During the broadcast, Mikey, Woodsy, Lauren O’Brien and producer Jay debated why quarterbacks suffer more concussions than running backs, using Michael Vick as an example. They also shared personal stories, including Cave Dweller’s awkward transgender mix‑up and the humorous song exchange between Mikey and Woodsy. The show covered the puzzling Coronado mansion case, celebrated Jay’s Glee fandom, examined Woodsy’s black‑joke routine with his friend Eric Terman, and closed with a plug for the upcoming Mikey‑thon charity event.
What happened, in order

Hosts discuss why quarterbacks seem more prone to concussions than running backs, citing Michael Vick and the physics of hits.
Parody song exchange
Mikey reveals he wrote Woodsy a song called "Every Bite You Take" to the tune of Bad, while Woodsy wrote him "Crap Dad" as a humorous jab.
Transgender mix‑up story
Cave Dweller recounts how he mistakenly thought a former coworker who transitioned had reverted to male after seeing a Facebook post and asking invasive questions.
Mikey‑thon plug
Cave Dweller thanks the show and promotes the upcoming Mikey‑thon on October 6‑7, mentioning the movies Cobra and Pretty in Pink.
Glee fandom reveal
Jay admits he is a Gleek, describing his love for the show’s singing, dancing and drama while the others tease him about watching it.
Coronado mansion mystery
The crew details the bizarre case of Rebecca Shackney found hanged nude with a t‑shirt in her mouth and the cryptic message “she saved him. can you save her?” on a bedroom door.
Black jokes and OBF dynamic
Woodsy explains his habit of using a “black voice” with his only black friend Eric Terman and how the group navigates the edgy humor.
Mikey‑thon charity drive
The hosts announce the 28‑hour Mikey‑thon to raise money for Rady Children’s Hospital’s Autism Discovery Institute, noting Woodsy will shave a fryer cut into his head if they exceed last year’s total.

I wanted to mention too, Woodsy, you were so right about Michael Vick and the concussions. And because you were saying it's a great fantasy pickup, but you got to worry about him getting hurt. Got plays with his hair on fire. Yeah. And I thought to myself when you said that, I was like, yeah, but he's so mobile, blah, blah, blah. Well, I read that he got pretty jacked with a concussion. Yeah. And so you may have called that one. Well, they said he's probably going to play Sunday. Yeah. But his bit is he'll tuck that ball and he'll run. Yeah. I mean, he'll just get drilled. Yeah. And how long can you, over the course of a 16-game season, how long can that hold up? You know what I don't understand is that it must be something mental about quarterbacks because when you think about it, how come a running back, Like, they're both men. Right. They're both dudes. Right. How come? And same bit with, like, you know, any quarterback that isn't mobile. Phillip Rivers. Right. Like, there is a rule to protect them. Right. But there's no rule to protect a running back. Like, they can get their clocks wrong. The only thing is you can't come in with your helmet high. Yeah. You know, you can't attack the head with your helmet. Yeah. You can't do that to anybody. But, I mean, the calls that I've seen this year on roughing the passer already are a joke.
I mean, they're a joke. I agree. They're calling it all the time. But has anybody ever thought that? Like, they're just dudes, too. Like, how come they? And the truth is, is that they do get wrong. Yes. Like, they get jacked up bad. And so you think about it, and you're like, are their bodies just, like, more fragile? They're the nucleus of the team. I know, but why are they not able to take a hit like a running back? Because a running back, every single play. Bam! I mean, they're getting clocked, and they get right back up, and they go in the huddle. A quarterback, if you slam him, he's done. He's got a concussion. A lot of teams have, what, three running backs? Two or three running backs? Not a lot of teams, you know, they're not going to rotate quarterbacks in and out. So you lose your quarterback for the day, I mean, on a cheap hit or something like that, you know, you're toast. How come Michael Vick can't start running like he does, right? Wide receiver, same thing. Wide receiver catches the ball. Starts running. He gets clocked. Why is it that wide receivers aren't getting concussions every time they get hit, but it seems like you hit a quarterback and the quarterback's jacked? I mean, Tony Romo went out last week. He had a punctured lung. He had a broken rib and punctured his lung. Maybe it's because they aren't trained.
Or, like, they're not trained to know. To be hitters and stuff. To get hit. To take hits, yeah. They're in a more submissive. Like, when they're back in the pocket, they're in a more submissive position. That's it, too. That's it, too. And they get hit, you know. There's no steam. They also have no steam. They're not delivering a blow, either. Yeah. So they're just standing there, taking the blow. Running back has that ball, and he's got a head of steam. Yeah. He's laying a blow, too. He's charging. He's charging. So I think the force. is distributed a little more evenly. Science. Science, Holmes. That's right. Physics. I remember, and they just said they named Blaine Gabbert the starter for the Jaguars. That's breaking news. Yeah, it's going to be against Cam Newton, too. So it's going to be Gabbert against Newton. Oh, wow. Two rookies. Jags, Panthers. Wow. The battle of the... Wow, I know who I'd take in that battle. Yeah, I'm going to take Cam, who's thrown for over 800 yards in his first two games. He's in the NFL now, and he's like, what? Yeah. I mean, they haven't won yet, but he's like, well, I'm doing my job. I mean, the guy had more picks in a barbershop last week, but he's still doing good. That's awesome. Okay. Well, let me introduce. I'm Mikey. I'm the host of the show. I am 41, and I'm wearing my favorite shirt. It's the most comfortable shirt I have. It's my Laker shirt from Nordstrom.
and it's made of this really comfortable material, we never wash it in the washing machine. My wife sends it to the dry cleaner so that it doesn't get shrunk. Maybe that's why it's so nice and comfortable. It doesn't shrink, ever. Strange. It is strange. I have the same shirt, except mine's Yankee, it's weird. Same material, and it's like wearing your comforter. To work. It feels so good. I'd get a Yankees one so that you would be comfortable. I have so many of these types of shirts. They're so good. I can't wear them because Woods is like, he doesn't like the teams. I have a USC one. I'm not wearing that around Woods because it bothers him. It's ridiculous. I actually have two SC shirts. Can't wear them. Nope. And then I bet against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. And so now he doesn't like it if I wear anything Notre Dame. Right. Can't wear that one either. I can't wear that one either. Use your head. What can I get? Keep wearing that Lakers shirt. You're fine. But I want one. You're not allowed to wear the Yankees either. I want a few. I get that. You wear your Padres one. The only other one I have, LLB. What do I do? I say tell him to feast and wear whatever you want. Yeah. I'll just be staring at him. I know. Just hateful eyes. Hateful eyes. Judgment. Judgment. Judgmental eyes. Woodsy's our Yankee fan and sports guy.
He hates everything Red Sox, loves everything Yankee. Boy, they are in a tailspin, too. I must be making you happy. That's the greatest. So, Yankees lead the East. Oh, yeah, they're flying in the East. And Red Sox, I think they're 4-15 this month. So, well done, guys. Oh, wow. Well done. It's not very good. Nope. They are just, I mean. Can't get you prideful about it. I'm not, I'm not. I'm keeping it on the down low. I haven't run mouth, haven't said anything. But they are, they're struggling. In fact, one of their best, best known all-time pitchers, Kurt Schilling said, I don't even want them to make the playoffs. Why? He said, because if they get there, they ain't going anywhere. And they spent all this money this year. And it is, man, September is when you need to step up your game. And they are just in a funk right now. But they'll probably still make the playoffs. Lauren O'Brien is the sweet little blonde to my right. And she's also an opera singer. She is. If you weren't listening yesterday, Jay secretly taped her while she was putting eye makeup on in the restroom. She gets it. Welcome to St. Mary's. For orientation. Yes. No words, just noises. Yes. It's great. Jay is our producer. He's 48 years of age.
Loves to skate. Loves to do anything outdoors. Surfs, skates, rides a bike. Climbs. Climbs. Hikes. Yeah. There's really not a lot of stuff they sell at REI he hasn't done. Right. Or doesn't have. Yeah, the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is something like maybe kayaking. Oh, he kayaks. He's kayaked before. You have? Oh, yeah. Ocean kayak. Ocean kayak. Yes, indeed. He paddleboards. He's got a paddleboard. I've been out surfing before and seen Jason R. Isbell paddling up next to me on his paddleboard. Hysterical. When you have ability for that kind of stuff, it must feel great because you know in your head you're like, I could try that and probably do it. He's good at it, too. For me, it's nothing physical. My stuff is like writing. If there's something to do with writing, I get excited because I'm like, eh, it's a challenge, but I think I can do this. Not getting on a thing. Like anything. You just have to work that muscle. It isn't. It is. Jay. You start off and you have to work that muscle. You have to want it. Woods, maybe we have him write poetry or something. We just have him work that muscle. I wrote some poetry today. What's poetry? Poetry. I wrote it.
You did? Yeah, it's on your thing. I wrote Woodsy a song. Oh, perfect. Oh. Is that what that is? Mm-hmm. Because he wrote you one. You know what it's called? What's it called? Every Bite You Take. He wrote a song for me. Yeah. And it was called Crap Dad. This is true. Mikey's butt's wide and he's never right. If he shows his face, it'll make you cry. I'm telling you. Just how I feel. It blows my mind. Limited sex appeal. Mikey, come on. You gotta help your wife. One key. Mikey, come on. You gotta make it right. She's giving you to the count of three to change that poop. She'll set you free. I'm telling you to watch your mouth. I know your games. This is what it's all about.
It's kind of all over the place. Yes. It's making fun of you eating. Yes. And that you're a bad father. Just take what I know. Here comes the next. Oh. How about that? Crap that. Crap that. So, Jay, when you made that little flub, you didn't think like, oh, I should go back and edit this. Nope. No. Perfection is perfection. No, you just go with it. Were you busy that morning? It was live in the moment. You might have to because it wouldn't be golden. Right. People like it when I do it. Right. Well, it works. It works. No matter what. Poetry. M1 Cave Dweller from Wisconsin. Hi. Good morning. What's going on, man? Haven't heard from you for a while. I know, I know. I started school, and the classes start right in the middle of the show, and since everything gets really meaty at 8, I've missed so much. I've had to catch up on podcasts. How old are you, Cave Dweller? 33. 33, and what are you going to school for? Biopsychology. Whoa. Biopsychology? Yes. What is that?
It's a psychological discipline that incorporates more neurology and anatomy into it, so I get to deal more with the structure and function of the brain than just general behaviors. So if you were to get a job, it wouldn't be sitting on a couch listening to people's problems. It would be cognitive testing, a lot of neurological checks and stuff like that. After I get my degree, I'm going to be going to grad school, though. I got a question. Yeah. Do you know how to give a good and, like, professional IQ test? No. No. That's a no. No, the IQ tests are generally, they're pretty standardized. It just depends on which one you want to take. But then most of them are just fed through a machine that interprets the results anyway. Okay. Because I would like to do that, and I did that when we were on the old show, and I don't want us to do it as a show, because, boy, I'll tell you that... There's already enough tension? Yeah, you've got plenty of tension as it is. That didn't go over too well, I take it. No. Well, I wanted to say two things. The first one was, I almost...
skipped class on Monday listening to Mikey's email story. Oh, yeah. You should have. Well, I gotta explain because there may be people that are listening that don't know. I used to know a guy that became a woman. Yep. He was transgendered and as far as I knew he had an operation to change into a woman. Guy's name was, I used this name, Joe Thompson. Okay? And He came up on my Facebook deal that said that it was his birthday. And last time I'd seen him, he was a woman. So I look at this picture and I'm like, wow, that is definitely a guy now. And he's gone back to being a guy. And it looked like my friend that had been in, you know, it looked like what he did before. Enough to convince me. He's wearing glasses. Enough to convince me it was him and he was back to being a man. And you know how on a Facebook wall it gives you information about the person, where they work, where they went to school, that kind of business? Well, same thing. But it said engaged to Anthony. With an I. With an I. Right. And so I thought. You thought, instead of just saying happy birthday. Happy birthday. And if I really wanted to be inquisitive. Right. Maybe I would say.
So you're engaged, huh? Well, maybe I would say this. Hey, is this the same Joe Thompson I worked with in San Jose? Right. Nope. I did not. You didn't stop there. You didn't stop there. You went a little bit further. I wrote and asked, hey, did you not elect to have gender reassignment surgery? If that's too personal of a question, I understand. I noticed that you're getting married to someone named Anthony, which I assume is a guy. And so are you gay? Right. Now you're gay. Well, I asked. I said, does that mean that you are now gay? I'm just trying to understand how it works. Yes. I said, I have a friend that is in the LGBT world. Right. Which means lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender. Right.
And I said, and this helps me to understand, to ask questions. And he wrote me back almost right away. Yeah, sure did. And he said, yep, sorry, that's not me. Wrong guy. Wrong guy. So I've now called him a transgender. Gay man. Yes. And I've also suggested that his female fiance, who happened to be named Anthony. He's a woman and not, in fact, a guy. He's a man and not, in fact, a woman. He's gone and done it again. Yes, he did it again. Well, he's a man and he's not a woman, and his fiancée is a woman and not a man. Correct. That's right. So, anyway, that must have really got you, Cave Dweller. That must have got you. So, on Monday, when I was listening to the long version of this story, It was about 10 o'clock. Class was getting ready to start. All I could think was, I don't care if they fail me. I got to hear the answer. Oh, man. That's true. There's no way I could have gotten out of my car either, man. Dude. You know, it qualifies now. It is definitely the most embarrassing thing I've ever done. Yeah. Well, that's got to be a best of. Oh, yeah. It's like delicious, delicious ice cream.
eat that every day. Yeah, well, thank you. We had the guy on the air, and he was a good sport. He was laughing, so... Yeah. He was niggling. Oh, wow. The other thing that I had was you were asking about the difference between running backs and quarterbacks and that kind of thing. One gets hurt and one doesn't. Well, let's relate it to fighting. If someone punches you in the gut, what are you supposed to do? You're supposed to cover up. You're supposed to tense up. Tense up. Right? You tense up, and then you train getting hit in the gut by getting hit in the gut a lot. Well, it's the same thing with football players. Mike Ditka used to say you practice getting hit by getting hit. Right. And, you know, when a running back hits a hole, he knows he's going to get hit. So he tenses up, he tightens up, and that's how he can take it. But a lot of times, and it's the reason they institute a lot of these safety rules for quarterbacks, They're stretched out. They're throwing. They're not looking. And so they're more prone to get injured. It's the equivalent of a sucker punch. Yeah. Kind of, yeah. It's the equivalent of a sucker punch. I understand. That makes sense to me now. Me too. Hey, thanks, dude. I appreciate it. And good to hear from you, Cave Dweller. Yeah, love you guys. Love you. Love you, man. I'll hopefully be here on the 6th and 7th of October. Oh, yeah. Bring it in, dude. You're going to come on out? Yeah. Right on. He's in Wisconsin, but it'd be nice to have you here.
I wish I could come out. I'm taking the day off of class. And if I have work, I'm calling in sick or something. Oh, wow. You're going to listen to it online live. Wow. Yes. That's great. Absolutely. Thanks, Cave Dweller. Yeah, love you guys. I love you, buddy. Yeah, we're doing Mikey-thon October 6th and 7th. And people do take the day off of work. And we also tell people that the movies that we're going to watch this year are going to be Cobra. Yes, Cobra and Pretty in Pink. I can't wait. And the reason that we tell people is you're going to want to get those movies, either rent them or buy them or somehow get a hold of them. We tell you early because our experience has been people will call us the day of the Mikey-thon and they'll go, dude, it's not available. I went to three different targets. The movie's gone. Well, that's why. Because there becomes a run on those movies. People want to get them. So they can watch them with us. Plan ahead. Plan ahead. Use your head. Speaking of renting movies, you're going to find this hard to believe, but our very own LOB did something yesterday that for her was very difficult. She canceled her Netflix subscription. I did. Can you believe that? Sayonara. Wow.
