well, that lady's bumming. She's bumming, man. I mean, she kind of deserves it. Come on. Well. Darwinism. Those guys must have been shocked. Yeah. They're like, this works. She didn't even look. She didn't look. She didn't even look. Could have put a turd in there. We should have put a turd in there. Spent $5 on a piece of wood. What would have happened if she would have said, can I see it? They would have run. They'd have run? Yeah, they would have run, jumped in their impala. Okay. I think. Or they could have gone, oh my gosh, we were ripped off. This is insane. Yeah, that's true. Okay. Yeah. Because it made me think, that's what Jay does. Steadily. Yes. When he's selling the coffee cups that he steals from here, that's what he does. That is true. That is true.
Why are you playing that music? San Diego is close to a two-mile stretch of beach because surfers have reported seeing a third shark in less than a week. Three surfers and two boogie boarders spotted a foot-tall dorsal fin. And blow and blow. Sorry. Wrong one, huh? Gay shark. Yes. So anyway, it was a foot-tall dorsal fin. About 1.30 in the afternoon today. There you go. In the La Jolla area. They obviously evacuated the area. Declared it off limits to everybody. No swimmers in the water. For 24 hours. And one mile for each direction. So it's a two mile stretch. The shark's dorsal fin was also spotted at another beach. We talked about that before, remember?
I believe that it's a great white. I had a friend that was diving, and as he was going out to spearfishing, a kid told him, he said, hey, man, the beach is closed. There's a shark out there. Yeah, sure. Went and did his dive thing, came back. There was a lifeguard. He's like, you know this beach is closed. Oh, wow. He's like, he didn't believe the kid. He didn't believe the kid. I mean, kids will mess with you. Swimming with the shark. Swimming with the shark. You yell barracuda. Everybody's just, huh? What? You yelled shark. We've got a panic on our hands on the 4th of July. It doesn't scare you, though, does it, Jay? No. You can still get in there. It's a big old ocean. Yeah. I don't think that if I got into the water, I would get eaten, but I am still scaredy cat. What about you, Woods? I'm not. I have a new theory that I've developed, and that theory is that I'm in their house. Oh, yeah. And I am just going to be respectful.
And I'm going to be in there. And if they want a piece, then they're going to get a piece. And that's my thing. And I really enjoy surfing and I enjoy being in the water. But that's their house. Don't wear anything shiny in the water. I take everything off. We were in Kauai and Shark Week was on. So every night we'd come back to the house and we'd watch Shark Week. So then we're snorkeling around. And the whole time, I've got Jasper with me. I'm looking behind me like, all right, big fella, where are you? Especially, I went snorkeling there in Kauai where Bethany Hamilton got her arm chopped off. Same place? Same place. Well, she was on the outer reef and I was on the inner reef there. But I saw a ton of sea turtles, which is shark's favorite food. And I was like, oh boy, he's just around the corner. Yeah, we swam out and around the reef. We had a weird night. Rebecca woke me up. She woke me up at about 10. Last night. And no, it was probably earlier. I actually don't even know what time it was because I was disoriented because I take my sleep pills. So she wakes me up and she says, are you are you in your sleep coma? And I said, yeah. And she said, well, she said, I think I need to take Jake to the ER. Oh, no. Yeah. Jake has had he's my four year old.
He's had these issues like he's been complaining about his stomach. She thinks that, you know, she kind of thought, you know, because it'll go away. And so she thought that's probably just growing pains. And I did, too. But last night, his stomach was hurting. And so she said, you know, she had taken to the ER. And so that was, you know, OK, so they're going to go and I fall back to sleep. And then they both come into the room a couple of hours later. And I said, what's going on? She said, well, I decided that I'm going to wait because now he was downstairs laughing and having a good time. But he did throw up because he had a fever. When he gets a fever, he throws up. And so, you know, they ended up staying home.
But I'm worried because I don't know if there's something, like, really up with his stomach. If there's, like, if he's got some kind of issue because, you know, he's got, if he's running a fever, that's usually a sign of infection. And he's got, you know, stomach, his stomach's been hurting. My kids run fever if they're teething. I know, but he's five, dude. I mean, it's like my kids just run fever. Growing pain sometimes. Even at that, my mom would always ask me, she'd say, have you had a BM? Mom, maybe when I was an adult, I was like 16. Have you had a BM? Mom, stop it. Well, Jay, do you ever have, does Jasper, your eight-year-old, does he ever just run a fever? Oh, yeah. He does, dude? Oh, yeah. And he just shuts down. He's all listless and just like. Really? And then next thing you know, he's like, boop, he's back in, you know. Wow. Takes a lot to bring him down. Good. Well, I'm glad to hear that. And hey, listen, if you're a parent and you know this, tell me. Put my mind at rest because it scared the crap out of me that he's running a fever and he's got a stomachache. Oh. And he's had, you know, kind of been having one off and on. M1 Anonymous is calling to ask Jay a question. What's up, Anonymous? Good morning. That swell's picking up, Jay. Yeah, I know. I was out down at the beach yesterday. I was going to wonder if you're going to take Woodsy out in this one.
I told Woods not to go out in this one. Yeah, I'm supposed to go out with my neighbor today. They say today, all through Labor Day, they say be careful because those swells, because of a storm in the Antarctic, it's made swells here in San Diego from today all the way through Labor Day weekend. It's supposed to be big swells. Oh, yeah, I may not be here tomorrow. Well, that's fishing beaches up at churches. Yeah. Lowers, man. It's going to be happening. If I was going out, I'd want to go out at a reef somewhere. Just something I'd kind of paddle around. Are you going to surf, Jay? I want to surf today. I told Woods he should take a boogie board out. I'm not taking a boogie board. I'm going. It'd be better than having his longboard. He'd never make it out. I want to know when you're going to teach L.O.B. how to surf. She knows how to surf. Yeah, she does. She does. Oh, nice. She surfs. Let's put some pictures up. L.O.B. Long board or short board? I don't have a real, real short board. It just depends on the waves because I have smaller boards. I haven't been that much this season. How about standing next to the board in a bikini? Yeah, let's do that. There we go. You can do that. Look at her kawaii photo album. Oh, my God. It's like three pictures in or something. Jay, you creep.
You creep, you creep, you creep. He knows exactly where in her Facebook photo album. I just said it could be there. Yes, I think I do have some surfing pictures up there. There's one where I look like an orangutan just like squatting with my legs really far apart in a terrible stance. Oh, well, there you go. Yeah, so feast on that. Yeah, and Jay's like, actually, that's picture five. Thanks for the call. Yeah, LB is an attractive young woman. Not exactly young. Woman. Yeah. You are young. It's all in perspective. Young is. It depends on who you ask. I mean, midlife. Yeah. Well, no. Yeah. She's 30. She looks younger than 30. She does. I hope not midlife. She does. You're not midlife. If I'm midlife, I'm going to be pissed at those supplements. I'm midlife. I'm 30. You are not. Yes, I am. I'm 36. I ain't seeing 72. Yes, you are. I'm 36 years old. I'm past midlife. You are not. It's time to buy a Corvette for the kid. It's the next car. I'd be surprised if he makes it past 45. What'd you say, Jay? I'd be surprised if he makes it past 45. Smoking and dipping. And whatnot. Yeah. A lot of whatnot. Oh, my goodness. Clowns. Let's see. Woods, how is... I haven't asked you this. Your dog, Shooter? He's better now. You got ripped off at the vet.
Took him to the vet. They charged you. Up the wazoo. Up the wazoo. Yeah. Because they know they got you by the heartstrings. Had to do it. He got stitches for him. He had a ton of stitches. Took him in yesterday and got his stitches out. So he's doing much better. The ear looks much better. Both of his ears look great because we've been putting drops in. But I had a very uncomfortable experience. What? At the vet. What? I had to pee as soon as I got there. I mean, it was like. A little kid holding it. Right. I go, do you have a bathroom? Do you have a bathroom? She's like, it's right over there. It's the typical doctor's office bathroom. You walk in. There's one toilet. Yeah. Well, shoot her. I had to drag him in there with me because it was dark at first. And he was on all fours. Come on, buddy. Come on. Why are you so mean to shoot him? I'm not. Because he's not a Yorkie. Oh, my God. Dogs hate the vet. I pulled him in. And I turned the light on and shut the door real quick. And I was like, oh, my God. I got to go. Right. So I'm standing there. And I'm doing my business. And the door opens. And it's a vet tech. What? And I'm standing there. Now, the angle was such that had she been looking down, she would have seen. Yeah, it was a she. I didn't lock the door. Why? I was in a hurry. I was pulling him in. It was a whole big thing. It was the perfect storm. I had to pee. He didn't want to come in. The lights were off. I'm like, just get in here. And I shut him. And he sits right in front of the door. When she opened the door, it actually hit him.
Because he was parked right in front of the door. And I'm standing like, oh, I'm sorry. I'm in here. I'm in here. Oh, my God. I'm so sorry, sir. So then I do finish up just mortified. I walk out and she's the one behind the desk. I'm like, sorry about that. I don't know. You know what he's saying? Oh, wow. I'm just sitting here going, you're welcome. Yeah. We do things so different. For me, it's instinctual. I've got to lock that door. Typically, it is for me as well, but there was nobody in the waiting room, so I thought it was good. My goodness. It was not good. Let's see. M1 Cave Dweller from Wisconsin. Hi. Good morning, everybody. Good morning. I was on vacation last week, and so I've been catching up on a lot of podcasts, and I just... You know, first things first, Mike, I just want to say I love you, brother. Oh, thank you, dude. You've got so many people out here who just truly love and cherish you, and we really want you to feel better. Yeah, and for people that are maybe confused by that, it was last week, I think, that I told people that I was going to go see a doc about depression because my wife was seeing some signs that she thought were...
signs of classic depression did got some meds and uh start taking some uh medicine to hopefully feel better sometimes yeah sometimes the hardest part is taking that first step and asking for some help so yeah um i you know i've done a little research and i've got a 19 year old or a 19 month old and uh you know kids have stomach problems and sometimes it's minor and you know the general rule of thumb is Anything lasting more than 24 hours, just get it checked out. Yeah, and his goes away, but then he'll say, you know, come back. And we don't know if he... Who knows? I don't know if he's just saying it or... Playing possum. Playing possum. It's a good bit for kids. It is. They love playing possum. I've never heard that before. The fact that he might pull a fever and then throw up, maybe it's a food bit, you know? You never know. Don't know. Well, hopefully she's going to take him to the doctor today so we can get this thing dialed in. Hey, thank you, Cave Dweller. I appreciate it. No sweat, dude. All right, man. We'll see you. Good man right there. It is a good man. You learn something new every day. There is a very famous person who has a sibling that is transgendered. And you don't, you didn't, well, maybe you knew it. I didn't know it. I didn't know it until it came up in a very uncomfortable conversation with David Letterman.
Because David Letterman asked this person what they thought about Chaz Bono. Oh, no. So I will play that for you next. at gmail.com. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. I have had enough. Now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. Things happen. I got diarrhea. Woods. I have two speeds. I have stop and go. Lauren. So everybody knows how I feel about bottled water. I hate it. And Jay. They said there's breastfeeding out there. They're like, I'm in. Check, check. One, two, three, check. On FM 94.9. Bobby says in her recap.
She wasn't feeling good yesterday. What does it matter? I don't know. What's he called me? I told him, I said, I just, all of a sudden I got really weak and like achy, almost flu-like symptoms. Yeah. So I just decided I was going to take a little snooze and try to sleep it off. Well, her BFMC, her boyfriend Matt Commerce was over and he's a guitar player. So he started playing a little guitar while she was napping on the couch. And she says in her recap. That this was one of those times that she felt like it was a perk of having a boyfriend that's a musician. Unlike the times when random chicks post things on his Facebook ball, she says. You don't like that, huh? No. Well, the ironic thing is I do like it. I mean, physically on Facebook, I click like. when they do it. That's my wife's bit too. And now my wife's bit. And your wife does it too. Fantastic bit. And I thank you Rebecca R. Esparza for introducing it to me. You know what's easier is just peeing on the screen to mark the territory. But then that girl wouldn't see it.
Couldn't you just write, hey, back off, B. That guy's mine. No, because I like to have fun. Hey, why don't you get away from here? I like to have fun. Some girl liked what I wrote the other day after I liked what she wrote. And so we were having a little bit of a like-off. A little bit of a like-off. Oh, my gosh. That's nice. And I use the term girl loosely. Oh, my God. It's more like a cougar. Oh, wow. Listen, he's a talented guy, and he's very sharp with a great body. What do you expect? That's your deal, Woods. What do you expect? If you'd like to comment. Well, here's the thing. Here's the giant double standard, because he says, oh, okay, let me look at your page. Of course. To my page, and for every one comment he has, I've got like... 10 about, like, you know? Very true. And I'll, like, no, no, no, no. I mean, like, just, you know. Yeah, yeah, you have more fans than him. We get it. I get it. I have more friends than him, you know? So someone will comment on something that was really funny, and I'm like, what is that? That's not saying anything, like, flirty. And he goes, what did this girl say? Really enjoyed your music the other day. I'm like, she's flirting. She...
We'll give him a hard time because a girl says, really enjoyed your music the other day. She's flirting. One of my favorite bits that Elleby's ever done is when she questions his song selection and thinks that he is singing songs that only girls like. It's the greatest. She goes, why the hell did you learn Firework by Katy Perry? You only did that to like girls. That's it. He told me he was going to learn a Lady Gaga song the other day. And I said... So what am I supposed to say when people request Lady Gaga? I say, you say, I'm not a gay man. And end of discussion. Oh, my. It's so good. It's so good. So he's got to go, all right, babe, is it cool if I play Feel Like Making Love Tonight by Bad Cop? He's like, no, because that's telling girls that you want to make love. He does play that song, by the way. Yeah. Because he's a sex pervert. I see the look on his face when he plays it. Oh, my gosh. He looks at girls. Oh. Feel Like Making Love. And then he ends, to you. Oh, my God. And then he looks at the one that he wants to make love to.