She hovered over the cancel subscription button for about 90 seconds thinking about what she was about to do. And then she clicked it and she felt liberated, she says. I pushed myself away from the computer. I was like, whoo! Done. Well, one who doesn't have cable and now one who doesn't have Netflix, what the hell are you going to watch? Hulu. Hulu? Which shows you TV shows on the internet. Yes, I may even pay for Hulu Plus. because it'll actually be less than I got used to paying for Netflix. And Hulu is now starting to offer movies as well? Oh yeah, they've been offering those for a while. Some of them are actually free. But yeah, for Hulu Plus, you can go way back to kind of like old episodes of things, different seasons and stuff. Maybe you just get cable. I'm thinking about cable. I am. Why have you not? Here's my problem. I don't have a lot of self-discipline. A lot of things interest me. Same with you, Mike. I can watch a documentary on a turd and be captivated. Totally. I could. So if I had cable, I'm actually nervous because I did this in college and I did this in high school. I would just sit there and be like, oh, the next thing looks great. And just sit there forever and watch, especially if I had the Netgeo channel. Oh, my gosh. Forget it.
I would be in trouble. Well, here's my question. That does not happen now with Hulu, though. Because you have to put forth a lot of effort to seek something out. You know what I mean? You have to know what you're looking for. You know what I mean? They make suggestions for you, but it's not the same as, well, I guess I'm going to get up, and they're like, up next on Nat Geo. Yeah, you're like, you got me. Oh, no. I can't leave. So great. Or those things, like, well, they'll do a marathon. That's how I got into, like, the keeping up with the Kardashians. They'll do a marathon of something. And you're like, now I'm invested. I'm invested. You're toast. The marathon, the office marathons, they play 15 in a row. I'm like, here I am. There's four hours. Now, Woods, this is what is interesting about your psychology is that you'll love the... You can watch a marathon of Sopranos. You can watch a marathon of The Office. You can watch those marathons. But what Woods is not necessarily into is television doc. Television documentary. You know, TV documentary. You know, maybe we can get you every once in a while on a motion picture documentary. Oh, yeah, I like those. But the TV shows, it's not your thing. You know, and real life to me is so...
Fascinating. You know, my wife watches those City Confidential and the true crime stuff. They make me nervous. And so when I watch those, I'm like, this guy killed his wife. And it makes me freaking nervous to watch how he gets caught and stuff. It keeps me on the edge. Like I watched the first 48 hours about murders and how they're solved and stuff. I don't know. I got to know it all. Woods, what about this one? This is what I watched last weekend. Found it. And I'm hooked now. Colossal. It's called Colossal Something. And basically the idea behind this documentary show is that they show you how they build things that are colossal. Love it. Instantly shaking his head no. Talk me through this. I tend to gravitate towards funny. Okay. So I'm always looking for something funny. Yes. I don't really care how things are built or made.
I'm just glad that they're there. Yeah. I'm glad when I see a beautiful building or a pyramid. Yeah. Cool. Cool. And I just I don't care what goes into it. Yeah. It's weird. I I watched an episode with wrapped, just glued. And all I had to do is read the description. It said JFK Airport builds a new JetBlue terminal that will. Break records for how many people move through it per year. And I'm like, well, let me see. Let me see. And they show them digging and finding sludge that was filled with asbestos and it stunk and it had all this. And I'm fascinated. And they got to stop everything. They've got to call in people to like suck it out.
And they're wearing hazmat. Yep. I was fascinated. And when they build big things, if they build bridges. Oh, the best. Dude, I'm fascinated by the fact that it's so much bigger than us and yet we can do that. Yeah. It weighs so much. It is so big. They've got to battle waves and currents and all that crap. And I'm like, how do you put cement in the water? And it hardens. Yeah. I love it. That stuff makes me nervous, too. It does? Yeah. It makes you nervous. It makes me tense. Well, then you go over a bridge and you're like, hey, guy was just like me. Yeah. Gotta be a mistake. Some clown. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Okay. Florence Henderson, who played Carol Brady, got crabs from someone. Woods. She wrote a book and reveals who it was. Shut it. Yeah, and you'll be shocked to find out. It just threw up my mouth. We are also going to have Steve-O on the show today. Yeah. From Jackass. He's doing a show locally. And this Coronado Mansion thing is just getting weirder and weirder. And we'll give you an update on what's going on with the Chargers and the Chiefs this weekend, too. 30 seconds.

Problem on the 5 northbound ramp to the Coronado Bridge. There is an accident over on the right shoulder. A couple cars there at the exit. Fire departments cleared this from the lanes, but the tow truck's on the scene there. On the 15 southbound in Escondido between Valley Parkway via Rancho Parkway, it's slow in the 40s. And it looks like the drive on the 805 southbound between Serena Valley Boulevard, Murray Ridge Road, that's pretty slow too. This report brought to you by your San Diego County Toyota dealers. I'm Stacey Cohen, FM 94.9. And now back to the Mikey Show. With Mikey. What does it do, Jay? It makes it 3D. I wanted one of those avatars to be like, and like beat my face and go. Woods, if 16-year-old girls are in on something, I'm out on it. Lauren. I'm very aggressive when it comes to lines. And Jay. If you want any, you'll be nice to me. Yes, ma'am. On FM 94.9. Today is revolution. Caller 9 gets Bush, Filter, and Chevelle tickets. Why are you shaking your head? Your boy out there, Jason R. Isbell. You know what he's looking at? What? I'm just making some coffee for myself. Naked things. No, not nudes. Worse. No. Glee. Glee. Glee websites. First episode was on last night. Is it for the show? Yeah. It is. What do you do?
We don't really do a lot of Glee stuff. We don't actually. No, not for our show. But the show was on last night. Glee, the first episode of the season, was on last night. So you were not looking. So Jasper was excited. No, I was looking at some images. You were not looking at. Liberty were excited. You were not looking at the Glee website. Yes. For our program. No. Right. We were commercials. I was like, you know, a little bit of time. Why are you looking at Glee? I like Glee. He's a Gleek. You like Glee? Dude, don't look at me like I'm crazy. He looked at me right now like what? Yeah, 47-year-old man that surfskates, rock climbs, makes love constantly. Right, and when I say that I like a Miley Cyrus song, he plays Nice Beaver. Yeah. Hey. Hey. Hey. What do you want? It's a great show. I want answers. They dance, they sing, it's just fun. Yes, it's like musical theater but on TV.
Well, L.O.B., he's played it for himself. Yeah, and it's true. It's fine for you to say that, L.O.B. You're a girl. Yes, that's what I'm saying, and I'm implying that he's watching musical theater. You don't even know! There's a lot of things, apparently, we don't know. I like drama. I like singing. That is isolated. Glee. I'm looking, and he's just looking through the pictures, and... Dude, there's some... lovely young ladies on this program. Don't try to use that. That's the bit. Don't try to use that. I don't know. It's got a good storyline. Yeah, I watch pageants for the judges. Yeah. I think they're really insightful, and I really like to see what those ladies think about world issues. It's a program that Kim and I like to watch together. Okay, now I don't know if, because I could genuinely think to myself, well, yeah, he's a perv.
But I don't think that that's why. It's not why. And I also don't think it's like, you know, I'm looking for things for my wife and I to be able to enjoy together. Nope. No. I like their singing. Let's take a listen. TV show about karaoke? She's got good talent. Woods, I was thinking those exact words in my head. It's karaoke. American Idol's karaoke. They throw a twist on it. The only difference between American Idol and Glee, I guess, is that they have a... Mm-hmm. Right. Yeah, it's like Grease meets karaoke. Yeah. Modern-day Grease. So it takes place, I guess, in a high school, Jay? Mm-hmm. And they're just all friends, and they sing in Glee. They're in the Glee Club. Okay. Will is their teacher, Wolf Schuster. That's his character? Yeah, there's Brittany, hot blonde, Artie, this guy in a wheelchair. What are their bits?
You know, they just all sing and dance. Well, he probably can't dance. He's in a wheelchair. He rolls around. He does a dance thing in a wheelchair. He does? Mm-hmm. Yeah, they're all really talented kids. Is there a black character? Yes. Is there a homosexual character? Yes. Yes, there is. You're right. I didn't know that. What about an Asian? Mm-hmm. Yep. Hispanic? Yes. Good. I had to think about it for a minute. Because I would write a letter. She's a switch hitter. She is a switch hitter. The Hispanic? She plays baseball? No, no. She likes to go both ways. She can bat from the left side or the right. Makes her harder to hit. Like Mickey Mantle. Makes her harder to pitch to. Right. Well, I am a little surprised, minus the little, that Jay's a Gleek. Well, the watching of it, I guess, is one thing. It's ridiculous. He's 70 years old.
The looking online at pictures and stuff. What are you doing on there? I don't know. I didn't get to finish the storyline last night. We had to stop because I had to go to bed. It was after 8.30. So you want to get filled in. I feel like I'm right there on the edge. I'm like a cliffhanger. And you want to know. Well, what happens? I got to know. Does Samantha end up kissing, you know, Gary? You know she does. Are you going to watch Grey's Anatomy later this week, too? I am not. By the way, that's a legitimate... No question. That is a legitimate question. That is 100% legitimate question. That's not a comedy. Yeah, well, it's a drama. You said you like drama. Yeah, you said. I like singing, dancing. Quote. I like drama and singing. Yes. So wait, let me get this straight. If on Grey's Anatomy, the doctors sang to the patients, you'd be 100% in. If it was kind of funny and quirky. They had an episode like that. I'm sure Jay saw it. Like it was like a musical? Yeah, they tried to be like Glee. I have watched. So it is. We're learning a lot, aren't we? Liberty's in there, and I just have to walk through. Oh, yeah. That's why. It's Liberty's fault. Your house, you don't rule. Aren't you also a Gossip Girl fan? No. Aren't you? No, it's on. It's 90210 Woods. Gosh.
I like 902. The new edition. See? Not the new one. The old one. The old one. We were kids. Donna Martin graduates. Yeah, we were kids. You don't even know. Freaking reality hits you hard, bro. It does. When it hits you, Mike. And when it gets you, it gets you hard. It hits you hard. Hit me hard. Was it? Hit you what? Hit me hard. Oh, you didn't finish your thought. You are welcome to edit that. You're welcome to try to do a better job. Reality hits you hard, bro. Perfect. Perfect. Parking, sparking, blowing up. Perfect. Bam! Hit me hard. He immediately says a word right up against it. Hit me hard. If you want me to put the bleh, what he does right afterwards, I can. I have a gleek. It's fine. Just settle down. Don't make me come in there. I will dance all over your face. Dramatic on us. And you know, hey, yeah. Mike, it's cut off right there.
It cut off at the end of it. It cut off at the end of it. It cut off at the end of it. It's going to punch you in the face. It's going to punch you in the face. It's going to punch you in the face. Hit me hard. Maybe you don't have to use that one if you don't want to. It's a judgment call. It could be like, hey, it cuts off. I don't know if I want to use that one. Bam! Hit me hard. What, sorry? I think you totally get what he's saying. Hit me hard. Hit me hard. I'm going to hit you hard. I know it. Hit me hard. Hello, our little gleek, Jay. Hey, if there's any other gleeks that want to call in, talk some glee with Jay, he is now up to date. He went to the website. He knows what's up. He can tell you. You guys can talk, and I'll stab myself in the eye. That's right. As will I. I'll stab you in the eye as well. And I'll just put cotton in my ears. 570-194-9 is the number.
Revolution is the word of the day. Bush filter and Cheval tickets at 4th and B. You've got to be 21 to go to that show. It's going to be a loud show, my friend. It is. Rocking bands. So, yeah. Florence Henderson. Did you think that she was cute, Woods? Not really. Never into... I wasn't a big Brady Bunch guy, so what I knew her from was Crisco. Gosh darn was I did. I was with an oil. It was Crisco. Jay, you were not into... It was Wesson Oil. It was. Jay, you were not into Brady Bunch? I was into Brady Bunch. I just wasn't into her. How about you, L.O.B.? I was really into Marsha. Yeah. So you watched the show and loved it? Oh, yeah. I wanted to be their seventh child. Marsha. I've seen probably every episode of Brady Bunch multiple times. Saw a few. But anyway, here she was. revealing who it was that gave in real life who gave her crabs this was not on brady bunch not an episode you wrote about in your book i'm on network on a network morning show the host says to me florence i really enjoyed your book what a great life and wonderful insights you share blah blah blah but i can't stop thinking about your one night stand with a former
Late former New York City Mayor John Lindsay, please tell me more about it. Is that my cue? Is that your cue? That's what you would say, and that's exactly what you just said. Well, you know, I had worked very hard for John Lindsay to get him. Elected. And had a lot of respect for him. And we were friends. And then I was in L.A. by myself filming the Brady Bunch. And he was out there for some event. I can't remember what it was. Anyway, we had dinner with friends. And then he said, you know, come back to the hotel and have a drink. And I did. And one thing led to another. He was very convincing. And so... It's his fault. Does she sound... Like, she's doing this, like, victim thing? A little bit. Yeah. Me too, I thought. She's trying to say, I'm not a slut. Is that it? Because there was a couple of words that she used in there that made my eyebrow raise a bit and go, are you? That led to the... One time I was in Los Angeles and I was alone, unprotected. You know, nobody was, you know, taking care of me. And that's, you know.
Nobody was watching me. He was very convincing. And he was very convincing. Well, what, did he have a crowbar? Did he have a 38? He had a silver tongue, dude, and a mouthpiece on him. Well, great. I mean, okay. We've probably convinced some ladies in our day. That's true. We probably have, but it sounds... They wanted to be convinced. Yeah, they all do. Well, if they didn't want to be convinced, then they wouldn't... How convincing... By the way, how convincing was he to get you back to the hotel? You went to the hotel. Yeah, you came up for a drink. Yeah, come on for a drink. What does that mean? There's drinks in the bar. Yeah, what do you think it means? Yeah. One night stand, which led to something, some little critters that I never knew existed. Oh, dear. Yes, it's true. Oh, dear. Yes, and scared me absolutely to death. So I believe in karma in life. I just didn't know it would be so instant. Yeah. Critters. Please never call crabs critters. Critters. Oh. Critters. And it scared her to death. Oh, my goodness. Well, yeah. Never made love again. It would scare me to death. Yes. I've never made love again. I've never made love since. It's the last time I made love. Yeah. Last time. Now, then there was the story out there that she was a cougar with Greg. Barry Williams. Yep. Barry Williams.
tried to infer that they made sex with one another. Right. You know, I don't know. I feel sort of like I don't know if I should or not, but it's sort of out there, so I want to know what you want to say about it. There have been some... She's so sad. I can't stand her interview style. Is that Yoda? No. That was Ann Curry. Ann Curry. Okay. That's what I meant. Head tilt, leaning in, kind of weird. It's Florence Henderson. It's not the Prime Minister. It's not victims of a terrible crime or something. I'm reporting about Barry Williams, who played Greg. What do you want to say? What do you mean, what do you want to say? I didn't come here today because I'm trying to make a public statement. What do you want to ask? Ask me questions. It's an interview. Whatever you want to ask, just ask it.