He thinks I don't see it. I see it. Hey, is he not looking at you? He needs to be Ray Charles, dude. Big old black glasses. Yes. Get up there and play. Well, lucky for him, I don't really go to many of his gigs. Does he need a roadie? I don't know what a roadie is. I'll be his, like, guy who goes out in the crowd and say, hey, he wants to meet you. L.O.B.? Yeah. Why do you not go to his gigs? Most of them are during the week. And the last one... Do you go to his gigs on the weekends? Sometimes. Sometimes I get mad. Because the last time I went to one, I walked in and there was a table of girls next to him. And one of the ladies had a tambourine. And she was part of the band playing along. And I was like, oh, that's cute. That's really cute. So I now call that place the tambourine place.
The tambourine place. Oh, my. And in fact, some girl posted on his wall like, oh, I can't wait to see you play tonight at blah, blah, blah place. And I said, make sure you bring a tambourine for the lady. Oh, my God. The guy's just trying to earn a living. Holy cow. And then we laugh about it because now he starts to like things on my wall and stuff like that. Giant double standard. But I said, babe, it's different. I'm a comedian. I'm allowed to post passive aggressive things. It's funny. People think it's funny. Do they? Do they? It's fun. Yeah, it's fun, right? Super fun. Matt. I know. He's the sweetest guy. He's the sweetest guy. He puts up with a lot. Yeah, he does. I've been to Matt's gigs and he's like, hey, does anybody want to come up and jam? I've played at his gigs. He doesn't care. What, L.O.B.? What did you say? He says, yeah, that's a good bit. You always get a drunk girl that's like, I sing with you. And it's funny. Is it? It's very funny. Yeah, it's great. L.O.B. wants...
I bet you want him to go work at a prison. That would be the best job. That would be the best job he could possibly have. Playing guitar to prison. Yeah, playing guitar to prison. Here's the problem. And then come right home. He made the fatal mistake, and Matt is honest to a fault. Yeah. And he has to learn sometimes and not tell me. Like, he shouldn't have told me he was learning a Lady Gaga song, and I wouldn't have had the opportunity to make fun of him. He told me how girls will put numbers in his tip jar. Don't tell her that. Matt, is he insane? He's insane. I'm telling you, he's honest to a fault. So he just thinks that he's being honest and putting that out there. And just all it does is give me ammo to be crazy. Oh, Maddie. Hey, everybody, we're all going to get laid. You don't tell her that. I know. It's going to get her going, man. We'll make her. Very upset. Well, you learn something new every day, and that's what happened on David Letterman last night when he was talking to David Arquette, who's going to be on Dancing with the Stars. Chaz Bono. Chaz Bono is something else. Chaz Bono is going to be on Dancing with the Stars as well. Now, if you don't know, Chaz Bono used to be Chastity Bono, a woman, and had sex reassignment surgery, became Chaz Bono, is now a male.
And his mom is Cher. That is incredible. You know, I have my sister Alexis is transgender. So we're going to have a lot of stuff to talk about. Transgender, meaning Alexis, formerly a man, now a woman. Yeah, formerly a man, now a girl. Now a girl. I see. And Chaz Bono. Did you guys know that? Yes. You did. Because you get the magazines. Well, he's up on all the list. Yeah, he gets the keys. He's got to be in the know. My Curious Weekly is what he gets. I have a prescription. Yeah, we've got a prescription. Whose head do you think David Letterman rolled when he didn't get that in his head? Oh, yeah. Somebody want to give me the heads up that he's got a transgender... Like a jackass out there. You don't think he knows? Yeah. No. I think he did it because he knew. He was like, hey, this is... Dude, I don't think it's like known. It's known. It's well known. In the transgender, bi-curious community that Jay is a big fan. No, no, it's been known for a long time. It's the key parties that Jay goes to. The gay key parties. Did you know that, L.O.B.? I didn't know. I had no clue. But you're asking the wrong person. I don't know why. You're not in that world like Jay. A woman. A woman. I grew up personally with these. I don't want to get too deep. See how quiet it is, by the way. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's dead quiet in that studio. Like, there is not.
You can hear a pin drop at the Letterman studio. I grew up personally seeing the sort of bullying and ridicule that somebody who feels they're in. You know, like Letterman wanted to do. Correct. About Chaz Bono. Yes. Until he found out that you had the same thing. Yeah. The transgibic thing. We're going to joke about with. Yes. Right. Until I knew that your brother became your sister. Your sister. Yes. Yes. Different body that they're not comfortable has to go through. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Oh, it makes my stomach tighten up. Ow. Also, I just think, you know, it's going to be amazing for him. Okay. He's a really good dude. Okay. Okay. Right now, David Letterman is going through the list of interns and, like, producers. Yes. PAs that were supposed to give him a one-shooter. You're fired. You're freaking fired. So I yesterday did something. Well, first of all, it was what I had yesterday for lunch would have been a better midnight snack. But and you tell me if you do this, there are certain things that you can eat cold. There are certain things that you should not eat cold. I would never in a million years eat fries cold. OK, like so if you if you brought fries home and you put a bag in the refrigerator, I wouldn't eat that cold. So gross.
I wouldn't eat a hamburger cold. I would eat a hamburger patty cold. You would? Yep. Not me, man. Not the rest of it, though. And I shouldn't have a problem with eating a hamburger cold because I'll eat barbecued ribs cold. That's perfect, though. Oh, I love it. That's what you want to eat them. I can do it lukewarm, not cold. Well, our nanny, Nita, is from Hungary, and she's a vegetarian. And first of all, I think that the idea of barbecued ribs in Hungary is disgusting, which is fine because it's a cultural difference, you know, not big over there. So I think she was, first of all, a little disgusted by me because I was eating meat, you know, vegetarian, grosses them out to see vegetarians to see people eat off the bone. My wife grosses her out to see me eat food off the bone.
So I think she was kind of grossed out watching me eat food off the bone. But then to be eating ribs off the bone. And so she goes, what is that you eat? And I said, oh, it's ribs. She goes, and she'll answer very quickly, you know, when she's. And she goes, you don't want to warm this up? I go, she goes, it is better for you if you warm it up. Is it? And I said. That's a wives' tale. What is this? Wives' tale? Wives' tale is like when your mom tells you that you're going to get a cold if you go out and it's cold. You're not going to get a cold from the temperature. That's a wives' tale. You get a cold from picking up someone's germs and rubbing it in your face. She goes, mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Which meant...
You are going to get sick from eating this this way. But there is nothing better to me than ribs right out of the refrigerator. That may be the perfect midnight snack. Getting a chicken, cold chicken. Cold chicken, midnight snack is delicious. Oh, yeah. Ribs may be, for me, a little too messy at midnight. At midnight. I love it. What's perfect? Would you brush your teeth afterwards or just go back down? Oh, of course. Of course I wouldn't brush my teeth. Go right back to bed. Go to bed. You don't brush your teeth after midnight snack. You don't? L.O.B. is big on the brushing of the teeth. No, we're really not. Yeah, and I should be. I should be. You're not the weird one. We're weird. Neanderthals. Wow. I couldn't. I'd be laying in bed going. Yeah, no way. You got to brush them. Ew. Yeah.
I like chips. Love chips as a midnight snack. We'll wake up. What kind? Cool Ranch Doritos. Get a handful of them. Love chips or cookies. Chocolate chip cookies? No problem. I've got one that's horrible for you. What? I get the marshmallow cream. Do you know what that is? Yeah, in the jar. It's like liquid marshmallow. In a jar. And then graham crackers. And you dip it inside. I can't have a sweet midnight snack. I have pickles or I have like... What I thought the perfect midnight snack was, my mom used to make lasagna or baked ziti and the leftovers would be in there. Eating that cold is something I can do forever. So, Ella B., what kind of pickles? I like the spears, like the kosher dill pickles. I cannot do that. I love them. Woods, are you the type of guy to go open up a jar of pickles and take out a spear and just eat it by itself? I prefer. I don't really like spears. They're a little too flimsy. I like the whole full pickle, and I'll bite right into that. I'll knock down two or three at a sitting. You know that. There are certain things that pickles are right with, but I can't have them by themselves. Oh, I can. My wife, too, man. I'll drink pickle juice out of the deal, too. You've got to put pickle juice in your tuna. That's the trick. Ooh. You will.
Yeah. Drink pickle juice? I'm such an idiot with stuff, but I read one time that Jason Witten played tight end for the Cowboys. He had a drink. It was pickle juice. And they used to drink it before games. It's really good for hydration, apparently. Probably completely a bit. Well, I was like, I'm going to try it. And I drank it, and I was like, it tastes pretty good. And so I drank it. A lot of salt in it, I'm sure. Yeah. A lot of people crave that salt after workouts. I think that it's a... I think that it's a psychological thing. People think to themselves, if I do something that's a little uncomfortable, it's good for me. Like a raw egg. Like a raw egg. Like I'll do a raw egg because it's real healthy. You'll be rocky. Listen, it's probably no different than just scrambling it with no fat. I know. It's probably no different. But people think that because it's a little uncomfortable to do it raw, it's got to be good for me. You know, it's like L.O.B. She drinks algae, you know. It tastes like butt. No, it tastes like algae. I bet you if it tasted like Kool-Aid, you'd be like, eh. It can't be good for me. It's true. It can't be good for me. Oh, man. The glands are going to go. I know it. I know it. I know it. What else a good midnight snack? What's the best midnight snack? I like cake. I like a good cake. You like sweets, man. Well, I like chips and stuff, too.
I don't like a real involved one. I want it quick. I want to walk to the pantry, open up, go, and then walk. I want to stand in the refrigerator with it open, butt against the cold door, and eat it. And then I like to, the weird thing is I like to chase it with like a juice. Oh, a juice is perfect. Right out of the container. I know it's nasty, but nobody else lives it. Perfect, L-O-B. Well, right. That's because you're alone. Because I'm not married and I'll probably. Die that way. Your cats will take care of you. Your cats will actually eat you when you pass away. That's a true statement. I want to know if anybody likes cereal in the middle of the night. It's too much. Too much work. I like it right before bed. Right before bed, but it's way too much work at midnight. Jay is disgusted at the fact that you believe that's too much work. It is. It is too much work. It takes 15 minutes to eat the bowl. It's called a snack. It's not a meal. Come on. Do you guys think other people's food tastes better? Oh, yeah. I would rather have a bag of chips over at L.O.B.'s than at my, you know what I mean? I'd rather go to Woods' house and open his pantry and look around. Like my parents' food, it's always going to be better than mine. If I go to my parents' house, I know snacks there are better than the same exact thing at my house. Part of me agrees with the snack part, but if it's a meal.
If I go to your house for meatloaf, I'm going to be nervous about it. I'm going to be nervous. Spaghetti, I'm nervous. Snacks, always better. Babysitting was the best. I would get all of their snacks. And they're better, right? The EL fudge cookies in there. These are gone. Other people's snacks are better. Jay's got the best snacks. You do not. No, because my wife is in charge of buying them. I stayed with you for a couple weeks. Yeah. And couldn't find a snack. Yeah. Unless it was like a pita chip or something. Yes. Rebecca. I don't have any snacks either. Or like a Hanson's natural soda. You're like. Tramex. Oh, look. It's Paul Newman cookies. Delicious. I think they're delicious. Oh, great. I did. Oh, look. It's Sun Harvest tortilla chips. Perfect. Keep going. I looked through his pantry. I went, oh, God, I got to go to the convenience store and get some Doritos ASAP. Why? You don't want nacho Doritos that are made out of, like, zucchini? Wash it down with a key lime soda? Yeah. I'm eating chips that are green because they're made from broccoli. Yeah. Yeah. Literally broccoli. That's good. Hideous. Hideous. I love you, Rebecca, but come on. The snacks. Come on. Come on with the snacks.

Isn't that right? Yeah, good morning, Mike. Good morning. It's me and my brother. 4,300 square feet. That's right. It's huge. And you guys are going to serve... Burgers. Uh-huh. Sandwiches. Yeah. Just burgers, mostly. 80 to 40 people will be able to sit in this joint. 80 to 40. It should be 40 to 80. I don't know. This is a misprint. 40 to 80. You said 80 to 40. And I said 40 to 80. You're saying farty. I said... I said farty. Right. That's farty. And it's actually 40. Are you getting in my face? No, I'm not. I'm not. Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Well, today is the best day of the year. It is pennant races. It is football. But first, let me tell you that sports today is brought to us by our friends at Frank's Red Hot. Frank's Red Hot. The 2011 college football season kicks off tonight. Number 10, Wisconsin opening at home against UNLV. Number 20, Mississippi State on the road at Memphis. Also, interesting story.
Best running back in the NFL, Chris Johnson. He's phenomenal. Has not signed yet with the Tennessee Titans. Still has not signed. He took to, guess where? Twitter. Said, fake Titan fans, shut up. That's it? Well, then he says, I don't have. That was that tweet, though. Yeah, yeah. Fake Titan. Fake Titan fans, shut up. I don't have a regular job. Don't compare me to you. And I can care less if you think I'm greedy. Now, he has refused to report until he gets a new contract. The Titans have said. Look, we're going to make you the highest paid running back in the NFL. He still hasn't reported. Still hasn't signed a deal. So then he says. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. We got to stop. Stop it now. Because I am fascinated. The Titans have said to him, dude, you're going to be the highest paid guy in the NFL. Correct. And he's still not happy? Correct. What does he want? More. Oh, my gosh. I want to be the highest paid running back in the universe. Yes. Which.