About me and Barry Williams. I've said it so many times that it's totally, totally innocent. I think he's going to be waiting for me today after the show. We're great friends. You know, now that I see Barry, I think he's old enough for me to date now. Actually have a legitimate date. But it was very innocent. He just always had a crush on me. And so I helped him through that crush. And no, I was not a cougar. They went on a play date. He asked her out. She goes, okay. And they went to dinner. And she made him think he was a big boy. Yeah, I bet she did. I bet she did. So you guys believe that something... No way. Why? Why go on a date? I think they play tummy sticks together. You do? Yeah. I think that she... It would only help her to say that something did happen. Why would it help her? Because she would look like kind of hot. Yeah, sexy. You know, and then she'd get more interviews about it. And by the way, he never said something happened. He tried to put it out there because he was trying to sell books. And so when he's pressed, he doesn't go, yeah, we did. But you guys think that they did. You guys think there was a little funny business going on.
Do you remember when they were pitching him around for interviews and his hope was that he was pitching condos in Vegas or something? It was horrible. Yeah, that's what he was trying to sell. That's what he was trying to sell. He was coming on radio shows because he was trying to sell condos in Las Vegas. How far they fall. The Chargers and the Chiefs will meet this weekend, ladies and gentlemen. We may see them. We may not. We don't know yet. Still trying to sell some tickets. Weird. There are 4,000 tickets available that need to be sold by Thursday at 1 p.m. That's Thursday at 1 p.m. Tomorrow. Correct. Then, next week, the game against the Miami Dolphins, about 9,700 tickets remain unsold for that contest. And as Charger fans know, last year, three of the first four home games were, in fact, blacked out. Oh, my gosh. Great. You're awesome. Well done, I guess. Why are we here again? Here we are. I read an article yesterday, Mike. I meant to post it to my Facebook. I thought you'd be interested. They were talking about the cities with the greatest sports curses. Number one, they listed right here in sunny San Diego. Number one. They said more than Cleveland, more than Detroit. Sports curse? Curses. Curses. I thought a curse was like the curse of the Bambino kind of thing. Lance Allworth.
Yeah. Plays here. It's great. They trade him to the Cowboys. Cowboys start winning Super Bowl, you know, Super Bowl after Super Bowl. Adrian Gonzalez, gone. Red Sox on a bad month. Ryan Leaf. Biggest bust of all time. Ryan Leaf, biggest bust of all time. Eli Manning. Yeah. He wins the Super Bowl. As much as you would never want to see that guy under center here. Guy. Has a ring. Yeah. So I'll put the article up later. I read it and was like, oh, wow. Please, no. It ain't so. Number one most cursed city for championships, San Diego, California. Shocking. I've always said if they get a new stadium, they'd win more games. I believe it. I believe you get new uniforms. Padres got a new stadium and they didn't win more games. Well, I can't say that about baseball. It's not a foolproof plan. But it does work in football. I can name city after city that got new stadiums and new uniforms, and they start to win. The Broncos, it happened. It happened with the Cowboys for a season. When they first got their new stadium, didn't they win? Yeah. I think they made the playoffs that year. But maybe it wears off kind of quick. Anyway, it's the Chargers and the Chiefs this weekend, and the Chiefs are without their starting running back. Jamal Charles out for the year. He's out for the year.
And so they're going to share time with a dinosaur, Thomas Jones. DJ and Dexter McCluster. Yes. And who's not even really a running back. I'm surprised you haven't picked up yet for your fantasy team. Now that you mention it, not a bad pickup. Might do that once we go into break here. He will get some carries. Yeah. And maybe some yards. Yeah. You need to stop messing with your roster, Mike. That's insane. That's always my bit. 40 moves in two weeks. I'm that guy. Let's see. Oh, gosh, darn. This thing with the deal in Coronado. Oh, my gosh. Is it fascinating, man? It's riveting. Rebecca Zau was the woman's name who, you know, was found hanged from the balcony in this house in Coronado. Three days before that, her boyfriend's son died in the house.
He was only six, and he fell down the stairs. His name was Max. Fell down the stairs. His ex-wife, Dana, the ex-wife of the rich guy that owns this mansion, lives down the street. Her name's Dana. The father of the child and the boyfriend of the girl that was found hanged was in Scottsdale at the time. The state attorney general's office investigate this. And, Woodsy, you know you've really been following this thing. Am I right in saying that is he doing that because he kind of wants to shut people up that are thinking that something weird went on? Or why does he want the attorney general's office to look into it? I know her family's very upset about it and feel that the whole thing was kind of glossed over and wrapped up really quickly.
And if you look at the evidence, we all talked about it this morning, some of the evidence that's out there, it just doesn't add up. I mean, at the end of the day, it just doesn't add up. Everybody's got their theories as to what really happened. I don't really necessarily have a theory as to what happened. My theory is to what didn't happen. And what I think is what they said happened did not happen. That she killed herself. Right. Well, the guy's name is Shaq Nye. Jonah Shaq Nye. He's a pharmaceutical. You know, multi-millionaire, CEO, 27-room house in Coronado. This went down there. Now, he says that he hopes that an evaluation of the department's findings will quiet the ongoing speculation about the deaths of his girlfriend and his six-year-old son. I agree with Woods 100%. It does not look like a suicide. Now, listen to this from ABC News. Maurice Godwin, and he's a PhD that runs a forensic consultancy business. He says that this looks staged. He says it has all the hallmarks of a ritualistic killing. He thinks that somebody assaulted her physically, that she was dazed, and then they bound her. She allegedly used black paint to write the following words.
on a bedroom door near the balcony that she was found. She wrote this. She saved him. Can you save her? She saved him. Can you save her? So weird. Chilling. 5701949. What do you think? What does, you know, my wife said she doesn't believe that a woman would ever commit suicide nude. And you don't either, right, L.O.B.? That women are too self-conscious about it. A lot of theories. Love to hear yours. Love to hear what you think about this. 570-1949. So we'll talk about that. And we're also going to do a new feature. It's called I Hate It When Wednesday. I love this guy. Mikey-thon's October 6th and 7th. So we're talking about the Coronado thing. You know, this is such a fascinating story. You know it's going to be on Dateline, and they're going to make, you know, tons of those shows out of this case because it involves so many aspects of a creepy story, a sensational story. First of all, it's a rich millionaire named Jonah Shackney. Who's got a young, beautiful girlfriend named Rebecca. I don't know how to say it. Is it Howe? Is it Howe? And he's in Scottsdale, Arizona. And his six-year-old son is in this giant mansion. How many rooms? 27. 27-room mansion in Coronado with his girlfriend, Rebecca. He's got an ex-wife named Dana who lives down the street in Coronado.
And the six-year-old on a Monday falls down the stairs, hurts himself so bad that he passes away. Two days later on a Wednesday, his brother, is it his brother? He texted him? Yes. His brother texts him and says, I just found your girlfriend. Yeah. Well, and actually the little boy hadn't died yet. He was, Jonah was in the hospital by the bedside of his son when he got a text. From his brother. I bought his girlfriend. Saying she had been found. Yeah. Hanged. Hanged. And he found her and, I believe, cut her down. Yeah, I found her. I found your, like, you're sitting there with your kid. He's not doing well. Yes. He's in the hospital. He's eventually going to pass away. That's how bad he's doing. And you get a text from your brother. Hey, Mike, just found Rebecca hanging.
Yes. It's so weird. Not only that, though. She's nude. She's got a t-shirt in her mouth. She's bound with her arms behind her back. It's all this stuff that you go, that's a suicide? How does somebody, you know, bind themselves this way? And why would they? You know, if you were going to hang yourself, why wouldn't you just hang yourself? Why would you bind yourself? There were multiple contusions on her head. You know, it looked like... I mean, you never want to speculate, but she could have been hit in the head. Well, and I was saying, OK, well, how could that have happened? How could she have multiple contusions on her head? And L.O.B. said, well, they're saying that maybe it was because she was swinging and hit her head. OK, now check this out. OK, one of the things that we were talking about this off the air, L.O.B. says, what if they what if whoever there was people involved in this and they forced her to do this? They forced her to do it. That's what I think, because. Her DNA is the only DNA on the rope that was used to bind and hang her. Her fingernails had the black paint on it that left the message. The black paint, by the way, said, she saved him. Can you save her? Now, to me, that sounds like someone did it and that's sarcastic. There's sarcasm and sharp, biting sarcasm. Like, well, she certainly couldn't save our son.
Yeah, the literal meaning would be she couldn't save our son. Can you save her? You can't save her. You can't save her. Or if it wasn't that, you know, what if it was like, it doesn't have to be from the point of view of the ex-wife. It could be from anybody that loved that boy. Right. I saw a video of her, of how it would be if she had to bind her own hands. And it showed the wrapping in front. And then they pulled one hand out, put the hands behind her back and put the rope back in. And when they found her, she was still clasping both sides of the rope, like in her hands, like she had done it and then held the ends of the rope so that she could, you know, make sure it stayed tied. Because, I mean, if you don't, I think if you don't tie your hands, can you just grab the rope? Isn't that the thought? Yeah, you think you just hang yourself. You just, I don't know. Oh, what he's saying, though, is. She wanted to make sure that she couldn't save herself. Right, yeah. And grab the rope. Right. Okay, now that does make a little bit of sense. Now I'm going the other way. Sure. And the reason I'm saying that is because I don't really understand if somebody is forcing you to do this, that doesn't make sense because wouldn't they want it to look like a regular suicide? They wouldn't want it to look like... A ritualistic killing? Yeah, they wouldn't want it to.
Lots of people calling about this, want to give their input. Let's take a couple of calls. M1, Anthony's calling in from Mission Valley. Hey, Mikey. Hey, what's up? Hey, man. I think it was a guilt trip, actually. The police said they found her. She took her voice at about 12 in the morning. And then about the sun, his condition being imminent. And that she killed herself. They found her dead seven hours later. And so what do you mean a guilt trip? She was there when the boy had hurt himself. It might have been some foul play on her part because she felt guilty about it. She felt guilty, right. That seems the most likely, but then the circumstances are so weird. And what about the message? If it's a guilt trip, why would she write, she saved him, can you save her? That doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make sense. And that was what was written on the... Bedroom door near the balcony that she was found from. M1 Bance from San Diego. You there? Yep, yep. What's up? My input, Mikey, is, I don't know. I mean, guilt trip sounds good if, for one, she wasn't naked. I mean, I don't know. Like, to me, like you were saying, like, a woman's not going to get naked and then commit suicide. I don't believe. You know what I mean? Neither does L.O.B. Neither did my wife. I don't know. You know, and I can't.
I just can't think of a reason, like, what? Yeah. Why? Why that? Why that? Right. And I think that, like, I don't know, the naked thing, I think that, like, maybe if it was someone else doing it, it could be, like, I don't know, maybe it's, like, maybe, I mean, you know, if her husband or whatever sent somebody to, like, maybe, like... Killer or something like that. Husband didn't. I don't believe that he did because the husband. The boyfriend. The boyfriend, excuse me. The boyfriend is asking for a real. He's asking for a for the attorney general of California to do a formal investigation of the findings. And the reason that he's doing that is because he wants to quiet speculation about their deaths. Which is exactly what we're doing. And of course we are. Of course we are because of how strange all of it is. It's all weird. Nothing about it makes any sense. M1 Rockzilla from IB. Hi, this is M1. How are you guys doing? Good, dude. What's up? I was just going to say, I think it's a guilt trip as well. Because I think the reason that she is nude is in some cultures, they do, as an act of suicide, for complete submission, actually undress themselves. In what cultures?
I know when I was in the Philippines and things, there was actually suicides and actually in older times that if, you know, the woman had an affair, things like that, they would actually commit suicide and be naked as a sign of submission as, hey, take my body. My body's what might have done something. So maybe she was in an affair during this. And my kid, you know, a guilt trip as far as that came down. And also guilty about the child getting hurt on her watch. Yeah, I mean, where's the... You never know. I mean, you never know. L-O-B, Google committing suicide naked or nude. I've already done it, Mike. I don't get any weird pictures. How many times have I gotten that? Yeah, that may give you weird stuff. But I want to know if there's something to that. Yeah? Or maybe you Google why do... You know, cultures that, you know, that. I don't know. Let's see. Why do some people commit suicide naked? Perhaps they were stripping away what they felt was societal, the clothing being a symbol of what society had to offer them. Doesn't make sense to me. M1 Shelley thinks that it was planned. Are you there, Shelley? I am. Good morning. You know, I was reading this week. The phone calls were released.
And there was a phone call from Dina's twin sister to Rebecca hours before she was found. Okay, now let's fill everybody in. Dina is the mother of the child that passed away. And her sister-in-law called Rebecca and this was hours before she was found. I just think it's weird that her sister-in-law, who probably never had any contact with her, would actually call her that night. And it was just hours before she was found. And the message that was left there, I agree with you, it seems sarcastic. And Dina has a history of violence against Jonah. And it just seems like it was kind of like a revenge murder for her son. So titillating. So titillating for us to think that that's what it is. But does she not have an alibi? Was she not at the hospital with the boy? That's a weird thing, too. I don't know. Why would Dina have her sister call Rebecca to rip her a new one, maybe? So that it isn't her. So it's not her. So that it isn't her. It deflects blame. And maybe she didn't think that people would follow up on, what is this call? They have to, though. They have to. Especially if she left a message. Right.
Which, by the way, this could all be circumstantial. I've got to find these phone calls. I'll tell you what I think was so unusual. And the world has to think that this is unusual. And if you're just tuning in, we're talking about this Shackney case. The woman that committed suicide at the Coronado Mansion. Is how quickly they ruled this suicide. I mean, it was bam. So you've got these crazy circumstances of a woman found hanging in the nude. With a t-shirt stuffed in her mouth. Her arms bound behind her back. And the owner of the house is in Scottsdale. And it's her boyfriend. And oh by the way. His son who is six years old. Died of injuries that he incurred in that house. A couple of days before. Falling down the stairs. And instantly. It seemed like.
They ruled that a suicide. It was a seven-week investigation. Dude, I thought it was right away that they did it. It was a seven-week investigation. That's still, I mean, it must have been obvious is all I can think. It must have been they looked at it and went, no, this is obvious. She tied herself up. There's paint on her body. I read some of the stuff. There's paint on her body from it. Well, I was wrong, and I apologize. L.O.B. says it was seven weeks. I thought it was really quickly, and when I, for some reason in my head, I thought it was a matter of days, but I was wrong about that. And it couldn't have been obvious because they called homicide there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like I said, I thought that they turned it around in a couple of days and made a statement that it was suicide, but I'm very wrong. I'm sorry. It took seven weeks. That's a thorough, but it seems seven weeks is a long time. And they say, hey, after we looked at everything, it's a suicide. And they offered a reenactment video with an actress or someone. who basically shows what she would have to have done, which if you watch the video, it's just bizarre, and who would even go to such lengths? We've got to watch it. I didn't think it was that bizarre. I mean, the way she tied herself up, it just seemed the obvious way to do it, if you were going to do it. Wait, wouldn't the obvious way to do it, though, Jay, be to, first of all, not take your clothes off, second of all... Well, that is weird. Yeah, and second of all, well... But it could have been a culture. I mean, I don't know. Make a noose.
Well, a noose for her neck, absolutely. But she wanted to make sure she didn't, you know, I mean, second thoughts. Yeah, once you're hanging, though, you ain't, you know, I don't know. Who knows? It's all speculation. I get what Jay's saying. What if it doesn't work and you have second thoughts and you want to stop it? You want to free yourself. Well, she wanted to make sure she couldn't. What about a t-shirt in the mouth? What is that? What about this message written on the door that says she saved him. Can you save her? That's the most that is the most for me. Interesting thing about the case is that message on the door. Were there any drugs or anything in her system? I don't think so. I don't think so either. I don't think so. And M1 Erica from Chula Vista. Are you there? Yes, I'm right here. What do you think? So I have relatives that work in Coronado for the city. And they know the cops, so they know the insiders. And I also, like the previous callers, they told my relatives about the twin sister that had called in. And she had called her like an hour before. And she had no contact with the lady that died before that. And also that the road... So just so people are completely clear about this, the little boy that died, his mother's name is Dina.