You would be, I believe, Chris Johnson. But so then he took back to Twitter to say, my Titan fans taking it all wrong. I'm talking to the ones writing me racist comments. I'm not call the Titan fans fake at all. I'm not. But you just call. I think you just called him fake. I'm not. But you just did. You just did, though, Chris. So listen, the guys. freaking talented. He's a bull, man. He's a bull. He's a beast. But not just a bull. He's also, what's so great about watching that dude, he's one of those elusive runners, which means he's fun to watch. Very Sanders-like. He's got the moves, the jukes, but he can also lower his helmet and hit you right in the chest. Dude, the Titans' hopes, I mean, the whole world is on that guy's shoulders as far as that team is concerned. Do you know what he does want? What will make him happy? I don't know. They've made him an offer, which would make him the highest paid player, and he said, man. It's not enough money. It's not enough money. Wow, wow, wow. It's crazy. Yeah, it is. 570-1949 is our number. Don't forget Word of the Day Continent. That'll get you a four-pack of tickets to go to the game tonight. Chargers, Niners, tonight. Okay.
So, whose ashes got smoked? Tupac. There's a rumor that after Tupac died, the outlaw smoked his ashes. Is that true? Yeah, it's definitely true. You know, I think it was the night of his, had a little memorial for him, you know, with his mom, his family, and we got hit the beach and, you know, threw a lot of he liked in the beach. You know, some weed, some chicken wings. You know, he loved orange soda, all that kind of s***. Yeah, yeah, you know, Pac loved that kind of s***. So, you know, we was just giving him our own, you know, farewell. And that night, you know, I forgot which one of us came up with it. You know, they had his ashes and s***. Pac came up with that s***. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Well, they did. Real good. Smoke it down. We're smoking Tupac. Weird. Some chicken wings. You know, he loved orange soda. Yes, he did. So someone yelled out, Pac came up with that. Do you think he meant that he spoke to them from the grave? Or like before he died, he was like, yo, if I ever die. I want you to smoke me. And I might have some controversy around my death. Yes. I want you to smoke my, quote, ashes. Yes. If I ever die, it may be from.
Mysterious circumstance. Roll me up and smoke me. Yeah. Okay. We'll do it. We got it, man. We'll do it. We'll smoke you up, Pop. I could not. I couldn't either. It's disgusting. There's that. What's the movie with Zach Galifianakis and Robert Downey Jr. where they... Due date. Yes, they accidentally drink. It's disgusting. It's in a coffee can, and so they brew it like coffee. Like coffee. I was gagging, and I knew that Woods watched it, and I was like, I bet he lost it right here. I did. I had to leave the room. I was like. Mike, it was in a chock full of nuts can. Oh, my God. Oh, God. They did it on mistake or on purpose? On mistake. Because he kept them in a coffee can. And someone was trying to be nice and was like, oh, yeah, I just brewed that. I'll brew you up. Hideous. They started, like, describing how he wasn't that bad. Yeah. They're like, oh, it's not that bad. Nutty. Yeah. Nutty. 570-1949. It's time to play Why Are We Here? Now, it's a fun game. Basically, what we do is a lot of voices on the Mikey Show.
And so because we do a lot of voices, we will put two different characters that we do in a strange place. And we got to figure out why we're there. First, we draw two names and that's the people. And then we do the location. So the name that I'm reaching in and pulling out is Charlie Sheen. Hello. Charlie Sheen. And the other name is. Little Juan. Little Juan. Yeah, dude. And they are in a hot air balloon. Oh, my God. What up, dude? How you doing? Doing good, bro. How are you? I'm actually messing my pants. I'm really scared of heights. I don't want to do that. What the hell was that noise, dude? What? Is there a dolphin in this? A hot air balloon?
Do you have any cocaine? Hey, Charlie. Yes, little Juan. Do you have any cocaine? Do you have an iguana in your pocket or something, dude? Or are you just happy to see me? Oh, you notice. What is that noise, bro? I think it's a bird, Juan. Hey, Charlie Sheen. Yes, little Juan. Did Jay put these sound effects together, bro? Of course he did, duh. Hello? What the hell do you think that's supposed to be up here? It doesn't sound like the same sound effect we heard this morning. No, man. It sounds like Jay was high on marijuana with Tupac in it. Jay, do you have any marijuana? Clearly. So, let me get this straight, Uncle Jay. We're in a hot air balloon, thousand feet in the air, and there are chimpanzees. No, they're birds. Silence followed by birds that don't fly at a thousand feet. Interesting, a pinch at a thousand freaking feet. I think it's a hummingbird. But Charlie Sheen, why would a hummingbird... I don't know. I have no idea. Hello. Winner, winner of Sheen dinner. You know...
I think Jay does more drugs than you, Charlie Sheen. I don't know if that's possible, little Juan. Like I said, do you have any cocaine? No, I'm trying to figure out the sound effect, bro. That is why are we here. Maybe the greatest hot air balloon sound effect I've ever heard. I think the hot air balloon got caught in the jungle, maybe. Maybe that's the deal. Or the bird watching convention. The aviary. Yes. I know it didn't get too far off the ground with two of you in it. Yeah. But it was Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen. Yeah. So I said, hey, let's add some sound effects to the different places that we can be. That way, when I draw names, our locations, we don't come up with the same locations. We come up with something new. He goes, okay, well, what do you want? I go, throw in, I said, first of all, throw in a rock concert. I want a rock concert. I want a hot air balloon.
Give me a space shuttle launching, like a rocket launch. All right. So I drew the hot air balloon, and it had a monkey and a finch. Several birds. A dolphin is in there, too. Yes, a dolphin. Hello. Is it a dolphin or? This is the strangest hot air balloon flight in the history of hot air balloon flights. Well, you're on mushrooms. That tea I gave you, it's mushroom tea. So that's the problem. You ever done mushrooms? No, dude. I'm just a little kid. You're not little. Yeah, I am, dude. How old are you? 16. You were 16 like four years ago. Hello? I mean, I'm 27, bro. Do you have any cocaine? No, but I do have... I do have a Red Robin. A cardinal. I slept with a girl at Red Robin in the bathroom one time. A waitress. A nutcracker. What is that? I don't know. Brilliant. Question, Woodsy. I love it. Yes, sir. Did your parents ever do anything that happened in front of you that was traumatizing, for instance? And I mean traumatizing in a funny way.
Something that is funny, even today, as you think back on it, and if you have one, 570-194-9. They've embarrassed me plenty, but the worst one that I think I know, it wasn't my parents, it was a buddy's dad that actually took a baseball bat to the TV during a Dallas Cowboy game and wrecked their family television. He took a baseball bat? When my buddy was about nine years old, it was a Cowboys-Redskins game. And, you know, bitter rivals. And the Redskins beat the Cowboys and he took a bat to the TV. You know what? And beat the crap out of the TV. And he said he screwed him up for life. Woods, that's better. I want to know what happened that your friend's parents did that tripped you out. Your friend's parents ever do anything that tripped you out? Dude, I grew up in Texas. Oh, yeah.
And so when you have the really racist friends, parents that are coming at you, you're like, oh, my God. Yeah. My house was not like that. Yeah. I had a buddy whose dad, you're like, what time's your clan rally? Right. And it makes you so uncomfortable to go in there and it traumatizes you. I have you ever seen the movie The Great Santini? No, but you've tried to get me to watch it about 100 times. There is a scene in that movie that I saw actually happen. I was at a kid's party. This is my friend. And they had a pool. It was a pool party. And the kid, whose birthday it was, took a volleyball. And to be funny to his friend, he threw it at his friend's face, hit his friend. His friend cried. So this guy's dad. took the volleyball and he's like, really? Really? Is that funny? Is that funny? And he was bouncing the volleyball off of his head. Oh my gosh. That's awesome. And the kid was crying and he just kept doing it off of his forehead. He's like, does that feel good? Do you like that? Do you like it when I do it? And I was like, oh my gosh.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Because it was so far and away from anything that my dad would ever do. Most dads. Yeah. Most dads. Holy cow. My friend's grandmother, she named her dog the N-word. Oh my gosh. So anytime she went out on her porch to call the dog in, you can only imagine. Oh my gosh. Get in here. Oh my gosh. Dude. Texas must have been a weird place to grow up. As a kid? I have no idea. Dude. You have no idea. In an un-PC time. Yeah. Non-PC. It was not like that growing up for me in Arizona. No. Or California. Texas, dude. Texas way flashback. I bet all those southern states, Alabama, Georgia, all of them. I went, hey, man, when I was in Texas, I think I told you, when I was in Texas,
One time during a period of time that Rebecca and I were broken up. We were on a break. We were on a break. I went on a date. And during the date, I said to this person, hey, as a joke, says a joke. Hey, do you think that your dad's going to have a problem with the fact that I'm Mexican? And she. 100% serious said, maybe at first, but I know him and he'll be okay with it after a little bit. And I didn't say, because I was too embarrassed. I didn't say, oh, I was just kidding. I didn't say that. I was like, oh. And I, in my head, was like, oh, that's for real. Like, there's no joking there. That's for real. Yeah, I mean, obviously it's not. You can't stereotype everybody like that from there, but there was a lot of that growing up. Jay grew up in a small town. I grew up in kind of a small town. It wasn't as bad, but boy, my grandparents' generation. Holy smokes. L.O.B., what about Jersey? No, I mean, every once in a while, of course. I think it was the generation before my parents that would say, like the grandparents' generation, where some of the stuff they would say, I was like, holy. I remember when they started force busing.
Where they would bus you to other schools because there was... They were trying to do this integration? Yeah, there was a whole white school here and a black school over here. Well, you remember when they embedded buses. Yeah, that's true. The wheel. We used to go in a cart or on a horse. Yeah, buggy. A buggy. Yeah, buggy. Tomorrow is the day. Tomorrow is the day that we will be doing The Dating Game with Chris. And everybody in our listening audience will be able to go online and see what the girls look like. Everybody, that is, except for Chris. Now, they haven't been posted yet, Chris, because we don't want anybody taking a little look-see, even though I trust you. We're going to wait until tomorrow, and then we're going to put the pictures up. The girls are good-looking. They were all good-looking. We didn't get a submission from anybody that wasn't good-looking. A lot of little foxy ladies in the Mikey Show audience. They all want to taste the Chris, too. They do. Yeah, not a bad thing. Now, here's the thing. Whatever lady he selects is going to go to a baseball game tomorrow night to see the Padres with the Mikey Show. Yeah. So we are going to be in a luxury suite. Now, I got a friend that works for the San Diego new car dealerships here in town. And so it's their suite. She offered it to us a long time ago.
You know, just for us as a show, because her thing is media relations. So she likes to set the media up with this skybox. So we were going anyway. But now Chris gets to bring a date and it will be whatever girl he selects tomorrow. And so it's going to be a pretty cool thing. We're all going to witness it. We're all going to be there. We're all going to chaperone. And, you know, Jay and Woods will. Probably flirt with a girl. In front of their wives. In front of their wives. And then L.O.B. will probably tell them to knock it off. And then they will for a little while. And then their wives will go to the bathroom. Go to the bathroom. And they'll do that again. Right. And that will happen. It's like a circle. Like a circular. Jay will leave with chicken wings in his wife Kim's purse. That's a guarantee. There's a 100% chance of that happening. He's going to bring a to-go bag with him. Yes. A satchel. LB's right. He does call it a to-go bag. Right. Not to-go. No, not to-go. It's a to-go. It's a to-go. Yeah, they will have... How irritated, by the way, do you think that Jay would be if we went in there? Because I've been in there before. I've seen...
The stuff. I've seen the spread. I've seen that. How irritated would he be if you were to steal his to go or like, oh, my God, I've done it. I stole this to go one time. He was almost inconsolable. He wanted to kill me. And we had a long I think we had a long weekend. And the guy wouldn't return my phone call. He was so. Oh, yeah. You know, when you have your family set on the food you're bringing home. On the food that was meant for your radio show. Yeah, that was done. The show was already over. Well, there's other people that work in the building that work for the company. Hey, there was plenty left over for them. There was plenty. And then he took it in the bathroom. So I should go to the whole building and ask everybody, hey, do you want any food? No, no, just our floor, Lincoln Financial. Let me just say this. The whole floor, that's good. I will tell you this. There is not even a close second place. to a person that I've ever met in my life that enjoys taking food home more than Jay. He likes to take food home more than anyone I've ever met in my life. I got kids to feed. I saw him at a soup kitchen, and I'm not kidding, standing out front with a bowl. I'm not joking.
I think my parents might be slightly worse than him. There's no way. If it's free. There's no way. My dad's pretty bad with the free food. They will ask people, like, that they don't, like, if it's, like, a big function. Yes. They'll put everything into one container. Yep. And take it with them. Good call. Wait a minute. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. But L.O.B., would your parents ever do what Jay did, which is to conspire with his wife at a radio station function. Oh, yeah. To put it in her purse. My parents used to put me up to it. Because I was little. I would be like 15 getting from the kids menu. There is nothing wrong. We were in a VIP section. They wouldn't let my kids in because it was a 21 plus. So I was like, hey, I'm going to take some food down to the kids. That is wrong. That's stealing. It's not stealing. They were giving it away for free. But they weren't, they were for the VIPs in that area. And you're saying my kids aren't VIPs. They were on the list. Well, they were not of age. They're not of age. They were on the list and Adam thought they could get in. They're not of age though. That guy loves him. some cheese and strawberries. Little pieces of salami with crackers. This is the thing that I think is also very impressive with Jay. The impressive part is that he can make something that you would traditionally not think that you could take home into something to take home. For instance. Like a soft cheese wheel. A soft cheese wheel. He'll figure out a way to wrap it in napkins or also things that you would think
Nobody would want to take that. For instance, broccoli spears. Yes. That you would dip in the ranch. Yeah. Help take them. They're perfectly good broccoli spears for Jay. I make casserole. Yeah. Exactly. I make casserole. I make broccoli and cheese casserole. Put it with the cheese. You're set. I'd save it for Thanksgiving. Make broccoli and cheese casserole. Take some almonds. Surely no one wants the soup with a film on the top of it. Now you warm it up. Who could even take it? Warm it up. What could you even put it in? You warm it. I put it in a hat. I got a Dixie cup. Yeah, I found a cup. And I'll just balance it on the drive home between my legs. Jay, are you really taking those walnuts? I mean, they're walnuts. Dude, they're walnuts. I put them in Jasper's stocking every Christmas, all right? You might. Rainy day. You took the orange that people were using as a garnish off of everyone's plate. Still delicious. Look, parsley can also be salad. It doesn't matter. Put a little ranch on it. Oh, my God. You guys are finally getting it. Oh, wait, wait, wait. Listen, I got to play you this clip when we come back. I want to play you this clip of Oksana Gregorio. Remember the chick that Mel Gibson? Oh, yeah. He divorced, blah, blah, blah. They were in court, and her attorney, as they're wrapping up, and it's like hidden audio.