And Dina had a twin sister. And the twin sister calls the girl that hung herself, Rebecca, an hour before her body's found. Yeah, and so she had no previous contact with Rebecca. So it seems kind of weird that why would she be calling her now, you know? Well, connect the dots. If she had something to do with it, connect those dots. She calls her, threatens her, goes over and kills her. Or if she's just distraught hearing the boy is going, it's imminent. He's going to pass away. You know, he had such severe brain damage that they're now deciding what to do now that he's on life support. And the woman, the aunt, is so distraught that she calls Rebecca not thinking clearly. This is your fault. You were supposed to be, I mean, that's plausible. That is totally plausible to me. Yeah, that's true. That's plausible to me. It's almost more plausible to think that than to think that she called her an hour before and then arranged to have her hung and staged this crazy thing. Right. You know. So fascinating. I just, I don't, I don't know. I mean, maybe she's, that's what I was thinking too. I'm like, maybe she sleeps in the nude, or I'm sorry, slept in the nude, gets this call, doesn't think, okay, I'm going to put clothes on, is so just overcome with.
Guilt and grief and all the stuff that she does this thing to herself. M1 Red Dog from Encinitas, this is a good point. Go ahead. Hey, Mikey, I was reading in one of the investigations that when they did the investigation, the only footprints that they found in the dust on that patio where she hung herself were her footprints only. There were no other prints in the dust. They could also see the dust where she went over the railing. And also, when they checked all the knives and the ropes and everything in the room, they only had her print on them, nothing else. That's what I saw. Gosh darn. Yeah. Maybe we're making something out of nothing, but boy, that message on the door does something for me. Yeah. It all does. You think something. Dude, but I only heard about that message today. Yeah. And I thought, this is, I mean, imagine a girl committing suicide by hanging herself nude with a t-shirt in her mouth and her arms bowed behind her. Just that on its own is strange. When I read. This is going to sound crazy, but when I read the thing about the footprints and stuff, I was like, I was a ghost. There's an evil spirit in there that was leading her to do these things, telling her. Well, we also had the theory that somebody made her. It is ridiculous. I think M1 Franklin has it right. It was Colonel Mustard in the library with a wrench. Sometimes... No. Murder. Suicide. Murder isn't funny. You don't want to trivial you. Some...

Show. So just be listening for that word. It could come at any time, even during commercials. We have used to be on the show Jackass, Steve-O on the line. What's going on, Steve-O? Oh, nothing much, man. It's an early morning. I don't really dig early mornings that much, but life is good, man. How are you doing? Doing good. Doing good. We met years ago in Boston at the Sam Adams Boston Fest or whatever it was called. All right. I remember that. Yep. And we bought you a Burger King in the airport at Boston Logan Airport because your hotel room had gotten broken into. That's right. The night before. Yeah. And you were out of dough, and so we got you an Egg McMuffin because this poor guy was out of dough. Yeah. Do you remember that?
I don't remember you getting me Burger King, but thank you, man. You're very welcome. You do remember the hotel thing, though. Sure, yeah. I absolutely remember that. I'm still mad about it. I don't blame you. You're performing at the Ramona Main Stage October 1st. Tickets available at RamonaMainStage.com. And here's the thing. I saw Steve-O perform. years and years ago in phoenix arizona and the show is different uh and uh you are a different guy now than you were uh back 10 years ago you are now a sober guy right for three and a half years congratulations brother congratulations man that's awesome good deal yeah yeah and uh life has been a lot better for you as a result of it absolutely and uh so what can you tell us about about the show and what the show is like now. Well, you know, back when you saw me in Phoenix, it was largely about alcohol consumption and drunken rambling and crazy stunts. And, you know, this time around, it's really, the drunken rambling has been replaced with stand-up comedy. That's good.
true stories of a generally filthy nature. And the crazy stunts remain intact. It's less about the crazy stunts and more about the true stories of a filthy nature. It's a good time, man. I've been on tour for just about an entire year now. And over the course of these last 11 months, I've... I've really been sort of figuring out what works and what doesn't. And, you know, I've been really honing it in, man. And I got to say, I'm super proud of it, man. It's come a long way. Hey, listen, I really want to read your book. He's got a book. Yeah. Wrote a book, and it's called Professional Idiot, a Memoir. And it came out this year in June. And, dude, I want to read that, man. Go ahead. Yeah. I made the New York Times bestseller list for two weeks, which, you know, being a New York Times bestselling author, I think it's hilarious. Oh, dude. To be honest. What I'm much more proud of than that is the fact that on Amazon, the average customer rating is five out of five stars. That's rad, dude. That's rad. I really, like, I gotta say, you know, it's not a flattering story at all.
But it's very, very well told. And it's a good book, man. I'm really proud of it. Did you write it with someone? I wrote it with someone, yeah. Oh, wow. But still, you know, I'm amazed at how much work that still entailed. Yeah. But, yeah, it was an intense process, man. And it came out really, really good. That's so cool. By the way. When you are number one on the New York Times bestseller list, who makes that? You're on the list. When that happens, who makes that call to you? Who says, hey, buddy, you're on the New York Times bestseller list? I got an email from the publisher. That's so rad. That's so rad. Dude, that's great. How old are you, Steve? I'm 37 years old. 37, man. Just going at it. Now you're doing stand-up comedy. He's going to be at the Ramona Mainstage October 1st. And if you want tickets, you can get them at RamonaMainstage.com. And how long have you been doing this version of your act? I started doing stand-up about five years ago. Kind of by accident, I started. Somebody invited me to a comedy club in Los Angeles.
They asked me to get on stage and do something crazy. And, you know, I didn't give it much thought. I agreed to show up. And when I did show up, I determined that there was nothing I could do that was crazy and trying stand-up comedy. And, you know, I kind of sat around waiting for it to become my turn. And, you know, a bunch of stuff I could say to try and get laughs. And when I got on stage, I got some genuine laughs. Pretty much right away, I was fucked, man. The idea of being able to entertain people without hurting myself or shoving anything up my butt. It was intense, man. I'm seriously such an attention whore, man. I've always had this unreasonable hunger for attention. Since my career started as a circus clown, I've really just had a passion for performing, man, you know. I was going to ask you about that because, you know, your bio says that in 97 you went to Clown College. Yeah, that's right, man. Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College. Now, how long is that course? It was more like boot camp than it was like college. It was like a two-month program.
Yeah, it was crazy, man. It really, it would have made a great reality TV show. I bet. I mean, so what are the dudes like that are in the clown college with you? Hey, you know, it was, it was, what was it? Generally, I guess, like goofy people, you know, I guess it's safe to say. There's two different units, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Billy Circus. Holy cow. And each unit, so at any given time, the Ringling Brothers Barnard and Holy Circus is in two different cities because there's two of them. And each unit travels to 50 different cities per year. Okay, so you're guaranteed this job. I mean, you make it through. No, you're not guaranteed at all. It was statistically harder to get into clown college than Harvard. Wait a minute. Wait a minute. To get through it. No, no, to get in was the hardest part. How do you get in? What do you got to do to show them that you have it? Each one of these circuses goes to 50 different cities, and then every year they switch schedules. So there's 100 different cities per year that has the circus there. Every single one of them, they held Crown College auditions. The one I went to, about 60 people.
showed up for the audition. They had us do ridiculous exercises. They would tell us there was an imaginary line running down the middle of our body. The right half of our body was a lazy cow grazing in a field, and the left half of our body was a wild baboon throwing a temper tantrum. They were like, all right, go. Basically, it was all about weeding out. Right, right, right. Wow, that's crazy. They auditioned to get an application, you know, and there are thousands of applicants and only 33 clients got accepted. That's insane. So check this out. So again, it's from the bio. So Steve-O avoided jail. We're talking to Steve-O who's going to be at Ramona Mainstage October 1st. RamonaMainstage.com if you want to get tickets.
So he's arrested in 08 for coke possession, and then he pleads guilty to it. He avoids going to jail, but he goes into rehab. And you had such major psych issues at that point. Your friends did an intervention on you, right? Right. Now, where did they do it? It was Knoxville, and it was crazy, man. It was Knoxville. Jeff Tremaine, who's the director of Jackass, the executive producer of Jackass, the director of photography, the sound guy, the camera guy. Practically the whole crew of Jackass came over to my apartment to lock me up in a psychiatric ward. Because we've got this lot in California, 5150. Right. And it says if you're deemed harmful to yourself or others, you can be locked up in a psych ward. Right. It's pretty ironic that the whole crew of jackass comes over to stop me from hurting myself after they helped me hurt myself for 10 years. Right. And were you angry? I was defiant when they got there, but it became clear pretty much right away that it was not the...
type of intervention that left me a choice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I get it. You're going, and I mean, if I had a choice, it was between going willingly or basically getting my ass kicked and being taken against my will. I went to rehab too, man, and I didn't have an intervention. I knew that there was an issue, but dude, I totally get all of that stuff. And you say that practically the whole cast was there. Wow, man. Well, listen, you can go see Steve-O doing a stand-up at the Ramona Mainstage October 1st. He was on Dancing with the Stars where he was actually extremely popular, man. He was really good. And also, MTV did a documentary on him called Steve-O, Demise and Rise. That was in 2009. He was in Jackass 3D. He has written a book that came out this year called Professional Idiot, a Memoir. Fascinating guy. And I want to read that book, man. I want to know.
I want to know. Yeah, it's a killer book, man. Yeah, like I said, my show is a lot of true stories and fun jokes and crazy stuff. After every show, I always stick around and take pictures with everybody in the audience who wants one. That's cool. That's rad. If anybody had something they want to show me or tell me or just get a picture with me. That's awesome. I make sure every last person gets a chance. That's awesome, Steve-O. And I'm glad you're doing good. Thanks, man. Yeah, man. Sounds a different guy. Different Steve-O. I love it. Cool, man. Well, I appreciate that, man. It'd be great to meet you at the show. Absolutely, dude. I appreciate you coming on. Of course, man. Thanks for having me. All right. We'll see you. Sounds like a cool guy. Always has been. Always has been very likable. Yep. Very popular. And just a wild, wild man. Now, the deal was... the ryan dunn issue now i didn't bring it up because uh that almost almost i was right it was coming out of my mouth and then he goes he goes well nobody else was from jackass was there just knoxville just knoxville you know but that was my that was kind of a way to get into it but i always want interviews to be a natural conversation right it doesn't seem natural to be like hey remember that time ryan dunn died yeah so tell me about ryan dunn
What do you think about that? Right. You know, whereas if you're having a conversation and it comes up, we can talk about it. Yeah, he's like, yeah, it's been a really tough year. What else are you going to say? Right, right. You know, what else are you going to say? Yeah, it's been pretty easy. Yeah. Yeah, I was really, you know, I thought it was great when he died. Right. What are you going to say? Right. It's the same answer you expect you're going to hear. Yep. So, anyway, he sounds like. I'm reading that. I'm getting the book today. I'm getting the book today. When he said circus clown, I thought he meant it figuratively. So did I. He's like, oh, yeah, you know, running around being a circus clown. I've seen part of that documentary before, and he talks about his clown college. And I'm actually the dean of that clown college, and he was really good. He was really good. When I read that he went to clown college, I was like, oh, yeah, me too. Yeah, 100%. Haven't we all? I graduated with honors. That's right. Summa cum laude. That's right. Well, and with me, I finally decided I'm going to write a book. I want to read this book because I'm sure it has a lot of the same kind of stuff. Absolutely. And so, yeah, I want to see that. There's a song up here on my little board here, and it's called Every Bite You Take. Get ready. As you know, Jay wrote a song about me called Crap Dad to the tune of Bad by Michael Jackson.
And this sounds like a police parody. And this is about every bite you take. Oh, wow. Every ankle injury you fake. Oh, wow. That didn't fit. Every chair you break. Every donut you take. Mike is watching you. Every lazy day. Oh, wow. On every couch you lay. All your chins will stay. With your fat, you play. With your fat! Oh, my God. Oh, you cost me 50 grand, you see. Oh, wow. Yes, you did. How my bank book aches. With every donut you ate. Oh, wow. Oh, my God. Every bite you take. Every dip you contemplate.
Make it fit. Make it fit. Every smoker's break. Every blame you escape. Mikey's watching you. Oh, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. It's so long that my wiener you want to trace. Oh, my God. I dream of not you and Chaz have the same face. Oh, wow. Your boobs are bigger and a braw keeps them in place. And it's so cold, Mikey wants them in his face. Oh, wow. I keep crying. Woozie. Woods, no. My jaw is hanging open. My jaw is hanging open. Oh my God. You're brilliant. You're brilliant. Evil genius. You're an evil genius. Oh my gosh. He is, okay, so let me describe Woods right now. He is, backed his chair up all the way against the studio door.
His head is all the way back, leaning up against the door. He's looking at the ceiling. And a moment ago, he was taking deep breaths. And when he says that he's sweating, I know that's true. I know that's a true fact. That he is really, truly sweating. Woods, can we get your... What are you thinking? What did you think of the lyrics? I thought it was genius. It was genius. Sheer brilliant. Some words might have been jumbled in too quickly. Yes. To fit in a spot. Or stretched out too long. Or stretched out too long. Much like Jay's wiener when he urinates. But on a golf course. On a golf course. Broad daylight. I didn't get the part about me wanting to trace it. No. I didn't either. In fact, I couldn't understand that because that may have been one of the parts where he was kind of rushing. Yeah. Right.
But other than that. Which makes it more genius. It makes it better. It's one of those things where if I came in with that parody and played you a parody, you'd go, dude, what's the matter with it? I can't put this on the air. Right. Like, this sounds like garbage. Yes. Because when we first started, I wrote a couple parodies. And Mike was like, well, you know, this and that. You know, make these changes. That was brilliant. And it's because it's him. Well, Woods said this last week. He goes, you know what I love about a singer? I love when a singer's not perfect. I love imperfections. Woods said that. He goes, I love imperfections. I do. Plenty of them. Plenty of them. It's brilliant. It's brilliant. Accuracy in terms of lyrics, Woods. No, not even close. Really? Okay. I don't eat donuts anymore. Every bite you take. Every ankle injury you fake. Never faked it. We're out of the next, right?
Every chair you break. Every donut you take. Mikey is watching you. Mikey is watching you. I am watching you. That's true. Every lazy day. That's true. A little bit. On every couch you lay. That is true. No, you lay on that couch. All your chins will stay. I don't only have two chips. I don't play with my fat. Don't you? You do play with it sometimes. You'll grab it and shave it. You cost me. That is true. You did cost him. 50 grand, 25. Well, because you would have split it. How my bank book aches. That's true. With every donut you ate. But you don't need them anymore. Try to get it. Every bite you take. Still eat. That's a creepy line. If you dip, you contemplate. Yeah, you do contemplate. I don't know what contemplate is. Every smoke is break. Every blame you escape. Might be watching you sometimes. Yeah. Sometimes take some blame, too, though. Yeah, but you take it a lot. It's so long that my wiener you want to treat. Makes no sense. I dream it that you and Chaz have the same face. Your boobs are bigger and a bra keeps them in. My boobs are not bigger than Chaz, but those. My nipples are often erect. I don't want them in my face. No. No, I don't. I think you do, Mike.