He starts to promote her album. Oh. In the proceedings. Holy cow. Dude, it's the weirdest thing ever. And I have it. I got the audio of it. We'll play it now. Mikey Show coming up in minutes. If you quit, it's going to follow you for the rest of your life. So. Be a part of the Mikey Show now. Hey, Rip Van Biggen. Shoot him a text. 949mikey at gmail.com. Call 570-1949. Surfwise today, seeing that dominant stop, southwest pretty swell, still holding very steadily, but very inconsistent at the same time. Secondary northwest swell out there to cross up just a bit, too. This morning, coming off of that negative low tide that we just passed, looking a bit kind of disheveled and broken up, nowhere has a real clean focus right now. Nonetheless, there's lots of sides, chest shoulder high on average, with some solid overhead plus waves at the standout spots on occasion. It'll look pretty small, and then for the next 20 minutes, it'll pump.
so you've got to kind of time your sessions accordingly. If you've got a longer window of opportunity today, that's probably a good call, as you can sit there for almost half an hour and catch nothing before it starts to pump again. Beach breaks a bit walled out. They can choose corners up the structured zones, as you would expect for this kind of a swell mix. And then the reef breaks have some waves as well. Not real clean, though. Let's hope for some better conditions throughout the morning as the winds start to settle down. There is a light west wind, and that tide fills in. And she captured it on, like she tape recorded him yelling. Well, her and her attorney, they are.
And as you know, maybe you don't, she's a musician. I did not know that. Yes, she is a musician. Always been? Always been a musician. She's been like a recording artist. She, I believe, does classical piano. Plays classical piano. And so, just kind of an odd place to do this. They're wrapping up proceedings with her attorney, and you can hear this. that Mr. Gibson's career will move on, so too will hers. She's, as some people know, been educated in music in London and Moscow, has a CD which has already been done and is coming out, has written songs for Josh Groban and others, and has another CD coming out about a year from now so she can play the part of an active mother totally devoted to her child. Now I must say that you have made this possible
Just plugging the album there, Oksana? Wow. Trying to get the name out there or something during the proceedings? Also, album is available on Sony Music BMI in Europe on November 3rd. Is it? Yes. Because you might want... It's court, though, Oksana. Right. This is what I understand, but, however, also tracks number one, who is called The Rest of Me, is very good for free downloads on iTunes for limited time. Is that right? It's iTunes. Yeah, it's iTunes, so... Limited to what? Limited to a set amount of month that we make it available. Yeah, probably inappropriate time and place. Probably. To be telling all that. Also, Mike's... Do not forget to check Groupon for bonus talks. Oh, wow. Holy cow. Oh, wow. Look at you. I'm talking with also living social people. Okay. And maybe Twitter. Twitter. Twitter. Thank you. I get Twitter. Thank you, Oksana. Unbelievable. Thank you for the opportunity. Shameless. Shameless. You're shameless. You're very welcome. You're very welcome.
Mark Anthony was with the J-Los, right? The J-Los? J-Lo. Yeah, J-Lo. What's the deal? They're getting a divorce? Yes. Apparently, he's going to be on TV talking about it. This is a preview clip. Do you love Jennifer? I'll always love Jennifer. Yeah. Yeah, I do. I'll always love Jennifer. She knows that. You know what I mean? Now, my kids know that. Well, you just stay with her. You love her. She wants out. Yeah. Oh, she wants out. Jennifer's a wonderful, wonderful woman, a wonderful mother, a wonderful friend. When you knew it was over, the marriage, it must have been heartbreaking to you. Oh, I don't know. Would it be heartbreaking to you? I thought it was pretty cool. Yeah, I mean, ask yourself, you know. I'm in a relationship with my wife and have kids and everything. And you want to know if it was heartbreaking for me when she said it was over? Yes, it was. How about if you put yourself in that position? How would you feel, interview man? It is sad because you think about the impact of all those people who believed in you. You think about your family. You think about the possibilities. But we realized very, very early on that even though we're not together, this story's not over. You know what I mean? There's stuff to do together. There's life to see together.
max and emmy and you know what i mean so so uh but not as mark and it's all good right not as husband and wife mr and missus no as friends and friends friends that like friends yes ella b told a story while we were off the air and as she tells you this i want you to just ask yourself if your parents ever did anything like this You were turning what? 13. Got it. And what happened? Well, the deal usually was my parents, whoever's birthday was, five kids in the family, you could ask my mom to make you something special. Yeah. But this was a big birthday for me. So my mom was like, how about this? You pick any restaurant you want to go to. Yeah. And I was like, oh, yeah. Any place that you want. Yes. And it was an Italian restaurant called Lamberti's that my family had gone to on multiple occasions. Usually we got like. Pizza and stuff like that. So we go there. And I was all set. I knew what I was going to get. I was going to get the fettuccine Alfredo. And the chicken parm. And? It was like a chicken parm that came with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. So it was all set. And my mom was like passing things out. And she's like, oh, she's going to take a kid's menu. And gave me the kid's menu. And I was like, but because it was for 12 and under.
And my bottom lip is quivering. I'm like, but I'm 13. I'm getting like teary-eyed talking about it. Oh, my God. She is. She is. I was so sad. She is. She's getting teary-eyed. Still remembering it. My mom was like, no. It doesn't matter. They don't know that. And I was like, but I know that. And so instead of getting my delicious fettuccine alfredo and chicken parm, I had to get spaghetti and meatballs. She's crying. She's crying. I'm not even exaggerating. I had tears dripping down into my food and I was just pushing it with a fork. And she still wouldn't budge. No. Because my mom was like, no. It doesn't matter. It's the same difference. And I was like, you get off the adult menu. Doesn't it break your heart? It's sad. It's so sad. And then it was like I ruined, like my mom wasn't going to budge. It was like I ruined. You ruined the whole night. They were trying to do something nice and I had to be like big fancy pants and get something off the adult man. Hey, guess what? That's where the phrase happy birthday comes from. It's actually her birthday. Exactly. I know. But she already got her gift. I know. Well, then my mom was like telling me like you better put a smile on that face. Oh. Yeah. Yeah.
Oh, my gosh. I see your mom's point. Oh, yeah. Because also you got free dessert when it was your birthday. So they were still going to do it. Sourpuss or not, they were going to get the free dessert for me. Of course. And have me get sung to. The kids' menu, by the way, has got like three things. Oh, yeah. Oh, you got your meatballs. A grilled cheese. Yeah. Penne noodles with butter. It doesn't matter. You're not going to finish it anyway. How? But you know what? You'll take it home and eat it. It's a kid's menu. I had a ferocious advocate. I could have eaten it. Jasper says that all the time. Can you imagine? She had it in her head. The whole drive over. I could taste it. Well, not just the fact that she was going to get the new cool food, but then it was also like, hey, I'm not a kid anymore. I ain't 12 anymore. See you later, kids menu. Yeah, I'm stepping up. Oh, yeah. Now, have you and your mom, has this ever come up in your adult life? There's stuff like that that happens, and my mom always remembers it differently than the kids remember it. Of course. She's like, you're out of your mind. Yes. My mom, too. My mom, too. Hi, Dad.
do that? I let you get it. No, you didn't, and I cried. Yeah, and you're like, why would I make, why would I invent such a story? Because kids be crazy. This is why I tried marijuana, Mom. You want to know why? That's why. I didn't get the chicken parm. What do you mean it's me? Just saying. What does it mean? You are dead. What does it mean? I don't get it. I don't know, but I know it's bad. I don't even know. I'm on your side on this one. Thank you, guys. It was a sad, sad birthday. Got your mom's back. Yeah. It was just like the other year, my parents pretended like they forgot it was my birthday. As a joke. Yes, because I threw a fit that they did not get me the Mickey Mouse watch that I wanted from Disney World. Do you think Lauren ever threw a fit growing up? You know, Jay. You're entitled on your birthday. No, it was only on my birthday because I got forgotten 364 days out of the year. Middle child. Yes, middle child. Yeah. And it would be my birthday and I had an expectation. We need to all make a concerted effort to treat Lauren.
Like a middle child. No. No, like an equal. More like, no, I think you're treated equal. Well, maybe not. I'm treated like a middle child. You're treated like a middle child. Lauren, you're treated like a middle child. Wait a minute. Still. Woodsy, do you feel that Lauren O'Brien is treated like a middle child on this program? I think so. Jay's the oldest. Yes. Woodsy's the baby. Yes. And I am the middle child. And I'm the dad. You're the dad. Yes. Yeah. Really? I think so, dude. I really do. I feel that way. I feel she's a little like the middle child. I think she acts like it. I think it's a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. She's like, have you looked at me? Look at me, look at me, look at me. Well, and there will be times where she'll be like, she will go, hey, will you pay attention? Why are you paying attention? I'm like, I was. I was. I was paying attention. Well, you said the other day something like, oh, like with Woodsy's gig. Like, I'm going to go to your gig because I love you. And I said, well, am I supposed to just assume then that you don't love me? Because I haven't been to her stand-up. It's stuff like that. Still got it. Yeah, she's got it. For sure. For sure. Okay, are you guys ready to do some imagations? Oh, more than anything. No.
You forgot, didn't you? You forgot we were doing imagations? Because you know, Mike, on imagations day, he practices on the drive to work. In what he thinks you may give him. He drives and he's like... This is wonderful. He has no idea what it's going to be. Now today, I decided that I was going to mix it up a little bit. And what I'm going to do today is I'm going to give him... specifics. He's going to be specific people in a specific situation. That was never agreed upon. And so, for your first situation, you're going to be a tired and exhausted Mick Jagger after the performance of his life on stage. How are you, Mick? I'm good, man. How are you? I'm so tired. You're tired, huh?
Yeah, I'm so tired. Why did you call him Mon? Hey, Keith, Keith. Hey, could I have a hit of that? Yeah, okay, cool. So, Mick. I need a video camera. Oh, my God. Mick. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Was this the best performance you've ever given? Light me up, baby. Mick, was it the best performance you've ever had? It was the best, Marky. And what made it so good? What made this one so good? Keith was just railing on his guitar. And I was like. What were you doing with your hands? What were you doing with your nipples? He's pinching his nipples. Light me up, he says. Did you hear him? Light me up. It's start me up. Start me up, Jay. I'm backstage, baby. Here's your next one, Jay. Are you ready? Sure. For your next one, you're going to be...
A bored and non-enthusiastic Clay Aiken, who's from North Carolina, after a so-so performance on stage. Hey, Clay. Hi. What's wrong? I was just not that great. Oh, my God. What part of North Carolina are you from, Clay? Cleveland. Sounds like you're from Cleveland, North Carolina. What part of North Carolina are you from, Clay? The North Side. I was not invincible tonight. Well, it's actually invisible. Oh, I thought it was invincible. Invincible. Oh, it is invincible. Thank you. I know what I'm talking about. No, wait a minute. I think it is invisible. It's your song. Yeah, it's your song. Clay, why are you so sad? Oh, come on. I'm just sad. I'm so... Identical J. Identical J.
I'm from North Carolina. How are you? Just do your own voice. Sure made it a lot easier. You ready for the last one? Yes. Yes, so much. Well, I've actually saved the best for last. Because next he's going to be John Travolta's famous character, Vinny Barbarino. Welcome back. Who is completely in love with the girl that he just met. Welcome back. Hi, Vinny. Hey, letting your nose with the rubber hose. Vinny. Hey, yo, Mr. Carter. You look so happy. What's going on in your life? Hey, I'm in love with this girl. What's her name? Samantha. Well, what's so special about Samantha? She's got a nice rack. Is that right, Vinny Barbarino? Yeah, in your nose with a rubber hose. In your nose. Green-eyed granny with a hole in the penny. I don't want to laugh because I'm afraid I'm going to miss something.
I can't laugh because I don't want to... I just got lightheaded. I don't want to miss something. Hey, Vinny Barbarino. Vinny Barbarino? Yeah, like a hickey from Knicky's like a Hallmark. Different movie. That's a movie. Oh, my God. So are you going to ask this girl out? What are you going to do? Yeah, we're going to do it. You're going to do what? You're going to go on a date? Do a date. Yeah, whatever. Thank you, Vinny Barbarino. Hey, Vinny Barbarino. It's Royale with cheese. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Yeah, and look who's talking. Angel. Michael, I think, was the thing. Angela. Angela. No, that's wrong, too. Hey, I'm in phenomenon. I got to see bright light. No!
Oh, dude, Scientology. Hey, you want me to fly something? Yeah, I'm flying your plane for you. Milk, milk, lemonade. Oh, my God. Thank you, Mike. That was a great twist. Oh, my God. That was so good. mechanical pencils, just $1. It expires September 3rd, limit three. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show with Mikey. I got a box of, you know, stuff in the mail because I like to shop on the internet. Lauren. I'm not a crier. Woods. I used to drink a lot. And Jay. How about you let me raise my own kid? On FM 94.9. This is the creepiest story ever in Virginia. This guy in Virginia, he is, things are not going well with his wife, and I have never heard of anybody hoffing themselves like this dude. You hear about this, Woods? Yep. You hear about it, LLB? No. Brace yourself, kid. Brace yourself. And seriously, if there's kids in the car, this is a real story, but it's creepy. This guy in Chicago, he puts a, like, cable.
around his neck, and attaches it to a tree, gets into his Ford Explorer, and guns it. Yep. Yeah. Dude. Real story. I'll show her. That was his bit. I'll show her. That was his bit. Just crazy. I mean, dude. The pain that shot through my grundle when I read that story was unbearable. It made me feel like I couldn't breathe. Oh, yeah. It takes the air out of you. You can't believe that a human could do that. Yes. There's nothing creepier. Nothing creepy. That may be numero uno on all the creepy stories we've done. Let's see. What's going on in sports? Oh, there's a ton going on in sports. Cedric Benson, who is the Cincinnati Bengals running back, has started serving his 20-day jail term. I've been hanging out with Jay Isabel a little bit too long. He's settling two misdemeanor assault cases. So he'll do 20 days before the season starts.
They're actually going to give him a little bit of credit for time, sir. Also, baseball home run King Barry Bonds will not have to go through another trial. However, he's going to be sentenced for obstruction of justice on December 16th. He could spend Christmas in jail. They are seeking jail time for obstruction of justice, lying to Congress. I am Mikey. I'm the host of the show. That's Woods. That's L.O.B., the pretty blonde with the blue eyes. That pretty, I don't know, hazel-haired guy over there in the green shirt. is Jay, and he is our producer. He's 48, and our phone screener is Cross. And Jay, I don't know about you, but I am interested in finding out about Woods. Me too. Let's do this. All I know is that Woods broke his ankle on Wipeout. Says he broke his ankle. Apparently, allegedly. Allegedly, you broke an ankle. Now, Jay has said That he wants to see proof. And I have said it would be nice. Which is badass, by the way, of both of my friends. It's really cool. Hang on. There's a reason I say it. Why, Jay? Because as soon as we got in the car to drive home, Wood says, I hope it's broken. I hope it's broken. That's the only way I'm not going to get grief. It hurt like hell. And, dude, I knew I was going to get grief. And I said, yeah, I hope this SLB is broken so you'll feel like a...
D. I was treating you like a queen at that point. You were treating me like I took your clothes off. I took your wetsuit off. No, you didn't. I did. No, you didn't. Oh, my God. You may have had a concussion. I had to take off your shoes. I had to pull off the braces. You don't know that. You don't remember that? The paramedic said, okay, somebody's going to have to get him out of the wetsuit. I took him out of the wetsuit, which he didn't have anything underneath. Oh, my God. You did not. I had my shorts. Why would anybody have clothes on under a wetsuit? You were nude. Did you see my wiener? He took advantage of you. I've got pictures of us. Jay made love to be a wipeout in the trailer. Oh my god. Oh my god. Worse than I thought. So, on the show Wipeout, Woods did not make it and had Woods made it. They would have won $50,000. If he just would have finished. If he would have finished. Yeah, that's all I had to do. And he got disoriented. Banging your head into wooden things covered with rubber will do that to you. And then breaking your ankle. Didn't listen. Didn't train. He didn't listen to your instructions. I did. I just freaked out. I couldn't remember. It was the heat of the moment. That's a lot of pressure. It was disorienting. And you've been up for hours. It's the middle of the night.
Thanks, LLB. Gosh darn, it's not a friend on the show that believes me, that saw my ankle and believes me. You see the paper. What is this? He's got it. He's handing me a piece of paper. A piece of paper? Two pieces of paper. Oh, two pieces of paper. Oh, boy. It says CORE Orthopedic Medical Center on it. It's handwritten in crayon. No, it's not. How long did it take Jared to create this for you? I know how to use Word, so if I would have wanted to use Word, I would have. There you go. That's from the doctor's office. All right, let me read. The notes. Reason for visit. Eval right ankle. The patient is 35 years old and right hand dominant. These were the symptoms. Ankle swelling and ankle pain. Stephen Woods presents with complaints of sudden onset of constant episodes of moderate right and right lateral ankle pain described as dull.
Non-radiating. On a scale of 1 to 10, the patient rates the pain as 3. The symptoms resulted... A week later, sitting in his office. Tough guy. The symptoms resulted from a forced dorsiflexion. Ooh. CJ, I told you no dorsiflexion. He had it, though. I saw his dorsiflexion. Dork affection. You got to see his dork affection. Not as big as he said it. That's an isolation. It's got to go on the page. I saw his dork affection. It's dorsiflexion. The injury occurred while playing sports. I told them what we were doing. I don't know why they put that. Well, what were they going to put? The episode occurred on ABC's Wipeout. He asked me how I did it. I told them. What if they know you're on the Mikey show? Symptoms are improved by rest, ice, and elevation. Rest. That's so cozy. Symptoms are made worse by bearing weight. Lots of weight. Just team up, dude. Just team up. Mike, just team up. By the way, I just want people to know, Woods. Just team up. Woods.
made sure to highlight this. The stuff I'm reading is not the highlighted part. Woods wanted me to skip this stuff. No, I don't care. He didn't want this stuff on the T. He didn't want this stuff on the T. No, there's more. I even wrote, ha ha. Symptoms are made worse by bearing weight, walking, running, and movement. Luckily, he didn't do most of those. Really? God. You didn't have to worry about much pain then, did you? Yeah. He states the symptoms are unchanged. So they did a review of various symptoms. Oh, let's see. His systolic vital signs, you know, that's when he's not moving. His heart rate is 70. That's not bad. And his blood pressure is 74 over 125. Wow. 125 over 74. Almost perfect. Yeah. Look at that. Suck it.
Temperature of 98 degrees at the time this was done. So here we go. Here's the important part. You'll like this, Jay. It says the physical exam revealed that Woods was alert, in no acute distress, well nourished. Say, ooh, that hoe is big. It got me so bad. I highlighted it because that one had to be right. Jay, wait until you hear the next. Bring on the big one. I am not kidding. It says this. No acute distress. Well nourished. Well developed. Healthy appearing and normal voice. Normal. Weird. Normal voice and communication. That's good. Let's get to the diagnosis. Let me just read here. Boy. No respiratory distress and normal respiratory rhythm and effort. Right ankle appearance. Normal except swelling. Tenderness. None except the lateral.
malleolus, but not the medial malleolus and not the syndesmosis. Yes, syndesmosis. Range of motion normal. Should Jay read this? Too late. Imaging. Lateral malleolus fracture. The fracture is transverse and not displaced. Woods has his fingers up in the air in victory and also birds. Two birds. Can you read that one more time for the court? Just the last thing you said. The fracture is. The what? The fracture. The facture. That's good. Fat. Sure. Good one. The fracture is transverse. Easy Gallagher. Good one. Is transverse and not displaced. Not displaced. The assessment. Closed fracture of the lateral.
Malleolus. Isn't that a sprain? Sounds like it. What does fracture mean to you? A bad sprain. No. What does fracture mean to you? Well, fracture means broke unless it's closed. No, it doesn't. It's a fracture. It's a fracture. It's a broken ankle. But I thought that if it was a closed fracture, that's another way of saying it. Did you learn that in med school? Or did you learn that? Where did you learn that, Mike? I'm Wikipedia-ing it right now. I never graduated from high school. Well, I know. So what the hell do you know about an open or closed fracture? Fracture's broken. Here's the summary. Broken ankle. Jerks. Here's the summary. Right ankle pain. Currently, the condition is moderate in severity. Treatment plan includes activity modification. No problem. Yeah. And cast boot. Das Boot. Interesting. And Das Boot. That's why we watched it. A German movie. That's right.
To do on the next visit, x-ray. Activity modifications. The patient advised contact me with increased pain or other concerning symptoms. Weight-bearing limits discussed with patients. Yes. Yep. Follow-up visit in four weeks. So it was a closed fracture of the lateral malleolus, which I think was a character in Lord of the Rings. Yeah. Malleolus. Well, I guess, Jay, we will accept your apology now. Will we? No. We would. First of all, I'll accept $22 from you. I apologize. $3 from you, my friend. You know who doesn't get a fracture closed or open? Who? Somebody who actually does something going into it. That's not true, Jay. I got a stress fracture from running too many miles. There you go.
I'm seeing these little 18-year-old girls finish this course. I'm seeing these little... They're lighter than me. Then they're probably more coordinated. And you would have been lighter than you if you would have done anything. M1, Captain Moe from Escondido. Hey, what's going on there, Mikey Show? What's up? I wanted to elaborate. As for my extensive half semester in EMT training, a fracture is when the bone is broke. It's just not all the way through. So the fracture just doesn't break the bone in half. A closed fracture and an open fracture. An open fracture would be if the bone was actually sticking through the skin. Right. It was enclosed in fat. Right. So there's nothing... Still broken, though, right? Still broken? No way that was coming out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Still broken. I would consider that a broken bone. Absolutely. You know how much work that bone would have had to go through to get out? It's my ankle, not my stomach. Jeez. That's not fair, Jay. The man's... Fresh 22 coming my way. Here it is. The man's... Well, you can just go ahead and send that over my way. So that's, let's see, subtracted from $25. I'll give you 45 minutes. You won't be able to do that. I owe Woods a dollar. Oh, did you guys got a little extra something for you, too, just in case nobody believed me? What is that? In case you thought maybe I went and wrote that on my own. What is that? This is a disc, Mike. Let me see it. From Core Medical Center. Let me see it. It's an x-ray. Core Woods had to go in there. Yes.
That's what I did yesterday. A medical evaluation. This three-page document. Yes. Because you guys wouldn't believe it. And I had to get a disc. And a disc. Hey, listen. I don't trust anybody. You don't trust anybody. Well, I blame the show. Yeah. That is baggage that you're projecting onto your friend. That is true. I have given you no reason. I blame the guy that cost me 25 grand. Yeah. You never had it to begin with. I should have. But it was spent. I'll spin it. You bet I did. I would have had it. That's what happens when you're a team, Jay. Jay doesn't know about team. I do know team. I know a team trains together. Cam, call Air France and cancel. I begged you. You did not beg me. Oh, my gosh. Swim is what I said. Come swim in my house. I'll swim with you. Might as well call Continent Airlines. Continent. Continent Airlines. Give them a call right now. Cancel that damn trip. Woods, I'm looking in this thing, and I'm trying to make heads or tails of it. What are you looking at? Well, I'm looking at this CD-ROM that you... This supposed... You're such a jerk. What else do I have to do? CD-ROM that you gave me of your supposed... Yes. Such a jerk. Let's see here. Can you open it? If I can, I'm going to put it on the web. I'm going to let people see it. You should.
Because I know I took a picture of my disgustingly swollen, broken ankle and put it on Facebook. I guess that wasn't enough for you. No. I mean, it was definitely hurt. No, it was broken, in fact. Well. There is no. Hey, Jay. Yes, sir. There is no picture on here. Oh, BS. You guys, you wouldn't know how to read it anyway. I'm telling you. He gave you a diagnosis. No, it's there. It's there. It's called Jared. And Jared's services are available for hire. Oh, gosh. He could have typed it himself. Oh! Does Jared have a new website called createyourxrayonline.com? Because I am looking on here right now, and there is nothing on this. You need to find a way to pull it up, then. All right. Well, maybe. That's Jared. I'll just, you know what? I'll just have to look at it, I guess, sometime when I can figure it out, because there's nothing on here. Feel free to call. And talk to my doctor. It may be a DVD, but you have a DVD player. Listen, there's files on here. It's just there's no pictures. There's pictures. I haven't looked at it because I didn't think I would need to. I have a feeling what this disc is is probably just a... Like an old Whiskeytown disc. I just put a core orthopedic label over. They hand them out of the disc when you come in. I think what it is is it's probably the same thing that I read. I don't know if there's any pictures. No, I asked for a picture of my x-ray, and they said, yeah, we'll have to wait. I waited 15 to 20 minutes.
And they brought me up a disc and they, here you go, Mr. Woods. I said, thanks. This should suffice. Actually, in fairness to you, they said, here you go, radio's Stephen Woods. This is your... No, they didn't know me. From Woods on Sports. Yes. Well, formerly of Woods on Sports. Hello, Stephen Woods, formerly of Woods. Woods, Woods, Woods. Right. Woods, Woods, Woods. We don't do that. Woods on Sports. Oh, images. Images. How about another fresh 22 if you're wrong again? No, there's nothing on there. Just give it. I'm going to give it up. I'm going to give it up. Give it to me. I'll find it. All right. We'll take a look because I want to post it. I know you do. I know you. That's why you want to do it. Yeah, just for the people out there. I want to post it for the people. Fine. You feel free to post that diagnosis too. I owe you an apology. M1 Adam from Poway. What was the word of the day? What? Yes, you're right. It was continent. For a second, I thought he said coconut. You are a winner. You're going to see the Niners and the Chargers play tonight. Yeah, you are. How about that? Yeah. Party time. Hang on, okay? Okay, thank you. Hang on the line. Listen, I saw a photograph of your ankle, and it was clearly messed up. Hideous. It was giant. I'm not kidding.
This is no exaggeration the size of a grapefruit. That's not an exaggeration. I know. How much do I love playing with my semi-pro baseball team, the Tipsy Crows? How much do I love it? More than almost anything. I'll give you that your ankle was broken. I will not give you that you play for a semi-professional baseball. It's semi-pro. You just slip that in. Well, Woods, it's an adult little league team. It's not little league. We're over two. It's a big league. It's semi-professional because we don't pay. Yeah. So, in fact, we get paid. No. But somebody pays for it. Right. Not us. But in turn, you guys call yourselves the Tipsy Crows, right? Isn't that how that works? Yeah, it's a sponsorship. Okay. Have you guys ever heard of a place called Intervention in Vegas? Oh, yeah. Oh, dude. Yes. It's a hard rock. M1. It's badass. Is it Ryan? Ran. Ran from San Diego. Yeah. You're calling to tell us about intervention. Yeah. I was in Vegas at the Hard Rock Intervention. Oh, yeah. I've been there before. What is it? It's awesome, man. There's tons of people there. I was surrounded by hot chicks all day. The thing that dawned on me later was I was in the pool a lot. So was everybody else.