They are often erect. Yeah, I can tell you. I don't. I know that they are. I don't have to feel I can see. And all you have to do is ask. I'll tell you. I don't. I don't want them. That was something else. It was something else. And it's something else. Maybe I do understand why people love him so much. Yeah. That was great. Unbelievable. So you just write parody songs about your coworkers? Apparently. That's what I'm doing now. That's your thing. L.O.B. Oh, boy. I believe that. Eject. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Wait till I tell you who was on Piers Morgan with a vengeance. And I mean a vengeance. You know Ronnie from the Jersey Shore? Of course. Yeah, well, I don't, but we'll talk about him because he's answering a pretty crazy question about steroids. Yeah, you can get the GoPhone Unlimited.

At Boy's Head, we work hard to make our oven go turkey the best it can be. It's pure turquoise, slow-roasted the old-fashioned way. But there's a downside to such excellence. Boar's Head Oven Gold is a magnet for lunch thieves. You open up the office fridge and find your oven gold turkey sandwich has been stolen, pilfered, pinched. So what can you do? Well, you could get a cheap turkey sandwich from a sandwich chain, something made from ground-up parts, preservatives, and fillers like seaweed extract. Nobody's going to steal that. Or you could stand by your oven gold turkey and take defensive measures. Invest in a padlocked lunchbox, set up a fridge cam, or simply eat your lunch at 10 a.m. before anyone has a chance to steal it. Sure, it's a little extra effort, but a great turkey sandwich needs protecting. And oven gold is the best there is. Boar's Head, compromise elsewhere. Try a slice of Boar's Head premium deli meats and cheeses in select supermarkets, gourmet stores, and fine eateries. Mom!

But can you finish those carrots for your pilot's vision? I'd rather do my math homework. Thought so. Looks like the 56 westbound ramp to El Camino Real. There's a disabled SUV. It's got lanes blocked. The 80s bound after old 80 highway, an accident on the right shoulder. It's a motorhome that was pulling a trailer and it hit a pickup truck, but they do have tow trucks on the scene. You've got some delays on the 15 southbound right after Rainbow Valley Boulevard due to a motorcycle accident. This report also brought to you by Applebee's. Applebee's two for 20 bucks. And now back to The Mikey Show with Mikey. I got a box of, you know, stuff in the mail because I like to shop on the Internet. Lauren. I'm not a crier. Woods. I used to drink a lot. And Jay. How about you let me raise my own kid? On FM 94.9. It doesn't matter that Stevie Wonder is 75 years old. Right. Back the other day, Woodsy saw a black woman, as we often do. Let's see a nine-year-old little girl. If she's black, I go, L.O.B. Because L.O.B. loves her some black guys. I do it out loud when I'm with my boyfriend. Yeah. And he goes, you don't get to do that. I'll say, L.O.B.
I think we've probably got more M1s just watching TV by themselves in their houses going, hello, boo. It's 100%. I do it. Yes. I'll be by myself, and I'll go, hello, boo. I'll watch Cam Newton drop back to pass. Hello, boo. Hello, boo. I haven't said a revolution yet. When I do, it will be good for tickets to go see Bush, Filter, and Chevelle. So call her nine. Get ready for it. Did you guys know? That they found the remains of Michelle Lee, and it turned out that it was Amber Dubois' mom that found the remains. How crazy is that? Yeah, she was on a member of a search party, and the search dog broke out of her hands, ran, and led her right to it. How insane is that? Woodsy, what's going on in sports? Oh, well, we got a big weekend in football this weekend, and one of the things we talked about earlier is that the Jacksonville Jaguars have already made,
Their quarterback switch, they are going to turn to rookie Blaine Gabbert. He was the 10th pick in the draft. And it'll be a pretty cool game because it's going to be that guy, Blaine Gabbert, against Cam Newton for the Panthers. Also wanted to tell you that the Padres actually got a win last night. Big night for Heath Bell. Recorded his 40th save of the season. Congratulations to him. They beat Colorado 2-1. Wendy Williams talked to Ronnie from the Jersey Shore. Who's Wendy Williams? She's a talk show host. Is she the busty black lady? Hello, Bree. This is her talking to Ronnie from the Jersey Shore. By the way, I asked you this before, but I have to ask again because the rumors still persist. Are you steroiding and that's roid rage? No, it's Sam rage. Okay. That's called Sam rage. Because I watch you. Buff? Jacked. Yeah? Big dude. Identical woods. Identical woods? Do you think he does steroids? Yes. No. Yes, you do woods. I watch the show. I don't think he does. No, a thousand percent. Just me. I watch you on the show, right? And after you fought with Situation, who really fought himself banging his own head into the wall. I don't know. They had issues. Well, that's who he fought.
When the situation went through the wall? They started to get verbally into it, and then the situation freaked out and hit his own head against the wall. Are you guys noticing the changing of the voice? The Wendy Williams changing? I don't know what she sounds like normally. I do. Doesn't sound like that all the time. You watch Wendy Williams? I've heard her before. Yeah. I don't watch it. I'm not Jay. Don't you? She's changing her voice. Really? Yeah. After that, you said you were going to leave, and when you opened your suitcase to pack, all I saw you throwing in there were bottles of pills. I mean, supplements, you know. Yeah, supplements. I take vitamins and stuff like that. Do you think she's doing a little like Jersey Shore? I think she's doing, you know, she's trying to do the affectation. How you doing? You were on supplements. What? On line three is someone named L.O. Black. M1 L.O. Black from San Diego. Are you there? Yeah, what's up? What's going on, L.O. Black?
You, baby, I'm chilling. What you up to? I'm chilling, too. Like a villain. I'm chilling like a villain. Yeah, I hear you, baby. I hear you. What's good, though? Well, thank you. He's doing a bit. Well, my call screener says this guy seems to really like L.O.B. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah. You know why, right? Why? Luscious, outstanding booty, baby. Oh. Thank you. Luscious. Outstanding booty. Hi, sir. She's blushing. I am fanning myself off. She's really fanning herself off. As a matter of fact, I want to tell her something. Go ahead. I'm one of the first African-American postman. You know why, baby girl? Why? Because when I lick you and I stick you, I send you away first class. Hello, Bree. One of the more disgusting things I've heard. Sounds like he has a package for you as well. Yeah. Oh, my. Yeah, that's what they do. They call me the black coffee bean.
The black coffee bean. Yeah, you know what they call me, the bean, baby? Why? Because I grind so fine. Oh, yeah. Hold on. We missed it. We missed it. You grind so fine. And I'm just like Maxwell House. I'm good to the last drop. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow, I like that. Creepy and disgusting. L.O.B. has a smile on her face right now because of L.O. Black. Well. I don't know what she blushed more at, her singing opera yesterday or the fact that L.O. Black is on the line saying that he grinds better than Maxwell House. Grinds like a coffee bean. The postman comment really got me. Followed by. Wow. Well, you know, L.O. Black, that L.O.B. loves her some black guys. I do. Maybe you should come in the studio for one of our Mikey Show lives. You give me the time. I'm there, baby, because guess what? I love me some white women. Isolate! Where are the white women at? Isolate! Oh, you are genius and tremendous, and where have you been all our lives? Yes, tell me. You're single, I take it. Why is it taking you till now to call? Hey, we hadn't met up. The stars didn't line up. But now, guess what?
What? Black Sabbath. I think he's calling it the wrong show. L.O. Black. Wow. L.O. Black. Uh-oh, we're losing him. Are you there, L.O. Black? I'm here, baby. Oh, wow. Listen, perhaps we have you come in for a Mikey show live, and you hang out, and she's already got a boyfriend. You've already got a boyfriend, L.O. I do. And so, obviously. Not a husband, though. No. Not a husband. But she's in a committed relationship. Is she? Minus three. Right. Oh, wow. No commitment, really. Oh, wow. It's like a fake commitment. Yeah. It's not a fake commitment. There's a real commitment. Well, you can say stuff. You can't just say stuff. There's a real commitment going on. I can say I'm committed to something, and I'm just saying it. Right. Exactly. Well, we can send him to Vegas, or we can send him to San Fran for the weekend. It won't be a problem. Oh, wow. I wouldn't try and disrupt the commitment, what's going on. There. That sounds very legit. Because if you're in different zip codes, it doesn't count. That's exactly right. That's the creepiest thing I've ever heard, except for the Maxwell House comment. I'm sorry, the post office comment. Which was, up until that point, one of the creepiest things I've ever heard in my life. The postman got me. The postman really got me. Well, see, I'm brewing right now, baby, and I'm percolating. So let's let, you know, what you want to do? Oh, let's get it percolated.
Oh, wow. What do you look like, L.O. Black? Oh, I'm about 6'1", 225, muscular built. Weird. Ball-headed. Just a true average black man. Luscious and delicious. Luscious and delicious. That's what's great about a black guy. A white guy, and I don't care how hot he is, he can't call himself luscious and delicious. He can't. Scrumptious. Oh, scrumptious. Scrumptious. Even more. Even better. Yeah, my point made even better. I wish I was a black guy sometimes. Oh, yeah. 100%. So, yeah, you could be scrumptious and delicious, baby. There you go. 61225 muscular. That sounds about right. Wow. Wow, LLB. Sounds. You're in a committed relationship. I know, I know, I know. But I'm just saying to go along the lines of scrumptious and delicious. Right. That pretty much fits, you know. Yeah. All right. Well, thank you for that, Jay. Well, L.O. Black, I'll put you on hold and maybe we can get you in here sometime. Hang on, okay? Hang on. Do you think I'll be able to concentrate? No. I'm going to have L.O. Black sit where Woods is sitting. Oh, my gosh. I'll go sit on the couch. Right next to you. I wouldn't. I'd be like, da, da, da, da, da. Oh, wow. L.O. Black was not messing around. Blushing. Oh, she turned red.
Like a red light. Crimson. So crimson red. I'm still thinking about that postman coming. Creepy. Oh my gosh. Anyway. He had to wait with the words. I will step away for a few minutes. You guys continue. You want to play Why Are We Here? Yeah. Let's play Why Are We Here. Okay, I'm going to reach in. I'm going to pull out a couple of voice names that we do. And then we will pull out the location that they're at. And they'll be there. And we'll have to figure out why they're there. Why are those two people there? All right. First, the names of the persons which Jay put in the I'm glad you asked, Ben. Wrong bit. Let's see. Bieber. Yo, what's up? There you go. Bieber, you are going to be teamed with Little Juan.
Yo, who's little Juan? Is that a rapper? No, dude, it's me. Now, we have to find out where we're going to be. We are in the space shuttle. It's never happened. We're in the space shuttle together. Of course. Again, Jay, I didn't see what time. Hold that up again. Sorry. All right, so you're going to be launching off in the space shuttle together. 20 seconds and counting. Man, I'd be nervous. Man, I'm nervous. You ever done this before, dude? No, man, I'm a singer. I'm a performer. I'm freaking out. I'm never done. I've never been to space, bro. Yo, man, you'd be the first Mexican in space. Trust me on that. Oh, man. I don't like it, man. I'm brown and I'm no longer down, dude. Yo, man, you need to get me out of here. We're way up in the air, bro. Hey, dude. Yo.
I'm freaking out, man. I'm losing my mind. You gotta call my mom's. You like Tang or what, dude? Come on, man. You know I like Tang. Jay put in a weird... Man, was we in Star Wars? I don't know if we're in space, dude, or if we're in a video game. It sounds like World of Warcraft. This is like real live asteroids, dude. Call me, Scotty. Yo, man, I'm scared of death. I'm scared too, bro, because... We're supposed to be in the space shuttle and all of a sudden I'm hearing things about Star Trek. I just heard somebody say something about Scotty. Dude, what's up with Uncle Jay, bro? Yo, man, I think he's been hitting the green. What the hell is that, dude? The green, man, the weed. Oh, that's the stuff Woods wants to get a medical card for, bro. That's right, that's right. And... Yo, was that a robot?
Is there a robot in the house, dude? Why is there a robot? I have to go pee, but we're not out of orbit yet, and I don't think... Yo, man, you're supposed to pee in your suit. What's that dude that keeps talking? I don't know, dude. It's helping me nuts. It's freaking nuts. It's the laws of physics. What the... It didn't say Star Trek. It said Space Shuttle. Why can't he understand his Space Shuttle? Does he not understand how this bit works? Somebody's taking Tylenol flu cold birds, bro. Dude, I think we should have probably wrapped it up like three minutes ago, bro. Oh, my gosh. Tremendous. Strange bird. Dude, there's something. So, let's see. Jay's house was skate central yesterday. Oh, boy. Not for me, but for everybody else. Jasper and his buddies, they all skated for five minutes, and then the dads kept calling me.
asking if they can come over and skate. I don't know why I talk like that. Because I built a skate ramp by myself. My bare hands. My hands. And then yesterday, one of the dads came flying off the side of the ramp, Mach 1. Landed flat on his back, started laughing. I thought he was dead. Maybe I can charge admission. Maybe you're going to get sued. Yeah, that was my first thought. Guys just out there skating. Old guys. Can't you get in trouble if one of their kids gets hurt on your ramp? I trust these guys. Do you sign anything? Do you have them sign anything? Not these guys, but if it gets any more. What if, dude? Oh, these guys I've known for years. You should have waivers and admission fees. I like admission fees. You should still have them sign a waiver. Yeah. You don't want them to sue you.
No, I don't think they will. You should film everyone that goes on and go, you know that you assume the risk. The yellow bee would? Yes. She had a trampoline in her backyard. Sign up. Sign up, chief. Yeah, there you go. We went over to CB's place and his kids have a trampoline in the backyard. And Jake went on it and loved it. Of course. Oh, fun. And yeah, I mean, and he says that you can get small ones. He had a drying trampoline, but you can get ones that'll fit in, you know. In a backyard that's small, yeah. I would get a net. I flipped off of one. Yeah, I had a net around it. We didn't have nets growing up. No. I flipped off of one. I still don't. We double bounced real good, 30 feet in the air. It's the greatest. The double bounce is so fun. What is it? Double bounce is when you and I are both jumping. Yeah. And right before you hit, I hit. And I double bounce you and that feeling. You launch. Oh, really? Your mouth goes up, or your stomach goes up into your mouth. Yeah, and you're like, oh my God. The kids love it when you go with the kids. That's being a kid. That's being a kid. The greatest. Love it. People could trap you though if you, okay, so say you like bounce down on your butt and you're trying to get back up. Someone keeps jumping right by where you are and you can't get back up. You steal the bounce then. Oh my gosh, my like bigger cousins when I was like an eight year old skinny little kid would just.
jump right there and I'd be like, I can't get it. Kids ever mess with each other? Flop around. You'd have the perfect yard. You could put it back behind the pool. It'd be perfect. Yeah. With a big net around it and you could go out there and jump with him. You know what we were thinking though, Jay, is what about like automatic sprinklers? Doesn't hurt it. Don't hurt it. No. It doesn't? No. Doesn't get the springs all rusty and all that? No. What I did too is I went ahead and put DG down. what is it designated driver no no it's it's a dip dip uh it's granite it's pieces of granite oh dude wait is that the rubber stuff no no this is like little pieces of rock like being a joshua joshua tree okay i want decomposing granite dg yeah yeah yeah yes and it keeps the weeds and stuff because you can't mow underneath your trampoline and you always have to move it slide around so just You could also, if you really wanted to, you could put it at ground level. You'd have people dig down. So you just walk straight onto the trampoline. That's badass. That is a way to do it. No way. That's badass. You walk onto it. You don't have to climb. You walk and go. And you just start bouncing. Right. So then you don't really need a net. Yeah, you do. Jay, do people do that? Oh, all the time.
All over the place. Yeah, it's cool. You still need a net though. Yeah, I still need a net. I've never had, I put a net on my trampoline for a week and I was like, get it out. No way, dude. I don't want people flying off of the, that's why, the reason they have a net around a trampoline. I've had one person fly off my trampoline and I've had it since, I've had it for 23 years. First time somebody flies off it, somebody's going to go, why didn't you have a net around it? And question, Jay, do you know, have you ever been to a place for kids where they've got that compressed rubber? Yeah. We cannot figure out where you can get that stuff, like how you can. That stuff's the greatest because kids don't get hurt on it. It's like a map. It's like it's like they have it at parks. Right. And, you know, like the whole ground is all made of this stuff. It's like shredded. They're like tires, I think. Recycled tires and they compress it until it's like real, you know, compressed and they roll it as ground. and how great would it be to have a trampoline on some stuff like that? Yeah. That would be cool. And I wonder, too, are they only set for kids, or can me and Woods and you get in there? Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I've had different levels of trampoline. Like, the one you get from Costco is pretty good. It's a circle one. Yeah. And it's fun. I mean, there's a lot of games you can play on it, but I stepped up to the next level. I ordered it from Texas. It's not square. It's more of a rectangle. Yeah. Man, it launches.
Really? Yeah. But it's a lot more expensive. It's triple the cost. You've been to his house. Yeah. He's got a trampoline? I've been on his trampoline. Really? Yeah. I've been on his skate ramp and his trampoline. And your trampoline is set for adults, kids, everything. Everybody likes it, yeah. You just got to make sure you don't get a real cheapy one. And I won't have to worry about that with you. Did you build it? No. You didn't have to put it together. I wove it. The first trampoline I ever had, I built in a metal shop. Okay, so this one you don't have to put together. Oh, yeah. Oh, I built it like that. Yeah, you absolutely. He thought I meant, which he has. I did. I welded it. I built his, welded and built his, no, I meant, did you have to assemble it? I had to assemble it, absolutely. It's easy. I'll come over. I'll come over. I'll come over. You need to get the one that's dug in the ground. Dude. You'll only be happy. You have to hire a company to do that. Yeah, I'm sure. If anybody's listening and they know of a company that does that. Well, you hired a company to organize your kitchen, so you'll be fine. You can find one. I didn't find that. We hired somebody to organize our closets. They came in and built space. Right. You know, closet world. You had a spatula mover.
Come to the house. Oh, don't try to make it like it's such a big waste, blah, blah, blah. Took all day long and it organized the hell out of that place. You have something for everything. Yes. That's what I'm saying. A service for everything. Is it all that you're saying? We had a lot of things in a lot of places. Oh, wow. Oh, gosh. That judgmental look. Yeah, sure you did. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's kind of right on the way he is. Fair enough. I didn't know that. You didn't? Mm-mm. Wasn't my fault. That's all I have to say. I now have some ammo in my quiver. Yeah, for Rebecca. Hey, babe, if you're listening, I'm sorry that Woods is making you seem like a lowlife for hiring somebody. Not her. Why am I? You could have gone in and organized. It wouldn't have been a big deal. Oh, she did? Yeah. I'm sure that Rebecca would have preferred that I go organize the kitchen. I cannot organize kitchens. Please, dude. I hope you get a trampoline for the record. Yeah, yeah. If somebody knows about trampolines, please help us. I can help you order one. I'm not touching to Bill. No, no. Kill somebody, dude. I would, too. Woods has something in his recap that I want to ask about because I don't understand, and we'll do that next time.

Rock Revolution, right in front of your eyes. I'm going to read Woodsy's recap because I want to know what he's talking about. Get inside this head of mine. Yes. First, M1 Brian from Penasquito. Are you there? I am. What's going on? Talking about getting the trampoline dug down at the ground level, right? Right. So my folks had a pool put in. We had a trampoline that was just on the grass where the pool went. And so the guys that came and dug out the pool... We just took their Hobie cat and dug a hole in the ground, and we sunk a trampoline down there. Really? So cool. That's pretty cool. It was a lot of fun. You got to make sure you put a drain at the bottom, though, because otherwise when it rains, they'll just fill up the water. Yeah. Yeah. Well, somebody did send us a link for a place called Backyard Adventures in San Marcos, and that's pretty cool. And thank you for the info. I appreciate that.
If you want their website, Backyard Adventures, Backyards, the number four, and then fun. So it's BackyardsForFun.com. And that stuff that I was talking about, the rubber, is called rubber mulch. It's cool, man. Your kids can run around on it. They don't get hurt. They can run and literally fall face first in this stuff and bounce up pretty much. I mean, it's real soft and it has give to it and it ain't like concrete. But you can walk on it. It's very safe. And, man, the trampoline idea. That's so cool, man. Christmas. Yes, I would love it. Your boys are getting to that age. Oh, yeah. They are getting to that age. Great entertainment. You just say, go out and jump on the trampoline. Okay. Yep. I'll try, but, you know, it's going to be hard to get across some misses. You think? Yeah. No. It's good fun. It ain't cheap. That's the problem. How much is a trampoline worth? I just sent you an email on the one I got. It was $2,200. But the one from... But the one from Costco is probably four to six. Really? Yeah. I just wanted a real bouncy one. Weird. I do everything to the extreme, Mike. Yeah. You can do a half-assed trampoline. Maddie and her friends over, you know, I want to have really bouncy trampoline. Full bounce-ability, L-O-B. I want full bounce-ability. What I like to do is I'll play the Macarena, Mike, and then...
What I do is I say, okay, girls, we're going to play a game, all right? Now, I'll say, who gets to jump on the trampoline? You ready? Here we go. All right, everybody jump on the trampoline if your last name's not Isabel. I jump and I shoot him with a water gun. By water guns, I mean... I throw water balloons that are filled with whipped cream at them. That's what I mean by shoot them with water. Around their chest. Whoa. You get it, Mike? Get it? All right, girls. Now, everybody whose first name ain't Maddie. Or Liberty. Or Liberty or Kim. Actually, Kim, get up there. Get up there. Yeah. You get up there, girl. It's fun for them. They love it. They love it. Sorry, Maddie. Your turn's coming up. Don't worry. Don't worry. All right. Now, everybody put your bikinis on. We'll take a dip in the pool. We're going to take a dip in the pool, but first we're going to play on the trampoline before we take a dip. All right? Maddie and Liberty, you get back inside and fill up those whipped cream balloons. Y'all get busy, girls. All right?
You know who pays the rent. No, Samantha and Sabrina are going to stay. A trampoline ain't going to bounce itself, girls. Come on now. Jump. You're a guest in my home. Jump. Show it. Uncle Jay bought the underage beer, so. Y'all, if you're going to do it, if you're going to drink it, you got to drink it here. You know that. Y'all be safe. Y'all are higher. You like wine coolers? Y'all like Martles and James? You like fuzzy navels? Because I got one. I meant to drink. Hi, Tiffany. Hi. That's right, girl. Hey, that's great. Are you a gymnast? Yeah, you are athletic, girl. That one is flexible. There you go. Now, let's see if you can do the splits. There you go. Did the splits in there. That's great. Uh-oh. Oh, wow. Different sound effects. Uh-oh. Liberty. Come on, big leg. Jump higher. Liberty. You let your... You let your... Trouble your friend, Samantha, over. Told you about Samantha. She's got the mumps. No, she doesn't. No, she's got mumps. She's contagious. She better go home. I think she's got it. I know what it looks like. Oh, no. You gotta make her go home now, okay? She's gonna get everybody sick. Everyone sick. Who wants to sit in my lap now?
Where we go, take dip. I'll sit on Uncle Jay's lap. M1, Caleb from La Mesa. What was the word of the day? Revolution. That's right. You just got yourself tickets to go see Bush, Filter, and Chevelle, my friend. I'm stoked. Hang on the line, all right? All right. All right, now girls under 110. 110 pounds. 110 and under now. Very nice. I like your form. Flip. Do a flip. Point your toes, dummy. That's right. You've been working on it. That's good. Getting better. Your shirt is too loose. Tuck it in or take it off. Shorts are too long. Roll them up. You turn butter in those things now? What's going on? Try it in your bathing suit. It's better for movement. You get...
You get better height if you wear your keeney. Keeneys only now, girl. Here, here's a way to dry your keeneys. You jump at an air drive, Keeney. Keep jumping. High. Old Texas keeney trick. Getting them dry. Yeah. It's good exercise. None of y'all have to hit the gym except that one. The mumps one. Yep, the girl of the mumps. I told her to go home about 20 minutes ago. Why is she still here? Still here. Oh, where is she? Oh, she's having checks mixed again. Getting the checks mixed on. Getting your check mixed on, huh, girl? You know Kim and I pay for that. Ain't free. That's for everybody. That's for everybody. Not just you. That's for everybody, Samantha. Samantha. So make sure you leave a little bit for everybody else. Get your mump of hands in there. Your mom called. She said you're supposed to be home. She called and said, I don't know, your daddy died. You don't know. It's a plane crash. Get out. She said, you need to get now. Go on now, get. Get. Go on now, Samantha. You get now. Come on. All right, Sabrina and Tiffany. Back on the tramp. Y'all gonna break a world record.
Let's see how many jumps you can do. I did 100. Keep going. I bet you can't do it. I bet you cannot. Whoa, wow. You got high. You're going to prove me wrong, aren't you? Oh, yes, you are. Old Mr. Isbell just putting out challenges. Prove me wrong. I'm a big old son of a bitch. Oh, you say, yeah, you ain't going to take that bet, are you? I bet you will, though. What's that? You want a Budweiser? All right. Don't tell your daddy. As long as you shave and you ain't leaving. Can you cut your food? We know you can, Tiffany. We know you can cut your own food. I told you to get now. You don't even bother cutting it anymore. Just eat it and eat it and eat it. You're supposed to chew that before you inhale it. Liberty, why don't you get that girl to bed because she just...
Eating the whole time she's over here. Got barbecue sauce all over the place. We ain't got no barbecue. Drinking straight from the bottle. Leftover from last night. Man, girl, you're just drinking that KC Masterpiece right from the bottle. I'll start calling you KC. Hey, KC. KC and the Sunshine Gang. About to brand you. Oh, my God. Man. Let's see. Okay. So here's what Woods' recap says that I would like some explanation of. Okay. Your brother-in-law, Ryan, and his girlfriend, Jenna, are staying with you guys. Yes. And your recap says Ryan and Jenna found a place, and they're going to be moving out at the end of the month. That means that Jamie, your wife, can start talking normal again. Yes. other people around she does voices and stuff right it's hard to explain i'll have to do it on the air she i'm a dead man first of all i'm a dead man but she'll do this thing and it's not just ryan and jenna it's when anybody could be over l-o-b could be over yeah and she'll be in the kitchen and she'll be uh cooking something or like washing a dish or something right they'll come in and say oh hey and she'll go oh hello and she'll do
A weird, it's like, and I'll be in there too, so I don't know if it's like, oh, I'm uncomfortable. So she'll be like, oh, just making dinner. And she doesn't do voices. Like she'll do like a fun little British thing. Maybe, or like raise her octaves. Yeah, her octaves. I know what you mean. It's not British, but I do like, if I bump into someone in the bathroom, like if I'm coming out and they're going in, I'm like, oh, hello. Yes, yes. Oh, hello. What is that all about? It is. And I look at her and I stare at her and I'm like, because if I'm in the kitchen and somebody, Ryan walks in, I go, Hey, what's up, dude? Exactly the same. Exactly the same. Hey, what's going on? Did you have a good day? Cool. All right. I'm going to bed. Do you have like, okay, someone in the hallway says to me like a little bit. In the hallway here at work? That works here and I'll be like, yes.
It's unbelievable. Does your wife do that? Yes. So it's that what she's talking about? It's that kind of thing. And I don't... Nervous? Nervous. It's like nervous, maybe? You guys don't do that? Their polite voice. No. Is that a polite voice? It's just like, you know, hey, trying to be real super friendly and energetic. Change voices for different situations sometimes. Well, you'd do it. Yeah, you'd do it with your OBF, your only black friend, Terman. Oh, with his OBF, he talks black. Yeah, exactly. I don't really see color, so I just... Don't you? Don't you? Why do you call him your OBF? Well, first of all, why do you call him your OBF? Your only black friend. And second of all, when you see him, how come you suddenly turn into a brother? He's like, hey, what's good, man? Hey, what's up? I don't know. Man, the black folks love me. I love black folks because I'm black. Because I'm black. That's audio of Woods at his gig on Friday. He's loving me some black women. It is...
Totally comfortable for Woods. Mm-hmm. Completely uncomfortable for others. Yes. By others, I mean everyone else. He likes it. I think a lot of people do that, though. He likes it. By the way, that's what Woods says about his OBF. Mm-hmm. He loves it. Yeah. I've never heard Termin himself say, Mikey, I love it. He loves it. Well, he doesn't let, Woods doesn't let him speak for himself, you know? Oh, wow. He's just like. He's got Peanut on the phone. Yeah. Yeah, Peanut, call in. Call in, Peanut. Everyone's got voices. I have different voices for old people, too. I'm like, hi. Yeah, this is so nice. Oh, wow. That's your old person voice. Talking to old people. You guys do it, too. I've heard all of you do it. When people come in the studio, everyone has their polite voice. Hey, guys. How are you? That's Mikey's. Hey, guys. How are you doing? That's Mikey's. Yeah, you do it. Well, it's when I raise my voice. That's what I sound like. Hey, guys. What's up?
You can't be like, hey, guys, how are you? Hey, guys, how are you? It's not weird. Hey, guys, how are you? Hey, guys, hi. That's mine. Hey, how are you? Good to see you. Yeah, mine's pretty normal. I just say, hey, when you get in, try not to throw up when Mikey talks to you. Oh, well, you guys are perfect, aren't you? Wow, did you hear what he said? Wait, what did you say? I said, hey, try not to throw up when Mikey talks to you. Try not to throw up when Mikey talks to you. That's what he says to me. You get it because you're hideous. You disgust me. It's hard to talk about. I don't look him directly at Bill. Kim, today, never mind. I'll tell you after I eat. I can't eat. Well, I should tell you before because I'm going to throw up. Ask me about work because then I got to say his name. The Mikey. Hey, I got good news and bad news. Good news is we've been invited to a Padre game. The bad news is we have to go. We got to go with my ass. There's going to be food there. It's going to be a whirlwind. I don't know how we're going to have to steal it. We're going to have to stick it out so we can get the leftovers. Don't look at him. Don't watch him eat. I'm telling you from experience, do not watch him eat. Don't watch while you're eating. It is tough.
I couldn't be more glad that I sit behind glass. I mean, if I had to look at him and smell him and watch him. And hear him. And hear him. Oh, my God. That's why they put that glass up. I made him. I said in this. In my contract. I can't breathe his air. I can't. It ain't soundproof. You're so disgusting. Freaking Mexican proof. It's maggie proof. It's maggie proof. It's maggie proof. It's maggie proof. It's proof. It's proof, okay? It's maggie proof. You guys have the voice. You all have the voice. It's a weird bit. Woods, with your black voice that you do with Eric Terman? I don't do that. You do. No, I don't. Yes, you do. Yes, 100%. I don't do that. When you do the black voice with Eric Terman, you'll make black jokes. Now, Woods says Eric Terman's okay with it. He is. Well...