And it dawned on me I didn't notice anybody getting out of the pool to pee. So I was basically standing around at intervention all day in everybody's pee. The bars and everything are in the water. It's just like... Are you serious? Oh, that's hideous. The bars are in the water? I heard that before. The bars are in the water? Yeah, they call them swim up, but I think most people stand in waist-deep water all day. Yeah, in the water and drinking all day long means someone's got to go to the bathroom sometime. In and out. And people were not getting out of the pool? Not that I noticed. You don't lose your spot, man. You got a spot and you're posted up and you got chicks around you. You ain't leaving, man. You're just going to go. No one cares. Apparently not. You're drunk. Yeah, you don't notice at the time. It's a toilet. You know what? Well, you're standing in a toilet. You're standing in, yes, it's a giant, giant toilet. There's plenty of chlorine in there. Oh. There's not enough chlorine in the world. It's a lot of pee, though. There's a million people in that pool. How big is this pool, Ran? It's good size, but I mean, that thing was packed with people. And I'm not being prude or anything. I mean, I pee in the shower every once in a while, but I don't pee hundreds of people's worth of pee in the shower. Oh, yeah. That is gnarly that they do that. They should do that.
Remember the urban legend that if you peed, the color would turn a different... Cloud. Yeah, the pool would turn a different color. Yeah, they did that in an Adam Sandler movie. There was no color change going on. There's what? What's that? There was no color change going on in there. You should. I have a question for you. I guarantee there was some pee in. If you go back and you go back to intervention, will you just do the same thing that you did and just stay in there all day, post it up with hot chicks? Yeah. Probably would. You will. Oh, yeah. Well, I mean, yes. It's not like... If I go back and I haven't died, you know, I guess it's okay. Oh, it's not going to kill you. It's just going to disgust you. You could drink it if you needed to. Oh, wow. No, you can't. It's got chlorine in it. Well, I mean, I'm saying the urine. You could. Yeah. It's not going to kill you. Urine's not going to kill you. It's not that. That's not the issue. It's just gross. It is gross. There was a baseball player that used to get really bad blisters, and he used to do it on his hands in the shower, and he said that was the cure for his blisters. Yeah, one of my former castmates used to do it for a sunburn. Put it on a sunburn. Actually sprayed it on there with a spray bottle. Didn't do anything. Kaiser Helpline said to do it. If any of you guys get a sunburn, I'll help you out.
Easy, R. Kelly. Oh, man. Your name is Ran? Yeah. Okay, R-A-N. Because I thought I was saying it wrong. It's Ran. Yeah. Now, just not to get too, you know, rabbit hole, but I know, but how did that name? Why are you named that? Randy. Oh, got it, got it, got it. It's your DJ name. Got it, got it. It's DJ Rand. It's DJ Rand. Well, congratulations, you know, for standing in that. And thank you. Thank you for the heads up. If anybody's going there. Mike, I know you're going to be there soon. Yeah. They have it in San Diego. Holler. Couldn't pay me enough. You couldn't. Can I have my x-ray back, please? Yeah, as soon as you give me one. I just gave you one. If this is me, you'll be a show now. Bye, gorgeous. Good job. Here's plastic. Excellent. 570-1949. Or text. That is funny. At 949mikey at gmail.com. More coming up in just a couple. FM 94.9. Is it now or is it two minutes? Now? What?

I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94. I'm a pretty honest guy and I've been a pretty honest guy for many years. Woods. I'll never forget it as long as I live. It was some village in Africa. She had like 60 of those rings around her neck and just boobs hanging out. Lauren. You know what I think the scariest thing is about clowns? They don't say anything. Even though they can talk. And Jay. Just a man trying to do the right thing. On FM 94.9. We're looking at the picture right now of Woods' ankle, and there's no break in it. I don't see a break anywhere. We're looking at the actual x-ray. There's no break in it. You guys are not doctors. When did you graduate from medical school? Last year. Jay, when did you graduate from college? Oh, wait. But I don't see any breaks, though. I don't give a rat's ass what you see. You guys don't have the equipment. A rat's ass doesn't make sense. I meant a rat's ass or something else. A.
Rats A. Rats A, sorry. I don't give a rat's belly what you think. Yeah. That's true, too. I mean, it's nice. It's a nice made-up x-ray. Well, no, it's a real x-ray. He just went in and said, hey, can you give me the x-ray of my ankle? And they gave it to him. Perfectly healthy. So your friend, Winder. You guys don't have the equipment to look at. You don't have the equipment. I'm not trying to judge him. I can't type over an x-ray. I don't even care anymore. I don't give a s if you guys believe me or not. I got a fresh. $24 in my wallet. Yeah. Okay. Wipeout. Hey, dude, you could have just asked me to borrow $22. Wipeout. If you need it that bad, you could just ask me. Wipeout's over. I haven't even got Chris. It's my favorite when we get Chris. Wipeout is over. Yep, it's over. We lost. Yeah, we. We lost. At least I didn't lie about setting a course record. Hey, that's what the producer told me when I came across. Of course he did. Sure he did. Sure he did. But you didn't even win, Jay, for that show. So how could you have set the record? Right. You didn't even have the fastest time. At that point when I came across. Yeah, you were the first guy to go. That must be a course record. I was the third guy to go. Oh, yeah. The first guy beat you. Woodsy. And he was talking about all the people that had tested the track. Question was. I finished it. Fantasyland. I've seen most people finish it. Fantasyland. Have you watched your episode again since we all saw it?
I haven't watched that show since and probably never will. You will not watch your episode. If Jay goes back on there, as I think he should because he's freaking good at that stuff, I will be rooting against him like I root against the Boston Red Sox. You have no idea. I'll Tonya Harding him before he goes. I would love to go back with you and do it all over again. I wouldn't do it for a billion dollars. And he's not kidding. We've talked to Woods about this. He would not go on Wipeout again ever. And he said he didn't care how much it is. I don't blame him. Like, I'll go on Jeopardy. I'll go on something that maybe can showcase some stuff that I'm good at. I mean, it's like me going to a surfing competition with Jay. I'm going to lose. Or escape. You know, I'll try anything. But I'm not good at everything. I bet Lauren would be good at it. She would be. I don't know. It's different. You look at it and you're like, oh, dude, this is a piece of cake. I used to watch a show when I was a kid called Double Dare. I'm like, these guys are idiots. I would kill them on the show. I naively thought the same thing about Wipeout. I'm like, I'm athletic. I can do it. I used to beg my parents to go on Family Double Dare with me. Are you?
Aren't I? You were athletic maybe 20 years ago. At athletics, I'm athletic. At, like, balance and stuff like that, I'm not that good. It's a fitness. Do you think Jay will ever forgive you? No. We will never be friends again. We were, like, we were getting to be, like, real close friends. And it makes me sad because, like, our drives up there, you guys, and back were the greatest. They were so much fun of you. Listen, listen. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. Here's the deal. He's upset because he wanted you to exercise before you went. It wouldn't have made a difference, though, Jay. I'll tell you why not. I'll tell you why it wouldn't have made a difference. The thing that got Woodsy, I don't believe... Now, let me finish my statement before you freak out. But Woods and Jay were on Wipeout together. They almost won the 50 grand. But the reason that I think that Woods did not complete that course didn't have anything to do with... Stamina or conditioning. I think it came down to the confusion. And, you know, he got in that. What's that thing called? The Iron Maiden? Iron Maiden. You don't have a sense of direction. And you were thrown off. And I hit the crap out of my head. And you hit your head. Here's the reality. As I see it. No, you can go back and watch the episode. Every time he'd go to make his last. He almost finished the Iron Maiden. He was one leap away. And when he went to.
Jump over. He under jumped. He didn't give it enough power and he missed it by that much. He underestimated it. No. He's out of shape. He was carrying an extra 40 pounds. 40. 40 pounds. You got to say, what would you say you're overweight? If you're looking at your perfect? No, probably 20 pounds overweight. And it's perfect. There's a T at the end. Woods weighs more than me and he still could jump farther than me. Right. No, I wouldn't say so. All right, let's. I'm never going to move on. I'm never moving on. 25 grand. We can do a broad jump challenge after the show. All right. Speaking of broads, Lauren is the only broad on this show. And so we are going to rely on you for this next feature, LLB. All right. To listen to what each of us are going to say individually and then tell us whether you agree or disagree. Okay. This was the challenge that we were given. Me, Woods and Jay were given the challenge. What will take that girl that you're dating from being the girl that you're going out with a little bit to girlfriend? Now you're you're you and her committed. You're trying to get this girl to become a girlfriend. What do you do? What does it take? All right. Let it let us begin with Jay. Oh.
Wish I had them in front of me right this second. Me too. As do I. Here, I got it. There we go. Well done. Ella B had it. Okay. Well, I'm supposed to have my own time. Yeah, yeah. Oh, I forgot. Here we go. These are my top five things. Number one, don't smother her. Okay, now give me an example. Just always have to be around her. No matter what, she has no time of her own. You're just like, what are you doing? What are you doing? Can I come over? Can I be there? Mike, I mean, keep her chained in the basement. That's fine. Just don't smother her. You can put a pillow on her face. Just don't hold it down. That's smothering. That's smothering. Two, be flexible and do things she likes to do. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I see what you're saying. Three, have a life outside of hers. Yeah, which I see as a similarity between that and not smothering.
Well, I mean, you can not be hanging around, but if she sees that you have other things going on in your life, like, hey, what are you doing this weekend? Biking, climbing, hiking, surfing, skating, wipeouting. Training. Training. It's more. You have stuff going on in your life as well. Training. Yeah. Constant training. Constant. Listen to her. Know her likes and dislikes. Oh, boy. Wow, Woods. That was a strong... Call out. I believe that by you saying, oh boy. Yeah, I mean, that's straight from Glamour Magazine. Is it? Isn't it? Don't you want to know everything about her? No. Know her likes and dislikes? She never was. Really. Go ahead. Is that it? No, one more. And the last one is, and boy, there's a grief coming for this. Be very clean. Have a nice, clean house in all areas of your car. Clean and nice. And be in shape. That's all I want. Clean and be clean and in shape. And be in shape. Basically, that's a direct shot at Woods and Mike. All right? And lastly, be in shape. Hey, guys. I don't know if you caught the last one. Be in shape. Oh, my neck. I pulled a muscle. I pulled a muscle. Woods? She's probably broken. All right. You ready? Do not show too much interest in her. Oh, what a...
At the beginning of your courtship. Don't show much interest in her? I said too much. Don't show too much interest in her at the beginning of your courtship. What would showing too much interest look like? Much like Jay's smothering. You know, don't show too much interest. Don't call too much. Don't text too much. Don't be a needy SOB. Okay. All right? I think that goes without saying. Personally. Okay. Okay. Sorry. Dr. Phil. All right. All right. All right. Always find a way to touch her as you're walking. Hand on the small of the back. Maybe grab her arm lightly. Let her know that you're interested, but not too interested. What if she doesn't like physical affection? That's not the girl for you. Okay. Wait a minute. Now, when you say you, you mean all men. No, I don't mean you. Me. I mean all men. All men. Right. She doesn't like physical. Well, yeah, that would be. I mean, why would you?
She's a head case. What? She is. If she doesn't like to be touched at all by you? Well, I mean, if she doesn't... A light. I mean, we're talking, that's PDA. Not heavy petting. Yeah, I'm not talking about third base. I'm talking about... No, no, no. The small of the back. And I apologize. I probably did give the impression that I meant that you would be walking down the street getting third base. Yep. All right? Feels real good. That's what I thought you would do. I know. I know. And that was my bad. Wow. This one, okay, I'll just say it. Always take her somewhere nice. Always pay for everything. Have a reservation and always tip well. Always. Yeah. Okay? You'll get her. It'll help. It's going to help, really. You're going to buy her. She's for sale. Wait, when are we supposed to be commenting on these? When we're done. Okay. When we're done. All right. Don't be too eager. Take notes if you need to. I am. All right. Don't be too eager to ask her out again. Be kind of aloof. Be kind of a D and leave some mystery. Oh, man. I can't despise that one anymore. I'm sorry, but it's worked for me.
I don't know. A bunch. I always tell you this. It's like a broken record. You getting girls happens despite your stuff. BS. BS. You're a handsome guy. Not anymore. You're a handsome guy. Not anymore. I'm married now. I'm just saying, man. To me, that's... Go ahead. All right. Ask her a bunch of questions about herself. Broads love to hear themselves talk, so just shut up and listen. Wow, that's number five. There you go. Broads, Stephen R. Woods. Taking notes. There you go. That's a true statement. Wow. LMB, she can cut me with her eyes. Mine are. Now, again, you're listening to what's going to take her from being just a, you know. That girl to your girlfriend. I say... Now, I'm going to fall victim to my own criticism of you, Woods. Okay. Because not everybody can do this. But I say leave funny slash clever messages on her voicemail and be vulnerable enough to be a dork for her to make her laugh. Jay's laugh got me. His laugh got me. That laugh just cuts right down. He just goes...
Into your soul. That and a hundred bucks and you're set. You'd buy her some cocaine? No, she's a prostitute. Number two, listen, don't tune her out, but actually pay attention. Don't make it about you, but ask how her day is going and went and care. If it was a bad day, don't try to fix it. Just be a compassionate ear. How dare you? I'm laughing at you. I'm laughing at L-O-B's face. You are. Listen, I was as honest with it as I could be. All of us were. Listen, fine. I'm getting looks from the men in the room like I'm the biggest. Nice Bieber. You need to stop it, Jay.