He's sort of like self-appointed okay with it. Like, in other words, you deemed him. You don't know our dynamic. We text each other on a nightly basis, and he will text me. Jeter will come up to the plate, and he'll say, I'm a light-skinned brother. I don't like a light-skinned brother. And I laugh and then make a black gem. Like? I don't know. See? No. He doesn't know anything. He... I just know he's okay with it, okay? He just trusts me. You also refer to him as brother in person. That's a true story. That's a true story. What's up, my brother? What's up, brother? He doesn't do that with Garrett. No. Okay? No. Or any of the engineers? Nope. No. No. I don't know why I do that, then. There are black men that work in our building that he will do that to. Yes. I've done that before. Where's Peanut? Is he on the phone? Yeah, we got him on the phone. Hey, Peanut. Hi, LBF. What's happening? What's happening? I will tell you this. Terman's one of the funniest dudes. I love it. Could be a writer. Yes. Whenever you've been here and Woods starts to make his black jokes, I always feel like Woods, like you're like, ha, ha, ha, ha. Make him put his honest cap on. Yeah.
He's going to do a bit right now. He loves to do bits. Make him put his honest comments. I always feel like, yeah, Woods, yeah. I'm totally cool with that. Sure, I'll bring cognac to your birthday party. Sure. That's what Woods told me to do. He said, whenever we do black jokes. Just act like you're cool with it. Yeah, he said, just be cool with it. Yeah. Otherwise, we can't be cool anymore. Yeah, we can be friends. Yeah, we can be friends as long as I get to make black jokes. Right. And as long as you're cool with that and we have an understanding. I knew it. Then he said, this is our dynamic. Yes. He's like, hey, right? Did he say you had your hand twisted behind your back? Yeah, he did. He's like, hey, this is our dynamic. Right? Right. Friend? Mm-hmm. Friendship here. Say it. Say it, Sarban. Say it, Sarban. He's like an abused spouse right now. Yeah, he just does what I tell him. Right. Weird. Pretty much. So he's allowed to make black jokes with you, and not only is he allowed, you like it, Woodson. I love it. Yes, love it. Love it. He's doing bits. He's doing it through clenched teeth. He's doing bits right now. He makes white jokes to me, and I make black jokes to him.
Because we're friends. Yes. So many white jokes. I've never heard him do a white joke. He does a lot of white jokes. I've never heard a white joke. That's actually him. No. Calls me cracker all the time. Does not. Yeah, he does. He actually calls me cracker ass cracker. He has a white wife. Let's put that out there as well. Yeah. He loves white people. Yeah. Now, Terman. Yep. I've never heard you make the so-called white jokes. You don't hang out with us a lot. Mikey, I don't. I don't even know a whistle. No. This is all news to me. I did make a joke when I played my gig Friday. He was heckling. And I said, do black guys ever yell at the stage? Oh my gosh. You said, do they talk back at the screen in the movie theater? Right. Do they ever do that? Some chicken wings. You know, he loves orange soda. And Terman. And everyone looks at me, yeah? Yeah. Nah, Jamal was there. You had your buddy, Jamal, there. L.O.B.? Oh, yeah. L.O.B. Real good. Did you hear L.O.B. Black this morning? I was working, but I don't think that was identical to Jamal. No. No, it wasn't. But a guy called, and he wants L.O.B. real bad. Talk to Chris. We might have him in the studio. Say what up, black people?
Hey, dude, anyway, I'm sorry. Yeah, we all are. We all are sorry. I'm not sorry. I apologize for my race. Yes. Sorry, I'm not sorry. And we're sorry that Woods, you know, made you be okay with these black jokes. You know what? It's fine. It's fine. Woods, are we still friends? Yeah, we're still friends. Even though you turned him in. As long as I can still keep making jokes. That's our dynamic, Woods. That's it. That's our dynamic. That's it. I'm glad you're fine with it. Right on. Right on. Thank you, Chairman. You guys take it easy. All right, we'll see. He's a great dude. He's the greatest. Love that guy. All right, let's do M Factor. A great audience. Love it. You can come in here, too, if you want to. The way that we do our live studio audience is that you go to MikeyShow.com and you sign up for it. You get to come in, hang out, and it's a good time. Yeah. You can watch Jay Doodle Wieners. Yeah, Jay Doodle the Wiener. Yeah, he's just sitting out there thinking about wieners, I guess. And so Woods embarrassed him as people were. It didn't work.
Yes, people were coming in. He said it was a big one. I said, no, it looks more like average to me. But you traced yours. No, I didn't actually trace it. That was what the song said. That's what the song said, but I could trace it if you want me to. I have a little time on my hands. That's all right. We didn't have to tell everybody that, Woods. I didn't think it creepy. He's the one out there doodling wieners. It's not me. It's like the kid from Superbad. Right, exactly. Here's the song that... Jay wrote about woods. Every bite you take. No, that starts real quick, doesn't it? Yeah, very quick. Every ankle injury you fake. Every chair you break. Every donut you take. Mike is watching you. M-Factor coming up. Every lazy day. It's every day. On every couch you lay. He enjoys his songs more than anything. It's very smooth. All your chins will stay. They will. With your fat you lay. Mike is watching you. He's so into that word. Fat. You cost me 50 grand, you see. How my bank book aches with every donut you ate. You know, he means that. Yeah, I know. That's why we're no longer friends. Very close. You used to be good friends. Like brothers. Brothers. Every smokers break. Every blame you escape.
Mikey's watching you. You know, Wipeout really ruined things for you guys. It's so long that my wiener you want to trace. I dream it's not you. It doesn't make any sense. Same face. Your boobs are bigger and a braw keeps them in place. Your lips so cold, Mikey wants them in his face. I keep crying. Woods. Woods. I don't. No. Hold it. Hold it up. Oh, that's it. Very, very well done. Thank you, thank you. Oh, I like that one. I do. Well, that's a good lead-in to the M Factor. Yeah, very good. What we're going to do is during Mikey-thon, 6th and 7th of October, we're going to have, it's going to be three contestants that are going to be competing against each other. And we've already got our first, and it's Geneva. We found Geneva a while back. She did exactly what these people are going to do right now.
They perform on the M-Factor. They're going to sing on the air, and then we're going to say what we think of them. And, you know, you guys can, you know, we'll look around the room, see what people think, that kind of deal. And so first is M1, Amy from San Diego. Amy, how old are you? I'm 27. Okay, cool. What part of San Diego are you from? Valley Center. Okay, cool. And you're going to be singing Lauryn Hill. Off you go. I am. Okay, just start? Yep. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you. You'd be like heaven to touch. I want to hold you so much. I'd long last love ever arrived. And I thank God I'm alive. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you. Okay. You gonna hit a high note for me?
Maybe not anymore. Maybe not anymore. Maybe I cut you off right before you did. Okay. Poor thing. All right. Sorry about that. That's okay. All right. Well, I think you'll lose something with the phone. I really have to say. I was going to say. The phone connection's not that great. On a real mic, I think she's going to sound great. It was cut. Every once in a while, it would cut through and I would hear, oh, there's a morsel of goodness in there. But the phone... Can't really get the tone from the... from the phone breaking up the way that it did, but I think we have a general idea. Hang on the line. Next up, M1 Rebel from Oceanside. Are you there? I'm here, Mikey. Now, you are 40? That's right. All right, cool. And I like that, man. I like the fact that it's all ages because anybody can be good, doesn't matter how old you are. Look at Uncle Jack. There you go. That's right. Fair enough. Somebody like Woods would not be able to perform on American Idol, which isn't fair, I don't think. You know, they don't take anybody 27 or older. Right. That's not right. No one on our show, actually, could be on American Idol. Right. Exactly. Which is mess up. I want Woods to come and play up North County sometime when you get the chance. I'd love to, man. As soon as I get a gig, I'll play there any... I can even set you up with something, man. I'd love it. Let me know. Okay, I will. All right, dude. Let's hear you.
All right, I'm going to do Stone Sour here. I'm a little nervous, but I'll try it. Looking at you through the glass. Don't know how much time has passed. All knows that it feels like forever. No one ever tells you that forever feels like home. Sitting all alone inside your head. All right. It sounded like a boyfriend singing to a girlfriend. There was nothing. I didn't notice any exceptional power or strength in your voice. We're on a phone. Got to point that out. But just from what I heard, very ordinary, nothing that really blew me away. Woods. Well, he said he was going to get me some gigs in North County, so I'm all the way in. I think he was dynamite. I think he was dynamite. I can be bribed and bought. There you go. And L.O.B. I say nothing exceptional. However, he's better than a lot of people I've heard on stage. Very nice. L-O-B. Well, looks like Woods just gave me a big thumbs down. No, I didn't. Well, you didn't stay down, but you pointed it down. You pointed the thumbs down. Gosh, you're... Hang on the line. You're really on one. Hang on the line. M1 Sarah from San Diego is 25. Are you there, Sarah? Hello. What part is San Diego?
Mission Valley. I live in Mission Valley. Okay, cool. And you're going to sing Madonna opera style. I am. After L.O.B. busted it out, I thought I could maybe show her how it's done. That's right. That's right. All right, let's hear it. If a bicycle tire could lose air, I would imagine that that's what it would sound like. Not exactly what we were looking for. However, well done. Well done. Thank you, Woods. You bet. Now, Woods is too afraid to give you a thumbs down in front of me. If he does, I'm going to call him on it. L.O.B.? Isolate. Oh, yes. A hundred percent. And she's a genius. Hang on the line. That was fantastic. M1 Corinne from Sarah Mesa.
30 years of age, is that correct? Correct. Yeah. And you're going to do a little Bonnie Rae? Yes, sir. All right, let's hear it. I hope this microphone works. Turn down the light. Turn down the bed. Turn down these voices. Inside my head. Lay here with me. And tell me no lie. Just hold me close. Don't patronize, don't patronize me. Cause I can't make you love me if you don't. And you can't make your heart feel something it won't. Here in the dark of these final hours, lay down my life.
I feel the power. Thank you. How you doing, baby? First of all, I like the fact that you knew when you screwed up, and I could hear it, and you did. But, but, aside from that, it's probably the nicest voice that we've heard all morning long. Thank you. Woods. I thought it was good. Boy, this is going to be embarrassing. I love that song so much. I told you. I was in the studio. I told you Adele sang it. Yeah, Adele sings it really well. I thought you did a good job. I thought it was weak at parts, but overall pretty good. I thought... I'm so nervous right now. Oh, yeah, I get it. I thought you did great. L.O.B. I thought, aside from the clip of me singing opera this morning, it's definitely the best voice we've heard all morning. Yeah, I agree. That is true. I did that song. I took a singing class right before I joined the Mikey Show. That's right. And I did that song, and now I know how it's supposed to sound. Oh, there you go. There you go. Not bad. It was pretty dang good. Hang on the line, Corinne. I liked it. M1, we only have two more. Brandon from LeMace. Are you there, Brandon? I'm here. All right. Are you ready?
Yep. You're going to be singing Garth Brooks. Yep. Hey, listen. We haven't had a country artist try out yet, so let's hear it. When I took his glass of champagne, I toasted you, said, honey, we may be through, but you'll never hear me complain. I got friends in lone places where the whiskey drowns and the baby chases my blues away. Thank you. It sounded like.
Karaoke night at Cahoots. In Cahoots. Woods. Why? L-O-B? I thought it was good. I thought it was identical Garth Brooks. I like that song. You picked that song, so I thought when this guy hits the low note, that's going to be his big thing. That's what the song is. It's like you hit that low note and you really drive it home. My blues away. In low play. And I thought he was really, and it sounded like he was kind of, you know, wasn't able to get it, you know? But that song's almost, like, sticky because it does that. That's a poor song choice. He couldn't hit that low note. He could do it. Yeah, could he? Just that low note. Yit. That's me. But I liked it. All right, not bad. We like you, but... Yeah, but... Stop! Yeah! Stop saying it. Being honest. He didn't give any fatigue. Get in trouble when I'm honest. Get in trouble when I'm not. Come on. Daniela from Hillcrest. Hello. How old are you? 22. And you're going to be singing what? I doubt not someone like you. That's tough. Gosh, it's a beautiful song. Sounds confident. Oh, yeah, you do sound confident. All right, let's hear it. Never mind someone like you. I'm wishing nothing but the best food. Don't forget me.
That's not bad. You know, my thing is, can you do anything outside of that Adele stuff? Because that Adele stuff is very particular. And so if we gave you something else to sing. I wonder how it would sound. Meatloaf. Motorhead. Maybe not Motorhead or Meatloaf. But if we gave you another female artist, I just wonder how you're going to do. But I thought you sounded great. I thought you had a really nice voice. Thank you. But I also will tell you, it sounded like an Adele imitation, and it was good. But it sounded like you were doing your impression of Adele. So I wonder what it's going to sound like if you're doing something else. If we give you another female song to sing, how you would do. Woods, what did you think? Yeah, I really enjoy that song. It's a good song selection. She did it in a lot lower register, I thought, than Adele did. And I don't think it worked quite as well. So it was not an Adele. It was lower. Yeah, it was lower. But I would say no. No.
But I like you. It doesn't mean I don't like you. You didn't dig the voice. You were not down. Don't put words in my mouth. I'm asking. I'm asking. It's okay. I mean, that's what we got to do. I said pass, but. L.O.B. I think she has a very unique voice. Oh, boy. And I personally like the tone of it. It doesn't sound like everybody's. Thank you. It needs just a tiny bit of, like, tweaking. And I don't think she's been singing for a long, long time. Have you? Yeah, I have. She's like, yeah, pretty much my whole life. I thought maybe that this was like something where she was like, I think I sound like Adele. I'm going to try to sing. L.O.B. is like, I thought this was a case where you woke up this morning and were like, I think I might try singing for the first time ever. It did sound like very much like an Adele impression to me. So I say maybe try the next time around with a different song. Yes. Hang on the line, okay? I didn't think she was bad. Wood's not his favorite. Definitely not bad. I can't do that. For me, it was Corinne or her. Oh, I would say Corinne or the first girl. I like the first girl. She had the bad mic, but I thought there was something there in that Lauryn Hill song. Now, see, I was trying to be as nice as I could with that first one. I was giving her the benefit of the doubt with that phone. Okay. You want to try her again, see if we have a better connection? I kind of do, because I couldn't. I couldn't. I could gather, just like I said, morsels of it.
Maybe we let her hit that high note she was about to hit. That's a good idea. You there, Amy? Yes. The phone connection sounds better. Sounds a little better. Okay. I think, well, I'm not driving, so that's probably good. Okay. Well, let's have you try it again. This time I'm going to let you hit the high note, okay? Okay. Same song? Yeah. Okay. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you. You'd be like heaven's touch. I wanna hold you so much. At long last, love has arrived. And I thank God I'm alive. You're just too good to be true. Can't take my eyes off of you. Oh, pretty baby. So let me find you stay. Oh, pretty baby. Now that I find you stay. Oh, let me love you. Oh, baby, let me love you, oh, baby. Why does Mike look like, why do you look like you have to poop? I'll tell you. You did great, I thought. I think it was better when the phone didn't work. Sorry. It's your friend Mike Esparza, everybody. Hey, listen. It's our friend Mike Esparza. Are we going to be honest or are we going to sit here and play patty cake with each other? It didn't sound good. Listen, there was a couple of times in there where her, actually,
Her voice broke. No, it was a phone. I can't tell if it was the voice of the phone, but it sounded the same to me as it did the first time around. It was rushed. Well, she was trying to get to the high note. It was very, very rushed, and I didn't feel any presence in it. Okay. She wasn't feeling the words. You're Simon, so it's going to be your call. Yeah, I'm just being honest with you. She gets my vote. L.O.B. I like Amy, but I like Corinne. Better for this round. Okay. So, let's make it between Amy and Corinne. I could be wrong about it, and that's okay. I'm going to put you on hold, though, Amy, okay? Okay. We're going to go by round of applause. I'm not even going to look at anybody. Okay. Round of applause in the room. Let's start with Corinne. Round of applause. And Amy. Wait, wait, wait. I purposefully did. All I hear is Woods clapping. Paddles. It's too bad. I love me. Just clapped. I know, but it was so I hear those. I didn't clap because I don't. All I want to hear is like audience. I won't clap. A clap if you liked Corinne. Clap if you liked Amy. Amy wins. That's hands down. I think. And I was. Hey, listen, I was watching the meters levels. What did you think? I don't know. What did you think?