I'm back on Jay's team. Yeah, there you go. I love you, man. I'm sorry. Number three, be kind and sweet. Tell her how pretty she looks to you and make her feel special. You'll never see her again. Yeah. Well, this is a girl that you're dating, and so you want to go from dating to being your girlfriend. The bottom line is you like this girl for a reason, and she should hear authentically and genuinely what those things are. Number four, mix up the texts. FSS. Funny, sexy, sweet. Combination. Sometimes a funny one, sometimes a sexy one, sometimes a sweet one. Mine just reads SSS. Sexy, sexy, sexy. Right. I want to squeeze them. Number five, pick your battles. If she's unreasonable about something, don't overreact. She gets a few freebies. But let her know you have a limit because she'll respect you for it.
Love on that girl. If she wants that hand held, hold it. She wants to vent, listen. She wants to snuggle, snuggle. Your priority is her, not your ego. Well, that's because you have big jugs. How dare you? I even got the fillet eyes from the girl in the room. I can't wait for this feedback. Fine. I can't wait for this feedback. Oh, wow. That was a post-it note there. You know what? We'll actually take a time out. Let her compose herself. Yeah, let her compose herself. Get her notes together. Notes together. And when we come back. I can't wait. And by the way, I also want to hear from other girls so that I don't have to. No, no. Why can't we hear? I want to hear from. I want to hear what women think. 570-1949. Mine counts the most.
But yes, that is true. Now, text them at 949mikey at gmail.com or call Mikey now. 570-1949. More of the Mikey Show coming up in minutes on FM 94.9. Okay, Mr. Jenkins, what seems to be the problem? That's great. Oh, yeah. It's Mikey Show Live. We've got a live studio audience in here right now. And we're doing that every day, by the way. If you didn't know, you can be a part of our live studio audience every single day. What we do is during the 9 o'clock hour, except on Fridays when we actually do from 8 to 10. Monday through Thursday, we do 9 to 10, where we let M1s come and hang out in the studio and get to see the inner workings of how we do this. And it's a comfortable place, man. Studio M is a very comfortable place. So I'd like people to be able to check it out. If you want to do it yourself, just go to MikeyShow.com. And when you go there, you'll see a place you can sign up for Mikey Show Live and come and hang out in the studio. A big couch, a giant bean bag, which, by the way, has lost its fluffiness. You know? That thing used to be like you could take a running jump and jump into it. I wonder what happened to it. We had a lot of guests. No, that's not it, I don't think. No, I think it's because Mikey sat on it. And Woods was cuddling with him. That's right. I've got pictures to prove it. Listen, it ain't nothing that I'm sure Rebecca hasn't had to deal with. Replacing couches, beds.
Chairs, tables, toilets. That's right. The whole thing. Car seats, you know. My cat Dunn had to get his seats in his car replaced. That's right. Because eventually they just go flat. Fell right through. He fell through. All four tires pop at the same time. His ass was dragging down the fire. That's right. Ooh, that hole is dead. All right. Seriously? That hole? Super duper fly hole. Thank you. So, Jay and Woods and I. We put together separate lists of what will take her from the girl that you're dating to a girlfriend. And Jay's overall deal was don't smother her. Have a life of your own. Don't be overweight. Just be clean. In shape for her. In shape. It's funny because I'm not clean or out of shape. Well, I think he was basically just directing his laser beams directly at me and you. Well, yeah. Just like things orderly and, you know. And not fat. And not fat. Just orderly. And just, you know, thin. I hate fat. Yeah. Oh, Mac, did I mention I hate fat? I hate it. I see fat. Makes my blood boil. All right. Woods.
I think that the overall tone of Woods' thing is, you know, don't be a little bit aloof. Don't be overtly interested because it lets her know that you're too interested. And girls like a challenge. Treat her as badly as you can. And then... You'll get her. There it is right there. And mine was the one that elicited some laughs from my bros. Well, it's taking them to a girlfriend, which is precisely what your list will do. She will be a friend of yours that's a girl. Yeah. It'd be great if you're trying to get them. Sleeping with me. Yeah. But she'll be your friend. If you were trying to get a boyfriend, you were right on target. I don't think so. Well, L.O.B. is the girl on the show, and she is going to tell us. where we went right and where we went wrong. I feel as though I hold a lot of power. You sure do. Now, do you want me to give you individual critiques and then tell you who I think is the best? Or do you want me to just tell you overall what I think is going to work? Yeah, sure. Yes. I gave you options. Option one. Yes.
Yeah, because we know who's going to win, so go right ahead. Well, we didn't know it was contest, Jay. Yeah, we don't know, but don't we? Okay. I have to say, of all the lists, I agree with Jay the most. Oh, God. Weird. Why are you perpetuating this? Weird. Weird. God. However, I also think that he found this in, like, Maxim or Cosmo or something like that. Swear to Mikey's God. Oh, weird. That was weird. That was strange. Oh, that was odd. Well, let me tell you the key. My favorite part of Jay's list was number four, which was listen to her, know her likes and dislikes. It's not enough you two. So we're getting this from middle child, by the way. We're getting this from the ultimate middle child. I wonder why that appealed to the middle child. And there's plenty of ladies in the room that will back me up. It's not enough for you guys to pretend that you're interested. I mean, we want that, too. But if you later on. bring up something that we thought, like, oh, wow, that's a really mundane detail. But that's precisely what I said. I said listen and to pay attention. Listen, don't tune her out, but actually pay attention. But the key, Mike, the key is to know her likes and dislikes. Lauren, I said ask her questions about herself because broads love to hear themselves talk. That's not enough.
And by the way, you two middle children, I'm only on Jay's list right now. So the likes and dislikes is a big thing. And if you go take her to do something, she mentioned one time, hey, you know, I always thought it would be cool to do like a hot air balloon ride. And then sometime he takes you on a hot air balloon ride. I think that's awesome. Now, Jay saying the be clean and in shape. I do agree with the be clean part. That's a big turn on. Well, I'm turned on right now. that you said that that's the only part of it that you care about. The fact that you don't care if they're in shape and now you are talking my language lately. The in shape part is like you're not even going to start dating someone if they're not your physical type. Don't turn into something that you're not. Just be yourself. Jamie and Rebecca must be chubby chasers then. Everybody's attracted to different people. They must be fetishists. Fat ass chubby chasers. I'm pretty sure she's blind. Blind fetishist chubby chasers. That's right. Hey. Rebecca, Jamie, y'all ought to see Dr. Sandy T. Philbin. Now we're on a Woods' list. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. This list should be called how to get her to sleep with you. That is 100% correct. I thought that's what we were talking about. No, you creep! Because this will work, especially, like, the younger they are. Woods. My wife's older than me. Well, you have an affinity towards the high school girl. I don't. But...
But I'm saying the younger you are, you're just like, oh my gosh, he's being like such an a-hole. So into him. It's so true. Also, he said that the have a reservation thing, I disagree with that. Oh, boy. You should have a couple places in mind. And then say to her, do you feel like Chinese? Do you feel like this? You know what's really cool is when you show up to a place and they're like, oh, yeah, it'll be 45 minutes. Then you look like a douche. You walk in, oh, Mr. Woods, your table's ready. Yeah, thank you. Maybe grease the maitre d' a little bit. You walk right in. Well, and let them know that you're on the radio. Yeah, hey, it's me. I would pull a little easy big time if I saw some greasing of the mater. Yeah, but then we'd be sleeping together. Well, yeah, but you just wouldn't be my boyfriend. Right. Which is, who cares? Also, you don't. You are a creep. You are the biggest creep.
You don't want them to know right off the bat that you call women broads. Yeah. True story. Okay, I'll give you that. You might want to just keep that one. Woods waited at least three weeks before L.O.B. and Sienna had known that he called girls broads. Was it that long? No, it was about three hours. They looked at me the first time they saw me like I was a goat. They did. They're like, oh, this is going to be fun. Yeah. Mike? Uh-huh. Go ahead. This is what you do if you want to be with a gay guy. No, no, no. This is what you do if you want to be... No. Mike. You know what? You know what? Oh, my head. My head. My head. Oh, God. It's the most demeaning sound effect. It's the most demeaning sound effect. Something has gone wrong. I tripped a wire. I hate it. I hate that sound effect. I dripped a wire. I dripped a wire. He's no going back. He's squinting with one eye. Oh, my gosh. Woods just had a stroke. You want to hear my honest opinion? Whatever. No, no, no. Okay. Here's my opinion. Hey, listen. It doesn't matter. You're one person. I know. You're one person. How do you know I'm not going to say something nice? Oh, I don't know how I don't know that.
I think that your list is good for once you're locked in. This is a little too strong, these things, at first. It's weird. Just a little, coming on a little too strong. So, keep Mikey's rules in mind. You keep working on it, Mike. Once you're in a relationship. Plus, Mike, I really don't like number four. You said, mix up the text. F-S-S. Funny, sexy, sweet. You're a big fan of the acronyms. I get it. But I don't like the sexy part of that. Because guys are not good at being sexy. It's really awkward. We're good at being filthy, not sexy. Ladies agree when the guys see me all over you. How about an example? Just give us an example. Of something sexy? Yeah, let's hear it. No. I stunk. What? Oh, my God. Holy crap.
He is one of the weirdest people. Once you're in a relationship, you can try the you know what. What's sexy? Sexy is really, like, if a guy tried while we were still just in that weird phase to send me something sexy, I'd be like, oh, gosh, awkward, awkward, awkward. Like how? Like what, though? What's a sexy text? That's what I would like to do. Are you saying dirty? No. You're saying sexy? Yeah. I want to kiss you. I think there's a difference between sexy and dirty. I want to French kiss you. Like flirty or like I want you to dress in a T-bone steak tonight? Hickory dickory duck. Here's a picture of Let's Talk. Goodbye. Somebody just wrecked their car on the 5. I guarantee you, a car just crashed. Subtle. Extremely. He's so subtle. He's subtle like a jackhammer. Yes. At 3.30. Like a tornado. On a Monday morning. Hot here. Yes. Let's see. M1 Melissa from San Diego. Are you there? Yeah, hey. What do you think? I have to agree with Jay most. Weird.
What can I say? You just kind of need to listen. That's a problem that a lot of guys don't have. I mean, you need to be sweet about it, too. I mean, don't go and, like, be a jerk and, like, have to pay attention. What? Always work for me. And you need to be in shape. You know, oh, gosh. You got to be in shape. Stop with the in shape. And he's let it go. Don't do that. You know why it worked for you, Woods? Because you're six feet tall and good looking. That's why. I had a mouthpiece on me and I was kind of a D. I like that. How many nice guys do you see getting girls? None. Few. That's not true. They have money. They have money. No, nice is in now. Nice is the new black. M1 Lacey from La Jolla. Hi. Hi. I think that overall, Mikey has his finger on the pulse of what, like, we're talking about not right out of the gate. You're just trying to date. You've already been dating. The pulse of San Francisco. Yes, absolutely he has his pulse. He's got his finger on it. That's why he really kind of sounds like what I think would work. And I think this generation of men, guys, are trying to be way too aloof all the time. It's like so kind of...
ego after a while women it might get them you know reel them in for the first 10 minutes and after a while they really they want a real relationship the listening thing big i mean jay's got a pretty good list also i have to agree but you know at that point in the game you know we want to be listened to sensitivity yes i agree and we want balance you got to have some confidence to the point that you're not going to be that needy guy and it's just about balance There you go. Thank you very much. Basically, Mikey, get it? It's about being me. It's Mikey's day, baby. Thank you. Thank you very much. M1 Karina from San Diego. Yeah, so I'm kind of agreeing with Woodsy over here. How many calls did Chris have to take to get one person to agree with Wood? An angel like Karina. You like Woodsy's list. I gotta do, okay, well, I mean, for starters, being a douche, that kind of sounds bad, but we kind of, like, at the end of the day, we kind of want something that we can't grab, like, at an instant. Sorry, no pun intended. How old are you? I am 23 and engaged. And I'm not talking a douche, you know, I'm not talking a douche like...
like a douchebag but you be nice to her be very sweet to her but be kind of a like be kind of aloof like don't be and smother her all the time you know don't smother was on the list and i'm glad that you said that woods because i don't want to be a jerk no no i'm but what i'm saying i'm glad that you said that because my uh inclination usually with women is to go isn't and so i've seen it It's true. When I see Rebecca each day, when I get home, I go... When I walk in the morning, I'm like, Mike, I'm not your wife. Stop doing that. M1, Annie from San Diego. Hi, I'm calling in to say that if I weren't married and Mikey weren't married, I'd be driving down there. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. It's very nice of you. I'm sure what his wife would like to hear. Oh, well, hey, listen. How old are you, by the way? Oh, excuse me? How old are you, by the way? 50. All right, well, listen. So, fine. What's your point, Woods? I was just curious. You asked the last girl. I just thought if we're going to get... I had said previously that young girls would go from...
Woods' game. Yes. And Rose from the Golden Girl would go for him. Fine. Whatever. You know what? His, yours were tips of how to stay together. Blanche would be a big player in your list. Tips for picking up grandmas. No. Not that she's Blanche, but I'm just saying. A little older. My thing is that if this is a girl that you're going out with already, You're dating. You're dating. You've been on some dates. Yep. Yeah. Some dates. And how are you... Now, you want her to be more than that. You want her to be your girlfriend. That's what I think you... You've got to trick her and make sure that she wants you to want to be her girlfriend. Right. Her boyfriend. Well said. Well said, Jay. Well said. If you've been dating for a while and the... and the girl and the guy are both interested in taking to the next step. I mean, I think what most women are looking for is the friendship. If you've dated before... I do, too. Listen, I think that if you're going to... I think that if you want somebody to be your girlfriend, they should be like your best friend. I mean, honestly, I do think that. And only that? What about... No. Yeah, yeah. But, I mean, like you said, L.O.B.
That's why you're going to be physically attracted to him anyway. You've got to take that into... That's a given. But it's got to be... When I first saw the list come through, when we were talking about listening to her and going out on a first date and stuff, I was getting that excited feeling of, oh man, it was so fun to be like... into somebody and right at that verge of realizing that that person was going to be your boyfriend, you want it to be a little bit playful and sexy time. You don't want it to be like, we're going to be friends forever. Once again, we have proved how absolutely incompatible L.O.B. and I would ever be and how L.O.B. and Jay are lovers. And I'd get her once. Yeah. I'd get her once. Yeah. Yeah. Matt and I, when he was first courting me, he is probably listening and probably is going to say, oh, great. But he came on a little too strong. So then I had to back it up. Beep, beep. I'll say. And then when he started not caring anymore was when I was like, hey, Matt, remember me? 100%. I remember one time that I actually, that I lied to a girl when I was trying to.
court her and i said we were having breakfast at the baltimore cafe in la mesa and i said i am the type of person that is very afraid of commitment and it worked she was in yeah it's weird and you know what and but i think back on that and i go that's lame i know i know that's lame but it's jedi It's a Jedi mind trick and it works on these girls. You know, you're like, listen, I don't like you. I'm not that into you. Then they're into you. It's weird. It works. No, you can't. It's not that you're not into them. It's just. You can't let them know that you're into you. You just can't. Like Matt told me that he referred to me as his girlfriend before I knew that that's where we were. And it sent me into this like. Alarm. The alarms went off. That. That's exactly what I did. Well, L.O.B., I thought that that was like the cool way that you're supposed to do it. I thought you're supposed to be like, you know, hey, so I told my friend that my girlfriend, blah, blah, blah. Yeah, but he didn't do it in a funny way.
How did he do it? He slapped you. He said, shut up, B. Make me a turkey pot pie. You're my girlfriend. Do it. I was on vacation. He said, I can't wait for my girlfriend to come back. And I was like, who's your girlfriend? Oh. Him sweating. That would be me. Did he text you that? No, it got slipped into conversation. He said it. That's not me. Well, I can see that. Now, that would not have been my move. I would not have said that. I would not have gone, I can't wait for my girlfriend to come back. That's presumptuous. Something like, I can't wait to introduce my girlfriend to my friends. I wouldn't even have done that. Being sweet, and it was crazy. Well, you're like, hey, I didn't know I was your girlfriend. Hey, I can't wait for my fiance to get back here. You're like, We've been on two dates. I don't go home. How many dates have you been on? And he said my girlfriend. Well, they made love. Were you sleeping together? Six hours in time. The answer to that is yes. I don't recall. Probably not. And my answer to you is yes. That's a weird clip of me. That's a weirder one. Yes.
I've tried everything. L-O-B? That is way more information than I think. I'm never going to have to shave or wax. Lauren! Inappropriate! Oh, babe. Oh, come on. Now you're just so weird. I accidentally had a piece of beef yesterday. Yes! And Jay. I like my coffee black. On FM 94.9. Mikey Show live. Let's hear it in the studio. The show comes a time. Oscar De La Hoya. We got some clips of Oscar, and apparently he cheated on his wife. I didn't know. And we have him talking about that. You will find this kind of interesting, especially Jay and Woods, because they both like to surf, and Lauren. They got a new device that this guy just kind of dreamt up. Now, you tell me if you think that this would be cool in a wetsuit.
I took off on the wrong wave and had a horrible wipeout, and the wipeout was terrible. I got held under for two waves, and I almost drowned, and I sort of had an idea to incorporate an air bladder, you know, just like the airplane one, where you go poof, and it inflates immediately. So I wrote an email to Hub, who is the wetsuit designer at Billabong, and I told him my idea, and we kind of went back and forth about it. you know, incorporate this, like, airplane vest or, you know, inflatable vest somehow. And I was just like, whoa. You know, I don't know if we can do that. I went, whoa. I never even considered it. It took about five or six months going back and forth with Billabong and going back and forth with the company that's making the air bladders and the flotation device. Thankfully, the first company I contacted.
is the company that we're working with now, which is Mustang Survival. They've been very helpful and very excited, I think as excited as we are. We drew up some sketches, and I sent them his way, and we kind of started to think about, you know, the size and shape of the bladder, and brought some materials. We just began cutting, sewing, and literally, like, I think within two hours, we had a prototype. And so I get this box in the mail with all the cylinders and all the gear and all this stuff. And I was so excited to open this box, and I went and did the testing. And I swam down, and I pulled the thing. And as soon as it started inflating, I was just like, this changes the game. This absolutely is a game changer. And I was so excited, I couldn't believe it. I mean, I couldn't wait to get back home to tell my wife, first of all. And then I emailed Hub back at Billabong and just said, Oh my God, we got it. This is absolutely way better than I was ever hoping it was going to be. So this guy can wipe out. All right. And I mean, he can get, they showed him, get shoved underwater probably 10 feet, maybe more. And he hits that button and it goes.
and just launches him right up to the surface. Awesome. Yeah. I mean, especially when you're in a situation, too, where you're surfing and you're disoriented. Yeah, you don't know which way is up. You don't know which way is up. But wouldn't it shoot you down? No. Because it's going up one way. Right. Well, don't look at me. What's that? I'm just spitballing here. I'm just throwing out ideas. Yeah, man. Hey, Mike, one idea I had was that gravity worked the other way. Yes. That's true. The only thing that would freak me out was if I wanted to get out of the way of a wave, and all of a sudden I'm super floaty, and I can't get underneath, and it's tossing me over the lip. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I've thought about that, and also it could be like a false security blanket. Because what if someone's like, well, now I can just wipe out and do whatever. Why are you doing my voice? Shot up. Yeah, what if somebody was like, hey, now I can just go out and do whatever I want. What if up is down? Inexperienced, go out and head high. That's right. What qualifies you as inexperienced? Well, your name's Woods. How many years do you need? How many sessions? No, no, no. My honest opinion of that would be, are you still on a long board or are you on a short board?
That's a false thing. That's false. You would think that? People think, oh, you're on a longboard. You're an idiot. That's not true. I didn't say that if you're on a longboard, you're an idiot. There's plenty of people that prefer longboards that have been surfing for decades. Ask Mike Knoll about riding giants, pal, on a giant board. That's what they catch them on. I'd say you're always learning. But you're definitely in it now, Woods. You put in your time. Thank you. Thank you. Finally. He wants me dead, but that's cool. No, no, no. Hey, by the way. I am not surfing today. I'm just going swimming. I'm just swimming. Good job, Woods. I got to see it. I want to feel it. And know. I'll know the minute I put my foot in the water. Yeah, there's no way. Or. I think I'd rather have a board attached. Really? Instead of just swimming. What if it sucks you out? I'm going to stay about. Okay, there you go. Gut deep. If you don't know, there was a storm in the Antarctic. Kicked up some waves that are hitting San Diego today all the way through Labor Day. How would you want to see them, man? I've heard they're incredible. We're talking 10-foot waves. You want to go swimming with me? No. No, no. No, I do not. Use the boogie board that you got. One of the two. How about that wetsuit? Go out. It's kind of a... It's uncomfortable. Do you get flippers? Do you have flippers, too? Oh, yeah. Well, you know what we should do then? We should play golf.
Yeah, let's hit the golf course. I have a guitar. Uh-oh. Monster. Do you? I dare you. I dare you. Monster. You guys are the monsters. That's true. Oscar De La Hoya. Here he is talking about cheating on his wife. Would you also consider yourself a sex addict? Did you become a sex addict as a result of the drinking and the cocaine? I'm sorry. This is an interview with Jay. I'm not addicted. Would you also consider yourself a sex addict? Did you become a sex addict as a result of the drinking and the cocaine? I don't drink cocaine. I don't drink cocaine. I don't consider myself a sex addict. I've been unfaithful to my wife. I was unfaithful. More than once? Yes. Let's be comfortable that a woman is interviewing him. Clearing through him.
A woman that's been cheated on, probably. Just say it. Were you unfaithful or not? Yeah. Unfaithful? How many? Yes, I did. To her. I cheated. Okay. What about your boys? You like your boys? You want them in a vice? They feel good? She means your testicles. Yeah. Does that feel good? No, I wouldn't want to. Would you like a knife in your back? No. Oh, how do you think your wife felt? Oh, well, I told her I'm sorry. Oscar, let's go. This is over. This interview is over. Who's this guy? You cheater, too? No, that is not. No, I'm just a handler. I handle him. Oh, you tell him to cheat? I don't know how to get this microphone off. Why don't you settle down? Why don't you settle down? All of his affairs. Listen, you bitter old wedge. You're a cheater. Come on out of here. Bitter Betty. Settle down. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Bitter Betty. Jaded J. Uh. Is Adam Levine from Maroon 5 gay? No. You silly sausage. Wait a minute. Are you guys sure? Because he was just, well, let me let you hear that. He's just making love to a man. Well, not making love, but slow dancing and kissing. I'm just kidding. When we get back, I'm going to play you a clip. You tell me what's going on. Hello. Make some noise in our live studio audience. This is The Mikey Show, FM 94.9. You're up the grill.

who's the lead singer of Maroon 5, criticizing American Idol. You'll hear why. I don't hate American Idol. Adam Levine exclusive. I don't know how you can argue with facts, Nigel. The voice coach versus the idol producers. He did war of words. I'm just honest. The Maroon 5 frontman and his bandmate Jesse Carmichael sitting down with Extra. Adam defending his controversial comments in Out Magazine, accusing idol producers of masking their gay contestant's sexuality. It was a little strange to me that that was always one detail that was left out. Nigel kind of responded that they don't ask about somebody's sexuality. I understand that. I only really realized this once the voice came out and kind of actively tried to have people's personal lives involved. So he was doing an interview with Out Magazine, which is a gay magazine. And he said that he was upset with American Idol because they don't showcase the fact that someone's gay. I think he's just a dork. I don't think he's gay. I think he's a dork. I think I've seen him with a girl before. He's a killer. He's just a dork. He probably tweeted about it and then they wanted an interview from him. That's his bit. He's a very controversial dork.
tweeter. Is he? Mm-hmm. He puts like crazy stuff out there. He does? Salacious. Yes. As crazy as Adam Levine's gonna get. From Maroon 5. Yeah. You know. Does he do it to like get publicity? He's like Woods. Yeah, he chums the water. Chum the water. That's right. Feels good. Woods does tweet the celebrities. Yeah, I got one last night. Buster Olney from ESPN. Got him real good. Didn't hear back. I bet you showed him. I did show him, but I didn't hear back. You fight with celebrities that you follow on Twitter. Well, it's one-sided. Yes. Because they never respond. They don't respond. Yeah, yeah. I like to throw some stuff in there. He will also call out people on Facebook, like celebrities that aren't on Facebook. But he'll be like, hey, who's laughing now? I can't think of a red sock. That's a good one. Jason Baratek. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he's not on Facebook. I do it to stir up my Red Sox fan friend. Listen, I moved here. Every freaking dude I know is a damn Red Sox fan. All my friends are Red Sox fans. It sucks. Maybe you go on a diet, Big Papi. Oh, wow. So you'll say that stuff? Not that. Yeah, I will. Just don't worry about it. Hi, Hillary. Hi. We missed you. I missed you, too. Welcome back. Thank you. So, Hillary, do we have a meeting tonight? I can't. Oh, God.
Mikey, you just... I don't know. What's today? First Thursday of the month? Yeah, I know, but I don't... He didn't send out... Did he send out an email? I haven't checked my work email since last Friday. I have. I'm running for the emails at 10 o'clock. He hasn't sent anything, which is what I said. I said he usually sends a reminder. But he had already set those up. There wasn't one last month either, was there? I don't think we have one. All right. Well, then it's settled. There you go. Hey, Mike, it's Garrett. Hey, I'm going to tell you something. You're on thin ice. You have your ass in that meeting or you're fired. I'm just kidding, Mike. You're hired. But anyway, I'll see you there. I got pizza. I know you'll be there. I do love the pizza. We always get Mountain Mike's pizza. That's right. Yeah, that's right. It's me, Garrett. Some chicken wings. That's right. You know, we love orange soda. Garrett. So, Hillary, what do you have coming up next? Well, I grabbed some Talking Heads, Jimmy Eat World, New Blink, and another new Mumford & Son song. And then I'm going to play a Katie Elephant song I haven't played in a while. And Desert Island Discs, we'll get that going at noon. I haven't picked it for today, so if anyone wants to submit there, just go to the Desert Island Discs page. Very nice. Jay, by the way, I forgot to mention, in his recap, was talking about how he is coaching...
His son's soccer team. Yep. What? His recap is the same as his blog. It is? Yes. Every day. And I happen to read his blog and laugh because it's amusing. Is it? Yes, it is. Is it a good workout on the beach with the kids? If you could, I don't want to say it, but if you could make love to yourself, you would, I think, is the way that I would put it. Don't be jealous. He says the soccer team, they're having practice twice. A week this year, right? Stepped up to a little age group difference. And you practiced on the beach. Yeah, we did running in the sand, running in the ocean. Awesome. Yeah, it was great. They kicked the ball for an hour and a half. Yep. And he says that you're going to have to remember not to do yoga and practice on the same day. Since Jasper's been out of school, I haven't been able to go to yoga. That's what got me, Mike. So we went for the first time. I wrote myself a note. Quit climbing, biking, hiking, making love, cooking, cleaning. Being hot. Being hot. I almost threw up in there because it was just like so hot. So out of shape. And I was there, which made it hotter. Hell yeah. And then I went and did an hour and a half run on the beach. And that's too much for one man. It'll wipe you out. So I had to have two cans of Campbell's soup. I'm going to get a tattoo that says, know your sexy limits.
It is possible to be too sexy. I push it. I push it. Keep pushing it. Hey, listen. My doctor, last time I saw my doctor, my doctor said, you're pushing your sexy limits. That's right. You better start watching it. Might have to put a sexy monitor on you. I'll let you whip me if I misbehave. It's just that no one makes me feel this way. Oh, wow. I thought that was him singing live because he's mouthing all the words. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Hillary is up next, and we will see you tomorrow morning at 6 o'clock when Mikey shows up.