I don't know. One more time. We're going to give it another try. This time I want you guys to hoot and holler too, okay? I want you to hoot and holler. We've got to make a difference between the two of them. Corinne? Go ahead. Or Amy? Absolutely. I think Amy wins. If you did a show of hands, it would be Corinne. But Amy, because the people are louder. They were. And that was what it was about. It was about cheering. Her fans were more enthusiastic. And I'm going to tell you this. When we do this in front of people, we're going to have a big stage and the whole thing. It's going to be by the sound. We're going by decibels. This is the sound. This is the sound. So Amy, although I didn't think you were up for the job. I was wrong. I've been outvoted, and you are going to El Cajon. Hang on the line. Congratulations. Corinne, I would have picked you. You have coconut water. And Jay. I'm wearing cargo shorts right now. On FM 94.9. Let's make some noise in our live studio audience. Welcome back. We just did the M Factor. We're going to have three people competing against each other on October 6th and 7th when we do the Mikey-thon. 28 straight hours of the Mikey show. It's going to be a good time and it's all to raise money for Rady Children's Hospital and their ADI, their Autism Discovery Institute. And it should be pretty cool.
Get ready. Come down here for it. We encourage people to come and hang out. And it's a lot of fun. We did it last year, and it was our first year doing it here. And this year is going to be different. We've got a whole area downstairs that we put aside for people to come and hang out. We're going to have an area out there where people can barbecue, stuff like that. And it's going to be a good time. People generally camp out for it. They take a day off work. They come out. They camp. Pretty good time. And Woods and L.O.B. did it for the very first time last year. And you guys, what did you think? Piece of cake. Piece of cake. Yeah. No, it's very difficult. Well, I drove myself home after. Yeah, you did. That's a mistake. You did. I did. We asked you not to, but kid doesn't like to be told what to do. That's a true statement. You were supposed to drive me home, and then when we were leaving, somebody said, oh, Mikey, you have to record these spots. I said, I'm not waiting. Here, one more second. And I went and got in the car and just drove home. Just literally. Well, it is fun. It is fun. Listen, it takes a lot out of you, but it's a good time. And hopefully we raise a lot of money. Wood says if we raise more money than we raised last year, he's going to shave a fryer cut into his head. It's a true story. It doesn't look like it's going to happen with the Padres. No, it's not going to happen. Yeah. Yeah. When is the season over?
They got about nine days? Yeah. Eight days, something like that? They have to basically finish out the season without losing a game. It's not going to happen. I doubt it. And so... I'd rather do it for your son, Jake, anyway. There you go. It would make me happier. There you go. So we got a text here that I want to... Wait, no, do we? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's on here. Mikey, am I losing my mind or are my friends a jerk? They're always telling me I can do better. Yeah, if your friends are telling you that you could do better, A, that's not very nice of your friends to tell you that. Maybe true. Maybe you can. But what do they mean? There's a million ways that that could go. Maybe they mean that you could do better. You could get somebody that's nicer to you. Or it could mean that you could get somebody that's better looking. Could mean both. But as long as the person that you're with is not abusive, what do they care who you're with? Or fat, Mike. What if they're just jealous? Because that would be disgusting. Yeah, what if they're jealous? I would say, what do you mean by that? They probably do. Yeah, he probably does. If it's multiple friends, they're not all jealous. If it's multiple friends telling them, hey, pal, you could do better. Well, I've had friends like that. Oh, I've had friends like that. That you're like, really? That's what you're...
Really? That say you can do better? No, no. I've been the guy saying, hey, dude, you can do a lot better than that. Oh, wow. Oh, yeah. Why are you so jealous, Woods? I'm not jealous. Trust me. If you had seen this broad, you would have been like, wait, what? But he liked her. Did he or was he on the rebound? I don't know. He was on the rebound and was like, I'm lonely. I'm desperate. I just ruined a marriage. I need this. Yeah. It's very specific. It is. Hopefully he's not listening. Yes, because that was very specific. He had screwed up. Yes. And the next girl was just, I mean, like a three. It was like all he felt he deserved. Yes. He ruined a marriage. Yes. And he's like a nine. He's a sharp two. Like self-loathing. Yes, L-O-B. Damn it. Punish yourself. Yes. You're a bad man. You've been bad. You're bad. Is that what he was doing? Yes. Now that she says it, it makes sense. Yeah. At the time, I was like. Why is he with a three? Why is he with a three? I don't get it. Why is he with a three? Why is he with a three? He's a nine or a ten. He's a sharp guy. He's got money. He's good. Was she nice? Very quiet. Didn't say a word. Very mousy. Oh, man. I have never told anyone they could do better until that person breaks their heart. And then I'm like, you can do so much better anyway. But I would never step in. Yeah. I mean, you're going to...
tick them off you tell them that you will ruffle some feathers you will ruffle some feathers but you're doing it in the best interest of your friend uh jay i had a friend that was telling me that because he was he wanted to get with the girl i was with he's like oh dude you could do so much better and really what he was doing he was like trying to work game with her so did you i didn't fall for it i was like i broke off the friendship with that clown how do you know he's trying to get with her because he was trying to get with her she was mine Yeah, that's all that needs to be said. Everyone wants what I have. Everybody wants what I got, Mike. How hard is that to figure out? I had a friend. I never knew what his girlfriend's name was because we always called her Three Face. Oh, why? She's fat? No. Everything body-wise was like nine or ten. Face, three. Three Monster. L.O. Monster. I didn't come up with it. Her body was a ten. Her face was a three. We called her three face. It's like Fergie. LLB invented it. We called her butter face. She invented it. Everything butter face. I didn't invent it. LLB invented it. Three face. Three face. Holy cow. I don't trust anybody who has a P.O. box. What? It was against my will. That I had to go to health. Lauren. Pretty much every morning I think that somebody's going to jump out and kill me when I get into my car. And Jay. Well, you know you're in trouble if you can't outrun your grandma. Yeah. This is The Mikey Show on FM 94.9. Let's make some noise in our live studio audience. That was very Mexican. Yeah. Weird. It was like being at a...
barbecue when I was 12. It's usually followed by a lot of beer drinking. First Mexican barbecue I ever went to, there was a goat head. It was called cabeza. In a big pot. And people were putting it in tortillas and eating it. I mean, really? Yeah. The brains? Yeah. Yeah. They'll eat it all. I told Woods the other day, menu, though, is something that I would not even tell Woods to eat. No. I love it. Yeah. But I wouldn't even recommend it to Woods. What's it taste like? To me, heaven. What's it really taste like? It's a bit. Is it kind of like Chef Boyardee? No. It's not like that. It's not thick. It's not tomato-y? No. It's got a chili base. Chili base. Mm-hmm. Okay. Which is weird, because I don't like chili. Is it tangy?
No, it's spicy. Okay. It looks tangy. It ain't tangy. Have you ever seen it, L.O.B.? Yeah. I remember I brought you some after you had your surgery. It was so good. I do. What makes it gross is what's in it. Yeah, it's stomach lining. Lining of stomach. But you know what? When you think about it, dude, you're eating the other parts of the cow. It's just beef. It's beef. Okay. You know, like I remember, I thought it was so gross that people would eat beef tongue. Until I had it and I realized, yeah, it tastes just like pastrami. I had a tongue sandwich. Yeah, so did I. That's pretty good. I was at Carnegie Deli in New York. I had a tongue sandwich. It tastes just like roast beef. Yeah, it's tender. Yeah. Yeah, it's good. Well, menu, though, it's not that far off. It's just spicy. So you think I wouldn't like it because it's too spicy? No, I know you. You're weird with new flavors and textures. The texture, is it gushy? No, it's chewy. Is it a, oh. Chewy. It is chewier than beef. I will say that. So you just think while you're fighting, too. I love that. Lining. I like that. Oh, man, it's so good. And then hominy. Hominy, hominy, hominy, hominy, hominy. It's like corn. How many? Corn. Right. Yeah. It's like corn that's been soaked. So it's big and puffy. I can get down with hominy. Yeah, I love some hominy. It's great. Isolate. Let's see.
Apparently, Bill Clinton says that he turned down Dancing with the Stars. Hi, Rachana. Are you lovely? Thank you. Do you have a question for President Clinton? We know you have some moves. If you were to be on, would you ever be on Dancing with the Stars? Oh! And if so... She thinks you've got some good moves. Would you ever be on Dancing with the Stars? He couldn't hear her? What's up? That's Kathie Lee, I think. She's hammered because, well, it's time for work, maybe. Sounds like Kathie Lee, who's hammered. Yes. If so, what would your best dance move be? Oh, and your favorite dance. Your best dance move. This is interesting. Actually, they contacted me once. I did the horizontal bop one time. I did the cigar twist, too. That's not a dance, Mr. President. I did the cigar twist. You ever heard of it? It's not a dance. Is it a cigar twist? I told them I didn't. Heard you the first time, buddy.
That's the cigar twist. I know. That's way over the top. I don't understand what that means. You turn this way and then you intern this way. Oh, gosh. Darn it, Jake. Son of a bitch. Dang. Hey, that still ain't over the top as cigar twist, buddy. It's not. Mr. President. He said you turn this way and then turn that way. That's actually, you know, that's just a double entendre. Yeah, double entendre. Double entendre. Thank you, Mikey. It's very not typical of Jace's jokes. You actually go out there and you train. You really work at it. So I had to pass. What do you think your best dance would be? Would it be a tango or a rumba? I would like, I don't know, but I would like to master the tango. Everyone is thinking about the intern when he's saying this. Especially when he says, I would like to master, and then you. No one thought that LLB. I thought it, yeah. Creepers. Let's see. 570-1949 is our number. Beginning and end of every show. Open phone. You can call about anything you want to. We were talking about Simon Cowell the other day. I was doing my version of Simon Cowell earlier when we did the M factor. He's going to be on the X factor and yes, he does make it personal.
Could you take down Idol, do you think, in season one? It's impossible to predict. Would you like to? Of course, because you're incredibly competitive. Yeah, I mean, you don't do anything for the silver or bronze medal, do you? You know, I put my heart and soul into this show, and I believe in this show. I like the fact that there isn't an age limit, that you're going to see a very different type of contestant. So, you know, knowing what I know now... You know what, Piers, even if it didn't work, I still would have had no regrets. You know, because you've got to take risks. And, you know, bad things happen occasionally. But that's what makes life exciting. It's a better idea than Idol. Having there not be an age limit is a better idea. I didn't know he was such an inspirational dude, man. I'm like, I'm inspired. That's pretty badass. Cowell can get kind of mean, but he's very honest. Yes.
I appreciate that. I mean, he says what he really thinks about it, you know? That's what I liked about Idol. This guy, he's got Paula and him. Yeah. They've already beat him. Yeah, I think so, too. And the other deal is it's going to be a very highly produced show, and it's going to draw on your emotions. And from what I saw from their promo about what the show's going to be like, look good, man. Look powerful. Got me, even. Yeah. I can't really get got by shows like that that got me. Yeah, because they'll play on a lot of the stories of these people. I think that's going to touch a lot of people, and I think it's going to work. I bet it kills Idol. I bet it absolutely destroys it. I think it might, man. I bet it does. Gosh darn, that's a big ship to try to bring down. David and Goliath. Except not really. If anybody can do it. It's true. It's that cat. So, Tom Sizemore was arrested again. I know. I know. That guy cannot stay out of trouble. When Woods and I went to Comic-Con last year to get audio, he was supposed to be there. Tom Sizemore, 1 o'clock. And we left at 2, and he still wasn't there, right? He still hadn't showed up yet. But he was arrested yesterday in L.A. Outstanding battery warrant. And he was arrested inside of an apartment building on Wilshire Boulevard. They didn't have any more.
Other than that, he's 49 years old and a great actor, man. Really great actor. You know, I read they were doing a drug bust at the apartment where he was and he was there and they grabbed him because he had the outstanding warrants. Hopefully he wasn't involved with the drugs, but he's had his history there. By the way, just by having Ashton Kutcher on Two and a Half Men. It was seen by 28 million people. They broke a record by having him. Yeah, 28 million people watched it. And I think that he's a popular guy. And I think that they may be able to pick up where they left off, which is tough because Charlie Sheen was really, really popular on his show, too. That's why they were paying him a couple million bucks an episode. But do you watch that show, Hillary? I don't. Two and a half men? Yeah. My wife even said, gosh, I didn't record that. And we never watch it. But I think it was just, everybody wanted to check it out. Everyone wanted to see it. It was a lot of buzz. Mm-hmm. How awkward was Charlie Sheen at the Emmys sort of trying to, you know, be gracious? I heard about that. I mean, he, you know, he was gracious. I didn't see it. What happened at the Emmys?
He came out and looked very awkward and tried to give a sincere, I wish you guys the best of luck kind of a thing before he presented an award. It was very uncomfortable and you didn't know if he was going to like, you know, he inserted these pregnant pauses for applause. Yeah. And people just were like. Dead quiet. It was like, is he kidding or not? Yeah. Is he joking or is this sincera? Yeah, you don't know if he's doing a bit. And he just looks terrible. I thought he looked better, though. Healthy. Yeah, yeah. That's true. I saw him on... Feel for him. He's just... He was on Today Show. Having a rough one. I did not think he looked... Me, personally, I didn't think he looked better. I thought he looked pretty... He looked sickly. He looked the same. He looked sick. Yeah, mentally and physically. Well, he ran into Ashton Kutcher backstage, and they tweeted a picture of the two of them with their arms around each other. Really? And apparently he was like, hey, good luck. Let me tell you, this is how it's going to be. And blah, blah, blah. I gave him his bit and was like, hey, I wish you well.
Yeah, he handled himself out presenting at the Emmys, but it was just weird. You just didn't know what he was going to do. You think Kutcher's heart was racing? Did you see him walk up? Oh, yeah, I'm dead. I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead. He's like, they offered me the job. I don't know why. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. They were asking Charlie Sheen about if he would ever go back, and he was like, oh, yeah, if they asked, you know, he's putting it out there. Wow. And he even said, he's like, and they left the room. The way he goes, you don't actually see like an urn or anything of, you know, the remains of my character. Would be a monster. Like monster rated show. If they ever brought him back. Monster. If the two could coexist because then he'd be a jerk if Ashton lost him. Right. Yeah. Hillary, what do you got coming up next? Oh, I grabbed the Kooks. It was so much fun over the weekend at Bird's Surf Shed. Did a little free show. Space Hog, New Blink-182, Telekinesis, and I'll play some Radiohead. They're going to be busy this weekend. And there's a couple different ways that you can see them in action. So I'll talk about that. That's cool. Ladies and gentlemen, the lovely and talented Hillary is up next. We'll come back tomorrow morning and do it all over again at 6 o'clock. The Mikey Show's out.
Oh, they're listening. Smell sulfur. FM 94.9 is about the music.
